Husqvarna Motorcycles is a Swedish-origin Austrian company which designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes motocross, enduro, supermoto and street motorcycles. The company began producing motorcycles in 1903 at Huskvarna, Sweden, as a subsidiary of the Husqvarna armament firm.

Motorcycle Troubleshooting

Dirty Carburetor
There are ways to tell if a dirty or malfunctioning carburetor is your problem. If you have an electric starter, take your air intake off, push the starter, and squirt starter fluid straight into your carburetor. If it starts and revs up for a few seconds then that means you have a dirty carburetor.
Deposits and dirt can build up in your fuel system. As time passes, the build-up increases and will easily be able to block fuel passageways, especially the jets in the carburetor because they are so small. Not using a fuel filter will quickly cause a dirty carburetor.
You’ll need to thoroughly clean your carbs. To do this, you’ll have to take off the air intake then detach the carburetor from your motorcycle engine. Be sure to take pictures before you disassemble so you remember how to put it back together. Label parts using some tape if you need to.

Bad Spark Plugs
When a spark plug is about to give out, the motorcycle is running poorly, sounds louder than normal, and almost seems “gutless.” Eventually, when a spark plug has gone completely out, your motorcycle will attempt to turn over but simply won’t fire up.
Also, if you have no idea when they were changed last, that might be a good indication that they’re spent.
A spark plug can go bad in a few different ways. First, it’s possible for the ceramic coating to get cracked. When a cracked spark plug is installed, the spark will find the least path of resistance through the crack and ground out to your engine block instead of going all the way down to the end of the spark plug and jumping across the gap like it’s supposed to.
Luckily fixing a spark plug is easy; you simply need to buy new spark plugs. Spark plugs are usually only a few dollars each and can be found at any auto store. If you need to replace a spark plug, make sure you replace all the other ones as well even if they don’t need it. This will make your motorcycle run much more smoothly.

Blown Fuses
The motorcycle will sound completely normal when you try to start it, but it will spin forever yielding no results.
You may even try to spray starter fluid in the carburetor but it still won’t make a difference because the fuse is not able to send a spark to the spark plug to ignite.
A blown fuse generally means there is a bad grounding wire somewhere, especially if you have to keep replacing the same fuse. Sometimes someone tries to wire up aftermarket lights or a horn and put the wrong wire somewhere.
There is only one fuse that can affect the starting of a motorcycle. Every motorcycle usually has a main fuse which is between 30 to 50 amps (occasionally some bikes will have 20 amps). It is usually located off of the positive battery wire. Sometimes it’s an inline fuse and other times it’s a regular block fuse.
Check the main fuse and see if it’s blown. You can tell the fuse is blown by either black material found on the fuse or if the wires inside the fuse are disconnected. Replace the fuse if necessary. Any auto parts store will be able to identify the right fuse you need.

Dead Battery
This is the easiest problem to diagnose and is probably the most common reason why a motorcycle doesn’t start.
Depending on how low your battery is, if there is some voltage left you may be able to turn the key as well as turn on your blinker, but turning it over is slow and sluggish. If your battery is completely dead, your motorcycle will not make any noise at all when you try to start it.
Get a multimeter and turn it on to DC Voltage and put it on the 20 volt setting of direct current. Now put the separate leads on the two battery posts (if you’re reading a negative number, that just means you need to switch the leads to the other battery post).

Bad Starter
This is only applicable if you have an electric starter. A bad starter can make several strange sounds. One noise would be a clicking sound. Another noise will make is a whirring sound (almost like a high-pitched unpleasant buzz) where you can tell the gears aren’t catching on anything.
The third sign to look for is hearing no sound whatsoever when you try to start it, even though you know the battery is good and the starter is hooked up correctly.
The most common cause for a starter to go bad is age. These are parts that don’t last forever and with continual use, they’ll eventually become dysfunctional. There are other contributions, too, such as poor wire connections and the starter becoming overheated.
There is no way around it, you’ll simply need to get a new starter.

First of all, I wish there was a choice of no stars (if you know what I mean) but since I have to, I will put 1 star. Last year, we purchased a Husqvarna lawn tractor YTH24k48. The battery had to be boosted off every time we used it. The tire went flat almost immediately. I bought this for my fiance (I wish now I would have purchased a John Deere). We have about an acre of flat yard to mow. For all of you who are insinuating that complainers here dont know what they are doing regarding operating a rider, thats hogwash. We have done all maintenance as is recommended in the manual (thats a positive we DID get one of those) to the specs as required oil, etc. Now the big problem: Hes on the mower mowing on flat grass and the lawn tractor starts shaking violently (we are very fortunate than no one was hurt) when suddenly he hears a big sound and he is hearing impaired. The blade falls off going into the ground making a half circle mark in the yard. We called Lowes where it was purchased (and no, for the know-it-alls, Lowes does not put them together; they remove them off a pallet and take them out of a box already assembled by the qualified Husqvarna team... not my problem). Now I called Lowes. I returned the mower to Lowes; I have owned it for 1 year 1 month so its still under warranty. Lowes sent the mower to Lanier someplace down in GA who of course works for Husqvarna. They have had the mower since May 15th; in a few days, it will be 4 weeks. Meantime grass is not getting shorter. Rider has been used a total of maybe 6 times mowing flat grass with nothing to hit. Now we are being told that the blade falling off is not a warranty issue (luckily he was not injured or we would have another issue). I dont know about you but I dont believe blades should just fall off any mower much less a $2000 mower used so little. Husqvarna mechanics, I am hearing through Lowes, are stating in their diagnostics report that the lawnmower hit something. The only possibility of anything being hit would have been a clump of grass, a small stick, or possibly though not likely a small rock of which none should make the blade fall off and so violently. We are waiting for a return call from Husqvarna (they have not returned my calls and when I call them, I am put on hold for long periods of 30 minutes or more). There is no customer service from Husqvarna. Lowes corporate office customer service has called me and appears genuinely nice but is he really concerned? We will see. I am waiting. We know many people that would be prospective buyers of Husqvarna lawnmowers. If I have anything to say about it, I will be sure to sway them away from these horrible products. I wish that I had found this site before purchasing such a piece of crap. Oh and by the way, I also purchased a Husqvarna push mower style weedeater. It worked great for a few weeks and suddenly quit and will not crank or anything so thats next to go back. Im not feeling good about any of this due to the way things have been handled so far. What happened to good ole fashioned customer service? Husqvarna is willing to lose potential customers and many sales rather than admit to poor quality and spend a little to fix their shoddy products. Buyers beware, steer way clear of Husqvarna products especially lawn mowers. Im very angry and disappointed.

I purchased one of your tractors from a Sears store. Had lots of issues with the blade engagement switch. Also I cannot buy blades for this lawn mower. It has the clip-on blades which are not available anywhere. Which makes the lawn mower useless unless I purchase new deck mandrels and new blades. Great job you guys. Again I will never use another one of your products and I will tell everyone I know about the issues Ive had. And I do realize you guys could care less about this letter but it makes me feel better.

We bought the weed trimmer at Lowes after comparing many brands and styles. I already owned a Husqvarna leaf blower and have been very pleased. The weed trimmer was light, quiet, and very easy to use. The string feed is a major improvement over other styles offered by other manufacturers. It only takes a light push on the ground to advance the string. It starts easily and has a lot of power for a 2 cycle. I will definitely purchase other power tools from Husqvarna in the future.

The new yth20k46 lawn tractor was bought new with 60 hours on meter because the geniuses at Lowe’s left the key on. The carriage bolt for shield under front of the deck fell off first time mowing. It swung back and hit the blade. The blade was bent. Also, the blade dug into the ground and snapped the mandrel, bringing mower to screeching halt and almost throwing me off. 4 weeks of trying to get it repaired resulted in a new yth21k46, after nearly going ballistic with their service rep on the phone. Fast forward to 84 hours on the new one and bang! I look down to see the deck being dragged sideways after left supporting bracket simply broke off the deck, defective welds. You can clearly see that one had been cracked/broken probably since new and the other just fatigued and finally snapped at a whopping 84 hours. In order to keep from voiding my warranty and repairing it myself (which would have taken 5 minutes), again I wasted another month trying to get it resolved. The welds the service center put on this thing look like my 11 year-old did them. I can hardly wait for them to break again as Im sure the whole flimsy surrounding area is now brittle from too much heat. I waited the last week for them to “finish up” and finally drove the 45 miles to the shop to find out they were just waiting for the claim to be approved. Seriously?! Hope it worked out for them, because I came home with my mower! Something about welding on the deck done by a “certified welder”! What like the factory? Im sure anyone out there who knows a thing or two about welding would only shake their head and scowl at the photos of how they “fixed” this deck. So, to sum things up, two spring growing seasons spent without a mower for a month each time. You can bet Ill never buy another one of these orange pieces of junk. Next year, I can only assume itll be the same thing. Unless of course, we have a severe drought in which the grass doesn’t grow. Another peeve, the discharge chute arrangement stinks, unless you like everything you mow to be left in clumpy and piled up streaks of cut grass all over the yard. It looks like, well, you get the idea.

I had a similar situation to some of those Im reading here. Bought a Husqvarna riding mower at Lowes with an extended 3 year warranty. Worked fine for two seasons, this year all of a sudden a loud clunk noise and the mower started smoking. We shut it down immediately and called for service. The repair facility fixed it and sent it to Husqvarna and they denied the claim, saying we had to have run over something or hit an object in the yard and it wasnt covered. We didnt hit anything and there is NO damage to the blades, but apparently that doesnt matter. Wish I would have seen this site sooner and would have never bought the mower. Will never own another Husqvarna product again, and Im not real happy with Lowes at this point either who got an additional $200 for a warranty that seems will never be honored. Would have given zero stars if I could have.

Purchased a new Husqvarna Riding Lawn Mower. M# YT48XLS. Had it for 3 months. First day I used it the left front wheel just rolled off of the axle. No biggie, I replaced it and went on. The mower would not charge the battery. I had to fully charge the battery about every 2 weeks. Took it back to the dealer where it was repaired. I was told that an alternator and a regulator was replaced under warranty. Also since day one the deck which I feel is poorly designed would get clogged. The blades would not discharge the clippings. I had to buy a mower lift so that I could clean under the deck after about 1 hour of mowing. Also when deck begins to clog the center blade will leave uncut grass in the middle of the row of cut grass. Bottom line I have to clean under the deck with a pressure washer about every 1 - 2 hours of use. TERRIBLE DESIGN!!! By the way the dealer Habersham Hardware has been very helpful. They are trying.

I called Husqvarna when I initially bought my mower to say I thought there must have been a packaging issue because the pull pins used to adjust height were broken off of the 2 models in the store. Apparently, pull pins are just a bad design. Mower has probably been used about 30 times, bought in 2015 for Kansas use, and have not had any problems. In fact, it has been great for all the reasons I did buy it! However, back to the pins. A friend mowed for me last week, and apparently put more muscle into pulling the pin for adjustment (which they are a little sticky sometimes) and it broke off in his hand. Just sayin... Bad design on those pull pins. Buyer beware, and Husqvarna fix that crap!

I bought a 48 in. Husqvarna last year. When they got it off the truck it did not work. Had to get new battery and 1 tire was flat. About 2 months later the mower will not go into reverse. They fixed that. We tried to mow and the paddle broke off. Now 3 spindles broke, warranty would not cover. I paid out of pocket. We get it back. I now part of my yard and the spindle in making a lot of noise and not working correctly. This is such bull, you pay so much and you get crap. I now cant mow again. Something needs to happen.

Had to throw in snow. I hurt my back, there is damage to the porch, and Husqvarna has done nothing. I have called them a dozen times and still never get to talk with someone in headquarters. I will tell everyone to look at reviews look at their customer service. Dont buy. Find someone who will stand behind their product. I purchased a new O turn at the beginning of the season. The very first time I mowed it bent a push rod. Didnt even get my yard mowed all the way. Mower had 4 hours on it and when it was delivered it had over 2. The dealership I purchased from wanted to charge me for pick up so I called a different one and thankfully they were great and didnt charge that. Still though. EVERY TIME I mow, the belt comes off as soon as I turn the blades on. I oil the blades every time before I mow. I baby the mower. I had had this dealership come get it 3 times now. They put a new belt on it, they adjusted the blades, nothing has helped. It started sneaking while in motion at about 10 hours. Only one of the headlights work. I could go on and on. IT is a Lemon. I have called Husqvarna. They just tell me to call the dealer. What happens when my warranty is up? My brother has had the same mower for 4 years, just an older version, never one issue. This is just ridiculous. If I wanted these problems I could have bought old used mower. Thats what I feel like I have. I have not mowed the yard one time without a problem.

I bought a Husqvarna walk behind mower 2 years ago for $400.00 thinking it would be a high end mower. I will not buy another product from Husqvarna ever again. It has underperformed in every way. It cannot cut deep or wet grass and requires continual cleaning under the deck due to clogging of mulched grass. The rear wheels are wobbly and cause problems over terrain. The engineering of their products is cheap. I will go elsewhere for my lawn maintenance needs.

I had the same experience as Nico from Chico-starting a new business, I went to Lowes and got the Rancher. I took it back and got a new one because it didnt start. I have been putting up with stubborn starts since March. Today I wasted half an hour wearing myself out before I called the customer care number. I waited on hold another half hour, so I put the speaker on and spent that time trying to start it. Right now I am waiting for the manager to call back. That just lost me a lucrative job for the day. Now I have to call and postpone a landscape job because I am waiting for this callback. In April I purchased the Husky 525LK commercial trimmer and the PA100 pole saw attachment. I scheduled some jobs which I had to cancel because when I tested it, the pole saw chain would not turn. I took it to the dealer, which is Montana Power Products (who have also looked at the 455 and couldnt find anything wrong, and they agreed it was hard to start). They said it had the wrong sprocket. That is, the genius on the factory floor grabbed a sprocket that was probably in a bin in an entirely different part of the factory on a separate line for a smaller product and put it on a commercial product. What kind of idiot does Husqvarna hire? Maybe I should apply for a job THERE!Because so far, this has lost me probably $6000 in lost wages, not to mention preventing me from working around my own house. They tell me no when I ask if I dont have a reasonable expectation that my big-ticket items will work. The tractor is nice. I was surprised I didnt have to take it back the first time I tried to use it, though. I am asking them for compensation and will pursue a small claim.

I bought a Husqvarna 2654, three years ago. While cutting the grass, the tractor stopped moving. I discovered a broken rear axle. I contacted Lowes, only to be told that the axle could not be replaced. I would need to replace the whole transaxle. I made several calls to Husqvarna asking questions. They also told me, that these axles could not be replaced. They told me that I needed a $1,200.00 transaxle. After three days of phone calls, I discovered that the axle, as well as transaxles, were made by a company called Tuff Torque. When I called them, (a number which Husqvarna refused to give me), they explained to me that each and every transaxle they sell can be worked on, and the axle I needed could be replaced. The cost of the axle, seal needed, and shipping was only $45.00, and the female I spoke with on the phone, had the knowledge to explain everything I needed to know to fix the problem. She explained that if it has bolts, it is not a sealed unit, as reported by Husqvarna, and could be taken apart. The part arrived in two days, and it took about two hours to fix. When I called the Husqvarnas home office, and spoke to a person identified as a vice president, I explained what I had been told by the company, and he agreed. Then, I explained what I had been told by Tuff Torque. He seemed surprised. I then told him that I had made the repairs myself, (I am no mechanic, but this was a simple job). He started stammering and stuttering. A couple of weeks later, I received a gift certificate in the mail from Husqvarna, which I promptly threw away. I will never buy another thing from Husqvarna, nor Lowes. In my opinion, they are both nothing but con artists, ripping the Americans off. If you, or anyone you know has a problem with these mowers, dont believe Husqvarna, nor Lowes, and dont believe the authorized dealers and service centers either, as they are trained by Husqvarna, and the mechanics are told and trained that these axles con not be fixed, so they are not allowed to even attempt it. After logging in more that 50 more run hours this past summer, I am pleased to report that the axle that could not be replaced, according to Husqvarna, is still working just fine. My hat is off to a company called Tuff Torque, for good old honesty, and for the help.

I bought this to replace an old Craftsman riding mower that had served me well. This model has essentially the same body as the Craftsman so I was able to look at the old Craftsman to see why the Husqvarna was so low to the ground. The Husqvarna body is directly bolted to the rear axle while the Craftsman has a bracket that lifts the body about an inch above the rear axle. Because of this, the mower deck on the Husqvarna cant be properly adjusted. Also, when I use it to pull a broadcast spreader, the spreader is tipped forward too much and the mover deck is dragged through the grass the whole time. Ive since found many reports of this problem. Too bad I hadnt seen these reports before I bought it earlier this year.

Service man said the belt was glazed and I paid to replace it. After the first use the original problem appeared and I took it back, and they determined that it was a faulty Hydro-Guard transmission. The transmission has only a two year warranty so they said it was not covered. To replace the transmission it would cost approximately $1400.00 plus labor which make it questionable the economic sense to replace it. The unit has only 47.2 hours of use.

Bought a Husqvarna YTH18542 Lawn Tractor from Lowe’s. After the first use, I found the parking brake would not lock in the on position. This is a safety issue, the mower could roll into someone or something. The problem was a pin or clip that joins the locking mechanism to the brake mechanism was missing. Whether it had fallen out or was never installed I don’t know. Called Lowe’s, they were great and replaced the tractor. Took the new one out, used it for two hours and guess what? Same thing. I have an old push mower from ~2010 with the blade brake and everything including a Honda motor. Just this last year, a few parts have started to wear out like the cables. It should be simple, cheap fixes, but Husqvarna has a lot of plastic parts and have discontinued producing many of them. This has left me with a mower that runs well, cuts well, and works well, but due to a single $15 cable the mower is trash (or I am left with some bad DIY fix). This mower has been a beast, so reliable and dependable and has performed well beyond expectations, but I never imagined I wouldnt be able to replace a simple $15 cable after 10 years... Im probably off to Toro where they keep running for 20+ years and parts are still available.

After driving 45 min to another repair shop they also informed me that they dont do warranty work, they gave me another address. At this point Im getting really impatient so I call the place where I purchased the blower and told them I was bringing it back and for them to deal with the headache, 3 weeks later Im still sitting at home waiting for a blower that I didnt get to use yet.Now they are telling me theyre having trouble getting Husqvarna to pay for parts and repair so I called Husqvarna myself to see what was going on and customer relations told me with an attitude that it was my fault for bringing it back to the place of purchase and I should have brought it directly to them, 4 hrs away and that it was nothing they could or would do. I told them I should have bought a Honda and avoided this mess altogether and thats the last 1600$ they will ever get from me. So he calls Husqvarna customer service and was told that since it was 3 days past the 30 day return they would not authorize the exchange. So I spoke to the woman on the phone and she would not authorize it because it was past the 30 days even just by 3 days. So I asked to speak with someone above her and she said it would be a waste of my time because they would say the same and would not authorize the exchange either. So I asked for her name and employee number and she would not give me her first name and stated that employees are not given employee numbers - like I believe that. So I left with a new broken mower. I will never buy another Husqvarna product ever.

I purchased a brand new yth2346 lawn tractor in March. It only has twenty hours on it and the spindle for blades broke in two places. This is a working component that should be covered by warranty. But no, the 3 year limited warranty does not cover this mechanical failure because it is a item that wears. It broke in two places at point of bolts. This sounds like bolts was tightened too tight from manufacturer and cracked housing. Husqvarna refuses to pay for any repairs. To me they are not standing behind their name and their products. I could understand maybe a year and this breaking possibly but not In 20 hours. I am telling all my friends of this and anybody that reads this that husqvarnas warranty is very limited. Ill never buy another product from them.

We purchased our mower 5 years ago and right after we got it, the wheel fell off. So, Lowes brought us a new machine. We purchased the 4-year extended warranty and wouldnt you know it, one month after the warranty expired, the motor went out. We have a new motor $1,200 later. That was in July. Now, in May of the following year, the transmission goes out…that’s another $985. We could have just bought a new mower. Now, we’re spending another $2,200 only 5 years later. I will NEVER buy another Husqvarna ever again. Im very upset that weve just spent $4,400 on a $2,000 mower in a matter of 5 years.

On June 10, 2008, I purchased a Craftsman/Husqvarna 19.5 HP/42 cut lawn tractor from Sears. Although I have owned it for eight years now, I have literally been unable to use it even once without the mower deck belt breaking. On average, it has cost me ~$40 for parts and labor to have the belt replaced then only to have it break again at the very next attempt to mow with it. The cost each time, when the repair shop charges for pickup and return delivery is more like $60. I have now concluded that the mower deck/pulley/belt design on this mower is very poor and certainly unreliable when compared to the Murray lawn tractors which I had owned and used over the past 25 years or so. In conclusion, this Sears/Husqvarna lawn tractor is worse than useless.

Husqvarna Lawn tractor YTH22V46 - 1st. Issue: Ordered online from DR POWER EQUIPMENT. Order Confirmation from POWER EQUIPMENT PLUS on 8/11/2013. DR POWER EQUIPMENT Order has shipped on 8/13/2013. Recd packing slip from Country Home Product. 2nd. Issue: Very hard to start, struggled with it for one summer. Finally went on line to ** and found a article about starting problems on this L.T. The choke was not adjusted properly at the factory. A simple turn of the screw on the bracket which holds the cable allowing it to move freely. Jumped on and turned the key and it started right up! 3rd. Issue: After running the L.T. for about a hour on 5/15/2015 went to start and it wouldnt. Gasoline was pouring out of the manifold. Now the L.T. is at the Local Husqvarna Dealer waiting for at least two (2) weeks for a carburetor repair. Local dealer has one repair man and a two week back log of Husqvarna products. No idea what this repair will cost. They will call with estimate! My advice - buy the green one!

I bought a HUS960430109 riding mower 3/28/2012 new. I used it about 5 times before the drought set in. I began watering from our lake and needed to mow. The right front tire was flat. On 8/6/2012, I took the tire to my dealer for a repair and was told the cracks in the tire were delamination and was a problem to be handled by Husqvarna. He called that day. I have called about the status of the tires and was told today (8/17/12) that it would be 4 to 5 weeks for Husqvarna to correct the problem. The dealer is handling it for me. If I had both tires and rims, I could solve the problem at one time. Now, I have to pick up one tire and then take the second tire to the dealer. This is a lousy way for Husqvarna to handle a problem.

Husqvarna 455 Rancher Chainsaw - The chainsaw is well built and reliable until it begins to leak bar oil. Husqvarna knows that this problem is very widely reported by most model 455 owners. The part fails after about 40 to 60 hours of use. The fix is replacing the oil feed hose with a new style (correctly manufactured) hose (part 158551400(1)). The part costs $2.95. The labor costs $53.00. The repair is covered by the 2-year warranty or the pay extra extended warranty. Husqvarna notified its dealers about this manufacturing defect, shhhh, but did not notify registered chainsaw owners. Husqvarna will not do the right thing and issue a general and advertised recall. Memo to Husqvarna--do you see all (hundreds) of 1-star ratings on this website? It is a prescription for laying off many of your workers. Your quality and customer service ratings have plummeted lower than even Black and Decker. Do the right thing, issue a recall and free repair when it is Husqvarnas fault.

Ive had my lawn tractor about three seasons. And the experiences have not been all bad. Ive got only about 50 hours on my mower and Ive done the regular maintenance. I try to keep it up because it was very expensive over $2k. Ive replaced the normal blades, oil + filter, air filter, fuel filter, battery. But recently the deck just up and fell off the mower. I know Im not under warranty with Lowes where I purchased it, so I call the Husqvarna No Customer Service Line and explained the situation. They said I was on my own with this problem because I wasnt in the warranty period. Seriously the welds broke from a manufacturer defect and its my problem? I was extremely pissed off at this reply after spending my good earned money on this practically new tractor. So I ended up having to remove the deck and getting the brackets welded back on so I can fix this mower. I dont recommend buying this brand mower because the manufacturer does not stand behind their product. Snapper has lifetime warranties on their decks and Ive heard nothing but good from John Deere customers. Also dont buy in the big box stores, go to the local dealers. The guys that posted on this feed that works at Lowes was right, its not his fault, but Lowes is not worried about selling you a great product. I hope this post helps someone not make the same mistake. Thanks.

However, from the battery constantly draining and needing to be jumpstarted to the belts needing to be replaced as well as a rod breaking. Not worth the money, the hassle, or headaches its provided. Bought this blower September 2014. Ran great until Feb 2015. Has been used maybe 12 hours and when I went to start the blower it was locked up. I always use gas without ethanol and Stihl oil. I removed spark plug, tapped the top of the piston lightly with a flat punch and the piston broke free. Replaced the gas and oil and tried to start, to no avail. Removed spark plug and checked the compression. There was none. It evidently has a broken compression ring. I have owned an equipment repair shop for 10 years. I am on my way to the trashcan and donating this blower to it. I am not even going to attempt to deal with their warranty. There will be a new Stihl in my shop tomorrow.

I was informed by Husqvarna district rep. (via dealer) 5-21013, that reason for delayed shipment on my (ordered) GT54LS tractor is that the engine component for the unit is unavailable. What? Did Husqvarna grind such a deal with Briggs and Stratton on these motors? That B&S cant (or wont) honor its commitment or were they closeouts to begin with? I have never, in 60 years of life, heard of anything like this! Is Husqy going to discontinue the model, update it with substitution engine and reintroduce in the fall (2014 MY)? And are they going to (be able to) support those already out-there? More convinced than ever that Ive made an error in judgment.

I purchased a HU800AWD in Spring of 2015. The first or second time I mowed my backyard I hit a green pine cone buried in the grass. There was the usual sound when a mower hits something solid. Several laps later the drive mechanism began to slip. I stopped the mower. I found that a green pine in the drive mechanism with a bunch of grass and the PLASTIC part that covered an access to the drive mechanism had a nice hole and crack that ran to a corner screw. I cleaned out the drive mechanism, bought a sheet of thin steel, bent it into as close an approximation as I could and attached it to the mower deck. Here I want to say that my former mower a 15 year old Toro had on many occasions hit green pine cones, hidden dog toys or tennis balls in deep grass with never a hiccup. My front yard due to fescue requires a mower height change every time I mow. One of the curved tips of levers has broken off. I was willing to live with the inconvenience of the 4 wheel adjustment as opposed to one lever to change all wheels at once due to what I thought was Husqvarna quality. I made a mistake. I would not buy this mower again. I tried to post a review on Husqvarna but got the message that the review could not be posted due to some error.

Husqvarna 390XP chainsaw - Piston/cylinder melted during the second tank of gas. The service center could not determine the cause, but replaced cylinder and piston. After 8 more tanks of gas, the engine seized. The piston/cylinder burned up again. The service center reported a metal support between the carb and head was missing from the factory. During the first repair, the technician noticed it missing and thought they changed the design. They explained that after the saw warmed up, it would allow air to leak into the head causing the saw to run too lean and too hot. As this was a factory error, I expected an apology or a new saw, but received neither. I paid $1,100 for this factory defect saw and would be lucky to get half of that for this saw that has burned up twice. I asked for a refund or a new power head but Husqvarna would do neither. They said it would still be covered under warranty, but I would rather be cutting logs than waiting for repair service. At this point, I do not trust this saw that has been exposed to extreme heat twice and have to baby the saw or take a loss and sell it. Husqvarna did not do me right and I will never purchase a Husqvarna product again. If you are considering purchasing a Husqvarna, be forewarned.

The motor is blowing blue smoke and it is consuming oil. I checked a few mower forums and they say the Kohler Courage engine is a throw away when it goes bad. Most shops wont work on it. Well he lied because all 3 of them are complete and total junk!!! I wasted every penny that I spent on these items. Theyre all 2 years old and have less than 4 hours on them. Because they NEVER run properly. The lawn mower has to be worked on to start, then it breaks down at least once per yard. Its on its second motor (that cost almost as much as the mower did!) I bought a 46 inch/24 hp lawn tractor and also purchased the three year extended comprehensive warranty. The rep told me that with the extended warranty I was almost guaranteed to have no maintenance expenses. I have found out the emphasis should have been on the word almost. In less than 1 year the machine broke down (i.e. carburetor and other parts went bad, etc.). To their credit, the service Husqvarna used did pick up the machine without charge, but that is the only positive aspect of this experience. I was told it would take more than 2 weeks before they could even look at the machine (and of course it was spring-time and the 3 acres of grass was not in a cooperative mood). After nearly a week, the rep called to tell me all that was wrong with this nearly brand new machine and was sad to inform me that nothing was covered under the extended warranty (big surprise). More than 2 weeks later and out more than $500 for repairs, I was livid. I wrote a detailed letter to Lowes, where I bought the machine and to Husqvarna. In that letter I cited provisions in the extended warranty where I was sure the repairs were covered and asked that someone contact me to set up an arbitration hearing, as set forth in the maintenance agreement. It has been more than three months now and I have not heard from either Lowes or Husqvarna. Both companies obviously have two customer service standards - pre-sale they are all smiles and supportive, post-sale they want nothing to do with customers. I spend a lot of money annually at Lowes and I will never shop that store again. I also will never purchase Husqvarna products again.

I have or I should say had a Rider Model # YTH23V48. I bought it in Butler, MO 64730, from Young sales and repair. I bought it off of the showroom floor and paid more than I thought it was worth. I was dissatisfied from day one. It didnt have half of the deck clearance I was use to and it didnt serve my needs well at all. Previously I owned a Sears Craftsman mower, which was smaller horsepower and cutting width. That mower was ten times the Husqvarna was. It had twice the deck clearance and ran well for well over 14 years. When I went to get it repaired, I was offered to look over the New mowers at Youngs sales and service. I did not trade my craftsman in and left it there for repair and after several inquiries and two years later, I found that it was sold out from under me.Needless to say, I forced him to pay me for it. Bottom line is, after owning the Husqvarna for less than 3 years I am still paying for it and it now has a blown engine or so I have been told by Extreme Motors, the new Dealer in Butler, MO. Guess what? Their service was not any better. I have had it in there for a simple blown fuse and $400.00 later it had the wrong ignition put in, with no safety features anymore and they cut my headlight wires to stop the blown fuse problem. I gave them a piece of my mind just like I had given Youngs Sales. May I suggest that you make a better mow, along the lines of Craftsman or John Deere and do not let an unskilled shop operate in Butler furthermore. I am totally done with any Husqvarna product from here on and am seriously considering suing the company. That mower was a piece of junk from the start! I would also like to add that all I have is the card last four on which I am still paying ** and model number # Model # YTH23V48. I believe this company should reimburse each and every customer for whatever Husqvarna product they were unlucky enough to purchase. Absolutely terrible products and even worse service!

I bought the Husqvarna Brand 125B leaf blower thinking I was buying quality, but I was awakened by the fact that this company doesnt stand by their product, and that the leaf blower I bought is pure junk. Husqvarna said no, but they could recommend another repair shop about 50 miles away. I will never ever buy anything from this company again. Bought a Husqvarna YTH24V54V lawn tractor on 8/6/18 at Lowes and a 3 yr extended warranty. $2450 +tax. Before this winter in TN, which is around end of Nov. I winterized it like I have winterized all my outdoor equip for the past 30+ yrs living in upstate NY where the winters are about 3 months longer and much colder. Added stabil to gas in the mowers tank and gas in can. Ran engine long enough to make it to the carb. Why B&S does not install a shutoff valve in the system is beyond me?On 4/18 I decided to cut the grass for the first time this season. Started tractor with no problems and it ran as normal for about 2 mins on the driveway. Drove it to the grass engaged the deck and made it about 6 then stalled. Tried to start and it would not. Pushed back onto the driveway and continued to try and start. If I let it sit for a couple of mins it would start and run although not normal. Called it a day. It rained for two days so I did not look at it. When I did try to start it again. It ran for 15 20 secs but blowing white smoke. Did start it numerous times trying to figure out why the white smoke. Then I noticed it was also blowing oil and gas out of the exhaust! Ok check the gas tank which did have over a gallon in it now had 1/2 in. The crank case was full of diluted oil and gas. The first thing I thought of was the engine is probably now toast. The second thing was call Lowes and have it taken in for service. It took 5 days before they found a servicer to pick it up for repair. I did some internet investigation and found out it was most likely the carb and it seems B&S engines are the only ones to drain the gas into the oil. I also decided to dump the crankcase and change the filter. While the oil filter is draining in the catch pan I notice very file metallic shavings in the diluted stream. GREAT!!The Lowes warranty rep calls me on Tuesday thats (7 days with no mower). 1st call: Informs me that the servicer diagnosis was the carburetor is bad! And its not covered in the warranty. (My mistake and I wont ever let it happen again). I was a little dumbfounded as to why it wasnt but I was more concerned on getting it back. So then I am informed if you want him to do the job it will be 45 for diagnosis and the cost of the carb replacement. (Except she forgot to get that info.) Also informs me that the carb is on back order and the servicer has another mower waiting for one. (OK that raises 2 red flags for me.) Ok ,she will call back with the total and Ill go read the warranty under Owners Warranty Responsibilities. (Here is the part where they void their warranty) As the engine/equipment owner, you should however be aware that B&S may deny you warranty coverage if your equipment or a part has failed due to abuse, neglect, IMPROPER MAINTENANCE, or unapproved modifications. So adding Stabil to the fuel before winter is improper maintenance? Who Knew!!2nd phone call - The price for the carb and the diagnostics is $368. Ok they can do it. Now I ask her Why is the carb not covered? You would think it is since its a main part. Oh they said it was not covered because its a maintenance issue Oh! Surprise! I asked, Is there a eta on when the carbs will be available? No idea what so ever. Greaaat. So it seems maintenance issues have been taking out a lot of carbs since they cant keep them in stock? Why cant a dirty carb be repaired? Can a little (gas and fuel stabilizer) varnish making the float stick destroy the carb? B&S builds inferior carbs and pushes their failures off on their customers. Stay away from BRIGGS and any company who puts this engine in their product.

I bought a Husqvarna 7021P lawnmower this year. After using it for about 2 months, the plastic housing that the mower sits on is cracked and has rendered the mower useless. I bought it back to where I purchased it and was told the warranty wouldnt cover it. I contacted Husqvarna Customer Support online and got a form email response telling me that my problem was solved... Theyve done nothing and now Im paying someone else to mow the lawn!

I am amazed at the amount of people complaining about Husqvarna products on this site. I have always owned Husky products and never had problems. They made killer motorcycles when I was a teenager and now I use their home and garden machines constantly. I bought a 350 chainsaw when I lived in the Colorado mountains, burning seven cords of wood a season and it has never failed to start on the second or third pull. Now, I live in N.C. where everything grows like crazy, using a YTH 2348 lawn tractor mowing a two-acre yard. Other than replacing a drive belt and a front wheel bearing the keeper ring, it has never given me any problems. I wonder if some of these people just dont have a good working knowledge of power equipment maintenance.

I purchased Husqvarna lawn mower in May 2019. A month later when I wanted to install bagging attachment I discovered that a part was broken and I was not able to install it. I had to send it to be repaired to the place I bought it from. Two weeks later they installed a new part and I could use it again. But I had to pay $200 because they said that Husqvarna did not approve this repair to be covered under the warranty. I called Husqvarna to find out why. I could not get an answer. They kept referring me to the place I bought it from. There was no way to escalate it. I am waiting for somebody to call me back to explain. I hope they will make it right. But be aware: Husqvarna does not honor the warranty they advertise on their website!

The baffle center front screw hole broke and the baffle broke the blade. We bought the tractor pre-assembled from Lowes. Lowes would not repair because it was not in the maintenance agreement. We replaced and it happened again so we left the baffle center front off the blade was bent. I bought blades again and found the end of the shaft assembly mandrel stripped so now I have to repair shaft assembly, Mandrel in order to hold the mower blade. I hate this Tractor mower. I would not recommend this equipment to my enemy. I give no stars because I have had to repair it since we bought the darn thing. I guess I have to give a star to submit. :/

For anyone thinking of buying a Husqvarna, dont let the store lied to you like they lied to me. They told me if there was a problem with the mower to bring it back to them and they would fix it in about a week. Well in three weeks it didnt run anymore so I took it back. And was told I cannot bring it there and then I cannot return it, I have to take it to an authorized service center. Not what they told me when I bought it, but it sounds ok, right. Nope. Below is a copy of the text on Husqvarnas webpage. Why would a servicing dealer refuse to repair my equipment that I purchased elsewhere? Each of our dealers is an independently owned business and we cannot control their business decisions. We can only suggest that you call ahead, prior to bringing your unit in for repair, to make sure a dealer can and will assist you. If necessary, contact customer service for other authorized servicing dealer options in your area. All the service centers in my area will not honor the warranty. So I have to pay to have my 3 week old lawnmower repaired! I will never ever buy another Husqvarna!

Within 2 months of owning a Husqvarna 46 inch zero lawn mower, it stopped going forward. With 1.5 months of owning a Husqvarna AWD push mower, it stopped cranking. I took it back to Lowes and was advised that it had to be placed in the shop. Well, the shop returned the mower and stated that the carb was clogged and the starter cord was damaged. This is not covered under warranty. I took my push mower to a local dealer and learned that it needed a new coil. The dealer replaced the coil and the mower started right up. My Husqvarna hedge trimmer stop working after owning it 3 months. The gas line had deteriorated, and of course it was not covered under the warranty. Im done with Lowes and the Husqvarna products.

Amazon has stopped selling this model due to the same complaints and issues. I tried posting a review on their website and they took it down stating irrelevant content. Lowes wouldnt replace it nor would the dealer. They told me I should have bought the extended warranty. Then this year the front wheels drop to the ground, cant push it. Undoubtedly there are plastic bushings holding the front axle and one side broke, cant get a part so the dealer tells me. I guess the only thing made in USA is the motor. The rest made in plastic from God only knows where. 400 dollars of junk and probably havent use this heap of junk no more than 25 times. The only reason yall keep making this crap out of plastic is because you know it will tear up and you just want people to spend more money. And yall call yourself American made built to last. I purchased a new Husqvarna saw from Lowes and use it twice. On second, the use of the engine seized mechanically. I contacted Lowes for repair. The service advisor tried to say I used too much oil in the gas mix and caused the failure. As a mechanic for over 30 years, I informed him that a rich seize was not possible. Foul the plug, maybe, excess smoke, probably, seizing; no way! Authorized to take to local service center. I was informed that the saw was three years old and out of warranty. Produced my (6-month-old) receipt as proof of date. After several weeks of wrangling on the part of the service center, I was authorized to do repair. I found that the wrist pin clip had fallen out and allowed the wrist pin to become lodged under the cylinder. Okay, problem identified and repaired. I was informed by repair center that the carburetor should be replaced for $175, thanks. I got the saw back and sold it on e-bay for 50 cents on the dollar. I went to real chain saw dealer, bought it and it works awesome; 30 cords in and no problems. Never again for Lowes or Husky!I lost $200 and got way too much aggravation.

Paid 3600 for this mower in 2015. Took it back the next day because the deck rattled horribly and amp meter had water in it. Dealer would not even look at the mower. He said it was all normal. The mowing deck could not be leveled. The mower had a 52 fabricated mowing deck that was just way too heavy for the lift mechanism to work properly. If you mowed on the slightest slope, the deck would cut at three different levels. I looked online for forums regarding this mower and found that every owner had the same issues. I took the mower back to dealer the next spring with only 20 hours on it. He offered me 1500 for the mower, said he could not sell those mowers, nobody wanted those mowers. My wife and I so disliked this mower that we only used it 52 hours in 3 years. Thankfully we had a good Kubota and John Deere we could bring to the house and mow. I finally sold the mower last week for 1800 with 52 hours on it. Was glad to be rid of it. The mower was a Husqvarna GT52XLS with Kawasaki engine and fabricated deck. Husqvarnas top of the line garden tractor. The dealer was North Georgia Equipment Sales in Rock Spring, GA 30739. I will never consider another Husqvarna product of any kind.

My experience worse a disaster from day one: The first year/year and a half
My experience worse a disaster from day one: The first year/year and a half entered the shop 6 or 7 times for different reasons. One time the people at the shop were surprised to find out that the clutch was gone, they said it was very rare. I had a John Deere 15 yrs old, and I never knew there was a clutch in these machines. Everything that could break got broken. I am taking it tomorrow again because the belt broke for the second time. Changing the oil is the messiest job you can do, and the deck does not raise high enough, so it cuts so short that the Florida sun burns the grass immediately. On top of that I spent $300.00 in attachments (what the hell was I thinking??!!) that I used only a few times because the chute was getting clogged. It is hard to believe that there was any engineer involved in this product. My John Deere started giving me problems at the end and I sold it. I dont want to sell this one because I FEEL I AM DEFRAUDING PEOPLE. This machine may be great in Canada, or to ride with the grand kids at 6 mph, but certainly useless to mow the grass... unless you dont care about destroying your lawn. I WISH I HAD READ REVIEWS BEFORE I SPENT 2,000.00 IN THIS PIECE OF METAL. By the way: The customer service people are very nice because they are so used to complaints but do not solve absolutely anything. 40 on the phone to be transferred yesterday to the escalation department, they apologized saying that the escalation department was very busy. Well... I believe that!

Husqvarna HU 675 AWD walk behind mower. I purchased this mower in June of 2
Husqvarna HU 675 AWD walk behind mower. I purchased this mower in June of 2014. It has a 3 year warranty. So far it has had a running problem which the dealer found to be a part missing on the carburetor. The dealer replaced the whole carb under warranty. The front drive wheel adjusters bent and both wheels were angled in at the top and out at the bottom. The dealer replaced both front adjusters under warranty but Husqvarna said they would not ever replace them under warranty again as they thought it must be from me abusing the mower, which is not true. The second summer the rear wheels center hubs wore out and both wheels and rear adjusters and some gears in the wheels were replaced by the dealers after a several week wait for parts. The blade adapter wore out so that the blade just spun around. I replaced the adapter and blade at my expense after waiting for parts to come. The outside of the air filter, the filter, and the pre- filter fell off and were lost. I had to buy the new improved complete assembly at my expense because they no longer made the one that my mower came with. This part took about a week to get. The front wheel adjusters were straightened by the dealer but after 2 mowings they are bent again and will not hold adjustment. Last week the drive cable for the AWD broke and they are on back order of at least 15 days. I contacted Husqvarna the time before this breakdown and was on the phone an hour with them and on hold. They did nothing but ask me for model and serial numbers and name at each person I was connected to. After 1 hour of talking and waiting on hold they disconnected me. Today I called again and was told they needed all the info again although they have had many records with my name on this mower. I did not have the info as the mower was in the shop so they would not begin to help me. I went to the shop and called them back with the info and after an hour they said they would review what has happened and call me back. Needless to say I purchased an expensive mower that I thought I would get great service from and that just has not happened. I have spent many weeks each summer without a mower that is usable. It does not matter that it is under warranty because it is their discretion whether the mower is being abused. The dealer has claimed several times that I am letting a fat woman ride on it or that I am jumping up and down on it or that my wife and kids are doing something to it. Nobody has used or probably ever touched the mower except me and the dealer. At the moment I once again am without a mower while it sits in the shop for over 2 weeks minimum for a part that is back ordered. On a positive note, both the front and rear wheel adjusters have now on the newer models have been replaced by a different type. The air cleaner housing has been replaced on the new models by one that has an additional snap which may keep it from falling off. Meanwhile I wait weeks to get my sub standard mower repaired... again.

My mower RZ4623 with extended warranty. The welds on the mower deck broke, mower 15 months old. Would not cover under warranty. I was told that they said theyre all breaking because mower was transported on a trailer???????? I picked it up with a trailer, nothing was said about it. The service center picked it up with a trailer, brought it back with a trailer. Apparently most of this model has the same problem. Its a factory defect and they wont own up to it.This mower is no good, their warranty is no good, and their reputation is no longer good. It is not hard to see this product should be recalled. Besides that, the mower deck rattles like crazy, belt flops around, and comes off. There was no grease in anything. Had to grease all before using. Seat is already cracking apart, loose bolts. I am TOTALLY disappointed in this mower. Money I spent on warranty was a waste. Money spent on the mower was a waste. They did say my ignition switch was covered under warranty (Oh yeah, that is going bad too). STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND COMPANY OR YOULL GET SCREWED. You have been warned. They are no longer the company of good products it used to be. VERY ANGRY. WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. If Lowes was smart, they would stop selling them. It is making them look bad too.

I bought a LGT 2554 from Lowes in Muncie, In.. They also sold me a push plow for snow. The first winter I started pushing snow and broke the frame where the transaxle met. Called Lowes, they had a dealer come out and re-weld the frame (needless to say, I didnt have my tractor for the rest of the winter). The following summer I was mowing my yard for the first time that summer and again, broke the frame where they welded it. Called Husqvarna and complained. They had another guy come up from Milroy, In. to get it and fix it. I got to looking at the frame. It is a one piece stamped into the whole frame with a long throw off then bolted down. Got to looking at John Deere and Cubcadets and they both had a L piece angle iron running from the frame to the transaxle. I told the guy in Milroy about it and he got to checking it out. So that is how he fixed my Husqvarna. He was telling me that that tractor had too much torque for that frame. I have been pushing a lot of snow for 3 years now on that setup without a single breakage. Told Husqvarna about how to fix it, and they just simply said they would look into it.

Where do I start? First off its battery was weak. Most times, I would kill the battery starting the machine. Brought it to the dealer several times (I dont live in town so had to trailer it each time costing me gas and time). Eventually they said the battery was faulty and replaced it. Brought it home and it happened again. Brought it back, and it took two weeks to have it looked at, parts ordered, and get it back. Turns out they had to replace the whole wiring harness even though they didnt see anything wrong with it...the only thing left that it could be they said. By this time, the summer was over and I had only one more mowing for the season. Now to backtrack a little, I was having another problem with the belt coming off and had it to the shop at least twice to have it adjusted. I am quite capable of doing this myself of course but it kept coming off so...back to the shop. They put the belt back on and tried another tension adjustment. Got it home, mowed about 5 minutes and off it comes again. Didnt finish the grass, was pissed so I hauled the battery out and shoved it in the garage. This spring I raised the mower with my backhoe, put the belt back on and inspected the system. ** design, the belt is nearly round and as far as I can tell, it inverts and pops off. With only 5.6 hours on the machine the belt is in tethers from coming off. Good enough. Laid her back down and put the battery back in. Not a gig. Boosted it, not a gig. Again brought it back to the dealer. Turns out the flywheel had a crack in it. Another three weeks waiting with the grass now to my knees. I have a lot of area to mow. I have had this mower two years now and it spent the bulk of its life in the shop with 5.6 hours on it. I contacted Husqvarna and said I wanted a replacement machine as this one is a lemon. I cant begin to say how dissatisfied I was with the response. I got a complaints department who said that there was no one above them that I could talk to. What bull. What were they, the owners!? I run a resort here and I have a lot of equipment around that I have to depend on. I always buy new no I dont get other peoples junk and full warranty. I could have bought a cheaper brand and got a better machine but no, I spent $4000 on this piece of crap that has been in the shop for two years. They told me they couldnt replace it unless the cost was 70% of cost. What about customer service?

I purchased Husqvarna GHT2754 garden tractor 9 years ago from a local dealer. The first year all was well. The second year a pulley bracket broke. Brought the tractor to the dealer for repairs. Was told the tractor was out of warranty so I would have to pay for any repairs. The third year a similar thing happened. Dealer told me he feels the mower deck was under-designed for its size, (54). Would have been nice to know before purchase. Repairs were made. Later that year or possibly the next the deck broke for the third time. Again this was a pulley mount. This time the dealer asked if I would mind if he sent it to a friend who has experience fixing farm equipment. A year passed with no problems but the next year the mower deck front mounting plate broke. I was so frustrated I had a friend fabricate a reinforced part and weld it. Last year the steering stopped working. When disassembled the plastic bearing had failed and wore through the steel mount. Again a new much stronger mount and bearing were fabricated and installed. Yesterday while installing a new drive belt I found the bracket for yet another pulley was cracked to the point it will need to be welded and reinforced as well. Each time I had a failure it cost me time and money to make repairs, hire someone else to cut my grass and even pay to have the dealer pickup the tractor to bring in for repairs. I wish I had kept better records and photos because I think I would be talking to a lawyer regarding this. I should have researched Husqvarna better prior to buying this tractor. I would have been far better off and money ahead, if I had hired a lawn service these past 9 years. My recommendation is to stay away from Husqvarna products unless you enjoy spending your free time rebuilding poorly designed and manufactured products.

I would not buy another Husqvarna product again and I have four or five of their products now.

I bought my RZ4623 on 3-12-12 and my first invoice for warranty work was 6-21-12. While cutting a flat space of grass the deck began to shake violently. I raised the deck and again engaged the blades and it didnt shake as bad but the blade on the right side would not turn. Upon inspecting it closer I noticed that the pulleys are PLASTIC?!? And the bolt and shaft that hold the pulley to the blade housing is METAL? During normal use any mower deck gets a rough ride and it is just a matter of time before metal chews up plastic in such a rough place. I took it in for service and was without a mower for the better part of the summer. Last year was ok. Now this year I was cutting my grass and the same exact thing has happened with the same exact pulley on the right side. I see some people have said the belt comes off and Im guessing the bind and pressure puts extra force on that right side and either the belt comes loose or that metal shaft wears out the plastic on that side. $2600 from Lowes for this piece of crap and 2 out of 3 summers it will be spent inoperable. Lowes passes the buck to Husqvarna and Husqvarna wants me to take it to a service center and fix it. I dont want it fixed, I want a different mower. This is the last full summer of my warranty coverage and I already know this pulley WILL fail again. It already has done the same exact thing twice, why do I want the same LEMON back to break down again next summer to the tune of a $200 repair? There is a definite design flaw on this mower, a manufacturer defect, a LEMON is what it is. But you can forget a recall being issued. There is too much money spent to recall it. They would rather settle their issues one at the time even if it comes to a lawsuit which mine may come to because $2600 for a mower that wont mow 2 out of 3 summers is absolutely unacceptable!

Husqvarna RZ3016 - I have owned this machine for just over a year. It has spent 6 months in the repair shop (1st time) for problems with the zero turn drive system which was not repaired correctly and continues to not work well... In June of this year it would not start so I had to take it back to the dealer for repairs. It is now August and I have not heard anything from the dealer or the repair shop! Due to their slow repair service I was forced to purchase another mower to maintain my yard and my neighbors. $2500.00 in a lawnmower I can not use because it has spent most of its time in for repairs. Another $3000.00 for another mower so I can keep up with yard maintenance!! Do not purchase a Husqvarna Zero Turn mower!!

Bought from Lowes. After 2 years of mowing flat 2 acres, frame cracked in 2 spots, the Briggs has stopped charging. Piece of crap. Head light switch wont work. Midway thru mowing, electric clutch disengages where I have to go back to garage and hook up to battery charger to get deck mowing.

Chain saw model 235 - I bought the saw on July 9, 2009 and have not yet put five liters of mixed fuel through it when it seized. The dealer told me it was finished. The warranty is done and no one cares. Clearly a problem with the saw, but the dealer doesnt care to investigate because they have to invest to find out why it failed and they know I am not paying. Warranty or not, a saw should last more than 5 liters of fuel or theres something wrong with the saw. Be warned.

If you only mow level ground it works well. However, we have minimal slopes in the yard and the mower doesnt have the power to go up the SLIGHT incline. I am not talking a hill here, either. I have to disengage the blades, raise the mower deck to go up incline. I am very disappointed that there isnt enough power to pull the 52 inch deck unless completely level ground. Otherwise, it did a nice job mowing.

Problem with blade and bolt falling off new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden Tra
Problem with blade and bolt falling off new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden Tractor, three times in the 1st year of ownership: Will Husqvarna wait until someone is seriously injured or killed by loose blade? I am angry and dissatisfied. I have contacted the corporate offices as well as the dealership and their home office with no response. On 6/2/11, I purchased a new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden Tractor from STI Turf Care in Colfax, NC. The 2nd day I used the mower with only 5 hours on it, a blade and bolt dropped from the mower. I never heard anything and had mowed a while before I saw the blade and bolt on the ground, together with bolt threads up from the center of the star hole of the blade. I mow a lot of grass and my lawn is certainly not a golf course, but was on smooth and level ground when this happened. The dealer was not going to even come and pick up the 2-day old mower with only 5 hours on it or cover under warranty. They insisted I must have hit something to shear off the bolt. I did not. After planning to return the mower for full refund, the dealer finally agreed to pick it up and make repairs. Im sure they put the same blade and bolt back on the machine. Then in October 2011 (5-month old mower with 88 hours on it), a blade fell off again and I found the bolt within one foot of the blade. Perfectly smooth and level ground once again. The dealer again flatly refused to pick up the mower and make repairs under warranty. I misplaced the bolt in my garage and they priced a new one for $10.00 (no warranty since it had to be my fault per the dealer). I went to LTD in King, NC and bought a new factory bolt for under $6.00. The local repairman I have always trusted to service three John Deere and Toro Wheelhorse (I have used on the same grounds past 15 years without ever having a blade fall off in any of them!). He made the repair, sharpened all the blades and serviced the machine. I decided after their ripoff price for the part that should be warrantied, overall poor service attitude and not standing behind their product, I would not deal with STI again. All went well until yesterday, 6/16/12, with 111.5 hours and just over one year old, the blade fell off again on perfectly smooth and level ground. As with other two times, no noise or any idea blade was off until I came around and saw it on the ground. This time, I cannot find the bolt. I am extremely aggravated and disappointed considering the price I paid for this machine. I am not abusing the tractor or subjecting it to anything or anywhere my two JD or Toro have gone before. Cutting at 2.5 to 3 and no obstacles. This problem is not from the operator; it has to be a mechanical defect. I have not marked the blades so I have no idea if it is the same blade each time. What do you suggest? I received no help from dealership.

I bought my mower less than a year ago. The 4WD self-propelling mower worked great! First summer. Now the POS wont start, cleaned carb, spark plug, new gas, oil etc. Wont start. Lowes said they couldnt help me without a receipt. Arent you guys a big enough company to have a system where you can pull me up?! So aggravated. My electric non-propelled mower that was 20+ years worked 1000 times better than this mower. And that thing was free! Regretting my purchase. Will never buy another nor shop at Lowes.

RZ4621 Zero Turn Mower - I have one season on a brand new machine. 3 clutches, 3 belts, two tension springs, one pulley and one pulley pedestal and I still cannot keep the belt on. The dealer and Husqvarna do not recognize that there is a problem. One thing I do know and that is I am becoming a very experienced Husqvarna mechanic. I purchased this unit because I have weed trimmers, chainsaw and a Husqvarna rototiller that have all been very good. I thought their mowers would be no different. Yesterday I went and purchased a new Deere zero turn mower to replace this one as I am sick and tired of fighting with this one. The Deere has to be better. It cant be any worse.

I bought a 46 Huskee riding mower for my birthday last April and have had carburetor problems ever since. It ran fine for a few months, then would act like it was running out of gas then would shut off. I couldnt get it cranked back up for several hours, then it would only run for a short time. I had a local guy pick it up and was charged $125 for carb work along with pick up and delivery. Later that next day---same thing. He came back to my house and took out the plug and asked me to start it--gas came spewing out, then he cleaned the plug and opening, and it ran enough to finish my lawn. Next week, same thing again. This time I called Lowes and the mngr agreed to pick it back up and take it to their service center. They called about 10 days later saying the repair bill was over $409!!! Wtf!! I said its under a 2-year warranty---they said carburetor problems were not covered, and they would charge me a diagnostic charge and a p/u and delivery charge just to have it back to the store unfixed. Also the folks they use (Altaquip???) were not Husqvarna service dealers anyway. Now, Lowes mngr. said they would deliver it back to my house and I would have to call a factory authorized service dealer in my area to fix it... Huskee said there would still be a charge to have carb problems fixed, so Im stuck with a mower that broke down on me and still have to pay... What a rip-off!! I did the research on the highest rated riding mowers, and husky was at the top---never again!! Buyer beware!! PS: My sisters husband bought one too and has exactly the same problems!! Mike.
