Buy Kia Automobile 2025 Kia Sportage
Our 2012 Sorento was serviced by the KIA service department where we bought the car. We were driving in town at 35 mph when the engine just stopped. The engine had no warning lights and no noises. We luckily were near a parking lot and were able to coast in. Called the KIA service to receive the car and diagnose the problem. They tell us the main engine bearing failed and we will need a new engine. If this is a problem KNOWN to KIA, they should replace the engine for us. At no cost. We had a Subaru Forester for 260,000 miles with absolutely no engine problems! I think this needs more investigation.
If you get a traffic violation from and camera- beware. KIA will get the notice and will hold it for weeks, then will pay it for you with all the added penalties and then charge. I had several violations because of a bad transponder. If KIA would have just sent me the notice I could have easily taken care of it for $2 or $4. Instead they withheld the notices, paid it after 6 weeks of when it was issued, sent me the bill to pay them and threatened my immaculate credit when I objected. Filed a complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was a waste of time. Will never deal with KIA in any capacity ever again. Even the owner of the dealership said they were jerks to deal with!
I brought my daughters ‘14 Sorento to Kia Coral Springs 5/30 for regular service as well as an evaluation of a serious situation relative to the paint peeling off several areas of the car not affected by road stones or anything other than a factory defect. I brought it first to a paint and body shop and was told in 2 minutes to bring it to Kia consumer affairs. It was in his expert opinion, clearly a factory defect issue. There were photos taken at the dealership and passed on to the local Kia representative responsible for evaluating any type of bodywork. I just heard from Kia corporate consumer affairs and because the warranty expired, regardless what caused the problem, it’s the owners responsibility. I have a friend who had the exact same situation last year with a Nissan product...also expired warranty and also a factory defect causing the paint to peel. They repainted the car and now have a loyal Nissan customer for life.As a result, I will have her car painted and promptly trade it in for anything other than another Kia product. I will share this story of a very short-sighted company with anyone contemplating the purchase of a Kia in the future. The reverse would have been true if this company was more open minded and interested in promoting goodwill. Their fault, but easy way out was turn a blind eye to what’s right and hide behind “their” warranty protection. Kia, one and done!
I have a 2012 Kia Rio that I bought one year ago. There is 52 thousand miles.. I love the car, drives good and gets good gas mileage.. A couple weeks ago I had a terrible burning smell after letting car warm up.. Couldnt find anything wrong.. A few days after radio would not keep stations programmed. Went to work one day radio was fine.. Went to lunch radio did not work. Kia said nothing they could do warranty was up.. I thought when I purchased car the 100 thousand mile warranty was on the whole car. Now I have to buy a new radio as the one in the car burned out. They said well its electronics.. Have never in all the years I have had a car the radio burns out. Kia does not stand by warranty as they say when you purchase car. Will never buy a Kia again.
Went to Kia help. They would call me to help with my car, so they charged me $26 dollars for a phone call I never got. They said they were unavailable for call but took the money anyway. KIA MAJOR TIME SCAM ARTIST, THAT ALL THEY ARE
Took my car in, notice the next day that oil had dripped from car. Had got oil change, tire rotation and change radiator out and got inspection on car. Drove car to bank next day. Came back home, saw something on side walk. It was oil that had leaked out. Car had to get tolled in to Hutchinson dealer, was without car but they didnt ask me if I wanted a car. And then I had call them several times after I sent a picture of what had happen. They are very careless, my car was the first one there for the times I have been there. They dont speak to you but want you to buy car from them then they are nice. After that they treat you like nothing.
I cannot get my check engine light to stay off. Every state inspection time, I go through the same problems. Always a misfire or several other sensors are replaced. This is rather expensive.
I have been getting my car repaired here for over a year and I never had a bad experience until today. I had a flat tire, called roadside assistance and when they attempted to take the tire off one of the lug nuts were put on crooked from when I got my tires changed months before. Once I got to the dealership Artie **., the service employee was extremely rude and dismissive. I told him that all I needed them to do was take the lug nut off and put it back on properly until I can get a new tire. He told me to write down my number and they would be in contact but it may be a few days. This was not fair to me because I just wanted them to fix what they did wrong and instead of being helpful, they were rude and inconsiderate.
I went to South Shore Kia on 2/3/18 after waiting over a week for an appointment. My driver’s side indicator stays lit even when the car is turned off. I got there and I had to sign for a 169.99 diagnostic fee. I asked about my warranty and the service employee said they have to look it up. At this time no one told me the warranty expired less than 1 month ago. I get a call 3 hrs later stating they have to charge me another diagnostic fee which would be 169.99 because they were not certain of what was wrong. Four hours later when I did not get a call I called in to ask what had happened and they stated they would get back to me. Another hour goes by and I receive a call that they fixed the harness in my Sorento but it didnt fix the issue, then proceeded to explain what I needed. I immediately called my husband who went down to the dealership. Like magic when he asked to see the part they fixed and why they were charging 2 diagnostic fees and 169.99 an hour YES an hour, the bill amazingly shrunk from almost 1400.00 to 185.00. If I would have went down there they would have taken 1400 dollars from me because I didnt know about cars. My Sorento is still not fixed as I now have to pay out of pocket for everything as my warranty is up. And as per Jacob at Kia Consumer Affairs I was told when I bought the vehicle when the warranty would end and they do not have to send me any notification. They do not have to respond to my complaint but it will be addressed, somehow. So I have to fix my car which I had for less than 2 years with NO WARRANTY. Also Kia Sorentos do not have fuses so something as simple as a headlight or indicator that needs to be fixed cost over 800 dollars as I need a body control module (computer) to work headlights. I may not fix cars but how is this affordable for anyone? I believe this is the only car made this way. Are we still in the 50s and 60s. When will companies be penalized for this type of behavior? I am appalled and saddened that I have to include a man in my affairs because I am not equal. And for headquarters each Kia is a independent franchise so they are not responsible for the dealerships behavior.
Think twice before get a Kia. “Did you have a gun pointed to your head when you signed the lease?” This is what the General Manager a Kia Internationals in Orland told me after some argument about the whole process with this dealer and how dishonest was the process. I agreed with sales people about buying a car advertised by a price. All good until go to finance and they say, I can’t give you that deal unless you do a lease which was never the agreement. I did sign the lease with certain “assumptions” that they said yes so I would buy the car after 3 months lease and later find out that it was not like that at all. Trying to resolve the situation somehow he tells me something like that above and “I am not just gonna sit here hearing you complaining”.Guess no matter how reason you are, a place that treats you like that doesn’t deserve to get your business. As soon they make the deal they don’t give you proper customer service including Kia Usa that I tried to address and they say they can’t do anything because they are not the owners of the dealer. Never had a Kia before and will be last time after this horrible experience.Joao **
We experienced our 2nd flat tire, seemingly on the same tire, but not sure. When we took the car in, with this flat tire, we were told they were unable to patch and patch and a new tire would be needed. Trouble is, all four tires were new and we had never changed any. The only tire ever attended to prior, was another flat tire we were told was also not repairable. So with 4 new tires, how could we have a patch? Apparently we were not sold a new tire the last time, and instead, replaced by a patched tire. Now they say they dont remember so it is our word against theirs. We are not happy about this.
I traded in my 2011 Kia Sorento (that I loved!) and purchased a 2015 Kia Sorento in July 2014. On November 7, 2014, my husband and I were driving to the dealership for an oil change and then headed out of town for the weekend. We were about 15 miles from the dealership, on a three-lane interstate in rush hour traffic going 70 mph when the engine killed without any warning. Luckily we were able to get to the side of the road safely. We were unable to start the vehicle yet, all the lights would come on. We called the dealership and they told us to call Roadside Assistance. We had the Sorento towed to the dealership. They said a tech would look at it over the weekend and offered the number to Enterprise Car Rentals. We rented (and paid for) a vehicle (A 2015 KIA SORENTO with the same amount of miles!) so we could continue on our trip. On November 10, 2014, the dealership called to say the engine had blown, they didnt know why, and had never seen this in a brand new car. My husband had to suggest that they offer a loaner car. As of today, November 17, 2014, I still have the loaner, supposedly the new engine has arrived at the dealership yet now they need to order a new starter because that died too after trying to start the vehicle when the engine died (??). I am NOT a happy Kia customer and am not happy with their product to say the least. Now I am tied into a hefty finance agreement for a substandard vehicle that has been out of commission for 10 days and counting. I wish I would have purchased a Chevy Traverse.
After purchasing a new Kia Sport and financing it through the Kia finance I have had one bad experience after another. I set the vehicle up on auto payment and that went fine for 1 month. After 1 month Feb 2016 I received a letter stating the payment was not made. I called and explain to the finance rep that it was set up on auto payment and that I even tried to go online and make the payment and I was not able. After some looking into the matter the rep informed me the car was totaled and they had some sort of insurance hold on it. I told them this was a mistake as the car was not totaled . After verifying insurance etc... they have not been able to successfully release the hold on this vehicle. It is now May 28th and I have called at least 10 times to resolve the issue with them with no success. Just a lot of promises to call me back, to get the issue resolved and still no success. They do not seem to have any clue how to resolve issue from department to department. Now after 3 months they are sending me collection notices and threatening letters. I have consistently attempted to rectify the problem and they are ineffective and lack any sort of resolution capacity. PLEASE KIA get it together. I refuse to pay another dime till I have something in writing stating this situation is your problem. I do not want my credit ruined because you put a hold on my vehicle by mistake. And furthermore what about the other party who totaled their vehicle. What misfortune has KIA perpetrated on them.
Recent purchase of a second-hand Rondo in Canada. So far the experience has been terrific. Price was fair according to all the comparison websites, generous warranty means I still am covered. Car appears solidly built. Very low servicing costs. Decent if not fantastic mileage. Loaded with useful options and very well designed. Dealer has been very accommodating and so far the relationship has been excellent.
I am an owner of Kia Rio 1,3/2004 and I am generally satisfied with it. There is only one problem. I must buy a new car key nearly every year. Car key is a wear off - grind in keyhole. This occurs because the key is made of brass and keyholes of steel. Service men know this, but they are powerless to solve this problem because every new elementary key is made of brass instead of steel.
Engine went out in my 2017 Kia Sorento. Kia will not honor warranty stating lack of maintenance because we cannot produce 2/5 oil change records they are asking for. Absolutely ridiculous that a car with 40,000 miles and regular mainline should have a failed engine.
We bought a 2013 Kia Sorento from Keffer Kia in Mooresville, NC. This car had 37,000 miles on it and it was burning oil. We took it to Keffer Kia and Kia recommended an engine change. We have a warranty that we pay for and Kia refused to cover it. These people are scammers they take your money and give you nothing in return. Kia wanted us to pay over $200.00 just to find out what the actual problem was so they could deny it. Never buy anything off of these people.
Update on 02/18/2019: Day 14 waiting for a resolution. Our car was taken in for service because of a check engine light being on twice. On the second inspection they determined that our transmission needs to be replaced. With the vehicle being less than 6 months old and just reaching 4,000 miles we were obviously upset. We waited for the first week asking to just have the vehicle replaced. Now Im not sure I ever want to do business with Kia again. So here we are 14 days later waiting for someone to let us know what they are going to do for us! Numerous emails and phone calls and NOTHING. It is becoming very clear that Kia is not willing to do the right thing at this point.Original: Buyer beware! My husband and I both leased new Kias in August. My Sorento needs a new transmission at less than 6 months old and at 4,000 miles. We are being told the transmission should arrive on March 10th. In the meantime I am paying a car payment on a car I dont have (at this point it is 11 days). If (big if) my car is done on time that means it will be there for 35 days! We have spoken with Randy ** (Kia consumer affairs lead escalated case) with no resolution. I have told Randy that I would like my car replaced with a comparable vehicle or a lease termination and refund. Randy is basically beating around bush without actually saying they will not do either. He would like to look into some type of goodwill. Really not interested in goodwill at this point. My family learned a valuable lesson about Kia and how much they value their customers.
I leased a Kia Optima from Kia of West Nyack NY. I had paid for lease & wear coverage ($449) because it was my first Kia. I wasn’t sure if I would lease again from them. Didn’t want to get hit with a high bill at the end of lease. So 3 years go by I return my lease. Get my cost $750 end of lease fees. Which would have been fine if the dealership didn’t pocket the $449. They never purchased the coverage. When I called the company to file my claim. The paperwork & brochures were from. They said they never worked with Kia of West Nyack. WOW bunch of crooks! They were selling the dealership & knew I wouldn’t know until 3 years later. This company didn’t make it right. Which tells me a lot about How they care about their customers. All I asked was for $250 of additional cost. The other monies I would have had to pay regardless. Don’t buy Kia!!!!
Where to begin. I scheduled an appointment at my local Kia dealership to have a recall fixed that I had received a letter about. The night I went to drop my car off it started making a knocking sound in the front end. I spoke with the mechanic who told me they would not be performing the recall because they believe it was part of an engine recall. Fast forward 9 WEEKS, yes I said 9. They tell me Kia denied the recall due to previous recalls not being performed. I call customer affairs and they state that I never had a recall done in 2018 that should of been done before the engine failing...First off I never received a letter stating a recall needed to be done in 2018 and the person who helped me even stated they had the wrong address on file. The only recall notice that said it needed to be completed was the one I took it in for. The fact that have terrible engines that is clearly known and there is a law suit over just tells you how terrible this company is. I have been without a car for 9 WEEKS! I work full time and have 3 children, no one could provide me with a loaner vehicle and now they are denying the recalled engine because of a notice I never received. I am completely disgusted with this whole situation. Kia Cooperation is shady and I will NEVER own another Kia.
If there is any attorney out there my last post is big. There was a Engine recall due to the engine creating oil sludge. Hundreds of people out of a car and accidents due to the car locking up and shutting down. Consumers are being told its due to lack of changing oil.
My car has 105000ks. I have had it serviced regularly. Around town it doesnt seem to burn oil, both when I take it for longer drives the oil consumption is excessive, I needed 2 quarts for 600k. I have had it examined and nobody seems to understand why. I cannot drive the car farther than 50k as I do not trust it. I contacted Kia but they told me I am on my own.
This is the second time in less than a month I am in the service dept getting a coil replaced and its the third time in a year that its happening. Dont buy a Kia Soul.
Nothing but harassment and terrible customer service. We purchased the Kia Soul in 2011. We love the car and havent really had any problems with it at all. Our nightmare comes from Kia Motors Finance. After being laid off of a job we had to survive on my wifes check. She has recently had knee replacement surgery putting her out of work and reducing our income to that of a disability check. Needless to say, it has become a struggle to make ends meet from month to month and our payments have suffered. Kia claims they are willing to work with us on the matter but by that they mean constant harassing phone calls demanding money. After finally getting another job, we are able to start working on catching up on our payments. However, we woke this morning to discover our car is gone.Time and time again I have tried to explain our situation to Kia Motors Finance. Time and time again it seems my words have fallen on deaf ears. The only work with you method these people know is the constant barrage of phone calls (several calls a day) asking when we can send payments and even more ridiculous, how much we can send. Even after managing to send a total of $700.00, we continued getting these calls. The associates are rude and unwilling to actually help anyone. They speak to customers with the attitude that we are being a bother to them or they have something better to do than talk to you about your situation. My intent to send another $550.00 payment has come to a halt with the disappearance of our car. If someone isnt actually willing to work with us and I lose my job because of no transportation, Kia will not see another penny of my money which is of no consequence to them being a multi-million dollar company. My late payments are not going to send these people spiraling into bankruptcy. After this car gets paid off I will never buy another Kia again or recommend it to a friend not because of the quality of the car, which is excellent, but because of the poor quality of customer service at the finance department. They need to re-think their methods of customer service or re-train their representatives whose lack of compassion and inability to listen to their customers is a large, oozing stain on their reputation.
My air bag light came on while driving so I took it to the dealer. I was informed the sensor was bad on the track on the passenger side and had to be replaced. None of my airbags works due to this problem. It is going to cost me over $600 to fix this because my extended warranty does not cover it and I am 5,000 miles over 60,000 miles or it would have been covered. Are they serious? My extended warranty they sold me is not even with Kia. Something is seriously wrong and I think Kia should be checked on this air bag issue also.
I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento from Drivetime in October 2018. In less than a year my cars engine seized up in August 2019, due to a recall dating back to 2014. My car was towed to kia and stayed there for a month, in that time I was not offered a rental car but had to pay out of pocket for one, A bill that exceeded $1,000 not to mention I had to continue to pay the car note on a car I didnt have. I received the car back in late September and was directed to the kia.com website to file my reimbursement claim. The claim took two months to process and yet here we are in January 2020 and I still dont have the money in which I provider full documentation for. The customer service line is the worst, they seem to have little to NO KNOWLEDGE on whats going on. Its ridiculous. I wouldnt recommend this company to ANYBODY!!!
I leased a 2019 Stinger GT after turning in my Optima a year early. I leased the car on 12/18/18. Within the first 30 days my rear defroster made a popping noise and shorted out. I took it back to the dealership and they supposedly fixed the issue. On May 14th on my way into work the car made the same noise. I called the dealership to have it looked at again. I got into my car after work, within a few minutes I could smell smoke and pulled over on the side of the highway. I opened the hatchback to see the rear defroster compartment melted away and then flames shot out of the hole. Within 4 minutes the car burned down to the frame. A formal investigation was completed with my insurance company, Kia, and the NHTSA.Kia accepted responsibility for the fire. They bought the car back from the insurance to hide a fatal flaw in the car. After weeks of failing to return numerous calls and emails to Kia attempting to understand what the next steps are, we finally received a call stating that they were willing to reimburse us for the contents in the car- WHICH THEY HAVE to do. After several more phone calls and emails, a supposed manager named Jeff **. contacted us (of course they have no email address, last name or phone number). After going back and forth he offered to refund us the $2000 we put down on the car only 5 months earlier stating it was the cost of ownership! After asking we found out that if we accepted, we would have signed off our rights to any future actions. The fire department told me the only thing that saved my life was that I can a full tank of gas so it did not blow cause of the lack of fumes. I was minutes away from picking my 6 year old daughter from school. The fire started right under where her booster seat was. Do not buy this car as it can easily kill you.
The Car is Kia cerato 2011 with identification number of KNAFW411BB5369214. The purchase date was15-7-2011 and the number of kilometers is 9000. The car has been received on 15-7-2011 from the main branch (Abu rRwash, Cairo /Alex. Desert road) and after one month from using the car, it was noted when two persons ride on the back seat that a crack sound in the suspension system is heard. I went to Kias agent Elgendy 3S Elmahalla Elkobra branch to solve this problem and accordingly, after the maintenance, the sound disappeared. After five days only from the maintenance, the sound comes back again. As of now, I went six times to Kias agents and every time sound disappears and comes back after 4-5 days from maintenance. I have sent more than one complaint to the Egyptian International Trading & Agencies Co. and until now the problem is not yet solved. Upon this, I have advised all of my friends and relatives not to buy any Kia cars as bad after sales services increase customer dissatisfaction and negatively affect Kias sales and reputation. Finally, I need my problem to be solved; otherwise my car needs to be replaced. Thanks and kind regards.
05 Sorento - Ive replaced the crankshaft sensor twice now, and its not in need of a 3rd sensor. The dealership says its out of warranty since it is 4 months past the 12-month date. Ive also replaced the transmission once, the headlights 6 times, the ball joints twice, & I still have vibrations in the rear end from the transmission! Ive contacted consumer affairs (which did nothing); they gave me a complaint number and said thanks. Ive filed a complaint with BBB, and now I am not sure what to do with this POS car.
I have been driving a 2009 Kia Spectra for about two years now. The carpet gets wet every time it rains & there are puddles under the doors. I also noticed a sloshing sound when I drive coming from under the car. I took it to Castruccis Kia dealership in Miamisburg Ohio to have the leak checked out. They said they tried to get water into the car by putting it in the car wash but it did not leak. They replaced the seals anyway but they obviously replaced the wrong ones because water is still getting into the car soaking the carpet causing mold to grow. I also noticed that the car is lunging forward and racing when I come to a stop sometimes. Castruccis refuses to fix the problem with my car & will not return my calls. Does anyone else have problems like this with their Kia? I did see on another website that a few others were having similar problems & it was not just with Spectras.
For two days my new vehicle with only 23000 miles was having trouble starting. The second day was a Saturday. Since this happened to me after 5pm on a Saturday there was no one at the service department. I spoke with an operator who had NO IDEA how to help me or who to direct me to. Frustrated, she directed me the 24 hour road side assistance. I called them and they too were unhelpful. They told me the only thing they could do was tow my vehicle. I said, My vehicle is running at the moment, so where would you tow it to? I asked if road side assistance could come check my battery and was told NO, the ONLY thing they can do is tow your vehicle. Since that would be of no help, I drove to an auto zone. Within 2 minutes a representative from their store was helping me and CHECKED THE BATTERY, which was DEAD. Having no choice but to replace the battery AND no assistance from ANYONE AT KIA, I had to purchase one from AUTO ZONE. Once home, I learned the battery is covered under warranty. Auto Zone would not take the battery back as it had already been put in. I was told that you might be willing to offer the customer service I did not receive in the beginning by refunding the money I spend on a battery. I called my customer service representative and he told me his hands were tied. What kind of service is this? Does KIA care more about $119 than customer service?!? I bought a KIA thinking that the customer service and vehicle would be better than those I have had in the past. So far, I am not thrilled with my purchase.
Thinking it was normal warranty work, I went to Pence KIA to get my 2010 Kia Soul (with a little over 30,000 miles) have its rear wiper motor looked at for a grinding noise it was making. I was told that it was an adjustment and lubrication issue and is not warranty covered. KIA installed a motor on the car with admitted insufficient grease inside the motor and would be deemed a defective manufacturing issue. Now, they do not want to honor their obligation under their warranty saying it is an adjustment and lubrication issue, which I need to pay for. Below is the TBS issued by KIA where they admit to insufficient grease inside the wiper motor.“Visibility: rear window wiper/washer: Kia: service action - rear wiper squeal noise repair (sa026). Provides information relating to some vehicles that may experience a rear wiper squeal noise when operating. This concern is due to insufficient grease inside the rear wiper motor. 2010 Kia Soul Technical Service Bulletin 2010/01/01 NHTSA #: 10033669, Service Bulletin #: TSB-054.”
We truly enjoy this car. It has great fuel efficiency, very big on safety features, and roomy. My husband is 6 4 and very comfortable in it. It has a great ride and picks up on speed with no hesitation.
My wife and I had a horrible accident when our Kia Carens turned over 4 times and insurance estimated its total loss. The air bags never opened and accordingly, we have various serious bone fractures. My jaw is broken and I have to be operated on in 2 days time.
Purchased a new Kia Soul 2010 in Antigonish, NS. Fantastic dealership there. We wanted the burner model, but they only came in one color, so they custom made a green model as a burner for us. Moved to Charlottetown, PE and it all went downhill. The gas mileage was horrendous in the car, about 15L/100km. Took it to the dealership and they told us the following. The air filter needs to be replaced. All the fuel lines are good. The mechanic however did not check the plugs because he would have to take the engine cover off. They wanted to charge us quite a bit of money to proceed from there. I declined, I can replace an air filter myself. Purchased and ready to install. I then notice my engine cover is missing. Two bright and shiny holes where the 2 10 mm screws would hold it in place twinkling in the sunlight. Whaaaaaaat? Note: for the record, I know it did not come with one factory installed, it was aftermarket. So I call Kia up and ask where my engine cover is. They say I didnt have one. Wait for it! But.. You told me that YOU DID NOT CHECK THE PLUGS because of the engine cover. So whats the deal? Where is my cover? I even provided a picture of it to them. They said they did not have it. Grr.... So I then asked, if I never had one (I did) why would I be told you did not check the plug because of it, which is absurd because 2 10 mm screws take approximately 45 seconds to remove. The service manager told me repeatedly that my car never came with one and he doesnt know why they would tell me that. I lodged a complaint with Kia directly and all they would say is that they were aware of the incident. No apology, no offer to replace my cover.Skip ahead 1 year, car taken in for inspection. Was told the rear rotors needed replacement, they wanted 400$ to replace them. I said no, I can replace them myself. I pulled the wheels off and the rotors were fine, no scarring. I had already purchased new ones so I put them on, changed the brake pads and took the car back. They checked the car and now the front ones needed replacing. I said the hell and I took the car to a brake specialist where he will turn bad rotors on a lathe to fix them. NO ISSUES FOUND WITH THE ROTORS.I took the car back to the dealership and told them who I had check them. They then said oh, yeah they are fine, but your tires need to be replaced. I told them to put the passed inspection sticker on the car, the tires have the appropriate thread on them and that they need to stop the ** with fake issues. They put the sticker on the car. So as it stands now, I am out $80 for the after market engine cover and $100 on rear rotors I did not need. Thank you Kia Charlottetown, I think I will buy anything but Kia next time. So in the end, I am out an $80 after market cover.
Why did my valve stem for my 2010 Kia Soul break? This will cost me $200.00 to replace. I love driving my little Kia. I was told Montgomery Kia/Chevrolet Preston Hwy Louisville KY personnel that, it is not covered under bumper to bumper warranty. They said that it is manufacturing defect and it was not broken by them. The stem is not covered by the warranty. A reason why it broke is that a long stem air hose chuck was used to replace the air. Individuals wiggling the long extension air chuck can bend and break off the computerized air valve. I believe in keeping good air pressure in my tires saves gas and tire wear. I believe that whether I had used or service attendant had used a shorted air stem chuck on this valve stem to this tire. It still would have broken off. And when the air hose extension chuck used on this tire, air hose was removed for air stem of this tire, the stem came with the extension chuck. This tire on the driver side front has several times registered air pressure was low on my dash lights the last six months. The tires on vehicles sometime lose air pressure. The weather changes from normal temperatures to lower cold temperatures.I was told by one of Montgomery Kia technicians that this is manufacturing defect of the company that makes this computerized valve air stem. While I was making an appointment with the dealership to replace the defective stem, the air stem on this tire had lost air pressure while my Kia Soul was in motion on the highway. This would be considered a blow out. As my Kia Soul was sitting still, the tire went flat immediately.I have very good records of service done on my Kia, which all recommends service checks have been done at Montgomery Kia. The manufacture defective valve stem broke and deflated at car service station. I had them replace the air stem with regular valve stem, which since 2008 most vehicles have this feature letting you know when tire pressure is low. This is a very good feature on my Kia. By the way, if anyone has a Hyundai 2008-2012, you have the same computerized valve stems in your tires like mine. Valve stem on a tire before 2008, you basically had to rip up the metal rim of a tire or unscrew the core of valve stem out for a tire to go flat, not because the valve stems were manufactured with defect parts. The computerized valve stem to me has alloyed (metal) fatigued. I believe in safe lighter vehicles, but you need dependable tires, rims and valve stems on the vehicles. If your engine blow-up, you will come to a rolling stop. If your computerized valve stems break on one your tires, you may be in an accident. If this manufacturing defect from a company that produced this computerized valve stem to me, should this be a recall from Kia. How many vehicles that are on the road that this company manufacturing defective computerized valve stems? How many Fords, Chevrolets, Hondas, Toyotas and Kia on the road today?
My 2012 Sorento w/ keyless entry has intermittent starting issues. Sometimes it cranks over fast and starts immediately. Sometimes, intermittently, it will groan, have a voltage drop that resets the A & B trip odometers and struggles to turn over. On three occasions, weeks apart it has failed to start at all. It just grunts. Thinking the obvious, a weak battery, the voltage reading from the battery posts (not under load) is still good. 12.5 to 13.2.. With a meter connected during the first second of cranking the voltage drops down to 1.9 volts and the trip odometers are zeroed out. Could this be a defective relay failing to cut all accessory loads during cranking, or a bad starter motor pulling significantly more amps that it should or a bad battery. The volt meter when driving at 40 mph reads about 14.3v. Thanks for your opinion.
I have also had major problems with city gas mileage and they refuse to acknowledge. When they do the consumption test, they drove it primarily on highway and/or under optimum conditions and are claiming it got over 30 MPH average. But I have been keeping records nearly since I purchased the car and can show my gas mileage has consistently been less than 20 MPH. I am also having problems with my car doing weird things when shifting from reverse to drive, and again, they are claiming they cannot replicate. And finally, the car computer evidently has issues, as unusual things regularly happen with the heating/air system randomly switching itself into a different mode than I left it and the audio system switching mode and channels (reverting back to the lowest FM channel as would happen if you took out the battery). Bought my car at Dulles Kia in Leesburg and have received the worst possible service, especially from the service Manager who accused me of lying and told me he believed from the beginning there was nothing wrong with the car. But I bet if I wasnt under warranty and took the car in with the exact same issues that theyd be jumping to fix all my issues.
My wife and I currently have a Kia Sedona ex and we have had more problems with this van than I have ever had in my 38 years. The parts to be replaced are average price but to get them put on cost so much because of the placement. In order to get to just about any part you have to take something else off or apart or have small hands in order to get around something else. Its ridiculous.
My family bought a brand new Kia Sorento from this dealership 7 months ago and it almost took their lives on the highway when the car suddenly stalled and stopped. We had our car towed to the dealership and they told us that the alternator was the problem and that our mechanic had spilt oil into it and it wasnt a warrantable item. We choose to not to believe them and had the car towed out and the alternator inspected and we found out that it was a failed part that they dont make any more for Kias. We sent the alternator to them after they told us to, to show them that they were putting peoples lives in danger and that they should have warrantied it and paid for it but instead they call us and tell us no. Instead of taking care of us they keep spinning this around trying to take advantage of us just so they do not have to pay. Keep your family safe and dont bother buying a car from here. Were not gonna give up. Were gonna make sure to fight this cause this is a crime.
Last July we bought a new 2014 Sorento LX. Its a great vehicle, we love it except for one thing, the AM part of the radio sounds terrible. Its so fuzzy, raspy, its difficult to listen to. Ive taken it back to the dealer 3 times for service. The radio has been swapped out along with some circuit board at the base of the antenna. No change. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix for it?
I bought a 2012 Kia Sorento in last November. After few months later, I found out that there was something wrong with my car. The driver seat front door was stuck and could not open (occurred 3 times). I took the car to the dealer in May with a regular oil change, and they said that the motor at the front door was malfunctioning. I never knew there was motor to open the door. They ordered the part at the time, and still waiting. During this period, the door was stuck twice, and I am frustrated with the situation. How long will it take them to get the part to fix the car? Where is the satisfied service with such ad? I dont know what to do? Will they take the responsibility if something happens to me or my wife if the door does not work under such emergency? Yes, I am frustrated and angry about their service.
I had made mention to the sales manager, Nick **, after I had purchased my KIA Soul (2013) new(!) that I had this rough idling when I am at a stop light and/or a stop sign. I was told to make an appointment with their Service Dept. which I did on Jan. 10th. At first, I was told they couldnt find the issue (just idling, not in gear), but I explained to them they need to be in gear, drive it, and at a light - this would follow in just a minute. They did say that it did do this, and did a diagnosis to see if they could pinpoint the issue. But having to see what KIA would come back with, Bert who did this, the Dealership Crown KIA Service Dept told Matt who contacted me, that this was a normal operation for this type of engine? And now, nothing, it seems to be direct on how this was going to end or follow up for a fix and/or repair? Case # is ** and the contact person Ive been dealing with is Melinda. The dealership now tells me there is nothing to do or repair according to KIA manufacturer. Ive driven other Souls at other dealership, and they dont do this? Im just asking to have this fixed, as this is not the way the car should run.
2011 KIA SORENTO SPORT - Purchased this vehicle less than a year ago and have had transmission issues with it a few times. Now my check engine light came on, I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone...
We have a 2013 Kia Sorento we bought in 2012. Last year my wife informed me 3 different times that when she would back out into traffic after picking our children up from day care, the SUV would stall. It was inspected by Kia a few times. They were not able to find anything wrong. They took out the electric starter thinking that was the problem and put a new one in. We had no issues until this year when my wife backed out and almost was rear-ended. I went in to Kia and spoke to the manager where we bought the Kia. They informed me that they dont know what the problem is. They are not able to reenact the stalling, so nothing happens. What is frustrating is I called Kia Canada and all they can do for us is Record the issues that I have had, nothing else. What is it going to take, for my wife to back out into traffic and be rear-ended after the Kia stalls? I have a 3 and 7 year olds still in car seats. As a Father and husband, my blood boils to think that they have no idea what is causing this which puts my family in imminent risk. And having a factory warranty that is no good to me? My family is everything to me. I feel trapped as I cannot afford to lose 10 to 12 thousand dollars if I sell. I cannot justify selling the vehicle to someone else as I cannot, nor will be responsible if the vehicle stalls and someone gets hurt or worse, killed. So I pray!!!
I am suffering because of my sunroof in my Cerato 2010. I went on 13/10/2011 to the agent in Cairo to fix my sunroof, but till now, they are telling me that the spare part is not found (I think the problem is the roller). I am very frustrated and I hope to fix this problem with an agent in Egypt sooner. Thanks for the help.
Kia lost a payoff and now wants more money. Kia provided a payoff good through 7-11-16 in the amount of $30,314.32 for Francia **, which was sent and we have a signed receipt for the FedEx package #** on 7-11-16 by someone at KIA. The package was delivered to Payoff Department Kia Motors Finance box 650805 1501 N. Plano R. ste 100 Richardson TX 75081. They have not processed the payoff, and now they are requesting a payoff for $30,625.73 good through 10-8-16. We are asking that they honor the payoff that was quoted on July good through 7-11-16 for $30,314.32.
We will never buy a Kia again. We have a 2011 Sorento and the 100,000 miles or 10 year warranty only applies to the first owner. We bought the car at 1 year old with only about 18,000 miles on it. The second owner warranty is only up to 60,000 miles. The transmission failed a little over that. I started looking and found the Kia Sorento does have a lot of transmission problems. They are fixing some of the 2-wheel drive Sorentos but as of now, not the 4-wheel drive. We took it to the dealer and was told they may do a good faith fix. Of course they came back with a NO. We had no choice but to pay $2400 to fix it. I have also read that people are on their 3rd transmission, so I can see why Kia only guarantees it for 12 months. They know it be break again, so we will sell it very soon. I find this completely unacceptable for a well kept 3 year old vehicle.
The 2006 Kia Optima has 97,000 miles. Now, it has a transmission problem. Kia wants to pay for labor only and stated the transmission fluid used is not in the handbook. Manufacturer sent list to show that the fluid is for Kia. Still, they are refusing to pay. I told the Kia dealer to go ahead and fix the car, but I still like Kia to honor its warranty obligation. Please help.
After owning multiple Hyundai and Kia products, I wholeheartedly recommend Kia and Hyundai vehicles - they are an excellent and innovative cars. Great style, great warranty. Excellent dealers and customer service. I would recommend Kia to anyone and would purchase again.
I was introduced to the Kia brand from a friend of mine. She had owned several Kia’s and absolutely loved them. I was very pleased with my Kia Sedona and used it to haul my children around for quite some time. In 2019 my husband wanted to get me something a little smaller because the kids were getting older and we didn’t necessarily need all the room the Sedona offered all the time. He found a 2017 Kia Sorento at Kia Southside. It was in great shape, had slightly less than 30K miles on it, and it had a third-row seat. It was a beautiful car, but I didn’t really “need” it. I was perfectly content with my Sedona and they couldn’t get the payment down to where I was comfortable. BUT, they had my keys. It was late, I was tired and I wanted to go home. I tried to get my keys back twice. The second time, they were laying on the counter and they stopped me from grabbing them and suddenly all the numbers worked out. That should have been my first red flag! My husband bought the car and we were happy. Until we weren’t…It is now December 2021 and my car is in the shop. I got an error light and took it to my trusted mechanic. He told me that something in my engine has broken loose and blown a hole in the valve cover. He advised me to have it towed to Kia because “Kia owes you something” and that he’s “never seen anything like it” with less than 60K miles on an engine. My car wasn’t due for service again for another 900 miles.I had the car towed to Kia Southside. My service manager advised me that I did have an extended service package/warranty for 100K miles/10 years. He said that they would diagnose it and then have a Fidelity inspector come out to see if it would be covered. He later told me that I had a 50/50 chance because my engine had sludge in it and “they don’t like sludge”. He told me to prepare to show them my service records. Fidelity did deny my claim so my service rep gave me the phone number to call them.I spoke with Fidelity and they said I was denied due to sludge. They were not interested in my records or situation at all. To clarify the situation, I said to the Fidelity rep, “So what you’re saying is service records, or no service records, it doesn’t matter. If there is sludge in the engine, you don’t cover it”. He said that my statement was correct. I asked him how they would know how the sludge got there, as I am the second owner. He said that there is no way to tell if there is sludge unless someone was to take the engine apart. He agreed that the sludge could have been in the engine before I even owned the car. It appears to me that “sludge in the engine” is a convenient catch all to not honor warranties. The Fidelity rep advised me to contact Kia Consumer Affairs.I called Kia Consumer Affairs, explained my situation, and basically the representative told me to call Fidelity. I told him that Fidelity told me to call Kia. He advised me that my 5 year/60K Kia warranty was up and I should pay for the repairs myself. He seemed thoroughly annoyed by my request to speak to a supervisor, but finally said, “They’re just going to tell you the same thing!” and put me on hold. I waited for a bit and then found myself dumped into a supervisor’s voicemail. I did receive a call back from Kia Consumer Affairs. He left me a 32 second voicemail stating that his associate was correct and my warranty was up.So here I sit, with a 2017 Kia Sorento with less than 60K miles on it, with a blown engine and a car payment. I’ve basically used it to tote children back and forth. I don’t drive it hard and I really haven’t put that many miles on it. I don’t hate Kia cars. Simply put, I think I have a defect. I’m asking that Fidelity and Kia do the right thing, fix my car or give me a comparable one at no cost.
I purchased this car new, have done all maintainer to car. At 64000 mile air go out, told my condenser was hit by a rock. Have seen over 1000 complaints about this same thing. This is a big problem with design. Told its not covered because I am over the 60000 mile warranty!! This is bull. I own 3 Kia, just purchased a 2016 Sorento and I am going to design something to stop this. I have own many different cars and this is the first to have this problem! KIA NEEDED TO RECALL THEIR DESIGN ON THIS CONDENSER and put mesh shield to protect it. Very disappointed with KIA.
The last time I checked, kids still watch TV. Your ad just looks like you are trying to be cool, however, it just makes the company look careless. No one needs to hear that, and parents dont need another thing to explain. Do the right thing, and be a better leader for everyone! Correct the ad, so we can see your company be what you want it to be. Give your best, and youll be a winner!
It makes me sick to watch the sandman Kia commercial. My young daughters watched that. What is wrong with you people? It’s so degrading for women. Cant our children watch television without being bombarded by sex? Geez, its about a car, not about sex. It makes me sick. What have you become, numb to morals. Im the Virgin Mary, but we have to start drawing the line somewhere. I will never buy a Kia now, just for the fact of the commercial. I will do everything in my power to talk people out of supporting any company that does that.
Bought my Kia Rio in 2000 from Bert Ogden in Mission Texas. Had problems with the car stopping while driving the car. Worst experience in the expressway. Then I also had the problems with sludge on motor which end in overhauling engine then had the same problem with the car stopping while driving. Still 2016 trying to getting it fix, new alternator, new starter, overhaul motor, new battery and still having the problem. It’s just a piece of junk. Dont recommend this vehicle at all. Will never buy any Kia vehicles.
I have had my car in the dealership on several occasion. I have a 2014 Kia Cadenza. A very elegant car but it is misfiring and it vibrates like crazy on a cold start and a hot start. The service advisor is always nice and polite. But the service on my vehicle is horrible. Kia knows my vehicle is misfiring and vibrating like crazy its to the point where it Im moving in the car too it vibrates so bad. I work for a Kia dealership and if Kia tech will do me like this they would do anyone like this. I would not recommend anyone to purchase a Kia Cadenza. They are garbage. They look good on the outside but rotten on the outside. And I know they are trying to wait until my warranty go out so I would have to face this problem myself.
I bought a Kia Picanto with registration no. ** from Princess Crossing Franchise in Roodepoort, Gauteng on July 21, 2011. Up to date, I didnt receive the service booklet of the vehicle. Wayne **, the sales representative, promised on numerous occasions that in two weeks time I will have the booklet and that he didnt receive it from head office yet. I am a very proud owner of the Kia Picanto. And I want to keep the service schedule up to date. Can something small like a booklet turn into an issue? Please assist me.
My Kia Sedona has a lot of road noise. We have changed the tires and it hasn’t helped at all. I don’t know if it come from the doors and windows leaking or from the tires or maybe something else. The Kia service center is not open to helping with problems or getting things fixed.
I purchased a new 2011 Sorento against my better judgment, knowing a first year production is always problem prone. But I have had purchased many Hyundais in the past, and was used to great service, and knowing its the same company, I expected the same quality (WRONG). Coleman Kia in Ewing NJ has the most lying area manager and service department in the nation. They charge repairs to Kia, that they never repair, or even look at. Case at point: Ive had a bad door rattle in the passenger side door since purchase. Ive had the vehicle in for service for 5 times and the repair was charged but never done. The last time, I placed tape under the door to know rather, or not the door panel was opened. And guess what the service manager stated? The door was repaired but the tape was never touched. Enough said. Never, ever, again, would I ever purchase another Kia. My door still annoying like a rattle snake. But how does Kia allow itself to be continued to be ripped off. I would like to still have my door repaired, only 40,000 miles.
I bought my car at Enterprise. It had been a leased car and I feel like I got a fair price. Also, they got me financing which was great. Some weird things have gone wrong with the car, nothing serious, and Kia has taken care of the problems.
I just wanted to share my story. We bought a 2014 Kia. Shortly after my purchase I discovered I was charged $2100 extra for a service contract (100000 mile warranty). We put a large sum down on the car and would have only owed around $6000. When I checked my paperwork turned out I owed $8000. The dealer had charged me for an extended warranty that I didnt want. So I had to return in person to Cancel after almost two months - the dealer finally sent Kia finance a check for $2100 dollars. So I called Kia finance and ask them to adjust my payments - didnt owe as much money on the car and they told me they would not redo the payments because I agreed to the original payment. I had never heard of anything so asinine in my whole life. Turns out we had to get the car refinanced to lower the payment. What a bunch of rude jerks. They wanted me to pay the same payment on a lower balance!
I have a 2012 Soul with 43K miles. Last week the engine light came on and it started sounding like a sewing machine. I took it to the Kia dealership in Macon, GA. After only pulling the dipstick out, they determined that two litters had collapsed from starving of oil. With no service record because I change the oil myself (who can afford what a dealership charges?), engine repair/replacement is not covered under warranty. So they want $4,800 for a used engine with 6,000 miles or $7,800 for a remand engine from the factory. Its time Kia steps up to the plate and backs this crap theyre putting on the roads.
The Kia Rondo is a great car for a reasonable price. Its reliable, many features and unique styling compared to most other cars out there and for a lot less money. I hope the Koreans keep in the market because they have a good product.
I bought my KIA Sorento 2012 as a new vehicle, and have had way many problems than normally expected for the past few years, including safety problems. Car stopping suddenly on the road is a horrible experience with the family on-board, but it has happened twice even after their fix (First in 2014, Second in 2016). Major problems (Safety issue): Car became disabled while running on a high speed limit busy road in 2014. Dealership found an alternator failure and they replaced it. Car became disabled again while running on a road at night last Friday (February 26, 2016). The exact same symptoms as before; LED indicators began malfunctioning, accelerator stopped working, and Car lost its power while running.Other problems (Non-Safety issue): Battery replace twice with bad cells found. (Car keeps causing the battery to die.) Passenger power car seat stopped operating twice. Navigation keeps resetting (deleting all the saved addresses and settings). LED light indicators malfunctioning or stuck. Car is inherently bad or has some root causes for the problems, and so needs a more fundamental solution rather than fixing locally. This car is potentially very dangerous as the same safety problems keep breaking out, but KIA (Dealership, Headquarter) simply follow the warranty manual with the repeated problems.I asked KIA to either replace the car or replace the electrical engine board, but they refused. All Im asking is being able to drive the car with enough confidence that it wont stop on the road (and expose my family to a dangerous situation). Again, car being stopped twice suddenly on the road is a horrible experience, and KIA should deal with the issue more than just warranty, as there may be the same problems with their other cars.
I find it hard to believe that every dealer I visited to buy this particular model car are increasing the MSRP price of this car by thousands of dollars using a dubious practice call addendum sticker, I initiated a complain directly on the KIA website but all I received was an email indicating that someone will be in contact with me, that was back in late October 2019. As of today nobody has call me or email to address this serious problem.I understand that this is nice vehicle and people might want to pay a few hundred dollars more for it but thousands more is ludicrous and not acceptable. If KIA is allowing dealers to ripoff unsuspecting buyers all they doing is destroying their own brand as once the word gets out many buyers will simply stay away from buying this brand. I saw this happening in the early 1980s with Honda. I was a young father with 2 kids and needed an economical car, I ordered a 1980 Civic and when I went to pickup the car 6 weeks later the dealer increase the agreed price by 25% and I was told take it or leave it. Having waiting for so long for the car I end up paying gouge price. To this day I never bought another Honda.
I bought a K900 four months ago. The fuel injection was replaced within 2 months. I dont get the full mpg. No one will repair my car. Took it back to dealer and they wont even buy it back. Im $20,000 in the hole. The manager says K900 has no value.
We are writing this because of an incident that we had on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Valencia, CA Kia dealership (a.k.a. CA superstores KIA). During our visit, weve had a very difficult situation and inappropriate matter with one of the sales managers, Raldo **. At the beginning of purchase transaction (after weve mentioned about the final quote that the dealership agreed on), Raldo ** started yelling with anger and stomped out on us. Offensively, he doubted us about the price that the dealership gave us. This made us very uncomfortable and it was extremely rude behavior. We couldnt find any reasons of Raldo **s attitude. Weve never had such an unpleasant experience and being insulted before.Later, he came back and weve tried to tell him that we didnt appreciate his demeanor. However, he totally ignored us and walked away again for the second time without any apologies. It seems like his main focus was on something else, not selling a car. Weve requested his business card, but he refused to give it out and told us that he doesnt have it. Therefore, we are doubting his qualification as a sales manager. Absolutely, we found zero customer skills and business ethic from this person. We werent expecting a top service, but at least he didnt need to be rude. Based on todays bad experience, we believed that we are not the first and only customer who have received this type of treatment. Weve lost our time and effort.Unfortunately, we could not purchase the vehicle because of the above incident with Raldo **. We are very disappointed and will not recommend to any friends and/or family members about this Kia dealership and his service. Finally, we strongly not recommend this person to any future Kia customers.
I purchased a 2017 Kia Sedona from a Kia dealer in Queens, NY in 2017 with 50 miles. The car is perfect for my family of six as it is roomy and the LX model offered enough accommodations which made it easy to travel with five children. I was very happy with my vehicle and Kia until recently. I had an engine malfunction while driving on a highway with a relative and my children. It was New Years Eve 12/31/20, and I decided to take my sister and children shopping at a store that was about ten miles away. We live in the Suburbs which can get rural in some areas and in order to get to this one store, in particular, I had to take a highway to travel there. When I initially started the car I heard a rattling sound which I thought was due to the cold weather, however, as I drove off and drove further and approached the highway the car started to decelerate. After the car decelerated the car cut off while I was driving. In a panic, I started the car again and pulled over to the side. I had to repeat turning the car on, the car shutting off and decelerating, turning the car on, and drive ten miles to return back home. The very next day 1/1/2021 I had the car towed to the dealership that handled my lease buyout. The service manager was nice exhibited professionalism and willing to offer exceptional services to ensure that my car was repaired and that I understood the repair process. He informed of charges that would be incurred if the warranty was not covered by Kia. So everything at the dealer was done with professionalism and courtesy. The problem that I experienced with Kia was and is that they are not honoring the warranty. The Service Manager indicated that receipts were required to document oil changes performed on the 2017 Kia Sedona to ensure that maintenance was performed routinely. I provided receipts that were kept from service performed from Kia dealerships, however, was unable to produce enough receipts for Kia to honor the warranty. I contacted the Kia Customer Service which represents corporate, the customer services representatives I spoke with exhibited professionalism and advised me to try to get receipts of purchases of oil for any oil changes done outside of a service shop. However, I am unable to. So here I am one and a half months without a car, I am renting a car while paying my monthly finance bill, and I believe Kia will not honor my warranty because of lack of receipts of oil changes.I also find it ironic that I had the car serviced in November 2020 at a Kia dealership and they are not honoring the repairs. I hope that this issue is not an issue with the Sedona as I had around 65,000 miles on the car at the time the engine malfunctioned. I did check another website United States Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Administration where recently a consumer reported the same issue. I pray that this is not the beginning of an issue like Kia experienced with the Kia class engine failure class-action lawsuit in 2019. Although I love the Kia Sedona I probably will not purchase another Kia if the company does not offer reasonable solutions for this matter.
I have a 2011 Kia Sorento that acts like it’s not getting fuel or not changing gears. I took it into the dealership for this and they changed something in the shifter. For a few weeks it seemed fixed. When it began to act up again I called dealership and was told that I had brought my car in for a different reason and now that my warranty was up I would be required to pay for any service that I had done. I was asked what kind of light was coming on when the car acts up. I told them that no light comes on. Then I was pretty much told that I was stupid. If my car is doing like I was saying then there had to be a light on. My car just gets worse and worse. Sometimes it’s going along fine and then the rpm jumps to 5 or 6 and the car acts like its down shifting and doesn’t want to go. Then the rpm will drop below 1. Sometimes when you take off from a stop sign or traffic light it shifts really hard and makes a clunking noise like the transmission is going to fall to the ground. I too like a lot of others, chose the Kia for the great warranty, but when the dealership is always saying there’s nothing wrong that makes the warranty useless. Just because I’m female doesnt mean I’m stupid. And I dont like being treated that way.
I am writing about not only the troubleshooting of my vehicles (2008 Kia Amante) problem but also the quality of the maintenance. I will explain the events and concerns I have on the service and maintenance I received that I think were too costly, caused me to break down, several trips to the dealership that cause me unnecessary delays, missed family functions and wasted time. I had problems with my cars having a rough start which was out of context for this vehicle. I have never had problems in the past and it started up immediately upon turning the ignition. I made the call that it was the battery and decide to take it to the nearest Kia dealership (Pat Peck Kia) because I was new to the area and wanted to establish a relationship.I made the appointment (0800-24 July 2013) and upon arrival discussed the problem with person at the desk. I told the service advisor that my concern was the battery and she told me it could not be that? I said okay and they took it back to troubleshoot. I sat for 3 hours before she came back to tell me that the mechanics best choice after evaluation was that the TPS Sensor was bad. I was hesitant to accept this because I had no fuel/engine problems whatsoever but that it was hesitant to start. Again, I said I thought it was the battery going out. She informed me that they would order the part (cost: $362) and that I could wait for it. After another 1 hour she came back to tell me that they had to order the part and that they would call me when it came in. They said the work would take 1 hour.I received a call that the part came in and made the appointment to get the work done on 30 July @ 7:45 figuring the earlier the better. This time I had to wait for almost 5 hours. She came to tell me that the delay was due to the fact that the battery needs to be recharged. I asked if they should just change the battery and she said no they charged it up. Sorry but at this point I am VERY unhappy and dont really have the warm fuzzy that my car is fixed. I pay the bill, accept my car. The cost was $519 and the service advisor acted like I was getting a deal. I did not feel that way.The next day (31 July), I get in the car and it is doing the exact same thing. I am thinking that I just spent $519 and nothing has changed. I am scheduled at this time to go to a family luncheon and I did not feel safe that my car will get me there and back. At this point I am away from home, the car is off and when I try it will not start. Dead! I call the dealership and they said to have it towed. I elect to try to call my wife to come help me. I get the car started and take it to the dealership. They say that they will change the battery and that cost me another $50.42. I told them that I had a battery problem from the beginning. Now it brings into question the TPS sensor failure. I have been VERY pleased with my Kia Amante and would not trade it. I am very unhappy with the events that took place, the troubleshooting, repairs, cost and lost time.
The buying process of my 2016 Kia Sorento was great! I bought at Ourisman Kia of Chantilly in VA. I bought a brand new vehicle despite the fact that I absolutely LOVED my paid off 2002 Chevy Tahoe. It was giving me a lot of maintenance issues so I hesitantly said Ill buy new and save on repairs. All was great up until 5 months of having the car. It shut off on me twice out of nowhere. Both at red lights. I took it in for the scheduled oil change and so that this issue could be taken care of as well. The first response was We cant seem to find the issue. Would you like to take it home or leave it. Well of course I chose to leave it. A week went by no word other than they had to wait to get something back from Kia. After a month of being in a rental the matter was resolved. They had to replace the intake manifold (yes on a brand new car). 8 months later the car was acting up again. It would not accelerate and made a terrible noise along with rough idling. I took it in twice both times the dealer could not duplicate the problem so they couldnt do anything and I had to pick up or be charged for the loaner. All oil changes had been up to date via this same service shop. The car failed on me again a third time, I had it towed and after emails and text to the GM and service manager they were able to duplicate the issue. The ECM was then replaced (the car is a little over a yr at this point). I stressed again and again that I did not feel safe in this car. I am a single mother of 4 and work my butt off for a reliable vehicle and this vehicle was not it! I questioned if I had not been sold a lemon and that issue needed to be addressed. However both the GM and SM assured all was well now. I went on a 3 wk road trip right after this last visit at the end of June. Thankfully I made it problem free on my trip. But on my way home from NC on 7/24 the car overheated with no warning indications whatsoever. I was able to pull over to the shoulder before it just cut off on me. It was towed yet again (not even a month later) to the nearest dealer in NC. They have no idea why it overheated. Why so much work has needed to be done to such a new vehicle and informed me that the motor will probably need to be replaced. WHAT!!! I am so sick of this car and the dealer not caring at all that it was faulty from the start. I will be taking this up with an attorney and recommend not to buy KIA. I have been covered by its good warranty yes but that doesnt cover the safety of my kids or I. As far as the mechanics of the vehicle and the customer service when problem arise this purchase was not worth it!!
I think Kia has a problem with their rear end 2008 Kia Sorento. My car makes a lot of noise when driving, I had the rear end fluid change. Keep in mind that the Power Train Warranty is for 100,000 miles. I just have 43,000 miles on my vehicle. They said because I can not find the proof of having it changed, its my fault and I would have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. I read online that a lot of customers have the same problems with Kia Motors.
I bought this car in 2017 in September. Here we are in October of 2018 and it has a blown engine. I only have 95,000 miles on this car and bought it with 58,000. For such a new car you would think you would have years before any major issues. Car isnt even on any recalls. But here I am no car and still paying on this vehicle that is a new type of garden gnome now. I hate Kia vehicles and would never buy another ever again.
My 2014 Kia Sportage has had the same engine issue 4 times, forcing it to go into limp mode and has requiring a tow. Kia has assured us that it was fixed each time. This last time it happened 200 miles away, forcing me to drive out to pick up my wife. After the issue was fixed, we attempted to drive it back home only to have the same issue happen a mile down the road. Now Kia is refusing to provide us with a rental car during the time that the vehicle is being transported back to us, which could take up to 10 days. Being a family of four with two working parents, this situation is less than ideal. Kia has not proven to be reliable or trusted to make it right. They have owned the issue, but in the end they will leave you out to dry.
My car has been intermittently cutting off. The last incident was on Monday morning, it would not start - even though all the functions came on. Car had to be towed to the Dealer. Dealer confirmed that the car was NOT starting, and it was reverting to the default setting/test setting or something like that. They were looking into it. Well - they did not give me a loaner vehicle - even after repeated request, and the Customer Complaint service informed me that I need to secure transportation on my own and that he too has to do so for his own CHEVY.. talk about customer service that SUCKS!!Well, it is Day 3 - no calls from KIA to me, I am the one who has been checking on the status of my vehicle daily. The KIA rep supposedly came out yesterday but because they are not able to duplicate the error - they are unable to assist. So the bottom line, from the Complaints service Rep that I just spoke with is - Take the car, since it starts now... but we cannot guarantee it will not do the same thing. Also, Ive found online complaints where the KIA has just cut out while driving. This horrifies me, since I have young children and we have long commutes. I need some help, please.
Water Spots on a 2012 kia sportage - If anyone out there has an issue like this, please contact me. I would certainly like to know what to do about this.
I was looking for a car with great gas mileage, comfortable in seating 5 people, and would last for many years. I bought the 2009 Kia Spectra LE and had some reservations as I had always owned either a Ford or Chevrolet all of the years I had driven but the salesman indicated that the nitrogen tires increased the gas mileage. After owning it for 2 years I developed an air leak and kept taking it to the dealership to get nitrogen in the tire until they could get me in for service on the tire. I finally just started using air and found absolutely no difference in my gas mileage so I have since replaced all 4 tires with regular air tires.
I traded in 2012 Kia Soul for a 2015 Kia Soul Plus. I got the car in June and I have been listening to the 3 month free promotion of Sirius Radio. I did not even notice that my new Kia has no CD player, until the other day when I went to put in a CD. I was completely shocked. My 2012 Kia did have it and I thought that the CD player was standard. I was not told when I leased this new 2015 Kia that there was no CD player. I feel that the salesman should have pointed that out to me. I am extremely disappointed and now I am looking through stores to see if I can buy a portable one to put in my car. I understand that changes are sometimes made, but a change like this should have been brought to my attention when I leased this car. This is a feature, for me, that is very important.
I have a 2018 Kia, Sorento. I have been trying to get blind spot mirrors since the the day I purchase it in Nov. 2017. After being told by the dealers salesman, then parts department (Napelton Kia in Elgin, IL.,) I contacted KIA online. I had a chat with Alexis (Friday 6/29/18 at 5:14 CDT). When asked why I couldnt look up parts for my 2018 KIA Sorento, she replied that the parts department had not update (sp) them yet. I should contact their parts specialist sometime MON-FRI from 6:30 A.M.-5:00 P.M. PST. When I said that not having someone to answer parts questions all the time was archaic, the conversational attitude changed. I told her that I had purchased 2 new KIAs this year for cash, her reply was We do not accept cash, sir. You must be confusing us with the dealer. Of course I was talking about the dealer! I cant buy from the manufacturer! That doesnt change the fact that I spent over $40,000 with this company. All I got was the corporate run-around from them. Very disappointed and wish I had bought the Subarus I had been looking at.
I have a 2011 Kia Sorento with 82,000 miles that I have just been told has a bad rack and pinion. I have been told by 3 mechanics at various places that there have been multiple bulletins out about this issue with the rack and pinion with KIA Sorentos yet KIA will not cover the issue or have a recall! I think it is time to get the news media involved. There is something wrong with this!!!!!
Fantastic miles per gallon, roomy. After much research, I decided on the Kia Sorento. I have not been disappointed. A quiet ride & great gas mileage. There is a lot of cargo room, with storage in back. Hands-free option for phone. The turn signal lights on the side view mirrors are a great safety feature.
I owned a 2016 Sorento. On May 12, 2019 it inexplicably caught fire. It was towed to the dealership where it was purchased and the service department immediately took responsibility after inspection and since it was still under warranty they were about to begin repairs. Later that day, I was called by the Kia corporation in California (I live in Texas) and asked to give my oil change records. I normally dont keep my records and only had a few, but 2 of the last 3 had been at the dealership and the dealership had just done my Texas inspection 3 weeks prior to this. About 4 days later, Kia called and said that they would not cover the cost of repairs because I didnt have enough recorded oil changes. Our insurance couldnt pay because it was also determined by them to be a mechanical defect that was Kias fault. It was not anywhere in my warranty handbook (or any of their handbooks) that I was supposed to keep my records. I asked the lady (Ashley) about that and she said that it was implied. My father in law is a mechanic and sometimes changes our oil and his too. I wasnt sure why that oil changes would even matter if a vehicle caught fire. I am 51 years old and I have paid off and traded in multiple vehicles including 3 Kias. I owed over $9,000 on this Kia which I had to roll into my next car because the repairs were going to be $11,000. (New engine-minimal body damage).I have been blessed that this did not cripple us financially; but if we were younger and still struggling, it could have destroyed us. One of the reasons that I had purchased the Kias was because of the 10 year warranty. I feel that Kia was looking for any way to get out of their responsibility to pay. Kias own service department had already taken responsibility. It is most disheartening that some segments of society have turned to this. Needless to say I will never purchase another Kia again and if you do, be cautious on the warranty. They are not a trustworthy company at the corporate level. Since our incident, I read in consumer reports of over 290,000 other Kias spontaneously catching fire. I will continue my disagreement by bringing a lawyer into it.
I bought a 2021 KIA Stinger and they have an Important Safety Recall. I have been on the phone with the Service Manager at KIA in Frederick, Maryland a few times today and I have been on the phone with the KIA business office most of the day, trying to get a loaner car till they can fix my car which is not till Monday. They are REFUSING to give me loaner car. I have a fulltime job and a 3 year old and they are just flat out saying we will not get or give you a loaner car. I am so upset that they are holding me to get a rent a car for a RECALL they have. The service manager at the KIA in Frederick, MD is so rude and nasty she has no right being in the customer service field. I have never been spoken to as I have been spoken to today by both the service manager and the recall department at the business office. I have reached out to the BBB and I am now speaking an attorney just in case my car breaks out in flames. The paperwork clearly states the following Park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or stretchers until you have the recall performed. And they still will not give me a loaner. This is unacceptable. I hope anyone that is looking to buy a car stays clear from KIA automobiles.
Kia Sorento 2013 SX V6 - Nice vehicle as long as you stay on top of maintenance.
The guy who came to open my car door was efficient and awesome as soon as he arrived! Saved my day with my daughter! It was a terrible situation that ended very much appreciated. Locking my key in my car was a new experience for my 2014 Kia Forte. I was nervous about how they would do it but my Kia Roadside assistance was amazing and fast. No damage and friendly. We were at a shopping outlet about an hour from home. No one could bring my backup key to us so we were literally stuck. I did some googling and found Kia Roadside Assistance. Amazing experience. :) My daughter and I enjoyed the rest of our Labor Day together with my car key in my purse lol. :)
I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento 22 months ago. Driving a few days ago, the vehicle started making a very old noise, then a huge bang. Stop and the car hasnt moved since. No check engine light... no low oil like... no indication that anything was going wrong. I kept all maintenance and upkeep records. I had a log on the oil changes since my dad did them regularly. The engine locked up, Kia wants 6,500 dollars to replace. I purchased the extended warranty, the warranty company will not honor since the oil changes were not performed at a shop. Im on a very difficult place being I still owe on car and dont have 6500 dollars laying around to buy another motor... this is a known problem and they are doing nothing to fix it!! I have the warranty and they refuse to cover since my dad did the oil changes. They told me they dont have proof my dad actually physically put the oil in my car so they refuse to approve the repairs!!! This warranty coverage was not cheap either. I dont know what to do, Im a single mom, no reliable transportation to work now. Dont buy a Kia!!!
I cant believe all these people have had the same issue regarding their motor blown. I have a Kia Soul (2010) at 50,000 miles. Motor burnt up right in front of my eyes! No engine light, no oil light just pop... done! And as I read on and on, I see this is a very common issue. Dealerships are refusing to admit Kia has an issue with this and manufacturer refusing to pay under warranty. This is a class action lawsuit if I ever saw one! I am copying all of these complaints and if someone has already started one let me know. If not, Im on my way to do so. Enough is enough, email me with your story and we will need evidence so make sure you have all paperwork.
I bought my Sorento new, it is a 2009. Running loud. It has 77K miles and the diff. rear end is bad. I cannot believe there is not a recall as many complaints as I have seen posted on the net. There needs to be a class action lawsuit! It can lock up while you are driving or explode!!! How many people have already wrecked because they just thought it was just sounding a little loud. I really thought it was just my tires or something. This is going to eventually be a giant recall like Toyota had, but as we all know it takes a few people dying first. I will keep all you Kia owners in my prayers. As for me....I am going to trade mine in for a Honda while it at least looks like it will run!
This has been the WORST experience I have EVER had. I went through USAA to buyout my Kia from a lease. Two months later I start getting collections calls saying Im two months behind because Indiana is a dealer only state, and not only was I never informed, records indicate that Kia CASHED the check from USAA. They claim they issued a refund check to USAA but a week later, USAA still doesnt have it. Now I am paying two car loans, both of which are accruing interest. THIS IS ILLEGAL!
Bought a new Kia Soul six months ago for daughter. The car has rust spots all over back of car. They claim its due to the environment. We had to pay to have it detailed by them. We have bought plenty of cars. Never have we had this type of thing happen. I would never recommend buying Kia. Crap paint and crap company.
This pass Sunday I was driving on I-75 North to Gainsville to drop off my son for summer camp and the engine made a pull. Then all the sudden a big rattling noise. The car was always serviced by the Orlando KIA West Colonial dealer for Oil changes and for services. My car had clean oil in the pan. This happen on 6/12/2016 and today is 6/19/2016. They need a paper sign from the District manager and I am getting the runaround. I see how it goes... When you step in the show room, they promise you bells and whistles. Then when the time comes up for them to pony up, they drag their feet. This is my last time I will purchase a KIA car or a new car. What is the point... I see that some other people are having similar issues. Think before buying a KIA... Not a happy customer.
The Kia Sorento is my SUV and I just love it. Its roomy and drives well. Being older I like the fact that the car is high not one of those low cars. And being so high I have a better view of the road. I also like that the back seats can be put down to make more room for storage and there is a rack on top of the car for extra luggage or storage as well. What I dont particularly like about this car is the fact that the tires on this car are quite large and expensive. And if you need repairs its quite expensive due to the fact all the parts are under a protective cover that requires taking off the cover. So if you need to brake fluid this cover needs to be removed by a mechanic. But other than that, the Sorento handles quite smoothly when driving.
I have put up with 5 years of extremely poor customer service and vehicle service with KIA, Northland, Calgary. I have completed numerous surveys outlining my negative experiences and have never heard back once from KIA Canada. This last issue started on May 22, 2014, when I brought my car in for regular maintenance and to get the the defrost fixed as no air was blowing through the defrost vents. When I left I was told they had to order a part. I brought my vehicle back on June 13th. It was in the shop all afternoon. When I picked my car up I was told it was all fixed and right on the invoice it states retested all good. When I got in my car it was exactly the same, it was not fixed at all. Shane, the manager, came out and had a look and witnessed that the defrost was not working at all, no air was coming from the defrost! He changed a very dirty filter in the glove compartment. Of course I was very angry that I was told it was fixed and it was not, as the previous year I had the exact same experience but that time I had to bring my car back 3 times before it was fixed. Twice I was told verbally and in writing on the invoice, the problem was fixed when it was not. That is another KIA experience for another time. At this time I was told they would order every part possible to ensure it get fixed as now they are not sure what the problem is. So Shane said they will call when the part the comes in which should be within the next couple of weeks. I did not hear back from KIA at all. Finally I called KIA on Tuesday, August 26th (almost two months later) and spoke to Shane. He stated he would find out what was happening and call me back later in the day or first thing the next day. No return call, I finally called on Friday August 29th at 5 PM. I had to leave a message as all agents were busy so I left a very pointed message that I expected a call back regarding my issue. Their message indicated they were open till 5:30 PM. I did not get a return call from Shane until Monday at which time I was told the part would be in Tuesday or Thursday for sure and he would call me on one of those days to set up a time to come in. NO RETURN CALL YET AGAIN. I called today Monday, Sept 8 at 4:30 PM and spoke to Shane. And yes I was beyond angry, it is now snowing and cold and I have no defrost in my vehicle. I Do not believe the part was on back order. I do believe they did not order the part. Even if it was on back order not once was I contacted over the summer nor were calls ever returned as promised. I have had to initiate every contact during this whole issue. This does not really surprise me as the last 5 years (for warranty) I have dealt with much of the same and worse. I will never buy another KIA based on the horrible customer service and the apparently incompetent mechanics they employ. After all this time I even question whether or not the maintenance they say they do is actually done.
I was at your website, OxenDaleForThePeople.com and it sent me here. I am sad to say that after sending you a letter about a bad deal we received from your Prescott Valley dealership, we gave them another try and got yet another bad car! On Saturday, August 4th, we bought a Kia Rio. On Monday, August 6th, I was stranded on the side of the road in Phoenix in an area I had never been before with a dead car. As it turned out, the engine seized. After having 2 more engines put in it - both of which either seized or didnt drive above 40 mph - we still have no vehicle. After asking to have our money and car back, we were blown off and told that the warranty company was providing us with a rental. We dont want a rental. We simply want this nightmare to be over so that we can find a reliable and trustworthy vehicle from a trustworthy dealership. I would like to get this resolved and have a happy outcome for everyone. As a teacher, I do not have a lot of money and definitely do not have any extra money! Buying that car used my entire savings and I have nothing in return except for another bad experience at your dealership. I will never buy or allow anyone I know to buy from this company again, ever! They tell you in the commercials that they inspect every vehicle. We now know it is to make sure a customer can drive it off the lot so they can pass it off to them and say, too late, its yours!
I have to do work on my car from time to time. The last car was not safe for my little one to ride in, so I went and bought a brand new car. I thought that buying a NEW car, I would not be getting someone Elses problem! In December, my car started needing a jump, then it ran good for a while and then I heard a clicking that sounded like it was coming from the battery area. It has started blowing out air when the air is turned off. The clicking and blowing air seems to come together. Now I hear this while driving. I am rethinking buying the NEW KIA Rio for the safety of my child. Dont worry now there is a popping noise coming from the wheel area? If anyone has any thoughts or ideas, please help! Im the first owner but KIA says they are not sure what it is and Ill have to pay. HELP, please from a loving mother to another loving parent, grandparent, or anyone kind enough to help. People are buying these cars for their family, wife, or kids and it looks like they may not be safe for anyone. I think it is safe to say no KIA I have ever seen gets the gas mileage they claim. I paid off my car but do not plan to buy another KIA no matter what! Please stop buying or try to stop them from selling before they kill people with these unsafe cars!!!!!!!
I went out to my car for an afternoon meeting and the material on my console was melted in a spit. It was clearly melted. I parked in the sun that day but it was only 69 degrees out. I went to a meeting earlier that day at 1100 and it was fine. I called Kia in Liberty Lake, WA and reported it and told me it wasnt covered under my bumper to bumper warranty because it didnt melt all the way, just in a spot. They refuse to even submit it to Kia out pay to cover it. My $25000 purchase shouldnt melt for any reason. I do not recommend ever buying a Kia. They lure about their warranties and try to get you to pay. I am more filing out under the Lemon Law.
Having trouble starting, dies on me after it sits for three or four hours, will start again then sometimes it crank over but not start. Then while driving it will just die on you. It will crank over but will not start. It will takes several tries to start, sometimes up to 10 times then drives like nothing happen. I bought it used from Kyle Chapman Motors in Buda. They have had my car for a month trying to fix it. They put used starter on, made a noise then they say it was not lining up with flywheel. They order one from Kia abd, flywheel and clutch - all of this I get back for one day then radio was out then fixed it. Get it back, made it a mile from Chapman Motors and died on me. They have it again. Now order a crank sensors for it. I just do not know what to think. This has cost me 1,437 and still not fixed.
While traveling north on I95 toward Jacksonville, Florida (about 500 miles from home) we noticed an engine noise which became increasingly louder within minutes, followed by a loud noise, and what sounded like metal object flying off the underside of the car then a burst of smoke from the engine which got blacker and bigger. We pulled off the highway as soon as there was a chance and got out of the car. It was smoking and I was afraid it was going to catch fire as we could feel the heat from the engine. We called a tow truck and waited. When it arrived we had it towed to the nearest Kia dealer in Jacksonville. It was early evening and the dealership was closing so we told them the problem and left the car and headed back to Port Saint Lucie, home, to await their findings. This was on Friday 13, 2016. The next week we were told that the engine was not repairable and that it appeared to be an engine internal problem. We were told that because it was still under manufactures warranty it would probably be covered. About another week passed and we called to find out progress on car and was told new engine had to be ordered. So we waited. When we called back the third week were told they did not order an engine because Kia manufacturer denied the claim, stating problem was sludge buildup due to poor maintenance. This was not true. So we gathered our service records and turned them in to be forwarded to Kia manufacturer. The car shop where we have our car service done does not report to Car Fax (something everyone should be aware of - that Car Fax may not have all history of service of car). Today is the 28th day. Yesterday the service dealer in Jacksonville called us to let us know that the warranty may be honored due to our providing good documentation of service/oil changes. We are still waiting for approval. After doing much research found out there has been many problem with Kia engine and powertrains. This is not our fault. Im worried that even with a new engine who is to say it wont happen with the new engine???
I made an appointment a week before my appointment. I was very specific about the recall over the phone when I made my appointment. I have came in. I was very specific when I talk to the front desk why I was there over my recall, I even told them if I need to pull out the paperwork, they corresponding with me acknowledging why I was there. They have told me it will take 2 1/2 hour. After sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes I went to the front and I noticed my car has not been pulled in the back so I asked them if they can take me home like some other dealerships do. After talking to them more about this recall they told me that the parts not there and they were trying to do something else with my vehicle that wasn’t approved. Now in February 5 they wanted to put a liner in my gas tank. I told them I did not wanted that done and that’s what they were trying to do and charge me $160 for it without my acknowledgment. Poor customer service. They don’t listen to the customers and after all this the man looked at me like I was the one confused. I would definitely not recommend this business. They honestly don’t care about their customers.
My lease expired a few weeks ago. I owed money for the mileage. I tried to pay it online and it told me it would not allow me to pay my mileage through my online account. Which seems very odd to me but I called the number was on hold a longtime continually listening to the same message telling me to go online which was very annoying. I get a lady on the phone whos reading me verbatim all these things acting like Im a year overdue when in fact Im not late at all on this payment. Shes telling me shes trying to collect a debt. Im trying to nicely to interrupt her and tell her I know thats why Im calling to pay my bill. She proceeded to tell me how rude I was being and that Im not letting her finish. There was nothing to finish, I was not past due so she needed to stop treating me like I have poor credit. I tried to pay the mileage with my credit card which they said they cannot accept a credit card payment. Which to me money is money it should not matter. They are not willing to work with you. They are not willing to be friendly. I have never been a day late on a 3.5 year lease. I would stay away from Kia Finance at all costs. If I would have known what I know now I would have gone through my own bank. Do not buy a Kia.
