2026 Lexus LC
Find big savings on Lexus Automobile(s) at Auto Helpers. Low Prices.
The 2026 Lexus LC remains one of the most visually striking and emotionally engaging vehicles in Lexus’s lineup. For 2026, the LC continues largely unchanged, refining what has already proven to be a unique combination of exotic design, grand touring comfort, and naturally aspirated performance.
Overview and Positioning.
The LC sits at the top of Lexus’s coupe range, serving as a flagship grand tourer rather than a pure sports car. It is designed for drivers who value style, craftsmanship, and a refined driving experience over outright track performance.
Unlike many competitors that focus heavily on speed and aggressive dynamics, the LC emphasizes balance. It blends performance with comfort, making it ideal for long-distance driving while still delivering an engaging experience behind the wheel.
Design and Exterior.
The 2026 LC is widely regarded as one of the best-looking cars on the road.
Its design stays very close to the original concept car, with dramatic proportions, a low stance, and flowing lines that give it an almost sculptural appearance. The long hood, short rear deck, and wide body create a classic grand touring silhouette.
The signature spindle grille dominates the front end, flanked by sharp LED headlights. At the rear, slim taillights and integrated exhaust outlets complete the design.
Every angle of the LC is designed to stand out. It is not a subtle car, and it attracts attention wherever it goes.
Interior and Craftsmanship.
Inside, the LC showcases Lexus craftsmanship at its highest level.
The cabin features hand-stitched leather, Alcantara, and high-quality materials throughout. The design is driver-focused but still comfortable for passengers, with a cockpit-like layout that enhances the sense of connection to the car.
Attention to detail is exceptional, with unique elements such as sculpted door panels and carefully designed controls. The interior feels more like a luxury lounge than a traditional sports car.
While the front seats are spacious and supportive, the rear seats are very limited in space and are best used for small items or occasional passengers.
Powertrain and Performance.
The LC is offered with two distinct powertrains.
The LC 500 is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine producing around 471 horsepower. This engine is a highlight of the car, delivering a smooth and linear power curve along with a distinctive and engaging sound.
The LC 500h is a hybrid model that combines a V6 engine with an electric motor. It produces a combined output of around 354 horsepower and focuses more on efficiency while still providing respectable performance.
Both versions are rear-wheel drive, reinforcing the car’s sporty character.
Acceleration in the V8 model is strong, with 0 to 100 kmh times in the mid-4-second range. The hybrid version is slightly slower but offers improved fuel efficiency.
Driving Experience.
The LC is designed as a grand tourer, and its driving experience reflects that.
It delivers a smooth and composed ride, even on long journeys. The suspension is tuned to absorb road imperfections while still maintaining good body control.
Steering is precise and well-weighted, providing confidence without being overly aggressive. The car feels stable at high speeds and comfortable during extended drives.
While it is capable of spirited driving, it is not as sharp or focused as dedicated sports cars. Instead, it excels as a refined and enjoyable long-distance cruiser.
The V8 model, in particular, adds an emotional element through its engine sound and power delivery, making it a favorite among enthusiasts.
Technology and Features.
The 2026 LC includes modern technology, though it is not as tech-heavy as some newer competitors.
The infotainment system features a touchscreen interface with smartphone integration, navigation, and voice controls. Lexus has improved usability compared to earlier versions.
Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and parking sensors.
Additional features include a premium Mark Levinson audio system, dual-zone climate control, and available head-up display.
Fuel Efficiency.
Fuel economy varies depending on the powertrain.
The V8 model prioritizes performance and sound, resulting in higher fuel consumption. The hybrid model offers significantly better efficiency, making it a more practical option for daily use.
Pricing and Trims.
The LC is available in coupe and convertible versions.
Pricing typically starts around the mid-100,000 dollar range and can rise depending on options and trim packages.
Special editions and customization options can further increase the price.
Pros.
Stunning and unique design.
High-quality interior craftsmanship.
Naturally aspirated V8 with engaging sound.
Comfortable and refined grand touring experience.
Hybrid option for improved efficiency.
Cons.
Limited rear seat space.
Not as sporty as some rivals.
Infotainment system is not class-leading.
High price point.
Final Thoughts.
The 2026 Lexus LC stands out as a rare and distinctive grand touring coupe in today’s market. It offers a blend of luxury, performance, and design that few vehicles can match.

Lexus RX350 is very reliable and comfortable machine. Handles well, quiet interior, and no maintenance issues. The interface to the control screen menu and Nav is very good. This interface was the least obtrusive and less distracting than many other vehicle’s systems which use a distracting round knob. My only suggestion would be to move the driver’s auto-window controls so that the front windows align with my left hand. These window controls are slightly off and result in the wrong window opening or closing. Overall a very above average car.
My Lexus car is small black and gray and red from the inside which I think is amazing because of the colors because I dont see a lot of people with the same colors. I feel like it is one of the most beautiful cars in the world just from its appearance. I would not buy any other car that looked different. I think I am the richest person on earth just looking at my car. It works amazing and I think that it is the best car ever and that everyone should buy one someday or you might not be lucky because of its upgrades and personalization options. However, I dont like how there is only 2 seats but I wish there were 4 to 5 to make more people sit in the car of amazingness. I also like how there is two seats because it drives faster and it is more customized.
First... Let me say that my Lexus dealership is fantastic. They were available and worked hard to solve my problem. That being said... My problem was with Lexus Roadside Assistance Program. At 6 pm I hit a rather large pothole with my CT200 which resulted in a flat tire. I got myself to a place out of traffic and called my dealership who told me I could call Lexus Roadside Assistance and gave me the # and transferred me. The call rang and rang... Finally someone picked up... Asked me if I was in a safe location (I responded yes) and said ok... She was going to place me back on hold, they just wanted to initially make sure I was not in an accident and was in a safe location. (My impression was high... Its a good process).I was then on hold for 20 minutes! I hung up and called back... Went through the same process... Another 15 minutes later I repeated my process and when the safety person answered the phone I asked him to please not put me on hold that I had been waiting for a while to speak to someone. He arrogantly told me that my situation was not priority and they were getting slammed with accidents and put me on hold.I called my dealership for advice... They were baffled and suggested I call AAA... I also ask them if the service manager who has ALWAYS been helpful, could give me a call when he got a chance. I hung up and called AAA and placed the request. In the meantime the service manager got hold of someone at Roadside Assistance and conferenced them in to me. At first the client service rep was seemingly irritated, but then calmed down and took my information and told me hed call AAA. I told him I had already done that. I must say that the ticket placed by Lexus was answered prior to my personal call to AAA, which is another matter, but I waited and AAA showed up and took care of my problem. While this is not as big an issue as others have had and I was not in danger... Merely irritated... I do have to speak to their customer service representatives and the process they have in place. They do have a system to find out the urgency of each callers situation, however, from a provider of high end luxury cars, the service seemed to stop there. Perhaps those who were having a true emergency received stellar service, but I should have too. Once it was determined that I was safe I shouldnt have had extended wait time to speak with someone... I was a woman, alone in a disabled car, in a not perfect location at dark. I should not have had to wait for over an hour to finally get in touch with someone for assistance.I would have preferred that Lexus process took into account that everyone calling them needed to be attended to in a timely fashion. It seems they have attempted to create a process, it just doesnt work well for non-emergency consumers.
In March 2016 I had a blowout on my way to Florida with my 2010 Lexus. A near tragedy since I had to pull off onto a very narrow shoulder of the road with semis passing at 70 miles per hours. Two months later my tire dealer told me two my tires Bridgestone Turanza with less than 20,000 were in need of replacement. When I purchased this certified pre-owned Lexus from Lexus of Englewood NJ, I was informed that all 5 tires were new. In 35 years I have not had tires that have worn out in less than 35-40,000 miles. As a result I contacted the manager of pre-owned sales at Lexus of Englewood and told him I did not believe the tires had been replaced at the time of my purchase of the vehicle. He promised to look into the matter and get back to me. That was in May 2016. I have heard nothing. I next wrote to Lexus Customer Service with the same complaint in June 2016 but have heard nothing from them. Finally, I wrote to Jeff Bracken, Group Vice President and General Manager of the Lexus Division, with the same complaint and requested the courtesy of a reply. That was in late June and I have received no response.
I bought 2006 RX 330. The car has 49K miles. The dashboard cracked at several areas. Contact Lexus. They told me the warranty is done and there is nothing they can do.
Called in yesterday to a Brisbane Lexus dealer to get a value on my 2017 Lexus ES350. The vehicle is 27 months old, in pristine condition, has just had its 2 year service and has under 18,000 klms on the clock. I was offered in the low $30k should I want to sell it. WOW! How can a vehicle be devalued by over 50% in just over 2 years? No wonder buyers are looking more to buying demo or second-hand vehicles. Maybe it would make good financial sense to check the resale value of BMW, Audi or Mercedes before looking at a Lexus. I am still in a state of shock!
If I could rate 0 stars I would. I lease a Lexus IS300Fsport, I have had it for about 1 1/2 years now and I have had several issues with my car and Lexus does not care about trying to fix my problems. Ill start with when taking it in for oil change and regular service I advised them that my rear passenger tire had a problem because it was losing air and I was having to fill the tire every two weeks. I was told on 3 separate occasions there was nothing wrong with the tire. In December on my way to a meeting 2 hours away from home on the Turnpike I had a blow out on that tire. As of today I am still waiting for the service manager of the Fort Pierce location to call me back. When taking the car to a tire place I was informed that all 4 tires needed to be replaced as they were all cracked/dry rotted. This car is only 1 1/2 years old and has 25,000 miles. I was then shown that I needed brakes in the front. I spent $1,700.00 for tires and brakes on a new car. I have had many cars in my time and have never had to replace tires and brakes that soon and that low mileage. When I called the corporate office their response was that it was not uncommon. How is that even possible. They had no interest in helping me. On December 25, 2019 I got in the car to find a very nasty wet odor, I proceeded to feel the carpets and found that the passenger back carpet and under the seat was very wet, I dropped it off to the Kendal dealership as I was down there and going out of town. They had my car for 17 days. Never called to update me about the car nor called at any time to tell me what they were trying to do. I called every two days and got no information. After 17 days they called to tell me that they could not find anything and that I needed to pay them because they took the passenger seat out (without calling me to let me know this). By the way the car is under warranty. After 17 days I picked up my car with the same wet smell and wet carpet with them telling me I must have left a window open which I did not! They would not even dry it out for me which I asked them to do so that I could see if it happened again. I left the dealership and noticed that the cover plate underneath the car was not attached and was dragging, I went right back for them to tell me that it was not a big deal. It just needed to be clipped on, well why would the service person not do that before taking the car down off the lift. I then get home and it was dark at this point, but the next morning I woke to see that my driver side rim is destroyed!! I called the dealer immediately to advise them of this for them to tell me the manager was on a business trip and would return Saturday 1/18. I am at this point still waiting for him/her to call me back to discuss this matter. This is a lease and I can not turn the car in with a destroyed rim nor do I want to drive a $50,000 car that is only 1 1/2 years old with a destroyed rim. I am so disappointed in Lexus product but even more so with their staff/managers at more than one location. I would advise anyone thinking of getting a Lexus to spend your money elsewhere. I have been the owner of very expensive sports cars and have never had problems like this. The worst part is that Lexus does not even care! I guess that is what you can do when you are such a big cooperation. My daughter in law was either buying my lease out when it came time or getting a Lexus. I have advised her not to do either.... Very unhappy customer!
I purchased a 2007 IS250 new...I recently sold it seven years new with only 90,000 miles on it. I was very faithful in the maintenance of my car. I received a notice from Lexus saying if my cars idol changed or seemed different, to bring it in and they would check to see if car stored any codes and if it had they would fix it. Although they never did say what may be causing the misfiring!? My car never stored any codes although it did at times feel as though it was going to die, and after speaking to others about situation, I found out that they too had a Lexus with same issue that never stored any codes. The two people that I know personally and on a regular basis have had their pistons replaced by Lexus at no charge and this is the same thing that was wrong with my car. I did not wait to see when Lexus headquarters would ok my local Lexus dealership to repair pistons in my car. I got rid of car that I should have owned for another seven years and another 90,000 miles!! It is unfortunate that Lexus is sweeping under the rug that these cars have piston issues and that the piston issue can create other issues with the cars. I can write forever about all the other issues that it caused me and two other people I know. If I ever find that there is a class action suit I will be including myself in that suit. I now have a new car and a new payment. My Lexus was paid off when I bought it new. And, of course I shouldnt have a new car or a new payment as again I shouldve owned my Lexus for seven more years and 90,000 more miles!! I did not buy a Lexus and I will never buy a Toyota product again );
I wanted a certain blue color but there were not many choices. I wouldve gotten a different car that came in the color I wanted but my husband insisted on getting a Lexus. When I got it, it was shiny and looked as new as any car Ive ever seen. On the inside I had no problems as it was clean and well kept. My husband says there werent many options for customization or upgrades. He also said that we wouldnt need it anyways because the car is perfect as it is. I only needed 3 seats but there is more room than that so we can put other things in the seats when we arent using them and if we do need the extra seating for whatever reason, we can put the other stuff in the trunk.
Leased 2017 GX 460 white SUV. Paint discoloration, and the called “leather” seats are crap. They are stained and the dealer cleaned the seats and now I got pieces missing. I’ve never been so disappointed and upset. So besides the above mentioned. They installed two TV’s on each seat and there’s a huge color difference between the top headrest where the TV are installed and the actual seat. I always owed the TVs that come installed from the manufacturer not aftermarket by Lexus. So when we take the car for the scheduled maintenance now if you need a loaner it takes 3-4 weeks for the Lexus dealership to give an appointment date. To top it out they don’t wash nor vacuum the car.Basically, you are better off going to the Hyundai, Honda or Kia dealership. Pay way less and get excellent customer service and no stress. Trust me Lexus IS way overpriced for the quality. Example. My friends wanted a Lexus just like ours but they started noticing all the defects and they got an BMW SUV. You should see the difference. First in the customer service was excellent and the luxury and technology of the car. Lexus are all outdated and with many issues on quality. There’s something serious going on with the quality control department. Reported all and they promised me back in November, then in December to order me a black on black Lexus. The pigeon died on the way! It’s August and nothing. And we have been dumb enough to recommend family and friends to the torture and they have done business but consideration for us. Watch when my lease is over that I’ve driven that nasty looking car how the black on black will magically appear but to their surprise they lost another customer. Last Lexus that I purchase or lease.
I took my 2010 Lexus IS250 to the Wilkie Lexus in Ardmore Pa. for the 60,000 mile service. They called after looking over my car to let me know that I needed a front driver side tire due to a bubble in that particular tire. I gave them the ok to replace the tire and to do some other things that they said had to get done which drove the cost up considerably. Well, a few weeks went by and I decided to wash my car. I noticed a bubble in my tire and realized my tire was never replaced! I called the dealership and left a message in the voicemail of the service advisor that wrote up the invoice as his name is on the invoice. Since its Sunday, I dont expect to hear anything from Lexus until tomorrow (Monday). At which point I hope they will do the right thing and replace the tire that I paid to have replaced, that was obviously not replaced!
I purchased a 2016 Lexus ES350 in May 2016. For the first year Lexus offers a one year complimentary subscription to their Enform Safety Connect and Service Connect features. The Service Connect feature is supposed to provide maintenance alerts and the health of your vehicle through a Vehicle Health Report available by e-mail or by viewing the Health Report on the Lexus Drivers Website. The Service Connect feature has never worked from the day I picked up the car. Since May I have called Lexus Corporate 5 times about this issue and contacted the Lexus dealership twice but I get no satisfactory answers. No one can tell me what the problem is nor can they resolve the issue. Frankly I have given up on getting this issue resolved. Lexus wants $164.89 for a one year subscription for the Safety and Service Connect package. I have, therefore, decided not to renew the subscription when my one year complimentary subscription ends. Lexus has the audacity to charge $164.89 for a service where one the components of the subscription they cannot provide.I have had other issues that I have called Lexus Corporate about. I used their Built IT tool and I relied on information on their website when I configured my ES350. However, when I went to the dealership to order the car I found that some of the information was wrong and the car could not be ordered in the configuration per their Build It tool. In addition, when I took delivery of the car I found that the interior of the car was not what was shown per the Build It tool. When I complained to Lexus Corporate about it I was told Lexus was not responsible for any incorrect information on their website and if I relied on that information then that was my problem. This was my first Lexus and it will be my last. The Customer Service is simply not what one expects from a high end car company. I have had Mercedes cars in the past and if I had an issue they promptly took care of it. Lexus does not seem to care about their customers.
My engine was strangely replaced by Lexus for an unknown reason. When I called and asked why they would not give me an answer, its only warranty from nine years to the day the car was made. When I brought the car broke down from a misfire. They told me it was carbon buildup on the engine. Three years after, I had a letter in the mail stating if my car misfired they would replace the engine up to nine years from the day the car was made by the factory so I got a new engine. I called Lexus, the corporation and they would not tell me why these cars needed a new engine. The engine warranty on it was only one year on the new engine...I would have like to known why such a major engine problem and the car was never recalled. Also another problem was the power steering locked up while driving. If I had been on a highway doing 70 that would have been quite scary I would think. Sounds like another recall should have been made there. I have read many complaints for that problem.... And lastly my melting door panels, what a mess! Started pretty much early on looks terrible ... I had dashboard fixed cause Lexus ruined it when installing a new radio. Good thing cause if it were like the door panels it would be a disaster.
I replaced a cracked windshield. In replacing it, repairman stated he could not put plastic. Left and right side moldings were broken and needed to be replaced- a Advised that we have parts replaced before driving. Out. Will always be available to help you out. Sales rep will not call us to tell us whats going on. We have been dealing with this since Thursday - $175 part.. Would I buy another car from them, what do you think???? 12/9/19
2007 Touch Screen on my IS 250 Lexus - On Feb 17, I had my Map Quest updated while my car was in for the 140,000 miles service. I noticed the Map Quest remained on the touch screen at all times where before it did not. The week of the 10 of March, the Touch Screen stopped working. I returned the car to the dealership on March 20 and received a call that it would take $3,100 to repair the touch screen. Also it was going to take 2 days to get the screen in to replace the old one. I have also contacted Lexus Headquarters in CA to see what they can do. I purchased this car New from Lexus In VA (what a Nightmare of a dealership); therefore, I begin going to one in Maryland which I was hoped would not be just after money/buy a new car. Well they are turning out to be the SAME. UNACCEPTABLE, I am not giving them this amount of money because I have given Lexus too much money. So one please let me know what backyard or shade-tree dealer who can fix the touch screen.
My vehicle, and doing research there are numerous other Lexus models and years all experiencing oil loss from the timing chain cover gasket causing oil loss that will affect the engine and safety. Lexus has not provided a recall on this known issue. They request $3500 to fix the leak with a new gasket. This has the potential to eventually lock up the engine if enough oil leaks out.
You can get the Lexus SUV with or with out a sunroof, leather seats, heated seats as well as a heated steering wheel. There are various other changeable features to choose from. My Lexus SUV had four doors and sun roof. The interior is leather at a great price! I love the sleek design that it has. It also offers a variety of colors. The passenger seating in the Lexus SUV can hold up to 7 people. The SUV is very roomy so all the passengers can sit comfortably and that is very important to my family. The appearance is beautiful and sleek. They have rear camera feature to make backing up easy as it would beep if you came too close to an object.
I have been driving Lexus RX series since 2004 and Germain Lexus of Dublin Ohio is my dealer that I dealt with all those years. Just recently, I returned my leased 2017 RX350 and purchased 2020 RX350L. The deal was to forgive me for all remaining payments on my lease and to forgive me for the excessive mileage. Everything was verbally and was not in writing. Once I got my new 2020 RX350L, few weeks later I received an invoice from Lexus Financial Services to pay for excessive mileage. I called Lexus Financial Services and said the deal was to forgive me, they said, You have to contact Germain dealership and remind them to pay us the bill, I did and the sales manager I dealt with said that the deal was I have to pay for excessive mileage. I am 100% positive that he is not correct but unfortunately, there is nothing in writing to proof my case. I wrote a complaint on Germain’s website but no one contacted me, I also left a voicemail for the General Manager but he didnt return my call.My advice is to get every promise in writing before you sign anything.
I bought a Lexus IS 250 then being Active Duty Military I got notice I had to deploy just a couple short months after I bought it. My manufacturer’s warranty expired while I was Deployed. There was a bulletin put out about a known problem to fix under warranty vehicles for condensation in the driver’s side headlight. I get back and come up due for an annual state inspection and the car fails due to the condensation. Lexus refuses to Good Will fix the headlight even though the warranty expired during my deployment.I have low mileage only 37,000 miles on the car and they still wouldn’t consider that. I pleaded that they be sensitive to the fact I can control if I’m deployed and the warranty expired while I was gone. Now I’m expected to pay full price over 2 grand for a known condensation issue with a headlight. I expected better from this company. They care nothing for Military. Most businesses are far more accommodating. I’ll gladly trade in my Lexus at Honda.
I purchased a 2008 IS 250 Lexus in San Diego, California. Since purchasing it, I have had all my service done at the Kearny Mesa, San Diego location. This car has been riddled with problems and recalls including engine, brakes, seat belt, navigation and more. The problems just are never ending, and it does not seem Lexus is interested in taking any responsibility. When my touch screen system stopped responding to touch (350 miles outside of warranty), they quoted nearly $2,800 for replacement. They built a cheap car, charged a premium for the car and are collected from each of us to have their poor workmanship items repaired. I will never buy another Lexus and would never refer anyone to them either.
Lexus was very reliable, smooth and sleek, and I couldnt ask for a better car. It was great, beautiful and it had all kinds of features that made it one of a kind type of vehicle. I could not see myself driving nothing else and I literally thought it was one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen or driven. It would literally turn heads when I drove by. It would fit up to 6 people comfortably and still handled perfectly. I enjoy every minute of every day driving this car. A friend recommended it to me and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a top of the line, classy, gorgeous vehicle.
WORST SERVICE EVER. I called to cancel my Lexus Enform service in July, after I sold the vehicle. I was reassured the service was canceled and there would be no future charges. They charged my credit card in October again. I called and was repeatedly disconnected by various associates trying to transfer me to someone who could help. Calling back the 5th time I was told that there was no charge to my account because they did not have a record. I was on hold for over 30 mins. They demanded documentation of proof of sale of vehicle to cancel the service. Do not sign up for this service or provide them with a credit card!!! You will be charged even after your service is canceled, your car sold etc.
We purchased a 2011 Lexus RX 350 in April of 2013. Shortly after we noticed rat droppings inside the car. Every day there was more. We put a mouse trap inside the back hatch and we caught one. In a few days we noticed more droppings and set the trap again. We caught another one. Then, we caught 2 more. Called Lexus in California, they told us to contact the local dealer in Birmingham, AL. We did and he told us they had the Lexus coming in all the time with mice. He said there was no way to keep them out, they were coming in from the bottom. We carried it to a friends tire service and put it up on the rack. There was no place for them to get in under there. With further searching, we found that the rats were building a nest in the fresh air filter. This past week, more droppings, set traps again, caught 2 more mice. We have had 4 Ford Explorers, 3 Chevrolet SUV, numerous other vehicles, trucks galore. We had 5 sons that had vehicles and none of the above or childrens had mice. That is a total of 6 mice caught in this car since May. This seems petty compared to what the previous comments were. It would really be terrible if the mice chewed the leather seats or some of the wiring. It would really be bad if one ran up our leg.
The touchscreen mode on the GPS/Information display screen unit has stopped working. I was told it cannot be repaired and must be replaced at a ridiculous charge. How can a unit like that not be repaired?
This has been the worst car I have ever purchased. When I first got it, the rear view mirror started turning dark and the stuff inside started turning black and now its horrible. Years later, the Dashboard and the door panels started getting sticky and anytime you touched them they got black stuff on your finger and would scratch the panels. The dash is so shiny that when you drive in the day you cant even see out the window because of the glare. Now the navigation system doesnt work and it operates the ac, radio, navigation and everything else about the car. I took it to the dealership and they wouldnt touch the nag because the dashboard would fall apart and they dont want to be responsible. They said this happens to everyone that comes in. I called lexus and they cant do anything for me because there hasnt been any complaints filed (what the rep tells me) yet all over the internet thats all you read. Its a shame, my wife want to trade her car in for a new lexus, but there is no way, especially when they wont even help us.
Its funny how Lexus is marketing this brand as a luxury car but forgets to stand behind the cheap quality product when a problem arises. At 10,000 miles Ive ended up paying for an alignment as the car was pulling badly to the side. Bear in mind the car was never involved in any collision. The alignment didnt solve the problem and the car is still pulling. At 20,000 miles Im ending up with the breaks at 0!!! How is that even possible for a quality car? No consideration for customers concerns or complaint. Now I know why Lexus is not willing to cover anything under their warranty which proves that Lexus is fully aware of the poor quality, cheap parts used for their cars! SHAME ON YOU LEXUS! YOU ARE DEFINITELY NOT A LUXURY BRAND!
I took my 2011 RX 350 in because I noticed a small bubble in the side of my rear driver’s side tire. The dealer told me it was not covered under the warranty because it was a road hazard. This is nothing but an excuse not to cover it. If it were a road hazard then there would be some kind of mark on the rim and/or the side of the tire, but there is none on either. I feel that this is a defect in the tire and should be covered under the warranty. It probably started out very small and is now about an inch and a half long, from the tread inward. This car only has 7,400 miles on it. This is my second lease of a Lexus. I feel I should be treated better than this and the tire should be replaced.I would like someone to contact me regarding this ASAP. Regards,Steve **
Showed the service writer Jaime at Pembroke Pines Lexus the center console covering that was cracking and degrading. He wrote up a service order and told me he would contact me in a few days regarding a warranty claim. I called him a week later and he told me that the person that handles warranty claims went on vacation and would be back in a week. I went away and after I returned I called him on February 5th or so. He said he had not heard anything but he would contact the appropriate people and have an answer for me by days end. I told him if I did not hear from him I would be calling Lexus. He assured me he would call that day. I never heard from him.I called Lexus USA and spoke to Ed. He said he would check into it and get back to me by Friday. I missed his call on Friday. He called Tuesday and informed me that as the dealer had told me, the damage as normal wear and tear. I just told him that my family had 4 Lexus automobiles and they would be our last. When you sell a car for $75,000, the interior should last more than 3 years. My previous car was a 2003 Cadillac, cost 1/2 as much and when I bought the Lexus the center console was in better shape after eight years of use than the Lexus is after 3 years. By the way, Ed from Lexus offered to pay for 1/2 the repair. As far as I am concerned the Lexus warranty is only a 1/2 warranty shown by this situation.
I love my 2006 Lexus RX h400. I had no problems and had great service from my local dealership (Meade Lexus of Troy, MI) but I was surprised and disappointed when I was told my entire steering column needed replacement (cost $1350). My SUV has never been in an accident and I was told that perhaps a pot hole had caused the problem. I can understand things go wrong with even great cars like my Lexus, but I didnt expect to foot the entire bill of $1350 when the failure of the steering column was not caused by me.
Lexus offers several hybrids and sedans and many other models for every taste. There are family and sport models as well. The cars have a very attractive look. Not too flashy but sleek. Sound system was excellent, comfort level was excellent, included GPS and other electronic assist features. Some upgrade options existed but I found the models that were available to me to be fine. There was a sound system upgrade that I considered but I was happy with the sound system that was standard. Plus theres plenty of room for four people. Ive never sat in the back of my vehicle but I have ridden with my wife in the back of a friends similar model and found no issues. Overall, a fine purchase.
In todays [August 9, 2013] Wallstreet Journal [delivered in Minnesota] Lexus advertised they would do a 0.00 money down, $299.00 per month lease for 36 months on their CT200H. The Ad is clear but Lexus of Maplewood of Minnesota would not honor the ad. I like the car, but they are saying it should be $370 per month for 36 months.
Lexus NX/Lexus LS/Lexus GS. These vehicles are among the most luxury driven off the brand and has all innovative features you would come to expect in premium quality and value for the most discriminating of automobile tastes. Has performance driving modes for a choice in speeds, all weather drive to run in all kinds of adverse conditions and all exclusive class seating. You can as many options that you would like such as rear view cameras, lane assist, blind spot detect, climate control and adjustable seating. Has executive class seating for the driver and passenger and backseat comfort with plenty of adjustable leg room, has temp control for passenger comfort. Very quiet and smooth riding with all the features youd expect.
If you have a family of 4-5 of average size could fit comfortably in the LS 460. Great for travel and plenty of wiggle room. A huge trunk that could hold 2 adult bodies... just to give an idea of the trunk size! Totally amazing rear seat entertainment system. With dual screening so awesome! State of the art technology. Mesh grills and spoilers are really nice if you have the budget for it.
We leased a brand new Lexus LS460 and when the lease term had ended, we had a lot of credit balance left over and finally we just decided to purchase the vehicle since we hadnt driven it that much. We noticed that our Lexus LS460 also has a chrome rim and because of it, its losing air for unknown reasons. We replaced the tires several times and finally found out that the chrome rim has tendencies to lose air due to it being chip or being rotten with time especially from Texas heat. We went numerous time to the dealer but never got a proper answer. We were not sure if there was a nail or if it was because of the chrome wheel that caused the tire pressure to be that low. The service and parts are so expensive that it will be too difficult to maintain it. Secondly, we never received any kind of recall notices from the company although we lived same place for years.
The Lexus RX350 is the best vehicle I have ever owned. Very exciting body style and comfortable, looks fantastic, and drives excellent. Lexus is a luxury vehicle and I enjoy it tremendously.
I have been a Lexus owner for over 20 years. I have purchased x4 Lexus vehicles. One sedan and x3 GX460. I started hearing rumors that the service was not that great anymore and that calling the corporate office was a waste of time. I can attest that all of the above is true. My radiator burst while driving. This caused my engine to overheat and blow the head gasket. I did not know the engine had a problem because my emission system had the engine light on.I had an appointment to fix the recalled emissions on 10.13.19. My engine blew on 10.6.19. The engine was supposed to shut down when overheated. It did not. I did not know because the engine light was on from the emission system recall. I called Corporate for assistance. $10,000 repair minimum. They were COLD AND IMPERSONAL. Basically they told me it was my problem. They dont stand behind their brand anymore and I cant be loyal to a brand that is not loyal to me. NO MORE LEXUS FOR ME.
Disappointed! My 2010 Lexus RX350 died in CDA Idaho. No warning... Oil everywhere, not drivable. Had it towed to Toyota dealership in CDA. Diagnosed as blown oil hose (manufacturer defect). Would be covered if we paid to have it towed to Spokane Lexus, but not covered for the work to be done where it is. It is approx. $200 fix... No recall or letter sent regarding the defect! It would cost more to have it towed! If this is a known manufacturer defect how are we suppose to know?
Rain sensor for wipers does not work properly... Wipers are always wiping in dry conditions. The sensor is bad. The dealership cant change out as they say Lexus wont pay for part. I have a 2014 rX350 which Ive complained about this since the car was 6 weeks old (purchased end of Oct 2013). Now the car is 8 mos old and Ive brought in at least 3 times with this problem. Whats up with Lexus? Quality Performance of this feature is not satisfactory. Reliability of this feature is nil.
My bad experience of purchasing Lexus ES350 and RX 350 2017 at the Keys Lexus dealership, first car ES350 given trouble after two days not picking up speed, car was shaking, engine light on, then following return to dealership switch to RX 350 2017. After over a month it has same problem. Car not picking up speed, engine light on.
I have a 2007 Lexus IS 350, purchased it from a local dealer in May 2010, with 43567 miles on it and still under factory warranty and bought an extended 4-year warranty from local dealer. In the end of April 2011, with about 57800 miles, I did an oil change (4th one) with an STP, after market filter from Auto Zone.In May 2011, I received a letter about the recall problems, and weeks later, I brought the car to the local Lexus dealer (Inskip of Warwick) and they replaced the valve springs, fuel pressure pump and gas pedal. About 2 weeks later, my motor was making this ticking noise from my engine. I drove the car for about 50 miles and the noise went away. In October 2011, 5000 miles later, the noise came back but louder and I called them back and brought the car back in to be checked. The next day, I received a call that the engine was knocking and spun a bearing and its not covered through them or Lexus, because they did an oil change and they stated whoever did the oil change last, put the wrong oil filter (Auto Zone only makes one filter for this model) in it causing the engine problem.I have done about two dozen of oil changes in my life and never had this problem. I called the Lexus main headquarters in CA and 3 weeks later, they told me that it was my fault and they were not paying for anything. I requested to see the oil filter that was in my car when they did this oil change and was given a different kind of filter that was dirty and very old-looking. I told them this is not the filter that I put in because it was a different color (white) and was bigger, mine was yellow and smaller. They did not want to hear it. So now I have to pay my mechanic to tear down the engine to see if I need a new one.
NEW LEXUS CUSTOMER HERE: I recently bought a brand new 2019 RX350 F Sport and from day one experienced regret from the dealer experience to service. On the night I purchased it, the dealer manager rushed delivery and felt like they gave me a car that was sitting on the lot for a while. The tires were improperly inflated and I had PSI issues right away in 60 degree weather as well as Glue left over on the hood from delivery. There were also other issues popping up like rattles in the door that wouldnt go away to a loose ECU mount in the dash and ICS system failures for no reason. They opened up these areas within 2 days of owning the car. The service tech who rode with me to test the car was also rude and claimed he didnt hear the noises. However, they did find issues and attempted to rectify. The service department rep encouraged me to contact Lexus Corporate and I did. They were nice and ultimately with these issues escalated it to the Eastern Regional Office. That office contacted me to fax or mail over paperwork to aid in their review of my case. I did and when I called to confirm receipt of my fax, I received a condescending call from a woman named Karen who was very rude to me and told me that I had threatened her receptionist on the phone earlier because I mentioned I was encouraged by others to post my issues with Lexus on social media. I was so appalled by Karens call and made sure to call Corporate to file a complaint. Im so disappointed by Lexus and their service that my joyous new car experience is gone. They make good cars but for me, customer service is very important. For these reasons alone, I dont recommend Lexus.
I own my 4th Lexus car which is a 2020 new 250h UX Lexus model. Ever since the car was delivered to me I am complaining about a strange noise coming from the Runflex tires the car has. The dealer would not accept the complaints nor change the tires and my general very good experience with the previous Lexus cars I owned is now completely different and the ride is just not enjoyable to say the least!!
When buying a Lexus, you may have a larger initial investment but you will have a high quality car that needs little maintenance. Personally, our Lexus purchase was the best we have ever made in our last 40 years of buying experiences. The comfort is excellent. The low maintenance saves you money. And a Lexus will give you many more miles of driving than the average vehicle.
Lexus has fixed the dashboard in my SUV. Thanks.
I bought this Lexus 2.5 years ago. About a year in and about 95,000 miles once or twice it ran rough at a stop sign for about 3 seconds and corrected itself (thought it was a bit of bad gas). I looked online and saw a post about this possibly being an issue. I also found in the glove box a page from Lexus saying they will take care of this even though it is not a recall. So, I took it to Sacramento Lexus. They said they would validate the issue, order parts, and give me a loaner vehicle. Well, they sure did. They took care of it completely! Obviously out of warranty and fully covered. They even offered to do any other repairs they find while doing the repair at the cost of the part cost only. I was truly amazed at the depth they would take care of a used vehicle not bought from that dealer, out of warranty, and the issue almost never happened that I was aware of. Above and beyond to say the least. Very impressed with Lexus and that dealer.
I am writing this review to express my disappointment with The Lexus Brand. I originally leased an IS 250 2008 with 15,000 miles. Within 7 months, the dashboard light up with check engine and stabilization signal blinking. Took my car back to dealer and was told they (dealer) would replace the entire pistons. Since that time Ive had three more incidents of rough idle, stalling, check engine and stabilization signal blinking. The response from the dealer was to perform top engine clean and carbonization. The final straw for me was my wife and traveling on the highway when my car started to vibrate, accelerating difficulties, and completely shutting down.
Lexus requires you to pay a yearly fee to use remote app or key fob for remote start. They should not be doing this. Other manufacturers do not require this fee. I will think twice before purchasing another Lexus vehicle because of this.
I purchased a new 2015 RX450h from a Lexus Dealership in MO in mid-December. I had the opportunity last month to observe my vehicle with the headlamps on. To my surprise, the headlamp covers are badly distorted. I took my vehicle back to the dealership only to discover that all the Lexus on the showroom floor had the same problem. I contacted Lexus and received 2 emails and 1 phone call explaining that its the way they are made and they are not looking for a fix. This is a real problem and maybe even a safety issue as the vehicle ages. Im extremely disappointed in the quality of the headlamp covers and that Lexus does not care about the product they put on the market. If you have a 2015 or 2016, take a look at your headlamps when on!
This is my 2nd Lexus: my first one, ES 330 was a great car from mechanical to cosmetics! This 2nd, ES 350 is the poorest quality you can get! I was told by a service manager in N Miami, that the reason the interior materials (dash board, seats cover, cosmetically wood design, that all are falling apart), are made to disintegrate after a while! No kidding!!!? They actually do, I cannot even clean the interior because the board is jelly like, the seats covers are all broken after 2-3 years and the color will come off when you clean them, the wood design is flying up peeling as well everywhere, at 72 000 miles I had to replace the front direction and before, the steering wheel fell! And you would believe that for over $42000, you will buy a nice quality car! No, not anymore! I was back in forth with Lexus via emails, I went to the dealer to show what is happening to the car, they said that I have to pay if I don’t like the way it looks! I called to have at least the dash board replace since is melting, but two customer service from Lexus Corporate said that the offer expired on March 31 this year and they won’t extend it, although they never told me about it when I went to the dealer or on our exchanged emails! Think twice if you planning to get a Lexus at this time: it is not the same quality or customer service as they started! A shame!
My LS460 has best radio Lexus offers (Levinson) and at 67000 miles the radio amp failed and I have had no radio since. My car is always been maintained and in fact looks like a new car. I went to the dealership in Manchester who looked at the amp and said he saw no reason for the failure, the area was clean and dry. He suggested I call Lexus Consumer Relations. I did as they suggested and spoke with a Colleen. She said I needed to return to the dealership for a formal inspection to be put in writing. I said, If I do return and the report reflects the same thing my first visit did will you fix my radio amp? She said she could not make any promises… I said, Then why am I jumping through these hoops? She said it was required by Lexus. I returned as Colleen asked and received the same results: there was no reason, obvious reason for the failure. The information was relayed to Colleen and weeks later she called me and said Lexus was unable to offer any help... offer assistance. SO BASICALLY SHE WASTED MY TIME! To own an $80,000.00 car with only 67000 mile and no radio is crazy. Ive been driving around with a boom box on the passenger seat. I AM VERY UNHAPPY AND WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER LEXUS IF THIS IS HOW THEY ARE MAKING THEM TODAY.
I drove my Lexus 250 to a reliable Dealer - Pohanka Lexus Chantilly, VA. They listened to my concerns and had diagnosed the scenarios. I am kind of get convinced that my former car Honda Accord Ex v6 with bigger power engine; it performs much better driving on the highway.Well.
Lexus was a recommendation from someone I know and from third-party reviews (e.g., Consumer Reports, Edmunds). My experience/relationship with salesperson and customer service was good. I prefer this brand/model for connectivity technology (e.g., smartphone, tablet, media), good acceleration/engine performance, seating capacity, residual/resale value, hybrid, diesel-fueled and electric powertrain options, interior roominess and minivan options. Also, quality / workmanship / AWD (All Wheel Drive) / off road capability / handling / warranty options / value for the money / price / maintenance / operating expenses / SUV / crossover options / durability / reputation of the brand / model.
I have owned two LEXUS ES since 2001 and have had excellent experience with each. My first was a 1998 and was finally totaled by a hit and run driver in 2016 but had 275000 miles on it without a single repair to the engine or transmission. I serviced as recommended but nothing broke on that car. We have a 2007 now with all options and love this car too. So far at just over 100k miles, we have had mice eat some wires under the hood and the VSC, traction and check engine lights have remained on since repaired and we are not sure why. Also the new car has been hacked and cant figure out how to solve. To those who complain about paying annual to use features, I say dont buy luxury if you cannot afford it and every car has additional features to pay for! OnStar Satellite radio, etc. Overall Lexus is an affordable car at new, used prices so no complaints here! Also one thing about Lexus of the so many things I love is that there is NO road noise!
Lexus has several models, but I chose their RX 400h Hybrid. Its a great automobile. I got great gas mileage, and really felt like I was helping the environment. Previously I had a 4 door sedan, I owned that car for 12 years before selling it and getting the SUV. There are 2 bucket seats in front and a back bench seat. The vehicle seated 4 adults comfortably, and I was always able to get 3 grandchildren in booster seats in back. The cargo space was roomy as well. The vehicle I purchased was fully loaded, there was nothing more to upgrade. The leather interior was easy to keep clean. Heated seats to keep you warm, sunroof, 4 wheel drive. I know there were other upgrades included, such as the automatic headlights and windshield wipers. I loved the way the windshield wipers could sense when there was rain! Moreover, the vehicle had an entertainment package, built-in CD players installed in the back of the front seats. My grandchildren adored watching CDs and it certainly made traveling with the 3 of them a pleasant experience.
Lexus offers a range of options from family cars to sports cars, fuel efficiency and power. Some models offer space and comfortability while others offer a sporty look and speed. The sleek model of the exterior provides a stylish look. The leather seats and interior accents provide a luxurious look and feel. The outside lights have a futuristic appeal. The navigation upgrades come with the latest software and maps. The bluetooth technology makes it easy to use my cell phone hands free. The option for Onstar gives me a sense of dependability. The car is large enough to transport my family when my step kids and nephew visit. I can seat my kids including a car seat comfortably. This is the car we use for family trips.
VIOLENT SHUDDER/SHAKING OF THE ENGINE. When the CT200H is stationary or in motion the engine periodically shakes violently sometimes up to 30 seconds then it goes away. It happened on cold or hot starts. The EGR has been cleaned from carbon build up, has new spark plugs and coils are good. I have lately been noticing coolant loss. NUMEROUS PRIUS AND LEXUS OWNERS HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. Check engine light. Finally came on with code P0301 cylinder 1 misfire.Called corporate and I was assigned a case manager. Well they were no help. They basically said you dont have warranty on the vehicle so we cant help! Dealer quoted approximately 4500.00 for a blown head gasket (not sure how that happened), a bad intake manifold, and ECU needs to be reflashed. Take into consideration that this vehicle has never been abused, I use it as my commuter vehicle. Also there are many people that have had the same issue with the CT200H and the Prius (both basically have the same engine/components). Anyway Im on the same boat with others on here, I will never buy another Toyota/Lexus. Will move into better vehicles. I highly suggest doing research before investing in a glorified shiny **. Happy holidays. ;)
At 80,000 miles my car just all of a sudden went into safety mode also known as limp mode. Three lights flashed on my dash and I could not go over 35 mph. My Lexus dealer is 3 hours away. I called them they told me to drive to my local Toyota dealer which I did. They told me that my secondary fuel was broken and the cost was $2300. They see this all the time I was told. The Tundra truck has the same issue and Toyota extended the warranty from 50,000 miles to 150,000 miles. Lexus has not extended their warranty. (I was told because it was a LUXURY vehicle and the owners normally dont keep the cars long unlike Tundra owners whom keep the vehicle for a long time.) I submitted a claim to Lexus and I was called and told my claim was rejected. I was told they are still using these same engines in both models as of today! When I pulled out of my neighborhood going into the median cutting thru 55 mile an hour traffic, I expected my vehicle to have the pick up it normally had. When I went to pull it, I had NO power. I could have been T-boned very easy and not here to tell why I had no pick up. Lucky for me the traffic was very thin that day. I feel this issue is a MAJOR safety issue and needs to be addressed. This is my first and last LEXUS vehicle. I will never buy another!!!
I’ve owned this car for 8 years, and, although it has almost 150,000 miles, it looks and runs as good as it did when I bought it. Regular oil changes and minimal repairs are all I’ve ever had to do. I will always own a Lexus.
I purchase new cars about every 3 yrs, This Lexus is the best value I have ever gotten for my money, I find no need to ever go back to any other manufacture, the quality, features, handling is by far better than any of my other experiences... I do not usually spend money on upgrades, but I like this car so much I just had ceramic coating applied last week. The technician had told me the Lexus has the thickest and best paint of most cars...It turned out amazing!
1. I was late in servicing the car because it was involved in an accident. 2. I called to make an appoint and left message to call. 3. Someone named Joanne from Service Department called, and I made appointment to service the automobile. 4. Joanne informed me that it will take one hour to service at a cost of $79.99. I do not have to wait more than one hour because its oil change and can be done in one hour. I was assured that I do not need to take a shuttle home for the appointment. 5. I received email from Joanne confirming the appointment with cost. 6. When I took the car on 21st November 2019, I was informed by Service Advisor as follows: • The car will be serviced and ready within one hour.• Car wash is not working but he agreed that he will personally vacuum car inside.7. Within one-hour car was ready. The girl announced my name and I went to see her. I was only informed by her that they installed Cabin Filter Free and she took me to Cashier. 8. Cashier told me to pay $300.00 and I was surprised but she never gave me opportunity to ask the question and put my Visa and asked me to insert my pin number in front of all employees.
My 2013 Lexus RX350 has only 5000 miles on it and its muffler shows signs of rust stains. The car has been parked in garage from day 1. Its very disappointing.
I bought a new 2013 Lexus ES350 last year, and was very excited. It was my first luxury car indulgence. Im 63 years old, and recently retired. Mechanically, the car ran and drove great. But, the lack of common sense creature comforts in the front cabin became such an irritation that I ended up trading it in - even though I took a depreciation hit of over $15K. Here are the specifics:1) It is very difficult to exit the car. The low ground clearance was difficult for me, especially since I have some hip issues. The other factor is that the door does not have an intermediate stop position. So, when you open it, it will tend to start closing on you. Many times I had to kick the door to keep it open, just so I could get out. You learn to do this after it shuts on your leg, which is quite painful. This was an issue for the passengers as well. In addition to just being annoying, the bottom door panel became filthy from all of the foot prints.2) There is ZERO convenient storage in the front cabin. I do a lot of detail work in the car, and just need a flat surface to put stuff down. If you look at the console closely, you will see that there is no flat area at all to put anything. The main console storage area crowns in the middle, and is back too far to be useful as a surface. The navigation joystick occupies the right hand side of the console. The shift lever occupies the left hand side. The beverage holder at the front has a sloped cover. The drivers side beverage holder is typically open, because thats the only place you can put your fob/phone/etc. There are no pockets or storage holes in the side of the center console. The end result is that a lot of stuff ends up dropping down between the console and the seat.3) If something does drop down between the console and the seat, there is no convenient way to retrieve it. The only way is to get out of the car, move the seat all the way forward (very slowly because it is a power seat), then open the rear door, get on your knees and reach under the seat from behind. Because of the power seat mechanism, you cant reach under from the front. Try this outside in 100+ degree heat, and it gets very old very fast. Especially when what you dropped is your key fob.4) This leads to my main complaint: The railings under the seats have not been machined, and have very sharp edges. After suffering my third very serious gash on my hand trying to retrieve what fell between the seat and the console, I just lost it. I traded it in not three days later.5) There is no place to put your phone - or even a sunglasses compartment above the rear view mirror. The only place to put stuff is in the drivers beverage compartment. Its like they went out of their way to remove any convenient storage and/or work area.I know to many, these complaints will seem petty. I guess if you drive a luxury car you shouldnt be concerned with these types of issues. But, after a year of putting up with kicking the door open, dropping stuff between the seat and the console, and getting blood all over my shirt and pants, I just couldnt take it anymore.
Lexus has many models. Mid-size to luxury to SUV. They also have fuel-efficient & eco-friendly cars. I have a ES 250 2009. I use it for work and travel daily. Standard features - a/c, electronic windows and seat warmers. I have a mid-size that is very room and fits 5 adults. You can get a full size SUV for more room. There are also many options to upgrade. For example: satellite, eco-friendly, customized leather seats.
I have been leasing a 2015 Lexus CT200h. Within 6 months into my lease radio started turning off and resetting back to factory settings. Meaning all my channels, bass, treble settings all of that got deleted. Bluetooth would have to be reconnected each time. I reached out to Lexus of Seattle immediately to resolve the issue. The dealer told me theres nothing they can do about it.. Shocker.. I then reached out to customer satisfaction who then arranged for the car to be looked at, at Lexus of Bellevue. They began telling me its my phone, or my bluetooth connection. After going through 3 different phones and the issue persisting they finally had a technician who was able to have the same issue happen to him while he was connected on HIS personal cell phone. So finally they agreed to replace the radio with a NEW radio. Well after installment of the new radio turns out it wasnt so new, and more than like refurbished because someone else was already listed on the bluetooth connectivity. I had pointed this out to the dealer who simply told me to deal with it and there is nothing else they can do. Fast forward 2.5 years later I am driving a LEXUS with a radio that goes out every other time I drive it. I AGAIN reached out to customer satisfaction which at this point, mind you, this is 3 brand new phones later, 2 stereos later, customer satisfaction is telling me I need to go to the dealer AGAIN, have them mimic the problem AGAIN, (mimicking the problem could take several tries and several trips) and go through the whole procedure which I already had gone through, AGAIN! I kept on explaining to them that there is not justifying this kind of nonsense. If this vehicle clearly has a flaw, either take the vehicle back and call it a lemon or stop wasting my time! This vehicle is a lemon! I have told them this so many times and all they say is that because it is not a safety issue they will not consider it as a lemon. Well, it is a safety issue! When I am driving on the freeway and the radio goes out on a 2015 Lexus am I to pull over every time and quickly try to reset all my channels just so I can have the luxury of listening to music?? Or perhaps I should drive in silence and just reminisce on the good old days when a 1999 Ford would have a working stereo with no issues? This is a safety issue. It distracts me from my drive. It interrupts my drive! I will never consider buying a Lexus again! There has been ZERO customer satisfaction in my whole experience since driving off the lot on this godawful car and the run around that I have been put on to resolve an issue on THEIR car! Its a lease. Its not even my car and Lexus has done nothing to ensure that I am satisfied. Lexus should be embarrassed that a 2015 Lexus doesnt have an operable stereo. So much for Pursuit of perfection. What a joke. I am sure there are by far better manufacturers that appreciate their consumers and go above and beyond to ensure that the consumer is happy. At this point Lexus Customer Satisfaction is telling me to either keep wasting my time, gas, money to go to a dealer to diagnose the faulty stereo (which as stated above has ALREADY BEEN DONE) or there is nothing else they can do... Boy Lexus you really have screwed your reputation. Never did I think I would be saying this about Lexus. Thanks to the lovely Lexus dealers that were least bit helpful, and thank you to Customer satisfaction, the irony in that, I will never been buying, looking, considering or recommending a Lexus to anyone.
With 89000+ miles, I was told the timing cover gasket was leaking and to replace it would cost $3000+ because the engine must be pulled. I asked what type of gasket would be replaced. The service manager stated that a liquid gasket would be replaced and that Lexus does not use a fiber gasket. He also stated that the liquid gasket melts from the heat of the engine and causes the leak which happens quite often. When I checked Toyota I found the company uses a fiber gasket on their timing cover. This is a definite design flaw in the RX 350. No doubt the melting of the liquid gasket contaminates the oil. Because of the risk of the leak to happen again, as soon as I can afford it, the RX 350 will be traded for a Toyota. It proves that Lexus vehicles are high maintenance and too expensive to own.
I have owned an 2000 Lexus ES 300 for about 4+ years now and it is very reliable. Leather and other interior pieces are holding up well. Paint is still in good condition, no peeling, considering this car hasnt been garaged. It has been holding up well considering it now a 15 year old car with 201,000 miles on it. Only 1 problem in 4 years is the Traction Control sensor malfunction which is a common problem for this model. Other than that, really happy with the reliability of this car and would recommend it.
On May 9, 2012, I purchased a used 2004 Lexus RX 330 for $14,600. I put a down payment of about $6,000 down and financed about $10,000. My payments are for 3 years at around $240. I drove the vehicle to the Lexus manufacturer to have them find out why my vehicle has a bad odor and other items on vehicle. I found out that this vehicle’s sunroof had been leaking and as a result of the sunroof leaking, that carpet has built up mold and was needed to be replaced. They also found out that there were other things on vehicle that needed replacing; seat belt in the rear seat, front arm controls needed to be replaced, radiator needed to replaced, engine cap was clogged, bushing needed to be replaced, the extra key needed a battery, several dents on the vehicle, tires needed to be replaced and several dents and items that needed to be replaced on the vehicle. The manufacturer advised me that the vehicle was not safe to be on the street without these repairs. I took my concern to Steven and he told me several times that he was not going to fix the problem because he did not have to. He insulted me and my relative and he became very belligerently loud and abusive for no reason. I left the premises and advised him I would be back. It has been 1 month later and this situation has not, up to now, been resolved. Can you please help, because I am paying for car insurance and I have the car payment? This vehicle is just sitting in my driveway for the last 2 months. I have had to rent a rental so that I could pick up and take my son back and forth to college. I hope you can help.
I have this beautiful Lexus LS460 that looks great on the outside and always kept in the garage. However, when you open the door and see that the door panels and the dashboard have a gray looking film on them and are sticky to the touch it spoils the whole idea of LUXURY AND LEXUS being used in the same sentence. I called the 1 800 Lexus number and they told me there was a recall for this problem but it expired last year in 2017 and that they sent out recall notices. I have lived in the same house for 15 years (longer than I have had the CAR) and I have never received a recall notice on my vehicle. I am frustrated and looks like if I want to fix it that it is going to cost thousands of dollars to do so. I am very disappointed in Lexus! I thought they were a better company than that.
I have a 2008 IS 250. Randomly while making a right turn from a complete stop or an almost complete stop, my car feels like it is stalling. Its only a second or two but it is a scary feeling when turning into traffic and the car wont respond. Ive found no rhyme or reason to when it happens. Ive reported it many times to Lexus. The first time, my service advisor told me the car couldnt stall because it has a fuel injector. Theyve taken it for rides but couldnt duplicate it. It happens randomly and always not when you want it to. I now want to sell my car and I know that I must disclose this issue. I dont know how to get this issue resolved.
Lexus is generous enough to defer lease payments up to two months. This means of course that those payments will be due at the end of the lease. However if your lease ends 3 months from now that makes no sense. In this uncertain times where people are getting laid off or businesses have been closed it would be nice if Lexus would understand that. How hypocritical is it that they have a promo with no payments for 90 days on new lease or purchases only. So you have to commit to get in debt in order to get that benefit.
There is a wide variety available from Lexus, with each vehicle maintaining its dependable characteristics. There are sedan, SUV, mid-size, compact, and other models, so there is a wide selection with almost a guarantee to have at least a couple options that fit an individuals needs and wants in purchasing a car. The Lexus aesthetic features are that of a sleek body and exterior and distinct interior features like leather stitching. The vehicles have a smart key entry system, and many models have touchscreen controls and a navigation screen interface. There are tons of options available for upgrades and personalizations with Lexus. Upgrade options include performance-related ones like engine components and fuel systems, as well as aesthetic/personal interests like suspension systems and racing equipment. Passenger capacity for larger size sedans and SUV models are great. All models are comfortable for their individual capacities, and Lexus has a lot of models that can accommodate larger numbers of passengers while still allowing for cargo and extra things to haul in the vehicles.
I own a 2012 Lexus CT 200h. Absolutely love my car. 2 1/2 weeks I was in a car accident that was not my fault. My car went to Lexus of the quad cities to get an estimate. While in for getting the door fixed rust was noticed on both of the front door seams. We questioned it and had to get in contact with Lexus. My husband talked to Shawn directly at Lexus. They sent someone out to look at my car. Since my car has rust on the seams they will not cover it, as it is not rusted through. Lexus warranty says corrosion or perforation for 6 years unlimited miles. Since the door was already being painted it would not cost anymore to fix the seam under the door. Shawn told my husband nothing he could do about it and no one else he could speak to. I dont know about you but who wants to spend $40,000 on car that is only 4 years old and its rusted. I guess I thought buying a Lexus was not buying a Ford Focus, even though I owned a Ford Focus 10 years ago and it never rusted. Customer service not good, neither is warranty.
Im dissatisfied by the lack of concern from Lexus for the issue Im having with a 6yr old vehicle. A Lexus dealership advised that my vehicle needs a new transmission and again the car is only 6yrs old. I spoke with a case manager who said there was nothing she could do about it. I asked to escalate the complaint and was told management had already made the decision. I asked to speak to someone in management and was told management doesnt speak to customers. What horrible customer service from Lexus if this is indeed true. I will never purchase another Lexus and cant wait to get rid of this car. I will also make sure those close to me do not have to deal with the same amount of frustration and advised them to not waste their money on a Lexus because they dont care about their customers. Former Lexus Driver.
I have a 2008 Lexus Rx350 with a cracked and melted dashboard and Lexus refuses to help in any way even though thousands of cars had this same issue. Lexus is substandard and their customer service is below par. I do not recommend anyone to buy a Lexus. You will be sorry because they do not stand behind their vehicles. I was never notified about this dashboard issue so by them saying I didnt react in time is a stupid reason not to help with a product they they know... has been an issue all along.
Lexus ES is a luxury car that offers leather seating, heated seats and a variety of custom trim and interior options. It is a high-class style. It has a very shiny, distinct appearance that lets you know it is of high quality and it has features that sets it apart from the rest. Tinted windows, stereo sound system and special interior coverings are available. Leather, cloth and wood trim are just some of the available options. It has a space big enough for enough people if you are trying to travel in a group to carpool or to just take family on a trip with you. There is a good amount of storage also.
I leased a new 2014 Lexus IS 250 in July of this year. On December 2, I was driving in a Walgreens parking lot at less than 5 mph, when I turned the wheel to enter a parking space. The car accelerated, the brake didnt work and the car jumped into a planted median full of bushes, trees, and narrowly missed a phone pole by less than 1/2 foot. Only the mud in the median stopped the car. Naturally, I called Lexus and a tow truck was sent. Since that time, the Lexus dealership, JM Lexus, has had that car, inspecting it until December 10, when they called stating that there is nothing wrong with the car and that I should come and pick it up. Absolutely no information was given to me about test results, incorrect information was given to me about anticipated contact dates by Lexus corporate, and even management at the dealership appears to want to avoid any further discussions. In my conversations with Lexus corporate, they have provided minimal information and said the issue has been turned over to legal. In the meantime, I am driving a car that I am petrified to drive. It appears that it will take a product liability lawyer to intervene on my behalf.
Im very disappointed on how Lexus is handling the recall on my NX 300 2019. I felt that no one in either dealership or Customer Service are willing to assist us. Currently they only providing a $35 a day rental car to replace my NX 300 until Lexus figure out the problem and find the resolutions. First Lexus should have not sold any cars that are not quality controlled and tested. Currently I have to settle to drive a Ford while paying for a Lexus car; this does not make any sense at all. The least Lexus can do is to provide us with another Lexus car that are safe to drive.
I love taking my car. The customer services is out of the chart. The management is attentive and I love taking my car there for service.. My person or agent is attentive and do the most to make the person.
A multitude of vehicles ranging from small to large and includes sports models. They are high quality and a must have. Many features which include navigational systems, satellite radio, high definition radio, USB and SD card ports. There is Bluetooth connectivity, easy steering, emergency braking assist and more. Upgradeable tire and rim package and specialized paint job and custom colors. Can also upgrade to moon and sun roof. Also, there is enough head and leg room to comfortably fit 5 large adults and plenty of trunk space to store items and groceries.
2nd and very LAST Lexus from Lexus San Diego! I never thought that service really made a difference if you had a great product. I have since learned that lesson. This dealership is absolutely the worst. They will never call you back. Their sales people wont even call you back! Dumbfounded... I have moved on to Mercedes. If you were to compare the two based on service, Lexus SD would be the equivalent to a 16 yr old waiter at your local burger joint, while Mercedes service would be similar to a maître d’ at one on New Yorks finest restaurants. Thanks for nothing Lexus SD.
My RX 350 has bad radio static. It is on both AM/FM, although the AM is MUCH worse. I have had service on this numerous times. They said they have replaced the radio and the antenna and still the static continues. The service department contacted the national technical department and they had no further fixes and said it works as designed. I have escalated my complaint to the Customer Service center in Torrance, CA. They are now saying they are unable to help me any further. It seems completely unacceptable that a luxury car company would not only make such an inferior product, but that they refuse to acknowledge the problem even though there are numerous complaints found on the internet. I will continue to fight this problem.
I have odor coming from my vents on my 2013 RX350. The dealer says Lexus is aware of this problem but offers no remedy. What can I do? Can they replace my car??? This is my third RX350. Is my loyalty worth anything?!!! I hope so.
I have a 2007 RX350 with 50,000 Km on it. I noticed oil drops on the garage floor. Dealership cleaned underneath the car and when I took it back for them to check where the leak was coming from, they said it was the timing chain cover; the whole engine must come down and the cost would be around CDN$2,500. If I do not have it fixed, can I just top up the engine oil or would there be other consequences?
Toyota hits a home run every year with the flagship Lexus LS460. The car is put together flawlessly. The mechanical parts roar and purr and make reassuring sounds as the interior parts cuddle you in refined comfort. I have well over 200,000 miles on my 2007 model and no intention of trading it in the near future. In most ways this classic machine is just getting broken in about now. I have followed all recommended service calls, both in and now long out of warranty, and been rewarded with a vehicle that still rules the road. It shines almost as brilliantly after a good wash now as it did right off the showroom floor. I could not be happier with how it just continues to amaze me with its durability and reliability. Yeah, the sticker shock is difficult, but 12 years later it is barely but a memory of a tremendous decision. Thank you, Lexus.
I purchased a 2004 RX 330 2 years ago with very low mileage, from Lexus of Sarasota, FL and purchased the extended warranty with the vehicle. For the better part of 10 months I have now been working with Tampa of Lexus and the warranty company as the dashboard continues to deteriorate and no resolution at hand that satisfies me. The warranty company despite the fact that we sent over 10 pictures of end to end dashboard cracks, and the fact that Lexus of Tampa, recommended that the dashboard be replaced, only wanted to send a dashboard technician to repair it. The Lexus of Tampa finally wanted to replace it and charge me $250 dollars, but I didnt believe I should be responsible for a single cent of it, since this is a known Lexus issue and Lexus should be accountable. Lexus of Tampa then recommended that I take the vehicle back to Lexus of Sarasota where I originally purchased it and let them deal with the problem. My conversation with the Lexus of Sarasota Service Rep went something like this... Well, we have to weigh several factors. How many vehicles have you purchased from us? which the answer is this is my 4th Lexus, and OBTW, my 2007 Lexus Dashboard is sticky and chipping as well, and this vehicle is still under warranty. How much Service have you done with us? And although, I have performed almost some of my service has been performed at Sarasota, the majority has been done with the Lexus of Tampa, because they are conveniently located near my office and they have better service. Lexus is Lexus and none of these issues should even matter, as Lexus should stand behind their product. Lexus of Sarasota are now going to take pictures and request a Good Will repair ... Stay tuned as I have zero confidence that Lexus knows how to do the right thing for their customers. They have a sticky and cracking Dashboard issue that they simply refuse to own. These will be my last Lexus vehicles because I will not purchase another Lexus if they do not resolve my problem.
They have various sized sedans, SUVs that come in both all-wheel and front wheel drive. They are built well and last for a long time. They are fun to drive and come with many option packages. Features can include but are not limited to air-conditioned/heated seats, heated steering wheel, multi-disc CD player, radar controlled cruise control, heads up display, different sound systems, etc. Numerous options to choose from. Different dealerships offer different options, so you will have to check with your local dealership to see what they offer. Some options include gold plated badging, pin stripes, rubber floor mats, hood/front end stone chip protectant, etc. Their SUVs offer plenty of room for passengers with ample leg and head space. Their larger sedans also offer plenty of room for passengers. Their smaller sedans and sport cars dont have as much room but are still comfortable.
I purchased my Lexus 2009 RX 350 USE from a Lexus Dealership with Mileage around 35,000/-. Three weeks back when my wife was Driving car to work in the Morning after 10 min of Drive VSC light came up, and after a mile or so Check Engine Light Came up. By the time she stopped the car to Safe place, Car interior area started smelling like burning rubber. She stopped the car and get it towed to nearest local mechanic place. I gave call to Nearest Lexus dealership and asked them about the Issue and if that would be covered by Lexus Warranty. To my total surprised, they declined covering under the warranty because Powertrain warranty expired on Bases of Time of First Sell (72 Months or 70000 Miles). They argued that even though car mileage is still under Warranty period, Since Warranty Expired Four months ago, they would not cover it. Dealership asked me to take this to Lexus Customer Care.I called Lexus customer care and explain them the potential safety concern about sudden water pump failure without any prior indication and asked them if they would cover due to the fact Mileage is still under the warranty limit and close proximity to warranty expiry time limit. I was asked to get vehicle to safe place and wait for Manager to get back to me within three days (By Friday, Incident happened on Tuesday). I waited for call from Lexus but no one returned call till Friday end of business day. I called back and asked to Speak to Manager over there. First of all when she (Vicky) came on call, she had no Idea what issue I was referring to, because she started talking about some Oil pipe failure etc. I had to repeat entire story again, which shows that they didnt even look at my case even though I was told that someone review it and get back to me.Talking to Manager (Vicky) I tried to explain since its part of powertrain and problem existed even Under the warranty period and I dont have direct control over its failure, its clearly indication of bad quality of engine and parts. The most important part is safety hazard of car catching fire due to overheating. Lexus Customer Service stick to the three months over the powertrain warranty and refuse to take any accountability. I was asked to tow the vehicle to nearest Lexus dealership which is 30 miles away from where car is stalled. I asked Lexus about some level of assurance on warranty coverage but they keep on saying We cannot give you assurance of any help at this point. They will talk to Lexus dealership and then only consider this for help. I called nearest Lexus Dealership and asked for the estimation of water pump replacement, they quote me $1200+. Considering towing expense (about $300), hefty dealership cost and absolutely no assurance from Lexus Customer Service, I decided to get water pump replaced at the Local mechanic place where car was pulled over for diagnostics. I paid complete expense out of pocket and filed reimbursement claim with all receipt and documentation. To my total surprise, they declined the claim based on the fact that it wasnt replaced at Lexus Dealership. I swallowed this poisons pill and decided to move on. After three days of driving around (all together less than 100 miles), check engine light came on with VSC light. Took it to same mechanic who replaced water pump and he said its nothing to do with water pump. Now engine is misfiring and heating up. Since it sounded like major problem, I called Lexus Customer service and ask for help in this. I was again asked for to take it to Dealership which I did. Primary diagnostic from Lexus dealership pointed to structural damage to Engine due to premature water pump failure and advise me to replace whole engine, which is huge expense. My bases for taking this to claim is : Water pump is part of Powertrain and has no influence by driving pattern. Failure of water pump at 61000 miles is very premature and indicate toward inherent problem with engine and related components. Safety Issue: There was no sign of water pump failure until last moment when it actually gave up all of sudden. There was very little time before Check Engine lights came on and further damage due to overheating. If it was ignored for couple of miles car would have caught into fire. Powertrain warranty is 70000 Miles or 72 Months, whereas cars mileage is 61000 and time since first usage is 75 months (just 3 months over the warranty). Considering close proximity to warranty expiration, Lexus should consider this for warranty extension. This Engine series is infamous for cooling system issues and several service bulletins have been issued regarding it. Several complaints have been filed about the similar problem, where water pump failure and subsequent engine damage.
I purchased a 2013 ES 350 new... was very satisfied until Sept. 24 2016. The vehicle had a little more than 19000 miles when someone failed to yield the right of way and collided with my wife near the front and left driver door while she was driving the vehicle. The damage was extensive and the insurance declared the vehicle a total loss. My concern is that neither of the airbags deployed during the collision. The other vehicle involved airbag(s) did deploy.I contacted Lexus and gave them permission to inspect the data image on the vehicle to let me know why the airbags did not deploy. As of October 21 2016 I have not heard anything from them. I have contacted Customer service several times but did not get any information. The vehicle has been towed to a totaled lot. Not sure how long the vehicle will be available for their inspection. I have owned four Lexus vehicles and have not had any problems. I am now concerned if I replace the vehicle with another Lexus will there be a safety issue. Damage images are available if requested.
My 2004 RX 330 has a cracked dashboard in multiple places. I was informed that Lexus recognized this problem on my year/make/model and was offering to replace the dashboard. The dealership said my VIN # was not in the system for a replacement. They agreed it did need replaced and they took pictures and sent them to Lexus. Lexus just called to deny my dash getting replaced. How do they get to pick and choose whose dashboards get replaced if this is a recognized problem? I have had my car for 11 years and have spent thousands of dollars to Lexus paying for and keeping my car under extended warranty. They should at least pay for that.
I called Lexus customer service over a disagreement I had with the local dealership where I purchased an RCF. After a week, a junior level employee called me back, explained to me that my original customer service contact was off for the day and then parroted the same story I got from the dealership. When I asked some follow up questions he said he was only reading from notes and couldnt answer specific questions. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I suspect that the CS rep that was working my case had the flunkie call me back so she didnt have to deal with me, but of course that is only speculation. I let it go at that although I should have told the junior guy to have the original contact call when she was back in the office.
Well-built. Quality workmanship. My Lexus GS 430 is a 2001 model. Never had a mechanical issue. Just recently changed shocks and a few other minor issues. Not bad for a 16 year old automobile. Still handles well. Paint is still great with no blemishes or paint fade. Although I take really good care of it, it takes great care of me and my family. Quiet as a kitten. Goes when needed. Powerful 300hp V8 still has oomph! Drivers seat looks a little worn. But passenger seats look new.
Lexus cars are comfortable. I like the features and the easy accessibility of the car. The leather seats are easy to clean which makes my job a lot easier. The butt warmers are nice and help to keep us all warm during the winter months of the years. Our model specifically can only hold up to five people. However I believe that Lexus makes other models that can hold more people than that. This car suits my family well as there are five of us and we are all able to fit comfortably in the car. The car has a small built and our model is black and sleek. The paint has stayed nice and sharp throughout the course of many years and I believe that it will continue to do so over the next couple until we decide to go to either donate the car or purchase a new one. We are interested in a car with seats that are not leather as the smell bothers my family and the seats always seem to be super hot or cold.
IS250 Lexus door panels - You cant touch the doors or lean on them, or they become dented. Lexus will not replace it, says I have to pay 3000 to fix it. I really like the car, but my doors look all cut up because I cant touch them without scratching them up.
The driver side rear triangle window molding on my Lexus 400rx came loose and was lost on the road. Upon going to the dealership to replace the molding I was told that the entire window had to be replaced to the tune of $235. The plastic molding can easily be replaced with super glue and attached firmly if the molding was sold separately. One has to buy the entire rectangular side rear window to the tune of $235 not including installation to take care of the problem. The passenger side rear triangle window molding is flapping at 65 mph and is ready to fall off. I was told by the dealership that this is a common occurrence with the Lexus Rx series. Lexus charges you $235 plus installation for a plastic molding that at the most would cost $10 to replace.
The brand of vehicle that I acquired is very comfortable, very pleasant to use for anyone who needs a safe transportation method and has great capacity. It has all the appropriate accessories and location systems. It also contains many improvements for a safe transfer.
Just noticed on my 2004 RX330 2 cracks where airbag will deploy. This car has always been garaged with very little sun exposure. Cracks are in line with passenger head if deployed. Any advice?
I have a 2006 Lexus RX 400h with 49,000 miles. The dashboard leather (may be Rexine) is ripped off in couple of places. I called Lexus and talked to the customer service people, but they are not helpful. I think they dont want to help me. I think this is a serious negligence from Lexus.
The dashboard on my Lexus IS 250 model 2006 is literally melting. You put your hand on top and you can actually see your full hand print on the dashboard. During hot sunny day, the melting dashboard gives a shinning glare on the windscreen which actually shines in your eyes, blinding you while driving.During hot Florida summer days while driving with the windows up, the melting dashboard plastic is probably releasing toxins, who knows? The car has only 31,000 miles and the car is already in workshop to replace the GPS screen. Luckily, I had extended warranty which will cover the GPS, but not the dashboard. I talked to the company about the dashboard and they will only supply the parts but not cover the labor cost which is over $700. Its not the cost of labor that angers me but the fact that they agree that the product they used was faulty and still, not do the right thing to take full responsibility and cover the total cost.
Hybrid or gasoline, the Lexus dealer has from small cars to large cars, small SUVs to large SUVs. There is a huge selection of colors and options. There is a price point for almost everyone. Plus all vehicles fit at least 4. It just depends on your needs. They have an SUV for 8 passengers. You decide if you need to transport that amount of people and want to drive a really big SUV. Lexus has very advanced technology standard in every vehicle. Upgrades are very personal. Full leather wood steering wheel colored rims. Overall pure luxury- easy driving and handling. Incredible safety record great standard technological options. You will be safe and feel safe.
I have a Lexus 350 bought in 2013. I love it!!! However, I think there is a potential danger in one of the features of placement of knobs!!! The ignition round button to the right of the steering wheel and the knob for the radio are too close together and I have twice now pushed the radio button thinking I had turned the ignition off!!!!!!! There was extraneous noises from a lawn mower and I just went inside and left the car running. I was shocked when I came out an hour later and found the car running. I believe the two buttons, probably the ignition button should be placed in another area higher, lower or someplace away from the radio button. Now I realize if I had locked the car it might have sounded an alarm, but not sure. Sometimes it is not necessary for me to lock my car and I just push the button and go inside. I am now very nervous and feel stressed about pushing the wrong button and always going out to re check. Would appreciate your feedback on this for what I think is a design problem and could cause a dangerous situation. Thank you so much. This note.
