2026 Lexus LX Hybrid

Find big savings on Lexus Automobile(s) at Auto Helpers. Low Prices.

The 2026 Lexus LX Hybrid (often referred to as the LX 700h) represents a major step forward for Lexus’s flagship SUV by combining its traditional off-road strength with electrified performance. It is designed for buyers who want the durability and capability of the LX, but with improved efficiency and more advanced power delivery.

Overview and Positioning.
The 2026 LX Hybrid builds on the current LX generation and introduces a hybrid powertrain for the first time in the model’s history. It sits at the top of the Lexus SUV lineup alongside the standard LX, offering a more advanced and efficient alternative without sacrificing capability.

Unlike many hybrids that focus purely on fuel savings, the LX Hybrid is engineered to enhance both performance and off-road ability. It competes with other full-size luxury SUVs but stands out due to its body-on-frame construction and serious off-road credentials.

Design and Exterior.
The LX Hybrid maintains the bold and imposing design of the standard LX.

It features a large spindle grille, upright proportions, and a wide stance that emphasizes strength and presence. The overall look is rugged yet refined, combining off-road toughness with luxury styling.

Hybrid-specific changes are subtle. Most of the differences are under the surface, though certain trims such as Overtrail+ include darker accents and more rugged styling elements.

Wheel sizes vary by trim, with smaller wheels on off-road-focused versions and larger wheels on luxury-oriented models.

Powertrain and Performance.
The 2026 LX Hybrid uses a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine combined with an electric motor.

This hybrid system produces approximately 457 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque, delivering strong and immediate power.

The electric motor enhances low-speed torque, which is especially useful for off-road driving and towing. Power is delivered through a 10-speed automatic transmission, and full-time four-wheel drive is standard.

This setup makes the LX Hybrid both powerful and smooth, with improved responsiveness compared to the gas-only version.

Efficiency and Fuel Economy.
The hybrid system improves fuel efficiency compared to the traditional LX, though it is still a large, heavy SUV.

Estimated fuel consumption is around 11.7 L per 100 km combined, which is better than the non-hybrid version but not class-leading.

The focus is on balancing efficiency with performance rather than maximizing fuel savings.

Off-Road Capability.
The LX Hybrid remains one of the most capable luxury SUVs off-road.

It retains its body-on-frame construction, which provides strength and durability. Advanced systems include Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, and locking differentials in certain trims.

The hybrid system is specifically engineered for off-road use, with features such as a protected battery and components designed to handle water and rough conditions.

The electric motor can deliver precise torque at low speeds, improving control in challenging terrain.

Driving Experience.
On the road, the LX Hybrid delivers a smooth and composed ride.

The suspension absorbs bumps well, though it still has a slightly truck-like feel due to its body-on-frame design. The hybrid system adds smoothness to acceleration, especially in stop-and-go driving.

At highway speeds, the LX Hybrid feels stable and quiet, making it well-suited for long-distance travel.

While not sporty, it provides a confident and comfortable driving experience.

Technology and Features.
The 2026 LX Hybrid includes advanced technology throughout.

The infotainment system features a large touchscreen with smartphone integration, navigation, and voice controls. A dual-screen setup separates infotainment and climate functions.

Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera system.

Additional features include a premium sound system, wireless charging, and a 2,400-watt onboard power inverter, which can be used to power external devices.

Interior Space and Comfort.
The LX Hybrid offers a spacious and luxurious interior.

It is available in multiple configurations, including two-row and three-row layouts. Higher trims offer executive seating with advanced comfort features such as massage functions and premium materials.

The cabin is designed for both comfort and durability, making it suitable for long trips and outdoor use.

Cargo space is generous, though slightly affected by the hybrid components.

Trim Levels and Pricing.
The LX Hybrid is available in several trims, including Overtrail+, Luxury, and Executive VIP in Canada.

Pricing typically starts around 119,000 US dollars and increases significantly depending on trim and features.

Higher-end versions can reach well into the premium luxury segment.

Pros.
Strong hybrid performance with high torque.
Excellent off-road capability.
Luxurious and well-built interior.
Improved efficiency over gas-only model.
Advanced technology and features.

Cons.
Very expensive.
Fuel economy improvement is moderate.
Still feels truck-like on pavement.
Heavy and large for city driving.

Final Thoughts.
The 2026 Lexus LX Hybrid is a unique offering in the luxury SUV market. It combines electrification with true off-road capability, something very few vehicles can achieve.

Had to replace my windshield for the 2017 RX350. It has been two weeks today. Giving various reasons for the delay and informed that it will be another 6 days, since the windshield is on back order. Shocked to find out that a Company like Lexus manufactures cars with various computerized options that are in the windshield and not produce extra windshield. Building about 1000 cars a day, can we not produce a few extra windshields. After all windshields crack often. Feeling frustrated. Looked at a Caddy. Maybe American made is better. But that is hindsight.

Showed the service writer Jaime at Pembroke Pines Lexus the center console covering that was cracking and degrading. He wrote up a service order and told me he would contact me in a few days regarding a warranty claim. I called him a week later and he told me that the person that handles warranty claims went on vacation and would be back in a week. I went away and after I returned I called him on February 5th or so. He said he had not heard anything but he would contact the appropriate people and have an answer for me by days end. I told him if I did not hear from him I would be calling Lexus. He assured me he would call that day. I never heard from him.I called Lexus USA and spoke to Ed. He said he would check into it and get back to me by Friday. I missed his call on Friday. He called Tuesday and informed me that as the dealer had told me, the damage as normal wear and tear. I just told him that my family had 4 Lexus automobiles and they would be our last. When you sell a car for $75,000, the interior should last more than 3 years. My previous car was a 2003 Cadillac, cost 1/2 as much and when I bought the Lexus the center console was in better shape after eight years of use than the Lexus is after 3 years. By the way, Ed from Lexus offered to pay for 1/2 the repair. As far as I am concerned the Lexus warranty is only a 1/2 warranty shown by this situation.

You Signed the estimate. What a cheap way to steal money. They charged me Insane for Instaling one tyre. Standard of service had reached from bad to worst. It seems service advisors are forced to Rip every Lexus Owner who walks in. Horrible.... Customers are just a ATM Machine for them..

I turned in a Ram 1500 that was two years older but years advanced on all those features. The ride of the Ram was also much better. My previous four Genesis were also much more friendly.

The Lexus interior fitments are well populated with rich wood and soft leather. The glossy shine of a brand new car rather new or used I have noticed that Lexus brand always are up to date. You can upgrade tires at any time if you ever run into weather events that may need changing of tires quickly. You can rely on the customer service if you ever need help with any model upgrades. When my friends tag along they always complement how spacious it is. Its almost like sitting inside a bus how much space you have to relax and do other things as a passenger.

Great mileage, wonderful ride and a dream to drive. This car drives like a little sports car even though its a hybrid. The steering is tight, I only had it a couple of days when I was cut off on the freeway. I would have been in a major accident had I been driving my old Prius. It handles like a dream. Very small turning radius, which also makes it easier to drive.

When I got it, it was shiny and looked as new as any car Ive ever seen. On the inside I had no problems as it was clean and well kept. My husband says there werent many options for customization or upgrades. He also said that we wouldnt need it anyways because the car is perfect as it is. I only needed 3 seats but there is more room than that so we can put other things in the seats when we arent using them and if we do need the extra seating for whatever reason, we can put the other stuff in the trunk.

I am not employed by Lexus or trying to help them in any way. I am a business owner that has been in the market for a luxury car. I love this website and feel it has prevented me from making a huge financial mistake! I have always wanted an Audi and was close to purchasing their flagship A8. After reading the nightmares of Audi ownership, I started investigating Mercedes and BMW on Consumer Affairs. To make this short, the complaints on Lexus (other than an apparent common problem with their dash cracking) are NOTHING compared to the three German manufacturers! Im seeing complaints on Lexus for using a quart of oil at 120k miles? Transmission complains at 60k? Just saying, read the problems other luxury owners are having, you will feel much better! I still dont know what I will end up dropping $70-$90k on, Lexus seems kind of boring to me, but based on the complaints I am reading about them, I feel it would be a much more reliable option than most..

I am having serious quality issues with my 2005 RX330 SUV. Some of the key problems include the following: 1. The water pump failed at only 65K miles and timing belt and water pump were replaced ($1100+). I drove an Acura for 110K miles without changing either! 2. The headlights cases have been leaking, poor design. 3. Paints are coming out of the door handles. 4. Fused light bulbs and discolored mirrors.5. Low quality rotors and break pads (replacement cost $1000+).I called Lexus HQ, but they will not help or take any responsibility for the engine (water pump issue). They asked me to go to the dealership. So the business model is, Lexus sells you a lemon for a high price and for 5-10 years, you keep going to their dealership and pay to replace low quality parts and labor. So, if you are planning to buy a Lexus next time, think again as I wont do this again!

The same thing happened to me once - I narrowly escaped having my fingers crushed while opening the trunk. I think it re-locks after a certain amount of time, (or maybe my husband re-pulled the opener from the front) but I was about to open the trunk and the latch pulled down again to automatically close. I was grateful I pulled my fingers out just in time and now Im very careful to check that I open the trunk right away. Im also having other issues with my 2003 LS430, like a burning oil smell coming from the engine. I am under 100,000 miles so Im disappointed that I may be looking at something big (and surely costly). I had extended warranties up until last year and each time I brought it in I paid average $2000 AFTER the warranty work. Very disappointed.

I am a current owner and driver of a 2007 Lexus is250. This car was purchased brand new in October 2006 from the Westminster Lexus dealership. Since the very beginning this car has had many problems which include numerous manufacturer recalls. In 2011, shortly before the warranty expired, the navigation unit went out. By the time the car was taken in, it was 60 miles over the warranty miles (Warranty was void because of mileage not years). The dealership said that we would have to pay for the repairs and quoted the repair to be $2,300+. Also around this time, the dashboard began to get sticky. Another repair that would have to be fixed out of pocket. This car has been very well taken care of. We made sure that we followed all the manufacturers recommendations on how to properly care for this car. We have never used any solvent or spray on the dashboard and followed the recommendations to use warm water. A sunshade has been used since the first day to shield the sun away from the dark interior. I have tried countless times to see if any Lexus dealership could help me out because this has to be a manufacturers defect but no dealership has offered to help. I have met several Lexus owners that have experienced the same problems. I have read on online forums even more people from all parts of the United States and in the U.K. who have the same problems. I am not as concerned with the little problems with the car as much as I am with the navigation unit and the dashboard. I finally decided to contact Consumer Affairs after a friend suggested I do. She has a separate problem with her Lexus and said that bringing this to your attention may finally get results. I feel as though buyers of Lexus are getting the short end of the stick. We spend so much money purchasing a luxury car but end up with a defective vehicle that requires more money to fix. Im not even going to go into details about the cars paint.

I purchased brand new RX 350 in April 2012. I thought its time for a new car and I deserved a nice car for working so hard. Ive driven my 02 Civic ever since and had no problems. I noticed my rear driver side mirror looked melted and side panel/spoiler(back wing) had rippled lines. Dealer Modesto and Lexus Corp both deny its under warranty due to possible low effiency windows reflections to my car. Which I baloney. So you are telling me the quality of your car is crap and cannot handle sun/heat? I went to Lexus in another city and the manager said he would replace it under warranty but due to Lexus Corp denying my case he could not order the parts for me. So how can Lexus Corp not help me when another dealership can? If anyone had any similar issues, please let me know/suggestions/opinions on this. Would greatly appreciated. I feel that this is brand new car and should not have any paint/body issues. So paying more doesnt always mean you get good quality or service.

I bought LEXUS LS 460 L 2011 in may 2011 new from Lexus dealer with trade my old RX hybrid 2008. My car break down within one year, Lexus took 18 days to fix it without charging any money from me and said it is under warranty. The same problem came last month including some issue in front end. I still have warranty, they keep my car for 2 weeks, then service advisor call me and told me that Lexus is not fixing the car because they said car has bed GAS, you speak Lexus and give me telephone number. I call Lexus, the lady who has my case said to me that because you using this car as a limousine that is why we decline your warranty. I told the lady that this car and also previous car I was using was limousine and dealer knows because they get me the limousine plate number. Then she said call your insurance. They will cover your car. I call insurance company, they said we only cover body damage, not mechanical problem, then I call Lexus lady again now she said we decline your warranty because you got bed gas, now you go to gas station and sue them, we are not fixing your car.You know why she said that, because they fixed my front end and change one of front air shock and Actuators absorb that is why she cannot denied anymore about warranty. Now I am in problem calling Lexus but not getting any response from them. Please, I request consumer affairs and Lexus head office to take some action, this is very expensive car I bought over $90,000.00 including tax and finance. Thanks.

I have been a loyal customer of Lexus for over 25 years and, generally, very happy with the cars; however, most of them I traded/sold before they were 5 years old. My current car is 2010 Lexus 450H that has less than 75,000 miles and was purchased less than 6 years ago. As usual, I am up-to-date with the maintenance schedule on the car and the maintenance is always performed at the service department of the dealership. A few days back, while driving, I noticed the hazard sign turned suddenly on and check hybrid system was flashing. Among the things that I noticed were the failure of cars cruise control and the SOS light turning red.I immediately took the car to the dealership service department, who diagnosed it as the failure of the airbag ECU. The replacement cost me $995.42. My service consultant at the dealership is a very nice gentleman, who said that there was no specific maintenance for the unit. That suggested to me that the unit on the car was defective and Lexus should be replacing it free of charge, but they did not. I have heard that computer malfunctions are not uncommon on the cars made by Toyota Motors. I am so disillusioned with Lexus that I have decided to take my business elsewhere and never buy another Lexus and, hopefully, convince my friends to do the same.

My Ls has been in Lexus dealer since Dec 5 2016. Today is January 13th 2017 and I have yet to receive my car back. The vehicle needs a new navigation hard drive. I have third party warranty which covered the repair ($1400 part + labor). Prior to getting the warranty I bought new front end suspension parts for the vehicle. ($5,000+ air struts, upper and lower control arms and hardware, sway links etc all Lexus parts all out of pocket expense) I have all receipts for the repairs done and parts bought. My Vehicle had no issue or problems beside the navi when I brought it in for service. My vehicle was dropped off at Lexus on Dec 5 for the hard drive issue and still have yet to be fixed. I received the car back on Dec 27th only because I needed the vehicle for the new year as my loaner was way too small to fit my family in. Is300. (My car was 3 weeks sitting in the dealer parking lot doing nothing but waiting for parts). When I picked it up on the 27th driving back home from the dealer, CHECK HYBRID illuminated. I panicked. I pulled over and called the dealer. No answer. They were closed already. I didnt have this issue before bringing it to the dealer. I didnt worry too much because repairs still wasnt completed and maybe thats what caused the issue so continued on my way home. No problem. My Vehicle was returned on Monday (January 2nd) first thing to complete repair and the battery was diagnosed. Trouble code PA080 hybrid battery failure. Lexus wants $7,800+ to replace battery and my third party warranty covers all hybrid components except hybrid battery. My advisor informed me that I just missed the hybrid warranty period. 8 years/100k. I was informed that the vehicle will not drive for long and will leave me stranded somewhere down the road eventually if I continue to drive it.I travel from Massachusetts to New York often and cannot take that big of a risk. So I Filed a complaint about the battery as well as poor service. Manager Diane ** contacted me 24 hrs later saying she will make the contact with my dealer to see what can be done and speak with her manager. Communication was absolutely horrible. I had to call corporate multiple times just to get a reply. Diane never called me when she said she would. So I called again and they said Oh she left a message for you saying that your dealer will contact you today with a resolution. (One week later) She says Lexus corporate offers me a $300 credit for the inconvenience. I said What? Thats horrible. I drive a Ls600hL. Theres nothing I can get done or buy with that. I took the offer. Only because they wouldnt offer any further assistance. Something was better than nothing. As far as the hybrid battery, I asked her again what can Lexus do about this? She pretended as if this was a new story I was giving her. As if I didnt discuss it before with her. When The initial complaint was filed, it was regarding the hybrid battery. She says she will get back to me. Today Jan 13 2017. Corporate calls me and says they denied my claim for the hybrid battery and wont assist me on it. I have owned a Ls430, Ls460, and now a Ls600hL. Lexus top flagship. Never thought I would get service like this with Lexus. And its sad to say but this will be my Last and FINALE LEXUS.I will not support a company that cannot support the customers. I stood behind you for a number of years and never asked for a thing. Now when I need assistance you send me to hell. I will continue to share this wherever I can so all long term Lexus customers will know that Lexus isnt Lexus no more. So be prepared for anything. I no longer see reliability with Lexus. Thanks for showing me real customer service Lexus!

I have a 2007 IS250. I bought the vehicle brand new. Ive had several issues with this vehicle, for starters the vehicle inside interior is POORLY crafted. The dash is melting, as well as the door panels. Ive had to replace both headlights. I also had minor engine problems which was covered under warranty. Lexus is rated as one of the top vehicles in the country. I would NEVER EXPECT a TOP RATED vehicle as Lexus to have this sort of issue (interior). I find this to be VERY UNFAIR to myself and other consumers who have purchased this vehicle and also experiencing this problem (interior). Lexus REFUSE to order a RECALL on this issue. If I had known the interior on this vehicle was SO POOR I would have never purchased it. If you are thinking on purchasing this model, the model itself is NICE, OTHERWISE, DO NOT PURCHASE. I just would think a company of the sort (Lexus) would do a MUCH BETTER JOB at listening and HANDLING consumers complaints and protecting LEXUS name. I am sure this complaint is not the only complaint on this particular model (IS250). All the other models Im certain DO NOT HAVE this issue so why not place a RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL, AT LEAST THE DASH? Unhappy Consumer. I rate this vehicle???

We took the car to the local dealership in January, August and October asking for them to identify and repair the brake issue. Each time, the dealership told us that they could not find any problems with our brakes without even trying some random things to see if this would fix the issues. Lexus Corporate sent out an inspector to exam our car, but couldnt find anything. Lexus will not help us.On Sunday, November 17th, we were driving back in heavy traffic. The traffic came to a quick stop and my husband again had the same brake issue. Fortunately, he was able to swerve to the shoulder to miss the car in front of him. We are beyond frustrated, as the next time the result could be an accident resulting in an injury or worse. The dealer told us we have exhausted our options with them. Now we have a vehicle which is very scary to drive – especially in heavy traffic or anytime there could be an unforeseen quick stop. We have a very unsafe vehicle that Lexus has turned us away saying they have no more options. However, they didnt even try blowing out the brake lines, adjusting the brakes, reprogramming the ABS - nothing. At this point, I would never buy another Lexus. Good luck if you have any issues.

The car accelerated, the brake didnt work and the car jumped into a planted median full of bushes, trees, and narrowly missed a phone pole by less than 1/2 foot. Only the mud in the median stopped the car. Naturally, I called Lexus and a tow truck was sent. Since that time, the Lexus dealership, JM Lexus, has had that car, inspecting it until December 10, when they called stating that there is nothing wrong with the car and that I should come and pick it up. Absolutely no information was given to me about test results, incorrect information was given to me about anticipated contact dates by Lexus corporate, and even management at the dealership appears to want to avoid any further discussions. In my conversations with Lexus corporate, they have provided minimal information and said the issue has been turned over to legal. In the meantime, I am driving a car that I am petrified to drive. It appears that it will take a product liability lawyer to intervene on my behalf.

My 2008 Lexus Rx-350, the dashboard were cracking and its just only 40,000 miles. And also some of the cosmetic area are started chipping like two side mirror was cracking (clear coated paint) and also the tail back handle has already chipping (clear coat paint) and every time I car wash, the sunroof has also leaking water. But the engine performance were like top of the line. (Acceleration, steering easy to handle - were excellent.)

First off, I LOVE my 2006 RX 330! I have no complaints about the performance of my car. I have been having issues with the paint. Several years ago, I had the paint redone on one of my outside mirrors. Now the clear coat is coming off of both mirrors and all of the handles. Its also beginning to peel from the hood of the car. I have also noticed rust under a couple of the handles. Being that my car is only 8 years old, I feel that there was a faulty paint job from the Lexus company and I would hope that you would offer to pay for this atypical issue.

The Lexus ES350 was top rated for safety and was a Best Buy for 2017. Comfortable and easy to drive, with enough power for emergency situations. I like the rearview camera and lane departure warning systems. The lane departure warning is very helpful, as well as the backup camera. Controls are easy to reach on the dashboard. But I do not like the driver side seat as compared to my BMW seats as it does not hold you in the seat enough. I also dislike the seat headrest as it is too far forward.

I have owned 6 Lexus, previously RX350. This is my first NX and it wont be my last. Its not quite as luxurious as the RX but the price is considerably cheaper. After a few months of driving it I do not miss the RX. Its just a little bit smaller, small enough to make parking easier but big enough to still haul all the things I used to. It drives wonderful, firm yet comfortable. While Ive only had the car a few months, if its anything like my past Lexus, it will be very reliable and maintenance free.

I purchased my 2919 RX450H in December of 2019 off the showroom floor with 250 miles. The first year of having my car, my car shut down on me two times. Both times I was on my way to a patients home. While in route to my clients home I started receiving Hybrid System Malfunction warnings, Pre-Collision Malfunction and Check Engine, immediately after that I received a warning to pull over to a safe place immediately and within .03 miles it automatically shut off without me being able to pull over to a safe place. By the second time, I went into the dealership and I spoke to the GM at the Lexus dealership in Orland about the car being very unsafe for me to drive because I never know when it’s going to just shut down on me and that I would like for Lexus to give me another car exactly like mine. I informed him the only reason I chose Lexus over the other high end cars was due to its safety history. He informed me that the dealership aren’t able to mark my car as a lemon write off only Lexus corporation have the legal right to do that. I contacted Lexus corporation. Filled out all the required paperwork along with the service that had been performed on my vehicle due to my shutting off while driving. I later received a letter stating they reviewed my case. Could not mark my car as a lemon. I’m here to say that my car just shut down on me again for the 3rd time for the exact same reason with only 20k miles on it!! I spoke to the GM at the Lexus dealership in Orland again informing him how upset I am and this is unacceptable and how I can’t believe Lexus isn’t standing behind their brand considering how they brag as being ranked as one of the safest cars on the road! Lexus doesn’t stand by their name and don’t care about their customers safety!! I do not recommend Lexus to anyone if this is how they stand behind their brand!!! I feel like Lexus IS saying “you’re on your own and deal with it”!

I am very disappointed with this so called luxury brand. I have received 3 different recall letters for parts in my IS250. I had to wait over a year for a dashboard and the Lexus reps seem not to have any idea when I be able to replace my door panels. NOW I have to wait for a new a year for an airbag on top of that, thanks Lexus for keeping me safe. I contacted the corporate office and was told that I shouldnt allow people to ride in the front seat of my car, and in the same sentence was told that I may not receive any other notification until the end of the year first on 2017!!! How can such a well known luxury brand be so careless with customers. On top of the that the 3rd rep I spoke to tried to sell me a new model!! First rep hung up on me, 2nd rep stayed silent on the phone like we were high school teenagers, and the 3rd rep tried to sell me a car. I will never purchase or recommend this shady brand to anyone! Having this car has been nothing but a nightmare. Ive also had the same error message come on and the service people have NO CLUE whats causing it, but continue to take my money for diagnoses! When I go in for scheduled service there are never loaner cars, and there have been times where I have been misquoted for services and had to pay more. I am not sure what to do at this point, Lexus has the same problem. Not a Lexus fan any longer. I guess I should start driving Uber since I can only have people in the back seat.

UPDATE ON 11/17/2018: I wrote about our dashboard last year, and just wanted to provide a follow-up. Lexus still has not contacted us to replace our dashboard. That substance, which looks like an excessive amount of Armorall has worsened, and now gives off a hazardous reflection. Also, it now has an unpleasant smell. I was reading the reviews on Consumer Affairs today, and one of the complainants stated, they had the same issue and had their dashboard replaced this year. I called Lexus in Plano, TX, and was told the program to replace the dashboards is over, and it would cost us over $1300 to replace. So, is the program still going on in some areas, but not in others? When I told Lexus how the situation has gotten worse, I was told they understood, but there was nothing they could do. Their vehicle, they made a bad decision on the material used for the dashboards, and still, nothing they can do! I guess we will have to come out of pocket if we want to keep the vehicle. You just have certain expectations from a particular brand. Lexus has really let us down in this matter.ORIGINAL REVIEW: We purchased a used ES350 series in August 2017. In September, we noticed a sticky substance forming on the drivers side of the dashboard and then it spread to the passengers side. I later read that its being called melting dashboard, due to heat, and this is an issue with the ES350. I called Lexus Park Place and was told to bring the vehicle in. The service guy told me, Lexus had a program that was correcting this problem, but for my vehicle, based on VIN #, it was no longer available; for my vehicle, the program expired January 2017. The manager there, advised me to call Lexus Customer Service, which I did. I gave the first person, Andre, all the information, and was told a case manager would call me in 2 business days. When I didnt hear from them by the 4th day, I called and was told none of the information given to Andre was in the system and I had to provide the information again. The case manager, Joy, did call me and I was told there was no recourse. She asked me why did I buy it with the stickiness there? I told her, per the notes given, the damage occurred about a month after purchase. Why would I buy a vehicle with obvious damage!!! She said the previous owner was contacted, but since he didnt bring it in, there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to her manager and was given the name Jennifer. I called Jennifer on 3 separate days, and each time was told she was not available and I was on her schedule to call that day. I have yet to speak to Jennifer.I phoned today and was told the same thing. I told the rep, no reflection on him, but I know she is not going to call because I had been given that line for the last couple of days. Total avoidance. I am very surprised of the way that Lexus is handling this issue. They called the previous owner because there was this melting dashboard issue and they wanted to correct it. Again, this is a used vehicle, I dont know initial location that it came from, but damage didnt appear with the original owner. Im in Texas and the damage has definitely appeared. It was in the plan to replace with original owner and we feel they should still do so. We are very disappointed with Lexus!

After experiencing what I thought was a leak in the sun roof, I found out from the dealership that the SUV had four blocked sunroof drains due to dust, dirt and leaves and a blocked A/C drain caused by a spider making a web. I am in the dealership for all of my regular service checkups and these items are not on the check list of things to look at for each of the required service appointments. I have been told this will cost $9000.00 (this is not in my budget). My insurance company will not pay for this, so I am currently waiting for Lexus Corporate to get back to me. The interesting thing is that in addition to the 3 year warranty, I purchased an additional 3 years for continuity of service. A lot of good that did me.

My conclusion in short: When buying new, do not intend to keep it after war
My conclusion in short: When buying new, do not intend to keep it after warranty expiration. And never buy used. Here is a long explanation. Very expensive parts. Price fells fast. Reason - expensive parts and low demand as many know these are expensive to maintain. 7 small plastic clips fell off from bottom plastic panels. Cost for one clip $10 bucks. Should cost several cents but no more than $1. They are Lexus unique size. Lucky I found aftermarket $1.50 for 10 abroad. Next, Lexus USA does not stand behind its cars. Exhaust rusted out and made the hole right at the place where it makes a turn at 65k miles (?) one week after extended warranty. At this place band was not an option. Cost to replace $2300, $1800 for part itself. Why? Because exhaust and converters are one complete unit. Called LEXUS USA. Response: Our decision is not to cover even though only one week past warranty. Also our records indicate that you later started to replace oil at other places. What oil has to do with bad exhaust? It is our decision. I had many cars over the years including Toyotas and replaced exhaust on many of them. Some at 150k miles and above. Parts were expensive, but not that expensive. In another instance headlight was damaged. Part cost $2000. It has 2 motors in it to adjust in horizontal and vertical plane, but still it is ridiculous price. I am technical and very handy. Always serviced cars myself. My conclusion is that they are reliable, but complicated cars. Chances to fail are greater in this setup. Therefore in my opinion for long term ownership quality and performance is not enough anymore to justify cost of long ownership or Lexus policies. Lease - maybe, but then return and lets Lexus eat them all.

There are a wide number of cars that you can purchase. Whether its a luxury sedan or a rugged SUV... Very sleek and modern looking. It definitely gets noticed by other drivers on the road. Its distinctive appearance makes for a nice overall look. It has very much leg room even in my smaller sedan. A lot of legroom for those in the backseats as well makes for a nice ride. Have plenty of room in the ES to sit 5 without much problem. Im sure a car of this quality can be personalized almost any way that you would want.

Be careful with this problem, I had it happen to me and the dealer said it will likely be a 2500 dollar repair. I went on the net and researched the problem and found it required a software update so I thought 2500 is a bit much so from my computer experiences. I thought a reboot might work so I disconnected the battery cable and left it off for about 10 minutes while I cleaned the cables and posts. Once reconnected, rebooting started and problem fixed proving to me once again that all car dealers are crooks and now Lexus is at the top of all the crooks. It took me about 15 minutes total to do this repair saving me 2500 dollars which equates to 10 thousand dollars an hour at the dealership. They should be arrested for fraud.

Purchased RX 350 used. I was headed to a local eatery when my oil light started flashing. Stopped car and checked oil dipstick which showed dry. I blamed oil change store and added oil and drove the short distance to get there. They went out of their way to show me it was not their fault and show me the problem. Towed vehicle to my mechanic and he changed out broken oil line. Told me that I was lucky that my engine was not destroyed and that the oil line was a defective part waiting to fail. Confirmed by checking complaints on internet. Called Lexus Customer Satisfaction Department and jumped through hoops to send them information to recoup money for my repair. Was sent a reply today saying my vehicle did not meet the criteria for reimbursement under the warranty enhancement. Called Lexus and asked what was the criteria needed for my reimbursement, and was told I was not a loyal Lexus Owner. Was also told I did not take my RX to a Lexus Dealer for the repair, and I was past the 10 year limit for the repair. I purchased the vehicle 2 1/2 years ago with 67,000 miles on it, so it was low mileage and the problem had not shown up yet. I have my own personal mechanic that I have used for the last 10 years, so I did not take my RX to Lexus. How many Lexus vehicles do I have to own to be a loyal Lexus owner, and what does that have to do with a defective part anyway? I will never own a Toyota product again. I bought this Lexus reading the high satisfaction report from Consumer Reports. Please be careful if you buy a Lexus, They may represent themselves as a high-end car company, but a design such as the oil line doesnt represent a luxury car line or the customer support you should expect.

My daughter bought a used 2009 Lexus RX350 18 months ago from CarMax. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle she received a recall notice from Lexus that dashboard needs to be replaced due to cracking. She took her car to the local Lexus dealer in Tampa last July and was told that dashboards were back ordered and they would notify her when her replacement arrived. Within weeks cracks started to appear in her dash. Foam started popping thru the dash. My daughter is in sales and frequently transports clients. Her clients are senior executives at major corporations. They all commented negatively about the dashboard. She has heard that she should have bought a (substitute Audi to VW) as she has heard them all.Her luxury car has become the running joke within her office. She has just been transferred to Houston and isnt taking the car with her as she would have to go the Local Houston dealer and start the waiting process all over again re-registering for the replacement dashboard. She just sold her car back to CarMax for 60% less than she paid for it ($15,000 loss) as they were the only buyer for the car with the volcanic dash.Lexus customer service has been unresponsive responding that the dashes have been slow to ship from Japan and that their hands are tied. Are we really supposed to believe that it takes more than ten months for a dash to ship from Japan? I believe that Lexus isnt taking this recall seriously as they know that the longer they put off replacing the dashboards the less the recall will cost them as cars will be totaled or sold and some owners will simply give up. I have owned 14 Toyota cars and 7 Lexus cars as I am in sales and trade cars at least every two years. I pointed this out to Lexus but they did not care. They point a finger at the dealers and the dealers point a finger at Lexus. The reality is that they are both giving owners the middle finger.

Over 6 months ago I got into an auto accident. After doing some research in my car, I found out that I had EIGHT airbags in just the front seat of my car. An impact such as this should have caused at least one of the airbags deploying.I contacted Lexus about this when my accident happened (back in August of 2013) and they said they would inspect the car. After they inspected my vehicle they said they would get back to me within a month about the results. I waited a month...then two months and called corporate offices. I was told that someone will get back to me. Three months.. Four months... Five months...SIX months and they have neglected to return any emails of mine or even give me an ounce of respect. My car is over $35,000 and to be treated like this makes me sick!!The damages to my car were over $8,000 including all new module systems in my vehicle because they were found faulty. I have all my receipts about my damages and Lexus refuses to even answer me! When it comes to the safety of my children, I do not allow people to push me to the side. Brought it back again, this time they placed a bracket into the panel. Approximately 6 months later, the same issue occurred so I kept pushing the panel back in. In June 2018 I noticed the rear and front bumper panels were worse than ever. Just returned from the dealer and was told at this point there is nothing they can do since this a manufacturing defect that is common with Lexus as well as Toyota vehicles. I was told by Lexus dealership when I purchased the contract that this was no brainer and I would get refund automatically, that Lexus was honest. I just want customers to be aware of fraud at all levels. Thank you.

Because I could not afford a new or near new RX400H, I was treated as if I was a low life and the pretty words from an executive at Lexus headquarters who claimed to represent Mark Templin, the VP of Lexus. I have not even made my first payment on the vehicle I purchased and Lexus wants $2,400 for defective headlight switch and both left and right rear wheel bearings. I have had vehicles well over 200K miles that were SUVs and used off road; this vehicle I purchased never was and these parts have failed. I suggest you never contact Lexus.com because they will never assist you. This was my first and last Lexus product. I was treated as an uneducated fool who is wasting this executives time. I guess he had a golf game or had an appointment for a massage.

I call every few months and get an update. This is a joke. If they cant get the product to do this they should not have sent out a letter saying they would replace. The Dashboard is cracking more and more and I would like to sell the car but it decreases the resale value. I feel this was not a legitimate offer from Lexus since they cant seem to provide the service.

Lexus IS 350 model 2014 - I had an accident on the highway where the right side back tire was punctured and the car has rolled over 5 times. The car was rated as total damage after this accident. The strange thing that Air bag system has not activated as if there was no air bag system in the car. I think this is a major failure in the safety system in this expensive car that has to be known to everyone. For your info this car has run only 15000 kilometers. I have purchased this car from the Toyota dealer in Saudi Arabia on June 23rd, 2014.

I bought a Certified 2004 RX330 from Lexus Clearwater. I bought the car in 06, the SUV had 22k miles, was soon told I needed new tires. Did research as why would I need new tires now, especially on a Certified car, with so little mileage and only two years old. The tires were switched out, they were Cooper tires which arent the tires from the Lexus manufacturer. When I asked Clearwater Lexus about this and told them someone from Tampa Lexus had talked with me about the issue, they said, Why would you listed to Tampa Lexus? They are worse than we are!! I spoke with the corporate office and best they would do is offer new tires at retail - still bogus. Now my dash is cracking and Lexus Tampa said $1900 to replace, and 10% off as I dont service my car there enough for a larger discount. Now the headlights are cloudy and there is a recall, but there are no parts for their own recall just an acknowledgement that there is an issue. I was duped by Lexus, they are horrible. Very sorry I ever bought a car from them. Dealerships should provide an actual printout on how they certify a car, if they had, the tires wouldnt have passed a certification test. Like a home inspection, I want to see levels and percentages of wear and tear and how they could ever pass worn tires as certified. Lexus shmexus. Poor quality, certified means nothing, horrible customer service.

Long story short. Do not buy a 2019 Lexus ES350 F Sport from this dealership or any other in the United States. Their much advertised Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is a fraud on this car model. (“Consumer fraud occurs when a product or service does not perform as advertised”.) The “Road Sign Assist” does not work no matter what you do. Lexus so called “Technology Specialist” and Lexus engineers are unable to fix the problem as of January 9, 2019. I bought a 2019 brand new one for over $50,000 on November 14. 2018 and the system has not worked from day one, even that Lexus advertisement shows a photo showing a red stop sign on the head up. Nice photoshop Lexus. I have been in contact with the Lexus dealership and Lexus Headquarters since I found out the system just does not work, and all I have gotten is a run around. If you want further information feel free to call me.UP-Date: On January 10, 2019 at 11:12 am I received a call from Lexus Escondido Technology Specialist Rick ** telling me that the 2019 ES350 F Sport they sold me does not have the “Road Sign Assist” I paid for even that Lexus advertise it does and all my paperwork on the car says it does. If this is not fraud, I don’t know what is. I will now file a complaint with the California Consumer Protection Agency and the Federal Trade Commission about the deceptive car advertising Lexus is doing.

I had a life threatening experience while on a trip to Connecticut. I had the Invacare plugged into the cigarette lighter and the end melted and couldnt be used at all. I purchased a brand new 2015 Lexus IS 250 in the South Atlanta Dealership.
I purchased a brand new 2015 Lexus IS 250 in the South Atlanta Dealership. I cant complain about Bryan, the person who sold it to me. He was great. Now I had to bring it in for my first free 5000 miles service. I drove 1 1/2 to Atlanta thinking they were going to do the first oil change. When I get there they tell me it is not for an oil change. That my vehicle because it is the F Sport doesnt require an oil change until it reaches 10,000 miles so all they did was check the fluids and the minimum service supposedly required. Now I just took it in for my 10,000 mile service and they do the first oil change. I ask Colby what oil they use, the blend or the full synthetic and he tells me he used the full synthetic. The full synthetic would not require me to change the oil until the following 10,000 miles but when I leave the dealership and I look at the sticker they place on the windshield I notice it requires me to change the oil in the next 5,000 miles. I do not understand. So I am guessing they used the blend and not the full synthetic. Not only that, when they give me the paper stating the car was complete and I go out to get my car I see a young gentleman jump in my car and drive off on it. I ask one of the person at the service desk why did they take my car again and she starts trying to contact and find out who had it. A couple of seconds passed and here they bring it back to me. As the young gentleman comes out of my vehicle he states he had left something inside my vehicle and had to get it, but why just not open the vehicle and take whatever item he had left inside instead of driving off on it? Now 10 days later my maintenance light comes on stating my car is due for an oil and filter change. I called the Lexus service department and they tell me they forgot to do the reset and that is why the light was coming on so they guide me on how to do it through the phone. I am really disappointed about the service provided here. Dont know if they just didnt care because it was the first 2 free services provided to me. Honestly I love my Lexus but I am not sure if I will drive another 1 1/2 to just get a poor service done on my vehicle. Will probably just use a Toyota dealership here in my area.

These comments are to reinforce other postings about the inflated reputation of Lexus vehicles for reliability. We currently own a RX 330 and IS 350. The RX had a transmission seal fail at 70,000 miles and the water pump on the IS 350 failed after 34,000 miles. Both vehicles were out of warranty when these failures occurred, but given the low mileage, I contacted Lexus Service to request help covering the cost of repairs. They politely declined. I am writing this to warn any prospective luxury car buyers that in my experience the Lexus reputation for reliability is not justified. The additional premium we pay for their vehicles compared to other regular brands is not warranted. I will never buy another Lexus again.

The dash started developing very fine hairline cracks about a year ago. Over the last month the cracks have gotten much worse. I have seen even picked up small foam pieces on the floor coming from the dash. It is a real shame since I otherwise like this car. I have informed LEXUS Customer Service via e-mail with pictures about this quality problem and they asked me to take the car to a dealer for evaluation. The dealers replacement estimate was $2519.00. I informed customer Service about the cost and was told that the car was out of warranty... They did not have to offer anything to get it fixed but will give me 25% off the repair. This would still cost me $1889.25, totally unacceptable. I have owned many cars brands in the past and none of them ever had a quality issue like this. When buying a very expensive car anyone expects top quality. I do not understand is why there is such a big cost difference between various dealers for the same repair (based on other posts). Recent history shows that Toyota is reluctant to stand behind their products and if there is a class action lawsuit, I would like to know how to join. Unless Toyota comes forward with a better offer this will be the last car I have bought from them.

I recently purchased my 2019 GX 460 Lexus from Lexus of Pembroke Pines. I have returned it twice, with complaints that the Navigation is not working correctly. Each time I take it back they insist that It is functioning like the other vehicles that they have in stock. Which is unacceptable. The Navigation system gives the wrong directions. For example, If I am traveling and the expressway, it doesnt recognize that I am on the expressway and tells me that the expressway is approaching on the left, then 1 mile later, it will say the expressway is approaching in the right; when in fact, I am traveling on the expressway.Yesterday, it gave me the wrong directions and I ended up under a bridge, completely lost. This is very frustrating and is a safety concern. I have been advised by an attorney to take the vehicle back once more, and if the problem is not resolved, I will be forced to take legal action. I am certain that there are numerous consumers there with the same complaint.

NEW LEXUS CUSTOMER HERE: I recently bought a brand new 2019 RX350 F Sport and from day one experienced regret from the dealer experience to service. On the night I purchased it, the dealer manager rushed delivery and felt like they gave me a car that was sitting on the lot for a while. The tires were improperly inflated and I had PSI issues right away in 60 degree weather as well as Glue left over on the hood from delivery. There were also other issues popping up like rattles in the door that wouldnt go away to a loose ECU mount in the dash and ICS system failures for no reason. They opened up these areas within 2 days of owning the car. The service tech who rode with me to test the car was also rude and claimed he didnt hear the noises. However, they did find issues and attempted to rectify. The service department rep encouraged me to contact Lexus Corporate and I did. They were nice and ultimately with these issues escalated it to the Eastern Regional Office. That office contacted me to fax or mail over paperwork to aid in their review of my case. I did and when I called to confirm receipt of my fax, I received a condescending call from a woman named Karen who was very rude to me and told me that I had threatened her receptionist on the phone earlier because I mentioned I was encouraged by others to post my issues with Lexus on social media. I was so appalled by Karens call and made sure to call Corporate to file a complaint. Im so disappointed by Lexus and their service that my joyous new car experience is gone. They make good cars but for me, customer service is very important. For these reasons alone, I dont recommend Lexus.

With 89000+ miles, I was told the timing cover gasket was leaking and to replace it would cost $3000+ because the engine must be pulled. I asked what type of gasket would be replaced. The service manager stated that a liquid gasket would be replaced and that Lexus does not use a fiber gasket. He also stated that the liquid gasket melts from the heat of the engine and causes the leak which happens quite often. When I checked Toyota I found the company uses a fiber gasket on their timing cover. This is a definite design flaw in the RX 350. No doubt the melting of the liquid gasket contaminates the oil. Because of the risk of the leak to happen again, as soon as I can afford it, the RX 350 will be traded for a Toyota. It proves that Lexus vehicles are high maintenance and too expensive to own.

My car is towed to the dealership. And I heard that my cars engine is broken and it needs to replace to the new engine. It is totally unfair to pay for replace the new engine. My previous car was Acura. The reason why I switched to Lexus is the Lexus engine is very strong and they always goes to million mileage. Now, I totally regret to switch to the Lexus.I heard that something was exploded inside of the engine. And something broke the engine and it popped out from the engine. I have a 2008 RX350 with 54K miles. I had a couple of problems within its 4 -year warranty. One was to replace the oxygen sensor. Another one was to add more Freon (AC not cool enough). Now I have two other problems. Last month I had a flat tire and tried to use the lift jack provided to lift the car. The jack cant stand straight and will crush. This is very dangerous if you just remove the flat tire and your car will crush to the ground. I never saw such issues with Honda accord and Ford Taurus previously. I am considering to buy a floor jack. The rubber boot on rear strut was broken after just three and half years, it was still in warranty but I forgot to bring it to dealer for repair, due to some hardship of my personal life at that time. And the cars are durable! These cars are beautiful. The bodies are sleek, yet built to stand any kind of unexpected damage. These vehicles always seat as comfortably as you would assume. If you have children, rest assured they will be safe and have enough room to stretch out in the back seat area. I bought a brand new 2017 LS 460 an $80,000+ car. I purchased it because Ive had multiple German cars Mercedes and BMW and felt they spend too much time in the repair shop. Well it didnt get much better with my new Lexus. Keep in mind Lexus doesnt have the extra bells and whistles of the German cars so I hoped by buying a Lexus the German car money would go for absolute best build quality and reliability. Right? Keep it simple, make everything out of the best. I should only have to see my dealer for regular scheduled service. I was definitely wrong about that. Ive been in 7 times in 3 months. Ive owned it and theyve fixed nothing. Theyve identified issues but fixed nothing and scratched my rear leather and scratched my dash during a detail. Oh and forgot to clip my rear all-weather floor mat down after a detail so it got caught in my seat rails and ruined my floor mat. It was clipped when I dropped it off.Anyways on top of the dealer not caring for your car if you contact Lexus directly, they dont call you back or they tell you they cant do anything for you. You ask the rep to speak with their supervisor, they say they are as high up in Lexus as you can go and there is nobody else you can speak with. I just dont know what to do. I regret buying a Lexus and Ive only had it a few months. I feel Ive put a good amount of miles on loaner cars. Honestly whenever my German cars broke for example I had a 2016 BMW Z4, whenever I brought it in for service they took care of the problems the first time and always cared about my car. I never got my car back in unsatisfactory condition and they put out the extra effort to diagnose it to fix it correctly. I have yet to receive that kind of service from Lexus. When I brought it in for the scraping noise the dealer said we hear it but we cant find it so youll just have to keep driving it until whatever it is fails. Wait what? I have to drive my brand new $80,000 car until it fails? What kind of work is that. So I called Lexus directly and they told me they side with their franchise dealers diagnosis of the problem. Ill just have to wait, or I can go to another dealer. Im hesitant to go in about the oil burning smell because I want it fixed. I dont want to have a car that I have to wait till it runs out of oil before theyll fix it.Things wrong with the car to date: Rear interior trim/headline piece broke and fell off at 600 miles (although nobody has been in the back seat), plastic trim on dash under stereo warping at 1300 Miles, headliner around sunroof cover coming unglued and snagging on cover at 1400 miles, rough idle at 2300 miles, scraping sound when ambient temperature is below 70 degrees when engine running and driving at 4500 miles still undiagnosed, confirmed but undiagnosed by the dealer, oil burning smell and engine cutting out and surging at 6400 miles need to make a service appointment for this latest disappointment.

The other vehicle involved airbag(s) did deploy.I contacted Lexus and gave them permission to inspect the data image on the vehicle to let me know why the airbags did not deploy. As of October 21 2016 I have not heard anything from them. I have contacted Customer service several times but did not get any information. The vehicle has been towed to a totaled lot. I am an owner of 2006 GX 470 with a dashboard full of cracks. I received notice in July of 2015 that the dashboard replacement will be covered under an extended warranty Lexus must have created because of the volume of complaints received by other owners. My directions were to contact the local dealer, Wilde Lexus of Sarasota, Florida and register my VIN number and name and the dashboard would be replaced sometime in the first quarter of 2016. Today, Sept. 26, 2016 I called Wilde Lexus to get another update and Im told I am 9th on the list. Funny, because my last inquiry, I was 6th on the list. The service rep. had no excuse for this. So I asked what I could expect and she had no idea. She said the last shipment of dashboards was in July 2016 and nothing since.I then called Lexus Corp and spoke with a customer rep who knew even less. In fact she said dealers are getting a couple of dashboards weekly and the manufacturer is not keeping up with demand. She has NOOOO estimate or timeline to share with me. I told her Wilde Lexus has not received a shipment for over 2 months and they have no idea when to expect another. This is very poor customer service on behalf of the Corporate Lexus. I dont have an issue with Wilde, in fact they are great with service and maintain a high customer satisfaction level, in this case its corporate whos letting down their customers. Im not sure I would buy another Lexus because of this... however Wilde has a Jaguar, Honda, Rover, and a few other brands that I would consider over Lexus.

I loved my Lexus. They have many different models for many types of people. I needed one to fit my family, and it works well for us. The Lexus was easy to clean. It was very sleek and even though it was older, it still managed to always have a new appearance. The passenger capacity fit all five of my family members. My children were not squished and sat very comfortably even with their car seats and booster seats. Very luxurious car. I have had many people compliment my car. I have not upgraded yet, but I am now looking to buy a new Lexus with new features. I will find out more features from the dealership. I cant wait for the new technologies they have put into such a great car. We are now selling this model, but we will be looking for another Lexus.

We leased a new 2018 NX300 at the beginning of April 2018 in Kingston Ontario Canada this year and in August while driving to town my wife hit a deer taking out the grill and camera, etc. It is now November and its still not fixed. The reason: parts on backorder. How can a brand new vehicle have parts on backorder? First a fog light, then an electronic component for the lane departure. The list goes on. Four months to repair a vehicle due to parts on backorder. The local dealer wont answer my emails, wont answer my phone calls all because Im getting upset with how this is handled and the length of time it takes. Not to mention Im paying a lease on a vehicle we cant access. We made the mistake of leasing two Lexus vehicles but I promise this will be rectified when the lease concludes. ILL NEVER LEASE ANOTHER LEXUS ANYTHING.

My 2007 IS250 started showing signs of being wet and sticky on the dash and the door panels. I come to find out, there is a TSIB on this that covers vehicles 4 yrs/50,000 miles. Well, it didnt start happening until 5 yrs/60,000 miles for me. Lexus corporate offered to cover dash 100%, door panels 50%, but not any labor. The dealer didnt budge on labor either. Total cost to me would be $2,431. That is roughly 10% of the value of the car. Thats too much to have to spend to repair a 5-year old luxury car that has a known defect. Attached is the TSIB and some photos. I have also been met with rude customer service from Dave ** from JM Lexus. This experience has changed me from being a lifetime Lexus owner to looking at trading in my car for something other than a Lexus.

I have been a customer of Lexus for 12 years, this is my last car with them. They are rude, non-accommodating, and flat out lie. Seems there is no point in having a recorded line because clearly if its not to their benefit it is non consequential. They call about important matters, from random ** phone numbers and NEVER leave a voicemail, and months later state we tried contacting you!!! I am a professional, I dont have time for mediocrity. I will never purchase another Lexus, nor will I ever again recommend them to my colleagues.

I own a 2008 Lexus IS 350. My navigation system went out after three and a half years and Lexus said that since I was over the three-year warranty period, they would not replace it. I would have to pay $1,900.00. I find this ridiculous and when I called the Lexus Client Service Assistance, they offered little help. How can you own a car for only three and a half years and have your navigation system screen not work and not have it covered by such an elite car company? I cannot use the touch screen at all and Lexus has still yet to contact me after my complaint.

I purchased 2011 Lexus ISF used with 18K miles. From day 1 I heard rear noise at the right side. They told me they will take care of it by replacing the struts but they need the extended warranty approval. Finally they did after waiting for 1 week, but the noise still remain. Then I have to bring it again for another check with their great master technicians. Then they said need to replace the struts again in case it is DOA, then they changed it again after waiting for another approval, but the noise still there. Then I asked them to bring their expert FTS from somewhere to look at the car. Maybe he can figure it out. Then after he looked at it, he said this is within operating spec - normal noise, and handed me car keys. I then asked them what is the spec? Is all the cars have this noise. They will not talk to me anymore. They were very rude and not respectful to customers. I will escalate to the corporate and to Lexus japan as well to maybe someone care about their car repetition name and business. I will try to reach out to the owner of Lexus of austin that she may need to know about her bad customer service and the poor service she got in her store.

I was looking for a nice sedan, and all the options available really blew me away. Very glad that I had decided to go with Acura over other options that were out there. A major selling point for me was the quality and sturdiness of the power windows. I was looking for something that will last me and not cost an arm and a leg when they break down so frequently. Ive had motors for windows go bad in several of my previous cars, so it was a must to find a brand with quality power windows. The windows work really well. The car is mainly for myself so I could really care less about the space, but if I do ever have passengers, Im pretty certain they will be very comfortable and that is awesome. I believe I will be staying with Acura the next time I am shopping for a vehicle.

We HAD (with emphasis) a 2018 Lexus GX 460 with only 27,000 miles on it when the alternator decided to completely fail. We live in a very remote area in the summer that is not close to a Lexus dealership so we had a local mechanic replace the alternator. When we returned to our main residence in Florida we took the vehicle to the dealership we purchased it from for a checkup and presented them the bill for replacing the alternator. The service representative said they would submit it to Lexus for reimbursement and we should get a check within a few weeks. Weeks passed and finally, we received a call from our rep saying we would have to deal directly with Lexus Corporation. The corporate office made us jump from hoop to hoop while knowing full well they had no intentions of reimbursing us because we didn’t use a “certified Lexus mechanic”. Lexus has always touted themselves as a “customer comes first” company. Clearly, these core values have gone by the wayside. Additionally, their quality control that they have always prided themselves in has totally gone down the tubes. After reading all these negative reviews I can see I’m not the only one who has issues with this company. We will not be buying any more Lexus vehicles in our lifetime and many of our friends who own a Lexus will hear our story. Sadly Lexus will be keeping OUR $921.97. They apparently will need it to keep their head above water from all of their problems.

Dashboard cracked right after Lexus warranty ran out and they will not replace. It’s ghastly looking and scary dangerous, but they don’t care. I have sent them photos and all they do is continue tell me that case manager said we were not eligible. It’s our 5th Lexus and we cannot believe they are not replacing. Worst customer service ever. There was a huge class action case that they never sent us a letter about.

I bought a new 2013 Lexus ES350 last year, and was very excited. It was my first luxury car indulgence. Im 63 years old, and recently retired. Mechanically, the car ran and drove great. But, the lack of common sense creature comforts in the front cabin became such an irritation that I ended up trading it in - even though I took a depreciation hit of over $15K. Here are the specifics:1) It is very difficult to exit the car. The low ground clearance was difficult for me, especially since I have some hip issues. The other factor is that the door does not have an intermediate stop position. So, when you open it, it will tend to start closing on you. Many times I had to kick the door to keep it open, just so I could get out. You learn to do this after it shuts on your leg, which is quite painful. This was an issue for the passengers as well. In addition to just being annoying, the bottom door panel became filthy from all of the foot prints.2) There is ZERO convenient storage in the front cabin. I do a lot of detail work in the car, and just need a flat surface to put stuff down. If you look at the console closely, you will see that there is no flat area at all to put anything. The main console storage area crowns in the middle, and is back too far to be useful as a surface. The navigation joystick occupies the right hand side of the console. The shift lever occupies the left hand side. The beverage holder at the front has a sloped cover. The drivers side beverage holder is typically open, because thats the only place you can put your fob/phone/etc. There are no pockets or storage holes in the side of the center console. The end result is that a lot of stuff ends up dropping down between the console and the seat.3) If something does drop down between the console and the seat, there is no convenient way to retrieve it. The only way is to get out of the car, move the seat all the way forward (very slowly because it is a power seat), then open the rear door, get on your knees and reach under the seat from behind. Because of the power seat mechanism, you cant reach under from the front. Try this outside in 100+ degree heat, and it gets very old very fast. Especially when what you dropped is your key fob.4) This leads to my main complaint: The railings under the seats have not been machined, and have very sharp edges. After suffering my third very serious gash on my hand trying to retrieve what fell between the seat and the console, I just lost it. I traded it in not three days later.5) There is no place to put your phone - or even a sunglasses compartment above the rear view mirror. The only place to put stuff is in the drivers beverage compartment. Its like they went out of their way to remove any convenient storage and/or work area.I know to many, these complaints will seem petty. I guess if you drive a luxury car you shouldnt be concerned with these types of issues. But, after a year of putting up with kicking the door open, dropping stuff between the seat and the console, and getting blood all over my shirt and pants, I just couldnt take it anymore.

I made a huge mistake buying a Lexus, I thought if I bought the most expensive model I would be happy. Boy was I wrong. For the past 20 months (16000 miles) this car has had nothing but problems and has spent more time in the dealership than on the road. In the first 3 months the transmission went, car would not move. They replaced it and all seemed well, until it started having problems starting. Once in awhile the car would crank and not start. I sent it back to the dealer and they never found a problem with the car. This has happened at least 7 times in the last year. At least they tow it for me for free. Last week the gauges just started going berserk so they are looking at that now, while I am again in a rental car. Other problems have been with the windows, the brake system, and the air conditioning. I am trying to get a refund under the lemon law, so I can get a BMW or a Mercedes. Never again will I buy one of these cars.
