2026 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe

The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe continues AMG’s tradition of building powerful grand touring sports cars that combine luxury, advanced technology, and track-capable performance. It delivers strong acceleration, aggressive styling, and a highly refined driving experience while remaining usable for everyday driving.

Overview and Positioning.
The 2026 AMG GT Coupe serves as Mercedes-AMG’s flagship two-door sports car. Unlike AMG-tuned versions of regular Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the GT Coupe was designed primarily by AMG itself with a stronger focus on performance and driver engagement.

The lineup includes several versions, such as:
GT 43 Coupe.
GT 55 4MATIC+ Coupe.
GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupe.
GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupe.

These range from more comfortable grand touring models to extremely high-performance variants capable of supercar-level acceleration.

Design and Exterior.
The AMG GT Coupe features dramatic proportions with a long hood, wide body, and low roofline.

The design emphasizes both aerodynamics and visual impact. AMG-specific elements include the Panamericana grille, aggressive air intakes, active aerodynamic components, wide rear fenders, and quad exhaust outlets.

The current generation has evolved into a slightly more practical grand tourer while still maintaining the aggressive appearance expected from an AMG sports car.

Large wheels, active rear spoilers, and sculpted bodywork further enhance the coupe’s performance-focused look.

Interior and Comfort.
Inside, the AMG GT Coupe offers a luxurious and technology-rich cabin.

Premium materials such as leather, aluminum, and available carbon fiber trim create a high-end environment. AMG-specific seats, steering wheels, and performance displays reinforce the sporting character.

The dashboard features advanced digital displays for infotainment and instrumentation, along with AMG-specific performance pages showing lap timing, power delivery, and driving data.

Unlike many traditional sports cars, the AMG GT Coupe provides a relatively comfortable and refined cabin suitable for longer drives.

The rear seats remain small and are best suited for extra cargo or occasional use.

Powertrain and Performance.
The AMG GT Coupe offers several powertrain options depending on trim level.

GT 43 Coupe.
Uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine producing approximately 416 horsepower with rear-wheel drive.

GT 55 4MATIC+ Coupe.
Powered by a handcrafted twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 producing 469 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour takes approximately 3.9 seconds.

GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupe.
Features a more powerful version of the twin-turbo V8 producing around 577 horsepower, delivering even stronger acceleration and track capability.

GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupe.
Combines the V8 engine with hybrid assistance for significantly higher output and near-supercar performance levels.

All-wheel drive is standard on most higher trims, improving traction and stability in all weather conditions.

Driving Experience.
The AMG GT Coupe balances sports car agility with grand touring comfort.

The chassis is highly capable, with responsive steering, excellent grip, and adaptive suspension systems that can switch between comfortable cruising and track-focused firmness.

Rear-wheel steering improves agility at low speeds and stability at higher speeds.

The V8-powered versions provide especially dramatic acceleration and a deep AMG exhaust sound that many enthusiasts appreciate.

Owners and enthusiasts often praise the vehicle’s balance between comfort and performance, though some note the ride can feel firm on rough roads.

Technology and Features.
The 2026 AMG GT Coupe includes extensive technology features.

The infotainment system supports smartphone integration, navigation, voice controls, and customizable displays. Driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and parking assistance.

Additional features may include premium audio systems, panoramic roofs, ambient lighting, and performance telemetry systems.

The vehicle also includes advanced performance technologies such as electronically controlled differentials and active aerodynamics.

Practicality.
Compared to many exotic sports cars, the AMG GT Coupe offers decent practicality.

Cargo space ranges from approximately 351 to 675 liters depending on seat configuration.

The hatchback-style rear opening improves usability, making the vehicle more practical for travel and daily use than many rivals.

However, rear-seat space remains very limited.

Fuel Efficiency.
Fuel economy varies significantly depending on trim level.

The smaller-engine GT 43 is more efficient, while V8 and hybrid performance variants prioritize power over fuel savings.

Premium fuel is required across the lineup.

Future High-Performance Versions.
Mercedes-AMG has confirmed future extreme GT variants, including a new GT Black Series that will also support future GT3 race car development.

Enthusiasts on Reddit and automotive communities continue to react positively to the AMG GT’s styling and V8 character, particularly as many manufacturers move toward downsized engines and electrification.

Mercedes-AMG is also developing future electric GT performance models using its new AMG.EA platform, with expected outputs exceeding 1,000 horsepower in some versions.

Pricing and Positioning.
Pricing for the AMG GT Coupe generally starts around 107,000 dollars for entry trims and can exceed 200,000 dollars for top hybrid performance models.

It competes with vehicles such as the Porsche 911, Aston Martin Vantage, and Maserati GranTurismo.

Pros.
Strong performance across the lineup.
Beautiful and aggressive styling.
Powerful V8 engine options.
Luxurious and modern interior.
More practical than many sports cars.

Cons.
Expensive, especially higher trims.
Rear seats are extremely small.
Ride can feel firm on rough roads.
Fuel economy is relatively poor in V8 models.

Final Thoughts.
The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe remains one of the most exciting and visually striking sports cars in the luxury performance market. It combines AMG’s traditional V8 character with modern technology, impressive performance, and surprising everyday usability.

I recently purchased a 2016 GLC300 and am appalled by the Navigation System. The GPS gives a one mile prompt when giving turn instructions. I was in the left lane of a 4 lane highway and heard the prompt prepare to turn right... no distance stated... no arrow on GPS screen to show mileage before turn. The prompt is ONE MILE from the turn. I was almost in an accident trying to get from the left lane to the right exit. If anyone uses a GPS on your cell phone you know there is an arrow with mileage stated for your next turn. The GPS on the Mercedes does not have this so you have no idea when your next turn is coming. Then the next prompt is 1/4 mile from the turn. Way TOO little notice for safe driving. Its embarrassing to be driving an expensive car with your cell phone in the cup holder utilizing another navigation system because the Mercedes is SO INADEQUATE. If Mercedes wants to market to younger drivers, they have to catch up with technology. Oh... and another thing... my home address isnt in the GPS system. I was told the system is only updated every year to year and a half. Again... a cell phone Navi system is updated to the minute. Get with the 21st century, Mercedes!

I purchased a 2013 CPO C250. What sold me was the unlimited mile warranty. I had discussed with the finance dept what was and wasnt covered. I had also discussed what the car was to be used for. The purchase was Jan 5 2015. The car was in the shop a lot. I average about 65k miles a year. I had used the warranty several times without a hitch. 2 weeks ago my car was in the shop and I get a text from my writer saying, MBUSA has canceled your warranty. Come pick up your car. So I did. I arrived at the dealership and was amazed that they returned a broken car that looked like they parked it under a tree full of birds. Very tacky. Now, afraid to drive the car. I baby it every time I drive it. Of course thats no good. The car left me stranded last night in the middle of nowhere and dumped all the oil out. Seems a little convenient. Almost like they knew it would happen. I have been in the auto business for many years and have never seen a customer treated this badly. Thats not the whole ugly story but Im sure you get the gist of it. Big thumbs down for MBUSA. BTW, I sell German cars and we are a class act compared to this manufacturer.

My experience at Euromotor Cars in Bethesda, MD has been dismal. I had an accident and I took my car to the dealership/body shop to be repaired. The damage was assessed and I was asked about a dent on the other side of my car. I explained that that dent was not part of my accident claim. The employee asked me if I wanted it fixed for $100. I agreed to have it done and to pay for it out of my own funds.Over a month and a half later, when my car was finally fixed, I inquired about the work on the other dent and I was told that the quote was incorrect. It was really $2000! When I complained about the quote, I was told that they just made a mistake and that I was trying to get something for nothing.I explained that if I was trying to be dishonest, I would have included all of the damage in one claim. I added that although I lost my 6 figure job and was now working for 60% of what I formerly, I still pay Mercedes every month and that my husband and I own 3 Mercedes and SMART car. I was told that I should have sold my car and driven a $200 clunker. I was trying to explain that I live up to my obligations and that I felt Mercedes should do the same. So much for being a loyal customer who tries to do the right thing. I guess Mercedes doesnt value my business. The dent in my car has not been fixed and I have made a formal complaint to the National Consumer Service Center.

This vehicle will run forever if properly maintained. I have 186,000 miles, serviced as per MB, using MB spec fluids and parts. The vehicle gets great gas mileage considering its size and weight. I believe this SUV will exceed 300k miles without any major component failure.

I love my car which now has over 200 hundred thousand miles. It is safe, reliable and beautiful. I will not trade in or sell it until I absolutely must because it is now an extension of me. Its a luxury car, heated seats, makes me feel special, and smooth ride. I have received a higher level of admiration and respect from others when I drive my car. Since the car is an older model it does not have technical advances such as a screen on the dashboard to assist with backup parking, which I would love to have.

Power steering is leaking on our 2008 ml350 with only 54000 miles. You would assume that power steering in a Mercedes will last longer than that. No parts available, have to buy a whole new steering wheel column $3500. Had to replace the lift gate motor at a cost of $2000. The power steering rack developed a leak causing the oil pressure to the unit to fail resulting in loss of power steering function. This vehicle does not have a warning system to alert the driver of this type of failure. A previous safety recall was issued January 2009 (safety recall #2008-120011) for 2008 ML 320s for a defect such as this. However, this particular vehicle was not part of that recall. We feel this part should last the life of the vehicle without failure.

I have 2003 Mercedes Benz CL 500. The AC stopped working after a leak. Right after that, the ESP light came on then the car stalled out, my radio unit stopped working and there was no sound. I went to the dealership and got a diagnostic test. They insisted that I replace the whole unit at $3500. I went to a small music shop and they changed the fuse. The sound works great now.

In December 2006, I had a bad car accident. An F150 Ford truck ran a red light and badly damaged my car. (The driver left the scene). I could not walk. My car was in the paint and body shop for almost 5 months & I had to rent a car for that time period. I only had the car 13 months at the time of the accident. The car stayed idle for so many months in the repair shop that the tires were stolen off the car, and Mercedes Benz manager said that was the time the tires should be replaced anyway (thats not true). I was not compensated for the tires. When I finally got the car back, it had swaying issues. I never knew when the car was going to sway, therefore, I was afraid to drive at a high rate of speed. The swaying was very scary!!!. The car went back to Mercedes Benz more than once with swaying complaints. They claimed their technicians could not find anything wrong with the car. I know that Mercedes Benz knew exactly what was wrong with that C280, but everyone denied the issue. Therefore, I had to continue driving the defected car as safely as possible until the lease matured. The swaying issues could have caused a serious accident & possibly death. I would not let anyone else drive it because of the swaying. I finally stopped complaining because it was useless!

I bought my used 2002 Mercedes Benz c230 about a year ago with a small used car loan. Everything seemed to be okay with the car but that only lasted about 500 miles. Everything on this car is broken. My dashboard is dry rotted and chipping away, the side door panels just come off when trying to open them up from the inside. Everything I touch literally just falls apart in my hand as if its been put together with Paper glue! The controls that open and close the windows have literally just popped off and are hanging there! I have electrical problems, my windshield wipers dont work (I live in Florida), my air conditioning doesnt work... Ill be driving down the road and my engine just turns completely off and I lose all power to everything including steering. My SRS light is on so I have no locking seat belts, airbags or horn. The car is literally a death trap, I seriously am concerned for my safety driving it and to fix all these defective things that are happening is going to cost probably 100 percent of the worth of my car. Im a hard working person, and this car has been nothing but a big hole I throw my money into. Im still paying it off so its getting parked and Im biking to work. Thanks, Mercedes for ripping the public off with this piece of junk!! Btw the car has only 70,000. I owned a dodge neon with 215000 miles on it that ran better than this!

At the age of 57 on January 3, 2013, I had my 1st heart attack and decided life was too short and I shouldnt wait to buy my dream car any longer! So purely out of fear I went out and purchased my 1st Mercedes ML350 2010 @ Mercedes-Benz of Greenway, Houston, TX on January 28, 2013. Ever since I was a young boy my dream of success was to own a Mercedes Benz. I believed in the brand, quality and safety! I should have done my homework and searched the internet for any negative comments on Mercedes-Benz. If I would have known then what I know today after reading thousands of complaints, recalls and lawsuits, I WILL HAVE NOT PURCHASED a Mercedes-Benz EVER!!!Why I say this??? Because after 1 week of having this vehicle its been a sequence of malfunctions and headaches! Its been HELL and in the service department over 11 times 6 of them for the same thing!!! After so many trips to the dealer, have them check it, have the computers check it, have MB expert Techs check it, after so many conversations with so many managers, in the service dpt. at Alex-Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz in League City, TX and a case a manager Jennifer in customer service @ Mercedes Benz North America, NOTHING has been found by their computers. In other words Mercedes Benz mechanics, techs call them whatever you wish are only computer error codes readers and parts changers! They have no idea of the problems unless their PRECIOUS computer tells them whats wrong with the vehicles! I am exhausted, ready for another heart attack! Its not only all the inconveniences and stress this has caused my family, myself and my work, its also and the most important part of this problem, OUR SAFETY!!! Warning light comes on: a) Front Passenger Airbag Disabled, See Operators Manual; b) Front Passenger Airbag Enabled, See Operators Manual; c) ESP warning light also comes on (ESP stands for Electronic Stability Program)!!! The manual instructs you to take it to nearest dealer A.S.A.P. Mercedes-Benz does not want to honor their factory guarantee 4 years, 40,000 miles! According to Jennifer (case manager) at Mercedes-Benz North America Im not under factory guarantee, this vehicle today has 30,221 miles! I also have the Certified Pre-Owned warranty, this is meaningless to them! I have asked time and time again to exchange this vehicle that we are very scared to drive! God forbid theres an accident and the passenger in my vehicle get seriously hurt or worst, there is no money in the world to recompense a loss of a loved one!!!Ive asked all of them managers to write me a letter and guarantee me that the airbags will deploy in case of an accident and they all declined! I tried to speak with Mercedes Benz of Greenway (this is where I purchased this LEMON) and to add insult to misery, they wanted to make even more money off from me! They are a total joke! My salesman Rik is a total disappointment! After trying to speak to him on several occasions, he asked me to go through their legal department (company policy) all because I asked him if I should be looking for an attorney (thought for a moment there he was my friend). Nice going, MB of Greenway, make the sale and later bully people with your legal department! Now Im left with no other choice as to hire an attorney and sue them, they sold me a LEMON and they know it, theyre just making time for the guarantee to run out of time! Let me tell you people, Mercedes-Benz has sacrificed their quality for quantity, their integrity for money, their customer service for bullies!

My name is Ahmed ** and I am from Saudi Arabia. I am writing to your esteemed company because I believe you care about your customers and their relationship with you. I experienced some issues with my new SLK 250 2012 (WDDPK4HAXCF042129). I had recently gotten home from work and then about 1 hour later, I tried to leave my house with the SLK. When I left in the middle of the road, it started to shack. At first, I thought it was the tire. It never occurred to me anything else since it is only been 8 days since I purchased it. After that I slowed down and parked a side then the engine went off. I turned off the electrical system and then started the car again. This time, the engine tried turning over, but did not “catch” and the car died again. The third time I went to start the car, the engine came on and made a very strange “gurgling” sound like it wasnt getting enough throttle/gas. So I gave the car a bit of “gas” by slowly pushing down on the accelerator pedal and the engine caught, but then quickly died. All this time, the instrument cluster was “fluttering”. The RPM needle was bouncing between 0 & 1k rpms very quickly (5-6 times per second). No warnings on the instrument cluster either. I gave up and called a truck to bring the car to the local dealer service center.I know that Mercedes-Benz is very concerned about its reputation but I was shocked by the way I have been treated by our local dealer here in Saudi Arabia (Juffali). For someone who just purchased a car, I was expecting more consideration. Moreover, they did not provide a substitute car for me which has a very strong impact on me being using public transportation instead of using my brand new car.

I have had two cars now of Mercedes in 2 and a half years. The first one was one of the red ones that they have known about for 4 years and still carried on spraying with this faulty paint. I had not much success with the warranty procedure to the degree that they only wanted to respray the panels affected, this happen to be everywhere apart from one side I argued for a full respray as the car was showing signs of getting worse by the week. I got so fed up that believe it or not I traded it in and got another one. This one was involved in a accident that involved the bonnet needing slight fill and respray. I was told it at to go to a Mercedes approved spray shop so of it went to Looker of Maidstone Kent where the first week it was sent back to me on a transporter. I did not let it be unloaded as it had scratches and chips in the new paint work. Back it went for another week. I was called and told it was ready for collection and when I got there the bonnet was not put on the car straight and the paint work still not good. They told me they had resprayed the whole bonnet but this was a lie as when I spoke to the guy that sprayed it, he said he only went across 3/4 of the way, they also told us they had replaced parts, they hadnt. They also managed to damage one of my alloy wheels in transport which was refurbished. I still think I should have got a new wheel as there was nothing wrong with it when it went in. After week three I got it back. I am still not happy with it as when washing it I have a circular mark on the bonnet. I sent all my correspondence to Mercedes Benz and after 5 days they have told me they are not prepared to compensate me other than the free labor only offered on my next service. They cant understand why I am unhappy and have told me that I have to go to the ombudsman. This is unreal from a so called premium branded company. Anyone that can help me get this out on the internet as they seem to think they are untouchable by the man on the street. My main bit of advice dont buy a Mercedes if you are expecting a good customer service and after care. Poor poor poor.

I bought my 2010 E550 only 5 months ago with less than 23K miles. Since I have the car, I have been not less than 6 times in the dealer shop for repairs. Today, I had to call the road service as the car didnt turn on at all, I have been told by the gentleman that showed up that there is an electric element killing the battery and I have to bring the car for service again. The first 6 times I have been in the shop is because the volume in the media system stops working, I turn on the car and randomly the volume on the radio would turn on. If the volume doesnt come, I will have no Bluetooth system, no volume on the navigation system, any music, etc. They have changed the radio, the amplifiers, the Sat. unit, but still the problem is there. I am probably too fuzzy to want to have music while I am driving my beautiful car and I also want to have the navigation system to give me instructions when I need guidance. The problem is not just the non-existing volume on the media system once in a while; the real hazard here is that when the volume comes back randomly, it does so at the loudest possible. This is a very serious problem because that very loud volume may scare you while you are driving. It can really cause an accident. I have been told that the problem is the BlackBerry attached to the Bluetooth system but I no longer have the BlackBerry with me and the problem is still present. I believe there is another problem in the car and they cant figure it out. I would like to know if anybody else is having such a problem while driving an E-Series or is it just my moody car. I think if they cant fix the problem, they should get the cars out of the road. It is a very serious problem.

Today I took the time to go to the dealer and talk to the shop foreman about this issue. We both agreed that the molding and lower panels are made defective and there may be no fix for this problem. I purchased an E class in 2008, and got the hard sell about the extended limited warranty from the salesman, so I purchased it for more than $3,500, believing what the finance manager told me that it would be refundable, if the vehicle was sold or traded in before the extended limited warranty went into effect. In December 2010, my husband decided to trade in the vehicle, because an illness prevented me from driving it, and I requested a refund of the warranty as the vehicles factory warranty would not expire until April 2012. The dealer referred me to Mercedes Benz USA and they told me that the warranty was not refundable, as the warranty only allowed me to cancel 60 days after I bought the brand new car with a 4 year factory warranty. I kept telling them that this did not make sense and the 60 day rule for the refund would logically begin 60 days after the extended warranty went into effect. Mercedes corporate absolutely refused to budge from their position, and have pocketed my $3,500, without doing anything for my money. I have been a loyal MB customer for 20 years, and have purchased 5 vehicles in that time frame, and I find it unacceptable that the big international Mercedes corporation found it necessary to keep my money.

Today I sent them a video of the noise and they said that its coming from the AC equalizing pressure which is normal. Im very frustrated because Ive never had a car that makes any noise like this. I leased a brand new vehicle GLA250 that has a random ghost acceleration that cannot be fixed. The front differential had to be completely replaced at 4,700 miles on it. Then the tires went bald at 5,000. Then the gym service manager Mark ** says the cars drivetrain can’t handle potholes and these types of problems are common with Mercedes Benz. Their insurance recommendation also refuses to cover this car. It’s been a nightmare as I also ran over the neighbors child as the car suddenly accelerated. Was told to leave the car running for 2 minutes before driving which obviously made no difference. The only excuse is they cannot replicate so they cannot help.Their insurance company says it makes no difference whether they can replicate the issue and should pull the unsafe vehicle from use. Never again will I buy a new Mercedes. Our 2011 ML350 has only 22,000 on it as of today. We use it for vacation trips only and it is stored in a climate controlled garaged when not in use. We have had three major repairs in the 22,000 miles, mostly sensors failing that made drivability terrible. Also had to have a new computer installed after several trips to various MB dealers who could not seem to diagnose the problem.Latest problem is bad rattling noise from the front suspension. I took the car to an independent mechanic who has a stellar reputation who diagnosed the problem as upper front strut mounting failure. This was at 17,000 miles and in preparation for a trip to Florida we had scheduled and wanted to be sure it was safe to drive. On that trip I took it to a dealer in Raleigh, NC where our daughter lives to have it repaired (We have no dealer within 100 miles of us here). The dealer verified the strut problem and quoted over $1800 to repair, which was a shock to me as I assumed at 22,000 miles that the warranty would cover this. We were told the time on our warranty had expired by just a little bit and it would not be covered by warranty. I called MB USA and tried to get it covered since it was such low mileage on the car. They would only allow a 40% discount on the repair. I then took the car to the earlier mentioned mechanic who did the repairs for less than the 40% off price at MB dealers. Never again will we buy a MB or have this one repaired by a MB dealer. The build quality on this car is about as bad as owning a Yugo. I have much experience on automotive builds as my hobby is restoring antique cars and building hot rods. I have built several cars from the frame up and currently own two hot rods built that way (1953 Ford F-100 and a 1934 Chevrolet). The car club I belong to is who recommended the local mechanic I use now for all maintenance on my newer cars when I dont have time or equipment to do it myself. The MB was purchased by my wife as her car and we expected much more from such a high priced vehicle. Highly disappointed in Mercedes-Benz.

The Mercedes C63s sits atop of the MB C class line and comes standard with the works in terms of AMG tuning and design elements for that extra bit of luxury and massive amount of performance. The 63s is NOT a cheap car by any means. In fact it probably sits atop the segment in terms of price. BUT, the car handles beautifully, fit and finish is spectacular and the engine note from the twin turbo V-8 is out of this world. If you want a car that appears docile, feels luxurious and sedate, but performs and sounds like a car 10 times the price, then you may have found your match.

Second time in 1 year 2 tires blew out on the road in NYC. Paid first time for 2 tires because was told the wheel alignment was the cause of the bubbles on the tires. In fact the tires were defective and the car was at all times maintained on schedule by the dealer (2013 model S550). They wanted to charge for the tire replacement second time and charge for the wheel alignment - again the dealer maintains the car. My conclusion is that the tires are defective or not suited for driving in the city. This is the last time I will buy a Mercedes - poor quality, poor overpriced service...

I have a 2008 E320 that was serviced at Mercedes-Benz of Portland a few times. Unfortunately, they did not do the work they charged me for. I spent over $3000 in routine maintenance and none of the work was done. There is a HIGH turnover rate with the mechanics and service advisors. I get the impression that the manager is quite ineffective.

I own an ML 500 2008 model. At no more than 10000 km, the front suspension collapsed. 30000 km later, the same problem occurred. Mercedes Benz refused to repair and I had to pay over R30000 for replacing it. At 150000 km the hydraulic pump collapsed. I had to pay R9000 for a replacement. One month later, it collapsed again!! They replaced it on guarantee. One month after, same problem with the pump happened again. They replaced it and said that if it happens again, it is my problem and they will not look at it again!! Now the car has 170000 km and it does not change gears. I have to stop the car in the middle of the road to switch the engine off to reset the computer and start it again. It happened a couple of times during the day. The central locking is not working either. The suspension is making a terrible noise when I go over bumps. This is the ** car I ever had!! My wife drives a BMW, no problems at all.I wrote to Mercedes customer care services a few months ago about the problems and Im still waiting for an answer. The car is always serviced at Bedfordview dealer. What a ** dealership? Its always my mistake for the failures!! Soon i will take the car outside of BMW head office and set it on fire after I invite all the car magazines and the management of Mercedes to see what I do to rubbish cars like this. I will then walk in to BMW AND GET AN X5.

They would not warranty the engine even though records were provided. Left me without a car and expected me to pay for it out of pockets over $8000. The car was drivable when I brought it to the shop, was there 3 weeks then they said engine stopped. Sounds more like whatever they tried to repair they caused more damage and Mercedes-Benz USA no warranty.

I recently (Nov 2014) traded in my C-300 (2012) for the new C-300 (2015) at the London dealership. After a few weeks my daughter complained that her door (left passenger door) would not close properly. We unfortunately ignored her and continued driving the vehicle. Later in January, whilst driving with my family the rear door alarm came on, in a panic I asked my daughter to hold the door while I parked in the emergency lane. On inspection I noticed the door handle awkwardly open, even with constant pushing the door would not close!I took the car into the London dealership where the car was inspected (I also pointed out other quality concerns which I still feel have not been addressed). Later in the evening I was told, We have checked the back door and oiled the mechanism/door lock and this should fix the problem. On my further instance I was told the whole door locking system would be replaced as a precaution until then I could drive my car as it was safe to do so. Happy that qualified Mercedes Benz technical staff had given me a green light to drive without fear of safety concerns I returned home. One week after, the same incident repeated itself with my family in the car! I called the team at service adviser and informed him of the incident. I expected to hear something reassuring but was told the parts were on backorder, I will get back to you tomorrow on how we can solve this for you. As Mercedes Benz, I would expect a much higher standard of product quality and customer care, both of which are absent. Does Mercedes Benz not care about serious safety concerns on their cars? I fear not only for my safety but the safety of other families that may experience this or worse. Please live up to the promise you make to your customers.

I own a Mercedes C180 model 2012, and I had an accident on the 25th of February. The front part of the car is completely damaged, but all the safety items did not work (the seat belts, air bags). The car is now in the service workshops in Ring Road Cairo, Egypt. I asked for a report on why the safety items did not work. They prepared a very short report in which they replied to me saying that the airbag does not necessarily open in any collision, which does not answer my question honestly. Therefore, I need to investigate this problem because the car needs a lot of money, and I am no longer sure whether the car is safe enough for me and my family. This reply from the workshop is not worthy of the Mercedes reputation and this outraged me.

First of all, I wish I had known about this site when my incident first too
First of all, I wish I had known about this site when my incident first took place. I just want to share my experience with everyone so that people can be aware when purchasing a Mercedes Benz. I plan on speaking out on every single forum out there, and if it can help even one person, then I will be satisfied. I live in Los Angeles and purchased a brand new E350 in 2007. Just a few month after the purchase (around 10,000 miles on the odometer? ), I was driving down the freeway when the car came to a sudden stall. The engine completely died, and I could not get it started back up. I was in the second lane from the inside, and the freeway was full of drivers speeding at 70-80 mph. Unable to get out of my car, I watched vehicles behind me careening to a sudden stop or jerking to rapidly change lanes. It was truly a frightening experience.I called 911 to report the incident then AAA to get a tow truck. The CHP arrived within about 15 minutes to help divert traffic away from my car as I was at a dead stop in the middle of a 5-lane freeway. The officers alerted me that it is too dangerous to stand still in the middle of the freeway and that they needed to immediately move my car off the freeway. Since they didnt have towing capability, the only way for them to do that was for them to push the car from the back with their squad car while I steered towards the nearest exit. Without getting too dramatic, I will say that this was probably the most frightening experience of my life. Luckily, no one was injured, and the car just suffered a lot of scratches on the rear bumper as a result of it being pushed by the police car.I wrote to MBUSA and explained the entire experience plus access to the police records. They offered absolutely no sympathy. They didnt even offer a nice gesture by offering to fix the scratches which would have cost approximately a few hundred dollars - pocket change to them. They didnt see any seriousness to the incident. I could have been seriously injured, and I could have caused serious injury to other motorists on the freeway that day. The message that they were sending to me was clear: I am an isolated incident to them, so I do not matter at all. Theyre a big, powerful company with millions of other buyers, so of course they dont care. How nice. Im the familys third generation of MB driver, and I will most certainly be the last.

NEW ML 350 Bluetec - You will never get the fuel consumption indicated by the on-board computer. It consistently understates consumption by more than 1 litre/100 km (or 11.4%) - this had been verified by MBSA. This software problem, as well as the stop/start function that only works 50% of the time, had been reported nearly 2 years ago to them via the respective dealers. 6 Months ago they confirmed that a software patch will be developed to fix the wrong calculation. After numerous follow-up emails, Allis feedback is now that their R&D advice that the current calculation of average fuel consumption is within the design tolerances of the ML... What a big tolerance for a product range costing nearly R1m and claimed to be the Best or Nothing. I have to accept that the ad hoc working of the stop/start function is also within the design tolerance of the ML.

Recently I had the misfortune of seeing what Ethanol can do to a very expensive auto. My Mercedes SL 600(12-cylinder) simply stopped running while on a major road in NJ. I was able to get it to a nearby mechanic who diagnosed a fuel pump failure. A new pump was installed and the car quickly stopped running while burning out the pump. It was towed to Mercedes where it sits for over 4 weeks after they installed a new fuel TANK... a fuel tank!! I believe the damage done to the engine is catastrophic and it isnt going to end well with MB. The tragedy is my 150K car has very low mileage since it was my toy. It never saw harsh weather and sat garaged every winter. Problem is Mercedes knows Ethanol is Hygroscopic and mixes with water. Being heavier than gasoline, this mix of ethanol and water settles to the bottom of the tank where it corrodes metal and rubber gaskets. Think about this; Ethanol that precipitates out of gas settles and the Ethanol now becomes concentrated to mixtures greater than 20-30%. Read up on what this % of ethanol can do to a motor and fuel system. The Marine industry has been living with this nightmare for over a decade...

We were delivered this car in April 2017. After less than 10,000 we have had to replace 2 Tires. After many conversation with the Lawrenceville Dealership in NJ where we were told that indeed the car is too heavy for the tires. No solutions was offered other than for me to pay more money to have the tires changed. Mercedes is aware they are selling a defective product that can potentially be life threatening and they are doing nothing about it. I then e-mailed the corporate offices and was contacted by an agent who tried to work a resolution where we would still pay over 2000 and had to give those tires we paid a premium for, back to them (SCAM)... As a matter of principle and the fact that I can get better tires without them or their HELP... we refused the Great deal!! Nevertheless STAY AWAY... Looks like they dont care if you are stranded in the middle of no-where or if you die as the tires fall apart while you drive or like in my case while the car is parked in the garage!! Worse experience ever, I will get ready of this junk!!!

GKL250 Bluetec and tires - I believe I need to bring this to everyones attention and would welcome a response from Mercedes Benz on this one. I have already written a complaint but they dont seem to be too keen on responding in an acceptable manner. I am a female who lives in Western Canada and our nearest MB dealership is 120 kms away. I bought this car, ex-demo with 1500 kms on it. About a month after I got the car, the run flat indicator came up telling me to check the tire pressure. I noticed that the rear driver side tire was down, so I pumped it up again and reset the indicator inside. A few days later, it happened again but this time went completely flat because I had been driving on it. It was on a Sunday.I called Mercedes Benz helpline and the lady at the other end told me that I had run flat tires on my car and this means I wont have a spare tire but I can still drive up to 80 kms an hour on the tire and take it into my nearest dealership which would be Vancouver (120 kms away). I explained to her that there is no way I could do this as the rim was now sitting on the tire. After a lot of back talk, I finally convinced her this wasnt possible, so she organized a tow truck to come and pick the car up and take it down to Vancouver (at MB cost). The tow truck left a huge black line on my driveway where the rim of the tire had scraped into the tire itself when putting it on the ramp. The next day, Monday, I had a bunch of appointments that I had to re-schedule, so that I could take the bus to Vancouver to pick my car up. I arrive at the dealership and I am informed that the tire could not be saved and was presented with a bill of $575. I questioned why it was this expensive and they said thats what run flats cost. This week, 5 months later, the run flat indicator came back on and I noticed a nail in one of the tires. I took it to my local garage who managed to fix it for $23.99. I asked them how much they would charge for run flats and they said that I dont have run flats on my car and that they are regular all season tires and they would charge for a good tire between $250-$275.As you can imagine, I am not very happy on a number of levels and particularly as I have regular tires and dont have a spare in my car. I referred this complaint to the dealership and was merely told that I have a compressor in the back of my car and I can easily pump it up. This is not acceptable. If the tire had blown out making it totally undriveable and I was in one of the many areas throughout BC that has no cell phone service, what would I do? I can change a regular tire if I had one but in this case, I would be totally stranded! As far as I can tell, this is a big issue that needs to be resolved by MB and I am hoping that they do the decent thing and follow up and to safeguard other owners of these cars.

I recently purchased a SLK280 and have now found that it has a serious and well known engine fault. This was from EMS warning light and fault codes 1200 & 1208 which is for faulty balance shaft. I now understand that this is a well known fault of worn teeth due to material. I am now faced with a 5000 repair bill to repair this. The car is 2007 and has only done 22,000 miles! I have been told that Mercedes are not prepared to offer any contribution to this cost. This is my first Mercedes and one of the reasons I chose it was the perceived Mercedes quality and reliability. I am really disappointed to find a Mercedes engine falling apart after only 22,000 miles.

I purchased my C280 with 7 miles on it. It was the car of my dreams and my very first new car. To make a long story short, five years after purchase and a lot of money invested in maintenance and repairs and no warranty, Ive been told that I need to replace the camshaft plugs, sensor, adjuster, balance shaft, engine mounts, transmission mounts, timing chain and seals. Not to mention, both door handles broke off a few months ago (and to think I blamed my children). Whats worse, the mechanic added that those problems are common problem in C class vehicles from years 2006 to beginning 2008. Basically, the Mercedes Benz company is aware that this problem occurs in their vehicles due to a plastic camshaft that was previously used. Why wasnt I told this while I was still under warranty? Why werent the parts ever recalled? I am so hurt because I cant afford the $5,500 repair on my dream car! The quality I always thought accompanied the luxury of Mercedes Benz is a joke and I cant begin to express my disappointment.

Day one I proceeded to get the car I’ve always wanted, C300. I purchased a package to take care of the car in case anything happens. I found out 1. The package did not include all I was told, and 2 - I was paying for a feature my car never had. The GPS (send to Benz) was removed and three service places could not figure out what happened to it. “It’s somewhere in cyberspace” is what I was told. I then tried to renew my registration in another state; I needed the title and power of attorney, and Mercedes sent a copy.. the DMV needed to original paperwork. Twice copies were sent. I RS now almost May 2020, been waiting to register my car since March. I’ve been paying for a rental for well over a month. Now with the Covid-19 epidemic DMV is closed. If Mercedes would have sent the documents in the first place I would be registered already. Then I was told I would have to pay over five hundred dollars for them to take back my lease car.. because I refuse to lease or purchase another Mercedes. My dream has been shattered and I’m extremely disappointed with Mercedes. When I ask to speak to a manager it never happened and the customer complaints department just stood quiet as I explained My problems and disappointment.

I made an appointment for 7:30 to have my 300C Mercedez Benz serviced on 9/20/11. I arrived at 6:30 that morning, being the first car to arrive. They took my car in between 7:15 to 7:30. I spoke with sales representative Mari **, and once we were done, I asked if there was a loner available. She said there wasnt any until two weeks. That was an inconvenience because I needed to get to work. She then arranged for me to be dropped off. While in the waiting area (first one), other customers began to arrive, dropped their cars, and left with loners. When I was finally called to be driven to work, I walked outside and there was a loner. It doesnt end there. I was told that I would be picked up. At no time during the day, Mari gave me a courtesy call in regards to the status of my car. At the end of my work day, which ends at three oclock, I wasnt picked up or contacted. At which time, I had to take a taxi to the dealer in Larchmont, NY that cost me 50$. Upon my arrival at 4 p.m., Mari says to me, Oh, your back. I stated, Yes, you told me I was going to be picked up. Why wasnt I contacted? After that being said, she stated that the car was not serviced as yet and that they were backed up. The waiting area was completely empty .No Customers. At this time, Ii was livid and none could give me any answers. Mari kept apologizing, then she said to me, Let me check at the back to see whats going on. She returned a few minutes later and said that they are getting started right now. I immediately told her to have my car brought around and that I will take it to White Plains Dealership. I was totally displeased with the service and disappointed with the way I was treated. I feel that Larchmont Mercedes Benz dealers are racist. January 30, 2014 I leased a 2014 C300 from Mercedes Benz of West Bloomfield in Michigan. Upon arrival while picking up my new lease I was advised that my car has been hit and damaged and I would not be able to pick the car up. I waited almost 2 weeks because the paint was being shipped from another country. After that I picked up my car and had no problems with it until June of that year. My first attempt of turning on my AC for the summer was a failure. The AC was not working on my brand new Benz. I took it in for service 5 times for the same issue and every time they assured me that the problem was solved only for it to happen again. Yesterday July 27, 2014 I was driving on the highway going 70 mph, 2 miles before my exit I decide to get off the highway, and thank God I did or else I wouldnt be writing this right now. As soon as I got off the highway my car went from 50 to zero in a matter of seconds.Thankfully I got off when I did or I would have died on that highway or I could have killed someone. Still in a panic I called my dealership and explained what had happened, they told me to contact roadside assistance and have the car towed there and that a loaner car was waiting for me. And so I made the call, I waited for them for an hour. My car could not turn on and it was 95 degrees outside. Finally when the gentleman arrived he loaded my car and we started driving. He then informed me that my car was going to the Novi location which was 30 mins away from where I was now. I explained that my car is to be towed to West Bloomfield, the driver stated that he could lose his job if he did not drive to Novi. I called roadside assistance and they spoke to the driver and told him to turn the truck around and take me to West Bloomfield, he did not listen. We finally made it to Novi, Im beyond furious at this point. The representative at the desk said, I dont have a loaner car for you, and the earliest we could look at your car would be next week. After an argument between myself, the tow guy and Novi dealership I got back into the truck and drove 1 hour in the opposite direction back to Bloomfield Hills. Upon arrival my loaner car was ready. I was then on my way. I then called corporate and advised them of what had happened. I also told them that I no longer feel safe in my car and I either want my lease terminated or to be put in a new car. Today they called me saying it was a computer problem (the whole computer burned out) and once they change the computer my car will be running fine again. I refuse to drive that car, Im waiting on a call from corporate. In conclusion, Mercedes Benz sucks!!!

I have replaced 3 tires on my C350 in the past 2 years or so. A blow out at 100km/hr on the highway and 2 tires that have bulges on the inside of the tire that needed to be replaced. I am told by a local tire specialist Fountain tire that I need to replace both tires on the rear and having spend a small fortune I am not prepared to do that. I was advised with low profile tires and the winters in Alberta that this is something I need to get used to and keep paying for replacement every couple of years. These are continental tires and I am considering changing brand and height profile of the tire... The brake sensor light came on in my Mercedes 350 ML. I stopped driving the car and took it in for service. When quoted a price, they said that not only do I need my brakes changed, but I need the rotors changed as well. I asked then what was the purpose of the brake sensor light if by the time it went on, the brakes were so worn that it affected the rotors. The response was that I should have brought the car in for service earlier. I have had numerous problems with this car. The door for the gas tank fell off. The service agent accused me of breaking it off. Why I would do something like this, I am not sure. The rear seat belts continually get stuck, endangering the safety of my children. What does the Mercedes brand represent? Safety? Reliability? Excellence? Comfort? Customer Service? Not anymore. My brand new 2019 Mercedes c300 and MB USA have failed me in all of these areas. I also requested to speak with Mr. **, the general manager, and he too was elusive. Ten days later, it stalled again on the interstate on a Sunday evening. This time, my pregnant wife was with me, and needless to say the experience caused her a great deal of distress. We had the car brought to MB of South Orlando, as it was the closest dealership to where the car stalled. I was told by this dealership to leave the car, and theyll have it looked at in the morning. I asked them to please help me and my pregnant wife find a ride home, perhaps provide a shuttle, or loaner vehicle. They said there is nothing they can do, and that we need to find our own way home. They returned the vehicle two days later, saying its working fine now after replacing a computer chip. I decided to call MB USA customer service the next day, and explained my disappointment to the representative. I was assured somebody would call me within 24 hours from corporate. 24 hours came and went, and no call from corporate. Finally, about 36 hours later I was able to get a hold of Jena from corporate.Jena listened attentively to my grievances, and was sympathetic to my situation. She said shell get back to me after gathering more information about the vehicle, and speaking with the dealerships. To her credit, she did follow up with me. However, she said the vehicle has been serviced per contractual and warranty agreements, and that there is nothing else MB USA is required to do for the customer. Im extremely disappointed by the level of customer service from MB USA, and the MB dealerships mentioned. Im even more disappointed that my vehicle is not safe or reliable, having broken down twice in two weeks. Mercedes Benz, is this your new standard?

Purchased my 2014 C300 a week ago. Has 10,000 miles. Traded in my 2011 C300 with 75k miles. Had 2 other previous Mercedes also, 2002, 2009. All had approx 75k miles when traded and NEVER an issue with previous 3 cars. 2014 has the ECO start/stop feature which if you research is not a FEATURE but a problem. Roadside Assistance tech who came out yesterday to try to assist me was floored when he could not even jump start it as he believed the starter was gone. He called Tow company, who also could not jump and gave same opinion, crazy that the starter could be gone! The ECO start/stop is believed to be the cause and if you read other problems it does a number on the wear of a battery and starter due to the excessive starting and stopping compared to vehicles without this!!! VERY IRATE AND DISAPPOINTED out of my new car for 2 days and everyone is sorry for my inconvenience.

I bought a 2003 Mercedes E500 in early 2015. Thought I was getting a good deal on a used luxury car with less than a 100k miles. In less than a year I have spent a little over 3 thousand dollars in repairs. And that is going somewhere other than the actual dealership which would of cost me 3X as much! One of the main reasons I bought a Mercedes was because I thought they were supposed to be reliable cars. The only thing I have been able to rely on is that I will be in the shop every other month. On a positive note I took it in to the dealership for a fuel system problem that Mercedes were covering under an extended warranty and the service was great. They treated me very well, fed me and made me comfortable. And the car is a dream to drive when its working but I have a problem with the esp and some brake sensor now that is gonna cost me 2 grand bringing up the cost of repairs to near what I paid for the car in the first place in less than a year. There is no reason for anyone to buy a used Mercedes. The only people who can afford the repair costs of a Mercedes are the people who can afford a new Mercedes and if you can afford the repairs on a used Mercedes you should just buy a new Mercedes. Used Mercedes should just go straight to the junkyard so poor people like me dont get tricked into buying these money pits.

When you hear Mercedes you think, high end, great quality and understand expensive to repair. I received notice to replace the airbag. I went to a local Mercedes dealer for the service. In the process, I inquired about what it would cost to repair the drivers bottom seat that is ripping at the seam and what it would cost to replace the broken, Plastic passenger door sensor. I was quoted $450 dollars for 2 hours of labor to replace a sensor that pops into the socket. What a joke. Then after picking up the car from the airbag replacement, found that the driver window button, also Plastic was broken off.It was not broken when I dropped off the car. The dealership will not take responsibility. I have to say that I am really surprised that either the sensor or the window button are made as cheaply as they are. I dont understand why they would not be made of a more sturdy material given the name of the manufacturer. The lack of responsibility of the dealer for the damage they caused was definitely unexpected. If I thought, at one point, of getting a new Benz, it will not be a consideration now. Nothing like overpriced and lack of accountability. Thank You Mercedes.

I visited the Dealership in Tampa Bay, Florida Mercedes Benz of Tampa Bay to get a diagnostic service since the car was signaling a malfunctioning alternator. I had to pay the diagnostics fee even though I still left without them telling if the alternator was the matter or not because the sales agents asked for me to buy a set of batteries for them to be able to check if the alternator was malfunctioning. The dealer fee was 149 dollars and they gave me a discount so I had to pay for approximately 120 dollars anyways. I find it very hard to believe that a dealership cannot check on the alternator by using one of their batteries if mine were not good enough for the job, which actually I have not had any issues with. I was very displeased with this treatment. I will not recommend this dealer to anyone.

2009 SL550 37K miles. Close to $10K replacing pumps and parts for hydraulic suspension system within last 25 months. Known to have high rate of failure with MB. 2 weeks ago: Total brake failure at intersection. No warning, car hanging out on 40mph road. Alarms, car engine running but with no control. Could not depress brakes per message on dash hard enough to engage gears. Jumped on them and after several near miss t-bones was able to reverse but not stop reverse due to brake failure. Mercedes Benz SBC design flaw and I was lucky. Someone may not be so lucky someday. Will never drive that car or any other MB again. This is another dangerous and documented flaw. MB did not nothing but replace that part. I think I was supposed to be happy. Asked them for fair market value buy back for my car. I was given all the reasons I had no recourse from. They dont take where the car ended up with the brake failure into consideration to expired lemon law period. Better customer service for our Tahoe. More than disappointed.

Snow, ice and one brave or silly girl. The ride, breadth, and finesse of driving is still as fresh as day one. Mercedes has my head, hand at the wheel and heart all in one. I purchased a 2015 CLS 400 4MATIC with less than 7500 miles. After driving the vehicle for a week, I noticed a small grill for the dash temperature sensor missing. I took it to MB of Boston in Somerville, MA. I trusted that would be cover under factory warranty because I purchased this vehicle with an obvious factory defect, the dealership declined the warranty repair, instead quoted me $1200 to replaced the small vent on the dash without no explanation, the dealership make no effort to remedy the problem to ensure customer satisfaction. I was heartbroken to be told that it would not. I reached out to MBUSA customer relations, I was told a number of time theyre going to call the dealership to work it out with them and get back to me. Since then Ive been trying to reach MBUSA no one from the dealership or MBUSA has contacted me or made any attempt to remedy this situation.

I have Mercedes C 200 model 2008, I do all my services in the official dealer in Egypt. After 3 days of my last visit to the service center, I was in the oil station, left the cassette and the lights working then. When I returned, I found the battery was very low to start the car. I did a battery connection one time according to the owners manual but it didnt work. Then I asked the dealer to send a truck, after 2 days they told me that that they charged the battery and everything is okay but when I went there and after paying the bill, the car didnt work, then they told me to leave the car again. After 5 days, they told me that the control unit is dysfunctional and it needs 2 months to bring it from Germany. So how come this situation occurs in a Mercedes-Benz car with 50,000 km? How could I stay 2 months without my car? How come the dealer didnt notice that the battery needs to be changed in my last visit to the service center? Ive trusted this brand for more than 30 years and after this situation my confidence was affected.

Cricks/Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast and my first van Lemon story had a mass
Cricks/Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast and my first van Lemon story had a massive impact on me and my business. When I purchased a brand new Mercedes Sprinter van I was immediately faced with continuous faults, breakdowns and issues with the engine and the mechanical working of the vehicle. After months of Cricks mechanics working on my vehicle and replacing parts constantly due to many different mechanical issues, Mercedes (Melbourne) representatives decided to inspect my vehicle whilst another harmonic balancer was being installed (this was the 5th one replaced!). This vehicle directly impacted on the success of my business and cause massive grief for me during this period as I purchased the vehicle believing what I was told by the sales staff ie; a very reliable vehicle for my mobile business. My experience during this time was that I was advised that my van would be repaired ‘as good as new’ by close of business that day (2012). I was then contacted approximately 5 minutes before close of business that it was not ready and they needed to order another harmonic balancer. This was the fifth one replaced and would be another 4 days?! This van had been towed 10 times during the first 8,000 kms. I have so many stories about my customers having to push this van out of their premises. I was continually forced to wait for tow trucks, wasting hours/days of business time. This van spent more time in Cricks workshop than on the road. This van had so many issues and gave me so much hell, as well as impacting on me, my health, my family and most of all my business. My business is a mobile business and I was definitely not mobile due to this van.One particular incident that I will never forget, was when the van just stopped, ‘turned off’ in the middle of the D’Aguilar Highway and a truck almost hit me at highway speed, missing me by cm‘s - an extremely frightening event! When I finally was able to negotiate a new agreement for the lemon that I bought, I thought this was the beginning of a new start for me - not knowing my nightmare had just begun all over again. I thought my new van was perfect, faultless and not thinking that Garry Cricks would let me down again.I believe that they have not serviced my vehicle correctly, not repaired faults, and treated me extremely poorly and deliberately told me false information. MB Sprinter Van is the worst vehicle I have ever bought! Had it 5 months and has been towed 10 times in first 8000km. And this was my fifth harmonic balancer to be replaced. I am on my 2nd Lemon. Most unreliable van ever! - we are forced to make repayments on a vehicle that sits in the workshop being repaired constantly. Garry Crick Maroochydore the Dealership that sold us the van do not reply to our complaints, cannot give us any help or assistance and lie. The dealer was just as bad as the car. That‘s another story I want to forget. When buying a new Van record everything they say. It will help you later. When I started to talk about the problems, I found many others that were as bad or worse than mine. I thought paying the extra money would get me a quality vehicle. Not worth the extra money and certainly not the quality that the name live up. This is unacceptable and a result of the deliberate engineering of products so they only last for the warranty period. This is deliberate exploitation and blatant theft. We are sick of it. We bought a new Mercedes Sprinter so we wouldnt have these problems.Let‘s take this to court. We need as many people to come forward as possible. If you are one of many please message me: **. I am interested in collecting owner information of those individuals or companies who have had major expenses & Faults in maintaining Mercedes Benz Sprinters and cars, who would be interested in being included in a class action lawsuit again Mercedes Australia.

I keep my vehicles maintained on schedule. My 2009 C300 has just turned 80k miles. Upon using my car to go get lunch, it ran fine. Upon leaving lunch, the door lock and panel lights worked but the car would not start. At all. Had a local garage check battery first. Not the battery. Car then had to be towed 63 miles away to Mercedes dealer for servicing. They also charged $149 to diagnose the problem and a $20 shop fee (I learned this is for towels, lubricants and misc items. Mind you, this is a Mercedes dealership). $1500 later I will be able to pick up the car. In researching this problem, before having car towed to MB dealer, I see many other people on various sites with a c300 and with the same issue.I also can not get a straight answer about the recall for a past rear lighting problem. They say the lighting recall from 2014 is closed, that work will not/can not be completed. I was not aware of the lighting recall as I was in the process of relocation in 2014 and did not receive any communication. Very disappointed in Mercedes customer service and reliability. As a woman, thankfully I was not in the middle of nowhere when my Mercedes decided not to start due to a defective part.

We own a 2009 C300, with 4matic transmission. The car started to make a grinding noise which was being emitted from the center of the car. The car only had 60,000 miles at that point. We took the car to our family mechanic, and he told us it sounded like it was coming from the transmission and he advised we take the car to the dealer. We took the car to Mercedes of Danbury CT. They told us we needed a completely new transmission, and the price was $7,500. We told them it was outrageous that the car needed a new transmission at 60K miles. They told us the warranty only goes until 50K and there was nothing they could do.The dealer told us the car was probably not taken care of, but we took very good care of it. We had Mercedes of Nanuet (the original dealer) look up the records to prove that the transmission service had been performed right on time, and that the car was very well taken care of. In a desperate attempt, we called Mercedes USA. We talked to a regional manager and told him the whole story. The result was they were willing to discount the repair to $6000. We told them this is unacceptable. Given the car had been well serviced, the issue indicates an engineering problem with the transmission. A quick google search will show that many people have the same issue with the transmission. After Mercedes refused to do any better, we took the car back to our family mechanic. He opened up the transmission, replaced the bearing that had failed, and charged us a total of $1,000. In his opinion the transmission has a design flaw. You would think a luxury automobile manufacturer such as Mercedes Benz would treat you well. Obviously that is not the case. We will be selling the car, and will never purchase a Mercedes Benz again.

I have a GLC 300 4WD 2016, running at low mileage of 19,000 in 2 1/2 years. The brakes have a weird sound when applying reverse gear and hit the brakes. MB mechanic had no idea what happened and hasnt been able to fix it. So the brakes have to be replaced. But the labor costs of fixing this has to be the customers paying for it? Ive been asking services department management and customer care from MBUSA, they all stated that no warranty coverage from the issue of brakes. Especially customers have to pay to get fixed even though we as a customer that has been negligence. This’s an issue of manufacturing products issues!!! But MBUSA makes the customers pay for the maintenance costs!!! If anyone buy a MB nowadays, be aware of this issue. When products and services come to have problem without company policies will cover, they will reject to pay and cover even though the customers were right!!

I am having the same issue with Mercedes Benz Walnut Creek, CA. My check engine light came on within a few days of purchasing the car. The salesman Jimmy ** says that the previous owner told him that when you put gas in the light went off and sent me on my way. I came in twice more with the same complaint only to be sent away again. A short time later the cel stayed on. Eventually I had to get my car registered and have the car smogged. The smog place so the cel on and would do no more work. He suggested that I take the car back to MBWC where I purchased the car. I had an extended warranty that canceled but was told it could still be used. I was given a loaner car for a month but when MB could not get paid with the extended warranty they took the loaner back with no charge. I thought this strange. I called the general manager to discuss with him. After he spoke with his people he told me what his people said but did not have an ear for anything I had to say. My car has been at the MBWC dealership since April and after calling AGAIN general manager called to tell me they had not realized my car was still there and that after a couple of days they would start charging me storage. The last attorney I spoke to told me I didnt have a case because the amount of money I would get would not be enough to cover his attorney fees. He is greedy. I am still making payments on my car. Also result of the cel being on the problem with the transmission was missed. I now need another transmission which I got an estimate of $2200+ and the cam shaft issue $7000+. I really need help. There is a lot more but so much to type. Is there anyone willing to help steer me in the right direction?

I wanted to post this to hopefully let potential customers know what to ask their dealership when thinking of purchasing a GLC 300. I apologize for the long length, but, think it will give some insight into the possible multiple problems. Keep reading: My wife and I purchased a 2016 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4Matic in March of 2016 - - our first and only Mercedes. Within 6 months of purchase, the brakes starting to emit an ear piercing squealing when in reverse. We contacted the dealership and were told that there was a design problem with the brake pads and new parts were being worked on.In the interim, the brakes started squealing in forward as well. We waited from September, 2016 until the beginning of 2017 before new pads were put on. Later in the year we began to hear tire noise inside the vehicle. We had a second maintenance service scheduled and done on December 9, 2017 and informed the dealership of the tire noise. After their investigation, we were told that we needed to purchase new tires, although, the mileage on the tires was at 18,935 miles. The Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires on the vehicle are rated for 65,000 miles. At the same time, we also experienced a clicking noise near the drivers door. The explanation for this was noise coming from the high pressure fuel pump. Not sure why we didnt hear the same noise when the vehicle was brand new. Also, the brake squealing also started again. We were informed, after having to ask, that Mercedes was working on yet another fix, but, parts were not yet available. We are still waiting for the new brake parts. This was just a prelude to what was coming. On January 4, 2018 my wife was driving home from work. The vehicle began to shake, sputter, and she could not get the vehicle to accelerate. By the time she reached home, 8 miles, the car was smoking profusely. After contacting the dealership, the car had to be towed. We were contacted the next day, January 5, by the Service Manager. We were told that a call was placed to the engineers in Germany because this had never happened before, even though there are several posts on various internet sites that dispute that statement.Due to the dealership not having a loaner vehicle available, we had to rent a car from January 5 until January 15 this was reimbursed by Mercedes. On January 15 we did receive a loaner vehicle from the dealership. On January 24 a call from the dealership informed us that the torque converter had gone bad and needed to be replaced. The mileage on the vehicle at this time was approximately 19,500 miles. Finally, on January 30 we received a call indicating our vehicle would be ready on Thursday, February 1. We met with the Service Manager upon arrival at the dealership and reviewed all the issues we experienced with the vehicle up to that point. We then began driving back home. When we were about 20 miles from home, a check oil level indicator message appeared on the instrument panel. When we arrived home, I checked the oil level and found that it barely registering on the dipstick. We were instructed to have the vehicle towed back to the dealership. They started looking at the vehicle on Monday, February 5. They called and informed us that the oil had not been touched in any way during the torque converter work, but, they needed more time to determine where the oil was going. They will continue to investigate as of tomorrow, February 3.

E500 2005 40k miles. Routine check up as MB suggested! Problem: oil/fluid leaked on garage floor with a big spot (a lot of fluid). 4/19/2016 drop off the car for MB dealer service. 4/22/2016 they sent me a report about the leaking oil/fluid. Reason: The fluid leak appears to be coming from the transmission pan/13 electrical connector. The repair would be similar to a transmission service. Open transmission pan, replace filter, gasket, electrical connector and torque and clean area of leak. $758 VIP discount = $658 + tax.I called and emailed MB customer service to help about this situation. I believe they stand behind their products. They called me back to let me know that it is out of warranty even the car is 40k and take a good care. They can not do anything. I found out she never talked to the service dealer to find the issues of the car. Bad customer service, irresponsible! She needs to understand the issues before she talked to me but Nope! At 2AM after being off for nearly 10 hours, the passenger seat of my 2007 GL450 caught on fire in my garage, nearly catching the house on fire and killing my dogs who were in the garage with the car. I reported this to Mercedes (MBUSA) and asked that they inspect the car because this was clearly a defect. The internet is littered with stories/complaints of GL450 seats catching on fire (Google GL450 fire). They said they would inspect it. After much prying, they never did an inspection. A friend with a GL450 called Mercedes to ask about these events that are on the internet that I had forwarded to her. They told her that no one had ever submitted a formal complaint on this, that they had never heard of that and she should not worry. This companys disregard for the lives of the people that buy their vehicles is appalling. You buy these cars because you think they are safe, yet when the company has been contacted on numerous occasions about a defect that has the potential to kill people, the company does nothing to fix the problem and lies to customers saying they have never heard of a GL450 catching on fire. Its as if they dont think we can search for things on the internet. I will never trust Mercedes again. I cannot believe they knowingly leave these cars on the road with seat heater defects that are literally like bombs going off when the car is unattended in a garage. This company has no respect for human life.

I bought a 2010 MB C180 at an auction. I had slight accident damage and the key was broken in the ignition. As a result, I was not able to start the vehicle. I contacted one of the local dealerships and they were unable/unwilling to assist me in getting a replacement key. Please assist me in getting a replacement key.

I have a 2004 E320. It has what appears to be a cracked left side fuel sender. Or so it seems!? This is a common problem on E class models - as Im more than sure you know. Campaign 2008-020001 covers this exact problem on 211 models 2003-2006, which my car is. However, when my VIN was run at the dealer, it is supposedly not covered!? The service manager tells me it’s ridiculous, that it’s again more than obvious it’s the same problem or defect. Yet not covered. He suggested I call Mercedes and after an “investigation”, I was told nothing would be covered!? An investigation that included or predominately was decided over, the fact that I have stopped regularly servicing my car at the dealer! My car looks and runs like new other than this problem. In fact I researched it and found the recall because I wanted it perfect as to trade in or sell and replace it! So Mercedes wont cover a problem that has 1,000s of complaints pending with the NHTSA. I cannot fill my gas tank because if I do, the backseat (driver’s side) fills with fumes and my children complain. I pulled the backseat in the service area parking lot, and we opened the hatch and saw the gas sitting in the sender (see attached pic). It was like we were looking at the pictures attached to the campaign!!! Yet not covered!?I have owned 3 Mercedes Benz in my lifetime. I can honestly say that I firmly believe they are the best constructed, most reliable, and sharpest looking cars on the road. I have spent years telling everyone I know, anyone that would listen, that once you own a Mercedes Benz, you cant own any other car. And I routinely argue with my BMW loving best friend (a luxury car dealer) over which is the better vehicle. My car has reached 125k. Its time for a new Mercedes. If any part of you believes I will ever buy another Mercedes when the company will not in good faith fix my vehicle that is so obviously having a problem that is manufacturing defect, then you are out of your mind!Im no idiot. I realize if you have even bothered to read this far into the letter, the company could probably care less about one consumer. But you will have lost a truly faithful customer who wouldve never bought another brand. And whom will exhaust my fingers and wear out my iPad on every blog, website, complaint site, NHTSA hotline, and anywhere else I can to be sure that I will deter as many people as I can from ever buying a Mercedes because a multibillion dollar company didnt stand by their product, and fix a maybe $1,500 problem. If you took the time to read this and take the time to compare my symptoms and pics to that of the campaign (and Im sure millions of complaints), then anyone with any power and want to do the right thing will help me and keep me on team Mercedes!

I purchased a brand new E250 convertible on January 23, 2012. Today is the July 23, 2012, my car has been rattling since it was 2 weeks old. It has had a new shock absorber, new bearing, windscreen replaced, bonnet re-aligned new parts to the A frame, roof greased, dashboard taken apart and now it is having its very own sound byte test. I will never purchase a Mercedes again. I thought I would be getting a beautiful prestigious car. Haha, how wrong could I have been.

Got the car on 1 November 2013. Four times the car engine went dead suddenly while I was driving on a highway at 110km/hr, once at 80km/hr, and once at 60km/hr. It give a sign of slippery road, refer to your manual. I was forced to steer to the side of the highway before the car came to a total stop. Must quickly turn on the ignition twice to restart the car. Sometimes it gives wrong warning like you should take a break now.... which is to warn that I am not driving straight. The car was sent back for service. A service man said was a small problem and they have fixed it alright.Unfortunately, it happened again. Now the car is in the service center again. It has been a month already but I they have not figured out what is the problem. Me and my family insist on returning the car. Terrifying Near-Death Experience! For the first few days, I did not hear from the service center until I sent an email to the head office in Malaysia, cc to head office in Germany. Immediately they called to say I could use their s-class Merz until the total diagnosis is done. I refused cos I want to return the default car. I cant sell my car in order to buy another but I am paying installment RM3000+++ I have sleepless night. They said depreciated write off cost would be very high if I am to sell the car. Why I need to bear all the cost? Been searching on the internet and I have found that there are similar cases happened to other Merz owners.

I highly recommend Mercedes-Benz. I have 1996 w124 250d with the OM615 engine non turbo version for last 3 years, currently 500,000 km or even more. No problems with it, everything works smoothly like it was built yesterday. Fuel consumption is great 6.5l/100km on motorway. I love the suspension in this car, it feels like driving on a cloud. I would say that its one of the best engineered cars ever made. Car is very reliable and never had any major issues with it. Also service parts are not expensive and widely available and doing service or even changing brakes is very intuitive and doesnt cause any trouble so everyone who owns set of basic tools can do it. I understand that the car is almost 20 years old and some people might think its awful and ugly, I suppose its up to individual taste. I personally love old-school cars. Used to own 1990 BMW e30 325i, 1991 VW Golf gti and 2000 BMW E46 320, them cars where not bad and it was fun driving them. But w124 gives me so much driving pleasure.

I went to get my car serviced and requested if they would make sure they would wash and clean my car; specifically, vacuum the car trunk. The service fellow assured me that they do it for all cars that they service and it would be done. Well it wasn’t. I expected they would wipe the seats, clean the glass but all they did was a shabby vacuum job and washed the car mats. When I called and complained to Gordon, all he said was sorry they were supposed to vacuum the trunk but I guess they didn’t. He went further to say that they usually don’t clean glass or wipe the interiors at all. But he would mention it to the manager. It was such a cold response from the service provider at Mercedes Benz. He could have said, “Well, whenever you can come by, we will clean your car,” but he offered nothing. Useless cheap service. When you purchase a high-end car, I believe the service and customer care after are very important. It is such a turn off, that I wouldn’t buy another Benz because of the lousy, “give a damn about the customer” attitude.

Purchased this vehicle in Nov 2015... Today 6/5/2016 is the THIRD time my vehicle has malfunctioned. I will call the dealership again on tomorrow to pick it up and bring me courtesy car to use. Same problem over & over. The car will for no reason chug chug to a halt w/o warning... all the warning lights on the dash come on. It will barely coast and crawl. Luckily it has happened close to my home. The first time MB replaced the wiring harness and a control unit. Was fine for 3 wks then happened again. SAME THING. They kept it 2 wks... Told me it was safe and fixed!!! I received the repair order w/ nothing done to the car on it. Now it has happened again. I will NEVER purchase a MB ever again. I dont feel safe in this vehicle. I paid a lot of $$$ for a STAR emblem... and nothing more.

WORTHLESS 2019 Mercedes Benz C300. Purchased a brand new 2019 Mercedes Benz at the end of July 2019 with only 20 miles. The car stopped accelerating and was towed to the dealership Oct. 4 2019. The fuel pump was replaced, there were loose bolts/wires, the trunk latch was fixed and for some reason they replaced the charge air cooler which had nothing to do with the original issue. Picked my car up around 4:30pm October 10th, drove it 40 minutes home and the Low Coolant Warning light comes on. Immediately notified the dealership and my car was towed BACK to the dealership around 8am October 11th. They first stated that I needed a new water pump but then said that there were wires loose in the dashboard so they removed the dash and fixed it.While my car was in the care of the dealership about 60 miles were added onto my leased car and they ran over a nail. So my tire had to be replaced also. Finally received my car back around 4:30pm after work on October 16th, drove 30 minutes and the low coolant light popped on yet again. Immediately notified the tech and he stated that someone will pick my car up Friday October 18th. No one came to pick up my car and now I have an scheduled appointment for Tuesday October 21st. During this time, I have spoken to the managers at the dealership which directed me to file a complaint with Mercedes Benz and I did.I spoke to two customer reps which the first rep named Jack hung up on me. The second rep escalated my call to a manager named Roman whom said he would call me back but never did. It’s ridiculous that I am held to paying my money for a car that I have not had for three months on top of the fact that it’s been out of my possession for most of the month of October, added mileage that I will never get back on a leased car and continuous problems on a NEW 2019 Mercedes Benz.

2014 GLK 350 with 7k miles, I bought certified last month. My 8-year daughter didnt closed door properly, I took car off parking lot and came to street then sudden beeps with picture indicating door is open. I tried to find a spot to stop and close the door, just missed being rear ended because of this. Customer service told that car will only alert you about this when moving 5-10 miles an hour and driver is responsible for making sure all doors are locked properly before shifting out of park. What a luxury, what to alert to driver if car is already on street with speed and what driver can do. The technology is built into car to alert driver but too late. It should alert before driver starts moving and to top of bad design if driver door is not closed properly and driver tries to close it properly with moving slowly, some pressure on brake the transmission shift to park. Why it is shifting to park to make car stall even if driver dont expect to completely stop and just closing door properly while moving in very slow motion. Also ECO mode engine does not stop more than 80% of time with no A/C running. They should change design of alerting drivers beforehand about loose doors or trunk, it is not 19s car. Probably if this is not taken care of, never Mercedes again for me and my friends.

I got a very nice Mercedes Benz new B Class - a demo vehicle that has less than 3k on it and its diesel. A reasonable price deal was agreed upon and according to the MB dealer, fuel filler would be sorted before collection. No chance. Two fuel flaps later and after they have collected (Greenoaks Slough) and put a chip on my windscreen, they cant fix it to get it fitting correctly. MB customer services wont do anything and say its the way the vehicle is designed. Yes. They do MB cars with bits that dont fit. This is my first MB, I am very pleased with the car but not the after sales. This is no better than a back street car lot with a second hand car salesman. I had a C class loan vehicle while they had a look at my vehicle and its fuel filler flap is just perfect. I know its a different model but the principle is the same. It also proves that MB cant do it right. Why, MB? Never again, Im afraid!

Leaking fuel sensors on Mercedes Vehicles... Everyday, I run into more people with this problem. The dealers and Mercedes Benz Corporate only care about one thing >> PROFITS. If you are lucky, they may cover half of the parts and charge you the labor to repair/replace the leaking sensors. Just hope that your gas tank does not need to be replaced. They are getting hundreds of calls a day on these Leaking tanks and sensors. This will end bad for Mercedes One day in the near future someones house is going to burn to the ground because of leaking Fuel in the garage next to the water heater. My wife had the problem in her CLK550 2007. The dealer Fletcher Jones of Newport Beach gave us nothing but trouble and getting the problem fixed. Her car has 7000 miles on it. Shame on Mercedes Benz of America and Fletcher Jones Motorcars of Newport CA for NOT doing the right thing for their Customers. This is a Serious fire and explosion Hazard. The fix can run 1300 dollars all the way up to 3500 dollars if you need a new fuel tank. The estimates online say that as many as a million vehicles are using these defective Sensors (I think it is a lot more). Keep in mind these sensors are located directly under the rear passenger seats under access panels. In my wifes vehicle, we actually smelled the gasoline in the cabin and the garage. Also note all of the leads and electrical lines going into this sensors in contact with the raw fuel/gasoline.Defective products are not just inconvenient for consumers. When products fail due to bad designs or manufacturing flaws, they can cause injuries and cost consumers significant financial loss. Manufacturers have a responsibility to comply with industry safety standards and to WARN consumers of any potential dangers. If physical injury or financial harm results from their failure to do so, and when other consumers have suffered losses similar to yours, the manufacturers may be held legally responsible through class action lawsuits and complex multi-district ligation (MDL).

I am having a dispute with my dealers service. I had my r350 towed on a flat bed by a contracted towing service provided by Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance due to a flat tire that had recently been plugged. Luckily, the car was been driven in town at a slow speed and not at highway speeds with my children in the car!Extensive damage was caused to the under carriage and to the BlueTEC line because of this tow. I havent been with my vehicle or even an offer of a loaner vehicle, since Aug 31, 2011. Neither the dealer nor the towing company are taking any responsibility for the damage. I have finally directed the dealer to just repair the bare minimum so the vehicle may be driven. This experience has tainted my trust in Mercedes-Benz. I have every intention of disposing of both my wifes r350 BlueTEC as well as my E63 AMG. These two vehicles are my 5th and 6th purchases of Mercedes-Benz products. You can rest assured that they will be my last. If your are interested in salvaging a once loyal customer, I would be happy to discuss the details further.

Im one of the unfortunate people that purchased not one but two vehicles that fell into the terrible HVAC issue (2015-2018). I had a 2015 GLK and now have a 2018 GLE. Both have the known issue of the horrible vinegar, mildew smell that comes out of the AC every single time you turn it on. There was a class action lawsuit that required them to fix this issue, but they find loopholes and of course their technicians cannot explain why my car isnt covered, even though my VIN clearly shows that it should be covered. After Dec 2020 you were supposed to be able to go into a dealership and have the problem fixed.I took my car to the dealership in Pleasanton, CA, the service coordinator confirmed the smell immediately. After looking at the car she called to say the tech also identified immediately but then went on to say it wasnt covered... but couldnt explain why. After she had told me that they had in fact fixed several vehicles with the same issue a few months prior... my EXACT model and year.I contact Mercedes Benz USA. After reviewing my complaint they offered a goodwill credit of $300... towards a $613 repair. They said they considered customer loyal, the age of the car, service, etc. So Im not sure why I didnt fall under that umbrella... Ive had 2 MBs, I sent over all service records, my car only has 50k miles... and I worked for Mercedes in my 20s in the SERVICE department filing claims. I am the definition of customer loyalty. This is just a slap in the face. It took me over 20 years to finally buy my first Mercedes (I had wanted one since working at the dealership) and its an accomplishment, I should be proud of my vehicle. But Im embarrassed to have people ride in it. This is supposed to be a luxury vehicle and it smells rancid.I am so disappointed that they would rather lose a customer and their reputation over a few hundred dollars. They clearly do not stand by their product or their customer service relationships. I would completely understand if this was just MY car but it affected over 2 million cars and covered 3 years... I ended up with 2 of them and I cant even get one of them fixed. Needless to say Im done, its just the principle of bad business, I dont believe in it. I support those that support me. I feel cheated.

I am writing concerning my new S550 with the above referenced VIN number, w
I am writing concerning my new S550 with the above referenced VIN number, which I picked up on May 16th from authorized Mercedes dealer, European Motor Cars of Devon, PA. I am a long time Mercedes owner and anticipated the continued combination of outstanding service and performance that has been the hallmark of my experience and for which Mercedes is renowned. The service at the dealership was excellent and I began the two plus hour drive home secure in the assumption that my decision to continue as a Mercedes customer was well founded. It was during this first drive that I noticed a minuscule stone strike the windshield adjacent to the rear view mirror with the result being a minute round indentation at the point of impact. I was initially alarmed that so small an object could cause such trouble but subsequent examination revealed the impact was tiny and almost imperceptible.I continued enjoying my new S550 on the daily commute from home to my medical practice until June 4th, when I was shocked to discover a new, approximately 15 inch long horizontal crack from the left side of the windshield to the passengers side. Unlike May 16th there was no observable incident or cause behind this new crack. I subsequently thoroughly examined the crack from outside and could not identify any sign of an impact site. Later that day, I called the MBUSA customer service center to report the windshield crack and ascertain what remedies were available under the vehicles warranty terms, especially considering I had the car less than three weeks. The service representative I spoke to advised me to take my car to an authorized Mercedes dealership service center where the windshield would be examined. I was also told that it was not necessary for me to return to my dealer, European Motor Cars of Devon, PA for service as long as I took the car to an authorized Mercedes dealer. The next day I made the arrangements and took my car to Mercedes of Massapequa in Massapequa, NY.The service manager examined the damage and suggested that what had probably occurred was a tiny stone had struck the windshield. He further advised me that unfortunately he sees many S550s with cracked windshields based on the high definition of the glass used in Mercedes windshields; the problem is one that Mercedes is aware of and one that Mercedes is working diligently along with their European suppliers to correct. He also advised me that based on this issue and the corresponding large number of S550s requiring replacement windshields, there is a long back order period, currently over 30 days, and accordingly I would have to wait until the end of July before my windshield could be replaced. He assured me that based upon all these issues, especially the known windshield defect, he would call MBUSA to make certain my windshield replacement would be covered under my warranty.Unfortunately, when the service manager called me back the next day, he told me that MBUSA denied his request to fully cover my windshield replacement under warranty. He told me that the approximate cost for the windshield replacement would be $2,263.00 and I was being offered a 50% valued customer credit by MBUSA with the end cost to me being more than $1,000.00. Considering my long standing relationship with Mercedes and the facts and circumstances particular to this issue I decided to call MBUSA directly. I asked for the representative assigned to my situation and was informed only that ** was my representative and that he would call me the next day. Despite this assurance I never received a call from **, and after waiting for his call, I decided to call him directly. I called several times and left several messages on his extension requesting he call me immediately to discuss my concerns. Despite this, none of my calls were returned by ** and after growing frustration I called another customer care representative to express my displeasure. It was during this call that the representative ** finally answered his phone and immediately and without provocation began haranguing me in a most unprofessional, discourteous and frankly rude manner. He claimed that the windshield is not a warranty issue and that I would be obligated to replace it myself for the full cost cited by the Massapequa service manager, without the discount previously offered. When I expressed concern with the condition of the car and the possibility of issues associated with driving the car with the windshield in its current condition until the late July date I was told when I could expect service, ** sarcastically told me that perhaps I should instead rent a replacement car from Hess Car Rental, but that I would still be responsible for lease payments in the interim. Following this reminder of my payment obligations, ** hung up on me. I have tried to repeatedly to call him again to discuss my concerns, without success, and without the courtesy of a return phone call, despite my repeated voicemail messages. After a myriad of unsuccessful attempts to speak to ** again, following my only phone conversation with him, I decided to address my concerns with his supervisor. When I again called MBUSAs customer service center and requested to speak with a supervisor, I was told that what I was asking was impermissible. I was further told that the only customer service representative with whom I was allowed to speak with was **; the same ** who had treated me so disgracefully and who had hung up on me during my one and only phone call with him. I was and remain shocked at the statement that my request to speak with a supervisor was denied and that I would only be permitted to discuss my situation with a single customer service representative, especially one who had treated me in such an unprofessional, rude fashion. Is this the policy for all of MBUSAs customers or am I, as one would suspect, the sole recipient of such shabby treatment? Since my phone call with ** I have called several authorized Mercedes service centers to inquire about the availability of an S550 windshield replacement. Every call was answered the same, no windshield replacements are available, several cars are awaiting the same service and the problem concerns a defect that both Mercedes and its suppliers are actively working to address. Since my initial call with MBUSA on the 4th a new secondary crack, approximately 30 inches long, has appeared just above the first. This new crack, along with the first, has rendered the vehicle unsafe to operate. Additionally the rising heat and humidity substantially increases the risk of further cracking and the potential for a catastrophic windshield failure, this is unacceptable. As initially indicated my experience with Mercedes has on the whole, until this most recent incident, especially the outrageous treatment by ** and the MBUSA telephone customer service center, been satisfactory. However I have previously had issues with Mercedes, issues which I was subsequently forced to address through lemon law litigation. The result of said litigation was a nearly unqualified vindication of my claim. I would prefer to resolve this current situation amicably but am prepared to assert my rights vigorously through but not limited to the same procedure. This current situation is made additionally urgent by virtue of the fact that my car is currently operating with a Pennsylvania dealer inspection sticker and has been since my purchase on May 16th. This sticker is valid for 30 days and therefore expires tomorrow, June 16th. The vehicle will not pass inspection in its current condition and is therefore now unusable. I therefore demand either my vehicle be repaired and restored to drivable condition immediately or I be provided a replacement vehicle by Mercedes without charge until such time as it is repaired and returned to a drivable condition. I further demand that any replacement vehicle provided be at least equal to or superior then my current vehicle, model S550. If said replacement vehicle is of a lesser quality, an appropriate adjustment must be made in my lease payment. I would also expect the full cost of the repairs be covered under warranty. Failure to respond and adequately address these demands will result in immediate action being taken through civil litigation, consumer protection enforcement and any and all other applicable processes. With that in mind your immediate attention and response to this correspondence is anticipated and expected. Thank you for your attention to this matter and I look forward to your immediate response.

My name is Sibongile **, I have a serious concern Mercedes Benz Constantia Kloof Roodepoort, Gauteng. Firstly: I brought A class 160 classic Mercedes Benz only for fixing of the starter, they made a quotation and we agreed on the price which was R15 177.10 and I paid the deposit of R10 000. Surprisingly when I call them to make follow up, Ive been told that the car is losing power. They assume that the problem is on the petrol pump which need to be replaced. Again, they did second quote of R24 583.30. When I went to collect the car, there was another fault of sensor which need to be replaced. Again, the price went up to R32 797.50. The mechanic Jan told me that when they test drive the car the car loses the power again.I called them to find out if the car is okay but they asked me to come to the workshop they want to show me something, they told me that there is other faults in the car that involved ABS or Computer box, the car still giving them same problem of the power. Firstly Mercedes refused to diagnose the car and find all the problems in the car, they do it one by one which I dont understand. Before fixing my car they were supposed to give me the full diagnosis report because there are the specialists but they failed to do so, they told me that the mechanic does not allow that. They are using assumptions all the time. I am frustrated and running short of cash. I might lose my car, even now the car is still with them. Please intervene on the matter. I am so frustrated and running out of cash.

I took my Mercedes Benz two weeks ago for service. The vehicle while idling accelerates on it own. Another issue when I press on the brake, squeaky sounds manifest. The button that ascends the rear shades doesnt work. As of today, Mercedes in White Plains has not called me to let me know whats wrong with my car. It appears Mercedes Benz reputation for good customer service is truly in decline. The staff has been nothing but unresponsive and inattentive to customers needs. Purchased a new 2015 GLA250 4matic. Had nothing but problems with the car. Last Saturday it was not drivable at all anymore (so much for a almost new car). Roadside assistance from Mercedes made me wait 4 hours after they decided not to show up at all. Me, my friends called them several times. We got hanged up, put on hold for a total of 75 minutes. Had to go back on Sunday so they finally could tow it. Called customer service and they did not care at all. Too bad. My last Mercedes and also as a shareholder I am disgusted by their behavior.Updated on 11/07/2016: My now 2 year old GLA has to go to the dealership for the 5 time for repairs. The car is an absolute nightmare. The quality of MB has gone down badly and they are truly not worth the price. For 40000 I could have gotten a super equipped x1. I have to say again: after my lease is over I never go back to MB.

Engine light continued to come on then go off. Weeks later the engine light came on and stayed on for several local miles. Immediately took for service. Had 60,000 maintenance done, oil change, other. Engine light stayed off. Drove to S Florida. Engine light came on again. Took to reputable foreign car specialist. Needed # 4 engine coil. Engine light off. Few (short) weeks later - engine light on. Immediately returned to shop. Needed # 4 coil replacement. Few (short) week(s) later - engine light on. Then engine light off & stayed off. Shipped to VA. Engine light off. Drove short miles - engine light on again - this time I returned to the VA foreign car specialist to determine why the light keeps coming on. Same symptoms over and over since before 55,000 miles on a well serviced car. Summary: This car needs a # 4 cylinder (head?) replacement, plus there is a TSB from Mercedes on this engine for known problems. Mercedes Corporate (told me I was not loyal to the brand) refuses to stand behind the vehicle. Corporate passed to a dealer whom I did not purchase the car from. They of course are unwilling to help. I have not gotten help anywhere. NOW I ASK YOU - Will you purchase a Mercedes knowing it could need a new engine @ 55,000 (+/- ) miles? No car with 55,000 miles should have these kinds of issues let alone what used to be the top luxury car. It is not the customer who is not loyal to the brand - it is the company who is not loyal to the customer and dropping the makers ranking from number one to number three (or below). I need a sound engine in my car. BUYER BEWARE when buying Mercedes Benz. [Note: If this saga ends on a reputable note - I will update this posting.]

Sporty, stylish, and great performance... I love the Mercedes C300. Disappointments - interior is stylish but feels plastic-y and cheap. The seats aren’t real leather and they eventually crack.

My C300 Mercedes Benz with approximately 52,000 miles started to have an electrical problem about June 1, 2016. While driving at night, the headlights just went out: completely dark. I was very concerned about my safety, pedestrians and other drivers on the roads & highways. This problem occurred repeatedly over several nights and I decided not to drive at nights for next weeks. I took the car in to Mercedes-Benz of Miami (AutoNation) in Miami Gardens, FL. The diagnosis was that the wires to both headlamp units was corroded and would steadily deteriorate to where the headlights would become totally inoperable. This is outrageous that Mercedes Benz has used inferior quality electrical material that would corrode in a car with only 50,000 +/- miles. Of course, the repairs are not covered because the warranty expired at 4 years or 50,000 miles and the extended warranty expired 4 years ago. The cars sunroof also leaked and flooded inside my car on two (2) separate occasions. I paid the Dealerships to fix these leaks but the last repair was not done properly so now I have water and leaks every time it rains which is now nearly every other day during the summers here in South Florida. This leaves a damp, musty, moldy smell inside my car. Im unable to open the sunroof to dry out inside properly because the little PLASTIC lever broke as Id attempted to open the sunroof some months ago. Everything about Mercedes Benz quality has steadily declined to using inferior, cheap quality and plastic materials. That is why there is so many increase of RECALLS on all makes and models of Mercedes Benz cars and SUVs. Poor INNOVATION, PERFORMANCE & SERVICE: MBs Motto!! Customer Service Manager, Atlanta, Corporate Mercedes Benz USA offered a $260 - discount towards repairs to me, a twenty-eight(28) years loyal repeat Customer who has owned several Mercedes Benz cars since 1988! What an insult!!

I would like to complain about an incident that I had with my Mercedes car
I would like to complain about an incident that I had with my Mercedes car and needed information is attached: copy of the car license including the chassis number, car owner name, car model, with the rest of the required data; pictures of the car after the incident to show the severity of the incident and to imagine the danger the passengers faced because of the weakness of the car body of the vehicle; picture of the car after the accident and after the body destruction of the car with the severity of the incidence and the fact that the air bags did not open at all which caused the passengers to suffer from extreme injuries; a scanned copy of the police report, including the part which declare the non opening of the air bag after previewing the police proof.First, weakness and negligence and recklessness and ill received of the complaints of clients, particularly the receptionist on the phone and example of this is the denial of the existence of customer service employee. After requesting to speak to the director, she transferred the call to the customer service employee in charge.Second, after examining the car at the workshop after the incident, there were specialists who refused to give a report about the situation of the car, and of deficiencies in the vehicle which caused the non opening of air bags which was extremely dangerous to the passengers. We require to have our rights back with direct compensation for the size of the injury to the passengers of the car in order not to damage the reputation of the company in Egypt or we will be forced to resort to the parent company abroad or to contact the legal authorities specialists in this matter to give us our rights. I require documented investigation with the staff of the company because of behaving in an inappropriate manner with the customers in a company such as Mercedes.

My wife and I leased a brand new E350 almost one year ago. My father has the same car and we had driven every iteration he has had over the years so we were very familiar with the car, and liked the way each of his drove. The car had issues as soon as we drove it off the lot, loose parts, noises in the trunk, and rough/unpredictable shifting of the transmission. The loose parts and noises were fixed when we took our new car in to the dealer 5 days after we picked it up. They also replaced the rear tires. The car still shook and shifted roughly. So since the dealer we bought it from still had our traded vehicle, I suggested it would be best for all involved to return the car and we would leave with our trade but they refused. I contacted MB corporate and wrote letters to the President of MB North America. I was told to continue to bring the car in for service since that was what the warranty is for, but I find this completely unacceptable for such a pricey car. In almost of a year of having this car weve only driven 4500 miles because we feel the car is unsafe to drive. We pursued a lemon-law case, but since the descriptions on the repair orders are written by different people who are interpreting the problems the best they can in limited space, and since the shifting issues are intermittent, the Board ruled against us even though the car exhibited the unpredictable shifting/acceleration on the way to the hearing. We have been treated poorly by the dealer we leased the car from, and from MB Corporate who makes the Customer feel like there is no real issue with the car even though a search has revealed that the 7 speed transmission in these cars are not working correctly. Weve asked that MB re-purchase the car so we can get something that performs properly and that we feel safe driving. My wife has had issues on the highway because of the unpredictable acceleration of the car, when you expect to pass or avoid a car and you press on the gas, sometimes the car does not initially respond, and then lurch forward unpredictably. One of the board members hearing our case stated that modern cars exhibit a 2 to 3 second delay when accelerating because they are not connected to the carburetor the way older cars were which is just nonsense, but thats who is reviewing these things. I am shocked at how MB treats their Customers. I never received a response from the President of MB NA by the way. I can provide all my e-mails, letters, and repair orders if needed. MB portrays themselves as a premium brand but they treat their customers poorly and step all over them with a legal team and experts who can easily confuse board members hearing lemon cases. MB could have taken back this lemon and I would have purchased a more expensive model if they were good business people, but they are more interested in forcing the Customer to pay for a sub-standard car so that they can hold on to their image as a prestige brand which in my experience it is not. Ive had Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, and Mercedes automobiles and Ive never had anything close to this type of experience. We continue to bring the car to the dealer which has been a major inconvenience and not what you expect from a brand new car.

Top notch German made car. Drives like a dream, very few mechanical issues and is truly luxurious inside. This car is both beautiful and functional. It’s got the traditional Mercedes look and classic feel that gives a nod to the past while driving you into the future.

I called the head office to make a complaint about the disappointing service and treatment I received from the Brentford Mercedes body-shop. Basically I was not happy with the feedback I received. The reason for this is the original estimate had been completely changed; instead, I felt the body-shop was cutting corners at my expense to satisfy the insurance engineers. I was now getting second rate job done on my car that could also depreciate the value on my four-and-a-half-year-old car. I was involved in an accident, but I was not at fault; however, both I and the other driver both have the same insurers. The only difference is that I recently did not renew with them. I am insured with another firm. My problem with Brentford turned into a complaint. However, when I called their head office in Milton Keynes, I was left reeling because they were on the immediate defense making me out to be a trouble-maker and even tried passing the buck. I was spoken down to at the point that I didnt know if this was for real or a blood joke. There was no customer satisfaction. I felt my complaint was dismissed and no investigation was going to take place. I wish I had never bought from them and never will again. My advice to anyone is if you do buy a Mercedes or smart car, dont expect the excellent service because there isnt such a thing. And if you ever have a complaint, be aware that the head office’s customer service team is like the Mafia. If there is anyone out there who had the same experience, I would love feedback on where to go to get heard.

Moved my Mercedes A160 auto to wash it. Washed it, got back in car and it wouldnt start. Ignition key turned but the starter motor was inoperative. Breakdown- took it to main Mercedes dealer for repair under warranty. After a working on the car over the weekend and most of Monday, service manager decided there was a fuse missing. If there was a fuse missing, why did it take Mercedes trained mechanics all weekend (managers words not mine) and most of the following day, to locate a missing fuse, when the fuse panel is staring you in the face underneath the drivers side carpet. Charged me £171. Complete rip off. Will never entertain Mercedes again.

I have driven Mercedes Benz for nearly a decade. I have trusted the brand; I have trusted the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Fort Lauderdale. However, recently this trust was betrayed. Additionally, I have always purchased my cars there, and always taken my car there for service. I recently took my car in to get the lights replaced. A week later the car was ready. As I drove off the parking lot, I opened the glove compartment, and it fell to the floor. I quickly called my service advisor; he suggested I take it in as soon as I could. And I did; after assessing the damage, the service manager called me and became argumentative, refusing to take responsibility. He not only betrayed my trust, he insulted me, his last words were: We are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. This is not remarkable customer service; in fact, its no customer service at all. The damage is self-evident, an obvious blunt force and trauma to the glove compartment. A client for a decade; I was planning on purchasing my next car there next year; not to mention, I spent close to $4000 on the lights and back breaks. If you want quality, chose a different dealership.

I purchased a brand new Mercedes Benz E350 4MATIC Sport from Fort Washingto
I purchased a brand new Mercedes Benz E350 4MATIC Sport from Fort Washington Mercedes in PA. My son and I took delivery of the car and as we were going home we heard a loud burst and the tire pressure monitor indicated malfunctioning rear right tire. The rear tire blew out at 40 miles odometer reading. The part that worried me the most was I lost control of the vehicle when it happened and was on the verge of hitting a car on the right lane. The emergency service in the car did not work. I had to call my insurance company for roadside assistance. It took them more than an hour to come and replace with a spare tire. There are numerous reports about E350 tire blowouts but I did not take them seriously and purchased E350 but I do not feel safe with this vehicle anymore. Im under constant worry of tire blowout and accident. I paid lot of money for this car and also purchased stress and fear. Note that tire blowout at high speed can cause serious accident and you never know when the blowout would occur. Im not sure what options I have but Im going to talk to the dealer. This car can put you in harms way. I realize now how serious the tire blowout problem is. Please be careful if you intend to buy this car.
