This is dangerous; they should not be breaking. The left front tire blew out when I was backing out of the garage. When I removed the tire, I noticed that the coil spring had broken, leaving a jagged edge. The edge ripped out the sidewall of the tire (a fairly new studded snow tire that will be expensive to replace).

This car has faulty door latches that can stop working at any time. I now have my two rear doors held closed with rope, handle to handle. The front driver’s side door is stopped from opening with the seat belt attached to it. The driver must hold on to the door around turns to stop it from opening. Good thing my 2001 Jeep doesn’t have these problems.

I purchased a 2011 Ford Edge Certified pre-owned with 26000 miles. This vehicle has been in for major repairs within the last two years. Vehicle has AWD. The power transfer unit failed at approximately 60000 miles. The backup camera does not work at all. Just a blank black screen. Several valves went bad. The car was at a Ford dealer for 12 days. The backup camera no longer works. Its just a black screen. The only thing to be done with is replace it at the tune of $866.00. I did not have the camera replaced due to the substantial cost. The latest problem is the catalytic converters. They went bad at 75000 miles. The service engine soon comes on and flashes and then goes off. Called dealer and took it in. This was in January 2017.I was told both catalytic converters have to be replaced. The dealership told me they would have both converters by mid-February 2017. I called them at the end of the February and now they do not know when they will be getting the catalytic converters in. Really??? Note that I am still driving the vehicle and have not been offered a rental car as of yet. I was told not to take the vehicle on long trips because of the converters being bad. How long am I going to have to wait to have this fixed??? This will be the last thing that gets fixed on this car because if one more thing happens to it I will be getting rid of it. I am very disappointed in Ford and I have had several. Time to look at the foreign SUVs.

Purchased a new Ford F-150 on 6/27/2015 from HemBorg Ford in Norco, Ca. External fan came on a few times as soon as the truck was started while we moved the truck in and out of our shop and would not shut off unless we turn engine off and restarted truck. On September 1 after picking the truck up from getting the decals the battery light came on. The following day I made a phone call up to our local mechanic to see if he could check out why the battery light was on since they are a half mile from where I lived. Pulled the truck out of the shop and let it run for about 30 minutes while I cleaned it to see if maybe the light was on because the truck had been sitting in the shop. I then got in the truck and drove off. It is about 12 miles from our shop to the local mechanic shop but after getting on the freeway the Sync system notified me. I was going to lose power to some electric powered features or something of that sort. It didnt repeat it. It only said it once so I cant remember exactly. I turned off the radio and air thinking maybe its a low battery issue. A few minutes later all the indicator lights came on and the truck lost power. I looked in my mirror to get over and to my horror I saw smoke pouring out from under the truck out the back. As soon as I pulled over the smoke was coming out from under the hood as well as flames were starting to come out too. I popped the hood and jumped out looking for my fire extinguisher and in panic could locate it. I ran to the front of the truck and tried to unlatch the hood, but the smoke and flames were pouring out. A guy ran up and started with his fire extinguisher, but we couldnt get the flames down enough to get the hood opened. By the time the fire department got there, the front tires caught fire and blew into the field which started a 5-acre fire which did slightly damage some decks on a few homes. The fire dept didnt put any water on the truck because they were trying to save these peoples homes and I watched in horror. The truck and all our equipment burn to the ground. Some people say why didnt we bring it in when the external fan came on but honestly most people would have even noticed it. I know because we own 9 Fords between our business and personal but since the truck was only at our shop and not in service yet it would be brought in before it was ready to go into service the Ford dealer.I would have brought it to was father then my local mechanic so it wouldnt have made it either way. I am beside myself with this. Did the fan keep coming on because the computer was telling the truck something was hot? Why did the battery light come on (I did take a picture of the dash when I was pulling into the shop after we picked it up from getting decals and it shows the light on. Please help.

Safety Concerns with Ford Motor Company - 2/16/2013: As we merged on to Lakeville Highway, Petaluma, CA we began to accelerate and the vehicle revved but would not shift out of first gear. We contacted Ford Motor Company and the vehicle was towed to Henry Curtis Ford of Petaluma. My mother-in-law drove from Brentwood to Petaluma to pick up my husband, myself, and our dog. Sales manager William said he would reimburse her cost for gas and work on a rental if they determined Ford was liable for the vehicles issue.2/18/2013: Henry Curtis Ford contacted us stating the vehicle had a lot of codes they would need to weed through to determine what the issue was with the car (which is different than what the original receipt stated). Henry Curtis Ford said we could now have a rental vehicle and sent us to Enterprise. Enterprise rented us a Chevy Impala. 2/20/2013: Enterprise asked us to return the Impala and exchanged it for a Dodge Avenger. 2/21/2013: Henry Curtis Ford claimed the vehicle was fixed and could be picked up. Future Ford and Lincoln of Concord arranged to have the vehicle driven by Ford from Petaluma to Concord.2/22/2013: Per Future Ford of Concord, the vehicle would arrive at my work when I was off at 1:30pm so I should return the rental, which I did on my lunch break. Future Ford of Concord called to let me know the vehicle had an issue on the drive to Concord from Petaluma; it would not shift gears or accelerate. Future Ford of Concord picked me up and took me to Hertz to get a rental, a Mazda 3. I went to Future Ford to get my receipt from Henry Curtis Ford. The receipt basically said nothing was wrong with my car, no errors came up on tests, and it was returned. This is different than what my husband and I were told from the Service Advisor. I called Henry Curtis Ford and left a message for Joseph **. I spoke with the Service Advisor Andy ** at Concord Ford and asked his notes be thorough and include all communications with their technicians, any tests or maintenance performed, and documentation of our communications. I discussed my concerns with the Sales Manager William who appeared concerned about the situation. William assured me he would be able to reimburse Angela for the gas, but since she was not local, he would have to look into how.2/23/2013: Concord Ford detailed the Mazda 3 rental since it had a funny smell and Hertz is not open on Saturdays. 2/25/2013: I spoke with Andy ** at Future Ford to try and understand the issue and procedure to correct it. I called Ford Manufacturer and opened a claim. The claim was escalated and assigned to Leslie ** (866-631-3788, extension **, email: **). I spoke with Joe **, Service Advisor at Henry Curtis Ford, and advised him of how the receipt was written. He said he would fix it and send it back to us. 2/26/2013: I left a message for Leslie since I had not heard back. 2/27/2013: Leslie called me back on 2/27/2013 and stated a Ford script that they stand behind their warranty and asked if she could offer me a Service package to help with my trouble. I told her I was scared and I have never been in this sort of situation. I asked how long this may go on and she said she had no idea. 3/1/2013: I spoke with Andy ** at Future Ford. 3/4/2013: I went to Future Ford to check in on gas refund from 2/16/2013. William had not yet found a way to refund the gas, such as providing a gift card. William said he would have a check sent to Angela. 3/5/2013: I called Joseph ** at Henry Curtis Ford and asked if the receipt was updated or mailed. He said it had been updated and mailed but he would mail again since we did not receive. 3/6/2013: The Mazda 3 rental began to smell again, so I exchanged the vehicle for another option at Hertz, a Chevy Cruz. I contacted Ford and spoke with Leslie. I told her I was so upset and I wanted to drive my car and I was unhappy with the rentals. I pleaded to have my car fixed, replaced, or a buyback. She said she couldn’t fix it any sooner, so I said to go forward with the buyback. This conversation was really hard. I was literally to my breaking point, in tears, and she made me feel like I was asking a favor they couldnt fulfill. Leslie spoke down to me and said she couldnt control what they had at the rental agency and she could only file requests for buybacks, which could take up to 10 business days. Ford has the buyback starting on 3/7/13 and Leslie insisted multiple times in future conversations I requested it on the 7th. I didnt see a point in arguing, but I took notes and documented the 6th personally.3/8/2013: I spoke with Andy ** regarding parts and status. 3/14/2013: After another request had been made with Joseph ** for the receipt to be sent and it was not received (exact date of second request was not documented), I drove to Petaluma to get the receipt. The receipt was still not updated to the same information they had said over the phone; the only note that was added said the issue may be related to PCM. This was never mentioned to us during the time the car was in Petaluma; it was only something thought to be the issue after Ford in Concord had got the issue to occur in a picture they took and sent to a Ford technician, via their hotline. Rick **, Service Manager at Future Ford, calls to tell me they are still waiting on a part called the PCM, but it is on back order and they will not receive it in their factory until the 20th and have an emergency order to have it in expedited. I was in the Petaluma dealership and missed the call. I called Rick back upon leaving and left a message asking him to call me back. I called Leslie ** (assigned to my claim with Ford) and left a message. Upon getting home, Joseph **s receipt was received in the mail.3/18/2013: 30 days no vehicle, 8 business days into buyback request, and no follow up. I called Leslie ** and left a call back message. 3/19/2013: I went to Concord Ford, left a note for Rick ** to call me back, and spoke with William about the check for Angelas gas. He had her information and said he was still working on getting it made. I spoke with Andy **. 3/20/2013: I stayed home from work to focus on getting this resolved, 32 days in. I called Leslie and left another message. I went to Ford Manufacturer’s Customer Service to request my issue be addressed, escalated, or resolved. I spoke with a gentleman named Bruce who assured me I could get a call back from Leslie or her superior within 1 business day. Bruce was a very kind representative who conveyed a sincere tone and empathy. Leslie returned my call later in the afternoon. The conversation was really intense and it was clear she was irritated with me and felt she did not need to check in with me until she had more information. I dont even know how to write how this call made me feel. It was emotional and it impacted my judgment of Ford more than any of the issues I had with my car. I have never been made to feel as insignificant by a company as I was that day. There was no regard for my situation or remorse for them being the reason it was caused. Leslie was cold and uncooperative. End of the business day, Rick ** from Future Ford of Concord called to say they fixed the problem. I shared with him we are afraid of the vehicle and for our safety. I requested they leave the vehicle there since we will not risk driving it, or to tow it to our home. They said they would keep it there until they heard back from Leslie **.3/21/2013: I called Leslie and pleaded for an answer and she advised they had not returned a response and that the buyback request is dealt with behind the scenes and she will let me know when a decision is made. I asked why it was taking longer than the ten business days she stated and she said it can take longer in different situations. She said if I went through BBB, it would likely take 30 business days. She said she may hear back on Monday and she would call me then as she was out of the office on Friday and the weekend.3/25/2013: I called Leslie and left a message in the morning, a second in the afternoon, and called one last time in the evening, and she answered. She advised she did not have any additional information and would call me when she did. 3/27/2013: I called Leslie in the early afternoon. I received a callback in the early evening. Leslie said the buyback was declined and could not elaborate as to why. The response I was given after 15 business days was It did not meet your state’s Lemon Law requirements. Leslie ** offered to pay 1 months car payment for my inconvenience. She stated the check will be processed through the dealerships accounting department, which usually takes 10 business days.3/28/2013: Future Ford of Concord asked me to pick up my vehicle and they could not tow it as there would be an expense to Ford. 3/29/2013: I picked up our Fusion from Future Ford in Concord. My husband drove the car home. Prior to the issue, the vehicle seamlessly shifted through all the gears. Now you can feel a distinctive shift in gears from first gear through third. The vehicle now also has a rough idle as if it were under a slight load, similar to the air conditioner is running.3/30/2013: I went to Future Ford to ask Andy to update the receipt. The write up did not specify the issue is intermittent. Andy stated the car shifts hard since it is an adaptive transmission, which learns how you drive. This left me concerned on how they drove my vehicle when they put the 100 miles to test the replacement PCM. Angela received the check in the mail for the amount of $67.50. 3/31/2013 - 4/1/2013: The Fusion is in our driveway as we are afraid to drive it. I received a ticket in the mail addressed to my husband and me, stating we went through a tollbooth for the bay bridge on 3/20/2013 at 12:09pm without paying. The ticket said we owed a total of $29.00.4/2/2013: I went to Future Ford and asked to speak with the General Manager of all operations for the location. William said he was the General Manager of sales and could assist. I politely declined but gave him the copy of the ticket and waited 14 minutes for him to return. He tried to review the issue with me but I politely declined. He asked me to wait another moment. I waited for 2 minutes until he returned and brought me to the Service area to speak with a Service Manager. I politely declined and asked to speak with the General Manager of all operations for the location. Rick ** assisted me 2 minutes later. I advised Rick ** (General Manager of Future Auto Center of Concord) of my issues, concerns, and request for the buyback. We discussed the situation. He seemed to have a realistic understanding of my situation and advised he would attempt to bring the issue to the manufacturer’s attention again and contact me on 4/3/2013 to touch base or provide feedback. Rick also confirmed a check would be in the mail the following day for the Fast Trac ticket. I emailed Rick ** my letter for my buyback request, and the timeline (up-to-date timeline).4/3/2013: I received an email from Rick **: “Thanks for the information and sharing your concerns. I have spoken to our Ford Zone Manager for Fixed Operations and provided him your information. I have asked him to review the information and see if there is anything else that can be done. He has told me that he will be contacting you in the next 24 hours and will have the file reviewed, which may take a few days. If you could please shoot me an email when you hear from him, I would appreciate it.”4/3/2013: I received a call from Brian with Ford Motor Company who advised me of his meeting and conversation from Rick **. He stated he intended to escalate my situation and concerns with Ford Motor Company and request my file be reviewed again. He stated he would follow up no later than 3 business days. I replied to Rick **’s email: “Rick, Thank you for your follow-up email. I appreciate your involvement and pursuit of my concerns. Brian called after leaving the Concord Future Ford office and advised he would escalate my situation with Ford Motor Company. I should hear from Brian within the next 3 business days.” 4/4/2013: The Fusion is in our driveway as we are afraid to drive it.My husband and I were both excited and anxious to purchase a new car. The monetary commitment involved in this investment was daunting to us, so when making this decision, we naturally looked toward Ford, a company we have always trusted. Regrettably, the ensuing debacle we have become embroiled in to obtain a Lemon Law buyback has made us second guess the decision entirely. We feel it is apparent that there is a failure on the part of Ford to address this issue in a timely manner. According to the Lemon Law of California, part of the criteria to have the company buy back a vehicle is that the owner is unable to use the vehicle for 30 days due to an automotive problem that puts the owner’s safety at risk. This is exactly what has transpired, and yet we were denied by Ford Motor Company for the buyback request. As a result, we are now taking any and every action reasonable to obtain a buyback. Further, we have engaged in a grassroots campaign on Facebook, created fliers, and pursued other creative methods to inform the public of the poor treatment and problems we have endured by purchasing this particular Ford product. In order to rectify this negligence, please assist as follows (listed in order of preference): (1) get the buyback request approved; (2) exchange our current vehicle at no additional cost (unless the new vehicle is of a greater cost than the original overall cost including all taxes, fees, incentives, and cash down). We agree to honor the difference in mileage at a prorated price to ensure this costly imposition is resolved in the quickest, safest, and most satisfactory way. Thank you in advance for your help.

2016 Ford Edge Titanium - this is my everyday commuter vehicle and I have to say that the overall driving experience, quality and features available at this price point is very disappointing. At ~ 40,000km I had the brake pads replaced and rotors machined which was surprising because I’m very easy on the brakes. At 45,000km my sunroof malfunctioned/wouldn’t close so it had to be replaced. The dealer broke my sunshade while replacing my sunroof so it had to be replaced. The icing on the cake was that the back window shattered for no reason (I literally mean no reason!) at 88,000km. I’ve owned several good/reliable Ford vehicles (08 Ford Escape Limited, 2013 Taurus SHO, and 2007 Ford F-150 FX4) and I can’t believe how much the quality has declined. This has been a very disappointing and regrettable purchase for me. There are lots of vehicles in this segment where you get more bang for your buck. Stay away from the Edge!

This is the second Ford Edge that we have owned and we really like the vehicle. It gets fairly good gas mileage for its size and is very comfortable and nice looking. We had both vehicles well past the warranty and found it to be very stable. No major repairs and only typical maintenance. We love the GPS and the two moon roofs. The area in the back will hold large items and is easy to push a button and lower the back seats to make even more room. The body style is very sharp and I love the heated seats. But the first Edge had a problem with the rear view window and I felt like I couldnt see as well as I should be able to. But the next one we bought had a little condensed mirror attached to the rear view mirror that enables me to see a wider area. We are very pleased.

Paint is bubbling along edge of hood on passenger side. I understand, from other stories on Internet, prior TSBs and lawsuits, that this is due to contamination during painting (the hood is aluminum so would not rust). Ford and Ford dealer have no apparent interest in making this right.

We purchased a Ford Edge for the specific reason of towing it behind our RV. The dealership assured us the transmission was built to enable us to tow it four wheels down. This part is true, but what they neglected to tell us is that the car does not charge the battery unless it is idling or being driven, leaving us with a completely dead battery after even an hour! After talking with the customer service at the Ford Corp... thats it. Pretty much too bad. The manual tells you to start the car after 4-5 hours of towing, which is difficult since it is dead after one hour. Ford could not even give any assistance in what could be done as far as spark plugs, trickle charger, etc. Too bad... a $27,000 mistake. I wish I had my CRV back; no problems whatsoever!

First off if I could take away the star I was required to give I would. I own a 2001 Ford Excursion, have wanted one for some time, after purchasing the truck I was completely satisfied with it. But a very short time later I experienced my first spark plug that blew out. Luckily (why I dont know) it didnt take the threads the first time out. Well tonight I have now experienced my total of my third plug blowing out. Money for me does not come easy, and I can assure you the money I spend on a truck will not line the pockets of Ford Motor Company in the future. I know my claim alone is not enough to make a difference, after all its FORD MOTOR COMPANY, one of the if not the largest motor vehicle company in the world. They have all kinds of money. Well they have received the very last dollar from my pocket on anything of their products.Sure they have some nice looking cars/trucks. But that alone is not enough. I have other cars here with half a million miles on them, yes literally half a million miles and not once, not one time ever have they ever blown a plug out of the motor. And for a company the size of Ford to sit and do nothing, well thats just unacceptable to me. I am 100% interested in anyones class action lawsuit that they may put together, and I’ll make sure I spread the word in any forum, car boats or the like about the ongoing problem with FORD MOTOR COMPANY. We live in the age of internet, to have a problem like this and do nothing, well its a time bomb. Sure the company will carry on and probably never hear or see my issues but I can assure you that there are thousands of people that will. Thank you and I apologize to any other ford owners experiencing the same as I have. It just plain sucks. I can be reached **. Thank you for your time.

This is a letter from one of your first-time customers. In the grand scale
This is a letter from one of your first-time customers. In the grand scale I mean very little to your company as far as your bottom line. I am one of the millions that pay you every month and understand that with a corporate company like yourselves I don’t really have any pull in the service relationship we have. However, I believe it is therapeutic to encapsulate this experience I have had with you, and also to caution others who may want to purchase a FORD vehicle in the future. I don’t believe in getting something for nothing. I do believe in fair and honest treatment and that’s where you have failed Ford.I leased my FORD Eco Sport 2018 in January 2018. Unfortunately, I was in an accident in late February 2018. Nothing huge just a fender bender but as I write this, it is September 13th, 2018 and I still don’t have my car back from the shop. You see you sold a vehicle that had no parts ready for it because they are made in India. (I’m not really sure if the location is to blame but that’s just what I have been told.) You take no responsibility for that, and believe that while it is unfortunate it is also not something you have any plan of action for or will do anything about. I have called, emailed, Facebooked, tweeted, and hoped for someone to help me and yet still there is nothing you “can” or will do. I have now not had a car for months while still paying my lease agreement. You wouldn’t even lend me a rental, so I had to pay for my own. $778.00 and one month later and I have just decided to be carless. I am 30 years old and I have a family. I have a 90-year-old grandfather I take to the doctors and shop for so Ive had to rely on friends and neighbours to go everywhere. I must Uber to and from work every day because I must make sure I can pay my ford credit bill this month for a car I haven’t seen in a half a year. I have spoken to two dealerships and they tell me stories about all their customers who are waiting on parts for the Eco Sport with no answers or timelines. How discouraging is this? My first new car and all I feel after this whole experience is abandoned and forgotten buy a company who made about 7.6 billion dollars last year off the very people they won’t help.I have called your customer service line; whose sole purpose is to never actually help anyone but rather read the same four lines of script sent down from some corporate manual to ensure that: A. Ford never has to help anyone. B. To make sure that the customer is so defeated and frustrated by the end of the call you won’t want to call back. On that front Ford I say that you have succeeded. As I have been doing some digging to see who else I could call I have seen thousands of terrible reviews about everything this letter is about and clearly no one cares. There should be a support group for every customer you have let down because honestly its outright abusive at this point. My family has always owned FORDS. Generation after generation it is the only car we buy, and after this whole experience I don’t see myself being a FORD customer in the future. Even though I feel very defeated by this whole situation I am still hoping that someone will read this and have a little heart to understand that I am only looking for what is fair, for a paying customer and what is right for a customer who has valued FORD their entire life.

I have owned a Ford since I got my license at 16 years old. I have had nothing but issues with them, and I always think - Ill just try again. I will not be trying again. The last SUV I had was a Ford Edge. 58,000 miles the computer crashed it. Barely made warranty. 75k I had 2 different parts of the transmission go back to back, within months of each other. Shift solenoid one time, I believe the computer to the transmission the other. $4,000 later! Now, I have a 2015 Ford Fusion, bought brand new. I work from home and really do not drive a ton, but average, slightly under. Has 50,000 miles on it. Its already had the same shift solenoid transmission issue, and now it is back in the shop again - computer crashed. All done! The service guys are great, but the fact that this keeps happening on moderately new vehicles is absolutely unacceptable!

My 2015 Ford Mustang is still under factory warranty. The paint on the hood start bubbling. The car will be on the body shop for 3 days so I called Ford because in my opinion they have to give a rental car and pay for that. Mr. Mario ** (Regional Customer Service Manager) called me today to let me know that they wont pay for the rental. My car is under warranty, is not my fault the paint failed!!! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT!!! I will have to be without a vehicle for 3 days. That situation will affect my job and personal responsibilities. I currently own 2 Ford vehicles, but I feel that means nothing to them. I let him know how I feel it but he didnt care about that. Maybe is time to change the brand. Bye Ford.

I was asleep and my husband took our son to school which is a mile away. He gets home and starts to get ready for work and someone came to our door to tell us his truck was on fire. He went outside, turned on hose and called 911. We had to evacuate our kids and animals to the backyard. My brother’s motorcycle which was parked next to the truck also caught fire. Melted our garage door and luckily firemen got here before it hit our house. This is insane and Ford should take responsibility for this as it could have killed someone or caught our home on fire.

I have really enjoyed owning my Fiesta! Its such a fun car to drive, the acceleration is perfect, it zips through traffic and I love my sync system. And I really love the mileage I get out of the car. I can get almost 2 weeks of driving out of a single tank of gas! Moreover, I love the look of it. Its very modern and cute. Some people might view its small size as a negative but I genuinely have never felt cramped from the inside.

I own a 2012 Ford Edge with 40,000 miles on it. The leather seats are falling apart because of inferior quality leather. Ford will not take responsibility for their use of shoddy materials. Beware of Ford vehicles with leather because the leather is extremely low quality. My car with cloth seats is twice as old and shows no wear. My Ford Edge is a disgrace. And because of Ford Motor Companys lack of concern. No more Fords for me.

Vehicle decelerates while in motion. This was my experience driving on the Interstate highway and the car dropped speed from 55-60 mph to 0 mph. With fast reaction, I pulled over to the shoulder. The car kept idling but there was no acceleration at all. After mechanical diagnosis, the throttle body is defective. Its all good electronics/mechanical parts are not failure proof. After calling several local dealers with the same response - PART ON BACK ORDER - I called Out of State dealers getting the same response. There is no recall on this matter and I wonder what is Ford waiting for - Casualties on our roadways? It sounds like Ford Has a National back order on this part. Why not recall it and make repairs on their dime, not the consumers? Thank you.

Every aspect of my 1st six months with Ford has been terrible.... The dealership was nothing but a typical bait and switch used car dealership even though I buy a new $54k truck.... I did all the negotiations via the phone only for the dealership (halfway through paper signing) state they quoted me the wrong truck. I could go on with another 1000 words. Lets move to Ford credit. 4 phone calls to set up auto pay and to find out that you can not AUTOMATICALLY pay each month over the monthly amount. You can manually make additional payments but can’t be set up automatically.Lets chat about service: My Touch went out in less than 4 months.... brought it in... Service says needs to order parts. 3 weeks later no follow-up except the email from the service department ask about the lengthy list of service they performed. Guess what? They didn’t do any of these services. And never followed up on the 1 thing I did ask them to do. I wonder if they billed Ford Motor Company for these bogus services. UGH come on Ford. Its 2019. Get rid of the bs sales tactics, update your finance software, and get a real service dept.

I was called and then sent a letter to pay a settlement amount of $1,403.76 on the phone and in the letter, I explained to the lady (877-231-8641 ext. **) I would have the money in a couple of weeks because my husband had just passed away. She stated this could not wait so I put off paying other bills to send the money on Sept. 19th. Well, on Sunday, Sept. 30th, they came and repossessed the vehicle, in which Ford is not open on Sundays. So, I called the lady back on Monday, Oct. 1st and asked why the vehicle was repossessed. She stated the payment had not posted. I explained that I had sent it in. She was the rudest and most hateful person I have ever spoken to at Ford. I asked her if I could talk to a supervisor and she said no. I told her I had sent the money and wanted my vehicle returned to me and she said too bad the only way was to pay Ford an additional $350.94 plus the repo fee. She would not even tell me exactly where the vehicle was. She stated it was none of my business and I did not have the right to know where my vehicle was taken. I do know the vehicle was taken to North Carolina and I live in South Carolina which is about 100 miles from me. The letter also states failure to remit the settlement amount or contact Ford may result in further collection activity, nothing about repossession which I think according to South Carolina Law, the consumer must be notified of repossession and the consumer has 20 days to pay the debt. I was not even given that courtesy. My husband worked for Ford for over 10 years and we have purchased over 15 vehicles over the years. As far as I am concerned, I will never buy another Ford as long as I live!

The airbag exploded with such great force causing chest bruising, and lacerations, and little burns all over my arms and face. This happened years ago and I was just sent a message that I have had over 60,000 hits with people experiencing the same problem. NEVER BUY FORD!!! I have pictures. WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE A FORD!!! They do not back their product even when they have a known issue. Most $$$ car I have ever bought, 30K, only 2013, 50,000 miles now and sunroof wont even close. Car in service center before for running slow and same issue. Now needs a complete frame replacement?!?!?? Of course not in warranty or even the extended warranty I PURCHASED. Want me to pay $2600 to replace frame. I have not bent the frame or had a wreck! Garage kept car. Its obviously defective Ford part. I guess I will use an umbrella to keep the weather from my 3-week old. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD OR AMERICAN MADE POS! Had 1 Toyota, 2 Nissans and 2 Hyundais and had NO problems. Paid much less, much older and got 200,000 plus miles on them. Only get the run around when you call customer care. Service manager gives you the number but customer care says manager has final say. Manager goes out of town before discussing decision with you. When you make original call, everything is always we cant look at it for at least one week, til you ask to talk to manager then it changes like magic. Sure I will drive around with sunroof open for a week until you can even look at it.

This is about Lugoff Ford and what has happened with Ford Corporate. Low levels of integrity especially when faced with legal grey areas. Spot deliveries should be removed as they do nothing but help the dealer and put the potential owners in a precarious position if the unapproved financing falls through. A disabled veteran, who has never purchased a new truck finally decides to make the leap, a dealership who on the surface seems amazing to deal with. One spot delivery and failed financing deal two days later, and the honeymoon is short lived. Out of town and unable to review new documentation I requested the dealer to pick up its truck as financing had failed, it was their truck, and I couldnt give a yes or no until the paperwork was reviewed. Unfortunately for both parties, a drunk driver drove through my yard before my return, and broke the frame of this brand new truck. Putting on a wonderful front, attempting to help (at least on the surface), it seemed all was well. The insurance questioned who owned the truck, because documentation was never signed, and the fun began. On the verge of harassment the dealership went so far as to say they would drive to wherever I was located to get me to sign the documentation, because, in their eyes, why wouldnt I sign the documents I never had a chance to go over. They went so far as to say that the approving credit union knew the truck was wrecked, and that it was deemed OK. A quick phone call to a branch manager proved that the dealership was lying and never disclosed the accident, as a result, the credit union started that neither I or they had financial responsibility to the new truck. The dealer then took the stance that regardless, I owned the truck, and it was my responsibility, and I was on my own. Calls left unanswered, phone calls never returned, and a GM who wouldnt make contact, in stepped lawyers on both sides.  A month later and the issue is unresolved, the dealer refuses to be amicable, and now they have gone so far as to push my personally identifiable information to ANOTHER creditor, obtain an approval without my permission or signature, and expect me to make a payment on a truck I have yet to sign for by the 7th of January. As a disabled veteran, this is heartbreaking to be apart of, it has put me back in therapy. We have approached the VA and Prisma Health (my wifes place of employment) about publishing our story in their newsletter, as it obvious the only thing this dealer understands or respects is the bottom line. I will also be contacting, if approved, all local news outlets that are willing to listen, as this needs to be out in the open. I wonder how many lost customers this issue will cause? And for what? A truck? With so many Ford dealerships to choose from, Lugoff Ford (and by virtue the whole family of dealerships IE Lugoff Toyota, Carolina Dodge, etc.) needs to understand the repercussions of taking advantage of its disabled veterans and hospital workers.

Bought a 2018 F-150 XLT FX4 off road in May of 2018 and have many of issues. The major issue is the warped dashboard. Ford knows about the issue but will not do anything about it. Many of the new car trucks on the lots have this issue. The other issues that you need to be made aware of is; leaking water at the fire wall onto the brake pedal (3rd time in the shop and cant find the leak), both fog lights replaced because of broken on the inside, both drive and passenger seatbelts had to be replaced, 2 tail light bulbs replaced before realizing that the house was leaking and holding water, and the transmission has been looked at more than 5 times now. Every little thing that was covered by warranty has found its way on to Carfax. The price in may was $60,000.00 now because of the work the value of the truck is only $37,000.00. Be careful.

Last night, I spent the night at my boyfriends. I was awakened to the sound of an alarm and people screaming. I looked out the window and his Ford 1995 F150 was blazing. There were flames and black smoke and the smell of rubber. He was working and so, after calling the fire department, I called him. The truck had been sitting in the parking lot for three days and this night was the coldest night of the week and it was raining. I was thinking that someone set the truck on fire but, after reading the information on this site, I am shocked and amazed. My mom bought this truck from a dealership about ten years ago and it was well maintained. Apparently, that means nothing and filing any paperwork with Ford would be useless. This really sucks. We will never buy another Ford ever!

Well after months of working with Ford to get something for all the trouble I had with the fiesta. Car shutting off on when I’m driving, shuttering when it did drive, door latches going out in the first 30 days of me owning it. Hours spent at Ford to have them tell me it’s fixed and drive home to find out it’s not. I finally traded it in and Ford said because I don’t own the car anymore they are not going to help me even though they sent me the form saying they could. Thank You Ford for wasting my time and money. Never again will I buy a Ford. Saying we are an American company but making parts in Mexico. At least other companies don’t ** as much as you do.

STAY AWAY FROM ALL FORDS AND BUT ESPECIALLY THIS DEALERSHIP. My daughter purchased a 2015 C-Max from a dealer in RVA. With less than 7K miles on that vehicle, something from the road (according to Wynne Service), popped up and caused a screen cover to fall off the vehicle (which tells me something about the quality of a Ford). With an opportunity to take care of a Ford Customer, and a 30K vehicle, Wynne Ford, its Service Dept, management and CEO decided NOT to take care of the customer. After receiving a call at 8 am from service mgr., my daughter was told that the part was covered under warranty. 4 hours later, the same guy called back and said that it would not be covered due to normal wear and tear. We were later told by a member of Sr Management that Service Mgr did not verify tech assessment, and that the tech was not qualified (RED FLAG)!! Sr Mgr continued to stand by not covered, however offered to sell part at employee discount and no labor ($148). I explained that the dealership should be making that right due to all of the customer service nightmare that my daughter had been through, so she said she would speak to the CEO of Dealership to see if he would cover it... He refused!!! And my daughter is a supposed VIP Customer...whatever that means for Ford!!! We also filed a complaint with FORD ConsumerAffairs, and again got nowhere. They could have cared less about taking care of their customers. SO FORD, you have lost 3 customers who are in their early 20s. No chance at ever regaining their business! Nice work! So, he could have kept 3 FORD customers for a mere $150, but instead, my daughter, and 2 other family members, will be trading in their 2015 FORD vehicles, purchased in August, for another Car and rest assured it will not be a FORD product!! Moral of the story is.... the expectation of Customer service is non-existent in this Dealership, or with FORD in general... Bottom line: Chick-Fil-A gives me Customer Service 100 times better when I order a $4 kids meal! Nice Job Wynne. Way to look out for your brand. NOT!!

I called Ford customer service at 800-392-3673 (1 for English then keep hitting 0 and youll get a live person. I didnt even bother waiting to listen to the messages, just kept hitting 0). I was told that there is not a current recall for this issue with this model year. What they did was document the concern by forwarding it to the National Highway Safety Board. This stinks, as this will now cost a pretty penny to get fixed.

Called back customer service. Told Ford does not resolve issues, the dealer does. Explained difficulty with local dealers (dealers stated no issues with car). Told that is my only option. Called back to Ford customer service. Operator forwarded to manager. I was told I would have to speak to a senior manager. There would be a call back within 48 hrs. Call back same day. I couldnt answer at that time. I called back right away. LVM. Received call back the next day. Senior manager stated FoMoCo does not provide estimated gas mileage, the EPA does. Ford just puts that information on the sales sticker. I attempted to explain I did not want to hear excuses. I need some assistance with the gas mileage issue. He stated I was not listening to him. I attempted numerous times to ask him what he wanted me to do. At this time, he stated I was not listening to him. I became angry and attempted to obtain his instructions. Requested a different dealer. He agreed but still stated I was not listening. I explained the cars mileage situation numerous times. Requested his assistance. He declined to provide any information to me. I attempted one last time. He stated he would not provide information, stating he would refer me to his manager within 48 hrs. The 48 hrs. have passed and no call back. During the conversation, I mentioned in my opinion the car is too heavy for the 1.6 Ecoboost engines torque rating. He agreed the engine is working too hard to be efficient in this size of car. He also agreed the on-board computer is not the most accurate. But dealers equipment is accurate. I explained I understood the mileage will be less than the rated in real life. The car has never reached even 30 mpg on the freeway, 9-hour drive travel. The rated city mileage is 22 mpg. The cars actual mileage is 20 mpg combination freeway and city. He only stated the estimated mpg is provided by the government, not by Ford.

They got in contact with Ford Motor Company & did everything that they were told to do. WE are more than happy with our dealership but we are totally disappointed in Ford Motor Company, as they will not do anything else to fix the problem. We have been calling them for 28 months now & all they have offered us was $1,000.00 towards another new truck. We have spent more than that just traveling back & forth to the dealership trying to get help from them.We have had 23 Ford automobiles in the last 40 years. We have been loyal to the Ford company all of these years but I guess our Loyalty doesnt mean much to Ford Motors. Three of our trucks was well over 65,000.00. I guess this goes to show it doesnt matter how much money you give them, you are not worth the effort to help us or gives a real good deal on another truck. Oh well, maybe some other company will be better to us, as we will not be buying a new FORD TRUCK in the near future.

Im having Ford Fiesta 2014 sE. DUE TO RECALL IN CLUTCH I HAVE SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY CLUTCH REPLACEMENT FOR TODAY, May 24, 2016 at Edmonton, AB at 91 STREET. But they have not received clutch from USA and asked me to go back for 3rd time. In past the service guys have done the same thing, they called me to service station and then asked me to go back. Do they do communication in between? Or at least notify your customer before they arrived. I have changed my working shift because of them for 3rd time and what I got at the end: nothing. Poor service. Very Upset with the customer service they are offering.

The second front spring has now broken. First it was the drivers side - now the passenger. I dont understand why the recall doesnt include the 2003 model, since they obviously have the same problem as the other ones that there has been a recall on. The mechanic said it wont be long before the rear passenger one goes too. This is a very dangerous position that we have been put in by Ford not recalling these. Who is responsible for starting a recall? This is not fair or good business.

I get the notice when my truck is out of the warranty, so guess what, Ford will not cover the cost, but to add to this injury they dont have parts available for this recall. My truck has been sitting in a Ford Service Dept for 2 months waiting on these phasers, with no eta. on parts, and no assistance. Ford may look good but they do not stand behind the product, Chevy will definitely be my next choice.

Ford sold me new Ford Transit 2020 van and after only 6k miles and only few month of gentle use vans transmission broke. The van was making noise, no sensors went out so I kept driving and waiting for appointment to the shop for about 2 weeks. When at the shop I was told that all the fluid leaked out from transmission. I was driving this vehicle without transmission coolant for a period of few weeks so in my opinion the transmission is done and only a matter of time when it completely goes. People at the shop replaced the faulty part and send me on my way. When I called Ford customer care department to complain and ask to at least give me extended warranty so I feel more confident in the vehicle, and to know if transmission breaks again at least it would be covered under warranty. Ford customer care representative (Kaytlyn **) offered me a free oil change, can you believe this? A free oil change? Which made me even more upset about the whole situation and ford customer service.P.S They sold me a vehicle which was manufactured in January and I bought it in November, the van was passed from dealership to dealership with some miles on it until it found me and was sold to me as a new vehicle, salesperson failed to disclose this information until after the purchase. My advice is think twice before you buy a Ford product!

My complaint is with Ford Motor Company. My vehicle was covered under the power train warranty and I noticed sluggish shifting and jarring in low gears. Because it was within 60k miles, I took it to their service center. They said they created ROI but couldnt do anything until a service light came on. It felt unsafe to drive but I did continue driving, the service light came on when it downshifted too far and red lined. I took video and picture of this within the vehicle, but the light shut off before I could get back to them. They claimed they couldnt recover the code, but they did have my picture proving light had been on. They also drove vehicle and confirmed the mechanical issue I experienced. This is all documented, but both the dealership and Ford is unwilling to service vehicle to satisfaction and now vehicle falls outside warranty mileage. I have all invoice documentation and pictures proving this, and Ford also said they cant fix vehicles without service light. This all took place over the course of 6 weeks or so, not years or even months. They are avoiding their warranty obligation.Shortly after, the service light came on and Ford confirmed what I already new, Transmission issues. Even though I reported the issue within warranty with ROI invoice created, Ford refuses to pay full cost of repair because light didnt stay on until just outside of warranty miles. This is definitely deceptive and probably illegal to not cover the repair, which is why Ford is offering to cover less than half. However, I would never recommend purchasing from Ford again as they dont back their warranties. Its unfortunate as Ive been a Ford owner of new vehicles for years, but I cant recommend anymore. Quality control and lack of Warranty consistency has hurt this once great American Brand.

Due to past help with constructing the PeaceNet a small International Network; that ultimately turned into the Internet, I can do things most people cannot. The e-mail explains the problems I am having with a Ford Escape. It is a new car with less than a thousand miles on it that is viewed as a deathtrap. Even more problems have come up by research that make the situation even worse. Every time the word Ford comes down the Internet, I am sent the e-mail address. Other words in the e-mail such as purchase can be used to define the list. I have amassed the e-mails of thousands of people that are considering purchasing something from Ford. The Ford resolution department has tried to solve the problem by giving me the X-Plan pricing. The problem is that I would purchase a Ford Edge which is a much safer car and I can get my wife and family to ride in. I have not been able to make a deal on an Edge even though I have the reduced pricing on the Edge because I cannot get the zero percent 72 month financing like I have on the Escape. I am 75 years old, my wife and I live on Social Security and have a house that has expenses plus living expenses that happen even though the house is paid for. I have a credit rating of 815. I live as economically as possible; no extra anything and never go to restaurants or any kind of entertainment. However, a large car payment does not fit into the budget. 72 month or 84 month would be ideal. I have had the Escape repaired at the finest body shop around and carries a lifetime guarantee on the work. Everybody at Ford Resolution is telling me I have to go to Ford Finance for the longer terms. I am going to lose money on the trade in even though it has only three digit miles on it. I have tried to get Ford to take the car back and they will not. Their resolution is that they give me a low price on the purchase, but the dealers will not give me the same finance arrangement. So I am appealing to Ford Finance. There are dealers in the far North area of Chicago that have longer Zero percent financing. I dont know if they use Ford Financing or not. Purchasing a car at a dealer 80 miles away makes no sense. If I cannot make a deal at a price and financing, then I must do my e-mail campaign. I am ready to send thousands of e-mails everyday to people around the world telling them the five points that I have found, as an Engineer by trade, that makes this car dangerous and risky to drive. I go into great detail about this. I have nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I would not let one of them ride in the rear area of this Ford Escape. The way that glass rear window just exploded after the accident is real scary. Glass came up into the front area like it was a bullet. It is my duty as a responsible citizen to do this.

I am the owner of a 2012 Ford Focus which is known to have a bad clutch and transmission. While I was under warranty, I had two clutches replaced and multiple software flashes to try and fix the issue. I have only had my new clutch for about 19,000 miles but because I am now out of warranty, they are making me pay for a new one. The first service representative at Miller Ford advised that we have the old clutch and right after they put that into my vehicle, they came out with a new clutch that fixed the issues the old one is having. He explained that due to this, the new one should be covered. After they diagnosed my vehicle, they are now stating that since my vehicle has over 100,000 miles, I would have to pay for the new clutch, even though they know they put a clutch in my car with KNOWN ISSUES. My husband was active duty military and when the military tells you to move, they dont pay to transport your car so we were forced to drive across the country with our vehicle. Military families will ALWAYS have more miles on a vehicle than a family that doesnt have to move all over the country. I find Fords actions reprehensible since they know the clutch that is in my car is BAD and they JUST REPLACED it. They also advised me that when a clutch is replaced under warranty, the warranty on the part is a lot shorter than if I had paid for it. Ford knows that they came out with a clutch to fix the problems that the one that is in my car is having, but yet they are STILL MAKING ME PAY FOR IT. DO NOT BUY A FORD, THEY ARE THIEVES AND AN UNETHICAL COMPANY.

I faced several safety-related issues with a FORD FUSION 2012. When I submitted a request for repurchase/replacement under the Lemon law, Ford agreed to repurchase/replace a lemon I purchased back in May 2012. I was negotiating the replacement option when FORD decided to cancel the offer. When I spoke to an attorney, they told me that the due date for filing under the lemon law had passed and hence, I was not eligible for an arbitration process under the Lemon law.I was told that FORD had essentially dragged the process to make my claim fall outside the Lemon law window and now I am forced to hire a private attorney to file a lawsuit. The attorney I spoke with advised that this can get very expensive if FORD decides to fight it, as they have a lot of resources. As a consumer, I feel cheated by this company - first when I was sold a lemon and then when they cancelled their offer for no apparent reason. This is just an abuse of the system.

On Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 10:00pm my 2001 Ford F-150 started a fire under the hood after being parked for several hours. There was no trouble with the truck and we had just spent about $700 on maintenance services. Thank God my husband & kids were still up when they heard a loud noise outside, went to see what was going on, and found the truck in flames. The fire started to melt the vinyl siding on my house but the firefighters arrived just in time before the house caught on fire. I thank God for sparing my family and home. I leased a 2015 Ford Fusion in the fall/winter of 2014 and have had it for 3 years and it gave me no problems the entire time. I took it on a few trips and it was great! I just traded it in thinking I would try a foreign car to take advantage of the mileage that they advertise so I traded it in for a 2017 Kia Optima. Ive had this car for less than 2 months and it has given me nothing but trouble (electrical/engine related). Its been in the shop for 2 weeks now and I havent heard any updates from the service manager as to when itll be fixed, or what the problems are with it. Ive dealt with the roadside assistance, the service center, the corporate office and of course the dealership and Ive been sorely disappointed with every aspect of Kias customer service. Ive been treated like a number and told that if Im unsatisfied with the vehicle that I should wrap it around a tree and get something else. Im never purchasing from Kia again... I miss my Ford sooo much!!!

Yesterday, I went out to my 2003 Ford Taurus SE to go to work. As I started to back out of the driveway, I heard a loud pop. I got out to find that the drivers side front tire was completely flat. When roadside assistance came to change the tire, he discovered that the coil spring had broken, stabbing a huge hole in the sidewall of the tire. He looked & said the sway bar link was also broken. The tire alone is going to cost me $110, & I will have to have the car towed as it is not drivable. The roadside assistance guy estimated the cost of repair between $500-$1,000, a wide range, I know, but looking at this forum, it appears its going to be more on the high end. I strongly suspect both front & rear will have to be replaced, and I have no idea where I am going to come up with that kind of money. Im very angry that this year has not been recalled, especially considering how dangerous this is. Im thinking strongly of starting a petition on change.org to get Ford to change its mind.

May of 2012 we purchased a brand new Ford f150. Less than 2 years later (before 50000 miles) we noticed the check engine light and airbag light came on. Took it in and got charged to do diagnostic test $75 with a warranty. Ford told us someone has to get paid for the work. Results were a fuel sensor. Our gauges are off. We can have a full tank of gas and it says empty and even alarms us. We can be driving and put the truck in neutral, turn it off and on and it will then give a reading. The check engine light is not always on and same with the airbag. Never got a reason for the airbag. The Ford mechanic claims there are no problems. We even had an experience once while driving we noticed smoke coming from under the drivers seat and smelled a hot smell. We pulled over to check it out and it stopped and we found nothing wrong or signs of burning. We feel ripped off and with the mechanics claiming nothing is wrong (when we know there is). After taking it to a Ford dealer they told me the part was on backorder and they had no estimate of when it would be fixed. Fast forward 8 weeks later, still not fixed, they refuse to give me a rental saying there is none available, Ive called and spoke to supervisors of Ford company and get nowhere. They have the worst customer service. We are currently looking to buy another car while we wait for that piece of junk Ford to be fixed which could take anywhere from a day to years at this point and the second we get it back, we are listing it for sale!!! I will NEVER buy a Ford again!!!

At the beginning of June I was lucky enough to notice that one of my doors was not closing before I left my parking spot. I had the car towed in to a Ford service center and was expecting it to have it fixed within a couple of days. I mean it is just a door latch (which they made out of PLASTIC by the way). After a few days of waiting I find out that they want to hold onto the car until at least September, for some reason they dont have this simple part anywhere in stock. Thats at least 3 MONTHS without a car that I am paying monthly and they are offering some rental car reimbursement for a small compact car which is only about $30 a day and I think the cheapest rental car is $35, nowhere near the value of the car I am leasing from them. If it was only for a week or two then I would have no problem with that. I have called them numerous times in order to work something out, maybe get the same value car rental compared to the one I am leasing, but they dont want to do anything. The customer means NOTHING to this company. You are absolutely 0 to them. As long as they are getting money from you they dont care how you are being inconvenienced.I had the pleasure of speaking to the regional manager of Ford in NY and she was utterly useless. The first time she called she couldnt even locate the car after I gave her the VIN and the dealership where the car is located. The second time she called she basically told me she cant do anything using her resources, another word I heard thrown around while on the phone with them. Its like they work on favors. She made it sound like I should feel privileged that they are even offering me a rental in the first place. She told me that the dealer can use their resources, again this word, and try to get the part faster or something. They are basically making me call everyone for them instead of them solving the issue. Its not my job do that, its theirs. Its the reason why they get paid. In my opinion this person gets paid for no reason and her job should be given to someone else that can actually help the customer. So to review: stuck 3 months without a car I am paying for, Ford is offering a partial reimbursement for a rental, Ford regional manager is useless (she does anything but manage). I will never in my life consider buying/leasing a Ford product again (including Lincoln).

Ford took the cheap way out and reprogrammed the steering module which fixed nothing. It was a way for Ford to clear our VIN number from the NHTSA recall list. 10,422 miles after the reprogramming the power steering failed. My 2015 Ford Taurus Limited has left me stranded 4 times since I purchased the vehicle. The problem seems to be with the fuel pump module, which has now been replaced 3 times in less than 3 months. The reason I am complaining is because of Ford customer service. I reached out to them on 9/26/2016 at 10:33 AM, and I was told that a regional customer service manager would contact me in 1 day. It is currently 11:13 AM on 9/28, and I havent heard from anyone. First of all, I have been without a vehicle for 4 of the last 6 days which affects my job, family, income, and personal responsibilities. There seems to be no sense of urgency for Ford and its customer service department to help me. I currently own 3 Ford vehicles, but I feel as that means nothing to them, and they could care less that I am a loyal customer. I feel that Ford needs to step up and take some responsibility and do right to me by compensating me for the missed income and expenses that have occurred due to this faulty vehicle. I have rented cars because of being stranded, and last week spent the night in a parking garage in downtown Chicago in my car with my family due to the failed vehicle. This is not right Ford! I shouldnt be the person that is paying for a troubled car that has only 26K miles. Sure the warranty is still in effect, but what do I do when stranded places? I doubt this will go anywhere but maybe someone from Ford reads this and steps up.

In 2014 December I bought two brand new Ford transit connects with bumper to bumper 3 year 36000 mile warranty on both vehicles. Both vehicles encountered heater vibration problems and electrical problems with the lights. Took both vehicles to Ford and they worked on the first one by removing the center console to see what the problem was and they found a rodents nest and body parts which they clean up and removed, but it was not covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. It cost me out of pocket over 400.00 dollars. The lights they said that it wasnt the bulb but rodents also had eaten the wires which again it not cover either under the bumper to bumper warranty so I could not see paying any more but that cost me 90.00 more dollars. So I was not willing to pay to have the second transit looked at.My wife and I both had no luck with Fords main office service because they said it wasnt their fault that rodents are eating the wiring and nesting in the heater unit. Disgusted with their answer I asked why are they using soy oil in their wiring insulation, seat foam plus the numerous pounds of recycled plastics and gasket materials. Its like a buffet for the rodents, they told theyre being green! When I wrote the checks for both these vehicles at Ford I did not see anything about them using recycled crap in these brand new vehicles, if I did I would not have bought them. I told the person that contacted us Why dont you smear steak sauce all over the car. But by using soy oil in the manufacturing its the same results with the rodent problem. While we were at Ford they laughed and said we were lucky they had a new car in the shop last week that was towed in because rodents had enjoyed eating most of the wiring but they said their insurance company paid thousands of dollars to repair it, why is it the insurance companys problem when Ford is inviting disaster by using soy oil in the manufacturing process so they can say theyre green. But the consumers are not aware of this. My grandfather worked and retired from Ford motor company, hes rolling over in his grave now.I have always bought Fords since I have been driving. Never have I had issues like this before, their smug attitudes that its not their fault rodents are the problem, I say it is their fault for using soy oil and recycled crap for gaskets wiring insulation seat foam and trim products. There should be a class action law suit against them for the repairs. But theyre not the only ones doing it. Something needs to be done, Maybe the United States steel workers union needs to put up pick lines on all the dealerships to let people know theyre going to left in the cold.

Before I retired we purchased a new 2014 Ford Edge. At 32,000 miles and 3 years old we had paint bubbling on the passenger side rear door where the door skin is crimped around the door shell. I took it to our local Ford dealership and it was scheduled in the body shop for a repair. Once completed it looked great. However, being a mechanic and building and painting street rods, I feared the corrosion would return. I voiced my concerns and was told the repair was guaranteed. At 39,000 miles and less than a year I returned to the dealership with more corrosion than ever. The dealership took photos and submitted them to Ford who denied any warranty. I contacted Ford and was told it had to have rust holes to be covered. Im so picky with my vehicles. I was furious. Averaging about 35,000-40,000 per year. Current mileage was 85,000 miles when driving down the road and vehicle began to lose power and the engine RPM increased. On the cluster red wrench light came on transmission fault service now and I could not accelerate. And the car decelerated rapidly. I managed to get the vehicle back to the house. Started it the next morning and got about 3 miles from the house when it repeated the same issues.I arranged for a flatbed to transport my vehicle to the local Ford dealership to get the vehicle diagnosed. Was informed from the service rep that the computer was indicating No Pressure and Improper Gear Ratio. Was told that Ford recommends to replace the entire transmission, which quoted a price of $4,700.00 for the part and an additional $1,500 to $2,000 for labor to remove and install the transmission. Warranty on a replaced transmission would be 100,000 miles and 3 years. What I do not understand is if a replacement transmission has this warranty, why does not a transmission in a vehicle built from the factory have the same warranty? Vehicle was no longer under the Ford standard Powertrain Warranty of 60,000 miles so, cost was all out of pocket.Service rep made the recommendation of contact Ford Service Customer Care and submit a claim. Made the call that evening and within 2 days received a response, stating: We have thoroughly reviewed your request and after careful consideration we regret that Ford is not able to provide financial assistance to address your issue. We are sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations at this time and recommend you continue to work with your Ford dealership to provide the best service for your vehicle in the future. So much for customer care. I understand that the vehicle has 85,000 but still it is only a 2 year old vehicle. Under the Ford Maintenance Schedule for a 2016 Ford Escape, the transmission is not to be serviced till 150,000 miles, which is just an oil change. I have had this vehicle serviced religiously with Ford for all oil changes, tire rotations or any other mechanical issue. Always have had a multi-point inspection done as well on the vehicle. Just had this vehicle serviced the month prior to this event and received a green check across the board on everything.Would recommend having your transmission looked at more closely in this vehicle, can be a costly overlook to you by your Ford service department. Needless to say, was not happy with Ford handling of this situation and especially the Ford Customer Care Relationship Center. Must be easy for someone to push a button saying No, when they do not need to put their name on a response and account for their actions.

2011 Ford Fiesta - Waiting for third clutch assembly parts. Car shuttering, lunging and failing to accelerate. No longer feel safe in this car. Ford refuses to give me loaner car to drive while waiting the eight to ten weeks for back ordered parts. Have had the problem since I purchased the car and still nothing to fix it. Have had several computer updates and one replacement on the TCM. Why cant the manufacturer make it right for their customers? I will be looking for another manufacturer for my next automobile purchase.

Ford finds fraud to be an appropriate means of snaking customers. According to their marketing department (Connor), this is a typical practice. They hire a 3rd party company to get information so that ford can send emails about “deals”. My father received an email that stated he could save $3500 on a new truck. He went to Woltz and Wind Ford to take a look and was set to buy until his salesman noticed something. His so called offer email was attached to someone else’s address. Mind you he’s lived in the same place for 45 years. How is it that a “marketing” company could screw up something so blatant? Then when you contact marketing they tell you that they have no ability to correct the problem. Here’s where the fraud accusation comes in.Dealers are still willing to submit the paperwork with the numbers for the “so-called rebate”. So customers, like my dad would be turned down for the $3500 rebate. I don’t know about the rest of the world but that’s a lot of money. They’re fraudulently using “buyer’s” emails attached to an unknown address to entrap the “buyer” into a contract that they would be stuck with. A rebate email never geared to work. Hopefully others would not be duped by their “snake-like” behavior. Make sure you ask questions! I’m leaving this review Bc I made the phone calls to Ford. I wasted hours on hold for every Ford representative that I spoke with to tell me that they are INCAPABLE of correcting the issue.

Last year, front right coil spring failed and punctured the tire requiring the car to be towed and repaired at a cost of $550. Seven months later, rear drivers side coil failed. Today actually, not sure if the tire has been damaged. I will check that at time of pick up at a cost of $350. I have owned many, many cars and never had this problem with any of them. I am concerned with the other two. Fortunately, both failures were at low speeds. How can this not be a recall. Im much more concerned with the safety aspect than the cost. While Im happy to own a 5 Star Taurus, maybe 5 is rated a little too high, and lets get this thing fixed before people start getting hurt. Thanks!

This car has power steering issues that has a recall, but Ford doesnt back it, so I have to pay 1400 dollars to replaced a steering gear. This car is dangerous. It goes out while driving making steering almost impossible. I will have it repaired and I will try to sell it. I will never buy another Ford product for myself or my family.

Eventually ford will end themselves with poor quality vehicles and exceptionally terrible service. Never in my life would I have thought a company would be capable of both. Get it together please. The Power Transfer Unit (PTU) on my 2010 Ford Edge with only 36876 miles went out and the repair cost me $1900. Ford is aware of this issue but it has not escalated to being recalled. There is no preventative maintenance that can be performed on this part. It supposedly has lifetime oil. However, they do leak and there is no way of adding oil to prevent the part from complete failure. Ford is not addressing the problem and is not concerned with customer satisfaction.

I love Ford vehicles. My first was an Explorer which I had for about 4-5 years but when both my dogs passed away, I needed to move on to help me forget but I sold it on my own and got a pretty penny for it. This was a rare occasion because I like to hold on to my vehicles. So I took the check I received for it and started my search for my next Ford. And of course there are the naysayers who will tell you that Ford stands for found on road dead But not in my case. My next Ford was in 1996, the last year they made the Bronco. I bought it in Nov of 1995 and I drove it for 20 years with regular upkeep but not one problem along the way. One month short of 20 years it got tired and had to go to Bronco heaven. I had more people asking me if I would consider selling it because I take care of my cars and even after 20 years, there was not a speck of rust on it. I was stopped at a light one day and the guy behind me got out of his car and came to my window just to tell me what a nice truck it was. Since then, I have been driving a non Ford car that I had in storage and I hate it. You cant see over other cars and trucks when you are stuck in traffic. But, never fear, the word is out that Ford will be bringing the Bronco back in 2018 and I will be the first in line. I just wish they would bring the little side windows back. They were awesome too.

Since 1959, I have been a loyal Ford owner/customer. I worked as a mechanic
Since 1959, I have been a loyal Ford owner/customer. I worked as a mechanic and service manager for a Ford dealership back in the 60s for almost 10 years at which time I attended Ford Motor company classes in White Plains NY and have dealt with many of the factory representatives and corporate people. So I know a little about Ford. Back then and beyond for quite a number of years, Ford Motor company promoted consumer satisfaction as one of their major concerns. As of late, I cannot state that any longer.Fords quality control has diminished to a low I could have never expected, not only with the manufacture of their automobiles but also the arrogance, disrespect and sheer lack of concern for the consumer. We all are aware of the fact that mechanical things can inherit defects from time to time and some are not the fault of Ford Motor Company like the Takata air bag debacle. It is extremely difficult to remedy a situation as large as this and this is where customer service comes in but Ford has a problem with customer service. They are poorly educated in the field, have no power to get anything done or render any assistance for your concern. Instead, they become frustrated and arrogant and leave you stranded and helpless directing you to take it up with your dealership of which if that were acceptable I would not be calling Ford Motor Company.Among many recent scenarios that have taken place with Ford in the last few years, including a 2011 Mustang with transmission problems that could not be repaired by the dealership that being Dana Lincoln Mercury of Staten Island NY or the so called engineers that came to check the car, I finally had to lemon law it and had Ford take it back after 8 months. The lawyer that handled my case was great at no cost to me, Ford customer service, horrible. After that was settled, I made the mistake of purchasing a 2012 Mustang from the same dealer, Dana Lincoln Mercury of Staten Island NY. Same lack of concern from Ford over a problem with dash gauge clear plastic that was delaminating and blurring vision of gauges and radio. Ford Motor company when contacted, told me it was my fault for using some form of chemical that caused it to delaminate even though it was delaminating from the inside of the clear plastic, not the outside. Then there was a problem with paint bubbling on the hood of the car. The skin of the hood is aluminum and the frame is made of steel. These two types of metal cannot touch without causing a chemical reaction which causes aluminum to oxidize causing the paint to bubble. Paint problems, if you check with Google, has been going on with Ford since the year 2006. You would be amazed at the depth of which this paint problem has gone on and not been exposed. Fords solution,Sorry cant help you. Its probably something you have been using while washing the car. You cant repaint it, oxidation never stops once it starts. My fix, purchased a fiberglass hood for $1400.The latest situation is with my wifes 2007 Mustang with 21,000 miles on it and a DEFECTIVE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR. Now I know its difficult to repair thousands upon thousands of cars and obtaining all of those parts from the manufacturer is almost impossible. We waited 2 years from the first recall letter and understood that it is important to recall the newer cars first. So we waited. Checking with the dealer from time to time. Finally we received a letter from Ford that our parts for the 2007 Mustang are now available, call your dealer. We did, set up an appointment, brought the car in just to be told that the parts are not in yet, even though Ford said they were. The service manager assured me that the part is now available and they would order the part and call when it came in. They never called and when I called them, they said they would have to order the part. Here we go round in circles. After 4 attempts with the dealership I contacted Ford Motor Company. It took 3 phone calls to get to a representative that understood my problem and only because I was able to understand him and he understood me. He contacted the dealership, Dana Lincoln Mercury and ordered the part needed for the 2007 Mustang. He also completed the task and made an appointment for me to have it done that coincided with the arrival of the part. I was shocked. Brought the car in on that day at 8 AM and was told that there is no stock on the part needed for my car. Went back home and called Ford Motor Company, tried to explain my problem, spoke to someone who spoke very bad broken English and could not help me at all. At that time I called back and spoke to someone else and asked to be escalated to a supervisor with no success. That customer service representative told me that I had no such recall on that car. The next representative said he would call the dealer, put me on hold and came back and said there were no service advisors available at the dealership to speak to. I said, there are 9 of them there, call back. After he got arrogant with me, I got him to call back. At the same time I called the dealer and spoke to a service advisor. The Ford representative came back on the line and told me again that he could not get to talk to a service advisor. I had to stop. The level of frustration was just too great. I later called Ford customer service again and requested a supervisor. I was told that one would contact me within 48 hours. At this time, I am awaiting their call. If I do not receive a call shortly, I am going to contact local news agencies and the pertinent Government agencies for assistance. Remembering what you have previously read and hopefully you have googled Ford bubbling paint be advised, Ford has made an all aluminum pickup truck this year. I dont know how theyre keeping the paint on it but I would investigate it further if you are thinking of buying one. Leasers have no problem, just give it back. I think thats why Ford quality control does not exist any longer. It doesnt have to. And by the way, I have found out that the dealership, Dana Lincoln Mercury of Staten Island NY, has no loaner cars available. It seems that they have become inundated with a large amount of transmission problems that have taxed them to the limit but you will never hear about that either. I will never purchase another Ford as long as I live even though I am a die hard Mustang lover. Very sad. You have been Advised.

I contacted Ford Motor Company to make a complaint and I was told that there was no recalls on that truck for that specific year. I had been hit on the head which caused damage to my brain in which I havent been able to work. My wife is in kidney failure awaiting treatment for chemo and had been infusing to stay alive! We have always been good payers with Ford credit company, have always, when we made an arrangement to pay, did pay my Ford account. My wife called and was not authorized on my account and talked to Ford customer service department in regards to payment arrangements on my truck, acct **, for an F250 truck. Ford spoke to her and she had asked about it in the future, since I was sick with head injury, if we had to give back vehicle voluntarily in the future, if something happened, what are the steps. The customer service advised her not to do that and to try to find another person to buy the contract and get out of name. The customer service looked at the account and said that as long as $45 was made and a payment of $175 was made in 7 days, the account would be fine and the vehicle would be okay. And, Ford would work with us on the truck until health was better as we were good customers with Ford! After the conversation with Ford, my wife said that she had asked about repossession, they werent interested in doing that. After she heard what would happen, payment then was made on the truck for $399.15 and another for $175 and $200 through the automated system on the phone.Anytime I tried to pay my account over the phone, the contract number would come up as fusion and SSN would not match. Ford was told several times about the error, something was done in refinance, several payments were made, and 3 days later, at 1:40 am, my truck was repossessed from my yard, after my being in the hospital with severe brain injury. Ford had told me a week before the vehicle was fine as long as arrangement was followed through and the Ford truck would not be in default or repossessed in which there was no letter, no warning, nothing. They came, got the truck with payment arrangement done and agreed to by Ford Credit! Payments that were made werent credited correctly on the truck or the other acct **. Edge is ahead, not due till August 2012 with $100 due in July 2012.Being sick, I requested help with the truck since I havent been able to work and I could have borrowed money to catch up payment if I knew of them coming to get the truck! There was no letter, no warning! Yolanda, in customer service, is rude. She told my wife and me on the speaker phone after the truck had been repossessed that the reason was because my wife had asked about voluntary surrendering of the truck if something happened in the future but not at present time. Ford should have not even spoken to my wife about the account. I should have been contacted with this information. It was my account, not my wifes! The repossession company, the driver for Carolina Lending out of Myrtle Beach, SC picked the truck up 3 days after payment arrangement was made and payment posted on Saturday, the 12th. The truck was picked up on the 10th.The repossession driver lied and was rude to my wife and taunted me at the repossession lot, laughed and said the only reason this happened was because of my last name, **. The driver held a grudge for the ** family and threatened that he was coming for my Edge that was current. The system at Ford doesnt post for 3 days or more. That is not my fault. My Edge is not due till August 2012. The driver was rude and threatening me on the lot with vulgar language and rudeness! The police have a report! Ford had no right to speak to an unauthorized person on the account and also, after payment arrangement was made and agreed, and customer service told me a week before and my wife, that nothing would happen and they repossessed. This was wrong. Please help me. Now they want me to pay my truck in full, $18,000. Yolanda is a rude and nasty person at customer service and the supervisor Ms. ** wont call me back! Please help me!

I like the sound system in the Mercury. Trunk is extremely roomy as well as the overall space and its a pleasure to drive when its not broke down. Love that the seats recline all the way back and the back seats fold in for added cargo space for the trunk. But Im not really pleased with this car like I would have hoped to be. It has been unreliable on several occasions and its giving me more headaches than pleasure breaking down on me. Also the console is way smaller than I expected and I wanted a deeper glove box. The drink holders arent adjustable for bigger cups which is very aggravating. I also wanted the car to come with 5 star rally wheels instead of standard spare tire. I wish that the overall length was a little bit bigger and the access to certain areas under the hood was better aligned for easier working space and the doors and windows access for the back seats are made ridiculous.

February 5, 2014, I was sent to Ford in Olive Branch Mississippi to check out the 2014 Ford Fiesta. I was on the road the next day (the car was delivered from about 40 miles away in TN). Sunday on March 2nd I was pulling into the driveway and the engine malfunctioned and vibrated continually until the engine was shut off. I cranked it up and it was fine afterwards - I assumed it was a simple computer issue. March 4, 2014 - MY BIRTHDAY. I pick my daughter up from school and break down at a four way stop on the way home. ENGINE MALFUNCTION. Shut off engine immediately. Major vibration! Roadside assistance was attentive, but couldnt get to me until 6pm. By this time Ford could not tell me if I was able to get a rental car or anything until my car made it to the shop. All I wanted was an answer and a plan on getting my daughter to school the next day. I get a rental the next day, but not until about 10:30am and this is after calling all morning and being avoided. I was called to pick up my vehicle on Thursday afternoon and told that a code was ran showing problem with the throttle and the problem was WEATHER INDUCED. They reset the computer and gave me the car back. I knew this would be an issue. An hour after driving the car, it malfunctioned again, and once again would not accelerate or move more than a few inches. I was picked up and given a rental. I was not contacted throughout the weekend. I called Monday morning with no answer so I decided to go get some things out of my car. They told me they were just about to call me to let me know my car was ready and that they had replaced the entire throttle body. I was not happy about keeping a brand new car that already had a serious problem, but needed to catch up on all the errands. Today - Tuesday, March 11 I find myself BROKE DOWN AGAIN. I now have no rental, no car, and a booked vacation in 3 days. Happy spring break to me. I will never purchase a Ford again. Not to mention the miles put onto my car from the shop driving it as well as the gas that was not replaced.

Can anyone help with this matter? I write a letter to Santander explaining this matter and they took away 3 payments that I already paid. Scammed and helpless.

The Ford Flex is a wonderful vehicle. The interior is roomy and very comfortable and the ease of entry and exit is great. Also, the sound system is great and the seating and cargo capacity meets my needs as the father of seven.
