I received this notice from Honda with this warning on my 2009 Accord V6. They said the parts will be available in late Summer/Fall 2016. They have an advisory to avoid having a passenger sit in the front passengers seat until the recall repair has been performed. However, they make no mention of the drivers side airbag. I am sure the warning applies to both but they dont mention that. One, they should be honest about driving the car until it is repaired and two, they should also do it as soon as possible, and three, make arrangements for the owners to have a safe car to drive until it can be repaired.

Probably the worst I will ever own. It was a 2019 EX-L. Infotainment issues were horrible, very buggy system. Dealership (Brandon Honda) told me it was a known issue and they couldnt fix it. One of the managers told me it was a Honda problem and not theirs. Awesome. Doors never worked right, trapping people inside. Transmission hesitated and jerked like crazy. A very poorly engineered vehicle. I traded it in and got an Accord Sport 2.0T...Cant believe that the same company could do things so differently with their products.

I bought a 2016 Honda Civic for its reliability, that didnt happen as planned. Within 4 months I had the factory radio swapped out and the problem returned. It will randomly beep and the dash would go blank. Now today I picked up the car after the service rep told me they have updated the car software and the radio unit as well. I asked them if they had tested it because usually problems occur after driving the car he stated they tested it for 2 hrs which turned out to be a lie. When I got the car today I was nearly killed because as soon as I drove off the lot the Vehicle Stability System light came on and the car started to decelerate as it thought it was losing traction. Then within seconds the brake system failure light came on, immediately the brakes began vibrating and I was unable to operate them while approaching a red light, ran the red light with no choice and then power steering system problem light came on. Then the steering wheel locked up. So basically within 5 min off the lot my car was in motion and inoperable and not responding. Eventually the brakes came back after constantly hitting them but almost hit another vehicle in lot due to this issue. Biggest part of this complaint is that when I went back in the no one at the dealership took ownership of the problem and insisted they have done nothing wrong. Well obviously something has happened. They took the vehicle in and within 2 hrs called me back saying they fixed the issue, so I asked what the problem was and they stated that they do not know what the issue was but it is fixed. I am like how do you fix a problem that you do not even know. I asked service manager, who would be responsible if something happened to me or the car, he said he was not in a position to say anything or take financial responsibility. If they cant even trust their money on this car then how can I put my life in danger in this car.

I purchased a 2017 Honda Ridgeline truck. I live on a small ranch located 3 miles off the paved road. At 23,000 miles, my check engine light came on indicating a problem with my emissions system. I was told that the emissions canister under the truck was filled with dust and dirt (from my road) and that it would cost me $700 to repair this problem. I was told that this same problem would come back every 15K to 20K miles. The service manager told me that the truck was never designed for dirt road, but rather it was a city truck. I immediately drove to the Toyota dealer and traded in the truck for something more reliable. Buyer Beware, this little detail does not appear in the Honda literature.

Recently someone I know went to a Honda Dealership in Texas for a Honda recall regarding an airbag. He dropped off the car. Later the service department stated it was completely repaired and safe to drive as usual. While driving that week, without warning the airbag exploded into his face causing him to lose control. As a result of the accident he was injured. Honda has been informed and apparently wants to pay him to fix his car some place else. Of course he no longer trusts Honda. Has anyone else had an experience of a grossly negligent repair?

I received a letter recently advising me of yet another recall for my Honda Jazz. I do not work and to have to pay out for petrol to get there and back to my local dealership and for a courtesy car is not possible. I called the local dealership to book an appointment for my car and was told I would either have to sit in their building whilst the work was done, pay out for a courtesy car or be dropped off and picked up from the local retail park.I am thoroughly ** Off with Honda and your customer service team. On the 25/01/16 I was told that you do not offer any sort of compensation or help to be able to leave my car with one of your dealerships for 2 and a half hours due to a recall. This is the third recall and you want me to pay out for your errors. My local dealership is out in the middle of nowhere and 5 miles plus from my home. The retail park is a small one and would not be enough to keep me occupied for two and a half hours, so that option is out. I cannot pay out for a courtesy car as I have advised. My only option now is to waste two and a half hours sat in the local dealership when I have other things to do.This is not good customer service or practice. You ought to have a facility to deal with the situations as they occur, not to have staff read out your policies and scripted replies. I also think that nobody should buy Honda as you obviously dont know how to make good cars as you would not need all of these recalls if you did. As you can see I am not happy with Honda and as things stand will be looking to never use Honda again. If this had been a one off it would be different but with so many recalls I feel you are now taking the michael as it were. I await your response.

I have had over a dozen issues (with most still outstanding) with my 2016 Honda Civic and Honda Canada has been using gibberish excuses to stop repairing my vehicle under my valid warranty. Be careful of excuses like Cannot Replicate as this is their first attempt to avoid the costly repairs associated with your vehicle. Honda Canada representatives have assured me that no photos, videos or witnesses means nothing to them, thus ignoring your concerns and complaints going forward. There is nothing you can do because they have already taken your money. Even if they lose you as a future customer, they know it is still cheaper for them than to have fixed your car under your valid warranty. If you do duplicate the issue to only a Honda Service Manager, then they will use another corrupted tactic and deem the issue as Its just the normal characteristics of the vehicle and now your vehicle is fixed and they will no longer deal with that issue, even if you threaten to take legal action. They just dont care. Their tactic includes losing customers as long as they DONT pay for your repairs. They are convinced that they can bite the hands that feeds them and still get fat. If that isnt arrogance then I dont know what is.Unfortunately theres nothing you can do but spend thousands of dollars for a lawyer to take them court, and knowing that the customer cannot usually afford it and just gives up, theyre content to have saved the shareholders the costs of your repair. But you can do something about it. Share this warning with family and friends and tell them to do due diligence before buying a Honda product. ***BUYER BEWARE; YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED***

My 2008 Honda Civic LX have a 10 years Rust Proof warranty. I brought it back every year for rust inspection and touch up, now I found out they never did a single thing to touch up. As when I took my car to Canadian Tire to change 4 new tires, when they finished, they said I should take some pictures and show it to Honda. The underside of the car is all rust, he said when you touch it, it is bone dry, they never put anything or do any touch up. I called the manager of Honda, he said unless there is a hole, they do not do anything, so I said, it said touch up as necessary, so what the heck? Then he said when I bring in the car for transmission fluid change next week, he will look at it with me together. I took 6 pictures of all the rust underside. So disappointed with them, if they are not doing any touch up, what do they mean by 10 years rust proof warranty. It is just a complete ripoff.

I purchased a 2013 Honda Accord Sport from Port Charlotte Honda Volkswagen
I purchased a 2013 Honda Accord Sport from Port Charlotte Honda Volkswagen and took delivery on October 1, 2012. While I am very pleased with the vehicle in general, an issue has arisen that is now making me have doubts about the quality of your vehicles. About a month after having the car, while driving on the highway, I noticed that there was excessive wind noise in the cabin and that the issue was originating from the front windows when at speeds of 70 mph and over. Due to my hectic work schedule, I was not able to schedule an appointment for service immediately but did so eventually and had an appointment for an oil change and the wind noise issue addressed at the Port Charlotte Honda Volkswagen dealership service department. My service advisor was not aware of the issue prior to me dropping the car off because of how new the car is. Prior to making my appointment, I had researched the issue on various Honda forums and found that several other 2013 Honda Accord owners were experiencing the same issue. After much research, I found that Honda had issued the following: TSB A13-010 - Wind Noise at the Drivers or Front Passengers Window: 2013 Accord 4-Door L4 From VIN 1HGCR2, DA000001 through 1HGCR2, DA035705; 2013 Accord 4-Door V6 From VIN 1HGCR3F, DA000001 through 1HGCR3F, DA007274.My service advisor was able to locate the TSB and I was excited to hear that the issue would be resolved. However, after picking the car up later that day, I found that the problem was still there. I immediately called my service advisor, who was absolutely great, and informed him that the issue was still there. He requested that I bring the car back in to have the shop foreman have another look at it. I did as requested and the shop foreman and I took a drive together and he acknowledged that the problem was still there. We also test drove a new one off the lot for comparison and found that it too had wind noise in the front of the cabin, just not as severe as mine. He informed me that he did as the TSB directed and that he does not know what else he can do at this point. He was very understanding and very apologetic and I appreciated that.At that point, I became very discouraged but still hopeful that a new fix would be issued. However, there has been none to date and I feel at times that the noise is increasing. It has gotten to the point that when I am on the highway, I am not able to use my Bluetooth feature because folks on the other end complain of not being able to hear me. I am embarrassed to take people in my car because of the noise. I normally have to turn the radio volume up just to drown out the sound when my frustration sets in. This is my third Honda Accord but first brand new one. Prior to purchasing this particular car, I had owned two brand new BMWs and never had to deal with this sort of quality issue. Now, Im not comparing the two cars because pricing makes the two makes completely different. However, I feel that brand new cars should have quiet cabins and that is a selling point that Honda uses to encourage and promote sales. Incidentally, due to certain finance issues, I had to finance an additional $4k on top of MSRP due to banking charges, which makes this matter even more frustrating because I am paying much more for the car overall.I requested that Honda open a case and extend itself as much as possible to assist me in addressing this issue in any way that is fair. I also feel that I should be compensated for what Ive had to endure for these past 6 months. I pay $617.78 a month for the note on the car and have done so for the past 5 months which equals $3,088.90. While Im not expecting Honda to reimburse me that amount, I feel that out of fairness, Honda should extend itself to have the issue addressed correctly and reimburse me some of that because the product was not issued as advertised and at this point, I am stuck with the car since a trade in of this vehicle for something else would yield such negative equity that I would be too far in the hole.On 03/12/2013, I finally got a call back from Honda Motor Co. and according to the case manager, after speaking to the dealership regarding the 2013 Honda Accord, the wind noise is a characteristic of the vehicle. I requested that they provide that to me in writing, so that I can further pursue the issue and they refused to put that in writing. It appears to me that they are trying to not acknowledge the issue because that would affect sales if more people knew about the issue prior to purchase.

In December 2014 I purchased a new 2015 Honda Accord. On July 9, 2015 my AIR CONDITIONER stopped working. I live in Florida where the summer is extremely hot making even the shortest of trips very uncomfortable. I took my car to the dealership the next morning for service, knowing that I have a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty in addition to an extended warranty. I was sure that the repair would be covered under warranty. I was informed that a rock/pebble had pierced my condenser which put a pinhole in it, and it is NOT covered under warranty. Honda indicated that the cost to fix the condenser is $716.85. I went to the dealership twice to speak with the General Manager to see if this can be resolved given that my car is only 8 months old with only 9000 miles and I was told to go through my insurance company. I also reached out to Honda of America and was told that the damage was caused by road debris and is not covered under warranty. This is an obvious design flaw. The Honda air-conditioning condenser is unduly prone to damage caused by normal road debris that does not affect other auto manufacturers condenser design. As with other auto makers, the front bumper clip is wide open to any kind of road debris and the condenser sits right behind the front air intake with NO protection at all. However, this typical design poses a problem for the Honda condensers and will happen over & over again, and Honda refuses to do anything about it calling it normal and working as designed! This should be a recall.

My daughter has a 2009 Honda Accord with 85k miles on it. It goes through 3 quarts of oil between oil changes. We submitted a claim even tho the warranty was out by one week but not out on mileage. They told me to take it to a Honda dealer (Ray Price) to do an oil consumption test. Which consist of a oil change (I pay for) then bring it back in around 1000 miles, they check level then report to Honda USA. Heres the problem, I took it back. It lost 3/4 qt by the calibrated eye of the mechanic looking at the dip stick, he didnt drain and measure. Also they didnt use the same weight oil as in the owners manual. The real misconception here is it loses at the same rate. It doesnt between the first 1000 miles and the 2nd 1000 miles it loses faster!!! Sometime between oil changes Ill put in 4 quarts!! My rating reflexes my appearance so far, it may change when its all said and done. Banging my head in Bangor.

Certified used warranty is a scam. Honda sold me a certified used vehicle under their program that guarantees a 151-point inspection. Right out of the dealership, the car had a burnt accessory fuse, missing tire change tools, and garbage in the spare tire well under the trunk. This leads me to believe they did not check all the fuses and they did not check to see if a spare tire was even included with the vehicle, let alone properly inflated. They did not offer compensation for failing to check these points in their original inspection and they did not agree to perform another 151-point inspection at my request. It is now 14 months after I purchased the vehicle and only about 8,000-9,000 miles on the car from since we bought it. The power steering pump had a major failure; repair is quoted at $740.01. They refuse to repair the vehicle at no cost since non-powertrain warranty only covers 12-months/12,000 miles. I would typically accept this response, but I feel as if the car was never fully inspected like they advertised. A power steering pump should not have a major failure after 8,000-9,000 miles. I should not have this much difficulty explaining my frustration to Honda, a company that prides itself on reliable cars and helpful people, especially with such low mileage on the vehicle.

My mom drives a 2007 Honda CR-V. Honda issued a recall for the drivers side airbag in early 2016 and, unable to replace the airbag, parked the car behind the dealer and issued her a loaner in February and March of 2016. After 2 months sitting at Honda, they brought her car home so it would be inside a garage while waiting for the airbag replacement. During this time, she had the house on the market so she could move closer to my sister and I as my father passed away. We were concerned that the car would not be available for the 700 mile move all along and expressed this to the dealer who told her she could drive the car all over the country, contrary to what we were hearing in the media and from the Honda itself about the Takata airbag dangers. The house sold and we immediately informed Honda (the dealer and customer support) that we would need a car to move to Illinois. I told Tanya at Honda Customer Support we would have to rent a similar vehicle to pack and make the move if Honda could not replace the airbag in the CR-V. After speaking with Tanya many times, I was told that that we would be fully reimbursed by Honda for the expenses related to the airbag replacement and that there was no daily reimbursement limit. We rented the closest size SUV available (Pathfinder) and packed it for the move. Three days before the move Honda called and said they would be able to replace the airbag a day before the move.I had to unpack the rental car, drive an hour to return it and take a cab back to Honda to pick up the car. We submitted the expense report for $1,292.54 for the rental, gas and cab to Honda. After multiple calls, a reimbursement check for $162.11 arrived, wrong address and wrong payee. It has not been cashed. Honda will not put Tanya on the phone and says now the limit is $32.00 a day. I have made it clear to them that I had asked her multiple times about a reimbursement limit before renting the replacement vehicle and that Tanya said no limit. Honda has blatantly lied and my 79 year old mom is out $1,292.54. I have spent months dealing with this issue. Since I asked Honda more than once about reimbursement rates before renting a replacement vehicle, my mom deserves every penny she spent on this debacle and an apology from American Honda.

I booked and prepaid to have my windshield replaced by Honda in Concord. I paid on May 15th, prior to going to SFO to catch a flight. I was informed by the representative at Honda, that the glass people would need payment up front, and then book a date and time and the glass people will come to Honda and install. Well, here I am, Tuesday, May 28th, been here since prior to 8.30 a.m. My appointment was at nine. First of all, I was told they had no record of our payment for the windshield, which was paid on the 15th. I told them I have the record on my credit card. They said they still dont have record, they then located it after taking my car and finding the receipt in the center console.Anyway, here I am sitting at Honda, Concord, CA, 1.38 p.m., the service person came over approx. 1 hour ago, saying the car had GONE to the window place, and it will take almost all day. Okay, what happened to the window people coming here?!? Also, I have sat here for over 4 hours, unable to go to the bathroom, in case they happened to say it was ready. Also, we paid a large amount of money for a warranty, every time we come in, they cant find it on the computer, and they charge us!! Why dont they ask the financial department, as they have got it from there once before after a fuss from my husband. Now, my husband called, asking to speak to the General Manager of Honda Concord, and was told he wasnt allowed to speak to him. Was he asked to leave a message for the General Manager? No!!! He was told to leave a message for the Service Manager, who is apparently in a meeting and will call my husband back. Lets see how long that takes....

I purchased a used Honda vehicle, 2014 model, in great condition. After paying 19K for this vehicle, after the first month of owning this vehicle the paint start peeling off the trunk door (Honda Odyssey), and around the door frames. After doing some research I found out that there was a defect with the paint used on Honda Odysseys for the year of my vehicle. Honda knew about this defect and so extended their warranty for 7 years, great. However, for those of us purchasing a vehicle used because we cant afford to purchase new, we dont find out about FACTORY DEFECTS until after the crap hits the fan. I called Hondas customer service line and was rejected, I asked to be sent to mediation. They told me I would hear back in 3-5 days but after a month I heard nothing. I called back, they told me I would hear back by the end of the day, nothing again. I called the following day and was told Id hear back, nothing AGAIN. Another week goes by and I call AGAIN, and finally reach somebody who tells me that I made the choice to buy used and out of warranty so Im out of luck, despite the now compromised frame and body of my vehicle, and the structural damage that will occur (hello safety concern when the frame of my vehicle rusts to ** because of a defect Honda knows about but doesnt care to handle). This customer service experience has been HORRIBLE, and what makes it worse is the Honda KNOWS they produced and mass sold a vehicle with faulty paint, and its those of us who have to purchased used, not able to afford new, who have to incur the further financial hit to try to fix this issue. Just over one month I had this car, meticulously taken care of, mint condition, not owner neglect, but rather Honda neglect, and this multimillion-dollar company refuses to fix the problem they created. Good one.

I have a 2017 Honda CRV Touring. Bought in Nov. of 2017. Has 11, 500 miles on it. Counting the original battery it is now on its 3rd one. As of July 5, 2019 I have had the 6th dead battery. Ive had every excuse under the sun for these. First one was that we had to keep the key fobs for electronic start more than 20 feet from the vehicle when not in use. Electrical components in them will drain the battery. Most recent excuse was we dont drive vehicle enough. Was told to take car out on the highway at least once a week, drive 10 miles at 50 MPH and then return 10 miles. This is necessary to keep the battery charged. Rarely does vehicle ever sit 1 day without being driven and driven every week multiple times over 20 miles at 50 MPH. Other people have had same complaints with identical vehicle. I am in process of filing claim under Pa. Lemon Law. My 2nd and last Honda.

Jason of Brooklyn, NY your Crosstour is not the only one with water leaking under the trunk flooding out the NAV control unit. The first time my 2012 flooded the car was at the dealer for a month. Honda also has a policy to rent you a loaner after so many hours it is in the shop. My NAV unit was emitting fumes inside the car with a horrible odour like the perfume used in portable outhouses. The 3rd time it happened I ended up spending the night in ER because my oxygen level was depleted. An owner from Massachusetts drove his 2012 to New Brunswick, a 9-hour drive. When he went out the next day the NAV Unit was melted, glove box and passenger floor carpeting were burnt. Honda refused to remedy the situation for him. Sudden Deceleration is also another serious issue with the V-6. TSB 13-031 is to fix it reactively. Problem is you could be a piece of charcoal from a rear-end collision because your brake lights do not come on to warn traffic behind you when your car slows down to 15 km per hour.My shop manager blamed us that we were misapplying the brake pedal. This is outright negligence and should be a recall issue. Then we have the VCM, Valve Cylinder Management system fouling the spark plugs when it goes from 6 - 4 - 3 cylinders to save fuel. It must also carbon the piston rings because the motors start burning oil. Mine had motor oil leaking unto the front bank exhaust manifold and my favoured Honda Shop Manager denied it was leaking. The Acura Dealer confirmed it was. At 17 thousand km there was a puddle of oil on the driveway when the Bailiff took the car. Honda refused to remedy the situation after 5 letters so I stopped payments. I asked for a low mileage Ridgeline truck because they do not have VCM on the V-6 and a lesser model without the NAV unit. In Ontario we have OMVIC whom I will file a complaint with.

I purchased my 2020 Honda CRV and immediately noticed a very loud static buzzing sound coming from my radio every time I drove by a radio or cell antenna tower. It is so loud that I can’t hear what is being said on the talk show. I took my 2020 Honda CRV into the Gunn Honda Service department and they tested the radio along with another new 2020 Honda CRV. Their conclusion was that the radio in all 2020 Honda CRVs makes a loud buzzing static sound when driving by a radio or cell tower. So they said they could not fix the radio and justified their decision by using the disclaimer that says that the radio may experience static noise. Even Honda Corporate refused to help. I have only bought Honda’s and none of the others ever had this problem. I would never have bought this car if they had told me about the radio problem upfront.

I own a 2008 Honda Ridgeline that is at about 60,000 miles. I have taken especially good care of this vehicle with regular maintenance updates. Overall, other than the poor gas mileage (best is 20 mpg on highway), it has been a good vehicle. The problem is that two exhaust sensors have had to be replaced already at a cost almost $1,000.00, not to mention waiting at the Wilde Honda Dealership in Sarasota, Florida for many hours at a time. I cant imagine why the sensors have gone out already, and the incredible costs they have incurred. Honda has a reputation for build quality. Unfortunately when they do need repairs, the cost is an arm and a leg. Just FYI my other car, a 2010 Ford Flex has and still is running relatively problem free at 85,000 miles so far.

We are leasing a brand new Honda Accord - 5 months old. The paint bubbles up all over the hood and sides of car - after bubbling up, it will chip off - then it appears as stone chips as we were told by Honda managers. We waited for over 3 weeks for a response... Stone does not cause paint to bubble up and chip off. Pictures have been taken, but does not show the real thing. A visual inspection was made by one Honda district manager and owner of dealership - it was wrote off as stone chips. Its horrible - all over the front. Our 2003 Honda Accord was in better condition than our new one. The customer representative 3,000 miles away from Honda had her mind made up along with Honda reps before it was even investigated. Next step - go to a professional collision/paint representative for our own assessment - legal counseling? We dont know... but we will not give up. Its a lot of money to spend leasing a brand new car and have the paint chip off. Stones do NOT cause bubbling of paint!! We are totally done with Honda - we always swore by Honda... Now we cant wait till our lease is up!! We were told paint chips arent covered by warranty... which we understand... but this is paint chipping off and bubbling up of paint... The paint actually lifts up and then chips off... Pictures do not show the significance of the problem.

They don’t mind keeping on hold for 20 minutes or more than that. When I asked them to connect with their seniors after keeping me on hold for four minutes executive said they are busy and can’t talk now. I love Honda. Both of our cars are made by Honda (a CR-V and a Civic). Theyre reliable, comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable to drive. We usually drive the CR-V when we go on long trips and its nice to be able to fit my wife and I, two dogs and all the luggage plus my acoustic guitar on most trips. My favorites are the Bluetooth connectivity for my music, the seat warmers and the back up camera. The Bluetooth connection is great for just hopping in the car and having the music pick up from where I was listening to it last (which Im doing constantly) and it sounds pretty great! The seat warmers are wonderful because Im always cold, especially when my wife is driving as she likes to turn the car into an icicle on wheels. And Im short so the backup cam can see areas I cant on my own or with the mirrors. I personally wouldnt enjoy driving something much bigger but as we travel a lot with two dogs and a bunch of stuff, a little bit more cargo space would be really helpful. We dont stack things in the back to the point where they are piling over the seats or we are unable to see out of the rear view window.

I purchased a brand new 2010 Honda Accord from Elk Grove Honda last year. Recently I heard a grinding noise just before I started the engine. I took my car to Elk Grove Honda for repair and was told they already knew a lot of Honda Accords have this problem. They will not repair it as this is how the Honda engineers design it and I should turn my ignition key very fast in order to ignore this noise. I did some research and found out this problem is caused by the bad VTC actuator in many of the Honda Accord model. The Elk Grove Honda still refused to repair my defective car even it is still under warranty.

I purchased a new 2006 Honda Civic LX and now, 5 years and 41,000 miles later, the paint is fading and the clear coat is disintegrating! I regularly get my car cleaned and waxed, so it is not neglect. I park my car outside and the paint/clear coat should hold up! I went to Braman Honda in Lake Worth and they said my car was out of warranty - 3 years or 36,000miles. I got an estimate to repaint the roof and trunk lid (the hood had been repaired in Jan. 2011 due to a fender bender) and it will be $671 to repair. I am in the process of getting another estimate. There was a class-action suit for the visors in this vehicle and Honda extended the warranty for those to 7 years. Rather than improving on the design of the visor, they will replace it and after 7 years you are out of luck. I am pretty disgusted at this paint situation and even more so, since I see this is a prevalent problem with Honda - using poor paint and clear coat. I love my 2006 Honda Civic LX Coupe. It is a beautiful car and mechanically, it is fantastic. My friend just bought a 2012 Honda Civic EX. It is beautiful and I am reluctant to upgrade to a Honda because of this paint problem, unless I plan to repaint the car at a cost around $2,300 - $3,000. Honda, what is wrong with you guys? Please improve your paint and you will get rid of a lot of headaches! I want Honda to pay to have my car repainted with good quality paint. This car should last another five years, at least.

I purchased a used car from Hendricks Honda Pompano beginning August 2018.
I purchased a used car from Hendricks Honda Pompano beginning August 2018. I was looking for a used car, and I found a 2017 Infiniti QX60 that I liked. Jose (Jose **) in sales helped me, I went, I tried the car, and after some negotiation, we agree on the purchase. When in the negotiation process, I asked Jose several times if the car came with 2 set of keys for it and he said that yes the vehicle had two keys. The day I went to pick up the car, after asking for the keys Jose mentioned that the second key was in a locked place and he didnt have the key for that place so we will send me the second key on the mail. After requesting the key several times, finally Jose sent me a key in the mail, and when I tried it, it didnt work. I called Jose and mentioned what happened, and he promised to help me solve the problem. After several calls and texts, I have copies, that never happened. By the end of October, the car run out of battery and I needed a jump start, so I tried to open my SUV with the key with the physical key on the fob, and to my surprise, it didnt work. So the fob did work, but the physical key didnt. Of course, the second key sent by email neither. I called the dealership for some help, knowing that Jose will not help me since he never did. I was helped by Dmitry (Dmitry **), after recommending to change the batteries on the fob which I did, but didnt work, I explained that I didnt have access to my car, to open the hood for the jump start. Finally, he stated that I had to bring the car to the dealership to make the keys, and I reply to, HOW? If I cant access the inside of the car how can I take the car to the dealership? His answer: TOW IT! After a long conversation he hung up on me, and when I called him back he didnt answer my calls anymore, thats what I call customer service!!! Needing to work and desperate, I tried to call the General Manager or CEO of the company and left several messages, and he never answered back. I also called several times Jose my salesperson with the same luck. This happened on Friday, by Monday, and losing all those days of work, I called everybody again, and they transferred me to Manny (Emanuel **). Ohhh Myyyy, what an ignorant individual, impersonating a manager. After talking for more than 30 minutes, he never understood what the situation was, so I asked him for another manager, not knowing he was not, since he presented himself as a manager and not a sales associate. The phone call went to another voice message.Desperate at this point not knowing what to do, I talked again to the receptionist, Ariana and I beg her to transfer me with someone that would care. She was extremely professional and helpful, honestly trying to help me and she did since she transferred me to Richard (Richard **). This guy in less than 30 seconds understood and asked me to wait for a locksmith at my location. I wonder why Dmitry didnt offer this four days ago, but I was glad that someone at least was trying to help me.To make it short the locksmith came to my place, to make the physical key, I had no idea that with no original they can do that, he opened the car, then the hood and he jumpstarted the car, everything in less than 15 minutes. I was ecstatic, I was going to be able to work again, and I began to wonder why Dmitry asked me to tow the car to the dealership to make the keys when that was NOT necessary AT ALL! I showed the second key to the Locksmith that Jose sent by mail, and the stated that that key was never for my car, once paired it can not be changed, not the fob or the physical key and if I wanted another one I had to order one from scratch. To summarize Im not surprised Dmitry, Jose and Manny, still work in that company if we have in mind they have as General Manager, Mark **, who is a stranger to the concept of customer service. I still have to make the extra key that was promised at the purchase of the car more than four months ago. But at least Im happy I can use my car. Hope someone in Honda will address this issues since this is NOT the way to handle any situation or customer.

I leased a 21 passport with my husband last month from Honda. The sales team was great, price was good and team was friendly -unfortunately this car has some issues! I don’t blame the dealer. I blame the maker (Honda). Since we bought the car I have been driving it back and forth to work and with my son. After a car wash one day I had noticed rust behind the wheels. I told my husband about it he said it wasn’t like this when we bought it. About week later I started to notice a weird feeling when driving so I gave my husband the car to drive. After him driving it he feels it has some transmission issues. Between that and the rust he was super pissed. He contacted Honda hq and brought it for service. The manager was super helpful and nice my husband said but unfortunately after the visit the rep that came from hq told us the car is normal! I’m sorry rusty/not proper functioning transmission is not normal. I am very unhappy that I do not feel safe to drive this car and now every month I have to pay for something I can’t even get behind the wheel. My husbands friend has the 20 passport. No issues. No rust. No transmission problems. Why is this the issue with the 2021? Issues after a little over a month of ownership not a good look. Awful job Honda!!

I have a new 2016 Civic and it is a great car. It is my fourth Civic, but there are a couple of things that I do not like about it. It does not have a CD player in it. I do not like any of the stations on the radio and I do not like the music of today. I loved listening to my music from the 50s, 60s and some of the 70s, but now I cannot do that because you opted not to put CD players in your new cars. I am not a person that has a Ipod, so that is not an option to listen to. I was very disappointed when I found out about this feature. The trunk door lock on the drivers door is an annoyance. I cannot reach the door handle to close the door when I get in so I have to grab on to the pocket where the button for the trunk button is and 9 out of 10 times I hit it and have to get out of the car to close the trunk. Why didnt you leave it where it was on the 2013 Civics??? Whoever makes these changes should think of the Seniors that purchase these vehicles and leave some things alone. Other than those two features that I just explained, the car is great and I do love it. Thank you for listening.

My husband and I both leased a 2017 CR-V. We were talked into getting the 2017 because of all the bells and whistles. The phone, trunk, door locks and auto start do not work. We brought it in multiple times but still don’t have a resolution. My car has been vandalized several times because even though I lock the door the keys lock/unlock themselves. The Autostart won’t work if it’s too cold or snowing. The phones are always disconnecting or saying no device connected. The trunk does not always work from the key fob and doesn’t always open completely and most times needs to be manually closed which is difficult with the hydraulics. I would not recommend Honda and would not recommend Fletcher Jones. The customer service has been a part-time job that no one wants to help me with. I am disappointed that I was talked into spending more money for a car with more gadgets and benefits that just don’t work the way they are supposed to. I am also highly disappointed in the lack of customer service or resolutions for our investments.

I HAVE BOUGHT 5 HONDAS IN 6 YEARS. All were no trouble until this 2017 CRV would not start on May 16, 2019 in my garage. Battery dead. I was given two options, have it towed or jump it & bring it in. I charged it up a bit and drove it in to the dealer. They checked battery on a gizmo and said it was OK. I advised them I had checked the battery also and found one dry cell that was burned looking and three cells that were milky. My 40 years experience as a certified Auto mechanic meant nothing to these zomby robots. Took car home and was dead again. I went out and bought a battery so the wife could use the car. Whole day lost, 165$ gone and was advise they could not do anything for me. Called Honda customer care, same garbage. One excuse after the other not to cover the issue. I advised the Dealer that if the mechanic did not have a hydrometer and only uses the gadget to check batteries then they need a mechanic that will invest in a hydrometer. Honda will no longer have our yearly purchase to look forward to as my money is good other places. Honda is now a forbidden word in our home.

Do you think you’re getting a good deal when you buy a Honda. It turns out that the way they make their money off he was by nickel and dime and you throughout the ownership experience. The dealers will make money off you with the ridiculous service intervals from the car. The financial services part of Honda will make money off of you from hitting you with all sorts of fees. The cost of ownership of a Honda is much higher than people realize, because the company‘s business model is to sell good cars are reasonable prices, and then screw you for the remainder of your ownership experience. This was my first Honda, and it will be my last. I have since moved on and bought an Audi, and while the upfront cost is higher, the ownership experience is night and day different. This has been my first time dealing with Honda. I leased two cars, Civic and Odyssey. This has been the worst experience in my life. I will never ever recommend buying or leasing or doing any business with Honda. Along the last 6 weeks, I have discouraged at least 15 of my friends from ever thinking in buying or leasing any Honda. Setting my account on line has been a nightmare and trying to make a payment was a nightmare. My temporary license is almost expiring in couple days and dealer is just careless. I made more than 7 visits to the dealer after leasing the two stupid cars to resign papers that were done by mistake. I do hate Honda. I do hate anyone who recommends Honda. I will always mention about my very poor experience and waste of time and discourage everyone I know to do business with Honda. I am seriously considering asking my lawyer to start a lawsuit against Honda for all the hassle and inconvenience I had. I am just waiting to have my temporary registration to expire and will sue you for the hassle and harassment and consequences for not being able to use my cars. Honda just goes to the hill. In continuation with the worst ever experience I had in my life dealing with Honda and its dealers, two days ago I received a call from the customer service of Honda to follow up regarding my complaint. The person who spoke to me lied to me and mentioned that he arranged for someone from the Midland dealer to bring to my home the renewed registration (plates) that expire on February 8th. He claimed someone will deliver the two temporary registrations today, February 8th. As expected, he was a liar and the dealer was a liar and no one came to my address. Tomorrow, February 9th, my two cars do not have valid license plates. Honda finances and the dealer who leased the two cars to me have already collected the fees for the lease and for the registration. Starting tomorrow, I will be charging Honda one thousand dollars per day until I receive the registration. The lease deal with Honda is no longer honored and I am not responsible for any payments until registrations are delivered to my address. I am also keeping my legal rights for suing Honda for compensation for the inconvenience and harassment. I will be talking to my lawyer to start legal actions against Honda. This email is a formal notification of your responsibility for the scam I have been exposed to.

2008 Honda Civic EX - Sept. 2013 with 105,000 miles, the AC intermittently would not work. Refrigerant was good. Eventually by early 2015 would hardly work at all. Taken to Honda dealer where I purchased the car new. There were metal shavings that looked like sand in the system. $3,800 to repair. Wife drove the car exclusively so heres what most likely happened. Compressor went bad in 2013 but still worked and probably made some noise at some point and should have been replaced then. Our fault to some degree, but the point is these compressors only have a shelf life. Ive had numerous Hondas and never had compressor problems. Wish I had known, would have never bought the car. Also, I talked to the service rep and he advised me that HR-V have the same problem. Will do everything possible to have Honda reimburse all who had/will AC compressors going bad.

I purchased a Honda Insight 2020 on the last day of 2020 and got a pretty good deal. I got a flat tire and called Honda Roadside assistance-- the car does not come with a spare. Only a box to blow the tire back up and I guess plug the hole with some time of goop. The instructions seemed daunting so I asked if the roadside assistance could help me with this and was told NO-- all they could do was tow the car. The first person I spoke with from Honda said they could transfer me to Honda care to help me walk through the steps but instead got another roadside assist person (I think his name was Aid, pronounced Ed)l. He could not understand me and kept asking the same questions when I explained it to him. It then turned out that the puncture was on the sidewall and the machine will not work when there is damage to the sidewall. Additionally, Honda would not let me ride in the tow truck. Normally a flat tire is not a big deal; if I had got help changing the tire I could have been on my way. Instead, the car needed to be towed and I needed to find another way home and had to wait a day for the tire to be changed. What if I had been far from home with no one to pick me up? I would have been stranded. It is absolutely irresponsible for Honda to put people in this situation. Honda should provide a free spare tire and kit. Mary Jo **.

I was involved in an automobile accident in a 2004 Honda CRV recently and have a couple of questions. My vehicle was setting at a complete stop and was struck in the rear at approximately 55mph. Both myself and my passenger were injured. Neither of the front seat belts engaged to restrain us and even after hitting the vehicle in front of us, no airbags deployed. I am being told that in a high speed rear end collision, the seat belts and airbags are designed not to work? Is this something that your office can validate for me? Thank you for your time.

I am writing to you to inform that I am very disappointed with customer service care line from HONDA from the way they handle case. The story is like this: My nephew call customer service line at 1800-18-1177 on 13th November 2018 after his car ** accidentally hit broken hole at Bangi while heavy raining. He call at 3.00pm plus and towing truck only arrived at 7pm plus. After they checked the car (in front 2 tyre burst and found the car cannot start) they say will send the car to the nearer HONDA which at Semenyih. They ask whether can they send to SAG ULTIMATE centre which my nephew do not know actually. The place is only for (Body and Paint centre) after accident. Here what I want to question how come Honda towing track staff do not know where to send the car base on the car situation and case. My nephew is not accident which I think they should straight send the car to the nearer HONDA service centre. How come they send the car to the body & paint centre???14th November 2018. I went to the SAG ultimate and they mention they did not provide checking or repair for engine issue. Then I call back your customer service line and talk to Ms. ** to collect back the car and send to the HONDA service centre but she mention I need to pay for it which is the procedure is like that. Im like… What? I have to pay for your mistake? And further Im not asking to bring to other workshop. Im asking to collect and send to HONDA service centre. I really hope the management of HONDA look into this issue. This will make your customer feel upset and HONDA reputation will affected. Your customer service never act professional in this difficult situation. Its not about the money that we need to pay extra for the towing issue but just the matter of professionalism and customer happinessLastly I would like to give compliment and professional sales services to SAG ultimate branch at Semenyih to the Manager (Steve **) which provide me efficient and fast respond on settling this issue. He take the responsibility to send my nephew car to the Semenyih HONDA service centre without any charges. Thank you for his staff at the SAG centre, Mr. Chin ** and En ** for the good customer care and professional attitude. Thanks.

I called to have lock replaced and was not informed that there will be charges for replacement of lock and repairs. Service representative by the of ** said that the warranty only covers 12,000 miles. Unfortunately they will have to charge me. He then stated that he had done some research and found that he was told that the lock/locks are FAULTY in certain model Hondas!!! If so why wouldnt Honda replace the door channel/channels with a more sufficient part for their vehicles. I AM A VERY VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER.

Sales department uses delay tactics to go through the process of purchasing a vehicle. Finance department tries to fiddle with numbers and charge for items that are optional...which they dont tell you until the very end, (e.g. 300 insurance fee, which is really an optional documentation fee). Service department confirms issues but does nothing about them. They lie about what was done or not done and use subjective tests to say that nothing is wrong even though a documented 3rd party assessment indicates otherwise. Do not recommend purchasing or servicing a vehicle from Richmond Honda in BC.

My 2001 Honda Passport was less than 98,000 miles (**) and I always kept-up
My 2001 Honda Passport was less than 98,000 miles (**) and I always kept-up with the care and maintenance of my car. I did the timing belt on it by myself. Change oil and anything that my car needed, I would fix it myself. So the speed meter and the gas gauge stopped working, and I told my wife it looks like the car will need a computer. So June 12, 2012, I had South Motors Honda put in a new computer and that fixed the problems. We paid $901.97. April 15, 2012 they wrote it on their computer that the serpentine belt was next and needed a fix. The serpentine belt broke and they had it fixed ($829.04). May 24, 2012 my wife brought the car in because of a tiny oil leak, so they would need to keep the car for a week to replace the oil pan gasket. And on their computer, it never said we would need on the next repair a motor because the person that removed the oil to fix the oil leak (the oil pan gasket, they had to take it off and put a new one on) never added the oil back to the motor and we paid $744.04. So my wife had to pick up the car because I had to return the rental back. As I walk back to South Motors, my wife was so mad because now she hears what are a sound from inside of the motor and a sound of a knock. While they were gone, I opened the hood and checked the oil and nothing was touching the stick. As I close the hood, the tech came and drove our car in to his shop in the back, away from us; and they got mad because I needed to keep my eye on my car. So the tech adds 5 quarts of oil and drove it back around to the service advisor and he said ok, everything is fixed; and the tech fixed the oil leaks. As we started it out, the rods were knocking badly. The service advisor Allen did not write down on the computer at South Motors, like he did everything else, about the motor that’s next for repair. Allen said that after the car leaves South Motors, there is nothing that they can do and its not their problem if it needs a new motor. Allen did say the motor needs to be replaced but not by South Motors. They are not giving me a free motor. This came from Allen and the shop manager. The shop manager did say we spent a lot of money on my car and “Our techs dont let a car leave without any oil and it sounds like youre trying to get a free motor. That’s not going to happen.” I saw the oil stick and saw no oil; and on this specific item (remove the old oil pan gasket and add a new one), you have to drain the oil to fix this leak. You have to replace the oil back in the motor.I think they need to buy me a new motor or write me a check for $5,800 - end of story. You dont have to make this look bad, just mail me a check for $5800.Thanks to the internet for letting me post this. The bad thing is this South Motor Honda. When you do something bad to people, it comes back around. I have talked to a painter and we have talked about making a huge sign about South Motors Honda and write what a great job you do and how many have you scammed like me. We’ll write it in Spanish, too; so when my Honda Passport is parked at the mall, people can read it and find out the truth. Its going to be readable on both sides, so 1000s can read it. You can read it at the mall at school; even at red lights from behind, you can still read how great your scamming of people is. So we have gotten with DOT and DMV to see just what we can cover up; no lights and no tag can be covered, so this sign is where you can read it and be ok with the laws. If nothing else, we dont need signs; he can paint what we need to write it on the Passport.I dont see any other way out, other than paying the owner for his time waiting for his car not to get fixed and renting rental cars all paid out by him. He thinks you owe him a lot more than $5800. Look if he has the money to get these types of repair done and paying for them (and gets treated like this). This man has a family and works, and he thinks you’re giving him the short end of the stick. South Motors needs to stop this by paying him off before he starts, and he has flyers printed by the 1000s. I think you need to pay him with a car and $5800. That’s his car he took care of and he feels he trusted you and you did pooh on him. He trusted you to fix his computer on his car and he paid then it is something else. And then… Ok, money is coming. He is paying $600-$1000 to $1800-$2000. Let’s drain his oil out so we can get him to buy a brand new motor and tell the manager to side with whatever they have to say. Then after we do this, we can get him for more stuff. Look at what all he paid and walk around and laugh at how dumb he is. And just maybe, we play our cards right; we cannot add oil. At some point, we will get him again. He is mad now and we will get him again for being mad or making us do more work. Being a problem to us, we will teach our advisor using 4 letter words. Hey, its ok. We will have him eating out of the palm of our hands and have him come in for little stuff to have us fix on his Passport. So what happened is that the service advisor saw the serpentine belt was broken and needed to be replaced and added that the timing belt may need to be replaced. But he was so worked up about my fine wife that he did or would not hear me telling him this old boy had already put a new timing belt on. He was watching my wife walk around and asked her in a putting me down kind of way, and they would go ahead and change the timing belt. So, I got mad and showed my butt because I did all the work on that change and he would not let me talk or give me the time of the day - too busy looking and not learning about the problems that my car was having. They got mad after removing and finding out everything with the timing belt is brand new. Then, he wanted my wife to walk around and act as if he and she was cock of the walk and try to belittle me. My wife loves me and I trust her. She’s the type of person that reads a person for what theyre worth and she has stood in the heat for what is right, not sides or color or how big he wants to act. So this not putting oil in the car, this Allen guy being a jerk, and the manager buying and standing by Allen’s stories, the manager’s people do no harm and his techs do not leave cars without oil… I am a customer and I have a clue why they would belittle me and remove the oil from my car that’s paid for. I need a check for $5800. I dont trust them with a carton of eggs. They have burned me badly and I cant trust them to replace my motor with a new one that they can clean up junk and try to pass it off as a new motor. I can trust green bills in the amount of $5800. All the waiting with my baby and waiting for our car all day to get fixed was just a part of their games.

Ive had it for a year and Im very pleased with everything about it. It drives and handles well. It provides me with a reliable ride. The ride is smooth and its comfortable for both the driver and passengers during trip. I decided on the color black. I like the sport option, I like the look of the dual exhaust and the spoiler on the trunk. It also has great mileage, the trunk is very roomy, and has power that I was accustomed to. On the other hand, the leather seats would be nice and I miss having heated seats, rain guards on the windows too. I plan on purchasing them. I bought a second hand car from Honda in May last year (2017). This would be my first ever time buying a car. Everything went fine within the sales and I loved this car, which was a Holden Cruze 2014. I didnt have enough money saved and I did not have my apprenticeship long to afford it so I opted for the finance and was told everything about finance through my sales rep. The finance seemed good my circumstance and I went through with it. The finance women I spoke to was Ellie **. I stated my terms to her about the whole thing. She told me it would be a 5 year contract with 1 year fixed. After the 1 year fixed was up I could pay it all out with no interest or added fees. It seemed perfect for me and she went through it a couple of times to me. I felt it was perfect and she was in my corner for the finance.Something seemed fishy after I noticed I had no car user manual in the car. I called them up a lot and even visited. I never got any word back on the whereabouts of my car manual. Not until Monday (25th March, 2018). I called up again and spoke to a Michael. He followed everything up and ended up ordering me a new book. I then called up my finance, Skyline Car Finance about how much was owing and when my 1 year fixed would end. Thats where it went bad because they told me it was a 5 year fixed contract and that I would need to follow up with my dealership. I contacted Ellie who told me there was no such thing as a 1 year and that I would save on interest and theres an early exit fee. I went in today on a Saturday (31st March, 2018). I collected my book and talked to Ellie. She told me that it was a 5 year fixed from the start and that I misinterpreted it and that I should read my contract. I feel as if I have been sucked into a contract I would never have signed if I knew this. She also told me that heaps of people come in with the same reason I have. So the real question is, how many people is ripping off?

Honda allowed car rentals for the driver side airbag recall due to exploding metal fragments injuring and killing individuals. It states in the recall that it can do that to the driver and others in the cab. Honda will not allow car rentals for the passenger side airbags and tell you just to not seat in the passenger seat. It has been asked of Honda if there was a chance that it might deploy if hit in front of car. No answer. I then ask American Honda Customer Service to send me something in writing that it will not deploy and I am not gambling with hurting myself or others in the back seat. They will not.I called Russell Honda in North Little Rock, AR and I am told that they could not sign anything either because he was not sure or that it could be possible that the sensor could be signaled. Then you start the customer service case manager and they put you to the fast track and never hear from them again and no answers. So I am to gamble and drive my vehicle until that part comes in and cross my fingers. I am not a good gambler. So Honda I believe needs to stand up and be responsible and allow for loaner cars until they fix this problem.

I bought a new 2013 Honda Ridgeline at a dealership. Once I hit 1200 miles, the vehicle would not start after sitting for one or more days. I took it to the Honda dealership that I purchased it at in Uniontown, PA and was told nothing was wrong. One week later, the problem happened again and I again took back to the Honda dealer in Uniontown. Once again I was told they could not find the issue. The not starting had occurred approximately 5 more times. On the fifth time, I called the dealer and Honda customer service. I was told to have the vehicle towed at my expense and it was suggested that I was making the issue up and that I may be experiencing buyers remorse. Honda customer service advised me to take it to a different Honda dealer since I was unhappy with the outcome. I obliged and took the Ridgeline to the second dealer to be told that I had a defective battery. The battery was replaced and I went on my way. Two weeks later, the problem of the vehicle not starting happened again. I took the vehicle to the second dealer again. They ran a parasitic draw test and could not find the issue. They changed the battery again and sent me on my way. Three weeks later, the problem persisted and back to the Honda dealer. They said the battery, the third one, had been significantly drained and charged it. This did not fix the problem. When the problem persisted, I took the vehicle back to Honda. I asked the service manager to try something different because what they had been doing did not work. He stated that since the parasitic draw test could not find a draw on the battery that Honda would not authorize any additional test or repairs. I personally called the Honda customer service line and spoke with a regional rep who proceeded to tell me he did not have time to discuss. I asked for another representative and was told that there was not anyone else to speak to. I asked for his manager and explained that I had plenty of questions that I would like answers to. He told me that he did not have a supervisor. I questioned him on this, doubting his integrity, until he confirmed that he did have a supervisor, but he would not connect me to her or give me her direct contact information. I then asked what steps he was going to take to help me. He said that he was going to contact the service manager at Honda and discuss. I requested a conference call with the three of us and he said that he did not have the capabilities to do so. I advised that my cell phone had these capabilities and I would do the call from my end. At this point, he agreed to do the conference call from his end. He proceeded to tell the service manager that I would be bringing the Ridgeline in the next day, which all three of us had already known, got a bad attitude, said he was done with this, and disconnected the line. The next day I received a call from an unavailable number that turned out to be a different regional manager from Honda. This person proceeded to tell me that I had to work with the original regional manager and vaguely gave me answers to the five or six inquiries that I had. I asked if if I could have a different case manager because the first one was deceitful and she advised that she did not feel that he had lied on three different occasions and that I had to work with him. My vehicle is currently at the dealership and I am awaiting the outcome. I have record of my Honda Ridgeline being at the Honda garage on 11 occasions for the same issue. I also have notated dates on 8 other instances when the vehicle did not start that I did not take it to the shop. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with Honda, the dealership in Uniontown, PA, and the Honda customer service department. The service manager at that second dealership in Richeyville, PA has been very nice and empathetic to me, and has stated that he is doing everything in his power to help me, but his hand seem to be tied back to Honda for he cannot do any repairs without the proper authorizations.

I have a stock Honda Ruckus. It is a 49cc work horse. From ripping down to the store for beer to loading up the deck with firewood, and driving it into my backyard. I dont think it can be beat! I weigh 175lb and can hit 40mph. It may not be the fastest on the road but it does get the respect of the road. I run premium gas and keep the oil change and any other maintenance up to date. The only con, it does not like to start in the colder months. I was offer a trade for a 125 Kawasaki, NOT A CHANCE!

I bought my 02 Accord brand new, and now have 174K on the clock. Ive replaced the transmission 3 times, and finally found a shop here in San Francisco that built it correctly. They told me that Honda transmissions are unlike any other standard transmission design and they fail often. Theres too much pressure kept in the torque converter, and not enough return fluid for the unit to function correctly. There are several aftermarket fixes, of course, that you have to pay for. When I picked my car up at the shop, there were 3 Accords, 3 Odysseys and 2 MDXs. I called American Honda to ask for some sort of help seeing as this is my 3rd time around the pony show - nothing. Shame on Honda for being so stupid in their design. Im not going back for more.

Last month, I cant remember the exact date, something has happen to my car. My son, 7 years of age, named, Muhammad Afdhal **, while playing with center rears seat belt has accidentally squeezed his stomach. My husband had tried to loosen the seat belt but unfortunately it further tightened his stomach. The situation at the time was so tensed because I can see my son facing difficulties in breathing. Two peoples around who were trying to help my husband said that we have no choice but to cut the seat belt. Without further delay, my husband ran to the nearest petrol station for cutter. Luckily, he managed to get it and straight away cut the belt. My husband managed to rescue my son but it became a nightmare for me because your service center had informed me that Honda is not liable to replace the belt. In other words, I have to pay by myself.

When I bought my 05 Honda Accord Hybrid, I was told the hybrid battery would last to 150,000 to 200,000 miles. At 81,000, just after the warranty expired, the check engine & IMA (hybrid battery) light came on. I paid $300 for a software upgrade at the time & was assured by Honda Customer Service that they would stand by their product. Over the next couple of years, the lights came on periodically and Ive had to pay for additional software upgrades. The last time it happened, the lights came on again less than 30 days later. Now Honda is saying the battery is bad and needs to be replaced, at my expense. I have called several dealers and gotten estimates ranging from $2,700 to $5,700 (for parts only). When I purchased this car, I was told the battery would cost $2,000 or less. Now Im stuck with a car that will not pass a state safety inspection without paying several thousand dollars for a replacement battery. On top of it, the car has NEVER gotten the mileage Honda claimed it would get. In fact, it gets WORSE mileage than my last Honda Accord.

I have 2009 Honda with only 60K miles on it, suddenly loud rattle started on a cold start. After reviewing online I found the issue to be a Faulty VTC Actuator WHICH IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH HONDA. I am just a few months outside of my extended warranty (of course) and the repair cost me $650.00 for again a known problem with Honda cars. (This was confirmed by the Honda service manager). I have submitted a dispute to Honda two weeks ago, I did receive a return call this past Monday to call back service rep. named Jennifer, I have called & left her 3 messages to return my call and still have not heard back. One time I called someone else answered & said oh she is ready to go unavailable, Ill put you in her voice mail. Terrible customer service & their Faulty VTC Actuators should be on a recall.Updated on 11/15/2017: Finally heard back from American Honda, they naturally wont reimburse me for replacing the VTC actuator & was basically told it was a consumer concern not a Honda issue. What??? I was told I had no loyalty to Honda & since my car is 2009 I should accept the fact I was responsible for the repairs. When I kept repeating myself about the faulty VTC actuator which was a known issue, the rep just kept saying it was a consumer concern not a Honda issue. He also stated that the engineers claim the VTC actuator would not do any harm to the car if I chose not to replace it, it was just the noise that was bothering me. I thought my head was going to explode... sorry Honda, that was just sad customer service.

We purchased a 2011 Honda Civic from a private owner over 4 years ago (2014). Would you believe WE JUST got the title clear and in our name??? (2018) Granted we started the process a year an a half ago when we tried to register it in a different state only to learn that Honda had some kind of hold on it. We kept getting someone from their customer service telling us they had fixed everything and would send out the title. Only to wait for weeks and never receive it. We couldnt register it until we held a title. They kept telling us they couldnt talk to us about why they couldnt release it??? WHAT? WE WERE THE OWNERS! This went on for months back and forth with a new person saying they were sending the title and going through the whole cycle again! Omgosh, so frustrating! I had to track the original owners down to help us, who had since MOVED OUT OF THE COUNTRY, and guess what? They (Honda) said that they had to be in a US OFFICE to sign some paper! We waited for them to come back for a visit to the U.S. and then thought everything was squared away, guess what? STILL DIDNT SEND THE TITLE. We ended up having to get an attorney and we used to be HUGE Honda fans.Never again will we buy a Honda. The customer service reps were always incredibly rude and disrespectful even hanging up on the original owner. Very, very, very disappointed in Honda to say the least. Customer service is a reflection of the company, I feel very strongly about that. I dont want to support a company that doesnt honor and serve their customers.

I would highly advise against ever purchasing a Honda vehicle as they have very sketchy lease turn in practices. My husband (a former Honda technician) and I turned in our 2 vehicles with the intent of purchasing 2 new Hondas, however they did not have any good deals going on so we chose to go with another brand. A month after turning our vehicles in we received a letter stating we owe close to 400 dollars for what I would consider to be normal wear and tear on my husbands vehicle (one small dent on one of the doors, a small tear in the floor under the accelerator and a small crack in the windshield which had just been replaced a few month prior, and had they told us this we could have gotten it fixed free through our insurance.) Our person who sold us our new vehicles told us they are pissed because we didnt purchase Hondas again, oh well we would have if they were more willing to make a deal!Apparently on their website somewhere it says in fine print that before turning your vehicle in you can have your own inspection done. Who in their right mind would think to go looking for something like this, or even think that they would need to do this. Our vehicles sat on the lot where they were turned in for 11 days before they were inspected by someone from Honda, we did not turn them in with a crack in the windshield and dent in the door so this obviously happened while in their possession.Following a few letters from an attorney on our behalf acknowledging that we are willing to pay to replace the carpet (even though I feel it is normal wear and tear) but we feel the other things are not our responsibility, Honda sent the matter to a collection agency without even trying to remedy the situation. Honda did not even reach out to discuss this matter with us, they just dismissed it completely showing they dont really care about their customers being happy. Had this have been resolved in a better manner, in 3 years when our leases are up if they had good deals going on we would have gone back to Honda, however now we will NEVER purchase a Honda vehicle again. I will also advise anyone we know who is thinking about purchasing a Honda vehicle not to for the rest of my life!

I bought a 2013 Honda CRV. The battery would drain after 2-3 days of sitting idle. I got it checked repeatedly at the Honda service department when I bought the vehicle. They kept saying the parasitic draw was within specification, and to disconnect the battery cables if it was going to sit for more than 2 days. So each time I park the car on a Sunday and dont move again until Friday (I walk to work), I have to disconnect the cables, or use a solar charger (I park underground heated parking at my condo). They said it was fine and just to drive it more, for 1.5 hrs at a time every couple days to charge up the battery. Ridiculous! I own two other vehicles (different brands) and they can sit for a couple weeks and start no problem. Never had this before, and have since heard it is common on Hondas. I traded it in for a different vehicle and will never buy a Honda again. Honda Canada customer department refused to acknowledge the problem, as did the dealership.

My previous Honda 2001 went through to 107,000 miles with only a loose transmission fluid hose. Amazing! This is not the case with my 2007 EX-L V6. The car was in four (4) repairs while on warranty! It had bad leather finish sticking out, rattle in rear door due to bad hinge, bad front brakes pulsating, complete failure of the whole AC system (the car was in repair almost two weeks for that one alone). Disgusting quality! Now, I did notice when the car was nearing the warranty end, I heard front cooling fans running long after the car shutdown. I got concerned and disconnected the fan wire and connected again, and the problem went away. A few weeks ago, my battery died. I put a new battery. I just noticed that my fan keeps running again for hours when the car is off. Turns out, there is something going on with relays. I am looking forward to dump this lemon as soon as I have enough money. I am not going back to Honda and I am educating everyone how bad Honda quality has become.

I have a 2014 Honda Accord EX - current MILEAGE 38,000 miles. First let me review the product. My first experience has been with the XM radio antenna. The radio antenna is no longer working. The antenna went bad at 25,000 miles and after a Honda diagnostic, it is close to $350 repair. Ridiculous!!! Second, my display screen for my radio as well as special features and safety precautions randomly does not display when started. That has been an intermediate problem so I have not been able to diagnose. Finally and the last straw, my starter needs to be replaced in my car with only 38,000 miles. What??? I thought Honda are suppose to be reliable. It is going to cost me nearly $700 to replace the starter. This is ridiculous and the quality of my Honda product has not meet my minimal expectations. Now let me tell you about the horrid customer service I received at three different levels of this problem. First I contacted my local dealer, Heather Cannon Honda in Ponca City OK, for a diagnosis of the starting problem. After waiting for my car, that has been diagnosed for six hours now, there was absolutely no paperwork ready or prepared for me when I got there. After watching the guy circle around three times, I was again irritated with Honda. Long story short, the owner called me a left a hateful and extremely rude message in my phone. I will no longer step foot in that dealership, so now I have to travel a total of four hours to the dealership where I purchased the new Honda. So I called Battison Honda in Oklahoma City. After explaining my situation with a service assistant, he told me it was above his pay grade and couldn’t help me. Just to let you know, I told him that at the beginning of the conversation I wanted to speak to the service manager, he refused. What I was asking for was an acknowledgment that they would replace my starter at the same quote price as the Ponca location. I also asked for some considerations on the repair costs because I feel that a new starter, antenna and display at 38,000 is excessive and a company who believed in their products would support their loyal customers. The is not my first Honda but it will be my last. Now the service assistant told he that he would return my call or the service manager would return my call. That was over 48 hours ago and I have heard nothing from Battison Honda in OKC. Now it is the Thursday before a holiday weekend and I have no car. I sure all these people at Honda a car that works, so they don’t care. During this time, I had sent a customer concern to Honda Motor Company. They said it was out of warranty and too bad, basically. I resent a response and someone from American Honda Motor Company was suppose to get back to me. Someone actually called and ironically enough, I was outside receiving my car from the tow truck it was attached to to get it home because it wouldn’t start. I returned her call immediately and have not received a call back. That was over 24 hours ago. The Honda techs name was Belinda and her ext is **. That is just for the Honda people’s info to follow up this string of horrid customer service practices. I am on a limited income and some consideration for the poor quality product I purchased would be very helpful. However, I can’t get anyone to even contact me back. All I can do is refuse to buy another Honda and tell others of my experience and hope they can make a more informed consumer choice.I do know the ugly manner in which Heather Cannon Honda of Ponca City OK has handled a customer has lost at least one Honda sale for her. (Not mine, another who I allowed to hear her message.) I am so unhappy with this Honda and Honda customer service that I hope this costs them a few more sales. Maybe then, they will make customer service a priority.

We have a 2010 Honda Odyssey with less than 60,000 miles on it. For the first few years, we had our servicing on the vehicle done at the local Honda dealer. After a few years spending several hours at each visit, we were told by multiple people in our small town about a local mechanic in town who is honest and fair. We switched to this mechanic to support local businesses and it is much more convenient and way less expensive. At our last check up for the car, the mechanic found a leak in the steering rack. It is quite a pricey item to fix and the mechanic stated that a car with our age/mileage should not be experiencing this issue and suggested we call Honda to see if they would do right by us. We promptly called Honda and were instructed to contact our local Honda dealer, have the car inspected and call them back. Apparently, there is a warranty extension on the steering pump (not the steering rack). When we called the dealer, we were informed that they would charge $134 to inspect the vehicle and if it was the steering pump, we would get our money back. Otherwise, it is $134 out of our pocket. As we attempted to make an appointment, the gentleman we spoke with took no information, didnt give us a time and actually laughed (this was from Joyce Honda in Denville, NJ). We called Honda customer service back and asked to have the $134 waived as we were certain that the problem was with the rack, not the pump, and since we are looking at a costly repair, we arent willing to waste an additional $134. We were told that all dealers are independently owned and the fee cant be waived. We were also told that they cant help us without having one of their independently owned dealers see the car. They also instructed us that after paying the $134, our case would go to a group who would look at our loyalty to Honda; how often we used their dealers to service our cars and how often we have bought a Honda. Our issue is this; clearly there is a faulty part here and yet Honda is not willing to fix the issue easily. We arent willing to front any cost here especially since we arent confident we are loyal customers since we have our servicing done elsewhere. This is our second and we have to say LAST Honda that we will ever own. Our local mechanic will get our business and we are confident he will fix the problem and all will be well, however, we should not have to cover the cost of a faulty part. Very wrong.

I made an appointment to have an airbag recall inspection done at Brown Honda Service in Toledo, Ohio. I arrived and was then informed that it would take 1 1/2 hours to look at the airbag. It was just an inspection, not a replacement. That is entirely too long for this to take. They should have informed me of the time when I called to make the appointment. I left very unhappy about the lack of customer service. The tech did call to suggest he come and pick up the car, but I was not going to give up my entire Saturday for this.

Wife purchased a 2019 Ridgeline. At 89 miles vehicle would not start and was towed to Honda. Since then the vehicle has 1200 miles and has broken down 4 times. 3 times it was towed for not starting and the only reason it wasnt towed a fourth time was that it literally broke down at the dealership after they had it for two days diagnosing why it would not start. Literally did not drive 100 feet and the transmission stopped working. Talked with customer service a few times so far. INFURIATING!! On my first call I was informed rather quickly I would NOT be getting my money back or a new truck. When asked what they were going to do for me... wait for it... they said They would call them and tell them to fix it right!!! AWESOME!!! In subsequent conversations all customer service regurgitates is warranty and repair talking points. At NO time will they discuss the consistent breakdowns as a problem nor will they let me speak to anyone above them. They disconnected me yesterday as I refuse to sit and listen to someone rattle off the business talking points. I would think any reasonable person would expect their new vehicle to not break down 4 times in the first 1200 miles. Seems Honda doesnt mind how many times it happens. Because remember... they will call and have them fix it right. NEVER AGAIN!!

I have owned Honda cars for over 28 years and have been very happy with them but I feel a need to mention one concern I have with Honda cars - the body frame. I admit that I hold onto your vehicle for a long time since they perform so well but each time I have had to replace my car, it is due to the body frame rusting out, never the engine. When driving on the interstate, my check engine light started flashing. I continued driving to get off the highest and since there was no noise or any change in performance, I assumed it would have been fine. Two minutes later, my car (07 Accord V6) shut itself off. I had it towed to an independent garage where I was told a spark plug had somehow came loose, fell through the cylinder, and exploded inside my engine. Now Im trying to decide what makes the most sense for a repair, to replace the engine or take apart the head and replace that and hope the ganging ring need to be replaced anyway. Good job, Honda for keeping such a reliable name. Out of all the people I have talked to, nobody has seen this happen.
