This Hyundai car is just the right size, the amount of gas it burns is great, it gives a comfortable ride. There is plenty of room for passengers, the trunk is very large and great room for suit cases and groceries. Having front wheel drive and it handles well in the snow. Also, it has air conditioning, cruise control, CD player with an AM/FM radio, a five speed automatic, rear window defroster and keyless lock. Another feature is that the rear seats fold down allowing you to place big objects in the back, if the trunk is not big enough. The car also has driver and passenger side air bags. Though it did not have a spare tire it did have a tire inflator that can plug into an accessory socket. But I wish the car had a bigger engine because it lacks power and a rear camera would make it more easy to back up, it should also come with Bluetooth to make pairing with smart phones and MP3 players.

There should be zero or negative star option for Hyundai finance. Their customer service is horrible. They take your money first but they will make you cry and suffer to the necessary document they need to provide you to get the charge of your vehicle. Their CS is horrible. no training, no respect for customer and flat out liars. When you complaint they just drop your call so you have to call them again and wait in line for hours. As you can see review after review and complaint after complaint which also reflect in their ratings but no improvement. I hope KARMA catches to them. Strongly recommend anyone to stay away from them. I would never buy Hyundai car so that I never have to deal with Hyundai Finance.

Bought 2012 Genesis in July 2012. By Nov. 2012 noted rough ride on freeway and streets with small bumps or cracks would feel like car bottomed out with absolutely no Shock Sense which is still a problem today. Right veering/pull to right very minimal at first but now able to change lanes within approximately 3 seconds. Always told no issue found until recently. After researching the pulling to the right issue, many Genesis and other Hyundai cars have this issue, either right or left. Got Hyundai corporate involved and last time in shop for alignment issue, I drove with service tech to show pulling right issue. He agreed it did pull (same tech who 2 months earlier said there was no pull and even hinges was within specs). There is a Hyundai TSB for 2012 year put out in March of 2012 for alignment issue and how to evaluate it. Right front camber always in negative. Also excessive wear on right front tire even though rotated regularly. Black soot on tailpipe within a few months of having car, always told all OK. On looking up gdi 3.8 engines found this is a problem with need to use top tier gas and supposedly will need to clean intake valves, etc. Just research on Internet very interesting articles about gdi engines. Bluetooth drops phones and have to pair again with different name for phone. Just replaced carbon filter in fuel tank as on filling up gas pump constantly clicking off taking 15 minutes or so to fill up. Hyundai blamed veering to right in December 2015 on radial pull due to bad new tire or tires. We got second opinion from other alignment store and then obtained from where tires purchased. No radial pull noted, suspected strut and camber as camber in negative.Hyundai stated had to tweet subfamily on right to get right camber within specs. Interesting. Still have minimal pull to right but now dont change lanes within 3 seconds or less. For the paint chipping, we scratched or scuffed it up which is not true. We saw the exact same car color and year with the same problem on the frame under the driver door sill. Immediate response from Corporate and about week from their regional manager. Would definitely not buy another Hyundai. So fed up with this.

I have been a Hyundai customer for many years. Fortunately, I have only had to call for roadside assistance a couple of times. They were courteous and prompt. Even when I had some personal technical difficulties, they were patient and understanding. They did follow up calls to make sure that the service was satisfactory and complete. Very organized and very professional.

After four years of usage and 145000 km, I experienced a leak from the heater unit located inside the vehicle. The local dealer through the warranty department refused to address the problem indicating that I will have to pay in order to have the problem solved. I am concerned since I believe that problem should be the last to occur in a vehicle since if one is not familiar with vehicles it can cause the engine to overheat and engine damage. I have had vehicles in the past. This is my first Hyundai and I never had such problems with them.

My sister bought two cars. One for her and one for her son. The second day he was stranded on the highway because the engine seized. They went back to the dealer and wanted to return the car and get a new one since this was a major issue for brand new car. They would not do that but also could not fix it so he was without a car for two months until they filed for the lemon law. The dealer was rude to them like this was their fault. They called Hyundai and they would not do anything either. All they wanted was what they bought two cars not one. A work associate of my husbands who also bought a Hyundai from the same dealer had similar issues but it took a year for the engine to finally seize. He had taken the car to the dealer several times about the engine but they never fixed it or admitted there was a problem. There was a recall for 2011-2012 Hyundai’s for engine issues and seems like they have the same issue with 2018 models.

Corporate got involved Eric ** the worst did nothing just boss Jennifer just as bad. I called day after day and she refused to escalate to her boss. Corporate world is suppose to help them customers. Poor customer service get all the heat but Lazy corporate gets all the $$$. Bottom line they want me to pay $387. My car has been parked for 10 days and they owe me $400 plus for rental. I need the highest in command to reach out to me or I go to my local news and all social media. Enough is enough.

My 2011 Hyundai Sonata died on me last night while driving home on the 210 Fwy without any warning whatsoever. AAA towed it to Parkway Hyundai in Valencia, CA. I received a call today from the dealership telling me I need a new engine. Although my car has 150,000 miles on it, they are mostly easy highway miles and I have not had any mechanical issues up to now. I regularly have maintenance done to the vehicle. I am furious after reading numerous complaints from other 2011 Hyundai Sonata owners with the same problem and Hyundai not accepting any responsibility.

I was recently in an accident with my 2011 Hyundai Elantra. I had a medical problem and went through a field, hitting a tree. My airbags did not deploy! Luckily I was not hurt worse, bruising and very sore. I am really afraid that something could happen and it could be deadly the next time. I have never had a recall on anything with my car! I feel this should be looked into as I have read other complaints that airbags failed to deploy!

I purchased a new 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport. After the second week, found the passenger outer door handle doesnt work properly. So I called my salesman, made the appointment to bring the car in. While having this problem, the car hobbles every morning. Dealership told me it was the tires, and there is nothing they can do about it. The tires will smooth out in an half a mile. Well this every day thing stinks! On top of it the driver’s seat creaks, and now has somehow gone away, and after waxing it for the first time I find blemishes in the paint. Nothing you can do about it, it will just look worse if you fix it. The biggest problem is the Blue Link telecommunications in the car. It is terrible. It was so poor. I was calling Blue Link every day with issues like, why wont the car start with the phone, why wont it unlock the doors, and the maps they use are google, which are not updated often, so the car has no idea on where to take you. The whole car after one month just feels like Ive owned it for years, like a used car. I will never purchase a Hyundai again. I tried it, not worth it.

On 8/8/2017 my Hyundai Elantra vehicle started clunking as a way getting on to the highway. After pulling over, I saw a huge puddle of oil that was leaking out of my vehicle. After having it towed and inspected I was told that something let loose in the engine and blew a hole right through. This was after only going through a puddle but then having all parts affect cleaned out. A week later this is what happens. I have never owned a vehicle where the engine had to be replaced so quickly. It is only a 2015 with 109,000 miles approximately. I had a previous 2010 Hyundai that surpassed that mileage. I believe that something is defective in the way they have made these engines in newer year models. Everyone should be aware of this before purchasing because I am now spending thousands of dollars after only 2 years of owning the vehicle on top of being stuck with a significant amount due on my car loan.

Second week after purchase, the rpm needle dropped below 500 rpm a few time
Second week after purchase, the rpm needle dropped below 500 rpm a few times almost stalling the engine, then rough idle. I took it to the shop. Diagnostic said they found nothing. The 2nd time in was for abnormal rough idle, when in drive at a stop or when air con on. I had sales rep, finance mgr. and service mgr. involved with getting a resolve. I was told nothing was found. The third time, car was worse. I had sales rep and service mgr. both sit in the car to experience what I was talking about. The service mgr. took the car for a ride, came back and said, Yes, there is a problem (even a passenger can feel the vibration). But I was told by the service mgr. when picking up the car that Hyundai is aware of situation and that some Elantras out there would have rougher idle than others. This was characteristic of the car and that if they can find a solution for it later on down the road, I would be contacted. Does this make sense? Really?! I had the general mgr. (Mike **) at McCafferty Hyundai contact corp. yesterday, 4/26. I was told that they dont have an answer and if they find one, they will let me know. I was promised great service and the world, but have had frustration to the point of not sleeping. We purchased this car coming out of a used one so that we would not have any issues for a few years. If they are aware of this as Don ** (service mgr.) told me that Hyundai Corp. Service tech told him, why cant I get satisfaction? I feel like I got ripped off big time. We even purchased the extended warranty. All I get now is, Im sorry, there is nothing we can do at this time. My intelligence is undermined by saying to consider it part of the characteristics of the car. What kind of product are they putting out there? The greatest frustration of it all is that the rentals I had every time the car was in the shop were the same cars and none had this issue, and I even told them this. I just want my car fixed or find me one that does not have this issue. My first payment is coming up and I dont know what to do. Keep making payments on a car that malfunctions? I was told that they could probably trade me out of the car, but that now, its considered a used car. Is that crazy? I lose no matter what. Help me please!

Our 2011 Hyundai Veracruz is at the dealers now. Recalled item was handled previously and failed. However, they say they only fix once - so want us to pay $900+ to have same issue handled. Valve cover gasket allows oil to leak onto alternator, which then fails. Our car is STUCK in Hendersonville because we cant pay for the repair. On our 2011 Hyundai Veracruz: If there was a recall and it had been fixed correctly, the issue should be solved. It is not and the alternator has failed again. There seems to be a manufacturers defect and that is what should be fixed.

Hyundai Azera is a cross between a 4 door sedan and a sports car. 6 cylinder gas engine has plenty of power from 0-60 and fuel mileage is 21-27 mph which is decent economy. It is built solidly and provides a smooth ride even over bad roads. GPS and heated seats are standard. FWD provides solid traction in snow up to 6 inches. Lots of good driver safety features at an affordable price. Hyundai’s 5/60/100K warranty is best in the industry. Blue Link app feature provides remote start, SOS, and other invaluable features at a reasonable yearly cost after the original B to B warranty expires. Hyundai discontinued manufacturing the Azera in 2017. The only drawback is if purchased used, the powertrain warranty is reduced to 60K and prepaid MTCE cannot be purchased unless it is a certified preowned vehicle (CPO).

Just needed to let you know if ever you decide to buy a car, I suggest you
Just needed to let you know if ever you decide to buy a car, I suggest you buy it from Hyundai. Let me tell you why from my own experience - I bought an Elantra GLS 2013, from Hyundai Gatineau. Now wait, just wait till I tell you why you should not. After I bought my car. First of all, I get a letter saying that every year to go to where I bought my car and they will reimburse a credit card to pay the difference in gas because something about the consuming of gas is not ok, that the car should not drink so much gas. Then one yr later, getting ready to go to the States with 3 other persons and fill up my car with gas, so here I am all ready to go. Guess what, my car does not start, the radio works, the lights works, the battery is not dead so my son says, Mom, I have no idea what the hell is happening here.So I call CAA. He comes and says, Sorry, Miss, but need to take your car to the dealership garage. I tell him, But it is closed, so he tells me, I guess you will have to wait till Monday. So trip to the State, motel, friends waiting, everything down the drain. So Monday comes, me being really pissed off, I call and tell them that I am very upset with what happened and the answer was, Well, Miss we will call you and let you know what is wrong and this could happen at any dealership - no excuse. So they call me later and said, Your car is ready. You can come and pick it up, and I said, Well, I dont have a ride. He says, Well, cant you get someone to drive you? I replied, Hey, this is your responsibility. You get someone to take care of it. So he got someone to pick me up. Still pissed off, tell the guy this is the first time that I buy a brand new car and have so much issues with a car. He just looked at me like I was just a number, so I leave, get in my car and see my gas gauge. It was half full of gas, so I get out of my car and now really, really pissed off and go back inside to tell them about it and again Well, Maam, we did not drive your car. So I go and see the Manager. He brings me to see the Manager of the repair shop and looked at me like I was lying. Holy ** was I mad, so I said, I want to file a complaint, so they give me the number of Hyundai Canada. I call and tell them about what happened and yes by now, I am burning up OK. The lady at Hyundai Canada says she is sorry about what happened but We can offer you a gift for your inconvenience. I said of course yes, thinking this might be rewarding. Holy crap, I thought I was going to hit the roof. You just cannot believe what they offered me. This is truly what they offered me, a choice between a mug, a tuque, or a water bottle. I said to myself, Are you really that stupid to offer me such a gift after what I went through? I just said, Really, you can keep your gift, and hung up. True story, believe me. This is what I think about Hyundai Gatineau, Hyundai Canada, (NOTHING GOOD). Oh yea forgot to tell you what the problem was. It was a default in the wiring from the motor to the starter. I am 59 yrs old and have bought cars before and never and I mean never had issues like this. I have seen the complaints in the reviews and could not believe how many there was and nothing is being done about this. A guy needs a lawyer to deal with his problem. This is ridiculous. Why should this guy pay for a lawyer when there are so many complaints about Hyundai? What do we need to do for something to be done? You should allow us to return the car and get our money back so we can go to another dealer to buy another car. LOOK at the reviews about Hyundai and do something about it. Now I dont feel safe in my brand New car which does not make any sense at all. YES, I AM REALLY, REALLY PISSED OFF.

I purchased a brand new 2017 Hyundai Tucson on Nov 29 2018. Right now it only has 14300 kms on it. I was driving down a divided highway 6 in the morning with no one else on it besides myself and my child in the vehicle when my rear window exploded into my car sending glass all over my 2 yr old in his car seat. I was right in front of the Police station when it happened and no one was around... Hyundai says that it came from a impact but since I was the only one on the road there was no way that I could have got hit in the rear window. I took pics and brought the car to the dealership and gave them it to them... THEY NEVER even inspected my vehicle, they just emailed the pics to head office where they said it was from a impact. HOW DO YOU TELL THAT IT WAS FROM A IMPACT WHEN YOU NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT THE CAR TO SEE. I have called places that repairs windows like speedy glass and they even said that it could be from a short in the defrost in the rear window that caused it to explode. Since this happened I have had no satisfaction with this broken rear windshield... Myself and my child were very startled and no one from Hyundai has even done anything but send a email off. I am so very disgusted in the complete lack of everything. This has to be the worst service I have ever had... They never even offered to look over the car, never offered a loaner to get around in and never even offered to make sure the rear window was sealed up so the snow and rain would not get in.Right now I would never buy a car from Hyundai again. My child is scared to even go near this little toy cars because of the fright. I am even afraid of putting him back into the car because if it is a short in the electrical that caused the window to explode, will cause it to happen again... I hope that this message tells the truth behind the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. All I want is my rear windshield replaced at no cost to me... And I want people to actually look over the problem before they say what caused it. YOU CANT SAY WHAT HAPPENED THROUGH A PIC AND NOT LOOK AT THE PROBLEM ITSELF... I can keep going on about this but I think I made my point. I hope that something gets done with this message.

I have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson that I purchased brand new, had about 15 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. It was ok for the first almost 4 years I had it. This year in March my car got towed into Hyundai on Industrial Hwy, East York PA because it wouldnt DRIVE with my children in the car. My oil light was on, my fiancé is very, very good at keeping up with oil changes and checking this POS car. For the last year it had been leaking oil. It was never a lot but no car should ever leak oil. So Hyundai calls and tells me that my 4 year old car needs a new engine and that I have to prove where I got my oil changes because it was under warranty still (THANK GOD). So we did all of that and got a new engine in and didnt get my car back until July 2021. Ok so its now November 11, 2021 (FOUR months later) and my car is leaking oil not a little but a lot of oil and its not driving right. SO PLEASE PLEASE save yourself the ** and never ever ever buy a Hyundai. These cars should be taken off the market!!!!

I purchased my 2005 Hyundai, in late 2004. Since the day I owned it, I’ve had trouble with it, like from only 2000 miles on it the engine had a noise. I took it back 4 or 5 times, and they kept saying they didn’t hear anything. Well that is wrong, because the service manager that was there at the time heard it. I want to know what happened to him as he is no longer there. I went back one time to get my oil changed and found out that they only changed the filter and not the oil, which I could prove, so I made up my mind that I would never go back there for service. Now my car has only 48,000 miles on it and I have a real bad noise in the rear end. I took it up to them and they told me it was under warranty. A couple of hours later they called me and told me they would not fix the problem because of not having it serviced by them. The car would be serviced for as long as I owned the car, not by Hyundai but by my own service person, which should not matter because by law, you dont have to bring it to the dealer. This dealership has had a lot of problem with people over warranty work. I know of at least 13 people. The dealership has a bad name to begin with. Now that my car is 6-years-old, I am going to let people know just what kind of cars they have and how the warranty is nothing but a rip off. If I could talk my wife into it, I would like to paint the dealer’s name on the car to show what kind of junk it is and also let them drive it. Maybe thus I could stop another person from making the same mistake I made by buying one. You know it is a shame that when a person buys a car or truck, the first thing they look for is the coverage it has. By then if ever something would go wrong, they would not to be ripped off, like people from this dealership and the company. I will post on the internet and facebook for people to contact me, so like I said, I might stop someone from getting one of these cars. All I could say is thank you for reading this letter and to let you know my true feeling about a Hyundai.

Back in February, we traded our 2011 Hyundai for a 2012 Hyundai. We couldnt stop the final payment before it was sent and were told not to worry because they would just turn around and refund it.” A dozen calls and 37 days later, we finally received our refund. Then, our dealership messed up the paperwork for the refund of our extended warranty and it was sent to Hyundai Motor Finance. Now, three weeks later, we are still fighting to get that money returned to us. To top it off, because the credit for the car payment sat in the account so long and they didnt close the account because of the credit, they charged us account fees which they are now calling me at my office to collect. So they owe me $2000, which they dont seem to care about. But they are harassing me at work for $23.00, which I am told during every phone call is a mistake. We have the 2012 financed through them and have never been late. We even pay a little extra every month. In return, this is the treatment they give their customers. I have never seen such horrible service, apathy, lack of concern, and blatant disregard for the customer. I am disgusted with Hyundai Finance and will never deal with them again, even if this means this is the last Hyundai I ever purchase.

Got a lemon. 4/26/19 bought a Tucson. Less than 1 week it had to be towed in due to an antifreeze leak. The horn coil insulation was falling off. They fixed the leak but not the coil problem. Then another week passed and the vehicle would not exceed 40 miles per hour. The vehicle was towed in yet again. It has been in the shop over a week now. No one has given me an answer or solution. The paperwork has not been fully processed yet either. I received a renewal from motor vehicle for my old vehicle that I traded in. I received an email from my credit report stating my debt to income ratio was very poor because the new vehicle was added but the old one was not removed. Which means it was not paid off yet. I also received a letter from the credit union about the old vehicle needing extra coverage. I no longer have this vehicle and yet due to lack of submitted paperwork am being hassled.I contacted Hyundai corporation and filed a claim. They were supposed to contact me this week and the week is over and I have heard nothing from anyone. Please save yourself a huge headache and buy a different vehicle. I guess the only way to resolve this is with a lawyer. Sad world we live in. No one seems to care about the consumer.

My husband leased a new 2011 Hyundai Sonata, and when we were on Route 16 in New Hampshire, the brakes completely failed! My husband, an ex-marine, slammed on the emergency brake which stopped the car just before we would have hit two cars. The problem turned out to be the computer chip. The car was in the shop in New Hampshire for one week. Prior to the brake problem, until the present time, we have been having ongoing problems with the trunk of the car opening over and over again by itself. We cant use the trunk lest we would be robbed. For the trunk problem, we have had the car in for service five or six times for a total of eight days. It has never been fixed. Now Hyundai has informed us that they are closing our case. This car is a lemon. We need to reach John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai, for his help with this ongoing problem. Please, help us. We have leased Hyundai before, but this has been a really bad experience. Please, contact my husband at 908** or at **@verizon.net. Thank you.

I made an earlier complaint about this. The air bag light stays on at all times in my 2009 Hyundai Accent. I took it in for service today and it was there all day. When I checked on it, I was told the tech could not figure out what was causing the light to stay on. According to the service writer, they will have to check it one component at a time. This sounds very expensive. I cant believe this has never occurred before and I am the first Hyundai owner to have this problem. Hyundai was touted as a safety-minded company, but this car is not worth pouring money into while I still have payments.

I been having Warranty Issues since I bought my 2010 Elantra . Starting out with failing Brake Lights to causing misfire and to end it the EPS. When going to the Dealership for the engine issue, I had been told I have water leaking into my cylinder that needs to be cleaned out due to my car not having the engine light on. The same day the car had seemed to misfire and the engine light came on. I drove to the first Auto repair shop I saw and they run the diagnostic and it showed a code. They told me the issue was under warranty and I should bring it to the Dealership. I asked if they could clean the grease out a little so it would stop jerking. They did. I took it ten miles down the road to the Dealership and left it with them. Next day, they called me and told me all I had is some water in my cylinder and that it wasnt covered by warranty. So when I got to the dealership, he showed me the bill what was even more as that from the repair shop to fix the gasket. They explained to me they couldnt pull a code and the code given by me to them wasnt making any sense. So I took my car to Firestone and had them look into the so-called water in my cylinder. As they they couldnt find any water anywhere. Long story short, they didnt honor the warranty at all. Now the EPS seems to be failing and Hyundai expect the code to to read in order to honor the warranty. Well Dear Hyundai, the EPS dont stay on and you cant pull a code because no one be able to drive with the EPS out to the dealership so they can see the light is on. So again another bill on the Buyer cause Hyundai. So what Im trying to say is buying a Hyundai is a waste of money. They also stated what I called and complained, You dont have any Oil Changes on file with the dealership. Really I never had any issues with my VW when I took it to the Dealership about anything. And they did listen to the customers concerns and try to help and not send you out with issues that they didnt want to fix under warranty. This was my first and last Hyundai I had Purchased.

Hyundai is comfortable, has reasonable gas mileage, some luxury with leather seats and sun roof, rear window defroster and wiper, good stereo system, top carrier rack and cup holders in doors. It is also compact enough for one person, yet roomy enough for four people. It gets me anywhere and it has good consumer ratings. However, I wish there were more seat adjustments, air temperature control, heated seat temperature control, side mirror defrosters, different style of rear wiper so it doesnt get taken off in automatic car wash and heating system that doesnt blow warm air when fan is off. It also had some electronic issues early on that were covered under warranty. Rear wiper torn off in car wash twice. Must wash by hand.

Shiny plastic cover over interior driver door latch (to open) began peeling off. Before the warranty on this item expired at 60K miles, advised that the dealership had to order another cover. Assuming it is a peel off, stick on type of application. No mention of buying a completely new door latch just because plastic surface was peeling off. In the meantime, a fog lamp went out; one of the door locks stopped working. Dealer advised that none is covered by warranty. Cost of replacing the door latch $150 b/c the entire assembly is apparently required. Cannot purchase the stick on plastic cover. One light bulb for fog light, $75. Replaced one actuator for one door lock mechanism, $460. Service manager could not explain why these outrageous prices for simple repairs were required. Hyundai should allow their dealers to make profit on service, but this type of pricing is outrageous and abusive. I said no, and plan on raising hell in every forum I can.

I had a 2006 Azera that I drove for 147k Miles. It was a near perfect ownership experience. So I purchased a 2011 Genesis 3.8. Its been very disappointing to say the least. What made it disappointing is Hyundais degrading their warranty so that not a single malfunction has been covered by their warranty. I now had 51k miles on the Genesis. This is what had not been covered by their warranty. Navigation does not boot up ~30% of the time, moisture inside rear tail light, wind noise from passenger rear door from day 1, windshield wipers have no intermittent, phone bluetooth cuts out. Wheels peeling clear coat from day one. Dead front strut. So I would recommend avoiding Hyundai. I feel like a chump from driving one. Plus, the ride is rough and too much road noise for this class of car. Avoid!

I have recently purchase a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with 58k miles from a private party due to wanting to avoid financing and dealer fees. Main reason why I went with Hyundai was for their greatly advertise 10 years 100,000 miles warranty. Little that I know when I call Hyundai dealership about the status of my vehicle warranty I was told the warranty is non transferable to a second owner. That really let me down. I have been contacting Hyundai Motor Finance to try to get them to transfer my title from GA to NJ since April 2014. It is now October 2014 and I still cannot register my vehicle in NJ because they have not transferred the title. I have sent them three request and they claim to have not received the first two, despite my fax confirmations. They are currently preventing me from complying with NJ vehicle registration laws because I cannot register the car without the title. They also will not let you talk directly to the title department, instead making you talk to a customer service agent who acts as an intermediary between you and the title department. This inefficiency is now causing me to break the law, as my vehicle is unregistered and I cannot register it. Ive now had to take a day off work to go to court to explain why my vehicle isnt registered. Im not sure what to do. I cannot keep driving a car that cannot be registered.

Three years ago, I purchased a new Hyundai Genesis. Unfortunately, the car veered to the right which make driving difficult and dangerous. When I first brought the car in, the dealer denied a problem. When I returned shortly thereafter, they reluctantly agreed that the car lurched to the right. After a series of trips back and forth to the dealer, the tires were replaced, the alignment was redone, the electronics were revised and the problem persisted. After my 6th or 7th visit, I gave them the car and told them that I would not take it back till the problem was solved. They kept the car for months and were never able to sort it out. Meanwhile, I communicated with corporate Hyundai and they were rude. I finally invoked the lemon law and my money was returned (not the interest that I had been paying Hyundai as they held the loan on the car). Needless to say, whenever I see a Hyundai on the road, I think to myself what a poor sucker is driving that car. I will never buy a Hyundai again.

Key fob falls off a lot. Unlike other fobs the key does not fold out, it is an L-shaped key that slides right out of the fob when pressure is put on the small button which protrudes from the fob approximately 1/16 of an inch and releases the key. All other buttons are recessed. It has fallen off in my purse, in my pocket, on the floor of my car, while opening the door of my car, under my desk, off my keys as I picked them up off the seat, and I have even found it on the floor under my key hanger by the door. I recently took my car into Tuscaloosa Hyundai which is nearing the 60,000-mile original warranty and discovered that the new car warranties offered are limited. Did you know that the A/C system is only covered for one year? All of the systems in the car have different warranties so the 60,000-mile thing is just a scam. At 60,000 miles you are required to have certain services done for your so called million mile warranty to be valid and it is very costly. I assume that as you progress your mileage there will be more costly charges to continue your warranty. I just wanted to make the public aware that you are not getting a full bumper to bumper warranty. Whoever heard of a 1-year warranty on an A/C? On some systems, you have to pay for the parts while you are under warranty. This was never disclosed to me during my purchase of this vehicle. You can look the new car warranty up online and it says Limited new car warranty. I thought a warranty was a full warranty but this is not the case. My suggestion is buy a car with a real warranty, not a Hyundai.

I really loved driving my Hyundai Tiburon! Out of all of the cars on the lot, I liked it the best. I even recommend it to other people! It was a great car and made me like Hyundai as a car maker. I drove the car from Florida to Ohio and it ran beautifully the whole time! It was a small car and a standard transmission. It was great on gas and even though it was only a 4cyl. motor, it was very quick. However, I wish that the seat would have been more adjustable and that it would have gone up and down. I am a short person, so I had trouble seeing over the dashboard!

I bought a 2011 Hyundai Tucson about a year ago and was promised bells and whistles (which I knew in part werent true), but the one that appeared real was free maintenance for 3 years. To a single mom on a budget, that sounded spectacular. I even watched as the dealer and loan officer wrote down this promise multiple times, but when it came to signing my contract I did not double check to see if my free maintenance for 3 years promise had been recorded. When I called to make my regular service appointments, everything went smoothly at first. After about the third appointment, service fees started appearing and suddenly I was told by the service department that Hyundai never gives 100% free maintenance. Apparently, what was meant by my too good to be true deal was that free maintenance only means free oil changes and that is it. Everything else will cost you. Driving my Tucson is just fine, but being duped puts a sour taste in my mouth every time I step into my car. Im on the fence about buying from Hyundai again. No matter how much one tries not to get screwed over by dealers, it seems they always find another way to get you.

My experience with Hyundai is once again worst than the last. It is my 3rd disappointment with them and last, I just came out of a 3 year lease and decided I wanted to buy the car and instead of showing me my options through Hyundai Finance which I was leasing with they convinced me with lies about how being I didnt use the car much, I would have to pay more and convinced me to go with Chase auto loan, after a few days I called Hyundai Finance and the person on the phone told me, I should have bought through them which would have been close to 8k less, through Hyundai finance it would have ranged around 9k plus maybe 3k in taxes and instead now I will end up paying close to 18k.It is my 3rd and final deal with them, no one there is honest and they are out just to rob you, I should have gone with my gut and listened to my cousin and end my lease and bought through Carvana, I wish I knew the info I got from the person on the phone earlier but I thought I was dealing with honest people, anyways God bless them and everyone reading this and make sure you always ask all the right questions and if you have to take time or reschedule to review things before you commit to it or sign documents, do so, so you dont get trapped and tricked like I did.

This will be my LAST Hyundai. I will EVER buy. I just wish I have a bigger audience to advertise what a fraudulent auto company this is. You will NOT get this from Honda or Toyota. I got this vehicle (2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited) NEW. After 8 yrs of driving it, I lost the 10 yr/100,000 mile warranty because I just went beyond the 100,000. So on the last week of 2021, I nearly got stuck in the highway because the car would not accelerate and it was jerking all along. I quickly pull over to the side of the break down lane. My car was towed to the nearest Hyundai dealership that I can find. Due to a lot of people having trouble with their cars, the dealership told me I had to wait for 3 weeks before they have a chance to check my car. Then, I ask if they can give me a loaner car while this car is in service. This dealership like other Hyundai dealerships that I have worked with told me that they cannot.I read other feedbacks from people who gave their ratings here. I noticed there were many people with the same experience I had to go through with regards to a no loaner policy. I owned Honda in the past and no matter what condition my car is, Honda and its dealerships would NEVER let me go without a loaner. I even told the Hyundai dealership that I have an 80+ yr old parent I need to take care of and bring her to see the doctors often. I need a vehicle at all time but still, there is no luck. Now, i understand that maybe my vehicles issue is due to wear and tear. But still, if there is a RECALL, I would expect to get a loaner. NO way. no loaner even with recalls. And this vehicle had a TOTAL of 6 recalls! None of the recalls provided me with a loaner. What Hyundai asked is to have you save your receipts and ask for compensation in its online Hyundai USA system. DO NOT TRUST IT. Why? First, they tell you that they need 180 days to process it. Think about it.. 180 days to process a claim??? I submitted my rental in the past with everything including my receipts to them and you know what I got? After waiting for more than 180 days on one claim, I contact them. The lady on the other end told me the claim was denied and rejected. I said why? She just told me there was a mix up. But I personally did NOT EVEN get any notification of the rejection. Really, dont bother submitting a claim. You will not get a DIME from them. They will find every way to deny it even if it is a legitimate claim. if Hyundai has a No loaner policy, at least make the vehicles reliable. I have only 108,000 miles in my car. This auto company should be ashamed of themselves for making junks and unsafe vehicles for consumers and expect the consumer to pay for their mistakes. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH HYUNDAI. I dont understand why people here would give them a 4 or 5 star rating. Well, they shall know what I mean once they go beyond 100k miles in their vehicles. Perhaps they will regret that they praise this unprofessional company; and one last point if people do not know already, THIS IS NOT A JAPANESE COMPANY. This is a Korean company and it STILL has a reputation for making BAD CARS.

I am having a huge issue with the quality of service that I am receiving from Hyundai’s service department in Carlsbad. I had an issue with my car on Friday 10/5 around 730 am. I had the car brought to the service department at the dealership by AAA that morning. I received a call from the AAA driver that my car was dropped off at 815. I didn’t hear anything until 2pm from Ulysses that they received my car. He had a second to look at it and maybe it had just run out of gas. I explained that it was having issues prior & when the AAA guy jumped in it did turn on before bogging out so if they could do a diagnostic to the car just to make sure everything else was fine.He asked for my consent to put $20 worth of gas in it and then let me know if it turned on before doing the diagnostic. It has now been 5 days and I have not received one text or call. I called to get an update about the gas, but Ulysses had already left for the day. When I called today I was placed on hold for 13 mins before a rude receptionist told me Ulysses was out for the next two days and won’t be getting to my car. Is this what I can now normally expect from this location? Before moving out here I would take it to the dealership in Corona and they have always given me the best service, quick and communicated great with what was going on. I now feel slight nervous and used leaving my car at a dealer that is so unresponsive and upright rude every time I’ve called.

The engine light came back on after driving 10 miles and noise got worse, so I towed it to a Hyundai dealership. They said that the engine had noise from the bottom and top due to it not getting enough oil. They will charge me $5,500 for a rebuilt engine and install it. I bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata last year in April 2015. I bought it used with about 89k miles on it. Up until Sep. 25th 2016, the car has been working perfectly. But about a week before that date, I noticed how badly the car was burning up oil. I was putting a quart in it every week because it would read low. On the 24th, I was driving with my 1 year old in the car and all the sudden the car started making a clanking noise. Thank God I made it home that night because I wasnt sure if I would without the car breaking down. When I got home, I turned the car off and turned it back on and it just sounded terrible. Sounded as if the whole engine was falling apart. The next day, I knew I wasnt going to be able to drive it.I called Columbia Hyundai in Cincinnati and I took it there to the shop on the 28th. They discovered that my car was part of the motor recall for that model car and that my car needed a new engine. It is now Nov. 9th 2016 and my car still has not been fixed. Its been in the shop for 6 weeks now. They still have a car in their shop from July that hasnt gotten a motor. I just got off the phone with them and they said it will maybe be the 1st week of December when they start getting motors. Shouldnt they have started mass producing these motors knowing there was a recall on the engine for thousands of cars? Makes no sense to me. Thankfully, Hyundai is 100% paying for the new motor and the rental car I am using. However, I am still making a payment every month on a car I do not have and I have asked Hyundai to reimburse me for this and they refuse to do so. Not very satisfied with Hyundai right now.

On December 23, my Hyundai vehicle was repossessed. I was shocked! I double checked my online bank account and could not find any lapses in payments. I tried calling them on December 24 and of course no one was in. I kept trying and finally reached them on Dec 29. When I called them and they said their records show me 41 days late but could not give me the exact information on when I missed a payment. There was a bunch of double talk about how much principal and interest had been applied and they tried to avoid my direct questions such as when my payment is due, what my minimum payment amount was etc. This is no way to do business!!! Then they tell me in order to reinstate my loan, I have to pay $1038 plus repo fees, plus storage cost of the vehicle. Then she tells me that the repo lot only holds the car 2-5 days. That the car had already probably be sent to auction. They have violated my rights in so many ways. Just do yourself a favor and steer clear of Hyundai motor finance. The coil spring on the front driver side snapped, blew out my tire and Hyundai only has a recall on the 2011 Elantra. It is not normal for a vehicle with 59,000 km have this issue unless there was a factory defect. I cant stress enough the importance to have the coils checked and if there is an issue make a complaint to Hyundai Canada, Transport Canada and whichever consumer protection agency in your area. Im going to fight this one with Hyundai and post to every social media site possible. This is a very dangerous issue.

I purchased a Hyundai Genesis Coupe from Parkway Hyundai (Wilmington) in 2014. I was informed by the salesmen that offered me the extended warranty that I would receive coverage for 100,000 miles. Not up to 100,00 miles, but good for 100,000 miles. Huge difference, as the car had nearly 50k miles on it already when it was purchased. I made it very clear to the salesman that I needed coverage for 100k miles. I would have purchased a brand new car, not a used Hyundai with only 50k mile warranty if this had been explained to me correctly, and now the dealership is leaving me out to dry with a car that is not drivable, a higher car payment than what I would have had with a brand new car, (because the warranty is factored into it), and they are feeding me a load of BS.I do not recommend ANYONE, even my worst enemy to purchase from Parkway Hyundai, and also the salesman by the name of Mitchell was very distant to me after I purchased the car. I would drive all the way to Wilmington from out of town and stop by to get an oil change and he would give me blank stares and would not even greet me. What kind of customer service is that? To be nice to me long enough to sell me a car and then treat me like chopped liver after the deal is done. I let that slide because he is a younger guy, I am probably the first he ever sold a car to and he is probably long gone now if he treated someone else the same way, but yeah, I am done with Parkway Hyundai for good either way. They can forget me or anyone I know ever purchasing a vehicle from them ever again.

Weve leased two new Hyundais in a row and 7 new Hondas leased prior to the Hyundais, with no issues. Going back to Honda or Toyota. The most recent Hyundai was a 2016 Tucson limited, the AC never worked properly from day one. Shortly after the AC came on cool air would cease. This issue is documented on the Cas Complaints website. We had 3 miserable summers in the Deep South with this lemon Tucson. Three different dealers noted the problem. One kept the car 3 days and agreed that the car had a serious AC problem, but all said unless the diagnostic computer gave an error code there is no warranty. The first Hyundai was 2016 Santa Fe, which had a well documented steering issue when highway driving. Again no Hyundai warranty help. Guess we were suckers for leasing the second Hyundai, but the warranty is utterly worthless. If you have a problem, youre screwed!

Do not use this car dealership to buy a used car. I bought a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer. The car was used and I realized used cars have problems, but they knowingly reset the engine codes on this car to clear bad catalytic converter codes out of the car computer (there has to be laws against this). A couple days after I had purchased the car the check engine light came on. When I took it to a local dealership the dealer told me that with a reading that high the cars had to have been bad for quite some time. So the car was misrepresented to me during purchase. The car also had traction control light on and traction control not working, a problem with the accelerator (which could be the transmission I dont know yet) and a cracked windshield. The car also had 4 different kinds of tires on it, a couple had dry rot and didnt seem safe to me (consequently I replaced the tires first, they werent safe). The online listing didnt represent any of these details and neither did the dealer. I drove all the way from Dallas to Sherman to purchase the car. After spending the time to drive from Dallas to Sherman we got the sum total of about 10 words out of **. This is after he told us he would be available when we got there. Instead he worked with someone that was obviously buying a more expensive car. Dont buy a car from liars and cheats, stay away from this dealership. This dealership clearly should get out of the used car market, most new car dealerships stand behind the used cars they choose to sell on their lots and guarantee them. This dealership however does not fall into that category. You may be ok buying a new car here but I would strongly advise you to not buy a used car from them. They shouldnt be selling them. To top all of this off, they knew I was buying this car for a first time 17 year old female driver. Can you believe it, shame on them. I will fork out the money and fix what they should have. All I asked is they help cover the catalytic converter because they are at fault with this. I would have done the rest. But they refused so I am choosing to review them and let the consumer chose to use them or not based on my review. I hope you dont for your sake.

Mon, 10-14-19 hybrid system failure. Roadside assistance arranged for vehicle hauled to nearest dealership...one where we purchased it 11 mo prior in Montgomery AL, the dealership is 45 min drive from our house...Hard to reach ppl via ph for info re our car--during one call, informed us only 2 certified hybrid techs, both unfortunately had fam emergencies this week, had to leave early-- one day told us the electric water pump being replaced, another day told didnt need one. On Fri 10-11-19 the service advisor called to say it was ready, that the code for water pump was old, they cleared as per techline instructions then a driver (never found out who drove it the 53 mi since i was told the name would be on receipt but it wasnt...it was not a service tech or advisor, just a driver) Did not feel comfortable picking it up since nothing was fixed & expressed such to the advisor but was assured it was ok. Gut saying this not sound right, called Hyundai customer service and explained situation. Was told the info being sent to a case mgr who would be in touch in a couple of business days. Well, on Mon 10-14-19 the hybrid system failed. This time on a busy highway in morning traffic, thankfully able to make it off road and into business parking lot despite losing power. This time because of the location where it broke down, roadside assistance (who finally answered call after 33 min on hold) ordered it sent it to another dealership, this one in Bham AL. Because the case mgr had not made contact yet, called customer service again and rep confirmed that was right, our car had to go to Bham because according to present location thats nearest dealership, if not we would be responsible for paying. While waiting over an hour for the tow vehicle, called ahead to the dealerships service dept hoping to arrange for a loaner vehicle since this location is pretty far from my home. Customer service said couldnt do it for me, had to wait for case mgr- who was scheduled to call me the next day between 1 and 3pm...how does that help me now? (I did not get loaner while mine was in shop 5 days the week before.) Man at dealership said that they couldnt guarantee would have a car available. Floored to hear that, so next called dealership in Montgomery and explained what going on. After all, I was just there on Friday. They arranged to send someone to drive me down there for a loaner. I am grateful they agreed to give me a car and young woman who came for us was sweet, but I was shocked when she got a call from the service dept telling her to hand her cell phone to the tow driver...he confirmed my suspicion that they told him to take car down there, not Bham as roadside had ordered. I made it clear that I was not able to pay for it to go anywhere else, that 2 different persons from Hyundai said it had to go to Bham. He agreed to do as originally instructed. 2 1/2 hrs after placed call to roadside, car headed to dealership in Bham, we on way to Montgomery for loaner. (Driver was accommodating and stopped at Wendys as we requested to grab lunch.) Sonata hybrid system failed at 9:25 a.m., we finally made it back home at 2pm. Case mgr called Mon at 4:30p.m. She expressed that she was glad vehicle went to current location instead of former. Said she has better working relationship with this one. At this point were hopeful that it was all for the best...boy was that wrong! Tuesday 10-15-19 just past noon the advisor called to say scanned for codes, got same one as previous service dept but here they consulted techline and concluded the low voltage was due to a light being left on in the car, so after driving 18 mi with no issues they felt could be picked up by us. Absolutely floored at that explanation--so different from what we got from other dealership-- expressed felt even more uncomfortable driving off again without any repair done, esp after what happened the last time. It has already experienced the hybrid system failure 3x while were driving down the road at this point. Same code, totally different answers. Was told would check on it again first thing next morning and see how it does. At lunchtime Wed 10-16-19 advisor calls back to say car seems fine but he needs more info, cant find service record from Montgomery in the system. Sounds strange but we are nervous about this dangerous problem and want to get to the root cause. Not want get caught stranded on road again, so we volunteer to send copy of our invoice via email. Advisor calls back just a short time later to say he consulted with advisor in Montgomery AND the case mgr who agree electric water pump needs to be replaced. (Wow, were amazed he was able to get them both on phone in that short amount of time. But then again he works there... As a customer, calling and getting straight thru to someone is very rare. Usually have to leave message and sometimes takes days to get call back.) He says will order new pump, it wont come in until mid afternoon following day and we will need to be worked in to the schedule. So dont expect it to be ready until Mon. at earliest. Wanting to be certain this is the root of the problem, asked if that was what techline had now told him to do in order to fix it or did he just go by what other advisor said? (The first advisor had told us that if car had ended up back there again, they wouldve put one on...so, they were ok letting us drive a car that they mustve known had a good chance of shutting off on us going down the road again, then they would fix it?? So, what was that explanation about it being an old code??) Well, he replied he did not personally talk to techline. Makes us wonder why he would go off the advice from a dealership he had expressed little respect for previously? And why the case mgr would, either, especially seeing that she expressed same feelings toward them?? But he said thats the plan and to make us feel more comfortable that 3 ppl would test drive it before give back to us: him (advisor),a technician and the service mgr, even said one of them could drive it home so could spend more time with the vehicle. Hmm.. Well, later that afternoon the case manager called confirming this dealership will replace elect water pump and said Montgomery service mgr apologized for not doing so. She confirmed the part was being ordered today. She said should not expect car completed until possibly midweek...which we were fine with that time frame, even though longer than advisor had said would take, if it was going to be what needed to fix the problem. Now is where things took a strange turn. Not expecting part in at Bham dealership until Thursday afternoon 10-17-19, ironically got call from Montgomery service dept stating the car is ready. Wait, what???? Totally confused, asked if our vehicle was back in Montgomery?? No, it was not. Next, asked why is someone in Montogomery calling to tell us instead of the staff in Bham?? Well, thats still up in air... as to who contacted whom first or why they needed to in first place...your guess is as good as any. Each accused other and at this point our confidence level in either is gone. It was a very unprofessional event to be caught in the middle of. I called two times trying to reach service manager for Bham, first time got his vm, left message but no reply. After waiting a while, 2nd time called someone else answered the phone when asked operator for him. That individual put the advisor on line. It is very odd that Bham service advisor said Montgomery shouldnt have called me yet because its NOT ready. This despite the fact that Montgomery sent a screenshot, via text message, of an email Bham service mgr sent telling Montgomery the vehicle is ready. Wow, just wow...so I address this with the advisor, who explains that even though the service manager signed off on it, he-the advisor- is not done yet. This is totally confusing, so immediately called case manager, but she not answer, left her a message. Next day, Friday 10- 18-19 after advisor calls stating now car looks to be sound, we express that events of the previous day made us uncomfortable and not ready to get it, want to wait until discuss with case mgr. He says take your time. Wanting to verify what exactly was done , by whom and when, we try to contact case mgr again , but again have to leave message. Trying to call a different # for assistance was no help, was told being transferred and after 8 min on hold was disconnected. Over the weekend we received several emails inviting us to rate our experiences with the dealerships and case manager. So we did give ratings of dealerships, but replied to email about case manager that would rate her when shes finished with our case. (Hoped that would get a call returned sooner...so much for that) Did not hear back from her until Wed a.m. 10-23-19. So disappointed that the info she shared contradicted that from previous conversations. We made request for car to be returned to us, not feel safe driving if cant keep stories straight as to how fixed. Here is what we take issue with. 1) Says the ser mgr in bham called one in Montgomery to find out what was wrong with car, this is off because when he finally called today, Wed 10-23-19, stated that he was not familiar with the vehicle, needed to be clued in. 2) Now being told the pump was ordered on Mon evening 10-14-19, (recall, thats the day before the advisor said we could pick it up because left light on and its fine now). 3) She says service mgr told her car was ready Saturday (remember the fiasco on Thursday the 17th, the email he sent replying the car is ready? Same day tried calling her but no response). So, who are we supposed to believe at this point??? She asks what we want from Hyundai? First time asked that was on first call way back on 14th, told her want car fixed correctly. Not convinced that happened. Techline was referenced several times but weve been told we cant be given any contact info for them so we can verify our car care was handled in most appropriate manner...we want any info techline got from either dealership and what info they related to them. Customer service says we can and should get a second opinion of not happy, but we have to pay for it. Our request is that they return our vehicle back to us, so we can do just that. We asked for it to be towed back, but they refused. We are not confident in the service provided at this point, would hate if mishandled and it ends up shutting down again on the road. Advisor says he confident enough to drive it back to us, but not enough employees avail for one to drive him back to dealership. Ser mgr says needs to think outside the box with our request...it would make other customers jealous if did for us and cant for them.... That was the last weve heard from anyone about it...That was on Wed 10-23-19 when told going to discuss with general mgr of dealership and get back with us... Reached out to general mgr of Montgomery dealership who replied to our online reviews, but he has not return our call either.

I have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata and Ive taken my car to a Hyundai dealership over 6 times. My car started stalling and just shutting down while driving it. Lights in the dash start lighting up and my back lights work sometimes. I keep buying headlights and brake lights. Right today my car is fixed because the dealership said they couldnt find anything wrong with my car. They gave me a loaner car and kept my car for about a month but did nothing to it. I also complained to them that my valves was tapping, but they said its how the car suppose to sound. Its just so much going on with my car but Hyundai dealership dont care about the customers. My 2006 Hyundai Elantra gave out suddenly with no warning light/sign on my way from Atlanta, GA to Nashville, TN. The radiator had bursted, blowing out all the stored coolant, and caused some engine damage. The car have been lightly driven with only 34K mileage and engine was clearly under Hyundais 10-yr warranty. We had it towed 100 mileages to the nearest dealership. However, Hyundai corporate has flat out denied our engine warranty claim because the radiator was out of warranty and that we had done our maintenance at a local NTB instead of their dealership. In other words, their 10-yr warranty is just a big fat lie because their claimed defect component contains nothing but the engine itself, which almost never gives out at its own. It is unbelievable an engine could give out at such early mileage. They also broke a federal rule and denied my claim just because I had my service done at another service shop. The entire process was full of bad customer service. My family and I were constantly hang up on that we have to rotate the calling. Representatives were rude and apathetic toward our situation. This is honestly the worst company we had to deal with out of my life!

I have purchased 3 new Hyundais in the last 4 1/2 years. I would consider myself a loyal customer. On 8/19/18 I stopped at Jenkins Hyundai in Ocala, FL. to purchase my 4th Hyundai in 4 1/2 years. I had with me the internet information on the SUV I was going to purchase. Listed below plus the window sticker posted on their website.Detailed Pricing. Stock # : Y5005 / VIN : KM8J33A21JU683376. $30,800MSRP. $1,000Savings. $29,800 No-Haggle Price. $2,500 Hyundai Offer. $500 Hyundai Offer. $26,800 Final Price. $500 Conditional Offer. $500 Conditional Offer. $400 Conditional Offer. When I sat down to purchase the SUV I was told the price was just a little over $35,800 because of the added dealer extras. This information wasnt listed on the website (as you can see above). I came to the dealership to negotiate the price listed above $26,800 and was told I could purchase the SUV for $32,800 plus tags, taxes and a dealer prep fee of $899.00. As you can see above $26,800 Final Price. Only a fool would fall for this scam!I ask why they didnt list the $35,800 on the internet and their answer was we dont have to. This is totally dishonest! In doing some more research on the SUV and cars on the Jenkins lot I discovered most if not all are priced this way and are not listed on the website. They are all similar to the deal I was served up. The bottom line is that the website price is a scam to get you to the dealership so they can rip you off. This was a horrible experience. At previous dealerships when purchasing a Hyundai I was treated with respect and they negotiated in GOOD FAITH! You should be ashamed for having a crooked dealerships like this one!

After having a HORRIBLE experience with the Hyundai of North Charleston Dealership in North Charleston, SC (See my review there also) my car was fixed after 3 WEEKS and I was left without having any vehicle for work. I am in sales and work in the field where an automobile is a NECESSITY! Thats why I bought NEW for dependability! My car was still under warranty and only needed a battery & starter (this took 3 weeks). I only had 39k miles.Hyundai customer care REFUSED to pay for a rental car for me and the dealership said NO loaners were available. I was only able to rent a car for 2 days and submitted paperwork for reimbursement and was only offered $150 for the rental when I had to pay almost $300 for the rental for 2 days on an economy size car! Hyundai would not even offer the FULL amount for my 2 DAY RENTAL! Wow! I was told that if I rented a car...Hyundai would reimburse me and turns out this was another MAJOR Letdown from this whole Hyundai ordeal! Its a very good thing (only 1 out of this whole story) that I was not able to rent a car for the 3 weeks...because I would have not gotten ALL my $$ back which would have been a DOUBLE loss of money $$ for me being out of work for 3 weeks AND not having received a FULL Rental car reimbursement! I totally feel disrespected and was treated like my business was of VERY LITTLE VALUE to them. This was my 2nd Hyundai purchase...but after this ordeal...I am DONE with Hyundai...the corporate office seems to be WORST than this dealership! Hello my name is Johnny **, I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. On October 15th my vehicle turned off while driving, I had the vehicle towed to Sport Hyundai in Egg Harbor Township, service guys there are great, anyway the vehicles engine I was told needed to be replaced, I was sent to Enterprise car rental office in Pleasantville NJ then I found out that Hyundai is only paying $25 towards my rental and I had to pay $18 difference a day, I just feel that if the vehicles engine was defective or recalled I should not be paying for anything, so I sent an email to Hyundai explaining my situation. They said that unfortunately there is nothing that they can do. I was thinking of trading my car in before all this happened and get a new Hyundai but after this experience I wouldn’t do it and will encourage anyone I know not to invest in Hyundai at all.

Hyundai in Newman, Ga was the worst experience ever buying a car. I was paying cash. Of course they talked me into the tech pkg and took me $2500 over budget. I was told to just finance that amount. Ok, fine, I said because I knew it would be paid off before the first payment was due. Well they didn’t like that and came back and said they couldn’t finance anything under $5000. Ok, still going to have it paid off quickly. Then they came back and said they wouldn’t finance anything under $7500. I had only taken one check with me. It’s a 4 hour drive. I told the guy that and he said to go get another check. I was walking away when my husband decided he was sick of this to find a bank up there and do it. After all this, it turns out the car I ended up with did NOT even have the tech pkg.I have never been so disgusted with a dealership ever! I will NEVER purchase another Hyundai again. Just not worth it. I hate having to see my car. They ruined what should have been an easy sale. By the way, the car was paid off within a month and they made a grand total $41. in finance charges. DO NOT BUY A PALISADE!!! We’ve had our Palisade for four months. We love the features and ride but had it back to the dealership five times because of excessive winds noise at highway speeds (> 50 mph) noticeable in the front seats. The dealership pressure tested the cabin, replaced door seals, and checked door alignment. Finally, they removed the side view mirrors and determined the whistling sound is wind turbulence from the mirrors after a test drive. The dealership has been great but Hyundai refuses to acknowledge the issue. We opened a case with Hyundai but their case manager said there is no design flaws so there is nothing they can do. I purchased a 2014 Hyundai Tucson Limited in April 2014. At that time I was pleased with it and the Blue Link App. I was happy with the dealership, Hyundai of Huntsville TX. The BLUE LINK features for the Remote and Guidance expire after 3 mos so you have to purchase what you want to keep...$99 a year for each!! Most autos have these features indefinitely for free.I purchased the REMOTE package as I dont need the GUIDANCE. As soon as I purchased the package, many of the features I enjoyed under the REMOTE no longer worked...i.e., the Valet alert and to be able to turn it off and on through the app on my phone and also the GEO fence alert. It no longer sends me text messages either. If I am in a restaurant, I want to be able to set the valet alert from the app on my phone if I forget to set it before getting out of the car. If Im away from home and my car is at home, I want to be able to set the GEO fence through the app like I used to before the GUIDANCE pkg was removed.HYUNDAI BLUE LINK has UPDATED AND IMPROVED an app that no longer works the way it did when I paid for it. I have gotten no satisfaction through multiple calls and emails. I paid for a service from HYUNDAI that I no longer receive because the TECH SUPPORT is worthless and they cannot put the app back the way it was to include the features I paid for.I proved to them that when they took the GUIDANCE package off that I no longer wanted, that it also took away the features that I am speaking about. Unless you KEEP AND PAY FOR THE GUIDANCE, you dont get the feature of turning the VALET and GEO off through the phone app. ALSO THE TEXT ALERTS DO NOT WORK FOR IT!! WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO CHECK MY EMAIL TO SEE IF MY CAR HAS BEEN MOVED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!! I think HYUNDAI needs to make things right and get the app back where it was when I paid for it or give me some sort of compensation....like leave the GUIDANCE AND REMOTE ON MY CAR FREE FOR THE LIFETIME I HAVE THE VEHICLE. My husband has the same features on his Chrysler Town and Country....doesnt have to pay extra for even the LIFETIME MAPS and his actually works like it supposed to without all the extra hassle. Needless to say, I wont be buying another HYUNDAI and will be telling others about the issues I have.

When we first got our leases in 2016, we tried to set up auto withdrawal. My wife tried to set up auto pay and was told it was $30 a month. I told her she was wrong only to find out she wasnt. So my company chose to pay it. At the end of the lease we started to receive nasty messages saying we were behind on our payments. It turns out that Hyundai ceases auto withdrawal within two months of the lease end as standard procedure. Now that would be nice to know! So I had to make the payment and Western Union fee, who uses Western Union? No credit cards allowed. So I return the car to the dealer, but I still get bills in the mail. Call them again and they say I owe two payments. How can that be? I had already turned in the car! Turns out that the maturity date was the 18th and that was the date that I turned it in. OK so whats the problem? According to them the day that you turn in the car is the day before it matures and if you wait till the day that it matures, then you pay the next months payment! So its not a huge amount of money but Ill never use them again.

So on 12/14/11 we went with hesitation for oil changes. For the past year we were taking our cars to Meineke for maintenance since they guarantee their work and are a lot cheaper. Never fail, this time they claimed I needed 2 new tires, and hubbys car needed new brakes at $1159.00. We told them to just do the oil changes. After we picked up our cars my husband’s car just broke down after 3 blocks. We called them and got it towed back to the dealer which I thought was covered, but turns out it was our expense also. They claim it was the fuel pump. We had no choice but to let them fix it or tow it somewhere else. They still got us for $750.00. We wonder if they shorted something because we werent going to let them do the brakes for $1159.00. As of today 12/26/11 we still owe 2 more years payments and are very worried what else is going to happen to these cheap quality vehicles. We have dealt with Chevrolet and Toyota and never had a problem with the quality or felt like we were being ripped off royally. Hyundai constantly sends us offers to trade in our cars and we were seriously thinking about it. Now we just wish we could give the cars back and go somewhere else. We cant believe this is happening before we even have them paid off. We wish we could use the lemon law to help us. We will tell anyone who asks not to buy a Hyundai. Buying a Hyundai is like going to the 99 cent store for cars. You get what you pay for.

In 2010 I leased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I had previously purchased a Hyundai and had decided to stay with the company because I feel customer loyalty goes a long way. In 2013 my lease was up, and I loved my first Sonata so much that I decided to lease another one! I went in a month before the lease ended to shop around. The sales person convinced me to participate in the pull ahead program. This program lets you terminate the lease early as long as you sign another lease. I was excited to be in a new car a month before I originally thought I would be! Although they didnt have exactly what I wanted, I left with a new lease that day. Fast forward to today, and Im still dealing with calls from debt collectors/Hyundais corporate office saying I owe payment for the last month on my previously leased car. Despite reassurance from the local dealership that I dont owe anything, the calls continue to come. Not only to my cell, but also to my work (Im an ICU RN). Getting notifications from my coworkers that I have a phone call from a debt collector is not only embarrassing and untrue, but it is distracting from my job! This whole ordeal has made it look like I dont pay my bills, bringing my character into question among my coworkers. Not to mention the stress it has caused my husband and I. We have spent so much of our time worrying about the possibility of this royal screw up by Hyundai ultimately affecting our credit, which we work very hard to keep in excellent standing. Im so frustrated with this that I just want to be done with Hyundai completely, but they refuse to work with me to get me out of my current lease! As much as I love my car I dont agree with the way they do business, and I feel taken advantage of and trapped. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!

My husband was in a serious automobile accident and passed away because of the injuries in October. He leased a Genesis and the lease was up in October. When I turned in the car I ended up owing over 2500 because of mileage overage fees. I had wrote the CEO of Hyundai and the President of Hyundai finance to waive the fees. We incurred the overage charges because we had to go see my critically injured husband in the hospital and drove over 100 miles each day. They would not waive the fees and submitted the fees to collection which lowered my credit score. I have incurred medical expenses due to my husband death and had to sell my home. I am unable to get an apartment thanks to Hyundai. My credit score was lowered and I did not qualify. I did pay this bill in full and I still had my credit score lowered. I will never buy another Hyundai again. My husband and I did love our cars but I was just blown away with how heartless these people are. We have leased two cars from Hyundai and I bought my car. They clearly got quite a bit of money from us already but they did not have the heart to help out a widow who had medical bills and is just trying to survive. In fact I am trying to figure out where I am going to live right now. I had a friend who also lost her husband and the car dealer waived the overage fees. It was not Hyundai. I wish I bought my car from another dealership. Heartless, Heartless, Heartless and Greedy.

I took out a 2 year lease on a Hyundai Tucson. It was extended to 3 years because of lockdown. The contract mileage was 10000/pa but I returned the car with less than 20000 on the clock. No consideration was given for the reduced mileage. A lot of my friends leased vehicles with other companies but were given discounts for their reduced mileage. This was the only company that I have used who have not made allowances for this. It is the last time that I will ever use them again. Its a shame as I loved the car!!!

I leased a car for 3 years. According to the sales person, he told me that the service on the car would be included during the lease period but that wasn’t the case. It seems that he just said those things to make a sell since he was being very pushy from the start. The worst part is that he never disclaimed that by the end of the lease, I would be charged $500 plus $170 for some minor scratches that can occur during a 3 year period. When I returned the vehicle they basically force you to keep making business with them by leasing or buying a new car and that’s the only way they can forgive that $500 fee. When I called to claim, they told me that the contract is not with the dealer but with the company; even though it was signed at the dealer. They also don’t accommodate payment arrangements. Before leasing a car with companies like this, do some research and find what is convenient for you. Instead of dealing with a seller who would say anything just to get his commission and take advantage of you, if you don’t have experience in the subject.

April of 2016 my vehicle was making a loud knocking noise then finally cut off. I had AAA to tow it to my mechanics which he stated that I was having engine problems. I then towed it to Hyundai dealership and they informed me that I would need a new engine. They gave me the runaround saying that I had to come up with documentation showing that I had been getting oil changes. I asked how many do they need and they informed me that I need to come up with as many as possible, and that I wouldnt be able to receive a rental car until I was approved. Two weeks after having my vehicle I called and they told me that I was approved for a rental. On a regular basis (at least twice a week} I called to get an update with my car. All that I could get from the conversation was, Just keep driving the rental until I tell you to stop. I was given a Nissan Frontier, which was a nice truck but mpg 19 city / 23 highway which we all know that Hyundai 28 city / 36 highway. So it was killing me in gas because I drive 1 hour and 30 to and from work.So I took it back after having it for a little over 2 months and got a Kia Optima for maybe 5 days then my car was ready. I was called at 1:30 and was told that I had to pick my car up that same day, which put me in an inconvenience because I was scheduled to work a late shift and there was no preparation for that. Hyundai informed me that the billing for the rental car ended that day and after that I would be responsible. That put me in a bind because I had to get off work and drive hour and a half to pick up my vehicle. They had my vehicle from April to June. Two days after my vehicle was returned to me my check engine light came on. I took my vehicle back to Hyundai to find out if it was related to the engine block and I was told that it was the high pressure fuel pump $748, transmission sensor $710, and clock spring $398. I was charged $99.95 to do this diagnostic testing. Of course I dont have this kind of money so I declined other than paying for the diagnostic testing. In August I starting experiencing shaking and popping in my steering wheel, so again, I took it to Hyundai to find out the problem and at this time I was told that it was the steering coupler $404. All of this in one year. This car is a lemon and something needs to be done about this. It makes no sense to have to pay for the car and $2260 worth of repairs all in 2 months time. Personally I think everyone that owns one of these vehicle should get a refund.

I had problems with my vanity mirror on the passenger side, and the service manager of Doral Hyundai denied service, telling me it was the consequence of the normal use of the car. In reality, Hyundai advertises 60,000 miles and 5-year bumper to bumper. My 2008 Sonata was purchased in October 2007, and the odometer shows less than 23000 miles. I called the service attendants in headquarters, and they agreed with the service manager. This is a violation of the warranty, and Hyundai is lying in advertising the ten-year warranty, especially the 5-year bumper to bumper. If this response stands, every claim for service after one year can be considered product or the proper use of the car. If a compromise is not reached, I will never again consider Hyundai an option to buy a car.

The staff doesnt listen to a word you say, they just repeat their demands over and over until you get so frustrated you have to hang up and compose yourself. I was notified after I bought the car that all they give you is a can of spare tire. They do not even have a spare tire kit that you can buy until the end of this summer. The only thing I can buy is a new rim that fits and costs anywhere from $377.00 to $477.00, and thats without the tire. I drive a handicapped person, and this is very unacceptable, especially if something happens that cannot be fixed by spraying spare tire into it. Like I said, I was not told when I bought this car that there was no spare; or I would not have purchased it. I have dealt with Consumer Affairs at Hyundai and got no satisfaction whatsoever. I mentioned that if I was told there was no spare and I would not buy the car for that reason, they would have gone out of their way to give me one. This is very frustrating, since I cant even purchase one because there is no kit designed. I have already taken all their surveys before this was brought to my attention. But I would have told them what I really feel, if I had known. They seem to care, until you have an issue.

We purchased our 2006 Sante Fe from MJ Sullivan in New London, CT in June 2006. It has the 6 cyl engine with AWD. I just passed the 120,000-mile mark and this car is running like a champ. It is an everyday vehicle and we use it for all driving trips. I had to replace the tires at 95,000 miles because of a puncture in the sidewall (the tires still had about 1/3 the depth of a penny for tread), the brakes at 90,000 (the pads were making a slight scraping sound on the rotors) and the timing belt at 105,000 miles (my mechanic showed me the belt and said it would have lasted another 25,000 miles). We couldnt be more pleased with our car and Hyundai, and we are now purchasing a Hyundai Elantra Limited for my wife. We have never had any major problem with the car and have performed only routine maintenance for the past 6 1/2 years.

I am at this point, a thoroughly dissatisfied customer with Hyundai. I leased this Hyundai 2016 Plug In Hybrid car from Hyundai in 2016 Feb and had a very good experience with the car all this while. I had been using the car for my 70 mile daily commute and loved the car. Then on May 18th, my car had problems - it refused to start in my office parking lot. I called the Hyundai dealership and they told me to get the car towed in so they can take a look. The car was brought in to the Hyundai service center. 3 days later, the diagnosis was that the hybrid battery needs to be replaced. The service technician expected to get the replacement battery in 5 days. 5 days later, no updates. I kept following up for the next 3 weeks, and still no updates. I finally escalated the matter to their consumer affairs department. They took two weeks to investigate, and came back with an offer to pay me a compensation amount, while I waited for the car to get fixed. The update they gave me then was that the car will be fixed by July 15th. By July 15th, they had no actual progress! And now, the latest update is that they will fix the car by August 21st! I am really disappointed that Hyundai has shown no interest in getting this fix expedited despite the fact that its already 2 months plus. A one year old car, in warranty, is just sitting idle in the service shop, waiting for a critical part! I have sworn off Hyundai for my life and would never recommend anyone to buy another Hyundai car ever again!!!

I have a 2010 Hyundai Entourage. I purchased this vehicle thinking it would be a reliable vehicle in July 2017. It had only 125,000 kms and was in great condition. So far I havent been exactly thrilled with reliability. But my impression changed today when I went into Hyundai dealership to order new a/c-heater control panel since my button for fan speed has broken. I was told there was one available but at a stupendous price of $900.00. I pretty gagged when they told me this. I was expecting $200.00-$300.00 which is till expensive but at least tolerable. After this experience, I will never buy another Hyundai vehicle because replacement parts are sold at a totally rip off price. $900.00 for a piece of electronic that simply controls heat and fan speeds. It doesnt even have automatic temperature control on this unit.

We were prepared to pay cash for the car on 12/31/11, but we were told that we would get $500 more off the car if we financed and then we could pay it off. So before we received the coupon book, we sent in an estimated amount for the purchase price plus estimated interest. The next month we received a bill for $11.23 for the difference of additional finance charges which we paid. For the past week, the autodial collection people have called us at least 15 times (over 5 times on 3/26), looking for the monthly payment of $839. Finally, my husband was on hold for over 20 minutes waiting to speak to a supervisor who said our account was paid in full. We have continued to get calls since then for the same thing. On 3/37, we got 2 more calls. I am not that happy with the car to begin with. The gas mileage is way under what was represented. After the experience with the finance people, I will never buy another Hyundai. Also, the phone representatives were rude and the auto-dialer put us on hold several times after we answered the phone. I bought a Hyundai I20 from Hyundai Culemborg - Cape Town. I took delivery on 30 July 2011.There was a noise coming from the steering and I informed the dealer. The noise got worse as I drove the vehicle.I was told to take my car to another dealer and they told me to take it back to Culemborg to sort out. I was then told to book my car into Milnerton, Cape town, which was inconvenient for me.Something was only done when I took my car into the dealer on Saturday, 10 September and asked for the manager.Eventually, my car was collected on 14 September. I was told it would take a day to sort out.I was then called on 10 September to say the part will only be arriving on 26 September and I would get my car by the 26 or 27 of September.I was offered a replacement car to use in the meantime, but an automatic was delivered. I do not drive automatic so I asked for a replacement which was brought to me.The two left hand doors dont line up either.Surely, a new car should not have these problems. These cars should be checked before arriving at the dealers, and clearly, this vehicle has not been checked correctly.I am paying a lot of money for a new car, which does not seem new. A new car should not need to have a part replaced! I am very dissatisfied with the entire experience of buying a new car at Hyundai. I requested a new car and was told I would not get one.I will be taking this matter further.

I bought my 2011 Sonata SE in April 2010. At about 55K the automatic transmission began shifting harshly. Within about 2 weeks the shifting had become a hard bang and the car was undriveable. The dealer spent three days diagnosing it but were not able to determine the cause. The manufacturer authorized them to replace the transmission. Over the months that followed, usually at highway speeds, the vehicle routinely surged in RPM from 2000 to 5500, but did not surge in speed. Two weeks ago, at 91K, the vehicle began to experience very delayed shifting from 1st/2nd and 2nd/3rd, surging in RPM before each shift so that when the shift occurred the vehicle speed increased excessively creating a jack rabbit start. This week while driving at highway speed the transmission jolted dramatically, the speed dropped, and the RPMs rose. I figured it had gone into limp-home mode. I parked the car, verified that it was in 4th (by placing it in the manual shift position), and called the dealership. I let the vehicle sit for a couple of hours and found that it drove normally. I took it to the dealership where they pulled codes which indicated an incorrect setting for gear ratio at 6th gear. This seemed odd to me since thats all electronically/programmatically determined, and it made me wonder if they had downloaded the most current transmission control module program when they installed the second transmission. They are now installing the third transmission under the 100K Powertrain warranty. I have not yet been notified to pick up the car.I am very concerned for several reasons: (1) The erratic transmission behavior has me afraid to drive the car, especially at highway speeds. (2) I am very concerned that sometime in the next 35K to 55K Im going to have to replace the transmission - and that it may fail due to not being properly programmed or installed. I have not yet heard back from Hyundai Consumer Affairs.

I bought a used 2010 Hyundai Accent with 31,000 miles from a Columbus used car lot. I wanted to get the car certified so that I could reinstate the 100,000/10 year powertrain warranty. I called the Hyundai corporate headquarters in Arizona, and was told by a long-time, highly experienced customer service rep that all I had to do was take the car to any Hyundai dealership, pay a fee, and they would perform the 150-point inspection required to certify me car. I made it abundantly clear that the car was not bought from a Hyundai dealership. I called four different Hyundai dealerships in Columbus/Newark, Ohio and spoke with an unparalleled collection of rude and ignorant idiots, who all provided different interpretations of the Hyundai warranty, although all sold that brand for a living. Four hours later, I received a frantic call from a young man who identified himself as a Hyundai Case Manager. Apparently he had reviewed the voice tape of my conversation with the corporate customer service rep, and was calling to tell me that the rep did not understand the pre-certification procedure, and that Hyundai could not and would not certify my vehicle. Next I called the Hyundai dealership in Heath, OH about repairing a plastic bumper cover that had already cracked in the bitter cold we have been experiencing (in my garage). I was told very rudely that the Hyundai Bumper-to-Bumper warranty does not include bumpers!! I have had the car three weeks, and this is my experience with Hyundai. By the way, this is a car that was rated at 40 miles/gallon highway in 2010 which, after testing, was shown to get 32 mpg at best. NEVER DEAL WITH HYUNDAI.

Incident: vehicle (2016 Genesis 3.8 AWD) completely lost throttle power in the MIDDLE of a busy road. Fortunately no property or personal damage occurred. Car was towed and ALL rentals from local dealers were out secondary to Sonata recalls. Defects were found to be throttle body and actuator. Reason for the complaint: 1. Vehicle was purchased brand new, less than 40K and 3 year old vehicle shouldnt have such a defect. 2. Since all local rentals are out, Hyundai/Genesis did not take the initiatives to offer customer with an alternatives and follow ups are very slow and ineffective. My husband is a full time Uber driver & his income is extremely important for us because with my part time job we can’t afford to pay the our bills. Everything was quite good since he drove Hyundai Ioniq hybrid 2017 which helped us a lot to spend less on fuel but one day suddenly the car stopped without any warning sign and the Hyundai Kitchener towed it and we were advised that it’s a recall for Hybrid system so we thought it will take a week or two but omg it has been 4 months we didn’t get our car back! Since this car was everything for us and my husband couldn’t do Uber with a rental car it has been 4 minutes we lost the income. He called thousand times for help & complain about the service to Hyundai Canada but they didn’t give a **, instead we were insulted that you should know the rules. We can’t do anything! We talked with a lawyer to sue the company for the income loss but the lawyer said these giant companies are protected by law we can’t help you. Seriously??We bought this brand new car so expensive to face this day? We are facing a lot of problems and the loss of income for four months for a middle class family is the worst thing.. I’m writing this only to inform you people be very careful before purchasing any car from Hyundai, they don’t value their customers and treat you like **.. now I’m not gonna stop this complain and will even call some tv channels to show the reality of this company because the money we bought this car that was our ten years saving and lost everything. While driving at 70 miles an hour on I-87 using cruise control, the car jerked, check engine light came on and the car completely stopped accelerating. There was no response when pressing the gas pedal. Luckily, we were near an exit. We were not rear ended by a truck and were able shift lanes and to roll off and put our hazard lights on. On the exit, the car came to a dead stop. After checking the engine, we turned it off and the car started back up. And we were able to drive to a local service station concerned about driving any farther. The mechanic was able to determine there was an error code related to the throttle control. On restarting the car, the engine lights reset and the car ran normally. We continued on our trip. When we returned home, we brought the car to the Hyundai dealer where it was purchased to service the car. After they examined the car, we were told there was nothing they could do as there were no error codes in memory. They said that we should continue to drive it until it happened again. When I mentioned that there was a technical service bulletin regarding the throttle sensor and it should be either replaced or tested, I was told that they could not do anything until an error was recorded in the memory of the computer. It was because Hyundai USA would not cover anything under warranty, even though this was a serious safety concern and would most likely to occur again. When I asked if it was likely to occur again, I was told most likely it would happen soon and to be careful.A month later, when traveling on a long trip, it happened again on the Taconic State Parkway in New York. I was traveling at about 65 miles per hour. This time there was no shoulder. But I was able to partially pull off the road and put on my hazard lights as cars drove by and avoided hitting mine. Based on my prior experience, I turned the car off and was able to restart and move again. This same situation occurred four (4) more times as I was able to get my car finally back home to the Hyundai dealer to service the car.The Hyundai dealer replaced both the throttle sensor and the pedal assembly. The car appears to be working properly for the last two weeks. Having researched the problem with acceleration, I have learned that many others have experienced this similar and potentially dangerous problem. After speaking with other Hyundai service technicians, I was told off the record that this was not an uncommon problem. As the sensor is less than $85, I am not sure why Hyundai did not address this problem when I first brought the car or as a recall. The consequences could be much more serious.
