Buy Lexus Automobile 2022 Lexus RX
The staff went out of their way to be certain all my concerns were addressed, scheduled a loaner auto and completed the work as promised and on time. They followed up to assure I there were no outlying problems. I will continue to bring my auto here for service.
Purchased new 2017 Lexus (our 3rd) and canceled the balance of our Enform for our old Lexus. However, after multiple calls, emails and over 10 weeks, still no refund. Lexus customer service failed to provide satisfaction, just stating they are behind in payments. Furthermore, when I purchased the 2017 Lexus I had asked twice for a customer survey (for dealership/sales), still, no survey and I bought the car in early May 2017.
The car feels like a status symbol and the reputation and style contributed to my selection. The luxury features sold me. The heated seats the leather interior, the camera, the overall look of the cars body and the reputation of the brand. Love all the power items, the style, comfort and smooth ride. It gets attention, the seats are so comfortable and there is adequate leg room in back. Its a great luxury car. I am happy with all features but maybe have lower price, self driving and parking. Available in more colors, more standard features and more customizable features also.
I purchased a brand new 2015 Lexus IS 250 in the South Atlanta Dealership. I cant complain about Bryan, the person who sold it to me. He was great. Now I had to bring it in for my first free 5000 miles service. I drove 1 1/2 to Atlanta thinking they were going to do the first oil change. When I get there they tell me it is not for an oil change. That my vehicle because it is the F Sport doesnt require an oil change until it reaches 10,000 miles so all they did was check the fluids and the minimum service supposedly required. Now I just took it in for my 10,000 mile service and they do the first oil change. I ask Colby what oil they use, the blend or the full synthetic and he tells me he used the full synthetic. The full synthetic would not require me to change the oil until the following 10,000 miles but when I leave the dealership and I look at the sticker they place on the windshield I notice it requires me to change the oil in the next 5,000 miles. I do not understand. So I am guessing they used the blend and not the full synthetic. Not only that, when they give me the paper stating the car was complete and I go out to get my car I see a young gentleman jump in my car and drive off on it. I ask one of the person at the service desk why did they take my car again and she starts trying to contact and find out who had it. A couple of seconds passed and here they bring it back to me. As the young gentleman comes out of my vehicle he states he had left something inside my vehicle and had to get it, but why just not open the vehicle and take whatever item he had left inside instead of driving off on it? Now 10 days later my maintenance light comes on stating my car is due for an oil and filter change. I called the Lexus service department and they tell me they forgot to do the reset and that is why the light was coming on so they guide me on how to do it through the phone. I am really disappointed about the service provided here. Dont know if they just didnt care because it was the first 2 free services provided to me. Honestly I love my Lexus but I am not sure if I will drive another 1 1/2 to just get a poor service done on my vehicle. Will probably just use a Toyota dealership here in my area.
2017 Lexus GPS - Queuing up the GPS the radio volume works properly and quiets down so you are able to hear the request. However when giving you instructions the radio remains playing and doesnt quiet down. As such you cannot hear the instructions because the radio continues playing. This causes mass confusion & almost caused an accident several times. Piece of junk. Contacted Lexus. They offered to buy me a Garmin!! They know about the problem however they havent fixed it. Bottom line this is the last Lexus I will ever buy. Beautiful automobile but terrible company to deal with. Product is defective and extremely dangerous!
My car holds 4 people so thats enough for any of my friends or family. Its the perfect amount for any type of travel to wherever we wanna go. This car gets me happy and is ready to drive whenever and wherever. Its so beautiful and the upgrades help it to its fullest. If she was beautiful before then shes gorgeous now. If I was a car, I would date my car. That pretty much describes how beautiful she is. Im really enthusiastic about my car and I get happy with the varied models. I would buy 50 of them.
The car I bought is very up to date with technology. Its a very good running car. Best decision I have ever made. Has satellite radio, GPS, charger outlets, lots of space and comfy seats, TV hookups, lots of lights inside, plenty of trunk space, good interior, all electric. They give you the option to personalize the car how ever you want in whatever way you choose. We didnt personalize though and just got it the way it came. The passenger capacity is really good for smaller families with only a couple of kids. I wouldnt recommend this car for big families, everybody needs to be comfortable.
Turned in my leased 2014 GS350 three months early to a dealer in Idaho on 10 June 2016. I leased the vehicle in California. I paid my three months of payments and was told by the dealer that the car was in excellent shape. Two months later, I receive a bill from Lexus Financial requiring that I pay over $230 for excess wear and use. When I called them about it, they claim that the front bumper was cracked and they have posted a picture of it on an internet website. The picture was taken 5 days after I turned the car in to the dealer. I told three different customer service reps that there was no crack when I left the car at the dealership. They dont care. Lexus Financial is requiring full payment, as the last customer service rep told me that my contract states that I am responsible for damage occurring to the vehicle AFTER I turn it in.I called customer service at Lexus Corporate and complained. That representative took my information and placed it in my file, which she said she would do nothing with... which left me appalled. She asked me what I expected her to do with the complaint so I told her that I would expect that Lexus would care enough about a customer who, prior to this issue, was ecstatic about their Lexus experience to reach out and remedy the situation to the customers complete satisfaction. Apparently, they dont do that. It is sad, because the experience I had with Newport Lexus and Riverside Lexus is now being spoiled forever by Lexus Financial over $230. If they do nothing about it, they are surely a stupid company.
We have an 07 LS460 that was purchased as a certified car in July 2010 with 29,000 miles. I was called around November 2012 when car was in for service about extended warranty. The guy said that he would get with us before certified ran out. We had car in for service in June 2013. They replaced a few items and were told of a knocking noise when braking. Neither myself or the Lexus folks think about the warranty. Now 2 weeks out of warranty and only 52,000 miles on the car, it needs a brake actuator at a quoted cost of 3,000 dollars. They have offered a 50 percent off to fix it. When I look online I see that the knocking noise was this part. This is our 3rd LS and also 1 RX for my daughter. Very disappointed with Lexus. Could be a safety issue and seems to be a problem on the newer LS. After 16 years of having a Lexus, there will be no more. I was told that they would work with me if I traded the car on a newer one, that they could absorb the $1500 in the trade. What a bunch of trash.
There was a large selection, many colors and varieties and it was easy to find the one I wanted. The car looked new and was a sleek model. It really reflected the modern vision of what the model should have been and it made me feel elated. Also, the passenger capacity of this car was extremely large. I can fit at least four people in the vehicle and it is great for taking people places. There was a wide variety of upgrade and personalize options that made me proud of my purchase and I was extremely happy with them.
I wanted a certain blue color but there were not many choices. I wouldve gotten a different car that came in the color I wanted but my husband insisted on getting a Lexus. When I got it, it was shiny and looked as new as any car Ive ever seen. On the inside I had no problems as it was clean and well kept. My husband says there werent many options for customization or upgrades. He also said that we wouldnt need it anyways because the car is perfect as it is. I only needed 3 seats but there is more room than that so we can put other things in the seats when we arent using them and if we do need the extra seating for whatever reason, we can put the other stuff in the trunk.
Beware of this diagnosis. It is not covered as of now from Lexus and is a 6,000-7000 dollar repair due to their drain hose design and placement in vehicle. I just bring it in for 10000 mile service and within a week the car started to take in water. Its been a problem with these cars since 2012 and they wont do anything to fix it because theyre claiming natural causes. I leased car from lexus of Rt 10 in Whippany NJ. They wont help or lexus 1-800 wont either even knowing this problem has been going on for many years. I went on lexus forums to see if other people have had same experience and the answer is yes from same dealership also too but after their 5000 mile service. Beware and spread the word about lexus.
I purchased new my 2008 IS 250, it now has 48,895 miles including an extended four year warranty that is about to expire. I noticed chunks of the dash and door panels literally start falling out, as well as the material turn to a melty, gooey mess. I reported this each and every time I was at the dealership, who graciously agreed to send the car in for detailing (at their expense) - then later tried to tell me that the car was out of warranty, and that this problem was caused by chemicals I used when I washed my car! It wasnt until I became enraged that they sent my issue on to Lexus-in-the-sky, who came back with what they called a fair, good will gesture..... They would pay for half of the replacement, to the tune of $2800.00, since the damage was not considered a material defect. I have two other cars, neither of which are LUXURY cars, both older, one with +125k miles, and the interior looks like the day the car was purchased. I live in Florida, and granted it is hot - but similarly, other makes, models and brands of cars are not plagued by this problematic inferior, interior dash/door panel material.Lexus is branded as a luxury line of cars, and when I purchased this car, I paid for the REPUTATION that comes with the LEXUS brand - including vehicle design, performance, workmanship, and customer service. What I have gotten is five recalls, one including a new rebuilt engine, one for gas pedal issues, air conditioning problems, and now this continual runaround about a problem that is, continues to be recognized as a wide-spread concern.LEXUS needs to bone up and admit there is a problem and its more wide spread than they let on. They also need to stop calling me about their stupid sign-and-drive promotions. I will not invest a dime into any Lexus vehicle until they make this right.... Or not!
I leased ES 300 from Pohanka Lexus. After 28000 miles the Bridgestone tires are bald. I reached out to Bridgestone, they told me that the ES300 is a high performance tire and go bald in 30000 miles. I told them that I drive Hybrid for more mileage and I dont race. The service department told me that the Bridgestone tires are bad tires and I need to replace it with Michelin tires as they will last for 60000 miles. When I approached Lexus Warranty, they took over a week and got back to me. The Warranty department told me that the ES 300 Bridgestone tires are bad and I need to buy new set of tire as it is not covered in the Warranty. When I checked with them about bumper to bumper warranty, they told me that tire is not covered. I told him that I have a Ford Fusion hybrid and I changed the tire after 75000 miles. Lexus ES 300 uses bad and cheap quality Bridgestone tire.
Nice, dependable, smooth. Most of the cars are somewhat large 4 door cars which is good for families especially if you have car seats to deal with. Wasnt bad for a 1st car and if you like full sized Sedan body cars Lexus is a good brand to go with. Lexus cars tend to be large kind of luxury looking cars even if you get one of the cheaper costing ones. They can feel like youre driving a tank that has electric windows you can roll down. The Sedan body Lexus cars can legally fit 5 people usually, but it is possible to squeeze more people in.
I called Lexus customer service over a disagreement I had with the local dealership where I purchased an RCF. After a week, a junior level employee called me back, explained to me that my original customer service contact was off for the day and then parroted the same story I got from the dealership. When I asked some follow up questions he said he was only reading from notes and couldnt answer specific questions. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I suspect that the CS rep that was working my case had the flunkie call me back so she didnt have to deal with me, but of course that is only speculation. I let it go at that although I should have told the junior guy to have the original contact call when she was back in the office.
Its been going on for years now. They call it a reconditioning because the word RECALL I guess is a little taboo. My interior has melted! If you catch it with your fingernail, a chunk of my dash is under your nail. My upper dash, which meets my windshield, looks wet. I can literally sink my fingertips into the dash. So, I take it in for this reconditioning and they are very thorough while taking pictures and writing notes. I take it back to get all the panels installed and they didnt even give me the parts that are affected the most. No dash, which is extremely noticeable, or door panels and arm rests where you actually come in contact every time you drive the car. It is so sticky, my interior is melting and Lexus wont replace the defected parts. I have seen cars that are 50+years old and do not have these issues. There has to be more Lexus owners who are experiencing this same sort of mistreatment. I am willing to take this as far as making it a legal matter and posting it on every social outlet that will let me do so. Shame on you Lexus. Some of these models went for over $70,000 new, and your interior didnt last 4 years.
It is comfortable, nice handling, easy to park and a good looking SUV. We looked at all of the luxury 5 passenger SUVs and the RX-350 stood out above all the rest. Good performer and satisfactory fuel mileage for an AWD.
I bought a brand new 2017 LS 460 an $80,000+ car. I purchased it because Ive had multiple German cars Mercedes and BMW and felt they spend too much time in the repair shop. Well it didnt get much better with my new Lexus. Keep in mind Lexus doesnt have the extra bells and whistles of the German cars so I hoped by buying a Lexus the German car money would go for absolute best build quality and reliability. Right? Keep it simple, make everything out of the best. I should only have to see my dealer for regular scheduled service. I was definitely wrong about that. Ive been in 7 times in 3 months. Ive owned it and theyve fixed nothing. Theyve identified issues but fixed nothing and scratched my rear leather and scratched my dash during a detail. Oh and forgot to clip my rear all-weather floor mat down after a detail so it got caught in my seat rails and ruined my floor mat. It was clipped when I dropped it off.Anyways on top of the dealer not caring for your car if you contact Lexus directly, they dont call you back or they tell you they cant do anything for you. You ask the rep to speak with their supervisor, they say they are as high up in Lexus as you can go and there is nobody else you can speak with. I just dont know what to do. I regret buying a Lexus and Ive only had it a few months. I feel Ive put a good amount of miles on loaner cars. Honestly whenever my German cars broke for example I had a 2016 BMW Z4, whenever I brought it in for service they took care of the problems the first time and always cared about my car. I never got my car back in unsatisfactory condition and they put out the extra effort to diagnose it to fix it correctly. I have yet to receive that kind of service from Lexus. When I brought it in for the scraping noise the dealer said we hear it but we cant find it so youll just have to keep driving it until whatever it is fails. Wait what? I have to drive my brand new $80,000 car until it fails? What kind of work is that. So I called Lexus directly and they told me they side with their franchise dealers diagnosis of the problem. Ill just have to wait, or I can go to another dealer. Im hesitant to go in about the oil burning smell because I want it fixed. I dont want to have a car that I have to wait till it runs out of oil before theyll fix it.Things wrong with the car to date: Rear interior trim/headline piece broke and fell off at 600 miles (although nobody has been in the back seat), plastic trim on dash under stereo warping at 1300 Miles, headliner around sunroof cover coming unglued and snagging on cover at 1400 miles, rough idle at 2300 miles, scraping sound when ambient temperature is below 70 degrees when engine running and driving at 4500 miles still undiagnosed, confirmed but undiagnosed by the dealer, oil burning smell and engine cutting out and surging at 6400 miles need to make a service appointment for this latest disappointment.
If I could rate 0 stars I would. I lease a Lexus IS300Fsport, I have had it for about 1 1/2 years now and I have had several issues with my car and Lexus does not care about trying to fix my problems. Ill start with when taking it in for oil change and regular service I advised them that my rear passenger tire had a problem because it was losing air and I was having to fill the tire every two weeks. I was told on 3 separate occasions there was nothing wrong with the tire. In December on my way to a meeting 2 hours away from home on the Turnpike I had a blow out on that tire. As of today I am still waiting for the service manager of the Fort Pierce location to call me back. When taking the car to a tire place I was informed that all 4 tires needed to be replaced as they were all cracked/dry rotted. This car is only 1 1/2 years old and has 25,000 miles. I was then shown that I needed brakes in the front. I spent $1,700.00 for tires and brakes on a new car. I have had many cars in my time and have never had to replace tires and brakes that soon and that low mileage. When I called the corporate office their response was that it was not uncommon. How is that even possible. They had no interest in helping me. On December 25, 2019 I got in the car to find a very nasty wet odor, I proceeded to feel the carpets and found that the passenger back carpet and under the seat was very wet, I dropped it off to the Kendal dealership as I was down there and going out of town. They had my car for 17 days. Never called to update me about the car nor called at any time to tell me what they were trying to do. I called every two days and got no information. After 17 days they called to tell me that they could not find anything and that I needed to pay them because they took the passenger seat out (without calling me to let me know this). By the way the car is under warranty. After 17 days I picked up my car with the same wet smell and wet carpet with them telling me I must have left a window open which I did not! They would not even dry it out for me which I asked them to do so that I could see if it happened again. I left the dealership and noticed that the cover plate underneath the car was not attached and was dragging, I went right back for them to tell me that it was not a big deal. It just needed to be clipped on, well why would the service person not do that before taking the car down off the lift. I then get home and it was dark at this point, but the next morning I woke to see that my driver side rim is destroyed!! I called the dealer immediately to advise them of this for them to tell me the manager was on a business trip and would return Saturday 1/18. I am at this point still waiting for him/her to call me back to discuss this matter. This is a lease and I can not turn the car in with a destroyed rim nor do I want to drive a $50,000 car that is only 1 1/2 years old with a destroyed rim. I am so disappointed in Lexus product but even more so with their staff/managers at more than one location. I would advise anyone thinking of getting a Lexus to spend your money elsewhere. I have been the owner of very expensive sports cars and have never had problems like this. The worst part is that Lexus does not even care! I guess that is what you can do when you are such a big cooperation. My daughter in law was either buying my lease out when it came time or getting a Lexus. I have advised her not to do either.... Very unhappy customer!
I have a 2007 GX470 around 55000 thousand miles and park inside garage most of the time. I notice lil small crack around my cluster/meter for months now and I figure oh its just a small crack and then one day I notice a long crack running from left to right about 2 ft long. I call Lexus and they told me bring it in and they take pictures and turn out my extended warranty not cover. WTH and they had the nerve to charge me around $1200 and they ask can I afford to paid $500+. I told them I cant afford to paid anything. It suppose to be cover and they even said that they have customer with same problem. They will contact me 3-4 weeks and let me know how much it cost. Makes me dont want to buy any kind of Lexus car ever. Im disgusted.
I never thought of owning a premium vehicle. The track record of this company (Toyota) indicates a real commitment to quality that is built in. I might have bought the Highlander but I didnt. No remorse here. For a luxury vehicle the ride is a little bit harsh, but I like that, it handles well for a big vehicle. It is fast, much faster than the 4.0l ford ranger it replaced. Fuel economy? Meh, not great at 20mpg on average. The 3.5l V-6 is already a legend being in production a very long time. The six speed automatic is very nice and inspires confidant driving. Comfortable? Oh yeah, the heated (or cooled) leather seats more than make up for any road harshness. In a word this RX350 is fabulous. I have the base model and it sure is well equipped BUT, to tell the truth I do not find the infotainment system all that user friendly and as such, about the only part I use is the radio, not the Sirius radio. Lexus demands some big money to keep updates fresh, so they can keep it. I would rather use my Android phone. The market seems to favor SUVs. If youre in that market, be sure to test drive a new or used (pre owned) RX350. While youre at it check the resale prices on a ten year old model of your choice.
I have a 2013 350 Lexus with 43477 miles on my car. Sensor went out on the car, brought it to the dealership to get repair and what they told me I just could not believe what they said and the amount the dealership want me to pay. My car is still under factory warranty. Have anybody else had this problem with their factory warranty?
This brand goes to great lengths to add detail to the interior of the car. The detail makes the car feel classy. Intuitive gauges to slick interior is one of the reasons I keep coming back. Gauges are setup in a way that makes it easy to read. Car stark is awesome. The options on wheels was something I liked and upgraded audio was something I found extremely valuable. Updated dashboard lighting was also a plus. Im happy with the amount of space inside the vehicle. I have a family of four plus a dog and never have any issue packing my car for trips.
Have a 2008 Lexus RX 350. Dash board has begun to crack everywhere. Contacted Lexus to no avail. New dash is 1400.00 plus labor. They know about this problem and are choosing to do nothing. Taking the GM approach to their poor quality. Ignore it and hope it goes away. Not very good for business. Really kills the resale value. Who would want to buy a car with cracks everywhere on the dash. Will have to think twice before buying another.
I bought a Lexus GS 350, new in 2008. I previously owned (2) Lexus GS 300 and had not major problems with either. I bought the 2008 because I knew I was retiring, would be traveling (out of town parents/relatives) and there were such great reviews as it is now about the car: reliability, safety, craftsmanship. I maintained my car well, especially the oil changes, every 4,000 to 5000 miles. I had an oil change in Feb 2014, 86290 miles. On April 7, 2014, Low Engine Oil Level light came on (89676 miles), a total of 3,386 miles. I was told that the car was getting older and to check it and add oil if needed. May 21, 2014 the light came on again (92,847 miles) a total of 3,171 miles. And the list goes on! Of course the consumption tests says within consumption levels. I now have 121,817 miles on the car as of today. Im adding a quart of oil about every 2 weeks. I had the oil changed today 11/3/15 (**), and they wrote on the ticket oil level low prior to service. Lets see how long it will be before the light comes on again!Im sure Lexus knows theres a problem, no car just burns oil for no reason. I wonder are they telling those buying their cars that theres a Consumption problem after so many miles??? Probably not!! I have two friends, one with a GS 300 and the other a RX 300 that are having the same problem. I have a 1989 Mercury Marquis, within excess of 225000 miles, and Ive never had to add oil between oil changes. Nor has my husband who has a 2006 Ford Expedition with 148000 miles!! Something needs to be done and Lexus should take responsibility for this problem. Lets try to get it out to as many people as possible. If someone has a lawsuit in progress contact me, **. Id like to join the suit!!! Im 68 years old and shouldnt have to purchase another car; it wouldnt be a Lexus if I did!!!
Overall, Lexus RX 450H 2013 is a great car. Ergonomics, not so much. Real lack of storage in front seat - not even a place to store sunglasses! But about seven places to put your water bottle. Awful design for convenience. Also, rear seats dont fold flat. Cmon, would it be that hard to do? Gas mileage is so-so, at around 24 high-test. A Santa Fe would do better.
Lexus had a major recall on the dash and replaced it. I just wish they would have done that from the start instead of giving us the runaround.
Mr. David **, of Bell Lexus Service, Phoenix, AZ told me that this has been a known problem. I think this is a defective material issue that should have been disclosed before I purchased the Lexus, as I would not have purchased a car that I use for business that absorbed fabric dye from dark pants, skirts, etc. I expected better quality; especially from Lexus! My local detail shop cannot get the dye stains out of the sides of the seats and door panel. Bell Lexus did get it out and they put a sealer on the seats and door and within two days the stains were back. David told me that I could bring the car back for seat cleaning but not every week. David also suggested that I not wear expensive jeans or other dark fabrics in the car? Do I tell my clients the same thing? What if I purchased a leather sofa and this happened? Shouldnt the same principles apply? As a Real Estate professional, I use my Lexus in my business to transport clients. Appearance is an important part of my job. A stained interior will very likely cost me lost sales, lost listings, and fewer referrals. My car is a business investment. Even the non-professional Lexus owner would not like this happening to their supposedly high quality car.Since David was acting as an agent for the Lexus admits the problem; I want this issue addressed and corrected. It is obviously, an undisclosed defect, in that it is inferior quality material, especially with a tan interior. For certain, the sides of the seats and door panels are made from defective materials. Please correct this problem as soon as possible, for I do not want to suffer any further losses.
There were three different models to choose from for this particular make. We decided to go with the second best model because it included the options that we wanted. The exterior is sleek with sharp lines and soft contours. The interior is also sleek. I like the sound system and the navigation system. With our particular model, we decided that we wanted to upgrade a couple of options, particularly the sound and navigation systems. We also decided on the premier leather seats. In addition, we are able to comfortably seat five adults. The capacity was one of our major concerns when purchasing a new car. This model definitely fits our needs.
I have a Lexus GS460 2011 and been using for more than three years now, and recently my ABS broke down. We bought new one for 4,000 dollars. After replacing it, unfortunately, the same problem occur. That means I have to buy again new one for another 4,000 dollars. Company should make it cheaper because the cause of the problem is from the manufacturer side. I am thinking of buying another car before the incident happened but now I have doubts and confusion to buy or not because Im scared to take risk the same issues might occur.
Lexus has plenty of varieties. You can choose a wide variety for whatever kind of car you like the most. There are options for just about any kind of person and whatever type of car anyone could want. There are many options as far as sizing. Any size of family can have options as far as capacity of passengers, from a very small number to one much larger. These cars come in any kind of color or design or feature you could want. There are many possible combination and customizable options that anyone can look at. This makes it easier to design a car to specifically fit what you are looking for.
Lexus LS 460. Bad quality. Spent almost $80k for a car that after 4 yrs, the upgraded Mark Levinson amplifier went dead. Price for new amp is $3000. This is ridiculous and poor craftsmanship. Bad product by Mark Levinson and bad service by Lexus not doing anything about it. Have been loyal to Toyota and Lexus for over 35 years but no more buying Lexus again. Thought I bought their flagship car and have great parts and service but neither was true.
My 2005 Lexus RX 330 also hairline cracks on dash. I have contacted Lexus Customer Service concerning defect in dash. Their response was vehicle is out of warranty. I have 110K miles and knew my vehicle was out of warranty. I thought since Lexus had acknowledge of the faulty dash would replace them since they are aware everyone is having the same problem. Im concerned the crack near my passenger airbag could cause possible eye injury if the airbag deployed and the debris from faulty dash exploded everywhere. Lexus should repair the faulty dash when they are aware everyone is having the same problem. I dont think Lexus is concerned about safety of their customers.
In July of 2011, we bought a new RX 350 at Lexus of Chandler. Recently, we have noticed the paint on the front of the hood is pitted. There is no damage to any other area at the front of the car. The dealer said it was from dust storms, and there was nothing they could do. They also said that they could show us cars on their lot that have similar damage. Thats a nice thing for a potential buyer to see. We traded in a 2002 Pathfinder with no paint problems. We still have a 2004 Infiniti with no damage. Yes, we live in the desert, but why would a new car sustain paint damage, when other, older cars do not? I question the quality of a Lexus paint job.
I received a letter from Lexus today informing me that my two Lexus cars (IS 250 and ES 350) will be recalled at some point in the future due to a defect in the Takata Front Passenger Airbag Inflator. It said the airbag can deploy due to this defect and possibly send metal fragments through the airbag striking and possibly injuring or killing the vehicle occupant. It also said that Lexus is working on preparing a remedy and will send another notification when the remedy becomes available. Then it says What should you do? Until the remedy becomes available, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat.So their solution is to not have us drive with anyone in the passenger seat until some unknown time in the future (1 month? 6 months? 1 year? 2 years?), when they finally contact us to fix the defect. This is unacceptable. How are families that need to use the passenger seat to carry everyone supposed to function with this solution? They need to come up with a short time fix until the longer term problem can be resolved, e.g., remove the deadly airbag in the near term and replace it at some point in the future. We have seat belts that can protect the passenger in the meantime and the seat belt will not kill someone unexpectedly. My impression is Lexus sent his note because they are more concerned about their legal liability if the defect occurs and less concerned about how thousands families with IS 250 or ES 350 are suppose operate day to day and never use the passenger seat until Lexus determine the best method for minimizing their costs to address this issue.
The Lexus ES350 was top rated for safety and was a Best Buy for 2017. Comfortable and easy to drive, with enough power for emergency situations. I like the rearview camera and lane departure warning systems. The lane departure warning is very helpful, as well as the backup camera. Controls are easy to reach on the dashboard. But I do not like the driver side seat as compared to my BMW seats as it does not hold you in the seat enough. I also dislike the seat headrest as it is too far forward.
Leased 2017 GX 460 white SUV. Paint discoloration, and the called “leather” seats are crap. They are stained and the dealer cleaned the seats and now I got pieces missing. I’ve never been so disappointed and upset. So besides the above mentioned. They installed two TV’s on each seat and there’s a huge color difference between the top headrest where the TV are installed and the actual seat. I always owed the TVs that come installed from the manufacturer not aftermarket by Lexus. So when we take the car for the scheduled maintenance now if you need a loaner it takes 3-4 weeks for the Lexus dealership to give an appointment date. To top it out they don’t wash nor vacuum the car.Basically, you are better off going to the Hyundai, Honda or Kia dealership. Pay way less and get excellent customer service and no stress. Trust me Lexus IS way overpriced for the quality. Example. My friends wanted a Lexus just like ours but they started noticing all the defects and they got an BMW SUV. You should see the difference. First in the customer service was excellent and the luxury and technology of the car. Lexus are all outdated and with many issues on quality. There’s something serious going on with the quality control department. Reported all and they promised me back in November, then in December to order me a black on black Lexus. The pigeon died on the way! It’s August and nothing. And we have been dumb enough to recommend family and friends to the torture and they have done business but consideration for us. Watch when my lease is over that I’ve driven that nasty looking car how the black on black will magically appear but to their surprise they lost another customer. Last Lexus that I purchase or lease.
My 2013 Lexus ES 350 started leaking not long after we bought it new in August 2013. We have an automatic car wash by our house that we have used for years with no problems. My 13 Lexus always leaks and it has been to the dealership five times to figure out why. I even called them one morning on my way to work because rain was leaking in the roof. I was informed yesterday that the dealership got Lexus involved and that their response was that their car is not designed to go through a high pressure car wash and that it could not be fixed. I was shocked and terribly disappointed by their response. None of my previous cars, nor any of our friends or family who have cars with sunroofs have had a problem at this car wash, but Lexus cant design their car to go through leak free!? If they fixed it or told me they were still going to try and figure it out, it would be a little easier to accept, but to tell the consumer that essentially their car is not built well enough to withstand the same conditions as every other make and model out there indicates to me that it is not fit for operation and not worthy of its price tag!
I purchased my Lexus 2009 RX 350 USE from a Lexus Dealership with Mileage around 35,000/-. Three weeks back when my wife was Driving car to work in the Morning after 10 min of Drive VSC light came up, and after a mile or so Check Engine Light Came up. By the time she stopped the car to Safe place, Car interior area started smelling like burning rubber. She stopped the car and get it towed to nearest local mechanic place. I gave call to Nearest Lexus dealership and asked them about the Issue and if that would be covered by Lexus Warranty. To my total surprised, they declined covering under the warranty because Powertrain warranty expired on Bases of Time of First Sell (72 Months or 70000 Miles). They argued that even though car mileage is still under Warranty period, Since Warranty Expired Four months ago, they would not cover it. Dealership asked me to take this to Lexus Customer Care.I called Lexus customer care and explain them the potential safety concern about sudden water pump failure without any prior indication and asked them if they would cover due to the fact Mileage is still under the warranty limit and close proximity to warranty expiry time limit. I was asked to get vehicle to safe place and wait for Manager to get back to me within three days (By Friday, Incident happened on Tuesday). I waited for call from Lexus but no one returned call till Friday end of business day. I called back and asked to Speak to Manager over there. First of all when she (Vicky) came on call, she had no Idea what issue I was referring to, because she started talking about some Oil pipe failure etc. I had to repeat entire story again, which shows that they didnt even look at my case even though I was told that someone review it and get back to me.Talking to Manager (Vicky) I tried to explain since its part of powertrain and problem existed even Under the warranty period and I dont have direct control over its failure, its clearly indication of bad quality of engine and parts. The most important part is safety hazard of car catching fire due to overheating. Lexus Customer Service stick to the three months over the powertrain warranty and refuse to take any accountability. I was asked to tow the vehicle to nearest Lexus dealership which is 30 miles away from where car is stalled. I asked Lexus about some level of assurance on warranty coverage but they keep on saying We cannot give you assurance of any help at this point. They will talk to Lexus dealership and then only consider this for help. I called nearest Lexus Dealership and asked for the estimation of water pump replacement, they quote me $1200+. Considering towing expense (about $300), hefty dealership cost and absolutely no assurance from Lexus Customer Service, I decided to get water pump replaced at the Local mechanic place where car was pulled over for diagnostics. I paid complete expense out of pocket and filed reimbursement claim with all receipt and documentation. To my total surprise, they declined the claim based on the fact that it wasnt replaced at Lexus Dealership. I swallowed this poisons pill and decided to move on. After three days of driving around (all together less than 100 miles), check engine light came on with VSC light. Took it to same mechanic who replaced water pump and he said its nothing to do with water pump. Now engine is misfiring and heating up. Since it sounded like major problem, I called Lexus Customer service and ask for help in this. I was again asked for to take it to Dealership which I did. Primary diagnostic from Lexus dealership pointed to structural damage to Engine due to premature water pump failure and advise me to replace whole engine, which is huge expense. My bases for taking this to claim is : Water pump is part of Powertrain and has no influence by driving pattern. Failure of water pump at 61000 miles is very premature and indicate toward inherent problem with engine and related components. Safety Issue: There was no sign of water pump failure until last moment when it actually gave up all of sudden. There was very little time before Check Engine lights came on and further damage due to overheating. If it was ignored for couple of miles car would have caught into fire. Powertrain warranty is 70000 Miles or 72 Months, whereas cars mileage is 61000 and time since first usage is 75 months (just 3 months over the warranty). Considering close proximity to warranty expiration, Lexus should consider this for warranty extension. This Engine series is infamous for cooling system issues and several service bulletins have been issued regarding it. Several complaints have been filed about the similar problem, where water pump failure and subsequent engine damage.
Rain sensor for wipers does not work properly... Wipers are always wiping in dry conditions. The sensor is bad. The dealership cant change out as they say Lexus wont pay for part. I have a 2014 rX350 which Ive complained about this since the car was 6 weeks old (purchased end of Oct 2013). Now the car is 8 mos old and Ive brought in at least 3 times with this problem. Whats up with Lexus? Quality Performance of this feature is not satisfactory. Reliability of this feature is nil.
At the end of 2015 I started receiving offers from Lexus to turn in my current Lexus leased vehicle and lease a new one. The offer included waiving the disposition fee and the remaining lease payments. Since my lease was up in April 2016 and I was happy with my current CT200h I decided to go ahead and exercise the offer. I called and verified that I was eligible and I checked with the dealership when I made the trade-in. Both Lexus Financial and the Lexus dealership confirmed I was eligible. Two months later and I am still paying for the car I turned-in early in January, Lexus Financial cant find the money automatically withdrawn from my checking account, and has sent me to collections! Im supposed to pay double for a car I turned in under their offer? And the collections agent flat-out lied about the status of my account. Her response when I told her the money had been withdrawn? No, your bank took it back. So, here I am stuck with a car I now hate, a bill for six months of lease payments on a car that only had three more payments to go.
2017 RX450H been horrible since car- and horrible service dept- nothing like my 2007 Rx400H - vehicle quality and service is apparently no longer a priority to the Lexus company or their service departments. Windshield wiper sensor has never worked properly-- took them 2 yrs to figure out that sometimes the windshield protectant affects it... And then a month after this fix I have a interior leak coming from dash -- they claim from a spider??? Hmmm..? And spiders not covered under warranty... Im left with a stinky car and a $700. Fix. Gas door sometimes does not open. It takes 2 people to hold the button on pry the door open. They are in the process of rescale/fix... Really? And this is a very expensive luxury car??? LEXUS REMOTE START is a piece of junk and they will lie and tell you its the only way to start your car- $8.00 month. You canstart from the fob... Click Lock twice and in third-time long press lock button for more than 3 seconds. The indicators will start blinking and the SUV will start. Thats when I realized if they will lie about that they will lie about anything... No longer the company they had been. As soon as I pick up the pile of junk from the repair shop Im trading it in.
My teenage son was driving home late after work and the streets were empty. However there was one car that enticed my son to race. Little by little the cars exceeded the speed limit. The police told us the cars were going 85mph. My sons car hit a bump in the road, went airborne and when he came down, he didnt want to hit the other car that was racing him, so he overcorrected the other way, hit a curb and rolled the 2007 Lexus 350 6 times. The car was mangled. But my son was able to walk away from the accident with a small bruise on his shoulder where the seat belt was and a scratch on his shin. The police who saw the accident could not believe that my son crawled out of the lexus with out any injuries. A higher power is responsible along with the excellent frame of the lexus. The front drivers side and passenger side overheard and side frame was intact. The rest of the car looked like it went thru the blender. I wish I could post pictures. The lexus 350 has always been a smooth riding car. Even though it was a 2007 with 130,000 miles on it, it rode beautifully. Needless to say my sister who owned the 2007 lexus 350 decided to buy another lexus. With its safety features, there was no question as to what kind of car she would get. However since she had a choice my sister purchased an RX 350 SUV.
Probably this was my worst decision to buy a pre-owned 2014 Lexus IS 250 AWD back in 2016. I was certainly duped by looking at those J.D. Power ratings of dependability and reliability. Bought a pre-owned Lexus dealer certified 2014 IS 250 AWD and vehicle is in a very good in condition until a couple of days ago where AC was blowing hot air when I was doing a long trip with my family along with my newborn four and a half month old. The AC was working fine till we reach the destination and on our way back is where the AC did not work and we had to drive back home 140 miles under 95 degrees hot day with a four and a half month baby. I had shared my experience with my colleagues and they say I shouldve bought an extended warranty. Damn! Why in the world should I buy an extended warranty when I am paying so much for a car which is branded as reliable and dependable? This is nuts. So, I took my vehicle to the local Toyota dealer (obvious that the Lexus dealer is going to rip me off with their charges and that is totally fine because its LEXUS) and it costs me $700 to fix a sensor and redo the whole AC to be up and working. Very dissatisfied with Lexus and did not expected this kind of issue when the vehicle is still under 100,000 miles. Definitely, moving to a different brand in a very short time.
While driving my 12 year old daughter yesterday in my 2007 Lexus IS250 with a 105,000 miles my vehicles interior dash gauges and navigation starts flickering all crazy like it was possessed. Then the car looses power steering in a curve... As I try to slow down the power brake light comes on my daughter begins to cry.... This was not a good experience to be dealing with while driving your child. Thankfully I got the car pulled out of traffic and safely to a parking space... Thank God I wasnt on the interstate or the highway.....
I have been a customer of Lexus for 12 years, this is my last car with them. They are rude, non-accommodating, and flat out lie. Seems there is no point in having a recorded line because clearly if its not to their benefit it is non consequential. They call about important matters, from random ** phone numbers and NEVER leave a voicemail, and months later state we tried contacting you!!! I am a professional, I dont have time for mediocrity. I will never purchase another Lexus, nor will I ever again recommend them to my colleagues.
The dashboard of our 2007 Lexus 350 RX is cracking. Now chunks of the dashboard are following out. We contacted Lexus and were denied any help in fixing the dash even though they know that the materials used were defective. We are extremely disappointed.
I will never buy another Lexus or Toyota product again. The last Lexus ES350 I owned, is the last. I do not know how in the world Lexus could call a Lexus ES 350 “Bulletproof” when the heads blew on the one I had at 145,000 miles, not mention the failing computer, the alternator, the Vehicle Stability Control, and let’s not forget their melting dash, the allegedly lethal Takata airbag system, and years earlier that accelerator problem. I do not understand how anyone who had problems I had could possibly call it reliable. The whole experience was shameful. Given my experience with a Lexus, I now question Consumer Reports rating system for rating that company number one in reliability. I had American cars I got three to four times the life out of than this supposed “Bulletproof” reliable car. I am sticking Mercedes, Genesis, Honda, Mazda, Kia, or Hyundai. In my opinion there are better cars for the same or less money than the Lexus ES350 I owned.
All cars have problems, but before you purchase take a look at some of the issues in the BMW section... Valve guide seals ($4k), evaporator cores ($3k), coolant leaks, multiple window regulators, transmission issues, a/c issues, water pump issues, electrical issues and even engine bolts that break off! The list goes on and on. Just do a Google search. And these are with BMWs with 50,000 and 60,000 miles. I hope that my story will convince people to do their research and at least consider the Lexus brand.I bought my Lexus GS400 in 1999, and now at 16 years old and with 215,000 miles in my opinion it is one of the most reliable vehicles ever built. If you do some research, the 1UZ-FE V8 engine produced by Toyota in the late 90s (and used in the GS, LS, Tundra, LX, etc.) is one of the most bulletproof engines ever made. It will pretty much run forever. There are vehicles with this engine on the road today with 300,000, 400,000 even 500,000 miles and more. Even though it has evolved somewhat, it is still pretty much the same V8 motor used in Lexus vehicles today. That should tell you something. Now to my vehicle. In the first 5 years of ownership, I didnt have a single problem with my car. Not one. I replaced a battery, but that is something you would do with any car. In the 6th year, the throttle body assembly needed repair, but not a big deal. In the 10th year my starter contacts went bad (they go bad in all cars) and my alternator went out (again, expected for a 10 year old car!). Other than that its pretty much been regular maintenance: oil changes, tires, brakes. In 16 years I have never changed the spark plugs!! They are original. Ive driven up and down the east coast and this car has never left me stranded.Again, do your research and choose wisely. Today, KBB values my car at about $5-6k (it was $46k originally) but it doesnt matter because if someone wanted to purchase it today I would say its not for sale. I am keeping this one. Im sure Ill purchase a 2nd vehicle one day for fun - maybe a convertible - and guess what brand that will be? A Lexus of course! Even then Im not trading in my GS400 - this car is staying in my garage.
I just move from the mainland to Oahu. Did not think to call Lexus prior to moving in regards to my navigation system. When my car arrived I did call Lexus to find out how I could upgrade my system since it did not work here and the person I spoke with not only was just concerned about my issue, but probably told me there wasnt anything that Lexus could do about it. So now a blank box in the middle of my console and no help from Lexus to guide me to how I can fix my problem. I am so very very disappointed - not only that GPS does not work, but the lack of concern regarding my issue was absolutely appalling. Boo on Lexus customer service.
A little over a year ago we purchased a 1995 Lexus RX330. We purchased the vehicle as our first luxury vehicle with the hopes that the money would be well spent on luxury and quality of the vehicle. But after having the vehicle for almost 1 year we noticed that the dash started cracking along the front edge and then after picking my wife up from work one day a large chunk of the dash right above the radio broke off and fell to the floor. We immediately called Lexus and asked about having the dash repaired they informed us that there was a recall on the dash and to call Lexus about having the dash repaired. We called Lexus and notified them of the cracked Dash and they informed us that there is indeed a recall for the cracked Dash but they told us the date for the recall expired the day before we called. But that they would look into it and see if there was something they could do.We took the time to take the vehicle to the local Lexus dealer to have pictures taken. Have it inspected and sent to Lexus so that they can review it only for them to call us and tell us they were denying the repairs on the vehicle. So now we are stuck with a vehicle in which the resale value has plummeted due to the crack Dash. Im very disappointed with Lexus that they do not stand behind their vehicle or even offered to pay a portion of the dash to be repaired. If this is how Lexus treats their customers I no longer want this vehicle and will be trading it in as soon as possible. My wife and I were also considering buying another new Lexus because we did like the vehicle until we see that Lexus does not stand behind their vehicle quality at all!!!
I recently had the experience of being denied repairs of my Lexus (VIN 2T2BK1BA7AC015824). A known problem exists in the steering column of my particular model, a 2010-2011 Lexus RX350. So, this parts failing falls under the following: (1) a known problem by Lexus and (2) a very new car still under warranty. The only caveat to this situation is that I travel for work, and I spend some of my time in Minsk. I have a Lexus sedan here in the United States, and only just recently took the RX 350 to be my car in Minsk. There, I began to discover the steering noise issue. I understand that the standard procedure for Lexus would be to only cover warranty issues within the United States.I personally feel that this is a special case; I will have to have the vehicle repaired in Europe, so I am prepared to pay for the labor through a Lexus dealer, but I strongly feel that the $1700, plus part I had to order to replace an existing flaw in my Lexus, should not be paid by me. As mentioned, I purchased this Lexus in the United States, I still own another Lexus in the United States, and one day, I will return this Lexus to the United States. My request to have this part paid for has been denied. I find this very hard to believe. The trend with many large companies is a disregard towards customer service that will build brand loyalty. I did not think Lexus was one of these companies, and I am deeply disappointed. It has been my understanding that Lexus leads the industry in retaining the highest percentage of vehicle owners. Neal Oddes, director of product research at J.D. Power and Associates said that, By satisfying its customers on many different levels, Lexus consistently enjoys high-retention rates and “customer retention is extremely valuable in the auto industry because it costs manufacturers less to keep existing customers than to attract new ones, and strong retention fosters favorable word of mouth. Why now would Lexus want to risk its word of mouth reputation in my case? I have a friend who has been at war with GM over the poorest of customer relations efforts and vehicle issues; I personally found it comforting in owning a Lexus. I do not have to deal with such customer disregard, and would readily make this known. Now, I no longer have comfort in owning a Lexus. Where is the world class customer service that creates retention? Maybe you should all take a moment and read the following article on customer service. I understand that this issue is falling under what might be considered special circumstances; however, I had believed Lexus would treat me as a loyal customer, not as an invaluable statistic. This is all very unfortunate, and on principle alone, I am not going to stop pursuing a resolve to this situation. I know there has to be someone in the Lexus organization who cares enough to spend $1700 of Lexus money in order to preserve a reputation that has likely taken years and billions of dollars to build.A colleague of mine recently shared a negative experience he had with a large Canadian airline. He had purchased a ticket to return home last year for the Christmas holiday but was unable to do so because of medical reasons. It was his understanding that the value of the ticket would be honored for one year from the scheduled date of travel. However, the airlines policy was actually to credit the value of the ticket for one year from the purchase date. This information wasnt printed on his ticket, and when he contacted the airline, he spoke with four members of its customer service department, including a senior manager, and received four different explanations of the airlines policy and his possible remedies.During a time following the horrific events of September 2001, my colleague thought this airline, now more than ever (especially after requesting government relief due to lost revenue), would bend over backward to satisfy him, and keep him as a regular customer. Airlines were slashing fares as much as 50 percent to entice fearful passengers to once again take to the skies. He was utterly shocked and appalled. However, he experienced the lengths to which this airline went in the opposite direction. Each of the four representatives gave four greatly varied definitions of the airlines refund and rescheduling policy. Each apologized for his inconvenience yet repeatedly told him what they could not - and would not - do for him. In the short term, the immediate savings by the airline were $400, the value of the unused ticket. The net loss over the long term, however, will be much, much greater. Not only will he and his family never use this airline (they spend about $3,000 annually) they are so furious that theyve told many friends about this experience. Not surprisingly, everyone theyve told has been shocked and appalled, also, saying they, too, will never fly with this carrier in the future.Understanding that the customer is the source of a companys revenue, it logically follows that every customer must be made as happy as possible, especially so during an industry-wide crisis of historic magnitude. Seeing as its not the owner of a company that routinely interacts with customers, but rather the sales staff, operators, customer service representatives and et cetera have direct contact. It must be a clearly understood rule that the customer must always feel right. The customer has to be treated in a way that sets a company apart from competitors. If a company successfully merges this philosophy with a superior product or service, it can earn customer loyalty and in turn, become profitable. Case in point: Nordstrom. A Nordstrom customers experience provides a perfect counter to the aforementioned airlines woeful customer service practices. For years, the story has circulated about a man who had returned tires to a Nordstrom store, and it provides an excellent example of how to exercise a customer-first approach to business. The story is true. Nordstrom built a store in Alaska at a location that had previously included a tire store. A man, failing to realize the tire store no longer existed, brought car tires into Nordstrom, and asked for a refund. Despite the companys position as a clothier (seemingly everyone knows the only rubber Nordstroms sells is on the bottom of sneakers), the sales associate nonetheless issued some type of refund or store credit, thus satisfying the customer. When people talk about this story, many cant remember if it was a man or a woman, a young or old person, but they always remember that it was Nordstrom who put its customer first.Although this example is extreme, and I dont suggest that a company make a habit of issuing refunds, for merchandise it doesnt sell, the underlying principle stands: For long-term prosperity and patron loyalty, a customer must always feel right, even when shes wrong. Even if a company such as the airline in question doesnt want to adhere to this same level of customer service, or more likely, doesnt believe it can afford to, the only question I would ask its top brass is, Can you afford not to? Word of mouth is by far the single most important marketing vehicle a company can hope for. Think of what the word of the mouth may do for this airlines long-term outlook. Not only has the airline lost loyal customers and likely many more once this story spreads, but more importantly, the employees who initially offered the incorrect information to a loyal customer and then blamed the customer himself for acting on the information he received, are still employed. How much more inaccurate information these employees are going to disperse, and what will be the resulting net loss?Follow Nordstroms lead, not the woeful path cut by the airline. Before the next customer crisis arises at your company, I urge you to ask yourself the following questions, so you are prepared to handle the situation appropriately: How does your company resolve customer disputes, concerns, questions or problems? Do your people automatically go on the defensive, citing policies, procedures and counting warranty periods to the day? Is there a mission statement or customer policy in place that governs all aspects of customer service, including conflict resolution? You cant put the onus on your customers to get it right every time. Too many companies focus on the reasons why they cant help a customer, rather than offering solutions to help fix his problem. The reality is, problems will arise. The problems are not the challenge. The challenge is responding to these problems effectively; these responses help determine a companys ultimate success or failure.
I purchased a 2007 470LX in excellent condition. When it was delivered, the rear view mirror was hanging down and the car smelled as if it had been in a flood (car supposedly one-car, Lexus certified pre-owned). The seat belts are water-stained. There is rust on the chrome or metal of the seat belts.Upon delivery, I expressed my dissatisfaction and concern about it being water damaged, but got no satisfactory explanation. I might add that I paid a premium because it was a limited edition with only 32,000 miles. The dealership is not accepting or acknowledging that anything is not as advertised or described to me. My dealership in Dallas (Sewell) had been great, and I have already paid $250 additional to try to get the smell out of the car. Do I have any legal rights, or how can I make Scanlon Lexus respond?
I have Lexus ES350. I left the car in the lot for 3 months came back. Check engine and vsc lights are on, and dealer says that the engine need to be replaced, do not know what to do at this point.
My local Lexus of Kendall (FL) dealer nor Lexus corporate have resolved a problem with my 2013 ES 300h after many attempts. Lexus of Kendall dealer said if I maintain my car with them they will fight for me should there be any problem with the manufacturer in the future, so I did. Well, I reported a defect in the backseat leather shortly after my 25k maintenance appointment November 2016 while my car was under warranty. The backseat perforated leather dried and shrunk causing tension on the rest of the seat. It feels very rough and hard to the touch. The manager at the dealer took photographs, and said he will contact the manufacturer. After several months of leaving messages with Lexus of Kendall operator and voicemails I was told the manager no longer works there, and another manager (Bernardo) took over his work. I came in person to meet with new manager March 2017, by which point the problem area became larger, and same problem started to happen on the other side. He took more photos, said its not a Lexus defect because on one side it is perfect circle. I contacted corporate, submitted photos, and they asked Bernardo to weigh in. He said I caused the damage but could not explain how, and if there was a defect in the leather he would not be able to tell unless the leather was taken off and he can examine the back side of it. Corporate said I will need an expert in leather to run tests and determine the cause. I have never heard of such a response for warranty coverage. They denied to fix my car while under the warranty. I contacted the 3rd party dispute resolution address, provided by Lexus, several times with no reply.I purchased the car used with 6k miles in 2013 in perfect condition. Since then I rarely used or had passengers in the backseat. When I did have passengers the trips were short, just a few blocks in the city, and my passengers are slim. My car is stored under a carport, in a garage when I am at work, and my windows are tinted so the inside temperature does not get hot often. I have had others cars such as Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Honda over 100k miles and much older that did not have such quality issues even with daily use. My Lexus has premium leather with Luxury package, it should withstand at minimum light use. The problem from initial report to current has grown in size, and continues to grow. Terrible dealer customer service and misinformation, terrible experience with corporate. First and last Lexus. Photos from March 2017 and Feb 2019 are attached.
Purchased a NEW GX460 from a local dealership. Purchased the vehicle based on the companys perceived quality and willingness to stand behind their product. After 2-3 months of purchasing the truck the leather seats were bulging and buckling significantly. Dealership acknowledged the problem and replaced the leather on the rear seats. One month later, the front seats are now worse than the back seats. Both the dealership and Lexus Company will not stand behind product. In fact, the dealership suggested that this is a common issue and sent me pictures of other new trucks with the same problem. Wish I would have known that before purchasing the $50K+ vehicle. This is the third and last Lexus that I will ever purchase or recommend.
Lexus has different types of cars and models. They each have certain aspects that make them differ from other models. The range of prices between models is reasonable. My car is a fresh new model and it does not look like older models. Its spacious inside the car and everything is easily accessible. Their buttons are not too complex. Theres not much upgrade car room but buttons are easy. It has camera bluetooth and wifi calling phone setting but nothing much more. The space is big but the seats are not comfortable. Its hard leather and it is not cushioned much.
I recently purchased my 2019 GX 460 Lexus from Lexus of Pembroke Pines. I have returned it twice, with complaints that the Navigation is not working correctly. Each time I take it back they insist that It is functioning like the other vehicles that they have in stock. Which is unacceptable. The Navigation system gives the wrong directions. For example, If I am traveling and the expressway, it doesnt recognize that I am on the expressway and tells me that the expressway is approaching on the left, then 1 mile later, it will say the expressway is approaching in the right; when in fact, I am traveling on the expressway.Yesterday, it gave me the wrong directions and I ended up under a bridge, completely lost. This is very frustrating and is a safety concern. I have been advised by an attorney to take the vehicle back once more, and if the problem is not resolved, I will be forced to take legal action. I am certain that there are numerous consumers there with the same complaint.
I purchased a 2018 Lexus in December and was told by the dealer that it came with Lexus Enform which came with a booklet of complementary services. I signed up for Lexus Enform along with the complimentary trial of Sirius radio and WiFi. The WiFi subscription is offered through Verizon wireless as mentioned on both Lexus Enform and Verizon’s website. The free trial online sign up instructions on Verizon’s website did work and I then called the number listed on their website which is Lexus Enform who then routed me to Verizon for sign up. I spoke with a sales member at Verizon who stated he was signing me up for the free WiFi trial offered by Lexus Enform. After signing up in January I never received a bill or email from Verizon but was shocked when I received a collection notice from Verizon in April, who claimed to have billed me for three months of service. I called everyone, the dealer, Lexus Enform and Verizon to ask why was I billed for a complimentary service and how they will fix the problem. They all blamed each other for the issue and have not received a solution. Lexus Enform confirmed that the service is complimentary for a year but is unable to fix the Verizon issue even though it states on the website the service is provided by Verizon. Verizon confirmed that I was signed up incorrectly for the complimentary service and refused to help me. I’m currently waiting for a call from Lexus Enform customer care for a response.
Lexus has all types of vehicles from SUV to sedans. They also have every color and all the vehicles are beautiful. Most of the vehicles come fully equipped with power steering, air condition, power brakes and everything you could every want in a vehicle. All of their vehicles come with a five star rating and all of the vehicles come with airbags that are strategically placed in the vehicle for your protection and your passengers protection. The appearance of the vehicle is beautiful. It looks very sporty and fashionable and very expensive. You have the option to put in a roof rack and a towing device into the rear of the vehicle. You can upgrade from a four cylinder engine to a six cylinder or even an eight cylinder. Also, the vehicle has enough room for 4 passengers. The passenger each will have a lot of leg room and space to move around. It even has enough space to put your grocery and packages after shopping.
We took the car to the local dealership in January, August and October asking for them to identify and repair the brake issue. Each time, the dealership told us that they could not find any problems with our brakes without even trying some random things to see if this would fix the issues. Lexus Corporate sent out an inspector to exam our car, but couldnt find anything. Lexus will not help us.On Sunday, November 17th, we were driving back in heavy traffic. The traffic came to a quick stop and my husband again had the same brake issue. Fortunately, he was able to swerve to the shoulder to miss the car in front of him. We are beyond frustrated, as the next time the result could be an accident resulting in an injury or worse. The dealer told us we have exhausted our options with them. Now we have a vehicle which is very scary to drive – especially in heavy traffic or anytime there could be an unforeseen quick stop. We have a very unsafe vehicle that Lexus has turned us away saying they have no more options. However, they didnt even try blowing out the brake lines, adjusting the brakes, reprogramming the ABS - nothing. At this point, I would never buy another Lexus. Good luck if you have any issues.
I loved my Lex. It never let me down. There are lots of options with this brand of car from family cars to SUVs. Its very reliable and trustworthy. I know when I put my grandkids in my car, they are safe. Lexus offers sleek aerodynamic designs. A spacious comfortable interior is important to me, and Ive always had the passenger and trunk space I need when traveling. I bought my car used, so Im not sure about the upgrade and personalization options available through Lexus. I do have friends whove purchased new however, and they never had any complaints. My Lexus has a very spacious interior. I never have any problem taking my grandkids and all of their necessities in my car. Everything fits perfectly with room to spare.
Dashboard cracked right after Lexus warranty ran out and they will not replace. It’s ghastly looking and scary dangerous, but they don’t care. I have sent them photos and all they do is continue tell me that case manager said we were not eligible. It’s our 5th Lexus and we cannot believe they are not replacing. Worst customer service ever. There was a huge class action case that they never sent us a letter about.
In March 2016 I had a blowout on my way to Florida with my 2010 Lexus. A near tragedy since I had to pull off onto a very narrow shoulder of the road with semis passing at 70 miles per hours. Two months later my tire dealer told me two my tires Bridgestone Turanza with less than 20,000 were in need of replacement. When I purchased this certified pre-owned Lexus from Lexus of Englewood NJ, I was informed that all 5 tires were new. In 35 years I have not had tires that have worn out in less than 35-40,000 miles. As a result I contacted the manager of pre-owned sales at Lexus of Englewood and told him I did not believe the tires had been replaced at the time of my purchase of the vehicle. He promised to look into the matter and get back to me. That was in May 2016. I have heard nothing. I next wrote to Lexus Customer Service with the same complaint in June 2016 but have heard nothing from them. Finally, I wrote to Jeff Bracken, Group Vice President and General Manager of the Lexus Division, with the same complaint and requested the courtesy of a reply. That was in late June and I have received no response.
I am on my third IS Model Lexus and like the product. Unfortunately I have found my new 2016 IS 300 AWD stalls or feels like fuel starvation when I sometimes go to make a turn either right or left at low speeds or intersections. It becomes very concerning when you are turning into traffic or across traffic and it feels like you will not make it across the intersections. The yellow flashing engine light comes on but I have notified the dealership 3 times (at Service Intervals) and no fault can be found. Has anyone else experienced similar challenges with their Lexus IS 300 AWD too?
I bought a 2013 Lexus Rex 250 on August 24, 2012. The front right door does not close solidly; it makes a whoosh. I have pointed this at least 5 times. They say noted and claim it should be that way. I have closed one other prison door and it sounds solid.
Radio panel where you see radio stations and the camera for backing up just continuously flickers and strobes. Sometimes it stays clear of 5 minutes then for no reason starts flicker again. Very distracting and dangerous when driving especially at night. No response from Lexus and dealers claim no knowledge but happy to sell me a new car. Issue is well tracked on the internet. Not the brand it used to be. Never again.
Lexus is aware of frequent occurrences with RX 330 back door 1/4 window molding falling off. It happens for no other reason other than poor design. I had many vehicles in my life, but regardless of age of those vehicles, did not had a case of loosing not damaged body parts. When this happened to my Lexus RX 330, I vent to my Lexus dealership (where I purchased new this vehicle) and learned that Lexus will cover the window but not the labor for replacement as the vehicle is not under warranty. The tiny shiny molding which was not attached in proper way is not made as a spare part- the whole window has to be replaced???I did call the Lexus satisfaction line and a Case manager called me the next day to tell me the same thing - my vehicles body part falling off is not covered under warranty. I asked her what is the next that I will loose while driving. And I thought the LEXUS makes high quality vehicles and will be doing right thing to maintain its reputation. I have two Lexus vehicles, which I purchased new, but after this I dont think I will continue to be their customer.
Do not bring your car tiki the Lexus of North Miami for service! Brought my car in to have the recalled dashboard replaced. When I picked my car up, while driving home, which is about 10-15 minutes away, I noticed my brake light was on and before I could get home my car cut off and would not start. I immediately called Lexus of North Miami and was told by the service advisor that they did nothing wrong and I would have to bring my car back to the shop. I told him how and that my battery was dead, car wont stay started. I asked if he could call roadside service to come and get my car. It didnt seem to matter to him as he said no and Id we find that the alternator and battery is dead, you will have to pay. I was in shock and disbelief bc I had just left there no more than 15 minutes ago.But what was more shocking was when I called back to speak with the Manager over Service, he had the same reaction, and seemed uninterested in the fact that I had just left the dealer and now my car wont start. Now Im upset and was in disbelief and highly disappointed that both service advisor and Manager of Service did not try to solve the problem and did not send roadside assistance to pick up my car. They showed no concern in the fact that my car was not working! And to make things worse, they said, When you bring your car in and were find its the alternator or the battery, you have to pay for it, were not liable. Oh my, could not believe this! This is suppose to be a upscale business that specializes in satisfying their customers. Well not only was I not satisfied, but I felt totally helpless. I will never bring my car back to the Lexus of North Miami ever again! Horrible customer satisfaction service!
We bought this RX 330 new in 2004. It has not been to the Dealer once. Not for maintenance, not for tires, not for the maintenance light, which is on and has been for 5 years. I read the complaints on here and amazed at the lack of common sense. Do you people not understand that most dealers are a rip-off ? That they want to take advantage of people that lack common sense or the basic understand of a vehicle. Our Lexus runs fine. I did the brakes and the total cost for it twice now was about $300.00. No one should charge you more than $700.00 for brakes and that would be with new parts all around (pads, and rotors). Therein lies another one of the manipulated products. Rotors, which are the big metal round part are now made thinner so they dont last as long. Also, when they give you a quote for work. Go to the local auto parts store and compare the product (replacement parts) cost. Yes, there should be a difference as if you go to the dealer, they sell you (OEM - Original Manufacturer parts). Example: A rotor at the auto parts store would cost $60, tops at the dealer should have $120.00. Everyone really does need to find a good mechanic in your area. Watch them too as one in every 4 are the same as a dealer. There to take your money... Sad but true. $11,000.00 in maintenance. That is a joke at best. I do feel sorry for most, especially the women as they should not have to deal with these problems. So many people these days are not normal and helpful. It is about the buck they make on the sale or the repair. They are basically lacking decency.I also want to let you know. If you buy a car with a touch screen, and all the latest gadgets, expect to be taken for a ride. They figure you are rich and have money to spare. Do you really need all those things, or is it a status symbol for you to tell your friends about. A GPS? How about A map and you actually take the time to learn your surroundings. The Super Rich are manipulating all of us into becoming their pawns for pay. Everything you do will require their assistance. Take a step back. Remember, they are out to get your money. Ask to see what is wrong, also insist on getting the old parts. Even if you just take them now and throw them in the garbage.
Lexus provides the best dealership car care. The best service and quality personnel. I have had my SUV for sixteen years with a minimum of repairs. The Lexus brand is a dependable luxury, safe car no matter what model you choose.
Earlier this year I noticed that my dashboard was sticky to the touch (melting) and the control buttons on my steering wheel were peeling off. After a quick Google search I found a recall on the 2007-2008 Lexus 350 dash and thousands experiencing the issue with peeling controls. When I brought my car in, the dealer said the dashboard recall had just expired and Id need to get approval to fix it along with the peeling controls. Lexus corporate REFUSED to fix their known manufacture errors. Funny, I was planning on buying another Lexus, but Ill spend my hard earned $ with a brand who truly values customers and fixes issues when they are at fault. Lexus claim to quality is bogus!
I own a 2012 Lexus CT 200h. Absolutely love my car. 2 1/2 weeks I was in a car accident that was not my fault. My car went to Lexus of the quad cities to get an estimate. While in for getting the door fixed rust was noticed on both of the front door seams. We questioned it and had to get in contact with Lexus. My husband talked to Shawn directly at Lexus. They sent someone out to look at my car. Since my car has rust on the seams they will not cover it, as it is not rusted through. Lexus warranty says corrosion or perforation for 6 years unlimited miles. Since the door was already being painted it would not cost anymore to fix the seam under the door. Shawn told my husband nothing he could do about it and no one else he could speak to. I dont know about you but who wants to spend $40,000 on car that is only 4 years old and its rusted. I guess I thought buying a Lexus was not buying a Ford Focus, even though I owned a Ford Focus 10 years ago and it never rusted. Customer service not good, neither is warranty.
VIOLENT SHUDDER/SHAKING OF THE ENGINE. When the CT200H is stationary or in motion the engine periodically shakes violently sometimes up to 30 seconds then it goes away. It happened on cold or hot starts. The EGR has been cleaned from carbon build up, has new spark plugs and coils are good. I have lately been noticing coolant loss. NUMEROUS PRIUS AND LEXUS OWNERS HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. Check engine light. Finally came on with code P0301 cylinder 1 misfire.Called corporate and I was assigned a case manager. Well they were no help. They basically said you dont have warranty on the vehicle so we cant help! Dealer quoted approximately 4500.00 for a blown head gasket (not sure how that happened), a bad intake manifold, and ECU needs to be reflashed. Take into consideration that this vehicle has never been abused, I use it as my commuter vehicle. Also there are many people that have had the same issue with the CT200H and the Prius (both basically have the same engine/components). Anyway Im on the same boat with others on here, I will never buy another Toyota/Lexus. Will move into better vehicles. I highly suggest doing research before investing in a glorified shiny **. Happy holidays. ;)
The IS 250 is a great ride that drives well making even those who dont love driving enjoy it. I love the way this car corners. We test drove the gs and es models as well, but they really felt too sedan for me. The SUV model rs was a disappointment altogether. The SUV has a nice passenger capacity. We however were looking for a sportier vehicle that still had room for a family of four. The IS model has just that. However, our two teens dont feel there is enough legroom in the back for them. But Im in love with my car. The smallest interior details really set this luxury line apart from others. The wood used is gorgeous and held up well. These details really add to the cars comfort. I also like the upgrade rims. They are stunning and add just the right amount of bling and luxe to the car. Other upgrades include navigation which we passed on.
I looked through all the models Lexus offered and they have a model for everyone. Soccer mom, cowboy, surfer, or banker. That tells you that Lexus pays attention. I get enjoyment out of my driving experience. The Lexus brand allows you to personalize your car to a great degree. I was able to get all of the features I desired and it was still reasonably priced. People ask me constantly about the features and I tell them you can get it how you like it. When you see my Lexus you know that its a Lexus. From its beautiful exterior lines to its supple leather interior its just a beautiful machine. It has a powerful reliable engine, and wonderful safety features. My Lexus IS very roomy as Im six foot one inches tall and I sit comfortably with three other passengers with plenty of room for more people. I also have plenty of trunk space.
Great handling car. All the amenities you could ask for, super good visibility. Handles like a dream. The leather is like butter. Sun/moon roof. Sharp looking on the road and gets reasonable gas mileage for a vehicle of its type.
I am an owner of this model mentioned in title and did not know what I was getting myself into when purchasing this vehicle. Should have done further researches. Anyway, we learned from mistake. This model is well known for his faulty ABS actuator and Lexus would not want to replace it saying that you are out of the warranty time frame of 5 months (Despite the very low mileage that you have), when they know for sure the car was made with a faulty part (which is why they extended the warranty on it in the first place). That is very low coming from Lexus. They are supposed to be one of the world class customer service especially considering the price of their product. Like I said, Ive learned my lesson. Last Lexus car here.
My LS460 has best radio Lexus offers (Levinson) and at 67000 miles the radio amp failed and I have had no radio since. My car is always been maintained and in fact looks like a new car. I went to the dealership in Manchester who looked at the amp and said he saw no reason for the failure, the area was clean and dry. He suggested I call Lexus Consumer Relations. I did as they suggested and spoke with a Colleen. She said I needed to return to the dealership for a formal inspection to be put in writing. I said, If I do return and the report reflects the same thing my first visit did will you fix my radio amp? She said she could not make any promises… I said, Then why am I jumping through these hoops? She said it was required by Lexus. I returned as Colleen asked and received the same results: there was no reason, obvious reason for the failure. The information was relayed to Colleen and weeks later she called me and said Lexus was unable to offer any help... offer assistance. SO BASICALLY SHE WASTED MY TIME! To own an $80,000.00 car with only 67000 mile and no radio is crazy. Ive been driving around with a boom box on the passenger seat. I AM VERY UNHAPPY AND WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER LEXUS IF THIS IS HOW THEY ARE MAKING THEM TODAY.
We have owned three Lexus products over the years they have been in the US. The cars are great but the corporate culture has deteriorated greatly. The present CEO and the person in charge of Customer service are not at all qualified for their jobs and they have given Lexus a bad name for customer service. The corporate offices have literally no control over the dealers if there are issues, selling cars is all that matters, not customer service. If you have an issue that the dealer refuses to take care of, the infrastructure Lexus created at corporate is so pathetic you will only be frustrated trying to get any closure.
Things keep falling apart. The window is making a noise, the armrests have no leather on them... Its all flaked off. And now the TRANSMISSION. I was told by multiple people that it would easily go to over 200K miles... Its falling apart at 150,0000. LEXUS is only a luxury model because of its PRICE!!! Resell value sucks too!
Tried Mercedes, drove him to 4 years, a decent car. BUT, after Lexus, I realized that she excels. Good streamlined, pleasant to look at, beautiful design, high-quality assembly. Also made of solid metal, in a collision it will not crumble. It contains more than 5-6 people, places inside enough, but still, for me, his wife and child, this is the best option. The trunk is large, fit a lot of things, a spacious. I recommend to everyone. I am confident in this brand.
My wife’s 2016 Lexus ES350 was brought in for an oil change. They told her the car needed new tires. It only has 17k miles on it, while the tires are rated for 50k. Lexus will not cover it under warranty. I’ve owned Mercedes, Cadillac, Infinity, BMW and Porsche and have never had this experience ever. This will be the last Lexus I ever purchase/lease!
I am having serious quality issues with my 2005 RX330 SUV. Some of the key problems include the following: 1. The water pump failed at only 65K miles and timing belt and water pump were replaced ($1100+). I drove an Acura for 110K miles without changing either! 2. The headlights cases have been leaking, poor design. 3. Paints are coming out of the door handles. 4. Fused light bulbs and discolored mirrors.5. Low quality rotors and break pads (replacement cost $1000+).I called Lexus HQ, but they will not help or take any responsibility for the engine (water pump issue). They asked me to go to the dealership. So the business model is, Lexus sells you a lemon for a high price and for 5-10 years, you keep going to their dealership and pay to replace low quality parts and labor. So, if you are planning to buy a Lexus next time, think again as I wont do this again!
I purchased my car new in 2007. Its a white Lexus GS350. I cant justify buying a NEW car because Ive never had any trouble with my car and it purrs like a kitten, very quiet outside and inside. I do bring my car in for its regular maintenance check ups and oil change services. On top of the superior maintenance; each trip includes customer care services when I bring my car in for services. And, provides condiments, beverages, magazine/newspapers, TV and wifi services extraordinaire! The car itself has great pick up energy. I need to have this capability if Im heading onto a steady stream of traffic. Push the pedal to the metal and you will be impressed. Also, I receive lots of compliments about how smooth the car ride is. People are very complimentary providing positive comments about my car; ride, comfort, Looks like new comments. Even though my car is a pure white, I have on a few (almost unnoticeable) pinpoint chips from roadway sand, rocks, etc. You probably wouldnt notice it but I would. To me, this means the car has an excellent original paint job. LOVE MY LEXUS! Okay, my only complaint and its a big one for me, the front wheel hub caps ALWAYS turn a nasty dirty look 2 days after its been washed and dried. Drives me crazy!!! Am told that its normal and nothing can be done. Hmmm? Seems like with technology, there would be such a fairly easy solution. Lexus... need to work on this!!!
Lexus handles great on the road with a very smooth ride, comfortable seats and sound system. It also has great gas mileage and the tires has a very nice grip to them. It has satellite radio built inside and has the best leather seats in its class. Its a must have to me to have leather seats. You can make it fit your personality and customize it yourself. It has great engine, great sunroof and nice steering. If you like the best then youre going to love this car I promise. I am satisfied but it could be better. All the people who rides with me are very, very, very happy, love this car and love its nice design.
I bought 2006 RX 330. The car has 49K miles. The dashboard cracked at several areas. Contact Lexus. They told me the warranty is done and there is nothing they can do.
I am the not so proud owner of a 2009 Lexus IS250. My question is why can NO ONE work on this Navigation System but Lexus? Monopoly much? My dash board and all of the material on the doors and everywhere isnt cracking, I can rub it off with one finger. Its melting. You cant clean it because anything you use just sticks to it and it looks horrible. To go along with this my water pump cracked overheated my car and destroyed my electrical system to include the alternator, battery, navigation system, and all of this has been replaced but my navigation system because Im now flat broke and no one seems to be able to figure out how to fix it other than with another $1500 Computer from Lexus because that is the only place you can buy them. And if you do find one aftermarket, no one will touch it. My heat is stuck on and has been since winter. Its so stupid Im ready to drive this car off a cliff! Recall the water heater!
There was a recall on my Lexus SUV. I was in the hospital when it came out and missed it. Shortly after expiration date I called Lexus and they told me to bring car to the dealer. The dealer found the problem and was happy to fix it. When they reached out for approval at corporate the dealer was told that Lexus would not approve. I wrote the CEO of Lexus USA explaining the problem and challenge due to medical issues. The CEO nor anyone ever had the courtesy to respond to my letter. The problem with the Lexus is only getting worse. This is not a company that cares about the customer.
The Lexus cars until now, have been classic and elegant looking. I dont like the new Lexus cars or SUVs. They ruined the styling. First they put a silly Bow tie in front?? Then the sides look dented in, more or less caved in. My old 2000 Lexus SUV has been admired for years. I get many compliments and today it looks brand new. My dealer and at gas stations, malls everywhere, I drive it, I have had many offers to sell my car. But it rides well, very comfortable and from the drivers seat I can see the road immediately in front of me, there is no huge hood to try and look over and beyond to see the road. The Bose radio/Multidisc CD player sound fabulous and I do not have to reload my CDs each time I want to hear a new artist, I can chose from 5 disks within the dash. Wish they would listen to drivers as to styling and comfort and convenience. Myself, as a retired designer, they went overboard and tried to jazz the car up too much. No need just give the new owners less gadgets (to go wrong) to keep the total car price more reasonable. If they fix it and go back to a classic look, I would buy a new Lexus in a heartbeat. And dealer (in RI) is very reputable and helpful anytime I needed anything, even my oil changes. They are always there to help whatever my needs since 2000 to today 2018. That is a bonus...
Lexus is not a very popular car brand because it is expensive and very innovative, but this is why this type of car will last a long time. Since it is a luxurious car, it looks very nice outside and inside. It has leather seats inside and the outside is painted black, making it seem more powerful and beautiful. Upgrading this type of car can usually be expensive, as the car itself is expensive. However, if you have the money to buy the car in the first place, then you should not have any problems upgrading it if needed. Since my car is not large, the passenger capacity is limited. However, all of the passengers that have ridden in my car were quite satisfied, so I would recommend the car when it comes to passenger capacity.
My Lexus RX 450h is a 2010 model and now has over 263000 miles and is still going strong. I live in the Midwest and do have the opportunity to keep the car in a garage but it still looks great. Mileage has run 24 to 30 mpg depending on the season and my lead foot. I often refer to it as the most comfortable room in my house.
My 2008 Lexus Rx-350, the dashboard were cracking and its just only 40,000 miles. And also some of the cosmetic area are started chipping like two side mirror was cracking (clear coated paint) and also the tail back handle has already chipping (clear coat paint) and every time I car wash, the sunroof has also leaking water. But the engine performance were like top of the line. (Acceleration, steering easy to handle - were excellent.)
I was driving my 2007 Lexus RX 400h when I turned into the parking lot (from a stopped position) and proceeded at very slow speed when I inadvertently bumped the curb, upon entering the parking lot the Power Steering Light came on and no longer able to steer the car. I had to get towed all the way back to home. There wasnt even a scratch on the car and yet the entire safe steering ability was rendered inoperable. I have been looking online and I see that there are many other victims of what seems to me to be a major design flaw and a terribly unsafe condition. I brought it to the attention of Lexus and they decline to fix it or help address this problem in anyway and I am stuck with an $1100.00. It seems to me you would have a reasonable expectation of a solid construction in an SUV and not something that is so precariously frail.
I own a 2007 Lexus RX350 that was purchased in 2008. It has been a very reliable car with few mechanical issues over the last 11 years. In the last year, my dashboard began to crack and now is split in several places. I contacted my Lexus dealer who negated to even inform me there was a national recall on the dash itself. I had taken my vehicle in for routine service during that recall envelope and not one thing was mentioned! Park Place Lexus/DFW area practically blew off my concerns off and told me to call the Lexus 800 number. I was subsequently told the recall period had expired and their attitude stemmed around them informing me it was MY responsibility to check for recalls. What??? Now my paint is fading/peeling even though my car is perpetually garaged and I work overseas 18 days/month. It only has 67k miles! I really loved my Lexus but my experience with my dealer and Lexus HQ has all but convinced me its time to go with another brand. Lexus... youve lost my business!!! Buyers... Consider yourself warned!
In trying to use destination assist, I find the wait time to speak to an agent is very unacceptable. I have waited on more than one occasion in excess of 5 minutes. It never use to be this way, and the problem seems to be getting worse. It seems as though there arent enough people, and what can be more appalling than that. Spend the money and get us the service.
I leased a new 2014 Lexus IS 250 in July of this year. On December 2, I was driving in a Walgreens parking lot at less than 5 mph, when I turned the wheel to enter a parking space. The car accelerated, the brake didnt work and the car jumped into a planted median full of bushes, trees, and narrowly missed a phone pole by less than 1/2 foot. Only the mud in the median stopped the car. Naturally, I called Lexus and a tow truck was sent. Since that time, the Lexus dealership, JM Lexus, has had that car, inspecting it until December 10, when they called stating that there is nothing wrong with the car and that I should come and pick it up. Absolutely no information was given to me about test results, incorrect information was given to me about anticipated contact dates by Lexus corporate, and even management at the dealership appears to want to avoid any further discussions. In my conversations with Lexus corporate, they have provided minimal information and said the issue has been turned over to legal. In the meantime, I am driving a car that I am petrified to drive. It appears that it will take a product liability lawyer to intervene on my behalf.
Put in gas, change oil, just drive and enjoy. This is my fourth Lexus and I found no fault with any of them. I would not consider any other brand for my personal use. The only other cars I own are also Toyota products.
We have used Lexus cars and RX crossover and prefer the cars as there is a blind spot in the crossover and not a good ride as the cars are easier to handle and park. I like the look of cars better but bought the crossover as thought we would have more storage room but not much difference so a bit disappointed in that. We didnt realize that we didnt have the built in navigation system when we bought the vehicle but we do like the backup notification that you can see behind you until it bings. The RX holds five quite comfortably and a little more roomy than a car and like the bucket seats so convenient when we have other to drive somewhere.
