The 2025 Lexus TX is a three-row luxury SUV designed to provide families with comfort, refinement, and advanced technology in a premium package. Positioned as one of Lexus’ newest models, it blends practicality with luxury, offering more interior space than the RX while maintaining the brand’s hallmark quietness, reliability, and upscale appeal.

On the outside, the 2025 TX follows Lexus’ updated design language, with a bold spindle body grille that integrates more seamlessly into the front fascia. Sleek LED headlights, sharp character lines, and a confident stance give it an elegant yet athletic look. The SUV’s proportions emphasize its family-focused nature, with a long wheelbase that allows for generous third-row and cargo space, setting it apart from smaller Lexus models.

Inside, the TX offers a modern, premium environment with seating for up to seven passengers, depending on configuration. High-quality materials, soft-touch surfaces, and refined detailing create a luxury atmosphere. Available second-row captain’s chairs enhance comfort and accessibility, while the third row is more spacious than what many competitors provide, making it suitable for adults on shorter trips. Cargo space is abundant, especially when the third row is folded.

Technology is a major highlight. The SUV features a large central touchscreen, intuitive Lexus Interface software with cloud-based navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an available head-up display. Multiple USB-C ports, wireless charging, and a premium Mark Levinson audio system further enhance connectivity and entertainment. Lexus also integrates its advanced driver assistance suite, Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, as standard, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and pre-collision safety features.

Performance options are diverse, offering buyers a balance of power and efficiency. The standard TX 350 comes with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, providing smooth acceleration and reliable performance. The TX 500h introduces a performance-oriented hybrid setup with more horsepower, blending power with fuel efficiency, while the TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid offers all-electric driving for short commutes and strong efficiency for longer trips. All-wheel drive is available across the lineup, ensuring stability and confidence in various conditions.

Ride quality is one of the SUV’s strong points, with Lexus tuning the suspension for smoothness and comfort even over rough roads. At the same time, steering feels precise, giving the large SUV a composed and manageable feel in city driving and on highways. For families who prioritize both luxury and peace of mind, the TX delivers a quiet cabin and the kind of long-term dependability Lexus is known for.

Overall, the 2025 Lexus TX is aimed at buyers who want a truly family-friendly luxury SUV without sacrificing refinement, technology, or efficiency. Its spacious interior, versatile powertrain options, and extensive safety features position it as a compelling alternative to rivals from BMW, Audi, Acura, and Volvo in the competitive three-row luxury SUV segment.

I purchased an alleged 2016 lexus gs-350 from lexus of riverside on 4/29/20
I purchased an alleged 2016 lexus gs-350 from lexus of riverside on 4/29/2016. I reported a navigation defect to them in less than two weeks. They did nothing for 6 1/2 weeks and finally sent a dealership car and service tech. We drove both my car and dealership car. In go home mode it took us in a round-about manner to a dead end road in a different zip code. Both my car and dealership car failed and went to dead end road but I took my garmin gps in dealer car and it worked perfectly. The dealership refused to do anything and referred this problem to their lexus/toyota headquarters in Torrance, ca. The clerk at the headquarters said we would be put in a queue which would take 4 weeks.I spent hours researching, driving, photographing, documenting and sending over 30 emails to them but just got a letter giving me an assignment to send them documents they already had. I also called their 800# - useless. You get some clerk who only gives a first name and never gives you a case number. I have 1 week left for the 4-week queue, so will probably have to sue them since there is no available for this serious problem and they just delay hoping you go away.Next I photographed the navigation screen which shows that the navigation micro sd card is dated 8/1/2015 (gen 8) which according to their published literature is only for a 2015 gs-350. At this writing, the card will be 1 year old in 2 weeks and the service manager told me they usually come out around October for about $169. So either lexus sold me a 2015 and changed the date to 2016 or they are using old parts. I had leased 4 lexus ls series before - 1990, 1995, 1999 & 2004. The 2004 was terrible and constantly needed repairs. So I left lexus. But I read the glowing reports by consumer reports and tried the 2016 gs-350 due to its alleged safety features - big mistake.

Lexus has models from small fuel efficient vehicles to roomy SUVs all at great price points especially for what you get. Many of the smaller cars and small SUVs are hybrid which is great option. It has all the bells and whistles which almost makes me feel dumber than the car. I especially love the GPS and hook up to phone to play music feature. My car already included top of the line features except chrome wheels. But I love that even their baseline models have nice features. The back passenger space can be tight on some of the vehicles but definitely comfortable. The leg room in the front seats to be excellent. My husband is 6ft tall and has lots of leg room. I also like the third row seat option which makes it able to accommodate more passengers.

I trust Lexus brand in safety above anyone else. Their car designs are beautiful, classy and also comfortable. They have SUVs that offer 3 rows, midsize SUV for smaller families, and cars, all filled with luxury and greatness. I love my backup camera and my warning sensor in case Im close to hitting something. As far as I know they offer any upgrade you would want. You can literally customize anything. You can pick the color of seating, flooring. You can even customize driver preference for the drivers side car which has 2 buttons that you can program for 2 drivers. So, its extra convenient. Also, they have sunroof option and they have a ton of beautiful colors to choose from. Carpets can be customized like in SUVs where you can customize between bench or captain seats. DVD installation available as well. We bought the es350 and have since had 2 kids. For five years, it has fit us well and accommodated my family comfortably, until the 2nd child. Since we grew, we are now looking for a bigger Lexus.

My wife IS 250 2007 has melting and cracked dashboard and panels which Lexus sent me a letter to get them replaced. I took the car to the dealership. They told me to come back in the summer cause my Lexus does not meet the repair criteria. Even now the dashboard it feels like butter you can take chunks out of it. Now I have no idea if they would replace it or not cause I guess whats happening to my car is normal. I didnt know Lexus meant to make dashboards like that and is normal.

In February of 2013 I leased a 2013 RX350 from Lexus in Peoria, IL. I kept smelling an odor coming from the vents and took it back to the dealership to fix the problem. They sprayed disinfectant in the vents and brought it back. That was in August of 2013, I could still smell it so they picked up the car again, sprayed again and changed the cabin filter. Still the smell was there! I have called the corporate office and they wont do anything more about it. In September I had to go to doctors office, received 3 shots and my doctor sent me to emergency room, got more shots and they did some blood test. They think I had an allergic reaction, we think because of the mildew. When I told corporate about this they said it was because of my driving habits,???? I have tried everything I know to do. In February 2014 I had ANOTHER allergic reaction, was sent to doctors office and had to get a shot! Was in bed for the whole weekend again. I am only leasing this vehicle and they wont fix it!!

My car was purchased June of 2006. In 2012 I was on my home my low oil light came on. When I got home I had my husband check my oil and he said there was no oil on the dipstick. He asked if I had just had my oil change told him no. Said thought maybe they forgot to put the cap back on. He looked under the car and there was no sign of oil leaking. I call Lexus and explained what happened and was advised to bring it in. I brought car in and was told there was no sign of a leak. Told them I know its not leaking but it is burning somewhere. Said they checked everything and it looks good.My car continued to have this oil problem and I was putting oil before it was time for an oil change. For the past 4 years I have been putting at least 5 quarts of oil every other month. This has really been a burden to pay so much for a luxury car thats been giving me problems within 6 year old. I contact Lexus Corp which was a lost cause they are no help and do not want to do anything to help me. This couldve very well been part of a recall that consumers may have a complaint but was never recorded. If anyone has had or still having this same problem with this year model please respond.

Although I actually like my 2011 RX 450h, I am extremely disappointed with Lexus from a warranty perspective. Basically, it appears absolutely nothing is ever covered under the warranty. Since I purchased this new vehicle two years ago, I have spent thousands of dollars for required maintenance. Additionally, the tires were faulty from day one and required replacement at $1900 a pop. I cant wait for my lease to end so I can get out of this nicely appointed money pit and go back to BMW, where the service requirements are few and far between - and absolutely everything is always covered under the warranty.

We have owned about 9 Lexus over the past 20 years. All great vehicles. In March 2016 we purchased a new Rx 350. At about 6000 miles it started surging and hesitating. Cruise control is almost usable. Our horror started in February 2017 when we complained about issue. Lexus acknowledged there was a issue and fix was on the way. About 3 weeks later Lexus called and said fix was in, we carried vehicle to Lexus for a 15 minute fix. There was no improvement. When I complained, Lexus said I needed to talk to Lexus customer care. After 4 months and carrying complaint to arbitration, big joke, Lexus said vehicle was satisfactory. I am stuck with a lemon.

Bought a 2008 Sewell RX350 in 2010; thought I was buying a luxury SUV, not so. First problem: Melted rubber handle on back door. Went to a Houston Lexus dealership and was told $500 to fix, couldnt just replace rubber cover, had to replace whole unit. Second problem: Chrome finish on both rear wheels is peeling - another defect. Third problem: Had to replace water pump +$1000 bill. All this on a garaged 2008 RX 350 with less than 80k miles! Im a previous owner of a 2000 Ford Explorer and 2004 Nissan Pathfinder (both kept for 10 yrs 100k miles) - no problems with either one. Last Lexus for me! Now (7/2017) an oil leak. Now (1/2018) the dashboard is starting to crack. Called Lexus to get repaired under enhanced warranty program, I was told since the SUV was bought in 2007 that the 10 warranty does not apply. NEVER RECEIVED LETTER ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LEXUS OR TOYOTA!!

The calipers on the Lexus are really low end. They corrode and seize onto the rotor. Very much a safety issue and there should be a recall. I am having to eat the cost to change both seized rear calipers. They were so badly seized that I had to undo them from the brake line and try to work the slide pins out and even used a torch to heat them to no avail. I ordered 2 new aftermarket calipers and will put them on this week. Also, A/C drain gets clogged from inferior packing and leaks water all over the carpet which can produce harmful mold. Lexus wants $2,000 to unclog the drain and add new improved packing. Requires unbolting tranny and manifold. I am going to try and get my arm up on there where the firewall meets the bell housing and pull the grommet out. This car has had fuel rail recalls, valve recall, piston ring recall and several visits for squeaky brakes. All these problems are really unacceptable for what is supposed to be a well built car.

The car when collected was great and then; no handbook for the sat Nav/Bluetooth etc. The dealer has tried over what are now months to obtain the handbook from Lexus but they refuse to even acknowledge the request. I recently purchased a 2019 Lexus ES 350. I have owned the car for 4 months now. When I originally purchased the car I advised my sales person that the rear speakers were not working. Of course she said yes they are and did some minor adjustments. Then my husband and I were joyriding and he realized there was no output from the rear speakers. So I called Lexus, made an appointment and took the car in for service. Later that day I received a call from the service advisor, advising me there was a problem with the woofer and the speakers but there was nothing they could do about. He stated, We are aware there is an issue but we are waiting on lexus. So I responded, You guys are aware there is an issue with the car but you are not notifying the consumer before purchasing a car? He replied, It looks that way; but as soon as we get a resolution we will inform you.So next I called corporate and spoke with a call center representative and then a supervisor who stated the same thing. We are aware of the problem and will notify you when we have a resolution. Now the problem I have with that is that Lexus has yet to inform or notify the consumer publicly that there is an issue the 2019 Lexus ES350. Instead they are continuing to take our money and we are left to deal with problem. That is so unfair.I have done my research and there have been numerous complaints with no resolution. I would love to expose LEXUS for not addressing this issue nor notifying the public. I am so frustrated and hurt. I just want my car fixed in a timely fashion and not to have other consumers ripped off or taken advantage of. Please call me (**)or respond to me via email to investigate Lexus.

Turned in my leased 2014 GS350 three months early to a dealer in Idaho on 10 June 2016. I leased the vehicle in California. I paid my three months of payments and was told by the dealer that the car was in excellent shape. Two months later, I receive a bill from Lexus Financial requiring that I pay over $230 for excess wear and use. When I called them about it, they claim that the front bumper was cracked and they have posted a picture of it on an internet website. The picture was taken 5 days after I turned the car in to the dealer. I told three different customer service reps that there was no crack when I left the car at the dealership. They dont care. Lexus Financial is requiring full payment, as the last customer service rep told me that my contract states that I am responsible for damage occurring to the vehicle AFTER I turn it in.I called customer service at Lexus Corporate and complained. That representative took my information and placed it in my file, which she said she would do nothing with... which left me appalled. She asked me what I expected her to do with the complaint so I told her that I would expect that Lexus would care enough about a customer who, prior to this issue, was ecstatic about their Lexus experience to reach out and remedy the situation to the customers complete satisfaction. Apparently, they dont do that. It is sad, because the experience I had with Newport Lexus and Riverside Lexus is now being spoiled forever by Lexus Financial over $230. If they do nothing about it, they are surely a stupid company.

I purchased my car new in 2007. Its a white Lexus GS350. I cant justify buying a NEW car because Ive never had any trouble with my car and it purrs like a kitten, very quiet outside and inside. I do bring my car in for its regular maintenance check ups and oil change services. On top of the superior maintenance; each trip includes customer care services when I bring my car in for services. And, provides condiments, beverages, magazine/newspapers, TV and wifi services extraordinaire! The car itself has great pick up energy. I need to have this capability if Im heading onto a steady stream of traffic. Push the pedal to the metal and you will be impressed. Also, I receive lots of compliments about how smooth the car ride is. People are very complimentary providing positive comments about my car; ride, comfort, Looks like new comments. Even though my car is a pure white, I have on a few (almost unnoticeable) pinpoint chips from roadway sand, rocks, etc. You probably wouldnt notice it but I would. To me, this means the car has an excellent original paint job. LOVE MY LEXUS! Okay, my only complaint and its a big one for me, the front wheel hub caps ALWAYS turn a nasty dirty look 2 days after its been washed and dried. Drives me crazy!!! Am told that its normal and nothing can be done. Hmmm? Seems like with technology, there would be such a fairly easy solution. Lexus... need to work on this!!!

Be careful with this problem, I had it happen to me and the dealer said it will likely be a 2500 dollar repair. I went on the net and researched the problem and found it required a software update so I thought 2500 is a bit much so from my computer experiences. I thought a reboot might work so I disconnected the battery cable and left it off for about 10 minutes while I cleaned the cables and posts. Once reconnected, rebooting started and problem fixed proving to me once again that all car dealers are crooks and now Lexus is at the top of all the crooks. It took me about 15 minutes total to do this repair saving me 2500 dollars which equates to 10 thousand dollars an hour at the dealership. They should be arrested for fraud.

We didnt realize that we didnt have the built in navigation system when we bought the vehicle but we do like the backup notification that you can see behind you until it bings. Before I begin my complaint I would like to say the car drives very well and is very sporty. I get a lot of compliments on the vehicle, then they say why is that peeling like that? My Email correspondence with Lexus about my issue: I have a 2006 GS300. I recently noticed my molding along the front windshield that runs along the top to the windshield beginning to PEEL. Really unbelievable for a luxury car. It is embarrassing and damaging to the Lexus brand to have something like this occur AT NO FAULT of my own to this vehicle. I was at the local dealership on a separate issue and was told the roof drip molding was $763.67, absolutely unbelievable. Total repair cost $1200. Why would this peel like this? This is my second Lexus. I had a LS430 before this. I have by far had more issues out of this vehicle than any others I have owned. I am just blown away and I need Lexus to stand behind their brand. I would like the roof molding repaired. This is just ridiculous to have an issue like this on this type of car.The response from Lexus: Thank you for contacting the Lexus Customer Satisfaction Department regarding your 2006 GS 300, Vehicle Identification Number **. We appreciate the time you have taken to share your thoughts. As an automotive manufacturer, Lexus feels its warranty is one of the most comprehensive in the industry, and demonstrates faith in the performance and reliability of its product line. Lexus also realizes that product failures can occur on any vehicle at any time, and regrets any inconvenience this may cause. In an effort to be sensitive to the expectations of Lexus customers, we review matters on a case by case basis when a product failure occurs outside the warranty period. We have examined all information pertinent to your request for assistance, including the nature of the repair, mileage on the vehicle, and the warranty expiration date. We conclude it is not appropriate for Lexus to provide assistance on the repair of the front windshield moldings. We apologize that this may not be the response you hoped for. If you require further assistance, please contact the Lexus Customer Satisfaction Department at 1-800-255-3987, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Pacific Time.My final response: First off thank you for your time and attention to my concern, however I am not pleased with the decision. I see now purchasing a second Lexus was a mistake on my part. I understand Lexus has the right to not stand behind their product and I have the right to not purchase their product. I understand CLEARLY from the discussion from my service advisor that I purchased a USED vehicle not a new one. However as I stated I purchased a used Lexus with a verifiable service history. In fact it was a Lexus certified vehicle. I purchased a used Lexus, not a used Hyundai, Mazda, Chevy, Honda or Ford. Which by the way has a more comprehensive warranty than a Lexus. 5 years, 7 years, and lifetime on certain parts. And cost far less on the initial purchase. Now a Lexus as stated in consumer reports has a better resale and loan value. So I suppose there is the trade off.But as I stated on the outset I will not be purchasing another USED Lexus product certified or not. I will however let the message board know about my experience. I will also let anyone know about Lexus products/customer service and if the paint begins to peel for no reason, out of the blue it’s your issue. Lexus customer service will stand behind the small issues but when it comes to anything costly you’re on your own. I wonder if the door falls off next or the spoiler blows off while driving, the bumper just comes unhooked for no reason, my seat brakes apart… I mean really whats next. Even though it’s a luxury car, it’s not quality built - these are things that should not happen to this type of car. This email may not mean much in the grand picture. I am just one consumer, but I will exercise my right as a consumer. My wife and I have owned Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Audi, and Infiniti. We never had any issues like this to occur. Lexus wants nearly $1200 for a piece of plastic molding!!! Ironically I have never heard of these things happening with a Toyota, only with a Lexus. A Lexus may look good but the quality is another subject.

My 2008 Lexus RX350 was towed to the dealer. Battery was dead. I am now told the fuses were burned out probably because the tow driver tried to start the battery. This makes no sense as the driver did the procedure correctly and no sparks came out of battery. They have my car since Wednesday 3/14. Today is Friday and no word when the car will be ready. Currently, the cost is approx $460.00. All I want to know is is this a common problem with all fuses blowing? My car has about 50,000 miles and less than 1 month ago. I had routine service at $300.00 at the same dealer (it was the 50,000 check up which was done at 47,000 miles).I dont want to make trouble but I want to be sure I am not being taken advantage of. I like the rearview camera and lane departure warning systems. The lane departure warning is very helpful, as well as the backup camera. Controls are easy to reach on the dashboard. But I do not like the driver side seat as compared to my BMW seats as it does not hold you in the seat enough. I also dislike the seat headrest as it is too far forward.

Am trying to assist a friend who owns an RX300 and was appalled by what she told me about her trans. problems. I own a 2005 Toyota Matrix (same co., same Ivory Tower board of directors). HELLO!!!!! And Ive been beyond appalled by what Ive read on the internet about inexcusable DEFECTS of Lexus products. I also am beginning to have trans. issues, so now I am doubly concerned! I am a CAR GUY and give quite a few people advice on WHAT TO BUY. From what Ive read in just the last few days on the internet, Ive just put Lexus on my DO NOT BUY LIST!! It is time for CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS; as was mentioned by the complaint I last read 5 min. ago. N.B. after several days of reading complaint after complaint, finally someone mentioned CLASS ACTION! PLEASE someone out there respond to this plea for help so we can get the ball rolling.

I purchased a brand new 2015 Lexus IS 250 in the South Atlanta Dealership.
I purchased a brand new 2015 Lexus IS 250 in the South Atlanta Dealership. I cant complain about Bryan, the person who sold it to me. He was great. Now I had to bring it in for my first free 5000 miles service. I drove 1 1/2 to Atlanta thinking they were going to do the first oil change. When I get there they tell me it is not for an oil change. That my vehicle because it is the F Sport doesnt require an oil change until it reaches 10,000 miles so all they did was check the fluids and the minimum service supposedly required. Now I just took it in for my 10,000 mile service and they do the first oil change. I ask Colby what oil they use, the blend or the full synthetic and he tells me he used the full synthetic. The full synthetic would not require me to change the oil until the following 10,000 miles but when I leave the dealership and I look at the sticker they place on the windshield I notice it requires me to change the oil in the next 5,000 miles. I do not understand. So I am guessing they used the blend and not the full synthetic. Not only that, when they give me the paper stating the car was complete and I go out to get my car I see a young gentleman jump in my car and drive off on it. I ask one of the person at the service desk why did they take my car again and she starts trying to contact and find out who had it. A couple of seconds passed and here they bring it back to me. As the young gentleman comes out of my vehicle he states he had left something inside my vehicle and had to get it, but why just not open the vehicle and take whatever item he had left inside instead of driving off on it? Now 10 days later my maintenance light comes on stating my car is due for an oil and filter change. I called the Lexus service department and they tell me they forgot to do the reset and that is why the light was coming on so they guide me on how to do it through the phone. I am really disappointed about the service provided here. Dont know if they just didnt care because it was the first 2 free services provided to me. Honestly I love my Lexus but I am not sure if I will drive another 1 1/2 to just get a poor service done on my vehicle. Will probably just use a Toyota dealership here in my area.

My model is a 6 passenger compact SUV. It has great storage or back seat for groceries and I can fit 5 very comfortably and 6 if need be. There were a couple of models in this style with many different colors and amenities you can choose from or upgrade to. Also they have options for wonderful upgrades and even options if you just want certain things added. Some they had to order but it only takes a couple of days for delivery of the items or car thats chosen. I was able to choose what was available or tell them what I liked and they would find the one with the features I wanted. I love my vehicle because its not huge but can fit things like it is.

2nd and very LAST Lexus from Lexus San Diego! I never thought that service really made a difference if you had a great product. I have since learned that lesson. This dealership is absolutely the worst. They will never call you back. Their sales people wont even call you back! Dumbfounded... I have moved on to Mercedes. If you were to compare the two based on service, Lexus SD would be the equivalent to a 16 yr old waiter at your local burger joint, while Mercedes service would be similar to a maître d’ at one on New Yorks finest restaurants. Thanks for nothing Lexus SD.

We leased a new 2018 NX300 at the beginning of April 2018 in Kingston Ontario Canada this year and in August while driving to town my wife hit a deer taking out the grill and camera, etc. It is now November and its still not fixed. The reason: parts on backorder. How can a brand new vehicle have parts on backorder? First a fog light, then an electronic component for the lane departure. The list goes on. Four months to repair a vehicle due to parts on backorder. The local dealer wont answer my emails, wont answer my phone calls all because Im getting upset with how this is handled and the length of time it takes. Not to mention Im paying a lease on a vehicle we cant access. We made the mistake of leasing two Lexus vehicles but I promise this will be rectified when the lease concludes. ILL NEVER LEASE ANOTHER LEXUS ANYTHING.

The garage door opener on my new RX350 opens the door from inside the garage, and closes the door when sitting directly in front of the garage. But with the door closed it wont open the door. I have a $12 mobile opener clipped to my visor. Service department sent out a tech to verify that I had the opener programmed correctly. IT worked for him one time, but then wouldnt work for me. He came back and couldnt get it to work. I think the signal is just weak, or the antenna is not hooked up. But I dont like not being able to open the garage door with my $53k car. Im sure this is not a common problem for Lexus but Id like to see some resolution to this problem.

This Lexus 350 ES is very comfortable, roomy, smooth & quiet ride. Also good looking, feels heavy on the road, great services. Had to get the ES since RX too high for me - not comfortable on my back. Convenient dealer for service and free, unlimited car washes!!! 5th Lexus purchased - some different models RX & ES, great service all over the world and especially from this dealer. I love the ease of a loaner when they are doing work on my car. But I would like a tighter turning radius for the car and to have the ES in a hatchback type of rear for larger packages, luggage, etc. Better gas mileage, cheaper price in purchase and service too.

Lexus 2010 RX450 - The front seats have been cracking/splitting for some period of time. Upon discovering that this wearing was not normal, I took the car to the Scanlon/Lexus Ft. Myers, FL. I cant tell with accuracy when this cracking started, but I am 100% certain that it started well within the warranty period. Even though the car was only 4 months out of the warranty. This is my third and LAST Lexus. They refused to do anything about it. They did call in the regional Lexus rep who basically would not give me any satisfaction in trying to get the seats repaired. I reported this problem to the Lexus corporate office in May 2015, incident #**. Their attitude was what have you done for us lately in terms of taking the car in for service to a Lexus dealer. I have spent over $128,000 in the past 10 years on Lexus cars, but I will not spend another penny on repairing a problem that is the result of poor materials or workmanship. I will be submitting a complaint with the local BBB, ASAP.

My car failed due to the battery compartment taking on water. I went to the dealership and they advised me to put in a claim with my insurance company. My insurance company denied the claim as there was a service bulletin from 2009 about how to repair the issue. Needless to say my car is out of warranty and has over 130,000 miles on it. Regardless I was never aware of the bulletin. Had I been made aware of this I would have had the car fixed at my expense to avoid this issue. Why would they relay to the insurance company and not notify the customer and keep this a secret. Was it to avoid a recall of the cars? There is a blog site where the issue has come up on these cars. Where there not enough complaints? On a positive note corporate was advised of my issue and has agreed to offer a warranty price which came out to approximately 4300 to 4900 hundred dollars. Needless to say, this is much more than my 500 dollar deductible that the insurance company would have received if this bulletin had not come up. I love my Lexus RX 400 and recommend the cars there are the best of the best. Its this issue that keeps me up at night. I am still trying to resolve and feel that I should not have had to pay anything.

I bought my Lexus at Butler South Atlanta. On the very first day, July 3rd 2017, that I received my new Lexus, there a major problem by the time it was driven 152 miles (very first day of having my car). The car went into limp mode, not being able to exceed 25MPH. This was alarming to me since this was suppose to be a new car. I was shocked to know a check engine light came on and the car would not go past 25 MPH. When it was taken into the dealership, the mechanic cleared the codes and said it was suppose to be fine. A few days later, I noticed a very loud knocking sound (Clack, Clack, Clack) coming from the engine. It sounded terrible, much like an old truck that has several hundred thousand miles on it. The sound even began growing in intensity. When I took it to the dealership (2nd visit in less than 15 days), I was told by the service advisor that this was normal. I was shocked to hear this diagnostic. I left but each day the sound kept growing louder. Eventually, I took it back. 2 weeks later (3rd visit in about 30 days), this time I requested that someone else looked at the car so a supervisor came out. He immediately said that the car needed to be taken in. I was very frustrated since I had not been able to enjoy my new car which is suppose to be a reliable brand. At the dealership, the engine of the car was stripped to get to the problem. After 9 days of having my car at Lexus, I was told that the work was completed. I was informed that there was damage to the cylinders and a block assembly was replaced. The cost of this repair was more than $10,000. Here was a new car with less than 700 miles with damage to it costing more than $10,000. This repair, however, was covered under the existing warranty. When I contacted Lexus customer satisfaction about the issue, I was told that there was nothing they could do since they already honored the warranty by repairing the car. The case manager, Amie, was hostile to me, and further offered no solution or attempt to please a dissatisfied customer. I requested to speak to her supervisor who called me two days later and demonstrated a poor ability to listen, always demanding that he be listened to. I am shocked that Lexus employs people for customer satisfaction who treat customers in such a pejorative manner. These people are giving Lexus and Peggy Turner a poor brand image. The supervisor, Mike, told me all they could do is offer me a two-time credit for services. Really? A new car with problems from the very first day of ownership and which has caused me much distress and frustration. From the moment I saw the $10,000 cost of repair for this new car, I was immediately troubled and wanted a mutually agreeable solution. To date, Lexus has refused to offer me a reasonable solution for a Lemon car that I bought. On July 3 when I got my car, I was planning an out of town trip with my family for July 4th but the trip was cancelled because of problem with the lemon RX350. This experience especially having to deal with a non-customer satisfaction office, has left me with nothing but a nightmare and a car that I dont know what is the next problem that will occur. Ill post pics of the car and the $10,000 plus bill to social media to sensitize people so they can make a determination whether they really want to purchase a car from a brand that is insensitive to customer needs. PS. Two weeks ago I sent an email to the GM at the dealership from where I bought the Lexus and he refused to display the common courtesy of giving me a response.

It is also obvious that Lexus does not care. I am very upset as I have addressed Corporate with this and they do not care at all. They are losing a lot of customers as well as myself because of this. I recently had the experience of being denied repairs of my Lexus (VIN 2T2B
I recently had the experience of being denied repairs of my Lexus (VIN 2T2BK1BA7AC015824). A known problem exists in the steering column of my particular model, a 2010-2011 Lexus RX350. So, this parts failing falls under the following: (1) a known problem by Lexus and (2) a very new car still under warranty. The only caveat to this situation is that I travel for work, and I spend some of my time in Minsk. I have a Lexus sedan here in the United States, and only just recently took the RX 350 to be my car in Minsk. There, I began to discover the steering noise issue. I understand that the standard procedure for Lexus would be to only cover warranty issues within the United States.I personally feel that this is a special case; I will have to have the vehicle repaired in Europe, so I am prepared to pay for the labor through a Lexus dealer, but I strongly feel that the $1700, plus part I had to order to replace an existing flaw in my Lexus, should not be paid by me. As mentioned, I purchased this Lexus in the United States, I still own another Lexus in the United States, and one day, I will return this Lexus to the United States. My request to have this part paid for has been denied. I find this very hard to believe. The trend with many large companies is a disregard towards customer service that will build brand loyalty. I did not think Lexus was one of these companies, and I am deeply disappointed. It has been my understanding that Lexus leads the industry in retaining the highest percentage of vehicle owners. Neal Oddes, director of product research at J.D. Power and Associates said that, By satisfying its customers on many different levels, Lexus consistently enjoys high-retention rates and “customer retention is extremely valuable in the auto industry because it costs manufacturers less to keep existing customers than to attract new ones, and strong retention fosters favorable word of mouth. Why now would Lexus want to risk its word of mouth reputation in my case? I have a friend who has been at war with GM over the poorest of customer relations efforts and vehicle issues; I personally found it comforting in owning a Lexus. I do not have to deal with such customer disregard, and would readily make this known. Now, I no longer have comfort in owning a Lexus. Where is the world class customer service that creates retention? Maybe you should all take a moment and read the following article on customer service. I understand that this issue is falling under what might be considered special circumstances; however, I had believed Lexus would treat me as a loyal customer, not as an invaluable statistic. This is all very unfortunate, and on principle alone, I am not going to stop pursuing a resolve to this situation. I know there has to be someone in the Lexus organization who cares enough to spend $1700 of Lexus money in order to preserve a reputation that has likely taken years and billions of dollars to build.A colleague of mine recently shared a negative experience he had with a large Canadian airline. He had purchased a ticket to return home last year for the Christmas holiday but was unable to do so because of medical reasons. It was his understanding that the value of the ticket would be honored for one year from the scheduled date of travel. However, the airlines policy was actually to credit the value of the ticket for one year from the purchase date. This information wasnt printed on his ticket, and when he contacted the airline, he spoke with four members of its customer service department, including a senior manager, and received four different explanations of the airlines policy and his possible remedies.During a time following the horrific events of September 2001, my colleague thought this airline, now more than ever (especially after requesting government relief due to lost revenue), would bend over backward to satisfy him, and keep him as a regular customer. Airlines were slashing fares as much as 50 percent to entice fearful passengers to once again take to the skies. He was utterly shocked and appalled. However, he experienced the lengths to which this airline went in the opposite direction. Each of the four representatives gave four greatly varied definitions of the airlines refund and rescheduling policy. Each apologized for his inconvenience yet repeatedly told him what they could not - and would not - do for him. In the short term, the immediate savings by the airline were $400, the value of the unused ticket. The net loss over the long term, however, will be much, much greater. Not only will he and his family never use this airline (they spend about $3,000 annually) they are so furious that theyve told many friends about this experience. Not surprisingly, everyone theyve told has been shocked and appalled, also, saying they, too, will never fly with this carrier in the future.Understanding that the customer is the source of a companys revenue, it logically follows that every customer must be made as happy as possible, especially so during an industry-wide crisis of historic magnitude. Seeing as its not the owner of a company that routinely interacts with customers, but rather the sales staff, operators, customer service representatives and et cetera have direct contact. It must be a clearly understood rule that the customer must always feel right. The customer has to be treated in a way that sets a company apart from competitors. If a company successfully merges this philosophy with a superior product or service, it can earn customer loyalty and in turn, become profitable. Case in point: Nordstrom. A Nordstrom customers experience provides a perfect counter to the aforementioned airlines woeful customer service practices. For years, the story has circulated about a man who had returned tires to a Nordstrom store, and it provides an excellent example of how to exercise a customer-first approach to business. The story is true. Nordstrom built a store in Alaska at a location that had previously included a tire store. A man, failing to realize the tire store no longer existed, brought car tires into Nordstrom, and asked for a refund. Despite the companys position as a clothier (seemingly everyone knows the only rubber Nordstroms sells is on the bottom of sneakers), the sales associate nonetheless issued some type of refund or store credit, thus satisfying the customer. When people talk about this story, many cant remember if it was a man or a woman, a young or old person, but they always remember that it was Nordstrom who put its customer first.Although this example is extreme, and I dont suggest that a company make a habit of issuing refunds, for merchandise it doesnt sell, the underlying principle stands: For long-term prosperity and patron loyalty, a customer must always feel right, even when shes wrong. Even if a company such as the airline in question doesnt want to adhere to this same level of customer service, or more likely, doesnt believe it can afford to, the only question I would ask its top brass is, Can you afford not to? Word of mouth is by far the single most important marketing vehicle a company can hope for. Think of what the word of the mouth may do for this airlines long-term outlook. Not only has the airline lost loyal customers and likely many more once this story spreads, but more importantly, the employees who initially offered the incorrect information to a loyal customer and then blamed the customer himself for acting on the information he received, are still employed. How much more inaccurate information these employees are going to disperse, and what will be the resulting net loss?Follow Nordstroms lead, not the woeful path cut by the airline. Before the next customer crisis arises at your company, I urge you to ask yourself the following questions, so you are prepared to handle the situation appropriately: How does your company resolve customer disputes, concerns, questions or problems? Do your people automatically go on the defensive, citing policies, procedures and counting warranty periods to the day? Is there a mission statement or customer policy in place that governs all aspects of customer service, including conflict resolution? You cant put the onus on your customers to get it right every time. Too many companies focus on the reasons why they cant help a customer, rather than offering solutions to help fix his problem. The reality is, problems will arise. The problems are not the challenge. The challenge is responding to these problems effectively; these responses help determine a companys ultimate success or failure.

I have a 2005 ES330 car that is certified pre-owned. It has defective back windows that wont go up or down. Its CD player is broken. Theres condensation in headlights. I have had the back windows repaired 3 times. On the 4th visit, they finally replaced the motors, which corrected the problem. I had wasted 3 trips to Lexus, time off from work and finally the issue is resolved. However, now the tint has come off of the back right window. It is apparent, the trouble with the windows being taken out and repaired 4 times has caused this. The CD player has been in for repair also, along with the windows. The CD player is broken, the cover wont open, and will not play. I have been informed by the Lexus Corp. that due to the car being out of warranty, they will not repair it. My argument is the car has been in the service department for the same repairs 3 times, which has never been property fixed. After reading these reviews, I dont think I will ever buy a Lexus again. I found 3 design flaws with my 2012 LS460L none of which Lexus will fix. The 1st incident occurred in Novato, CA making a right turn from the Ignacio Blvd bridge over 101N to Nave Dr. after a rain the previous day. When the front of the car slid slightly, the skid control turned the wheels sharply to the left forcing the car into the lane to my left. Fortunately, there was no car in that lane or there would have been an accident. I was able to regain control but Lexus refuses to investigate this issue insisting it must be reproduced by a dealer for them to act. This is impossible as no dealer has facilities to do this. The 2nd incident occurred on a hill at the intersection of Willard & Parnassus in San Francisco on 3/14/14. I had made a U-Turn to enter a parking space on Willard and was facing downhill. When I put the car in reverse, it rapidly rolled forward which is not expected in an automatic. I submitted video evidence of this to Lexus and this problem was reproduced by Freeman Lexus in Santa Rosa which, however, has no way to fix the problem, and Lexus refuses to do so though this, too, could be a safety hazard. This 3rd incident occurred on 4/14/14 when, at Woodland Market in Ross, I put my car in reverse and the rear view camera did not come on. I put it back in park and then back into reverse and the camera still did not come on. I made a video of this and sent it to Lexus and went to Lexus of Marin to show them the problem. They would have to take the car but I could not give it to them and explained this would not occur again if the car was turned off and started again - which I showed them to be true. This also could be a hazard but Freeman Lexus cannot reproduce this and Lexus absolves itself of any responsibility. Lexus, in fact, tells me if the car works as designed based on what the dealer can find, they will not fix or investigate the issue even if safety is involved. This violates the Toyota DOJ agreement.

2007 Touch Screen on my IS 250 Lexus - On Feb 17, I had my Map Quest updated while my car was in for the 140,000 miles service. I noticed the Map Quest remained on the touch screen at all times where before it did not. The week of the 10 of March, the Touch Screen stopped working. I returned the car to the dealership on March 20 and received a call that it would take $3,100 to repair the touch screen. Also it was going to take 2 days to get the screen in to replace the old one. I have also contacted Lexus Headquarters in CA to see what they can do. I purchased this car New from Lexus In VA (what a Nightmare of a dealership); therefore, I begin going to one in Maryland which I was hoped would not be just after money/buy a new car. Well they are turning out to be the SAME. UNACCEPTABLE, I am not giving them this amount of money because I have given Lexus too much money. So one please let me know what backyard or shade-tree dealer who can fix the touch screen.

For two generations, our family has been very loyal by purchasing Toyota cars to drive. For the last 40 years, our family has purchased and driven at least 25 Toyota cars. But we were disappointed with our brand new 2007 Lexus ES350. On December 27th, 2012, I read the article on Yahoo news about the Toyota Motors agreement for settlement of Unintended Acceleration. Well, I owned this 2007 Lexus ES350 and experienced that sudden acceleration problem when the car was set on cruise control driving on the freeway. Therefore, I submitted a written letter by email to Toyota Motors explaining my findings. The reasons for selling this car are because (1) I never heard any reply back from Toyota Motors after submitting a letter to customer service. (2) my wife and family members in Asia was afraid of us driving it in the United States with an accident. Furthermore, they live very far away to come to our immediate attention if we were involved in an accident. (3) Lastly, there were sad news happening here and there because of this sudden acceleration issue. Finally, I sold the car to CarMax dealership in Monrovia, California in March of 2011 with less than 7,000 miles on the odometer. At first, I even went to Longo Lexus/ Toyota (which is the largest Toyota dealership in the United States) to sell the car back, but they explained that there is no recall on my car. The Longo Lexus service foreman even went on a test drive with me in my car and on the street. Also, Longo Lexus/ Toyota refused to give me a reasonable offer to buy my car back. I paid $40,000 brand new and sold the car at a big loss for only $24,000 to CarMax with less than 7,000 miles on the odometer because we were afraid to drive the car.Continuously, our friends and family comfort me that life is more valuable than losing money on a known trouble car. How come Toyota never bothered to help when we have an issue? What happened to good old Toyota reputation? Kindly help me in this matter!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I lease a Lexus IS300Fsport, I have had it for about 1 1/2 years now and I have had several issues with my car and Lexus does not care about trying to fix my problems. Ill start with when taking it in for oil change and regular service I advised them that my rear passenger tire had a problem because it was losing air and I was having to fill the tire every two weeks. I was told on 3 separate occasions there was nothing wrong with the tire. In December on my way to a meeting 2 hours away from home on the Turnpike I had a blow out on that tire. As of today I am still waiting for the service manager of the Fort Pierce location to call me back. When taking the car to a tire place I was informed that all 4 tires needed to be replaced as they were all cracked/dry rotted. This car is only 1 1/2 years old and has 25,000 miles. I was then shown that I needed brakes in the front. I spent $1,700.00 for tires and brakes on a new car. I have had many cars in my time and have never had to replace tires and brakes that soon and that low mileage. When I called the corporate office their response was that it was not uncommon. How is that even possible. They had no interest in helping me. On December 25, 2019 I got in the car to find a very nasty wet odor, I proceeded to feel the carpets and found that the passenger back carpet and under the seat was very wet, I dropped it off to the Kendal dealership as I was down there and going out of town. They had my car for 17 days. Never called to update me about the car nor called at any time to tell me what they were trying to do. I called every two days and got no information. After 17 days they called to tell me that they could not find anything and that I needed to pay them because they took the passenger seat out (without calling me to let me know this). By the way the car is under warranty. After 17 days I picked up my car with the same wet smell and wet carpet with them telling me I must have left a window open which I did not! They would not even dry it out for me which I asked them to do so that I could see if it happened again. I left the dealership and noticed that the cover plate underneath the car was not attached and was dragging, I went right back for them to tell me that it was not a big deal. It just needed to be clipped on, well why would the service person not do that before taking the car down off the lift. I then get home and it was dark at this point, but the next morning I woke to see that my driver side rim is destroyed!! I called the dealer immediately to advise them of this for them to tell me the manager was on a business trip and would return Saturday 1/18. I am at this point still waiting for him/her to call me back to discuss this matter. This is a lease and I can not turn the car in with a destroyed rim nor do I want to drive a $50,000 car that is only 1 1/2 years old with a destroyed rim. I am so disappointed in Lexus product but even more so with their staff/managers at more than one location. I would advise anyone thinking of getting a Lexus to spend your money elsewhere. I have been the owner of very expensive sports cars and have never had problems like this. The worst part is that Lexus does not even care! I guess that is what you can do when you are such a big cooperation. My daughter in law was either buying my lease out when it came time or getting a Lexus. I have advised her not to do either.... Very unhappy customer!

Lexus has small, midsize, and large vehicles. It has hybrid options too. They are very high safety and overall appearance. They also have great customer service. The details on this vehicle are classic so if you purchase a used or new car, you will be satisfied. This company takes great pride in producing luxury vehicles. The buyer can upgrade to meet a variety of personalization such as rack or foot board on an SUV, a sunroof, tinted windows, seat warmers, and wheels. The RX 350 sits 5 people comfortably even if one person is tall. The back seats recline a little to add extra comfort on long trips. The driver has the ability to boost their seat for better visibility.

Im dissatisfied by the lack of concern from Lexus for the issue Im having with a 6yr old vehicle. A Lexus dealership advised that my vehicle needs a new transmission and again the car is only 6yrs old. I spoke with a case manager who said there was nothing she could do about it. I asked to escalate the complaint and was told management had already made the decision. I asked to speak to someone in management and was told management doesnt speak to customers. What horrible customer service from Lexus if this is indeed true. I will never purchase another Lexus and cant wait to get rid of this car. I will also make sure those close to me do not have to deal with the same amount of frustration and advised them to not waste their money on a Lexus because they dont care about their customers. Lexus ES300H is my dream car. Become my nightmare now. My new car water leaking into the car within 6 months & 8 months. The 1st incident was the sunroof leaking and the 2nd incident was the aircon evaporator coil. I am very disappointed such a premium given such problem. Furthermore, Lexus Service Centre does not have the spare parts on hand. Therefore, I got to wait for a month plus for Lexus Service Centre to repair it.

First... Let me say that my Lexus dealership is fantastic. They were available and worked hard to solve my problem. That being said... My problem was with Lexus Roadside Assistance Program. At 6 pm I hit a rather large pothole with my CT200 which resulted in a flat tire. I got myself to a place out of traffic and called my dealership who told me I could call Lexus Roadside Assistance and gave me the # and transferred me. The call rang and rang... Finally someone picked up... Asked me if I was in a safe location (I responded yes) and said ok... She was going to place me back on hold, they just wanted to initially make sure I was not in an accident and was in a safe location. (My impression was high... Its a good process).I was then on hold for 20 minutes! I hung up and called back... Went through the same process... Another 15 minutes later I repeated my process and when the safety person answered the phone I asked him to please not put me on hold that I had been waiting for a while to speak to someone. He arrogantly told me that my situation was not priority and they were getting slammed with accidents and put me on hold.I called my dealership for advice... They were baffled and suggested I call AAA... I also ask them if the service manager who has ALWAYS been helpful, could give me a call when he got a chance. I hung up and called AAA and placed the request. In the meantime the service manager got hold of someone at Roadside Assistance and conferenced them in to me. At first the client service rep was seemingly irritated, but then calmed down and took my information and told me hed call AAA. I told him I had already done that. I must say that the ticket placed by Lexus was answered prior to my personal call to AAA, which is another matter, but I waited and AAA showed up and took care of my problem. While this is not as big an issue as others have had and I was not in danger... Merely irritated... I do have to speak to their customer service representatives and the process they have in place. They do have a system to find out the urgency of each callers situation, however, from a provider of high end luxury cars, the service seemed to stop there. Perhaps those who were having a true emergency received stellar service, but I should have too. Once it was determined that I was safe I shouldnt have had extended wait time to speak with someone... I was a woman, alone in a disabled car, in a not perfect location at dark. I should not have had to wait for over an hour to finally get in touch with someone for assistance.I would have preferred that Lexus process took into account that everyone calling them needed to be attended to in a timely fashion. It seems they have attempted to create a process, it just doesnt work well for non-emergency consumers.

I bought a new 2013 Lexus ES350 last year, and was very excited. It was my first luxury car indulgence. Im 63 years old, and recently retired. Mechanically, the car ran and drove great. But, the lack of common sense creature comforts in the front cabin became such an irritation that I ended up trading it in - even though I took a depreciation hit of over $15K. Here are the specifics:1) It is very difficult to exit the car. The low ground clearance was difficult for me, especially since I have some hip issues. The other factor is that the door does not have an intermediate stop position. So, when you open it, it will tend to start closing on you. Many times I had to kick the door to keep it open, just so I could get out. You learn to do this after it shuts on your leg, which is quite painful. This was an issue for the passengers as well. In addition to just being annoying, the bottom door panel became filthy from all of the foot prints.2) There is ZERO convenient storage in the front cabin. I do a lot of detail work in the car, and just need a flat surface to put stuff down. If you look at the console closely, you will see that there is no flat area at all to put anything. The main console storage area crowns in the middle, and is back too far to be useful as a surface. The navigation joystick occupies the right hand side of the console. The shift lever occupies the left hand side. The beverage holder at the front has a sloped cover. The drivers side beverage holder is typically open, because thats the only place you can put your fob/phone/etc. There are no pockets or storage holes in the side of the center console. The end result is that a lot of stuff ends up dropping down between the console and the seat.3) If something does drop down between the console and the seat, there is no convenient way to retrieve it. The only way is to get out of the car, move the seat all the way forward (very slowly because it is a power seat), then open the rear door, get on your knees and reach under the seat from behind. Because of the power seat mechanism, you cant reach under from the front. Try this outside in 100+ degree heat, and it gets very old very fast. Especially when what you dropped is your key fob.4) This leads to my main complaint: The railings under the seats have not been machined, and have very sharp edges. After suffering my third very serious gash on my hand trying to retrieve what fell between the seat and the console, I just lost it. I traded it in not three days later.5) There is no place to put your phone - or even a sunglasses compartment above the rear view mirror. The only place to put stuff is in the drivers beverage compartment. Its like they went out of their way to remove any convenient storage and/or work area.I know to many, these complaints will seem petty. I guess if you drive a luxury car you shouldnt be concerned with these types of issues. But, after a year of putting up with kicking the door open, dropping stuff between the seat and the console, and getting blood all over my shirt and pants, I just couldnt take it anymore.

In 2008, we purchased a new 2008 RX-350 from a Portland area Lexus. Prior to purchasing the vehicle we spent months researching the Lexus brand, reliability and customer satisfaction. We are over 3 hours away from the closest Lexus dealer. Having heard and read mostly good reviews, we opted to purchase the vehicle described. We have taken excellent care of the vehicle and all of our maintenance has been maintained current by our only local Lexus family Toyota dealership in our area. The vehicle has never been in an accident. Seven years later we have had several unexpected repairs required to keep the vehicle running. First was the NOC sensor (slightly under $1000). Second was the rack and pinion (slightly over $1000). And the latest was a transmission replacement. The vehicle is just outside the powertrain warranty. The total costs of these repairs has been over $7200. Even the local Toyota service representative said this should not happen with this car.I have contacted the Lexus goodwill assistance number and they agreed to pay for the parts for the latest repair. While that is good of them, it is my opinion that the loyalty of Lexus belongs to their company rather than their customers and they certainly choose not to stand behind their luxury product. It is disappointing Lexus does not show the same loyalty to its customers when excessive repairs are required to what should have been a more reliable vehicle. I would like others to be aware of the Lexus quality of service and loyalty and recommend that you buy a car from Honda/Acura whom we have had excellent service from and been shown truly good loyalty and certainly stand behind their product.

Lexus had huge issues with their dashboard, glove boxes and side arms in some models. My model was a LS460. The material used would literally melt, turn sticky and rub off in the sun or heat. They developed a program to fix their short-comings and I was told it would be fixed a couple yrs ago. I dropped off car, they said they would fix issue and did nothing. After several calls, with zero returns I went to dealer. Was told we will get you in and take care of it, nothing again. Went back and was told the offer had ended and I need to call corporate. Corporate said they would not fix and I could pay for it myself. So, in summary, Lexus dropped the ball for over a yr and half thru a pandemic then would not make it right with a customer that has had about 10 of their cars in family over the years. Lexus only cares about selling their cars and obviously not keeping customers happy or doing what is right after their production failure with this certain issue. My advice is look elsewhere for your expensive vehicle purchase!

Brand new car today (2019 ES 350 with luxury package). Beautiful ride and handling. Sound system is HORRIBLE. I dare you to try and get adequate sound from rear speakers! With the fader its all or nothing. If you toggle to get more volume from the rear, the front speakers cut out completely. The sound was just as good in cars I owned during the 70s. I bought the car in Brossard (South Shore, Montreal). First thing I noticed is that there were 188 kilometers on the new car (about 140 miles). Thats like driving half-way from Montreal to NYC! Then, I had trouble loading a CD to listen to the sound. Turns out there was already a CD in it... Rap Music, to boot! I can only imagine where this new car has been before I got in it. Dealer (Gabriel Lexus) didnt give a damn... I was told simply to enjoy the car... My first stop was the car wash, where I got the guys to clean the windshield of film and streaks. Previously, I owned 16 Nissans and Infinitis in a row (sixteen vastly better experiences!). I hope I feel better about LEXUS tomorrow, after a good night sleep.

I bought LEXUS LS 460 L 2011 in may 2011 new from Lexus dealer with trade my old RX hybrid 2008. My car break down within one year, Lexus took 18 days to fix it without charging any money from me and said it is under warranty. The same problem came last month including some issue in front end. I still have warranty, they keep my car for 2 weeks, then service advisor call me and told me that Lexus is not fixing the car because they said car has bed GAS, you speak Lexus and give me telephone number. I call Lexus, the lady who has my case said to me that because you using this car as a limousine that is why we decline your warranty. I told the lady that this car and also previous car I was using was limousine and dealer knows because they get me the limousine plate number. Then she said call your insurance. They will cover your car. I call insurance company, they said we only cover body damage, not mechanical problem, then I call Lexus lady again now she said we decline your warranty because you got bed gas, now you go to gas station and sue them, we are not fixing your car.You know why she said that, because they fixed my front end and change one of front air shock and Actuators absorb that is why she cannot denied anymore about warranty. Now I am in problem calling Lexus but not getting any response from them. 2007 Lexus RX 400h - So there is something wrong with the brake actuator in these models which will DEACTIVATE YOUR BRAKES AT ANYTIME SO BEWARE!!! I called Lexus in July 2016 to tell them that while driving on the freeway, my ABS VSC light went on, I heard a high pitched sound that went on continuously and I lost my brakes. I was with my 8 year old daughter. She was very frightened and thought we were gonna die. I called Lexus Jim Falk Beverly Hills service department and they said this was normal. They said to just turn off the engine and wait a few minutes because the ABS needs to reset. So after this incident, it happened to me 3 more times and I just did the normal procedure of turning the engine off and waiting 5 minutes. But just last week, I was driving my pregnant wife to the doctor and this thing happened again and we almost hit the car in front of us. So I brought it to Longo Lexus service department immediately and they told me that my brake actuator needed to be replaced and that would cost me $4,000 to fix!!! They also told me that this is a known issue with the Lexus RX 400h and that they had a campaign that replaced these for free in 2016 and this campaign had expired December 31, 2017. It is March 2018 already so obviously I cant avail of that free replacement. So I called Lexus corporate office and told them my story about losing my brakes, not knowing about the campaign, and Lexus telling me this was normal (They actually verified that phone call in their records). They said they would escalate this to the national manager which is the highest in Lexus. So now, they just got back to me saying that even with the record of that phone call to Lexus, there is NO PROOF that the car did lose its brakes because no one inspected it at that time it happened. Let me get this straight LEXUS, YOU WANT ME TO DRIVE A CAR WITH NO BRAKES TO A LEXUS DEALER WHICH IS 10 MILES AWAY??? All I could do at that time was call. And to tell me that this is a normal thing, I believed you, because YOU ARE LEXUS! So now you want me to spend $4,000 for your own mistake?? Gosh, I would never recommend a LEXUS because THEY DONT SEEM TO CARE ABOUT SAFETY AT ALL!

I bought my 2006 GS300 1/07 with 7,000 miles. I had all maintenance performed at the dealership since ownership. Absolutely nothing performed elsewhere, whether oil/filter, tires, brakes, etc. All periodic maintenance was religiously performed. My car would rough idle occasionally, and it began eating oil several years ago. Numerous oil consumption checks, and many, many trips to the dealership. My check engine vsc light came on 1/5/15, something that had occurred previously on multiple occasions, and I immediately took it to the dealership. Was told I NOW need the engine misfire repair, which to my understanding includes replacement of the pistons. Lexus Satisfaction has to get involved after the request for the repair from the dealership was denied by Lexus because the car is now 9 years old (which coincidentally just occurred). The engine misfire repair will be performed as long as the car is less than 9 years old. I then battled with Lexus Dissatisfaction and was ultimately informed they would not compromise on their decision. It is truly a very disappointing decision. Nothing more than typical corporate games. I will NEVER purchase another Lexus.

I took my car in for diagnosis, after hearing a low grinding sound. He a bearing in the pump was failing and the pump needed to replace at a cost between $2,500 and $3,000. To access that pump, the engine needs to be removed, that takes 16 hours! While youre having that work done, he told me to also have the spark plugs replaced. Get this, the average cost to replace them is $311 to $396. The parts cost is less than $20. The remainder of the cost is labor. I think the costs for doing minor repair jobs is ridiculous - whoever heard of removing the engine to replace the water pump (replacing the plugs at the same time, saves you money). Id like to meet the numskull responsible for this thoughtless design and tell him a thing or two. Do these two minor job.

I recently emailed Lexus Brand Experience about the horrible service I have received with my new Lexus ES350 FSport. This was on 12/29 and I have yet to hear back. Then after bringing my car home, noticing it has a very small chip on the gas cap & the salesperson telling us Oh well, you took it home, nothing we can do. Each time Ive taken my car in for service it has not gone smoothly. The 2nd time taking it in they rotated my tires & since then my car has not driven the same. Took it in for the 3rd time and when I bring this up, the service writer proceeds to tell me that they could balance them for $90 & had I brought it in immediately after that they would have fixed it. Im trading in my car and will never recommend Lexus to anyone!

I have bought my car LX 570 in 2010. Im a loyal Toyota customer. My car originated from Saudi Arabia and I live in Qatar. Several problems happened to the car. There was a gear problem, then the rear AC and then the front AC got damaged. All of this happened and I had to repair it under my cost. This is a top of the line car. International warranty should be honored no matter where I go. Saudi and Qatar are neighboring countries, so spec are similar.

I had a call from a Lexus case manager name Eric at extension ** about an issue not covered by Lexus, this guy brushed me in two minutes, and lied about a return call he never made to me on a Friday. Today is Tuesday Oct 17, 2017, if I did not answer his call, why did he waited till now tuesday to tell me my car is not covered, not to mention my car has been in the dealer for two weeks waiting on this case manager guy to make a decision. Very poor and professional performance for a luxury car company. Will keep posting reviews on other sites. Dealer service was 5 ⭐️ from my service advisor Jose to the service manager, will recommend.

I purchased my Lexus 2009 RX 350 USE from a Lexus Dealership with Mileage around 35,000/-. Three weeks back when my wife was Driving car to work in the Morning after 10 min of Drive VSC light came up, and after a mile or so Check Engine Light Came up. By the time she stopped the car to Safe place, Car interior area started smelling like burning rubber. She stopped the car and get it towed to nearest local mechanic place. I gave call to Nearest Lexus dealership and asked them about the Issue and if that would be covered by Lexus Warranty. To my total surprised, they declined covering under the warranty because Powertrain warranty expired on Bases of Time of First Sell (72 Months or 70000 Miles). They argued that even though car mileage is still under Warranty period, Since Warranty Expired Four months ago, they would not cover it. Dealership asked me to take this to Lexus Customer Care.I called Lexus customer care and explain them the potential safety concern about sudden water pump failure without any prior indication and asked them if they would cover due to the fact Mileage is still under the warranty limit and close proximity to warranty expiry time limit. I was asked to get vehicle to safe place and wait for Manager to get back to me within three days (By Friday, Incident happened on Tuesday). I waited for call from Lexus but no one returned call till Friday end of business day. I called back and asked to Speak to Manager over there. First of all when she (Vicky) came on call, she had no Idea what issue I was referring to, because she started talking about some Oil pipe failure etc. I had to repeat entire story again, which shows that they didnt even look at my case even though I was told that someone review it and get back to me.Talking to Manager (Vicky) I tried to explain since its part of powertrain and problem existed even Under the warranty period and I dont have direct control over its failure, its clearly indication of bad quality of engine and parts. The most important part is safety hazard of car catching fire due to overheating. Lexus Customer Service stick to the three months over the powertrain warranty and refuse to take any accountability. I was asked to tow the vehicle to nearest Lexus dealership which is 30 miles away from where car is stalled. I asked Lexus about some level of assurance on warranty coverage but they keep on saying We cannot give you assurance of any help at this point. They will talk to Lexus dealership and then only consider this for help. I called nearest Lexus Dealership and asked for the estimation of water pump replacement, they quote me $1200+. Considering towing expense (about $300), hefty dealership cost and absolutely no assurance from Lexus Customer Service, I decided to get water pump replaced at the Local mechanic place where car was pulled over for diagnostics. I paid complete expense out of pocket and filed reimbursement claim with all receipt and documentation. To my total surprise, they declined the claim based on the fact that it wasnt replaced at Lexus Dealership. I swallowed this poisons pill and decided to move on. After three days of driving around (all together less than 100 miles), check engine light came on with VSC light. Took it to same mechanic who replaced water pump and he said its nothing to do with water pump. Now engine is misfiring and heating up. Since it sounded like major problem, I called Lexus Customer service and ask for help in this. I was again asked for to take it to Dealership which I did. Primary diagnostic from Lexus dealership pointed to structural damage to Engine due to premature water pump failure and advise me to replace whole engine, which is huge expense. My bases for taking this to claim is : Water pump is part of Powertrain and has no influence by driving pattern. Failure of water pump at 61000 miles is very premature and indicate toward inherent problem with engine and related components. Safety Issue: There was no sign of water pump failure until last moment when it actually gave up all of sudden. There was very little time before Check Engine lights came on and further damage due to overheating. If it was ignored for couple of miles car would have caught into fire. Powertrain warranty is 70000 Miles or 72 Months, whereas cars mileage is 61000 and time since first usage is 75 months (just 3 months over the warranty). Considering close proximity to warranty expiration, Lexus should consider this for warranty extension. This Engine series is infamous for cooling system issues and several service bulletins have been issued regarding it. Several complaints have been filed about the similar problem, where water pump failure and subsequent engine damage.

Purchased a NEW GX460 from a local dealership. Purchased the vehicle based on the companys perceived quality and willingness to stand behind their product. After 2-3 months of purchasing the truck the leather seats were bulging and buckling significantly. Dealership acknowledged the problem and replaced the leather on the rear seats. One month later, the front seats are now worse than the back seats. Both the dealership and Lexus Company will not stand behind product. In fact, the dealership suggested that this is a common issue and sent me pictures of other new trucks with the same problem. Wish I would have known that before purchasing the $50K+ vehicle. This is the third and last Lexus that I will ever purchase or recommend.

At 80,000 miles my car just all of a sudden went into safety mode also known as limp mode. Three lights flashed on my dash and I could not go over 35 mph. My Lexus dealer is 3 hours away. I called them they told me to drive to my local Toyota dealer which I did. They told me that my secondary fuel was broken and the cost was $2300. They see this all the time I was told. The Tundra truck has the same issue and Toyota extended the warranty from 50,000 miles to 150,000 miles. Lexus has not extended their warranty. (I was told because it was a LUXURY vehicle and the owners normally dont keep the cars long unlike Tundra owners whom keep the vehicle for a long time.) I submitted a claim to Lexus and I was called and told my claim was rejected. I was told they are still using these same engines in both models as of today! When I pulled out of my neighborhood going into the median cutting thru 55 mile an hour traffic, I expected my vehicle to have the pick up it normally had. When I went to pull it, I had NO power. I could have been T-boned very easy and not here to tell why I had no pick up. Lucky for me the traffic was very thin that day. I feel this issue is a MAJOR safety issue and needs to be addressed. This is my first and last LEXUS vehicle. I will never buy another!!!

I own a RX 330 which I take pride in servicing and has always relied on Lexus to do all my services even though they are twice as expensive. December 2013, I spent over $3000.00 in service charge of which included four new tires. I had a flat on the road that was not repairable. I called Lexus dealership in east Hartford, Connecticut. I was told that the new tires I had bought has no warranty. I asked why wasnt I told that at the time of purchase so I could at least make an informed decision to purchase or not. I got the runaround from customer service after holding on the phone for at least twenty five minutes. I was desperate so I asked about giving me a discount on another tire. They denied me that also. I ended up buying another tire from another vender in desperation. I pursued the matter and filed a complaint with Lexus headquarters who did not help the situation any but told me they are not in the tire business and there is nothing they can do for me. Mind you, this is only less than three months after purchasing four new tires. My plan was to purchase my next car from Lexus but with this experience, Infiniti or Acura is looking like a better choice. They so refuse to take responsibility for numerous customer complaints about headlights fogging up.

My conclusion in short: When buying new, do not intend to keep it after war
My conclusion in short: When buying new, do not intend to keep it after warranty expiration. And never buy used. Here is a long explanation. Very expensive parts. Price fells fast. Reason - expensive parts and low demand as many know these are expensive to maintain. 7 small plastic clips fell off from bottom plastic panels. Cost for one clip $10 bucks. Should cost several cents but no more than $1. They are Lexus unique size. Lucky I found aftermarket $1.50 for 10 abroad. Next, Lexus USA does not stand behind its cars. Exhaust rusted out and made the hole right at the place where it makes a turn at 65k miles (?) one week after extended warranty. At this place band was not an option. Cost to replace $2300, $1800 for part itself. Why? Because exhaust and converters are one complete unit. Called LEXUS USA. Response: Our decision is not to cover even though only one week past warranty. Also our records indicate that you later started to replace oil at other places. What oil has to do with bad exhaust? It is our decision. I had many cars over the years including Toyotas and replaced exhaust on many of them. Some at 150k miles and above. Parts were expensive, but not that expensive. In another instance headlight was damaged. Part cost $2000. It has 2 motors in it to adjust in horizontal and vertical plane, but still it is ridiculous price. I am technical and very handy. Always serviced cars myself. My conclusion is that they are reliable, but complicated cars. Chances to fail are greater in this setup. Therefore in my opinion for long term ownership quality and performance is not enough anymore to justify cost of long ownership or Lexus policies. Lease - maybe, but then return and lets Lexus eat them all.

In Honolulu Hawaii - Driving one weekend, my Lexus RC350 just dies on the street. Nothing works and finally I give up and tow my car to Lexus. On Monday I call Lexus and talk to the service manager Bryan. He informs me that when the car got towed they couldnt start but as of this morning, car starts fine and they cant identify what the problem was. He informs me that the technician will run tests to find out what happened and get back to me. I wait a week and nobody calls me. I call Lexus back and was told Bryan was out for lunch and that he will call me back. No call back that day. Meanwhile, I am not even offered a loaner and taking Taxi to and from work on my own expense. I call back Lexus and ask for loaner and told theres none available. I end up complaining and miraculously they get a test model that I can use. Basic IS model which is not the same level as what Im paying for but I didnt complain as I thought it was for a short time. However, if theres a test model car they can offer as a loaner, shouldnt I have been offered this from Day 1 instead of after few calls? Anyway, I get my loaner and feel better that at least now I have a way of transportation. Another Week goes by while I wait patiently and dont hear back so AGAIN call Lexus. At this point Im told that they still cant identify the problem and running more tests. I told the manager that I understand the situation but would appreciate some type of communication back as they make progress. Of course on phone Im given the yes absolutely. I had a business trip so end up not being bothered for 10 days and get back to Hawaii. Meanwhile I had my phone but never did get a call back. Another several days go by without a call which now my car has been in the shop for a month. Cant get in touch with Bryan and the receptionist tells me she will take message so I explain to her the situation and tell her that I just need someone to keep me updated. Nobody calls me back. By now, its nearly 6 weeks and I am just astonished at the bad customer service. I end up calling Lexus and explaining the entire situation to the receptionist and asking for the GM. I didnt get a call back from GM but the Asst GM calls me and finally some light at the end of the tunnel. He tells me that he wants to help and was apologetic. He tells me that technician needs to run more tests. I end up telling him that I want to get out of the lease so I can be done with and move on. Once I mention terminating my lease, GM ends up calling me few days later and tells me that I only have several months left so he wont release me from my lease. He offers me one month lease waiver as compensation. Finally after 2 months, I get a callback and told my car is fixed. I go to Lexus excited to finally put this long 2 month battle to an end and the cashier tells me I owe almost $900. I tell him that its covered in the lease/warranty and theres no way Im paying for it. With attitude, he tells me well you can talk to the service manager. Bryan who never returned my calls comes and tells me that its their mistake. At this point, I am just disgusted with their communication process and tell him to ask the GM to call me back. No return call for several days so I call back and speak to another manager and he tells me that the GM had family emergency and is not in the office. Finally after another several days, GM calls me back. I explain the situation again with being told to pay and the cashier attitude and now demanded that I dont pay for 2 months which he tells me he cant do because I was given a loaner. Im only asking for 2 months to be waived as I didnt get the car Im paying for and to be compensated for all the time I wasted plus the frustration I had to put up with. I have 2 Lexus at the moment and there will be no more Lexus for me the way its going.

My Lexus LX SUV is pearl white and despite it being over ten years old I get compliments on a regular basis. It still drives wonderfully and I havent had any issues with it either. The leather interior, heated seats, and built in GPS makes ride very comfortable. It also offers plenty of space for passengers to enjoy their ride. There is enough space for 5 to have plenty of room, including plenty of leg space for backseat passengers as well, which makes the LX perfect for long distance trips.

I bought a Lexus IS 250 then being Active Duty Military I got notice I had to deploy just a couple short months after I bought it. My manufacturer’s warranty expired while I was Deployed. There was a bulletin put out about a known problem to fix under warranty vehicles for condensation in the driver’s side headlight. I get back and come up due for an annual state inspection and the car fails due to the condensation. Lexus refuses to Good Will fix the headlight even though the warranty expired during my deployment.I have low mileage only 37,000 miles on the car and they still wouldn’t consider that. I pleaded that they be sensitive to the fact I can control if I’m deployed and the warranty expired while I was gone. Now I’m expected to pay full price over 2 grand for a known condensation issue with a headlight. I expected better from this company. They care nothing for Military. Most businesses are far more accommodating. I’ll gladly trade in my Lexus at Honda.

This model is well known for his faulty ABS actuator and Lexus would not want to replace it saying that you are out of the warranty time frame of 5 months (Despite the very low mileage that you have), when they know for sure the car was made with a faulty part (which is why they extended the warranty on it in the first place). That is very low coming from Lexus. They are supposed to be one of the world class customer service especially considering the price of their product. Like I said, Ive learned my lesson. Of 4 Lexus autos Ive owned this is my first nightmare. Ive talked with dealership in Torrance, CA for over 5 hours and 9 people later; Lexus just no longer cares about their customers. They have lost being #1 in true service. We ordered this nice new RX 350 (build online) and after 60 days kept asking the dealer if he could locate sooner than a 6 month wait. Finally our salesman at Henessey reached out and said he had one but no factory tow package (jet skis). He said one could be added by them after the purchase. Many, many, many conversations later - IT CANNOT be added! Lexus changed the wiring harness in the 2016 RX 350. My dealer should have known this!!! We are really pissed off in the dealership as well as Torrance but apologize and neither will work a trade since we have titled it, without us coming $4500 out of pocket!! This will be the last Lexus for me, we have learned (burned) our lesson. People are now whispering aftermarket but Lexus has the wiring fix, just wont step up and assign it a part number and make it available for consumers to purchase. Instead anyone wanting their tow package in their desired color and interior trim package better be prepared to wait because LEXUS NO LONGER CARES!! The worse 50K purchase Ive ever made!
