Power steering is leaking on our 2008 ml350 with only 54000 miles. You would assume that power steering in a Mercedes will last longer than that. No parts available, have to buy a whole new steering wheel column $3500. Had to replace the lift gate motor at a cost of $2000. The power steering rack developed a leak causing the oil pressure to the unit to fail resulting in loss of power steering function. This vehicle does not have a warning system to alert the driver of this type of failure. A previous safety recall was issued January 2009 (safety recall #2008-120011) for 2008 ML 320s for a defect such as this. However, this particular vehicle was not part of that recall. We feel this part should last the life of the vehicle without failure.

So with that in mind, we upgraded to a 2015 the next year. Totally different car. The headrests are a nightmare. They are big and chunky, and the second row rests bob continually. You have to use pressure to lean back, and it drives passengers insane. You cant leave the rests down with passengers because it is a hard rock in your back if you do. I could go on and on about these. They cant be removed and when we asked the dealer if we had a lemon, he said he checked, and some do it and some dont. So no satisfaction in that.Another change is the seat controls are up higher on the door and not down on the lower part of the seat. This is inconvenient to me. Hard to explain but you tend to look at it when adjusting rather than feeling and keeping your focus on driving. Also, there is restricted movement with the wheel. In the 2012, when you adjusted your seat you could then adjust the wheel to any position, ie up/down/in/out. Not so with this one. Depending on the position it will not give full range. So I cant customize it to fit my comfort. The 2015 does handle well and the navi system is better, but still is not equal to some of the other car companies. But the insane headrests are the deal breaker. We are ready to trade/sell and find another company other than Mercedes.

Electrical between the lift gate and passenger windows and moonroof have gone out and been repaired more than once. Air sacs & front suspension both failed and replaced. All of this by 60,000 miles.My husband’s 2009 sl63 AMG has also had air suspension issues including needing to replace hoses that the mechanic said Mercedes is famous for. The coolant keeps disappearing and seems to be mixing with the oil through the head gasket on a car with 40,000 miles. Not only is this the worst craftsmanship Ive experienced, the dealership and service departments could not be worse in their customer service or concern to fix any problems. I would love to join anyone in holding Mercedes responsible for these repairs.

For over two years, I took my car in for service whenever the service maintenance light would come on, indicating that the service was due. In 2009, after having service maintenance performed at Ed Hicks Mercedes Benz dealership, I asked a friend, who is a mechanic, to check my vehicle to see if the maintenance I was charged for was indeed performed.After taking off the unit that shows the air filter, it was clear that it had not been replaced in several years with all the bugs and dirt that had collected on the filter. Next, the oil filter was pulled out and it was clear that the oil had not been changed in several months, even though I just had the oil change less than 4 hours ago. On the maintenance receipt, it clearly shows 6 quantities of oil change. C230 maintenance book shows 5.8 quantity of oil per vehicle. After checking other C230 maintenance receipts, I found out that I was charged 7 quantities, on others, I was charged 8 quantities of oil for my car when it can only hold 5.8 quantities of oil. My question is where were the additional quantities of oil being used for if not for my car?I drove my vehicle for over two years believing that the maintenance I was paying for was being done. I now know that they were not. I contacted Ed Hicks with my findings and they admitted that the oil change and filter was not replaced. The service manager was present when I took my car in. He saw for himself that the filter had not been replaced and the oil had not been changed. The mechanic told the service manager that he had an emergency that day and just forgot to complete the maintenance. However, Ed Hick refused to refund me the maintenance they have charged me for the job that was not performed. I need a lawyer that can help!

I negotiated the price on Thursday October 24th, 2019, for a Friday October 25th, 2019 delivery. I was told the car had 1718 miles on it which was the deciding factor to me for agreeing to say yes and no further details were given to me. I relied on those representations to say yes. The next day October 25th, 2019 at 4pm I arrived at the dealer to take said delivery. The car was parked outside and was prepped. I noticed a few dings on the car. When I walked into the show room, I met the reps and told them my findings on said car. I was told that “this was a loaner and that there was bound to be imperfections”. This was not expressed to me prior. I then sat in the car an noticed the scuff on the dash and the mileage being 4424 as opposed to the mileage being 1718. I was shocked and speechless at that point and expressed my displeasure and the reps were equally shocked at the mileage difference. I hesitated on signing but was rest assured that all will be handled. I expressed to Mercedes of Brooklyn that I would like to have the brake pads changed and the minor scuff removed. I was told that they will look into this. Today is Monday October 28th, 2019 and I am told that they will not remedy the situation at all. Very unhappy!

Weve had to wait over a week to get the part to fix the problem, but the auto-lock function does not work. A company like MB cant even get a simple thing like the door lock. Its going to be serviced again, which my car will be in service more days then driven. This ruins the new car buying experience. I bought the car through Dez at Long Beach MB. I had the service done at House of Imports in Buena Park, CA. Not only I had to wait over ten days for the part to arrive, when it arrived some parts were missing, so I had to wait over the weekend and then some to get my car back. When everything is thought to be fixed, it wasnt. The consequence of this defective part and questionable workmanship is having the new car buying experience ruined and it ruined the image of MB. This is my third MB, and this is not something that happens to supposedly one of the most luxurious brands in the world. ML may not be their best car, but it may well be their most important vehicle this year. I cant understand how this could happen to a MB vehicle. Id understand if it was made in China like vehicles.

They lied and cajoled me into a lease only to later find out that I had better features on my 2019 car. They agreed to return my car after going back and forth over the past two weeks after I was able to show that promises were made in writing that couldnt be delivered. So they promised to return my car that had 11,000 miles on it two weeks ago and take back the SUV that didnt have satellite radio or a decent set of speakers or the option of navigation. Today I return their car that I drove for 112 miles. They give me the key to my car which someone has driven almost 2,000 miles with all the filth of the employee that they allowed to drive my car. Everything about this place reminds you of a car dealership that relies on bait and switch sales. Even the manager, Katrina, who went out of her way to tell me that Mercedes would not take advantage of a senior citizen and that as an ** she treats everyone as she would want her ** older parents treated. This is not information that I solicited as clearly she was trying to demonstrate that she would never take advantage of senior citizens. Well if I was a betting woman I would bet that the only ** DNA that Katrina has is from an ** ancestor. The way a business treats current customers merely demonstrates how you will be treated if you lease or buy from this dealership. As a clinical psychologist I dont need to go out on a limb to tell you that if a person lies about something innocuous then they wont hesitate to lie to get your business. Shame on Mercedes for treating your customers with such disrespect and disdain. The fact that they couldnt be bothered to wash or vacuum a car that they drove to Timbuktu (in 2 weeks???) during a pandemic and never disclosed the wear and tear on my car by an employee tells you everything you need to know about Mercedes San Francisco!

If you google this issue, you will see that many of the Smart cars have paint issues, especially the red ones (which mine is). I called the Smart headquarters and I was instructed to apply for the Goodwill out of warranty process. I went ahead and got the estimate from their approved Auto shop and submitted that. I received a call today from Adam from the Mercedes-Benz headquarters and my request to have the car painted was denied. I saved for 3 years to purchase that car new. It now looks terrible and Mercedes-Benz has to know that this is an issue with their Smart cars. So, now I ride around in a crappy looking car. When people ask me how I like my Smart car, I take them for a walk around my car and then inform them that Mercedes-Benz will not back this issue up. I am very disappointed with their customer service. You would think that it would make more sense for them to fix the problem, versus me riding around in a crappy looking Smart car. Clearly, they dont care about their customers and keeping them happy. I would never recommend any Mercedes-Benz dealership. I should have bought a Subaru based on their excellent customer service.

Just an example (not to mention legendary brake light socket problems), both of my front doors power locks have stopped working after 15 months (could not survive one winter in New York due to cheap plastics used in actuators or something). Even my Ford Expedition truck is better quality than ML350 and I have never liked Ford quality. BUYER BEWARE: STAY AWAY FROM MERCEDES BENZ. From what I know this is an electronic piece in the vitesse, so its incomprehensible that it requires to be changed after 75,000 kilometers only. From what we knew, this is a general defect in the car that must be changed despite its high cost (14000egp). As a result of all the above, we demand that you change the spare part on the companys account because in other cars like the Renault the vitesse has a guarantee until 100,000 kilometers. I dont understand how in Mercedes, which is a high class category, it doesnt cover an equivalent guarantee. Please, consider all this in our complaint. Having placed the order I asked the leasing company for confirmation that the car had been allocated by MB. The leasing company suggested I complain to MB and ask them to confirm allocation. I had both written and MB at that time and they seemed to be responsive to my complaint. I then had a call from a woman from MD in Holland and she confirmed that the car had been issued for production, with delivery in Mid January. I contacted the leasing company who subsequently confirmed that the dealer still had no confirmation of allocation. My attempts subsequently to clarify the situation have been a complete waste of time. MB Europe now consider that it is not a problem they will discuss because I dont have a contract directly with them and now it seems the conversation I had about delivery in January is a figment of my imagination. It never happened. In other words I am either an imbecile or a liar. The attitude I get from MB is its nothing that they will comment on. Just completely abandon any responsibility to meet their obligations and commitments. They have the nerve to challenge what I say when I have it in writing. Anyway, needless to say, Im appalled that they just couldnt give a damn.

My 2013 S-Class left my wife and kids roadside nearly 2 weeks ago. Towed to the local dealer, 24hrs later I told that my 1 year old under warranty S-Class will not be covered and the repair will be $31,000+ due to lack of oil change. That is simply not true other than I did not have the oil changed by MB! I contacted corporate MB to dispute the dealer’s statement that the repair will not be covered under warranty. I was told someone would call me back within 24 hours. The following day I heard from someone who captured the information and told me she would handle it and I would hear from her soon. That was 10 days ago. No return phone calls! I called this corporate contact 4 days ago for an update and she informed me she has no update for me and would call me back. No return phone call! It has been 12 days, we are without our S-Class, and I have been renting a car myself while waiting on MB. I am disgusted by the poor service provided by Mercedes Benz! This is supposed to be a luxury brand that you pay a premium price and have an expectation of better than average service. That could not be any further than what my experience is. This is the first time I have ever needed warranty of a Mercedes Benz and this is a complete and utter failure! It has come to an attempt using social media to reach someone at MB that cares to service the issue since the normal channels have yielded me no results, not even a return phone call.

It give a sign of slippery road, refer to your manual. I was forced to steer to the side of the highway before the car came to a total stop. It has been a month already but I they have not figured out what is the problem. Me and my family insist on returning the car. Terrifying Near-Death Experience! For the first few days, I did not hear from the service center until I sent an email to the head office in Malaysia, cc to head office in Germany. Immediately they called to say I could use their s-class Merz until the total diagnosis is done. I refused cos I want to return the default car. I cant sell my car in order to buy another but I am paying installment RM3000+++ I have sleepless night. They said depreciated write off cost would be very high if I am to sell the car. Why I need to bear all the cost? Been searching on the internet and I have found that there are similar cases happened to other Merz owners.

I spoke to a Mercedes service manager in California, who informed me that this transmission valve body and intake manifolds are widespread problems with their cars. I then called MB of North America, and they denied there was a widespread problem and that there is no recall. They told me that the independent import repair owner can order these parts. The owner of the repair shop has called every dealership in the tri-state area and was being told he cant order the parts needed to repair my little red car that I have painstakingly paid for over the last 5 years.I had car towed again to MB Keenan Motors, and they said they have to do a diagnostic test. I told them I already did that and would have results sent to them. No, they said, cant accept tests from different dealership. I have been told that the transmission is a widespread problem, and yet, MB will not recall. I would like to research a class-action suit.

In that time the front discs have been changed once at 6,000 miles and are now due for change again. With a different issue. For the first week or two, the brakes were perfect. Then I could feel the brake pedal was pulsing. After a new set of MB discs. Current issue with these, is horrendous vibration on the car all over the car at minimum braking. (Anything above 20mph). Hard braking, the vibration disappears until you start easing off on the brakes. Or, you get below 20mph.3 weeks ago, it was booked into, first MB (Solihull) dealership, on latest discs changed at 5,500 roughly and car was showing 7,000. Lucas over the phone called me and said front discs are warped. Told him not correct (or words to that effect.) Cant be, its had new MB discs. He told me. In which case take it back to the (non) franchise dealer you bought it from and get them to repair it... which I was not happy with it the slightest. So, I talked to the manager of the dealership and he pacified me by saying, its a known issue, when bolting the wheels up to the hub (Basically fed me **, it turns out).So, two weeks ago, took it to an independent garage. After telling them the issues. They said instead of just slapping new discs on. They would check everything. So, they clocked the wheels to the hub. Both fronts running true. Then clocked the front hubs. Drivers side was running out 0.005 though. Passenger side was running bang on. (So, MB Solihull were wrong, and were effectively going to fit new discs to a hub that was out?)At that point Id decided never to use MB Solihull again. Due to Lucas telling me to take the car back to the dealers Id bought it from over the phone and an incorrect fault diagnosis. I think they were more interested in carrying out the software update to the powertrain module, than sorting out the issue I had with the brakes (Probably never even took the wheels off. Just drove the car. Experienced the vibration and fed me, what is in the customers handbook). Lucas said he would e-mail me the report. Needless to say, that never happened. Yesterday the non-franchised dealers I bought it from, had it booked it into 2nd different MB (Coventry) garage. I though to cure the problem. The dealer told MB Coventry, everything wed learned from the independent garage.I phoned MB Coventry at 2.30pm and was eventually told that theyd found the problem. It was rust on the hub and you have a broken bearing. So youve cured the problem? No. Weve not been told to cure it. And started to talk about corrosion on the mating faces. etc. Straight out of your How to get out of sorting a known issue handbook. (I was not polite, as by then Id realised that I would be driving this heap of scrap on the motorway for another week).Got off the phone and phoned up the garage who stripped the car down last week. They said no signs of rust on the hub. Then phoned the dealer and apparently MB had quoted for Two hubs. Even though one hub was running true... not sure what else they quoted for. Just knew they were trying to rip me off. I then went to the Coventry branch to pick the car up and discuss with the manager, the issues I have. He shows me pics of the hub and shows pics of the broken bearing. So, incredulously I say to him, youve stripped a car down and put it back together again with a broken front hub bearing, and are going to hand that car over to me? (Basically called him a liar as I didnt believe the hub he was showing me, was mine (Even if it was. The implications of giving a car back to a customer with a fault such as that, doesnt bear thinking about).He talked to me, out by the car and went all over the wheels looking for any signs of bangs or refurbishment, even suggested the wheels werent the originals... While he was doing this, I noticed that the outside areas of the wheels, were still covered in brake dust. So, voiced my doubts that theyd even taken the wheels off, at all. He persuaded me they had, as the wheel nut areas you could see no brake dust. Which brings me to the question that if MBs wheels/hubs, etc. are so critical on their mating faces that they need to be spotlessly clean. Surely the very first thing MB should do, before removing the wheels, is to remove any brake dust on the outside? So, when bolting up the wheels, Your not compounding the problem?(The car is vibrating all over the place. A bit more brake dust isnt going to make that much difference). The manager also blamed refurbished wheels? Everything basically that was not covered, by the MB manufacturing warranty. I then said, there is no way I would ever, take a car of mine to MB for anything and I wouldnt trust their mechanics to put my great grand daughters Lego together if their latest diagnosis on my car is to be believed. I will never buy an MB again, as they obviously have a serious design defect, that needs addressing, if the brake discs are that fragile. Manager agreed by looking sheepish, if that makes sense.My perception of MB is that they like scaring people into throwing their money away. Total whitewash with respect to my customers complaint. Obviously couldnt give a damn about their (ex) customers. More interested in trying to screw as much money out of gullible customers as they can. Clearly a good business model. But one ex-customer isnt going to make a difference.

If there are problems, I have to pay for extra parts and labor. The car is on warranty! I have never heard about any car on warranty to pay extra, until the car was damaged in an accident. The installed GPS within the Navigation System, has extremely old map data and to update, I was asked to pay $ 395+ tax. The GPS has very serious errors. 1. While driving on last left lane Hwy 427 North, close to 409, I was advised to turn left! 2. While driving already on Lakeshore Blvd, East of Browns Line, was asked to turn left to get to Lakeshore! I do believe, that brand new car has to have the newest, actual map data and while the errors are serious, the update should be free of charge, like with any mechanical parts on warranty. The GPS is not even close to GARMIN, where the functions are very logical and easy to use and mine model under $200 had lifetime update plus touch screen.

Mercedes Benz refused to repair and I had to pay over R30000 for replacing it. At 150000 km the hydraulic pump collapsed. I had to pay R9000 for a replacement. One month later, it collapsed again!! They replaced it on guarantee. One month after, same problem with the pump happened again. They replaced it and said that if it happens again, it is my problem and they will not look at it again!! Now the car has 170000 km and it does not change gears. I have to stop the car in the middle of the road to switch the engine off to reset the computer and start it again. It happened a couple of times during the day. The central locking is not working either. The suspension is making a terrible noise when I go over bumps. This is the ** car I ever had!! My wife drives a BMW, no problems at all.I wrote to Mercedes customer care services a few months ago about the problems and Im still waiting for an answer. The car is always serviced at Bedfordview dealer. What a ** dealership? Its always my mistake for the failures!! Soon i will take the car outside of BMW head office and set it on fire after I invite all the car magazines and the management of Mercedes to see what I do to rubbish cars like this. I will then walk in to BMW AND GET AN X5.

The first one is the common sensation of getting in drive; the second one is like somebody is hitting your rear bumper. After two years driving the car to Mercedes Benz of Pembroke Pines where they tried all possible solutions directed by MB USA, which include repairing transmission, changing computer programs, replacing a transmission, placing a new parts from Germany and more that can be seen in my car maintenance history, all of this represents two years of stress and loss of my time. Today, I was surprised that MB USA got the conclusion based on one of their specialists that the issue in my car is common for all other cars same model parked at the dealer. Is this not amazing? All the money and time spent to fix my complaint got the great and funny conclusion that this is part of the car design? It is offensive. It is frustrating that we, the customers, look for a good and guaranteed car that make our driving and lives easy without problems and results that now I cannot believe in Mercedes Benz as my dream car because MB is designing and building cars that have issues hidden, not described in their owner manual or at least notified to customers. What is happening with one of the best car brands in the world? For sure Ill not purchase any other Mercedes Benz in my life and will not recommend anybody believing on brands. All are the same! If somebody has a suggestion on how I may elevate my frustration and solve this situation is more than welcome to contact me.

Everything went well on the way up but on the way home while I was traveling at 60 mph, I heard a loud bang. At first I was all over the road and there was a moment when I didnt think I was going to regain control of the car but I did, and pulled off to the side of the road. Not a good ending to the family trip. Thinking it was a flat, I was preparing to change a tire and then noticed that the tire was fine. Four and a half hours from home in the middle of nowhere and I had no idea was had just happened. After an hour or so, the car was towed to a Lexus dealer in Louistown, PA.Since the owner of the Lexus also owned an MB dealership, I assumed they would be able to fix it. I finally got a rental car and was home about 7:30pm on Sunday night. The people at the dealership called me at 8:15 in the morning and were very nice and sympathetic. They indicated that a spring broke and that it broke the axle boot. How is it that a spring breaks on a car with 42k miles?Unfortunately, they were unable to fix the car but set me up with a contact person at Mercedes Benz of State College and even called there to let them know my car was coming. It took about a day to get the car to MB of State College and that is when my experience changed for the worst.I found out that my third party warranty doesnt cover springs but covers everything else that was broken, but because it was a cause and effect they will not cover anything. By the way I was still two days without my car and more than 300 miles away from my car. I have owned a lot of cars and not one of them ever had a spring break. I was curious to know if this was perhaps a recall or something so I called MB of North America. On Tuesday at 4pm, I spoke with a great guy who took my info down and said I should hear back from someone in 24 hrs. The next morning, I called MB dealership of State College at around 10am and spoke with Brian who told me that MB of North America was paying for everything and they will pay to replace the other spring as well because that is the right thing to do. I was very happy and proud once again that I purchased the car. I thought; wow a company that stands by its product.On Friday, I called Brian to make sure that the car was going to be ready. He asked me if I have spoken with a Lindsay ** (Case Manager) from MB of North America. I had not, and asked why. Two hours before I was leaving for a 4-hour drive to pick up my car that I thought was repaired and the expenses were paid for, he indicated that Lindsay was confused and that they should not have said that they were going to pay for it. At the end of the day, the individuals at MB dealership of State College took it upon themselves to determine that if the car was certified before I purchased it they would get MB of North America to pay for the repairs. I was under the impression that my complaint got MB of North America to pick up the tab but I was wrong. Lindsay realized their mistake and what was going on and quickly offered me a credit of $400 to any MB dealer and that it will not expire. She sent me an email which said to contact her 1 week before to make an appointment. That was nice but Im still out $1,000 for the car repairs as well as a couple of hundred for rental cars. All of this due to a spring breaking on a Mercedes Benz with only 42,000 miles.

I dont have any problems like other owners of Mercedes-Benz described here but I am a little bit confused now and scared after reading these horrible reviews if it would be really possible to have problems like brakes complete failure on the highway or sudden fire or any other catastrophic failures resulting in expensive repairs. I do maintain my car myself and so far I dont have any problems - my original tires lasted to 50,000 mi, front rotors and pads replaced for the ceramic at 50,000 miles, I change the oil every 10,000 miles, oil filter after 5,000 miles (it is nicely accessible from the top of the engine - not like other US cars). I have only one issue with rattling sound at the slow speed in the rear on passenger side - it may be a shock absorbent. I have some skills (I used to be a car mechanic on East German cars like Trabant :-) so I can small repairs perform by myself. With something big I wouldnt go to dealership, I would rather find experienced private mechanic in smaller shop. I suspect that after visiting the dealership you may have more problems. Try to change the oils and filters by yourself, rotate your tires and save hundreds of dollars. I love my car and I hope that I will not have the problems like other people described here.

I have a 2012 GL450 with only 40k miles on it and I have had to have the front suspension replaced and/or fixed 2 times in a few months time. I researched if other owners have had this issue and yes it is a known problem since 2008. The MB dealer even knows of the issues this system has had. The problem is serious and is going to cause someone to lose a life or get hurt severely. The front suspension will just drop while you are driving and you receive a malfunction airmatic error on the dash. This seems to me a recall issue, but for some reason MB does not recall and fix the problem, until I guess a family loses a life. Fortunately my vehicle is still under warranty and they say they will fix it, but this is not my concern. My concern is that this issue is a real safety issue and the NHTSA needs to look into it. Look Takata stepped up and are fixing their faulty airbags, MB you need to fix your suspension systems before someone get hurt or killed.

Great, but the car does not have an air freshener, nor has it been washed except for when Mercedes-Benz Tampa did the tint. I took it back and has been parked. Only thing I can think of is when they did the window tint something got there, but my personal opinion is that it is just falling apart. Especially after I read reviews about you cant wear lotion because the soft touch trim peels, etc. Ask how much to fix it, $5,700 dollars. What a crock.Call Mercedes-Benz USA, they act like they are interested and then do not even call back. After tracking them down (granted the caseworker had a baby and ended up going on maternity leave), they basically just say the dealer is not going to do anything about it and we support them. Thanks for nothing and making me waste a week.

Ive had more problems with this vehicle and spent more money in the few months Ive had the Metris than I have ever on a vehicle, and I usually get between 250,000 and 325,000 miles on a vehicle.The salesman left the dealership right after I bought the van and the service dept. instead of fixing the warning light they filled the fluid levels! Ive already talked two friends into not buying a Mercedes! The salesman told me they only allowed 100.00 for my van which had 4 brand new tires and battery as they could only scrap it. I would have taken it back and given it to public radio but he said they had already sent it off! Should I go on? When I had the tires replaced because they said they were not safe I took the tires and they look fine to just about everyone who has looked at them. I had to have air put into the tires two days after I purchased it as the light for air pressure was on. I am a professional and because I am a woman I pay attention to vehicles and everything that affects me and my business. Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta refused to correct the problem and now that I just reached the 125,000 miles limit, they are telling me the cost is $7000 while MB USA settlement letter clearly states that the reasonable cost is $4000 minus MB USA discount from settlement. While I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta, I am willing to give them the opportunity to redeem themselves. I have called Margarite (800-624-6736 ext **) numerous times and she refuses to return my calls. If MB USA cares about its customers and its reputation, they will address this issue.

Luckily, I was standing there and stopped it from decapitating him or causing a brain injury. However, it did cause a serious blow to the head. The Mercedes dealer in Tucson, AZ said this was a known danger. The springs/shocks wear out. Repair would cost $200. Mercedes Benz is negligent in failing to warn owners of this known danger, and knowing the danger exists, in not installing a security rod (as I have in my 87 Honda Prelude) in case the springs/shocks fail. Someone could be killed or decapitated if this heavy hood dropped on them. The Tucson Mercedes dealer was unwilling to lower the repair price from $200, so I took it to the mechanic who has kept my 87 Honda running for 28 years. He replaced the springs/shocks in the hood for $25 each, total $50. At the same time, to prevent a fatal accident or head injury, if the rear tailgate springs/shocks should fail, he replaced them for $30 each, total $60. So brand new shocks for both the hood and tailgate cost a total of $110, rather than $200 for only the hood as quoted by MB.In addition to this life-threatening problem, the sunroof does not work, the locks dont work, the rear windows get gummy if theyre rolled down, the plastic cover over the inside light on the tailgate falls off whenever we open the door, the automatic seat adjustment doesnt work, the air conditioner compressor died, etc. We are terribly disappointed in this car and in Mercedes for not standing behind their product, but rather charging exorbitant prices for repair. This is the second lemon weve had from Mercedes. Both were purchased NEW from the Tucson Mercedes dealer.

It came back that I had a balance shaft issue. MB settled out of court with this issue. I have owned this car for 8 years. They had my address on file for all eight years and never sent me an message that I had a issue with my car. What a class company. I am trying to speak to a manager right now and have been on hold for over 35 mins. Clearly they believe in good customer support. Going forward based on the way I have been treated. Dont plan on buying any MB in the future and will be selling all of the MB that I own today which is 3. You learn about a company in tough time and MB failed the test.

Of course we have had regular maintenance performed regularly, just like we did on the previous mentioned vehicles. As of today, everything on the Mercedes is working properly. Unfortunately we can not say the same about the BMW or Toyota. Don’t get me wrong, the BMW and Toyota still had strong engines, it was the many little thing that went wrong. I would strongly recommend the Mercedes. We have purchased an E class Mercedes and are confident it will be as great as our still C230.

The purchase was Jan 5 2015. The car was in the shop a lot. I average about 65k miles a year. I had used the warranty several times without a hitch. 2 weeks ago my car was in the shop and I get a text from my writer saying, MBUSA has canceled your warranty. Come pick up your car. So I did. I arrived at the dealership and was amazed that they returned a broken car that looked like they parked it under a tree full of birds. Very tacky. Now, afraid to drive the car. I baby it every time I drive it. Of course thats no good. The car left me stranded last night in the middle of nowhere and dumped all the oil out. Seems a little convenient. Almost like they knew it would happen. I have been in the auto business for many years and have never seen a customer treated this badly. Thats not the whole ugly story but Im sure you get the gist of it. Big thumbs down for MBUSA. BTW, I sell German cars and we are a class act compared to this manufacturer.

The car is an absolute nightmare. The quality of MB has gone down badly and they are truly not worth the price. For 40000 I could have gotten a super equipped x1. Upon arrival while picking up my new lease I was advised that my car has been hit and damaged and I would not be able to pick the car up. I waited almost 2 weeks because the paint was being shipped from another country. After that I picked up my car and had no problems with it until June of that year. My first attempt of turning on my AC for the summer was a failure. The AC was not working on my brand new Benz. I took it in for service 5 times for the same issue and every time they assured me that the problem was solved only for it to happen again. Yesterday July 27, 2014 I was driving on the highway going 70 mph, 2 miles before my exit I decide to get off the highway, and thank God I did or else I wouldnt be writing this right now. As soon as I got off the highway my car went from 50 to zero in a matter of seconds.Thankfully I got off when I did or I would have died on that highway or I could have killed someone. Still in a panic I called my dealership and explained what had happened, they told me to contact roadside assistance and have the car towed there and that a loaner car was waiting for me. And so I made the call, I waited for them for an hour. My car could not turn on and it was 95 degrees outside. Finally when the gentleman arrived he loaded my car and we started driving. He then informed me that my car was going to the Novi location which was 30 mins away from where I was now. I explained that my car is to be towed to West Bloomfield, the driver stated that he could lose his job if he did not drive to Novi. I called roadside assistance and they spoke to the driver and told him to turn the truck around and take me to West Bloomfield, he did not listen.We finally made it to Novi, Im beyond furious at this point. The representative at the desk said, I dont have a loaner car for you, and the earliest we could look at your car would be next week. After an argument between myself, the tow guy and Novi dealership I got back into the truck and drove 1 hour in the opposite direction back to Bloomfield Hills. Upon arrival my loaner car was ready. I was then on my way. I then called corporate and advised them of what had happened. I also told them that I no longer feel safe in my car and I either want my lease terminated or to be put in a new car. Today they called me saying it was a computer problem (the whole computer burned out) and once they change the computer my car will be running fine again. I refuse to drive that car, Im waiting on a call from corporate. In conclusion, Mercedes Benz sucks!!!

He called Tow company, who also could not jump and gave same opinion, crazy that the starter could be gone! The ECO start/stop is believed to be the cause and if you read other problems it does a number on the wear of a battery and starter due to the excessive starting and stopping compared to vehicles without this!!! VERY IRATE AND DISAPPOINTED out of my new car for 2 days and everyone is sorry for my inconvenience.

I have owned an Acura in the past and was pleasantly surprised by Acuras outstanding customer service. However, I chose Mercedes, assuming they too would have impeccable service. This assumption was far from the truth. The Mercedes did not come with running boards and since I am short and we live in rainy Oregon, its essential to have running boards and mud flaps. We didnt want to have mud flaps put on until we received the running boards as the two really need to be installed at the same time. We have now been waiting over one year for the running boards. I have called Mercedes directly and been told we have been put on the preferred list but they did not have an ETA of when I would actually get them.To make matters worse, I purchased rubber floor mats and received a recall notice for the drivers side, took the mat in and was told they had to actually take the current mat, mail it to Mercedes and wait for Mercedes to mail the new one back. Again I am told, no ETA, and off the cuff, good luck with that...

I live in NH, purchased 2017 GLC 300 in the Spring and was told I would need winter tires (which I always need on my SUVs). Salesperson did not tell me I wouldnt be able to get snow tires for this car. The tires are run flats and the size is a rare run fast snow tire size. MB USA told me I could purchase regular snow tires, but then I would have to purchase a new wheel and tire for a spare at the cost of over $700 just for the spare! Even if I wanted to buy a spare, the car is designed for run flat tires only and there is no place to store the tire and no jack, etc. I told MB that I refuse to buy 5 regular snow tires, and lug the smelly spare around in the back of my car. Additionally, it would take up all the space that I use for luggage, groceries, etc. I am insisting on returning the car. I spent a lot of time considering a new SUV, and would have immediately taken the GLC 300 off the list if I had been informed of this situation. So, here I am in NH, living on a steep dirt road without snow tires.

I highly recommend Mercedes-Benz. I have 1996 w124 250d with the OM615 engine non turbo version for last 3 years, currently 500,000 km or even more. No problems with it, everything works smoothly like it was built yesterday. Fuel consumption is great 6.5l/100km on motorway. I love the suspension in this car, it feels like driving on a cloud. I would say that its one of the best engineered cars ever made. Car is very reliable and never had any major issues with it. Also service parts are not expensive and widely available and doing service or even changing brakes is very intuitive and doesnt cause any trouble so everyone who owns set of basic tools can do it. I understand that the car is almost 20 years old and some people might think its awful and ugly, I suppose its up to individual taste. I personally love old-school cars. Used to own 1990 BMW e30 325i, 1991 VW Golf gti and 2000 BMW E46 320, them cars where not bad and it was fun driving them. But w124 gives me so much driving pleasure.

Last year the front passenger seat, when you try to adjust the seat forward or backward only one side moves. Therefore the seat becomes one sided. When we took it in to the dealership they said that the mechanism under the seat needs to be changed. Guess how much it costs? Close to USD5000.00. How can a prestigious vehicle such as this have a defective part that powers a seat that was hardly ever used? Inferior comes to mind. So how can I get some relief?

The engine was smooth, transmission great and interior quality was fantastic, so I went ahead and purchased it. Despite having 90k miles on it (I have had diesels before and run them until 150k easily and know they can go much higher so the miles didnt worry me) I thought it was a sound decision (I have also owned 2 Mercedes before and loved them both ML-350s). Well after 4 Check engine lights including Blue Tech low (the CEL came on before the warning to top up the tank!), Fuel line break spraying diesel over a relay, Blue Tech heater replacement and an O-ring failure on the turbo and over $3000 in 4 months I finally decided to trade it out. I worked with the Dealer who sold me the vehicle in the first place (MB of Westminster in CO) to try to get a replacement, but I felt like I was starting from scratch again and they were not offering me anywhere near what I paid for it (in effect negating any equity I had in the vehicle) so we ended up at an impasse (interestingly, I test drove a 2010 ML 350 with 45k on it and while on the test drive the CEL came on!!!!) leaving me with a vehicle that was nice to drive, but every few minutes I was looking to see if that Check Engine Light had come on again.....not relaxing at all!! In the end I decided to trade it in for a new Japanese car losing a LOT of money but gaining a car that has a bumper to bumper warranty for 3 years. My advice if you are looking at an older Mercedes - DO NOT Buy!

The service manager Dan notified me that I did have the problem and that it would cost approximately $6,000.00.I had been talking to MB USA about some type of assistance. MB USA notified MB of BR and promised to pay 50% of the bill. I only had $2,000.00 which I told Dan. I went and borrowed $1,000.00 to repair my truck. MB of BR kept my vehicle about three weeks. I was called by Dan on Wednesday, August 10, to tell me that my vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. I arrived at the dealership at approximately 5:45 p.m. I paid for the vehicle and drove it to Prairieville, LA, approximately 30 minutes away from the dealership. I went shopping at Walmart. I cranked my vehicle at 7:05 p.m. I heard a loud noise and the car cut off. I restarted and I had plenty of codes on the screen. I immediately called MB of BR at 7:09 p.m. and left a voice message about my vehicle. I returned the vehicle to MB of BR the next day. I was notified yesterday, August 16, 2010, that several sensors had gone out and it had nothing to do with the repair work that they completed on my balance shaft. I was quoted $1,700.00 to fix this problem. I only drove the car for 30 minutes, approximately 20 miles, and my car broke down. I was never notified about any other issues with the engine; however, I was made aware about some routine maintenance such as new tires, brake pads, and a shock. I have tried to talk to the owner, Joe, the service manager, Dan and Bryan, who is over at the repair area. I also talked to Gwen and Margie. Bryan told me that I told Dan to only fix the balance shaft problem. Dan and I disclaimed that statement. I never told anyone at MB of BR to only work on the balance shaft problem. I never knew anything about other problems and was not given that information. When I left MB of BR, my vehicle was clear of any errors. Bryan claims that he even drove my vehicle approximately 70 miles and he did not get any codes; however, within 20 miles of me driving it, it broke down. They disconnected the electrical system and removed the motor, and MB of BR is telling me that the new problem did not stem from them working on the vehicle for three weeks.

Later in January, whilst driving with my family the rear door alarm came on, in a panic I asked my daughter to hold the door while I parked in the emergency lane. On inspection I noticed the door handle awkwardly open, even with constant pushing the door would not close!I took the car into the London dealership where the car was inspected (I also pointed out other quality concerns which I still feel have not been addressed). Later in the evening I was told, We have checked the back door and oiled the mechanism/door lock and this should fix the problem. On my further instance I was told the whole door locking system would be replaced as a precaution until then I could drive my car as it was safe to do so. Happy that qualified Mercedes Benz technical staff had given me a green light to drive without fear of safety concerns I returned home. One week after, the same incident repeated itself with my family in the car! I called the team at service adviser and informed him of the incident. I expected to hear something reassuring but was told the parts were on backorder, I will get back to you tomorrow on how we can solve this for you. As Mercedes Benz, I would expect a much higher standard of product quality and customer care, both of which are absent. Does Mercedes Benz not care about serious safety concerns on their cars? I fear not only for my safety but the safety of other families that may experience this or worse. Please live up to the promise you make to your customers.

I in turn looked up info on this problem and have noticed this to be an ongoing and unaddressed issue with the make and model years 2008-2009.My question to you, upon communicating my concerns to the service center who currently has my car for repair, is, what are you doing to rectify this problem and since it is an ongoing concern why has a recall not been done on this or why are customers being charged upwards of 1500.00 USD to have these repairs completed. I for one know the cost of repairs for a car in this category of cars, but I do not feel it appropriate that because an issue within the manufacturing of this vehicle is a cause for repair should I have to pay to have an identified manufactured deficiency repaired. I am very disappointed that this has occurred a number of times and nothing has been done to rectify the expenses incurred in this matter.

Both Mercedes-Benz and their dealerships do not understand the importance of tracking software on cars and fixing it to avoid problems. Our emergency braking system was shut down by the computer due to software problems. MB should have been able to proactively update the software in order to avoid this problem just based upon the VIN number and production dates. I am waiting for the 3rd safety issue so I can return this car to them under the Lemon Law. Dealerships should be staffed by people who are technically savvy as well as mechanics. Mercedes-Benz is delivering a substandard product due to lack of responsible practices after the product leaves the factory. Do not purchase or lease a GLA250 or believe the reporting on the internet that the 2016 models had safety issues address by the company. Its simply not true.

After several days and repeatedly calling them, I was finally told that my fuel pump went out as well as the wiring had melted and the level switch needed replaced. Oh and by the way this will cost $1850 give or take a penny. 9 days later the repairs were complete. I paid my bill and life appeared to be good again. I was humming along for a whole 9 days and lo and behold a siren like sound emitted from the rear of my vehicle, namely the fuel pump area. This occurred 3 1/2 days ago. I now cannot get a return phone call and I have yet to receive a diagnostic. Is it really asking too much to get an update on my vehicle?! I wish I could contact someone from Mercedes Benz and explain to them that we have another fine choice for our automobile repairs called the Foreign Exchange. But by Bob Ross having a monopoly it is giving Mercedes Benz a horrible name. Please Mercedes address this issue before I choose not to own another one of your cars. Your name has always stood for quality and I am concerned that this repair center does not.

Heres my issues with the Manufacturer and the Car: This is a plug-in hybrid so I expect it to charge at any Charge Point locations available. My C350e DOES NOT charge at my work location - I have 8 Charge Point stations here, none of them work for my car!! The charging stations work for 15+ different models though with no issues - Nissan Leaf, Chevy Bolt, Volt, Prius, Ford, BMW i3, i8... The list goes on. But my Mercedes WOULD NOT charge here. And when I call Mercedes Customer Service they told me as long as it charges at home thats all they care about. The Charge Point stations is not their concern. I used to own a VW eGolf and I charged it at work for last 3 years without any issues.My primary reason for choosing the Mercedes C350e model was to receive the HOV lane sticker for it, Mercedes Pleasanton dealer told me they take care of DMV forms for it - this was great to hear. Exactly 2 months after the purchase of my car, I heard back from DMV that Mercedes has sent outdated form for the HOV lane sticker. Now I have lost 2 months time due to inefficient people working at the dealership!! The clock starts again now! Mercedes has an App for iPhone which can help with many functionalities of the car - called Mbrace. I wasnt able to link my car to my account for several days. Mercedes and Mbrace customer service kept blaming each other for the issues with the App - finally it got resolved when I had to take them on a conference call.In general I have noticed that Mercedes has silos within their customer service department - instead of providing solutions to customers they provide the GO-TO info and their phone numbers to me. This is very frustrating and I did not experience it with my other cars - VW, BMW, Toyota, Honda etc. Overall its my first time owning a Mercedes and so far I am yet to receive 1 satisfying answer from their customer service department. I wish there was a way to return this car!! Do I have any options?

As I drove off the parking lot, I opened the glove compartment, and it fell to the floor. I quickly called my service advisor; he suggested I take it in as soon as I could. And I did; after assessing the damage, the service manager called me and became argumentative, refusing to take responsibility. He not only betrayed my trust, he insulted me, his last words were: We are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. This is not remarkable customer service; in fact, its no customer service at all. The damage is self-evident, an obvious blunt force and trauma to the glove compartment. A client for a decade; I was planning on purchasing my next car there next year; not to mention, I spent close to $4000 on the lights and back breaks. If you want quality, chose a different dealership.

The salesman Jimmy ** says that the previous owner told him that when you put gas in the light went off and sent me on my way. I came in twice more with the same complaint only to be sent away again. A short time later the cel stayed on. Eventually I had to get my car registered and have the car smogged. The smog place so the cel on and would do no more work. He suggested that I take the car back to MBWC where I purchased the car. I had an extended warranty that canceled but was told it could still be used. I was given a loaner car for a month but when MB could not get paid with the extended warranty they took the loaner back with no charge. I thought this strange. I called the general manager to discuss with him. After he spoke with his people he told me what his people said but did not have an ear for anything I had to say. My car has been at the MBWC dealership since April and after calling AGAIN general manager called to tell me they had not realized my car was still there and that after a couple of days they would start charging me storage. The last attorney I spoke to told me I didnt have a case because the amount of money I would get would not be enough to cover his attorney fees. He is greedy. I am still making payments on my car. Also result of the cel being on the problem with the transmission was missed. I now need another transmission which I got an estimate of $2200+ and the cam shaft issue $7000+. I really need help. There is a lot more but so much to type. Is there anyone willing to help steer me in the right direction?

Looks like a museum piece! At around 30k miles the leather sit seams came apart! (???) Note that I have the massage package so you would expect a top quality leather. Dealer did me a favor and replaced it. Later I found out that MB *knew* about the upholsterys low quality they used.Now, at 40k miles the left side of the driver seat is peeling off!! Went to the dealer - horrible dealer btw - (MB of Nanuet RT 304 Nanuet, NY) and the service manager, without even looking at it said, Oh! Wear and tear not covered, sorry. Are you kidding me??? 40k miles? I weight 180 pounds, tall and slim. My neighbor has a BMW with over 80k miles, he weights probably 350 pounds and the seat look like new! Do yourself a favor. MB has the reputation but the quality parts they use - at least the leather - is horrible. Never ever again!! And also stay away form that horrible dealer. I plan to put a sign in my vehicle and drive around with a picture of the peeling leather and the name of the dealer who refuses to take care of it. That, based on the mint condition of the vehicle most likely will raise eyebrows. Shame on you Mercedes Benz!

I reported this to Mercedes (MBUSA) and asked that they inspect the car because this was clearly a defect. The internet is littered with stories/complaints of GL450 seats catching on fire (Google GL450 fire). They said they would inspect it. After much prying, they never did an inspection. A friend with a GL450 called Mercedes to ask about these events that are on the internet that I had forwarded to her. They told her that no one had ever submitted a formal complaint on this, that they had never heard of that and she should not worry. This companys disregard for the lives of the people that buy their vehicles is appalling. You buy these cars because you think they are safe, yet when the company has been contacted on numerous occasions about a defect that has the potential to kill people, the company does nothing to fix the problem and lies to customers saying they have never heard of a GL450 catching on fire. Its as if they dont think we can search for things on the internet. I will never trust Mercedes again. I cannot believe they knowingly leave these cars on the road with seat heater defects that are literally like bombs going off when the car is unattended in a garage. This company has no respect for human life.

MB mechanic had no idea what happened and hasnt been able to fix it. So the brakes have to be replaced. But the labor costs of fixing this has to be the customers paying for it? Ive been asking services department management and customer care from MBUSA, they all stated that no warranty coverage from the issue of brakes. Especially customers have to pay to get fixed even though we as a customer that has been negligence. This’s an issue of manufacturing products issues!!! But MBUSA makes the customers pay for the maintenance costs!!! If anyone buy a MB nowadays, be aware of this issue. When products and services come to have problem without company policies will cover, they will reject to pay and cover even though the customers were right!!

The fuel economy is excellent and as we do a lot of distance traveling we certainly enjoy the comfort and the road handling. Being an Estate find the loading space in the boot great for trips to Bunnings and for trips to the beach with grandchildren and dogs. Have already done 150 kilometres in 4 years and with regular servicing hope to get over 200 kilometres before replacing it.

I received a letter from Mercedes mbrace saying my complimentary trial period for mbrace secure service would convert to a billed service (as Id expected) and I could call them to cancel that, so I did. After some of the usual Q&A, I told the guy to cancel it. He told me how great it is. I told him to cancel it. He told me how great it is again. After this went on a few more times I started saying just cancel it while he was still selling. He said I needed to hear why it was so great (not his words). This went on a few more times and I switched to say I want to speak to your manager. We went around with this a few more times while he continued to sell and I continued request his manager. Finally I told him one more time to cancel it and hung up.Then I called the number again, talked to a different agent, told him I wanted to talk to his supervisor regarding the other, rude agent. After a while a supervisor came on the line, sounded nice, but then told me I cant cancel the account until within 30 days before the trial period lapsed. The letter I received said nothing about this, and after a bit the guy said he could do it today (apparently a favor) -- but only after he tried to sell me some more! Of course he didnt phrase the sales pitch that way, he called it a reading a disclaimer. I tried a few more times to instruct him to cancel the service without effect, so hung up again. I don’t think I’m under any obligation to hear a sales pitch after I’ve given clear instructions – many times! This is not what we expected when we bought a Mercedes.

I have done some research and it seems that this is something that has happened to many Mercedes Benz automobiles and isnt specific to my model, which is a 1997 C280. I am so disappointed. The motor runs great and I love the car, but this is absolutely ridiculous! I went out one day and the key just wont turn no matter how hard I tried and what I did. I dont even know what the problem is. I dont know if the steering wheel is locked somehow and I just need to somehow get it unlocked or if its jammed or if something isnt lining up inside where the key goes. I dont know.

Remote starter only works 1/2 the time. It gives you a error and tells you to try later. Called tech support many times. They get it working for a while and does same thing. Also you cannot remote start unless you have a 1/2 tank of gas or more. That is stupid. I always have to fill up to use the remote starter? I could understand if gas light was on. But that is ridiculous. Also run time is only 10 minutes. In new England cold that is not even close enough to warm car up.

2014 GLK 350 with 7k miles, I bought certified last month. My 8-year daughter didnt closed door properly, I took car off parking lot and came to street then sudden beeps with picture indicating door is open. I tried to find a spot to stop and close the door, just missed being rear ended because of this. Customer service told that car will only alert you about this when moving 5-10 miles an hour and driver is responsible for making sure all doors are locked properly before shifting out of park. What a luxury, what to alert to driver if car is already on street with speed and what driver can do. The technology is built into car to alert driver but too late. It should alert before driver starts moving and to top of bad design if driver door is not closed properly and driver tries to close it properly with moving slowly, some pressure on brake the transmission shift to park. Why it is shifting to park to make car stall even if driver dont expect to completely stop and just closing door properly while moving in very slow motion. Also ECO mode engine does not stop more than 80% of time with no A/C running. They should change design of alerting drivers beforehand about loose doors or trunk, it is not 19s car. Probably if this is not taken care of, never Mercedes again for me and my friends.

As of May 24, 2016, I spoke with the General Manager, Dan **, several times this week, at the St. George, Utah, Mercedes-Benz Dealership. He was professional and promptly investigated my complaints and concerns. Dan stayed in constant communication with me. Upon completion of his investigating the facts; he determined that since his organization diagnosed the problem on my vehicle incorrectly, that he would in his words, make it right, and honor the initial estimate and make the repairs on my vehicle accordingly at no additional charge to me. He ordered the additional parts and apologized for any inconvenience this ordeal has caused me and my family. At this point, I am very satisfied with the outcome and looking forward to picking up my vehicle by Saturday. It is refreshing to me to see that good leadership does still exist in business today. As a consumer, it is very important to give the decision makers and people in positions to affect outcomes an opportunity to solve the problem. Sometimes, things are not as they appear on both sides of a disagreement. I would like to thank Dan and his Service Department Team at Mercedes-Benz of Saint George, Utah, for again making me a satisfied customer. I would recommend this organization to all potential car buyers, my friends, and family, without reservation. A reasonable price deal was agreed upon and according to the MB dealer, fuel filler would be sorted before collection. No chance. Two fuel flaps later and after they have collected (Greenoaks Slough) and put a chip on my windscreen, they cant fix it to get it fitting correctly. MB customer services wont do anything and say its the way the vehicle is designed. Yes. They do MB cars with bits that dont fit. This is my first MB, I am very pleased with the car but not the after sales. This is no better than a back street car lot with a second hand car salesman. I had a C class loan vehicle while they had a look at my vehicle and its fuel filler flap is just perfect. I know its a different model but the principle is the same. It also proves that MB cant do it right. Why, MB? Never again, Im afraid!

It is my duty as a member of my community to issue this public service announcement. Please read and think carefully before buying or leasing any Mercedes vehicles. My wife had always dreamed of driving a Mercedes. After months of shopping around for the best model, I finally surprised her with an E350 in November 2013. Unfortunately, within one month a bubble was formed on the front passenger tire and it ended up popping while I was driving 30mph on a date night with my wife. I brought it into Mercedes to be serviced and I was assured that this does not happen often, so they replaced it for free. After this first incident, I was a bit wary but still was optimistic that her car was safe to drive.About a month later, my wife was driving alone late in the evening on her way to a class when she hit a minor pothole and both her front tires popped. My wife immediately panicked, because she was stuck in New Rochelle, pulled off to a road late at night and had to wait two hours in the cold for a tow truck to come. During this long wait, she noticed hundreds of cars driving over the same road that were not affected. This was the last time she ever drove this car alone.Through the spring, I continued to notice bubbles appearing on the tires. In March of 2014, there was a bubble on the front and rear passenger sides of my car, which both had to be replaced. This brought the count up to 5 tires in 4 months. By April, there was another bubble on the front passenger which brought the count up to 6, so 6 new tires within 5 months. Im 52 years old, and have driven over a dozen cars in my lifetime and I have never experienced anything like this. Every time I would bring my car into Mercedes I was told that my car was safe and this shouldnt happen again.In September of 2014, around 9 months into my Mercedes experience there was yet another bubble forming on the front passenger side of my car. As usual, I brought my car in to be serviced and they assured me that this would not happen again. I was skeptic, but I needed a car to get to work, so I continued to drive the E350, which had become my car after my wifes traumatic experience with it.The winter was a long, brutal one so I tried to avoid driving the Mercedes as much as I could. Once the snow cleared up, I started to drive it more regularly and of course in the second week of March, I noticed a bubble on both the front and rear passenger sides of the car. Ive become an expert on these situations, so as per usual, I brought it into Mercedes to be serviced. Less than a week later, I was with my wife, and her friend who has a newborn child when the car hit a pothole on the freeway. The front passenger tire popped, and the three other tires had bubbles that had to be replaced. We had to sit on the highway, with a newborn child and wait 40 minutes for a tow truck to come and rescue us from this madness. During this 40 minutes, with the baby crying and my wife and her friend in fear that another car could crash into us as we waited on the highway, I observed that no other car had any issues driving over those potholes. My tire count was now 13 tires in16 months. 9 days later, I was driving home at night around 10PM and yet again another tire blew. Although Im young at heart, I can no longer deal with the stress and fear of driving this luxury car. I had previously owned or leased many different brands of luxury cars including Lexuss and Audis and I have never experienced anything like. After every one of these occurrences I called Mercedes and asked if there was any way I could get a new model car that wouldnt have this issue or end my lease short, and they continuously blew me off. After my 14th tire had to be replaced, I called Mercedes corporate to alert them of this issue and to my surprise they werent alarmed and didnt seem to think this was a serious issue. The regional manager I spoke to - **, who claims to not have a supervisor told me that the issue was with the roads, not with the car. Yet, when I asked him why this happened to me through every season and didnt seem to impact any other cars, he had nothing to say. So, please, think carefully before letting any of your loved ones or yourself drive one of these dangerous vehicles.

I have solid proof that my Mercedes was illegally tampered with by one of the dealerships in my hometown. I can prove that the dealership set me up to have my car malfunction and killed the battery to 4.2 volts, leaving me with a dead car that same day. The following day (if I had not been fortunate enough to have my engineer buddies jump my car for me), the dealer would have had a window of opportunity to charge me with repairs that were unnecessary. There are records that I can indicate that my car was still in good condition after my car was charged by up. There are many details and facts that I would be gladly present to all who wants listen.
