I have a 2013 Kia Soul I purchased new. Since I purchased it I have had an issue with the car hanging up when I shift it into reverse. It is an automatic. Ive taken it to the useless dealership I purchased it from and of course they cant fix it because the computer isnt throwing a trouble code. Its really frustrating when you purchase a new car and from day one the transmission hangs up and the idiots at the dealership cant fix it for you. I have stopped going to Folger and will go to another dealer for the next service and see if they can repair it. Anyone have a similar issue?

My family bought a brand new Kia Sorento from this dealership 7 months ago and it almost took their lives on the highway when the car suddenly stalled and stopped. We had our car towed to the dealership and they told us that the alternator was the problem and that our mechanic had spilt oil into it and it wasnt a warrantable item. We choose to not to believe them and had the car towed out and the alternator inspected and we found out that it was a failed part that they dont make any more for Kias. We sent the alternator to them after they told us to, to show them that they were putting peoples lives in danger and that they should have warrantied it and paid for it but instead they call us and tell us no. Instead of taking care of us they keep spinning this around trying to take advantage of us just so they do not have to pay. Keep your family safe and dont bother buying a car from here. Were not gonna give up. Were gonna make sure to fight this cause this is a crime.

Worse car (Kia Rio) ever to buy. Anyone thinking of buying a Kia... DONT. Worse customer service, cheap cars. Bought mine in 2003 after 120,000 kms needs a new Transmission. Door locks are faulty and should be recalled. I have had problems yearly with brakes. I wish there would be a lawyer doing a class action lawsuit against Kia for ripping off so many people.

My Kia Sorento was almost 5yrs. I did lots of highway run so it had miles beyond 100,000 thousand, but this vehicle was maintained as recommended and only by the dealer from which it was purchased. Driving along and without any warning it just blew up. Towed it to the dealer and of course they don’t know what could have caused it. I Googled and found out that others have problems with these vehicles. I contacted Kia Motors and a lady by the name of Heather told me theres an investigation into these vehicles and my vehicle was one of them. She said not to worry I’ll be given a loaner and my vehicle will be fixed and someone will get back to me.To date no one from Kia Motors has gotten back to me. A message was left on my phone by Kevin, and I returned his call 4 times leaving messages twice to no avail. It was someone from my dealership called to say my vehicle was not included so Kia was not responsible. In trying to see if my insurance would cover this I paid said dealer to strip the engine and they said the third cylinder blew through the engine block. (approx. a $7,000 fix) The insurance personnel took a look and said it’s a mechanical problem they will not cover.GUESS WHO IS LEFT HOLDING THE BAG? Me the consumer! I will give a 2 star because I seem to have gotten way better service from the vehicle than most of the others that I have read, but I still think Kia is lacking towards their customers. It cannot be right for big companies to be getting away with doing things like this to poor consumers.

I am currently in my third lease with Kia and up until now would have remained a loyal customer. I lease a 2016 Kia Soul. It broke down on the highway with 35,000 miles. I get it taken to Kia of Bedford. That whole experience was awful (Kia Roadside Assistance stinks) I am told that I some type of rodent had been eating wires in my car causing extensive damage and it was not a warranty or Kia issue that I would pay out of pocket. Meanwhile I google this and find Kia uses soy based wire covering which attracts rodents. Kia still will not accept responsibility. I file a car insurance claim. Kia has my car for a MONTH! They never had parts in stock, and kept finding new things wrong with my car. I had to call for updates. I found the people working in the service department to be rude, and very cold hearted to the need of the customer. I filed two separate claims with Kia Consumer Affairs because I thought at the least I deserved to be reimbursed my car payment for the month I paid and did not drive my vehicle. They do not respond to phone calls or emails. Basically blow you off. My case was escalated to a Steven ** who called me once to say he needed paperwork that I had already emailed him and hasnt responded to a phone call or email since. I sent letters to the executive team and no response. Kia is a joke. They dont care about the customer. They dont care about keeping customers. And they sell piece of ** cars that you get stuck with and they dont feel bad or care about that either. If you want a good, reliable car, good customer service from a business that cares DO NOT GO TO KIA! Kia just wants your money-but they will not provide any kind of good service to earn it. Run, run, run to any other dealership but a Kia dealership.

2010 Kia Optima service - I have taken my car on three different occasions for the front driver side wheel. I hit a curve and was trying to make sure that the rim and/or the tire was not bad. Each time I have taken it, they said they could not find anything wrong with the tire or the rim. But the tires have been rotated and now the rim is back on the front and my steering wheel is shaking badly. I took it back today and stayed there from 8AM to 1PM, to be told that I need to get a wheel alignment, tire balance and rotation, but it would be another 2 hours. I told them that I have been there all day and I have to go. This is not right. How many times do I have to take my car to get it serviced? The end result? No service.

I loved my Kia 2013 Kia Sportage. I was a Honda and Toyota owner for years and on an impulsive buy I decide to go against my own advice and bought my 2013 Kia Sportage brand spanking new. I really didnt have a complaint about Kia until I was riding down the highway one evening and the car just lost power. After towing it away the mechanic told me that the engine was seized and it was a $7000 repair. He advised me to call Kia because this appears to be a Known issue. After doing my own research, I discovered that there have been a number of recalls on these cars (55,000 in the united states) and a some across Canada. Well long story short....my engine number is not in the recall list along with 100s of others who have lodged investigations with Transport Canada. They have a list of these cars from 2011-2013 that were sold with a defect. Buyers Beware. Kia knows about the issue but refuses to fix it. After the agent wished me all the best.... I can never buy or endorse Kia again.

Rear shocks were leaking - I had to replace rear tires, car has 56k miles. Kia says Kias 60k warranty or 5-year warranty is void because 15 wheels were changed to 17 and car wasnt build for 17 wheels and tires (give me a break). I asked several tire shops. All said tires were ruined because of defective leaking shocks, not the size of wheels or tires.

Perth Kia service department made adjustment to the airbag sensor under the passenger seat each time the car was in for oil change for three years during warranty period. After warranty expired, I went in for oil change and asked them to look at the airbag sensor. They told me it was broken and would cost around 1500 dollars to replace. Unfortunately I have had an extremely bad experience with Kia cars. Ive bought 2 new Kia cars recently (64 and 67 plates) and have had nothing but trouble. The car I have at present (Picanto) had its 30,000 mile service last week only to find out that the tyre pressure settings had been set either by the main dealers technicians or at manufacture by Kia at a dangerously low level meaning no warning signal in the inbuilt computer alighted to tell me it was being driven underinflated. The upshot of this is that both front tyres are at a dangerous level and both Kia and the main dealers, JCB Ebbsfleet, will not take responsibility for their error. I completed a complaints form with both Kia and the main dealer at JCB Ebbsfleet and after 8 days I was still not contacted in any way. I followed up today and was told its not their problem and they have no interest in it.They have left me with a car which is a potential death trap and have no interest in putting their errors right. BEWARE!!!! They sell you are car but after that youre on your own, after sales care is nonexistent, their complaints procedure is an absolute joke. Needless to say I will never buy another Kia and certainly not through JCB Ebbsfleet Kia dealership who have really been shown up to be very poor and extremely unprofessional.

I bought a 2007 Kia Sorento off the showroom floor, and it has been good mechanically. Kia of Vero Beach has been the only one to service the vehicle. The problem is that there is a noise when it shifts gears and it is getting worse. I went to the dealership and asked the service manager, Mr. Danny **, to have them look at it to clear the noise. He informed me I would have to pay for them to analyze the problem, which is clearly under warranty. I refused to do so and the problem still has not been resolved. After only pulling the dipstick out, they determined that two litters had collapsed from starving of oil. With no service record because I change the oil myself (who can afford what a dealership charges?), engine repair/replacement is not covered under warranty. I purchased new 2011 KIA Sorento in May 2010. Immediately, I began having issues with the sunroof vibrating and the fuel cover not opening when pushing the button on the driver door. In one instance, I was completely on empty at a desolate gas station and had to get my two-year-old out of the car seat to have her push the button while I pulled the cover open. In the spring of 2012, the transmission started shifting hard or not shifting at all. When the transmission does not shift out of gears, I shut down the vehicle and restart, at which point the problem goes away for the meantime. I took it to the dealer several times and they did not detect a problem. I was later told by the service writer that another woman did come in with the same issue, but their electronic printout says all was okay when hooking up the car to check electronics. I told them it was most likely an electrical problem, possibly a short, and the service man said that would take them forever to check. Service writer then asked if I would give them all high marks when I receive my visit survey; otherwise, he would get a call for anything but the highest of ratings. I continued to have rough shifting issues and the dashboard does not show the gear when this occurs now. In late summer of 2012, the vehicle would not turn on at all. It was getting a jump start several times a week. I had the two-year-old battery replaced per their request. I still believe the issues stem from something greater. The driver side window is touchy and does not go up at various times. I have been caught by sudden rain several times with the window unable to go up. Beginning in Nov. 2012, the brake would not engage and the push button start wont either. I got to turn it on after three times 60 seconds of holding down brake and push start. I have made multiple phone calls and many visits to the service dept. of the dealership with no resolutions.

In December 2008, I bought a 2009 model of Kia Picanto. I was given the 5-year, 100,000-km warranty book. At present, my car has made 80,000 km thus far. Apart from the 1st 1,000 km free service, no one informed me that I had to maintain my car using only the Kia workshop. Over the years, I had maintained my Kia car and kept the receipts showing that I had serviced my car, but recently, it developed a problem in the engine. I went to the Kia workshop to ask if I could use my 5-year, 100,000-km warranty to fix the problem. But upon arriving there, the person at the reception informed me that it was not possible because there were no previous records in the Kia workshop of my car. I had explained from my own side that I had serviced my car on a regular basis, and changed the necessary parts bought in the Kia store/workshop, but was given the same answer. I feel that my 5-year, 100,000-km warranty rights were denied to me. I am certain that I would not want to deal with Kia Motors any more unless, if somehow, someone from this company tries to convince me otherwise.

On July 19, 2012, I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento from Riverchase Kia, 2200 Pelham Parkway, Pelham, AL 35124. I shopped this vehicle on their website. I wrote the VIN, stock number, color, and price down on my pad. When I got to the lot, I found the vehicle. During negotiation, I was told if they honored the website price, they could not let me take advantage of the $5000 pull-in/drag-in trade that they advertised on television. I was told by the salesman and the finance person there was no rebate on the 2013 models Sorentos. During closing of my vehicle, I noticed $5000 trade was made up of $3500 trade plus a $1500 rebate. They told me the manufacturer would not allow the dealer do both. If this is true, they need to express this writing on their website as well as on their TV commercials. All this brings to the question of truth in advertising. Please address this, I feel somewhat cheated. You have a product that can stand on its own, Dont taint it with deceiving advertising practices.

We have a 2014 Kia Soul, now has 104,182 miles on it. Took the vehicle for an oil change on 3/21/18 and advised the shop that the vehicle had been going out in the midst of driving. They kept it for a couple of days and $100.19 later, we were told we needed a new engine, but they had new cars on sale! (That! is sarcasm.) They didnt tell us why, and quoted the new engine to be $5100+ tax. The car sat in my driveway for about a week as my husband and I debated, should we get a new car? Or get a loan to pay for a new engine? But then, if we get the new engine, what if that triggers something else to go wrong? Called Customer Affairs, created a case, took the car back to the dealership, who has ONLY been the ones to handle our vehicle, for oil changes only, as we have never had any issues.Kept the car for TWO WEEKS, never heard a word, had to call, then we got the runaround, and was told that we were denied any help from the DPSM. We escalated the case, and had to call back the next day to be told all they could do is offer $1500 off of a $6800+ engine. Mind you, we were originally quoted $5100+tax. Not only am I livid, I am out a vehicle, and have been for a month now, Ive had to put wear and tear on my other vehicle while my husband and I share it, and now have to find a way out of this KIA SOUL problem.

I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento in mid-2012. We love the model and its features; however, the car has less than 12,000 miles on it and its making us question the quality of the electronics installed in the brand. The electronic throttle control has now failed twice on my wife while heading to work. I mean, a total failure in rush hour traffic no less! It is a major safety related issue and KIA needs to man up and get it right. So far, however, Coleman KIA in Ewing, New Jersey has been anything but zealous, accommodating or attentive in this matter. IMO, Their 1st attempt at a fix was a software REBOOT/ UPDATE.This morning, it happened again (6 days later), again displaying a CEL/MIL and entering limp mode (correlating code P0638, 2nd time) along with 0 throttle response, on the interstate no less! My wife was fortunate enough to be able to coast it into the breakdown lane and restart it, though in limp mode. These incidents have put my family at great risk. Im not happy about this at all and can only wring my hands as I prepare for the We cleaned the throttle body again, statement noted on the service ticket. Make no bones, KIA. I will not hesitate to litigate if any harm befalls me or mine because of this. I just hope you got it right this time. If I have to apply for a lemon reimbursement and head for another brand, so be it. Right now though, I just pray you dont kill us all with unreliable electronics/build quality.

All one has to do is You Tube a woman who had a child in her Kia truck that took control of her and raced the car on a highway at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. This happened for over 30 miles and they settled with her only because it was on the police cam.In my case, my Kia literally started on its own and rolled down a hill into the woods. When I told Kia that the same situation was shown on You Tube where a lady had a Hybrid that she recorded to start on its own. I have sent a message to customer service about my cracked bumper and I am extremely upset with the situation. Here are the pictures regarding my e-mail and I would like a response from customer service. I am an unsatisfied customer and I regret buying a car from Kia since I was not aware that the plastic was this cheap. I did not hit a snow bank nor did I run over anything. They were arrogant and unhelpful in so many ways and blamed me, the customer, for the cracked bumper without any interest in hearing my side of the story. My e-mail is ** and I will be waiting for the prompt reply this coming week. Thank you and have a good day!

I purchased a new 2015 Kia Soul on August 21, 2015. I immediately noticed chips in my paint from normal driving conditions such as pebbles hitting the front. At my first oil change I told the service shop about it. Their response was A water based paint was used on this model of the Soul. There is nothing we can do to fix the paint issue. They then sold me a freaking marker to color over the chips. The problem is these chips went all the way through the paint layers and you can see indentations when they are colored with the marker and every week I find more paint chips. I had a 2013 Soul and I loved it and I never had a problem with the paint.

My experience with Kia Roadside Assistance has been a very positive one so far. If I need any type of roadside assistance, I give Kia Roadside Assistance a call or I use the app that is on my phone and begin whats needed to get the wheels turning as to me getting taken care of. Every time I have called Kia Roadside Assistance its usually concerning a battery dead issue. Someone from Kia Roadside takes my information and sends someone out right away to give me assistance. The wait for the technician sent out by Kia Roadside Assistance is never a long wait. The technician from Kia Roadside Assistance is usually kind and straightforward offering help and then solving the problem in what I feel is record time. So, based on my experiences with Kia Roadside Assistance this last year and a half Im well pleased.

I had the same issue with my 2011 KIA SORENTO. When I went to have my vehicle checked out in April 2013, no service indicator lights were on the dashboard. I actually went in due to a knocking noise when starting it. I was told I needed a new engine due to personal negligence. This information was determined at the second KIA dealership in Highland, Indiana. The first one I went to, in Calumet City, Illinois didnt want to service my vehicle at all even though I was just under the 60,000 mile warranty. My odometer was at 59,000 miles, give or take a few miles. They told me maybe Highland can take my car. Anyway, that same day and right after they turned my car away, I drive to Highland and Im told there is oil sludge everywhere and I need a new engine. At this point Im confused because my oil light and/or engine light was not on nor have they flashed or been lit up on the dashboard ever since I owned the vehicle. The mechanic at Highland was saying I never got my oil changed and even bad mouthed my husband when I said I didnt drive it often enough to know what was being done to my car.Anyhow, my husband and I can confirm that the oil has been changed. However, the auto shop we frequently use can only provide 1 year worth of receipts. The cars been sitting for about 8 months now. We could hear it getting worst as we were managing our money to have the engine replaced in 2013. We didnt want it getting worst while we were saving up the $6000. So its been sitting in our garage for the last 8 months until last month when we finally had the $6000 to get the engine replaced. That being said, our auto shop can only provide receipts for 2013 maybe one receipt for 2014. I got the car used in April 2012. So the car was serviced with oil changes from about July 2012 throughout 2013 and maybe one month at the beginning of 2014.My husband kept saying he never seen an oil light. After he brought it to my attention, I realized Id never seen an oil light either. We both can confirm having the oil changed as well as paying for an oil pan replacement. And not once did an oil light come on!! So we spent $6000 for an engine just recently at KIA and on the way home from the dealership, after dropping $6000, our car dies out! At this point, Im livid, and of course the dealership was closed and the next day was Sunday so I had to wait until Monday to call KIA. That Saturday evening we have our friend, a professional auto mechanic, come over to check out the car to give us his opinion on why the KIA died out on the way home from a $6000 engine repair job. He says we need an alternator! When I call KIA to explain what happened, the service guy says nothing was wrong with it when it left their service department. Our recommendations, written on the receipt, only described us needing new tires. Needless to say I am not trying to deal with KIA, so we let our friend, the professional auto mechanic, replace our alternator and while hes doing the job, he notices a bunch of screws missing!! Now Ive got to call KIA about that. Our friend explained that if everything isnt screwed in place that our car will start rattling and itll cause even more damage under the hood. Cant wait to hear KIAs excuse as to why they didnt screw everything back in where its supposed to be screwed in.

I originally purchased a Kia Sorento EX in July and after the car being in the shop numerous times without any resolution to the problem, I then traded it in after only a month for another 2013 Kia Sorento EX but with the 3rd row seating and navigation package. My 3-month-old car was in the shop. I originally had a problem with the gas mileage and rpm to which I was told Kia came out with an update to fix that problem, which apparently after having the update applied to my vehicle has made the problem worse! I currently am getting horrible gas mileage for a four-cylinder; if I wanted only 18-22 mpg, I would have purchased a 6-cylinder. On top of that, my heating element went out on the drivers side which they ordered the part, but that apparently was not the problem and at the moment they are not sure what is going on. I then tried to get a rental car through the service offered by the extended platinum coverage that I had purchased at the time of purchase of the vehicle. I was then rudely told that the only way a rental is covered is if the vehicle has a diagnosis code and that the issue would be covered under warranty! Its a brand new vehicle with extended coverage. Why wouldnt it be covered under warranty? What is the point of me spending over a thousand dollars on a warranty that is useless? I am beyond upset with my recent purchase through Kia and Im very disgusted at the way the regional office handles customer complaints or concerns. I initially had a claim pending with Kia. I called several times, each leaving a message, and still have yet to receive even a courtesy call back. The young lady I had originally spoke with when I had an issue with the first vehicle told me, Thats why Kia has a warranty to cover issues with their vehicles! So that tells me that they arent going to make a quality car because they have such an outstanding warranty? Its not even the issue with the warranty; its the stress and gas wasted running back and forth to a dealership. If I wanted an unreliable vehicle, then I would have purchased a used car! At the moment, I have nothing good to say about Kia because you obviously dont stand by your products. Your customer service is very lackluster, and the right to do would have been to may be a little more caring and even offer a gas card for the inconvenience of my traveling 50+ miles back and forth to the dealership. So that day, after spending over two hours in the service department, I was given a rental by the service asst. manager in which I do commend her for doing so, seeing that they had yet to come up with a solution to the problem. I was happy with their covering the rental but not by the fact that it was a basic model Nissan Versa! On another note, Kia is the only dealership that I have dealt with that does not have a shuttle service nor uses their own brand of vehicles as loaner cars which, to me, says a lot. All that I was asking for was that someone takes a little more initiative in solving customer issues and making sure the customer is satisfied, and I am really hoping that my problem is successfully resolved this time around. Its one thing when you are having issues with your vehicle and customer service goes above and beyond. At least when people ask if you like your vehicle, you can tell them, Well, Ive had a couple issues, but Kia corporate was very helpful in resolving, vs. No, I wouldnt suggest that you purchase a Kia! I was just contacted by the service department at Conyers Kia and my car is drivable but the issue hasnt been fixed. They need to order a new part which wont be in until sometime next month. So now, that is more time and gas wasted! Once all the parts came in, I then took my vehicle back into the shop for the fourth time! They then replaced the alternator which was supposedly causing the idling problem, and they also replaced my heating element. Well, two months later, lets just say not only has my gas mileage gotten worse since they replaced the alternator but the idling problem has returned! Also, the update that was supposed to fix the problems was obviously a lie because not only is the problem unfixable, Kia has come out with a reimbursement program for falsely advertising mpg on certain vehicles.

If you get a traffic violation from and camera- beware. KIA will get the notice and will hold it for weeks, then will pay it for you with all the added penalties and then charge. I had several violations because of a bad transponder. If KIA would have just sent me the notice I could have easily taken care of it for $2 or $4. Instead they withheld the notices, paid it after 6 weeks of when it was issued, sent me the bill to pay them and threatened my immaculate credit when I objected. Filed a complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was a waste of time. Will never deal with KIA in any capacity ever again. Even the owner of the dealership said they were jerks to deal with!

I purchased via bank loan a 2008 KIA Sorento SUV Ex AWD in January 2016, sold to me for about $9,995.00 with 60,000 miles. I probably still owe about $7.000.00 to the bank. Initially when I first drove it, my son-in-law noticed it had a loud noise. I accepted the noise coming from the rear considering it was just the design of the car. Not yet one year, I have a continuous unresolved check engine light, that no mechanic shop could resolve, which eventually meant, to take it to the dealer for resolve. The mechanic there could not find its problem, because repairs made previously for the specific code for the unresolved check engine light. So mechanic at Dealership resets the light to off, but mentions, my model year vehicle had a 2010 technical service bulletin (TSB-023) that the rear differentials can be bad in this model year vehicle causing bearings to wear out, and recommending new rear differential replacements. So I find having a bad rear differential is unsafe to drive. That Toyota issues Recalls for bad Rear Differentials. But KIA gets away with not having to issue Recalls, only Technical Service Bulletins for bad Rear Differentials? The Dealership was aware by receipt of Technical Service Bulletin issued in 2010, that this car could have this problem. As consumer, I am not a mechanic, and kept in the dark for a bulletin I would have to buy to learn all the faults about my model year car. How is it one manufacturer (KIA Manufacturing) does not have to issue recalls for Rear Differentials? That is why it became issue for Technical Service Bulletins because so many KIA models have this problem. But is not a recall? And yet, bad rear differentials are recalls with other manufacturers.I researched my car prior to deciding to purchase it. I found no repairs, nothing major performed on the vehicle, leading to me, I had a sound car. But it also answers it wasnt inspected for the Technical Service Bulletin issue. No mention about any inspections for recommended Technical Service Bulletin issues. Advise all consumers purchase a technical service bulletin for your used car you ever decide to buy. Not every issue is decidedly recalled. Although with other car manufacturers, a bad rear differential is recalled because it jeopardizes safety, i.e. Toyota. And how KIA apparently doesnt have to recall their 2008 KIA Sorentos for bad rear differentials, which are proven common issues with this model year car makes me question are they allowed to have numerous KIAs with bad rear differentials in Technical Service bulletins and not have this issue as recalls? One person had their KIA wheels lock up suddenly while going down hill, and the vehicle slid sideways when the wheels locked up. What I am really getting to... it this practice allowed? Make every issue a Technical Service Bulletin, even if it jeopardizes safety? Or, is it up to the manufacturer to determine what issue is safe or unsafe? I just feel like I am being deceived and puts my car at risk to my life and the lives of others on the highway because of possible deception or fraud.

I bought a Kia with 0 miles driving off the lot. I unfortunately have been required to get two new axles, but the issue persist (maybe another broken axle now; becoming three), several new tires, which according to Kia, werent covered under the warranty, or were not the direct result of my axle(s) being broken two (probably three) different times. For life of me I cannot understand this but okay. This is all in addition to my breaks being shot at 37000 miles. So now aside from a large monthly payment Ive had to spend $3,000 on a car that is supposedly covered by a full warranty. This goes without saying my backup camera has broken two different times as well as the really cool feature of my mirrors going in while the car is locked has also broken three different times. After being tired of getting my car misdiagnosed at a Kia dealership I brought to a third party place. The third party told me for a car that has 37,000 miles on it I should not be having these issues. I talk to Kia and some of the representative seem to care while other Representatives not so much. If I could give some advice it is to never buy a Kia or anything that has to do with Kia. As a Kia customer I cannot tell you how dissatisfied I am and I will never buy a Kia again. Indeed, the one thing I do when I meet new people is to tell them to never buy a Kia because Kia is the worst company ever. Dont buy a Kia.

I bought a 2012 Kia Soul. I bought a new car because I live up north where the winters are cold. So I wanted a new car with a good heater. I dont have that in the Kia Soul. The temp gauge in the car drops and I get cool to lukewarm air. I have taken it to my dealership and they had it almost 2 weeks and nothing. They keep telling me it is normal. I have had several cars and none of them had them temp gauge drop and get warm air or cool. I was told that Kia put in a larger radiator than is needed for this size car and they wont do anything about it. If this is as hot as the Kia Soul gets, then Kia should not be selling it up north where the winters are long and cold. As anyone else had this issue.

I bought a Kia Rio in 2003. I was the first owner with 1,000 miles on it. It was on clearance. I didn’t need an extra car, but the price was too good to be true. 3 months after the purchase, it was still under the famous 100,000-mile guarantee. The A/C stopped working. I took it back. They fixed it. 8 months later, the A/C stopped working again. They fixed it. 2 to 3 months later, the A/C stopped working again along with the driver lock. They fixed both. This time, I told them that I didnt want the car no more. It was too much hassle and I needed a reliable car because my older car got totaled in an accident. This time, they got a brand new AC compressor. It worked for a year. The dealer told me the new compressor had its own guarantee. I told them I wanted to exchange it for different car. He said if it didn’t work, they will do it. They were very nice, so I trusted them. Less than a year later, the AC and car locked again. I took it back. I had enough. This time, they said: Were sorry to inform you. But if you would had come before last week, we could it replace it. But your guarantee on your A/C just expired. Now Im stuck with this piece of **! I keep advising my friends never to buy a Kia ever.

My 2011 Kia Sorento has been a disaster since day 1. I have replaced every door on my Kia Sorento, and now my engine has failed. I have full service history but Kia are saying that it was due to lack of care because there was only 1 1/2 of oil in it when they took it apart. Now I am no mechanic but I’m pretty sure a lack of oil is more likely to be an engine problem rather than a lack of care issue especially when the oil was checked by a car garage 8 weeks earlier before its MOT. Kia’s cars and warranty are a scam. Do not buy Kia. Google Kia Engine problems and you will see why.

A little over a month since the last problem, I found someone to drive me to Kia after my car was towed and I had to miss work again. Hours later again, nothing wrong with my Battery. I called the Kia 800# while waiting, told there were 2 more recalls (they wont call them recalls anymore), these items noted as corrected on my invoice.7-27-15 the car would not start again. Kia called a tow truck again. I borrowed a car, could not call in work again. After multiple calls to Kia service, tow company and Kia at 800#. I was offered a loaner car and mine would be research more. Later that day per message on my voice mail, car is fixed, battery replaced. I bought a new car for the security and this is what I get. Stress on my mother and myself, miss many hours of work going on my record as missed work hours and gas for multiple trips to Kia.Updated on 9/07/2015: The parking and tail lights have come on in the middle of the night for no reason. It was discovered when going outside to get the newspaper 2 days and I woke up the next day worrying about my car at 3:00 am, the lights were in again. OBVIOUSLY the problem is not the battery. The computer needs checked with good machine for a short or something else, not the one at Dutch Miller Kia in South Charleston, WV. Car lights do not just come on in the middle of the night for no reason. Why this problem was not found after 3 visits in the summer? I am scheduling an appointment at my Kia in WV for 9-10-2015. I cannot miss another day of work.

I have owned 3 Kias in the last 10 years (2 Optimas and a Forte) and I will never purchase again. Each one is worst than the last. Very cheaply made, and the warranty is a joke. Roadside assistance use to be better, but in the last 3 years has rapidly declined (again, if these cars were better made you wouldnt really need roadside assistance on a new vehicle.) The last time I called, I needed a battery jump (this car is only 2 years old by the way) and they told me they were unable to find anyone to come out. But I could pay $245 and possibly be reimbursed. What?! I live in a major city in Florida and they couldnt find one person to jump my battery??? Thank God I was at home, otherwise I could have been stranded on a highway somewhere. Believe me they couldnt care less. Save yourself the frustration, buy another brand -ANY other brand, and if you are stuck with a Kia, get AAA. For $106/year its worth not dealing with these people.

I have a leased 2015 Kia Sorento with less than 23,000 miles on it with a blown engine. I just got my inspection and oil change done last week. The car came back and was making a funny sound that got progressively worse (like a baseball card in a bike spoke). The car ended up dying completely while being driven and was towed to the closest dealership. I was told that there was sludge on the engine and metal flakes in the oil and that the engine needs to be replaced but Kia probably wont cover it unless I can provide them with maintenance records. They have the most recent oil change record but they wants them all (works out to about 3) which I dont have because I go to a little corner garage. Now that I see blown engines and sludging is a known issue with Kia, I will contact whoever I need to contact to get this taken care of (the estimate was $7200) and I will NEVER purchase or lease another Kia ever again. I thought they made big improvements from a few years ago but I guess that it just on the outside, not the inner workings of the vehicle.

2015 Kia Optima. 37k miles or so on it... engine seized after oil change. Dealership is trying to weasel out of warranty because I dont have oil receipts. Magnuson-Moss warranty act of 1975 states the company must prove that the bearing failure was my fault before denying warranty (lack of receipts doesnt prove lack of maintenance). Also no manufacturer can require you to use their maintenance products unless they provide them free of charge. They had a class action suit last year over this very issue. We took ownership of a brand new 2019 Kia Niro EX on 1/30/19, it would not start on 2/1/19. It was put on trickle charge overnight and the battery was fully charged on [AM] 2/2/19 but same problem persisted... Resolution = have it towed in, no vehicle to use in the interim (UVO message says were closed, bye and roadside response says they do not deal with anything other than getting the vehicle hauled in). I have a hard time wrapping my head around what happened. The dealer says UVO should/can help but, unfortunately, if you need rental assistance and it is the weekend--- it appears you are out of luck (vacation with family/friends!). While vacationing, the engine on my KIA blew with no warning. No pre-warning engine light, just a complete engine fail. Fortunately it was under warranty, so the repairs will be at no cost to me. Also, I had the good fortune to be sent to a phenomenal service/dealer, Youngblood KIA in Springfield, MO, theyve been fantastic!! Unfortunately, the only thing KIA customer service has been able to provide is the runaround. My son and I have contacted Consumer Affairs multiple times and each time I receive a different answer/response. First the rental is approved, then the rental is in question, then they dont know what to tell me, oy vey!! All Im asking is for them to stand by their customer, who had to leave the car 7.5 hours from home. Im requesting a rental and a reunite of my vehicle once prepared. You would think this would be easy, wrong. If this is the type of customer service I receive on a warranty repair, I will NEVER buy another KIA vehicle. In addition, I will tell everyone I know about this experience so the buyer is aware of what they may be getting into. For the record, the service/dealership in Springfield, MO is paying for my rental in Ohio... That is how you serve your customer. I may have to purchase all of my vehicles from them going forward, theyve already acknowledged that theyll ship a purchased vehicle to Ohio.

I have gotten no help or updates from either the Moritz Kia in Hurst or heard back from anyone from your office. Im now being told by the dealership (18 Sep, 2015) that the vehicle is not cover under the 100k miles warranty! I would need to pay $1999.94 to get my car out. Why was this information not convey to me prior to all this work and time being spent on the car? If this was communicated to me ahead of time, I would have had my local mechanic correct your issue in less than a week for less the half the price. When the mechanic opened the hood did he not noticed the radiator had been replaced?Just so I have the sequence of event correctly stated: 02 August 2015, my vehicle overheated, with all ORIGINAL equipment. I have towing receipt. Vehicle has been in dealership since 05 August. 21 September 2015, I was told KIA will not Honor 100K mile warranty because I had replaced the original radiator that had leaked (AFTER the engine overheated). I never experienced such bad customer service. Bad practice... First and last time I will buy a KIA.

We have called and dealt with the car dealer about the front end thumping sound. We had to replace the tires at 22,000 miles and we had the car in the car dealer 10 times. With only 22,000 miles on the car, we spent $672.15 for new tires and the dealer would not help, Atlantic Kia (out of bus., selling Kias now) in Pleasantville, NJ 08232. Now with 70,000, it needs tires again and the thumping area is the worst of the 3 tires. Now we will spend $550 for new tires. With that we always get rotation, balancing and front end alignments. We have all receipts but Kia will not call or email back and will not help at all.

My 2012 SX was a problem from the start. I brought it in a couple of months after I owned it for detonation noise/turbo rattle (sounds like marbles in a can) in the engine. Kia told me it was normal, and ignored it. Then, about 2 months later, the engine blew the spark plugs apart, and I lost almost all power. I limped it back to the dealership on what seemed like it was driving on 2 cylinders. Kia only replaced the spark plugs, even though they looked like they were melted - obvious detonation damage. Kia refused to do any other diagnostics, because, It runs fine now with new spark plugs. Not long after that, after hooking my small camper up (1,155 lbs), the engine completely failed while on the freeway. It blew a hole in one of the cylinders, and melted all of the spark plugs. Kia then claimed my camper was too heavy and refused the warranty, even though the vehicle is rated to tow 2,000 lbs. I hired an attorney, and it has been almost a year, and the state of Michigan had to step in to get them to come to the table! Its now the end of April, 2013, and my car has been dead since July of 2012. Do not buy a Kia!

I inherited my parents 2003 Kia Spectra. I was driving it on the freeway when all of a sudden the right rear tire froze up causing me to have to pull over to the small shoulder in the inside lane. I immediately put on my hazards as I was still halfway in the lane. I turned the car off then back on again. I was then able to continue on to my destination. When I got into the car again to go home, it seemed to run fine. Then when almost home it did it again. I was luckily close to a Les Schwab who said it was my brake lining, which had broken in half. They said that it has been happening to 2003 to 2005 Kias, they had three just last week. I have heard of no recall for this problem, but something needs to be done about this before someone is killed. I have to have them repaired, which cost me $270.

I called for roadside, they were wonderful. The wait was a bit long but understandable since it was a Friday. But once I arrive at Braman Kia it was a disaster from there. I arrived Sat 7:55 p.m and they were closing instead of someone saying, Maam we are closing, everyone just rudely walks right past me and cuts off lights and etc. So I leave the car and pass by today to only be told that theres no techs today and that I cant be giving a loaner or told anything until the car is checked and they dont know if it will be checked today. Like seriously how can you not have a tech available, that they only have students today? Like seriously so what happens to your customer? They are just stuck with no means of transportation.

Every time that you call them, there is a new excuse. First, it was lost in the mail. So, I asked them to provide a duplicate. The next 10 calls I was promised something by mail. Here I am 4+ months later and I have still not received anything from them. Im at my wits end. Do yourself a favor and NEVER deal with this lousy company. If they gave me my next car for free, I would actually tell them to keep it. Thats how angry I am. I am writing for my roommate **. She is not in the best health. One year ago she bought a 2008 Kia Rondo after her 2006 Kia blew up a few days after the warranty ended. This Kia was a certified used car which means to us it is just a regular car. The first day the rear door was stuck. The dealer had to cut the door off to open it and replace the door. They paid for it. Since then she went to get it inspected and the front coil spring had broken, the brakes all the way around are completely shot and an exhaust pipe is leaking before the cat converter. They refused as well as Kia to repair anything since it is out of warranty. She bought an extended warranty which is useless, since in my experience, they never pay for anything. But since the car was coming from one of the largest dealers in the area we thought they would stand behind it... What a joke!!! One other thing that slipped my mind but it is not something they would fix anyway. I was driving on the interstate last summer with cruise on at 65 mph, got pulled over and got a 200.00 ticket for speeding at 95 mph. I paid the ticket and got the charges reduced so as not to get my license suspended. I guess we will have to pay for the repairs, but both Kia and the dealer will lose our business and everyone we know as well!!

We have owned a 2012 KIA Sorento EX for four years. We have enjoyed the car and taken good care of it... hoping that it would last us for years. Last month our engine suddenly seized up and died as I was driving home from a routine shopping trip. The engine was still under warranty coverage and we had taken our car to the KIA dealer for recent maintenance and an oil change. After having the car towed to the dealer we were told that our warranty coverage was denied because we had neglected the car. We were aghast and suspected poor maintenance on the part of the dealer so we complained to KIAs customer service. They assigned us a customer number and investigator. It has been a month and we cannot get a call telling us where the investigation is going. KIA apparently does not want to honor its warranties for big issues. We tell everyone we know not to buy a KIA!

We bought our Kia Rio 4 years ago and is now on its 20k km. We have never had a major problem with the car. Its got enough power and speed when driving along an incline. Every 6 months, we see to it that we visit the service center and have it checked. When you look at it from the outside, it seems that its small and not spacious at all but when you are inside, the knee clearance is about 3/4 foot and could accommodate 4 people at the back sitting comfortably. On the other hand, I noticed that there are times when you press the gas, the car doesnt respond instantaneously (there is a split-second lag) or does not respond at all. So what I normally do is I press the break until the rpm gauge drops then I start from first gear and work my way up the next gear. Last night while cruising, there was a moment that I couldnt go to the next gear so I had to put the car on neutral, then drive mode, then it responded as it should. I hope that this is just normal to automatic transmission cars and doesnt become worse if ever this really is a problem. Ive seen on the road a new Kia Grand Carnival and it looks awesome. Im wondering how much it costs.

We will never buy a Kia again. We have a 2011 Sorento and the 100,000 miles or 10 year warranty only applies to the first owner. We bought the car at 1 year old with only about 18,000 miles on it. The second owner warranty is only up to 60,000 miles. The transmission failed a little over that. I started looking and found the Kia Sorento does have a lot of transmission problems. They are fixing some of the 2-wheel drive Sorentos but as of now, not the 4-wheel drive. We took it to the dealer and was told they may do a good faith fix. Of course they came back with a NO. We had no choice but to pay $2400 to fix it. I have also read that people are on their 3rd transmission, so I can see why Kia only guarantees it for 12 months. They know it be break again, so we will sell it very soon. I find this completely unacceptable for a well kept 3 year old vehicle.

In August 2010, I bought a Sorento and a Cadenza, the former was for my wife. On July 3, my wife got involved in a car accident and the insurance company of the other driver is paying up for the damages (he was at fault). I drove the car to the Kia official garage in Salwa on the same day (after completing all formalities). The car suffered damage to both doors on the right and all side airbags opened, plus the drivers seat belt damaged. Well, it is September 13th and the car is still at the garage. Every time I call, they are still ordering parts. Either they are lying or they are totally incompetent. I talked to the manager yesterday. He was very apologetic and said he will call the repair center and come back to me immediately. I am still waiting. The car has clicked 9000km and should have been replaced as it is brand new. I am now planning to get rid of both cars and buy something different (the cars are good but the service is shameful).

The buying process of my 2016 Kia Sorento was great! I bought at Ourisman Kia of Chantilly in VA. I bought a brand new vehicle despite the fact that I absolutely LOVED my paid off 2002 Chevy Tahoe. It was giving me a lot of maintenance issues so I hesitantly said Ill buy new and save on repairs. All was great up until 5 months of having the car. It shut off on me twice out of nowhere. Both at red lights. I took it in for the scheduled oil change and so that this issue could be taken care of as well. The first response was We cant seem to find the issue. Would you like to take it home or leave it. Well of course I chose to leave it. A week went by no word other than they had to wait to get something back from Kia. After a month of being in a rental the matter was resolved. They had to replace the intake manifold (yes on a brand new car). 8 months later the car was acting up again. It would not accelerate and made a terrible noise along with rough idling. I took it in twice both times the dealer could not duplicate the problem so they couldnt do anything and I had to pick up or be charged for the loaner. All oil changes had been up to date via this same service shop. The car failed on me again a third time, I had it towed and after emails and text to the GM and service manager they were able to duplicate the issue. The ECM was then replaced (the car is a little over a yr at this point). I stressed again and again that I did not feel safe in this car. I am a single mother of 4 and work my butt off for a reliable vehicle and this vehicle was not it! I questioned if I had not been sold a lemon and that issue needed to be addressed. However both the GM and SM assured all was well now. I went on a 3 wk road trip right after this last visit at the end of June. Thankfully I made it problem free on my trip. But on my way home from NC on 7/24 the car overheated with no warning indications whatsoever. I was able to pull over to the shoulder before it just cut off on me. It was towed yet again (not even a month later) to the nearest dealer in NC. They have no idea why it overheated. Why so much work has needed to be done to such a new vehicle and informed me that the motor will probably need to be replaced. WHAT!!! I am so sick of this car and the dealer not caring at all that it was faulty from the start. I will be taking this up with an attorney and recommend not to buy KIA. I have been covered by its good warranty yes but that doesnt cover the safety of my kids or I. As far as the mechanics of the vehicle and the customer service when problem arise this purchase was not worth it!!

I bought this Kia Sorento in 2006, brand new. I have been the only driver and have put 75,000 miles on it. I have had nothing but problems, and of course none that the extended warranty I paid dearly for nor the power train 100,000 mile warranty cover. Most recently, I had a series of breakdowns that finally resulted in my Kia needing a fuel pump, so I was told. $800.00 later, I pick up my Sorento to start it and have a loud knocking noise as well as my check engine light on. Come to find out, the mechanic noted that a week before when the car was dropped off. So, my cars been at Kia for 10 days and I pick it not completely fixed. I was told it is probably crank barrings(!?) and it will be fine for now.My car broke down again on my way home, yes, after $800.00 and a new fuel pump? So, I call the Kia dealership, I bought it from to be asked. Did you have the timing belt changed at 60,000 miles? Now, how would I know that? So, he tells me now my extended and power train warranties are null. I will never buy another Kia or Hyundai product ever again, and I will spread the word loudly! I am not a hateful person, I work hard as a registered Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and have dedicated my life to helping people. I am recently a single mom of a 17 year-old who wants to go to college and I just cant afford to not have a car, or to have a car that is not reliable. I also feel I was cheated into a warranty that will not be honored, and it is disappointing. Please pass the word about the dishonesty of Kia.

2013 Kia Optima Hybrid - I have taken my vehicle to the Alhambra dealer 4 times due to a clicking noise on the brake and accelerator every time I would come to a light or a stop. The first 2 times they would fix it and then the noise would come back in a few days. The third time they did not find any noise which is irritating because I would hear every single day. The fourth time I went on a ride along with a mechanic and he clearly heard the noise so they had me waiting there for 4 hours till they told me I had to leave the car for further inspection. The vehicle was left at the dealer on 3-14-2018.As of today I still do not have my vehicle and they did not offer a rental or anything, I have been getting rides to work and back home and neither did they give me a date to pick up my vehicle. I call on a daily basis for an update and they just keep giving me the runaround and the majority of the time they do not return my calls when I leave voicemails, I also opened a case with KIA and the supervisor that has my case does not return my calls or emails either. We bought our Kia used, (we werent told it was used at the time we bought it, we noticed it was used after we had bought it and got in it - as we didnt test drive this particular one). In any event, the warranty covered the electrical parts up to 12,000. At about 11,000 miles, I was driving down the highway and was told that break lights werent working. We had head light issues and just thought it was a the bulbs, but both break lights went out, then pulled into the parking deck and notice no running light and no head lights except for brakes. We had to get towed back to the dealership and they replaced all the bulbs saying they were burned out. By the time the lights went out again, it was out of warranty. Every month or so, a bulb will go out - a head light, a break light. Then we noticed when you hit the back of the break light, the lights will flicker on and off, so the bulbs werent actually burned out. Then we began to notice the electrical seats were burned out. And then the lights where the manual transmission gear stick was burned out. Then the license plate lights. And now, for the first time a new electrical issue surfaced in the electric side mirrors, they will no longer work. We noticed many burn marks within the electrical components. We are certain KIA was aware of the electrical issue when we brought the car in under its warranty period, but they refused to address and simply replaced the bulbs and said sometimes things like this happen. We have been stopped by police for headlights being out, brake lights not working and license plate light out. While I love my KIA Sorento and mechanically it has been a reliable vehicle, the electrical issues have been dismal, costly, and unsafe.

Bought a used 2010 Kia Rondo Jan. 2015. We are a much older couple & do little mileage. A few months after buying car various lites kept burning. Brought to local garage. Was told take to Kia dealership, an electrical problem. Changed lite, burnt again, along with complete dashboard. Back to Kia, this time supposedly the hitch that was problem. Changed lites again, now dome lite. Then car went dead, boosted by a garage, told us was electrical, boosted 2 other times. Back to Kia, this time ripped out the quette, bypassed some wires, good to go. Lasted a week, headlite burnt, Kia changed again at no charge but the new lite was not working. On & on this goes. Of course warranty finished. Now burnt lites & message on dash saying check. Back to Kia. Now need to put Quette back, and 4-500$ to change wiring. They finally diagnosed. This has being going round & round since March. What a nitemare. Serviceman called ROCH extremely rude. Cannot provide order # as car is still @ garage. Awaiting the proprietors call. Am also awaiting the t.v. program J.E.s reply. My husband also bought & changed various lites. What a way to be treated. Be careful anyone buying at this garage. We firmly believe this was a undisclosed problem when we bought.

In December 2014, I was seriously injured (including a broken back...) in a 2015 KIA SORENTO during a frontal crash because the car malfunctioned. Upon impact, none of the airbags deployed and duly filed my complaint with NHTSA. After my complaint, there were 3 others filed with the most recent being March 2016 where another person got injured because the airbag DID NOT DEPLOY. Even though the IIHS (Insurance Institute of Highway Safety) identified this problem as well as potential injuries to the driver during its SMALL OVERLAY CRASH TEST - THE MANUFACTURER (KIA) still FAILED to conduct necessary defect investigation and recall on all existing 2014/2015 KIA Sorento models that have this defect which creates and heightens the risk of potential dangerous injuries because few consumers are aware of this as NHTSA gives the 2015 KIA SORENTO a five-star rating on a test that was conducted in 2013 because both the 2014 and 2015 models were in fact, almost identical WITH minimal changes.Due to the IIHS crash test results and POOR rating the 2014/2015 KIA SORENTO models the manufacturer received, it went to address these problems by redesigning the 2016 Sorento without notifying or identifying or repairing the defects in those defective vehicles currently out in the market. IT IS ALSO EXTREMELY NEGLIGENT AND IRRESPONSIBLE OF NHTSA TO POST AN ERRONEOUS 5-STAR RATING ON A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS VEHICLE.

Would like to see 2014 and 2015 KIA Souls third-party tested for actual horsepower and torque numbers. Having owned a 2010 KIA Soul + and now a 2014 KIA Soul +, the 2014 KIA Soul feels underpowered given KIA-stated numbers.

2014 KIA CADENZA. I have been a Kia owner for the past 10 yrs. I previously owned the AMANTI that I loved very very much, until the very end when I decided to trade in for a new Cadenza. But I seem to have a internal noise problem with the cadenza. I noticed the clicking noise about 200 mile. I took it to the dealer, however they said could not find a problem. I returned again after 300 miles, still with the problem. The sales manager advised me to wait until after 500 miles to open a case with Kia. I returned the auto after 900 miles, they looked into it. On Nov 13th 2014 they wrote the following on the work order PIT STOP P5282 SIDE CENTER OF SUNROOF, NOISE COMING FROM LOOSE SCREWS HOLDING SUNROOF CURTAIN IN PLACE: 85310R00 3.2 HEADLINER BAR, 81651 - 3R500... FAILED PART, RE-SECURED AND PREFORMED PIT STOP FOR RATTLE. Well after month later the problem return, I wrote an email complaining to dealer that noise appears to have return. On 01/06/15 I took the car back to the dealership for the same noise. The dealership found no problem and wrote the following: TEST DROVE CAR WITH TECHNICIAN FOR 7 MILES OVER VARIOUS ROAD SURFACES AND OVER BUMPS COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM, NO PROBLEM FOUND. Problem still exist. The dealership indicated that they drove the car for over 7 miles and found no problem, however I had noted the mileage on the car and found that the car had only been driven under a mile. I filed a complaint sales manager at the dealership, which the service manager admitted that they did not drive the car only around the block. I preceded to file a compliant with Kia customer service and meet with the District Manger. It took about 2 weeks to confirm the meeting at the dealership. I finally met with DM who drove with me and agree there was a problem. It took over 2 more weeks to schedule a repair date. On 3/25/15, Once again I returned the car to the dealership and they found a problem. Stating the following: C/S noise coming from roof of vehicle near the roof. Please check and advise. Effective part # 81630R500. Found edge of sunroof plate bolts were over torqued causing rail to sit improperly in track adjusted to Kia specs and road tested with technician and Kia DSPN, adjusted sunroof plates, no noise present at this time.Once again the noise has come back and even worst, metal bouncing inside of sunroof. I stop by the dealership on 4/14 and talked to the service manger, which rode with me and agreed there was a noise. He preceded to advise me that he would contact the DM of Kia and call me when arrangement made. On 4/16/15 the service manager called stating still waiting on DM call back. On April 22, he contacted me stating which day early next week was good. On April 24th contact SM and advised him that on April 28th at 10 am would be fine to meet with the SM and DM. To my surprise, the DM was not present. I advised the SM to contact me when the DM would show up so that I was involved in the loop. However, that did not occur. On 4/29 the service manger advised me by phone that no problem was found. I have requested once again to meet with the DM and take the service manager and District Kia manager on a ride, so they understand the noise factor. I have requested to meet the DM through the Kia customer service and Service manger at the dealer, once again review the problem and take test drive with me present. Still waiting for a response as of 5/1/15. I am extremely unhappy with the noise of this cadenza, most passenger hear the noise. Now the dealer is sending messages that I need to return the loaner car, because KIA is not going to pay for the use of the loaner. So now they are threatening me with billing my credit car for a dealer loaner. I have not heard from KIa regarding this matter as of yet. Frankly I am beginning to dislike the fact that I purchased this cadenza, though I was extremely happy with my KIA AMANTI. CASE # **. One of the solutions has been to have the sunroof completely changed according to other kia cadenza owners who have experienced the same situation.

I bought a car at Car Pros Kia. They never notified me that the car had a recall until I went for my first inspection after 3 months!!! I found out that the car that I bought was a DEMO and they never told me that. They sold it as a new car. I was so stressed out that I did not even see the miles that the car had on until the next day. I took a picture of it -- 75 miles that I did not drive!!! They wrote on my contract 8 miles!!! I trusted them and they took advantage of me. The warranty that I bought was supposed to take care of everything as the lady said from top to bottom, everything and anything and it is not true. My 3rd inspection, I will have to pay more than $400. On top of everything, they are rude. No courtesy at all. I called a sales manager called Rodrigo and he kept repeating that he was busy just because I said that I need to talk to him and he hang up on me!!! The only person that has my respect over there is the driver that took me to IKEA. Getting an attorney!

In Feb bought 2014 Sorento as replacement for 2012. Within a short time, noticed in bright light could not see or easily see speedometer needle and kph numbers. It was snowing when picked car up and cloudy on test drives. Have met with general manager of dealership, sales manager, service manager and others. They are all very polite and listen but ultimately say they can do nothing unless Kia authorizes it and give me lip service. Also have talked with Kia Corp in CA. Everything is fine at night or cloudy days. Must take eyes off road for too long to find speedometer needle. It seems as if it auto dims from a sensor as just backing out of the garage the brightness of the instrument panel dims. I am told there is no sensor. All Kia gives me is a scripted response that it is working as designed. Kia can not help you. The dealership claims the problem is probably due to a reflection. However, I can put a blanket over the steering wheel and surrounding instrument panel and notice very little increase in brightness. The problem is a software issue they refuse to address. They need only change the color of the needle. Several others have filed complaints with NTSB for same issue. I am told the red needle is an electronically generated image and blends into a black background. Also the side window screen rattles and am told there is no adjustment available. Since design features are not covered by warranty, everyone refuses to do anything as it is working as designed. I plan to approach arbitration and contact an attorney but have small hopes this little guy will beat the big corporation. Ultimately, will need to get rid of the car and take a financial bath to feel safe driving. This was my 2nd Kia and at least third car from this dealership but will be my last Kia and last car from the local Newark, Delaware dealership. The 2012 was a great car, the reason I was comfortable going to the 2014.

I have had the most horrendous experience with Kia of St Cloud in MN. Have taken in my car for regular maintenance. After about a year, started having a problem with my back seat latch not letting loose. Was told that they couldnt fix it because they didnt have their main mechanic there. Told me to let me know if any more problems. Kept having the issue, so was told they would fix it when I brought it in for my oil change. Got at my appt 20 min early and there service advisors didnt help us for over 20 min. Had a few more minor issues to look at too. Was told wait time would be 2 hrs. Sat for over 3 1/2 hrs and my vehicle wasnt fixed because they now had to order parts. Tried to tell me on part was covered under warranty. Had less than 13,00 miles and had purchased extended warranty. Caused a scene in the waiting room where other customers were, so he said they would cover it. Called corporate to file a complaint and they were worthless. Gave contacted them 3 x and no results. They contacted dealership because I wanted my survey. Was told by corporate that they didnt have my email address, but yet it was on my service invoice. Service manager said that he doesnt have anything to do with, but yet corporate says they do. Nothing like covering each others **. WILL NOT EVER BUY ANOTHER KIA. THINKING OF TELL THEM THEY CAN KEEP THEIR PIECE OF ** CAR AND THEIR SERVICE AND TAKE THE LOSS.

I drive a Kia Mohave. Bought new 4 years ago. About to clock 100,000 km. Woke up this morning, with my wife and driver to find the car totally shut down. The dashboard, everywhere where there is some light was blinking. The car did not respond to the remote key. The manual key did also not work. Thus we couldnt have access to the car to pick our things. We are 100 km out of Lagos, where we normally reside and we are obviously stranded. I tried to check whether Kia Nigeria has emergency number. I found none.

Wires burned out without triggering the fuses, following a jump start by AA
Wires burned out without triggering the fuses, following a jump start by AAA on my 2008 Kia Rondo. The Sansone dealership and Kia headquarters are denying warranty coverage despite faulty original wiring and/or fuse box. The wires should not burn out before the fuses are tripped. Without warranty coverage, which the car has for 100,000 miles or 10 years, it would be precarious to order another jump start when the wiring and/or fuse box are faulty.

Kia Motor Finance (KMF) says for its leases, the consumer must contact them
Kia Motor Finance (KMF) says for its leases, the consumer must contact them to tell them how to allocate a payment. My payment was late, the statement reflected principle, taxes, the late fee and a total. I paid the total as per the statement, but KMF allocated everything to the principle and taxes only. This occurred over a number of months. Now I am told that the late fees were never paid. If the statement says to pay the total amount due, why would I think I need to call within 24 hours of the payment and tell them to allocate to principle, tax and late fees. My calls remain unanswered. I have been bounced around between collections and customer services. In addition, KMF explained that when I paid to get my car back, the repo fee was applied to my principle. KMF reversed it but put my account in to delinquency. I am being held accountable for their incompetency, lack of transparency, fraudulent and abusive use of statements that are not honored. Why would the consumer know that KMF requires allocation instructions. It is not written on the lease, no addendum received stating this is the policy, and nothing on the statement that says for your late payment to be processed please call us. Why wouldnt a consumer believe the breakdown on the statement is the exact way the payment would be processed. This is mind boggling and I refuse to believe that I am the only person this is happening to. This becomes very scary that a corporation takes your payment, implies via a statement of what the payment is consisted of but applies it in a different manner. The Consumer should be Informed of this practice.

I had a sale agreement with proper payments and documents for buying a car for my disabled dad of 81 years old. The local Kia company didnt keep their promises and the sale contract and overcharged us. I tried to reach the international Kia Consumer and post-sales department via internet with several attempts. Until now Kia International never replied me. Is this Kias policy?

Kia has fluffed up their look but their quality is still crap. Ive had my car in for service 8 times in 16 months. I bought my Kia Niro brand new and started having problems within less than 5 months of ownership. Im suing Kia to buy it back as a lemon. They dont communicate at all. They are not helpful and try to draw out the process as long as possible. Ive lost countless hours... even months at a time bringing this car into being repaired. 5 of the issues are repeat of the same thing. There was another reoccurring defect that took a couple repair attempts to get corrected. Parts on back order take a month to get. Techs at the dealership have talked to Kia techs at corporate and no one knows how to fix the car. The 5 reoccurring repair issue is still an ongoing issue because Kia doesnt know whats wrong. My transmission has already started to fault. My car almost stalled once after 5 months of ownership and the most recent issue is that it wont accelerate or shift into the next gear. Huge safety issues! Ill probably get into an accident but Kia is in no hurry to address any of that.

Dec 2017 after 2 years of owning my car and 69000 miles my engine seized. This is a 2012 Kia Sorento. Ive argued with Kia dealership and Kia itself that I find it ridiculous that a car so new that the engine died all of a sudden. I was driving on a very busy road and it just stopped. No lights came on or anything. I was accused several times that it was my fault that there was sludge in the engine. I have corrected them each time that I have receipts of oil changes and not by their company. They wanted to charge me money for a diagnostic test that they never did until I disputed that and they waived the fee. I was forced to either pay over 5 grand for a new engine or I was almost convinced a few times to voluntarily repo my car and start new again with them by purchasing a new car. I still have 4 years left to pay off my car and in good faith I still going to try my best. I received a loan from my job and paid the rest. I have investigated before the fix and disputed that there is many other Kia engines failing and that Kia placed blame on the owners for not maintaining their cars for sludge being in the engines. I then read that there was an engine recall for the same issues but my VIN is not listed. Ive tried to bring this up to Kia that I find it a coincidence that my car has failed the same exact way as all of these other Kia engines. I believe that Kia is nothing but crooks and I will never deal with them again. They should pay for all of these faulty engines. 3 weeks after I replaced my engine I started leaking antifreeze. My Kia said theyd help me with coupons since I just did a huge service with them... 25$ coupon. Yeah thanks but no thanks for the help. I had to pay another 309$. I dont feel safe in my car. Oh and I forgot to mention that Kia neglected to tell me that the warranty on the used Kia engine is only for 90 days. I am disgusted the way that whole company treats their customers when it is us who gives them their paying jobs. As I said a bunch of crooks. My junker cars have lasted longer than this car. What is sad is I loved my car. At first it was great. Everything was working great. Then the engine went. Kia never told me about their common engine issues. I found this out myself and when I confronted them about it. They were all hush hush about it. After this car dies I will never again give my money to Kia.

Purchased a new 2012 KIA Forte Koup. It now has 20,000 miles and has had 4 new batteries. The car drains the batteries completely and they cant be re charged. Keep having it towed to Kia Dealerships and they tell me they can find nothing wrong with the car. This is a car I purchased for my daughter to take to college and 2 batteries we had to buy because it died on the weekend when no dealer was open. I am so afraid of this car for a young girl to have. She is also afraid to drive it anywhere as she never knows when it will kill the battery. I stay a nervous wreck, as I never know when it will break down. Any suggestions?

2003 Kia Sorento heater and lights in the center dash controls: I bought it
2003 Kia Sorento heater and lights in the center dash controls: I bought it brand new; second was sold in GA in 2002. The heater has never gotten hot or even warm. On cold days, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes of driving to get the inside of the car—bearable but still cold. It has been in the shop multiple times and the service department says nothing is wrong. If you turn the fan on more than low it will stay ice cold on the inside of the car forever. Also, on cold days (below 38 F) the center dash control lights will go completely off or cycle over and over very fast so there is no control over any of the functions until the lights settle down and stay on normally, which is when it gets warm (bearable, the chill is mostly not bad) in the car. This has occurred since it was a year old, but the problem with the heater not working kept our attention after sending it in for a couple of times on the light problem. I do like the fact that it still runs and drives good with all service work recommended being done on time most of it at Kia, although the oil and filter changes were done elsewhere most of the time unless it was scheduled for service work at the same time. I installed a new set of spark plugs and actually did a couple of oil and filter changes myself to make sure it could be done by me if needed. I kept all paperwork. We just gave up on the heater being broken and learned to live with it after 5 years or so went by, but these problems have never been fixed for even a minute. I’m totally dissatisfied with Kia service on these two problems. A few months ago, the crankshaft pulley bolt broke and stranded us at BJs Gas pumps in Cumming, GA on Saturday night on Thanksgiving weekend. So we had it towed to Kia Mall of GA where we bought it and had to raise Cain for 6 to 8 weeks before they finally reimbursed us for the tow because the bolt had been replaced on a recall notice at their service department in 2007, I believe. I have never had to spend so much money on service work to keep a warranty in force, but in the long run it has been worth it because I just picked it up after having to replace the electronic crankshaft and camshaft sensors at 92,000 miles and they did replace the leaking valve cover gaskets under warranty. I did have to shell out $1620.00 for this trip to the shop, replace all the belts and change out the anti-freeze. Hopefully, it will keep running without any further serious problems for a year or so to make this trip worthwhile economically. I would buy another Sorento, but I would definitely not accept any excuses about not correcting any type of problems such as the ones Ive had with this one. All in all, I am semi-satisfied with the Sorento. I have never kept an auto this long before except my 1998 Expedition and I have spent a whole lot less money on the upkeep for the Expy. It just loves gasoline so much I cannot afford to drive it much and it isnt worth much on the market to sell. So I will keep it around as long as possible and give it to one of my grandchildren one day if they want.

Kia Sorento wont start. When I get in the car to start it and push the butt
Kia Sorento wont start. When I get in the car to start it and push the button, everything on the inside will come on, but the engine wont turn over. I have been stranded 5 times this week, and now the piece of ** is sitting in the parking lot at work and wont start. Sometimes, if I sit there long enough, I can get it started. Several months ago, I could not get it started. I called Kia Emergency rescue and a wrecker driver showed up. He got in the car, pushed on the brake (to the floorboard) 3 times and it started right up. He said that this is a common problem with Kias and that is how you get it started. So - that is what I have been doing, but the problem is just getting worse. Two weeks ago, I was headed out of the office to my daughter in labor, and guess what - it wouldnt start. After about 15 minutes I got it started. I called service at the dealership where it was purchased, and at first they denied it, then the lady on the phone said that Kia was aware of this problem. I asked her why were the consumers not made aware of this. She had no answer. Earlier this week, again it happened. I called Kia direct and filed a complaint and was given a case number. Of course, they deny any knowledge of this problem. They asked me if I wanted the car replaced and I told them yes, but not with a Kia. That didnt go over very well. So on a Saturday, I have to get a ride to my office, pick the piece of ** up and go to the dealership with it. I have already been told they wont give me a loaner car. We will see about that tomorrow. I am very disappointed with this vehicle. Oh yes - the 3rd back up camera is out. This car is only 1 year old. Do not buy Kia. They do not back their product! As soon as I can, this thing will be traded for a more reliable vehicle.
