The 2025 Mercedes-Benz S-Class continues to define what a full-size luxury sedan should be, blending timeless elegance, cutting-edge technology, and effortless performance. As the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz lineup, the S-Class remains the standard by which all other luxury sedans are measured. For 2025, it carries forward with refined powertrains, enhanced driver-assistance systems, and an interior that feels more like a first-class lounge than a car cabin.

Visually, the S-Class retains the sleek, minimalist design language introduced with its latest generation. The long hood, flowing shoulder lines, and smooth contours emphasize sophistication over aggression. The signature grille sits proudly up front, flanked by Digital Light LED headlamps that project crisp illumination and can adapt dynamically to traffic and road conditions. The sculpted rear end, chrome trim, and flush door handles contribute to an understated yet commanding presence. The overall silhouette communicates quiet authority, embodying the idea that true luxury doesn’t need to shout.

Under the hood, the 2025 S-Class offers a range of powertrains designed to balance performance, refinement, and efficiency. The lineup starts with the S 500 4MATIC, powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine enhanced with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This setup produces 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, delivering smooth, confident acceleration through Mercedes’ nine-speed automatic transmission. The integrated starter-generator provides an extra boost of torque when needed and supports near-seamless engine restarts for improved efficiency.

For those seeking more power, the S 580 4MATIC features a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, also assisted by a mild-hybrid system. This engine generates 496 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, propelling the large sedan from 0 to 100 km/h (0–62 mph) in just over four seconds. Despite its performance, the V8 remains whisper-quiet at cruising speeds, emphasizing comfort and composure. Both variants employ Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system for maximum traction and stability in all weather conditions.

Ride quality remains the S-Class’s most defining attribute. The AIRMATIC air suspension comes standard, continuously adjusting damping to absorb imperfections in the road. Optional E-Active Body Control further enhances comfort by scanning the road ahead and counteracting body roll, pitch, and dive before they happen. The result is an uncanny smoothness that makes passengers feel as though they are gliding rather than driving. Rear-axle steering also improves agility at low speeds and stability at high speeds, making the large sedan surprisingly maneuverable.

Inside, the S-Class continues to set the benchmark for automotive interiors. Every surface, stitch, and material reflects obsessive attention to detail. The cabin design emphasizes horizontal lines and soft curves, creating an atmosphere of calm and spaciousness. Premium leather upholstery, open-pore wood trim, and metal accents blend traditional craftsmanship with modern luxury. The seats are masterpieces in themselves—heated, ventilated, and available with massage functions that can simulate hot stone therapy or deep-tissue relief. In the rear, executive seating packages offer fully reclining chairs with calf rests, individual climate zones, and entertainment displays, transforming the back seat into a mobile sanctuary.

Technology is deeply integrated into the S-Class experience. The centerpiece of the cabin is the massive 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen that controls the latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system. This system features improved voice recognition, augmented-reality navigation, and personalized profiles that adapt to each driver’s preferences. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster provides crisp, customizable displays, while a 3D mode creates depth perception for critical information. An optional head-up display projects key data directly onto the windshield, enhancing safety and convenience.

For audiophiles, the available Burmester 4D surround sound system transforms the interior into a concert hall. Speakers are integrated into the seats and roof lining, delivering immersive sound that adjusts automatically to speed and driving conditions. Ambient lighting, configurable in up to 64 colors, interacts with driving modes, climate control, and even voice commands, turning the cabin into a living, responsive environment.

Rear passengers enjoy perhaps the greatest benefits. The extended-wheelbase versions offer exceptional legroom, with the optional Executive Rear Package adding features such as folding tables, heated armrests, and a rear MBUX tablet that controls media, climate, and seat functions. Mercedes designed the S-Class to prioritize serenity, with acoustic glass, dense insulation, and active noise cancellation ensuring near-total silence inside, even at highway speeds.

Safety and driver assistance remain at the heart of the S-Class philosophy. The 2025 model includes one of the most advanced suites in the industry, combining radar, camera, and ultrasonic sensors to monitor the environment in all directions. Standard systems include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, active steering assist, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking. The optional Driver Assistance Package adds Level 2 semi-autonomous driving features, allowing the car to maintain speed, lane position, and safe distances in certain conditions. The PRE-SAFE system prepares the cabin for potential impacts by tightening seatbelts, adjusting headrests, and even raising the suspension to protect passengers in side collisions.

Performance and luxury coexist seamlessly in the S-Class. Acceleration is effortless, power delivery is linear, and every control feels perfectly weighted. The steering is light but precise, and the brakes inspire confidence with smooth modulation. Despite its size, the S-Class feels agile, composed, and always in control. The hybrid-assist systems also contribute to fuel efficiency, reducing consumption without compromising performance.

The exterior design may prioritize elegance, but the S-Class remains technologically ahead of its peers. Features such as Digital Light headlights can project symbols onto the road, such as lane guidance or hazard alerts, while the active chassis system predicts and reacts to road conditions in milliseconds. Over-the-air updates ensure that software remains current, continually enhancing vehicle capabilities and user experience.

The 2025 S-Class also reflects Mercedes’ gradual shift toward electrification. While the fully electric EQS represents the brand’s all-electric flagship, the S-Class Hybrid variant continues to serve drivers who value traditional craftsmanship combined with advanced hybrid technology. This dual approach allows Mercedes to satisfy both purists and innovators within its customer base.

Pricing for the 2025 S-Class starts around the mid-$120,000 range for the S 500 4MATIC and rises substantially with higher trims and customizations. As always, Mercedes-Benz offers a wide selection of bespoke options—from exclusive interior materials to advanced tech packages—that allow buyers to tailor their vehicles precisely to their tastes.

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz S-Class remains the epitome of what a luxury sedan should be: quiet, intelligent, and exquisitely refined. It offers the rare ability to isolate its occupants from the chaos of the outside world while connecting them to the very latest in comfort and technology. In an era increasingly defined by SUVs and electric vehicles, the S-Class stands as a statement of enduring automotive excellence—a timeless symbol of sophistication, power, and innovation that continues to lead the luxury world forward.

2014 Mercedes S550 4Matic - Humming noise between 50-60 MPH. Ray Catena of Edison, NJ kept my car for 4 days trying to figure out what the issue is. They said they contacted Mercedes and said Mercedes is aware of this issue. I will be contacted when there is a fix. I said can you put a date on the fix, they said NO. What am I suppose to wait 5 years for a fix? Dealer said to contact Mercedes customer service and be a Pain in the butt and see if they will declare my car as a lemon - well that didnt work. Mercedes contacted dealer and dealer said, they have duplicated this same issue in several other S550 and that it is a part of 4Matic system. Bottom line: Getting rid of Mercedes and never buying it AGAIN in my life. Stay away from THIS BRAND.

Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 2017 - My passenger seat doesnt move forward properly. When I went to the dealership they said the screw is in the motor is not good and it doesnt cover under the warranty. I paid extra for the extended warranty. The dealership told me its the external problem so they wont cover for the warranty. I think they dont want to cover the warranty so I pay from my pocket. The motor cost with labor is 2100.00. I will recommend not to buy Mercedes-Benz and if you buy please check the warranty issue as the company wont pay for it.

2016 c300 So I went in for my scheduled service. Guy tells me I need 4 tires which I already knew. I said to him never in my life did I need tires after 22 months. He comes back with a price of 1700$ for 4 tires. I’m walking around dealership talking to random people and technicians who also said they have a problem with tires. One guy had to change them twice in two years. A few technicians also told me there’s a problem with the tires but wouldn’t say it out loud. How many other Benz owners have had this issue with their tires.

I bought a new Mercedes-Benz C 220 on 22-09-2015 but, unfortunately, the car after reaching my home garage which is 300 kms from Dealer Showroom is not able to drive through. Its front doors are noisy from day one & the wind screen is always full with moisture thus reducing the day/night visibility to 30%-40%. After continues complain I have received only mail & call but no technician has turned up till now. Also the website sources show that the particular VIN (**) belongs to C220 model & year of manufacture 2006. I am surprised whether I had purchased a new car or a used car? It seems to ask for a replacement.

To all Mercedes owners, please note you cannot have a drink in your cup holder in your car. Because god forbid, if it spills over, it can disable your car and bring it to dangerous halt. My son was setting the drink back in the holder when the lid pupped off and the water spilled over the shift lever; and moments later, the car suddenly came to a halt with no warning. Luckily, there was no one near on the road; otherwise, there would have been an accident for sure. So, I did some research on line and found out I am not alone. This happens with all Mercedes models and it is an expensive fix. I called the Mercedes customer complaint line. I told them what happened. They said, “Take your car to an authorized dealer for diagnosis and will get back to you,” even though the person speaking to me was clearly aware of this problem since she mentioned it was an approximately $1,200.00 repair. I had the car towed to the dealer, and the technician called me back and said, “We have your car and will get back to you with an estimate.” I said Mercedes should take care of the repairs. Minutes later, another person called me back from the dealer and said he was the manager; that he was told I needed to speak to him. Anyway, I explained to him my concerns and told him that Mercedes should make the repairs and fix the flaw at no charge. Today, I got a call from the complaint department basically saying they are not responsible, and they will not help with the situation. I looked on the internet and know there are many people with the same problem, and I am determined to get everyone on board to fight this big corporation for taking our lives for granted for extra profit.

I have driven Mercedes for the past 19 years. In those 19 years I have owned 6 Mercedes. Never and I mean Never have I ever had so much problems with a car. I never leased a car, I always bought it, but this time I have a lease and this car has given me problems from day one. I have complained to no avail; they try to tellme that it is normal for the car to drive the way it does. Well guess what if that is true then I will never drive another MB again. I would rather drive a Hyundai because this car gets me car sick to drive it and not only that I am afraid to drive because I might get into a car crash because of the way it drives. They say that the turbo is making it stop and go and shake. We have a brand new Porsche and it does not do what this car does. When I am at a red light and the light turns green the car stalls. I have taken it back several times. I am tired and I believe that I should just go through the Lemon Law because no one seems to want to help. Mercedes calls me every time after I pick up my car to ask me how my experience was and I tell them but all they do is nothing except say oh Im so sorry. I am done with MB.

The Mercedes GLC 300 4matic has more luxury features than any other vehicle
The Mercedes GLC 300 4matic has more luxury features than any other vehicle I researched and test drove. The surround cameras make it easy to park. It has all surround cameras, heated seats, and a comfortable ride that is adjustable to a more sporty mode. I like the seats better than the stiff seats of other makes. The auto hold feature makes it easy to brake and not have to worry about the vehicle moving. The automatic wipers make it easier to drive without having to worry about manually operating them. However, I would like to have air conditioned seats. I would also like for it to have a heated steering wheel since my hands are cold often. Also, Im worried about not having a spare tire even though it has run flat tires. Run flat tires tend to last much less longer than normal tires.

I have purchased a 2006 Mercedes-Benz ML350. I have been a Mercedes owner for over 30 years and bought this ML350 to last me for the rest of my life, with the expectations of receiving quality and service.Instead, with 37,000 miles, I have incurred thousands of dollars in repaired services. This could not possibly be represented as the German engineering. I feel that as a consumer, a victim of total misrepresentation.I would expect Mercedes-Benz to stand by their product. At this point, I believe getting rid of this vehicle and purchasing, and finding myself a more reliable and upstanding company to buy myself a new car from.

We purchased a Mercedes E350 in 2012. We already replaced 3 tires. Each one costs us $350. We owned more than 20 different cars in our family for all these years and none had this problem. After some web search, we found out the Low Profile Tire which are used on Mercedes E350, will not survive a deep pothole or a curb touch. That is why they have so-called Tire and Wheel insurance. When we purchased the car (new), the sales person did ask us (casually) whether we want to purchase this insurance. He did not bother to explain the significance of the problem. Now they said since we turned it down, they cannot do anything about it. Also there is no way that one can replace the Low Profile Tires with the Regular Tires. We are stuck with this problem. NJ is known to have many potholes on the streets.

I bought a new E550. MB promises that their mbrace plan is included in the price of a new vehicle for the first 6 months. Yet, for activation, they insist on a credit card number. When challenged why they need a credit card to activate something that was included in the price of the vehicle, they say its their policy and that after five months, I would have the option of not continuing with it. I find this reverse marketing unacceptable - that is, you have bought something unless you cancel it in time. A credit card is not a legal requirement in the US. I could have chosen to pay through a bank account etc. MBUSA talks nonsense about their interest in my well-being with mbrace to which I say, activate what I have paid for without demanding a credit card number and make mbrace free for the life of ownership. Obviously, mbrace is more interested in marketing and receipts than my well-being.

I took three vacations in this rig and had DEF warning problems two of the trips. I have owned it 6 weeks and have 5,000 miles on it. 1st was Def contamination and then going into countdown mode. 2nd trip and Low Def warning. Went into countdown and quit. Road service left me on the highway for 4 hrs in 90* heat. I had to call a wrecker myself. Driver told me he was called 3 hrs ago and they did not know what the interstate even was, and they would not pay his price. I am sitting in a hotel in Ohio waiting on the dealer to give me an answer or I start driving a Enterprise rental the 1400 miles back home. No offer of a loaner from anyone. I racked up $3,000 in expenses here. MB says to save the receipts to present to a board that decides in 30 days if they qualify. This is a LEMON. I want MB to buy it back. If not, I start getting rid of the 6 MB we already own.

Today I was asked for the second key as they suspect something wrong with the key and ignition. No courtesy car or compensation for travel was offered. I had problem with rear camera on model S550 year 2016 from the beginning. Took it multiple times to Benz dealership and they failed to fix it. Finally I stop the lease payments and took the car back to the dealership, after several weeks the dealership called me and said Benz decided to ground the vehicle and return it to their inventory. I got my tags and returned them to MVA, now Benz is denying the facts and is asking me to continue to pay the lease until the vehicle is fixed and they admitted that they have no fix for it. Their service and customer support is so bad, I hope government look into their unfair practices. Any suggestions will be helpful. They are awful and ignorant.

My thoughts about Mercedes Benz Financial and Customer Care Im completely unhappy, disenchanted and disappointed with Mercedes Benz Financial and Mercedes Benz Customer Care. To give you a timeline of events I leased a brand new AMG C 43 2019 MB on February 9th 2019 and exactly 3 days later the engine light went on and as of today February 26th the Mercedes Benz mechanics have yet been able to remove the engine light. Hence as of today my out pocket costs have been over 5,000 not including the ceramic tints I put on the new car all for nothing. At this point I have filed a grievance with Mercedes Benz Customer service and they have commenced the Buy Back Process which they say takes 24 hour period before someone can reach out to me. That was 4 days ago and still no call or email from someone from Mercedes Benz to address my concerns absolutely ridiculous. All the while all I have heard in regards to customer service is, Mr. ** you have to understand we didnt manufacturer the car, you signed a contract. Excuse me, yes I did sign a lease agreement but at this point services have not been rendered and in order to have an agreement and or contract both parties should act professionally and with high business standards and morals. Mercedes Benz USA should own this and be accountable for me being inconvenienced. It is now February 28th and still no car, and not one senior level executive has reached to me to make this right. Throughout this process the lack of responsiveness and customer service mentality as been lacking and definitely in question. Ultimately the sad part is that I still dont have a brand new car and what was supposed to be a proud day in my life has turned out to be a nightmare. E. **. Not sure at this point if I should cut my losses and to Audi. My feeling that I have lost faith in the Mercedes Benz brand. It would have been nice if a a senior executive would have had the decency to call me personally and claim ownership regarding my experience with MB Financial as well as customer care.

This is a serious safety issue. Our car suddenly stalls [three times] while driving. The reason was a failing [failed] crank sensor. Mercedes never informed owners of this serious safety issue. Our vehicle was past their factory warranty, therefore we had to pay $504 due to the this problem. Mercedes Headquarters in New Jersey refused all or any compensation. Safety issues do not end because the factory warranty expired. Maybe they should experience the stress and helpless feeling of driving 65 miles an hour and have the engine shut off!

Buyers beware! You may run into the same problems that I have with a 2013 E-Class Sedan. The car (VIN=**) was delivered on 31 Dec 2012 and shortly thereafter developed a problem with the SmartKey. Take my word for it smart this key aint. It works best when at the dealer, when I first reported that problem with the unreliability the reaction was. This guy is a nut. Always very politely but the message was clear. Fortunately the system fail during a non-related service visit at the dealer. That did initiate some more investigation, after several visits to replace door handles, antennas, etc. the key not detected message, failure to lock or unlock still exists. The final straw was when it was determined that the problem was the clothes I wear. The recommended fix was to use a leather cover over the SmartKey. That failed to make any difference so I have given up and decided to live with the issue until the warranty expires. At that time I decided that the only reason buying a Mercedes could be justified is to impress your neighbors. Because I could care less what my neighbors think. Once this car is traded it will be replaced with ANYTHING but a Mercedes. The other issue is the GPS that must have been designed by a high school student. To update to the latest maps you have to wait until the maps for your car are released. It is astoundingly idiotic that the maps for every year, body style and class are different. Not only that for less than half of the update cost you can buy a Garmin that includes the GPS unit and lifetime maps that have markedly superior performance. So much for German engineering. Having said that, the car is a pleasure to drive on the highway, the roadability and comfort can not be criticized.

The quality of their cars a lower than HONDA. You pay all this money and get nothing. The extended warranty is a hoax. How do you have an extended warranty that ends and you havent used your original warranty. Then there is no warranty. Any car you buy now gives more than Mercedes. Repair service center agent called me couple of times and told me that they are still waiting part from Germany which is acceptable. And later they called me back and they dont have any detail information where the part is. No tracking number at all. This is luxury brand, isnt it? How come they dont have any information. Not even ETA. Im still paying my bill and driving a C300. Loaner car is not an issue at all. I can call them to change it. My daughter bought a Mercedes Benz four years ago and I co-signed on it. I have never made a payment on it and she has paid every month. Last winter when they were having some financial problems, she was late with a payment. From that point on every month that she is one minute late with her payment, although still in the 15 day grace period, we get harassment calls. They start at 8:00 in the morning and again at dinner time. This month, she made a payment on the 7th and they are still calling every day, twice a day to both of us and it is the 28th. What the hell is the matter with you people? Financial Services lost a payment in May and it took them four months to find it. In the meantime, they are calling every day for that May payment that they already had. I have never seen such Mafia techniques in any company in all my 69 years not to mention a poorly run financial department that cannot keep track of the payments that are made and lose some of them and then start harassing customers for their own mistakes. I would never buy a Mercedes Benz product just based on your financial services harassment tactics. There is no reason for this kind of treatment. I intend to contact every consumer complaint organization I can find and send them a copy of this letter online, offline, by mail, and any other way possible.

I have been very impressed by its brand name because it has many features that make it unique and have unique features that make it a leader. And the most beautiful is that it is a famous brand and loved by many people. What makes me choose his/her brand among others is its many advantages including speed, internal features, ease of use, and abundance of refrigeration, making it easy, and available. What I do not like about the Taraz and often bothers me is the lack of the characteristics of the symmetry of the flash and the frequency of the circulation of many people and more than the same quantity of its price in the market.

Mr. Justine said he will find out what is going on with my car and he promised he will call me back with 24-48 hours. Since that day, I didnt get any answer from him due to holidays and time difference. When I bought this car, I was looking for elegance, trusted and safe. Customer Service. Last week, Our family was traveling to Death Valley National Park from Phoenix for a get together party. We started around 12.00 noon @ Friday from Phoenix and planned to reach destination by 6.30 pm with several breaks in our Journey. When we are on I-93 and close to Mile Mark 64, Our Mercedes E 300 car had flat (tire blow out though it has run flats on it) around 4.30 pm, which is around 180 miles away from Phoenix and another 120 miles to Vegas. We pulled over the car and realized our run flats were of no use anymore. We tried to move our car further down the roadside aisle but the car doesn’t move and shows the indicator as if its disabled. We called immediately to Mercedes Benz SOS call (A red button on top of our head in Mercedes Benz), They received our call and politely directed us on suggestions to press another wrench button to reach roadside assistance. We followed their instructions. We called for RoadSide assistance for help.We had a conversation with roadside assistance for 15 minutes and gave our location along with mile marker. We been requested several times by our Mercedes Benz on our location, We shared what we know as we are nowhere in the middle of desert and don’t know exact location where we are other than our Mobile Phone provided coordinates. They recorded information and said that they are going to look for a toll truck guy to pull our car near to Henderson Las Vegas Mercedes Benz Showroom. We requested either for a loaner or provide a rental car as the toll truck doesn’t pick 4 people due to their policy constraints. We made it clear that we are ready to pay for those services as Safety is much priority at this moment as we are in middle of highway. To our Surprise, Mercedes Benz couldn’t offer a loaner nor rental. Instead they suggested to get a ride from a family member. (Who the hell on the world can give such a dumb response other than Mercedes Benz Call Center when they already know that we are 180 miles away from home location.)After waiting there for 2 hours and having several conversations with Mercedes Benz Call center, They called again to find our exact location as they couldn’t pinpoint our location. We immediately responded them by sending our Google maps locations. After an hour, We called them up again (around 7 pm) and realized that they might take another 1 hour to pick our car. So we made up our mind and said to come and tow as we are going to leave keys inside and lock the car. Here is the interesting part. As Mercedes Benz offers Lock and Unlock features through your mobile App from anywhere, I requested them to call me when they are about to pick my car so that I can unlock using my App. In that way, its safer to have keys inside of car and keys would help to start the engine. The customer service rep says that they are not sure whether that feature works. Bummer. Finally, we agreed to leave keys nearby front tire and leave the place. We called for Lyft and our pick up was ready in 15 minutes to take us to Vegas. Now the question arises on the products of Mercedes Benz. 1. How come Lyft able to pinpoint our location and render services in less than 15 minutes and dropped us safely to destined location whereas So called Advanced Machine Mercedes Benz couldn’t find its own location where it was stalled. 2. How come Lyft being an App operated able to provide best Customer service where as so-called Luxury vehicle Mercedes Benz doesn’t even know how to talk to its customers and provide some solution and get them to safe destination. 3. How come Mercedes Benz couldn’t offer a loaner car to its customers who are in needy (This is desperate state of being safe) than to promote on their brand.4. How come Henderson Las Vegas Mercedes Benz fail to understand the customer needs instead claim as if their cars is good to move on run flats for another 50 miles. (When the car itself states as if its disabled and cannot move). After coming home, We realized as if AAA and Lyft are better than so called Luxury cars. Just think what would have happened if you have kids in the car, same situation and middle of nowhere. Why do we need to buy these cars which sets high expectations on their services but failed to execute when needed?

Since I purchased my 2007 E350 sedan, I have spent over $12,000 in maintenance and repairs. Specifically, to name a few of the repairs beyond the usual maintenance, in December 2011, transmission repairs in the amount of $2,219. In December of 2012, my car completely died at midnight at an airport 30 miles from my home. That repair was $3,539 for transmission issues. Mileage: 62,000. In January of 2013, the same problem occurred with car dying. This time they did not charge me since it had been repaired a week earlier. In August of 2013, another $2,354 for transmission issues, including mounts (same thing from Dec 2011). My car has relatively low mileage for a car purchased over 6 1/2 years ago. I have always taken my car to the Mercedes Benz dealer for maintenance as required and have kept up with it. All service records are at Mercedes. I find that these are exorbitant amounts to pay for a luxury car, with low mileage. I expected far more out of Mercedes. I will NEVER buy a Mercedes again.

I want to purchase a duplicate of my C280 1999 Mercedes Benz key, which I lost. In Bolivia, the Mercedes representative, Ovando **, says they cannot sell me the key duplicate and give me the full service, because I bought my car to the previous representative. They can only take care of the cars they sold. I bought my car from the official representative in year 2000. I kindly request your help, so that I can purchase the car key. Since I lost the car key of my Mercedes Benz, I want to find a way to solve the problem and get a duplicate. I have three children, and I am having too many problems, since I do not have transportation. Please reply ASAP.

As of May 24, 2016, I spoke with the General Manager, Dan **, several times this week, at the St. George, Utah, Mercedes-Benz Dealership. He was professional and promptly investigated my complaints and concerns. Dan stayed in constant communication with me. Upon completion of his investigating the facts; he determined that since his organization diagnosed the problem on my vehicle incorrectly, that he would in his words, make it right, and honor the initial estimate and make the repairs on my vehicle accordingly at no additional charge to me. He ordered the additional parts and apologized for any inconvenience this ordeal has caused me and my family. At this point, I am very satisfied with the outcome and looking forward to picking up my vehicle by Saturday. It is refreshing to me to see that good leadership does still exist in business today. As a consumer, it is very important to give the decision makers and people in positions to affect outcomes an opportunity to solve the problem. Sometimes, things are not as they appear on both sides of a disagreement. I would like to thank Dan and his Service Department Team at Mercedes-Benz of Saint George, Utah, for again making me a satisfied customer. I would recommend this organization to all potential car buyers, my friends, and family, without reservation. This dealership has impeccable integrity and will go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. Respectfully submitted, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Pete Webster.

I have 2003 Mercedes Benz CL 500. The AC stopped working after a leak. Right after that, the ESP light came on then the car stalled out, my radio unit stopped working and there was no sound. I went to the dealership and got a diagnostic test. They insisted that I replace the whole unit at $3500. I went to a small music shop and they changed the fuse. The sound works great now.

The Car is reliance on computers too much and the price of taking your car back to where you bought it is too Costly. The cars are made from the cheapest parts they can make in China and want top dollar for the sale of the car. And the servicing of the car is too high you better off buying a car from Japan.

Two cars, MB SL-500 and MB S-500, both with low mileage but just out of warranty time-wise. SL-500: New wiring harness before I bought it at 25K; new motor mounts at 29K; new shift linkage at 28K; convertible top died mid-cycle at 39K, it took four months to repair; Ball Joints at 41K. For the S-500: Power steering unit at 60K; new fuel pump at 61K; new A/C at 61K; new auto door lock system at 65K; new ignition at 65K. Every part cost $800 plus and $150/hour in labor. Average repair cost is $2,500/month. Maintenance is also done every month. I drove one car with fingers crossed while the other was in the shop. Both cars are gone! Never ever again.

I have a 2006 ML350 that has 100,000 miles and is worth about $13,000. The check engine turned on so I took it to the agency and the estimate to fix it is over $9,500. In the dealership they told me to call Mercedes USA and after a long talk and wait from them they offer a 10% discount on the repair. A car that has always been serviced correctly and that is supposed to last 300,000 miles definitely does not. Mercedes knew that those parts were defective and changed them on future models but they will not be fixing what they sold that is defective. I would definitely be thinking again about buying a new Mercedes in the future.DONT BUY MERCEDES.

I have a huge issue with MB. I own a 2006 CLS 500. This was my dream car. I wanted this car so bad but when I bought it, it gave me nothing but problems. More than twice my brakes went completely out. I could not stop or slow my vehicle down, red light flashed on my dashboard saying stop reduce braking power. Do you know how scary that is to be driving on the freeway 65-70MPH & have a car cut you off & you cant stop or slow down because your breaks completely shut down, shut off. There was another couple times I was driving at 45-55mph on the street and Im coming up on a red light and I cant STOP my car at all, the breaks lock up. I feel so lucky me or my family riding in my car were not injured. Twice MB had to fix the recall SBC (Sensotronic Brake Control) on my car. Certain vehicles, the sensotronic brake control (SBC) system may prematurely shift to the hydraulic back-up function mode, due to deterioration of the wiring harness connection, or due to premature failure of the hydraulic pump.Twice they had to fix this problem. I dont feel safe in this car at all. But the icing on this cake is once I got my car out of the shop, I go to Costco & fill up my gas tank, come out from shopping and underneath the drivers side back, tire gas is leaking. Me & my family get in the car & it smells so bad of gas which isnt good for a toddler to breathe nor anyone to breathe in for that matter. So I take it right back to the dealership & they diagnosed the problem -- crack in my gas tank. So since Im catching on to all these car reviews online I do my research and come to find out that Im not the only one with this or these problems on my 2006 CLS 500. Mind you MB said the gas tank leak & replacement would cost me 3,000$ to fix. So Im doing my research and there is no recall, just complaint after complaint about this gas tank leak. MB insists if I dont fill up my gas tank all the way it wont leak. I couldnt afford 3,000$ for a problem I knew MB was responsible for. So Ive been driving around for 1yr & a half with a cracked gas tank.Dec 2015 Ive exhausted all my options. Now I cant register my car, the check engine light is on because of the crack in the gas tank. So I was recently doing more research and finally MB extended the warranty & is going to cover the gas tank problem after letting me drive around with a cracked gas tank for 1yr and a half -- doesnt sound very safe and reliable. Mercedes-Benz slogan is The Best or Nothing. I havent gotten the best customer service. Roadside is picking my car up today 12-8-15 & MB of Scottsdale AZ informed me since the gas tank is on back order 1-6 weeks and they can NOT give me a loaner car. But they are going to keep my car for 1-6 weeks till the part comes in & the service rep. informed me there is 13 people ahead of me waiting on gas tanks so really who knows how long this will take. I called customer service, they were of NO help. I called them a few more times explaining to them I will NOT have a car. How will I get to work?! They said borrow a friend or family members car (I live in AZ with no family here unfortunately). But how could this be my problem? MB service rep also suggested I can still drive my car till the gas tank comes in. But I explained Ive already used my extended registration from the MVD and I cant register my car without getting a smog and I wont pass smog because check engine light is on because of the Gas Tank Leak... MB customer service wont do anything to help. I asked them what would they suggest and they stay quiet!!! I NEED ANSWERS!! I cant afford to rent a car till when?! 1-6weeks?! They cant even give me a date it will be down, everything is just up in the air & Im ** out of luck.. I am NOT ok with the way Ive been treated dealing with MB. I thought it was The Best or Nothing. My problem still isnt solved. MB roadside is on their way to pick up my car & I still have no transportation. But my car needs to be at the shop so they can order the part. This is so ridiculous and absurd!!

GKL250 Bluetec and tires - I believe I need to bring this to everyones attention and would welcome a response from Mercedes Benz on this one. I have already written a complaint but they dont seem to be too keen on responding in an acceptable manner. I am a female who lives in Western Canada and our nearest MB dealership is 120 kms away. I bought this car, ex-demo with 1500 kms on it. About a month after I got the car, the run flat indicator came up telling me to check the tire pressure. I noticed that the rear driver side tire was down, so I pumped it up again and reset the indicator inside. A few days later, it happened again but this time went completely flat because I had been driving on it. It was on a Sunday.I called Mercedes Benz helpline and the lady at the other end told me that I had run flat tires on my car and this means I wont have a spare tire but I can still drive up to 80 kms an hour on the tire and take it into my nearest dealership which would be Vancouver (120 kms away). I explained to her that there is no way I could do this as the rim was now sitting on the tire. After a lot of back talk, I finally convinced her this wasnt possible, so she organized a tow truck to come and pick the car up and take it down to Vancouver (at MB cost). The tow truck left a huge black line on my driveway where the rim of the tire had scraped into the tire itself when putting it on the ramp. The next day, Monday, I had a bunch of appointments that I had to re-schedule, so that I could take the bus to Vancouver to pick my car up. I arrive at the dealership and I am informed that the tire could not be saved and was presented with a bill of $575. I questioned why it was this expensive and they said thats what run flats cost. This week, 5 months later, the run flat indicator came back on and I noticed a nail in one of the tires. I took it to my local garage who managed to fix it for $23.99. I asked them how much they would charge for run flats and they said that I dont have run flats on my car and that they are regular all season tires and they would charge for a good tire between $250-$275.As you can imagine, I am not very happy on a number of levels and particularly as I have regular tires and dont have a spare in my car. I referred this complaint to the dealership and was merely told that I have a compressor in the back of my car and I can easily pump it up. This is not acceptable. If the tire had blown out making it totally undriveable and I was in one of the many areas throughout BC that has no cell phone service, what would I do? I can change a regular tire if I had one but in this case, I would be totally stranded! As far as I can tell, this is a big issue that needs to be resolved by MB and I am hoping that they do the decent thing and follow up and to safeguard other owners of these cars.

Took the car for a thorough checkup prior to the factory warranty expiration. This car has only 25,000 miles. Service agent said car checked out fine. She did some minor work. To my dismay 4 months later there is an oxygen sensor issue and the engine light is on indicating either sensor or a computer panel issue which could cost thousands. The service agent Lorena was extremely rude and even told me why dont I have my friend who tested this and found out, fix my car since its out of warranty. This is unbecoming of Mercedes Benz and she should not be working there period.

I purchased a 2013 CPO C250. What sold me was the unlimited mile warranty. I had discussed with the finance dept what was and wasnt covered. I had also discussed what the car was to be used for. The purchase was Jan 5 2015. The car was in the shop a lot. I average about 65k miles a year. I had used the warranty several times without a hitch. 2 weeks ago my car was in the shop and I get a text from my writer saying, MBUSA has canceled your warranty. Come pick up your car. So I did. I arrived at the dealership and was amazed that they returned a broken car that looked like they parked it under a tree full of birds. Very tacky. Now, afraid to drive the car. I baby it every time I drive it. Of course thats no good. The car left me stranded last night in the middle of nowhere and dumped all the oil out. Seems a little convenient. Almost like they knew it would happen. I have been in the auto business for many years and have never seen a customer treated this badly. Thats not the whole ugly story but Im sure you get the gist of it. Big thumbs down for MBUSA. BTW, I sell German cars and we are a class act compared to this manufacturer.

I own a 2014 SL550 and a 2001 SL500. Mercedes no longer makes the keys for the 2001 SL500 and they can not tell you who can make them for you. I called 2 dealers and the US Customer support line. One dealer said you need to go to a locksmith. I called 22 locksmiths. None make the keys. Two said they cant make the keys because Mercedes will not release the codes necessary for them to make them. So let me get this straight. Mercedes cant make them and they wont enable anyone else make them. These keys have been unavailable for almost a year. If you lose your key, tough luck. Your car is a large paper weight. Mercedes doesnt give a hoot. What moron is in charge of this at Mercedes? Whoever it is, they could care less about their loyal customers and should be fired immediately. I own a 1999 Mercedes-Benz ML320 truck. On 13 Aug 2011, a 20-feet wooden telephone pole was lying on a badly-lit street in the middle of the night. No one knows how it got there. Driving 45 miles per hour, (speed limit is 45 mph) I hit it with the front of my car. Then the pole went under my bumper resulting into a broken steering column and a bent car frame. My air bags, however, did not deploy. When I asked Mercedes why the bags did not open, they said that it only opens when hit in certain spots. In the end, my car was totaled by the insurance company.

When you paid premium price for purchasing and routine maintenance of a MB
When you paid premium price for purchasing and routine maintenance of a MB 350E, you expect a solid car with good quality. You would be wrong! My 2011 MB 350E has shown poor quality of materials. The control buttons of the steering wheel were wrapped with a piece of plastics and starting smearing. Moreover, the car seat cover has been torn apart, while the main driver of the car is lighter than 120 lb and the car has been parked mostly in garages. You can see that in the attached photos. I have never seen a premium car deteriorated so early so fast. It seems that the car was built with too many low quality artificial materials, or plastics, and not built to last! Maybe MB is expecting people to spend money every other year to buy a new one. Well, with such poor quality, people may have to to buy a new car in a year or two after an MB, but another brand!

Low profile, flatless tires on the S550 4Matic - My car is leased through my company. I have the car about 17 months. I still have another year and a half on my lease. During this time I have had to have a total of 11 tires replaced and now my car is in for a flat tire once again. The leasing company actually reimbursed me once month lease payment because my car was in the shop for almost 8 weeks. I have had it with this car!!! Im a CEO and need a car that is reliable. I asked to get out of the lease and they stated some preposterous number to pay to get out of it. Im wondering if others with this type of tire are experiencing the same frustration as I am. Im actually afraid to drive my car anywhere for fear I may go into a pothole. I also do not feel safe in it for fear that I may have a blowout. Any suggestions?? My next step is to get an attorney to get me out of this. Until the flatless tires are perfected, Im going to look into an SUV that has substantial tires on it.

On June I bought a Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG. After about a week of having the car a check engine light was on, took the car to the dealer and after a couple of days the dealer told me the problem was fix and it was only a bad sensor. After another couple of week the check engine light was on again; took the car to the dealer and after about a week of having the car I was informed that the 4 fuel injectors had to be change. Car was good for about 3 weeks. After that once again check engine light went on; took the car to the dealer one more time and this time is was the fuel pump that was replaced. I express to the dealer I was very unhappy with the situation. After going back and forth with the dealer about the situation, they told me I had to open a complaint with Mercedes-Benz USA by calling a 1-800 number. I did that and after and received a call from a MB regional manager that told me they review my complaint and were not able to assist me with my problem and explain me that if I wanted to get something done further I shall get legal counseling because they were very firm on their position. After all this I decided to move the page and get rid of the car. I purchase a BMW, which I had always have for many years and never had a problem with. In December 2006, I had a bad car accident. An F150 Ford truck ran a red light and badly damaged my car. (The driver left the scene). I could not walk. My car was in the paint and body shop for almost 5 months & I had to rent a car for that time period. I only had the car 13 months at the time of the accident. The car stayed idle for so many months in the repair shop that the tires were stolen off the car, and Mercedes Benz manager said that was the time the tires should be replaced anyway (thats not true). I was not compensated for the tires. When I finally got the car back, it had swaying issues. I never knew when the car was going to sway, therefore, I was afraid to drive at a high rate of speed. The swaying was very scary!!!. The car went back to Mercedes Benz more than once with swaying complaints. They claimed their technicians could not find anything wrong with the car. I know that Mercedes Benz knew exactly what was wrong with that C280, but everyone denied the issue. Therefore, I had to continue driving the defected car as safely as possible until the lease matured. The swaying issues could have caused a serious accident & possibly death. I would not let anyone else drive it because of the swaying. I finally stopped complaining because it was useless!

When you hear Mercedes you think, high end, great quality and understand expensive to repair. I received notice to replace the airbag. I went to a local Mercedes dealer for the service. In the process, I inquired about what it would cost to repair the drivers bottom seat that is ripping at the seam and what it would cost to replace the broken, Plastic passenger door sensor. I was quoted $450 dollars for 2 hours of labor to replace a sensor that pops into the socket. What a joke. Then after picking up the car from the airbag replacement, found that the driver window button, also Plastic was broken off.It was not broken when I dropped off the car. The dealership will not take responsibility. I have to say that I am really surprised that either the sensor or the window button are made as cheaply as they are. I dont understand why they would not be made of a more sturdy material given the name of the manufacturer. The lack of responsibility of the dealer for the damage they caused was definitely unexpected. If I thought, at one point, of getting a new Benz, it will not be a consideration now. Nothing like overpriced and lack of accountability. Thank You Mercedes.

Nightmare experience. Was so excited to get my GLA 2015 4 years ago. I had been warned about repair costs but it is outrageous! I was driving on the highway, the car stopped accelerating and smoke went out of the back. The check engine light never came on. I was informed that it needs a new turbo and a water pump, $4700, and there “might” be engine damage. Both have been replaced and the check engine light is now on and the car has been in the shop for two weeks. The mechanic does not seem to know what’s going on or when I will get my car back. I will be getting this disaster of a junk box off my hands ASAP... Total money pit.

I’ve leased my first “luxury” car, a Mercedes Benz GLA 250! Since the start it was not the best experience, I’ve should take note... The salesperson resigned and my ordered vehicle didn’t arrived... They assigned a new person two weeks later and then had to wait another 15 days until they asked if I wanted to choose from one of the new cars they had in inventory, since they didn’t had the options I wanted they’ve added the camera for reverse for free (they had to).First weekend I left for a mini vacation came back to a non start truck, couldn’t even get in... Called the roadside assistance and they had to come and start it... It was very strange, a brand new card having those issues. Took it in for review and it had “according to them” nothing wrong. Last year I went again on vacations, next morning wanted to go to work and again, didn’t start. They said this time it was the battery, replaced it for free. They made me waste half of work day. So here we are, 2018, last year of my lease and I just got back from vacations, and again! Yes again! It won’t even open or start. I’m so relieved that I get to replace my car this month and I’m so disappointed on Mercedes Benz.

The worst vehicle I have ever owned and the worst service. When you buy a vehicle 2016 with less than 1200 miles on it and they tell you the van should get between 30-40 miles per gal and you get 18.4 and the lights keep on going on and off, and the tires had to be replaced with less than 9,000 miles on it, and the doors and windows stick, and you go in to have the check lights corrected and ten miles down the road they are back on, when the fuel gauge is not accurate, and and and...I could write a book about this piece of overpriced garbage. I now suffer from Ford envy as I drive all over the country and I do not feel safe in this vehicle as lights are going on and off all the time including check engine lights. Ive had more problems with this vehicle and spent more money in the few months Ive had the Metris than I have ever on a vehicle, and I usually get between 250,000 and 325,000 miles on a vehicle. The salesman left the dealership right after I bought the van and the service dept. instead of fixing the warning light they filled the fluid levels! Ive already talked two friends into not buying a Mercedes! The salesman told me they only allowed 100.00 for my van which had 4 brand new tires and battery as they could only scrap it. I would have taken it back and given it to public radio but he said they had already sent it off! Should I go on? When I had the tires replaced because they said they were not safe I took the tires and they look fine to just about everyone who has looked at them. I had to have air put into the tires two days after I purchased it as the light for air pressure was on. I am a professional and because I am a woman I pay attention to vehicles and everything that affects me and my business. I am now going to see if I can get any money for this piece of junk and buy another van, Hopefully this will be from a decent company and will not have chocolate on the seats when I get it. Never buy a Mercedes or deal with their salesmen or service dept. Anyone want to buy this cargo van? Oh they told me that the Metris is a cargo van but you shouldnt put any weight in it!

The Mercedes GLA is a great purchase. I have researched this make from child like time frame. I have lived and stayed updated on this make since I was 8 yrs old. This has been a childhood dream or bucket list now. The model is a little unfamiliar but its high in demand. I adore the sound system, sunroof access, capacity holding and the drive on the road. It runs well, and great on speed and brakes. On the other hand, the brakes could improve a bit and all models should be snow ready not just AMG style. I wish the colors were a tad more to choose from exterior and interior.

My wife and I leased a brand new E350 almost one year ago. My father has the same car and we had driven every iteration he has had over the years so we were very familiar with the car, and liked the way each of his drove. The car had issues as soon as we drove it off the lot, loose parts, noises in the trunk, and rough/unpredictable shifting of the transmission. The loose parts and noises were fixed when we took our new car in to the dealer 5 days after we picked it up. They also replaced the rear tires. The car still shook and shifted roughly. So since the dealer we bought it from still had our traded vehicle, I suggested it would be best for all involved to return the car and we would leave with our trade but they refused. I contacted MB corporate and wrote letters to the President of MB North America. I was told to continue to bring the car in for service since that was what the warranty is for, but I find this completely unacceptable for such a pricey car. In almost of a year of having this car weve only driven 4500 miles because we feel the car is unsafe to drive. We pursued a lemon-law case, but since the descriptions on the repair orders are written by different people who are interpreting the problems the best they can in limited space, and since the shifting issues are intermittent, the Board ruled against us even though the car exhibited the unpredictable shifting/acceleration on the way to the hearing. We have been treated poorly by the dealer we leased the car from, and from MB Corporate who makes the Customer feel like there is no real issue with the car even though a search has revealed that the 7 speed transmission in these cars are not working correctly. Weve asked that MB re-purchase the car so we can get something that performs properly and that we feel safe driving. My wife has had issues on the highway because of the unpredictable acceleration of the car, when you expect to pass or avoid a car and you press on the gas, sometimes the car does not initially respond, and then lurch forward unpredictably. One of the board members hearing our case stated that modern cars exhibit a 2 to 3 second delay when accelerating because they are not connected to the carburetor the way older cars were which is just nonsense, but thats who is reviewing these things. I am shocked at how MB treats their Customers. I never received a response from the President of MB NA by the way. I can provide all my e-mails, letters, and repair orders if needed. MB portrays themselves as a premium brand but they treat their customers poorly and step all over them with a legal team and experts who can easily confuse board members hearing lemon cases. MB could have taken back this lemon and I would have purchased a more expensive model if they were good business people, but they are more interested in forcing the Customer to pay for a sub-standard car so that they can hold on to their image as a prestige brand which in my experience it is not. Ive had Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, and Mercedes automobiles and Ive never had anything close to this type of experience. We continue to bring the car to the dealer which has been a major inconvenience and not what you expect from a brand new car.

This is a complaint against Mercedes Benz Croydon. Yesterday (24th Jan 2012), my car registration number ** Mercedes C220 was booked for a full service, and an MOT. It was agreed that the car would be picked up from my home in Bromley, and delivered back the same day. The car was picked up on time in the morning. I got a call from Clive ** at about 16:00 H from Mercedes Benz of Croydon, that the car is about to be finished and dropped back, and would I please pay the required amount. I was with a patient at the time (as I am doctor and was consulting), and told him I will ring back as soon as I finished. I rang back a few minutes later, and was told the car would be dropped off, but they were having some driver troubles. We agreed that since I needed the car for work the next morning, and would leave for work the next day before 09:00H the car could be delivered before nine the next day. Clive said he would do his best to get the car delivered today. He also mentioned that the passenger side wheel arch cover was missing, and I asked him if that could be replaced. He said it could, and the cost of that was added to the bill, which was paid by credit card. Later on, I got a voice mail on my phone from Clive that the car would be delivered before 09:00H tomorrow. The next morning (today, the 25th of January 2012), I rang Clive at around 09:00H to ask where the car was, as it was nearly 09:00H. He said the driver left at 08:20H, and should have been there by now. He promised to ring me back. I rang him at 09:10H or so, to say the car is still not here, and my medical clinic will be starting and my patients will be waiting. He said he would try to get in touch with the driver. Nothing happened, and it was now 09:26H. I rang again, and this time he said he is just around the corner, and should be there in a couple of minutes. I asked him how he knew, he said he had spoken to other drivers, and they said he was in the area as they had spoken to him. I was getting desperate. At 09:32H or so, I rang Mercedes Benz, and asked to be put to customer services or the general manager, in order to lodge a complaint. The lady said none of the sales managers is free, and no one can take my complaint. However, if I would leave my name and number, someone would ring me back as soon as they were free. No one rang back as of today. The driver eventually turned up at 09:37H. He said sorry, the traffic was bad. I asked him what time did he leave, and he said 08.50H (whereas Clive repeatedly assured that the driver left at 08:20H). I dont believe the driver either, for if he had left at 08:50H, he should have been at my place at 09:20H at the latest (or 09.30 if traffic was very heavy). I was dismayed that no one from Mercedes Benz rang back to apologize, and to check if everything was okay. No one was bothered that a number of my patients had to wait, and then had to leave without seeing their doctor. On top of that, even though I had been charged, the wheel arch cover had not been fitted (as the bumper was a bit warped). No credit note had been issued. I discovered the arch was not fitted only late this evening. I strongly feel that Mercedes Benz Croydon were not truthful when they dealt with me. Are they truthful when they say they serviced the car properly? I strongly feel that Mercedes Benz treated me extremely shoddily. I request that a full investigation be made why this happened, and how can I overcome my reluctance to deal with this same crowd again? My service book was not stamped (it was in the car on the inside leg area of the front passenger seat of the car). I can understand if it was overlooked. I feel reluctant to go to the branch to ask them to stamp it, because they appear to be an untrustworthy lot. I request some compensation be made for the aggravation suffered by me, due to this unfortunate incident.

At 2AM after being off for nearly 10 hours, the passenger seat of my 2007 GL450 caught on fire in my garage, nearly catching the house on fire and killing my dogs who were in the garage with the car. I reported this to Mercedes (MBUSA) and asked that they inspect the car because this was clearly a defect. The internet is littered with stories/complaints of GL450 seats catching on fire (Google GL450 fire). They said they would inspect it. After much prying, they never did an inspection. A friend with a GL450 called Mercedes to ask about these events that are on the internet that I had forwarded to her. They told her that no one had ever submitted a formal complaint on this, that they had never heard of that and she should not worry. This companys disregard for the lives of the people that buy their vehicles is appalling. You buy these cars because you think they are safe, yet when the company has been contacted on numerous occasions about a defect that has the potential to kill people, the company does nothing to fix the problem and lies to customers saying they have never heard of a GL450 catching on fire. Its as if they dont think we can search for things on the internet. I will never trust Mercedes again. I cannot believe they knowingly leave these cars on the road with seat heater defects that are literally like bombs going off when the car is unattended in a garage. This company has no respect for human life.

I thought I was buying my pride and joy - a Mercedes GL350 Bluetec - from the Mercedes-Benz Melbourne showroom. I was dealing with a very charismatic sales agent who promised me free service for first 3 years and that this would be put in as a part of the deal. This promising agent left the dealership and I was palmed off to someone else who, apparently, was pretty green and almost botched up the documents to be sent to my bank on time. I managed to salvage that situation with the bank. Then again I was palmed off to someone else and eventually got my vehicle after a 4 month waiting period. And I never got my free service as it was missed by the dealership due to change of sales agent handling my deal and purely due to the unprofessional set up of the dealership customer service. What is the most disappointing part is the pure lack of service. Nobody from Mercedes was bothered to follow-up with me after the sale of a new vehicle ($150K) whether it was doing OK or if I had any issues. There was no correspondence from the dealership leading up to the service, not even a call, to inform and plan for a service. Guys - there is nothing wrong with the product. But I think its the brand name selling itself, not the M-B dealership in Melbourne. Its the worst I have ever seen, comparing with Mitsi and Toyota. Toyota are the benchmark as far as customer service is concerned and they cost fraction of the price for the vehicle and are a top drawer engineered too. Go anywhere BUT this Melbourne dealership. They suck.

2009 SL550 37K miles. Close to $10K replacing pumps and parts for hydraulic suspension system within last 25 months. Known to have high rate of failure with MB. 2 weeks ago: Total brake failure at intersection. No warning, car hanging out on 40mph road. Alarms, car engine running but with no control. Could not depress brakes per message on dash hard enough to engage gears. Jumped on them and after several near miss t-bones was able to reverse but not stop reverse due to brake failure. Mercedes Benz SBC design flaw and I was lucky. Someone may not be so lucky someday. Will never drive that car or any other MB again. This is another dangerous and documented flaw. MB did not nothing but replace that part. I think I was supposed to be happy. Asked them for fair market value buy back for my car. I was given all the reasons I had no recourse from. They dont take where the car ended up with the brake failure into consideration to expired lemon law period. Better customer service for our Tahoe. More than disappointed.

I recently purchased a SLK280 and have now found that it has a serious and well known engine fault. This was from EMS warning light and fault codes 1200 & 1208 which is for faulty balance shaft. I now understand that this is a well known fault of worn teeth due to material. I am now faced with a 5000 repair bill to repair this. The car is 2007 and has only done 22,000 miles! I have been told that Mercedes are not prepared to offer any contribution to this cost. This is my first Mercedes and one of the reasons I chose it was the perceived Mercedes quality and reliability. I am really disappointed to find a Mercedes engine falling apart after only 22,000 miles.

Please tell me why a CPO vehicle still well under original warranty according to miles would need a new transmission-even if youd had it a year. Two or so months and new transmission dont add up. Even the service tech who worked on it said theres no way this car could have been inspected or passed inspection. Brakes, rotors, transmission, speakers, window motor guide, blower motor, steering wheel, and a bunch of other stuff. Are you kidding me?. Two or so months and all of this? Feel free to reach out to me. The selling dealership has done absolutely nothing... nothing... they act like its a big cover up or something.

I am a small business owner. I operate a small cartage company that deliver specific products for specific clientele on a weekly basis in the Greater Toronto Area. I bought the business with a different truck from a gentleman I knew who learned he was terminally ill about 5 years ago. That truck gave me all kinds of problems, so earlier this year I decided that maybe it was time to go with something new; I decided to lease a Mercedes Sprinter (I feel that this is all relevant information, please bear with me). Now initially when I leased the Sprinter, I made an error in calculation and leased one that was inadequate to meet my payload needs (2500 with extended wheelbase). The monthly payment on this one was about $900, including HST. Admittedly, that one was entirely my mistake. After about 4 months, I went back to my dealership and traded in Sprinter #1 and upgraded the model of vehicle to a 3500 Dually with an extended wheelbase. In addition to the cost of the lease, an additional $6200 for the lease shortfall was tacked on to the lease value which had a drastic effect on my monthly lease payments (which are a handsome sum of $1109.90/month). This shortfall would offset the reduction in value since I drove the vehicle off the lot. Unfortunately, it was not long after this that I discovered a very real threat to my business which might force me to shut down operations, which also happened to coincide with a new promotion that Mercedes began specifically for Sprinters. I contacted my dealership to explain the situation, but with little result. All that was said to me was to contact Mercedes Benz Financial Services to see what the options are, which are very limited. Essentially, the options are as follows;a) I could voluntarily surrender the vehicle at which time Mercedes would then send it to auction where they would try to recover the highest value, leaving me responsible to cover the balance plus the tax. This option would have a very detrimental effect on my credit rating as it would not distinguish that it was a voluntary repossession, only repossession; b) Find a candidate to take over the lease (the truck has been on leasebusters.com since August 2012. See leasebusters ad ID # 132995 if youre interested); c) Either myself or someone else could buy the vehicle outright. Now, Im not asking for special treatment and I understand that I signed the paperwork making me responsible, but let me share a couple of other things that have happened in the interim. I have had two serious inquiries about the truck since it has been on leasebusters.com. The first was a pair of gentlemen who had just started a cartage business and were going to take over my business with the truck who had contacted the individual at my dealership (whose name I will not mention) who sent them the necessary forms. Now part of the issue was that because they were a newer company and lacked any sort of financial history, they were asked to provide personal guarantees on the vehicle. Fair enough, though it is important to keep in mind that my business was enough to get me the truck, so why not them? I mean they were intending to take over my business, after all (in case youre wondering, the threat to my business is not a sudden loss of business but something I dont wish to disclose). Now the second gentleman contacted me from Montreal where he is the president of a large, international multi-modal transportation company and we had actually agreed upon incentive fees and a pick-up date. When I contacted the same individual at the dealership, she once again sent the same applications to the individual for him to fill out. Upon realizing that he was being asked for personal information, he basically ceased all communication with me and effectively killed the deal, less than a week before it was scheduled to occur. I later learned that he was reluctant to personally guarantee the vehicle, especially when it was his company that would be taking over the lease, and not him personally. Needless to say, I was very frustrated at this point. I contacted Mercedes to find out why both business and personal financials were needed and wasnt given any explanation except that it was often the case in these circumstances. Since then, I have been trying to contact Mercedes Benz Financial to come up with alternative potential solutions, such as offering to pay an additional lump sum to bring down the monthly payments, in order to make it more attractive to a potential lease take-over candidate but to no avail. When I suggested this I was told that there would be no point in paying extra, as it would not affect my payments but rather reduce the amount of money owed on the back end of the lease. My business is closing at the end of January and as of right now, it seems as though I will have to continue making payments on the Sprinter until either someone takes it over or I take it back for repossession. If I take it back for repossession, I will have a long-lasting scar on my otherwise impeccable credit. I have done everything I can think of and Mercedes Benz is completely unwilling to assist me in any way. Mercedes Benz has put me on a collision course with bankruptcy. On numerous occasions, when dealing with someone from either the dealership or MBFS, I have been met with what can only be described as indifference. I feel as though I will be left with no other choice but to file for bankruptcy and start all over even though I have tried everything to pursue other avenues and solutions.

We purchased a Mercedes Benz Gl 450 for a total of over $47,000 in July 2019 and in addition to the car having warranty up to 50,000 miles, we purchased an additional service/repair package for $1,800.00. We spent all that money with an expectation of safety, reliability and the peace of mind promised by mercedes benzs multi point inspection, warranty up to 50,000 miles and the extra repair package that we purchased. Recently we noticed that when we first start driving the car has a noise on the right side, the noise is most noticeable when applying the brake and when releasing the brake. On December 2nd, we took the car to Mercedes Benz of Valencia and to say that the service department staff was UNWILLING TO HELP is a gross understatement. The service manager was derelict of his responsibility. First he said there was no loaner vehicle available therefore, no one could examine our car, when in fact I had called twice to confirm that a loan vehicle would be available to us when making the appointment. Then second he said nothing could be done to examine the noise in our car because the car had been in an accident, therefore warranty was not attached, but could not show me any of that in writing. Further, the accident was a minor one with only minor body damage which amounted to a $3,400 repair job and no engine damage was sustained. We stressed on multiple occasions that we needed to establish whether the noise was engine related or a result of accident related body damage. They eventually did agree to keep the car for examination, they called the following day on December 3rd and told us to come and get the car. Bill the service representative stated that they heard the noise when applying the brake and said there is nothing they can do because the brakes on the car are new and that they do not know what is causing the noise nor what could be wrong with the car. We are concerned and, worried about our safety, not to mention flabbergasted that the auto manufacturers employees are unwilling to diagnose the problem and are demonstrating a blatant disregard for brand integrity or customer safety. There was no report given to on what type of examination or assessment if any at all was performed on the car. There was no print out of areas examined and findings observed, it appears they kept or car overnight and called us in the morning to fetch it. Given that brakes are a very important part of vehicle operation we are shocked that the service department has displayed such a lackadaisical attitude towards a potential safety risk. We purchased the car which has up to 50,000 mile warranty or 7 years whichever occurs first and the additional repair package for peace of mind expecting to get the proper service that would address any issues and instead we were told by the vehicle manufacturer service department that there is nothing they can do and further they do not know what is causing the malfunction in a car manufactured by Mercedes and covered by a 50,000 mile warranty. There is something very wrong with that.

Second is front driver side door hinge is noisy when opening and closing the door. The local dealer manager has already confirmed and quoted the Mercedes support MR. **. I made this wrong by the parts vendor. MR. **s undercover warranty. The part is a car will use for lifetime if there is no accident. Sometimes, it may change color after 10 or 15, 20years of use. It does not occur in automobiles such as Japan, Korea, and it is not possible to question German technology. I am an expert in this parts manufacturing. Thank so much again.

C300 with 90,000 Km. Would not start - catastrophic failure. Repair bill to $8000 with no end in sight. Weber Motors in Edmonton gouging and was MB Canada doing nothing. I am ready to walk away from this car. I finally threatened to sue and spoke to the manager and the bill is now about $5K. They tried to tell me it was reverse boosted when it has never been boosted at all. Really????? Totally unacceptable. To put in perspective, my previous car was an Infiniti which I kept to 260,000 KM and no problems with it. The one before that was a Volvo which I kept to 268,000 Km with no problems. I take very good care of my vehicles and I did same with the MB to no avail. When I get this car fixed, I am selling it as soon as I can. It will be a cold day in hell before I have another MB.

2017 Mercedes GLC300 GPS is horrible and dangerous. It tells you, Prepare to turn left/right, but doesnt say when, or what street, or what lane. It gives the street or off ramp 500. I advance only. So when I went into right lane & its a right turn only lane so I have to turn but thats not where I was to go! This happens constantly. When I was in HOV lane of freeway GPS said, Exit freeway, but cant from HOV lane. Also on freeway it says, Prepare to exit right, so I go into right lane but the correct lane was 3rd from right lane. THIS GPS WILL CAUSE ACCIDENTS!Additionally to input request you have to go through multiple steps. The MB service staff says its cumbersome & they dont use it on their cars. It also says some roads are not mapped. IF YOU BUY A MB GLC300, DONT PAY EXTRA FOR THE GPS. I now have a Garmin on my dash after spending 2-3K on the MB GPS. The wire is 00Pl Lo. Ugly & it partially blocks my vision but at least it gets me where I want to go safely.

I wanted to post this to hopefully let potential customers know what to ask their dealership when thinking of purchasing a GLC 300. I apologize for the long length, but, think it will give some insight into the possible multiple problems. Keep reading: My wife and I purchased a 2016 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4Matic in March of 2016 - - our first and only Mercedes. Within 6 months of purchase, the brakes starting to emit an ear piercing squealing when in reverse. We contacted the dealership and were told that there was a design problem with the brake pads and new parts were being worked on.In the interim, the brakes started squealing in forward as well. We waited from September, 2016 until the beginning of 2017 before new pads were put on. Later in the year we began to hear tire noise inside the vehicle. We had a second maintenance service scheduled and done on December 9, 2017 and informed the dealership of the tire noise. After their investigation, we were told that we needed to purchase new tires, although, the mileage on the tires was at 18,935 miles. The Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires on the vehicle are rated for 65,000 miles. At the same time, we also experienced a clicking noise near the drivers door. The explanation for this was noise coming from the high pressure fuel pump. Not sure why we didnt hear the same noise when the vehicle was brand new. Also, the brake squealing also started again. We were informed, after having to ask, that Mercedes was working on yet another fix, but, parts were not yet available. We are still waiting for the new brake parts. This was just a prelude to what was coming. On January 4, 2018 my wife was driving home from work. The vehicle began to shake, sputter, and she could not get the vehicle to accelerate. By the time she reached home, 8 miles, the car was smoking profusely. After contacting the dealership, the car had to be towed. We were contacted the next day, January 5, by the Service Manager. We were told that a call was placed to the engineers in Germany because this had never happened before, even though there are several posts on various internet sites that dispute that statement.Due to the dealership not having a loaner vehicle available, we had to rent a car from January 5 until January 15 this was reimbursed by Mercedes. On January 15 we did receive a loaner vehicle from the dealership. On January 24 a call from the dealership informed us that the torque converter had gone bad and needed to be replaced. The mileage on the vehicle at this time was approximately 19,500 miles. Finally, on January 30 we received a call indicating our vehicle would be ready on Thursday, February 1. We met with the Service Manager upon arrival at the dealership and reviewed all the issues we experienced with the vehicle up to that point. We then began driving back home. When we were about 20 miles from home, a check oil level indicator message appeared on the instrument panel. When we arrived home, I checked the oil level and found that it barely registering on the dipstick. We were instructed to have the vehicle towed back to the dealership. They started looking at the vehicle on Monday, February 5. They called and informed us that the oil had not been touched in any way during the torque converter work, but, they needed more time to determine where the oil was going. They will continue to investigate as of tomorrow, February 3.

I have a Mercedes E 350 and expired warranty in May 2011. It was always repaired by two dealerships near me. Now, while I am driving, car stalls and check engine light comes up. Isnt this a serious safety issue? Why not Mercedes Benz of USA not recall this issue and fixed the problem? People can be killed on the highway when this happens? This happened to me almost five times up to now. I called both dealerships and they cant take the car until middle of next week as of today (December 23rd, 2011). I am so frustrated with this serious safety issues that we are having with this E350 model or any other. Could you be able to help consumers as ConsumerAffairs.com?

Mid November my C-350 would not start. I had it towed to the ONLY authorized repair shop in Dayton OH, Bob Ross Centerville. After several days and repeatedly calling them, I was finally told that my fuel pump went out as well as the wiring had melted and the level switch needed replaced. Oh and by the way this will cost $1850 give or take a penny. 9 days later the repairs were complete. I paid my bill and life appeared to be good again. I was humming along for a whole 9 days and lo and behold a siren like sound emitted from the rear of my vehicle, namely the fuel pump area. This occurred 3 1/2 days ago. I now cannot get a return phone call and I have yet to receive a diagnostic. Is it really asking too much to get an update on my vehicle?! I wish I could contact someone from Mercedes Benz and explain to them that we have another fine choice for our automobile repairs called the Foreign Exchange. But by Bob Ross having a monopoly it is giving Mercedes Benz a horrible name. Please Mercedes address this issue before I choose not to own another one of your cars. Your name has always stood for quality and I am concerned that this repair center does not.

One week ago, I received a call from Santander with which I am in a lawsuit with CitiFinancial and Santander because when they went to repossess my car, the repo man beat me up. He did not even come in a wrecker. This happened at 8:10 in the morning on a week day. I am now in appeal because they have lied unmercifully. I received a phone call last week from Santander threatening me because I took the case to appeal and should win. I recorded the conversation as I have all of them and that is how I proved their lies. I am Pro Se though not by choice. He threatened me then 2 hours later when I went to put my key in the ignition, the words came up take your key from the ignition. It left me stranded there that night. Did they lock me out of my car? I am afraid to take it in because I dont want them to say I stole the vehicle. I dont know what to do.I was stranded for hours. I cannot do my job since I am locked out of my car, this will keep me from filing my appeal. I am a nervous wreck that they are trying to frame me for something I have not done.

I have owned Honda or Acura products for my entire life. I drive quite a lot but thought I would try something different this time. I really loved the look and feel of the CLA 250 and thought I would test drive it. I was hooked. I bought the car on the spot. Great sales and finance support. No issues there. However, after about 8000 miles, the car started to have issues with the brakes, electrical system and front end, which I am sorry to say, I was forced to document meticulously, wasting numerous hours. To make a long story short, I was treated so poorly it was staggering. And by a Mercedes dealership, which I really didnt expect. I have owned the car for a little over a year; it has been in the shop about two months out of that time and still is not driving correctly. The service manager and general manager are not only unhelpful, but downright rude. Stay away from these guys.

I can prove that the dealership set me up to have my car malfunction and killed the battery to 4.2 volts, leaving me with a dead car that same day. The following day (if I had not been fortunate enough to have my engineer buddies jump my car for me), the dealer would have had a window of opportunity to charge me with repairs that were unnecessary. Never again will I buy a new Mercedes. Our 2011 ML350 has only 22,000 on it as of today. We use it for vacation trips only and it is stored in a climate controlled garaged when not in use. We have had three major repairs in the 22,000 miles, mostly sensors failing that made drivability terrible. Also had to have a new computer installed after several trips to various MB dealers who could not seem to diagnose the problem.Latest problem is bad rattling noise from the front suspension. I took the car to an independent mechanic who has a stellar reputation who diagnosed the problem as upper front strut mounting failure. This was at 17,000 miles and in preparation for a trip to Florida we had scheduled and wanted to be sure it was safe to drive. On that trip I took it to a dealer in Raleigh, NC where our daughter lives to have it repaired (We have no dealer within 100 miles of us here). The dealer verified the strut problem and quoted over $1800 to repair, which was a shock to me as I assumed at 22,000 miles that the warranty would cover this. We were told the time on our warranty had expired by just a little bit and it would not be covered by warranty. I called MB USA and tried to get it covered since it was such low mileage on the car. They would only allow a 40% discount on the repair. I then took the car to the earlier mentioned mechanic who did the repairs for less than the 40% off price at MB dealers. Never again will we buy a MB or have this one repaired by a MB dealer. The build quality on this car is about as bad as owning a Yugo. I have much experience on automotive builds as my hobby is restoring antique cars and building hot rods. I have built several cars from the frame up and currently own two hot rods built that way (1953 Ford F-100 and a 1934 Chevrolet). The car club I belong to is who recommended the local mechanic I use now for all maintenance on my newer cars when I dont have time or equipment to do it myself. The MB was purchased by my wife as her car and we expected much more from such a high priced vehicle. Highly disappointed in Mercedes-Benz.

Is MB serious with the ongoing Takata Airbag recall? I’ve been waiting patiently for over one year for replacement parts. They say... “The defect in your driver frontal airbag inflator on both driver and passenger frontal airbag inflation may cause the airbag to EXPLODE during airbag deployment and could result in metal fragments striking the front occupants, POSSIBLY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH”. Just received a letter saying parts won’t be in until Sept 2018!!! How is this acceptable. I’m driving a death trap!!! Any suggestion on how I can address this or should I just retain an attorney?

I have a 2007 ML 350 which I had purchased new. The car now has 117,000 miles on the odometer. For the past seven years it has been a great vehicle and the only problem I had was with a window lift on the passenger side. There were always little things like light bulbs, but nothing that was mechanical and needed fixing until this past week. The check engine light came on and when I brought the car in it was diagnosed to be a relay for the fuel injection system. A reasonable $211 fix. The next day the light came on again. Brought the car in again and it was diagnosed that there was a blockage in the air pump system for the admissions. I was quoted a $5,600 repair job. They have to tear the engine down to find the blockage.I was told by my service advisor that this shows up at about 115-120,000 miles. It is caused by carbon build-up. I maintain my car as per factory specs so it is not a lack of maintenance that caused this. In my estimation there may be a design flaw in the emissions system. Since the car is out of warranty the dealer cannot do anything for me to correct this. When I contacted Mercedes they said that because of the age of the car and the mileage they cannot or wont do anything for me. They wont even split the bill with me. However, they would give a $3,000 incentive to buy a new car. In the the meantime, my car has been rendered worthless. I cannot trade the car nor sell it with the check engine light lit up. I am at a loss on where to go from here. Any ideas?

I purchased my second Mercedes a 2013 GL450. In the less than year I have owned this, the check engine light has been a three-week issue to fix. Just after I passed the 50K on miles and just over the time of 4 years the check engine light came on again. $150 to diagnose. They required a compression test as the results was a cylinder losing compression. $400 to run compression test. After a few more days I receive a call that the #5 cylinder head is bad and will need replaced. Losing 60% compression, bleed off on idle. The cost for this repair was going to be $15,000.00. My question was what makes this happen to a car with only 53K miles on it? Manufacturer defect or a poor build job? No real answer other than it was going to be expensive due to the parts to replace, labor, machining that would need to be done and about 2 weeks to fix. Shy of an attorney at this point. I said this needs to be taken care of by Mercedes. Is this a common situation? If so then a new class action lawsuit needs to be filed. A few more days and Mercedes said they would split the cost with me. Now we are at $7500 if nothing else is wrong once they get into the engine. Still this should be on them for something this major with a car that has no more miles than this one has. $15K is 1/2 the price of the value of the car almost. Crazy. I have tried to get Mercedes to take care of this one. It should be on them for something this major with a low mileage engine issue. Still fighting trying to get this fixed. Any suggestions? I am open.

I purchased a brand new Mercedes Benz E350 4MATIC Sport from Fort Washington Mercedes in PA. My son and I took delivery of the car and as we were going home we heard a loud burst and the tire pressure monitor indicated malfunctioning rear right tire. The rear tire blew out at 40 miles odometer reading. The part that worried me the most was I lost control of the vehicle when it happened and was on the verge of hitting a car on the right lane. The emergency service in the car did not work. I had to call my insurance company for roadside assistance. It took them more than an hour to come and replace with a spare tire. There are numerous reports about E350 tire blowouts but I did not take them seriously and purchased E350 but I do not feel safe with this vehicle anymore. Im under constant worry of tire blowout and accident. I paid lot of money for this car and also purchased stress and fear. Note that tire blowout at high speed can cause serious accident and you never know when the blowout would occur. Im not sure what options I have but Im going to talk to the dealer. This car can put you in harms way. I realize now how serious the tire blowout problem is. Please be careful if you intend to buy this car.

A range of problems from drive belt being replaced, alternator, the lights inside not working, clanking from the engine when aircon is on, rear end noise, the car sliding on acceleration (rear end) and then the car misfired and a near miss with a truck. Mercedes has fixed all other than clunky noises and aircon noise. They tells the car is safe, then why is it sliding on the roads and lacking power on acceleration. In the process of picking up my car an hour late from my workplace, they get me a parking fine. They then deliver it back to my home late also. They indicate they will pay the fine, I have confirmation of that. They have not, and the fine has increased. I receive paperwork advising no known issues, though the engine light code paperwork has the misfire in ignition coil noted. My guess is notice done as my car is still not driving well. I ask my complaint to be sent to their CEO. I have not received confirmation of this. Silverstar in Doncaster had advised me that my car is fine and what would I expect of a 2 year vehicle. They offer to replace mine with a demonstrator and inform me they will offer me 35,000 for my 50,000 car and I will need to pay them the gap of 20,000. The dealer principal recommends that yes you should go to consumer affairs. Poor service, poor quality 2012 c180, very disappointed. Here I am now driving a car that does not accelerate and with continuous engine noise and malfunctions. Level of safety felt: zero. I am now due for a service though do not want to be humiliated at a Mercedes Dealership in Victoria again.
