If you have a Hyundai do yourself a favor and give it the hell back. Hyunda
If you have a Hyundai do yourself a favor and give it the hell back. Hyundai motor finance is by far the WORST company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with in my life. Their customer service is horrible, their supervisors are a bunch of rude and condescending jerks and the company as a whole is crap. If they did their jobs at all and gave a damn about their customers maybe their ratings wouldnt be so bad. I lease a car through Hyundai, last Friday I was pulled over and given a ticket (luckily my car wasnt impounded!) because my registration was expired 2 months! Hyundai never sent me the paperwork to renew it so I had no idea it was even expiring. I called them, they told me it was my problem and my responsibility. What?! The car is leased to HYUNDAI! I cant walk into a DMV and ask to register a car that isnt mine without the damn paperwork. Hyundai told me that they never got the paperwork from the dmv... Ok... So your company doesnt look into it. No, we dont do that. Thats the response I got. Basically Hyundai believes they are not responsible for anything. So screw me right? Screw the customer... I pay almost $400 for this car a month and I havent been able to drive it since last Friday! I told Hyundai they should be responsible for paying the ticket I got because it could have easily been avoided if they did their jobs properly and provided the customer with the paperwork. I was told Im responsible for it and its in my lease. Well people of hmfusa my lease also says (Unless the interest or penalties are a result of our negligence). So since Hyundai mysteriously never received the paperwork from the DMV they dont look into it, thats basically telling me as a customer to go screw myself. P.S. I called NJMVC, they sent Hyundai my paperwork. This company gives 0 compassion to its customers that spend all this money and when the customer has an issue we receive no help on fixing it. Friday I was told they dont know why I never got the registration form and that they would send me paperwork priority so I could go to the DMV and fix it. Monday I checked the mail and still nothing. I called them again and the lady told me it was just sent that morning. What?? Ok, now its Wednesday, I STILL have nothing. Called again and the lady told me yet again it was sent out and now I SHOULD have it by the end of the week. What happened to priority? The request is priority but the mail is regular shipping. Why the hell is it sent regular mail if you can see its something I need asap. In order to send overnight we need the customers FedEx account. What?! What normal person has a damn FedEx account? That is the most bs excuse Ive ever been told. Go to USPS, ask to overnight it and bam. We dont do that. HMFUSA DOES NOTHING! This company can be run by ferrets and function better. Customer service is 0 and the company could care less about its customers. Never again will I get a Hyundai. Ive never had a worse experience in my life with a car company. How do they expect people to get to work, go to the grocery store. God forbid I have a medical emergency. Oh well, I cant drive the car. This company is such dirt and could care less about its customers. I have had no answers except the same garbage over and over again, Its on its way, were sorry for the inconvenience, we dont do that, we dont do this blah blah blah. This multi billion dollar company cant spare to pay the cost to overnight a limited power of attorney to a customer so they can get their problem fixed. Nope, screw the customers! Dont ever get a hyundai!!!

After having a 2016 Hyundai Veloster and having issues with oil consumption we are being told that due to sludge in the motor and supposedly we are needing a new motor that warranty will not cover a replacement and we are expected to be out of pocket $9400. This is absolutely ridiculous and was told by Consumer Affairs that there was no number for corporate who made the final decision to decline our case. Very unprofessional and no way to do business! This is the true definition of loophole! The car is still under the 100,000 or 10 year warranty!! I will be pursuing other resources and what I have to do about this! The ball was dropped and Hyundai doesnt care. They found a way out of doing the warranty work!

I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT with Nexen tires. I currently have 30,000 miles on the car and have had issues with both front tires. Left front tire blew out, sidewall failure and I replaced it. Passenger front tire had a sidewall bubble and I just replaced that one. I have seen many complaints about the tires on this particular model but the company says there is no issue.

I was in a side and front end collision and my left side airbag went off but my driver air bag did not after trying to avoid a head-on collision with a dodge truck. After the truck hit my left side, I ended up going through a wire fence and hit a steel pole and a cedar tree before my car stopped. After all that no steering wheel airbag. This on 11/14/11 at 6 a.m. Im feeling pain and Im not happy at this point.

My wife hit a concrete light pole base. The body damage was about 2500 dollars but the air bag light came on and white powder was in the car which meant the airbag went off but did not deploy the bag. The insurance company said, You need an airbag and any parts needed to repair it right even though it did not deploy to help stop my wife from moving forward. The car is a 2004 Sonata GLS with 66,000 miles on it as of July 5, 2014 the day of the accident. Hyundai said it is out of warranty but I said this is a device that will only work during an accident. They basically said too bad. The cost was over $3000.00 to replace the bag, seat belt and all the bells and whistles that make the bag NOT DEPLOY. The car is a total loss because of the air bag cost and why would I want to install a new bag that may or may not deploy. Hyundai recalled other year air bags like 2003 and 2006 but my 2004 is not included yet I have read many complaints of non--deploying. Do not trust air bags as a safety item and it doesnt matter what car. Use the seat belt and pray, lol. My car is a total loss but a friend wants to buy it as it has 66,000 miles on it and I am anal when it comes to doing everything the dealer wants you to do and when to do it. I will not buy another Hyundai but I do wish it would have made the recall list so if you have this problem report it to NTSD (NATIONAL TRANS SAFETY PLACE NOT SURE OF THE ACRONYM). Thats all folks. Trust no one.

2011 Hyundai Sonata Engine Failure: 05/09, car stalls and will not start. 05/10, towed to local Hyundai dealer Northshore, Vancouver. Service Manager says before the vehicle arrives that it is probably because I do not change the oil. Service manager asks me to authorize payment to diagnose problem. I ask him why I would do that as the vehicle is still under warranty. Service manager says that they cannot proceed without authorization, and tells me the bill will be bigger if the engine has failed. I provide 3/6 service records with the last completed only 1 month before engine failure. Hyundai Canada denies warranty, no relief of cost due to lack of Maintenance. I have asked for all records and inspection criteria from Hyundai Canada and they have declined to provide. Talk to the garage. Its a great way to ensure no warranty is paid. Have Hyundai service garage charge the consumer/customer to prove that it was the consumers/customers fault. $228 for the diagnostic, $3500 for the engine, $1600 for the labor.

My experience with Hyundai is the worst experience with a car company I’ve ever had and I’ve been leasing different cars for 25 years. I drove my 2021 Kona (top of the line) for 3032 miles before the entire transmission failed. I guess any car company can have a lemon in the batch so the fact that this car sucked isn’t what’s horrible about this story. It’s how Hyundai & Hyundai finance is treating me during the process of trying to return the car and get compensation back that’s hideous. They threatened my credit for a car I hadn’t had in months and made me continue to pay for it for months. They made me collect & turn in all the paperwork needed to get my case settled myself instead of helping and accessing their own records (copy of lease, payment records, etc.). Their entire computer/ website interface for customers fails every month and you have to call to get your profile erased so you can build another one… Only it remembers the email you used so every month you have to come up with a new email & hope this month their system for payment & account details doesn’t fail. They are offering me almost NOTHING back ($2300) even though I paid 1500 down & payments from September 2020-March 2021 at $367/month. They don’t even understand their own processes and told me that a significant amount of the money I am owed back for the car needed to be applied for at the dealership due to “separate contracts for alarm system, clear shield, & other aspects of the car’s system... But the dealership says that’s completely wrong. Oh ya, and every 30 days the paperwork I turned in expires & takes hours of effort on my part to resubmit. Do yourself a favor and RUN from Hyundai!

I am a soldier and have been in the army for over 20 years, been deployed to 3 tours. I purchased a 2009 Hyundai Azera Limited addition, with Satellite radio and GPS Navigation package, etc. I was looking between Toyota and Hyundai. I leaned Hyundai way because of the 100K warranty. I was thinking that is a great warranty until very recently when I actually needed the warranty. I did not maintain a book to track my oil changes, etc. I did an oil change in late Oct and purchased an aftermarket oil filter from AutoZone and Synthetic Oil. My wife was driving last week and she said the oil light came on briefly, then the Service engine light came on, then the car stopped running. The car has 88K miles on it and when I checked the oil and it was a little less than a quart low. The oil was not even dirty. I took it to the service dept of Hyundai in Lawton, Oklahoma and they are saying they will not honor the 100K warranty because I don’t have records. I tried to explain that I am a soldier and bought the car in El Paso while stationed at Fort Bliss, but it is a pretty sure bet that they are going to leave me high and dry on this. I have purchased 3 different Hyundais from them and this is the first time I needed to test the warranty. Looks like the 100k warranty sounds good on paper but if they dont honor it, I would have went somewhere else. I know I could go to the military Jag to attempt to get legal advice but Im sure Hyundai has much more money than I have so they could play the technicality cards all day and Im basically screwed. I can assure you I will never buy another Hyundai. I called the Cooperate office and am waiting for an answer back but Im really expecting to get the same answer as the local Service Dept. I really hope Hyundai will do the right thing. I have put my life on the line for this country and never expected to be treated like this from them.

I took my 2011 Hyundai Sonata into the Hyundai dealer service center with a problem on my auxiliary plug. I used a 3.5 mm auxiliary cable to connect my iPod to the car. After a couple of months, the cable had bad connection. Due to that problem, I bought a new auxiliary cable but the cable wasnt the problem. The problem was the 3.5 mm jack that is on the car. I brought my car to the dealer but they said they couldnt do anything since I didnt use OEM Hyundai auxiliary cable even though they knew the problem. So I bought the OEM cable, but after few months it didnt work well. So I brought my car to the dealer and one of the staff brought three other staffs to check if the jack or the cable was defected; they all said there was no problem. Also, it is very obvious that their staff would say there is no problem. I am highly unsatisfied from this experience. I cannot enjoy my music in my brand new Hyundai Sonata. I should have my audio jack replaced with a new part and refund on the cable.

I have to say, I made a huge mistake going with my tried and true Honda or Toyota. To save a few bucks off sticker I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT. At about 60,000 miles, imagine just when the warranty really expires the car starts to stall when I start every once in a while, about every two months, finally the thing stalls in the middle of the highway. How pleasant that experience was. In any case I get towed to nearest Hyundai dealer who proceeds to charge me an upfront diagnostic fee. I have no choice but to pay to find out what is wrong. The manager of Hyundai dealer tells me I need all new spark plugs and ignition coils to the tune of $600 plus dollars. I tell him that this stall issue has been happening for a while. He says, Sorry you passed 60,000 miles. Its your fault you didnt bring to dealer sooner. I say, Ignition coil and plugs are supposed to last a minimum of 100,000 miles and you know Mr manager that the problem started well before I passed 60,000 miles, it didnt just wake up at 67,000 and drop dead. I said, Can you work with me? I will accept some responsibility, for not getting here earlier, lets split the cost. Manager says, No can do. GO to corporate and ask them.I do call corporate and go through the whole thing that these plugs and ignition coils did just break down overnight. I know I am 7,000 miles over the warranty but I feel because of your inferior parts caused the failure, is there anything you can do? The old lady at Corporate who I am speaking seemingly takes some pleasure in telling me basically to go pound sand. I go back to the dealer and explain how rude corporate was and not covering anything. Dealer says, That too bad but thats corporates decision not mine. I cant help you. So as a customer they make you go between the dealer and corporate. Corporate says not my fault ask dealer. Dealer says not my fault ask Corporate. Nice customer service, just a game. Finally I break down and ask the dealer to make the fix. At first they dont tell me that they need to only replace the ignition coil that is malfunctioning. They tell me all four have to be replaced. I happen to google it then ask if all 4 coils need to be replaced. Mgr says, Oh right just the one that is not working, that will save you money. Fine, I tell them to do the fix. Finally the car is supposedly fixed and I pay for it and get in start to drive away. To my astonishment now the car is ticking loudly. I cant believe it. Its worse. Anyway I now have to make another appointment to fix the new very loud engine ticking noise. I have not done so yet because I am going to trade the piece of junk in for a real car like a HONDA or a TOYOTA. Point is Hyundai makes cheaper crappy cars that may run for a bit then slowly break down. BTW the resale value of the Hyundai is horrible. Its pay me now or pay me later. Moral of the story you should pay a few thousand more for Honda or Toyota which is proven to last and has higher resale values. GOODBYE HYUNDAI.

Front bumper falls off very easily on Sonata - Be very careful when pulling into a parking spot with a tire stop installed like most handicapped parking spots. I went about 2 inches too far and heard a scrape on the tire stop. I backed up slowly, and it pulled my front bumper off the car on one side. I pushed it back into place and taped it up to drive home. They are the cheapest little plastic devices that hold the bumper on the car, and once they break (according to my dealer), you have no choice but to replace the whole front end of the car ($1,104.00). When speaking to the body shop for Hyundai, they explained that Hyundai used to warrant this problem, but there were so many that they quit doing it. They said they had replaced over 25 of these recently. I went through all the Hyundai customer options, but they would not help in any way. There is nothing to keep this from happening again except being very careful when you park. I will never buy another Hyundai again because of this. Very cheap manufacturing and possibly dangerous. I hate to see this happen with our car companies. I never had this happen with any other car in the last 50 years I have been driving. Just an additional note, there is not a scratch anywhere on the bumper except underneath and nothing broke or cracked except these cheap fasteners which are attached to the bumper. Some of the other plastic parts under the bumper have to be replaced as well. Hope this helps others, and I wish I knew about it before I bought this car.

I will never again purchase another Hyundai. Never realized what a joke it
I will never again purchase another Hyundai. Never realized what a joke it is to get any sort of help from this company plus when it comes to any warranty issues, theyll do just about anything to not cover it. I purchased a 2010 Sonata back in Nov 09, car was absolutely beautiful, ran great and till a few weeks ago, still loved my car. Well a few weeks ago, my car started making a knocking sound under the hood so I decided to bring it into a Hyundai dealership to get it checked out. Mind you, I called on a Thursday and asked them what day should I come in, I was told drop it off Sunday night and theyll get to it first thing in the morning. They didnt start my car until 4 in the afternoon but thats beside the problem. I get a call at 4 from Hyundai that I need to get down there immediately. So me and my pregnant wife with twins get in the car and go down there and the lady goes look, do you see that buildup of oil inside the engine? All she did was take the oil cap off and shined a flashlight in there. So I said to the lady, Yea...your point? She said, Hyundai is not gonna cover the problem. I asked, What is the problem, whats with the knocking sound? Lady tells me they cant diagnose the car because of the little oil buildup. You gotta be kidding me. I have all my records from all my oil changes and maintenance thats been done. I ended up taking my car home because they wouldnt fix my car. I have full warranty plus an extended warranty and do do jack with it. Hyundai consumer affairs is a joke. Theyve been giving me the runaround and this has been going on since December 8th. No one will help me. I will never, ever buy from HYUNDAI again and I will make sure to advise family and friends to stay away from a company that is very unprofessional and totally against helping the customer. Funny how they rave about their phenomenal warranty coverage but God forbid you need to use it....forget it POS.

If you are reading this - Please do not finance with this company. About 3 years ago, a mistake on their end (on their website) returned my payment. The excuse they gave me was we only had the last four digits of your account number and therefore could not process your payment. Well, the entire account number was there, but the digits in front were shown as Xs, so my account number looked like this - XXXXXXXXXXX-0000. When I explained to them this was the issue, they reversed the late fee. You would think after this that the company would fix the issue.Well, this happened again recently in the beginning of April (2014). I was given the same excuse. They reversed the fee. I then made another payment (for two months). I made sure the account number, routing number, and checking number were absolutely correct (even have an email confirmation with all the information on it). This payment didnt go through again, and this time they will not reverse the fee. I repeatedly asked them for the reason why the payment did not go through. First I was told insufficient funds. Then I was told only last four digits were available. Then I was told the account number was wrong. When I repeatedly asked them for what account number they were given for the returned payments, they said they didnt have it on file. So how do you know it was wrong if you cant even check it in the first place? After several emails and phone calls, and a phone call with a supervisor named John, they absolutely refused to waive the returned payment fee. After the first payment was returned in early April, Hyundai Motor Finance should have immediately told me if something went wrong with the second payment (instead of waiting to hit me with a late fee/returned payment fee). Nothing showed on their website until AFTER they hit me with yet another fee. This is a real shame since Im happy with Hyundai Motors of America and my local dealership. However, if the dealerships are urging people to finance with this company, they too should be held accountable for poor customer service. They are refusing to do anything further. This issue is not resolved. To everyone reading this, avoid financing with this company. They truly do not care about their customers.

Had a headlight out on 2011 Sonata. A new lamp from an aftermarket dealer did not work. Yet both the old lamp and the new one were tested and shown to be good. (I had a mechanic with me and he verified both lamps were good and could not provide an explanation why good lamps would not work). Took vehicle in to Burdick Hyundai, Onondaga County, NY. Manager gave me a lamp (Phillips) he said was bad, that that brand did not work out well in Hyundais, apparently being the one I had changed. I paid for the service and took the bad lamp back to the parts dealer. The parts dealer informed me they did not sell the lamp I was given - the lamps I had purchased were Sylvania. Called the parts manager who said the mechanic must have just given him the wrong bulb. Asked for the old lamp so I could get a refund from a parts dealer. Was told I had not asked for the old parts. Called me back once, did not call back as he stated he would the second time. In the meantime, I put the original old lamp back in the headlight and it worked. Something is wrong with this picture. The lamps would not work when I took it in, it works now, but the lamp I brought in cannot be located to check it. I am concerned they did warranty covered work and charged me for a bulb repair. I expected an explanation and when the parts manager did not call me back, I wrote to Hyundai. The amount is minor, but I do not like how the dealership and now Hyundai handled it. Hyundai Corporates response was not what I had expected. Hyundais Reply Sent at 7:28 PM. Relevant portion of the form letter below:...Please keep in mind while the dealerships are authorized to sell, and maintain our product, we are unable to influence how the dealerships conduct business, reach diagnosis or decide to retain old parts. The best way for you to resolve your concern about the diagnosis and headlamp in question is to bring it to the General Managers attention...In other words I read that as Hyundai is not responsible for the performance of their dealerships so complaining to Hyundai gets you a form letter and no action. Hyundai appears to back the dealership, not the customer. I assumed Hyundai would care as their name is on the vehicle. I was wrong. I suppose my issue is minor, but it appears to represent a corporate attitude that will not help you if you were to have a major complaint about a Hyundai dealership. Caveat emptor!

Shiny plastic cover over interior driver door latch (to open) began peeling
Shiny plastic cover over interior driver door latch (to open) began peeling off. Before the warranty on this item expired at 60K miles, advised that the dealership had to order another cover. Assuming it is a peel off, stick on type of application. No mention of buying a completely new door latch just because plastic surface was peeling off. In the meantime, a fog lamp went out; one of the door locks stopped working. Dealer advised that none is covered by warranty. Cost of replacing the door latch $150 b/c the entire assembly is apparently required. Cannot purchase the stick on plastic cover. One light bulb for fog light, $75. Replaced one actuator for one door lock mechanism, $460. Service manager could not explain why these outrageous prices for simple repairs were required. Hyundai should allow their dealers to make profit on service, but this type of pricing is outrageous and abusive. I said no, and plan on raising hell in every forum I can.

My air bag light came on Thursday, 2/16/2012. I took the car to the dealer to find out if it was a fuse or something. They tell me I must replace the air bag for $1800.00 for the light to go off. Are you kidding me? Seriously? I know there must be a recall on the airbag (2005 Sonata). Im not the only one. Does anyone know of a recall for that year? Im being stumped.

I just like to have a horrible nightmare story with my Hyundai Sonata 2005
I just like to have a horrible nightmare story with my Hyundai Sonata 2005 in last 2 years. I desperately need your legal helps, suggestions and comments. On 02/22/2012, My Sonata 2005 just past 70,914 Miles and I was suggested by young guy name ** to change my Timing Belt and etc. I spent $967.43 to let Lehigh Valley, PA Hyundai Service Center done the job. At that point, my car just have a tire issue. After 2 weeks, I hear some noise when I first time start car. I called **. He told me because it’s new belt and Id better to tolerant it. At April, I still hear noise and little bit loud. I call them again. They let me left the car with them several days. They wrote it down as they cant find any problem and adjust timing belt little. They sold me about annual State Inspection package this time. After that, I changed Spark Plug and Engine Oil with top line product myself in the same year. I always use Hyundai Genuine Oil and Air Filters once day one and do this maintenance job myself when I purchased the car as brand new one. I tolerant this problem several months and called them again. They still tell me the same answer. I was so busy for my job and life. I cant always let them keep my car for several days to find nothing. On 04/08/2013 at 88,055 miles, I hear a belt broken sound while I am driving on I-78 and engine is completely shut down. I called them ask for road assistant and was told to paid for towing or solve myself. I managed myself to get their place. They told me that I have to pay myself for the repairs. After several days, they called and informed me that they found the engine was broken. They will cover for these repairs. In last year, I already talk to totally different Manager and Service Reps. They also told me that they had difficult to find replace engine. Until 05/01/2013, I was called for the job done.I changed engine oil with Hyundai Genuine Oil Filter and 5 Gallon Castrol High Mileage 10W40 myself last summer. And I wish I can keep this car for another 5 years. However, I notice in Nov. the oil check light sometimes flashing in an barely occasion while I drive on highway ramp and stop at traffic. Im NOT pay too much attention about this issue. I know if I call them, they will keep my car for several days and find nothing. Thats about their service and skills.Last month of 8th, I try to pull my car from heavy snow in dark evening and the car start as normal and was NOT working after several times back and forth to pull out. With several light on, I can start the car at all. I give up my efforts to drive car out in that evening. I called my job off in second morning and try to start it again. It was OK and out of from the snow. I immediately drive to LV Hyundai Service Center and notice that the engine check light is solid ON while I stop at traffic. They call me afternoon and tell me they cant find any engine oil in my car and the engine is broken again and ask me about engine oil and filter purchase receipts. I usually dont keep these small purchase receipt for my normal life. However, I can show them my a couple of old replacement Hyundai Genuine Oil Filters in my garage. I bring two used filter and one air filter. I argue with them NO CAR should running under engine oil while my gas tank is 80% full. Your engine has a big design defect. You should repair or replace it again under your all your warranty claims and consumer protection laws. I talk to them back and forth several time already. They still refuse to do so. I dont have my car for more than one month. Please help me if you all can. Thank you very much in advance.

You will be going back and forth to OfficeMax and your home. Finally, when you have all of the papers faxed, they will tell you they never got them. You end up faxing 6 times.

I would like to state my utter disgust and anger at the horrible customer service I have received by Hyundai Consumer Affairs. The engine blew on my 2017 Hyundai Sonata over a week and a half ago. I had it towed to Bill Dube Hyundai in Wilmington, MA. I have been waiting ever since for someone, anyone, to give me answer as to when my car will be fixed. There has been absolutely no sense of urgency and zero care or consideration for me, the customer, who has been without a car for nearly 2 weeks. It is reprehensible that this much time has gone by and not a single person can even tell me WHEN I will get an answer. The case has even been escalated. But the person it was escalated to does not answer his phone and has a recording that he will call you back within 3-days. HOW IS THAT AN ESCALATION!!!!So now another week has gone by and Im without a car or answers. The person answering the 800 number at Consumer Affairs tells me hes going to send an alert message to Scott my case manager and if he doesnt get back to me today he should by Monday. This is the same response I got from the Bill Dube dealer last week. Well I waited until Monday, nobody called me and I still have no answers. When and if this ever comes to a conclusion I will certainly be sure to tell everyone I know and anyone who will listen to NEVER BUY A HYUNDAI. Hyundai does not back up their product or care about their customers. This is deplorable.

Hyundai claims to have Americas best warranty but if you read the fine print youll find out otherwise. Three of the five cars Ive owned as an adult have been Hyundai cars. I liked the warranty and the service, however I have never once with all the servicing Ive had on my cars had their warranty cover anything. Recently I had a transmission problem on my car and I found out that not only am I not covered for 100,000 miles or 10 years as they like to advertise, Im not even covered for 60,000 or 5 years. My car has about 56,000 miles on it and they are not covering anything at this point.Hyundai loves to advertise their amazing 100,000 or 10 year power train warranty, but that only applies to the original owner. The second someone else owns the car it drops down to almost half the mileage (60,000) or 5 years, whichever comes first. It wouldnt be as infuriating if they had not been so vocal about their warranty the whole time. They told me over and over again about the coverage and how great the warranty is. The second youre outside the life of the warranty though things will start falling apart. Its happened with every Hyundai Ive owned. This is the last Hyundai I will ever own.

My 2012 Hyundai Elantra Limited was 11 months old when I took it to a deale
My 2012 Hyundai Elantra Limited was 11 months old when I took it to a dealership due to my concern with rust in two different spots on the front edge of the hood. They said that they would need to take pictures and get a decision from their Hyundai rep. It was the middle of October before I finally heard from anyone (after making numerous phone calls) to learn that they had declined to repair the problem stating it was the result of rock chips which arent covered by their warranty. During the prolonged wait for an answer, a third spot of rust erupted on the front fender near the headlight, and there is nothing to indicate it was the result of a rock chip. According to the warranty, the paint is covered for three years; however, it doesnt cover rock chips.I understand this but my problem isnt that the car has rock chips. Every car Ive ever owned has had rock chips. My problem with Hyundais assessment is that the so-called rock chips have rusted so quickly, spread under the paint, which is blistering and falling off along with the other spot where there is not a rock chip. I have owned at least 10 cars in my lifetime and not one of them has ever rusted like that. I paid for additional coverage when I bought this car, as well as some Paint Seal protection that the dealership said they put on all new cars. It obviously didnt work, to the tune of an extra $200. My husbands car is over 25 years old, still has the original paint, and although it has rock chips, not one of them is rusting to this day. I suspect that I am not the only Hyundai owner with this complaint. Hyundai is making it a policy not to cover any repairs under their so-called warranty. What am I supposed to expect after another two or three years and I have another warranty claim? Am I going to have this fight with Hyundai every time? This is a simple fix and yet they are telling me that if a pebble hits my car, I should expect it to rust immediately and its my problem. In addition, my seatbelt retractor on the passengers side stays locked. It has been this way since I purchased the car. When taking the car to the dealership to have the rust issues assessed, I told them about the issue with the seatbelt retractor. After first telling me they could not fix it since the problem seemed to be intermittent, they finally agreed to replace it after my husband was able to easily reproduce the problem. I returned on Oct. 18 and they replaced it. After leaving the dealership, I realized that the new seatbelt retractor was also locking up. It locks when you snap it on and in order to do anything, such as reach for the radio, open the glove box, etc, you must undo the seatbelt. This occurs repeatedly so you are continuously snapping and unsnapping your seatbelt. I immediately turned the car around and took it back to Jeff Wyler. They said they would need to contact Hyundai since they already replaced it with a new seatbelt retractor and would get back with me.Today is Oct. 25th. Once again, I am waiting for them to call me and let me know what the next step is so I can have a working passenger side seatbelt. I have never had this problem with any other auto manufacturers warranty. I have owned two Chevys prior to this, and Chevrolet bent over backwards to make sure my concerns were taken care of quickly and with respect. I switched to Hyundai because of their supposed unbeatable 10-year warranty, but apparently, it is meaningless since they wont honor it. I am so frustrated at this point because this terrible experience has left me hating my new car which Im stuck with while it slowly rusts away from a couple of rock chips along with an unusable passengers side seatbelt. I also want to add that this car is rarely driven and kept in a garage. After owning it now for one year and one month, this car has only 6200 miles. I have subsequently filed a complaint through the BBBs Autoline, which is the recommended procedure in Hyundai Owners Manual and Warranty Booklet. Thank you.

My vehicle has less than 5000 miles. We were leaving lunch at a restaurant
My vehicle has less than 5000 miles. We were leaving lunch at a restaurant about 25 miles from our home and the car developed a sound in the right front fender, well like something rubbing.and I pulled over to check. The plastic fabric that lines the underside of the right front wheel well had come loose and was dragging on the road. I called Hyundai on road service and they were going to send a car carrier and haul my car to Newnan Georgia 18 miles farther in the other direction to a Hyundai dealer. I was in a school entrance so I then pulled up and I assume the tire ran over the plastic fabric and pulled it loose. I got out and picked up the piece about 12 inches by 8 inches. I noticed the rest of the lining under the wheel well was loose and was being held by a groove in the edge of the fender. The right front fender was separated from the bumper and I was able to push the lining back inside the groove and with the palm of my I tapped on the side where the fender and bumper connected and the two pieces stayed together. I checked and a Hyundai dealer was within 12 miles of my home, I called Hyundai road recovery back and told them I could drive the vehicle to the Hyundai dealer in McDonough, Georgia. We drove to the dealer in McDonough and was told by maintenance that the vehicle was involved in a wreck. I questioned this and was then told that the one (1) mechanic to handle Hyundai vehicles said to take it to their body shop. The maintenance supervisor then indicated that the right front bumper had been hit and it looked like a vehicle in a parking lot had hit the right front fender. When I questioning this he said even a shopping cart in a shopping lot could have hit the bumper and separated the fender from the bumper. We took the vehicle to the body shop and the supervisor said the vehicle was not involved in a wreck. He looked under the right front fender and said he thought the fender separated from the right front side of the bumper after the clips that hold the fender to the bumper had snapped. The fender and the bumper showed no outward scratches or dents. He said Hyundai would not consider the separation of the fender from the bumper to be under warranty. He stated the fender clips could not be repaired and the fender could not be reattached to the bumper instead the bumper would have to be replaced as well as the underside of the wheel well. The estimate would be in excess of $1,400.00. I purchased the vehicle for its looks, warranty and its history of reliability. What else can I expect to fall apart on this vehicle? The vehicle looks like it is very cheaply made and Hyundai has cut corners in the materials used in the assembly of the vehicle. I dont feel safe in the vehicle. I made a mistake moving from Toyota to Hyundai.

I just purchased a 2012 Accent. I drive 40 miles to work on the interstate every day. Once I reach 70 mph, my car starts to swerve to the point I almost run into the other lanes. When I try to correct the car, it gets worse. One time, I almost ran a car off the road. Terrified to drive, I took the car into the dealership and was told its my electric power steering. I was told theres nothing they could do to help me. They told me I need to get use to the sensitive steering. Seriously! I was told by the dealership the sensitive steering does not change even at high speeds. If I turn my steering wheel a little bit, my car will go in that direction very fast. This is very dangerous. Hyundai needs to fix this problem before someone gets hurt.

My 2013 Hyundai Elantras engine failed early November 2017. I took the car to Sansone car dealer where they agreed the engine needed to be replaced due to sludge build up/engine failure. Hyundai motors refused to pay and referred me to BBB telling me they would honor BBB DECISION. Once I provided BBB with information I was told I did not qualify because I had more than 60,000 miles on my car. Hyundai definitely needs to recall this vehicle because my car has been back and forth in the shop due to the mechanics solely depending on computer codes to find whats wrong. Do it the old way. In October 2013, I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. Unfortunately, I trusted my local dealer because Ive had a good relationship with them for four years. Thats no longer a true statement. While shopping, and let me say it was a 6-hour ordeal trying to purchase the car on day 1, I mentioned numerous times that I drive 200 miles round trip to work. I finally picked a car and had to wait hours to get into the finance office to firm it up. While waiting, I noticed that the sticker on the window said the car comes with an emergency tire puncture repair kit in lieu of spare. I stopped the deal and told the salesman I must have a spare tire and jack. Period. He assured me that theyd get me one, but told me it really wasnt necessary because the car comes with 5 years of roadside assistance. I asked him if we shouldnt amend the paper they had asked me to sign saying they didnt owe me anything. He assured me it wasnt necessary. When it was my turn in the finance office, I mentioned to that man that we had just discussed the fact that I must have a spare tire and he assured me that the salesman would take care of me. I signed up, trusting when I shouldnt have trusted. Let me state here that I told the salesman over and over again that I did not want this car unless there was a spare. Well, turns out they did not have the certificate of origination, so I had to wait several days. Because I changed my mind about using my old car as a trade in, I went back and re-did all the paperwork. Then they delivered the car to me - not with a full tank of gas, as promised by the salesman and the Hyundai car sticker. I asked where was the spare and the salesman had the gall to say, What spare? When I reminded him of our numerous conversations, he stated, I didnt tell you that. I didnt promise you a spare. That ensued in an argument, and it didnt end well. In fact, I was instantly sorry I had bought the car. My mistake. I should have immediately refused delivery and demanded to see the manager. We told the salesman to order me a tire, and he said it would cost over $300. Well, why didnt they offer to add one on for $300 when I was paying for the car? Again, he said to me, If you get a flat, just sit in the car, lock the doors, and call the 800 number for Roadside Assistance. More lies.I spoke with the manager the next day and he said they would split the cost with me 50/50. I told him I was furious about the lies I had been told, but 50/50 was the best he could do. Since I was willing to pay $300 the day prior, I told them fine. 50/50 was cheaper than I could buy it myself. Wrong again. When I got home, I started reading the owners manual and on page 10, in fine print, it said that roadside assistance is good for 5 years for everything EXCEPT flat tires when the person was provided with an emergency puncture kit.I had just cancelled my personal roadside assistance plan! How in the heck does Hyundai think a puncture kit is going to help if I have a flat 100 miles from home, or late at night when no garage is open? This is a safety hazard. Even worse, they are using unfair consumer trade practices. The big signs on the dealership wall saying 5 YEAR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE sure dont have an asterisk and fine print below telling you what it doesnt cover. The salesman never once said they could not offer me a spare and jack as an option. In fact, he blatantly lied and said roadside assistance would cover me if I had a flat. Now let me tell you something Hyundai should understand. I would prefer to have NO ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE and a spare tire than this pack of lies! They obviously didnt do any focus groups before they implemented this stupid marketing measure. They have lost me as a customer forever, and I believe a class action lawsuit is in order. As for the local dealer, they have lost my business. They sell Hyundais exclusively, so they better start praying for their business. They are going to learn that being disingenuous to customers in a small town will put them out of business more quickly than anything else. As for me, Hyundai sucks as a company. Id give anything to go back in time just a few days. Id rather give my purchasing dollars to a company with ethics.

I purchased a 2015 Hyundai Elantra on November 26th, 2014. The car was brand new when I purchased it. On December 23rd I noticed that my break lights would not turn off after having parked and removed the key. I was unable to get the light to turn off, but I had a trip scheduled to visit family during the holidays. I was forced to leave the car at my house in its present state. When I reached my destination on December 24th I called Hyundai (Lithia Springs) to tell them about the issues and to ask them how they wanted to handle this issue. The service representative told me to bring the car in on January 3rd. When I returned to Georgia I brought the car to Hyundai. While driving the vehicle I could smell a strong odor reminiscent of spoiled milk. When I arrived at the dealership they examined the car and initially told me that the issue was with the break clutch not depressing properly. After the technician replaced this part he returned to tell me that he was unable to correct the issue and that he suspected it to be an electrical issue. He requested that I leave the car with him so that it could be worked on and placed me in a loaner vehicle.I received a call today (January 6th, 2015) and was told that the issue had been isolated and that the car was not sealed properly and water had caused the electrical issues I was having. Mr. ** told me that the car would need to have the windshield removed, carpet removed, dried, and resealed. I expressed my concern with this and let him know that I wanted the car replaced immediately, to which he did not reply. I called back to speak with the manager Mr. **. He told me that Hyundai manufacturing would most likely not replace my brand new vehicle and that all he could do was try to fix the issues. I am truly unhappy and want my money back or a brand new car. I havent even driven this car 1,000 miles and not only am I without a car, but I am still being forced to pay for a car that was garbage when I bought it. Hyundai needs to give me my money back or replace my vehicle!

We have had three Hyundai cars, the last being an I30. The first problem was paintwork on the tailgate; rust was bubbling through the paintwork. We informed the dealer. They said that it could be stone chips without even looking at the car. They requested we take the car for photographs for warranty claim so we did. We waited for information on what was happening with the claim. When we inquired about it after three weeks, they said they had no idea what we were on about. Eventually, they found the photos and resolved the issue. We werent happy with the dealer so we changed the dealer. The car broke down after having a service due to fuel waxing in the filter. The filter is meant to be covered under a 5-yr, 40,000 miles warranty. The car had only done under 19,000. After sitting in a car for three hours and losing a days work, the dealer charged GBP77.71 for changing a spin on filter. I spoke to Hyundai UK Customer Services. They werent interested in what I was trying to say, that some fuel filters have the facility to drain water from the filter or service schedules are too long as I have had services of filters at 12,000 miles and 24,000 miles. The Customer Service department was not prepared to listen and eventually tried to pacify me with reimbursement for the cost. Then I had issues with this department. I wrote a letter to the CEO of Hyundai UK. What a waste of a stamp. I received a reply from the Customer Service department. Buyer, beware. If you buy new and you need backup, be prepared for crap customer service.

I have a 2012 Elantra and when I go over a crack or bump in the road, the car hops to the left or right. I have never had a car do this before and the biggest complaint I have is, Hyundai is denying any issues or problems. The two dealerships that I went to say, It is within Hyundai specs so they cant do anything about it. I would need to go to an alignment shop and have aftermarket shims put in. One problem is that Hyundai did not build the vehicle with four-wheel alignment adjustability or even install a camber adjustment bolt in the rear. I went through my 70,000 mile rated tires in 30,000. The back end tires are towed outward on the front side of the tire. My camber settings were 1.4 on the left and 1.7 on right. With this setting, you will go through tires and then the cupping will develop. In the winter time, park it and take a bus, its a lot safer.

I stumbled upon this website when reading about tires, and was surprised to see virtually every car company with such horrendous reviews. Then I realized its merely a sounding board for angry people with car troubles. I just wanted to share a little about my little 2013 Elantra GT. I bought it new, have done all maintenance in my garage, have used nothing but full synthetic oil and Hyundai brand parts (filters, etc to avoid warranty issues), and in return? Its been hands down the best car Ive ever owned. Nothing has failed in the first 3 years, 40,000 miles. No car Ive ever owned has accomplished that. It rides like its brand new, no squeaks, no rattles, no nothing. Comfortable as can be, averages 32 in the city, 36 on the highway. Ive owned many compacts in my life, none have come even close to this level of ride quality. Simply put, we love the car. Its our first Hyundai, and we would buy another in a heartbeat. And basically, this is merely a message to take everything you read online with a grain of salt. Including my review. Occasionally, youre going to get a car thats awful. I had one. 2012 Impala, kept it 9 months. It went back to the garage under warranty 11 times in those 9 months. Eventually, you just have to make a judgment call. Do you keep a car thats been nothing but problems? Or do you try something else. We now own a Hyundai and a Nissan and have been thrilled with them. Will I ever buy another Chevrolet? Sure! I just got a lemon. It happens. It totally stinks, but it happens.

The violent jerk would worsen and I took it to get an transmission flush and the jerking stopped. Weeks later the jerking began again. It did this in and off about 2 times in 3 months. I took it back to the dealer who had 3 different repair shops who looked at the vehicle and determined it was transmission failure. I will be contacting the BBB and fox 2 about the issue and writing a letter to the office of the president! Lesson learned to research car manufactures reputation.

My husband is a full time Uber driver & his income is extremely important for us because with my part time job we can’t afford to pay the our bills. Everything was quite good since he drove Hyundai Ioniq hybrid 2017 which helped us a lot to spend less on fuel but one day suddenly the car stopped without any warning sign and the Hyundai Kitchener towed it and we were advised that it’s a recall for Hybrid system so we thought it will take a week or two but omg it has been 4 months we didn’t get our car back! Since this car was everything for us and my husband couldn’t do Uber with a rental car it has been 4 minutes we lost the income. He called thousand times for help & complain about the service to Hyundai Canada but they didn’t give a **, instead we were insulted that you should know the rules. We can’t do anything! We talked with a lawyer to sue the company for the income loss but the lawyer said these giant companies are protected by law we can’t help you. Seriously??We bought this brand new car so expensive to face this day? We are facing a lot of problems and the loss of income for four months for a middle class family is the worst thing.. I’m writing this only to inform you people be very careful before purchasing any car from Hyundai, they don’t value their customers and treat you like **.. now I’m not gonna stop this complain and will even call some tv channels to show the reality of this company because the money we bought this car that was our ten years saving and lost everything. The worst company with worst service and very bad management with bad quality cars.

I purchased a 2019 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate about two weeks ago. The first week I had it I noticed when it was in the sun the back bumper and lift gate had these 3D swirls in the Black Noir Pearl paint. The dealership had the car redone with Zurche but still had the same issue. I took it back to the dealer and they had someone buff the entire car. This made the situation worse as the marks were still in the paint and he did a poor job detailing the car. I took the car home and spent 3 hours detailing the car myself to fix the issue from the detailer. Regardless to say the marks are still there. My wife noticed today that I have a big scratch under the spoiler. The dealership was going to allow me to pick another car, but they did not have any and it had to be today. So to make a long story short I wish they would just take the car from me like I never bought it. Very dissatisfied customer for a car that is only 2 weeks old when it was valued at 35 thousand dollars.

I leased my new 2020 Hyundai Tucson on June 30, 2020. Only a month later on August 1, 2020 the oil pump light appeared on board. Advised by the Blue Link representative I contacted from the car, I took the car to be serviced at the nearest dealership (different from the one I leased the car from). Once there, I was told they dont have a replacement car for me to drive while the car is in their shop and that the oil pump they ordered should arrive in a few days, and I am still waiting for it! I am an essential worker who needs a car to get to and from work! I called Hyundai customer service, I was assigned a case manager who had no clue what to do, what part I needed for my car or how to find out when it will be shipped. He recommended I rent a car while Im waiting for mine to be fixed (which could take weeks...) and said I will be reimbursed $30/day if I rent a Hyundai or $20 for a different car. I live in New York City, those are not the rental prices I can find here. Meanwhile, I am still paying for my lease and cannot use the brand new car! This is the second Tucson I have, but after this experience I will definitely switch car companies!

I was in a severe car accident last May. Hyundai tells me they are working directly with my insurance company and that the charges would be covered, not to worry and if there’s any problems they’ll contact me. With recovering from injuries, they give me no indication that I still have a balance from the crash that the insurance did not cover. They put me in a brand new car without even mentioning the thousands I’ve dollars I still owed. I was left in the dark. My credit score plummeted. I then find out through the credit bureau that I have a balance on my Hyundai account that was never dealt with. I call Hyundai and they tell me it’s my fault and I should have checked in with them. I explain to them I was told everything’s as being taken care of while I was being treated in the hospital and if anything was off that I would receive a call. They tell me I shouldn’t trust everything people say!!! No word of lie, that’s what they said to me. I’ll NEVER do business with Hyundai again. They do not care about their loyal customers at all. Ruthless.

I have a 2010 Hyundai Entourage. I purchased this vehicle thinking it would be a reliable vehicle in July 2017. It had only 125,000 kms and was in great condition. So far I havent been exactly thrilled with reliability. But my impression changed today when I went into Hyundai dealership to order new a/c-heater control panel since my button for fan speed has broken. I was told there was one available but at a stupendous price of $900.00. I pretty gagged when they told me this. I was expecting $200.00-$300.00 which is till expensive but at least tolerable. After this experience, I will never buy another Hyundai vehicle because replacement parts are sold at a totally rip off price. $900.00 for a piece of electronic that simply controls heat and fan speeds. It doesnt even have automatic temperature control on this unit.

So I ventured into a 48 mo lease back in Nov. 2011 on a 2012 Hyundai Elantra Limited. I got my vehicle from a well-known dealer down by the Philadelphia Auto Mall. The deal was fine, dealership was helpful and off I went in my new Elantra. The one small issue was with the color combination I had wanted but the dealer could not deliver on. So I settled on an available color combination and was happy nonetheless. Fast forward 3 1/2 years later and like a good loyal soldier I found myself back at the same dealership. This time I went in with a printout of the 2016 Elantra Limited I built on Hyundais online site. I was feeling confident I could finally get that color combination I had wanted back in Nov. 2011... NOPE!! The dealer searched around for my color combo and basically in so many words told me the closest location they could find my color combination was about 1,800 miles away in Oklahoma City. WHAT??? I figured I still and some time until my lease ended so I told them I was not in an immediate rush so they had time to get the vehicle (or one in that color combo) to Philadelphia. That suggestion was all but brushed off and I was basically given (once again!) the impression I would need to settle on a different color combination... I ended up in another vehicle that was NOT a Hyundai. My well maintained 2012 leased vehicle with 16,000 miles under the allowed mileage went back to the dealer and months later I receive a bill in the mail from Hyundai Finance totaling $850.20!! $380.00 for Excess Wear and Tear, $400.00 disposition fee and taxes totaling $70.20. As for the Excess Wear and Tear, did I mention my vehicle was well maintained? My carpets were NEVER even stepped on since the entire interior was lined with rubber flooring! There were no tears and/or burns to any seating surfaces. There were no dents and any scratches could be classified as your run of the mill light surface marks all finishes encounter at some point! With all that said, the biggest sticking point for me is that disposition fee. Or as I like to call it, a monetary gun to a consumers head to assure you NEVER leave their side. If Hyundai had such a wonderful product, the need to place a monetary gun to ones head to assure loyalty to the brand should not be necessary!!! Needless to say, I will NOT be a Hyundai customer again and my wife who is presently a Hyundai owner will not own a Hyundai in the future... at least not while I am breathing!! FINAL THOUGHT... Would you get into bed with Charles Manson? Venturing in to an auto lease with Hyundai can be eerily similar...

I own a 2013 Hyundai Veloster, first new car Ive ever purchased. My vehicle roof corroding due to poor manufacturing. Long story short Ive done the whole process for approval with the dealer (Ron **) and Hyundai claims the corrosion coverage is only 3/36. This is not what my owners manual says. It states 7/unlimited miles. Ive contacted Hyundai so-called customer care on now 5 different occasions. NONE of the people I have spoke with have ever contacted me back with resolution. The customer care line is a huge waste of time. No one there is capable of answering any question. They dont know their own manufacturers policy and procedures. It is appalling that Hyundai even claims them as customer care. Furthermore my 3-year-old vehicle should not have a roof that is corroding. Its super frustrating to be told that you cannot talk to anyone who can help. All I wanted was the time of day and someone to assist me with my concern. Instead I got the runaround for a month. A huge headache, super frustrated, no call back from anyone ever, and worst of all no answers. Do not buy any Hyundai product as they do not honor or even know their warranty policy. I will be heard on this concern as no one deserves to be treated like this.

Hyundai is a good vehicle, great value for the price. I am not a car enthusiast, just want basic functions, ease of use and some comfort. Reliability is number one. I need a vehicle that is easy to get in and out of, perfect for my height, 5ft 7in. Must have ample usable storage, as I am a DIY. Average mpg 34. Freeway average 38 to 40 mpg driving conservatively. I choose Hyundai because I felt that I was getting an okay deal at the local Hyundai dealer, and I wanted to pay cash, limited my choices. Compared to Mazda, Honda, Toyota, Kia, Ford, Hyundai was the best deal for me. However, after three years of ownership, car interior dash and door, plastic rattling everywhere. Irritating, as I dont us radio often, thus noises all the time. Upholstery is itchy and irritating on bare legs.

All I have to say is that the description provided by the sales person of this vehicle Tucson 2017 I leased is so inaccurate. He described this vehicle as good gas mileage, features, and speed. First of all he said 25mpg in city and 29mpg on highway, I travel a lot and it takes way less than that. Second of all key fob does not open the trunk even though it has a picture of the open trunk on it, I believe it is false advertisement, as it show that pic. I will read the manual and see what it say, to take further actions on this. I just dont know why would it have that pic if it will only unlock it, makes no sense for that use the unlock button. Third people are not trained well as when I called in to check if it was an electric problem the person who answer said that she checked the users manual and it was supposed to unlock it. Ask me to bring it to service to check. When I took it there, the service guy cut me off and said nope it only unlocks it and walked away, not even let me finish my question, so I had to leave, because no one will pay attention to me after they heard him saying that. Then they call me for my plates, the receptionist completely ignored me for a while, they gave me the plates and ask me if I want some one to help me put the plates. I said yes gratefully, and she page someone in service, after waiting for 30 minutes decided to leave as no one showed. This is the first time I ever review someone, so I dont know what else to put, but what I can tell you is that it is the WORSE purchase/contract I ever did. I wish I can return the car, but it will kill my credit so I have to stick with it. I hope you read this before buying/leasing a car and dont go for a Hyundai or not go to that Hudson Hyundai in NJ. I will read the manual and see what it says about the key fob, maybe it is false advertisement, and I will post it here. Dont get stocked in a car like this, it REALLY SUCKS, to live with it for three years.

So I bought out my lease for a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition. I have reported numerous times to Hyundai’s customer care team and the Hyundai case management team, about the engine problems I have been having such as oil consumption and the intermittent stalling on roadways. The intermittent stall has almost gotten me into an accident numerous times and I almost got killed at an intersection from it stalling. I have brought my vehicle in into dealerships for inspection and servicing. Hyundai USA does nothing about it and simply brushed me off. Currently I have been out of a vehicle for over a week now since the check engine light came on and I am having problems with the ECM. My vehicle is at 104000 miles and the problems started at 70k miles. I have been in and out of mechanic shops to get it fix and it still has problems. I have requested to Hyundai underpins times that it needs a new engine and they just ignore my complaints and requests. If you are looking into purchasing a car I would never look at a Hyundai for the safety of yourself and your family. Please look elsewhere. I’m still making payments on a non working piece of junk. Upon receiving the registration documents I realized that the truck was registered as a 3 ton truck. When I inquired about this, I was told by the sales person, Allan, that this was a fault by Korea. Apart from them selling me the truck under false pretenses, the front cabin of the truck is not straight, the radio keeps skipping channels and switches on even when the trucks ignition is switched off. The truck is sluggish and doesnt feel like a new truck. The engine is rattling, the interior is coming loose and the faults just continue. I have laid a complaint with customer service, but the guy, Sibusisu, just passes the buck and sends me from pillar to post. The dealer principal, Gavin, is not interested in talking to me to sort the problem out. They have taken the truck in for 7 days to identify the problems and they havent given me a replacement truck nor have they compensated me for the loss of income. After buying a 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport in October of 2016, we noticed, at the first washing of the car that the clear coat was marred in several areas. We immediately reported it to the dealer. We took it in, he agreed that it was a defect, and sent us to several different body shops to see if anything could be done. We had it detailed (at our expense) and buffed but the marred finish was still visible. The dealer then advised us to call the manufacturing which we did. After months and months of runarounds from Hyundai Corporation, we are no closer to getting our car fixed. Their case managers dont return our calls when they say they are going to and every time we call them, we have to repeat our story countless times. In 2010 I leased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I had previously purchased a Hyundai and had decided to stay with the company because I feel customer loyalty goes a long way. In 2013 my lease was up, and I loved my first Sonata so much that I decided to lease another one! I went in a month before the lease ended to shop around. The sales person convinced me to participate in the pull ahead program. This program lets you terminate the lease early as long as you sign another lease. I was excited to be in a new car a month before I originally thought I would be! Although they didnt have exactly what I wanted, I left with a new lease that day. Fast forward to today, and Im still dealing with calls from debt collectors/Hyundais corporate office saying I owe payment for the last month on my previously leased car. Despite reassurance from the local dealership that I dont owe anything, the calls continue to come. Not only to my cell, but also to my work (Im an ICU RN). Getting notifications from my coworkers that I have a phone call from a debt collector is not only embarrassing and untrue, but it is distracting from my job! This whole ordeal has made it look like I dont pay my bills, bringing my character into question among my coworkers. Not to mention the stress it has caused my husband and I. We have spent so much of our time worrying about the possibility of this royal screw up by Hyundai ultimately affecting our credit, which we work very hard to keep in excellent standing. Im so frustrated with this that I just want to be done with Hyundai completely, but they refuse to work with me to get me out of my current lease! I purchased my 2005 Hyundai, in late 2004. Since the day I owned it, I’ve had trouble with it, like from only 2000 miles on it the engine had a noise. I took it back 4 or 5 times, and they kept saying they didn’t hear anything. Well that is wrong, because the service manager that was there at the time heard it. I want to know what happened to him as he is no longer there. I went back one time to get my oil changed and found out that they only changed the filter and not the oil, which I could prove, so I made up my mind that I would never go back there for service. Now my car has only 48,000 miles on it and I have a real bad noise in the rear end. I took it up to them and they told me it was under warranty. A couple of hours later they called me and told me they would not fix the problem because of not having it serviced by them. The car would be serviced for as long as I owned the car, not by Hyundai but by my own service person, which should not matter because by law, you dont have to bring it to the dealer. This dealership has had a lot of problem with people over warranty work. I know of at least 13 people. The dealership has a bad name to begin with. Now that my car is 6-years-old, I am going to let people know just what kind of cars they have and how the warranty is nothing but a rip off. If I could talk my wife into it, I would like to paint the dealer’s name on the car to show what kind of junk it is and also let them drive it. Maybe thus I could stop another person from making the same mistake I made by buying one. You know it is a shame that when a person buys a car or truck, the first thing they look for is the coverage it has. By then if ever something would go wrong, they would not to be ripped off, like people from this dealership and the company. I will post on the internet and facebook for people to contact me, so like I said, I might stop someone from getting one of these cars. All I could say is thank you for reading this letter and to let you know my true feeling about a Hyundai.

This 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, is my 7th Santa Fe since 2001. I love the car. More room than the Toyota Rav 4, or the other SUVs in this class. As of now, there is a recall for the car. I have spoken to several owners who have had the recall fixed, and the problems with it are a nightmare. The updated software obviously isnt doing the job. The car will slow down (at any given time) if the software registers a problem. I drive on highways all the time, with my 2 yr. old grandson in the car. I cannot afford for the car to indiscriminately slow down when I have a tractor trailer or other cars driving behind me at 70 - 80 miles per hour. I offered to sign a waiver to say I do not want the recall done. They wont do it as they feel it is a safety issue. My car is fine. The fixed software issue is the real safety issue. I called the corporate office, who is referring me to a case manager. But the corporate office already said if there is a safety recall, the have to fix it, period. I asked him if there is a form that Hyundai will sign to say if I get into an accident because of the recall, that I hold them responsible for that. They cannot do that. Not that I thought they will. But I would like to have it on record, here, that I do not want it fixed, and if it is fixed, and I have a severe accident that I or my family will sue the Hyundai company. Unfortunately, my family will have lost myself and my 2 year old grandson if this should happen.

We also had spent six weeks with no car!!I was afraid dealership number one could not fix my car because they stated they only had one mechanic and were a much smaller dealership! Had car moved to second dealership who I thought was more reputable after they received it seven days later Hyundai CORPORATION is now saying it is NOT covered under warranty! So I was chastised for moving my vehicle From one dealership to the other! I have the same service records I gave to the second dealership that I gave to the first dealership where it was covered under warranty! If you can help in this matter please email me at **.

They take your money first but they will make you cry and suffer to the necessary document they need to provide you to get the charge of your vehicle. Their CS is horrible. no training, no respect for customer and flat out liars. When you complaint they just drop your call so you have to call them again and wait in line for hours. As you can see review after review and complaint after complaint which also reflect in their ratings but no improvement. I hope KARMA catches to them. Strongly recommend anyone to stay away from them. I would never buy Hyundai car so that I never have to deal with Hyundai Finance.

Was on our way home from a Holiday trip Jan 1,2020 when my Hyundai Santa Fe sport with 9,328 miles on it lost power outside of Athens Ga. Was fortunate to be able to be near a convenient store to pull into. Called Hyundai roadside service and they quickly sent a tow truck that took vehicle to nearby Hyundia in Athens. Also called a Uber to take us 3 senior ladies and our dog to the hotel near to dealership in Athens. Naturally since it was New Year’s Day the dealership was not open until the next day. Everything in response to incident was wonderful. Could have stayed in a nicer hotel, but choose one close to dealership. Got home to Florida a couple days later. I sent in the incident report with all the original receipts for the trip interruption reimbursement. Never heard back....called back end of Feb...said it was being worked on....just called back April 23, lady said nothing had been done with case since I called in Feb.? And she would have them (?) call me back. So moral of this story do not depend on getting any money back from Hyundia Trip reimbursement!

I have recently just got a used 2013 Hyundai Elantra with 32,000 miles for my birthday. This review isnt necessarily a bad one. Every once in a while when I turn on my car for the first time of the day, it makes this short, medium pitched whistling sound, and it only last for about one second or less, the noise doesnt really bother me, it just concerns me that something may be wrong with my car. I have saw some complaints about the same thing, and they said that they took it to the dealer and they said it was normal. I have yet to take my car to the dealer, as I have no time at the moment, but I do plan to take it as soon as I do have some time. By the way, Ive only had the car for about 1 month and a half. Also on a side note: the dealership we went to in Concord, NC is RUDE. Do NOT go there for a car.

Consumers please beware when buying Hyundai car. I bought Hyundai Sonata 2011 in June 2014 and the car is a piece of crap. So far I have this car almost 2 years and I already spent tons of money fixing it. Something is always wrong with it. The electrical, the gas, the brake, the fuel line... In addition I received 3 different recalls notices that the car is not safe to drive... Really 3 recalls in less than 2 years? What the **??? I have not even driven 100,000 miles or 5 years on this car yet and have spent thousands of dollars fixing the piece of JUNK/GARBAGE. So stay clear from this brand and do your homework thorough. Dont just Google it because they paid lots of advertisements money to be on top of the search page so all you see is great things about this piece of CRAP. Instead looking at buyers comments on various websites, or ConsumerAffairs to get a real picture and its condition before you buy. Personally, they LOST me as a customer forever. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM HYUNDAI AGAIN AND WILL MAKE SURE ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY KNOW ABOUT THIS. Very angry Hyundai car buyer.

Went for a drive, not even close, what happen? The Genesis was in showroom floor. Took for a drive, Wow, the car floats on the pavement. 3 driving modes, sound system you better wear earplugs. Comfort, outrageous. Noise from outside what noise. Looks beautiful. If you never seen the Genesis Emblem you would not know what kind of car this is. Kudos to Hyundai. Awesome car.

On two occasions during the past three months the battery in my 2011 Sonata Hybrid with 31000 miles has had to be jumpstarted by AAA. After the last incident last week I took the car to the dealer where the car was purchased and the battery was shown to be in perfect condition. I was told that if the dead battery problem occurs again, I should not jump-start the car, but have the car towed in to the dealer for diagnosis. Obviously an electrical problem exists, and towing the car to a Hyundai dealer will obviously be a problem, particularly if I am out of town on a weekend. I dont believe that I should have to bear the cost of travel to my home or hotel costs because of a problem due to a Hyundai fault. Because of this problem, I cannot risk travelling out of town. Please give me some advice to deal with my dilemma. Apart from the MPG issue which I have accepted, THIS is a SAFETY matter that requires a response.

My credit card was charged for renewal of the Blue Link in the amount of $148.10 on September 17, 2015. I did not receive my statement until October 21, 2015. I called and canceled the subscription but was told that I would only be receiving a prorated credit amount in the amount of ~$120 since I was one month into the subscription. I did not know I had the subscription until I received my card statement. This is clearly unfair and deceiving business practices the kind that the Consumer Affairs Division of the state attorneys office salivates over. Bought a 2012 Hyundai back in 2020 for my older daughter with 100,000 miles on it, she drove the car for 10,000 miles and the Piston Slap started to occur, drove it right to Hyundai - get the call the motor is bad, next call Hyundai will not cover it because you are the second owner, only covered for 80,000 miles but hey if you were the first owner there would not be a issue. First off who buys a car anymore with less than 100,000 miles and a ton of money. Even with the Class Action Lawsuit they are picking and choosing which engines they will replace. We are a Hyundai family. Have owned of 6 of them and sad but true this is our last, and I will never ever recommend one to anyone.Stay away, dont make the same mistake as us, bought car for 5,000 and Dealership wants $9300 to replace the engine... This will never happen. Hyundai needs to go bankrupt and call it quits because they are not here trying to make it better for these 10s of thousands people that are out a car, plus money, time spent on making calls to corporate, filing complaints all over the place just to be told over and over and over you were denied. Just at the Dealership we are at over 5 other cars sitting there because they have denied.

They completed the recalls on the connector cover and ACU programming and the light is still on! The dealer recommended I replace the front passenger seatbelt buckle, which I did and the light is still on! I suggest everyone on this site take five minutes and report your issues to the government at www.nhtsa.gov or call 1-888-327-4236. This is the only way we will get a recall to have this problem fixed. Obviously, the recalls out there arent fixing the problem so please call and file a complaint.

The airbag light was on in my 2009 Hyundai Tucson. When I took it to the dealership for diagnosis, it was found that a wire in a small assembly behind the passenger seat, that is attached to the seat belt, was broken. The dealer said they could not fix the wire because its a liability since it has to do with the SRS airbag system. There is no replacement part, so the whole assembly where the wire goes under the car, needs to be replaced and it costs thousands of dollars. The dealer contacted Hyundai and advised them that I want Hyundai to pay for this expense because it is not under warranty (60,000) and my car has 67,572 miles only. However, they responded back that Hyundai will not pay. This is a safety issue and I do not have the money to repair what I know is a defective part. I am extremely upset that they would not consider this an exception to the warranty rules, because it was never tampered with, only checked by the mechanic at the dealership and that is the only place I get it serviced. This is not normal wear and tear or a moving part and should last the life of the vehicle. And this is a serious issue.

In short: Hyundai has come a long way. As a Honda loyalist, I was nervous about choosing a brand with a history of reliability issues. I test drove every Hybrid sold in the US and much to my surprise, the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid came out on top of the many categories I laid out for myself. Hyundai really took the time to design the ergonomics, style, feature-set, and accommodations for this car, which I fell in love with. My dealer made buying one simple, straightforward, and pressure-free.In Detail: CABIN: After driving the gamut of hybrids available in the US (Fusion, Prius [+ IV, C & V], Civic, Avalon, Camry, Accord, Volt, Crosstrek, CR-Z, C-Max...) I was finally talked into at least test driving the Sonata Hybrid. My partner had a 2012 Sonata that was recently totaled, (air bags deployed, driver and passenger safe and unharmed) that we both liked a lot, so I put my brand loyalty and pride aside to appease this silly recommendation. I got in and almost immediately fell in love (with the cabin, at least). Bluetooth connectivity, Pioneer audio w/ subwoofer, 8 screen, automatic dual-zone climate control, 4 in-dash LCD screen, push-start engine, heated leather seats, contemporary (if not ultra-modern) dash design, roomy front and rear seats, tons of storage space, and an overall feeling of luxury car enveloped you the moment you sat down. The real over-the-top, wow-factor element was the panoramic sunroof with an automatic curtain system... it was just, wow.TEST DRIVE: The dealership gave me the keys and said, Well see you when we see you. Instant acceleration? Absolutely. Hybrid? No way. This Hyundai Sonata Hybrid (HSH) drove like a dream. Smooth, peppy, sporty, yet luxurious. I took it around for an hour or so and decided that it was going to be pushed to the top of my contenders list. It felt more comfortable than most of the other cars I had test driven and felt less like a Hybrid than all of them (thank you 6-speed transmission). After a day of driving other cars, the HSH felt like a retreat into a luxury condo. Everything about the car seemed to say to me, How can I make you more comfortable? How can I make this drive more exciting for you? What more can I do for you today. This car was definitely built from the drivers seat outward.RESEARCH: I was under no pressure to buy a car, so I took my time, researched all of my options and test drove every car that fit my basic parameters. As a car guru, I know most things about most cars, so my researched was aimed at filling in the gaps (i.e. owner experience, changes between 2012 and 2015 HSHs, recalls, future model introduction [at the time of my purchase, the 2016 HSH had been announced, which did encourage me to buy sooner than later, considering the design change was, in my opinion, moving backwards], dealership issues, etc). I joined the Hyundai forum for Sonata Hybrids and extensively read through threads describing issues specific to the HSH I was considering.PURCHASE: After several weeks of consideration and re-test driving the cars that made the top of my list, I finally decided that the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited w/ Ultimate Package was the car for me. Then the fun began. I called every Hyundai dealership in the Tri-State Area (VA-DC-MD) getting price quotes, availability, and dealer-specific incentives. I knew that I wanted to buy from Alexandria Hyundai, but after seeing their price match guarantee, I decided Id get the best deal possible, then have Alexandria Hyundai match it. The car at the time had an MSRP ~$33,500 (the limited package added upgraded tech, leather seats, some aesthetic features; the ultimate package added the panoramic sunroof and the Pioneer Stereo system) and I was in the market for something under $27,500. With the new 16 being released in the coming month and gas prices having plummeted, dealers seemed exceptionally willing to slash prices for almost any reason. To cut to the chase, I was able to have two Southern VA dealers battle it out to get my car down to $24,500 out the door (OTD). I was exceptionally happy with that price, brought the lowest quote to Alexandria Hyundai, and they said they would match it. They had the exact car I wanted, so I was ready to buy. I didnt haggle much from that point, because their dealership incentives were far better than any of the others (free car washes, free oil changes and tires for life, free inspections, free loaner with major service, etc). After going through the paperwork, which was a smooth transition, the car was mine (at least physically). Everything about the car was explained to me and I left a very happy consumer. 20,000 mi. UPDATE: Having had the car for 2 years, I am incredibly happy with the car itself and Alexandria Hyundai. Ive had very few services, but each time I brought my car in, I was treated very well and work was completed efficiently. The car drives like it did when I drove it off the lot that first day, with some minor wear in conspicuous places (the SONATA printed on the floor mat is less silver than it was back then). Id recommend Hyundai for consideration to friends and family; Id especially recommend the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid; and Id INSIST that if they were buying one, they go to Alexandria Hyundai in Northern Virginia.FINE PRINT: I bought the diamond white pearl model because its 10x more luxurious than the other colors. Its gorgeous enough to rival my friends Lexus RX-350 hybrid. Im still very much enamored with my car and think that 2 years later it is still one of the most attractive vehicles on the road. I am constantly told that my car looks brand new, looks and feels like a luxury car, and is sooo quiet.

Second week after purchase, the rpm needle dropped below 500 rpm a few times almost stalling the engine, then rough idle. I took it to the shop. Diagnostic said they found nothing. The 2nd time in was for abnormal rough idle, when in drive at a stop or when air con on. I had sales rep, finance mgr. and service mgr. involved with getting a resolve. I was told nothing was found. The third time, car was worse. I had sales rep and service mgr. both sit in the car to experience what I was talking about. The service mgr. took the car for a ride, came back and said, Yes, there is a problem (even a passenger can feel the vibration). But I was told by the service mgr. when picking up the car that Hyundai is aware of situation and that some Elantras out there would have rougher idle than others. This was characteristic of the car and that if they can find a solution for it later on down the road, I would be contacted. Does this make sense? Really?! I had the general mgr. (Mike **) at McCafferty Hyundai contact corp. yesterday, 4/26. I was told that they dont have an answer and if they find one, they will let me know. I was promised great service and the world, but have had frustration to the point of not sleeping. We purchased this car coming out of a used one so that we would not have any issues for a few years. If they are aware of this as Don ** (service mgr.) told me that Hyundai Corp. Service tech told him, why cant I get satisfaction? I feel like I got ripped off big time. We even purchased the extended warranty. All I get now is, Im sorry, there is nothing we can do at this time. My intelligence is undermined by saying to consider it part of the characteristics of the car. What kind of product are they putting out there? The greatest frustration of it all is that the rentals I had every time the car was in the shop were the same cars and none had this issue, and I even told them this. I just want my car fixed or find me one that does not have this issue. My first payment is coming up and I dont know what to do. Keep making payments on a car that malfunctions? I was told that they could probably trade me out of the car, but that now, its considered a used car. Is that crazy? I lose no matter what. Help me please!

My 87 year old Mother took her 2010 Hyundai Elantra to her local dealer who has always done her oil changes. She received a call from the service manager telling her the underside of her car was so severely rusted that repairs would be so expensive. He suggested she get rid of her car stating that it would be dangerous for her to drive it. Her car has 19,000 miles and is two months away from being paid off after a five year auto loan. The car had last been brought in for an oil change in December 2014. No one ever mentioned any concerns about rust only five months ago! I purchased a brand new Sonata, 2.0 Limited edition May 2016. I have 1,032 miles on the car. I was backing out of a parking spot when the power steering failed. It took roadside assistance 2.45 hours to get me and tow my car to the dealership. This happened July 16, 2016. Today is July 26 and the response that I am getting from the service center is that there are major computer problems thats causing the issue and they are working with technicians from Hyundai to get it fixed. They do not know when this will be done. I did some research and saw that there was a recall on the same vehicle prior to the manufacture date of my vehicle. I also experienced an issue with the ABS brakes. When I am stopped in traffic the brake will release and I have to press harder on the brake for the car to stop rolling. Oh, this is also caused by the computer failure. From what I have read thus far on this site, and carcomplaints.com this seems to be a reoccurring...major issue and it appears that Hyundai does not know what or how to fix it. I am very upset about this whole situation right now. Paying for a car that I cant drive. Im concerned that this will continue to be a safety issue and Hyundai has no idea how to repair it. In the middle of dealing with death in the family and having to travel out of town, I was given a loaner, but they did not want me to drive that one out of state (NC), so they gave me a rental. Its a 2016 Hyundai Sonata and would you believe that I have to go trade that car out for another vehicle today because the engine light is on. I contacted Hyundai myself to see if I could get any answers, they said they were unaware of the issue and opened a case. They said they will allow the dealership 3-5 business days to respond and would get back with me. At what point does this become a serious recall issue and we as consumers get this resolved.

On Jan. 21, 2014 I purchased a Certified Pre-owned 4 door, 2010 Hyundai Accent GLS from CarMax in Hickory, N.C. I was assured that this was a safe, reliable car, with great gas mileage. I took the car back twice within 3 days because of random noise under the hood but was told it was nothing to worry about. On Jan. 28, 2014 the car was totaled in a snow storm in Marion, N.C. while driving 40-50mph in a 70mph zone when I hit a truck that had already wrecked in my lane of traffic. I tried to slow down but the brakes locked up and I slid into the truck. I hit the truck so hard that it exploded my battery, computer, and radiator on impact and turned off. But NONE of the 6 airbags worked in my new certified pre-owned DEATH TRAP. My head bounced off of the steering wheel and then bounced back to the headrest. I suffered 3 torn ligaments in my neck, whiplash, etc. The foreign P.O.S was supposed to have 2 front, 2 side, and 2 overhead airbags and none worked. I couldve been hurt a lot worse or killed that day having no protection. The seat belt tightened so bad that I had bruising for over a week across my chest and stomach from the seat belt that felt like someone took a ball bat to me. If you have a death-wish, this is the perfect car to buy! CarMax and Hyundai passed the blame of course. CarMax said that it was the manufacturers fault and Hyundai said that it was because I failed to slow down! I asked for a copy of the black box reading results from Hyundais engineering analyzer at Hyundai Motor America in Fountain, Valley, CA and was told that the report was classified information that I could not see! The reading told the real story of why the non-working airbags almost killed me Im sure, but I was not allowed to see. Total BS! I have had to pay over $2500 for a car I drove 7 days. BEWARE! Dont BUY A HYUNDAI!

I am sharing my experience so that everyone is aware about such poor system to avoid. I co-signed a lease agreement for my son to lease a Hyundai Elantra 2017 last year. It appears that my son stopped paying his lease starting June. We, his parents, were under the impression that he is in contact with Hyundai to manage his payment, apparently this was not true.On July 22, 2017, bailiff came to collect the car. We were very cooperative and let the car go. I wanted my son to learn a lesson. This was not a joke to stop paying for his lease. However, the person from bailiff, never explained that there will be storage charges, the lease payment will continue to accumulate after he takes the car even if we no longer have or use the car, and all other fees I end up paying, simply he did not gave us an honest advise. Otherwise I would pay what Hyundai requires and keep the car without going through this emotional distress. With high blood pressure and other medical conditions it makes me feel even worse. On August 4th, I received a registered mail from bailiff explaining the charges. The letter did not include a single telephone number to contact. Being proactive, I went to the dealership for information. The financial adviser there tried to assist by calling Hyundai Capital for more information. Surprisingly, Hyundai Capital did not have an update about the car status which has been taken since July 22!!! This rep gave us the bailiff telephone number, however. The financial adviser gave me the telephone number for Hyundai Capital. I called all parties to gather information. Another person from bailiff sent me the required amount which I paid on Aug 8th, that was $1677.69.On August 9th bailiff confirmed receiving the fund and other documents were requested. However, bailiff requested additional payments for a time period I did not use the car at all as the car was/is still on hold by bailiff as explained earlier. I contacted Hyundai Finance, provided a Void Cheque with my personal banking information and authorized them to take this amount. Later speaking with Hyundai collection department they explained that this payment has to be deposited to bailiff which I did.Morning next day I received a confirmation from bailiff confirming receiving the fund and in communication with Hyundai to get release approval. I forwarded this bailiff e-mail confirmation to [email protected]. The car has accumulated storage charges, I paid lease payment for a car I do not have or used at all since July 22 until I received it back about mid August, I found myself as the one who was coordinating the conversations between bailiff and Hyundai, but yet neither Hyundai nor bailiff were willing to compensate or provide a satisfactory level of customer service.I spoke with Hyundai finance several times with false promises to call me back, never did. Finally by end of day I received a call from the auction that the car was held by that an approval has been received to release the car. I picked up the car after paying the redemption fee, storage fee and taxes. I have the car and the lease payment are in good standing since. Now, my son has been receiving letters under his name, not mine, to pay additional charges. I called Hyundai last week, they advised I am still missing a payment, however Hyundai could not specify what is this payment for, they was supposed to investigate this further from their end and call me back, Hyundai never did. Today my son received the same note about this payment. I called this evening, Oct 10, 2017, and got someone on the phone, who told me this fee is a repossession fee. However the letter doesnt say anything about a repossession fee, it says Prior billing and misc charges returned item handling. This person mentioned this was written on the agreement, I found myself forced to pay an additional amount of money I have not been expected or ready to pay. I am not sure how Hyundai expect every single person to read such agreements, and if happen how easy the terms will be understood by an average person. All these should have been explained beforehand at the dealership before signing the agreement, which never happened. This by far the worst/worst experience I ever had with such a system. I regret I considered getting a car deal from Hyundai. In simple words, stay away from such poor system.

2007 Accent problems - Where to start. First off, Ive had nothing but issues with this car. Faulty lighting, faulty sensors even my passenger air bag doesnt work, and theyve fixed it twice now. My light still remains on. I started having car issues when my car started jerking really hard when it went into gear. I took it to the dealership and they said everything was okay. My car runs like a champ. I asked them personally. Did you check my transmission? They said yes, everything is fine. I called a week later because I still was feeling the kick in my transmission. They said they never checked my transmission last time I was in. I feel I was lied to. Also, apparently, there was a recall on my car for several faulty wiring issues. I was never informed about this. I just found out in 2012 when this recall happened in 2009. Also, I got into a car accident. It was not my fault. Ive had my car took in twice for an alignment, window fixed 3 times. Also, my axle was affected in this wreck. They did not tell me this until I took it to someone else and they told me that my axle was messed up due to my car being hit. Hyundai never fixed it. Ive had something lose moving around under my car ever since the accident and they are still saying there is nothing wrong with my car and refuse to fix it. I plan on getting this car fixed then trading it in. Ive paid way too much money for things that were under warranty and should have been fixed the first time. I will never again purchase a car from Hyundai.

Stay away from Hyundai Cars and dealers. They issued a recall about an oil leak that destroyed the alternator but would not pay to replace the alternator and then claimed my phone was disconnected so they could not reach me.
