Honda Automobile Model 2025 Honda Pilot

2025 Honda Pilot

The 2025 Honda Pilot is a roomy, versatile, and well-equipped three-row SUV that continues to cater to families needing space, comfort, and towing capability.

Powertrain
It’s powered by a 3.5 L V6 engine generating 285 hp and 262 lb‑ft of torque, paired exclusively with a 10‑speed automatic transmission and offering front-wheel drive as standard. All-wheel drive is optional on most trims (and standard on TrailSport, Elite, and Black Edition)

Performance & Efficiency
The Pilot delivers smooth, quiet acceleration. Front-wheel-drive models tow up to 3,500 lb, while all-wheel-drive versions are rated for 5,000 lb—ideal for trailers, small campers, or ATVs . Fuel economy is rated at around 22 mpg combined (19 city / 27 highway for 2WD; 21 combined for AWD)

Interior & Space
Seating is for seven or eight depending on second-row config. The EX‑L, Touring, and Black Edition trims offer a removable second-row center seat that stows beneath the floor for easier third-row access or added cargo space—all in a clever, practical layout. Second-row legroom measures about 40.8", while the third row offers roughly 32.5"—comfortable for teens or adults on shorter trips . Cargo capacity is approximately 18.6 cu ft behind row three, expanding to 87 cu ft with rear seats folded.

Trim Levels & Features
Honda dropped the base LX for 2025, making Sport the entry point. Available trims include Sport, EX‑L, TrailSport, Touring, Elite, and the new Black Edition. Sport adds heated front seats and upgraded styling, while TrailSport adds a raised suspension and all-terrain tires. Higher trims offer features like leather, Bose audio, panoramic sunroof, power tailgate with Walk Away Close, heads-up display, and premium synthetic or full leather upholstery. Black Edition adds gloss-black exterior accents and red interior stitching on the Elite platform.

Technology & Safety
The Pilot includes a 7" touchscreen on Sport and a 9" unit on higher trims, housed within a recessed dash for tactile ease. Most trims support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Honda Sensing driver aids are standard across all trims, including adaptive cruise with Traffic Jam Assist, natural steering intervention, lane keeping, collision mitigation braking, blind‑spot warning, and traffic sign recognition. Higher trims add surround-view cameras and rear-seat reminders.

On the Road
Reviews praise the Pilot for its effortless driving experience and tight turning circle—one of the smallest in its class—making it surprisingly agile for its size. The TrailSport ride is slightly firmer, but still comfortable, and excels on rougher terrain thanks to its raised suspension and skid plates. Many consider the Pilot more composed and refined than rivals like the Ford Explorer or Toyota Highlander, especially in daily use and long drives.

Pricing
U.S. pricing starts around US $41,295 for the Sport with FWD (destination included), with AWD adding about US $2,100. Touring sits around US $50,695, and the Black Edition tops out near US $56,000. In Canada, examples like Touring sell in the C$60–65k range; Black Edition units can reach C$68k or more out the door according to owner reports .

Owner Impressions
Reddit users stress the Pilot’s practicality and reliability for active families. One owner with six kids described it as “amazing family SUV,” noting the storage capacity and seating flexibility. Another praised its comfort and space for long road trips, though roof racks and heavy use tend to push fuel economy toward ~11.9 L/100 km (~20 mpg) overall. That said, some Black Edition owners report occasional software glitches, infotainment quirks, or less responsive remote-entry features as minor downsides .

Summary
The 2025 Honda Pilot combines strong V6 performance, generous towing, and a supremely practical cabin with modern technology and safety systems. It’s built around family needs—removable seats, top-tier storage, and flexibility—making it a standout midsize SUV for buyers who prioritize comfort, reliability, and utility over sportiness or flash.

I would give ZERO stars but the system wouldnt let me!!!! We WERE a loyal Honda customer until recently. We have had 5 Honda vehicles over the last 20+years and now will no longer buy them again because of a customer service rep. We were having issues with our Minivan (died on the side of the road) and brought it in for a $900 repair. Two weeks later, the same issue happened again. At that time we were told there was a recall issued for Piston rings on cylinders 1-4, which we were unaware of, so we brought it to the dealer. The dealer told us the recall expired 13mths ago so they cant do the work. The svc mgr told us to contact Honda and they may be able to work with us.My husband called and spoke to a rep there who was the worst customer service person we have ever dealt with. She basically told us that Honda sent out 1 warranty letter and because it expired wont do anything for us. My husband explained we never received this letter but she didnt care. He explained we were told Honda would work with us and she said Honda wont work with us, its not their problem anymore. She would not listen to what we had to say, what happened to us due to a defective product in their vehicle or at least try to work with us in any way. She just stated the recall expired. My husband told her that our experience in dealing with her in Customer Service was the worst experience and he would NEVER buy a Honda again. She didnt care and just got off the phone. My husband called back later that afternoon and spoke with a dif rep to complain about our horrible interaction with the previous rep and she apologized and stated she will have the case looked over again for a second review. The next day my husband was called by the very person he complained about and interrogated about the previous makes and models of Hondas we have had in the past. He said he was told he wouldnt have to talk to her again and there was another case manager handling our case and she said no, this is my territory and Im the rep. He then asked for her supervisor 5 times and was told NO, you cant speak to them. He told her we spoke to a dif rep and she said someone will review our case with a different set of eyes and she said we shouldnt have been told that because Honda doesnt do that. She gathered the rest of the info that she needed and left it at that. She said we MAY hear from someone up to 48hrs but she doubts it. Once again, we were not looking to get anything for free. Honda put a defective product out there and we drove it around without knowing of the lingering hazard. They washed their hands of the problem because they did their due diligence and sent out 1 letter. We never saw it and I know thats not their problem, it is ours. We did get stranded because of that issue, we spent $900 because of their issue. We have to spend $3500 because of their issue. The car is not even worth that. So we are out a vehicle. My husband is a retired Police Officer who was injured on the job which ultimately ended his career-he was hit by a drunk driver going 91 miles per hour. We have a limited income and now are out a vehicle because we didnt see a letter. When we told the original rep all this information, she could care less and all she stated was that the recall expired. We told her we would never buy Honda again-she couldnt have cared less. So...sorry Honda. You are losing a loyal customer because of your customer svc rep and their lack of compassion and understanding. You are losing a loyal customer because of your lack of standing by your product and having a family drive around in a defective vehicle that put us at harms way.

On 23 December I was in an accident with my 2011 CRZ, a very luck buck jump
On 23 December I was in an accident with my 2011 CRZ, a very luck buck jumped in my line of traffic. I actually have three complaints against Honda.1. As my vehicle was totally disabled, I called Honda Road Side Assistance. Because of the incompetence of the employee that took my call it took over one hour before a tow truck was dispatched. It is my understanding that service call does not originate in Alberta; that was a huge problem because of my location the gentleman on the phone refused to call a tow truck until he could find me on his map. I told him to just call a local tow truck company and they would know actually where I was. From the time I place the call until the tow truck came it was almost 2 hours.2. I phoned Sherwood Park Honda and asked to speak to a manager with regards to road side assistance. He said it was not his problem and I would have to wait to get a call from Road Side Assistance and I could log my complaint and promptly hung up--no customer service.3. This is the biggie for me. On January 12, 2012 I was informed by the company that was fixing my car that Honda Canada did not have the parts for my car and I could be waiting until possibility the end of February. I telephoned Honda customer service at 888 946 6329 and spoke to a Dennis and told him my problem. He said that he could not help me. If it were a warranty problem then that would be different. I informed that I did not think I had to ask the question, If my car is in accident, do you have the parts to fix it? because I assure I would not have purchased the car. He asked what company was fixing my car and put me on hold for 45 minutes so he could speak to the company that was fixing my car. He came back on line and told me that he had spoken to them and that they had all the parts but one and if would be next. I asked him again if Honda Canada could help and he very rudely told me no. I then told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor and he flatly refused and said it was his call and the answer was no. Funny thing the company fixing my car called the very next day and they never talked to Dennis. I am extremely with the after care I have received from Honda. I purchased this car because I thought they were a company I could trust. Apparently not. I can assure this will be my one and only Honda.

I am the original owner of a 2001 Honda Accord with 75000 miles. Yes, it is out of warranty, but the transmission is slipping, it should not go at this point. Also, I brought in my car for a recall on the airbags now (never a problem), now the airbag light is on was told nothing comes up on the computer and dont put my purse on the front seat. Really? Is that the best they have? Im disgusted, never another Honda.

I purchased a new 2009 Honda Accord Coupe, 4 cylinder, and after about 35,000 miles, I started experiencing excessive oil consumption. Oil is being lost at the rate of 1 qt. per 1,000 miles. I do not see any oil on my garage floor, so I can only assume it is burning it slowly. This is my second Accord, by the way, and I drive 25,000 miles per year, so I know darn well what the usage rate is. I went online to see if any other people had experienced this, and was surprised to find out that many other owners are having this problem, all across the US, in fact. The car was under warranty, so I called American Honda, and they told me to take it to a dealer, so that a diagnostic could be run, but they admitted that there was a recall for this problem. They said there was a software update, which should solve the problem. I was highly skeptical that software could fix it, but I played along. The next day, I took the car to Herb Chambers Honda in Burlington, MA for a diagnostic. They didnt see anything in the codes, and no visible signs of leakage. They did the software upgrade, and changed the oil, and told me to come back when (if) the oil level hit the low point on the dip stick. At about 2,700 miles, 1/27/12, the oil light came on today. I took the car back today, and they told me it had a little over 2 quarts of oil in it. It lost roughly 2 quarts per 1,000 miles. There was no change after the software upgrade at all. Actually, there was a change. My gas mileage went from high 20s to low 20s on the highway. They actually made the car worse. The dealer told me that 1 quart per 1,000 miles is normal for any car. I almost fell over, when they said that. In all my years of driving, including cars from the 60s and 70s, I have never seen a car come anywhere close to that. They actually thought I would buy that story. It is unbelievable! So, I called American Honda, to speak with the case manager that had been assigned to my case, and was expecting him to be all apologetic, and say that they would resolve the problem. Not a chance! He used the same line the dealer did, with the 1 qt. per 1,000 miles being normal usage. I was outraged! I just couldnt believe it. A multiple car Honda owner, and they didnt care the slightest about me, or their product. They could have made a customer for life by fixing it, but instead, they made an enemy for life. Now, Im stuck with a 2 year old piece of junk, and have no choice but to trade it in. Ill never buy another product from Honda, ever again, and I will be sure tell my story to everyone I come in contact with.

I received a letter recently advising me of yet another recall for my Honda Jazz. I do not work and to have to pay out for petrol to get there and back to my local dealership and for a courtesy car is not possible. I called the local dealership to book an appointment for my car and was told I would either have to sit in their building whilst the work was done, pay out for a courtesy car or be dropped off and picked up from the local retail park.I am thoroughly ** Off with Honda and your customer service team. On the 25/01/16 I was told that you do not offer any sort of compensation or help to be able to leave my car with one of your dealerships for 2 and a half hours due to a recall. This is the third recall and you want me to pay out for your errors. My local dealership is out in the middle of nowhere and 5 miles plus from my home. The retail park is a small one and would not be enough to keep me occupied for two and a half hours, so that option is out. I cannot pay out for a courtesy car as I have advised. My only option now is to waste two and a half hours sat in the local dealership when I have other things to do.This is not good customer service or practice. You ought to have a facility to deal with the situations as they occur, not to have staff read out your policies and scripted replies. I also think that nobody should buy Honda as you obviously dont know how to make good cars as you would not need all of these recalls if you did. As you can see I am not happy with Honda and as things stand will be looking to never use Honda again. If this had been a one off it would be different but with so many recalls I feel you are now taking the michael as it were. I await your response.

I purchased a 2012 Accord Crosstour last fall. It is top of the line, two wheel drive. After running 5 full tanks of gasoline, I averaged between 19.375 and 20.375 mpg consistently in that range (half city and half interstate driving). I called Eskridge Honda, where I bought it and told them my problem. I live in Shawnee, OK, about 40 miles East of Eskridge, the Oklahoma City dealer. The person at Eskridge told me to bring it in. I did and when the maintenance manager looked at the mileage, which was then around 340 miles, he said to me, sorry, Honda will not let me touch this car until it has 10,000 miles on it. I now have over 2,000 miles on the car (02/06/2012). I still get the same mileage per full tank. I think this is one of the best looking cars on the road. It is black outside with black inside trim. I really dont understand the 10,000 miles requirement before the car can be checked out. I have bought several new cars in my lifetime. My last three cars have been Hondas, an accord (top of the line with navigation) and the one before that was a Civic (top of the line with navigation). I got the kind of gas mileage the sticker stated, very good. They got good gas mileage during the first tank of gas that I ran through them and did the last tank of gas that I ran through them. That has been my experience with every car that I ever bought. Always a new car would get the best gas mileage when it was brand new than later on. This talk about it needs to be broke in first has never panned out with the experience that I have had. I am writing this email mainly to check if this in fact Hondas policy. I would like to hear back from you but not from an attorney. Just tell me if this is your policy that you wont check the car out until it has 10,000 miles on the odometer.

My daughter was involved in an accident on Saturday, August 27th. Shes driving a 2003 Honda Accord 4-door. In the morning, she had a flat tire. So, one of the tires is just a spare tire. On her way home from work that day, she took Highway 54. She spun around, hitting the railings. The four tires blew. The passenger side airbag deployed even without a passenger. The driver side airbag did not deploy.

I bought a Honda Dio in August 2011. The self-start of the vehicle stopped working within 15 days from the day of purchase. Following this, the horn, headlight dipper, and the indicators all stopped working. We had to take the vehicle to the service station several number of times. The Sudarshan Motors Service Station in Nagpur charged the battery 6-7 times and replaced it twice, yet the problem remains. The people at the service station are clueless and very rude. It is annoying to take the vehicle there and leave it for a couple of days.

Honda fuel door: 2017 Honda Ridgeline. There is an outside door with weatherstripping, however, dust can get between the door and the capless filler opening and then on into the hose leading to the cannister. There is a flap at the end of the hose going to the tank, and there is another flap inside at the top of the hose. Between the two flaps, there is a small hole at the bottom of the filler neck, approximately 1/4 by 3/8. Dust can get between these two flaps and be sucked into the hose leading to the canister, eventually plugging it and setting the error code. This is a design error for a pickup which is advertised for use on dirt, mud, and snow. Though there is weatherstripping on the outside door, there are two small drainage holes inside the door. These two holes empty just ahead of the rear wheel. Dust can enter either through the outside door seal or through the drainage holes. At the least, there should not have been a hole between the two flaps without some type of filter, allowing dust to collect just in front of the second flap and be sucked into the cannister. Though one could clean the outside flap before filling the tank, that is not possible between the two flaps, and while driving dust can be sucked into the line going to the canister. I think Honda should pay to have the line cleaned and the canister changed if necessary.History: At about 18,000 miles the check engine light came on, emissions problem. I took the pickup to Mistlin Honda in Modesto, CA, on November 13, 2018. Their report was that the car was dirty underneath, reset the computer and told me it would not happen again. The check engine light came on again at about 23,000 miles. I took the pickup in again on May 28, 2019. That time I was told there was dust in the system and it was not covered under warranty.I called Honda at 1-800-999-1009 and spoke with a rep who assigned the call to case #** and was referred to Lovette, same number, Ext **. She called me back on August 1st and after I explained the issue to her, told me to call Dennis **, Service Manager at Mistlin Honda, 549-5000, Ext **. She said he would be able to agree that the problem should be covered under warranty. Dennis told me he was not authorized to do such a thing and I would have to talk to someone at Honda to authorize such a repair.I called her back to tell her that Dennis told me he can’t do that. I left a message; since then I have called three times but she never returned my calls. Called Aug. 9 and got another rep who was of no help. Said a case manager will call me within three working days. Old case manager, Lovette finally called back and told me, essentially, tough. Last Honda I’ll ever buy. Have a Subaru with over 200,000 miles, same environment and no problems. Ready to replace it – will be with another Subaru.

I purchased a 2022 Honda HRV from Honda dealership, Carbone Honda, who sold to LED. My car stalled a couple times and salesperson said it was the energy saving feature, not really stalling. I had aftermarket car starter installed. Then car became difficult to start and stopped while driving on highway. They blamed the car starter and charged me to remove it and restore to factory. On my way home it shut off again. They then determined the washer holding the main ground wire was not staying locked and replaced it. Told me it wasn’t the car starter. I’m out $550 for car starter and removal of it. I’m afraid to put it back in because any issue will be blamed on it. I’m being bullied into buying their product. They refuse to return my money and I drove the car unsafely for a couple of months. I was basically called a liar by the Service Manager 12/17/21. Offered to discount factory car starter to $650 + tax and $100 loyalty card if I met the Honda Rep and signed a release. Honda Corp has an open case but always tell me that all they can do is talk to dealership. Whenever you call dealership no one answers, was told they had no receptionist in Service so they answer when they are not busy. I will never buy from Honda again!!

We were looking at vehicles to replace 2 we had. We have both retired and really dont need 2 cars. I had purchased a Spyder Eclipse 4 yrs ago which I had hated 1 hr past taking it home and a Nissan. The Honda dealership we were familiar with I had test drove cars there before. We went there after we got a online sale price. They were wonderful to deal with. Answered all our questions. Took both cars as trade-ins. Explained all the bells and whistles of the car to us. I love that it is 4 wheel drive-a crossover from a SUV. The back seats fold down completely. The back doors blend in giving the car an awesome look plus it has the wiper in the back window, cameras in the back and on the right to turn.

I am a very frustrated owner of Honda Accord 2.0 VTi-L, Full Spec, VTEC with plate no **, registered in Penang, Malaysia. Ive been maintaining my vehicle in your service center namely KAH Motor located in Sungai Pinang, Penang, Malaysia. Six months back, I had complained about sounds from the bottom of my car bonnet. The service engineer helped to check, but could not find the root cause of the sound. Id sent my car for checking for 3 times during the past 6 months, no results. Finally, a month back they told me they found the cause. But, the spare parts need to be ordered from others. They said theyd filed a complaint to Honda HQ and the warranty claim has been approved, spare part should be arriving within 1st week of Apr.12. Sadly, they did not update me even after 15/4/12. When I called up, they said the spare part had not arrived and they do not know when it is arriving. What an irresponsible answer?! They didnt even bother to highlight my problem to their top management and get my case solved. After all, Ive been waiting for 6 months to confirm the root cause of the sounds. And now, another infinity date to wait for the repairs?! This is totally unacceptable! I am a heavy user of this vehicle and I need to be safe on the road. I need this to be resolved.

I went to a Honda dealer local in Jefferson City, MO on Monday, April 29th, in the evening to look at new Honda Accords. We could not come up with an agreement for $16,000 that was offered for my 2012 Accord from a local Kia car dealer. I asked for the keys to my used 2012 Accord back from the used car manager. He refused to hand the keys back over to me. At this point, I was very loud and demanded my keys back stating I could not deal with him on a new 2013 new Accord and wanted to leave. He asked me to sit down. I refused then he kept badgering me till I finally signed paperwork on a new 2013 Accord. By this time, 8:45 pm, almost an hour after the dealership already closed, I signed paperwork for a new car. I did not even drive the new car off the lot of the dealership. I slept very poorly that evening! I went to the Honda dealership as soon as they opened that morning, Tuesday April 30th, and tried my very best to explain that I felt that I was rushed/forced to buy that car that night and wanted to pay for any and all paperwork cost that was created on my behalf. The used car manager then proceeded to tell me that it was a done deal and I had already bought the new Accord keeping in mind I never even had time or a chance to drive the car. I offered $500 or whatever it took to reverse the paperwork. The manager stated all the paperwork was already turned in and I now owned the car and there was nothing I can do about it. The new car still sits at the dealer. I told them not to pre-deliver it or install any of the options that were wanted. They refused to comply so then I contacted my attorney to ask for legal help in the matter. Please note this is the 5th new car I have bought from this dealer so I have been a loyal Honda customer to Honda and the Honda dealership. Right now, I am worried about my near perfect credit score as a result from this mess. I am very angry at the high pressure sales and lack of cooperation from this dealership even when I never drove the new car and I am willing to pay for any and all inconvenience. This has been a very bad experience and I would highly recommend going to another dealership.

I have had my 2009 Fit since 2010 now with 67K miles. Put snow tires on and handles much better. Every few months, winter and summer, the climate control all setting has mold - can tell because of the horrible smell. I have gotten very sick, now I open the windows (not what I want to do!) and shoot bleach into the vents. I have changed the air filter multiple times, it is not the air filter. This is a poor design on Hondas part - there is a complaint on the FitFreak board. This is a health and safety major flaw and I am frustrated and disgusted. I have owned multiple cars and used them the same way. This is the first car I have ever had with this severe problem. Id love it if honda made things right but I know they dont give a crap.

We bought our van in Oct 2015, it only had 30 some thousand miles on it. Nov 2016 the engine light came on. Long story short we had to replace all 6 spark plugs. It came up misfire codes. The plugs were black and 1 was actually melted. Our mechanic thought that was strange, but replaced them, 500 bucks later. 8 months later, check engine light again... misfire code for cylinder 1 again, spark plugs were just changed not long ago, so we changed out coil packs. 1 month later again with the engine light... but now its misfire and catalyst codes. Ok, maybe coil packs were defective... there should be no problem with the plugs, they are less than a year old. Change out coil packs, reset codes. 3months later engine light again, wth! Ok, so maybe its just a computer glitch or something, were replaced stuff already. Same codes, reset them and went along with life.Dec 2017, engine light again, then ABS light and another light, I forget which one, but the 2 are lights that have nothing to do with the engine. Still same codes, misfire and catalyst. Within 2 days the lights all went out. Whatever, just dont have time for crap, and van seemed ok I guess. Then last week, engine light came on, van broke down. Got it to mechanic. Same codes, misfire and catalyst. Plugs are black again. Van has 112k miles on it now. Now my mechanic does some research, because this should not be happening, plus we were low on oil and not due for an oil change yet which we faithfully do. So he finds there was a lawsuit against Honda for the same exact issue going on with my van. For Odyssey up to 2013, well mines a 2013. So they send it to a Honda dealer.Dealer puts in vin, no problem just have to make sure the codes stay, take pictures and submit everything to Honda. Done. Get a call today. Technically my van is not covered under the extended warranty from the lawsuit. So they offer me a courtesy offer, I pay 60% and they pay 40%. I dont think so! Not only is this the 2nd time my van is going in for this repair, but my catalytic converter is now affected because of it, and they want me to pay 900 bucks! My vin is 1 number off from the lawsuits, but I have the same exact engine as those in the lawsuit and the same problem and Honda thinks they are gonna make me pay for repairs for something that is a known problem. They tell me they have nothing else to offer me. Prove to me my engine was affected at the time just because my vin is 1 number off, but yet its the same exact problem that Honda tried to hide before and want me to pay for, well 60% and they pay 40%. Hmmmm???? I made a claim with American Honda, they didnt do crap, and Im still waiting to hear from the District Manager that told the service guy to offer me the deal. Yeah, Im not stupid! And Im at 3 hours later and still havent heard back from anyone.Honda already had 1 lawsuit against them for this problem, and they Im well aware of it but still want to do nothing about it except make me pay over 900 bucks to fix a problem that is apparently a problem Honda has had with many of these engines. Unfortunately we travel a lot, but keep up with the maintenance on our van. Yes it has 112k, but Honda engines are supposed to be really good. They had a problem with this particular engine and now dont want to fix mine on their end.

My mom owns a Honda and her car recently had a problem with the transmission (I think). She went to the Honda dealership in Battle Creek, Michigan to get a check up on her car and they declined all services. It seems like a blacklist system, but only for my mom. In the previous maintenance, they put a small dent on the car and declined. My mom isnt American and her English is hard to understand but she has a very good credit score. So what kind of service is that? I am disappointed on how Honda dealership can decline services for Honda owners who cant get their Honda repaired from Honda.

Service representative by the of ** said that the warranty only covers 12,000 miles. Unfortunately they will have to charge me. He then stated that he had done some research and found that he was told that the lock/locks are FAULTY in certain model Hondas!!! If so why wouldnt Honda replace the door channel/channels with a more sufficient part for their vehicles. I AM A VERY VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER.

Bronx Honda refused to perform services due to a poor evaluation - Two years ago, I had some service work done and I was not happy so I gave Bronx Honda a poor evaluation. Yesterday, I went in for services and the service manager refused to service my vehicle because of my evaluation. I dont understand why we are asked for a survey of the dealers performance and then if the dealer is not happy with our suggestion, they can refuse services. Why own a Honda if the local dealer is not going to service your vehicle? I was also told that recall work cannot be refused, but they did refuse to perform my recall work. They also made me order and pay for the part, then refused services.

I would highly advise against ever purchasing a Honda vehicle as they have very sketchy lease turn in practices. My husband (a former Honda technician) and I turned in our 2 vehicles with the intent of purchasing 2 new Hondas, however they did not have any good deals going on so we chose to go with another brand. A month after turning our vehicles in we received a letter stating we owe close to 400 dollars for what I would consider to be normal wear and tear on my husbands vehicle (one small dent on one of the doors, a small tear in the floor under the accelerator and a small crack in the windshield which had just been replaced a few month prior, and had they told us this we could have gotten it fixed free through our insurance.) Our person who sold us our new vehicles told us they are pissed because we didnt purchase Hondas again, oh well we would have if they were more willing to make a deal!Apparently on their website somewhere it says in fine print that before turning your vehicle in you can have your own inspection done. Who in their right mind would think to go looking for something like this, or even think that they would need to do this. Our vehicles sat on the lot where they were turned in for 11 days before they were inspected by someone from Honda, we did not turn them in with a crack in the windshield and dent in the door so this obviously happened while in their possession.Following a few letters from an attorney on our behalf acknowledging that we are willing to pay to replace the carpet (even though I feel it is normal wear and tear) but we feel the other things are not our responsibility, Honda sent the matter to a collection agency without even trying to remedy the situation. Honda did not even reach out to discuss this matter with us, they just dismissed it completely showing they dont really care about their customers being happy. Had this have been resolved in a better manner, in 3 years when our leases are up if they had good deals going on we would have gone back to Honda, however now we will NEVER purchase a Honda vehicle again. I will also advise anyone we know who is thinking about purchasing a Honda vehicle not to for the rest of my life!

I purchased a used Honda vehicle, 2014 model, in great condition. After paying 19K for this vehicle, after the first month of owning this vehicle the paint start peeling off the trunk door (Honda Odyssey), and around the door frames. After doing some research I found out that there was a defect with the paint used on Honda Odysseys for the year of my vehicle. Honda knew about this defect and so extended their warranty for 7 years, great. However, for those of us purchasing a vehicle used because we cant afford to purchase new, we dont find out about FACTORY DEFECTS until after the crap hits the fan. I called Hondas customer service line and was rejected, I asked to be sent to mediation. They told me I would hear back in 3-5 days but after a month I heard nothing. I called back, they told me I would hear back by the end of the day, nothing again. I called the following day and was told Id hear back, nothing AGAIN. Another week goes by and I call AGAIN, and finally reach somebody who tells me that I made the choice to buy used and out of warranty so Im out of luck, despite the now compromised frame and body of my vehicle, and the structural damage that will occur (hello safety concern when the frame of my vehicle rusts to ** because of a defect Honda knows about but doesnt care to handle). This customer service experience has been HORRIBLE, and what makes it worse is the Honda KNOWS they produced and mass sold a vehicle with faulty paint, and its those of us who have to purchased used, not able to afford new, who have to incur the further financial hit to try to fix this issue. Just over one month I had this car, meticulously taken care of, mint condition, not owner neglect, but rather Honda neglect, and this multimillion-dollar company refuses to fix the problem they created. Good one.

I have purchased about 10 Honda vehicles in the past 15 years, 4 of which have been Honda Ridgelines. I havent had any issues with any of them, until now. My current 2017 Ridgeline came with a toxic odor in the in-bed trunk. Every time you open the trunk, the smell comes pouring out. Anything you put in the trunk comes out smelling of the chemical. I have tried cleaning it out numerous times and even brought it to the dealership, where they tried to get rid of the smell three times. Nothing works. When I called American Honda, they stated that all of the 2017 Honda Ridgelines have the smell - the smell is from an epoxy they use to seal the trunk and there is nothing you can do to get rid of it, other than waiting for it to fade away. I have been waiting for seven months, and the smell is as strong as ever. American Honda refuses to do anything about it. Seems like they did not learn anything from the Takata airbag disaster.

I have Honda Civic 2016 model. When I bought vehicle dealer told me that it has 3 year bumper to bumper and 5 year main part (engine warranty). On 31st Friday I was going with my wife on Steels Ave. Suddenly I heard a big sound in in my vehicles front side. After that vehicle speeds start reducing then I pulled my car to the side. And entered into one plaza parking. Then my cars all engine oil got leaked. I talk to my dealer and they told me that my car is under warranty because Honda covers 5 years engine warranty. Then I called roadside assistance then dropped my vehicle at Family Honda, Brampton at around 7:30 but dealer was closed that time.Next day my wife went to dealer and tell them everything. They said, We will check and most probably your vehicle is covered under warranty. On next day they told me that car engine piston is broken thats why all this things happen. Today June 6 service guy from Family Honda told me that Honda denied to cover my vehicle under warranty. They told him that my vehicle is undergone any flooding condition thats why water entered into engine and vehicles engine stopped working. They also blamed me that I never did my last service from Honda authorized dealership. I tried to book service appointment with Honda dealer but I couldnt find any date within 3 weeks. My cars engine oil life was zero so I changed my cars engine oil and filter from outside. I used synthetic oil and best quality filter for service. After talking to service guy I talk to direct Honda service agent. I gave her my car detail and dealers service guy number. She put me on hold and talk to service guy. After hold she totally denied that my vehicle is not under warranty and I never did properly car service (I have audio recording). This is the worst experience that. Im using Honda because of its brand name and service quality but reality is that its all totally fake. They want me claim insurance as my vehicles engine is still under warranty. My email is **. Please help me so that I can I can fight and get justice.

It works on and off once every 2 weeks I can unlock and open, every other time I have to throw things in trunk through back seat. These things are definitely not from wear and tear, have never had issues like this in any other car I have owned. Of course I was told through dealership that all of the above is only covered in first 3 years.

Recently, I bought (April 2011) a 1997 Honda Passport with a blown head for next to nothing. I purchased the vehicle for my two kids to get back and forth from college. I then dumped a couple grand into fixing it. Then in June, I noticed big chunks of rusted steel on my driveway under where the Passport was parked. I crawled underneath it, only to find that the chassis was so rusted out in places that I could place my whole fist into the holes (especially right under the passenger seat/door). I was also able to grab handfuls of rusted and corroded steel from inside the cavity along the chassis.I immediately called the Honda Recall Hotline, and they indicated to me that there was no recall for the 1997 Chassis, but there was a recall starting in 1998 on the frame. “Not to worry”, they said. I was to take it to the dealer to have them access the situation and determine next steps. So, I parked the vehicle in the driveway, and prohibited any one from driving it. I have been so busy with work, but I finally got around to calling the dealer in my area (Roush). They instructed me to set an appointment for them to do a diagnostic check. Oh, and that they will have to charge me for the diagnostic analysis. I told them that it was a bunch of bunk having it; I did not want to pay them any fees. All one has to do is get on their knees; look under the car, and come to the diagnosis that I came to that there is obviously a defect for the steel to be so rusted, that you could put your fist into several areas. Obviously, you do not need to be a rocket surgeon to figure it out, nor do you need to place it on a rack to make an official diagnosis, let alone charge me for it. I told them that I would send them 1000 FREE diagnostic pictures that they could use for their analysis.Since that did not get me anywhere, I asked for Hondas number because I wanted to chat with a regional/district manager in order to obtain approval for the dealer to waive the diagnostic fee. I got the runaround from Heather in recalls. She said that I needed to go back to the dealer; since my vehicle had no recall, she could not obtain approval for a free diagnostic check. She also would not provide me with the district managers name for Honda. She said to me that I needed to get that information from the dealer.I then proceeded to voice my concern on this, and told her that the vehicle isnt safe to be driving even to the dealer. She offered absolutely no concern, nor any valuable customer service. Based on this Honda experience and previous experience with a GMC vehicle, I can tell you GMCs customer service department blows Hondas away. So, now I have to call Roush back in order to obtain the Honda district managers name and number. It makes absolutely no sense and is totally a runaround. I bought the Passport because it was a Honda, only to find out that it is an ISUZU.Honda evidently paid ISUZU to manufacture the Passports which was Hondas entrance into the SUV market. Now I have what I thought was a Honda, which is actually an ISUZU. No wonder why the frame is crap. If you happen to own a Honda Passport manufactured in the years 1995 (first year), 1996 and 1997, check your chassis. If anyone else has this problem, please let me know if you have been able to rectify it with Honda.

I purchased a new 2006 Honda Civic LX and now, 5 years and 41,000 miles later, the paint is fading and the clear coat is disintegrating! I regularly get my car cleaned and waxed, so it is not neglect. I park my car outside and the paint/clear coat should hold up! I went to Braman Honda in Lake Worth and they said my car was out of warranty - 3 years or 36,000miles. I got an estimate to repaint the roof and trunk lid (the hood had been repaired in Jan. 2011 due to a fender bender) and it will be $671 to repair. I am in the process of getting another estimate. There was a class-action suit for the visors in this vehicle and Honda extended the warranty for those to 7 years. Rather than improving on the design of the visor, they will replace it and after 7 years you are out of luck. I am pretty disgusted at this paint situation and even more so, since I see this is a prevalent problem with Honda - using poor paint and clear coat. I love my 2006 Honda Civic LX Coupe. It is a beautiful car and mechanically, it is fantastic. My friend just bought a 2012 Honda Civic EX. It is beautiful and I am reluctant to upgrade to a Honda because of this paint problem, unless I plan to repaint the car at a cost around $2,300 - $3,000. Honda, what is wrong with you guys? Please improve your paint and you will get rid of a lot of headaches! I want Honda to pay to have my car repainted with good quality paint. This car should last another five years, at least.

This is in regard to the many engine problems that I have been facing since the purchase of my Aviator. Its battery went dead exactly the second day from purchase. It had to be hauled to the showroom where it was put right, and we were told that it will not give rise to any more problems. Three months and it stops flat on my way to college. Nothing would start it. I had to request a nearby mechanic who resolved the problem. It worked fine for another few months and on one outing with friends; it starts misfiring and stops dead on an uphill road. I had to haul it all the way back to the city and get it repaired. And as if it werent enough, it always used to misfire from time to time. I got it to Hyderabad when I joined Wipro and came here to work.It worked fine three months and then the self-start stopped working. I gave it to the showroom for a service and repair, and it was given back to me with assurance that nothing would go wrong. When I took it back again because the repaired self was still giving me trouble, the mechanic tinkered around a bit and it started working. I asked him to check if the bike needed an oil change or a service, and he denied. One fine day, the horn suddenly stopped working. On the way to the showroom, the bike suddenly stopped dead (The self was still not working, by the way!).Another visit to the showroom and they say that the engine is damaged because there was no engine oil. And now, they tell me I should replace my engine and it will cost 12,000 rupees. If I sell my bike, I will get only 20,000 rupees. I had invested up to 60,000 rupees in the bike. And it has been just 2 years since its purchase. Even the loan on the bike is not yet cleared. What quality is this that hassles your customers so? I request you to kindly replace the bike and if that is not plausible, kindly do replace the engine, at least. If I had enough proofs, I would have certainly gone to the consumer court. Unfortunately, you got lucky there. I never thought buying my favorite bike would be so expensive.

On Friday, January 11th, 2013, I left Massachusetts and drove up to New Brunswick, Canada which is about a 9-hour ride. Upon arrival that evening, I parked my car in the driveway and left it sit as usual overnight. Next morning, I unlocked the door and opened the drivers side to a smell of burnt plastic and smoke. Immediately, I noticed the dash info screen and GPS area was melted and realized my passenger side floor was burnt. The glove compartment was melted shut and all wiring was exposed. The windshield was completely smoked up and the ceiling too. I was immediately in touch with my local agent at the Herb Chambers Seekonk, Mass location and they were all pretty worried at the moment and requested that I buy a flight back to Mass, which I did with their approval and reimbursement authorization from Honda. My agent requested that I drop the car off at the local Honda dealership in New Brunswick and I returned back to Massachusetts the day after. My local Honda Herb Chambers has informed me that they will not help me and have requested that I return their loaner car which I also had to do.Remember that only 14 months ago I bought a brand new 2012 Honda Crosstour from them full warranty but they still have told me that I am on my own and that I have to deal with American Honda which has been a total nightmare. The car was shipped back on US ground and brought to Maine where the dept manager took a few pictures and looked over the damage but did not go in to the dash or look internally. I did contact this gentleman and asked him what he thought happened and he said that based on what he saw, it was clearly a faulty wire or condensation started fire due to the change in cold weather.I have since then tried to connect with several people at American Honda in Torrance, CA to try and help me and at least identify what really happened here but Honda has refused to help or further investigate or even acknowledge some sort of defect or internal issue with their brand new 2012 Honda Crosstour. This totally boggles my mind how a corporation like Honda could do this.Wouldnt Honda want to know what happened and how to fix this issue moving forward? They have no respect, no sympathy and they try to consider themselves as a reputable company? Honda America needs to do something so that all parties can be notified properly and if any further issues with the Crosstour can be rectified before further damage or even death occurs. If anyone knows what I should do here, please let me know.

There has been a recall on the Honda Insight. I had my car repaired before the recall happened. They have offered to reimburse after the recall happened. I sent in all the forms needed to make this happen. I have spoken to Luis at customer service many times. They are now asking for the receipts of the actual parts bought by the garage that fixed my car. That garage is asking for a $75 fee to do this. Honda does not want to pay it. I do not want to spend any more money on this. The repairs are a good $500 less than what Honda quoted to fix it. I feel they are doing this to drag it out. In hopes that I will not pursue the refund. I am disappointed that I have been given the runaround. This is a defect on the car which I had fixed for less than what they would have paid. They should pay the $75 fee to get receipts.

I replaced a Lincoln that I was constantly having to fix and it was very expensive do so. I tried out several different models of cars and chose the Honda Accord. Ive had it for a year and Im very pleased with everything about it. It drives and handles well. It provides me with a reliable ride. The ride is smooth and its comfortable for both the driver and passengers during trip. I decided on the color black. I like the sport option, I like the look of the dual exhaust and the spoiler on the trunk. It also has great mileage, the trunk is very roomy, and has power that I was accustomed to. On the other hand, the leather seats would be nice and I miss having heated seats, rain guards on the windows too. I plan on purchasing them. A 6 disc changer is something I miss about my other car as well.

Transmission of 2002 Accord fails April 2011 (at 23,000 miles). Cost is $1867 to fix plus towing. Another part of the transmission (TCC Solenoid) fails January 2012 (at 27,252 miles), costing $864 to replace. Responding for the second time to the summer 2011 Honda recall for an airbag repair—response number 1 in September 2011 and response number 2 in December 2011—I was asked to come on a specific day in January 2012 to have it repaired. I went but Superior Honda of N.O. did not have the part. When they got the part and fixed it they told me that the OPDS sensor needed repair and I had no airbag coverage at all. I learned later that this problem was under warranty until one day before the repair was made. This was only $300, not the $3,000 transmission fiasco (including a guess at towing cost). I think Superior should extend the warranty one day since if they responded properly to the September request or had the part for the recall work, the OPDS sensor would have been under extended warranty (Spring 2006 letter from Honda).

March 2016, I received a safety recall notice from Honda advising me that the airbags in my 2008 Honda CR-V were defective and if deployed, could cause injury or death. The notice went on to say that the replacements parts to make the necessary repairs were not available and may not be available for months, but offered to provide a replacement vehicle if desired, at no cost to me.Now, since they had advised me that driving my car could result in my death, and offered free alternate transportation, I thought it would be foolish to continue to drive the car. So, I took my car to the dealer where I purchased the car from, Gillman Honda, in Schertz Texas. They had no cars available to loan, but offered to provide me with an Enterprise Rental. As there had been a major hailstorm in the Greater San Antonio area a couple of days before, Enterprise had no suitable vehicles. I was therefore advised to attempt to rent a vehicle on my own and I would be reimbursed up to $35 per day.I placed several calls and found a suitable vehicle at an Avis franchise operation. After a month, the car had to be returned in accordance with Avis policy, at which time, we rented another similar vehicle. About half a month into the second rental, I received a call from Gillman Honda telling me that they had made an agreement with Hertz to rent cars to Honda owners affected by the recall and needed alternate transportation. So, I turned in the rental car, and rented a vehicle from Hertz with Gillman Hondas approval for the remainder of the time Gillman was waiting on the necessary parts, which turned out to be in August. In all, I had 2 Hertz vehicles for about 2 months. (It is also necessary to return Hertz vehicles after a month for safety reasons.) After I received my repaired vehicle in August, I sent evidence of my out of pocket expenses (rental agreements) along with the Gillman invoice describing the repair. In September, I contacted Honda to make sure that they had received the documentation, to be told that my claim for reimbursement was denied because it couldnt be verified that I had actually paid the charges to Avis. I then sent copies of my American Express statements showing the charges and subsequent payments. I was told at that time by the case worker at Honda, that I would be reimbursed in 6 to 8 weeks. That was September 2016. After November, repeated calls have resulted in the same answer, Its under review. In December of 2016, I received a bill from Hertz saying that because Honda had not paid for the vehicle they had provided me, I was legally responsible all charges incurred. A phone call to Hertz revealed that Honda owed them MILLIONS of dollars and had not responded to repeated phone calls. It appears Honda does not intend to, or has been advised not to pay for charges incurred as a result of the Takata airbag recall. It is impossible to reach anyone other than the Its under review people who clearly cannot help. The parts are evidently available now, so you may not have to have alternate transportation for any length of time, but if you do, be careful of any financial exposure.

I called them several times. The pressure on the wand built up and my husband could not get it to release. They told us to take it to a repair shop. I told them it is a safety issue, if someone was around when that pressure released, it would hurt anyone close by and I did not want to load it and haul it for that reason. It was a commercial heavy duty washer, which we thought would last longer, it is about 3 yrs. old. It is used maybe twice a month, and just for personal use at home.Needless to say it is just sitting out our way so when it blows hopefully no one will get hurt. If they do, I told Dewalt they will be responsible as they have been told and chose to do nothing about it.

The purpose to express how disappointed I am with the manner in which a recent concern was handled by Honda Customer Service. To give some background, I purchased a 2014 Honda Accord Coupe in June of 2017. Roughly two months after, the car began to have problems where to vehicle would not start the first time I pushed the start button. Over the next few day, the problem became progressively worse. I took to vehicle into the Heritage Honda in Towson, Maryland and reported the matter to the service manager, John ** who informed me that there was nothing he could do until the problem could be recreated. Please keep in mind that the vehicle had not reached 36K miles when I brought in for it to be checked. Fast forward to October 7, 2017 when I took the vehicle in for a recall repair and explained to the technician the same problems I shared with John. Again, I was told there was nothing they could do. I left the vehicle to have the recall repair completed and received a call from the service advisor who notified me that I needed to replace the starter. I was very shocked to hear this, as I stated before the car had JUST hit 36K miles before I brought it in for repair. She gave the cost of the repair, and I approved it.After doing some research when these symptoms with the intermittent starting began, I see that this has been an ongoing problem with Hondas since. There was even a service bulletin for this very issue for 2014 Honda Accord (V6). So my question is, if there was a problem with the starter for the same year and model of my car (minus the V6 engine) why wouldn’t your company recall vehicles that were not V6? That seems like the fair thing to do.Needless to say that I am not a very happy Honda owner at this time. I have been a very loyal Honda supporter, and would like to continue to do so. I feel Honda should do was is morally right and reimburse me for the monies I paid to replace the starter. I have been working with Allen in customer service with the hopes of amicably resolving this matter, but unfortunately he was only able to offer me a $500 Honda gift card to be used for future purchases/services at any Honda Services. This does not seem like a customer oriented resolution. This makes it a win-win for Honda. I’m still out of my $800 that I paid to replace the starter, and you get the $500 back into Honda for any services that I may need in the future. Just doesn’t seem fair.

In this sea of negativity, keep in mind that this site is going to be skewed towards those coming here to complain about problems. Venting is understandable. Ive owned unreliable cars in the past. That being said, none of my problem cars have been Hondas. Ive owned Acuras and Hondas, and others in my family have Hondas as well and none of us have experienced problems at all. And were glad for that because thats the #1 reason we chose the manufacturer. Honda is KNOWN for reliability and low cost of ownership and their reputation is built on it. I purchased a 2007 Civic EX w/ Nav back in 2010. Got it for a great price and its been nothing but dead reliable. The only thing Ive had to do is brakes and new tires, all around at 75k miles. Otherwise, its been typical oil changes and fluid top offs. Ive taken the car from Texas to California and back on a road trip. Again, no problems. Im currently sitting at about 90k miles. The only real issue that I take is cosmetic. The front, passenger side fender/bumper, where the bumper meets the wheel well, always comes unhooked and pops out about a half an inch. I have to bump it back into place with the bottom of my fist from time to time. Thats really it. All the electronics work perfectly and it always starts and runs fine.

It has done a great job holding up to our large family over the last 8 years. It has never needed any work, outside of the normal scheduled oil changes and maintenance, to keep it going strong. The leather interior held up to a family of 7, plus our 2 grandsons over the last 4 years. Not a single tear in the interior. Handles like a dream and drives like a car around corners. Stops wonderfully quick. At 240,000 miles, the notoriously bad transmissions for this year in Honda, finally gave out on me, with little warning. That is my first and only complaint.

The car is fantastic, but has a lot of nickel and dime expenses. It gets incredibly costly, but is a good family vehicle overall. It does what we need it to do. I like that it has a lot of room and three row seating. When you have a lot of kids that have a lot of stuff, you need a lot of room for car seats and leg room. But I dislike that it gets so expensive to keep it maintained. A low maintenance car would be much easier on our growing family. So my car note had been behind for month due to the fact that my husband had lost his job, and I have been the bread winner. My carnote of my 2011 Fit had fallen behind, but I always sent them SOMETHING. Fast forward I come off my day shift at work and notice that my car was gone:(. I frantically called Honda like hey did you guys repo the car? And the Rep. said, Well the car is in repo status, but it does not show in our system as being picked up or not. She made a few phone calls and said that she would not know until one of the many companies they work with send in the proper documents stating that the car was picked up. Long story short Honda required me to pay a repo fee to the city (Torrance, Ca which was 12$ to the city Court House) pay the repo fee, and bring my past due balance current. The only thing that sucks is the process of running out of time during the day and having to wait a whole nother day which equals another day of storage fees. My car was picked up on a Thursday. My fees were paid that Friday afternoon, but because I paid a little after 4 pm the lot was closed :( and I had to wait until Monday to get my car. I must say my situation was HORRIBLE, but it wasnt because of Honda. And Out of all the reps I spoke to they were not all that rude to me (They were kinda like demanding and one person told me more information than they were suppose to but hey he was being nice). So all and all once my account was brought up to date Honda faxed over the release paper. I was able to go to the lot and get my car. (I did have to pay a storage fee of 362.50 CASH???) But I cant just say Honda made the process harder than what it was. If I have anything to complain about its the fact that these lots close SO EARLY and are not open on weekends and cont. to charge you :(. But I just got my car released to me today. After being gone from Thursday December 15 till Monday December 19...

My company purchased a Honda Accord Automatic [P 262, Engine No. K24Z 20001515; Chassis No. G8N000825] on 28-July-2008 from the Dealer in Bardoli, Gujarat, for my use. Ever since then, the car engine cannot be started if by chance the driver runs cabin fan (i.e., fan without AC) for more than 10 to 15 minutes. I have then to call Honda Service who send on chargeable basis, a vehicle to tow the battery to jump start the car. Thereafter, the car carries on.This has happened four times at odd places and at odd times. Fed up with the problem, I tried to diagnose the problem my self and to my horror I discovered that the original battery provided by Honda is too small and to camouflage this a plastic encasement has been place around the battery so that the impression given is that the battery is of proper size. In width it is shorter by about 50 mm. I had not expected this from a Japanese Company since I have been of the opinion that Japanese do not cheat their customers.

The car cut off while I was in the store for five minutes. I was told that if you leave keys in the ignition while off, it drains the battery. No car in my life has that ever happened after leaving the radio in the car on and drained the battery. I had a problem within 3 months of buying a 2008 Honda. The car cut off and wouldnt start, and it did it again last night. I took it in before and the first time I took it in, the battery was fine. They checked the battery today and they said it was no good but it happened a total of 4 times and there was a recall on the car. It happened to other people and which shouldnt have happened. It cut off last night and no key was in the ignition and the battery died. I spoke to Ron, store manager, and the service manager and they refuse to change the battery. All they did was to charge up the battery because they wanted me to purchase a battery for $159 which is a problem. Because there was a problem a few months after I bought the car and I brought in for the same thing now, in less than a year. Honda told me that if you leave the key in the car, the car still is drawing power even though the key is off. I kid you not. My mom was in the car for five min. and the battery died. Honda of Roanoke Rapids doesnt care about customer service and doing what is right to satisfy the customer. The battery was going bad before I bought it in March. I will never buy a car again from them. And I have the powertrain warranty and American Honda forced me to get it and wont cover squat. My mom drives a 2007 Honda CR-V. Honda issued a recall for the drivers side airbag in early 2016 and, unable to replace the airbag, parked the car behind the dealer and issued her a loaner in February and March of 2016. After 2 months sitting at Honda, they brought her car home so it would be inside a garage while waiting for the airbag replacement. During this time, she had the house on the market so she could move closer to my sister and I as my father passed away. We were concerned that the car would not be available for the 700 mile move all along and expressed this to the dealer who told her she could drive the car all over the country, contrary to what we were hearing in the media and from the Honda itself about the Takata airbag dangers. The house sold and we immediately informed Honda (the dealer and customer support) that we would need a car to move to Illinois. I told Tanya at Honda Customer Support we would have to rent a similar vehicle to pack and make the move if Honda could not replace the airbag in the CR-V. After speaking with Tanya many times, I was told that that we would be fully reimbursed by Honda for the expenses related to the airbag replacement and that there was no daily reimbursement limit. We rented the closest size SUV available (Pathfinder) and packed it for the move. Three days before the move Honda called and said they would be able to replace the airbag a day before the move.I had to unpack the rental car, drive an hour to return it and take a cab back to Honda to pick up the car. We submitted the expense report for $1,292.54 for the rental, gas and cab to Honda. After multiple calls, a reimbursement check for $162.11 arrived, wrong address and wrong payee. It has not been cashed. Honda will not put Tanya on the phone and says now the limit is $32.00 a day. I have made it clear to them that I had asked her multiple times about a reimbursement limit before renting the replacement vehicle and that Tanya said no limit. Honda has blatantly lied and my 79 year old mom is out $1,292.54. I have spent months dealing with this issue. Since I asked Honda more than once about reimbursement rates before renting a replacement vehicle, my mom deserves every penny she spent on this debacle and an apology from American Honda.

When visiting another car repair place, they noticed the battery was reading 12.5 when it should have been in the 13 to 14 range. So maybe the alternator wasnt giving the battery enough juice or something was draining the battery. The display screen read ABS system and VSA system and all indicator lights were on while trying to start. No other indicator lights ever came on. It seemed perfect for me and she went through it a couple of times to me. I felt it was perfect and she was in my corner for the finance.Something seemed fishy after I noticed I had no car user manual in the car. I called them up a lot and even visited. I never got any word back on the whereabouts of my car manual. Not until Monday (25th March, 2018). I called up again and spoke to a Michael. He followed everything up and ended up ordering me a new book. I then called up my finance, Skyline Car Finance about how much was owing and when my 1 year fixed would end. Thats where it went bad because they told me it was a 5 year fixed contract and that I would need to follow up with my dealership. I contacted Ellie who told me there was no such thing as a 1 year and that I would save on interest and theres an early exit fee. I went in today on a Saturday (31st March, 2018). I collected my book and talked to Ellie. She told me that it was a 5 year fixed from the start and that I misinterpreted it and that I should read my contract. I feel as if I have been sucked into a contract I would never have signed if I knew this. She also told me that heaps of people come in with the same reason I have. So the real question is, how many people is ripping off?

Have been a Honda owner all of my life. The last two Hondas, a 2010 Hybrid Insight and a 2013 Civic, had batteries die at two years old with mileage under 20,000. I am very concerned. I feel their quality has gone down. Do not get me wrong, their service is outstanding. The batteries were replaced in both instances with no hassle and no cost because they were under warranty. However I am deeply concerned. Another month and I wouldve been stranded in ice and snow with no heater. Thank God it was caught when it was. Looking online I see I am not the only person with this complaint. I also feel the interiors are more plastic and not as lux as they used to be. After five Hondas, I think I am going to make a switch the next time I am ready to buy a car. Again service outstanding, quality of car has gone downhill.

When I was younger, I always dreamed of getting a Honda. I loved these cars. So as soon as I was able to get one, I did. So sorry I did. I have fixed my car radio a couple of times and it cost about $400. It’s not cheap with raising 4 kids! I googled it and it seems to be an ongoing problem. I called 1-800-999-1009 and no one wanted to help me. So, I told them about the radio draining my battery and dying, leaving me and my kids stranded on the side of the road and no one seemed to care. Obviously, this is not the first they have heard of this problem because it’s all over the net. This is my first and last Honda. I was trying to convince my boyfriend to get one. Now, I am convincing him not to. Now in the midst of me having temporary home due to hurricane Sandy and just lost my job, I have a car that continues to die in the freezing cold. I will never get another Honda. I will let my friends and family know of this issue and also tell them if you have a problem, Honda will not help so it’s better to go with a Nissan or Toyota. My mom has been buying Nissan for about 20 years and they have really good customer service. Boo to you Honda.

I recently had the misfortune of purchasing a car (2018 Honda Fit) with Honda Sensing enabled. Within a week, I discovered that the sensors are so flaky as to render the car unsafe to drive - while I was unable to trigger them at all during the test drive (as they sometimes fail to detect anything), the opposite problem (seeing something that isnt there) is where the car becomes unsafe. 3 times in 60 miles of highway driving, the car applied maximum brakes without warning. The road in front of me was clear for several miles (and thankfully also clear behind me), but it always triggered as I was just about to finish passing another car. This compounded the risk of brake checking - had someone been behind me, they absolutely would have rear-ended me, as they would have had no place to go to dodge my vehicle, and absolutely no way to anticipate my car applying the brakes at maximum for several seconds. The dealership inspected the sensors and assured me they were performing to spec - this was not an issue with a faulty or malfunctioning sensor, *this is the way Honda Sensing is designed to work*. Further searching has turned up 3 class action lawsuits and hundreds of similar stories, with Honda dismissing all of them with the hilarious its a complicated system, you cant expect it to be perfect. Im sure Ford would have loved to have that slogan when they were dealing with the Pinto. Honda, when it comes to the *brakes on a car*, yes, you do need to be perfect, or you need to leave them alone. Its worth noting that Consumer Reports ranks Honda dead last in its evaluation of these emergency braking systems.Further compounding the situation, there is no way to permanently disable this system. I would strongly recommend that no one buy a car with this feature, think twice before riding in a newer Honda, and be aware of their potentially erratic performance if you see one on the road - frankly these cars are a danger to others as much as to themselves.

I purchased a 2002 Honda. I was refused a test drive. The air conditioning was not working and the radio didnt work. I took it in for service for the air conditioning, then the maintenance required light was on. After receiving the serviced car, it stalled when making turns 4 days later. I took the car to a Honda dealer to have it checked and was told it was the timing belt causing the engine to cease and low oil. My question is, the car was in the shop less than a week prior and doesnt work. I attempted to return the vehicle to the dealer. Coleman is refusing to take it back. Honda car is a dud and Coleman refuses to satisfy the customer.

After my accident and insurance inspection, there were four to five damaged parts which were to be replaced (caused due to accident) and was told that within seven to ten working days, I will get the car back. I have been waiting everyday but things seem to proceed further.Today, after three weeks of continuous chase, I finally get an answer from Ayub ** (General Manager of Hall Mark Honda) that the spare parts are still not available and will let me know by tomorrow for the exact status. Ayub also mentioned that I may also put up a complaint on customer care. Today, I have made a complaint to the Customer Care--my complaint number is **.In the beginning, when we were to give the vehicle for servicing, why didnt they check with their big company for the spare parts prior to giving commitments to us? I require my car for commuting to work on a daily basis and with such delays and poor service, it is really not worth buying a Honda car.I have gotten sick and tired with no correct feedback, following-up with the branch, and getting atrocious responses like, we shall get back to you in two hours or the responsible person is not available. I really think that Honda is testing our patience. Such inadequate service and inefficient staff! We will no longer seek or expect any help from your branchs disinterested individuals, who seems to be highly skilled ** jugglers.Kindly consider my dissatisfaction and disappointment with such useless services and try to solve my query soon. It is suffice to say that I have now given up on my futile and foolhardy quest but I still hope to receive some kind of service from you. I am awaiting immediate response.

We purchased a 2011 Honda Civic from a private owner over 4 years ago (2014). Would you believe WE JUST got the title clear and in our name??? (2018) Granted we started the process a year an a half ago when we tried to register it in a different state only to learn that Honda had some kind of hold on it. We kept getting someone from their customer service telling us they had fixed everything and would send out the title. Only to wait for weeks and never receive it. We couldnt register it until we held a title. They kept telling us they couldnt talk to us about why they couldnt release it??? WHAT? WE WERE THE OWNERS! This went on for months back and forth with a new person saying they were sending the title and going through the whole cycle again! Omgosh, so frustrating! I had to track the original owners down to help us, who had since MOVED OUT OF THE COUNTRY, and guess what? They (Honda) said that they had to be in a US OFFICE to sign some paper! We waited for them to come back for a visit to the U.S. and then thought everything was squared away, guess what? STILL DIDNT SEND THE TITLE. We ended up having to get an attorney and we used to be HUGE Honda fans.Never again will we buy a Honda. The customer service reps were always incredibly rude and disrespectful even hanging up on the original owner. Very, very, very disappointed in Honda to say the least. Customer service is a reflection of the company, I feel very strongly about that. I dont want to support a company that doesnt honor and serve their customers.

The brand new Hondas safety features do not work. The ceiling leaks when it rains. The mileage on the car is from going back and forth to the dealer without repairs ever made. When I call Honda corporate, they say there is nothing they will do. They also interrupt, talk over me, and are extremely rude & unprofessional. That is unacceptable, so I keep calling back. So, while I am making payments on a brand new Honda that I cant drive and it rains inside the vehicle, they bully me and tell me they are going to charge me with harassment because I keep calling. Haha! As an emergency flight nurse working alongside police, I can just see how the police will investigate Hondas claims when I show them my lemon vehicle. Hell, theyll start calling Honda for me!

Upon leaving the house a couple months ago, loading the kids in the car then, bam, the back passenger door falls, breaking the cable and damaging the fender in the process. Calls to Honda make it apparent they do not plan to do anything for a design flaw causing a safety concern for my kids who ride right next to this door. The repair from them is in excess of $1500! Then we are loading up today and bam, second back slider cable breaks! Now this door has our 6 month old baby right next to it! This is our only family vehicle, and to put icing on the cake, the sole provider for the family is off work for a back injury! Honda refuses to pony up and assist with issues despite calls asking why our 4 year old car is falling apart, their answers, normal wear and tear is not covered and we will have to foot the bill entirely on our own! Honda quality is nothing what it used to be and their customer service and support is laughable. Before these issues we were ecstatic to share our new car and tell everybody how great it was, now I would not recommend this car to my worst enemy!

Last week, I gave my Honda Stunner in one of the service center (Vahini motors, Kollam, Kerala) to correct certain complaints in the engine. I bought my bike just 8 months back, but I got an engine complaint. As they said, I changed an engine part (gasket) but still there is an unwanted noise while accelerating. Also, they had not corrected the RPM meter. All the services, that is the first four services, were done correctly. Looking forward for your reply.

I purchase this vehicle in the Spring of 2007 at Honda of Midlands in Columbia SC with 56,000 miles... this was a certified used vehicle with 7 years or 120,000 miles warranty, I purchase the service warranty and religiously took it to the sister dealer in my city. About Mid Feb 2017 I took it for service and they need it to check my engine light as it was on. The tech check the pressure of my cylinders and found #2 to have coolant coming from the wall of the engine. Also, need to repair my seals and other miscellaneous items. Little that I know that the tech found a crack between the wall of the coolant and the engine block thus needing a new engine. Granted I have 158,000 miles on it and no longer has a warranty. Honda told me NO canNOT help me and the dealer ask me for $5,000 for a used re manufactured engine. This is not my first honda as I own also a Honda Civic EX with over 200,000 miles own it. The Service Manager told them that this was a rare occurrence maybe 1 in 10,000 which doesnt help me. I opted for them NOT to repair it and I picked up in pieces sitting in my garage waiting for a new engine. Im not happy nor I want to buy a new one anymore.

I brought my car (Honda Crosstour) into service in which I have an extended warranty and purchased a service plan. One month later I experienced a short in which all the electronics of the car went dead. I took the car into the same service center and I was told water is in the navigation unit. This is located at the back area on the right side. The first problem was the service team was not able to find out the cause of the problem. They did not provide me with options or update me that the warranty does not cover water damage. The service area open up the car and discovered water flowed into the navigation electrical unit area at the back of the car. The first words that came out of the service manager was oh well maybe someone played a prank on you and threw water in there, I dont know how water got in there. Its been a week. I have no car and they will not give me a loaner. They want my insurance to cover the cost which is about 3900 for the navigation unit and about another 1000 approx in labor costs. The insurance adjuster stated that this leak was not due to a minor bumper accident that I had 6 months prior. The service manager indicated that water may be leaking through there. The insurance will therefore not cover this item. So I am left without car, and attempts at escalation is arduous and stressful. This is the first time I am a Honda owner and if this situation is not resolved by Honda I will never be one again!

I have 2009 Honda CRV, over the internet lot of customers like me complained about their A/C stops working when it reaches close to 100K miles. Its because of their faulty Air Compressor system. When they assembled the car, why didnt they test this system. And when they know its a problem that almost all customers are facing, why are they extending warranty to just 6 or 7 years, what about people who dont put much of mileage on their car every day and who use it as secondary vehicle. And their car takes one or two years more to reach their faulty systems to stop working. And moreover someone who lives in North Central United States who see cold weather almost throughout the year, and just few days of Sunny days in a year how do we determine A/C is working. Before assembling the car first thing they need to ensure they have all right quality parts without which assembling the car and selling it to customers is like deceiving customers and making false business to make money. Now, when I look at my car VIN number it says there is a recall on Driver/Passenger airbags. Not sure how they manufactured such parts and how they tested them and why were they in such a hurry to assemble such faulty products and sell it as a SUV to customers.

In the past month my 2015 has had battery issues. Had to get car jumped a total of six/seven times in one month. Took car to Honda service department to have diagnostic. Per customer service battery is good and cant get proper reading if car is jumped. Advised to have car towed in if this problem occurs again. Little upset because I have little children and would never want to be stranded with my children do to their safety. Called corporate office, told them what happened. Made them aware that this is a safety issue. Referred me to case manager who told me that I would have to follow Honda service department suggestion and have car towed in. Next week car wouldnt start. Had car towed in to Honda who then did diagnostics and found battery was defective. Put new battery in car. Two days later (today), same thing car wouldnt start, Car towed back to dealership. Very Frustrating. Tried to get loaner and told all out and there was nothing they can do. Meantime losing money because hanging in Honda most of the day. Called corporate office and told them my dilemma and not being satisfied with service. Brushed me off and said that a case manager will return my call in 1 business day. Still no transportation to work. Not even reimbursement for rental. Not happy. Terrible customer support.

Honda dealership is great. But when it comes to the actual corporation they have no value for the customer. I got a 2016 Honda Civic fully equipped and I took my brother as well and got the same car as me, so technically we bought two at the same time and within the 3rd month my car started to get system errors, brake system problem, abs system problem, anti-lock braking system problem, tire pressure monitor system problem and much more. I took in the shop I would say 7 - 8 times and was at the shop of total of 35 days at the shop and the problem was still there. So I called Honda corporation and made a claim. The gentlemen that took my case did not call me back or anything. So I got an Attorney because I didnt know what else to do. I was missing work, couldnt take my son to school. Its been almost 7 months and Honda still giving a hard time.I trade in my previous car. I was down $4,000 and I was fine with it because I thought I was getting a better car. Till today with downpayment and car payments Ive put close to $10,000 and Honda is just trying to give me $4,000 back. This was my first new car and gave me the worse first car experience. So if you get a car from Honda just make sure its not a lemon because I assure you they wont treat you the same way as if you where a new customer. I would never get a Honda car ever again.

We bought an HRV 22 months ago. While driving cross country to my daughters college graduation we stopped in Las Vegas to get something to drink. As we were about to get on the freeway all the lights on the dashboard lit up. Flashing were the words Check Charging System. We took it to Honda West dealership and they told us to come back tomorrow morning and they would look at the vehicle. The next day they had the vehicle for four hours and still did not know what wrong. We left the vehicle with them and rented a car and drove back home. A month later they said they had everything fixed. They found that rodents had eaten through the cabin air filter and damaged the wiring inside the vehicle. After getting home with the vehicle I took the cabin air filter out to see how I could keep the rodents out of my vehicle. The dealership put the old filter back into the vehicle. It had two holes in it that were 2-3 inches wide, full of rodent excrement and smelled like urine. I removed the plastic cover between the front hood and the front windshield. About 3 inches below the windshield on the passenger side was a 4 inch by 12 opening going through the firewall into the Ac unit. Below the opening was a 3 1/2 inch wide shelf for the rodents to sit on. I got a piece of hardware cloth with 1/4 openings and four self-tapping sheet metal screws and covered the hole to keep the rodents out.The cost of repair was about $1.50, the cost from Honda West Dealership for the rodent damage was $ 9,720.10. This is a bad design by Honda, to allow this kind of access for rodents into their vehicle. I understand this is the same design on all of their crossover vehicles. How much money has Honda Corporation made off of this design because of rodent damage?
