2025 Mercedes-Benz EQB

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQB is the brand’s compact electric SUV, offering a blend of practicality, premium design, and all-electric performance. Positioned between the smaller EQA (not sold in all markets) and the larger EQE SUV, the EQB serves as a versatile choice for families or buyers looking for an entry into Mercedes’ electric lineup with available three-row seating.

The exterior design remains faithful to the EQ family’s styling cues while keeping the boxier proportions of the GLB it’s based on. A black-panel grille with an illuminated Mercedes star, seamless LED light bars at the front and rear, and aerodynamic wheel designs distinguish it as part of the EQ lineup. The squared-off body shape allows for better interior space, giving the EQB a more practical edge than some of its sleeker EV siblings.

For 2025, the EQB lineup offers multiple powertrain options. The EQB 250+ uses a single motor driving the front wheels with around 188 horsepower, optimized for range and efficiency. The EQB 300 4MATIC adds a dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive, producing roughly 225 horsepower, while the EQB 350 4MATIC ups output to about 288 horsepower for stronger performance. Driving range varies depending on configuration but generally falls between 240 and 280 miles on a charge, depending on battery size and conditions. Fast-charging capability allows the EQB to recover a significant portion of range in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions.

Inside, the cabin mirrors the premium feel of Mercedes’ other compact models but with EQ-specific details. Twin 10.25-inch displays—one for the digital instrument cluster and the other for infotainment—come standard, running the latest MBUX system with EV-focused features such as range management, charging station navigation, and energy usage displays. Voice controls, wireless smartphone integration, and over-the-air updates ensure the system remains current and user-friendly.

Seating and space are key selling points for the EQB. It offers standard two-row seating, but buyers can opt for an available third row, making it one of the few compact EVs on the market with seven-seat capability. The second row slides and reclines for flexibility, and cargo space is competitive within the class. While the third row is best suited for children or shorter trips, it adds versatility for families needing occasional extra seating.

Materials and finishes reflect Mercedes’ luxury approach, with options like leather upholstery, wood trim, and ambient lighting available. Higher trims or AMG Line packages bring sportier styling cues and additional features such as upgraded wheels, sport seats, and unique interior accents.

On the road, the EQB emphasizes comfort and quietness, with smooth acceleration typical of EVs. The dual-motor versions offer strong traction and stability, while the single-motor EQB 250+ maximizes efficiency for longer-distance driving. The ride is tuned for daily comfort, though AMG Line models sharpen handling slightly without compromising refinement.

Safety and driver assistance technology is comprehensive. Standard features include automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring, while optional packages add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, lane-centering assist, and a surround-view camera system.

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQB stands out by combining the practicality of a compact SUV with the refinement of the Mercedes brand and the benefits of electric mobility. With multiple powertrain options, available three-row seating, and a focus on comfort and usability, it offers buyers a flexible and approachable way to transition into EV ownership without sacrificing luxury or practicality.

NEW ML 350 Bluetec - You will never get the fuel consumption indicated by the on-board computer. It consistently understates consumption by more than 1 litre/100 km (or 11.4%) - this had been verified by MBSA. This software problem, as well as the stop/start function that only works 50% of the time, had been reported nearly 2 years ago to them via the respective dealers. 6 Months ago they confirmed that a software patch will be developed to fix the wrong calculation. After numerous follow-up emails, Allis feedback is now that their R&D advice that the current calculation of average fuel consumption is within the design tolerances of the ML... What a big tolerance for a product range costing nearly R1m and claimed to be the Best or Nothing. I have to accept that the ad hoc working of the stop/start function is also within the design tolerance of the ML.

I have a Mercedes-Benz sprinter van that has been in the dealer for over six weeks now. Mercedes-Benz has done nothing to help out in the situation. No loaner car even though I asked for one. I just sit here and wait for my sprinter van to be fixed and still nothing is being done. I am paying insurance and massive car payments for a car that I cannot even use.

Perhaps the best description come from the dealers who have worked on my car: Your car looks like new inside and out; your car drives like new; you dont need a new car; and recently, May we put our name plate on your car. Comments from consumers have been better than those of the dealers. My comment is that I am grateful for the privilege of owning and operating this vehicle! It has been cared for very well by its past and current owners.

I was totally disappointed that GLK 250 does not have spare tire, nor run flats either. Sales person at Weber Motors in Edmonton never mentioned about this during the car walk around. During the last two weeks I got three nails and found not having a spare to be highly inconvenient. MB Canada has to make it mandatory for dealerships to inform customers about new situation with all BlueTEC vehicles. There also must be a choice for Canada to have a spare tire mounted on the rear door. Fuel economy or other concerns associated with this are not their business.

First off, Ive always been an advocate for Mercedes Benz having owned 2015 c class, but I have to say Im utterly disappointed with the recent service by Benz hence the 2 star which should be a 1. Im currently driving a 2019 A220 sedan which if it drives normally, is an absolute breeze. Unfortunately, Ive not had that pleasure of driving without a problem. From inherent breakdowns, to various warning lights turning on. There was a recent recall for this vehicle, mind you, but after the recall I’ve had countless visits to the MB repair shop, Im still having the same issues. My mileage is just 16,000. I am truly sad right now and feel let down by MB. I would surely reconsider my commitment to your brand.

CLS 63 AMG - I have had 6 wheel rims crack in the first 100 kms. Each dealer will not put me on to customer complaints and no one returns any of my calls about this. The only excuse I got was after the GFC Merc will not warranty any parts. They wanted to charge me $7,800.00 for a new exhaust system, telling me it needed to be totally replaced. I took it to a Mercedes repairer aftermarket; the muffler had a crack near the cats, a 2 hour repair job. I phoned back Mercedes Benz - they emailed me that they don’t do workshop welding and that they only replace it with new, sorry.

I bought Mercedes E350D 2016 from Mercedes Liverpool about 2 months ago. 16k on the clock, manufacturer approved. On the way home I noticed that the car starts to vibrate when I press the brakes. I contacted Mercedes Liverpool and they said that I need to go to the nearest Mercedes and fix it and they will cover all costs. I paid £1200 to change brake pads and disks and rear alloy wheel. Mercedes-Benz of Liverpool did not pay me anything, they keep saying my different stories. They said that they already sent money into my account, then they said that they issued check 2 weeks ago, then they said they need to get an approval from head office and so on. When I contacted Mercedes Customer Service, they replied to me saying that Mercedes-Benz of Liverpool had already paid me by the check so I had to go back to Liverpool to confirm that but they said: No we are still getting an approval from head office. Absolutely useless service!!! Worst service ever.

I am writing this letter to state my displeasure with having to replace the front rotors on my 2011 Mercedes E350 Blutec with only 30,584 miles. This is our fifth Mercedes starting in 2007 with an E320, a C320, E320 CDI, CLK350 and the current E350 Blutec. Each car was driven about 15,000 miles per year by both drivers, averaging 70% highway, 30% local. We have never had any problem with brakes, rotors or anything in that area. Our current Mercedes E350 Blutec has the sport package. On September 12, 2012, we had the front right tire replaced because we hit a pot hole that ruptured the sidewall of the tire. The tire was replaced by Quirk Mercedes of Bangor Maine, mileage 26,375.A summary of the succeeded maintenance By Brumos Mercedes of Jacksonville, FL follows: Service on October 17, 2012, car mileage 29339, for regular Flex A Diesel special. Right rear tire found to be worn bald. We ended up putting 3 new tires on the car. Total bill is $1,156.45. Service on November 12, 2012, car mileage 30,584. Incoming customer complaint: Very noticeable heavy vibration appears at most highway speeds. Service checked balance on all tires. The 3 that Brumos replaced checked okay. The RF tire that was replaced on September 14, 2012 by Quirk Mercedes of Bangor Maine needed to be rebalanced. Post service comment: There is a brake vibration at highway speeds coming from the front rotors. A cost estimate to replace both front brake rotors (brakes pulsate when applied) of $535.90. Total bill is $24.88. We now have a time period when we did not drive the Mercedes very much. Service on March 8, 2013, mileage 31,569. Note from last service visit: We discovered a noticeable vibration that appears when the brakes are applied at 35MPH and higher speeds. Customer has felt the same condition in the steering and in the drivers seat. The tech stated it needed front rotors. Service note 31580 found front brake rotors with excessive rotor run out causing a vibration when braking. The tech then replaced the front rotors, front pads and new sensor. Road checked okay. Bill total is $556.16. Our service advisor, who we like very much, informed us that the run out or warping is most likely caused by overheated brakes that cool unevenly such as keeping the brakes applied in the same spot after stopping or running through water with hot brakes. Nowhere in the Mercedes manual is this discussed.I would think that the excellence of German engineering would design rotors that would stand up to these conditions. I hesitate to declare a design flaw, but perhaps the design margins have been compromised for some other consideration. In any event, I really do not want to face another rotor replacement in another 30,000 miles.

The bumper of my new 2017 E Class fell off after barely touching a parking bumper like you find in many parking lots. The bumper does not even have a scratch on it. The dealer says that this is common and they fall off all the time!!? Mercedes Corporate will only definitely understand how I feel. How can a force small enough to not even scratch the paint on a bumper make the bumper fall off?! To add insult to injury, the bumper is not in stock, and I will have to wait a few weeks to get the car repaired. Definitely my last Mercedes. $2600 to repair, and no end in sight.

My 2000 S-500 has been a real piece of ** and now the trade in value is less than a cheap Nissan. I purchased this piece of junk in 2003 with 37,000 miles and have had over $40,000 worth of factory repairs under the original MB warranty and with the extended warranty. And yet, still this hunk of junk continues to break down. Now that this overpriced status symbol is almost worthless. I have learned my lesson. Mercedes Benz and all of your snooty dealers can eat my shorts. I will never purchase any more of these quality cars again. Keep your overpriced garbage!!!

I purchased dealership certified GLB 250 with 7000 miles on it. The car was not driven for few months due to covid. After car had 15,000 miles and was due for maintenance, I was informed that the tires needs to be replaced. The car is less than a year old and drove 8000 more miles when we were informed to change the tires. I contacted the dealership to find out the reason for tire replacement only on 15000, I was informed that the tires are performance tires and are good for 15,000 - 20,000 miles only. This is unusual for a luxury car to have low performance. The brand has a reputation of a durable and sturdy car but to my disappointment I had to deal with the this issue on only 15,000 miles out of which I only drove 8,000.I contacted the Mercedes Corporate to talk to consumer affairs and spoke to Caroline who informed me that she will talk to dealership to take an action for goodwill and brand reputation. The solution provided me was poor and a negligible discount was offer. I am not happy with the Brand, the customer relations, customer service and the dealership.

After continues complain I have received only mail & call but no technician has turned up till now. Also the website sources show that the particular VIN (**) belongs to C220 model & year of manufacture 2006. I am surprised whether I had purchased a new car or a used car? Towards the end of May 2013, I went to Mercedes Benz in Durban Old Fort Road. I wanted to book my car (2003 - S320 CDI) for minor repair and service. The service adviser Zain ** spoke to me and explained that the workshop is busy and that I should return on the 5th of June 2013. I explained to him that receptionist (the lady that does the booking) said that there was space for my vehicle. Zain insisted that I return on the 5th of June and so I obliged. On the 31st May 2013 I took my car for steam cleaning and body wash.On the 5th of June 2013, I returned to Mercedes Benz Durban to have my car repaired and serviced. I was attended to again by Zain. I explained to him that I was unhappy with the way my car was idling; it was idling rougher and louder than normal. There was also a small rattling noise in the engine compartment when listened to with a technical ear; I myself am a diesel technician by profession though I am retired. I told him about the car having a lack of power on takeoff points and smoking when going up hills. I also mentioned that he should attend to the fault that they had diagnosed in August 3-8 2012. Zain, the service adviser, started the car and tried to listen to the noises I had complained about. He said he did not hear any noise, and asked me where am I hearing the noise. I said that the noise he is hearing is exactly what I am complaining about. He insisted that there was no abnormality. At this point I had to tell him that this is my car and it is an S Class. It does not sound like this normally. He then wrote on the job card, Rattling noise in the engine, in a way that showed that he was not taking my complaint seriously. I then told him that the noise is not inside the engine but in the the engine compartment. He then asked me to relax, the technician will diagnose the fault; I must just sign the job card. I signed the job card and left in hope that all the issues that I had raised would be dealt with.A week later I received a call from Zain. He told me that they had diagnosed the problem that was giving me concern. He said that the EGR Valve needed to be replaced and that it is the cause of the idling abnormality I had noticed and it also causes lack of power on takeoff points and smoking when going up hills. I was happy with the response he had given me and asked him if my insurance would be able to replace that for me. He told me that he had already spoken to my insurance company and they said that they only repair the engine not anything outside the engine. I told him that it was fine, he should go ahead and have my car fixed at my expense. Two weeks later I received a call from Zain. This time he called to tell me that my cars engine had packed up while parked at the car park after the EGR Valve had been replaced and the car was left and ready for collection. They said I should come and have a look at it. When I got there, the car was on the ramp, the sump was off and smashed and one bearing cap was left on the floor. Rian, the Group Leader, accused me of having the car fixed before it came to Mercedes Benz in Durban because it was very clean underneath the car and he also suspected that it had been in an accident. I told him that I had never been in an accident and my car has never been fixed since the last time I had brought it in August 2012. I told him that my car was clean because it was steam cleaned on the 31st on May, Just before it came to them. I asked him why the sump was open; he said the assessor asked him to have it opened. He further told me that they have found 3 main bearing caps loose in the engine. I asked him if the checking of loose bearings was also an instruction from the assessor. He didnt respond to that question. He only said that the person who was working on the engine forgot to torque it properly. I asked him how was it possible for my car to travel 95,000 km with loose bearing bolts? He then said he wanted proof that my car was steam cleaned underneath. I then went to the service manager, Gerald, and told him that I dont understand how it is possible for the car to smash its engine while parked in the car park with the key not in the ignition. For me with my technical background, it sounded impossible. I also mentioned to him that Rian had made very serious accusations and that those accusations can lead to very serious consequences. I asked him to please do a full internal investigation in order to find out what really happened to my car.A few days later, I received a call from a person who told me that he is the service foreman. He said that the Dealer principal was not prepared to take full responsibility for my car though it was damaged in his premises and he didnt give any reason as to why that was so. He also said that if I want to discuss anything regarding my car I should speak to Zain, the service adviser. He then hung up the phone. This was very stressful for me and I thought that maybe they wanted to see proof that my car was indeed steam cleaned underneath. So I went to the car wash where my car was steam cleaned and they gave me a copy of the receipt. I took this receipt to Zain, the service adviser, and he took it and told me that he would pass it on to management. Seeing that everything had come to a standstill at Mercedes and management was now unwilling to help uncover the truth about my car I remembered that Rain had told me that my cars EGR Valve was replaced by an elderly black man. If I am not mistaken his name is Enock. I found out from other workers that, that man is unqualified, was not supposed to have worked on my car. I confronted management about this and requested a full report from every person who was involved with my car while in their premises before it was reported damaged. I also requested a report from the person who physically removed and replaced the EGR Valve. I never received a response regarding those requests.I heard that Enock, the mechanic who removed and replace the EGR Valve in my car, was taken in for cross examination by management but none of the findings of this were shared with me. I also heard that the workers were threatened that if they shared any information with me that they would be fired. So whenever I go to Mercedes Benz, everybody who is an employee at the workshop avoids me even though I am a customer there. I have phoned the service manager on numerous occasions and I have left messages for him but he did not respond to any of those calls. I then wrote a letter to him. In this letter I expressed that I have been trying to get a hold of him unsuccessfully for the whole week. I have since written three letters to them and have only received a letter from their lawyers as a response to my letters. I have enclosed all my correspondence with Mercedes Benz Durban.I am frustrated with the service that I have received from Mercedes Benz Durban and its management team. It has very little regard for its customers. It is not the first time that I have received terrible service from them. Last year when I sent my car in, in August 3-8 2012, I reported to them that the Mercedes Benz tool kit that is standard in the car as well as the pay as you driver device is now missing from my car and that the insurance company has tracked the device as last being operational in their premises during the period that it was with them. I was told that they do not know what I was talking about and no investigation was conducted even though I gave Zain proof of this from my insurance company (Please contact me for more information regarding this)I would really appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and for this issue regarding my car to be resolved quickly and amicably because I am now without a car and as a result I am very stressed.

In November of 2018 I purchased a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 from Mercedes Music City in Nashville, Tenn. It had 20,000 miles and several months left on the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. I live in Gainesville, Ga so flew there and drove it home. After driving it for 700 miles the check engine light came on and took it to RBM Mercedes of Roswell, GA. They found a few particles of something that was never identified residue in the fuel tank. I also found out the prior owner had check engine light issues also. RBM and Mercedes corporate determined it must be something I put in there and it contaminated the whole fuel system and now it needed $15,000 worth of repairs (whole fuel system needed replacement). I had driven it 700 miles and put 2 tanks of fuel in it. They refused to fix it. I did a lot of research on the internet. They charged me over $1,000 for cleaning out the tank and fuel lines and I left. I took it to an independent Diesel mechanic who tested the injector pump and said it wasnt putting out enough pressure. He replace it and the lift pump in the tank. Cost for repair was $2700. Pump was a warranty item. There was nothing in the old pump. It was just defective. Dealer and Mercedes misdiagnosed the problem and will not pay the repair. They insist they were right. The woman I spoke to at Mercedes was arrogant and didnt give a crap what I had to say or what I could prove. If you’re thinking of buying a Mercedes- dont. Buy a different Vehicle. This will be my last Mercedes.

Mid November my C-350 would not start. I had it towed to the ONLY authorized repair shop in Dayton OH, Bob Ross Centerville. After several days and repeatedly calling them, I was finally told that my fuel pump went out as well as the wiring had melted and the level switch needed replaced. Oh and by the way this will cost $1850 give or take a penny. 9 days later the repairs were complete. I paid my bill and life appeared to be good again. I was humming along for a whole 9 days and lo and behold a siren like sound emitted from the rear of my vehicle, namely the fuel pump area. This occurred 3 1/2 days ago. I now cannot get a return phone call and I have yet to receive a diagnostic. Is it really asking too much to get an update on my vehicle?! I wish I could contact someone from Mercedes Benz and explain to them that we have another fine choice for our automobile repairs called the Foreign Exchange. But by Bob Ross having a monopoly it is giving Mercedes Benz a horrible name. Please Mercedes address this issue before I choose not to own another one of your cars. Your name has always stood for quality and I am concerned that this repair center does not.

My car is a 2013 Mercedes smart car. It is without saying absolutely wonderful on gas in town and on the highway. It has sunroof, electric windows, back windshield wiper, and heated seats. I wanted a car that was small but safe. I watched several crash videos and consumer reports before purchasing and paying cash. I get excited every time I drive it. It has an awesome amount pick up. It can also be drove manually and gets great gas mileage. However, I would include a simpler manual for how to diagnose all the electrical untangle figures that pop up on the dash and a meter or tool to reset. It has no place jack or spare tire too. But I am incredibly pleased with my purchase.

I took three vacations in this rig and had DEF warning problems two of the trips. Driver told me he was called 3 hrs ago and they did not know what the interstate even was, and they would not pay his price. I am sitting in a hotel in Ohio waiting on the dealer to give me an answer or I start driving a Enterprise rental the 1400 miles back home. No offer of a loaner from anyone. I racked up $3,000 in expenses here. MB says to save the receipts to present to a board that decides in 30 days if they qualify. This is a LEMON. I want MB to buy it back. The vehicle is extraordinary and has served to my expectation. It is in a pristine condition until today. Satisfied with the vehicle and quality of service here at Chennai, I had bought another Benz in February 2007 (S350K) through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. for about Rs. 82 Lakhs. It had no major or minor problems until December 2010. I had a minor problem with the front wiper controls in 07 Dec 2010. The wiper starts to behave in a funny fashion even when the vehicle is parked and locked. This posed a huge problem. Even after the service on December 2010, the wiper problem was not rectified. It was resent back to the shop on 06 Jan 2011 and subsequently for the same problem on 12 Jan, 30 May and 29 Jun. Still, even after this much attention and care, the problem exists and I was not offered a complete or even a remotely satisfactory answer for the problem. Even more, I was charged for the same unsolved problem by your people again and again.I had mailed you regarding the same but with no clear opinion except a mail for the same. Yesterday, I had to drive the vehicle as my chauffeur was absent. Unexpectedly, there was rain. The wiper did not function in spite of repeated attempts. I had to park the vehicle in the highway and could only start when the rain stopped after an hour. My question is, when my old vehicle is reliable and has no problem, why should an advance model have problem? Why am I not explained of the problems in spite of multiple inquiries and services at your authorized center? Why was the problem not rectified during the service of the vehicle? Why was there no satisfactory answers/replies about the problem from your people at Chennai? If you want more details of the receipt and fees, I shall be able to send it.This failure on the highways could have caused an accident. It is pathetic that a reputed and time-tested concern should deal with a problem in this unconcerned manner in spite of strictly adhering to schedule for maintenance. I hope that my problem will get attended here amicably.

Good afternoon. I am a Mercedes C300 owner and recently I have had some problems with my car not starting...I took it to the RBM Mercedes in Alpharetta, Georgia for diagnostic review. The diagnostic presented with a problem within the steering column which caused the vehicle to not respond. I in turn looked up info on this problem and have noticed this to be an ongoing and unaddressed issue with the make and model years 2008-2009.My question to you, upon communicating my concerns to the service center who currently has my car for repair, is, what are you doing to rectify this problem and since it is an ongoing concern why has a recall not been done on this or why are customers being charged upwards of 1500.00 USD to have these repairs completed. I for one know the cost of repairs for a car in this category of cars, but I do not feel it appropriate that because an issue within the manufacturing of this vehicle is a cause for repair should I have to pay to have an identified manufactured deficiency repaired. I am very disappointed that this has occurred a number of times and nothing has been done to rectify the expenses incurred in this matter.

I purchased a Mercedes 500 SL from Mercedes dealer in Wisconsin. The car was shipped to me to Houston, Texas. It was 2006, the car was still under factory warranty. The first month I bought it, the transmission went out so I took it to Green Bay Mercedes dealer. They put a brand new transmission. 2 years later, I shipped to Jordan, Amman. The transmission went out again, so I took it to a Mercedes dealer in Amman. I had to pay this time, $4700 to rebuild the new transmission. I am so disappointed with Mercedes Benz now. I feel like I just bought a lemon.

In one year I’ve had to take my vehicle into the dealership twice, both times for the rear wheel being bent sideways. Mercedes technicians say the wheel (just the wheel) was hit to cause the damages, two times in one year the same wheel bends sideways??? Mercedes will not take any responsibility for either manufacturing defect, poor workmanship or incomplete work. I’m trying now to get Mercedes Benz to stop washing their hands and blaming the consumer(s) on a clearly manufacturing problem. If anyone has had the same issues with their vehicle, please let me know. This GLE43 AMG is a lemon!!!

My daughter bought a Mercedes Benz four years ago and I co-signed on it. I have never made a payment on it and she has paid every month. Last winter when they were having some financial problems, she was late with a payment. From that point on every month that she is one minute late with her payment, although still in the 15 day grace period, we get harassment calls. They start at 8:00 in the morning and again at dinner time. This month, she made a payment on the 7th and they are still calling every day, twice a day to both of us and it is the 28th. What the hell is the matter with you people? Financial Services lost a payment in May and it took them four months to find it. In the meantime, they are calling every day for that May payment that they already had. I have never seen such Mafia techniques in any company in all my 69 years not to mention a poorly run financial department that cannot keep track of the payments that are made and lose some of them and then start harassing customers for their own mistakes. I would never buy a Mercedes Benz product just based on your financial services harassment tactics. There is no reason for this kind of treatment. I intend to contact every consumer complaint organization I can find and send them a copy of this letter online, offline, by mail, and any other way possible.

We have owned our Mercedes C230 since we bought it new in 2007. The Mercedes has outlasted our BMW 325i and our Toyota Tundra. The car still drives like new. Of course we have had regular maintenance performed regularly, just like we did on the previous mentioned vehicles. As of today, everything on the Mercedes is working properly. Unfortunately we can not say the same about the BMW or Toyota. Don’t get me wrong, the BMW and Toyota still had strong engines, it was the many little thing that went wrong. I would strongly recommend the Mercedes. We have purchased an E class Mercedes and are confident it will be as great as our still C230.

I was enticed by Mercedes to buy this car. I was told that there would be only 150 in the United States and that you could never buy the same model with the color of the anniversary edition. That was all fine. They did not sell the color and there were only 150 made. However!!! When the 2019 E400 came out you can walk into the showroom and buy the car with the same color as my 25 year anniversary edition. Very poor of the mercedes company to do that. I have owned probably 7 or 8 Mercedes in my life, and I have bought last one I will ever buy. The car has devalued a lot because of this. I am looking into filing with the Better Business Bureau against such lousy practice of such a large company. I will never buy another Mercedes and I will tell everyone to never trust what they have to offer. So please!!! In my opinion look elsewhere before you buy and overpay for a Mercedes... Look at Audi or BMW before you trust this company.

I bought a brand new special ordered gl 450 2014. In 6 months, I took it back 3 times to the dealer. Transmission is banging in to gear. They kept it 2 days. Updated a program and problem is worse. Its now jumping on the highway. The dealer said drive it for a month then bring it back if it happens again. It happened while I was driving out of the dealer. No help and I just spend 90 grand on a Gl 450. Never again I would buy a Benz or recommend anyone to buy a benz. Poor service. They experiment on your vehicle.

If I could start by giving them 0 star, I would have. But unfortunately youd still have to give them something. Let me start by saying that if anyone wants to see my email records or phone conversation records that I had with MBUSA, feel free to reach out and I will provide them all to you. I leased a brand new C300, full package just about 3 months ago. Starting the moment I played any music, I heard a noise coming out of the doors, mainly the front doors. So, I reached back the dealership within 2 days, and I said there is this issue with my car. Sure, bring it back to us and our shop team should be able to fix it for you, said the dealership to me. The car is brand new, and its under 100% warranty. Long story short, over the last 3 months, I was given a loaner car for about 20 days! 5 different times, they had my car to work on it, different dealership, and yet, they are still not able to fix the issue. The issue comes in whenever I use the bluetooth to make a phone call, listen to any music, or playing a radio. The shops have tried changing the speakers, doors, entertainment system and so on. None of them fixed the issue. So what I did was that I thought I could call MBUSA and have them get involved with this major issue.Irene **, Executive Referral Manager, the person who I started communicating from the first day, told me that, Were sorry that this issue is within your car, and we are here to help you out. Sure! So, she offered me a $100 gift card to a restaurant! My first reaction was that, Are you being serious? She said, how about a $200 gift card to a nice restaurant where I could take my friends and family for a night. My reaction to her words was just unbelievable. I said there is no way that a customer would say yes to this, where they have to deal a car with a broken entertainment system for 3 years! How would you want this to go away?Anyhow, I emailed her, and I noted the conditions that Im willing to go with at this point, which one of them was to have MBUSA buy back their broken car and give their customers money back. Irene emailed me back (and called) and said Sure! We are going to work on this and it would take about 4 to 6 weeks for us to go over this. I said thats fine. As long as I know thats the case. After 5 weeks exact, she called me and said, We are unable to buy back your car and it is what it is. There is nothing we could do at this point! So, I discussed with her over the phone that, How would you even say that? There is 100% something wrong with the car you support in your region, and you say that you cant do nothing? She, again, said, We are sorry it is what it is and hang up the phone! In the middle of our conversation, she said her own words and hang up the phone! As easy/crazy as it sounds like. So, I got really upset, and I emailed her that, We were talking I believe, and you hang up the phone on me. That is not nice in no business environment. This is no buy it and you are on your own - This is The best or nothing. So after she received my email, she calls me back in 2 hours and said, Im sorry that the answer is not what I thought it would be, but there is nothing I could do. I asked for her managers name or email address where I could talk to them instead. And she refused to provide any. So I emailed the day after, 3 times, and no response. The day after which would be today, she emailed and said the decision was made by her team and Frank **, which I cannot provide you his information. Also, I am not going to reply to your emails after this. So, long story short, please do a bit research on the type of car you want to go with, and make sure you dont have to deal with these people. They are very rude, unprofessional, and untrustworthy and unreliable. I am, in fact going to make legal actions about this and as I have been told, this car is an easy 100% lemon law buy back, by the California laws. MBUSA just dont want to take it the easy way. Just remember, first they tried offering me a $100 gift card to a restaurant and have me let go of this case. Thank you.

My 2002 Mercedes E-320 (purchased brand new) has had many electrical problems and it only has 110,000 miles. I stopped taking it back to the dealer (RBM) a couple of years ago because their service charges were absorbent, I didnt feel they valued me as a customer, and there was always multiple additional problems that they would claim they found wrong, costing at least a couple thousand dollars each time I went in for service. A couple of years ago the cluster failed. The locks would not work, the gas tank it would not automatically shut off, the speedometer would not work, the car was sluggish, etc. The cluster was replaced. The rear right light cluster has been replaced three times. Last October 2014, while driving, the radio abruptly stopped working, the doors would not lock, and the trunk would not lock automatically; I had to manually lock and unlock the doors and trunk with the key. According to the mechanic, a couple of fuses needed to be replaced. He disconnected the wiring for the radio to work until the fuses were replaced, but the doors would not lock and the trunk could not be unlocked. He replaced the fuses and everything was fine until the week of Thanksgiving. Any time I started the car, the trunk automatically popped open and could not be reclosed. We finagled the lock closure on the open trunk with another metal object to lock the trunk while it was open. We then pushed the button to unlock the trunk and it was able to be closed and remained closed until we stopped and restarted it again. This problem persisted about three days and then abruptly stopped. A couple of weeks ago the problem started again. I took the car to the repair shop and the mechanic said he did not know what was going on. He said he reset everything and the problem went away. However, a week later (today) the problem returned. I have to keep a small pair of scissors in the car to maneuver the inside trunk latch to lock the trunk while it is open and then push in the outside trunk button to unlock it and it is then able to close. However, each time I stop at a destination and restart the car, the trunk pops open and will not reclose unless I get out, while the car is still running and go through the maneuvering routine. I called the mechanic and he said he is not sure what is going on; I would have to bring the car in again. If bad fuses caused the issues in October, could there still be a bad fuse or could it be something that he did not reconnect?

I have such disappointment with the service of my GLK350. I am a multiple MB vehicle purchaser. The dealership does not care and I realize that. I was told I needed $3000 worth of repairs. When my extended warranty kicked in the cost was $2000 but I now need $1400 for brakes. I spent $1900 for breaks 17 months ago. I have had headlight problems so often the police will not even ticket me because they realize how often I had to get it replaced. I have to tell you I am grateful that I only have one year left in payment but MB lost a loyal customer. I am done with your brand. I have nothing good to say about your brand or product. No, I take that back. There is. 72 year old semi retired gentleman in customer service that had great spirit and customer service. I could see the young service men treat him unfavorable. He had great customer service and appeal. MB could learn a lot from him.

My wife recently exited our C300 MB to come back into our home. She came back to the car only to find it had driven off down our hill, thru our brick pony wall and finally thru our neighbors boulder ditch. 7 weeks later, the insurance company totaled the car. In the meantime we have been complaining numerous times to MB head office over the fact that the car has always exhibited a safety feature in which it shifts into park automatically whenever, and every time, the door is opened. The one time we needed it to, it didnt. Failed completely and now we have lost our car. What really is disappointing is the fact that MB USA has completely ignored this and frankly if this safety feature doesnt perform, then the next time the car runs away on someone, the results could be more tragic than it was this time. Shame shame shame on MB for caring so little to even address this with us.

This experience is from Finland. Last year, we purchased a new MB180B and the next day we got the car, I had to get it back to the dealer. I had problems starting the car, and when I finally got it going, it was twitching forcefully. When the engine became warmer, the problem was gone. At the workshop, they started to study the car, but nothing was wrong according to the car computer. But the guy from the workshop said that he thinks there are problems with a component called crankshaft sensor. So, he ordered a replacement component, but then things started to be really strange. The factory said that they will not deliver that component, and I asked why. They told me that this particular component is on the do not deliver list. Finally, they told us that there will be a new different component as a replacement.Well at this point, I made a claim against this and the reason is that a manufacturer is not allowed to deliver cars or any constructions if they know that there is a failed component in it. Or at least they are supposed to inform the customer of this possible problem and then he can decide what to do with it. Anyway, after a few days, I got the car back and now everything is okay, and so on. It wasnt. The same problem came back. The car was back in the work shop, and this has gone now several times. At the moment the car is at the work shop. I already told them earlier that they should get me a new car to replace this one or give me my money back. They told me that is totally an unreasonable claim. A new car which doesnt work, is it so unreasonable to expect that new cars should be okay? Also, during this experience, it has been really hard to get in contact with anyone. The dealer is totally worthless. The car importer is really hard to deal with and the manufacturer in Germany doesnt answer in any messages. The first one I sent half a year ago. Now, I have a lawyer to take care this, and I also took contact with LRQA (Lloyds) who have certified their ISO9001 based management system.Of course, I am angry about the car itself, but also because of this habit of delivering cars included with components that they have themselves declared on not-to-deliver. I was told by them that it is totally normal to replace these kinds of components during a normal service. Actually it is not. It is a hidden/silent recall, and that is against the law and against the ethics as well. We will see what happens. But I would like to give a warning for all possible car buyers of this kind of actions from Mercedes-Benz.

GLC 300 SUV - This was my first Mercedes and it has turned out to be a huge disappointment. The brakes squeak so loud that you can hear me backing out of the driveway for blocks. I am contacting you on behalf of my brother who owns a Mercedes C220 CDI Avantgarde since December 2009. After being told that the galvanized steel is rusting on the rear wings, it broke down - unable to start. The garage replaced the alternator, water pump and the belts, but while returning home, some dashboard lights indicated another fault. He was told not to drive it as a risk of fire. Another garage re-wired it and told him it had been on fire previously. Once again, on the way home, the faults showed up on the dashboard so he had to take it back to them once again. Now, the garage is having to look further into the problem. However, when he got the car, he was not told that the car had been on fire. My brother is not happy because it has cost him 845 pounds. Until now, I would be grateful if someone can get in touch with him. Thanks.

My car was in the shop getting repaired buy Mercedes dealer and he spotted an issue with the paint, the clear coat is peeling off the car creating ugly patches. This is a known issue to MB since 2013. MB has been quietly fixing the cars and has even discontinued the Mars Red. My car is 2014 and has less than 50K. While it was in the shop Hendricks auto gave us an estimate of 5500 to fix the issue. MB said Henricks of Hickory were not OEM authorized so sent us the Hendricks in Charlotte whose estimate was 6500. Same company 2 different prices for estimates. MB called us and told us they were willing to pay 1500 prorated. Granted had we known we would have not bought this car, Mercedes knew though. The dealer even said the some of the local car dealers will still sell the damaged cars and tell customers to go to MB, he basically gave us a heads up that MB was not going to do much if anything at all. The local dealers are not the only one MB was still selling the cars with the MARS RED paint and did not discontinue the color until 2017, shame on you MB. I can say my dealer is someone I have been dealing with for the past 15 years. We have bought at least 10 cars there so I trust him. I am very disappointed in MB and have already decided to buy a Range Rover. I will no longer support a brand that does not stand behind their product and fleece their customers. This says to me MB does not give a damn because people are still going to buy, even their substandard products, the dealer basically said the MB dont care about their customers once the purchase is made. I am going to reach out to Action 9 news and have also filed a complaint with the BBB.

I come to make a statement of the worst auto customer service I have ever had. My wife and I contacted Mercedes-Benz dealer in Silver Springs, Maryland on January, 21st, 2017 to buy a 2017 Certified Pre-owned Mercedes GLC 300 4MATIC. After test-drive and negotiation, we decided to finance the car with a down payment. As it was Saturday evening and MB Financial services was already closed, all financial approval would be done next week.On the next Monday, January 23rd, I was informed by the dealer that in order to get the financing approved I had to cash down 50% of the value of the car and provide Bank Account statements, pay stubs, Lawful Permanent Resident ID and other documents. I was not surprised since I recently relocated to the USA and I already knew my Credit Score was low. So I made it happen by providing all documents required and by doing an International Wire Transfer to fulfill the amount necessary for the buy. As this transfer was done with urgency, I had to pay extra fees to get the money ready for buy.On Tuesday, January 24th, I was informed that the financing would had been approved and I no longer had to cash down 50% of the value of the car, but about 15%. And car would be delivered on Thursday afternoon, January 26th. In the meantime, I got the car insured and pay for the first monthly payment of it. On Thursday afternoon, Delivery Day, my wife and I returned our rental car and took an Uber to the MB dealer. Everything seemed usual until the big disappointment came. After we had signed part of the contract documents for the buy, we were informed by the manager that they did no longer had approval from MB Financial Services to our financing.Long story short, we came back empty handed, or better said by feet. We were rudely sent alway without any worry by dealer staff if we had the means to come back home. Not even a taxi was called. To conclude, together with all financial loss we had (early returning of a prepaid rental car, Uber, auto insurance and fees on international wire transfer), we suffered prejudice for being immigrants, although we are highly schooled people with Lawful Permanent Residency. The reputation of Mercedes-Benz as one of the greatest auto brands simply vanished for me and my family. The Star lost its bright!

After my car had A3 service at the Lonestar Mercedes-Benz dealership in Calgary, Canada on June 21, 2016, the car started an oil leak. The car was diagnosed of a problem with the dipstick seal on July 27. However, it wasnt the real problem after the second check up was done in August 4. The dealer told me that it was the oil cooler seal which is a completely different thing. The problem wasnt really solved since I found the car still had an oil leak the next day and had to send it back to the dealer again. The worst thing was when I picked up the car on August 10, 2016. There was a big crack found on the windshield which was not on the car when I dropped it off at the dealership. Jeff, a customer service mgr, immediately denied and said that it wasnt their responsibility without even investigating the problem thoroughly. I was told that they can only replace the windshield at my own cost, and has formed no room for negotiation. Followed by a conversation with Doug, an operation mgr, who insisted that they wouldnt take responsibility, but would like to share the cost. After a couple of hours of discussion, the thing turned out to a disagreement of what they offered as I strongly think my car was under the dealers roof when it was being repaired. The dealers must be responsible for the problem they caused. How come I have to pay the damage that I didnt do anything about! The issues just keep coming with this dealer. These guys hang up phones, and even impolitely terminated the conversation and left me alone in the office. I felt bullied when they said, We will only give you this offer whether you accept it or not, the offer is firm and unchanged. I dont need any offer. What I need is the full compensation for the damage occurred at the dealer shop!

Buyers beware! You may run into the same problems that I have with a 2013 E-Class Sedan. The car (VIN=**) was delivered on 31 Dec 2012 and shortly thereafter developed a problem with the SmartKey. Take my word for it smart this key aint. It works best when at the dealer, when I first reported that problem with the unreliability the reaction was. This guy is a nut. Always very politely but the message was clear. Fortunately the system fail during a non-related service visit at the dealer. That did initiate some more investigation, after several visits to replace door handles, antennas, etc. the key not detected message, failure to lock or unlock still exists. The final straw was when it was determined that the problem was the clothes I wear. The recommended fix was to use a leather cover over the SmartKey. That failed to make any difference so I have given up and decided to live with the issue until the warranty expires. At that time I decided that the only reason buying a Mercedes could be justified is to impress your neighbors. Because I could care less what my neighbors think. Once this car is traded it will be replaced with ANYTHING but a Mercedes. The other issue is the GPS that must have been designed by a high school student. To update to the latest maps you have to wait until the maps for your car are released. It is astoundingly idiotic that the maps for every year, body style and class are different. Not only that for less than half of the update cost you can buy a Garmin that includes the GPS unit and lifetime maps that have markedly superior performance. So much for German engineering. Having said that, the car is a pleasure to drive on the highway, the roadability and comfort can not be criticized.

Down for service 9 times for wiring problems and sensor failure 2012 SLK350 with only 10700 miles On it. Asked for a discount on extra service contract. Because of repeated problems major system failure, they offered me 100 dollars off a 1200 dollar 3 yr plan they wanted to sell me over the phone. Their executives spend more than that on lunch with wine it was a INSULT. I asked for 1/2 price. No way! told immediately... I now have a rapidly depreciated car I cant get jack for with Carfax. I dont have a chance of getting a decent price if I sold it today!!! DONT buy Mercedes. Make the hurt a prestige auto. Their motto is THE BEST OR NOTHING. I SAY GIVE THEM NOTHING. I have all receipts from Mercedes if others have the same problems.

I currently own a 2006 SL500 with 41k miles on it. The vehicle is very well taken care of and barely looks used. I took the vehicle to the dealership and the valve body needs to be replaced at $2000.00. The bad thing is the part is not even at the dealership - it has to be ordered from Germany. I called the dealership to see if they would be willing to cover the repair even though it is out of warranty and they say call MBUSA. I called MBUSA and I got the response that we need to call the dealership and speak to them. She then proceeded to tell me that I was not a loyal customer and that they may not cover the repair of the vehicle. I said what do you consider a loyal customer, someone who has bought 3 Mercedes Benzes and is a member of the Mercedes Club or is it someone that does not own a Mercedes? The point is Mercedes Benz is not loyal to their customers and treat them rudely when it comes to getting things done. I probably will not buy another Mercedes.

Our 2015 S63 Coupe has leather that is peeling back and shrinking on the dash. Granted this is partially my fault because we leave our black car in the South Florida sun for long periods of time, but a car that cost us $194k plus taxes should hold up a little better in the heat. Even though the car is still under warranty, Mercedes Benz USA will not cover the dash. Needless to say we will not be purchasing another Mercedes in the near future.

Our 300c has approximately 29,000 miles on it and has gone through 2 sets of tires already! Just returned from the MB dealer and was told that the 2d set of tires was of low quality that is why they are cupping. If that was so, why did the original set do the same thing at 15,000 miles? Apparently, there is something wrong with the car design. The quality of the car, a 2010 is definitely not what Mercedes used to build.

My 2006 Mercedes Benz ML350 was diagnosed with a balance shaft problem at another shop. I brought it back to Mercedes Benz of Baton Rouge to check and make sure the diagnosis was correct. The service manager Dan notified me that I did have the problem and that it would cost approximately $6,000.00.I had been talking to MB USA about some type of assistance. MB USA notified MB of BR and promised to pay 50% of the bill. I only had $2,000.00 which I told Dan. I went and borrowed $1,000.00 to repair my truck. MB of BR kept my vehicle about three weeks. I was called by Dan on Wednesday, August 10, to tell me that my vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. I arrived at the dealership at approximately 5:45 p.m. I paid for the vehicle and drove it to Prairieville, LA, approximately 30 minutes away from the dealership. I went shopping at Walmart. I cranked my vehicle at 7:05 p.m. I heard a loud noise and the car cut off. I restarted and I had plenty of codes on the screen. I immediately called MB of BR at 7:09 p.m. and left a voice message about my vehicle. I returned the vehicle to MB of BR the next day. I was notified yesterday, August 16, 2010, that several sensors had gone out and it had nothing to do with the repair work that they completed on my balance shaft. I was quoted $1,700.00 to fix this problem. I only drove the car for 30 minutes, approximately 20 miles, and my car broke down. I was never notified about any other issues with the engine; however, I was made aware about some routine maintenance such as new tires, brake pads, and a shock. I have tried to talk to the owner, Joe, the service manager, Dan and Bryan, who is over at the repair area. I also talked to Gwen and Margie. Bryan told me that I told Dan to only fix the balance shaft problem. Dan and I disclaimed that statement. I never told anyone at MB of BR to only work on the balance shaft problem. I never knew anything about other problems and was not given that information. When I left MB of BR, my vehicle was clear of any errors. Bryan claims that he even drove my vehicle approximately 70 miles and he did not get any codes; however, within 20 miles of me driving it, it broke down. They disconnected the electrical system and removed the motor, and MB of BR is telling me that the new problem did not stem from them working on the vehicle for three weeks.

I have owned several Mercedes vehicles through the years -all of the SUV size. In July 2013, I decided to downsize to the E Wagon which uses the low-profile tires. I have had nothing but bad experiences with flats and bubbles after driving the car for long periods of time. I am on my 9th tire change! Thankfully I have the tire insurance, but Ive asked Mercedes to change my tires to a better quality tire other than the continental tires they keep putting on my car and they refuse. I feel this is a safety issue, especially since I have two handicapped children that I drive around in my vehicle back and forth to school. On Friday this past week, my tire pressure suddenly went low on the driver front side. I drove immediately to the dealer and had him check the tires. They said there was nothing wrong with my tire and said my tire pressure gauge was off. They also said they checked all my tires and they were good. I took a ride on the weekend, approx. 80 miles and upon return home, late on Sunday night, my tire on the passenger front started to deflate. I called roadside assistance and they had to come out after midnight to change my tire. I went directly to the dealer the next morning and they said not only did they have to change that tire but the two rear tires have bubbles on them now. I asked to speak to a manager and they said there is nothing wrong with the tires, that its a problem of the road. Every time I come to this dealer, the waiting room is filled with tire issues and the service managers are telling all of us the same b.s.I think the Mercedes company should be investigated on this issue. Luckily I have the insurance, but this has taken many hours away from me at work and my family having to drive the half hour to this dealer all the time to fix this car. Not to mention how uneasy I feel driving this car is very hazardous. I cant get out of the lease, and upgrade. I tried, but I would lose so much money on the trade. It is not fair. I need help!

Nightmare experience. Was so excited to get my GLA 2015 4 years ago. I had been warned about repair costs but it is outrageous! I was driving on the highway, the car stopped accelerating and smoke went out of the back. The check engine light never came on. I was informed that it needs a new turbo and a water pump, $4700, and there “might” be engine damage. Both have been replaced and the check engine light is now on and the car has been in the shop for two weeks. The mechanic does not seem to know what’s going on or when I will get my car back. I will be getting this disaster of a junk box off my hands ASAP... Total money pit.

When we purchased this vehicle new and picked it up the problems started. The speaker fell out of the wall while I was driving home. I fixed it before my wife gets upset about quality. We took the van to Disney and water started pouring into the van from the roof. Took it in and they fixed it and left a dirty shop towel inside the AC unit, plus dirty finger prints on the panels. Door adjustment on sliding door was not correct. Door would rattle while driving. This was repaired at dealer when oxy sensor went bad. Then the egr valve went bad. Then the AC compress clutch failed and was replaced. They made us pay the labor. AC condenser cooler totally disintegrated and fail into the parking lot in a little pile of aluminum fins. The hide lines stayed intact. This was repaired as well.Paint on the vehicle at 8000. Miles started to chip off every time a bug hit it. Now it looks bad. I used touch up to hide it. They said they would fix it and repainted it, but they never did. Now the serpentine belt and pulley and tensioner are being replaced at my cost. This cost 800 dollars, but they were supposed have fixed this with the AC compressor repair. Anyway, there is more. My van only has 38,000 miles on it. Can you believe this. Mercedes has refused to assist and we have purchased 6 vehicles from them through the years. I guess the German quality is gone and they dont care either.

I am writing concerning my new S550 with the above referenced VIN number, which I picked up on May 16th from authorized Mercedes dealer, European Motor Cars of Devon, PA. I am a long time Mercedes owner and anticipated the continued combination of outstanding service and performance that has been the hallmark of my experience and for which Mercedes is renowned. The service at the dealership was excellent and I began the two plus hour drive home secure in the assumption that my decision to continue as a Mercedes customer was well founded. It was during this first drive that I noticed a minuscule stone strike the windshield adjacent to the rear view mirror with the result being a minute round indentation at the point of impact. I was initially alarmed that so small an object could cause such trouble but subsequent examination revealed the impact was tiny and almost imperceptible.I continued enjoying my new S550 on the daily commute from home to my medical practice until June 4th, when I was shocked to discover a new, approximately 15 inch long horizontal crack from the left side of the windshield to the passengers side. Unlike May 16th there was no observable incident or cause behind this new crack. I subsequently thoroughly examined the crack from outside and could not identify any sign of an impact site. Later that day, I called the MBUSA customer service center to report the windshield crack and ascertain what remedies were available under the vehicles warranty terms, especially considering I had the car less than three weeks. The service representative I spoke to advised me to take my car to an authorized Mercedes dealership service center where the windshield would be examined. I was also told that it was not necessary for me to return to my dealer, European Motor Cars of Devon, PA for service as long as I took the car to an authorized Mercedes dealer. The next day I made the arrangements and took my car to Mercedes of Massapequa in Massapequa, NY.The service manager examined the damage and suggested that what had probably occurred was a tiny stone had struck the windshield. He further advised me that unfortunately he sees many S550s with cracked windshields based on the high definition of the glass used in Mercedes windshields; the problem is one that Mercedes is aware of and one that Mercedes is working diligently along with their European suppliers to correct. He also advised me that based on this issue and the corresponding large number of S550s requiring replacement windshields, there is a long back order period, currently over 30 days, and accordingly I would have to wait until the end of July before my windshield could be replaced. He assured me that based upon all these issues, especially the known windshield defect, he would call MBUSA to make certain my windshield replacement would be covered under my warranty.Unfortunately, when the service manager called me back the next day, he told me that MBUSA denied his request to fully cover my windshield replacement under warranty. He told me that the approximate cost for the windshield replacement would be $2,263.00 and I was being offered a 50% valued customer credit by MBUSA with the end cost to me being more than $1,000.00. Considering my long standing relationship with Mercedes and the facts and circumstances particular to this issue I decided to call MBUSA directly. I asked for the representative assigned to my situation and was informed only that ** was my representative and that he would call me the next day. Despite this assurance I never received a call from **, and after waiting for his call, I decided to call him directly. I called several times and left several messages on his extension requesting he call me immediately to discuss my concerns. Despite this, none of my calls were returned by ** and after growing frustration I called another customer care representative to express my displeasure. It was during this call that the representative ** finally answered his phone and immediately and without provocation began haranguing me in a most unprofessional, discourteous and frankly rude manner. He claimed that the windshield is not a warranty issue and that I would be obligated to replace it myself for the full cost cited by the Massapequa service manager, without the discount previously offered. When I expressed concern with the condition of the car and the possibility of issues associated with driving the car with the windshield in its current condition until the late July date I was told when I could expect service, ** sarcastically told me that perhaps I should instead rent a replacement car from Hess Car Rental, but that I would still be responsible for lease payments in the interim. Following this reminder of my payment obligations, ** hung up on me. I have tried to repeatedly to call him again to discuss my concerns, without success, and without the courtesy of a return phone call, despite my repeated voicemail messages. After a myriad of unsuccessful attempts to speak to ** again, following my only phone conversation with him, I decided to address my concerns with his supervisor. When I again called MBUSAs customer service center and requested to speak with a supervisor, I was told that what I was asking was impermissible. I was further told that the only customer service representative with whom I was allowed to speak with was **; the same ** who had treated me so disgracefully and who had hung up on me during my one and only phone call with him. I was and remain shocked at the statement that my request to speak with a supervisor was denied and that I would only be permitted to discuss my situation with a single customer service representative, especially one who had treated me in such an unprofessional, rude fashion. Is this the policy for all of MBUSAs customers or am I, as one would suspect, the sole recipient of such shabby treatment? Since my phone call with ** I have called several authorized Mercedes service centers to inquire about the availability of an S550 windshield replacement. Every call was answered the same, no windshield replacements are available, several cars are awaiting the same service and the problem concerns a defect that both Mercedes and its suppliers are actively working to address. Since my initial call with MBUSA on the 4th a new secondary crack, approximately 30 inches long, has appeared just above the first. This new crack, along with the first, has rendered the vehicle unsafe to operate. Additionally the rising heat and humidity substantially increases the risk of further cracking and the potential for a catastrophic windshield failure, this is unacceptable. As initially indicated my experience with Mercedes has on the whole, until this most recent incident, especially the outrageous treatment by ** and the MBUSA telephone customer service center, been satisfactory. However I have previously had issues with Mercedes, issues which I was subsequently forced to address through lemon law litigation. The result of said litigation was a nearly unqualified vindication of my claim. I would prefer to resolve this current situation amicably but am prepared to assert my rights vigorously through but not limited to the same procedure. This current situation is made additionally urgent by virtue of the fact that my car is currently operating with a Pennsylvania dealer inspection sticker and has been since my purchase on May 16th. This sticker is valid for 30 days and therefore expires tomorrow, June 16th. The vehicle will not pass inspection in its current condition and is therefore now unusable. I therefore demand either my vehicle be repaired and restored to drivable condition immediately or I be provided a replacement vehicle by Mercedes without charge until such time as it is repaired and returned to a drivable condition. I further demand that any replacement vehicle provided be at least equal to or superior then my current vehicle, model S550. If said replacement vehicle is of a lesser quality, an appropriate adjustment must be made in my lease payment. I would also expect the full cost of the repairs be covered under warranty. Failure to respond and adequately address these demands will result in immediate action being taken through civil litigation, consumer protection enforcement and any and all other applicable processes. With that in mind your immediate attention and response to this correspondence is anticipated and expected. Thank you for your attention to this matter and I look forward to your immediate response.

I purchased my C280 with 7 miles on it. It was the car of my dreams and my very first new car. To make a long story short, five years after purchase and a lot of money invested in maintenance and repairs and no warranty, Ive been told that I need to replace the camshaft plugs, sensor, adjuster, balance shaft, engine mounts, transmission mounts, timing chain and seals. Not to mention, both door handles broke off a few months ago (and to think I blamed my children). Whats worse, the mechanic added that those problems are common problem in C class vehicles from years 2006 to beginning 2008. Basically, the Mercedes Benz company is aware that this problem occurs in their vehicles due to a plastic camshaft that was previously used. Why wasnt I told this while I was still under warranty? Why werent the parts ever recalled? I am so hurt because I cant afford the $5,500 repair on my dream car! The quality I always thought accompanied the luxury of Mercedes Benz is a joke and I cant begin to express my disappointment.

I took my car for service, paid for it but it was never fixed, and after several visits, has gotten worse. They now want another payment. I am writing to you in hope that you can assist me with the resolution to a problem with Mercedes Benz of Sanford. I initially took my car in for service of a part that was fixed but was also recommended to perform a service on my transmission. The car, prior to the service, was operational, but it was pushing a bit and jerked. One of the service men indicated that the problem was something that had to be fixed with a computer program. I had previously changed the brakes, so it was not the brakes. The technician told me that the service was recommended at 50K miles for this car. He performed the service and I paid for it. Unfortunately, the problem continued. I went back to the dealership and explained that the issue was not resolved and they said that they would look at it. They ran a diagnostic program. After they used a diagnostic service, one of the service men said that the car was fixed. I drove out of the dealership and immediately felt the problem again. I drove right back into the dealership and the service technician drove the car and told me that there is nothing wrong. He also said that they used a new program to extend the life of the car, an updated program for the transmission and that I would get used to it. The problem persisted and I was told by one of their managers to take the car to Tim at Mall of Millennia Mercedes Benz. I was ignored even though I had an appointment with Tim, and was told that he was in a meeting with the manager. I asked why they had made an appointment for me when he was not going to be available. They did not answer the question, but put me off again. I ended up leaving and the car was not fixed. I attempted to communicate with the managers at both dealerships as well as with the corporate office, and was subsequently told that there is nothing wrong with my car. The company will not answer my questions or fix my car, and the best that they did for me (case manager, Ms. **) indicated I should again visit the same dealership. On Thursday, September 5, 2013 I was on my way to a job interview and the car completely stopped and would not move at all. I was on a busy highway (436) and could have been in an accident during normal conditions. I was very lucky that there were no cars at that time, a very unusual situation on this road. If I had been on the freeway, I would have been in a bad car accident. After my interview, I took the car in to the dealer again and this time they seemed like they were actually going to fix my car. They provided me with a rental car for the time that their car is in the shop and they said that they would cover the cost of the rental car, as they did not have a loaner vehicle.I told them that I had already paid for repairs that were not originally performed and that I expected them to fix my car. Now they contacted me telling me that they want me to pay $900 for the repairs. I have already paid for the repairs that were never properly done on the car. I truly feel that they never looked at my car and did not fix what was wrong the first time. They have since had my car and are telling me that I have to pay this amount. I have already paid to fix my car and after multiple visits, many discussions and letters to their service center, they have yet to fix my car. I am asking for your assistance to resolve this issue as I feel that I have been taken advantage of through this whole process and that I paid for something that was not delivered. I would like my car to be fixed and have warranty for the repair and the parts so that my car operates properly. I already paid for repairs that were not performed and should not pay for something twice. This is a safety issue and they put my family and me at risk by not performing the repairs. I would like to have an explanation of what was wrong, the repairs. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

2014 GLK 350 with 7k miles, I bought certified last month. My 8-year daughter didnt closed door properly, I took car off parking lot and came to street then sudden beeps with picture indicating door is open. I tried to find a spot to stop and close the door, just missed being rear ended because of this. Customer service told that car will only alert you about this when moving 5-10 miles an hour and driver is responsible for making sure all doors are locked properly before shifting out of park. What a luxury, what to alert to driver if car is already on street with speed and what driver can do. The technology is built into car to alert driver but too late. It should alert before driver starts moving and to top of bad design if driver door is not closed properly and driver tries to close it properly with moving slowly, some pressure on brake the transmission shift to park. Why it is shifting to park to make car stall even if driver dont expect to completely stop and just closing door properly while moving in very slow motion. Also ECO mode engine does not stop more than 80% of time with no A/C running. They should change design of alerting drivers beforehand about loose doors or trunk, it is not 19s car. Probably if this is not taken care of, never Mercedes again for me and my friends.

I own a 1999 Mercedes-Benz ML320 truck. On 13 Aug 2011, a 20-feet wooden telephone pole was lying on a badly-lit street in the middle of the night. No one knows how it got there. Driving 45 miles per hour, (speed limit is 45 mph) I hit it with the front of my car. Then the pole went under my bumper resulting into a broken steering column and a bent car frame. My air bags, however, did not deploy. When I asked Mercedes why the bags did not open, they said that it only opens when hit in certain spots. In the end, my car was totaled by the insurance company.

I bought an ML 6.3 AMG from Mercedes Inchcape with five thousand miles on the clock. They charged me top book price. When driving, I felt the steering was not quite right. I took the vehicle back to the dealership several times and was basically fobbed off. I then paid an independent engineer to inspect the vehicle. His findings were that the vehicle had been in a front end crash. It had had several new panels including wings and front bumper, even the headlight was superglued in. I have stopped the payments on the vehicle and put my complaint to the dealership in November 2011. They eventually sent their manager out in the middle of January 2012. All he did was take photographs of the jeep on his mobile phone! And he eventually sent a letter to my solicitor stating that he could not say the vehicle as not road worthy. This has been explained to him that my complaint is that I was sold a vehicle under false pretenses, as I was not informed of any repair work being carried out prior to me purchasing the vehicle. And if I was, I would not have completed the purchase, as stated I paid top book price ($90K+). I have informed both the dealership and Mercedes Inchcape that I have rescinded the contract with them and I am requesting all monies paid to them be returned to me.

I recently received a declined letter for a Credit Mark dispute. I kindly asked Mercedes Benz Financial Credit department to please reconsider their decision, since Im not in concurrence with their final verdict. My record previous to applying for the Auto Monthly Payments were always paid on time, without a delay. My paid tracking record is impeccable, and Ive never missed a payment.I recently applied for the Auto Monthly Payments for my Mercedes Benz account and I requested the Auto Payment form. I received the adequate documents on April 7, 2014 around 4:50pm. Once I received the form, I submitted all paperwork via fax on April 8th, 2014. The reason I requested the form on April 7th, 2014 is because I wanted to begin the Auto Payments for the month of May 2014. In addition, I was aware that the May 2014 invoice was due on April 21st, 2014 which is the main reason why I wanted to expedite and begin the process early on April 8th, 2014 so my payment due on April 21st for the May 2014 invoice would begin immediately. On April 8th, 2014, I submitted all proper documentations via fax, including an attachment of a VOID check. I called Mercedes Benz several times to follow up if they received my fax and the representative said they would contact me if there were any issues or mishaps. I never received a call or notification. As a result of never receiving a follow-up call, I expected all the paper work to be set up correctly after faxing the forms. Also, I assumed the auto pay would begin effectively on a monthly basis beginning the month of May 2014.Unfortunately, I was never notified that they received my fax. After numerous failed attempts to get in contact with a customer representative, I was able to get a hold of an agent. The agent informed me that they indeed received the fax, but it was considered incomplete because the routing number and account number were in the wrong sections. I was never informed that the invoice due on April 21st for the May 2014 payment would be delayed because I had to re-submit the paperwork. The representative told me since they had to make corrections on my routing number and my void check, I should not worry about any late payments. I was only told to re-submit the paperwork so the Account number and Routing number would be in the correct section. This error should have not have delayed my April 21st, 2014 payment for the May 2014 invoice. Consequently, my credit score was lowered because of this erroneous matter. Im extremely appalled with the lack of comprehension from the agent and misinformation. My credit score should have not been affected, and it was! Now, the auto monthly payments are currently effective on my account, however, during the month of May the Auto Payment form was not effective due to the fact that there was a setback on Mercedes Benzs part asking me to resubmit the paperwork even though the information was all correct. After speaking with several Mercedes Benzs representatives, I did received several apologies for this inconvenience and was told that they do see on their records that I sent out all correct paper work with the void check as well as proof of me calling to follow up on the documents I faxed.Because my auto monthly payment plan was in fact delayed for the month of May 2014, this resulted in my credit score being lowered. I plead with you to please reconsider removing the credit mark of 30 days which affected my credit score. I never had a low credit score, and this is affecting my personal and financial life tremendously. Im disputing this credit mark because the initial request for my Auto Payments should have been completed on April 8th, 2014 and should have been effective immediately without any delay on payment. The forms were ALL complete, filled out with all the information needed to begin auto payments on April 8, 2014, including a void check which should have been enough information. My payment for May 2014 was never late. I re-submitted the revised documents when I was asked to, and I would really appreciate the credit mark being removed and corrected, as I have been a faithful and loyal customer and have an exceptional paying track record. And I would appreciate my credit score not being affected by this glitch that was due to inaccurate information. I would highly appreciate it if this important matter is being taken care of immediately, as its ruining my financial life.

I have a MB 200C Avantgarde Limited Edition 2009. Vehicle has just reached 45000 Kms & diff has become very noisy. The dealership has offered a factory rebuilt unit if I contribute $1500.00. The muffler also has something loose inside. I thought I was buying German excellence for $75,000.00. Never had a new vehicle with major problem at such low mileage. Will probably buy Korean quality at 1/3rd price & keep the change!

I have had two cars now of Mercedes in 2 and a half years. The first one was one of the red ones that they have known about for 4 years and still carried on spraying with this faulty paint. I had not much success with the warranty procedure to the degree that they only wanted to respray the panels affected, this happen to be everywhere apart from one side I argued for a full respray as the car was showing signs of getting worse by the week. I got so fed up that believe it or not I traded it in and got another one. This one was involved in a accident that involved the bonnet needing slight fill and respray. I was told it at to go to a Mercedes approved spray shop so of it went to Looker of Maidstone Kent where the first week it was sent back to me on a transporter. I did not let it be unloaded as it had scratches and chips in the new paint work. Back it went for another week. I was called and told it was ready for collection and when I got there the bonnet was not put on the car straight and the paint work still not good. They told me they had resprayed the whole bonnet but this was a lie as when I spoke to the guy that sprayed it, he said he only went across 3/4 of the way, they also told us they had replaced parts, they hadnt. They also managed to damage one of my alloy wheels in transport which was refurbished. I still think I should have got a new wheel as there was nothing wrong with it when it went in. After week three I got it back. I am still not happy with it as when washing it I have a circular mark on the bonnet. I sent all my correspondence to Mercedes Benz and after 5 days they have told me they are not prepared to compensate me other than the free labor only offered on my next service. They cant understand why I am unhappy and have told me that I have to go to the ombudsman. This is unreal from a so called premium branded company. Anyone that can help me get this out on the internet as they seem to think they are untouchable by the man on the street. My main bit of advice dont buy a Mercedes if you are expecting a good customer service and after care. Poor poor poor.

Is MB serious with the ongoing Takata Airbag recall? I’ve been waiting patiently for over one year for replacement parts. They say... “The defect in your driver frontal airbag inflator on both driver and passenger frontal airbag inflation may cause the airbag to EXPLODE during airbag deployment and could result in metal fragments striking the front occupants, POSSIBLY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH”. Just received a letter saying parts won’t be in until Sept 2018!!! How is this acceptable. I’m driving a death trap!!! Any suggestion on how I can address this or should I just retain an attorney?

I custom ordered a 2017 GLC and purchased it last summer. Initially we loved the car but there are certain issues that make the car dangerous in the rain and are highly irritating and ruin the driving experience of the car. The cars windshield wiper system is highly flawed. When driving in the rain, whether it is pouring or light rain, the windshield flutter very hard making driving in the rain unsafe, distracting, and highly irritating. The dealership replaced the blades twice before replacing the actual wiper arms. The problem persisted. Once it began raining more, they noticed more and more customers are bringing in their new 2017 models for the same problem. After testing their inventory, they finally advised us that it is a design flaw and there is nothing they can do unless Mercedes Benz issues a recall.I have attempted to contact Mercedes numerous times, but they are unresponsive. I have no idea what to do now. It is very distracting and dangerous to drive a car with wipers that stutter heavily. Finally, the car has electronic issues. Lights inside the car will go on or off on their own. The car will not lock at times. Bluetooth sometimes works, sometimes not. etc.

With under 40,000 at the initial start of the check engine light coming on which no one else besides MB has ever serviced, I had to get the balance shaft replaced in the motor at my total expense. From reading reviews and information from this page and other pages they said it was best to take the car back to the dealer for this type of job. I tried other Mercedes dealerships in Cleveland: North Olmsted gave me a phone estimate of $10,000, Mercedes-Benz of Willoughby Leikin said they were too small to handle such a big job so I ended up taking the car back to Mercedes Benz of Bedford where I originally purchase it for a mere$7,036.51. I associate this cost with me being **, female, prior neg. post and phone calls. This was the worse purchase I have ever made in my life and I would NEVER buy another Mercedes. They do not stand behind their merchandise. I think they tossed a coin to see who was going to service me (after corporate calls, because Bedford where I originally purchased the car new, never called me back). My conclusion: once the car is out of warranty they really dont want your business, unless its to trade the car in on a new one and they resell your old one for a mint. I know people are in business to make money but when your product falls short of what it claims to be I feel you are obligated to provide some type of relief. Word of mouth is the best advertisement you can get. When the words of many mouths is a negative experience in the end you lose. By the way Mercedes USA was a waste of my time. They did absolutely nothing.

In April 2013, I bought a pre-owned 2007 Mercedes E550 at the Lexus Dealership with 49,000 miles on car and bought a one-year Lexus Gold Protection Plan. In the one year and 4 months time frame, I have had to replace the brake pads that were supposedly put on at the Lexus Dealership prior to the car being sold to me. Last week, an indicator came on that said car too low. I am thinking I must have a flat tire but it is way worse than that. I get out of car and the rim of the car is sitting on top of the tire. I make it a half mile away to Express Oil and thankfully they are able to put car in their garage that night. The next day, Express Service department tells me the right front suspension has gone out and it will be $1465 to repair car. This is so disappointing that I bought a pre-owned Mercedes of such poor quality. When I called Mercedes about 2007 Mercedes E550, the customer service reps, Jackie and Olivia, were rude and not the least bit helpful. When I asked about possible recalls on the 2007 Mercedes E550, she said there were none related to my issue. There are many complaints online over this particular Mercedes model and year. Jackie made it clear to me that Mercedes values brand loyalty and because my repairs were done at Express there would be no consideration of help from Mercedes. Jackie also told me that they look at brand loyalty and since I did not get my car serviced every time at Mercedes that this would seem to influence whether I was loyal to the Mercedes brand. This is my second Mercedes so I informed her that I was pretty considering that I have bought 2. She did not care about pleasing the customer and basically told me because my car was a 2007 that this played a role in the car having issues. I am now noticing while idling that the a/c runs hot so that I am sure will cost me more money. I bought a lemon on the 2007 Mercedes E550. I am one unhappy owner of a Mercedes and I am extremely disappointed with the arrogant, uncaring customer service at Mercedes. No more Mercedes once I trade this piece of junk!!!

I purchased my Gla250 From Mercedes Benz in Ft Myers Florida 12/2014. I started having problems with my tire, bad smell in the car and a rattling noise. I have been to three Mercedes dealers, Ft Myers, Orlando and Naples trying to resolve these issues. I have also contacted customer service and nothing has been done. Dealing with Mercedes has been the worst experience ever. Mercedes Benz customer service does nothing to correct the issues. I am driving around a $40 luxury (supposedly) car, with a rattling sound that smells like crap inside. I assumed that Mercedes was a car manufacturer that stands behind their product but it is obviously not. My previous car was a Lexus and Mercedes can take lessons from them on Customer service. My car currently has ~40k miles. When I was at 37k, my check engine light came on. I took my car in and was told that it has a problem with the transmission and it would be about $4500 to fix. The check engine light continued to come on and the next verdict was a problem with the engine. Another $1500. I have been driving a MBZ since 1986 and am a very loyal customer. That said, I doubt I will ever again buy a MBZ. I am trying to get MBZ USA to do something about it but cannot connect with customer service. I was told that the transmission problem is common on the 2006 E350 and that MBZ knows about this problem. If so, they need to address it. Serious safety issue on 2012 ML550: My pregnant wife, 2-year-old son and I were bounced like popcorn in the car on a highway when the air suspension failed again in 10 days after the first repair. My 2012 ML550, bought in February 2012 with 10,000 km, ran into a serious safety issue. The air suspension failed twice in just 10 days. The Airmatic suspension system leaks and failed twice within two weeks. The first time was on November 27, on a trip to the hospital with my wife to do the pregnancy test; malfunction in dash at a stop sign after 40 minutes on the highway. The rear of the car sagged and could not be raised. I barely drove it home. It was bumpy all the way while my wife was tested positive for pregnancy on the day. It was towed to the dealer. They found a leaky distribution line in the air suspension system and they claimed they fixed it on the next day. But we felt the air suspension very stiff ever since. Then 10 days later on December 10, a day before we decided to send it back to dealer for a check-up, while dining out, driving on the highway at high speed, the malfunction in dash appeared and the rear of the car sagged again! My pregnant wife and 2-year-old son and I were bounced like popcorn on the flat bed in the car and barely drove it home. We had it towed to dealer soon after. There were more problems with the air suspension this time: replaced valve, relay, and now the compressor needed to be replaced also and had to be ordered from Germany. The car is disabled at the dealership at the time of this writing. The car is unsafe to drive now. It is less than a year and with only 10,000 km on it. I demand the full money back including HST from the manufacture because the manufacture has refused to replace me with a new car at no cost.

In December 2006, I had a bad car accident. An F150 Ford truck ran a red light and badly damaged my car. (The driver left the scene). I could not walk. My car was in the paint and body shop for almost 5 months & I had to rent a car for that time period. I only had the car 13 months at the time of the accident. The car stayed idle for so many months in the repair shop that the tires were stolen off the car, and Mercedes Benz manager said that was the time the tires should be replaced anyway (thats not true). I was not compensated for the tires. When I finally got the car back, it had swaying issues. I never knew when the car was going to sway, therefore, I was afraid to drive at a high rate of speed. The swaying was very scary!!!. The car went back to Mercedes Benz more than once with swaying complaints. They claimed their technicians could not find anything wrong with the car. I know that Mercedes Benz knew exactly what was wrong with that C280, but everyone denied the issue. Therefore, I had to continue driving the defected car as safely as possible until the lease matured. The swaying issues could have caused a serious accident & possibly death. I would not let anyone else drive it because of the swaying. I finally stopped complaining because it was useless!

I bought a brand new 2014 S-class, spending a grand total of $134,000. This is my third Mercedes Benz product. I gave MB another chance after learning they revamped their quality control and assurance programs. The past two cars had its share of very expensive problems, both electronic and mechanical. I have MB another chance on a S-class. Beautiful inside and out, great performance, and loaded with mind blowing tech. Its the biggest purchasing mistake I have made in my life. The first 3K miles resulted in speed sensor failure. At 3.5K miles, another speed sensor failure. At 5K transmission warning light. Dealer could not remedy until they consulted with MB. Warning light reappeared after three days. Decoded and reset fixed it. Now comes strange vibrations during shifts that can be felt in the accelerator when pushed. Dealer claims simple adjustment needed. Problem not solved to date. At 7K instrument/video cluster vibration during highway speeds. Dealer cannot duplicate because they cannot drive it above 65mph. The vibration seemed to remedy itself but I do not believe its resolved. I also complained about the significant amount of brake dust from the front right wheel/brake. Dealer replaced brake pads. At 10K the transmission warning light reappeared. When pressed hard, the transmission would jerk/jump/shoot like a true piece of junk manual transmission. At this point, I made it a mission to return the junk to the dealer. I didnt care how much I would lose, I just wanted them to take it back. The lemon law may have applied but I dont have time to jerk around with MB after three of their cars. I drive quite a bit between hospitals for work and my time is valuable. The amount of time I spent going back and forth to the dealer was nothing short of a nightmare. MB dealer will give you every excuse possible always stating that my S-class is one of a kind. Talking with other MB owners waiting at the service department, Ive learned that most of them were there because of a malfunction, not routine maintenance and/or oil changes like at Lexus. I do not have the car anymore and I have returned to living a normal life in a wonderful Lexus LS F. I have close to 12K with absolutely ZERO issues. ZERO! Goodbye Mercedes Benz. Strike three...youre out!

My husband and I were very interested in buying a Mercedes Sprinter van but before taking the plunge we decided to rent a 2011 Sprinter. I am very glad we did because I would NOT want to own this vehicle due to MAJOR safety considerations. Also, we had a VERY poor experience with one of the service advisor of this dealership. This is our story: We were traveling through Southern Oregon and were climbing one of the steep grades of I-5 heading into Grants Pass. Suddenly, we heard a loud “pop” and the Sprinter suddenly lost power. We were in the left lane and had to quickly try to get over. We barely missed getting rear ended by a car and then a big rig. It was terrifying. We managed to get off the Interstate near Hugo, Oregon. We didn’t know it at the time but the Sprinter’s computer deliberately put the van into “limp mode”. This means that the vehicle has a fraction of the power it normally has. When we found a safe place to park, we pulled over and contacted Mercedes Emergency Roadside Assistance. They told us that it would be 2 hours before a tow arrived to take the incapacitated van and us to the M-B Dealership in Medford. We called the M-B Dealership in Medford and let them know what was happening. While we were waiting for the tow, my husband accessed information on the internet and learned that this was likely to be an issue with the Sprinters turbocharger connection to the engine. There seems to be a variety of ways that the turbocharger on this van fails. Some of these failures result in expensive maintenance issues BUT some of them make this van dangerous to drive. My husband told the M-B what he thought the issue might be with this van. Turns out that he was basically correct. We asked the Service Advisor to let us know what was happening with the repair as soon as she knew anything. Not ONCE did this Service Advisor contact us to tell us what was happening in the subsequent 2 days. We were fortunate enough to call and reach another Service Advisor who kindly told us that the problem WAS the connection between the Turbo and the Sprinter’s engine and that it would take about 4 hours to repair.I later called the Service Manager and tried to figure out if there was a reason why the Service Advisor never bothered to return our calls. Of course, the Service Manager never called me back. Given the reputation M-B has for superior customer service, I was a little perplexed at this situation but later came to the conclusion that if you are frequently dealing with unhappy M-B vehicle owners, you probably learn not to return phone calls. In summary, I was so upset at this life threatening experience and the callous way the Service Advisor treated us that I would never buy a Mercedes vehicle and I will do what I can to warn anyone to stay away from the Sprinter van.

My car, the GL450 4matic, has had steering column replaced, a recall for other same year 2008 GL450, but for some reason the recall did not apply to my particular vehicle in that year... Electrical between the lift gate and passenger windows and moonroof have gone out and been repaired more than once. Air sacs & front suspension both failed and replaced. All of this by 60,000 miles. My husband’s 2009 sl63 AMG has also had air suspension issues including needing to replace hoses that the mechanic said Mercedes is famous for. The coolant keeps disappearing and seems to be mixing with the oil through the head gasket on a car with 40,000 miles. Not only is this the worst craftsmanship Ive experienced, the dealership and service departments could not be worse in their customer service or concern to fix any problems. I would love to join anyone in holding Mercedes responsible for these repairs.

My CLS550 only has 60k miles. The check engine light came on and the dealer has informed me that it is due to a faulty balance shaft. This is a known issue and a class action suit was filed. Mercedes settled out of court so they would not have to issue recall notices. I was never notified of the situation so I have been driving the car, not realizing that I was in danger. Now that I am aware of the issue, Mercedes is only willing to cover 37% of the $6,000 it is going to cost for the repair. How can any company think it is ok to use faulty parts, not inform the consumer and then not stand up to their responsibility? Quiet ride, to the point where you feel so comfortable you want to rest instead of driving this vehicle. Now there is a good side to anything and there is the other side! Someone once said if you have to ask the price you must not have the ability to afford the cost to make repairs! First order of business, vehicle warranty a MUST! You ended up selling your first child to keep it on the road. Average maintenance cost per year $2,000 to $3,500 even if you have a good warranty. Tires, tune up, head lights for starters. Rotor/breaks were changed after the car failed to stop on the highway. The car (Mercedes 2015 C300 4matic) has 2k miles. The vehicle didnt display any warning messages or lights indicating something was wrong with the car. This is the second time car has been returned to dealer. How I got here? When car was returned the first time, February 2015, the car had about 700 miles. My complain: It doesnt feel right driving the car. The worse is when I drive down in the parking garage in a deep decline as I am turning right I hear the cracking/squeaking noise. Dealer repaired exhaust; it was not mounted correctly from the factory. Also, I was told the car is new and rotor needs to be used - give the car some time. After I picked up the car, by the end of February 2015, I called and informed the service department that exhaust was not the problem. Car has the same issues. I called and followed up with the service department in several occasions, texted and even e-mailed a video of the problem to show in real time that the cracking squeaking noise has not been fixed and I as explained back then, it is getting worse. It felt driving in the wrong shift. Dealer said they will get back to me, but never did despite the fact I called several time. Car was not used March-April 2015 due to personal reasons. Early June 2015, brakes failed as I am driving on the highway @50 miles/hour. I live and drive in the city, usually about 10-30 miles/hour (rush hours). After the rotor/brake repair, I asked if this issue had to do with my prior complaints. I was told that there is nothing in the file to suggest that the cracking/squeaking noise was not fixed the first time car was returned, nor shows any calls or correspondence with the service department. I was told that I didnt complain about the brakes. I am not a mechanic, nor I pretend to be, I said to dealer. When I complained about the car, I expected the dealer to identify the problem. I even took a video as I was driving so they can see and listen to cracking squeaking sound of the car.Although dealer has replaced brake and rotor, I have not heard a word about the cracking squeaking sound. Also sometimes when I reverse the car it dials somehow SOS call center. Yes, a new 2015 C300, 2k miles, several issues including major safety concerns ones. Anyone is experiencing this issues? I am a woman, and the reason I have only purchased new cars is so I dont have to worry about things I dont understand. Instead, I feel trapped and scared. I have contacted MB-USA. Looking forward to hearing from them.

I purchased my MB GLK350 about 1 1/2 ago. I was so excited as it was my first MB. I just found out that the car needs a new transmission. The dealership gave me an estimate of $8,000. The warranty just expired 1,000 miles ago. This car is a piece of **. Its no way possible a 4-year old car needs the transmission to be replaced. I barely drive the car, only to school and back. I was considering getting a new MB before this happened. I will NEVER purchase an MB again.

I purchased a brand new 2007 E350 sedan on Dec. 2006. Have had nothing but problems with this car! Latest, gas is filling up into the back seat of my car! I have had nothing but arrogant and rude customer service from Mercedes of FP! The GM there is a racist, rude, no customer service compassion at all! I swear the mechanic there sabotaged my vehicle because I complained about what I brought my vehicle in for and what they did! Please! Do not take your car to Mercedes of FT Pierce or buy anything from those racist SOB!

The cup and armrest facility between the front seats is empty. The passenger seats except the front dont recline to allow for back support and sleeping positions for passengers. The seat and headrest design doesnt allow for the back and neck contact to ensure support even when a standard neck pillow is used.

We own a 2009 C300, with 4matic transmission. The car started to make a grinding noise which was being emitted from the center of the car. The car only had 60,000 miles at that point. We took the car to our family mechanic, and he told us it sounded like it was coming from the transmission and he advised we take the car to the dealer. We took the car to Mercedes of Danbury CT. They told us we needed a completely new transmission, and the price was $7,500. We told them it was outrageous that the car needed a new transmission at 60K miles. They told us the warranty only goes until 50K and there was nothing they could do.The dealer told us the car was probably not taken care of, but we took very good care of it. We had Mercedes of Nanuet (the original dealer) look up the records to prove that the transmission service had been performed right on time, and that the car was very well taken care of. In a desperate attempt, we called Mercedes USA. We talked to a regional manager and told him the whole story. The result was they were willing to discount the repair to $6000. We told them this is unacceptable. Given the car had been well serviced, the issue indicates an engineering problem with the transmission. A quick google search will show that many people have the same issue with the transmission. After Mercedes refused to do any better, we took the car back to our family mechanic. He opened up the transmission, replaced the bearing that had failed, and charged us a total of $1,000. In his opinion the transmission has a design flaw. You would think a luxury automobile manufacturer such as Mercedes Benz would treat you well. Obviously that is not the case. We will be selling the car, and will never purchase a Mercedes Benz again.
