I removed the battery purposely and placed it the fob on the start button and it stopped the alarms on the truck and gave a run light. Foot on brake and pushed start. Truck roared to life. I have to retake original complaint and chalk my experience up to ignorance of technology. Still believe this should get explained to consumers. Thank You.

Its been to the dealership 4 times to have the pull corrected in the front end. Pulls to the right. Just recently had the uconnect display a message about service phone or something like that. Also just had my climate control stop working. Took it to the dealership and had them look at it. No codes came up. They said my aftermarket subwoofer would have to be removed to work on the climate control. Told them I wouldnt remove it because it has nothing to do with the climate control.The dealership then told me they would not work on my truck until everything aftermarket was removed at a cost of 500 dollars. I am friends with the owners of the local dealership and have set an appointment with them to address the issues Im having with my truck and their ** service department. Very unimpressed with the local service advisers and what they have done to fix my truck.

The total was almost $2,400. The representative calls me and tells me they are not going to pay the claim since the credit card used was not the name of the vehicle owner. It was my father-in-laws card since I did not have the money at the time to pay for the repair. So Dodge agreed it was defective but uses some lame loophole that since it wasnt on MY credit card, they would not pay. I suggested they just pay the cardholder then. Of course they denied that as well. So basically they admit they were liable for the repair but found a way out of paying for it.

Leaving us and our 2 children stranded on the side of 95. Chrysler warranty only covers towing to closest Dodge dealership. This is how we ended up with our vehicle at Plaza Dodge dealership. We are getting the runaround from the service Dept (Jon) & warranty guy handling our case (Tim). They have had our vehicle for 3 weeks with no end in sight. Last week we were lied to by both Jon & Tim about what was wrong with it (saying it was the rear overrunning gear) and that parts had been ordered. On Monday this week Jon called and said that no parts have been ordered, in fact our transmission had not been taken apart or touched all last week. On Tuesday this week Jon called my husband and said now they believe it to be a seal in the transmission and have ordered parts but it will now be next week for them to come in. He then turned around and called me and said some parts had been ordered but some were on back order and he did not know when they would come in. This truck is not only our personal truck (we tow our camper with this for our son’s travel ball tournaments) but it is also my husbands company truck (we own Marsh Lawn Care). We need it back or answers. We only have had it since April 27. We bought it brand new from Cary Auto Mall. We called them on June 14 to see if they could help us since we had just bought it and were told “why would we help you, we are not reaping the benefits of the warranty work”. I think all Dodge Ram consumers should know how poorly the new trucks are built & how little help warranty company is in getting them back to you in a reasonable timeframe.

Now I was told that the head is on back order and it my take another 3-4 days before I get my truck back. I ask for a loaner truck so I could pull my boat and they said they could not help me. This would have been a real problem if I was out of town and could not have been able to pull my boat home. I think I will be trading this truck off as soon as I get it back. Poor service at the dealer in the way they handle this problem. I feel they could have put a new motor in my truck by now and here is set without a truck. No more Chrysler products for me.

I am very impressed with the quality and the capabilities of this truck, I have had two issues with the truck thus far, a def injection/DPF exhaust part failure, and, a seized water pump. Both times the dealer service was quite good. I would buy another one. I just sold my 2001 Ram Cummins 2500 with 307,000 miles. It was an excellent truck. I replaced it with a 2017 Ram 1500 Longhorn. I hope it does as well. So far so good, I love the Ram boxes and the cargo management system.

It was over 100k miles but had only one owner who had all the maintenance completed at the dealership. It appeared to be a super clean truck. Within the first 6 months the solenoid went bad in the transmission. $500. Now I am facing a bad camshaft and poor lifters. $3500. I have had the truck less than 18 months and am dumping over $4,000 into this truck and that is just to get it back to normal. Ram of course only has the same junk camshaft and lifters to put back into the truck. They have not improved it or do not have any aftermarket parts to fix their poor design. Not to mention it took 3 weeks to get in because this part remains on back order. I had loved my other Ram trucks and was happy with this one before this problem occurred but I will never own another one and like I said I am only 32. I would urge anyone looking for a truck to choose another brand. I cringe when I see them saying longest lasting trucks on the road. Good luck and dont buy a junk Hemi. It is only as good as its parts.

They put me off 5 different dates over a 3 week period to end up telling me they couldnt even get them (cost figured in price of truck). I ending up telling them to get them from OReillys auto parts or either Pep Boys and I gave them the part number to both, only to find out later that Mopar does carry the black wheel to wheel Mega Cab side steps. Now after owning it for six weeks my tire pressure sensors have gone out. It is now been the shop four times for a total of over 10 days and has yet to be repaired. The last time Carl Gregory had my truck, they had it for 6 days and did not do anything. They had told me it needed a module but after 6 days still do not have it put in. Now I have taken it to a new dealer to see if they can fix it. It has been there one day and they have ordered a sensor to see if they can fix it when there are 4 sensors that are not working. This is my first Dodge and probably my last. I have filed a complaint with Chrysler Corporation customer service....and my back Friday.

I received a call from Sabrina; she said that my truck was still under warranty, and she would investigate.Chrysler will not pay for my transmission since I did not go to an authorized Chrysler service center, and they did not do the work. I explained that the transmission alone is under warranty, and it is a Mopar part. The service center I took it to is an authorized factory warranty service center for Mopar. Sabrina said that since Chryler did not do the diagnostic or service on it, they cant reimburse me. I have explained that I am asking for a reimbursement for the transmission and not for the labor, installation or diagnostic.

Bought an 05 Ram 1500 Daytona new in 05. Spent months in shop trying to fix pulling issues and loud pop in front suspension after being just weeks old. Final fixed. Now in 2015 I have had 4 sets of sway bar end links installed, new ball joints, control arm parts, tie rod ends, etc. THE TRUCK HAS ONLY 47,000 miles, the entire front suspension was shot at 38,000 miles. This is a 2-wheel drive, never wrecked, well-cared for California truck. Dodge claims no recalls of problem on this model or year. Dodge seems to play dumb on issues that have been present since purchase. Now for the 2015 (wife insisted on another Dodge) this is a very expensive fully loaded 4x4. All the bells and whistles (her truck) bought on a Friday. On Sunday noticed a 3x1 section of paint on door edge peeling. Returned to dealer and was told I had damaged the paint. Spent months working with Dodge corp. trying to get fixed. Finally after being told they would not fix because they deemed it damage not defect I ended up paying $1,100 to have repaired at an auto body shop who took pics, wrote statement that its a defect, sent all to Dodge and was denied again. DODGE WARRANTY IS A JOKE. We will never buy a Chrysler product again.

There was a sudden loss in power and a sudden drop in fuel mileage. The tires are cupping, the door seals are leaking, and I have added over 3 gallons of antifreeze. After having it in the shop many times, they still cannot find the vibration issue. They do all the recording, because I guess Dodge thinks that the computer vibration analyzer will pick up everything. After being without my truck for 3 weeks, Dodge told my dealer to return the truck to me and that everything was going to be fine - after they didnt have the dealer check for why the antifreeze was running low and why the oil was mysteriously overfull. They then proceeded to tell me that the transfer case seeping oil out was an acceptable oil leak. Are you kidding me? This is a 2010 leftover, newly bought in May 2012 with 7500 miles on it, and they say an oil leak is acceptable? Dodge will not stand behind their products and its an act of God to get stuff warranty! I am very disappointed. Also, the fact is its still in vibration and now seems worse than when I dropped it off!

At 3000 miles the steering tie rod locking nuts and main nut backed off and caused the steering wheel to turn 180 degrees and almost came off which would have resulted in no steering. Took to the dealer there were no parts. They were backordered, dealer offered to retighten the existing nuts. I told them I wanted both tie rods and all the nuts replaced because they had pulled threads. I crawled under the truck and marked all the parts with a magic marker.After three weeks part of the parts came in. They replaced them but did not replace the ones I marked. They told me it was ready. I showed them the magic marks on the parts they did not replace and I told them to reorder all the parts again because they screwed the new nuts on the pulled threads. Two more weeks and got all the parts put on. They realigned the wheels. At 4000 miles it happened again. We went through the whole process again. Another two weeks. Knock on wood they got it right this time.Now I have 49000 miles and did not buy the extended warranty ($3800). I was pulling my RV trailer down a long hill and started hearing a whine pulled over and determined it must be the fan blade. Drove it whining to a RV park and dropped my trailer. The whining would increase when the engine was revved. I sounded like the power steering whine. It was full of power steering fluid and no leaks. The next morning I started the vehicle and was warming it up. After ten minutes I went outside and the vehicle was smoking and had dumped all the power steering fluid on the pavement. The pump pressured up and blown the hoses in three pieces.I called the mechanic at the place I work, who has a fleet of 200 dodge rams. He told me this was a known issue with Dodge. The hoses have a plastic liner in the ends that rupture and ball up in the hoses and restrict the flow of fluid causing the whining sound. When you shut off the engine overnight the plastic cools and hardens plugging of the hose. When you restart the plastic stops the flow of fluid and the pump pressures up and blows the hoses in two. I you were driving and this happens you lose power steering and power brakes creating a potential hazardous situation. It is extremely difficult to steer and practically no brakes. If you hear this whining sound shut it down immediately and dont drive.I had my truck towed to a dealership about 10 miles under the 100,000 mile Chrysler warranty but would have had to pay the difference of anything over 10 miles (read the fine print). Ordered the parts. They were on backorder. I was told it would be approx. 3 days getting the parts. The dealership does not have loaner vehicles or rental cars. My RV was racking up $42.00 a day waiting on parts. I rented a car for $23.00 a day. Nearly $75.00 a day waiting on parts. The dealership would tell me every two days the parts would be there anytime. After 11 days I took my family home in the rental car and release it. I got a fellow RVer to tow my trailer to storage. I was given the price of parts and labor to fix the truck was $339.00.I called Chrysler Customer Care and talked to a agent named Patrick. He called the dealership and verified my information and said Chrysler would definitely take care of the cost of fixing the truck even though it was out of warranty. He said for me to pay the bill and gave me a link to upload the receipt and they would reimburse me. He also said when I finished with the rental car they would send me another upload link and they would review whether they would reimburse or not. (All sounds great huh? NOT.) I finished with the rental car and uploaded the receipts to Chrysler. The link could be used only one time.I called to get another link so I could upload the receipt for the repairs. I got an agent named Debbie. She said Chrysler would not take care of any of it and told me Patrick had misinformed me and wanted to know if I wanted to buy a service contract. She was a lawyer wannabe and would not move. Chrysler Customer Care needs to change their name to Chrysler WE dont CARE about our Customers Just give us more MONEY. As of this writing it has been 17 days with no parts in sight. Looks like I may have to go get my truck and tow it home and put third party parts to get it running again. If you are considering buying a Ram Truck read every one of the reviews above and prepare yourself to deal with all or most of the issues described. Remember!!! Chrysler doesnt care about its customers. Only getting your money!

They stated that this is something that is showing up on some Dodge pickups. This is a huge safety concern that we feel needs to be addressed by Dodge.

This is the 2nd time in 40,000 miles we have had this happen. We are a snow plowing company,195 miles during a snow storm does not give us a lot of time. We brought the truck into Ross Dodge (Boone, NC) and we were told there was no one to help in service, we took it back the next day and the service people told us they would not look at the truck until the ice and salt had been removed from the bottom of the truck. They did offer to keep it in their bay overnight to melt the debris away. Crazy thing is the truck was needed to (lets all say it together) plow snow. Why couldnt they take it over to their handy car wash and wash it off, or put on their big boy underpants and deal with the dirt? They do not keep the DEF part in stock. So now back to the dealership for a 3rd, or maybe its the 4th, time to replace a part that we have no control over. Why is this part not stocked? It is used on so many Dodge Diesels both commercial and individual. Shame on Dodge for letting one state control their multibillion dollar company. Grow a set and stand up to California!

Its covered in ice after parking it overnight in winter and they refuse to repair my defective truck or give me a new one. I have never had this problem with any other new vehicle and am being stuck with a defective non-properly sealed truck that I bought new and paid cash for.

The service department said it all like that. But that no correct by knowing now. Then when I got my 1st service and asked about and said they can tight up better than that at Autonation at Victory drive Columbus. Again the technician did do better and the glue was left all over my vehicle. Also the service department had to drain my truck because it put in the wrong oil. To bring you up to date now it is 9 Nov. 2016, had to tow to Autonation Chrysler.The next day Autonation informed the engine failed and broke it down to take pics to send Chrysler. To get it a action to okay to order was 5 days and no rental was assigned to me. Autonation here on Lake parkway was not any help. Fast forward to Wednesday 16 Nov. the Customer service has given me a runaround. I have been asking for a rental pickup for my 60000 weight paper and I have no seen a solution. With number of problem I will be continue calling and get to someone in the corporate to listen and compensate for the damages. I would like to replace the vehicle that is not even a year old 17500 on it. Ram/Chrysler has lost all faith of Company.

Two months after having the vehicle, I began to have electrical problems where the left turn signal would not work. I took it to the dealership three times and they could not get it to work so I was offered to purchase a new Dodge Dart in May of 2013, and the Dodge dealership paid off the first vehicle. Well, it has been a little over a year and I have begun to have problems and I am afraid to even drive the vehicle now for safety reasons. In June of 2014, my vehicle would not start. I had to get a jump and from that time, I needed a jump every time I started the vehicle. I took it to the dealership and they worked on the vehicle for about a week. In mid-July of 2014, I took my car on a road trip and while out of state, my car would not start again and this is after I was told I received a brand new battery. I was afraid that I would not make it home and had to get a jump from a stranger while out of town just to make it home. Now, every time I want to head out, I am afraid that my car will not start and I just dont feel safe. I can be out in the evening and not be able to make it home; I should not feel this way having a one-year old vehicle. A few days later, the entire car reset on its own as well, all the radio stations that were pre-set were set back to factory as well as the clock; I am sure this is not normal. I took the vehicle to the dealership and they worked on it for four days and said they could not find anything wrong with my vehicle and sent me home with another problem: a damaged vehicle frame, bent rocker panel and the paint is now chipping. I have spoken with the customer service multiple times about many of these issues and I dont think they are listening. I work full-time so I cannot drive back and forth to the dealership; I cannot afford to continue to take off or be tardy for work. Today, August 4, 2014, I took the vehicle into the service center at the dealership because I have the day off. They refused to work on my vehicle without charging me stating that I could have ran over a pot-hole, I explained theres no pot-hole that I know of that I could have run over that will cause the frame of my car to point outwards.Overall, I am now stuck with a vehicle that I do not feel safe driving because I never know if it will start or when the next problem when arise and as a customer of Dodge, I do not feel respected as they damaged my vehicle and have not offered to even fix it even though they damaged it. I do not want another Dodge Dart as I feel unsafe and it should be re-called.

The other issue was, I am assuming the same as most other people that owned that year with the Dashboards that fell apart.I currently own a 2011 Cummins Turbo Diesel, that had the left tie rod recall, took the truck into my local dealership, oh and I bought from a privately owned dealership about 200 miles from where I live. The dealership I took it to for the recall didnt ask any questions or anything about doing the work. I bought this truck in July of this year and have already put over 5K miles on it and shes running like a dream.In my opinion, if you bought your truck for something other than work, then you bought the wrong thing. These are work trucks, built to be USED!!!! If you bought it for the NAV or the Phone or fancy Radio, then maybe you should have looked into buying something else for that price, like a Benz, BMW, Audi or Volvo. Just my opinion. Oh the 98, when I gave it to my son 9 months ago, had over 120K miles on it. The Cummins I traded my Challenger for and only paid 23K for it. Just because these vehicles have all that fancy stuff on them doesnt make them not be a Truck!

I rebuilt the transmission at 328,000 miles and the truck now has 356,000 miles with the original motor and running gear. I change my fluids often and have no issues whatsoever. Every option from the cold AC and cruise control to the rear view camera that I added work perfectly. This truck consistently gets 18mpg which is better than most 3/4 ton 4x4 pickups on the road. I get compliments everywhere I go from people driving newer vehicles, many of them making payments while theyre constantly taking it to the dealer for repairs. I would not hesitate to drive my truck anywhere, anytime.If you are tired of paying $40k, $50k or $60k for a new truck that just creates headaches, consider getting a real truck from the 1990s when the big 3 were in competition with each other as to who could build the best truck on the road. Unfortunately today they are only competing for profit at the expense of making cheaply built vehicles carrying over inflated price tags.

The handling of the Ram is a bit tough because of the rear of the truck being so light but Ive added weight by placing blocks in the bed and covering them easily as not to be seen. The price of the truck is a bit costly. With gas prices rising they should bring the price down. Otherwise the performance and durability are worth the money. I would recommend this truck to all. Go and check it out. You will not be disappointed.

I took the truck back to ODaniels 3 times before they found a bad tire, and it still doesnt drive like other ones I have driven. The tranny jerks when it shifts, sometimes it clunks in really bad. ODaniels said they could not find anything wrong. After taking the truck back several times, ODaniels informed me that Chrysler told them it is normal for the Dodge 2500 to jerk & clunk into gear, so theres nothing they can do. In the meantime my wife & I are smelling fumes, we blamed it on semis & other vehicles. Then we noticed fumes when there was nothing else around. The fumes got worse & they happen every 400 to 600 miles, I took truck back to ODaniels. They kept the truck for 2 weeks & drove it 100 miles. They said they could not reproduce the problem, therefore there is not anything wrong. We picked the truck up from ODaniels. Within 500 miles the truck put fumes in the cab, this time we had to stop and get out of the truck. I called ODaniels and they said it did not show up on the computer so they couldnt do anything. ODaniels said they would trade us our truck for a 2014 truck, if I would pay an additional 18,000 dollars. The consequence of that is that I am still driving a Dodge Ram with a jerky, clunking transmission and with fumes in the cab. I find it shameful that Chrysler does not care anymore than this about the consumers safety & health. There is a lot more to be said, but this is about as mild as I can make it.

The speed of the truck was just over 50mph when it began to flip. At the end, the truck was sitting in the middle of the road on its roof, without a single airbag deployment. Regardless of FCAs comments, I think being the driver, I was in a much better position to dispute the seatbelt slack or tensioner. I wasnt driving leaning over the steering wheel, but somehow, with the seatbelt on, my chest slammed into it. If it did lock at any point, it was well after the point it should have. At the end, I was fully turned sideways in the seat, upside down, with over a foot between myself and the seat. Locking after the slack comes out doesnt constitute it working to me.Public - be aware - FCA has claimed that the vehicle decides when to deploy airbags in a rollover event. (Note: - in their response, they do not specify these tolerance levels of course). Ill attach pictures showing the damage to the outside of the truck, along with the inside showing no airbag deployment. I will also paste FCAs direct comments. Look at the pictures. Imagine yourself or your loved ones in that vehicle. Then read the FCA comments. If after all that, you feel that there still is no need for airbag deployment, then go ahead and buy one. For those that believe they should have deployed - please get the word out.For full disclosure - I did buy another 2500 myself. I was, until I received the FCA email an hour ago, a loyal RAM buyer. I bought the new truck 2 weeks ago with the hopes that FCA would have told me a sensor was bad, wire disconnected, or something that pointed to a failure. I never, in my wildest dreams, would have thought that something as violent as I went thru, did not warrant airbag deployment. (Also, it took about a month before they could get the vehicle inspected and respond back. Every call to them was a standard response - you will hear back from someone in 1-2 business days.) I will be pleading with the dealer to take the truck back. Personally, I could not in good conscience put another person in that vehicle, fully knowing that in the same situation the air bags would not deploy.FCA comments: We have had the opportunity to review the results of our inspection, and must advise you we believe the air bag system operated properly, and as designed in this incident. Your Ram is equipped with a passive safety restraint system that consists of Seat Belt Tensioners (SBT), Side Curtain Air Bags, Side Seat Airbags, and driver and passenger Front Air Bags. The SBTs actuate to remove slack in the seat belts to snug the occupant into the seat at the onset of an accident. The Air Bag Control Module uses a roll rate sensor to determine the severity of a rollover event, and the appropriate response, activate the SBTs alone, or activate the SBTs in conjunction with the appropriate Air Bags. If the SBTs are sufficient to provide protection, then the air bag deployment is not merited. In your accident it was determined that only the seat belt tensioner deployment was necessary.

The lift kits are popular for blowing out u-joints, not my Dodge. Everyone you know in the last 10 years that I owned my Dodge that owned a Ford or Chevy, has purchased 2 or 3 new trucks since, but me I still have Ram tough, with 170,000 miles on it. I guarantee I never had it leave me stranded, no issues other my wear and tear. Its normal for things to need replacing. I maintain my gem by replacing tires, air filter, changing fluids on time, repairing rust, cleaning injectors etc. If you neglect your responsibility and something fails it isnt Dodges fault. You bought a Dodge for a reason. A Dodge is the only truck I will trust. Its nice to watch Ford owners complain that the tranny failed under 20,000 miles in a new truck as I sit back happy I have a Dodge.If the company is at fault, they tell you, Thats we have such a thing called recalls! I have a marketing degree, and I will use my skills to promote Dodge! Oh have I forgot to mention my Dodge was previously used in the mountains of Utah, and the previous owner rolled it, and amazingly after the roll the truck landed on all 4 wheels and it still drove off the mountain, thats when it was rebuilt and customized and I purchased it when it was 3 yrs old. I brought it to my local Dodge dealer to get it looked at. Turns out its the rear end pinion bearing that went bad. The mechanic told me that I might be in luck and that there might be a recall on this rear end. He did some research and found out my VIN number did not match the recall. The repair that the recall calls for is the same repair they did on my truck. The pinion bearing they took out of the truck was trashed due to lack of proper lubrication, the reason for the recall. I called the RAM customer assistance office and received no assistance with this repair.This lack of lubrication condition could cause the pinion bearing to seize and cause a loss of vehicle control and or cause a crash without warning. The last sentence was pulled directly from the recall advisory that for some reason does not include my truck yet the problem I had is just like the recall. RAM really needs to get this checked out before someone is injured. If you own a 2012 Ram 1500 get it checked out. Safety Recall K36.

I guess they wont because they would be recalling everyone still operable which would be extremely costly. The dash on the totalled one was completely caved in when I purchased it in 2006. I had to buy a dash mat. The 3rd truck which I still own was just starting to crack in 2010 at the time of purchase. I believe the mat has helped it last longer. It continues to crack.I think they could offer owners a monetary settlement which might satisfy their gross manufacturing negligence and the owners having to deal with it on a daily basis. I have other issues with my current truck but believe they are from normal use and factors not necessarily related to Dodges negligence. Overall it is a well built safe vehicle.

First, the alignment was bad from the day I drove it off the lot. Seemed fine but the front tires were bald, thread showing, by 35K. Replaced 2 front tires and Hogan Tire shop in Purcellville, VA told me they couldnt align the truck because a ball joint was bad. Furious, I took it to the Dodge dealer and they told me joints were all fine and measuring basically new. Oh, BTW, chose your dealer carefully. The dealer in NOVA cant align a big truck like this because his rack is too small, I was still within warranty for this. 10 hours+, not an exaggeration, of my time to determine the truck was fine and still needed an alignment. I use this heavy duty truck everyday and tow more than three times a week. 10 hours of down time kills me. I never aligned it, totally my fault. Truck was pulling like mad to the right. I have a seriously strong left arm from it. I have new tires and feel like I can ignore, 14K only a couple months in busy truck time, I realize the front right is really wearing badly. WTF, truck less than 50K and serious pull to the right and worn tires on the front, rear are still good. Take to local mech and he aligns, tightens it all.Less than a week later I notice the steering wheel is out of alignment. Each day I drive it is a little more out. I am hauling round bales and finally lose my ** with the steering, over 90 out. I take back to my alignment dudes and they say the lock nuts have backed off. Its a lock nut? What? Well Dodge has 2 nuts that are tightened against each other, not a lock nut, and one backed off. They small shop fixed and I trust the fix since we are over 2 weeks and steering has been rockstar since.Other things, I have had a check engine light since the mid 30K range. No ** the manual says the light will probably resolve itself in a few runs and should do that. Sure as ** that was the case. What they didnt say was that the problems were compounding. Truck was great except there were times we backed into the driveway and the exhaust was terrible, in town we had the same thing since we drive windows down a lot. Absolutely intolerable exhaust smell. We are coming from a 2005 Diesel that was pimped and the smell was appropriate.51K, and now I have a DEF malfunction. I drive this truck everyday. Put only the DEF in it from the store and the pretty plastic containers. I only have 125 miles to drive before it ** down? I have done everything right and this is what my over 50k in American dollars gets me? Oh, and the exhaust warranty is very specific. Dont think you get 8/80K, there are terms.

The problem was reported to the dealership at the last oil change, but all they did was reset the fault code and returned the vehicle to service, exclaiming they could not duplicate the problem. Took it in last week and informed them of my concerns. Two days ago, received a call from the Tech Representative requesting permission to accomplish a complete tuneup, i.e. spark plugs, possible bad coil pack, and to perform a fuel system clean and flush. Aghast, I responded that this was a complete waste of time! On top of that, the service departments wants $775.00 dollars just for a tuneup. Obviously I think they are trying to find ways to make normal servicing so expensive that I would either choose to take my truck back and fix it myself (which voids the warranty), or to pay them a hell of a lot of money to do something that would only take about 1.5 hours. This is so they could pay the techs and the Reps labor for completing a warranty replacement, should it come down to that.I already know what is wrong with the engine. #5 (and sometimes, 1, and 3 cylinders) have a history of failing due to faulty valve seat design. The hemi heads utilized pressed-in valve seats that are powder coated from Mexico (theres problem number 1), and these rings eventually work themselves out of the valve ports, mostly the exhaust side, but sometimes the intake side. As the seats back out, but doesnt completely fall out, compression is lost although not entirely gone. This explains why some of the misfiring only happens at 3/4 to WOT responses. In severe cases, the seats come out complete resulting in destroying the piston, the heads, and possibly the timing chain if enough forced impact occurs.I have 4,000 miles left on the warranty, and it is quite clear that the dealership in Sumter South Carolina is trying to throw the vehicle back at me without actually repairing my truck. And if the tune-up doesnt solve the problem, they will have constituted SOME labor expenses from the most expensive tune-up in recorded history! $95 diagnostic charge, and nearly $700 bucks for a tuneup for no more than 1 to 2 hours of work!What ticks me off is how Chrysler has continued to engage in mafia style treatment in forcing consumers to buy their crap, con them into buying the extended warranty, and yet refuse to honor the warranty when circumstances are warranted. How in the name of God are these people allowed to continue bamboozling the American people?I have been screwed twice before from Dodge! My 1997 Dodge Stratus 2.4 liter lost a head gasket at 48,000 miles. Repairs were at my own expensive at about $650 bucks. A year later, the gasket failed again, only this time resulting in a seized engine! I next bought a 2002 Stratus R/T with the worthless 2.7 liter engine. This engine lost a water pump at 89,000 miles. But because the pump is internal, and a special tool is required to depressurize the timing chain tension pump, I was left with paying Chrysler some $900 dollars in repairs. 8 months later, it failed again only this time destroying the engine! Now my 2012 RAM may need an engine replacement, and at best, the dealership will choose a Jasper engine which are nothing but crap! Total crap! And thats even if the dealership doesnt try backing the truck back at me with a continued problem!The solution folks? DO NOT BUY DODGE! And ignore some of the online trolls telling you they have over 300,000 miles and counting on their trucks and cars. Some (if not all) of those people are paid trolls to defend Chryslers worthless piles of junk! The 5.9 engines were not that bad. Sure they were under-powered compared to the Hemis, but very rarely did any 5.9 engines fail except under vehicle maintenance neglect. There is absolutely no reason why my 2012 Dodge RAM truck should have a worn camshaft, worn lifter roller, faulty valve-seat rings, and all leading to misfiring of cylinder 5 with under 100,000 miles accumulated!Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me! Fool me thrice, then double shame on me! I swear to Chrysler that I will never buy another Dodge vehicle ever again! Moreover, I will ensure that no future customers are fooled into buying your pieces of crap! Facebook, Youtube, online forms will be filled with my rants! And trust me! Ive personally seen three people in my town with this very same problem, 2 of which had theirs repaired under warranty, but the other screwed. Looks like I am next!

So I called the dealer in Enid, OK where I had just bought the TRUCK I have always wanted to purchase, the truck of my dreams. So I turned around and went to the Dodge house and I had to get my whole truck resynchronized. No big deal. They said its a new truck, I said ok. This is my first new truck I guess this is normal. I was convinced so then I get back on the road head to work. It yaaa, its fixed, got that out of the way back to new. Almost month goes by at 2,000 miles check engine, see dealer, Im freaking out. I call the dealer. I had to get the software updated again. They said no big deal, this happens all the time. Wont hurt anything. I said somethings wrong with this. This cant be right. So they updated it again. So I hit the road 2,500 miles, it happens again. At this point Im fed up. I talk to ** the sales guy that sold me the truck and I told him whats going on. He said well lets go check it out. Checks it out and he comes back says it just needed updated and youll be good to go. I said ok but somethings not right. The sales guy said this is what happens when you buy a new truck, you have to work out the bugs. I said No, no. The whole truck is not right. He said oh its all good and if you have any more problems just stop by and we will get it fixed for you. I just walked off mad with this truck they put me in. My job moved from Enid, OK to Elk City, OK about three hrs away so I go to Doug Gray of Elk City OK. At 35,000 miles my fuel pump goes out. Wow, wow this is crazy. I have a 96 chevy that still has its original fuel pump. Wow so they fix that well about 34,000. My truck starts down shifting hard. I mean hard. There was a knock on the floor every time I would decell so I stop back by the Dodge house in Elk City OK and they had to relearn the my tranny and they charged me to relearn my tranny. I made a big deal about it but didnt wave it, stopped the hard shift I was surprised yaaaa they took care of it for me. Well a couple of weeks go by it starts the hard down shift again so I call Doug Gray of Elk City and go by there. They relearned my tranny without charge this time. Before I moved to Houston my factory warranty was almost up so I spent $1,500 to extended everything to 109,000 miles for my protection and to save me some money in the long run - nottt. Thats a joke too. I have to pay anyway at 50,000 miles. My truck was due for an oil change. I took it in there, got everything done and the service guys come out and says did you know your front differential is leaking. Its not bad but leaking. You have to get that fixed right now. I said is it under warranty? If it is, fix it. If its not, I cant afford it. But I extended my warranty, front diff seal is part of the drive train. They said yeah but you have to pay 400$, its not under your warranty. I said why. So I had gotten it fixed shortly after that and its doing fine. Now Im at 85,000 miles and I get a message SAYING PREFORM SERVICE SEE DEALER. So I had the money so I get that done for 1,800$ and I ask them what do yall have to do to fix that **? One of the service advisors at Clear Lake Dodge told me that it consist of all my filters from fuel to air to oil and that theres a filter in the def and some other exhaust filter of some sort. I said ok well and let me purchase a oil service contract. He said ok I have this good deal, 3 car wash, 3 oil changes and 3 tire rotations for 180$ so I got it and I told him not to rotate my tires because they were wore down and I was buying new ones the next day!!! So what did ** do everything I told him not to. Like he had lack of attention when he was baby (HE DID NOT TELL ME I COULD ONLY USE THAT CONTRACT THERE or his sister store). Now Im at 88,000 miles I now moved to Houston TX at 88,000 miles. Truck has been running fine until I pulled out of a parking lot and I notice my D.E.F gauge went from half a tank to nothing and it said refill D.E.F speed limited to 5 mph in 190 miles. I was like ok so I pull over and refill my def, hop back in the truck and start to take off and look down and my gauge is not working. Im like whaaat? Whaaat is going on? So I start to the house and Im worried on the way home my gauge started working until I let off the gas and my gauge stopped working again. But it reset itself back to 190 miles till limited. At least it reset itself but gauge still not working. I was going to stop in the middle of Houston and break down so I keep going. I make it home, kill my truck and started my truck again. Gauge came on then went right back off and reset itself from 100 miles to limited to 5 mph back to 190 miles to limited. I took my truck to the shop and they want to charge me cause their pump is defaulty. And this is where I sit right now, trying to get Chrysler to fix my truck. The only reason I bought a new truck is so that way I didnt have a breakdown and keep putting money into something. I think these new trucks are a joke - nice but a joke. Its like they have a button they push when they want you to spend money and invest in their product for more sales.

He held water from the garden hose on it until the VFD arrived to extinguish what was left. The end result is that from the cab forward, it is totally burned to the ground. With only liability insurance on it, its a total loss with no idea how it caught on fire. The point of origin looks to be from the drivers side fender well area under the hood. Ive heard numerous rumors of the fuse boxes shorting out, and/or the avs shorting out causing the fire. Thus far, Ive not seen or heard of any recall from Dodge. Can anyone guide me to the correct direction for restitution for my truck that was in great condition with many more miles of dependability left in it or so I thought? Is Dodge going to stand behind their product that has been proven by other owners to have this problem and make good for it? Or just keep taking our money for vehicles with a lifespan of maybe lasting long enough to pay them off before just having to dispose of it?

After the second tow, a trip to Louisiana, the engine began to bog down on me and lose power. I took it in to the dealer to get it checked out and they hit me with a $2,000 estimate for repairs. Said the EGR valve was bad ($799 for part) and needed to be replaced. They also said a front ABS wheel sensor was bad and needed to be replaced as well. Guess what, my warranty didnt cover one cent of the repairs. They said this wasnt covered in the warranty. Go Figure! Well now I have a bad taste in my mouth for having to dish out so much money. Ive always wanted to own a dually and found that the Dodge was more affordable to me. Anyway, I chalked it up as a loss and moved on. That is, until now that I have gotten a Perform Service Soon light on my dash. After consulting my owners manual, it says I need to take it in to get emissions maintenance performed. Emissions/EGR Valve....Do you see where Im going with this? So I call the dealer and ask for cost. For starters, it will cost me $110/hr. to just check out the problem. Ive owned several Nissan vehicles and let me tell you, it never costs me a cent for them to troubleshoot any problems that I have. Also, I have never paid over $200 for any issue with them. They cover almost everything and better yet their vehicles rarely break down. At least the ones I have owned havent, thanks to God! Anyway, I think I am about to trade my Dodge in for a Chevy or Ford. I wont be able to afford paying Dodge for all the high repair costs and maintain payments at the same time. I really wish Nissan would come out with a ton pick up!!

Took to another dealer and they said theyre ordering parts and the radio had a recall. One month later came out from work to drive the two hour ride home from work - truck wont start, had to wait for tow truck. Now I am at a third dealership with my 68 thousand dollar truck chained down to a tow truck and I repeat the process of explaining the broken seats check engine light def service light tire monitoring needs service radio data system is still broke after the first recall etc. They call me a week later saying it is all fixed...I drove the two hours back making my wife miss work because they wont issue a truck to borrow while yours is getting fixed. Show up and nothing is fixed but they ordered all the parts. The truck starts though but still has broken seats def service by dealer tire pressure monitoring service are all still there. They ordered parts and will call. They told me it was a loose battery connection. I laughed cause that was my first thought as I checked it being I am a local 12 heavy equipment mechanic for the last 18 years and had my service truck right there. They lie cause I was fed up and got the Chrysler resolution team involved, the day I was stranded two hours away from home not returning to my house until 2am 11 hours after my truck wouldnt start and my wife got off work and picked me up. I have owned the truck 7 months and have been to the dealer 7 times - nothing has been fixed, just ordered with no call backs. After this month Im giving it back to the bank and will have a repossession all because Chrysler fiat ram cares nothing about customer service or their disgusting product. To all my union brothers, dont buy a ram or dodge - it will be a disaster you wont ever recover from. Stick with the Rord super duty or Chevrolet, they wont leave you and yours helplessly stranded lost and confused in the dark.

A lot of recalls but all in all good truck traded with 50,000 miles. Second one was a 2011 3500 mega cab. Dual climate control was out when I drove it off the lot. 10 to 12 mpg which was bad. Third brake light and sun roof leaked, dash rattled 24/7 and 4wd would not work half the time. Really disappointed in that truck traded with 19,000 miles. So I bought my third truck which is the 2015 ram 2500. This truck is so weak Id rather pull with a 1500 and the transmission slips for the first 1/8 mile in morning. Truck now has 9000 miles. So in my opinion Im done with Ram trucks. As soon as I can trade this truck its gone. Take this review how you like. This is just my experience with Ram trucks.

Again instead of just blowing fuse the computer shorted out again. Same shop, same story. I replaced it and all worked well. Now last week my air conditioner failed to cool, it is in the shop and Im hoping the fuse box has not shorted out again. The dealer told me it was a wire harness problem the first time I didnt hear from them the second time. Just wondering if this is a common problem. Paying 600 dollars for a new board is not my idea of a good product. Can someone help me?

Put this tarp on your vehicle if the temp drops below -1C or 30 degrees F. Therefore, I paid for a $75,000.00 (tax included) that must have this cover on it in order to drive in cold weather. (I remember 40 yrs ago putting a piece of cardboard in front the radiator of my car to improve the heat, it is now 2015 and nothing seems to have changed.) Otherwise, a warning light comes on then the vehicle goes into limp mode (max speed 30 mph). If this happens I was told to find a warm garage and park the truck in it until it warms up. I can see this happening on a 400 series hwy at 1 am in the morning, and having a huge tracker-trailer drive into me from behind, as I am only limping along trying to find an exit and warm garage. Someone will die from this defect. It is totally unacceptable, incredibly dangerous, and completely irresponsible of Chrysler to hide this defect until you buy the vehicle, then say oh by the way you need this tarp to drive your $75,000.00 truck in the winter. I have had my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi for 6 months now. The first problem is Sirius radio does not work all the time. It cuts off and on almost constantly. Second, and most troubling, is the transmission is not shifting properly from over drive (6th) down to any other setting. It takes about 5 to 10 seconds to respond, and while in cruise, it will delay downshifting while climbing an incline for as long as it takes to drop 5 to 7 miles per hour before it reacts. The other problem is first thing in the morning, the transmission will not go into reverse. You start the truck and drop it into reverse, and it just sits there. Put it back into park and wait about 1 to 3 minutes, and it goes into reverse but backs up so slowly that you would swear it was freezing outside.Next, the rear view mirror doesnt dim at night. Next, there is no road hazard warranty on the tires direct from Goodyear or the dealer, but they dont tell you that. Next, the truck was advertised to get 20 highway and 14 in town. My GMC truck got 21 on the highway, and this thing gets at best 13.8 MPG. I was told that the mileage should improve. I now have 38K on the truck, and fuel mileage has dropped to 9.2 MPG.Now to the best part. I have had this truck in my dealers face at least 1 week a month or more every month for the past 6 months (since purchased new), and the line Im being fed is that there is nothing wrong with my truck. Since it has not set a code, the dealer (and per Dodge) cannot change a part or spend their money correcting anything that isnt or doesnt break.I make my living with my truck. Im losing money every mile I drive with the fuel expenses. A friend of mine is getting 22 MPG with his truck (a new 2012 also). Any one with a 2012 Ram that is experiencing the fuel mileage problems I have seen, please contact me. I need 500 owners with verifiable fuel mileage concerns to start a class action suit against Dodge. This is my third Dodge Ram truck and it has been in service 16 times in 2 years. I have had everything from a drivers airbag warning light taking 5 trips to get fixed (and I had to live with while driving 3,000 miles across the country) to multiple DEF problems with the last one resulting in the entire replacement of certain systems. Perhaps the most troubling aspect of this truck is how many times there is a software update affecting the performance of the engine and mileage. 3 updates ago my mileage dropped 25%. The most recent update has restore much of this. As reported by others, the front end does not hold alignment and at 20,000 had to replace one front tire. The dealer here in Salt Lake City has both had their hands tied by Ram warranty service requirements (resulting in multiple trips) as well as having them drill through my brake line while doing another recall changing the bracing in my front end for which I did not receive any notice.That is another troubling aspect of the New Ram company. They wait until your truck comes in to tell you oh, we have a recall rather than sending any notification. The last two times I took my truck in resulted in the truck being gone for 3 days the first time (I just took it in for an oil change) to 5 days the last time for the DEF warning again resulting in both multiple recall changes and having my brake line drilled. I simply do not trust the truck any longer for long distant trips and hauling. Honestly, I think much of the blame has to go to Fiat and how they allow dealers to address problems and issues. Its like dealing with a health insurance claim. I have little doubt this story is playing out all over the Chrysler network as well.

Truck has been with the dealer the entire time, engineer has given go ahead to fix the issue and the truck is still not fixed. NO ONE from Chrysler/Dodge has returned my calls (four so far), dealer says they can only put the shop foreman on my truck but he needs to supervise others so cant commit a full eight hours a day to my truck. Will say they have given me a rental truck to use but I want this resolved.I am particularly frustrated that no one has the decency at Chrysler to return my call. I do not want this truck back. Am going to chase them for a new 2015 Ram 1500. Have contacted a lawyer, the CT Dept. Of Consumer Protection and if this is not resolved to my satisfaction soon I will contact my local news media and inform them of what happened.

The gas mileage is as advertised and the 3.6 six is powerful enough since I do not tow. My dealership is exceptional, Reagle Dodge in Banger. The fit and finish is excellent and up to import standards. I never had to return to the dealer for driving issues. Only problem I had was with the connect that was replaced. Reading other reviews the dealer you buy from is important.

I have put 15k mile on it and love the room and performance of my truck. However, the 8 speed transmission has issues and was in shop for a day. Note: It took 3 weeks for the dealer to get the parts. Im not sure if it’s been fixed since I only got to drive it for about 3 weeks and then it had a major oil leak. I took it to my dealer on Dec. 19th and today is Jan. 3rd and I still do not have my truck. The dealership told me it would be 3 weeks, which is stupid! So, I contacted Dodge and they cannot give me a reason other than they are trying to locate a part. I was referred to a case manager whom hasnt returned any of my 4 calls. Also, I was given the part mgr. number at corp. office. Once again, No return phone calls. I like my truck but, I will not deal with this lack of service from Dodge Ram Trucks. My dealer has been great to deal with but this new V-6 has issue with the oil filter housing and the 8 speed transmission does too. I thought I was buying the truck of the year. But I made a big mistake. Buyer Beware. I wouldnt recommend anyone purchase this truck unless you are looking for trouble.

Had radio updated 3xs before replacing to fix the nav system. The major issue is that when I slow or come to a stop I get diesel exhaust fumes coming from the vents. I have complained to the dealer about 4xs about this, they can never find anything. Last trip in last week they smelled the exhaust and replaced the EGR. Picked up truck Saturday, drove it Monday and same issue. Started a case with Chrysler. They called back and asked what is my expected outcome? Really told them take the truck and give me my money back, just dont think they know how to correct the issue and its to the point no one will ride in the truck. This is nasty, not to mention a health hazard. This is my 1st & last Chrysler product Ill ever buy.

Ended up having a broken valve spring, 2 bent pushrods, and 2 lifters had to be changed. Rather than change the engine, they said there was no internal engine damage and would fix it. With the noise it made Im shocked theres no other internal damage. They fixed it and sent me on my way.A month later I change the oil and it was full of metal flakes. I guess when they diagnose for internal damage they do not look at the oil. I cant understand that. I called about the issue and they said I should not be doing my own maintenance and theres no proof that there was any metal in the oil because I changed it. How else would I have found this out? They have no idea where the metal could have came from but theres enough to make golf ball sized ball. Told me I was covered by the engine warranty and they would do nothing further to the truck and still deny theres internal engine damage. So I will continue to drive it circulating metal. They didnt even want it back to flush it out.A month later the check engine light is on so I have the code read with a reader at Auto Zone. Theres something wrong with the oil pump. Instead of replacing the engine they are going to keep making me bring it back, an hour away, to keep repairing it until the warranty is over. This engine should have been replaced, not band-aided. My $46,000 truck has rebuilt engine, more internal damage that they will not acknowledge, and only has 11,000 miles on it. Chrysler does not stand by their products and has no interest in making it right. Just wanted to warn others about what happens with Chrysler products when theres an issue.

And the next I had airbags and a crash. 1 week later I got the recall in the mail for the airbags. I still have not received the recall for temporary loss of vehicle control. Ram has not responded to my report of the recall, its been a week and I have called EVERY day to see when I get to talk to someone. I walked into local Ram dealer and asked for the local Chrysler rep-Scott ** - I cant get his number nor will they give me his email or even a mailing address for a lawsuit letter! My GEICO rep wants to part out my totaled truck without looking into the recall. I am told by 3 GEICO adjusters, they are not going to download the box... the magic box that will confirm my airbags, and if I want to persist i.e. It I can. Wow. Where is the class action? My attorney said since me and my kids werent racking up thousands of medical bills (we were only going 15 mph) it is not worth taking on. I am now out 10,000 to get my same truck this year. I am changing insurance, to say the least, and want to sue Chrysler... but have no address for my lawyer to send a letter to! Anyone else have this problem??? My uncle owned a Chrysler dealership for 30 years (retired for last 15) and has never heard of such negligence by Ram. He is embarrassed to have been their rep/dealer.

I have just done rustproofing and car was standing outside for 3 days without being used as per recommendation due to drip, but found it weird that the smoke appeared after an hour of driving, did not make sense. As I was pulling over to make sure my tires are not on fire engine shut down without a warning or any type of alarm. I was towing an empty trailer which was soaked with black engine oil and after checking the oil level, there was none in the engine. After towing my truck back to the dealer and diagnostic (500$CAN) was told that they found metal shavings in oil pan, the main crankshaft bearing failed = metal shavings spread, build up pressure that blew rear main seal and due to engine oil loss resulted in catastrophic engine failure. Since in Canada warranty is only to 100000Km and I am at 141000Km, it will not be covered by a warranty, and service manager, after showing me the bill for repairs told me I should of bought an extended warranty (thanks **, for a reliable product that I bought from your dealership). Called Fiat and any one I could think of, seemed that the system is stacked against consumer. Estimate for repair is 19000$CAN plus 26h of labour, plus tax. (oh and they are on a 2 week backorder since they only make 20/week) Towed my car on my own to US dealers who are currently installing my new engine (used cost 6500USD and new 9985$ USD) and labour is 23h to do the job (usually 2 business days or less to deliver new engine). In US it is 100000miles warranty and receptionist assured me that he will look into the warranty for me on his side, not holding my breath, but after dealing with all these issues and not having a car for a month, my trust in Dodge or Fiat products has been diminished. After doing a little googling for this particular issue, a lot of info out there, bottom line there has not been a Canadian/US class action movement yet although quite a bit of engine failures stats for 2017 - 19 Fiat EcoDiesel failures per week in comparison to Cummings 2/week. Not sure where they got their stats but will look into closely. Mine is a 2015 and has even worse rep as per online reviews. Depend on my outcome with America dealer when I pick up my truck with new engine in it (so far customer service has been 100% better). As for Canadian side, I will no longer buy a car there from any dealer due to heavy monopoly, price gouging and a very poor customer service.

Bought the vehicle in February. Chrysler paid it off July the 7th. Bought a Ram 2500 crew cab on June 28th. In shop on July 9th, with 350 miles; transmission went out. Ill tell you something: All dealerships are the same after; they could care Less!! Bought my first one from Haddad Dodge in Bakersfield and my second one from Hunter Dodge in Lancaster. Both new trucks, neither one made it to 400 miles before they went into the shop. Shouldve kept my Ford Power stroke, was an awesome truck. Ram seems to have dropped its quality control to meet its high demand.

FCA is the division of Chrysler that Manufactures the Ram since it was take from Dodge in 2010. I have replaced the tires at 22,000 and the rear tires are over half worn and the fronts are still new. FCA customer care will not pay to find out what is causing the problem. I am selling the truck so I dont have to replace the tires every 9,000 miles at a coast of $200 per tire.

After contracting Chrysler numerous time I had to contact BBB to get anything resolved.Last interaction with Chrysler said I was eligible for a buyback after going through the national center for dispute settlement. With no resolve, come to find out national center for dispute settlement always sides with company which is why they sent me there. During this process I dealt with people who were rude and unhelpful who would hang up on me and not return calls and emails. Last time I tried to take it in for the latest issue (airbag light came on and advised service needed) was told they could not work on it because it was under arbitration even though this is a major safety issue.

On 03-31-2014 I purchased a Chrysler Group- 2014 North American Map update for Uconnect 430N (RHB) for my 2012 Dodge Ram. When I received the DVD disk update I place the disk in the radio as instructed to do so by the instructions that came with the update DVD. According to the instructions there was to be a screen prompt that provided a Unit ID and a validation code. The next step was to access a computer and go to garmin.com/auto-update/maps/activate. However, I was never able obtain the two items(unit ID and validation code) because the DVD disk fail to provide these two items and went directly into downloading the new maps. When the disk went into downloading the new maps, it deleted the old maps. It takes about two hours to download the new maps with the vehicle running. Since the DVD disk failed to prove the first two items (unit ID and Validation code) I was not able to access the unlock code in order to complete the download process. Now for the real problems; I am currently not able to use my GPS system in the truck, no map access. I called customer support at 1-800- 800-1020 who referred me to another custom service at 866-462-8837 to inquire about the problem with the DVD disk. The person I talked with did not have any knowledge about my GPS system in my vehicle. I must mention that the support center is a call center was not able to provide any remedy or suggestion concerning the DVD disk problem. All they recommended was to take it to a dealer. I took the vehicle to my dealer and they stated there was nothing wrong with the GPS system that it most likely a bad map update disk. So I called the support center (call center) back and advised them of what my dealer said (bad disk) and asked for disk replacement. The service center stated that I would have to send the DVD disk back to the manufacture (HERE, LLC) before anything could be done about a new Disk. So made next step was to send back the Disk and Hoping for a new disk so I could get my GPS working before vacation time. I sent the disk back on 04-10-2014 by certified mail (cost $8.68). On 05-09-2014, almost a month later I received a phone call from the producer of the map update disk (HERE, LLC) that they are going to refund the purchase price of the disk ($160.00) since they are not able to provided a new update DVD disk for my GPS.When I advised them that my GPS was not working since attempting to update my GPS with their DVD disk almost two months ago their only recommendation was to take back to the dealer. I order the map update from Chrysler Group in good faith but failed to get any real support from them or the Disk manufacturer. On checking their website that offered the map updates I found that the product for GPS update was temporarily out of stock. Apparently the manufacture (HERE, LLC ) realized a problem with the Map update disc. Now Im still without use of my $60,000.00 Dodge Ram Uconnect 430N navigation system because of a company Chrysler uses to produce map updates for their vehicles. I believe that HERE, LLC should have made an effort to insure that what they produce for consumers are flawless and without error when they want people to buy their product. In this case HERE, LLC has not made any effort to contact consumers and correct their problem with the map update Disk. Very unhappy with Chrysler and customer service.

2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie 4x4.5.9 Cummins, AT - I bought my 2005 in 2005 with 44,000 miles on it from a dealer In Victorville Ca. The first owner bought, sold trailers out of state and used the heck out of this towing for 11 months. It was in good shape so, I own it now. Price reflected the high miles. It has just over 108,000 on it now. I tow a 10,000 toy hauler with it, some times up high in the mountains. Not towing Hwy 18.6mpg at 65mph/16.5 at 75mph. Towing 14.5 at 65mph. Do not drive 75mph with that trailer. 1800 RPM is sweet spot for torque to fuel mileage. The brakes and BF Goodrich tires were replaced at 44,000 mile purchase date. I just put my first tires on it at 108,000. Brakes in front are almost ready to be replaced as well as the upper and lower ball joints (Darn heavy Cummins). I have serviced the engine every 3,000 miles. Serviced cooling system and gear boxes at 90,000 miles. Automatic trans at 75,000 miles. I run Lucas fuel additive to help out with the occasional bad diesel I seem to get. I have been very happy with this purchase. No interior or exterior problems. This truck is not as fast or powerful as the new ones, but God bless it. It will do anything I need. I had a 2001 with the Cummins w/ 5 spd manual. I loved that truck. Before that a 1997 with the V-10. My friend is still driving it with I do not know how many miles on it. Just saying: I have had either good luck or been blessed. I am going to purchase a 2005 Rumble Bee tomorrow. Yellow and Hemi YeeHaw. Got to have something sporty for a change. No, the above rated truck is not for sale.

It is getting to the point where the dash could become dislodged in pieces and either fall into the dashboard area or worse, shatter in sharp pieces in the event of a collision. I called the customer service 800 number and was told that even though I am the original owner of the vehicle, that Dodge would do nothing to make my vehicle safe for me and my kids because there were too many miles on the truck. Sad thing is that the truck has been an excellent vehicle, fun, completely reliable, and I wont buy another Dodge product because they wont fix a cosmetic issue that could be very dangerous.Short sighted corporation, as I would have bought another Dodge in a heartbeat, but not now.
