Engine Options and Performance: The 2023 Jetta is equipped with a standard 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that produces 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The sportier Jetta GLI variant comes with a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine delivering 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Fuel Economy: The Jetta is known for its impressive fuel economy. The standard 1.5-liter engine achieves an estimated 29 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway with the automatic transmission, making it one of the more fuel-efficient options in its class. The Jetta GLI, with its more powerful engine, offers slightly lower fuel efficiency but still manages to deliver a respectable 26 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.

Higher trims feature an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, a premium audio system, and a customizable 10.25-inch digital cockpit display. Other available features include a panoramic sunroof and ambient interior lighting.

Safety Features: Standard safety features on the 2023 Jetta include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Higher trims offer additional safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high beams.

Cargo Space: The Jetta offers a generous amount of trunk space for a compact sedan, with 14.1 cubic feet of cargo room. The rear seats can also be folded down in a 60/40 split configuration to accommodate longer items, providing additional versatility for carrying cargo.

Trims and Pricing: The 2023 Volkswagen Jetta is available in several trims: S, Sport, SE, and SEL. The base S trim starts at around $21,000, while the higher SEL trim with more features can cost up to $28,000 or more. The performance-oriented Jetta GLI is priced higher, starting at around $31,000.

Driving Experience: The Jetta provides a smooth and comfortable ride, with a well-balanced suspension that absorbs road imperfections effectively. The steering is light and responsive, making it easy to maneuver in tight spaces and providing a confident feel on the highway. The Jetta GLI offers a more engaging driving experience, with a sport-tuned suspension, upgraded brakes, and a more powerful engine.

The 2023 Volkswagen Jetta remains a solid choice for those looking for a practical, efficient, and well-equipped compact sedan. I have a 2011 Jetta Sportwagen, which for the most part has performed well. However recently Ive had a problem with my rear seat-belts seizing up and no longer working. I took them to the dealer and was charged $120 for them to look at it, tell me it would need replacement and I would have to pay $1200 because my car was no longer under warranty. I informed them I purchased the Platinum extended warranty and they said it was not covered. I contacted VW of America. After about a week I finally received a phone call and was told by a Jenny ** that she would see what she could do. A few days later she called back and said I was out of warranty, but they would supply the parts free of charge, but I would have to pay for installation. I told them I appreciated the gesture, but felt that a 3 year old vehicle should not have this issue. I wanted them to stand behind their product and replace the seat belts. I asked to speak to a supervisor and got the runaround, until she finally agreed to talk to her supervisor. Instead of a supervisor coming on the line after I sat waiting to dead air for 5 minutes or so, Jenny came back on and said SHE spoke to the supervisor and the supervisor agreed with her position. I told her I wanted to speak to the supervisor and I wanted the name of the person she spoke to. She kept trying to avoid the issue and then finally said she spoke to Sharonda. I asked to speak to her and was told she could only put my request in the system and someone else would contact me by Monday.

In October 2016 I registered my 2013 VW Jetta TDI with VW as a buyback. As soon as requested I submitted copies of registration, drivers licenses and lien holder info. About a month later (definitely not within the qp days VW was supposed to respond). I got a final offer letter. I signed the correct places, had it notarized and faxed it on as directed. Two weeks and two phone calls later to customer support the status remained as waiting for fax. So I faxed the documents again. Another wasted phone call to CS to find out why they dont/cant acknowledge receiving my fax... Then I get an email stating I didnt send all pages of my offer. So back to another fax ($8) every time. Twenty four hours later status is waiting for fax... I have transmission receipt showing all 7 pages were successfully sent. Another call to CS and again they give me a non answer... I have no way of knowing. VW is stalling. What is our next recourse?

I bought Tiguan model 2012 from the dealer in Abu Dhabi. I am the only driver, and exactly after the 3 years warranty expired, I started experiencing major problem with the car. For example: leaking coolant pump, boot cracked, noisy bush cracked, stuck defect, and more. I have just replaced the roof cetane (damaged with no obvious reason) and cost me almost 1000$. And last year there was oil leakage which required costly replacement. I would like to know why this is happening to a new car. Never happened to me before with other make. Please do respond to my concern.

Buyer beware! My Tiguans timing chain skipped and bent the valves. $7000 to repair... At 60,000 miles, I still owe $9600. It is in pieces in my garage. A mechanic friend of mine is working on it part-time. At every turn, I have to buy a special tool to remove a special bolt or special part. $71 for a crankshaft pulley tool.

I was in the market to buy, cash, a 2016 beetle SEL but after reading the hundreds of reviews against a few good reviews I have decided not to purchase. With each review read, it was like reliving the days when I too owned a 1972 beetle. The same problems then are the same problems now - the window, door paneling, door handle falling off. When I read the factory warranty was 3 years 36 months that was a BIG turn off. Who does that anymore? Its a HOAX! RUN! I am 64, a widow and ready to have some fun. That fun will not be with VOLKSWAGEN! Thanks to all beetle owner reviews.

Faulty cord causing airbag light sensor. I have a 2003 volkswagen beetle. I had an airbag sensor light go off on my dashboard recently. I got it checked out by a local mechanic and he finally came to the conclusion that it had something to do with a cord under my passenger seat. I have researched this issue and found that it is a very common problem with volkswagen. I had never even seen this light on before. I contacted volkswagen of america and was told in a response email that I would be contacted within 2 business days. Over a week passed, and I had to call them to check on the status of my request. I was then told that they responded, which I never received. Also, they even admitted in the notes that the customer service advocate read back to me, that they conducted research and are simply not willing to cover the cost to correct the problem due to the age of my car. It is a 2003 not a 1980. At what point does a timeline for correcting a defect expire and who decides this? This is a major safety hazard for me and very inconvenient. With the sensor going off, the airbag is currently disabled. I cannot allow any passengers to ride with me. I do not feel that I should have to cover the cost of a faulty part out of my control, especially when there are many many other cases with the same issue. I am very disappointed in the way my request was handled.

Lost my only remote and key for my Volkswagen 2010 Golf. Recently purchase this car and the Remote/key worked perfect. I lost the remote and Remote/key a couple of days ago. Went to the Bozzani Volkswagen in Covina California, and order a new Remote/key for $300 plus. The key was ready in 2 business days and my car was towed to the dealer so Remote/key can be programmed. The Remote/key was program by the dealer. The remote didnt worked, but the key was able to start the car. The dealer told me that most likely was a wiring problem and they need to run a diagnostics on the car. How can that be? If the original Remote/key worked just fine. Im getting ready to contact the dealer again and tell them that I cant pay for the diagnostics since seems that the problem is the way the programmed the key. They really need to take care of this issue. They are responsible since they programmed the Remote/key. I will update this review once I contact the dealer again and see what they are planning to do about this issue. If they take care of the issue I definitely will give them a good review.

The intake manifold has failed on my boyfriends 2010 CC sport. This part has an extended 10 year/120,000 mi warranty on it. His vehicle is just outside of that warranty in mileage (121,500) and they wont do anything to ease the cost of replacing part. The whole reason they extended the warranty was because they expected the part to fail within 10 years, and its definitely less than 10 years old. Because other car manufacturers would take this into consideration and do some type of prorate of split the difference in parts & labor or something of the like, we called and asked them to do this. And they just dont care. No reason to build brand loyalty, I guess. Every time weve had to deal with them, it has been a head ache - the Takata airbag recall for instance. My mom has a Honda. Honda gave her a rental until they could fix the problem because it is unsafe to drive at the risk of having a collision and being pumped full of shrapnel from your airbags. She got her car back, fixed, 2 weeks ago, though she was in a rental for about a month. When we called VW about it then best response that we could get was why its safe to continue driving it around. Or how the NHTSA doesnt find it unsafe. The funny thing is, I research EVERYTHING. And according to everything I found, the NHTSA is who demanded the recall. VW responded with a letter as to why they should be exempt from it. The recall was issued in 2014, and VW just started recalling in February 2016. Shame on this company for caring so little about its drivers & for being so reckless with consumers lives in general. VERY disappointing. If you want reliability, you may want to go with a less expensive vehicle as they seem to have a better attitude and overall view of customer service.

I have a new 2018 Golf GTI, I was surprised to find there is no cover for the battery, the terminals are both exposed. I asked the dealer if this was correct and they did not know, I called VW customer care and they said they dont know what they put on the cars, they are not able to answer technical questions, and I should ask the dealer. I said I had done so without satisfaction and was told to ring around dealers until I found someone who did know! I am surprised to find the two battery terminals exposed on a vehicle that is so complex, this is a potential shock and fire hazard. This is my 10th VW and I do not recall seeing the terminals totally exposed before.

I own a Tiguan. Its my 5th VW. This time I bought the trailer hitch addition to the MSRP for $550 new to pull a trailer. I knew I would be pulling a small trailer & ATV under 1500 lbs very infrequently. This package came with the 7 pin wiring harness so one would expect it to actual work trailer lights. I go to hook up the trailer, see the wiring harness but cant figure out how to hook it up. They had me bring it in and tried to hook it up. I then found out I had to spend an additional $400 to reprogram the entire vehicle, add a control module, & mounting hardware. I worked for VW for years & loved the product. I have referred many friends and family to VW. That has now changed. I gave them a chance to help out with the extra cost and they flat out denied to help even in a small amount. This put a very sour taste in my mouth and I will never refer another person to them. Emich is a great dealership but go to their Chevy store not VW. Volkswagen is a greedy, cheating, company that nickel and dimes their clients for any little thing they can. Never again will buy their product & will do everything to advise others against it as well. I dont think it is crazy to expect a 7 pin wiring harness to actually work the one purpose it is designed to work.

Great experience! Volkswagen is my first car and favorite car. Its small and the perfect size for me. Parking is so easy. Love driving it, its a convertible as well, 2016 model red in color which is my favorite color. Interior is comfortable and I love German cars in general, they drive very well. Ive been wanting it since I was 16 and Im 24 now. I love how everything works with a push of a button like the trunk, gas. The lights on the inside made it look slick. The convertible, the stiffness of the wheel, driving it. Its fun to drive and I feel confidently driving it. But I dont like the middle of the backseat as its too hard. Also the switch to turn on the headlights that sometimes I forget and then the battery dies.

I was recently involved in an accident where I was rear ended on a major highway. I was shocked at how little damage was down to my vehicle and how well it absorbed the impact. My initial thinking was that my vehicle was destroyed but it wasnt and I was able to drive my wagon into the town where there was a collision center. The total damage and cost was far less than I expected. I am so glad I took a chance and bought this vehicle. Kudos to Volkswagen and their team that designed the safety features and overall look and feel of this vehicle.

Im so over this car and so disappointed. My family told me to buy a Honda. I wish I wouldve listened. They all own Hondas. No maintenance cars. As soon as I can Im getting rid of it and VW for life. I have had leaking issues with my 2007 eos but have been told by dealer every time I had taken in that they could not detect any leaks. When it rained hard it leaks and it leaks on door panel and on part of leather seat. After I picked up car from dealer I would take to car wash. Of course it leaked then just like when it rains really hard. Called volkswagen customer service and they told me that they dont recommend taking to high pressures car wash and that they feel there is no issue. I was fed up constantly taking car to dealer not only for leaking but other issues. My car has condensation on inside of windows and the leather that cover door panels have peeled up from door. Drivers side window control needs to replaced. I will never buy or recommend a volkswagen ever. Dealership or company will not acknowledge any leaking issue.

VW CC was purchased three years ago as a Dealer Certified car with 42,000 miles. Performed the 45,000 mile and 60,000 mile major services at the dealer costing over $3,500 for regular maintenance. One day after performing the 70,000 mile service with the dealer the check engine light comes on and the engine starts running roughly and stalling. VW Dealer tells me the intake manifold is a free warranty repair but demands payment of $400 to clean carbon build-up in the pistons/injectors. DO NOT BUY VW. They said that they sold a lot of these cars and only my car and one other had this issue, this is a lie, from the research and from speaking with a Customer Care Manager, all the R Lines experience this problem. These people should be ashamed of themselves, for being so dishonest. I would not buy another VW if someone paid me to, and for anyone considering this brand run for the hills. You enter the remote start sequence and the engine runs for 1 second and then turns off. How could they not be aware of this issue before they put this car on the market.

Receiving my final invoice from VW credit for 4,888. This was a lease return that I thought was factored into the deal. Guess what, it was not. I am writing this as I just received my final invoice coming off a lease. Well guess what, I owe 4,888 dollars. This was back from May of 2018. At the time I gave Lakeland VW 5 stars. Matter of fact went and purchased 2 more VW as I was so happy. Well stupid me I should have asked more questions before signing any paperwork. Of course they took my trade/lease and gave me 1,000 dollars to make up for the remaining 6 lease payments. At the time this seemed weird but they told me not to worry about it, You will get your final invoice showing the remaining lease payments, take the money we send you and pay your final invoice from VW credit. What they didnt tell me is that you will also have to pay for high mileage, dents, dings and any excessive wear and tear. Well this just cost me an additional 3,888 dollars. Stupid me (because I have never leased). All they did was take and send it back to VW credit. I thought this was being treated as a normal trade in and any excessive wear and tear was factored into the deal. NOPE just the opposite. One would think they would have fully disclosed this prior to me signing the deal. Had I would have known I would have just kept the car until the lease ran out and just purchased it out right, which I had planned to do anyways. I have spoke to VW Corp and VW credit and of course there is nothing that can do, this lies with the dealership. I am warning you, if your coming off a lease be very careful and ask 1,000 of questions before signing your name. 7 months later you will get the same invoice as I did. Cost me an additional 3,888 bucks. Stupid me, go somewhere else that will have full disclosure since this is not your day job and youre trusting others with your money or at least trusting others to fully disclose your huge purchase. I would like the dealership to honor paying the additional 3,600 dollars that should have been factored into the deal.

Brake control on the passenger side of my new VW Golf (2016) - Travelling along the M6 just overtaking when wheels locked up - managed to gain control and continue also causing myself to be slightly injured to the hand. Reason passenger pressed a lever/switch on the passengers side thinking it would open a lid. It was the parking brake which locked the wheels and nearly caused a serious accident as the controls are on the passenger side. This could happen again easily and our biggest problem: we have four children so one often sits in the front seat. This has made the wife dreading taking the car out, maybe would, could blank it off with tape or a cover while the problem is rectified? Strange that VW spend so much on research and make a fundamental design problem. It could be that a wrong console has been fitted and one from a left hand drive installed. This could be checked out by looking at a left hand drive car? Check out the showroom that all Golfs have the controls on the passenger side, I have now found out that the design fault is only on right hand cars. I think it was a money saving idea not to fit the switches on the drivers side which I pointed out to the VW person contacting me which he was not aware of. He also informed me if I do anything to try to make it safer it would void the guarantee of the car. Said there was no plans for this to be correct in the future and no more correspondence would be entered into. The incident has made my wife paranoid about having a child on the front passenger seat. I could tape up the switches or try to build a box around them but it really is a dangerous design fault. We tell passengers not to touch them when they get into the passenger seat. The incident happened on a motorway at about 70 miles per hour just as I was about to overtake. Fortunately, as I was doing an overtaking maneuver, there was no one behind me. I injured my hand on the steering wheel and twisted my neck - the pain which only lasted the rest of the day. I did contact the dealer in January who sold me the new car and reported the fault - they have contacted me and it seems that they only offer me understanding of what I experienced but said I saw what I buying in the showroom and all the VW Golfs are build like this. I did point out that was not correct and it is just the Right Hand drive models that have this arrangement. Would like to know if I am the only person that has complained or experience about this fault?

Volkswagen Atlas w/ Lane Assist & Adaptive Cruise Control - Cell phone
Volkswagen Atlas w/ Lane Assist & Adaptive Cruise Control - Cell phone jammed the locks from opening. Cell phone jammed the keyless start on many occasions. SUV can be driven remotely and was when a hacker (twice) took over steering and the gas pedal via the Adaptive Cruise Control. The vehicle sped hard up to 85mph. Eventually VW bought back the vehicle in its entirety but all the vehicles with this type of semi-autonomous or autonomous technology should be recalled and pulled from the roads. It’s too easy to hack them. Vehicles can get viruses via the cell phone and through the Bluetooth. An architect / engineer at GM shared this conversation with me whilst trying to help me diagnose my problem with my vehicle/s.After the VW hacks the vehicle was never the same and couldn’t stay in the middle of the road. It would ride the center line or pull approx 18” over center before the sensors realized a problem. You’re supposed to be able to take your hands off the steering wheel for up to 8-9 seconds. There is no way to do this because you’d be in a ditch or under a semi truck. It’s a product defect and foundations of the technology is not stable.Sadly, I’ve reached out to the attorneys to help but most say they need about 50 deaths first. I say how much is your life worth to you? I have videos and photos to support the other people who are interested in their own business opportunities for a meeting with the customer and likewise for the insurance liability company. It’s the insurance liability companies that fall on the sword and they are responsible for the damages. Now that they understand how the game works for me and my family and friends and family I hope the insurance companies have more sense to get this mess cleaned up here and with the other automotive companies looking forward to deploying more autonomous vehicles on the road. When was it ever a good idea to put P.C. technology under the hood of a car? The spying and espionage the result of certain always on connected devices to a vehicles connected and networked system is connected to the internet and to the point it is broke globally due to technology corruption issues related to issues with the other people who are responsible for the other things they are doing with the other people. It’s not cool and a global technology problem for the future of the automotive industry will help fix it all over again and the repair man denied that he saw any issues. Total waste of time and money. Completely unnecessary to work with me for the next meeting with the customer but a forced payment for the work to share with my insurance company helped insurance companies and the can increase the charges for insurance liability for the high-risk deathbed. Whistleblower for me and for whichever attorney I will need help with the insurance liability company and the money back to me for the problems that I experienced as a result of those issues related to the problems that they were not able to help fix. Thank you very much for your help and change the insurance liability company to be more of a voice or and stop the production of these the liabilities. These vehicles need to die on the line. If you’re interested in that it may actually help you to save money and you can help fix the problems with that and your companies will be responsible for the insurance liability and only to get the money back to the customer with damages due to the problems with the known product defects. Hopefully I get a chance to see you soon and I work with you on these issues. I’ve got more of a handle of these problems and more than anybody else in this area.

2008 VW Passat 2.0T burns lots of oil.I purchased my 2008 VW Passat 2.0T on 5/2/11. I had oil change on 7/15/11 and was over 2 quarts low. I contacted my dealership since this car had less than 50,000 miles, why is its 100% synthetic oil breaking down like this since I obviously have a leak. The dealership said to check oil every 1000 and call back at next oil change; burnt/slipped around rings 2 quarts of oil. The dealership doesnt want to do oil consumption test because its within manufacturer acceptable limitations. Any oil consumption that requires I carry oil with me in my vehicle represents a real problem. This takes my $100 regular oil changes to $130. And nobody thinks this should be disclosed to the consumer prior to making a purchase decision? I did the research before I purchased and I didnt even dream of looking up this subject. I researched electrical malfunctions, engine life, performance, etc. This was never mentioned by the dealership, and now isnt their issue.

Bought a 2021 VW Atlas. Made in USA. Navigation issues. Accepts address but will not go there. Works on 80 % of address that are entered. Complained to VW, getting nowhere. They say it is a software issue. And is not their problem. They say I should deal with software company. I bought this car from VW not the software company. Customer service sucks. They are purchasing inferior products - to save money and not supporting their customers. Will never buy another VW.

So they sent another one that would be here in a few minutes. After another hour and a half, they said they would send another one. This one came an hour later, but they sent the WRONG typed! I told them many times I needed a flatbed because I had 4 slashed tires!!! Dont ever use VW Roadside Assistance. They are doing false advertising when they sell cars and say you will get free convenient roadside assistance in their package. They finally sent another one out, and after waiting all day, they finally got my car to VW but after hours!!! They SUCK!!! Dont ever use Volkswagens Roadside Assistance!

On the 19th October 2017 my Polo Gti which is still under warranty broke down at approximately 6 pm. This vehicle is currently doing 41000km and is still under warranty. My biggest concern or disappointment is that this car gave no warning and just breaks on a busy street with my family in the car. What if this car had broken down in the middle of nowhere or worst in a dangerous area putting mines and my familys life at risk?I then had to wait two hours for roadside assist to tow the vehicle away. I was told the next day by VW Umhlanga that they busy and my car will be only looked at on Monday. After phoning whoever I could I managed to get hold of service manager of VW Umhlanga who said that he will try have a look at the vehicle that afternoon.Saturday morning I got a call saying they did a software upgrade and the car is fine. 1. Why did roadside assist send a tow truck from Mount Edgecombe to tow the breakdown in Tongaat, is that the nearest breakdown services, because I know its not, I personally know a towing company in the area that is VW accredited. 2. Secondly why was the vehicle towed to Umhlanga who was clearly not willing to have a look at the car till Monday. Had I not made a fight about it, and to my knowledge VW Ballito is much closer.I am now worried as this vehicle has a warranty that ends at 45000km or next year 2018. There was no warning of it breaking and no explanations as to why it did. What if it has similar problems as soon as this warranty expires and the headache and costs of this vehicle now becomes mines. I spent 32000 rand on this vehicle and breaking down in the middle of a busy street was the last thing I expected.I am hoping VW comes up with a solution as to maybe extending this vehicles warranty and guarantee this problem never arises at all. If I do not get a reasonable solution from VW I will make sure I complain on every platform be it the ombudsmen or Hellopeter. I just think that breaking down in a vehicle that costs over 300000R without no warning and just be told by the agents its a software problem and we dont know why it has happened is unacceptable. I am hoping to get feedback from you soon.

I turned in my 2015 TDI diesel sportwagen on December 30, 2016 to Santa Monica Volkswagen. On a car which had real aftermarket depreciation, as it was an in-demand car recalled two months after I bought it, I was given $10k less than purchase price, and they did not factor in the ($1,500) upgrades I added on (custom light package, mats). I received my paltry settlement three days later - however, Volkswagen of America has NOT paid VW credit. I am not getting charged late fees for a car I no longer own. Both VW credit and the CSR at VW Claims recommend I make the car payment that was due on 12/31. When I met face to face with my ambassador who helped with the paperwork, he told me all fees would be settled immediately - so why would I not believe them??? Was considering an AllTrack - glad I passed, as I want nothing to do with VW ever again. I called VW corporate and they apologized. As if that matters.

I brought my 2013 VW Jetta back to the VW dealership for the buyback on March the 24th. They were supposed to have a check ready for me when I delivered the vehicle. They apparently lost it. We received an initial letter saying further instructions for banking info for the direct deposit would follow. Nothing came. After several calls I get told (like others) the claim has been escalated. After another phone call to their claims department I was asked if I had a firewall set up on my email account. I said yes so they asked if I had a personal email account. I was informed it will take 7 to 10 business days to get a email to our gmail account.I called them today the 11th of April for status. We get told they have tried calling to give us information. We never received any such calls. They are liars which is proven by the mess they are in right now. They have now given us a Canadian fax number to send information to. I dont understand that. We now get told it will take another 7 to 10 business days to receive the funds which I highly doubt. It seems Volkswagen is doing everything they can to stall. We have several VWs in our company and after this I will not deal with them again. Completely incompetent company. They have my car and I have no money.

I leased a 2017 VW Tiguan in Jan 2018. It had only 6025 miles on it. When entering my Garage it suddenly had acceleration to damage the Cars front and garage wall which made a big hole in it. I contacted VW HQ Customer Care immediately in Auburn Hills, MI and they listened and kept me asking questions again and again how it happened. First they said will give you a case number. Then later they asked to send a letter that I am not going to litigate on this matter which was promptly mailed for they will not accept an email to this effect. I also contact their US CEO in Herndon, VA Office sending them all pictures of damage to Car and garage Wall and Door access to home. These pictures were taken by Insurer Liberty Mutual. Unfortunately due a mistake I forgot to get Rental Car Coverage from Liberty Ins. It is costing $330 per week in NJ. Car I am told will not be repaired for 3-4 weeks to get parts.I also asked for stopping lease payments $212 p.m starting Nov 15 and keep me whole on damage to the garage wall and related costs. The VW rep did not sound too enthusiastic. I have had as a student a VW Beetle to drive several times. It was a great little car. This sudden acceleration of TIGUAN, a Police guy told me is now happening in some Cars that had faulty electronics synced with Transmission. It is very frightening if the same had happened on Highway behind a Long haul truck. Fortunately I did not suffer any injury. Police Report is due to send to VW HQ Customer care.

This process took way too long to solve. I had divorced and changed my name before the recall started. In filling out the many pages required by VW, a question was have you had a name change. Oh! I wish I hadnt said yes. I sent proof of name change with an ID. My drivers license. This set me back a month or more with getting my paperwork done. No one had enough common sense to know how to handle a name change. One CS said I needed a proof of a marriage certificate. What??? Marriage certificate, I said, I was divorced. People, I was on the phone for 2 hours and 15 minutes wanting to know how to resolve how to show another way to prove my name change. I sent a copy of the page in my divorce papers that proved my name change. This was not enough. I had to send my whole divorce decree. In my opinion Thats not their business but I sent it anyway thinking I would finally get my appt for the buyback. Two weeks later I was finally approved and then was sent a calendar to make appt. The first available day was another month wait. Ridiculous! Then I found out that the buyback check will be five business days after the appt before depositing. So I asked if a car would be provided for me the five to seven days that I would be without transportation. No! Was the answer. Who does this? I dont have a second car. This whole thing has been very stressful. I will never buy a VW again. Good riddance.

Everyone’s opinion and experience with VW is absolutely true. AS I was shopping for a new car I did my research on all the cars I was interested in. I came across reviews for VW they were all negative. I took in reviews into consideration, however, I thought to myself that some people just like to complain. My bad y’all. I should have listened and ran the other way. This unethical company is the scums of scums. I bought a brand new 2018 GTI in July of this year. I was treated very very poorly at David Maus VW South. They even charged me for a $600 package that’s suppose to be free, all because the car was transferred from their sister lot David Maus on LEE Rd. A few days after having the car the visor underneath the sunroof retracts on its own. I constantly have to keep pulling it forward, warning light came on saying it cannot detect the key fob. Mind you the key fob is in the cup holder. As of 09/19/2018 the “one touch feature that opens the sunroof stop working. Now I have to open the sunroof manually. Ok y’all so how bout I’m driving on 2 separate occasions when I press the break the lights flicker and the car shuts off!! So in conclusion VW are unethical, criminals, and soon they will be labeled as MURDERS. How can I feel safe in my car when ** like this is happening. DO NOT BUY A VW. If you choose not to listen you might be righting a review like the rest of us.

The car looks great on the outside, the inside as well. Very comfortable car and spacious. The drive is smooth and affordable in gas. Its not a big SUV and not too small. Enough room to fit 5 people and a large trunk. Very happy with the design of the vehicle. As for the engine, I did have a few issues. Instead of a timing belt its a chain which needs to be changed and very costly. The pieces are ok in price but had to add some extra money on top of my payments. That was the downfall of this purchase.

I hit a small deer one month ago (drivers side light, hood, quarter panel). The insurance paid for the body work, but not for a spastic, drivers side door. The car (VW 2002 Golf TDI) thinks the door is open all the time and alerts me. When I turn on the lights at night, the alert screams at me. The dealership, which Allstate Insurance made me tow the car to, says this happens to the door all the time even if you hit a pothole and jar the car. The dealership is a 3-hr round trip from where I live and there is a certified VW mechanic in the next town from me, but Allstate wouldnt let me take it there. I told the adjuster and dealership that nothing was wrong before the accident, but they say it is something that happens on VWs a lot. Why isnt there a recall on this if it is so prevalent. And if hitting a pothole could cause this problem, why wouldnt an accident do so also? I will never buy another VW. I have put a lot of money into this car (VW maintenance costs a lot!). Its a 2002 model, but I had a Honda that I drove for 20 years before any major money had to put into it. This has been a nightmare not having a car for a month and living in a rural area.

Another transmission problem occurring right now. The VW Customer Service people are rude and rarely helpful. I bought this car for my 62-year-old wife and have had nothing but problems. This is without a doubt the worst car experience we have ever had and I would encourage everyone to stay away from VW. This company is terrible at handling issues and builds cars that are unreliable. I have had all of these issue happen in the first 5,000 miles she has driven the car. My wife is scared to take the car anywhere for fear that it will breakdown. I have owned over my lifetime no fewer than five Volkswagen/Audi automobiles: my first, a 1960 VW Beetle; a 1999 Cabrio; a 2003 Jetta; a 2003 Audi A3; and most recently, my last, a 2008 convertible bug I bought in the aftermarket as a first vehicle for my youngest child. Routinely, but most unfortunately, a headlight went out on the car. My daughter dutifully and naively went to an automotive parts store and purchased a replacement bulb, at my instruction. With replacement bulb in hand, my husband examined the cars headlight assembly and swiftly threw his hands up in the air, as did two local service mechanics. Thus, I was forced to send her to our local dealership in West Nyack, NY - Palisades Volkswagen, where I was charged for Volkswagens inane engineering the staggering sum of... wait for it... drum roll please... ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FOUR DOLLARS AND SIXTY EIGHT CENTS ($164.68)!!! You heard right. How on earth can Volkswagen expect its loyal consumer to happily absorb the cost of what is obviously a serious design flaw and expect that customer to ever purchase one of their poorly designed cars ever again? So I bought a 09 golf in the UK 2 years ago with HID headlights in it (plug & play). I then realised they are bad for the car. I then had an issue with my indicator it would not turn off so was advised the body control module needed to be replaced. Volkswagen quoted me about €180 for diagnostic and whatever extra to get fixed (about €300) for new BCM. Had to get the keys recoded €75 and paid the 180 for the diagnostic and only coded one key. On top of this the diagnostic didnt work because the BCM was not correct. They told me to come back with a bcm from the same year and mark golf for it to work correctly. Asked could I book in a couple months later and keep it on site overnight to avoid taking time off work. We dont do that. After arranging work around the date I booked I Got Another BCM. This time the correct one with same part number. Back in today and could not pair either key and said I have to buy one direct for about €300 plus fitting but before that need to charge me €185 just to make sure this is the issue (again, as if its magically going to work the second time around). Collected it today and I was told neither key had been coded and I still have to pay the €45 because they wasted their time. This garage has disgraceful customer service and robbery for nothing. I will never in my life again buy Volkswagen and make sure none of my friends or family do. Each time I came into the showroom I spend 10 minutes before someone helps me and seems to think its acceptable to speak down to me. You dont take money off someone for a 5 minute key coding job you could not complete. Also not to Advise an alternative option of replacing a bcm that might not be the issue but in the end will charge me just to be sure. Back to square one but -€305. I also questioned why I paid more the last time to code the keys and I got no reply.

I purchased a 2013 Volkswagen Passat in February 2013 which just turned three years old. I have had several recalls and none have become available. The warranty on this vehicle has just run out and I am having some of the same problems with the brakes while the car was under warranty. I am also having issues with the door locks. Whenever I stop at a traffic light or stop sign, the doors lock each time. I can hear the clicking. I took the vehicle into Napletons which is located in Champaign, and I was told that it would cost me $457.00. Of course I was upset. I then asked for the contact information for Volkswagens Customer Care and I ended up getting a number online.I began this call 1 hours 12 minutes and 30 seconds ago. No one has picked up the call yet. I am not sure why I am having these issues after the warranty ended. I plan on writing a letter. Lets see how that turns out. I would say to you, if you choose to purchase one of these vehicles to ensure that everything is covered by having the service department at your dealership check it and document it. I have no intentions of paying Napletons $457 to repair a problem that they should fix for free. If I have to pay, I will take it to another dealership to get it repaired. I will definitely think again before I purchase another VW.

Last night, my husband and I went to Ford to trade in our leased VW CC for a new car. The lease was supposed to be up in May. I was quoted a payoff amount of $15,500 by VW. The deal with Ford was made late at night when VW Credit was already closed. Ford agreed to pay off the lease, and we made the deal with the new car. The purchase with Ford was very easy and smooth.Ford called VW this morning to confirm the payoff amount, and VW added an additional $2000! Apparently, the 6 payments that were supposed to be due until the end of the lease, which was supposed to be in May, were not included in the payoff amount. How can that make sense? Payoff means final amount to completely pay off a car. So we had to pay an additional $2000 because VW Credit gave us the wrong payoff amount. Then they changed their story and said its a termination fee. $2000 termination fee? Are they serious? Never again will we ever return to VW for any future cars. They just lost 2 loyal clients due to their cheapness and carelessness!

VW CC owner - VW customer care is by far the worst customer service I have ever received. I have 3 recalls on my car. The horn and steering controls don’t work because of the clock spring recall. The dealer only fixes the air bar but not the rest. So after the “work” was done my horn still doesn’t work and VW somehow doesn’t see how not being able to honk a horn in traffic is a safety issue especially if someone is about to hit me. I was also told that I would get a refund for a tow I had due to the fuel pump module recall. VW doesn’t offer refunds on that unless my mileage qualifies me. So 100$ gone due to their ** ups. I am selling the car after driving it for just one week after I bought it, or course I have to fix the transmission first. I will never buy a VW again.

We bought a Jetta TDI back in 2014. Car was mostly good except for the 2 times the electronics disengaged from the engine and shut the car down putting me on the side of the road. But the buy-back has been horrendous. We signed up for the early lease termination. Considering it was August when we started and our lease ended in January we thought might as well. Well it took till mid-January to finalize everything and I couldnt get an turn in appointment till after the lease ended. So I called and confirmed I could just turn it in. Afterwards I called again and said, I turned it in, what now? I was told our check would be sent out within 3 business days. Nothing for over a week. Call again. They said they would look into it, but never was called back. Finally today got a hold of someone. We now have to start the entire process over again because we turned the car in without an appointment through the Claims Department. Everything completed and filled out worthless. We have to start the entire process over. Doesnt matter all the paperwork will be the same, we have to do it over. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told one could get back to me in 72 hours, that all I could do is start over. 5 months to get to here doing everything they asked and we get to start over because they took forever with the process? The compensation check is the same amount even and who cares if the car was turned in without an appointment with Claims? We turned it into the same place we would have regardless, hell even the same person. Kierra in Customer Service, you mean, unhelpful **, I hope your karma gets you. I will never buy another car from VW in my life. I hope this company goes under. Its the worst company Ive ever dealt with.

I have a 2013 VW Jetta TDI which I love. Recently, back in July, the fuel pump went. I had my car towed to VW Service in a town near me to get the problem diagnosed (even though I knew what it was) and to get warranty work performed. This process took 30 days! My car was in the service department for a MONTH! This is unacceptable. They first had to order a fuel kit, then extract fuel, send the fuel to a 3rd party, wait to get the fuel back. Decide if it was covered by VW under powertrain warranty, then order the parts for the fuel pump. First of all, this car has less than 40,000 miles. I was so irritated. I wrote to the dealer & corporate and they both said this is the process so thats that. Thats insane! I dont care about my loaner car, I spent more in gasoline in a month than I normally would. What a joke. Thinking about trading this car in before more things go wrong and they have to keep it for another month.

We have been a customer for 20 years. We purchased a VW Jetta in 2015. We have not had too many issues with the car. However, when coming back from vacation with 2 children in the car and we had a blowout at 9 pm on 64 E in Virginia. I pulled over to the side of the road, I then removed everything from the trunk to get to the spare tire. After pulling out the jack, and tire out of the car, I noticed there is no lug wrench. We called VW roadside assistance which dispatched a tow truck that I arrived 45 minutes later. We had the vehicle towed to our home which cost me $211.00. I went to VW the next morning to explain what happened and their sales manager said: Well you bought the car 4 years ago. It not our problem.I called customer service to file a complaint and received a callback and stated they are not going to do anything because the car was four years old. The sales manager was uncaring and did not even seem to care. I asked to speak to the GM and he stated he wont be in for 30 - 60 minutes. I waited to speak to the GM but never got to speak with him but was told they were not going to assist us with the tow cost. They would of if I had towed the car to their dealership. I said I had 4 people in the car (2 children) as well as a lot of luggage. After 20 years of faithful service with the company they did not care about their customers, they are only out for the money. As of today, I will NEVER BUY A VW again or recommended the dealership/company again. So much for Southern Hospitality.

I would rate my experience minus stars if you had such a thing. From the day I bought the car I was no longer important to the Tracy Volkswagen Dealership. They didnt have enough time to go over all the details of this new car and said we could have more time on the coming Sat. They never called. When I called them with problems of charging it, they told me they were on vacation, but if you come in I can give you a little time. When I asked about problems with Barnstable free chargers around Hyannis they didnt know why I couldnt charge on them. Said they would check it out. They never did. After a month of trying to figure it out myself I gave up and took it back. They wanted me to go the lemon law route. I told them I thought it was damaged and that they knew about it. That would be fraud to do the lemon law. I ended up paying them a total of over $5,000.00 to get out of the lease. The Corporate VW was no better. They had nothing to say to me, even though they had me fill out a survey for their company. I sent them letters, all the information and copies of everything and nothing. Im warning you, do not buy from Tracy Volkswagen in Hyannis Ma.

After an oil change a few years ago, my 2000 VW Passats stop engine light came on. I immediately pulled over and turned off the car. We had the car towed to the dealer, where they diagnosed it as needing a new oil pump due to the sludge problem. There was no class action lawsuit at that time. When we were later notified of the lawsuit, we submitted the paperwork with all of the maintenance records. VW still did not pay. They took all of the info and said that they needed more because the VW dealer did not indicate on the repair bill that the problem was due to sludge. I wrote and also verbally told the people handling the class action suit that the dealer had told me that it was due to sludge, but that did not seem to matter. This is all bogus. Although I really love the car, I will not ever buy another VW seeing as this is how they do business. I am disgusted by this experience.

Almost immediately the car started breaking down. We have almost completely rebuilt the car by replacing the battery several times, the computer system, fuel injection system, transmission and now tire sensors. I ordered an ignition switch from this dealer on August 25, 2015. The salespeople were friendly and helpful, letting me know that the part would be available in two weeks. When I called, the salesperson told me it would be another week. When I called again, he told me that they would let me know when the part came in so there was no need to call. I called again at the four-week mark and was put on hold for several minutes. When the salesman finally got back on the line, he explained to me that there had been a glitch in the system on the day I ordered and that it would be at least two more weeks. When I got upset and said that it sounded like he was covering for someone who had messed up, the response was, Yes, maam. Im not sure what he was acknowledging. Needless to say, it is two weeks later and I still dont have the part. So my cute, little Beetle that I am still paying for is sitting in my garage and I cannot get the dealer to come through. Oh, and by the way, the part was prepaid because it is VIN specific and they wont order without payment.

Faulty seat recliner - I have owned a new Gold Cabriolette for nearly a year now. I love it, except for one repetitive and irritating fault - the seat release to swing the seat forward to move so you can access the rear seats is made of a plastic material attached to a metal shaft that releases the seat mechanism. The connection between the plastic handle and the metal shaft is continually breaking. When this occurs, you cannot access the rear seats as the seats will not move. You must return again and again to have VW dealer reattach the handle to shaft. What an absurd mechanism. Why cant they have one metal handle shaft that does not break every time you touch it?

My five years old 2011 VW Tiguan had two major mechanical problems. One problem with the fuel injection was fixed for free because of the recall. Another problem was the antifreeze leak that would cost me more than $3K to fix. That made me decide to trade it in for the reliable Volvo. One week after giving away Tiguan, the second car made by VW Jetta Sport Wagon 2013 didnt start. The dealership diagnosed sensor problem that can be fixed for only $300. After few hours they call us back (probably thought they didnt ripped us off enough) and told us that the computer is broken and need to be replaced. It will be another $1600 + $300 for the sensor that might be broken or not. We are very scared to hear from those VW people tomorrow. The car is very expensive and in the hands of people we dont trust who keep finding wrong things with very costly parts. I already told my sad story everyone I know. At this point we used to have two new cars and ended up with nothing just because we shopped at VW. I hope people learn from our mistake and that VW manufacturing stop producing these very expensive but so below lowest quality cars.

After being a loyal customer for 10 years, the company refuses to cover an P2015 Intake Manifold Runner Sensor Engine issue covered by an extended warranty if the vehicle is 120K miles or less and within the 10-year warranty. My engine light alerted me on 10-23-20. So, over the weekend I had the codes ran at AutoZone which identified the problem. On Monday 10-26-20 I called my local dealer and they informed me of the extended warranty stating I was merely 6 business days outside of the 10 year requirement but well under mileage at 92K. They suggested I call VW corporate to get this approved. I spoke with a very nice lady and then her boss and despite their professionalism, they refuse to work with me to help get this fixed. They said they simply cannot go beyond the 10 years even if it is a few days and mileage is well under. This is a VW part issue, not something user caused. Needless to say, this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth that rigidity and greed come before flexibility & doing what is right, especially during these times. This organization seems to lack compassion and the know-how of retaining long term loyal customers relationships & viewing each situation and customer as valuable.

We purchased a new Volkswagen CC R-line in 2012. We followed the recommended service for it, which said 10,000 miles, or once a year. Each year they have rotated the tires and recommended alignment, at extra cost, which we did. Several weeks ago we took the car in for its third service with just over 30,000 miles, and they told us we needed new tires due to excessive cupping of the tires. We never expected to have to replace tires at 30,000 miles and asked the service manager, and technician why this occurred. They said it was obviously out of alignment and thats why it happened. Now, after reading numerous complaints about this issue online about this very same car and people being quoted as being told by some VW service people that the car actually needs alignment every 3,000 miles and more frequent tire rotation, maybe every 3,000 to 5,00 miles, we are wondering why VW is not getting this message out to consumers of this product. It could be a safety issue, when they are not telling us that the cupping occurs, and the tires are worn, especially as you are riding on a low profile tire to begin with. We replaced the tires with Continentals after they presented us with 3 tire options. They specifically told us All 3 choices are good tires. One week after the tire replacements, we were riding down a street near home and the tire light came on for the front passenger side tire, and the pressure began steadily going down. Luckily we were very close to home, and after pulling in the driveway, we could hear the air escaping the tire, flattening it completely within an hour. So we are calling VW tomorrow. No damage occurred to this tire, its brand new, and we wonder whats going on.It cost us over $1000 for these new tires. The car only had 30,000 miles on it!!! After looking at all the brand new tires, we are noticing they have all started turning a dark gray color in large areas of the rubber, in the week that we have had them. We plan on getting the car back to Volkswagen as soon as possible, but were unable to put the spare on, since apparently they forgot to replace the tools in our trunk which are necessary to change the tire to the spare, when they recently replaced the tires. We know no damage occurred to this car. Now we are reading about problems with Continental tires online as well. So why did they recommend the continental tires to us? So WV has not been forthcoming with info on this car to us or many other consumers, relating to cupped tire issues which may be avoided with a different maintenance protocol for the original tires (more frequent rotations, and alignment twice a year??) and then they recommend replacing them with perhaps a suspect tire? AND, after recommending replacing, they didnt tell us that the issue could have been avoided, because they want to stick to the illusion they have created to customers that these cars are good to go, once a year service, and you are done!! They totally acted like we were the only customer who had had this problem. Well, consumer sites on the internet tell the story, and its not a new one. VW needs to step up and start telling people the defect that exists with the RR C-line, and that it affects EVERYONE!

We purchased a 2012 VW CC in May of 2012. The car was used and had approx. 18,000 miles at time of purchase, currently the car has 72,000. We had routine oil changes done (more than required by VW) and service to our vehicle. In 2014 at 51,000 miles our 2012 VW CC needed a new engine. We took it to a VW dealer and had the engine replaced. At the time of engine replacement, it was RECOMMENDED not included in our engine replacement that a transmission oil change may be needed. This information was not pressing in its delivery as other additional services were provided and included at time of engine replacement this was not. At the time of engine replacement the mileage was 12,000 miles over the recommended oil transmission change which was at 40,000 miles. Our car is currently at a VW dealer who is stating negligence on our part after ONE missed oil transmission change. We were quoted $5,500 to replace transmission on a car that will be three years old to us May 27, 2015. What options exist? Smells like a lemon.

I bought a VW Tiguan in Dec. 2019, top of the line with bells and whistles. About 14,000 Km after, when I took it for the 15k km service, I asked them to have a look at the brakes as theyve started to make some noise. They said the brakes overheat, the metal is blue (sign of overheating) and they theyll need to be replaced. $1,500 invoice. They said the warranty doesnt want to cover it as it is a consumable. I know that the warranty doesnt cover consumables (oil, filters, brake pads etc), but this is the first car I have to change the brakes under 60,000 - 80,000 Km. I love my cars and I look after them, but I see this as a factory defect, not a user error.I would like to clarify something: Ive owned and drove multiple cars along the years. Im a car guy, I love cars. I bought the Tiguan for my wife, but I drove it 90% of the time due to some circumstances. I had multiple German cars, Japanese and American cars over the years. Just so you know, Im not looking for any freebies, discounts or anything like that. Just want the manufacturer and representatives to stand behind their claims and contracts. The dealer cant change them on warranty, theyve submitted pictures and technical reports to VW Canada but theyve rejected any warranty claims. Ive called them directly to talk about the situation, theyve opened another case and VW Canada said theyll get back to me in 48 hours. Few days later I called them again as I didnt hear anything from them. They said another 48 hours...This becomes a joke, they throw the blame from one to the other and together to the put it in the owners lap to pay it. The warranty is a shame, they make the best to get out of replacing faulty parts or repair them stating its user fault. I start to have doubts about the parts reliability and warranty, at least not in North America. Unless you have a blown engine in less than 1,000 Km, they wont cover anything, and even then, they might say youve done something wrong to it or looked in the mirror the wrong way.

2012 Volkswagen EOS - I purchased this car used in Daytona Beach near the end of April 2017. Around September 9, the automatic transmission started slipping and clunking into gear. I brought it into the Volkswagen dealership. They looked at the transmission and told me that the transmission fluid had metal shavings. Of course they didnt know why. And because it has 64,000 miles (warranty is 60,000) I would have to pay for a new transmission. For parts and labor, $7,100! I bought it for $12,000 and it only books for $11,000. I called Volkswagen headquarters and one question they asked was, “Is this your first Volkswagen?” Anyway they got back to me and said nothing we can do for you. I have taken my 2008 VW Jetta 2.0T to the dealer 4 or 5 times due to a hard-starting issue when the engine is cold. I spoke with a VW tech and told him what was happening and he said, Yes, that’s a bad fuel pump. I asked if he can please repair it now and he replied, Unless the computer on the car tells us what’s wrong, we cant do anything. A few weeks later, a service advisor called me from David Maus VW and told me that they had another VW Jetta with a 2.0T engine that had the same issues and they replaced the fuel pump and that fixed the problem. I asked why VW won’t replace the fuel pump in my car. He said, If we cant reproduce it, we cant fix it. I still have warranty and VW is giving me issues. To top this all off, VW says the seal around my headlight is bad and is allowing moisture in the headlight. They said that would cost me $589.15 to do that repair for the headlight. I asked why it would cost me anything when the car is still under warranty. His reply, VW doesn’t cover seals under warranty.

This was a part of the car that should not fail. I only have 63,000 miles on the car. I have kept it parked in garages both at home and work. The climate is only humid in Georgia in the summer, this isnt Florida or Hawaii. There is no reason this piece should fail. I contacted VW and they outright REFUSED to give me anything towards this repair. They claim my car is too old. SEVEN years is TOO OLD?!? So they expect their customers to replace their cars every 5 years or something? Thats absurd. Ive taken good care of my car this entire time. I planned on it lasting another 3 years and they wont cover a $600 repair? Nope. They would rather lose the 25K purchase they would have gotten from me for my next car. Good riddance VW.

I would have thought that Volkswagen would have learned from their mistakes
I would have thought that Volkswagen would have learned from their mistakes and lies that caused them humiliation and tarnished their repute and customer loyalty. I thought VW is sincere to fix this emission issue and work with impacted consumers. I suffered twice by this VW fraud, first after knowing that I had been polluting the air and destroying our environment by driving my 2012 Passat TDI, and then not been able to use the car for months as it failed SMOG test. I was hoping to get rid of it after the court settlement, but I got into an accident and car got totaled. But unfortunately, due to the diesel emission fraud the car resale value went so low and I literally got 1/3 of the original price I paid, which was not enough to even buy a decent used car.I was hoping that upon VW fraud case settlement, I should be compensated for the balance, but after such a long wait, I found out that the registration for the fraud claim I did in October/November 2015 was not sufficient and I had to submit another claim for which the deadline was September 2016!!! When I didnt hear from VW on the claim and what are the next steps for me, I was told that I was supposed to sign a different claim (not the goodwill claim, that I signed up). As I had not submitted another claim, I am not eligible for the VW settlement Claim anymore!!! This is really sad and BAD customer service. I called their customer service team, who was not able to assist me with this and Im not going to get anything for this fraud that they committed. They asked me to call their legal team to address the issue. After leaving multiple messages, I received call from Casey **, who told me the same that I missed the deadline to apply to be eligible for claim and theres nothing that can be done now. Im very disappointed and disgusted by this whole ordeal by such a reputable organization (at one point), they lied, and screwed up big time, and now cutting corners to avoid paying consumers. In this entire ordeal, I learned my lesson and for sure will never buy another car from VW, Audi or whoever theyre affiliated with. Volkswagen still cheating with consumers on emission. VW management shame on you!!!

I purchased my 2009 Volkswagen cc at 72000 miles on November 2014. The same day I drove home I had a CEL turn on and off, I took it back, and the dealer changed 1 coil wire that was about to go bad. Thanks. Soon after (month later), my fuel pump and fuel pump module went out. I called and they said, No warranty. I went and purchased, 650 dollars with installation at brother in laws shop. Cheaper than dealer by $500. Then at 112000 miles my transmission went out. No warranty of course. That was 5k to replace and install. This was in March 2016. In April my fuel injector was misfiring. Replaced all injectors. Then in March 2017 my throttle body went out. No help all this time from VW group of America. Worthless to be honest. Now in October 2017 my fan went unbalanced. No more VW for me EVER!!!

The windshield on my Beetle with 4700 miles spontaneously cracked overnight
The windshield on my Beetle with 4700 miles spontaneously cracked overnight, with no previous stone chips, car crashes or pothole collisions. The break is an obvious stress fracture, coming from the side of the glass and extending into the windshield. Customer Care first said that all defects, including glass are covered. The dealership where I brought the car (who was not really interested in the problem and assumed it was a stone chip before I even brought the car in) sent in some cell phone pictures, and some local supervisor later denied the claim. VW Customer Care refused to tell me who he is or how he made the determination. They told me to go to my insurance company and that they couldnt do anything for me. This was my first VW and it will certainly be my last!

My Jetta was repossessed 3 weeks ago. I found out that they had misplaced my payment so they thought that I had never paid. So today they repossessed it again. They were slightly apologetic the last time and they realized it was their fault and towed my car back to my house the next day. To restart my account, I was told I can only pay through MoneyGram. So I found out today that MoneyGram never processed my payment, so hence the repeat repossession. If they could just take my payment right there and then through the phone, there wouldnt be this headache. Its a Sunday, Veterans Day, and my car has Marine Corps stickers since Im a veteran and they have given me my worst Veterans Day ever.

The first day I drove my new 2019 Tiguan SEL home, I opened the passenger driver-side door and the handle got stuck and would not go back in...Made an appointment for 2-days later to get this fixed. During the 2-day waiting period, I was stopped in a turning lane on a four-lane, lighted road to make a u-turn. When I hit the gas pedal to go the car jerked forward, and went to a standstill for about 5-seconds while my foot was firmly pressing the gas pedal. This caused the two oncoming vehicles to have to screech to a stop; and the vehicle in the middle lane had to swerve to avoid hitting me and spin out. When the Tiguan started moving forward, I had to pull over because I was shaking. The same issue happened again the next day, but no oncoming cars were in sight.Went in for the door appointment, I told the service rep about engine and asked to speak to a manager. An assistant manager came out, I told him about the engine, and he respond thats a VW and gave me a hug and two free t-shirts. New door handle had to be ordered due to corrosion, had to come back 3-days later to have it fixed. During those 3-days, the passenger seat seat belt warning sound started randomly going off, along with the airbag light flashing above the hazard light when my handbag was on the seat. Reported that and the engine issue again at next appointment. Had to leave the car for two days...At pick-up was told everything was tested fine, but VW did not bother to test the seat sensor. Was instructed to not put anything on the passenger seat, as stated in the cars manual.I was in tears telling VW of Naples dealership that I felt totally unsafe but they would not help me get another vehicle and told me to get back into this vehicle. So I contacted Volkswagen corporate to request a new vehicle, or to let me out of my lease...Denied. Both VW corporate and Naples, FL dealership did not care about my safety at all, nor that I was obviously an unhappy customer. Money should never come before safety, so I paid to get out of my lease. This is a deadly safety issue.

I bought my used 2009 Tiguan with 30,000 miles on it. At 46,000 miles the engine light came on. At the same time, my gas cap, stopped clicking when I tightened it. The local VW dealer says it is a water pump problem which they quoted as an $1100 repair. I replaced the gas cap, the engine light comes on and goes off for weeks at a time. Do I believe the dealership mechanics or go elsewhere?

Have a 2009 VW CC VR6, in 2011 had to replace the steering rack and now in 2014 needs another one? This is very uncommon and not normal. VW should pay for the repair. There are comments all over the Web on similar issues. How could this be the consumers fault?

I own a Volkswagen Touareg and during a rainstorm, water drained into the fuse box and destroyed the system circuit. VW is claiming it is not a recall therefore, they will not repair the damage. The service dept told me there had been another VW in their shop two months prior with the same problem and it cost that owner $7,000. My cost is $15,000+. Why is it auto manufacturers do not have to stand by their products? If I sold a product that was defective, I would have to fix it or replace it. As a consumer, I am very dissatisfied and angry that I should have to pay for a manufacturing defect they know exists and refuses to fix it.

2013 Volkswagen Passat TDI - Had this car for one and a half years. The check engine light recently popped up, and it hurts to say that I had to pay $1,300 to fix the issue that I had. It seems like a lot of people had the same problem, which is kind of BS for this to be happening so soon. I wish they would recall this AdBlue heater problem since VW has recalled about everything else!

They sold a faulty truck. Wow. Where do I begin? Ok let me start by saying my husband and I bought from a Volkswagen dealer because of the Volkswagen good representation of being honest and of quality. Well in our situation that wasnt the case. The dealer we bought from sold us a 25k used truck with a faulty engine. Unfortunately we bought from Texas so there is no lemon law. I will never deal or recommend Volkswagen ever again. It seems like they dont care about the products they sell just the money they make.

I purchased a new 2010 Golf TDI a few years ago. My first VW ever after owning everything from Mercedes to Scion. Ive been impressed by the comfort, performance, and fuel mileage. My problem started about six months ago when, without warning, the car failed to start. Checked all typical causes with no success. After the cost and inconvenience of a tow to the dealership it sat there for several days. They were unable to find the cause of the problem as it started for them. They charged me $105 for the privilege of doing nothing.Fast forward to a few days ago, exactly the same symptoms as before, no start. Towed to the dealership an entire day wasted waiting. The car gets to the dealership and the mechanic goes to look at it and it starts.... Car is at dealership for several days again and the service manager eventually tells me they cant duplicate the problem and cant do anything more.By this point Im furious and call VW USA Customer Care, several phone calls later they essentially tell me the same thing, sorry cant help. So I have a car in the garage Im afraid to drive because of the likelihood of being stranded yet again. I will NEVER buy another VW product; Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Ducati, etc.Heres the totally unacceptable response I received after posting to VW USA Facebook page: Were very sorry to hear about your experience, and we apologize that we were unable to meet your expectations. Should you experience any further concerns with your Golf and visit your local VW dealer for inspection, please dont hesitate to reach out to us again.

Purchased a 2012 Tiguan less than a year ago at 58K. From day 1 there have been constant oil leaks all year. I took it back to the dealer repeatedly. Oil leaks continued. A couple weeks ago I paid an $1800 bill for a rear main oil seal leak. VW refused to reimburse me because they said there was no recall on it and its past warranty. I know for a fact this is a consistent problem for this year and model and it should be under recall not to mention it started when it was under 60K. I am very unhappy and want to be reimbursed for the repair due to a faulty product. I wont stop until its reimbursed.

My Clock Spring 2011 Tiguan broke about 6 months ago, I put the repair on hold, my mileage was about 109K, I have receipt from my mechanic for the 120$ I paid him to figure out what was wrong. VW has issued an extended warranty on this to 120K (IMO should be a recall), I moved so I did not receive the notice until 120,300 miles. Even with proof that it broke before and so close to the warranty date they will not honor... Seriously its the 5th VW I have owned, with all of their issues you would think they would be trying to build customer base, not alienating. This is just not right.
