We love this car (Honda HRV 2016) but this is the first model of the HRV and it rattles considerably on the doors as well as the driver odometer panel. We have taken it in to be serviced twice but no one can seem to fix it. I also think it’s a little noisy and the windows seem loose when they are lower than a quarter of an inch down. But we are planning to lease a new one which we have test driven. I think those bugs have been worked out. It’s a perfect car for a small family like ours!

This email regards a horrible customer service experience I have had with Honda. I have had a problem with my 2017 Hatch - the center console randomly begins a series of beeps (beep-beep-beep) and throws my iPhone, especially the navigation system, off of the system. I have video recorded the problem happening and taken it to my dealer and another dealer on 4 occasions. They cannot replicate the problem.I called Honda USA to seek additional help. My case was given to a case manager - LUIS - who argued with me, made me cry on every phone conversation, even angered my even-tempered husband. I am seeking help with this problem and all I got was verbal abuse. When I asked to speak to a manager or another agent, I was told by LUIS that I could only speak with him. This one experience - this one experience alone - has decided me that Honda is not the company for me. You seem not to care about a problem that I am sure with time will end up in some sort of recall situation - I simply cant imagine that my car is the only one having this problem. If your customer service is so uncaring and apathetic, then I simply cant be a part of this company.

I purchased a used car from Hendricks Honda Pompano beginning August 2018. I was looking for a used car, and I found a 2017 Infiniti QX60 that I liked. Jose (Jose **) in sales helped me, I went, I tried the car, and after some negotiation, we agree on the purchase. When in the negotiation process, I asked Jose several times if the car came with 2 set of keys for it and he said that yes the vehicle had two keys. The day I went to pick up the car, after asking for the keys Jose mentioned that the second key was in a locked place and he didnt have the key for that place so we will send me the second key on the mail. After requesting the key several times, finally Jose sent me a key in the mail, and when I tried it, it didnt work. I called Jose and mentioned what happened, and he promised to help me solve the problem. After several calls and texts, I have copies, that never happened. By the end of October, the car run out of battery and I needed a jump start, so I tried to open my SUV with the key with the physical key on the fob, and to my surprise, it didnt work. So the fob did work, but the physical key didnt. Of course, the second key sent by email neither. I called the dealership for some help, knowing that Jose will not help me since he never did. I was helped by Dmitry (Dmitry **), after recommending to change the batteries on the fob which I did, but didnt work, I explained that I didnt have access to my car, to open the hood for the jump start. Finally, he stated that I had to bring the car to the dealership to make the keys, and I reply to, HOW? If I cant access the inside of the car how can I take the car to the dealership? His answer: TOW IT! After a long conversation he hung up on me, and when I called him back he didnt answer my calls anymore, thats what I call customer service!!! Needing to work and desperate, I tried to call the General Manager or CEO of the company and left several messages, and he never answered back. I also called several times Jose my salesperson with the same luck. This happened on Friday, by Monday, and losing all those days of work, I called everybody again, and they transferred me to Manny (Emanuel **). Ohhh Myyyy, what an ignorant individual, impersonating a manager. After talking for more than 30 minutes, he never understood what the situation was, so I asked him for another manager, not knowing he was not, since he presented himself as a manager and not a sales associate. The phone call went to another voice message.Desperate at this point not knowing what to do, I talked again to the receptionist, Ariana and I beg her to transfer me with someone that would care. She was extremely professional and helpful, honestly trying to help me and she did since she transferred me to Richard (Richard **). This guy in less than 30 seconds understood and asked me to wait for a locksmith at my location. I wonder why Dmitry didnt offer this four days ago, but I was glad that someone at least was trying to help me.To make it short the locksmith came to my place, to make the physical key, I had no idea that with no original they can do that, he opened the car, then the hood and he jumpstarted the car, everything in less than 15 minutes. I was ecstatic, I was going to be able to work again, and I began to wonder why Dmitry asked me to tow the car to the dealership to make the keys when that was NOT necessary AT ALL! I showed the second key to the Locksmith that Jose sent by mail, and the stated that that key was never for my car, once paired it can not be changed, not the fob or the physical key and if I wanted another one I had to order one from scratch. To summarize Im not surprised Dmitry, Jose and Manny, still work in that company if we have in mind they have as General Manager, Mark **, who is a stranger to the concept of customer service. I still have to make the extra key that was promised at the purchase of the car more than four months ago. But at least Im happy I can use my car. Hope someone in Honda will address this issues since this is NOT the way to handle any situation or customer.

I have called Honda customer service numerous times with regards to my airbag light permanently remaining on. I have verified with several mechanics, that apparently, this is a faulty seatbelt buckle that needs to be replaced. When I mentioned this to Honda, they advised me that they may be able to assist with something. They wont mention what that something is, and on the condition that I take my vehicle to a Honda dealership for confirmation. While I can appreciate the fact that Honda has to verify this, I dont believe I should have to pay over $100 just for a technician to verify what they already know to be an issue. This should actually be recalled by Honda. I have 3 colleagues that all own Hondas and we all have the same problem. When you contact Honda, asking if this is part of a recall, they deny it. What will it take for Honda to take ownership and replace these faulty buckles? Does someone need to die?

I am currently driving Honda Jazz model year 2009. Two years ago and on its first year, driving was okay until I found that they seem to be having a transmission problem. I have sent my car and reported the problem that I am facing. Honda Sri Utama advised me to change my engine oil and all four new tire, which doesnt make sense at all. After spending a lot of money to do so, I am still facing the same problem with the transmission. I went back and reported but they require me to meet the engineer from Honda Malaysia. He couldnt solve my problem but claims that theres nothing wrong with the transmission. Ive checked with several street workshop and there is a problem with the transmission which Honda is denying. I went back to Honda and the dealer I bought the car from, finally said that they do not know what is the problem. This is cheating. We spent a lot of time and money to buy a vehicle and all we get is be cheated and not a satisfaction.

Today I called and talked to American Honda. Ill start off with saying the worst customer service ever. They dont even offer to help you. They just apologize 10,000 times and then want to go about their way. My car isnt covered under the warranty for paint. For reasons I dont even understand. I have an 09 Civic. The paint is starting to deteriorate. It looks like someone literally took a scrub brush to my car and is in the beginning stages of my paint chalking. This is a 7-year-old car. Ive seen cars that are 15 years old that have better paint jobs than mine and they have been untouched. The only okay thing about my Honda is that it hasnt broken down on the side of the road yet. American Honda is the biggest joke of a company and so unwilling to help people. The issue needs to be pushed. My car is Crystal Black Pearl. I know its one of the color codes accepted for the repaint but my VIN isnt under the warranty nor did I get a letter. (I am not the original owner of this car.) Im more than displeased. They look cheaper and cheaper every year.

I am writing this to express my disappointment in a recent encounter with Honda Canada. My family has been dedicated to the Honda brand for over 30 years. My grandparents have purchased Honda their entire lives and their love for the brand was passed on to my parents, and now, my sister and me. When I was 23 years old, my father gifted me his 2001 Honda Accord, which has almost 400,000 km on it and is still going strong. Unfortunately, I was forced to sell my beloved accord when I moved across the country (with 400,000 km on it, I felt uneasy about driving the vehicle cross-country). When I returned to Nova Scotia, I once again demonstrated my loyalty to Honda and purchased a 2006 Civic. In late 2016, I received a recall notice for the passenger side airbag. I was familiar with this recall because I had received the same notice for my accord, which I immediately had fixed at a Honda dealership in Alberta.About two weeks ago, I was driving to work at 5:00am when my car overheated and began smoking. I was forced to pull over on the side of the highway and wait for CAA. That is not the issue, as I understand that it is normal for older vehicles to run into problems. I had the vehicle towed to a local repair shop, where they confirmed that there was a crack in my engine block. Unbeknownst to me, the issue was a nationwide recall. Although I had received the recall notice for the airbag, I was never made aware of the engine block recall. I found out about the recall at 5:30am, on the side of the highway, from my tow truck driver. Due to the recall ending on December 31, 2016, Honda was not willing to replace the engine block free of charge. My family and I reached out to Honda Canada to express the fact that we were never made aware of the recall. Had I known there was a recall, I would have gotten my vehicle fixed immediately. As a now 26-year-old woman, I work very hard to pay for school, insurance, rent and much more. The fact that my car is no longer functioning is truly devastating. After expressing our concerns to Honda, we were told that a representative would get back to us within a week and let us know if there was anything Honda would do for us since we had not been made aware of the recall. Almost two weeks later, Honda Canada got back to us stating that they would pay for the engine block, however I would need to pay $1,500 for labour. Not only is this unaffordable for a full-time student, but it is disappointing that an error made on Hondas behalf would cause me to pay $1,500.I am now without a car and refuse to pay $1,500 in labour to a company that does not stand behind their product. It is truly sad that Honda is losing a family of committed buyers (for over 30 years), due to this incident. I am now looking for a new vehicle, but want to make it very clear that my family and I will not be purchasing another Honda in the future. I hope that $1,500 is worth the loss of a truly committed family of (former) Honda lovers.

Bronx Honda refused to perform services due to a poor evaluation - Two years ago, I had some service work done and I was not happy so I gave Bronx Honda a poor evaluation. Yesterday, I went in for services and the service manager refused to service my vehicle because of my evaluation. I dont understand why we are asked for a survey of the dealers performance and then if the dealer is not happy with our suggestion, they can refuse services. Why own a Honda if the local dealer is not going to service your vehicle? I was also told that recall work cannot be refused, but they did refuse to perform my recall work. They also made me order and pay for the part, then refused services.

I have had over a dozen issues (with most still outstanding) with my 2016 Honda Civic and Honda Canada has been using gibberish excuses to stop repairing my vehicle under my valid warranty. Be careful of excuses like Cannot Replicate as this is their first attempt to avoid the costly repairs associated with your vehicle. Honda Canada representatives have assured me that no photos, videos or witnesses means nothing to them, thus ignoring your concerns and complaints going forward. There is nothing you can do because they have already taken your money. Even if they lose you as a future customer, they know it is still cheaper for them than to have fixed your car under your valid warranty. If you do duplicate the issue to only a Honda Service Manager, then they will use another corrupted tactic and deem the issue as Its just the normal characteristics of the vehicle and now your vehicle is fixed and they will no longer deal with that issue, even if you threaten to take legal action. They just dont care. Their tactic includes losing customers as long as they DONT pay for your repairs. They are convinced that they can bite the hands that feeds them and still get fat. If that isnt arrogance then I dont know what is.Unfortunately theres nothing you can do but spend thousands of dollars for a lawyer to take them court, and knowing that the customer cannot usually afford it and just gives up, theyre content to have saved the shareholders the costs of your repair. But you can do something about it. Share this warning with family and friends and tell them to do due diligence before buying a Honda product. ***BUYER BEWARE; YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED***

I would highly advise against ever purchasing a Honda vehicle as they have very sketchy lease turn in practices. My husband (a former Honda technician) and I turned in our 2 vehicles with the intent of purchasing 2 new Hondas, however they did not have any good deals going on so we chose to go with another brand. A month after turning our vehicles in we received a letter stating we owe close to 400 dollars for what I would consider to be normal wear and tear on my husbands vehicle (one small dent on one of the doors, a small tear in the floor under the accelerator and a small crack in the windshield which had just been replaced a few month prior, and had they told us this we could have gotten it fixed free through our insurance.) Our person who sold us our new vehicles told us they are pissed because we didnt purchase Hondas again, oh well we would have if they were more willing to make a deal!Apparently on their website somewhere it says in fine print that before turning your vehicle in you can have your own inspection done. Who in their right mind would think to go looking for something like this, or even think that they would need to do this. Our vehicles sat on the lot where they were turned in for 11 days before they were inspected by someone from Honda, we did not turn them in with a crack in the windshield and dent in the door so this obviously happened while in their possession.Following a few letters from an attorney on our behalf acknowledging that we are willing to pay to replace the carpet (even though I feel it is normal wear and tear) but we feel the other things are not our responsibility, Honda sent the matter to a collection agency without even trying to remedy the situation. Honda did not even reach out to discuss this matter with us, they just dismissed it completely showing they dont really care about their customers being happy. Had this have been resolved in a better manner, in 3 years when our leases are up if they had good deals going on we would have gone back to Honda, however now we will NEVER purchase a Honda vehicle again. I will also advise anyone we know who is thinking about purchasing a Honda vehicle not to for the rest of my life!

I got Honda Jazz on April last year. I had trouble within two months, no rear brakes. The dealership kept lying and saying nothing was wrong. Four times I went back with no help. Every time I put the handbrake on incline, nothing happens. I told them about this. I took the car to another garage for MOT, it failed on rear brakes. I went to the dealer and showed them the report. They refused to do anything. I paid for repairs myself, returned to the dealer with the bill and asked to see the owner. The staff member refused to get him and was rather intimidating and aggressive. The repairs showed the rear calipers were not working, only one pad was contacting with the disc, so I was driving a dangerous car. I would like something done before I take matters further. I think it is disgusting the way I have been treated. Trading standards said I would have had case if I had gone to them sooner.

On Jan 2, 2012, I went to Valley Honda in Monroeville to purchase windshield wipers. When I went to pay for the repairs, I discovered that I did not have my wallet. I went out to my car to look for it because I thought maybe I left it inside. After discovering it was not there, I called my brothers office because I had just left his business, to see if I had left it there. He called me back and informed me that it was not there. The service person took me to a customer service agent named Anita ** to see if she would approve me going home to get the money and then return to pay my bill. She stated that she could not approve my request and it must be done by someone else. The service agent left to find a manager. Ms. Anita stated to me that this type of request is never approved. I replied to her that they would have to do something because I did not have any money on me. In response, she stated to me, Well, you knew that you did not have any money when you came in here. I was shocked at her statement. I reminded her that I lost my wallet and was quite distraught about that and asked her how she could make a statement like that to me. Without even looking at me, she replied with the most nonchalant and cold response, “Well, I apologize. I guess I was out of line. I was so upset that I only responded by saying to her, “You certainly were out of line.” I am 67 years old and have never experienced this type of careless response from someone. I called Mr. Jim ** twice to speak with him regarding this incident, but was unable to do so. My brother who is also a car dealer called to speak to Mr. Jim ** and also left messages for him to call. For the last two days I have been on the phone with Honda Customer Service trying to get a loaner vehicle until the replacement airbags involved with the recall come in. I was just told it could be a week or more before Honda made a decision to approve a loaner vehicle for my wife and I. Their advice was to have my wife ride in the back seat for a couple of months till the new airbags were available (unbelievable)!!! This is a very serious issue as the airbag could explode, even without any vehicle impact, and send metal fragments flying into the passenger compartment. Very disappointed with the lack of concern expressed by Honda and their disregard for the safety of their customers.

I own a 2010 Honda Accord coupe EX. This is now the second time the rear driver side quarter panel has cracked. Both times the quarter panel has cracked, it has started out about an inch and then grew to four or five inches. Same spot both times. The first instance the entire quarter panel was replaced by a Honda dealer. Im now waiting on my insurance company to determine if this was a defect in the repair. I think Honda needs to take ownership as this has to be a common problem with these model Accords. I clearly feels that this service center done something wrong with my car because as per my research I know that Honda Civic 2016 Ex-T model have synthetic oil and that have normally life of 7500 miles. In my car already 40% oil life is finished so I will get oil change soon around at 31,500-32,000 miles (from now after 1500 to 2000 miles). Every time I go to this service center and they are only the people changing oil in my car when this time I went there that customer service representative asked me that, Why are you just coming here for oil change and and why tire rotation and other services you are not giving us to do it here. I told them because they are charging too much money and not doing proper services so then customer service representative told me that, then why do you came here for oil change, go to the another service center who ever is giving you cheaper service, and that time I didnt give him any answer but I feel that this is not the right way to talk with the Honda customer. I am using Honda car because I have trust on the company. I strongly feels they did something wrong with my cars oil that why 40% of oil life finished too much early and previously I never seen that my oil life reduce this much faster. I am using my car daily. I have another same model car that is also 2016 Honda civic Ex turbo model and same silver color but that car I bought from another dealer and in that car also I drive same mileage and still in that car I change my cars oil around at 6000+ miles every time. I have trust on Honda that why I am using two same model of cars because I am driving it everyday. So I want refund for this oil change and also I want proper service for my car. I clearly feels that Metro Honda from where I bought my car and there I am going every time for oil change they did something wrong. Also, one more thing I would like to describe here that is before around 10 months ago at this service center they found that in one of my cars back side tire due to manufacturing fault there was something wrong with the brake and that they found after 2 years and 3 months after I drive my car for 24000 miles around. This is the thing which is risky for someones life. So you can imagine how much great services they are providing to the Honda customers.I want you to know that this is not a good business practice where they didnt behave good with the Honda customer and not giving them proper service. Please take some strict action on this and I want a clear justice for my car. Please fix my cars oil life problem. I hope I will get back very soon from the Honda Company and please solve the issue in my car with the oil life. -Harsh

I bought my Civic Sedan LX 2012 on February 4, 2012 from the Honda dealer at Manhasset. I only have a little over 5,000 miles on it because I mostly only use it to commute to work during the weekdays. One of the reasons I bought a Honda car instead of any other was because of its high standard and reputation for making great motor vehicles that don’t break down easily. This past week, my car, for the second time within a year, had to go back to the shop for maintenance and repairs due to water leaking into the gas tank. The first time this happened was back on September 2, 2012.I had the car taken to Hillside Honda to be inspected. When they looked into it, they found that water had gotten into the gas tank. Ive been going to the same gas station near my house ever since I bought this car, and nothing like this ever happened before either to me or anyone who goes there. My family, friends and co-workers all blamed Honda for a manufacture defect. But even though I felt bad about this case, I didnt blame Honda at all and in fact, finished off paying off for the car this past January 8th - 11 months after I bought the car and much earlier than the initial 3 year plan I signed up for. Then now, only a few months later, the same thing happened.I can only deduce that either I believe there was a mechanical deficiency, to begin with, in the car when I originally bought it, or when I had the car fixed and the people at Hillside Honda said that they put all new parts; they put the same ones back because the exact same thing happened. It’s a brand new model and I demand something be done about this because now I have a phobia about driving this car, and because I don’t know when or where my car might stop. Safety should be a priority on any vehicle. Luckily both times, I was near my house when this happened; God knows what could have happened if the car chose to stop on the highway. If something like this happened 5 years after I bought the car, I would surely take responsibility for it; but how can something like this happen twice within the first year? This is unacceptable and totally unfair for me to have to take responsibility for. Not only do I want Honda to recall this vehicle and pay for the costs in having to repairing this vehicle for breaking down both last time and this time, but I would also like a refund for the car itself. If I didnt care much about having to constantly care for my car, I would have bought a used model and at a significantly lower price. I trusted Honda’s integrity even after last September’s incident, which made me pay off the rest of the car without any further doubts; but now, I know I made a mistake in thinking so.

I just leased a 2016 Honda Civic LX (Cosmic Metallic Blue) in November of 2016. I did not realize what a bad paint job this car had until the first snowfall. Fast forward to around January when the first snow fell in NYC, I drove to the nearest Walgreens to purchase a couple of things and the bright lights of the parking lot exposed at least 20-30 scratches ALL over the hood. Then with the next snowfall, more scratches on the roof of the car, the trunk and the side doors! This has NEVER happened to any of the cars Id previously owned, both new and pre-owned. Before this Civic, I had a 2013 Honda Accord that did not have this problem AT ALL throughout the duration of my lease. I REALLY wanted to like this Civic because of its new look but now with the amount of scratches on the car, it doesnt even look like I bought it 0 miles off the lot. I went back to the dealership (Millennium Honda in Hempstead, NY) to see if they could do anything for me, but of course, they refused any service, not taking blame for this botched paint job. All they offered was something to benefit them which is to trade in this 2016 Civic for another 2017 Civic with $4,000 up front. WHY would I do that when the paint job is just bad and NOT my fault at all. I really dont know what else to do with this car and would appreciate if Honda took responsibility for this failed paint job. I took it to a shop and the guy said that the paint on my car was SUPER THIN and thats why it came off so easily. Im pretty sure I got a car with a defective paint job. All Im asking is for Honda to step up and take responsibility for it, and theyll have a life-long customer; if not, the next car I finance or lease will NOT be with Honda.

Sales department uses delay tactics to go through the process of purchasing a vehicle. Finance department tries to fiddle with numbers and charge for items that are optional...which they dont tell you until the very end, (e.g. 300 insurance fee, which is really an optional documentation fee). Service department confirms issues but does nothing about them. They lie about what was done or not done and use subjective tests to say that nothing is wrong even though a documented 3rd party assessment indicates otherwise. Do not recommend purchasing or servicing a vehicle from Richmond Honda in BC.

My Honda car had a problem with Motor Assembly. I checked the company website, and placed an order underlying the companys suggestion. After more than one-month waiting, I received the product, but found it was not the right part and could not be used. I immediately asked to return and the product was not trying to install and in the same shipping box. But the company replied me Nothings wrong with our company; Honda has the right to say what they will and will not accept as a return. And motors and electrical items cannot be returned, whether or not theyre opened. We do make this clear on our Return Policies. I strongly recommend avoiding this type of company when you place an order online!

Honda had a recall on their power steering hose because these leaked. Mine actually developed a leak so bad that the fluid leaked onto the exhaust and created so much smoke that my wife thought the car was on fire (she was driving it alone). She did make it home and I let it cool down and checked the situation. All of the fluid had leaked out and after refilling it, the power steering pump made a terrible noise. We got Honda to replace the hose under the recall but they refused to replace the pump because they said that after the 36,000-mile warranty... too bad basically. They seemed to agree that the faulty hose caused the fluid to all leak out which in turn ruined the pump but refused to cover it. We were thinking of buying a new Accord until this. If they admit to making a crappy part, they should cover everything that is damaged by that part.

June 2015 the paint on my 2007 Honda Civic started corroding. The extended warranty due to problems was 7 1/2 years. I missed it by 6 months. They would only split 50/50 for the sections showing corrosion. Their price for 4 sections was the same as Maaco for whole car, new bumper and dents fixed. Costing me $1575 to paint a car with 80,000 miles.

Beyond dissatisfied with horrible paint quality and worse customer service
Beyond dissatisfied with horrible paint quality and worse customer service from Honda USA. I am awaiting a reply from consumer affairs with regards to my wifes 2014 Honda Accord, purchased new from Jim Coleman Honda in Clarksville, Maryland. My wife purchased the vehicle, along with an extended paint protection warranty (to protect the paint finish against premature wear, rust, staining, etc.), which covers the vehicle for 7 years from the date of purchase. In the past 6 months, we have taken note that the factory paint finish has begun to shrink and peel back from the rear window glass along the surrounding body panels. We notified the dealership, and they advised that there is a known factory defect with vehicles finished in Pearl White (my wifes paint color) and dark metallic blue, where this pattern has been observed. There are countless accounts of this paint defect online. Some representative web posts are linked below; There are many more... https://www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/Accord/2014/body_paint/inferior_paint_and_clear_coat.shtml https://www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/Accord/2014/body_paint/paint_peeling.shtml https://www.autobody-review.com/blog/what-is-happening-to-my-honda-paint-problems https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/paint-peeling-away-pics-included.544831/?fbclid=IwAR0rabgCs3mFj6yijicnLY4m2v_v00HGgNbyD2Fu898TA-kGuy_QDaT3qo0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE3HLhHYh0wThere is even an entire Facebook group dedicated to raising awareness and seeking remediation to this obvious manufacturers defect: https://www.facebook.com/groups/389497225179056/. The dealer advised that they believed this to be a factory defect, and not a warranty issue and reached out to Honda, USA on our behalf. We were advised that resolution was reached with Honda, USA and they agreed to pay on a 90/10 basis (90% of the repair costs would be paid by Honda; we would be responsible for 10%) and we were asked to bring the vehicle in to a Honda Certified Repair Facility (Chandlers Collision Center in Columbia, MD).We brought the vehicle in to the recommended shop, and while we were able to obtain a repair estimate, the shop adjuster began scraping at the paint (causing further damage) which left an extremely unpleasant feeling about the shop. When we asked to see samples of paint work they had completed, the adjuster showed me 2 vehicles on the lot -- each one worse than the previous in terms of color match, paint texture and body work quality. Further, we were advised that Honda would not stand behind this shops work, despite telling us that this was their shop of preference, deferring any quality issues with the repair to the repair facility policies. We advised Jim Coleman Honda of our desire to have the repair performed at another facility that we had located (also Honda Certified): Subway Auto Body in Gambrills, MD. We had the opportunity to meet with this shop manager/owner who was very understanding of the nature of the repairs needed, the process needed to repair correctly and warrantied workmanship integrity. We asked about having the repair performed at this facility instead, and were advised that Jim Coleman would look into this with Honda and get back to us.Weeks went by without any feedback despite numerous calls to both Honda and Jim Coleman, and finally I escalated the issue with Honda, USA. I received a call-back from Honda advising that we took too long to schedule the repair, and therefore they were no longer accepting responsibility. The Honda representative would not allow me to get a word in edgewise, despite pleading with them that the reason the repair was not scheduled was due to a lack of response in how to proceed on their end. They refused to listen, vulgarities were exchanged, and they refuse to address this matter. Subsequent calls into Honda, and we are seemingly black-listed from speaking with a representative.Bottom line, we have email traffic assuring us that the repair would be covered at a 90/10 split, numerous inquiries on how to proceed that went unanswered, and now we are left with a nearly $2,500 repair bill for a factory defect. The shop owner at Subway has also attempted to reach out to Honda on our behalf and they wont even return a phone call -- mind you this shop pays annual fees to remain an accredited Honda Repair facility, so this says a great deal for Honda, USA in general. Since the time when we first notified Honda of the issue, the damage has spread to the full surround of the rear glass and is continually growing larger. It is despicable that Honda refuses to accept responsibility and worse that their lack of customer service follow through has only delayed remediation.

My 2004 Honda Civic EX Sedan was a great car all in all until just a few days ago when I was sitting at a stop light at almost rush hour in a busy metro area with my foot on the break. Suddenly the car went into an uncontrolled, unintended acceleration. I could hear the engine rev and I just froze with horror. A few seconds later it crashed into the car in front of me and stopped and turned off. I was extremely lucky that 1) that car was there or I would have gone into a busy intersection and 2) my daughter was not in the car. The driver I crashed into and the valet guys from the hotel across the street saw I was extremely shaken up but alert and in my right mind. The mechanics can fix the damage caused by the impact but since this is such a rare problem, they probably wont be able to identify what went wrong or prevent it from happening again so Ill have to trash the car. Given that several people had to die for Toyota to take any responsibility for their problems with unintended acceleration and that there have been several complaints to Honda of cars with this problem with no recompense, I am extremely unhappy to hear the existing complaints have not led to a recall or that almost certainly my complaint will be completely ignored.

I bet the weight of the bike must be more than even Harley-Davidson Roadster 1200.One con of this bike is that you might find it somewhat tough to change the direction while you are in a hurry. I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Touring trim (nearly $40K car). Have had 7 different failures so far (defective paint, electronics failures, parts falling off car door seals, wheel well lining, etc). Hondas answer is to keep taking the vehicle in for service. Its only 3 months old with 6500 miles, and its constantly breaking. In spite of the obvious fact that I have a lemon/dud, Honda will NOT replace the vehicle. My dealers answer outside of keep bringing it in for service was for me to sell my car back to them at a loss, and theyd work me a deal on a new car.GARBAGE quality from Honda. Even worse they dont want to stand behind their product. Ive been working with Leo at Hondas customer care, and he said theres nobody I can escalate to, but hed discuss this internally with the distributor (?) who generally does not talk to the customer. At this point I am in the process of yet more repairs, but a new car experience should NEVER be like this.Ive owned Honda cars my whole life, and have had an 83, 87, 2000, 2005 Accord, as well as a 2005 and a 2006 Odyssey. My 2005 Accord was a nightmare, but that was due to a 3rd party, aftermarket hack job from the dealer, so I cannot state that was a Honda issue. Now I have a 2018 Accord, and outside of some miracle response from Honda to make this right, it will be my last Honda EVER!! To be specific, heres a list of my issues so far in my first 3 months/6500 miles on the car: 1. Paint defect on side of car in front of passenger door 2. Paint defect on roof of car3. Failed backup camera/console unit 4. Weather stripping literally falling off passengers back door 5. Wheel well came loose and is resting on the tire while driving (part is in back order) 6. Bottom weather stripping loose, and sticking outside of rear passengers door7. Intermittent charging working/not working on wireless cell phone charging pad (iPhone X)NOTE: When the dealer looked into the paint on the roof, they first wanted me to file a claim with Cameron (additional paint protection/warranty product I bought), and there was a small elbow sized dent in the corner of the roof after they looked at it which I had to speak with the service manager about to get fixed. They did fix it, but didnt initially want to take ownership of it. Seriously, Honda? Ive Never spent so much money to only live to regret the purchase and get such a careless response from the manufacture of such a clear quality issue with YOUR product. If you are thinking of buying a Honda, buyer beware, and know that Honda will do nothing more than keep sending you in for repairs time and time again. I fear Im reaching the point that the lawyers will have to battle this one out.

We have a 2010 Honda Odyssey with less than 60,000 miles on it. For the first few years, we had our servicing on the vehicle done at the local Honda dealer. After a few years spending several hours at each visit, we were told by multiple people in our small town about a local mechanic in town who is honest and fair. We switched to this mechanic to support local businesses and it is much more convenient and way less expensive. At our last check up for the car, the mechanic found a leak in the steering rack. It is quite a pricey item to fix and the mechanic stated that a car with our age/mileage should not be experiencing this issue and suggested we call Honda to see if they would do right by us. We promptly called Honda and were instructed to contact our local Honda dealer, have the car inspected and call them back. Apparently, there is a warranty extension on the steering pump (not the steering rack). When we called the dealer, we were informed that they would charge $134 to inspect the vehicle and if it was the steering pump, we would get our money back. Otherwise, it is $134 out of our pocket. As we attempted to make an appointment, the gentleman we spoke with took no information, didnt give us a time and actually laughed (this was from Joyce Honda in Denville, NJ). We called Honda customer service back and asked to have the $134 waived as we were certain that the problem was with the rack, not the pump, and since we are looking at a costly repair, we arent willing to waste an additional $134. We were told that all dealers are independently owned and the fee cant be waived. We were also told that they cant help us without having one of their independently owned dealers see the car. They also instructed us that after paying the $134, our case would go to a group who would look at our loyalty to Honda; how often we used their dealers to service our cars and how often we have bought a Honda. Our issue is this; clearly there is a faulty part here and yet Honda is not willing to fix the issue easily. We arent willing to front any cost here especially since we arent confident we are loyal customers since we have our servicing done elsewhere. This is our second and we have to say LAST Honda that we will ever own. Our local mechanic will get our business and we are confident he will fix the problem and all will be well, however, we should not have to cover the cost of a faulty part. Very wrong.

I bought a 2017 CRV EX. We installed our car seat in the middle back row of the car. The car seat belt buckle and passenger belt buckle were switched, making it unsafe and difficult for the passenger to put on their seat belt. This is already a hassle, to add to that, the dealer also charges $22/day for a loaner car. I feel like I am being hassled for a big mistake that Honda has made. This just doesnt feel right. In April 2011, at 120k, I placed my first transmission in my 2004 Honda Accord. The cost is $2345.00. 16 months later, the transmission failed. I placed a used transmission and the cost is $909.00. The cost is $676.00 for a salvage shop in Pittsburgh, PA to put the transmission in the car. It’s a used transmission. It’s no good. It’s not shifting gears and has no reverse. It’s still under warranty; another tranny was ordered for an additional $150.00. New labor cost for installing price quoted was $480. If there are no problems, the total cost so far is $4,410.00. Can’t use phone charger. Can’t use Bluetooth. Nothing but a blinking H for who knows how long. I feel like I have not a full car. Finally ready to go on road trip and the things I bought for safer trips and doesn’t work. Bought the touring for all the infotainment and now have nothing. Paid for infotainment and now have nothing with no end in sight. Would not buy again because of this. Would sell now but wouldn’t get moneys worth because of it. 2019 HRV not worth it if you want a working radio or car charger or map.

In April 2012, I took my Honda Odyssey to be repaired at Lute Riley Honda in Richardson, Texas. I told them to do a multi-point inspection to find out what was wrong with my transmission and brakes. Upon completing the inspection I was told by Joseph, a mechanic there, that all he found was that the transmission switch needed to be replaced; the gasket, gear oil, pressure plate, and clutch needed to be replaced, as well as the cat converter. I agreed and also purchased a warranty for my transmission. My subtotal was over $6000. After all the repairs, I received my car back seven days later, thinking that everything he stated would be replaced. Earlier this year, the clutch stopped functioning. I took my minivan to the dealership for them to honor the warranty. I was told that the warranty did not cover clutch repairs. Basically, I was lied to. I am still trying to seek justice and get them to honor their word. I highly recommend that no one use Lute Riley for any repairs. They do not have the integrity to be in business and should not be trusted. Next time, I will buy a Toyota.

Last month, I cant remember the exact date, something has happen to my car. My son, 7 years of age, named, Muhammad Afdhal **, while playing with center rears seat belt has accidentally squeezed his stomach. My husband had tried to loosen the seat belt but unfortunately it further tightened his stomach. The situation at the time was so tensed because I can see my son facing difficulties in breathing. Two peoples around who were trying to help my husband said that we have no choice but to cut the seat belt. Without further delay, my husband ran to the nearest petrol station for cutter. Luckily, he managed to get it and straight away cut the belt. My husband managed to rescue my son but it became a nightmare for me because your service center had informed me that Honda is not liable to replace the belt. In other words, I have to pay by myself.

When I was younger, I always dreamed of getting a Honda. I loved these cars. So as soon as I was able to get one, I did. So sorry I did. I have fixed my car radio a couple of times and it cost about $400. It’s not cheap with raising 4 kids! I googled it and it seems to be an ongoing problem. I called 1-800-999-1009 and no one wanted to help me. So, I told them about the radio draining my battery and dying, leaving me and my kids stranded on the side of the road and no one seemed to care. Obviously, this is not the first they have heard of this problem because it’s all over the net. This is my first and last Honda. I was trying to convince my boyfriend to get one. Now, I am convincing him not to. Now in the midst of me having temporary home due to hurricane Sandy and just lost my job, I have a car that continues to die in the freezing cold. I will never get another Honda. I will let my friends and family know of this issue and also tell them if you have a problem, Honda will not help so it’s better to go with a Nissan or Toyota. My mom has been buying Nissan for about 20 years and they have really good customer service. Boo to you Honda.

I purchased a used/leased 2008 Honda Accord EX-L with leather in 7/2011 with < 40,000 miles. Within a few weeks, I noticed discoloration and what appeared to be wear of portions of surface on the drivers seat. Basically, the dealer I bought it from, the dealer I normally work with for service and Honda of America (HoA) customer service, all have repeatedly said normal wear and tear, -past warranty. They (HoA) offered a $1,000 fix with a discount to $450. Woopie ding! I have been a loyal Honda accord owner for over 20 years based on quality and customer service. What I have experienced recently was not customer service. Sad, very sad. BTW, I have friends who just sold their used Honda Accord with ~210,000 and the leather looked as good as it did when they bought the car!

The trunk does not stay open on even a modest grade but does not fall down for several seconds, allowing people to lean into the trunk before it hits them. Injury to death more likely from the trunk lid. I have owned 10 cars and have never had one where the trunk lid will not remain up. 2014 Honda Accord problems and complaints, up-to-date recall information and reviews. On Friday, January 11th, 2013, I left Massachusetts and drove up to New Brunswick, Canada which is about a 9-hour ride. Upon arrival that evening, I parked my car in the driveway and left it sit as usual overnight. Next morning, I unlocked the door and opened the drivers side to a smell of burnt plastic and smoke. Immediately, I noticed the dash info screen and GPS area was melted and realized my passenger side floor was burnt. The glove compartment was melted shut and all wiring was exposed. The windshield was completely smoked up and the ceiling too. I was immediately in touch with my local agent at the Herb Chambers Seekonk, Mass location and they were all pretty worried at the moment and requested that I buy a flight back to Mass, which I did with their approval and reimbursement authorization from Honda. My agent requested that I drop the car off at the local Honda dealership in New Brunswick and I returned back to Massachusetts the day after. My local Honda Herb Chambers has informed me that they will not help me and have requested that I return their loaner car which I also had to do.Remember that only 14 months ago I bought a brand new 2012 Honda Crosstour from them full warranty but they still have told me that I am on my own and that I have to deal with American Honda which has been a total nightmare. The car was shipped back on US ground and brought to Maine where the dept manager took a few pictures and looked over the damage but did not go in to the dash or look internally. I did contact this gentleman and asked him what he thought happened and he said that based on what he saw, it was clearly a faulty wire or condensation started fire due to the change in cold weather.I have since then tried to connect with several people at American Honda in Torrance, CA to try and help me and at least identify what really happened here but Honda has refused to help or further investigate or even acknowledge some sort of defect or internal issue with their brand new 2012 Honda Crosstour. This totally boggles my mind how a corporation like Honda could do this.Wouldnt Honda want to know what happened and how to fix this issue moving forward? They have no respect, no sympathy and they try to consider themselves as a reputable company? Honda America needs to do something so that all parties can be notified properly and if any further issues with the Crosstour can be rectified before further damage or even death occurs. If anyone knows what I should do here, please let me know.

My 2001 Honda Passport was less than 98,000 miles (**) and I always kept-up
My 2001 Honda Passport was less than 98,000 miles (**) and I always kept-up with the care and maintenance of my car. I did the timing belt on it by myself. Change oil and anything that my car needed, I would fix it myself. So the speed meter and the gas gauge stopped working, and I told my wife it looks like the car will need a computer. So June 12, 2012, I had South Motors Honda put in a new computer and that fixed the problems. We paid $901.97. April 15, 2012 they wrote it on their computer that the serpentine belt was next and needed a fix. The serpentine belt broke and they had it fixed ($829.04). May 24, 2012 my wife brought the car in because of a tiny oil leak, so they would need to keep the car for a week to replace the oil pan gasket. And on their computer, it never said we would need on the next repair a motor because the person that removed the oil to fix the oil leak (the oil pan gasket, they had to take it off and put a new one on) never added the oil back to the motor and we paid $744.04. So my wife had to pick up the car because I had to return the rental back. As I walk back to South Motors, my wife was so mad because now she hears what are a sound from inside of the motor and a sound of a knock. While they were gone, I opened the hood and checked the oil and nothing was touching the stick. As I close the hood, the tech came and drove our car in to his shop in the back, away from us; and they got mad because I needed to keep my eye on my car. So the tech adds 5 quarts of oil and drove it back around to the service advisor and he said ok, everything is fixed; and the tech fixed the oil leaks. As we started it out, the rods were knocking badly. The service advisor Allen did not write down on the computer at South Motors, like he did everything else, about the motor that’s next for repair. Allen said that after the car leaves South Motors, there is nothing that they can do and its not their problem if it needs a new motor. Allen did say the motor needs to be replaced but not by South Motors. They are not giving me a free motor. This came from Allen and the shop manager. The shop manager did say we spent a lot of money on my car and “Our techs dont let a car leave without any oil and it sounds like youre trying to get a free motor. That’s not going to happen.” I saw the oil stick and saw no oil; and on this specific item (remove the old oil pan gasket and add a new one), you have to drain the oil to fix this leak. You have to replace the oil back in the motor.I think they need to buy me a new motor or write me a check for $5,800 - end of story. You dont have to make this look bad, just mail me a check for $5800.Thanks to the internet for letting me post this. The bad thing is this South Motor Honda. When you do something bad to people, it comes back around. I have talked to a painter and we have talked about making a huge sign about South Motors Honda and write what a great job you do and how many have you scammed like me. We’ll write it in Spanish, too; so when my Honda Passport is parked at the mall, people can read it and find out the truth. Its going to be readable on both sides, so 1000s can read it. You can read it at the mall at school; even at red lights from behind, you can still read how great your scamming of people is. So we have gotten with DOT and DMV to see just what we can cover up; no lights and no tag can be covered, so this sign is where you can read it and be ok with the laws. If nothing else, we dont need signs; he can paint what we need to write it on the Passport.I dont see any other way out, other than paying the owner for his time waiting for his car not to get fixed and renting rental cars all paid out by him. He thinks you owe him a lot more than $5800. Look if he has the money to get these types of repair done and paying for them (and gets treated like this). This man has a family and works, and he thinks you’re giving him the short end of the stick. South Motors needs to stop this by paying him off before he starts, and he has flyers printed by the 1000s. I think you need to pay him with a car and $5800. That’s his car he took care of and he feels he trusted you and you did pooh on him. He trusted you to fix his computer on his car and he paid then it is something else. And then… Ok, money is coming. He is paying $600-$1000 to $1800-$2000. Let’s drain his oil out so we can get him to buy a brand new motor and tell the manager to side with whatever they have to say. Then after we do this, we can get him for more stuff. Look at what all he paid and walk around and laugh at how dumb he is. And just maybe, we play our cards right; we cannot add oil. At some point, we will get him again. He is mad now and we will get him again for being mad or making us do more work. Being a problem to us, we will teach our advisor using 4 letter words. Hey, its ok. We will have him eating out of the palm of our hands and have him come in for little stuff to have us fix on his Passport. So what happened is that the service advisor saw the serpentine belt was broken and needed to be replaced and added that the timing belt may need to be replaced. But he was so worked up about my fine wife that he did or would not hear me telling him this old boy had already put a new timing belt on. He was watching my wife walk around and asked her in a putting me down kind of way, and they would go ahead and change the timing belt. So, I got mad and showed my butt because I did all the work on that change and he would not let me talk or give me the time of the day - too busy looking and not learning about the problems that my car was having. They got mad after removing and finding out everything with the timing belt is brand new. Then, he wanted my wife to walk around and act as if he and she was cock of the walk and try to belittle me. My wife loves me and I trust her. She’s the type of person that reads a person for what theyre worth and she has stood in the heat for what is right, not sides or color or how big he wants to act. So this not putting oil in the car, this Allen guy being a jerk, and the manager buying and standing by Allen’s stories, the manager’s people do no harm and his techs do not leave cars without oil… I am a customer and I have a clue why they would belittle me and remove the oil from my car that’s paid for. I need a check for $5800. I dont trust them with a carton of eggs. They have burned me badly and I cant trust them to replace my motor with a new one that they can clean up junk and try to pass it off as a new motor. I can trust green bills in the amount of $5800. All the waiting with my baby and waiting for our car all day to get fixed was just a part of their games.

Since my car was new. At 300 miles, I discovered all the fluids were below the recommended marks. The car was never PDId and Honda acknowledged this. At 600 miles, the power steering and engine have been vibrating/making noise. Honda inspected my car several times and it was not until the car was over 2000 miles that they decided to replace the power steering pump. The vibration, they said it was all fixed and done. Honda was supposed to re-inspect the car in early February 2012. I am still waiting for a call from Chris, my case manager. The car is still vibrating at idle; the power steering is still making noises and also vibrates. Front suspension, which was also a problem at 300 miles (according to the dealer who tightened bolts) is still making noises and vibrates. This is a brand new car, and now, at little over 6000 miles, I am ready to get rid of it and take legal actions against American Honda. I have all the documentation from each dealer/mechanic visit.I also have all telephone conversations with Honda (I work in the customer service/hospitality industry and I cannot switch this off for Hondas case manager) and I am scheduled to have a specialized engineer inspect my car for faults to pursue legal actions. I feel unsafe driving my car to work everyday. I am very frustrated and disappointed with Honda and it makes me very sad that simple communications are not even happening between Honda and me.

I have a Honda Civic 2009. The paint started to crack and peel from two years ago. The peeling and cracking is now everywhere on the car. It was a shame everywhere I went in these two years. Since I bought the car used, I thought the car was repainted because of an accident. However, I recently searched online and found out that this is a widespread problem for various Honda models!!! I called Honda customer service and was told that because my car is just out of warranty (for twenty days) the repaint job should be done on my own expense, no matter the problem was persistent for last two years. Putting aside how much shame and discomfort this car has brought for me in these years, I was shocked how rude and irresponsible they are in dealing with their loyal customers. My suggestion to you all my friends is: NEVER go for Honda for your new car! Compared to the value and respect other automotive manufacturers like Toyota, etc would provide, it is crazy to invest your money on a car that brings discomfort for you when the company also refuses to take responsibility for their defective products.

I purchased a new, 2022 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition just a little over two weeks ago. When my vehicle was less than two weeks old, with under 500kms it began throwing warning lights. The awd stopped working and my heater shut down entirely (in minus 30 weather). I was getting a total of eight different warning lights and I couldnt move my electric seats to be able to drive safely. Once I got my vehicle home it would no longer start. I figured no big deal, my vehicle hasnt even gone through its first tank of gas, Honda has a great reputation and will take care of me. I have never been so wrong about a manufacturer and have never felt so unappreciated as a customer. It took days to even get my vehicle towed. Ive now spent the past five days on the phone talking with over a dozen different people. Every person I spoke with said it was a different department or persons responsibility. Literally just passing the buck back and forth between Honda Customer Relations, Honda Roadside Assistance and the dealership. I even had my call dropped at one point. After being juggled around for days I finally demanded to speak to a supervisor at Honda Customer Relations. Customer relations told me that supervisors dont speak on the phone with customers. I thought I must have misheard what I was being told. I can buy a forty dollar watch from China and get a supervisor on the phone but not for a new vehicle? I spent 60k on a vehicle two weeks ago (though I havent actually been able to drive it for nearly half the duration of ownership) and Honda Canada doesnt even value me enough as a customer to allow me to speak to someone above the person answering the phone. I was told the only way I would be able to speak to a supervisor is if I was injured or if my vehicle injured someone else. Theyre lucky that I was able to pilot my heater less vehicle from a near laying position back to my house without injuring someone. I however, was not so lucky, as apparently an accident is the only way that you rate high enough to speak to someone with an answer other than we dont take care of that or its someone elses responsibility. Thats what it ultimately comes down to...caring. Honda obviously no longer cares if its customers are safe or remotely satisfied. My vehicle is sitting at the dealership 170kms away from my home, after it broke down due to no fault of my own. Not my fault but my problem. Hondas suggestion was either rent a vehicle on my dollar or talk to my insurance company about getting a rental. Honda Canada, as you have made blatantly clear at this point, your (technically my, though I dont actually have possession) malfunctioning, unsafe vehicle has become solely my problem after I signed on the dotted line. I however, will never buy another Honda and I will let everyone who will hear it know that Honda no longer stands behind their product and definitely not their customer. This has been unequivocally the worst buying experience Ive had to date. Im sitting here in utter disbelief, sick to my stomach trying to figure out how to get my new vehicle back home. I recommend that if youre shopping for a new vehicle that you dont just assume that Honda still stands for reliability and customer service as I had. Look into the customer complaints, class action lawsuits and youll likely figure out that Honda has adopted the money first, customer last stance that so many manufacturers are moving towards. Let my expensive mistake guide you away from a company that no longer embodies what used to be synonymous with Honda...Trust. Youll pay the Honda premium, theyll pocket your dollars, take your trust, crumple it up and toss it along side you into the trash. I may not speak for all your customers but I think all those youve tossed aside would agree...We arent asking for better.. were demanding it!

I am filing a complaint and will continue to until my voice is heard. I bought a 2014 Honda Accord - left over in 2015, brand new 12 miles on the car. It is now 04/2017 and the clear coat is pitting ALL OVER THE CAR. There are 7 cars behind our home. I am the only one with a Honda and the only one with this problem. The Moon Honda dealership said it was due to the environment... Two Chevys (1 white, 1 black), Chrysler 200, Lincoln, Mazda and a Nissan are also parked behind our home and none of these brands have a problem with their clear coat. This is not right and Honda has lost a customer... All that needed to be done was realize the clear coat is bad and offer to treat me as a valued customer by fixing this and re-painting.Reporting this so others with this problem will realize it is not bird poop, other environmental situations or something else the dealership states is why they will not offer up a correction and re-paint their vehicle so it does not shred and look like a car that was in a fire or washed with vinegar... Look around and guarantee you will see a peeled up Honda. Shameful.

I recently took my 2012 Fit into the Honda dealership as the air conditioning wasnt working and it was making a hissing noise. It turns out that there is corrosion between the compressor and the hose that connects to it. It will cost me over $1,000 to repair. How does a 4 year old car that is kept in a garage at home and in covered parking in the day get corrosion under the hood? One of the reasons I bought a new car at the time of purchase was so I would not have costly repairs anytime soon. Now I am looking at a $1,000 repair for something that in my opinion shouldnt happen in a car of this age.

Now, the car has run out of warranty, and when I complained to American Honda, they assigned someone to look into this matter. Her name is Lauren and she is extremely rude and unprofessional. So my car note had been behind for month due to the fact that my husband had lost his job, and I have been the bread winner. My carnote of my 2011 Fit had fallen behind, but I always sent them SOMETHING. Fast forward I come off my day shift at work and notice that my car was gone:(. I frantically called Honda like hey did you guys repo the car? And the Rep. said, Well the car is in repo status, but it does not show in our system as being picked up or not. She made a few phone calls and said that she would not know until one of the many companies they work with send in the proper documents stating that the car was picked up. Long story short Honda required me to pay a repo fee to the city (Torrance, Ca which was 12$ to the city Court House) pay the repo fee, and bring my past due balance current. The only thing that sucks is the process of running out of time during the day and having to wait a whole nother day which equals another day of storage fees. My car was picked up on a Thursday. My fees were paid that Friday afternoon, but because I paid a little after 4 pm the lot was closed :( and I had to wait until Monday to get my car. I must say my situation was HORRIBLE, but it wasnt because of Honda. And Out of all the reps I spoke to they were not all that rude to me (They were kinda like demanding and one person told me more information than they were suppose to but hey he was being nice). So all and all once my account was brought up to date Honda faxed over the release paper. I was able to go to the lot and get my car. (I did have to pay a storage fee of 362.50 CASH???) But I cant just say Honda made the process harder than what it was. If I have anything to complain about its the fact that these lots close SO EARLY and are not open on weekends and cont. to charge you :(. But I just got my car released to me today. After being gone from Thursday December 15 till Monday December 19...

I purchased a new 2020 Honda Talon from Nash Motorsport, Mesa, AZ. I purchased the pre-paid service contract and extended warranty. I live in Mesa, Arizona and the vehicle has been ridden in AZ and once in Southern CA. The vehicle has never been in snow, sand dunes or extensive mud. Most of the driving is typical to the Box Canyon area in AZ or Queen Valley; sand roads and routes. Very rarely has LOW gear ever been used except for a few steep hills. The transmission would not stay in gear during a hill climb and I turned it into Dealer for service immediately not to cause more damage in November. The vehicle is still there. The warranty customer support is horrible to deal with and no escalation process except open claim. They call you back with same answer. NO escalation process. Honda has out right lied and said the vehicle was driven in a way it was not and the damage was caused by switching back and forth between low and high. This is an out right lie.

A week ago, I had a good experience with Honda sales which included a Salesman patiently pairing my phone with the Bluetooth. A week after the connection kept breaking which was verified by the salesman. He tried to connect his own phone to my Bluetooth and was unable to do so. Subsequently another salesman tried another phone which he was able to connect. The second salesman went into the service department to see if he could get any help at which time the Service Manager informed him that Honda does not support the (originally Sprint) Virgin Mobile service and showed him the Honda Canadian Website. I wrote to the Sales Manager, explaining that: 1) I was never informed that the Bluetooth was only available with certain providers, 2) My phone had worked for a week, 3) Another salesman was not able to pair his phone either and 4) My phone clearly recognizes the Honda Bluetooth even though the Honda Bluetooth has stopped recognizing my phone. I need to be helped. Have not heard back from him. Please help. Thanks.

Now Im officially freaked out. I bought a 2021 new HR-V from Huntington Honda (NY) and I’m discovering this new car with all this rust. I showed it to two local mechanics who are shocked and confused as to why there is rust underneath the steering column. I also noted the rust underneath my 31-day old 2021 Honda HR-V. Is this normal? And is there missing insulation in the photo next to the steering column? Is that maybe why these models make a horrible annoying noise when driving 35 plus miles an hour? I’m talking about a piercing whistling noise whenever I crack open a window or moon roof, which according to Huntington Honda, the noise appeared in 2 other 2021 HR-Vs they test drove, and I’m supposed to live with this as if it’s normal. There’s video of this whistling issue in YouTube regarding a 2018 HR-V. In the comments for that video, you’ll see many other Honda HR-V owners complain about the same issue. Did I buy a lemon? Does Honda make bad cars or does Huntington just sell a batch of badly built Hondas. Im wondering if the 0% APR was just a ploy so they could get rid of defectively built cars. I bought this new HRV because I wanted a safe vehicle for my family. The purchase was supposed to be such a joyous thing. What a mistake! My entire family is flipping out! What the hell else is wrong w this car?Anyone experiencing this with the new Hondas or cars from Huntington Honda? Would I have had a better luck at a different Honda dealer? Should I have bought a Toyota, Nissan, or Hyundai? Im super stressed about how much I spent on this car, and no one from the dealer is calling me back, responding timely or willing to help me resolve this. BTW, heres the YouTube video of the horrible noise that these Hondas are making. **

I am not very happy with Honda as of today. A part of the front suspension fell out onto the highway apparently today. This vehicle was Honda certified but now I am finding out vehicle was apparently wrecked with is big no no. Just buyers beware that bullet proof Honda is no better than our old suppliers at Chevy and Ford. P.S. I am also being hung with $800 repair bill for something that is no fault of my operation of vehicle.

When I bought my 05 Honda Accord Hybrid, I was told the hybrid battery would last to 150,000 to 200,000 miles. At 81,000, just after the warranty expired, the check engine & IMA (hybrid battery) light came on. I paid $300 for a software upgrade at the time & was assured by Honda Customer Service that they would stand by their product. Over the next couple of years, the lights came on periodically and Ive had to pay for additional software upgrades. The last time it happened, the lights came on again less than 30 days later. Now Honda is saying the battery is bad and needs to be replaced, at my expense. I have called several dealers and gotten estimates ranging from $2,700 to $5,700 (for parts only). When I purchased this car, I was told the battery would cost $2,000 or less. Now Im stuck with a car that will not pass a state safety inspection without paying several thousand dollars for a replacement battery. On top of it, the car has NEVER gotten the mileage Honda claimed it would get. In fact, it gets WORSE mileage than my last Honda Accord.

I own a 2008 Honda Ridgeline that is at about 60,000 miles. I have taken especially good care of this vehicle with regular maintenance updates. Overall, other than the poor gas mileage (best is 20 mpg on highway), it has been a good vehicle. The problem is that two exhaust sensors have had to be replaced already at a cost almost $1,000.00, not to mention waiting at the Wilde Honda Dealership in Sarasota, Florida for many hours at a time. I cant imagine why the sensors have gone out already, and the incredible costs they have incurred. Honda has a reputation for build quality. Unfortunately when they do need repairs, the cost is an arm and a leg. Just FYI my other car, a 2010 Ford Flex has and still is running relatively problem free at 85,000 miles so far.

I traded in my Dodge Challenger for a brave new 2019 Honda Civic sport due to commuting. Don’t waste your money, the car is made of plastic, you lean on it or even knock something lightly against it you will have a dent. For a $26,000 car. The sensor system is piece of **! Lights come on for no reason, I take it to Honda and they want to charge hundreds of dollars to fix problems that I did not cause as I keep the maintenance and upkeep on the car up. The tires are **! I’ve had my car for 3 months and have had 3 issues with my tires. I’ve never had issues with cars until this nightmare. Don’t purchase a 2019 Honda!

Last week, I gave my Honda Stunner in one of the service center (Vahini motors, Kollam, Kerala) to correct certain complaints in the engine. I bought my bike just 8 months back, but I got an engine complaint. As they said, I changed an engine part (gasket) but still there is an unwanted noise while accelerating. Also, they had not corrected the RPM meter. All the services, that is the first four services, were done correctly. Looking forward for your reply.

I purchased a 2002 Honda. I was refused a test drive. The air conditioning was not working and the radio didnt work. I took it in for service for the air conditioning, then the maintenance required light was on. After receiving the serviced car, it stalled when making turns 4 days later. I took the car to a Honda dealer to have it checked and was told it was the timing belt causing the engine to cease and low oil. My question is, the car was in the shop less than a week prior and doesnt work. I attempted to return the vehicle to the dealer. Coleman is refusing to take it back. Honda car is a dud and Coleman refuses to satisfy the customer.

I purchased two cars over the last 6 months, and 5 in the last few years. Not to mention all the people I have sent to Dublin Honda over the last 10 years. I have never been so resentful and betrayed after my last purchase at Dublin Honda, Dublin CA. I trusted them, which of course was my first mistake and my second was not taking care of this immediately. But over the last few months Ive lost my dad. My dog who is only 2 was diagnosed with congenital kidney failure. She is an English Bulldog and the breeder is facing 10 yrs in prison. Ive had to be out of town often lately and in fact the night I purchased this Acura I was leaving town for 3 wks so I purchased at night, then very early the next morning I simply parked it at the airport and didnt have a chance to really view all the things wrong until later. I contacted Steve ** whom is the GM and in charge of the dealership. He gave me the impression that he was going to work with me, and help me to resolve the issues I have with the car I was sold. But upon meeting with him (He told his employees he had to leave for an ER) however when I saw him he indicated he was just about to leave. I told him everything I was concerned about and he said there was nothing he could do. He asked me why I traded in the brand new 2015 Honda Civic I purchased a month before!!! Why is this relevant??? I had the car inspected and it has been found to have so many issues. I couldnt get 14k for the car two months after I purchased it. I spent 20k in CASH. I was told the car had one owner, was in mint condition and so on. The tires are the cheapest worst rated tires on the market, definitely not made for an Acura. The floor has large holes where something has rusted/eaten away at the carpet and left holes. The windshield has a crack. I was given only one broken key, no floor-mats. There are scratches all over that have been painted with a paint pen, dents on quarter panel, front under license plate, frayed leather seats, scratched rims. (ONLY A 4 CYLINDER) I was told it was a V6. I will forward pictures of all the damage and also know I contacted the salesperson a few days after I purchased and told him about the scratches and dents. I think the worst part of this entire situation is how badly Steve ** has treated me. This is after 10 yrs of loyal dedication to the dealership. He didnt even try to work on fixing any of these issues. In very good condition this car isnt worth 14k!!!

My metallic gray 2009 Honda Civic has peeling and discolored paint on the hood and front fenders. I googled my issue and saw it was a common problem and covered under warranty. I took the car into my dealer and was told that the 7 year paint warranty had expired. I explained that I had never received a warranty notification and requested a warranty extension. My request was denied by the dealer and the Honda Regional Manager. I appealed to Honda American; my appeal was denied. I have been a loyal Honda customer for 23 years and am extremely disappointed with Honda for failing to stand by their product.

It was all when I came across this beautifully designed retro-styled beast at my friend’s house when I decided to book a test drive of the same. Talking of the style of the bike, it is nothing less than a royal cruiser with styling that any 90’s kid would love. However, it’s only the looks that are old! In terms of its performance, engine, and functionality, the bike is a beast of the present. Simply love the bike!

The 2018 Honda Civic Sport Touring that I purchased is the single worst auto purchase I have ever made, and I have owned more than several Honda automobiles and motorcycles. The build quality is horrendous on this new model, it feels as if you are driving around with the windows and or doors open at all times, the interior constantly fogs. The interior is extremely cold in winter and extremely hot in the summer, the climate is at 90% fan level at all times, of which the fan makes a subtle whirling noise. The collision mitigation system will brake randomly for you with no obstacles in sight, insanely dangerous. That same system if you attempt to disable you can but you only get like 10 disables before you can no longer disable for the following 2 weeks, really? A limit on how many times I can turn off this horrible dangerous feature????The OEM tires on the vehicle are constantly either blowing out or running low on air, why they put such a cheap standard load tire on this hatchback vehicle should be considered criminal. I have now had to replace 2 blowouts and Im re-filling a different tires air at least once a week, I had to purchase a tire infiltrator so that I dont have to constantly visit and pay the gas station for air.The wooden board that covers the spare tire in the trunk has curved and no longer sits flat, WT???? The molding/black rubber seals around the doors and jamb already coming loose. From what I have noticed on the drivers side door the interior section if you rest your arm on the panel itself it rattles, Im assuming this is caused due to the flimsy nature of the panel itself. The drivers side visor rattles?13, 000 miles in and Im counting down the months over the next year to trade this junk in, I will never ever buy a new Honda vehicle going forward. I would without any doubt recommend Hondas from 2010 and back because I have had great experience with the year models. Im sure Im missing something here as there is just too many thing to remember. I get in the car daily thinking whats next with this thing. Living off the build and name of years in the past. Just HORRIBLE.

The Honda dealership we were familiar with I had test drove cars there before. We went there after we got a online sale price. They were wonderful to deal with. Answered all our questions. Took both cars as trade-ins. Explained all the bells and whistles of the car to us. I love that it is 4 wheel drive-a crossover from a SUV. The back seats fold down completely. The back doors blend in giving the car an awesome look plus it has the wiper in the back window, cameras in the back and on the right to turn.

Ive been on Hondas since the late 60s, dirt, trail & blacktop versions. Ive had other brands (primarily cruisers), but have been disappointed and have returned home to Honda. After playing in the dirt during my youth I graduated finally to the Wings. Got my first Wing in 1984 right out of the crate. Put over 250K on her and traded her in on a shiny new SEI in 1986. Kept the SEI in pristine condition until a moving company broke her during a military move & purchased a 95 anniversary edition, which I still have today. Ive had hog riders tell me she isnt a real bike and Ive told them that they are correct - shes a Cadillac convertible on 2 wheels. Unlike an ultra glide I can be on her with my wife, all day long and at the end of a long day of 400+ miles I can still walk. Three cruisers, all with over 200K miles doing nothing more than typical scheduled maintenance or replacing small parts e.g., tires, brake pads etc. Ive known several people that have well over a half-million miles on Wings and are still going strong - figure out how many V-twins youd go through in that many miles. Ive been thinking of trading in the 95 for another new bike, but really do Not like the most recent version of the Wing. Ive been on the BMW cruiser and Ive got to admit, it really has me thinking of changing. Thirty-five years of loyalty with Wings is hard to shake, but they (Honda) seem intent on taking one of their best lines (Goldwing) and making it into another sports bike. Buy a good used one if you can find one, youll be very happy you did.

They don’t mind keeping on hold for 20 minutes or more than that. When I asked them to connect with their seniors after keeping me on hold for four minutes executive said they are busy and can’t talk now. My husband and I both leased a 2017 CR-V. We were talked into getting the 2017 because of all the bells and whistles. The phone, trunk, door locks and auto start do not work. We brought it in multiple times but still don’t have a resolution. My car has been vandalized several times because even though I lock the door the keys lock/unlock themselves. The Autostart won’t work if it’s too cold or snowing. The phones are always disconnecting or saying no device connected. The trunk does not always work from the key fob and doesn’t always open completely and most times needs to be manually closed which is difficult with the hydraulics. I would not recommend Honda and would not recommend Fletcher Jones. The customer service has been a part-time job that no one wants to help me with. I am disappointed that I was talked into spending more money for a car with more gadgets and benefits that just don’t work the way they are supposed to. I am also highly disappointed in the lack of customer service or resolutions for our investments.

I called Honda because I bought a new 2016 HR-V EX AWD which has the keyless system. The owners guide states I can unlock all doors with the trunk release. It does not and I learned that the owners manual states something different. I also complained to the phone contact because the only door that opens all doors is the passenger door, unlike past vehicles I have had where pushing the button twice opens all doors. I was told this was a security feature of the vehicle. However, it would be just as secure if it required two pushes for all doors and only the current handle grab for the drivers door. When I asked how to get both issues repaired I was told the drivers door was engineered that way and could not be fixed because it was not broken. They will be calling back about the trunk to clarify which is correct, the owners guide or owners manual.I was pleased the company is willing to respond quickly but am entirely dissatisfied with their denial that the doors could be altered given that this version of the car is quite a bit more money than the version with remote entry instead of keyless entry. As the driver, I either have to fish the key fob out of my purse or make my kids wait until I am inside the car to let them in. Im having to train them to stop yanking on the door handles until I am inside. Worse is that I cannot open the back doors myself without the same maneuvering, difficult if I am hauling items I have stored in the back seat.

Said wait out lease blah blah then told me my Honda loyalty could get me far? But clearly did not. I ended up going to Chevy. Worked out an amazing deal for me and I returned my Honda early and under the miles I was suppose to return it with. Of course Honda could fathom I went somewhere else and charged me a nice 375 which was explained to me, Oh that’s because you didn’t get another car with Honda... like what? I leased a 21 passport with my husband last month from Honda. The sales team was great, price was good and team was friendly -unfortunately this car has some issues! I don’t blame the dealer. I blame the maker (Honda). Since we bought the car I have been driving it back and forth to work and with my son. After a car wash one day I had noticed rust behind the wheels. I told my husband about it he said it wasn’t like this when we bought it. About week later I started to notice a weird feeling when driving so I gave my husband the car to drive. After him driving it he feels it has some transmission issues. Between that and the rust he was super pissed. He contacted Honda hq and brought it for service. The manager was super helpful and nice my husband said but unfortunately after the visit the rep that came from hq told us the car is normal! I’m sorry rusty/not proper functioning transmission is not normal. I am very unhappy that I do not feel safe to drive this car and now every month I have to pay for something I can’t even get behind the wheel. My husbands friend has the 20 passport. No issues. No rust. No transmission problems. Why is this the issue with the 2021? Issues after a little over a month of ownership not a good look. Awful job Honda!!
