We just leased RX 350. We spoke to the dealer for a long time and agreed on payment $336.00. Then we waited for 3 1/2 hours. I was getting many phone calls from work while waiting for the paperwork to be completed. Finally, I signed the deal but did not have the chance to see the car (in spite of waiting for 3 1/2 hours.) My wife spent additional hour signing. When we came home and starting reading the fine print the payment was $385.00. Also, I did not like to color of the seats. We tried to return the car but the manager refused and told us to find a lawyer. Great!

The car I bought is very up to date with technology. Its a very good running car. Best decision I have ever made. Has satellite radio, GPS, charger outlets, lots of space and comfy seats, TV hookups, lots of lights inside, plenty of trunk space, good interior, all electric. They give you the option to personalize the car how ever you want in whatever way you choose. We didnt personalize though and just got it the way it came. The passenger capacity is really good for smaller families with only a couple of kids. I wouldnt recommend this car for big families, everybody needs to be comfortable.

I am the not so proud owner of a 2009 Lexus IS250. My question is why can NO ONE work on this Navigation System but Lexus? Monopoly much? My dash board and all of the material on the doors and everywhere isnt cracking, I can rub it off with one finger. Its melting. You cant clean it because anything you use just sticks to it and it looks horrible. To go along with this my water pump cracked overheated my car and destroyed my electrical system to include the alternator, battery, navigation system, and all of this has been replaced but my navigation system because Im now flat broke and no one seems to be able to figure out how to fix it other than with another $1500 Computer from Lexus because that is the only place you can buy them. And if you do find one aftermarket, no one will touch it. My heat is stuck on and has been since winter. Its so stupid Im ready to drive this car off a cliff! Recall the water heater!

After owning several BMWs, I purchased a 2013 Lexus IS250 Sport. I have been so disappointed with the GPS that I have resorted to using Mapquest on my iPhone. Lexus has been totally unresponsive to my complaints and suggested I upgrade the software. After years of complaints you would think they would invest in their GPS or partner with someone reliable.

I purchased my first Lexus in the Spring of 2017. Everything was fine until the temperature started to drop & I would hear a loud screeching sound when coming to any stop sign. At first I thought that the brakes were bad... But after getting several opinions from the Lexus Dealership and a few others. I was told that this is a common issue and theres nothing that can be done until Lexus upgrades their brake pads/brakes & that I will be put on the list. Not only is this disappointing because I thought highly of Lexus before but this is extremely EMBARRASSING. I feel as if Im driving a 89 Pinto. Whenever I make a stop you can hear the loud screeching. Never will I buy a Lexus again!!! Also the Lexus Enform Remote start never works. I like in the Midwest with extreme temperatures below 0. Disappointed that I had to pay extra for something that never works!

There is a wide variety available from Lexus, with each vehicle maintaining its dependable characteristics. There are sedan, SUV, mid-size, compact, and other models, so there is a wide selection with almost a guarantee to have at least a couple options that fit an individuals needs and wants in purchasing a car. The Lexus aesthetic features are that of a sleek body and exterior and distinct interior features like leather stitching. The vehicles have a smart key entry system, and many models have touchscreen controls and a navigation screen interface. There are tons of options available for upgrades and personalizations with Lexus. Upgrade options include performance-related ones like engine components and fuel systems, as well as aesthetic/personal interests like suspension systems and racing equipment. Passenger capacity for larger size sedans and SUV models are great. All models are comfortable for their individual capacities, and Lexus has a lot of models that can accommodate larger numbers of passengers while still allowing for cargo and extra things to haul in the vehicles.

Very easy and enjoyable experience. Lexus is a brand name that you can trust. They always have the newest safety features and all models that youve seen on TV or while driving your previous vehicle. And the cars are durable! These cars are beautiful. The bodies are sleek, yet built to stand any kind of unexpected damage. These vehicles always seat as comfortably as you would assume. If you have children, rest assured they will be safe and have enough room to stretch out in the back seat area. You can also count on this company to offer as many upgrades as they have readily available. If not, theyll add them to the model of your choice. Theyre the newest and most needed upgrades.

It has always been my dreams to one day own a Lexus. However, this is not what I intended or expected from such a prestigious and renowned luxury car dealership. Two weeks after purchasing my Pre Owned Certified Lexus ES 350 I have had nothing but major problems with this car, both mechanical and interior issues. The paint on the car is fading and very spotty, the armrest and the leather seats are tearing apart by the day. Typically I am the only one using the car, other than my husband who has his own car, and I do not have any children that would exacerbate the problem. Just recently there was a problem with my trunk latch that was making it almost impossible to close my trunk. I took it to the dealership, and thank goodness it was covered by the warranty.Once I received the car back, about a week later, I noticed the same thing started happening again with the latch, and I also noticed an echo sound when closing the trunk that was not there before they serviced the vehicle. Immediately I contacted their corporate office and told them my concerns, but to no avail. They offered me a voucher that could probably pay for one tire, and just wished me away. I really feel abandoned and betrayed by this dealership, and to some degree, heart broken because this was my dream car. I hope that they can get these current problems resolved without dragging me through a long and drawn out process, and not having to obtain a lawyer to get to the bottom of these issues. If anyone has any suggestions or comments that could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

I leased an ES 350 2016, I could not believe in three years or less how a car could be modified. 2016 Lexus was roomy, elegant, comfortable, quiet. 2019 Lexus, tight, seats not as comfortable, noise, and more of a sports feel instead of luxury and comfort. DO NOT DO IT. I have only had vehicle for less than a month and regretting it. Showed and mentioned to siblings who also drive Lexus and they are now looking at other options, first time in years.

The IS 250 is a great ride that drives well making even those who dont love driving enjoy it. I love the way this car corners. We test drove the gs and es models as well, but they really felt too sedan for me. The SUV model rs was a disappointment altogether. The SUV has a nice passenger capacity. We however were looking for a sportier vehicle that still had room for a family of four. The IS model has just that. However, our two teens dont feel there is enough legroom in the back for them. But Im in love with my car. The smallest interior details really set this luxury line apart from others. The wood used is gorgeous and held up well. These details really add to the cars comfort. I also like the upgrade rims. They are stunning and add just the right amount of bling and luxe to the car. Other upgrades include navigation which we passed on.

Unbelievably bad issue with an otherwise good car. I would appreciate any help or constructive comments how this can be replace. Lexus have a long waiting list. We recently took our 2008 GS 350 in for a routine oil change at a Lexus dealer in Sharon - what a great and impressive building with nice people. But imagine my shock when they told us that we would need brake calipers again! This car has about 60,000 miles. The brakes, including calipers, and all the tires have already been replaced once. The brake job, including calipers, was replaced by them just a year ago. We were told that there was no warranty. As I am sure you know, this is not an inexpensive repair. We have been religious about having all service done by this same dealer. I am now wondering if this is a defect. This car is not subjected to overt or extreme temperatures. It is housed in a heated garage so what could cause new calipers to go so quickly? I would like some answers. I appreciate your time.

On May 9, 2012, I purchased a used 2004 Lexus RX 330 for $14,600. I put a down payment of about $6,000 down and financed about $10,000. My payments are for 3 years at around $240. I drove the vehicle to the Lexus manufacturer to have them find out why my vehicle has a bad odor and other items on vehicle. I found out that this vehicle’s sunroof had been leaking and as a result of the sunroof leaking, that carpet has built up mold and was needed to be replaced. They also found out that there were other things on vehicle that needed replacing; seat belt in the rear seat, front arm controls needed to be replaced, radiator needed to replaced, engine cap was clogged, bushing needed to be replaced, the extra key needed a battery, several dents on the vehicle, tires needed to be replaced and several dents and items that needed to be replaced on the vehicle. The manufacturer advised me that the vehicle was not safe to be on the street without these repairs. I took my concern to Steven and he told me several times that he was not going to fix the problem because he did not have to. He insulted me and my relative and he became very belligerently loud and abusive for no reason. I left the premises and advised him I would be back. It has been 1 month later and this situation has not, up to now, been resolved. Can you please help, because I am paying for car insurance and I have the car payment? This vehicle is just sitting in my driveway for the last 2 months. I have had to rent a rental so that I could pick up and take my son back and forth to college. I hope you can help.

The exterior is sleek with sharp lines and soft contours. The interior is also sleek. I like the sound system and the navigation system. With our particular model, we decided that we wanted to upgrade a couple of options, particularly the sound and navigation systems. We also decided on the premier leather seats. In addition, we are able to comfortably seat five adults. The capacity was one of our major concerns when purchasing a new car. This model definitely fits our needs.

I have been driving Lexus RX series since 2004 and Germain Lexus of Dublin Ohio is my dealer that I dealt with all those years. Just recently, I returned my leased 2017 RX350 and purchased 2020 RX350L. The deal was to forgive me for all remaining payments on my lease and to forgive me for the excessive mileage. Everything was verbally and was not in writing. Once I got my new 2020 RX350L, few weeks later I received an invoice from Lexus Financial Services to pay for excessive mileage. I called Lexus Financial Services and said the deal was to forgive me, they said, You have to contact Germain dealership and remind them to pay us the bill, I did and the sales manager I dealt with said that the deal was I have to pay for excessive mileage. I am 100% positive that he is not correct but unfortunately, there is nothing in writing to proof my case. I wrote a complaint on Germain’s website but no one contacted me, I also left a voicemail for the General Manager but he didnt return my call.My advice is to get every promise in writing before you sign anything.

Although I actually like my 2011 RX 450h, I am extremely disappointed with Lexus from a warranty perspective. Basically, it appears absolutely nothing is ever covered under the warranty. Since I purchased this new vehicle two years ago, I have spent thousands of dollars for required maintenance. Additionally, the tires were faulty from day one and required replacement at $1900 a pop. I cant wait for my lease to end so I can get out of this nicely appointed money pit and go back to BMW, where the service requirements are few and far between - and absolutely everything is always covered under the warranty.

I wanted a car with all leather seats and the Lexus salesperson and the Lexus V Spec sheet and the Lexus window sticker all said that it had leather seats. This was in error as the seats are trimmed leather with leather only on a smaller part of the seats. I didnt notice this until 2 days later and I immediately contacted the dealer. They didnt offer a solution and so I went to Lexus USA. The Window Sticker/Monroney sticker is a Federally mandated contract for what is on the car, therefore the data was wrong on this and after 3 weeks, after they tried to tell me it was all leather only to succumb later that it isnt, told me that they will not buy back the car and closed the case. This is my first experience with Lexus and I am very disappointed in them. They know that they made an error on my window sticker and sold me something other than what they told me I was getting so I am very disappointed in the lack of integrity with this company.

I am not employed by Lexus or trying to help them in any way. I am a business owner that has been in the market for a luxury car. I love this website and feel it has prevented me from making a huge financial mistake! I have always wanted an Audi and was close to purchasing their flagship A8. After reading the nightmares of Audi ownership, I started investigating Mercedes and BMW on Consumer Affairs. To make this short, the complaints on Lexus (other than an apparent common problem with their dash cracking) are NOTHING compared to the three German manufacturers! Im seeing complaints on Lexus for using a quart of oil at 120k miles? Transmission complains at 60k? Just saying, read the problems other luxury owners are having, you will feel much better! I still dont know what I will end up dropping $70-$90k on, Lexus seems kind of boring to me, but based on the complaints I am reading about them, I feel it would be a much more reliable option than most..

I own a 2012 Lexus CT 200h. Absolutely love my car. 2 1/2 weeks I was in a car accident that was not my fault. My car went to Lexus of the quad cities to get an estimate. While in for getting the door fixed rust was noticed on both of the front door seams. We questioned it and had to get in contact with Lexus. My husband talked to Shawn directly at Lexus. They sent someone out to look at my car. Since my car has rust on the seams they will not cover it, as it is not rusted through. Lexus warranty says corrosion or perforation for 6 years unlimited miles. Since the door was already being painted it would not cost anymore to fix the seam under the door. Shawn told my husband nothing he could do about it and no one else he could speak to. I dont know about you but who wants to spend $40,000 on car that is only 4 years old and its rusted. I guess I thought buying a Lexus was not buying a Ford Focus, even though I owned a Ford Focus 10 years ago and it never rusted. Customer service not good, neither is warranty.

I am the owner of two Lexus vehicles. I am investing my time to inform you of my feelings towards Lexus; as the respect, integrity and trust, which I have so highly esteemed about Lexus, has been compromised. This time the 2007 Lexus ES 350 with just 34,000 miles encountered a problem with the passenger window as it would no longer function properly. What I learned is that the window mechanism is so cheaply made that the plastic parts just broke apart. This design flaw resulted in a five hundred dollar plus repair bill that stole hard-earned dollars from other priorities my family has at this time. When I needed to truly rely upon Lexus reliability during challenging economic times, you let me and my family down. What is concerning is the fact the other three windows will certainly face the same catastrophic failure. (And surprisingly, considering the fact that the windows are hardly ever used as the Florida heat makes the AC priority one). The bottom line is this: Why would I ever buy another Lexus product when price and value are so far apart? Please let me know how you may be able to help given the aforementioned situation that my family and I currently find ourselves in.Lexus Service Specialists phone reply: As you did not visit our service department and took your car to a private repair facility, you voided your warranty. My car was well out of warranty, but they said that the CPO (certified pre-owned) Warranty would have covered this had I gone to the dealer. Well actually, the CPO would not cover a window repair; but the Service Specialists... they would have helped if I would have asked. Wow, with my other Lexus which had several service issues, the dealership was very specific that the warranty did not cover my problem and all costs would be borne by me. It is so sad to be witnessing the demise of the famed Lexus brand name. My friends and neighbors, who also own Lexus products, have also commented never again when asked if they would purchase another Lexus, as their own experiences have been much worse than mine… so sad.

I have a Lexus IS250 2008. Always park my car in my driveway, lived in the same place for 3 years and had my car for 3 years too. One night, came home, locked my car like every time. Next day woke up, getting ready to go to work, open my car and for my surprise my airbag was stolen - my whole entire system. They took the most expensive items from the car. They did not cut alarm wires or broke into the car. Made a police report, gave them evidence of what we found. We found what they call is a ghost key. This type of keys open any coded car without getting the alarm to go on. I contacted the dealer customer service and I ask how safe and secured is their car and they told me that it was the best car in security system. When I told them what had happened to my car they didnt know what to say and didnt want to help. My insurance told me that my car was a total loss. I was mad and disappointed with the Lexus company. 2008 Lexus RX 350 Water pump was leaking out the shaft of the pump. To change this water pump, they tell me they have to pull or lift the motor. It will cost over $2k. For 60 dollar pump, I going to have to pay them $2k. I had to have my car towed to my house one night only to find out I cannot afford to fix the car. The bearing went bad in the water pump. I think it should be something they fix for part price only because it not my fault you put a car together that you have to pull the engine to get the water pump installed.

My car was dead in the driveway. I called Lexus Roadside 800 448-1505 and asked them to send a repair truck WITH a new battery. A AAA tow truck arrived. He said he could not sell me a battery; he can only tow or jump the old battery. I want to make this very clear, I was very willing to pay for the new battery. And although he had a battery on the truck he could not sell it to me. After speaking with corporate, Lexus admits that the contract specifically states that service is tow or jump only.

I have a Lexus GS and noticed the roof molding peeling. I Google and discover it was a common problem. My windows and door locks stopped working. For a luxury car I expected much better reliability. I have 3 Toyota cars and only my older ones were OK. I have switched to Honda now and been very happy. They repaired the paint and windshield visor on my 2008 Civic which is 7 years old under warranty. At least Honda takes pride and responsibility for their cars. I now only buy Honda.

I bought this Lexus 2.5 years ago. About a year in and about 95,000 miles once or twice it ran rough at a stop sign for about 3 seconds and corrected itself (thought it was a bit of bad gas). I looked online and saw a post about this possibly being an issue. I also found in the glove box a page from Lexus saying they will take care of this even though it is not a recall. So, I took it to Sacramento Lexus. They said they would validate the issue, order parts, and give me a loaner vehicle. Well, they sure did. They took care of it completely! Obviously out of warranty and fully covered. They even offered to do any other repairs they find while doing the repair at the cost of the part cost only. I was truly amazed at the depth they would take care of a used vehicle not bought from that dealer, out of warranty, and the issue almost never happened that I was aware of. Above and beyond to say the least. Very impressed with Lexus and that dealer.

I own a 2005 Lexus RX300 SUV with 109,000 miles. In early 2013 I began to notice a crack on the passenger side front dashboard. I took it to the dealer and their solution was for me to replace the front dashboard. Total estimated cost - $1,800. The crack follows the line of the passenger side airbag. When you buy a luxury car you expect the interior to last longer than 8 years. The car is parked in a garage. I think the defect is associated with the way the airbag was installed and I further believe Toyota knows this. Beyond the appearance issue I wonder if the airbag is defective?

After experiencing what I thought was a leak in the sun roof, I found out from the dealership that the SUV had four blocked sunroof drains due to dust, dirt and leaves and a blocked A/C drain caused by a spider making a web. I am in the dealership for all of my regular service checkups and these items are not on the check list of things to look at for each of the required service appointments. I have been told this will cost $9000.00 (this is not in my budget). My insurance company will not pay for this, so I am currently waiting for Lexus Corporate to get back to me. The interesting thing is that in addition to the 3 year warranty, I purchased an additional 3 years for continuity of service. A lot of good that did me.

The Lexus RX is the most luxurious car Ive ever driven. Im always complimented about it and the interior is just stunning. And for 40,000 dollars it was definitely a steal and completely worth it. Driving it is smooth and the ride is quiet. The acceleration in 5 seconds took me by surprise. The Lexus RXs can typically hold 6 people. It would be suitable for a small family. If you have a bigger family, Lexus can still hook you up with the GS and the LX etc. I got it in a nice silver color and I always get the urge to wash it (to preserve its beauty). The seats are in great shape, and I find it so amazing that minimal additions and changes could transform it that great. You can customize the interior, exterior and wheels. Its like picking the toppings to add on your perfectly nice fro-yo - its not necessary, but its better - and then you eat it (drive it) and feel content afterwards.

I own a 2007 Lexus RX350 that was purchased in 2008. It has been a very reliable car with few mechanical issues over the last 11 years. In the last year, my dashboard began to crack and now is split in several places. I contacted my Lexus dealer who negated to even inform me there was a national recall on the dash itself. I had taken my vehicle in for routine service during that recall envelope and not one thing was mentioned! Park Place Lexus/DFW area practically blew off my concerns off and told me to call the Lexus 800 number. I was subsequently told the recall period had expired and their attitude stemmed around them informing me it was MY responsibility to check for recalls. What??? Now my paint is fading/peeling even though my car is perpetually garaged and I work overseas 18 days/month. It only has 67k miles! I really loved my Lexus but my experience with my dealer and Lexus HQ has all but convinced me its time to go with another brand. Lexus... youve lost my business!!! Buyers... Consider yourself warned!

The issue is that I was told that the $1,000.00 for es350 2012 incentive ended on 12/22/2011. It is noted on several web sites that all Lexus dealers are giving $1,000.00 until 1/2/2012. Other sites indicate this $1,000.00 incentive is good to 1/3/13. I emailed Al ** and visited him today after no response from email. He and his manager stated that I had not seen it first; then it did not apply to all Lexus dealers. We bought our 2000 Lexus RX300 brand new in Sept 2000. As Lexus was worried about the impending release of the Acura MDX, we got a few hundred dollars below-list price. Starting in 2009-2010 period, the windows began failing, i.e. the up/down switches no longer worked in the front windows. Then the door locks started failing. Now whenever I lock the car 1 of the 4 doors randomly does not lock and I must walk around the car manually locking all the doors. Note that this is WORSE than no door locks at all because unlocking the front door by key or by switch tends to unlock all the doors, meaning the car WASTES my time. We have had several incidences on a long trip where the window got stuck down and you have to drive home with the driver and/or passenger window open. Lexus wants $500/door to replace the $5 servo motor, because the doors are extremely poorly designed and literally take 4-5 hours to disassemble and reassemble each one!It was the final straw when the antenna motor failed and I had to remove 28+ nuts and bolts and disassemble the ENTIRE rear cargo area just to get the dang thing out! Lexus is so arrogant they think their $5 motors and $10 antennas never break, so the car is actually VERY POORLY put together and not easily maintainable. We never seek Lexus dealer service because they charge 2x what our local Asia car-mechanic costs, and they have junior techs! Beware!

The dashboard on my 2007 Lexus ES 350 is so sticky and melting. I contacted the corporate office and they referred me to Lexus of Pembroke Pines service department to take a picture of the dash and they would forward the photos to them. After they received the photo, I was told that they had to look at my maintenance history with Lexus to decide what they would do to resolve my problem since my car was out of warranty. I stopped having my car maintenance done at Lexus last year because of the issues I always would run in to with the service department at the North Miami Beach dealership. They always wanted to push off extra things that I didnt come there for. And when I would refuse they would have an attitude. So I decided, why spend your money at a business where there is bad customer service skills.I faithfully had my car serviced the entire time that I had my car. When I asked to speak with someone else at the Corporate office they decided that they will pay for the labor and I can pay for the parts. I feel that when you buy a Lexus, you should never have to worry about a issue like a melting sticky dashboard. I have purchased Hondas, Mercedes Benz, and Jaguar and never had an issue like this. I will be in the market again for a new car and I will not take a change and buy another Lexus and have to worry that the same thing will happen.

I purchased a 2016 Lexus ES350 in May 2016. For the first year Lexus offers a one year complimentary subscription to their Enform Safety Connect and Service Connect features. The Service Connect feature is supposed to provide maintenance alerts and the health of your vehicle through a Vehicle Health Report available by e-mail or by viewing the Health Report on the Lexus Drivers Website. The Service Connect feature has never worked from the day I picked up the car. Since May I have called Lexus Corporate 5 times about this issue and contacted the Lexus dealership twice but I get no satisfactory answers. No one can tell me what the problem is nor can they resolve the issue. Frankly I have given up on getting this issue resolved. Lexus wants $164.89 for a one year subscription for the Safety and Service Connect package. I have, therefore, decided not to renew the subscription when my one year complimentary subscription ends. Lexus has the audacity to charge $164.89 for a service where one the components of the subscription they cannot provide.I have had other issues that I have called Lexus Corporate about. I used their Built IT tool and I relied on information on their website when I configured my ES350. However, when I went to the dealership to order the car I found that some of the information was wrong and the car could not be ordered in the configuration per their Build It tool. In addition, when I took delivery of the car I found that the interior of the car was not what was shown per the Build It tool. When I complained to Lexus Corporate about it I was told Lexus was not responsible for any incorrect information on their website and if I relied on that information then that was my problem. This was my first Lexus and it will be my last. The Customer Service is simply not what one expects from a high end car company. I have had Mercedes cars in the past and if I had an issue they promptly took care of it. Lexus does not seem to care about their customers.

I have significant concerns about my 2006 Lexus IS 350 that the company is refusing to remedy. I have written a letter in an appeal to Lexus to correct a dangerous engineering and design flaw. I have also spoken to the dealership (to no avail) and the department specialist of customer service at Lexus. He assured me that he has taken my concerns to the appropriate managers at Lexus headquarters (this essentially means that they arent willing to acknowledge or correct the issue). At first, I believed the problem was just an irritating inconvenience. The other night, I have discovered that it is a major safety hazard. I have a 2006 IS 350 whose computer touch screen navigation system has stopped working. This is obviously a major inconvenience as it is not just the navigation that doesnt work, it is also the air conditioning controls, the heating controls, the radio controls, the CD/MP3 player, the computer settings and the rear view camera! All of the radio presets were erased without any way to reset them. There is no way to adjust the fan settings for the a/c or heater, I can no longer adjust the base/treble/fade, the backup camera only works 10% of the time and of course, the navigation system is completely non-functional. As the car is only 5 years old and supposedly, a precision, luxury vehicle, one would not expect such major malfunctions affecting multiple systems. Unfortunately, for some reason, they designed all of these systems to be dependent on the navigation computer.I first contacted the company about this issue over the summer and did not receive a satisfactory remedy. I was essentially told that because so many of the computers were having problems, the company was offering to pay of the cost of the replacement part (but not the labor). Indeed, when I explored the issue on the internet, I found hundreds of posts about this problem and other navigation system issues! Given that the company was not willing to replace the defective screen, I would still have to pay over $1200 to $1500 to cover the cost of repair. Like many people, I do not have that amount of money to spend on an engineering mistake. In addition, I feel that it is wrong to ask the consumer to pay to fix something that is obviously flawed and not a result of owner misuse or wear and tear. Frankly, I had much higher expectations of Lexus and was dismayed and disappointed that the company was offering such a paltry remedy for such a major issue! This is an exasperating design flaw and definitely tainted my opinion of the quality of the Lexus product, warranty and customer service. However, I did not realize that this system failure was dangerous until the night of the 18th. Over the last week, the screen has started flashing as the system is trying to load. This is annoying and somewhat distracting in the daylight. However, when the screen flashed a very bright light that night as I was making a left turn at a busy intersection, I almost had an accident. Startled by the sudden light and thinking that the bright flash was the headlights of an oncoming car, I inadvertently swerved into oncoming traffic and narrowly missed being hit by two other cars.I implored Lexus to issue a safety recall for this problem and replace all of the touch screen systems that have malfunctioned before a tragic accident is caused. Although I realize the cost of replacing these systems is a significant consideration, it will be a small price to pay compared to the bad publicity, loss of consumer confidence, reduction of sales and not to mention, loss of human life that will occur if the issue is not rectified, and if the company does not react responsibly and proactively. Their response to my appeal was to offer the same remedy as last summer, 50% off of the component cost with no willingness to issue a recall or investigate the issue further.I have covered the screen with a piece of cardboard so that it cant happen to me again, but I worry about other people who may be unaware that this can happen. Especially since there were many reports online of Lexus owners who were having trouble with their navigation systems. I was very lucky to escape injury.

Six months ago, I bought my 2007 Lexus ES350 from the Lexus of Naperville. This is a Certified Lexus Car. When I bought the car, I was told that nothing goes wrong on a Lexus. But everything has been going wrong in this car. I have had to take it to the dealership three times with various problems. One of the times, the transmission on the car had failed and had to be replaced. This is the most ridiculous thing to happen on a Lexus at 35000 miles. I have always been a Nissan customer and have 3 Nissan vehicles, at home with one of them at 185000 miles; nothing has ever gone wrong in them. This time, I thought I would give Lexus/Toyota a chance and it has failed from all my expectations. Being afraid, if when this car would break down next, is a very stressful at this time. Please let me know how you guys can help with this purchase of mine, so I can have more stress free nights. If you need more info on the vehicle, please email me and I will be happy to send it out. I will also be writing to the consumer board, on how I have been cheated to buy a certified vehicle that breaks down every few months.Below is some of Art ** from Lexuss responses to my complaint: Thank you for contacting Lexus Customer Satisfaction. Thank you for providing us with your comments and concerns with your 2007 ES 350. We apologize this vehicle has not met your expectations. I will never buy another Lexus or Toyota product again. The last Lexus ES350 I owned, is the last. I do not know how in the world Lexus could call a Lexus ES 350 “Bulletproof” when the heads blew on the one I had at 145,000 miles, not mention the failing computer, the alternator, the Vehicle Stability Control, and let’s not forget their melting dash, the allegedly lethal Takata airbag system, and years earlier that accelerator problem. I do not understand how anyone who had problems I had could possibly call it reliable. The whole experience was shameful. Given my experience with a Lexus, I now question Consumer Reports rating system for rating that company number one in reliability. I had American cars I got three to four times the life out of than this supposed “Bulletproof” reliable car. I am sticking Mercedes, Genesis, Honda, Mazda, Kia, or Hyundai. In my opinion there are better cars for the same or less money than the Lexus ES350 I owned.

There were no obvious problems until a multitude of lights came on telling me to get the car to a dealer immediately. I took the car into Mungenast Lexus on Saturday, 3/8/2014 with 89,000 miles. The tech hadnt seen some of the items and I was told I would have to wait until Monday to find out the cause. They got the malfunction lights off and I said I would drive it until they came on again. The car wasnt driven much Sunday or Monday but the lights came on again late Monday and I took the car back to Mungenast on Tuesday, 3/11/2014. On Wednesday, 3/12/2014 I was given an estimate of $10,682.75 for the necessary repairs, not including taxes. Does anyone know of a $73,000 luxury car requiring $11,000 in repairs at 89,000 miles? A car that has been maintained and hasnt been in a wreck, has regular maintenance (although not by Lexus) or any other obvious mistreatment. I made a complaint to Lexus Customer Care (yeah, right!) and they gave me $2000 toward the repairs which I felt was a joke given the forums that point out all of the problems with this car. Virtually all of the repairs necessary are mentioned in all of the forums or other online places to learn of car troubles.I had all of the repairs done except the upper and lower control arms to the tune of $4637.81 including the $2000 credit against the repairs. The upper and lower control arms represent another $4690.15 plus tax. Ive been told to get this done as soon as possible. The car cant really be aligned until these are repaired. I had the first items done in order to get the car back and take advantage of what had been offered before they tried to renege on that. Additionally, I cant sell the car as is because it wont pass a state inspection. Even if I get it fixed, CarFax is probably going to show the repairs so I cant sell it as an individual and if I keep it, Ill be waiting for the other shoe and another $3000 or $4000 in repairs. I feel like I have been really screwed by Lexus with little ability to fight back.I plan to make sure this is known to as many people as possible and am seriously considering a big yellow lemon on all 4 doors with something like, Ask me about my Lexus experience with an e-mail or phone number. I have no idea if this would qualify for a lemon law claim. Repairs: 1) R & L #1 & #2 Upper Control Arms: $3210.35* 2) R&L Lower Control Arms: $1479.80* 3) Water Pump: $701.50 4) R Front Shock: $595.36 5) Brake Actuator: $2704.96 6) Bank 1 & Bank 2 Fuel Ration Sensors7) O-Ring, Fuel Gasket & Insulator at High Pressure $1523.67Fuel Pump: $871.52 *Work not done yet. Work that has been done: $6637.81 including tax. $2000. Lexus credit equals $4637.81. Perhaps the shock and the water pump would be okay although with 7 previous pre-owned cars driven in excess of 125,000 miles I had replace no shocks or suspension items. One fuel pump on a 2005 Lexus at about 100,000 miles.

We purchased a 2010 RX350 SUV on MAY 14, 2010. Started to notice around January 3, 2012, a thumping noise in the back of the SUV when stopping after going forward or backwards. We thought it was something loose in the trunk. Dealership said not to worry, many owners are complaining about the same thing. And, when there are enough complaints, Lexus will do more research to solve the problem. They are assuming that it has something to do with the rubber being too hard or too soft causing the thumping noise when stopping. Also said, this seems to be a normal function for this type model year vehicle and to bring up the concern each and every time the vehicle comes in for service in order to see if Lexus has come out with any repairs. My concern is the safety involved if this rubber does not support whatever it is suppose to do. My other concern is the warranty on the vehicle may expire before Lexus determines if this needs to be researched and recalled to fix the problem. Lastly, Its not likely we will be bringing in the vehicle, not unless its time for its check up. I was dissatisfied with the dealerships answer, and now am worried every time I drive the SUV. The mileage on the vehicle is 17,970.What is your answer for this problem? Thanks in advance.

Beware of this diagnosis. It is not covered as of now from Lexus and is a 6,000-7000 dollar repair due to their drain hose design and placement in vehicle. I just bring it in for 10000 mile service and within a week the car started to take in water. Its been a problem with these cars since 2012 and they wont do anything to fix it because theyre claiming natural causes. I leased car from lexus of Rt 10 in Whippany NJ. They wont help or lexus 1-800 wont either even knowing this problem has been going on for many years. I went on lexus forums to see if other people have had same experience and the answer is yes from same dealership also too but after their 5000 mile service. Beware and spread the word about lexus.

I had a worst case scenario of a safety recall: defective valves broke and I had total engine failure. Lexus did honor the repair, though I was under 100k mileage, I was over 3 yrs. They kept car 3 wks, replace one engine block and the valves. I paid for brakes, flushing system, and a new starter (car suddenly didnt start when I went to pick up car after 3 wks. Strange! Starter was another $1300. Car has 67,000 miles. This car is terrible... The brakes I can feel under foot and they sound like they need new brakes, not like they just had a brake job. The engine runs rough and loud. Makes some noises. The car also has a roar. The driver door even squeaks now and the whole car makes a noise and is rough. Its embarrassing! Has anyone had any problems? They had to take it apart and put it back together... Im thinking they didnt do a good job. Its not the same car. Any help or advise? I dont even know what to tell them.

First... Let me say that my Lexus dealership is fantastic. They were available and worked hard to solve my problem. That being said... My problem was with Lexus Roadside Assistance Program. At 6 pm I hit a rather large pothole with my CT200 which resulted in a flat tire. I got myself to a place out of traffic and called my dealership who told me I could call Lexus Roadside Assistance and gave me the # and transferred me. The call rang and rang... Finally someone picked up... Asked me if I was in a safe location (I responded yes) and said ok... She was going to place me back on hold, they just wanted to initially make sure I was not in an accident and was in a safe location. (My impression was high... Its a good process).I was then on hold for 20 minutes! I hung up and called back... Went through the same process... Another 15 minutes later I repeated my process and when the safety person answered the phone I asked him to please not put me on hold that I had been waiting for a while to speak to someone. He arrogantly told me that my situation was not priority and they were getting slammed with accidents and put me on hold.I called my dealership for advice... They were baffled and suggested I call AAA... I also ask them if the service manager who has ALWAYS been helpful, could give me a call when he got a chance. I hung up and called AAA and placed the request. In the meantime the service manager got hold of someone at Roadside Assistance and conferenced them in to me. At first the client service rep was seemingly irritated, but then calmed down and took my information and told me hed call AAA. I told him I had already done that. I must say that the ticket placed by Lexus was answered prior to my personal call to AAA, which is another matter, but I waited and AAA showed up and took care of my problem. While this is not as big an issue as others have had and I was not in danger... Merely irritated... I do have to speak to their customer service representatives and the process they have in place. They do have a system to find out the urgency of each callers situation, however, from a provider of high end luxury cars, the service seemed to stop there. Perhaps those who were having a true emergency received stellar service, but I should have too. Once it was determined that I was safe I shouldnt have had extended wait time to speak with someone... I was a woman, alone in a disabled car, in a not perfect location at dark. I should not have had to wait for over an hour to finally get in touch with someone for assistance.I would have preferred that Lexus process took into account that everyone calling them needed to be attended to in a timely fashion. It seems they have attempted to create a process, it just doesnt work well for non-emergency consumers.

Offered several mid-sized SUVs which is what I was looking for. I was able to test drive three different models in a variety of colors. All models had DVD players, cruise control, automatic windows and were easy for car seat installation. There were some with heated seats and upgrades to Sirius player. Some had special headlights. You can also choose your warranty options. Its easy to fit at least five or eight people and to convert to capacity for more people if needed. Easy to remove third row.

I own a 2009 Lexus RX350 with a cracked dashboard. Lexus sent a letter that extended the warranty on the vehicle for 10 years however the crack occurred shortly after that time (within a few months). I spoke to the corporate office and they indicated that since we didnt bring the vehicle into the Lexus dealership for service there was no ability to honor the warranty extension. Clearly their dashboards were defective and the cracks in my case happened after the 10 years were up (which is logical as the dashboard ages). I wasnt expecting Lexus to be strong armed and quibble over a few months in the interest of good customer service. No help from the Lexus corporate office. Im looking at buying a new car and will be bringing my business elsewhere, i.e. Audi / Infinity.

I have never had any problems with my Lexus. Aside from changing the tires, it has been a very reliable car. I have ALWAYS kept my car in my garage. About 2 years ago, the dash starting showing strange signs of razor-like slashes running throughout the dashboard. I had been going through many changes at that time, and did not bring it to the dealership when it first started occurring. Now, I have moved and the razor-like slashes have turned into the dash literally crumbling off!!!!! I brought my car to the dealership in Metairie, Louisiana and was told there that this was not considered a defect and it would cost me $2000 to repair. I called Lexus Corporate and spoke to a man named Ed on extension ** and he basically told me the same thing. Out of warranty, car too old, not a defect, sorry cant help you. I am so upset about this because I have always bragged about the fact that Lexus was the best car I have ever owned. I know people who have cars older than mine and dont have this problem. Has this happened to anyone out there? Were you able to get it fixed by Lexus? Help!!

Im just really disappointed the Lexus ES 350 - 2007 vehicle I purchased brand new, has only lasted 7 years. At the 5 year point, I had to have major repairs on it to include the water pump, thermostatic?/head gasket, battery, etc... and then, not even two years later, Im being told I need the head gasket and engine replaced. And this still happened after having consistent, routine maintenance on the vehicle, as prescribed by Lexus! When I spoke with the dealership, the service consultant relayed she wouldnt talk to me over the phone and I would need to bring the car in. Ok, I just had the car towed to a local Lexus-certified dealership (Toyota), why would I then have it towed another 26 miles just for Lindsay Lexus to tell me the same thing, and add a hefty charge for doing so! Needless to say, I will never purchase another Lexus... Im just so disappointed at this time.

I have a 2008 RX350 with 54K miles. I had a couple of problems within its 4 -year warranty. One was to replace the oxygen sensor. Another one was to add more Freon (AC not cool enough). Now I have two other problems. Last month I had a flat tire and tried to use the lift jack provided to lift the car. The jack cant stand straight and will crush. This is very dangerous if you just remove the flat tire and your car will crush to the ground. I never saw such issues with Honda accord and Ford Taurus previously. I am considering to buy a floor jack. The rubber boot on rear strut was broken after just three and half years, it was still in warranty but I forgot to bring it to dealer for repair, due to some hardship of my personal life at that time. Now I worry about the replacement of that strut. Why do Lexus use such cheap part? It is hard to say Lexus is building a quality car. I dont know if I will buy another Lexus car in the future.

The vehicle is 27 months old, in pristine condition, has just had its 2 year service and has under 18,000 klms on the clock. I was offered in the low $30k should I want to sell it. WOW! How can a vehicle be devalued by over 50% in just over 2 years? No wonder buyers are looking more to buying demo or second-hand vehicles. My radiator burst while driving. This caused my engine to overheat and blow the head gasket. I did not know the engine had a problem because my emission system had the engine light on.I had an appointment to fix the recalled emissions on 10.13.19. My engine blew on 10.6.19. The engine was supposed to shut down when overheated. It did not. I did not know because the engine light was on from the emission system recall. I called Corporate for assistance. $10,000 repair minimum. They were COLD AND IMPERSONAL. Basically they told me it was my problem. Mr. David **, of Bell Lexus Service, Phoenix, AZ told me that this has been a known problem. I think this is a defective material issue that should have been disclosed before I purchased the Lexus, as I would not have purchased a car that I use for business that absorbed fabric dye from dark pants, skirts, etc. I expected better quality; especially from Lexus! My local detail shop cannot get the dye stains out of the sides of the seats and door panel. Bell Lexus did get it out and they put a sealer on the seats and door and within two days the stains were back. David told me that I could bring the car back for seat cleaning but not every week. David also suggested that I not wear expensive jeans or other dark fabrics in the car? Do I tell my clients the same thing? What if I purchased a leather sofa and this happened? Shouldnt the same principles apply? As a Real Estate professional, I use my Lexus in my business to transport clients. Appearance is an important part of my job. A stained interior will very likely cost me lost sales, lost listings, and fewer referrals. My car is a business investment. Even the non-professional Lexus owner would not like this happening to their supposedly high quality car.Since David was acting as an agent for the Lexus admits the problem; I want this issue addressed and corrected. It is obviously, an undisclosed defect, in that it is inferior quality material, especially with a tan interior. For certain, the sides of the seats and door panels are made from defective materials. Please correct this problem as soon as possible, for I do not want to suffer any further losses.

I have 66,000 on my 2008 Lexus GS 350. I have really only had one problem with my car, and that being the rear calipers froze. I have a certified pre-owned warranty that would cover this problem had I not taken my car to a personal mechanic for brake pads. He is the one who realized the calipers froze. It was towed to Lexus and it took me 3 weeks of fighting and speaking with the owner of the Lexus dealership to get it covered. Now 6 months later the headlight went out, When I looked and noticed there was condensation in the housing of the light. Again I still have a bumper to bumper warranty but again, this is not covered. The seal is broke and they state this is normal wear and tear. $1791.00 to replace, ARE YOU KIDDING ME. WHAT does the certified pre-owned warranty cover because at this point I have had two issues and neither of them are covered under this warranty. So with that said, and the fact that it took me 1 year and 2 months to get mats for my vehicle that were promised as part of the purchase deal from my salesman, and then they were not LEXUS mats. They were WALMART cheap mats... I AM ALL SET WITH BUYING ANOTHER LEXUS. SO NOT WHAT THEY PORTRAY THEMSELVES TO BE...

2003 ES Lexus - I bought the car used in 2005, it had 10,000 miles on it. I paid $30,000 for it. After I had it for a couple of months, I started seeing a blue smoke coming out of the exhaust. I called Lexus and was told there was nothing they could do about it. I called a friend at Spritzer where I bought it and was told they were having an oil sludge problem in some of Lexus older model cars, so he called someone he knew at North Hills Lexus and they admitted they were having some problems with sludge engines and they would repair it free. I was very happy. That was at 20,000 miles. At about 40,000 it started smoking a little again. I just let it go thinking it wasnt that bad. Big mistake. Now I have a car that when I start it up, the car looks like its on fire. This engine has 80,000 miles on it so I talked to Lexus USA. They told me to take it to a dealer and run a test on it. I took it to Rohrich Lexus in Pittsburgh - very nice people, very helpful. The service manager was excellent. He ran tests and found that there was oil sludge building up in the engine again. So, I called Lexus USA to see what they wanted me to do. I was told their man Jimmy would contact me. Well after several days went by and repeated calls, he called and said his regional manager would be by and determine what would happen.Well to get to the point, he said that since I didnt have it serviced at Lexus, theres nothing they can do about it. My son-in-law owns a garage so he did the oil changes for me. They didnt want to hear it. So now Im stuck with a Lexus that isnt worth ** with an engine that only has 80,000 miles on it. They wont help me at all. Thanks Jimmy, you were of no help at all. I called you 10 times, you called me back twice. Good luck with your cars.

Im a previous owner of a 2000 Ford Explorer and 2004 Nissan Pathfinder (both kept for 10 yrs 100k miles) - no problems with either one. Last Lexus for me! Now (7/2017) an oil leak. Now (1/2018) the dashboard is starting to crack. Called Lexus to get repaired under enhanced warranty program, I was told since the SUV was bought in 2007 that the 10 warranty does not apply. I felt like I was taken advantage of the second I drove off the lot. My negative review is based on visiting Longo Lexus May 2014, after work on a weeknight, to look at the new IS250. I went in to see if I would be able to finance the car, how much I could get for my Lexus ES 350 trade-in, and how much the monthly payment would be, and my goal was to receive a lower monthly car payment. I wouldve never went in the evening if I knew I wouldnt be given an honest/fair contract due to a rushed salesman.I was referred to the lease fleet manager Sergio ** (who was interested in me leasing not buying) and he was very nice and helpful, or so I thought. While we were working on making sure my new payment was lower than my previous payment, Sergio started changing numbers that I was not aware of until two years later when I was ready to turn in my lease. My issues with my first leasing experience. While speaking with Sergio I asked for a two year lease; he wrote the contract for 27 months. I requested and paid upfront for any overage miles based on a two year lease; not a 27 month lease, so now I am way over my estimated mileage. I never agreed on a residual value for the car with Sergio. There was very poor communication on what was being discussed versus what was being written on the contract. Unfortunately timing, feeling rushed by a salesman wanting to head home (I was taking awhile to make a decision), and having no previous knowledge of how to lease a car, I asked my questions and trusted Sergios answers and signed the contract. Assuming everything we discussed was reflected on the contract. Two years later April 2016, I knew my lease was coming to an end so I read up on returning a leased car. And started shopping for a new car. I went into Longo Lexus to look at cars and discuss my lease end options only to be told I have four months left on my lease. I said this has to be wrong because I signed a two year lease and made sure to buy enough mileage for two years. The salesman at Lexus said no its 27 months. I asked him to request for a manager to call me, and no one called. Now the lease is costing an additional $1600 in unplanned monthly payments.Around that time I was being contacted/harassed by 3 separate salespeople, calling and emailing me about my end lease options. Each one I spoke with, I explained what happened to me, I asked what they could do for me, and what I should do to correct the issue, and if they could escalate this issue to management, and make sure someone contacts me. They all claimed they would try, but I never received any contact from Longo regarding what they are going to do to help me with my lease contract. No one appears to want to help me, I would love to consider an option of returning it and paying the lease end fee and 10 cents a mile (which is what I paid upfront). I would even consider a buy option if I was given a fair residual price.I know I should not be responsible for paying 25 cents a mile, just because a salesman wanted to give the illusion of creating a great deal/price. I think it is unfortunate that salesmen and managers do not share with consumers how the leasing process works, and all the fees associated with leasing, especially when theyre talking them out of buying a car. They do not talk about how much of a pain it is to give the car back/purchase the vehicle/lease a new car. A salesman asks for trust and they want enough information to help you. The consumer gives the salesman too much information, and then the salesman uses it against them. Instead of being helpful, theyre friendly so you feel like youve been given a good deal, but they of course make sure they receive the better deal.In the past few months, I have read a lot about the leasing process, and Ive asked better questions, and I understand what was done, and where everything went wrong. I wouldve liked Sergio to be upfront about what he was doing to get the cost down, versus doing it and thinking Id be ok with it, just to receive a minuscule lower monthly payment. If he wouldve been honest with me, I wouldve known I was given more months in my lease and I wouldve purchased more miles upfront, or I wouldve walked. Also if I knew the buy out option was depending on how much the residual value of the car was, I wouldve tried to negotiate a much better price, and if the numbers didnt work, I wouldve said never mind, and left. Also, if they wouldve said to give the car back it would cost $400+, I wouldve also walked. But of course Sergio knew that, and made sure not to miss out on getting a car off the lot, and made sure his time wasnt wasted, he appeased me, adjusted some numbers like magic, and the rest is history/an awful nightmare. I shouldve never been honest with him about what my goal was, because then I wouldve been given an honest price, and I wouldve left, because I know my finances and what I can and cannot afford.Ive been stressed out for months, trying to figure out how to pay for all of these additional screw the consumer charges, while trying to come up with more money for a down payment for a new car, so I can get to and from work. No one seems to care, they just want to screw me more, by talking buy-out, or new lease options. No one has yet to reach out to me to address my situation, as if what happened to me is just normal sales practice for all your leases. This makes me very sad, because I thought I liked Longo Lexus, and Lexus in general. I had such a great experience with my ES 350, I thought I would try out a new body style. Worst mistake I couldve made. Instead of this being a great positive, referral experience, its a stressed out, depressing, seek a therapist, experience. If someone, who is willing and able to assist me, could finally reach out to me, and discuss what I can do, I would greatly appreciate it.

Im the original owner of a 2005 Lexus RX 330 and its garaged daily and serviced only at the dealer. A few weeks back, the dash started showing little hairline cracks in areas above the glove compartment/airbag location and they are getting bigger by the week. I contacted Lexus’ headquarters and they will not do anything about it. The dealers tell me it was due to a faulty material used in the dash that separates and corporate is aware. But since they dont get enough complaints, they will not replace because its very costly! Thanks, Lexus, for your piece of crap car that you wont take any responsibility for. Trust me, I wont be buying your product ever again. I remained loyal to you and your dealerships for years and now you cant even stand behind your product!

I purchased my 2919 RX450H in December of 2019 off the showroom floor with 250 miles. The first year of having my car, my car shut down on me two times. Both times I was on my way to a patients home. While in route to my clients home I started receiving Hybrid System Malfunction warnings, Pre-Collision Malfunction and Check Engine, immediately after that I received a warning to pull over to a safe place immediately and within .03 miles it automatically shut off without me being able to pull over to a safe place. By the second time, I went into the dealership and I spoke to the GM at the Lexus dealership in Orland about the car being very unsafe for me to drive because I never know when it’s going to just shut down on me and that I would like for Lexus to give me another car exactly like mine. I informed him the only reason I chose Lexus over the other high end cars was due to its safety history. He informed me that the dealership aren’t able to mark my car as a lemon write off only Lexus corporation have the legal right to do that. I contacted Lexus corporation. Filled out all the required paperwork along with the service that had been performed on my vehicle due to my shutting off while driving. I later received a letter stating they reviewed my case. Could not mark my car as a lemon. I’m here to say that my car just shut down on me again for the 3rd time for the exact same reason with only 20k miles on it!! I spoke to the GM at the Lexus dealership in Orland again informing him how upset I am and this is unacceptable and how I can’t believe Lexus isn’t standing behind their brand considering how they brag as being ranked as one of the safest cars on the road! Lexus doesn’t stand by their name and don’t care about their customers safety!! I do not recommend Lexus to anyone if this is how they stand behind their brand!!! I feel like Lexus IS saying “you’re on your own and deal with it”!

This brand of car has been one of the most reliable vehicles Ive ever purchased. The car has all the Bells and whistles. Fully loaded and electronic features way ahead of time. This car has been the most reliable car in the maintenance has been the most. Also, this car can cover receivers with all the ladies. Passenger airbag, heated seats, black luxury reclining chairs and DVD players in the back for the comfort of the kids as well as adults. I would highly recommend this car (Lexus ls400) to anyone and I would purchased this car again.

In February of 2013 I leased a 2013 RX350 from Lexus in Peoria, IL. I kept smelling an odor coming from the vents and took it back to the dealership to fix the problem. They sprayed disinfectant in the vents and brought it back. That was in August of 2013, I could still smell it so they picked up the car again, sprayed again and changed the cabin filter. Still the smell was there! I have called the corporate office and they wont do anything more about it. In September I had to go to doctors office, received 3 shots and my doctor sent me to emergency room, got more shots and they did some blood test. They think I had an allergic reaction, we think because of the mildew. When I told corporate about this they said it was because of my driving habits,???? I have tried everything I know to do. In February 2014 I had ANOTHER allergic reaction, was sent to doctors office and had to get a shot! Was in bed for the whole weekend again. I am only leasing this vehicle and they wont fix it!!

Long story short. Do not buy a 2019 Lexus ES350 F Sport from this dealership or any other in the United States. Their much advertised Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is a fraud on this car model. (“Consumer fraud occurs when a product or service does not perform as advertised”.) The “Road Sign Assist” does not work no matter what you do. Lexus so called “Technology Specialist” and Lexus engineers are unable to fix the problem as of January 9, 2019. I bought a 2019 brand new one for over $50,000 on November 14. 2018 and the system has not worked from day one, even that Lexus advertisement shows a photo showing a red stop sign on the head up. Nice photoshop Lexus. I have been in contact with the Lexus dealership and Lexus Headquarters since I found out the system just does not work, and all I have gotten is a run around. If you want further information feel free to call me.UP-Date: On January 10, 2019 at 11:12 am I received a call from Lexus Escondido Technology Specialist Rick ** telling me that the 2019 ES350 F Sport they sold me does not have the “Road Sign Assist” I paid for even that Lexus advertise it does and all my paperwork on the car says it does. If this is not fraud, I don’t know what is. I will now file a complaint with the California Consumer Protection Agency and the Federal Trade Commission about the deceptive car advertising Lexus is doing.

This brand goes to great lengths to add detail to the interior of the car. The detail makes the car feel classy. Intuitive gauges to slick interior is one of the reasons I keep coming back. Gauges are setup in a way that makes it easy to read. Car stark is awesome. The options on wheels was something I liked and upgraded audio was something I found extremely valuable. Updated dashboard lighting was also a plus. Im happy with the amount of space inside the vehicle. I have a family of four plus a dog and never have any issue packing my car for trips.

Lexus had issues with brake actuators so the warranty was extended and letters were sent. If you didnt have a problem during the warranty period no action was required and no action would be taken on the vehicle. The warning came up on the dash after the extended warranty was over. We were told by the Dealership Service Manager that Lexus Corporate had always helped in the past on this issue so We had the work done at the Lexus dealership, about $3,500. When Lexus Corporate was contacted the Lexus case manager said they would have to look into it. They called back my cell but left no message at all. I called back but the case manager was unavailable, and I was told they would call back. This same process repeated several times. Finally, I was able to speak with the case manager and was told the policy is strict and nothing is done on extended warranty after the warranty period is over. Why were we not told of the unbending policy from the beginning? To the contrary we were told that Lexus had always covered this issue out of warranty in the past. We could have taken the car for the repairs somewhere else and saved money but were led to believe Lexus would probably provide full relief. Why is Lexus charging full price and making a profit from a known issue?
