The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV is a compact all-electric SUV designed to be practical, efficient, and affordable. It’s offered in two trims, LT and RS, each with front-wheel drive as standard and optional all-wheel drive. The LT FWD model delivers 220 hp and 243 lb‑ft of torque, with a range of around 319 miles (513 km). The AWD variant steps up to 300 hp and maintains a commendable 285 mile (459 km) range.

The RS adds sporty styling cues without changing range figures. Charging support includes DC fast charging up to 150 kW, allowing around 77 miles (125 km) in 10 minutes, and Level 2 AC charging at a standard 11.5 kW (with an optional 19.2 kW uplink on select models). A full charge via home charging takes about 7–9 hours.

Drivers report real-world efficiency at 3.5 mi/kWh, occasionally reaching 3.8 mi/kWh in warmer conditions, making it cost-effective for daily use. Cold weather can shorten range by 10–20%, but Equinox retains decent usability even in low temperatures. Public fast charging speeds vary; the vehicle peaks around 150 kW but may taper quickly depending on charger capability and temperature.

Interior space is generous, matching or exceeding competitors in passenger and cargo room. The cabin boasts a large 17.7‑inch infotainment touchscreen paired with an 11‑inch digital cluster, sporting Chevy’s Google integration. Some trims lack wireless phone integration, but infotainment reviews highlight speedy, intuitive software updates. Standard safety tech includes automatic emergency braking, lane keeping, and blind‑spot monitoring.

Pricing begins at approximately USD $33,600 for the LT FWD (plus destination), rising to around USD $43,400 for the RS. In Canada, similar pricing applies, and the Equinox EV qualifies for a USD $7,500 federal tax credit in the U.S., effectively reducing the base price to around USD $27,500. Total cost of ownership is appealing due to low electric fueling costs—about USD $750 annually—and reduced maintenance. On the downside, fast‑charging costs at public stations can approach the cost of gas, and the lack of a frunk and slightly grainy backup camera have been noted.

Overall, the Equinox EV offers a compelling balance of range, tech, safety, and value—making it one of the strongest mass-market electric SUVs available today.

It gets me where I need to go, no matter what the weather. It goes in summer and winter with no problems. When a Dodge truck got stuck in the driveway in winter my husband use the Chevrolet to push it out. Even though it sat for a long time before being bought it needed very little done to it. It has always been dependable.

We purchased a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe from Koon’s Chevrolet of White M
We purchased a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe from Koon’s Chevrolet of White Marsh, MD in 2018. It now has 31,000 miles on it. We drove an hour to this dealership multiple times even though we could’ve bought 1 closer to home because we had loyalty to the sales person who spent all of the time with us. There was nothing better about the price etc. With owning our own business we understand the importance of time & commission. As of June 30th, it had 3 issues: 1. Air conditioner was not working. 2. Thump sound coming from under drivers side area when driving3. Peeling paint on an area where bumper meets side panelWe drove it out of town for the 4th of July holiday & the AC wasn’t working. I called & scheduled service on July 5 for a July 8 appointment. I explained to guy in service what the issues were & that I had tried to take it for the paint to another dealership closer to home & they advised that I would need to go to a dealership with a body shop & that Koons had 1 since that is where I had bought the car so when I made the appointment I notified of them of all of this & requested a loaner car since it would probably be a couple of day fix if it was paint related. They said OK & transferred me to the call center to make the appointment. I mentioned many times that I expected these things to be covered under warranty. At no time did anybody say they wouldn’t be or that my car was out of warranty. My husband takes the morning away from our business to drive the car an hour away for the services. Upon arrival at Koons, without even trying to be helpful or offering other avenues the service advisor (Charlie) was immediately snarky & couldn’t wait to tell my husband that the car was out of warranty & we would have to pay for the loaner & diagnostic fee & that any repair would be out of pocket because we were 11 days out of warranty even though mileage was low. When I made the appointment we were 3 business days out of warranty. This immediately upset us. My husband said, Isn’t there anything you can do? And the advisor said, No you’ve never even used us before why would I help you. Which actually is inaccurate. Koons repaired things on our car & did an oil change or two. However a car with 31,000 miles shouldn’t need many services so of course we hadn’t used you for anything else why would we. So here we are the first time we really need assistance after buying a very expensive car from Koons & we are treated this way. We own a business that deals with warranties and manufacturers nonstop. We have to service & warranty units that we did not install. We’ve made exceptions for customers. We always go above & beyond. We have a 5 star rating. Chevy does the same. Nobody even ever offered to try & help us or call GM or anything. As a Cadillac owner I know the lengths that my local dealership has went through for me even though I did not buy the car through them. So I told my husband to ask for the manager & try to get the same level of service that we’ve had with our prior vehicle through Cadillac. While he did that I called Chevy. I spoke with a great advisor & received a case ID & filed my complaint. I got everything taken care of on the phone with somebody that we had not spent a dollar with. That’s customer service.Meanwhile my husband is wasting time debating the level of customer service we deserve with your manager (Dan) after having quite the discussion with your advisor. The advisor was arrogant & unhelpful. The manager wasn’t very helpful either but at least he wasn’t that arrogant & rude. My husband drove the car back to our local dealer who picked up the case & fixed everything & helped us get it covered. Yes the dealership that we did not give the business of a car sale to was the one that ended up helping us so guess who gets our business going forward. Jeff D’Ambrosio that’s who. Koons dealership isn’t even a 1 on the scale, it’s -5. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had from a car dealer or mechanic shop anywhere.

I have really enjoyed this vehicle and have taken it in many long road trips. It is quite comfortable to ride in for long periods. It has been very dependable. Only needed minor cosmetic repairs and regular maintenance such as new tires, replacing headlights, etc. I like the silver color and that it came with lots of features factory installed like sunroof, XM radio and GPS. I like that it has room for hauling stuff, the back seats fold down and it has a very spacious cargo. Also it gets excellent gas mileage and I just like the overall look of the car. But the backseat doors are very small and do not open wide. It makes cleaning difficult. I also am not able to put a bike rack on the back due to the hatch back. Also I wish the console between the two front seats wasnt there. I never use the cup holder and I have to put my purse in the back seat if I have a passenger.

The Chevy Sonic LTZ Turbo 2015 gets great gas mileage. Its reliable, its small and in the backseat area it has a video player in radio. It also has bluetooth radio connections. I have had a few repairs but nothing major. Though I would like it to have more radio features, more room, dual AC and sunroof. They could also make OnStar GPS bigger when doing directions, make it easier to play videos on the TV, have a CD player loader, horn, armrest on passenger side and cup holders in back air vents in back. But other than those, I like the OnStar and XM radio. I also like that its a hatchback, has touchscreen radio, Pandora and USB port. It is easy to use radio and app for car information on gas mileage, oil mileage, turn car on and off and tire pressure diagnostics.

The 2018 Chevrolet Trax is a small SUV base model, thats missing a lot of bells and whistles. Found out the hard way after taking a road trip, there is no cruise control. No center console; no passenger armrest; no camera alarm when backing the vehicle up; one of the USB ports stopped working after 1 mo; feels like the AWD kicks in when it should not. Had an issue with the wifi after the trial period, reported to OnStar however, OnStar didnt tell us they fixed the wifi issue.

Own the Chevy Bolt for less than 6 months. Hatch window shattered for not apparent reason. Turning in an intersection, so no other vehicle passing. I took the car back to Jenner Chevrolet in Victoria, BC thinking this was a faulty window. I was informed they will not replace it even though there is no evidence of impact or damage to the window to warrant the window to shatter. The Jenners repair and parts manager told me the side and back windows are designed to shatter with any impact for safety reasons! He then proceeded to inform me that a small sliver of porcelain dropping on the window could cause it to shatter. He refused to contact Chevrolet to enquire if this will be covered, or report the incident. Told me that would be up to me to report this. So I am assume if this is how Chevy designs their windows to shatter with minimal impact, I dont think I would feel safe placing a toddler in the car in case they decided to tap on the windows and have it shatter in their hand. Initially I was accepting of the poor ride and comfort of the Bolt (poor suspension and uncomfortable seats), but I dont think I would recommend this vehicle to my friends or family. I was initially going to purchase a Nissan Leaf as friends has been pleased with their Leaf and has never had any issue with the Nissan dealership in Victoria, BC.

You shouldnt have problems like that with a new car. However, other than those it has been a good car, good price, and good gas mileage.

I fell in love with my Chevrolet when I first saw it. I wish that it would speed up when I need it to. I would also like to have a back up camera and I wish I had leather seats or heated seats. Also, it needs to have better brakes and better steering for me and other people driving it. But other than those, I like how compact and cute it is. Its very lovely and eye catching to many people. I also love the color of the car. It suits me very well. I love this car overall.

I would not recommend this company. All the GM support advisors do is schedule appointments, they dont care about your concern, nor do they care to get to the bottom of the actual problem. Ive had my 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV for a year and a half now and Have had lots of electronics problems. They tell me they cant use a video to fix the issue that if its not malfunctioning at the time when its at the dealer, they wont fix it. Of course the car comes out of its bumper to bumper warranty by mileage and the entire infotainment fails and the other issues Ive complained about will finally get fixed at my extended warrantys expense and my $100 deductible. I call to speak with a senior advisor, they dont call back, they dont call when you tell them to call and will do what they want, when they want. This is the worst car company Ive ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Ive had Hondas, Fords, VWs and Chevy and Chevy has been the worst ownership experience ever.

Too bad GM killed this car. 2018 is the last year for the 6 speed manual. Not even available in the 2019, and now, GM thought it was a great marketing move to kill all of their cars that normal people can afford. My car has been very reliable, and on a recent Buffalo to Chicago trip, averaged nearly 50 MPG. It also has a great deal of useable power and torque with the manual box. A 1.3 litre turbo 4 is not the slug you might expect. I dont want an SUV or truck of ANY kind. I want a car thats fun to drive and handles well. Thats why GM is getting it back in a week when my lease is up - and isnt leasing me anything else. After leasing me my last 4 cars. Ive replaced it with a 21 year old car in excellent condition, which pays for itself in about a year of not making payments. Now I can buy something really fun instead - another motorcycle!

My Chevrolet Metro has 13 inch tires so for street use only. Good gas mileage. Only 3 cylinders, so not a lot of power. Definitely a smaller vehicle, and so I try to stay off the highway. It has 4 door, comfortable seating. Easy to drive in the city and okay first car. Experts recommended the vehicle and this model has good customer ratings but it was a mistake purchase, should have purchased a different vehicle... Replacement parts are expensive though and its not the safest of vehicles if in an accident.

The Chevrolet was what was available to me for a vehicle with the amount of money that I was able to spend at that time and point. I have had nothing but problems with that model and had a Ford been available to me that is what I would have chosen. I am just not a fan of Chevy vehicles. I would rather own a Ford seeing I have never had an issue with a Ford and that is what I grew up around was Ford brand vehicles and when there was a Chevy in my family we always had problems with them.

To start I love Chevrolet. Well I did. I have literally owned 15 Silverados from 73 to my 2019 and by far I am more disappointed in spending 50k on a z71 truck than anyone of my old ones. I drove through 1ft of water and it took out my engine. Some may say its my fault just like the dealer. However if you advertise a truck let alone a 4x4 z71 offroad addition it should be able to handle some water. I have had plenty of my old truck in 3ft of water/mud and kept going like champions. A lifetime of driving chevys and I still just cant believe this. And Im stuck with the bill. Absolutely horse crap. Besides all the recalls that are going on with starts and rear windows leaking.. Chevy needs to start taking pride in their vehicles again.

I’m a retired senior widow. In August 2019 I gave up my Chrysler in favour of what I thought would be an economical Chevy. I bought a new Spark. I knew within the first week that I didn’t like it. When I stepped on the gas it hesitated. The service manager told me that that is normal for the Spark. Now, January, the car is plugged in. I drive it every second day to go shopping etc. One Monday morning the car wouldn’t start. On the third Roadside Assistance call I had the car towed back to the dealership. They checked everything and told me the battery was dead and I needed a new one. I asked how that was even possible with a new car. They advised me that if I wanted the battery to stay charged I would have to drive it about an hour every second day. I’m retired! I don’t need to drive an hour anywhere! So much for economical. So they didn’t have the required battery. They ordered one from the USA which got sent to Toronto instead of Winnipeg, or so they told me. By day ten they were telling me that they couldn’t track the battery so they really had no idea where it was. Still waiting! To summarize: I would not, nor would I recommend that anyone buy a Chevy Spark. Perhaps not even a Chevy of any kind.

My Chevy is a sporty car and also known as a muscle car. They went away for quite a while and then the company decided to bring them back to compete in the market and it was successful. I like the overall sleek body and with all the curves. I had made a few upgrades myself and now the car looks amazing and is still very fun to drive. The color also makes the car look more mean and nasty. It is a low model though and not much of any features are in this car. I bought the base model because it was the cheapest option for me at the moment.

Purchased a 2012 Chevy Suburban on Feb 4, 2012. Current mileage is approx.
Purchased a 2012 Chevy Suburban on Feb 4, 2012. Current mileage is approx. 19,170. Where should I start? The buying experience was of course easy and welcoming. However after that everything went downhill. The first problem I experienced was I found a lease paper in the truck with someone name on it. I do not know if I still have this paper or not. However the mileage in and out was not disclosed on the paper. I was told the vehicle had 10 miles on it. When I left the dealership and upon finding these papers I checked the trucks mileage it stated the truck had 160 miles on it not 10. I let it slide. The next issue was the metal piece inside the body stripping was rusting through the rubber. Rust was oozing out of this body stripping on all four doors. The truck was only 1 year old. I took the truck to the dealership I had purchased from. The service personnel at the dealership told me this isnt the rust belt nothing rust here it is just dirty water all Suburbans gets dirty water there. Knowing he was being smart I took the truck to a body shop. The body shop took photos and said this is warranty work. When the guy pulled the molding apart rusty water spewed out at him. I stated, Try getting that done down at Chevy so I want you to fix it. He stated he would be glad to fix it but he wouldnt charge me he would charge Chevy since it was warranty work and each of these door strips cost 120 dollars plus. He said he would call me. Several hours later my phone was blowing up with calls from the dealer. Come to find out the dealership doesnt have a body shop and that shop does paint and body work for them. Well Chevy reps were going crazy. They asked me to bring the truck in to inspect it again. So I did. The manager of the service department stated to me, I could blame this on you but you take too good care of this truck. He was infuriated with me to say the least. I told him what his employee said to me and he was even more livid. It took a total of 3 to 4 weeks before they called me with the new molding to install in the truck. After all that nonsense a year later that molding was also starting to rust. This is because Chevy doesnt seal the molding and there is a slit where the piece join and water gets down in there from washing the truck and such. The next issue I was having troubles {and still do} with my tranny getting up to 195 degree temps driving in the city in the summer. I do not tow with this truck. The running temps of these trannys are 175. These Suburbans run hot. So I decided I would order an auxiliary external tranny cooler. When I went to the same dealership to get it installed I sat there for 4 hours before they came and told me, The part wouldnt fit we tried every way possible to get it to fit and it wont. Why were you trying to force the wrong part to fit my truck, I asked. They didnt respond. Come to find out these Suburbans can take two different tyranny coolers one cheaper and the one for my truck a whopping 374 dollars. The cheaper one is about 100 dollars. Thats not including installation. I said forget it and walked off. One time I had looked up a part online and it stated the sale price and the normal price. When I went to that dealership they did not charge me the sale price but the full price for a part that was on sale. The next issue we had a cold winter in 2014/15 and the beginning of 2015 my OEM battery died. I called Chevy roadside they were the best so far. The truck being under extended warranty major guard a 2500 dollar warranty. Knowing it did not cover the battery but I had to go to the dealership to get the truck serviced because of warranty. I called the dealer and they were too busy to put a battery in my truck. There is only 2 Chevy dealers in town and both stink. So I digress I drove the truck the next 6 days on that jump then it died again. Chevy roadside came out again and jumped it told me the cells were about all dead. I drove to that same dealer. Meanwhile my volts were jumping everywhere from 17 down to 13 up to 16 down to 12. I was scared the truck was going to shut off. At the dealership the service rep said that battery wasnt under warranty and I agreed since the bumper to bumper was expired. I asked for a ACDelco gold to be installed. A 200 dollar battery. The dealer was having a battery sale so it was a little cheaper. Sitting in the waiting room, I had been up for 20 hours, the same guy comes and tells me the mechanic thinks the battery is under warranty so we are trying to charge it. That shows you how these people treat warranty work. Trying to recharge a battery that over half the cells are dead its not a wise move. I snapped at the guy and said, Hey I thought we agreed that battery isnt under warranty and I asked for a new battery so why wasnt it put in so I can go? Finally after 3 long hours I got the new battery. Its weird because every time Chevy roadside sends someone to jump my truck they look for the battery on the drivers side and when not finding it there think someone stole my battery. My battery is located on the passenger side and I have an empty slot for a second battery. So Im wondering if these trucks need two batteries when towing. I digress. That was the last time I went to that dealership. Since I have replaced my OEM battery my truck has other problems. My daytime running lamps work off and on. Two months dont work then one magical week will. Another problem when I turn my A/C on this terrible vrrr noise from under the hood and my volts plummet very quickly. I just sit and watch the volts plummet down to 12. I have to turn off the A/C then the volts go back up. Other times there is a 50/50 chance the volts will either read 14.2 or they rise up to 16. Before the OEM battery went out my volts always read 14.2. Now GM tries to tell me the voltage regulator isnt correct? It read 14.2 for three years. Its correct. I guess another battery is being fried. I can go to the store, park, turn off, come back out 40 minutes later turn on and automatically the volts are 16 and will stay there the whole 30 minute trip home. No phone or laptop charging etc. So there is no extra load on the voltage regulator. Come out the next day turn on and drive the volts will be 14.2.Next trip volts are soaring. So I went to GMC. I told them about it. I asked them to check my alternator. After checking the alternator they told me there was nothing wrong with it and they said there is a TSB on these trucks that they will do this. I called Chevy themselves and Chevy asked for my VIN number. I gave it and Chevy said that the TSB was not attached to my VIN. So remember TSBs are attached to VIN numbers and not all models. This is what Chevy told me. However Chevy did nothing to help me with either one of their dealerships to get these problems fixed.I had enough of their lack of customer service. They only seem to care about getting that 50,000. They dont make them like they used to. Right after my bumper to bumper expired in 2015, after that cold snap, I noticed I have the infamous cracked dash. On the left side of my passenger airbag. Then just this January after the temps got down to 28 I noticed one night my dash was bowed inward and had actually came apart from its own seam. The part by the windshield is now loose. It appears to me these dashes cannot take temperature fluctuations. My dash had contracted from the cold and was literally bowed downward to where I could easily place my finger under the dash part by the windshield. This part of my dash contains a sensor I believe its for the lights on the truck. I read on the internet that apparently at one time Chevy was trying to blame the dashes cracking because people using Armor all. Well Chevy I got some news for you I DO NOT USE Armor all. I pay the 16 to 18 bucks plus tax for the ACDelco tire dressing. A Wisconsin lawsuit alleges GM knows about this defect. According to the suit, GM hired a company to see if common cleaning products like Armor all were to blame. See I buy GM products to clean a GM product. I use the detailer, carpet cleaner and this ACDelco tire dressing all are sold at the dealerships. These products did not keep my dash from cracking nor my running boards fading to gray. So which is defective their dashes or their cleaning products? Buyer beware! The Chevy dealerships and the one GMC I dealt with were kissing face to get that paper in their hand but when business got real they never helped me get my truck fixed. Dont let Chevy tell you that your dash is cracking cause Armor all. I purchase about 2 to 3 bottles of this Tire Dressing stuff a year plus use a sun visor. The product does not keep running boards from fading and cannot keep a defective dash from cracking. Its good for leather seats though. So I use GM product that states will help prevent dashes from cracking and my dash cracks and splits and comes apart. Now a new dash plus labor around 1300 for a replacement 2007 2012 dash. The same dash? Thing will crack again probably and if it does then I would have spent 433.33 a year for three years before the cracks return or 260 a year for 5 years before the dash cracks again. Thats more a year for a dash than regular maintenance. If it was a 20,000 dollar automobile I would expect such things. Chevy always brags about exquisite quality. This is not that at all. Too much heartache, grief and nonsense over this truck and its needs. I have included photos. One of them you will see the body molding and if you look closely you can see a rust line on the paint coming from it. 88865221 - GM/AC Delco Vinyl, Rubber and Tire Dressing - 16 oz. This product is an interior and exterior vinyl, rubber, tire and plastic cleaner, conditioner, and protectant. The product is a non-greasy, premium conditioner that provides outstanding long lasting shine and protection to all tire, rubber, vinyl, and leather surfaces. The products water based formula leaves surfaces shiny, protected and dry-to-the touch. The rich pH balanced conditioning formula penetrates beyond the surface to help rejuvenate and maintain pliability and integrity of the covering. It is specially formulated with ultraviolet blocking agents to help keep surfaces from cracking, fading and hardening, defending them against the harmful rays of the sun.Chevy reps and employees have been extremely rude and arrogant towards me. I cannot get my truck fixed with the 2500 dollar warranty I bought from Chevy since the dealerships throw a fuss about warranty work and dont seem to like to do so. This ACDelco tire dressing did not prevent or help prevent my dash from cracking nor keep my running boards from fading to grey. This truck seems to have some sort of electrical problem and I dont trust driving it anymore. I do not recommend paying 50,000 for this truck. Well since the car was under 2 years old I’ve been spending thousands of dollars and 1 part breaks every year for the last 3 years and GM refuses to do anything about it. They told me it’s cover, well the part is covered. Still that’s $55 but the labor is not which is over $400 dollars. I’ve took my car in the shop because it continuously jerks. I spent about $1400 2 shop visit plus a new purge valve which they only charge me for the part because they missed it. (This is also the same valve that has broke for 3 years straight) But they said that’s why the car was still jerking. The valve was missing. But got it home it was doing the same thing but worst so I personally called GM to do something about their brand of car. Do you think they did anything? NO they direct me back to pay another Chevy dealership $160 for another diagnosis. I will never in my life support this business and I will make sure to tell all my family and friends to never buy a Chevy.

My husband and I purchased this vehicle after a car accident totalled our other one. Bought this car used and began noticing issues. We have had to replace the torque sensor which was $600 alone. Many Chevy vehicles were recalled for this issue. Today I get a letter in the mail telling me that the side impact airbag was recalled. But heres the catch, they will only replace it free of charge if its under 150,000 miles. The vehicle was over that when we bought the car! Airbag light has been on for some time now... I tried calling Chevy customer service and got nowhere. They asked me repeatedly what the letter said. So after reading it to them 4 times and being told there was no issue, yet Im holding the letter in my hands that I just opened. I hung up. This by far has been my worst car owning experience ever! I feel that there should be something in place for people that are buying these cars used, my safety is just as important as that of someone purchasing a brand new Chevy vehicle!

I was able to buy a brand new Chevy truck with several upgrades with a 12k sale in effect, allowing me to turn my negative equity in a horrible diesel jeep into my truck loan and walk away with a great rig that fits the whole family, hauls the hay, handles amazingly in the snow with seat and steering wheel heaters for the frigid Central Oregon Winters. Great hauler on the camping trips with camper in tow. Its sporty and tough and at sale price came in at only 36k. Amazing deal, amazing dealership at Chevy of Bend. Love my truck.

The battery is located in the trunk of the car. I show up to work and I smell burning wires. Thats the smell I smell inside the car. I opened my door and I see smoke coming out of the cracks of my trunk I freak out, I popped my trunk open and see theres a fire inside my trunk. The day prior I was working on a vehicle so I had my toolbox, a brand new can of carb cleaner in my trunk where tools should go. Well the can had hit the battery terminals and my toolbox managed to find its way on top of the can causing the spark and the contents inside the can obviously kept the flame going caught the toolbox on fire. Thank God nobody was hurt but thats a poor design. If youre going to put a battery in a trunk as a maker of a car put it in a contained area. A box of some sort. Protect the battery from anything a person may put in their trunk. Or even have another area for storage space for your tools, jumper cables, tow rope things like that keep the battery separated from anything that could be hazardous. That should only be common sense.

Im not a fan of it (Chevy 1500 Van). The vehicle was said to be in much better condition than it is. It was being sold by a family member and so we thought they would be honest about the condition of the vehicle. It breaks down too easily and has been in the shop several times this year. The only thing that I like about the vehicle is that it is big enough to accommodate my family. However, I would honestly overhaul the entire thing. The upholstery is garbage, the engine is hard to work on because of how built. I have never had a vehicle break on me the way this one had.

If anyone thinking about buying a Chevy, maybe you should give it a second thought. My radio quit, been trying, for a month, to buy a new one. Now before you get ahead of me you have to know that a radio is no longer just a radio. My radio (Chevy Sonic) makes all the noises for signal lights, seat belt chime, door ajar, oil pressure, overheat, stop engine, keys left in ignition and maybe some stuff I dont know about. You set all the stuff the car does: Rear wiper, lights on when leave and a dozen other stuff. ALL OF THE ABOVE NO LONGER WORKS. 3 years old and I cannot buy a radio, dont have them, farmed out to another company, back ordered for??? Called a US dealer (just across from me). He said last time he ordered one of them took 6 months. Thought I would buy used, cant. They are tied to your VIN number. Oh, and by the way, the price installed (they have to install, gotta use GM computer) has varied from $1300.00 to $617.50. But because I cannot buy one have not spent any money. DOES GM care, nope, they just tell you the dealer (not you of course) must order and wait. IMPRESSIVE HUH!

My Dad worked for GM for over 30 plus years on the line and other departments in the Ohio plant so with total shock pulling into his retirement home in FL 2 yrs ago. We see a Hyundai SUV parked in the driveway. After 10 mins of dogging him out about it. His came back with what most of you suspect. With demand for trucks and SUVs rising year after year GM has gone to cheaper parts in drive train and once damn good engines 200k without a problem. At the same time prices keep going up for some plastic bling that hides the crap underneath. I myself have been a chevy guy for over 40 yrs and many good cars and truck over the years... But no longer!!! Next truck end of this year will be a Tundra Ford and Dodge have problems of their own. For what is worth the Hyundai now has over 100k with zero problems in FL heat and traffic... Would I buy one? NO...Well maybe the genesis v8 425hp.

Its a full size truck that we are able to haul the materials we need for home repairs, to use for work, and it also has the full back seat and third door so we can take the grandchildren to the park or out to eat. A good benefit when you only have one vehicle to use in your home. I wish it has a fourth door for when you are in a hurry, like when it might be raining and you need to get the children in the house quickly and they are trying to get out at the same time or when you have groceries that need to be brought in then and cant wait. And also, have a little more leg room. Other than that, its a good vehicle that serves me well

I purchased a brand new Corvette SR in June of 2019. This is a body style that has been in production for 5 years. In September, my car was hit and required body work including a headlight. I found a body shop at a dealership and confirmed all parts were available for the repair. After confirming this, the car arrived at the shop less than 3 hours later on Oct 3. The service adviser committed completion by Oct 23. I got my car a month later (11/22) due to the headlight availability. All along, NO information was available until about a week prior to completion indicating The order (Headlight) was being processed Whatever that means. Once the headlight did arrive, the car was ready for pickup within two days. When a virtually new car is tied up for a month for something that is totally within Chevrolets control, they need to accept responsibility. Here is where they broke down in this long story. 1) Parts availability information is inaccurate. The parts manager can see inventory available but when he goes to request it, the item is reserved. Visibility of a reserve is a very basic inventory function. 2) Delivery - When a backorder does occur, available to promise showing an anticipated delivery should be the norm rather than leaving a customer guessing. 3) Allocation - They would move parts to build new cars before covering service requirements. Does this make sense? Build a new car knowing full well you cannot keep it roadworthy due to material shortages.4) Customer Service - I called in my complaint on 11/21. I have had multiple contacts since then til now 12/3. Today they called and left no message. Three minutes later I get an email indicating they have been unable to contact me. I called back less than an hour later and left a message. No replay as of this writing. They simply try to wear you down rather than step up and take responsibility for a problem of their creation.I absolutely cannot recommend Chevrolet as a go to source for a luxury or performance vehicle until they are prepared to manage the supply chain better in both supply and information. And provide a customer service department that actually is expected and empowered to do something about these problems.

I currently have a 2004 Silverado 1500, a dream of many years. Aside from the general maintenance of any vehicle (breaks and the likes) this truck is AMAZING! I give, as an example: about a year ago, I was about 50 miles from home when the coolant line sprung a leak! Id noticed a small puddle under the vehicle when I came out of the store where Id been shopping, but thought it was condensation. On the drive back, through some rather rural area, I noticed a slight increase on the temperature gauge so I drove with care not to over-exert the engine. Taking the truck immediately to the mechanic, they opened the reservoir for the coolant to find it completely dry! Repairs were made and subsequently I learned that these vehicles have a protection against over-heating! It saved my day, my purchases, my sanity, to be sure. This truck, even at its age, has been a blessing, helping me move house, hauling brush and wood, its amazing in snow, and I live in a mountainous region in Northern New York state where Winters can be quite brutal. As for the rating given about the cost, quite honestly, I find the cost of motor vehicles these days to be rather unreasonable over all. But even for the basic Silverado, I would say, considering the peace of mind and safety, Ive experienced with mine, the price is reasonable. Could be better (lower of course), but as is: perfectly reasonable. I recommend the model to everybody, even those who think trucks are out of their personal style. Drive one, youll be stuck forever.

Being a Chevy family for years I am very disappointed to find out that they hide problems with their vehicles from their customers. They can send out flyers to purchase new car mats or upgrades for cars, yet when a part is bad on their vehicles are bad. On our Trax our pvc valve cover went bad and Chevy had known that on the 2013-2017 Trax, Sonic and Cruise this part had been malfunctioning. It would have been under warranty from my dealership had I know when I was home to take it in.My warranty is not valid anywhere but there. Of course they never told me that either. My family decided to see our son who is in the Army 3.5 hours from our home. Car was not covered. We were stranded for 3 days because the strike caused a lack of parts throughout the country. Dealerships were closed because it was a weekend so we went to a Pep Boys. Chevy acknowledges this is an issue but refuse to reimburse me because I didnt go to a dealership in the town we were stranded in. Which by the way couldnt find the part we needed a Kia dealer had to find it! We will be trading in our Chevys by the end of the year and getting a different brand who believes in customer service not just making a buck!

Re: Chevy Trax. The first year this model came out, it had a few glitches, but still was fun to drive, easy to park, not too bad on gas mileage and had enough space for a small SUV. Having had a decent experience with my first Trax, I opted to re-lease again. The newer Trax still has a few glitches and not too many upgrades. Still, its a good, solid, dependable little vehicle. In my opinion, the price could be lower since there arent too many extras included, just enough to not think youre driving a low-end vehicle. So I just bought a 97 Chevy Lumina with about 86,000 miles on it and my ** made the mistake of mixing the original red coolant with the standard green coolant you get literally everywhere. Now my coolant is the outside weather and I have to drain that crap out and replace it with the green stuff since it is apparently safer than what the manufacturer provides. Bit of a miracle that I got a 97 Lumina under a hundred thousand miles in 2019 so Im not going to destroy it with bad coolant. With the mixture, the car now raises its temperature rapidly at a stoplight and Im going to have to drain that stuff before Winters end. Fortunately the temperature quickly goes back to normal once the car moves.

I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado brand new. The touch screen radio quit working. Doesnt respond to touch. Also it does things on its own like blaring the radio full blast, calling people tick tick tick pushing its own buttons. Its caused me a few times a severe scare almost driving off the road because out of nowhere the Radio goes full blast!!! I only have 36,000 miles on it and warranty is over. How convenient. The transmission from day one slips, seems like its not going to shift and hard shifts enough to jolt ya! I am really upset with this vehicle. Ive learned my uncle has a 2016 Z style Colorado and his is doing the same exact thing. My cousins Impala radio does the same thing. It doesnt work! There should be a recall on these items and I cant understand why there isnt yet. What do we as owners have to do?

I loved the style of the car. The Chevrolet Cavalier was an older car, but it was a great little car. It got great gas mileage, Air conditioning and FM Radio and it was just the right size car for me. It looked like a sports car, but with a 4 cylinder engine, and had all the features that I needed in a car. It had a roomy trunk for groceries and enough room in the back seat but I would have liked to have a little more room in there for the passengers.

I had an experience at a Chevrolet Dealership this past Friday morning 12/9/2016 at around 8 am that I have never had in my life. I was floored by the way I was treated. On my way to Jacksonville FL from Lagrange, Ga my car began to hesitate and sputter. I was in the middle of nowhere and it was still dark outside. I was 24 miles from the nearest town and Chevy dealership. I putted into that town and made it to the Chevy dealership service department. I went in and told them that I have a 2002 Chevy Prizm with 240,000 miles and its hesitating and sputtering when I accelerate. The service writer looked at his coworker at the desk beside him and they laughed. He looks at me and says your car is too old and has too many miles so we cannot even look at it. I said you cant even look at it? He said we wont look at it. He then gave me a card of a 3rd party mechanic in town and told me that the guy there should be able to take care of it for me. I have had this vehicle for 14 years and have been a Chevy customer for 14 years. I have never before experienced anything like this. What can be done?

Love the roomy cargo area in my 2006 HHR, and the way the back seats fold down flat. My car has 185,000 miles on it and the engine still runs strong and quiet. On the minus side of the ledger is the lousy service from Chevy mechanics. Its not unusual to have to bring the car back two or three times to fix the same thing. Each time, they try to charge me again.

Ive had it for 2 1/2 years and it hasnt needed any maintenance other than the standard stuff. It still looks and feels brand new! It was love at first sight with this car. I love the lines because they give the vehicle a classy yet sporty look. The hatchback is wonderful when it comes to loading, and since its covered, my stuff is protected from the sun AND the thieves! While Im happy with it, I would like a bigger console storage compartment. Also, the USB plug-in is inside the glovebox, which doesnt work well for someone like me who keeps my phone charging at all times. It doesnt look pretty with that wire sticking out of my dashboard.

This is a great car but the overall experience is marred by some petty greed. The car comes with the ability to remote start; check battery, location, lock unlock; etc. This all comes with a internet connection through AT&T. They want between $180 to $420 per year to keep this service active. Thats absurd. My Ford provides these services free of charge. I understand that OnStar operators need to be paid but I am talking about basic tech services here. Is my car charged? When was it last driven? etc. I would love all that OnStar has to offer but I am unwilling to pay for it. Why cant Chevy provide basic informational services like Ford does for free?

I love my Chevy Silverado 4x4 truck. I am a realtor and it is so comfortable when I go to show houses. Does not matter if I am driving in the city or highway, no more back pain at all. This full-size truck has spacious interior and exterior and strong V8 engines. I think the Silverado has a nicer interior and it also rates slightly better for reliability than other trucks. It is very quiet and rides great. Nice tight ride and handling. The biggest change for me is the mileage. Real-world driving city and highway on the very first tank 17.5 mpg. The best so far was 21.8! I will never look at another truck again, I am a Chevy girl for life!!!!

It could be a little easier on gas compared to what I am used to. But it is getting better as it gets broke in.

Bought a 3500 diesel. Was told motor and tranny would last forever, after 3000 miles brakes wore out on a Saturday. Replaced brakes and rotors with aftermarket on Saturday night so I had a vehicle for the weekend, went to dealer on Monday morning and was told brakes were not warrantied, Brakes should last longer than 3000 miles so there was obviously something wrong. Was told to get the ** out and to go to the dealer where the vehicle was purchased. Went to original dealer and was told nothing was wrong. At 40000 miles motor started to knock. Was told it was a sensor. Replaced sensor. Still same knock. They finally take my truck in and admit the motor was bad. Gave me a loaner for a month then called to tell me they needed their loaner back because it was sold as I was rudely yelled at by general manager and was told that loaners were for a few days not for a month. They did not have a loaner to replace it so Chevy corporate told me they would send me a refund if I had rented a truck. Needless to say they took 3 months to fix my truck and after six months and numerous phone calls still have not received any money from them. Was a dedicated chevy truck guy until this whole fiasco. Never again. Truck is a complete junior $65000.

She had seen and advertisement in the paper and wanted to go look at it. After test driving it, she asked me how I liked it, then she bought it. However, I dont like the fact that it is made in Canada, should have been made here in the USA. I also dont like having to reset the clock when daylight savings time goes into effect. My Chevy Astro was a customized conversion van that I wanted to be able to use if and when I went weekend camping. It was perfect van for myself and my children. It was easy to clean, especially since it had its own built in dust buster that you plugged into in the back and could just run off the regular car battery. The van had a TV in the back with ear phones, a separate radio/cassette tape player with & w/out headphones, first aid kit, Kleenex box, cooler, bed in back that went down with the push of a button, fancy lighting in back, shades that pulled down in the back & sides & had the high top. Its just that the tires were an odd size that always needed special ordering so they were always more expensive. Also, I would have liked better gas mileage. The Astro wasnt a very comfortable traveling van for long trips but it was comfortable and roomy for everything. Wish I hadnt sold it.

It was a very dissatisfying experience at Kingdom Chevrolet in Chicago, IL. A 2018 Chevy Camaro 1LT was advertised as $17,695 on their website and seeing that I called Kingdom Chevy and confirmed the car availability and price. They were affirmative for both. I traveled all the way to their place for 2 hours and met the representative and he said there wont be any changes in the price and $17,695 is the final price plus TTL. We did the test drive and because the price was confirmed, I accepted for their credit run to know the APR that I will receive though I have an offer from bank. I gave all the confidential information and they ran my credit check. Now the manager comes and say, the price on the website was including some rebates and he can offer the car for $25500. Manager started asking me if I am in military or a student or a teacher, etc. How could a customer browsing through the internet know if rebates are applied or not. I was thinking $17,695 is a right price as 2019 models are already on the roads and they are trying to get rid of 2018 models and hence the price. I do not have concern on Chevrolet brand but the dealership is fooling the customers with false prices on their website.

I come from a family that prided itself on owning Chevrolet trucks – trucks that ran for 200K+ miles. That came to an end for me today. I own a 2016 Suburban LT thats used as our primary family vehicle. At just over 64K miles, the car started to show signs of a delayed shifting between P, R, and D. It would hesitate and then jump into gear. The vehicle would also shake when on the highway and shifting between gears. The dealer first suggested re-programming the transmission and a fluid flush at a cost of $700, but the symptoms persisted. Upon further investigation by the transmission technician, I was presented with a price of $7,000 to replace the transmission with a remanufactured one.Visibly frustrated, the dealer suggested that I could approach GM about cost sharing of the repair, but only after performing a tear down of the transmission which was another $1,500. The dealer suggested that they needed to tear down the transmission so that they could identify precisely what went wrong and then report back to GM via a software application (not person to person interaction). Also, how convenient for GM and the dealer to have my vehicle taken apart before presenting me with a cost sharing proposal. GM already knows that the transmission needs to be replaced - and after its replaced, the broken transmission is sent back to GM to be remanufactured and sold to another dissatisfied customer whose transmission has failed because of poor mechanical craftsmanship. After several conversations with GMs Sr. Advisor and a Supervisor, which knew very little about transmissions or repairs in general, I was told that they would not consider any cost sharing until the tear down was performed - and it was my full responsibility to pay the $1,500 for tear down. So, before even knowing the full cost of repairing the vehicle, I need to pay $2,200? GM doesnt need the transmission torn down to address my issue. The Sr. Advisor and Supervisor should have had autonomy to escalate and do what’s right – which is be highly empathetic; own the mechanical flaw in craftsmanship; problem solve with me; and tell me that they’ll pay a certain percentage of the total repair cost to replace the transmission with one that’s been remanufactured. But, they didn’t do that; they didn’t stand by their product or their customer commitment. To me, it’s disgusting to see on GM’s website that they pride themselves on ensuring an exceptional ownership experience”. It’s a poor product and terrible company – that’s why they reduced the power train warranty from 100K in 2015 to 60K in 2016 – and have a class action lawsuit against them on the Yukon XL (not sure why Suburban is not on here, but will investigate). Ford may not be any better, but that’s where I’m headed – and that never would have happened had GM stood by their craftsmanship issue and done everything that they could have to satisfy me as a customer.

Ive been driving trucks for 15 years and the last 9 Ive had a GMC. I loved that truck and when the transmission started to go I decided to buy a new Chevrolet. I decided to buy a Chevy. The truck was dropped of to me by someone at the dealership and had 300 miles on it most of witch from the drive to my house. From the moment I took my first drive (after I already owned it) it was shaking. It always shakes but sometimes its really bad and dangerous. I told the dealership right away and they fed me a lot of lies. They 100% agree its shaking but wont fix it or do anything for me. They changed my tires and my truck drove worse than before. I filed 2 claims with Chevy. One asking for a buy back and they denied my claim. Also one for some kind of trade assistance and they offered me $1,500.00. This truck has had other issues since I got it. The check engine light has come on twice and had to be turned off by the dealer. Also the steering wheel tilts to the left even after being aligned multiple times. I would not suggest buying a Chevy. Not only are they not good quality. Chevy does not stand by their products and warrantys. This had been a terrible experience and its nowhere near over.
