The 2026 Bronco lineup includes a range of models from more basic, adventure-ready versions to highly capable off-road variants with specialized equipment.

Transmission choices are geared toward reliability and performance, with an automatic transmission standard on most models. The powertrain options are designed to give the Bronco confidence whether cruising highways or exploring back roads.

Drivetrain and Off-Road Capability

The 2026 Bronco is known for its off-road prowess, made possible by:

My 2010 Ford Edge Limited has to be one of my favorite autos Ive had over my 44+ yrs of driving. Since I bought my first SUV back in 1992-93 I have never owned a car again. This vehicle is very dependable, very comfortable, good mileage, and a great ride all in all. If I had to in the future for whatever reason, I would buy the same make & model but I just wish Ford didnt change the newer Edges in size, theyre smaller in and out.

I bought the Ford Sport Trac new in MAY 2010. I had all the scheduled dealer maintenance completed as scheduled and the vehicle has never been off road. The four-wheel drive has been engaged twice, and the majority of the miles have been on the highway. Thirty miles from FT Leonard Wood the transmission began slipping. The vehicle was sluggish when accelerating from a stopped position causing a hazard in city driving or merging onto the interstate. The vibration increased on the highway at speeds above 50 MPH making it difficult to steer. When I arrived at my destination, I dropped it at the dealership the next day for service. The service representative called and informed 2 maintenance lights were on for engine and transmission service. I agreed to move forward with the scheduled maintenance. The dealership called later that day and informed me I needed a new transmission but could not explain what the codes meant or the cost of repair. I asked for clarification, but no one ever got back to me with an update. I received a text my truck was ready for pick up, but the staff could not explain the problem. I am now at day seven and after countless phone calls to the dealership and Ford customer service line. No one can explain the issue or offer assistance because the vehicle is not under warranty! My questions. Why is the transmission shot after only 37,000 miles? If it is replaced, what reassurance do I have this problem will not reoccur in another 37,000 miles? Is there assistance for a drive train component replacement that is supposed to last 100,000 miles and likely defective? Why is this a warranty issue and not a quality issue? The staff at the Ford customer service center try to keep bouncing back to the dealership and refuse to put me in contact with the regional manager or supervision staff. I finally got a call and they offered to replace the transmission for $5,000. Told me I could take it or leave it.

I will definitely add images of my Ford F150 truck explosions and how quickly the truck burned up our home. My favorite Ford F150 4X4 $45,000.00 Lariat SuperCrew truck (which I usually park inside my home/garage) burned and exploded several times, burning down my home (especially half the home/roof). Flames and black smoke filled the home entirely. Ford advertised for years their Ford trucks are built Ford tough. My stepbrother, a 20-plus years New York police officer, worked many overtime hours at and around ground zero (after 9/11) and I decided to buy American, put money back into building the American economy after 9/11, help Americans keep their jobs in the car manufacturing business, etc. So I purchased a new 2001-2001 Ford F150 4x4 SuperCrew Lariat truck with the best intentions based on supporting the American economy after 9/11 and based on Fords advertisement for many years that Ford trucks are built Ford tough.Nevertheless, I found out at 12:30 am, August 10, 2006, after discovering my truck burning and exploding with flames shooting from the hood and quickly engulfing the truck, flames spreading and quickly covering my home, etc. Then years later, after being lied to and lied on repeatedly day after day, month after month, year after year, 5-6 years down the horrible road of complete fall out after a fire disaster and our lives have been completely disrupted, torn apart, traumatized so severely my health, family and a good decent spacious home, nicely furnished, great property and everything else has been ripped away and destroyed to a point of no return as a direct result of the horrible mistreatment, we were received by Ford Motor Co. and their investigators and representatives. We were told 5-6 years after the fire that Ford has had this problem since early 1990s and have allowed people to purchase their vehicles without sending customers recall notices; thus, many families and children have died in Ford fires and have had serious health issues that often lead to death as a result of the significant stress from dealing with the mistreatment by Ford and their affiliates, etc. See also Fire Under the Hood,” which discussed how a four-year-old beautiful soul, Blake Washington, died after the familys Ford Expedition spontaneously burned up in their garage. The family suffered for years after being mistreated, ignored, and disrespected so horribly. Blakes mom died 4-5 years later (around February 2009) from a broken heart, auto-immune system failure and many stress-related health issues spiraling from her losses. Around 2009-2011, I read an article written by Blakes mom and dad, Tanika and Juan Washington (a military family). They wrote a detailed article about how bad Ford and Texas Instruments treated them after their Ford Expeditions defect caused a fire and burned their home and daughter. When will the President, U.S. Congress, and responsible officials help all of us who have had our lives ruined and experienced significant losses as a direct result of Ford Motor Co., Texas Instrument, and DuPonts pure negligence and criminal responsibility of making defective products costing billions of dollars that they know cause significant loss of life, liberty, privacy, property and that has systematically destroyed the entire lives of many families? We need responsible officials to help, such as the, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. President, Congress, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Brenan Center for Justice and MoveOn.org, Change.Org and every human rights and U.S. Constitutional rights organizations and attorneys who are not afraid to step up and help make the lives better of millions of Americans citizens and millions of U.S. military families who have suffered profusely. As long as Ford Motor Co., Texas Instruments, DuPont, and all the Ford dealerships can get away with making billions in profits knowingly selling defective products that cause loss of life, health, property, etc., these companies will continue to do so without any mercy whatsoever on the American public. A little injustice anywhere leads to a whole lot of injustice everywhere. And when good people know that evil exist and fail to take action to stop it, then they too are just as evil as those committing evil act. This is nothing less than homegrown domestic terrorism: to purchase a truck thats like a ticking time bomb. You never know when it’ll explode. We learned 5 years after the fire by an expert in our case that when the gears start sticking in park or drive and you have to wiggle the gear handle to change gears, thats a sign that the vehicle is in trouble. Its a very, very small minor technicality that people dont even think twice about when they may have a little trouble changing gears from park to reverse or drive and most people are rushing off to get to work, home, etc., and never even suspecting this is a small signal to a major product defect. Ford would rather wait you out with their highly paid attorneys than pay middle class or working poor people any significant compensation to get your life back on track and make you whole after their trucks caused disaster.

Yesterday, I went out to my 2003 Ford Taurus SE to go to work. As I started to back out of the driveway, I heard a loud pop. I got out to find that the drivers side front tire was completely flat. When roadside assistance came to change the tire, he discovered that the coil spring had broken, stabbing a huge hole in the sidewall of the tire. He looked & said the sway bar link was also broken. The tire alone is going to cost me $110, & I will have to have the car towed as it is not drivable. The roadside assistance guy estimated the cost of repair between $500-$1,000, a wide range, I know, but looking at this forum, it appears its going to be more on the high end. I strongly suspect both front & rear will have to be replaced, and I have no idea where I am going to come up with that kind of money. Im very angry that this year has not been recalled, especially considering how dangerous this is. Im thinking strongly of starting a petition on change.org to get Ford to change its mind.

I brought my 2001 Taurus wagon in to have snow tires installed on Nov. 23, 2011 and the mechanic said that I had a cracked left front coil spring but that it was part of a recall, so it wouldnt cost anything to replace. I scheduled an appointment and was told the offer expired on Sept. 29, 2011, which is 10 years from the purchase date of the vehicle. I called Ford to find out why they never told me of this and they claim they sent out notices, which they didnt, at least not to me. Im the only owner of the vehicle and live at the same address as I did when vehicle was purchased. Ford wouldnt budge on this. I also noticed I had a suspension/strut service done in Oct. 2005. Shouldnt the dealer have noticed the recall or service bulletin at that time? This is my last Ford, thats for sure. Its gonna cost me between $700 and $1,000 to repair. Im also selling all my Ford stock.

I am the owner of a 2012 Ford Focus which is known to have a bad clutch and transmission. While I was under warranty, I had two clutches replaced and multiple software flashes to try and fix the issue. I have only had my new clutch for about 19,000 miles but because I am now out of warranty, they are making me pay for a new one. The first service representative at Miller Ford advised that we have the old clutch and right after they put that into my vehicle, they came out with a new clutch that fixed the issues the old one is having. He explained that due to this, the new one should be covered. After they diagnosed my vehicle, they are now stating that since my vehicle has over 100,000 miles, I would have to pay for the new clutch, even though they know they put a clutch in my car with KNOWN ISSUES. My husband was active duty military and when the military tells you to move, they dont pay to transport your car so we were forced to drive across the country with our vehicle. Military families will ALWAYS have more miles on a vehicle than a family that doesnt have to move all over the country. I find Fords actions reprehensible since they know the clutch that is in my car is BAD and they JUST REPLACED it. They also advised me that when a clutch is replaced under warranty, the warranty on the part is a lot shorter than if I had paid for it. Ford knows that they came out with a clutch to fix the problems that the one that is in my car is having, but yet they are STILL MAKING ME PAY FOR IT. DO NOT BUY A FORD, THEY ARE THIEVES AND AN UNETHICAL COMPANY.

I was driving home from Wal-Mart, which is about a 20 minute drive. I am not sure what happened, as I must have blacked out, or blocked it out, but I woke up flipping over and over, and found out it was in a field. Witnesses claimed the car flipped 12 times, before landing on the roof of the car. All the windows, besides one I believe, were knocked out, and there werent airbags. I have an artificial hip, due to another wreck, where I was a passenger. I was trying to get the seat belt off, as I was scared something else would happen if I didnt get out, but it was stuck. Finally, a gentleman showed up. He had to crawl down under me, to cut the belt, and get me out, without causing more problems. The first thing I heard the policeman say was the bags did not go off, then I heard the same thing next day, when I went to pick up whatever was left. A prescription was lost or stolen. We looked everywhere, and my Tom Tom, which was in the glove box was gone. I went by ambulance to the hospital. They took an x-ray of my chest and neck, and did some CT scans to check my back. As of now, I have bruises and abrasions, but I can barely walk without crutches. The same side of my hip was replaced in 1994. My back has a large bruise, and it hurts real bad to move, cough, etc. I did not have comp or collision, as I was told, when a car is over 20 years old, they dont need it.The car is completely totaled. The roof was crushed like a v right down the middle. The medic said if my head or the v had been an inch or so closer, I would not be here. If there are this many complaints, why hasnt Ford done something about it? I was shocked. I was supposed to be on federal jury tomorrow. I had to call and cancel that. Currently, all I can do is lay in bed or on the couch, with heating pads and pain medications. I may have to call my orthopedic doctor, if I dont get any better. But my husband has been out of work taking care of me. He went back today, and the my doctor is in Charleston, about 2 hours and some minutes from where we are. He cant afford to take off constantly.

Went to get a oil change at dealer, a scheduled maintenance (I didnt have a appointment). Was told that I had to have one. I asked if I could leave it and pick it up that later that day or pick it up the next day. They made me a appointment for the next day for a oil change and tire rotation. That was in the service agreement that was prepaid. Had my better half pick the truck up. She was charged for the service. Called them the next business day, a Monday, asked how we can fix this. They return the call telling me that I need to come back for the rest of the service and I would have a check. I took it back, was informed that I have a appointment for a tire rotation, but dont know nothing about a check. Talked to the service manager by phone, was told she had no idea about this that she would bring it to me. I told her that I will not be in town, to give me a call back on Monday. NEVER got a call back. I had to call them. I was told that the general manager will call me back, that didnt happen. Got a call that they needed my address, gave it them. Got another call 4 days later. Have check, but not signed. I told them that if dont have this in my hand by Monday, I will see a 3rd party on this. This individual out of his own pocket brought it to me. I told him, THIS DEALER GIVES FORD A BAD NAME. But I want to make others aware of this establishment and this is not the FIRST time I have had problems with this dealer, BUT IT WILL BE MY LAST.

I went to the Ford Credit website on January 9th to make January payment due January 7. After making payment, I checked the box to extract payments automatically on the due date heretofore, thinking that this would start in February. Apparently by checking that box, my payment was not applied to January. There is no smart feature on that site that applies the funds to the last payment due and no payment was made until February 7, skipping January. I did not notice this and on March 2, I received a robo-call stating that my account was seriously delinquent and to call Ford Credit ASAP. This came as a total surprise to me.I spoke to a very helpful rep named Windy, who read the situation clearly, but also told me that my account was reported delinquent to the credit bureaus. She understood what happened and it was obvious that I didnt check in on January 9 for any reason other than to make payment. She referred it to a supervisor. Over the next week, I spoke to 3 more reps and 2 supervisors. They told me that I should give it 30 days. Today Im at 30 days and dealt with two people this morning who were completely unsympathetic to my issue and kept reading me the rules. My contention that the system should be programmed to apply payment to the last payment due was met with deaf ears and was told that even after submitting written complaints electronically, that they must be written in pen and ink to be considered for reversal.I have invested at least 8 hours with this company to resolve an issue that was triggered by software that is programmed by them. Hence an internal Ford issue. This can easily be resolved by a company that actually values its customers. I had a similar technical issue with BMW a few years back and it was resolved efficiently and with great courtesy. Within 3 days I received a letter of reversal from them and all three credit bureaus were notified. Ford apparently has a banking arm that is way behind virtually every other I have dealt with regard to treating its customers fairly. I will continue this pursuit to clear my credit. I will never buy another Ford product again.

I have a 2010 XLT with the paint blistering down to bare metal on both sides of the truck. (pictures attached) I am seeing this on many of the trucks of this vintage in my town and they all look very similar. Ford wont do anything about this unless there is a perforation right through. This is clearly related to the paint not being prepped properly. I also had to have the bonnet on this truck painted after 6 months after buying it new because it was blistering behind the edge of the grill. I had a 1998 xlt with 300K on it and I drove it until 2010. The driving conditions were exactly the same and the paint had no issues. I had a guy at Ford tell me on the QT that some people are drilling holes in the problem area and letting it rust to get around Fords policy and fix it. I didnt want to do this so I talked to the dealer, contacted national reps from the US and Canada on this forum.... Big fat nothing.So... after 24 straight years of driving nothing but Ford trucks my new Ram will be here on Friday. IMO Fords quality has gone down and their policy on paint sucks. Sour grapes, you bet!!! Please reply if you have paint problems. I think this is a widespread problem Ford should be dealing with. Get out your drills boys if you want this fixed.

During the past four years, I have taken it to the dealer 4 times for the transmission clutch. The last time they said there was another piece that needed to be replaced, so the transmission does not fail anymore but that piece was not cover by the warranty. I paid about $300. The car has 17250 miles on it, its 2014 Fiesta Titanium. I have been having transmission problems. Shuddering, shaking, jerking, jolting, sudden or delayed acceleration have all been problems. Low speeds seem to be an issue with it. It seems to shudder in between 1st and 2nd gears. I also have had it stall while in reverse. I have taken it to the Ford dealership, they are aware of the issue, have had multiple complaints, and said they would reprogram the software to make the shift changes more smooth. It is still exhibiting the same issues - harsh shuddering, gears slipping, clicking and noises. Its just a matter of time before this vehicle kills someone. I wasnt told that this car would operate any differently than any other car. The dealership says that all of these symptoms are normal for the kind of transmission that they sold me and that its still safe to drive. Even when I took it in to get reprogrammed for the shuddering, the technician said that its still going to do it. What?! It wasnt doing it before and now you want me to deal with a shuddering vehicle? And you say you still cant fix it? Thats terrible. Ive owned Fords all my life and this is my first new car and I feel like Ive made a terrible decision and its barely got 20,000 miles on it. More importantly, the safety. Ive had more than one close call with trying to accelerate and the transmission not responding in enough time to get out of the way. Operates unlike any other vehicle Ive owned and not in a good way.

Id give zero stars if that was possible. Back story: never owned US made car. Drove just about every brand of Japanese car out there since 83, with no major complaints. I decided perhaps it was time to give a US company a try and my research suggested Ford the best of them. I got a new Explorer. Explorer seemed like a solid vehicle until at 20k miles it started to suffer some mysterious electrical problem, the worst of which manifests itself by hitting the gas pedal and nothing happens. The revs are there, its just nada between transmission and the engine. It can last a few seconds to a few minutes and when it does finally engage, the car leaps forward similar to what happens when you drop the clutch hard on a manual car.Other things are rear view cam coming on when going forward, cruise control shutting off for no reason etc. Worst, and potentially dangerous is the dead motor thing. Left me dead in the water in an intersection the other day. Brought it to Ford service three times now. First two times, being (apparently) an electrical issue, and an intermittent one at that, of course they couldnt reproduce the problem or fix it. Third time was the charm as I walked the tech out and it did it for him in person, so he confirmed it and said he thought it was electrical vs. a transmission issue. Once they got it in the shop, you guessed it, they could not reproduce it, and no fix.Now Im getting pissed. Many phone calls, etc. later to Ford corporate, them generally doing jack** to help me, etc., they then ask me to bring it in for a 4th time! I said I would, if they would at least tell me what they would happen after #4 visit and no fix: replace the car, let me out of the lease, etc. if after #4 if was not fixed. Their response was we will evaluate that afterward in a good faith review I responded, So if after #4 and nothing is fixed, we go onto #5? They ignored the Q. Seemed pretty reasonable request to me...Hence a total non answer and yet, I should bring it in for #4 with zero commitment from them, so at that point I declined knowing it was a waste of time and all they are doing is trying to wear me down and give up. I have 7 months left on the lease. So, it appears Im stuck with Ford until the lease run out (which is me paying for a defective car), pay the lease off and walk, which is me throwing $ in the toilet on a defective car. And Ford was supposed to be the most reliable of US brands. No wonder we continue to lose market share to the Japanese, etc.

I am embarrassed to say that I have continued to purchase Ford products through the years even though they have proven to be poorly manufactured. Well I have finally learned my lesson. Never again will I purchase a Ford vehicle. Some examples, Explorer 30,000 miles cracked engine block, Excursion 52,000 miles transmission failure, Expedition tailgate paint bubbling off (they all do), Raptor 50,000 miles garage kept. A hole rusted through the bed (common).Fords response to all of these defects Drop Dead. If you wish to experience the absolute worst imaginable customer service call (800) 392-3673. I honestly felt as though they were mentally challenged so I escalated the case first to Matt ** never replied then Phill badge # ** big zero then Brian badge # ** bigger zero and finally the head supervisor Rose ** whom I would best describe her as robotic nit wit unable to respond beyond cookie cutter prepared answers. As a small business owner I purchase multiple vehicles annually as well as personal vehicles so over the course of the last 35 years I have purchased more than 100 new vehicles. The majority of which were Fords. In 2017 alone F350 $50,000.00, A Expedition EL $70,000 and most recently a Raptor $70,000.00. So I hope Mr. Ford reads this and terminates each and every one of the inept, indifferent individuals at Ford who misrepresent themselves as a customer service department.

We purchased a Ford Focus in 2013. Shortly after purchasing this car we started having transmission issues, had the clutch replaced and several other things done. We had to have the pcm/tcm reprogrammed a few times and have had a new one installed. Waiting on seals to be replaced. For the 3 years we have owned this car we have made numerous complaints to Ford and even called the corporate office for help, which does not come. We are unable to trade the car into anyone as it will not be paid off because of the transmission trouble. I just drove it for the first time since we have had the TCM replaced and I have to say this car is dangerous!Something needs to be done about this before I or my husband is killed because the car will not move. Stuttering or shuddering or whatever Ford calls it is wrong! We have been told that at least 35,000 customers are waiting for the same part!!! What is Ford going to do? This is by far the worst car we have ever owned!!! Ford needs to man up and take these cars back or pay them off so new cars can be purchased.

Diff heater went... Had replaced... Over $1,000. Found out it was a recall online. Call to see about refund in March. They said had to do it before 12-31-2018. Have receipt showing it was done in Oct... Have 5 Fords. 2014 Taurus --- fine. 2014 Flex ---- door sensors bad alarm keeps going off!!! 2011 F-350 diesel 6.7 motor blew up 10,000 miles past warranty. Cost new motor over $10,000. 2013 E-250 van rear end went 49 miles before warranty was over. Thank God. Rusting like crazy. All door hinges broke. Steering box gone. I think Im done with Ford. They do not stand behind their company and when you call customer service they do not understand what you are talking about. Are rude and what better way for them to get you off the phone!!!! Last year, front right coil spring failed and punctured the tire requiring the car to be towed and repaired at a cost of $550. Seven months later, rear drivers side coil failed. Today actually, not sure if the tire has been damaged. I will check that at time of pick up at a cost of $350. I have owned many, many cars and never had this problem with any of them. I am concerned with the other two. Fortunately, both failures were at low speeds. How can this not be a recall. Im much more concerned with the safety aspect than the cost. While Im happy to own a 5 Star Taurus, maybe 5 is rated a little too high, and lets get this thing fixed before people start getting hurt. Thanks!

I bought a 2016 Ford Focus SE with the 6 speed transmission. At 20K had the computer flashed, noticed excessive shutter at low speeds while turning and accelerating. I contacted the dealer and like they tell everyone to adjust their driving habits which I did, I use this car for business and has a lot of highway miles, I am currently at 92,000 which I planned on retiring this car at 100k to give to my wife. At 88,000 miles the transmission started slipping between 2nd and 3rd gear, unable to kick down at 50 mph to pass anyone without major slipping, in stop and go traffic it smashes into gear hard. Took it into the dealer and they say its 1800 to replace the clutches and seals and they refuse to replace it even after I told them that they are responsible because this has been a huge parts failure for years, never had a transmission fail this early on a Ford. Ford Motors still refuses to replace it because I am outside my warranty and even when obviously this wearing out obviously started a long time ago to already be bad before 100k, as the 2016 models get more miles on them we will be seeing more and more 2016s with the same issues as the previous models. I bought Ford because its American made so I thought when really its Mexican made, if I am going to buy foreign I will take my chances on Japanese at this point. Sorry Ford. I used to love you but since you have taken 2 weeks and still havent giving me an answer on a approval to fix your massive clutch issue leaving my family in jeopardy without a safe car to drive. Were finished. Ford still tries to sidestep their problems even when there are so many people with the same parts issue is unacceptable.

Fall of 2014, purchased a new Expedition (traded in an older one, which I loved). Im happy with the vehicle; just not the dealership. Whenever I had questions about operation of things on the vehicle, went back or called dealership, and they always helped. But when I hit a post because the backup system alarm didnt work – another story. Had the same system on the old one and it always worked. Now, apparently, the system was turned off. Had to be turned on, which was never mentioned by the salesman or the book. Even called Ford and they took no responsibility either – no one does, because it works – just not turned on. This was never an option in the old one & I was never told differently. Now I have a 4 figure repair, to learn this little quirk to the system, and no one wants to take any responsibility!!

This is a simple and clear issue. April 14, 2020 went to Big Valley Ford in Stockton California, located in the Stockton Auto Mall. My need from Big Valley Ford was a set of 4 new tires and a wheel alignment. Was told it would take 2 hours for the what I needed done. 1) I waited on-site at Big Valley Ford while the service was being completed, service personnel knew we were on-site. We were notified in-person by the Advisor our truck was done, within the 2 hour time frame. I was happy.2) The Big Valley Ford Advisor had us pay our invoice prior to us taking our truck, the truck was slightly out of view so I could see while paying. After the payment we walked out to the truck and noticed the tires were installed incorrectly. The Advisor agreed the Tech installed the tires incorrectly, Advisor stated, We will fix it. I was thinking okay 30mins is reasonable and asked how long, the Advisor stated it would be additional 2 hours for them to correct their mistake. The Advisor stated a new invoice would have to be created and my truck would be taken in the order of the invoice (My vehicle was at the back of the line again).I was upset and the Advisor said they would check with management to see about a free oil change in the future. I said I didnt care about free stuff just get my truck in now and fix Big Valley Fords mistake, the Advisor stated they could do that. So of-course I had no choice, I was upset and told the Advisor we were going to walk home. The Advisor said, I could try to get you a shuttle ride home, I wasnt having the TRY moment again and walked home.3) Big Valley Fords Advisor called my home to let us know the tire were done correctly and the truck was ready for pick-up. I drove my wife to Big Valley Ford to pick up the truck, saw the tire were correctly mounted. Checked the tire pressure, the tire pressure was incorrect from what was placed on the invoice. I told the Advisor and asked how long would it take to get the tire inflated correctly, the Advisor stated it will be awhile. At this point my blood was boiling but kept my cool, I said never mind. Ill use my small electric air pump at home.4) Drove the truck home from Big Valley Ford, we live about a mile from this dealership and parked it so I could get to it in the morning. I was hurting bad by this time (physically) from walking home. April 15, 2020 woke-up and went outside to air up the truck tires. I noticed one of the lug-nuts was wrong. I understand the newer vehicles have decorative caps over the lugs, checked the rest of the lugs and they had no play in the caps at all. This truck had 24 lug-nuts with no issues when I took the truck to Big Valley Ford the day prior, now I had 23 and one odd looking one.5) Drove the truck back to Big Valley Ford and showed them, they promptly replaced the incorrect lug-nut. The mileage difference from the final invoice was around 2 miles, drove it straight home and straight back to Big Valley Ford. Spoke with the service manager at this time and all he would do is make excuses and downplay the problems I had, he said the lug-nut cap probably flew off when I drove home. I had him test all the others and they were solid, his tone changed a little however the manager just downplayed the series of mistakes as not being a big deal.6) My background with Big Valley Ford, from 2003 to 2015 I have purchased 9 new vehicles for more than $300, 000.00 not including services. The last two NEW vehicles I purchased 2015 Ford Lariat Ecoboost 3.5L F150 FX4 ($60K) and 2015 Ford Fusion Ecoboost ($30K), I purchased the best warranty from Ford for both for over $5,000.00. The warranties expire in 2021.7) I have handicap plates on my truck because Im 100% disabled, this is why I hurt so much from walking home. Big Valley Ford Advisor knew this as I have had prior conversations about my military service and how I became disabled. 8) Big Valley Ford sent a free oil change coupon to my house and gave my wife 5 car-washes, again Big Valley Ford thinks giving free services makes things right. I told Big Valley Ford they had plenty of opportunities to make this right when it was happening. Customers deserve as a basic their vehicle returned in the same or better condition, all this mean is my truck should have been in better condition when I picked it up, New Tires. How many customers who didnt know Big Valley Ford made mistakes drove off, how many of these ended in accidents and people hurt or killed. 9) Ford Motor Company needs to get a head of this and do something to protect the Ford name and reputation.Updated by ** · Apr 19, 2020. I forgot to mention I took the 5 free war-wash & Free oil change coupons back and gave them to the Advisor. Talked with the main manager and he treated my issue like I was a second rate customer and he also downplayed the issues with a lack of concern. I also paid cash for both vehicles (2015s).

My Ford 500s ride is decent. And I have the 6 speed tranny. I would not have bought if it had the cvt tranny. My car has lots of leg room in the back seat, storage spaces, and trunk room. It has good mileage and acceleration, too. I like the dual heat control in the front. Dual climate control has stopped a lot of fights. :-) It has been very dependable. I like the radio controls on the wheel. However, the rear has air but not heat and that is stupid. The AC is on all the time unless you manually shut it off. Some blind spots are worse than other cars I have owned.

My F150 has 62000 miles. My service light came on and said transmission malfunction. Took to dealer very same day. After almost a month to repair because Ford dealer/Ford regional manager could not find the parts to repair the transmission, could not find the parts in the Ford system throughout the US. Picked up truck on a Saturday at a cost of $1200 and returned on Sunday. The transmission kept shifting between gears and when I stopped at a traffic light and then accelerated, it would race and then engage with a jolt. It has so far been TWO months and I still do not have my truck. I will never buy another truck from Ford again. All they have done is run you around in circles until you get exhausted and quit. The only good thing is they gave me a loaner two weeks after they took my truck so I dont have to rent a car anymore.

I got my car serviced at a dealership and soon after all the engine oil leaked out. The check engine oil light came on. I called the dealership and they said I have Fords roadside assistance so Im covered. However you are only covered up to $100. The catch is Ford will hire a third party vendor to tow or work on your car, in my case, a tow truck. Even though the car had to be towed just $25 miles, the vendor asked for $250+ and Ford obliged. So I was on the hook for $150. Needless to say the entire process is super tedious and infuriating. Most of the service reps behave as if they are doing you a favor by just talking you. On our 3rd ptu, amongst numerous repairs including but not limited to rack and pinion, control arms, carrier bearing, whole engine seal. This car has been nothing but a headache going back and forth to dealership. Half the time for warranty work (CPO Ford warranty) and the other half for problems arising from dealership lack of quality workmanship. I am currently going back because they fixed my blower motor but now steering wheel sits crooked. Car was not brought in like that. I bought a 2016 Limited Ford Explorer in November 2016, I was actually spoiling myself with a vehicle that wasnt 5+ years old. When purchasing from the dealership I had nothing but problems with the driving, had to take back multiple times as the alignment was very off. Turns out I was being sold the vehicles with tires that wouldnt pass inspection. So I just decided never to go to or use that dealership again. Now fast forward not even 4 years later. I was driving down the highway when suddenly I lose all power steering. I managed to get my vehicle back to my local Ford Dealer. I now need the entire steering rack replaced. That costs $2100 plus tax. This is ridiculous for a vehicle that is less than 5 years old. Called customer service and they say they will mark it as a case but until they have many of the same complaints or problems and Ford releases a statement there is nothing they can do about it.I am just so appalled at lack of concern Ford has shown that this young vehicle has this serious of a problem. This is defective and should not be blowing like this. Weve always been a Chevy family & took a chance on this vehicle, what a wrong decision I have made. I have never had to drop that kind of money on any vehicle, I drove my Chevy Trailblazer well past 200,000 miles before I had anything more than your wear & tear issues.I remember over a course of a summer I had to drop about $3000 overall for those wear & tear issues. Now I have no vehicle of my own to drive until this is repaired and I have to wait a few days for parts to be shipped. So what am I driving while I wait for mine to be fixed? Well I am driving my Dads old pickup, a 2005 Chevy Silverado. I had loved this vehicle up until now, and I am going to now look at getting rid of it because what other major problem is going to happen next. Plus I was lucky this time that no one got hurt, that I didnt get into or cause an accident when I suddenly lost steering control on a highway of 65 mph.

Before I retired we purchased a new 2014 Ford Edge. At 32,000 miles and 3 years old we had paint bubbling on the passenger side rear door where the door skin is crimped around the door shell. I took it to our local Ford dealership and it was scheduled in the body shop for a repair. Once completed it looked great. However, being a mechanic and building and painting street rods, I feared the corrosion would return. I voiced my concerns and was told the repair was guaranteed. At 39,000 miles and less than a year I returned to the dealership with more corrosion than ever. The dealership took photos and submitted them to Ford who denied any warranty. I contacted Ford and was told it had to have rust holes to be covered. Im so picky with my vehicles. I was furious. 2011 Crown Victoria - At 40K miles the vent control module stopped working. At the same time the cigarette lighter and 12 volt accessory plug started experiencing intermittent power failures. I had the dealer check out both problems and they said it would cost $1000 to replace the vent control module (plenum) and air box. They could not find any electrical problems with the cigarette lighter and accessory plug.I had my mechanic replace the plenum and air box for $850. Parts were $350 and the Ford dealer had 20 plenums and air boxes in stock. Seems Ford knows there is a problem with these units and they keep plenty in stock. Its a quick money maker for them it seems. Electrical problem - I tested the cigarette lighter and found that there was a problem with the ground wire. I removed the drink tray to get to the wiring and discovered that ground wires had been connected using a flat wire connector. Over time the wires were so flattened by the connector that they had broken off. I removed the flat connector and re-connected the wires using a standard round crimp connector. Problem solved. The Crown Victorias have been produced by Ford for over 10 years and you would assume that most problems would have been resolved during that time. Unfortunately, it seems that Ford keeps using cheap parts in their vehicles and the owners of these vehicles will constantly be on the hook for repairs. No wonder ford sales continue to decline.

Writing this because people have been complaining about this and wondering which direction to turn? My daughters boyfriend was in need of a new car. I suggested the Ford Fusion so he purchased a new 2016 in December. The car now has 10,000 miles on it and it stopped running. We have had the car in the local dealership and they have found wires that have been chewed by rodents that number one are not covered by warranty. After going on to Google, I have found that this is a problem that many new car companies are finding. The wiring that is being used is of a material that rodents love and find irresistible to chew. My question is who is going to pay for this if warranty doesnt cover this? Do we have to sue? Also who do we sue? This is not going to be inexpensive? Just really cant believe with all the people complaining that something is not being done. Please respond -- you can call me **.

Two weeks ago l took delivery on a new ordered Ford Lariat f150, paying 52000 plus tax in full. Beautiful high end truck with 20 inch chrome wheels. Two days after taking delivery I was installing wheel locks. I noticed one rim was damaged with two 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/8 puncture marks in the chrome which were starting to show signs of rust and had fine scratches in the chrome as someone tried to remove the defect. It appears that someone dropped the rim and tire on some sort of sharp object. I returned to the Ford dealer where they took pictures and filed a complaint with Ford. Declined, they appealed a second time and that was declined by Ford. The dealer has offered a new rim for an additional 500 plus dollars. Advice, just because a vehicle is expensive and new check the cosmetics of the vehicle THOROUGHLY. Dont close the deal if you see any cosmetic damage. Dont expect Ford to provide ANY assistance for this type of damage.

The car has 41000 miles on the vehicle with a 65000 mile warranty. The car was in the shop for a complete overhaul on the transmission. This took over 30 days to repair. I received the vehicle back only to find out the issue was not resolved. I then returned with the vehicle to be repaired. They performed another overhaul on the transmission. The vehicle is still not fixed and this time it’s been almost 2 months. My ** case manager is Michelle **. Regional Customer Service Person. She told me the vehicle will not qualify for a buyback because I’m a secondary owner. I have to stay on top of this person consistently to find out the updates on the vehicle. This is a common issue with the Ford Edge vehicles. She can’t give me a time frame of when the vehicle will be returned or the status on the current issue. I have continued to make the payments on the vehicle. Michelle hasn’t made any attempt to accommodate me even after asking. I will never buy an American-made automobile again. Find a manufacturer that will give you 100,000 miles out the gate. That tells you they believe and stand behind their product. We have taken our 2008 Ford Edge into the dealer five times for this same issue over the course of five years. We had the extended warranty but that has run out and the fix is now $1600.00. It seems Ford had put faulty heater cores in the car and the solder inside the heater core is flaking off and plugging it up. Every time we returned the car to the dealer they flushed the system out and put a special coolant in that you cannot even buy in your local auto parts store. If you Google this issue with this vehicle there are hundreds of websites talking of this problem. If Ford knew the issue was the heater core why would they not issue a recall for replacing them and not just flushing them? COST. Why should their customers be forced to foot the bill for their error? After bringing in a vehicle for the same problem five times you would think that would constitute replacing the heater core? If Ford was in fact about customer satisfaction like they claim. I guarantee this will be my last Ford product and I will sway family and friends from buying their products.

My husbands 2015 F150 has a recall on the door locks. When it was getting fixed, we were contacted that two of the door actuators were bad so they needed to be replaced. It was never confirmed, by us, that they should fix BOTH of them. When my husband got a call that his truck was finished, they said they ended up fixing both actuators and we were responsible for paying over $550. I will be contacting Ford for a refund. Horrible service.

On May 9, 2016 in Manchester NH our 2015 Ford F150 Lariat spontaneously caught fire and destroyed itself and a car in the adjacent parking spot. The vehicle was parked a few feet outside our office window when smoke came pouring out of the hood of the truck. The truck was unattended, was NOT running, just suddenly started burning out of control. It eventually burnt to the ground, destroying the front of our office concrete walls, office windows, pavement, and the car next to it.

I was initially very excited about what appeared to be very positive changes at Ford, and purchased both an F150 FX4 pickup, and a Lincoln MKC SUV. Nice to feel good again about buying American vehicles. But I learned the hard way that Ford does a terrible job of standing behind their products. With the F150 truck, there was a brake booster recall that took months to resolve. And they will use any excuse to not honor warranties. On the truck, bubbling rust started to appear on one of the running boards with less than 30,000 miles on the vehicle. When I initially went to the local dealer to have the truck washed and have this looked at, they told me to come back because the car wash wasnt working. I came back 2 weeks later (the dealer is not convenient to get to) and was told that even though the truck had less than 30,000 miles, it was now 11 days out of warranty and Ford might not cover the repair. The claim was submitted and Ford denied it. Yet clearly this rust problem did not just magically appear just after the warranty expired. Fords decision to not honor this minor claim shows how little they value their customers. And that they dont stand behind their products. As the saying goes - people vote with their feet. Thankfully there are many worthy competitors that prioritize customer service. I have learned a lesson and will never buy another Ford product.

I have had over 5 Ford vehicles in my lifetime and owned 3 within the last 5 years. However, that will change after this ordeal. Summer of 2018 Ive purchased a 2018 Mustang GT. Very nice car, good performance, all that I needed, right? Wrong! Around 7K miles, shifting from one gear to another became difficult. So I took it over to dealership where I purchased at for them to honor the warranty. They did but it took nearly two months for them to complete due various reasons. So I contacted the Ford company itself to see if could help me in some way to compensate me for the loss of use as well as a form of guarantee that the vehicle could go on for many miles more and years to come.At first, the initial Ford rep was very responsive and willing to provide several solutions to my issue. Therefore, he escalated to the regional rep within Maryland. The Maryland rep was the total opposite, she was belligerent, refusing to offer even the least bit of assistance. She went on to make it appear the fault of someone hitting me in the back (Which was a minor accident) for which was not concluded to cause the transmission issue. The issue concerned an inferior part which had to be replaced. I graduated with a degree in Automotive Technology so I clearly understood that it was a failure in the shift fork which slide the release bearing back and forth on the input shaft, thus engaging of disengaging the clutch and flywheel connected to the pressure plate! It would have to be a severe accident which would have to somehow dislodge the engine and transmission bell housing to disturb that specific internal part!!Although, I have some unresolved issues with the dealership, they did a good job with the repair as far as I can tell so far. However, when one drops nearly $45k on a car they dont expect it to fail two months later in such a huge way which requires a complete teardown. So with all this said, Im going back to Chevy and Nissan for now on.

I paid $3600 for the Premium Service package that is contracted in my payments each month. I cant get that money back. Fletcher Ford in MO said that my Ford has never had my Premium service done. Ford complaint center said it has. Fletcher Ford service center said that my rotors were ground down so bad that I need new rotors. Ford Complaint center claims that they were never touched by any service according to my service records. Ford tried to say that I ride the brakes too hard and that is why they are ground down so much. I had another Ford truck that I put over 400,000 miles on and never had to change the rotors. I dont ride on my brakes. I believe that there was some dishonesty along the way.Ford has always serviced my Ford truck and they kept up the brakes. My brakes are right now 70% to the good so why would anyone grind down my rotors? The only thing I can think of, is so that I would get Ford service to replace them and thats how they make more money on your vehicle along the way. Thats what the Premium service is all about to me, is to get more money out of you along the way by doing dishonest service to your vehicle, so it seems!

I bought a Fiesta at N1 City Ford in March 2016. I was happy with the vehicle up until December, when the aircon system of my car stopped working. It basically just started blowing off hot air instead of cold. I took it to the Ford in Claremont but was told that I have to come back in Jan 2017 because their workshop had closed of the December break. In Jan 2017 I then took it Ford Tygervalley which was the closest Dealership to where I lived. Basically, they couldnt help me either. They told me that they had to regas the aircon, (which they did). Strange how a brand new car less than a year would need this done, but anyway, I took the vehicle, but about a few weeks later, I noticed that the problem, was actually not fixed at all. I then decided to take it to N1 City Ford, since thats where I bought the vehicle. The first time I was there, they basically told me that there was no problem with the aircon, and this was diagnosed by simply idling the car and then turning the aircon on. I came back to them a few days later and then the car was booked in to be checked. I was told that the aircon controller has to be replaced, which would cost the warranty about R13 000. This was then DONE, I was given back the vehicle and told that all is sorted. After just a few days, I went back with the same problem. All that was done again on this day was to idle the car and turn the aircon on. I was told it works and made to feel the air coming out which was cold. I told the service consultant that the aircon is cold only when the car is idling and not when its on the road. I then went back to them AGAIN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, and this time, I insisted that they take the car for a drive, and feel it for themselves. It was taken, driven around the block AND FINALLY AFTER MORE THAN 4 MONTHS, they admitted that the aircon does not work. Had to book the car in YET ANOTHER TIME. By this time, the date was 25 April 2017. Until today, the problem is not fixed, and I have a car sitting at the dealership, yet I am paying installments every single month without fail. The service has been anything but great for me. They insist I take the car back, up until the ordered parts are available. I have refused this, simply because the car is not fixed, and this is not what I contracted with Ford for. They dont want give me a car in the interim, AND I AM INCONVENIENCED.I am extremely disappointed with Ford, and their lack of customer satisfaction. It has been OVER 4 months, and I have had to suffer through the whole of summer, and drive a car with no aircon. I have been more than patient with them, but still the problem is not solved. I dont have a car, yet I am paying for one, and I AM NOT SATISFIED AT ALL.

We purchased a Ford Edge for the specific reason of towing it behind our RV. The dealership assured us the transmission was built to enable us to tow it four wheels down. This part is true, but what they neglected to tell us is that the car does not charge the battery unless it is idling or being driven, leaving us with a completely dead battery after even an hour! After talking with the customer service at the Ford Corp... thats it. Pretty much too bad. The manual tells you to start the car after 4-5 hours of towing, which is difficult since it is dead after one hour. Ford could not even give any assistance in what could be done as far as spark plugs, trickle charger, etc. Too bad... a $27,000 mistake. I wish I had my CRV back; no problems whatsoever!

A few years ago, I purchased a 2004 White Police Interceptor Crown Victoria. Shortly after the purchase, I noticed that the paint was peeling and blowing away with the wind. This was not my first experience with this condition, so I knew immediately what was wrong. Incompatibility between the paint and primer used at the factory. At the start of flaking, I scraped away the loose paint on the edges of the patch, primered it with a spray can hoping to seal the edges and not allow the wind to lift more of the paint. Then I repainted the spots with a spray can of white paint. Sorry to report that this patch only lasted a matter of weeks before the wind got under the original paint once again and flaking continued. I have a bunch of pictures showing this condition covering most of the roof and trunk lid as well spots on the rest of the car. I had thought of putting a sign on the car stating that this was an original Ford paint job that was flaking away, but I havent done that yet. I had to at least prime the roof spots because rust was starting to show. I called Ford service only to find out the people who answered were not Ford employees, but a company hired as gatekeepers to fend off pesky complaints that they probably dumped in the trash at the end of each shift. Apparently Ford is not interested in owning up to their mistake with the paint job as they have ignored my request for a fix. As I said above, this is not my first experience with this issue.I purchased a 1986 Ford F-150 that exhibited the exact same problem with the paint, and after much correspondence with Ford (at that time you could talk directly to a Ford rep.), they recalled the truck, stripped the paint completely and repainted the whole truck. I am very pleased with this car in every other way and would be forever grateful if someone out there could reach into Ford and bring this to their attention, and hopefully, a satisfactory resolution. Thanks.

At the beginning of June I was lucky enough to notice that one of my doors was not closing before I left my parking spot. I had the car towed in to a Ford service center and was expecting it to have it fixed within a couple of days. I mean it is just a door latch (which they made out of PLASTIC by the way). After a few days of waiting I find out that they want to hold onto the car until at least September, for some reason they dont have this simple part anywhere in stock. Thats at least 3 MONTHS without a car that I am paying monthly and they are offering some rental car reimbursement for a small compact car which is only about $30 a day and I think the cheapest rental car is $35, nowhere near the value of the car I am leasing from them. If it was only for a week or two then I would have no problem with that. I have called them numerous times in order to work something out, maybe get the same value car rental compared to the one I am leasing, but they dont want to do anything. The customer means NOTHING to this company. You are absolutely 0 to them. As long as they are getting money from you they dont care how you are being inconvenienced.I had the pleasure of speaking to the regional manager of Ford in NY and she was utterly useless. The first time she called she couldnt even locate the car after I gave her the VIN and the dealership where the car is located. The second time she called she basically told me she cant do anything using her resources, another word I heard thrown around while on the phone with them. Its like they work on favors. She made it sound like I should feel privileged that they are even offering me a rental in the first place. She told me that the dealer can use their resources, again this word, and try to get the part faster or something. They are basically making me call everyone for them instead of them solving the issue. Its not my job do that, its theirs. Its the reason why they get paid. In my opinion this person gets paid for no reason and her job should be given to someone else that can actually help the customer. So to review: stuck 3 months without a car I am paying for, Ford is offering a partial reimbursement for a rental, Ford regional manager is useless (she does anything but manage). I will never in my life consider buying/leasing a Ford product again (including Lincoln).

I like the sound system in the Mercury. Trunk is extremely roomy as well as the overall space and its a pleasure to drive when its not broke down. Love that the seats recline all the way back and the back seats fold in for added cargo space for the trunk. But Im not really pleased with this car like I would have hoped to be. It has been unreliable on several occasions and its giving me more headaches than pleasure breaking down on me. Also the console is way smaller than I expected and I wanted a deeper glove box. The drink holders arent adjustable for bigger cups which is very aggravating. I also wanted the car to come with 5 star rally wheels instead of standard spare tire. I wish that the overall length was a little bit bigger and the access to certain areas under the hood was better aligned for easier working space and the doors and windows access for the back seats are made ridiculous.

i bought a brand new right off the factory 2011 Ford Fiesta. All of the issues started after the first year at about 9000-10000 miles. I am just over 20000 miles. First the car would have problem accelerating. Took it to the shop. They just reprogrammed the transmission. That took care of it for a few months. Next during my oil change I found out that a part with the transmission was leaking so they replaced that. About 2 weeks ago my car was making odd noises and didnt know which gear to use especially at lower speeds, jerked severely when speeding up after a complete stop and wheels would just rotate before actually catching traction (tires are new) so they replaced the clutch. Today my car is there again because it is making a horrible metallic scratching noises when braking, turning or accelerating. They are saying my brake pads worn out (at 20000 miles) and it affected my rotor. So far I am still under factory warranty. If I was not all those repairs would probably cost me as much as the car itself. I dont want to wait till my warranty runs out and have to start dishing out money to repair a car that is still considered relatively new. I want them to replace my car or give me my money back. I am not taking that car back from the Ford service center.

In 2016, we purchased a Ford Focus (with the dreaded automatic dual clutch) with ~35,000 miles. We paid extra for a 100,000 mile extended warranty. Within the first few months of owning it, it started shuddering. We took it in and they suggested we use an aftermarket air filter (green filter). We did so, and the shuddering was reduced.Five years later, the car has 67,000 miles on it and it started shifting pretty hard and the shuddering was more pronounced. We took it in and I told them I suspected the TCM was bad (which was still under warranty). They told me I was wrong and it was the clutch (which of course, isnt under warranty). I said that didnt sound right because the clutch was rated for 100,000 miles... So either the TCM was bad, the TCM caused the transmission to shift improperly, which caused the clutch to wear out prematurely, or it was a defective clutch. We went back and forth and they ENSURED me that it was the clutch. $1,600 and a new clutch later, they call me back and tell me Actually, I guess it IS the TCM. When I asked about a refund for the clutch, they told me to pound sand. The car has now been in the shop waiting on a warranty repair for the TCM for over four months. We call weekly for an update and there is still no expected completion date. They said it could be as long as a year. We just want to get it repaired and sell the piece of crap so we dont ever have to deal with this headache again.

I was told that Ford does not provide loaners for either recall. This is totally unacceptable. Safety Concerns with Ford Motor Company - 2/16/2013: As we merged on to Lakeville Highway, Petaluma, CA we began to accelerate and the vehicle revved but would not shift out of first gear. We contacted Ford Motor Company and the vehicle was towed to Henry Curtis Ford of Petaluma. My mother-in-law drove from Brentwood to Petaluma to pick up my husband, myself, and our dog. Sales manager William said he would reimburse her cost for gas and work on a rental if they determined Ford was liable for the vehicles issue.2/18/2013: Henry Curtis Ford contacted us stating the vehicle had a lot of codes they would need to weed through to determine what the issue was with the car (which is different than what the original receipt stated). Henry Curtis Ford said we could now have a rental vehicle and sent us to Enterprise. Enterprise rented us a Chevy Impala. 2/20/2013: Enterprise asked us to return the Impala and exchanged it for a Dodge Avenger. 2/21/2013: Henry Curtis Ford claimed the vehicle was fixed and could be picked up. Future Ford and Lincoln of Concord arranged to have the vehicle driven by Ford from Petaluma to Concord.2/22/2013: Per Future Ford of Concord, the vehicle would arrive at my work when I was off at 1:30pm so I should return the rental, which I did on my lunch break. Future Ford of Concord called to let me know the vehicle had an issue on the drive to Concord from Petaluma; it would not shift gears or accelerate. Future Ford of Concord picked me up and took me to Hertz to get a rental, a Mazda 3. I went to Future Ford to get my receipt from Henry Curtis Ford. The receipt basically said nothing was wrong with my car, no errors came up on tests, and it was returned. This is different than what my husband and I were told from the Service Advisor. I called Henry Curtis Ford and left a message for Joseph **. I spoke with the Service Advisor Andy ** at Concord Ford and asked his notes be thorough and include all communications with their technicians, any tests or maintenance performed, and documentation of our communications. I discussed my concerns with the Sales Manager William who appeared concerned about the situation. William assured me he would be able to reimburse Angela for the gas, but since she was not local, he would have to look into how.2/23/2013: Concord Ford detailed the Mazda 3 rental since it had a funny smell and Hertz is not open on Saturdays. 2/25/2013: I spoke with Andy ** at Future Ford to try and understand the issue and procedure to correct it. I called Ford Manufacturer and opened a claim. The claim was escalated and assigned to Leslie ** (866-631-3788, extension **, email: **). I spoke with Joe **, Service Advisor at Henry Curtis Ford, and advised him of how the receipt was written. He said he would fix it and send it back to us. 2/26/2013: I left a message for Leslie since I had not heard back. 2/27/2013: Leslie called me back on 2/27/2013 and stated a Ford script that they stand behind their warranty and asked if she could offer me a Service package to help with my trouble. I told her I was scared and I have never been in this sort of situation. I asked how long this may go on and she said she had no idea. 3/1/2013: I spoke with Andy ** at Future Ford. 3/4/2013: I went to Future Ford to check in on gas refund from 2/16/2013. William had not yet found a way to refund the gas, such as providing a gift card. William said he would have a check sent to Angela. 3/5/2013: I called Joseph ** at Henry Curtis Ford and asked if the receipt was updated or mailed. He said it had been updated and mailed but he would mail again since we did not receive. 3/6/2013: The Mazda 3 rental began to smell again, so I exchanged the vehicle for another option at Hertz, a Chevy Cruz. I contacted Ford and spoke with Leslie. I told her I was so upset and I wanted to drive my car and I was unhappy with the rentals. I pleaded to have my car fixed, replaced, or a buyback. She said she couldn’t fix it any sooner, so I said to go forward with the buyback. This conversation was really hard. I was literally to my breaking point, in tears, and she made me feel like I was asking a favor they couldnt fulfill. Leslie spoke down to me and said she couldnt control what they had at the rental agency and she could only file requests for buybacks, which could take up to 10 business days. Ford has the buyback starting on 3/7/13 and Leslie insisted multiple times in future conversations I requested it on the 7th. I didnt see a point in arguing, but I took notes and documented the 6th personally.3/8/2013: I spoke with Andy ** regarding parts and status. 3/14/2013: After another request had been made with Joseph ** for the receipt to be sent and it was not received (exact date of second request was not documented), I drove to Petaluma to get the receipt. The receipt was still not updated to the same information they had said over the phone; the only note that was added said the issue may be related to PCM. This was never mentioned to us during the time the car was in Petaluma; it was only something thought to be the issue after Ford in Concord had got the issue to occur in a picture they took and sent to a Ford technician, via their hotline. Rick **, Service Manager at Future Ford, calls to tell me they are still waiting on a part called the PCM, but it is on back order and they will not receive it in their factory until the 20th and have an emergency order to have it in expedited. I was in the Petaluma dealership and missed the call. I called Rick back upon leaving and left a message asking him to call me back. I called Leslie ** (assigned to my claim with Ford) and left a message. Upon getting home, Joseph **s receipt was received in the mail.3/18/2013: 30 days no vehicle, 8 business days into buyback request, and no follow up. I called Leslie ** and left a call back message. 3/19/2013: I went to Concord Ford, left a note for Rick ** to call me back, and spoke with William about the check for Angelas gas. He had her information and said he was still working on getting it made. I spoke with Andy **. 3/20/2013: I stayed home from work to focus on getting this resolved, 32 days in. I called Leslie and left another message. I went to Ford Manufacturer’s Customer Service to request my issue be addressed, escalated, or resolved. I spoke with a gentleman named Bruce who assured me I could get a call back from Leslie or her superior within 1 business day. Bruce was a very kind representative who conveyed a sincere tone and empathy. Leslie returned my call later in the afternoon. The conversation was really intense and it was clear she was irritated with me and felt she did not need to check in with me until she had more information. I dont even know how to write how this call made me feel. It was emotional and it impacted my judgment of Ford more than any of the issues I had with my car. I have never been made to feel as insignificant by a company as I was that day. There was no regard for my situation or remorse for them being the reason it was caused. Leslie was cold and uncooperative. End of the business day, Rick ** from Future Ford of Concord called to say they fixed the problem. I shared with him we are afraid of the vehicle and for our safety. I requested they leave the vehicle there since we will not risk driving it, or to tow it to our home. They said they would keep it there until they heard back from Leslie **.3/21/2013: I called Leslie and pleaded for an answer and she advised they had not returned a response and that the buyback request is dealt with behind the scenes and she will let me know when a decision is made. I asked why it was taking longer than the ten business days she stated and she said it can take longer in different situations. She said if I went through BBB, it would likely take 30 business days. She said she may hear back on Monday and she would call me then as she was out of the office on Friday and the weekend.3/25/2013: I called Leslie and left a message in the morning, a second in the afternoon, and called one last time in the evening, and she answered. She advised she did not have any additional information and would call me when she did. 3/27/2013: I called Leslie in the early afternoon. I received a callback in the early evening. Leslie said the buyback was declined and could not elaborate as to why. The response I was given after 15 business days was It did not meet your state’s Lemon Law requirements. Leslie ** offered to pay 1 months car payment for my inconvenience. She stated the check will be processed through the dealerships accounting department, which usually takes 10 business days.3/28/2013: Future Ford of Concord asked me to pick up my vehicle and they could not tow it as there would be an expense to Ford. 3/29/2013: I picked up our Fusion from Future Ford in Concord. My husband drove the car home. Prior to the issue, the vehicle seamlessly shifted through all the gears. Now you can feel a distinctive shift in gears from first gear through third. The vehicle now also has a rough idle as if it were under a slight load, similar to the air conditioner is running.3/30/2013: I went to Future Ford to ask Andy to update the receipt. The write up did not specify the issue is intermittent. Andy stated the car shifts hard since it is an adaptive transmission, which learns how you drive. This left me concerned on how they drove my vehicle when they put the 100 miles to test the replacement PCM. Angela received the check in the mail for the amount of $67.50. 3/31/2013 - 4/1/2013: The Fusion is in our driveway as we are afraid to drive it. I received a ticket in the mail addressed to my husband and me, stating we went through a tollbooth for the bay bridge on 3/20/2013 at 12:09pm without paying. The ticket said we owed a total of $29.00.4/2/2013: I went to Future Ford and asked to speak with the General Manager of all operations for the location. William said he was the General Manager of sales and could assist. I politely declined but gave him the copy of the ticket and waited 14 minutes for him to return. He tried to review the issue with me but I politely declined. He asked me to wait another moment. I waited for 2 minutes until he returned and brought me to the Service area to speak with a Service Manager. I politely declined and asked to speak with the General Manager of all operations for the location. Rick ** assisted me 2 minutes later. I advised Rick ** (General Manager of Future Auto Center of Concord) of my issues, concerns, and request for the buyback. We discussed the situation. He seemed to have a realistic understanding of my situation and advised he would attempt to bring the issue to the manufacturer’s attention again and contact me on 4/3/2013 to touch base or provide feedback. Rick also confirmed a check would be in the mail the following day for the Fast Trac ticket. I emailed Rick ** my letter for my buyback request, and the timeline (up-to-date timeline).4/3/2013: I received an email from Rick **: “Thanks for the information and sharing your concerns. I have spoken to our Ford Zone Manager for Fixed Operations and provided him your information. I have asked him to review the information and see if there is anything else that can be done. He has told me that he will be contacting you in the next 24 hours and will have the file reviewed, which may take a few days. If you could please shoot me an email when you hear from him, I would appreciate it.”4/3/2013: I received a call from Brian with Ford Motor Company who advised me of his meeting and conversation from Rick **. He stated he intended to escalate my situation and concerns with Ford Motor Company and request my file be reviewed again. He stated he would follow up no later than 3 business days. I replied to Rick **’s email: “Rick, Thank you for your follow-up email. I appreciate your involvement and pursuit of my concerns. Brian called after leaving the Concord Future Ford office and advised he would escalate my situation with Ford Motor Company. I should hear from Brian within the next 3 business days.” 4/4/2013: The Fusion is in our driveway as we are afraid to drive it.My husband and I were both excited and anxious to purchase a new car. The monetary commitment involved in this investment was daunting to us, so when making this decision, we naturally looked toward Ford, a company we have always trusted. Regrettably, the ensuing debacle we have become embroiled in to obtain a Lemon Law buyback has made us second guess the decision entirely. We feel it is apparent that there is a failure on the part of Ford to address this issue in a timely manner. According to the Lemon Law of California, part of the criteria to have the company buy back a vehicle is that the owner is unable to use the vehicle for 30 days due to an automotive problem that puts the owner’s safety at risk. This is exactly what has transpired, and yet we were denied by Ford Motor Company for the buyback request. As a result, we are now taking any and every action reasonable to obtain a buyback. Further, we have engaged in a grassroots campaign on Facebook, created fliers, and pursued other creative methods to inform the public of the poor treatment and problems we have endured by purchasing this particular Ford product. In order to rectify this negligence, please assist as follows (listed in order of preference): (1) get the buyback request approved; (2) exchange our current vehicle at no additional cost (unless the new vehicle is of a greater cost than the original overall cost including all taxes, fees, incentives, and cash down). We agree to honor the difference in mileage at a prorated price to ensure this costly imposition is resolved in the quickest, safest, and most satisfactory way. Thank you in advance for your help.

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE A FORD!!! They do not back their product even when they have a known issue. Most $$$ car I have ever bought, 30K, only 2013, 50,000 miles now and sunroof wont even close. Car in service center before for running slow and same issue. Now needs a complete frame replacement?!?!?? Of course not in warranty or even the extended warranty I PURCHASED. Want me to pay $2600 to replace frame. I have not bent the frame or had a wreck! Garage kept car. Its obviously defective Ford part. I guess I will use an umbrella to keep the weather from my 3-week old. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD OR AMERICAN MADE POS! Had 1 Toyota, 2 Nissans and 2 Hyundais and had NO problems. Paid much less, much older and got 200,000 plus miles on them. Only get the run around when you call customer care. Service manager gives you the number but customer care says manager has final say. Manager goes out of town before discussing decision with you. When you make original call, everything is always we cant look at it for at least one week, til you ask to talk to manager then it changes like magic. Sure I will drive around with sunroof open for a week until you can even look at it.

We drove a very short way to our local tractor supply company to pick up feed. I was in the store for about 15 minutes. When I got to the register someone said, Theres a truck on fire in the parking lot! The fire had just started. It was up in flames and burnt to a crisp in less than ten minutes. Flames shot 20 feet up in the air and it melted the pavement under the truck. We would have been dead if it had happened twenty minutes sooner. The fire department made it in good time, but the truck was already totaled. Everything in the cab was ruined, including all three childrens car seats. Thankful I have comprehensive insurance. Its a total loss. I have no truck. >:-o Up until this point, this truck ran like a top and was very reliable.

When I leased my 18 Escape I immediately noticed the variable transmission was shifting strangely. It is one of the new versions that pause when you are stopped at a light. However it was banging into gear at times. I brought it in, they did some work on it, and when I left the problem was still there. I went back to the dealership the next day, drove with the service advisor (very nice guy), and was told that is actually the way it should be working. At that point accepted my poor purchase and moved on. Fast forward 6 months later the car is now lurching forward as it shifts into gears at sporadic times. Totally unsafe, not sure what to do. Does anyone else have this issue?

Ford Billy Howell Cumming sold and serviced the Ford Fusion 2011, and said it was 100% when I bought it. But less than a month and half later the Power Steering Assist completely FAILED! I asked for them to apply the recall as shown on internet: 44,000 Fords (same model, same problem) have been recalled for this VERY SAME problem, but FORD claimed that based on the vin number we are DENIED the recall. They say for another $2,000 theyll fix it! Still, the same model, the SAME year, the SAME problem, has been recalled. But nobody at Ford can explain why we are NOT entitled to the same recall, nor how to submit a claim, and Ford NEVER called back no matter how many times we called and left messages. They promise to call back but never do. My car has now been standing at the shop for 6 months. It CANNOT be driven AT ALL without it being fixed! It should be replaced as per recall done to 44,000 other Ford cars!

I recently purchased a 2016 Ford Expedition. This vehicle is extremely noisy and I am unable to get any contact from Ford Motor Company. I have a case number and a contact, Mark **, who does not call me back. I have left at least six messages on his voice mail. This is my 3rd Expedition, Ford replaced the V-8 Engine that was in my earlier models with a V-6, added a very noisy fan to cool the AC system without notification to the buyer. My dealer has contacted Engineering and they say they do not have a problem and that the noise is Normal?? They do have a problem and need to provide a solution or terminate their engineers. The mechanics and Service manager and dealer at my dealership agree that the car is very noisy and believe Ford also went cheap on the AC system and that is why engineering put huge fan (noisy) in vehicle, to Cover their back end! I would not recommend the 2016 Expedition or the F-150 with the V-6 to anyone. Vehicle is not to Ford standards and neither is their Customer Care division.

Had not bought a vehicle in some years. Always go through Carfax but this time I couldnt. I was told I had a great deal to have the 2016 Ford Edge out the door for 25,000. Got home, checked Carfax and found they were advertising it for 22,901. They lied for a few hundred dollars. They will never get my business because they are deceptive. This was the second car from Gwinnett Place Ford. The first was a new 2001 Ford Ranger and we had to be real sharp and after maybe 5 to 6 hours, they finally honored the buy. This time they got away with the usual tactics. I will never ever buy another product from them, ever again. I am a Navy Veteran and I am disabled. A few hundred dollars is like thousands to me and my retired wife. Will also tell anyone else who wants to know about my experience with them. Thank you.

My car is currently disabled from driving due to a severe transmission clut
My car is currently disabled from driving due to a severe transmission clutch shudder. I have been told many different things in regards to my vehicle by your customer service team. I also found that they had very limited empathy to the fact that my car was so significantly impacted by a clear manufactory issue that I almost got into a significant accident and was fearful for my life while driving it recently. My car first experienced the shudder after a year of driving it. It was attempted to be fixed in February 2017 for the exact issue. The problem subsided for awhile, and then gradually came back. The first dealership that tried to fix the issue was All American Ford in Old Bridge, NJ. The people here were competent and were helpful, because they were reimbursed by Ford for their service. The shudder returned of course. I went to a Ford dealership in Lakewood, NJ. Called Larsen Ford to see if they could look at the continuing issue. The service advisor Dave ** who I met with didn’t greet me. Another employee said hello and acknowledged me. Told me to sit in front of Dave. I sat in front of Dave, who didn’t even look at me while he was on his computer. After, I guess looking into my VIN number finally addressed I was sitting there in front of him. Discussed with me that I had no available warranty on my car in regards to the transmission clutch shudder issue, and then stated that it might not be transmission clutch shudder issue without even looking at my car. I felt he didn’t even discuss or look at my car because he knew it wasn’t going to be reimbursed by Ford. He also made me feel like I lacked intelligence, probably because I am a woman and acted like I knew nothing in regards to the car’s issue when in fact it’s hard not to know since Ford is currently being sued for the issue. I quickly left there. In between finding another dealership to help fix the problem, my car was completely affected by the transmission clutch shudder issue. It was terrifying driving it while this Accord, and a giant truck almost plowed into me, because the car jerked forward and back with acceleration and also when braking. It was brought to All American Ford in Point Pleasant, NJ where it is currently sitting because Ford does not want to take responsibility for their poor design manufacturing issue by placing a clutch system that burns off. My car is not currently being worked on, because Ford states that only certain cars can receive the extended warranty under the Customer Satisfaction Program 14M01 - Supplement #6.The customer “satisfaction” program has not satisfied this customer. In trying to reach out to your customer care representatives was even worse than dealing with the dealerships. I spoke to multiple representatives who had a difficult time understanding my English pronunciation and each told me different things: 3/15/19 - Jane told me that when requesting to speak with a supervisor it was pointless, because they will tell me the same thing. She was also unable to tell me exactly why my car was not covered under the warranty hence why I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She did note to request a supervisor to contact me in a business day.3/18/19 - I did not receive a phone call from a supervisor, so I called back again. I spoke with a John who told me that a supervisor placed a call however he couldn’t tell me when or what number so that I could make sure to answer. No supervisor of course was available. I asked to make a FM360 claim, he said only a supervisor could do that. Requested a supervisor to call me back. In addition, told me that dealerships can talk to Ford corporation in regards to reimbursement of warranty funds. 3/19/19 - A supervisor called me at 7:00 pm, however I was eating dinner with family after a long day at work.3/20/19 - Spoke to Gail a supervisor who informed me that the warranty is not covered for me because my car was made in October 2013 not in June 2013 (only a couple months later). I expressed my concerns since its the same exact transmission clutch shudder issue attempted to be fixed the first time, and why are only certain lucky Ford owners experiencing the same issue the only ones privileged to be reimbursed. In addition, she informed me that previous representatives could have filed a FM360 claim even though they told me a supervisor could. I also asked why the TMZ module is covered, however the clutches aren’t. She could not answer that question. She kept on repeating herself, talking over me in a scripted manner, and did not address my specific questions. I requested to speak to another supervisor other than Gail, and she denied my request. I kept on clarifying her statements and requesting for her to note to speak to another supervisor in case they had other information. In short, she denied my request and hung up on me.Ford has not rectified their design manufacturing mistake and would like to make their customers pay out of pocket for their error. I have a car that is not even 5 years old in which I have to pay $2000 for. I have paid for new tires, oil changes, and checks. I have made sure my car is updated on my end. My car is not driveable and I have to spend every day speaking to your employees who don’t want to help. In addition, due to research and speaking with Ford dealerships the problem will still continue even if the clutches are replaced.Ford has a responsibility to their customers and to keep them safe. They have designed and made unsafe vehicles and are unwilling to help out ALL of their customers. I hoping that someone will be in contact with me in regards to my issue. I am requesting that my current Ford dealership be reimbursed for the clutches. I am told that even if they replace the TMZ module, the car will not drive without the clutches being replaced. Someone needs to rectify the issue.

I own a Transit full-size van T350 built 5/2015 used for business. After 38000 miles the left rear axle seal failed and was replaced 11/30/16. One day later the hole axle seized after just 50 miles. After the warranty repair. It took to January 10/2017 to rebuild the rear axle (no parts available!!!) and to get the van back from the Dealer (Ford of Clermont, FL). Since then the van is creating a loud howling noise between 50 and 60 mph and a loud deep vibration noise over 70 mph. Four more attempts to repair/adjust. Did not fix the issue. Since 12/1/2016 the van spent over 100 days in the workshop trying to fix the rear axle under warranty without success. Since 4 weeks my dealer tries to get in touch with a Ford engineer to assess the issue. Without success. In the meantime the right axle seal failed and spilled all the oil on the road. In addition to the incompetence of the dealership Ford Customer Service is at no service for a customer who has a more complex issue than an oil change. I called Ford customer service several times but all they do is to get you in touch with the dealers management. Ford Customer Service is only set up to make you feel good and to mediate between dealer and customer. I feel that my only option now is to sue the dealer and Ford to get this faulty rear axle replaced.

I took my truck to Sheehy Ford for a engine issue. Basically the truck would shut off while driving down the road. The dealer said we should replace the head studs, head gaskets, injector seals, fuel seals, oil passage seals. I was okay with all of that costing estimated $7000 and about 26 labor hours. That was 4+ months ago. They have had my truck for 4+ months. They replaced my radiator, why??? I dont know and the service manager doesnt know either. But Im sure Im getting billed for that somehow. Face to face I asked the service manager why they replaced my radiator. He said I dont know. I went to the shop to get some camping stuff out of my truck and was there for about 25-30 minutes. There were 6 vehicles in the shop and not one technician in there working. At one point a tech walked in the back door and grabbed an oil pan and brought it over to a van but dropped it and walked up to the front. I dont trust what they are doing mechanically to my truck. They in theory replaced my high pressure oil pump, but once it was all back together they had zero oil pressure. Did they replace it??? Well even the old oil pump was giving some oil pressure. I cant get a response from the service manager anymore and I had to call Ford motor company. So far Tina has done a good job corresponding between me and the dealer but Im not getting anywhere. Again 4+ months and over $4000 in rental car bills. I have yet to get my truck back and am still making payments and insurance on a truck I can not use. I wouldnt trust them to change my head light.

We bought a 2011 F150 brand new. We like the truck except for the shake we have in it. Every time we use it now, it shakes & we are scared that something will happen to it after the warranty is up. The first time we towed our 5th wheel travel trailer with it, it shook. When we got back home, we went to our dealership & they were more than willing to try to help us. They got in contact with Ford Motor Company & did everything that they were told to do. WE are more than happy with our dealership but we are totally disappointed in Ford Motor Company, as they will not do anything else to fix the problem. We have been calling them for 28 months now & all they have offered us was $1,000.00 towards another new truck. We have spent more than that just traveling back & forth to the dealership trying to get help from them.We have had 23 Ford automobiles in the last 40 years. We have been loyal to the Ford company all of these years but I guess our Loyalty doesnt mean much to Ford Motors. Three of our trucks was well over 65,000.00. I guess this goes to show it doesnt matter how much money you give them, you are not worth the effort to help us or gives a real good deal on another truck. Oh well, maybe some other company will be better to us, as we will not be buying a new FORD TRUCK in the near future.

After much persistence, on my part, the problem was finally fixed. The Senior Technician researched more and found 4 more tests to pinpoint why this may be happening. The first three were negative in result. The fourth test found the problem. The float at the bottom of the gas passageway (?) before the main part of the gas tank is reached, was STUCK OPEN. So, of course, it did not signal that it was full! When I was told this and informed that a new gas tank was to be installed, I just could not believe that this had not been a checking option before!! I had a very hard time containing myself. The fact that I refused to be blown off by their comments on several discussions was the only thing that got it fixed. My respect for this particular Ford Dealership took an amazing downslide!!

Just had my Ford F150 go up in flames while parked in the driveway. Truck was last used Saturday Morning 2/7/2015 and went up in flames 2/9/2015 at approx 4 am. Woke up to a horn going off, went into my daughters room and looked out front of our house and saw flames 15 ft high. Told my wife to get the kids downstairs and evacuated them to the backyard. Called 911 and ran out front to move my other car out of the driveway. Thank god my neighbors came out and helped me put the fire out or things would of been much worse. Fire started in the Engine compartment and burned most of the hood off before we could put the fire out. We are an HVAC company that has bought many Fords currently and in the past. Lately, these Ford vehicles have not held up very well. We recently had a 2014 van with 43k need a new transmission. The Ford warranty expired 1 month ago. Ford has declined to stand behind their products and will not pay any of the repair. I have contacted Ford Customer Care and they just tell me its out of warranty. They made a case #, denied the case, and didnt even tell me. Their customer service is extremely poor. When I call, I fight through several automated prompts, usually get transferred a couple of times and battle a communication barrier with the reps. This will be the last Ford we purchase!

Purchased the new 2014 Ford Fiesta in August 2014. By the time I went in for my first oil change I was having problems with the car shaking, jerking, slipping, shuddering upon light acceleration on gas from a complete stop. I expressed my complaint/problem with the service technician and he said its normal, people complain about the same issue all the time and theres nothing they can do. As of todays date the problem still exist, I been back to the dealership with the same complaint and nothing has ever been resolved. And it seems like its getting worse.

Like any Ford product the company issues TSB`s, but not recalls. The Edge has issues with warning lights especially the YOU ARE NOT IN PARK warning. They will not recognize this and will have to be repaired at the owners expense.

As a leasee with Ford leasing, two vehicles, I am disappointed that Ford does not support account holders when trying to log on to their account... when submitting inquiries about early termination of a lease... converting a lease to purchase before an existing lease is up. Like other large corporations, Fords business model appears to basically be: For every customer lost, we get five new ones. Which follows the third world agricultural model of slash and burn... without sustainable crops planted. What we consumers need to do is collectively demand our sovereignty as consumers as written in Americas Free Market Bible written by Adam Smith... we.. the consumer decides fair treatment, not an overpaid executive core in the corporate board room.

I have a 1999 Ford F-250 SD V10 Automatic 4x4. Last night after parking the truck in my driveway it burst into flames and burned the entire truck. Luckily my 14 year old son was able to get away when things went from bad to worse. Now I read this is a known problem Ford knows about. After owning Ford cars and trucks all my life I have had enough. I lost all the tools I had in the truck and much more. Thank God I only got minor burns. And my son was not hurt.

I bought a new 2016 Ford Edge in April 2016. Something that should have been an exciting and happy experience has turned into nothing more than a nightmare. The very first day I got the car home, I was moving my stuff into the back and heard a popping noise. Upon further inspection I noticed that the back hatch wasnt properly aligned. I took the car back to AutoNation Ford (Mileage
