I got all my service schedule work done on time at the Kia dealership (All Star Kia). My Kia Rio stopped on my wife on her way home. Because of the 10-year, 100-thousand mile warranty, I had it taken to the nearest Kia dealer (Citrus Ford Kia). They asked for all my service records which I got from All Star Kia. I was told I was in good shape because I had all my service work done at a Kia dealership and on time. My car timing belt broke and damaged the motor. So they submitted it to Kia for approval. After wasting two weeks of my time, I was first told by their customer service rep that she found out I only had two oil changes so they denied. After informing her that I had my records, she checked again. The next time, she said she had good news, after looking at my records she asked the district manager to reconsider my claim. She called back to say the district manager found a copy where they made a note on one of my service records to have the timing belt looked at. Although I had all my records, the service rep at All Star and at Citrus Ford looked and had not found that. When I got the copy from the District Manager, you can tell he had altered the paperwork. Timing belt is scheduled to be changed at 105,000 miles, I have 82,000. They said you must have it looked at at 60,000. To top all that, they kept my car two weeks and charged me $500 to check the timing belt, which I told them that was the problem. The warranty is just a selling point.

2011 Optima - We purchased this vehicle brand new 20 months ago at Big Red in Norman. No problems until approx. Jan/Feb, the engine started making bad noises. I took it to Big Red service dept. They treated us like we were idiots and they didnt hear anything. I took it back as it progressively got worse, only to be told they didnt know what the noise was but they could not fix it and sent us away. We traveled to Bob Howard Kia in Edmond, OK and wasted two weekends only to be sent away and told we never changed the oil! Its ridiculously disrespectful to us to assume we didnt take care of this brand new vehicle! We each have brand new cars and trucks in this family and each one of us care 100% for each vehicle. On time oil changes, all maintenance, etc! Finally, service manager, Todd **, said, Prove you did oil changes! Bring receipts! We spent a full week collecting as many receipts as humanly possibly! I drove back to Kia Edmond to show to service manager, Todd **, only to be told after another wasted day of waiting and given the runaround, at last he said, Oh but they didnt use Kia filters. Sorry, now I cannot help you! Nowhere does any document you sign buying a brand new car does it indicate you have to use a Kia filter only! This service manager was making things up as he went along to us! Very upset. Now, the car cannot even be driven! We need help ASAP or comments on what to do now? I contacted every single Oklahoma State Organization I could think of and Kia Edmond online several times and still not one phone call or email. Sad, sad, sad to drive a 10-year warranty vehicle along with extended warranty only to be turned down or totally ignored at every turn.

I am writing in reference to the safety of my children. I am a single mother of two (one having a disability). I have purchased my second Kia in the past three years. I love my Kia Soul. I have only had this car a year and five months. I am very saddened to know that my motor is causing my car to burn oil so frequent that I am having to add up to a quart a week to make sure that my engine does not lock up on me. I am so upset knowing that as a single mother, I just cannot afford to buy an engine, a motor, nor can I afford to get one fixed. I use my car on a daily basis to transport my children, and for my job. I am planning a move across the country in June and I just do not know what I am going to do. Is there anyway someone from Consumer Affairs can help me get this fixed. My warranty is out because I am over 100,000 miles. I bought an extended warranty upon purchasing the used vehicle. I am aware there are recalls happening with Kia and would like to know if my car qualifies. I am taking a risk everyday on putting my children in that car. I was so upset when I spoke with someone in Consumer Affairs and the only response they gave me was that I better try and hire a lawyer! Please I am begging for someone to help me. After my family and I have been valued customers for years and have purchased a total of seven cars out of the East Tennessee lot, I know that there is something that you all can do. Please help!!!!

I purchased a 2013 new Kia Soul in December 2012. I took the car the Kia to have it looked at because it ran hot once so I didnt drive it again until I took it to the dealer. Let me add, I am still until factory warranty and have about 69,000 miles on the Kia. I was told that the engine was gone. I said how so when I had maintenance done. KIA denied to fix my car and states I have to 5665.00 to get my car fix, in which the used engine is 2115.00, 954.00 for test ran on the car and the rest is labor and parts. I hope this helps someone. My car is still at Kia and I dont know what else to do.

Perth Kia service department made adjustment to the airbag sensor under the passenger seat each time the car was in for oil change for three years during warranty period. After warranty expired, I went in for oil change and asked them to look at the airbag sensor. They told me it was broken and would cost around 1500 dollars to replace. I thought they would do the honorable thing and fix it but I was wrong. I then contacted Kia and after a year they told me there was nothing they could do.

I arrived to Kia at 8 am on Saturday 2-18/17 because my car was making noises when I pressed on the brakes. After 2 hours the rep came to the waiting room to speak to another customer and when finished he yelled across the room at me maam your car probably needs brakes then walked off...duh. I told them that when I got there. After another 30 min the same guy came to me stating my car needed brakes and they dont have them and it will be a few days before they can get them. My options are 1. drive away and come back in a few days to have my brakes changed and try not to drive too much because if additional parts go bad I will have to pay a lot more and they may not have all the parts...they really told me that. 2. Pay for a rental car until the parts come in and they can get replaced. They refused to get me a liner at no fee. 3. They could order some brakes from the auto parts store nearby and use them, but they may be noisy and not last. Wtf. I drive a Kia Sorento 2014, I come to KIA to get KIA parts. This is the first and last time I come here. So horrible.

I own a 2008 KIA Rondo, the bearing in the crank went. I am 15,000 over the warranty limit, and 8 months past warranty. Bought it brand new. KIA Canada says simply too bad your warranty is up. They also said that it was an engine fail but does not consider this to be a safety issue so will not do a courtesy warranty to help me either. Which KIA says they have done in the past, I say **. I have driven KIAs for 10 years, exchanged last one before 5-year warranty, but was assured that engine would have failed as well. Taking peoples money on a product you dont stand behind is unfair. Now you offer 10-yr warranty. That tells me you may have known your engines were crap and now they may have improved. What about taking care of your old customers who bought your garbage first. I still owe money on a car that is useless. There are many of other people out there like me and I will find them and get the word out.

We purchased a 2013 Kia Soul because we have many friends and family who had recently done so and were happy. I have followed all of the warranty rules, I have had my maintenance done timely and have proof. My Kia out of nowhere sputtered twice with no dash warning lights on and died in the middle of the road. It was towed to Cardinal Kia where I was told by Ryan in service that my engine was blown, within 15 minutes he called me again and explained that he found a bulletin in the computer regarding this issue and told me changing the oil would fix the problem, I was skeptical. We picked the car up and less than half way home the car died and there was oil spewing out the motor all over. Now we have been left with no car not even a courtesy car and told we have to pay first for them to tear down the motor? Ive done all they have asked to ensure my warranty is in good standing and then this, my Kia has 50,000 kms on it. Im never going to buy another Kia and their customer service sucks, I have been hung up on and told my vehicle will sit in their parking lot untouched unless I pay for it.

Our 2012 Sorento was serviced by the KIA service department where we bought the car. We were driving in town at 35 mph when the engine just stopped. The engine had no warning lights and no noises. We luckily were near a parking lot and were able to coast in. Called the KIA service to receive the car and diagnose the problem. They tell us the main engine bearing failed and we will need a new engine. If this is a problem KNOWN to KIA, they should replace the engine for us. At no cost. We had a Subaru Forester for 260,000 miles with absolutely no engine problems! I think this needs more investigation.

I own a 2012 Kia Soul and as Ive read previously in a Sorento post, my engine also went out. I was on the interstate with my grandson going about 75 mph when I heard a loud knock, my dashboard lights all flickered like Christmas lights, and my car stalled. Luckily, I was able to pull over from the fast lane to the side of the road. Kia has had my car for 3 weeks. The dealership and I have called headquarters multiple times with no response from my case manager. No one has provided me with a rental car. I have to pay for a rental out of my own pocket. I dont see my make or model on the recall list but I obviously have the same engine issue as the other Kias. My car barely has 100,000 on it. It just flipped like the week or 2 before the engine went out.

I was having my van serviced and fixed. I needed an oil change when my air bag light and check engine light came on. The dealership said that in order to check out the problems it would cost me $90.00 per problem. So I went to lock my doors, and the remote didnt work so I had them look at that. Now the other remote doesnt work either so they checked that out too. They said both remotes do not work . I find it a little weird that both dont work. The car is 4 years old and the one key and remote are in my safe, just in case I lock myself out and so I dont lose them. I would like to know if there is anything Kia can do for me and my family. Between me and my family, we own four Kia cars and we love them so I really hope you can help me.

I purchased a Kia Sorento back in 03 and have always taken my car for major services to the same dealer since. Recently, my car has had a vibration on acceleration and runs sluggish. There is a rattle on acceleration as well. To make my story short, I took it to the dealer and they checked it out and told me it needed spark plugs and wires replaced to a sum of $469.00. I got it done. A week later, I was having the same problem. I made another appointment. They checked it again and said it needed coils to the sum of $444.00. I asked if this will take care of the problem. They said yes. Today, 4/9/12, my car was towed to the dealer: same problem, only worse! The dealer said they will check again, but they will not cover the fix if it is something else. I told them that’s what they told me that was wrong; therefore, I am not paying one more cent!

Kia does not care about safety!!! Car disabled 3 times!!! Hybrid system to second owner is under warranty until 60k. My first issue was cared for at 45k. The second on the same malfunction happened at 75k and returned the car back to me. Now the third time 85k and they won’t fix the issue but it’s the same one that never got fixed? How is this good customer care? You never fixed the issue. It is part of the hybrid system!Additionally it takes 10 plus days to get ahold of anyone! The first time I was on the freeway the car disabled leaving me stranded. Second time it disabled causing a car accident. The third time a month after the accident leaving me stuck again and now reporting a lemon. They won’t accept that the car is unsafe. Causing me to have to get a lawyer? Why can’t Kia just settle and give me a safe car/fix this one! I love this car but hate that I feel unsafe and am so sad I can’t ever bring myself to buy a new one because Kia Motors does not take safety serious!!! The car disabled 3 times! Does it really take someone dying or being seriously injured to actually care for this company? Can’t believe national and the executive team doesn’t want to improve the image of safety.

This is the first brand new car I ever bought. I bought it because I was sick of always having to fix my used car. I wrongly assumed I would not have this problem with a new car. I bought it in October. The acceleration sticks on gear change, but I didnt want to spend my life in the shop (again) so I deal with it. When summer hit, I found out the AC didnt work. I scheduled a service time. The guy on the phone was a bit rude but I chalked it up to him probably having a bad day. They dye the AC and tell me to come back in a week. Its still blowing cold, but I bring it back as requested. They cannot find the issue, so they send me on my way. Two weeks later, its blowing hot air again. I have to go back. This time they tell me the hose is broken and replace it. It took them 3 days to replace a single hose. While I am grateful I received a car to drive in the meantime, it was the most disgusting pile of garbage I had ever had the displeasure of driving. Whoever had previously owned this vehicle did not in any way take care of it. After day 3 of calling and waiting for the car to be fixed, I drove over to the dealership after work and vowed to wait until they took care of it, regardless how long it took. I walked in and they asked if I was there to pick up my car. They never bothered to call me.Today I had a flat tire. No spare in the trunk, which I had foolishly thought would be standard for every vehicle. I called the dealership and was told to call roadside assistance, which was free. Okay, fair enough, but if the tire cant be fixed, I cant afford to buy a new one right now, so I dont know if thats a good idea. I was blown off (same guy as earlier, still rude so obviously not just a bad day thing) and told to just call roadside assistance and go from there. I was also told that tires were not covered under the warranty, which was the only question he bothered to answer. Of course they arent. In all, because I did not have a spare tire, it took me 6 hours and a total loss of days wages to get a flat tire fixed, and surprise! Its covered under warranty. So not only was the guy rude, but he lied to me too. I have become more acquainted with the service staff at Kia in the last 9 months than I was with my mechanic in the last two years of my used car. I bought a new car to avoid that.I am very dissatisfied with Kia and their customer service. I requested a manager when I got there, to discuss the issue of the rude representative, and he never once showed his face in the time I was waiting for my car to be fixed. Because of that, I came here to post a public review instead of keeping the issue between me and the manager.

My car has been intermittently cutting off. The last incident was on Monday morning, it would not start - even though all the functions came on. Car had to be towed to the Dealer. Dealer confirmed that the car was NOT starting, and it was reverting to the default setting/test setting or something like that. They were looking into it. Well - they did not give me a loaner vehicle - even after repeated request, and the Customer Complaint service informed me that I need to secure transportation on my own and that he too has to do so for his own CHEVY.. talk about customer service that SUCKS!!Well, it is Day 3 - no calls from KIA to me, I am the one who has been checking on the status of my vehicle daily. The KIA rep supposedly came out yesterday but because they are not able to duplicate the error - they are unable to assist. So the bottom line, from the Complaints service Rep that I just spoke with is - Take the car, since it starts now... but we cannot guarantee it will not do the same thing. Also, Ive found online complaints where the KIA has just cut out while driving. This horrifies me, since I have young children and we have long commutes. I need some help, please.

I have a leased 2015 Kia Sorento with less than 23,000 miles on it with a blown engine. I just got my inspection and oil change done last week. The car came back and was making a funny sound that got progressively worse (like a baseball card in a bike spoke). The car ended up dying completely while being driven and was towed to the closest dealership. I was told that there was sludge on the engine and metal flakes in the oil and that the engine needs to be replaced but Kia probably wont cover it unless I can provide them with maintenance records. They have the most recent oil change record but they wants them all (works out to about 3) which I dont have because I go to a little corner garage. Now that I see blown engines and sludging is a known issue with Kia, I will contact whoever I need to contact to get this taken care of (the estimate was $7200) and I will NEVER purchase or lease another Kia ever again. I thought they made big improvements from a few years ago but I guess that it just on the outside, not the inner workings of the vehicle.

Our problem seems minor when I read some of the complaints people have. The rear seat release, passenger side has broken which does not allow us to raise the seat back to a sitting position. This allows only one person to sit in the rear seat. The release was always balky but since it was used only sparingly we lived with it. Well it finally failed. If you look closely at it, the lever handle is connected by a flimsy plastic piece that broke. My dealer gave me price in excess of $600.00 to repair. Since we have 63,000 miles it is out of warranty. We were told to contact Kia Customer Services, which we have done with very little results. We have been waiting over two weeks for a response. We were told we could expect in two business days.

I purchased my 2014 Kia Sorento after it was a leased vehicle for two years. I was thrilled at the beginning until halfway through year 2 of owning it ALL of my paint started peeling off of the roof and the sides of the windshield. After fighting Kia for months and them denying that anything with their paint is faulty and taking it to numerous repair shops I got it painted for the low low price of $1,000. I then had the OTHER side of my windshield start peeling less than 2 weeks after I got the driver side painted resulting in me having to fight with Kia again. I have been fighting this battle since June of 2018 and am still waiting for my reimbursement check from consumer affairs for the first round of repainting. They apparently keep forgetting to hit their magical process button for my check as that is the excuse Ive now received 3 times from them. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THEIR CARS. The paint is not properly applied and is not thick enough and will start peeling just before year 4 of owning the car. Kia will tell you they only insure their paint job for 3 years and that you are out of luck. This product is faulty and they are not willing to do anything except turn you away and not acknowledge the problem. Terrible company.

My 2014 Kia Sorento is peeling. The paint warranty is only for 3 years or 36,000 miles. My vehicle was beyond that. I believe paint should last more than 5 years. Kia differs. They refuse to do anything. Despite the fact that the paint is peeling off in 2-3 inch chips, they insist there is nothing wrong with their paint. carcomplaints.com shows many customers are having the same issue. A car paint expert even explained how the paint process was done incorrectly. I will have to pay $1000 plus to have my Kia repainted and then I plan to trade it in quickly before any more of the paint peels off. I will never buy a KIA again.

In March of 2012, I purchased a new 2012 Kia Rio. Not long after having it, the radio would not read CDs. I had it in the dealer service department several times, and I would still have the same problem. The dealer finally decided to replace the radio with a re-manufactured one. The refurbished one that was put in was even worse than the original one. It would freeze up, go out, and do things without me touching it. Also, I would lose control of it, and it would even stay on after the car was shut off, key taken out of ignition, and car locked. I took it to another dealer to have them look at it. And after a long period of time of having problems with it, it was replaced again with yet another refurbished one. It worked okay for a while, and now all of a sudden, when turned on, there is no sound. There is no sound whatsoever when I run the volume knob up and down. I am fed up with Kia for their products and service! I will never buy another Kia! I am in the process of filing a lemon law claim with the BBB. They should buy this vehicle back after countless sorry attempts to fix the problem and Im still having trouble out of it!

My mother was driving her 2010 Kia car when the gear stick came right out in her hand! Imagine what a shock that was, when she was just left with the stick. My father had to come and pick her up. Shed had to be driving the car slower as the gear wasnt working and she ended up causing a traffic jam. When she could finally pull over into a safe area, she let Kia know. They told her to bring the car to them! She explained calmly that she wasnt going to drive a car with a non-functioning gear stick. The lady on the other end of the phone tried convincing her that she should just go really slowly. Unbelievable! When my mother became angrier and asked them if they really expected her to drive the car, another man came on the phone and tried the same tactic. My mother said they needed to come and get the car. Surprise, surprise; there was no one available. And, to add to this, apparently the gear stick doesnt form part of their 7-year warranty anyway! Now, maybe its just me, but Im thinking theres something really fishy about that. How convenient! She asked them what came in the warranty then, shed like to know for the future!Never mind that she has had continual problems with Kia before and even that very morning when she had gone to get her car fixed after something had fallen off the front, they didnt have the correct parts when she went so that was a wasted journey. It was as if everything was supposed to happen that day in order for us to realize that Kia is a very dodgy company. I agree with the other reviews here: a shoddy company, with shoddy parts and shoddy customer service. They dont help you; they mess you around, and their warranty is very shaky as they try to wriggle out of whatever they can. Shell be getting rid of this car as soon as she can and well be spreading the word about this not-fit-for-purpose company!

2003 Kia Sorento - I used our savings money and paid cash for our Kia and it only had 4,000 miles on it. Now, it has 53,000 and it needs a new engine. The wrist pin went out on it. Well I thought we had a warranty on it, 100,000 miles or 10 years. Wrong! They told me my warranty ran out in 2008 and I bought it in 2005. I am so mad about this because I am on disability and I don’t have the money to put a motor in it and I think it shouldn’t have needed one anyway. This car still looks brand new inside and out and has been taken care of. So now, I have a beautiful car that’s paid for and doesn’t run! A motor should last longer than 8 years. I love my Kia but I don’t like they wouldn’t do something about it! I will never buy a Kia again. My daughter just bought a 2013 Kia Sorento because she loved mine. I sure hope her engine runs well!

I bought a new 2011 Kia Sorento. I have always had a problem with the acceleration. It does not happen all the time, but now it is more frequent. I have tried to cross the highway, and when I accelerate, it is as if the car has gone dead. It will not accelerate. It will eventually get gas, and move. This is very scary, since I never know when it is going to happen. I only have 20,000 miles on it. I really wish I had not purchased a Kia. Kia mechanics cannot find the problem. I have changed type of gas, with no help. I feel like I am driving a car waiting for an accident to happen!

KIA makes a good car, but your experience with them as a company will be TERRIBLE. KIA delayed (by several months) applying the payoff amount to my old Sorento I sold to them, after I purchased a new one. This ruined my credit because KIA falsely claimed I did not turn in the car and never paid the last payment. This was all lies that they sent to the credit reporting agency. Customer service only transferred me to collections -on a car KIA purchased from me months ago. No one cared to listen or help. I resorted to a consumer lawyer and will hopefully get this resolved. After I involved a lawyer, I started getting letters from KIA in the mail stating I owed money from leased KIAs I had years and years ago. I will never buy from KIA ever again. They will take your money and keep taking, and when they do not apply it to your account, they turn you in to collections.

Its reliable and very efficient. Any issues I have had were easily fixed with a forum search & maintenance is not that expensive. It is also very cute. The Kia Rios gas mileage is amazing (30mpg!). It has a manual transmission, which is not common anymore. It was also very affordable. I can see this car running as strong as older Hondas, eg 300k+ miles. But the backseat do a not fold down, which I didnt realize when I bought it. There is no stereo output jack, no power door locks or windows too.

Traded in 2012 Kia for 2014 KIA at Jeff Belzers Lakeville MN. They brought the 2014 to my home. On January 22nd 2015, KIA had loud tick to the motor. Contacted Jeff Belzers the following day. They gave me no help said they would get back to me. I had to climb the ladder. Still no help on the issue. On February 9th I took it in to Bill Barth of Mandan. They contacted KIA, ran the tests that was necessary, the KIA only had 1000 miles on it, was a brand new 2014 Kia. Came back they found that the motor wasnt bored out and cleaned out right. So the motor has to be changed out and replaced. Been calling KIA affairs since January 13th 2015 now it is January 27th still the run around. Being passed through their agents having a car that Im paying for that I cant drive. It has been over a month so KIA customer affairs are no help. They arent doing the job for the customer.

The headlamp developed a crack internally. No mark on the outside, Kia claims it must have been hit. There is no way, no mark of any kind on clear globe, no way to break from inside out. Their service has been terrible, they are rude, they have been called with questions, and pictures for two and a half months. They wont send anyone to look at it, and they offer nothing. I will never buy their product and I caution anyone else. Inside is plastic and falls apart.

I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento in mid-2012. We love the model and its features; however, the car has less than 12,000 miles on it and its making us question the quality of the electronics installed in the brand. The electronic throttle control has now failed twice on my wife while heading to work. I mean, a total failure in rush hour traffic no less! It is a major safety related issue and KIA needs to man up and get it right. So far, however, Coleman KIA in Ewing, New Jersey has been anything but zealous, accommodating or attentive in this matter. IMO, Their 1st attempt at a fix was a software REBOOT/ UPDATE.This morning, it happened again (6 days later), again displaying a CEL/MIL and entering limp mode (correlating code P0638, 2nd time) along with 0 throttle response, on the interstate no less! My wife was fortunate enough to be able to coast it into the breakdown lane and restart it, though in limp mode. These incidents have put my family at great risk. Im not happy about this at all and can only wring my hands as I prepare for the We cleaned the throttle body again, statement noted on the service ticket. Make no bones, KIA. I will not hesitate to litigate if any harm befalls me or mine because of this. I just hope you got it right this time. If I have to apply for a lemon reimbursement and head for another brand, so be it. Right now though, I just pray you dont kill us all with unreliable electronics/build quality.

We have a 2014 Kia Soul, now has 104,182 miles on it. Took the vehicle for an oil change on 3/21/18 and advised the shop that the vehicle had been going out in the midst of driving. They kept it for a couple of days and $100.19 later, we were told we needed a new engine, but they had new cars on sale! (That! is sarcasm.) They didnt tell us why, and quoted the new engine to be $5100+ tax. The car sat in my driveway for about a week as my husband and I debated, should we get a new car? Or get a loan to pay for a new engine? But then, if we get the new engine, what if that triggers something else to go wrong? Called Customer Affairs, created a case, took the car back to the dealership, who has ONLY been the ones to handle our vehicle, for oil changes only, as we have never had any issues.Kept the car for TWO WEEKS, never heard a word, had to call, then we got the runaround, and was told that we were denied any help from the DPSM. We escalated the case, and had to call back the next day to be told all they could do is offer $1500 off of a $6800+ engine. Mind you, we were originally quoted $5100+tax. Not only am I livid, I am out a vehicle, and have been for a month now, Ive had to put wear and tear on my other vehicle while my husband and I share it, and now have to find a way out of this KIA SOUL problem.

Originally I left a 5 star review, but times have changed and the honeymoon is over. When I bought my car 2 years ago the salesman was good. I cant hate on Frankie. But dont be mislead by all these 5 star reviews. My gripe with this dealer is how they treated me during a service, WHICH HAS NOW MADE ME LOSE ALL RESPECT FOR THIS DEALER AND THIS BRAND. My car is still brand new with only 12k miles. With this many miles nothing should break on this car unless its defective. I experienced a broken wheel stud and lug nut. The wheels on my car have never been off before so obviously they must have cross threaded it at the factory. When I tried to remove it, it wouldnt budge and snapped (I was swapping wheels). Kia claimed I must have cross threaded it? How do you cross thread a lug nut when you are trying to loosen it?? Morons!!KIAs prestigious warranty would not cover it. This billion dollar company couldnt honor a warranty on a defective part that costed 10 bucks. So I asked how much to repair, since I needed it fixed? 75 bucks... Fine. Ill pay it and wait to avoid any more grief. 3 HOUR later the service advisor says we have a problem. The whole front end needs to come apart to put a 10 dollar stud in (hub, bearing, knuckle) and would need all the new parts too!!?? Huh??? Why!!? Commission maybe!!? The new price 504.00!!! LMFAO. You guys are out of your minds. Where did you make that price up... I called KIA corporate to find out about the warranty to pay for this defective part. Nothing. Useless and full of excuses.I had enough and pulled my car out of there. Guess what. Took it to a PROFESSIONAL shop and they did it for less than half the price!! Coleman KIA you lost me, and Ill make sure to let everyone know to stay away from you and KIA in general. For anyone thinking of a KIA, think hard, because when your car malfunctions (WHICH IT WILL) you will get nothing but excuses as to why the warranty will NOT cover it!!! This is your warning people!!! Once they sell you the car, they dont give a ** about your problems.

I signed a contract and paid $3000 cash (debit card) down on a 39-month lease for a 2012 KIA Sorrento for a monthly lease price of $299.95 per month. Contract signed 12/28. Scheduled to pick car up next day, 12/29. On 12/29 late morning, they inform me that the price of the car has changed to increase another $27 per month to a $327 monthly payment. Their reason was they could not get finance company to bump me to the tier we needed. I had a contract signed and a handshake at $299.95 per month, then they change their mind the next day and add $27 to the deal. I want them to honor the contract we signed. They now want to cancel the contract because I won’t agree to the new price.

Kia defective forward collision avoidance being blown off. I called Kia Consumer Affairs after our local Kia technicians replicated a malfunctioning FCA system, reached out to the Kia Corporate Tech Line to troubleshoot, and the Tech-Line refused to acknowledge any issue. To them, if the Forward Collision Avoidance system was working while in Cruise control mode, it was functioning fine. The system is supposed to apply brakes and give an audible warning when NOT in cruise control. And it had worked - twice. But never again. Although it does apply brakes when in cruise control mode and a car slows down in front of you. In order to replicate the problem, the local techs nearly wrecked my car while doing a white-knuckle test without cruise control. No alarm went off / no brakes came on. The system was not functioning as advertised to prevent sudden collisions when driving in regular (non-cruise control) mode.I called Kia Consumer affairs and they opened a case number for me. They reached out to the dealership to confirm the problem their techs found. They said they would have a field-tech come and examine my car. BUT Field tech called the tech-line, who said there isnt a problem, and field-tech refused to come examine my car. Kia Consumer Affairs blew off the problem and said they cant go over the head of the Tech Line. Really? VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE since everything is circular and the Tech-Line is God. Its supposed to work on paper, so the Tech-line believes there couldnt possibly be an actual problem with their product. So much so, they REFUSE to have one of their corporate techs look at it in person to verify the problem themselves! So, this is a safety Hazard. I spent $$$ on a high end technology warranty package. The vehicle is just 1 year old, and the reason I purchased all the safety features is null and void. And there is nothing I can do about it. Kia Consumer Affairs Department has no power to request something to be looked into that the Tech-Line doesnt want to acknowledge. This is not right. Even the Kia Dealership cant believe this is happening. But they, like me, have no power. DO NOT BUY A KIA VEHICLE. They have a serious issue with this safety feature and refuse to look into it.

Had to replace all the struts and tires. Switched dealers. At 60,000 miles, the car started to have major electrical problems. Second dealer was worse than the first, changed battery and radio unit. 1 week after purchasing a new 2014 Soul we took it back with concerned with a really bad bog when trying to accelerate. At that time we was told by Kia of Dayton service center said that that was just the way they were. Being an ASE certified tech for over 35 years experience I was not too happy with that answer basically saying that their vehicles all run like crap and this was normal. Then my wife tells me that the transmission started to get hard to shift. Now this is at 7500 time for our first oil change, so we take it in for our first oil change and check about the transmission. After 1,200 dollars later they said damage was due to my wifes driving and would not warranty anything. But the funny thing is that our 2003 Saturn Vue has 139,000 miles on it. Ive taught my daughter how to drive it and my wife drove the car everyday and has all original clutch in it. So you tell me if a person can drive one stick shift car for over 10 years and a brand new Kia Soul 7 months and needs a new clutch. Just ask yourself how good of a vehicle did Kia build. Well I would not trust ours to take out of town. I mean would you put your family in a car that has been broken since new? Of course not. So I did what I would advise every other Kia owner do the same - go buy a real car.

My car has 52k miles and for some reason, the engine light came on one morning. I was driving to work and I was only a few blocks away from home so I return and asked my roommate if I can use his car to go to work while I take my KIA to the KIA service department. When I picked up my car, they told me the cars computer just needed an upgrade. I thought it was weird but I was happy it wasnt something worse. I automatically noticed a huge, I mean huge, drop in mpg. I bought the car because it was supposed to be good on mileage, otherwise I would have bought a Prius which was my other choice. I took it back the next day and they checked it and they said that they found nothing wrong. I was really upset. They gave me a pamphlet that I should read to show me how to get better gas mileage; I was really pissed. I know how to get the best gas mileage out of my car and I do regular oil changes using synthetic - nothing but the best and regular air filter changes everything. I went from getting between 33-37 mpg to 25-28. I am a very upset KIA own. I dont know what else to do.

We will never buy a Kia again. We have a 2011 Sorento and the 100,000 miles or 10 year warranty only applies to the first owner. We bought the car at 1 year old with only about 18,000 miles on it. The second owner warranty is only up to 60,000 miles. The transmission failed a little over that. I started looking and found the Kia Sorento does have a lot of transmission problems. They are fixing some of the 2-wheel drive Sorentos but as of now, not the 4-wheel drive. We took it to the dealer and was told they may do a good faith fix. Of course they came back with a NO. We had no choice but to pay $2400 to fix it. I have also read that people are on their 3rd transmission, so I can see why Kia only guarantees it for 12 months. They know it be break again, so we will sell it very soon. I find this completely unacceptable for a well kept 3 year old vehicle.

I bought a slightly used 2011 Kia in 2011. It was in amazing condition and I spent the next 7 years taking immaculate care of it -- never missing an oil change and keeping up with the regular maintenance. Last week, while driving, out of nowhere my car seizes and then starts making a very loud rapping noise. Engine is kaput. I had it towed to my mechanic (my cousin so he doesnt give me any bull -- he even does a diagnostic in front of me and shows me exactly what is wrong with the car and why). He says one of the pistons broke, causing tons of metal flecks in the oil (which I had recently changed). The piston had also hit one of my spark plugs, chipping off a tiny piece of it. He said the issue is the exact same as all of the thousands of Kias being recalled, and that this is a bad engine and its the manufacturer at fault for it, not me. Especially since I had taken such good care of it -- no sludge in the oil, no nothing.Call Kia customer care & open a case -- they say I have to have a Kia dealership diagnose it for them to help me. So I tow it to a dealership and they charge me $120+ just for the diagnostic. I try to give them the diagnostic from my mechanic and tell them about the broken engine and the spark plug and the piston, and they wont listen to me. I go home and wait thru the weekend. They call me Monday morning to say my car doesnt have a broken engine, but that the tiny piece of spark plug is causing the issue and they need another $350 to try to remove it and it may cost up to $1100. I tell them to wait and call my cousin to ask if that sounds right. He said, no, thats outrageous, and he calls them and makes them put the mechanic on the phone. Mechanic is a complete ** -- didnt even run a diagnostic, just looked at the spark and figured that was the problem. Cousin asked if he ran a compression test-- of course he didnt! Then the mechanic tried to say it would take 3 hours for a diagnostic then, and cousin said, how long does a compression test take? Guy says, I dont know, Id have to look it up to which my cousin replied, Its certainly less than 2 hours. You can send me an itemized list of what youre doing.I ended up making my cousin the one the dealership had to go thru. And, GEE WIZ! Turns out when they actually DID THE COMPRESSION TEST, the problem with the car is exactly what my cousin said was wrong! And do you think Kia stands by its 100,000 mile/10 Year Warranty??! Of course not! Because Im the 2nd owner. And does it say on the ads or the website that it doesnt apply to 2nd owners? Not unless you find your manual and look it up -- Intentionally deceptive and misleading. And REGARDLESS, this is THEIR FAULTY ENGINE. Customer care wont do a fricking thing and expects me to pay thousands of dollars for a new engine, even though they KNOW its their responsibility and theyve already had to recall all their other engines (but for some reason not the Rio...) My cousin even called Customer Care and said my engine is affected by the recall, theyre just trying to save face. I have years and years worth of oil change and maintenance receipts as proof that the fault is theirs, and they wont do a freaking thing to correct their mistakes.I have never been so disgusted. The incompetence of the dealership, the arrogance of Customer Care, the mistreatment of their customers, the lemons they wont take responsibility for... I WILL NEVER BUY A KIA AGAIN. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the inevitable headache and HUGE repair bills-- STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM KIA CARS AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN.I now have to junk my car after I had JUST replaced the breaks and done a bunch of other maintenance to it. I hope the company goes bankrupt and burns to the ground. They are the most corrupt lousy liars I have ever come across. Just do a quick freaking search online and you will find hundreds and hundreds of stories just like mine. It is unbelievable that an 8 yr old car with 98,000 miles on it would die with no warning and Kia just shrugs its shoulders. This is unacceptable. If anyone files a class action lawsuit please let me know -- they need to be taken down.

I was driving into town to get gas before heading to work. I ran out of gas, called my roadside assistance, had them come give me fuel, tried starting it, and the roadside assistance person thought the battery was dead, and put a charger on it, and it still wouldnt start, and was recommended to have it towed, which I did. I called my mechanic at noon, to find out it had no oil, and the engine was seized. When I went to the shop there were no codes that pulled and I had no lights on the dash, no oil light, no check engine, etc. The mechanic actually had to show me where the oil light was, as it is right next to the low fuel light - I would have noticed it. Ive spoken to Kia who says there have been no issues with the 2012 Kia Sorento, but I beg to differ. I believe the sensor or fuse for the oil light had to have been malfunctioning, which led to my vehicle running out of oil, unlike Kia who suggested it was due to negligent maintenance on my part.

DO NOT BUY KIA!!! ITS NOT WORTH IT!! 3 months ago on 4/1/2021, Folsom Lake Kia received my new 2020 Kia Sorento for repairs from the result of a collision (WHICH I HAD JUST BROUGHT SIX MONTHS AGO). They sent my vehicle to Toyota Collision center (right next door) which according to Toyota Collision center would take 1 month to be completed/repaired. However, they notified me that they werent responsible for ordering/shipping of the necessary parts needed to repair my vehicle, that Kia Roseville was responsible. Toyota Collision was ONLY responsible for receiving the parts to repair the damaged car.For the first 30 days, my insurance covered my rental. But come to find out my repairs were going to take longer, due to a part being sent from kia damaged and received damaged by Toyota collision center. Toyota Collision also informed us the remaining parts were on back order due to covid, so you would think they would try to compensate their loyal customers in any way they could. That negligence put my cars repair status back a whole month. So I went to speak with Folsom Lake Toyota collision center to compensate me, since the part was going to have to be reordered because of it arriving damaged. Toyota collision center said its not their job to assists us with a rental, that Folsom lake kia should since theyre the ones working with our insurance and ordering/shipping the parts needed to repair my vehicle. So I took the advice of many people working on site, and I spoke with Folsom Lake Kias head supervisor (Doug I believe his name was) to get my issue handled at the lowest level possible. My wife and I, inquired about a rental or loaner vehicle, until my vehicle was completed/repaired.He informed us that it doesnt work that way and that we would have to contact Kia Motors of America to receive assistance. So we did.... And since then Kia Motors of America along with: Kia Motors Finance, Kia Consumer Affairs, Kia Assistance Team, Kia Collections Department have ALL avoided assisting us with solving our problem, (due to their initial negligence). Theyve ALL hung up on my wife and I, kept us on hold for hours on end, kept transferring my wife and I to different departments to avoid us speaking with their supervisors, been rude and said disrespectful things, tried to get us to sign falsified documents. So 3 (almost 4 months later) of rude, careless, and negligent departments, customer service associates, and supervisors (JILLIAN in collections department being the worst!) Im FED UP, with the horrible service Ive had to endure over the 3 months, which has caused tremendous stress on my wife and I, especially since we have 3 kids one of which is a new born! So since its virtually impossible to reach the head of these departments (cause they keep you on hold). So Ive had to leave a review here! To warn others of the horrible service, THAT COMES WITH PURCHASING A KIALong story short, DO NOT BUY FROM KIA! They dont solve issues at the lowest level possible and DEFINITELY DONT solve issues at the higher levels possible! Even in the midsts of a pandemic we cant receive any genuine help from ANYONE! & if you dont believe me read some reviews from Kia Motor finance!! They do not care about helping you! Money is everything! NOT YOU OR FAMILIES WELLBEING! Be safe, & God bless!

Why did my valve stem for my 2010 Kia Soul break? This will cost me $200.00
Why did my valve stem for my 2010 Kia Soul break? This will cost me $200.00 to replace. I love driving my little Kia. I was told Montgomery Kia/Chevrolet Preston Hwy Louisville KY personnel that, it is not covered under bumper to bumper warranty. They said that it is manufacturing defect and it was not broken by them. The stem is not covered by the warranty. A reason why it broke is that a long stem air hose chuck was used to replace the air. Individuals wiggling the long extension air chuck can bend and break off the computerized air valve. I believe in keeping good air pressure in my tires saves gas and tire wear. I believe that whether I had used or service attendant had used a shorted air stem chuck on this valve stem to this tire. It still would have broken off. And when the air hose extension chuck used on this tire, air hose was removed for air stem of this tire, the stem came with the extension chuck. This tire on the driver side front has several times registered air pressure was low on my dash lights the last six months. The tires on vehicles sometime lose air pressure. The weather changes from normal temperatures to lower cold temperatures.I was told by one of Montgomery Kia technicians that this is manufacturing defect of the company that makes this computerized valve air stem. While I was making an appointment with the dealership to replace the defective stem, the air stem on this tire had lost air pressure while my Kia Soul was in motion on the highway. This would be considered a blow out. As my Kia Soul was sitting still, the tire went flat immediately.I have very good records of service done on my Kia, which all recommends service checks have been done at Montgomery Kia. The manufacture defective valve stem broke and deflated at car service station. I had them replace the air stem with regular valve stem, which since 2008 most vehicles have this feature letting you know when tire pressure is low. This is a very good feature on my Kia. By the way, if anyone has a Hyundai 2008-2012, you have the same computerized valve stems in your tires like mine. Valve stem on a tire before 2008, you basically had to rip up the metal rim of a tire or unscrew the core of valve stem out for a tire to go flat, not because the valve stems were manufactured with defect parts. The computerized valve stem to me has alloyed (metal) fatigued. I believe in safe lighter vehicles, but you need dependable tires, rims and valve stems on the vehicles. If your engine blow-up, you will come to a rolling stop. If your computerized valve stems break on one your tires, you may be in an accident. If this manufacturing defect from a company that produced this computerized valve stem to me, should this be a recall from Kia. How many vehicles that are on the road that this company manufacturing defective computerized valve stems? How many Fords, Chevrolets, Hondas, Toyotas and Kia on the road today?

Last Friday it was raining and I was parked in a stall at the grocery store. I was on the phone (which comes through the radio) when I heard a loud POPPING sound and the radio went off and the screen completely black. I took the vehicle to AutoZone first as it was believed to be the fuse. The fuses were fine not blown. I then took the car to Car Pros Kia in Carson on Avalon Blvd. They charged me $118.00 for a diagnosis ($668.00) & then they say that the radio is blown. They would have to send it out for repair which would be $550.00 ($668.00-$118.00) and if they found something in it like coins & or toys/foreign objects then it would be an additional $1,500.00 on top of the $668.00. I asked if it was covered and because my car had 106,000 miles it was not covered! Out of ALL of the cars Ive owned this has got to be the worst. 3 MOS after owning it the stitching in the rear seats and the drivers seat began to come apart and of course this too wasnt covered under the warranty. I purchased this vehicle new (traded in my 2006 Volkswagen Passat, which was the worst decision Ive ever made. They dont care about their customers. I will NEVER purchase another KIA.

I was told the front bumper was replaced before I bought pre-owned. Within a month the paint bubbled and peeled. Bolts were not put in and I am now being told I ran over something and that is why the bolts are missing. I took it back when something rattled and fell off and was shown that a piece of the bottom panel was ripped off. This happened on the freeway after the rattling started about three miles before. I told them they did not replace the bolts when they took the bumper off to paint. They insist I ran over something but only the bolts on both sides are missing. I noticed the front bumper stuck out in spots after I bought it so I know that it was never bolted properly from the beginning. They are saying that if I dont pay to replace the bottom panels they will not allow my warranty if something breaks and the paint is now peeling and bubbling AGAIN. I am going to contact KIA customer service and if it is not fixed I will seek advice from an attorney.

My husband and I bought a 2009 Kia Sorento in December 09, three days before he was deployed to Iraq. We were told that we had a bumper to bumper warranty, and that everything would be covered. Within a month, I took the car back to the dealership to be told that nothing was wrong. On 3 other occasions, I was told the same thing. In July 2011, with under 50,000 miles, my car started to sound like an airplane taking off. I took the car back to Kia. And they told me I needed a rear differential. It would cost about 1400.00 to replace. They explained to me that the rear axle and back wheels could lock up. I asked about the warranty. And they said I needed to show them my oil change receipts. What does an oil change have to do with a rear differential? I spoke with the district manager who is very unprofessional and rude! She said that Kia will not honor the warranty and fix my car! Even the service manager was shocked! Kia prides themselves on their warranty, and now I see why. Because they dont honor it! Now we are stuck paying 19,000 for an SUV that is broke.

I hope this follow up gets posted also. The car went back again to the deal
I hope this follow up gets posted also. The car went back again to the dealer Grieco Kia for the Air Conditioner once again. The fuse keeps blowing after replacing the compressor on it. They have had the car since August 22, 2013, and it is now September 1, 2013. They have changed 3 parts on the Air Conditioning system and still, the fuses are blowing and they have driven the car approximately 500 miles of testing our car. They claim that they need to drive the car 100 miles each time they put a new part in. I never heard of such bull. They are doing this so we dont get the car back and bring it back again, because if it goes back 3 or 4 times for the same problem, we can return the car under the Florida Lemon Law. This is why they have not returned our new car to us as of yet. The funny part is that we are making the monthly payments on the car and they Grieco Kia is driving our car all over. The longer this goes on with our new car, the more I am telling people not to buy a Kia or any other brand cars that Grieco Kia sells.

I bought my 2009 Kia Rio in April, 2010. On Oct. 30, 2011, my car would not start when I came out of a store. There was a large, yellow sticker inside the door that reads For assistance, call. I called that number and it just rang. I did not see the transparent sticker in the window. Oct. 31, I dropped my keys at the dealership (Harris Kia in Lansdale, PA) hoping they could look at the car. I called the dealer at 8:30AM, they informed me that I had to call roadside assistance or pay for the tow. I called roadside assistance. They informed me that I needed the VIN number to verify service or pay for the tow. I left work on my lunch break and got the documentation out of my car. At about 11:30AM, I called roadside assistance again and set up an appointment for 4:00PM to meet the truck.By 4:30, there was no truck. The response I got from the local company, Mike Carrs Towing, was that there had been an accident call and the driver was stuck in traffic. We agreed that I would leave the keys under the drivers side floor mat. I had to leave as my ride was also having car trouble. At 5:10, I called the local company again. The receptionist gave me the same answer she had the first time. The car was picked up finally at about 5:50PM. The dealership checked my car and found that the battery was dead. I have owned the car for a year and a half and I am stuck for the entire amount. $185 + tax, $40 for checking the old battery and $40 for putting in the new one. How long does it take to put in a battery? Surely not a half hour.I am less than a happy customer. The amount of action I had to take and the sheer inconvenience are outrageous. Id hate to imagine getting stranded in my Rio and having to depend on the roadside assistance. I wonder if my warranty is worth the paper it is printed on. I had to leave 3 classes during work to deal with all of this nonsense.

Kia knows that 2012-2014 models have an engine problem that requires a whole new engine (connecting rods). They only cover this for 1st owners and will extend the coverage for 2.4L, 4 cylinder engines. So Im basically screwed because mine is a V6 and I am a second owner (cost $7K). Even though it is the exact same problem with the engine. I bought my car at CarMax with only 11,000 miles on it. You shouldnt have to replace your whole engine at 65,000 miles! I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND A KIA TO ANYONE! I even asked one of the main Kia service managers in my area about this and he agreed that he wouldnt buy one. Gee, what does this say about the company. I have called customer service and they could care less. I would at least expect a massive deal on the service at least. What is also scary, is that Ive been told and also seen reports that these Kia engines can just stop working while you are driving! The dealer here even told me it would be best not to drive it! Talk about being in a lurch-who can do that?? WARNING-DO NOT BUY A KIA!!!

I took my car to the Kia maintenance room at Beirut, Lebanon, but they wouldnt know the reason. They just answered, “we dont know, its working now.” Take note, I bought the car from Kia Lebanon with 0km.The interiors are crunching, especially the front glass. Is it normal? Take note that Lebanon does not have high temperature, we are not Sahara that the car should melt. The wheel stands are easily damaged and I repair them by kicking them, are they plastic?

When we took the car in, with this flat tire, we were told they were unable to patch and patch and a new tire would be needed. Trouble is, all four tires were new and we had never changed any. The only tire ever attended to prior, was another flat tire we were told was also not repairable. So with 4 new tires, how could we have a patch? Apparently we were not sold a new tire the last time, and instead, replaced by a patched tire. Now they say they dont remember so it is our word against theirs. We are not happy about this.

After purchasing a new Kia Sport and financing it through the Kia finance I have had one bad experience after another. I set the vehicle up on auto payment and that went fine for 1 month. After 1 month Feb 2016 I received a letter stating the payment was not made. I called and explain to the finance rep that it was set up on auto payment and that I even tried to go online and make the payment and I was not able. After some looking into the matter the rep informed me the car was totaled and they had some sort of insurance hold on it. I told them this was a mistake as the car was not totaled . After verifying insurance etc... they have not been able to successfully release the hold on this vehicle. It is now May 28th and I have called at least 10 times to resolve the issue with them with no success. Just a lot of promises to call me back, to get the issue resolved and still no success. They do not seem to have any clue how to resolve issue from department to department. Now after 3 months they are sending me collection notices and threatening letters. I have consistently attempted to rectify the problem and they are ineffective and lack any sort of resolution capacity. PLEASE KIA get it together. I refuse to pay another dime till I have something in writing stating this situation is your problem. I do not want my credit ruined because you put a hold on my vehicle by mistake. And furthermore what about the other party who totaled their vehicle. What misfortune has KIA perpetrated on them.

Kia South Atlanta has to be the most unprofessional and dishonest business
Kia South Atlanta has to be the most unprofessional and dishonest business that I have ever dealt with. I had two diagnostics prepared from two other locations free of charge on my 08 Kia Rio due to the check engine light. The car broke down 2 months after I purchased it (Fayetteville Ga)on the misfire of a plug . The steering wheel cracked up after 3 months and it was not covered on a new car. The same problem re-occurred. The dealer charged a diagnostic fee of $89 that was to be refundable. The first time the exact same problem occurred, it cost $145 not including my personal towing fee ($50). This time, the same problem cost $216 and the $89 for the diagnostic was not refunded. First, they dont keep their word, so get it in writing. As a first time owner, I expected better treatment; however, I learned my lesson. Service is horrible. They were supposed to call me. When the vehicle was ready repaired, there was no call. I took the car to them at 10:30 on 1/30/12 and it was to be ready at 5:45. They didnt even call me. I called Kia South at 5:40 and they stated the auto was ready. However, upon arrival, they charged for the diagnostic and the auto was, in fact, ready. I am very disappointed in the service and I feel that I should not have to pay the $89 fee when I had already had that action performed which identified the problem. Consumers need to be made aware of hidden fees because Kia will not. I paid $89 for a problem that was identified before I even went to Kia South for the repair. Beware, as a new car owner, the 100000 mile warranty is no good and the service also. Thank God its almost paid off. I will never deal with Kia again.

The doors have been stuck open several times, which really sort of puts a damper on long trips. It is a severe safety issue. I have manual doors, and we have it towed when this happens. But they insist there was no latch issue, even though weve had multiple failings. (Our neighbor with power doors has had them open sporadically while traveling 70 mph with kids in the back!)Further, I have to change the headlights (both, and both high/low beams) quarterly, because the alternator doesnt regulate the voltage well and you can actually see the lights getting brighter/dimmer. They blow out fast, and I have been stopped by police no less than six times (three with fix-it tickets where I have to take it back in the next day and show them its been fixed).I also had to pay for new power steering hoses because of squeaking. Fairly costly. The latest is my breaks slip regularly, and ABS is not covered under not a warranty repair. Why brag up ABS if the brakes dont work at all? ?

First off, I was a college student and wanting a new car with a warranty so then I wouldnt have to worry about having to pay extra for cars that I recently had that kept breaking down and I had to empty my pockets to keep running. I knew that I couldnt afford to get a loan for a better car and I looked in KIA and heard nothing but decent reviews about them. But from that start I got conned, I spent $14,000 for a new KIA with already 216 miles of test driving done on it and it was a manual with no bells and whistles, not even an air conditioner. But me being conned was my fault. I should have brought someone experienced in buying a new car with me, but fault still falls on them for taking advantage of me and not having ethics on their side of business. My next complaint is that I have automatic lights that I can just keep the switch on and the light automatically turns off. But when the cold weather of the winter time hits me, my light somehow miraculously turns back on and kills my battery. I called in and told them about my issue just 3 months after me purchasing my brand new car and they said that there was nothing to do about it. I wrote in several complaints over and over to the company and still nothing happened. Now, Im stuck with a battery that has gone completely bad from all the times that I have had to push start or get jump starts from. I will never buy another KIA as long as I live.

KIA has stated that everything refers back to the Owners Manual for everything. However when you buy a vehicle brand new an individual is not given a copy of the owners manual to read prior to buying the vehicle. In trying to get my blown motor covered by the warranty, I have found out that if you do your own oil changes a person is supposed to keep all of their receipts and put them in the manual. Not all people are of the personality to keep all receipts so this is not an excuse for them to deny the coverage of the warranty. I took the vehicle into the dealership because it had a problem in Feb. and they said it was low on oil at that time and that was the problem. Only a vehicle with 28K miles should not be low on oil when the last oil change happened at 24,830. Now at 33K the engine is blown and KIA is refusing to honor the warranty because they are saying it was a lack of maintenance.

07 Sorento - I have had my car to Kia service shops many times complaining about engine noises. The first at 7700 miles. Of course they couldnt find anything so it went back again and again. Its now in the shop 2000 miles away from my warranty being out and it needs a new motor. Now Im being told that Kia will not cover it due to insufficient service records. I have all the records, just some of the oil change receipts, dont have mileage written on them so they wont accept those. However its ok for us to have receipts from Wal-Mart where we bought oil and filter and changed ourselves, no mileage written on it but that ones ok. Theyll accept it. I spoke with someone from Kia before submitting my claim to them and she told me as long as I had some of the records that should be fine. What a joke. I think they need to start honoring their warranties or maybe make your cars right the first time.

I purchased my Kia Soul in 2015 at Kia Of Asheville in February of 2015. I havent had any problems until this morning. I was coming back from vacation & I was an hour away from home. While going up a mountain, all of a sudden my clutch started shifting on its own without me even putting the clutch in (The engine light didnt come on either) then there was a strong burning rubber smell in the car so I pulled over turned off my car & turn the hazard lights on and called my mother-in-law. A few minutes into our conversation my hazard lights died and I could not start the car. I called Kia roadside assistance and they came and picked me up and took me to the Kia dealership where I purchased my vehicle in 2015.I have been driving manual transmissions for more than 20 years, my last vehicle the clutch lasted almost 6 years before needing replaced. I have never had my clutch and battery go out at the same time. Kia of Asheville is saying that its not covered under Warranty but they need to get into the transmission to know for sure which will cost more money! They called me back with a worse scenario cost of $1500 unless its caused by something under the warranty. But Why would I buy a battery from Kia if this one only lasted a little over two years? And what about the clutch!? Theres only 50,000 miles on my car & my clutch should of lasted at least 100,000. I know a clutch is a wearable part but its strange that the battery and clutch went out at the same time because theyre two separate entities.I think theres something else going on and Im afraid Kia is going to say the Warranty is not going to cover this. Has anyone else had this problem? Im reading all the horror stories about Kia and its got me convinced that I wont buy another Kia. I found out Kia & Honda have a lawsuit against them for the type of wiring they use. Did I make a mistake in buying my car?

There was nothing to finish, I was not past due so she needed to stop treating me like I have poor credit. I tried to pay the mileage with my credit card which they said they cannot accept a credit card payment. Which to me money is money it should not matter. They are not willing to work with you. As a summary - last year, my 3 year young Kia Soul, with less than 30,000 miles had a check engine issue. The check engine light would go on, and the car would not go more than 5 mph. It was brought to multiple dealerships, and engineers from Kia were brought in to assess the car - with no resolution. I was without a car, and not offered a rental car, for a total of one month. For one month, I had to find rides to and from my job, because of Kias incompetency and clearly defective product. It was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with such a young, low mileage car. It was a few days/few miles shy of falling under the NY State Lemon Law, so perhaps this horrific series of events will warn others against doing business this awful company.Heres the Order of Absurd Events from Last Year: Sunday, May 17: I left my house and got about 1 block away. I stopped at a stop sign, and the “check engine” light came on. I then proceeded through the stop sign in order to pull over and realized that my car would not go more than 5 MPH. I turned around and (very slowly) made my way back home.Monday, May 18: I called Kia to have my car towed to the dealership. The closest dealership to my house is Generation Kia located in Bohemia, N.Y. At about 10 a.m. the tow truck showed up and my husband and I drove to the dealership in order to fill out any necessary paperwork. We were told that we would receive a phone call with an update as soon as they looked at the car.Wednesday, May 20: I received a phone call that the car was ready to be picked up. They had supposedly changed the “throttle body and gasket” and performed a “multipoint walk around inspection on vehicle.” I drove the car home with no problems. When I got home, my father opened the hood to see that the engine was shaking and looked very old and dusty, and not how the engine of a three year old car should look after being brought in for service.Friday, May 22: I went to leave my house at 8:30 a.m. to go to work and when I started my car, the “check engine” light was back on. The car was brought back to Generation Kia in Bohemia, N.Y. I was told I would receive a phone call once they figured out what was wrong with it. On Saturday morning, my husband called the dealership asking for an update – at which point the dealership confused him with a different customer. Once they figured out who he was, he was told that they had “no idea what was wrong with the car.” He was also promised a rental car if they still couldn’t figure it out by the next week. Monday, May 25 was a holiday and the dealership was closed.Tuesday, May 26: After numerous phone calls to the dealership, we were finally told that they changed the electrical connectors and the check engine light was now off. They also told me that their mechanic was going to “take the car home tonight and drive it around to see if the check engine light comes back on.” I found this to be extremely unprofessional and did not want a stranger taking my car home with them. I went and picked up the car after work. I received a survey from Kia regarding my experience with the Generation Kia dealership, and expressed how unsatisfactory their service was. I had to constantly call them for updates, after being promised that they would call me.I was promised a rental car one day, and then a few days later was told that they “didn’t have any loaner cars” and that they never promised one to me. In addition, the woman answering the phones at the dealership was rude, constantly sent our phone calls back to herself instead of to the mechanics, and told my husband that it was, “not her job” to see if the mechanic was available to take his call.Monday, June 15: I drove my car to work without any issues. At 5:00 p.m. I went into the car, started it up, and the “check engine” light immediately came on. I drove the car around the parking lot and found that it, again, would not go more than 5 mph. My husband picked me up and I called Kia Consumer Affairs to see where I should go from here. I expressed the fact that I did not want to return to Generation Kia in Bohemia, N.Y. due to their unprofessional antics – and after learning that the Dealership was being sued for fraud. I asked if I could have the car towed to a different dealership. I spoke with a gentleman who said that he completely understood, and mentioned that I could have the car towed to Smithtown Kia – which is where I actually purchased the car – even though it was a slightly further distance than the other dealership. He told me to, “get the car towed there as soon as possible,” and that “Kia will probably have one of their engineers go look at the car since this is the third time it’s being taken to the dealership.” He confirmed – explicitly – that this was the third occurrence, and I confirmed that it was the third time in about 5 weeks that the same issue surfaced and was not resolved.Tuesday, June 16: I had the car towed to Smithtown Kia. Wednesday, June 17: I called Kia Consumer Affairs to find out whether Smithtown Kia should be working on the vehicle, or if they should wait for Kia’s “engineer” to visit and look at the vehicle. I spoke with a different gentleman who explained that he “could not tell me either way what to do.” He mentioned that my case had been “escalated,” and that I needed to speak with my “case analyst.” He then asked if I received a call from the analyst, and I told him I had not. He told me that her name was Bernice **, and offered me her phone number.I called Bernice at 11:51 a.m. and left a message on her voicemail. A few hours later, I called Bernice again and she answered the phone. She said she was waiting to receive the “vehicle repair history” that she requested from the dealership. I asked her when I can expect to hear back from her. She said “if she gets the repair history today, and speaks to the district representative, hopefully within the next two days, they will be able to look at the vehicle.” Bernice called me at 4:12 p.m. and left a voicemail stating that she had contacted Generation Kia in Bohemia, N.Y., and they informed her that the vehicle was not there. I immediately e-mailed Bernice at the address that she left on my voicemail and told her that my Kia Soul was at Smithtown Kia in Saint James, N.Y.Thursday, June 18: I called Bernice and left a message to let her know, again, that my Kia Soul was at Smithtown Kia in Saint James, N.Y. I mentioned in the e-mail that “My car has been sitting at Smithtown Kia for 3 days waiting for an Engineer from Kia Corporation to take a look at it.” Bernice called me back at 11:37 a.m. and left a voicemail. She stated that she received my messages that the car was located at Smithtown Kia. She contacted them and spoke with Bill. She told them to do a “full diagnosis of the vehicle” and to open up a “tech hotline case” with their techs out in California for assistance if needed. She said, “at that point, once we do have a full diagnosis and been assisted by ‘tech line,’ if your concerns are not resolved at that point, we will then dispatch a field technical rep to the dealership.” She goes on to say that once a diagnosis is made and if the field technical rep is required, they can look into providing me with alternative transportation from their “district parts and services manager.”At 12:30 p.m. I contacted Smithtown Kia and spoke with Tom. He asked if Bill could call me back. At 1:15 p.m., Eric with Smithtown Kia called and said that Bernice did call them to tell them that they could begin working on the vehicle. He said as soon as his master mechanic can get to it, he will look at it. I asked him to please let me know once he looks at it. He said he absolutely will, and that he would be personally overseeing everything.Friday, June 19: I spoke with Eric from Smithtown Kia. He said the vehicle is performing perfectly, but they realize there is still a problem. He said they were working with “tech line,” as Bernice mentioned in her voicemail on June 18, and that they had been going back and forth with tech line all day long. He said they were taking the vehicle for a test drive to see if the “check engine” light would come on for them. After receiving no return phone calls or e-mails from Bernice, I e-mailed a summary of the situation to Amy **, Shamit **, Scott **, Karla ** and copied Bernice **, hoping that some of the people at Kia headquarters would be better able to assist. I received no response from anyone.Saturday, June 20: I received a call from Eric with Smithtown Kia. He said that unfortunately he did not have an update for me. The car was still performing perfectly, he was working with tech line, but the issue was not yet resolved. Eric and Smithtown Kia were extremely patient and polite and were the only people that actually called me back throughout this month-long ordeal.Tuesday, June 23: Bernice called me at 5:00 p.m. She said she spoke to the Smithtown Dealership and requested a field tech. He will “hopefully” be there in 2 days, on Thursday. She was unable to schedule the tech previously because their process is to have the dealership look at vehicle, work with tech, and then schedule a field tech rep. She did not ask dealership for rental car and put me on hold to find out if I was approved for one. She came back and said that I was FINALLY approved for a rental up to $40/day. I could get a car at any rental facility. Once repairs were completed, I would be reimbursed with a check from Kia. It would take 3 weeks to get reimbursed. I asked her when I can expect to hear back. She said if the field tech goes on Thursday, she will call and let me know. If he has to go later than Thursday she will call and let me know that as well.Thursday, June 25: I received a phone call from Paul ** who said he was with Kia Motors American Corporation Headquarters located in Irvine, CA. He apologized that it took so long for them to approve me for a rental car. I mentioned that I was told I would be reimbursed for up to $40 per day, but that unfortunately, in New York, I could only find rental cars for about $55 per day after taxes and fees. He said $55 per day was reasonable and I could go ahead and get a rental car for that amount and still be reimbursed. He mentioned that the field technical representative was working on the car – that their field technicians are highly experienced and that my car was in good hands. He said to contact him with any questions or issues.Friday, June 26: The Smithtown Kia Dealership called and said that the highly experienced field technical representative had been working on my car all day Thursday. Unfortunately, these highly experienced folks still could not find the problem, so they wanted to put a “flight recorder” into the vehicle, so that the next time my car breaks down (how reassuring), I would have to push a button and it would record the data so that they can HOPEFULLY see what’s going wrong, and POSSIBLY fix it. Because, doesnt everyone want to drive an unreliable car that at any point will break down and leave you stranded?THE END. Im sorry to say that this issue was never resolved. I got rid of the clearly defective Kia Soul and purchased another vehicle - from another company. I will never purchase another product from Kia. They are unprofessional, they dont stand behind their products, and clearly do not care about their customers safety or well-being.

Just received first bill will three days notice to pay. I have been on phone over 2 hours and cant get an account set up. Their reply, You have to get another computer (had tried on a computer and my phone) and just keep trying. I then asked for a manager and was begrudgingly forwarded to a manager who kept trying to help and now 2 hours 20 minutes later, still do not have an account and they cant set one up for me (even though they have all my info on their computer system).

I just noticed a bubble on the hood of my 2010 KIA Soul. I called the dealer and they said that Kia only warranties paint for 3 years or 30,000 miles. Well, it just so happened that although its within the 3 years, I am over the mileage by about 15,000. First of all, what do miles driven have to do with paint? I told him I keep it garaged at home and under cover at work. It rarely gets sun exposure other than when Im driving. Im not happy!

Would never purchase another KIA. Customer service is horrible!! I was in a car accident in July. It’s current Nov and I still have no parts available for my Kia Sorento. Finally reached out to KIA customer service. Not sensitive to “valued customers. Spoke with a representative who could care less about how long I have been waiting for parts. She did the very least to so called solve my issue, then went as far as to say, What did I want KIA to do?. Ummm yes I know it’s a pandemic but seriously 5 months for parts. Terrible. At least care for your customers situation caused by a lack there of parts. O and then waited for a supervisor to call back next day and he expressed even more lack of customer service skills and showed he did not care at all. Had I known KIA could not provide parts for their cars, also had customer service as HORRIBLE as this, KIA would not have me as a customer at all! RUN far away!! KIA please train your staff that customer service goes a long way for paying valued customers.

I took my Soul to Kia due to a screeching noise in the front while braking thinking there may be a stone stuck in the pad. Come to find out the rotors had rusted in the front only to the point that they were pitted. I bought the car a few months prior from an independent dealer and the Kia dealer said that the car must have sat for a while but they were not sure. Thus is just conjecture on their part. They said the rotors were not covered because the warranty does not cover rust. They recommended that I call Kia corporate and see if they will make an exception. I called and was treated poorly by Robin, a supervisor, but after an exercise in patience she agreed to escalate the issue to the district service manager. It has been 3 working days and I am still waiting to hear back from them. I had to take it back so they could get pictures of the rotors over the weekend. The funny thing is that rotors on the rear are fine which makes no sense unless poor rotor quality or substandard design with the front brake system. The service department says that the district service manager will likely approve it but it can take another day or two and it will take more time to get the parts in. Meanwhile I am driving a car that the front brakes sound terrible and I feel unsafe driving. Very poor customer service and quality.

I brought a 2012 KIA Sedona 10/2011 and it keeps breaking down - On 5/23/2012, I was riding in traffic and felt a great big jerk, check engine light came on and the speedometer went all the way down. I had to swerve off the the road very quickly because it almost caused an accident. I tried to proceed after swerving onto the side of the road and the van would not go over 10mph. Someone could have been seriously hurt. This is a safety issue. I called Felton Holly Kia and spoke with the automotive manager Dawn. She stated it sounded like the throttle. I then called Kia Roadside Assistance and Dawn called Enterprise for a rental for me. On 5/24/12, Dawn called me to state that they replaced the throttle actuator. I picked my van up after work and left the rental car at the Kia dealership. I also asked Dawn, if this was a recall, then why didnt I receive a letter from the manufacturer? She stated she didnt tell me it was a recall. Actually, I understood her to say recall. She then stated it was a service call for the battery terminal and they replaced the throttle actuator. I then just left the dealership still upset and dissatisfied, but the van ran okay at that moment. On 6/3/12, my van did the same thing it did on 5/23/12, which consisted of riding in traffic, feeling the big jerk and the speedometer went down quickly. I could not get it to get the speed back up. It would not go over 30mph at this point. Kia roadside assistance was called once again on 6/4/12 to tow my van to Felton Holly KIA. I spoke with a gentleman on 6/4/12 (8:10AM) by the name of Peter and told him the problem I was experiencing with my van and that I would need a ride from work. He stated okay, they would take a look at my van to see what was going on. I never heard from anyone at Felton Holly KIA so I decided to call at 1:24PM (6/4/12) and I spoke with Dawn, who stated they still were not aware what was wrong and the maintenance personnel had gone to lunch, but would return in 15 minutes. I waited and then 2:38-2:40PM, Dawn called to state that they were replacing the pedal on my van. She stated this was all related to the same issue. I asked, how could that be if you replaced the throttle actuator? She stated she never stated the throttle actuator was replaced, but that they put the new computer information in my van, which was never put in. I stated, you never said that and she said she did. I just started jotting down what was being said by her. Dawn asked, was I aware how PCs worked when they install the new information? I stated no, so she called herself explaining it. She stated that my 2012 van did not have the new computer information, but it had the old information so they input this information in on the 5/23/12 incident. I feel like the information is being given and turned around once I repeat to them what they previously have told me. This is very frustrating. It seems like they are guessing about what is wrong and the real issue is not being resolved. I need help on how to handle this situation so I can utilize my options.

I was driving in my 2012 Kia Sorento on a beautiful 60 degree last month (November) and my sunroof suddenly exploded. It sounded like someone had shot at me. The glass shattered and fell all over me. Luckily there were no other cars around and I remained calm as possible. I had glass all over me. I had large pieces to tiny shards of glasses in my lap and all over the car. I drove the car to the dealership to find out I was the third one in the last couple of months this has happened to. Upon doing some research on the Internet, this is becoming a Huge concern with 2012-13 Kia Sorentos. This has happened to several people. The dealership had my car for about 3 weeks. Kia did fix it at no cost to me. However, I am very lucky I was not hurt or even dead. This is a problem that needs to be investigated so someone does not get hurt.

With the advent of keyless entry, there are bound to be lost key FOBS. They are ridiculous in price. Then you have to go to a dealer to have it programmed. They get you coming and going. Same with the built-in GPS. The new maps are expensive. I did not care for the car app that is for your phone either. No issues with the mechanical aspects of the Sorento even though if there was, KIA tech info was bought out by Snap on and you cannot access free repair info any longer.

I have to do work on my car from time to time. The last car was not safe for my little one to ride in, so I went and bought a brand new car. I thought that buying a NEW car, I would not be getting someone Elses problem! In December, my car started needing a jump, then it ran good for a while and then I heard a clicking that sounded like it was coming from the battery area. It has started blowing out air when the air is turned off. The clicking and blowing air seems to come together. Now I hear this while driving. I am rethinking buying the NEW KIA Rio for the safety of my child. Dont worry now there is a popping noise coming from the wheel area? If anyone has any thoughts or ideas, please help! Im the first owner but KIA says they are not sure what it is and Ill have to pay. HELP, please from a loving mother to another loving parent, grandparent, or anyone kind enough to help. People are buying these cars for their family, wife, or kids and it looks like they may not be safe for anyone. I think it is safe to say no KIA I have ever seen gets the gas mileage they claim. I paid off my car but do not plan to buy another KIA no matter what! Please stop buying or try to stop them from selling before they kill people with these unsafe cars!!!!!!!

We purchased this vehicle in April of 2017 and have regretted our purchase because of the numerous issues. We have wasted many hours trying to get warranty repairs on faulty brakes and electrical system problems and are still trying. Not only does this hybrid have very poor gas mileage and many strange glitches, it is also very difficult to get any service done as each of the dealerships only staff 1 hybrid technician. We have been to 3 different dealerships and in communication with the corporate office about a recurring abs system malfunction that they cannot figure out how to fix. It is extremely unsettling to have a check brakes alert pop up 2-3 times a month on a car that is still under warranty and extremely frustrating to be unable to get this company to stand behind their product and fix a potentially life-threatening problem. Protect your family by not buying a KIA!

The buying process of my 2016 Kia Sorento was great! I bought at Ourisman Kia of Chantilly in VA. I bought a brand new vehicle despite the fact that I absolutely LOVED my paid off 2002 Chevy Tahoe. It was giving me a lot of maintenance issues so I hesitantly said Ill buy new and save on repairs. All was great up until 5 months of having the car. It shut off on me twice out of nowhere. Both at red lights. I took it in for the scheduled oil change and so that this issue could be taken care of as well. The first response was We cant seem to find the issue. Would you like to take it home or leave it. Well of course I chose to leave it. A week went by no word other than they had to wait to get something back from Kia. After a month of being in a rental the matter was resolved. They had to replace the intake manifold (yes on a brand new car). 8 months later the car was acting up again. It would not accelerate and made a terrible noise along with rough idling. I took it in twice both times the dealer could not duplicate the problem so they couldnt do anything and I had to pick up or be charged for the loaner. All oil changes had been up to date via this same service shop. The car failed on me again a third time, I had it towed and after emails and text to the GM and service manager they were able to duplicate the issue. The ECM was then replaced (the car is a little over a yr at this point). I stressed again and again that I did not feel safe in this car. I am a single mother of 4 and work my butt off for a reliable vehicle and this vehicle was not it! I questioned if I had not been sold a lemon and that issue needed to be addressed. However both the GM and SM assured all was well now. I went on a 3 wk road trip right after this last visit at the end of June. Thankfully I made it problem free on my trip. But on my way home from NC on 7/24 the car overheated with no warning indications whatsoever. I was able to pull over to the shoulder before it just cut off on me. It was towed yet again (not even a month later) to the nearest dealer in NC. They have no idea why it overheated. Why so much work has needed to be done to such a new vehicle and informed me that the motor will probably need to be replaced. WHAT!!! I am so sick of this car and the dealer not caring at all that it was faulty from the start. I will be taking this up with an attorney and recommend not to buy KIA. I have been covered by its good warranty yes but that doesnt cover the safety of my kids or I. As far as the mechanics of the vehicle and the customer service when problem arise this purchase was not worth it!!

I am getting scarred about this sudden stop. Anybody knows what causes this problem?

Received Kia Motor Finance Lease Agreement, dated 09/19/2013 with noted Maturity Date of 09/19/2016. The disposition fee will be waived if you purchased or leased a new Kia Motors Finance within 60 days after the return of the leased vehicle. I had decided not to purchase and to return the car. I returned the car prior to 09/19/2016. When I leased the car on 09/13/2016, I had the alarm activated, 3m edge protectors door guides and handle cap, windows tinted 2-4 for a total amount of $1451. I had new brakes serviced on 06/06/2016 and completed set of new premium 19 tires installed just before the brakes this year. I took extra care of car which had no dents. I called Kia to go over added charge of $290 fee and was told the front bumper had a scratch which I was never aware of nor have I ever notice when the car was wax or washed. The car was waxed and spotless when returned. I took pride in keeping the car in top shape including using synthetic oil and filters. I received notice for request of $690 to be paid within 15 days from date of notice dated 09/29/2016. The total consisted of disposition fee of $400 and excessive wear and use of $290. My wife and I prefer not to be charged unnecessarily and as a result of this I will be frank with anyone that might be interested in leasing a Kia to watch out for these unnecessary added fees if one elects not to purchase the car. I sent check for above amount of $690. I did not take photos when I returned car since it was immaculate and did not foresee any problems.

I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento 22 months ago. Driving a few days ago, the vehicle started making a very old noise, then a huge bang. Stop and the car hasnt moved since. No check engine light... no low oil like... no indication that anything was going wrong. I kept all maintenance and upkeep records. I had a log on the oil changes since my dad did them regularly. The engine locked up, Kia wants 6,500 dollars to replace. I purchased the extended warranty, the warranty company will not honor since the oil changes were not performed at a shop. Im on a very difficult place being I still owe on car and dont have 6500 dollars laying around to buy another motor... this is a known problem and they are doing nothing to fix it!! I have the warranty and they refuse to cover since my dad did the oil changes. They told me they dont have proof my dad actually physically put the oil in my car so they refuse to approve the repairs!!! This warranty coverage was not cheap either. I dont know what to do, Im a single mom, no reliable transportation to work now. Dont buy a Kia!!!

2013 Kia Optima Hybrid - I have taken my vehicle to the Alhambra dealer 4 times due to a clicking noise on the brake and accelerator every time I would come to a light or a stop. The first 2 times they would fix it and then the noise would come back in a few days. The third time they did not find any noise which is irritating because I would hear every single day. The fourth time I went on a ride along with a mechanic and he clearly heard the noise so they had me waiting there for 4 hours till they told me I had to leave the car for further inspection. The vehicle was left at the dealer on 3-14-2018.As of today I still do not have my vehicle and they did not offer a rental or anything, I have been getting rides to work and back home and neither did they give me a date to pick up my vehicle. I call on a daily basis for an update and they just keep giving me the runaround and the majority of the time they do not return my calls when I leave voicemails, I also opened a case with KIA and the supervisor that has my case does not return my calls or emails either. I have never ever experience this kind of problem with any vehicle or any dealership. I am still under warranty with them but with no help on their behalf. This is really frustrating.

KIA is by far the worst company to deal with. The vehicles are horrible, and their warranty is a scam. I have had issues with my KIA Stinger since day one, and it has been nothing but fight after fight to get warranty work done. I have had 3 dealerships and multiple reps at their so called Premium Care division. The reps at corporate are all rude, and act as if they are doing you a favor. They do not care that the car has issues, and blame the dealers. I have had to get the Attorney Generals office involved with a consumer fraud case as well. Do yourself a favor and stay away from KIA. Their vehicles look good on paper, but they are cheaply made and will have many issues.I purchased 2 new 2018 vehicles, both the top of the line KIA has to offer, and they are nothing but trouble. One issues after another. We have a Honda CRV that is 4 years old and has never had to make a visit to the dealer for an issue. Better to have a shorter warranty on a reliable car, than to have to have the car at the dealer every week. As of this writing, my car has been at the dealer for service for 70 days and counting. They still have no idea how to fix the issue. And all this time I am expected to continue to make payments while not having a car for over 2 months. Please do yourself a favor and do not buy KIA. Just do a little research and you will see all the issues these vehicles have. I wish I had done better research before purchasing.

Nothing but harassment and terrible customer service. We purchased the Kia Soul in 2011. We love the car and havent really had any problems with it at all. Our nightmare comes from Kia Motors Finance. After being laid off of a job we had to survive on my wifes check. She has recently had knee replacement surgery putting her out of work and reducing our income to that of a disability check. Needless to say, it has become a struggle to make ends meet from month to month and our payments have suffered. Kia claims they are willing to work with us on the matter but by that they mean constant harassing phone calls demanding money. After finally getting another job, we are able to start working on catching up on our payments. However, we woke this morning to discover our car is gone.Time and time again I have tried to explain our situation to Kia Motors Finance. Time and time again it seems my words have fallen on deaf ears. The only work with you method these people know is the constant barrage of phone calls (several calls a day) asking when we can send payments and even more ridiculous, how much we can send. Even after managing to send a total of $700.00, we continued getting these calls. The associates are rude and unwilling to actually help anyone. They speak to customers with the attitude that we are being a bother to them or they have something better to do than talk to you about your situation. My intent to send another $550.00 payment has come to a halt with the disappearance of our car. If someone isnt actually willing to work with us and I lose my job because of no transportation, Kia will not see another penny of my money which is of no consequence to them being a multi-million dollar company. My late payments are not going to send these people spiraling into bankruptcy. After this car gets paid off I will never buy another Kia again or recommend it to a friend not because of the quality of the car, which is excellent, but because of the poor quality of customer service at the finance department. They need to re-think their methods of customer service or re-train their representatives whose lack of compassion and inability to listen to their customers is a large, oozing stain on their reputation.

You need to wait for five minutes before it can restart. It happened three times in the last four months. I took it to the dealer and they told us they cant do anything about it because they cant duplicate the problem. Also, they mentioned that the computer is not registering any faults. Their solution was to drive the car and when it happens again, have to tow it to the nearest dealer. If you survive getting stuck in the interstate, you may able to have to tow.

I purchased a new Kia Rio 2012 on March 7, 2012. The AC was not working after 2 months. To get an appointment, I waited for 10 days. After repairing, they have not rectified the complaints, so they checked again. I found AC compressor complaints and they told me to wait for 15 to 20 days to get the parts. This is too bad. What should I do for this? I’m 20 or 30 days without a car.
