2014 RAM dually diesel brand new and Ive had nothing but problem. Tires all wear out faster than theyre supposed to, computers been flashed at least 12 times, transmission went into limp mode at 155000.1 exacexac because the computer went out of the transmission. The dealership wrecked my truck into the garage door and I am still fighting with them. Im trying to get that paid for after they depreciated the value of my truck that they just wanted to put body filler in it and paint it. I had to pay my insurance company to fix it, and Laporte Chrysler in Indiana is refusing to give up their insurance information. Ongoing situation of nothing but problems and the runaround and lied to and cheated. Ongoing situation of nothing but problems and has been the biggest nightmare I have ever encountered dealing with the dealership and Chrysler in general. So disappointed, has been the biggest nightmare I have ever encountered dealing with the dealership. I would love to find a lawyer that I could sue Chrysler for all the problem that I have. I had to pay my insurance company a 1200 dollar deductible and lost out on $14,000 and work because my commercial vehicle had to be repaired and I couldnt use it to work. I thought I was buying a new truck so I wouldnt be stranded on the side of the road but this truck has done nothing but left me on the side of the road.

Bought a Ram 4500. Had 6 weeks then dealership had for 6 weeks due to a faulty fuel tank. Customer service at Ram headquarters agreed to send me a goodwill gesture then revoked the offer. Truck was bought for Hotshot business. Lost over twenty thousand and then they kicked me again by revoking the goodwill gesture. Sorry people.

I have 2019 Dodge Ram lease, I’m very satisfied with the vehicle EXCEPT for the touch screen which is so attention distracting that I believe it poses a hazard for drivers. I find myself having to pull off the side of the road to operate features because the system is so complex it’s a distraction. The US Navy is getting rid of touch screens because they feel they are a danger and blame them for two recent vessel collisions. This kind of technology is highly overrated and make the vehicles less safe to drive. Knobs and buttons are easier to to navigate and safer to use. More tech is not always a better idea.

I have a 2019 Dodge Ram 3500 for 5 months now. I also use my truck for work and had a incident in Pennsylvania. I was told parts will be in 2-3 business days! Then 5 days later I was told parts are on back order up to January. I cannot work due to no parts to replace...Brand New Truck and no parts for it!! Also, I have a Case Manager and she said she has a Expedited Team looking into it. Now, it has been 13 days and still need the same 3 parts. There is no guarantee on any parts. Ive asked for a replacement truck and still no answer!!!! But I cannot make a vehicle payment now due to no replacement parts or vehicle for work.. Next it will be I Cant Pay My Bills.. They still expect me to make a car payment though... This is not good customer service!

I feel it is necessary to write you about the problems I have faced with my truck and your company. On September 12, 2014 purchased 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 from Dallas Dodge Chrysler Jeep (11550 LBJ FREEWAY, DALLAS, TEXAS 75238) VIN # **. On the purchase date, radio and navigation do not work correctly. I was told by the salesman to take it by my local Dodge dealer (McMullan Motors) to have it checked as it is still under warranty. The first time I take it in, after waiting for a couple of hours, I was informed the radio technician was not there and I would have to bring it back in. I work about 300 miles from my home so I informed them I would have to set up another time to drop it off. I could not leave it and do not own another vehicle. I was also not offered a courtesy vehicle or rental car. In the meantime, I noticed several other things not working correctly so I made a list to get everything checked upon my return. On December 15, 2014 I bring my truck in to be serviced for the following problems: navigation/compass/radio not working, headlights fogging up, vibration felt while driving down the road. Of these 3 problems, only one was fixed even though I was assured by the service department my truck was fixed and I was good to go. On December 23, 2014 I was shopping and when I returned after a rain, my truck had approximately 3 of water inside the cab. I immediately called the McMullan Motors and they explained to me someone else had called with the same problem. I was told if I took it somewhere to have it fixed, other than a Dodge dealership, that would void the warranty. I then made another appointment to drop my truck off, leave it and pick up later. On January 5, 2015 I took truck in for leaking back glass. I am called and good to go. On February 12, 2015 check engine light comes on. I make another appointment. On February 13, 2015 I take truck in for check engine light, fuel sensor vibration. I explain to the service dept. I am still feeling the vibration and was assured they did not feel anything and I should bring it back in for another look. On May 4, 2015 take truck back in for vibration/rotate and balance tires. This time, they rotate and balance my tires. I pick truck back up and yet again I am told that I am good to go. I call them back later that day and tell them I still feel it. I was informed I should bring it back in for another look. During the month of July, my back glass leaks again after a rain. I take it to another dealership to have it repaired. I also explained the vibration to them. I cannot leave it that day and asked to bring it back the next week. This time I leave the truck for 5 days!!!On July 22, 2015 take truck back in for leaking back glass, vibration felt while driving. I go back to pick truck up and I was told that my vehicle warranty was up and my extended Gold Plus warranty (I paid an extra $1500.00 dollars for this) had a 100.00 dollar deductible which I was responsible for. When I explained I had already paid for this once, I should not be responsible for paying for something that was already fixed once by Dodge, the service manager told me to call the dealership and ask them about it. I asked about the vibration and the manager informed me that Ram is notorious for putting bad tires on trucks. The tires are probably the cause of the vibration and I should contact Goodyear to discuss it with them since Dodge is not responsible for tires!!! So, I call McMullan Motors about the back glass issue. I was told by the service department and I quote, Sir we get ** parts all the time! Sometimes we get ** parts right out of the box!!! How sad is it that your own employee tells me this!!! Mr. Hegbloom this is my complaint: I drive to Dallas to purchase my dream truck! I get these responses from your own employees!!! Good to go. Ram has gotten so bad, Dodge separated themselves from the Ram name. Dont know why its vibrating - couldnt feel anything- bad tires, ** parts. Not once has anyone apologized and tried to actually fix my truck. It seems that passing the buck on has become quite the norm. I know this letter is lengthy and for that, I apologize. There are many truck companies I can choose from. I can buy any truck I so desire, some for less money. I have been a loyal Dodge customer for many years and feel that I am owed some loyalty in return. I am truly disturbed by the inept actions of your employees. I saved up my money and had the choice of any truck on the market. I hope that you can restore my faith in your company. As of today, here is a recap of problems I am still having with my truck: engine noise vibration around 40 mph or 1100 rpm, vibration in truck suspension while driving normal speed, transmission is slipping when accelerator is pressed, transmission shifts hard in and out of gears, tires are severely worn at less than 40,000 miles, overall performance of truck is poor, radio still does not work correctly, USB port does not work.

The 2005 Ram1500 was purchased new from Spitzer Dodge in Homestead, FL. I noticed when I was waxing it last month, the paint on the drivers door is starting to bubble from internal rust. I wrote and spoke to Dodge. They said they couldnt help me because it was outside the time warranty (5yrs) and referred me to the dealer. The dealer couldnt help me, even though the service manager (Mr. **) agreed it shouldnt be rusting and bubbling. It may be over the time warranty but it only has 58,000 original miles and not a mark on it. No body damage at all. Please warn people that Dodge has not remedied their paint problem from the past and they wont stand behind their product. I am stuck with a $700.00 estimate for a repair that is clearly a factory defect.

My wife and I have purchased a 2016 Ram 1500 8 speed with the 5.7 Hemi with 0 miles on it. I loved the truck because it is my first truck. However, with only a little over 3000 miles on it I started to experience the truck lunging forward when coming to a stop between 1st and 2nd gears. I took it in 2 times for this and they just reprogrammed the TCM (trans control module). The third visit the truck was at the dealer for a week and a half and they replaced the valve body and TCM sensor.Last night 8/28/17 while driving through the main streets the truck died on me and the dash lights were flashing. I had no brakes, power steering, or transmission control over the truck. I am very lucky that I was not on the highway when this happened. I had the tow truck take it to the dealer and the diagnostics had over 10 fault codes... now thats pretty scary. I have since obtained a lawyer and we are pursuing lemon law here in California. Sadly my trust in the Mopar brand is broken and will never purchase another Dodge product again.

I just bought a new 2016 RAM 1500 Limited, just shy of $60,000. The truck is really a luxurious, roomy, and very comfortable ride all-around. In fact, this is my second RAM as I traded a 2012 Dodge RAM 1500 Big Horn. Today marks one month of ownership and I have only put 225 miles on the truck since taking delivery.Upon getting my new RAM home I started to notice several issues with both exterior and interior finishes that are result of sloppy handling of materials during manufacturing. In addition, my exhaust system was loose and the right rear tailpipe was loose enough to fall off. I notified my dealer and took it in for review of all issues noted. The dealer will be replacing a dash bezel and the leather covered console armrest to remove damaged materials. Then my dealer reviewed the bubble-like fish eye in the paint on the hood. What was so shocking he walked around the truck and pointed out numerous defects in the finish of the paint that I had not found on my own. The more he looked, the more defects he found. It reached a point where I felt really bad about my new truck and really sick about the price I paid for it! The dealer has opened a case on my truck which isnt entirely clear to me what that means.I get home from my visit to my dealer and decide to call RAM customer service to relate all of this and learned something that was not disclosed to me at the point of sale. I was so excited to finally own a vehicle that would give me the ability to navigate Pandora on a big dash screen. Over the past month I have about gone crazy trying to get Pandora to load to the UConnect system only to learn from a rep at RAM customer service that there is no way to make it work as intended due to the loss of a third party technology relationship that is necessary to bring Pandora and UConnect together. What a disappointment!I was told that a notice went out to dealers earlier this year regarding the Pandora issue. However, no one informed me, the consumer, that this luxury feature will never work through the UConnect system. This may have given me pause to move ahead with the purchase. At nearly $60,000, I should not be writing such a negative review of my new truck. All I can do is hope that RAM steps up and backs the product and goes the distance to give me some sense of customer satisfaction. That part remains to be seen.

My 2006 2500 diesel with the 48RE tranny just didnt do the job. I have three valve bodies replaced in less than 75K miles. Also that little vent that shifted the heater and ac broke. Over $500 to repair. I paid for the first repair. Then it happened again. FCA was kind enough to fix again. I guess they finally got a fix that was not crapping out and fixed right.2014 3500 diesel SRW was a great truck. Towed my 40 toy hauler from Virginia to Cali. However, I did lose a water pump in Arizona. Would you believe no pump, belt or other parts that got jacked up when best broke lose, 36K miles, were not available in the ENTIRE state of Arizona? Wow. 2017 3500 dually diesel Aisin is a beast. No issues so far 21K miles. However, the Nexen tires have been replaced. Tire separation in less than 20K miles. Why does Ram put crap tires on a truck that cost up to 90K? Installed Bridgestones. Lets see how they hold up. Changed radio to Kenwood. Android Auto works perfect in this aftermarket radio. It also works perfect in my 2018 A4. Android Auto is a great app to use in any vehicle. Learn how to use it to drive safely.

My 2018 Ram Power Wagon has 56,000 miles already, and has not had any issues. While I have driven all Japanese in the past, Jeep and Ram are paying attention to the real customers and making far more interesting products. This makes it hard to compromise and buy a lesser vehicle. Having the most off road capable full size truck in the world is fantastic. The lsd rear diff is perfect for roads. Lock both diffs and disconnect sway bar and good luck getting stuck. The winch, way more handy then you think. The de-rated towing capacity is absurd, and it will squat less and handle more than most heavy duty trucks. The interior, and the small details the Japanese used to think about round out these trucks. Keep up the good work, and keep improving reliability and I will be back for another Power Wagon and a Gladiator to replace our Four Runner.

I bought a Dodge Ram 2500 4 by 4 Cummins diesel 2015 model at Carl Gregory
I bought a Dodge Ram 2500 4 by 4 Cummins diesel 2015 model at Carl Gregory of Savannah Ga. I was told they would have my side steps black wheel to wheel for my truck that Friday. They put me off 5 different dates over a 3 week period to end up telling me they couldnt even get them (cost figured in price of truck). I ending up telling them to get them from OReillys auto parts or either Pep Boys and I gave them the part number to both, only to find out later that Mopar does carry the black wheel to wheel Mega Cab side steps. Now after owning it for six weeks my tire pressure sensors have gone out. It is now been the shop four times for a total of over 10 days and has yet to be repaired. The last time Carl Gregory had my truck, they had it for 6 days and did not do anything. They had told me it needed a module but after 6 days still do not have it put in. Now I have taken it to a new dealer to see if they can fix it. It has been there one day and they have ordered a sensor to see if they can fix it when there are 4 sensors that are not working. This is my first Dodge and probably my last. I have filed a complaint with Chrysler Corporation customer service....and my back Friday.

I purchased new two 3500 Diesel. One 2004 the other 2007. They both have had major issues with the front end. The infamous Death Wobble on both trucks began occurring around 40K. The 2007 was my wifes until it started the wobble. The drag link in the 07 broke clean on two different occasions. The first time was the night of my first childs wedding night. Went to back the truck up so we could load gifts and heard a loud Bang. The drag link sheared at the threads. I purchased a new link from NAPA and paid for their most heavy duty, lifetime warranty. Took the truck to an alignment shop and had it aligned and inspected (Ball joints, u-joints, etc.). A month later while driving at 80 mph on the Interstate I crossed over a bridge with a slight bump and the truck began wobbling and then bang!!. Wobbling stopped but I knew what had happened and coasted to the emergency lane applying the emergency (rear) brakes. When the truck was almost at a stop I pressed on the front brakes and the truck skidded. I got out and the driver side wheel was 90 degrees pointing out. The irony is I was on my way to a local dealer for a recall on the front ball joint. I had the truck towed to the dealer. They inspected the Ball Joint, said it was fine and then gave me a 6 line item list on what was wrong and needed to be fixed. $5500.00 estimate. I told the service writer to leave the truck alone and I would have it towed to a service facility that I trust. I replaced the Drag Link again, took the pile of ** to have it aligned again. The alignment owner told me to replace the front stabilizer shock and use Monroe brand instead of the Super Heavy Duty rock-n roll brands. They had had the best luck with Monroe. For the next three years I could only drive safely at top speed of 60 mph if I wanted to avoid the Death Wobble and possibly break another link. I will not let anyone else drive the thing for their safety. I put a more heavy duty tracking bar and an aftermarket stabilizer bracket on it. Still could only go 60 mph and feel safe. A few months ago I replaced the front hub assemblies and U-Joints.By doing so the truck feels like it did when I purchased it new. Now I can go 80 mph plus and feel safe. Regarding the 04, the front stabilizer tie rod broke and the truck doesnt Death Wobble any longer. Im tempted to leave the thing broken. Once a Dodge... Always a Dodge. Ill never buy Dodge again. Most DANGEROUS vehicles Ive ever owned!!! Im thinking the new Nissan with Cummins and Allison Tranny looks Real Good.

On 7/15/13, I purchased a Dodge Ram truck from Smolich Motors in Bend. I love the Truck but the finance officer wasnt clear and didnt explain all the extra cost he added on to our deal. After examining the paperwork within a month later, I decided to cancel the extended warranty and the service that I was told was free. I then decided to go through my credit union for the finance but they had to wait for the extended warranty to go through the other bank and be refunded first. 90 days later they finally refunded the $2,200. Then the service contract I was told would come directly to me and wouldnt have to go through the bank sense it was through the dealership and it would only take two to three weeks. Well that was back in October and now we are in to December and I still dont have the refund for the service which I never wanted and never used. The last time I checked they told me it had to go through the bank and the bank would send it back to me. I checked with the Bank and they had not received it. So now we have my money in limbo somewhere and nobody will do anything about it. ** at the dealership has treated me like He doesnt have the time for me and Im unimportant. His excuse for all the mix up was the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. I found him rude and very unprofessional. I dont enjoy being treated with disrespect. I will never deal with that dealership again. Just would like to get the refund they owe me.

Ram trucks look good and the 5.7 motor is very strong but transmission is junk along with their wiring harness. I switched from Chevy to ram just because the price for the ram truck was about ten thousand cheaper. That was my mistake and now Im paying for it. I was driving my 2013 Ram 2500 with under 10,000 miles and it shut down to what seemed like one cylinder running, with an awful knocking noise. Was towed to the dealer. Ended up having a broken valve spring, 2 bent pushrods, and 2 lifters had to be changed. Rather than change the engine, they said there was no internal engine damage and would fix it. With the noise it made Im shocked theres no other internal damage. They fixed it and sent me on my way.A month later I change the oil and it was full of metal flakes. I guess when they diagnose for internal damage they do not look at the oil. I cant understand that. I called about the issue and they said I should not be doing my own maintenance and theres no proof that there was any metal in the oil because I changed it. How else would I have found this out? They have no idea where the metal could have came from but theres enough to make golf ball sized ball. Told me I was covered by the engine warranty and they would do nothing further to the truck and still deny theres internal engine damage. So I will continue to drive it circulating metal. They didnt even want it back to flush it out.A month later the check engine light is on so I have the code read with a reader at Auto Zone. Theres something wrong with the oil pump. Instead of replacing the engine they are going to keep making me bring it back, an hour away, to keep repairing it until the warranty is over. This engine should have been replaced, not band-aided. My $46,000 truck has rebuilt engine, more internal damage that they will not acknowledge, and only has 11,000 miles on it. Chrysler does not stand by their products and has no interest in making it right. Just wanted to warn others about what happens with Chrysler products when theres an issue.

This is my third Ram, 2006, 2012 and now 2016. This is by far the worst truck I have ever owned, and the worst dealer service experience! The dealer was in too much of a hurry to put me in a truck, they failed to hear my needs and wants, from the get go with a salesperson who was actually a corporate rep, visiting the dealership this day. He did not listen to my towing needs, and everything he promised me for free (thrown in) was just added to my bill of sale, and my application was for 0% down, 0% financing - and in the end was 3.49%, which was not communicated to me at all.So, first I did not end with a hitch receiver, towing mirrors, or brake module - I had to buy a receiver for $300 and a brake module for $500 plus $90 to program it. I was forced to buy this, as the dealer would not help me and I had to move my trailer promptly. Second the rep promised me the truck could tow my trailers and handle the capacities. The truck falls short by 3000 lbs. because the 8 speed trans. and 3:21 rear gear combo are ** - something the rep failed to even look at and confirm capacities - and assured me that this truck could handle my towing needs. NOT!The truck: the front end is loose - rattles over tracks and bumps, shakes violently on highway (death wobble close) - tires have been balance three times, steering column shakes and rattles, transmission growls, shudders, clunks (when putting into gear or decelerating), vibrates on highway. Rear end clunks, tow haul button doesnt work, gas gauge glitches, headlight out of aim, antenna loose, leather seat clips came off, door weather strip fell off, hood is not aligned with fender, led lights fell out of back seat. When towing my 3500 lb. trailer in tow haul mode the trans. feels like it wants to explode (loud growling and vibration) at any speed. This experience may be only from my particular truck and dealer but I feel it warrants this submission!

I own 2 - 2015 Dodge Rams and 1 - 2016 Dodge Ram. 2 are 3500s. ALL 3 have premature front end tire wearing. Im talking less than 20k miles. On top of it all, the local dealership I purchased from said they dont know how to rotate the tires on the 3500s. Im at a loss that a service department can be so stupid!!! Plus, I get blue puffs out of exhaust with the 3500s when they start each morning. Also, the one 3500 has serious shifting issues. Trucks have been in 3 times each. Each time its been an absolute cluster and I have to physically remove my husband from the property or he was gonna lose it on these people. My father is the Fleet Manager at the dealership so I have to handle myself in a dignified manner but the dealership is blowing smoke up my skirt. I finally sent an email to corporate and NOW they sent a big wig down here and they are going to assess it. We all know how thats gonna turn out. Bottom line, no vehicle should have worn tires before 20k miles - ON ALL 3!!! Anyone else having this issue?

I purchased a new Ram 1500 from Buckeye Chrysler in Shelby, Ohio and Ive had to make 4 trips so far in a month because of problems. They tore out the transmission and replaced the torque converter and flex plate because of a rattling sound and it still isnt fixed and now it has paint peeling and bubbling on the driver’s door which they took pictures and said they have to get approval before fixing when clearly its Chryslers fault. Steer clear of the 2015 Ram, this was my first and last Chrysler product and I contacted Chrysler for them to buy back the truck.

From day 1 when I drove off the lot I called dealer and said brakes are squeaking and grinding. They said too bad get new brakes, lol. Yep seriously brand new van. So I have taken it for a weekly oil change for 2 months and said brakes are bad and have been told no it is my imagination. So now that the warranty is out they say I need to pay them 500 for new brakes. They are worn to metal on 2 month old van. The coolant leaks. There is a hole in the floor of the van, a mid-weld, the headliner does not meet pastis and is frayed, one recall cant be fixed. No parts and dont know when they will have them. The leaf spring bushings are bad and the van squeaks going down road. So 2 issues are dangerous safety issues. Chrysler will not fix anything. I had a 10 year old Sprinter that I should have kept. This is complete junk and Ram Chrysler has zero customer care. Do not buy one, this may put me out of business. The pic is the hole in floor. Notice you can see the ground outside

In May my engine light came on. Now in November after 12k miles and 25 actual documented trips to service we still have same issue with Def system problems. Dealership, dodge and Cummings are all involved. Its going in again next week to install a device to monitor the truck from another location as well as a new pump and another sensor that has been replace multiple time. This is my everyday driver and being without a truck like this is not useful. In the 25 times I have been given a car once (had to be jumped 1/2 mile away to get back home) and a 1/2 ton old Chevy truck 3 times. Chrysler has given me a case manager and somehow my case was closed last week, I call inquiring why and they couldnt tell me but started a new one. Anyone else suspicious? 5 times so far the computer has threatened to shut down in 200 miles and instructs getting to dealership. So next week is 26 times in the shop since May with my everyday 5500 work truck with a dump landscape box, tool boxes, snow plow and computer stand installed in truck. I wish I could take away everyone elses computer until this truck is fixed.

My husband bought this hunk of junk about a week ago & it is the most uncomfortable, ugliest, worst made vehicle I have ever been in. Including being a teenager with old used bombs. It has already been stuck in park, handles horribly, & my back has not stopped hurting since I got in it. I drove it a couple of hours, have been out of it 6 hrs & still in pain. No lumbar support, power seats, heated seats, not even a CD player. Cheap plastic interior & cloth seats that don’t clean. No insulation you can hear every other vehicle motor on the road, & its transmission sounds like an ambulance whining. It needs to go over a cliff. No amenities at all just a big bright screen for the radio which gives you a headache. Needless to say it sounds terrible. Not worth $400. Will get rid of it right away.

2012 dodge Ram 3500 - I had problems with the rear end at 66,000 miles. Took to my dealer. They refused warranty due to water damage in the rear end. The truck was only about 9 months old (yes, I drive a lot). They wanted $5,500. I did it for $2,800. One month later, I checked the fluid. It had water in it again. I added 1 foot of hose to the axle vent and ran it over the frame and pointed it at the ground. No more problems the way Dodge had it, any water ran into the axle. BAD DESIGN.

I purchased a new 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab as I needed a bigger cabin for the family. I traded in my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab (which also had this issue and I purchased new). With the truck only being only 5 months old from delivery and with it only having a few over 6,000 miles I noticed that the back seat area of the truck was soaked and water logged. After inspection I realized that the truck was leaking water into the cabin from the outside along with evidence of rusting in the area along with other metal parts inside the cabin of the truck not adjacent to that area.I reported it to Ram customer service in Twitter as well as to the dealer. Their response was to bring the vehicle back next Monday when the water leak guy would be there... (This was a Wednesday.) I was also told that this was only a minor inconvenience and not a big deal as well as I was advised to turn the heater on in the vehicle and let it run under the sun. On Friday I decided I was not going to wait until Friday and I brought the truck to the dealer. The service agent essentially told me they would do a clean up, let it dry, fix the leak and get it back to me in no time! I did not accept this and I escalated to Ram customer service and was took that they would be replacing the headliner, the backseat, the carpet, underlining and all rusted parts!I received my truck today (25 days after it was dropped off at the dealer) and the dealer told me the back window had been re-sealed as this was leaky, the third tail light had been rescaled as this was also leaky, that a new seat had been installed, a new headliner has been installed, the carpeting had been replaced and all rusted parts had been replaced. They said they inspected it and it looked good! They also delivered the truck to me filthy as it could be (outside) - spider webs and grime everywhere.I arrived home and inspected the vehicle closer, the back seat was not replaced (although they said so and the paperwork they gave says so, there is wear and tear on the truck from the car seat latches which were there before I brought the truck in and there is still rust on the frame of the seat). There is rust in many places in the truck (caused by evaporation and condensation taking place inside the truck since the truck left the manufacturing line). So I cannot trust that anything else they have said and have formally communicated on paper is true... I have continuously asked Ram customer service to repurchase or replace the vehicle because it is compromised. I bought a defective vehicle for the second time. I have been deceived and lied to and I am still stuck in a truck which was damaged and defective at the time of purchase unbeknownst to me.

The newer trucks are made very cheaply you end up with lots of problems unless you get an extended warranty when you first purchase a vehicle. A ton of recalls. Overall my Dodge Ram is not equipped to handle a great deal of payload compared to other pickup truck. In order to get this repaired it takes a lot of money and its very difficult to get anyone to work on them unless its the dealership and theyre very expensive. A change of oil on this pickup truck cost you $56 at a dealership and thats in Sumter South Carolina versus $26 for a Chevy truck and $32 for a Ford.

2008 Dodge Ram 3500 with a severe front-end wobble. I purchased this vehicle used from a Chevy dealership with 46000 miles on it. At 50000 miles I had a violent wobble that started at the right side of the vehicle, spreading to the left, then moved to the back of vehicle. This wobble shook all in the cab of the truck. I returned the vehicle to the dealership where it was purchased in April 2011. There was no problem found with the front of the vehicle, so the dealership contacted a local Chrysler dealership that had no knowledge of known front end problems but suggested it could be caused by a worn tire. This dealer rotated the tires, balanced, and did a front-end alignment, which was covered by an extended warranty I had purchased; yet no failed components were found. This death wobble (as shown on the net) continued and at the present time it is at a Chrysler dealership. I have been contacted by the business stating they found no failed components, so the insurance will not cover any repairs; but the dealership feels it is the steering box linkage, which can be replaced at one thousand dollars (my cost) without a guarantee that it will fix the problem. Chrysler has known about the problem for years and has not come up with a solution to a poor design and will not assist in any repairs. The problem is covered in issue #74 of the TDR (Turbo Diesel Resource) where it talks about possible repairs and after-market business, such a Genos Garage, where they are marketing a BD steering box stabilizer which they state “will eliminate the wobble.” I checked with the NTSB for complaints, only to be advised there have been no deaths reported caused by this wobble. I want consumers to use caution when purchasing a used vehicle 2500 or 3500 Dodge Ram, but I also know that all vehicles does not have the problem or just not reported.

2010 Dodge 3500 Laramie - Since purchased new, my truck has had an issue with a very hard downshift from the fourth to the third gear. I took it back to Chris Nickels dealership and to the dealership in Pryor, OK, but neither would drive the truck to duplicate the problem. South Pointe Dodge in Tulsa, OK finally took the truck in and drove it and duplicated the problem that I had been complaining about since the purchase. To the credit of South Pointe, they have tried several times to find the problem, but they cannot figure it out. I was recently told by South Pointe that there is nothing else they can do until something catastrophic happens. This truck on a regular basis downshifts so hard that it feels like you have been struck from behind by another vehicle. On wet roads, this truck’s rear-end will break loose as this hard downshift occurs. I have been more than patient and have put myself and my family at risk for 88,000 miles now. My patience is depleted as I will be expecting and will certainly appreciate your attention to this matter as soon as possible.

Then the Ram rep called the rail yard where the truck is and was told they were not releasing the truck!! WHY? Nobody knows. I asked for a list of dealers that had a similar equipped truck and was told to go to my dealer they should have one!!! They dont. Thats why we ordered one. I give up. I told the dealer to get me a delivery date, have not heard anything. RAM yep.

I purchased my 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 truck in 2013 and initially didnt have any issues. The first issue happened in June of this year. After having towed nothing the first 2 years, I purchased a 44 RV. After the second tow, a trip to Louisiana, the engine began to bog down on me and lose power. I took it in to the dealer to get it checked out and they hit me with a $2,000 estimate for repairs. Said the EGR valve was bad ($799 for part) and needed to be replaced. They also said a front ABS wheel sensor was bad and needed to be replaced as well. Guess what, my warranty didnt cover one cent of the repairs. They said this wasnt covered in the warranty. Go Figure! Well now I have a bad taste in my mouth for having to dish out so much money. Ive always wanted to own a dually and found that the Dodge was more affordable to me. Anyway, I chalked it up as a loss and moved on. That is, until now that I have gotten a Perform Service Soon light on my dash. After consulting my owners manual, it says I need to take it in to get emissions maintenance performed. Emissions/EGR Valve....Do you see where Im going with this? So I call the dealer and ask for cost. For starters, it will cost me $110/hr. to just check out the problem. Ive owned several Nissan vehicles and let me tell you, it never costs me a cent for them to troubleshoot any problems that I have. Also, I have never paid over $200 for any issue with them. They cover almost everything and better yet their vehicles rarely break down. At least the ones I have owned havent, thanks to God! Anyway, I think I am about to trade my Dodge in for a Chevy or Ford. I wont be able to afford paying Dodge for all the high repair costs and maintain payments at the same time. I really wish Nissan would come out with a ton pick up!!

The truck is an excellent version this year. Lots of room and very comfortable. The interior is well designed and easy to operate the instrument panels. The handling of the Ram is a bit tough because of the rear of the truck being so light but Ive added weight by placing blocks in the bed and covering them easily as not to be seen. The price of the truck is a bit costly. With gas prices rising they should bring the price down. Otherwise the performance and durability are worth the money. I would recommend this truck to all. I had a great experience when I owned my Dodge Ram. The truck was very nice as far as inward and outward appearances, and it was sporty enough for a casual day, for a baseball cap and jeans, and classy enough for a Sunday afternoon tie and shirt day. The gas mileage was much better than I thought and the ride was extremely comfortable. There was plenty of leg space and the engine was as quiet as a mouse. While my truck was in the shop, I asked that they look at the recall, front end, and tie rod. As it turned out again, I need new tie rod ends. They have to be ordered. I was told they would be ordered with the bolt. The next day, the bolt was in and installed; the tie rod parts were not shipped. First, Im told by the service manager that they were not aware that one was needed when in fact I was told the day before. We are a small company that has purchased Dodge Ram 3500 diesels over the past 5-years. The most current two we purchased were in 2018 and they will be the last. We currently have 13 Dodge Ram vehicles with the oldest a 2014; which is our entire fleet. Between the 13-Dodges we now have 50-recalls. For us to decommission a vehicle for a couple of days so the recall can be completed requires a lot of work; costly for us. We must move our crews out of the truck, rent a truck, interrupt our workday, pay overtime, create problems for our client, deal with issues created with USDOT, and on and on which all relates to us losing revenue for our company. For a small business to have to go through this difficulty for 50-recalls; up to 50-times; let alone all the service problems and mechanical failures with these vehicles, they are extremely excessive and costly to us. We have completed 43 of the 50 recalls to date. Costs are mounting and the recalls keep coming; one at a time. What are they building at Chrysler? What inferior components are they using that creates these recalls and dissatisfied customers like us?We have called FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) to discuss and to talk with a supervisor but they are proving very difficult to get hold of. They have only returned one of my calls that was not able to be answered; the message was; that they simply say who they are but they leave no contact information. Calling back to the main number only gets us to the basic apologies and they will only take a message for the supervisor; they say that the supervisor has no direct contact number or email; we (ironically) wonder why. They say that the Supervisor will call back in 1-business day; that is not happening. In the past, we loved Dodge Ram; but not anymore. We are currently and actively searching for a new brand; NOT DODGE. We need to replace three trucks this year plus add one more to our fleet.

My 2009 Ram has lit like a Christmas tree so many times I lost count. Replaced many modules over the years and Im 100% confident that not one was defective. Drive in with the warning lights on and everything working after a dealership mechanic evaluation, then something mysteriously (without explanation) stopped working (like the 4wd for instance) and was told a module needed replaced. These trucks are electrically unsound and have faulty instrument panels that Dodge wont repair. Terrible engineering and dealer mechanic work. The alternator of this 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 has gone out, the clutch but other than that it has been very good. Its mainly just normal wear and tear, especially since its 13 years old. It was a 3500 dually 5.9L and had a gooseneck ball already in the back. Also, it must have been wrecked because the passenger door doesnt seat completely right so if its raining it does drip a little. Purchased this truck new in November 2018. Brought it into dealer for their recall V06 possible loss of steering control. 7040 miles on it. Dealership performed factory mandated correction of welding the jam nuts in place on the draglink assembly. When I requested the drag link components be replaced with whatever the new trucks coming off the line have, they said their hands were tied by the factory to just weld the adjustment solid. This makes it necessary to grind off the welds for any adjustment in the future, and then re-weld them. This is not acceptable to me.No one with Chrysler will say how many times this potential cut the welds and re-weld process could be done. No one at Chrysler seems to know if the new trucks coming off their line have the assembly jam nuts welded. No one at Chrysler seems to care about the fact that I now own this truck with a diminished value as a result of this band aid fix, that is no longer adjustable. It is not what I purchased when new and I think it should be repaired to Like New condition. I have been told that they are not doing anything further and I am just going to have to accept their fix. I feel I have exhausted any further action with the Ram case management division as they have indicated they have no one with any more authority to consider this problem. Told them I will not be buying any Chrysler products again and got the impression they really dont care.

Bought my RAM December 2013. First week had water on floors, leak. Bertarra ignored me, said it was winter. Started going to another dealership. They found third brake light leaking. At 30000 miles needed front brakes, still had over half of original pad left. Chrysler corp would not cover premature wear. Now 2000 miles later same problem. Very unhappy with truck. I go out of my way to tell even strangers about my experience. These are not the only issues either... Hemi is week, truck shifts constantly, when in four cylinder mode the truck shudders, wont hold a gear on hills, very poor quality interior... I could go on.

I was driving home on December 8, 2016 when I noticed smoke coming from the passenger side under the dash. Within seconds flames came through the fabric under the dash and hit the floor. I pulled over as fast and safely as possible. I grabbed what I could and got out. I went to the passenger side and attempted to put out the flames but I failed. I called 911 and within minutes the FD arrived on scene.I contacted Chrysler about the fire and they hired an investigator. He contacted me and I explained what I saw. 3 weeks later I got a letter in the mail saying it is not a manufacture defect. The thing that got me from the letter was We are sure you will appreciate, fire of this nature can and do occur for a number of reasons not associated with the manufacturing process. Then tell me how does a 2015 truck catch fire inside the cab while driving at 65 mph? Im not a smoker and the truck was all stock. I would not recommend anyone buy anything from Chrysler. They do not stand by their products.

My Ram stopped in the middle of road 3 times now. First time I took it to the dealer they replaced a cable. Second time they replaced the mpc because the water went in it. It has been raining but I cant even take it to a car wash. And now the third, the engine cut off. The dealer is telling me its the alternator and its not covered under warranty because it was muddy. The cost is approx $2000. Let me just say that when I bought the Ram for work, it was to be able to travel in a construction site. Even they advertise it going in mud, mountains etc. I am very disappointed of this truck. Seems that I wont be able to take to work anymore and leave it in the parking at home since it wont survive mud. Never going to buy a Dodge truck ever again. The 60,000$ truck is not made for construction people.

I bought my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 in 2006. If you dont beat it and keep up on the maintenance you will truck that runs forever. My truck has a 6.5 lift kit and 37.5 inch tires. The lift kits are popular for blowing out u-joints, not my Dodge. Everyone you know in the last 10 years that I owned my Dodge that owned a Ford or Chevy, has purchased 2 or 3 new trucks since, but me I still have Ram tough, with 170,000 miles on it. I guarantee I never had it leave me stranded, no issues other my wear and tear. Its normal for things to need replacing. I maintain my gem by replacing tires, air filter, changing fluids on time, repairing rust, cleaning injectors etc. If you neglect your responsibility and something fails it isnt Dodges fault. You bought a Dodge for a reason. A Dodge is the only truck I will trust. Its nice to watch Ford owners complain that the tranny failed under 20,000 miles in a new truck as I sit back happy I have a Dodge. If the company is at fault, they tell you, Thats we have such a thing called recalls! I have a marketing degree, and I will use my skills to promote Dodge! Oh have I forgot to mention my Dodge was previously used in the mountains of Utah, and the previous owner rolled it, and amazingly after the roll the truck landed on all 4 wheels and it still drove off the mountain, thats when it was rebuilt and customized and I purchased it when it was 3 yrs old. You would think Dodge Ram is built tough! You think I would have had issues since but I havent! So stop your insulting and blaming Dodge for your negligence. What you all have to say about this! Keep it up Dodge. You rock!!!

Purchased a used Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with Hemi 3 months ago...191,000 miles. Nice truck, had a mechanic look at it. The Spark Plug coil pack melted on Sunday. Replaced it along with a fuse. This morning (Thursday), same coil pack did the same thing. Anyone know of issues regarding this? Called Dodge, they told me no recalls. The Dodge Ram is supposed to be a superior truck, but Ive had it for 3 months and its been in the shop 4 times! I had a Honda Accord for 5 years that was in the shop only 4 times in 5 years. Help!

Bought new 2016 2500 cummins in august. Engine brake started to not engage when going down hill. And transmission was not shifting down. Dealer did update on the ecm flash. Now I have no engine brake and the transmission lets the truck freewheel unless you apply brakes. This shouldnt be this way. The Transmission should shift down and the engine brake should reduce the use of the brakes 30 to 40%. Is ram going to fix this problem.

On Oct 31 I was driving to work in my 2013 Ram 2500 Laramie, 58K truck. About 3/10 of a mile before my turn in, the transmission threw itself in 1st gear (from about 45MPH) and the truck completely stalled in the roadway. No gears, transmission would not engage, no power, no go. Had the truck towed to Moss Bros San Bernardino. Moss tells me it will be at least 1 week before they can even LOOK at my vehicle - however it was already towed to the dealer, and as stated before - it was and still is completely inoperable. The following day I receive a call from Moss Bros - stating they THINK a bearing on the input shaft grenades itself through the transmission, and is covered under warranty and theyre going to work on getting a replacement.Fast forward to Friday the 4th I receive a phone call from the dealer and they say they HAVE NOT torn down the transmission case nor done anything to the vehicle. Well how could they have known or hypothesised a bearing went out without even having looked at the vehicle? The following week I receive a phone call from the dealer stating that the transmission will be rebuilt and covered by FCA however, parts are on back order (specifically the valve body). My service writer told me to expect it to be in by the 22nd of November. However, he also mentioned they have brand new transmissions (68RFE) in stock at their local warehouse. However FCA will not authorise a replacement. All while my vehicle has been sitting at the dealership for approx. 2 weeks at this point and I have not been offered a rental vehicle of any sort. So I call FCA Parts escalation and I am told the valve body is on back order and to expect it by the 22nd. November 22 rolls around and I receive a phone call saying that there was an issue with the vendor for the valve body and they are delighted to inform me that the part will arrive the week of the 28th.I explain to FCA parts escalation how this is unacceptable as my work vehicle, revenue generating work vehicle, my fleet vehicle has been out of service for 3 weeks and I cannot do my job with my personal vehicle. I was not offered any kind of rental for my truck being in service for so long either. Parts escalation then assigns me a case manager. Im told to expect a call from the case manager the following day. Never received phone call. The following day I receive a phone call from Felicia in Chrysler Parts escalation and she explains to me that the valve body will be delivered on 12/1/16, however that IS NOT A GUARANTEED DELIVERY DATE AND IS SUBJECT TO FURTHER DELAY. Again, 12/1/16 marks 31 days without my work vehicle.I call my case manager repeatedly only to never receive a callback or even as much as an email. Fast forward to today, 11/28/16. I call my case manager and repeatedly leave voicemails demanding to be called back. After about 4 attempts I get ahold of someone who passes me onto a manager, who then calls my case managers, Irving, directly. Irving explains that Chrysler is not responsible to provide a rental vehicle, nor will they provide a rental vehicle, nor will they compensate for a rental vehicle, nor will they replace the transmission (when the COMPLETE transmission is in stock at the local warehouse) and I will have to wait until the valve body is delivered.I got a complete run-around from him about how FCA is not liable for rentals, nor is the dealership, and nor will they further investigate replacing the transmission with one in the local warehouse to get me back on the road faster. So here I am still without my work truck not being able to do nearly 1/5 of my daily tasks because FCA will not do anything to expedite the repairs on my vehicle. I should also note that the vehicle is currently under the 5 year 100K mileage warranty. FCA corporate has given me nothing but a complete run-around and basically shove it attitude about expediting the repairs on the vehicle or issuing a replacement which would have solved the issue 100% and gotten me back on the road 3 weeks ago.

Less than 10000 miles the rubber under the clearance lights had to be replaced. Dealer said they were dry rotted it was causing water to leak into my cab. Truck has a constant shake above 65, dealer says nothing is wrong even though you can visibly watch the passenger seat shake like crazy while driving. 30000 miles water is leaking into my cab again. This time through my rear brake light (with camera). It stained my ceiling which they ended up replacing. Also the paint is severely flawed. It looks like I drive my truck through a gravel pit behind a tractor trailer at 75.Rockers are rusted inside of door head bubbling rust. Under paint bumper has bubbling rust... what do you think Chrysler says rock chips. Yeah a rock chip somehow caused rust to bubble under the paint without leaving a chip.... Truck is complete garbage. Dont waste your money. They slap a warranty on it to make you all warm and fuzzy but when there is a problem they dont do anything to fix it. I owned a 3500 diesel 2012 which the garage could not fix due to the O2 censors kept shooting up and putting the check engine light on. Dodge bought the truck out and we replaced it with a 2500 gas 2014 truck. This truck had a rear end whine in it. The garage we bought it from said it was like opening Pandoras box and did not want to fix it. This whine was between 50-60 mph. We then took it to another dealer and they heard the whine and opened the rear end but did not see anything wrong with it. The truck had 12,000 miles on it with original warranty and an extended warranty on it. The dealer charged $172.00 to have the whine worse 45-50 mph than when we brought it in to be fixed. Bottom line is go buy a FORD or Chevrolet not a Dodge Ram. Two strikes and youre out forever.

Weve only had this since March 28th, 2017 - Over-Engineering is an understatement. EPA has pretty much got us choked down. We bought this big boy to pull a 5th wheel, but thus far, we stay in the repair shop more than anywhere else. Check Engine Lights repeatedly on with O2 Sensors and EGR valve replacements have pretty much got us reconsidering our purchase. With the steering locking up from time to time, (were waiting on a recall,) we dont trust it to take us to the store, let alone on the road for pleasure. Its been anything but... We just had to have the Injection Pump replaced and that set us back 4k. We are on a wait and see list now for the O2 sensor to come on again and they will work towards faulty wiring harness possibly. We simply cant afford this for all of this poor design. My 1st Ram and wish I had our Ford back. We are NOW dealing with standing water in the back from leaking rear brake light that Ram has known about for YEARS, yet they dont correct poor engineering on that issue. We also have water pouring thru the rear sliding window and fixing to go get replacement seals and sweeps for that. We are hoping for a buyback on this monster. Please help us. Its really a bad thing when service technicians drop their heads and shake them when they see you coming AGAIN and they call you by name. SAD!!!

The new 12 Inch Electronic/Radio Display System doesnt work. Unable to make hands free phone calls, or access their Uconnect on vehicle support service because there is high levels of static and very low volume. This $70,000 truck has been back to the dealer twice, within the first month of ownership. Both times, the dealer was unable to repair the problem. They claim they have been in touch with the RAM Techline, who instructed them to run an updated software download. They did it, but it did not repair the problem. I have now been told I have to wait, Possible as long as December for the next new software download. Why they think that software update will work, given they said the first software update they completed was supposed to fix the problem and it didnt. In addition to the technology problems Ive experienced, the optional hard bed cover leaks!!DONT make the same mistake I did. I owned Chevy trucks for 15 years, but decided to try a Dodge. DONT make the same mistake I did and buy this truck. Unfortunately Im one of those people RAM refers to in the advertising campaign by saying: More People Are Switching To RAM. I have been a Dodge person for 50 years with both cars and trucks. I brought a 2012 Ram 2500 4wd diesel thinking it would compare to my 97 ram 3500, but it has not. From the start I started having problems and the truck has left me on the side of the road more than once. It start with front drive shaft going out. Manual says to grease the u-joints but the shaft has no inserices to put grease in, this was $500.00 dollars to fix. Next the transmission went out. This was 2.300.00 dollars. Next the front headlights stop working, this was $150.00. Now the hydro-brake-booster has gone out, the bolts that hold brake fluid to the booster (which two) both broke in middle of the bolts. This separated booster letting fluid out losing all brakes. I am still waiting on the part because it was a special order, and the air-conditioner valves in desk is starting to give problems.

Well, where do I start. We bought a truck from Kernersville Dodge. It was a $3500.00 Dually and paid cash for the truck. We did this in October and we still do not have the title for this vehicle. We have called the dealer and Chrysler several times and each one has told me that the title was mailed. Then I spoke to a manager and she said, Well, we dont have the title to send you, so she didnt know what the first 3 people were talking about. We think that the dealer had not paid off the truck and they still had a lien on the title. I couldnt tell you. I have never been lied to so much.In the meantime. We have had the truck in there for at least 5 times for the vibration. It has been to 3 dealerships now and still Chrysler doesnt want to make it right. Kernersville tried to balance it and then said nothing was wrong. We fussed and fussed until Chrysler sent us to Nichols in Burlington. They did put 2 ties on the front and it was 2 totally different tires then what was on the truck. And they didnt report even doing that job. We fussed about that and they wouldnt make it right. So, we go back to Chrysler and tell them that we are going to get an attorney and get the truck returned and get our money back. The next day we get a call and they have made us an appointment for Crown Dodge in Greensboro. I take the truck in there and the service advisor says oh yeah we had one just like this when he worked at another dealer and we had to fight and fight Chrysler before they would change the tires and it is back tires that we have the issue with. So, he called yesterday and said that Chrysler wouldnt make the tires good and we would have to fight with them. So, I pick it up again today. The other issue was that we had the radio go out and Kernersville ran a test and said to our face that they would change the radio out. We said okay, expecting them to call when they got it in. And we would AGAIN drive 100 miles round trip to get that done. Well, when the Crown Dodge place called Kernersville Dodge to see if they ordered that radio, the guy said, Oh, we already changed that radio out. We knew was a lie. When my husband had talked to them the week before to check on all of this, they said that they had no record of getting a radio or that they even tested the radio. They would have to do that again. We had the paperwork where they did it. So, did they do the test or not. We know they didnt change it out. So, Crown ran their own test and yes the radio is bad and they ordered another. So, now I have in my possession a 60,000 dollar truck with no title and mix match tires that cant be rotated and a radio that goes on and off on its own. Hmmm, but Kernersville Dodge wont make it right. But they were all fine when I was getting ready to make that check out. Oh, yeah I didnt mention that they put the tag under the wrong weight and it was supposed to be a farm tag and it wasnt. Kernersville Dodge did that and didnt want to make that right either. We were told to pay the taxes on the truck and buy another tag. And guess what? I dont have a title or registration to get a tag. The temporary tag has run out. The worst experience I have ever had with a car dealer. They suck. And what makes me so mad is that they dont care. They really could care less if you are a happy customer or not.

We purchased what was supposed to be a new 2014 Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn Cummins motor crew cab dually. Well in all reality it was not. Had problems with the truck from day 3. Has a terrible lag, vibration, no power, will not hardly pull out of the driveway with a trailer on it. Dealer said, Thats not right. Bring it over. We took it over. They all do that we were told. Then why on the phone was I told there is something wrong. Come to find out the truck had apparently been bought and brought back. It had been worked on several times and was in service in Jan. when we purchased. In Aug. Dodge got involved and things have gone down since brake controller is out, cruise control is out, traction control is out, rear window leaks has a short in it somewhere, tires are wore completely out at 12,000 miles. ABS system works sometimes, exhaust brake works sometimes, uses oil about 1 quart per 1000 miles, fender flares falling off, running board falling apart, seat memory sometimes works, coolant light comes on, motor sounds like its going to blow, has a miss. Radio is going out map, light going out, not the bulb either, the map light itself. There are many more things going on. Dodge agreed to put us in another one but has to be of equal or less value so buyer beware. Do not buy a Dodge. We have talked to a lot of people that just give up and trade them off.

They had the truck for 5 days, said it was fixed and ready for pick up. So I took truck for ride, same issue as when it went in. Then the manager said he brought three trucks out and they all have the same wind noise. I told him then they should tell the buyer before they spend 60.000 for a truck that theyre buying a truck that is not very well sealed. Not impressed because I just traded in my 2013 with no wind noise whatsoever with 160.000 kms on it. Nobody wants to help. RAM JUNK, POOR QUALITY VEHICLE. Bumper to bumper warranty ya right. We had just purchased a 2012 Ram 3500 Laramie truck in January 2013. Since purchasing this truck, we have had the navigation system think it was in the USA as a default and system was reset in Feb. and had further issues with roads missing and thinking the default was again USA which was reset again in April. We were on a trip in Aug. and the navigation then would not recognize anything other than major interstates, including lakes or rivers... Everything seemed to be gone. Roads that were there for 50 years missing. That trip took me almost 4 hrs out of the way because it did not know the roads or see them. We had just returned the truck again for the third time with similar issues with Nav to Courtesy Chrysler Calgary, the dealer we purchased the truck from, and this time told they could not do anything as the system had all the latest updates and we need to go online to Navtech and tell them our problems and they may provide answers to our issues. This is basically dumping us, the owner, with the problem with a $4000 Navigation system that will not function properly and us to try to resolve. This truck only has 18,000 KM on it. Funny thing, I was about to purchase another truck or SUV this weekend and it will not be a Chrysler product and when my 2009 Chrysler 300C is ready to go, it will not be replaced by a Chrysler product because of the poor customer service I had to experience with this truck. By the way, I called the Chrysler hot line only to be told they could not help... LOL. I purchase a new vehicle roughly every two to four years times two... Lots of money losses for someone not to mention my 5 kids asking me what to buy or any people we know...and we know more than one.

On 07/07/14 I bought a 09 Ram truck from Island Chrysler in Pawleys Island SC. It only had 37233 miles on it. It came with a 90-day power train warranty. On the FIRST day I informed the dealership about an engine issue. I took the truck back for service the next business day. They checked it out and said it was fine. It only got worse. The engine loses power and smoke pours out the tailpipe. I took it back on 08/20/14 again no resolution. To date it has happened 15 times. I have put 3000 miles on it and it has used over 2 quarts of oil every 1000 miles. I have changed the oil twice. I called Chrysler and they have given me the runaround. I am disabled and can not afford to fix this. HELP.

I bought a new 2012 Ram Quad cab with the hemi in April of 2012. About the time I hit 7,000 miles on the truck, I developed a nasty vibration in the truck once you leveled out the speed at around 50 MPH. Being a Mechanic for a living, I started to pay attention to this vibration and accelerated to see if I could drive out of the vibration to which I was able to. This vibration was not there all of the time. It would come and go and had a mind of its own. My wife and I went for a nice drive one day. And on our way back we were in a 30 MPH zone, leveled out speed, the truck jolted forward 2 times in about 500 feet of driving without me hitting the accelerator. At that time, I decided to make an appointment to drop the truck off at the dealer to get it checked out. When I went in to the dealership to look at vehicles for my wife, I went in to set the appointment up and spoke with the Service Manager. I started to explain to him what the truck was doing. And he knew exactly what it was doing and cut me off and told me to drive the truck and level out the speed - when it starts to vibrate, hit the tow-haul button and see if it stops vibrating. He told me that they have this complaint frequently. I did what he had asked of me to do, and it helped the problem, but did not totally get rid of the vibration. So I took the truck in and dropped it off. I told them to drive the truck to see what I was talking about and a service tech wanted to drive the truck with me. So we went for a drive and he was driving the truck. We got onto a smooth fresh paved road and sure enough, he verified the complaint. We drove back to the dealership and pulled the truck into his bay. He hooked up the computer/scanner to check for flashes (updates). To my surprise, there were several, and he said he would flash the truck and drive it again to see if one of them would cure the vibration. When we got back from sons basic training in Georgia, I went to pick up the truck. They said it was done and the flashes took care of the vibration. I got in the truck and drove away and BAM, vibration still there. So I called them again and talked to them. The Service manager stated that it was normal for this truck to do this, that he could take me to the lot and put me in any brand new RAM and it would do the same thing. I was not going for this stupidity, so I contacted Ram brand and told them of the problem. They assigned me a case manager (A Woman who sits behind a computer). I received a call from her and she told me she would contact the dealer and get back to me after she verified my complaint. When she finally called me back, she told me that they wanted to send out a district tech advisor to drive the truck. After this was done, the tech advisor reported that it was as per design and was totally normal and will not hurt anything and needs no repair at this time. I have made several calls to the case manager to no avail. The service manager actually told me that he felt 2 separate vibrations but they could not do anything without the approval of Chrysler LLCs approval, because they do not know what is causing the problem. The case manager tells me that the service manager says the truck is fine. They played me the entire time, then they tell me I have 3 choices - live with it, trade truck in for new truck and pay the difference or take to another dealer. I took to another dealer and dropped it off with them. They verified the vibration and did some serious investigating and said that they believe it is related with the torque converter but cannot do anything as of yet until it gets worse. We purchased a travel trailer in June which weighs 6,400 LBS. This truck has shifting issues when pulling this camper, and at times when shifting into final gear, it slams/clunks and shifts very hard. So now here I sit, 21,000 miles on the truck and still nothing done about it. Did a Google search on this complaint and my oh my, the complaints of this exact issue and yet nothing gets done about it. Before this problem became so severe, and I figured Chrysler would take care of this, we purchased a brand new 2012 Journey Crew fully loaded and 2 brand new 2012 Avengers for the kids, and this is how they treat us… My brother in law has the exact same truck and does not have this problem at all, yet they say it is as per design... HMMM.

Dodge Ram - WARNING - If you have a 2019 or 2020 Dodge Ram Diesel. GET RID OF IT. Our 2019 with less than 30,000 miles has been at the dealership for 45 days now with NO RESOLUTION. We were stranded on the Interstate for two hours - IT JUST DIED AS WE WERE DOING 75MPH, - we are blessed no one was right behind us. The warranty that is supposed to be top rated is useless. The case managers, supervisors, do not return calls and the poor dealership service managers are left to deal with things that the engineers dont know how to fix. The fuel pump recall doesnt have a fix and there is no fix for all the damage that comes when the fuel pump goes out and sends metal shavings all through injection system. Our last update after 45 days (and paying two truck notes) is that STAR engineers have no idea how to fix this damage. We have been without a vehicle all this time. SO IF YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE, GET RID OF IT BEFORE YOU ARE LEFT IN A MESS LIKE THIS!

Since we have bought our Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 we have had nothing but problems. #1 stalls when driving. #2 put 4 trannys in it and dont pull anything heavy with it. #3 paint falling off it. #4 it revs up when just idling. The rpms shoot to 4 and back down. We have had everything possible fix that it may have been and it still does the same thing. Just crazy. Some people now days can only afford one vehicle and when they do they expect it to be a good one. I will tell you one thing if I can afford to get another one it will definitely NOT be a Dodge. With all these problems and not just this one there are a lot of complaints about 05 Dodges. I cant believe that only the States are buying back these vehicles. But I will tell you one thing. I have kids in my vehicle and if it stalls and someone get hurt there will be a big law suit. This is not good for business. From one unhappy customer.

Bought a 2015 Ram 1500 quad cab. I tried the window lock and only the back 2 windows lock not the right front. Well after dealing with a dealer they finally got back and said this is the way it should be. I dont buy it. I wonder if it locks on a 2 door truck? Contacted other dealers on problem. All said right window should lock. Contacted my dealer. They sent me paperwork that this is normal operation for the ds trucks. I dont why they would allow this being in my case kids or dog can roll window down. Not good!

2014 RAM TRUCK 15000 miles. Pushing two years old. Day one -- starts great, runs about 2 minutes, dies. This occurred for about 3 months, back to back repairs, had to use roadside service. Finally cured that. Next problem to this exact date, almost a year later, and still no fix! Airbag light on right NOW! Dealership has TRIED numerous repairs and fixes, NO LUCK! Many trips back and forth to dealership, (8 repair orders) STILL ON RIGHT NOW! NOT FIXED! 4 attempts or cases with their STAR TEAM. Whatever that is? They suck! Chrysler Resolution team has tried and I said tried to resolve, offered me $$$ and wipe out past history, extended warranties, I said take that and stick it up your??? REALLY, I JUST WANT AIRBAG FIXED not cover it up and think Im desperate for money. Guess what? Im not! Now have retained a Lemon Law attorney to maybe help. Its been many months and Chrysler tells him no refund or replace. Then Chrysler attorneys tried to offer me $2000 and think I would be happy and say sure. Then again I told my attorney to tell them to stick that up their **! Do they think Im that easy or stupid! Plain and simple and you will understand when I tell you this -- its my life youre messing with daily, 50/50 chance it might or might not work, Russian Roulette every time I sit behind the wheel and drive. THEY DONT CARE! I guess since they are a multi-billion dollar corporation they dont give a ** about lives, their product or name. JD POWER MUST NOT TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN THEY AWARD BACK TO BACK TRUCK OF THE YEAR! My time, my life, my family is important Chrysler! I really want the RAM TRUCK/CHRYSLER OWNERS to know how well your life or problem means to them. I hope this blows up the internet, national news, goes extremely viral! Help me! I have had problem with this vehicle ever since Ive owned it! It has 52,000 original miles on. The engine oil pan is rotted, heat shields rotted and rubbing on the flywheel, electrical system replaced, rotted body no matter how many times it was repaired! Dodge/C has done nothing to help me But take my money. Purchased extended warranty, nothing covered - fed up! Stopped warranty, after multiple items were being denied, never was treated this way. Now starter 426.00 to replace, 965.00 for engine oil pan replacement, rotted heat shields on motor, trans heat shield rubbing. Dodge refuses to do anything but charge me up the you know what. I bought 4 vehicles from them and they never did one warranty or recall. Totally refused, waited almost 1 year on my jeep recall. Why dont you guys honor your vehicles? Im a disabled emergency worker who you keep taking advantage of!! Fix it!!

I bought this 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 new in 2001. Im still driving it and loving it 18 years later. Ive had some maintenance but what vehicle wouldnt after 228,000 miles. The maintenance was minimal compared to what it should have been. The 5 year battery in it I installed in 2009 and its still working in 2018. It doesnt look very good but I dont care. Its the most dependable vehicle I have ever owned.

We had no problems with our 2015 Dodge ECO DIESEL 1500 Longhorn truck, excellent fuel mileage, everything worked perfect, then when driving on the toll road at 60 mph truck was getting 32 mpg mileage 33,134 and we are not towing anything our ENGINE BLOWS, we had it towed to the nearest Dodge dealer, after removing the engine pan full of metal parts, Dodge would cover it under warranty. We traded it in on a Dodge 5.7 V/8 not happy with fuel mileage. However we feel we can trust this engine to last at least 65,000 miles.

Since we got the Ram Dodge 2007 1500 pickup in 2008 from the dealership, the 4 wheel drive truck will all of a sudden die when I hit some bumps on our dirt road where we live (I am not 4 wheeling either, I have kids in the car). This happens randomly. We have taken it in now for 3 times. First time, they said they saw that it happened on the computer. However, the second and third time, they said they didn’t see it and that it was because my key chain was too heavy. Since 2008, it has died while driving on my dirt road at least 8 times. I just pray it never does it on a bumpy road, on the freeway or highway. Does anyone else have this problem? I don’t take it to the dealership anymore because they say it is because of my keys. Well, I changed it so now it is light so it can’t be that.

I have a 2014 Dodge Lone Star I bought in March. I was trying Dodge for the first time in my life and I will never do that again. I have about 9000 miles on my truck all highway miles but it all started at like mile 5000 something. I have been to dealership three times, left it there twice and it still isnt fixed. They explain that it cant be fixed because where the dealership is located at the speed limit is lower and by policy they cant exceed it. But to really feel the fault you need to go by the speed limit up the highway and they tell me to go to a dealership closer to that speed limit.I will never go back to that dealership or service department. They state they will call and never do. While my truck was there if I didnt call to check on it they never would have told me nothing. They should not be in business.

The 2016 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman has exceeded my expectations for a pickup truck. I pull a 8000lb trailer with it and it performs beyond my expectations. Enough power to always have some reserve if needed. Pulled through the Rockies and engine oil and transmission fluid maintained normal temperatures despite working hard. The interior is the best of all the major trucks I looked at prior to purchasing it and the controls are all in locations easy to reach and utilize while driving. The ride is not stiff like the other trucks providing a more comfortable ride and the sway control is excellent which is important for heavy loads and trailering. All at a price $9,000.00 less than its competitors. I would recommend this vehicle to anybody who needs a truck.

Dodge Ram Rebel 1500. Purchased from Key Dodge, Lebanon, New Hampshire. Dodge Ram has in floor storage beneath rear passenger feet on both sides of the vehicle. Driving down a dirt road stick or branch kicked up. Broke plastic in floor bin/storage into interior of vehicle. Stopped by Key dealership to inquire as to pricing for parts. Was led to believe damage was indeed covered under warranty. Vehicle brought to dealership the next day and received a call two hours later after inspection of vehicle and informed that warranty would not cover damage. In order to do repairs for bin/storage the entire floor carpeting needs to be replaced. Interior of vehicle now is able to be exposed to outside elements i.e. road salt, dirt. Bad design flaw for an off-road capable vehicle plastic bin exposed on underbody of vehicle where road debris most certainly come into contact with said bin. Maybe some metal guard over bin or different bin/storage construction.

My brother and I purchased a brand new 2014 Ram 3500 4x4 cc with 6.4 hemi from Tri- Cities Jeep/Dodge/Ram in Kingsport, TN. The night we purchase it 12 miles from the dealership, the loose gas cap light comes on then the check engine light. I continue on home because we werent done till 10 pm dealership closed. The next morning I go back, take it to service, explain what happened and they apologize, agree to usher right in to be checked. Three hours later they come get me and tell the gas cap was loose, I didnt tighten it correctly. It and check engine code reset, all is good. BTW I did not fill it up the dealership did. Later that same day, have driven my truck 43 miles since purchase, the lights come on again. The next day I return to the dealership and explain my displeasure and disgust. They tell me they need the truck for 4-6 hours to smoke test emissions system for leak which now appeared with loose cap light but they cant provide loaner car which is part of Car-Doc warranty I got with the truck. I schedule appointment for following Wed at 8 am. I took the truck in and set for 3 hours while they test it. The results are no leaks, has to be a loose gas cap, they flashed computer to clear codes, should all be good just be sure to tighten gas cap properly. This set me off, I have been driving for 25 years and surely have tightened a gas cap before as I explained to this young man. I proceeded to my salesman and asked for them to fill my truck up again, since most of my first tank of gas was used going back and forth to have light fixed. They did refill it. As I get on my street the light comes back on for the 4th time. I called back and told them I want it taken in and kept till fixed and I need a loaner for my business. I am told they dont have loaner trucks and I would have to wait on a list for a loaner car!!! I have owned several Dodges and used this dealer 3 times but I am thinking I am done with both. Should have bought Ford!!!!

I own a Ram 1500 Ecodiesel fairly new that just got diagnosed with overheating conditions and therefore the dealer can NOT release the truck until repaired have been made to the vehicle. However, the corporate department handling the claim says that I have to rent a truck out of my packet for undetermined amount of time until they find out how to fix the recall so they can than release my truck. From one of their mouths I’ve heard that it might take up to six months! Has anyone ever experienced this issue with Chrysler? If so, what’s the easiest route to make them responsible for this kind of down side for consumers like me? Any help is appreciated. I have purchased 3 dodge Rams and 1 Dodge Challenger in the past 5 years. But after this, I am certain they won’t ever see me in their showroom again. It’s just that bad of experience!

My husband bought me a 2011 Dodge Ram Buckhorn Edition truck for Christmas
My husband bought me a 2011 Dodge Ram Buckhorn Edition truck for Christmas in December 2010. Six months after we purchased the truck, there was a recall notice for the rear main seal. The original dealership we bought it from (Town & Country) replaced seal. Not even a week after this was done, there was a noise from the rear end. So after 2 1/2 years and 3 dealerships and 4 caseworkers from Dodge, my truck is still sitting at dealership and Dodge Tech still not responding on what to do. Rear end was replaced (all components) except main rear end frame. Then they thought it was a leak from the exhaust system. Received 2nd recall notice in January 2013 for bolt for rear end which Dodge has not even manufactured or has available as of August 2013. Now the noise is determined that it is between rear end and transmission (drive train). Took 22 foot trailer for test drive with technician. Now Dodges technician wants them to put 400 to 500 lbs in back of truck to see what it does. Whats the point? As of last night, Dodge caseworker was going to try and contact regional tech to see why he is not responding to dealerships request for further action. Needless to say I have printed out paperwork to file a complaint with Governors office under the Lemon Law. Will be sending certified letters to corporate office today and filing my complaint. According to Georgia Lemon Law, as I read it, if a vehicle is not available for normal use and has depreciated in value, it is considered a Lemon. I say I have a lemon.

I took my truck that is a little over a year old in to have the DEF system checked and 2 recalls. We coordinated all of the issues with the dealer prior to arrival. They waited till I was about to pick up the truck to check on the DEF issue and they said they would call me in half an hour. I called 1 hour later and was told that the DEF wiring harness was shot and would not be going anywhere. Not to worry it will be in next Wednesday (this was a Friday). On Tuesday I decided to check and found that it might be Friday. At this point I contacted the Dodge national line and was told that it was definitely in on the following Wednesday. When I checked the following week, I was told that there we issues and it would now be in on the following Wednesday. When I checked 2 days later, I was told it would be Friday. I like my truck but to wait on a part for 21 days is unreasonable. I am not sure why their system is so broken, but based on their performance, I am not sure I could recommend a Dodge RAM. When you buy a truck like this you buy it because you need it. I haul my trailer to horse shows and do not have an option. I had to rent a truck to drive to a horse show and can only hope that Dodge covers it. They were trying to weasel out of paying for a tuck that is less than the truck that I purchased from them. The national representative has even stopped calling me back.

I have a 2013 Ram 2500 mega cab with a Cummins diesel. I bought my truck in January 2014 and have had nothing but problems with it. Its been to the dealership 4 times to have the pull corrected in the front end. Pulls to the right. Just recently had the uconnect display a message about service phone or something like that. Also just had my climate control stop working. Took it to the dealership and had them look at it. No codes came up. They said my aftermarket subwoofer would have to be removed to work on the climate control. Told them I wouldnt remove it because it has nothing to do with the climate control. The dealership then told me they would not work on my truck until everything aftermarket was removed at a cost of 500 dollars. I am friends with the owners of the local dealership and have set an appointment with them to address the issues Im having with my truck and their ** service department. Very unimpressed with the local service advisers and what they have done to fix my truck.
