With a focus on quality design, modern technology, and enjoyable driving dynamics, the A3 remains a strong choice for urban commuters, young professionals, and anyone who wants Audi’s brand cachet in a compact form.

Design & Exterior Presence

The 2026 A3 carries Audi’s contemporary design language into the compact class, projecting both sophistication and sportiness.

Clean, sculpted lines give it a refined yet dynamic profile.

The front fascia features a bold grille and focused headlight design that emphasizes a modern, confident look.

Compact proportions keep the A3 agile and city-friendly, but high-end detailing reinforces its premium identity.

Whether in sedan or hatchback form, the A3 maintains an understated elegance that suits both daily use and premium aspirations.

The overall design blends sporty cues with premium touches, creating a vehicle that feels both practical and special.

Powertrain & Performance

The 2026 Audi A3 is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, engineered to offer a balanced mix of performance and efficiency.

Turbocharged engine: Provides responsive acceleration and solid midrange power for daily driving.

Automatic transmission: A smooth-shifting gearbox enhances both city cruising and highway progress.

Front-wheel drive is typical: With available all-wheel drive (quattro) on select trims for enhanced traction and confident handling.

Power delivery: Designed to be smooth and predictable, the motor pulls strongly from low rpm while remaining efficient during steady cruising.

The A3’s powertrain is tuned to feel lively enough for quick responses in traffic, yet refined enough to enjoy calm freeway travel.

Driving Experience & Handling

The A3’s chassis and suspension are crafted for a balanced driving feel.

Steering: Offers communicative feedback that keeps the driver connected to the road.

Suspension tuning: Aims for a blend of comfort and control — firm enough to feel secure through turns, yet compliant enough for everyday streets.

Agility: Smaller footprint and well-balanced weight distribution make the A3 easy to maneuver in urban settings.

All-weather capability: Available all-wheel drive improves confidence in rain, light snow, or times when traction counts.

The driving experience emphasizes everyday usability without becoming numb or disconnected — an area where many premium compact cars struggle.

Interior Comfort & Design

Inside, the 2026 A3 offers a premium cabin crafted with quality materials and contemporary design.

Seating: Comfortable and supportive for both driver and passengers, suitable for short trips and longer distances.

Materials: Soft-touch surfaces, refined accents, and attention to detail reinforce a premium feel.

Controls and Layout: Intuitive placement and ergonomic design emphasize driver focus without sacrificing passenger comfort.

The interior balances comfort and sophistication, making it feel upscale without being overly extravagant or unnecessarily complex.

Technology & Connectivity

The A3’s technology suite is designed to be both modern and driver-friendly.

Digital instrument display: Provides customizable information such as speed, navigation, and performance data.

Central infotainment screen: Integrates navigation, media, and vehicle settings in a responsive layout.

Smartphone compatibility: Wireless connectivity ensures seamless use of favorite apps on the go.

Adaptive cruise control: Helps maintain safe following distances on highways.

Lane-keeping assistance: Guides stability during longer drives.

Automatic emergency braking: Adds a protective layer in unexpected situations.

Blind-spot monitoring: Enhances awareness in urban and highway traffic.

Safety systems are designed to work intuitively, helping drivers feel confident without intruding on the driving experience.

Strengths of the 2026 Audi A3

Premium feel in a compact size: Attractive to buyers who want luxury without bulk.

Well-balanced performance and efficiency: Responsive engine tuning and refined driving character.

Agile handling: Compact dimensions and sharp steering make it easy to enjoy on twisty roads or crowded streets.

Quality interior: Attention to detail and material quality elevate the cabin above many rivals.

Modern technology suite: Connectivity and digital displays that support convenience and driving insight.

Trade-offs & Considerations

Cargo and rear space: Compact size means less cargo and passenger room compared with larger sedans or SUVs.

Ride firming at higher speeds: Suspension tuned for precision may feel firmer than comfort-focused rivals.

Premium fuel and maintenance: Ownership costs reflect the luxury brand position.

No electrification on base models: Buyers seeking full electric or plug-in hybrid may need to look at other Audi models.

Who the 2026 Audi A3 Is Best For

The 2026 Audi A3 is an excellent choice for buyers who:

Want premium brand appeal in a compact, daily-friendly package.

Appreciate balanced performance and refinement over outright sports-car focus.

Value quality interior materials and modern technology in a manageable size.

Prefer a vehicle that performs well in city traffic and comfortably handles highway driving.

Like the idea of available all-wheel drive for added confidence in varied weather conditions.

Bottom Line

The 2026 Audi A3 delivers a refined, balanced package that blends premium design, everyday usability, and enjoyable driving dynamics. It suits buyers who want the prestige of a luxury brand without stepping into a larger, more expensive SUV or sedan. With responsive performance, high-quality materials, and modern tech features, the A3 continues to be a compelling choice in the compact luxury segment — one that feels sophisticated, capable, and enjoyable in a wide range of driving scenarios.

I have never owned an Audi product, so I decided to lease a 2017 Audi Q7 3.
I have never owned an Audi product, so I decided to lease a 2017 Audi Q7 3.0 to determine if I would shift from the Benz and BMW world. The car is good, very good but I have problems with obtaining satisfactory maintenance service. My first bad experience was at Audi of Silverspring, MD where I schedule to take my car in and booked a Loaner. On getting there, I was referred to Enterprise somewhere at the back of the Audi facilities. Enterprise wasted my time and within one hour, the provided 2 cars that did not work. I called my Service Associate multiple times and left messages. I did not get him and he never replied my call. At the edge of one hour, I decided to go back to Audi. I still did not meet my Service Associate. I told them to give me my car and left in annoyance without doing the service (they have not started working on it after one hour). I took it to Audi of Bethesda, MD but was very dissatisfied with their service as well - location difficult to locate, no clear directions that the Dealership location is different from the Service Center, poor estimation of completion time, technicians handled the car roughly and carelessly. I tried reaching through the text I got but no response even though the text stated I could use it to reach my service technician - bad responsiveness. On the next one, I went back to Silverspring and planned to wait while the service was done so I would not run into issues of getting a Loaner car. I got my car back but before I drove back home, the lever used to open the Hood fell off like three times. I kept putting it back and it kept coming off. I then decided to keep it in the Glove Compartment but before that, I took a picture and sent it to the Audi Silverspring SMS text line that the Service Person uses to communicate. I explained and requested a callback. I never got one but after 2 weeks, I got a text asking if I was satisfied. I referred him to my earlier SMS with the picture but never got a response back up till now. I called to leave a message to advise I was trying to get this resolved before leaving an online feedback - no response. Great cars but very poor maintenance service department(s).

Bad vibration in new 2015 A8-L. The dealer who couldnt fix the car convinced the area service manager that the car was within specs and only changed the tires as a customer courtesy. I came out of a car that was practically identical and know the car well. My last vehicle was an 2011 Audi A8-L.

We purchased a Pre-Owned Audi Q5 from Audi-West Chester, PA that was burning a quart of oil per month by 30,000 miles. I notified the salesman and manager the same day of purchase that the add oil message had appeared on the way home. From that point on neither would return my calls or emails and were always in meetings when I showed up. By 70,000 we were burning a quart each week! All along we were told by Audi West Chester that this was normal for any 2.0T.Recently I scheduled an Oil Consumption Test to be done at another dealer that I have dealt with, Mechanicsburg PA which was a nightmare of a process. This dealer confirmed numerous times over the past 2 years that burning oil was normal while I was in for other service. When I returned to conclude the oil test I was told the engine was burning 3 quarts of oil per 1,000 miles and Audi would probably cover 75% of the repairs, but before they could submit a claim I would have to pay $289 for another engine test.Yesterday, I received a call saying Audi agreed to pay 25% of a $5,000 repair due to high mileage. The fact that I had written documentation of the problem existing at 30,000 miles made no difference. No part of this warrants the premium price paid for these vehicles. I hope the 2009-2011 2.0T class action law suit gets extended, then all 3 of my Audi vehicles would be involved in class actions. What a great company. Seeing Audi reduced the factory warranty after moving production to Mexico tells me Audi dealers know they must put on a good show in the sales department and then add some smoke and mirrors to rake in the cash for service. Great business model.

I am writing to express my severe disappointment with Audi USA. I purchased a 2006 Audi A6 4.2 taking delivery on March 17, 2008. I had the car certified and purchased an extended warranty. The car has been continually serviced and maintained by the dealership. On 5 July, the car wouldnt start and the check engine light came on. I had it towed to your dealership for service. Imagine my surprise when I was informed that the engine was destroyed due to a failed timing chain tensioner and the repair would cost me $11,073.001; the motor needed to be replaced. It is my experience that chain tensioners in motors with a timing chain are not a part expected to fail. My car only has 92,000 miles and I had been told the 4.2 is a rock solid motor. Apparently not. I thought that Audi would work to resolve the issue as a warranty issue, they did not. Research specific to the 4.2 seems to confirm that there is an issue with the timing chains and tensioners for that engine, though nothing official from Audi. Audi would cover only 50% of the parts to replace the motor. When I called Audi customer service, I was told that there was nothing they could do. I have owned Porsches, Mercedes Benz, Toyotas, Fords and Chevys. Up until July 5, 2013, my A6 is the only car I would buy again, until today. Not standing behind a product is not what I had expected from Audi. It seems that when Audi says truth in engineering, its just marketing. Audi has graciously offered $3,500 toward a new vehicle.

I have a 2014 Audi Q5 and recently for no reason whatsoever, the power steering failed and nearly caused an accident. I mentioned it to my local Audi service department and had them look at it while it was in for 3 other recalls. They agreed that the power steering was not responding and it would have to be replaced. I explained to them that the car is barely driven and has never been in an accident. And I find it unacceptable that a car company that has built a reputation on handling and drivability would have a complete steering failure at 40k miles which they informed me is just out of warranty. I was told at my local Audi dealership that It would have to be paid for out of pocket so I called Audi customer support. This was over 2 weeks ago and since then I have gotten no clear information on the issue. I have been through 3 customer service reps and they have changed stories multiple times. The second to last time they informed me that there was a program that the local Audi dealership has to help in situations like this. So I went back to Audi only to find out that they have no such program and they werent even told about this from the customer service rep. I was supposed to receive an answer almost a week ago and it keeps getting pushed off. At this point I still can not drive the car or else risk getting into a serious accident. I also want to point out that I did research and found out that the SQ5 version of this Audi has a recall on the same issue. I further researched it thinking that the steering system was different only to find out it is the same part number. This is clearly a defect and Audi should be responsible for fixing it. I cant even get a clear answer as to what it would cost since the dealership has changed the price on me multiple times. At this point the car cant be driven and I dont see why I would need to spend up to $3,500 to replace the entire power steering rack on a car with low miles that has been well taken care of. I also dont trust the service department at my local Audi since they informed me that my brakes and rotors need to be changed yet I just had them done about 1,500 miles ago. I am at a loss with Audi and just want the steering replaced so I can safely trade this in on a different brand vehicle or sell it out right. I dont feel safe driving it and I wouldnt want to sell it to someone else as is. If this car is driven it will cause a severe accident.

Took my 2014 A-7 in for new tires and asked them to check the vibration I get when I apply the brakes. They came back to me and said I was an aggressive driver and the rotors were warped. Only had 26K miles on the car! After complaining they offered to take like 40% off. I declined. Audi is aware of the defective rotors on their cars and does not stand behind the product. I had a BMW 745 and a BMW 550 that both went full lease with 50K miles on them and they never needed any rotors. I will never buy or lease an Audi again and suggest everyone else do the same. Oh, I asked if I needed new brake pads and they said mine were fine. So much for their defense of aggressive driving.

My new car has 10,000 km. On a very cold morning this past January, my power steering malfunctioned while I was driving home. No steering is a very scary experience. Thank God I was not far from my home and could walk to my house. The steering column was changed. Two days later it happened again. This time I was told to let it warm up for 20 minutes and the power steering came back. Last Friday, it happened again but this time after idling for one and a half hours, I still had no steering. I am female and do not have the strength in my arms to steer without power steering. Apparently, this problem is common with S4 & SQ5, since 2014, when it is very cold. The steering column is being changed again. I called Audi Canada and was told that this problem is caused by extreme cold weather. The dealer told me to let it warm up for 30 minutes before driving it which makes no sense to me just to go to the corner store. I love my car but now feel very insecure when driving it. There is no recall for this part that keeps malfunctioning. If Audi sells cars in Quebec, then they should be reliable in cold weather. So much for their TV ad that boasts winter is Audi land!?!

Audi has enough variety to make the whole family happy. Or if its just for yourself, you can find something stylish that youd enjoy on a day to day basis. Features are great and top of the line. Most up to date technology used in the vehicle. Safety features are very helpful, and the rest can keep you entertained. There are many upgradeable features you can put in the vehicle. You can customize it and make it your own. At an extra cost of course. The passenger capacity depends on how many people you plan to carry around with you. Whether your family is large or small. For mine, we can all fit comfortable and have a good time.

The issue that I have experienced was: 1.5 months back I had my 5 year old Audi A3 cut out on the motorway due to the engine mis-firing. I had RAC tow the car into Audi Nottingham where they said one of the injectors had failed which caused fuel to enter into the engine and cause this issue. I paid £1200 to get this fixed. A month later the car cut out again with the exact same symptoms, so I had it taken into Audi Sheffield. After having the car for 2 weeks they are still not able to re-produce the failure but can confirm from the vehicle computer system that the engine is mis-firing. After buying a premium car, and having it taken only to an Audi dealer for any services/repairs it is really disappointing to experience first hand the lack of quality with both the car and the service received. It occurred on: 11/06/2019.This meant that I was put in danger by the engine cutting off on the motorway. I was left without a car for 2 weeks during the initial breakdown. I was left without a car for another 2 weeks during the second week. I have lost all confidence in the car, the Audi group and the capability of the Audi technicians who are meant to be the best at what they do. I would like Audi to take ownership for selling me a car with a faulty engine and actually get it fixed. There comes a time when they need to stop looking for every excuse as to why the car engine is failing and look into what is causing the engines to fail in a car that is 5 years old with 60K miles on the clock. This is the most disappointed I have ever been with a car company or the services I have received from any car OEM! I look forward to your prompt response on this matter.

My prepaid lease on my 2017 Audi A8L was expiring. I did not receive any communication from Audi Financial that I was welcome to lease another Audi. All that I received were emails and phone calls from Audis contractor wanting to inspect my vehicle before the lease expired. When I called my otherwise good local dealer for help/advice, I was told to call Audi Financial. There is no communication between Audi Financial and the dealer. I called Audi Financial about purchasing the A8L, and was promised a mailed package that I could complete. I never received the package. It became obvious that Audi did not want to take the effort to keep me as a customer. I sold the car to Carmax for a small profit, and bought a BMW 7 series. I will not buy another Audi.

I bought my 2016 Audi Q5 in air day weekend of 2016 and Ive had 3 separate issues and now 3 recalls in the car within a matter of 9 months. 30 days in my sunroof started to rattle so bad it sounded like the glass was going to fall out. Take it to have it fixed and issues with getting a courtesy vehicle. I got a small A3 which is not comparable to a Q5... Just pointing out the obvious! Also they werent very thrilled about giving me a car even though that was used a sales tactic because that was one of the things I liked about their service and having a luxury SUV! They had to take out the sunroof and put something around the whole thing so it doesnt rattle. Issue was fixed and hasnt come back.Came back in probably 2 months after that when other random rattle sounds started to pop up. One in the back trunk area and one by the dash. Again did not want to give me a courtesy vehicle and again I had to insist. Im a mother of a small child, that time is precious to me and Im not sitting in a dealership with a small kid, no thanks! Trunk issues resolved, front they couldnt figure out and I hear from time to time. Now the final one is my window makes a high pitch screeching sound when I roll it down. Seems to happen in hotter weather. This is getting looked at this week and the 2 out of 3 recalls! This car has been plagued with problems and not the safe luxury SUV I spent $50,000 on to keep me and my daughter safe! Im so disappointed and disgusted with Audi and how Ive been treated. This is not the service or car I expected from them at all!! I called Audi America today and was told they couldnt buy my car back because it had recalls! Really? Why do you think I want to see it back to you, Audi??? Im not safe in this malfunctioning car you sold me!!! And now you dont want it back? SHOCKER! As for the dealership, they can care less and are so rude it blows my mind! Huge mistake buying an Audi! Shouldve stuck with Infiniti!

I bought a ex demonstrator Audi A6. To be fair its a beautiful car in every way. Its the third Audi I have had after switching from BMW. My car broke down over three weeks ago and had to be recovered to an Audi dealer for diagnosis of fault. They told me a few days later that the battery had failed and that batteries for Audi Cars were on back order... We are into week 4 now and No sign of battery! The dealer eventually put me into a new Q5 but it simply is not the same car or of the standard that my car is but it has kept me on the road. Now you only find out how good a company is when they have to resolve a problem and Audi UK customer service is hit and miss, my first contact was excellent, but the second when I complained why my car was still not rectified could not give a hoot! In fact the belligerent attitude of the lady dealing with update was very dismissive. Someone employed by a top brand to help was totally unhelpful. Anyway the issue here is my car has been with Audi for over 4 weeks now and there is no end in sight, I feel sorry for the dealer as this is a AUDI UK problem and I hear that a bad batch of batteries might be the reason. So think on when you walk into the showroom and they are wow-ing you they are only as good as the time when they have to sort out a problem. I suppose the other side of this issue is that its made me look at another brand and I will test driving their car tomorrow and Audi will probably lose me and those I come into contact with...what a shame.

Quattro is the wagon 4.2 liter inline six cylinder all wheel drive dream car I own. I wanted a sportscar with room for all the kids and cargo. This is a wagon thats an Audi! Two thumbs... only Porsche has anything close to its class (in my eyes). I find my car incredibly beautiful with a sporty look and room for everyone. Lots of horse power to the wheels and luxury everything inside. I did get upgraded rim size and style and performance in the stock rims. They actually got me a set of official 19 inch Audi touring race car rims, so I didnt mind the great but overpriced touring sport tires they sold me when they got in.

In 2007, I purchased a 2003 Audi convertible A4 - 3.0. A few months after purchasing the car with 40,000 miles on the car and 1 month after the warranty expired, the CVT transmission went out. I contacted the local Audi dealer after a lot of wrangling the dealer reluctantly advised Audi would help me with 50% of the repair cost. My portion of this bill was $2,800. 40,500 miles after the transmission was replaced, I need yet another transmission. I called the local Audi dealer and was told that they warrant these transmissions for only 1 year. I asked if Audi would cover a portion of the cost of another transmission and he said no. I called the Audi headquarters and again was told that they only guaranteed the transmissions for 1 year. The lady I spoke with told me that they covered my first transmission replacement at 75% of the cost (I was told 50% by the dealership) and by my calculations, if they covered 75%, then the replacement transmission cost was in the range of $11,200! Bottom line: Audi has a faulty CVT transmission and they should back their product. I realize nothing last forever, but three transmissions within 80,500 miles is ridiculous!

I bought an Audi 3 in July 2010. After only a few months, I already noticed a problem with the oil. There was always a red warning light. After referring the problem to Germany, they replaced all the piston rings and engine gasket. They have also replaced the battery, and recently, the ignition switch, because the car would not start after several attempts. It was very embarrassing to have an Audi, which only over a year old, to be towed because it wont start. With all these abnormal malfunctions in a 16 month old car, it is obviously a lemon. Of course, the car dealer would not admit that it is defective. I am demanding a replacement, but they refused. I was informed that the 2-year warranty covers only parts and service, but not replacement . It is totally disappointing to have a car that claims to have high end technology, but would not start! Is there no manufacturers warranty from Audi? I no longer want to use a car that can compromise my safety!

I am Disha and I bought an Audi Q7 for Rs. 94 lakhs from Bengaluru, two years and four months back. The reason was its speed as I had to travel to different cities and it was a business requirement too. I bought two more Audis for my business officials and purpose. But my experience with Audi is very bad. The first Audi car of mine is Q7 and it is a little over two years old. I have spent Rs. 45 lakhs on my Q7 already for it to run efficiently. Currently, I gave the Audi for service purposes a month ago and I have still not got it back in spite of me paying the full amount. The excuse is that they are not able to get the automobile parts and its still to reach India from overseas. I now curse myself for my fleet of Audi. I have a Q3 and an A4 too which are also the same and I had spent huge amount of money on them just to keep them running. Along with the performance of the car, high maintenance cost and bad after sales and dealership services I still thought of keeping my cars but I am not able to get my car back after giving it for servicing. So I regret my decision of buying the Audi cars and would not recommend anyone to buy such cars or any of Audi cars at all. My name is Disha and I am an established businesswoman of Bengaluru.

We were offered 3 year new car warranty for $3,500, which we paid up with also no questions asked. On the 21st, we were asked to pick up the car at 10 am on the 22nd. We came at 10am and the car was not ready. We waited for 2 hours. There was a problem with the Audi but they didn’t tell us exactly what, they just said it’s not a big deal. The day before, we explained to them that the car must be ready at 10am as we were driving to Melbourne. We were then approached by a group manager who said that we can’t have the 3 year warranty, it was a mistake and that we can have a 2 year warranty for $2,600. We did not want to accept this. Finally, they agreed to give us as promised 3 year new car warranty for $3,500 but the lady that does that was away so they promised the next day I would get the paperwork for the warranty from Anna Marie. Of course, I never did. I called 3 times and finally got the paperwork but it was for the 2 years, which is not what was promised. Therefore, there was a lot of emailing back and forth. After 2 weeks of having the car, the seat broke and the buckle broke cup holders jammed. We did a diagnostic scan of the Audi computer which showed engine faults and other faults. Vince ** from Audi Alto NSW confirmed there is nothing wrong with the car. Since the car was under the 3 month warranty Audi Brighton (Melbourne) had to get approval from Audi NSW, which has taken 3 days and I still don’t have my car. A week ago when I went into Audi Brighton, someone looked at the car and noted all the problems and made me an appointment for a week’s time. At this point, that dealer knew that the car was from NSW and that it was under the 3 month warranty but they didn’t bother to contact anyone in the meantime. So on when I took my car in, they said it will take approx 5 hours and will call me when done but they realized that they need Audi NSW approval. 3 days has gone past and my car is sitting in Audi Brighton and they still haven’t touched it. Both the dealers are lying and making up excuses. I am fed up with this. I just want my car fixed as it hasn’t even been a full month. I don’t think that it was appropriate that Audi NSW sold me a faulty car or at least didn’t tell me about it. I have not yet experienced something as horrible as this. What can I do? What are my rights? This is just shocking.

These vehicles tend to be extremely visually pleasing, stylish and sleek. These are usually futuristic looking and quite stunning to see. And these vehicles tend to be quite accommodating to multiple passengers with the exception of the spot models. They usually have great leg and head room. Great size for families or large people. And there is a fair amount of variety and selection. I do feel they are highly overpriced when it comes to maintaining the vehicle. They can be reliable but when they break parts can cost more than the vehicle itself. Custom wheels, custom sound systems, custom paint and custom interior options. Also custom accessory packages. These custom features tend to increase the price dramatically.

My car is a 2004 3.0 Liter A4, with mileage around 250,000 km. While driving 60 kph, the oil warning light flashed and the engine quit. I thought it was the timing belt but when the mechanic took the heads out, he discovered the engine seized up due to thick sludge that clogged the oil filters, starving the top part of the engine damaging the heads. The timing belt was not broken but stripped. The engine had to be replaced.I found one 2005 A4 which had the exact same problem of oil sludge but in better shape. The repair cost over $7,000. I submitted a claim to Audi Canada but was denied. The reason was the oil sludge warranty extension covers up to 10 years, but mileage limit is 190,000 km. I was told this warranty extension was issued in June 2011. In the U.S., the same program has been in place since 2004 and there is no mileage limitation; however it covers only 1.8T engines from 1997 to 2004. Why is Audi Canada only offering the oil sludge warranty extension only in 2011, 7 years later compared to Audi America? Why are we Canadian owners not provided with the advisory? Anyone with oil sludge problems with 3.0 liter engine? Please email **. Im planning to take action against Audi Canada for not providing and advising owners the oil sludge warranty extension advisory.

Bought a new 2012 A6 18 months ago. About 3 weeks ago started getting a strong mold smell coming from the AC. Took it to the dealer who said they had repaired it, but the smell persists. Scheduled to go back tomorrow for more work-- they mentioned installing charcoal filter and ensuring that the water drains are clear. Worried that we are inhaling large amounts of mold by following their instructions to keep running the AC. Anyone have similar problems? Cant stand the smell much longer.

My Audi experience has been a nightmare. My wife and I bought a 2011 Q5 on April 4, 2011. When the car had 28000 miles on it, the low oil light came on. We were told it was from a defective hood latch, which the dealer replaced. The light came on again in several thousand miles and we were told this time it was a pressure regulating valve, which was replaced. The light came on a third time and we were told an oil consumption test needed to be initiated. I know its hard to believe, but the oil light came on a 4th time. Day Audi of Monroeville advised me that VW/Audi had a known defect with their 2.0 turbo engines and I would need the pistons and rings replaced in the vehicle. First they needed to send the oil consumption results to the Audi Corporation and get the work approved. Audi advised the dealer that my Audi, which only has 40,000 miles on it, was consuming a normal amount of oil, and no further repairs were needed. The dealer advised the oil light would continue top come on, just bring it in and get it topped off when it does. They also offered to buy my vehicle back at a lowball auction price. Audi is a joke of a corporation that could care less about their customers. I would never recommend a Volkswagen or Audi to anyone as a result of being treated in this manner.

The vehicle has never missed a service and yet it has had issues since the very first week it was purchased new from Audi Centre Perth in May 2010 for just over $100,000.00. See the History of excess oil consumption which is ongoing, gearbox malfunction at 62,000km, and now the catastrophic engine failure at 102,000km, due to the faulty timing chain tensioner. The most disappointing thing of all is that once you actually begin to investigate these issues it is very clear to see that Audi were well aware of these issues all along. In fact, only after legal action in the USA, they agreed to rectify these issues at no cost to owners. The oil issue is covered for an extended 8 years or 88,000 miles for 3 options of rectification, and the engine failure due to the faulty timing chain tensioner is covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles with a replacement of the engine. However by far the worst part that I find completely outrageous is the fact that there was a recall in the USA of all vehicles with this engine type to replace the faulty Timing Chain tensioner due to the significant number of engines having to be replaced, yet Audi Australia failed to even advise owners of the high probability of a catastrophic engine failure. The lack of disclosure to Australian owners denied them and me the option of even paying for a replacement tensioner, at a much smaller cost, and prevent what appears to be the inevitable engine failure and the significant cost to rectify that. The exact situation that I find myself in now.The failure of Audi Australia and the Audi Service Centre to inform me at any stage that there was a known defect in the timing chain tensioner, and advise me that it would be wise to replace it at a small cost now, rather than be left with an enormous unexpected cost down the track. The cost is one thing however the absolute inconvenience of the vehicle being off the road for 3 weeks now, combined with having to hire a car and not being offered a loan car after 3 weeks, is also unacceptable.

I have a new 2017 Q7 Premium, 3500 miles. When pulling away from a stop sign or stop light, the engine pauses from time to time. So much so, that once in a while, it can be a safety hazard with oncoming traffic. Also, the GPS system works sometimes, and most of the time the routes are completely crazy, taking me 100s of miles out of the way of my destination. My car has been at the dealership for 5 days now, and they called yesterday to inform me that the pause is inherent to the vehicle, just get used to it! As for the GPS, corporate office knows it doesnt work, and they may or may not try and fix it?? So, this vehicle costs a pretty penny, but aint worth it. Im offering to leave it on their lot and walk away if I can have my money back??

Horrible experience with Audi Financial! Despite being a loyal Audi customer for years, owned many of their cars and (always paid on time) they treated me so bad. Charged me money after return of a lease (for change of a tire) without properly communicating with us and next I receive a letter from collection agency. And when I call to clarify they mistreated me again on the phone (somebody name Marco...). So disappointed. Dont buy Audi!

I recently leased a 2021 Audi Q5 Sportback and after riding it for a couple of hours I noticed that the engine makes a whistling noise at low RPM (around 1500) when accelerating. This is loud enough that you can easily hear it on highways. Moreover, the turbo makes a loud hissing noise whenever I accelerate. I also test drove 3 more Q5s and they all made the same noises (both whistling at low RMP and high hissing noise). So, I took it to the dealership to exit out of my lease and they said since this issue is happening on all the cars there’s no easy way to get out of the lease and they can buy back the car and the sum of money out of my pocket was 11,000 dollars. So, I called Audi USA and they said they cannot do anything with lease termination and there was basically no way for me to get out of the lease without losing too much money. They suggested I should take it to my local service to thoroughly diagnose this and I did. They gave me a report that quotes: Customer states at low rpm there is a whistling sound coming from the engine. Customer went on test with shop Foreman previously. Technician performed road test and confirmed whistling noise. Technician scanned vehicle and found no faults or DTC pertaining to engine bay. Tech was able to test drive identical model to compare and found noise is normal and from wastegate opening high speed/ low RPM under load. Vehicle is operating as designed. So basically, the engine of a $61K German made car makes different types of noises, and they call it operating as designed and there is no good solution that I was given by neither the dealership nor Audi USA. So, if you are sensitive to random engine noise (this is by far different from cool sporty engine sounds) Id steer away from Q5. This is my first lease from Audi and will never come back.

This car will last me forever. Great high end car. Comes with all the bells and whistles like your butt to be warm. Love the leather which means I get heated seats. The sunroof is so great to have even if you only need a little air. Automatic windows are great. Could use a few more upgrade but for the most part I am happy with what I have and could not dream about getting rid of it anytime soon. There is plenty of leg room for everyone. There is even 3rd row which is nice when you ride the extra room. I would never get rid of my car.

I have a 2012 Q7 with 125000 on the clock. I must say this is one of the most reliable and enjoyable vehicles I have owned. It never breaks down and just requires regular maintenance. As for people complaining about noisy brakes I find this only occurs if the pads are not properly bedded. As other posters said they are unwilling to do 5 or 6 fast stops from 60 mph to 20 in succession on a deserted road. If they did this as recommended by the Audi dealer this would bed the brake pads properly. This vehicle has high performance brakes not your cheap brakes found on most cars. I am so satisfied with Audi we replaced our Volvo with another Audi. When the time comes to replace the Q7 I will be getting another Audi.

The first years servicing was included in the price but we were still charged for it and only after 4 attempts was this resolved. Im one very disappointed customer in Audi brand and this will haunt me for the rest of my life and I doubt the credibility and integrity of Audi. Customers mean nothing to Audi in my view. My car has been lying in the Audi Polokwane branch for the past 5 months, I gave the dealership authorization to fix the vehicle on the 8th of February and they have never contacted me to give me any update on the progress since then no loan vehicle in the 6 months. Im still paying for the vehicle on a monthly basis and have to make alternative travel arrangements and also save money towards the hefty bill of approximately R67 000 initially R103 000. In all this Audi doesnt care how their loyal client to survive. My service history shows you that I depended on the vehicle because I used to service it on average every 3 months (15 000km). Its my only vehicle. Im struggling to carry on with my daily duties and AUDI JUST DOESNT CARE. To them it seems it was just GOOD RIDDANCE to rubbish when they sold me the vehicle. This A6 is my second Audi but honestly after this treatment I doubt I can ever buy this brand again. Now I doubt everything about the brand from Customer Service/Quality/Integrity/Reliability/the ability of mechanics (I meant why would an overhaul take 4 months, when its new parts) to Durability. A 2.5-year-old vehicle requiring an engine overhaul whilst my family has a 24 yr old Toyota Corolla still going strong, maybe Im comparing apples with bananas, a good strong well-built quality affordable Japanese vehicle with an expensive poor quality German vehicle I dont know.Below is a statement from the Audi South Africa website and honestly to me none of it, is true looking at my situation. e.g. Vehicle has no quality, I mean it essentially requires a new engine at 130 000 km, I get no support, I dont feel respected either. Our relationship is just based on me losing out in many ways. Also I dont think the cars are revolutionary but quick fix to last 2 yrs or less.Audi After Sales - Quality and Prestige - The day you purchase your Audi, you dont just buy a car. You become part of a legacy that is characterised by innovation and beauty, prestige and quality. You begin a relationship founded on mutual respect and admiration that progresses into the bonds we form with you through our valuable services and aftercare support. That is why we dont stop at designing revolutionary cars, we also go on to design outstanding support products specifically created to meet the exacting needs of the discerning Audi customer.Im a very dissatisfied customer and I strongly believe this vehicle had a factory problem though I may not be able to prove it. How can an injector which is part of the fuel system fail without warning? I believe its taking forever to fix (4 months) because it was never assembled properly and I was used to get rid of it, its an engine rebuild at my costs nogal. As I mentioned above, it was just a case of GOOD RIDDANCE. I believe this problem on the vehicle is probably unheard of on this models but Audi just wont admit. Otherwise it could have been sorted in 2 weeks at most. Its a factory fault. This is poor customer service of the highest order. This whole experience has left me traumatized badly. It has also changed how I perceive Audi considering I was such a loyal customer having bought my 1st Audi in 2011 (A4 1.8T).

I drive a 2012 Audi TT RS. Life got in the way and the vehicle sat on my driveway (not running) for 540 days. During this time not a drop of water entered the vehicle cabin. BONE DRY!!! I finally got around to bringing the vehicle in for service. They replaced the battery, flushed the A/C, brakes and performed an oil change. They also performed an exterior and engine bay detail. Within 10 days the vehicle had 3 inches of water in the passenger side floor.I immediately called my dealership, Audi Sewell North Houston, and their response was, Oh, yeah I know what is going on. This is common on the Q5. Apparently there are two drain holes in the engine bay just below the windshield to allow water to drain out of the engine bay. These drains WERE NOW CLOGGED. The dealerships response was that they must have been clogged before. I find this assertion ludicrous as it SAT ON MY DRIVEWAY FOR 540 DAYS WITHOUT A DROP OF WATER IN IT!!!I took the issue to their GM, Jackson **, and he basically told me the exact same story I got from service. Which means he did no actual work and just regurgitated what he was told from service. I then took the issue to Jacquiline **, managing director, who did not get involved. I then took the issue to Audi of America who again repeated what the GM and service tech told me. So, I am stuck filing a claim with my insurance and having a vehicle with diminished value to flooding and both Sewell and Audi refuse to accept any responsibility. If you value your money I would stay as far away from both Sewell and Audi as possible.

It was horrible. This was my first time buying a used car and it turned out to be the worst experience of my life so far, with all the headaches, confusion, lies and scummy dealers and dealerships. On June 1, 2010, I purchased (financed) a 2005 Audi A6 with 58,000 miles. The car was treated and maintained, as told. By the end of January, I experienced almost a near death accident while on my way home driving the car. It began to shake out of control. The steering wheel locked up and the brakes locked up. I was scared for my life so I pulled the emergency brake. And before I hit the car parked to the right of me, the whole car shut off completely and wouldnt start. I thought I needed a jumper but that wasnt the answer so I had the car towed to the nearest parking space until Audi of Manhattan opened for business the next morning.I paid for the car to be towed there where they diagnosed that my 6-month old investment’s engine failed and seized up. I got the estimate of repairs from the dealership. They told me it would cost a whopping $6,000 for a new motor and about $3,000 for the repair work from Audi. I was sad to hear the news but was confused, alongside with the service team, at why a motor with 64,000 miles would seize if there was nothing wrong and the car was treated like a charm.I finally got enough money, after a few months of parking garages and receiving tickets for my car being unable to move, to pay for the repair. I spent $3,999 on a motor and about $1,000 on repair work.Im writing as an innocent consumer who faced an evil and crooked dealership without the knowledge of what they were capable of doing. And thats ruining innocent consumers like me life and pockets as we know it. I was stuck with a car that was unable to move, let alone start, so I can drive. Paul ** offered no assistance. Audi of America was no help either. Thats why Im turning to this consumer help and small claims court to seek the justice I deserve and stop the crooked dealers out there from destroying another consumer’s hard work and earned money.

I purchased a pre-owned vehicle at the end of May, 2009. I had previously used this dealer in Mendham NJ as I had purchased a New Vehicle many years ago, however had never purchased a pre-own vehicle ever. Unfortunately the vehicle was never inspected or provided maintenance by Audi although they have a service department. The first week the maintenance light came on, I called and oops they will do a complimentary maintenance. Two weeks later I am driving (over an hour) to work get cut off, go to use the horn, the horn does not work.I call in they find it strange only to find out that the horn cannot be repaired as the entire thing has to be replaced. On Friday the maintenance light came on. I take it in, they said Did you notice that your check engine light was on? I said no as it was not on, they said Well we turned it off. I said Is there a problem? They said Well sometimes it comes on but we turned it off. The next day my check engine light came on. The vehicle is due for an inspection at the end of the month. Yesterday I went to pick up my girl in school and the car would not start. I thought I needed it to get towed, finally it started. I have send emails and left messages. No one is returning my calls. The only people that call are sales associate. When I tell them the issue, they said we will have someone from service give you a call. No one has as of yet. The vehicle that I had purchased new I did over $8000.00 in repairs to get it ready for inspection. At the end after they told me it was ready the service guy calls and said, Your torque converter, the check engine light came on. We will not charge you for labor as this should have been noticed. We will only charge you for parts excess of $2500.00. If this is not rectified, I will never use Audi of Mendham, NJ again and the marketing will be negative as word of mouth is the worst marketing tool yet.

I purchased the car used in Late August/Early Sept 2012 in New Jersey. The car had around 42k miles on it when purchased. Within month the oil light came on and I had it in. They topped it off (no receipt) and told me to watch it. Came in again Oct 19 and at that time they updated ECM software and replaced pressure regulating valve and front crank seal and started oil consumption test. They told me that the problem should be fine now. January 2013 EPS light came on and this time it was faulty steering column control module. Oil light back on March, April and every month since. They told me to just come in every time and they would top it off with no paperwork. Over the summer of 2013 the light started coming on every 2 weeks and I started topping it off myself because I couldnt keep running back there and getting into work late. I have had the oil changes done at the recommended intervals, always at the dealer. In Sept 2013 when the light came on again, I took it in and told them it had been coming on every two weeks for a couple of months. They said they would watch it again, and when it came on every two weeks, they did the oil consumption test for the second time. I had to pay for phase 1 and wait for the light to come back on which I did. I had it in two weeks ago for phase 2 and at that time the engine light had also come on. The car failed the oil consumption test and the catalytic converter needed replaced. I have an extended warranty which covers the catalytic converter, but they said the oil consumption issue was not and now I am over the original warranty. They were going to try to get Audi to do something but that was over two weeks ago and the oil light came on again. I had to wait for the catalytic converter to come in and they dont want me to bring it in until they talk to Audi. How long does it take to make a phone call? In the meantime, I am afraid of my engine seizing, which I have heard has happened, and I am tired of having to run to the dealer every other week. I have been in that place more than any other service department combined with all the cars I have owned. I am a 50 year old professional woman who takes meticulous care of my cars and this is absolutely absurd! My son is soon to get his license, and I certainly do not feel safe having him drive around in this vehicle. I have done research on this issue and I know there are a lot of unhappy Audi owners out there. I have been waiting for a class action suit to come about. Hopefully I qualify...Just a footnote...my daughter had a VW Passat when she first started driving and we had so many problems, the dealer took it back, and sold it at auction (He was a friend of the family though)! Sorry for the tirade, but I have reached my wits end! Today, February 22, 2014, I received notice that Audi was not going to assist in any way and the dealer may pay half of the cost to replace pistons and rings? Half? First of all half of what? I have no idea what the cost is going to be... I can only imagine its very expensive. Second, this problem has existed since the day I bought it and it was still under manufacturers warranty at that time. I don think I should have to pay anything for what is obviously a defective engine. I cant even sell the car in good conscience, but I am truly at a loss here and infuriated. Where is the consumer protection here? What are our options? Help...anyone!

This car is UNSAFE. I was told dealer will do nothing and I should call Audi. Im stuck with a LEMON. Now trying to fight Audi corporate. Service center cannot fix this. They wouldnt even give me a loaner. I had to make a stink at the dealership to get one. Dont buy an Audi!!

My son-in-law and I went in to the Audi car dealers on Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance. We went in the door, and out of the door, to the cars parked outside. We looked around, and passed a few sales persons. They never greeted us. In fact, they never said a word. Disgusted at this kind of treatment, we walked back through, and left. So much for my interest in buying a car from them.

Paid £28,000 for an Audi A4 that was used as the launch vehicle on the viewing nights when the car was shown to the public, so, 3 months old stuffed with techie gear yet the dab radio does not pick up a signal unless it is in the service bay??!!! My last A4, the previous model, and not quite 3 years old was fine, my brothers A3, his wifes A3, his sons A5 all bought from the same dealer at Silverlink in Newcastle upon Tyne and my daughters seat all have no problem but my £28,000 now 6 month old Audi A4 can only access analogue radio?? The garage was supposed to call me back tonight just after 6:00 but guess what, the lad who answered didnt seem capable of taking my phone number down after twice telling him what it was. What is the point of paying premium prices for a so called premium car when all you get is back street garage services? Cant see my family buying from these again. (Five cars in all.) Think Ill have to contact some in Ingolstadt.

2015 Audi A4 brakes are an embarrassment. Brakes squeak when cold or wet, not a little but enough to turn heads at stop signs and in parking garages. The dealers recommendation was to drive down the freeway at 65 or 70 mph and stomp on them engage the ABS. Great, safe advice - thanks Audi. Im glad to see that Audi has known about the issue dating back to (at least) 2012 from owner experience blogs - but pay their customers the same lip service in 2016 as they did four years ago were aware and were working on a solution. So much for Truth in Engineering.

I have had the 2002 A4 Audi since 2007. I bought a certified pre-owned Audi. I have had issues from the beginning. I have had several repairs related to the engine, spark plugs, fuel lines, alternator, etc. In 2009, basically, I had a new engine. I had moved to NJ and did much less driving than before, but that did not stop the issues. Recently, (10/31/2011) I brought the car in for service where the service people charged me over $1000.00 and they said that the car was in good shape and did not need to come back in for another year. Basically, my car sits in one spot, M-F, I drive on the weekends to run errands, no more than a 20 mile radius from where I live. In January, I have been driving to different places for interviews and looking at houses, stuff like that. All within a 200 mile radius. On 1/19/2012, I was driving on I-80 to an interview, I was 23.8 miles from my destination, when I heard a pop, the check engine light came on, and smoke was coming from my hood. When I got to the dealership, they brought out pieces of my transmission. It will now cost approximately $8000-10,000 to fix the transmission.

Car was purchased in Toronto in mid Oct, 2018, driven to Naples, Florida in early November and parked in a condo garage 100 yards from the Gulf of Mexico with the passenger side exposed to winds from the Gulf. In mid January a braking issue was noticed when braking at highway speeds. Audi service determined that the issue was caused by rust on the passenger side brake rotors and advised that because this was a result of outside influences the repair cost would not be covered by the warranty. Does this seem reasonable when other equivalent cars parked in the same condo location over 8 years had not encountered the same problem?

I financed a 2006 A4 Used from Douglas Motors in Summit. In less than two weeks, the headlights keep flickering off. They change one and didnt change the other. While it was still under warranty, I decide to buy the second headlight and have it changed by my personal mechanic ( I also took pictures). I went back to the dealership because the engine light came on. To my surprise, they took a diagnostic from a Volvo and try to pass if off as my Audi, telling me to pay $700 and something dollars for a repair that doesnt belong to my car. I went to my personal mechanic plus Audi to verify. Audi told me they only deal with P codes, whatever that meant. So I ask for a copy of my original diagnostic, they said its wrong and not company policy to disclose the paper work. Right now, my oil pump failed at 64000 miles, and I bought the car 53000 miles. The dealership never change batteries, Ive changed it since I got it. I changed tires. Please, I need help on what to do with this lemon car that Im financing.

I have a 2002 A-4. It has about 110,000 miles. It is once again in the garage for its third transmission. At $5,000 a piece, you would think Audi would stand up for its products. Well no, they do not. I have called over and over to tell Audi that I feel there is something wrong with the way this transmission doesn’t last. I was told when I called Audi that because I dont have the transmission fluid changed every 35,000 miles, they won’t even consider helping...I told the girl that the owner’s manual says 100,000 miles. When you call, they just have woman answer the phone, who doesn’t even try to help with the problems. Well, the whole problem I have, after spending $5,000 a pop for a transmission for the third transmission in one car, should not be. And Audi should just cancel the number to call because to get help is like pissing in the wind.

I own an Audi A4 Quattro that with less than 60.000 miles started with a metallic sound from the front wheels, it turned out that the bearings had to be replaced... I had a extended warranty which Audi refused to honor. It is very disturbing that a company that is so proud of their 4-wheel drive would have such premature problems with their wheel bearings. To add insult to injury, the dealer had not updated the history of the car with the repairs done, the brand said there must have been internet problems. To me, it seems like a deliberate effort to hide problems that may affect other owner, which is the reason I am posting this complaint to ConsumerAffairs.

Ive had my 2013 Audi allroad for 8 years, it currently has 112000 miles. Its always been serviced and repaired by Audi. 25k miles ago I started to need to top up oil between services. Audi then stated that this was normal. I didnt really believe that and started to do some research on my own and found that the early TFSI engines 2008-2012 have an inherent design fault which leads to high consumption of oil. **Gradually the problem got worse and during a service when I yet again made them aware of the issue and my research findings, they said the turbo was burning oil and needed to be replaced before they could do anything. This was done and $4k later my car was still burning oil. Problem got worse and worse. At 1 qrt every 600 miles Audi said that the abnormal use was due to a leaking top cover gasket and they could not do anything until this issue was corrected. I made them aware that the engine bay would have been full of oil if the top cover gasket was to blame but went ahead to fix the gasket at the same time as the timing chain was replaced. The problem still remained. I have now spent yet another $1k to perform a oil consumption test which concluded that the car is now using 1 qrt each 200 miles! Which is everything else but normal. Audi finally says that the piston rings need to be replaced and because the car is now out of warranty I have to pay for everything out of pocket!!!The fact that Audi from day one blamed everything else and asked me to spend premium $ to fix whatever they said was the issue instead of taking responsibility for their faulty engines is ridiculous and everything else but premium. Its so savage and ruthless to bleed your customers of money knowingly that there is an issue with the engines. This is not what I expect of a premium car company. Whoever is considering of ever buying or owning a new or used Audi please think twice!

Did you know that Audi has a monopoly on their key fob programming? Me neither. And, this mistake cost me almost $2000 and left me without a car for over three weeks. I admit that I didnt have a back-up key. Initially, I hired a Locksmith recommended on Audi USAs website. He was able to get in the car, setting off the alarm system, but was unable to program the key fob. I then towed the car to the dealer using an Audi recommended roadside assistance towing company. They blamed the Locksmith, that is recommended on their website, for breaking the comfort module. The Audi dealer and Audi Customer Care acted like they were concerned, they werent. Instead, they pointed fingers at me for seeking out and using an independent Locksmith, that was recommended on their website. The lesson learned is never, ever buy an Audi - unless you enjoy throwing money away, wasting hours of your time, and being without a car for over three weeks over a minor mistake.

Purchased 2020 Q7 for over 80K. Sever safety issues began around 1000 miles. Vehicle would abruptly stop on the highway. Had truck for 8 months, 5 of those months spent in service. After 3 conversations with their corporate services who kept telling me they were reviewing my file and get back to me in a couple of days, which never happen. They would call me back after a month. This happened 3X while my Vehicle stayed in service. Finally I hired a lemon law attorney. Audi quickly settled but why they not simply by my car back. Instead, their neglect cost them a loyal customer who has purchased 4 Audi. We got our money back due to the lawsuit and bought a Mercedes. Audi could have simply taken the vehicle back and put us in a new Q7 but instead chose to ignore our safety concerns. Not only did they lose our loyalty but lost a customer to a competitor. I was also ready to trade in my Audi A7 but now would never consider an Audi and hopefully people read this review and think twice before they think about purchasing an Audi.

Do not ever ever ever purchase or lease an Audi! Heres my nightmare: back i
Do not ever ever ever purchase or lease an Audi! Heres my nightmare: back in 2010 my then husband leased an Audi in my name (the joys of marriage). About one year into the lease, we separated, both of us moving to opposite ends of California. The vehicle sat at our primary NY residence for almost two years as I would have been penalized for an early turn in. The car was only used for the limited times that I would return to the east coast, probably 5000 miles in total during that time. At just over 30,000 miles the clutch died without warning. This happened on a busy two-lane highway in a dangerous spot. Audi financial blamed it on driver mishandling. I have been driving manual transmission for 30 years and this has never happened. I am clearly capable of driving a stick shift. Happily my insurance covered it but for the deductible as Audi wanted to charge $6000 to repair. Finally, several months later the anticipated turn-in date arrives. I do everything I am supposed to: have the car inspected by Audi (which of course jacked up the damages); and turn it into an Audi authorized dealer (Audi Mohegan Lake, NY). The next day I turn in the plates and take this nightmare off of my insurance policy. I thought this was the end of my Audi dealing. Wishful thinking.Five months later I get a call from Audi Credit stating that I never paid the final bill. I advised that I never received the bill. This is because, as they explained, they never sent the bill! I told them to send the bill, which was received a month later. They are now asking for $497.35 in late return fees! Conveniently the odometer statement, prepared by Mohegan Lake Audi does not have the turn in date on it. Audi decided to wait a month to pick up the car after I turned it in. I have been back and forth with Audi Financial and Mohegan Lake and have yet to be able to get proof of the date on which I turned the car into Audi. My insurance (in deadbeat exs name) shows that I turned in the plates to the DMV and took the car off the policy on 7/2 (days after I turned the car in). I cannot find my DMV receipt, cannot get an answer when I call NY DMV, and cannot get the paperwork from Geico showing that the car was removed from the policy because the policy is now in my exs name. I am beyond frustrated! F AUDI!!!!!

There was a recall on oil consumption on my 2011 Audi Q5. I took it to the dealership to have them check and repair, as soon as I got the information. I did this every time the oil light went on. They put in oil, reported back that all was well. Then, at time before this last one, ran a test, said to come back in 1,000 miles. This last time, the oil light went on and I went to service. They ran tests, now Audi says that I need a complete piston job at 77,804 miles. This is a modern car, how is it I should need a engine rebuilt at these miles. If there were really problems with this model, it should be Audi that fixes the car. Why would anyone want to buy an Audi with this kind of engine and the inability to fix their cars.

I really dont know where to start. I can fill pages and pages showing what bad company I trusted when I bought an Audi Q5. The car is extremely bad, no quality at all. Many problems with the gearbox, the breaks squeaking, steering wheel making bad jerking movements, and the list goes on. But what is really the worst is not the extremely bad quality of the car but the unbelievably bad service. I never took my car to the Audi dealer and they actually knew what was the problem. It stayed one time a full month at the dealer and they were not able to know what was the problem. Now I am facing a problem with the ignition, they told me we need to update the software and we need to get the software from Dubai and I have been waiting for that for a month now and still nothing. Very bad car, extremely bad service and dealing with the Audi people is like dealing with crooked con experts. My car is by the way only at 40000 Km and I hate it already so much. My advice to all: DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BUYING AN AUDI.

On the 18th September 2011, I attended their showroom at Audi Centre Sydney and inspected the above vehicle. The following date on the 19th September 2011, I purchased the vehicle from them at a price of $28,000. I was never at any stage offered by the salesperson (George **) to test-drive the vehicle and was only told that Audi Centre Sydney had thoroughly checked the vehicle. After having taken delivery of the vehicle, I immediately noticed the Gearbox of the car had problems. Also, the brake was scratchy when I applied it.Two weeks later, I called Audi to have the vehicle looked at. One of their technicians drove the vehicle and agreed that there was a problem with the gearbox and the brake that would need couple days to rectify the problems. Upon consultations with **, Head of Service Department, my vehicle was booked in for the 14th November 2011 as a loan car became available then.On the 14th November 2011, I was given a loan car but returned it the very next day because the loan car carries a hefty $3,300 accident excess, which I found uncomfortable but on the same day, I was informed to pick up my vehicle as it required a new modified clutch to rectify the problem. However, the new modified clutch would not be available until the New Year 2012 and I was advised to contact him in January 2012.As requested, I made contact with ** in the first week of January 2012 only to be told that the new modified clutch had to be ordered from Germany first. Why wasnt the new modified clutch ordered sometime after the 14th November 2011? **, Head of Service Department informed me that the new modified clutch would be available in Australia by the middle of February 2012. Accordingly, the vehicle was booked in for the 28th of February 2012 to have the works completed to rectify the problem. However, on the 27th of February 2012, I received call from Ryan in the Service Department informing me that the new modified clutch had not yet arrived due to the new modified clutch has not been released yet and so the scheduled time of the 28th February 2012 was cancelled. In addition, they were not certain when the new modified clutch would arrive.I immediately called **, Head of Service Department, and was told that the new modified clutch may not be available until the end of March or early April with no certainty of the delivery date. In addition to this whole saga, I have been offered by **, Head of Sales Department to pay $5,000 for a replacement vehicle which I find totally unacceptable as I would not spend any more money on a product I do not have any confidence in or else wait for the new modified clutch seemingly indefinitely. As we are now in April 2012, nearly seven (7) months after having purchased this vehicle from Audi Centre Sydney at a price of $28,000, the present position is totally unacceptable. Having regarded to the fact it would seem that the vehicle was defective from the time of sale, the only satisfactory outcome to this drawn out frustrating period is that I return the vehicle to them and receive full refund of $28,000 that I paid for this faulty vehicle. If I have not received their immediate response within seven (7) days from this email to my satisfaction, I will lodge the matter with the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal under the Motor Vehicle Division for their determination.

My year 2010 Audi A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro has started to burn excessive oil due to a design/manufacturing fault. Local dealer in Turkey, Audi Turkey (Dogus Otomotiv) is not responsive with my issue since it is a design problem so should take the manufacturers responsibility. I bought from FLOW AUDI in Greensboro (NC) a brand new AUDI RS5 convertible
I bought from FLOW AUDI in Greensboro (NC) a brand new AUDI RS5 convertible on April 1st 2013. Vin # WUAC6AFH6DN900220. With just 9,000 miles, the RS5 had a very bad problem with the breaks. When I pushed the breaks, the car was shaking, especially when I try to use the break at the speed of 75/80 mph. On November 15th 2013, I brought the RS5 at the dealer in Greensboro and I spoke with the service manager. The service manager gave me a courtesy car to use and in the afternoon, I was contacted by an adviser of the Audi service in Greensboro. This adviser told me that my car needs new pads and new rotor and that these parts are coming from Germany and the wait to have this parts was 2 weeks. The service adviser told me that during these 2 weeks I could drive my car. When I told him that the problem with the breaks was very bad especially at 80 mph, he answers me back that the speed limit is 65 mph.The next morning, I went to pick my car to the dealer in Greensboro and when I told the service adviser that driving over the speed limit is my problem and that the car is supposed to handle higher speed than 80 mph, I was very impolite and he threw the document of my car on the desk. When I told him that he has to be polite, he told me ** YOU. My reaction wasnt really polite and he told me again ** YOU and he was intimidating me. Only the intervention of the manager of the service at the location stopped him. After this issue, in any case the AUDI Dealer changed the front rotors and pads in 2 weeks. After 2000 miles, I had the same problem and on February 2014 I went again to the AUDI Dealer in Greensboro (NC). This time, the service manager told me that I have to replace the back rotors and pads. On March 2014, after the changing of the back rotors and pads, the car had the same problem and was very dangerous to drive it. I have many witnesses that can testify that wasnt possible to safety drive the car. I went again to the dealer and at the end, the service manager told me that this defect was normal. I also wrote to the customer service at AUDI without any positive answer, only words. On April 2014, I tried to trade the car at the AUDI Dealer asking for a different car without this problem. The valuation of my car with only 12000 miles was ridiculous. At the end of April, I trade my AUDI with a brand new Maserati, and I am very satisfy. I will never buy another AUDI.

Audi ULTRA S-TRNC Gearbox FAILS weeks out of warranty on 38 month old A6. Bought an AUDI A6 Ultra S-TRNC July 2016. Have full service history with Audi. Approved garages spending over £35k, out of the blue Friday 2/09/19 heard a strange whining noise from the engine. Took it into Audi Stirling who advised Gearbox pump had failed and resulted in gearbox damage, it will cost £9117.60 to fix, neither the dealership I bought it from Audi Stirling or Audi UK all the way up to the Managing Director were interested and refused to help me. Just kept saying out of warranty. Their aftercare is appalling and when you investigate the Gearbox online the internet is littered with Ultra S-TRNC fails with no help from AUDI. Not even a warning light on the dashboard lights up no warning at all. Today I have written to WATCHDOG and to 2 national papers. Not what you expect from a leading car manufacturer!!!!

I have a new 2015 A3 Cabriolet and the top leaks every time it rains. Audi dealer is unable to duplicate so they are telling me Im out of luck. Sick of this car and Audi not wanting to own up and figure out a solution. Paid a ton of money and wish I would kept my 10 year old Chrysler. I will never buy another Audi. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

I purchased a used Audi A3 for my teenager about 2 years ago. My daughter now attends a university about 1 1/2 hr away from home. She called me one evening and told me that the engine light came on and the car had slowed down. Luckily, she was 5 minutes from her apartment and close to an auto shop. When she parked the car, all of the oil leaked out. I had to pay for a replacement engine because there was internal damage and a hole in the oil pan. There were NO warning signs before this situation and the Audi dealership had just performed a multi inspection, but found no issues. I am so happy that my daughter was not on the road! I never had these issues with Mercedes.

I bought a 2009 A4 2.0T Quattro and it was a problem from day 1. The car was consuming so much oil! At its worst it was doing 1ltr every 120km. When I took it to the Audi service shop, they blatantly lied to me after doing a service and check, and said nothing was wrong and perhaps I should buy a new sensor. I kept going back and kept getting the same spiel. Anyways the car engine has died and they are quoting me 10k to rebuild the motor. I told Audi Australia that I have done my research and am aware of the recalls, and class action lawsuit against them for the flawed motor but they are still refusing to do anything about it. Im left with a useless car, back on the bus and frustrated! Does anyone else have any ideas or helpful suggestions where to go from here??

Car has 20k miles. It has had key fob unrecognized, have to walk away, come back, it works. Ive had engine shut off on highway due to overheating (thank God I was next to the shoulder lane). My check brake light indicator comes, lights up on the dash, brake lights however work fine. Dealer so far has added antifreeze (it wasnt low to begin with - just above min) cant find problem with light, would have to tear car down. Then I was rear ended at stop light, 8k in repair done by Audi, car now vibrates. Took it to sunny side Audi bodyshop, they sent me to Sunnyside Audi dealer in middleburg OH, (place of purchase/service) and they try to sell me tires and balance after saying nothing wrong with car alignment. Cant guarantee me that it will fix the problem. I did NOT have a vibration problem before being rear ended.I called Audi America, they sent me back to dealer to try to work something out. My tires have PLENTY of tread left as I used winter tires for at least 8k miles of the 20k. Just a horrible experience with the car, with the service, with the repair work of Audi manufacturing, sunny side Audi service, sunny side Audi collision center. Ive owned Honda, Toyota, Ford and Acura, not had any problems. Acura replaced a 600.00 part under warranty. It failed 2 years later after extended warranty expired and they fixed it again, free of charge under good faith. Audi should learn from this. Im going back to Acura. Im not unreasonable. I offered to pay for tires if indeed it takes care of problem. If it doesnt they should. As I said it 100% did not shake/vibrate before accident. The other electrical issues I just deal with until lease end.

The technology in the Audi A4 sedan is complicated and not user friendly. The manual is not helpful either. It is a great ride but it uses premium gas which is a pain. I bought it because it is highly rated in crash tests. I have only owned it 8 months so I dont know how its long term durability will be but it is rated highly in this area.

I leased an A3 clean diesel from Audi Coral Springs in April of 2013 with the intention to buy if the car performed as well as the salesperson assured me it would. I was looking for a high performing car with significantly reduced emissions. I considered the Audi diesel, hybrids and electric cars. I chose a model that would no longer be available in the US (A3 clean diesel hatchback). There were only a handful available in the country and one of them was at Audi Coral Springs. Because I was set on this car and there were so few, I had no bargaining power and paid an enormous premium for the car. The leasing process itself was torture. The dealership had one printer and it wasnt working so the entire transaction took more than 4 hours. When the diesel emission fraud became public, I contacted the dealership and Audi USA. I was told over and over that the emission fraud was no big deal and that Audi owed me nothing. Basically I was told that Audi is handling this and that no one in the company could deal with my complaint. Audi has decided kill its brand and ensure that its customers go elsewhere. As for Audi Coral Springs... the personnel at the dealership were down right rude. I returned the car at the end of the lease only to be told that I had to sign a document that if anything happened to the car while in the hands of the dealer (the only place I could return it), I would be legally responsible for the damage. The document stated that I was required to maintain auto insurance on the vehicle until it was in the hands of the manufacturer which would take weeks to months. Ripped off a third time by Audi Coral Springs. I asked how I would know when to release the insurance and I was told not to worry about it. Needless to say, given Audis horrible, horrible customer service and casual attitude about defrauding the public, I will never drive an Audi again. I now have a Lexus hybrid and the experiences could not have been more different. One star for this dealership is really one too many.

I have been attempting to use the Audi US website (as well as Audis global website) for over 3 hours as of 3:55 PM US Eastern Time on 28 April 2019. Audi - whether at their US or audi.com (global) website provides no way to contact Audi - whether by phone, by chat or by email and whether at their global or US websites to deal with this issue. I was trying to start the purchase of an Audi. So as to German competitors to Audi - both the BMW and Mercedes websites work perfectly and responsively. Given this experience, I will not be purchasing an Audi/Volkswagen/Porches for my new care, which I will buy in 2019. What a sad state of affairs for a global company, which has violated pollution control laws in the very recent past in the EU, USA and possibly elsewhere.

From day one of my purchase I had issues with my A8. Now 4 years later have had heating fail 2xs, suspension fail, windshield leak, electric fail numerous time, bolts come loose in both doors, breaks squeak and be told that is normal. My Audi has had maintenance to it (outside of normal service) every 2 months. Called Audi American to explain my issues. They were able to pull the 16 work orders so they saw my issues were valid. After weeks of dealing with them, I was told that I should go back to where I purchased to see if there are any incentives that could be used to get me into a new car. That is Audi loyalty. Buy a car that is a straight lemon and they will allow you to buy a new car with incentives at the dealership. I will never buy another and highly recommend people to avoid.

I purchased an Audi A4 2.0 in March 2000 (**). The car had engine oil leakage and engine oil has to be topped up every 5,000 km initially and then the situation worsened to having to top up more and more regularly until now, top up engine oil every few hundred km! It was reported that my car was not the only one having this problem. Finally in November 2011, Audi Company, Euromobil Sdn Bhd (located in Kawasan Perindustrian Temasya, Shah Alam, Selangor DE, Malaysia) contacted me and informed me that my new car would be given an overhaul service and an Audi staff would contact me on when to send in my car. When I did not hear from them after a couple of months, I called and was informed that the person-in-charge had resigned and therefore did not respond to my calls. This indicates a lack of management coordination, no customer follow-up and the inconvenience of topping up the engine oil continued.Audi Salesman, Mr. Danny, managed to arrange with customer service executive, Mr. ** to have my car sent in on 20th February 2012 to Audi for the overhaul service. I was informed that it would require two weeks to have the car overhauled. I had made arrangements to rent a car for use while my Audi was in the service center. When I arrived, unfortunately, I was informed that the overhaul could not be carried out as there were too many cars being serviced and therefore could not attend to my car but I was informed it could be done the following week. Since I was there, I sent in my car anyway to have a minor body repair work and repainting and I was told that the overhaul would be carried out after that. When I went to collect two weeks later, I was informed that the overhaul was not done! Customer Service Manager, Mr. ** apologized and rescheduled the overhaul service for 26, March 2012. This time I requested Mr. ** to please arrange to provide me a car for my use when I next send my car for the scheduled overhaul. Mr. ** assured that he would try his best.On March 16, I contacted Mr. ** to check if he had managed to arrange a car for my use when my car was being overhauled and he confirmed he had made the arrangement. Therefore, it was confirmed that I could send in my car on 26, March 2012 and I expected to drive away in the car arranged by Mr. **. When I arrived, Mr. ** informed that the arranged car was not available. I was really upset as I have a business meeting at 10 am! Therefore, I had no choice but to drive away in my own car to attend the business meeting. Again, through no fault of mine, my car was not given the overhaul as arranged and assured by Audi!People buy Audi because it is reliable, stylish and comfortable. It is a pride to own an Audi and lots of pleasure to drive it. Customers have been assured of the dependable and good service, including after sales service. From what I have written, you can imagine how very upset, disappointed and frustrated I am with your distributor and their service. It has caused me lots of inconvenience, precious time and expenses in hiring a replacement car for use. I am officially lodging a complaint with your company.

In winter 2016 I have bought brand new 2017 Audi A4 Premium Plus for 47k. It was this new version with cool digital gauges and new technology. It was rather exciting. I was thinking at the time that this small luxury sedan was worth the money. Then in December 2020, I got the message that my car doesnt support any more Google maps and from December 31 will stop working. Really after 3 years my car is obsolete and exciting feature that I have chose this car for is no longer available. I have contacted dealerships right away to see if I can upgrade my car, but answer was no, and I should probably get a new or newer Audi in order to have that ability. So 4 years after I cough up 47k for this Audi and planning to keep it in the family for longer, this car lost one of features that was their top selling point. I had a numbers of Audi cars so far in my life A4, A6, Q5 and Q7. I can tell you one thing. I will never ever again buy a Audi. It is like throwing away you money for something that will be obsolete in 3-4 years. Really sad from company that I had a the time on top for my vehicle needs.

I always feel classy and respected when driving my Audi, whether its for travel, commute or simple pleasure. I feel comfortable and safe. Four people can fit easily in the spacious interior. Theres plenty of head and leg space. No one ever feels cramped in my Audi. They also have a lot of options for personalization but once you start adding extras, they really add up. You have to pay for luxury I suppose. But I would have liked some features to have been standard.

Audi demands respect, commands the road, close second to none. I personally drove a 2004 special edition TT and I can honestly say by far, this little speed demon is the most fun, exciting, smooth, reactive and never disappoints. Custom leather seats crafted to meet the high standards Audi always adheres to and often exceeds are a favorite for me. This vehicle is eye-catching with very unique and sexy lines. The interior is just as impressive, modern, sophisticated, clean and perfectly positioned to maintain maximum control of this power packed superior machine. It feels as though you’re in the cockpit of your very own rocket ship at a creamy soft leather seat. Youll turn more than a few heads as you glide effortlessly with speed, precision and power, hugging the road like you really mean it. This car fits you like a glove, and for that, youll want to give it all of your love.

I am not an Audi customer, but rather a former employee of one of their stores. The store I was working at engaged in shameful practices towards customers and had such a weak employee staff it was laughable. Half the sales staff were not properly trained while the other half were vicious sharks wanting to have any and all customers landed in their hands to ensue an aggressive close. In other words, while looking at the car a customer may be with a person who has almost no knowledge of the product, but when the time comes to discuss numbers an expert at digging in your budget is presented. If any type of issue would arise that was questionable, they were experts at rearranging the conversation to avoid answering questions or resolving the matter. Most of the barely trained sales team were not even able to pretend that they had any decent level of manners or education. Multiple customers would complain about this but it was never addressed properly or effectively. The cars themselves? Lets just say that more than 30% had issues immediately after the sale. It is really hard to sell a car that a customer brings back the next day for service.

I purchased this car 4 years ago from a friend who purchased it new. It had around 4,000 miles when I got it and in 4 years I put roughly 10,000 miles on the car and serviced it regularly. At around 14,000 miles in June of this year the car started blowing an excessive amount of bluish smoke from the exhaust so I took the car in to the dealership thinking they over filled the oil during an oil change. After 3 weeks of back and forth they tell me it needs a head gasket to my complete amazement. I explained to them that is impossible considering the car has never over heated, never asked for coolant and always ran at the same temp but they insisted. I naturally went online and began combing through message boards blogs and reviews discovering that there has been many documented FACTORY defects in this type of engine and the only way to fix it is to replace the engine. I passed this information along to the local Audi dealer and they stated the FACTORY rep says this is the fix and after raising hell they charged me $600 and fixed it. After 2-3 weeks I get the car back and day 1 the same problem pops up again just as I knew it would so I called the Audi dealer and took the car back. Roughly 1 week after they had it I received a call from them to inform me the car needs a new engine to the tune of roughly $30,000 and of course I called Audi North America explained my problems and obvious anger and concern as to how my $150,000 car needs a new engine at 14,000 miles and they of course were super nice explained they will do what they can to help and would get back to me. The dealer calls me several days later and says the Factory is willing to cut you a break and fix it for $5,600!!!!! Wow thank you sooo much so generous of you to charge me $6,000 to replace a defective engine you built that was destined to fail from the assembly line. Small back story....I purchased a 2007 Gallardo brand new with 0 miles in 2007 and at 103 miles the crank shaft sensor went bad and it sat in the shop for 3 months waiting for the part to come in (same company). Terrible customer service - obviously hate repeat customers. And if it costs them money would rather not help you. Mercedes Lexus Toyota would have stood behind their product where Audi refuses to do so!

I am a new Audi customer and definitely did not expect this company to be so incompetent. First off, the app is a joke. It doesnt really do anything useful so we never use it. I also had a hard time connecting my Audi account to Audi Financial Service in order to set up an auto-pay. I tried numerous times but the website seemed to have an issue all the time. When I called the customer service to get help, there was a long wait about 20-30min in a Thursday morning around 9am PST, which shouldnt be the busiest time of the day or the week, and the representative who came on the line was very disrespectful and not helpful. He sounded like a high-school kid who wasnt motivated to do anything at all. So the only way at this moment to set up an auto-pay is to fill out the paperwork and mail it to Audi. Unbelievably old school. Ive only owned the car for 3-4 months but already regret it. Ive owned a few cars in the past from different makes, but Audi is definitely the worst.

Took my car at the appointed time (11 am) in for a full service (309) it was running perfectly well no faults whatsoever. They said the service would take about 1-2 hrs. I waited 20 mins, rang again, told them how long Id been waiting and want to speak to a manager. Again they said Ill get the manager to ring you straight back. 45 mins later and fuming I rang again. This time they said your car is just being washed now it will be about 15 mins. Now my car has a fault, its jerking and jumping as if it is being starved of fuel. I have just looked at the air filter and its. The one I put in 18 months ago, in my service book its (air filter) been ticked as replaced and crossed out and ticked as not replaced. So no new air filter, not even cleaned, fluids NOT topped up they said thats extra. So almost six hours for a service. I dont think a Boeing 747 would take that long. I bought my 1996 Audi A4 in 2009. At the start of 2010, I took my car to (Audi Artarmon, NSW) because I was experiencing erratic revving quite seriously. Audi Artarmon cleaned my fuel system and assured me that the problem was now fixed. However, as soon as I drove my vehicle from the servicing center, the problem still existed so that was ($1,500) down the drain. It took some complaining but I eventually got a full refund. I then moved to the Gold Coast where I decided to take it to (Audi Gold Coast Center). They advised me of a few reasons for the problem and told me that they could fix the problem. After picking my car up and driving it down the Gold Coast highway for 5 minutes, my car completely broke down and whilst I was on the phone to the servicing manager, he was shouting at me trying to say that it was not their problem and that these things just happen. So I sorted out a tow truck myself and paid for a taxi to get myself home. The car got towed back to Audi. The next day, they advised me that I needed a new throttle body at a cost of $1,000, but was advised that the cost would be taken care of due to what had happened. I went to pick my car up after the work had been done and the servicing manager started to demand that I pay for the work done to my car or else I would not be allowed to drive it away.I then had to rush to the bank before it closed and made a withdrawal in order to pay the prick of a manager. After all of this, it was no wonder that nothing had even remotely changed with the performance of my car! I had to move to Mackay (1000kms north) so I drove my car up, however, my fuel gauge stopped operating and the car was being very erratic with its revs. I did make it to Mackay though by guessing my fuel consumption. After more complaints, I eventually got a refund from Gold Coast Audi, as if they were trying to pay me to keep quiet. The last straw came when I moved to Newcastle (NSW). I drove my car down from Mackay, which was a long trip but my vehicle seemed to take it very well. My car did not start the next day so I decided to take it to Newcastle Audi Center where they told me I needed a new fuel pump, which would cost $900. I decided to get an independent mechanic to replace my fuel pump for half the price. However, somehow that mechanic did something to my cars immobilizer and I was forced to have it towed back to (Newcastle Audi), which was quite embarrassing. I was advised by Newcastle Audi that I needed a new engine control unit which would cost $3,000. I agreed to have this done as I needed my car. After a few months of trying to come up with the money, I finally had enough to pay for my vehicle. Upon picking my car up, I noticed that the whole dashboard insert was not working at all (speedometer, tacho, fuel gauge) and I asked them why. However, the servicing manager refused to take any responsibility and angrily denied any wrongdoing. The service I received from Newcastle Audi was absolutely appalling. For anyone who has any intention on buying an Audi of any sort, get ready for ignorant fat cats who think that they are above you and can talk down to you. I am so fed up with Audi, all they care about is money. Even the Audi Australia head office doesnt seem to care at all.My car has been undriveable for almost a year now, yet those ** are probably living it up with their fat checks. I am giving my 1996 Audi to a wrecker now. I paid $7,000 for it 3 years ago but I simply have no more energy, money or time to put up with the thieves that Audi are.

My 2005 Audi A4 purchased in December 2004 fried in 2008 due to oil sludge. My sister drove the car from D.C. to Charleston home for Thanksgiving. It had been making strange noises so she took it to the Audi dealership to have it looked at before she left. About an hour away from Charleston, the engine blew. Audi did nothing to help us even though we had the car serviced at the dealership every 10,000 miles for this exact reason. They even still expected us to make our monthly car payments. We ended up getting a new engine put in because our new car repair service had found a 2005 engine that was pretty reasonable. The same thing happened again last Friday.

Ive been a Volkswagen/Audi customer for more than 12 years. My very last Audi was a 2005 Audi A6 3.2 Quattro sedan. I have leased it brand new for three years then purchased at lease-end. I ended up selling it to CarMax last Friday, 5/25/12. For almost seven years of A6 ownership, with 5 year/50K warranty included and purchased an additional 5 year/75K extended warranty with expensive repairs in mind, it was one hell of a ride. It was pampered like a baby and well-maintained. Its body is built like a jet and runs like a bullet train until 71K came. On 7/5/11, I took it to my local Audi dealership due to ABS warning light. They advised to have the 75K service done at the time and I said okay and they went ahead and performed the 75K service. After an hour or so, my advisor came back and informed me that while running some software update, the Parking Brake Control Module crashed. Guess what? It had to be replaced. Wow! They added another problem to the existing problem and that has always been the case every time I set foot to any Audi dealership and I would always pay for it! So, the Parking Brake Control Module was replaced for $794 excluding the 75K service which was $775 for a total of $1569 in one visit. After almost a year, on 5/8/12, I took it to the same Audi dealership with 77K on it due to the intermittent PRNDS all highlighted in red plus the ABS light came back. The car stayed in the dealership for 3 days. My advisor said it needs a new transmission and a new ABS pump and module for a grand total of $16K. Cha-ching! Wow! Keep in mind that I still owe around $10K on the car. I was totally overwhelmed! I called Audi of America and asked for some assistance and offered 50% off the total repair cost. I still need to pay $8k for it. I felt that it wasnt enough due to the fact that Im still making monthly payments plus the car has been well-maintained and had low mileage for the year model which lead me to the question of How can it suddenly break just like that?On May 25, 2012, I went to another dealership to trade it in. They checked and appraised the cars worth. To my surprise, they said the cars transmission is in good condition and theyre willing to buy it for $10K. I was so surprised to know that the transmission was not even an issue and I would still get $10K for it. That very same day, 5/25/12, I took my A6 to CarMax for appraisal just to have a comparison. Guess what? They found nothing wrong with the transmission. The appraisal report said, Transmission good condition, etc. and they were willing to pay me $10K. Well, well, well, the truth came out. Right that very moment, I realized Ive been cheated on, lied to by Audi for so many years. That was the very reason why I sold my A6 to CarMax that very same day. I dont mind paying for expensive maintenance for I knew it was bound to happen since its a luxury car but the fact that Audi was a greedy and a dishonest brand, it wasnt worth keeping at all. Maybe I didnt even need to have that Parking Brake Module replaced after all. I wanted to share this grim experience I had with Audi to the consumers out there who are stuck in the four rings of hell or are planning to purchase it. Let this serve as a warning or lesson to you and to those who are still okay with Audi, good luck. Im glad I got out of it but it took me thousands of dollars to realize that I dont want anything to do with Audi anymore.

Audi provides cars that meet the requirements for most people. They offer smaller vehicles such as the A3 and A4 that would be suitable for people looking for a luxury vehicle but who are budget conscious or live in a busy city with limited parking. They have the A5 and A6 for the midrange. If you are looking for a fully loaded full size sedan there is the A8 and S8 (more sporty). If you are into sports cars there is the R8. Audi also offers attractive vehicles. Their vehicles have classy styling and clean lines. They offer sporty options and their new vehicles feature full led headlights which is a great improvement over the old halogen lights. Also, Audi offers several color options and multiple trim options. Most people can find something that would suit their style; however, individuals looking for a clearly unique style or appearance might be a little disappointed. They have options in the different car size classes. Generally the vehicles are spacious and accommodating. The smaller vehicles will easily accommodate 4 adults with maybe a child in the middle in the back. Larger vehicles such as the A8 will easily and comfortably accommodate 5 adults.
