Find big savings on Ram Automobile(s) at Auto Helpers. Low Prices.

The 2025 Ram 1500 is the full-size pickup from Ram (part of Stellantis) that continues to compete in the lightduty truck segment. For the 2025 model year it receives a significant update—new powertrain architecture, refreshed styling and upgraded interior/tech—while retaining the versatility, capability and premium features that many buyers expect from a Ram truck.

Key Powertrains & Performance

For 2025, Ram drops the older V8 HEMI engines (for the most part) and introduces new “Hurricane” 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six engines (in two states of tune). The first outputs about 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque

A higher-output version of the 3.0-litre inline-six produces around 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque in the top trims.

A base 3.6-litre V6 with eTorque mild-hybrid assist is still offered in some trims, delivering around 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque.

Transmission is an 8-speed automatic across the range.

Towing capacity reaches up to 11,580 pounds in its most capable configuration.

Payload (depending on configuration) can be as much as around 2,300 pounds

Design, Interior & Technology

The 2025 Ram 1500 receives a refreshed exterior with updated grille patterns, new lighting signatures (including animated LED lighting in some trims) and updated wheel designs.

Inside, the cabin steps up significantly: the base touchscreen gets larger (standard is now an 8.4-inch display, with optional 12-inch or 14.5-inch screens), and a passenger-side display (10.3-inch) is available.

Luxury touches are extended in the top trims—heated/ventilated/massaging seats, suede headliner, premium audio systems (e.g., 23-speaker Klipsch on the new “Tungsten” trim).

Technology and comfort features include wireless smartphone integration (Apple CarPlay/Android Auto), dual wireless charging pads, digital instrument cluster, digital rearview mirror, and advanced driver-assist features.

Strengths

Capability: With high towing and payload numbers in the class, the 2025 Ram 1500 is a strong contender for buyers who need serious utility.

Modernized tech and luxury: The updated interior and tech bring a more premium feel to the truck, appealing to buyers who treat their pickup as a daily driver or a lifestyle vehicle.

Powertrain performance: The new twin-turbo inline-six engines provide compelling power and torque—helping the truck feel quicker and more modern compared to older V8 models.

Versatility: Multiple configurations (cab size, bed length, 2WD/4WD) allow tailoring to work, family or recreational use.

Considerations / Trade-Offs

Fuel economy: While the new engines aim for improved efficiency, real-world economy will vary and the largest powertrains are still heavy on fuel compared to smaller or hybrid-weighted trucks. For example: the high-output inline-six with 4WD is estimated at around 15 mpg city / 21 mpg highway in U.S. testing.

Price escalation: As you step up in trims, add features or choose larger-capacity tow/payload packages, the cost rises substantially. The top “Tungsten” trim is listed at near $90,000 USD in some cases.

Size & maneuverability: Full-size trucks are large by nature—parking, tight spaces and urban use may be more challenging than midsize or compact alternatives.

Complexity: With more electronic features, high-tech screens and luxury options, there can be more things that might require maintenance or updates compared to more basic work-truck models.

Ideal Buyer Profile

The 2025 Ram 1500 is best suited for someone who:

Needs or wants the utility of a full-size pickup—whether for towing, hauling, or transporting gear.

Also cares about comfort, technology and interior quality—not just raw capability.

Drives the truck regularly (not just rarely for work) and appreciates modern features, connectivity and refinement.

Has the budget and is willing to invest in a higher-level trim if they want the premium feel, or willing to start more modestly with lower trims if prioritizing utility over luxury.

Summary

In short, the 2025 Ram 1500 represents a significant step forward for Ram’s full-size truck in terms of powertrain, tech, luxury and versatility. If you’re shopping for a truck that can handle serious work and also serve as a refined daily driver, the 2025 model is a strong option. Of course, as with any vehicle, you’ll want to confirm the specific configuration (engine, cab/bed size, 2WD vs 4WD) suits your needs, and consider how the cost fits your budget.

2011 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 diesel. Less than a year old, the engine light would be on and off. As of November 2012, the engine will not start. It has been to 3 dealers with no conclusion of the problem. The computer has been changed along with other items. Chrysler now claims that the engine is out of warranty because of bad fuel. Not to mention, the last dealer who had it left the motor disassembled and pieces missing. I highly recommend anyone going for a Chrysler or Dodge product to seriously reconsider. This vehicle is costing me tons of money with my business, and personal costs such as attorney fees, tow bills, rentals, and loss of work.

Dodge Ram 1500 2014 6cyl 4x4 purchased new. I had two problems with this truck. 1. Cruse control didnt work all the time. 2. Driver side electric window and door lock controller had to be replaced. These were the only problems I had. The transmission started acting up. Not shifting smoothly and lagging. This started after 80,000 accumulated miles. On the positive side this truck was a joy to drive. Easy to handle. Tracked straight and true in all weather conditions. Comfortable cabin that was quiet with an excellent stock stereo sound system. The electronics were easy to use, especially the blue tooth phone system. I drove this truck for a total of 5 years.

I own 2 - 2015 Dodge Rams and 1 - 2016 Dodge Ram. 2 are 3500s. ALL 3 have premature front end tire wearing. Im talking less than 20k miles. On top of it all, the local dealership I purchased from said they dont know how to rotate the tires on the 3500s. Im at a loss that a service department can be so stupid!!! Plus, I get blue puffs out of exhaust with the 3500s when they start each morning. Also, the one 3500 has serious shifting issues. Trucks have been in 3 times each. Each time its been an absolute cluster and I have to physically remove my husband from the property or he was gonna lose it on these people. My father is the Fleet Manager at the dealership so I have to handle myself in a dignified manner but the dealership is blowing smoke up my skirt. I finally sent an email to corporate and NOW they sent a big wig down here and they are going to assess it. We all know how thats gonna turn out. Bottom line, no vehicle should have worn tires before 20k miles - ON ALL 3!!! Anyone else having this issue?

I own a Ram 1500 Ecodiesel fairly new that just got diagnosed with overheating conditions and therefore the dealer can NOT release the truck until repaired have been made to the vehicle. However, the corporate department handling the claim says that I have to rent a truck out of my packet for undetermined amount of time until they find out how to fix the recall so they can than release my truck. From one of their mouths I’ve heard that it might take up to six months! Has anyone ever experienced this issue with Chrysler? If so, what’s the easiest route to make them responsible for this kind of down side for consumers like me? Any help is appreciated. I have purchased 3 dodge Rams and 1 Dodge Challenger in the past 5 years. But after this, I am certain they won’t ever see me in their showroom again. It’s just that bad of experience!

2011 dodge Ram 1500 - Seems the dealer is just into changing parts. Still have the same problem after 3 times trying to get it fixed. Maybe some of the same truck owners out there can help me. I am concerned about safety for me and other drivers on the road. I am a disabled veteran and my wheelchair is transported in the bed of the truck. Has anyone else had this stalling problem and was it fixed?

Bought this 2015 Ram with 24k on it and since that it has been only problem
Bought this 2015 Ram with 24k on it and since that it has been only problems. Truck has either engine (5.7L hemi on it) or transmission problems. It shakes and hard to start in morning and also, dont downshift in time, when it needs and the exhaust system rattle under the truck. And after a few seconds (30-40 to be precise) it downshift and truck moves. It also jerks the transmission. Downhill it wont change gears until you get to the bottom of the hill or if I step on gas to give more speed (crazy stuff). Also in reverse it make a pitch noise. Took to dealer a few times already but they keep saying they cant reproduce the problem. I suggest take a ride with mechanics. They denied. They update the software but no changes at all. If you buying a truck get a Toyota at least. It’s well-made.

On 2/22/12, I took my 06 Dodge Ram 1500 to the Jeff Wyler Chrysler/Jeep Dealership at 100 Alexandria Pike, in Ft. Thomas, KY in response to not one but two recall announcements. After the dealership repaired the turn signal malfunction, I received a call telling me the lug nuts bloated and not easily coming off. I was then informed it would cost me $159.60 for new lug nuts and replacing. In view of the fact, I was there in response to a Chrysler recall to replace a hub bearing which required removing the wheels. It amazes me the dealer doesnt have a lug wrench to remove the original lug nuts. I discussed this with the service manager to see if this was an unusual occasion. The response was a yes. At that point, I began to suspect this is one of those dealer scam occurrences. I called the Chrysler Dodge Ram Case Management Group in Detroit. After playing telephone tag with a Leslee for week to finally get her to understand which Jeff Wyler dealership in KY and OH I had dealt with, she was very unsure of the next steps. I asked to speak to a manager. I talked to a man who was totally unfamiliar with the case and immediately took the corporate position that the lug nuts are out of warranty. I found that apprehensible. If Chrysler cant make a lug nut that lasts longer than one year, Im not surprised the American auto industry is in big trouble. A very discourteous woman got on the line and echoed the same thing. Just so you know, I currently own two Chrysler products. I also leased a Chrysler 300C about 4 years ago. In net, I have owned three Chrysler products in the past 4 years and was in fact looking at Jeep SUVs at that dealer for my wife. In conclusion, I am very angry about being ripped off by a dealer who doesnt own a usable lug wrench. Even more so, Im angry at a company like Chrysler that is so shortsighted you are willing to lose significant future business rather than correct what I believe is a very poor customer service decision. Unless I receive a full refund of $159.60, I will soon divest myself from the Dodge Stratus and the Ram 1500.

Have had an issue with the gas mileage on my 2013 Ram Longhorn since I got it. Can only get 15 to 16 MPH on the highway with ECO engaged. I have owned a 2007, 2009 (the best one with 19 to 22 MPH) and a 2011. None of the previous trucks ever had MPH that bad. Four trips to dealer and all I get is the ECO is working fine. Have 36,000+ on it now and still no improvement. Numerous electrical problems too. Pretty sure, I will not buy another Ram.

While driving my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 truck, the ignition shuts down. The truck stalls out and I lose power steering and control. This has happened on several occasions and many times nearly caused an accident. I have spoke with Dodge about this dangerous situation more than once and have taken my vehicle into the local Dodge dealer for repairs. Some of the repairs were performed on a recall status, however this stalling problem has not been addressed and does not show up on the computer; therefore it doesnt exists!! My truck stalled five times yesterday and had to struggle to steer it off the road to prevent a rear-end collision. My wife was with me twice and refuses to ride in this vehicle any longer. I called Dodge yesterday and was on hold for 35 minutes. I finally called a representative not associated with any recalls and expressed my dissatisfaction concerning this matter. I was told there would be a 24 hour time period before a supervisor returned my call. I have not heard as yet. I clearly do not know what to do. I need this vehicle for my work and it has been modified to tow vehicles. I just cant climb in another vehicle and perform my duties. Dodge does not want to admit there is a problem because then it would have to be added to their long list of recalls. I wonder if it will show up on their computers when there is a fatality. Apparently, they have scheduled another appointment at a different dealer to check the truck again. I will have to take time off work and only hope I arrive there safely.

I purchased my Ram 3500 2014 from Scottsdale Airpark ram in Arizona. This dealership will not help me with any of the below issues. Chrysler, paid a tech to do a ride along, and the tech seen all the below issues, but the computer said the truck was fine. Well it is NOT fine. This is the biggest piece of ** on the road. Please read #15. Very important. 1) The exhaust break does NOT work. 2) There is no power from the turbo. I cant even tow my 10,000 lb toy hauler up a hill. On my way to Flagstaff a 1973 40 Winnebago passed me. WTF! 3) Passenger rear light out, still shows up on screen. Airpark ram cant fix this. 4) Passenger light on step is now out. It was working when I dropped it off on 12-3-14. 5) Steering wheel is still sloppy. There is too much play. This is the fifth time they tightened it. 6) There is masking tape residue on the passenger side, after the windshield was removed at Airpark, to install the new ceiling. 7) Still no stopping power from truck breaks when trailer is hooked up. 8) Replace ceiling. Bill has it ordered. Never installed after a month and a half. 9) Tires are bald. Bill has an email to Coy. Waiting on response. Response was Not our problem. 10) There still is loud eerie creaking noises coming from truck, when in off position. 11) The horn sometimes sounds weak. You can hardly hear it. 12) Still no power and lag when towing a trailer. 13) The truck auto starts on its own. 14) The truck will not let you in sometimes when using the remote.15) BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!! The truck will go into full acceleration when you are driving. It has almost KILLED me, and others when this happens.I would like to start a class action lawsuit. Please call if you have the same issues.

Since there are many complaints, heres a positive review: Bought a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn 4x4 Hemi truck new in December 2014 with every available option including air suspension. Everything has worked as it should since day 1, and now, almost 2 years later, I have 35,000 miles on it. The 8-speed tranny is smooth as silk and the hemi performs flawlessly. I tow a 3500-lb boat occasionally and have had no issues. I wasnt sure if Id like the Ram Box option, but there is so much storage for tools, trailer hitches, etc. that I love it. Sometimes when I pick up fast food to take home, I put it in the Ram Box where it stays warm and keeps the inside of the truck smelling new longer. My previous truck was a 2003 Dodge 2500 SLT 2WD, Cummins w/6-spd manual that I put 225,000 miles on, and other than regular maintenance, I changed the water pump twice, and the radiator once. Got 22 mpg city, 27 mpg hwy.

I purchased a brand new 2011 Ram 2500 and my serviceman at the dealership noticed severe rust spots while doing an oil change last May. I cannot believe a 5 yr old vehicle would have a problem like that. The dealership said it would cost $1,500.00 to replace because they have to lift the motor to change the pan. I wash my truck regularly. I contacted Ram customer care and they said it is out of warranty and it is because I live in the northeast. If Ram is going to design a vehicle where you have to lift the motor to change the pan, how about using a quality steel that will not rust out in 5 yrs.

In May my engine light came on. Now in November after 12k miles and 25 actual documented trips to service we still have same issue with Def system problems. Dealership, dodge and Cummings are all involved. Its going in again next week to install a device to monitor the truck from another location as well as a new pump and another sensor that has been replace multiple time. This is my everyday driver and being without a truck like this is not useful. In the 25 times I have been given a car once (had to be jumped 1/2 mile away to get back home) and a 1/2 ton old Chevy truck 3 times. Chrysler has given me a case manager and somehow my case was closed last week, I call inquiring why and they couldnt tell me but started a new one. Anyone else suspicious? 5 times so far the computer has threatened to shut down in 200 miles and instructs getting to dealership. So next week is 26 times in the shop since May with my everyday 5500 work truck with a dump landscape box, tool boxes, snow plow and computer stand installed in truck. I wish I could take away everyone elses computer until this truck is fixed.

Took my 2012 ram 3500 Dually in for service.. Repair front hubs, bearings, front steering stabilizer, and 4-wheel drive transfer case, alignment... Also to fix the warning lights that keep coming on (Service 4-wheel drive, ABS light and brake light).. Ok so got all this done at Arrigo Dodge in West Palm Beach.. They had the truck for 12 days... Got it back and transfer case making a binding noise, lights are still on, and front end now pulls to the right... Take it back to them and they have it another week.. Pick it up and the lights come on again.. Ok so now I tell the service guy I need to drive to Colorado 1800 miles. Is the truck safe? He said Yes dont worry about the warning lights. Just have it looked at when you get there. If they stay on... Well Im not a mechanic so I drive it there not realizing that the ABS brakes dont work when those lights are on.. And Im pulling a 24-ft trailer... So I get to Florida take it to the Dodge dealer to get it checked out. The dealer checked out the truck... Come to find out the alignment was done wrong which wore the 2 front tires to the core and they put the wrong chain in the transfer case and used the wrong sealant in the transfer case.. The Dodge dealer in FL was contacted by the Dodge dealer in Colorado and this was brought to their attention. And the spec sheets and repair diagnostic was given to the dealer who incorrectly did the work the first time (Arrigo Dodge WPB). The Colorado Dodge dealer said that the dealer who fixed the truck originally should pay for the repairs.. I contacted them several times even speaking to the owner of the Dodge dealer, getting nowhere.. Now Im out 1500 dollars and that is not right.. Let alone I put my family in danger since the Colorado Dodge dealer said there could have been a bad accident due to the repairs.. I think that the original dealer should be liable for the repairs cost... Thats why we take our truck to the dealership to get worked on by certified mechanic.. To be safe and right... Again Im not a mechanic... Thank God nobody got serious hurt on the road... That would be a law suit waiting to happen...

Dodge Ram Rebel 1500. Purchased from Key Dodge, Lebanon, New Hampshire. Dodge Ram has in floor storage beneath rear passenger feet on both sides of the vehicle. Driving down a dirt road stick or branch kicked up. Broke plastic in floor bin/storage into interior of vehicle. Stopped by Key dealership to inquire as to pricing for parts. Was led to believe damage was indeed covered under warranty. Vehicle brought to dealership the next day and received a call two hours later after inspection of vehicle and informed that warranty would not cover damage. In order to do repairs for bin/storage the entire floor carpeting needs to be replaced. Interior of vehicle now is able to be exposed to outside elements i.e. road salt, dirt. Bad design flaw for an off-road capable vehicle plastic bin exposed on underbody of vehicle where road debris most certainly come into contact with said bin. Maybe some metal guard over bin or different bin/storage construction.

Bought a brand new 2016 Ram Rebel off the show room floor and drove it home
Bought a brand new 2016 Ram Rebel off the show room floor and drove it home. Noticed a smell and looked under truck and saw fluid leaking for transmission. Dealer said it was all different parts but in the end they had to replace the trans. They had it for a week and a 1/2, said it was done so I picked it up then the shifting felt like the trans. was going to fall out. Brought it back the next day. They said they put the wrong program in and installed the correct program. Picked up that night, just to see they hit the driver side mirror and marked it. Called to let them know the next day. No one seems to care, still waiting for them to have their detail person call me, truck still smells like its burning something and it comes into the cab. Took it back. They said the radiator fan cover fell off and they reinstalled it. They think that was the burning smell. Picked it up, drove home and still smell the burning.Brought it back. They kept the truck over the weekend and on Monday night they said it was ready. Came back and they said they cant find no leaks but it still smells. They said it could be from the trans. oil that leaked all over the exhaust, and it could take 3 or more months for the smell to go away but they dont know where its coming from, I made an appointment with another dealer to hopefully get this fixed. The truck stickers at $51,700 and I guess RAM trucks are suppose to run like $500 oil burning cars.NOW for Chrysler care support they suck worse than the dealer. I have been assigned several different case managers that never call you back even though they say within 24 hrs. BS, I had my truck back before they even got a hold of the dealership. Then even though I have been taking it to the dealership they said it had been over 30 days and I would have to start a new case file so I did then I was assigned David who I had to call back because it had been over 2 days, even though their people say within 24 hrs. So David tells me he cant get a hold of the dealership thats why he was not calling me back. I told him I had made another appointment at a different dealership to maybe see if another dealership can fix it. I asked him if he could arrange a loaner car for me and he kept talking about how the other dealership hasnt called him back so I asked him if he was even listening to what I had been saying. He didnt even know what I was talking about.I think he was playing Pokemon Go on his phone instead of listening. I asked for him to transfer me to his supervisor. He said he couldnt. I asked him for his supervisors name and I would call them. He said he couldnt give me that information. I asked him if he knew his supervisors name even, so I hung up and called Chrysler back and was on hold for like 25 min before someone answered then I was give elevated alert and was sent to another person who told me I was being assigned to another case person not her but that person will get back to me within 24 hrs. Again this has not happened, but that will be another story Im sure, but the Shylo women I spoke to but couldnt take my case. Told me that they are not allowed to give supervisors names out, that is company policy so if you have an idiot for a case manager you have no recourse to talk to someone above him to get your car fixed. In my two months, of dealing with Chrysler I havent had a case manager that has been competent and able to fix my car or even get a hold of any of the dealerships. None of the case managers call within the 24 hours that is promised by lower Chrysler care employees; normally it takes around 4-5 days to get a callback or even after the truck goes into the dealer to get serviced, and they just say so is the truck fixed now? I believe Chrysler care is just a way to slow down the process of getting your car repaired. Think they are a way to piss you off so you either trade or sell the truck without them having to do a buy back or actually spend the money to fully fix the truck.I have bought 4 Rams and 5 Jeep Wranglers in the last 5 years. I really like my new truck other than I have already made 6 this will be my 7th trip to the dealership in hopes to get it fixed. If things dont turn around and the truck doesnt get fixed it looks like Ill be spending my money on Ford trucks instead. I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with Chrysler care, now that I am in this crappy situation trying to get my vehicle repair. I guess when they say Ram trucks are the longest lasting trucks on the road, it is because they spend most of their time in the shop rather than the road like it should.

2009 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually: Front axle u-joints went out at 46000 miles. The vehicle is for highway use only, and its well-maintained. I believed this should not have been replaced until 100,000 miles. I have bought 5 new pick-ups in the last 10 years and will now start looking at other companies for a new pick-up due to this not being covered by Dodge. People at the dealership did not care.

We have 2 such pickups at this household and have exact same complaints. We paid over $1100.00 for a GPS/Uconnect system in these vehicles both of which are almost totally worthless. Both of these vehicles are equipped to tow Trailers and both are used to tow Rv Travel Trailers. This crappy GPS sends you on wild goose chases, back roads etc. Its not designed to be used in a tow vehicle at all but there it is and no one wants to step up to the plate and make even a small effort to fix the situation. The dealer says its a product installed at the factory which is not made by Chrysler. I say Chrysler installed it. Its their responsibility to stand behind it and make it work as its advertised to do.I recently went to Canada and it actually showed me driving through fields where no roads exist and the Rt 1 highway I was on has been there over 7 years. Driving south through Maine on Interstate 95, my destination was KOA Campground in Freeport. It told me to exit 95 43 miles before the campground which I done towing a 30-foot trailer. It then proceeded to take me on 5 different country 2 lane roads only to cross 95 two exits below where it told me to exit.Next issue, WiFi. A monthly fee of 34.99 is supposed to give WiFi service up to 150 feet from vehicle. Well that 150 feet is more truthfully 20 feet MAX and the service is so slow. The accessory timer built in the RAM (15 to 20) Minutes shuts power off before you can get connected to a website. This family actually likes both of these vehicles but the High Dollar accessories suck. We will not be buying another RAM Product Simply because of service from Chrysler sucks. The Dealer has tried a lot of things to help but I see it as their hands are tied from no support as Paul Harvey said, PAGE 2.

My experience terrible. Brought my new 2017 Ram 1500 in for wind noise issue coming in the doors. First dealer said it was my vent visors, still the same after they were removed. They had the truck for 5 days, said it was fixed and ready for pick up. So I took truck for ride, same issue as when it went in. Then the manager said he brought three trucks out and they all have the same wind noise. I told him then they should tell the buyer before they spend 60.000 for a truck that theyre buying a truck that is not very well sealed. Not impressed because I just traded in my 2013 with no wind noise whatsoever with 160.000 kms on it. Nobody wants to help. RAM JUNK, POOR QUALITY VEHICLE. Bumper to bumper warranty ya right. They write reviews that they are as quiet as a luxury car. Thats false advertisement.

I bought a 2015 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel back in April of 2015 from Rydell Dodge San Fernando Ca., on October 31th, 2015. I took the truck to Rydells Dodge of San Fernando for service (maintenance). After they were done, the service advisor told me did you do something to the coolant fluid? I said no, why? He replied because is a different color, is black and normally it looks green or pink. I said do you need to look into it? Is it safe to drive? He replied is ok, just make an appointment whenever you have time and bring it back.Drove home and curiosity got to me, popped the hood and surprise, it was not a different color only, there was oil in the coolant reservoir tank. Now, Im not a mechanic but a simple dipping my finger into the coolant showed me that it was oil, lots of it. Took it to a closer dealership Hunter Dodge of Lancaster Ca. As soon as their mechanic popped the hood and saw the coolant reservoir tank he declared it not safe to drive. Now, it has been in there ever since and today is Dec. 10th and still no truck back.

Day four, informs me that its the transmission pump. Its shot. In seven months? Ive been seeing a lot of transmission complaints about dodges. Makes one wonder.

2020 Ram Longhorn seats are uncomfortable and painful. Beautiful truck however, it is undriveable due to the extremely poor seat design. The contour of the seat design hurts the legs and hips and was not thought out whatsoever, which destroys what would be a great truck. It is important to design a seat correctly to make your product driveable, what a complete disappointment and it is unfathomable how this could possibly pass testing. Ram needs to step up and rectify this issue immediately.

Ive never had to do anything to it besides routine maintenance and suspension of course. And bought the 06 with 90,000 miles. Now has 127,000 and still no problems. I take great care of mine and never hard on them. I have quite a bit of friends who drives Rams and none of them has trouble really. So I dont know why so many people has problems with them. The tow company got the wrecker in my neighbors yard and she charged me $400 to have the yard fixed. Then on top of that, they did not take my truck where it was supposed to go (to the dealership). Not only am I upset with the tow company, but with Chrysler. If this problem is not fixed, I am taking the the truck back to the dealer. I am going to leave it and get a Chevy truck. I expect this be taken care of and give back the money I have already spent. I will not go back to Dodge Chrysler.

In late June my vehicle was in a car accident. The vehicle went in to our local Auto Nation Collision Center for repair in Winter Garden, Fl. Unfortunately they have not been able to complete my repair due to the extreme back order on the part. I own a 2007 Dodge Ram Laramie and the clockspring has been on back order since at least July. Chrysler has only been able to give me a release date they acquired from my repair shop. I called them to submit a complaint and their method of verifying the information was calling my repair shop. I felt that by calling the direct manufacturer Mopar Chrysler they would provide me with a solution. Instead they cannot confirm when parts are going to be available since there are so many request ahead of me, 186 to be exact. They further explained there could be a wait for over 18 months. Until then I have no vehicle, and it is my burden to carry because there was a repair needed where a part is not available. I asked for rental car options and they declined any type of remediation. I understand that we are responsible for repairs as a consumer, but when there is not even an option to complete a repair what am I left to do? Its been 6 months, and now I am definitely out of patience. I am extremely disappointed in Chrysler Ram at this time. I have been a loyal customer with 4 vehicles purchased from the brand in the past 10 years. Not what I expected from a national US automotive company.

2008 Dodge Ram 3500 with a severe front-end wobble. I purchased this vehicle used from a Chevy dealership with 46000 miles on it. At 50000 miles I had a violent wobble that started at the right side of the vehicle, spreading to the left, then moved to the back of vehicle. This wobble shook all in the cab of the truck. I returned the vehicle to the dealership where it was purchased in April 2011. There was no problem found with the front of the vehicle, so the dealership contacted a local Chrysler dealership that had no knowledge of known front end problems but suggested it could be caused by a worn tire. This dealer rotated the tires, balanced, and did a front-end alignment, which was covered by an extended warranty I had purchased; yet no failed components were found. This death wobble (as shown on the net) continued and at the present time it is at a Chrysler dealership. I have been contacted by the business stating they found no failed components, so the insurance will not cover any repairs; but the dealership feels it is the steering box linkage, which can be replaced at one thousand dollars (my cost) without a guarantee that it will fix the problem. Chrysler has known about the problem for years and has not come up with a solution to a poor design and will not assist in any repairs. The problem is covered in issue #74 of the TDR (Turbo Diesel Resource) where it talks about possible repairs and after-market business, such a Genos Garage, where they are marketing a BD steering box stabilizer which they state “will eliminate the wobble.” I checked with the NTSB for complaints, only to be advised there have been no deaths reported caused by this wobble. I want consumers to use caution when purchasing a used vehicle 2500 or 3500 Dodge Ram, but I also know that all vehicles does not have the problem or just not reported.

Purchased vehicle at dealership, good mileage, good condition in 11/2011 for $32,000+. We have always provided good maintenance to all of our vehicles. In 01/2015 due to an engine warning light, vehicle taken to dealership immediately. Thereafter, vehicle repeatedly taken for same problem. 3 months later and without a vehicle were told manufacturer was involved to solve the problem. Few weeks later case manager indicated unable to correct mechanical problem and stated as matter of fact, the vehicle was already old. We have vehicles older and still running good. How is it possible that the manufacturer is unable to provide technical assistance to their own dealership. Every time the dealership would call us to pick up the truck, we paid the bill and within 24 hours and on occasion, we could not even drive the vehicle out. After going back and forth, putting a lot of personal time to it, we sent a letter explaining our frustration, the poor customer care response, asking for a refund due to their lack of resolving the problems and finally sent a letter to their office in Auburn Hills, MI. We finally got a response on 03/2016 stating After thoroughly reviewing your request and our files on this matter, we respectfully concur with our previous decision. I am not sure which decision they are referring to. Someone within the manufacturer technical assistance failed to solve our problem. If they cannot, who else can? We feel we should be paid for a product Chrysler Dodge Ram could not fix. My hard earned money cannot be a loss. I sincerely feel victimized by big corporate.

They said my aftermarket subwoofer would have to be removed to work on the climate control. I purchased a new 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab as I needed a bigger cabin for the family. I traded in my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab (which also had this issue and I purchased new). With the truck only being only 5 months old from delivery and with it only having a few over 6,000 miles I noticed that the back seat area of the truck was soaked and water logged. After inspection I realized that the truck was leaking water into the cabin from the outside along with evidence of rusting in the area along with other metal parts inside the cabin of the truck not adjacent to that area.I reported it to Ram customer service in Twitter as well as to the dealer. Their response was to bring the vehicle back next Monday when the water leak guy would be there... (This was a Wednesday.) I was also told that this was only a minor inconvenience and not a big deal as well as I was advised to turn the heater on in the vehicle and let it run under the sun. On Friday I decided I was not going to wait until Friday and I brought the truck to the dealer. The service agent essentially told me they would do a clean up, let it dry, fix the leak and get it back to me in no time! I did not accept this and I escalated to Ram customer service and was took that they would be replacing the headliner, the backseat, the carpet, underlining and all rusted parts!I received my truck today (25 days after it was dropped off at the dealer) and the dealer told me the back window had been re-sealed as this was leaky, the third tail light had been rescaled as this was also leaky, that a new seat had been installed, a new headliner has been installed, the carpeting had been replaced and all rusted parts had been replaced. They said they inspected it and it looked good! They also delivered the truck to me filthy as it could be (outside) - spider webs and grime everywhere.I arrived home and inspected the vehicle closer, the back seat was not replaced (although they said so and the paperwork they gave says so, there is wear and tear on the truck from the car seat latches which were there before I brought the truck in and there is still rust on the frame of the seat). There is rust in many places in the truck (caused by evaporation and condensation taking place inside the truck since the truck left the manufacturing line). So I cannot trust that anything else they have said and have formally communicated on paper is true... I have continuously asked Ram customer service to repurchase or replace the vehicle because it is compromised. I bought a defective vehicle for the second time. I have been deceived and lied to and I am still stuck in a truck which was damaged and defective at the time of purchase unbeknownst to me.

I have been a Mopar fan for a long time (that is all that I own). I needed new brakes on the front end of my 2007 Ram 1500, 4x4 four door pick-up ( the originals finally wore out). I usually do all of my own maintenance work on my vehicles, so I purchased new rotors, brake pads and small parts kit at my local parts supplier. Once I got into the job, I discovered that my new pads were much larger than the ones on my truck. Thinking that the counter man had made a mistake, I checked online to see what the correct part number was. The counter man had given me the correct part, apparently the factory had installed the brakes for a two door truck on my four door truck. These brake pads are significantly smaller than what should have been installed. I feel, that as a result, my safety has been compromised. My truck is equipped with a hemi which has had several power adders installed, and I occasionally tow a trailer with it. With these smaller brakes, I no longer feel as safe as I did, I wonder how many times in the past my brakes were ready to fade, and I was unaware. I am just reporting this to alert other owners to be aware that they might have the same condition as me. I feel that Chrysler did me a disservice and showed a certain lack of regard for my safety, and the safety of those that I share the road with. I am now in the process of researching which parts are the correct parts for my truck so that I may replace them for my peace of mind. The truck is my baby, so I wont consider getting rid of it. I still like Mopar, and their styling, but I am extremely disappointed in them. As of this writing, there have been no consequences, but I will be changing My Front end parts till I can have the bigger safer brakes.

I have been a brand loyalist since 1986. This is my 6th RAM truck. We factory ordered a 2018 2500 HD 6.4 SLT with the options we wanted and needed for towing. Truck was delivered 12/2017. The day after delivery we noticed an abnormal start up noise from the engine compartment. With less than 100 miles we took it into a local dealer for inspection. After 7 inspection, demonstration and repair visits. 21 days in service and 8 months of driving with a monoxide sensor on the dash. FCA determined that the truck exhaust leak could not be fixed. They offered to replace the truck or refund our money. We elected to order an exact replacement truck. Frankly, other than the exhaust leak, this is the best RAM truck we have owned. All other functions, features, performance and comfort are 5 star. We received the replacement truck 1/2019. At 80-100 miles the replacement truck developed the same noise. FCA, Ramcares and our dealer found it hard to believe that one customer could receive 2 factory defects for exhaust leak. We have asked FCA and our dealer to repair the leak. We are not going to order another truck or take our money back. This truck is going to be fixed. At this time we have not received a response to our request for repair. We have done a full investigation of this issue/problem. It is a known problem on some 2500 HD 6.4 trucks. The cause is in part the assembly process and in part the design and parts quality. We have gotten some great intelligent help from MOPAR parts people, RAM techs and the internet. We have decided to order the repair parts and have a qualified outside tech repair the truck properly at our expense. We will address FCA-RAM when the repairs are completed. Dodge-RAM has come a long way in product quality and customer satisfaction over the last 30 years. I believe the companys recent decision to have the head of RAM focus only on the RAM Brand will result in correction of these type of quality problems. However, senior management needs to get out in the field and engage the reputational risk that the brand is experiencing. The vendor parts quality issues and assembly issues can be fixed.

After 3rd time to dealer, they contacted Chrysler and were told this noise was normal. Very annoying noise at 70 mi an hour. Traded in a 2012 Ram, no problem with noise (both trucks are 5.7L, 4x4s). Has anyone had this problem? Help! Annoyed in Chicago.

I own a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500. I was having transmission problems as a result of a recall on solenoid. I had it replaced 4 times. The first three times I was still under 100k miles. I had transmission rebuilt $3700. Service engine light came on again. Brought it to dealer where they replaced solenoid again. Dealer said truck needs new transmission and cost would be $7900. I asked Dodge for assistance covering parts since it was a result of recall. 2015 truck had 100k warranty and 2016 only 60k which is obviously not long enough. Dodge would not offer any assistance at all. The truck engine is not built to last long.

We purchased what was supposed to be a new 2014 Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn
We purchased what was supposed to be a new 2014 Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn Cummins motor crew cab dually. Well in all reality it was not. Had problems with the truck from day 3. Has a terrible lag, vibration, no power, will not hardly pull out of the driveway with a trailer on it. Dealer said, Thats not right. Bring it over. We took it over. They all do that we were told. Then why on the phone was I told there is something wrong. Come to find out the truck had apparently been bought and brought back. It had been worked on several times and was in service in Jan. when we purchased. In Aug. Dodge got involved and things have gone down since brake controller is out, cruise control is out, traction control is out, rear window leaks has a short in it somewhere, tires are wore completely out at 12,000 miles. ABS system works sometimes, exhaust brake works sometimes, uses oil about 1 quart per 1000 miles, fender flares falling off, running board falling apart, seat memory sometimes works, coolant light comes on, motor sounds like its going to blow, has a miss. Radio is going out map, light going out, not the bulb either, the map light itself. There are many more things going on. Dodge agreed to put us in another one but has to be of equal or less value so buyer beware. Do not buy a Dodge. We have talked to a lot of people that just give up and trade them off.

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram truck. I purchased an extended warranty to 100,000 miles. At 95,000 miles, I took the truck in complaining it would not go backwards when in reverse. They talked me into servicing the transmission and said it was fine. At 102,103 miles the reverse clutches in the transmission fell apart and caused the transmission to go out. I thought Dodge would back their product but they said, sorry, the warranty had expired. I really thought this was supposed to be a Ram Tough Dodge Truck but found out otherwise. I had to spend $4,600 to get the truck fixed.

Bought an 05 Ram 1500 Daytona new in 05. Spent months in shop trying to fix pulling issues and loud pop in front suspension after being just weeks old. Final fixed. Now in 2015 I have had 4 sets of sway bar end links installed, new ball joints, control arm parts, tie rod ends, etc. THE TRUCK HAS ONLY 47,000 miles, the entire front suspension was shot at 38,000 miles. This is a 2-wheel drive, never wrecked, well-cared for California truck. Dodge claims no recalls of problem on this model or year. Dodge seems to play dumb on issues that have been present since purchase. Now for the 2015 (wife insisted on another Dodge) this is a very expensive fully loaded 4x4. All the bells and whistles (her truck) bought on a Friday. On Sunday noticed a 3x1 section of paint on door edge peeling. Returned to dealer and was told I had damaged the paint. Spent months working with Dodge corp. trying to get fixed. Finally after being told they would not fix because they deemed it damage not defect I ended up paying $1,100 to have repaired at an auto body shop who took pics, wrote statement that its a defect, sent all to Dodge and was denied again. DODGE WARRANTY IS A JOKE. We will never buy a Chrysler product again.

We purchased a new Dodge Ram 1500, Big Horn Edition, complete towing package/navigation. It has been in the dealer shop, quite a few times, more than any vehicle I have ever owned, navigation issues, tires worn out in 15,000 miles, can’t even roll down our back passenger windows without having your eardrums broken, the noise is horrendous, they say it fine, don’t roll down window. First time we opened rear window on cab, wouldn’t close, got everything in cab wet, they finally replaced cable after the third time at dealer, and I let “Everyone” in the dealership know of my disdain for my new truck. I have ticking issues now in my engine, they say its fine, its not!!! Then they checked my in cab filter during oil change, and they broke my filter box, I found pieces on floor after the oil change, they didn’t tell me, I went right back in with pieces in my hand, and they said, We will have to pull the whole dash out to fix/ replace it! I still am furious about this, I duct taped it all. Paint is so thin, I have chips in paint all over front, and sides!!! I had a 2009 Dodge Ram, with the 360 cu in in it, had 320,000 miles on it, only repair was a intake gasket and transmission valve replaced... NEW Is Not Better... Paid over $55,000 for a piece of junk, will never own another Dodge Ram again, I am done with bad trucks, bad service... Very frustrated.

I purchased a 2016 Ram 2500 6.7 diesel Crew Long Box 4x4 maybe 10 months ago. This week Monday morning I started my truck and check engine light came on so I stopped at my local dealer they plugged it in and couldnt read any codes. They informed me that the soonest they could look at the truck was 10 days away. I asked the service manager if the truck would go into limp mode. He informed me NO. I made an appointment 10 days out. Later that day I drove the truck an hour north and boom. What happens the DEF system starts a count down to 5 mph. So I drive into the nearest RAM dealership. They tell me We have no one that can look at the truck or plug it in. I ask the service writer what am I supposed to do brand new truck 16,000 miles on it less than a year old. I was told if you drive west about an hour you should hit another RAM dealership. They might have someone that can look at it, if not keep driving west and you will hit another dealership they might look at it!! I mean really thats what I was told. Now keep in mind you have a 150 mile range until the truck goes into limp mode and wont go over 5 mph. Its December in Wisconsin and its cold so instead of driving west I decided to head closer to home and I stopped at another RAM dealership and asked them to plug it in to see what was wrong with it. This is the 3rd Dealership I stopped at that day. They also informed me that they didnt have anyone to look at the truck and I would need to warm the truck up and try clearing the code out of it which could buy me a few days. I paid $60,000 for this truck and this is what 3 different dealers tell. Well my truck is at a service shop now not a RAM dealer because this private shop is moving heaven and earth to get it back on the road since no dealership would do anything. The kicker is all over this is under warranty but Im paying out of my pocket because I dont have any other way of getting around without my truck. Ive called Customer Service with RAM 3 times and I keep getting the runaround with no HELP. If people like me stopped buying RAM Trucks dealerships wouldnt be in business. I guess spending $60,0000 few months ago doesnt classify me as a good customer..... Sad part is a traded my Chevy Duramax in on a new Cummins. I guess Im the one that made the mistake. I wonder if GMC customer service would be better after spending $60,000. I keep getting told someone would call me in 24 hours still waiting. Im glad that a 3rd party service center is helping me because if they wouldnt be right now I can tell you some Chevy or GMC dealership would be getting a RAM as a trade in. My faith in RAM is gone and Im out thousands of dollars for parts and missing appointments because my new truck is broke down. Thanks but no thanks.

We took our 2008 truck to the garage to get it fixed, cost us $700.00. Now, they are telling us the tie rod needs to be replaced. The mechanic that my husband talked to said that you now have to replace the whole thing, that they changed it; it is going to cost us around $1,000.00 to get this replaced. We have a family to take care of and thought we were buying something at $500.00 a month that we could depend on. If they changed the part within the last 2 years because of problems, why is the part not a recall? I keep telling my husband I will never and I mean never own another Dodge! This is the second Dodge truck that we have owned since 2005. The first one was a Dodge 2002 and we had nothing but problems with that also. While picking up the 2007 Ram, I found water under the back seats. The sales representative assured me it was due to the cleaning and washing of the truck, and if this was a window leak, the dealer will service it. It rained last night, and I found plenty of water under the seats. Now the dealer sale representative and manager denied seeing and saying that the dealer would be responsible for the leakage. I need the rear window to be repaired; the rain or water is affecting the structural integrity of the car due to corrosion. Needless to say, the mildew and smell inside the car is not acceptable. If I would have been aware of this issue, I would have never bought the truck.

The truck was purchased used from the second owner, so it has some issues. Overall though, it is a good truck. It has not had any major mechanical problems, only minor ones. The truck always runs, is very reliable and dependable. Also, the price was right for what we could afford at the time. It was in good shape for the year. The dash was in one piece, which is unusual for a used truck. Normally, the dashes are cracked and broken from the sun and heat. The title was clear. We ended up making a new friend as well. I like that the truck is blue plus it is a basic model. It has manual locks and windows. It is just a good work truck. However, the heater comes on when you press the brake, so it has to be disabled during the summer. Also, before the brakes get warmed up, be careful and slowly press them or you may end up hitting your head on the steering wheel. Once they warm up, they are like normal brakes though. The windshield needs to be replaced because it is cracked as well.

1997 Dodge Truck - The clear coat has peeled off most of the hood and cab top and is spreading to the front fenders. It cost me almost $1,800.00 to repair the front suspension because there was no fitting on any joints. The fresh air intake allows trash to enter the system, which will build up over a 30 amp resistor and start a fire. It took almost 3 months to get the smoke smell out. In regards to a 2014 Ram 2500 - under 40K miles. I was recently involved in an accident which resulted in the truck rolling over multiple times. The speed of the truck was just over 50mph when it began to flip. At the end, the truck was sitting in the middle of the road on its roof, without a single airbag deployment. Regardless of FCAs comments, I think being the driver, I was in a much better position to dispute the seatbelt slack or tensioner. I wasnt driving leaning over the steering wheel, but somehow, with the seatbelt on, my chest slammed into it. If it did lock at any point, it was well after the point it should have. At the end, I was fully turned sideways in the seat, upside down, with over a foot between myself and the seat. Locking after the slack comes out doesnt constitute it working to me.Public - be aware - FCA has claimed that the vehicle decides when to deploy airbags in a rollover event. (Note: - in their response, they do not specify these tolerance levels of course). Ill attach pictures showing the damage to the outside of the truck, along with the inside showing no airbag deployment. I will also paste FCAs direct comments. Look at the pictures. Imagine yourself or your loved ones in that vehicle. Then read the FCA comments. If after all that, you feel that there still is no need for airbag deployment, then go ahead and buy one. For those that believe they should have deployed - please get the word out.For full disclosure - I did buy another 2500 myself. I was, until I received the FCA email an hour ago, a loyal RAM buyer. I bought the new truck 2 weeks ago with the hopes that FCA would have told me a sensor was bad, wire disconnected, or something that pointed to a failure. I never, in my wildest dreams, would have thought that something as violent as I went thru, did not warrant airbag deployment. (Also, it took about a month before they could get the vehicle inspected and respond back. Every call to them was a standard response - you will hear back from someone in 1-2 business days.) I will be pleading with the dealer to take the truck back. Personally, I could not in good conscience put another person in that vehicle, fully knowing that in the same situation the air bags would not deploy.FCA comments: We have had the opportunity to review the results of our inspection, and must advise you we believe the air bag system operated properly, and as designed in this incident. Your Ram is equipped with a passive safety restraint system that consists of Seat Belt Tensioners (SBT), Side Curtain Air Bags, Side Seat Airbags, and driver and passenger Front Air Bags. The SBTs actuate to remove slack in the seat belts to snug the occupant into the seat at the onset of an accident. The Air Bag Control Module uses a roll rate sensor to determine the severity of a rollover event, and the appropriate response, activate the SBTs alone, or activate the SBTs in conjunction with the appropriate Air Bags. If the SBTs are sufficient to provide protection, then the air bag deployment is not merited. In your accident it was determined that only the seat belt tensioner deployment was necessary.

Brand New Truck with paint issues on the roof, inner door and metal shaving
Brand New Truck with paint issues on the roof, inner door and metal shavings under paint in the bed. After weeks of contacting them, they approved the roof and the bed but they denied the claim for the door even when the area had rust on it and I just own the truck for like two weeks. If your trucks rust in two weeks then is poor materials used on it. Before they approved the truck to get fix, I fix the bed. My guy repair all the paint and metal shavings. I decided to spray a bed liner since it would be the best option to keep the bed in good shape. I sent the receipt and now Dodge Chrysler is giving me a hint that they might denied the claim since I installed a bed liner on top of the repairs. Are you kidding me, you should be praising me since I fix it for way less that was approved initially.Crappy company, and by the way I had a 2007 Ram. I also own a charger and now have this problem on this Ram 2016 Laramie. Is incredible how they are risking a customer for a mere $597. This truck was 50K. Plus Im stuck with this truck with a major problem (roof paint), Dodge who is going to pay me for the value lost for a crappy paint job done by you. Im pretty sure this will come out on my truck report. Also if you have a problem with your dealer, then you are out of luck since they contact the dealer for everything. The dealer that I deal with is Arrigo Dodge in Fort Pierce FL. Good luck if you are in this area. They are as crappy as it gets. My Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 SLT pickup has a severely cracking dashboard, and it has been an obvious manufacturers defect for many years. It is getting to the point where the dash could become dislodged in pieces and either fall into the dashboard area or worse, shatter in sharp pieces in the event of a collision. I called the customer service 800 number and was told that even though I am the original owner of the vehicle, that Dodge would do nothing to make my vehicle safe for me and my kids because there were too many miles on the truck. We installed both a front and rear bumper replacement on a 2016 Dodge Ram. During the process we removed the sensors in the factory bumpers and reinstalled them in the aftermarket bumpers. The sensors failed to come back on so we sent it to the Dodge dealership for re-calibration. They discovered that six of the sensors had failed. The total bill will be just under $1000. How is it that these sensors are so sensitive that they cannot stand such a simple process as removal and re-installation? If these sensors are really this sensitive, they must be a faulty design and should be recalled.

I first had a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Outdoorsman. It ran fine until 2013 when it would suddenly stop while driving and start up again on its own. Not being able to accelerate from an intersection because it decided to stop and restart with a semi-truck coming is a bit scary. After several trips to the dealership where it was bought and no solution, I traded the vehicle in on a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn Diesel. Guess what? This truck does the same thing only more often. Of course, the dealership has no answer to the problem except that I must be driving with my foot on the brake, WRONG. What an experience to be going down the road pulling a racecar trailer and having the truck do its stop and start thing. Intersections are even more exciting. Come on Chrysler, how about getting things right before someone (including me) gets killed. Oh yes, the truck stopped and started 3 times within a 10 mile radius from our home to the local store yesterday. Now I have another piece of junk that I am paying the bank for and do not know how long it will be before it ever gets fixed or completely goes to H---. Since the 2011 had a Hemi and the 2014 has the new diesel engine, think it must be something else besides the engines???

I bought a new Dodge Ram Lodestar edition 4x4, 2012. It has around 6000 miles on it. At 35 mph, I can hear a whistling noise when I let up on the gas (not changing the speed). I can tap the gas pedal and make it sound like a person whistling and I can change the tone also. It has been at the shop for 3 weeks and they came back and said it’s road noise. When I dropped it off, I let a tech go with me on a ride - he could hear it and he did. He said it should not make the noise. Now I have a new truck I cant drive due to the noise it makes

2003 3500 automatic 4x4. The transmission on any giving moment when you put it in Drive will engage third gear only, and at times it works perfect. I have been asked by mechanics to change the neutral safety sensor, speed sensor to no avail. I need a solution quick.

While driving my 3 week old 2015 Ram 1500 the truck computer shifted from drive to park while I was traveling at 40 mph. This sudden shift caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and has scared me enough to never drive the truck again.

2015 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually. I really wanted to love this truck. I was coming from a Ford 6.0 let down, really loved the truck. Had I done a hair more work I would still have the truck. First, the alignment was bad from the day I drove it off the lot. Seemed fine but the front tires were bald, thread showing, by 35K. Replaced 2 front tires and Hogan Tire shop in Purcellville, VA told me they couldnt align the truck because a ball joint was bad. Furious, I took it to the Dodge dealer and they told me joints were all fine and measuring basically new. Oh, BTW, chose your dealer carefully. The dealer in NOVA cant align a big truck like this because his rack is too small, I was still within warranty for this. 10 hours+, not an exaggeration, of my time to determine the truck was fine and still needed an alignment. I use this heavy duty truck everyday and tow more than three times a week. 10 hours of down time kills me. I never aligned it, totally my fault. Truck was pulling like mad to the right. I have a seriously strong left arm from it. I have new tires and feel like I can ignore, 14K only a couple months in busy truck time, I realize the front right is really wearing badly. WTF, truck less than 50K and serious pull to the right and worn tires on the front, rear are still good. Take to local mech and he aligns, tightens it all.Less than a week later I notice the steering wheel is out of alignment. Each day I drive it is a little more out. I am hauling round bales and finally lose my ** with the steering, over 90 out. I take back to my alignment dudes and they say the lock nuts have backed off. Its a lock nut? What? Well Dodge has 2 nuts that are tightened against each other, not a lock nut, and one backed off. They small shop fixed and I trust the fix since we are over 2 weeks and steering has been rockstar since.Other things, I have had a check engine light since the mid 30K range. No ** the manual says the light will probably resolve itself in a few runs and should do that. Sure as ** that was the case. What they didnt say was that the problems were compounding. Truck was great except there were times we backed into the driveway and the exhaust was terrible, in town we had the same thing since we drive windows down a lot. Absolutely intolerable exhaust smell. We are coming from a 2005 Diesel that was pimped and the smell was appropriate.51K, and now I have a DEF malfunction. I drive this truck everyday. Put only the DEF in it from the store and the pretty plastic containers. I only have 125 miles to drive before it ** down? I have done everything right and this is what my over 50k in American dollars gets me? Oh, and the exhaust warranty is very specific. Dont think you get 8/80K, there are terms.

I cant move my steering column away from my knees! I was adjusting it and went to low apparently and now it will not come up! Additionally, the cruise control only works half the time and now Ive read that there is a recall on the Dodge Ram Hemi 2014-2016 for the airbags in this steering wheel. I seriously feel unsafe in this vehicle. Traded in a 2014 Chevy Silverado because we wanted a lower monthly payment and ended up only getting a $55 per month break and all these problems. I knew better than to get a Dodge. For as expensive as this vehicle is, its not worth more than my life.

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4. This truck has had problems hanging in third gear. Went back to dealer for service, no codes and they say can not duplicate problem. Next had problem with it not starting, turn key and just like the battery was dead. After 7-9 times it finally starts. While driving down interstate truck went into neutral by itself, went back to the dealer BOB ALLAN MOTOR MALL, can not duplicate problem. Now the trucks lights go out while driving complete danger to me and whoever I meet on the road. Again same deal, can not duplicate. Contacted Ram customer service. They offered me a trade in assistance program which basically is a slap in the face as anyone who has ever purchased a new truck or car knows inside of two months you are upside down when trying to trade back to the dealer. These people have taught me one thing for sure. Do not buy RAM TRUCKS. THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEM ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY. THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS.

Purchased 2019 RAM 3500 DRW Limited HD High Output Cummins with Aisin Transmission in April 2019 - one of the first deliveries of said truck. In August 2019 (approx 16k miles) Left Front Speed Sensor was replaced as it was throwing error messages - FCW system unavailable, service immediately; 4wd Temporarily unavailable, service immediately; Electronic Stabilization Control unavailable, service required; Trailer brake system service required; ABS service required.2 weeks later, same error messages, and ABS module was replaced. 2 weeks later, same error messages, dealership cleared codes and could not replicate. Went on 1600+ mile road trip. Returned home, 13 days after last visit to dealership, same error messages. As of today, dealership says cannot replicate - currently truck is on day 7 at dealership for 4th visit. Chrysler says maybe software update needed. ANYONE out there with challenges on 2019 RAM HDs? IMO, this is unacceptable. I just want it fixed.

My Ram stopped in the middle of road 3 times now. First time I took it to the dealer they replaced a cable. Second time they replaced the mpc because the water went in it. It has been raining but I cant even take it to a car wash. And now the third, the engine cut off. The dealer is telling me its the alternator and its not covered under warranty because it was muddy. The cost is approx $2000. Let me just say that when I bought the Ram for work, it was to be able to travel in a construction site. Even they advertise it going in mud, mountains etc. I am very disappointed of this truck. Seems that I wont be able to take to work anymore and leave it in the parking at home since it wont survive mud. Never going to buy a Dodge truck ever again. The 60,000$ truck is not made for construction people.

I have had problem with this vehicle ever since Ive owned it! It has 52,000 original miles on. The engine oil pan is rotted, heat shields rotted and rubbing on the flywheel, electrical system replaced, rotted body no matter how many times it was repaired! Dodge/C has done nothing to help me But take my money. Purchased extended warranty, nothing covered - fed up! Stopped warranty, after multiple items were being denied, never was treated this way. Now starter 426.00 to replace, 965.00 for engine oil pan replacement, rotted heat shields on motor, trans heat shield rubbing. Dodge refuses to do anything but charge me up the you know what. I bought 4 vehicles from them and they never did one warranty or recall. Totally refused, waited almost 1 year on my jeep recall. Why dont you guys honor your vehicles? Im a disabled emergency worker who you keep taking advantage of!! Fix it!!
