Lexus Automobile Model 2026 Lexus IS
2026 Lexus IS
The 2026 Lexus IS continues as one of the last traditional sport sedans in a segment that is rapidly moving toward turbocharged four-cylinders, hybrids, and electric vehicles. For 2026, Lexus gives the IS a refreshed design, updated technology, and a simplified lineup, while keeping its core identity focused on driving engagement and naturally aspirated performance.
Overview and Positioning.
The 2026 IS is not a full redesign but a significant refresh of the current generation. Lexus has chosen to refine the formula rather than reinvent it, which makes the IS stand out as a more “old-school” option compared to many of its rivals.
One of the biggest changes is the streamlined lineup. The IS is now offered exclusively as the IS 350, eliminating lower-powered models and the high-performance V8 version.
This makes the entire lineup focused on a single, well-balanced performance configuration.
Design and Exterior.
The 2026 IS receives updated styling that sharpens its sporty character.
The front end features a revised grille and slimmer headlights, giving the car a more aggressive and modern appearance. The stance remains low and wide, emphasizing its performance-oriented nature.
At the rear, a full-width light bar adds a contemporary touch, while new wheel designs enhance the overall look.
Overall, the design evolution is subtle but effective, keeping the IS visually competitive without straying too far from its roots.
Interior and Comfort.
Inside, the IS blends sportiness with luxury.
The cabin features updated materials, improved layout, and a more modern feel. A key upgrade is the larger 12.3-inch digital display and infotainment screen, which replace older, smaller interfaces.
The system now uses Lexus Interface, offering better responsiveness, voice controls, and smartphone integration.
Comfort remains a priority. The seats are supportive for spirited driving but still comfortable for long trips. Ambient lighting and new interior color options add a more premium atmosphere.
However, rear seat space remains somewhat limited compared to competitors, which is a known drawback of the IS.
Performance and Powertrain.
The defining feature of the 2026 IS is its naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 engine.
It produces 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, delivering smooth and linear acceleration.
This engine is increasingly rare in today’s market, where most competitors use smaller turbocharged engines.
The IS is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. Transmission choices vary depending on drivetrain, with an automatic transmission standard.
The focus is on delivering a connected and engaging driving experience rather than outright speed.
Driving Experience.
The IS is designed to feel sporty and responsive.
It features a rigid chassis, refined suspension, and precise steering, all tuned to enhance driver engagement.
The car feels balanced and controlled, especially in corners, making it enjoyable to drive on winding roads.
At the same time, it maintains a comfortable ride for daily use, striking a balance between sportiness and refinement.
While it may not match the outright performance of some European rivals, it offers a more natural and predictable driving feel.
Technology and Features.
The 2026 IS includes a range of modern technology upgrades.
The infotainment system supports wireless smartphone integration, voice commands, and over-the-air updates. The interface is more user-friendly than previous versions.
Safety is also a strong focus. The IS comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and advanced collision prevention systems.
Higher trims add features like a premium audio system, panoramic view monitor, and enhanced driver assistance technologies.
Trim Levels and Pricing.
The 2026 IS lineup is simplified but still offers variety through trims.
Key trims include F SPORT Design and F SPORT models, with higher trims adding performance and luxury features.
Pricing in Canada starts around the mid-50,000 dollar range and increases depending on trim and options.
This positions the IS competitively within the compact luxury sedan segment.
Interior Space and Practicality.
The IS seats five passengers but is more focused on the driver and front passenger experience.
Front seat space is comfortable, while the rear seats are tighter compared to competitors. Cargo space is adequate for a sedan but not class-leading.
This makes the IS better suited for individuals or couples rather than families needing maximum space.
Pros.
Naturally aspirated V6 engine with smooth power delivery.
Engaging and balanced driving dynamics.
Updated technology and infotainment system.
Strong reliability reputation.
Available all-wheel drive.
Cons.
Limited rear seat space.
No hybrid or electric option.
Less powerful than some rivals.
Aging platform compared to newer competitors.
Final Thoughts.
The 2026 Lexus IS stands out as a rare example of a traditional sport sedan in a rapidly changing market. By focusing on a naturally aspirated engine, rear-wheel-drive dynamics, and driver engagement, it offers an experience that many newer vehicles no longer provide.

Purchased a NEW GX460 from a local dealership. Purchased the vehicle based on the companys perceived quality and willingness to stand behind their product. After 2-3 months of purchasing the truck the leather seats were bulging and buckling significantly. Dealership acknowledged the problem and replaced the leather on the rear seats. One month later, the front seats are now worse than the back seats. Both the dealership and Lexus Company will not stand behind product. In fact, the dealership suggested that this is a common issue and sent me pictures of other new trucks with the same problem. Wish I would have known that before purchasing the $50K+ vehicle. This is the third and last Lexus that I will ever purchase or recommend.
Purchased a used RX350 16 months ago. 2016 year model. Love the looks of this car. I drove a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium for over 6 years and that car was way above this car in every way. So disappointed.
Lexus offers sedans and sport utility vehicles. They are reliable performance vehicles. They have good service and sales, plus fairly honest technical support. Car has modern amenities, and variety of colors options. Lexus offers gasoline, hybrid and electric and fuel cell engine options. The cars are roomy, with safety features standard, and interior fabric choices. There are several options and modifying factors allow customization like power steering, seatings, mirrors. Programmable features voice recognition. Map and entertainment system good. Plus there is a large passenger capacity. Passengers are as comfortable in seating as driver. Temp control regional, there is a wide access to entertainment features, and there are power seats and windows.
There was a recall on my Lexus SUV. I was in the hospital when it came out and missed it. Shortly after expiration date I called Lexus and they told me to bring car to the dealer. The dealer found the problem and was happy to fix it. When they reached out for approval at corporate the dealer was told that Lexus would not approve. I wrote the CEO of Lexus USA explaining the problem and challenge due to medical issues. The CEO nor anyone ever had the courtesy to respond to my letter. The problem with the Lexus is only getting worse. This is not a company that cares about the customer.
Purchased RX 350 used. I was headed to a local eatery when my oil light started flashing. Stopped car and checked oil dipstick which showed dry. I blamed oil change store and added oil and drove the short distance to get there. They went out of their way to show me it was not their fault and show me the problem. Towed vehicle to my mechanic and he changed out broken oil line. Told me that I was lucky that my engine was not destroyed and that the oil line was a defective part waiting to fail. Confirmed by checking complaints on internet. Called Lexus Customer Satisfaction Department and jumped through hoops to send them information to recoup money for my repair. Was sent a reply today saying my vehicle did not meet the criteria for reimbursement under the warranty enhancement. Called Lexus and asked what was the criteria needed for my reimbursement, and was told I was not a loyal Lexus Owner. Was also told I did not take my RX to a Lexus Dealer for the repair, and I was past the 10 year limit for the repair. I purchased the vehicle 2 1/2 years ago with 67,000 miles on it, so it was low mileage and the problem had not shown up yet. I have my own personal mechanic that I have used for the last 10 years, so I did not take my RX to Lexus. How many Lexus vehicles do I have to own to be a loyal Lexus owner, and what does that have to do with a defective part anyway? I will never own a Toyota product again. I bought this Lexus reading the high satisfaction report from Consumer Reports. Please be careful if you buy a Lexus, They may represent themselves as a high-end car company, but a design such as the oil line doesnt represent a luxury car line or the customer support you should expect.
They had a wide variety of colors and supercharged. Some were all power anti-lock brakes and leather seating, and a lot of the cars were low miles. The one that I chose had classic black interior with power windows and the stereo screen was a big screen that came up and out. I had the lights changed to the blue lights that were of higher definition. The seats were so nice because they were leather heated seats and the body type was just what I was looking for. It had really low miles for the year that it was. I was very happy with the capacity since there was a lot of room for the tall people in my family and there was enough room to fit my children in comfortably with their car seats.
Lexus was a recommendation from someone I know and from third-party reviews (e.g., Consumer Reports, Edmunds). My experience/relationship with salesperson and customer service was good. I prefer this brand/model for connectivity technology (e.g., smartphone, tablet, media), good acceleration/engine performance, seating capacity, residual/resale value, hybrid, diesel-fueled and electric powertrain options, interior roominess and minivan options. Also, quality / workmanship / AWD (All Wheel Drive) / off road capability / handling / warranty options / value for the money / price / maintenance / operating expenses / SUV / crossover options / durability / reputation of the brand / model.
Brand new car today (2019 ES 350 with luxury package). Beautiful ride and handling. Sound system is HORRIBLE. I dare you to try and get adequate sound from rear speakers! With the fader its all or nothing. If you toggle to get more volume from the rear, the front speakers cut out completely. The sound was just as good in cars I owned during the 70s. I bought the car in Brossard (South Shore, Montreal). First thing I noticed is that there were 188 kilometers on the new car (about 140 miles). Thats like driving half-way from Montreal to NYC! Then, I had trouble loading a CD to listen to the sound. Turns out there was already a CD in it... Rap Music, to boot! I can only imagine where this new car has been before I got in it. Dealer (Gabriel Lexus) didnt give a damn... I was told simply to enjoy the car... My first stop was the car wash, where I got the guys to clean the windshield of film and streaks. Previously, I owned 16 Nissans and Infinitis in a row (sixteen vastly better experiences!). I hope I feel better about LEXUS tomorrow, after a good night sleep.
Hello. This Vehicle is great but easy to steal for thief. After I purchased I heard, from the other Rx350 owners and insurance broker too that this model is been easy to steal. Now recently someone steal my Rx350 2016 from My driveway and I reported to police and they recover too on same day. But all key system and other things are damage. What should I do in this case? Should I take this vehicle back, which I am not comfortable to take this vehicle? And Constable told me that Lexus dont have vehicle tracing device in uptown 2019 Rx350. But Why Rx350 is easy for thief to steal that car. Why Lexus dont have proper lock system. This is not acceptable and I will not suggest to buy Lexus anymore. I think we should look for another Brand.
My 2013 Lexus ES 350 started leaking not long after we bought it new in August 2013. We have an automatic car wash by our house that we have used for years with no problems. My 13 Lexus always leaks and it has been to the dealership five times to figure out why. I even called them one morning on my way to work because rain was leaking in the roof. I was informed yesterday that the dealership got Lexus involved and that their response was that their car is not designed to go through a high pressure car wash and that it could not be fixed. I was shocked and terribly disappointed by their response. None of my previous cars, nor any of our friends or family who have cars with sunroofs have had a problem at this car wash, but Lexus cant design their car to go through leak free!? If they fixed it or told me they were still going to try and figure it out, it would be a little easier to accept, but to tell the consumer that essentially their car is not built well enough to withstand the same conditions as every other make and model out there indicates to me that it is not fit for operation and not worthy of its price tag!
After purchasing two Lexus’, I thought I would stick with the brand for a very long time. This will probably not be the case. After having a series of very negative experiences with my 17 RC350, I will most likely never buy another Lexus. A little while after purchasing the RC it started developing a tapping sound. This noise continued to get louder and I was able to hear it from inside the cabin of the vehicle. I was able to locate the noise coming from the mechanical fuel pump. I took it in to my local dealer for repair. They told me they were unable to duplicate the concern and the assistant service manager displayed no customer service skills whatsoever in any attempt to help me with my issue.I contacted the Service manager the next business day and was able to come in and work with him and the diagnostic tech to duplicate this noise. We spent an hour test driving and listening to another RC they had on the lot. I was told to make another appointment and they would take another look at it. While it was in this time, the dealer involved the regional field specialist and dug deeper. I was ultimately told that even though they were able to duplicate this concern, it was normal operation.I made a complaint with Lexus customer care and this complaint was escalated twice. Two of the three people I spoke to at Lexus were more interested in talking than actually listening to my concern and again showing any kind of customer service. This includes the last individual who was the highest executive level I could escalate this. They made it very apparent that they were not interested in assisting a repeat customer with a valid concern. They made it very clear that losing any further business was less important than repairing my fuel pump.Lexus advertises their luxury vehicles to be the quietest on the road, but when you bring them a valid noise complaint they don’t want to honor the bumper to bumper factory warranty. This is the opposite of what I expect when I invest in a luxury car company most of all Lexus. I did quite a bit of my own independent research and determined that fuel pumps are a bit of a sore spot with Lexus and a bit of an Achilles heel.My vehicle shares the same fuel pump as the IS and the GS. I was given a 2019 GS as a loaner vehicle and the fuel pump was at least 80% quieter. I was also able to determine that the fuel pump for all these cars has 4 successive part numbers. Lexus has obviously redesigned this part several times for important reasons. I am left to wonder if my generation was updated due to excessive noise. Ultimately the unwillingness of Lexus to take responsibility for their product and their customer service leaves me no other choice but to leave record of this and let others know what I have experienced.
I have been going back and forth with Crown Lexus, Lexus corporate, and Lexus executive office for months now. Seems like all they were doing was handing me off wasting my time. My issue is my transmission in my 2007 IS 250 that started while under warranty and I took it to Crown Lexus multiple times. Each time I was either told it was an issue already identified and they would fix under a recall or they could not duplicate the problem and refused to fix it. Every attempt they made with a recall was not the issue. It was and has always been a faulty transmission and I have been saying. The recalls were only a cover up to buy time until the vehicle was out of warranty to avoid a costly repair under warranty. As soon as my vehicle fell out of warranty now they identify and admit that transmission is going out. My vehicle only has 125,000 miles. A Lexus has a reputation and is expected to last well over 200,000 miles. I have researched and found multiple IS 200 owners with the exact same problem. A Lexus tech himself said the transmission will fail early. LEXUS needs to do the right thing and fix these faulty transmissions. I am considering legal action if Lexus continues to ignore this issue. My main reason feeling something should be done is because I brought it to their attention while under warranty and it was never fixed.
I had a worst case scenario of a safety recall: defective valves broke and I had total engine failure. Lexus did honor the repair, though I was under 100k mileage, I was over 3 yrs. They kept car 3 wks, replace one engine block and the valves. I paid for brakes, flushing system, and a new starter (car suddenly didnt start when I went to pick up car after 3 wks. Strange! Starter was another $1300. Car has 67,000 miles. This car is terrible... The brakes I can feel under foot and they sound like they need new brakes, not like they just had a brake job. The engine runs rough and loud. Makes some noises. The car also has a roar. The driver door even squeaks now and the whole car makes a noise and is rough. Its embarrassing! Has anyone had any problems? They had to take it apart and put it back together... Im thinking they didnt do a good job. Its not the same car. Any help or advise? I dont even know what to tell them.
I recently bought a 2014 Lexus LS 460. Whenever it rains or the car is washed and I open the trunk, water drips out of the side of the trunk, and drips water into the trunk compartment. I took the car into to the Lexus dealership and they said it is a design flaw and cannot be fixed. Besides getting the inside of the trunk and contents wet, long term I expect it will cause premature rust and increase the potential for my rear lights to malfunction. Any experience with resolving this issue will be appreciated.
I purchased my 2012 ES350 in May 2012, and it is the finest automobile I have ever owned. It has been to the shop one time for an oil change and a 5km check. I purchased my wife a 2012 IS250 with the same response. We are Lexus customers for life. I was a long time Lincoln customer until I purchased my first Toyota product in 1992 for my son to drive to college. Keep up the exemplary work.
Updated on 09/04/2019: Lexus has refused responsibility for the poor design of the 10 speaker sound system in this vehicle. No fix. In a arbitration hearing an arbitrator referenced that the design of the sound system is such that it will not operate property (two regular speakers in the back cabin are simply overwhelmed and stated that this is how Lexus designed the speakers) but still denied claim - what a joke and a waste of time. My last Lexus!!!Original review: Rear speakers are worthless. Will only work if you fade completely to the rear (no sound then from front) and increase volume to at least 45 level. Lexus will not respond other than to say that is normal for this model - a manufacturing problem. Class action?
Lexus CT200 is 2015-16 the last year this hybrid was made. So glad we found one. We love it. Used car that is running with no issues. If you can find a used one, we are happier with the Lexus hybrid than their Toyota version.
The IS 250 is a great ride that drives well making even those who dont love driving enjoy it. I love the way this car corners. We test drove the gs and es models as well, but they really felt too sedan for me. The SUV model rs was a disappointment altogether. The SUV has a nice passenger capacity. We however were looking for a sportier vehicle that still had room for a family of four. The IS model has just that. However, our two teens dont feel there is enough legroom in the back for them. But Im in love with my car. The smallest interior details really set this luxury line apart from others. The wood used is gorgeous and held up well. These details really add to the cars comfort. I also like the upgrade rims. They are stunning and add just the right amount of bling and luxe to the car. Other upgrades include navigation which we passed on.
Lexus has a LX, a LS, RX, GS, NX, RC, ES, GX and CT. There are many more but these are the main ones that offer the most value and luxury than most others seem to do. The car has many things like a great trunk, engine and seats. It has great lights and it had wifi and it is really fast to drive all the time. There are many upgrades like the seats and then theres the tire rims. They have custom stereos too and have custom features inside like a touchscreen. Also, the passenger capacity has a lot of room to fit a good amount of people in it so that they all can be comfortable and that they can have lots of room to do lots of things without feeling crowded.
In July of 2011, we bought a new RX 350 at Lexus of Chandler. Recently, we have noticed the paint on the front of the hood is pitted. There is no damage to any other area at the front of the car. The dealer said it was from dust storms, and there was nothing they could do. They also said that they could show us cars on their lot that have similar damage. Thats a nice thing for a potential buyer to see. We traded in a 2002 Pathfinder with no paint problems. We still have a 2004 Infiniti with no damage. Yes, we live in the desert, but why would a new car sustain paint damage, when other, older cars do not? I question the quality of a Lexus paint job.
Im just really disappointed the Lexus ES 350 - 2007 vehicle I purchased brand new, has only lasted 7 years. At the 5 year point, I had to have major repairs on it to include the water pump, thermostatic?/head gasket, battery, etc... and then, not even two years later, Im being told I need the head gasket and engine replaced. And this still happened after having consistent, routine maintenance on the vehicle, as prescribed by Lexus! When I spoke with the dealership, the service consultant relayed she wouldnt talk to me over the phone and I would need to bring the car in. Ok, I just had the car towed to a local Lexus-certified dealership (Toyota), why would I then have it towed another 26 miles just for Lindsay Lexus to tell me the same thing, and add a hefty charge for doing so! Needless to say, I will never purchase another Lexus... Im just so disappointed at this time.
I had a call from a Lexus case manager name Eric at extension ** about an issue not covered by Lexus, this guy brushed me in two minutes, and lied about a return call he never made to me on a Friday. Today is Tuesday Oct 17, 2017, if I did not answer his call, why did he waited till now tuesday to tell me my car is not covered, not to mention my car has been in the dealer for two weeks waiting on this case manager guy to make a decision. Very poor and professional performance for a luxury car company. Will keep posting reviews on other sites. Dealer service was 5 ⭐️ from my service advisor Jose to the service manager, will recommend.
I have a 2007 IS250. I bought the vehicle brand new. Ive had several issues with this vehicle, for starters the vehicle inside interior is POORLY crafted. The dash is melting, as well as the door panels. Ive had to replace both headlights. I also had minor engine problems which was covered under warranty. Lexus is rated as one of the top vehicles in the country. I would NEVER EXPECT a TOP RATED vehicle as Lexus to have this sort of issue (interior). I find this to be VERY UNFAIR to myself and other consumers who have purchased this vehicle and also experiencing this problem (interior). Lexus REFUSE to order a RECALL on this issue. If I had known the interior on this vehicle was SO POOR I would have never purchased it. If you are thinking on purchasing this model, the model itself is NICE, OTHERWISE, DO NOT PURCHASE. I just would think a company of the sort (Lexus) would do a MUCH BETTER JOB at listening and HANDLING consumers complaints and protecting LEXUS name. I am sure this complaint is not the only complaint on this particular model (IS250). All the other models Im certain DO NOT HAVE this issue so why not place a RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL, AT LEAST THE DASH? Unhappy Consumer. I rate this vehicle???
I have 66,000 on my 2008 Lexus GS 350. I have really only had one problem with my car, and that being the rear calipers froze. I have a certified pre-owned warranty that would cover this problem had I not taken my car to a personal mechanic for brake pads. He is the one who realized the calipers froze. It was towed to Lexus and it took me 3 weeks of fighting and speaking with the owner of the Lexus dealership to get it covered. Now 6 months later the headlight went out, When I looked and noticed there was condensation in the housing of the light. Again I still have a bumper to bumper warranty but again, this is not covered. The seal is broke and they state this is normal wear and tear. $1791.00 to replace, ARE YOU KIDDING ME. WHAT does the certified pre-owned warranty cover because at this point I have had two issues and neither of them are covered under this warranty. So with that said, and the fact that it took me 1 year and 2 months to get mats for my vehicle that were promised as part of the purchase deal from my salesman, and then they were not LEXUS mats. They were WALMART cheap mats... I AM ALL SET WITH BUYING ANOTHER LEXUS. SO NOT WHAT THEY PORTRAY THEMSELVES TO BE...
Lexus reliability and service is mostly what I recommend. We own two Lexus and going forward, will probably always own Lexus vehicles. They are comfortable riding and driving with almost no road noise. The instrument panel and in dash navigation system and music system is very good. AND, the handling and responsiveness of the vehicle. We had an issue with our Lexus SUV in that the front end alignment would not stay in place for even a month. We went on line and saw that several Lexus owners had reported the problem. Lexus worked with us to find a solution and shouldered the cost of fixing the problem. The proposed solution worked and the fact that they covered the cost was a very pleasant surprise. Yes the car was under manufacturers warranty, but past experience has been that the dealership finds a reason why is not a warranty issue and passes the cost onto the car owner.
First of all, this is my first ever negative review for any company. Unfortunately, based-on what has just happened to us, I felt an obligation to at least warn others. Lexus doesn’t stand by their brand, and ultimately won’t take care of loyal customers even when your car is still somewhat in warranty. We’ve owned two other Lexuses over the past 15 years and have proclaimed we would only buy Lexus going forward for life. Our 2014 RX350 (purchased in 2015 at 28k miles) had a 100k mile warranty or Sept. 2020 expiration. We are just under 130,000 miles on the vehicle and our engine is completely gone (just 6-year old car).We spent over $300 for the diagnostic test alone at the dealership at the request of the manufacturer to validate the assessment of a trusted third party repair shop who told us that the engine was shot and would need to be replaced costing $10K. The Lexus dealership provided an estimate over $6K to fix an engine with the disclaimer that more parts may be needed after tearing it down (assuming the cost is going to be much more). This is not even a new engine replacement. All regular maintenance has been done faithfully at an independent and reputable auto service business.Lexus manufacturer has completely refused to help in any way even though a representative at the dealership says they never see this happen in these models. Our car is unfortunately not worth more than $13,000 and the cost of repairs simply don’t make sense. Lexus doesn’t stand behind its product and have definitely tarnished it’s reputation as a brand. We would have probably spent at least $300k more in our lifetime on Lexus vehicles and passed down the current vehicle to our daughter because of their perceived reliability and quality. This is not the case!!!!They washed it all away for simply not replacing our engine this once or even helping in some way (they didn’t even reimburse us for the diagnostic test they requested to consider the issue). Lexus should be ashamed, and I hope this review helps someone else avoid this situation in the future. Lexus, don’t brag about your product reliability, customer service, and commitment to customers satisfaction. Going forward we will chose to do business with a company with more integrity and honesty.
My vehicle, and doing research there are numerous other Lexus models and years all experiencing oil loss from the timing chain cover gasket causing oil loss that will affect the engine and safety. Lexus has not provided a recall on this known issue. They request $3500 to fix the leak with a new gasket. This has the potential to eventually lock up the engine if enough oil leaks out.
I have driven Lexus autos for years and have loved every one of them. This year I purchased a 2016 RX 350. I like everything about the car except: It wasnt until I owned the vehicle that I noticed what feels like a vibration under foot when accelerating from a standing start. There is also a strange noise, which I identify as a groan, when accelerating after slowing down due to traffic or turning a corner. All of this occurs when driving normal not under hard acceleration. Sport mode helps but I dont want to drive around in sport mode. Also, driving the new eight (8) speed transmission is not a pleasant experience. At city speeds it always feels that the transmission is in a higher gear than it should be, causing the engine to lug. I would have thought Lexus would have caught this in testing but, now that the car is released, I cannot believe they are not addressing the issue. This is VERY un-Lexus-like!
Lexus RX350 is comfortable and roomy. Gives a very quiet ride. It was purchased used but being a quality vehicle we expect to get many years of service. It has a powerful engine so can be used for towing. It feels heavy on the road so feels safe. Good anti-theft system. The tinted windows cut down on sun glare. It has two power front seats. Like the all leather interior, the heated front seats and duel climate controls. Power lift rear door. Has several indictor lights to show if there is a problem with things like the oil level or the tires. But the indicator light for low tire pressure is hard to reset. It does not have a backup camera. It is kind of hard to get to the spare tire and I would have preferred a regular spare to the donut spare.
I purchased an alleged 2016 lexus gs-350 from lexus of riverside on 4/29/2016. I reported a navigation defect to them in less than two weeks. They did nothing for 6 1/2 weeks and finally sent a dealership car and service tech. We drove both my car and dealership car. In go home mode it took us in a round-about manner to a dead end road in a different zip code. Both my car and dealership car failed and went to dead end road but I took my garmin gps in dealer car and it worked perfectly. The dealership refused to do anything and referred this problem to their lexus/toyota headquarters in Torrance, ca. The clerk at the headquarters said we would be put in a queue which would take 4 weeks.I spent hours researching, driving, photographing, documenting and sending over 30 emails to them but just got a letter giving me an assignment to send them documents they already had. I also called their 800# - useless. You get some clerk who only gives a first name and never gives you a case number. I have 1 week left for the 4-week queue, so will probably have to sue them since there is no available for this serious problem and they just delay hoping you go away.Next I photographed the navigation screen which shows that the navigation micro sd card is dated 8/1/2015 (gen 8) which according to their published literature is only for a 2015 gs-350. At this writing, the card will be 1 year old in 2 weeks and the service manager told me they usually come out around October for about $169. So either lexus sold me a 2015 and changed the date to 2016 or they are using old parts. I had leased 4 lexus ls series before - 1990, 1995, 1999 & 2004. The 2004 was terrible and constantly needed repairs. So I left lexus. But I read the glowing reports by consumer reports and tried the 2016 gs-350 due to its alleged safety features - big mistake.
They had various models that I was interested in with various trim level for each model. They could have more models, but what they had was adequate, even if it wasnt huge. Their cars are high quality and the prices are reasonable. They use high quality parts in their car, and their cars are very reliable, i.e. good value for the price paid. There arent many upgrade options and personalization available. They only have a few trim level that you can choose from which bundles in the various options. I would prefer more ala carte selection so that I can choose only the options that I want and not have to pay for some options that I dont really want. The model I was interested in all seats 5 passengers comfortable. There was plenty of interior room as well as cargo space to carry both people and stuff. It could be tight if all passengers are large.
I have a 2005 ES330 car that is certified pre-owned. It has defective back windows that wont go up or down. Its CD player is broken. Theres condensation in headlights. I have had the back windows repaired 3 times. On the 4th visit, they finally replaced the motors, which corrected the problem. I had wasted 3 trips to Lexus, time off from work and finally the issue is resolved. However, now the tint has come off of the back right window. It is apparent, the trouble with the windows being taken out and repaired 4 times has caused this. The CD player has been in for repair also, along with the windows. The CD player is broken, the cover wont open, and will not play. I have been informed by the Lexus Corp. that due to the car being out of warranty, they will not repair it. My argument is the car has been in the service department for the same repairs 3 times, which has never been property fixed. After reading these reviews, I dont think I will ever buy a Lexus again. They have become the Ford of the Japaneese. The dealership, Lexus of Tampa Bay, is a joke. The main headquarters for Lexus is a joke. They both refer me to the other one. I am done. No more Lexus cars. My dream car, that I am still paying for, wont allow me to listen to my CDs. I cant see out of the back right window, and I have been made to feel like I am the scum of the earth by Lexus. Why didnt you treat me this way when I was buying one? I just got two letters from Lexus of Tampa Bay asking me to trade mine in and get a newer one.No thanks, I got suckered by the hype the first time, are they kidding? What a Lousy Lexus Experience!
I want to complain to my Lexus 570 (2011). I bought it from Al Futaim Motors Company LLC which is in UAE. I had issues with the noise from the car when I change the gear (transmission) from R to D. I asked the workshop (sales manager) at the first service (1,000 Km). They tried to repair it but the sound came back again. Also, the car is now in the workshop for the service (40,000 Km) with the same issue. They are still telling me they will find out the problem to fix it. Today, I took the history report of my car to complain about it in the ministry of economy because I feel as I wasted my money when I bought this car. I am looking forward to hear from you.
The Lexus LE is a great car and handles great on the road and in all weather. I would highly recommend this car. The radio and sound is great. The outside of the car looks great with sharp lines while the inside is great with leather interior, CD player, air conditioning, and bucket seats. It also has good headlights, heated seats, interior lighting, and new tires. The passenger capacity is great. It can fit 2 in front and 3 in back with a lot of leg room.
On July 5, 2015 my husband took my car to the Lexus Orland Park, IL dealership to have an oil change. On arriving, the serviceman told him that my car needed other work. My husband already knew that he could not authorize any service on my car without my approval. So my husband called me on his phone and let me speak to the serviceman on his phone. I explained to the salesman that I was headed out of town the following day and did not want to do any other work until I returned. I told him to only do the oil change. He was adamant about my windshield wipers and said that I really need new ones. So I told him only do the oil change and wipers. Minutes later I received an email with a price of $417. I called the serviceman and ask how much was the wipers and why was the bill so high. He told me I needed a 90,000 service and that he went ahead and did it. I told him I did not authorize him to do the 90,000 mile service. He told me that my husband told him to do the 90,000 miles service. He told my husband, after he got off the phone with me that I said to do the oil change and wipers and 90,000 service. So my husband signed for the work. When I called him to asked him why did he do what I did not authorized him to do, he said, my husband told him to do it. After he got off my husbands phone he lied and told my husband that I had authorized the 90,000 miles service and then lied to me saying my husband had authorized the work. I told him I would not pay for it and I wanted to speak to his manager, but his manager said that there was nothing he could do but give me 10% off because the work had been done. These people are frauds. So do not take your cars to them. They will do work you did not authorize and will keep your car if you cant pay. I will be writing to the States Attorney office, they need to be investigated.
They offer a wide variety from sports cars to SUVs... Id recommend any car Lexus has to offer. Ive owned a few!! They are also priced affordably!! And offer a variety of concept cars!! Lexus uses the best materials and supplies to construct their vehicles. They use the latest technology and are usually the first to use a lot of options and most options come standard!! Even though stock Lexus cars have more options than your usual car they also offer additional options that most cars do not even offer yet!!! This makes Lexus the best car out there!! Most Lexus cars can equip at least 5 passengers... Besides the 2 door sports cars every car rides at least five!! The bigger SUV rides 7 with extra room for luggage and whatnot!!
Purchased a 2012 CT200h in July 2016. The car was advertised as certified but ended up not being certified due to the airbag recall. Bought the car due to my previous experience with Toyota/Lexus being highly reliable car and it also only had 31k miles. Soon after driving off the lot noticed a clicking noise every time you brake. Figured it was a cv axle noise so waited until the first service to address(car also had drivetrain warranty remaining). Took the car in for the 35k service and dealer diagnosed the noise as a failing brake actuator and recommended replacing it for $3450.The dealer and I opened a case with Lexus customer service. After 2 weeks I get a call saying they do not fix noise issues under warranty. Even if my car was certified they still would not fix it. Went to talk to dealer next day and the service manager told me his CT200h makes the same noise and it doesnt bother him. Dealer also told me I should have bought an extended warranty (Right after telling me even the warranty doesnt cover it!?!?!?!). Escalated the Case with Lexus and received a callback saying nothing has failed so I just need to deal with the noise. After this experience Id recommend to stay away from Lexus. Once you drive off the lot it doesnt matter if you have a used or new car they do not care if you are satisfied with the product or not. Considered trading in my CT200h for a brand new one, but that wouldnt help my issue because they told me even if it was brand new and the brake actuator made the same loud clicking noise every time I touch the brake pedal it wouldnt be covered or fixed. So Ill look at other brand cars to spend 40K on.
My GPS system totally went out on me. I spoke with a co-worker of mine who owns a 2006, and the exact same thing happened to her. She told me to go on Consumer Reports and look up this is a well known issue and Lexus is doing nothing about it to fix the issue. I called Lexus to inquire about the issue. The woman over the phone told me out her mouth there have been some cars my brand with GPS issues, but my car is no longer covered under warranty and it could cost me up to $2000 to fix the issue. I bought this car brand new, and this is supposed to be the best of the best. I was told when I purchased the car Lexus honors their mistakes, but it doesnt seem like they are doing it now. This isnt fair to the customer at all. They charge over $5000 for the GPS and in a few years while you’re still paying for the car the GPS breaks down, and they wont cover the cost to fix it. I am very disappointed in Lexus. I thought they had a customer first approach. I am also letting headquarters know how disappointed I am.
Incredibly my Lexus GX 470 has the paint peeling off the roof (Already peeled off the hood, which they agreed to fix) and now Lexus Corporate refuses to pay to have the roof repainted. This is not a CHEAP VEHICLE and one that you would expect this from. I am driving around with grey headliner exposed in 2 big areas of the roof and top of windshield- what an advertisement for Lexus to show everyone how bad Lexus Vehicle paint jobs are. So incredibly dissatisfied with Lexus Corporate refusing to make good on a problem that never should happen with a SUV they make. Will NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER LEXUS!!!
I was only there for the sports coupe but there were plenty of other models available - sedans, SUVs in several price ranges as well as a full range of colors. I bought the SC430 which, among other things, is a hardtop convertible. It was loaded accessory-wise. The saddle leather seats quite plush and the dash appointments extremely handsome. All in all very sporty, yet very rich! However, this was not a vehicle for accommodating a lot of passengers being a sports coupe. And a convertible as well. Bucket front seats did allow easy access to the back seats but the back seat itself was not a deep seat and not really comfortable for a person of any size. Also, upgrading and personalization options were not really a consideration as the car came standard with virtually every option you could think of. Even the alloy wheels came with 2 different options easily changed by the owner, you could have a certain look one day and a different one the next.
2008 Lexus RX 350 Water pump was leaking out the shaft of the pump. To change this water pump, they tell me they have to pull or lift the motor. It will cost over $2k. For 60 dollar pump, I going to have to pay them $2k. I had to have my car towed to my house one night only to find out I cannot afford to fix the car. The bearing went bad in the water pump. I think it should be something they fix for part price only because it not my fault you put a car together that you have to pull the engine to get the water pump installed.
We have owned three Lexus products over the years they have been in the US. The cars are great but the corporate culture has deteriorated greatly. The present CEO and the person in charge of Customer service are not at all qualified for their jobs and they have given Lexus a bad name for customer service. The corporate offices have literally no control over the dealers if there are issues, selling cars is all that matters, not customer service. If you have an issue that the dealer refuses to take care of, the infrastructure Lexus created at corporate is so pathetic you will only be frustrated trying to get any closure.
Mr. David **, of Bell Lexus Service, Phoenix, AZ told me that this has been a known problem. I think this is a defective material issue that should have been disclosed before I purchased the Lexus, as I would not have purchased a car that I use for business that absorbed fabric dye from dark pants, skirts, etc. I expected better quality; especially from Lexus! My local detail shop cannot get the dye stains out of the sides of the seats and door panel. Bell Lexus did get it out and they put a sealer on the seats and door and within two days the stains were back. David told me that I could bring the car back for seat cleaning but not every week. David also suggested that I not wear expensive jeans or other dark fabrics in the car? Do I tell my clients the same thing? What if I purchased a leather sofa and this happened? Shouldnt the same principles apply? As a Real Estate professional, I use my Lexus in my business to transport clients. Appearance is an important part of my job. A stained interior will very likely cost me lost sales, lost listings, and fewer referrals. My car is a business investment. Even the non-professional Lexus owner would not like this happening to their supposedly high quality car.Since David was acting as an agent for the Lexus admits the problem; I want this issue addressed and corrected. It is obviously, an undisclosed defect, in that it is inferior quality material, especially with a tan interior. For certain, the sides of the seats and door panels are made from defective materials. Please correct this problem as soon as possible, for I do not want to suffer any further losses.
I bought a brand new Lexus rx350. As soon as I took it home I noticed several things wrong with the car. I complained dozens of times on 1 same issue, and several times on other issues. They kept telling me to bring in the car. I live 2 hrs away from dealer I bought from. However each time I brought in car something else always goes wrong after they tell me everything is ok. I have been dealing with this lemon for a yr and several months now and still help in getting my entire money back that I paid for. I also got a list of all the repairs that was done prior to buying. They should not have sold this vehicle or put it on sale. They were taking parts from other cars and putting it on mine to check what was wrong. I also paid almost $2200 on warranties and other things which they claimed I will not get back. All I wanted was a car without any problems and did not mind paying for the extra warranties. If the car was sold as a lemon and they knew there were problems with the car, then you should refund everything including the warranties bought. I am going through Kealanda customer care who agreed to refund the purchase price but refused to refund the $2200 in extra things I bought. Trip charges I understand also, but all the trips were made to the dealership, over and over again. I was given the runaround since day one and lied to. This was my first luxury car and we did not feel safe in this car. It has stayed in 1 spot for the entire time since we noticed all these serious issues. We went on 1 small trip which we had problems with the head lights not working so we came back. Windshield wipers not coming on automatically when raining, Lexus Enform, etc... I could go on and on.I want the owners and Lexus to take care of this. I should not have had to go through so much trouble especially on a high end car. Dealerships and Lexus should be accountable for misleading and selling us a car they knew was defective. I want justice and a full refund including all the extras I bought with the financing department.
es350 2015 - The brake malfunction while in church parking and hit the wall and my car was totaled. Not happy with the car.
Lexus has all the features, heated seats, camera, automated startup, etc. Most of all the move ride and the added benefits. Theres also the warranty, factory and the extended, and my gap insurance. And my plates included in repayments. Plus theres the black shimmer, leather seats, chrome rims, leather interior, tinted windows, colored lights, front grill, and front and backseat TVs. I get replacement tires for every 200,000 miles or wear and tear in the first. 2 years. Free oil checks for the first 2 years. Sirius radio free for 6 months. Theres ROOM SPACE Reclining seats, USB and I pad. Build in GPS, luxury, comfort. Auto airplay and android auto. Bluetooth connectivity, WiFi, apps. Gesture and character recognition, voice control.
This car is wonderful! It is tight, smooth, and quiet. You can get a deal if you are a Costco member. The service is great and you even get free car washes whenever you need it. I have an app that tells me when it needs to be serviced. I dont think I would buy a car that wasnt a Lexus at this point. I am spoiled now!
There was a large selection, many colors and varieties and it was easy to find the one I wanted. The car looked new and was a sleek model. It really reflected the modern vision of what the model should have been and it made me feel elated. Also, the passenger capacity of this car was extremely large. I can fit at least four people in the vehicle and it is great for taking people places. There was a wide variety of upgrade and personalize options that made me proud of my purchase and I was extremely happy with them.
Lexus is a luxury car for middle class income earners and it is affordable.. It is environmentally friendly and of quality standard. The spare parts are easily assessible. The model gives the drivers optimum handling on the roads and one feels very comfortable using. It is a car after driving, one still dreams of it whilst sleeping due to it smooth sailing.. I recommend it to every one to purchase it. Life is good when driving Lexus.
Lexus has a very good variety and I like the vehicles a lot. They are really cool and good looking. They have a lot of upgrades available and I buy them all usually. Also, the passenger room is good. It is very roomy and I will always like it. I am very happy with it and all of my passengers are too. I would love to own a Lexus for the rest of my life.
My headlight has condensation in it which is a very common problem for Lexus headlights. I called. They want 400 to look at it and over 2,000 for a headlight. How come this issue is not a recall is beyond me. You expect to have a safe and reliable car. But the lights just turn off out of nowhere. I have been pulled over 2 times. Not only do I endanger myself and my kids but other peoples lives too. And you think they would try to help you but no. I was so much happier with my Honda Accord - way better car and way cheap. Never again will I buy a Lexus again. Never!!! Worst customer service ever. And thats just the beginning, so no they do not keep their customers happy at all. I called the corporate and the woman I spoke with was just rude. I should have gotten her name, but I was just so mad. This is just ridiculous.
I own a Lexus 330, my next car will be a larger Lexus. This is the most comfortable and easiest to drive and operate. I went over 5000 miles in 3 weeks, it was great.
Lexus cars are very nice and useful vehicles that everyone should own. And very low maintenance and I think everyone would love to have such a nice brand. Its very competitive. I cant get over how nice my vehicle looks. I think anyone would say the same thing if they were to see it is a nice ride. My upgrades includes new speakers and infotainment system including new touch screens and I have new rims, new seat covers and even a new headline. Plus my vehicle can carry your whole family and plenty of luggage. Anyone will be surprised at its amazing ability to carry tons of stuff including the whole family on long trips.
No problems. Feel best choice made. They had awesome above standard reviews. Comfortable seats and lots of features. Smooth ride. It stands out way better than other brands, nice color choices and body style. I think I would choice this brand over any other regardless of price etc. I am very happy. I dont think I would really change anything because it seems like they thought of everything when making these cars. But if I did I would just make more custom options available. I would make the passenger side have just as good features as what the drivers side has, if not better because a lot of times the passengers are tired from hard day work when husband decides to drive.
This review is not about a dealership experience or tires. This is a decision that Lexus and Enform made consciously and won’t rectify. In certain model years of the GX 460 Lexus requires you to have a couple of paid subscriptions to use remote start. Now I get and fully understand the need for on-going service with the app that uses cellular signals to remote start, unlock, lock all that jazz via the app. However, to disable the key fob from working direct from fob to truck and have it require a subscription is bs! This vehicle already lacks in so many ways (i.e. terrible infotainment, worst navigation, etc.). This is just a pathetic choice on their behalf. You can experience a painfully slow touchscreen before you buy it and decide if you want to live with that on a $60k truck or not. When you buy you get a year of Enform service so you can’t experience the issue I’ve stated until after the subscription runs out and you then learn about this poor software choice made. Apparently it has caused enough attention that they stopped doing it for 2019+ but have no plans to retrofit a few years (maybe 2016-2018). I don’t know all years impacted as even Enform reps know jack about this. Shame on whatever genius department has their grubby hands in this.
In February of 2012, my Lexus 2006 es330 accelerated with me from 25 miles to approx 75 miles. My car ended up in a ditch that was when it stopped. It was as if the car took a life of its own. It was towed to JM Lexus and I explained to them what happened. They kept the car for about 10 days including work at the body shop which my insurance paid for. I specifically asked on several occasions if they checked the car out for its unintentional acceleration and they told me yes and nothing was found. In June of 2012, the same thing happened. The car went from 25 to 80 miles and even when brake was applied, the car would not stop. At this time, the car was in shambles. The car finally stopped when it hit a light post. The car was written off by my insurance company. I called Lexus Corporation and they wrote me back a letter which insulted my intelligence. This has left me with post traumatic syndrome shoulder pain, knee pain and fear of driving. It affected my livelihood as Im a home health medicare nurse. It bothers me that a big corporation as that doesnt want to take responsibility for their product.
I used to work on Lexus Rx, found to be very serviceable, dependable, and great value for the money. A little expensive upfront but makes up for it down the road, I am driving mine 18 years now 15 years no car payment, it still runs and drives well. I have no reason to change cars in the near future.
I replaced a cracked windshield. In replacing it, repairman stated he could not put plastic. Left and right side moldings were broken and needed to be replaced- a Advised that we have parts replaced before driving. Out. Will always be available to help you out. Sales rep will not call us to tell us whats going on. We have been dealing with this since Thursday - $175 part.. Would I buy another car from them, what do you think???? 12/9/19
My ES 350 dashboard is melting, has a fume coming from the car because of the melting dashboard. Contacted Lexus - we were told, What do you expected, you have got a old car. I would never buy a Lexus in my life again. Lexus is not what it used to be.
Very happy with car in general. I have had specific problems with the occupant window motors. The front occupant window stopped working shortly after the warranty expired. I was upset but paid the bill. Now, Im at over 140,000 and both back windows and you guessed it the occupant right front window are all no longer working. I went to Lexus to check on recalls but nothing there. They say there are no problems, no recalls. Sounds like a safety issue to me. If I was ever in an accident I dont think the occupants could get out of the car. Ive owned a number of new cars over the last 40 years and have never owned, seen or heard of a car with so many window issues. Not good for Lexus or Toyota.
Lexus IS 250 and ES 300 - Sewell Lexus in Dallas, TX is top notch! Ive quality service and experienced nothing but professionalism. After driving my Lexus for several years and loving the service Sewell has provided we decided to buy our teenage daughter an older year model Lexus. Sadly I sold my Lexus when the odometer rolled to 120K miles. I decided to go with Toyota to save money, and since they are essentially the same car... what a disappointing mistake. The service I have received at Toyota of Dallas has been disappointing. I dont have horror stories (luckily) but I became spoiled by Sewell. Im on a car hunt again and will only buy Lexus. The Lexus purchased for our daughter has 215K miles and is still going strong! Lexus is the only way to go!
We leased a brand new Lexus LS460 and when the lease term had ended, we had a lot of credit balance left over and finally we just decided to purchase the vehicle since we hadnt driven it that much. We noticed that our Lexus LS460 also has a chrome rim and because of it, its losing air for unknown reasons. We replaced the tires several times and finally found out that the chrome rim has tendencies to lose air due to it being chip or being rotten with time especially from Texas heat. We went numerous time to the dealer but never got a proper answer. We were not sure if there was a nail or if it was because of the chrome wheel that caused the tire pressure to be that low. The service and parts are so expensive that it will be too difficult to maintain it. Secondly, we never received any kind of recall notices from the company although we lived same place for years.
I called Lexus customer service over a disagreement I had with the local dealership where I purchased an RCF. After a week, a junior level employee called me back, explained to me that my original customer service contact was off for the day and then parroted the same story I got from the dealership. When I asked some follow up questions he said he was only reading from notes and couldnt answer specific questions. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I suspect that the CS rep that was working my case had the flunkie call me back so she didnt have to deal with me, but of course that is only speculation. I let it go at that although I should have told the junior guy to have the original contact call when she was back in the office.
Called in yesterday to a Brisbane Lexus dealer to get a value on my 2017 Lexus ES350. The vehicle is 27 months old, in pristine condition, has just had its 2 year service and has under 18,000 klms on the clock. I was offered in the low $30k should I want to sell it. WOW! How can a vehicle be devalued by over 50% in just over 2 years? No wonder buyers are looking more to buying demo or second-hand vehicles. Maybe it would make good financial sense to check the resale value of BMW, Audi or Mercedes before looking at a Lexus. I am still in a state of shock!
I purchased a 2013 ES 350 new... was very satisfied until Sept. 24 2016. The vehicle had a little more than 19000 miles when someone failed to yield the right of way and collided with my wife near the front and left driver door while she was driving the vehicle. The damage was extensive and the insurance declared the vehicle a total loss. My concern is that neither of the airbags deployed during the collision. The other vehicle involved airbag(s) did deploy.I contacted Lexus and gave them permission to inspect the data image on the vehicle to let me know why the airbags did not deploy. As of October 21 2016 I have not heard anything from them. I have contacted Customer service several times but did not get any information. The vehicle has been towed to a totaled lot. Not sure how long the vehicle will be available for their inspection. I have owned four Lexus vehicles and have not had any problems. I am now concerned if I replace the vehicle with another Lexus will there be a safety issue. Damage images are available if requested.
Great car. Drives well, handles great, decent gas mileage, durability, great storage capacity. Love the leather interior that lasts. Mine is over 8 years old and has never had any mechanical issues. When I do decide to get a newer vehicle, it will definitely be another RX!
I am having serious quality issues with my 2005 RX330 SUV. Some of the key problems include the following: 1. The water pump failed at only 65K miles and timing belt and water pump were replaced ($1100+). I drove an Acura for 110K miles without changing either! 2. The headlights cases have been leaking, poor design. 3. Paints are coming out of the door handles. 4. Fused light bulbs and discolored mirrors.5. Low quality rotors and break pads (replacement cost $1000+).I called Lexus HQ, but they will not help or take any responsibility for the engine (water pump issue). They asked me to go to the dealership. So the business model is, Lexus sells you a lemon for a high price and for 5-10 years, you keep going to their dealership and pay to replace low quality parts and labor. So, if you are planning to buy a Lexus next time, think again as I wont do this again!
I have a 2006 Lexus RX 400h with 49,000 miles. The dashboard leather (may be Rexine) is ripped off in couple of places. I called Lexus and talked to the customer service people, but they are not helpful. I think they dont want to help me. I think this is a serious negligence from Lexus.
Oil Sludge in RX300 2001. Currently just getting estimates of up to $5000 to repair the problem. When I call up dealers no one knows about this problem, but I see there have been settlements regarding this situation. It mentions Toyota has received 3400 complaints about this problem.
We just leased RX 350. We spoke to the dealer for a long time and agreed on payment $336.00. Then we waited for 3 1/2 hours. I was getting many phone calls from work while waiting for the paperwork to be completed. Finally, I signed the deal but did not have the chance to see the car (in spite of waiting for 3 1/2 hours.) My wife spent additional hour signing. When we came home and starting reading the fine print the payment was $385.00. Also, I did not like to color of the seats. We tried to return the car but the manager refused and told us to find a lawyer. Great!
My car holds 4 people so thats enough for any of my friends or family. Its the perfect amount for any type of travel to wherever we wanna go. This car gets me happy and is ready to drive whenever and wherever. Its so beautiful and the upgrades help it to its fullest. If she was beautiful before then shes gorgeous now. If I was a car, I would date my car. That pretty much describes how beautiful she is. Im really enthusiastic about my car and I get happy with the varied models. I would buy 50 of them.
Lexus has several models, but I chose their RX 400h Hybrid. Its a great automobile. I got great gas mileage, and really felt like I was helping the environment. Previously I had a 4 door sedan, I owned that car for 12 years before selling it and getting the SUV. There are 2 bucket seats in front and a back bench seat. The vehicle seated 4 adults comfortably, and I was always able to get 3 grandchildren in booster seats in back. The cargo space was roomy as well. The vehicle I purchased was fully loaded, there was nothing more to upgrade. The leather interior was easy to keep clean. Heated seats to keep you warm, sunroof, 4 wheel drive. I know there were other upgrades included, such as the automatic headlights and windshield wipers. I loved the way the windshield wipers could sense when there was rain! Moreover, the vehicle had an entertainment package, built-in CD players installed in the back of the front seats. My grandchildren adored watching CDs and it certainly made traveling with the 3 of them a pleasant experience.
This Lexus 350 ES is very comfortable, roomy, smooth & quiet ride. Also good looking, feels heavy on the road, great services. Had to get the ES since RX too high for me - not comfortable on my back. Convenient dealer for service and free, unlimited car washes!!! 5th Lexus purchased - some different models RX & ES, great service all over the world and especially from this dealer. I love the ease of a loaner when they are doing work on my car. But I would like a tighter turning radius for the car and to have the ES in a hatchback type of rear for larger packages, luggage, etc. Better gas mileage, cheaper price in purchase and service too.
Lexus is sporty, luxury and is also stylish. Its got it all. My car is the car that people I work with say OH hell yeah when I pull into work. The Lexus is the most sexy beast of car on the road. Its like mature looking yet its sporty so its young looking. Honestly, I could care less about all the gizmos on the dash and all. Its just a waste of time and money. A car is for driving and music on the radio. Overall, its awesome. Its sturdy and it holds up well.

Tried Mercedes, drove him to 4 years, a decent car. BUT, after Lexus, I realized that she excels. Good streamlined, pleasant to look at, beautiful design, high-quality assembly. Also made of solid metal, in a collision it will not crumble. It contains more than 5-6 people, places inside enough, but still, for me, his wife and child, this is the best option. The trunk is large, fit a lot of things, a spacious. I recommend to everyone. I am confident in this brand.
I took my 2010 Lexus IS250 to the Wilkie Lexus in Ardmore Pa. for the 60,000 mile service. They called after looking over my car to let me know that I needed a front driver side tire due to a bubble in that particular tire. I gave them the ok to replace the tire and to do some other things that they said had to get done which drove the cost up considerably. Well, a few weeks went by and I decided to wash my car. I noticed a bubble in my tire and realized my tire was never replaced! I called the dealership and left a message in the voicemail of the service advisor that wrote up the invoice as his name is on the invoice. Since its Sunday, I dont expect to hear anything from Lexus until tomorrow (Monday). At which point I hope they will do the right thing and replace the tire that I paid to have replaced, that was obviously not replaced!
The salesman was great. The car when collected was great and then; no handbook for the sat Nav/Bluetooth etc. The dealer has tried over what are now months to obtain the handbook from Lexus but they refuse to even acknowledge the request. Established today that new Lexus are still being delivered without this handbook. For a luxury car this is totally unacceptable, I now wish I hadnt purchased the car. Ive been told to download it, all 300+ pages.
I bought a 2014 Lexus 350. About a year after I had the car I noticed the leather on the driver seat was getting creases in it. I very seldom have passengers in my car so I only noticed it on my seat. Each time I took it in to be serviced, I pointed it out to the service tech and asked what could be causing it. This is my first luxury car and the first experience with leather upholstery. No one could give me an answer. At any rate it has gotten worse over the past year. I have written 2 letters to Lexus with no response. Finally, the last time I took the car in the service tech said the dealer could not do anything and gave me phone # of Lexus. I have called 3 times to explain the issue, was given a case number and was told a case manager would call me in 1-2 days to discuss. No call. After I called the 3rd time to say I still hadnt received a call from the CM the person I spoke with suggested I send the photos I took of the seats to Lexus along with my case number. Still no response except to say they received it. I spoke with a friend last night who has a 2016 Lexus with the same problem and he has had no luck at the dealer either. Has anyone else had this issue with the leather seats?? I keep a towel on my seat now because it looks so bad. I told Lexus I am very disappointed in their lack of response to this issue as I was always told what a GREAT car the LEXUS and that TOYOTA stands behind their product. Well as far as I am concerned they are way behind in their customer service. Shame on you! I have contacted my attorney to see what he suggests I do. All I WANT IS FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE SEAT.
Offered several mid-sized SUVs which is what I was looking for. I was able to test drive three different models in a variety of colors. All models had DVD players, cruise control, automatic windows and were easy for car seat installation. There were some with heated seats and upgrades to Sirius player. Some had special headlights. You can also choose your warranty options. Its easy to fit at least five or eight people and to convert to capacity for more people if needed. Easy to remove third row.
Because I could not afford a new or near new RX400H, I was treated as if I was a low life and the pretty words from an executive at Lexus headquarters who claimed to represent Mark Templin, the VP of Lexus. I have not even made my first payment on the vehicle I purchased and Lexus wants $2,400 for defective headlight switch and both left and right rear wheel bearings. I have had vehicles well over 200K miles that were SUVs and used off road; this vehicle I purchased never was and these parts have failed. I suggest you never contact Lexus.com because they will never assist you. This was my first and last Lexus product. I was treated as an uneducated fool who is wasting this executives time. I guess he had a golf game or had an appointment for a massage.
I have been a loyal customer of Lexus for over 25 years and, generally, very happy with the cars; however, most of them I traded/sold before they were 5 years old. My current car is 2010 Lexus 450H that has less than 75,000 miles and was purchased less than 6 years ago. As usual, I am up-to-date with the maintenance schedule on the car and the maintenance is always performed at the service department of the dealership. A few days back, while driving, I noticed the hazard sign turned suddenly on and check hybrid system was flashing. Among the things that I noticed were the failure of cars cruise control and the SOS light turning red.I immediately took the car to the dealership service department, who diagnosed it as the failure of the airbag ECU. The replacement cost me $995.42. My service consultant at the dealership is a very nice gentleman, who said that there was no specific maintenance for the unit. That suggested to me that the unit on the car was defective and Lexus should be replacing it free of charge, but they did not. I have heard that computer malfunctions are not uncommon on the cars made by Toyota Motors. I am so disillusioned with Lexus that I have decided to take my business elsewhere and never buy another Lexus and, hopefully, convince my friends to do the same.
When buying a Lexus, you may have a larger initial investment but you will have a high quality car that needs little maintenance. Personally, our Lexus purchase was the best we have ever made in our last 40 years of buying experiences. The comfort is excellent. The low maintenance saves you money. And a Lexus will give you many more miles of driving than the average vehicle.
So comfortable, premium material, fast, looks, just beautiful. Would recommend this car to anyone. Next car next year will be Toyota, baby brother of Lexus, can’t wait. Just wish I purchased a Lexus sooner, such a great choice.
You can get the Lexus SUV with or with out a sunroof, leather seats, heated seats as well as a heated steering wheel. There are various other changeable features to choose from. My Lexus SUV had four doors and sun roof. The interior is leather at a great price! I love the sleek design that it has. It also offers a variety of colors. The passenger seating in the Lexus SUV can hold up to 7 people. The SUV is very roomy so all the passengers can sit comfortably and that is very important to my family. The appearance is beautiful and sleek. They have rear camera feature to make backing up easy as it would beep if you came too close to an object.
Lexus needs a few more models as to distinguish itself from other luxury brands. Right now, Lexus has a staple of sedans and coupes for a sporty type of brand. I am not impressed with their SUV and perhaps they need a different type of crossover. I found too that Lexus did not offer as many upgrades as I had hoped to find from a luxury car company. I felt limited by the options available. Otherwise, Lexus has a very Alex and modern look which is supported by modern in-car features. Lexus does a good job of incorporate a more modern feel into a luxury car. The car also fits about 4 comfortably which is more than enough for me. I think it very average in that respect.
I have 2 Lexus cars, one 2007 ES 350 and one 2005 RX 330. As several Lexus customers are experiencing, I too have a leaking rack and pinion on my RX 330. With just 60,000 miles plus. I found this problem when the service adviser inform me about this problem. I was surprised that this so-called quality luxury car will give us some problems at a low mileage. I just have my oil change last month and quoted me about $1,800 to repair. What a quality car we have to just spend this much for a low mileage and my wife drives this one from home to work and vice versa. Lexus should do this repairs at no cost to the customers if they want to claim that their vehicles are built with a seal good quality and workmanship and recall this vehicles because there are so many Lexus owner out there who are having the same problem. This issue should be taken seriously before anything else and serious things happens. I will never recommend Lexus to my friends so they will not experience this kind of dilemma I am experiencing and maybe patronize so other vehicles.
My wife and I just bought a new Lexus GX460 at your dealership. We requested to have a remote starter installed prior we picked up our car. Bob who is the financial manager was kind to help us out. Weve asked Bob about the specific brand of the remote starter and when he tried to contact the 3rd party he didnt get a response. He reassured me that Lexus only use the best and we trusted him. When we got the remote starter installed. We were told that the car is too new and the software might not be available, so we waited a week for answers. As a customer, I called my shop that install remote starter for my old car and asked them about the availability for a new GX460 and they said theres not available yet. One week later I got a call from Tony telling me that the software is available and therefore I trusted him. The tech came to my house and install the software and he said that there are few glitches to it because the car is so new. He told me before he came to my house and install the software that he had installed a VIPER brand remote starter and on that day when I received my remote starter, it wasnt Viper and it was Avital. Avital is a cheap brand remote starter and I do not expect Lexus to install it into our new car and to make it worse, there are glitches to the software.
Great handling car. All the amenities you could ask for, super good visibility. Handles like a dream. The leather is like butter. Sun/moon roof. Sharp looking on the road and gets reasonable gas mileage for a vehicle of its type.
Took my RX330 into Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly, VA for a state inspection on 9/14/13. My car was rejected due to the passenger side mirror. In order to not drive around with a rejection sticker, I inquired about how much the mirror itself would cost. John informed me that the mirror would be about $450 plus $65 for labor plus a replacement bulb was needed above the license plate giving me a grand total for a side mirror and inspection $600.44.A front mirror doesnt even cost that much. When I asked why was it so much, the reply was because its motorized. I had visited another Lexus dealership 3 months prior for tires and nothing about the side mirror was mentioned. I feel like I was taken advantage of and that Pohanka Lexus overcharged to replace only the mirror for my car to pass inspection.
I purchase a 2010 RX350 in October 2009. When the year came around, I needed to have my navigation system updated. I was told that I have to purchase a disk for $199. This is a luxury vehicle and you want the buyer to pay that kind of money for an update. Cars of lesser luxury like Lexus are giving their customers free update for at least 3 years. I would like to have at least a free update before you ask me to pay for one. I am paying enough for the car as it is, and this is the treatment you give me?
I have the Lexus ES 350 2011 model. My FOB only opens the front door - drivers side only. The passenger side and the rear back doors do not open. When I open manually the other 3 doors (passenger and rear back doors) and I use the FOB, it locks but will not unlock. Is this a programming problem? My Lexus technician says that I should replace all three locks at a cost of $1,500.00. Please advise.
I love taking my car. The customer services is out of the chart. The management is attentive and I love taking my car there for service.. My person or agent is attentive and do the most to make the person.
We bought a new 2013 RX350. We had a 2010 RX350; both cars had ventilated front seats. The 2010 seats worked great (they were black leather); the 2013 seats do not work. We were told by the dealer that they just dont work too well. The new car has saddle tan leather seats, so they should actually work better than the 2010. It is hot in Texas and we paid quite a bit extra for these seats and are disappointed that they do not work and that there is no solution to the problem. We have had six (6) Lexus and will not have another until we are satisfied.
Lexus has a wide variety of vehicles across the size ranges, from small and sporty to sport utility vehicles. Everyone knows how nice Lexus look. Its a beautiful vehicle that I am proud to drive. Its shiny, sleek, sexy... sporty and fun and it looks fast. You could upgrade any number of options, drive packages, fuel, sound, wheels, drivetrain, payment, interior and color options... The model I chose has limited passenger room by design, I only need or want room for very few passengers, no desire to be the driver of the bus sized vehicles you can have now.
I bought a brand new Lexus GS 350 in December from Lexus dealer in Raleigh NC. I paid $3000 for Navigation system in car. Car itself sticker price over $50,000.Navigation system had older road map, and 3-year old roads does not exist in this system. I asked Lexus dealer in Raleigh NC to update system, which most $100, navigation system offers free. Lexus want additional $250 for changing this software after paying all the prices for the car and very expensive price for a GPS Navigation system. SO for any one buying a new car, ask the dealer to install a new software before you pay for the old system.
In June of 2014, I leased a new 2014 Lexus GS350 F-Sport. Well starting around 1700 miles the car started having issues such as warped rotors and the rear power sunshade decided when to retract and deploy on its own. Then a couple of months later, the real issues started with the car. I would go to get into the car but it wouldnt start. The engine would act like it would turn over and start but it wouldnt. Sometimes it took up to 10 tries to get the car started. Sometimes it just would go to accessory mode without even attempting to start. So needless to say, the car has been back and forth to the dealer for multiple electrical problems. Here are the biggest examples: Obviously, the non-starting issue. The power retractable steering wheel and power seat took me on a wild ride while driving down the road. The power rear sunshade still has a mind of its own. The Lexus Parking Assist senses things are there when nothing is actually there and then sometimes they decide not to work at all. My Navigation System crashing and rebooting while driving. Horrible squealing with the brakes, etc. The car has been in and out of the service department for all the electrical issues and they cant find the reason for the car not starting or any of the other electrical issues. The car only has about 7600 miles on it and its currently in the shop since May 11, 2015. Im getting quite annoyed and concerned that Lexus would produce a $60,000 vehicle with these types of problems. They are known for their reliability, craftsmanship, safety, and state of the art cars -- I beg to differ. I am just waiting to hear back from the dealership to get the next excuse of why they couldnt fix the car. Needless to say, this is my first and last Lexus. I just want Lexus or the Lexus dealership to buy back this horrific lemon of a car and give me my down payment back. There are better options out there.
Earlier this year I noticed that my dashboard was sticky to the touch (melting) and the control buttons on my steering wheel were peeling off. After a quick Google search I found a recall on the 2007-2008 Lexus 350 dash and thousands experiencing the issue with peeling controls. When I brought my car in, the dealer said the dashboard recall had just expired and Id need to get approval to fix it along with the peeling controls. Lexus corporate REFUSED to fix their known manufacture errors. Funny, I was planning on buying another Lexus, but Ill spend my hard earned $ with a brand who truly values customers and fixes issues when they are at fault. Lexus claim to quality is bogus!
I bought my brand new 2012 Lexus RX 350 in 2011 and luckily I bought platinum service with it. In 2016, when I feel the pulsation in my ride, I brought my car in for a checkup. The salesperson Mitchell ** told me a bunch of issues with my car and told me that I need to pay for the extra services with came up to be roughly $1,500. Thats ridiculous when I have the platinum warranty. I told him to look at my coverage and only do the work that are covered. He then told me that I need to pay the $148.71 fee since they had the technician assessed my car. That was absurd since I already told them the issue and the technician jumped into the car and took a ride and agreed with that but I have to pay for his fee?I was like whatever, if I pay that fee then they will fix my issues. After I paid the fee, Mitchell then told me that he had to call Lexus warranty service to check on the coverage and it will take a couple of days. He says those parts will be cover but he still needs to get a confirmation with Lexus warranty. So I unhappily left the service center and totally forgot about it. When I remember about the issue after I got the oil change, I went home and pulled out the contract that I first bought the warranty and surprisingly. Its listed in black and white that the rear shocks and ball joints are covered. So I showed it to the new salesperson and hes happily helping me with that. Only to replace the leaking rear shock. But not the ball joints since they are now in perfect condition because I got new tires. How is it that when I first brought in my car, those were the issues that you made me pay and now since its covered under the warranty, they are fine now? Its the same old ball joints. Time does not fix mechanism issues on automobiles without replacement.
I am quite satisfied with the variety of models as well as the choice of colors offered. The features offered were top of the line. There were tech advanced and we were happy with what was offered. Given the need and or opportunity we would return to the same place in the future and see about buying an auto from the same place once again. We were also quite happy with the upgrade and personalized options that were offered. We like to get the maximum upgrades that are available because we like our car to reflect our personality and shed a light on our unique and affluent lifestyle. Also, we are happy with the passenger capacity. We are a family of four and it accommodates us very nicely. There is also adequate room to accommodate two other passengers, although, we rarely need the additional space.
