The 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe is a midsize three-row crossover SUV designed to offer a combination of practicality, modern technology, and family-friendly versatility. The latest generation of the Santa Fe introduced a bold, boxy design, expanded interior space, and multiple powertrain options including gasoline and hybrid versions. It sits in Hyundai’s lineup between the smaller Tucson and the larger Palisade, making it a popular choice for families who need three rows but do not want a full-size SUV.

Overview

The 2026 Santa Fe continues the fifth generation of the model, featuring a distinctive square body shape inspired by rugged SUVs. The design emphasizes interior space and cargo capacity while maintaining the comfort and efficiency expected from a modern crossover.

Key highlights of the vehicle include:

• Seating for up to seven passengers.
• A standard turbocharged engine or available hybrid powertrain.
• Advanced safety technology and digital displays.
• A large cargo area with fold-flat rear seats.

The Santa Fe is built for everyday driving as well as long trips, offering a comfortable ride and flexible seating configurations.

Engine and Performance

The standard engine in the 2026 Santa Fe is a turbocharged four-cylinder.

Engine specifications include:

• Engine: 2.5-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder.
• Horsepower: 277 hp.
• Torque: 311 lb-ft.
• Transmission: 8-speed automatic transmission.
• Drivetrain: front-wheel drive standard with available all-wheel drive.

This engine provides strong acceleration for a midsize SUV.

Typical performance estimates include:

• 0–60 mph in roughly 6.3 seconds.
• Top speed estimated around 135 mph.

The Santa Fe focuses on smooth acceleration and comfortable highway driving rather than aggressive performance.

Hybrid Powertrain

The Santa Fe is also available with a hybrid powertrain that combines a smaller gasoline engine with an electric motor.

Hybrid specifications include:

• Engine: 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder.
• Electric motor integrated into the drivetrain.
• Combined output: about 231 horsepower.
• Torque: approximately 271 lb-ft.
• Transmission: 6-speed automatic.

The hybrid model improves fuel efficiency and delivers smoother low-speed acceleration compared with the gasoline version.

Fuel Economy

Fuel economy depends on the chosen powertrain.

Typical estimates include:

Gasoline model:

• About 20 mpg city.
• About 28 mpg highway.
• About 23 mpg combined.

Hybrid model:

• Higher combined efficiency thanks to electric motor assistance.

The hybrid version is designed for drivers who want better fuel economy without sacrificing the space and practicality of a midsize SUV.

Towing Capability

The Santa Fe offers moderate towing capability for recreational use.

Typical towing capacities include:

• Up to about 3,500 pounds for the gasoline model.
• Lower towing capacity for the hybrid version.

This allows the vehicle to tow small trailers, boats, or camping equipment.

Interior and Passenger Space

One of the biggest strengths of the Santa Fe is its spacious cabin.

Interior features include:

• Seating for six or seven passengers depending on configuration.
• Optional second-row captain’s chairs.
• Premium upholstery options including leather.
• Heated and ventilated front seats on higher trims.

Interior dimensions provide generous space for passengers:

• Front legroom about 44.4 inches.
• Rear legroom about 42.3 inches.
• Third-row seating for additional passengers.

The vehicle is designed to comfortably transport families while still providing practical cargo capacity.

Cargo Capacity

The Santa Fe offers strong cargo flexibility.

Cargo space includes:

• About 14.6 cubic feet behind the third row.
• About 41 cubic feet behind the second row.
• Up to about 79.6 cubic feet with the second and third rows folded.

The wide rear hatch and flat cargo floor make it easy to load large items.

Technology and Infotainment

The 2026 Santa Fe includes modern digital technology and connectivity features.

Key technology highlights include:

• Large touchscreen infotainment display.
• Digital instrument cluster.
• Smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Wireless phone charging.
• Built-in navigation system.

Higher trims may also include a premium sound system, head-up display, and additional driver-information screens.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Hyundai equips the Santa Fe with a wide range of driver-assistance technologies.

Common safety features include:

• Forward collision avoidance assist.
• Adaptive cruise control.
• Lane-keeping assist.
• Blind-spot monitoring.
• Rear cross-traffic alert.

These systems help improve driver awareness and assist with highway driving.

Dimensions

Approximate exterior measurements include:

• Length: about 190.2 inches.
• Width: about 74.8 inches.
• Height: about 67 to 69 inches depending on trim.
• Wheelbase: about 110.8 inches.

These dimensions make the Santa Fe slightly smaller than full-size SUVs while still offering three rows of seating.

Trim Levels

The 2026 Santa Fe lineup typically includes several trim levels with increasing levels of equipment.

Typical trims include:

• SE.
• SEL.
• XRT.
• Limited.
• Calligraphy.

Higher trims include luxury features such as larger wheels, premium interior materials, and additional driver-assistance systems.

Pricing

Estimated starting pricing for the 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe begins around:

• Approximately $38,000 for base models.
• Mid-range trims in the low to mid $40,000 range.
• High-end trims approaching $50,000 depending on options.

Actual pricing varies depending on trim level, drivetrain choice, and optional features.

Overall

The 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe is a versatile midsize SUV designed for families and everyday practicality. Its modern design, spacious three-row interior, and multiple powertrain options make it a flexible vehicle capable of handling commuting, road trips, and light towing duties.

After purchasing my AWD Hyundai Tucson in October 2016, I have been notified that this specific model had a dual clutch transmission defect that results in delayed acceleration from stop. The recall did not solve the problem and all my complains regarding the transmission was denied by Hyundai dealers. Since that date any time I go to the dealer complaint about loud transmission vibration and sound and delay on acceleration etc. they simply reply sorry this is due to the discontinued DCT defect that is well known for this model as if I have to accept it and live with it. The real problem that I have discovered that Hyundai has known about this defect prior selling the car to me and still they sold it and I simply have to live with the defective transmission that will definitely crash in the very near future!!!

Driving a new 2019 Tuscon Elite AWD. Car is good but had a alignment/steering issue from day one. Issue was addressed after four attempts and four months, although at a Ford Dealership. No issue with vehicle or even local dealerships. Issue for me is with the parent support team in CA. After months of steering issue finally opened a case with Hyundai Corporate. Cutting to chase, the folks in corporate are rude, did zero to help or expedite addressing issue and essentially deflected any liability what-so-ever. They opened a case I thought to help me, then never followed up, returned calls, answered emails - absolutely nothing! So again decent SUV, great value, but absolutely the 100% worst national customer support line Ive ever had the dissatisfaction of working with. If you a like a good value, then Hyundai is a safe bet. If if you also like a fair and open OEM who is concerned with customer feedback with new car issues, then run as fast as you can from Hyundai based on this writers firsthand experience.

Our 2011 Hyundai Veracruz is at the dealers now. Recalled item was handled previously and failed. However, they say they only fix once - so want us to pay $900+ to have same issue handled. Valve cover gasket allows oil to leak onto alternator, which then fails. Our car is STUCK in Hendersonville because we cant pay for the repair. On our 2011 Hyundai Veracruz: If there was a recall and it had been fixed correctly, the issue should be solved. It is not and the alternator has failed again. There seems to be a manufacturers defect and that is what should be fixed.

I bought a 0KM Hyundai Tucson here at Argentina, and it had its gear box ruined when an official Hyundai workshop got GL5 oil in it, instead of GL4. GL5 oil eats this type of gear boxes which have yellow metals in it, such as bronze. After this, the gear box started having several problems and malfunctions. They accepted their error but never agreed to replace the entire gear box; they just repaired it instead. By now, they have made two repairs to the gear box, and I am now having several new issues back again. They still dont agree to replace it for a new one. This would be the third time the gear box should get repaired, and the vehicle only has 80.000 KM. I am really disappointed; this is really unfair.

The airbag light was on in my 2009 Hyundai Tucson. When I took it to the dealership for diagnosis, it was found that a wire in a small assembly behind the passenger seat, that is attached to the seat belt, was broken. The dealer said they could not fix the wire because its a liability since it has to do with the SRS airbag system. There is no replacement part, so the whole assembly where the wire goes under the car, needs to be replaced and it costs thousands of dollars. The dealer contacted Hyundai and advised them that I want Hyundai to pay for this expense because it is not under warranty (60,000) and my car has 67,572 miles only. However, they responded back that Hyundai will not pay. This is a safety issue and I do not have the money to repair what I know is a defective part. I am extremely upset that they would not consider this an exception to the warranty rules, because it was never tampered with, only checked by the mechanic at the dealership and that is the only place I get it serviced. This is not normal wear and tear or a moving part and should last the life of the vehicle. And this is a serious issue.

On two occasions - 3 days apart - while braking to come to a stop, my 2008 Azera accelerated rapidly and only stopped when the car hit a pole and a curb. Damages were about $8,000. Only because of good luck, there was no personal injury. Police insisted that the car be checked by a registered mechanic. We returned to the dealer who replaced a faulty throttle position sensor - under warranty. Hyundai later claimed faulty TPS was not responsible for the uncontrolled acceleration. No other explanation was offered.

I purchased the 2013 Elantra in March 2014. The clutch seemed difficult to me but I hoped it would be okay, thinking it was probably just my imagination. Yesterday early AM the clutch went out completely. I gave up AAA for the Hyundai roadside and waited 4 miserable hours for them to tow me to the dealer...only to learn the clutch is not covered under their great Warranty. I was like a wild woman at that point...they did give me a loaner car but my problem is still pending with the Hyundai regional Office... I used the problems everyone else here is having as ammunition because if they dont cover the clutch...I am not taking the vehicle back...period...

HMA has tried to get a deposition fee of $450 from me the last 8 months without my knowledge. They have been quietly killing my credit with delinquency filings through my credit agency. No letters were sent. Yes, I know about the deposition fee, but it is waived if a customer buys a new lease. I bought two new leases! My local dealer explained it all to me. NO fee if you re lease a new car. I got two... Didnt matter to HMA. I fought with customer service and their response was that the new cars I received were purchased 4 months before the lease expired. Apparently in the small print, you only have a 60 day window before the lease ends to get that deposition fee waived. Ridiculous! This is not the way to treat a long time customer. I called my local dealer and they have been way more willing to help me with this, as it was their sales staff that that relayed all this information. Hopefully, with the help of my local dealer HMA will fix this issue and will also fix the damage done to my credit. Their customer service reps were very unhelpful and rude. After I had purchased these new leases, a problem arose where my VIN # had been mixed up with someone else at purchase. One day I walked into my garage where my Sonata was automatically started by their Bluelink system, garage door closed, garage full of fumes, almost killing my dog who was in there. HMA could not have cared any less of what had happened as I explained the situation. They blamed the local dealer, offered me a few Hyundai points (incredibly insulting), and went on their way. They actually stopped talking to me as I expressed that their points offering was insulting. I wanted to make sure this doesnt happen again to someone else, yet they would not return my calls. These experiences with HMA would actually be funny if it wasnt so sad and scary. Please stay far away from this company! Terrible and unethical business practices.

I have a 2014 Santa Fe Sport. At 27500 miles the car went in for its first turbo replacement. A month later another one. Then the engine, then another engine and turbo.... Last engine replacement they had my car for 69 days to end up charging me a portion of the rental which is supposed to be covered by warranty... They damaged my firewall, and then 2 weeks later the car is back in the shop for the same engine failures. They are refusing to fix my firewall which clearly they damaged taking the engine out of my car. Unreal... Worst car experience of my life. Oh.. and when I brought the car back, it was 5:30, they close at 6. I had to fight with them to even keep my car. Kendall Hyundai could care less about its customers. The company should be embarrassed how this location runs.

This is regarding the E.C.M. in I10 Sportz Kappa 1.2 model 2010 which has just crossed 10800 kms. As you can see it’s been used sparingly. Suddenly it was not starting. I called the Hyundai 24 hrs helpline service. They were not been able to assess the fault. Then I had to tow the vehicle to Hyundai service center paying RS1500 FOR NO FAULT OF MINE. Then I was informed after a day that it has e.c.m. problem and has to be replaced. My regret is that such a high end model has problem in the spare so soon as it has not even been driven 11000 kms and costing me RS35000. Do I have to pay for the faulty spare used by the company. I10 sucks as I have checked other reviews and to my shock, I came to know that they are other people suffering because of this problem. The worst part is that it was serviced just 7 days before the break down and they had charged more than 6500. It’s really sad to know that Hyundai is not able to maintain the quality. And we are the suffers. It’s like an elephant (car) whose maintenance cost of faulty parts (no fault of the customer) is more expensive than the elephant itself (car).

Please put signal/turn lights on the taillights and not just the back bumper. Other drivers are used to seeing blinkers right on tail lights and not on the bumper. I understand this key point makes Hyundai different from other car brands, but I feel the location of blinkers should be universal for all cars regardless of the brand for safety reasons.

End of last year Nov 2011, I decided to buy a new car for my wife. Considering the economy was not so good, we decided to find a car which has low fuel consumption in the category of 1.6 and below. After making various market survey with the explanation from salesman from various model, we decided to go for Hyundai i10 1.25. The consumption is around 18 to 22 km per litter according to the salesman and it is stated in the technical brochures 5.3/100km combine fuel consumption. Due to that, we bought the car. It was delivered to us on 21st of November 2011.On the first day of delivery when I drove the car home on the highway, the car suddenly stopped. Luckily, there was no car behind me. I started the car again and drove it and it has no power. Due to it is near by my house about 4 km, I decided to drive slowly back home and call for Hyundai technical people to take back the car. About half a day, the Hyundai tow car came and picked the car for repair. After about two days, the car was delivered back to me. I drove the car and it looked okay. The next day, I gave it to my wife to use it. About two weeks, my wife drove the car. She relished that the fuel consumption was very high. I took the car and make an official complaint to Hyundai. They check my vehicles and told me that it is not a problem. They also tell me that to send for the first service at 1,000 km.On 7th December 2011, I sent my car to Hyundai for the first service. I also complain about fuel consumption. After the service, I start recording the fuel consumption. From my reading and record, the fuel consumption at average is about 11.5km per litter. On 8 Jan 2012, I make another official complaint and Hyundai do a testing again and they said there is no problem. The technical guy said the fuel consumption is about 14km per litter. It is contradictory with the salesman and technical brochures as mentioned earlier. In this case, we feel that we being cheated by the Hyundai when the technical guy said it is about 14km per litter. The worst is the real consumption according to speedometer and my record, it is on average of 11.5km per litter.I made another official complaint on 30th of January 2012 during my second service. They made another try and said that it is okay about 14km per liter. I told them that I cannot get that mileage. They cannot explain to me further. I made another official complaint on 4th March 2012 and left the car for two weeks until 22nd March 2012 for them to check and give me the result. Unfortunately, when I received the car on 22nd March 2012, they did not make an attempt to check it until the last day they delivered to me, still cannot tell me the problem. I feel that Hyundai has cheated me.On 26th of March, I made another official complaint about it but until today, they did not contact me. For information, I have given the record and data of refueling and mileage reading to them. I do not know if they are interested to rectify the problem or they could not care less about it.

Hyundai Financing has to be one of the most incompetent companies Ive ever dealt with. We leased which we will NEVER do again and then we were buying a house. In order for us to get the FHA loan, we had to sell the car to get it out of my name EVEN though my company was paying for it. We had my mom get a loan and buy it from Hyundai Leasing. We mailed the check overnight. I waited two days and then started calling to make sure they received it. After 5 DAYS of calling constantly and talking to a different person in their call center every time, we finally got a document saying that the loan was paid in full and the balance was zero. The call center is not located where the check was and neither was the supervisors who are actually located in a complete different location as well. No one knew exactly where the check was. I had to contact FedEx to show that it had been delivered. I had supervisors making promises that they would send us a document of closure but never did. I have never been so ticked with a company before! Then we get a letter stating that the current credit union that is providing us with the loan has not received the title yet. Its been 4 weeks since the check was received and applied! I just called them and they said that they had not received the odometer disclosure statement. What the?!! Did anyone tell us about that document?! OF COURSE NOT! I love my car but I will never finance a car through them and I may never buy another one from Hyundai.

My wife and I purchased a brand new 2011 Hyundai Tucson based on the consumer safety ratings. We had a baby on the way so safety was important to us. On September 23rd 2011, six months after driving the vehicle off of the lot, I got a frantic call from my wife saying the car was smoking. I told her to pull over and I would come get her and we would call a tow truck.Within two minutes I received another call. This time the car, she told me, was engulfed in flames. Se narrowly escaped being trapped in the car, since the automatic locks were locking and unlocking in a ghostly manner and was trapped momentarily in the car, along with our 4 month old son, inhaling electrical smoke. Thankfully they both got out alive. The investigation concluded an electrical fire had started and the vehicle was a total loss. I have never experienced such rudeness on the phone as I attempted to contact many representatives from Hyundai Consumer Affairs. Hyundai is a disgusting company. They told us that Americas Best Warranty did not cover this. Never buy a Hyundai. Your life may depend on it.

Had a headlight out on 2011 Sonata. A new lamp from an aftermarket dealer did not work. Yet both the old lamp and the new one were tested and shown to be good. (I had a mechanic with me and he verified both lamps were good and could not provide an explanation why good lamps would not work). Took vehicle in to Burdick Hyundai, Onondaga County, NY. Manager gave me a lamp (Phillips) he said was bad, that that brand did not work out well in Hyundais, apparently being the one I had changed. I paid for the service and took the bad lamp back to the parts dealer. The parts dealer informed me they did not sell the lamp I was given - the lamps I had purchased were Sylvania. Called the parts manager who said the mechanic must have just given him the wrong bulb. Asked for the old lamp so I could get a refund from a parts dealer. Was told I had not asked for the old parts. Called me back once, did not call back as he stated he would the second time. In the meantime, I put the original old lamp back in the headlight and it worked. Something is wrong with this picture. The lamps would not work when I took it in, it works now, but the lamp I brought in cannot be located to check it. I am concerned they did warranty covered work and charged me for a bulb repair. I expected an explanation and when the parts manager did not call me back, I wrote to Hyundai. The amount is minor, but I do not like how the dealership and now Hyundai handled it. Hyundai Corporates response was not what I had expected. Hyundais Reply Sent at 7:28 PM. Relevant portion of the form letter below:...Please keep in mind while the dealerships are authorized to sell, and maintain our product, we are unable to influence how the dealerships conduct business, reach diagnosis or decide to retain old parts. The best way for you to resolve your concern about the diagnosis and headlamp in question is to bring it to the General Managers attention...In other words I read that as Hyundai is not responsible for the performance of their dealerships so complaining to Hyundai gets you a form letter and no action. Hyundai appears to back the dealership, not the customer. I assumed Hyundai would care as their name is on the vehicle. I was wrong. I suppose my issue is minor, but it appears to represent a corporate attitude that will not help you if you were to have a major complaint about a Hyundai dealership. Caveat emptor!

I just purchased a 2012 Accent. I drive 40 miles to work on the interstate every day. Once I reach 70 mph, my car starts to swerve to the point I almost run into the other lanes. When I try to correct the car, it gets worse. One time, I almost ran a car off the road. Terrified to drive, I took the car into the dealership and was told its my electric power steering. I was told theres nothing they could do to help me. They told me I need to get use to the sensitive steering. Seriously! I was told by the dealership the sensitive steering does not change even at high speeds. If I turn my steering wheel a little bit, my car will go in that direction very fast. This is very dangerous. Hyundai needs to fix this problem before someone gets hurt.

However, the service manager (Brandon) at Bronco Motors took a very active interest in my situation and followed up. This last week, he notified me that a new software patch had been released. He helped me set up an appointment for the update, and today I took it in and had the patch applied. Now, I need to see how this turns out over different driving scenarios, but my drive back and forth to work following the patch was spectacularly better. For the first time since I got the Tucson, the transmission functions like I would expect! Just yesterday, when it was very hot, the transmission acted up horribly. Today, even though it was still hot, the transmission performed perfectly. Like I said, Ill be a little skeptical until I see how it performs in a variety of situations, but for the first time, it didnt leave me feeling like it might let me down in the middle of an intersection! If your dealer hasnt reached out to you, give them a call and see if this newly released patch is for you.

The car drives fine, however am having a lot of issues with headlights and taillights having to be replaced. Not really happy with it. Headrests push head forward causing continual discomfort. Windshield angle makes it hard to clean windshield and dashboard. I also wish there were added wide view rear view mirror, or side mirrors that would show blind spots. Even so, I like having controls for my music on the steering wheel. Its a nice safety feature. I also like the number of miles/gallons feature. Nice to have a quick visual of how far you can still drive on the gas you have. Like the Bluetooth connection as well.

Hyundai Getz, repair of tail light - My partner recently cracked the plastic tail light on her car. Being a Hyundai, she took it to Hyundai in Brighton Victoria and was quoted $250 for the part and installation. It sounded steep so I bought the part from Repco ($60) and replaced it in about six minutes. I am no car expert. My dissatisfaction is that we were about to get ripped off by Hyundai. It makes me wonder why we would take the car for a service anywhere near Hyundai. There was absolutely no loyalty shown to us as Hyundai customers. I am not sure if Mazda or Holden would do the same, but this performance of customer service was appalling.

I purchased a brand new Hyundai Tucson Sport in December 2019 off the showroom floor. I paid cash for it. In February there was a clicking noise so I took it to the dealership. After diagnosis they said that a rod was coming loose and they would have to replace the motor. I only had 2000 miles on it. I should say Im 70 years old and I treat my vehicles with care. After replacing the motor it never ran right. I talked to the service manager and he lead me to believe that a rebuilt motor could have been put in it and could not confirm to me that it was a new motor. After taking it back due to low power I got frustrated with Hyundai and I traded it in at CarMax on another brand of SUV. Ill never own another Hyundai again.

I have been working with Hyundai on my Trip Reimbursement Case #**, and I have been appalled by how poorly the customer service is. This happened in Jan, I submitted, it was LOST internally by Hyundai, so I resubmitted in May, and I am now sitting August 2nd and still have not heard anything about it. Hyundai is a multi-billion dollar corporation, and they cannot reimburse me for the ~$750 worth of incurred expenses from a warranty claim they did for a $35,000 car? This is insane, I will never buy from Hyundai again, and I cannot believe they are still a company with this sub-par customer service. So even though I have called dozens of times, and sent countless emails, I assume Hyundai is going to give me the same response as before, NO RESPONSE. Do not shop with Hyundai unless you want to be thoroughly disappointed.

Hyundai is comfortable, gives a smooth ride and handles well. It has low maintenance obligations though it has high mileage. Seats are high to support knee issues. Love the heated seats and back seat temperature control. The 3rd row seating is handy for road trips with the grand kids. The sun roof was also a must for me and the grands! I got the most amenities without an exorbitant additional cost. However, it doesnt have Bluetooth or a back up camera. I also would like a steering wheel that heated up and that the 3rd row seats are raised up higher off the floor. Theyre so low that theyre only appropriate for small children. Nevertheless, its the best vehicle Ive ever owned!

I purchased my Hyundai Tucson when I lived in MA. I moved to NH a few months ago and now need to register my car there. I went to the DMV, filed the necessary paperwork, and the state sent this request in, as that is their process. This was in mid February. I received a phone call on March 14th from a representative from Hyundai that they needed me to call them back to confirm my new address. I called them back that evening. I gave them my account number and my new address. I was told that was all they needed and they could now start the process. I contacted the state of NH on March 21st to see if they received the title yet, and they said they had not, and they suggested that I call Hyundai to get an update.I called them that same day and I was told that the note in the system said they were waiting for me to call them back, which made no sense because I had done just that a week ago. I was also told that they could not give me any updates because thats what the note in the system says and if I call and speak to someone else, they will tell me the same thing. I waited two days and called back for an update. I got the same response and this time, I was told that the state of MA was holding things up because the title is an electronic title.Well, I had my insurance agent then contact the state of MA once I received that update and the state told her that Hyundai never sent in the request. So, of course, at this point I am livid. I called Hyundai back again and I was once again told about the note in the computer, even though at this point I had called 3 or 4 times. This new person that I spoke to now tells me that what is causing the issue is that the state of NH sent in the paperwork that I signed, instead of me sending it in. What?!It has now been 6 weeks and I am told that it could be another four weeks due to the process at Hyundai. I am outraged at this. The process should have been kicked off on March 14th when I called back with the information they were requesting. I dont understand how here it is April 3rd and they still havent even sent in the request to MA for the electronic title? Its really a simple matter. NH just needs the title so they can turn it into a NH title because that’s where I live now. I moved with my fiancé. He filed his paperwork the same day as me, the state sent it to his lien holder same day, and he was l set as of March 21st. His lien holder didnt give him any problems. They just processed the request as they should have.As soon as this is resolved, I am refinancing my loan with my fiancé’s lien holder. I am very unhappy with Hyundai Motor Finance and I would never recommend them to anyone. They have lost my business for sure.

This Hyundai car is just the right size, the amount of gas it burns is great, it gives a comfortable ride. There is plenty of room for passengers, the trunk is very large and great room for suit cases and groceries. Having front wheel drive and it handles well in the snow. Also, it has air conditioning, cruise control, CD player with an AM/FM radio, a five speed automatic, rear window defroster and keyless lock. Another feature is that the rear seats fold down allowing you to place big objects in the back, if the trunk is not big enough. The car also has driver and passenger side air bags. Though it did not have a spare tire it did have a tire inflator that can plug into an accessory socket. But I wish the car had a bigger engine because it lacks power and a rear camera would make it more easy to back up, it should also come with Bluetooth to make pairing with smart phones and MP3 players.

My Hyundai is a great low maintenance car that has good gas mileage. The size is just right without being too big. The interior is spacious with cloth seats which are preferable in the hot south. Seating was still roomy and I also liked the storage space. It was in silver tone which was also better for this climate. I chose model based on consumer and technical reviews. The price was just right for my budget and it came with roof rack. The Hyundai models are much improved these days. I think Hyundai has come a long way in building reasonably priced and sound vehicles that are dependable.

We just purchased a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy trim in Sep 21 because we loved that it had everything we were looking for in regards to safety, technology, and design. We paid $45k for it along with about $1,000 in fees and travel to pick it up. We were quite excited as this was our first brand new vehicle. 2 months into it, the transmission went bad and we brought it to Hyundai to find out whats going on as it was under warranty. Heres where things went further south.Hyundai cant get parts to fix their brand new cars...and on top of that, why would a transmission already be bad? It has sat on their lot since Nov 30th, 2021. Last week we just got an offer to buy back the vehicle for more than 4k less than what we just bought it for and drove it for two months. They stated that our state allows for depreciation in Missouri for lemon laws and they cant help us, it is what it is. During this time, cars have gone up because dealers are now charging a mark up fee, so although they can claim depreciation, we cant claim appreciation on the car. So to get the same exact car we just bought, we now will have to pay 4-8k more for equivalent. Its horrible. And just for a buyer beware situation, Hyundai will no longer replace your car with an equivalent one substitution for collateral equity. They stopped replacing them with like cars because theyre manufacturing so few that anything they make has to go to dealers to get top value for them.Point being for this review is that although Hyundai makes a great car much of the time, if you have any problems at all, there are concerns of finding parts for repairs, and if its unrepairable, plan on a huge deduction for a buyback. Good luck out there from a very unhappy customer who just lost 4-8k on a brand new vehicle, and now I have to go find a replacement on my own.

Ira ** at Camelback Hyundai service department is a service manager that could have done things differently today and actually helped a customer, but instead, he chose to not agree with the customer. In my case, I bought a Honda Sonata back in 2016 from Camelback Hyundai and my skid plate on my car came undone about 3 months ago. And instead of replacing the plate and damaged part they chose to use zip ties instead. The other day I was driving home from work and what would you know, those ties came loose and the plate fell. This time it completely came off along with the right wheel well cover leaving me on the freeway with rush hour traffic trying to get it without getting hit. He didnt even keep in mind or even consider that my life was at risk trying to retrieve a part.Today they told me that they would not replace the plate as it was not of their doing, but see it was because they didnt properly secure it the first time, instead they used zip ties instead of real fasteners. This is the email I received from Ira today stating, The temporary repairs lasted an excess of 8,000 miles, I would say you got your money’s worth which was zero cost to you, the consumer. WOW! As you can see they failed to replace the part and could have fixed this in the first place as he even stated temporary fix.I have a warranty on the vehicle, yet this is a supposed part that is not covered even though it is used to protect the engine from debris and keep other parts from damage. I am sorry Ira but you have failed in your customer service department. And instead of helping a customer with something that should have been covered you chose to present me with a cost for something that I had no control over, something you as a service department should have fixed right the first time. I will not be using Camelback Hyundai for any service from here on out and warn others to stay away as they dont truly care about the customer. This is how I received my car back today with missing clips that could have been secured and a hazard to me as a driver on the road.

My wife got scammed on a lease at a disgraceful Hyundai dealership in Gurnee, IL (avoid at ALL COSTS). She ending up overpaying by $7,000 on a Kona for no reason. The Kona which she was going to buy outright until they convinced her to lease, should have been $24,445. Its on Hyundais website. She ended up paying over $32,000 before tax on the lease. We complained to Hyundai customer service, but were told that there was nothing they would do to help. As such, we will never be buying a Hyundai again and will be recommending to our friends and family the they avoid them also. Although its not Hyundais fault that my wife got scammed, if they are allowing scammers to sell their product then they are culpable. It is a shame because we previously had a Hyundai and had been happy with it. If they are unwilling to help their customers however then we are unwilling to be their customers.

I am writing to complain about a manufacturing defect I have since I bought
I am writing to complain about a manufacturing defect I have since I bought a brand new Verna 1500cc in 2006 from Ghabbour in Egypt. The level of motor oil goes to minimum after 2000 to 3000 km. With no reason, the car was sent 3 times to Ghabbour main centers in Abourawash an Kaliuob and each time, it took them between 2 to 5 days. They said it was fixed but the defect is still there. I have no hope in Ghabbour and I stopped going there after I reached 50,000 (warranty) with no fix of the defect. I got a feedback from the market that during 2005-2006, Verna local production had this oil defect and the solution is replacing the motor, but they did not do that and let me suffer. Until now, I have to check the motor oil each 2000 km and add more oil to avoid motor problems. 10 days ago, I had another shock with a Hyundai service center in Egypt. I went for a major maintenance (with changing all fuel tube tree) but after I took the car, I found a problem in acceleration. I went back to them and they told me that a motor sensor need replacement. I went to another non-Hyundai general service center and they told me that the fuel tube tree was fixed in a wrong way, and this has no relation to the motor sensor. Now, I have no trust in Hyundai in Egypt. Even though I want to sell the car, I found out that I will have to go down 20% less than the market price because of the manufacturing defect it has as it needs a new motor. So I have lost my money and my time because of my wrong choice by choosing to buy this measurable car, and now I am experiencing acceleration problems because of the Hyundai service centers bad quality in fixing the fuel tree. It is very disappointing and frustrating to have this experience. I met a service manager in Audi who advised me to write to Hyundai HQ about this, and i am doing it now with no hope after all what I have experienced in the last 5 years with Hyundai in Egypt. During the last 3 years, when somebody asked me about what car to buy, I strongly recommended to not go for Hyundai in Egypt as if the car will have a manufacturing defect, it will not be fixed and you will be losing tour time, money and even safety. This is based on my experience and other peoples experience when I met them in Hyundais main service center during the 3 times I sent the car there to fix the manufacturing defect during 2006-2008. Again, with no hope, I am writing this and hope that this will make you be aware about the bad practice by Ghabbour here in Egypt; that one day will affect you sooner or later. I will help in building a community for customers who suffered from Hyundai in Egypt to bring the real image of Hyundai in Egypt to people who are thinking about buying a Hyundai in Egypt.

I bought four units of Hyundai Starex at my country, Malaysia. My Hyundai Starex MPVs were registered under Malaysia numbers. Whenever I made a turn, the vehicle is moving and it is becoming dangerous. I also have problems with the aircon compressor. My question is, are these two items still under warranty?Malaysia Hyundais slogan is very attractive: Warranty under 3 years or 300,000 miles. She assured me that she was taking care of that as we were speaking and that it would not happen. You can see where this is going. When I called Hyundai they said that the girl I had talked to had obviously overstepped her bounds (???). I told them that if I knew they could not stop the payment draw, I would have just my the December payment and then transferred the January payment into his checking accounts. When I asked about getting the draw reversed, they said (ready for this) it would take a minimum of 15 DAYS. I told them never mind, just leave it for the February payment. 2013 Hyundai Sonata - Defective Steering Wheel Locking. Few weeks ago, my sister suffered a fatal accident caused by a defective Hyundai Sonata steering wheel locking while she was driving on the highway. As a result, she suffered a severe vertebrae injury, taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance, hospitalized and treated for days, and has only recently started physical therapy. Medical bill and treatment costs till now well over $100K, even with health insurance. Inability to work for over 6 months. Immobility and discomfort. The list goes on and on. Anyone else in this unfortunate situation or has heard of similar accidents caused by a defective steering wheel? What do we do? What can we do?

I had a rotten experience with service. My brand new vehicle started to rust in the trunk immediately after I bought it. I took it to service. They identified the problem. They tried to correct it and it didnt work. It took so long that by the time they came up with a solution they told me my warranty was up. They just said, Sorry these things happen and in the end I would never endorse anybody to go to Hyundai Canada with this kind of service and product.

Our second & last Hyundai. Car hesitates & bucks very bad from a full stop. Fuel gage not accurate at all. According to brochure car has a 16.4 gallon fuel tank, but when you go to fill it only takes about 9-10 gallons after low fuel indicator reads 30 miles or so to empty. Took car to Obrien Hyundai of Fort Myers shortly after purchase & given a runaround about problem. Told by service writer that there was no code displayed.Talked to 2 independent mechanics who both said it sounds like the fuel pick up or sending unit is either bad or loose in fuel tank. Filled out complaint form with Hyundai USA, called back a week later & was told someone would contact me. No one ever contacted me. After another 2 weeks called Hyundai & was told issue was not escalated because problem did not sound serious enough. Finally contacted Hyundai USA customer service who agreed to escalate case.

I bought a 2013 Hyundai Elantra For $8999 with 83,000 miles on it in January 2018. Today is March 20, 2018 and the car needs a new engine. They will not replace the engine. I took it to Morrie’s Hyundai to fix and they refused to fix it saying Hyundai corporate refuses to fix the engine because I am 2nd owner of the car that the 100,000 mile warranty does not apply. Who has allowed them to make and sell cars, take peoples money and not honor the warranty. It’s a crime that needs the law to look at this. I have a car loan on a dead car not even worth enough to trade for another. I want the engine fixed or my money back or at least replace the car.

My wife and I finance a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. We have three small children and this is our only means of transportation someday a because my car is a junk box and doesnt work all the time. Being that this is our only car my wife is very very much on top of it, she takes it for oil changes when and even before it is due. We had gotten a recall in regards to the steering column and decided that the dealer we normally use (formally Brad Benson Hyundai, now DCN) is inconvenient being that its so far away and thought we would get the same workmanship that we have received in the past if we brought it to a closer location. We were so wrong. First, after the first recall they did not have a loaner car, so we relied on friends and family for a day or so. After picking up the car from freehold Hyundai, we noticed the steering was looser than usual and it had a knocking noise when the wheel was being turned. We called back FREEHOLD Hyundai and they said there was nothing wrong, so in that same day we continued driving. For about the three hours we had the car the engine was giving out on us... Again something unusual that was not there before we brought it in. So I said forget this. Im bringing it back to where it just came from. We went to FREEHOLD Hyundai and told them we cant drive the car like this... The servicemen named Issac was a bit understanding but not very because he kept telling us the steering was absolutely fine. They hold the car and the next day or so they called us and told us that our engine had caught fire... So heres what it is. I gave them a perfectly working car, and bring it to this chop shop and I get it back and my steering is all screwed up and then my engine just catches fire?? Im sorry but I call **. They have terrible mechanics at this shop and I believe, I firmly believe that they screwed something up as far as the engine is concerned and used the cover up that the engine caught fire because they knew there was a class action lawsuit against Hyundai for having engines going on fire after a certain amount of time. We were told at first that our engine wasnt going to be fixed for a few months because they were on back order because so many car engines were catching fire. So they did the right thing and issued my wife and I a loaner car for the time being. A month had gone by and we gotten news that my 8 year old son would need open heart surgery. Then someone posted a negative review about them not having a loaner car and we magically get a call the next day or so that our engine had been replaced and that we have something of theirs, and they have something of ours and we NEEDED to go and get our car. Thats not all. After giving this dealership a chance to redeem itself by trying to contact the man in charge of vehicle service, they wanted us to pay 1000 dollars to get everything fixed. Oh I forgot to mention that the power lock button was broken off and my cruise control stopped working all by itself!!! Isnt that magical??? We brought it to our own mechanic and he said that its a bushing on the steering column and is about 500 dollars to replace to the labor it requires. We have been back and forth with Hyundai the corporation for an entire week, with no resolution... Absolutely no idea from anyone to get the work done to get my wife and I our car back. So our car went in for a recall repair in July/August and it is now Oct going into November and I still dont have a car or any way to fix this. The corporation isnt working with me and the dealer is refusing to acknowledge any wrongdoing on their part. So here we stand, a minor recall turns into a disaster. We have tree kids one of whom was in the hospital in Queens NY and we live in NJ and no car!!! And no help... So heres what youre gonna do... Youre gonna go search cars companies that have exquisite customer satisfaction... And stay as far away from this ** of a company as you can. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT buy a car from this company and especially stay as far away from FREEHOLD NJ Hyundai dealership. Its terrible and they have terrible and inferior people working there.

This morning, my husband goes into the garage and notices all the lights are on on the car. Headlights dash is lit up and brake lights are on. He thinks I left the lights on and goes to flip the switch, nothing, so he starts the car, turns the car off, the electrical goes off but engine continues to run with no key in the ignition. In order to shut off the car, he has to pull the fuse for the fuel pump. He then disconnected the battery, waited for an hour reconnected battery and guess what, the electrical is all lit up again with nothing and I mean nothing in the ignition. So he once again disconnects the battery and we wait.4 hrs later, I reconnect the battery, the electrical is still all lit up but now a new issue. Something caught fire under the cup holders and melted the cup holders and guess what, I am out a car. I broke the 100k yesterday. I have 3 payments left and nothing able to do about it. After reading 900 plus comments on here and googling anything similar to this, I FOUND nothing. When I called the dealership, the first thing out of their mouths was its out of warranty, the entire electrical will need to be replaced, and 3 are you sure it was the car running and not the fan... Will never ever own another Hyundai again.

I bought the 2011 Hyundai Elantra in November 2016 with the goal of keeping it till death do us part. I have always had that approach with cars. Well, the Crown Hyundai in St. Pete Florida failed to disclose of a clicking engine noise. On top of that, they did not fix the mandatory recalls until after I told them! Additionally, there is the whole issue of the steering coupler with ALL Hyundais. They do not disclose, inform you, notify you (dealer or corporate) in any way of the steering coupler issue, but your alignment, tires, other parts will suffer and you will pay THOUSANDS! My 40,000 warranty tires blew on the highway after 25,000 miles only! Plus, the whole tire size issue. The only size tires that fit into the Elantra only last 35,000-40,000 miles tops. So, if you drive average, you will replace tires every 2 years -- more expenses for you! This car is a DISASTER, and the customer service at the corporate level is horrible. CHECK THE LAWSUITS. STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPANY.

My engine light came on when the car had about 70000 km. I checked and no oil. I towed the car in and after a week, Streetsville Hyundai told me that it was the oil pump building up pressure and forcing all the oil out of the engine. They assured me that replacing it will solve the problem. BTW, during this repair, I was also told that the alternator belt and the steering belt were all cracked and needs replacement at my cost. I have never heard of this happening in a car that is only 3 years old. 2 weeks later I noticed the car had problem picking up speed while changing gear and would rev to 5-6K before kicking in. 3 days later, the engine light came on again and no oil again. This time apparently the whole engine needs to be replaced because something in it is completely broken when they took the engine apart. After taking my whole car apart for diagnostic, I was told that my clutch was also completely burned out because I was riding the clutch. This is my third standard cars. The first one lasted 11 years with almost 200 K without a new clutch. The second one was 8 years old with 160K when I traded in without ever changing clutch. They are machining my flywheel and changing only the clutch disk and wanted to charge me $500 for parts only. First of all, I am convinced that my driving habits were not responsible for the clutch burning and second parts only should not come anywhere close to $500. I am sure that the problem was caused by the engine. I checked and learned that if there is oil on the clutch, it can cause slippage and burn my clutch. Still arguing with Hyundai warranty. I have to agree with everyone that Hyundai warranty service is not very helpful at all when you call them to address the issue.

I changed from electronic bills to paper bills so I can mail my payment in to them rather than pay a fee from Western Union to make a one time payment. I recently sent my 2010 AWD to repair the front ends because of it being very noisy. I had the rotors change and brake pads changed and the suspension link fixed. When I got the vehicle, it drove just perfect. It cost me over $500.00 to fix the front ends. No noise and felt very firm. About 2 weeks after, the noise started again like it was never fixed. I took my 2011 Hyundai Sonata into the Hyundai dealer service center with a problem on my auxiliary plug. I used a 3.5 mm auxiliary cable to connect my iPod to the car. After a couple of months, the cable had bad connection. Due to that problem, I bought a new auxiliary cable but the cable wasnt the problem. The problem was the 3.5 mm jack that is on the car. I brought my car to the dealer but they said they couldnt do anything since I didnt use OEM Hyundai auxiliary cable even though they knew the problem. So I bought the OEM cable, but after few months it didnt work well. So I brought my car to the dealer and one of the staff brought three other staffs to check if the jack or the cable was defected; they all said there was no problem. Also, it is very obvious that their staff would say there is no problem. I am highly unsatisfied from this experience. I cannot enjoy my music in my brand new Hyundai Sonata. I should have my audio jack replaced with a new part and refund on the cable.

I bought a 2012 Hyundai Tucson on Jan 2018 with only 50k miles on it and in great condition. I have kept up with the regular services. Last week with just over 100k miles (right after the warranty expired) a huge hole blew in my engine while I was driving 70mph down the highway. I had an oil change two weeks prior, so thought maybe they messed something up, but I had the car towed into a shop and they said there was still oil in the engine but there was a huge hole, indicating that it was faulty manufacturing. But since the warranty expired, I am out of luck. I went online to see if there is anything I can do, only to find out that tons of other 2012 Tucson drivers have experienced the same exact thing happening and that there is a class action lawsuit against Kia and Hyundai, but that this particular year of Tucson was not included. I had the engine recall service at Hyundai back on Oct 2019 and kept up with oil changes. This is clearly a manufacturer issue and they need to take responsibility to fix these models as well. I will be looking into how to get these models included in the lawsuit, or start a new one. I thought these were good cars, but now see that they are not made well and arent safe at all.

In August 2015, I purchased a 2015 Hyundai Tucson in 2015. I have had all routine maintenance done and the car has 86,000 miles on it. No mechanic has ever told me of any engine issues or potential engine issues. Two weeks ago, I was driving home at 10:00 PM. Without warning, my engine seized and my car stalled in the middle of a very busy, dangerous intersection. Thanks to the assistance of my father and a good Samaritan, I was able to get my car out of the road and I was able to get safely home. However, this had the potential to be extremely dangerous for myself and other drivers on the road.I took my car to a local Hyundai dealership and I was told by a certified Hyundai mechanic that I would need a new engine. I immediately contacted the Hyundai Customer Care Center and I was told that because I am not the original owner, they will not honor the 10-year/100,000 mile warranty. I was told they might honor the limited warranty, but I would need to come up with records of every oil change I have had on the car. Other than that, they have been of no assistance to me. I am beyond frustrated and furious at this point. This is not an issue of user error, this is clearly a defect on the part of the manufacturer and they should be the ones resolve the problem. I consider myself an informed consumer, and I would not have purchased this car if I had known this was a possibility.

So while I was moving, I opened and then closed it again but while I was closing it, the lock mechanism engaged and as it was about to latch and lock, it bounced back open. So I quickly reached for it to grab it as a vehicle was approaching. I was in a parking lot at the time traveling at about 15mph. It had swung open so far that when I reached for it, my momentum shifted in such a way that I actually fell out of the car landing on the pavement. I was traveling at about 15mph. GC 2013 3.8 Track (Love Car cant say the same for Company) - On Saturday, April 16th, 2016 I went to Balise Hyundai to have my vehicle serviced and to address my concerns about the paint peeling on the front bumper near the hood of the car. I showed the peeling paint to the service advisor Phil ** who took pictures of my front bumper and stated that he would pass them along to the person who handles warranty claims. Phil explained that I would need to come back to Balise Hyundai during the week to have my concerns addressed. It is important to note taking time off during the week was not feasible during that time due to the structure of my current role and the responsibilities it entails. On Wednesday May 11th, 2016 I brought my vehicle to Balise Hyundai and showed the bumper to Bob ** (Service Director) who immediately began to tell me that my warranty didnt cover the damage and that it appeared as if the bumper was painted over or that something had spilled on it and therefore was not Hyundais responsibility to cover. Bob proceeded to take pictures while he instructed his co-worker Stephanie to gather some info on my vehicle. After a few minutes of both Bob and Stephanie examining my vehicle, I asked Stephanie to update me on what was being discussed. She stated that I was not under warranty for paint as my car was three years old. I told her that while my car was a 2013, I did not begin my lease until September of 2013. She then asked me about the mileage which I told her was less than 36,000 miles. Another 5 to 10 minutes of conversation with Bob yielded a plethora of biased assumptions that I found to be quite concerning. Bob ** insinuated I caused the damage to my vehicle. I left Balise Hyundai and then called Hyundai Motor America to report my warranty claim and ask questions. At that point, the integrity of Bob ** was in question and I was concerned that Bob would intentionally fail to submit the warranty claim and tell me it was not covered or submit the claim filled with biased narrative and minimal facts. I spoke with a Genesis representative named Christina (case #**) and she explained to me that she would look into it and contact Balise Hyundai to follow-up. Christina said she would call me back that day to update me however I never received a call. Later that day I was set to travel out of the country for two weeks. On Thursday, May 26th, 2016 I contacted Hyundai Motor America to follow up regarding my warranty claim. I explained that I had not heard from Bob or Stephanie about next steps. On Friday, May 27th, 2016 I received a call from Stephanie who left a voicemail stating that Hyundai wanted me to take my vehicle to the Balise repair shop to get an estimate of the damage. Upon hearing the message left by Stephanie I called her back and was unable to speak to her directly. I left a detailed voicemail inquiring about the arrangement of a specific date/time to bring the car for an estimate. Stephanie never responded to my message. On Saturday, June 4th, 2016 I brought the vehicle to Balise to get the estimate and was told that the repair shop is only open during the week. I spoke with General Manager Brian ** who told me to email him pictures of the paint concerns and that he would get an estimate for me on Monday and send me the quote. (See attached photos) On Tuesday, June 7th, 2016 Brian emailed me stating that a rep is coming today and will see if he approves the work. Estimate is $1,300. On Wednesday, June 8th, 2016 I emailed Brian back and ask him if the rep would be calling me directly to let me know the decision concerning my car. Brian emailed me back informing me that it was decided that my hood would not be covered but that the decision to repaint the bumper hadnt been made yet. On Friday, June 10th, 2016 I emailed Brian to find out how long it would be to determine if my bumper was going to be covered under warranty. He replied back confirming it would be 7 to 10 business days. On Tuesday, June 21st, 2016 I emailed Brian seeking an update on the pending situation. I received no reply. On Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 I receive a voicemail from Bob ** stating that he wanted me to return his call because Consumer Affairs wanted a factory rep to look at my vehicle. He also stated the rep would be at Balise on Thursday (the very next day). I called Bob back to arrange the time for the factory rep to see my vehicle. I explained to Bob that I worked and that he was giving me very short notice. I asked if I could schedule something for Friday or the week after and Bob told me that the Factory rep only comes once a month and that if I didnt come tomorrow (Thursday) it would be next month before another meeting could be arranged. On Thursday, June 30th, 2016 I arrived at Balise at approximately 7:30 am which was the agreed time slot. This time was chosen as it was early enough for business to be handled and ensured Id make it to work on time. The factory rep showed up after 7:30 am and while I sat in the waiting area Bob failed to inform me that the factory rep arrived. At around 7:50 am I went to find Bob to inquire about the factory rep. That is when I was informed that Loi **, Eastern Region District Parts & Service Manager was already looking at my car. When I approached Loi he informed me that he was checking to see if there was any report of an accident concerning my car. After a few minutes, Loi approached me and told me that the bumper damage was going to be covered but not the chipped paint on the hood of the car. I was then instructed to go to the Balise repair shop and schedule a date to have my car brought in for repair. I followed those instructions and spoke with the Collision Repair Manager, Tim **. We agreed to have the bumper painted on July 11th, 2016 and he told me that it would take two days.On Monday, July 11th, 2016 I brought my car to Balise repair. To my surprise, I then had to rent a car from Enterprise because Balise Hyundai stated that they didnt have any loaners. They also informed me that even if they did have loaners, it would cost me. Over the course of two days, it cost me $60 to rent the car from Enterprise. On July 13th, 2016 I returned to Balise to pick up my car but was told that it was not ready. I was then left to rent a vehicle for another day. For my inconvenience, Jim ** who works for Balise Collision Repair agreed to cover the rental cost for that day.On July 14th, 2016 I returned to Balise to pick-up my car and was astonished by what I saw. I spoke with Balise Collision Repair Appraiser, Jesse ** about the fact that the color of the bumper that was painted did not match the color of the rest of the vehicle! During my conversation with Jesse, he informed me that prior to beginning the paint job he called over to Bob ** and asked about blending the paint into the hood and the fender to prevent the noticeable color difference. He was told by Bob to only paint the bumper. Jesse explained to me that the color difference was typical with the type of paint on my car and that during most repairs to assure that the color matches the other parts of the car they blend into the other areas. (See attached photos)I havent yet heard about whether or not I will be reimbursed or receive credit towards my monthly payment. When I followed-up with Hyundai Motor Finance about my situation was I essential told sorry for your troubles. You still must pay your monthly bill and if we dont receive payment we will repo your car. It will be auctioned and all accrued expenses will be your responsibility. Moral of this story: Dont buy Hyundai as their Customer Service is horrible and they dont care about loyal customers.

I am extremely disappointed by the way Hyundai USA decided to handle my handsfree case. This issue was present since day 1 of us purchasing the vehicle in 2017. I spent a lot of my time at home and away from work troubleshooting and sending several audio recordings to the company and have been able to reproduce the issue with every single phone call, however the dealership kept the vehicle for several hours and returned it back stating we dont see a problem. I purchased a new phone, and switched 3 different carries, however the problem never went away. I am extremely saddened by Hyundais lack of ownership of the issue. The least Hyundai could do is try to replace the radio or the microphone to eliminate the issue, instead Hyundai decided to close the case. However, after this experience, I will be taking my business to a company that stands behind their customers. It is such a shame for the entire Hyundai team that they wont stand behind the customer and fix something that is still under warranty.

I have owned my 2012 Sonata for 1 yr and 10 months. The chrome trim on the hood was noted to be bubbling up, when I took it for its 60K mile maintenance. Its not rust, but rather bumps coming up on the trim work. Definitely a workmanship/manufacturer issue. I paid extra for the best warranty I could get when I bought the car. Incidentally my warranty was extra at the time and not part of the special 10yr /100k they offered later. I paid around $2K extra for it. The dealership stated they would see if the corporate office would cover it because now they say the trim is not included in the bumper to bumper 10yr/100K warranty but for only 3yr/36K! How can they change the rules?? The corporate office stated they would not cover it. The service representative said the dealership might cover it under Goodwill. However he called today to tell me they wont cover it either! Guess they have no Goodwill there. (The dealership that lacks goodwill is Carl Gregory in Brunswick, Georgia.) So what about my Everything warranty?? The point is it should have been covered. Who wants to buy a car from a company that doesnt stand behind their warranty or their words? Secondly who wants a car that falls apart at 1 yr and 10 months!!? Not even halfway through most car payments. I am upset and stuck with my Hyundai Junk and I wont be buying a Hyundai again. They are not a reputable company. (Just got sued yesterday for $100 million lying about their emissions.) Beware!

We purchased a Hyundai Elantra in 2009 hoping to get at least 100,000 miles value, but to my disappointment the transmission went after 75,000 miles thankfully was still under warranty. 10,000 miles later the motor in the power steering has gone, which when we went to dealer they informed us the 10yr/100,000 mile warranty does not cover this only transmission & engine, so their bumper to bumper warranty is false. Our personal mechanic has informed us that this is happening frequently. Why has there been no safety re-call? Does some tragedy have to occur before this is a safety recall?

Hyundai bluelink causes my 2015 Genesis Sedan to randomly start and unlock itself. I spent months trying to resolve this issue with Hyundai and they offered no help. They randomly called after not receiving any contact and said the issue was fixed. Didnt offer any help and kept asking me to pay more money to extend services I didnt need.

I purchased a new 2009 Sonata Limited 4/08. Now, it has approx. 23,500 miles. Months back, I discovered an item I now need (that was supposed to be on the car) was not there. Although I was told and given a valet key that the manual states leaving the sub key with a parking attendant will ensure that your vehicles trunk, trunk like release, glove box compartment and rear trunk access may not be unlocked in your absence, the information and manual are not correct. The valet system locks were never installed. This never came to my attention until some time back when I had major back surgery and could no longer lift items from the trunk (that cannot be secured) until I could find someone to do it for me. This means I must drive around with items in the trunk that are not secured. Hyundai Consumer Affairs has offered many excuses - such as:1. Company decided child safety hazard and stopped installing them - not correct2. The locks are there and you just need to go to the dealer and they will locate them for you. - Service Mgr & Asst. looked for them and when they could not find them told me some cars come down the line with things left off other cars of the same model. Warranty dept. then asked me to visit a different dealer to locate.3. One email reads, Your vehicle would have come with 2 keys, one that can lock/unlock the the trunk and glove box and the other to give to a valet attendant so they can park the vehicle. - I received from the dealership 3 keys - 2 regular and 1 valet with the explanation that it would do as the manual states above.4. NHTSA action number 10025822 issued 9/9/08 - four months after car purchased reads - Hyundai owners manuals for all 2009 Sonata vehicles contain incorrect information regarding sub key (valet key) operations. Until a printing revision is implemented, manuals will need to have the sticker overlays installed. No sticker overlay could have been installed as the car was purchased 4 months earlier than the bulletin date. Sales department misrepresented the car as they werent even knowledgeable about the missing locks.Theres absolutely no satisfaction from Hyundai. With my physical condition, it now looks like I will have to purchase a different make car. I believe Hyundai should work out something with me on this car. To date they have no interest.

2008 Hyundai Sonata - I was driving to the coast and went to pass a vehicle and the gas pedal stuck, the brakes wouldnt work and lucky there were no cars and a empty field and I was driving in circles. Finally turned engine off and waited. Got out, checked car out, decided to start it back up, drive it a little ways. All was fine. It pissed me off. Hyundai took it in, looked at it, said they couldnt find a problem. That was a big problem but they say no issues. BS.

We needed roadside assistance since our car stop. The person sent was in a regular car and not under any towing service company. Very unprofessional. The person who gave us a jump start did it backward three times causing our car to set off an alarm and causing a surge charge to our car. Blew a fuse and the IMP box was fried. Now no one wants to take responsibility for the wrongdoing and $520.00 later and to top it off Im a suspect in this whole ordeal since the car was towed Sunday 2:33 am to our home and not towed to the dealer until Monday morning. So much for trust in services you pay for.Im canceling my service with them and make sure that I let people know how poorly I was treated and even accused of tampering with my own car. Really WTH, why would I try to fix something I have no idea how it works especially when the moron who charges my car wrong three times told us it was the alternator that was bad? My trust in Humans right now is not very a good one. Ill trust my dog better.

We have been happy Hyundai customers for many years. Earlier in the year, we were noticing that our Genesis was sporadically pulling to one side. We took it to our car to Chapman Hyundai in Phoenix, AZ - the dealership we purchased the car and loyally worked with them on all of our service needs. They couldnt recreate the issue, so they returned the car to us. We continue to have incidences of this happen again, so took the car back. They did a wheel alignment. It didnt solve the problem. In June I lost control of the car when coming off the highway. I feared that I would not be able to stop at the bottom of the off-ramp, which would have resulted in a major accident. Fortunately, I was able to regain control and stop the car in time.We tried to make an appointment with the dealership, but there was a 2-week wait, so we took it to a local repair shop because we were afraid to drive the car and couldnt be without it for 2 weeks. They quickly saw that all 4 control arms had major cracks in them. They replaced them. They said that this issue should have been detected by the dealership mechanics since the cracks were quite large. This doesnt happen overnight. They also suggested there may be another issue that should be watched if the pulling should happen again. I contacted Hyundai Consumer Affairs to report this situation on June 2nd. I was told that I would hear back from a case manager within 10 days. I was finally contacted (after repeatedly calling, sitting on hold, waiting, and waiting) on July 14th. The case manager immediately told us that there was nothing she could do as far as reimbursement of the over $3500 of costs we incurred at an independent garage because the car wasnt repaired by a certified Hyundai mechanic. I stressed our lack of faith in the technicians, stressed the risk I was put in, and threatened to go viral with my story. She came back 5 days later saying that the company would reimburse me for the cost of parts only - however, I had to take the car to a dealership for them to make sure the work was done properly. She wanted me to pay for this service while taking MORE time off work - not having a car. She called me back 2 days later to see if I was going to accept the offer even though I told her it wasnt fair that I had to pay for the service call as well as everything else Ive been dealing with. She called me back - as promised - on July 22nd. I was unavailable to take her call. Since then I have left multiple messages/emails with her with no response. The pulling issue still persists to this day. On August 4th we scheduled a service call with a different Hyundai dealership. Again, we have to wait 2 weeks for our appointment. Were left with an unsafe car, no response from the company, and no sight in end to this issue. When my husband had car issues with his Acura, they had to wait 2 weeks to get the necessary part that was draining our battery. They provided us with a loaner so we werent inconvenienced and kept us updated on the status of the part. Thats customer service. Maybe Hyundai needs to look at its competitors and learn how to treat people properly.

I purchased a 2005 Hyundai XG350 from the dealer. The airbag light came on shortly after I go the car. The car has been back to the dealer approximately 15 times for service as the light comes back on shortly after every repair. While the dealer has done everything they know how to do, Hyundai will not acknowledge a widespread problem the airbag systems in this car.

I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata.. Have had a ton of recalls that I have had to waste a ton of time at the dealership to get fixed. At little over 100,000 miles my engine started burning not leaking oil.. Brought it to Darcy hyundai in Joliet il... Told me I have to do an oil consumption test which I had to go there 6 more times to find out engine is burning oil.. Every mechanic told me I need a new engine but corporate hyundai even though they have had lawsuits over this make and model engine tells me I have to spend 1000.00 to do more tests... Every week I have to refill oil so there is oil in the engine and few months later catalytic converter goes bad because of the oil burning which car stopped running on the expressway and had to get it towed... 1 problem after another problem... Corporate hyundai tells me Im on my own and the converter costs over 1000.00 even tho the engine in that car was proven in court to be bad and replacing converter would not solve the original problem of the engine burning oil.... Stay away from hyundai or you will regret it.

My husband is a full time Uber driver & his income is extremely important for us because with my part time job we can’t afford to pay the our bills. Everything was quite good since he drove Hyundai Ioniq hybrid 2017 which helped us a lot to spend less on fuel but one day suddenly the car stopped without any warning sign and the Hyundai Kitchener towed it and we were advised that it’s a recall for Hybrid system so we thought it will take a week or two but omg it has been 4 months we didn’t get our car back! Since this car was everything for us and my husband couldn’t do Uber with a rental car it has been 4 minutes we lost the income. He called thousand times for help & complain about the service to Hyundai Canada but they didn’t give a **, instead we were insulted that you should know the rules. We can’t do anything! We talked with a lawyer to sue the company for the income loss but the lawyer said these giant companies are protected by law we can’t help you. Seriously??We bought this brand new car so expensive to face this day? We are facing a lot of problems and the loss of income for four months for a middle class family is the worst thing.. I’m writing this only to inform you people be very careful before purchasing any car from Hyundai, they don’t value their customers and treat you like **.. now I’m not gonna stop this complain and will even call some tv channels to show the reality of this company because the money we bought this car that was our ten years saving and lost everything. The worst company with worst service and very bad management with bad quality cars.

My 2020 Elantra SEL is not even a year old yet, it has 5,000 miles. I brought it in for routine oil change and to get my tail light fixed (btw that broke with no warning after I went through a car wash but anyway). I see there is a recall so I get that checked as well only to find out my car has failed the recall and needs a brand new engine installed. It will take 4-6 weeks MINIMUM. I am going on a long drive in 10 days to visit a sick family member. I need my car. I also need it for work.I am in disbelief that this car is under a year old and needs a brand new engine. That is literally the most insane thing Ive ever heard in my life. I have already been without a car for several days and now I find out I wont have my car for 4-6 weeks?? I will be in a rental. This is causing me an enormous amount of stress and is inconveniencing me beyond belief. Not to mention all this time I have been driving a literal death trap. It could have caught fire at any moment. I am literally trying not to think about that for my own mental health. Imagine if I did not manage to get my car serviced before my long trip and it exploded on the road and killed me or someone I love. I am truly beside myself at how bad of a company Hyundai is. I want them to contact me and let me know how they will make this right. For starters, I expect a reimbursement on my car payment for the time I will not have my car. Why am I paying for something I cant even drive? This is insane.

After purchasing a 2011 Sonata, I went back within a week with a steering problem - pulls to left at highway speeds. I left the car with them; the car still pulls to the left. I consider this a safety issue since more effort is required to keep the car tracking straight. Hyundai Motor Corporation is extremely uncooperative also, hoping that I would just give up through frustration.

Car lost power while driving down the interstate and engine started to run very roughly. Took it to the closest dealership on my next day off who called me the NEXT day to tell me that I could come and get the car, but its not fixed because they dont have a fault code to be able to fix an issue, even though they can clearly see that the car isnt running correctly. Car is still under warranty, but wont run, and Im supposed to just bring it home??? Does that make any sense to you?? IDIOTS! Then the service advisor goes as far as to try and sell me a tune-up... ON A CAR THAT WONT RUN! RIDICULOUS!Customer care, not much help there either. They tell me a manager will contact me in 3 to 5 business days. I also bought an extended warranty that NO ONE CAN FIND under my VIN #. How does that work? Every other manufacturer has always been able to see my warranty info listed by the VIN#.... why not Hyundai? All this sounds like HUGE runaround tactics to me. You got me once Hyundai, but never again. Should have stuck to HONDA, Ive had 3 of them and never any issues. Very dissatisfied.

Called the la quinta car dealer to have my car serviced, and the service rep. said did not have any record of any service there. I have a invoice showing that I did, 12/21/12. r/o no. ** . After our conversation, she said that I would call at a later date to get a time for the service, and had to come in so she could get the info. The next few days I was leaving for Conroe, TX since I have been here for two weeks. I called, Wiesner auto group, I also had the car serviced at Wiesner auto, in Conroe TX. and went on a recorder and left a message, that I wanted to get a appointment to have the car serviced. I have still waiting for a call back, I purchased this car, from a very good friend that owns the dealership in Temecula CA. thinking that this was a good buy. 3 weeks ago, I bought my 2016 Genesis Coupe and the car salesman did not tell me that the car was going to be very low to the ground, about 3 inches. Yesterday, as I was pulling into a parking spot, the front splash shield guard under my car, got stuck by the parking stopper made out of cement and as I pull back out, the splash shield broke off at the right side. I took the car to the Hyundai dealership to get it repaired. Well, it is going to be over $1,400.00 lots of damage for a little accident that should not had happened, if they would had disclose the height of the car. Just because no one told me that the car is very low to the ground and the splash shield may get stuck and break off as you pull back.

I am trying to begin the process of making a lemon law claim on our Santa Fe. I am wondering if anybody else has had problems with the back liftgate automatically closing. We have had it repaired 3 times already, and now after taking it in 6 months ago they have still not been able to get it fixed for what would be the 4th time. I have been hit in the head numerous times, and the other day my son was trapped by the liftgate. Luckily I was there to get it off of him, because it will not stop coming down unless you pull very hard against it and he is 8 and was face down. The dealership is useless, they have been ordering the parts for 6 months. We have called repeatedly and get the same answer. Unfortunately there is not another dealer close enough for us to go to, and they also have told us we have to get it repaired at their dealership. This is a joke, and I was wondering if others have had the same issue. Just trying to get all the evidence I can to try and force a resolution. We basically do not use the back of our car anymore. Hyundai is awful.

Failure to live up to warranty - The ESC light comes on and the car goes into a limp mode? It vibrates and wont accelerate. Five failures in the past 30 days. The general manager now tells me the car is fine, but he cant say what theyve repaired. Meanwhile, Hyundai Consumer Assistance 800-633-5151 gave me a case number and then advised me that they shipped the case to their regional office but cant give me the telephone number. The regional office was to call me last week and then this week, no calls. Some warranty!
