2026 Audi SQ5

Find big savings on Audi Automobile(s) at Auto Helpers. Low Prices.

The 2026 Audi SQ5 is a performance-leaning variant of Audi’s popular Q5 SUV. It offers a compelling blend of athletic driving dynamics, refined luxury, and everyday practicality. Positioned above the standard Q5 but below the more extreme RS models, the SQ5 strikes a balance between sporty performance and daily-usable comfort, appealing to drivers who want a bit more excitement without sacrificing space, technology, or refinement.

The SQ5 is well-suited to buyers who enjoy spirited driving, value confident handling in varied conditions, and still need the versatility of a compact luxury SUV.

Design & Exterior Identity

The exterior of the 2026 SQ5 signals sportiness while maintaining Audi’s refined SUV aesthetic:

Sportier fascia: A more aggressive front bumper and larger air intakes differentiate it from non-S models.

Athletic stance: Slightly lowered suspension and wider track give a planted, dynamic appearance.

Distinctive details: Subtle performance accents and sport-specific trim cues provide visual distinction without overstatement.

Premium presence: Clean lines and modern lighting elements reflect Audi’s contemporary design language.

The SQ5 looks purposeful on the road — clearly more athletic than the standard Q5 but still elegant and premium.

Powertrain & Performance

The 2026 SQ5’s performance profile centers on a tuned engine and drivetrain that enhance responsiveness and acceleration:

Turbocharged engine: A performance-tuned four-cylinder engine delivers brisk acceleration and strong midrange torque, making the SQ5 feel quick in everyday driving and confident on highways.

Automatic transmission: A smooth-shifting automatic gearbox works with the engine to provide seamless responses and efficient cruising.

Quattro all-wheel drive: Audi’s renowned all-wheel drive system enhances traction and stability in a variety of road conditions — from dry pavement to rain-soaked surfaces.

Together, this powertrain and drivetrain create a responsive, enthusiastic driving experience that sits comfortably between comfort-leaning SUVs and outright sports SUVs.

Driving Dynamics & Handling

The SQ5’s driving dynamics are tuned to offer engaging handling without sacrificing comfort:

Sport-tuned suspension: Suspension is firm enough to reduce body roll and feel responsive in corners while still providing compliant behavior over rough surfaces.

Precise steering: Steering feedback and response are calibrated to give the driver confidence and control during dynamic driving.

All-weather confidence: The performance-oriented all-wheel drive system helps maintain grip and composure in adverse weather.

Balanced ride: The chassis balances ride quality and handling, making the SQ5 capable in both city traffic and curvy back roads.

The SQ5’s dynamics are designed to be fun without being harsh or uncomfortable.

Interior Comfort & Technology

Inside, the 2026 Audi SQ5 continues the premium experience Audi is known for:

Supportive sport seats: Enhanced bolstering helps hold occupants in place during spirited driving, yet remains comfortable for daily use and long journeys.

Premium materials: Soft-touch surfaces, refined upholstery, and thoughtful trim selections create a welcoming, upscale cabin environment.

Driver-oriented layout: Controls and interfaces are positioned intuitively for ease of use and minimal distraction.

Infotainment & connectivity: A central touchscreen and digital driver display handle navigation, media, driving information, and connectivity features with modern responsiveness, including seamless smartphone integration.

The interior blends comfort, luxury, and everyday practicality.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The 2026 SQ5 includes a suite of safety and convenience systems designed to support confident driving:

Adaptive cruise control: Helps maintain a consistent speed and safe following distance during highway travel.

Lane-keeping assistance: Supports stability on longer drives and helps reduce driver workload.

Automatic emergency braking: Adds a layer of mitigation in sudden slow-down situations.

Blind-spot monitoring: Enhances awareness during lane changes and in traffic.

Safety systems are calibrated to assist smoothly while allowing driver engagement.

Strengths of the 2026 Audi SQ5

Sporty performance: Turbocharged engine and tuning deliver brisk acceleration and engaging driving feel.

Balanced handling: Sport-oriented chassis and steering provide confidence without sacrificing everyday comfort.

Premium interior: Quality materials and modern tech features create a refined cabin.

Versatile usability: SUV practicality with cargo space and comfortable seating for passengers.

All-weather capability: Performance-oriented all-wheel drive enhances traction in varied conditions.

Trade-offs & Considerations

Ride firmness: Sport-tuned suspension may feel firmer than standard SUVs over rough roads.

Fuel use: The performance emphasis results in somewhat higher fuel usage compared with non-sport models.

Cargo space vs larger SUVs: While practical for its class, it will have less cargo room than larger three-row SUVs.

Not a full sports SUV: While quicker and sharper than the base Q5, it’s less extreme than RS variants.

Who the 2026 Audi SQ5 Is Best For

The 2026 Audi SQ5 is ideal for drivers who:

Want sportier performance and handling in a premium compact SUV.

Value the balance between daily comfort and dynamic driving.

Appreciate refined interior materials and modern technology.

Prefer all-weather traction and confidence from a performance-oriented all-wheel drive system.

Seek a vehicle that performs well in both city environments and spirited driving scenarios.

Bottom Line

The 2026 Audi SQ5 delivers a compelling blend of performance, practicality, and premium refinement. It brings more power and agile handling to the Q5 platform, creating an SUV that’s fun to drive yet still comfortable and versatile for everyday life. With supportive sport seats, advanced technology, and confident all-wheel drive, the SQ5 stands out as one of the most engaging compact luxury SUVs — perfect for drivers who want excitement without giving up comfort or utility.

My daughter had a massive failure of her 2012 Audi Q5. Audi of America and Audi of Beaverton provided a level of service which was nowhere near Audi professions of excellence. Past positive experiences were outweighed by Audis overwhelming unwillingness to acknowledge its problem. Audi Beaverton tried to address the problem, but, without consensus of Audi USA, was limited in what it could offer. Furthermore, Audi Beaverton gave conflicting information to us and Audi USA. In effect, Audi USA claimed that Audi Beaverton blamed my daughter, and Audi Beaverton said that Audi USA wouldnt address the problem.

2015 Audi A4 brakes are an embarrassment. Brakes squeak when cold or wet, not a little but enough to turn heads at stop signs and in parking garages. The dealers recommendation was to drive down the freeway at 65 or 70 mph and stomp on them engage the ABS. Great, safe advice - thanks Audi. Im glad to see that Audi has known about the issue dating back to (at least) 2012 from owner experience blogs - but pay their customers the same lip service in 2016 as they did four years ago were aware and were working on a solution. So much for Truth in Engineering.

I bought a ex demonstrator Audi A6. To be fair its a beautiful car in every way. Its the third Audi I have had after switching from BMW. My car broke down over three weeks ago and had to be recovered to an Audi dealer for diagnosis of fault. They told me a few days later that the battery had failed and that batteries for Audi Cars were on back order... We are into week 4 now and No sign of battery! The dealer eventually put me into a new Q5 but it simply is not the same car or of the standard that my car is but it has kept me on the road. Now you only find out how good a company is when they have to resolve a problem and Audi UK customer service is hit and miss, my first contact was excellent, but the second when I complained why my car was still not rectified could not give a hoot! In fact the belligerent attitude of the lady dealing with update was very dismissive. Someone employed by a top brand to help was totally unhelpful. Anyway the issue here is my car has been with Audi for over 4 weeks now and there is no end in sight, I feel sorry for the dealer as this is a AUDI UK problem and I hear that a bad batch of batteries might be the reason. So think on when you walk into the showroom and they are wow-ing you they are only as good as the time when they have to sort out a problem. I suppose the other side of this issue is that its made me look at another brand and I will test driving their car tomorrow and Audi will probably lose me and those I come into contact with...what a shame.

For many months I’ve had issues with the Audi website. Trying to pay my car payment online is a hassle and becomes a giant waste of time each month. The online financial services portal on their website always has issues and makes it impossible to make your payment online without calling customer service. When you try to get a hold of anyone through the phone whether it’s Audi or Audi Financial there’s an extremely long hold time, and if you take advantage of the “call back” option they have you may be able to get a call back days or even weeks later in some of my personal experiences. As I’m writing this review this issue still has not been resolved. If you are looking to finance your vehicle through Audi Financial, or care about having a good customer service experience I would highly suggest you rethink choosing Audi. So far I have enjoyed my vehicle and haven’t had any issues as a first time Audi owner, but this customer service experience will definitely be a huge part of any future decision I may make about purchasing a vehicle through Audi. Customer service and online ease of use go hand in hand with a quality vehicle, especially when it’s a luxury brand.

I have a 2015 Audi A5, with 26400 miles on it. I purchased the car with 11,000 miles on it in April. I began experiencing a LOUD brake squeaking 2 weeks ago. It squeaks when I lightly apply the brakes. The service department at Audi told me that the brake pads only had 10% wear so its Not the Pads. They then told me that I would need to drive about 60 mph or FASTER, then apply the brakes... I am NOT going to try this dangerous and potentially deadly act.I think that there is a design issue that must be addressed. I have owned probably 12 cars in my life and NEVER has this happened with no answer. The lemon law in Illinois is quite clear and I actually received a new car because of this law. I am sure there are other owners that has the same issues... We must start writing to Audi and people who can help... This must get resolved. Im ready to drive the car to the dealer and leave it there until its resolved. I know that this is a non warranty issue but there is an obvious defect.

Having decided on the new Audi A3, the experience was marred by a sales professional who repeatedly did not return calls and told me make sure I rated him as extremely satisfied when he only had to take down my order details. The first years servicing was included in the price but we were still charged for it and only after 4 attempts was this resolved. The services manager never called back the first time and the 2nd and 3rd times promised to do refund the charge but didnt. It was only when we escalated the issue that we were refunded. Totally inconsistent with Audis brand. Not buying an Audi again.

Audi Q7 3.0 TDI S-line - First my radio went off. A week later my MMI went down. Took it into an auto electric place that said there was an amp that they need to order but I could take my car back, but I wouldnt have any MMI. While driving the car and just leaving the motor way I thought the brakes had failed, then realized the engine had cut out. After 6 hours with my wife and my daughter a recovery truck turn up. We eventually got it back to a local Garage to be told the engine had seized. After phoning around different Audi approved dealers and told Q7 engines are bullet proof. I paid to have my car collected and taken to an Audi garage, to be told after 2 weeks and a new battery that my engine was in deed knackered!!! Insurance won’t cover this… Audi do not want to Know, so I am left paying for a crap pos that now worthless and will cost thousands to repair. Seem I’m not the only one to suffer the fate of the Q7. It’s a 2007 with 82k of mileage. Is this what Audi call Vorsprung Technik… What a load of crap!!!!

Quattro is the wagon 4.2 liter inline six cylinder all wheel drive dream car I own. I wanted a sportscar with room for all the kids and cargo. This is a wagon thats an Audi! Two thumbs... only Porsche has anything close to its class (in my eyes). I find my car incredibly beautiful with a sporty look and room for everyone. Lots of horse power to the wheels and luxury everything inside. I did get upgraded rim size and style and performance in the stock rims. They actually got me a set of official 19 inch Audi touring race car rims, so I didnt mind the great but overpriced touring sport tires they sold me when they got in.

We bought a CPO 2011 Q5 from a dealer in Chicago. As we were driving it home to Ohio, I noticed that one headlight was brighter than the other. Long story short, it turns out that it had been in an accident. The dealer refused to let us return it, or have it fixed at their cost. My dream car turned into my worst nightmare. Audi customer service is by far and away the worst I have ever dealt with. On top of that my car guzzles oil (about a quart every 300 miles or so), and Im still living the nightmare of trying to have it fixed under the pending lawsuit against Audi. I would NEVER buy another Audi again.

I own a 2015 AUDI A4. I have enjoyed the car and like the ride very much. However, after a little more than 4 years since I bought the car new, there is a severe problem with the air conditioning system. Since I live in South Florida, its essential that this works. The AC evaporator failed and needs replacement. The cost quoted me by AUDI in Naples to repair this was $4740 plus tax. Most of this cost is due to labor since it is extremely difficult to replace. The service tech explained to me that the part itself is a little over $1000, the rest is labor cost. This charge to me is due to poor quality on the part of AUDI. This part should not have failed after only 4 years. In addition, the car is poorly designed if it takes a skilled AUDI mechanic so many hours to repair. The tech said that the entire dash needs to be removed. Im very dissatisfied. Im not about to pay this much. What will fail next and and what price to repair it? I will have to get rid of this car since it is useless after less than 5 years. Needless to say I will not be buying an AUDI to replace it.

I have a 2005 Audi A6 3.2. It has 102,000 mi. I jumped in the car to go to work and it would not start. Turned the key, steering was locked, gear shifter was locked, only the MMI was working. Had it towed to the Audi dealer and they told me the ignition switch was bad. $881 later and $375 for the tow, I was back running. 3 weeks to the day after, the same thing happened. Same symptoms. Towed back to the dealer and now its the Access Control Module. This means the whole steering column needs to be replaced. Quoted $1700 plus another $375 tow.Heres the good stuff now: prior to sending the car the first time to Audi, I did my research. There is thousands of Audi owner complaints about the same problem with the same symptoms. I told the service guy this and he told me they would check it out. They assured me it was the key switch which was not letting the key communicate with the steering column module. Now this time it is diagnosed with what thousands other have felt with. Audi USA is just telling me to suck it up. They know there was a problem when back in 2009 when they released TSB related to the exact problem. The fix was to replace with a newer updated Steering Column Module.Audi will not help me at all. $50,000 car and they dont stand behind it. Toyota stepped up a few times and did the right thing. It cost them some money but they gained many more new customers. Everybody do yourself a favor and dont buy an Audi. They dont care about the customer, only themselves. Its evident, they knew about a problem and are doing nothing about it. Like back in 2011, they knew about CVT transmission problems. But a federal judge ruled that Audi tried to conceal it from customers. Please dont make the same mistake I did.

My 5 year old Audi A5 with 54,000 miles needs a new engine due to Audi having fitted a faulty cam shaft adjuster and faulty piston rings. I was getting 200 miles to a litre of oil and the top of the engine being starved of oil due to the faulty cam shaft adjuster. My cars worth £11000 approx. The engine replacement is almost £12000. Having contacted customer services who said theyll try and help with the costs and have now said they wont. The dealer has managed to reduce the cost to £10,250. Im convinced its due to the above mentioned fault recall code 15d6. Im told you cant determine when that engine was made to clarify this. I just thought Id be shown a bit more goodwill as the cars only 5 years old.

I have been a customer of Mercedes for many years and decided this time to buy an Audi as I have a big dog that likes to travel with me so I tried the Q5. The car itself is fine but the service and follow up from Audi is horrific. The GPS system has never worked on the car, the maps are all outdated. When I called to get it updated I was told it would cost $795! to fix something that never worked on a brand new car! The same for spare keys (if you happen to loose a set) - $600 to replace! There is never a loaner car when the car goes in for scheduled maintenance and the staff (Audi in Osborne Park, Western Australia) are abrupt and apathetic. I will never buy another Audi in my life - back to Mercedes for us next time.

Ours is the second Audi convertible weve had, and the engineering is top notch. And service has been excellent also, so I can see it could be bewildering for some people like me to come across these horror stories. However, Ive always been concerned about the what if something breaks? aspect. Especially with a cloth roof! Well, I hated to let the last Audi convertible go (it was a gorgeous amulet red). But I was afraid of the cost of repair, if something did go wrong, so Im somewhat consoled by these stories (sorry, folks).Anyhow, we had the first convertible, an A4, for 6 years and there were no problems after they fixed a squeaky speaker soon after we took ownership. Otherwise, I remember the only issue was one side of the glove box, where the plastic hinge ripped a little, so it was hard to close properly. As for the A5 weve had now almost 4 years, the battery failed and they replaced it under the warranty (phew, beat the expiration date... that things around $300!). Also, the transmission seemed to jerk through gears, and they did spend 3 days (!) repairing that under warranty. The only other oddity is a silly thing... the black button that resets the trip meter... its lost or peeled its paint and looks an ugly white. Ill definitely get that fixed soon before its done 50,000 miles! So, to sum up, these cars have been excellent to drive (note that were spoiled after having had a Sebring convertible previously). I am concerned about the transmission not being as smooth as that in a new Honda Ridgeline we bought last year. So I predict well keep the Audi up to two years more but next time, I think well LEASE the next Audi or maybe even a BMW.

My family has owned 6 VWs and Audis. The A4s were flawless, and the Tiguans worked well. The 2010 Q5 had mechanical and component issues and the new 2014 Q5 is getting gas mileage 10-20% below EPA sticker. Our overall mileage average is 10% below the city EPA value even though we live in the suburbs of Boston, and rarely drive into the city. I believe it is costing me $300-400 more per year in fuel. Audi says the car is operating within specification but I know what my mileage reading are. The Audi customer service people were professional when they delivered a finding I did not agree with. Otherwise the car works as promised. Have other readers had poor gas mileage???

Audi ULTRA S-TRNC Gearbox FAILS weeks out of warranty on 38 month old A6. Bought an AUDI A6 Ultra S-TRNC July 2016. Have full service history with Audi. Approved garages spending over £35k, out of the blue Friday 2/09/19 heard a strange whining noise from the engine. Took it into Audi Stirling who advised Gearbox pump had failed and resulted in gearbox damage, it will cost £9117.60 to fix, neither the dealership I bought it from Audi Stirling or Audi UK all the way up to the Managing Director were interested and refused to help me. Just kept saying out of warranty. Their aftercare is appalling and when you investigate the Gearbox online the internet is littered with Ultra S-TRNC fails with no help from AUDI. Not even a warning light on the dashboard lights up no warning at all. Today I have written to WATCHDOG and to 2 national papers. Not what you expect from a leading car manufacturer!!!!

Bought a 2009 Audi S8 from Vin Devers Audi In Sylvania, OH. The service department had just completed the requires 55,000 mile service. I received the vehicle and had it scan 2 days after by my local mechanic. He found the car to have low voltage to the TB and other areas, as well as the vehicle running lean. The vehicle was accompany by a 30 day 1000 mile warranty for engine, trans and some other areas. Within 2 weeks I got a check engine light and the EPC light came on and the car will not drive above 40 MPH. Took the vehicle to my local dealer and they found wiring then was repair when the vehicle had only 10,000 miles and paid for by Audi Corp. Spoke to the Sales MGR and SVR MGR and was told there is nothing they could do. I opened a case with Audi corp and was told the same thing even though they paid for the original repair. I now have to pay to repair poor workmanship by Audi trained techs for faulty work. I will never buy another Audi and hoping everyone else will boycott their product.

I bought a brand new Audi Q3 2015 last year. Audi was my dream car before, but after buying this car I am feeling guilty of buying this car. I had a service @ one of the dealership last year. They had done wheel alignment and rebalance last year. The service was bad and when I gave the car for routine maintenance at different dealership they wanted me to pay again for rebalancing and wheel alignment. I have contacted Audi to complaint on the bad service. They took a complaint but never called me back with resolution. One of the customer care representative told me that I have to reach out directly to dealer and they wont help me in this issue. I dont understand why I need to buy a luxurious car who dont even take care of their customer concerns properly. I will never buy this car and planning to sell this car in near future. Bought a used (but looked like-new) 2004 Audi A4 1.8T. It had 82k miles on it from the previous owner of 10 years. No accidents, what could go wrong? Seemed like a diamond in the rough. Carfax said it never had major repairs done to it whatsoever. Seriously good deal right? Wrong. The dealers had left the car light on and blamed the last owner for making it a problem and having to change the battery. Dealers said theyd replace the battery before they sold it to me. Okay. Bought it, picked it up, went home. It sat there. Few days later? Dead car. Called the dealers, had them tow the car, sat in their off-the-map shop for 4 days with no communication because the mechanic was too busy and sounded annoyed the one time I tried to get in touch. It finally came home to me, only to find a scratched side mirror that wasnt there before (I have picture proof) and a check engine light. Next few days - dead again. Battery was fine, its something electrical. This is a good a time as any to mention that the car is completely automatic and locks everything. Can hardly get into the drivers side, all other doors are locked, trunk is locked, no real locks inside or key hole for truck, nope. All automatic. Huge hassle. Im getting a refund. Its more money than its worth. NEVER AGAIN.

I wish I could rate my service at ZERO stars. In brief, returned to my car at end of work day and battery was dead. Called AAA and quickly started it with a jump. Drive for 30 minutes and picked up my dog. Got back in car and battery dead again. Friendly stranger provided a jump. Started up quickly. Drove home and parked. Lights and radio automatically turned off as usual. Locked. Scheduled Audi roadside assistance for a.m. and appt at dealership. Car was again quickly jumped and started. Drive 30 minutes and dropped off at RVA Audi dealership. Got new battery but was told not covered by warranty because power left on. Pray tell how that is possible when radio AND lights are automatic???? And, even if this lie were true, the battery, if properly functioning, would be jump started, and would then be good to go. This is yet another attempt by Audi to evade responsibility for warranty coverage. 2nd time in the short 8 months I have had this car! So disappointed in how unethical this company has become. #lastaudiforthisgal

I leased a brand new car from Audi Queensway in Ontario in February 2015 because I thought Audis were awesome cars and naturally assumed the service levels would be too. After I purchased the car I found it to be noisy as if it was not sealed properly and took it back to Queensway. They looked at it several times and advised me that what Audis sounded like. I had a 20k Dodge that sounded much better. After a few more months, I was still unhappy and then took my Audi to Oakville on 03 September. I booked it in a week in advance and explained the problem. After a service person drove the car, he told me he suspected that the tire was causing this. After waiting the entire day, I called Audi to find out whats happening and was told that the tire needs replacing at my cost as its wear and tear. I explained to them ad nauseam that this was a new car and I reported this problem from the time I got this car. They werent interested nor helpful. They suggested I take it back to Queensway as its preowned. I then had to convince them that the car was bought brand new as they assumed its pre-owned. I also mentioned to them that I had purchased every possible warranty and insurance so that I do not have to have any issues.Audi Oakville was adamant that Queensway should sort out the issue. I explained that I bought an Audi and warranty and any dealer should be able to sort out the issue. After speaking ad nauseam to the service manager and admin person, no help was offered other than this is my fault and if I wanted the problem resolved, I should pay for a new tire. I was asked to pick up my vehicle (with the fault not rectified and bring it back another time). I explained that I needed my car for work and that I had taken the day off to get this service done. My wife took time off work and drove me to Audi to drop the car off. Now I also needed to get life to fetch my car. I was also given a lecture by the service manager about how my driving may have caused this issue. After explaining to him again its a new car, I discontinued my call due to his condescending nature. No loan car or hired vehicle was offered to me.I then called Audi head office to explain my dilemma. The first service person after listening to my issue then told me it will be sorted out the next business day. I told her I do not have a vehicle. She told me it was the end of her shift and could not help further. Apparently because she took the call, she could not get anyone else to assist. At 4 pm, she advised that she will arrange with Oakville to provide a hired car. We called back many times and this was not done. After many more calls to her, she had the audacity to hang up on my wife. She also advised no supervisors were available. After many more calls, another assistant directed us to a supervisor who was available named Sunny. Sunny was helpful and we then explained the entire story to him. HE advised that his boss is aware of the problem and at 6 pm last night advised that she will call me this morning.I called 4-5 times this morning and she did not answer. At 12:50 when I called again Audi head office was closed. Yes, now head office is closed and Audi Oakville who I called said my car is ready to pick up with the problem unresolved. I must pay 1500 Cad to have my wheel alignment checked and done and also pay for a new tire which they cannot do anytime soon. So here I am. Audi will not arrange for me to be fetched. I will take a taxi to fetch my car as my son starts school next week and I was asked to drive my car away from the dealership without a fault being repaired.I will advise my insurance company as I assume Audi will assume liability if anything happens due to the related problem. The service manager at Audi Queensway was helpful and has offered to look into the matter sometime next week. I was also advised that certain tires provided by Audi wears differently and this may be the issue. This was communicated by Audi Queensway and Audi Oakville. Imagine that a brand new car with less than 18000 km and I may have tires that wear easily.I spoke to my salesman who sold me the car and apparently I dont have much recourse in terms of returning my car. Ive owned Fords, BMWs, Volvos, VW etc. in the past and Ive never encountered such pathetic service. Never was I constantly given excuses of what cannot be done but rather how can they help me. I regret this purchase and wish I could cancel this transaction without financial consequence but assume now that my monies have been paid and my warranties are paid I am stuck with this vehicle. I will get rid of this car as soon as I can and will certainly go with another brand.

I love how sleek the Audi looks and I would definitely recommend it to others since it looks so good. It is one of the most beautiful cars. The passengers all fit in the car and there is even room left over for relaxing as the car is not too small. I am happy with the car size and enjoy driving in it.

I have a 2012 Q7 with 125000 on the clock. I must say this is one of the most reliable and enjoyable vehicles I have owned. It never breaks down and just requires regular maintenance. As for people complaining about noisy brakes I find this only occurs if the pads are not properly bedded. As other posters said they are unwilling to do 5 or 6 fast stops from 60 mph to 20 in succession on a deserted road. If they did this as recommended by the Audi dealer this would bed the brake pads properly. This vehicle has high performance brakes not your cheap brakes found on most cars. I am so satisfied with Audi we replaced our Volvo with another Audi. When the time comes to replace the Q7 I will be getting another Audi.

I also love the look of the cars logo. My car draws the attention of people quite often. The wheels look nice and sharp. I can always personalize my car. Id love to add turbo to make my car go super fast. I love racing others in my Audi. I can paint it if I wanted or add a better sunroof. I can fit all my friends inside. We all go on long rides. It never looks like a clown car. Theres plenty of space in the back and the front of the car. It has electronic seats to move forward and back if more room is needed. I love Audis!

I leased an Audi A6 and turned it in one month early pull ahead lease for S5. Don’t get me wrong I love the actual car but the service has been a nightmare. Charging me so much money 5 months after I turned the car in. Trying to charge for excise tax that I paid but they applied to the actual car payments. In doing so when I did pull ahead deal instead of it looking like I had a car payment left it looked like I owed excise tax. After many calls and hours of my life I’ll never get back they acted like they figured it out. I made a pay off turn in settlement for the extra miles and thought it was over. Then I get a bill for excise tax in the mail. When I try to explain to the specific department they tell me they just received this bill from my city. I called the clerks office and they told me the excise tax for the A6 was sent in April 2018 and they are trying to make me pay it in April 2019. They lied over and over and after making the previous settlement and really still trying to collect excise tax I already paid them. Now I have to spend all kinds of time trying to get this dealt with, and no one will just make good on it. I was told BMW service is phenomenal... And I honestly wish I leased with someone else. Lesson learned... Never again.

I have a 2010 Avant 4 Audi wagon that has had persistent, unresolved issues
I have a 2010 Avant 4 Audi wagon that has had persistent, unresolved issues from day one, up to the point that my car, at just 4 years old, is now mechanically failed unless a new engine is put in to the tune of $15,000. I have been meticulous with maintenance on this car. From day 1, oil consumption has been an issue - was told that it was within specs (a quart every 1,000 miles - really?) - until an oil/pressure test was performed, which my car failed. Piston/rings were replaced, which still did not ultimately resolve the issue. Lost complete power in the car while driving a highway speeds (no steering, no brakes, black dashboard - in rush hour traffic) - could have been seriously injured. Towed again to Audi, which many hundred dollars later was told the problem should be resolved, but cant guarantee the repairs. One month later, car shuts down again while driving, with alarms to turn engine off - low oil pressure. AGAIN, towed to Audi - told to replace camshaft bridge and replace oil pump (almost $2,000 MORE) - only to be told that the low oil pressure light continues to come on, and the only recommend now is to replace the engine to the tune of $12,000-$15,000. Which is ridiculous. The KBB street value is nowhere near what has been invested in repairs in this car. I was told We understand your frustration, but the only thing Audi (national) can/will offer is to double the customer loyalty discount IF I buy a NEW Audi from this dealer, and my car has little to no value without the engine. I am without a car, and cant get my car back unless I pay for the $2,000 that didnt resolve the problem. It seems reasonable to me that a car, built on performance and truth in engineering should last longer than 4 years, particularly when properly maintained as mine has been. Further, dependability in a car is an assumed concept that Audi touts in ALL their media. I would further expect BOTH Audi and the dealership to stand behind their cars, but all I get is We understand your frustration, and these issues are no fault of your own, though I have to pay for them. The service department admits that my car has a history of repairs way beyond the normal range for an Audi, but theres nothing they can, or will do. I clearly have a poorly engineered car, that cant be driven, and is virtually worthless. I CANNOT believe Audi (national as well as the dealer) wont stand behind a badly produced car, and rectify a bad situation.

Similar to other reviews, I have experienced the inability of my Audi Q5 to hold its stereo presets. Audi has said that it is an issue with Sirius XM, but I am not seeing the same issue with other makes and models. While radio presets is a small problem compared to say, engine problems, it is that Audi has been nonchalant about a feature not working at all since the time of purchase. It, along with several other service issues in which I had to be the one to get a matter taken care of, shows the lack of accountability on Audi’s part, and will be the reason that I will never purchase another Audi and will actively prevent friends and family from making the same mistake.

Audi A4 A 4.2 TDI Registration No. ** Dated 04/07/2012. Within 9 to 10 months of delivery started experiencing following problems: 1. From exhaust pipe emission of heavy smoking and some sparks. This problem was attended by Audi workshop at CST Kalina. While submitting car for above repairs also verbally report slight vibration & rubbing noises while driving. However, later part of the report was not record as the test drive inside workshop failed to reveal any problem with steering. Car was handed after dealing with exhausted Pipe smoke emission.2. Eventually after some time while taking out car from our Garage the cars steering system completely ceased and started giving indication that car steering system has failed. The car was collected by Workshop for repairs. However, we were dis-satisfied with to see such high end car having such major problems within 10 months of service. After much deliberation we were given a brand Audi A4 car without any charges. This gesture of Audi is much appreciated.3. New Audi A4 14th June, 2013 Registration No. **. Now we have started facing following problem again.A. Vibration of steering & rubbing sound while driving this was report to the CST Kalina workshop representative but the test drive inside workshop did not reveal any defect with steering. However, on my insistence to verify if the vibration was not coming or not drive the car 30-40 kms as same was not happening continuously. Repair representative agreed to my suggestion and car was left in the workshop. Later it was reported to me that they did find for short while steering vibrating & rubbing noises while driving for longer time.Workshop representative informed me the shaft is defective and same has to be changed. I was informed it will take one week to get spare shaft. Eventually it took three weeks to get the shaft and replace same. During this time no car was given to me to help me out to my day to day work. Whereas while purchasing Audi car we promised while the car is taken for service we will be provided service, we will given a car free of any charges. Now there is no vibration or rubbing noises. But the point remains why such high end car should have such problem with my 2nd car as well. This raises question is there Deficiency in Quality Control or some inherent manufacturing defect. As I have Extend Warranty the renewal of shaft was done under warranty but the point remain why I am experiencing such serious problem once again. Warranty will get over by June, 2017. What happens next if after warranty steering fails once again?By this mail I put on notice Audi India and I would to reserve the right for car to be repaired free of any charges if above mentioned major failure of steering happen sometime in future. I feel quality control is very poor as following problems will indicate: A. Cars locks failing (not operating) and for overhauling I was charged although no parts were changed. Why when the car is still under warranty? Locks failed to operate again within a week after overhauling.B. Car door mirror switch breaking and charged in spite of car under warranty. My last Car was Toyota Corolla which was with me for over seven years and never faced any of above mentioned problem whereas Audi with such good reputation giving so much problem. I doubt their Quality Control slackness and very poor manufacturing control. With this I am putting Audi India on notice for serious steering defect existing in their A4 Model.

Six months after purchasing a 2007 Audi A6 with 57k miles the steering control module required replacement. The cost to fix was $2,600. Because this obviously a result of poor engineering and not a wear and tear issue I wrote a complaint to Audi directly. Their response: We are sorry to learn of your issue however the car is not under warranty (they wont acknowledge the fact that this is a common issue as seen on many Audi forums) and because you did not buy at an Audi dealership and you are not a loyal Audi customer (1st Audi and last) we will not assist with repair. The point of my writing this is that their vehicles are over engineered and repair record and costs are absurd. Oh and dont even try to bring to someone other than an Audi dealership because they cannot work on them. And the dealerships know this full well!!! I am through with the 4 rings of death as my mechanic calls them and switching back to Lexus. Dont get taken by the looks of what I think is a great looking vehicle like I did. It is safe and others should have it to not be in danger when this is a great car for almost everywhere to drive through such as off roads, some highways, streets in neighborhoods, the roads off at the stores, also the drive thrus. I would say it has a nice appearance and should be recommended for others so they can appreciate the looks of the car and how well it is for people to drive with barely any problems having to be on the car at all.The various upgrade helps it get lighter and to be more safer they add protection inside the car also which is very great for kids, children so they wont have any technical difficulties as the other fast supercars that dont really have any protection inside, within or without it. An Audi helps gets people to places like an average car. The capacity and the weight the car takes on is incredible because it still holds against heavy people such as myself and my other family members who are always entering my car to go to places wherever. For others it would helpful so there would still be a engine functioning.

Im leasing an A4 and paid for a portion of the 36 month lease up front. In April 2017, I asked for a letter stating the current balance of the lease payments. I was sent a letter stating that I owe about $3400. I made a payment of $2400 and common sense dictates that the remaining balance would be $1000. But when I followed up in May 2017 (one month later), Audi said the remaining balance was actually $1300 after the $2400 posted. They raised the balance by $300 and nobody can explain why. Every time I call to inquire, Im placed on long holds and then hung up on. A supervisor finally reached out to me and said that he has no idea why there is this discrepancy but I owe $1300. No explanation or attempt to come to a solution. After I pushed, he hung up the phone as well.Obviously theyve made a mistake somewhere but nobody wants to figure it out. Now I dont know how much I owe and if the balance will continue rising with each payment instead of dropping. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Stick to BMW. I purchased the car used in Late August/Early Sept 2012 in New Jersey. The car had around 42k miles on it when purchased. Within month the oil light came on and I had it in. They topped it off (no receipt) and told me to watch it. Came in again Oct 19 and at that time they updated ECM software and replaced pressure regulating valve and front crank seal and started oil consumption test. They told me that the problem should be fine now. January 2013 EPS light came on and this time it was faulty steering column control module. Oil light back on March, April and every month since. They told me to just come in every time and they would top it off with no paperwork. Over the summer of 2013 the light started coming on every 2 weeks and I started topping it off myself because I couldnt keep running back there and getting into work late. I have had the oil changes done at the recommended intervals, always at the dealer. In Sept 2013 when the light came on again, I took it in and told them it had been coming on every two weeks for a couple of months. They said they would watch it again, and when it came on every two weeks, they did the oil consumption test for the second time. I had to pay for phase 1 and wait for the light to come back on which I did. I had it in two weeks ago for phase 2 and at that time the engine light had also come on. The car failed the oil consumption test and the catalytic converter needed replaced. I have an extended warranty which covers the catalytic converter, but they said the oil consumption issue was not and now I am over the original warranty. They were going to try to get Audi to do something but that was over two weeks ago and the oil light came on again. I had to wait for the catalytic converter to come in and they dont want me to bring it in until they talk to Audi. How long does it take to make a phone call? In the meantime, I am afraid of my engine seizing, which I have heard has happened, and I am tired of having to run to the dealer every other week. I have been in that place more than any other service department combined with all the cars I have owned. I am a 50 year old professional woman who takes meticulous care of my cars and this is absolutely absurd! My son is soon to get his license, and I certainly do not feel safe having him drive around in this vehicle. I have done research on this issue and I know there are a lot of unhappy Audi owners out there. I have been waiting for a class action suit to come about. Hopefully I qualify...Just a footnote...my daughter had a VW Passat when she first started driving and we had so many problems, the dealer took it back, and sold it at auction (He was a friend of the family though)! Sorry for the tirade, but I have reached my wits end! Today, February 22, 2014, I received notice that Audi was not going to assist in any way and the dealer may pay half of the cost to replace pistons and rings? Half? First of all half of what? I have no idea what the cost is going to be... I can only imagine its very expensive. Second, this problem has existed since the day I bought it and it was still under manufacturers warranty at that time. I don think I should have to pay anything for what is obviously a defective engine. I cant even sell the car in good conscience, but I am truly at a loss here and infuriated. Where is the consumer protection here? What are our options? Help...anyone!

I suggest you dont buy an Audi vehicle. My wife and I were both Audi people. She drives a 2015 Audi Q5 and I have a fully loaded 2014 A6. Both vehicles have had their maintenance done at the dealership. We just had to pay to have her pistons replaced on her Q5 due to the oil consumption issue (Google it). They have known about this defect and have settled a class action suit on earlier models. Rather than fix the problem, they are taking the position that oil consumption is normal and they have noted as such in their owners manual. My wife was at the point where we had to add oil every other week. The repair was over 4K. I am at the point where I am adding oil to my A6 although much less frequently but I am concerned about what is going on in the engine.I feel Audi is not standing behind their product. For the amount of money we paid for these vehicles, these engines should last longer. The maintenance on these vehicles is not cheap. To have an engine need that kind of repair after 5 years is ridiculous in this day and age. For it to be a common problem where they have a specific oil consumption test protocol at the dealership just shows you how common this is. I am sure it would be a huge expense for them to admit fault and resolve these issues. They have been fined for lying about issues with their diesel engines and they simply cant be trusted. So as much as we loved our vehicles, we are done with Audi. We will never own Audis again and our next cars will be something more reliable from a more reputable manufacturer. Not only are we sharing our story on multiple forums, we are telling all of our friends and co-workers about our experience with Audi. I am certain they have lost way more than the 4K it would have cost to cover the repair on my wifes Q5.

When the car had 40,000 miles and was over the time part of the express warranty (but not the mileage part) a light went on and I was told a valve in the turbo charger (that was redone and improved by Audi) needed replacement. This fixed the problem, but Audi only paid for the part not the over $300 of labor to replace the part. Given the history, they should have paid for the entire repair. They do not act like an upscale brand seeking to create a positive Audi Experience.

Last month, within minutes after sharing my concerns about the condition of my car (a total of (5) phone calls within a 30 minute time span) with the local Audi service advisor(s) my 11 month old 17K mile SQ5 engine locked up while driving on the interstate. Other than a ticking sound coming from the engine, the car did not display a single indicator light before failure. One month later after repeatedly sharing my concerns to Audi of America and local dealership personnel, (customer experience, aftersales and service) regarding the financial implications (lowered resale value) of an engine replacement and requesting a replacement car. Audi has replaced the engine and offered me a few dollars to trade up to a new car. I find it very difficult to view this as an opportunity for the local sales team to sell me yet another new car at invoice of course. On the surface, one might suggest this is a generous offer for such a loyal member of the Audi family. However, I have recently purchased (3) brand new Audis since September 2012, a Q5 2.0T, a 2013 A6 3.0T and a 2014 SQ5. I pose the question is this an oversight on Audi part or does this speak volume for Audis lack of respect for my business and others.

The last brake job, the car squeaks with brand new pads and rotors. Took back to Audi and they said it is brake dust. After 300 miles still have the issue and AUDI Customer Relations is not helping. This is the last Audi I would buy. I would stay away from this manufacturer.

Very happy with variety. There were a lot of cars to choose from within Audi brand. But I am more interested in cars than SUVs. I love my car a lot. I love the sleek look. I also have variety with radio/aux/satellite radio. The leather seats are great. I am able to fit 5 people in my car comfortably. There is plenty of space in the back seat. The front seat is easily adjusted and can be moved back or forward for more or less space. I also like the sunroof. Cup holders and automatic windows are nice. You can update car with seats, window, sunroom, radio. I enjoy having luxury things in my car. I wish I could have gotten the backup camera. But Im happy with purchase.

I bought a 2009 A4 2.0T Quattro and it was a problem from day 1. The car was consuming so much oil! At its worst it was doing 1ltr every 120km. When I took it to the Audi service shop, they blatantly lied to me after doing a service and check, and said nothing was wrong and perhaps I should buy a new sensor. I kept going back and kept getting the same spiel. Anyways the car engine has died and they are quoting me 10k to rebuild the motor. I told Audi Australia that I have done my research and am aware of the recalls, and class action lawsuit against them for the flawed motor but they are still refusing to do anything about it. Im left with a useless car, back on the bus and frustrated! Does anyone else have any ideas or helpful suggestions where to go from here??

I purchased a new 2019 A8 - and there is a problem with the software on the engine control module. This leads to misfires and power loss - and Audi has no fix for the issue (they are suggesting a software update will be coming in 9 months). How can you sell a $95k car and not stand behind it - just a joke - Audi should be ashamed.

Audi Financial Services is the weakest link in your organization, and needs fixing. First, I explored purchasing my Audi A8L at the end of my lease. The forms were to be mailed to me, but I never received them. Second, I then explored selling the car to CarMax, and received a purchase quote of $54,022 on September 29, good through October 6.Third, on October 1, I asked Audi about a 1-month lease extension, gave my credit card information, but when told of the amount ($2,164.42), I canceled the request at once. Your agent didn’t cancel as I asked. I’m now disputing that amount on my credit card. Fourth, when I tried to sell the car to Carmax on October 5, Audi sent another purchase quote — adding more than $4,270. I refused this exorbitant second quote, as I was within the time parameters of the first quote. After five hours of conversations with Audi agents in three states, Audi agreed to stand by the original purchase quote. During those five hours, however, I was often faced with “waiting for the next available agent” up to 20 minutes, voicemails, and agents who could not make decisions and passed me off to others. I needed one agent who could respond quickly and make a prompt decision. This litany of poor customer service is abysmal and unworthy of Audi.

This car brand is amazing, thoughtful and generous. They had a ton of variety of cars in the showroom and in the lot so you see the different models. The cars were clean and the dealer was as well. They also had catalogs of cars with different colors, features, and tons of custom options. The added features were clearly listed on the cars with their prices. The upgrades were not that highly priced as I would have expected. The passenger side was very comfortable and had a lot of features, more than my last car. The safety in airbags was also a good peace of mind.

I had an Audi Q5 and it had navigation moon roof, all wheel drive, fast. It had heated seats and I loved the car. It also had 20 inch wheels and was silver and black in the inside. The rugs were all weather and it was great in the snow. It had the S line which is a faster model and better options on the inside of the vehicle. I would of liked it in white but they did not have it. But it fit about 7 people good. 2 in the front and 4 in the back. My kids loved this vehicle. It drove everyone around perfect. It was comfortable. This vehicle I recommend to anyone. My family purchased one.

I purchased a 2017 A3 in Sept 2017 at Audi Nanaimo. Ive only owned it just over a year, and purchased their Audi Care Pkg that includes 4 service appts. They recommend routine service at certain intervals, the last one being 60,000kms. I was overdue by 19,000 when I brought it in because of a strange sound while steering to the left, but still within the stated warrantied mileage. They deemed it a complete transmission failure after a $600 diagnosis and will not replace the transmission under warranty, because they said I was overdue for servicing...and the car only has 80,000km on it! They then proceeded to send me an $11,000 quote. What a scam.

We had an Audi years ago and wanted to have another one. The Q7 fit our needs. However, it has been a terrible experience. The brakes will not stop squeaking and the dealer says they have relayed the problem to Audi but nothing gets done. 80% of the people who own this car are complaining according to the dealer. The squeaking is so loud that you are embarrassed to drive the car when anyone can hear. It is awful. Please do NOT buy this car. Audi, please listen to your customers. I bought my 2016 Audi Q5 in air day weekend of 2016 and Ive had 3 separate issues and now 3 recalls in the car within a matter of 9 months. 30 days in my sunroof started to rattle so bad it sounded like the glass was going to fall out. Take it to have it fixed and issues with getting a courtesy vehicle. I got a small A3 which is not comparable to a Q5... Just pointing out the obvious! Also they werent very thrilled about giving me a car even though that was used a sales tactic because that was one of the things I liked about their service and having a luxury SUV! They had to take out the sunroof and put something around the whole thing so it doesnt rattle. Issue was fixed and hasnt come back.Came back in probably 2 months after that when other random rattle sounds started to pop up. One in the back trunk area and one by the dash. Again did not want to give me a courtesy vehicle and again I had to insist. Im a mother of a small child, that time is precious to me and Im not sitting in a dealership with a small kid, no thanks! Trunk issues resolved, front they couldnt figure out and I hear from time to time. Now the final one is my window makes a high pitch screeching sound when I roll it down. Seems to happen in hotter weather. This is getting looked at this week and the 2 out of 3 recalls! This car has been plagued with problems and not the safe luxury SUV I spent $50,000 on to keep me and my daughter safe! Im so disappointed and disgusted with Audi and how Ive been treated. This is not the service or car I expected from them at all!! I called Audi America today and was told they couldnt buy my car back because it had recalls! Really? Why do you think I want to see it back to you, Audi??? Im not safe in this malfunctioning car you sold me!!! And now you dont want it back? SHOCKER! As for the dealership, they can care less and are so rude it blows my mind! Huge mistake buying an Audi! Shouldve stuck with Infiniti!

I bought an Audi 3 in July 2010. After only a few months, I already noticed a problem with the oil. There was always a red warning light. After referring the problem to Germany, they replaced all the piston rings and engine gasket. They have also replaced the battery, and recently, the ignition switch, because the car would not start after several attempts. It was very embarrassing to have an Audi, which only over a year old, to be towed because it wont start. With all these abnormal malfunctions in a 16 month old car, it is obviously a lemon. Of course, the car dealer would not admit that it is defective. I am demanding a replacement, but they refused. I was informed that the 2-year warranty covers only parts and service, but not replacement . It is totally disappointing to have a car that claims to have high end technology, but would not start! Is there no manufacturers warranty from Audi? I no longer want to use a car that can compromise my safety!

I would caution anyone against purchasing a new or used Audi solely based on their horrendous customer service and deceptive service practices. I purchased a new 2017 Audi Q7 and almost immediately notice an obnoxious squealing noise from the front brakes, especially when they were cold. On multiple occasions I mentioned this to my service advisor at Bluegrass Audi when I was having work done on the vehicle. I was consistently told that the noise was normal and was just due to the nature of the brake pads. I recently received a notice of a Class Action Settlement, “Mercado v Volkswagen Group…: that specifically addressed this very issue and I have also learned that there were several Technical Service Bulletins (2050735/1) issued in early 2018 by Audi that addressed this issue and specifically how service departments should fix the issue. Unfortunately, my service department never addressed this issue and I am apparently stuck dealing with the obnoxious squealing. I contacted Audi USA to see what could be done and was told they could not offer any assistance and my only option would be to take legal action on my own. This is tremendously disappointing for a company that holds itself out as consumer focused.

The brakes on my Audi S5 failed completely at the weekend, with 3 children in my car travelling at 70 mph... and luck more than anything that I didnt have a major crash. No warning light, nothing to suggest there was a problem - one moment I had full braking capability, the next nothing. Went to Audi Uk, and because I cant prove beyond doubt that it is a car fault... they arent interested. The AUDI Mechanics are either poorly trained or totally not professionally qualified. Each time it is so hard to speak to someone from the service department. Every phone call, the receptionist will give an excuse that All the servicemen are on the driveway or not on their desks. I have called them 5-6 times each day just to leave my number and no one calls me back.I have to CALL and CALL! I even have to ask my friends to try calling to reach the Service Department and they too experience the same problem - leaving their phone numbers and no one call back at all. Funny thing is that I am a car owner of a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Fiat, Mercedes-Benz and unfortunately this AUDI Q7 which is definitely the WORST purchase I ever made in my life. I have never encounter any problems with my other cars at all. I will never buy another AUDI in my life again as the AUDI brand and reputation has been seriously tarnished. Yes. Hello! I purchased an Audi 5 Quattro in August. Recently, I was ready to turn my vehicle on when I was terrified by a loud banging on the glass. I screamed, thinking someone was trying to break into the car. I called Audis national line, and was told that they knew of no such incidents. I called my dealer, who said it had had a couple of like reports, but no breakage. The dealer just called back to say it would need the car through the weekend to loosen and lower the moon roof, as that was Audis international fix, and, indeed, breakage has occurred on some vehicles. I love my car, but I am very concerned, as I bought the car, specifically, to safely transport my granddaughter. Should I be assured by the fix? Will it compromise my vehicle? Where is Audis recall? I am seeking a proactive v. reactive response. Thank you!

Previous owner of a 2012 Q7 (and other Audis), loved it, not a minutes trouble, never an issue. Anxiously awaited new Q7, saw one at dealer, made a deal and said I would be back the next day to close the deal, I would be in a rush as I had to pick my kids up, make sure everything is ready to go (paperwork printed etc). My Admin Assistant tells them the same thing, make sure paperwork is ready. I buy a vehicle for business 3-4 times a year, I typically am out of the dealership before they can even fuel the vehicle up when they print everything in advance. It didnt happen, ended up being better than 3 hours so I missed picking up my kids, had to get other arrangements to pick them up while I am in dealership. I should have walked out. My fault, but I will never go back there again or buy another Audi. I finally get the car, 12 miles on it, no sooner than I leave dealer lot, warning light goes off. Early the next morning, another warning light, low tire pressure, tire goes flat with 55 miles on it. Nothing visibly wrong, put air in it. Next morning, same thing, flat tire, I tighten valve stem, problem solved. I work on second row seats to kill that warning light, put seats in every conceivable position, wont go out... I email dealer and call and leave a message tell them I am not happy, give me my old car back... No response, but believe me, they knew I was mad so they know who I am.Next day I drop my kids off at school, car wont come out of park in drop off line. Lots of angry parents behind me!!! Restart car several times, finally it will shift... and seat warning light goes out too, bonus!! Little while later the low windshield washer fluid light comes on... Open hood, its full... Then the low tire warning on again, I call dealer and say I am on the way to an appointment, can I swing by and you look at it. Sorry, you dont have an appointment and it will be a minimum of an hour before anyone can look and then dont know how long it will take and we dont have a loaner. The lady knows my name from my earlier complaints so you think they might make an effort to get me in quickly???Then the windshield wipers default to service position and will not operate nor will they reset to normal when you unclick the service position switch... I get out and push them down, they wont work, dead... I get home and call dealer again, left message for GM too, email them again. Then I call Audi care... What a joke! I am in business and understand good customer service, but as I voice my frustration, the lady says you need to take the car into dealer, to which I say I have tried but they have not been able to see me yet, I will take it there and leave it there! She says no, you cant do that, you have to work to the dealers schedule, make an appointment first. I reply back, what about customer service??? I say with previous Mercedes the dealer would come pick the car up and leave me a loaner for the day, that is customer service! She said I am just trying to lower your expectations so you wont be disappointed. Really??? The call went downhill from there, but I will never buy another AUDI ever again and this was a car I was anxiously anticipating getting. The entire Audi experience from the sale to the service to the car sucks...

Safety is 5 star but electrical issues occur more often than I would like in Audi, thus a 4 star. I got this Audi etron with the security that I would have access to 150kw charging stations that would charge my car in 30 minutes (this is what audi is advertising on their website and what the sales person told me). This was a lie and they dont exist on the East Coast. You are lucky if you can find 1 nearby. The fastest charging time for my audi when its on 26% is an 1hr and 15 minutes on the only supercharge stations that exist which are 50kw (and if few of these exist, only 15 hour level 2 charging stations). This means if I want to go out of states I can not because it will add an extra 5 hours just to charge the car because unlike the sales guy told me it does not give you 250 miles but 204 miles (this depends on how fast you drive, if you are going uphill, and if you turn on the AC). They also sold me the brand new vehicle with all 4 safety handles missing. I am not comfortable driving the car because if something as simple as safety handles was missed what else could have been missed. I reached out to Bryan who was suppose to be helping me from the customer experience department and he told me there is nothing they can do. The car works fine and the service department is fixing the handles. I informed him that they did not fix or check my car but only took pictures. I informed him that I wanted a copy of my the final results that he told me over the phone and I am yet to receive this in writing so I can pursue litigation. They are trying to wipe their hands on selling me $100,000 car. And now I will fight them in court and I wont ever get another Audi vehicle. I purchased an Audi W12 my first and I custom ordered the car. I had less that 5,000 miles on my Pirelli tires that were a special order. I got a flat tire in the seam of the tire. I was told by roadside service that I waited for over an hour to take it to the nearest tire facility. On Sunday nobody is open and the spare is a dingy. The drive home was 2 hours. The following morning I took the car to the nearest tire center per roadside assistance. Pirelli requested the tire center to ship the tire to Pirelli to evaluate the tire for the reason the tire went flat. After 3 months and to have Pirelli say they were short handed and it would be another month until they could evaluate the tire. I reached out to Audi North America as I purchased the tires and the car from them. AUDI gave me this response we are not responsible for our vendors and the tires. We can not do anything. It is not their issue on any tire related problem, even though I purchased the $3,000 worth of tires from AUDI. I asked for a supervisor from Audi and was told BY THE AGENT THE BUCK STOPS with him and he will not do anything and it is not Audi issue. If youre going to sell a $135,000 car and tout about your customer service when this was my 2nd Audi and my last purchase. I leased a new 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet from Audi Palo Alto in October. A few weeks back as the car was climbing a hill enroute to Lombard street in San Francisco in Traffic, it started slipping backwards and refused to accelerate upwards. The cars behind me naturally honked and drivers were mad at my car not only blocking traffic but slipping backwards. When I switched off the car and tried restarting it would not start for 10 min. After 10 min, it started again and went up 100 feet and again slipped backwards. Somehow after an hour long traumatic experience, I got out of the hill. When I contact Audi to service the car, I was initially asked to take an appointment and no one at the dealerships service team took my call. Finally I found them and after testing the car, they told me there was a fault in the cars mechatronic system and that the part had to come from germany. After 2 weeks, they said they got the part and completed the repairs. I took the car and when I tried starting it after a few days, I got a transmission error message again. Weirdly, with my other set of keys, the car worked fine. When I tried contacting Audi, again no one responded. The service agent I worked with ** never answers to my voice mails. Overall I feel cheated and disappointed with Audi with a bad car and pathetic service... I am trying to get my lease terminated!

A very nice variety of models was represented with plenty of available information about each on the occasion of my purchase. The Audi has luxury features, gorgeous body styles. I was taken aback by the amount of quality variety I was exposed to. There is a decent amount of passenger capacity in these cars, but I wouldnt recommend it for families as it would be a bit cramped. For a couple or even a couple with a child, it would be perfect. While I didnt choose to apply any of these upgrade and personalization options, a great many of these were readily available at the time of my purchase. The only problem I encountered was being able to pick my favorite!

2012 Audi S4 with NGY transmission (TSB issued by Audi). Vehicle has 69,000 miles. Driving in morning traffic and vehicle stops accelerating and all electronics go dead. Sitting in the middle of the freeway trying to get vehicle functioning. Restart it and vehicle flashes gearbox malfunction and stops accelerating about every mile. Not a fun experience on an LA freeway. Audi dealer says it needs a new transmission for $12,000. After the third call to Audi USA and being read the same canned speech the person tells me that it’s my problem and Audi will do nothing to help fix the car. I ask to speak to a manager and I’m told they do not participate in customer direct communications and they will not change the final decision. My conclusion is that Audi could care less about their customers and their cars are just plain junk. Is Audi building a few or more lemons and attempting to outrun their flawed
Is Audi building a few or more lemons and attempting to outrun their flawed automobiles with marketing dollars and by sweeping the (hopefully few) flawed machines under the rug? A search of these Audi forums disclose a number of late model A8L vehicles with similar problems and a lack of any candid acknowledgement by Audi that they intend to stand behind their product and make good on their promises and warranties.Apparently, Audi America is instead intimidating dealers, directing them to not touch the car or refusing to pay them for warranty repairs unless they buy into the deceit that is part of the game of concealing rather than admitting and resolving these recurring problems. I suspect that these problems may result from there being two classes of vehicles coming of the A8 assembly lines in Neckarsulm, Germany. The vehicles sold to Diplomats and dignitaries, limousine services, top Audi executives and engineers may receive vehicles built when the assembly line may move at one (slower) speed or the more awake shift employees, and the rest of us, well, we get a mixed collection of manufacturing oversights and defects, hopefully not too many in any one vehicle.I suspect there is also a schism between the engineers, mechanics and the bean counters as the integrity of the engineers and mechanics would almost certainly be willing to admit and resolve these nagging problems. What appears to have happened unfortunately is that the manipulator/managers have decided they can disguise the flaws, claiming as designed and suppress any information which would cause buyers to think twice before buying into a flawed brand.A specific issue here is a new vehicle purchased from Audi of Fairfield, in Connecticut last summer under the Audi European Delivery Program, delivered at the Ingolstadt, Germany factory in June, 2012 and subsequently driven around Europe and shipped to the USA and Connecticut. The vehicle was delivered in the USA in November 2012 at Fairfield, Connecticut.Repair requests have been made in Berlin, Amsterdam, Fairfield and in Vermont. As of the beginning of February 2013, Audi of America has now directed that two different Audi dealers not service or touch the car to implement any of the needed repairs. Audi of America appears to be gaming the Lemon Law system of requirements where a car has to be documented for three or four visits to the dealer to attempt repairs prior to invoking a state Lemon Law. This might also explain why several dealers in Europe had serviced the car and were requested in writing to address some of these issues, yet nothing was documented which would satisfy the lemon law requirements. Dirty pool!In summary: Seat sensor - airbag deactivation, outside mirror heat not working, tranny hard downshift when slowing, radio station refresh, cell phone loss of pairing - persistent, console rattle, door close/locks malfunction when cold, clunk (repeatable) on acceleration from stop, MMI system fails to play .wav and .flac files, interior headliner lights flicker, front suspension rattles on rough road, and intermittent seat belt warnings failure.Issues identified in detail:The front passenger seat disables airbag protection intermittently when 115-pound person is seated. It is a recurring issue since June. A mysterious knock/clunk behind the dash is evident on every acceleration from a complete stop. Probably caused by the motor mount or strut tower yet, buried deep behind the engine. It is a recurring issue since June.Since the transmission program changed in September, prior to US delivery, there is a hard downshift when slowing and when engaging reverse on a hill. It is worse than the original programming yet CT dealer and Audi America refuse to document what software version was installed at European delivery and what change was made in Connecticut after arrival in USA. It is a recurring issue since November. The central touch locking fails when weather is cold repeatedly during December and January. It is a recurring issue since November. Radio stations on MMI do not refresh when traveling from city to city, requiring changing to frequency mode selection and then dialing across the entire band to locate a station. It is a recurring issue since November.Bluetooth pairing with cell phone fails intermittently approximately 50% of the time, despite having replaced phone with an older model, for one on the Audi approved list. One cannot re-attempt pairing while driving due to safety interlock. It is a recurring issue since November despite software upgrade, which seems to be the catchall phrase without actually documenting what issues are designed to be fixed by each upgrade as is common practice in the computer, photo and network hardware industry. The MMI system fails to play .wav and .flac files despite assurances by the salesman that this functionality was part of the MMI as it was in a prior documented software versions. It makes no sense whatsoever to pay for a premium B&O sound system only to discover that the system only plays MP3 and other compressed files. Audi America staff went to the extreme to ask the salesman to search his email history for a paper trail of the (verbal) assurances and then had the salesman mysteriously forget and now denies having ever made such assurances. Dirty pool indeed.Other issues identified are: outside mirrors heating fails to melt ice or clear fog, persistent vibration / rattle in center console dashboard, interior headliner side lights flicker when set to dimmest level, front (left?) control arm(s) or strut rattles on rough road surfaces, car whoops when driving over any bump or speed bump after start - diminished after warm-up, and seat belt reminder warning sounds only work intermittently. All in all, the vehicle incorporates very impressive and even amazing design and engineering. The sad and inexcusable disappointment is the stance taken by Audi of America in their efforts to hide, disguise, deny and then frustrate repair attempts. Brad **, to be specific, is preventing this lemon from coming to the attention of CEO Keogh. This is so contrary to the fine tradition and integrity of the AUDI brand that some heads should certainly roll.[more about the numerous European Delivery Program fiasco to follow]

Its been just 8 months that I have bought an Audi A4 from the Audi car dealer in Ludhiana and I am facing a huge problem regarding the tires of car. Actually, the tires of the car have developed a bulge around them. Due to this, I am facing problems in driving. I have informed about the same to the local dealer but they refuse to look after our complaint. Hoping for a quick action.

I have bought the Audi A4 since 2005. I purchased CPO for the extended warranty. I have had a 2001, great car and a 2006, another really great car. I was ready to update to a 2013. I found the car online and it is a beautiful car. However, I have had about 3 recalls in the two years that I have owned it. At the time I purchased the car, I bought it sight unseen but by online photos. I discovered the following... the spare tire is not regular size tire but a “donut”, dual temperature control is not standard, the Cd changer no longer exists, and 60/40 split folding seats were not available, as well as a push-button parking break which would probably not be of much service if your accelerator gets stuck and you need to shift to neutral to try to stabilize the car. Features that seem to be standard (or just luck on my previous buys) are now optional or obsolete. Wish I had kept my ‘06, looking to trade-down. When did leather seats become leather inserts... ugh... Oh, yes, the turbo diverter valve has a gasket and required a new piston driven diverter valve, the cost for replacement is approx $3500.00, Why has this issue not been a recall since the issue is addressed online when you get the diagnostics code. Shame on you Audi... Sacrificing quality for cheap.

I initially bought an Audi because of their quality and excellent engineering. However, I dont believe I will ever purchase another automobile from this manufacturer again. At 60000 miles my MMI system experienced a complete failure. The Navigation display would not come up, the radio wouldnt work, the navigation system completely failed. I took the car to the dealer here in Denver and was told the 5F MMI component would have to be replaced. Cost of the part $2200, $400 for labor. To say the least this is outrageous. Needless to say I am done with Audi, they are obviously not the reliable luxury cars I thought they were. Save your money! Dont patronize.

I purchased this A4 Audi in 2012. At the time, it still had the manufacturer warranty and still does. I had several issues with the car due to Audi design of the steering and ball joints. Currently, I was having trouble with fuel door on the car opening. So I brought it in to ask them to fix it. I was told by Robin that the problem is with the comfort module due to water damage! THEY said they assumed it was water damage and it is not covered by manufacturer warranty! She tried to show me water damage; I did not see any. She said that she might have given me too much information but they cannot complete the FIX because they will not connect the comfort module because the problem IS NOT FIXED unless I pay $812. So I had to leave with the problem at hand!!!

Bought this car brand new. I only had one issue during the 120K miles on it. Audi replaced the water pump at a oil change visit and then gave me extended coverage at no charge. (What Auto company does that?) The brakes do need to be replaced about every 25-30k miles. Routine maintenance is not terribly expensive. The car I replaced this car with is a Porsche Macan. I love the drive of the Macan but routine maintenance is very expensive. Spark plugs at 30K. Drain transmission at 40K. Plan on at least 1K per visit. The Audi was very dependable and a great car. My wife bought a 2018 S5 Sportback that is so much fun to drive. This is a great car company and look forward to visiting their manufacturing plant in Germany!!

After owning Mercedes for 30 years, I bought an Audi in 2012. Big mistake. As much as I enjoyed my TDI, it was not possible buy another; Audi keeps changing their design for the worse; and my experience with the sales staff at two dealerships was enough to make me realize they do not care about customer loyalty. All they want to do is move existing inventory as fast as possible.

I purchased Audi Q7... The brand itself shows its worth, but I never thought that this would happen with my dream car. Only @ 60000 km, Engine Breakdown. Is it Audis actual car? Just after 60000 I have to spend Rs 699,883.76. Called customer Services Gurgaon India, wanted to lodge a complaint on Audis official website. A representative called Heena picked the phone and declined to give me the complaints address for Audi. I dont know is this the cost of using a Brand like Audi. Me and my elder Brother have Audi Q7 and probably we are looking to buy another, but dont think after such a poor experience and service quality as well as such a poor customer services we would recommend Audi to someone else. I would like someone to revert back to my complaint and WANT A DIRECT COMPLAINT EMAIL OR TELEPHONIC COMPLAINT Number FOR AUDI.

My experience with my 2013 Audi A6 Quattro has been a nightmare. I have had to replace the turbo, water pump and thermostat at 61000 miles, my cooling fans keep coming on I take it to the mechanic and they are turned off then a month or two later the fans are back on again, the mechanic said he can find out why the fans keep coming on, I replaced the cooling fans two weeks ago. Now today I pull up in my driveway and the fans are back on again, I have spent over $5000 trying to keep this car running and it only has 78000 miles on this car, I will never purchase another Audi car, they are horrible cars.

I purchased Q7 4.2 2007 in 2006. It was one of the first 1000 made worldwide and I received complimentary maintenance service up to 50K miles. Zoltan ** at Seattle University Audi was very good. So good, we bought another car from him later. :-) I have now (2014) 86K miles on it. I have had some small issues like broken window screen on the left side and stuck screen on the right (so far I have not fixed any). Cracked and eventually separated air filter housing intake (I have used Gorilla tape for that). I have changed brake pads, spark plugs, battery, some light bulbs. All by myself. No major issues. This car is very well made and I am very happy with it. Its heavy on gas, but I already knew that when I bought it. All fluids are done on time, most of the time at Audi dealer. It burns oil, but thats nothing new. Considering mileage, I have not had any serious problems. I am going to keep driving it and see how much longer it will last. Hoping for 300K.

Car was purchased in Toronto in mid Oct, 2018, driven to Naples, Florida in early November and parked in a condo garage 100 yards from the Gulf of Mexico with the passenger side exposed to winds from the Gulf. In mid January a braking issue was noticed when braking at highway speeds. Audi service determined that the issue was caused by rust on the passenger side brake rotors and advised that because this was a result of outside influences the repair cost would not be covered by the warranty. Does this seem reasonable when other equivalent cars parked in the same condo location over 8 years had not encountered the same problem?

Car has 20k miles. It has had key fob unrecognized, have to walk away, come back, it works. Ive had engine shut off on highway due to overheating (thank God I was next to the shoulder lane). My check brake light indicator comes, lights up on the dash, brake lights however work fine. Dealer so far has added antifreeze (it wasnt low to begin with - just above min) cant find problem with light, would have to tear car down. Then I was rear ended at stop light, 8k in repair done by Audi, car now vibrates. Took it to sunny side Audi bodyshop, they sent me to Sunnyside Audi dealer in middleburg OH, (place of purchase/service) and they try to sell me tires and balance after saying nothing wrong with car alignment. Cant guarantee me that it will fix the problem. I did NOT have a vibration problem before being rear ended.I called Audi America, they sent me back to dealer to try to work something out. My tires have PLENTY of tread left as I used winter tires for at least 8k miles of the 20k. Just a horrible experience with the car, with the service, with the repair work of Audi manufacturing, sunny side Audi service, sunny side Audi collision center. Ive owned Honda, Toyota, Ford and Acura, not had any problems. Acura replaced a 600.00 part under warranty. It failed 2 years later after extended warranty expired and they fixed it again, free of charge under good faith. Audi should learn from this. Im going back to Acura. Im not unreasonable. I offered to pay for tires if indeed it takes care of problem. If it doesnt they should. As I said it 100% did not shake/vibrate before accident. The other electrical issues I just deal with until lease end.

I traded my Mercedes for a gorgeous brand new 2012 Audi A8 L. My nightmares
I traded my Mercedes for a gorgeous brand new 2012 Audi A8 L. My nightmares with Mercedes pushed me away from ever buying another Mercedes product. But the nightmares have returned. 3,700 miles EGV failure. Audi came and towed it to the dealer. Parts had to be ordered from Germany. 5 days, 10 days, 14 days of waiting. Wrong parts arrived. After pushing them to pull one out from another A8 in inventory they finally agreed. In the meantime, I was offered to drive a new Infiniti M series from another dealer because all of the 15 Audi loaners were out. I didnt miss my A8 much because the Infiniti was amazing (note to self...).4,500 miles and the navigation screen wouldnt rise from dash because of a motor failure. 3 days of downtime. 7,000 miles - My dash lit up like Christmas lights due to a mysterious computer glitch. Towed again. 2 days of downtime. Mechanics couldnt find cause. 10,500 miles - Trunk doesnt open due to a motor issue. 1 day of downtime. 14,000 miles - Right side Hella made headlamp housing needed replacement due to moisture build-up. This happened on my Mercedes too at 22,000 miles. I have never experienced any problems with Koito or Ichikoh headlamps. 1 day of downtime. 16,000 miles and its Christmas lights again. All lit up and no engine. Towed again. A sensor was replaced after 2 days. 18,200 miles - HVAC failure. Aluminum die cast compressor clutch cracked and needed replacement. Since then a slightly noticeable noise when operating. It used to be dead quiet. Dealer disagrees... 19,000 miles - Super annoying rattling and humming coming from passenger side door. Loose component found in window regulator. Simple fix.I guess this is a common situation with Audi quality and reliability. For a price inching near $105K, I expected a high quality product. I was wrong. My decision to ignore all the consumer review agencies was indeed a stupid thing to do. All of the repairs were done under warranty. The time without my A8 due to quality issues is ridiculous. The headaches of going back and forth to the dealer is unacceptable. Its the very last Audi I will ever own. Colleagues and friends never have issues with their Lexus/Toyota, Infiniti/Nissan, and other Japanese makes. My 2007 4Runner with 77,000 miles had absolutely ZERO problems. My 2010 997 had a few issues but nothing near my Audi. My brothers Acura TL has had zero issues. Ive decided to get rid of my A8 this month. Im going for the Lexus LS F Sport. It may be a bit boring compared to the Audi, but Im tired of wondering whats going to breakdown today! I am convinced the Germans should rely on Japanese suppliers for electronics! The Germans have the greatest ideas but theyre poorly executed...

Purchased 2009 Audi from Jack Daniels Audi in Upper Saddle Rive NJ about 2 years ago. Disrespect and deception seem to be the norm at this dealer, and I was soon to find out with Audi USA also. The car broke down within the first weeks of ownership. I was on my way to IL from NJ when it just died in PA. I called the dealer and they were no help saying call Audi USA. I informed the dealer I need a rental car to get home for work. Long story short, it took NJ consumer affairs action to get reimbursed. The car was eventually picked up, at my expense, and driven to IL. The car burned oil at a rate of 1 qt per 750 miles. Sometimes more. I informed the Audi dealer, they stated all Audis burn oil. It was unimaginable, this is how the car was designed. I was finally told by the dealer that a oil fix was available, and after 3 attempts, they said it was done. On attempt 4 I was told drive 100 miles and bring it back, didnt make 100 miles, and broke down on the side of the road. I was told the timing chain was no good and needed replacement, then I dont hear from the dealer for weeks. Dealer called 2 weeks later, saying rings, pistons and values need replacement, FOR EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION! 2 more weeks and I get a call from Audi USA that they WILL NOT ship the car to me in California. The car is in IL, ruined my familys vacation, and now its stuck there. Audi has even now backed out of their offer to make a deal on a new Audi even though I will NEVER buy another Audi. The car is junk, bad dealers, and horrible customer service.

Very dissatisfied with the amount of rust on my 2006 Audi A3. Its unbelievable. I see many cars on the road many years older that dont have half the rust mine has accumulated. Its over 500 dollars just to buy the metal for the door. No glass, electric... Etc. Its a wonder if the metal was defective. Now I have an airbag recall. My seats as well have cracked and ripped. Got my 2017 Q7 in February of 2016 from Audi South Austin and took my car for issues to North Austin Audi. This was in December of 2016 and since then nothing has been done to the car to remedy the issues. Driver side seat squeaks, when reversing I hear a loud sound (which I am told from the dealership is its normal with Audi - really!! It sound like old truck.) and ash tray on the passenger doors dont close.Every time I call its hard to get an appointment which always is a minimum of 3 weeks out to 3 months. Even if I am lucky to take my car in nothing gets done except the excuses. They dont provide statuses. I have to call them to find out whether I am getting my car. I owned Acura before and I regret making this choice. I am very close to giving up this car as I am dreading the fact that it breaks down I have to deal with service nightmare. Audi sends me emails as follow up every 10 days which is not helping at all rather than stalling the inevitable.

Bought my wife a Q7 and were really enjoying it. It has a lot of great technology. Our son just got his learners permit and has been practicing with my wife in the passenger seat. We have a clay pot near the corner of our garage door that hides the garden hose. My son misjudged the 90 degree turn from our driveway into the garage and hit the pot. His speed was less than 5 miles per hour. The pot suffered no damage (if you get really close, you can see that there is a small stripe of the glazing that has lost a little of its sheen). The Q7, however, fell apart. I had no idea that the bumper and several of the front panels are only held on by clips. Also, some of the electronic sensors for the active cruise control were knocked out of adjustment. Total cost to repair the very fragile Q7 was $4,656.47. I cant imagine how costly the damage would have been if the Q7 was actually involved in a real accident with another vehicle. This is beyond a glass chin. Would its passengers even be safe considering that it falls apart so easily? Consider yourself warned and stay far away.
