Ram Automobile Model 2025 Ram ProMaster EV

2025 Ram ProMaster EV

The 2025 Ram ProMaster EV is Ram’s fully electric, commercial-focused cargo van built to deliver zero-emissions capability for businesses and fleets. It retains the versatile body styles of the standard ProMaster but replaces the gasoline-engine drivetrain with an all-electric setup, making it well suited for urban deliveries, service fleets and other use cases with moderate daily mileage and charging access.

Powertrain & Performance

Features a front-wheel‐drive electric motor producing about 268 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque.

Equipped with a large battery pack (about 110 kWh usable capacity) built into the floor, retaining the flat cargo-floor layout of the standard ProMaster.

Target range is approximately 162 miles (≈260 km) in city-driving conditions, depending on configuration and load.

DC fast-charging capability is included, allowing the battery to recharge from ~10 % to ~80 % in roughly 50–55 minutes (depending on charger power and conditions). Level 2 AC charging is also supported (up to ~11 kW onboard).

Payload capability in the cargo-van configuration is up to about 2,030 lb (≈ 920 kg); step-van/delivery body versions carry slightly less.

Towing is limited compared to traditional gasoline heavy-duty vans, making the ProMaster EV better suited for lighter cargo and urban/logistic operations rather than heavy trailers.

Body Styles & Practicality

The ProMaster EV is offered in multiple body lengths and roof heights: for example a 12-foot (≈ 3.66 m) cargo length or extended 13-foot (≈ 4 m) body, with high-roof and super-high-roof options.

Cargo volume tops out around 524 cubic feet (≈14.8 m³) in the largest van body-style configuration.

As with the conventional ProMaster the front-wheel‐drive layout gives a low floor height and large available interior volume for cargo, shelving or up-fit work.

The cabin features a large infotainment screen with smartphone integration (Apple CarPlay / Android Auto), fleet-oriented connectivity and commercial-use ergonomic touches (easy ingress/egress, wide sliding doors, etc.).

Safety/driver-assist features include a 360° camera system (depending on trim), forward-collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and available adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go.

Strengths

A truly electric cargo van offering from a major U.S. brand, with recognizable van architecture and multiple body styles.

The battery built into the floor preserves much of the usable cargo space and floor height of the gasoline version – a key advantage for up-fits and commercial use.

Good power and torque for cargo-van tasks; instant EV torque helps with urban stop-and-go driving.

Lower running costs (no gasoline), fewer moving parts (electric drivetrain) compared to internal-combustion vans – potentially attractive for fleet operators with high usage.

Environmentally friendlier footprint (zero tailpipe emissions) which may help with regulatory compliance, urban access or brand image for businesses.

Considerations / Trade-Offs

The range (~160-170 miles) while adequate for many urban routes, is modest compared with some long-range EVs or for heavy usage patterns (full-day, mixed highway/city, large payloads). For heavy long-haul or remote operations, gasoline or diesel vans may still be preferable.

Payload and towing numbers are lower than the best-in-class conventional vans – if maximum cargo/haul is primary, this may be a limitation.

Charging infrastructure becomes critical: to fully benefit from the EV version you’ll need reliable access to Level 2 (overnight) and/or DC fast-charging in the field. Without this, operational flexibility may be impacted.

Upfront cost is higher than equivalent gasoline vans (even if operating costs may be lower over time). Fleet buyers need to assess total cost of ownership (TCO) including incentives, electricity costs, maintenance and residual value.

Commercial vehicles often have heavy duty and usage patterns – the EV version is newer in market, so long-term durability, service network and resale in commercial fleets will be unproven compared to established ICE versions.

Ideal Use Case / Buyer Profile

The 2025 ProMaster EV is a smart choice for businesses or organisations that:

Operate mostly within urban or suburban settings with predictable daily mileage (e.g., delivery fleets, service vans, last-mile logistics).

Have access to charging infrastructure (home depot charging, overnight charging, or accessible public DC fast-chargers) and can schedule charging around routes.

Value the zero-emissions profile (for regulatory reasons, brand image, access to low-emission zones).

Do not require extremely high towing or maximum payload—rather they prioritise usable cargo volume, utility and lower operating cost for medium-duty daily use.

Want the flexibility to up-fit shelving, racking, compartments without sacrificing the cargo-floor layout advantage (thanks to the battery under-floor design).

Called Chrysler about recall notice and was given a tarp-like cover for the front of my vehicle. Basically told there is no fix, it is a manufacturing defect and cannot be fixed. Put this tarp on your vehicle if the temp drops below -1C or 30 degrees F. Therefore, I paid for a $75,000.00 (tax included) that must have this cover on it in order to drive in cold weather. (I remember 40 yrs ago putting a piece of cardboard in front the radiator of my car to improve the heat, it is now 2015 and nothing seems to have changed.) Otherwise, a warning light comes on then the vehicle goes into limp mode (max speed 30 mph). If this happens I was told to find a warm garage and park the truck in it until it warms up. I can see this happening on a 400 series hwy at 1 am in the morning, and having a huge tracker-trailer drive into me from behind, as I am only limping along trying to find an exit and warm garage. Someone will die from this defect. It is totally unacceptable, incredibly dangerous, and completely irresponsible of Chrysler to hide this defect until you buy the vehicle, then say oh by the way you need this tarp to drive your $75,000.00 truck in the winter. Good luck!

My complaint is regarding my 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie 4X4 Crew Cab. I specially ordered my truck and waited a little over a month for delivery. On the day of delivery, I did a general inspection to make sure the truck had 4 tires and that the gauge display had worked. I followed my wife back home and then parked the truck in my driveway by itself. We went in for a few hours came back out as I helped her into the passenger side of the truck. I noticed that on the b-pillar next to the door latch the truck had a dime size paint chip missing down to the bare metal. I phoned the dealer and was told theyll take care of it. I had my wife take it in. My wife noticed that at the same time the plates were wrong, commercial instead of passenger. So they said they would fix that. The dealer tried to pass off touch up paint, a big glob in fact as a quality fix on a 2012 Brand new truck! I was obviously annoyed with this. I complained, they said theyll send it out to the body shop. This got me concerned to look over the whole vehicle in depth. I checked everywhere. I found multiple scratches in the door jams both on pillars and on the doors themselves all were down to the bare metal! I also found a dent on the driver’s side door that had to come from the factory, seeing how it was at a 45 degree angle an inch behind the handle and had no scratch to it or no paint from another vehicle. The dealership made excuses, but their service guy even stated, hey it was definitely a factory caused blemish. I was told they would take care of it all. I questioned a loner car for the time it was being fixed. I had taken the time to mark with frog tape all the issues and write out a list explaining them and how I didnt want any bond/body filler used and no touch up paint on the vehicle. When my wife went to drop the truck off and hand the service guy the paper I printed up for them, he tells my wife, Oh, this list gets longer and longer. They gave my wife 2000 Dodge Neon that stunk like b.o. and ran with no child seat restraint hooks in the rear. I have a newborn that had to be placed in there. Needless to say, I was perturbed. I called Chrysler and made an official complaint. They had my truck for almost a full week and they didnt bother to give as much as an update call. I had to call both Chrysler and the dealership to find out what was going on. I felt skeptical about my trucks repairs and asked to know what body shop they had it sent to. I was told and attempted to get the technical info on how it was fixed directly from the body shop. They gave me the run around and told me speak to the people at riverhead dodge. I thought it strange like a cover up since its my truck and the people who worked on it had brushed me off to speak to the dealership. I inform Chrysler and they tell me theyll be contacting Riverhead Dodge and get back to me with exactly how my truck was repaired. I said okay. I had to call Chrysler back to get the info from them. I was told some spots were touched up. I was not happy. I then got a call from Riverhead Dodge service dept. stating my truck was all ready for pick up. Due to my work hours and service dept hour’s confliction, I had to go over my truck with a salesman who could care less and was insisting I be happy with what was done. I was not, they had used touch up paint on one of the spots, didnt bother to finish wet sanding another and left a paint run on one. I was furious! I left the truck with a brief note to the service manager explaining why I felt it was not done. I called Chrysler, asked for a manager even though I was told that a manager was to be contacting me in regards to my case. I again had to contact them. I was told and I quote! Since the dealership is satisfied with the repairs made to the vehicle, we here at Chrysler are satisfied with the repairs made to the vehicle. Wow! Some customer service, huh. I thought it was the customer whom they had to satisfy. Guess not. That’s where my complaints have been since. I then during the very next week after, noticed when cleaning my trucks interior that the plastic on the center console passenger side kick panel that it was the bark brown in one spot and all the rest was the tan. I phoned another dealership, made an appointment with their service dept. They made note ordered the right color piece and replaced it without issue. So my main complaint is with Riverhead Dodge and Chrysler itself. If they end up with requiring another bail out, the government had best not assist them again and let them go under. I think a lesson in humility is exactly what they need so that whoever buys the company next can make some changes, both in the quality of the product and the quality of the customer service.

I bought my 2016 Dodge Ram 4X4 Cummings diesel used in Coldwater Michigan. I live in Northern Indiana. The truck had 33,000 miles on it. I have had no problems with this truck. Changed the fuel filters when I first got it and did an oil change. The truck runs like a top. I haul a 32 foot travel trailer in the summer months to go camping and it tows so much better than my gas model Ram 2500. It was a 2008. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Love this truck...

I have had my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi for 6 months now. The first problem is Sirius radio does not work all the time. It cuts off and on almost constantly. Second, and most troubling, is the transmission is not shifting properly from over drive (6th) down to any other setting. It takes about 5 to 10 seconds to respond, and while in cruise, it will delay downshifting while climbing an incline for as long as it takes to drop 5 to 7 miles per hour before it reacts. The other problem is first thing in the morning, the transmission will not go into reverse. You start the truck and drop it into reverse, and it just sits there. Put it back into park and wait about 1 to 3 minutes, and it goes into reverse but backs up so slowly that you would swear it was freezing outside.Next, the rear view mirror doesnt dim at night. Next, there is no road hazard warranty on the tires direct from Goodyear or the dealer, but they dont tell you that. Next, the truck was advertised to get 20 highway and 14 in town. My GMC truck got 21 on the highway, and this thing gets at best 13.8 MPG. I was told that the mileage should improve. I now have 38K on the truck, and fuel mileage has dropped to 9.2 MPG.Now to the best part. I have had this truck in my dealers face at least 1 week a month or more every month for the past 6 months (since purchased new), and the line Im being fed is that there is nothing wrong with my truck. Since it has not set a code, the dealer (and per Dodge) cannot change a part or spend their money correcting anything that isnt or doesnt break.I make my living with my truck. Im losing money every mile I drive with the fuel expenses. A friend of mine is getting 22 MPG with his truck (a new 2012 also). Any one with a 2012 Ram that is experiencing the fuel mileage problems I have seen, please contact me. I need 500 owners with verifiable fuel mileage concerns to start a class action suit against Dodge. I spent many years building and restoring cars, and Im tired of dealing with stupidity from these glorified parts changers (now called technicians, not mechanics) who cant find their ass without a code.

The truck would never steer in a straight line and a turning involved a hard clunk ending in a wild direction change. $1200, couple of years and a few thousand kilometers later its the getting to be the same.

I have been reading all the bad reviews for Dodge pickups. Some are really bad. I bought a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummings diesel engine. I have almost 200,000 miles on it and it has been almost trouble free except for a fuel pump a few years ago. I am still driving it and most of the driving was pulling a 34 ft fifth wheel across the country. I think maybe some changes must have been made for all of these comments to be bad reviews for Dodge. I would really do some research before buying another on though. Sad too about the dealers not standing behind their customers. I will check here with Consumer Affairs before I buy anything in the future.

I own a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500. I was having transmission problems as a result of a recall on solenoid. I had it replaced 4 times. The first three times I was still under 100k miles. I had transmission rebuilt $3700. Service engine light came on again. Brought it to dealer where they replaced solenoid again. Dealer said truck needs new transmission and cost would be $7900. I asked Dodge for assistance covering parts since it was a result of recall. 2015 truck had 100k warranty and 2016 only 60k which is obviously not long enough. Dodge would not offer any assistance at all. The truck engine is not built to last long.

The truck was purchased used from the second owner, so it has some issues. Overall though, it is a good truck. It has not had any major mechanical problems, only minor ones. The truck always runs, is very reliable and dependable. Also, the price was right for what we could afford at the time. It was in good shape for the year. The dash was in one piece, which is unusual for a used truck. Normally, the dashes are cracked and broken from the sun and heat. The title was clear. We ended up making a new friend as well. I like that the truck is blue plus it is a basic model. It has manual locks and windows. It is just a good work truck. However, the heater comes on when you press the brake, so it has to be disabled during the summer. Also, before the brakes get warmed up, be careful and slowly press them or you may end up hitting your head on the steering wheel. Once they warm up, they are like normal brakes though. The windshield needs to be replaced because it is cracked as well.

On October 2015 I purchased this truck. The same day as I was driving I heard a high to low rumbling noise. Took it back to dealer for service. Changed front axle shaft, noise continues. After 3rd time to dealer, they contacted Chrysler and were told this noise was normal. Very annoying noise at 70 mi an hour. Traded in a 2012 Ram, no problem with noise (both trucks are 5.7L, 4x4s). A friend and I bought two 2008 Dodge Ram trucks. At the time, the dealer had them sale priced by almost ten thousand dollars! How could anyone resist such a bargain! However, we should have heeded the old saying You get what you pay for. Well, right from the start, my trucks transmission shifted hard from first to second. I took it in and the serviceman said The transmission needs to break in. WHAT!!! I thought he was joking but he wasnt!!! So after 5000 miles, the problem continued and the dealer said there is nothing they can do about it. I traded it and bought a Ford. Consequently, absolute flawless operation with the Ford F150 for years now!!!Secondly, my friend’s truck would burn out a transmission solenoid every time he put his truck in four wheel drive. Meaning, he could not take it out of four wheel. To date (2016) the dealer has NOT been able to repair the problem!! He also has numerous other problems since he purchased it and unfortunately, cant afford to buy a new truck. My opinion, Chrysler makes subpar products having so many flaws. They just cant keep up with offering corrected solutions or remedies to repair them (or just dont care to as a way of doing business). Rather, the dealers teach their employees how to double talk (lie) to confuse the customer so they (the customer) will be convinced that pigs can fly.

On 7/15/13, I purchased a Dodge Ram truck from Smolich Motors in Bend. I love the Truck but the finance officer wasnt clear and didnt explain all the extra cost he added on to our deal. After examining the paperwork within a month later, I decided to cancel the extended warranty and the service that I was told was free. I then decided to go through my credit union for the finance but they had to wait for the extended warranty to go through the other bank and be refunded first. 90 days later they finally refunded the $2,200. Then the service contract I was told would come directly to me and wouldnt have to go through the bank sense it was through the dealership and it would only take two to three weeks. Well that was back in October and now we are in to December and I still dont have the refund for the service which I never wanted and never used. The last time I checked they told me it had to go through the bank and the bank would send it back to me. I checked with the Bank and they had not received it. So now we have my money in limbo somewhere and nobody will do anything about it. ** at the dealership has treated me like He doesnt have the time for me and Im unimportant. His excuse for all the mix up was the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. I found him rude and very unprofessional. I dont enjoy being treated with disrespect. I will never deal with that dealership again. Just would like to get the refund they owe me.

I bought a leftover 2010 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins from the dealer I work at. Since I bought it, its had a vibration issue. The seat is fraying about. There was a sudden loss in power and a sudden drop in fuel mileage. The tires are cupping, the door seals are leaking, and I have added over 3 gallons of antifreeze. After having it in the shop many times, they still cannot find the vibration issue. They do all the recording, because I guess Dodge thinks that the computer vibration analyzer will pick up everything. After being without my truck for 3 weeks, Dodge told my dealer to return the truck to me and that everything was going to be fine - after they didnt have the dealer check for why the antifreeze was running low and why the oil was mysteriously overfull. They then proceeded to tell me that the transfer case seeping oil out was an acceptable oil leak. Are you kidding me? This is a 2010 leftover, newly bought in May 2012 with 7500 miles on it, and they say an oil leak is acceptable? Dodge will not stand behind their products and its an act of God to get stuff warranty! I am very disappointed. Also, the fact is its still in vibration and now seems worse than when I dropped it off!

Just over 2 years ago I purchased a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 from Vasko Dodge located near Canonsburg, PA. The truck has 23,000 miles on it. The truck currently has just over 36,000 miles on it. During my 13,000 miles of ownership to date, the following has been replaced or repaired on this truck (majority of which were sold to me this way): broken front wheel; air filter with 1/2 inch of dirt; windshield wipers; windshield washer fluid empty; front tie rod end; front coil overs/struts; repaired dent/rust on tail gate (Part of Sales Agreement/I paid a discount); tires; front brakes and rotors; rear brakes and rotors; transmission fluid; trans axle fluid; transfer case fluid; spark plugs; anti-freeze; fuel injectors had to be cleaned so engine would idle properly; gas cap; pressure sensor for gas tank (so check engine light would go out); and serpentine belt. I have an office job and all this truck hauls is a DVD movie and a bag of groceries on occasion. This truck is nothing a but a poorly built pile of junk and a money pit that has taken away from the quality of my life and caused me much stress and anxiety. Never again! I am done with Dodge.

I bought new a 2008 2500 Dodge Ram work truck with the 6.7L Cummins engine. I pamper this truck. it is almost shameful how lightly I use this machine, but sometimes I need to tow small work trailers while the truck is loaded over short distances. It is a manual shift 6 speed. I now have 45,000 easy miles on it. I am now 1,000 miles into the second clutch on the truck, and (thanks to Crown Dodge in Ventura Ca. and some worn-out ball joints) I am $6,400 poorer! I was told then that 35,000 is all you can expect out of a Dodge clutch. The truck also only gets 12.3 MPG empty on the freeway! Why has this expensive work truck worn out so quickly after so light a work load and low miles? Why do my friends with similar trucks get 20 MPG? I guess I need to try and trade in this truck and buy something that will hold up. I dont think it will be a Ram. Perhaps, the unions could fix my problems!? This is shameful.

All the bolts on my clutch fan fell out of my less than year old truck while I was driving 110 on the Hwy. I just managed to pull my truck off the road safely because I did not have power steering after this happened. Then I was told that none of the 2800 in damage that this caused would be covered because I was 8000 km over my warranty. This should never happen in a lifetime of a truck let alone after a year.

I just bought a new 2016 RAM 1500 Limited, just shy of $60,000. The truck is really a luxurious, roomy, and very comfortable ride all-around. In fact, this is my second RAM as I traded a 2012 Dodge RAM 1500 Big Horn. Today marks one month of ownership and I have only put 225 miles on the truck since taking delivery.Upon getting my new RAM home I started to notice several issues with both exterior and interior finishes that are result of sloppy handling of materials during manufacturing. In addition, my exhaust system was loose and the right rear tailpipe was loose enough to fall off. I notified my dealer and took it in for review of all issues noted. The dealer will be replacing a dash bezel and the leather covered console armrest to remove damaged materials. Then my dealer reviewed the bubble-like fish eye in the paint on the hood. What was so shocking he walked around the truck and pointed out numerous defects in the finish of the paint that I had not found on my own. The more he looked, the more defects he found. It reached a point where I felt really bad about my new truck and really sick about the price I paid for it! The dealer has opened a case on my truck which isnt entirely clear to me what that means.I get home from my visit to my dealer and decide to call RAM customer service to relate all of this and learned something that was not disclosed to me at the point of sale. I was so excited to finally own a vehicle that would give me the ability to navigate Pandora on a big dash screen. Over the past month I have about gone crazy trying to get Pandora to load to the UConnect system only to learn from a rep at RAM customer service that there is no way to make it work as intended due to the loss of a third party technology relationship that is necessary to bring Pandora and UConnect together. What a disappointment!I was told that a notice went out to dealers earlier this year regarding the Pandora issue. However, no one informed me, the consumer, that this luxury feature will never work through the UConnect system. This may have given me pause to move ahead with the purchase. At nearly $60,000, I should not be writing such a negative review of my new truck. All I can do is hope that RAM steps up and backs the product and goes the distance to give me some sense of customer satisfaction. That part remains to be seen.

I purchased a New Dodge Ram Ecodiesel pickup in November of 2017. It was one of the first ones made after the emission updates. The truck will not run properly after it sits overnight in cold temperatures. The dealer has had it in the shop at least 6 times. They tell me that Chrysler is working on a computer update for the problem. I did hire Lemon Lawyer, but they havent helped at all. This is my first and last Chrysler product! I havent seen the truck for almost a month. My dealer did give me an old truck to drive. But, that doesnt seem fair when Im making payments on my new one. I just want some answers and to get rid of this piece of crap. I use my vehicle for my office. I am on the road selling 5 days per week.

I am going hell with my Ram Promaster 1500 2015 I purchased 2 and half years. From day one it just has cause problems. Brakes went after 15,000 miles. Dealer (Dodge Ram Central Ave Yonkers NY) said there was nothing with them even though my mechanic told me there was and to bring it back to dealer as for the van was still under warranty. Nevertheless they wouldn’t change them. It cost me $1200 out of my own pocket. Now for this last 2 weeks my van has been making weird noises, found one of radiator fans was broke so couldn’t use my ac till it was fixed then I was told the part that I need is on national back order and will take 1 -2 months to get. Wow now 2 days the other fan went and van is overheating and the only way I can drive is if I have heat on full blast which is impossible with 80 degree weather. Ram has told me that I shouldn’t drive the van as it could cause more damage. My mechanic has told there is 1400 people waiting for this part. It’s manufactured problem and ram hasn’t even issue a recall. They won’t give me loaner van. I now have to pay to rent a van $550 a week out of pocket till part is made which could be 1/2 months. They actually can’t give me ETA. I really think this should be looked into. Big corporations shouldn’t be able to get with this. I pay $38000 for this van which I shouldn’t have any problems for least 4/5 Years. Why should I have to pay for rental when’s it’s a manufacturer issue. Please help.

Bad service until I reported them to BBB and Chrysler Service - they finall
Bad service until I reported them to BBB and Chrysler Service - they finally asked me to drop my truck for an inspection on my driveshaft. I bought a pick up truck on Nov 1st, 2014 and two weeks later I found out that I have engine light on, extremely Rusty powertrain driveshaft and front bumper came off by itself. Regarding my front bumper, one of the service guy who always sitting on the front to greet customers and taking their information, attempted to claim that I ran into something. I asked him to take a look himself. Obviously he couldnt find anything such as dent or scratches because like I told him, the bumper just came off by itself. One of the bumper, whatever you called that, the thing that hold the nuts ripped off and I dont even know how it happened. Bad manufacturing process I believe. He called the service manager who take a look himself for 10 secs and asked somebody to drive to the back to get it fix, no question being asked at all. That was alright with me including the engine light which was updated. The driveshaft is the whole new level.I found out later a lot of people from Fort Benning having problems with them, and have bigger mechanical problems (as in vehicle are not operational or having safety hazards). The rusty driveshaft was partially my fault, because I should have check the bottom part of the truck before I purchased it. However, right now they still dont want to resolve my driveshaft issue since Chrysler wouldnt do it either and my case file was closed. I was told that I have to pay on my own to get it cleaned out or doing whatever service I have to on my driveshaft. It cost me $60,000~ to buy this, and this is not ethical at all for their service. I am not going to talk about other features that the salesman promised me on the truck because I know most of them are just lies since I corrected the salesman for several times regarding the features of the trucks. However, certain things I was not sure so I bought into it at that time. Payload is only 1800~ lbs but I was told I have 3000~ lbs. Towing is only 17,000~ lbs but I was told 22,000~ lbs. I dont care much about the towing since if I do buy a trailer or 5th wheel, it wouldnt go beyond that towing capacity. However, the payload is what I need the most right now and this Laramie truck is not able to carry any truck camper for all seasons. 1800~ lbs is horrible for modern pick up truck. I am getting an attorney to fix my driveshaft and that is something I can do. I have to wait until around 2016 to get another new truck and this time I am not sure I will get Chrysler brand anymore. I will definitely lost around $10,000 to $15000 or more. That doesnt include $5000 extra cost on my truck compare to other dealer at that time and a special rebate of $500 that the dealer didnt give me (military rebate and additional $500 rebate to my referral). I will find a way to contact somebody in JAG or whoever to raise hell so that this dealer will be blacklisted from Fort Benning personnel. I should have rate the salesman bad rating on the survey. He (Paul) asked me to put all good rating on him.I attempted to resolve the problem with the dealer where I bought the truck from and Chrysler Service but nothing was resolved regarding my rusty driveshaft. I was told that I have to pay money to get it cleaned up. I bought it on Nov 1st, 2014 and two weeks later I just found out that the driveshaft is extremely rusty. However, nobody wants to take any responsibility. Do you really think most buyer would want to buy a rusty driveshaft if they found it on the spot? I will find an attorney after this Christmas holiday (or later on today, Dec 26th, 2014). This is simply not ethical. First thing I will do is, I will find several buyers from my unit in Fort Benning to make complaints to our JAG so that the dealer, Carl Gregory Dodge, RAM, Jeep from Victory Drive, Columbus, GA to be blacklisted so nobody from Fort Benning, GA will ever set foot on their store. Next, I will have to deal how to get my own truck fixed. Other buyers, I have gathered have other bigger mechanical issues with this dealer. Since, we couldnt resolve this in a proper honest business relationship this is the only solution to fix the whole fiasco. I asked for paperworks regarding my last service with your company and Lawrence told me it was your company policy that the case files are not allowed to be release. They are considered legal documents but your company couldnt even released it.As of Jan 10, 2015, My Bumper is falling off again and I can see the gap is getting bigger but not as bad like last time. Also, Chrysler, nor the dealership considering replacing my rusty driveshaft. I am sick of hearing from the fanboys talking about nothing wrong with it. Really? You seriously would walk into a shop to buy anything that is rusty just because you are the loyal brand follower? My payload is still horrible and I couldnt buy the truck camper like I originally plan. This truck is not built to carry any heavy payload for the equivalent class 3/4 tons. 1st time buyer of RAM truck.

We purchased our 2019 Dodge Ram Lone Star on Labor Day of 2018, from All-Star Dodge in Canyon, TX. We live on 3 miles of dirt road, out in the country! The cab of our NEW pickup fills up with dirt every time we go down it! So much it’s suffocating! I’ve taken our truck to All-Star and they took pictures and they sent them into Chrysler, but they said the doors looked completely sealed. Since then I’ve sent MORE pictures and a video to Salvador at All-Star and still nothing is being done!??? My advice, don’t buy one of these, if you’re going to be driving it on dirt roads!! That’s pretty much why we own/buy trucks, because we live on a dirt road!! We own Fords and have owned Chevys and NEVER have we had dirt filling the cab, of our other pickups anytime!! Oh and I’m VERY OCD, about keeping my vehicles clean, at all times and I CAN’T KEEP THIS ONE CLEAN, AT ALL ON THE INSIDE!! We’ve had this truck starting January 1, 2019 goin on 5 months, that being said! I’ve been inhaling all the dirt and continue to, all this time and have been sneezing, coughing and dealing with sinus infections, from this crap! I’m headed back to Amarillo today 12-29-18, so YES I’m going to All-Star Dodge AGAIN & gonna see about getting someone higher up the ladder or having Salvador call someone higher than him!! Sick of this crap!! Oh yes and the trucks under warranty and I’ve already heard that All-Star Dodge will not/do not stand behind their word of, “We will take care of our customers!” So DON’T SHOP THERE!!

A week ago, on June 25, 2013, I arrived home at 4 pm and left with a friend and was notified by my neighbor at 6:30 pm that my truck which had been parked since 4 pm was fully engulfed in flames. He held water from the garden hose on it until the VFD arrived to extinguish what was left. The end result is that from the cab forward, it is totally burned to the ground. With only liability insurance on it, its a total loss with no idea how it caught on fire. The point of origin looks to be from the drivers side fender well area under the hood. Ive heard numerous rumors of the fuse boxes shorting out, and/or the avs shorting out causing the fire. Thus far, Ive not seen or heard of any recall from Dodge. Can anyone guide me to the correct direction for restitution for my truck that was in great condition with many more miles of dependability left in it or so I thought? Is Dodge going to stand behind their product that has been proven by other owners to have this problem and make good for it? Or just keep taking our money for vehicles with a lifespan of maybe lasting long enough to pay them off before just having to dispose of it?

My 2008 Dodge Ram 1500s motor blew up on Aug 6. This particular model is not covered past three years/36,000 miles. I bought it used and the first owner didnt buy the extended warranty. I contacted Chrysler directly, case number 21213374, in order to find out if they would assist me in some way since a three-year-old motor should not blow up. Aug 8 was my initial call and I have called my caseworker Natasha every day and left messages in order to find a resolution. She has not yet returned my calls despite my plea for immediate assistance and I am without a vehicle and insurance will not provide a loaner. Considering the automotive industry is lagging considerably, wouldnt customer service be a top priority? No loyalty to repeat owners (I have had six Chrysler autos) and complete indifference to people in need of help.

In late June my vehicle was in a car accident. The vehicle went in to our local Auto Nation Collision Center for repair in Winter Garden, Fl. Unfortunately they have not been able to complete my repair due to the extreme back order on the part. I own a 2007 Dodge Ram Laramie and the clockspring has been on back order since at least July. Chrysler has only been able to give me a release date they acquired from my repair shop. I called them to submit a complaint and their method of verifying the information was calling my repair shop. I felt that by calling the direct manufacturer Mopar Chrysler they would provide me with a solution. Instead they cannot confirm when parts are going to be available since there are so many request ahead of me, 186 to be exact. They further explained there could be a wait for over 18 months. Until then I have no vehicle, and it is my burden to carry because there was a repair needed where a part is not available. I asked for rental car options and they declined any type of remediation. I understand that we are responsible for repairs as a consumer, but when there is not even an option to complete a repair what am I left to do? Its been 6 months, and now I am definitely out of patience. I am extremely disappointed in Chrysler Ram at this time. I have been a loyal customer with 4 vehicles purchased from the brand in the past 10 years. Not what I expected from a national US automotive company.

We purchased this vehicle brand new in 2011. We love the truck and have never had any issues with it except for the paint chipping off and its rusting already at 4 years old. At approximately a year old we noticed a random chip above one of the headlights. You can tell it bubbled up and chipped off. The damage was not from a rock or an accident. We now have 2 different rust spots. One is on the end gate coming out from the dodge emblem and the other is right above the windshield. Like I stated, love the truck but am very disappointed in the quality of the paint!!

This is my third Dodge Ram truck and it has been in service 16 times in 2 years. I have had everything from a drivers airbag warning light taking 5 trips to get fixed (and I had to live with while driving 3,000 miles across the country) to multiple DEF problems with the last one resulting in the entire replacement of certain systems. Perhaps the most troubling aspect of this truck is how many times there is a software update affecting the performance of the engine and mileage. 3 updates ago my mileage dropped 25%. The most recent update has restore much of this. As reported by others, the front end does not hold alignment and at 20,000 had to replace one front tire. The dealer here in Salt Lake City has both had their hands tied by Ram warranty service requirements (resulting in multiple trips) as well as having them drill through my brake line while doing another recall changing the bracing in my front end for which I did not receive any notice. That is another troubling aspect of the New Ram company. They wait until your truck comes in to tell you oh, we have a recall rather than sending any notification. The last two times I took my truck in resulted in the truck being gone for 3 days the first time (I just took it in for an oil change) to 5 days the last time for the DEF warning again resulting in both multiple recall changes and having my brake line drilled. I simply do not trust the truck any longer for long distant trips and hauling. Honestly, I think much of the blame has to go to Fiat and how they allow dealers to address problems and issues. Its like dealing with a health insurance claim. I have little doubt this story is playing out all over the Chrysler network as well.

We have 2 such pickups at this household and have exact same complaints. We paid over $1100.00 for a GPS/Uconnect system in these vehicles both of which are almost totally worthless. Both of these vehicles are equipped to tow Trailers and both are used to tow Rv Travel Trailers. This crappy GPS sends you on wild goose chases, back roads etc. Its not designed to be used in a tow vehicle at all but there it is and no one wants to step up to the plate and make even a small effort to fix the situation. The dealer says its a product installed at the factory which is not made by Chrysler. I say Chrysler installed it. Its their responsibility to stand behind it and make it work as its advertised to do.I recently went to Canada and it actually showed me driving through fields where no roads exist and the Rt 1 highway I was on has been there over 7 years. Driving south through Maine on Interstate 95, my destination was KOA Campground in Freeport. It told me to exit 95 43 miles before the campground which I done towing a 30-foot trailer. It then proceeded to take me on 5 different country 2 lane roads only to cross 95 two exits below where it told me to exit.Next issue, WiFi. A monthly fee of 34.99 is supposed to give WiFi service up to 150 feet from vehicle. Well that 150 feet is more truthfully 20 feet MAX and the service is so slow. The accessory timer built in the RAM (15 to 20) Minutes shuts power off before you can get connected to a website. This family actually likes both of these vehicles but the High Dollar accessories suck. We will not be buying another RAM Product Simply because of service from Chrysler sucks. The Dealer has tried a lot of things to help but I see it as their hands are tied from no support as Paul Harvey said, PAGE 2.

I had a check engine light come on on a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 with 17,000 actual miles. Took it to our dodge dealer (Christophers Dodge) and upon running the computer was told that there was probable a clogged exhaust line and/or valves not working. Upon taking the truck in a week later was informed by Christophers Dodge that we had a completely plugged EGR Cooler and it would cost around $3200.00 to fix. This has been a problematic part with Chrysler and if replaced during the 5 year 100,000 miles warranty it would be paid for. Well since our vehicle falls out of the 5 year warranty period they would only reduce the cost of the labor. Even though the vehicle only has 17,000 miles and looks like it came off the showroom. We were informed we were not loyal customers since we had not done our oil changes there. So we ended up paying 2600.00 for the repair and in my opinion will never purchase another Chrysler product since they do not back their vehicles.

I purchased my 2007 2500 diesel truck brand new from the dealership. After 3 months, the truck was in the shop for the first of many visits. By 40,000 miles, I had replaced the batteries 3 times, driver and passenger HUB assemblies, wheel seals and 4-wheel drive. By 60,000 miles, the transmission was blown. By 80,000, a death wobble had started that is unfixable. Its in the shop every 2 months for the same fix. This truck has been a piece since the first day. I have owned nothing but heavy duty trucks for hauling livestock and ranch life. I bought this truck because I was told you can get hundreds of thousands of miles on these engines! I am very meticulous with cleaning my truck (2009 Dodge Ram Diesel) because I like it, spent a lot of money on it, and want it to last. Every time I wash it, which is usually once a week, I thoroughly sponge wash the interior of all wheel wells. Now I started noticing bubbles in the paint over the rear wheel wells. While at the dealership for a tie rod recall I had the service manager at Hoffman Chrysler/Dodge, Hagerstown, MD looked at the rust development. He agreed that as clean as the truck is kept that it should not be rusting. He gave me an (800) number for Chrysler and said I could even offer his name for verification. I called and they made me feel foolish for even calling. Actually told me he shouldnt have given me the number and that it wasnt something they were responsible for. In my opinion Chrysler knows they have a manufacturing problem for 1000s of their trucks to be rusting out in the same areas in such a short time. I love the truck but could never purchase another Dodge. None of my Fords or Chevys ever rusted out in 5 years. By the way, I was notified of the tie rod recall and it took 10 months for Chrysler to get the parts to the dealership for replacement. They were sending them one at a time and there were lots of owners on the list for the recall just at my dealer alone. You pay a lot of money for these Diesel trucks and once you drive away they act like its not a problem for them to rust away in 5 years. :-(

Sold my 05 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel to buy New 2016 RAM 2500 w/ turbo diesel. After having the fuel sensing unit go out at about 45,000 miles, got it fixed under warranty luckily with 150 dollars deposit. So here I am with 65000 miles, now its the turbo actuator part. Apparently its about 3100 dollars (American) without the warranty. So I am locked to have the dealership do the work, and of course its backordered and I am out of my truck for going on 2 weeks (while renting a mini van to keep myself in business). All I can tell anyone, buy the dealership warranty before driving off the lot. Biggest mistake Ive made ever since selling my 05 Dodge Ram inline 6. The newer trucks are made very cheaply you end up with lots of problems unless you get an extended warranty when you first purchase a vehicle. A ton of recalls. Overall my Dodge Ram is not equipped to handle a great deal of payload compared to other pickup truck. In order to get this repaired it takes a lot of money and its very difficult to get anyone to work on them unless its the dealership and theyre very expensive. I am a dog trainer. I needed a good, dependable truck for my business. Lots of my friends have Dodge Rams (different versions) and one has over 400,000 miles on his Diesel. I pull horse trailers. I am on the road a lot and need good transport for dogs and me. So, after much research and recommendations of Dodge Ram, I decided to go that route. When I looked it up under consumer research articles, it was one of the highest recommended trucks on the road.Just last week (October, 2014), my dealership sent me a letter wanting to buy back my truck for a good sum. Stated this was the most popular model and they were in desperate need of them and had a waiting list of people. At that time, I had only $2,000.00 before paying off my Dodge Ram. I opted not to sell my truck to the dealership and trade up. I needed a vehicle that would last me at least 200,000 miles and keep me free of truck payments for at least 5 years. Then I would trade up, or not, depending on how well my truck was holding up. I have always done the proper maintenance on my truck when it was needed. Oil change, fluid changes and checks, tire rotations, new brakes, new tires and babied it, because hey, its a Dodge Ram and will last me at least 10 years or 200,000 miles. Needless to say, that was not to be. On a trip home from Illinois, just across the Indiana line, my truck blew the engine. When the mechanics checked my truck and took the head off, it showed every bit of 100,000 miles. After much discussion and more research, I was told that this particular model, 2008 dodge Ram 1500 had aluminum in the valves and should have had steel. No wonder it fell apart at 6,000 miles out of warranty. The story gets better. Because I lost compression in my truck, I lost almost all control of my brakes and steering. I was in Poseyville, Indiana at the time. It almost cost me a dog grooming parlor, but fortunately I was able to get the truck into the gravel parking lot and stopped. I have called around to see my options and presently I am at $5,000.00 to get a rebuilt engine and have it installed. My truck is at a friends in another state and it cost me $350.00 to have it towed to their house. Towing it back to Kentucky was financially out of the question. My full coverage insurance refunded me $80.00 of this. So, now I am out of a work vehicle and I have no vehicle to drive. That puts me in the position of making the rest of my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck payments (I owe a whomping $2000.00) and the cost of renting a car until I can save the money to have mine fixed. At that point I will have to sell it or whatever. But I still have to pay my house payment, utilities, office rent space for my business, etc.I am not whining, I am not feeling sorry for myself, so you haters and naysayers keep it to yourself. I am thoroughly pissed that I researched a truck, did my best to make the right choice for my business and now I am out a vehicle. Bottom line; This was not a used truck. It was a brand new, right off the show room floor vehicle, cared for and babied (yes, I can prove it... I have every oil change and filter, etc. ever put on it) because I tried to choose the right vehicle for me. It lasted less than 4 years, and has 106,000 miles on it... and I paid a very hefty price for this piece of junk that was touted as one of the best trucks on the market.Kentucky’s useless Lemon Laws: The Kentucky Lemon Law applies when, during the first year or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first), following delivery of a new vehicle: The dealer has attempted to repair the same problem four (4) or more times, or the vehicle has been out of service for repair at the dealership for a cumulative total of 30 days or more. To qualify for the Lemon Law, the problem must substantially impair the use, value, or safety of the automobile. Vehicles leased after July 15, 1998 are also covered. Kentucky Informal Dispute Resolution System or Arbitration: Kentucky requires manufacturers to provide new vehicle owners with a cost-free informal dispute resolution system. The decision is binding on the manufacturer but not the consumer. You qualify if the dispute happened in the first two (2) years or 25,000 miles (whichever comes first), and you are a Kentucky resident AND you purchased the vehicle in Kentucky.

I purchased a new 2013 Ram 3500 Dually Longhorn. I currently have 83,000 miles on the truck. I have towed my 21000LB 5th wheel camper 17,000 miles. I am very impressed with the quality and the capabilities of this truck, I have had two issues with the truck thus far, a def injection/DPF exhaust part failure, and, a seized water pump. Both times the dealer service was quite good. I would buy another one. I just sold my 2001 Ram Cummins 2500 with 307,000 miles. It was an excellent truck. I replaced it with a 2017 Ram 1500 Longhorn. I hope it does as well. So far so good, I love the Ram boxes and the cargo management system.

We purchased a new Dodge Ram 1500, Big Horn Edition, complete towing package/navigation. It has been in the dealer shop, quite a few times, more than any vehicle I have ever owned, navigation issues, tires worn out in 15,000 miles, can’t even roll down our back passenger windows without having your eardrums broken, the noise is horrendous, they say it fine, don’t roll down window. First time we opened rear window on cab, wouldn’t close, got everything in cab wet, they finally replaced cable after the third time at dealer, and I let “Everyone” in the dealership know of my disdain for my new truck. I have ticking issues now in my engine, they say its fine, its not!!! Then they checked my in cab filter during oil change, and they broke my filter box, I found pieces on floor after the oil change, they didn’t tell me, I went right back in with pieces in my hand, and they said, We will have to pull the whole dash out to fix/ replace it! I still am furious about this, I duct taped it all. Paint is so thin, I have chips in paint all over front, and sides!!! I had a 2009 Dodge Ram, with the 360 cu in in it, had 320,000 miles on it, only repair was a intake gasket and transmission valve replaced... NEW Is Not Better... Paid over $55,000 for a piece of junk, will never own another Dodge Ram again, I am done with bad trucks, bad service... Very frustrated.

From day 1 when I drove off the lot I called dealer and said brakes are squeaking and grinding. They said too bad get new brakes, lol. Yep seriously brand new van. So I have taken it for a weekly oil change for 2 months and said brakes are bad and have been told no it is my imagination. So now that the warranty is out they say I need to pay them 500 for new brakes. They are worn to metal on 2 month old van. The coolant leaks. There is a hole in the floor of the van, a mid-weld, the headliner does not meet pastis and is frayed, one recall cant be fixed. No parts and dont know when they will have them. The leaf spring bushings are bad and the van squeaks going down road. So 2 issues are dangerous safety issues. Chrysler will not fix anything. I had a 10 year old Sprinter that I should have kept. This is complete junk and Ram Chrysler has zero customer care. Do not buy one, this may put me out of business. The pic is the hole in floor. Notice you can see the ground outside

In January 2013, we purchased a new Ram 1500 Longhorn - over $65,000.00. Eight months into ownership the air ride suspension system failed. Chrysler and 3 dealerships denied any issues with it. We are now in March of 2014. Truck has not been safe to drive since October 9th, 2013 due to failed suspension. Compressor overheats, ABS and Trailer brake system have thrown error codes for immediate service, Nav system randomly starts and was stuck on US roads, radio works on its own, heated and air conditioned seats work occasionally. The list goes on and on. Dealership says too bad. We dont want it back. Chrysler Canada also not helpful to resolve. Dealership has attempted to rectify with assistance from engineers but they have no idea what is going on with truck. 1 dealership in Red Deer Alberta kept clearing codes saying nothing wrong. We have pictures yet they continually deny, deny, deny. Nobody cares - we are just the little guy and are now stuck paying for a truck that is not safe enough to be on the roads.

The Dodge brake controller, when not working, does not indicated that it is not working. Hence one is left without brakes when pulling a trailer. This is a serious failure. When the Dodge dealer is asked to remove the integrated brake controller from the vehicle computer system all you get is cant. This of course is BS and is clearly stated on all the Dodge forums as being possible. So why should it be impossible to get a dealer to fix your truck?? Lack of caring is how I put it and hence why Dodge gets the lowest ratings.

Tires all wear out faster than theyre supposed to, computers been flashed at least 12 times, transmission went into limp mode at 155000.1 exacexac because the computer went out of the transmission. The dealership wrecked my truck into the garage door and I am still fighting with them. Im trying to get that paid for after they depreciated the value of my truck that they just wanted to put body filler in it and paint it. I had to pay my insurance company to fix it, and Laporte Chrysler in Indiana is refusing to give up their insurance information. Ongoing situation of nothing but problems and the runaround and lied to and cheated. Ongoing situation of nothing but problems and has been the biggest nightmare I have ever encountered dealing with the dealership and Chrysler in general. So disappointed, has been the biggest nightmare I have ever encountered dealing with the dealership. I would love to find a lawyer that I could sue Chrysler for all the problem that I have. I had to pay my insurance company a 1200 dollar deductible and lost out on $14,000 and work because my commercial vehicle had to be repaired and I couldnt use it to work. I thought I was buying a new truck so I wouldnt be stranded on the side of the road but this truck has done nothing but left me on the side of the road.

My hubby could have been killed. Very lucky my two year old son wasnt aboard. They are claiming that there is a nail hole in the tire and that’s what caused the blow out. As if passing over $50,000 to them for the truck wasnt enough. Now we are driving around with a 17 inch dummy tire on our brand new truck. She is off level from having 20 inch tires on all besides one. Something needs to be done about this.

Just bought my truck two months ago, only made three payments so far and its the super basic model, no bells, no whistles. When we first took the test drive there was upper ticking (which still happens from time to time upon start-up) in the motor and the salesman said it hasnt been started in a while but would make sure it was fixed. Then the first time I ever switched it into 4wd it made horrible grinding noises. Took it to the beach and almost got stuck cause the 4wd wouldnt engage properly. Took it back to the dealership to have it looked at and they said it was fine, but of course, it will seem fine on flat pavement cause there is no resistance. At that point, I found out about some recalls that were issued, so I asked for that to be looked into, but there were no parts available and one of the recalls. Chrysler didnt even know what they were going to do about it and I was advised to not drive my truck, yet all the 2015 models were pulled off the lot and werent able to be sold for the same recall. So seeing how my truck was deemed unsafe for my family I asked for a different truck. They wouldnt do anything for me not even get me a loaner car till this issue was figured out. The dealership offered to give me a trade in on another truck, but wouldnt give me what I paid for my truck two months ago and also the trade in would raise my monthly payments. This is complete ** in my eyes how I have had nothing but issues with this truck and all I want is a vehicle that is reliable and safe for my family and not a single person will get me a fair deal on a different truck or something. Im paying 35k for a unsafe vehicle. I cannot wait to be done with Chrysler. This is the very first time I have ever bought a vehicle from a dealership and this whole experience has ruined dealerships for me. Thanks for nothing.

Took it to the dealer where I purchased it to find out why it locked up. They have no idea - possibly a caliper defect. Bottom line have to replace both rear calipers and pads and have the fluid flushed. Never in 30+ years of owning Chrysler products have I had a caliper lock up at any mileage and I have had trucks with over 250000 miles. I have 2019 Dodge Ram lease, I’m very satisfied with the vehicle EXCEPT for the touch screen which is so attention distracting that I believe it poses a hazard for drivers. I find myself having to pull off the side of the road to operate features because the system is so complex it’s a distraction. The US Navy is getting rid of touch screens because they feel they are a danger and blame them for two recent vessel collisions. 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually. I really wanted to love this truck. I was coming from a Ford 6.0 let down, really loved the truck. Had I done a hair more work I would still have the truck. First, the alignment was bad from the day I drove it off the lot. Seemed fine but the front tires were bald, thread showing, by 35K. Replaced 2 front tires and Hogan Tire shop in Purcellville, VA told me they couldnt align the truck because a ball joint was bad. Furious, I took it to the Dodge dealer and they told me joints were all fine and measuring basically new. Oh, BTW, chose your dealer carefully. The dealer in NOVA cant align a big truck like this because his rack is too small, I was still within warranty for this. 10 hours+, not an exaggeration, of my time to determine the truck was fine and still needed an alignment. I use this heavy duty truck everyday and tow more than three times a week. 10 hours of down time kills me. I never aligned it, totally my fault. Truck was pulling like mad to the right. I have a seriously strong left arm from it. I have new tires and feel like I can ignore, 14K only a couple months in busy truck time, I realize the front right is really wearing badly. WTF, truck less than 50K and serious pull to the right and worn tires on the front, rear are still good. Take to local mech and he aligns, tightens it all.Less than a week later I notice the steering wheel is out of alignment. Each day I drive it is a little more out. I am hauling round bales and finally lose my ** with the steering, over 90 out. I take back to my alignment dudes and they say the lock nuts have backed off. Its a lock nut? What? Well Dodge has 2 nuts that are tightened against each other, not a lock nut, and one backed off. They small shop fixed and I trust the fix since we are over 2 weeks and steering has been rockstar since.Other things, I have had a check engine light since the mid 30K range. No ** the manual says the light will probably resolve itself in a few runs and should do that. Sure as ** that was the case. What they didnt say was that the problems were compounding. Truck was great except there were times we backed into the driveway and the exhaust was terrible, in town we had the same thing since we drive windows down a lot. Absolutely intolerable exhaust smell. We are coming from a 2005 Diesel that was pimped and the smell was appropriate.51K, and now I have a DEF malfunction. I drive this truck everyday. Put only the DEF in it from the store and the pretty plastic containers. I only have 125 miles to drive before it ** down? I have done everything right and this is what my over 50k in American dollars gets me? Oh, and the exhaust warranty is very specific. Dont think you get 8/80K, there are terms.

I am reviewing this truck first of all because I had a total loss due to fire on a major highway in BC Canada. I had a temperature giving erratic readings prior to at about 99000 km just before drivetrain warranty was about to expire. I took the truck down to Kelowna Dodge and explained this along with other issue I was having with the truck and had all fluids changed. Paid for a diagnostic. Problem found to be a poor sensor so they replaced it but it was not covered under drivetrain warranty. Now Im out $500. I picked the truck up and it immediately had the same problem but no cooling issues.I blew a flex plate at 106000 km and it grenaded stuff near the torque converter and toasted my starter. 1.5 days later and $3500 the Abbotsford Dodge dealership. They noticed the sensor problem but said I should take it to the dealership that fixed it to begin with so as to make sure all in now covered under warranty seeing it was problematic before 100000 km. This dealership was great to deal with. I got the truck back into the Kelowna Dodge dealership and they now found it to be a water pump but covered this under warranty. This lasted one day and the same issue with the erratic coolant temperature problems. I talked to other mechanics and they all said its a head gasket and is a common problem. On the way back from the coast through the mountains the truck overheated and my temperature sensor bottomed out at 90 and stayed there and I pulled over immediately. Checked under the hood but kept everything running to allow the fans to cool things down. I called the service department again at Kelowna Dodge and asked them for their advice and they told me to limp it in if the engine is running good. Everything cooled down but the sensor was toast so I started to limp it back but its 200km through the mountains. No problems with the engine. On a big climb with everything sounding fine and taking my time the truck has smoke coming from underneath the hood on passenger side. As a result even with the attempt of a fire extinguisher we could not put it out and it burnt to the ground.I called the dealership about any recourse knowing this should have been solved and was a direct result of their own misdiagnosis and they said the only recourse is insurance however the loss of my vehicle I use for work is now gone. Essentially too bad so sad. They said Ram wont cover the resultant issue of a truck loss from a cooling problem even though under warranty. This directly affects my insurance and Dodge Ram should cover this and get me a new vehicle. If you plan to use these trucks for serious hauling I would not recommend Kelowna Dodge for service nor purchasing the Ram 3500 dually truck for commercial hauling use via reliability problems.

I happen to recommend Dodge trucks. Yes they have a power steering problem based on the tires being too big for the system installed. I own an 03 ram 4x4. In 04 I had steering problems, I bought a custom rack and pinion for 300 bucks, new greasable ball joints (the originals go dry and hard on steering) and the tallest narrow tires I could find. Along with a 35 dollar steering pump from jegs 4x4 so in total about 500 bucks. Its now 2014 and my Ram is still proving why I have nothing but Dodge trucks for the last 20 years. Every truck has it habitual problems (Chevy trans), Ford rear ends blown, Toyota body and frame rusting early. But if you own a truck and your dealer cant fix it, you need a new dealer!!

Purchased this truck new in November 2018. Brought it into dealer for their recall V06 possible loss of steering control. 7040 miles on it. Dealership performed factory mandated correction of welding the jam nuts in place on the draglink assembly. When I requested the drag link components be replaced with whatever the new trucks coming off the line have, they said their hands were tied by the factory to just weld the adjustment solid. This makes it necessary to grind off the welds for any adjustment in the future, and then re-weld them. This is not acceptable to me.No one with Chrysler will say how many times this potential cut the welds and re-weld process could be done. No one at Chrysler seems to know if the new trucks coming off their line have the assembly jam nuts welded. No one at Chrysler seems to care about the fact that I now own this truck with a diminished value as a result of this band aid fix, that is no longer adjustable. It is not what I purchased when new and I think it should be repaired to Like New condition. I have been told that they are not doing anything further and I am just going to have to accept their fix. I feel I have exhausted any further action with the Ram case management division as they have indicated they have no one with any more authority to consider this problem. Told them I will not be buying any Chrysler products again and got the impression they really dont care.

I bought A Brand new 2012 Dodge 1500 Ram and had to take it back to the dealer to get a moisture problem fixed, drops of water dripping from the ceiling of the cab. Dealer saw the problem said they fixed it and if it comes back I would get a new truck. The problem was not fixed, there is excess moisture on the dash. Its covered in ice after parking it overnight in winter and they refuse to repair my defective truck or give me a new one. I have never had this problem with any other new vehicle and am being stuck with a defective non-properly sealed truck that I bought new and paid cash for.

We installed both a front and rear bumper replacement on a 2016 Dodge Ram. During the process we removed the sensors in the factory bumpers and reinstalled them in the aftermarket bumpers. The sensors failed to come back on so we sent it to the Dodge dealership for re-calibration. They discovered that six of the sensors had failed. The total bill will be just under $1000. How is it that these sensors are so sensitive that they cannot stand such a simple process as removal and re-installation? If these sensors are really this sensitive, they must be a faulty design and should be recalled.

This 2015 Ram makes the third new Ram for me. That being said the third was not the charm. My first was a 2006 Ram 2500 which was a good truck. A lot of recalls but all in all good truck traded with 50,000 miles. Second one was a 2011 3500 mega cab. Dual climate control was out when I drove it off the lot. 10 to 12 mpg which was bad. Third brake light and sun roof leaked, dash rattled 24/7 and 4wd would not work half the time. Really disappointed in that truck traded with 19,000 miles. So I bought my third truck which is the 2015 ram 2500. This truck is so weak Id rather pull with a 1500 and the transmission slips for the first 1/8 mile in morning. Truck now has 9000 miles. So in my opinion Im done with Ram trucks. As soon as I can trade this truck its gone. Take this review how you like. This is just my experience with Ram trucks.

On 03-31-2014 I purchased a Chrysler Group- 2014 North American Map update
On 03-31-2014 I purchased a Chrysler Group- 2014 North American Map update for Uconnect 430N (RHB) for my 2012 Dodge Ram. When I received the DVD disk update I place the disk in the radio as instructed to do so by the instructions that came with the update DVD. According to the instructions there was to be a screen prompt that provided a Unit ID and a validation code. The next step was to access a computer and go to garmin.com/auto-update/maps/activate. However, I was never able obtain the two items(unit ID and validation code) because the DVD disk fail to provide these two items and went directly into downloading the new maps. When the disk went into downloading the new maps, it deleted the old maps. It takes about two hours to download the new maps with the vehicle running. Since the DVD disk failed to prove the first two items (unit ID and Validation code) I was not able to access the unlock code in order to complete the download process. Now for the real problems; I am currently not able to use my GPS system in the truck, no map access. I called customer support at 1-800- 800-1020 who referred me to another custom service at 866-462-8837 to inquire about the problem with the DVD disk. The person I talked with did not have any knowledge about my GPS system in my vehicle. I must mention that the support center is a call center was not able to provide any remedy or suggestion concerning the DVD disk problem. All they recommended was to take it to a dealer. I took the vehicle to my dealer and they stated there was nothing wrong with the GPS system that it most likely a bad map update disk. So I called the support center (call center) back and advised them of what my dealer said (bad disk) and asked for disk replacement. The service center stated that I would have to send the DVD disk back to the manufacture (HERE, LLC) before anything could be done about a new Disk. So made next step was to send back the Disk and Hoping for a new disk so I could get my GPS working before vacation time. I sent the disk back on 04-10-2014 by certified mail (cost $8.68). On 05-09-2014, almost a month later I received a phone call from the producer of the map update disk (HERE, LLC) that they are going to refund the purchase price of the disk ($160.00) since they are not able to provided a new update DVD disk for my GPS.When I advised them that my GPS was not working since attempting to update my GPS with their DVD disk almost two months ago their only recommendation was to take back to the dealer. I order the map update from Chrysler Group in good faith but failed to get any real support from them or the Disk manufacturer. On checking their website that offered the map updates I found that the product for GPS update was temporarily out of stock. Apparently the manufacture (HERE, LLC ) realized a problem with the Map update disc. Now Im still without use of my $60,000.00 Dodge Ram Uconnect 430N navigation system because of a company Chrysler uses to produce map updates for their vehicles. I believe that HERE, LLC should have made an effort to insure that what they produce for consumers are flawless and without error when they want people to buy their product. In this case HERE, LLC has not made any effort to contact consumers and correct their problem with the map update Disk. Very unhappy with Chrysler and customer service.

Best 3/4 ton truck on the market in my opinion. Power is great, mileage OK and quality fantastic. The amount of purchase could be better, but for what is out there, not a better truck out there. I would stay away from the 1/2 ton though, as my experience shows the fuel mileage sucks and the Hemi has been plagued with problems.

Ive owned 5 Dodge Ram... 3 3500 hundred. And 2 1500 hundreds - the first one went through brake shoes every 7000 miles... Dodge would never admit there was a problem. My current Dodge Ram 3500 is a 2013 Laramie. I had 7 recalls on it. The last recall they dont even have a part for. I drive 80 miles round trip to have this taken care of. Thats money out of my pocket for their screw up... I will never buy another one.

Jan. 2017 have ignition switch go bad. Was changed 4 times on 2015 Ram 1500. Talked to a dozen reps. They dont know what to do cause ignition switch is a sealed unit and they dont know what else to do. Called again 08-14-1017 and awaiting another call back that 9 out 10 times they dont know. I received a recall on the airbag. Guess they cant get that right either. If they think I am going away theyre in for a surprise. If it were in another state other than Louisiana I could use the lemon law.

At 35000 km, my Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins developed a coolant leak. Its so serious that it was towed the dealership. As it turned out, one of the 2 bolts that hold the pump in place had come right out. Now, it gets good! I was told that they have to order this bolt. One bolt, what could be special about this bolt that it could not be found anywhere but at a MOPAR warehouse? While my truck was in the shop, I asked that they look at the recall, front end, and tie rod. As it turned out again, I need new tie rod ends. They have to be ordered. I was told they would be ordered with the bolt. The next day, the bolt was in and installed; the tie rod parts were not shipped. First, Im told by the service manager that they were not aware that one was needed when in fact I was told the day before. Then I was told that there is a limit to how many tie rods they are allowed to order per week! Really?

Transmission stopped shifting into 5 & 6 gears. Went from driving fine one day, to not shifting the next. No pieces of anything in pan when put on new valve body. Diagnostics keep saying new tranny. Not sure if its related, but the dashboard indicator lights quit working after I had a new electric brake installed. Sometimes they flicker and go out, other times they are just gone. Sometimes they work fine for weeks and others they work for a couple minutes and only work again after I pull off the negative battery cables. The lights and turn signals all work, they just dont show it. And that electric brake is no longer working either.

2010 Dodge Ram - My truck makes a squeaky noise from the motor, and Im told its normal; some do it and some dont. It starts when it warms up after about 1-2 minutes and continues while idling. I have one more garage to check on it, but the dealer it was purchased from says its normal. I find this hard to believe. I am hoping for a solution. I have 4 friends with the same truck, same year and no noise. I feel as though Im not being told the truth.

My engine on my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 Ecodiesel 3.0L seized at 14K miles... Towed to Dodge in Yuba City, Ca. They charged me $1200 plus, to tell me that is my fault and water went into the engine by opening the pan!!! No water went, they are full of it... I am getting the second opinion at the Machine shop. I spoke to the owner, and he will give me the exact cause by opening the engine apart.

Driving a Dodge Ram 1500 would have gave it 5 Stars till the night if October 15, 2019. We hit a deer head on at about 90kph. The impact caused the truck excelled to high RPMS and took the brakes out and the knob gear shift Would not function. Heading down to a bridge under construction One lane. We knew we had to hit the ditch in pitch dark or be dead. Because of our speed we only caught the corner of the approach we spotted then a ditch. Miraculously we came out of it with just a fractured vertebrae. THIS TRUCK HAS SERIOUS DEFECTS BUT NO ONE WANTS TO OWN UP TO IT. Insurance company would like to fix truck and send us on our merry way. Transport Canada wants an investigation but now I’m told they took it to our nearest dealer and the mechanic deleted some codes that are important for the black box to be analyzed. I will never drive another Dodge. This was the scariest experience any driver could ever have. But we have lived to tell the story. I can only imagine how many are dead and can’t tell the story.

2004 Dodge Ram has been a good truck. Having some troubles now that it is over 150,000 miles but I have had limited work done. We love having all the space when we go to sporting events or travel out of town. We can also put our luggage on the back of the truck. And our dog loves riding on the back. However, its not a 4 wheel drive. We like to go fishing and when its muddy we cant go due to the fact we might get stuck.

I have had the DEF pump replaced twice & an injector replaced once on my 2015 Ram 1500 and the problem is back again. Getting the message that it will not restart in 30 miles if I don’t take it to the dealer and have the DEF system fixed. Absolutely ridiculous. RAM needs to have a recall on their DEF system & fix it.

I purchased a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 in 08. When I went to hook up an RV which had been changed from bumper to bed because it was a 5th wheel, my right tail signal light quit working. I had wiring checked, bulbs and all checked out ok. I took to shop and found that fuse box had shorted out computer. So instead of blowing the fuse it shorted everything out, it was replaced and all worked well. Well, last summer my air conditioner went out. Again instead of just blowing fuse the computer shorted out again. Same shop, same story. I replaced it and all worked well. Now last week my air conditioner failed to cool, it is in the shop and Im hoping the fuse box has not shorted out again. The dealer told me it was a wire harness problem the first time I didnt hear from them the second time. Just wondering if this is a common problem. Paying 600 dollars for a new board is not my idea of a good product. Can someone help me?

I have been a Dodge person for 50 years with both cars and trucks. I brought a 2012 Ram 2500 4wd diesel thinking it would compare to my 97 ram 3500, but it has not. From the start I started having problems and the truck has left me on the side of the road more than once. It start with front drive shaft going out. Manual says to grease the u-joints but the shaft has no inserices to put grease in, this was $500.00 dollars to fix. Next the transmission went out. This was 2.300.00 dollars. Next the front headlights stop working, this was $150.00. Now the hydro-brake-booster has gone out, the bolts that hold brake fluid to the booster (which two) both broke in middle of the bolts. This separated booster letting fluid out losing all brakes. I am still waiting on the part because it was a special order, and the air-conditioner valves in desk is starting to give problems.

When we purchased our 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 it was during the promotion for the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. The stipulation was that it has to be taken to the dealer every 5 years for a check up or the warranty is voided. We took it in December 2012 and again in August 2018. We felt that since December 2018 is 6 years that we still had the warranty. We were informed by Dodge that they do not have to notify us of either an impending expiration or that we needed to return for the 5 year check up. Since it hasnt been a full 6 years after we were hoping to get the warrant reinstated, at the dealers direction. We are having a terrible time getting a resolution from anyone at Dodge. We have purchased a total of 5 vehicles from Chrysler over the last 12 years and were hoping they would consider a long time customer.
