2025 Honda Civic Si

The 2025 Honda Civic Si is a standout pocket rocket in the sporty sedan world. Powered by a 1.5 L turbocharged I4 delivering 200 hp and 192 lb‑ft, it uses a six‑speed manual and a front limited‑slip differential—all only available as a sedan. It does 0–60 mph in roughly 6.5–7 s and returns ~31 mpg combined (27 city/37 highway).

The 2025 refresh adds key upgrades: a stiffer chassis, retuned suspension, new 18″ wheels, standard heated seats, Google Built‑in with a 9″ touchscreen, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, and a 10.2″ digital gauge cluster with LED shift lights borrowed from the Type R.

Handling and driving feel remain engaging and precise with crisp steering and balanced suspension. Summer tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 option) greatly enhance cornering grip while preserving ride comfort.

Interior features include red-accented cloth sport seats with heating, Bose‑branded 12‑speaker audio, USB‑C charging, Wi‑Fi hotspot, and a clean, driver-focused layout.

Safety equipment is comprehensive, with the Honda Sensing suite offering auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise with upgraded functionality, lane‑keep assist, blind‑spot monitoring, and rear‑cross traffic alerts.

The Civic Si provides phenomenal value: starting around USD $31,045 MSRP, with optional summer tires adding only ~$300.

Owner sentiment, especially on Reddit, highlights its accessible manual gearbox, rev‑match system, soft clutch, ease of learning stick, and daily usability—even in snow if paired with good tires.

That said, it isn't the most powerful Civic (the hybrid and Type R surpass it) and the clutch pedal is very light, which might feel less engaging to enthusiasts. Some wish for more power or an automatic option, though purists value the manual-only setup .

Summary: The 2025 Civic Si hits the sweet spot for those craving a fun, manual compact sedan packed with modern tech, safety, and value. It blends spirited driving with everyday practicality—and remains one of the best manual-performing vehicles you can buy today. Let me know if you’d like comparisons to the Si’s hybrid, Si hatch, or rivals like the Jetta GLI.

I am writing to you to inform that I am very disappointed with customer service care line from HONDA from the way they handle case. The story is like this: My nephew call customer service line at 1800-18-1177 on 13th November 2018 after his car ** accidentally hit broken hole at Bangi while heavy raining. He call at 3.00pm plus and towing truck only arrived at 7pm plus. After they checked the car (in front 2 tyre burst and found the car cannot start) they say will send the car to the nearer HONDA which at Semenyih. They ask whether can they send to SAG ULTIMATE centre which my nephew do not know actually. The place is only for (Body and Paint centre) after accident. Here what I want to question how come Honda towing track staff do not know where to send the car base on the car situation and case. My nephew is not accident which I think they should straight send the car to the nearer HONDA service centre. How come they send the car to the body & paint centre???14th November 2018. I went to the SAG ultimate and they mention they did not provide checking or repair for engine issue. Then I call back your customer service line and talk to Ms. ** to collect back the car and send to the HONDA service centre but she mention I need to pay for it which is the procedure is like that. Im like… What? I have to pay for your mistake? And further Im not asking to bring to other workshop. Im asking to collect and send to HONDA service centre. I really hope the management of HONDA look into this issue. This will make your customer feel upset and HONDA reputation will affected. Your customer service never act professional in this difficult situation. Its not about the money that we need to pay extra for the towing issue but just the matter of professionalism and customer happinessLastly I would like to give compliment and professional sales services to SAG ultimate branch at Semenyih to the Manager (Steve **) which provide me efficient and fast respond on settling this issue. He take the responsibility to send my nephew car to the Semenyih HONDA service centre without any charges. Thank you for his staff at the SAG centre, Mr. Chin ** and En ** for the good customer care and professional attitude. Thanks.

I love cruising on the highway and was looking for a powerful bike for this purpose. Honda is the most trusted two-wheeler brand anywhere in the world and I selected the CB1100EX after taking a test ride and going through reviews. Trust me, this is an amazing bike. The build quality is solid. Honda has used premium parts to make this motorcycle. I have commanded other cruise bikes but the happiness and satisfaction that I got from the CB1100EX were unparalleled. The riding posture is straight up. The seat is comfortable and spacious which reduces rider fatigue

When I call Honda to fix this they say that my car does not have any recall or is not stated in the color campaign. Heres the link for the campaign notice information - **. Such a disgusting service from Honda. Will never ever suggest people and friends to buy car from Honda again. I will be suing Honda as they did not send me any recall or campaign information regarding this paint issue.

March 2016, I received a safety recall notice from Honda advising me that the airbags in my 2008 Honda CR-V were defective and if deployed, could cause injury or death. The notice went on to say that the replacements parts to make the necessary repairs were not available and may not be available for months, but offered to provide a replacement vehicle if desired, at no cost to me.Now, since they had advised me that driving my car could result in my death, and offered free alternate transportation, I thought it would be foolish to continue to drive the car. So, I took my car to the dealer where I purchased the car from, Gillman Honda, in Schertz Texas. They had no cars available to loan, but offered to provide me with an Enterprise Rental. As there had been a major hailstorm in the Greater San Antonio area a couple of days before, Enterprise had no suitable vehicles. I was therefore advised to attempt to rent a vehicle on my own and I would be reimbursed up to $35 per day.I placed several calls and found a suitable vehicle at an Avis franchise operation. After a month, the car had to be returned in accordance with Avis policy, at which time, we rented another similar vehicle. About half a month into the second rental, I received a call from Gillman Honda telling me that they had made an agreement with Hertz to rent cars to Honda owners affected by the recall and needed alternate transportation. So, I turned in the rental car, and rented a vehicle from Hertz with Gillman Hondas approval for the remainder of the time Gillman was waiting on the necessary parts, which turned out to be in August. In all, I had 2 Hertz vehicles for about 2 months. (It is also necessary to return Hertz vehicles after a month for safety reasons.) After I received my repaired vehicle in August, I sent evidence of my out of pocket expenses (rental agreements) along with the Gillman invoice describing the repair. In September, I contacted Honda to make sure that they had received the documentation, to be told that my claim for reimbursement was denied because it couldnt be verified that I had actually paid the charges to Avis. I then sent copies of my American Express statements showing the charges and subsequent payments. I was told at that time by the case worker at Honda, that I would be reimbursed in 6 to 8 weeks. That was September 2016. After November, repeated calls have resulted in the same answer, Its under review. In December of 2016, I received a bill from Hertz saying that because Honda had not paid for the vehicle they had provided me, I was legally responsible all charges incurred. A phone call to Hertz revealed that Honda owed them MILLIONS of dollars and had not responded to repeated phone calls. It appears Honda does not intend to, or has been advised not to pay for charges incurred as a result of the Takata airbag recall. It is impossible to reach anyone other than the Its under review people who clearly cannot help. The parts are evidently available now, so you may not have to have alternate transportation for any length of time, but if you do, be careful of any financial exposure.

I have a 2017 Honda CRV Touring. Bought in Nov. of 2017. Has 11, 500 miles on it. Counting the original battery it is now on its 3rd one. As of July 5, 2019 I have had the 6th dead battery. Ive had every excuse under the sun for these. First one was that we had to keep the key fobs for electronic start more than 20 feet from the vehicle when not in use. Electrical components in them will drain the battery. Most recent excuse was we dont drive vehicle enough. Was told to take car out on the highway at least once a week, drive 10 miles at 50 MPH and then return 10 miles. This is necessary to keep the battery charged. Rarely does vehicle ever sit 1 day without being driven and driven every week multiple times over 20 miles at 50 MPH. Other people have had same complaints with identical vehicle. I am in process of filing claim under Pa. Lemon Law. My 2nd and last Honda.

Recently someone I know went to a Honda Dealership in Texas for a Honda recall regarding an airbag. He dropped off the car. Later the service department stated it was completely repaired and safe to drive as usual. While driving that week, without warning the airbag exploded into his face causing him to lose control. As a result of the accident he was injured. Honda has been informed and apparently wants to pay him to fix his car some place else. Of course he no longer trusts Honda. Has anyone else had an experience of a grossly negligent repair?

Certified used warranty is a scam. Honda sold me a certified used vehicle under their program that guarantees a 151-point inspection. Right out of the dealership, the car had a burnt accessory fuse, missing tire change tools, and garbage in the spare tire well under the trunk. This leads me to believe they did not check all the fuses and they did not check to see if a spare tire was even included with the vehicle, let alone properly inflated. They did not offer compensation for failing to check these points in their original inspection and they did not agree to perform another 151-point inspection at my request. It is now 14 months after I purchased the vehicle and only about 8,000-9,000 miles on the car from since we bought it. The power steering pump had a major failure; repair is quoted at $740.01. They refuse to repair the vehicle at no cost since non-powertrain warranty only covers 12-months/12,000 miles. I would typically accept this response, but I feel as if the car was never fully inspected like they advertised. A power steering pump should not have a major failure after 8,000-9,000 miles. I should not have this much difficulty explaining my frustration to Honda, a company that prides itself on reliable cars and helpful people, especially with such low mileage on the vehicle.

That’s where I went to back to the Brookdale Luther dealership to try and change the car out but they said it past the 5 day grace period. So they connected me with the service people to try and fix the problem but they told me to go back to Burnsville dealership because theyre the ones who started the job and they have to finish it otherwise we going to have to charge just to look at it. I have 2009 Honda CRV, over the internet lot of customers like me complained about their A/C stops working when it reaches close to 100K miles. Its because of their faulty Air Compressor system. When they assembled the car, why didnt they test this system. And when they know its a problem that almost all customers are facing, why are they extending warranty to just 6 or 7 years, what about people who dont put much of mileage on their car every day and who use it as secondary vehicle. And their car takes one or two years more to reach their faulty systems to stop working. And moreover someone who lives in North Central United States who see cold weather almost throughout the year, and just few days of Sunny days in a year how do we determine A/C is working. Before assembling the car first thing they need to ensure they have all right quality parts without which assembling the car and selling it to customers is like deceiving customers and making false business to make money. Now, when I look at my car VIN number it says there is a recall on Driver/Passenger airbags. Not sure how they manufactured such parts and how they tested them and why were they in such a hurry to assemble such faulty products and sell it as a SUV to customers.

We purchased a 2011 Honda Civic from a private owner over 4 years ago (2014). Would you believe WE JUST got the title clear and in our name??? (2018) Granted we started the process a year an a half ago when we tried to register it in a different state only to learn that Honda had some kind of hold on it. We kept getting someone from their customer service telling us they had fixed everything and would send out the title. Only to wait for weeks and never receive it. We couldnt register it until we held a title. They kept telling us they couldnt talk to us about why they couldnt release it??? WHAT? WE WERE THE OWNERS! This went on for months back and forth with a new person saying they were sending the title and going through the whole cycle again! Omgosh, so frustrating! I had to track the original owners down to help us, who had since MOVED OUT OF THE COUNTRY, and guess what? They (Honda) said that they had to be in a US OFFICE to sign some paper! We waited for them to come back for a visit to the U.S. and then thought everything was squared away, guess what? STILL DIDNT SEND THE TITLE. We ended up having to get an attorney and we used to be HUGE Honda fans.Never again will we buy a Honda. The customer service reps were always incredibly rude and disrespectful even hanging up on the original owner. Very, very, very disappointed in Honda to say the least. Customer service is a reflection of the company, I feel very strongly about that. I dont want to support a company that doesnt honor and serve their customers.

I bought a new 2013 Honda Ridgeline at a dealership. Once I hit 1200 miles, the vehicle would not start after sitting for one or more days. I took it to the Honda dealership that I purchased it at in Uniontown, PA and was told nothing was wrong. One week later, the problem happened again and I again took back to the Honda dealer in Uniontown. Once again I was told they could not find the issue. The not starting had occurred approximately 5 more times. On the fifth time, I called the dealer and Honda customer service. I was told to have the vehicle towed at my expense and it was suggested that I was making the issue up and that I may be experiencing buyers remorse. Honda customer service advised me to take it to a different Honda dealer since I was unhappy with the outcome. I obliged and took the Ridgeline to the second dealer to be told that I had a defective battery. The battery was replaced and I went on my way. Two weeks later, the problem of the vehicle not starting happened again. I took the vehicle to the second dealer again. They ran a parasitic draw test and could not find the issue. They changed the battery again and sent me on my way. Three weeks later, the problem persisted and back to the Honda dealer. They said the battery, the third one, had been significantly drained and charged it. This did not fix the problem. When the problem persisted, I took the vehicle back to Honda. I asked the service manager to try something different because what they had been doing did not work. He stated that since the parasitic draw test could not find a draw on the battery that Honda would not authorize any additional test or repairs. I personally called the Honda customer service line and spoke with a regional rep who proceeded to tell me he did not have time to discuss. I asked for another representative and was told that there was not anyone else to speak to. I asked for his manager and explained that I had plenty of questions that I would like answers to. He told me that he did not have a supervisor. I questioned him on this, doubting his integrity, until he confirmed that he did have a supervisor, but he would not connect me to her or give me her direct contact information. I then asked what steps he was going to take to help me. He said that he was going to contact the service manager at Honda and discuss. I requested a conference call with the three of us and he said that he did not have the capabilities to do so. I advised that my cell phone had these capabilities and I would do the call from my end. At this point, he agreed to do the conference call from his end. He proceeded to tell the service manager that I would be bringing the Ridgeline in the next day, which all three of us had already known, got a bad attitude, said he was done with this, and disconnected the line. The next day I received a call from an unavailable number that turned out to be a different regional manager from Honda. This person proceeded to tell me that I had to work with the original regional manager and vaguely gave me answers to the five or six inquiries that I had. I asked if if I could have a different case manager because the first one was deceitful and she advised that she did not feel that he had lied on three different occasions and that I had to work with him. My vehicle is currently at the dealership and I am awaiting the outcome. I have record of my Honda Ridgeline being at the Honda garage on 11 occasions for the same issue. I also have notated dates on 8 other instances when the vehicle did not start that I did not take it to the shop. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with Honda, the dealership in Uniontown, PA, and the Honda customer service department. The service manager at that second dealership in Richeyville, PA has been very nice and empathetic to me, and has stated that he is doing everything in his power to help me, but his hand seem to be tied back to Honda for he cannot do any repairs without the proper authorizations.

I bought a 2017 CRV EX. We installed our car seat in the middle back row of the car. The car seat belt buckle and passenger belt buckle were switched, making it unsafe and difficult for the passenger to put on their seat belt. This is surprising to me because I dont think this is a small mistake. Its a safety issue. I called the dealer, Ralph Schomp Honda in Highlands Ranch, where we bought the car, and I was advised to bring it in for a half day inspection. This is already a hassle, to add to that, the dealer also charges $22/day for a loaner car. I feel like I am being hassled for a big mistake that Honda has made. This just doesnt feel right. This is a brand new 2017 car.I called America Honda and I was told that no one has complained about this. I Googled it and there are others that have complained about this situation. America Honda advised me to bring it into the dealership. Overall, I love the car but I am very disappointed about this big safety mistake from Honda and they are not being proactive to fix the issue. Ive been on Hondas since the late 60s, dirt, trail & blacktop versions. Ive had other brands (primarily cruisers), but have been disappointed and have returned home to Honda. After playing in the dirt during my youth I graduated finally to the Wings. Got my first Wing in 1984 right out of the crate. Put over 250K on her and traded her in on a shiny new SEI in 1986. Kept the SEI in pristine condition until a moving company broke her during a military move & purchased a 95 anniversary edition, which I still have today. Ive had hog riders tell me she isnt a real bike and Ive told them that they are correct - shes a Cadillac convertible on 2 wheels. Unlike an ultra glide I can be on her with my wife, all day long and at the end of a long day of 400+ miles I can still walk. Three cruisers, all with over 200K miles doing nothing more than typical scheduled maintenance or replacing small parts e.g., tires, brake pads etc. Ive known several people that have well over a half-million miles on Wings and are still going strong - figure out how many V-twins youd go through in that many miles. Ive been thinking of trading in the 95 for another new bike, but really do Not like the most recent version of the Wing. Ive been on the BMW cruiser and Ive got to admit, it really has me thinking of changing. Thirty-five years of loyalty with Wings is hard to shake, but they (Honda) seem intent on taking one of their best lines (Goldwing) and making it into another sports bike. Buy a good used one if you can find one, youll be very happy you did.

I recently had the misfortune of purchasing a car (2018 Honda Fit) with Honda Sensing enabled. Within a week, I discovered that the sensors are so flaky as to render the car unsafe to drive - while I was unable to trigger them at all during the test drive (as they sometimes fail to detect anything), the opposite problem (seeing something that isnt there) is where the car becomes unsafe. 3 times in 60 miles of highway driving, the car applied maximum brakes without warning. The road in front of me was clear for several miles (and thankfully also clear behind me), but it always triggered as I was just about to finish passing another car. This compounded the risk of brake checking - had someone been behind me, they absolutely would have rear-ended me, as they would have had no place to go to dodge my vehicle, and absolutely no way to anticipate my car applying the brakes at maximum for several seconds. The dealership inspected the sensors and assured me they were performing to spec - this was not an issue with a faulty or malfunctioning sensor, *this is the way Honda Sensing is designed to work*. Further searching has turned up 3 class action lawsuits and hundreds of similar stories, with Honda dismissing all of them with the hilarious its a complicated system, you cant expect it to be perfect. Im sure Ford would have loved to have that slogan when they were dealing with the Pinto. Honda, when it comes to the *brakes on a car*, yes, you do need to be perfect, or you need to leave them alone. Its worth noting that Consumer Reports ranks Honda dead last in its evaluation of these emergency braking systems.Further compounding the situation, there is no way to permanently disable this system. I would strongly recommend that no one buy a car with this feature, think twice before riding in a newer Honda, and be aware of their potentially erratic performance if you see one on the road - frankly these cars are a danger to others as much as to themselves.

In June 2011, I was hit by another car that changed lanes into the right passenger side of my 2006 Honda minivan, pushing me head on into the concrete barrier dividing the oncoming lanes of traffic. My drivers side airbag deployed. The airbag deployment broke my right wrist and severely lacerated my left thumb cutting through an artery. I am on Coumadin, so the bleeding was quite severe.

I have a Honda Civic 2009. The paint started to crack and peel from two years ago. The peeling and cracking is now everywhere on the car. It was a shame everywhere I went in these two years. Since I bought the car used, I thought the car was repainted because of an accident. However, I recently searched online and found out that this is a widespread problem for various Honda models!!! I called Honda customer service and was told that because my car is just out of warranty (for twenty days) the repaint job should be done on my own expense, no matter the problem was persistent for last two years. Putting aside how much shame and discomfort this car has brought for me in these years, I was shocked how rude and irresponsible they are in dealing with their loyal customers. My suggestion to you all my friends is: NEVER go for Honda for your new car! Compared to the value and respect other automotive manufacturers like Toyota, etc would provide, it is crazy to invest your money on a car that brings discomfort for you when the company also refuses to take responsibility for their defective products.

I really love Honda but from now on I will not buy this brand anymore after they denied my complaint about the rusted I have on my two years old car with only 20000 miles in it. I have to fix it at the body shop with my own cost. The Honda technician blame on the accident reported that may cause the paint scraped off. But accident report did not really tell what kind of accident. So I took the car to body shop and they told me the problem start at the door seal have a hole right at the rust is. It cost me only $150 to fix the problems. Honda technician smart enough get my tiny problem fix instead denied it. You guys losing one customer and this message will passing on to other.

Honda Customer Service is extremely disappointing. Items offered/described on their website imply suitability for all--not true. Example: Website describes Backup Sensors as Help yourself in or out of a tight spot while helping to protect your paint; Four Sensors emit audible beeps into the cabin while you back up, signaling objects as you approach them. Beeps quicken as your vehicle gets closer to objects. Note: Back-up sensor attachment is required for installation. ** Polished Metal Metallic; MSRP: $265.32. On the purchase of a 2011 CR-V, we had backup sensors installed for $857. Turns out that the emitted beeps are very high-frequency which my husband cannot hear. (According to The National Institute of Health (NIH) 15 percent (26 million) of Americans between the ages of 20-69 cannot hear high pitched tones because of military service (in my husbands case dating back to 1965), etc. ) We would not have requested this safety feature installed on our new CR-V, the third new Honda my husband has purchased since 1997, unless we considered it important. We are a retired couple on a fixed income, and we think long and hard prior to spending this amount of money on discretionary items. Honda personnel with whom we have dealt offered us one option--go to an after market auto shop and see if they could rig up flashing lights to supplement the (inaudible) sound. Are they serious? In backing up, we have to look forward to see flashing lights!!! What about the sides of the vehicles where the backup sensors are supposed to ensure protection?

Honda brand Cars stand the test of time. The affordability when repairs are needed are one of the major reasons I would purchase another Honda. The only issues I came across were with the AC and some minor electrical issues. The AC apparently had some issues that were addressed company wide and when I went to a Honda Service Center, The problem was fixed free of charge. As for the electrical issues, I have not had any clear reason told to me of why they occur but have heard from other Honda Owners that they have also experienced small electrical errors. Those issues include the radio/gps monitor and connection.

When I call Honda corporate, they say there is nothing they will do. They also interrupt, talk over me, and are extremely rude & unprofessional. That is unacceptable, so I keep calling back. So, while I am making payments on a brand new Honda that I cant drive and it rains inside the vehicle, they bully me and tell me they are going to charge me with harassment because I keep calling. Haha! As an emergency flight nurse working alongside police, I can just see how the police will investigate Hondas claims when I show them my lemon vehicle. Hell, theyll start calling Honda for me!

The first problem of my Honda Civic is the brakes. They are anti-locking brakes but they should be called anti-stopping brakes. When you try to brake going over even the smallest bump, ice on the road, or pot hole, you go another 20 to 60 feet no matter how slow you are going. I mentioned this to the local dealer in New Rochelle (NY) and they said it was the way the cars and brakes are made. The biggest problem is actually the CV joints. After about 5,000 miles, there is a sound when you turn the wheel. No matter how small a turn, it will sound like an old wooden ship; making crickety, crakety sounds. Once again, the dealer said this was not a problem. But now my auto-repair guy says the rubber around the CV joints is perfect; no wear-and-tear. Nothing torn. Nothing worn out. But the CV joint is worn out behind the rubber surrounding it making this a classic case of defective CV joints in a car.I have tried to contact Honda about 3-4 times now and am now about to send a certified letter to the top people at Honda in America and Japan. If this is not resolved, this will be Hondas turn just like when Toyota had their brake problems with the Prius. And why do I say this? Because I have heard many, many people who have had the same problem with their Honda cars having a CV joint problem and I will write and write, make a video to put on YouTube, and build a website if I have to so that Honda either does something or maybe we just all wake up and never buy anything from Japan again.

So my car note had been behind for month due to the fact that my husband had lost his job, and I have been the bread winner. My carnote of my 2011 Fit had fallen behind, but I always sent them SOMETHING. Fast forward I come off my day shift at work and notice that my car was gone:(. I frantically called Honda like hey did you guys repo the car? And the Rep. said, Well the car is in repo status, but it does not show in our system as being picked up or not. She made a few phone calls and said that she would not know until one of the many companies they work with send in the proper documents stating that the car was picked up. Long story short Honda required me to pay a repo fee to the city (Torrance, Ca which was 12$ to the city Court House) pay the repo fee, and bring my past due balance current. The only thing that sucks is the process of running out of time during the day and having to wait a whole nother day which equals another day of storage fees. My car was picked up on a Thursday. My fees were paid that Friday afternoon, but because I paid a little after 4 pm the lot was closed :( and I had to wait until Monday to get my car. I must say my situation was HORRIBLE, but it wasnt because of Honda. And Out of all the reps I spoke to they were not all that rude to me (They were kinda like demanding and one person told me more information than they were suppose to but hey he was being nice). So all and all once my account was brought up to date Honda faxed over the release paper. I was able to go to the lot and get my car. (I did have to pay a storage fee of 362.50 CASH???) But I cant just say Honda made the process harder than what it was. If I have anything to complain about its the fact that these lots close SO EARLY and are not open on weekends and cont. to charge you :(. But I just got my car released to me today. My name is Latifah, 55, mother of four, from Malaysia. I am a Honda Civic Hybrid owner. I would assume that with all the recent hype behind the Class Action lawsuit against Honda in the U.S. on grounds of cheating mileage claim and also Heather ** vs. American Honda, Inc. case at California Small Claims Court, you would have probably guessed where my story is heading. Well, to cut a long story short, my Honda Civic Hybrids IMA battery went kaput after a year and ten months of owning it from brand new. My HCH is one of the earlier Hybrids to be purchased in this country. I am not so fussed about the failed technology part of it as this can happen to the very best of us, but I am very concerned and terribly upset about how Honda ridiculed and humiliated a customer who is an early adopter of their Hybrid technology. Instead of helping me out with a technology that they admit is still in its infancy, the company decided to make an example of me, a caution to all and any hybrid buyers, that there is no sympathy from Honda if the expensive IMA battery fails. My initial request to Honda was for a straightforward battery replacement, but they refused, insisting that the fault with the car occurred outside of the warranty period. Having exhausted all avenues of communication with the company, including writing directly to the CEO and receiving no evidence of customer care, we had no choice but to seek compensation through the Malaysian Consumer Tribunal late last year. Even at this point, Honda refused to make an offer for reasonable battery replacement, but instead came up with nonsense terms and warranty which I rejected. The Consumer Tribunal Court here disallow lawyers to represent parties in order to keep cost to a minimum and give access to everyone, and without the benefit of fancy legal jargon to defend themselves against my simple statement of facts, Honda lost. To put it simply, the tribunal found that Honda and the dealer that sold me the car was unable to defend their false advertising that claim of 10-12 years lifespan for the IMA battery. The tribunal ordered them to pay me back an equivalent of US$7,000 in compensation. Just like in Heather **’s case, Honda in Malaysia appealed for a judicial review at the High Court shortly after. I can only release the Consumer Tribunal Grounds for Judgment here as my High Court case is still active. After plenty of spinning and hair splitting by their lawyers, it seems like Honda may get their way after all through the legal channel of this country. But I will have to wait for the verdict to be released 27th of this month. Yes, my story does sound like another typical narration of a victim of corporate fraud who then gets away with it because they can afford expensive lawyers who will do anything to get their clients off the hook. The reason why I am writing this is to seek help from International Media to actually cover my story. My story is minimally picked up by the media here, especially the motoring media as most of them are in the pocket of Hondas advertising department. I wrote to the authority and government agency here, but no one seems to be interested to entertain my complaints either. Meanwhile, Honda enjoys maximum advertising coverage for their Hybrid range by bringing in more Hybrid cars here due to tax incentives. The victim, the public here then blindly buys a Honda Hybrid without knowing that Honda will turn on them once the dirt hits the fan. This is not about my loss anymore; this is about principles and my rights as a customer. If this was back in the days of glorious Japanese industrial standards and discipline, nothing less of Hara-kiri would be expected from Hondas CEO if a blunder like this were to take place. Today, they can pat each other on the back congratulating on their sales success for their infamous fraudulent green car. Hope this finds you well. I am more than happy to answer any questions and I will be grateful with any help that I can get.

I have purchased several Honda cars over the years only to find, in 2019, how far Honda has fallen from its benchmark. I will never buy another Honda automobile. I had the great misfortune of choosing a dealership in Racine, Wisconsin (Racine Honda) to buy a 2019 Honda CRV. When I arrived to take delivery, I noticed that several of the options I had ordered were either not installed or not installed properly. When I pointed this out to the salesman and expressed my displeasure (sincerely but in a business-like manner), the salesman simply walked away from me and did not return. Neither did anyone else and, after ten minutes, I left the dealership. On my way home from this unbelievable experience, I called the dealership manager and expressed my displeasure with the salesman. Incredibly, the manager hung the phone up on me. The message was obvious: Mr. Customer, we got your money, now get out of here. With the dealership showing no regard for my problem, I called Honda corporate. Amazingly, Honda corporate would take no action to address my concerns. In short, Honda corporate told me that they created a file in regard to my problem, but that no action would be taken to resolve my concerns. When you make your important decision on how to spend your hard-earned money, I suggest you remember this experience. Honda will be only too happy to take your money, but as my experience relates, do not expect this company to come to your aid should you have an experience of the kind described here. Absolutely shameful!

Do you think you’re getting a good deal when you buy a Honda. It turns out that the way they make their money off he was by nickel and dime and you throughout the ownership experience. The dealers will make money off you with the ridiculous service intervals from the car. The financial services part of Honda will make money off of you from hitting you with all sorts of fees. The cost of ownership of a Honda is much higher than people realize, because the company‘s business model is to sell good cars are reasonable prices, and then screw you for the remainder of your ownership experience. This was my first Honda, and it will be my last. I have since moved on and bought an Audi, and while the upfront cost is higher, the ownership experience is night and day different. I am writing this to express my disappointment in a recent encounter with H
I am writing this to express my disappointment in a recent encounter with Honda Canada. My family has been dedicated to the Honda brand for over 30 years. My grandparents have purchased Honda their entire lives and their love for the brand was passed on to my parents, and now, my sister and me. When I was 23 years old, my father gifted me his 2001 Honda Accord, which has almost 400,000 km on it and is still going strong. Unfortunately, I was forced to sell my beloved accord when I moved across the country (with 400,000 km on it, I felt uneasy about driving the vehicle cross-country). When I returned to Nova Scotia, I once again demonstrated my loyalty to Honda and purchased a 2006 Civic. In late 2016, I received a recall notice for the passenger side airbag. I was familiar with this recall because I had received the same notice for my accord, which I immediately had fixed at a Honda dealership in Alberta.About two weeks ago, I was driving to work at 5:00am when my car overheated and began smoking. I was forced to pull over on the side of the highway and wait for CAA. That is not the issue, as I understand that it is normal for older vehicles to run into problems. I had the vehicle towed to a local repair shop, where they confirmed that there was a crack in my engine block. Unbeknownst to me, the issue was a nationwide recall. Although I had received the recall notice for the airbag, I was never made aware of the engine block recall. I found out about the recall at 5:30am, on the side of the highway, from my tow truck driver. Due to the recall ending on December 31, 2016, Honda was not willing to replace the engine block free of charge. My family and I reached out to Honda Canada to express the fact that we were never made aware of the recall. Had I known there was a recall, I would have gotten my vehicle fixed immediately. As a now 26-year-old woman, I work very hard to pay for school, insurance, rent and much more. The fact that my car is no longer functioning is truly devastating. After expressing our concerns to Honda, we were told that a representative would get back to us within a week and let us know if there was anything Honda would do for us since we had not been made aware of the recall. Almost two weeks later, Honda Canada got back to us stating that they would pay for the engine block, however I would need to pay $1,500 for labour. Not only is this unaffordable for a full-time student, but it is disappointing that an error made on Hondas behalf would cause me to pay $1,500.I am now without a car and refuse to pay $1,500 in labour to a company that does not stand behind their product. It is truly sad that Honda is losing a family of committed buyers (for over 30 years), due to this incident. I am now looking for a new vehicle, but want to make it very clear that my family and I will not be purchasing another Honda in the future. I hope that $1,500 is worth the loss of a truly committed family of (former) Honda lovers.

I have not one but two 2018 Honda Accords and its only happening one. If it was the environment both of the vehicles would be messed up. My daughter’s Accord paint isn’t messed up and she has had it longer than I have had mine. I have another vehicle that I drive. I drive the SAME route everyday for the last year and I had the other car since 2017, it doesn’t have paint damage either. Something is wrong with the paint on the Honda Accord and I am very disappointed that Honda isnt owning up to it and fixing my vehicle. I have been driving Hondas since 1994. Besides the paint I am very pleased but unless Honda fixes my vehicle I will NEVER buy another Honda in my LIFETIME.

I went into Honda of Burlington here in Washington and was coming in to pay off my 2021 Honda Accord and was persuaded to purchase another vehicle of lesser quality. Within 24 hours of the purchase I regretted this decision because the car was not of equal quality to the car I had drove in there. The general manager called me to tell me she would not give me my original car back. Again it had not even been 24 hours and I had been calling all morning trying to reach someone in management but they were all in meetings. I just wanted my car back and they refused! Not only was this emotionally damaging but the general manager said she could tell I was upset because I was crying and she said I can tell youre upset so I will let you go after telling me I couldnt have my car back and me begging to get it back. She was absolutely horrible! She did not need to be rude as I never once raised my voice or anything. I simply begged to have my car back. She said no! Have a good day and hung up. I have always supported Honda and am very devastated that this is how they do business! I would not recommended them to anyone! How could you do that to someone? They simply got the better end of the deal and would not give me my car back and also told me to just take and trade the car of lesser quality if I didnt like it. Im done with Honda!!!

At 13,000 miles, I detected oil leaking onto my parking space. The dipstick indicated the oil to be 2 quarts low. My Honda dealer did not respond to my concerns via e-mail. I went to the dealership where the service department topped off the oil. I said it appeared that the plug was not secured properly when last serviced there. My leak improved but seemed to continue. Another e-mail was ignored. I traded for another brand.

When I bought my 05 Honda Accord Hybrid, I was told the hybrid battery would last to 150,000 to 200,000 miles. At 81,000, just after the warranty expired, the check engine & IMA (hybrid battery) light came on. I paid $300 for a software upgrade at the time & was assured by Honda Customer Service that they would stand by their product. Over the next couple of years, the lights came on periodically and Ive had to pay for additional software upgrades. The last time it happened, the lights came on again less than 30 days later. Now Honda is saying the battery is bad and needs to be replaced, at my expense. I have called several dealers and gotten estimates ranging from $2,700 to $5,700 (for parts only). When I purchased this car, I was told the battery would cost $2,000 or less. Now Im stuck with a car that will not pass a state safety inspection without paying several thousand dollars for a replacement battery. On top of it, the car has NEVER gotten the mileage Honda claimed it would get. In fact, it gets WORSE mileage than my last Honda Accord.

In December 2014 I purchased a new 2015 Honda Accord. On July 9, 2015 my AIR CONDITIONER stopped working. I live in Florida where the summer is extremely hot making even the shortest of trips very uncomfortable. I took my car to the dealership the next morning for service, knowing that I have a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty in addition to an extended warranty. I was sure that the repair would be covered under warranty. I was informed that a rock/pebble had pierced my condenser which put a pinhole in it, and it is NOT covered under warranty. Honda indicated that the cost to fix the condenser is $716.85. I went to the dealership twice to speak with the General Manager to see if this can be resolved given that my car is only 8 months old with only 9000 miles and I was told to go through my insurance company. I also reached out to Honda of America and was told that the damage was caused by road debris and is not covered under warranty. This is an obvious design flaw. The Honda air-conditioning condenser is unduly prone to damage caused by normal road debris that does not affect other auto manufacturers condenser design. As with other auto makers, the front bumper clip is wide open to any kind of road debris and the condenser sits right behind the front air intake with NO protection at all. However, this typical design poses a problem for the Honda condensers and will happen over & over again, and Honda refuses to do anything about it calling it normal and working as designed! This should be a recall.

I have a 2014 CRV. Side panels on both driver and passenger side have faded quite a bit, 2 buttons on radio do not work. (We hardly use radio). Back seat does not go down all the way. I have only had seat opened up twice to vacuum and now it does not go back down all the way unless you are sitting on it. Lastly the trunk does not open. It works on and off once every 2 weeks I can unlock and open, every other time I have to throw things in trunk through back seat. These things are definitely not from wear and tear, have never had issues like this in any other car I have owned. Of course I was told through dealership that all of the above is only covered in first 3 years.

It is very useful that the forward facing camera picks up the speed limit signs and shows them for you. Honda had a recall on their power steering hose because these leaked. Mine actually developed a leak so bad that the fluid leaked onto the exhaust and created so much smoke that my wife thought the car was on fire (she was driving it alone). She did make it home and I let it cool down and checked the situation. All of the fluid had leaked out and after refilling it, the power steering pump made a terrible noise. We got Honda to replace the hose under the recall but they refused to replace the pump because they said that after the 36,000-mile warranty... too bad basically. They seemed to agree that the faulty hose caused the fluid to all leak out which in turn ruined the pump but refused to cover it. We were thinking of buying a new Accord until this. If they admit to making a crappy part, they should cover everything that is damaged by that part.

This has been my first time dealing with Honda. I leased two cars, Civic and Odyssey. This has been the worst experience in my life. I will never ever recommend buying or leasing or doing any business with Honda. Along the last 6 weeks, I have discouraged at least 15 of my friends from ever thinking in buying or leasing any Honda. Setting my account on line has been a nightmare and trying to make a payment was a nightmare. My temporary license is almost expiring in couple days and dealer is just careless. I made more than 7 visits to the dealer after leasing the two stupid cars to resign papers that were done by mistake. I do hate Honda. I do hate anyone who recommends Honda. I will always mention about my very poor experience and waste of time and discourage everyone I know to do business with Honda. I am seriously considering asking my lawyer to start a lawsuit against Honda for all the hassle and inconvenience I had. I am just waiting to have my temporary registration to expire and will sue you for the hassle and harassment and consequences for not being able to use my cars. Honda just goes to the hill. In continuation with the worst ever experience I had in my life dealing with Honda and its dealers, two days ago I received a call from the customer service of Honda to follow up regarding my complaint. The person who spoke to me lied to me and mentioned that he arranged for someone from the Midland dealer to bring to my home the renewed registration (plates) that expire on February 8th. He claimed someone will deliver the two temporary registrations today, February 8th. As expected, he was a liar and the dealer was a liar and no one came to my address. Tomorrow, February 9th, my two cars do not have valid license plates. Honda finances and the dealer who leased the two cars to me have already collected the fees for the lease and for the registration. Starting tomorrow, I will be charging Honda one thousand dollars per day until I receive the registration. The lease deal with Honda is no longer honored and I am not responsible for any payments until registrations are delivered to my address. I am also keeping my legal rights for suing Honda for compensation for the inconvenience and harassment. I will be talking to my lawyer to start legal actions against Honda. This email is a formal notification of your responsibility for the scam I have been exposed to.

2000 Honda Accord EX-V6 4spd Automatic - I began having issues with my transmission about a month ago. It started with slippage then hard shifting into reverse, and now, it hardly shifts from 1st into 2nd. It holds 1st way too long then shifts out of 1st, slips, and then slams into 2nd, causing the shift indicator light to blink and a check engine light code. The car was purchased new and currently has 130,000 miles. From what Ive read on the internet, it is a common recurring problem that Honda is aware of. I feel there needs to be an extended recall to 150,000 miles.

3 years ago I bought a used Honda Civic from Honda of Seattle. I am the 2nd owner of the car, it had a clean Carfax, and low miles, 36100 when I bought it. So, for a car like this, I paid a high price, about $12000 after finishing paying my car loan. I recently noticed a coolant leak under my car and a couple of days later I brought it in to Honda of Bellevue for an inspection. A day later they told me that my engine block is cracked and forgot to mention that this is in fact a manufacturer defect, that HONDA admitted and for several times increased the warranty up to 10 years. They insulted me, offering me a $300 cash for the car, or to repair it for about $10000 just for labor - engine not included!I contacted Honda corporation and both dealerships here in Seattle area, they are all trying to wash their hands and not admitting to the fact that this is a MANUFACTURING DEFECT! They said, that they dont have maintenance history since I bought it. I bought this car in good faith, from a reputable dealership, thinking that it will serve me for many years if I treat it well, change oil and filters in time, which I DID! But I dont think its my fault they tried to cut corners to make the car cheaper and then realized that they messed up.All 2006 to 2009 Civics are in the position to have this issues at one point. For me it happened at 65k miles for others at 19k. Whatever the mileage, it will ALWAYS BE a MANUFACTURER DEFECT and HONDA should have the decency to warranty every person that bought this car, regardless of mileage and not just for 10 years. So, next time youre thinking to go to a Honda Dealership, to buy a car, thinking they are there for their clients...think twice. They are there to sell you a car, not to support you when you have a problem with it. Im very disappointed in HONDAs dealership dismissing attitude and lack of care in giving their clients the support they need when needed!

I purchased two cars over the last 6 months, and 5 in the last few years. Not to mention all the people I have sent to Dublin Honda over the last 10 years. I have never been so resentful and betrayed after my last purchase at Dublin Honda, Dublin CA. I trusted them, which of course was my first mistake and my second was not taking care of this immediately. But over the last few months Ive lost my dad. My dog who is only 2 was diagnosed with congenital kidney failure. She is an English Bulldog and the breeder is facing 10 yrs in prison. Ive had to be out of town often lately and in fact the night I purchased this Acura I was leaving town for 3 wks so I purchased at night, then very early the next morning I simply parked it at the airport and didnt have a chance to really view all the things wrong until later. I contacted Steve ** whom is the GM and in charge of the dealership. He gave me the impression that he was going to work with me, and help me to resolve the issues I have with the car I was sold. But upon meeting with him (He told his employees he had to leave for an ER) however when I saw him he indicated he was just about to leave. I told him everything I was concerned about and he said there was nothing he could do. He asked me why I traded in the brand new 2015 Honda Civic I purchased a month before!!! Why is this relevant??? I had the car inspected and it has been found to have so many issues. I couldnt get 14k for the car two months after I purchased it. I spent 20k in CASH. I was told the car had one owner, was in mint condition and so on. The tires are the cheapest worst rated tires on the market, definitely not made for an Acura. The floor has large holes where something has rusted/eaten away at the carpet and left holes. The windshield has a crack. I was given only one broken key, no floor-mats. There are scratches all over that have been painted with a paint pen, dents on quarter panel, front under license plate, frayed leather seats, scratched rims. (ONLY A 4 CYLINDER) I was told it was a V6. I will forward pictures of all the damage and also know I contacted the salesperson a few days after I purchased and told him about the scratches and dents. I think the worst part of this entire situation is how badly Steve ** has treated me. This is after 10 yrs of loyal dedication to the dealership. He didnt even try to work on fixing any of these issues. In very good condition this car isnt worth 14k!!!

I would highly advise against ever purchasing a Honda vehicle as they have very sketchy lease turn in practices. My husband (a former Honda technician) and I turned in our 2 vehicles with the intent of purchasing 2 new Hondas, however they did not have any good deals going on so we chose to go with another brand. A month after turning our vehicles in we received a letter stating we owe close to 400 dollars for what I would consider to be normal wear and tear on my husbands vehicle (one small dent on one of the doors, a small tear in the floor under the accelerator and a small crack in the windshield which had just been replaced a few month prior, and had they told us this we could have gotten it fixed free through our insurance.) Our person who sold us our new vehicles told us they are pissed because we didnt purchase Hondas again, oh well we would have if they were more willing to make a deal!Apparently on their website somewhere it says in fine print that before turning your vehicle in you can have your own inspection done. Who in their right mind would think to go looking for something like this, or even think that they would need to do this. Our vehicles sat on the lot where they were turned in for 11 days before they were inspected by someone from Honda, we did not turn them in with a crack in the windshield and dent in the door so this obviously happened while in their possession.Following a few letters from an attorney on our behalf acknowledging that we are willing to pay to replace the carpet (even though I feel it is normal wear and tear) but we feel the other things are not our responsibility, Honda sent the matter to a collection agency without even trying to remedy the situation. Honda did not even reach out to discuss this matter with us, they just dismissed it completely showing they dont really care about their customers being happy. Had this have been resolved in a better manner, in 3 years when our leases are up if they had good deals going on we would have gone back to Honda, however now we will NEVER purchase a Honda vehicle again. I will also advise anyone we know who is thinking about purchasing a Honda vehicle not to for the rest of my life!

I went to a Honda dealer local in Jefferson City, MO on Monday, April 29th, in the evening to look at new Honda Accords. We could not come up with an agreement for $16,000 that was offered for my 2012 Accord from a local Kia car dealer. I asked for the keys to my used 2012 Accord back from the used car manager. He refused to hand the keys back over to me. At this point, I was very loud and demanded my keys back stating I could not deal with him on a new 2013 new Accord and wanted to leave. He asked me to sit down. I refused then he kept badgering me till I finally signed paperwork on a new 2013 Accord. By this time, 8:45 pm, almost an hour after the dealership already closed, I signed paperwork for a new car. I did not even drive the new car off the lot of the dealership. I slept very poorly that evening! I went to the Honda dealership as soon as they opened that morning, Tuesday April 30th, and tried my very best to explain that I felt that I was rushed/forced to buy that car that night and wanted to pay for any and all paperwork cost that was created on my behalf. The used car manager then proceeded to tell me that it was a done deal and I had already bought the new Accord keeping in mind I never even had time or a chance to drive the car. I offered $500 or whatever it took to reverse the paperwork. The manager stated all the paperwork was already turned in and I now owned the car and there was nothing I can do about it. The new car still sits at the dealer. I told them not to pre-deliver it or install any of the options that were wanted. They refused to comply so then I contacted my attorney to ask for legal help in the matter. Please note this is the 5th new car I have bought from this dealer so I have been a loyal Honda customer to Honda and the Honda dealership. Right now, I am worried about my near perfect credit score as a result from this mess. I am very angry at the high pressure sales and lack of cooperation from this dealership even when I never drove the new car and I am willing to pay for any and all inconvenience. This has been a very bad experience and I would highly recommend going to another dealership.

When I brake, especially going downhill, the steering wheel starts to shake. I have driven the car for only 21,000 miles - Accord 2012. Also, the driving seat is very uncomfortable. At times, when its summer, the AC smells like something is rotten. Is there something that Honda can do to replace or fix these problems?

Replaced battery 3 times in 2 years due to, in their words, not driving it enough! What a load of garbage. Then charged me for the battery and a diagnostic fee. I have E mailed numerous Honda officials to no avail. Offered a Honda gift card which is worthless as I am trading the car in for an American car due to all these problems. You have been warned!

This email regards a horrible customer service experience I have had with Honda. I have had a problem with my 2017 Hatch - the center console randomly begins a series of beeps (beep-beep-beep) and throws my iPhone, especially the navigation system, off of the system. I have video recorded the problem happening and taken it to my dealer and another dealer on 4 occasions. They cannot replicate the problem.I called Honda USA to seek additional help. My case was given to a case manager - LUIS - who argued with me, made me cry on every phone conversation, even angered my even-tempered husband. I am seeking help with this problem and all I got was verbal abuse. When I asked to speak to a manager or another agent, I was told by LUIS that I could only speak with him. This one experience - this one experience alone - has decided me that Honda is not the company for me. You seem not to care about a problem that I am sure with time will end up in some sort of recall situation - I simply cant imagine that my car is the only one having this problem. If your customer service is so uncaring and apathetic, then I simply cant be a part of this company.

I am filing a complaint and will continue to until my voice is heard. I bought a 2014 Honda Accord - left over in 2015, brand new 12 miles on the car. It is now 04/2017 and the clear coat is pitting ALL OVER THE CAR. There are 7 cars behind our home. I am the only one with a Honda and the only one with this problem. The Moon Honda dealership said it was due to the environment... Two Chevys (1 white, 1 black), Chrysler 200, Lincoln, Mazda and a Nissan are also parked behind our home and none of these brands have a problem with their clear coat. This is not right and Honda has lost a customer... All that needed to be done was realize the clear coat is bad and offer to treat me as a valued customer by fixing this and re-painting.Reporting this so others with this problem will realize it is not bird poop, other environmental situations or something else the dealership states is why they will not offer up a correction and re-paint their vehicle so it does not shred and look like a car that was in a fire or washed with vinegar... Look around and guarantee you will see a peeled up Honda. Shameful.

I called Honda because I bought a new 2016 HR-V EX AWD which has the keyless system. The owners guide states I can unlock all doors with the trunk release. It does not and I learned that the owners manual states something different. I also complained to the phone contact because the only door that opens all doors is the passenger door, unlike past vehicles I have had where pushing the button twice opens all doors. I was told this was a security feature of the vehicle. However, it would be just as secure if it required two pushes for all doors and only the current handle grab for the drivers door. When I asked how to get both issues repaired I was told the drivers door was engineered that way and could not be fixed because it was not broken. They will be calling back about the trunk to clarify which is correct, the owners guide or owners manual.I was pleased the company is willing to respond quickly but am entirely dissatisfied with their denial that the doors could be altered given that this version of the car is quite a bit more money than the version with remote entry instead of keyless entry. As the driver, I either have to fish the key fob out of my purse or make my kids wait until I am inside the car to let them in. Im having to train them to stop yanking on the door handles until I am inside. Worse is that I cannot open the back doors myself without the same maneuvering, difficult if I am hauling items I have stored in the back seat.

I purchased a 2017 Honda Ridgeline truck. I live on a small ranch located 3 miles off the paved road. At 23,000 miles, my check engine light came on indicating a problem with my emissions system. I was told that the emissions canister under the truck was filled with dust and dirt (from my road) and that it would cost me $700 to repair this problem. I was told that this same problem would come back every 15K to 20K miles. The service manager told me that the truck was never designed for dirt road, but rather it was a city truck. I immediately drove to the Toyota dealer and traded in the truck for something more reliable. Buyer Beware, this little detail does not appear in the Honda literature.

My wife and I bought this vehicle brand new. After the first 2000 miles, the tires were transmitting the street vibration into the cab. It was so loud that you cant carry a normal conversation. Furthermore the vehicle develops a weird action that stalls the engine when you try to accelerate to pass another vehicle. In both cases, we took the car to the dealership and they did nothing claiming that the diagnostic machine found nothing. Nevertheless we end up replacing the car for a 2013 Toyota Camry SE. Its quiet as a church mouse and has an excellent acceleration. Goodbye forever, Honda!!

My CD player in my 2007 Honda Accord, which I use sparingly as I have 2 other vehicles and 2 Honda motorcycles, started giving an error message. Then, my CD player would not work properly. I can no longer eject the three CDs that are in the player. I learned that the 2003-2004 Accords had a service bulletin (04-027 dated 07/09/04) concerning the CD player which the same unit was used in the 2007 Accord. The Honda dealer here in Greenville, NC recommended that I take it to a local (tech) shop and have them do the service. The Honda dealership here in Greenville, NC would charge me $92.00 just to take the CD player out and ship it off to wherever they send it to for service. Then, I would have to pay to have it serviced and again to have it re-installed. I have learned (online) that there is a significant problem with this 6-CD Changer in 2007 Accords. Honda refuses to stand behind their product and wants to shift the cost to the consumer. I have been fairly satisfied with my 2007 Accord, which I bought from Coastal Carolina Honda of New Bern, NC (no longer in business). I thought that from here on out I would only purchase Honda vehicles for the rest of my life. Now, after also seeing how Honda failed to stand behind correcting a problem on my Honda Magna motorcycle, which also had a service bulletin regarding engine overheating because of lack of oil flow that they later re-engineered in newer models, drilling an additional hole in the engine head to allow for more oil flow, my mind has been made up concerning Honda and all of their products. I will no longer purchase any Honda product. I really believed that the company had more integrity than that. But, boy, was I ever wrong! I will soon sell my Honda Accord and motorcycles and kiss Honda goodbye. Life is too short to allow such aggravation in your life. Who needs a company that will not stand behind their own products? I am pretty conscientious about taking care of my things. The problems that have arisen from my Honda car and motorcycle, were due to no fault of my own. They were problems Honda created by their poor engineering and even when the company was made aware of such problems, they continued to pass the cost on to the consumer. Honda was not concerned about saving face. They were more concerned about getting as many US dollars as they could and not having to pay out anything to correct poorly engineered mistakes that they sold and passed on to the consumer. Buyer beware! Not even Honda is concerned about doing the right thing. I have purchased my last Honda product and I will make sure that I do everything I can to let others know to watch out if theyre even thinking about purchasing a Honda.
