I got Honda Jazz on April last year. I had trouble within two months, no rear brakes. The dealership kept lying and saying nothing was wrong. Four times I went back with no help. Every time I put the handbrake on incline, nothing happens. I told them about this. I took the car to another garage for MOT, it failed on rear brakes. I went to the dealer and showed them the report. They refused to do anything. I paid for repairs myself, returned to the dealer with the bill and asked to see the owner. The staff member refused to get him and was rather intimidating and aggressive. The repairs showed the rear calipers were not working, only one pad was contacting with the disc, so I was driving a dangerous car. I would like something done before I take matters further. I think it is disgusting the way I have been treated. Trading standards said I would have had case if I had gone to them sooner.

I purchased a 2013 Honda Accord and my back glass shattered last week. Although Honda said it was factory defect, they would only cover 60% and I had to cover 40% because the car was out of warranty. REALLY if is a factory defect how can I be held responsible for 40%. I had to pay out of pocket $458. Furthermore, I just got a quote from Safelite auto glass for $319.00. How can it be possible that I paid more than what the glass is worth. On top of this my car has 2 recall, charging system problem and battery sensor. I always thought highly of Honda however with this experience I am very dissatisfied.

I booked and prepaid to have my windshield replaced by Honda in Concord. I paid on May 15th, prior to going to SFO to catch a flight. I was informed by the representative at Honda, that the glass people would need payment up front, and then book a date and time and the glass people will come to Honda and install. Well, here I am, Tuesday, May 28th, been here since prior to 8.30 a.m. My appointment was at nine. First of all, I was told they had no record of our payment for the windshield, which was paid on the 15th. I told them I have the record on my credit card. They said they still dont have record, they then located it after taking my car and finding the receipt in the center console.Anyway, here I am sitting at Honda, Concord, CA, 1.38 p.m., the service person came over approx. 1 hour ago, saying the car had GONE to the window place, and it will take almost all day. Okay, what happened to the window people coming here?!? Also, I have sat here for over 4 hours, unable to go to the bathroom, in case they happened to say it was ready. Also, we paid a large amount of money for a warranty, every time we come in, they cant find it on the computer, and they charge us!! Why dont they ask the financial department, as they have got it from there once before after a fuss from my husband. Now, my husband called, asking to speak to the General Manager of Honda Concord, and was told he wasnt allowed to speak to him. Was he asked to leave a message for the General Manager? No!!! He was told to leave a message for the Service Manager, who is apparently in a meeting and will call my husband back. Lets see how long that takes....

Honda Customer Service is extremely disappointing. Items offered/described on their website imply suitability for all--not true. Example: Website describes Backup Sensors as Help yourself in or out of a tight spot while helping to protect your paint; Four Sensors emit audible beeps into the cabin while you back up, signaling objects as you approach them. Beeps quicken as your vehicle gets closer to objects. Note: Back-up sensor attachment is required for installation. ** Polished Metal Metallic; MSRP: $265.32. On the purchase of a 2011 CR-V, we had backup sensors installed for $857. Turns out that the emitted beeps are very high-frequency which my husband cannot hear. (According to The National Institute of Health (NIH) 15 percent (26 million) of Americans between the ages of 20-69 cannot hear high pitched tones because of military service (in my husbands case dating back to 1965), etc. ) We would not have requested this safety feature installed on our new CR-V, the third new Honda my husband has purchased since 1997, unless we considered it important. We are a retired couple on a fixed income, and we think long and hard prior to spending this amount of money on discretionary items. Honda personnel with whom we have dealt offered us one option--go to an after market auto shop and see if they could rig up flashing lights to supplement the (inaudible) sound. Are they serious? In backing up, we have to look forward to see flashing lights!!! What about the sides of the vehicles where the backup sensors are supposed to ensure protection?

At 13,000 miles, I detected oil leaking onto my parking space. The dipstick indicated the oil to be 2 quarts low. My Honda dealer did not respond to my concerns via e-mail. I went to the dealership where the service department topped off the oil. I said it appeared that the plug was not secured properly when last serviced there. My leak improved but seemed to continue. Another e-mail was ignored. I traded for another brand.

The car cut off while I was in the store for five minutes. I was told that if you leave keys in the ignition while off, it drains the battery. No car in my life has that ever happened after leaving the radio in the car on and drained the battery. I had a problem within 3 months of buying a 2008 Honda. The car cut off and wouldnt start, and it did it again last night. I took it in before and the first time I took it in, the battery was fine. They checked the battery today and they said it was no good but it happened a total of 4 times and there was a recall on the car. It happened to other people and which shouldnt have happened. It cut off last night and no key was in the ignition and the battery died. I spoke to Ron, store manager, and the service manager and they refuse to change the battery. All they did was to charge up the battery because they wanted me to purchase a battery for $159 which is a problem. Because there was a problem a few months after I bought the car and I brought in for the same thing now, in less than a year. Honda told me that if you leave the key in the car, the car still is drawing power even though the key is off. I kid you not. My mom was in the car for five min. and the battery died. Honda of Roanoke Rapids doesnt care about customer service and doing what is right to satisfy the customer. The battery was going bad before I bought it in March. I will never buy a car again from them. And I have the powertrain warranty and American Honda forced me to get it and wont cover squat. I was forced to take it by American Honda or else they would not approve my loan. This was Honda of Roanoke Rapids. How many did they force to take warranty out so they can get more money from them?

I bought a new 2009 Honda Accord EX. After a few days, I realized that the drivers seat was very uncomfortable. It can be adjusted in three different ways, so I assumed I just didnt have it adjusted properly. Over the next three weeks or so, I adjusted it in every possible way, but it remained uncomfortable. I contacted the dealer. And they offered to help me buy a good used car (Thanks a lot!). I called North American Honda and they didnt care. And finally, I wrote Tokyo, but they just bounced the problem back to North American Honda. Finally, I got a call from some woman at North American Honda. She had all her talking points down pat. She told me that I should have known that the seats were uncomfortable before I bought it. I asked her how I should know that from a short test drive. She said I just should know. She told me that most people were satisfied with Honda seats. I asked her what Honda had to offer to those of us who werent most people. She had no answer. I also asked her how many complaints Honda had received about their seats. She quickly responded that that was confidential. I told her I could understand why. Her basic attitude was that Honda already had my money, so they didnt give a damn about my problem. I looked for after-market seats, but there werent any because of the air bags in the seat. Its illegal to disconnect air bags. And nobody made after-market seats with air bags. I had the foam in the seat replaced twice, but that didnt help. The car was so miserably uncomfortable that I traded it off after three months and 1700 miles.

Upon leaving the house a couple months ago, loading the kids in the car then, bam, the back passenger door falls, breaking the cable and damaging the fender in the process. Calls to Honda make it apparent they do not plan to do anything for a design flaw causing a safety concern for my kids who ride right next to this door. The repair from them is in excess of $1500! Then we are loading up today and bam, second back slider cable breaks! Now this door has our 6 month old baby right next to it! This is our only family vehicle, and to put icing on the cake, the sole provider for the family is off work for a back injury! Honda refuses to pony up and assist with issues despite calls asking why our 4 year old car is falling apart, their answers, normal wear and tear is not covered and we will have to foot the bill entirely on our own! Honda quality is nothing what it used to be and their customer service and support is laughable. Before these issues we were ecstatic to share our new car and tell everybody how great it was, now I would not recommend this car to my worst enemy!

I HAVE BOUGHT 5 HONDAS IN 6 YEARS. All were no trouble until this 2017 CRV would not start on May 16, 2019 in my garage. Battery dead. I was given two options, have it towed or jump it & bring it in. I charged it up a bit and drove it in to the dealer. They checked battery on a gizmo and said it was OK. I advised them I had checked the battery also and found one dry cell that was burned looking and three cells that were milky. My 40 years experience as a certified Auto mechanic meant nothing to these zomby robots. Took car home and was dead again. I went out and bought a battery so the wife could use the car. Whole day lost, 165$ gone and was advise they could not do anything for me. Called Honda customer care, same garbage. One excuse after the other not to cover the issue. I advised the Dealer that if the mechanic did not have a hydrometer and only uses the gadget to check batteries then they need a mechanic that will invest in a hydrometer. Honda will no longer have our yearly purchase to look forward to as my money is good other places. Honda is now a forbidden word in our home.

I have a 2011 CRV with 24,000 miles in it. (I drive 80 miles a day). In November 2011, I had a software update from a recall, that adjusted the timing. I was getting 32 mpg consistently on the highway, and 28 when I did city driving. After the update, I cant get anything more than 26, city or highway. Honda said to have the dealer check it. They did, and everything was okay, as far as they were concerned. Then Honda said to have the dealer run a mileage check. The dealer said there is no such thing, other than looking at the mpg indicator. Honda says if it is within the normal range, then there is nothing they can do. No one can give me a number for normal range. I keep getting the runaround from Honda. I have the extended warranty as well. This will cost me over $900 a year in added fuel cost at the current prices.

It works on and off once every 2 weeks I can unlock and open, every other time I have to throw things in trunk through back seat. These things are definitely not from wear and tear, have never had issues like this in any other car I have owned. Okay, I was a very, very firm believer in owning a Honda. My entire family
Okay, I was a very, very firm believer in owning a Honda. My entire family literally is driving one or has owned one. Even a lot of my extended family and I always vouched for them when people asked about my car. After I found out about the recall in June of 2016, through my sister mind you, I immediately wondered why I was barely finding out about my airbag recall now when someone people had known months before. Later that day I went onto the website to punch in my VIN number and check to see if my vehicle was a part of the unlucky bunch. Unfortunately, it was and my passenger bag was the airbag up for recall. And it just so happens that my boyfriends Honda, which is the same make and model as mine but a year newer, had the same passenger airbag recall as mine.So I called to speak with someone. They gave me the same bit as everyone. You can still drive it. Just dont have a passenger. But I did try to explain my boyfriend had the same problem and if we could just get one alternate transportation vehicle because we are not about to take two separate cars to the grocery store, out of town, or anywhere else that requires us to carpool. They just gave me some ** excuse that there was nothing they could do. For now I should avoid having anyone sit in the passenger side. They suggested I would be fine because my airbag shuts off when no one is in the passenger side and I tried to explain to them MANY, MANY times that my light doesnt turn on to indicate that my airbag is off and of course, same thing goes for my boyfriends car. Of course, that made their ears perk up and I finally got their attention. Or so I thought.Long story short, I called another 15 times, give or take. Every time I got the runaround and no one could help me. Its now the middle of August and someone has FINALLY returned my call regarding this and wouldnt you know it, Ive been denied alternate transportation and they will just order me the part to have my car repaired. Who knows when that will even be. Of course, I may have to pay out of pocket for the defective off switch on the airbag so that was some GREAT news to hear.Regardless, fixing my passenger airbag off switch doesnt fix my problem at all. Both me and my boyfriend have the same car with the same problem. We live together and have NO other means of transportation when we run errands or go out of town. The fact that Honda is just going to take a chance with mine or my boyfriends life is just remarkable. Thank you Honda for showing me your true colors. I will NEVER, EVER purchase another Honda again and I dont plan to refer people to your business. I do plan to tell people of my experience with your company and how youve handled this recall. My recommendation, dont buy a Honda. Avoid, at all costs, purchasing a Honda. Worst customer service of the year. Honda, you are all cowards and I hope you get whats coming to you.

While driving my car on I-10, both the passenger side curtain airbag and seat airbag deployed with no warning or reason! When I got home, I wanted to contact Honda; but a lawyer friend warned me to do my research first! I found several online complaints about the same issue. In each case, Honda claimed they must have run something over that caused airbags to deploy. In each case, driver was sure they didnt; but Honda refused to fix the car, and insurance also refused. I took proper steps to protect myself; and sure enough, Honda gave me the same response. I can’t believe nothing is being done about this! It is unfair and very dangerous to all drivers on the road! I brought my leased HRV -- 21,000 miles and under warranty—into Ocean Honda, Ventura, CA. The airbag light had come on. I was told it was rodent damage. The repair is not covered under warranty and the charge is $2,200! This is exploitation! A simple google search shows that since Honda and Toyota changed to soy-based materials, rodent damage has increased exponentially. Honda is not standing by their manufacturing decisions. I did not make the choice of materials to protect the very critical electrical system, Honda did. I feel so taken advantage of; I dont feel as if I can trust Honda ever again. Honda put out a statement that their solution is the rodent tape - ha! I called to see about buying a roll and the charge from Honda is $79! And how am I, an elderly person, going to wrap the car’s electrical wiring myself! That is outrageous. Not only is Honda not fixing the problem under warranty but is charging me outrageous prices to repair and prevent further problems. This is simply not acceptable when consumers have other choices in the market. I will not be silent about this issue and I hope others who find themselves in this position also voice their experiences and frustration. Honda was once considered a prestigious car maker. This is oh so disappointing and frustrating. If I could afford this expense, I would have a larger car and purchased, not leased. This is something like 10 lease payment for me to repair, no fault of my own. I live in a suburb, not out in the rural countryside. This is exploitative to say the least. Honda needs to step up and stand behind their product.

Honda issued a recall for the drivers side airbag in early 2016 and, unable to replace the airbag, parked the car behind the dealer and issued her a loaner in February and March of 2016. After 2 months sitting at Honda, they brought her car home so it would be inside a garage while waiting for the airbag replacement. During this time, she had the house on the market so she could move closer to my sister and I as my father passed away. We were concerned that the car would not be available for the 700 mile move all along and expressed this to the dealer who told her she could drive the car all over the country, contrary to what we were hearing in the media and from the Honda itself about the Takata airbag dangers. The house sold and we immediately informed Honda (the dealer and customer support) that we would need a car to move to Illinois. I told Tanya at Honda Customer Support we would have to rent a similar vehicle to pack and make the move if Honda could not replace the airbag in the CR-V. After speaking with Tanya many times, I was told that that we would be fully reimbursed by Honda for the expenses related to the airbag replacement and that there was no daily reimbursement limit. We rented the closest size SUV available (Pathfinder) and packed it for the move. Three days before the move Honda called and said they would be able to replace the airbag a day before the move.I had to unpack the rental car, drive an hour to return it and take a cab back to Honda to pick up the car. We submitted the expense report for $1,292.54 for the rental, gas and cab to Honda. After multiple calls, a reimbursement check for $162.11 arrived, wrong address and wrong payee. It has not been cashed. Honda will not put Tanya on the phone and says now the limit is $32.00 a day. I have made it clear to them that I had asked her multiple times about a reimbursement limit before renting the replacement vehicle and that Tanya said no limit. Honda has blatantly lied and my 79 year old mom is out $1,292.54. I have spent months dealing with this issue. Since I asked Honda more than once about reimbursement rates before renting a replacement vehicle, my mom deserves every penny she spent on this debacle and an apology from American Honda.

This has been my first time dealing with Honda. I leased two cars, Civic and Odyssey. This has been the worst experience in my life. I will never ever recommend buying or leasing or doing any business with Honda. Along the last 6 weeks, I have discouraged at least 15 of my friends from ever thinking in buying or leasing any Honda. Setting my account on line has been a nightmare and trying to make a payment was a nightmare. My temporary license is almost expiring in couple days and dealer is just careless. I made more than 7 visits to the dealer after leasing the two stupid cars to resign papers that were done by mistake. I do hate Honda. I do hate anyone who recommends Honda. I will always mention about my very poor experience and waste of time and discourage everyone I know to do business with Honda. I am seriously considering asking my lawyer to start a lawsuit against Honda for all the hassle and inconvenience I had. I am just waiting to have my temporary registration to expire and will sue you for the hassle and harassment and consequences for not being able to use my cars. Honda just goes to the hill. In continuation with the worst ever experience I had in my life dealing with Honda and its dealers, two days ago I received a call from the customer service of Honda to follow up regarding my complaint. The person who spoke to me lied to me and mentioned that he arranged for someone from the Midland dealer to bring to my home the renewed registration (plates) that expire on February 8th. He claimed someone will deliver the two temporary registrations today, February 8th. As expected, he was a liar and the dealer was a liar and no one came to my address. Tomorrow, February 9th, my two cars do not have valid license plates. Honda finances and the dealer who leased the two cars to me have already collected the fees for the lease and for the registration. Starting tomorrow, I will be charging Honda one thousand dollars per day until I receive the registration. The lease deal with Honda is no longer honored and I am not responsible for any payments until registrations are delivered to my address. I am also keeping my legal rights for suing Honda for compensation for the inconvenience and harassment. I will be talking to my lawyer to start legal actions against Honda. This email is a formal notification of your responsibility for the scam I have been exposed to.

I received this notice from Honda with this warning on my 2009 Accord V6. They said the parts will be available in late Summer/Fall 2016. They have an advisory to avoid having a passenger sit in the front passengers seat until the recall repair has been performed. However, they make no mention of the drivers side airbag. I am sure the warning applies to both but they dont mention that. One, they should be honest about driving the car until it is repaired and two, they should also do it as soon as possible, and three, make arrangements for the owners to have a safe car to drive until it can be repaired.

My recent experience with Honda has been beyond disappointing. I have never owned a Honda before, but I had heard good things about their reliability and that Honda was a reputable company that stood behind their product. Sadly, I have found none of this to be true. I will never purchase another Honda, and I have advised my friends and family to avoid making a purchase they will regret. I have also filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs. On July 20, during the hottest stretch of weather we have had in Vermont in a long time, my air conditioner quit. I looked it up on the internet to see if there was a quick fix. I was hoping maybe it was a fuse or something simple and I was surprised to find report after report and complaint after complaint about the air conditioner compressors quitting in the Honda CR-Vs. I went to a local garage, where they verified it was indeed the air conditioner compressor.Since my mileage was beyond the warranty, but the car is only a 2008, I called Honda to see if they could offer any assistance with replacing this very expensive part and was advised that I needed to have a dealer diagnose the issue. After making a 45-minute trip to a dealer for a 5-minute appointment, to verify the problem as Honda asked me to do. I again called to see if I could receive some assistance, anything, I was just hoping theyd pay half of it, just something to help me out and make a goodwill gesture. I spoke to a woman who was extraordinarily unhelpful and unsympathetic. She just kept repeating it was beyond warranty. I fully understand what a warranty is, and I explained to her that if it were under warranty I would have just taken it to a dealer in the first place and had it fixed! If my car were the only one with this problem, I would have accepted it as my bad luck and gone on my merry way. However, my research has shown that this has happened to many Honda owners and the part appears to be defective! The right thing for Honda to do would be to accept some of the responsibility for this defective part and offer owners some sort of assistance in making the repair. It makes me terribly sad that your company has chosen to not do the right thing. While trying to scrape up the money to have my air conditioner fixed, I had to borrow a friends car (a very reliable, older model Subaru with a working air conditioner), in order to take my 90-year-old father to the doctor because he is unable to tolerate the heat due to his age and his health. I was embarrassed to tell him that my 3-year-old car had such an expensive issue already. If it werent for the necessity of having air conditioning to drive my elderly parents around safely, I wouldnt even have had it fixed. In Vermont, we dont use air conditioning very often, which adds to the evidence that there is something wrong with this part as it couldnt possibly be overused in three short years. Especially in a state with such a short summer.I have enclosed a copy of the bill for my repair in the hope that your company will reconsider and take this opportunity to do the right thing and reimburse me for a repair that I should never have had to make. Sincerely,A very disappointed first and last time Honda owner

I bought a Honda Dio in August 2011. The self-start of the vehicle stopped working within 15 days from the day of purchase. Following this, the horn, headlight dipper, and the indicators all stopped working. We had to take the vehicle to the service station several number of times. The Sudarshan Motors Service Station in Nagpur charged the battery 6-7 times and replaced it twice, yet the problem remains. The people at the service station are clueless and very rude. It is annoying to take the vehicle there and leave it for a couple of days.

I called Hondas customer service on June 22 and let them know the situation and they created a case. I have yet to receive a call back after countless follow ups and voicemails to my case worker! I created a new case on July 14 due to the lack of response and I just received a follow up today 8/5. I have always enjoyed my Hondas but this poor experience has me looking at Toyota going forward. One thing I will not stand for is poor communication and customer service. My case workers voicemail says it may take up to 14 days to respond and that was 45 days ago. Ridiculous!

I am writing this to express my disappointment in a recent encounter with Honda Canada. My family has been dedicated to the Honda brand for over 30 years. My grandparents have purchased Honda their entire lives and their love for the brand was passed on to my parents, and now, my sister and me. When I was 23 years old, my father gifted me his 2001 Honda Accord, which has almost 400,000 km on it and is still going strong. Unfortunately, I was forced to sell my beloved accord when I moved across the country (with 400,000 km on it, I felt uneasy about driving the vehicle cross-country). When I returned to Nova Scotia, I once again demonstrated my loyalty to Honda and purchased a 2006 Civic. In late 2016, I received a recall notice for the passenger side airbag. I was familiar with this recall because I had received the same notice for my accord, which I immediately had fixed at a Honda dealership in Alberta.About two weeks ago, I was driving to work at 5:00am when my car overheated and began smoking. I was forced to pull over on the side of the highway and wait for CAA. That is not the issue, as I understand that it is normal for older vehicles to run into problems. I had the vehicle towed to a local repair shop, where they confirmed that there was a crack in my engine block. Unbeknownst to me, the issue was a nationwide recall. Although I had received the recall notice for the airbag, I was never made aware of the engine block recall. I found out about the recall at 5:30am, on the side of the highway, from my tow truck driver. Due to the recall ending on December 31, 2016, Honda was not willing to replace the engine block free of charge. My family and I reached out to Honda Canada to express the fact that we were never made aware of the recall. Had I known there was a recall, I would have gotten my vehicle fixed immediately. As a now 26-year-old woman, I work very hard to pay for school, insurance, rent and much more. The fact that my car is no longer functioning is truly devastating. After expressing our concerns to Honda, we were told that a representative would get back to us within a week and let us know if there was anything Honda would do for us since we had not been made aware of the recall. Almost two weeks later, Honda Canada got back to us stating that they would pay for the engine block, however I would need to pay $1,500 for labour. Not only is this unaffordable for a full-time student, but it is disappointing that an error made on Hondas behalf would cause me to pay $1,500.I am now without a car and refuse to pay $1,500 in labour to a company that does not stand behind their product. It is truly sad that Honda is losing a family of committed buyers (for over 30 years), due to this incident. I am now looking for a new vehicle, but want to make it very clear that my family and I will not be purchasing another Honda in the future. I hope that $1,500 is worth the loss of a truly committed family of (former) Honda lovers.

I purchased a 2019 NEW Honda HRV Touring in January 2019. I returned it the same day because the backup camera screen and voice commands were not working properly. The main touchscreen unit was replaced. Since January, the screen has been replaced again (total of 3 units), the microphone, and the Hands Free Link module have all been replaced within 10 months. After 30 days total at the dealership for repairs and four attempts I opened a claim with Honda for the Buy Back Program. Now after an additional two trips to the dealership to diagnose my vehicles problem including a diagnosis by the Field Service engineer, my claim has been denied. My vehicle still has the exact same problems that it had on the day I bought it.I was told by Honda that there was a well known software problem with my car. Honda was aware and working on a fix. My claim rep could not give me a estimated date for the fix (told me to check every month at the dealership to see if the fix was available) and she could not guarantee the fix would fix my car. She could not give me a reason why the dealership didnt know about the known problem and her answer for why parts were being replaced was that it was simply done as a courtesy to me. Yet, as a courtesy Honda would not buy back my car. The claim rep would not give me a written denial. She stated, It is Hondas policy to not provide any information in writing about your claim, only to give you the claim number. On the SAME day I was being told all of the information from the Honda claim rep the FSE told the dealership that the problem was a frayed USB cord he saw laying in my car. Not plugged in, not in use, just laying in the car. His suggestion was to not use the cord and see how things go. I have never had an issue with Apple Carplay not working. What I have repeated had problems with is not even an option when the cord is in use. The dealership duplicated the problem without any cords being plugged in. Now I have a 10 month old car that has options I am paying for, but do not work. The options may never work. I guarantee this. I will NEVER buy another Honda vehicle. I will never recommend Honda vehicles. I hope this review helps someone decide NOT to purchase a Honda.

Paid over $800 for tires and alignment and after I drove off I realized I had to force the wheel to the right for it to stay on the road. Then to test it I let go of the steering wheel multiple times and it immediately pulled to the left. I called the service department three times to speak with the man who oversaw my service, he didnt answer. So I made a u-turn and returned the vehicle. He did a test drive and came up with new terms to explain why its pulling and blamed it on the road. Three different men drove the car three different times on the main road including the technician and claimed nothing is wrong with the car. They refused to service it or even take a look at it. I told them not to drive out my gas and my mileage. They still took the car anyways and drove it around. The manager asked at first I said no then yes. He also did everything to try and keep the car on the road but still refused to service it or replace the gas in my car. As he was testing the car he was raising his voice at me saying its the road the car is pulling because of the road. I will never ever return to any Honda dealer to service or purchase a car. They are a bunch of criminals running a business.

We bought our van in Oct 2015, it only had 30 some thousand miles on it. Nov 2016 the engine light came on. Long story short we had to replace all 6 spark plugs. It came up misfire codes. The plugs were black and 1 was actually melted. Our mechanic thought that was strange, but replaced them, 500 bucks later. 8 months later, check engine light again... misfire code for cylinder 1 again, spark plugs were just changed not long ago, so we changed out coil packs. 1 month later again with the engine light... but now its misfire and catalyst codes. Ok, maybe coil packs were defective... there should be no problem with the plugs, they are less than a year old. Change out coil packs, reset codes. 3months later engine light again, wth! Ok, so maybe its just a computer glitch or something, were replaced stuff already. Same codes, reset them and went along with life.Dec 2017, engine light again, then ABS light and another light, I forget which one, but the 2 are lights that have nothing to do with the engine. Still same codes, misfire and catalyst. Within 2 days the lights all went out. Whatever, just dont have time for crap, and van seemed ok I guess. Then last week, engine light came on, van broke down. Got it to mechanic. Same codes, misfire and catalyst. Plugs are black again. Van has 112k miles on it now. Now my mechanic does some research, because this should not be happening, plus we were low on oil and not due for an oil change yet which we faithfully do. So he finds there was a lawsuit against Honda for the same exact issue going on with my van. For Odyssey up to 2013, well mines a 2013. So they send it to a Honda dealer.Dealer puts in vin, no problem just have to make sure the codes stay, take pictures and submit everything to Honda. Done. Get a call today. Technically my van is not covered under the extended warranty from the lawsuit. So they offer me a courtesy offer, I pay 60% and they pay 40%. I dont think so! Not only is this the 2nd time my van is going in for this repair, but my catalytic converter is now affected because of it, and they want me to pay 900 bucks! My vin is 1 number off from the lawsuits, but I have the same exact engine as those in the lawsuit and the same problem and Honda thinks they are gonna make me pay for repairs for something that is a known problem. They tell me they have nothing else to offer me. Prove to me my engine was affected at the time just because my vin is 1 number off, but yet its the same exact problem that Honda tried to hide before and want me to pay for, well 60% and they pay 40%. Hmmmm???? I made a claim with American Honda, they didnt do crap, and Im still waiting to hear from the District Manager that told the service guy to offer me the deal. Yeah, Im not stupid! And Im at 3 hours later and still havent heard back from anyone.Honda already had 1 lawsuit against them for this problem, and they Im well aware of it but still want to do nothing about it except make me pay over 900 bucks to fix a problem that is apparently a problem Honda has had with many of these engines. Unfortunately we travel a lot, but keep up with the maintenance on our van. Yes it has 112k, but Honda engines are supposed to be really good. They had a problem with this particular engine and now dont want to fix mine on their end.

My 2004 Honda Accord Coupe started jerking at 78,000 miles. I had someone look at it who is a mechanic for the FBI. He said there was very little transmission fluid in the car and that was unusual. Two weeks after he put in transmission fluid, I was alone in the city and my car would not go into reverse. I panicked and called this man who recommended a transmission place. The cost was $2,550 to have the work done. I am a single mom and had to rent a car for the week it took to replace the transmission. This cost an additional $200. I looked up Honda car problems and this is a common problem with my car. I called Honda and they said that my VIN was not a car that was documented as having a problem. I have since had the car repaired and it still doesnt feel quite right. The transmission company asked if I would bring the car back in three weeks, so that they can check that everything is working properly.

I bought my Civic Sedan LX 2012 on February 4, 2012 from the Honda dealer at Manhasset. I only have a little over 5,000 miles on it because I mostly only use it to commute to work during the weekdays. One of the reasons I bought a Honda car instead of any other was because of its high standard and reputation for making great motor vehicles that don’t break down easily. This past week, my car, for the second time within a year, had to go back to the shop for maintenance and repairs due to water leaking into the gas tank. The first time this happened was back on September 2, 2012.I had the car taken to Hillside Honda to be inspected. When they looked into it, they found that water had gotten into the gas tank. Ive been going to the same gas station near my house ever since I bought this car, and nothing like this ever happened before either to me or anyone who goes there. My family, friends and co-workers all blamed Honda for a manufacture defect. But even though I felt bad about this case, I didnt blame Honda at all and in fact, finished off paying off for the car this past January 8th - 11 months after I bought the car and much earlier than the initial 3 year plan I signed up for. Then now, only a few months later, the same thing happened.I can only deduce that either I believe there was a mechanical deficiency, to begin with, in the car when I originally bought it, or when I had the car fixed and the people at Hillside Honda said that they put all new parts; they put the same ones back because the exact same thing happened. It’s a brand new model and I demand something be done about this because now I have a phobia about driving this car, and because I don’t know when or where my car might stop. Safety should be a priority on any vehicle. Luckily both times, I was near my house when this happened; God knows what could have happened if the car chose to stop on the highway. If something like this happened 5 years after I bought the car, I would surely take responsibility for it; but how can something like this happen twice within the first year? This is unacceptable and totally unfair for me to have to take responsibility for. Not only do I want Honda to recall this vehicle and pay for the costs in having to repairing this vehicle for breaking down both last time and this time, but I would also like a refund for the car itself. If I didnt care much about having to constantly care for my car, I would have bought a used model and at a significantly lower price. I trusted Honda’s integrity even after last September’s incident, which made me pay off the rest of the car without any further doubts; but now, I know I made a mistake in thinking so.

Hello, I visited Metro Honda service center on 4/8/2019 for regular service
Hello, I visited Metro Honda service center on 4/8/2019 for regular services. They change oil in my car on 28,503 miles and my current miles is 30,245 so just after I drive 1742 miles my cars oil life is 60% left. Actually when my car was on 30,000 miles that time I found that my cars oil life is now just 60% left. I clearly feels that this service center done something wrong with my car because as per my research I know that Honda Civic 2016 Ex-T model have synthetic oil and that have normally life of 7500 miles. In my car already 40% oil life is finished so I will get oil change soon around at 31,500-32,000 miles (from now after 1500 to 2000 miles). Every time I go to this service center and they are only the people changing oil in my car when this time I went there that customer service representative asked me that, Why are you just coming here for oil change and and why tire rotation and other services you are not giving us to do it here. I told them because they are charging too much money and not doing proper services so then customer service representative told me that, then why do you came here for oil change, go to the another service center who ever is giving you cheaper service, and that time I didnt give him any answer but I feel that this is not the right way to talk with the Honda customer. I am using Honda car because I have trust on the company. I strongly feels they did something wrong with my cars oil that why 40% of oil life finished too much early and previously I never seen that my oil life reduce this much faster. I am using my car daily. I have another same model car that is also 2016 Honda civic Ex turbo model and same silver color but that car I bought from another dealer and in that car also I drive same mileage and still in that car I change my cars oil around at 6000+ miles every time. I have trust on Honda that why I am using two same model of cars because I am driving it everyday. So I want refund for this oil change and also I want proper service for my car. I clearly feels that Metro Honda from where I bought my car and there I am going every time for oil change they did something wrong. Also, one more thing I would like to describe here that is before around 10 months ago at this service center they found that in one of my cars back side tire due to manufacturing fault there was something wrong with the brake and that they found after 2 years and 3 months after I drive my car for 24000 miles around. This is the thing which is risky for someones life. Great car! I have had it for 4 years now and I dont regret the purchase. Beautiful car! Comfortable! Roomy! Great family car! Perfect for vacations or just a ride around town. Love all of the extra features! Its the nicest vehicle Ive ever owned. I would buy another one in a heartbeat if I could afford it. Please give me money so I can purchase a new one. I like the CD player, sunglasses holder, storage options, interior color, exterior color, adjustable side mirrors, adjustable rear view mirror, fold down back seats, Leather interior, heated seats, sunroof, navigation, backup cameras, Bluetooth stereo, and alloy wheels. However, I dont like the fact that there is no DVD player option. I wish it was easier to sync phones through the Bluetooth technology and that there was climate control in the back seat. I also wish the car washed itself. It is 2018 and I cant believe that type of technology doesnt exist. I dont like having to pay to update the maps on the navigation system.

The Honda is very dependable with good gas mileage. Solid construction. I did a great deal of research before buying a Honda and thanks to Consumer Affairs narrowed it down to Nissan, Toyota and Honda. The design of the Honda was superior as was the handling and performance. I knew it was the right car for me at this point in time.

Hondas PHEV Clarity cannot properly charge at public charging stations, specifically ChargePoint with dual ports. It handles fine at home with a dedicated 30A charger. We bought the car to take advantage of an employee benefit of free charging (up to 3 hours), but the vehicle cannot sustain uninterrupted charging. Numerous attempts to restart charging will cause the vehicle to malfunction including inability to start the car. This will result in waiting for at least 3 hours to allow the system to auto-recover from the multiple plug-in/plug-out attempts. Issue has been diagnosed by a local dealer, but Honda is too slow to address the problem.

I have a new 2016 Civic and it is a great car. It is my fourth Civic, but there are a couple of things that I do not like about it. It does not have a CD player in it. I do not like any of the stations on the radio and I do not like the music of today. I loved listening to my music from the 50s, 60s and some of the 70s, but now I cannot do that because you opted not to put CD players in your new cars. I am not a person that has a Ipod, so that is not an option to listen to. I was very disappointed when I found out about this feature. The trunk door lock on the drivers door is an annoyance. I cannot reach the door handle to close the door when I get in so I have to grab on to the pocket where the button for the trunk button is and 9 out of 10 times I hit it and have to get out of the car to close the trunk. Why didnt you leave it where it was on the 2013 Civics??? Whoever makes these changes should think of the Seniors that purchase these vehicles and leave some things alone. Other than those two features that I just explained, the car is great and I do love it. Thank you for listening.

Ive enjoyed my 2003 Honda Odyssey as a family car and also to haul garden materials. The seats are comfy and the overall driving experience is good. My main complaint is twofold. First, it gets only about 16 miles to the gallon around town/18 on the freeway. This is pretty poor by any standards. And second, the clear coat on the dark green paint job has failed; this began within 8 years of purchase. Large portions of the horizontal surfaces have peeled off, leaving a white residue, while the vertical surfaces still look very nice. I see other Odysseys around town of the same vintage and they all have the same problem. And a quick look on the web shows that this is a massive problem. I am looking forward to buying a new car soon but will not be buying a Honda due to the paint problem. Its a shame really as the car has performed well.

I recently purchased a $30 Honda shirt (Made in Taiwan) from the apparel store. After one wear, the material was easily altered (for better lack of term). I returned it, received an in store credit and immediately used the credit, added $30 to that, and purchased what I thought to be a Quality $60 Honda Jersey. At the time I did not realize it was also made in Taiwan! No tag, only a plastic Made in Taiwan stamp inside! Well customer service refused to accept the return because supposedly there was no manager in store. On my way out, the salesman & I talked and he was able to talk with someone who the cashiers could not talk to, and the salesman offered me a $25 in-store credit! I basically refused, and he was surprised because he said its usually not hard to give away $25! Without him realizing, I didnt want to give away $35 (the difference of what I paid)! I left the store, left the jersey in the parking lot and will never visit the store again! I purchased a $7K bike (cash), I purchased other apparel, accessories, gifts, helmets, even $149 boots a month ago. I felt good to be a loyal customer but too bad I didnt get the same loyalty! I was so mad I was in tears! Oh well, no more tears over Dreyer as I will shop elsewhere!

I called them several times. The pressure on the wand built up and my husband could not get it to release. They told us to take it to a repair shop. I told them it is a safety issue, if someone was around when that pressure released, it would hurt anyone close by and I did not want to load it and haul it for that reason. It was a commercial heavy duty washer, which we thought would last longer, it is about 3 yrs. old. It is used maybe twice a month, and just for personal use at home.Needless to say it is just sitting out our way so when it blows hopefully no one will get hurt. If they do, I told Dewalt they will be responsible as they have been told and chose to do nothing about it.

Honda fuel door: 2017 Honda Ridgeline. There is an outside door with weatherstripping, however, dust can get between the door and the capless filler opening and then on into the hose leading to the cannister. There is a flap at the end of the hose going to the tank, and there is another flap inside at the top of the hose. Between the two flaps, there is a small hole at the bottom of the filler neck, approximately 1/4 by 3/8. Dust can get between these two flaps and be sucked into the hose leading to the canister, eventually plugging it and setting the error code. This is a design error for a pickup which is advertised for use on dirt, mud, and snow. Though there is weatherstripping on the outside door, there are two small drainage holes inside the door. These two holes empty just ahead of the rear wheel. Dust can enter either through the outside door seal or through the drainage holes. At the least, there should not have been a hole between the two flaps without some type of filter, allowing dust to collect just in front of the second flap and be sucked into the cannister. Though one could clean the outside flap before filling the tank, that is not possible between the two flaps, and while driving dust can be sucked into the line going to the canister. I think Honda should pay to have the line cleaned and the canister changed if necessary.History: At about 18,000 miles the check engine light came on, emissions problem. I took the pickup to Mistlin Honda in Modesto, CA, on November 13, 2018. Their report was that the car was dirty underneath, reset the computer and told me it would not happen again. The check engine light came on again at about 23,000 miles. I took the pickup in again on May 28, 2019. That time I was told there was dust in the system and it was not covered under warranty.I called Honda at 1-800-999-1009 and spoke with a rep who assigned the call to case #** and was referred to Lovette, same number, Ext **. She called me back on August 1st and after I explained the issue to her, told me to call Dennis **, Service Manager at Mistlin Honda, 549-5000, Ext **. She said he would be able to agree that the problem should be covered under warranty. Dennis told me he was not authorized to do such a thing and I would have to talk to someone at Honda to authorize such a repair.I called her back to tell her that Dennis told me he can’t do that. I left a message; since then I have called three times but she never returned my calls. Called Aug. 9 and got another rep who was of no help. Said a case manager will call me within three working days. Old case manager, Lovette finally called back and told me, essentially, tough. Last Honda I’ll ever buy. Have a Subaru with over 200,000 miles, same environment and no problems. Ready to replace it – will be with another Subaru.

I bought a 2013 Honda CRV. The battery would drain after 2-3 days of sitting idle. I got it checked repeatedly at the Honda service department when I bought the vehicle. They kept saying the parasitic draw was within specification, and to disconnect the battery cables if it was going to sit for more than 2 days. So each time I park the car on a Sunday and dont move again until Friday (I walk to work), I have to disconnect the cables, or use a solar charger (I park underground heated parking at my condo). They said it was fine and just to drive it more, for 1.5 hrs at a time every couple days to charge up the battery. Ridiculous! I own two other vehicles (different brands) and they can sit for a couple weeks and start no problem. Never had this before, and have since heard it is common on Hondas. I traded it in for a different vehicle and will never buy a Honda again. Honda Canada customer department refused to acknowledge the problem, as did the dealership.

I am writing to you to inform that I am very disappointed with customer service care line from HONDA from the way they handle case. The story is like this: My nephew call customer service line at 1800-18-1177 on 13th November 2018 after his car ** accidentally hit broken hole at Bangi while heavy raining. He call at 3.00pm plus and towing truck only arrived at 7pm plus. After they checked the car (in front 2 tyre burst and found the car cannot start) they say will send the car to the nearer HONDA which at Semenyih. They ask whether can they send to SAG ULTIMATE centre which my nephew do not know actually. The place is only for (Body and Paint centre) after accident. Here what I want to question how come Honda towing track staff do not know where to send the car base on the car situation and case. My nephew is not accident which I think they should straight send the car to the nearer HONDA service centre. How come they send the car to the body & paint centre???14th November 2018. I went to the SAG ultimate and they mention they did not provide checking or repair for engine issue. Then I call back your customer service line and talk to Ms. ** to collect back the car and send to the HONDA service centre but she mention I need to pay for it which is the procedure is like that. Im like… What? I have to pay for your mistake? And further Im not asking to bring to other workshop. Im asking to collect and send to HONDA service centre. I really hope the management of HONDA look into this issue. This will make your customer feel upset and HONDA reputation will affected. Your customer service never act professional in this difficult situation. Its not about the money that we need to pay extra for the towing issue but just the matter of professionalism and customer happinessLastly I would like to give compliment and professional sales services to SAG ultimate branch at Semenyih to the Manager (Steve **) which provide me efficient and fast respond on settling this issue. He take the responsibility to send my nephew car to the Semenyih HONDA service centre without any charges. Thank you for his staff at the SAG centre, Mr. Chin ** and En ** for the good customer care and professional attitude. Thanks.

I leased a car from Acura (Acura TL). However, my experience was not as great. For the end of lease inspection, they charged me for scratches on the rims although the mileage on the car was only 40000 KM, no accidents and in a very good condition.I am going to go public about this issue and make sure I would let anyone I can know about the experiences they can go through if they lease any car from Honda or Acura. A few years back on a cold February night, I was driving home as usual. I soon noticed a spark from the hood and realized that I should pull over. It took just about all my might to pull the car over into a parking lot. As soon as I exited the vehicle, I saw flames shooting out from the hood. I stood on the side of the road shocked at what I was seeing. Everything in my car was ruined - my workbag, a store return in my trunk and even my 1-year old sons car seat melted. We were at a loss on what to do next and did the normal procedure of calling our car insurance. The initial inspection to see if it was a fire due to our negligence was done and a check for the value of the car was received. It would cost $7,000 to see the exact cause of the fire, which would have been at our expense and almost the whole value of the lost vehicle. Our precious Accord was our only vehicle and paying for rental cars was getting too expensive, so we decided we couldnt do the inspection and wanted to have this nightmare over with, only to be haunted by it later on. Our son is 4 now and we received a letter in the mail indicating a recall on our car to fix a defective power steering hose that can leak fluid and catch on fire. If you recall, I had to use all my might to pull the car over, which I assume that the power steering hose having a leak is very possible to be the cause of the fire.We have contacted Hondas recall department and Walter was assigned to our case. Regardless of what happened (me almost being in the car while it was on fire), the car no longer exists so therefore, Honda doesnt care. Interesting enough in the same month, 3 years later, we passed a newer model Accord in almost the exact location with its hood on fire. And yet there is still only 1 reported car fire due to the recall. I honestly doubt thats the case and that there are many other victims. I am certainly angry!

Furthermore the vehicle develops a weird action that stalls the engine when you try to accelerate to pass another vehicle. I have taken my car back to service at Honda since day one for a rocky and shifting ride. I have been told over 20 times that there is nothing wrong with my car that it drives as designed. I have also taken my car to outside mechanics that have told me exactly what I felt when I drive my car. The other mechanics (not Honda) state that my car drifts left and pulls right. Each time after I take my car to an outside mechanic I then take it back to Honda service and they say the same thing, car drives as designed and that they can not find anything wrong with my car. What I found out between the 14th and 15th time of taking my car to Honda that every time that I have brought the car back that my rotors and brakes we always inspected as part of Hondas service plan. So my thing is that if it had be inspected and the outside mechanics noticed it immediately how come Honda never diagnosed the problem (Oh my bad. Theres no problem). I have gone to the attorney general and without an inspection of my car or anything they sided with Honda. I tried the Better Business Bureau but they do not deal with brand new model vehicles. They referred me to NCDS National center for dispute settlement, a carbon copy of the attorney generals office. So no matter the documents you have or proof its basically your word against the word of the big corporation. Im in a losing battle while still having to pay for and drive a vehicle that probably will be the cause of my life and my families life as well as others. Been thinking of a voluntary repo but that will kill my credit. Better my score than so many lives.

I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Touring trim (nearly $40K car). Have had 7 different failures so far (defective paint, electronics failures, parts falling off car door seals, wheel well lining, etc). Hondas answer is to keep taking the vehicle in for service. Its only 3 months old with 6500 miles, and its constantly breaking. In spite of the obvious fact that I have a lemon/dud, Honda will NOT replace the vehicle. My dealers answer outside of keep bringing it in for service was for me to sell my car back to them at a loss, and theyd work me a deal on a new car.GARBAGE quality from Honda. Even worse they dont want to stand behind their product. Ive been working with Leo at Hondas customer care, and he said theres nobody I can escalate to, but hed discuss this internally with the distributor (?) who generally does not talk to the customer. At this point I am in the process of yet more repairs, but a new car experience should NEVER be like this.Ive owned Honda cars my whole life, and have had an 83, 87, 2000, 2005 Accord, as well as a 2005 and a 2006 Odyssey. My 2005 Accord was a nightmare, but that was due to a 3rd party, aftermarket hack job from the dealer, so I cannot state that was a Honda issue. Now I have a 2018 Accord, and outside of some miracle response from Honda to make this right, it will be my last Honda EVER!! To be specific, heres a list of my issues so far in my first 3 months/6500 miles on the car: 1. Paint defect on side of car in front of passenger door 2. Paint defect on roof of car3. Failed backup camera/console unit 4. Weather stripping literally falling off passengers back door 5. Wheel well came loose and is resting on the tire while driving (part is in back order) 6. Bottom weather stripping loose, and sticking outside of rear passengers door7. Intermittent charging working/not working on wireless cell phone charging pad (iPhone X)NOTE: When the dealer looked into the paint on the roof, they first wanted me to file a claim with Cameron (additional paint protection/warranty product I bought), and there was a small elbow sized dent in the corner of the roof after they looked at it which I had to speak with the service manager about to get fixed. They did fix it, but didnt initially want to take ownership of it. Seriously, Honda? Ive Never spent so much money to only live to regret the purchase and get such a careless response from the manufacture of such a clear quality issue with YOUR product. If you are thinking of buying a Honda, buyer beware, and know that Honda will do nothing more than keep sending you in for repairs time and time again. I fear Im reaching the point that the lawyers will have to battle this one out.

I have 2009 Honda CRV, over the internet lot of customers like me complained about their A/C stops working when it reaches close to 100K miles. Its because of their faulty Air Compressor system. When they assembled the car, why didnt they test this system. And when they know its a problem that almost all customers are facing, why are they extending warranty to just 6 or 7 years, what about people who dont put much of mileage on their car every day and who use it as secondary vehicle. And their car takes one or two years more to reach their faulty systems to stop working. And moreover someone who lives in North Central United States who see cold weather almost throughout the year, and just few days of Sunny days in a year how do we determine A/C is working. Before assembling the car first thing they need to ensure they have all right quality parts without which assembling the car and selling it to customers is like deceiving customers and making false business to make money. Now, when I look at my car VIN number it says there is a recall on Driver/Passenger airbags. Not sure how they manufactured such parts and how they tested them and why were they in such a hurry to assemble such faulty products and sell it as a SUV to customers.

I went to a Honda dealer local in Jefferson City, MO on Monday, April 29th, in the evening to look at new Honda Accords. We could not come up with an agreement for $16,000 that was offered for my 2012 Accord from a local Kia car dealer. I asked for the keys to my used 2012 Accord back from the used car manager. He refused to hand the keys back over to me. At this point, I was very loud and demanded my keys back stating I could not deal with him on a new 2013 new Accord and wanted to leave. He asked me to sit down. I refused then he kept badgering me till I finally signed paperwork on a new 2013 Accord. By this time, 8:45 pm, almost an hour after the dealership already closed, I signed paperwork for a new car. I did not even drive the new car off the lot of the dealership. I slept very poorly that evening! I went to the Honda dealership as soon as they opened that morning, Tuesday April 30th, and tried my very best to explain that I felt that I was rushed/forced to buy that car that night and wanted to pay for any and all paperwork cost that was created on my behalf. The used car manager then proceeded to tell me that it was a done deal and I had already bought the new Accord keeping in mind I never even had time or a chance to drive the car. I offered $500 or whatever it took to reverse the paperwork. The manager stated all the paperwork was already turned in and I now owned the car and there was nothing I can do about it. The new car still sits at the dealer. I told them not to pre-deliver it or install any of the options that were wanted. They refused to comply so then I contacted my attorney to ask for legal help in the matter. Please note this is the 5th new car I have bought from this dealer so I have been a loyal Honda customer to Honda and the Honda dealership. Right now, I am worried about my near perfect credit score as a result from this mess. I am very angry at the high pressure sales and lack of cooperation from this dealership even when I never drove the new car and I am willing to pay for any and all inconvenience. This has been a very bad experience and I would highly recommend going to another dealership.

All the trunks leak. All the cup holders break or stay stuck open. Constant replacing spark plugs and wires. You have to rev them like mad (but the most of you know the VTEC deal). The worst is the radiator issue. Also, expensive brake jobs. Around 80K miles they have to be replaced. The cat heat shields on all. Yes, there are worse cars out there. But, Honda is way overrated. My first Honda, 89si, they told me the payments would be 254 a month. Being gifted mathematically, I told him he was off 25 bucks. Show me your work. He wouldnt. I then ran the numbers by him and lo and behold, he never counted in my down payment. Then the clutch went bad at 800 miles and they said it was a moving part. I told them I would burn the car in front of their place. My brother, an attorney, fixed the problem. He also found out the finance guy and a girl got arrested. This was Martins Honda in Manhattan. But I never had another issue with that car, outside of the spark plug, radiator, cat shield and cup thing. Wrecked it and bought a 95ex. Cat shield, leaky trunk, same issues as above but the clutch was fine. Replaced the radiator. Bought a 2002 ex, Same issues as above minus the clutch. I guess Id rather know the enemy than roll the dice. Still have the car but its parked in the garage for posterity.Best Honda we ever had was the 98 Odyssey. What a car. Best ratings in Minivan history. My oldest just sold it with a zillion miles on it. We brought into Brewster Honda for a brake job and I had put brand new windshield wipers on it the day before. Went to pick it up and the wipers were swapped out with worn out mismatched metal on glass wipers. I was livid. They told me it wasnt their responsibility if the car was parked outside and someone stole or damaged it. I said, if someone stole them, under the bright all night light, who on earth would take the time to replace them? Common sense. I told them I have another set of keys and Im driving off. See you in court and you know Ill win. They gave me new wipers. My other two Honda I inherited. One blew up after the dealer allegedly put in a new timing belt, the other is an Accord that is old but has the best AC Ive ever been around. Odd as the AC in my Civics were awful. It wont show me as a verified owner but its kind of obvious I am. PS: Go in with your own financing because Honda is the worst at You can get 3% interest if you do this undercoating or whatever and blah blah. Said no the first time and now my answer is, I want out of this room. Where do I sign. It seems like a prevailing theme with auto dealers.Havent bought a Honda since the 02. Someday, if I move south, Id consider an Accord. Seems like so much technology now, that the length of warranty of whatever brand is a starting point. All these techno cars and going to be crazy money to fix. I give the cars 4 stars and the dealers 0 stars. Considering how many truly lousy cars are on the road and that almost all dealers are lame. That should come out to 2 but you dont deal with them much. So Ill say 3 stars. Of course, everyone reads 1 star and 5 star reviews (looking for consistency in the good and or the bad), so this wont be read by too many.

Hondas are well made and great cars to own and I am very pleased with my Honda. It runs and looks great, and gets amazing gas mileage. Its dependable and it just gets up and goes. I am a mother of 3 and I can always count on my Honda to get me where I need to go. I love it. I like the sporty look and the trunk space in my Honda. I like that it rides smooth and sails down the road. But I would prefer a four door instead of a two door, it would be a lot easier to get my baby in and out of her car seat with four doors. I would also like more back seat space and a little more space between the front and the back seats.

2019 HRV Have been happy with it. Infotainment center has always given me a problem. When turning on right blinker Apple car play turns off. Using steering wheel to change display doesn’t work. Constantly lost signal in middle of driving for no reason. Brought in more than once to fix it and all they did was reset it which only made me have to reset stations. Now nothing works on the system. They have no idea how long it will take to get entire audio system back in stock. So now The car I bought to have Apple Car play and maps does nothing. Can’t use phone charger. Can’t use Bluetooth. Nothing but a blinking H for who knows how long. I feel like I have not a full car. Finally ready to go on road trip and the things I bought for safer trips and doesn’t work. Bought the touring for all the infotainment and now have nothing. Paid for infotainment and now have nothing with no end in sight. Would not buy again because of this. Would sell now but wouldn’t get moneys worth because of it. 2019 HRV not worth it if you want a working radio or car charger or map.

Durability would have been a 5 except for plastic side mirror which has been a problem. Performance has been great. Gas mileage excellent. Repairs few. Performance and comfort excellent. Have performed regular maintenance only. Buying and servicing car has been a pleasure. As an older female, have experienced unpleasant disrespectful interactions when purchasing and maintaining other car brands. Overall performance, comfort, durability, and holding value would motivate me to buy another Honda and recommend to friends and family.

Small ding in the driver side door, when hitting a concrete barrier, caused airbag to deploy and now is having severe roaring in my ear. This was 2 days ago. The airbag deployment caused more damage to me and the vehicle, so I think that we are over protected! Too much government intervention, I am 70 and my hearing was excellent before this, as my doctor said, I could hear a pin drop.

Not covered. 25,000 miles = loud clicking noise turning left. Honda did not cover this. I bought a new car Honda HR-V 2018 at Honda auto plaza mall (Nostrand avenue in Brooklyn). I dont know that is going on but this car has been giving me so much problem. This car stopped with me in the middle of road. Sometime the steering wheel just locked when I am driving and the dash just went black. I brought it to Honda but nothing got done cause it is still giving me the same problem. They want me to keep driving it like that cause they cannot figure out the issue. I left the car with them until they can fix it. If you love yourself and your family do not buy this car. I cannot keep risking my life and the life of my family driving that car. I could understand if I bought a used car but I bought a new car. Hope this review will help you in your decision. Please see video.

I purchase this vehicle in the Spring of 2007 at Honda of Midlands in Columbia SC with 56,000 miles... this was a certified used vehicle with 7 years or 120,000 miles warranty, I purchase the service warranty and religiously took it to the sister dealer in my city. About Mid Feb 2017 I took it for service and they need it to check my engine light as it was on. The tech check the pressure of my cylinders and found #2 to have coolant coming from the wall of the engine. Also, need to repair my seals and other miscellaneous items. Little that I know that the tech found a crack between the wall of the coolant and the engine block thus needing a new engine. Granted I have 158,000 miles on it and no longer has a warranty. Honda told me NO canNOT help me and the dealer ask me for $5,000 for a used re manufactured engine. This is not my first honda as I own also a Honda Civic EX with over 200,000 miles own it. The Service Manager told them that this was a rare occurrence maybe 1 in 10,000 which doesnt help me. I opted for them NOT to repair it and I picked up in pieces sitting in my garage waiting for a new engine. Im not happy nor I want to buy a new one anymore.

This email regards a horrible customer service experience I have had with Honda. I have had a problem with my 2017 Hatch - the center console randomly begins a series of beeps (beep-beep-beep) and throws my iPhone, especially the navigation system, off of the system. I have video recorded the problem happening and taken it to my dealer and another dealer on 4 occasions. They cannot replicate the problem.I called Honda USA to seek additional help. My case was given to a case manager - LUIS - who argued with me, made me cry on every phone conversation, even angered my even-tempered husband. I am seeking help with this problem and all I got was verbal abuse. When I asked to speak to a manager or another agent, I was told by LUIS that I could only speak with him. This one experience - this one experience alone - has decided me that Honda is not the company for me. You seem not to care about a problem that I am sure with time will end up in some sort of recall situation - I simply cant imagine that my car is the only one having this problem. If your customer service is so uncaring and apathetic, then I simply cant be a part of this company.

I am driving a HONDA MOBILIO Car in INDIA which was bought by me on 2015. On 16/11/2015 in Chennai we had heavy rain and we drove this car to court as an emergency case. But all of a sudden the car engine has stopped by itself without any reasons. Then we towed our car to the dealer in Chennai for an inspection. The service engineer told us that the rain water has entered in Engine. We all surprised to hear that. Is it possible? And we had a doubt that these HONDA cars are not suitable for rainy seasons. IF the water gets into an engine it is purely manufacturing defect. But the dealers is looking for an insurance person to change some spares. No one has intended to file a complaint in HONDA. We are not ready to accept this car by changing some spares. It will affect the home setting of the car. My question is this. Will HONDA replace our entire car if it a manufacturing defect? We have noticed that about ten cars are in dealers garage. We have discussed with HONDA dealer for the replacement. But no response from them. We wish HONDA manufacturer should intervene with dealer to replace the entire car. In other words HONDA should declare our cars are not suitable for rainy conditions. Such a surprise from the dealers. They are not ready to escalate this issue to manufacturer. They are looking for an insurance people to cover the cost. We need response from HONDA manufacturer to solve this issue.

Don’t even waste your breath with this. I got a flat tire on the highway and all they could do for me was tow my car to the nearest dealership. Couldn’t change the flat with my own spare either- just a tow. The lady helping me said I needed to give her an exact address- well I was traveling and I had no idea where I was. Also, after 30 minutes I called the towing company they dispatched and no one was even on their way yet... ended up calling non-emergency police and they came out in 10 minutes and changed my flat to my spare. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH HONDA.

My husband purchased a Honda CBR250R motorcycle on 4/4/2012 and faulty on 8/4/2012 while he went Taiping trip with his group of biker friends. The motorbikes certainly cant start after stop to have a drink in Taiping town. So far, we have been changing so many new bikes but this is the first time this kind of problem arose, which feels uneasy and yet needs to arrange towing service from Taiping back to Ipoh. In my mind, Honda should bear all the cost incurred including the towing service which make us feel unsatisfied of the product. I have been sending two complaints to Ban Hoe Seng webpage, but no reply from them. I feel disappointed and lack confidence to spread around confidently of Honda product. All my friends ask us about the incident.

This past week, my car, for the second time within a year, had to go back to the shop for maintenance and repairs due to water leaking into the gas tank. I bought this car (2012 Civic Sedan LX) on February 4, 2012. I only have a little over 5,000 miles on it because I mostly only use it to commute to work during the weekdays. One of the reasons I bought a Honda car instead of any other was because of its high standard and reputation. Ive heard that Honda cars dont break down easily and almost never give the owner any trouble. On September 2, 2012, I was in my car with my boyfriend and his friend to go get some lunch. After going about 5 blocks or so, he suddenly remembered that he forgot something at home, so I had to make a U-turn and go back home. On the way back, the car slowly puttered to a stop. Naturally, I thought it was because I was out of gas or something, but when I looked at the gas meter, it was more than half full. I started up the car again, and although the engine turned on, the car was shaking by itself ... until it again sputtered to a halt. I tried starting the engine a few more times but after a few more tries, it was futile. Luckily, at that time, there werent too many cars around and there was miraculously a parking space nearby, so the two guys managed to push the car safely into that spot. I called my insurance company (Geico) and they towed my car two days later and took it back to the dealer. After they inspected the car, they found that water had gotten into the gas tank. They suspected that it was from a bad gas station who pumped water along with their gas. Ive been going to the same place near my house ever since I bought this car, and nothing like this ever happened before. My family, friends and co-workers all blamed Honda for a manufacturer defect, but even though I felt bad about this case, I didnt blame Honda at all and, in fact, finished off paying off the car this past January 8th, 11 months after I bought the car, and much earlier than the initial 3-year plan I signed up for. The total cost for repairs came out to $1632.34, but even though Geico covered $1085.23 of it, I still had to pay $547.11 out of my own pocket for an accident I didnt even take part in.Then again, on January 14, I turned on the car to go to work, just like any other day, and the car shook in the familiar manner of last October, before it stopped. I got the car towed and taken back to the dealer. Surprise, surprise, they said that there was water in the gas tank. What Id like to know is how so much water could possibly get into the tank to make the car want to stop. I realized that the night before this happened, it rained a lot in my neighborhood, but surely, it couldnt have all gotten into my car. One of the repairmen suspected that someone poured water into the gas tank on purpose. Only I have the key to my car. Why would I want to do something as stupid as pouring water into my car, not once, but twice, and have to go through all this trouble and waste a ton of money? It also couldnt have been an outside job, because by the hole where you put the gas nozzle, theres no scratch mark or any visible proof that someone tried to break in to do something bad on purpose.Because of this, not only was I late to work, but so was my sister who works in the same office I do. She was with me in the car at that time and is still suffering from being scared due to the cars convulsions. In both cases, luckily, the car stopped near my house, or rather, in a vicinity without too many cars. God knows what could have happened if the car chose to stop on the highway. The technician who looked at my car was dumbfounded as to how something like this could happen, not once, but twice. I suspect that this second time was due to bad workmanship last time by someone who was working on my car and left a hole for water to drip and accumulate. There is no other explanation.I bought the newest model of this Honda car because I wanted the best of the best. If I didnt care too much about having to take care of my car breaking down every so often, I would have bought a used car at a much more affordable price. Because of these incidents, my insurance fee went up from $1,936.42 to $1,981.85, but more than that, now I have a phobia about driving, because I dont know when or where my car might stop. Its not even a year old and Ive kept it in good condition. There is no reason for this. The first time this happened in January, I had to take the bus from my home in Flushing back and forth to work (in the Bronx) every day for about two weeks since my car was in the shop getting repaired, and now it looks like I need to do that again. The top reason for buying the car in the first place was to help me commute to work, but if it cannot fulfill that purpose, its pretty much of no use to me. I dont wish to waste any more money paying for stuff like this.

My daughter has a 2009 Honda Accord with 85k miles on it. It goes through 3 quarts of oil between oil changes. We submitted a claim even tho the warranty was out by one week but not out on mileage. They told me to take it to a Honda dealer (Ray Price) to do an oil consumption test. Which consist of a oil change (I pay for) then bring it back in around 1000 miles, they check level then report to Honda USA. Heres the problem, I took it back. It lost 3/4 qt by the calibrated eye of the mechanic looking at the dip stick, he didnt drain and measure. Also they didnt use the same weight oil as in the owners manual. The real misconception here is it loses at the same rate. It doesnt between the first 1000 miles and the 2nd 1000 miles it loses faster!!! Sometime between oil changes Ill put in 4 quarts!! My rating reflexes my appearance so far, it may change when its all said and done. Banging my head in Bangor.

Well let me start by saying Honda has been my go-to for many years, 14 Honda automobiles, 10 Honda motorcycles, 6 pieces of Honda outdoor power equipment. I must say though the last 2006 Honda Civic that I purchased with 64K miles has bittered me after having to put a motor in this car for a problem that Honda knew they had but refused to stand behind it. After some minor research I have discovered Honda had a major engine block casting problem between 2006-2009 in the civics. I think a recall would have been a better choice for Honda owners rather than a lousy extended warranty period. Honda informed me that I was just out of luck, after all the car does have 64K miles. How much more were you expecting? It was very misfortunate for me as I bought the car privately. What was even sadder is that I am really convinced that the people who sold me this car knew there was a problem, they possibly received the same great customer service from Honda that I did. VERY POOR HONDA MOTOR COMPANY. THE SAYING GOES ONE UPSET CUSTOMER GOES FURTHER THAN ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER!

I was not a Honda person until I started researching them and found that everyone who had one had none to rarely any problems with them. In addition to their reliability, their fuel economy is very good and they hold their value if maintained and taken care of. There are vehicles that are more comfortable but if they are sitting in a repair shop draining your bank account and are unreliable as transportation offsets the difference in comfort. I have owned many new vehicles and the most expensive one (a Cadillac STS) is the worst ever for reliability and our Honda CRV has been the best with ZERO problems ever.

I am a very frustrated owner of Honda Accord 2.0 VTi-L, Full Spec, VTEC with plate no **, registered in Penang, Malaysia. Ive been maintaining my vehicle in your service center namely KAH Motor located in Sungai Pinang, Penang, Malaysia. Six months back, I had complained about sounds from the bottom of my car bonnet. The service engineer helped to check, but could not find the root cause of the sound. Id sent my car for checking for 3 times during the past 6 months, no results. Finally, a month back they told me they found the cause. But, the spare parts need to be ordered from others. They said theyd filed a complaint to Honda HQ and the warranty claim has been approved, spare part should be arriving within 1st week of Apr.12. Sadly, they did not update me even after 15/4/12. When I called up, they said the spare part had not arrived and they do not know when it is arriving. What an irresponsible answer?! They didnt even bother to highlight my problem to their top management and get my case solved. After all, Ive been waiting for 6 months to confirm the root cause of the sounds. And now, another infinity date to wait for the repairs?! This is totally unacceptable! I am a heavy user of this vehicle and I need to be safe on the road. I need this to be resolved.

My 2008 Honda Civic LX have a 10 years Rust Proof warranty. I brought it back every year for rust inspection and touch up, now I found out they never did a single thing to touch up. As when I took my car to Canadian Tire to change 4 new tires, when they finished, they said I should take some pictures and show it to Honda. The underside of the car is all rust, he said when you touch it, it is bone dry, they never put anything or do any touch up. I called the manager of Honda, he said unless there is a hole, they do not do anything, so I said, it said touch up as necessary, so what the heck? Then he said when I bring in the car for transmission fluid change next week, he will look at it with me together. I took 6 pictures of all the rust underside. So disappointed with them, if they are not doing any touch up, what do they mean by 10 years rust proof warranty. It is just a complete ripoff.
