I have an 06 GTI that I bought used. I also had ice build-up in the doors and from online research, this is a known problem. I have gone round and round with customer care but no help. They say its because of the age of my car and being 4 years out of warranty. I replied that warranty or no warranty this is a design flaw and should be covered by VW. Now, my trade-in value is decreased because of this issue. They dont stand behind their product and apparently, dont care about losing customers.

The axel on our 2018 7 passenger Volkswagen Atlas broke 19 days after driving it off of the lot. Took the car back to the dealer and they deemed the Atlas unsafe to drive. This is extremely alarming considering had we been on the road with our 3 small children, this situation could have been very bad. The service department at Stone Mountain Volkswagen was very understanding and set an expectation of 2-3 weeks to repair. They put us in a loaner vehicle a Volkswagen CC. Which was all they had at the time. We could barely fit into the car and the car had no trunk space. The whole reason for wanting the Atlas was for the space and we thought it was a safe vehicle for our family. We dealt with the length of time it would take to fix because we actually thought our car was getting repaired. At exactly 3 weeks after taking the vehicle back my husband and I called to find out what was going on as we heard nothing in regards to the Atlas being repaired. We were told at that time that the dealership was still looking to get the part. At that time they said that it would be another 3-4 weeks. Which at this point we were pretty frustrated and disappointed. We are paying for a vehicle that we cannot even drive, and the dealer has had it longer than we have. We also found out, at the 30 day mark, from the dealership that the company that makes the part had no ETA on when the part would be ready. At this point we were upset. Felt like Volkswagen did not care about a client who is paying for a SUV while driving a car that can barely fit your family. Also upset because during this time nobody proactively reached out to inform us of the situation. We also called Volkswagen Customer Care several times in regards to this and got the same answer, Im sorry but no resolution until one rep named Ryan (thanks Ryan) decided to escalate it to a Region Manager. The manager made calls to my husband while he was at work, when he was able to call back the manager did not answer. He left voicemails for her to call back. She never did. She then called to notify us that the case would be transferred to Retention Resolution Team. We havent heard from them yet. We also called Volkswagen Group of America Corporate Department and we were transferred to the TDI Escalation Department, in which we had to leave another message. After the 30 days passed we overnighted the Vehicle Repurchase or Replacement Request to an address that we received from another Volkswagen Customer Care representative to have the car replaced, which is within our right under Georgia Lemon Laws. Yesterday the Dealership called and said the part would be ready next week. They called back today and said the vehicle was fixed and that we should come get it. This is very suspicious as we do not want a rush job because we do not want to be right back in this situation and if it was this easy of a fix then why was it not done in a reasonable timeframe. It is also suspicious that now something is being done because it seems like they do not want to give us a complete new car, which to my understanding is required by law. This has been a very unpleasant experience, and we never had this problem with our Volkswagen Jetta.

I leased a 2009 Audi on 4/11/09. Now that the lease is up, I am looking at other cars. I called to get a pay-off, and was quoted the residual of $23,518.00. When the dealer called for the pay-off, they were told it was $33,043.00, and that was the fair market value. This is for a 2009 car with 58,000 miles on it, and the book value is $24,000.00.

Have a 2012 Volkswagen CC that needs 7200.00 worth of engine work on a part that broke before it was even due to be inspected based on Volkswagen’s service maintenance guide. Called Volkswagen to see if they would cover the repair, or at least give me some kind of assistance. They basically said my warranty was up, I’m on my own. Which really surprised me. My reasoning for asking Volkswagen to make an attempt to correct this problem, was that their service maintenance guide said, “90,000 miles, timing chain and tensler should be inspected, and possibly replaced. Well my timing chain, and tensler did not make it to the 90,000 mile inspection. Which in turn destroyed my cylinder head when it broke. Leaving me with a 7,200.00 repair bill. BUYER BEWARE!!! VOLKSWAGEN CARES NOTHING ABOUT BEING FAIR, HONEST, OR TAKING CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. If youre looking for a car, spend your money elsewhere.

What car only lasts 87k miles that was built in 2015? This VW Golf, and it has also had multiple issues where it leaked coolant and had to be repaired twice outside of warranty. Now the engine has failed and VWOA has left me high and dry. I will not be purchasing another VW, they have lost me as a customer. I drive 30k miles a year and purchase cars often. This is unacceptable, once I fork out more money to VW for this last repair I will be trading it in never to return.

Status of claim says received reviewed and processed. Called CS - getting runaround. They dont have any answers. Kid on phone, supervisors talking in background tell them non truth about results. Someone needs to look into this situation asap. This is fraudulent because the court settlement is over. Should be able to bring car in for buyback.

2011 Golf GTI with 110,000 miles. Entire intake replaced at 96,000 miles. Known issue with VW. Customer care refused to help. Now, at 110,000 miles, the hydraulic timing chain tensioner slipped causing the need to completely replace the engine for approx. $5,500. VW customer care, again did nothing. Just a heads-up to anyone interested in a Volkswagen group product, these engines are in many vehicles and have major issues.

I live in Oregon and its Nov 2014 and my Beetle has been leaking inside the cabin behind the drivers seat for over a month. I took it to the Herzog-Meier VW dealer shop and paid $581 for the repair. They said it was the seal of the 3rd break light that was broken. After the repair I paid for inside car detail to get rid of the mildew. Now 3 weeks later I have a pond behind the seat again. Have I been tricked? I Googled for VW beetle water leak and I find all sort of engineering problems with sunroof and windshield drains related to this vehicle and I recall. Who owns informing consumers? Isnt the dealer supposed to know? The mildew is getting me sick and I rely on this vehicle.

Bought a brand new Volkswagen Beetle two months ago from West Cape Volkswagen. It was delivered with a fault on the sunroof and with the central locking function. Taken to the dealers workshop three times, each time failing to fix the problem and adding more problems. Now the headlights dont work either and I am unable to drive after dark or in bad weather. The car was also returned with a dent in the dash, for which the dealer is not accepting responsibility. They refuse to replace the vehicle, insisting on trying to fix it yet again. Took it to the nearest dealer today to get the lights fixed just so I can get by over the weekend. They couldnt assist. They advised me to call out the roadside assistance, which I did, only for them to pull up their shoulders in ignorance too. Over R300k spent on a car that is unsafe, not roadworthy and with several faults and damages caused by the dealership. Think twice about buying Volkswagen. What should have been the pleasure of a new car is now much more trouble than its worth. Volkswagen SA keeps referring me back to the dealer and refuses contact with their senior management.

First off, I love my car. From the first day of delivery though there have been problems. I do not have a lot of free time to spend going to the dealer so I gave the car a break-in period for some of the problems to settle and when my 10k mile service came up, I went into the dealer with a list of things I needed to be corrected. The most important is the grinding noise I get from the transmission. This is a problem that a large percentage of other owners are complaining about and VWoA is not handling. When the automatic transmission upshifts at about 25-40 mph, there is a grinding noise that occurs and the car pulls back or exhibits a minor loss of power. It is more noticeable in ECO mode, but happens in other modes. I am concerned that it is slowly damaging the transmission, will cause a breakdown, will be costly (after warranty) or will affect resale value. VWoA says this is normal, but no mechanic who has been presented with this will admit that it is normal. Next, my car has a trunk lid that hits me hard because it doesnt stay in the up position when open. I understand from VW blogs posts that this was corrected in cars made after a certain date, but apparently VWoA doesnt regard the safety of people who are being struck and hurt. I was told there was a fix for the problem, but the dealer did nothing.

VW is refusing to replace the tires. Its ludicrous that they are unwilling to stand behind the products that they are installing. We purchased a 2012 VW CC in May of 2012. The car was used and had approx. 18,000 miles at time of purchase, currently the car has 72,000. We had routine oil changes done (more than required by VW) and service to our vehicle. In 2014 at 51,000 miles our 2012 VW CC needed a new engine. We took it to a VW dealer and had the engine replaced. At the time of engine replacement, it was RECOMMENDED not included in our engine replacement that a transmission oil change may be needed. This information was not pressing in its delivery as other additional services were provided and included at time of engine replacement this was not. At the time of engine replacement the mileage was 12,000 miles over the recommended oil transmission change which was at 40,000 miles. Our car is currently at a VW dealer who is stating negligence on our part after ONE missed oil transmission change. We were quoted $5,500 to replace transmission on a car that will be three years old to us May 27, 2015. What options exist? Smells like a lemon.

Have a 2016 Passat. Laid keys in trunk and when rain started, shut trunk, forgetting keys were in it. Doors were unlocked, but could not get trunk open with internal latch, so had car towed into dealer. Already had a previous appointment to resolve electrical issues that had been ongoing from another dealer which had not been fixed. Car had 18k miles on it. Dealer could not get trunk unlocked, so instead of fixing the internal latch at the door to open the trunk, they called a locksmith and charged us $125 for a key to unlock the trunk. Got the car home, the key to unlock the trunk did not work. There is no place to put a key in the trunk, the latch still did not work and we could not get the trunk open. Called the dealer and they refused to refund $125.Did some online research and found there is a button in the glove compartment to push which resets the trunk, pushed the button and the trunk opened. Again, advised dealer of this and the inability of their staff to fix this issue and again requested refund, again was refused. Now, they wont even respond to us. When daughter went to pick up the car and pay for what was supposed to be an oil change, she questioned the charge and they were very rude to her, caused her embarrassment and caused her to cry. Volkswagen Customer Care refuses to help since the problem is not Manufacturer. The issue started from a dealer installed LoJack system, which customer was not made aware of. Dealer will not return calls, nor will GM.

VW passat 2009 - I have seen many posts written about the tire cupping issue and was wondering if anyone had heard any explanations. I was told that the TDI and non diesel Passat have the same chassis, and this is the reason for the cupping. The suspension system should not be the same for the diesel as the non diesel due to the weight difference. Now, along with the FOURTH set of tires Im needing you buy (51000) I have learned two wheels have a crack on inner side which is causing tires to leak. Anyone else experience this?? I have never been in an accident nor have I hit any gigantic potholes! Also having issues with the brakes... Had to replace two expensive rotors as there was NO warning sounds before the grinding when its too late. Very disappointed in VW.

I leased a new Jetta on November 25th, 2014, from strong VW in Salt Lake City Utah, but the very next day realized I would not be able to financially afford it. I made a big mistake. SO I went back to take the car back the next day on the 26th (I know there would be some fees to pay). The gm basically told me that leasing from them is buying the car, and there is nothing he can do and I have to learn the hard way and take the car. He also stated that the money has already been issued out and they were already paid. Also that taking the car back would be like me working for a day and then telling me that I would not be paid. He kept stating that it wasnt like Walmart, and when I asked him about the early termination statement in the lease he asked for it, and said that he doesnt have one because everything is on the computer and so they dont have a copy of it. BS! Everyone I have shown the contract said that I should be able to return it. The GMs tone of voice was very degrading, I felt very bullied. Also my sister-in-law was there with me and can testify to this. Please help!

I have had 6 VWs since 1968, and they do not work well. Yes I am a chump. I get drawn in by VWs nice fit and handling. But, believe me they make a very unreliable car. But the worst part is the arrogance that imbues every VW. Of course the TDI cheating scandal just underscores decades of this arrogance. When the Passat I had got bad coils a few years back they would not admit it. They would only replace them one at time as they failed. When a brand new Jetta gas model had the oil seal break all over my garage after 4k miles it was just business as usual. I have had every sort of fan failure, electric issue under the sun. Both my Passat and daughters Jetta heater blowers sound like birds chirping when you take left turn. Bring it under warranty and VW says no problem found. How about blinker signals that do not work when it get below 25 degrees F? Friends, any car can have problems but with VW they just dont care and that attitude just cost them billions of dollars, so far, and millions of USA customers. The brand is permanently sullied. I bet they dont care since they can make up their lost sales in China, they think.

We have 2 VW Diesel TDIs and we have been corresponding with VW for 3 months about both the buyback and the modification. We got the final approval letter for the modification back very quickly but once you call to schedule an appointment at the dealership, they say that the modification hasnt even been developed yet and they give you 1/3 of the money they owe but not until a modification has been APPROVED which could be several months and then you get the other 2/3 of the money once it is installed. A TOTAL SCAM!We then decided that they is so scandalous that we dont either one of our VWs anymore so we called and said we changed our mind and want to turn in both VWs. Of course when we call, they say the final offer has been approved for the buyback and we should get an email in our portal any day. That was a month ago... In the meantime, we still have to pay the payments and VW is still making money off us. Something needs to be done. The customer service agents are clueless. VERY ANGRY... I bought my wife her second Golf. It was a brand new 2010 model made in Mexico. Her first Golf was made in Germany but it did have some problems with the A/C compressor clutch at 10K miles, instrument cluster light flickers, inoperable stereo and consistent brake issues. Now onto the Mexican made Golf nightmare. During the first 6K miles my wife has been stranded three times. Transmissions electrical and mechanical component failure. A/C compressor failure at 7K miles, window regulator driver side at 9K miles, another one on passenger side at 11K miles, rear windows completely inoperable at 14K miles, rear defroster inoperable, driver door failed to unlock, exterior window rubber seals distorted resulting in leaks, stereo digital display failure, and of course, numerous engine light ups. The craftsmanship was horrible. Loose, shakes, rattles and mysterious noises. Service techs blame VWs Mexico plant for being in production start-up mode. Thats an unacceptable excuse. I dont recall Honda, Toyota or Nissan selling junk because of production transfer. Regardless of all the cheap and stupid excuses VW created, the Golf is long gone; thanks to a lease we broke early. I feel terribly bad for the next owner. Based on numerous reviews and data from reliable agencies, VW seems to continue in producing hit-or-miss cars. Two Golfs were enough to deter my wife in ever touching another VW product. Too bad for her because she loved Golfs. She has since bought a new Rav4, against my recommendation, and loves it. She has put 45,000 miles with absolutely NO ISSUES. Not a single problem.

Being a foreigner for over 4 years in the US, I had a hard time building credit, trying to get credit cards but banks never wanting to give them due to being on a US visa. So after I got denied several times years before I finally got financing on a Passat with $6000 down payment and a 14% interest rate and of course the salespeople at VW Santa Monica scamming me by making the price higher when we did the contract, from $17399 to suddenly $18956 or something including all the fees, so that I pay interest ON the fees as well (did not know better) paying $26.000 something on the car when paid off! So almost $9000 more than this crappy car is worth. Anyway, after paying on time for more than 1 year, I lost my job and fell behind with payments. I called a few times asking to refinance or lower the payments to no avail. Then fell behind 5 month and of course when I call they tell me car is in repo but they take the repo off if I pay at least 4 payments asap. I tell them I am overseas and need to have my US checks cleared through my bank which took 3-4 weeks over the Christmas holidays. So as soon as it cleared I send a money order via FedEx with 5 month worth of payments to get current. So I call 2 weeks later and they tell me I have to return the car as my account was closed. I am like, WHAT??? They told me on the phone if I pay 5 payments they will take off the repo and I can pay monthly via bank transfer from then on, and I call and they just canceled everything they said before and say Pay $14.000 - right now or bring the car back. I cannot believe it. They say, Contract says bla bla cancelled when in default, even after I agreed on the phone to pay them 5 payments and get current and DID pay them, they say, It was TOO LATE and now they want the total outstanding on the car within days or need the car back. What a ** company, the WORST liars and scammers out there! I paid up, she confirmed my payment but supposedly it was days too late. So now I dont know what to do, lose $26000, and the car, cannot drive to work without a car, still have to pay off the rest. Instead of working with us these scammers rather take your car and still have you pay off the rest because they is how they make money. NEVER VOLKSWAGEN AGAIN. Worst car company ever. I am going back to Honda or anything that is better than this ** pile of a company. Will tell all my friends to never buy a VW!

I ask them how this happen since I took same time duster also and vanto - the duster I drive 65000 km but no problem. And vento give me very bad experience - I ask them how is it possible they give me answer quality is not same. That means Volkswagen is cheating and Renault is giving best quality. Now they are not giving me warranty - first they told me 3 years warranty but now they created 50000 bill. Now you people tell me what to do. My car is in workshop. Only now I think I have to take help from court first.

In addition to feeling robbed every time we took the car in for service, we have now been waiting since early last November for our settlement from the diesel gate thing. We were initially told that Volkswagen had 20 business days to review our paperwork. That took 3 months. Then we were told once we received our final offer it would only take a couple of days to get an appointment to do the buyback thing. The earliest appointment we can get is the end of March. Meanwhile, we get penalized for the mileage we put on the car (my wife is in sales so its considerably more than the 12,500 per year limit). I have many other complaints about the car, the company, and the dealership, but they echo so many other reviews here I wont bother. Before you purchase a Volkswagen please consider how ethically bankrupt the company is and ask yourself if you really want to do business with them.

Purchased our 2013 Tiguan new. Babied it... Changed oil early and often, always garaged. Tires replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport because original Michelins gone @ 14k. Rear window exploded in parking lot untouched (I was behind it when it happened). Tires shot AGAIN @ 40k... Would have been $1200 more but had warranty, so ONLY $600!!! Took it in for TX inspection @ 48k... Upper control arms/bushings shot... Replaced for $1300.00. Don’t buy VW... They’re not only crooks, they are also thieves!!!

They sold a faulty truck. Wow. Where do I begin? Ok let me start by saying my husband and I bought from a Volkswagen dealer because of the Volkswagen good representation of being honest and of quality. Well in our situation that wasnt the case. The dealer we bought from sold us a 25k used truck with a faulty engine. Unfortunately we bought from Texas so there is no lemon law. I will never deal or recommend Volkswagen ever again. It seems like they dont care about the products they sell just the money they make.

Really not happy! I have received a notification from the DMV that I will not be able to register my 2012 Golf unless I provide a certificate with proof of airbag correction. It states that I should contact my local dealer for a free repair and gives a phone number to call if problems occur 1-800-242-4450. Well the dealer acts as if its not their problem and the operator on the 1-800 help line says he has never heard of this!!! I was instructed to ask the DMV what I should do!!! Really!?! I paid $30,000 for a 2012 Diesel Golf that now has an airbag that can kill me and a total fraud in the emissions category!! I have no faith that VW will make good. So very disappointed. I will never buy a VW again.

Picked vehicle up today and it was raining again and lights misted up again. How can be sell vehicles knowing that the headlights have this problem. VW essentially refuses to replace headlights. Just want to let people know what they are potentially in for if they buy be.

Im very frustrated at the fact that Im driving a car that has a potential safety issue and I usually have my 5 yr and 13 month old children with me. I bought the VW Tiguan because it was rated #1 for safety when my older child was 1 yr old. My car has had many problems and have spent 1000s of dollars in repair. But what has got me furious is the fact that on the morning of Friday July 25 2014. As I was leaving my parents house from dropping my kids and getting ready to go to work I started my car but the Power steering was gone completely. The Tiguan started and I could drive forward and back but the steering wheel did not move at all as if it was locked but it was not and the power steering failure light came on in the dashboard. The Tiguan is almost 4 yrs old and about 73 thousand miles on it. But I do not think age is the issue with this problem, its just a design flaw from VW.This problem has me very concern because what if I was driving on the freeway and the power steering failed then? I could only imagine what could have happen. What if my children were with me? This problem is unacceptable, inexcusable and life threatening. This is a very serious safety issue with the Tiguan. My Tiguan was towed to a VW dealerships car shop and they told me there that they never heard of such problem with the Tiguan models. I search on the web and it turns out there are several hundreds 2009-2011 VW Tiguans owners that have had that same problem, and to fix the Tiguan would be $2,045 dollars. The service rep suggested I call VW customer service. I did call and they were very nice and told me that they were going to see if they could help me with the repair. Next day I get a call from them and told me that they were not going to do anything about it because my Tiguan had more than 70,000 miles and was way out of warranty. This power steering problem has nothing to do with the Tiguans age. Other people that have had this exact same experience and only had their Tiguan for 2 months with 1,800 miles on and the problem keeps reoccurring! Warranty or no warranty this is a design flaw and should be covered by VW. Also in my opinion this is an issue worth a major recall but so far VW seems to be waiting for the first deaths to occur before they will react. There is always possibility that in traffic, the power steering really could go any moment.Something should be done about it before an innocent family dies!!! Help!!!! In the meantime I will tell my story in the social media to people in the news if I can, in the radio if I can, report it to BBB, and make consumer reports anywhere I can!! etc. I am now very scared to be driving the Tiguan. Its not safe and I dont feel safe! Other people with the same problem have had the problem reoccurring after being fixed. VW has lost a loyal customer forever!!

I have taken my 2008 VW Jetta 2.0T to the dealer 4 or 5 times due to a hard-starting issue when the engine is cold. I spoke with a VW tech and told him what was happening and he said, Yes, that’s a bad fuel pump. I asked if he can please repair it now and he replied, Unless the computer on the car tells us what’s wrong, we cant do anything. A few weeks later, a service advisor called me from David Maus VW and told me that they had another VW Jetta with a 2.0T engine that had the same issues and they replaced the fuel pump and that fixed the problem. I asked why VW won’t replace the fuel pump in my car. He said, If we cant reproduce it, we cant fix it. I still have warranty and VW is giving me issues. To top this all off, VW says the seal around my headlight is bad and is allowing moisture in the headlight. They said that would cost me $589.15 to do that repair for the headlight. I asked why it would cost me anything when the car is still under warranty. His reply, VW doesn’t cover seals under warranty.

Last night, my husband and I went to Ford to trade in our leased VW CC for a new car. The lease was supposed to be up in May. I was quoted a payoff amount of $15,500 by VW. The deal with Ford was made late at night when VW Credit was already closed. Ford agreed to pay off the lease, and we made the deal with the new car. The purchase with Ford was very easy and smooth.Ford called VW this morning to confirm the payoff amount, and VW added an additional $2000! Apparently, the 6 payments that were supposed to be due until the end of the lease, which was supposed to be in May, were not included in the payoff amount. How can that make sense? Payoff means final amount to completely pay off a car. So we had to pay an additional $2000 because VW Credit gave us the wrong payoff amount. Then they changed their story and said its a termination fee. $2000 termination fee? Are they serious? Never again will we ever return to VW for any future cars. They just lost 2 loyal clients due to their cheapness and carelessness!

We purchased a brand new 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan. It looks like this vehicle is only built to last till 60,000 miles. Check engine light is common thing meaning a frequent visit to the auto shop. Even we always use premium gas so engine still builds the carbon which was a very costly fix. We arent the only ones we have had issues with VW, our friends and people we know who own previously VW had the same experiences. Even my sister who owned a Audi Q5 she had the same issues once she hit the 60,000 miles mark. My advice think twice before you make the purchase for an Audi or VW vehicles. I leased a 2017 VW Tiguan in Jan 2018. It had only 6025 miles on it. When entering my Garage it suddenly had acceleration to damage the Cars front and garage wall which made a big hole in it. I contacted VW HQ Customer Care immediately in Auburn Hills, MI and they listened and kept me asking questions again and again how it happened. First they said will give you a case number. Then later they asked to send a letter that I am not going to litigate on this matter which was promptly mailed for they will not accept an email to this effect. I also contact their US CEO in Herndon, VA Office sending them all pictures of damage to Car and garage Wall and Door access to home. These pictures were taken by Insurer Liberty Mutual. Unfortunately due a mistake I forgot to get Rental Car Coverage from Liberty Ins. It is costing $330 per week in NJ. Car I am told will not be repaired for 3-4 weeks to get parts.I also asked for stopping lease payments $212 p.m starting Nov 15 and keep me whole on damage to the garage wall and related costs. The VW rep did not sound too enthusiastic. I have had as a student a VW Beetle to drive several times. It was a great little car. This sudden acceleration of TIGUAN, a Police guy told me is now happening in some Cars that had faulty electronics synced with Transmission. Bought a 2013 2.5 SE as a left over in 2014. Since then I have had the window master switch replaced, the front passenger window switch, the Bluetooth module, shifter and ignition replaced all due to failures and malfunctions. The one item was the AC where during summer temps the vent temperature fluctuated from 40 to 70 degrees, the AC would shut off humid air blow out for 10 minutes and then it would kick back on. I have brought my vehicle in many times for this issue at every 10k factory service and many times in between. The incompetent techs look for malfunction codes, check the charge level and run the car in the SHOP and say, Oh its cold...At the 40k mark outside of the B2B warranty they found the issue and told me a simple exact and recharge would fix it. Now if the charge level was fine at every AC service why would it be found now? That wasnt the case, the issue still remains. I got VWOA involved. They said nothing can be done other than having them look at it again (likely same results) where I may be liable for loaner expenses. I am never buying a VW for myself or recommending a VW to anyone again.

I just received a huge turn-in bill from VW. This was the fourth (and last!) VW I have leased. I asked them to reverse the $350 return fee (pure robbery) and they would only reverse it if I leased a fifth one. The Tiguan was poorly made. The ceiling lining was slightly loose on one side because of a leaky sunroof. The dealer said to take a picture and fight the charge. I called VW Credit and the person refused to reverse the charge and said I should have taken it to the dealership. I was charged $258 for that. I told her that I had leased 4 Volkswagens and that didnt make one iota of difference to her. For what is a tiny degree of money to VW, they have lost a customer. I went in because my car stopped in the middle of the road 5 times on a Friday. Volkswagen provided me a car for the weekend and then told me on that Monday which was October 9th that there was a recall on the fuel pump and module and that is why my car is stopping in the middle of the road. I called Tom Bush Volkswagen in Jacksonville on that Friday when my car stopped because I was in the middle of traffic and almost got hit. I was in tears and that is why the guy got me a car to drive for the weekend. They want me to pay $850.00 for parts that is not my fault. I dont have money for that and just recovering from Hurricane Irma. I do not have it. I am not mad at Tom Bush they tried everything to get my car fixed for the recall. I am more than frustrated with the Volkswagen company because I was told I have to pay for the parts and they know it’s a recall and then they will reimburse me. I feel in danger to drive my car and have not driven my car since then because it stops more than three times in traffic. I feel like Volkswagen should fix my car because they know it’s a recall. This is not my fault so why am I catching rides to and from work because I cant drive my car. This rating really deserves a zero. Volkswagen does not care about my safety or my familys safety when I have to try and drive a car that stops because of their faulty equipment. Something needs to be done and fast. However, I have had numerous occasions in which I had to leave my car at the VW service shop for repairs and was told there were no cars available or that there was nothing they could do. On May 29, 2015 my car had a crash that I was told made my 2013 unsafe, too expensive to fix not covered under the Bumper to Bumper factory 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. Per the eye witness to my crash, obtained on the Police Report, here is a summary of what happened: The car was in the right lane of a 4 lane road. The speed limit on that part of the road is 40 mph (I had just turned onto the road at the intersection and was not going over 25 mph). The road was wet, smooth pavement and free from any holes, rocks etc. The right front tire canted out of from the car. The car then veered to the left, across a lane of traffic, and hit the concrete divider and steel sign. The witness took pictures immediately showing the right front tire still at an angle to the car, the right front bumper was not touching the curb due to the angle of the impact with the concrete divider. There was no visible sign of damage to the right front portion of the car, other than the obvious tire that remained tilted outward from the car. All damage to the car resulting from the impact with the concrete divider was on the left side of the car.On Wednesday June 15, 2015 the VW Product Engineer came to Missouri to evaluate the probable cause of the crash of my 2013 Passat. Since I believed that I was not getting all of the truth about why my car crashed I also went to where my car was available for inspection and arrived 10 minutes after he was finished with my car. The car was on a rack and I asked the mechanic to identify the right tie rod for me. The right tie rod looked intact as was the left side. I asked him to identify the piece that appeared broken. He said it was the ball joint. This piece was sheared off and each side was in the holder. The ball joint on the left side was in one piece with a top and bottom piece covering it. I asked about the brakes. The right front steel drum was loose and I could wiggle it from side to side. The left side would not move at all.I was called the next day by a person filling in for the representative that had discussed the possible warranty problem with me. I was told that I could not get a copy of the report, could not speak with the Engineer and that his conclusion was NO warranty defects! When I asked how determined how pieces were broken I was told that I must have hit a rock or other object and the parts were broken at impact with the divider. When I asked how the tire fell out while going straight on the road, there was no answer. When I asked how the ball joint was sheared off and I was told that a force from outside the car caused the rod to snap. Not a reasonable answer. I was then told my case would be closed and that I could not discuss this any further. I asked if that meant I should sue them in court to get the answers I was told YES.I do not think you have to be an Engineer to know that the conclusions were made with total disregard to the order of event and the photos of the crash site. If the ball joints are made of metal, steel perhaps?, then it would be impossible to create enough force from the outer side of the tire to cause the ball joint to shear off. There was no damage to the outside of the tire until AFTER the car was drag off off the scene by a tow truck. I suspect that the Engineer decided what caused the wreck before he got to my car and used the scenario of me crashing the car and causing the mechanics to fail. Since the tire chanting out from car happened right before the car veered left and then crashed I do not believe the Product Engineer has this clearly figured out.

I bought a used VW Toureg 3 1/2 years ago after I was told that they were the most reliable & safe SUV I could get for my family. I purchased the vehicle with 40,000 miles and knew I may have some repair bills down the line, but was reassured by the salesman that it would last until 250,000 easy with regular maintenance. Since that time, I have spent over $7000 in repairs which has included both headlights (at over $200 apiece), brakes, tires, valves, crank case ventilation, windshield wipers, expensive oil changes, etc. I cannot even remember all of the repairs I have had to do, but if I had only applied that $7000 to the purchase of the vehicle I could have gotten a new Ford with a warranty. First of all, the only place that can do the repairs is a VW dealership which adds about $75 to every service. Also, I have not taken it once where it hasnt been at least a $500 bill. We have had a Ford F-150 Truck for 15 years and have not had $500 in service in total! After taking my complaint to the service department at Northtowne VW, his response was, Yes, maam. I purchased my 2014 Volkswagen CC in September of 2014. I was so excited to join the VW family. I leased this vehicle to get my feet wet and determine if I would be a lifelong VW customer. Well, in 2016 while driving down one of Houstons busiest freeways my car stalled and I was just barely able to pull to the side of the road. I had to have my vehicle towed to the dealership where they kept it for 4 days. They replaced multiple parts, it seemed fine. The very next morning I got up and the car wouldnt start. I had to have it sent back to VW in which they discovered an issue with the fuel pump module. After replacing this part, I drove it back home and the next day it wouldnt start again, maybe the third time is a charm. I had it towed back to VW and they replaced the battery. Less than a year later with my son in the car, the vehicle died again. Luckily I wasnt struck by another vehicle. I had it towed to the nearest VW service center in which they told me it was the fuel module again, but it was out of warranty and I would have to go through VW cares to see about getting it replaced or I would be responsible for an 1,800 repair bill. Well, after going back and forth with them they agreed to replace the part. Can you imagine how unsettling and scary it is to drive a vehicle that has such a huge safety issue and recall with no permanent fix. Well, this weekend I was driving down the freeway and the vehicle stopped again, I was blessed enough to pull to safety. My 10 year old son was in the back seat praying we wouldnt get hit. I had the vehicle towed to VW Saturday night at 8pm, so I was without a vehicle for the entire Easter weekend and couldnt get my son to his obligations. Monday morning I received a call from service advises, my brake fluid was green, the control arm bushings were cracked/dry rot and I needed an alignment totaling 1,000+ in expenses. The service rep stated this was just the beginning, but there was also several transmission codes and the diagnostic would be 135 to see exactly whats wrong with the vehicle. I told her to go ahead that was at 9am, its now 6:30 pm and I have yet to hear anything. I called around 3:00 pm to be told the clutch was out and they were trying to get me a quote for a transmission and to expect my service rep to call before end of day. Well, I am truly disappointed in the service, maintenance and overall Volkswagen CC. I will list all parts Ive had replaced on the vehicle and estimated repair costs since Ive had the vehicle. Ribbed belt. Tensioner. Valve. Separator. Mounting. Bearing. Turbo valve and crankcase breather leaking oil. Washer. Fuel unit. Control un. Battery. Battery disposal fee. I have not added the additional services that Ive had in the past 6 months.

Local dealer did a diagnosis of an 06 GTI with broken cam chain, claimed warranty extension doesnt apply with a part on the warranty on the parts list. Contacted VWOA and after talking to a case worker, found the dealer never checked one of the things listed on the warranty I asked them to check. Gross incompetence at the least, already filed a complaint via NHTSA, may do so with state attorney general. These failing engine parts will result in death eventually and several people have already had close calls. The parts in question arent listed as serviceable parts, so since Im not a psychic I dont know to check them. Will probably not buy another VW unless my car is magically fixed and not at my cost.

We have been a customer for 20 years. We purchased a VW Jetta in 2015. We have not had too many issues with the car. However, when coming back from vacation with 2 children in the car and we had a blowout at 9 pm on 64 E in Virginia. I pulled over to the side of the road, I then removed everything from the trunk to get to the spare tire. After pulling out the jack, and tire out of the car, I noticed there is no lug wrench. We called VW roadside assistance which dispatched a tow truck that I arrived 45 minutes later. We had the vehicle towed to our home which cost me $211.00. I went to VW the next morning to explain what happened and their sales manager said: Well you bought the car 4 years ago. It not our problem.I called customer service to file a complaint and received a callback and stated they are not going to do anything because the car was four years old. The sales manager was uncaring and did not even seem to care. I asked to speak to the GM and he stated he wont be in for 30 - 60 minutes. I waited to speak to the GM but never got to speak with him but was told they were not going to assist us with the tow cost. They would of if I had towed the car to their dealership. I said I had 4 people in the car (2 children) as well as a lot of luggage. After 20 years of faithful service with the company they did not care about their customers, they are only out for the money. As of today, I will NEVER BUY A VW again or recommended the dealership/company again. So much for Southern Hospitality.

For a second time now the push open door to the gas tank would not open. I was 40 miles from home and there was ZERO way to fill up my car with gas. I was on fumes, there was no-one or a service company around to help me. There is a manufacturing problem with the gas push open door and after a while there is a part that goes bad according to the Volkswagen reps and it seals shut. There are no indicator lights or warnings that this is going to happen. So, you get STRANDED with zero warning!! I was able to force pull the door open but the door did break and the silver rectangle cosmetic piece covering the door fell off and the black door cannot close or it will not open again--Both pieces now need repair. It is a malfunction in the companies car design and should be considered for recall. I called to try to resolve the matter today with the 1-800 Volkswagen Customer Care line and the lady on the phone was ZERO help and would NOT let me speak to the Volkswagen supervisor and said she spoke to him/her for me and they stand firm on their decision. I was extremely disappointed. THIS is TERRIBLE customer service and this is a SAFETY issue -- not being able to put gas in your car is not too much to ask when you buy a car. They said they will NOT cover the repair on my car because it is old, 2014 with 79,000 miles on it that I have taken GREAT care of and is in good condition. There is always the ROAD TO YES and I believe Volkswagen should take better care of their customers and help FIX the NOW problem. The Volkswagen dealership service people reported to me that they have seen this problem MULTIPLE times but there is no recall for it. To say I am disappointed is an understatement and I do not think I will be back as a purchasing customer--again EVER.

Claims processing cant tell me anything, appeal department doesnt answer. It looks like they are just dragging time so they dont have to pay.

So here is the deal. My husband and I, we purchased 2013 VW Tiguan. During the first year I had to bring the car to the dealer 4 times, due to an engine problems. First time, the engine light went on (at that point the car was about 4 months old!! ), we brought it to the dealer and after they checked it, they told us that it is just a glitch in electronics...Two months later, the light comes again, we bring it to the dealer and hear the same story...yet this time they told us that they switched something off (!!!!), so that the false engine light alert wont come on again! Couple of months go by (just FYI - I commute on highways every day to and from work), and when Im in the middle of my way home, the engine light goes on again... 20 minutes later, after the light had came on, the car just stalls/the engine shuts off!! Luckily the traffic was heavy and I was going about 10-15 miles/hour...I had to come to a complete stop in the middle of the highway and restart the car. I cant even imagine what wouldve happened if I was going the full speed...We brought the car to the dealer, and were informed a day later, that there is a sensor problem, and that they will be replacing it. When we took back the car we asked the dealer multiple times whether this problem will be happening again - they assured us that it will not!Yet, a couple of days ago (the car is one year and 2 months old at this point) I start my regular commute from work to home, and...here we go, the engine light comes back on!!! And, as in the old scenario 20 minutes later (luckily I was still downtown - so the speed was about 5 miles/hour. I was giving a way for another car to go on the stop sign) the car engine just suddenly shuts off! I then decided to go to the dealer right away, and on my way to the dealer the car stalled (engine shut down) for the second time!!! LUCKILY AGAIN I was going on low speed due bad weather condition (first snow) and bad traffic!!! It just terrifies me to think about what wouldve happened if I was going 55-60 miles?? This time the dealer told us that there is a wiring problem (the wires that lead to the sensor are all messed up). I understand that they would fix this, but I am now extremely skeptical about the quality of this vehicle. I cant trust to use it anymore...I am now wondering if I should give up the idea of being a VW owner at all...Given that there was a recent recall on Tiguan models (some manufacturers mistake with the engine programming - which we supposedly took care of!! ), I was wondering if some of you have faced the same problem with the engine suddenly shutting off (Remember the GM manufacturers mistake and engines shutting off, when people died due to this?). If so, I urge everyone who experienced this to please respond, we need to take action - as it might be some manufacturer mistake, which might have terrible consequences in the future!!

I had a MAP sensor replaced after the engine light came on. It came back on again after a month. Today driving and less than a 1/2 mile from home a warning came on and read low oil pressure engine off, but it never did go off. I pulled up a few recalls Friday before I left work, one being the MAP sensor and creaking of the suspension (I heard it a few times but thought maybe it was just cold) and worn, cracked CV boots. I contacted the dealer and currently waiting for a appointment to address the recalls. You can find most recalls on the Chiltons Library.

I bought my Volkswagen eight years ago and have put about 100k miles on it. I admit that I love driving the car, but I am very dissatisfied with Volkswagens customer service. I recently brought my VW in to my local dealer for routine service and maintenance. I understand that VWs are expensive to service and fix, and I understand that my car is getting old. However, the dealer I brought my VW to ended up breaking a bolt while changing my brakes, thus requiring a bunch of parts to be replaced, and they want ME to pay $1200 to fix it!Ive been arguing with the dealer for days to no avail. I got in touch with Volkswagen customer care in hopes that they would help me. They do call themselves Advocates, but they are no help at all! The case manager, Jennifer, I spoke with basically said that Corporate VW cant do a thing to help me because each dealer is independently owned and operated. What they should have done is agree to reimburse me these costs if they couldnt get the dealer to fix my car for nothing, as they should! What good are these people if they cant do anything to help?? This whole situation has been ridiculous. I am never buying a VW again and dealing with this nonsense.

I would appreciate VW of America to reimburse me for my disbursement because this is not fair and no other makers of cars run through such headache of mechanical failures. Extremely disappointed with my 2016 VW golf sportswagon and their customer care. I have been a VW owner for 20 years and didn’t have any problems with the quality until I purchased this car. The car had transmission problems only after 6 months and the same issue happened numerous time during the 5 years. Not to mention that there were a few recalls as well. The turbocharger also failed just shortly after the warranty expired. I called VW customer care to see if they can help given that I had been a loyal customer. The experience with customer care had been terrible and disappointing. It took 6 weeks for them to complete an assessment for the car. I had to follow up numerous times and was always given the answer that they will look into it and call me back. But they never did. It’s not until that we went to the dealership to talk to the service manager that customer care put effort to complete an assessment of the repairs. It’s disappointing that given the quality history of the car they are only willing to cover about half of the repair cost. Their decision is final and doesn’t given a chance to discuss further with them. The quality of this car is not what I expected from VW.What is also extremely disappointing is that they don’t offer basic customer service. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that I will get a call within 48 hours. It never happened as always and it took numerous follow up calls and 8 days later before a supervisor called. This is totally unacceptable customer service. Their “don’t care” attitude will drive away loyal customers. I will never buy another VW product or recommend them to a friend or family.

Bought a 2017 Passat SE with tech and after 9 months began to have safety sensor problems, blind spot, forward collision and parking. Took to the dealer several times to be told it was non existent or normal. Got VWoA INVOLVED AND THEY WERE HARDLY ANY HELP. Finally after I was given a loaner with the airbag hanging from the steering wheel I was offered a trade in assistance. Traded into a 2018 Tiguan SE and have had nothing but issues since day 1, car net never worked, blind spot was faulty, transmission issues, engine power failure. Now my new car had been taken apart and been out of service 32 days in total and only has 8k miles on it, not to mention damaged from the dealer. VWoA denied my claim for buyback and now I am having to deal with lawyers to get it resolved. They really need to get their crap together and vet their dealerships employees and their representatives. Being told error codes are normal, cylinder 3 misfires are caused by bad gas, transmission hesitation/engine power loss isnt a major concern and blind spot detection, which is a safety feature, malfunctioning is no concern that it should not be relied on is unacceptable, not to mention when they hooked a scan tool to my car it shows my car has 2k more miles on it than my odometer states. Will never purchase another VW. BUYER BEWARE.

On Monday, April 16, 2018, I had the unfortunate mishap of my car stalling out while I was on my way to lunch. We had to have the car towed to a mechanic where it was determined that my 2012 VW CC with roughly 86,000 miles suffered from what is being called a ‘Catastrophic Engine Failure’. I was told by the mechanic this was not our fault and the car shows no signs of neglect. My mechanic has given me a quote to replace the engine, with a used engine that has approximately 70,000 miles on it, at a cost of $9,849.57. If I was to replace the engine who’s to say that this problem wouldn’t happen again. After hearing this news I started to do some research. I have come across several articles and claims that there are issues with the Timing Chain Tensioner on various vehicles; which, include the year, make, and model of mine. It seems Volkswagen is aware of this issue but refuses to do anything about it. I have contacted Volkswagen twice already and have not gotten any help.I now have a car that I am still paying for (car note and insurance) that I cannot drive. I really hope that Volkswagen will take this issue seriously as this could have happened to me the day before as I was traveling home on a busy highway from out of town. I have always like the Volkswagen name and their vehicles but the way things are being handled by them I am beyond frustrated!

When I asked about problems with Barnstable free chargers around Hyannis they didnt know why I couldnt charge on them. Said they would check it out. They never did. After a month of trying to figure it out myself I gave up and took it back. They wanted me to go the lemon law route. I told them I thought it was damaged and that they knew about it. That would be fraud to do the lemon law. I ended up paying them a total of over $5,000.00 to get out of the lease. The Corporate VW was no better. I replaced Michelin tires and got charged $190 each which they were not original parts. I called VW credit and they kept saying cant readjust my money. Dont buy a Volkswagen. I made the mistake. And Im here to prevent you from doing the same thing. Heres the deal. Volkswagen is a dishonest company. Dieselgate proved that. Some of the companys former executives are now in prison. Theyre literally convicted criminals. But the issue is beyond Dieselgate. Volkswagens tend to feature some really nice German engineering with some fatal flaws that make the cost of ownership rise astronomically. Volkswagen Group of America takes no responsibility for any of this and instead only responds when it faces a class action lawsuit. I purchased a Volkswagen CC in 2010. It was an amazing, graceful vehicle for the first four years. And then became -- and remains -- like a star athlete who got injured early in his career, turning into a shell of what he once was. My Volkswagen CC is the Penny Hardaway of cars.First there was the carbon buildup issue with the intake manifold. Long story short, the intake manifold has a design flaw. It results in the buildup of carbon deposits. This is a common issue with VW and Audi direct injection engines. VW will lie to you about why it happens, blaming the type of gas you use. Cleanup costs $500-$800 to clean. Two VW dealerships lied to me about aspects of the issue, telling me two different stories. VW Group of America refused to pay for the cleaning. Ultimately, I had to get it cleaned by a non-dealer specialist. And now my turbo is failing, putting the longevity of the engine at risk. VW Group of America refuses to cover the replacement of the turbo, though the dealer technician said hes seen a lot of turbos fail.Ive had a host of other problems with this car. Leaks, replacements of shocks and struts, multiple battery failures, and frequent flat tires. Theres a class action lawsuit alleging that the suspension of the car has a design flaw, causing premature tire wear. Thats happened with me. Ive had to buy a total of 12 additional new tires for this car. Ive had to replace the battery three times. Ive had to get the intake manifold cleaned. Now I have to get the turbo replaced.I have a spreadsheet detailing my maintenance and repair costs, toiling in roughly $10,000 over eight years. There are other repairs various dealers have recommended that I did not get done or chose cheaper alternatives. Altogether, they would have totaled more than $6000 more. Every dealer comes with their own set of $2000 recommended repairs.Anyway, theres a clear pattern: these problems Ive experienced are mainly based on VW design flaws. The fuel pump issue (for which theres a recall) causes the battery to drain. The suspension design flaw (for which theres a class action lawsuit) causes the tires to wear quickly. The direct injection engine causes carbon buildup on the intake manifold. And my guess is theres some fatal flaw with the turbos. VW is a company that only responds to these issues when facing legal action. Thats why their execs are in jail. Dont make the mistake I made. Dont buy a Volkswagen. They continue to deceive after Dieselgate and should be out of business. Unethical people.

They refuse to help or admit a problem exists with the engine. They made a crappy engine that burns oil way too fast and they will not fix it. But they gave me a $1000.00 voucher to buy another Volkswagen.

I bought a 2018 VW Atlas SE Tech, terrible vehicle. DO NOT buy this vehicle! The safety system does not work. The start and stop system makes you accelerate rapidly when its on and you start moving your car (so, you may hit a car in front of you if its too close). The ICRS system does not work. The car will not brake for you. I have tested it many times COUNTLESS times and the system does not engage. Short of hitting another car or a pedestrian I cannot get closer to the real incident to prove it works. Lastly, if you are in an area that uses prime (water mixed with salt) do not buy this car. It will cause an accident. The car has driven me onto incoming traffic headed the other way, I had to drive off the road to avoid a collision. I took it to the dealership and they said it works, but did not prove it. I had to take their word. I tried crashing the car again to see if it works. IT DOESNT!! So, do not spend your money in that vehicle.

UNFAIR! I was an outstanding VW client and yet, VW was UNFAIR and DISCRIMINATORY to me! I leased a VW Jetta three years ago. I made all of my payments and have paid my vehicle down to its residual. I called VW credit and got a payoff and the payoff is my residual plus a $350 purchase option charge as my contract states. Upon wanting to trade my car in the facility, I called VW to verify the written payoff amount and to my great surprise, the payoff was $1,300 higher, therefore, reducing MY trade-in value by $1,300! I contracted for 45,000 miles but drove the car only 28,000 miles. Reminder... I paid for those miles with a lower residual and higher payments! My daughter bought a similar Jetta about the same time and sold it to the same dealership I was attempting to. VW credit honored her written payoff that was her residual value plus remaining payments not yet due, less unearned finance charges plus purchase option. No GREEDY increase! I am only asking VW credit to allow me to trade my lease in for what I have paid it down to. I feel I earned at least that by being an outstanding customer and making every payment perfectly on time. But VW HAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST ME and not treated me fair like they did in my daughters case. Did VW treat her fair because she is an attorney? I plan on never doing business with VW in the future! Plus, Im sure if theyre doing this to me, theyve done it to others. So I am seriously considering starting a class action suit!

The GTI is one of the best all around cars on the market today as far as overall versatility. It may not be the best in any singular category (performance, mpg, comfort, etc.), but it’s cumulatively better than 90-95% of the cars that it competes against. The GTI’s changes over the model years have been subtle with VW finely tuning & refining a proven & successful platform. I’ve owned cars that were more luxurious, had more performance, were much more aesthetically pleasing design-wise...yet, the 5 GTIs that I own/have owned, have never failed to provide me with an exhilarating drive.

Rebuild motor at 55,000 miles, 4,500 dollars sunroof fixed 3 times - still getting wet, 1,200 without rug cleaned. They wanted 1,000 more for that. Why, when still getting wet? This 32,000 SUV has cost me 8,000 dollars without tune ups, brakes and tires. Worst SUV I have every owed. Cant fix sunroof, always smells like mold. VW should fix their vehicles if I cant get 80,000 miles out of it without some many problems.

I have had nothing but poor customer service experience with VW USA Custome
I have had nothing but poor customer service experience with VW USA Customer Care. When I called the dealership where I purchased the car in panic after my car brakes failed on the freeway - the salesman did not invite me - ever - to check my car, which is an accident waiting to happened. It is nothing short of a miracle my kids are still alive due to my car stalling at a major and busy street in Los Angeles at least on two different occasions.I have contacted VW Customer Care before the car was stalling - when the driver door was about to fall off - mind you I am 411 tall and weigh 100 lbs. I later contacted VW USA Customer Care again when I started having brake failures and they did nothing whatsoever except waiting for them to get back to me (in a week or so) and then saying that they cant do anything. So when my car started having stalling episodes (2 of them on major streets in Los Angeles), I did not bother contacting VW USA Customer Care but went to the dealership that said they do not see a problem and that they run the car computer system something of that sort and everything looks good.I also like to say that every time I went to the dealership, I had to make sure the right description of what has happened is put down on the work order and not what might look better on paper. Not having a loaner car when I pay almost $400 a month for my car that keeps breaking down is a terrible business practice. The Sun Visor hitting my eye could put me out of work. Fire coming out of the charger while I was driving traumatize both - my very young children and I - Please note that since then, none of the car chargers has been working so I have to rely on a portable charger I have purchased. I truly appreciate your willingness to help but I have lost faith that anything will be resolved because if VW Customer Care did not care that my childrens life and my life are in danger driving a Volkswagen, then why would they care now that my lease is almost ending? True. VW still does not care.

The car looks great on the outside, the inside as well. Very comfortable car and spacious. The drive is smooth and affordable in gas. Its not a big SUV and not too small. Enough room to fit 5 people and a large trunk. Very happy with the design of the vehicle. As for the engine, I did have a few issues. Instead of a timing belt its a chain which needs to be changed and very costly. The pieces are ok in price but had to add some extra money on top of my payments. That was the downfall of this purchase.

My husband and I have had a 2015 Volkswagen Passat that we leased in Sept of 2015 from AutoFair Volkswagen of Nashua. When we did this we were not given a choice of color, make, model etc., nor did they work within our budget of what we could afford for a car payment. They told us not to worry about mileage as we are now over our mileage that we were allotted for the 4 year lease. We have tried several times to trade it in for something smaller and they won’t work with us, they have called us multiple times wanting to buy the car back and we go up there and they tell us there is nothing that they can do for us. I have made several attempts to reach out to the sales manager and she will not return my phone call. She finally returned my call to tell me she had no recollection of the CEO of Volkswagen calling and speaking with her that she had no notes, but yet he called me to tell me he spoke with her and she would be calling me to see what they could do to rectify the situation. I again have put in another call to the CEO awaiting his return phone call to discuss this matter. If this doesn’t get resolved I will have no choice but to hire an attorney and deal with this Legally as we are not happy with the car and it has some mechanical issues that need to be fixed.

In my experience, I never have been in such a poor experience so far. After 2 months of booking and the full amount has been paid, Volkswagen group is ready to refund the entire amount instead of delivering the car. Since now, they havent provided me the proper reason for delay. The irony is, they havent ever communicated with me until I communicate them. The reckless organization. They are the very worst among all other brands.

I own two VW vehicles, one is a VW Eurovan that recently have to replace 4 tires because they were splitting. According to my local VW dealer Dick ** they dont deal with tires. After I complain, they agree to check with their tire supplier and agree that the tires have some splitting due to some defects. Two weeks later I still waiting for the service manager to give me a resolution to this problem. After I contact him by email he respond, That is very typical waiting process. They forgot that when I purchase the tires at the dealer I paid in FULL. So far my tires went to the supplier on May 20th 2016, no answer yet.My next one is about my VW Jetta Wolfsburg Radio. Yesterday my radio stop working, no sound or power. I went online to check if there is a solution to this problem like a bad fuse and to my surprise I found out that this problem with the radio is very normal. Today I call VW of America and they say that unfortunately my car warranty expired and I have to fix this radio out of pocket. I exposing that to a VW customer that is been buying cars for more than 14 years is a shame to hear such a poor customer services. I was just thinking about buying a new VW Touareg. After this experience with VW of America and my local VW dealer I will change car brand after all competition is there to pick a better experience and representation.

I bought an Amarok and only had the privilege of a weeks drive when my clutch broke. I have been phoning and trying to get action for 3 weeks without any results. My husband and I have a contractors business so we drive a lot between sites. There were very long and meaningless explanations as to why they couldnt help us with another vehicle. The worst of all is the lack of communication. Not a single person in the dealership knows when their vehicle part will arrive and nobody is letting us know whats going on. If you ask for a date and time, the person will react by saying they dont want to pin on a direct date because they dont want to be held responsible. Come on, this is Volkswagen, a big firm not a one-man roadshow. There is a total lack of professionalism.

Let me start by saying that this is the second VW Ive own. I just found out that my car has been affected by the Takata airbag recall for over a year and I was not notified about the problem and has been driving an unsafe vehicle this whole time. There is obviously no fix for yet and who knows when/if they will ever repair the problem. Ive been trying to sell this vehicle as I purchased a new car a few months ago and as you can imagine no one will buy this VW because of the recall. As a single mother I simply cant afford making 2 car payments, insurances etc. so I requested that VW buys the car from me. To my surprise they said they couldnt help me!! So now Im stuck with a vehicle that I cant afford and no one will buy including VW!! Im truly disgusted by the whole experience and the company. This isnt my first VW but will sure be my last one.

I was driving my 2002 Volkswagen Passat when the Stop Engine oil pressure light came on. I had my car towed to Maple Hill Auto Group, my authorized Volkswagen dealership and was told that this would cost me between $2400-$3300 to repair. In doing further investigation, I found out that it was a known problem with my make and model. There was a class action suit against Volkswagen and they extended the warranty.I am 5595 miles over the extended warranty on a fixed income and basically screwed as I can not afford to fix this. I am not asking them to replace my tires just fix a known problem with my engine which is no falt of mine but that of the manufacturer who has declined to help me.
