I went to South Shore Kia on 2/3/18 after waiting over a week for an appointment. My driver’s side indicator stays lit even when the car is turned off. I got there and I had to sign for a 169.99 diagnostic fee. I asked about my warranty and the service employee said they have to look it up. At this time no one told me the warranty expired less than 1 month ago. I get a call 3 hrs later stating they have to charge me another diagnostic fee which would be 169.99 because they were not certain of what was wrong. Four hours later when I did not get a call I called in to ask what had happened and they stated they would get back to me. Another hour goes by and I receive a call that they fixed the harness in my Sorento but it didnt fix the issue, then proceeded to explain what I needed. I immediately called my husband who went down to the dealership. Like magic when he asked to see the part they fixed and why they were charging 2 diagnostic fees and 169.99 an hour YES an hour, the bill amazingly shrunk from almost 1400.00 to 185.00. If I would have went down there they would have taken 1400 dollars from me because I didnt know about cars. My Sorento is still not fixed as I now have to pay out of pocket for everything as my warranty is up. And as per Jacob at Kia Consumer Affairs I was told when I bought the vehicle when the warranty would end and they do not have to send me any notification. They do not have to respond to my complaint but it will be addressed, somehow. So I have to fix my car which I had for less than 2 years with NO WARRANTY. Also Kia Sorentos do not have fuses so something as simple as a headlight or indicator that needs to be fixed cost over 800 dollars as I need a body control module (computer) to work headlights. I may not fix cars but how is this affordable for anyone? I believe this is the only car made this way. Are we still in the 50s and 60s. When will companies be penalized for this type of behavior? I am appalled and saddened that I have to include a man in my affairs because I am not equal. And for headquarters each Kia is a independent franchise so they are not responsible for the dealerships behavior.

As I said, I am 38, I have five kids, am a retired army vet and between those two things, I dont expect two many surprises to come my way that I havent seen before. I live in Mass, so I needed a car that could handle the weather and give me the room with safety I needed. I bought a black 2014 soul with 25 miles on it. We all remember the Kias when we were young. Not good cars at all. But now, I dont know any other. The soul has an unbelievable solid engine. It rides smooth, its amazing the space Inside. It is loaded! I bought this car brand new for around $10,000, below any car brand new with all these options. We have been hit with the worst snow since 1978, my car hasnt gotten stuck once. I see range rovers explores, etc. on the side of the highway. But not Penelope, my kids named her. Boiled down, if and when I need a new car, I will definitely buy a Kia. Its the most reliable, gas efficient, safe, and family and pocket friendly car on the market! Thank you Kia.

There was no spare tire with the 2015 Soul Kia I purchased on 8-1-2015... I am very apprehensive driving any vehicle with no spare tire. I did not realize the vehicle did not have a spare tire till after the deal was concluded. I did not think any auto mfg would issue an auto with no spare tire. I have owned 2 other KIAs... well pleased with them. I am pleased with the 2015 SOUL but I cringe riding around with no spare tire!! I am writing this letter to notify KIA Motors Finance, that I had to pay $ 4435.11 on November 24, 2019 to Nov 29, 2019 with Enterprise Rental Car under vehicle# KY351854. Also rented a car rental with Enterprise today 12/9/2019. Since the 15th of November 2019, I been calling the Hyundai Leasing company to send me my title and still no answers or documents. The company tells me that they have not received the title from Hazlet DMV since 9/2019. However, when I called Hazlet DMV, they stated that they sent it back on 10/23/2019. I went to DMV in Hazlet and they gave me 2 forms to faxed to the Title Company on 11/25/2019, and Hazlet DMV, has yet to receive any title documents.I have 2 Kia vehicles that I am leasing thru your company. I had to return my NY Plates this month. I even asked for a power of attorney documents since November 2019 and finally only received one. When I went to DMV Hazlet on 12/5/2019, they stated that they need the titles. Previously I created a Fed EX Account and now is still in process from Newport CA, since 11/26/2019. Oldbridge, NJ 008857. We are extremely disappointed. The majority of the workers that you have are dishonest. I never received one phone call from your agents, to let me know what was going on. It would be appreciated if I can received some type of reimbursement, and be excuse for my Kia Leasing this month, since I am not able to drive these 2 vehicles. Thank You so much for your understanding and appreciation.

We bought the car in 2006, since that time we have taken the car in many times for mostly bad electrical problems. Each time they so call fixed temporary, then next time more charges and waiting for parts that never came in, and/or new workers didnt know what was going on. This Friday taking car in for oil and burning smell in dash board, guess what, $89.00 just to look at, oh maybe even more. We are done with Kia.

Ive been buying a Kia since I was younger. And now I have had problems. First I had my back tire lock on me. Went to Kia and they told me that my car warrant was not in effect. Then my air conditioner went out and same no warrant, They said that 2 yrs ago. And now my clutch. My car is only 5 yrs old. And at this time Im at 10005 miles so again they say Im over just 5. I believe you owe me. Damn it. Wow I never had problems with a Kia. So how can I not have warrant back then when I was under 1000. You people are all lies... I will never buy another Kia again. I have not miss one payment or never been late. I cant wait to pay this car off and sell it.

This car has been nothing but a headache! For starters, the mileage stated in my sales agreement is about 6,000 less than what was actually on the vehicle at the time of purchase. I didnt catch this discrepancy until about a month later when I brought it in for an oil change. I tried contacting a regional manager, who promised to look into the matter, but continuous staff turnover lead me nowhere and I was very pleased with the vehicle at the time, so I just gave up, which I clearly regret. After about a years time, I needed to replace the battery, which I paid for out of pocket because I was told it was only good for 30,000 miles. I just discovered this is not true and it should be covered for 2 years?! Soon after, my car broke down on Christmas Eve and I was told it was something to do with my fuel injectors. Once that was fixed, it broke down AGAIN a few months later and Kia kept it for weeks trying to figure out the problem. They put in a new computer, and when that didnt work, they replaced the whole transmission. This was covered under warranty.Just last week I was pulling out of a parking lot, and another car was speeding around a corner so I accelerated hard in order to avoid being hit. Then my car just stalled, so I pulled over and tried to restart it. All my warning lights came on and it wouldnt turn over. Also, a bit of smoke was coming from the engine. I had it towed to the dealership, and now they tell me the engine is seized because there was NO oil in the car. I had my oil changed less than 3 months ago, but I am just now due for one based on mileage. No oil lights came on prior to stalling, no signs of oil leaks anywhere, and no noises at all.The repairs are not covered under warranty because I am missing 2 service records, and there are times where I have gone about 1,000 miles over the recommended miles between oil changes (I was told about every 7,500 miles at time of purchase). There are 83,000 miles on the vehicle now, and I am so upside-down in my loan its not even funny.. not to mention I am 8 months pregnant! This car is the biggest regret of my life!

I took my Soul to Kia due to a screeching noise in the front while braking thinking there may be a stone stuck in the pad. Come to find out the rotors had rusted in the front only to the point that they were pitted. I bought the car a few months prior from an independent dealer and the Kia dealer said that the car must have sat for a while but they were not sure. Thus is just conjecture on their part. They said the rotors were not covered because the warranty does not cover rust. They recommended that I call Kia corporate and see if they will make an exception. I called and was treated poorly by Robin, a supervisor, but after an exercise in patience she agreed to escalate the issue to the district service manager. It has been 3 working days and I am still waiting to hear back from them. I had to take it back so they could get pictures of the rotors over the weekend. The funny thing is that rotors on the rear are fine which makes no sense unless poor rotor quality or substandard design with the front brake system. The service department says that the district service manager will likely approve it but it can take another day or two and it will take more time to get the parts in. Meanwhile I am driving a car that the front brakes sound terrible and I feel unsafe driving. Very poor customer service and quality.

The buying process of my 2016 Kia Sorento was great! I bought at Ourisman Kia of Chantilly in VA. I bought a brand new vehicle despite the fact that I absolutely LOVED my paid off 2002 Chevy Tahoe. It was giving me a lot of maintenance issues so I hesitantly said Ill buy new and save on repairs. All was great up until 5 months of having the car. It shut off on me twice out of nowhere. Both at red lights. I took it in for the scheduled oil change and so that this issue could be taken care of as well. The first response was We cant seem to find the issue. Would you like to take it home or leave it. Well of course I chose to leave it. A week went by no word other than they had to wait to get something back from Kia. After a month of being in a rental the matter was resolved. They had to replace the intake manifold (yes on a brand new car). 8 months later the car was acting up again. It would not accelerate and made a terrible noise along with rough idling. I took it in twice both times the dealer could not duplicate the problem so they couldnt do anything and I had to pick up or be charged for the loaner. All oil changes had been up to date via this same service shop. The car failed on me again a third time, I had it towed and after emails and text to the GM and service manager they were able to duplicate the issue. The ECM was then replaced (the car is a little over a yr at this point). I stressed again and again that I did not feel safe in this car. I am a single mother of 4 and work my butt off for a reliable vehicle and this vehicle was not it! I questioned if I had not been sold a lemon and that issue needed to be addressed. However both the GM and SM assured all was well now. I went on a 3 wk road trip right after this last visit at the end of June. Thankfully I made it problem free on my trip. But on my way home from NC on 7/24 the car overheated with no warning indications whatsoever. I was able to pull over to the shoulder before it just cut off on me. It was towed yet again (not even a month later) to the nearest dealer in NC. They have no idea why it overheated. Why so much work has needed to be done to such a new vehicle and informed me that the motor will probably need to be replaced. WHAT!!! I am so sick of this car and the dealer not caring at all that it was faulty from the start. I will be taking this up with an attorney and recommend not to buy KIA. I have been covered by its good warranty yes but that doesnt cover the safety of my kids or I. As far as the mechanics of the vehicle and the customer service when problem arise this purchase was not worth it!!

KIA in Mentor, Ohio advertised: Drive home a used vehicle for $199. Not $199 a month or $199 down. For $199. The ad goes on to say how much they have marked down their KIAs. Well, when I went in twice, after I heard the ad, a month apart, for the $199 cars, the salesman looked at me like Im crazy. I told him what his ad said. He said, Well, we have 2 maybe. One needs a motor; the other, a tranny. Each time I went there, I was told the same thing. He didnt say Oh, I had 10, and we sold them. He looked at me with a smirk on his face. This is false and misleading advertising! I have again heard this ad 2 weeks ago.

Since we bought the 2003 Kia Rio, we experienced electrical shorts in the HVAC controls, especially in the motor fan control – it burned out. I was told the electrical harness was not on recall and not covered after 12,000 miles.Since they wanted more than $600 for the switch, I fixed it myself. The motor switch has burned up three times. This last time, the harness melted at the switch. It should have a motor resistor but this model does not have one or offer one according to the dealer. Many other Kia owners claim they have had the same problem. Many, fearing for their lives (the car catching on fire) and getting the runaround from Kia, have gotten rid of the car and have sworn never to buy another KIA. I firmly believe a recall on this model is in order, it could save lives. A class action law suit is way overdue.

Are you thinking of buying a 2011 or 2012 Kia Sorento? Forget it! My wife a
Are you thinking of buying a 2011 or 2012 Kia Sorento? Forget it! My wife and I are both professionals who depend on our cars to get to work every day without fail. My wife is a pharmacist and I am an attorney. We are both in our 50s. In early 2010, we bought a 2011 Kia Sorento primarily because of the push-button ignition feature. My wife has advanced arthritis and the Honda Element she had been driving was hard for her to change gears with its dash-mounted shifter with the button on the thumb-side of the stick. We bought a brand new 2011 Kia Sorento from Lee Kia in Fort Walton Beach, Florida for under $26,000 financed through our credit union. The car performed well until 2 months ago, when we took it to the same dealer for a service recall we had gotten in the mail. When the car came back from the dealer, my wife said it was slow starting when she depressed the brake and pressed the push button ignition. On Monday, 7/18/11, the car would not start at all. It was completely dead. It then had 25,000 miles on it. I called Kia Roadside Assistance and they came and towed it to the same dealership that had done the recall work.It has been in the shop ever since then (18 days). I would repeatedly call the Service Department and speak with their manager Joe, who acted like he was annoyed at having to tell us anything! We were given a rental in the meantime at Kias expense, but this week they said they need a part that they cannot get and they have no idea when we will get the part back! I called the local General Manager at the beginning of this week. He was asked to call me back during the noon hour on my cell, but instead called me at 9:10 AM when I was in court and unavailable.I called and left messages for him the same day, but he did not return my call for 2 days. He then said that even though the car is built in Georgia – 6 hours from where we live here in Florida – his parts receiving facility in Atlanta was where he got his parts from and they did not have the part, a brake light component. In the meantime someone at the dealership told my wife that the problem with the push button ignition is endemic to Kia Sorentos, and they are trying to fix the Sorentos rolling off the line in Georgia with this problem now before they hit the public! So much for the security of buying a Korean car made in the USA. I told this to the local General Manager and his comment was that sounds like a story from the trenches, Ill check into it(!). The rental car we were given was a Ford fusion, low to the ground, which my wife cannot drive because she has a hip replacement. I told the General Manager this and he said he would have someone call the rental car agency to switch us out to something that rode higher. This was 2 days ago. That afternoon, the Service Manager Joe called and said he was trying to get us into another rental.I got tired of waiting for anyone to help us and 24 hours ago went to the rental car place and got put into another rental within 15 minutes of stopping by their office. I called the Service Manager after I left in the new rental and his sad story was he was still working on trying to find me another rental. I told him it would be nice if he would just call me daily with an update on the repair and the needed part. He said he would (this was at 3:30 PM yesterday). As of today at 1:30PM he has not called or left a message. Oh yeah, and when I called him earlier over 2 weeks ago, I was told I just got in. I have no idea what the status of your car is! This was at 7:35 AM (they open at 7:30AM) after no calls had been made to us the entire preceding day. Gee, sorry to distract you from chomping into that creme-filled doughnut buddy! As soon as we get this car back, if we ever do, I am running to replace it with a reliable Honda. If not repairable after 30 days I will be seeking an attorney to sue the company and the dealership for breach of warranties and fraud, under the Florida Lemon Law Act and any other cause of action that fits. Stay tuned.

In January 2008, I bought a 2007 KIA Spectra from Kia Brampton, with a 5-year or 100,000-km. warranty. All went well until December 26, 2012 when the vehicle was at 99,950 km. The oil light started to come on and off. It was towed to KIA Brampton where they declared the vehicle okay but proceeded to empty the oil and place clean oil therein. I was told to return the vehicle every week for check up which I did every week until March when KIA finally confirmed that the vehicle did have problem. Then they told me they will contact me after they get in touch with KIA Canada. In March, they took in the vehicle and claimed to change the rings, which they assumed was the problem. However, within two weeks, the same problem resurfaced and I took back the vehicle to KIA Brampton. The car was checked and we were told by the Service Manager that the change of the ring was a goodwill gesture and the warranty has expired and in general, when vehicles reach the end of the warranty, KIA seems to think that people want to con them to recondition the engine and hence they would not be able to help us. KIA Brampton recommended that we contact KIA Canada re the problem.I contacted KIA Canada about the problem and was told by the Customer Service representative, Malia, on May 24, 2013 that the KIA could not assist me because the vehicle has passed its warranty period. I refuted this of course on the basis that the problem with the vehicle was detected before the warranty period expired. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after being put on hold for 15 minutes, I was told that the Supervisor was busy and but will contact me within 24 hours. On Wednesday, May 29, 2013, I finally received a call from a Sandy from KIA Canada about the matter. I again requested that KIA honor the warranty and fix the vehicle. Sandy said she had nothing to add to what Malia told me because KIA Brampton fixed the problem in March based on their diagnosis and now that the car is over the warranty period, KIA is not responsible for any repairs.

I was very specific when I talk to the front desk why I was there over my recall, I even told them if I need to pull out the paperwork, they corresponding with me acknowledging why I was there. They have told me it will take 2 1/2 hour. After sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes I went to the front and I noticed my car has not been pulled in the back so I asked them if they can take me home like some other dealerships do. After talking to them more about this recall they told me that the parts not there and they were trying to do something else with my vehicle that wasn’t approved. Now in February 5 they wanted to put a liner in my gas tank. I told them I did not wanted that done and that’s what they were trying to do and charge me $160 for it without my acknowledgment. Poor customer service. They don’t listen to the customers and after all this the man looked at me like I was the one confused. I would definitely not recommend this business. Now it’s 2019, since 2015 I’ve been having to change out headlights, brake lights, tail lights, two batteries in 2019, and get this about 6 months ago I started smelling a burning smell, well turns out the backlight in back windshield the bulb to it had exploded and the wire had started to burn. That ain’t even the half of it, since 2016, the lights come on by themselves at night. I picked it up on my house camera I have outside. They just came on, and since 2014 acquiring signal regardless of it being satellite am or fm or a cd. And it don’t stop there, LOL. Omg I could cry and rip my hair out. The speakers go in and out and crackle. The door seals leak. When I turn my steering wheel or put on the turn signal radio acquires signal, cheap interiors that don’t withstand anything. The drivers seat gets hard after a few years too. The lights flicker when I drive sometimes, a big electrical problem... One that goes through the whole car and is a very expensive fix. Oh and wait my shift knob broke. It broke! How does that happen? Cheap paint, this is cheap, an overly cheap car for what they ask for them. When I use my AC, the brakes act like they don’t want to work. I put the car in park once and when I got ready to get out it started to roll back. And guess what the dealership has changed out fuses and harnesses and other stuff re the lights but somehow can’t reproduce the other stuff so I started making videos and keeping the ones from my security system. Even after an oil change I get nasty smells coming into the car. They even changed the filters. I pray my next car won’t be a Kia. And the gas mileage it’s horrible. Don’t fool yourselves.

I have a 2015 Kia K 900. It was 8 months since I purchased from Kia Escondido, I had about 5k miles on it when I was hit on the driver side at the rear quarter panel/back passenger door. I was pushed into a center divide and my entire front Qtr Panel and front end was demolished. NOT 1 AIRBAG DEPLOYED!! I called Kia and their engineers went out to study/test/read the circuit board to get all logistics at time of impact. They went to investigate the car more than once (car was at the auto body shop) and Kia would not release the car to been inspected by my Mercury Insurance to assess damage. The car sat at Tag Collision center for 51 days before they let Mercury assess the damage. The car was totaled out by Mercury and the engineers from Kia said that the airbags did not deploy because there were not enough factors involved for them to deploy. I personally was more concerned that considering where and how I was hit that if I had passengers in the back seat that there would have been skulls hitting the door window (place of impact). I figured that Kia would want to know in case they needed to do a recall on the K 900s to protect lives in future accidents. Kia did not allow me to see the report or tell me exactly what factors were involved to as why the airbags did not deploy. But the whole thing raised a red flag when they kept telling Mercury that the car was not ready to be inspected??? Im just a puzzled and concerned consumer who received no answers but instead a big storage bill from Tag Collision, no thanks to Kias control of when Mercury Insurance could do their job in a timely manner. Kia offered to sell me another K 900 but I just cant considering I would not feel safe or maybe be as lucky to escape injury if I were to get into another accident where if the airbags did not deploy and was extremely hurt instead of protected. This is for Kia to take notice and for there to be a record that Kia not only knew of this airbag situation but that there was an investigation done and a report on file (just in case there are future issues with consumers regarding this topic).

I purchased a 2014 Kia Sorrento brand new. After the warranty expired around 130,000 miles, my engine blew a rod and destroyed my engine to a point where it needed a new engine. I just had $8,000 in repairs on the engine done 4 months prior to this happening. The dealership (Cronin Kia, Harrison, Ohio) said it wasnt related to the work that was done 4 months prior. HIGHLY suspect of that. I called Kia Consumer Affairs and put in my complaint and made a claim. They said it would take 24-48 hours to get an answer to see if Kia will put in a Good Will towards replacing my engine. After calling them every other day to get an answer, THREE weeks later they said there is nothing that they will do for. WORST car ever! Worst experience EVER! I will never buy a Kia EVER AGAIN! And Ill be sure to let the thousands of people I personally know that to never but a Kia ever again!

I purchased a new Kia Rio 2012 on March 7, 2012. The AC was not working after 2 months. To get an appointment, I waited for 10 days. After repairing, they have not rectified the complaints, so they checked again. I found AC compressor complaints and they told me to wait for 15 to 20 days to get the parts. This is too bad. What should I do for this? I’m 20 or 30 days without a car.

My used 2003 Kia Spectra had three separate sudden accelerations while I was moving across the country. During these incidents, the brakes failed to work. After these incidents, all within days of each other, I started making phone calls to Kia. They told me they would connect me with an agent in their National Consumer Affairs office. I have been trying to contact this office for more than a month now and no one answers or seems to care.

To understand this KIA dealership in Burton UK, I need to back up a bit. I saw a car on the internet and arranged to view it. On the agreed day I checked to make sure that he car was still available and they said yes. I set off by train from Coventry UK. I had to change at Birmingham UK to catch a train to Burton. At Birmingham I got a call to say that the car has been sold. This sets the background to my subsequent dealings with KIA in Burton. They apologized and promised to let me have first look at another car. (With hindsight, I should have declined.)I did look at another car, the salesman told me that the car had had only one previous owner who gave up the car because he had epilepsy. We negotiated and agreed on a price based on what I had seen of the car and what I was told. He told me that (1) the car will be checked over and serviced (2) I will have two year free service in 2015 and 2016. When I received my V5C form from DVLA, it had two previous owners. I sent a text on 17/11/14 to the salesman and he did not reply to my query that he told me the car had only one previous owner from October 63. He did not reply. One morning as I was driving along the road I found that my windscreen washer had frozen. The temperature was barely -1 deg Celsius. When it thawed, I noticed that instead of the normal windscreen solution, it was pure water. Alarm bells started ringing. I checked the Service book and it was not stamped. I then wondered why the boot light has never come on.I wrote with a list of complaints to the CEO of KIA including that the car had not been serviced. My complaint was passed on to the customer services department saying that the garage was only obliged to top up the windscreen washer (with water by implication) and not to introduce a solution that lowered the freezing temperature of the windscreen washer. I found that astonishing. On the question of previous owners, because I had no documentary or audio evidence to support what I claimed was the gist of the conversation, that was dismissed. Apparently the bulb in the boot and had burnt out from use... by whom I wondered? They asked me to return the service book so that they will stamp it. I refused. I asked whether the two year verbal agreement on servicing the car still holds. No reply. I am intending to send it for servicing and bill the garage and if they refuse to pay, Ill try the small claims court. I paid for the car based on the information given to me which they deny. What should I do? Can I ask for my money back or reach some form of compromise? I also tend to write to KIA in Korea to complain. I suggested to the customer services that the point that the service book was not stamped is evidence that it was not serviced. There was no counter argument. The scan of the service document carried out had no page number so it could have been written any time. What can/shall I do? Anyone have the address of KIA in Korea?

I bought a slightly used 2011 Kia in 2011. It was in amazing condition and I spent the next 7 years taking immaculate care of it -- never missing an oil change and keeping up with the regular maintenance. Last week, while driving, out of nowhere my car seizes and then starts making a very loud rapping noise. Engine is kaput. I had it towed to my mechanic (my cousin so he doesnt give me any bull -- he even does a diagnostic in front of me and shows me exactly what is wrong with the car and why). He says one of the pistons broke, causing tons of metal flecks in the oil (which I had recently changed). The piston had also hit one of my spark plugs, chipping off a tiny piece of it. He said the issue is the exact same as all of the thousands of Kias being recalled, and that this is a bad engine and its the manufacturer at fault for it, not me. Especially since I had taken such good care of it -- no sludge in the oil, no nothing.Call Kia customer care & open a case -- they say I have to have a Kia dealership diagnose it for them to help me. So I tow it to a dealership and they charge me $120+ just for the diagnostic. I try to give them the diagnostic from my mechanic and tell them about the broken engine and the spark plug and the piston, and they wont listen to me. I go home and wait thru the weekend. They call me Monday morning to say my car doesnt have a broken engine, but that the tiny piece of spark plug is causing the issue and they need another $350 to try to remove it and it may cost up to $1100. I tell them to wait and call my cousin to ask if that sounds right. He said, no, thats outrageous, and he calls them and makes them put the mechanic on the phone. Mechanic is a complete ** -- didnt even run a diagnostic, just looked at the spark and figured that was the problem. Cousin asked if he ran a compression test-- of course he didnt! Then the mechanic tried to say it would take 3 hours for a diagnostic then, and cousin said, how long does a compression test take? Guy says, I dont know, Id have to look it up to which my cousin replied, Its certainly less than 2 hours. You can send me an itemized list of what youre doing.I ended up making my cousin the one the dealership had to go thru. And, GEE WIZ! Turns out when they actually DID THE COMPRESSION TEST, the problem with the car is exactly what my cousin said was wrong! And do you think Kia stands by its 100,000 mile/10 Year Warranty??! Of course not! Because Im the 2nd owner. And does it say on the ads or the website that it doesnt apply to 2nd owners? Not unless you find your manual and look it up -- Intentionally deceptive and misleading. And REGARDLESS, this is THEIR FAULTY ENGINE. Customer care wont do a fricking thing and expects me to pay thousands of dollars for a new engine, even though they KNOW its their responsibility and theyve already had to recall all their other engines (but for some reason not the Rio...) My cousin even called Customer Care and said my engine is affected by the recall, theyre just trying to save face. I have years and years worth of oil change and maintenance receipts as proof that the fault is theirs, and they wont do a freaking thing to correct their mistakes.I have never been so disgusted. The incompetence of the dealership, the arrogance of Customer Care, the mistreatment of their customers, the lemons they wont take responsibility for... I WILL NEVER BUY A KIA AGAIN. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the inevitable headache and HUGE repair bills-- STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM KIA CARS AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN.I now have to junk my car after I had JUST replaced the breaks and done a bunch of other maintenance to it. I hope the company goes bankrupt and burns to the ground. They are the most corrupt lousy liars I have ever come across. Just do a quick freaking search online and you will find hundreds and hundreds of stories just like mine. It is unbelievable that an 8 yr old car with 98,000 miles on it would die with no warning and Kia just shrugs its shoulders. This is unacceptable. If anyone files a class action lawsuit please let me know -- they need to be taken down.

This is my third lease. I had a Jetta and a Prius. Both companies had excellent customer service. They both put the customer first. Made everything clear. My payment are always on time. Never had a single issue till I decided to lease with Kia. Advice - DO NOT LEASE WITH KIA. First: Pay your lease via the phone. Although they will charge you 7 dollars to make an over the phone payment. Which is ridiculous, this is the only to make sure your payment actually goes through. Their website is horrible, and the turnaround is 7 days. Second: Getting a live customer service person on the phone: It is a challenge to be able to talk to a live person. Once you get a customer service rep they either do not speak English and do not care to help you with any issue you may have. I will never lease again from Kia. I am not a happy customer. Third: Their website is out of date. Do not make any payments on their website.

2017 Sorento engine seized in October of 2018. Vehicle is sitting at the Cooper Kia dealership in NY. Rewind. Vehicle had a slight knocking sound. Husband calls dealership and states that oil change was already scheduled following day and they say bring it up on Monday as it was Friday. Oil change completed and drove car home. A while later went to run errands and horrible loud knocking at this point. Call Kia and they say, Drive it up to us. Um ok. Not even 5 mile out of my home city and the freaking car dies on the highway, my husband driving and me following. Had a hard time getting it off to the shoulder and waited for roadside. Kia calls following week and says they need maintenance records before they will inspect. Faxed them over right away and charge me to take the valve cover off. Then then say engine needs to be replaced at my cost! No way!Under warranty with 32,000 miles. Kia said that oil changes were not legit. They said that because the VIN number not on the receipt, no good. So I argued the fact that the license number on all receipts could be traced to DMV to verify. Duh. Back and forth arguing and they finally decide they will honor warranty engine replacement but my husband has to pay for labor about 1,000. Uh ok. 9 months have passed and engine on backorder.Call in every month to see status and no one really knows. Kia consumer affairs had the third now rep that just called to see what’s going on. Really? You’re calling us. Billy from Kia consumer says that it doesn’t look like the engine will be in by the time the lease is up. So I’m paying for a vehicle and carrying full insurance that I haven’t driven in 9 months. He proceeds to have us contact KMF and the dealership to try and get out of the lease. We’ve asked to get out of the lease several times and denied. KMF said, Don’t call and ask us as it is solely up to Kia and the dealership. Ridiculous runaround and fed up with the terrible lies.Received a campaign letter about software issue and knocking engines to update in February. Maybe if the stinking sensor worked and warned people beforehand they could fix issues before disaster strikes. Or perhaps stop making the darn crappy engines and blaming consumers. What a disappointment. Husband went up to get plates off vehicle last week. Contacted BBB and attorney general. We shall see. I don’t want this SUV back. Never buy a Kia and don’t let them convince you that it’s your fault. FYI number 4 cylinder misfire code and crankshaft misaligned. Kia, your engines suck and you know it. With all the lawsuits and recalls, don’t be surprised if they go belly up in the industry. Awful experience.

Kia Motors wanted to charge me $470 to replace a timing belt on my auto. I refused and, two months later, my engine was destroyed. Kia stated I violated my warranty and failed to honor its Powertrain Warranty. It was brought out in litigation that the timing belt was covered and that Kia Motors has a conflict between their warranty and their required maintenance schedule. The issue that really needs to be addressed here is that the courts are allowing Kia Motors to enforce a limited liability clause to limit the damages in a lawsuit, but the clause the judges are using is not a clause that applies to Kia Motors express warranties.

Bought my 2015 Kia Sorento in March of 2017 and have had problems with it pretty much right away. Started with my key fob. The driver door does not recognize my key fob and I have to either open the passenger door to unlock my car or hit the fob multiple times before the drivers door opens. Ive replaced the batteries and it hasnt helped. My alternator dies at 66K miles, which I thought was ridiculous. I called Kia to see if they would grant any good will since I was out of warranty and they did nothing. Claimed they couldnt help since I was the 2nd owner. In my opinion, it shouldnt matter if Im the 2nd or 5th owner. The car only had 66k miles on it and the car was bought from a Kia Dealership in Buford, GA. From a dealership, it wasnt a private sale. No reason other than Kia is garbage that an alternator should die at 66k miles. And now, my window doesnt work. I rolled down the passenger side window this morning and it wont go back up. Im bringing it somewhere to get it looked at, not Kia. It looks like the motor is no good. Of course it is, its a Kia. Well, Ive learned my lesson with Kia cars and hope you will learn from this review. DO NOT BUY KIA!

I bought my 2014 Kia Soul Plus brand new. It only had 5k miles on it when I purchase it. I have had nothing but issues with the gas mileage for this vehicle and have complained to the car dealership that I bought the car from several times. It had gotten so bad in fact that at one point, everytime I filled the tank I took pictures of the on dash information and wrote the mileage on my gas receipts to prove to Kia that this is in fact a problem. The estimated gas mileage for this car is supposed to be around 23 miles to the gallon in the city. I am lucky if I am getting 15 mpg.Point in case I filled the car completely up on Monday. Went 100 miles in the car and had to fill it up again the next day! Now I dont mean it was sitting at a half or a 1/4 when I had to refill, I mean the gas light was on. There was 5 lines across the dash that displays the gas average. I took it into Kia this morning only to be told there is nothing wrong with it, just as they have told me for the past 5 months of owning this car. This is an on going problem for sure. The range on the gas meter will read a different amount each time it is filled. One moment it may say that I have 283 miles until empty, then the next fill up it will tell me I have 227 miles to empty. I am not sure what is going on here and KIA will not allow me to take it to another mechanic shop. If I do they say they will void all of my warranties that I purchased. So I am stuck with a gas guzzling lemon. What do I do?

Tower Hill Garage Chipperfield Kings Langley Hertfordshire WD4 9LR - I had my car serviced on 25 July 2012. When I went to get into my car, I noticed the driver’s seat was dirty. One of the managers walked behind me and could see I had not got into the car. I said the staff member who serviced my car must have had dirty overalls. We both could see the plastic cover that should go right over the seat was only covering the back and not the seat-base. The manager said in 20 years this has never happened at this garage, it must have happened before! I said that I do not use dirty clothing. He could clearly see how I was dressed, smartly. Also, I work in an office and have to drive smartly. The manager went on to talk about a hole in the mat, which had no bearing on what we were talking about. Then he went on to say he was happy to book it in to be cleaned, also the service manager walked past and smirked at me! The service manager originally told me when I arrived to pick up my car, to sit in the waiting area as they were having to complete my paperwork, which I later found out the car was still on the test drive, in which it had not been finished. I had to wait over 15 minutes to then pay for my car. This should have been explained to me! I am sorry to say the service manager did have a bad attitude. My conclusion to this was the garage staff did not like the fact that this is only a 22-month-old car with 11,950 miles on the clock and this was my first service and kept saying this should have been serviced, 10 months or 10,000 miles. The garage is fully aware that in the first year I had only completed 3,500 miles because I had to have an operation. Therefore, I did not see the sense in paying out good money for such small mileage. Again the garage staff were informed several times and clearly told me not to worry. All this experience has led me into - I will not be purchasing a Kia again nor will I be going back to this garage until I receive an apology and a gesture of goodwill.

I recently moved to Denver, CO from Sioux City, IA. I was offered a great position at a new job here and had to accept it. I own a home in Sioux City and rented it out right away to move and start my job on December 5, 2015. Everything was going great here with the move and job and I was adjusting quickly. My brother in law and sister in law live here so having family here helped with move. The beginning of January came and my mother in law decided she wanted to visit for Christmas. My sister in law let me use her car to go pick her mother up but only after she had the oil changed on her vehicle. I also decided to have the oil changed in my 2012 Kia Sorento as driving all the miles back and forth to Iowa over the past few months with the move had put me at being due for an oil change. I planned on going to get it changed at the dealership as I had always done, but wanted/needed it done quickly, so decided to go to Jiffy Lube (#901 ran by Southwest Lubrication, Inc.) 8100 Crestline Ave Unit E-2 Littleton, CO 80123 (303) 933-9319. I went on January 8th, 2016 at 1:30 in the afternoon. They were not very busy, and were able to get me in quickly. They did their standard routine as far as letting me know what needed/should be done and their different classifications of oil changes. I chose the Signature Service as they recommended due to my vehicle being of foreign nature. I also had them replace the air filter as they recommended after showing me the old one. I was only there for about 45 minutes to an hour, it did not take them long to complete, paid for the service and was on my way. This is where things started to happen. The past few months, (November-current) my vehicle had been making a squeaking noise coming from the brakes, as they also needed to be replaced, but not to the point yet of absolutely having to have this done. On January 10th, two days after the oil change at Jiffy Lube, I noticed a noise not like the squeaking of the brakes, but more like plastic flapping or something with a belt or fan blade. I was only assuming these were what these noises could be as I have heard them before on previously owned vehicles and friends vehicles. The noise was bad up until the vehicle reached 30-40 mph or about 2 on the RPM scale in the dashboard. I drove to and from work at Advance America, which is about 6 miles from my home, so about a 12 mile round trip. I did this from January 11-13. I drove the vehicle to my sister in laws on January 14th, which is about 20 miles from my home, where it stayed parked for 24 hours while I took her vehicle to pick up her mother in Sioux Falls, SD. After I returned the next day, January 15, I picked up my vehicle and went to work where I did marketing, which involved driving my vehicle around to distribute flyers. This added an additional 50+ miles to my vehicle. January 16 I also went to work, round trip of about 12 miles. The 17th, I used my sister in law vehicle to return my mother in law home. My car sat for another 24 hours as I did this. The next day, the 18th I did not have work due to the holiday, but noticed the noise was getting worse. The evening of the 18th my brother in law had a friend come over to their home, where I was at the time, to check out my vehicle. We first started the vehicle and drove around the parking lot and down the street so he could hear the noise. My brother in laws friend is NOT a mechanic but his brother is and he has been around cars his whole life, so I thought he would be able to quickly tell what was wrong and recommend what to do. After we returned to the parking lot, we opened the hood so he could look at that and check the oil, basic things everyone does with a car. We pulled the dipstick and there was absolutely NO oil on the end. We did this a couple times to verify it was correct in showing no oil. My brother in law unscrewed the cap of where the oil filter is housed to make sure there was one, he did this only after I told him to. There was a filter but no oil really on said filter. We screwed the cap back on the filter housing and examined around everything further to notice what looked to be oil covering most everywhere under the engine in the engine compartment. At this point I/they decided that I needed to go to the dealership to have it looked at further. We added 2 quarts of oil to make sure there was enough for me to get home and then to the dealership as soon as possible. I took my vehicle to Peak Kia Littleton 5077 S Wadsworth Way Littleton, CO 80123 (303) 904-7806 and spoke with **, the service adviser there. I did this on January 20th and he recommended and said the next step would be to have a diagnostic test done. The next available time to do this was Thursday January 21st. I was there right away on Thursday morning for the test as I had to be to work by 10 am. The test took longer than expected and I called my work and this was fine with them to show up a couple hours late due to this appointment. I ended up calling into work that day because the testing took longer than expected and that was due to Kia informing me that they had looked and done everything as far as they could diagnostic wise and advised me that my engine was done for and would need to be completely replaced. I immediately thought it was something Jiffy Lube had done and called and informed them I would be looking into this further and also would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which I did. The complaint number is **. I have not heard anything back yet from this complaint. I was then contacted back by Jiffy Lube to get more information from me and the manager there said he was investigating this. A few hours went by and the Jiffy Lube manager called to inform me that after reviewing their tapes and speaking with the service techs, that they did nothing wrong and everything had been done correctly. I did not agree and asked for their corporate number which he gave as their location number and for his bosses contact information. This location is owned as a franchise and the franchise owner just happened to be there at this time. He got on the phone, introduced himself as Doug ** owner/operator, and I explained what was going on to him. He informed me he would do his best to help resolve this and offered to go to the Kia dealership to take a look for himself and see what he could see. He spoke with the service people at the dealership and after he was done with that, informed me that he and they had come to the conclusion that the oil was coming from somewhere other than the filter housing. I do not know much of anything about auto parts or things like this as I explained to him and he told me it was basically between Kia and I, and that it was something faulty with the vehicle, and being under warranty should be covered and fixed by Kia. At this point, I figured that it could possibly be something wrong with the vehicle itself, because since I purchased it brand new in 2012, I had been to the dealership in Sioux City, IA many times with several different issues that they fixed and replaced under warranty. I contacted the Kia dealership in Littleton, Peak Kia, and spoke with ** once again. I told him what Doug from Jiffy Lube had told me and he informed me that it was NOT something that they did and said it was something that happened with or at Jiffy Lube. I told him I wasnt saying that it was something they had just recently done, but could be something with that particular vehicle as I had had numerous things done and fixed prior to moving here. When it came down to it, he told me that it would be $345.00 for them to tear down the engine to find out what the real problem was. I already owed/owe them (Peak Kia) $115 for the diagnostic test and did not have the extra money to pay the $345 to pay to do this to either find out if was something wrong with the vehicle, then they would refund me and it would be covered by warranty, OR it would be something Jiffy Lube did and would NOT be covered by warranty and I would be out there $345 and would have to pay OVER $8000 for a new engine. I did not/do not have the $345 to pay for then engine tear down since I lost my job due to NOT having reliable transportation, a requirement of my position there. They gave me the choice of either resigning or they would have to fire me since I was still in training and was losing my means of transportation. I chose to resign on January 22nd after working half the day and discussing all of these details with my boss. ** at Kia had told me, that day, Friday the 22nd of January that my vehicle was not drivable, and if I did, my engine would definitely seize up. I have left it sitting there at the dealership since. I have been back and forth with both Jiffy Lube and Kia, have filed a complaint with the BBB, tried to go and file a small claims case but after discussing with them the cost of an engine, advised that Colorado law on small claims limits at $7500 and it will be much more to fix my vehicle not to mention my loss of employment and now I am about to be evicted because I have no income. I have tried to contact numerous lawyers and other offices for assistance on what to do and how to find an attorney, but have not gotten anywhere yet. I have been in contact with a radio talk show and have been on the air with Tom Martino, who assists in consumer affairs, and has been helpful so far, but I think I need to hire an attorney or someone to help me with this. I know this is a VERY long plea for assistance, but wanted whomever read it to be fully aware of my situation so I could get some direction on where to go from here. ANY information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Again thank you for reading this and I hope to hear from someone soon!!

I took my 2015 Kia Rio into the dealership to have an electrical issue with my front passenger turn signal taken care of and was told that because the headlight assembly was cracked from the INSIDE, it was not covered under warranty. Now, I dont trust these weasels one iota, so I went in and look at this purported damage myself. What I found was a small crack in the plastic INSIDE of a capped off port, alongside a missing turn signal electrical contact. They claim that this damage indicates user fault and isnt covered under warranty. They further explained that because the car has damage on the front bumper (which is actually a minuscule scratch on the right wheel well that doesnt even reach the headlight) this indicates that impact damage was the probable cause. Now tell me, even if I somehow managed to hit something and miraculously avoid any damage to my front bumper or headlight or grill or anything else in the vicinity of the headlight assembly save for the aforementioned tiny scratch, how in the hell would I then have impacted hard enough to crack a tiny piece of plastic nestled deep inside of an assembly? No, the more logical conclusion is that this is a cheap piece of ** part on a cheap piece of ** car that this cheap piece of ** company will do anything to avoid having to own up to and pay for. Id recommend coughing up for a more quality vehicle from a more reputable and consumer friendly automaker. As it has become clear to me, KIA is neither of those things.

The little door on my gas cap will not open. I took it to the garage 3 times now. The first time the garage just bent it. The second time they ordered a new door. The third time they just bent it again.Today, on my way home, I was almost on E and of course, my gas door would not open. It is very frustrating to have a car that you are not able to put gas in. I am requesting the Kia dealer to purchase a new gas door for my car, but this time, to give me a door that also has a key entry so I do not get stranded.

The speedometer on my 2005 Kia Spectra sometimes doesnt read my speed correctly. The first time the incident occurred, it was almost 2 years ago. I only had the car for a day. While at the red light, the speedometer said I was driving 60 mph. When I started moving, it went up to 120 mph. The following day, I took the car back to the dealer, they checked it and explained to me that they couldnt find anything wrong with the speedometer. A week ago, today, I got a speeding ticket for driving 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. After getting the ticket, as soon as I started driving, I noticed the speedometer at 50 mph. I noticed immediately that the speedometer was acting up again. I stopped the car to confirm. After coming to a complete stop, the speedometer was still reading 40 mph and then the hand started slowly moving downwards. The following morning, I took the car in to my nearest Kia dealer where they checked it, said they ran a test and placed it on their computers but couldnt find anything wrong or any error codes so theres nothing they could do. Now I have to go to court, pay a speeding ticket, get points on my license all for something thats not my fault and something I cant fix nor the dealer can fix. So Im going to need Kia to fix this!

I took my car to KIA Shop for repairs after an accident in mid Jan 2019. I was promised it would come out as good as new but sadly it came out looking awful. I took it back and they demanded extra money if I want any more work done. I contacted their headquarters and after a series of back and forth, they said they would do the repairs. Initial agreement involved changing of bumper which they refused to do until I pressed. I had to call them up on Facebook before I was told that the repairs will be done. We are now in Mid-March and the car is still with them. The most annoying thing is they dont even call to give status update. I have to be the one to do the calling. I have been using UBER since the car was with them and spending extra-budgetary. I have resolved that whatever happens, I will NEVER use KIA services again and I will go out of my way to ensure that nobody I know uses KIA services for any reason.

I went out to my car for an afternoon meeting and the material on my console was melted in a spit. It was clearly melted. I parked in the sun that day but it was only 69 degrees out. I went to a meeting earlier that day at 1100 and it was fine. I called Kia in Liberty Lake, WA and reported it and told me it wasnt covered under my bumper to bumper warranty because it didnt melt all the way, just in a spot. They refuse to even submit it to Kia out pay to cover it. My $25000 purchase shouldnt melt for any reason. I do not recommend ever buying a Kia. They lure about their warranties and try to get you to pay. I am more filing out under the Lemon Law.

I took my car to the Kia maintenance room at Beirut, Lebanon, but they wouldnt know the reason. They just answered, “we dont know, its working now.” Take note, I bought the car from Kia Lebanon with 0km.The interiors are crunching, especially the front glass. Is it normal? Take note that Lebanon does not have high temperature, we are not Sahara that the car should melt. The wheel stands are easily damaged and I repair them by kicking them, are they plastic?

I find it hard to believe that every dealer I visited to buy this particular model car are increasing the MSRP price of this car by thousands of dollars using a dubious practice call addendum sticker, I initiated a complain directly on the KIA website but all I received was an email indicating that someone will be in contact with me, that was back in late October 2019. As of today nobody has call me or email to address this serious problem.I understand that this is nice vehicle and people might want to pay a few hundred dollars more for it but thousands more is ludicrous and not acceptable. If KIA is allowing dealers to ripoff unsuspecting buyers all they doing is destroying their own brand as once the word gets out many buyers will simply stay away from buying this brand. I saw this happening in the early 1980s with Honda. I was a young father with 2 kids and needed an economical car, I ordered a 1980 Civic and when I went to pickup the car 6 weeks later the dealer increase the agreed price by 25% and I was told take it or leave it. Having waiting for so long for the car I end up paying gouge price. To this day I never bought another Honda.

I purchased a 2016 Kia Soul+ in October 2016. I loved my Soul... so much that I was recommending Kia to all of my family and friends. Well... while on vacation June 20, 2017, my Kia Soul+ seized on the freeway while going 65 mph!!! Lucky for me and my family, the freeway was fairly empty. Had it towed to a nearby Kia Dealer. They determined it was the same problem that all the cars on the recall list were having. So they gave me a rental and sent me on my way. Its been three weeks and still no answer as to when my car will be fixed. I live 600 miles away from where my car is at! I cant believe that in the past 6 years Kia hasnt resolved this issue with the engine!! Ill be trading in my Kia for something else! This is unacceptable!

I have just bought a Kia Sorento 2018 this month. What I want the public to learn here is not to repeat the same mistake that I made at the dealership. I was actually happy to buy the Sorento, but when I signed the paperworks, I didn’t pay too much attention to the details. All I had in mind was I was gonna pay the amount that me and the salesman agreed on. I did not catch an additional fee for EXTENDED WARRANTY. This was not even explained to me. I was not aware of it. It costed me $2700, and since this was added to the loan amount. It would basically cost me more. Now when I look at my new Kia Sorento, I feel ashamed of myself for buying Kia. I was just foolish!!! God knows how I could forgive myself.

I had made mention to the sales manager, Nick **, after I had purchased my KIA Soul (2013) new(!) that I had this rough idling when I am at a stop light and/or a stop sign. I was told to make an appointment with their Service Dept. which I did on Jan. 10th. At first, I was told they couldnt find the issue (just idling, not in gear), but I explained to them they need to be in gear, drive it, and at a light - this would follow in just a minute. They did say that it did do this, and did a diagnosis to see if they could pinpoint the issue. But having to see what KIA would come back with, Bert who did this, the Dealership Crown KIA Service Dept told Matt who contacted me, that this was a normal operation for this type of engine? And now, nothing, it seems to be direct on how this was going to end or follow up for a fix and/or repair? Case # is ** and the contact person Ive been dealing with is Melinda. The dealership now tells me there is nothing to do or repair according to KIA manufacturer. Ive driven other Souls at other dealership, and they dont do this? Im just asking to have this fixed, as this is not the way the car should run.

Our problem seems minor when I read some of the complaints people have. The rear seat release, passenger side has broken which does not allow us to raise the seat back to a sitting position. This allows only one person to sit in the rear seat. The release was always balky but since it was used only sparingly we lived with it. Well it finally failed. If you look closely at it, the lever handle is connected by a flimsy plastic piece that broke. My dealer gave me price in excess of $600.00 to repair. Since we have 63,000 miles it is out of warranty. We were told to contact Kia Customer Services, which we have done with very little results. We have been waiting over two weeks for a response. We were told we could expect in two business days.

I bought a brand new Kia Carens in September 2009. From the start I had intermittent problems starting the car. At each service I asked the workshop to check the problem, and was consistently told that there was no problem. 2 weeks ago the car would not start at all. I bought a new battery, which helped for 1 day. The car was then with an auto electrician for 3 days and he could not find a fault. Eventually a key code showed, and with the spare key the car started. That only worked for 2 days. I then took it to Kia and they diagnosed that the electronic communicator from the key to the motor is faulty. How come they diagnose it now, but could not diagnose it for the past 3 years?? They wait until the warranty expires!! The quote to replace it is ZAR22,000.00!!! That is ludicrous. Is this a problem that anyone else has experienced with Kia?

Called Kia, stated I have had a sensor problem concerning air bag. And that they replaced the seat assembly once before because the sensor is housed there. The red warning light remains. I spoke to them and said I finally saw my year make and model was under recall. However, even though looking at their paperwork and agreed it was done, told me my car is not under the stated warranty recall of Kia Rio 2006 to 2008 because they assemble it in 05. Needless to say Im very displeased. And he was unwilling to discuss a solution as it has never been taken care of. I remain with warning light. And I like my little car but dont think I would buy again or my family... as they are aware of problem and will not correct. And the person I just spoke to said that their dealer was a liar, when they said the sensor was located in front passenger seat. Funny as Kia replaced seat free of charge during first year... but with same issue. My hopes to finally have fixed right when I saw the make year and model of my car under recall for my issue got slammed down again. I remain with red warning light and no resolve.. This is the first time that I ever wished I could give a car company negative stars. Dont buy a Kia. As I was dealing with my issue at the dealership, an employee came by and asked what was wrong. He ended it by saying Service department always having issues. After what I experienced, not surprising at all. I had visited this dealership before for mileage maintenance and experienced great service. Boy was I in for a surprise on this visit. Making an extremely long story short -- I brought my car in for a rattling noise. The service manager, MICHAEL, had the tech address everything but the issue I brought the car in for. They kept the car a day and a half yet spent only two hours trying to figure out the rattling noise. And what was their diagnosis? They were unable to figure out the problem ON THEIR OWN VEHICLE. Their solution? That I get body work done on a non-impact scratch that occurred AFTER the noise started and then they could take another look at it. What?! I told him over and over that the scratch occurred way after the noise started. He maintained his stance. He stated that it was Kias rule that they couldnt do any further diagnostics on the issue until I got the body work done. He was completely combative and dismissive. I asked for another manager. CONSTANTINE came out and essentially performed as Michaels puppet, backing up every ridiculous thing he said. I left there having paid for a tire rotation that I didnt need and didnt ask for just to get out of there. After talking with a friend who is a former Kia sales manager at another dealership, I confirmed that what Michael told me was complete BS and that they just didnt want to take the time to deal with the problem. Nice. I have taken several steps to have these issues addressed before leaving this review. I called into corporate consumer customer service and opened a case with a MASIELA. I was promised a call back within two days. That was over 2 weeks ago. I followed up and have been ignored. I contacted Kia Consumer Care on Twitter and was promised a follow-up. I have also been ignored there as well. In the interim, I got all the work done on my car that was needed EXCEPT the body work and wouldnt you know --- the noise is GONE. Isnt that rich? I have come to the conclusion that Kia is who we thought they were and will be getting rid of this car the moment it is paid off.

My wife and I purchased a Kia Sorento from Union City Kia in Georgia. We purchased the vehicle on 8/31/11. We were informed by our salesman at that time that it was the last day of a promotion the dealership was running where you received 2 Atlanta Falcons seasons tickets if you bought a car, but the offer ended at the end of that day. As a matter of fact, the car we test drove that day was black and had all of the Falcons promotional stickers all over it. About 10 days went by and had no tickets so I called my salesman. He told me he was going to check into it and call me back. I did not receive a call so I called back on Friday again and left a message, still no call back. I called on Saturday and he checked with his manager and he told me they should be there that day and to check after the mail delivery and let him know if they are not there. The tickets were not there so I called back as instructed and was told by the receptionist the salesman was not there and had left for the day, and there was no manager to speak to. However, the tickets would take about 30 to 45 days to arrive from the sale date. None of this was mentioned at the time of the sale. I emailed the Kia customer service and was contacted by them with absolutely no help and was told the promotion actually ended on the 28th, not the 31st, and to go back to the dealer and see if they would step up to what they promised as they are independently owned. I called the dealership and again received no return calls so I went to the dealership and talked to a manager on duty. He took my information and told me he was going to find out what was going on and call me back that evening. I again received no call. The next day, I went into the dealership and was routed to their business manager Kennon **. He told me that I was right, the promotion ended on the 31st and that it was a corporate promotion which they did not purchase enough tickets so he was going to find out what he needed to do to get more. He stated I was not the only person that was complaining about this. Kennon told me he would get me some information by the end of the day. He did call me that night and left me a voice message telling me he was playing phone tag with the guy and he would be in the next day to follow up and get back with me. That was on a Wednesday. I did not get a call back on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Monday so I called the dealership again and was informed he was on vacation for the week and he was the only person that could help me. I emailed him and Kia customer service again with no reply from Kennon which was expected, but I did receive a response from Kia Southern Region office, and once again, they just said go back to the dealer since they are the ones that made the deal. This time she said besides it was on a “while supply lasts promotion” which of course no one ever mentioned that while signing for the car just that we would be getting the tickets. So I again stopped into the dealership on Monday, 10/24/11, and personally talked to Kennon. He now changed his story and said the promotion actually ended on the 28th, but he was going to check in with another manager and ensured me he would call me that evening. I also informed him it was him that confirmed to me in person that the 31st was in fact the cut-off date and all I wanted was what was promised to us. Well, once again, I was lied to. No call on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. I would think if the promotion ended on the 28th, the salesperson, rest of the staff and management would have known that by the 31st, and the promotional car would have had the decals removed. The fact is they were so desperate to sell the car they intentionally lied to get the sale done. This is immoral and bordering illegal. A contract whether verbal or written is binding.Well, it is now 10/25/11 and we have missed 3 home games and still no tickets. I have gone above and beyond to clear this up, but have had no luck even getting the dealership to answer my many calls and lie to my face every time I speak to them in person. It is evident this dealership has a problem standing behind promises made while getting you to purchase a vehicle. As a consumer, there should be some protection against companies that rip them off and knowing the whole time they are doing it just for a dollar. I just want to work something out and get this cleared up. This dealership is a direct reflection on the Kia automobile, regardless if it is privately owned.I filed a complaint with the Atlanta BBB on 10/28/11. It is now 11/30/11 and the Better Business Bureau just informed me they have tried several times to contact the dealership, but the dealership has not responded to any of their attempts. No surprise there. That is their trademark. Well, as the end of the football season nears and still no word from the Kia dealership to no surprise. This may be an independent dealership. However, they represent Kia when they sell their vehicles. I’m not finished pursuing avenues to get this resolved. All is good and they will make any promise to get the deal closed, and once they have you, they forget all about you and the promises they have made.

KIA makes a good car, but your experience with them as a company will be TERRIBLE. KIA delayed (by several months) applying the payoff amount to my old Sorento I sold to them, after I purchased a new one. This ruined my credit because KIA falsely claimed I did not turn in the car and never paid the last payment. This was all lies that they sent to the credit reporting agency. Customer service only transferred me to collections -on a car KIA purchased from me months ago. No one cared to listen or help. I resorted to a consumer lawyer and will hopefully get this resolved. After I involved a lawyer, I started getting letters from KIA in the mail stating I owed money from leased KIAs I had years and years ago. I will never buy from KIA ever again. They will take your money and keep taking, and when they do not apply it to your account, they turn you in to collections.

I bought a 2015 KIA Soul in Aug 2015, a 2015 model. I bought the car based on price and gas mileage. They touted the excellent warranty and reliability of the car. Well, six months later the car stopped running at a stop sign this past Sunday. Its a manual transmission and would not engage the transmission. Had it towed to KIA and was informed today the clutch was burnt out and the warranty on this is 12K miles and the car has 12,900K so guess what. Yep, $1500.00 dollars later I can get my car back. I have driven manual transmissions my entire life and never had any sort of clutch failure. Buyer beware. Please read and advise all your friends to stay as far away from KIA as possible. Supposedly the case was sent to KIA headquarters who denied the claim. Shame on that person and believe me I will spread the word far and wide. DO NOT BUY A KIA.

2010 kia forte - door locks open automatically when stopped. I have had this issue for about a month now. The first time I took it to my kia dealership they said they couldnt re-enact the locks opening on their own and to bring it back when it was doing this. The issue is when I stop, the car is in drive, or reverse, the automatic door locks open...You cant manually or by pushing the button, get them to relock. I feel this is a real safety issue. We took the car back on a morning when the locks had just opened on their own and went straight to the dealerships and spoke again to the service manager, who sat in the car with my husband on dealership property and drove no more than 10 feet, locks opened... They drove a few more feet and they opened again. So the service manager had witnessed the problem himself which he said they needed to have happen to verify what I was telling them. He was supposed to at that time reach out to kia corporate to see if there were any other issues of this type on file or if there were any modules about the locks. We were told on the day the service mgr. witnessed the problem they didnt have time to fix it that day and to bring it back in a couple of weeks and leave it overnight so they could check it first thing in the am. This brings us to today. They have had my car all day and the tech is saying he cant recreate the problem. I dont know why he has to when the service manager has told him the problem. They hadnt done any checks for shorts or faults. I called kia corporate and spoke to customer care there who did call the dealership to see what they had done as there was no record of the dealership logging a record with corporate as they were supposed to do two weeks ago. The service manager wasnt in today. They called him at home and he told them what he witnessed. At that point they said they were going to check for shorts. They had my car all day and are still saying they cant recreate the problem. Apparently tomorrow the service manager will be in and he will try to recreate the problem and were told I want this resolved by end of day tomorrow. I told them I want them to reimburse me for the gas they are using up driving around in my car to diagnose a problem their service manager had already seen. I dont see why, upon the service managers word that there is a problem with the locks, that they dont just replace the door locks. So they have my car for another day, for which I am inconvenience. If they dont fix the problem tomorrow, I will be contacting the COO of Kia Canada and registering my extreme displeasure with this experience. This was my first kia and now it will be my last. The customer service is awful and it appears they just dont want to fix the problem because its still under warranty.

Wires burned out without triggering the fuses, following a jump start by AA
Wires burned out without triggering the fuses, following a jump start by AAA on my 2008 Kia Rondo. The Sansone dealership and Kia headquarters are denying warranty coverage despite faulty original wiring and/or fuse box. The wires should not burn out before the fuses are tripped. Without warranty coverage, which the car has for 100,000 miles or 10 years, it would be precarious to order another jump start when the wiring and/or fuse box are faulty.

Everything the other reviewers are saying is true. First of all the dealer coerced me to pay 900.00 over the sticker price. Before that they distracted me while their assoc. went to the car I chose, a base model ,and tried to change the sticker price from 13,000 to 15,000. When I objected they changed it back. Then the first thousand or so miles the steering wheel and tires would freezing / lock up while turning while driving incredulously. A few times I almost drove into vehicles or caused major accidents. Consumer assistance was no help at all. They refused to fix the problem saying they could not duplicate the issue. So I contacted dvohs to file a formal complaint. Then the vehicle wouldnt start at all many times, I had to call for jumps and tows sometimes in freezing weather. At ten thousand miles the clutch failed and had to be completely replaced. Now at 46,000 miles the car needs to be pushed down the hill just to get it to drive. Kia consumer hassle stated that the promises of bumper to bumper warranty does not exist. We are sorry they misled you that way. The warranty only covers the powertrain. The promise of free tires for the lifetime of the vehicle a total lie. They stated they are not obligated to honor any promises made by their representatives. The repairs at 46,000 miles which will be my total financial responsibility. They denied ever receiving previous calls at consumer assistance which is appalling. The dealership Columbus Ga hung up the phone in my face when I described my situation and refused to answer any more of my calls or voicemails. Kia refuses to honor their PROMISES TO customers and blatantly admit their claims of 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty is a complete lie. Never buy Kia. If you have one trade it in for something else or you will be hung out to dry. The attorney general, Better Business Bureau, and consumer affairs have abandoned the Kia consumers. I will be saddled with bills I never expected for a car that is obviously a lemon and will never ever function properly. I spent my entire savings paying for this car. Now I have no money and soon at 46,000 miles no car or money to fix the car. There is no justice for KIA Soul owners either.

Car engine blew-up @ 50,811 miles on 12/08/2017, just had oil changed on 11/14/2017, car had 49,555 running perfectly fine. On 12/08/2017 husband arrives at work @ 7 am and all his co-workers were looking at him strangely as the car started to sound like a helicopter above. He backed into the parking space then shut down engine POW all the engine oil pours out, as co-workers supplied him to put cardboard under the engine, I called KIA roadside service for tow. They came and towed to KIA dealership and they are not taking responsibility. Im still under warranty. They are playing a blame game where I changed my oil saying its a faulty oil filter. Why is it I drove my vehicle just fine for 1,200 miles (3 weeks) and not a single drop of oil in my driveway, not a drop. Then a little drive up the road approx. 5 miles as every weekday to my husbands employment at 7 am it just blows up, he takes side streets not even the highway. Then the Dealer states there was no oil and no oil on dipstick, and engine light on. Duh... because its on the concrete at my husbands parking spot. Heres a pic at his work. If it were a faulty oil filter/gasket my engine would have blown way before. A lot of engine specialist say it sounds like the Pistons blew through the motor.KIA are crooks and need to be held accountable. I maintain my car, Im a disabled 57 year old with disabilities, this is my only way to get to and from my doctors and its making me have setbacks, I was in the ER on 12/13/2017 due to stress and anxiety and excruciating pain, an episode of my fibromyalgia. While in ER they also had findings that Im gonna need spinal surgery. My C-2 is fractured, I need my car or at least a rental, my finances are exhausted, I need surgery, follow ups, rehabilitation and have no car yet. Im still paying my car payments, providing insurance for my car thats $400 per month, plus I had to rent a car to get to and from neurosurgeon/husbands work/MRIS, that costed me $30 per day, I have to return it after my neurosurgeon appointment on 12/22/2017.Its disgusting that this Company KIA is so corrupt and is getting away with their defective Automobiles, when I started researching there are 1,000s of Kias blowing engines of cars with such a few miles, these are NEW cars we the people are paying good money for, why is it NO ONE WILL HELP US KIA CUSTOMERS AND MAKE THINGS RIGHT. THIS IS DANGERING MY LIFE... IM GETTING SICKER... MAKE ME WHOLE. See because the service writer gets commission if its not Kias fault, and zero commission if it is their fault. Makes sense?Meanwhile my health is declining for a selfish greedy company, youre telling me they have millions of cars sitting, some they sink and they cannot make things right and replace these vehicles. Yet we allow these cars to come to the United States to squeeze us dry selling defective Automobiles, so unfair. Since this all happened I want to know something, I often drive with my little grandbabies in my car, what if we were on the freeway??? And the engine died??? Would we all be alive??? PLEASE MAKE THEM ACCOUNTABLE! INVESTIGATE... INVESTIGATE. MAKE THIS RIGHT. Thank you and God Bless though driving KIAS... BEWARE.

I have to do work on my car from time to time. The last car was not safe for my little one to ride in, so I went and bought a brand new car. I thought that buying a NEW car, I would not be getting someone Elses problem! In December, my car started needing a jump, then it ran good for a while and then I heard a clicking that sounded like it was coming from the battery area. It has started blowing out air when the air is turned off. The clicking and blowing air seems to come together. Now I hear this while driving. I am rethinking buying the NEW KIA Rio for the safety of my child. Dont worry now there is a popping noise coming from the wheel area? If anyone has any thoughts or ideas, please help! Im the first owner but KIA says they are not sure what it is and Ill have to pay. HELP, please from a loving mother to another loving parent, grandparent, or anyone kind enough to help. People are buying these cars for their family, wife, or kids and it looks like they may not be safe for anyone. I think it is safe to say no KIA I have ever seen gets the gas mileage they claim. I paid off my car but do not plan to buy another KIA no matter what! Please stop buying or try to stop them from selling before they kill people with these unsafe cars!!!!!!!

My mom has a 2013 Kia Soul. My mom does not drive on the freeway nor does she travel. She is retired and only drives around town. The car only has 30,000 miles on it is 6 years. She gets it maintenance on time at the dealership only. Last year the car started jerking and jumping when you would step on the gas while you were driving. She took it to the dealership. They fixed it, now this year the car is paid off and my mom has moved to Arizona from California. The car is doing it again, and now the engine light is coming on. She now has to pay big bucks to get it diagnosed and fixed maybe. My point is. After buying a new car off the lot, loving and caring for the car by way of dealership only like they suggest, using the best gas, and very low mileage, this car should last forever! So KIAs in my opinion are ** cars, now my 71 years old mother has to be dealing with this instead of enjoying her retirement. IM PISSED!

My wife took our car to Kia for a performance issue. Under the warranty, they repaired the issue which was a cylinder coil but told her that the MotorCraft spark plugs used by Jiffy Lube in her last tune-up would have to be replaced at our cost. They told her we would have to pay to have the proper Champion/KIA plugs installed. According to MotorCraft, these are the proper spark plugs for her make and model. Will they next be telling me what brand of motor oil to use when I get an oil change? I thought it was illegal to force someone to buy specifically branded parts.

While driving to see family 260 miles from home in our 2012 Kia Sorento with our 3 children and dog in the car, the engine started making a knocking noise. No check engine light came on and we had no warning. Since it was -10 degrees outside and we have our 5 month old baby, we tried to make it to the exit. Unfortunately about 2 miles after the noise started, the car completely died! We pulled over and tried to restart it with no luck. This car has 62,000 miles. Thats it! Tow insurance ended at 60,000 miles (of course) and we had to sit with the state trooper because it was so cold outside. The dealership we had it towed to was very helpful (Prestige Kia Eau Claire, WI). However Kia headquarters was awful to us. No help with a rental or the tow. Turns out the engine is seized and needs to be replaced. Garbage! We will never buy another Kia. Now we have to drive all the way back to get our car. Very unhappy!

We have a 2014 Kia Soul, now has 104,182 miles on it. Took the vehicle for an oil change on 3/21/18 and advised the shop that the vehicle had been going out in the midst of driving. They kept it for a couple of days and $100.19 later, we were told we needed a new engine, but they had new cars on sale! (That! is sarcasm.) They didnt tell us why, and quoted the new engine to be $5100+ tax. The car sat in my driveway for about a week as my husband and I debated, should we get a new car? Or get a loan to pay for a new engine? But then, if we get the new engine, what if that triggers something else to go wrong? Called Customer Affairs, created a case, took the car back to the dealership, who has ONLY been the ones to handle our vehicle, for oil changes only, as we have never had any issues.Kept the car for TWO WEEKS, never heard a word, had to call, then we got the runaround, and was told that we were denied any help from the DPSM. We escalated the case, and had to call back the next day to be told all they could do is offer $1500 off of a $6800+ engine. Mind you, we were originally quoted $5100+tax. Not only am I livid, I am out a vehicle, and have been for a month now, Ive had to put wear and tear on my other vehicle while my husband and I share it, and now have to find a way out of this KIA SOUL problem.

My Venga 1.4 purchased in Nov 2014 has not to date reached more than 30 mpg approx. It has just over 4000 miles on the clock and I keep getting fobbed off. I have been told Its not run in. When asked how many miles do I need to do no proper answer given. Its down to my driving or the roads I use. Strange I use a roads or motorways I have had a license for 50 years and have driven most cars on the road includes HGVs. No one seems to give me a proper answer. I do not expect 42mpg as they state but I do expect at least 38mpg. I have keep a spreadsheet and mechanics that have seen it and customer service say that it is not a good mileage. But to date nothing has been corrected. KIA good car I do not think so. I had a Ford Focus 1100 and I used to get far more mpgs in that. My son has a Ford Mondeo estate top of the range 2 liter engine and gets 38mpg in that. So what has gone wrong? Recommend KIA. No thanks.

1 week after purchasing a new 2014 Soul we took it back with concerned with a really bad bog when trying to accelerate. At that time we was told by Kia of Dayton service center said that that was just the way they were. Being an ASE certified tech for over 35 years experience I was not too happy with that answer basically saying that their vehicles all run like crap and this was normal. Then my wife tells me that the transmission started to get hard to shift. Now this is at 7500 time for our first oil change, so we take it in for our first oil change and check about the transmission. After 1,200 dollars later they said damage was due to my wifes driving and would not warranty anything. But the funny thing is that our 2003 Saturn Vue has 139,000 miles on it. Ive taught my daughter how to drive it and my wife drove the car everyday and has all original clutch in it. So you tell me if a person can drive one stick shift car for over 10 years and a brand new Kia Soul 7 months and needs a new clutch. Just ask yourself how good of a vehicle did Kia build. Well I would not trust ours to take out of town. I mean would you put your family in a car that has been broken since new? Of course not. So I did what I would advise every other Kia owner do the same - go buy a real car.

We bought a new Kia Soul from Doug Smith Kia in American Fork, UT on Dec 31, 2014. Drove home to Texas and noticed a rhythmic, vibrating, humming noise when we cruised at highway speeds. Possibly this is some kind of harmonic balance problem. It has gotten a bit worse as we have driven the car. It now has 2000 miles on the odometer. Took the car to local Kia dealer in Amarillo, Tx, Petes Car Smart, and although the two head mechanics rode with me and clearly heard and felt the problem, they could not make a diagnosis. They had the car for three days, said they had calls into the Kia engineering tech dept., but could not get help. They had me drive another brand new Soul right off of the truck, and it did the same thing. The head mechanic rode with me and he heard and felt it, too. We are not sure what course of action to take now.

Kia has fluffed up their look but their quality is still crap. Ive had my car in for service 8 times in 16 months. I bought my Kia Niro brand new and started having problems within less than 5 months of ownership. Im suing Kia to buy it back as a lemon. They dont communicate at all. They are not helpful and try to draw out the process as long as possible. Ive lost countless hours... even months at a time bringing this car into being repaired. 5 of the issues are repeat of the same thing. There was another reoccurring defect that took a couple repair attempts to get corrected. Parts on back order take a month to get. Techs at the dealership have talked to Kia techs at corporate and no one knows how to fix the car. The 5 reoccurring repair issue is still an ongoing issue because Kia doesnt know whats wrong. My transmission has already started to fault. My car almost stalled once after 5 months of ownership and the most recent issue is that it wont accelerate or shift into the next gear. Huge safety issues! Ill probably get into an accident but Kia is in no hurry to address any of that.

Kia has very disappointing customer service. I bought my Kia back into 2012
Kia has very disappointing customer service. I bought my Kia back into 2012. It is a 2013 Kia Sorento Ex. I have approximately 89,000 miles on it. My oil check light started coming on and off (it would flicker). I brought it into Kia and they said that my oil pressure sending unit is failing and that is why the light was going on and off and it would need to be replaced. They quoted me it would cost between $800-900 to fix. However, when I bought my Kia I got an extended all power train warranty good up to 200,000 miles. They said that it wasnt covered under the warranty though. Even though the actual part cost is $25 (where its located in the engine is why the labor is so expensive), but if you read the reviews of Kias, this is a huge failing part of the car. Many people have issues with this and its very common in kias. So why wouldnt they recall the part? They recalled them back on the 2011 models, but not the 2013. They are still a big problem. If this part fails, my engine would be destroyed. So then does Kia cover the cost under my power train warranty? Its a joke. When I called Kia to complain of this issue, they couldnt give me an answer after I asked them this question. It failed on my car while it was parked in my garage. I woke up to find an extreme amount of oil on my garage floor under my car. Checked my oil and there was zero in it. I had to have a service come to my house since my car was unable to move without ruining the engine. After replacing the part and labor it costed me $502.00. I would never buy a Kia again.

We purchased a 2013 Kia Soul because we have many friends and family who had recently done so and were happy. I have followed all of the warranty rules, I have had my maintenance done timely and have proof. My Kia out of nowhere sputtered twice with no dash warning lights on and died in the middle of the road. It was towed to Cardinal Kia where I was told by Ryan in service that my engine was blown, within 15 minutes he called me again and explained that he found a bulletin in the computer regarding this issue and told me changing the oil would fix the problem, I was skeptical. We picked the car up and less than half way home the car died and there was oil spewing out the motor all over. Now we have been left with no car not even a courtesy car and told we have to pay first for them to tear down the motor? Ive done all they have asked to ensure my warranty is in good standing and then this, my Kia has 50,000 kms on it. Im never going to buy another Kia and their customer service sucks, I have been hung up on and told my vehicle will sit in their parking lot untouched unless I pay for it.

The car was taken to Hillside Kia 153 12 Hillside Ave., Jamaica NY 11432. THEY replaced the alternator. Nine months later, the alternator went again and I took the car to a mechanic on Merrick Blvd. on 109 St. Jamaica, NY because it was out of the warranty and AGAIN the alternator was replaced. Today 8/23/11, the alternator went again. I felt that the car that was sold to me from the start was a lemon and I was looking to pay this car off BUT now i feel that I have been taken advantaged of as a consumer and I am looking for assistance as a consumer from your agency.

I own a 2016 Kia Soul with only 650 miles on it, purchased 10-15-15. I purchased it with 8 miles on it but after 3 weeks of ownership, I HATE IT! Kia sucks and they should be bought and sold off to the lowest bidder. From day one after I put $5000 down on this piece of ** it has been acting weird and I cant return it without losing my Fn cash down payment. These are the problems I experienced so far... It gets poor gas mileage - not as advertised. Only gets 21 city and 25 hwy in a 1.6 liter 130 horse power 4 cylinder moped engine. It shifts funny. It takes off when you press the gas kind of shaky/jerky and rough. The braking in it is awful and jerks at the end of a stop. The road noise and engine noise is annoying and LOUD. The idling at a stop sign or traffic light is much the same as a Harley motorcycle - shaky as hell. The dome lights cuts off when they want to and finally the pick up/take off is slower than a riding lawn mower and just as sketchy. My biggest problem is I was told 1 week after I purchased the car, all new cars will come with backup camera which only the exclaim and plus had and when I went over to look at the new 2016s they all had tinted windows, backup cameras and touch screen display...1 fn week after I got mine and the dealers knew this before they sold me this piece of ** with no tint, camera or touch screen for the same price I would have paid for the additions. I bought my Kia Carens from new 08 reg. I have had problems one after another with it. I have been complaining about the gear stick from almost the year I got the car. I got told it was the clutch that was the problem. I got a new clutch fitted but still got problems with changing the gears. I took it back and again got told it was my clutch. When I said it was a new clutch, I got told it must be fitted wrong, to take it back to the garage that fitted it. I did that and was told it was fitted okay. I took the car to another Kia dealer and they said it was the gear linkage and repaired it. A few days later, it started doing it again.I have told the Kia dealer that the gears are still not changing, that it jams. When trying to change gears, I have to turn off the engine and put it into gear before it will go. I still dont have that fixed. Then about two years ago, I got a noise coming from the engine. I took it back to the garage to get it fixed. It was the turbo that had blew. Three weeks later, I had the same trouble. I took it back again and got told the turbo had blown again, that it must have been a faulty turbo. Last Oct., I was at Aberdeen and the car stopped suddenly on the motorway. I had to get pushed into the side of the road by the police. I called the RAC out. The engine was flooded with oil. I was told that it was one of the fuel injectors that had gone. I had to hire a car to take me back home the next day and the RAC took my car back to Kia a few days later. I had to keep the hired car three weeks till I got mine back again. A new turbo was fitted. It turned out that it was the fuel injector leaking that was blowing the turbo. That was three turbos within a year that was fitted and every time my car is off the road, I have to hire a car as it is a disabled car and my husband was going through chemotherapy and I needed the car to take him to hospital. Now, I have a new problem with the electrics. I was out three weeks ago when my lights went out on the dashboard and the police were behind me and pulled me over. It turned out when the dashboard lights went out, so did my tail lights so I got a slip of paper from the police telling me I had been pulled over and I had 21 days to get the lights fixed. I phoned Kia and booked it in the next morning. I got told it would be Friday, 5 days after I was stopped. That was fine. I took the car in to get it fixed. It was in all morning. I got a call saying it was ready for pick up. I picked it up and was told it wasnt fixed. I had to wait for parts.I got a call later that day telling me it was booked in for Thursday. Last week, I got a call on Wednesday telling me not to take it in; the parts were still not in. I would get a call on Fri. telling me when to take it back to get fixed. I did not get the call. The car still hasnt been fixed and the 21 days the police gave me is up tomorrow. I had to call the police and explain that I am waiting for parts to come for it, and the garage cant stamp the slip till it has been fixed. Now I have to get a letter from Kia telling them that Im waiting for parts coming in. Thats 3 weeks Ive been waiting. I cant go out at night because if I touch the switch to indicate the lights go out. Its fine through the day when the lights are off. I will never buy another Kia car. It has been trouble since day one. If anyone asked me how I would rate Kia, I would say keep clear of them.

Rear shocks were leaking - I had to replace rear tires, car has 56k miles. Kia says Kias 60k warranty or 5-year warranty is void because 15 wheels were changed to 17 and car wasnt build for 17 wheels and tires (give me a break). I asked several tire shops. All said tires were ruined because of defective leaking shocks, not the size of wheels or tires.

I went into Kia for a recall on the engine Sept 2017. On Jan 2018 the engine dies out on me. I get the worse customer service in the world. I never get calls back. I made a complaint to an employee and he tells me it will be approved for a new engine and he will call me back by the end of the day to let me know when the loaner car is ready for me. 4 days later I get a call saying they have a rental car ready for me to pick up when Im ready. I go in to find out I have to pay $200 deposit out of my pockets. I dont understand how my car engine blows out because of the recall and now I have to pay $200 for a rental car? Kia should provide me with a loaner car or pay that themselves.

DO NOT BUY KIA!!! ITS NOT WORTH IT!! 3 months ago on 4/1/2021, Folsom Lake Kia received my new 2020 Kia Sorento for repairs from the result of a collision (WHICH I HAD JUST BROUGHT SIX MONTHS AGO). They sent my vehicle to Toyota Collision center (right next door) which according to Toyota Collision center would take 1 month to be completed/repaired. However, they notified me that they werent responsible for ordering/shipping of the necessary parts needed to repair my vehicle, that Kia Roseville was responsible. Toyota Collision was ONLY responsible for receiving the parts to repair the damaged car.For the first 30 days, my insurance covered my rental. But come to find out my repairs were going to take longer, due to a part being sent from kia damaged and received damaged by Toyota collision center. Toyota Collision also informed us the remaining parts were on back order due to covid, so you would think they would try to compensate their loyal customers in any way they could. That negligence put my cars repair status back a whole month. So I went to speak with Folsom Lake Toyota collision center to compensate me, since the part was going to have to be reordered because of it arriving damaged. Toyota collision center said its not their job to assists us with a rental, that Folsom lake kia should since theyre the ones working with our insurance and ordering/shipping the parts needed to repair my vehicle. So I took the advice of many people working on site, and I spoke with Folsom Lake Kias head supervisor (Doug I believe his name was) to get my issue handled at the lowest level possible. My wife and I, inquired about a rental or loaner vehicle, until my vehicle was completed/repaired.He informed us that it doesnt work that way and that we would have to contact Kia Motors of America to receive assistance. So we did.... And since then Kia Motors of America along with: Kia Motors Finance, Kia Consumer Affairs, Kia Assistance Team, Kia Collections Department have ALL avoided assisting us with solving our problem, (due to their initial negligence). Theyve ALL hung up on my wife and I, kept us on hold for hours on end, kept transferring my wife and I to different departments to avoid us speaking with their supervisors, been rude and said disrespectful things, tried to get us to sign falsified documents. So 3 (almost 4 months later) of rude, careless, and negligent departments, customer service associates, and supervisors (JILLIAN in collections department being the worst!) Im FED UP, with the horrible service Ive had to endure over the 3 months, which has caused tremendous stress on my wife and I, especially since we have 3 kids one of which is a new born! So since its virtually impossible to reach the head of these departments (cause they keep you on hold). So Ive had to leave a review here! To warn others of the horrible service, THAT COMES WITH PURCHASING A KIALong story short, DO NOT BUY FROM KIA! They dont solve issues at the lowest level possible and DEFINITELY DONT solve issues at the higher levels possible! Even in the midsts of a pandemic we cant receive any genuine help from ANYONE! & if you dont believe me read some reviews from Kia Motor finance!! They do not care about helping you! Money is everything! NOT YOU OR FAMILIES WELLBEING! Be safe, & God bless!

On 11/25/18 I purchased a vehicle from KIA of Irvine. They totally scammed me on the service and maintenance contracts and also the theft deterrent on the car. They went as far as to fraudulently forged my signatures on the maintenance and service contracts. Those two added up to $4000.00, they also snuck in $1495.00 for the theft. So a total of $5495.00 added to my contract without my knowledge of it. The people that work in finance are nothing less than thieves and liars. None. And for you people that work in sales your hands arent clean either. You might not be directly involved in the fraud and the Payment Packing that is being used in finance, all of you most definitely are aware of whats going on over there in finance. When you guys forged my signature on those two contracts, you then submitted them for payment and then received payment for them. That is fraud!! And I am 100% convinced that the owner of this dealership has got to be aware of the practices being used there to commit fraud to scam their customers out of money. HE KNOWS. Every one in sales and finance are all thiefs and I assure you, that you will get what you have coming.

I parked our Kia just after the last oil change and service. We bought a new van, a 2007 Toyota Sienna. I never even thought of trading for a Kia. The Kia was driven off and on. My next service was listed in miles from the dealership. I had no idea that there was a month limit too. It was about two and a half years and we were going to get it registered to put back on the road for our daughter. It drove fine to the dealership except when I slowed the RPM to stop, then it would cut off. There were no knocks, clicks, smells except for a woodsy smell that they described as old gas. They cleaned the old gas out, did a tune-up, put in a new coil and did an oil change. They said it still wasnt right so they kept it over night. The next morning I called and they told me that the engine was shot. They said cylinder no. 6 was dead. I had it towed to AAA, a shop that we trust. They just did a compression test and analyses. They said it was cylinder no. 4. I talked to another Kia dealership and had it towed there. I gave them permission to check further. They pulled the head, used a scope and checked. I was told that a valve was bent on cylinder no. 4. I researched this and found at that bent valves are caused usually by a jumped timing belt. It was replaced at 54,000. Later, this service manager called the other dealerships service department and said that it was cylinder no. 4, not 6 and that the rocker arm was broken and laying in the cylinder. That is not what I was told.

On July 19, 2012, I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento from Riverchase Kia, 2200 Pelham Parkway, Pelham, AL 35124. I shopped this vehicle on their website. I wrote the VIN, stock number, color, and price down on my pad. When I got to the lot, I found the vehicle. During negotiation, I was told if they honored the website price, they could not let me take advantage of the $5000 pull-in/drag-in trade that they advertised on television. I was told by the salesman and the finance person there was no rebate on the 2013 models Sorentos. During closing of my vehicle, I noticed $5000 trade was made up of $3500 trade plus a $1500 rebate. They told me the manufacturer would not allow the dealer do both. If this is true, they need to express this writing on their website as well as on their TV commercials. All this brings to the question of truth in advertising. Please address this, I feel somewhat cheated. You have a product that can stand on its own, Dont taint it with deceiving advertising practices.
