I leased a q5. Great car, and a fine enough experience during my lease. However post lease the actions of Audi have me considering talking to a lawyer. Prepaid overage miles, was not credited. Called in to give them my transaction number and their office is not taking calls at this time due to high volume. No call back option, no hold option, and I get this message for a week straight of attempts. 2 weeks later I finally get through to the team, give them my prepaid transaction number and they said I should receive a zero account balance shortly. One month later I get a bill again without my prepayment applied. Again their phone number for Audi USA is not accepting calls. If this touches my credit which it has threatened to do I will have to seek a legal remedy. Ridiculous that I have to spend this much of my time and effort to fix their issues. Its a beautiful car but WALK AWAY!

Audi offered all kinds of models, although not the specific color I wanted but it was still okay. I was hoping to have a dark red car but they did not have it. I was still very pleased. The interior design was absolutely gorgeous and made the purchase worthwhile. I was very satisfied with the upgrade options and decided to do all the personal options that were available. However, I wish there could be somewhat more room in the car. But other than that its fine.

I am leasing a Audi A7. I love it. BUT recently I had a 2019 loaner and they redesigned the shift and it’s flat out dangerous. They made the park a button in the soft. So when you naturally move your shift to “park” it’s now reverse. I didn’t know this on the loaner. Upon putting it in “park” I almost hit someone because it was actually reverse and I was going about my business of gathering my purse and water bottle. They should make the first gear neutral then reverse then drive. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Yes you can get used to it but when your husband or kids borrow the car and aren’t used to it...it can be dangerous. So I am very likely not getting another Audi as this shift design is permanent. Now...I love my 2018 with the old shift. It’s comfy and rideable like a dream. She is beautiful and I get lots of compliments daily. Technology is amazing. If they change the shift design when my lease is up I would likely lease another. I have had great service and the dealership is beautiful with great amenities.

There are so many Audi models like A3 R8 Q7 Cabriolet A5 TY SS, so many letter number variations to please the most picky buyer. The different letter number combinations each have distinct factors. I love the Roadster! It is so sporty and sleek with so many extras and small touches that make it distinct. The appearance rivals that of the most opulent cars. You can upgrade by package and any type of upgrade and personalization is available. You have the power to build your perfect car! I got mine fully loaded and was extremely happy with the package. The extras made the entire experience of owning and driving the car a most pleasant one. The car looks mid size to small but fits passengers very comfortably with tons of head and leg room. There is also plenty of storage space.

I have a 2014 Audi Q5 and recently for no reason whatsoever, the power steering failed and nearly caused an accident. I mentioned it to my local Audi service department and had them look at it while it was in for 3 other recalls. They agreed that the power steering was not responding and it would have to be replaced. I explained to them that the car is barely driven and has never been in an accident. And I find it unacceptable that a car company that has built a reputation on handling and drivability would have a complete steering failure at 40k miles which they informed me is just out of warranty. I was told at my local Audi dealership that It would have to be paid for out of pocket so I called Audi customer support. This was over 2 weeks ago and since then I have gotten no clear information on the issue. I have been through 3 customer service reps and they have changed stories multiple times. The second to last time they informed me that there was a program that the local Audi dealership has to help in situations like this. So I went back to Audi only to find out that they have no such program and they werent even told about this from the customer service rep. I was supposed to receive an answer almost a week ago and it keeps getting pushed off. At this point I still can not drive the car or else risk getting into a serious accident. I also want to point out that I did research and found out that the SQ5 version of this Audi has a recall on the same issue. I further researched it thinking that the steering system was different only to find out it is the same part number. This is clearly a defect and Audi should be responsible for fixing it. I cant even get a clear answer as to what it would cost since the dealership has changed the price on me multiple times. At this point the car cant be driven and I dont see why I would need to spend up to $3,500 to replace the entire power steering rack on a car with low miles that has been well taken care of. I also dont trust the service department at my local Audi since they informed me that my brakes and rotors need to be changed yet I just had them done about 1,500 miles ago. I am at a loss with Audi and just want the steering replaced so I can safely trade this in on a different brand vehicle or sell it out right. I dont feel safe driving it and I wouldnt want to sell it to someone else as is. If this car is driven it will cause a severe accident.

Purchased a brand new 2013 Audi Q7 last April. Waited close to a month for the vehicle. Problems started since day one. The same day, the vehicle was picked up. Within 15 minute driving, the check engine light came on. Brought it back to the dealer and diagnosed to be a bad intake manifold. The vehicle was in the shop for a week. A month down the line, one day the sunshade for the panoramic roof fell off the rail completely. Brought the vehicle back to the dealer and get it fix. In June of this year, the Sunshade fell off the rail again, brought it back to the dealer, waited a week for the repair. Literately a week after the vehicle was picked up, the rail came back again, the car was in the dealer for another week. Now the problem come back again. The car is a little over 1 year old, barely driven with only 6000 miles. Went to the dealer to complaint about the issue and see how they and AUDI will address the issue. The response I got was: this does not affect the drivability or the safety operation of the vehicle. I could always bring it back to the dealer and get it fix. I am extremely disappointed in the brand and its customer service focus philosophy. Especially as a luxury car dealer and manufacture, this is definitely not the way to address the issue. 60K investment and what I get in return is constantly going back to the dealer for the same issue. Even with me addressing the issue, their response is tell me to keep going back. I dont have the time for all this, definitely not a good ownership experience. I am very disappoint in the brand and the experience. Stay away from AUDI!!!

If a car has scratches, looks old, it doesnt qualify for the look you want dont buy it. Please use your money wise. The car isnt going to last for long. The passenger capacity is good and there hasnt been any complaints in riding smoothly. We just having fun and I love it so much. Upgrade is need. Once I didnt updated my car it was in bad shape. But when you upgrade youre like very happy and proud of yourself.

Audi of North America gets an F for customer service. I had the worst experience ever dealing with their representative over a new Q5 I purchased. Two phone calls (ended nowhere), I escalated the issue to a supervisor who not surprising was same useless when it comes to settling disputes between the customer and the dealer. The car came with a license plate cover on the front grill, but my state does not mandate/issue a front license plate and the grill. There are two big holes that cannot be covered by a license plate. Audi refused to replace the bracket with one that does not have the license cover despite their promise at the dealership that they would switch it. I am done with the brand!

It varies from sport car models, to mid size suvs, to full size suv, and amazing cars. If youre looking for a car for the family then the Q7 is amazing, I love how smooth it drives. The appearance of Audi gives you that sleek, business, sophisticated look. Not only are Audis head turners, they also are remarkable on the inside with some of its features for the higher models. I personally like the backup cameras, the automatic mirrors, and the signal to let you know there is a car on the side of you. You can experience any upgrade such as the seats. Most cars come with the standard black leather seats, but you can replace it with the tan or red. For the Q7s I know they can fit 5 people comfortably and as far as the sport cars you have to be a short person to fit in it. The full size cars are extremely roomy.

I initially bought an Audi because of their quality and excellent engineering. However, I dont believe I will ever purchase another automobile from this manufacturer again. At 60000 miles my MMI system experienced a complete failure. The Navigation display would not come up, the radio wouldnt work, the navigation system completely failed. I took the car to the dealer here in Denver and was told the 5F MMI component would have to be replaced. Cost of the part $2200, $400 for labor. To say the least this is outrageous. Needless to say I am done with Audi, they are obviously not the reliable luxury cars I thought they were. Save your money! Dont patronize.

My 5 year old Audi A5 with 54,000 miles needs a new engine due to Audi having fitted a faulty cam shaft adjuster and faulty piston rings. I was getting 200 miles to a litre of oil and the top of the engine being starved of oil due to the faulty cam shaft adjuster. My cars worth £11000 approx. The engine replacement is almost £12000. Having contacted customer services who said theyll try and help with the costs and have now said they wont. The dealer has managed to reduce the cost to £10,250. Im convinced its due to the above mentioned fault recall code 15d6. Im told you cant determine when that engine was made to clarify this. I just thought Id be shown a bit more goodwill as the cars only 5 years old.

Took my car at the appointed time (11 am) in for a full service (309) it was running perfectly well no faults whatsoever. They said the service would take about 1-2 hrs. I contacted Audi at 3 pm to say I was calling to collect my vehicle. They said the lady that dealt with you is just on the phone, Ill ask her to ring you back. I waited 20 mins, rang again, told them how long Id been waiting and want to speak to a manager. Again they said Ill get the manager to ring you straight back. 45 mins later and fuming I rang again. This time they said your car is just being washed now it will be about 15 mins. Now my car has a fault, its jerking and jumping as if it is being starved of fuel. I have just looked at the air filter and its. The one I put in 18 months ago, in my service book its (air filter) been ticked as replaced and crossed out and ticked as not replaced. So no new air filter, not even cleaned, fluids NOT topped up they said thats extra. So almost six hours for a service. I dont think a Boeing 747 would take that long. Bad service, certainly the longest, lied to several times. Get your service book stamped by any reputable garage. Audi is NOT all its cracked up to be very, very expensive and work NOT carried out.

You can get leather seats and customize the cabin to have various options such as extra features in the entertainment system. You can have four to five people inside. It is kind of a tight squeeze due to the low surface area but there is a lot of room for your feet and it had huge area in the back for storage as it does in the main passenger area.

There was a recall on oil consumption on my 2011 Audi Q5. I took it to the dealership to have them check and repair, as soon as I got the information. I did this every time the oil light went on. They put in oil, reported back that all was well. Then, at time before this last one, ran a test, said to come back in 1,000 miles. This last time, the oil light went on and I went to service. They ran tests, now Audi says that I need a complete piston job at 77,804 miles. This is a modern car, how is it I should need a engine rebuilt at these miles. If there were really problems with this model, it should be Audi that fixes the car. Why would anyone want to buy an Audi with this kind of engine and the inability to fix their cars.

They had an absolute huge selection of family friendly vehicles for me to choose from, which made it a really hard choice to pick a specific vehicle. Each of the vehicles were spectacularly invincible looking. They had a really nice glow to them and caught the eye right away - of myself, my spouse, and my child. Seeing all the upgrades made me want personalization, and there were a lot of choices to personalize a vehicle of my choice - color, seating, doors, etc. Having a young child, safety is my number one feature to look for. Since I have a one year old and a newborn on the way, seating is a huge factor in my buying a car. So having at least a five-seater is mandatory and that was available which was nice.

I have a 2004 Audi A8 with 98,000 miles and the transmission died. Other much cheaper cars go for much more than this mileage before they encounter a transmission failure. Audi wants $10,000 to replace the transmission, effectively forcing me to junk the car at this point. The attitude at customer service at Audi USA is essentially tough luck. I think a premium vehicle such as this one, should have more accountability from the manufacturer and it cannot be normal for the transmission to go at 98,000 miles especially when the maintenance has been done by the book all along.

I really dont know where to start. I can fill pages and pages showing what bad company I trusted when I bought an Audi Q5. The car is extremely bad, no quality at all. Many problems with the gearbox, the breaks squeaking, steering wheel making bad jerking movements, and the list goes on. But what is really the worst is not the extremely bad quality of the car but the unbelievably bad service. I never took my car to the Audi dealer and they actually knew what was the problem. It stayed one time a full month at the dealer and they were not able to know what was the problem. Now I am facing a problem with the ignition, they told me we need to update the software and we need to get the software from Dubai and I have been waiting for that for a month now and still nothing. Very bad car, extremely bad service and dealing with the Audi people is like dealing with crooked con experts. My car is by the way only at 40000 Km and I hate it already so much. My advice to all: DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BUYING AN AUDI.

When my car, 2009 Audi A4 Avant, failed, I had to get the RAC to examine the problem and eventually take it to the Audi dealer I bought it from some eight months earlier. Apparently, through me placing a case in the not-so-robust boot which I couldnt know about, it had bent the lip near the seal which would then allow water to access the boot. This is where it really becomes a problem. You have no way of knowing this is happening so this water will build up until it then damages the electrical equipment in your boot.Audi will then give you an incredible £10k bill to replace key electrical items which are unsealed within the boot. Part of the labor bill is at £120/hour. They only provide you with a temporary car once you have complained directly to their MD. They completely ignore the important safety issue that you are unaware of this problem until its too late and that the electrical equipment situated in the boot that can fail through water are lights and brakes. Im very unhappy around with this saga and feel other manufacturers would treat me better.

Our family purchased a 2011 Audi A5 with 2.0 T engine. The Timing Chain (Tensioner) failed at 70,000 m. The engine head and pistons (predictably) are wrecked. The car was maintained according to the Audi schedule with the Dealer from whom we purchased the car. All the records are verified by the dealer. The standard warranty is 50,000 m. This engine/car has the Oil Consumption problem that precipitated the Class Action Suit. So, the car was used as designed, maintained as designed, - and it FAILED as designed! The failure is due to lack of lubrication of the Timing tensioner/chain. Something absolutely beyond the consumers control (beyond filling the engine as specified).4/5/15: The car is at the Dealership in Austin Texas - the Dealership says they have talked to Audi and both are trying to escape the manufacturers responsibility to fix the problem. It seems that the only (implied warranty) service to the customer that Audi will deliver is when threatened by a lawsuit (class action suit as prev). In summary: The engine was maintained as required; the car was used as designed; the consumer fulfilled all their responsibilities; the engine (built by a prior-respected engineering company) failed - beyond all control of the consumer within a small portion of the design life of the engine. How is it not Audis responsibility? Get decent Audi! Before another Class action suit gets kicked off.

They also had catalogs of cars with different colors, features, and tons of custom options. The added features were clearly listed on the cars with their prices. We purchased a very clean, well maintained, used Audi A4 3.0 CVT with only 26,000 miles on it from a Range Rover/Audi dealer for our daughter as she went off to college in 2010. We had planned this car, being German built with Innovation through Technology to last her until she graduated and was able to get her first job. The Audi was serviced on a regular basis, then at 42,000 miles the transmission started acting up. After numerous trips to dealer and mechanics, the news was the transmission was shot and it would take $8,500 to repair/replace. The Audi at 48,000 miles is now a parked. A worthless hulk of nuts & bolts. After countless calls with Audi America, polite lip service with no results. We were extremely disappointed to find that Audi America simply does not stand behind their brand.Upon further research, discovered there was a class action suit to a poor design on the CVT Automatic Transmission, which accused Audi of concealing problems from consumers. Audi denied allegations but agreed to reimburse some customers...mmm. An indirect admission? We unfortunately discovered this settlement too late in the process as a result of no communication or proactive involvement by Audi. We have no recourse on our initial investment which equaled to 1/2 years of college tuition. Although my daughter did enjoy her 3 1/2 years driving an Audi at college, the reliability and disappointment by Audi America not supporting their Audi brand will forever taint all of us. Audi will be viewed as the inferior German car that cant be trusted.Closing note: Daughter is about to graduate college and she is considering her purchase on a new car when she starts her job. Her final will not include Audi, but a more respective brand this time around; BMW, Mercedes Benz, Mini, Lexus? We, our friends and anyone else we come across who may be interested in an Audi, will certainly hear the story of our college student deceived by Audis Truth in Engineering. No such thing!

My 2005 Audi A4 purchased in December 2004 fried in 2008 due to oil sludge. My sister drove the car from D.C. to Charleston home for Thanksgiving. It had been making strange noises so she took it to the Audi dealership to have it looked at before she left. About an hour away from Charleston, the engine blew. Audi did nothing to help us even though we had the car serviced at the dealership every 10,000 miles for this exact reason. They even still expected us to make our monthly car payments. We ended up getting a new engine put in because our new car repair service had found a 2005 engine that was pretty reasonable. The same thing happened again last Friday.

New A6 Prestige purchased Dec 2019. On February 11th 2020 the new car just dies while spouse driving on Post Road in center lane with daughter in car. Car just stops and is immobile. Audi Emergency Roadside Assistance does not show up for 3 hours despite confirms two truck being sent and numerous calls for help. Car and spouse stranded in middle of dangerous road at rush hour. Fairfield Service Center engaged yet waiting on Audi Assistance service vs actually intervening to help a loyal local customer. Explanation is they are not responsible for roadside assistance? Car towed 3 plus hours after and no explanation why brand new car died. Safety was why we were loyal Audi clients for 12 years and 6 vehicles. Lack of safety is why that’s over. Questions linger on potential dangers of new A6 (reminder of sudden acceleration issues from past). The car suddenly dying if my spouse had been driving on I95 could have been much more dangerous. Post Road was dangerous enough. Disappointed and shocked after 12 years of loyalty to Audi cars and Fairfield Audi.

Audi offers a wide variety from family cars to sports cars that my family and I can enjoy. They also offer many upgrade and personalization options. The car software can be upgraded also. I love how sleek the Audi looks and I would definitely recommend it to others since it looks so good. It is one of the most beautiful cars. The passengers all fit in the car and there is even room left over for relaxing as the car is not too small. I am happy with the car size and enjoy driving in it.

My family has owned 6 VWs and Audis. The A4s were flawless, and the Tiguans worked well. The 2010 Q5 had mechanical and component issues and the new 2014 Q5 is getting gas mileage 10-20% below EPA sticker. Our overall mileage average is 10% below the city EPA value even though we live in the suburbs of Boston, and rarely drive into the city. I believe it is costing me $300-400 more per year in fuel. Audi says the car is operating within specification but I know what my mileage reading are. The Audi customer service people were professional when they delivered a finding I did not agree with. Otherwise the car works as promised. Have other readers had poor gas mileage???

I leased a brand new 2014 Audi A6 almost 2 years ago. I had 7 FLAT TIRES during this short period.... I am so frustrated that felt compelled to come on this site and complain (I have never reviewed anything in the past... I am very busy women and dont have time to complain but the 7th flat tire push me to the edge...) I dont know what these tires are made out of but all I have to say is that my family drive on the same road and they dont get flats... I owned 3 Mercedes, 1 Jetta, 1 Mazda and 1 Dogde car in the past and never (even once) had flat tire in my life time until I owned an Audi A6!!! I cant wait for my lease to be over so I can get rid of this Awful awful car...

Audi 2007 a4 2.0 Engine Defects - I bought an Audi convertible and a SUV together. I use the old used SUV and love it, but my Audi I treated like a baby. Tons of maintenance and care. It had a recall and camshaft replacement. Then oil consumption/oil pressure problems. Then second camshaft replacement. Feel like I was lied to about my engine problems. Now I need new engine. Was told by a mechanic all the defects and recalls caused metal in engine and ruined my engine. He said its Audis fault.

At end of lease- told residual is approx 12K- you would think thats what you could buy it for? Not close- have to go thru their dealer and they tack on over 1k in fees and Audi adds another 300 or so - in theory no termination fee If you buy it but they call it something else- Want to sell it directly to someone else?- Dont even think its going to happen then they charge what they call fmv- in my case 21k. Bottom line audi finance is a rip off - they tell you when you buy it that residual price is what you pay———NOT.

Yes. Hello! I purchased an Audi 5 Quattro in August. Recently, I was ready to turn my vehicle on when I was terrified by a loud banging on the glass. I screamed, thinking someone was trying to break into the car. I called Audis national line, and was told that they knew of no such incidents. I called my dealer, who said it had had a couple of like reports, but no breakage. The dealer just called back to say it would need the car through the weekend to loosen and lower the moon roof, as that was Audis international fix, and, indeed, breakage has occurred on some vehicles. I love my car, but I am very concerned, as I bought the car, specifically, to safely transport my granddaughter. Should I be assured by the fix? Will it compromise my vehicle? Where is Audis recall? I am seeking a proactive v. reactive response. Thank you!

Ive been purchasing Audi vehicles for the last fifteen years; primarily A6 Supercharged vehicles. Last March, I traded-in my 2016 A6 Prestige Supercharged for the 2021 A6 Prestige 55. From day one there have been issues. There has been nonstop rattling from the dash. The trunk opens without touching the button on the remote or truck latch door. Other times, when pressing the button on the trunk handle, the trunk wont open at all. I would have to take the key fob out of my pocket and press the button in order for the trunk door to open. That defeats the purpose of having the trunk door button on the trunk. This is another flaw of all 2019 and newer models. Numerous times when closing the trunk, we walk away and the trunk opens again without us touching anything!Same with the doors. Numerous times, we are unable to open the doors by placing our hand behind the door handle when the key fob is in our pocket. We have to take the key fob out of our pocket for the door handle to work. The dash rattle has been addressed numerous times, but never fixed. Its a horrible design flaw. No matter what the dealership attempts, it wont fix the poor design flaw. The bottom screen went out three times since purchasing the vehicle. The first time within two weeks of the purchase. Stay away from Audi vehicles from 2019 to current. Too many design flaws.

My wifes 2004 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T suffered major engine damage when her oil pickup became clogged with sludge. The car had been dealer serviced its entire life. Audi lost a class action lawsuit over this issue which requires them to fix any damages at 100%. We filed a claim with Audi, but they denied it - saying my wifes car falls outside the range of VIN numbers they supplied in the lawsuit. This is despite Audi admits the damage was caused by the exact same problem. I feel Audi intentionally left out the VIN numbers of a vast number of 2004 A4s in the course of the settlement.

I purchased my Audi S7 as a CPO at 49000 miles. The moment I received the car I noticed it had unusual shifting between 1st and 2nd gear, and how it behaves with just stop and go movement. It would be worst in stop and go traffic where the transmission would make a clunky noise and could be felt under the floor. So far they’ve updated ECM and Transmission Software, replaced Mechatronics, replaced multiple motor mounts and control arms ball joints etc, replaced weeping coolant and transmission fluid lines... and after being the 6th week in the shop currently they will replace the Dual Clutch and hope this solves the problem. This has already been my 4th time in the shop and the car has now spent over 60 days in the shop for the same issue. I’m even hesitant to take the car back anymore knowing how hard it was to battle a transmission problem from the start. It’s unfortunate all Techs only look for Fault Codes on a Computer when the problem can be a caused by a mechanical failure. At the end of the day, it’s not a shop foreman’s car, and he will never feel what you feel with the vehicle.

Please be aware that Audi subcontracts out their Roadside Assistance. I was stranded for 2 hours with a flat tire. The Jack Rabbit company Audi uses accepted a call to assist me. I waited 2 hours. They did not show up. When I called to ask where they were they stated they do not change tires. No one called to let me know. Audi then called a different subcontracted company who sent a teenager who was unable to change my tire because he could not locate the wheel locks. He was never inserviced on its location.I had to call Audi back and after 3 hours they sent a flat bed to tow my car to Audi. I paid for this poor service for 3 years. They do not notify their customers that Roadside assistance is subcontracted out to multiple incompetent poorly inserviced vendors. In addition a Audi subcontracted company inspected my car at lease end. It received a score with no issues that I was responsible for. Within 48 hours I had 2 tires with nails in them. One had blown out while driving. Did they truly inspect the car thoroughly? I hope this helps all who read this and please do your own due diligence to verify their Roadside Assistance Protocols.

It has been my greatest misfortune to have bought an Audi A4. Early on we recognized that we had two problems: one was the ever changing and replacing of the fuel pump and the second was the sludge problem. The first recognition of the sludge problem was on March 18, 2008. This receipt I have. It said Rich found possible oil sludge problem. We then visited Life Quality automobiles of Bay Ridge again on September of 2008 and November of 2008. On one of these dates we paid close to $6000 to fix the sludge problem. The receipt that I do have for 3/18/2008. We also have a service and change of oil at the Audi service center Life Quality. All service and oil changes have been made at Zumbach when were living in NYC. Then Life Quality and Audi of Brooklyn when we moved to Brooklyn.I dont have the receipt for September or November of 2008. I never thought that I would need it for a future claim. I went to the offices of Audi of Brooklyn in May of 2011 to try and get copies of the work but since they bought out Life Quality of Bay Ridge, they only kept the receipts for 2 years and they destroyed any receipts that would have been in my file. Their computer system shows I was in on those two months but they cannot see the details of those days.Once we did pay for the sludge problem, we were under a new 8-year warranty. In June 23, 2009, I was at Audi of Brooklyn and the sludge problem occurred again. I do have this receipt and they fixed the problem again; but since we were covered under the warranty, we did not pay this time.It has been painful monetarily to own an Audi. This sludge problem is ongoing and recurring. To ask me for copies of receipts after three years is unfair. In September of 2008 I had just moved into my new house in Brooklyn and I had just given birth to my son. It is understandable that some papers would have been misplaced.I would like to be reimbursed for my hardship with this car and the funds I paid to fix the initial sludge problem. The car right now has a sludge problem. I can’t keep fixing this problem; it is annoying. I really feel that I received a damaged engine and I would like Audi to replace it with a new or used undamaged engine. It is more costly for them to have to keep fixing an ongoing recurring problem.I am enclosing all and any of the receipts I do have. Replace my engine and reimburse for sludge costs.

I purchased this car 4 years ago from a friend who purchased it new. It had around 4,000 miles when I got it and in 4 years I put roughly 10,000 miles on the car and serviced it regularly. At around 14,000 miles in June of this year the car started blowing an excessive amount of bluish smoke from the exhaust so I took the car in to the dealership thinking they over filled the oil during an oil change. After 3 weeks of back and forth they tell me it needs a head gasket to my complete amazement. I explained to them that is impossible considering the car has never over heated, never asked for coolant and always ran at the same temp but they insisted. I naturally went online and began combing through message boards blogs and reviews discovering that there has been many documented FACTORY defects in this type of engine and the only way to fix it is to replace the engine. I passed this information along to the local Audi dealer and they stated the FACTORY rep says this is the fix and after raising hell they charged me $600 and fixed it. After 2-3 weeks I get the car back and day 1 the same problem pops up again just as I knew it would so I called the Audi dealer and took the car back. Roughly 1 week after they had it I received a call from them to inform me the car needs a new engine to the tune of roughly $30,000 and of course I called Audi North America explained my problems and obvious anger and concern as to how my $150,000 car needs a new engine at 14,000 miles and they of course were super nice explained they will do what they can to help and would get back to me. The dealer calls me several days later and says the Factory is willing to cut you a break and fix it for $5,600!!!!! Wow thank you sooo much so generous of you to charge me $6,000 to replace a defective engine you built that was destined to fail from the assembly line. Small back story....I purchased a 2007 Gallardo brand new with 0 miles in 2007 and at 103 miles the crank shaft sensor went bad and it sat in the shop for 3 months waiting for the part to come in (same company). Terrible customer service - obviously hate repeat customers. And if it costs them money would rather not help you. Mercedes Lexus Toyota would have stood behind their product where Audi refuses to do so!

I bought Audi A4, 2008 model sportline from a dealer in Jordan. After one month, I found that there is a major problem in the engine. I went to the dealer in Jordan who said that he cant repair the engine and he dont have any spare parts for the engine. The dealer policy is to replace the engine which cost about $16,250.00. We tried to find the spare parts from the local market but we cant so our car is stopped since three weeks. I dont know how people can buy Audi car while the dealer cant provide good service and spare parts. Actually, we pay $37,000.00 for such car but we cant use it because the dealer service is very bad. We lose too much for that and waiting for the AUDI company to keep their reputation.

I leased a 2015 Audi A6 at the end of August 2014. After the first 12 months the brakes started squeaking every so often and it went away the next few months and it would come back and forth. Now, in summer 2016 the brakes started squeaking even worse than before which was very embarrassing taking into consideration that you are paying for a new luxury car. My wife took it to Legend Audi Dealer in Amityville NY just to hear from them that it is normal and that we have to cope with the noise and they gave her a brochure to read. I am not satisfied how Audi is handling this issue as it appears that they can fix it by replacing the brake pads but they dont want to. Also, I found several similar issues on the web dating back to around 2010 where other people were complaining about this. It is not fair that I keep paying for a car with such defect not being addressed by the manufacturer, it is embarrassing and a shame that Audi is not taking hands on to fix this issue. They are making their brand undesirable and because of this I wont buy another Audi again. Audi also has less than average customer service, you pay for luxury car but get poor customer service. I also want to point out that I own a Mercedes and that Mercedes is very diligent on addressing any issues with their cars and do provide outstanding customer service. I originally had plans on leasing Audi cars, but not anymore as I am completely disappointed for not taking care of the squeaky brakes on my 2015 Audi A6 which I diligently pay every month.

My cars appearance is very nice. I got the color that I specified. The dash in my car looks more like black wood. It has a built in CD player, GPS navigation system and digital display. Its so cool and easy to read for mileage and gas. I had pin stripping put on mine. I also got the digital panel and voice activated GPS which I love as Im bad at directions. Its so helpful. You can also add a DVD player inside or internet. Size wise, I wanted more roomy model because I have long legs. My Audi can fit 3 in the front, but that is a little cramped for space and does not leave much legroom. But you can easily fit 3 in the back seat with lots of leg room, and still ride comfortably in the back.

I have leased Audis Flagship Sedan A8 in June 2013. The array of different problems ranging from complete replacement of steering system to the faulty MMI screen unit appeared shortly after. Though I was not enthused by these shortcomings, I liked the driving dynamics of the vehicle and enjoyed beautiful warm interior design. The pinnacle of this technological marvel came around 12000 miles. I have noticed a humming noise coming from the tires. I took the car to the local Audi dealership. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the service manager informed me of the following: Audi created the unique size of the tire (265/40/R20) and there are only Pirelli tires available in this size in all-season configuration. All these tires are making humming noise, even a new ones. Therefore he cannot help me. He also stated that many of his customers complain about this problem and he personally dislike Pirelli products. I was left with no choice, but to continue driving and listening to this humming symphony.By 20000 miles the noise became so loud, that it was hard to listen to the radio or talk on the phone without raising my voice. I placed a phone call to Pirelli headquarters who promptly refused to replace their product under the warranty. Taking into consideration that Ive been a loyal Audi customer for 14 years, I decided to write a letter to the executive committee of Audi of North America. I have informed them that they installed a low quality product on their Flagship Sedan and they created the size of the tire which is not available from any other tire manufacturer but Pirelli. Therefore they are equally responsible for this error in judgement. I have received a reply from so called Regional Expert shortly after. The letter was written in a monotonous standard script, which is most likely mailed to all their valued customers. The bottom line of the letter stated that I am a valued member of the Audi family, but I can take my problem somewhere else. Any other correspondence I wrote to Audi of North America in this regard and their main office in Germany was left unanswered. So, I went ahead and replaced noisy Pirelli tires with the same noisy Pirelli tires for the cost of $1300.00 and continue driving and listening to this humming noise, but to a lesser degree, while counting the days until I return this leased vehicle and forget about this nightmare.I want you all to know, if you decide to acquire one of their vehicles and you come up with a problem, which cannot be resolved on the dealership level, do not expect any help from the company no matter how many years you had been a valued member of Audi Family and no matter how much money you had previously spent on their products.

Bought a used (but looked like-new) 2004 Audi A4 1.8T. It had 82k miles on it from the previous owner of 10 years. No accidents, what could go wrong? Seemed like a diamond in the rough. Carfax said it never had major repairs done to it whatsoever. Seriously good deal right? Wrong. The dealers had left the car light on and blamed the last owner for making it a problem and having to change the battery. Dealers said theyd replace the battery before they sold it to me. Okay. Bought it, picked it up, went home. It sat there. Few days later? Dead car. Called the dealers, had them tow the car, sat in their off-the-map shop for 4 days with no communication because the mechanic was too busy and sounded annoyed the one time I tried to get in touch. It finally came home to me, only to find a scratched side mirror that wasnt there before (I have picture proof) and a check engine light. Next few days - dead again. Battery was fine, its something electrical. This is a good a time as any to mention that the car is completely automatic and locks everything. Can hardly get into the drivers side, all other doors are locked, trunk is locked, no real locks inside or key hole for truck, nope. All automatic. Huge hassle. Im getting a refund. Its more money than its worth. NEVER AGAIN.

I bought a brand new 2014 diesel Q7. I loved it, loved how it drove, the gas mileage, its acceleration and handling. I loved the sound system and how roomy it was, and how comfortable it was to drive and ride in from almost any seat. 3rd row kind of sucked, but usually their kids anyway. So what happened? The government. Freakin California says they lied about emissions. Diesels anywhere else in the world (literally - Ive been there) are mainstream BECAUSE of their fuel efficiency. So they pay me 8K to keep my car and fix it so that it meets ridiculous standards of emissions. I got it fixed May? of 2018. Its now been in the shop 2x for 7-10 days per time because of the ad blue light indicator/system being faulty. This last time they thought there was air in the lines so they had to have the mechanic drive it for 50 miles (with my permission - I live 2 hours from the dealer) to verify purging of the system. They also found out I had it chipped at some point - way before their fix and of course now they want to say their warranty for the fix is no longer viable. My performance chip that is no longer even connected due to their re-construction of my exhaust system has nothing to do with their ad-blue fiasco. Of course, in Audis best interest they no longer offer diesel vehicles in the US but will still offer them overseas. Along with VW who has a smashing replica in 2019 of what this car used to be. Overall, my husband and I have been very satisfied with the Audi vehicles weve purchased or leased since 2016. Weve owned/leased a 2017 A4, 2017 Q5, 2018 SQ5 and 2018 Q5. Unfortunately, what is very disappointing is Audis lack of customer support or loyalty. A few months ago, my husband unexpectedly passed away leaving me with two leased Audis. Understanding that we did enter into leases with strict lease conditions on these two cars, given my personal situation and that my husband and I had a good history with Audi, I still wanted to see if Audi could help me in any way as I couldnt keep 2 leased vehicles under the present circumstances. I had heard that some car companies are very helpful when a lease holder becomes deceased. Ends up Audi is not one of those car companies and they were of absolutely no help. The dealer told me they couldnt do anything and to talk to Audi Financial as they owned the leases. Audi Financial told me I could turn in one of the cars but Id still have to make the payments and that I should go back and talk to the dealer to see if they would purchase the car back. Long story short, I ended up buying out one of the cars and selling it through a car broker (at a loss but at least I no longer have to make the car payments), and will continue to lease the other car until the lease expires. At that time I will purchase something different as I am very disappointed in Audis lack of customer support or loyalty.

Really? **? The car only has 70k miles on it and has been the scheduled services. I have done nothing wrong! Ryan, the so-called Eastern District Supervisor at Audi, said Im asking too much of Audi to take care of this; its passed the 50k warranty! He said if I would have done this earlier in 2008, they would have replaced the transmission. Really? Thats how Audi treats customers? I checked the internet. There are hundreds of Audis with transmission problems just like this! There should be a 100k warranty from the factory on the transmission and Audi should stand behind their vehicles. Audi knows this problem exists with TTs. Im going to file a lemon law complaint and contact the president of Audi until this is fixed! I spent way too much money on this high performance vehicle to have the transmission crap out like this, and then theyre going to stick it to me with a ridiculous $7000 transmission replacement, which they said theyd reduce but thats not good enough. They need to replace my transmission because its Audis bad design that everyones transmission is going out. Shame on you Audi! I thought you were better than this.

My Audi ownership experience was pretty frustrating and ultimately a big disappointment. I bought a 2012 A6 from the Audi Exchange in Highland Park, IL. The vehicle supposedly had undergone a thorough 300+ point dealer inspection process; one so exhaustive that no other manufacturer can lay claim to a more thorough Certified pre-owned inspection process. Wow, sounded impressive. So, imagine my surprise when, not long after I purchased my car, I learned that it had been in a serious accident and the repairs had not done to spec. I contacted the Audi Exchange about it. At first they denied any knowledge of the accident. But when I brought the car in to be examined, they did admit to knowing about the damage. However, they just hemmed and hawed and said they didnt think the work looked *too* bad. Bottomline: they said you bought a used car and that was it.I contacted Audi of America figuring they would intervene. But, to my surprise, all they did was send me a canned thanks for sharing your concerns response and I never heard from them again. So much for the pledge to do everything we can to keep the dream alive by offering you an ownership experience that rivals even those of the most exclusive clubs in the world. I keep getting marketing mail from Audi encouraging me to come by and check out new models. Uh, no thanks. I would rather walk than buy another Audi.

I just recently purchased a brand new 2015 Audi Q3, 2 months today. It had 70 miles on it when purchased and now has 1,400 miles. I took it back to the dealership last week due to a knocking noise in the back area. I was told today that it had a faulty strut bearing and needs to be replaced. The car barely has any miles on it. I feel as though Ive purchased a very expensive lemon and I want another new one!

Selection that covers every stage of life - young, sporty... safe and practical. Easy to park, full of technical equipment that make life interesting, automatic parking lights, etc. Beautiful selection of colors that make your choice stand out from the crowd... Beautiful choice of leather seats in pale cream which you can travel a great distance in without backache. Ability to adjust seating exactly to your needs and carpets which matched interior. Stereo system to make your journey go quickly which was easy to control. Navigation system which was easy to use, breaking system great in snow and Bluetooth phone. 4 passengers can fit in the car although the seating at the back was tight for anybody over 6 foot. The car was easy to steer when full and the boot had enough room for shopping and yoga mat.

It was horrible. This was my first time buying a used car and it turned out to be the worst experience of my life so far, with all the headaches, confusion, lies and scummy dealers and dealerships. On June 1, 2010, I purchased (financed) a 2005 Audi A6 with 58,000 miles. The car was treated and maintained, as told. By the end of January, I experienced almost a near death accident while on my way home driving the car. It began to shake out of control. The steering wheel locked up and the brakes locked up. I was scared for my life so I pulled the emergency brake. And before I hit the car parked to the right of me, the whole car shut off completely and wouldnt start. I thought I needed a jumper but that wasnt the answer so I had the car towed to the nearest parking space until Audi of Manhattan opened for business the next morning.I paid for the car to be towed there where they diagnosed that my 6-month old investment’s engine failed and seized up. I got the estimate of repairs from the dealership. They told me it would cost a whopping $6,000 for a new motor and about $3,000 for the repair work from Audi. I was sad to hear the news but was confused, alongside with the service team, at why a motor with 64,000 miles would seize if there was nothing wrong and the car was treated like a charm.I finally got enough money, after a few months of parking garages and receiving tickets for my car being unable to move, to pay for the repair. I spent $3,999 on a motor and about $1,000 on repair work.Im writing as an innocent consumer who faced an evil and crooked dealership without the knowledge of what they were capable of doing. And thats ruining innocent consumers like me life and pockets as we know it. I was stuck with a car that was unable to move, let alone start, so I can drive. Paul ** offered no assistance. Audi of America was no help either. Thats why Im turning to this consumer help and small claims court to seek the justice I deserve and stop the crooked dealers out there from destroying another consumer’s hard work and earned money.

Bought the new 2014 A3 s line 150bhp. Since buying the car, its been back to the dealers 8 times with a problem with the suspension. When going over speed humps, its grinding. Audi cant find the problem. Its been going on 4 month now and still the same. They have had a main man from London Audi to look at it. Said it needs some grease put in a bush???? But still same. Now theyre telling me it needs some different grease put on it and it could take another 2-3 weeks. Audi c/s been no help. Theyre saying it could be the characteristics of the car now. Ha ha, so you buy a new Audi to grind over speed humps.

I bought my Audi A6 a few months ago, and I was happy with it until a few weeks ago in which it started having problem with dash switches and eventually all switches lost their functionality. I could no longer use satellite navigation nor mobile. Because the car is under warranty, I took that to Audi Stafford. I was told that corrosion has developed under the switches! Since it is an outside influence, the warranty does not apply! Such a strange reason to decline the warranty. This is a major problem, and I hope it is a one off. Otherwise, I call that a major design fault. If this is the case, then all Audi having this switching feature needs to be recalled; and I certainly like to know if this is the case. I could not convince the service manager, and that is why I am contacting you.I like to have an explanation and reason why a car of this age (less than 3 years old) must develop corrosion. Bear in mind that corrosion is a gradual process. And now even worse, the Audi is not even accepting to fix the car under warranty. I was very disappointed when I heard that the switches carry no IP rating. That means they are susceptible to humidity, let alone water ingress. If this happens to a Ford Escort, I will still be surprised. We are talking about a top class car, and I do expect minimum requirement. Some time ago, my son dropped my Nokia into the sink. The mobile stopped working for a few days, and then it came back to life.I am dealing with issues like that, and we design electronics and mechanical devices. All PCBs used have an extra water proof cover to prevent it from any ingress and even splash of water. Does Audi protect its internal electronics with anything? I do not like to use any harsh language at all, as this may be a one off case; however, this car must be repaired under warranty.I had another issue like that a few years ago with my other car, Toyota Avensis; and it was not even under warranty (after 6 years) when both of its front lights failed. Toyota finally accepted to repair my car when I wrote to Watch dog and Trading Standard. I appreciate your immediate attention on this matter.

These vehicles tend to be extremely visually pleasing, stylish and sleek. These are usually futuristic looking and quite stunning to see. And these vehicles tend to be quite accommodating to multiple passengers with the exception of the spot models. They usually have great leg and head room. Great size for families or large people. And there is a fair amount of variety and selection. I do feel they are highly overpriced when it comes to maintaining the vehicle. They can be reliable but when they break parts can cost more than the vehicle itself. Custom wheels, custom sound systems, custom paint and custom interior options. Also custom accessory packages. These custom features tend to increase the price dramatically.

A4, A5, A6 models. This is a luxury sedan wth lots of great features and an upscale interior to match the beautiful exterior. It drives smoothly, and is very low maintenance... There is no need for frequent repairs and no major issues to worry about. The Audi A4 is an upscale sedan with a beautiful, sleek exterior, and a well-designed interior that makes the cabin surprisingly spacious for a car its size. Theres no lack of attention to detail given to the interior cabin, with its wood and leather finishes. This sedan, though it appears to be a smaller sedan, is surprisingly spacious. The interior cabin comfortably seats five passengers, and even those who are taller still have enough leg room to move around in. Even though the car comes loaded with many features that would be upgrades on other brands, the Audi A4 offers its buyers a variety of options for personalizing and upgrading their vehicle, such as engine power, sunroof, and interior finishes.

I took my 2016 Red Audi A4 to Audi of South Atlanta in Union City Georgia on 12/12/2018 in the afternoon hours. I took it for the after coolant pump recall and to get a diagnostic as to why my reverse camera would intermittently work. I got there, dropped off the car, signed for my loaner car & acknowledged the 149$ diagnostic fee. Upon taking the trunk apart they came upon my wiring harness underneath the deck lid had been cut and taped back together possibly by a previous body shop that repaired the car after an accident back in 2016 when I got the car new. They were saying that over the course of two years and the wires being held back together by tape that they became loose. We then got State Farm involved and did a 3 way call with the dealership and they agreed to do another tear down at the cost of State Farm, as I had requested them not do any repair work as I would take it up with the previous body shop. But State Farm wanted to send an adjuster out to get an estimate of the damage. Hear nothing until 12-26-2018 When I got an email about the findings and if I wanted to do the repairs or not, and I did NOT respond to the email I instead asked Tim ** the service adviser why I was receiving the email and if it was just automated because the last communication I had during the 3 way call was that State Farm was paying for the repairs not me that I never wanted the work done if I was going to be responsible for the bill. He text me and said “Let me verify with State Farm that they are bringing a check by today or tomorrow”. 12-27-2018 I hear from Tim ** that State Farm is denying the repair and that the repair has already been completed because they sent him over the document containing the estimate he took that as approval for repairs is what he told me. I asked to see said document because I was not in any communication about the repair being done until after the fact. He texts on the same date how pissed he is because the State Farm claims adjuster would not allow him to speak to his supervisor and ask if I would call them the next day and allow a 3 way call with the supervisor of said claims agent “Carter”. Over the next business day when Tim ** realized that State Farm was not going to pay for repairs as they did not and have no right to do approve repairs to my car only I can approve said repairs and I NEVER approved ANY repairs!! So they start looking at me for the money, first telling me the cost of the repair telling me & the advisor at Audi of America that I need to pay it and go after my insurance company for reimbursement. Then when they realize I am not about to pay almost 2k for this repair they then tell me they could charge me the 725$ for the rental car which my agreement was for a “Loaner” car… A few days going back and forth with my local agent, this dealer, and the sheriffs department they then agree to release the car for a lowered amount of $500 and they put my broken part back in and keep their new part. I declined once again as the only thing I approved was a $149 diagnostic fee. I then call Audi Financial who I have the vehicle financed with and told them the story and they really weren’t much help. So after being threatened with the cost of the loaner Audi I decided to return it and get a few things out of my car since it was clear they were going to have it for quite some time. When they finally bring my car around for me to retrieve property out of they had in my front seat my LICENSE PLATE to take with me… talk about taking possession of something I have paid 27k for to this day… WOW! Then I start looking into legal options and possibly even just letting Audi reposes the vehicle as it was going on 3 weeks and no one wanted to help me when this dealer was Clearly STEALING MY CAR!!! I let it go for a week or two this new year as I was stressing way too much. Today on 01-21-2019 I call and speak with service manager Allen, I was being nice considering this dealer has done nothing but rob me for 4 weeks as I’m paying a car payment and insurance on a car they have. I ask if they would consider $350 instead of $500 like they had offered a few weeks back to just put this all behind us since they were in the wrong for doing repairs I never approved and he said no that is not what he and the service advisor offered me and that to take the car off the lot it would be the full $500. I said, Okay if you all want to continue being crooks I will find a way to get my car and he interrupts me and says that they are not crooks and if that is how I felt that I can pay the full invoice price and to not come up there to get the vehicle until I have all the money including the loaner car and hangs up!!! Here I am going out of my way to be the bigger person and Pay them money of any amount other than $149 and I get that type of attitude and yelling from a member or management?? I guess this is what to expect when owned by Buttler Automotive Group out of Macon Ga… Update to come when I retrieve my car.

2004 Audi TT - The heat wave we experienced this past summer caused my rear window to separate from the convertible top. I have attempted numerous ways of repairing it. All have failed. Audis solution is an entire new top at $4600. Corporate became involved and Commonwealth Audi offered a 20% discount, which is still not affordable. Mercury Insurance refused to pay for it stating this is normal wear and tear! The car was stored in a garage and the top was used maybe 10 times in a 3 year span. The car cost $28,0000 which was paid in full and is 10 years old. I expected the quality of an Audi to outlast much longer than this. I am now driving it around with a playground ball holding it in place. Most recently its running on hot now and will need repair. It has been one thing after another and I am extremely unhappy with this car and the responses I have received from both my insurance company and Audi.

I purchased an Audi used with 21,000 kms. Since owning it, I had some major stuttering during acceleration. The technicians had it in the shop no less than 5 times replacing parts or cleaning injectors. Just before warranty ran out, I asked if I had their commitment to repair this known problem before the warranty ran out - I had this in writing. Sure enough, even though I was promised a fifth time that it was repaired, the same issue occurred. Since this was after warranty the dealer had to use good will, but after a few attempts gave up and pretty much left me to deal with Audi Canada directly. Audi Canada suggest it was the wiring harness or computer that could have been making the issue and offered to pay 50% of the total cost. Even though this should have been covered under warranty in the first place, they would not budge and gave me an ultimatum that if I didnt accept the offer, they would retract it. Even worse, after agreeing, I asked if this would be a guaranteed fix. They said, No guarantee and no refund if this did not fix the issue. So, less for me. I will NEVER buy an Audi again. I love the look and feeling of the drive, but the customer service was absolutely brutal. Never have I been treated so poorly for such a top price item. I was basically speaking to a brick wall when dealing with Audi Canada. The dealer was great but had to abide by Audi Canada. Seriously, think twice before you buy an Audi!

Purchased a new vehicle and was convinced by my dealer to finance through Audi in order to get a credit off the purchase price. Asked if there was a payoff penalty and was assured there was none. After the 2 month waiting period required for Audi Financial to establish the account, I contacted them for a payoff quote. This is only good for 10 days. In that period of time, I re-financed through my credit union and had them send a check directly to Audi Financial. Audi claims they never received the first check, so my credit union issued a second check which was received. Unfortunately, Audi Financial did not honor the first pay off amount so due to the interest accrual, I continued to get statements with Balance Due = $0.00.After the 3rd statement of this type, I contacted Audi Financial and they said that they had not put the check from my credit union as a pay off amount. They just put the money towards my payments and my next payment wasnt due until Jan 19, 2023 (the last payment). But my vehicle was still not technically paid off. In the last phone conversation I had with Audi Financial, I was told that they had received the first check but there was a problem with the account number so they didnt apply it to the loan - which would have paid off my loan. Seems like it was very intentional in order to get more interest from the loan/financing. Although there is not a technical charge for paying off the loan at Audi Financial, it seems that they have ways of getting the most interest possible from their customers. I love my Audi vehicle, but I will never use Audi Financial again.

I purchased a Certified Pre Owned Audi A8 with 17K miles. Audi claims they have a 300 point checklist and vigorous standards for accepting vehicles in to the program, for which there is usually a premium to pay. When I received my vehicle, it was immediately very evident, while the car was still on the transport truck that it had been in a serious accident. The entire drivers side of the vehicle had been repaired and repainted. There are still creases in the front and rear door. The paint is mismatched. Sand marks are still visible under the paint. The windshield was replaced with the incorrect windshield so the heads up display does not function properly. One tire had extensive damage and was plugged adjacent to side wall. I was advised not to drive the vehicle with that tire by our local Goodyear Tire Center. There is paint overspray on the instrument cluster and dash that simply will not come out. I can continue on - the car is a mess. The dealer isnt responding so I called Audi. My customer care experience with Audi has been atrocious. They have absolutely no concern that one of their dealers sold a car as certified but didnt check the simplest of items. The damaged tire alone should have precluded the car from being certified. The first person from Audi Customer Care that I spoke to ask me so what do you want Audi to do? Well, I guess that about sums it up. They fight tooth and nail to escalate the problem to management, and when they said they would - i had to call them back, Its been nearly three weeks. I advise you to stay away from Audi Certified Pre Owned vehicles. They program isnt worth the paper it is written on. Ive purchased CPO BMWs and Porsches in the past and had fabulous experiences. Audi just doesnt measure up. Im embarrassed that Ive allowed myself to be taken advantage of this way, and Im furious that Audi just doesnt care.

Bought a certified pre-owned 2009 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0 in December 2010 and within two weeks the oil light came on. Brought it back for service, thought it was a simple oversight and that it had been fixed. Little did we know then how that yellow check oil light would come to dominate our lives, limit our use and enjoyment of the car, and empty our wallets. Within the first three years we had the car serviced so many times for excessive oil consumption that we finally took to the internet and found we werent the only ones with this issue. After 43,000 miles and countless service visits, we demanded that Audi rectify the problem and (because the car was still under warranty), they replaced the pistons and rings at no cost.Fast forward two years to December 2015, and, at 91,000 miles (just outside of warranty, of course) an ominous turn off engine immediately and check oil warning appeared on the dashboard. Brought the car in for service right away and found that the engine had a leaking intake manifold. Dealer replaced manifold at cost of $1K. One week later, check engine light went on. Brought the car back to Audi and this time, the water pump needed replacing (another $1K). A few days later, that ominous turn off engine immediately and check oil warning appeared again. Brought the car back YET AGAIN. Service department informed us that they had found metal shavings in the engine pan, indicating that engine parts were grating and the engine was compromised. They told us that we needed an entirely new engine, at a cost of almost $11,000!! We were livid. Dealer went to Audi North America and they offered to pay for half. Now we are stuck with a dead car and the prospect of having to pay another $5300 (for a total of $7300 since December) to make what is now a lemon drivable. We believe that Audi should take full ownership of this, as they replaced the pistons and rings on an engine that they knew was faulty. And, we are left wondering if the replacement of the intake manifold parts somehow compromised the engine, resulting in the engine failure (the timing of the engine failure was just a bit too coincidental). We bought this car for what we thought was exceptional Audi performance, reliability and service. Its unbelievable to see here how many others have suffered the same substandard customer service for what is clearly an inferior, shoddily manufactured car. Perhaps theres another class action suit against Audi- this time for engine failure- waiting to be brought to light. My hope is that by writing this, others will steer clear of all Audi cars, both new and used. Maybe once Audis bottom line is affected, theyll start paying more attention to quality control and the real people who drive their cars.

Ive been a customer of Audi for 5 yrs and I have to admit I do change them quite often (6 in the 5 yrs). I cash purchase. (I now know its a big no-no to buy cash!... but Id never had a problem before.)Heres just a little of whats been going on with my Audi A4...November 2012...We traveled to Audi in Carlisle and purchased an Audi A4 (61 plate ex demo) for $18,990.18th December, 2012... We had an egg smell coming from the vehicle, we called a local Audi and we were told that the car is new and the smell will disperse as the car is new and the parts sometimes burn off excess oil?23rd December, 2012... During a family day out with the children, we traveled down the A1 to see family and do some last minute Christmas shopping. The smell and heat coming from the vehicle was very apparent, but after a call to Audi, we were told to ignore it, so we did. On the return journey, the car started billowing black smoke, and the heat and smell were strong enough for us to have to pull over and require assistance from RAC/Audi Assistance... We were told that the car had a clutch failure and it had to go into Audi Teesside for repairs.**I required a courtesy car during this period and Audi Assist, who knew I had 3 children, issued me with a 2-seater Audi TT!? This scuppered nearly all of our family Christmas plans, but as my gran was over from Germany and I knew this may be the last Christmas I have with her, I was determined to get to were she was from Teesside. This was a mammoth task with a family of 5 and a 2-seater car. Two of the children nor myself got to see gran before she left, unfortunately (she passed 2 weeks later).**9th January, 2013... I received a call from Gemma ** in Audi customer services to say that my car was being delivered back to me today as it has been fixed. It had apparently needed a new clutch, which had now been done, and we were able to take it back. She had just been informed from the dealers (Teesside Audi) that the work was complete.9th January, 2013... My car was delivered back at lunchtime with an invoice stating that my car had been fitted with a new clutch, and oil had been topped up (under warranty work). So I decided to drive to my local Tesco with my little daughter. Within half a mile, I noticed the smell initially, and the heat followed. I spotted some light smoke coming from the bonnet so I pulled over. I decided to call Teesside and spoke to Mark, who had apparently carried out the work, and I told him what was happening to my car. He said the car is going through what is called a regeneration and I was to ignore it and keep driving. I also rung Gemma and she said he knows what hes talking about, and with a new part, sometimes they give off a smell and I was to do what he said...I drove another mile up the road when my car once again was smoking and other road users and bystanders where signalling for me to pull over... Completely frightened and not knowing what to do, I quickly pulled over, and as I left my vehicle, a fellow driver approached and said that looks dangerous and I was to stand back with the little one... I did so, and he and another man cautiously opened my bonnet. With that, a ball of black smoke and fire shot from the front of my car... I called RAC/Audi Assist who came to me at the roadside. It took him 90 minutes to arrive at the vehicle and he stated that he could smell my car more than 100 yards away. He wouldnt move it whilst the car was still so hot, so he left it to be later recovered by Ron Perry (a tow company)... I called Gemma to let her know and she told me it turned out that Mark in Teesside had not even repaired the car, and she felt awful that shed allowed me to take this vehicle back when they hadnt done anything to it by way of repair... Marks excuse was that he thought I was imagining it!? But he had provided us with an invoice to say these works had been carried out? Gemma said she wasnt happy with what had happened and she felt somewhat responsible, so she advised that I put a formal complaint in writing to the branch about this technician and she was doing the same on her end as she felt partly responsible, and that she was referring my case to the executive office. My car was taken to the Audi Tyneside garage where they discovered that the clutch was completely burnt out and desperately needed replacing. Richard from Tyneside said that if the car had been driven any further, it could of been much worse. (I have to add that Richard and Mark in Tyneside gave me a fantastic level of care and commitment I felt looked after whilst in there capable hands...)2nd February, 2013... I receive a call to say my car is repaired and it can be brought back to me. 8th February, 2013... The car breaks down, clutch slipped. 14th Feb, 2013... I get my car back, but during a road test, it fails and the clutch fails again.21st Feb, 2013... The clutch was replaced again, and once again, I am given my car back. We were away 25th Feb to 11th March, and upon returning, the car wouldnt start. Once again, the car is towed, and were told that the 2nd base plate on the clutch has corroded and it needs another new part (a base plate?) 26th March, 2013... We get our car back, and for the first week or so, it seems to be driving o.k.4th April, 2013... The car has started pulling to the left and the egg smell and smoke has returned, we call RAC and have it towed to a different garage (Harrogate). Maybe some fresh eyes will help and finally give us a car we can use. We receive a call to say that the vehicle may be pulling due to the tyres, so by replacing them, this may help the problem. We paid 500+VAT to have the tyres replaced, only to be told two days later that during further investigation its been found that the clutch has slipped again. We were also told that the new model of Audi has a larger gap for the clutch, but as Audis are using an older model of clutch, the clutch is able to move around and this is why it keeps slipping. A new part is ordered again to replace the small one.22nd April... My car is brought back. Im informed that they couldnt fit the new part as it didnt work. All they could do is tighten the clutch and hope for the best, but during towing it back to me, my car was damaged during transportation. The low load driver couldnt apologise enough for the damage, and after letting me see what had happened, he took it back away again to have the damage repaired... I was utterly devastated and slowly losing faith and patience.29th April 2013... The car is brought back with no damage and the drive of it seems ok.6th May... The car stalls and the smell is back. The car goes in to Harrogate which is were it is now... Ive told them Im fed up now. I spent nearly twenty thousand pounds (which I paid for in cash) for a car which is wholly unreliable. And as Ive been told on at least 5 occasions it is Not fit for purpose, I called Audi and asked what my next step is as I believe Ive given Audi more than ample opportunity to repair my vehicle, which still hasnt happened. I have done everything Audi has asked of me and some and now I cant take anymore. I cant continue to put my children into something that I dont trust and is so unreliable. On the 9th of May, I wrote a letter of rejection for the vehicle to Audi UK and a copy went to the garage I purchased it from. I dont feel Im getting any further forward so Trading Standards Tanvir has requested that he take over this whole case. Hes advising I go to the press and sue for negligence, but this is not really my thing. I just want what I paid for - a prestige car from a prestige company, and as a loyal Audi customer for over 5 years, I dont want to go down this route.Last month, I contacted Martin Winterkorns P.A., who gave me Verena ** (VWG M.D- P.A) contact details name and number, and she said they will be able to help, which wasnt the case. They are now basically saying that if I remove my complaint against the technician, they will help; otherwise, pay for further work myself... The whole thing got passed over to Lee **, an Audi exec, and he is a complete plank who doesnt care about customers... service... duty of care, so Ive sent everything over to Motor Codes and theyre investigating.Sorry, its so long-winded, but I wanted to get all the details in. Does anyone know if theres anything else I can do? Thanks, guys.

I leased a car with Audi in Dec of 2015 and prepaid my taxes. In May of 2017, the car was stolen. There were injuries to the driver. Audi came back to me in 2019 trying to collect property taxes again. At no time did Audi attempt to make the situation better nor did they even discount the second lease. They also failed to turn in the car as stolen in 2017 with the assessment. And then they turned me over to a collection agency after coming forward two years later.

My new car has 10,000 km. On a very cold morning this past January, my power steering malfunctioned while I was driving home. No steering is a very scary experience. Thank God I was not far from my home and could walk to my house. The steering column was changed. Two days later it happened again. This time I was told to let it warm up for 20 minutes and the power steering came back. Last Friday, it happened again but this time after idling for one and a half hours, I still had no steering. I am female and do not have the strength in my arms to steer without power steering. Apparently, this problem is common with S4 & SQ5, since 2014, when it is very cold. The steering column is being changed again. I called Audi Canada and was told that this problem is caused by extreme cold weather. The dealer told me to let it warm up for 30 minutes before driving it which makes no sense to me just to go to the corner store. I love my car but now feel very insecure when driving it. There is no recall for this part that keeps malfunctioning. If Audi sells cars in Quebec, then they should be reliable in cold weather. So much for their TV ad that boasts winter is Audi land!?!

I bought a brand new 2018 Audi Q5 thinking it as my dream car. It brought such a dismay & disappointment within a few days of buying with lots of problems popping up every day. Problems seen and fixed: 1. There was this squeaking noise from the back: Fixed after two visits and I had show them where the problem was happening. 2. The backlights not working. SUV in the garage currently to address this problem as on 12/06/2017. 3. Window regulator gone bad. Replaced and FIXED it. 4. Auto sense start & stop feature not working if the AC is ON. - Still not fixed as on 12/06/2017. SUV is with the dealers regarding this issue. 5. Numerous minute scratches all over the car the day it was bought. I was so disheartened seeing the scratches. All these complaint were taken to the dealer & The Audi North America too. After explaining the problems the service providers were not able to even figure out the problems. I had to go twice to explain them over & over. The dealers are still trying to figure out the solutions for some issues. I have already visited the dealer at least 6-7 times & right now my car is still in the garage since 2 weeks. The Audi USA are of no help. They took 2 months to respond to my case & said that the dealer would take care of it.And the car is still in the garage as I write this review. My Only question after buying brand new car are: 1. Why should I undergo this mess and waste of time/energy after buying a BRAND NEW CAR. 2. How come AUDI has not done any quality control before delivering the car. 3. How can they deliver a car like this to the customers and then have the customer go over this pain, distress and frustration. 4. Why should I visit dealers again and again to leave the BRAND NEW SUV for repairs after paying full price to buy the vehicle.

Audi offers a lot of variety and different styles from SUVs to sedans. Audi SUVs are 4 passenger and sedans 4 as well. Audis sport models offer 2 passenger seating with race car features. I prefer sedans but the variety in styles is amazing. Audi is designing cars better than the rest at a good price. It is leading the way in stylish car making. It has a distinct style from the rest of the other luxury car makers. It has a very luxurious style to all their models and come fully loaded with all the features that you want. The stereo system is amazing and the speakers are booming. Audi offers a variety of upgrades and many personalization options to make it styled to fit your personality and everyones needs. Upgrade to all leather seats and power everything.

I leased an Audi A6 and just from the first day the car trembles heavily when I turned it on, and also at low speed it accelerates erratically, took it to the dealer at North Miami and they check the car and states that the car perform like similar vehicles of his class. My second complaint is that braking in high speed is poorly responsive and apparently the brakes are also fine. Called Audi Financial services and if I want to transfer my lease my name have to stay in the lease. I really have to accept I made a huge mistake to switch from my BMW to Audi.

I purchased Q7 4.2 2007 in 2006. It was one of the first 1000 made worldwide and I received complimentary maintenance service up to 50K miles. Zoltan ** at Seattle University Audi was very good. So good, we bought another car from him later. :-) I have now (2014) 86K miles on it. I have had some small issues like broken window screen on the left side and stuck screen on the right (so far I have not fixed any). Cracked and eventually separated air filter housing intake (I have used Gorilla tape for that). I have changed brake pads, spark plugs, battery, some light bulbs. All by myself. No major issues. This car is very well made and I am very happy with it. Its heavy on gas, but I already knew that when I bought it. All fluids are done on time, most of the time at Audi dealer. It burns oil, but thats nothing new. Considering mileage, I have not had any serious problems. I am going to keep driving it and see how much longer it will last. Hoping for 300K.

I bought a 2002 Audi and it was slightly used when I bought it, but in excellent condition. However, after several trips to the Audi dealer for repairs, my car caught on fire under the dashboard (electrical fire). I began to search the internet to see what I could possibly do and to find out if there had been other experiences like mine. Fortunately, I did and found out not only there had been more cases similar to mine, but that they had had serious issues over the years with Audi cars catching on fire.

This car will last me forever. Great high end car. Comes with all the bells and whistles like your butt to be warm. Love the leather which means I get heated seats. The sunroof is so great to have even if you only need a little air. Automatic windows are great. Could use a few more upgrade but for the most part I am happy with what I have and could not dream about getting rid of it anytime soon. There is plenty of leg room for everyone. There is even 3rd row which is nice when you ride the extra room. I would never get rid of my car.

Audi car models somewhat look the same but I am okay with that and would maybe recommend it to someone. The driving is good but the verity is lacking a little bit. I do not think that there is actually a way to customize the car. I just drive it because I have to. The car is small and usually only holds about 3 people but we can all squeeze together. It is kinda nice but I wish it had more space to move around and carry people around with it. I like bigger cars but my spouse wanted this brand of car. I would probably choose a different dealer next time and get a car that is bigger.

Ive had nothing but problems with my Audi S6 since I bought it. Dealer just replaced 2 leaking high-pressure fuel pumps and 5 fuel injectors a couple weeks ago. I was driving home after I got it back and smelt gas but didnt really think much of it at the time and thought it may have been something I was driving past. The next morning when I was letting the car warm up and getting my kids ready for school, I noticed the gas smell again and saw the car spewing gas from the engine. Car was towed to the dealer and they said it was a fuel injector failure. Called Audi of America and they basically said sorry for your issues, but just deal with them; we dont care about you or your kids, in short. This car is unsafe and Id just like to warn everyone of this failure and the way AUDI responds to the problems. The car was running with no warning that fuel was spewing from the engine! Hows that for engineering? If only someone drove by and threw a cigarette butt, or I drove the car and the leaking gas ignited. This is now 2 fuels leaks; one right after the dealer fixed the other. Oh, let me also mention that the AUDI dealer had my car for 4-months to fix the first fuel leak! They were arguing with me that it was a bad battery in the car. It was only after some techs were sent in from another AUDI dealer that they discovered the fuel issues.

Audi A4 2003 original owner - After replacing our timing belt and water pump, a problem with heating begins. Then three years ago, the dealership asked us to replace the heater core to resolve the problem with blowing only cold air instead of hot through the heating system during the winter. The cooling system works fine. I was against that because there wasnt any reason the heater core to stop working at once. I changed the dealership, but they obviously had the same policy everywhere not to diagnose, only replace part in order to make money. I gave up and replaced the heater core. As I expected, it didnt resolve the problem at all. After three years of flushing the system at the same dealership, they diagnosed again that the heater core shall be replaced at my expense. It is very disappointing that a relatively good car has so bad service and looks like a not professional service at all.

The Audi FSI engines are subject to heavy carbon build up so beware before buying one. My issue that I have beside the carbon build up is the timing chain. My 2007 4.2 Q7 jumps out of timing, causing the SUV to shake at idle speeds, misfire, and turns on the CEL light that makes you fail smog tests. At this time, Audi service center has had the SUV for about 4 -5 weeks and still cant fix the problem. The entire engine has to be dropped to service the 4 chains and chain tensioners, etc. The dealership avoided dropping the engine and we recently found out were trying troubleshooting by moving can adjuster to the another side of engine. They gave us a loaner to use but just want our SUV back and fixed to smog for DMV, then get rid off. The Audi dealership stated that they had to recently service 4 engines that had timing problems and think they will see more as the Q7s age with miles. I just want to know if anyone else has had the same problem with the timing on their Q7 3.0 or 4.2. If so, please contact me. Want to hear your problem and how it was resolved. My miles is about 74,000 miles. I think Audi will need recall or repair or class action suit is needed. 2014 is coming and the 2007-2009 will hit higher mileage and should all have problems with these thin timing chains.

Audi S8 2007 5.2 v8 - I have been having a problem with the coolant level for more than 12 months. Audi maintenance center tried to solve the problems 4 times and the problem keeps coming back. They do not know how to fix the problem. During this annoying and catastrophic experience through the last year, the car was parked for more than 6 months for solving this problem without any results. The body of the car has been scratched from 5 different areas 2 different times. Is this really how Audi deals in maintenance? I have complained to the GM of Audi in Jordan and he invited me for a cup of coffee at his office. I went there, met him, drank the coffee and the maintenance manager was there. They promised me that this problem will be solved, but the problem still exists without any improvement in this dramatic claim. What should I do?

I was looking for a 2012 model Audi TT with white exterior and red interior. This model is not easy to find. I went to Continental Audi, located in Naperville, Illinois. They offered me a good deal and got my $2,000 deposit, but they were unable to get me the car. I waited for 2 weeks and I still have not received any news. I then requested for the refund, but the dealers did not reply my phone calls and simply just ignored me. Until now, I still havent got my deposit back. I do not recommend this dealership at all, because their service is really bad and disappointing. As customers, we should be treated nicely. With that being said, they owed me the money, and they procrastinated to refund it to me.

I cannot find the words how unhappy we are with the customer service from Audi Financial services. Its mind boggling how a luxury automaker offers such a poor customer service experience from their financial services team. I was told that the only way to set-up auto pay for my lease was to call your 800 number for Audi financial services. After waiting on hold over 30 minutes I was cut off. I called back again and again with hold times so long it was extremely frustrating that it could take so long to get thru to a live person. Finally, after much wasted time, I reached an Audi financial services rep who sent me an Audi form which I completed. It included our correct checking account number and banking details so we could set-up a recurring automated monthly deduction from our checking account. It took many attempts to contact Audi Financial Services again to confirm Auto pay was set up which was a timely process since there was not a e-mail or internal confirmation of the payment details. Its extremely difficult to get a live person on the phone and your hold time are so long. Finally got Audi to confirm all was set up. Again after much time got confirmation auto pay also set up.I then received a past due statement, so again after so much time on hold, rep said I gave Audi incorrect checking account # so our monthly bill was not processed and we were past due on our account. Audi rep told me this was my mistake since I gave Audi incorrect checking account # even though I explained to Audi rep again that our Auto pay form went through with no issues on first payment. This went on and on, with no one from organization even thinking to check first to make sure that there was no mistake was on their end, before taking up much of my time to prove it.Finally, Audi rep admitted that they made a mistake and must have keyed in an incorrect account # different than the number on the form I provided for auto pay. They told me they would process it with correct # and assured me this would not happen again. Unfortunately, last week I again received another past due statement after I was assured this would not occur again. After spending a lot of time again trying to get thru to a person at customer service number, a rep said someone would call me back. Again, no one did or ever has as they promised they would. Since I got our first Audi, each month I spend so much time on the phone trying to have Audi employees careless mistakes rectified and there is no other phone number or higher level person to contact. I am left with the Financial Services 800 number and long hold times each time I am forced to make a call.Never have I ever experienced such horrible customer service with any company as Audi and been so unhappy with a product as I have been with Audi. Its shocking the lack of care with employees have for customer service, not to mention the on-going monthly headaches I have had due to Audi Financial Services incompetence. We have bought many luxury cars over the years. All offer good customer service. Those companies do what they say they will do. Its easy getting ahold of customer service with their 800 number and there are no issues with auto payment set-up or execution. It takes a lifetime to build a reputation (as Audi should know and recognize historically) and only a few minutes to lose it. Each month I waste so much time trying to correct their incompetent mistakes which still has not got resolved. I also told Aud I would like to return both cars to them since can not get issues resolved, no one cares and no one ever calls back as they promise they would.

I bought an A4 a year and a half ago used but in incredible condition. Now for my confusing part. The car starts to idle rough, push the turn off button and keeps running for a few seconds. The engine light appears the next day. Ran code and came up timing. I then read it been quite the problem it seems. People having catastrophic engine failure at worst. I then see Audi has been sued.I contact the lawyer firm representing the plaintiffs (on the tensioner failure) and was sent a form because my Audi was one of the models affected. Was told as long as I bring it to an authorized Audi dealership it would be covered 100% and if brought to an independent repair shop $1500 would be covered. Well I called the only dealer near me 50 miles away and was told, Yes we are aware of the extended warranty and yes Audi will cover it. Okay great!!! Had the car flat bedded there. Got a call they received my car. Great then a service advisor called and said it would be a few days to a week to repair. I was told it a 10 hour job. I said okay. Then a few days later I called back because I had a question. The service advisor told me, I was just about to write you an email. I have some bad news. Audi will only cover 25% of the repair and need maintenance records. What!!!! What happened to you know all about the extended warranty and look forward to seeing your car. I said as far as the maintenance records they are all listed on Carfax. Was told they cant use that. (Why? Extended warranty companies use them along with Edmunds.) I dont know. Like I said Im confused completely. Its been over a week and havent heard a word back from anyone. I will say for the record the employees I did talk to were very polite but polite doesnt answer why I havent heard back about the status.

This is an Australian review of a sale conducted in Australia and this matter is due to be hear at a tribunal hearing later this month, but thought I would share my experience as l am sure, well l am certain it happens by default to many others. Purchased the 2013 Q5, fully optioned for around $90K AUD, as a tempter to buy from this dealer, they gave me the Audi Corporate Package - (3 years free service and invitations to corporate events, race days, family days etc.). Noticed in the first 3 months when I went out on long drives, the Sat Nav was giving out inaccurate road directions, wrong time estimates for arrival, in some cases up to 2 - 3 hours difference. On a highway that a bypass built some 4 years ago, when I was on that bypass, it didn’t exist on my maps, according to the Sat Nav on was driving on farmland, but clearly I wasn’t - it was obvious the Sat Nav had software that was many years old. When I went to book my first service - I was told that the first service was going to cost me $1000 (this was some 9 months after I purchased the car), I said NO I get free servicing for 3 years, he said NO, I can’t see anything, so you have to pay, so I showed him my Audi corporate card and then he says, oh yes okay, it’s free. I tell him that the Sat Nav needs an upgrade because it’s so old - he says, that will cost $800 - I tell him the car is brand new when I purchased it - in fact it wasn’t even on the lot, l was waiting for it to arrive from Germany, that’s how new the car was - he said, it’s a spare part and so you have to pay $800.I speak to the sales guy who sold me the car - he sympathizes, says he will see what he can do, but invariably the expectation is the consumer needs to pay - I never hear back from him. I call the General Manager of the dealer and he bluntly states, it’s a part you have to pay for it - that they sold the car as is from the manufacturer. So I call Audi Australia and they say it has nothing to do with them, that the sale was between myself and the dealer and I have to take it back there.I call Australian consumer affairs, they send out an officer and he negotiates a compromise that I pay 50% of the retail price of the upgrade - I refuse. Matter is before a tribunal hearing later this month. I call Audi Australia and say in 11 months, I have never been invited to any Audi event, any family day, race day, corporate function, yet it was part of the purchase price of the car and influenced where the car was purchased from. Audi Australia calls back - oh yes we see we didn’t do that, well we will make you a priority for the next event. To this day, priority has not equated to definite, nor have I been told what event, or when it’s at - nor by virtue of the fact that I hold a valid corporate Audi pack, that I should be invited to attend that event anyway so nothing was been offer to compensation the last 11 months - so now the hearing will be on 2 counts. I am told by Audi, that Audi upgrade their software on the Sat Nav every 4 years and I purchased my car on the 24th of December 2013, and the global upgrade happened on the 14th of Jan 2014, so it was just bad luck for me.One of the many claims is that a product was sold that was not fit for purpose and the selling a car as is, doesn’t apply to a new car, it needs to be fit for purpose and the reasonable intention of purpose. I would never of thought a company like Audi would conduct itself in the manner above, I am quite appalled and hence the litigation - this issues themselves aren’t big issues, but the conduct of both the dealer and the corporate company are appalling and rely on the fact that over here, people may think it’s too expensive or not worth the time to take them on - well game on Audi! Having said that, the Q5 is a fantastic car, one of the best I have ever had, but will never buy another one again!

Shocking, embarrassing, enraged are words that come to my mind while I own a 15-day old Audi Q5 from Mumbai (**). Previous to Audi, I owned an E class much to satisfaction of services, good customer relationship shared, robust after sales service and a fantastic road side problem solving assist. Everything seems missing after I shifted my brand loyalty with great deliberation from the sales executive and my misjudgement, of course. My expectation in every department of the service is a complete failure and way below expectation. The very purpose to pen down the displeasure is the extent of discontent I have towards the working of Audi. The experience I share herewith are a testimony to my so-called growing hatred to the brand. My conclusion is worth reading which may affect your reputation, since spending lakhs if I am not satisfied, I cannot even keep you happy and smiling for sure.My experience until I received the delivery was a rude and shocking administrative negligence. My booking, my loan approval process, my excess registration amount paid due to untimely management of affairs, had already raised doubts on my decision of ownership of Audi. The only saving grace in the entire process was the CRM and delivery procedure conducted, was overtly warmth filled, which of course did not happen at Mercedes. There was a delay in loan processing, which seemed that neither profile, previous bank history, vehicle owned previously, nor a flawless CIBIL record could help getting my loan clearance. No browny points for all the above characteristics, understandably so, since your VW finance is a new company and would look into smallest details - but killed my time in the process. After the bank approval and knowing that the car registration cost is due to hike (which is an information I provided), no steps were taken to expedite the process and save customers cost, resulting in me shelling off couple of lakhs for no fault of mine. No remorse or courtesy extended towards the same but citing government policy, the sales executives shirked their administrative laxity. Such critical, immediate and subtle PR issues are what customers (usually time constrained) of this segment look out as factors whilst buying a premium vehicle.A temporary registration sticker attached was the way the car was delivered, unaccompanied by an Audi personnel as it is a temporary number, making it extremely unprofessional, unethical and uncalled for procedure. On my way back, I was a victim of an embarrassing traffic constable tantrums. Giving my license was the only way out as I dont believe in bribery. In spite of repeatedly calling your executives, nothing was done to retrieve my license and I was left by myself to fight it out at the wrong doing of the company. It was another display of poor and pathetic after sales. Also, it showcased the dismal relationship shared between the traffic authorities and the dealer. All it took me was a letter such as this and a few personal trips explaining the reason of my innocence in the mistake committed. Afterwards, I was given back my license without any fine levied. A situation as embarrassing as this, for me, was an experience which I cannot forgo. But sadly, you, as a company, could not do anything--very sad! It leaves me with an after thought, Was I responsible for the mayhem? If not, what is the companys role in pacifying me?My E class was traded in and the administrative process was delayed so much so, that one of my EMI of E class reached my account and I had no option but to clear the same. As a result, now after 15 days of delivery of my car, when the trade in person calls up and gives me another shocker to tell me a draft of 40k is ready for my disbursement when the EMI I paid was around 45k. It was another unaccounted and unexplained loss to myself again.Tell me after reading until this stage, was anything worth a fine memory, worth a brand change, worth value for money? No--only agony, torture, and mental trauma. If thats not all, the forthcoming incidence is an absolute hell of a climax for the biggest mistake of my life to own an Audi.Considering Q5 to be an SUV, an off-roader with 4 wheel drive and Quattro (Audis signature technology), I ventured on my journey to my Pune residence via expressway on the 15th night and returned back on the17th morning with a return trip to Pune - scheduled to be on the night of 17th itself for an extended weekend work. My journey overall to Pune was not so pleasurable, one because of some screechy noise on speeding above 100 which seems to come only when windows are slightly open - but that was not the case in my scenario when I checked.Secondly, some seat rattling at higher speed is such a put off riding an SUV. I reached the night of 17th and to my dismay, the next morning, I saw that the tire was deflated. Without driving, I called in the puncture repair guy to get the cause examined. A crack was observed in the tire on the inner surface of the rear wheel which, according to the puncture guy, was a sign of health and safety hazard so he advised a tire replacement. This might have occurred due to some sharp object piercing the tire and can be termed as a minor accident case.My point is, when a tire as heavy as this can wear off, what is the safety proposition of this vehicle? Questions such as this have no answer. What followed after this was a series of phone calls to road assist, service station, Audi Mumbai, Audi Pune, etc., all adding to my panic. But no one seems to give solution but shirking their responsibility by giving each other numbers. This means that I, in state of panic, have to keep making calls with no robust solution found for me to go for work in Pune or return to Mumbai. Then, I, too, should have made not less than 12 calls all combined but what was noteworthy was that there was no call back from anyone responsible when an Audi customer is in need. It was absolutely disgusting! To add to my dismay, I get a phone call from a dealer in Pune saying, I can order a tire for you. You need to pay in advance for the same and that the tire will come in a week time. It just looked that he wanted business but when asked for customer assistance, he had no clue and just hung up the phone. How could he suggest replacement without even looking at the tire? How can he ask me to pay for it at the first place since it is only a 15-day car with not even 400km run? I had so many questions to ask someone responsible. How can a 15-day old tire wear off? Where is problem assist? Where is the tire manufacturing warranty? Where is the problem solving? Why is the customer not put to ease first?Rather having one person taking onus on the call and advise appropriately, I was made to talk to so many people without even getting a solution, which I term as an amateurish administration. An immature, unprofessional treatment mended to a premium car owner leaves me doubtful for a long-term ownership. I thank Almighty that nothing untoward occurred, which I know for a fact if it was Mercedes, I would first be put to ease, followed by the option suggested to solve the problem temporarily so that my work does not stall and then contact me for an absolute solution with agreement of both parties involved. This is what I call service and not what I received - wasting my entire day on phone calls, waiting that someone will get back with some solution for me.Also, the step tire was rather a rude shock to me, seeing the size, the nature of the tire and the black ugly design it gives - all shows the audience the punishment meted out for replacing the original tires. Wouldnt it be Audis insult to have such cars rolling in the market? With BMW, I remember that I was not allowed to open the car bonnet during a test-drive as per their policy since it may give an impression to customers that it is a faulty car. I respected it and I believe firmly that the image of the car should be a priority when you deal with this segment of a car.I was finally recommended by Audi Pune service station that there is no solution than to sport the ugly step tire and travel expressway not going beyond 60 km/h. I did follow this and was scared every minute of my 4.5-hour journey filled with fright, anger and shame (which otherwise takes me 3 hours). What an added trauma and time wastage! Now, with all what has transpired, do you still think I should be an Audi loyalist? If yes, I need concrete reasoning, or else, I am trading in this vehicle for some other vehicle. But the next steps for not having an appropriate reply or a solution would be to take this up with the companys top brass, followed by complaining to the international center for making them aware of how pathetically their Indian counterparts are handling affairs, approach the consumer court for a full refund for dissatisfaction of the product and the agony it has caused me mentally, post this on the Facebook, and start my verbal propaganda of the horrible 15-day ordeal with Audi. I am forever thanking my stars that these incidents did not happen after the warranty expires as the people in Audi would not even have responded to my queries at all.I presumed that I am making a wise decision by changing brand, but having looked at the support system that your after sales can offer, I am seriously on the look out for the Audi brand change. Your company has made a good mark in the Indian car industry but that must be due to the policies and work of the top management level, which was perhaps also one of the driving force for me to purchase an Audi. But, if your employees do not become face of Audi by proper training in management and PR, it would not need much time to succumb to its competitors. I expected care, concern, warmth and since nothing came my way, I am now a completely dissatisfied Audi customer, which I am sure you, too, can relate to.I am looking forward to the manner my complaint is going to be addressed. It will be the factor to reinforce my belief in Audi and in doing so understandably shall cause you discomfort since it may involve overhauling of few processes. My letter will benefit those hundreds of customers who have lost their way on how and what to complain and be a perfect document to not be deterred or rather help them from being troubled. Kindly find a solution at the earliest to avoid further media and legal formalities. I wish you the best with all of what you are doing - maybe its a bad experience for me personally.
