2026 Mercedes-AMG GLC-Class

The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLC-Class is a high-performance luxury SUV that blends AMG engineering with the comfort, technology, and practicality of the popular GLC platform. It delivers strong acceleration, sharp handling, and premium refinement while remaining suitable for daily driving and family use.

Overview and Positioning.
The 2026 AMG GLC-Class sits above the standard GLC models as the performance-oriented version of Mercedes-Benz’s midsize luxury SUV. It is designed for buyers who want the utility and comfort of an SUV combined with the driving excitement expected from AMG.

The AMG GLC lineup typically includes the GLC 43 and the more powerful GLC 63 S E Performance. These models provide different levels of performance, ranging from sporty daily driving to near supercar-level acceleration.

Design and Exterior.
The AMG GLC-Class features a more aggressive and athletic design than the standard GLC.

AMG-specific styling includes a distinctive grille, larger air intakes, sculpted bumpers, and wider wheels. Quad exhaust outlets and aerodynamic enhancements reinforce its performance-focused identity.

The body design remains elegant and modern while adding a more muscular stance. The SUV proportions provide practicality without sacrificing sporty appearance.

Interior and Comfort.
Inside, the AMG GLC-Class offers a premium and technology-focused cabin.

High-quality materials such as leather, aluminum, and available carbon fiber trim create an upscale environment. AMG-specific elements include sport seats, a performance steering wheel, and unique digital displays.

The interior features a large central touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster with customizable layouts, including performance information and driving data.

Seating is comfortable and supportive, making the vehicle suitable for both spirited driving and long-distance travel. Rear-seat space is generous for passengers, and overall cabin comfort is excellent.

Powertrain and Performance.
The 2026 AMG GLC-Class offers multiple performance levels.

GLC 43.
Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with mild hybrid assistance, producing around 416 horsepower. It delivers strong acceleration and responsive performance while maintaining reasonable efficiency.

GLC 63 S E Performance.
Uses a plug-in hybrid system combining a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor, producing approximately 671 horsepower. This makes it one of the most powerful SUVs in its segment.

Both models use AMG-tuned all-wheel-drive systems and performance-oriented automatic transmissions.

Acceleration is extremely quick, especially in the GLC 63 S E Performance, which can rival some sports cars in straight-line speed.

Driving Experience.
The AMG GLC-Class delivers a sporty and engaging driving experience despite its SUV shape.

The suspension is adaptive, allowing drivers to switch between comfort and sport-focused driving modes. In comfort settings, the ride is smooth and refined. In sport modes, the suspension becomes firmer and handling sharpens noticeably.

Steering is responsive, and AMG tuning reduces body roll during aggressive cornering. The all-wheel-drive system enhances traction and stability in various weather conditions.

The hybrid systems also improve low-speed responsiveness by adding instant electric torque.

Technology and Features.
The 2026 AMG GLC-Class includes advanced technology throughout.

The infotainment system supports smartphone integration, navigation, voice controls, and customizable displays. AMG-specific performance screens provide data such as lap times, power delivery, and hybrid system information.

Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, and automatic emergency braking.

Additional luxury features may include ambient lighting, premium audio systems, heated and ventilated seats, and panoramic roof options.

Practicality and Cargo Space.
The GLC-Class remains highly practical for everyday use.

It seats five passengers comfortably and offers a spacious cargo area suitable for luggage, groceries, or sports equipment. Folding rear seats expand cargo capacity further.

Its midsize dimensions make it manageable in urban environments while still offering enough space for family use.

Fuel Efficiency and Electrification.
Fuel economy varies depending on the model.

The mild hybrid GLC 43 offers moderate efficiency for a performance SUV, while the plug-in hybrid GLC 63 S can provide limited electric-only driving for short distances.

The hybrid systems are designed primarily to improve performance, though they also contribute to reduced fuel consumption compared to traditional high-performance V8 models.

Pricing and Positioning.
The AMG GLC-Class is positioned in the premium performance SUV segment.

Pricing generally starts around the mid-70,000 dollar range for the GLC 43 and rises significantly for the GLC 63 S E Performance with options.

It competes with other high-performance luxury SUVs while offering a strong balance of performance, comfort, and technology.

Pros.
Strong performance across all trims.
Advanced hybrid-assisted powertrains.
Luxurious and spacious interior.
All-wheel drive improves year-round usability.
Excellent blend of comfort and sportiness.

Cons.
Higher trims can become very expensive.
Hybrid systems add complexity and weight.
Four-cylinder engines may lack traditional AMG sound character.
Fuel economy remains moderate in high-performance models.

Final Thoughts.
The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLC-Class successfully combines luxury SUV practicality with serious performance capability. Whether in GLC 43 or GLC 63 S form, it offers strong acceleration, modern technology, and refined comfort in a versatile package.

I have solid proof that my Mercedes was illegally tampered with by one of the dealerships in my hometown. I can prove that the dealership set me up to have my car malfunction and killed the battery to 4.2 volts, leaving me with a dead car that same day. The following day (if I had not been fortunate enough to have my engineer buddies jump my car for me), the dealer would have had a window of opportunity to charge me with repairs that were unnecessary. There are records that I can indicate that my car was still in good condition after my car was charged by up. There are many details and facts that I would be gladly present to all who wants listen.

GKL250 Bluetec and tires - I believe I need to bring this to everyones attention and would welcome a response from Mercedes Benz on this one. I have already written a complaint but they dont seem to be too keen on responding in an acceptable manner. I am a female who lives in Western Canada and our nearest MB dealership is 120 kms away. I bought this car, ex-demo with 1500 kms on it. About a month after I got the car, the run flat indicator came up telling me to check the tire pressure. I noticed that the rear driver side tire was down, so I pumped it up again and reset the indicator inside. A few days later, it happened again but this time went completely flat because I had been driving on it. It was on a Sunday.I called Mercedes Benz helpline and the lady at the other end told me that I had run flat tires on my car and this means I wont have a spare tire but I can still drive up to 80 kms an hour on the tire and take it into my nearest dealership which would be Vancouver (120 kms away). I explained to her that there is no way I could do this as the rim was now sitting on the tire. After a lot of back talk, I finally convinced her this wasnt possible, so she organized a tow truck to come and pick the car up and take it down to Vancouver (at MB cost). The tow truck left a huge black line on my driveway where the rim of the tire had scraped into the tire itself when putting it on the ramp. The next day, Monday, I had a bunch of appointments that I had to re-schedule, so that I could take the bus to Vancouver to pick my car up. I arrive at the dealership and I am informed that the tire could not be saved and was presented with a bill of $575. I questioned why it was this expensive and they said thats what run flats cost. This week, 5 months later, the run flat indicator came back on and I noticed a nail in one of the tires. I took it to my local garage who managed to fix it for $23.99. I asked them how much they would charge for run flats and they said that I dont have run flats on my car and that they are regular all season tires and they would charge for a good tire between $250-$275.As you can imagine, I am not very happy on a number of levels and particularly as I have regular tires and dont have a spare in my car. I referred this complaint to the dealership and was merely told that I have a compressor in the back of my car and I can easily pump it up. This is not acceptable. If the tire had blown out making it totally undriveable and I was in one of the many areas throughout BC that has no cell phone service, what would I do? I can change a regular tire if I had one but in this case, I would be totally stranded! As far as I can tell, this is a big issue that needs to be resolved by MB and I am hoping that they do the decent thing and follow up and to safeguard other owners of these cars.

I bought a 2003 Mercedes E500 in early 2015. Thought I was getting a good deal on a used luxury car with less than a 100k miles. In less than a year I have spent a little over 3 thousand dollars in repairs. And that is going somewhere other than the actual dealership which would of cost me 3X as much! One of the main reasons I bought a Mercedes was because I thought they were supposed to be reliable cars. The only thing I have been able to rely on is that I will be in the shop every other month. On a positive note I took it in to the dealership for a fuel system problem that Mercedes were covering under an extended warranty and the service was great. They treated me very well, fed me and made me comfortable. And the car is a dream to drive when its working but I have a problem with the esp and some brake sensor now that is gonna cost me 2 grand bringing up the cost of repairs to near what I paid for the car in the first place in less than a year. There is no reason for anyone to buy a used Mercedes. The only people who can afford the repair costs of a Mercedes are the people who can afford a new Mercedes and if you can afford the repairs on a used Mercedes you should just buy a new Mercedes. Used Mercedes should just go straight to the junkyard so poor people like me dont get tricked into buying these money pits.

I live in Pennsylvania and have a 400 ft driveway that go up to my house. My Mercedes handles so well going up my driveway that I do not worry about getting home. People ask me why I take my Mercedes out in the snow and not my 4x4 pickup truck. I tell them I trust my Mercedes more than the pickup truck.

The check engine light came on in my 2006 MB SLK 350. I took it into Mercedes dealership in the Richmond Auto Mall, charged me $250 to tell me that the Balance Shaft needs to be replaced, a repair in the order of $5000. On looking into the problem on the Internet, it seems MB SLKs from 2006 and 2007 suffer this problem, the balance shaft breaking down at around 50-60,000 kilometers. I have read that the metal used was too soft for O.E. specifications and that a class action lawsuit was filed in Oct 2010 and dismissed by a New Jersey judge November 2, 2011. I dont understand how MB can get away with this.

First experience with Mercedes Roadside this week for a simple dead battery switch out was a cluster Got me hooked up with a 3rd party in Texas (Im in Florida). Took 4 MB customer care agents to finally arrange for the local dealer to bring one 4 hours later. Unrelated, just called customer service for recommended tire options for my S550 as the Pirellis they put on lasted 10,000 miles. Took 10 minutes to get a connection to a ringing phone that nobody ever picked up. Should have stuck with Audi. Not impressed at all!!

I bought the car when it had half a tank of fuel in it but when you fill it up is stinks of gasoline. If you go online searching for this problem there are a lot of complaints regarding this situation but Mercedes chooses to ignore it! No recalls! Just expensive fixes! This is the 2nd piece of crap Mercedes I’ve had the misfortune to own.

Mercedes SLK 350 2012: Bad burning like smell entering car below steering wheel. Reported this to M.B. Canada and dealer when I bought the car. I was told to watch for oil drops, antifreeze etc for 3 years. Finally I found how I could demonstrate the smell to the dealer, who kept the car for over a month and drove 2000 km. Could not find the problem. Car was returned and I was told that they are unable to correct this problem and one of the managers will contact me. It might take a long time. That was August 2017. I wrote many e-mails, but nobody wants to talk to me. I am very unhappy with the people representing M.B. I also contacted Germany, but no help. I also contacted M.B. Germany, answer - Contact M.B. Canada which I did with no help from them.

When you hear Mercedes you think, high end, great quality and understand expensive to repair. I received notice to replace the airbag. I went to a local Mercedes dealer for the service. In the process, I inquired about what it would cost to repair the drivers bottom seat that is ripping at the seam and what it would cost to replace the broken, Plastic passenger door sensor. I was quoted $450 dollars for 2 hours of labor to replace a sensor that pops into the socket. What a joke. Then after picking up the car from the airbag replacement, found that the driver window button, also Plastic was broken off.It was not broken when I dropped off the car. The dealership will not take responsibility. I have to say that I am really surprised that either the sensor or the window button are made as cheaply as they are. I dont understand why they would not be made of a more sturdy material given the name of the manufacturer. The lack of responsibility of the dealer for the damage they caused was definitely unexpected. If I thought, at one point, of getting a new Benz, it will not be a consideration now. Nothing like overpriced and lack of accountability. Thank You Mercedes.

As a first time lease owner of my fist Mercedes C-class this was a huge disappointment. Prepaid for 2 services at the beginning of the lease just to find out that they expire 2 years after and not by the end of the lease how they made me think. Was only less than a month after my expiration that I took car for service B and now on top of my already paid $500 I must pay again. This is beyond dishonest and most terrible customer treatment Ive ever encountered. Called the office and spoke to Juan who was only able to get a partial credit for the service I now have to pay for the second time. How would you like paying for service twice? Also, on the phone with Mercedes customer service I was blackmailed by Juan (phone number: **) not to write my honest review about this situation or they would take away even the partial credit they just gave me that only partially covers my second charge for the same service I already paid for when I signed up for the lease! It was so unprofessional and disgusting to be blackmailed to stay away from writing this honest review that made me even more compelled to do so because I want to warn all future unsuspected new customers of how they will be treated as well. I will not be buying my future vehicles from them and so is my family. I only want to give my business to places that truly appreciate their customers and with lots of great competitors out there it will be easy to do. You dont want to be tricked, lied to, especially as a first time customer into something that will screw you later and they wont even care about it. Everyone should know before becoming a customer of theirs that they treat their customers in the worst possible manner without any care and with great amount of unprofessionalism by blackmailing them to speak the truth. Did not expect this coming from this car maker of this magnitude but be warned and stay away.

I have been a customer of MB of Boerne Tx for a few years. I purchased my last vehicle from them. I will not be going back. On June 27, 2017 I brought my car to MB to check an engine issue. I utilized one of their loaners. I picked my car up the next day and drove to my house. I opened my trunk to grab my cooking cutlery which I had put there the day before only to find it gone. I did a quick check of everything else in the car and found I was missing two other items. What makes this so frustrating is I blame myself since this is not the first time Boerne MB employees have stolen something from my car. The other time, I reported the theft immediately to my service advisor Linda who gave me a complimentary wax job. She told me she had reported that theft to management. I should have emptied my car out before taking it there but I was in a hurry and forgot my cutlery was in the back.I did not bother to go back and report it because obviously nothing would be done or it would have been done the last time this happened and would not have happened again. The main reason I am providing this review is so other Mercedes-Benz owners do not make the mistake I made and become a victim of MB of Boerne employees. Empty your vehicle before you leave it with them.To MB management, I sincerely doubt I am the only one this has happened to since it happened to me twice. This would be easy to find out which of your employees is the thief or thieves. Plant something in a vehicle and track it. You will catch them sooner or later. You have lost my business but maybe you can prevent this from happening to another customer. Had you done this after the first time I reported it to you it might not have happened again. Dont get me wrong, I blame myself but even after the first time I thought I could trust you. More fool me... it has been an expensive lesson replacing my Wusthof cutlery set but it is a lesson learned. I will utilize MB of San Antonio from here on but my car will be empty regardless.

I went to the Rocklin, CA Mercedes Benz dealership to get a recall fixed on my car. I had a leak in the same place with that of the recall was in, so I thought it was that. We talked to a man named Wayne, and he helped us the whole time we were there. He said it would take an hour or a little longer, so we walked our three kids over to the park. By time we got back to the dealer, it was about 4:45-5:00. The man Wayne said he would check to see if our car was ready, then he pulled it up, leaving it running. We loaded the kids up, but my oldest was in the bathroom. So I went to get her. When I got back in the car, it was no longer running and would not start at all. We tried a couple times, and then, we got the man who had been helping us and told him what was going on. He came over and tried to start it, then he popped the hood. He started messing with the battery and said he thought we needed a new one. He said he was going to have someone come jump us. Well, that did not work at all, and as the tech was helping us, he noticed our seats felt real wet. The floors were wet too. Real wet. Still, I did not think anything of it. A few minutes went by, and another man came out, a tech one who works on cars. At that moment, they said that when they washed it, the sun roof was open a little and water got in our electrical gear and messed some electrical stuff up. So what I want to know is why did they not say that in the first place. They had to have a known cause. There had to have been water all over, when they opened the door. They had to dry it all up. They did not say anything to us and were going to let us leave. How did they know that fast what was wrong. They knew it had all got wet. I did not even know they were going to wash the car. I got my car back the next day (today). They came to my work and traded me cars, and it stinks so bad like mildew. I got a few opinions and have been told that it could never be the same. I dont know how extensive the damages are and what they fixed. They tried to get me off the lot as fast as possible, so it would not be their problem. But I know that I had my three kids and could have had my car just stop somewhere, and we could have gotten hurt. Now, I have a stinky car that I am still paying for, and I dont know if they fixed the whole problem.

We own a 2009 C300, with 4matic transmission. The car started to make a grinding noise which was being emitted from the center of the car. The car only had 60,000 miles at that point. We took the car to our family mechanic, and he told us it sounded like it was coming from the transmission and he advised we take the car to the dealer. We took the car to Mercedes of Danbury CT. They told us we needed a completely new transmission, and the price was $7,500. We told them it was outrageous that the car needed a new transmission at 60K miles. They told us the warranty only goes until 50K and there was nothing they could do.The dealer told us the car was probably not taken care of, but we took very good care of it. We had Mercedes of Nanuet (the original dealer) look up the records to prove that the transmission service had been performed right on time, and that the car was very well taken care of. In a desperate attempt, we called Mercedes USA. We talked to a regional manager and told him the whole story. The result was they were willing to discount the repair to $6000. We told them this is unacceptable. Given the car had been well serviced, the issue indicates an engineering problem with the transmission. A quick google search will show that many people have the same issue with the transmission. After Mercedes refused to do any better, we took the car back to our family mechanic. He opened up the transmission, replaced the bearing that had failed, and charged us a total of $1,000. In his opinion the transmission has a design flaw. You would think a luxury automobile manufacturer such as Mercedes Benz would treat you well. Obviously that is not the case. We will be selling the car, and will never purchase a Mercedes Benz again.

Many people seem to complain as just read on this site about MB. I currently own a 95 SL500, a 2004 S55, and a 2017 GLC300. If you search for an SUV of the small size like the GLC, you will see that there are many choices and the price seems to be all the same. We looked at GM as I also have a 20 year old Tahoe that I use to tow stuff. For the money the MB is comfortable and particularly nice looking for a car of the type (I will have to say kinda common) but it still has the status of driving a Mercedes. But in many cases we found it cheaper than other brands. As for my 21 year old SL it has 45k on the odometer and I have done all the maintenance like it was being driven every day and I havent thought twice to get in and take a long trip. It cost 102k 20 years ago and my house was a few bucks more, you have to treat it as a car built for speed and handling so expensive is the word to describe the car. Even though you can buy one for 4 thousand bucks, it is still a 100k car.The S55 is simply a great pleasure to drive with so much power and 3 feet between the front seats and the back seat. My only complaint is the model prior was in my opinion better looking but again you expect the car to perform as new and it will with proper fluid changes, brake, cooling etc. This car is as new and handles that way, if you wait for items to break then usually because of engineering many other parts will need repair. The best thing to say is taking care of these cars and learning how to do the maintenance will save money and also let you see problems that are required for a repair. Enough said.

Serious safety issue on 2012 ML550: My pregnant wife, 2-year-old son and I were bounced like popcorn in the car on a highway when the air suspension failed again in 10 days after the first repair. My 2012 ML550, bought in February 2012 with 10,000 km, ran into a serious safety issue. The air suspension failed twice in just 10 days. The Airmatic suspension system leaks and failed twice within two weeks. The first time was on November 27, on a trip to the hospital with my wife to do the pregnancy test; malfunction in dash at a stop sign after 40 minutes on the highway. The rear of the car sagged and could not be raised. I barely drove it home. It was bumpy all the way while my wife was tested positive for pregnancy on the day. It was towed to the dealer. They found a leaky distribution line in the air suspension system and they claimed they fixed it on the next day. But we felt the air suspension very stiff ever since. Then 10 days later on December 10, a day before we decided to send it back to dealer for a check-up, while dining out, driving on the highway at high speed, the malfunction in dash appeared and the rear of the car sagged again! My pregnant wife and 2-year-old son and I were bounced like popcorn on the flat bed in the car and barely drove it home. We had it towed to dealer soon after. There were more problems with the air suspension this time: replaced valve, relay, and now the compressor needed to be replaced also and had to be ordered from Germany. The car is disabled at the dealership at the time of this writing. The car is unsafe to drive now. It is less than a year and with only 10,000 km on it. I demand the full money back including HST from the manufacture because the manufacture has refused to replace me with a new car at no cost.

The reviews on MB were great so I purchased my E350 in good condition in 2011 and thought I was home free. Less did I know I was in for big problems to come? I have been in 3 potholes and each time there is a problem. In all the 3 occasions the tires were total and I have to get new ones to replace. Also out of the 3 incidents 2 rims had to be replaced. The rims were damaged so badly that it seemed they were in serious accidents. I cannot bring myself to believe that Mercedes Benz wheels quality are so cheap that any small hole could damage the tires plus the rims. The recent incident cost me a total of $1700 for a tire and a rim. This is the second time I am shelling out this amount of money. This is disturbing. I am now not even confident driving my E350. Constantly looking out for holes on the street to avoid and this is dangerous considering other cars on the road. Avoiding potholes may rather lead to a crash with another car. In all my cars that I have owned since obtaining my drivers license (25 years ago) I have never had a rim damaged with potholes but under 1.5 years I have had 2 rims damaged on a supposedly durable car. I am thinking a more safer and ordinary make car and park the E350 somewhere. I feel very unsafe now driving the E350 and moreover I dont have $1700 to shell out all the time. I am surprised there are no recalls on the wheels. The wheels require a more durable material.

5 months into my 2011 MB E350 BlueTech lease the front left tire blown on a highway. The tires are run-flat Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02 MO Extended 245/45R17 95H. I stopped the car and saw the rim made a cut in a sidewall. Not repairable, I had it replaced. 45 days later, another front tire was again blown on a highway the same way. I put on a spare and ordered replacement. 2 days later, the third tire blows the same exact way. All incidents were on the roads. I travel for 10 years and never had any issues with my previous cars. I complained to local dealer and was told it was caused by my way of driving. Ridiculous! The tire repairman told me these run-flats are not flexible and have a very thin sidewall so it gets punctured by the rim. I feel MB should compensate me for what I paid replacing their tires.

I just purchase a 2015 C63 AMG S. The moldings are falling off the car under the door. The car was taken to their body shop and the molding were replaced. A week later they started to come off again. Today I took the time to go to the dealer and talk to the shop foreman about this issue. We both agreed that the molding and lower panels are made defective and there may be no fix for this problem. I hope that Mercedes comes up with a fix soon or I will have to replace this car asap. It seems that the quality of their product has gone down the tube.

I am contacting you on behalf of my brother who owns a Mercedes C220 CDI Avantgarde since December 2009. After being told that the galvanized steel is rusting on the rear wings, it broke down - unable to start. The garage replaced the alternator, water pump and the belts, but while returning home, some dashboard lights indicated another fault. He was told not to drive it as a risk of fire. Another garage re-wired it and told him it had been on fire previously. Once again, on the way home, the faults showed up on the dashboard so he had to take it back to them once again. Now, the garage is having to look further into the problem. However, when he got the car, he was not told that the car had been on fire. My brother is not happy because it has cost him 845 pounds. Until now, I would be grateful if someone can get in touch with him. Thanks.

I will be very brief. THIS IS THE WORST SUV YOU CAN GET. Having this experience now I would love to get Hyundai or 2 of them for the same price and live a quiet life with money leftover so I can go to Hawaii. Problems, problems and problems, MBUSA is a worst dealership in US which does not even stand behind their products. My local garage was more helpful than their service. Just an example (not to mention legendary brake light socket problems), both of my front doors power locks have stopped working after 15 months (could not survive one winter in New York due to cheap plastics used in actuators or something). Even my Ford Expedition truck is better quality than ML350 and I have never liked Ford quality. BUYER BEWARE: STAY AWAY FROM MERCEDES BENZ. I AM SURE THAT CHINESE ARE MAKING BETTER CARS THESE DAYS THAN GERMANS. SHAME ON THEM. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HEADACHE.

This is a serious safety issue. Our car suddenly stalls [three times] while driving. The reason was a failing [failed] crank sensor. Mercedes never informed owners of this serious safety issue. Our vehicle was past their factory warranty, therefore we had to pay $504 due to the this problem. Mercedes Headquarters in New Jersey refused all or any compensation. Safety issues do not end because the factory warranty expired. Maybe they should experience the stress and helpless feeling of driving 65 miles an hour and have the engine shut off!

My wife recently exited our C300 MB to come back into our home. She came back to the car only to find it had driven off down our hill, thru our brick pony wall and finally thru our neighbors boulder ditch. 7 weeks later, the insurance company totaled the car. In the meantime we have been complaining numerous times to MB head office over the fact that the car has always exhibited a safety feature in which it shifts into park automatically whenever, and every time, the door is opened. The one time we needed it to, it didnt. Failed completely and now we have lost our car. What really is disappointing is the fact that MB USA has completely ignored this and frankly if this safety feature doesnt perform, then the next time the car runs away on someone, the results could be more tragic than it was this time. Shame shame shame on MB for caring so little to even address this with us.

I called the head office to make a complaint about the disappointing service and treatment I received from the Brentford Mercedes body-shop. Basically I was not happy with the feedback I received. The reason for this is the original estimate had been completely changed; instead, I felt the body-shop was cutting corners at my expense to satisfy the insurance engineers. I was now getting second rate job done on my car that could also depreciate the value on my four-and-a-half-year-old car. I was involved in an accident, but I was not at fault; however, both I and the other driver both have the same insurers. The only difference is that I recently did not renew with them. I am insured with another firm. My problem with Brentford turned into a complaint. However, when I called their head office in Milton Keynes, I was left reeling because they were on the immediate defense making me out to be a trouble-maker and even tried passing the buck. I was spoken down to at the point that I didnt know if this was for real or a blood joke. There was no customer satisfaction. I felt my complaint was dismissed and no investigation was going to take place. I wish I had never bought from them and never will again. My advice to anyone is if you do buy a Mercedes or smart car, dont expect the excellent service because there isnt such a thing. And if you ever have a complaint, be aware that the head office’s customer service team is like the Mafia. If there is anyone out there who had the same experience, I would love feedback on where to go to get heard.

I have driven Mercedes Benz for nearly a decade. I have trusted the brand; I have trusted the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Fort Lauderdale. However, recently this trust was betrayed. Additionally, I have always purchased my cars there, and always taken my car there for service. I recently took my car in to get the lights replaced. A week later the car was ready. As I drove off the parking lot, I opened the glove compartment, and it fell to the floor. I quickly called my service advisor; he suggested I take it in as soon as I could. And I did; after assessing the damage, the service manager called me and became argumentative, refusing to take responsibility. He not only betrayed my trust, he insulted me, his last words were: We are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. This is not remarkable customer service; in fact, its no customer service at all. The damage is self-evident, an obvious blunt force and trauma to the glove compartment. A client for a decade; I was planning on purchasing my next car there next year; not to mention, I spent close to $4000 on the lights and back breaks. If you want quality, chose a different dealership.

I paid extra for the extended warranty. The dealership told me its the external problem so they wont cover for the warranty. I think they dont want to cover the warranty so I pay from my pocket. The motor cost with labor is 2100.00. I will recommend not to buy Mercedes-Benz and if you buy please check the warranty issue as the company wont pay for it.

I leased a brand new vehicle GLA250 that has a random ghost acceleration that cannot be fixed. The front differential had to be completely replaced at 4,700 miles on it. Then the tires went bald at 5,000. Then the gym service manager Mark ** says the cars drivetrain can’t handle potholes and these types of problems are common with Mercedes Benz. Their insurance recommendation also refuses to cover this car. It’s been a nightmare as I also ran over the neighbors child as the car suddenly accelerated. Was told to leave the car running for 2 minutes before driving which obviously made no difference. The only excuse is they cannot replicate so they cannot help.Their insurance company says it makes no difference whether they can replicate the issue and should pull the unsafe vehicle from use. But instead they sent this email notifying me that they won’t help or resolve or even respond to the safety concerns “no guarantee that assistance will be provided.” Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is currently reviewing your request concerning the 2016 GLA250W4 bearing vehicle identification number **. We want to set a clear expectation that there is no guarantee that assistance will be provided. Our review process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks; during that time we will be evaluating a review of all repair orders, the number of down days related to those repairs, the overall repair history and your individual state’s statutes.

In Oct 2012, 1 week before Sandy, I purchased a lease from the above and traded in my vehicle. At the time of the transaction, the dealer took my vehicle and I signed a contract for my current lease. The only amount of payment indicated on the contract was my first month payment. Ive recently experienced unacceptable and despicable customer service regarding that purchase. I was temp displaced from my home following the weather events. Upon my return to my home, I received notification that I was responsible for a lease penalty for over mileage in the amount of $2500. At the time, I figured Mercedes did not update their system to reflect the new lease purchase. This was during the second week of Nov. I had my license plates put on my new vehicle on the 16th of Nov and inquired about the notification to Claudio **, the salesman who sold me the lease. At that time, he explains that I have to work that through Mercedes Financial or I could have had that rolled into my new lease payment. I spoke to his boss, Peter, on 16 Nov. who told me there was nothing that they could do although they wish they could. On 17 Nov., I had to travel out of town for work and then came the holiday. I contacted Claudio last week, and asked to discuss this matter with the district manager. I was told to call him this evening. His name is Scott. Scott explained to me that I missed a window of opportunity after I spoke with Peter. I had 24 hours to respond in person. That opportunity consisted of redoing my contract so that the $2500 which was never brought to the table during the deal process could be rolled into my new monthly payments. However, when I spoke to Peter, I was told that there was nothing he could do so this window of opportunity was in fact never presented to me in writing nor verbally.I explained this to Scott who seemed surprised. I have asked Scott to send me all of this information in writing explaining that a window of opportunity was presented and it is no longer valid. No other options have been presented to me. I am a disabled veteran who has been a loyal customer with Mercedes since 2007. Now that the deal has been made, Im being treated poorly because the entire terms of agreement at the time that the deal was made, were not explained to me either verbally or in writing. I only went into this new lease agreement because according to the terms of agreement that were laid out, that I was informed of, it was a great deal. I have since been blindsided with the omission of a lease penalty I would be responsible for upon accepting the deal. The fact that the $2500 lease penalty or any lease penalty for that matter fee was never brought up during the entire deal process is a tremendous error on that entire sales team. I am kindly requesting your assistance for a viable solution because this type of treatment is unwarranted and completely unprofessional.I have since contacted the CEO, Mike Morais, and received a response from him in Dec 2012 apologizing and informing me that he would look into this matter and get back to me. I have sent follow up correspondence as there is not a listed number for him to no avail. I have informed Mercedes Benz Financial from beginning to end about this matter. They too have tried contacting the dealership to no avail. Ultimately, I am responsible for full payment and this is a hardship which I have explained and have attempted to work with Mercedes Benz Financial to make payments to avoid delinquencies. However, my account was recently submitted to a collections agency as I was unable to make the minimum amount requested by Mercedes Benz Financial. I did work out a plan with the collection agency that is within my budget constraints. However, this situation should have never come to this. My vehicle to this was in mint condition and the only reason why I traded it in is because I was tricked into a deal. Thank you for your time and attention.

We had our car serviced here and when we got it back it CAUGHT ON FIRE and so it begins. Trust me... Its worth the read. :) Heres the situation: A couple of days before Xmas, our car shut off in a parking lot and wouldnt turn on even after roadside assistance came and we hooked up a new battery. We had it towed to Autohaus on Edens, Northbrook Il based on a recommendation and because it is a Mercedes dealer and we wanted trustworthy service. They did a diagnostic and had a hard time figuring out the issue.Tom ** was very communicative and explained they were checking the battery and all the electronic systems etc but it was taking some time. Finally, we go word that they had identified that it was the EIS system. They replaced that system, completed the installation and they did a multipoint inspection to identify potential issues as well as confirm that the battery, cables, mountings etc. were inspected and were AOK. This took 10 days.We got the car back. It CAUGHT ON FIRE while were were driving. The fire was where the battery is located underneath the passenger seat with flames and smoke billowing up. There was no indication anywhere on the dashboard that there was a problem. Thank god We were not on a highway and that one of my kids or spouse werent sitting there when this happened or we could have been killed or badly burned. Luckily it was snowing a boatload and we got the fire out by shoving snow on it and when the smoke cleared, we noticed the red safety plate that typically covers the positive connection had been removed and was sitting placed in the back of the passenger seat. We took pics, contacted our insurance who told us to contact the dealer and let them know once we had a cause. We contacted Tom ** at Autohaus on the Edens and explained the situation. He advised us to have it towed back there so they could do an investigation. We had the car towed up there and he called a couple of days later and stated that they needed us to authorize $500.00 to pay for a further diagnostic because they had to pull up the seat to determine the cause of the fire. He believed it was an issue with something shorting out the battery but needed confirm. We agreed to the diagnostic. He commented that they never touched the battery the first time we brought it in. We reminded him (we have his voicemail) that when we brought the car there the first time, he let us know they couldnt figure out the problem as they had tested the battery and it was working fine. They also completed installation of the battery (he confirmed) and finally they provided us with a multiple point written inspection report where they specifically stated that they inspected the battery, cables, mountings etc. and all are AOK. We again brought up the missing red safety cap that should have been covering the positive wires and he stated that doesnt matter and isnt the issue. We asked if the exposed wires that should have been covered by the cap could have caused the fire if they sparked and he said he wasnt sure but would know more once they did a full investigation. We waited and then received a report where no diagnostic was included but rather they just supplied the cost of the damage and repairs for $4600.00. Included in this report was a new multipoint inspection where they stated that they inspected the battery, wires, mountings and cables and all were AOK. Except that the battery had melted as had the connecting wires and cables. WHAT? Hmmmm. He followed up with a phone call and stated that they thought the battery was faulty and we should go after the battery company. We asked why that wasnt listed as a diagnostic he said he couldnt legally state that but we actually paid 500.00 to figure out the cause and we would need that to go back to the battery company. We also asked bout that multipoint inspection stating all was ok with the battery, cables, mountings etc. When, in fact, they had been in a fire and all was melted/seriously damaged. What we learned from Tom ** is that these inspections are a courtesy and they may or may not actually do them! What?I brought my car to Mercedes because I trust they do what they said they did. I trust their recommendations. It turns out that they dont actually do the inspection. These two reports confirm this fact. Which brings me back to the first time around. If they had actually done the inspection, wouldnt they have either picked up on a loose wire and/or the missing plate? Seems reasonable. Note to self: They do NOT do the inspection, just say they do.We asked him to document the faulty battery and then we got another report where the multipoint inspection reflects that the battery, cables, mounting etc. are NOT AOK and also NOT documenting a faulty battery as the cause but instead identifying some loose wires by the positive battery cable (that would have been covered had the cap been on or picked up if they actually did the inspection) added 250$ to the bill and sent it over. 4900.00 and no cause or accountability. At this point in the conversation, we contacted the head of service Jim ** who had Tom call us back because he was too busy. You can imagine our frustration! The worst part is Tom was very polite and kept saying we want you to have a great experience and be happy. Not possible at this point. We brought our car here in December and spent 1800.00. Got it back and then it CAUGHT ON FIRE while we were driving! We bring it back again and get a huge runaround with no clear cause, conflicting reports, phone calls that conflict what was written and all the while they have our car as a hostage! Finally after 2 weeks without a car Jim ** agrees to talk to us. He does not appear to have an understanding of the details to date and the gist is he asks: What do you want? Do you want me to pay for this? Cause that isnt gonna happen. Call your insurance and have an adjuster come out. We dont want to push a claim on them but thats why you have insurance. Once we figure it out we can get you loaner and I can cover your deductible.Progress! I contact my insurance to explain that we are at an impasse and give them the details. They agree that this sounds very suspect and they get involved (thank God) but due to Covid it will take them a few days to get out there. I call Jim back with the update and he says great but no deal on the loaner. There is a catch. I can get a loaner once insurance agrees that they will pay for it...interesting.... The next day, Tom ** calls to reinforce that we will NOT get a loaner until insurance agrees to pay. He ends the convo with we want you to have a great experience. Seriously? (Note: if you have a Mercedes, get rental insurance with your car insurance!)Finally insurance and Autohaus strike a deal that is less than what they charged us initially at $4200.00 and Tom calls to state that it will take them another 7-10 days but we can have a loaner as long as we bring it back every 3 days... no exceptions. What?! Has anyone ever gotten a loaner for longer than 3 days from Autohaus on Edens? I know I have from Mercedes downtown. We live 40 minutes away; we have 4 kids; We have been without our car for 2.5 weeks (due to what appears to be negligence). We never got a loaner the first time either....oh and we had our car serviced there and then IT CAUGHT ON FIRE which is why we need a loaner! This was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!When we go to pick up the car, there is yet another report differing from the first 4 and they have added charges for additional parts but dont know what the parts are. Literally a change for parts unidentified. They told us to pay the difference and that they had contacted our insurance who would reimburse us except...wait for it...not accurate. And regarding those outstanding charges that we paid for? They will get back to us on what they were for. Still waiting. What about MERCEDES USA you may ask yourself? Well we also involved Mercedes USA and spoke with Susan, Executive Referral Manager at HQ in Georgia and she is supposedly investigating to see if there was a car malfunction but dealerships are basically franchises and they have no involvement AT ALL! What? They said this type of situation has nothing to do with them. Also she indicated that if we got the car fixed, they may not be able to investigate which is ridiculous. You would think Mercedes USA would want to inspect what happened when a Mercedes Benz catches fire at the battery under the passenger seat while being driven and there is no indication other than the flames and smoke engulfing the car that there is an issue? And that this occurred immediately after having it serviced at a Mercedes Benz Dealership. I guess not. It is so far down their list that after we submitted the photos and took the time to fill out all the information she has not responded in any way. Thankfully no one was hurt or killed or this would be a very different conversation. How did it end? We got our car back and we got the battery back as well. We are waiting to hear whats next from Mercedes. It was too big of a deal to not leave you with the details so there you have it! Dont go to Autohaus on Edens and if you do: know that the multipoint inspection isnt real. To be quite frank do yourself a favor and dont buy MERCEDES. If you want a German car...I would say look to buy and Audi or a BMW.

Never again will I buy a new Mercedes. Our 2011 ML350 has only 22,000 on it as of today. We use it for vacation trips only and it is stored in a climate controlled garaged when not in use. We have had three major repairs in the 22,000 miles, mostly sensors failing that made drivability terrible. Also had to have a new computer installed after several trips to various MB dealers who could not seem to diagnose the problem.Latest problem is bad rattling noise from the front suspension. I took the car to an independent mechanic who has a stellar reputation who diagnosed the problem as upper front strut mounting failure. This was at 17,000 miles and in preparation for a trip to Florida we had scheduled and wanted to be sure it was safe to drive. On that trip I took it to a dealer in Raleigh, NC where our daughter lives to have it repaired (We have no dealer within 100 miles of us here). The dealer verified the strut problem and quoted over $1800 to repair, which was a shock to me as I assumed at 22,000 miles that the warranty would cover this. We were told the time on our warranty had expired by just a little bit and it would not be covered by warranty. I called MB USA and tried to get it covered since it was such low mileage on the car. They would only allow a 40% discount on the repair. I then took the car to the earlier mentioned mechanic who did the repairs for less than the 40% off price at MB dealers. Never again will we buy a MB or have this one repaired by a MB dealer. The build quality on this car is about as bad as owning a Yugo. I have much experience on automotive builds as my hobby is restoring antique cars and building hot rods. I have built several cars from the frame up and currently own two hot rods built that way (1953 Ford F-100 and a 1934 Chevrolet). The car club I belong to is who recommended the local mechanic I use now for all maintenance on my newer cars when I dont have time or equipment to do it myself. The MB was purchased by my wife as her car and we expected much more from such a high priced vehicle. Highly disappointed in Mercedes-Benz.

I bought my used 2002 Mercedes Benz c230 about a year ago with a small used car loan. Everything seemed to be okay with the car but that only lasted about 500 miles. Everything on this car is broken. My dashboard is dry rotted and chipping away, the side door panels just come off when trying to open them up from the inside. Everything I touch literally just falls apart in my hand as if its been put together with Paper glue! The controls that open and close the windows have literally just popped off and are hanging there! I have electrical problems, my windshield wipers dont work (I live in Florida), my air conditioning doesnt work... Ill be driving down the road and my engine just turns completely off and I lose all power to everything including steering. My SRS light is on so I have no locking seat belts, airbags or horn. The car is literally a death trap, I seriously am concerned for my safety driving it and to fix all these defective things that are happening is going to cost probably 100 percent of the worth of my car. Im a hard working person, and this car has been nothing but a big hole I throw my money into. Im still paying it off so its getting parked and Im biking to work. Thanks, Mercedes for ripping the public off with this piece of junk!! Btw the car has only 70,000. I owned a dodge neon with 215000 miles on it that ran better than this!

Bought my first car (this being the 2020 plate 70 reg A-Class PHEV premium plus 1.3L hatchback), and unfortunately the navigation system and customer aftercare was ATROCIOUS. I was back in the Merc showroom a week after I purchased the car due to the speedometer showing 70mph on the side streets and 20mph on a motorway! There was also NO sight of the mandatory accessories that were in the car. The ENGINEERS said that a full download WASNT completed on this BRAND NEW fully fitted, TOP OF THE RANGE vehicle and even after them taking my car in for the day, its still NOT WORKING. When requesting an initial check up of the car (due to the navigation system failing and taking the longer routes around town) he told me to press the SOS system in the car which directs you to air ambulance, then a roadside engineer (both who said the whole situation has heightened due to the fault of the salesman). The inadequacy of the sales team is awful especially with their customer aftercare and ’support. When the car arrived, the salesman who I dealt with didnt bother showing me any of the cars gadgets, the car wasn’t even full charged on the electric - there was no effort made when presenting the car which was very disappointing. The car is a premium plus (top of the range) meaning that all the extra features such as the cable are meant to come with the car. When questioning the salesman I dealt with, he refused to acknowledge that the accessories came with the car and stopped replying to my messages giving no response! It was only after dealing with the engineer, we pushed for the already paid for accessories. Being a loyal customer, we had foresight of purchasing another vehicle however, due to the REPETITION OF TERRIBLE experiences with the car, customer services, problematic navigation…. I’m appalled! The whole experience was very troublesome, lack of support was given from the Mercedes Leicester team, there was absolutely no aftercare provided. The car’s navigation and speedometer is STILL NOT WORKING. I don’t recommend anyone to purchase this new vehicle, especially from the Leicester branch. Very disappointed.

Happy Saturday evening. My prayer is that Mr. Stephen Cannon reads this email and as president and CEO works to resolve this problem. I own a 2006 R 350. My problems started with the suspension air parts that cause the car to look as if it has a flat tire, when it doesnt. It looks as if the tire-rods or shocks have failed. With this problem, when one goes bad and you fix it, the other automatically goes bad, so you MUST change BOTH sides. This is not a cheap repair. Actually, nothing about MB is a cheap repair. Once I had that done, the CAM shaft went bad. For this my car has been in the shop for the past 3.5 months. Now after practically rebuilding the engine, the problem is still not resolved. It cant be resolved, because all the parts were manufactured bad so when you replace one part something else goes bad. Ive found online that most if not all of the 06 and 07 R class models have had this same problem, MB is aware and have not recalled the cars. Over $6000 worth of new parts and labor, yet my car is still not fixed. These cars or at least mine should be recalled and the owners should be reimbursed for this literal pain and suffering. I have been terminated from my job and unable to get another because I dont have transportation. This was not my first MB. I have had 4, but this certainly may be my last if I cannot get any resolution to this. I have sent 2 emails. This is the 3rd to MB and was assigned a case manager. She called me 2 times. Ive called her more than 10 times. All I get is a person on the phone that says, I see that you left her a message. Is this the number where you can be reached? I say yes and that ends the call. Ok she will call you today. I attempted to reach MB via a BBB complaint, but they arent affiliated. LOST WITH A R-CLASS LEMON. Its sad that you dont acknowledge that these cars are lemons, but then again you do acknowledge, because you have discontinued the model. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

Our 300c has approximately 29,000 miles on it and has gone through 2 sets of tires already! Just returned from the MB dealer and was told that the 2d set of tires was of low quality that is why they are cupping. If that was so, why did the original set do the same thing at 15,000 miles? Apparently, there is something wrong with the car design. The quality of the car, a 2010 is definitely not what Mercedes used to build.

My experience has been nothing but a disaster from both Mercedes-Benz dealership in Kansas and MO. They are very racist against people of color especially to women. Ive never been treated so bad. You never get offered the same services as other individuals. This makes it very upsetting that I purchased this vehicle. After the salesperson was confronted about his behavior now he wants to try and pretend it didnt take place. Yes it did happen and he needs to own up to it. He doesnt need to work with the public. I dont recommend purchasing a vehicle from them to be humiliated.

Ive owned 5 Mercedes over my car buying experience and I can tell you I will never buy another one. I have a ML 350 BlueTEC (diesel) that has known problems with the vehicle. I just found out on the oil leaking near the rear main seal. I called Mercedes to ask why in the world would a car with 57k miles have a problem like this when Mercedes brags about how great an engineered car they make. I have spent over a week on the problem the dealer fixed the supposed problem to break another problem. Now they want me to pay for what they broke. CROOKS WOULD BE THE WORD I WOULD USE. Ive had several Lexus and no problems. Mercedes does not stand by their name and overcharges for everything. The customer service people just lie to you, point blank. DONT BUY A MERCEDES, BUY A LEXUS. CROOK, CROOKS, AND CROOKS.

My wife has a 2008 R-Class Mercedes with the BlueTech diesel engine. The BlueTech engine has been a recurring nightmare. The cars engine warning light continues to come on, which often (though not always) signals some big problems with the car.The service guy at CalStar Motors Mercedes in Glendale, CA just told her today (the 5th day the car has been in the shop this time) that they cannot figure out what is the cause of the problem. They have (again) replaced the engine sensor, but said, We can give you no assurance that the problem wont occur again, given that we don’t know what is wrong. We have also taken the car to Rusnak Mercedes Benz in Pasadena and Downtown LA Motors Mercedes Benz. I think I will find a lemon lawyer. Do you have any suggestions? Please email me at **@gmail.com.

A few days ago my 5 year old daughter spilled a 1/3 full kids water bottle on the floorboard of the right rear seat. The water bottle holds 12 ounces so I estimate this was 4 ounces of water. 30 minutes later the car started smoking inside then the dashboard display went blank. We took the car to Fletcher Jones Mercedes Benz and today received the news from their service department that the Control Unit had shorted out from what appeared to be a clear liquid, leaving us to assume it was caused by the 4 ounces of water. The Control Unit is located directly under the front passenger seat. It is only separated by the carpet. Of course, they said this is not covered under warranty and the cost to replace this unit is almost $8,000.Why would Mercedes place a computer for the car under the passenger seat without at least making it a little water resistant? In rainy days people are constantly getting in the car with wet feet. When you have kids its not uncommon for things to get spilled on the floor. For such a thing to cause the brains of the car to malfunction is simply poor design. It makes me question other design components from this manufacturer. Not well thought out!

While removing the spoiler, by someone with NO prior experience, he ripped through the fiberglass and destroyed my trunk. Five Star called me and explain the situation. They offered me 2 solutions,1 replace with new lid or 2 patch and paint. Considering the caliber of car we are talking about I chose the new lid. Once Five Star realized that Mercedes-Benz would not pay for their mistake they refused to replace it and returned to me a patched trunk lid.

I own a Mercedes C180 model 2012, and I had an accident on the 25th of February. The front part of the car is completely damaged, but all the safety items did not work (the seat belts, air bags). The car is now in the service workshops in Ring Road Cairo, Egypt. I asked for a report on why the safety items did not work. They prepared a very short report in which they replied to me saying that the airbag does not necessarily open in any collision, which does not answer my question honestly. Therefore, I need to investigate this problem because the car needs a lot of money, and I am no longer sure whether the car is safe enough for me and my family. This reply from the workshop is not worthy of the Mercedes reputation and this outraged me.

I have a new 2018 Sprinter Van 3500 and because of needing a windshield repair discovered rust under the windshield on both side in the channel the windshield sites in from top to bottom. Mercedes is claiming that the rust is due to a conversion to a Class C RV as the roof of the cab was cut by the converter and metal particles caused rust to develop under the windshield and it is not a Mercedes problem. I am having a difficult time understanding how metal particles from a conversion would make their way under an already installed windshield on both side from top to bottom in the center of the channel, not at the outside edge. I am disappointed in what I thought was a quality product and the difficulty experienced with a Mercedes dealer in correcting the rust problem. Buyers beware! You may run into the same problems that I have with a 2013 E-Class Sedan. The car (VIN=**) was delivered on 31 Dec 2012 and shortly thereafter developed a problem with the SmartKey. Take my word for it smart this key aint. It works best when at the dealer, when I first reported that problem with the unreliability the reaction was. This guy is a nut. Always very politely but the message was clear. Fortunately the system fail during a non-related service visit at the dealer. That did initiate some more investigation, after several visits to replace door handles, antennas, etc. the key not detected message, failure to lock or unlock still exists. The final straw was when it was determined that the problem was the clothes I wear. The recommended fix was to use a leather cover over the SmartKey. That failed to make any difference so I have given up and decided to live with the issue until the warranty expires. At that time I decided that the only reason buying a Mercedes could be justified is to impress your neighbors. Because I could care less what my neighbors think. Once this car is traded it will be replaced with ANYTHING but a Mercedes. The other issue is the GPS that must have been designed by a high school student. To update to the latest maps you have to wait until the maps for your car are released. It is astoundingly idiotic that the maps for every year, body style and class are different. Not only that for less than half of the update cost you can buy a Garmin that includes the GPS unit and lifetime maps that have markedly superior performance. So much for German engineering. Having said that, the car is a pleasure to drive on the highway, the roadability and comfort can not be criticized.

What makes me choose his/her brand among others is its many advantages including speed, internal features, ease of use, and abundance of refrigeration, making it easy, and available. What I do not like about the Taraz and often bothers me is the lack of the characteristics of the symmetry of the flash and the frequency of the circulation of many people and more than the same quantity of its price in the market.

Do not buy Certified Pre-owned Mercedes Benz. They do not have the same warranty as a new car. Although we paid 60K for our GL 350 including extending warranty, and performed all the expensive services at the Mercedes Benz dealership after 2 years the car was diagnosed with heavy sludge on engine and needed an “engine replacement” which was originally denied by Mercedes Benz US indicating that a new engine will not be covered under the warranty because the Vehicle Mastery Inquiry (VMI) did not show any services prior the date we purchased the car. It was shocking for us to realize that the Mercedes Benz dealership in Miami sold us a CPO Mercedes-Benz with no history of service. The engine was finally replaced but only lasted ONE DAY. Apparently the engine came with issues and a SECOND engine was approved and reordered. All this time they were referring as “NEW PART” or “NEW ENGINE”. I called US Corporate to find out what kind of the engine they were putting in the car because it was hard to believe that a new part has passed all inspections and quality controls but failed after installation. Then, the representative told me that both engines approved to be installed were REFURBISHED or USED engines. Our car was in the dealership for a total of 86 days while waiting for approval to be repaired. I lost confidence on the safety of this car, as it was no longer a reliable source of transportation for my daughter. We ended up trading the GL 350 for a new Chevrolet Tahoe.

I received a phone call last week from Santander threatening me because I took the case to appeal and should win. I recorded the conversation as I have all of them and that is how I proved their lies. I am Pro Se though not by choice. He threatened me then 2 hours later when I went to put my key in the ignition, the words came up take your key from the ignition. It left me stranded there that night. Did they lock me out of my car? I am afraid to take it in because I dont want them to say I stole the vehicle. I dont know what to do.I was stranded for hours. I cannot do my job since I am locked out of my car, this will keep me from filing my appeal. I am a nervous wreck that they are trying to frame me for something I have not done.

2013 E350 serviced every time it required service and every time informed them that the steering wheel tilt does not work - first time it was a software upgrade they installed - still did not fix the problem. Second time they found motor gear locked and unlocked it, again it did not fix the problem. 3rd time they made a steering adjustment and applied lube, and again it did not fix it. 4th time they want to replace the tilt motor for $1,300 and give me a 50% discount. My position is that it is a chronic defect that was never fixed correctly and I should not have to pay anything. The car is now out of warranty approx. 55,000 miles and for me it is the principle and I will never purchase a Mercedes-Benz. This is my 3rd new vehicle with them and it did not matter nor have they treated me like a valued customer. My mistake was that I did not take the car back frequently when the steering wheel did not work - I waited until a regular service was needed and told them every time. A very sad ending. My recommendation - buy Lexus and you will not have this experience. Hard for me to say since I was born and raised in Germany.

I purchased my C280 with 7 miles on it. It was the car of my dreams and my very first new car. To make a long story short, five years after purchase and a lot of money invested in maintenance and repairs and no warranty, Ive been told that I need to replace the camshaft plugs, sensor, adjuster, balance shaft, engine mounts, transmission mounts, timing chain and seals. Not to mention, both door handles broke off a few months ago (and to think I blamed my children). Whats worse, the mechanic added that those problems are common problem in C class vehicles from years 2006 to beginning 2008. Basically, the Mercedes Benz company is aware that this problem occurs in their vehicles due to a plastic camshaft that was previously used. Why wasnt I told this while I was still under warranty? Why werent the parts ever recalled? I am so hurt because I cant afford the $5,500 repair on my dream car! The quality I always thought accompanied the luxury of Mercedes Benz is a joke and I cant begin to express my disappointment.

I had a 2006 ML350. It spontaneously caught fire as it was parked two hours after I had driven it. The firemen state in the report it was an electrical fire and started from a short in the rear taillight harness, much like the investigation in the C-class. They could determine that in only twenty minutes time. I brought this to Mercedes Benz USAs attention and they were careless about the safety dangers that this caused/posed. They said it wasnt a manufacturers defect. Might I remind you the car had been parked for 2 hours. God forbid if consumers found out that the ML-class would be involved in the same investigation as the C-class. They were of more concern about this being leaked or exposed and tried to sweep my case under the rug. They held my vehicle for about 2 months for their investigation and not to have any conclusion of the manufacturers defect is complete BS. They told me that the fire was inconclusive and not a manufacturers defect. Get this! They only gave me one case manager and limited me only to speak with her. After I had asked to speak to numerous other managers and higher ups they told me I strictly couldnt. After being trapped in this corporate cover up I had nowhere else to turn. SUSAN (my west coast regional case manager). How many other vehicle cases did they sweep under the rug like mine? I do not expect this kind of cover-up from Mercedes and would expect them to stand behind their vehicles. I only had 76,000 miles on it. An absolute nightmare!! I purchased my 2008 Mercedes Benz S450. I bought it 17 months ago and have had it in the shop 12 times. Yep. It’s true. The S450 nearly identical to the S550 but it’s a Canada-only edition. It has all the same features as an S550 but a slightly smaller engine therefore less gas consumption (not that I could care less). Within the 1st month, I had it back to the dealership for a $6,000 replacement of the GPS. With only 50,000 km on it (approx. 31,068 miles). It went downhill from there. Somewhere in there I lost my key and the replacement took six weeks and cost $406.13. Currently the catalytic converter is shot on the right hand side (there are 2) and that lovely quote has come in at $2,481 to replace. Cant wait until the other side goes. Sure people stare at this car as I drive by, beautiful lady with long blonde hair driving a high-end vehicle but it sure hasnt been worth it. Im making car payments about $1,000 a month and not only are the regular oil changes brutal ($500 on average) but there are a number of things wrong with the car that were wrong since the day I bought it that the mechanic cant troubleshoot because it doesnt seem to make that noise when he drives it. This includes the Distronic arbitrarily shutting off even on the highway on sunny days with no inclines on the roadway and no traffic with the car being washed just earlier that morning so nothing in the way of road grime. Go figure. The seat never worked properly since day one but since I didnt think the seats performed with the auto-inflation when you turned a corner, I never raised it up with the dealership. Then it cost me $500 after arguing back and forth because they said I broke it. By the way, the reason I never knew the seats were supposed to have this feature is because not only did it not work when I test-drove the vehicle and then bought it but the salesman was having surgery the day I bought the vehicle, and no one explained to me the various features. Ive been reading the very thick and complicated manual trying to see what features my car does have and thats how I found out. Again, when I went back to say it wasnt working since day one the dealership thought I was trying to scam them. Out of frustration I paid the $500 (half the cost) to get the seat fixed but believe me, I will take a polygraph test and prove the seat never worked since day one. I could never re-sell this car with a broken seat so I bucked up and had it fixed. I also take meticulous car of this vehicle and dont like things not working on it. Im exhausted but I still owe $40,000 on the car loan and Im locked in to this nightmare. Would I buy another one? No, of course not. I have owned two Chryslers before this, and NEVER had to pay this kind of maintenance and the one Chrysler 300C is a 2005, has over 400,000 km on it and Im lucky if Ive had to pay $3,000 in total for things that have need replacing. So, looking at the stack of receipts and work orders from the last 18 months, Ive got another three and a half years of payments to go on this thing and then Im free. Come on Mercedes. Stop creating new vehicles and advertising them on TV when you have a mountain of issues from the past to have to resolve. If I ran my company this way, Id be bankrupt and in jail.

The next time they said due to my location, they couldnt help me, after being cut off 4, yes, 4 times waiting on hold and having to call back!Another time I waited an hour and a half and when the guy finally came, he broke off the piece that is supposed to be removed to allow the jack to sit against the underside of my car. I called roadside assistance another time and it rang, said it was connected and no one came on to help me. I had to hang up each time. I called the info button to speak with someone and she just connected me and I was cut off again! The service is worthless and expensive!

We had a 2012 GL450 which we loved. It drove like a dream and convinced us Mercedes would be our choice from that time on. The navi system and controls were the only negative issues. So with that in mind, we upgraded to a 2015 the next year. Totally different car. The headrests are a nightmare. They are big and chunky, and the second row rests bob continually. You have to use pressure to lean back, and it drives passengers insane. You cant leave the rests down with passengers because it is a hard rock in your back if you do. I could go on and on about these. They cant be removed and when we asked the dealer if we had a lemon, he said he checked, and some do it and some dont. So no satisfaction in that.Another change is the seat controls are up higher on the door and not down on the lower part of the seat. This is inconvenient to me. Hard to explain but you tend to look at it when adjusting rather than feeling and keeping your focus on driving. Also, there is restricted movement with the wheel. In the 2012, when you adjusted your seat you could then adjust the wheel to any position, ie up/down/in/out. Not so with this one. Depending on the position it will not give full range. So I cant customize it to fit my comfort. The 2015 does handle well and the navi system is better, but still is not equal to some of the other car companies. But the insane headrests are the deal breaker. We are ready to trade/sell and find another company other than Mercedes.

I have a MB 200C Avantgarde Limited Edition 2009. Vehicle has just reached 45000 Kms & diff has become very noisy. The dealership has offered a factory rebuilt unit if I contribute $1500.00. The muffler also has something loose inside. I thought I was buying German excellence for $75,000.00. Never had a new vehicle with major problem at such low mileage. Will probably buy Korean quality at 1/3rd price & keep the change!

I purchased my second Mercedes a 2013 GL450. In the less than year I have owned this, the check engine light has been a three-week issue to fix. Just after I passed the 50K on miles and just over the time of 4 years the check engine light came on again. $150 to diagnose. They required a compression test as the results was a cylinder losing compression. $400 to run compression test. After a few more days I receive a call that the #5 cylinder head is bad and will need replaced. Losing 60% compression, bleed off on idle. The cost for this repair was going to be $15,000.00. My question was what makes this happen to a car with only 53K miles on it? Manufacturer defect or a poor build job? No real answer other than it was going to be expensive due to the parts to replace, labor, machining that would need to be done and about 2 weeks to fix. Shy of an attorney at this point. I said this needs to be taken care of by Mercedes. Is this a common situation? If so then a new class action lawsuit needs to be filed. A few more days and Mercedes said they would split the cost with me. Now we are at $7500 if nothing else is wrong once they get into the engine. Still this should be on them for something this major with a car that has no more miles than this one has. $15K is 1/2 the price of the value of the car almost. Crazy. I have tried to get Mercedes to take care of this one. It should be on them for something this major with a low mileage engine issue. Still fighting trying to get this fixed. Any suggestions? I am open.

The car computer show Service B. I was asked to pay $695 plus tax. Within that service, there are several points checked, oil + filter and an air filter inside. If there are problems, I have to pay for extra parts and labor. The car is on warranty! I have never heard about any car on warranty to pay extra, until the car was damaged in an accident. The installed GPS within the Navigation System, has extremely old map data and to update, I was asked to pay $ 395+ tax. The GPS has very serious errors. 1. While driving on last left lane Hwy 427 North, close to 409, I was advised to turn left! 2. While driving already on Lakeshore Blvd, East of Browns Line, was asked to turn left to get to Lakeshore! I do believe, that brand new car has to have the newest, actual map data and while the errors are serious, the update should be free of charge, like with any mechanical parts on warranty. The GPS is not even close to GARMIN, where the functions are very logical and easy to use and mine model under $200 had lifetime update plus touch screen.

I purchased a 2015 Mercedes GL-350 in May 2017 with less than 20K Miles on it. I was told that it was still have full factory warranty on it until 4 years or 40K miles. About 6 months after purchased the vehicle; We started to experience an intermittent problem with the rear view camera and 360 view cameras; once in a while when we put the car into reverse, the screen would continuously flipping between rear view and 360 view. I recorded the issue on camera and brought it to the dealer. The mechanic at the dealer looked at the video and drove the car around for 5 minutes then came back and said that he does not see the problem at the moment so there is nothing they can do. About 8 months before the warranty expired, we began to have another intermittent problem with the transmission, every couple of months, the reverse gear does not work. You can put the transmission into reverse, feel the gear engage but the car wont move; we can rev up the engine to 3000 rpm and the car wouldnt move. The only way to get out of that problem is to drive forward for about 1/4 miles, then after that the reverse gear work again until the next time. We brought the car to the dealer, they test drove the car and did not see the issue, so they again told us, there is nothing they can do. Kept having both of these problems every few months, so we recorded the problem with the transmission on video where the dashboard show the gear in reversed, engine rev up and the car did not move (can tell thru the windshield). We bought it to the dealer and show them the problem. They again drove the car around for a few minutes and came back to tell us that there is nothing they can do because the problem does not happen at that time. When the warranty about to expire on this vehicle, I called Mercedes USA (talked to Erik). He told me I should bring the vehicle back to the dealer if the problem comes back, but I will be responsible for all cost of diagnostic and any cost associated with fixing the transmission. I told him I have detail dealer record/video of the problem existed well before warranty expired and it is Mercedes that could not fix the problem. He kept repeating the warranty policy of 4 years/40K miles and owner responsible for all cost afterward, and that was how the call ended. We spent twice the money on this luxury brand and this is how they treated their customers. I will never purchase another Mercedes or any of their franchise brand and I will make sure I tell this story every chance I get.

Mercedes has had a problem with the 48 volt battery since, at least Jan. 2020. The battery shuts off and the car dies even while running. I leased the GLS 450 in April 2021. The car did not start in October 2021 and the 48 volt battery fortunately died while not in use. The message on the dash was “shut vehicle off immediately”. It was at the dealer for almost 3 weeks and of course no loaner was available. When I contacted Mercedes about leasing a defective car to me (which I could have just as well purchased), it took me 3 tries before someone got back to me. Then, they refused to pay the cost of my rental. They said had the GLS been in the shop 4 weeks they would have paid for the rental??? So I paid for the month lease and had the car 1 week plus paid $2000 for the rental. So very unsafe car and poor customer service. Really sad, it’s an $80,000 vehicle from what I believed was a reputable company.

I have replaced 3 tires on my C350 in the past 2 years or so. A blow out at 100km/hr on the highway and 2 tires that have bulges on the inside of the tire that needed to be replaced. I am told by a local tire specialist Fountain tire that I need to replace both tires on the rear and having spend a small fortune I am not prepared to do that. I was advised with low profile tires and the winters in Alberta that this is something I need to get used to and keep paying for replacement every couple of years. These are continental tires and I am considering changing brand and height profile of the tire... Pretty choke with being sold a 4matic that I love to drive but finding out the tires sold are not the right ones for our climate..

2014 GLK 350 with 7k miles, I bought certified last month. My 8-year daughter didnt closed door properly, I took car off parking lot and came to street then sudden beeps with picture indicating door is open. I tried to find a spot to stop and close the door, just missed being rear ended because of this. Customer service told that car will only alert you about this when moving 5-10 miles an hour and driver is responsible for making sure all doors are locked properly before shifting out of park. What a luxury, what to alert to driver if car is already on street with speed and what driver can do. The technology is built into car to alert driver but too late. It should alert before driver starts moving and to top of bad design if driver door is not closed properly and driver tries to close it properly with moving slowly, some pressure on brake the transmission shift to park. Why it is shifting to park to make car stall even if driver dont expect to completely stop and just closing door properly while moving in very slow motion. Also ECO mode engine does not stop more than 80% of time with no A/C running. They should change design of alerting drivers beforehand about loose doors or trunk, it is not 19s car. Probably if this is not taken care of, never Mercedes again for me and my friends.

Of course we have had regular maintenance performed regularly, just like we did on the previous mentioned vehicles. As of today, everything on the Mercedes is working properly. Unfortunately we can not say the same about the BMW or Toyota. Don’t get me wrong, the BMW and Toyota still had strong engines, it was the many little thing that went wrong. ****BUYER BEWARE**** I made the serious mistake buying the 2019 mind you, brand new 16 test miles on it, I thought I finally got my dream car in the past. I did read and hear about buyers of MB who had a lot of complaints (not about the A-220 in all fairness here) but I was doing a lot of wishful-thinking and giving the Benz the benefit of the doubt and a chance; things were going great, it was babied, pampered, driven gingerly, and never rained on at all; well going home one late eve with 580 miles to note, I got a message saying faulty right passenger airbag, service needed... I said WTF?!?! W/ only 580 miles on it?!?! The next day since it was too late, I didnt play the phone game, I took it to the dealership where I bought it. MB of Motorworld in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Well the dumb-act kicked in when I went to the service counter, they did assist me, and tried ordering the part after the techs ran the scan code, telling me, We will have this here tomorrow and Monday at the latest be fixed. (Total BS!) Even though I did believe them; they did issue me a loaner that I drove for nearly 2 weeks Ill get to this here. Here comes Monday. I was told the wrong part was ordered. Someone else told me its on backorder, I said, Dammit. They cant even lie straight! So MB customer service rep Ralph BTW promised me the sun, moon and the stars with compensation, a buy-back option, or trade assist to start over with a different a 220===talk is cheap, empty promises, and NOTHING in writing, go figure! (Keep in mind were talking about a brand new Benz here, just bought and put 580 miles on it, now in for service.) The best part (not!) I was told the part would take, ready for this....2-4 weeks from Germany!!!! Are you freaking kidding me? I said; my car was by then at the dealer not moved, not reparked. Just left to bake in the 90 temps sun for almost 2 weeks! I drove the loaner more than my own car (not by miles) just in general and this made no sense to me esp being so new I was going through this and NO efforts by MB to help me etc; I was then told by Ralph almost week 3 BTW, MB wouldnt do a trade assist or buy out, mayyyybe compensate me some other way..Woww I said, thanks a lot MB for nothing! However in PA here the lemon law states a vehicle in service longer than 30 days is a lemon. I said, So this happens at 580 miles babied by me, whats in the next 580 miles then?? So I took a small hit, and traded out, I couldnt be happier now since I got the last laugh MB. =) This was the other car I had my eye on in the running, got it after all, never again M Benz. Thanks for nothing, zero trust, ill I was attempting to do, was buy a new car from you.

Let me start off by saying that when I test drove my 2010 GL-350 I fell in love with it. The engine was smooth, transmission great and interior quality was fantastic, so I went ahead and purchased it. Despite having 90k miles on it (I have had diesels before and run them until 150k easily and know they can go much higher so the miles didnt worry me) I thought it was a sound decision (I have also owned 2 Mercedes before and loved them both ML-350s). Well after 4 Check engine lights including Blue Tech low (the CEL came on before the warning to top up the tank!), Fuel line break spraying diesel over a relay, Blue Tech heater replacement and an O-ring failure on the turbo and over $3000 in 4 months I finally decided to trade it out. I worked with the Dealer who sold me the vehicle in the first place (MB of Westminster in CO) to try to get a replacement, but I felt like I was starting from scratch again and they were not offering me anywhere near what I paid for it (in effect negating any equity I had in the vehicle) so we ended up at an impasse (interestingly, I test drove a 2010 ML 350 with 45k on it and while on the test drive the CEL came on!!!!) leaving me with a vehicle that was nice to drive, but every few minutes I was looking to see if that Check Engine Light had come on again.....not relaxing at all!! In the end I decided to trade it in for a new Japanese car losing a LOT of money but gaining a car that has a bumper to bumper warranty for 3 years. My advice if you are looking at an older Mercedes - DO NOT Buy!

I love my car which now has over 200 hundred thousand miles. It is safe, reliable and beautiful. I will not trade in or sell it until I absolutely must because it is now an extension of me. Its a luxury car, heated seats, makes me feel special, and smooth ride. I have received a higher level of admiration and respect from others when I drive my car. I have owned Mercedes Benz vehicles for over the past 10 years getting a new vehicle every 2-3 years. I have never had a need for warranty repair until now. What a complete failure! My 2013 S-Class left my wife and kids roadside nearly 2 weeks ago. Towed to the local dealer, 24hrs later I told that my 1 year old under warranty S-Class will not be covered and the repair will be $31,000+ due to lack of oil change. That is simply not true other than I did not have the oil changed by MB! I contacted corporate MB to dispute the dealer’s statement that the repair will not be covered under warranty. I was told someone would call me back within 24 hours. The following day I heard from someone who captured the information and told me she would handle it and I would hear from her soon. That was 10 days ago. No return phone calls! I called this corporate contact 4 days ago for an update and she informed me she has no update for me and would call me back. No return phone call! It has been 12 days, we are without our S-Class, and I have been renting a car myself while waiting on MB. I am disgusted by the poor service provided by Mercedes Benz! This is supposed to be a luxury brand that you pay a premium price and have an expectation of better than average service. That could not be any further than what my experience is. This is the first time I have ever needed warranty of a Mercedes Benz and this is a complete and utter failure! It has come to an attempt using social media to reach someone at MB that cares to service the issue since the normal channels have yielded me no results, not even a return phone call.

In November of 2018 I purchased a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 from Mercedes Music City in Nashville, Tenn. It had 20,000 miles and several months left on the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. I live in Gainesville, Ga so flew there and drove it home. After driving it for 700 miles the check engine light came on and took it to RBM Mercedes of Roswell, GA. They found a few particles of something that was never identified residue in the fuel tank. I also found out the prior owner had check engine light issues also. RBM and Mercedes corporate determined it must be something I put in there and it contaminated the whole fuel system and now it needed $15,000 worth of repairs (whole fuel system needed replacement). I had driven it 700 miles and put 2 tanks of fuel in it. They refused to fix it. I did a lot of research on the internet. They charged me over $1,000 for cleaning out the tank and fuel lines and I left. I took it to an independent Diesel mechanic who tested the injector pump and said it wasnt putting out enough pressure. He replace it and the lift pump in the tank. Cost for repair was $2700. Pump was a warranty item. There was nothing in the old pump. It was just defective. Dealer and Mercedes misdiagnosed the problem and will not pay the repair. They insist they were right. The woman I spoke to at Mercedes was arrogant and didnt give a crap what I had to say or what I could prove. If you’re thinking of buying a Mercedes- dont. Buy a different Vehicle. This will be my last Mercedes.

If I could give no stars - I would. I bought a used SLK (2 years old) with the usual approved mercedes talk that went with it and at the check list showing what work had been carried out before I took delivery. The salesman told me that it was one owner. Turned out to be two when the log book arrived. Mercedes are washing their hands of this lie as the sales man has now left, although I did tackle him before he left and he was looking into it.The tyres were delivered with the check list showing 6mm. 5 months and a puncture later they were 2mm. Again Mercedes have no interest as the tyres are still legal and are not taking any responsibility for my tyres evaporating. I have done 1000 miles in this time. No way on earth have they used 4mm tread, but Mercedes wont budge. They are legal and thats it. I had a wheel taken off and it had to be hit with a hammer to move it. The mechanic recommended I had them greased during my next service, but on the check list it is showing that they had been removed and greased. The car now sticks in a low gear when travelling in slow traffic. Its been back to Mercedes twice. They havent found a fault and apparently no fault is showing on the computer but they have done 200 miles in my car to check it and the last time was delivered back to me covered in mud. I am 4 miles away from the service centre. They have offered to pay for me to have it cleaned (take to a car wash effectively). This is the worst service I have had from anyone anywhere. Mercedes customer service are just weird with their random phone calls that last about an hour but resolve nothing. They dont care about their customers and that it pretty much it. Ive told them that what they need to say is Im very sorry that you are unhappy and we will make sure that your queries are responded to and explained. Rather than their very defensive attitude of the car is legal, the salesman has left - what happened to the customer is king. I will never buy another car from them. Id rather take a bus.

We purchased a Mercedes E350 in 2012. We already replaced 3 tires. Each one costs us $350. We owned more than 20 different cars in our family for all these years and none had this problem. After some web search, we found out the Low Profile Tire which are used on Mercedes E350, will not survive a deep pothole or a curb touch. That is why they have so-called Tire and Wheel insurance. When we purchased the car (new), the sales person did ask us (casually) whether we want to purchase this insurance. He did not bother to explain the significance of the problem. Now they said since we turned it down, they cannot do anything about it. Also there is no way that one can replace the Low Profile Tires with the Regular Tires. We are stuck with this problem. NJ is known to have many potholes on the streets.
