2026 Ford E-Transit

The 2026 Ford E-Transit is an all-electric commercial van designed for businesses and fleet operators that need zero-emission cargo or passenger transport. It replaces traditional gasoline or diesel Transit vans with an electric alternative that aims to cut operating costs, reduce emissions, and offer reliable utility for daily commercial use.

The E-Transit maintains the basic shape and mission of the classic Transit — large cargo volume, flexible configurations, and tough duty performance — but it does so with an electric powertrain that’s optimized for work.

Electric Powertrain and Performance

Instead of an internal combustion engine, the E-Transit uses:

An electric motor that delivers smooth, instant torque

A high-voltage battery pack sized for commercial range needs

Single-speed electric drive for straightforward, responsive performance

Electric power gives the E-Transit benefits such as:

Instant torque for confident starts with heavy loads

Quiet operation compared with engine-powered vans

Zero tailpipe emissions — useful in urban delivery zones or emission-restricted areas

The powertrain is built to handle repeated start-stop driving and heavier daily use common in commercial settings.

Driving Range and Charging

The E-Transit is engineered to offer a practical electric range that fits typical commercial routes, whether for deliveries, service work, or passenger transport. Key features include:

Battery range suitable for many daily work cycles

Regenerative braking that recovers energy under deceleration

Charging flexibility with home (depot) charging and public fast charging support

The electric drivetrain allows fleet managers to plan routes and charging schedules around operational needs, with charging overnight or at central depots.

Configurations and Capability

The E-Transit is available in multiple configurations to support different commercial uses:

Cargo Van

Wide, tall cargo area designed for boxes, tools, gear, and deliveries

Flexible interior space for racks, shelves, or partitions

Passenger Van

Seating for passengers — good for shuttles or crew transport

Windows and seating layouts tailored for people rather than cargo

Different roof heights and wheelbase options help buyers choose the size that matches their loading and space requirements.

Practical Utility

The 2026 E-Transit is built for real work:

Large cargo volume with easy access through sliding side doors and rear doors

Durable interior surfaces designed to withstand heavy use

Tie-downs and mounting points to secure loads

Upfit-friendly layout for shelves, racks, refrigeration, or other business equipment

It’s engineered so businesses can adapt it to tasks such as deliveries, service calls, catering, and passenger shuttling.

Interior and Comfort

Inside, the E-Transit focuses on functionality and usability:

Driver Area

Comfortable seating for long work shifts

Intuitive controls oriented toward productivity

Digital display for range, charging, and vehicle info

Tech and Connectivity

Central touchscreen for navigation, media, and vehicle settings

Smartphone integration and hands-free controls

Connectivity tools that help with routing, range planning, and fleet management

The cabin is designed to support the driver during a full day of operations.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Even as a commercial vehicle, the E-Transit includes modern safety and assistance systems that make work easier and safer, such as:

Automatic emergency braking

Lane-keeping support

Blind-spot monitoring

Rear-view camera and parking aids

These systems help reduce fatigue and improve confidence in tight spaces, busy streets, and parking lots.

Operating Advantages

Transitioning to the E-Transit can offer businesses a few key advantages:

Lower operational costs compared with fossil fuels

Reduced maintenance — electric drivetrains have fewer moving parts than engines

Quieter operation on start-stop routes

Zero local emissions, which can matter in cities with clean-air rules

These benefits can make the E-Transit a compelling choice for fleets focused on efficiency and sustainability.

Who It’s For

The 2026 Ford E-Transit is ideal for:

Delivery fleets and couriers

Service and repair professionals

Passenger shuttles and crew transport

Businesses wanting to reduce operating emissions and fuel costs

It’s built for organizations that need dependable, versatile electric commercial transport.

Summary

The 2026 Ford E-Transit blends:

All-electric propulsion with instant torque and quiet operation

Commercial utility with durable, spacious cargo or passenger space

Modern connectivity and driver support tech

Safety systems to assist in busy work environments

Practical range and charging support suited to daily routes

Overall, it’s a work-ready electric van that helps businesses move goods and people with reduced emissions and lower ongoing costs while maintaining the flexibility and strength expected from a Transit-based platform.

Ford Motor Company dont want business from US citizens of Puerto Rico... On November 24, 2017 at the Central Florida International Auto Show I was enjoying a great Auto Show especially looking at the Pickup trucks inside the Orlando Convention Center. Ford, Nissan and Chevy pickups were my top pick for my next purchase, the only other thing that I needed to was to test drive them. So after spending all day at the show I went outside and test drove with Nissan, Dodge and others with my Puerto Rico drivers license with no issues. But when I stop at the Ford Test drive tent I show my Puerto Rico drivers license like I did with the other 3 locations and was notify that it was no good, only US driver license. I told the lady that Puerto Rico is part of the United States but she didnt care. Last time I check Ford has dealerships in the island of Puerto Rico. As a US citizen and a US service member, I felt disappointed, disrespect... Ford Motor Company lost a customer... and hopefully many more.

I have my Ford Raptor in the service dept for the cam phase issue which is a recall. I get the notice when my truck is out of the warranty, so guess what, Ford will not cover the cost, but to add to this injury they dont have parts available for this recall. My truck has been sitting in a Ford Service Dept for 2 months waiting on these phasers, with no eta. on parts, and no assistance. Ford may look good but they do not stand behind the product, Chevy will definitely be my next choice.

May of 2012 we purchased a brand new Ford f150. Less than 2 years later (before 50000 miles) we noticed the check engine light and airbag light came on. Took it in and got charged to do diagnostic test $75 with a warranty. Ford told us someone has to get paid for the work. Results were a fuel sensor. Our gauges are off. We can have a full tank of gas and it says empty and even alarms us. We can be driving and put the truck in neutral, turn it off and on and it will then give a reading. The check engine light is not always on and same with the airbag. Never got a reason for the airbag. The Ford mechanic claims there are no problems. We even had an experience once while driving we noticed smoke coming from under the drivers seat and smelled a hot smell. We pulled over to check it out and it stopped and we found nothing wrong or signs of burning. We feel ripped off and with the mechanics claiming nothing is wrong (when we know there is). We feel cheated and endangered.

You should have NO stars for this rating of this company. This company should be issuing a recall for the problem with my truck (fuel tank collapse). This happens all of the time with trucks in the oil fields. It is a venting problem that gets clogged with dirt. Aren’t trucks designed to be in dirt? Cost is exorbitant and unnecessary. I would like Consumer Affairs to look into this problem. Imagine how many F-350 trucks are on the road and the potential of breakdowns is enormous. I think they allow this to happen to just line their pockets. Or maybe they put faulty parts on these trucks. They did have these issues back in 2012 on smaller cars.

I purchased an F150 in Aug 2016, and my bank account was scammed in Feb 2017. In April 2017 Ford sent me a notice of default and right to cure. I discovered that Ford credit had not updated my personal information even though I had the car in service at the Ford dealer and gave my personal information on two separate occasions when I went to get the truck serviced. Ford credit stated they did not have my phone number so just put me on the bad credit list and threatened to repossess the truck even after I had placed $10,675 down to purchase the vehicle. The dealership was given my new information in February when I needed an oil change, but they did not enter it into their system. This is a reflection of the shoddy, greedy and poor customer service of the Ford Dealer. I will never purchase another shoddy vehicle from Ford again. I have been a loyal customer for over 20+ years and realized that Ford could care less. I will NEVER again purchase a Ford and will discourage anyone else from considering a Ford EVER.

We took our 98 Ford F150 to the dealer nearby to get this recall fixed. We told them to look at the gas tank because it is leaking. They replied back that we would have to pay 500 dollars to fix the gas tank because its a fire hazard. When we asked why we had to pay for it when it was caused by the straps failing they lied and said that the straps havent failed yet and they would be fixing them. I then told them that I record all of my calls and have pictures of the gas tank resting on the shield that doesnt come standard on the F150. That is the only reason the tank didnt hit the road and cause an accident. In the pics you can see that there are no straps left. I also have a video of gas leaking out when putting gas into the vehicle. So I have tons of proof you just lied to me. The service tech said he had to talk with his manager and they would call us back. The manager said they called Ford and they will not be fixing my gas tank. I dont believe this is right and will be filing a complaint with the NHTSA.

We have been loyal Ford automobile/truck owners for over 30 years. Bought a C-MAX in April 2013 based on Fords claim of 47 mpg hwy/47 mpg city. Then the truth came out and Ford said they were wrong. Ford was very nice and sent two checks totaling around $900 for their mpg mistake. Then there have been numerous recalls. We contacted the head of Fords Extended Service Plan department in September, 2014, to request an extension of the warranty to 100,000 at no cost to us. No answer back from Mr. Michael **. Sent another letter. Again, no response. Contacted Fords Customer Relation Center via email. Received a response back the same day. Fords CRC asked for clarification as to what the problem was and what we were asking for. I responded three times and never heard back. Sent two letters to William Ford, Jr., Mark Fields, and Frederiek Toney (President, Global Ford Customer Service Division). Guess what? NOT ONE PERSON RESPONDED.....again! Was really ticked off now so on January 12, 2015 I called the number that was in small print underneath the responder from CRCFMC. Another exercise in futility. Spoke with a Debra who advised us: Ford could not and would not extend the service contract. Because Ford had sent monetary compensation for the mpg disparity there was nothing else Ford was going to do. We had waited too long to request an extension (please remember we started this process four months before speaking with Debra). When I asked Debra why there was never any follow-up to my three replies to the CRC emailer, Debra said the 1 800 number is in Florida and the CRC emailer was probably in Michigan. Debra said that essentially there is no coordination between emailing Fords CRC and calling the 1800 number listed in the CRCs email. Isnt that a heck of a way to run a business? So we are done defending Ford when our friends ask us how our FixOrRepairDaily is. We are done buying any Ford, new or used. If we were to win a free car and it turned out to be a Ford we would donate it. In closing, we could have accepted a sorry, it isnt happening to our request of Ford, case over. But the non-response from anyone at Ford shows they could care less..... and now, we dont either.

The second front spring has now broken. First it was the drivers side - now the passenger. I dont understand why the recall doesnt include the 2003 model, since they obviously have the same problem as the other ones that there has been a recall on. The mechanic said it wont be long before the rear passenger one goes too. This is a very dangerous position that we have been put in by Ford not recalling these. Who is responsible for starting a recall? This is not fair or good business.

As a leasee with Ford leasing, two vehicles, I am disappointed that Ford does not support account holders when trying to log on to their account... when submitting inquiries about early termination of a lease... converting a lease to purchase before an existing lease is up. Like other large corporations, Fords business model appears to basically be: For every customer lost, we get five new ones. Which follows the third world agricultural model of slash and burn... without sustainable crops planted. I know many of you already know how angry I am at Ford, but let me just tell yall about how Mark Martin Ford and Kia in Batesville, AR has made it worse. Keep in mind, Ive already had to have three other recall issues fixed (one of which is the clutch which is getting fixed again). So my car had stopped turning off for a week or so when I pressed the off button. Even when I left the vehicle and took my keys, it sounded like the engine continued to run for another ten minutes until it went off although the internal stuff turned off. On top of that, it had been hesitating to accelerate and shuddering, making it difficult and sketchy to drive. Which by the way, is an issue of which a class action lawsuit was filed against Ford and Ford lost a couple years ago.My battery had been tested a few days before this even happened and it was good. Almost a week ago, the engine wouldnt turn on when I tried to start it, but all of its internal lights and components turned on and wouldnt shut off. It became a very loud blinky, electrical hassle to get them to turn off. My cousin came over to try to jump my battery but nothing happened. He tested it at that time and it showed the battery was fine. Ford towed it to their service department and I didnt hear anything except that they wouldnt be able to look at it until late Friday. So I didnt hear anything until Monday when they said my problem was I just had a bad battery. And that I would have to pay at least $130 for that. They also said they would have to replace my clutch but that would be covered under warranty. At no point did they explain why my car wouldnt shut off when it should have, but they said itll be ready today. I said I disagreed on the battery and the service manager said well you can have your old battery back and not pay a thing then. But still no explanation of why my car wouldnt shut off and said that couldnt be related to my battery going bad overnight. Mark Martin Ford had my car for two days before even looking at my car. So in my mind, my battery went bad somewhere between that Thursday morning and whenever they looked at it on Friday or Monday morning.I called Ford customer service corporate where they gave me a case number and told me the service manager at Mark Martin Ford and Kia would call me about it which didnt happen. When I called him, he told me he didnt even know what a case number was and said I needed to call Ford. I called Ford and they said its the dealerships problem, call them. Both of them hyperfixated on the fact that my battery was dead and didnt explain or care about the other issues. So, how they are going to resolve it: put my old, now bad battery back on and I can take it as is, no payment necessary. Instead of fixing the actual problem of my car not turning on and off when it should. Sounds like the professional type of Ford service youll hear about when you get put on hold for forty minutes. They both said maybe I should talk to the manager. Flashback to six months after I even bought the car when I talked to the manager and he told me it was my problem because I bought the car to begin with. This after I had already had a leak, had to spend a month and a half to even get a spare key, and dealt with one or two recall issues where after they fixed it, I had problems after. He and Ford, as a company, have reminded me how bad of a reputation Ford has and why I never want to deal with them again. I have no idea why I let myself get talked into buying a Ford in the first place but it was a mistake all around. I want to urge yall to never buy a Ford Fiesta or Focus at the very least and to reconsider going to Mark Martin Ford in the future for a car. I paid full asking price for this car and it has plagued me and will continue to plague met until I get rid of it.

I purchased a truck at the Ford dealership in Baton Rouge a 2012. And this vehicle along with newer models dont come with fuel caps. I have contacted the parts department about getting a fuel plug because someone could easily put something in the tank and ruin the engine. He rudely said, Well I think the person who put the stuff in the fuel tank is responsible not Ford. Well I think if you buy a 20,000 dollar or more vehicle from Ford you should at least be able to get a gas cap. I wont be buying another vehicle like this and I will let the thousand of people I work with know how Ford is too cheap to put a fuel cap on its trucks and they want everybody who buys a truck to buy their own cap. Something needs to be done about this. I will not purchase a fuel cap from Ford. It should have came with the truck. If something happens to my truck I will get an attorney and take this up the manufacturer. This is asinine. You spend thousands of your hard earned money with this people and they cant give you a gas cap. I bet Chevy has gas caps on their trucks. Somebody needs to send me a fuel cap for this truck. I am pissed these trucks have no fuel cap or Ford does not provide one. I will make sure I tell everyone I see about this. Hopefully Ford will start putting on caps when they lose enough sales. My vehicle lost power coming off one of the biggest bridge in rush hour. My family was with me in the car when it lost full power. We almost had a car slam into the back of us. The car has 41000 miles on the vehicle with a 65000 mile warranty. The car was in the shop for a complete overhaul on the transmission. This took over 30 days to repair. I received the vehicle back only to find out the issue was not resolved. I then returned with the vehicle to be repaired. They performed another overhaul on the transmission. The vehicle is still not fixed and this time it’s been almost 2 months. My ** case manager is Michelle **. Regional Customer Service Person. She told me the vehicle will not qualify for a buyback because I’m a secondary owner. I have to stay on top of this person consistently to find out the updates on the vehicle. This is a common issue with the Ford Edge vehicles. She can’t give me a time frame of when the vehicle will be returned or the status on the current issue. I have continued to make the payments on the vehicle. Michelle hasn’t made any attempt to accommodate me even after asking. This is my first Ford vehicle and I will tell you this was a mistake doing business with Ford.

On 12/1/2013, I started my car (2008 Ford Fusion) and it sounded & seemed normal. However, after driving less than 2 miles, my engine suddenly decelerated and the RPMs dropped dramatically. I tried to accelerate and it would not increase speed. I was able to get off the road safely. I had to have my car towed. The mechanic determined that the problem was due to a faulty power train control module which impacts the ignition coils and the estimated cost of repair is $2100! One of my ignition coils was melted. Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (which suggests replacing the power train control module & all 6 ignition coils) on this issue; however, they do not deem this a safety issue! Cars that just stop running or decelerate quickly is most definitely a safety issue. I can think of many scenarios where this issue could cause injury or perhaps even death. Had I been on a freeway or driving at a greater speed where there was more traffic, I could certainly have ended up in an accident with another vehicle. I researched this concern and found that I am not alone and there have many others affected by the same exact situation. Ford is of the opinion that this should be the responsibility of the car owner and they do not hold themselves accountable. I understand how warranties work and I realize that cars age. However, this issue has nothing to do with wear and tear or age. This is a faulty piece of equipment that is causing a safety issue when it hampers a vehicles ability to continue in a forward motion at a normal rate of speed. Ford Motor Company should issue a safety recall...not just a technical service bulletin.

I love my 2017 F350 Super Duty Platinum diesel dually. But there’s a minor flaw in the design of the side view mirrors on current Ford Super Duty trucks. The upper back half of the mirrors are available with a painted or chrome cap & the chrome option is the problem. The cap wraps around the inside upper edge of the mirror casing & the chrome acts like a mirror which reflects anything from whatever angle it’s set at. In my case, the driver’s side chrome cap reflects the white & yellow stripes from the center of the road. The passenger side reflects anything off to the right side of the road like construction barrels, signage on fences, light poles, etc.. These reflections are a distraction to the driver. When these items or paint lines flash in my peripheral vision, they can be a distraction. Or when I take a quick look in my side mirrors to check traffic around me, the flash reflections of other objects off the chrome caps makes it difficult to concentrate on the actual traffic I’m trying to quickly assess. Ford should paint the inside edge of the chrome caps with a flat black paint. I did this with my 2017 F350 Platinum dually & it solved the problem. Now the only movement I see is in the actual mirror itself. I painted only the inside edge of the chrome cap, which is not even noticeable to anyone looking at the truck from outside. This would be a very simple fix for Ford to do with the chrome mirror caps.

Oct. 20 back in shop, Dec. 20, back in shop. March 16, back in shop. March 20 back in shop, they said throttle $100.00. March 22 back in the shop. March 28 back in the shop. Picked car up March 31 2017, told me needed a new battery. Didnt want them to put battery. This is the same problem, I had in Oct., Dec., March. Engine light came on while driving. Vehicle began making a thrashing type noise and losing speed. I had to drive home with my emergency lights on. Real slow. I will never buy a Ford car again. Service dept. dont know what theyre doing. Car was towed 2 times.

I bought my daughter a Ford Focus 2016 with about 47000 miles. 3 weeks ago the engine exploded with 53327 miles!!! But Ford doesn’t care!!! They don’t that it was only a few months out of power train warranty, but only time wise not mileage wise! I am really disappointed! I was looking to buy a Ford Bronco but now I will not buy a Ford or an affiliate brand again, until now we had only 2 Ford and 2 Lincoln which is Ford too but that will change now. I will have car brands that are proud of their products and take care of their customers that gave you 10 years and 100,000 miles warranty I’m sorry Ford is dead to me and my Family.

The truck is amazing. Great ride. Very smooth for a truck. Had it for 3 years and not one problem with anything. Ford f150 is a very dependable truck. It has lots of cab room a day. A very smooth ride. Easy to steer and to maneuver in traffic. Great visibility for a truck as well out all windows and mirrors.

Purchased a 2015 Transit Connect XLT for our business at the end of December. Put on the road mid-January. March 18th the truck made a large noise and then died. We had it towed to the Ford Dealership where we purchased it. The dealership spoke to Tech Support for Ford.. Did a few things suggested and nothing worked. No one could/can give me a date about when it will be fixed. A new part was accelerated with no time frame delayed twice. The truck is sitting at the dealership. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE has been USELESS. Their only answer is part is accelerated.I then went onto corporate website and emailed Tier 1 support who referred me back to the People I had been speaking too. The Service Reps that have never had called to tell us what is going on. No One Cares. No one can tell us when the part is due in. This week the Dealership took the part Ford was hoping would fix the truck from another truck and still it is not fixed. Again, no follow up from Customer Service. We have 6 Ford Trucks and have never had a problem. I will have to think long and hard before we will purchase another after this experience.

Both rear springs broke on my 2003 Ford Taurus. I had to replace both rear springs and struts, plus pinch bolt sheared upon removal of struts. I had to remove the entire right rear wheel hub to remove sheared bolt. Luckily, the vehicle was stationary when broken springs were discovered. It could have been ugly if springs had broken and punctured tires while moving.

9.18.16 Backed halfway under carport (late evening). 15/20 min later while in the bed unloading camping gear I heard crackling noise. Looked over cab and saw smoke and flames coming from engine compartment. It happened so fast. The wind was not in my favor as I smelled nothing. Fire concentrated on passenger side but truck is a total loss. Fire dept. took an ax to the hood cause the linkage was melted and they couldnt open hood to put fire out (strange why they choose that spot). No indication as to why or how this happened. Only 68K miles. I am devastated. I made this truck unique with custom adds and it was MINE!! I am a die hard FORD Lady and now not so sure I want to replace it with another one. My heart is broke.

Purchased 2012 F450 in January 2013, $53,000.00. I purchased an additional warranty that covered motor parts only 200,000 mile warranty. I have a hot shot business and needed a dependable truck. Running a lot of miles, keeping maintain 61,000 miles the air conditioning stopped working, I contacted Ford, due to miles, air conditioning was not covered, $693.00 out of pocket costs.3 days after the air compressor repair, the Truck started making a loud noise. It was the Turbo, Ford had my truck for over 1 month for repair, I lost my business. I parked the Truck to sell, after 5 months no sell, started business 1/14/14, under 15,000 miles later on 2/25/14 air compressor locked up. 2/27/14 Truck started making a loud noise, pulled over waited until the next morning for Ford repair to open. 2/28/14 confirmed Turbo problem, they were too busy and we needed to return Monday 3/3/14 1000 miles away from home, additional hotel costs, delivery costs and had to cancel all of our other jobs that we had scheduled. I had to hire another company to finish my delivery at a high cost. 3/3/14, Was told by Ford the Turbo would be repaired in 3 days. They gave us a rental car to return home, the car covered 2 days, 1200 miles to get home. 3/4/14 Ford called to see if rental car had been returned yet, and to let me know that some sensors burn would needed be replaced, out of pocket charge of $392.00. When we returned the car, they tried to charge us $146.00 because we were over the 1200 miles. We calculated for them we did not go over 1000 miles. 2/28/14, I opened a case with Ford, was called back on 3/5/14 and was told they would get us a airplane ticket to return for the truck after the repairs were complete. I explained about our losses, was told they could not help with any of that. I stated that I felt I should consult with an attorney and was told that this person could no longer speak to me and the call was ended. 3/12/14 no contact from Ford, I am losing business again, and there is nothing I can do? I have consulted with 3 attorneys. This is not something they can help with? I am being wronged, I spent $53,000.00 for dependable Truck I thought, now I am losing money every day that truck is not running. I have a Hugh Truck payment each month and a large Insurance payment, and Ford cannot help me. I am losing my business again. I need some help PLEASE, the truck was supposed to have the air compressor replaced 3/3/14 in Florida. It was a faulty air compressor.

Bought a 2018 F-150 XLT FX4 off road in May of 2018 and have many of issues. The major issue is the warped dashboard. Ford knows about the issue but will not do anything about it. Many of the new car trucks on the lots have this issue. The other issues that you need to be made aware of is; leaking water at the fire wall onto the brake pedal (3rd time in the shop and cant find the leak), both fog lights replaced because of broken on the inside, both drive and passenger seatbelts had to be replaced, 2 tail light bulbs replaced before realizing that the house was leaking and holding water, and the transmission has been looked at more than 5 times now. Every little thing that was covered by warranty has found its way on to Carfax. The price in may was $60,000.00 now because of the work the value of the truck is only $37,000.00. Be careful.

I drove my 2001 F-150 to the store today, came home and parked it in my apartment complexs parking lot at approximately 3:30PM. My wife came home at around 9PM to find my truck engulfed in flames. I have had no serious issues with this truck since I bought it 10 years ago. Tonight, it burst into flames and I looked up on spontaneous combustion on Ford trucks on a whim and find this a pretty common occurrence. Thanks Ford, being a paid for truck, I only carried liability and am now out of a ride. Thanks again Ford. I have owned Ford vehicles all my life. Recently my car was smelling like gas, so we pulled it out of the garage for a day not sure if that was actually the problem. Again after leaving it in the garage over night the smell was very strong of gasoline. We took it to a shop right up the street thinking that maybe it was a gas filter issue but once they lifted the car up it was clear that there was a gas leak at seam or the half full level as described by the automotive technician. We were referred to the Ford dealer. We called the dealer who informed us that there was a recall on the gas tank for this vehicle and to bring the car in. I paid over 80 dollars to have the car towed to Avis Ford in Southfield, Mi. from Belleville, Mi. Only to be told that there was a mistake and that the 2009 Edge was not included in the recall. After doing further research I have found that many Ford models from 2007-2014 have had gas tank leak issues. Manufacturer related not customer related damage to the tank. It frightens me to think that something as important as the gas tank should EVER leak because of manufacturer NEGLIGENCE and then when addressed with the dealer, the same dealer that my family has purchased 6 cars from that I would be told it wasnt covered. So when does the recall actually go into effect on a car/part? Does it take us dying or being seriously injured to create a recall on something as serious as a gas tank? I travel with an infant in my backseat 5 days per week and cannot imagine a gas related fire in my car with a baby in a 5 point restraint car seat and being able to get them out safely in an event such as that. I have always purchased my vehicles based on safety ratings first, but I guess the Ford built Edge is a hoax for customers like me.Prior to todays car problems, I had my car into Avis Ford several times for transmissions problems. Gear slippage within the first year of ownership and continuously over the years. They could never find anything wrong with it. The problem got so bad that I took the car to Precision Tune on 8 mile where the Master Mechanic said my transmission was bad, the fluid inside was black and take it to the dealer and I would need a new transmission. I went to the dealer and my car was still under warranty. I showed them the Info from the shop I had just came from. They kept the car a few days, said it was just a leak. They repaired the so called leak and said I did not need a new transmission.Few months pass and I return to the dealer with the same issues and I am no longer under the warranty. Im then given an estimate of $4600.00 worth of transmission related work. I feel like Ive been sold a $ 40,000.00 LEMON and only have 60,000 miles on it. Sadly I will never buy another vehicle from Avis Ford nor suggest anyone I know to either. I have decided to notify the BBB, the NTSB and whatever agencies govern these issues.

The car currently has 25K miles on it and I have had nothing but issues with it. The transmission went out at 20K miles. The radiator cracked at 25K. There has been faulty wiring in the seats and door panels to name a few. I wrote a letter to Ford Motor Company and they called me back with a case number and opened an investigation on their end. They never called me back when I left messages and provided no information to me on the buyback program. I was just informed today (as my car is on day 26 of being in service at the dealership) that my car does not qualify for a buyback. When I questioned as to why, she said, I dont know. Im not an attorney. Youd have to hire one.” I am so disappointed in Fords product, and horrible customer service.

My 2001 Mercury Sable LS had two broken coil springs in the rear and my wife was commuting with my daughter in the car. I noticed the sag and took it into the shop and told me that if I had waited any longer, she would have had an accident because the spring had corkscrewed a few inches from the inside sidewall! Ford would not cover it, even though it is a defect in metal and quality. It cost me $700 to replace rear suspension. Then my cars front tires were wearing unevenly, so I brought it to the tire shop to have it balanced and rotated. I asked the technician what he noticed and said the tires were wearing a little weird. I already knew I had a problem from there. I brought it to a reputable local front end shop and they found broken springs in the front! I called Ford to complain and they said that there was an extended customer courtesy on the front springs 10 years or 140K, but I did not qualify any longer - 80K on the car but a year too late. I said, “NHSTA says it’s a safety hazard, so I dont understand why you would not be interested in taking care of your customers and their families?” The rep. repeated the same speech and said the engineers often review these reports and could address this again in the future. So now, Im stuck with another suspension bill. This is why people leave the brand, a little help builds loyalty.

I have been a Ford truck for for many years. 7.3s 460s, etc. I have been told to stay away from 6.0 Fords. Since my background includes being a Master Auto and Truck Technician. I have been working mainly on customers vehicles. My personal experience started when I was in the market for a parts truck with a 6.0. I bought a theft recovery low miles 2006 F350 Lariat that was ransacked, stripped and ditched off road. I bought it for $2500. After feeling sorry for that poor thing, Ive decided to rebuild it with parts that was just sitting in my possession. After extensive repairing of chopped wiring harnesses, replacing of missing parts and having it recertified and then upgrading with EGR delete, programmer, cooling system low temp modifications, upgraded turbo and servicing with premium fluids. Adding 1 quart of ATF at every fillup. Fast forward 30k miles and 3 yrs of use. This is the best Ford I owned. It even runs better than my 05 Ram 3500 Cummins (48re transmission is nowhere close to the Fords 5r110).

Last year, front right coil spring failed and punctured the tire requiring the car to be towed and repaired at a cost of $550. Seven months later, rear drivers side coil failed. I have owned a Ford since I got my license at 16 years old. I have had nothing but issues with them, and I always think - Ill just try again. I will not be trying again. The last SUV I had was a Ford Edge. 58,000 miles the computer crashed it. Barely made warranty. 75k I had 2 different parts of the transmission go back to back, within months of each other. Shift solenoid one time, I believe the computer to the transmission the other. $4,000 later! Now, I have a 2015 Ford Fusion, bought brand new. I work from home and really do not drive a ton, but average, slightly under. Has 50,000 miles on it. I had been hit on the head which caused damage to my brain in which I havent been able to work. My wife is in kidney failure awaiting treatment for chemo and had been infusing to stay alive! We have always been good payers with Ford credit company, have always, when we made an arrangement to pay, did pay my Ford account. My wife called and was not authorized on my account and talked to Ford customer service department in regards to payment arrangements on my truck, acct **, for an F250 truck. Ford spoke to her and she had asked about it in the future, since I was sick with head injury, if we had to give back vehicle voluntarily in the future, if something happened, what are the steps. The customer service advised her not to do that and to try to find another person to buy the contract and get out of name. The customer service looked at the account and said that as long as $45 was made and a payment of $175 was made in 7 days, the account would be fine and the vehicle would be okay. And, Ford would work with us on the truck until health was better as we were good customers with Ford! After the conversation with Ford, my wife said that she had asked about repossession, they werent interested in doing that. After she heard what would happen, payment then was made on the truck for $399.15 and another for $175 and $200 through the automated system on the phone.Anytime I tried to pay my account over the phone, the contract number would come up as fusion and SSN would not match. Ford was told several times about the error, something was done in refinance, several payments were made, and 3 days later, at 1:40 am, my truck was repossessed from my yard, after my being in the hospital with severe brain injury. Ford had told me a week before the vehicle was fine as long as arrangement was followed through and the Ford truck would not be in default or repossessed in which there was no letter, no warning, nothing. They came, got the truck with payment arrangement done and agreed to by Ford Credit! Payments that were made werent credited correctly on the truck or the other acct **. Edge is ahead, not due till August 2012 with $100 due in July 2012.Being sick, I requested help with the truck since I havent been able to work and I could have borrowed money to catch up payment if I knew of them coming to get the truck! There was no letter, no warning! Yolanda, in customer service, is rude. She told my wife and me on the speaker phone after the truck had been repossessed that the reason was because my wife had asked about voluntary surrendering of the truck if something happened in the future but not at present time. Ford should have not even spoken to my wife about the account. I should have been contacted with this information. It was my account, not my wifes! The repossession company, the driver for Carolina Lending out of Myrtle Beach, SC picked the truck up 3 days after payment arrangement was made and payment posted on Saturday, the 12th. The truck was picked up on the 10th.The repossession driver lied and was rude to my wife and taunted me at the repossession lot, laughed and said the only reason this happened was because of my last name, **. The driver held a grudge for the ** family and threatened that he was coming for my Edge that was current. The system at Ford doesnt post for 3 days or more. That is not my fault. My Edge is not due till August 2012. The driver was rude and threatening me on the lot with vulgar language and rudeness! The police have a report! Ford had no right to speak to an unauthorized person on the account and also, after payment arrangement was made and agreed, and customer service told me a week before and my wife, that nothing would happen and they repossessed. This was wrong. Please help me. Now they want me to pay my truck in full, $18,000. Yolanda is a rude and nasty person at customer service and the supervisor Ms. ** wont call me back! Please help me!

Two weeks ago l took delivery on a new ordered Ford Lariat f150, paying 52000 plus tax in full. Beautiful high end truck with 20 inch chrome wheels. Two days after taking delivery I was installing wheel locks. I noticed one rim was damaged with two 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/8 puncture marks in the chrome which were starting to show signs of rust and had fine scratches in the chrome as someone tried to remove the defect. It appears that someone dropped the rim and tire on some sort of sharp object. I returned to the Ford dealer where they took pictures and filed a complaint with Ford. Declined, they appealed a second time and that was declined by Ford. The dealer has offered a new rim for an additional 500 plus dollars. Advice, just because a vehicle is expensive and new check the cosmetics of the vehicle THOROUGHLY. Dont close the deal if you see any cosmetic damage. Dont expect Ford to provide ANY assistance for this type of damage.

After 16 yrs of almost impeccable service my wifes 2001 Mazda Tribute XL engine failed with 165k miles. We got a lot of enjoyment and an excellent quality vehicle. So we started a search for a new product Toyota Honda Pilot, Mazda CX-5 excellent engineering and very dynamic, Ford Explorer. Mist full size SUVs have 3 rows of seats and are too large to fit in out 3 car garage. I was never really impressed with the Ford Escape 2010 and earlier. Tested a 2012 with 80k miles and it ran well but the dealer price of 16k was too high. Found another 2012 with sunroof and 56k miles. Not bad but 5k. Finally we tested a Ford Escape XLT FWD 4 cyl with 25k miles in mint condition. Bought in the spot for 14k from a private party (Craigslist), added Ford bumper to bumper warranty 4 yr 36k miles additional for $2k.This is an impressive high quality vehicle with good technology, excellent power, 32 miles highway 26 city. Since we bought in the past 3 months have not a single problem. Just delights & surprises. Kudos to Ford Motor Company for building such an outstanding well designed right sized product. Too bad the 2013 and on design new look like most oriental mini SUVs. I highly recommend this product to all my friends and foes.

1.27.14 - My beloved 14 year old 2001 F-150 started on fire while it sitting at my work parking lot most all day, since 10:30 am. The fire started after 4:25 PM, was seen at 4:40 PM, fully engulfed so much that it was too hot and dangerous for us (non-professional firefighters) to take the risk of trying to put out this blue-hot fire. When the firefighters go there and put the fire out, they were surprised at how hot this fire burned, so hot that it melted the hood totally, burned the tires, melted the interior back to the seats. Of course it is a total loss. I have started a case with Ford, dont know where that will go. This was such a surprise, it could have been SO MUCH worse. Had either of our sons been driving it, had it been parked close to our home or garage, had it been closer to other cars..... the list goes on and on and on. .

My 2019 F150 4X4 Supercrew has 1200 miles on it and was purchased July 1, 2018. The drivers side door makes a loud cracking noise when opened or closed. It started out of nowhere approx 2 days ago. I’ve only driven it about 15 times. I took it to the dealer, Pompano Ford, and 2 service techs and a body shop tech looked at. The 2 service techs said it might need to be lubricated, but the body shop tech said the black hinge was faulty and needed to be replaced. It’s difficult to tell if the noise is coming from the part of the hinge that’s connected to the door, or the part that is connected to the body. He said the door has to be taken off to replace it. I asked him if the door would be put back on the way it was new, he stated he couldn’t guarantee it would be exact, but may be slightly off after the repair. They did not have the part, but would contact me when the part arrived.

I dont understand why they treated me so bad and that people get stuck with a bill that your vehicles do work right and the transmission on my vehicles and you just dont care and your product make me not believe in you and hurts that I have family that works for Ford Motor Company and my father retired from your company.I am very upset and dont understand why you just make a vehicle and stand by your vehicles and your not and only out for your self and not for myself and other customers that buy vehicles from you and your gonna hurt so many. And this is not a good thing for you and I am not threatening you I am just voicing point on my vehicles that I have bought from Ford Motor Company. I dont know why you do this to your customers and also myself and the review people use will get back to you and you see what going on and hopefully you will stand by your vehicle and understand why your vehicle are hurting other and take care of the problems with your transmission and other things that go wrong with your vehicles. And show what things that you do to have to take off work and miss a day a work and not get paid and struggles with your vehicle and my as too. I will keep up the reviews.

The sync has never worked in the Ford. The dealer seems to be no help. I also hit a bird and it caused $3000 in damage to the front. They said they fixed it. USAA would said there was $1k deductible because it was an animal. Other cars would not get totaled by a bird. Now, they say there is a coolant leak. Should have bought a car that was not built so cheap.

I have a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer (same as Ford Explorer and now serviced by Ford). Vehicle has always been well maintained, garaged, and has low mileage of 68,000, but unfortunately Ive been the victim of 3 (so far) well known design flaws that were not covered because I was out of warranty. Each of these has carried a substantial price tag to correct. The first was the fan motor under the dash for heat. It made a loud clanking noise and there was no heat. I was told this was a common problem and the dash had to be pulled and the fan and motor replaced. The next issued appeared shortly after. The back panel just under the back windshield developed a vertical crack - top to bottom close to the center. Dealer told me it was a design flaw and pushing the panel to close in a spot other than center causes this area to flex and crack. Again, well known problem but not covered. (I have since noticed at least 50% of Explorers & Mountaineers I see on the road with a crack that are of this era). Most recently, I have developed rust behind the rear passenger wheel well. I have consulted 2 body shops and they both told me common problem with these models - usually just on one side. Design problem. This is a very expensive problem to fix, especially for a 10 year old vehicle. If not for these apparent common problems, Ive been pretty pleased with my vehicle, but I am very frustrated with Ford that they wont stand behind and repair these things. At 68,000 miles, I would like to continue driving this SUV, but Im afraid what could be next. Ive always bought Ford products, but their unwillingness to stand behind their product concerns me.

I bought a used 2005 Ford Coachmen RV. All the seals leaks around the windows and around a vent which allows an outlet to get wet which causes a GFCI breaker to trip every time it rains. I also have a friend that has a 99 Expedition. His seal leaks around the front windshield causing the computer to short out. I have a friend with a 03 Ranger that leaks and causes the anti theft to engage. Theres several cases like this I know of and Ford hasnt recalled these vehicles.

My purchase was in April 2019, a used Ford Edge Ecoboost. 3 weeks after purchase I found myself stranded on my way home from work in rural Iowa. There were no prior warnings, notifications, etc; just a complete vehicle shutdown. Luckily I did not impact with anyone or vice versa. If I would have been on the highway only God knows what may have happened. Wound up having to have vehicle towed and engine replacement.... Bad start on a new to me purchase. Once again the vehicle is sitting dead in the water. This time came out of grocery store to a stalled vehicle. No indicators, it just wont start. The key fob is a possible cause, however over $300.00 for new key, it could be the battery, or the starter, or the alternator, or a fuse or 1 of the 10,000 electrical components under the hood....Hmmm I also find it ridiculous that Ford does not provide service repair manuals FREE to vehicle owners. Come on guys. With the amount of recalls on your branded vehicles its the least you could do. Anyhow Id like to know why there has not been a recall on the 2012 Edge 2.0 Ecoboost turbochargers; there are so many of the stall while driving complaints it should be mandatory and would be humane. Ford should fix these issues especially during this time of chaos, change and unexpected futures, the last thing I needed was to have a vehicle that is non functional during the winter in the middle of a PANDEMIC. Hats off to Ford manufacturers and prayers out to those who, like me, still own one of their vehicles.

I trying to find whom to contact it b/c Customer service number was of no help. The dealership told me this is a known issue. Then why is this not a recall? We love the car BUT this is almost enough for me to trade. The car was way too expensive for this to be a issue. Any suggestions will help.

On March 13th, 2012, I had an accident due to heavy fog that caused me to slam into a 3 and 1/2 foot ditch then into a field. The seat belt did not lock and the airbags did not deploy which slammed my chest into the steering wheel, bounced me in the air causing me to break my back and severely bruising my ribs. I am currently bed-ridden and very upset that my 2007 Ford Escape failed to protect me. My vehicle remains at the auto repair shop estimating damages. I am thankful no one else was in the vehicle.

Brought car to Elk Grove Ford (purchase dealer) for mileage issue. Dealer stated car obtains 37 mpg. Actual combination mileage 22 to 23. Advertised 22 city, 28 combination, 37 highway July 2014. October 2014 called for, obtained case # **. Deliver car Auburn Ford in California. Dealer stated car obtains 30 mpg. Actual combination mileage 23. After picking up the car, up to 25 combination has dropped to 20 mpg. Freeway best 27 mpg. This calculating actual from odometer and figuring mileage at the gas pump, not on board computer. Called back customer service. Told Ford does not resolve issues, the dealer does. Explained difficulty with local dealers (dealers stated no issues with car). Told that is my only option. Called back to Ford customer service. Operator forwarded to manager. I was told I would have to speak to a senior manager. There would be a call back within 48 hrs. Call back same day. I couldnt answer at that time. I called back right away. LVM. Received call back the next day. Senior manager stated FoMoCo does not provide estimated gas mileage, the EPA does. Ford just puts that information on the sales sticker. I attempted to explain I did not want to hear excuses. I need some assistance with the gas mileage issue. He stated I was not listening to him. I attempted numerous times to ask him what he wanted me to do. At this time, he stated I was not listening to him. I became angry and attempted to obtain his instructions. Requested a different dealer. He agreed but still stated I was not listening. I explained the cars mileage situation numerous times. Requested his assistance. He declined to provide any information to me. I attempted one last time. He stated he would not provide information, stating he would refer me to his manager within 48 hrs. The 48 hrs. have passed and no call back. During the conversation, I mentioned in my opinion the car is too heavy for the 1.6 Ecoboost engines torque rating. He agreed the engine is working too hard to be efficient in this size of car. He also agreed the on-board computer is not the most accurate. But dealers equipment is accurate. I explained I understood the mileage will be less than the rated in real life. The car has never reached even 30 mpg on the freeway, 9-hour drive travel. The rated city mileage is 22 mpg. The cars actual mileage is 20 mpg combination freeway and city. He only stated the estimated mpg is provided by the government, not by Ford.

Part unavailable for my 2015 F-350. I purchased this truck in April of this year. It is a King Ranch. Shortly after picking up the truck a couple of warning lights came on. Took it back to the dealership and was told it needs a RCM Harness which was currently unavailable. The truck was still in warranty so I left it with the dealership awaiting a part. That was April 19, 2019. The truck is still there and there is no ETA on this part. Ford customer service has sent me an email regularly saying there is no idea when this will be available. In the meantime I have a brand new camper (5th wheel) and no way to use it. I have been told this is not uncommon for this model and I wonder why it is taking so long for a part to be available. I feel Ford as well as the dealership should offer some serious compensation for this as the previous owner traded it due to this problem (he told me) and the dealership did not disclose it however Ford has not addressed the issue.

When I leased my 18 Escape I immediately noticed the variable transmission was shifting strangely. It is one of the new versions that pause when you are stopped at a light. However it was banging into gear at times. I brought it in, they did some work on it, and when I left the problem was still there. I went back to the dealership the next day, drove with the service advisor (very nice guy), and was told that is actually the way it should be working. At that point accepted my poor purchase and moved on. Fast forward 6 months later the car is now lurching forward as it shifts into gears at sporadic times. Totally unsafe, not sure what to do. Does anyone else have this issue?

I took back to the dealer Prestige in Mount Dora, FL where we bought the vehicle trusting that the Ford Service Staff could fix it. It took two weeks until the dealer called us up to say we could pick it up. We took back home and the next day the car was presenting the same problem. I am extremely disappointed with the quality, the service, the credibility of FORDs.The car has to go back to the shop this Monday and I have to time frame to get my vehicle up and running. I think Ford headquarters should step up, see what can be done about this extremely dissatisfied client. I bought a new vehicle because I didnt want to have car problems. A few years ago, I purchased a 2004 White Police Interceptor Crown Victoria. Shortly after the purchase, I noticed that the paint was peeling and blowing away with the wind. This was not my first experience with this condition, so I knew immediately what was wrong. Incompatibility between the paint and primer used at the factory. At the start of flaking, I scraped away the loose paint on the edges of the patch, primered it with a spray can hoping to seal the edges and not allow the wind to lift more of the paint. Then I repainted the spots with a spray can of white paint. Sorry to report that this patch only lasted a matter of weeks before the wind got under the original paint once again and flaking continued. I have a bunch of pictures showing this condition covering most of the roof and trunk lid as well spots on the rest of the car. I had thought of putting a sign on the car stating that this was an original Ford paint job that was flaking away, but I havent done that yet. I had to at least prime the roof spots because rust was starting to show. I called Ford service only to find out the people who answered were not Ford employees, but a company hired as gatekeepers to fend off pesky complaints that they probably dumped in the trash at the end of each shift. Apparently Ford is not interested in owning up to their mistake with the paint job as they have ignored my request for a fix. As I said above, this is not my first experience with this issue.I purchased a 1986 Ford F-150 that exhibited the exact same problem with the paint, and after much correspondence with Ford (at that time you could talk directly to a Ford rep.), they recalled the truck, stripped the paint completely and repainted the whole truck. I am very pleased with this car in every other way and would be forever grateful if someone out there could reach into Ford and bring this to their attention, and hopefully, a satisfactory resolution. Thanks.

I purchased a used 2015 Ford Fusion. I understand that there are a few things I would need/want to do with the car to use the features available. The car came with one key, which has been set to the ‘MyKey’ feature. I asked to have it reset at dealership as it is the only key and I am limited on what I can do - I am locked out of some radio channels and while I might be locked down to a ‘Max Speed’, I haven’t hit it yet. Their answer - The only way YOU can do that is to buy another key - $300. (Great customer service to make me work instead of offering alternate solutions to assist me). The car does not have the owners manual, therefore I don’t have the code for the keyless entry. Their answer - Sure, $60. Never mind, thanks for trying to make me give you more money to be able to get into the car you made. There are other things I would like to do with the car, but I stopped asking afraid it would just cost too much. Very disappointing.

Ford sold me new Ford Transit 2020 van and after only 6k miles and only few month of gentle use vans transmission broke. The van was making noise, no sensors went out so I kept driving and waiting for appointment to the shop for about 2 weeks. When at the shop I was told that all the fluid leaked out from transmission. I was driving this vehicle without transmission coolant for a period of few weeks so in my opinion the transmission is done and only a matter of time when it completely goes. People at the shop replaced the faulty part and send me on my way. When I called Ford customer care department to complain and ask to at least give me extended warranty so I feel more confident in the vehicle, and to know if transmission breaks again at least it would be covered under warranty. Ford customer care representative (Kaytlyn **) offered me a free oil change, can you believe this? A free oil change? Which made me even more upset about the whole situation and ford customer service.P.S They sold me a vehicle which was manufactured in January and I bought it in November, the van was passed from dealership to dealership with some miles on it until it found me and was sold to me as a new vehicle, salesperson failed to disclose this information until after the purchase. My advice is think twice before you buy a Ford product!

I purchased a 2012 Ford Certified Pre-Owned Focus in August of 2015. The car had just over 22,000 miles. It was in exceptionally good condition and appeared to be well cared for. I was very reluctant to buy a Ford product because I had a terrible experience with Ford 15+ years ago. I planned to purchase a Chevy Cruze when a friend told me to reconsider Ford and look at a Focus. I visited a Ford dealer and compared the Focus to the Cruze. They were pretty comparable across the board. My daughter pushed for the Focus. We drove a Focus and talked to a couple different dealers quite a bit. I remained skeptical. The dealer convinced us to buy a Certified Focus because it came with an extended the bumper to bumper warranty for 12 months/12,0000 miles and a powertrain warranty extension to 7 years/100,000 miles. The warranty convinced me to give Ford a second chance. My daughter really likes her car and has no real complaints so far.Last week, the car came due for the first oil change. I told her to take it to the Ford Dealer and also let them know that the transmission was not shifting correctly as well as the vents in the rear deck were disintegrating. If you touch them and they literally turn to dust. The dealer told her that the transmission was part of a recall and that she would need to make an appointment to have it reprogrammed. The rear deck was not covered under warranty. I called the dealer back and spoke to the service dept letting them know the car is Ford Certified and that it should be covered under the extended bumper to bumper coverage. The service writer told me that the 12 Month/12,000 mile warranty expires on 8/8/2016, however, Ford CPO is a limited warranty that covers selected parts. They also clarified that Ford CPO does NOT extend the bumper to bumper warranty. It is a limited warranty. There is a specific list of items that are covered. The Ford warranty also has a $100 deductible. That was news to me. I had purchased vehicles certified by other manufacturers and never had a deductible or been told that the bumper to bumper portion has a limited list of repairs. The Ford sales people made it sound the same as other CPO programs.I decided to call Ford Motor Company to verify what I was told. Prior to calling I did some research into the issues we reported with our Focus. Apparently both issues are known problems with Focus sedans. Ford issued a Technical Service Bulletin documenting the rear deck problem and provided instructions for dealers how to perform the repair. The transmission was recalled as we were told. Seems pretty straight forward so far.I called Ford and spoke to Amanda. I told her about the Ford Focus Owners website where there are many complaints about the rear deck dissolving into powder and provided the TSB number that documents the problem. Amanda kept informing me that she was not aware of the issue and kept trying to refer me back to the dealer. I went round and round with her. She seemed quick with the phrases: I am not aware of the issue, I do not have access to that information, I am not able to diagnose the problem over the phone. She was clearly trying to get me off the phone. I was not asking her for a diagnosis. I informed her that a Ford dealer already did the diagnosis. I told her I wanted to know if the warranty covers replacement of the failed parts. The car at this point had 28,000 miles and should not be dissolving into dust. She said that she had conflicting information about coverage. One document said the repair should be covered, the other said it was not. She said she would call me back after doing some research. I never received a callback.I waited a few days and contacted Ford Motor Company again. I spoke to Nick this time. Nick said that there was no record of my previous call. I was not surprised. I had to start over and tell him the whole story. I went round and round again. It was nearly a repeat conversation. Nick like Amanda insisted that he could not diagnose the car over the phone. I was starting to get angry because I clearly was NOT asking for a diagnosis. I asked again and again if the part identified in the TSB failed, does the Ford CPO warranty cover the repair? Seemed pretty clear to me, but he kept trying to make the issue about the diagnosis and again kept repeating that he could not diagnose the issue over the phone and that I needed to go to a Ford dealer. I bet he said I dont have access to that information or some variant of it at least 10+ times. We continued to go round and round. Finally I decided to go in a different direction and ask what parts of the rear deck are covered by Ford CPO. Progress at last. The answer was there are 2 part numbers. One was covered, one was not. The part that is known to fail, is documented as failing repeatedly by Ford, and has a Ford TSB issued for the repair IS NOT COVERED by warranty. The other part number that doesnt have any issues is covered by the warranty. If you are considering a Ford CPO used car, do your homework. Fords warranty is NOT like other CPO programs on the market. Ford limits what they cover and also requires you to pay a deductible. They do a good job with marketing to create the impression that their program is valuable. Dont be fooled! I should have verified Ford CPO against the GM CPO on the Chevy Cruise. It was my own fault for trusting them and not reading before we purchased the Focus. My 19 year old daughter now understands why I was so reluctant to buy Ford. The way Ford representatives handled my call both times was extremely frustrating. I will avoid the Ford CPO program in the future and suggest any reader do the same. We tried 3 times through the dealership and twice with Ford. We received the message and wanted to share it with people.

I purchased my 2012 Ford Fiesta in September of 2015. When I test drove it, it ran great and was excellent on gas. I needed something since I commute an hour each way for work. About a month after I purchased it, I began to have issues with the transmission. It would shutter and stall when shifting gears when taking off, or would seem like it was skipping a gear when taking off. I went into the Ford dealer in Santa Fe where I work and they basically said that is the way the transmission is designed and wouldnt even look at it. I proceeded to take it to a dealer in the town I lived in and they ended up replacing the clutch and reprogramming the TCM. This worked for a few months and now I have the same issue, on top of a engine light coming on and off, and a rattle when the car is turned off. Ive taken it back to the dealer to be told its not a transmission issue but engine codes and of course more money to be spent. Ive complained multiple times about these issues as Ive done research and see that this is an all too common issue. Now Im talking with a second customer service manager for Ford and hope to hear some good news about them either fixing the car or buying it back. Quite honestly the worst car and worst customer service experiences Ive had with any car Ive owned. I will never purchase a Ford again because of it.

I purchased a 2013 Ford Focus as a new vehicle eight years ago. I soon regretted the decision after discovering other Focus owners had significant transmission issues and that the transmission was designed so the fluid could never be changed which suggested planned obsolescence to me. The transmission often shifted strangely despite periodic computer adjustments and tended to ride somewhat roughly in slow city driving. While I had concerns about its useful lifespan, my Focus did a low average job of getting me from point A to point B until recently. As someone who believes in getting value from their purchases, I had hoped to drive the car for 10 to 15 years from the time of purchase. This should not be an unreasonable expectation for someone who makes certain that their cars have good maintenance and put only limited mileage on a vehicle as I no longer have a daily commute. In April of this year, the car developed an excessive shudder. The vehicle was in the shop for several days and the clutch had to be replaced. One week ago, the vehicle would not start and seemed to be just a bad battery but the diagnostics showed a transmission control module problem. The part is on back order so as a previous post suggests it could be in the shop indefinitely. The mileage is still in the low 60s and the vehicle has been well maintained. The problem is the lack of quality in a failed transmission system rendering a vehicle useless before even reaching the 10 year milestone. I most definitely will never purchase another Ford product again.

I went to the Ford Credit website on January 9th to make January payment due January 7. After making payment, I checked the box to extract payments automatically on the due date heretofore, thinking that this would start in February. Apparently by checking that box, my payment was not applied to January. There is no smart feature on that site that applies the funds to the last payment due and no payment was made until February 7, skipping January. I did not notice this and on March 2, I received a robo-call stating that my account was seriously delinquent and to call Ford Credit ASAP. This came as a total surprise to me.I spoke to a very helpful rep named Windy, who read the situation clearly, but also told me that my account was reported delinquent to the credit bureaus. She understood what happened and it was obvious that I didnt check in on January 9 for any reason other than to make payment. She referred it to a supervisor. Over the next week, I spoke to 3 more reps and 2 supervisors. They told me that I should give it 30 days. Today Im at 30 days and dealt with two people this morning who were completely unsympathetic to my issue and kept reading me the rules. My contention that the system should be programmed to apply payment to the last payment due was met with deaf ears and was told that even after submitting written complaints electronically, that they must be written in pen and ink to be considered for reversal.I have invested at least 8 hours with this company to resolve an issue that was triggered by software that is programmed by them. Hence an internal Ford issue. This can easily be resolved by a company that actually values its customers. I had a similar technical issue with BMW a few years back and it was resolved efficiently and with great courtesy. Within 3 days I received a letter of reversal from them and all three credit bureaus were notified. Ford apparently has a banking arm that is way behind virtually every other I have dealt with regard to treating its customers fairly. I will continue this pursuit to clear my credit. I will never buy another Ford product again.

2001 Sable rear spring broke in three and the front one has been broken and punctured the front tire covered under a recall. The ford told us that the rear ones were not. Also, I have a 2003 mountaineer; the rear spring broke but I was told that it was not a recall. I am not taking a chance and I am changing the fronts as soon as possible. No one was injured but my money. No more Fords for us. Theyll lose in the long run.

I’ve owned F150 trucks for the last 20 years. They are usually the leader in design of different component upgrades from year to year. But I’m disappointed in them letting GMC beat them to the tailgate design they have. That’s one thing that’s really helpful in getting up inside the bed, that would almost cause me to switch but not likely. Tighten up Ford.

I bought a 2016 Limited Ford Explorer in November 2016, I was actually spoiling myself with a vehicle that wasnt 5+ years old. When purchasing from the dealership I had nothing but problems with the driving, had to take back multiple times as the alignment was very off. Turns out I was being sold the vehicles with tires that wouldnt pass inspection. So I just decided never to go to or use that dealership again. Now fast forward not even 4 years later. I was driving down the highway when suddenly I lose all power steering. I managed to get my vehicle back to my local Ford Dealer. I now need the entire steering rack replaced. That costs $2100 plus tax. This is ridiculous for a vehicle that is less than 5 years old. Called customer service and they say they will mark it as a case but until they have many of the same complaints or problems and Ford releases a statement there is nothing they can do about it.I am just so appalled at lack of concern Ford has shown that this young vehicle has this serious of a problem. This is defective and should not be blowing like this. Weve always been a Chevy family & took a chance on this vehicle, what a wrong decision I have made. I have never had to drop that kind of money on any vehicle, I drove my Chevy Trailblazer well past 200,000 miles before I had anything more than your wear & tear issues.I remember over a course of a summer I had to drop about $3000 overall for those wear & tear issues. Now I have no vehicle of my own to drive until this is repaired and I have to wait a few days for parts to be shipped. So what am I driving while I wait for mine to be fixed? Well I am driving my Dads old pickup, a 2005 Chevy Silverado. I had loved this vehicle up until now, and I am going to now look at getting rid of it because what other major problem is going to happen next. Plus I was lucky this time that no one got hurt, that I didnt get into or cause an accident when I suddenly lost steering control on a highway of 65 mph.

As if this 2020 hasn’t been awful enough, Lincoln/Ford has now been doing their part to bury what little is left of the year. I’ve been trying for nearly 4 months to get into another Lincoln, which would be my 4th consecutive Lincoln/Ford, but I’ve had nothing nightmare-after-nightmare unfold. I’ve actively reached out to the dealer and the individual that I have purchased my current lease through and either haven’t gotten responses or have been getting sky-high pricing. I’ve reached out to at least 20 dealers across the states of NY/NJ/PA and I’ve been met with ridiculous/oppressive pricing and dealers not willing to even discuss pricing. I have the GM of Causeway Lincoln, Dave ** telling me he won’t even talk to me (and this is the first time I’ve reached out to them, so not like there is a bad history). Imagine this lunacy when trying to give people business? Now Lincoln is telling me that if I don’t get another vehicle, which I’ve been trying to do for months, that I will be penalized many hundreds of dollars. This is how they treat the loyalty that I’ve given, the money that I’ve spent, and the referrals that I’ve brought them. They’ve told me to buy more or get penalized. This has not only soured my time with the dealers, but with the brand as a whole. Clearly they have gone into the business of confiscation, not customer service.

I too had my front right coil spring failed on my 2002 Taurus. It punctured the tire at 55mph. I just had it looked at and would require a repair cost of $570. Looks like Im not the only one. Just remember this fellow owners, all manufacturers sell these cars, only the good ones stand behind their product. Simple, is Ford a good company or mediocre? Will you continue to support a company that does not stand behind its product? I will no longer support Ford until this issue is resolved. Sounds like a class action to me. Step up to the plate Ford or is the company simply mediocre? F.O.R.D. = Flat Or Road Deflating.

The 1977 Ford Maverick is not for everyone. As a daily driver, it takes a bite out of your wallet for gas money, but that more than pays for itself in the compliments you will receive while filling up at the pump. The bench front seats remove the barrier between you and your passengers and make you feel even closer, while the expansive windshield and minimalist doorframes make it feel like youre driving in a moving clear glass box. Wonkas great glass elevator is a good mental comparison. While the carburetor makes for an bit of a lag on the throttle, with a massive boat like this, youll want to slow down and let everyone get an eyeful anyway.

Every aspect of my 1st six months with Ford has been terrible.... The dealership was nothing but a typical bait and switch used car dealership even though I buy a new $54k truck.... I did all the negotiations via the phone only for the dealership (halfway through paper signing) state they quoted me the wrong truck. I could go on with another 1000 words. Lets move to Ford credit. 4 phone calls to set up auto pay and to find out that you can not AUTOMATICALLY pay each month over the monthly amount. You can manually make additional payments but can’t be set up automatically.Lets chat about service: My Touch went out in less than 4 months.... brought it in... Service says needs to order parts. 3 weeks later no follow-up except the email from the service department ask about the lengthy list of service they performed. Guess what? They didn’t do any of these services. And never followed up on the 1 thing I did ask them to do. I wonder if they billed Ford Motor Company for these bogus services. UGH come on Ford. Its 2019. Get rid of the bs sales tactics, update your finance software, and get a real service dept.

I just bought a 2016 Ford FX4 crew cab truck. I have been driving Ford vehicles all my life and thought I would never even consider another make. Well, that may change. This truck has been a big disappointment from day one. Following is my review... I switched from a 3.5 EcoBoost to a 2.7 EcoBoost in hopes that I would get better mileage. Not only is it worse than the 3.5, the economy readout on the dash is consistently 2.5-3.5 mpg less than the actual mileage. I have Checked every tank since I bought it. The Ford SYNC is a joke. The most user unfriendly system I have encountered. And I leave my iPod connected all the time and never touch it. The radio recognizes it about 50% of the time. I have changed power cords twice thinking there may be a short. But no change. If it was a short it would also affect it while playing. But when it plays it works perfectly. The driver side window does what it wants to sometimes. It may go down when you want it up. Or vice versa. The structural rigidity of this truck is nothing like my 2014. It jiggles and shakes like a 1981 Pontiac when on uneven pavement. The worst gas filler ever! Every time I lock the fuel nozzle on and wait for it to fill up, it clicks off the nozzle like its supposed to, but you better not be standing behind it! Almost every fill up dumps a quart of gas all over the ground. The driver door speaker is already buzzing and vibrating. The coating in the bed is useless. Its like a sheet of greasy ice. Everything slides all over the bed, so I have to lock it down. I have yet to figure out how the trailer back up assist works. For the amount of money this truck costs, Ford really screwed up on this one. I will be looking elsewhere soon. Id like to have my 2014 back.

In 2014 December I bought two brand new Ford transit connects with bumper to bumper 3 year 36000 mile warranty on both vehicles. Both vehicles encountered heater vibration problems and electrical problems with the lights. Took both vehicles to Ford and they worked on the first one by removing the center console to see what the problem was and they found a rodents nest and body parts which they clean up and removed, but it was not covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. It cost me out of pocket over 400.00 dollars. The lights they said that it wasnt the bulb but rodents also had eaten the wires which again it not cover either under the bumper to bumper warranty so I could not see paying any more but that cost me 90.00 more dollars. So I was not willing to pay to have the second transit looked at.My wife and I both had no luck with Fords main office service because they said it wasnt their fault that rodents are eating the wiring and nesting in the heater unit. Disgusted with their answer I asked why are they using soy oil in their wiring insulation, seat foam plus the numerous pounds of recycled plastics and gasket materials. Its like a buffet for the rodents, they told theyre being green! When I wrote the checks for both these vehicles at Ford I did not see anything about them using recycled crap in these brand new vehicles, if I did I would not have bought them. I told the person that contacted us Why dont you smear steak sauce all over the car. But by using soy oil in the manufacturing its the same results with the rodent problem. While we were at Ford they laughed and said we were lucky they had a new car in the shop last week that was towed in because rodents had enjoyed eating most of the wiring but they said their insurance company paid thousands of dollars to repair it, why is it the insurance companys problem when Ford is inviting disaster by using soy oil in the manufacturing process so they can say theyre green. But the consumers are not aware of this. My grandfather worked and retired from Ford motor company, hes rolling over in his grave now.I have always bought Fords since I have been driving. Never have I had issues like this before, their smug attitudes that its not their fault rodents are the problem, I say it is their fault for using soy oil and recycled crap for gaskets wiring insulation seat foam and trim products. There should be a class action law suit against them for the repairs. But theyre not the only ones doing it. Something needs to be done, Maybe the United States steel workers union needs to put up pick lines on all the dealerships to let people know theyre going to left in the cold.

Truck burnt up by DEFECT. My 2002 FORD 350 exploded at 2 A.M. while not being used for over two days! I then got stonewalled and laughed at by the rude people of this garbage company. I also started getting recalls for the exact reason my Ford lit up. A wire heated that was hooked up to the brake master cylinder. This happened years ago and I was just sent a message that I have had over 60,000 hits with people experiencing the same problem. NEVER BUY FORD!!! I have pictures. Shame on that company for crapping on the small men of America…the working man!!! Please boycott that no good company. Buy G.M. I had 4 Chevy trucks and all lasted a few hundred thousand miles each.

This is a simple and clear issue. April 14, 2020 went to Big Valley Ford in Stockton California, located in the Stockton Auto Mall. My need from Big Valley Ford was a set of 4 new tires and a wheel alignment. Was told it would take 2 hours for the what I needed done. 1) I waited on-site at Big Valley Ford while the service was being completed, service personnel knew we were on-site. We were notified in-person by the Advisor our truck was done, within the 2 hour time frame. I was happy.2) The Big Valley Ford Advisor had us pay our invoice prior to us taking our truck, the truck was slightly out of view so I could see while paying. After the payment we walked out to the truck and noticed the tires were installed incorrectly. The Advisor agreed the Tech installed the tires incorrectly, Advisor stated, We will fix it. I was thinking okay 30mins is reasonable and asked how long, the Advisor stated it would be additional 2 hours for them to correct their mistake. The Advisor stated a new invoice would have to be created and my truck would be taken in the order of the invoice (My vehicle was at the back of the line again).I was upset and the Advisor said they would check with management to see about a free oil change in the future. I said I didnt care about free stuff just get my truck in now and fix Big Valley Fords mistake, the Advisor stated they could do that. So of-course I had no choice, I was upset and told the Advisor we were going to walk home. The Advisor said, I could try to get you a shuttle ride home, I wasnt having the TRY moment again and walked home.3) Big Valley Fords Advisor called my home to let us know the tire were done correctly and the truck was ready for pick-up. I drove my wife to Big Valley Ford to pick up the truck, saw the tire were correctly mounted. Checked the tire pressure, the tire pressure was incorrect from what was placed on the invoice. I told the Advisor and asked how long would it take to get the tire inflated correctly, the Advisor stated it will be awhile. At this point my blood was boiling but kept my cool, I said never mind. Ill use my small electric air pump at home.4) Drove the truck home from Big Valley Ford, we live about a mile from this dealership and parked it so I could get to it in the morning. I was hurting bad by this time (physically) from walking home. April 15, 2020 woke-up and went outside to air up the truck tires. I noticed one of the lug-nuts was wrong. I understand the newer vehicles have decorative caps over the lugs, checked the rest of the lugs and they had no play in the caps at all. This truck had 24 lug-nuts with no issues when I took the truck to Big Valley Ford the day prior, now I had 23 and one odd looking one.5) Drove the truck back to Big Valley Ford and showed them, they promptly replaced the incorrect lug-nut. The mileage difference from the final invoice was around 2 miles, drove it straight home and straight back to Big Valley Ford. Spoke with the service manager at this time and all he would do is make excuses and downplay the problems I had, he said the lug-nut cap probably flew off when I drove home. I had him test all the others and they were solid, his tone changed a little however the manager just downplayed the series of mistakes as not being a big deal.6) My background with Big Valley Ford, from 2003 to 2015 I have purchased 9 new vehicles for more than $300, 000.00 not including services. The last two NEW vehicles I purchased 2015 Ford Lariat Ecoboost 3.5L F150 FX4 ($60K) and 2015 Ford Fusion Ecoboost ($30K), I purchased the best warranty from Ford for both for over $5,000.00. The warranties expire in 2021.7) I have handicap plates on my truck because Im 100% disabled, this is why I hurt so much from walking home. Big Valley Ford Advisor knew this as I have had prior conversations about my military service and how I became disabled. 8) Big Valley Ford sent a free oil change coupon to my house and gave my wife 5 car-washes, again Big Valley Ford thinks giving free services makes things right. I told Big Valley Ford they had plenty of opportunities to make this right when it was happening. Customers deserve as a basic their vehicle returned in the same or better condition, all this mean is my truck should have been in better condition when I picked it up, New Tires. How many customers who didnt know Big Valley Ford made mistakes drove off, how many of these ended in accidents and people hurt or killed. 9) Ford Motor Company needs to get a head of this and do something to protect the Ford name and reputation.Updated by ** · Apr 19, 2020. I forgot to mention I took the 5 free war-wash & Free oil change coupons back and gave them to the Advisor. Talked with the main manager and he treated my issue like I was a second rate customer and he also downplayed the issues with a lack of concern. I also paid cash for both vehicles (2015s).
