2025 Lexus LS

Find big savings on Lexus Automobile(s) at Auto Helpers. Low Prices.

The 2025 Lexus LS continues as the brand’s flagship luxury sedan, delivering refined craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology, and smooth performance. It remains a direct competitor to vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, and Audi A8, but stands out with Lexus’s signature focus on quietness, reliability, and understated elegance.

Design and Exterior
The 2025 LS retains its sleek, coupe-like silhouette with a long wheelbase and flowing roofline. The signature spindle grille is more refined, with intricate mesh detailing and chrome or blacked-out accents depending on trim. Slim LED headlamps with Lexus’s blade-style daytime running lights provide a futuristic look, while sculpted body lines add to the sedan’s commanding presence. Alloy wheel designs range from 19 to 21 inches, emphasizing its luxury stance.

Interior and Comfort
Inside, the LS offers one of the most refined cabins in the luxury sedan market. Materials include handcrafted wood, aluminum, and leather upholstery with contrast stitching. Lexus also continues to use unique Japanese-inspired details such as Kiriko glass trim and hand-folded pleated door panels on higher trims. Seating is available with 28-way power adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Rear passengers enjoy an equally indulgent experience, with available executive-class seating, reclining chairs, and extended legroom. Noise cancellation and acoustic glass ensure a whisper-quiet ride.

Technology and Features
The 2025 LS is equipped with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen running Lexus’s latest infotainment interface, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cloud-based navigation, and over-the-air updates. A fully digital driver display and available head-up display provide essential information seamlessly. Audiophiles will appreciate the optional Mark Levinson 3D Surround Sound system with immersive clarity. Rear-seat entertainment and ambient lighting systems enhance comfort further.

Performance
The LS offers two powertrain options. The LS 500 uses a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 producing around 416 horsepower, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear- or all-wheel drive. It delivers smooth acceleration and a quiet, refined ride. The LS 500h hybrid pairs a V6 with electric motors for a combined output of about 354 horsepower, focusing on efficiency while maintaining luxury performance. Adaptive air suspension and active damping provide exceptional ride comfort, with drive modes to adjust responsiveness.

Safety and Driver Assistance
The 2025 LS comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane centering, blind-spot monitoring, and pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection. Advanced features like automated parking assist and a 360-degree camera system are also available.

Trims and Pricing
The lineup includes the LS 500 and LS 500h Hybrid, both offered in various trims with extensive personalization options. Pricing is expected to start around $80,000 and climb well into six figures when equipped with executive seating, premium packages, or bespoke interior finishes.

Overall
The 2025 Lexus LS blends elegance, cutting-edge technology, and serene driving comfort, making it a strong alternative to its European rivals. Its focus on craftsmanship, reliability, and hybrid efficiency ensures it remains a flagship sedan that appeals to buyers who want luxury without sacrificing dependability.

I am the not so proud owner of a 2009 Lexus IS250. My question is why can NO ONE work on this Navigation System but Lexus? Monopoly much? My dash board and all of the material on the doors and everywhere isnt cracking, I can rub it off with one finger. Its melting. You cant clean it because anything you use just sticks to it and it looks horrible. To go along with this my water pump cracked overheated my car and destroyed my electrical system to include the alternator, battery, navigation system, and all of this has been replaced but my navigation system because Im now flat broke and no one seems to be able to figure out how to fix it other than with another $1500 Computer from Lexus because that is the only place you can buy them. And if you do find one aftermarket, no one will touch it. My heat is stuck on and has been since winter. Its so stupid Im ready to drive this car off a cliff! Recall the water heater!

I wanted a car with all leather seats and the Lexus salesperson and the Lexus V Spec sheet and the Lexus window sticker all said that it had leather seats. This was in error as the seats are trimmed leather with leather only on a smaller part of the seats. I didnt notice this until 2 days later and I immediately contacted the dealer. They didnt offer a solution and so I went to Lexus USA. The Window Sticker/Monroney sticker is a Federally mandated contract for what is on the car, therefore the data was wrong on this and after 3 weeks, after they tried to tell me it was all leather only to succumb later that it isnt, told me that they will not buy back the car and closed the case. This is my first experience with Lexus and I am very disappointed in them. They know that they made an error on my window sticker and sold me something other than what they told me I was getting so I am very disappointed in the lack of integrity with this company.

A little over a year ago we purchased a 1995 Lexus RX330. We purchased the vehicle as our first luxury vehicle with the hopes that the money would be well spent on luxury and quality of the vehicle. But after having the vehicle for almost 1 year we noticed that the dash started cracking along the front edge and then after picking my wife up from work one day a large chunk of the dash right above the radio broke off and fell to the floor. We immediately called Lexus and asked about having the dash repaired they informed us that there was a recall on the dash and to call Lexus about having the dash repaired. We called Lexus and notified them of the cracked Dash and they informed us that there is indeed a recall for the cracked Dash but they told us the date for the recall expired the day before we called. But that they would look into it and see if there was something they could do.We took the time to take the vehicle to the local Lexus dealer to have pictures taken. Have it inspected and sent to Lexus so that they can review it only for them to call us and tell us they were denying the repairs on the vehicle. So now we are stuck with a vehicle in which the resale value has plummeted due to the crack Dash. Im very disappointed with Lexus that they do not stand behind their vehicle or even offered to pay a portion of the dash to be repaired. If this is how Lexus treats their customers I no longer want this vehicle and will be trading it in as soon as possible. My wife and I were also considering buying another new Lexus because we did like the vehicle until we see that Lexus does not stand behind their vehicle quality at all!!!

A few days after purchasing my 2018 ES 350 Lexus I noticed a fumey smell in the car after driving it for a few miles. The car was a certified used car so I thought maybe there were lingering scent from the previous owner, so I gave the interior of the car a thorough cleaning, but I couldnt get rid of the scent. I used all different types of air freshener but the fumes scent kept coming back, especially when I was driving on the highway. What really scared me was when I was transporting my daughter and she stated that, Mom the smell inside your car makes me feel nauseated. I called the car dealership Lexus of Palm Beach immediately, I stated the problem and was told to bring the car in.To my surprise Lexus has been aware of the problem since 2006. I was given a HVAC odor maintenance bulletin dated February 6th 2020, which stated that some 2006 to 2020 model year Lexus vehicles may exhibit odors that naturally occur from the HVAC system and/or related environmental factors. Although there is no way to eliminate these orders, follow the general procedure in this bulletin to minimize the order experience. I was told to purchase a charcoal AC filter with an AC refresher for $265 plus tax that may or may not minimize the order experienced. The most shameful part of this experience with Lexus was that they were trying to convince me that other motor vehicle manufacturers had the same problem, The problem I see here is Lexus chose not to fix this problem. They have been aware of this problem since 2006 and they continue to manufacture vehicles with the same odor problem as of 2020. I have driven other cars that were not fume coffins, like this ES 350. Other automotive vehicle manufacturers choose to fix this problem. I bought this car because it was a Lexus and the name Lexus was associated with prestige and luxury. I now have a car, I still owe thousands of dollars that I cannot transport my children in. I have to drive the car because its my only means of transportation but I feel unsafe in it every day I drive it.I am so tired of corporations and people who work for these corporations that dont care about their customers and their safety. I bought a Lexus, I expected the best in luxury, before buying this car I drove a Kia. It did not have an odor issue so Kia found a way to fix the problem, why Lexus refuses to fix this fume odor issues. Shame on you Lexus Manufacturer.

The touch screen on my 2008 IS 250 stopped working. The dealer wanted to charge $3200 for the repair and we were tipped off that this is actually a very common problem with Lexus. I called the corporate office and they would only cover 50% of the cost even though the paperwork literally says malfunction. Since it is out of warranty and there isnt a recall on the navigation system, I was basically told oh well. I have a problem with paying for something that wasnt just normal wear on a vehicle that has had so many recalls already.

I recently bought a 2014 Lexus LS 460. Whenever it rains or the car is washed and I open the trunk, water drips out of the side of the trunk, and drips water into the trunk compartment. I took the car into to the Lexus dealership and they said it is a design flaw and cannot be fixed. Besides getting the inside of the trunk and contents wet, long term I expect it will cause premature rust and increase the potential for my rear lights to malfunction. Any experience with resolving this issue will be appreciated.

I just leased my sixth Lexus and I regret it! I dont care how great it drives because the music sound system is the WORSE. The rear speaker has NO SOUND coming from it at all. When you drive the only speaker that sound comes from is the front speaker. God forbid you increase the volume, the sound blasts at you so loud that it is torture to drive in the car. There is nothing Lexus service can do. Its their new sound system. It is torture! Not only that, my business only uses Blackberry phones and the new 2019 Lexus only works with iPhones. My last 2016 Lexus allowed text message to appear on the screen. Now the new 2019 Lexus models. So it is MANDATORY that you have an iPhone if you want to drive the luxurious 2019 Lexus without using your stereo system.

I bought my Lexus at Butler South Atlanta. On the very first day, July 3rd 2017, that I received my new Lexus, there a major problem by the time it was driven 152 miles (very first day of having my car). The car went into limp mode, not being able to exceed 25MPH. This was alarming to me since this was suppose to be a new car. I was shocked to know a check engine light came on and the car would not go past 25 MPH. When it was taken into the dealership, the mechanic cleared the codes and said it was suppose to be fine. A few days later, I noticed a very loud knocking sound (Clack, Clack, Clack) coming from the engine. It sounded terrible, much like an old truck that has several hundred thousand miles on it. The sound even began growing in intensity. When I took it to the dealership (2nd visit in less than 15 days), I was told by the service advisor that this was normal. I was shocked to hear this diagnostic. I left but each day the sound kept growing louder. Eventually, I took it back. 2 weeks later (3rd visit in about 30 days), this time I requested that someone else looked at the car so a supervisor came out. He immediately said that the car needed to be taken in. I was very frustrated since I had not been able to enjoy my new car which is suppose to be a reliable brand. At the dealership, the engine of the car was stripped to get to the problem. After 9 days of having my car at Lexus, I was told that the work was completed. I was informed that there was damage to the cylinders and a block assembly was replaced. The cost of this repair was more than $10,000. Here was a new car with less than 700 miles with damage to it costing more than $10,000. This repair, however, was covered under the existing warranty. When I contacted Lexus customer satisfaction about the issue, I was told that there was nothing they could do since they already honored the warranty by repairing the car. The case manager, Amie, was hostile to me, and further offered no solution or attempt to please a dissatisfied customer. I requested to speak to her supervisor who called me two days later and demonstrated a poor ability to listen, always demanding that he be listened to. I am shocked that Lexus employs people for customer satisfaction who treat customers in such a pejorative manner. These people are giving Lexus and Peggy Turner a poor brand image. The supervisor, Mike, told me all they could do is offer me a two-time credit for services. Really? A new car with problems from the very first day of ownership and which has caused me much distress and frustration. From the moment I saw the $10,000 cost of repair for this new car, I was immediately troubled and wanted a mutually agreeable solution. To date, Lexus has refused to offer me a reasonable solution for a Lemon car that I bought. On July 3 when I got my car, I was planning an out of town trip with my family for July 4th but the trip was cancelled because of problem with the lemon RX350. This experience especially having to deal with a non-customer satisfaction office, has left me with nothing but a nightmare and a car that I dont know what is the next problem that will occur. Ill post pics of the car and the $10,000 plus bill to social media to sensitize people so they can make a determination whether they really want to purchase a car from a brand that is insensitive to customer needs. PS. Two weeks ago I sent an email to the GM at the dealership from where I bought the Lexus and he refused to display the common courtesy of giving me a response.

I bought a Lexus GS 350, new in 2008. I previously owned (2) Lexus GS 300 and had not major problems with either. I bought the 2008 because I knew I was retiring, would be traveling (out of town parents/relatives) and there were such great reviews as it is now about the car: reliability, safety, craftsmanship. I maintained my car well, especially the oil changes, every 4,000 to 5000 miles. I had an oil change in Feb 2014, 86290 miles. On April 7, 2014, Low Engine Oil Level light came on (89676 miles), a total of 3,386 miles. I was told that the car was getting older and to check it and add oil if needed. May 21, 2014 the light came on again (92,847 miles) a total of 3,171 miles. And the list goes on! Of course the consumption tests says within consumption levels. I now have 121,817 miles on the car as of today. Im adding a quart of oil about every 2 weeks. I had the oil changed today 11/3/15 (**), and they wrote on the ticket oil level low prior to service. Lets see how long it will be before the light comes on again!Im sure Lexus knows theres a problem, no car just burns oil for no reason. I wonder are they telling those buying their cars that theres a Consumption problem after so many miles??? Probably not!! I have two friends, one with a GS 300 and the other a RX 300 that are having the same problem. I have a 1989 Mercury Marquis, within excess of 225000 miles, and Ive never had to add oil between oil changes. Nor has my husband who has a 2006 Ford Expedition with 148000 miles!! Something needs to be done and Lexus should take responsibility for this problem. Lets try to get it out to as many people as possible. If someone has a lawsuit in progress contact me, **. Id like to join the suit!!! Im 68 years old and shouldnt have to purchase another car; it wouldnt be a Lexus if I did!!!

I have a 2005 RX330 with 87640 miles on it. I have taken it to Lexus for almost everything because I wanted it to last a while. I went to get it inspected yesterday and was told that it failed inspection because I have to replace the PS rack and hose that are leaking - estimated at 1750 +350. So far this year I have paid almost $4,000 for repairs including new tires, new struts and tire alignment (twice - first time alignment did not work). When I looked this up and read some of the reviews, it appears I have company for this issue and others like the dashboard cracking, headlights, etc. I dont know what to do now - fix it and hope the problems stop or cut my losses and trade it in. In any case, I think that Lexus should pay attention to this and cover at least part of the cost as this is not due to wear and tear. I had a Mercedes with almost 350,000 miles on it and did not have all of these problems.

My wife purchased her second new Lexus SUV in 2013 and was a diehard Lexus repeat customer. Her new Lexus RX450H is an expensive luxury class vehicle, and she justifiably had expectations that it would be a safe, reliable, and comfortable vehicle. It turned out that it is none of the above, and furthermore the Lexus people not only don’t stand behind their product, but knowingly deceive their customers regarding the quality of their products at the time of purchase. This vehicle and many other Lexus models have a faulty evaporator component in the air conditioning system which drains condensation into the cabin causing mildew and bacteria to develop and grow. We became aware of this after the terrible smell inside the vehicle became noxious. The Henderson, Nevada dealership where we purchased changed the filters at our cost and the problem persisted.Eventually, we learned that Lexus was aware of the vehicle’s defect when they sold us the car. Now, there are class action suits against Lexus for this specific defect, and the corporate office’s refusal to remedy the defect. While the corporate office acknowledges the defect and has issued several Technical Service Bulletins, or TSBs, which gave guidance to the dealerships and suggested specific language to placate the customers concerns, no recall has been made and Lexus admits they do not have a plan to fix the defect. After numerous attempts to resolve the issue on our part we have not received satisfaction in resolution of this defect. The corporate office claims resolution lies with the dealership, and vice versa. What is dispositive is that Lexus products are not the reliable vehicle they once had a reputation as, and after sale customer service is deplorable. So, look a little further if you are considering the purchase of a Lexus in the luxury vehicle market.

Because I could not afford a new or near new RX400H, I was treated as if I was a low life and the pretty words from an executive at Lexus headquarters who claimed to represent Mark Templin, the VP of Lexus. I have not even made my first payment on the vehicle I purchased and Lexus wants $2,400 for defective headlight switch and both left and right rear wheel bearings. I have had vehicles well over 200K miles that were SUVs and used off road; this vehicle I purchased never was and these parts have failed. I suggest you never contact Lexus.com because they will never assist you. This was my first and last Lexus product. I was treated as an uneducated fool who is wasting this executives time. My 2006 IS 250s dashboard and door panels seem to be melting - they began to shed a couple of years ago and now look awful. Also, the check engine and Check VSC light are on. I took it to Lexus of North Miami where they changed a sensor for $ 500 - that did not fix the problem. Brought it back thinking there was a warranty in their work, and they told me I needed a whole new Catalyst System, a $ 2,000.00 job. Took it down to a friends shop and he told me that they should have known that was the problem to begin with. First degree fraud is what I call that. Cant trust these Lexus dealers. I purchased a 2007 IS250 new...I recently sold it seven years new with only 90,000 miles on it. I was very faithful in the maintenance of my car. I received a notice from Lexus saying if my cars idol changed or seemed different, to bring it in and they would check to see if car stored any codes and if it had they would fix it. Although they never did say what may be causing the misfiring!? My car never stored any codes although it did at times feel as though it was going to die, and after speaking to others about situation, I found out that they too had a Lexus with same issue that never stored any codes. The two people that I know personally and on a regular basis have had their pistons replaced by Lexus at no charge and this is the same thing that was wrong with my car. I did not wait to see when Lexus headquarters would ok my local Lexus dealership to repair pistons in my car. I got rid of car that I should have owned for another seven years and another 90,000 miles!! It is unfortunate that Lexus is sweeping under the rug that these cars have piston issues and that the piston issue can create other issues with the cars. I can write forever about all the other issues that it caused me and two other people I know. If I ever find that there is a class action suit I will be including myself in that suit. I now have a new car and a new payment. My Lexus was paid off when I bought it new. And, of course I shouldnt have a new car or a new payment as again I shouldve owned my Lexus for seven more years and 90,000 more miles!! Firstly, the agent suggested that he had never heard of such an issue (odd since he has so many 2009 Lexus models on his lot!). Not only was my rusting concern misdirected to an alternative department, my request for vehicle repair suggested I would have to wait in the dealership for hours rather than shuttled home to work and return to pick my car up (because I was out of shuttle territory)! This dealership is the closest one to me in Whitby. This experience and the lack of genuine service from the Lexus Dealership confirms, I love the car but will never buy or promote the brand based on my poor experience. Unfortunately I have found my new 2016 IS 300 AWD stalls or feels like fuel starvation when I sometimes go to make a turn either right or left at low speeds or intersections. It becomes very concerning when you are turning into traffic or across traffic and it feels like you will not make it across the intersections. The yellow flashing engine light comes on but I have notified the dealership 3 times (at Service Intervals) and no fault can be found. Has anyone else experienced similar challenges with their Lexus IS 300 AWD too?

Looks like this services is completely broken. Sadly enough this feature was one of major reasons why I decide to buy this specific car (as opposed to 3 other choices). I leased NX 200t 2 weeks ago. Since then I must have spent 3-4 hours on the phone with Lexus support. Still no resolution. I received no call backs nor a response of any kind. While on call I felt I was simply being placated by Lexus reps. Apparently I am not the only one who experience this issue. This is a systematic problem which impacts many new owners of Lexus who are trying to use their Enform services. I dont know about others but Lexus is going have to work very hard to convince to buy another car from them.

I have been driving Lexus RX series since 2004 and Germain Lexus of Dublin Ohio is my dealer that I dealt with all those years. Just recently, I returned my leased 2017 RX350 and purchased 2020 RX350L. The deal was to forgive me for all remaining payments on my lease and to forgive me for the excessive mileage. Everything was verbally and was not in writing. Once I got my new 2020 RX350L, few weeks later I received an invoice from Lexus Financial Services to pay for excessive mileage. I called Lexus Financial Services and said the deal was to forgive me, they said, You have to contact Germain dealership and remind them to pay us the bill, I did and the sales manager I dealt with said that the deal was I have to pay for excessive mileage. I am 100% positive that he is not correct but unfortunately, there is nothing in writing to proof my case. I wrote a complaint on Germain’s website but no one contacted me, I also left a voicemail for the General Manager but he didnt return my call.My advice is to get every promise in writing before you sign anything.

In February of 2013 I leased a 2013 RX350 from Lexus in Peoria, IL. I kept smelling an odor coming from the vents and took it back to the dealership to fix the problem. They sprayed disinfectant in the vents and brought it back. That was in August of 2013, I could still smell it so they picked up the car again, sprayed again and changed the cabin filter. Still the smell was there! I have called the corporate office and they wont do anything more about it. In September I had to go to doctors office, received 3 shots and my doctor sent me to emergency room, got more shots and they did some blood test. They think I had an allergic reaction, we think because of the mildew. When I told corporate about this they said it was because of my driving habits,???? I have tried everything I know to do. In February 2014 I had ANOTHER allergic reaction, was sent to doctors office and had to get a shot! Was in bed for the whole weekend again. I am only leasing this vehicle and they wont fix it!!

Its been going on for years now. They call it a reconditioning because the word RECALL I guess is a little taboo. My interior has melted! If you catch it with your fingernail, a chunk of my dash is under your nail. My upper dash, which meets my windshield, looks wet. I can literally sink my fingertips into the dash. So, I take it in for this reconditioning and they are very thorough while taking pictures and writing notes. I take it back to get all the panels installed and they didnt even give me the parts that are affected the most. No dash, which is extremely noticeable, or door panels and arm rests where you actually come in contact every time you drive the car. It is so sticky, my interior is melting and Lexus wont replace the defected parts. I have seen cars that are 50+years old and do not have these issues. There has to be more Lexus owners who are experiencing this same sort of mistreatment. I am willing to take this as far as making it a legal matter and posting it on every social outlet that will let me do so. Shame on you Lexus. Some of these models went for over $70,000 new, and your interior didnt last 4 years.

I was only there for the sports coupe but there were plenty of other models available - sedans, SUVs in several price ranges as well as a full range of colors. I bought the SC430 which, among other things, is a hardtop convertible. It was loaded accessory-wise. The saddle leather seats quite plush and the dash appointments extremely handsome. All in all very sporty, yet very rich! However, this was not a vehicle for accommodating a lot of passengers being a sports coupe. And a convertible as well. Bucket front seats did allow easy access to the back seats but the back seat itself was not a deep seat and not really comfortable for a person of any size. Also, upgrading and personalization options were not really a consideration as the car came standard with virtually every option you could think of. Even the alloy wheels came with 2 different options easily changed by the owner, you could have a certain look one day and a different one the next.

I had an engine replacement done, due to the oil sludge issue. Corporate Lexus paid for 75% of the repair, with a used engine at a Lexus Dealer. Upon return of the vehicle, I was having major steering issues. I took the car to my non-Lexus mechanic. The rack was loose, and moving all over the place. He attempted to tighten and ended up replacing, but advised to take the car back to dealer as; 1) he felt the rack replacement was due to faulty work and; 2) there was no rubber bushing in the front of the vehicle. I took the car to a more local Lexus dealership, prior to even discussing the situation with me, they called corporate and left a message. They felt the car was dangerous, and there was a bracket missing from the engine department, and the engine was moving. The only response from corporate is that, this is a labor issue. I took the car back to the original dealership, and was told nothing was wrong with the car, other than the wrong rack. 1 person told me the rack was too long. Another person at same dealership said the rack was too short, but perfectly safe! The engine moving was just 1 of those things that happen, changing or (evidently checking) the mounts are not part of an engine replacement job, but they would call the dealership, to inquire what was meant by the missing bracket. Obviously, the call was never made. Now, I am having issues getting the car fixed, because honest people wont touch the car, because they do not feel that I should be paying for repairs. Now what?

I will never buy another Lexus or Toyota and I recommend anybody thinking about buying a Lexus to buy something else. Lexus does not stand behind their product or their relentless pursuit of perfection. Be aware, I was told by Lexus that once the warranty is up they will not cover a manufacturers defect. No matter how bad the defect as long as it not a safety issue, no matter how many hundreds of thousand of their cars have the exact same defect, no matter how well you have maintained your car.During a recent oil change at the Lexus dealership I was told my 2006 Lexus IS 350 is leaking oil from the front engine cover and Lexus will charge $3,000 to repair the leak. My car only has 80,000 miles and have only had the oil changed by the dealer every 5000 miles. If you Google Lexus leaks oil from front engine cover you will see this is a widespread problem with various Lexus models. I contacted Lexus USA to request they cover the cost of the repair and was told today by their representative Eric that Lexus would only cover $1,000 of the $3,000 repair. This is after Lexus has had about 10 recalls for safety related issues, so my car has practically lived at the dealership. In addition like many other people in the warm sunny states, the dashboard and door sills became sticky and began deteriorating when the car was only a few years old, and it took Lexus about 7 years to finally replace the dashboard and door sills after they had a class action lawsuit brought against them, and you had to ask Lexus about to get them replaced since it was not technically a recall.

Be careful with this problem, I had it happen to me and the dealer said it will likely be a 2500 dollar repair. I went on the net and researched the problem and found it required a software update so I thought 2500 is a bit much so from my computer experiences. I thought a reboot might work so I disconnected the battery cable and left it off for about 10 minutes while I cleaned the cables and posts. Once reconnected, rebooting started and problem fixed proving to me once again that all car dealers are crooks and now Lexus is at the top of all the crooks. It took me about 15 minutes total to do this repair saving me 2500 dollars which equates to 10 thousand dollars an hour at the dealership. They should be arrested for fraud.

I like the different styles and colors of Lexus, but I prefer BMWs, very unique. Many brands copy them. I hope that they, Lexus, improve on their designs. But I like how they last pretty long. My only complaint is that it runs out of battery fast. Sometimes my car dies out, but it may be due to old car issues. Also, theres not many upgrade options with Lexus. Youd have to go to other shops because Lexus is way too overpriced. Not a big fan, sorry Lexus. I also wish I could fit more but more means more money :( I hope they can fix this. I hope that they dont change anything like metals, engine, etc. Like downgrading.

Tax tags and out the door at $45,000. I love it though. Everything in the dash is touch or talk controlled. There were a lot of expensive packages I could have added to my car such as rims, speakers, stereo, leather, etc. but I kept it modest because I wanted to get out under $50,000. The back can fit 3 people, the front can fit 2, so five people total. Even 3 adults can fit comfortably across the back seat and probably can fit 2 car seats.

This is my 2nd Lexus: my first one, ES 330 was a great car from mechanical to cosmetics! This 2nd, ES 350 is the poorest quality you can get! I was told by a service manager in N Miami, that the reason the interior materials (dash board, seats cover, cosmetically wood design, that all are falling apart), are made to disintegrate after a while! No kidding!!!? They actually do, I cannot even clean the interior because the board is jelly like, the seats covers are all broken after 2-3 years and the color will come off when you clean them, the wood design is flying up peeling as well everywhere, at 72 000 miles I had to replace the front direction and before, the steering wheel fell! And you would believe that for over $42000, you will buy a nice quality car! No, not anymore! I was back in forth with Lexus via emails, I went to the dealer to show what is happening to the car, they said that I have to pay if I don’t like the way it looks! I called to have at least the dash board replace since is melting, but two customer service from Lexus Corporate said that the offer expired on March 31 this year and they won’t extend it, although they never told me about it when I went to the dealer or on our exchanged emails! Think twice if you planning to get a Lexus at this time: it is not the same quality or customer service as they started! A shame!

Lexus IS250 - I bought my car in 2011. Since then, there have been multiple issues for which Ive needed to take the car in for repair: wobbling wheels, air leak due to poor tire-rim adhesion, several times in to have the battery replaced then finally learning I need a new alternator. The issues with Lexus are: lack of doing a proper inspection at time of sale, multiple problems with car, lack of doing a proper diagnosis/repair job, profound staff turnover, subsequently leading to my not knowing anyone at the dealership anymore. Whenever I call the service department to speak to someone, either there is no answer at all or I have to leave a message and then call back because no one has returned my call. I want to sell my car asap, but no one will buy it because of its enormous repair history. I complained to Lexus of Ann arbor before that this car is a lemon, and there isnt anything that has been done about this. In summary, I will never, ever buy another Lexus, nor will I recommend anyone buy one. if Lexus did the right thing and bought my car back, that might change this equation, but it is fairly obvious they dont care about satisfying customers like me; rather, they merely wish to push a new sale.

We recently took our 2008 GS 350 in for a routine oil change at a Lexus dealer in Sharon - what a great and impressive building with nice people. But imagine my shock when they told us that we would need brake calipers again! This car has about 60,000 miles. The brakes, including calipers, and all the tires have already been replaced once. The brake job, including calipers, was replaced by them just a year ago. We were told that there was no warranty. As I am sure you know, this is not an inexpensive repair. We have been religious about having all service done by this same dealer. I am now wondering if this is a defect. This car is not subjected to overt or extreme temperatures. It is housed in a heated garage so what could cause new calipers to go so quickly? I would like some answers. I appreciate your time.

I purchased a Lexus a few years back for one main reason....reliability. Well let me tell you I have never had as many problems with my Lexus as I have had with any other brand. So far I have replaced water pump, side view mirror, 2 door actuators, battery and now the gateway control module is not shitting down resulting in my battery being dead after 1 day of non use. After three years of ownership I have spent over $4,000 for repairs and now they want another $1,000 for an issue that NHTSA has issued a TSB on but since the battery being dead is not a safety issue no recall has been issued. Both the door actuators and gateway control modules are well documented issues with Lexus and they absolutely will not standby their vehicles. I will never buy another Lexus and looking at the other luxury brands for my business. I will gladly pay more to get reliability as apparently Lexus IS no longer a brand synonymous with reliability.

After purchasing two Lexus’, I thought I would stick with the brand for a very long time. This will probably not be the case. After having a series of very negative experiences with my 17 RC350, I will most likely never buy another Lexus. A little while after purchasing the RC it started developing a tapping sound. This noise continued to get louder and I was able to hear it from inside the cabin of the vehicle. I was able to locate the noise coming from the mechanical fuel pump. I took it in to my local dealer for repair. They told me they were unable to duplicate the concern and the assistant service manager displayed no customer service skills whatsoever in any attempt to help me with my issue.I contacted the Service manager the next business day and was able to come in and work with him and the diagnostic tech to duplicate this noise. We spent an hour test driving and listening to another RC they had on the lot. I was told to make another appointment and they would take another look at it. While it was in this time, the dealer involved the regional field specialist and dug deeper. I was ultimately told that even though they were able to duplicate this concern, it was normal operation.I made a complaint with Lexus customer care and this complaint was escalated twice. Two of the three people I spoke to at Lexus were more interested in talking than actually listening to my concern and again showing any kind of customer service. This includes the last individual who was the highest executive level I could escalate this. They made it very apparent that they were not interested in assisting a repeat customer with a valid concern. They made it very clear that losing any further business was less important than repairing my fuel pump.Lexus advertises their luxury vehicles to be the quietest on the road, but when you bring them a valid noise complaint they don’t want to honor the bumper to bumper factory warranty. This is the opposite of what I expect when I invest in a luxury car company most of all Lexus. I did quite a bit of my own independent research and determined that fuel pumps are a bit of a sore spot with Lexus and a bit of an Achilles heel.My vehicle shares the same fuel pump as the IS and the GS. I was given a 2019 GS as a loaner vehicle and the fuel pump was at least 80% quieter. I was also able to determine that the fuel pump for all these cars has 4 successive part numbers. Lexus has obviously redesigned this part several times for important reasons. I am left to wonder if my generation was updated due to excessive noise. Ultimately the unwillingness of Lexus to take responsibility for their product and their customer service leaves me no other choice but to leave record of this and let others know what I have experienced.

I was sitting in traffic and heard a pop. The next morning the interior lining in between the glass had a long separation in it. Took lexus IS 350 to lexus dealer and was told that a rock caused the break. Well, there is no chip in the glass but there was a chip on the top of the roof that had taken a large chip out of the paint. The hit was in alignment with the latch where the top fits into the windshield area...of course being a female, it was clear that the repair manager was right and I was wrong... we are treated different even in 2015. There is no hit on the windshield and due to my experience as an insurance agent for 30 years and having taken glass repair classes, I strongly feel the cause is a stress break caused by the roof structure and the design where the convertible top meets the windshield. The corporate office is to check with the service manager...hear what he says. Now really do you think he will change his story??? I ask that but got the standard answer...he is the service manager. I expect nothing but a run around even after being a loyal Lexus buyer of 5 Lexus....will never buy another Lexus unless they admit that stress cracks do happen and this is one. Overall, our Lexus has performed very well. But, I do have a few minor complaints. First, the paint on the Lexus is very soft and chips easily. The dealer told me that was because of EPA paint requirements. Funny, my Ford which has more abusive use than the Lexus doesnt have paint chipping. I found out too late that there is a clear coat they could have installed over the front to protect the paint. But then, why should I have to pay extra to keep their paint from chipping. Second, very early on, I noticed a minor clicking sound in the engine. Sounded like a lifter on an older car, but only when its cold. I took it in and they kept it overnight but couldnt hear it. Over the years, its become quite a bit louder and when the engine is cold it sounds like a diesel. I just turned over 100,000 miles on the car and other than brakes and tires, its been painless.

I love Lexus line of models, mainly the cars but would really like to see a sportier van or SUV option for us moms on the go, maybe have some options for electronic device storage for all the passengers. I would love to see a wine bottle storage compartment added in as an option when us adults want to go on a night camping trip too. Keep the luxury, keep the excellent quality but amp up the capacity and horsepower. The sleek lines on the exterior set it apart, but what I love most is how the inside fits so well. The features are very high end and the designers and developers obviously put a lot of work into how convenient everything would be to reach. The auto locking of the doors that can be customized by the driver is an amazing feature too, it keeps my children from trying to unlock or open the doors. I can set how long the interior lights stay on, change my exterior signal flash, the brightness of my dash lights, among many other amazing features. The passenger capacity is huge, luxurious and keeps the kids from annoying each other.

I leased a new 2014 Lexus IS 250 in July of this year. On December 2, I was driving in a Walgreens parking lot at less than 5 mph, when I turned the wheel to enter a parking space. The car accelerated, the brake didnt work and the car jumped into a planted median full of bushes, trees, and narrowly missed a phone pole by less than 1/2 foot. Only the mud in the median stopped the car. Naturally, I called Lexus and a tow truck was sent. Since that time, the Lexus dealership, JM Lexus, has had that car, inspecting it until December 10, when they called stating that there is nothing wrong with the car and that I should come and pick it up. Absolutely no information was given to me about test results, incorrect information was given to me about anticipated contact dates by Lexus corporate, and even management at the dealership appears to want to avoid any further discussions. In my conversations with Lexus corporate, they have provided minimal information and said the issue has been turned over to legal. In the meantime, I am driving a car that I am petrified to drive. It appears that it will take a product liability lawyer to intervene on my behalf.

2007 Lexus RX350 - I had to replace rack and pinion steering column due to a leak at 74k miles. I had to replace 2 coils in 2 of the cylinders, one at 62K and 77K miles. In a year, I have had to put over $2,200 in this supposedly reliable car. The car has lots of road noise. I was thinking it was the tires, but recently drove a 2013 loaner with new tires and the road noise is as bad as in my 2007. Im questioning whether or not it is really the tires at all. I looked at 3 Toyota SUVs and they all had awful road noise and thought that stepping up would be different. I cant wait to get rid of this car and will never get a Toyota or Lexus again. I do not know how this car gets the number 1 luxury mid-SUV ratings.

WORST SERVICE EVER. I called to cancel my Lexus Enform service in July, after I sold the vehicle. I was reassured the service was canceled and there would be no future charges. They charged my credit card in October again. I called and was repeatedly disconnected by various associates trying to transfer me to someone who could help. Calling back the 5th time I was told that there was no charge to my account because they did not have a record. I was on hold for over 30 mins. They demanded documentation of proof of sale of vehicle to cancel the service. Do not sign up for this service or provide them with a credit card!!! You will be charged even after your service is canceled, your car sold etc.

On July 5, 2015 my husband took my car to the Lexus Orland Park, IL dealership to have an oil change. On arriving, the serviceman told him that my car needed other work. My husband already knew that he could not authorize any service on my car without my approval. So my husband called me on his phone and let me speak to the serviceman on his phone. I explained to the salesman that I was headed out of town the following day and did not want to do any other work until I returned. I told him to only do the oil change. He was adamant about my windshield wipers and said that I really need new ones. So I told him only do the oil change and wipers. Minutes later I received an email with a price of $417. I called the serviceman and ask how much was the wipers and why was the bill so high. He told me I needed a 90,000 service and that he went ahead and did it. I told him I did not authorize him to do the 90,000 mile service. He told me that my husband told him to do the 90,000 miles service. He told my husband, after he got off the phone with me that I said to do the oil change and wipers and 90,000 service. So my husband signed for the work. When I called him to asked him why did he do what I did not authorized him to do, he said, my husband told him to do it. After he got off my husbands phone he lied and told my husband that I had authorized the 90,000 miles service and then lied to me saying my husband had authorized the work. I told him I would not pay for it and I wanted to speak to his manager, but his manager said that there was nothing he could do but give me 10% off because the work had been done. These people are frauds. So do not take your cars to them. They will do work you did not authorize and will keep your car if you cant pay. I will be writing to the States Attorney office, they need to be investigated.

We have used Lexus cars and RX crossover and prefer the cars as there is a blind spot in the crossover and not a good ride as the cars are easier to handle and park. I like the look of cars better but bought the crossover as thought we would have more storage room but not much difference so a bit disappointed in that. We didnt realize that we didnt have the built in navigation system when we bought the vehicle but we do like the backup notification that you can see behind you until it bings. The RX holds five quite comfortably and a little more roomy than a car and like the bucket seats so convenient when we have other to drive somewhere.

I bought a Lexus RX350 - in 2007. At about the same time, needing a vehicle for commuting, I purchased what some might say is the antithesis of a Lexus - a Hyundai, a Hyundai Elantra (2008), to be precise. Heres what happened since: Date Lexus ($50,000 +) Hyundai ($15,000); Oct 12th 2012, Battery failed (32830 mi); Nov 12th 2012, Idler pulley for drive belt failed (36362 mi); March 11th 2014, Ignition coil #5 failed (42891 mi), replaced drive belts (on highway nearly hit by truck); March 30th 2016, Rear Caliper blown (61498 mi - $654.40); April 20th 2016, Ignition coil #6 failed (62562 mi - $ 293.47); April 20th 2016, Dealer diagnosed leaking steering fluid, recommends steering replacement ($1600 estimate - not done yet).Maintenance items such as regular servicing, brake and tire replacements and such, do not appear in the above list, as also any repairs prior to 2012 (have not kept records). All repairs have been performed at Haldeman Lexus of Princeton, 2630 Brunswick Pike, Business Route 1 North, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648-1000. The vehicle has been run for pleasure, under normal operating conditions. The failures are premature, and entirely unexpected, at these mileages. The vehicle is a Lexus! In contrast, the Hyundai, surprisingly ran fine at 90000 miles +, with no significant breakdowns or repairs, apart from a battery replacement at about 50,000 mi and drive belt replacement at about 85,000 miles. I provided the above comparison to Lexus - have yet to hear from them. No doubt, its difficult to accept that a Hyundai can beat a Lexus hands down, in terms of what Lexus purportedly excels at, manufacturing quality. Looks like we should look elsewhere when we go for a luxury SUV next time!

I am an owner of 2006 GX 470 with a dashboard full of cracks. I received notice in July of 2015 that the dashboard replacement will be covered under an extended warranty Lexus must have created because of the volume of complaints received by other owners. My directions were to contact the local dealer, Wilde Lexus of Sarasota, Florida and register my VIN number and name and the dashboard would be replaced sometime in the first quarter of 2016. Today, Sept. 26, 2016 I called Wilde Lexus to get another update and Im told I am 9th on the list. Funny, because my last inquiry, I was 6th on the list. The service rep. had no excuse for this. So I asked what I could expect and she had no idea. She said the last shipment of dashboards was in July 2016 and nothing since.I then called Lexus Corp and spoke with a customer rep who knew even less. In fact she said dealers are getting a couple of dashboards weekly and the manufacturer is not keeping up with demand. She has NOOOO estimate or timeline to share with me. I told her Wilde Lexus has not received a shipment for over 2 months and they have no idea when to expect another. This is very poor customer service on behalf of the Corporate Lexus. I dont have an issue with Wilde, in fact they are great with service and maintain a high customer satisfaction level, in this case its corporate whos letting down their customers. Im not sure I would buy another Lexus because of this... however Wilde has a Jaguar, Honda, Rover, and a few other brands that I would consider over Lexus.

In 2011 I bought a certified pre-owned 2007 ES350 with 27,000 miles. I experienced rough shifting-clunking and jumping forward on hills. I took it in 4 times to the dealer in Fife, WA and duplicated the problem with the service manager. They reset-updated the computer on the transmission 3 times. But I still have the same problem. I wanted the problem taken care of before the warranty expired. The service manager told me that they could not fix it and would not replace the transmissions computer.I have had two other Lexus. I am very disappointed with their response to this problem. I paid extra for the certification and what did I get? Not what I would expect from a QUALITY car company.

I purchased new my 2008 IS 250, it now has 48,895 miles including an extended four year warranty that is about to expire. I noticed chunks of the dash and door panels literally start falling out, as well as the material turn to a melty, gooey mess. I reported this each and every time I was at the dealership, who graciously agreed to send the car in for detailing (at their expense) - then later tried to tell me that the car was out of warranty, and that this problem was caused by chemicals I used when I washed my car! It wasnt until I became enraged that they sent my issue on to Lexus-in-the-sky, who came back with what they called a fair, good will gesture..... They would pay for half of the replacement, to the tune of $2800.00, since the damage was not considered a material defect. I have two other cars, neither of which are LUXURY cars, both older, one with +125k miles, and the interior looks like the day the car was purchased. I live in Florida, and granted it is hot - but similarly, other makes, models and brands of cars are not plagued by this problematic inferior, interior dash/door panel material.Lexus is branded as a luxury line of cars, and when I purchased this car, I paid for the REPUTATION that comes with the LEXUS brand - including vehicle design, performance, workmanship, and customer service. What I have gotten is five recalls, one including a new rebuilt engine, one for gas pedal issues, air conditioning problems, and now this continual runaround about a problem that is, continues to be recognized as a wide-spread concern.LEXUS needs to bone up and admit there is a problem and its more wide spread than they let on. They also need to stop calling me about their stupid sign-and-drive promotions. I will not invest a dime into any Lexus vehicle until they make this right.... Or not!

I bought this Lexus 2.5 years ago. About a year in and about 95,000 miles once or twice it ran rough at a stop sign for about 3 seconds and corrected itself (thought it was a bit of bad gas). I looked online and saw a post about this possibly being an issue. I also found in the glove box a page from Lexus saying they will take care of this even though it is not a recall. So, I took it to Sacramento Lexus. They said they would validate the issue, order parts, and give me a loaner vehicle. Well, they sure did. They took care of it completely! Obviously out of warranty and fully covered. They even offered to do any other repairs they find while doing the repair at the cost of the part cost only. I was truly amazed at the depth they would take care of a used vehicle not bought from that dealer, out of warranty, and the issue almost never happened that I was aware of. Above and beyond to say the least. Very impressed with Lexus and that dealer.

There was an awesome variety of cars to choose from and it made my decision that much harder because they were all so nice. All equipped car with a nice look. Make you feel like a brand new person. The interior was just as amazing. Much nicer than most cars in todays market. The roomy interior and design allows for you to add your own little touch and personalization. When you can fit more than 4 people on a car, thats what you call awesome. Good enough for larger car pools, if you have several children, or just to take a large family on vacation. My needs were fully met.

I purchased a 2007 470LX in excellent condition. When it was delivered, the rear view mirror was hanging down and the car smelled as if it had been in a flood (car supposedly one-car, Lexus certified pre-owned). The seat belts are water-stained. There is rust on the chrome or metal of the seat belts.Upon delivery, I expressed my dissatisfaction and concern about it being water damaged, but got no satisfactory explanation. I might add that I paid a premium because it was a limited edition with only 32,000 miles. The dealership is not accepting or acknowledging that anything is not as advertised or described to me. My dealership in Dallas (Sewell) had been great, and I have already paid $250 additional to try to get the smell out of the car. Do I have any legal rights, or how can I make Scanlon Lexus respond?

Every statistic and fact out there indicates that service gives any company
Every statistic and fact out there indicates that service gives any company a competitive advantage, and the lack of it can be the demise of the business. When did money become first over the customer? When did customer service get so bad? I didnt expect this from Lexus. Especially since Lexus takes proud in their service and their name. I called customer service because I was told to by the service manager at my local dealership. Only with the intention of them helping me with a solution to my problem. My SD card slot cover is missing. Unfortunately for me Lexus doesnt sale this part individually. You have to buy a new stereo which cost $2389.00. After a few days I was told by my case manager that they find a way to help me and the dealership would be contacting me. A few minutes later she called back and said that she was told to advise me to go to a pick and pull and remove the part from a damaged car. I was truly upset and belittled at this point. So I asked for a Supervisor. The Supervisor called me back and welcomed me to the Lexus family and asked me how she could help. I explained to her what happened and she explained that the part wouldnt be covered under warranty. She called back and stated she talk to the service manager at the dealership and since I bought a used I was responsible for the missing part. Ok, thats exactly what you told me yesterday. I told her I wanted to know who advised me to go to pick and pull. She was more focused on my car being used then helping me. My car is still under warranty. Its still a Lexus what does it matter if its use? When I asked her for the service managers name she couldnt even tell me who she talked to. Which tells me she didnt look into anything. I called the dealership and the service manager said they would never recommend anyone to pick and pull. I truly believe that the service manager didnt his best to help me. I called the exclusive office to see if they could explain to me who advised me to go to pick and pull. Days later I finally got a callback. I was told that it wasnt nothing in the notes that stated that I was advised that. I asked if the calls are recorded if it could be pull for review. No call was recorded she said. How funny is that? So did I just make this all help?? Again no help!! The people that I talked to have Very Poor Customer service skills and are in need of a lot of training. I never got an apology for being told that the dealership would replace the missing part by mistake. Whats the point of having a customer service department if they cant help the customer but only make things worse. Customers want an easy experience. No hassle and no friction. Customers want to deal with knowledgeable professional people. Customers want a friendly experience. People want to be treated like people. After all, they are people – not account numbers. Use customers’ names whenever possible. Look for opportunities to build rapport and break the ice. Show that you care. That’s what friendly people (and businesses) do. Unfortunately you wont get this from Lexus.

Six months ago, I bought my 2007 Lexus ES350 from the Lexus of Naperville. This is a Certified Lexus Car. When I bought the car, I was told that nothing goes wrong on a Lexus. But everything has been going wrong in this car. I have had to take it to the dealership three times with various problems. One of the times, the transmission on the car had failed and had to be replaced. This is the most ridiculous thing to happen on a Lexus at 35000 miles. I have always been a Nissan customer and have 3 Nissan vehicles, at home with one of them at 185000 miles; nothing has ever gone wrong in them. This time, I thought I would give Lexus/Toyota a chance and it has failed from all my expectations. Being afraid, if when this car would break down next, is a very stressful at this time. Please let me know how you guys can help with this purchase of mine, so I can have more stress free nights. If you need more info on the vehicle, please email me and I will be happy to send it out. I will also be writing to the consumer board, on how I have been cheated to buy a certified vehicle that breaks down every few months.Below is some of Art ** from Lexuss responses to my complaint: Thank you for contacting Lexus Customer Satisfaction. We are dedicated to providing superior service. In circumstances that require our attention, we will assist in the resolution process. Thank you for providing us with your comments and concerns with your 2007 ES 350. We apologize this vehicle has not met your expectations. We design our vehicles with our customer ownership experience in mind and it is through correspondence such as yours that we are able to continually improve our products. I have a 2007 Lexus IS 350, purchased it from a local dealer in May 2010, with 43567 miles on it and still under factory warranty and bought an extended 4-year warranty from local dealer. In the end of April 2011, with about 57800 miles, I did an oil change (4th one) with an STP, after market filter from Auto Zone.In May 2011, I received a letter about the recall problems, and weeks later, I brought the car to the local Lexus dealer (Inskip of Warwick) and they replaced the valve springs, fuel pressure pump and gas pedal. About 2 weeks later, my motor was making this ticking noise from my engine. I drove the car for about 50 miles and the noise went away. In October 2011, 5000 miles later, the noise came back but louder and I called them back and brought the car back in to be checked. The next day, I received a call that the engine was knocking and spun a bearing and its not covered through them or Lexus, because they did an oil change and they stated whoever did the oil change last, put the wrong oil filter (Auto Zone only makes one filter for this model) in it causing the engine problem.I have done about two dozen of oil changes in my life and never had this problem. I called the Lexus main headquarters in CA and 3 weeks later, they told me that it was my fault and they were not paying for anything. I requested to see the oil filter that was in my car when they did this oil change and was given a different kind of filter that was dirty and very old-looking. I told them this is not the filter that I put in because it was a different color (white) and was bigger, mine was yellow and smaller. They did not want to hear it. So now I have to pay my mechanic to tear down the engine to see if I need a new one.

Toyota hits a home run every year with the flagship Lexus LS460. The car is put together flawlessly. The mechanical parts roar and purr and make reassuring sounds as the interior parts cuddle you in refined comfort. I have well over 200,000 miles on my 2007 model and no intention of trading it in the near future. In most ways this classic machine is just getting broken in about now. I have followed all recommended service calls, both in and now long out of warranty, and been rewarded with a vehicle that still rules the road. It shines almost as brilliantly after a good wash now as it did right off the showroom floor. I could not be happier with how it just continues to amaze me with its durability and reliability. It has always been my dreams to one day own a Lexus. However, this is not what I intended or expected from such a prestigious and renowned luxury car dealership. Two weeks after purchasing my Pre Owned Certified Lexus ES 350 I have had nothing but major problems with this car, both mechanical and interior issues. The paint on the car is fading and very spotty, the armrest and the leather seats are tearing apart by the day. Typically I am the only one using the car, other than my husband who has his own car, and I do not have any children that would exacerbate the problem. Just recently there was a problem with my trunk latch that was making it almost impossible to close my trunk. I took it to the dealership, and thank goodness it was covered by the warranty.Once I received the car back, about a week later, I noticed the same thing started happening again with the latch, and I also noticed an echo sound when closing the trunk that was not there before they serviced the vehicle. Immediately I contacted their corporate office and told them my concerns, but to no avail. They offered me a voucher that could probably pay for one tire, and just wished me away. I really feel abandoned and betrayed by this dealership, and to some degree, heart broken because this was my dream car. I hope that they can get these current problems resolved without dragging me through a long and drawn out process, and not having to obtain a lawyer to get to the bottom of these issues. If anyone has any suggestions or comments that could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

I purchased my Lexus 2009 RX 350 USE from a Lexus Dealership with Mileage around 35,000/-. Three weeks back when my wife was Driving car to work in the Morning after 10 min of Drive VSC light came up, and after a mile or so Check Engine Light Came up. By the time she stopped the car to Safe place, Car interior area started smelling like burning rubber. She stopped the car and get it towed to nearest local mechanic place. I gave call to Nearest Lexus dealership and asked them about the Issue and if that would be covered by Lexus Warranty. To my total surprised, they declined covering under the warranty because Powertrain warranty expired on Bases of Time of First Sell (72 Months or 70000 Miles). They argued that even though car mileage is still under Warranty period, Since Warranty Expired Four months ago, they would not cover it. Dealership asked me to take this to Lexus Customer Care.I called Lexus customer care and explain them the potential safety concern about sudden water pump failure without any prior indication and asked them if they would cover due to the fact Mileage is still under the warranty limit and close proximity to warranty expiry time limit. I was asked to get vehicle to safe place and wait for Manager to get back to me within three days (By Friday, Incident happened on Tuesday). I waited for call from Lexus but no one returned call till Friday end of business day. I called back and asked to Speak to Manager over there. First of all when she (Vicky) came on call, she had no Idea what issue I was referring to, because she started talking about some Oil pipe failure etc. I had to repeat entire story again, which shows that they didnt even look at my case even though I was told that someone review it and get back to me.Talking to Manager (Vicky) I tried to explain since its part of powertrain and problem existed even Under the warranty period and I dont have direct control over its failure, its clearly indication of bad quality of engine and parts. The most important part is safety hazard of car catching fire due to overheating. Lexus Customer Service stick to the three months over the powertrain warranty and refuse to take any accountability. I was asked to tow the vehicle to nearest Lexus dealership which is 30 miles away from where car is stalled. I asked Lexus about some level of assurance on warranty coverage but they keep on saying We cannot give you assurance of any help at this point. They will talk to Lexus dealership and then only consider this for help. I called nearest Lexus Dealership and asked for the estimation of water pump replacement, they quote me $1200+. Considering towing expense (about $300), hefty dealership cost and absolutely no assurance from Lexus Customer Service, I decided to get water pump replaced at the Local mechanic place where car was pulled over for diagnostics. I paid complete expense out of pocket and filed reimbursement claim with all receipt and documentation. To my total surprise, they declined the claim based on the fact that it wasnt replaced at Lexus Dealership. I swallowed this poisons pill and decided to move on. After three days of driving around (all together less than 100 miles), check engine light came on with VSC light. Took it to same mechanic who replaced water pump and he said its nothing to do with water pump. Now engine is misfiring and heating up. Since it sounded like major problem, I called Lexus Customer service and ask for help in this. I was again asked for to take it to Dealership which I did. Primary diagnostic from Lexus dealership pointed to structural damage to Engine due to premature water pump failure and advise me to replace whole engine, which is huge expense. My bases for taking this to claim is : Water pump is part of Powertrain and has no influence by driving pattern. Failure of water pump at 61000 miles is very premature and indicate toward inherent problem with engine and related components. Safety Issue: There was no sign of water pump failure until last moment when it actually gave up all of sudden. There was very little time before Check Engine lights came on and further damage due to overheating. If it was ignored for couple of miles car would have caught into fire. Powertrain warranty is 70000 Miles or 72 Months, whereas cars mileage is 61000 and time since first usage is 75 months (just 3 months over the warranty). Considering close proximity to warranty expiration, Lexus should consider this for warranty extension. This Engine series is infamous for cooling system issues and several service bulletins have been issued regarding it. Several complaints have been filed about the similar problem, where water pump failure and subsequent engine damage.

At the time Lexus only made three models. Would have loved to have taken home the top model but it was out of my price range. Ended up buying the cheapest model which was the 300 EX. Its a nice car and I enjoyed it a lot until I traded it in for a BMW M3. It had lots of room. I owned it when my second child was born and it had room for both child car seats and for grandma to sit in the back. The front had lots of leg room. It was very comfortable, powerful V6 engine, with a nice quiet ride. It was a nice two-toned color, white over silver and gold plated accents. Got a great deal from the salesman who had a side business of upgrading the chrome accents to gold. Would have cost about $1,000 from the dealer but I got it for half that price.

I own a 2007 IS 250 and on numerous occasions I have complaint about the smell and eventually the torque converter was changed but the problem was never resolved. I was told by the service manager at Lexus that I should try different brands of fuel as it was the quality of the fuel that was causing the problem, which I did, but once again the problem was not resolved. I was then told that the smell was not coming from my car but from the ones in front of me, what nonsense. This terrible smell was witnessed by whoever sat in my car, even when there were no vehicles in front of me. This smell has caused my wife to being diagnosed asthmatic, because whenever she’s in the car and we get the smell, it causes her tightness of the chest. I must say it is the most embarrassing and uncomfortable smell to have in the cabin of your vehicle especially when you have family or friends travelling with you. I never knew owning a Lexus will cause such discomfort to me and my family; imagine if a child is being transported in the very same cabin. I hope someone could help resolve the problem, thank you.

I purchased my first Lexus in the Spring of 2017. Everything was fine until the temperature started to drop & I would hear a loud screeching sound when coming to any stop sign. At first I thought that the brakes were bad... But after getting several opinions from the Lexus Dealership and a few others. I was told that this is a common issue and theres nothing that can be done until Lexus upgrades their brake pads/brakes & that I will be put on the list. Not only is this disappointing because I thought highly of Lexus before but this is extremely EMBARRASSING. I feel as if Im driving a 89 Pinto. Whenever I make a stop you can hear the loud screeching. Never will I buy a Lexus again!!! Also the Lexus Enform Remote start never works. I like in the Midwest with extreme temperatures below 0. Disappointed that I had to pay extra for something that never works!

Horrible experience in customer service. I was calling to understand the bill and I thought I was speaking to a robot since the supposedly person only asked questions and when I requested an explanation only received, I will mail you the contract. After almost 20 years being a Lexus customer I do not deserve that treatment.

I have owned two LEXUS ES since 2001 and have had excellent experience with each. My first was a 1998 and was finally totaled by a hit and run driver in 2016 but had 275000 miles on it without a single repair to the engine or transmission. I serviced as recommended but nothing broke on that car. We have a 2007 now with all options and love this car too. So far at just over 100k miles, we have had mice eat some wires under the hood and the VSC, traction and check engine lights have remained on since repaired and we are not sure why. Also the new car has been hacked and cant figure out how to solve. To those who complain about paying annual to use features, I say dont buy luxury if you cannot afford it and every car has additional features to pay for! OnStar Satellite radio, etc. Overall Lexus is an affordable car at new, used prices so no complaints here! Also one thing about Lexus of the so many things I love is that there is NO road noise!

For two generations, our family has been very loyal by purchasing Toyota cars to drive. For the last 40 years, our family has purchased and driven at least 25 Toyota cars. But we were disappointed with our brand new 2007 Lexus ES350. On December 27th, 2012, I read the article on Yahoo news about the Toyota Motors agreement for settlement of Unintended Acceleration. Well, I owned this 2007 Lexus ES350 and experienced that sudden acceleration problem when the car was set on cruise control driving on the freeway. Therefore, I submitted a written letter by email to Toyota Motors explaining my findings. The reasons for selling this car are because (1) I never heard any reply back from Toyota Motors after submitting a letter to customer service. (2) my wife and family members in Asia was afraid of us driving it in the United States with an accident. Furthermore, they live very far away to come to our immediate attention if we were involved in an accident. (3) Lastly, there were sad news happening here and there because of this sudden acceleration issue. Finally, I sold the car to CarMax dealership in Monrovia, California in March of 2011 with less than 7,000 miles on the odometer. At first, I even went to Longo Lexus/ Toyota (which is the largest Toyota dealership in the United States) to sell the car back, but they explained that there is no recall on my car. The Longo Lexus service foreman even went on a test drive with me in my car and on the street. Also, Longo Lexus/ Toyota refused to give me a reasonable offer to buy my car back. I paid $40,000 brand new and sold the car at a big loss for only $24,000 to CarMax with less than 7,000 miles on the odometer because we were afraid to drive the car.Continuously, our friends and family comfort me that life is more valuable than losing money on a known trouble car. How come Toyota never bothered to help when we have an issue? What happened to good old Toyota reputation? Kindly help me in this matter!

The Lexus RX is the most luxurious car Ive ever driven. Im always complimented about it and the interior is just stunning. And for 40,000 dollars it was definitely a steal and completely worth it. Driving it is smooth and the ride is quiet. The acceleration in 5 seconds took me by surprise. The Lexus RXs can typically hold 6 people. It would be suitable for a small family. If you have a bigger family, Lexus can still hook you up with the GS and the LX etc. I got it in a nice silver color and I always get the urge to wash it (to preserve its beauty). The seats are in great shape, and I find it so amazing that minimal additions and changes could transform it that great. You can customize the interior, exterior and wheels. Its like picking the toppings to add on your perfectly nice fro-yo - its not necessary, but its better - and then you eat it (drive it) and feel content afterwards.

I’m pretty bummed my Lexus RX 350. I bought it at Lexus of Naperville in 2013. It has 54,000 miles now and needs a new engine. It blew a head gasket with no warning, It’s out of warranty and Lexus corporate office denied any assistance. $10,000 worth of work??? I’ve keep up with the maintenance. Had 1 oil change outside of Lexus because their mechanics were on strike. Sorry for the long text. Needed to vent to someone. I’ll have to get it fixed but I’m no longer a Lexus fan. The only good thing is the service Manager Mike really did his best to help???

Turned in my leased 2014 GS350 three months early to a dealer in Idaho on 10 June 2016. I leased the vehicle in California. I paid my three months of payments and was told by the dealer that the car was in excellent shape. Two months later, I receive a bill from Lexus Financial requiring that I pay over $230 for excess wear and use. When I called them about it, they claim that the front bumper was cracked and they have posted a picture of it on an internet website. The picture was taken 5 days after I turned the car in to the dealer. I told three different customer service reps that there was no crack when I left the car at the dealership. They dont care. Lexus Financial is requiring full payment, as the last customer service rep told me that my contract states that I am responsible for damage occurring to the vehicle AFTER I turn it in.I called customer service at Lexus Corporate and complained. That representative took my information and placed it in my file, which she said she would do nothing with... which left me appalled. She asked me what I expected her to do with the complaint so I told her that I would expect that Lexus would care enough about a customer who, prior to this issue, was ecstatic about their Lexus experience to reach out and remedy the situation to the customers complete satisfaction. Apparently, they dont do that. It is sad, because the experience I had with Newport Lexus and Riverside Lexus is now being spoiled forever by Lexus Financial over $230. If they do nothing about it, they are surely a stupid company.

I own a Lexus IS-F with a problem that Lexus themselves knows about but they dont want to do anything about it. Lexus makes 3 different versions of the Is and every model has a warranty enhancement for this issue except their most expensive model the Isf. The problem is the dashboard and door panels are sticky especially when hot out. What a poor product they have made. I only drive Lexus or Toyota, but I might consider another brand being the junk they are producing.

Taking the GM approach to their poor quality. Ignore it and hope it goes away. Not very good for business. Really kills the resale value. Who would want to buy a car with cracks everywhere on the dash. Will have to think twice before buying another.

2014 ES300H - Will NEVER buy another Lexus nor recommend one to family/friends. They DONT stand by their product. Car was only 3 years old & the front passenger door lock malfunctioned. It needed a new door lock actuator. Because I was out of warranty (over 50K miles), they said it wouldnt be covered & the cost was significant. The dealership convinced them since the car was still new, they should cover the cost. Eventually they did. Approximately 9 mos after that lock malfunctioned, the driver side one did the SAME thing. Obviously theres some defective parts in this car given it just turned 4 years old. This time Lexus said theyre not paying for it - they already gave me a courtesy service last year. Can you believe this? Didnt want to hear anything about it even when I tried to call. Wow - so much for customer service! Car wasnt even 4 years old and BOTH door locks stopped working. Think there may be a serious problem here? This is not only an inconvenience but also a SAFETY issue! The dealership was even shocked Lexus wouldnt pick up the tab. Given the car sticker was $48K and bought brand new in 2014, you would think they would backup their product, especially a Lexus. Dont count on it... reconsider before you buy a Lexus!! Truly not the same car it used to be.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I lease a Lexus IS300Fsport, I have had it for about 1 1/2 years now and I have had several issues with my car and Lexus does not care about trying to fix my problems. Ill start with when taking it in for oil change and regular service I advised them that my rear passenger tire had a problem because it was losing air and I was having to fill the tire every two weeks. I was told on 3 separate occasions there was nothing wrong with the tire. In December on my way to a meeting 2 hours away from home on the Turnpike I had a blow out on that tire. As of today I am still waiting for the service manager of the Fort Pierce location to call me back. When taking the car to a tire place I was informed that all 4 tires needed to be replaced as they were all cracked/dry rotted. This car is only 1 1/2 years old and has 25,000 miles. I was then shown that I needed brakes in the front. I spent $1,700.00 for tires and brakes on a new car. I have had many cars in my time and have never had to replace tires and brakes that soon and that low mileage. When I called the corporate office their response was that it was not uncommon. How is that even possible. They had no interest in helping me. On December 25, 2019 I got in the car to find a very nasty wet odor, I proceeded to feel the carpets and found that the passenger back carpet and under the seat was very wet, I dropped it off to the Kendal dealership as I was down there and going out of town. They had my car for 17 days. Never called to update me about the car nor called at any time to tell me what they were trying to do. I called every two days and got no information. After 17 days they called to tell me that they could not find anything and that I needed to pay them because they took the passenger seat out (without calling me to let me know this). By the way the car is under warranty. After 17 days I picked up my car with the same wet smell and wet carpet with them telling me I must have left a window open which I did not! They would not even dry it out for me which I asked them to do so that I could see if it happened again. I left the dealership and noticed that the cover plate underneath the car was not attached and was dragging, I went right back for them to tell me that it was not a big deal. It just needed to be clipped on, well why would the service person not do that before taking the car down off the lift. I then get home and it was dark at this point, but the next morning I woke to see that my driver side rim is destroyed!! I called the dealer immediately to advise them of this for them to tell me the manager was on a business trip and would return Saturday 1/18. I am at this point still waiting for him/her to call me back to discuss this matter. This is a lease and I can not turn the car in with a destroyed rim nor do I want to drive a $50,000 car that is only 1 1/2 years old with a destroyed rim. I am so disappointed in Lexus product but even more so with their staff/managers at more than one location. I would advise anyone thinking of getting a Lexus to spend your money elsewhere. I have been the owner of very expensive sports cars and have never had problems like this. The worst part is that Lexus does not even care! I guess that is what you can do when you are such a big cooperation. My daughter in law was either buying my lease out when it came time or getting a Lexus. I have advised her not to do either.... Very unhappy customer!

I bought my 2006 GS300 1/07 with 7,000 miles. I had all maintenance performed at the dealership since ownership. Absolutely nothing performed elsewhere, whether oil/filter, tires, brakes, etc. All periodic maintenance was religiously performed. My car would rough idle occasionally, and it began eating oil several years ago. Numerous oil consumption checks, and many, many trips to the dealership. My check engine vsc light came on 1/5/15, something that had occurred previously on multiple occasions, and I immediately took it to the dealership. Was told I NOW need the engine misfire repair, which to my understanding includes replacement of the pistons. Lexus Satisfaction has to get involved after the request for the repair from the dealership was denied by Lexus because the car is now 9 years old (which coincidentally just occurred). The engine misfire repair will be performed as long as the car is less than 9 years old. I then battled with Lexus Dissatisfaction and was ultimately informed they would not compromise on their decision. It is truly a very disappointing decision. Nothing more than typical corporate games. I will NEVER purchase another Lexus.

The distinct appearance and standard features of this car brand include its body shape, how it handles on the road, and the amazing quality of the interior let you know you bought a luxury vehicle. The various upgrade and personalization options include very, very expensive parts. Buying upgrades for these brands put you out of pocket quite a bit of money so its best to just buy the one youre comfortable with and not upgrade parts. This brands passenger capacity is that its the same as every other car brand. If its a four seater, its a four seater. Maybe you can fit one more uncomfortably. But its the same. Bought a 2015 GS 350 car. Was over 50k and not fully loaded. The bad interior colors are all black unless you get a white exterior or black exterior. Then you get the option of only a few interior lighter colors then deep black. Second Lexus engineers destroyed the navigation system by taking away touch screen and installing a mouse to click 1 letter or number at a time, 10x slower than the old touch screen. Also their talk in navigation does not work half the time because its affected by AC or radio noise. Its real garbage, a $150 tom tom is faster and better. They did this to save money. It will be gone next year or so. Also the geniuses at Lexus actually have a knob that pipes in engine noise into the cabin like its a high powered corvette, ridiculous. Now for the ride. Its rough because their 18 rims and little tire contacting road so you feel every little mild bump. Also the rims are dull cheap looking fake silver. Really ugly. The backup camera is fair but no front camera because they raised dashboard height to accommodate junk navigational. Now you cant see past mid hood creating blind spot of front distance of car to an object. Very little contrasting color on door panels or dash just a fake chrome colored clock. And the six stack CD player is gone now also with a basic 1 CD insert and a few speakers average sound. Then to turn on accessories like windows, wipers, radio etc. You have to go through a crazy touch button twice while foot on brake pedal. Yes you can get satellite radio for a fee plus to use through the junk navigational will take 5 minutes to move a mouse for station. Then they got Lexus Enform built in with your navigational where you can pull car over and play with mouse to make dinner reservation, concerts, etc. Its idiotic just read up on the reviews of Lexus Enform. Use your cell to call a place you want reservations. It is 20x faster. Also the car engine with the dual exhaust is noisy as hell. Your neighbor can hear the motor running 3 doors down. I have a 2002 Lexus so this is how I know where the mistakes are in the new car compared to the 2002 GS 300 model which is so much better designed than the new 2015 junk. Also premium gas only and lousy mileage. I would have looked at other cars but my wife loved the old Lexus so she thought the new one would have the same nice features and smooth ride. No way is this plastic car worth more than $38,000 not 53k.So what is better on the Lexus 2015 versus 2002? Nothing to be honest. Has a few more useless steering wheel gadgets, thats it. So what do I like about it? Just increased engine power for passing. If youre thinking about buying this model take it on the freeway and some side streets with a few bumps then youll pass. Car was new when we bought it but had 90 miles on it telling me about 15 people test drove it then passed. I bought it from the liars at Keyes Lexus and they have some real trashy middle eastern hustlers that worked there. It was 5 hours of lies before I regretfully bought from the low class staff. Heres how much profit they make on a 53k MSRP car about 8-9 thousand so now you know what price theyll sell it at.Also the liar sales manager hustled my wife into an added warranty for 2 extra years only for $2800. Huge rip off. After we bought warranty the sales people said all new Lexuss come with a 7 year engine & trans warranty and 4 yr. 50,000 on the other parts. Before you buy look at Acura, Cadillac, Honda, etc. Also dont buy it if it has a mouse for typing and no touch screen. Last thing the door handles are painted silver but made of PLASTIC. For $53,000 3 stars overall is correct rating. The end!!!
