Design & Exterior Identity

The S6 e-tron’s exterior design reflects its performance-oriented purpose while maintaining a sophisticated executive presence:

Sport-accented proportions: A wider stance and aerodynamic sculpting enhance both capability and visual presence.

Distinctive lighting and grille elements: Modern lighting signatures and refined surface treatments give the S6 e-tron a bold, upscale identity.

Performance cues: Subtle design details, such as more aggressive lower fascias and sleek side sills, signal sporting intent without excess.

Elegant silhouette: The sedan profile remains refined and aerodynamic, balancing style with efficiency.

Overall, the design bridges luxury and performance cues in a way that suits both daily driving and spirited use.

Electric Powertrain & Performance

At the heart of the S6 e-tron is an electrified powertrain engineered for responsive, engaging performance:

Dual electric motors: Provide all-wheel drive capability and instant torque delivery, enabling brisk acceleration from a standstill and confident midrange performance.

High-capacity battery pack: Positioned to optimize weight distribution and center of gravity, improving handling and stability.

Seamless power delivery: The single-speed transmission typical of electric vehicles delivers power smoothly without traditional gear shifts.

Combined, these elements give the S6 e-tron an electric driving character that feels lively, refined, and well-suited to both city traffic and open-road cruising.

Driving Dynamics & Handling

While the S6 e-tron prioritizes refinement, its dynamics are tuned for engagement:

Adaptive suspension: Adjusts damping to deliver a balance of comfort and control, helping the vehicle feel composed across varied surfaces.

Electric torque distribution: Instant torque at both axles enhances traction and confidence in corners.

Steering precision: Calibrated to provide communication and stability at all speeds.

Regenerative braking: Adjustable braking levels provide energy recovery and a natural deceleration feel.

The S6 e-tron’s chassis and electric powertrain work in harmony to deliver dynamics that are confident without being harsh, striking a balance between spirited driving and everyday usability.

Interior Comfort & Technology

Inside, the 2026 Audi S6 e-tron blends performance focus with premium comfort and advanced technology:

Sport-inspired seating: Supportive seats with bolstering for enthusiastic drivers, yet comfortable for longer journeys.

Premium materials: Soft surfaces, quality upholstery, and refined trim elevate the cabin atmosphere.

Driver-centric layout: Controls and displays are positioned for intuitive use, keeping the focus on both comfort and engagement.

Advanced displays: A digital driver cluster and central infotainment interface deliver navigation, performance data, media, and vehicle status with clarity.

The S6 e-tron’s interior is both functional and upscale, with technology that enhances convenience and driver awareness.

Technology & Connectivity

The technology suite in the S6 e-tron supports modern EV ownership and performance insight:

Customizable digital instrument display: Shows speed, range, navigation, and performance metrics in a crisp layout.

Central touchscreen interface: Easy access to navigation, media, and vehicle settings with responsive controls.

Smartphone integration: Wireless connectivity enables seamless use of favorite apps and services.

EV feedback: Displays energy flow, charging status, and estimated range to support informed EV driving.

Technology supports daily usability and detailed insight into the vehicle’s performance and efficiency.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The 2026 Audi S6 e-tron includes a suite of safety and driver assistance systems designed to enhance confidence and reduce driver workload:

Adaptive cruise control: Maintains safe spacing and speed on highways with minimal effort.

Lane-keeping assist: Provides lateral guidance to support stable highway driving.

Automatic emergency braking: Offers mitigation support in sudden slowing situations.

Blind-spot monitoring: Enhances awareness in traffic and during lane changes.

Safety systems are calibrated to assist smoothly without overshadowing the driving experience.

Strengths of the 2026 Audi S6 e-tron

Instant electric torque: Delivers brisk acceleration and immediate response.

Balanced dynamics: Tuned chassis and adaptive systems deliver composed handling and confident stability.

Premium interior: Quality materials and thoughtful design contribute to comfort and style.

Modern technology integration: Digital displays and connectivity match contemporary expectations.

All-weather capability: Electric all-wheel drive enhances traction in varied conditions.

Trade-offs & Considerations

Charging infrastructure dependency: Longer trips require reliable access to high-power charging networks.

Range variability: Real-world range depends on speed, temperature, load, and accessory use.

Battery weight: Electric battery mass affects driving feel, though it improves stability and balance.

Cost: Premium electrified performance vehicles carry higher entry and ownership costs compared with base models.

Who the 2026 Audi S6 e-tron Is Best For

The 2026 Audi S6 e-tron is ideal for drivers who:

Want an electric performance sedan with both dynamic capability and premium refinement.

Appreciate refined comfort for daily driving and long-distance travel.

Prefer a vehicle that blends luxury, sportiness, and modern technology.

Seek an all-weather capable performance EV with confident handling.

Purchased 2006 A4 used in March of 2007 with 8,000 miles. Two weeks after purchase, stranded, due to bad coils. The car is towed and repaired under warranty. One month later coils fail again - Im stranded again. Car is towed and repaired. After that the car is excellent mechanically for about 75,000 miles of meticulous, by the book maintenance by an outstanding independent Audi shop. Replaced plastic center console glove box latch twice. I finally improvised with velcro. Cmon Audi cheap, fragile, plastic latch on a 30K car! The Check Engine remained lit from 10,000 miles on. The dealer and Audi shop would diagnose every tune-up and oil change but the light would come back after 10 miles or so. At 60,000 control module for auto door lock and alarm failed - quoted $525.00 repair. I decide to manually lock and unlock driver door. All other doors locked properly but the alarm would not set without manually locking the driver door. 110,000 mile driver side power window actuator, $350.00. 115,000 oil sensor/plug $690.00. Next rear fuel pump located in gas tank, $800.00. Now the car is dead from camshaft failure at 135,000 miles. The dealer quote is $11,200.00. Ive driven many makes in 40 years of car ownership: GM, Honda, Acura, Lexus, BMW. None have left me stranded by the roadside. Acura, Lexus and Bimmer easily exceeded 150,000 miles. Im headed back to Acura or Lexus after I figure out how to dispose of the Audi A4 occupying a space in my garage.

We purchased an Audi Q7 with 92,000 km on it from Sydney. We looked at it on the 21st March 2012 and bought it for the price advertised on the 22nd March 2012 with no questions asked. We were offered 3 year new car warranty for $3,500, which we paid up with also no questions asked. On the 21st, we were asked to pick up the car at 10 am on the 22nd. We came at 10am and the car was not ready. We waited for 2 hours. There was a problem with the Audi but they didn’t tell us exactly what, they just said it’s not a big deal. The day before, we explained to them that the car must be ready at 10am as we were driving to Melbourne. We were then approached by a group manager who said that we can’t have the 3 year warranty, it was a mistake and that we can have a 2 year warranty for $2,600. We did not want to accept this. Finally, they agreed to give us as promised 3 year new car warranty for $3,500 but the lady that does that was away so they promised the next day I would get the paperwork for the warranty from Anna Marie. Of course, I never did. I called 3 times and finally got the paperwork but it was for the 2 years, which is not what was promised. Therefore, there was a lot of emailing back and forth. After 2 weeks of having the car, the seat broke and the buckle broke cup holders jammed. We did a diagnostic scan of the Audi computer which showed engine faults and other faults. Vince ** from Audi Alto NSW confirmed there is nothing wrong with the car. Since the car was under the 3 month warranty Audi Brighton (Melbourne) had to get approval from Audi NSW, which has taken 3 days and I still don’t have my car. A week ago when I went into Audi Brighton, someone looked at the car and noted all the problems and made me an appointment for a week’s time. At this point, that dealer knew that the car was from NSW and that it was under the 3 month warranty but they didn’t bother to contact anyone in the meantime. So on when I took my car in, they said it will take approx 5 hours and will call me when done but they realized that they need Audi NSW approval. 3 days has gone past and my car is sitting in Audi Brighton and they still haven’t touched it. Both the dealers are lying and making up excuses. I am fed up with this. I just want my car fixed as it hasn’t even been a full month. I don’t think that it was appropriate that Audi NSW sold me a faulty car or at least didn’t tell me about it. I have not yet experienced something as horrible as this. What can I do? What are my rights? This is just shocking.

The Audi is very luxurious and good gas mileage. Theres a lot of space with a lot of speed too. It is safe and durable. It is stylish and I love that it is updated with the best features. It has leather seats that are very comfortable and are easy to adjust. It offers great technology with built-in GPS with everything you need and satellite radio. It makes your drive a lot smoother. It offers star for emergency too and works great. The car has plenty of room for passengers and the back also has a lot of space for being a sports car.

I did 45000 miles service at Audi Denver. I pre-paid next service that comes at 55000. Everything was nice until then because they were getting money. Nobody told me that there is validity for Audi care and now when I went there to get the service done they told me that it is expired, nothing can be done and the money that I paid is gone. I contacted Audi America and no one is helpful. They are least bothered about their customers issue (especially when the money is paid to them). There is no escalation process. Nobody cares. Highly unsatisfied. Dont know how much this forum will be useful but want to make other aware of this bad experience that I had with them.

It has been my greatest misfortune to have bought an Audi A4. Early on we recognized that we had two problems: one was the ever changing and replacing of the fuel pump and the second was the sludge problem. The first recognition of the sludge problem was on March 18, 2008. This receipt I have. It said Rich found possible oil sludge problem. We then visited Life Quality automobiles of Bay Ridge again on September of 2008 and November of 2008. On one of these dates we paid close to $6000 to fix the sludge problem. The receipt that I do have for 3/18/2008. We also have a service and change of oil at the Audi service center Life Quality. All service and oil changes have been made at Zumbach when were living in NYC. Then Life Quality and Audi of Brooklyn when we moved to Brooklyn.I dont have the receipt for September or November of 2008. I never thought that I would need it for a future claim. I went to the offices of Audi of Brooklyn in May of 2011 to try and get copies of the work but since they bought out Life Quality of Bay Ridge, they only kept the receipts for 2 years and they destroyed any receipts that would have been in my file. Their computer system shows I was in on those two months but they cannot see the details of those days.Once we did pay for the sludge problem, we were under a new 8-year warranty. In June 23, 2009, I was at Audi of Brooklyn and the sludge problem occurred again. I do have this receipt and they fixed the problem again; but since we were covered under the warranty, we did not pay this time.It has been painful monetarily to own an Audi. This sludge problem is ongoing and recurring. To ask me for copies of receipts after three years is unfair. In September of 2008 I had just moved into my new house in Brooklyn and I had just given birth to my son. It is understandable that some papers would have been misplaced.I would like to be reimbursed for my hardship with this car and the funds I paid to fix the initial sludge problem. The car right now has a sludge problem. I can’t keep fixing this problem; it is annoying. I really feel that I received a damaged engine and I would like Audi to replace it with a new or used undamaged engine. It is more costly for them to have to keep fixing an ongoing recurring problem.I am enclosing all and any of the receipts I do have. Replace my engine and reimburse for sludge costs.

Variety is great. The vehicle has hands on compatibility and an amazing stereo system stock inside with bass functions of a custom audio input system. Music is great for me and I loved that about the Vehicle. You cant go wrong with a classy, luxurious look. The vehicle has these looks plus the modernization of newer vehicles. The capabilities within its representation actually complements the vehicles abilities very well. I literally never see small cars with a lot of room but the Audi is made for small vehicle, great gas but holds more passengers than most cars and is about equal to an SUV passenger. Upgrading is Automatic. It also works very well for the car. I personally believe that if you want your dream car and get it drive until it Falls completely apart with this vehicle you would be driving for Eternity. They need to distribute a new vehicle call Audi Eternity.

My daughter had a massive failure of her 2012 Audi Q5. Audi of America and Audi of Beaverton provided a level of service which was nowhere near Audi professions of excellence. Past positive experiences were outweighed by Audis overwhelming unwillingness to acknowledge its problem. Audi Beaverton tried to address the problem, but, without consensus of Audi USA, was limited in what it could offer. Furthermore, Audi Beaverton gave conflicting information to us and Audi USA. In effect, Audi USA claimed that Audi Beaverton blamed my daughter, and Audi Beaverton said that Audi USA wouldnt address the problem.

I have a 2015 Audi A5, with 26400 miles on it. I purchased the car with 11,000 miles on it in April. I began experiencing a LOUD brake squeaking 2 weeks ago. It squeaks when I lightly apply the brakes. The service department at Audi told me that the brake pads only had 10% wear so its Not the Pads. They then told me that I would need to drive about 60 mph or FASTER, then apply the brakes... I am NOT going to try this dangerous and potentially deadly act.I think that there is a design issue that must be addressed. I have owned probably 12 cars in my life and NEVER has this happened with no answer. The lemon law in Illinois is quite clear and I actually received a new car because of this law. I am sure there are other owners that has the same issues... We must start writing to Audi and people who can help... This must get resolved. Im ready to drive the car to the dealer and leave it there until its resolved. I know that this is a non warranty issue but there is an obvious defect.

Buyer Beware!!! These cars have transmissions and clutch issues!!! I purchased a 2021 brand new off the lot with only 6 miles and 5 months later I started having transmission issues barely escaping off the highway alive when the car decided to shut down on me. The engine light came on stating that I had transmission failure and it completely shut off after I barely made it off onto the ramp, luckily I was near an exit, otherwise it would have shut down on the highway. People please read up on Audi’s and their transmission issues before purchasing!!! Because the dealership will be of no service to you once the car starts to fail, they are in the business of making money!!!

I love Audi the car, but Audi financial services is an absolute nightmare.
I love Audi the car, but Audi financial services is an absolute nightmare. I lease an Audi A4 in 2011. I leased a car from Audi in 2011 and promptly returned the car in outstanding condition a few days before the end of the lease. About a week before returning the car, some vandalism was done on a fender. I put a claim in with my insurance company and the car was completely detailed not on for the fender but bumper etc. It looked almost in showroom condition. BTW I live in Manhattan. The lease also allowed me to have 30,000 miles on the car. When I returned the car, it only had a little over 14,000 miles on it. If I still needed a car, I would have bought it. I even asked friends if they may be interested in buying it from me if I bought it. It was that much of a deal. Audi employs a vendor named SGS to do car inspections. The inspector spent over an hour inspecting every inch of the car. At times he actually pulled out a magnifying glass! I have leased many cars and have never had an inspector like this. I was outraged when he listed tiny scratches, a tiny ding on the side door and a hairline crack in the rear tail light. He gave me an estimate of what I need to pay for Excess wear and tear. I kept asking him do define excess wear and tear. He showed me a tiny scratch on the hood that exceeded 2/3 of an inch or something like that. I kept saying that the tiny scratch is far from excess wear and tear. Finally I just grabbed his write and decided to call Audi myself. About two months later, Audi called me asking for proof that I turned in my car. I asked her why they dont just get the information from Audi Manhattan where I returned the car. She said that Audi Manhattan is difficult to communicate with and it was easier to just get the information from me. I run a small business and do not have time to do someone elses job. I explained that Audi Financials internal problems are not my problem, but if I find the document I will send it to them. About a month later, sure enough, I found the document, made a copy and sent it to Audi Financial. I then get a bill 5 months later from Audi Financial for over $1,000. There were excess wear and tear charges AND they claimed I turned in the car 20 days late. (I turned the car in early.) So the fighting with Audi financial will continue. There are a lot of hot cars out there. You dont need Audi. I have leased from Lexus and Toyota. I had no wear and tear charges with them and never had the car put through the body shop a week before returning it! DONT LEASE FROM AUDI!!

My name is Dimitri **. I leased a brand new 2010 Audi A5 from Prestige Audi of North Miami beach. With my lease, I was told to bring my car to them every time its time for service. The car said its time for a service so I made an appointment to drop it off. They called me and told me it was ready, so I went to pick it up. I took it home. When I get in to my car, I always approach the driver side. Well one day, I backed the car in and the next morning, I approached from the passenger side and I noticed there was damage to my passenger front wheel.Well, it was dented in multiple places and bowed out at the top of the wheel well plus paint damage. So I said to myself, I didnt do it, maybe I got hit but let me take it to Audi to see what theyll say. So I went there to speak with Fernando **. I told him the situation and he said let me see it and Ill tell you if we did it here. His exact quote was, Ive been working on this lot for 9 years and I know what kind of damage this lot can do and that damage was done here. He told me that where they keep the cars after they service them, is enclosed by a fence and they covered that fence with a white cloth so people cant see in and steal or vandalize the cars. And as one of the porters was parking my car, he didnt notice that a pole was also covered by the white cloth and he pulled it up as far as he could and while doing that, he hit my car damaging the front end. So they damaged the car on their lot. I have that in writing that the car was damaged on their lot while being serviced. So he was very nice in the beginning and said to bring it and they will fix it. I dropped it off on August 8 to be repaired and they said it would take four days. Two weeks later, after no phone call, I called them and it just so happened to be ready. I was like, great, Im coming to get it. I got there and I looked to see if they repaired the car correctly. As I was looking it over, I noticed that the headlight on the damaged side was sticking out more than the other side and there was still a few marks on the bumper. So I told them and they said they would fix it. Another week went by. They call and told me that if I dont bring back the loaned car they gave to me while my car was being fixed, they will charge me. So I brought the car back like they asked. When I got there, I inspected it again and I noticed that the hood of my car was extending over grill of the car. I can stick my fingers under the hood when the hood should be closed. I told them to bring another A5 to compare and u can tell there was a difference. I have pictures and videos of all the damage. If needed. I am paying more than 600 dollars a month for my lease and I take care of the car like its my baby. I leave it with them and they damaged the car. The car will never be the same once its gone to the body shop. It will never be the same and has lost value of my car. If someone checks the car, they can tell there were repairs done. I called them and asked them whats going to happen now. They said that they will do nothing to resolve this matter. Thats why Im writing you to see what I can do as Im only one person dealing with a huge company who doesnt care about the customers. Why should I keep paying the same payment when my car is not new anymore? I would understand if I did the damage, but I didnt. They damaged my car and dont care because theyre not paying for it. The manager called me today and told me to bring the car back and get my car and stop nitpicking. Is it nitpicking or do I just want what I deserve my car (in perfect condition, just like I had it when it rolled of the assembly line)? I dont know who can help me with this situation but I would love for you to help me or point me in the right direction because they dont listen to anything I say. They are trying to take advantage of me because Im young and I am a nice person. But enough is enough (plus I paid for this month and I wasnt even able to drive my car at all, so I paid for nothing).

Audi has reinvented itself by being the first to present the bolder grill style now seen in all brands. Current models appeal to both young and old buyers in a way few brands can. Their models tend to be less sleek and more assertive than competitors. Ultimately, their lineup portrays conservatism with a understated power and style buyers want. Audi is excellent in personalization under the hood and in performance enhancements. Most models are available in trim packages that include significant improvement for power, handling, ride control and braking. Their interiors are currently without equal and need little to no upgrades. Their technology options are current but not overly cutting edge.Depending upon the category of vehicle Audi general is average to above average in passenger capacity. Passenger comfort is more of a hallmark than capacity. They have everything you could want except hybrids. Audi has class leading small, medium and large cars. They have competitive SUVs and trendiest sport models. They are only rivaled by Mercedes for variety in performance models and upgraded trim packages.

I bought my dream car, a 2014 A7 TDI, at the beginning of the year. With 8500 Miles, it stalled in the middle of the road, and would not restart. My first concern was that maybe my husband put in unleaded gas instead of diesel. After calling the Audi Roadside Assistance (which I will never use again) and waiting for 2 hours for a tow truck, my car was finally taken to the dealership. 2011 Audi Q5 - Really disappointed with this car. The oil consumption is crazy and because I started to have issues with the consumption after 2015 but even though the class action lawsuit was settled, I am now not qualified to get my oil issue fixed because I am past the date and the mileage is over 80,000. Really disappointed that Audi is handling these cases so poorly even though it is clearly their manufacturing error! Horrible customer service.

We bought a 2015 A6 7 months ago. This car rides like a dream, has power and comfort. But, you would think as much as you spend on these cars the service would be a lot better. We had our oil changed at Cavender Audi in San Antonio and they would not even reset the oil service alert (you are unable to do it yourself in MMI). Then when your complimentary data service runs out after 6 month you have to pay $800 for 30 months. Toyotas Entune is free, Fords, SYNC is free and I am sure there are a lot more companies that provide complimentary service like this. Chevy allows you to use your current phone data plan which costs $10 month. So bottom line the car is outstanding but as much as Audis cost they could at least give you complimentary data or at least let you use your phone company.

How can such a new car become completely worthless??! They want us to pay $15K to change the motor! We cant even drive the car. AUDI is a terrible company to work with, and not once did they help us. They left us with YOU DEAL WITH IT attitude.

I bought 2010 Audi A4 for my son with 101k mileage, engine broke down at 115k! Called mechanics and they all agree that I need a new/used engine as Audi has an engine that no one wants to open and find what the problem is! All mechanics agreed that Audi’s engine has problems and that Audi USA know about the issue. Bad experience. Never an Audi.

My car is a 2004 3.0 Liter A4, with mileage around 250,000 km. While driving 60 kph, the oil warning light flashed and the engine quit. I thought it was the timing belt but when the mechanic took the heads out, he discovered the engine seized up due to thick sludge that clogged the oil filters, starving the top part of the engine damaging the heads. The timing belt was not broken but stripped. The engine had to be replaced.I found one 2005 A4 which had the exact same problem of oil sludge but in better shape. The repair cost over $7,000. I submitted a claim to Audi Canada but was denied. The reason was the oil sludge warranty extension covers up to 10 years, but mileage limit is 190,000 km. I was told this warranty extension was issued in June 2011. In the U.S., the same program has been in place since 2004 and there is no mileage limitation; however it covers only 1.8T engines from 1997 to 2004. Why is Audi Canada only offering the oil sludge warranty extension only in 2011, 7 years later compared to Audi America? Why are we Canadian owners not provided with the advisory? Anyone with oil sludge problems with 3.0 liter engine? Please email **. Im planning to take action against Audi Canada for not providing and advising owners the oil sludge warranty extension advisory.

I purchased new Bridgestone tires which were put on my car, and the next few days I went to Audi to get their computerized alignment services. I waited there for 5-6 hours after I had a 9AM appointment. Alignments only take within 1 hour. The mechanic did the alignment then took the car for a test drive and the alignment was way out of alignment. HOW. Since this was a computerized alignment. And that was after 4 hours??? So it was pulled back into the shop and worked on for 1.5 more hours. Well they produced a computer sheet off the system showing the alignment completed. Totally suspect. Well that was April 2019 and then Covid hit and the car was barely used. In all, there was only about 7200 miles put on the car in 1+ years. Local distance only. SO, after a year I made an appointment to bring in the car for a front steering issue and told them to inspect the whole car. The mechanic doing the inspection made note that the rear tires were much lower treadwear than the fronts, and should be replaced. I said, Really? That is not good as this Audi dealership did the alignment for all 4 tires. The dealers service manager made a snide comment that who is driving the car? I said my wife who is 66 years old and drives locally only. He shut up. I then took the car to another mechanic who confirmed that the tires were unevenly wearing on the rear and did so in making them uneven as a pair. Thus the mechanic at Audi did not recognize the uneven wear. (Is he a mechanic??) Idiot as I see it. So I asked Audi to replace the rear tires and fix the alignment. They balked and said the amount of time made it not their problem. But the car only had 7200 miles on it since the alignment was done, and anyone knows that the malalignment takes time to show and the 7200 miles is about correct. I have other mechanics responses to this to show just that. So I bought new tires and had Firestone do the work with the guaranteed for life alignment, which they service at any time. They also gave me their details on the probably cause of the Audi service department. The Audi service totally screwed up. They are incompetent.

This brand has a fairly wide variety of models. Including Audi A3 Sedan, Audi Q3, Audi A4, Audi A3 Cabriolet and many more exclusive and family cars. The variety of models range from sedan to cabriolet. I had the Audi A3 Cabriolet, it was a beautiful cobalt blue. It had a nice range of features. Mine was a standard wheel drive. The stereo was very nice as well. You can option this beautiful car out to your hearts content. You can add a turbo, choose your color, change stock stereo set and much more. The capacity in my car was good. However, I would imagine a sedan being much more spacious and better for family than my cabriolet. My cabriolet had enough room for myself and my school supplies, however.

2015 Audi A4 brakes are an embarrassment. Brakes squeak when cold or wet, not a little but enough to turn heads at stop signs and in parking garages. The dealers recommendation was to drive down the freeway at 65 or 70 mph and stomp on them engage the ABS. Great, safe advice - thanks Audi. Im glad to see that Audi has known about the issue dating back to (at least) 2012 from owner experience blogs - but pay their customers the same lip service in 2016 as they did four years ago were aware and were working on a solution. So much for Truth in Engineering.

I bought a 2002 Audi and it was slightly used when I bought it, but in excellent condition. However, after several trips to the Audi dealer for repairs, my car caught on fire under the dashboard (electrical fire). I began to search the internet to see what I could possibly do and to find out if there had been other experiences like mine. Fortunately, I did and found out not only there had been more cases similar to mine, but that they had had serious issues over the years with Audi cars catching on fire.

Back in 2017, car had EPC light illuminated, would lose power while driving, would idle roughly and then not turn on. Had it towed to Audi Honolulu. Found electrical wiring burning through to the gas tank (couldve blown up) and so they replaced the gas tank and the wiring at their goodwill more like to save a lawsuit. Anyways April 2019 now, same issues with EPC light, idling and losing power then it not turning it on. Got it towed to Audi El Paso. Apparently, cylinder 1 and 2 in the engine are at 0 psi compression and we need a new engine.Mind you every service has been done at an Audi dealership and its only got 60,000 miles on it. Told they wont be covering any costs and told by Henry at Audi El Paso he wont even provide a loaner vehicle unless we agree to pay $10-13k for a new engine. What a joke. My thing is why wasnt this issue found in 2017 when the car had the exact same issues? Its their job to fix the car right. I am going to be taking my claim further until I get results. Googling the same car and I see so many people with the same issues. When will Audi take customers seriously? Makes you wonder how many Audis are a safety hazard driving around and could blow up any second. My families safety comes first and it should come first for Audi too.

We purchased a Pre-Owned Audi Q5 from Audi-West Chester, PA that was burning a quart of oil per month by 30,000 miles. I notified the salesman and manager the same day of purchase that the add oil message had appeared on the way home. From that point on neither would return my calls or emails and were always in meetings when I showed up. By 70,000 we were burning a quart each week! All along we were told by Audi West Chester that this was normal for any 2.0T.Recently I scheduled an Oil Consumption Test to be done at another dealer that I have dealt with, Mechanicsburg PA which was a nightmare of a process. This dealer confirmed numerous times over the past 2 years that burning oil was normal while I was in for other service. When I returned to conclude the oil test I was told the engine was burning 3 quarts of oil per 1,000 miles and Audi would probably cover 75% of the repairs, but before they could submit a claim I would have to pay $289 for another engine test.Yesterday, I received a call saying Audi agreed to pay 25% of a $5,000 repair due to high mileage. The fact that I had written documentation of the problem existing at 30,000 miles made no difference. No part of this warrants the premium price paid for these vehicles. I hope the 2009-2011 2.0T class action law suit gets extended, then all 3 of my Audi vehicles would be involved in class actions. What a great company. Seeing Audi reduced the factory warranty after moving production to Mexico tells me Audi dealers know they must put on a good show in the sales department and then add some smoke and mirrors to rake in the cash for service. Great business model.

Purchased my car in 2012 with 45,000 miles on it. Immediately it started burning through a quart of oil every 5 weeks or so. I complained to the dealership. They said it was normal. I complained again. They said it was normal. I complained again. They said it was normal. I had to burrow myself so far up their ** for them to take a look at the car. They performed an oil consumption test which it failed. They said I had to replace the engine. Thankfully, I was 475 miles under the warranty expiration. From that point forward the car never worked properly. An ignition coil change, 3 issues regarding misfiring, repair work for several diagnostic codes. All in, on top of my $450 month payment & $6k deposit, I spent about an additional $10k repairing the car.Additionally Audi USA covered another $10k worth of work. Thats $20,000 worth of repair work over 4 years. A $1,000 bill every 10 weeks. At 130,000 miles I pulled into a parking lot, car was running fine (after a $1,300 repair bill the week before). I got out of the car and realized I forgot to grab something at another store. I immediately got back into the car and pushed the key in the ignition. It didnt start. Needed to have the car towed. The dealer tells me they have to rebuild the entire engine again.Audi USA called and left a message yesterday (Ive been without a car for 3 weeks now and had a loaner for all of 4 days) that the case has gone to the highest level and there is nothing they will do about it. They said if I have any questions I can call the case handlers direct number. Seems that direct number goes directly to a voicemail void that never gets checked because my phone calls have yet to be returned. Looking at the number of issues and similar complaints all over the web I am baffled that Audi refuses to take responsibility for their poor design and the numerous faults that continue to occur on this engine model.

I have a new 2016 Audi A6 with an eight year bumper to bumper warranty. The only warranty I did not get was for the exterior paint and leather seats. I am the only driver of this car and no longer have kids at home, so thought I didnt need it. Starting a few months ago the leather front seats began to warp and crinkle. Now the leather on the back seats are beginning to crinkle as well. The first time I took it into Plaza Audi in St. Louis the service department put conditioner on my leather in hopes it would fix the defect. Clearly it did not. The second time, the new manager said clearly theres something wrong and hed reach out to his Audi rep to determine how to get this repaired and he snapped a couple photos. Somehow Brad **, Audis Midwest Rep has declared that my seats defects are due to outside influence. He cant say what that outside influence is or why fine leather seats buckled and crinkled on their new car. I was told my only remedy is Audi Customer Experience. After weeks of an investigation Joanna at Audi Customer Experience told me that no one in their department is a technician so they have to rely on what their Audi rep tells them. So, WHY is there a department that can essentially do nothing but repeat what their rep has told them? I took my car to another Audi service department. Experts there agreed I could not have caused this damage and theyd get back to me in a couple days. Ah ha, but because Brad ** has already made a ruling on my car, NO OTHER AUDI SERVICE DEPARTMENT can question his ruling. Then I contacted corporate communications. Just got another callback. Good grief, corporate communications circled me BACK to Audi Customer Experience who only repeated to me exactly what Brad **s original ruling! Ronald ** at Audi Customer Experience repeated again that Audi blames ME for the manufacturers defect on my leather seats. He would not let me tape the conversation. Ronald ** refused to give me the name of his boss. He says hes speaking for Audi worldwide and no one can help. I can pay for the new leather seats and Plaza Audi will kindly install them for free. I feel like Im playing a board game that keeps sending me back to the same place with every move. Any suggestions?

Audi A4 2.0T - 69k miles and Im in the hole almost $8k!! Bought the car certified pre-owned with 32k miles. Keeping up with all recommended maintenance and caring for the car inside and out, this vehicle has been nothing but a lemon. Its been on a tow truck 4 times in 3 years. In the shop 6 times outside of regular maintenance. Cylinders replaced. Pistons replaced. A/c gone twice! I can go on... I dreamed of having this car, and now I cant get it sold quick enough. Going all American! Shame on Audi for poor design putting Turbo on a 4 cylinder car and straining the ** out of the engine causing parts to weaken faster for replacement. Overpriced car doesnt even hold value. Never again! That just explains why there is so much inventory of Audis for sale everywhere. People cant get rid of them quick enough.

They had an absolute huge selection of family friendly vehicles for me to choose from, which made it a really hard choice to pick a specific vehicle. Each of the vehicles were spectacularly invincible looking. They had a really nice glow to them and caught the eye right away - of myself, my spouse, and my child. Seeing all the upgrades made me want personalization, and there were a lot of choices to personalize a vehicle of my choice - color, seating, doors, etc. Having a young child, safety is my number one feature to look for. Since I have a one year old and a newborn on the way, seating is a huge factor in my buying a car. So having at least a five-seater is mandatory and that was available which was nice.

Similar to other reviews, I have experienced the inability of my Audi Q5 to hold its stereo presets. Audi has said that it is an issue with Sirius XM, but I am not seeing the same issue with other makes and models. While radio presets is a small problem compared to say, engine problems, it is that Audi has been nonchalant about a feature not working at all since the time of purchase. It, along with several other service issues in which I had to be the one to get a matter taken care of, shows the lack of accountability on Audi’s part, and will be the reason that I will never purchase another Audi and will actively prevent friends and family from making the same mistake.

We recently purchased an Audi Q3. The car has been with us for 5 months and has a 5000+ plus on it. Suddenly, the front wheel developed bubbles. Now all wheels have alignment problem. They informed us that bubbles are due to potholes. As far as my recollection goes, there has not been any major potholes that we encountered. I am extremely unhappy with the way the car has deteriorated in standard over the past few months. I believe I am talking about premium luxury car whose features had been put to vast testing and certified of performance that has enabled them over the years to set such high price value. But if a tire alignment could change and develop bubble if the car goes through a pothole, I am seriously wondering the kind of test they have done to certify it. How could I trust this car when I travel in snow? I am extremely disappointed with the car. I had once liked Audi so much that we did not look at any other brands hoping it would be truth in engineering as promised. But now I regret my decision.

My car was taken to The Collection in Coral Gables three times in two month
My car was taken to The Collection in Coral Gables three times in two months! What a horrible inconvenience! I initially felt it had something to do with the turbo. Three times I had to rent a car and each time they told me that the problem had been fixed. Three times they told me it was not the turbo. They changed spark plugs, replaced injectors, replaced the breather valve, replaced another injector, replaced the ventilation pipe and all three times the initial complaint reoccurred! Finally, the car did not start at all and I was not at home at the time and had to have it towed. I requested that it not be towed to that service center and instead it was towed to another one, Audi of Pembroke Pines, which is about 40 min from my home but at this point I did not care. I felt that if it was not fixed this time, I would have to look into another car. Audi of Pembroke Pines diagnosed the problem. Guess what it was? The turbo! And they repaired the car which was thankfully under warranty! This has severely left me nervous about the reliability of my car. Can you imagine being told that a problem was fixed and driving long distances on interstates and the problem reoccurs leaving you scared of being stranded? Well, this happened three times. Each time I reiterated about it being the turbo and each time they said it was not. Reliability is a womans best friend. Without that, the trust is gone, my friend. I have my car back. Thank you, Audi Pembroke Pines! But I am still nervous about driving long distance on my own right now. I may have an Audi, which once I thought was the best thing ever, but I look at my mom with her Toyota or my brother with his Lexus which never breaks down and then look at my fancy car and wonder if it was worth it all. In 2011, which I dub The year of the Car, I have had, aside from regular maintenance, replacement of radiator fan motor. In July, service found them defective, worth $ 310; fan assembly worth $315. I replaced ignition coil for $64 in July, and twice in November problems stated earlier reoccurred. In December, one problems stated earlier and in March 2012, turbo has to be fixed. Now, after the turbo has been fixed, I now needed my major tune up and to replace spark plugs that were corroded and contaminated with build up that was just done in November. The cost to replace those spark plugs is $331! At the same time, my brakes needed to be fixed. This job was neglected awhile as the priority was to fix the problem with car even running, right? Forget stopping. Therefore, pads had to be replaced as well by this time as well as rotors worth $886. Great car, huh?

When the car had 40,000 miles and was over the time part of the express warranty (but not the mileage part) a light went on and I was told a valve in the turbo charger (that was redone and improved by Audi) needed replacement. This fixed the problem, but Audi only paid for the part not the over $300 of labor to replace the part. Given the history, they should have paid for the entire repair. In winter 2016 I have bought brand new 2017 Audi A4 Premium Plus for 47k. It was this new version with cool digital gauges and new technology. It was rather exciting. I was thinking at the time that this small luxury sedan was worth the money. Then in December 2020, I got the message that my car doesnt support any more Google maps and from December 31 will stop working. Really after 3 years my car is obsolete and exciting feature that I have chose this car for is no longer available. I have contacted dealerships right away to see if I can upgrade my car, but answer was no, and I should probably get a new or newer Audi in order to have that ability. So 4 years after I cough up 47k for this Audi and planning to keep it in the family for longer, this car lost one of features that was their top selling point. I had a numbers of Audi cars so far in my life A4, A6, Q5 and Q7. I can tell you one thing. I will never ever again buy a Audi. It is like throwing away you money for something that will be obsolete in 3-4 years. Really sad from company that I had a the time on top for my vehicle needs.

My wife loves this 2012 A4. We bought it new in 2012. Its great looking (black on black), drives well and has plenty of room plus its a manual transmission model, a requirement for her. Issues include a weird bug in the emissions control system which causes the engine check light to come on intermittently when she fills it up with gas and a finicky air flow meter which needs cleaning frequently. Its been in the shop four times for the intermittent check engine light with a lot of expense and no result. We just live with it. Another annoyance are the constant Emails and Snail mails we received advising us to trade the car in on a new one from Audi. The trade in offers were well below Kelly blue book trade in value and wouldnt stop coming although I continuously asked the senders to cease sending them. Also, Audi no longer provides a manual transmission so the offer is pretty much moot to begin with. Last, the service costs are way to high even in the warranty period and the only people that can turn off the maintenance reminder is the dealership. In conclusion, its great looking and driving car with a dubious fuel delivery system and really poor support from the dealership and Audi of North America.

This is common on the Q5. Apparently there are two drain holes in the engine bay just below the windshield to allow water to drain out of the engine bay. These drains WERE NOW CLOGGED. The dealerships response was that they must have been clogged before. I find this assertion ludicrous as it SAT ON MY DRIVEWAY FOR 540 DAYS WITHOUT A DROP OF WATER IN IT!!!I took the issue to their GM, Jackson **, and he basically told me the exact same story I got from service. Which means he did no actual work and just regurgitated what he was told from service. I then took the issue to Jacquiline **, managing director, who did not get involved. I then took the issue to Audi of America who again repeated what the GM and service tech told me. So, I am stuck filing a claim with my insurance and having a vehicle with diminished value to flooding and both Sewell and Audi refuse to accept any responsibility. If you value your money I would stay as far away from both Sewell and Audi as possible.

We bought Audi Q5 2015 last year and we noticed as we turn on the AC a very strong bad smell comes out at the AC. First maintenance was done last June and they check it out with no resolution? But after weeks it came back again. We took it back and its been 3 weeks at Audi service. Hoping that they fixed the problem. My wife is not comfortable to turn the AC on because of the moldy smell. Anyone experienced with the same problem? U.S car products had corrected this problem with R134 by adding enhancement to dry out moisture build in to the condenser/air conditioning.

I am writing this message to alert those of you who drive Audi Q7. Last Thursday, I escaped disaster when my Q7 brakes failed while I was driving. I by Gods grace saved ladies and kids who were on the road. Moved the gear from D to P after which it started to slow down and then stopped. I reported the incident to Audi dealer. They got the car towed, performed all the tests and told me that the brakes are fine. And they confirmed it through tests and road tests. I know they are hiding the truth because of Audis image but my conscience is not allowing me to keep quiet and let someone else be the victim of the same situation.

I would like to know how to lodge a formal complaint about my Audi S3 and the dissatisfaction I have received from Audi roadside assistance and Audi Service Centre in Parramatta. When I first walked into the Audi Parramatta dealership when purchasing my S3, the level of service and communication was outstanding! I was so pleased with how I was informed every step of the way and the progress on when my car was being built. It all went downhill from there as soon as I left the dealership.About 8 months of owning the car the centre console panel started to flack up and peel exposing the aluminium underlay of the part of the car. Shortly after that my car overheated and the warning light came on for me to turn off my engine and put coolant in the car. I was stranded with my 1 year old and my 3 year old. I called the Audi roadside assistance and was told that someone would be there within an hour. 4 hours later no one turned up so I was forced to drive the car myself with my 3 year old and 1 year to the Parramatta service centre for them to add coolant to the car. Then I was emailed a survey about the roadside and because I gave them a 0 mark they called me the next day asking why I had marked them so low. I explained that I was left stranded for hours on end with my 2 kids under the age of 3 and had to drive my overheated car to the service centre myself. I was told by the person on the phone that the job was not logged and that is why no one came or called. Then when I booked in my car for the service I was told I had to wait close to 2 weeks for the new part to arrive. I waited weeks and no one from the Parramatta service centre got in touch with me so I had to call them to follow up with them to confirm my appointment and confirm the part had arrived. I dropped it off and had arranged a loan car. I inquired about the terms and conditions of the loan car agreement. I was told by MASON that I would have to pay $2500 excess regardless if I got into an accident and it was not my fault. So I couldnt even utilise the loan car which is why I asked for the loan car so I could use it for work. I missed an entire days work because of this information that was wrong! I was mislead and deceived into signing this legally binding agreement. Then to top it off after missing an entire day of work to have a part in my car changed, I was called at 3:30 PM to tell me the part had been damaged, mind you the car was dropped off at 8:00 AM that morning. There is no way it was damaged when leaving the factory in Germany, clearly it was damaged when the staff opened it. I know this because the Assistant Manager Chris told me that the part comes wrapped in bubble wrap and layers of other material to protect and it gets delivered in a box. I was then told I have to wait another week and a half for another part to come in.2 weeks later I am yet to hear anything from Audi Parramatta service centre. The website clearly states that first class service to Audi consumers when clearly that is not the case. What is the point of having an Audi if the staff cannot even communicate with its consumers, when they cant even advise its consumers of correct information on an agreement, when my car over heats and parts are damaged and when roadside leaves its consumers stranded? It is a joke that I have spent all this money on this car and to be so dissatisfied. No one at the service centre offered any sort of compensation or help with anything. Not even a sorry.Today after waiting 2 weeks for the new part to arrive I dropped my car off again to Audi Service Centre to have the part changed. I wasnt even called to pick it up even though I left my mobile number with Jeffery, instead my husband was called and when I got to Audi to pick my car up I had to wait 20 minutes as Jeffery was too busy to see me. He told me that he had delayed his lunch and that he had been waiting for me, what kind of employee at a service centre even says that to its customer? On top of that my car not only got damaged whilst they changed the part, the part they fitted doesnt even fit correctly and the installer has now damaged two parts of the console of my car. The worst experience Audi has delivered, worst service and lack of due diligence is unbelievable. I now have to wait even longer to have new parts brought in and I am told Chris or Jeffery will be in touch but it will be a while. The worst Service Centre ever!!!

Some of the stories on here are similar to my own... really bad Audi custom
Some of the stories on here are similar to my own... really bad Audi customer service (after sales, of course). Ive been a customer of Audi for 5 yrs and I have to admit I do change them quite often (6 in the 5 yrs). I cash purchase. (I now know its a big no-no to buy cash!... but Id never had a problem before.)Heres just a little of whats been going on with my Audi A4...November 2012...We traveled to Audi in Carlisle and purchased an Audi A4 (61 plate ex demo) for $18,990.18th December, 2012... We had an egg smell coming from the vehicle, we called a local Audi and we were told that the car is new and the smell will disperse as the car is new and the parts sometimes burn off excess oil?23rd December, 2012... During a family day out with the children, we traveled down the A1 to see family and do some last minute Christmas shopping. The smell and heat coming from the vehicle was very apparent, but after a call to Audi, we were told to ignore it, so we did. On the return journey, the car started billowing black smoke, and the heat and smell were strong enough for us to have to pull over and require assistance from RAC/Audi Assistance... We were told that the car had a clutch failure and it had to go into Audi Teesside for repairs.**I required a courtesy car during this period and Audi Assist, who knew I had 3 children, issued me with a 2-seater Audi TT!? This scuppered nearly all of our family Christmas plans, but as my gran was over from Germany and I knew this may be the last Christmas I have with her, I was determined to get to were she was from Teesside. This was a mammoth task with a family of 5 and a 2-seater car. Two of the children nor myself got to see gran before she left, unfortunately (she passed 2 weeks later).**9th January, 2013... I received a call from Gemma ** in Audi customer services to say that my car was being delivered back to me today as it has been fixed. It had apparently needed a new clutch, which had now been done, and we were able to take it back. She had just been informed from the dealers (Teesside Audi) that the work was complete.9th January, 2013... My car was delivered back at lunchtime with an invoice stating that my car had been fitted with a new clutch, and oil had been topped up (under warranty work). So I decided to drive to my local Tesco with my little daughter. Within half a mile, I noticed the smell initially, and the heat followed. I spotted some light smoke coming from the bonnet so I pulled over. I decided to call Teesside and spoke to Mark, who had apparently carried out the work, and I told him what was happening to my car. He said the car is going through what is called a regeneration and I was to ignore it and keep driving. I also rung Gemma and she said he knows what hes talking about, and with a new part, sometimes they give off a smell and I was to do what he said...I drove another mile up the road when my car once again was smoking and other road users and bystanders where signalling for me to pull over... Completely frightened and not knowing what to do, I quickly pulled over, and as I left my vehicle, a fellow driver approached and said that looks dangerous and I was to stand back with the little one... I did so, and he and another man cautiously opened my bonnet. With that, a ball of black smoke and fire shot from the front of my car... I called RAC/Audi Assist who came to me at the roadside. It took him 90 minutes to arrive at the vehicle and he stated that he could smell my car more than 100 yards away. He wouldnt move it whilst the car was still so hot, so he left it to be later recovered by Ron Perry (a tow company)... I called Gemma to let her know and she told me it turned out that Mark in Teesside had not even repaired the car, and she felt awful that shed allowed me to take this vehicle back when they hadnt done anything to it by way of repair... Marks excuse was that he thought I was imagining it!? But he had provided us with an invoice to say these works had been carried out? Gemma said she wasnt happy with what had happened and she felt somewhat responsible, so she advised that I put a formal complaint in writing to the branch about this technician and she was doing the same on her end as she felt partly responsible, and that she was referring my case to the executive office. My car was taken to the Audi Tyneside garage where they discovered that the clutch was completely burnt out and desperately needed replacing. Richard from Tyneside said that if the car had been driven any further, it could of been much worse. (I have to add that Richard and Mark in Tyneside gave me a fantastic level of care and commitment I felt looked after whilst in there capable hands...)2nd February, 2013... I receive a call to say my car is repaired and it can be brought back to me. 8th February, 2013... The car breaks down, clutch slipped. 14th Feb, 2013... I get my car back, but during a road test, it fails and the clutch fails again.21st Feb, 2013... The clutch was replaced again, and once again, I am given my car back. We were away 25th Feb to 11th March, and upon returning, the car wouldnt start. Once again, the car is towed, and were told that the 2nd base plate on the clutch has corroded and it needs another new part (a base plate?) 26th March, 2013... We get our car back, and for the first week or so, it seems to be driving o.k.4th April, 2013... The car has started pulling to the left and the egg smell and smoke has returned, we call RAC and have it towed to a different garage (Harrogate). Maybe some fresh eyes will help and finally give us a car we can use. We receive a call to say that the vehicle may be pulling due to the tyres, so by replacing them, this may help the problem. We paid 500+VAT to have the tyres replaced, only to be told two days later that during further investigation its been found that the clutch has slipped again. We were also told that the new model of Audi has a larger gap for the clutch, but as Audis are using an older model of clutch, the clutch is able to move around and this is why it keeps slipping. A new part is ordered again to replace the small one.22nd April... My car is brought back. Im informed that they couldnt fit the new part as it didnt work. All they could do is tighten the clutch and hope for the best, but during towing it back to me, my car was damaged during transportation. The low load driver couldnt apologise enough for the damage, and after letting me see what had happened, he took it back away again to have the damage repaired... I was utterly devastated and slowly losing faith and patience.29th April 2013... The car is brought back with no damage and the drive of it seems ok.6th May... The car stalls and the smell is back. The car goes in to Harrogate which is were it is now... Ive told them Im fed up now. I spent nearly twenty thousand pounds (which I paid for in cash) for a car which is wholly unreliable. And as Ive been told on at least 5 occasions it is Not fit for purpose, I called Audi and asked what my next step is as I believe Ive given Audi more than ample opportunity to repair my vehicle, which still hasnt happened. I have done everything Audi has asked of me and some and now I cant take anymore. I cant continue to put my children into something that I dont trust and is so unreliable. On the 9th of May, I wrote a letter of rejection for the vehicle to Audi UK and a copy went to the garage I purchased it from. I dont feel Im getting any further forward so Trading Standards Tanvir has requested that he take over this whole case. Hes advising I go to the press and sue for negligence, but this is not really my thing. I just want what I paid for - a prestige car from a prestige company, and as a loyal Audi customer for over 5 years, I dont want to go down this route.Last month, I contacted Martin Winterkorns P.A., who gave me Verena ** (VWG M.D- P.A) contact details name and number, and she said they will be able to help, which wasnt the case. They are now basically saying that if I remove my complaint against the technician, they will help; otherwise, pay for further work myself... The whole thing got passed over to Lee **, an Audi exec, and he is a complete plank who doesnt care about customers... service... duty of care, so Ive sent everything over to Motor Codes and theyre investigating.Sorry, its so long-winded, but I wanted to get all the details in. Does anyone know if theres anything else I can do? Thanks, guys.

After reading these stories, I had to write about my experience with a new 2014 leased Audi A5. About a month after I leased the car, it began to make a loud rattling noise every time I accelerated. I brought the car in 4 times over the last 3 months to try and resolve this issue. I have had a loaner vehicle for 21 days. I have been in constant contact with Audi USA customer service (800-822-2834) regarding this so that my file stays updated. After bringing it in for the third time, I requested that they replace the vehicle. They looked into it for me, told me to test drive cars that I would be willing to take in its place only to tell me a week later that my request was denied. At that time I had just picked up the car from its 4th trip to the dealership for service. Now I am going after them through an attorney that specializes in CA lemon law. Audi customer service is DISGUSTING. I get that a man made car can have issues but its how they handle it that is the problem. Do yourself a favor and give your money to BMW.

My purchase day was overshadowed by joy of buying a car, failing to see that Audi was not about the purchaser nor providing all 10s service. What has really maddened me today is I get a call I am thinking is a survey of my recent servicing, only to get hung up on, unable to express my concerns due to lack of professional communication. I thought I was saying yes to the rep saying all my information correctly. But after being hung up on, it left me wondering what was the call about. Not even a goodbye, thank you. Audi wants buyers to think they are for satisfaction but they only do things that is necessary just to say they have done it because they dont care if they have met the goal or provided customer satisfaction. I have been battling with them ever since my purchase but my concerns are not what they care to hear. I had to have a second delivery in which even direct, specified, unsatisfactory issues were not even addressed that I had pointed out in a written response. I wish I would have took my business elsewhere. Sometimes I wonder the true value of the whole deal.I wish there was another rep I could make a formal complaint to but I am going to keep long for that. It almost seems as if a $60,000 price means nothing to the dealer about committing to satisfaction. I have had a repair done and the console piece pop right off the next day, which clearly was not attached properly, only to have the same issue serviced again in less than 2 months. I see why people buy BMW and Mercedes. The service is better, the agreement is firm, and you are not judged. They make it known to please give us all 10s on the survey at Greensboro Audi but they are less than 6. I like my car but the way I feel about how they treat me, sometimes I just want to sell it back just to rid myself of the association with Audi.

Audis are great Cars. Audi A6 is my favorite model and I wouldnt choose any other vehicle. They come equipped for the buyer, and it can be personally customized to each individual. The appearance is great and unique in its own way... I love the details in and out of the car. It runs great, comfortable and lots of room. The options for personalizing the Audi A6 is off the charts and very amazing. I love the great quality and everything else you can choose. There is a decent amount of variety available if you are looking for something that fits with the Audi image. Most people are familiar with the models Audi has put out. The car I ended up getting in the end was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Its a pretty standard car size with a pretty standard passenger capacity. Carries four people comfortably, five if you stick someone in the middle in the back. Most of the extras I wanted came standard, and there were a few more things I hadnt thought about that were really appealing and I couldnt pass them up. I was able to personalize my choice in all the ways I had hoped to. Cars have gotten so fancy these days that its almost impossible to find a new car that doesnt come with a bunch of stuff standard that some people might not even want!

I have had to replace the turbo, water pump and thermostat at 61000 miles, my cooling fans keep coming on I take it to the mechanic and they are turned off then a month or two later the fans are back on again, the mechanic said he can find out why the fans keep coming on, I replaced the cooling fans two weeks ago. Now today I pull up in my driveway and the fans are back on again, I have spent over $5000 trying to keep this car running and it only has 78000 miles on this car, I will never purchase another Audi car, they are horrible cars.

My wife leased a brand new Audi Q3, after the first month the breaks were grinding and squeaking, took it in and they said they were fine, 2 months later same thing and they said they were fine but also that Audi has high performance brakes and this is normal!!! Actually gave us a pamphlet to prove it!! I took it to a different dealer who said they would have Audi look into it, brought it in and got the same response. I took the service manager out and test drove 4 other Q3s, (the loaner we got all the time did not have this issue) and 1 other had the same grinding issue. They say there is nothing they can do. One guy actually told me to go 40MPH and slam on the brakes a few times!!! LAST AUDI EVER.

This car brand is amazing, thoughtful and generous. They had a ton of variety of cars in the showroom and in the lot so you see the different models. The cars were clean and the dealer was as well. They also had catalogs of cars with different colors, features, and tons of custom options. The added features were clearly listed on the cars with their prices. The upgrades were not that highly priced as I would have expected. The passenger side was very comfortable and had a lot of features, more than my last car. The safety in airbags was also a good peace of mind.

Ive had nothing but problems with my Audi S6 since I bought it. Dealer just replaced 2 leaking high-pressure fuel pumps and 5 fuel injectors a couple weeks ago. I was driving home after I got it back and smelt gas but didnt really think much of it at the time and thought it may have been something I was driving past. The next morning when I was letting the car warm up and getting my kids ready for school, I noticed the gas smell again and saw the car spewing gas from the engine. Car was towed to the dealer and they said it was a fuel injector failure. Called Audi of America and they basically said sorry for your issues, but just deal with them; we dont care about you or your kids, in short. This car is unsafe and Id just like to warn everyone of this failure and the way AUDI responds to the problems. The car was running with no warning that fuel was spewing from the engine! Hows that for engineering? If only someone drove by and threw a cigarette butt, or I drove the car and the leaking gas ignited. This is now 2 fuels leaks; one right after the dealer fixed the other. Oh, let me also mention that the AUDI dealer had my car for 4-months to fix the first fuel leak! They were arguing with me that it was a bad battery in the car. It was only after some techs were sent in from another AUDI dealer that they discovered the fuel issues.

I have a 2010 A4 which has been perfectly maintained and cared for since purchased brand new from Pfaff Audi, the largest Audi dealer in Canada. At the time of purchase I was considering the S4 model but because of the price difference I was hesitant. One of the salespersons mentioned that Pfaff also have a tuning division that specializes in tuning German cars such as Porsche, BMW and Audi and I could have my car electronically chipped inexpensively and that because they were the Audi dealer the warranty would not be affected.Less than 3 years later with only 85,000 km (approx 52k miles) on the odometer when I took the car in for a regular scheduled maintenance I was informed that there was a broken piston. The dealer was quite sympathetic and acknowledged that they had never encountered this issue with such a relatively new car. They said they would make a request to Audi to defray some of the substantial costs involved in the repair.Audi replied that they would not consider helping in any way because (1) the car was past the warranty (85,400 warranty apparently is until 85,000 km) and (2) the car had been electronically chipped. Notwithstanding the fact that the tuning was done by an authorized Audi dealer and I had been assured that it would not affect in any way the warranty there has never been any suggestion that the tuning could have led to the piston breaking. In communication with Audi they completely disavowed any meaningful relationship or joint responsibility with the dealers claiming that they are independent operators. The fallacy of that assertion is obvious to all but the most credulous. It appears to me that the broken piston in such a new, well maintained car is likely a manufacturing defect. Audi refuse to acknowledge that but do implicitly admit that a broken piston is something that Audi owners may expect with no hint of apology or assistance. Quite the attitude from a so called luxury car maker. In summary I am out $10,000. On the Audi ledger they have lost 3 customers within my immediate family not to mention the scores of business colleagues and friends who are only naturally curious to know why my expensive new car was off the road for 3 weeks for repairs. Incredibly, Audi have managed to turn an Audi aficionado into someone who doesnt have a good word to say about them. All for the sake of a small contribution to my repair costs. At least BMW/Infiniti will be happy.

So I own a 2013 Audi A4 with 83000 miles on. This car is very bad and unreliable. The car burns lot of oil. Last time when I went to the dealer and told them about the issue the guy was like, That not our problem. This issue is a thing that Audi must take care of. I believe as we consumers should pay a dollar because many people have this problem and Audi should recall their A4s.

I love Audi so much and its like the best thing that I have. In most cases I look at the variety because thats an important key to look at. If a car has scratches, looks old, it doesnt qualify for the look you want dont buy it. Please use your money wise. The car isnt going to last for long. The passenger capacity is good and there hasnt been any complaints in riding smoothly. We just having fun and I love it so much. Upgrade is need. Once I didnt updated my car it was in bad shape. But when you upgrade youre like very happy and proud of yourself.

Audi is a great car. Reliable, affordable and gets good mileage. Plenty of models to choose from. I wanted a LX model and they had it. They also had a great sports model. Good variety. The car looked amazing and had so many things to do on the inside. The automatic computerized features were the most interesting to me such as the lane keep assist. Each model had several upscale options. It could be more spacious and have more leg room in the back. I realize this is the best designed car ever.

I leased an Audi A6 and just from the first day the car trembles heavily when I turned it on, and also at low speed it accelerates erratically, took it to the dealer at North Miami and they check the car and states that the car perform like similar vehicles of his class. My second complaint is that braking in high speed is poorly responsive and apparently the brakes are also fine. Called Audi Financial services and if I want to transfer my lease my name have to stay in the lease. I really have to accept I made a huge mistake to switch from my BMW to Audi.

I have been a customer of Mercedes for many years and decided this time to buy an Audi as I have a big dog that likes to travel with me so I tried the Q5. The car itself is fine but the service and follow up from Audi is horrific. The GPS system has never worked on the car, the maps are all outdated. When I called to get it updated I was told it would cost $795! to fix something that never worked on a brand new car! The same for spare keys (if you happen to loose a set) - $600 to replace! There is never a loaner car when the car goes in for scheduled maintenance and the staff (Audi in Osborne Park, Western Australia) are abrupt and apathetic. I will never buy another Audi in my life - back to Mercedes for us next time.

I have a 2012 Q7 with 125000 on the clock. I must say this is one of the most reliable and enjoyable vehicles I have owned. It never breaks down and just requires regular maintenance. As for people complaining about noisy brakes I find this only occurs if the pads are not properly bedded. As other posters said they are unwilling to do 5 or 6 fast stops from 60 mph to 20 in succession on a deserted road. If they did this as recommended by the Audi dealer this would bed the brake pads properly. This vehicle has high performance brakes not your cheap brakes found on most cars. I am so satisfied with Audi we replaced our Volvo with another Audi. When the time comes to replace the Q7 I will be getting another Audi.

How long does that go on for until they step up and fix the issue. They wont fix it because it will cost them too much. Every time I go to dealer service I get the same (its normal). It is not normal to have a constant squeal from pads. Very disappointed that the brand would do this to their loyal customers. My emails and case numbers from Audi USA are long and continue to give me the runaround.

Bought the new 2014 A3 s line 150bhp. Since buying the car, its been back to the dealers 8 times with a problem with the suspension. When going over speed humps, its grinding. Audi cant find the problem. Its been going on 4 month now and still the same. They have had a main man from London Audi to look at it. Said it needs some grease put in a bush???? But still same. Now theyre telling me it needs some different grease put on it and it could take another 2-3 weeks. Audi c/s been no help. Theyre saying it could be the characteristics of the car now. I bought a used car, a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T, from this dealer on 7-27-2012. The next day, the engine check light was on and I took it to a repair shop to examine it. Also, the coolant alarm keeps popping up. The technician told me the catalytic converter needs to be changed along with other issues. Fixing the engine check light problem will cost me $1,000, not to mention the two complete junk tires that need to be replaced. Furthermore, the system was recoded several months ago by the dealer. They tried to hide this information by storing code to the system so that the engine check light wont be back on unless you drive it for several miles. I only have this car a week. The engine was too hot for me to keep driving when I was on my way back home after I brought the issue to the dealer. He told me the car is fine. However, I have to stop and turn off the engine after driving two minutes because the engine was too hot. It took me five hours to drive 20 miles on the express way which was really dangerous. The dealer intentionally hid the major issue of the car from me - the buyer - and refused to fix the issue. Neither did he agree to get this car back and give my portion of money back. This is really a nightmare. It is really dangerous to drive a car at 20 miles/hour speed on an expressway and to stop it abruptly just to let the engine gets cooler. That is crazy.

We own an Audi A4, and loving it. The car was serviced regularly at Pacific Audi. The only problem we experienced was with the oil consumption, it took up oil like we have never seen in any car before. We complained a few times before warranty was up, but nothing was done. When we elevate our complaint (after warranty period), this is what Pacific Audi Svc folks told us because we waited too long, i.e. post warranty period, it will cost $500+ to do the oil consumption test, and if our car needs to have the piston replaced it will cost about $10K - $15K. We were livid. We took the car to Long Beach AUDI for 2nd option again. Our Audi A4 is a great car, handling is great. We are actually considering another Audi. We will NEVER return to PACIFIC AUDI again to buy or to have our car serviced. They always tried to gauge us. There was always a problem, if not one thing its another. We had to bring it to our mechanic for a 2nd opinion because we dont trust them, this time we took it to Long Beach AUDI. Read more if you want to know how much Long Beach AUDI charged us to fix the oil problem.

Audi A4 A 4.2 TDI Registration No. ** Dated 04/07/2012. Within 9 to 10 months of delivery started experiencing following problems: 1. From exhaust pipe emission of heavy smoking and some sparks. This problem was attended by Audi workshop at CST Kalina. While submitting car for above repairs also verbally report slight vibration & rubbing noises while driving. However, later part of the report was not record as the test drive inside workshop failed to reveal any problem with steering. Car was handed after dealing with exhausted Pipe smoke emission.2. Eventually after some time while taking out car from our Garage the cars steering system completely ceased and started giving indication that car steering system has failed. The car was collected by Workshop for repairs. However, we were dis-satisfied with to see such high end car having such major problems within 10 months of service. After much deliberation we were given a brand Audi A4 car without any charges. This gesture of Audi is much appreciated.3. New Audi A4 14th June, 2013 Registration No. **. Now we have started facing following problem again.A. Vibration of steering & rubbing sound while driving this was report to the CST Kalina workshop representative but the test drive inside workshop did not reveal any defect with steering. However, on my insistence to verify if the vibration was not coming or not drive the car 30-40 kms as same was not happening continuously. Repair representative agreed to my suggestion and car was left in the workshop. Later it was reported to me that they did find for short while steering vibrating & rubbing noises while driving for longer time.Workshop representative informed me the shaft is defective and same has to be changed. I was informed it will take one week to get spare shaft. Eventually it took three weeks to get the shaft and replace same. During this time no car was given to me to help me out to my day to day work. Whereas while purchasing Audi car we promised while the car is taken for service we will be provided service, we will given a car free of any charges. Now there is no vibration or rubbing noises. But the point remains why such high end car should have such problem with my 2nd car as well. This raises question is there Deficiency in Quality Control or some inherent manufacturing defect. As I have Extend Warranty the renewal of shaft was done under warranty but the point remain why I am experiencing such serious problem once again. Warranty will get over by June, 2017. What happens next if after warranty steering fails once again?By this mail I put on notice Audi India and I would to reserve the right for car to be repaired free of any charges if above mentioned major failure of steering happen sometime in future. I feel quality control is very poor as following problems will indicate: A. Cars locks failing (not operating) and for overhauling I was charged although no parts were changed. Why when the car is still under warranty? Locks failed to operate again within a week after overhauling.B. Car door mirror switch breaking and charged in spite of car under warranty. My last Car was Toyota Corolla which was with me for over seven years and never faced any of above mentioned problem whereas Audi with such good reputation giving so much problem. I doubt their Quality Control slackness and very poor manufacturing control. With this I am putting Audi India on notice for serious steering defect existing in their A4 Model.

I purchased an Audi A4 2.0 in March 2000 (**). The car had engine oil leakage and engine oil has to be topped up every 5,000 km initially and then the situation worsened to having to top up more and more regularly until now, top up engine oil every few hundred km! It was reported that my car was not the only one having this problem. Finally in November 2011, Audi Company, Euromobil Sdn Bhd (located in Kawasan Perindustrian Temasya, Shah Alam, Selangor DE, Malaysia) contacted me and informed me that my new car would be given an overhaul service and an Audi staff would contact me on when to send in my car. When I did not hear from them after a couple of months, I called and was informed that the person-in-charge had resigned and therefore did not respond to my calls. This indicates a lack of management coordination, no customer follow-up and the inconvenience of topping up the engine oil continued.Audi Salesman, Mr. Danny, managed to arrange with customer service executive, Mr. ** to have my car sent in on 20th February 2012 to Audi for the overhaul service. I was informed that it would require two weeks to have the car overhauled. I had made arrangements to rent a car for use while my Audi was in the service center. When I arrived, unfortunately, I was informed that the overhaul could not be carried out as there were too many cars being serviced and therefore could not attend to my car but I was informed it could be done the following week. Since I was there, I sent in my car anyway to have a minor body repair work and repainting and I was told that the overhaul would be carried out after that. When I went to collect two weeks later, I was informed that the overhaul was not done! Customer Service Manager, Mr. ** apologized and rescheduled the overhaul service for 26, March 2012. This time I requested Mr. ** to please arrange to provide me a car for my use when I next send my car for the scheduled overhaul. Mr. ** assured that he would try his best.On March 16, I contacted Mr. ** to check if he had managed to arrange a car for my use when my car was being overhauled and he confirmed he had made the arrangement. Therefore, it was confirmed that I could send in my car on 26, March 2012 and I expected to drive away in the car arranged by Mr. **. When I arrived, Mr. ** informed that the arranged car was not available. I was really upset as I have a business meeting at 10 am! Therefore, I had no choice but to drive away in my own car to attend the business meeting. Again, through no fault of mine, my car was not given the overhaul as arranged and assured by Audi!People buy Audi because it is reliable, stylish and comfortable. It is a pride to own an Audi and lots of pleasure to drive it. Customers have been assured of the dependable and good service, including after sales service. From what I have written, you can imagine how very upset, disappointed and frustrated I am with your distributor and their service. It has caused me lots of inconvenience, precious time and expenses in hiring a replacement car for use. I am officially lodging a complaint with your company.

I got this Audi etron with the security that I would have access to 150kw charging stations that would charge my car in 30 minutes (this is what audi is advertising on their website and what the sales person told me). This was a lie and they dont exist on the East Coast. You are lucky if you can find 1 nearby. The fastest charging time for my audi when its on 26% is an 1hr and 15 minutes on the only supercharge stations that exist which are 50kw (and if few of these exist, only 15 hour level 2 charging stations). This means if I want to go out of states I can not because it will add an extra 5 hours just to charge the car because unlike the sales guy told me it does not give you 250 miles but 204 miles (this depends on how fast you drive, if you are going uphill, and if you turn on the AC). They also sold me the brand new vehicle with all 4 safety handles missing. I am not comfortable driving the car because if something as simple as safety handles was missed what else could have been missed. I reached out to Bryan who was suppose to be helping me from the customer experience department and he told me there is nothing they can do. The car works fine and the service department is fixing the handles. I informed him that they did not fix or check my car but only took pictures. I informed him that I wanted a copy of my the final results that he told me over the phone and I am yet to receive this in writing so I can pursue litigation. They are trying to wipe their hands on selling me $100,000 car. And now I will fight them in court and I wont ever get another Audi vehicle. Getting this E-tron is the biggest nightmare of my life and neither Audi or the dealership are trying to help me by taking this useless overly priced vehicle back.

I have been attempting to use the Audi US website (as well as Audis global website) for over 3 hours as of 3:55 PM US Eastern Time on 28 April 2019. Audi - whether at their US or audi.com (global) website provides no way to contact Audi - whether by phone, by chat or by email and whether at their global or US websites to deal with this issue. I was trying to start the purchase of an Audi. So as to German competitors to Audi - both the BMW and Mercedes websites work perfectly and responsively. Given this experience, I will not be purchasing an Audi/Volkswagen/Porches for my new care, which I will buy in 2019. Custom leather seats crafted to meet the high standards Audi always adheres to and often exceeds are a favorite for me. This vehicle is eye-catching with very unique and sexy lines. The interior is just as impressive, modern, sophisticated, clean and perfectly positioned to maintain maximum control of this power packed superior machine. It feels as though you’re in the cockpit of your very own rocket ship at a creamy soft leather seat. I have purchased an Audi A6 2.7TDI in May 2010. The details of vehicle are as follows: Vehicle Type : AUDI A6 2.7 Tdi. Makers Name : Audi India. Fuel used : DieselThe vehicle is giving trouble continuously since the same was purchased in 2010. We furnish below the list of some of the major defects we noticed. The vehicle was sent for repairs to Hyderabad. 1. Water leakage problem occurred in September 2010, and the water pump was replaced with a new one. 2. The belt of the alternator was found to be broken. 3. Steering jam problem. 4. Brake problem was noticed after repairs en route; for example, Hyderabad to Nagpur. 5. Front wind shield cracked and replaced in October 2011. 6. Servicing and minor repairs in June 2012 at Nagpur workstation. 7. Fuel line problem occurred immediately after servicing at Nagpur workstation.8. During the past, the vehicle was stranded en route twice in the span of 2 years.First of all, in September 2010, we found some defects. The same was communicated to Audi India for the defects in the vehicle were water leakage, defective alternator, and defective steering jam. The vehicle was sent to Olympus Motors Private Limited, Hyderabad for repairs. While communicating the defect to you, I had already notified to please note I cannot pull on with such problems often & often in a new vehicle with only 7000 km of run. I am very much disturbed with problems like this, and as such, request you to kindly take back the vehicle, which is running with all these manufacturing defects. The vehicle was sent to Hyderabad for repairs for four times, but the problems in the vehicle continued. In addition to the above, some brake system failures were generated en route from Hyderabad to Nagpur, which was again repaired by Audi technicians, who came all the way from Hyderabad to Nagpur for these repairs. In October 2011, a crack was noticed at the left corner of the front windshield which gradually developed and was then replaced with a new front windshield by your Hyderabad-based workstation. However, every time, the vehicle needs to be sent to Hyderabad and received back at Nagpur in a closed van. The cost of transportation of Rs. 80,000 was incurred by us for replacing front windshield glass worth Rs. 40,000.The vehicle was continuously giving us trouble and was required to be sent to Hyderabad for repairs 4 times, but the list of the problems continue to be growing even today, though the same was sent for regular servicing and timely repairs at your authorized service stations. The vehicle continued to be out of order for some or the other reason. This vehicle was sent for servicing at your Nagpur-based workstation for servicing in the end of June 2012. Some or the other small manufacturing defects lead me to rethink about my decision of purchasing the vehicle and more particularly Audi-made vehicles. The manufacturing defects crop up every time and lead to dissatisfaction. After servicing the vehicle, some problem of fuel pump choke-up cropped up; and the vehicle was detained for about 20 days at the Nagpur workstation for getting certain spares. The net effect was that the vehicle remained idle for no fault of us, even if the same was sent for servicing on time. The vehicle is again sent for repairs on 21.07.2012, since the diesel leakage problem was noticed in the vehicle. It appears that the diesel tank was improperly fitted or alignment must have been disturbed. It is noted that the vehicle traveled for 30,431 km till date and remained with continuous problems with such a short run. I am very much perturbed and dissatisfied by the everyday problems in the vehicle. I therefore request you to kindly take back the vehicle. It is regretted to state that I am sorry to continue to own this vehicle any more, and therefore, Im inclined to request you to kindly take back the vehicle and refund us the cost I had already paid along with interest thereon at 18% per annum.

I have leased Audis Flagship Sedan A8 in June 2013. The array of different problems ranging from complete replacement of steering system to the faulty MMI screen unit appeared shortly after. Though I was not enthused by these shortcomings, I liked the driving dynamics of the vehicle and enjoyed beautiful warm interior design. The pinnacle of this technological marvel came around 12000 miles. I have noticed a humming noise coming from the tires. I took the car to the local Audi dealership. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the service manager informed me of the following: Audi created the unique size of the tire (265/40/R20) and there are only Pirelli tires available in this size in all-season configuration. All these tires are making humming noise, even a new ones. Therefore he cannot help me. He also stated that many of his customers complain about this problem and he personally dislike Pirelli products. I was left with no choice, but to continue driving and listening to this humming symphony.By 20000 miles the noise became so loud, that it was hard to listen to the radio or talk on the phone without raising my voice. I placed a phone call to Pirelli headquarters who promptly refused to replace their product under the warranty. Taking into consideration that Ive been a loyal Audi customer for 14 years, I decided to write a letter to the executive committee of Audi of North America. I have informed them that they installed a low quality product on their Flagship Sedan and they created the size of the tire which is not available from any other tire manufacturer but Pirelli. Therefore they are equally responsible for this error in judgement. I have received a reply from so called Regional Expert shortly after. The letter was written in a monotonous standard script, which is most likely mailed to all their valued customers. The bottom line of the letter stated that I am a valued member of the Audi family, but I can take my problem somewhere else. Any other correspondence I wrote to Audi of North America in this regard and their main office in Germany was left unanswered. So, I went ahead and replaced noisy Pirelli tires with the same noisy Pirelli tires for the cost of $1300.00 and continue driving and listening to this humming noise, but to a lesser degree, while counting the days until I return this leased vehicle and forget about this nightmare.I want you all to know, if you decide to acquire one of their vehicles and you come up with a problem, which cannot be resolved on the dealership level, do not expect any help from the company no matter how many years you had been a valued member of Audi Family and no matter how much money you had previously spent on their products.

I have a new 2017 Q7 Premium, 3500 miles. When pulling away from a stop sign or stop light, the engine pauses from time to time. So much so, that once in a while, it can be a safety hazard with oncoming traffic. Also, the GPS system works sometimes, and most of the time the routes are completely crazy, taking me 100s of miles out of the way of my destination. My car has been at the dealership for 5 days now, and they called yesterday to inform me that the pause is inherent to the vehicle, just get used to it! Audi A4- an 8 year, 97,000 mile, disposable car. I purchased a CPO 2010 Audi A4 in 2013 with low mileage from Tom Williams Audi in Birmingham Alabama. Since purchase, I have always had it serviced at Jack Ingram Audi in Montgomery, Alabama. Since owning it I have had two major engine issues and the last one has caused it to be a throw away car. Immediately upon purchase, with about 22,000 miles the car was burning a lot of oil and after continual visits to Audi for over a year, they informed me of the excessive oil consumption recall and it did not pass the excessive oil consumption test. Under warranty, the car underwent the #2 engine rebuild around 2014-2015 at about 35,000 miles. After that repair, everything seemed fine until October 2018, when the car began shaking and the engine light went on. I brought it to Audi and they said it was a fouled spark plug. However, 30 days later, with 97,000 miles, the car began shaking again but this time the engine light came on and was flashing and the car would not drive. I had it flat-bedded to Audi, where I was told there is an extended timing chain/tensioner warranty, so not to worry. Audi paid to replace the timing chain/tensioner but I was told I needed a valve job for 4100.00, because of damage to the engine when the timing chain failed. I was told because of a pending class action lawsuit that Audi would pay on a sliding scale which would be 25% for my year and mileage. That would leave $3400.00 cost to me for a car with a $4000.00 trade in value. Although being shocked about all this, I approved the work because I was not in a position to buy a new car, especially with $0 trade in money. However, I get another call today, telling me that there is more bad news, that at least two of the pistons had bent and there is something possibly cracked and I need a long block (ie new engine) for $11,000 of which Audi will pay 25% to repair due to the class action timing chain litigation. It makes no financial sense to spend $8250.00 (75% of the 11,000) for a car with a 4000 value. However, if I dont repair it, Audi owes me 0 for the total loss of my car that was working fine until the timing chain failed. So at 8 years and 97,000 miles, this Audi A4, luxury car is a throw away car. Audi should have had to cover the engine damage caused by the faulty chain. This is the lions share of the repair cost. I feel Audi should owe me the full trade in value of the car because it broke as a result of the timing chain which they admit was faulty. Audi customer service was curt and told me to file with the class action suit when I asked if they would consider paying anything additional (this was several days before the fairness hearing was held on December 12). I would never advise anyone buy an Audi after this experience.

Six months after purchasing a 2007 Audi A6 with 57k miles the steering control module required replacement. The cost to fix was $2,600. Because this obviously a result of poor engineering and not a wear and tear issue I wrote a complaint to Audi directly. Their response: We are sorry to learn of your issue however the car is not under warranty (they wont acknowledge the fact that this is a common issue as seen on many Audi forums) and because you did not buy at an Audi dealership and you are not a loyal Audi customer (1st Audi and last) we will not assist with repair. The point of my writing this is that their vehicles are over engineered and repair record and costs are absurd. Oh and dont even try to bring to someone other than an Audi dealership because they cannot work on them. And the dealerships know this full well!!! I am through with the 4 rings of death as my mechanic calls them and switching back to Lexus. Dont get taken by the looks of what I think is a great looking vehicle like I did. You will be surely regret it and be shopping for a new car ASAP.

I bought Audi A4, 2008 model sportline from a dealer in Jordan. After one month, I found that there is a major problem in the engine. I went to the dealer in Jordan who said that he cant repair the engine and he dont have any spare parts for the engine. The dealer policy is to replace the engine which cost about $16,250.00. We tried to find the spare parts from the local market but we cant so our car is stopped since three weeks. I dont know how people can buy Audi car while the dealer cant provide good service and spare parts. Actually, we pay $37,000.00 for such car but we cant use it because the dealer service is very bad. We lose too much for that and waiting for the AUDI company to keep their reputation.

My 5 year old Audi A5 with 54,000 miles needs a new engine due to Audi having fitted a faulty cam shaft adjuster and faulty piston rings. I was getting 200 miles to a litre of oil and the top of the engine being starved of oil due to the faulty cam shaft adjuster. My cars worth £11000 approx. The engine replacement is almost £12000. Having contacted customer services who said theyll try and help with the costs and have now said they wont. The dealer has managed to reduce the cost to £10,250. Im convinced its due to the above mentioned fault recall code 15d6. Im told you cant determine when that engine was made to clarify this. I just thought Id be shown a bit more goodwill as the cars only 5 years old.
