After my accident and insurance inspection, there were four to five damaged parts which were to be replaced (caused due to accident) and was told that within seven to ten working days, I will get the car back. I have been waiting everyday but things seem to proceed further.Today, after three weeks of continuous chase, I finally get an answer from Ayub ** (General Manager of Hall Mark Honda) that the spare parts are still not available and will let me know by tomorrow for the exact status. Ayub also mentioned that I may also put up a complaint on customer care. Today, I have made a complaint to the Customer Care--my complaint number is **.In the beginning, when we were to give the vehicle for servicing, why didnt they check with their big company for the spare parts prior to giving commitments to us? I require my car for commuting to work on a daily basis and with such delays and poor service, it is really not worth buying a Honda car.I have gotten sick and tired with no correct feedback, following-up with the branch, and getting atrocious responses like, we shall get back to you in two hours or the responsible person is not available. I really think that Honda is testing our patience. Such inadequate service and inefficient staff! We will no longer seek or expect any help from your branchs disinterested individuals, who seems to be highly skilled ** jugglers.Kindly consider my dissatisfaction and disappointment with such useless services and try to solve my query soon. It is suffice to say that I have now given up on my futile and foolhardy quest but I still hope to receive some kind of service from you. I am awaiting immediate response.

I am the original owner of a 2001 Honda Accord with 75000 miles. Yes, it is out of warranty, but the transmission is slipping, it should not go at this point. Also, I brought in my car for a recall on the airbags now (never a problem), now the airbag light is on was told nothing comes up on the computer and dont put my purse on the front seat. Really? Is that the best they have? Im disgusted, never another Honda.

I purchased a 2022 Honda HRV from Honda dealership, Carbone Honda, who sold to LED. My car stalled a couple times and salesperson said it was the energy saving feature, not really stalling. I had aftermarket car starter installed. Then car became difficult to start and stopped while driving on highway. They blamed the car starter and charged me to remove it and restore to factory. On my way home it shut off again. They then determined the washer holding the main ground wire was not staying locked and replaced it. Told me it wasn’t the car starter. I’m out $550 for car starter and removal of it. I’m afraid to put it back in because any issue will be blamed on it. I’m being bullied into buying their product. They refuse to return my money and I drove the car unsafely for a couple of months. I was basically called a liar by the Service Manager 12/17/21. Offered to discount factory car starter to $650 + tax and $100 loyalty card if I met the Honda Rep and signed a release. Honda Corp has an open case but always tell me that all they can do is talk to dealership. Whenever you call dealership no one answers, was told they had no receptionist in Service so they answer when they are not busy. I will never buy from Honda again!!

My mom drives a 2007 Honda CR-V. Honda issued a recall for the drivers side airbag in early 2016 and, unable to replace the airbag, parked the car behind the dealer and issued her a loaner in February and March of 2016. After 2 months sitting at Honda, they brought her car home so it would be inside a garage while waiting for the airbag replacement. During this time, she had the house on the market so she could move closer to my sister and I as my father passed away. We were concerned that the car would not be available for the 700 mile move all along and expressed this to the dealer who told her she could drive the car all over the country, contrary to what we were hearing in the media and from the Honda itself about the Takata airbag dangers. The house sold and we immediately informed Honda (the dealer and customer support) that we would need a car to move to Illinois. I told Tanya at Honda Customer Support we would have to rent a similar vehicle to pack and make the move if Honda could not replace the airbag in the CR-V. After speaking with Tanya many times, I was told that that we would be fully reimbursed by Honda for the expenses related to the airbag replacement and that there was no daily reimbursement limit. We rented the closest size SUV available (Pathfinder) and packed it for the move. Three days before the move Honda called and said they would be able to replace the airbag a day before the move.I had to unpack the rental car, drive an hour to return it and take a cab back to Honda to pick up the car. We submitted the expense report for $1,292.54 for the rental, gas and cab to Honda. After multiple calls, a reimbursement check for $162.11 arrived, wrong address and wrong payee. It has not been cashed. Honda will not put Tanya on the phone and says now the limit is $32.00 a day. I have made it clear to them that I had asked her multiple times about a reimbursement limit before renting the replacement vehicle and that Tanya said no limit. Honda has blatantly lied and my 79 year old mom is out $1,292.54. I have spent months dealing with this issue. Since I asked Honda more than once about reimbursement rates before renting a replacement vehicle, my mom deserves every penny she spent on this debacle and an apology from American Honda.

Windshield was cracked and has chips in it. It was not repaired, dealer said it was repaired. The chips are still there and the headlight on right side out of alignment. Dealer said it was fixed, it wasnt. I had a different tech at the dealer look at the light, and he fixed it with in 5 min. The main issue is the air temperature between the dash vent and floor is greatly different. The dealer said it is normal. When I picked up my car, I was told I could compare my car to another which I did. The air temp in the second car was I feel it should be the dash air temp and the floor temp was the same temp. The tech also agreed there was an issue. My issue that the dealer is saying things got fixed but really they didnt. What’s up with Checked Flag Virginia Beach, VA.? I will be talking to Checked Flag on Monday, 01 30 2012 about this issues.

I have nearly 200,000 miles on this car and have had only one major repair. Love it. Leather seats, heated, great space for hauling whatever, smooth ride, good gas mileage. The transmission did fail at around 175,000 miles but got a rebuilt one that works great (also we have a great mechanic). Recalls have been taken care of quickly. This car is a tank!

After around 10,000 miles I noticed the chrome peeling on my 2013 Accord EXL. These were special ordered at a cost of $1600! The dealer replaced them, and now at 26,000 they are peeling again! Very cheap chrome plating job. Now the only alternative without any out of pocket expense is to downgrade to a standard stock wheel, if I want to steer away from the the obviously defective chrome like wheels I paid an exuberant price for. What a rip off!

My CD player in my 2007 Honda Accord, which I use sparingly as I have 2 other vehicles and 2 Honda motorcycles, started giving an error message. Then, my CD player would not work properly. I can no longer eject the three CDs that are in the player. I learned that the 2003-2004 Accords had a service bulletin (04-027 dated 07/09/04) concerning the CD player which the same unit was used in the 2007 Accord. The Honda dealer here in Greenville, NC recommended that I take it to a local (tech) shop and have them do the service. The Honda dealership here in Greenville, NC would charge me $92.00 just to take the CD player out and ship it off to wherever they send it to for service. Then, I would have to pay to have it serviced and again to have it re-installed. I have learned (online) that there is a significant problem with this 6-CD Changer in 2007 Accords. Honda refuses to stand behind their product and wants to shift the cost to the consumer. I have been fairly satisfied with my 2007 Accord, which I bought from Coastal Carolina Honda of New Bern, NC (no longer in business). I thought that from here on out I would only purchase Honda vehicles for the rest of my life. Now, after also seeing how Honda failed to stand behind correcting a problem on my Honda Magna motorcycle, which also had a service bulletin regarding engine overheating because of lack of oil flow that they later re-engineered in newer models, drilling an additional hole in the engine head to allow for more oil flow, my mind has been made up concerning Honda and all of their products. I will no longer purchase any Honda product. I really believed that the company had more integrity than that. But, boy, was I ever wrong! I will soon sell my Honda Accord and motorcycles and kiss Honda goodbye. Life is too short to allow such aggravation in your life. Who needs a company that will not stand behind their own products? I am pretty conscientious about taking care of my things. The problems that have arisen from my Honda car and motorcycle, were due to no fault of my own. They were problems Honda created by their poor engineering and even when the company was made aware of such problems, they continued to pass the cost on to the consumer. Honda was not concerned about saving face. They were more concerned about getting as many US dollars as they could and not having to pay out anything to correct poorly engineered mistakes that they sold and passed on to the consumer. Buyer beware! Not even Honda is concerned about doing the right thing. I have purchased my last Honda product and I will make sure that I do everything I can to let others know to watch out if theyre even thinking about purchasing a Honda.

I purchased a 2002 Honda. I was refused a test drive. The air conditioning was not working and the radio didnt work. I took it in for service for the air conditioning, then the maintenance required light was on. After receiving the serviced car, it stalled when making turns 4 days later. I took the car to a Honda dealer to have it checked and was told it was the timing belt causing the engine to cease and low oil. My question is, the car was in the shop less than a week prior and doesnt work. I attempted to return the vehicle to the dealer. Coleman is refusing to take it back. Honda car is a dud and Coleman refuses to satisfy the customer.

This email regards a horrible customer service experience I have had with Honda. I have had a problem with my 2017 Hatch - the center console randomly begins a series of beeps (beep-beep-beep) and throws my iPhone, especially the navigation system, off of the system. I have video recorded the problem happening and taken it to my dealer and another dealer on 4 occasions. They cannot replicate the problem.I called Honda USA to seek additional help. My case was given to a case manager - LUIS - who argued with me, made me cry on every phone conversation, even angered my even-tempered husband. I am seeking help with this problem and all I got was verbal abuse. When I asked to speak to a manager or another agent, I was told by LUIS that I could only speak with him. This one experience - this one experience alone - has decided me that Honda is not the company for me. You seem not to care about a problem that I am sure with time will end up in some sort of recall situation - I simply cant imagine that my car is the only one having this problem. If your customer service is so uncaring and apathetic, then I simply cant be a part of this company.

Do you think you’re getting a good deal when you buy a Honda. It turns out that the way they make their money off he was by nickel and dime and you throughout the ownership experience. The dealers will make money off you with the ridiculous service intervals from the car. The financial services part of Honda will make money off of you from hitting you with all sorts of fees. The cost of ownership of a Honda is much higher than people realize, because the company‘s business model is to sell good cars are reasonable prices, and then screw you for the remainder of your ownership experience. This was my first Honda, and it will be my last. I have since moved on and bought an Audi, and while the upfront cost is higher, the ownership experience is night and day different. I don’t feel like I’m getting screwed over every single interaction I have with the dealer or the company.

I recently received a recall notice for a new Honda SXS we purchased. The recall was for a safety issue related to the steering joint assembly. They say they will repair it free of charge. Keep in mind, upon receipt of this notice it is no longer safe to operate the vehicle until an inspection/repair is performed. Thus, rendering the vehicle unusable. The local dealer wants to charge to come pickup the unit or the owner must bring the unit to the dealer for the inspection/repair. Due to COVID-19 we decided to go with the first option. However, thats an additional $100-$150 charge from the dealer for a problem that Honda created! Asked American Honda is they would reimburse and they decided to recite the warranty which exempts them from paying for the transportation. Under normal circumstances this would be acceptable, however, due to COVID one would think they would make an exception and do the right thing for a lifelong customer. NOPE! There are simply too many choices out there when it comes to vehicles and too many other companies willing to do the right thing. Honda will never see my business again and I would recommend anyone looking for a Honda to reconsider and go with a more customer oriented organization that would be more deserving of your business.

I left Detroit Metro Airport at 6:30 p.m. after a flight from Mexico with my kids. My Honda Odyssey had 1,500 on it - less than 1 month old. I got a flat tire at Ford Road and 269. I had paid for tire and wheel protection (as well as roadside assistance) so I thought, no big deal. I pulled into a sketchy gas station and called Honda Roadside Assistance (RSA) at just before 7 p.m. The guy on the other end asked for my make and model number (and VIN) and asked if he could use my phone to geolocate me. I said fine. I still had to read him the address of the gas station THREE times and he sent a tow truck from 40 minutes away. This is Detroit, mind you. There are tow trucks on every corner. I called the tow company and they said they could be there at 8:45... I had two children with me. I asked the Honda RSA guy where the spare tire was located so I could change it myself. He said, Do you have a spare? I said, I have had this vehicle for 3 weeks. I dont know. I was hoping you would. He said he would, Pray for me. I dont think prayer is a course of action. He also told me to check the trunk of the car for the spare. I had to tell him that minivans dont have trunks. He asked if the spare might be under the car. Again, I said ... its a minivan, not a car. I asked it he had access to the owners materials online. He said, I dont think so. Before the tow truck could arrive, I had: Foraged behind a dumpster for stones to brace my van; Consulted the owners manual for instructions; Found the spare and jack; Changed the tire. This was awesome considering the RSA guy told me they would only tow me to the closest dealership (60 miles away from my house) and leave me there if I couldnt change the tire myself or find an Uber/Family to take me home. The only other option was to pay $5/mile for a tow back to Lansing. Wait... Whaaaat? I thought that was why I had RSA??? I changed the tire myself. They called me three times on the way home to tell me the tow had been delayed. I took the wheel/tire to Honda today to get it replaced. They will, indeed, replace the tire... But not the spare. The spare specifically says for limited use only and says no more than 70 miles. At this point I have 100+ miles on it. I want a new spare, too. They said they would replace it if it was punctured. So now I have to wait until Im double stranded to get that stuff replaced. STUPID, just stupid.

I purchased a brand new 2010 Honda Accord from Elk Grove Honda last year. Recently I heard a grinding noise just before I started the engine. I took my car to Elk Grove Honda for repair and was told they already knew a lot of Honda Accords have this problem. They will not repair it as this is how the Honda engineers design it and I should turn my ignition key very fast in order to ignore this noise. I did some research and found out this problem is caused by the bad VTC actuator in many of the Honda Accord model. The Elk Grove Honda still refused to repair my defective car even it is still under warranty.

Early last year (2017) the paint on the roof started to peel and chip and is growing at an alarming rate. The cost to repair this runs about $5,000 in upstate NY, an extended paint warranty was given that expired in 2016 (VERY sneaky Honda). Also the starter motors are garbage, expect to replace once every 2 years or so (another $800 after labor and parts every time). Very surprised Honda has stooped this low on quality but I guess we get what we pay for. That being said no complaints about engine life, which seems to be its only strong point.

I called them several times. The pressure on the wand built up and my husband could not get it to release. They told us to take it to a repair shop. I told them it is a safety issue, if someone was around when that pressure released, it would hurt anyone close by and I did not want to load it and haul it for that reason. It was a commercial heavy duty washer, which we thought would last longer, it is about 3 yrs. old. It is used maybe twice a month, and just for personal use at home.Needless to say it is just sitting out our way so when it blows hopefully no one will get hurt. Now Im officially freaked out. I bought a 2021 new HR-V from Huntington Honda (NY) and I’m discovering this new car with all this rust. I showed it to two local mechanics who are shocked and confused as to why there is rust underneath the steering column. I also noted the rust underneath my 31-day old 2021 Honda HR-V. Is this normal? And is there missing insulation in the photo next to the steering column? Is that maybe why these models make a horrible annoying noise when driving 35 plus miles an hour? I’m talking about a piercing whistling noise whenever I crack open a window or moon roof, which according to Huntington Honda, the noise appeared in 2 other 2021 HR-Vs they test drove, and I’m supposed to live with this as if it’s normal. There’s video of this whistling issue in YouTube regarding a 2018 HR-V. In the comments for that video, you’ll see many other Honda HR-V owners complain about the same issue. Did I buy a lemon? Does Honda make bad cars or does Huntington just sell a batch of badly built Hondas. Im wondering if the 0% APR was just a ploy so they could get rid of defectively built cars. I bought this new HRV because I wanted a safe vehicle for my family. The purchase was supposed to be such a joyous thing. What a mistake! My entire family is flipping out! What the hell else is wrong w this car?Anyone experiencing this with the new Hondas or cars from Huntington Honda? Would I have had a better luck at a different Honda dealer? Should I have bought a Toyota, Nissan, or Hyundai? Im super stressed about how much I spent on this car, and no one from the dealer is calling me back, responding timely or willing to help me resolve this. BTW, heres the YouTube video of the horrible noise that these Hondas are making. **

I purchased a 2010 Honda Accord from Anderson Honda in Maryland. When I purchased my vehicle, I inquired about getting a bluetooth device installed. I was told that if I got the device as part of my purchase that it would be covered under 3-year 36,000 mile warranty that came with the car. I purchased it (the item is on my Vehicle Purchase Agreement) and subsequently, the car went from MD to CA with my daughter. The bluetooth device is now dropping calls, and my daughter went to get it repaired in CA. Miller Honda told her it was aftermarket, and they would not fix it. I called Anderson and my sales representative, Jim **, told me, “Oh that was if the car was here in Maryland.” I told him that at the time I told him I was taking the car to my daughter in California and he said it will be covered under the car’s 3-year 36,000 mile warranty. I am angry, because I financed this item when I could have paid cash for it and had it installed after the purchase. Also, I was told that this was a factory Honda item (Hands Free Link), and if I knew it was an aftermarket item, I may have gotten a NAV or more sophisticated item for my money. Finally, I am angry because Honda is not living up to its obligations and lied to me to get me to purchase this item that they now do not want to stand behind. I had a bad experience years ago with a Renault and have stayed away from companies that I thought were not reputable. I should have stayed with Toyota, I guess. I could not see due to solar glare and accidentally hit a 4-foot steel pole at about 10 miles an hour. I was wearing gloves because it was very cold that morning. My 2003 Honda Odyssey airbag deployed and the chemical from the airbag burned holes through both gloves. I did suffer minor burns but basically the gloves protected me from very serious burns. According to Honda, based on my VIN, I do not have an airbag that necessitated recall. This is my 3rd Honda in the course of 20 years and I am very disappointed. I also feel so fortunate that it was a cold morning when the airbag went off.

I own a 2011 Honda Accord of which I bought brand new in May of this year. Within three days of buying, I turned on the A/C and it wouldnt work. I took it in and they said that it wasnt plugged in from the factory. The funny thing is that I had the checklist from the factory and the A/C was signed off as working. Hmm! The second incident was when the car had about 3,000 miles and the check engine light came on. I took it in and they said that my O2 sensor was bad and they needed to replace it. Upon switching out the O2 sensor, they realized that the VTEC solenoid had a leak and it was leaking oil over the O2 sensors destroying it. They then replaced them both.My Honda now has about 10,000 miles and the A/C quit working again within the past two weeks. I took it in today and they told me that a small rock must have flown through my grill puncturing my A/C condenser and all of the freon leaked out. Now, I need multiple parts replaced. The cost is about $960 and it is not covered by the warranty. The serviceman told my husband that he sees this happening a lot. It is so frustrating to purchase a Honda that is supposed to be one of the most reliable cars and it is constantly failing. I am afraid to pay the grand to fix it only to have it possibly happen again. I think that I have counted eight times that it has been in/out of the shop to either be assessed or fixed. I am so done with Hondas!

I have a new 2016 Civic and it is a great car. It is my fourth Civic, but there are a couple of things that I do not like about it. It does not have a CD player in it. I do not like any of the stations on the radio and I do not like the music of today. I loved listening to my music from the 50s, 60s and some of the 70s, but now I cannot do that because you opted not to put CD players in your new cars. I am not a person that has a Ipod, so that is not an option to listen to. I was very disappointed when I found out about this feature. The trunk door lock on the drivers door is an annoyance. I cannot reach the door handle to close the door when I get in so I have to grab on to the pocket where the button for the trunk button is and 9 out of 10 times I hit it and have to get out of the car to close the trunk. Why didnt you leave it where it was on the 2013 Civics??? Whoever makes these changes should think of the Seniors that purchase these vehicles and leave some things alone. Other than those two features that I just explained, the car is great and I do love it. Thank you for listening.

I was involved in an automobile accident in a 2004 Honda CRV recently and have a couple of questions. My vehicle was setting at a complete stop and was struck in the rear at approximately 55mph. Both myself and my passenger were injured. Neither of the front seat belts engaged to restrain us and even after hitting the vehicle in front of us, no airbags deployed. I am being told that in a high speed rear end collision, the seat belts and airbags are designed not to work? Is this something that your office can validate for me? Thank you for your time.

Exploding rear window on 2003 Honda Odyssey. This occurred on Sept. 24, 2011 at approximately 1 p.m. in Calgary, Alberta. It was a beautiful clear day, the temperature at the time was about 20 -23 degrees Celsius. My van was parked on a residential street facing eastbound.Earlier in the day, I tried to clean my exterior car windows with a wet cloth. While I didnt have any problems wiping down the north-facing side windows and the front window, I wasnt able to wash the south-facing side and rear windows because they were too hot to touch! As I moved the wet cloth over the windows, the water would dry on the glass instantly, leaving streaks. The heat of the windows made it impossible for me to continue washing them without burning my fingers or hands so I abandoned the task for the time being and left the sliding doors open for about 30 minutes to cool down the interior. A knob/latch is missing from the left side rear window so it doesnt close completely and creates an air gap.About two hours later, I drove to a self-serve car wash to wash down the van completely. I had my dog with me, who was tethered in and laying down on the seat directly behind the drivers seat.I started by walking around and spraying the soap solution over the vehicle. After adjusting the control to rinse, I began washing the front of the van when I heard one very loud pop from somewhere behind the van. When I got to the back of the vehicle, I noticed that the explosion (implosion? ) was my rear window! It was completely crumbled, but was still mostly intact. There were two holes in the glass, one in each bottom corner. I saw larger pieces of broken glass (approximately 1- 2) on the ground in the wash bay and more pieces inside the van.As I opened or shut the doors and drove out of the wash bay, the glass continued to fall down from the frame and into the back well area. As I was parked inside the car wash bay, the window didnt break from flying rocks or other road debris and theres no obvious evidence that I was a target for a BB gun, slingshot...or worse.

My 2001 Honda Accord EX V6 had transmission failure at 147k miles. I had the transmission rebuilt but not by Honda dealership. I serviced this car well and everyone knows there is a defect that will happen again. So I will be getting another car before my warranty from the tranny specialist expires (2 years or 24k). This cost me about $2800 for the rebuild.

My son bought a 2003 Honda Accord. Three days after it was purchased, it wouldnt go into 3rd gear unless he just stepped on it or waited for the transmission to decide what to do. He asked the friend and she stated that it did it a few times with her and was told it was a clogged valve but nothing major. He checked with Honda and found out there was a recall; however, wouldnt you know the recall on the transmission had nothing to do with the problem he was facing. I started to do some research and see if there were other people with the same issue. I was absolutely astonished at how many complaints were filed with Honda and blogs and BBB and Consumer Affairs with the same exact problem. Ironically enough, the issues with all the complaints were that it was after all the warranties were expired, go figure. I decided to call Honda and just speak to them to see if Honda was investigating the issue since there were so many complaints, and the previous recall had nothing to do with this issue. Well, I was told that since we bought the car as is, Honda will not investigate the issue. I explained that we can get the lady we bought it from to call and she said that didnt matter because we bought the car, it was now in our name. Really? So you will listen to my complaint and I can file one with you, but basically you dont care because we just bought the car. The CS spokeswoman told me, Maam, I am more than willing to file your complaint, but yes, because you just purchased the car, there is nothing Honda can do. Wow, so you mean to tell me that there are thousands of complaints about the same issue, same model, same year and Honda is not willing to investigate the issue at hand? I have told my son, let this be a lesson learned, dont go by what everyone tells you that Hondas are good cars and they last forever, blah, blah, blah. I would even understand if there were only a few complaints about this issue. But I was amazed at how many there were about this and yet there seems to be no ongoing investigation to see if there was something that could be done. I am so very disappointed in Honda and their lack of concern about the safety and satisfaction of their consumers.

We have a 2013 Honda Odyssey in white. On June 1st 2019 Honda issued a service bulletin saying they would fix the defective pealing paint on “certain” VIN numbers. Luckily our car was one of those approved VIN numbers, HOWEVER.... they claim that they will ONLY repaint 2 areas on our car, the roof and the tailgate. We have other visible areas starting to flake off and peel away, especially around our windows and it’s only a matter of time before the rest of this faulty paint falls off. It’s the ENTIRE CAR that’s covered in this defective paint, repainting only a couple areas is NOT OKAY! We are extremely furious and want our car completely painted in order to fully fix our cars paint!

I think Honda Canada is the party who are suppose to make sure the vehicle is safe when selling to people. I called Honda Canada. The representative did not have a good reason except saying repeated that the dealer has advised me correctly and it is in the contract. I purchased my first car, a Honda Civic Ex 2009, back in May 2009. I loved this car, until it started giving me troubles. Before the 60K, they have already replaced the motor brackets, the battery, and the TPMS sensors (4 times). Yes, the TPMS sensors have been replaced 4 times in the last 3 months. Last month, I had a flat tire; and no light came on. I stopped due to a strange noise and realized that I had a flat. I contacted the dealer, and they said the light does not come on until you driven over 28MPH. Well, I left it like, I drove it for a couple miles, and the light came back on. I figure it needed air pressure. After a few miles, the light came back off. The dealer had already replaced the sensor 4 times before this, and again, the TPMS sensor light came back on again yesterday. I contacted the dealer to explain to them about the situation, and they said they wanted me to bring in the vehicle for check-up. I scheduled an appointment. I also contacted Honda headquarters (for the second time) and spoke to Mohammed. I told him about the situation I was going through, and he asked me what should I expect from Honda. I told him that at this point, I was so regretful that I purchased a vehicle that was broken from the beginning, that the vehicle is non fixable, and that I wanted to return it. He said that I needed to go back to the dealer and return the vehicle. I did not like his attitude; he did not even try to resolve this issue. He said if I had already made up my mind, then I should go ahead and return the vehicle. I mean, if Im paying for this car, the least that Honda should do for me is a replacement. Shouldnt I? Well, Honda, the least that you can do at this time is give a replacement vehicle or the money that I have paid you for this piece of crap! I will like you to do this before I take matters further. At this point, I am tired of having to drive an unsafe and broken vehicle made from you, Honda. I am tired of going back to dealers to get the car fixed. I am tired of you, Honda, not paying attention to your customers! If you do not resolve this issue, I promise that I will no longer ever in my life purchase another vehicle made from Honda or its affiliates. And Im only 24. Guess how many cars I would buy from now until I cant drive anymore!

Ive owned Honda cars my whole life, and have had a 1994, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2013. Now I have a two 2018 Accord, they will be my last Hondas EVER!! Heres a list of my issues so far in my first 6 weeks/2226 miles on the car: 1. Paint defect on hood. 2. Paint defect on roof of car. 3. Paint defect on trunk of car. 4. Failed backup camera/console unit. Issues so far in my daughter’s Honda Accord first 8 months/12000 miles on the car: 1. Failed backup camera/console unit. 2. Weather stripping literally falling off driver’s front door. 3. Rattling noise that the dealership can’t hear when I take it in.The district manager is saying its the environment. Not true! I have not one but two 2018 Honda Accords and its only happening one. If it was the environment both of the vehicles would be messed up. My daughter’s Accord paint isn’t messed up and she has had it longer than I have had mine. I have another vehicle that I drive. I drive the SAME route everyday for the last year and I had the other car since 2017, it doesn’t have paint damage either. Something is wrong with the paint on the Honda Accord and I am very disappointed that Honda isnt owning up to it and fixing my vehicle. I have been driving Hondas since 1994. Besides the paint I am very pleased but unless Honda fixes my vehicle I will NEVER buy another Honda in my LIFETIME.

Wife purchased a 2019 Ridgeline. At 89 miles vehicle would not start and was towed to Honda. Since then the vehicle has 1200 miles and has broken down 4 times. 3 times it was towed for not starting and the only reason it wasnt towed a fourth time was that it literally broke down at the dealership after they had it for two days diagnosing why it would not start. Literally did not drive 100 feet and the transmission stopped working. Talked with customer service a few times so far. INFURIATING!! On my first call I was informed rather quickly I would NOT be getting my money back or a new truck. When asked what they were going to do for me... wait for it... they said They would call them and tell them to fix it right!!! AWESOME!!! In subsequent conversations all customer service regurgitates is warranty and repair talking points. At NO time will they discuss the consistent breakdowns as a problem nor will they let me speak to anyone above them. They disconnected me yesterday as I refuse to sit and listen to someone rattle off the business talking points. I would think any reasonable person would expect their new vehicle to not break down 4 times in the first 1200 miles. Seems Honda doesnt mind how many times it happens. Because remember... they will call and have them fix it right. NEVER AGAIN!!

I purchased a new 2020 Honda Talon from Nash Motorsport, Mesa, AZ. I purchased the pre-paid service contract and extended warranty. I live in Mesa, Arizona and the vehicle has been ridden in AZ and once in Southern CA. The vehicle has never been in snow, sand dunes or extensive mud. Most of the driving is typical to the Box Canyon area in AZ or Queen Valley; sand roads and routes. Very rarely has LOW gear ever been used except for a few steep hills. The transmission would not stay in gear during a hill climb and I turned it into Dealer for service immediately not to cause more damage in November. The vehicle is still there. The warranty customer support is horrible to deal with and no escalation process except open claim. They call you back with same answer. NO escalation process. Honda has out right lied and said the vehicle was driven in a way it was not and the damage was caused by switching back and forth between low and high. This is an out right lie.

I purchased a used car from Hendricks Honda Pompano beginning August 2018.
I purchased a used car from Hendricks Honda Pompano beginning August 2018. I was looking for a used car, and I found a 2017 Infiniti QX60 that I liked. Jose (Jose **) in sales helped me, I went, I tried the car, and after some negotiation, we agree on the purchase. When in the negotiation process, I asked Jose several times if the car came with 2 set of keys for it and he said that yes the vehicle had two keys. The day I went to pick up the car, after asking for the keys Jose mentioned that the second key was in a locked place and he didnt have the key for that place so we will send me the second key on the mail. After requesting the key several times, finally Jose sent me a key in the mail, and when I tried it, it didnt work. I called Jose and mentioned what happened, and he promised to help me solve the problem. After several calls and texts, I have copies, that never happened. By the end of October, the car run out of battery and I needed a jump start, so I tried to open my SUV with the key with the physical key on the fob, and to my surprise, it didnt work. So the fob did work, but the physical key didnt. Of course, the second key sent by email neither. I called the dealership for some help, knowing that Jose will not help me since he never did. I was helped by Dmitry (Dmitry **), after recommending to change the batteries on the fob which I did, but didnt work, I explained that I didnt have access to my car, to open the hood for the jump start. Finally, he stated that I had to bring the car to the dealership to make the keys, and I reply to, HOW? If I cant access the inside of the car how can I take the car to the dealership? His answer: TOW IT! After a long conversation he hung up on me, and when I called him back he didnt answer my calls anymore, thats what I call customer service!!! Needing to work and desperate, I tried to call the General Manager or CEO of the company and left several messages, and he never answered back. I also called several times Jose my salesperson with the same luck. This happened on Friday, by Monday, and losing all those days of work, I called everybody again, and they transferred me to Manny (Emanuel **). Ohhh Myyyy, what an ignorant individual, impersonating a manager. After talking for more than 30 minutes, he never understood what the situation was, so I asked him for another manager, not knowing he was not, since he presented himself as a manager and not a sales associate. The phone call went to another voice message.Desperate at this point not knowing what to do, I talked again to the receptionist, Ariana and I beg her to transfer me with someone that would care. She was extremely professional and helpful, honestly trying to help me and she did since she transferred me to Richard (Richard **). This guy in less than 30 seconds understood and asked me to wait for a locksmith at my location. I wonder why Dmitry didnt offer this four days ago, but I was glad that someone at least was trying to help me.To make it short the locksmith came to my place, to make the physical key, I had no idea that with no original they can do that, he opened the car, then the hood and he jumpstarted the car, everything in less than 15 minutes. I was ecstatic, I was going to be able to work again, and I began to wonder why Dmitry asked me to tow the car to the dealership to make the keys when that was NOT necessary AT ALL! I showed the second key to the Locksmith that Jose sent by mail, and the stated that that key was never for my car, once paired it can not be changed, not the fob or the physical key and if I wanted another one I had to order one from scratch. To summarize Im not surprised Dmitry, Jose and Manny, still work in that company if we have in mind they have as General Manager, Mark **, who is a stranger to the concept of customer service. I still have to make the extra key that was promised at the purchase of the car more than four months ago. But at least Im happy I can use my car. Hope someone in Honda will address this issues since this is NOT the way to handle any situation or customer.

My situation: I bought a 2013 Civic SI four door in black. I was super happy until I noticed a year ago the paint started getting cloudy and white. Today it looks a lot worse and after undergoing what they call an inspection which was just pictures on one of the employees phone. The case manager had the audacity to inform me that they cant help me because it looks like rock chipping. Should I laugh or just be completely upset? I can say I will no longer depend on this company when it comes to buying a reliable car. I am so disappointed! The cars paint is suppose to have extended warranty of 7 years because of the poor quality of paint or coating they decided to use to save a few dollars. Yet they call me to ask if I would like to trade in my car right after I drive off the Aventura Dealer in Florida. For sales they are quick but the customer service is just disgusting. I will have to get a lawyer involved because this is just unacceptable. Its sad to say I am not the only one with this issue. I wouldnt wish this upon anyone and would never recommend Honda to friends and family again. Getting the car painted out of my pocket is $1000+ and Its just not going to happen. I am still paying this car off as we speak.

Have been a Honda owner all of my life. The last two Hondas, a 2010 Hybrid Insight and a 2013 Civic, had batteries die at two years old with mileage under 20,000. I am very concerned. I feel their quality has gone down. Do not get me wrong, their service is outstanding. The batteries were replaced in both instances with no hassle and no cost because they were under warranty. However I am deeply concerned. Another month and I wouldve been stranded in ice and snow with no heater. Thank God it was caught when it was. Looking online I see I am not the only person with this complaint. I also feel the interiors are more plastic and not as lux as they used to be. After five Hondas, I think I am going to make a switch the next time I am ready to buy a car. Again service outstanding, quality of car has gone downhill.

In December 2014 I purchased a new 2015 Honda Accord. On July 9, 2015 my AIR CONDITIONER stopped working. I live in Florida where the summer is extremely hot making even the shortest of trips very uncomfortable. I took my car to the dealership the next morning for service, knowing that I have a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty in addition to an extended warranty. I was sure that the repair would be covered under warranty. I was informed that a rock/pebble had pierced my condenser which put a pinhole in it, and it is NOT covered under warranty. Honda indicated that the cost to fix the condenser is $716.85. I went to the dealership twice to speak with the General Manager to see if this can be resolved given that my car is only 8 months old with only 9000 miles and I was told to go through my insurance company. I also reached out to Honda of America and was told that the damage was caused by road debris and is not covered under warranty. This is an obvious design flaw. The Honda air-conditioning condenser is unduly prone to damage caused by normal road debris that does not affect other auto manufacturers condenser design. As with other auto makers, the front bumper clip is wide open to any kind of road debris and the condenser sits right behind the front air intake with NO protection at all. However, this typical design poses a problem for the Honda condensers and will happen over & over again, and Honda refuses to do anything about it calling it normal and working as designed! This should be a recall.

I purchased a 2012 Accord Crosstour last fall. It is top of the line, two wheel drive. After running 5 full tanks of gasoline, I averaged between 19.375 and 20.375 mpg consistently in that range (half city and half interstate driving). I called Eskridge Honda, where I bought it and told them my problem. I live in Shawnee, OK, about 40 miles East of Eskridge, the Oklahoma City dealer. The person at Eskridge told me to bring it in. I did and when the maintenance manager looked at the mileage, which was then around 340 miles, he said to me, sorry, Honda will not let me touch this car until it has 10,000 miles on it. I now have over 2,000 miles on the car (02/06/2012). I still get the same mileage per full tank. I think this is one of the best looking cars on the road. It is black outside with black inside trim. I really dont understand the 10,000 miles requirement before the car can be checked out. I have bought several new cars in my lifetime. My last three cars have been Hondas, an accord (top of the line with navigation) and the one before that was a Civic (top of the line with navigation). I got the kind of gas mileage the sticker stated, very good. They got good gas mileage during the first tank of gas that I ran through them and did the last tank of gas that I ran through them. That has been my experience with every car that I ever bought. Always a new car would get the best gas mileage when it was brand new than later on. This talk about it needs to be broke in first has never panned out with the experience that I have had. I am writing this email mainly to check if this in fact Hondas policy. I would like to hear back from you but not from an attorney. Just tell me if this is your policy that you wont check the car out until it has 10,000 miles on the odometer.

Honda dealership is great. But when it comes to the actual corporation they have no value for the customer. I got a 2016 Honda Civic fully equipped and I took my brother as well and got the same car as me, so technically we bought two at the same time and within the 3rd month my car started to get system errors, brake system problem, abs system problem, anti-lock braking system problem, tire pressure monitor system problem and much more. I took in the shop I would say 7 - 8 times and was at the shop of total of 35 days at the shop and the problem was still there. So I called Honda corporation and made a claim. The gentlemen that took my case did not call me back or anything. So I got an Attorney because I didnt know what else to do. I was missing work, couldnt take my son to school. Its been almost 7 months and Honda still giving a hard time.I trade in my previous car. I was down $4,000 and I was fine with it because I thought I was getting a better car. Till today with downpayment and car payments Ive put close to $10,000 and Honda is just trying to give me $4,000 back. This was my first new car and gave me the worse first car experience. So if you get a car from Honda just make sure its not a lemon because I assure you they wont treat you the same way as if you where a new customer. I would never get a Honda car ever again.

I bought a Honda 2006 Civic 2 Dr. coupe - EX on March 1st, 2011, less than a year ago. It has broken down 3 times and all 3 times were the same problem; serpentine belt and belt tensioner. It has cost me money for the repairs as well as the tows. What the hell can I do about this problem? I dont feel safe driving my car anymore. The mileage is only 76,000 and the condition with the exception of the problems described above is excellent.

I bought a brand new 2013 Honda CRV in Feb. 2013. I have spent a total of $11943.74 to date on my vehicle in just 7 years. That’s an average of $1706.25 annually. That’s got to be wayyyy above average. There are 255,000kms on the vehicle, mostly all highway. This doesn’t include cost for tires over that 7 years. Most of this has also been at the dealership; most people tend to agree that that’s my problem; stay away from the dealers, they say. I highly doubt I’ll buy another Honda.

Im going to sum this up as quick as possible. We bought a car in January of 2016 and it started to smell in March. Well me and my girls got sick and this smell wouldnt go away. It was in everything and we had to get rid of a few things. So I took it into the dealership on 4/20 and they said theyd get it cleaned up and back to me... Well its now 6/23... which is 6 months later and I still dont have my car! Yes there was a leak in the back that they couldnt find so they sealed up the whole back end. Then they found mold in multiple places, but Ive had to fit the whole way. Customer service is horrible at the dealership and at Corporate. We bought a 75,000 car! Brand new and we got sick! Mold can kill you. No one seemed to care, and all they do is pass the blame. No one ever returns calls or admits anything. They just blame someone else. And now theyre not wanting to give us the full amount of our loan back?! Im not losing any money from this! We did nothing wrong! We were sold a bad product that couldnt be fixed! And now Honda and the dealership are trying to jip us out of money?! Weve been making payments even when we dont have the car?!!

I purchased this 2016 Honda pilot certified has powertrain warranty till 2021or 100k. My wife and 3 kids broke down in Canada Sudbury Ontario. I am from Michigan, the vehicle was broken in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal. Thanks god the kids and wife were safe after all, but the very bad experience starts. Towed it to Palladino Honda dealer in Sudbury. Took them 1 week to say that we need a new engine but I can not repair it because it is an American vehicle. I called honda, honda care, my honda dealer. They did not help with anything. After 4 weeks I had to tow my car from them to Southfield Tamaroff honda to get the car repair. Eventually they repaired the car with replicating just the short block of the engine even the rod bearing was broken and metal shaving was all over the engine (car was not washed, no loaner offered, no alignment, bottom screws and push pins missing). Not understanding why they did not change complete engine. It cost me over $2200 to tow it back here and rent the car for my wife, not mentioned all the headache calling every day the honda dealer in Canada and honda customer service where nobody helped even the car was certified and had an extended warranty through honda care. All I wanted is to get refund for the expenses, but no one want to step out and do it (sorry and sorry we understand all these ** answers). Very bad experience, I will never buy a honda again even though I trusted the engineering before no anymore, stay away from honda….

I have to say that I was told that the Honda Accord was the car to get for reliability, value and performance. I bought the EX v-6 and soon found out that the front brakes are choppy every time you stop going over 30 miles per hour. Then the engine misfired at 43000 miles. That was the 2 cylinder that was later covered under the legal settlement with Honda, but my 5th cylinder misfired at 69000 miles and that was not covered. You are only covered for the first 4 cylinders and that really irked me because it cost 300 bucks for a new coil and spark plug. I am quite angry with Honda on this misfire issue and they seem to be ignoring what a real problem it is.

Your employees response, I could pay for an oil change and maybe be reimbursed; However, if it is more than a quart over a 1,000 miles they wont pay for it. So, basically Honda is aware of the problem and is bullying customers! There is a recall and an extended warranty. I showed them the paper I received from Honda about the pistons sticking etc. My car is starting to make a noise also when it starts as well. I need it fixed. No one should have to go back several times to have an issue fixed. Just like the airbags! People are dying and your company should be fixing these issues. I have been very nice and patient. I have a 2011 CRV with 24,000 miles in it. (I drive 80 miles a day). In November 2011, I had a software update from a recall, that adjusted the timing. I was getting 32 mpg consistently on the highway, and 28 when I did city driving. After the update, I cant get anything more than 26, city or highway. Honda said to have the dealer check it. They did, and everything was okay, as far as they were concerned. Then Honda said to have the dealer run a mileage check. The dealer said there is no such thing, other than looking at the mpg indicator. Honda says if it is within the normal range, then there is nothing they can do. No one can give me a number for normal range. I keep getting the runaround from Honda. I have the extended warranty as well. This will cost me over $900 a year in added fuel cost at the current prices.

I own a 2008 Honda Ridgeline that is at about 60,000 miles. I have taken especially good care of this vehicle with regular maintenance updates. Overall, other than the poor gas mileage (best is 20 mpg on highway), it has been a good vehicle. The problem is that two exhaust sensors have had to be replaced already at a cost almost $1,000.00, not to mention waiting at the Wilde Honda Dealership in Sarasota, Florida for many hours at a time. I cant imagine why the sensors have gone out already, and the incredible costs they have incurred. Honda has a reputation for build quality. The ride is smooth and its comfortable for both the driver and passengers during trip. I decided on the color black. I like the sport option, I like the look of the dual exhaust and the spoiler on the trunk. It also has great mileage, the trunk is very roomy, and has power that I was accustomed to. The car (2012 Honda Civic) is 3 months old and I have always owned Hondas and love them until now. I was stranded and called AAA for a jump twice. I visited the dealer and they could not find anything wrong and said I must have left the lights on which is very insulting. First of all, I dont drive at night. The lights were set to auto on (which may have been the problem). Second, I know when lights are on; I can see the headlights. When visiting another car repair place, they noticed the battery was reading 12.5 when it should have been in the 13 to 14 range. So maybe the alternator wasnt giving the battery enough juice or something was draining the battery. The display screen read ABS system and VSA system and all indicator lights were on while trying to start. No other indicator lights ever came on. I dont want to be stranded again and the dealer was insulting. Any ideas?

We bought our van in Oct 2015, it only had 30 some thousand miles on it. Nov 2016 the engine light came on. Long story short we had to replace all 6 spark plugs. It came up misfire codes. The plugs were black and 1 was actually melted. Our mechanic thought that was strange, but replaced them, 500 bucks later. 8 months later, check engine light again... misfire code for cylinder 1 again, spark plugs were just changed not long ago, so we changed out coil packs. 1 month later again with the engine light... but now its misfire and catalyst codes. Ok, maybe coil packs were defective... there should be no problem with the plugs, they are less than a year old. Change out coil packs, reset codes. 3months later engine light again, wth! Ok, so maybe its just a computer glitch or something, were replaced stuff already. Same codes, reset them and went along with life.Dec 2017, engine light again, then ABS light and another light, I forget which one, but the 2 are lights that have nothing to do with the engine. Still same codes, misfire and catalyst. Within 2 days the lights all went out. Whatever, just dont have time for crap, and van seemed ok I guess. Then last week, engine light came on, van broke down. Got it to mechanic. Same codes, misfire and catalyst. Plugs are black again. Van has 112k miles on it now. Now my mechanic does some research, because this should not be happening, plus we were low on oil and not due for an oil change yet which we faithfully do. So he finds there was a lawsuit against Honda for the same exact issue going on with my van. For Odyssey up to 2013, well mines a 2013. So they send it to a Honda dealer.Dealer puts in vin, no problem just have to make sure the codes stay, take pictures and submit everything to Honda. Done. Get a call today. Technically my van is not covered under the extended warranty from the lawsuit. So they offer me a courtesy offer, I pay 60% and they pay 40%. I dont think so! Not only is this the 2nd time my van is going in for this repair, but my catalytic converter is now affected because of it, and they want me to pay 900 bucks! My vin is 1 number off from the lawsuits, but I have the same exact engine as those in the lawsuit and the same problem and Honda thinks they are gonna make me pay for repairs for something that is a known problem. They tell me they have nothing else to offer me. Prove to me my engine was affected at the time just because my vin is 1 number off, but yet its the same exact problem that Honda tried to hide before and want me to pay for, well 60% and they pay 40%. Hmmmm???? I made a claim with American Honda, they didnt do crap, and Im still waiting to hear from the District Manager that told the service guy to offer me the deal. Yeah, Im not stupid! And Im at 3 hours later and still havent heard back from anyone.Honda already had 1 lawsuit against them for this problem, and they Im well aware of it but still want to do nothing about it except make me pay over 900 bucks to fix a problem that is apparently a problem Honda has had with many of these engines. Unfortunately we travel a lot, but keep up with the maintenance on our van. Yes it has 112k, but Honda engines are supposed to be really good. They had a problem with this particular engine and now dont want to fix mine on their end.

Sales department uses delay tactics to go through the process of purchasing a vehicle. Finance department tries to fiddle with numbers and charge for items that are optional...which they dont tell you until the very end, (e.g. 300 insurance fee, which is really an optional documentation fee). Service department confirms issues but does nothing about them. You say that... we are dedicated to supplying products of the highest quality, yet at a reasonable price for worldwide customer satisfaction. Sometimes you are not, definitely not in this instance. Your goal, so you say is to provide joy through your Business: The Joy of Buying: For those who buy your Products. Sorry, you have provided only sadness, mental harassment, agony and created bad environment and, possibly, of serious accident. You say that, to meet the particular needs of customers in different regions around the world, you base your sales networks, research and development centers and manufacturing facilities in each region. Furthermore, as a socially responsible corporate citizen, you strive to address important environmental and safety issues. This claim is highly doubtful as you have supplied a vehicle without bearing in mind the environmental conditions (at least in this instance) with improper finish and paint job, a manufacturing defect, leading to extreme corrosion which in turn endangers human safety.Such behavior, lack of quality consciousness, disregard for environment and safety, is helping Honda India to destroy the unparalleled legacy of greatness created by your Respected Founder Mr Soichiro Honda. Remember he also said real happiness lies in completion of work using your own brains and skills. Does the shoddy job provided by you make you happy? We refer you to our previous correspondence and would notify you that if you do not arrange to carry out complete corrosion repairs to the a/m Honda motor car free of cost within 21 days hereof, we shall institute legal proceedings in appropriate form against all of you without any further reference to you.The facts are as follows: Purchase of one Honda City was made on 13-14/02/2011 upon payment of full value to you. Owing to inherent manufacturing defects, leading to uncontrolled rusting, corrosion of body, even the front portion of the vehicle has caved in as shown in photos. This particular car, if not the batch, has rusted since last more than 2 to 3 years owing to a serious and severe deficiency somewhere along the factory line. The damage and responsibility thereof can be established by various tests available incl. salt spray tests. You may also wish to carry out tests at any world-renowned lab supervised by a leading expert of forensics in motor cars, specializing in rust/corrosion matters.Your statement formation of rust in car happens due to external natural factors. If that were the case then all cars Honda or otherwise - on Kolkata, if not Indian roads, would start rusting within 1 or 2 years of purchase as it has happened in your case. We own more than 4 cars even more than 20 years old - none is affected by rust as the Honda is, although used equally and parked in the very same covered garage. No stringent quality tests esp. of the paint job at various corners and undulations were carried out by you.The rusting started after 2, and further deteriorated within 3 years of purchase. Despite the vehicle visiting your workshop numerous times, you did not take any notice of the spreading and dangerous rust. Shockingly, only in 2015 after we sent our Honda to your workshop at your request (and after we were forced to complain to your Japan HO about the corrosion), you stated that some parts incl. underbody was rusted, totally ignoring the dangerous and unseemly rusting of the main body of the Honda! In the 4th year, the damage owing obviously to some sort of manufacturing defect by Honda India is even more dangerous than before. We have found innumerable complaints of rusting and corrosion against Honda City cars sold in India. You are surely aware of this fact.Damage is not caused by external factors directly but by manufacturing defect or owing to Honda not taking sufficient care during manufacturing process. Similar damage is seen in other Honda cars probably of same batch. Your excuse of warranty period having expired does not hold any water. You do not desire an amicable resolution of our concern and wish us to proceed legally in the interest of justice and fair play. The vehicle is parked in a covered garage in Alipore where not only 4 more cars of mine but numerous other cars of other owners are parked all of whom would gladly confirm that their cars have not corroded coz their cars are not manufactured by Honda. As a fond lover of my Honda, I ensure personally ensure every morning, that my car is dried thoroughly after being washed and, any extraneous matter, if any, is cleaned. We purchased your product in good faith. We may add that since our complaint, the corrosion has led to the front end of the vehicle under the bonnet to be severely damaged as well, leading to the frontal parts almost falling off the car as you would observe from the spilt slippery material in the photos. You can easily verify all the similar complaints made against Honda about rust/corrosion and find a pattern of an inherent manufacturing defect and the minutest detail of the corrosion by having the vehicle undergo various investigative tests incl. salt test all of which would establish that Honda is guilty. Kindly note that upon expiry of the response period after August 29, 2015 - we would be free to take all possible action against Honda in India and Japan for being duped to buy a vehicle which has corroded owing to obvious manufacturing defect and we would assume that Honda is not interested to rectify the damage.

I brought my car (Honda Crosstour) into service in which I have an extended warranty and purchased a service plan. One month later I experienced a short in which all the electronics of the car went dead. I took the car into the same service center and I was told water is in the navigation unit. This is located at the back area on the right side. The first problem was the service team was not able to find out the cause of the problem. They did not provide me with options or update me that the warranty does not cover water damage. The service area open up the car and discovered water flowed into the navigation electrical unit area at the back of the car. I have no car and they will not give me a loaner. They want my insurance to cover the cost which is about 3900 for the navigation unit and about another 1000 approx in labor costs. The insurance adjuster stated that this leak was not due to a minor bumper accident that I had 6 months prior. The service manager indicated that water may be leaking through there. The insurance will therefore not cover this item. So I am left without car, and attempts at escalation is arduous and stressful. This is the first time I am a Honda owner and if this situation is not resolved by Honda I will never be one again!

I have a 2014 CRV. Side panels on both driver and passenger side have faded quite a bit, 2 buttons on radio do not work. (We hardly use radio). Back seat does not go down all the way. I have only had seat opened up twice to vacuum and now it does not go back down all the way unless you are sitting on it. Lastly the trunk does not open. It works on and off once every 2 weeks I can unlock and open, every other time I have to throw things in trunk through back seat. These things are definitely not from wear and tear, have never had issues like this in any other car I have owned. Of course I was told through dealership that all of the above is only covered in first 3 years.

I am writing to you to inform that I am very disappointed with customer service care line from HONDA from the way they handle case. The story is like this: My nephew call customer service line at 1800-18-1177 on 13th November 2018 after his car ** accidentally hit broken hole at Bangi while heavy raining. He call at 3.00pm plus and towing truck only arrived at 7pm plus. After they checked the car (in front 2 tyre burst and found the car cannot start) they say will send the car to the nearer HONDA which at Semenyih. They ask whether can they send to SAG ULTIMATE centre which my nephew do not know actually. The place is only for (Body and Paint centre) after accident. Here what I want to question how come Honda towing track staff do not know where to send the car base on the car situation and case. My nephew is not accident which I think they should straight send the car to the nearer HONDA service centre. How come they send the car to the body & paint centre???14th November 2018. I went to the SAG ultimate and they mention they did not provide checking or repair for engine issue. Then I call back your customer service line and talk to Ms. ** to collect back the car and send to the HONDA service centre but she mention I need to pay for it which is the procedure is like that. Im like… What? I have to pay for your mistake? And further Im not asking to bring to other workshop. Im asking to collect and send to HONDA service centre. I really hope the management of HONDA look into this issue. This will make your customer feel upset and HONDA reputation will affected. Your customer service never act professional in this difficult situation. Its not about the money that we need to pay extra for the towing issue but just the matter of professionalism and customer happinessLastly I would like to give compliment and professional sales services to SAG ultimate branch at Semenyih to the Manager (Steve **) which provide me efficient and fast respond on settling this issue. He take the responsibility to send my nephew car to the Semenyih HONDA service centre without any charges. Thank you for his staff at the SAG centre, Mr. Chin ** and En ** for the good customer care and professional attitude. Thanks.

I purchased a brand new Honda CRV from the United States in 2008. Right from the beginning, I thought it was a bit noisy underneath and the problem still persists. The dealer in the U.S is not prepared to help. The dealership in Ghana says I need to change the suspension and shocks and I dont believe that this is the case, especially when the road which I use to drive to work and back is tarred. Please advice on what to do since its still under warranty.

Last week, I gave my Honda Stunner in one of the service center (Vahini motors, Kollam, Kerala) to correct certain complaints in the engine. I bought my bike just 8 months back, but I got an engine complaint. As they said, I changed an engine part (gasket) but still there is an unwanted noise while accelerating. Also, they had not corrected the RPM meter. All the services, that is the first four services, were done correctly. Looking forward for your reply.

I made an appointment to have an airbag recall inspection done at Brown Honda Service in Toledo, Ohio. I arrived and was then informed that it would take 1 1/2 hours to look at the airbag. It was just an inspection, not a replacement. That is entirely too long for this to take. They should have informed me of the time when I called to make the appointment. I left very unhappy about the lack of customer service. The tech did call to suggest he come and pick up the car, but I was not going to give up my entire Saturday for this.

My mom owns a Honda and her car recently had a problem with the transmission (I think). She went to the Honda dealership in Battle Creek, Michigan to get a check up on her car and they declined all services. It seems like a blacklist system, but only for my mom. In the previous maintenance, they put a small dent on the car and declined. My mom isnt American and her English is hard to understand but she has a very good credit score. So what kind of service is that? I am disappointed on how Honda dealership can decline services for Honda owners who cant get their Honda repaired from Honda.

Yesterday, after taking my Honda Civic 2010 in for a check after hearing an odd noise under the front right side, I was informed that I needed new brake pads! I only have 22,000 miles on the car! This is my 3rd new Honda and this is the first time Ive had to get new pads at such a low number of driving miles! I reluctantly left my car at the dealership for the repair as I was unable to reach another auto repair shop over the Thanksgiving Day holiday. This will be the last Honda that I will ever purchase. The cost will be about $250.00 or a little higher. Very disappointed as I bought a car that I could rely on during these hard economic times!

I am the original owner of a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L. This car has never had service anywhere other than Honda dealership. Even oil changes. A few weeks ago I took it to have oil change and the recall on the battery sensor. When I got into car prior to service it would not start. The dealership told me that because the battery was involved it would do that. The problem progressively got worse until actually would not start. I took back to dealership and they told me it would cost $700.00 to replace the starter. The car has around 50 K miles on it. After I googled the issue with the recall and bad starter it seems that many other Honda owners are having this problem. I called Honda and the rep said that she has heard of this happening and was surprised but her supervisor stated that it was unrelated to the recall and will do nothing about it. I will never buy another Honda again!!! Very disappointed.

We purchased a certified used 2012 Honda Accord Sedan in March 2014. We are now attempting to private sell, trade in the vehicle that we purchased and cant give it away. We are being offered no more than $7k for a car worth 13-14k. Come to find out we were only given half the story. The car was not involved in a minor crash prior to our purchase, it was involved in a total of 2 collisions with moderate damage and air bag deployment. Further research and appraisal recently reveals frame/structural damage throughout and nobody wants it. The deceptive business practices used by Honda of Burleson Texas are repulsive. The car is great, runs good, has no mechanical flaws etc. but we will never be able to part ways with it.

I own a 2009 Honda Civic. I have had multiple issues with the drivers side lock and the trunk lock. I have had it replaced once under warranty. But the drivers side lock broke again after the warranty was expired. I have had to replace my brake pads before even reaching 30,000 miles. And recently received a letter in the mail saying I can make a claim for a class action suit due faulty brake pads that were applied on the Honda Civics from 2006 to 2009. The local Honda dealership, Spreen Honda, was offering free oil changes to people for a good review on Yelp, desperate times for Honda. Such cheap accessories and parts applied by such a major corporation, thanks for exploiting the middle class.

I received a letter recently advising me of yet another recall for my Honda Jazz. I do not work and to have to pay out for petrol to get there and back to my local dealership and for a courtesy car is not possible. I called the local dealership to book an appointment for my car and was told I would either have to sit in their building whilst the work was done, pay out for a courtesy car or be dropped off and picked up from the local retail park.I am thoroughly ** Off with Honda and your customer service team. On the 25/01/16 I was told that you do not offer any sort of compensation or help to be able to leave my car with one of your dealerships for 2 and a half hours due to a recall. This is the third recall and you want me to pay out for your errors. My local dealership is out in the middle of nowhere and 5 miles plus from my home. The retail park is a small one and would not be enough to keep me occupied for two and a half hours, so that option is out. I cannot pay out for a courtesy car as I have advised. My only option now is to waste two and a half hours sat in the local dealership when I have other things to do.This is not good customer service or practice. You ought to have a facility to deal with the situations as they occur, not to have staff read out your policies and scripted replies. I also think that nobody should buy Honda as you obviously dont know how to make good cars as you would not need all of these recalls if you did. As you can see I am not happy with Honda and as things stand will be looking to never use Honda again. If this had been a one off it would be different but with so many recalls I feel you are now taking the michael as it were. I await your response.

I own the Touring version of the 2005 Honda Odyssey. The vehicle was purchased new. In the fall of 2008 the passenger-side sliding door was registering as being open. The dash light came on & the steady alarm that goes off would stay on while I was driving.I could de-activate the alarm by sliding the doors control button to a manual setting. However, the dash light would keep warning me bybinging) that the door was open. The motor would engage briefly while & the door would actually move while I was driving! I was unaware at the time that the doors bad connection was also draining my battery.Took it in 12/08 to a dealership. Was told the motor & latch had to be replaced along with the battery to the tune of $691.Done.Late in 2010 the other sliding door (passenger side) started doing the same thing. My battery died repeatedly & at 1 point was replaced.Took it to another dealership & they found the exact same door problem as the previous incident.Motor & latch had to be replaced on THAT door for $945. Done.At present (8/3/11) the driver side sliding door is broken AGAIN!If I replace it AGAIN it will be the THIRD door on that sidesince owning the vehicle. Called Honda HQ. Gentleman was pleasant but had a most difficult time comprehending the problem.Even asked me if I was sure that it was that door.I had to explain to him how the dashboard features are pretty specific as to which door (or tire, for that matter) is acting up.Unbelievable!Bottom line, since nothing is under warranty, Honda has no problem with me putting out another $1,000 to replace the door . . again. The only thing I garnered from the phone call was a case file number! They will not acknowledge that this is obviously a problem that should NOT be recurring like this & they shoud share some responsibility in the cost.I have also been blessed with run-flat tires on this model which I have had to replace several times at $1200/4 tires.I am sorely disappointed in what I thought was a reputable company that would stand behind its product.I will be selling the vehicle & will never set foot in a Honda dealership again.

My recent experience with Honda has been beyond disappointing. I have never owned a Honda before, but I had heard good things about their reliability and that Honda was a reputable company that stood behind their product. Sadly, I have found none of this to be true. I will never purchase another Honda, and I have advised my friends and family to avoid making a purchase they will regret. I have also filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs. On July 20, during the hottest stretch of weather we have had in Vermont in a long time, my air conditioner quit. I looked it up on the internet to see if there was a quick fix. I was hoping maybe it was a fuse or something simple and I was surprised to find report after report and complaint after complaint about the air conditioner compressors quitting in the Honda CR-Vs. I went to a local garage, where they verified it was indeed the air conditioner compressor.Since my mileage was beyond the warranty, but the car is only a 2008, I called Honda to see if they could offer any assistance with replacing this very expensive part and was advised that I needed to have a dealer diagnose the issue. After making a 45-minute trip to a dealer for a 5-minute appointment, to verify the problem as Honda asked me to do. I again called to see if I could receive some assistance, anything, I was just hoping theyd pay half of it, just something to help me out and make a goodwill gesture. I spoke to a woman who was extraordinarily unhelpful and unsympathetic. She just kept repeating it was beyond warranty. I fully understand what a warranty is, and I explained to her that if it were under warranty I would have just taken it to a dealer in the first place and had it fixed! If my car were the only one with this problem, I would have accepted it as my bad luck and gone on my merry way. However, my research has shown that this has happened to many Honda owners and the part appears to be defective! The right thing for Honda to do would be to accept some of the responsibility for this defective part and offer owners some sort of assistance in making the repair. It makes me terribly sad that your company has chosen to not do the right thing. While trying to scrape up the money to have my air conditioner fixed, I had to borrow a friends car (a very reliable, older model Subaru with a working air conditioner), in order to take my 90-year-old father to the doctor because he is unable to tolerate the heat due to his age and his health. I was embarrassed to tell him that my 3-year-old car had such an expensive issue already. If it werent for the necessity of having air conditioning to drive my elderly parents around safely, I wouldnt even have had it fixed. In Vermont, we dont use air conditioning very often, which adds to the evidence that there is something wrong with this part as it couldnt possibly be overused in three short years. Especially in a state with such a short summer.I have enclosed a copy of the bill for my repair in the hope that your company will reconsider and take this opportunity to do the right thing and reimburse me for a repair that I should never have had to make. Sincerely,A very disappointed first and last time Honda owner

The car is great. Gets good gas, had nice interior performance, and the price was great for it being new. The inside is very comfortable and everything is in good reach of the driver by in the steering wheel. The car had a great safety rating, it has great resell values and the car is safe for my family as well. Have purchased Hondas before and they are very dependable cars with a good reputation. This is a car Ive been waiting to get it. This car holds its value. It also has airbags for both driver and passenger. The design is fresh and it has a awesome paint. Had Sirius radio and I can integrate my cell to connect with my sound system. The sound systems is Bose, has sunroof that I can open without having the sun directly on my head, the dimension of the size tires make for superior control in bad weather, comes with factory tinted windows, has high seats that are very comfortable and the car is able to seat 5 grown-ups. Love the car. The style is what I like in a mid-size vehicle. However, I have to take it to the dealer for certain tools to work on it.

Bronx Honda refused to perform services due to a poor evaluation - Two years ago, I had some service work done and I was not happy so I gave Bronx Honda a poor evaluation. Yesterday, I went in for services and the service manager refused to service my vehicle because of my evaluation. I dont understand why we are asked for a survey of the dealers performance and then if the dealer is not happy with our suggestion, they can refuse services. Why own a Honda if the local dealer is not going to service your vehicle? I was also told that recall work cannot be refused, but they did refuse to perform my recall work. They also made me order and pay for the part, then refused services.
