Car started burning oil at 95,000 miles. Dealer says they have never heard of the problem (but this is obviously not true because there are online complaints on this very issue). We usually keep our cars 150,00 miles and have done all the required maintenance and repairs (by the local dealer). Selling the car - wont buy another Audi. Very disappointed in Audi. They should do a recall and fix these problems.

06 a4 power steering rack - Had my power steering rack replaced in July 2014 at the dealer and this July 2015 it went again. It cost $2100 for the job and then expect me to pay another $2100 again on top of all the routine maintenance. Worst service, even worse reliability. This car has let me down every time. Do yourself a favor and NEVER buy an Audi.

I bought a used A3 Quattro with 2800 miles in 2015. The car handles and drives very well but only if it is not in the shop. I have about 69K miles and have already had a water pump failure at 55K and now have a Gear Shift Lever Assembly issue. At about 65K the car started giving me an electronic malfunction warning and told me to stop, place the car in park and call service. I had it diagnosed to this assembly and have been told the repair is about $1700. I thought the days of poor reliability were over. I guess not! This vehicle has engineered obsolescence and is only good for the 50K warranty. I advise not buying the A3.

Dear Customer Care, I am an AUDI A6 User and would like to express my view
Dear Customer Care, I am an AUDI A6 User and would like to express my view how AUDI INDIA is and how their Service center and how they are malfunctioning and ruining the name of Audi. I have been using the Audi A 66 past 7 years which is now 86000 kms been running but now the service centres are just malfunctioning the customers with very high price, making problems in the car and then expressing then the said parts needs to change or else they cannot do any thing.Audi India has created a customer which is just for a name sake and cannot do anything. The name says as customer care which means for customer but they are saying the words of Service centres and nothing else and also one of the executive told me he cannot do anything. Then why Audi India has created a CUSTOMER CARE. Its better you remove that and close that customer care and make it customer information centre.I sent my car for a regular service and on the receipt of the car after service i noticed that an error is showing on my cluster which says oil level is low so i immediately complained the service centre and asked them that you charged me for the oil change etc but why it is showing which was not showing earlier. Then they took the car back and after 5 days they said I need to pay Rs. 125000 to change the cluster so I am so upset that it was not there before service and after they service they deliberately make the programming in such a way that this error showing and now make money from the customer. At the outset so called customer care is also cannot do any thing. After my complaint the service team relation ship manager is calling me and saying that this error was there past one year and now showing. Is it possible? Also she is claiming that we can get it verified but the question is from where can i verify this? When i ask the same question to Audi India customer care they also says what the service centre says is right. What does this means, as I have all the rights to make sure what the problem is and get it verified but there is no answer with any one.It seems nobody at AUDI wants to address the concern and leave the customer at a mercy that either I pay or get rid of the problem or i close the issue. This is the kind of service level AUDI INDIA is doing and your dealers are killing the Audi India Image. I wish i wouldnt have purchase the Audi and it is my worst decision to buy Audi Car now. I am not going to recommend this car to any one and will also put on all the forums so that all the future buyers should understand the After sales service support that Audi India has. I also wish i would have been in Europe or USA where the law is such that the Audi India has a responsibility to answer. This is it. Thanks. Jai **

I have been a customer of Mercedes for many years and decided this time to buy an Audi as I have a big dog that likes to travel with me so I tried the Q5. The car itself is fine but the service and follow up from Audi is horrific. The GPS system has never worked on the car, the maps are all outdated. When I called to get it updated I was told it would cost $795! to fix something that never worked on a brand new car! The same for spare keys (if you happen to loose a set) - $600 to replace! There is never a loaner car when the car goes in for scheduled maintenance and the staff (Audi in Osborne Park, Western Australia) are abrupt and apathetic. I will never buy another Audi in my life - back to Mercedes for us next time.

There was a recall on oil consumption on my 2011 Audi Q5. I took it to the dealership to have them check and repair, as soon as I got the information. I did this every time the oil light went on. They put in oil, reported back that all was well. Then, at time before this last one, ran a test, said to come back in 1,000 miles. This last time, the oil light went on and I went to service. They ran tests, now Audi says that I need a complete piston job at 77,804 miles. This is a modern car, how is it I should need a engine rebuilt at these miles. If there were really problems with this model, it should be Audi that fixes the car. Why would anyone want to buy an Audi with this kind of engine and the inability to fix their cars.

Originally I had purchased my vehicle at Biener Audi. I purchased an S3 2017 Model. Brand New this vehicle came with approx. 70 miles on it. I found out that they transported it from Audi of Smithtown. I, then proceeded to take it to this location. One of my issues was the hood & the windshield. The hood is cracked (from a pebble most likely states a professional who I had examine it; they touched it up & didnt allow it to dry long enough so it came off.) Audi of Smithtown has no reglect of this happening. Another issue is inside of my vehicle, the main console buttons are sticky-like. After going back and forth with Audi of Smithtown, they agreed to take it off and look if its warranty or not. They will take it off as a courtesy. They state sticky substance is inside. They wont do anything for me. They ordered the part for me but are claiming I have to come out of MY pocket for $970 because they dont deem this as a warranty issue. Are you kidding me? This vehicle came in such horrible condition! My first Audi. To be exact my issues consisted of: Scratched up interior panels. Damaged hood/windshield from transportation. Abnormal creased seats from getting in and out from test drives. My fiancé & I clearly knew that this vehicle had been sitting on a lot for a LONG time. It was so dirty after they finished detailing it. Back bumper deep scratches. Console buttons sticking, rough. Scratched up alternator (cosmetic). Front bumper full of dings (black spots). Dings on headlights/scratched up.Im VERY unhappy and UNSATISFIED with BOTH Audi of Smithtown and Biener Audi. This was the WORST experience Ive ever had. Ive opened up a case with Audi of America (corporate) and theyve stated case has been escalated as high as possible. They wont do anything for me its up to the dealership to make it right. Please save yourself a headache. Dishonest dealerships terrible customer satisfaction. Bieners part: Some people involved were: Patrick ** (sales person). Service Manager (Stephen **). My year 2010 Audi A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro has started to burn excessive oil due to a design/manufacturing fault. Local dealer in Turkey, Audi Turkey (Dogus Otomotiv) is not responsive with my issue since it is a design problem so should take the manufacturers responsibility. Finally I had to have my cars engine rebuilt by paying 4500 USD to one of the official service point in Ankara, Turkey, last week. Now I am so disappointed about my Audi car and the local dealer of it (and also Audi AG, Germany). Therefore I have started a protesting campaign to make them hear my and thousands of desperate Turkish customers voices. Please send your supports and help me with this campaign to succeed and maybe to change this frustrating situation, causing a huge dissatisfaction and disappointment about the brand AUDI in Turkey.P.S.: You can investigate and check the general look, image/reputation of Audi Turkey/Dogus Otomotiv which is also the local dealer of Volkswagen cars in Turkey especially about their customer satisfaction levels that I believe you also recognize it is very low level. Thanks for your supports and helps. Those may help solving our customer satisfaction problems with our local dealer!

Audi TT transmission failure after only 7500 miles. Eighteen days in the shop to repair. While there, the dealer scratched my pristine car and drove it through paint, which covered the wheels, wheel wells and much of the car and then denied they did so to escape liability. The service manager lacks tact and credence and was quite combative. Stay away from this dealership! Audi customer care is a contradiction in terms.

Stonewalling and reading from the same old manual of trying to get the customer off the phone with no opportunity to escalate call. I like the Audi R8 for the sleek design and makes me feel young again. The power behind the wheel is awesome. Life itself seems to stop existing when you jump on the highway. Very clean high-class interior. Comfortable heated and cooled seats for both summer and winter months. Purrs like a baby whilst idle. Good things for this brand. Always recommend upgrades. Better stereo system and bass boost. Get the heated seats and tinted windows. Really only meant for a two seater person vehicle but has a back seat.

It has leather and heated seats, sunroof, navigation, and nice size trunk. Its roomy too! It sits five comfortably, and luggage can fit nicely in the back seats. Its nice to drive and absolutely worth every single penny. The resale value is amazing as well. I am really satisfied with the factory version of this car. Id love to change nothing about it. I purchased a 2011 A4 from Day Automotive in Pittsburgh. The car had just over 33k on it when purchased. Although the car was a certified pre-owned they had not performed the 35k maintenance on the car. Less than a month later they charged $450 for the 35k maintenance. I have been driving the car long distances between Pittsburgh and Chicago on a bi-weekly basis and other than having to watch the oil and add every 1500 miles the car has operated flawlessly. I like the quattro in the snow. I am concerned though about the reliability of the vehicle and will be trading it for a Chevy Cruise first chance that I get. The issue that I have experienced was: 1.5 months back I had my 5 year old Audi A3 cut out on the motorway due to the engine mis-firing. I had RAC tow the car into Audi Nottingham where they said one of the injectors had failed which caused fuel to enter into the engine and cause this issue. I paid £1200 to get this fixed. A month later the car cut out again with the exact same symptoms, so I had it taken into Audi Sheffield. After having the car for 2 weeks they are still not able to re-produce the failure but can confirm from the vehicle computer system that the engine is mis-firing. After buying a premium car, and having it taken only to an Audi dealer for any services/repairs it is really disappointing to experience first hand the lack of quality with both the car and the service received. It occurred on: 11/06/2019.This meant that I was put in danger by the engine cutting off on the motorway. I was left without a car for 2 weeks during the initial breakdown. I was left without a car for another 2 weeks during the second week. I have lost all confidence in the car, the Audi group and the capability of the Audi technicians who are meant to be the best at what they do. I would like Audi to take ownership for selling me a car with a faulty engine and actually get it fixed. There comes a time when they need to stop looking for every excuse as to why the car engine is failing and look into what is causing the engines to fail in a car that is 5 years old with 60K miles on the clock. This is the most disappointed I have ever been with a car company or the services I have received from any car OEM! I look forward to your prompt response on this matter.

Purchased 2013 Audi A5 with 2k miles no warranty. Developed a very bad vibration from front end, no damage, changed wheels and tires still no better. Seems that vibration is a common problem with this model, search any Audi forum and you can see for yourself. Replaced minor this and that up to 25k when the engine started making a diesel sound. Mechanic tells me problem; timing chain and tensioner is common with this motor and charges me $2500 to repair. Before assembly shows me where the timing chain has bore a hole in the side of the motor due to faulty part (picture).Notified Audi of America who tells me so sorry to hear that however if you want to take the car to a dealer and have them disassemble (at your own cost) we will look into it... Really? I guess a picture documenting the problem isnt good enough. Replace more this and thats and develop a clicking in the front end from both wheels, another common problem with Audi requiring more mechanical labor... Dont even care at this point, Ill keep the windows up! 45k miles and another light on the dash equals more time in the shop, this time its the Camshaft for some reason, and cant just replace one... Another $4500. They say its difficult to have brand loyalty with Audi? No kidding.Just keep getting slapped in the face from this Audi, no quality and no customer service help. The its a common problem with Audi cars keeps ringing in my ears. I saw a post on an Audi owners site that said something like If you cant afford a couple grand for a repair, youre driving the wrong car. A very true statement! Do yourself a favor and look at a few Audi owners’ websites before making a purchase, youll be glad you did. For me, Im covering this overpriced piece of junk and letting it set before it costs me anymore money to drive. The Audi experience!!

Our family purchased a 2011 Audi A5 with 2.0 T engine. The Timing Chain (Tensioner) failed at 70,000 m. The engine head and pistons (predictably) are wrecked. The car was maintained according to the Audi schedule with the Dealer from whom we purchased the car. All the records are verified by the dealer. The standard warranty is 50,000 m. This engine/car has the Oil Consumption problem that precipitated the Class Action Suit. So, the car was used as designed, maintained as designed, - and it FAILED as designed! The failure is due to lack of lubrication of the Timing tensioner/chain. Something absolutely beyond the consumers control (beyond filling the engine as specified).4/5/15: The car is at the Dealership in Austin Texas - the Dealership says they have talked to Audi and both are trying to escape the manufacturers responsibility to fix the problem. It seems that the only (implied warranty) service to the customer that Audi will deliver is when threatened by a lawsuit (class action suit as prev). In summary: The engine was maintained as required; the car was used as designed; the consumer fulfilled all their responsibilities; the engine (built by a prior-respected engineering company) failed - beyond all control of the consumer within a small portion of the design life of the engine. How is it not Audis responsibility? Get decent Audi! Before another Class action suit gets kicked off.

I have a 2014 Audi A6 3.0 and was reading the comments on this website when I came across the comment from one person indicating that on his A6, he experienced transfer of clothing dye to the seats. I have exactly the same issue with my A6. I complained to the dealer and got nowhere except that the dealer stated that they could remove it if I wanted them to. I just told them to forget it and DID it myself. The problem with this issue is that I owned a Subaru Legacy prior to the Audi (Subaru is much cheaper car), with perforated leather seats and never had this problem with the Subaru. Other than this problem and a couple of programming issues that I simply disagree with, I am totally satisfied with the Audi (The rating above refers only to the seat issue).

I would like to know how to lodge a formal complaint about my Audi S3 and the dissatisfaction I have received from Audi roadside assistance and Audi Service Centre in Parramatta. When I first walked into the Audi Parramatta dealership when purchasing my S3, the level of service and communication was outstanding! I was so pleased with how I was informed every step of the way and the progress on when my car was being built. It all went downhill from there as soon as I left the dealership.About 8 months of owning the car the centre console panel started to flack up and peel exposing the aluminium underlay of the part of the car. Shortly after that my car overheated and the warning light came on for me to turn off my engine and put coolant in the car. I was stranded with my 1 year old and my 3 year old. I called the Audi roadside assistance and was told that someone would be there within an hour. 4 hours later no one turned up so I was forced to drive the car myself with my 3 year old and 1 year to the Parramatta service centre for them to add coolant to the car. Then I was emailed a survey about the roadside and because I gave them a 0 mark they called me the next day asking why I had marked them so low. I explained that I was left stranded for hours on end with my 2 kids under the age of 3 and had to drive my overheated car to the service centre myself. I was told by the person on the phone that the job was not logged and that is why no one came or called. Then when I booked in my car for the service I was told I had to wait close to 2 weeks for the new part to arrive. I waited weeks and no one from the Parramatta service centre got in touch with me so I had to call them to follow up with them to confirm my appointment and confirm the part had arrived. I dropped it off and had arranged a loan car. I inquired about the terms and conditions of the loan car agreement. I was told by MASON that I would have to pay $2500 excess regardless if I got into an accident and it was not my fault. So I couldnt even utilise the loan car which is why I asked for the loan car so I could use it for work. I missed an entire days work because of this information that was wrong! I was mislead and deceived into signing this legally binding agreement. Then to top it off after missing an entire day of work to have a part in my car changed, I was called at 3:30 PM to tell me the part had been damaged, mind you the car was dropped off at 8:00 AM that morning. There is no way it was damaged when leaving the factory in Germany, clearly it was damaged when the staff opened it. I know this because the Assistant Manager Chris told me that the part comes wrapped in bubble wrap and layers of other material to protect and it gets delivered in a box. I was then told I have to wait another week and a half for another part to come in.2 weeks later I am yet to hear anything from Audi Parramatta service centre. The website clearly states that first class service to Audi consumers when clearly that is not the case. What is the point of having an Audi if the staff cannot even communicate with its consumers, when they cant even advise its consumers of correct information on an agreement, when my car over heats and parts are damaged and when roadside leaves its consumers stranded? It is a joke that I have spent all this money on this car and to be so dissatisfied. No one at the service centre offered any sort of compensation or help with anything. Not even a sorry.Today after waiting 2 weeks for the new part to arrive I dropped my car off again to Audi Service Centre to have the part changed. I wasnt even called to pick it up even though I left my mobile number with Jeffery, instead my husband was called and when I got to Audi to pick my car up I had to wait 20 minutes as Jeffery was too busy to see me. He told me that he had delayed his lunch and that he had been waiting for me, what kind of employee at a service centre even says that to its customer? On top of that my car not only got damaged whilst they changed the part, the part they fitted doesnt even fit correctly and the installer has now damaged two parts of the console of my car. The worst experience Audi has delivered, worst service and lack of due diligence is unbelievable. I now have to wait even longer to have new parts brought in and I am told Chris or Jeffery will be in touch but it will be a while. The worst Service Centre ever!!!

Audi has reinvented itself by being the first to present the bolder grill style now seen in all brands. Current models appeal to both young and old buyers in a way few brands can. Their models tend to be less sleek and more assertive than competitors. Ultimately, their lineup portrays conservatism with a understated power and style buyers want. Audi is excellent in personalization under the hood and in performance enhancements. Most models are available in trim packages that include significant improvement for power, handling, ride control and braking. Their interiors are currently without equal and need little to no upgrades. Their technology options are current but not overly cutting edge.Depending upon the category of vehicle Audi general is average to above average in passenger capacity. Passenger comfort is more of a hallmark than capacity. They have everything you could want except hybrids. Audi has class leading small, medium and large cars. They have competitive SUVs and trendiest sport models. They are only rivaled by Mercedes for variety in performance models and upgraded trim packages.

We had an egg smell coming from the vehicle, we called a local Audi and we were told that the car is new and the smell will disperse as the car is new and the parts sometimes burn off excess oil?23rd December, 2012... During a family day out with the children, we traveled down the A1 to see family and do some last minute Christmas shopping. The smell and heat coming from the vehicle was very apparent, but after a call to Audi, we were told to ignore it, so we did. On the return journey, the car started billowing black smoke, and the heat and smell were strong enough for us to have to pull over and require assistance from RAC/Audi Assistance... We were told that the car had a clutch failure and it had to go into Audi Teesside for repairs.**I required a courtesy car during this period and Audi Assist, who knew I had 3 children, issued me with a 2-seater Audi TT!? This scuppered nearly all of our family Christmas plans, but as my gran was over from Germany and I knew this may be the last Christmas I have with her, I was determined to get to were she was from Teesside. This was a mammoth task with a family of 5 and a 2-seater car. Two of the children nor myself got to see gran before she left, unfortunately (she passed 2 weeks later).**9th January, 2013... I received a call from Gemma ** in Audi customer services to say that my car was being delivered back to me today as it has been fixed. It had apparently needed a new clutch, which had now been done, and we were able to take it back. She had just been informed from the dealers (Teesside Audi) that the work was complete.9th January, 2013... My car was delivered back at lunchtime with an invoice stating that my car had been fitted with a new clutch, and oil had been topped up (under warranty work). So I decided to drive to my local Tesco with my little daughter. Within half a mile, I noticed the smell initially, and the heat followed. I spotted some light smoke coming from the bonnet so I pulled over. I decided to call Teesside and spoke to Mark, who had apparently carried out the work, and I told him what was happening to my car. He said the car is going through what is called a regeneration and I was to ignore it and keep driving. I also rung Gemma and she said he knows what hes talking about, and with a new part, sometimes they give off a smell and I was to do what he said...I drove another mile up the road when my car once again was smoking and other road users and bystanders where signalling for me to pull over... Completely frightened and not knowing what to do, I quickly pulled over, and as I left my vehicle, a fellow driver approached and said that looks dangerous and I was to stand back with the little one... I did so, and he and another man cautiously opened my bonnet. With that, a ball of black smoke and fire shot from the front of my car... I called RAC/Audi Assist who came to me at the roadside. It took him 90 minutes to arrive at the vehicle and he stated that he could smell my car more than 100 yards away. He wouldnt move it whilst the car was still so hot, so he left it to be later recovered by Ron Perry (a tow company)... I called Gemma to let her know and she told me it turned out that Mark in Teesside had not even repaired the car, and she felt awful that shed allowed me to take this vehicle back when they hadnt done anything to it by way of repair... Marks excuse was that he thought I was imagining it!? But he had provided us with an invoice to say these works had been carried out? Gemma said she wasnt happy with what had happened and she felt somewhat responsible, so she advised that I put a formal complaint in writing to the branch about this technician and she was doing the same on her end as she felt partly responsible, and that she was referring my case to the executive office. My car was taken to the Audi Tyneside garage where they discovered that the clutch was completely burnt out and desperately needed replacing. Richard from Tyneside said that if the car had been driven any further, it could of been much worse. (I have to add that Richard and Mark in Tyneside gave me a fantastic level of care and commitment I felt looked after whilst in there capable hands...)2nd February, 2013... I receive a call to say my car is repaired and it can be brought back to me. 8th February, 2013... The car breaks down, clutch slipped. 14th Feb, 2013... I get my car back, but during a road test, it fails and the clutch fails again.21st Feb, 2013... The clutch was replaced again, and once again, I am given my car back. We were away 25th Feb to 11th March, and upon returning, the car wouldnt start. Once again, the car is towed, and were told that the 2nd base plate on the clutch has corroded and it needs another new part (a base plate?) 26th March, 2013... We get our car back, and for the first week or so, it seems to be driving o.k.4th April, 2013... The car has started pulling to the left and the egg smell and smoke has returned, we call RAC and have it towed to a different garage (Harrogate). Maybe some fresh eyes will help and finally give us a car we can use. We receive a call to say that the vehicle may be pulling due to the tyres, so by replacing them, this may help the problem. We paid 500+VAT to have the tyres replaced, only to be told two days later that during further investigation its been found that the clutch has slipped again. We were also told that the new model of Audi has a larger gap for the clutch, but as Audis are using an older model of clutch, the clutch is able to move around and this is why it keeps slipping. A new part is ordered again to replace the small one.22nd April... My car is brought back. Im informed that they couldnt fit the new part as it didnt work. All they could do is tighten the clutch and hope for the best, but during towing it back to me, my car was damaged during transportation. The low load driver couldnt apologise enough for the damage, and after letting me see what had happened, he took it back away again to have the damage repaired... I was utterly devastated and slowly losing faith and patience.29th April 2013... The car is brought back with no damage and the drive of it seems ok.6th May... The car stalls and the smell is back. The car goes in to Harrogate which is were it is now... Ive told them Im fed up now. I spent nearly twenty thousand pounds (which I paid for in cash) for a car which is wholly unreliable. And as Ive been told on at least 5 occasions it is Not fit for purpose, I called Audi and asked what my next step is as I believe Ive given Audi more than ample opportunity to repair my vehicle, which still hasnt happened. I have done everything Audi has asked of me and some and now I cant take anymore. I cant continue to put my children into something that I dont trust and is so unreliable. On the 9th of May, I wrote a letter of rejection for the vehicle to Audi UK and a copy went to the garage I purchased it from. I dont feel Im getting any further forward so Trading Standards Tanvir has requested that he take over this whole case. Hes advising I go to the press and sue for negligence, but this is not really my thing. I just want what I paid for - a prestige car from a prestige company, and as a loyal Audi customer for over 5 years, I dont want to go down this route.Last month, I contacted Martin Winterkorns P.A., who gave me Verena ** (VWG M.D- P.A) contact details name and number, and she said they will be able to help, which wasnt the case. They are now basically saying that if I remove my complaint against the technician, they will help; otherwise, pay for further work myself... The whole thing got passed over to Lee **, an Audi exec, and he is a complete plank who doesnt care about customers... service... duty of care, so Ive sent everything over to Motor Codes and theyre investigating.Sorry, its so long-winded, but I wanted to get all the details in. Does anyone know if theres anything else I can do? Thanks, guys.

I am Disha and I bought an Audi Q7 for Rs. 94 lakhs from Bengaluru, two years and four months back. The reason was its speed as I had to travel to different cities and it was a business requirement too. I bought two more Audis for my business officials and purpose. But my experience with Audi is very bad. The first Audi car of mine is Q7 and it is a little over two years old. I have spent Rs. 45 lakhs on my Q7 already for it to run efficiently. Currently, I gave the Audi for service purposes a month ago and I have still not got it back in spite of me paying the full amount. The excuse is that they are not able to get the automobile parts and its still to reach India from overseas. I now curse myself for my fleet of Audi. I have a Q3 and an A4 too which are also the same and I had spent huge amount of money on them just to keep them running. Along with the performance of the car, high maintenance cost and bad after sales and dealership services I still thought of keeping my cars but I am not able to get my car back after giving it for servicing. So I regret my decision of buying the Audi cars and would not recommend anyone to buy such cars or any of Audi cars at all. My name is Disha and I am an established businesswoman of Bengaluru.

9 days ago, my engine warning lights came on, and the car had ZERO pep, could not go over 30 mph-drove the 6 miles to my home. Parked it and had AAA flatbed it to the Audi Dealership. My car, a 2008, A4-learned that the 2005-2007 had camshaft defects/recalls but the 2008 models were fixed. The tech crew at my dealership are top shelf, wonderful guys, and professionals. They say this is the first 2008 with this issue-problem. I need a new engine now, and at 160,000 miles, Im way past any warranty. And given that 2008 did not get this recall, I am in a bind. I have contacted Audi USA to see if they can help me or work with me. Ideally, Id like them to help me with a new engine, cost, labor, etc. I am awaiting their response, but I think they are looking at the potential of giving me a discount, should I opt to buy a new Audi 2015 - and at this point, I am not overly happy with the manufacturer.

I have a 2012 Audi A4 2.0. 80K miles. Last week without any prior symptoms my engine light goes on. I drive a few miles home the next day. My car will not start. I take it to dealer for diagnosis, dealer tells me the timing chain tensioner failed and timing jumped causing major damage to engine. Repair cost or new engine is estimated between six and fourteen thousand dollars. This is a known issue from Audi and there is a class action lawsuit for same issue. Looking for Audi USA to see if they can assist. Anyone had same issue or experience with Audi USA? Any recommendations.

After reading these stories, I had to write about my experience with a new 2014 leased Audi A5. About a month after I leased the car, it began to make a loud rattling noise every time I accelerated. I brought the car in 4 times over the last 3 months to try and resolve this issue. I have had a loaner vehicle for 21 days. I have been in constant contact with Audi USA customer service (800-822-2834) regarding this so that my file stays updated. After bringing it in for the third time, I requested that they replace the vehicle. They looked into it for me, told me to test drive cars that I would be willing to take in its place only to tell me a week later that my request was denied. At that time I had just picked up the car from its 4th trip to the dealership for service. Now I am going after them through an attorney that specializes in CA lemon law. Audi customer service is DISGUSTING. I get that a man made car can have issues but its how they handle it that is the problem. Do yourself a favor and give your money to BMW.

PSA: BUYERS BEWARE - My 2013 Audi Q5 began having issues at 82,000 miles. It has an oil consumption problem (sound familiar) that makes it a hazard to drive. I stopped using Audi North Austin a while back when they treated me poorly (scheduling, follow up, getting my vehicles service done on time). I used South Austin for a while until the same issues began (although I have never fought them on their overpriced non-sense). I did start taking it somewhere else however, when Audi wanted 4x more for my breaks. My vehicle has been at Audi South Austin for over 3 week now, because they want $6000 to fix it. I tried working with Audi USA when the issue began in August due to recommendation by my current garage. The representative that helped, seemed great, but my case got closed until the oil consumption part 2 test. When I went to reopen it Audi USA was a whole different thing. Since then, I have emailed, called, and initiated everything. Customer service has been exceptionally poor, and some even flat out rude. My vehicle is not under warranty, I purchased it from a private party, and I serviced it elsewhere. All things I understand are not ideal in Audis eyes, however the exceptionally poor customer service and that I could provide ALL of those records, and that this has been an issue in the past with Audi USA vehicles (although theyre stance is this is just a coincidence because its not the same one from the class action suit) is why Im putting this out there. This isnt really me, but I feel cheated and taken advantage of and I think Audi USA should hear about how theyre putting people out, and I think people should know how Audi USA is doing people. Again, buyers beware, especially 3rd party. They dont care. Even if its your safety.

We had an Audi years ago and wanted to have another one. The Q7 fit our needs. However, it has been a terrible experience. The brakes will not stop squeaking and the dealer says they have relayed the problem to Audi but nothing gets done. 80% of the people who own this car are complaining according to the dealer. The squeaking is so loud that you are embarrassed to drive the car when anyone can hear. It is awful. Please do NOT buy this car. Audi, please listen to your customers. I will stop people on the street and tell everyone not to buy this car.

I am unable to lock doors, the hatchback opens by itself, brakes make a rumbling sound. Richfield Audi has no idea what is going on and they don’t care. I bought my 1996 Audi A4 in 2009. At the start of 2010, I took my car to (Audi Artarmon, NSW) because I was experiencing erratic revving quite seriously. Audi Artarmon cleaned my fuel system and assured me that the problem was now fixed. However, as soon as I drove my vehicle from the servicing center, the problem still existed so that was ($1,500) down the drain. It took some complaining but I eventually got a full refund. I then moved to the Gold Coast where I decided to take it to (Audi Gold Coast Center). They advised me of a few reasons for the problem and told me that they could fix the problem. After picking my car up and driving it down the Gold Coast highway for 5 minutes, my car completely broke down and whilst I was on the phone to the servicing manager, he was shouting at me trying to say that it was not their problem and that these things just happen. So I sorted out a tow truck myself and paid for a taxi to get myself home. The car got towed back to Audi. The next day, they advised me that I needed a new throttle body at a cost of $1,000, but was advised that the cost would be taken care of due to what had happened. I went to pick my car up after the work had been done and the servicing manager started to demand that I pay for the work done to my car or else I would not be allowed to drive it away.I then had to rush to the bank before it closed and made a withdrawal in order to pay the prick of a manager. After all of this, it was no wonder that nothing had even remotely changed with the performance of my car! I had to move to Mackay (1000kms north) so I drove my car up, however, my fuel gauge stopped operating and the car was being very erratic with its revs. I did make it to Mackay though by guessing my fuel consumption. After more complaints, I eventually got a refund from Gold Coast Audi, as if they were trying to pay me to keep quiet. The last straw came when I moved to Newcastle (NSW). I drove my car down from Mackay, which was a long trip but my vehicle seemed to take it very well. My car did not start the next day so I decided to take it to Newcastle Audi Center where they told me I needed a new fuel pump, which would cost $900. I decided to get an independent mechanic to replace my fuel pump for half the price. However, somehow that mechanic did something to my cars immobilizer and I was forced to have it towed back to (Newcastle Audi), which was quite embarrassing. I was advised by Newcastle Audi that I needed a new engine control unit which would cost $3,000. I agreed to have this done as I needed my car. After a few months of trying to come up with the money, I finally had enough to pay for my vehicle. Upon picking my car up, I noticed that the whole dashboard insert was not working at all (speedometer, tacho, fuel gauge) and I asked them why. However, the servicing manager refused to take any responsibility and angrily denied any wrongdoing. The service I received from Newcastle Audi was absolutely appalling. For anyone who has any intention on buying an Audi of any sort, get ready for ignorant fat cats who think that they are above you and can talk down to you. I am so fed up with Audi, all they care about is money. Even the Audi Australia head office doesnt seem to care at all.My car has been undriveable for almost a year now, yet those ** are probably living it up with their fat checks. I am giving my 1996 Audi to a wrecker now. I paid $7,000 for it 3 years ago but I simply have no more energy, money or time to put up with the thieves that Audi are.

There is a decent amount of variety available if you are looking for something that fits with the Audi image. Most people are familiar with the models Audi has put out. The car I ended up getting in the end was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Its a pretty standard car size with a pretty standard passenger capacity. Carries four people comfortably, five if you stick someone in the middle in the back. Most of the extras I wanted came standard, and there were a few more things I hadnt thought about that were really appealing and I couldnt pass them up. I was able to personalize my choice in all the ways I had hoped to. Cars have gotten so fancy these days that its almost impossible to find a new car that doesnt come with a bunch of stuff standard that some people might not even want!

All that I received were emails and phone calls from Audis contractor wanting to inspect my vehicle before the lease expired. The 2018 Audi Q7 is quite possibly the best car on the road today. It is very solidly built, extremely quiet and comfortable, and handles like a sports car in highway traffic: no sway during quick lane-changes, is not prone to over-control. The 3.0 Quattro provides tremendous power despite the cars size and weight. Plus, the 18-inch wheels provide the driver a great view of traffic ahead, a big advantage when anticipating slow-downs and congestion. A pure pleasure to drive.

I am driving an Audi in Hong Kong. I had some paperwork problems with my car and had to contact Audi to get the needed document. The staff is genuinely uninterested and referred me to a automobile association alleging that only the association can get the document for me. So I called the association who explained patiently that the certificate should be issued by Audi the manufacturer, which makes sense. So I called the dealer in Hong Kong again and that staff gave me the same answer, utterly uninterested, and offered no solution to me at all. I dont expect that the dealer can solve my problem quickly and once and for all but at least they can appear to be more helpful. For Audi which aspires to be a top brand in the world, they should be more careful in engaging local dealers. Some are totally unprofessional and may just ruin their reputation. In my case, I will NEVER buy another Audi (because I am terribly pissed off).

I have a 2004 Audi A8 with 98,000 miles and the transmission died. Other much cheaper cars go for much more than this mileage before they encounter a transmission failure. Audi wants $10,000 to replace the transmission, effectively forcing me to junk the car at this point. The attitude at customer service at Audi USA is essentially tough luck. I think a premium vehicle such as this one, should have more accountability from the manufacturer and it cannot be normal for the transmission to go at 98,000 miles especially when the maintenance has been done by the book all along.

Audi A4 2003 original owner - After replacing our timing belt and water pump, a problem with heating begins. Then three years ago, the dealership asked us to replace the heater core to resolve the problem with blowing only cold air instead of hot through the heating system during the winter. The cooling system works fine. I was against that because there wasnt any reason the heater core to stop working at once. I changed the dealership, but they obviously had the same policy everywhere not to diagnose, only replace part in order to make money. I gave up and replaced the heater core. As I expected, it didnt resolve the problem at all. After three years of flushing the system at the same dealership, they diagnosed again that the heater core shall be replaced at my expense. It is very disappointing that a relatively good car has so bad service and looks like a not professional service at all.

Purchased a brand new 2013 Audi Q7 last April. Waited close to a month for the vehicle. Problems started since day one. The same day, the vehicle was picked up. Within 15 minute driving, the check engine light came on. Brought it back to the dealer and diagnosed to be a bad intake manifold. The vehicle was in the shop for a week. A month down the line, one day the sunshade for the panoramic roof fell off the rail completely. Brought the vehicle back to the dealer and get it fix. In June of this year, the Sunshade fell off the rail again, brought it back to the dealer, waited a week for the repair. Literately a week after the vehicle was picked up, the rail came back again, the car was in the dealer for another week. Now the problem come back again. The car is a little over 1 year old, barely driven with only 6000 miles. Went to the dealer to complaint about the issue and see how they and AUDI will address the issue. The response I got was: this does not affect the drivability or the safety operation of the vehicle. I could always bring it back to the dealer and get it fix. I am extremely disappointed in the brand and its customer service focus philosophy. Especially as a luxury car dealer and manufacture, this is definitely not the way to address the issue. 60K investment and what I get in return is constantly going back to the dealer for the same issue. Even with me addressing the issue, their response is tell me to keep going back. I dont have the time for all this, definitely not a good ownership experience. I am very disappoint in the brand and the experience. Stay away from AUDI!!!

Audi offers a lot of variety and different styles from SUVs to sedans. Audi SUVs are 4 passenger and sedans 4 as well. Audis sport models offer 2 passenger seating with race car features. I prefer sedans but the variety in styles is amazing. Audi is designing cars better than the rest at a good price. It is leading the way in stylish car making. It has a distinct style from the rest of the other luxury car makers. It has a very luxurious style to all their models and come fully loaded with all the features that you want. The stereo system is amazing and the speakers are booming. Audi offers a variety of upgrades and many personalization options to make it styled to fit your personality and everyones needs. Upgrade to all leather seats and power everything.

The variety of the models was a great selection. They had a lot of different color models to choose from. Also, the appearance was great. I was very satisfied and I loved how it looks and the shape and color of it but they could have had different features on the car. I love all of the various upgrade and personalization options that this car had and provided and that is why I love this car and would definitely go back and purchase another one.

I have a 2015 Audi A3. I am the only owner of the car. It has 42k. Last week while driving to work, I felt a weird shake, at first I thought I had a flat tire. But I quickly realized that I wasnt that lucky. (insert sad face emoji here). The check engine and EPC (I may have those letters wrong) lights were on. Long story short the car was flatbed towed to the dealership. They gave me a loaner (Q3) and I was on my way. Later that day, they called and said my car had a bad fuel injector. They ordered the part and said my car would be repaired the next day. The next day, I was called and told that while replacing the fuel injector, they discovered that a piston had exploded! They called it a catastrophic engine failure. That is still a little hard to digest. Fortunately, my car is still under warranty. Audi is replacing my whole engine. I own another Audi and I am a fan of the brand. I will comment again when I get my car back, sometime this week. Hopefully, I will be happy.

I found the Audi Q5 to be a very attractive car compared to other models that I had reviewed. It has a lot of features that I wanted in a car and the price was within my budget. I chose the Audi because of safety ratings that it has, it rides great and it had most of the features that I wanted. The car has GPS, which comes in handy often. It has WiFi and drives smoothly to be an SUV. The SUV has lots of power and acceleration is great. I enjoy the fact that it has Bluetooth and Sirius Radio as well as heated and vented seats. However, it does not have a convenient USB port and the GPS system took some time to program. I would change the location of the cup holders. I find it awkward to drive and use my cup holder because of where its located. I also wish I had steering wheel heater and that it had the in dash readout. But overall the Audi Q5 is a great car.

2004 Audi TT - The heat wave we experienced this past summer caused my rear window to separate from the convertible top. I have attempted numerous ways of repairing it. All have failed. Audis solution is an entire new top at $4600. Corporate became involved and Commonwealth Audi offered a 20% discount, which is still not affordable. Mercury Insurance refused to pay for it stating this is normal wear and tear! The car was stored in a garage and the top was used maybe 10 times in a 3 year span. The car cost $28,0000 which was paid in full and is 10 years old. I expected the quality of an Audi to outlast much longer than this. I am now driving it around with a playground ball holding it in place. Most recently its running on hot now and will need repair. It has been one thing after another and I am extremely unhappy with this car and the responses I have received from both my insurance company and Audi.

From day one of my purchase I had issues with my A8. Now 4 years later have had heating fail 2xs, suspension fail, windshield leak, electric fail numerous time, bolts come loose in both doors, breaks squeak and be told that is normal. My Audi has had maintenance to it (outside of normal service) every 2 months. Called Audi American to explain my issues. They were able to pull the 16 work orders so they saw my issues were valid. After weeks of dealing with them, I was told that I should go back to where I purchased to see if there are any incentives that could be used to get me into a new car. That is Audi loyalty. Buy a car that is a straight lemon and they will allow you to buy a new car with incentives at the dealership. I will never buy another and highly recommend people to avoid.

I leased a brand new car from Audi Queensway in Ontario in February 2015 because I thought Audis were awesome cars and naturally assumed the service levels would be too. After I purchased the car I found it to be noisy as if it was not sealed properly and took it back to Queensway. They looked at it several times and advised me that what Audis sounded like. I had a 20k Dodge that sounded much better. After a few more months, I was still unhappy and then took my Audi to Oakville on 03 September. I booked it in a week in advance and explained the problem. After a service person drove the car, he told me he suspected that the tire was causing this. After waiting the entire day, I called Audi to find out whats happening and was told that the tire needs replacing at my cost as its wear and tear. I explained to them ad nauseam that this was a new car and I reported this problem from the time I got this car. They werent interested nor helpful. They suggested I take it back to Queensway as its preowned. I then had to convince them that the car was bought brand new as they assumed its pre-owned. I also mentioned to them that I had purchased every possible warranty and insurance so that I do not have to have any issues.Audi Oakville was adamant that Queensway should sort out the issue. I explained that I bought an Audi and warranty and any dealer should be able to sort out the issue. After speaking ad nauseam to the service manager and admin person, no help was offered other than this is my fault and if I wanted the problem resolved, I should pay for a new tire. I was asked to pick up my vehicle (with the fault not rectified and bring it back another time). I explained that I needed my car for work and that I had taken the day off to get this service done. My wife took time off work and drove me to Audi to drop the car off. Now I also needed to get life to fetch my car. I was also given a lecture by the service manager about how my driving may have caused this issue. After explaining to him again its a new car, I discontinued my call due to his condescending nature. No loan car or hired vehicle was offered to me.I then called Audi head office to explain my dilemma. The first service person after listening to my issue then told me it will be sorted out the next business day. I told her I do not have a vehicle. She told me it was the end of her shift and could not help further. Apparently because she took the call, she could not get anyone else to assist. At 4 pm, she advised that she will arrange with Oakville to provide a hired car. We called back many times and this was not done. After many more calls to her, she had the audacity to hang up on my wife. She also advised no supervisors were available. After many more calls, another assistant directed us to a supervisor who was available named Sunny. Sunny was helpful and we then explained the entire story to him. HE advised that his boss is aware of the problem and at 6 pm last night advised that she will call me this morning.I called 4-5 times this morning and she did not answer. At 12:50 when I called again Audi head office was closed. Yes, now head office is closed and Audi Oakville who I called said my car is ready to pick up with the problem unresolved. I must pay 1500 Cad to have my wheel alignment checked and done and also pay for a new tire which they cannot do anytime soon. So here I am. Audi will not arrange for me to be fetched. I will take a taxi to fetch my car as my son starts school next week and I was asked to drive my car away from the dealership without a fault being repaired.I will advise my insurance company as I assume Audi will assume liability if anything happens due to the related problem. The service manager at Audi Queensway was helpful and has offered to look into the matter sometime next week. I was also advised that certain tires provided by Audi wears differently and this may be the issue. This was communicated by Audi Queensway and Audi Oakville. Imagine that a brand new car with less than 18000 km and I may have tires that wear easily.I spoke to my salesman who sold me the car and apparently I dont have much recourse in terms of returning my car. Ive owned Fords, BMWs, Volvos, VW etc. in the past and Ive never encountered such pathetic service. Never was I constantly given excuses of what cannot be done but rather how can they help me. I regret this purchase and wish I could cancel this transaction without financial consequence but assume now that my monies have been paid and my warranties are paid I am stuck with this vehicle. I will get rid of this car as soon as I can and will certainly go with another brand.

Audi cant find the problem. Its been going on 4 month now and still the same. They have had a main man from London Audi to look at it. Said it needs some grease put in a bush???? But still same. Now theyre telling me it needs some different grease put on it and it could take another 2-3 weeks. Audi c/s been no help. Theyre saying it could be the characteristics of the car now. After bringing my 2012 Audi S5 with 30,000 miles to Audi NYC several times, and without them being able to resolve my issues - I contacted Audi corporate offices hoping they can assist in resolving my issues with extremely squeaky brakes. I was referred to a supervisor, named Christine ** who also did not help me at all. After explaining several times to Audi corporate employees and this supervisor, my issues were brushed off and I was presented with their proposed resolution which was to lubricate my brake pads, a procedure that had already been performed on my vehicle previously without resolving the issues. This is the most unprofessional customer service I have dealt with and thanks to their horrible customer care and retention department I will be trading in my vehicle for a BMW, where the customer service actually listens to and cares for their consumers.

It has leather seats that are very comfortable and are easy to adjust. It offers great technology with built-in GPS with everything you need and satellite radio. It makes your drive a lot smoother. It offers star for emergency too and works great. The car has plenty of room for passengers and the back also has a lot of space for being a sports car.

I have bought the Audi A4 since 2005. I purchased CPO for the extended warranty. I have had a 2001, great car and a 2006, another really great car. I was ready to update to a 2013. I found the car online and it is a beautiful car. However, I have had about 3 recalls in the two years that I have owned it. At the time I purchased the car, I bought it sight unseen but by online photos. I discovered the following... the spare tire is not regular size tire but a “donut”, dual temperature control is not standard, the Cd changer no longer exists, and 60/40 split folding seats were not available, as well as a push-button parking break which would probably not be of much service if your accelerator gets stuck and you need to shift to neutral to try to stabilize the car. Features that seem to be standard (or just luck on my previous buys) are now optional or obsolete. Wish I had kept my ‘06, looking to trade-down. When did leather seats become leather inserts... ugh... Oh, yes, the turbo diverter valve has a gasket and required a new piston driven diverter valve, the cost for replacement is approx $3500.00, Why has this issue not been a recall since the issue is addressed online when you get the diagnostics code. Shame on you Audi... Sacrificing quality for cheap.

How can you rate my loyalty and not know how much Ive spent as your customer? My 2005 Audi A4 purchased in December 2004 fried in 2008 due to oil sludge. My sister drove the car from D.C. to Charleston home for Thanksgiving. It had been making strange noises so she took it to the Audi dealership to have it looked at before she left. About an hour away from Charleston, the engine blew. Audi did nothing to help us even though we had the car serviced at the dealership every 10,000 miles for this exact reason. They even still expected us to make our monthly car payments. We ended up getting a new engine put in because our new car repair service had found a 2005 engine that was pretty reasonable. The same thing happened again last Friday.

Car has 20k miles. It has had key fob unrecognized, have to walk away, come back, it works. Ive had engine shut off on highway due to overheating (thank God I was next to the shoulder lane). My check brake light indicator comes, lights up on the dash, brake lights however work fine. Dealer so far has added antifreeze (it wasnt low to begin with - just above min) cant find problem with light, would have to tear car down. Then I was rear ended at stop light, 8k in repair done by Audi, car now vibrates. Took it to sunny side Audi bodyshop, they sent me to Sunnyside Audi dealer in middleburg OH, (place of purchase/service) and they try to sell me tires and balance after saying nothing wrong with car alignment. Cant guarantee me that it will fix the problem. I did NOT have a vibration problem before being rear ended.I called Audi America, they sent me back to dealer to try to work something out. My tires have PLENTY of tread left as I used winter tires for at least 8k miles of the 20k. Just a horrible experience with the car, with the service, with the repair work of Audi manufacturing, sunny side Audi service, sunny side Audi collision center. Ive owned Honda, Toyota, Ford and Acura, not had any problems. Acura replaced a 600.00 part under warranty. It failed 2 years later after extended warranty expired and they fixed it again, free of charge under good faith. Audi should learn from this. Im going back to Acura. Im not unreasonable. I offered to pay for tires if indeed it takes care of problem. If it doesnt they should. As I said it 100% did not shake/vibrate before accident. The other electrical issues I just deal with until lease end.

Took my car at the appointed time (11 am) in for a full service (309) it was running perfectly well no faults whatsoever. They said the service would take about 1-2 hrs. I waited 20 mins, rang again, told them how long Id been waiting and want to speak to a manager. Again they said Ill get the manager to ring you straight back. 45 mins later and fuming I rang again. This time they said your car is just being washed now it will be about 15 mins. Now my car has a fault, its jerking and jumping as if it is being starved of fuel. I have just looked at the air filter and its. The one I put in 18 months ago, in my service book its (air filter) been ticked as replaced and crossed out and ticked as not replaced. So no new air filter, not even cleaned, fluids NOT topped up they said thats extra. So almost six hours for a service. I dont think a Boeing 747 would take that long. Just serviced my 2013 A4 at AUDI Santa Monica dealership. Probably the worst experience had with them, they overcharged me by almost $300 (Paid ~$615 while last service was the same and it cost me ~$300, Service Rep claimed that last time workload was less than this time which is not true), been a hectic week for me so had no energy to argue with someone who is probably not responsible. My coolant light sometimes turns on and I have been to that dealership 3 times while car was UNDER WARRANTY to fix this issue and every time I was assured it was fixed and the issue never got fixed. Been regularly servicing my car over there (Have done all required services with Audi) during this period but I was informed that I need to pay an abnormal fee since there is an issue with the coolant pump and parts need to get replaced and it wont be UNDER WARRANTY since it is a new issue which is not the reality (Paperworks proves my statements). Had the same issue with my brakes, no one ever mentioned to me that my brakes have issues (Been following companys guidelines and scheduled maintenance) so now it is going to cost me ~$1K to fix. It is smarter to not go after $300-$1K more for someone who can potentially be your repeat client and make you more money than the change these service departments are after. (I know this since I am a Business Analyst.) Please educate your dealerships on how to run a business. GOODBYE AUDI FOREVER, from now on will take my car to a reputable decent mechanic. Will never also purchase another AUDI in my life.

My name is Dimitri **. I leased a brand new 2010 Audi A5 from Prestige Audi of North Miami beach. With my lease, I was told to bring my car to them every time its time for service. The car said its time for a service so I made an appointment to drop it off. They called me and told me it was ready, so I went to pick it up. I took it home. When I get in to my car, I always approach the driver side. Well one day, I backed the car in and the next morning, I approached from the passenger side and I noticed there was damage to my passenger front wheel.Well, it was dented in multiple places and bowed out at the top of the wheel well plus paint damage. So I said to myself, I didnt do it, maybe I got hit but let me take it to Audi to see what theyll say. So I went there to speak with Fernando **. I told him the situation and he said let me see it and Ill tell you if we did it here. His exact quote was, Ive been working on this lot for 9 years and I know what kind of damage this lot can do and that damage was done here. He told me that where they keep the cars after they service them, is enclosed by a fence and they covered that fence with a white cloth so people cant see in and steal or vandalize the cars. And as one of the porters was parking my car, he didnt notice that a pole was also covered by the white cloth and he pulled it up as far as he could and while doing that, he hit my car damaging the front end. So they damaged the car on their lot. I have that in writing that the car was damaged on their lot while being serviced. So he was very nice in the beginning and said to bring it and they will fix it. I dropped it off on August 8 to be repaired and they said it would take four days. Two weeks later, after no phone call, I called them and it just so happened to be ready. I was like, great, Im coming to get it. I got there and I looked to see if they repaired the car correctly. As I was looking it over, I noticed that the headlight on the damaged side was sticking out more than the other side and there was still a few marks on the bumper. So I told them and they said they would fix it. Another week went by. They call and told me that if I dont bring back the loaned car they gave to me while my car was being fixed, they will charge me. So I brought the car back like they asked. When I got there, I inspected it again and I noticed that the hood of my car was extending over grill of the car. I can stick my fingers under the hood when the hood should be closed. I told them to bring another A5 to compare and u can tell there was a difference. I have pictures and videos of all the damage. If needed. I am paying more than 600 dollars a month for my lease and I take care of the car like its my baby. I leave it with them and they damaged the car. The car will never be the same once its gone to the body shop. It will never be the same and has lost value of my car. If someone checks the car, they can tell there were repairs done. I called them and asked them whats going to happen now. They said that they will do nothing to resolve this matter. Thats why Im writing you to see what I can do as Im only one person dealing with a huge company who doesnt care about the customers. Why should I keep paying the same payment when my car is not new anymore? I would understand if I did the damage, but I didnt. They damaged my car and dont care because theyre not paying for it. The manager called me today and told me to bring the car back and get my car and stop nitpicking. Is it nitpicking or do I just want what I deserve my car (in perfect condition, just like I had it when it rolled of the assembly line)? I dont know who can help me with this situation but I would love for you to help me or point me in the right direction because they dont listen to anything I say. They are trying to take advantage of me because Im young and I am a nice person. But enough is enough (plus I paid for this month and I wasnt even able to drive my car at all, so I paid for nothing).

I got this Audi etron with the security that I would have access to 150kw charging stations that would charge my car in 30 minutes (this is what audi is advertising on their website and what the sales person told me). This was a lie and they dont exist on the East Coast. You are lucky if you can find 1 nearby. The fastest charging time for my audi when its on 26% is an 1hr and 15 minutes on the only supercharge stations that exist which are 50kw (and if few of these exist, only 15 hour level 2 charging stations). This means if I want to go out of states I can not because it will add an extra 5 hours just to charge the car because unlike the sales guy told me it does not give you 250 miles but 204 miles (this depends on how fast you drive, if you are going uphill, and if you turn on the AC). They also sold me the brand new vehicle with all 4 safety handles missing. I am not comfortable driving the car because if something as simple as safety handles was missed what else could have been missed. I reached out to Bryan who was suppose to be helping me from the customer experience department and he told me there is nothing they can do. The car works fine and the service department is fixing the handles. I informed him that they did not fix or check my car but only took pictures. I informed him that I wanted a copy of my the final results that he told me over the phone and I am yet to receive this in writing so I can pursue litigation. They are trying to wipe their hands on selling me $100,000 car. And now I will fight them in court and I wont ever get another Audi vehicle. Getting this E-tron is the biggest nightmare of my life and neither Audi or the dealership are trying to help me by taking this useless overly priced vehicle back.

I was very excited when I purchased my first Audi which was a brand new 2020 Audi Q3. I had been wanting an Audi for quite some time, however this has by far been the worst car purchase I have ever experienced. I bought this car in June of 2020 and today is 8/13/2020 and today marks the 3rd time I have to drop this brand new car off for servicing. I hadnt even driven the car 500 miles yet before I got an error message stating system malfunction. I shut off the car and restarted it and few minutes later, same error message.Took it for servicing and supposedly they fixed it after a week or so but few days later after driving my vehicle, got the same error message. The second time I took it in, they kept my car for 22 days and replaced the turbo and again while leaving I was told that the issue was resolved. Got my car back and then few days later, I got the same error message. I am beyond dissatisfied with my purchase and this was least expected. I am very turned off and would never ever purchase another Audi and would never recommend an Audi to anyone. I wish I could just return this car. HIGHLY DISSATISFIED WITH AUDI AND SUPER FRUSTRATED.

We have had a 2015 Audi for the last 30000 miles. In this short time it seems that so many things are not meant to last. The tires need replaced, the windshield wipers are worn, and the brakes are squealing. We just found out that every time you replace brake pads you have to also replace the rotors - even if they arent damaged because they supposedly wear out in the same time frame. The maintenance costs are incredibly high and the parts dont seem to last long. Overall we are disappointed in the quality of the vehicle. If you buy one, expect a couple grand a year in maintenance in the first couple of years. We are concerned about whether these costs will skyrocket with age of the vehicle. We would recommend not only looking at initial cost of any vehicle but just as important the expected maintenance costs to keep up a vehicle, so you can make sure you get the expected level of quality in what you buy. We will not choose Audi again in the future.

I am writing this message to alert those of you who drive Audi Q7. Last Thursday, I escaped disaster when my Q7 brakes failed while I was driving. I by Gods grace saved ladies and kids who were on the road. Moved the gear from D to P after which it started to slow down and then stopped. I reported the incident to Audi dealer. They got the car towed, performed all the tests and told me that the brakes are fine. And they confirmed it through tests and road tests. I know they are hiding the truth because of Audis image but my conscience is not allowing me to keep quiet and let someone else be the victim of the same situation.

One thing you can count on with any Audi: the worst customer service of any car brand, anywhere. Their number here in the USA is inevitably busy and offers a call-back, one which never happens. I would stay as far away possible from Audi, please dont waste your time & money with this company.

Purchased 2009 Audi from Jack Daniels Audi in Upper Saddle Rive NJ about 2 years ago. Disrespect and deception seem to be the norm at this dealer, and I was soon to find out with Audi USA also. The car broke down within the first weeks of ownership. I was on my way to IL from NJ when it just died in PA. I called the dealer and they were no help saying call Audi USA. I informed the dealer I need a rental car to get home for work. Long story short, it took NJ consumer affairs action to get reimbursed. The car was eventually picked up, at my expense, and driven to IL. The car burned oil at a rate of 1 qt per 750 miles. Sometimes more. I informed the Audi dealer, they stated all Audis burn oil. It was unimaginable, this is how the car was designed. I was finally told by the dealer that a oil fix was available, and after 3 attempts, they said it was done. On attempt 4 I was told drive 100 miles and bring it back, didnt make 100 miles, and broke down on the side of the road. I was told the timing chain was no good and needed replacement, then I dont hear from the dealer for weeks. Dealer called 2 weeks later, saying rings, pistons and values need replacement, FOR EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION! 2 more weeks and I get a call from Audi USA that they WILL NOT ship the car to me in California. The car is in IL, ruined my familys vacation, and now its stuck there. Audi has even now backed out of their offer to make a deal on a new Audi even though I will NEVER buy another Audi. The car is junk, bad dealers, and horrible customer service.

I bought a brand new Audi Q3 2015 last year. Audi was my dream car before, but after buying this car I am feeling guilty of buying this car. I had a service @ one of the dealership last year. They had done wheel alignment and rebalance last year. The service was bad and when I gave the car for routine maintenance at different dealership they wanted me to pay again for rebalancing and wheel alignment. I have contacted Audi to complaint on the bad service. They took a complaint but never called me back with resolution. One of the customer care representative told me that I have to reach out directly to dealer and they wont help me in this issue. I dont understand why I need to buy a luxurious car who dont even take care of their customer concerns properly. I will never buy this car and planning to sell this car in near future. Bottom line - its not my dream car anymore.

Audi 2007 Cabriolet-Takata air bag recalls - Advised of Takata air bag recall by CARFAX (not Audi) on 3/10/2016. I immediately called and emailed dealership who advised they were not aware of recall arrangements but would get back to me when parts might be available. I subsequently did received notice of driver side airbag recall from Audi on 4/5/2016 with the letter indicating no replacement parts were available and I would be advised when they would be. I now have received another notice for the passenger side airbag with same note that no parts are available and I will be advised when that would occur. After 5 months, does anyone think (from a product manufacturing standpoint) that this is acceptable? Note to Audi USA--lack of definitive communication and action will always drive away your customers!

Audi has many variations in model. I had a station wagon with turbo and was very pleased with performance when it actually worked and ran. I was loaned the Audi midsize suv or crossover by the dealership whenever I did need repairs done. And was very pleased with the performance on that car as well. Appearance is the one thing Audi has absolutely perfected. The features regarding interior and driving additions were extremely luxurious. Even more so than any other German car Ive ever driven. My car was very pimped. Also, it held four passengers just fine. However five was a bit too cramped and the back seat did not seem to have much leg room. I firmly believe they could adjust the A4 wagon by adding space for longer legged back seat passengers.

You can customize the interior, wheels, paint color and entertainment but there isnt anything spectacular. They’re a higher class of automotive, but nothing really stands out against the other people theyre up against.

I have never owned an Audi product, so I decided to lease a 2017 Audi Q7 3.0 to determine if I would shift from the Benz and BMW world. The car is good, very good but I have problems with obtaining satisfactory maintenance service. My first bad experience was at Audi of Silverspring, MD where I schedule to take my car in and booked a Loaner. On getting there, I was referred to Enterprise somewhere at the back of the Audi facilities. Enterprise wasted my time and within one hour, the provided 2 cars that did not work. I called my Service Associate multiple times and left messages. I did not get him and he never replied my call. At the edge of one hour, I decided to go back to Audi. I still did not meet my Service Associate. I told them to give me my car and left in annoyance without doing the service (they have not started working on it after one hour). I took it to Audi of Bethesda, MD but was very dissatisfied with their service as well - location difficult to locate, no clear directions that the Dealership location is different from the Service Center, poor estimation of completion time, technicians handled the car roughly and carelessly. I tried reaching through the text I got but no response even though the text stated I could use it to reach my service technician - bad responsiveness. On the next one, I went back to Silverspring and planned to wait while the service was done so I would not run into issues of getting a Loaner car. I got my car back but before I drove back home, the lever used to open the Hood fell off like three times. I kept putting it back and it kept coming off. I then decided to keep it in the Glove Compartment but before that, I took a picture and sent it to the Audi Silverspring SMS text line that the Service Person uses to communicate. I explained and requested a callback. I never got one but after 2 weeks, I got a text asking if I was satisfied. I referred him to my earlier SMS with the picture but never got a response back up till now. I called to leave a message to advise I was trying to get this resolved before leaving an online feedback - no response. Great cars but very poor maintenance service department(s).

In 2007, I purchased a 2003 Audi convertible A4 - 3.0. A few months after purchasing the car with 40,000 miles on the car and 1 month after the warranty expired, the CVT transmission went out. I contacted the local Audi dealer after a lot of wrangling the dealer reluctantly advised Audi would help me with 50% of the repair cost. My portion of this bill was $2,800. 40,500 miles after the transmission was replaced, I need yet another transmission. I called the local Audi dealer and was told that they warrant these transmissions for only 1 year. I asked if Audi would cover a portion of the cost of another transmission and he said no. I called the Audi headquarters and again was told that they only guaranteed the transmissions for 1 year. The lady I spoke with told me that they covered my first transmission replacement at 75% of the cost (I was told 50% by the dealership) and by my calculations, if they covered 75%, then the replacement transmission cost was in the range of $11,200! Bottom line: Audi has a faulty CVT transmission and they should back their product. I realize nothing last forever, but three transmissions within 80,500 miles is ridiculous!

Vehicle (2016 A6 Quattro) has shut off while driving. Vehicle has shut off while at a stop light; would not immediately restart. Fiddled with the gears, put in park. Got vehicle to start after about 30-60 seconds. 30-60 seconds is a significant amount of time at a stop light that has just turned green. This has happened 3 times. Enter vehicle; start; put in reverse or drive to exit my driveway; car has shut off while attempting to exit driveway, 4 times; warning/Prompting me to put it in park. Brakes or rotors make a scratching noise; notice if driving close to a wall or median (to reflect the sound) when windows are down. Have had brakes checked by dealer multiple times and have been told they were fine. However, they make a constant noise. My parking sensor has been stuck in a position that makes vehicle think the passenger side front bumper is in contact with something. Will usually go back to normal by the next day. This has happened twice. Also has 2 recalls. 1 has not been completed. The other, the airbag recall, has been unable to be repaired. Dealer states they have not been sent the parts. This has been ongoing for months now.

Do not ever ever ever purchase or lease an Audi! Heres my nightmare: back i
Do not ever ever ever purchase or lease an Audi! Heres my nightmare: back in 2010 my then husband leased an Audi in my name (the joys of marriage). About one year into the lease, we separated, both of us moving to opposite ends of California. The vehicle sat at our primary NY residence for almost two years as I would have been penalized for an early turn in. The car was only used for the limited times that I would return to the east coast, probably 5000 miles in total during that time. At just over 30,000 miles the clutch died without warning. This happened on a busy two-lane highway in a dangerous spot. Audi financial blamed it on driver mishandling. I have been driving manual transmission for 30 years and this has never happened. I am clearly capable of driving a stick shift. Happily my insurance covered it but for the deductible as Audi wanted to charge $6000 to repair. Finally, several months later the anticipated turn-in date arrives. I do everything I am supposed to: have the car inspected by Audi (which of course jacked up the damages); and turn it into an Audi authorized dealer (Audi Mohegan Lake, NY). The next day I turn in the plates and take this nightmare off of my insurance policy. I thought this was the end of my Audi dealing. Wishful thinking.Five months later I get a call from Audi Credit stating that I never paid the final bill. I advised that I never received the bill. This is because, as they explained, they never sent the bill! I told them to send the bill, which was received a month later. They are now asking for $497.35 in late return fees! Conveniently the odometer statement, prepared by Mohegan Lake Audi does not have the turn in date on it. Audi decided to wait a month to pick up the car after I turned it in. I have been back and forth with Audi Financial and Mohegan Lake and have yet to be able to get proof of the date on which I turned the car into Audi. My insurance (in deadbeat exs name) shows that I turned in the plates to the DMV and took the car off the policy on 7/2 (days after I turned the car in). I cannot find my DMV receipt, cannot get an answer when I call NY DMV, and cannot get the paperwork from Geico showing that the car was removed from the policy because the policy is now in my exs name. I am beyond frustrated! F AUDI!!!!!

New A6 Prestige purchased Dec 2019. On February 11th 2020 the new car just dies while spouse driving on Post Road in center lane with daughter in car. Car just stops and is immobile. Audi Emergency Roadside Assistance does not show up for 3 hours despite confirms two truck being sent and numerous calls for help. Car and spouse stranded in middle of dangerous road at rush hour. Fairfield Service Center engaged yet waiting on Audi Assistance service vs actually intervening to help a loyal local customer. Explanation is they are not responsible for roadside assistance? Car towed 3 plus hours after and no explanation why brand new car died. Safety was why we were loyal Audi clients for 12 years and 6 vehicles. Lack of safety is why that’s over. Questions linger on potential dangers of new A6 (reminder of sudden acceleration issues from past). The car suddenly dying if my spouse had been driving on I95 could have been much more dangerous. Post Road was dangerous enough. Disappointed and shocked after 12 years of loyalty to Audi cars and Fairfield Audi.

We purchased a very clean, well maintained, used Audi A4 3.0 CVT with only 26,000 miles on it from a Range Rover/Audi dealer for our daughter as she went off to college in 2010. We had planned this car, being German built with Innovation through Technology to last her until she graduated and was able to get her first job. The Audi was serviced on a regular basis, then at 42,000 miles the transmission started acting up. After numerous trips to dealer and mechanics, the news was the transmission was shot and it would take $8,500 to repair/replace. The Audi at 48,000 miles is now a parked. A worthless hulk of nuts & bolts. After countless calls with Audi America, polite lip service with no results. We were extremely disappointed to find that Audi America simply does not stand behind their brand.Upon further research, discovered there was a class action suit to a poor design on the CVT Automatic Transmission, which accused Audi of concealing problems from consumers. Audi denied allegations but agreed to reimburse some customers...mmm. An indirect admission? We unfortunately discovered this settlement too late in the process as a result of no communication or proactive involvement by Audi. We have no recourse on our initial investment which equaled to 1/2 years of college tuition. Although my daughter did enjoy her 3 1/2 years driving an Audi at college, the reliability and disappointment by Audi America not supporting their Audi brand will forever taint all of us. Audi will be viewed as the inferior German car that cant be trusted.Closing note: Daughter is about to graduate college and she is considering her purchase on a new car when she starts her job. Her final will not include Audi, but a more respective brand this time around; BMW, Mercedes Benz, Mini, Lexus? We, our friends and anyone else we come across who may be interested in an Audi, will certainly hear the story of our college student deceived by Audis Truth in Engineering. No such thing!

I purchased a brand new 2010 A6 2.0 T in Oct. 2009. I have had the car since then and encountered some odd problems in the past 3 to 6 months. Initially, the car used to burn the engine oil faster than usual since I would have to top up the oil level almost every month, which I found really weird. A few months ago, the car started to basically shake when I would barely be driving at 80 km per hour. Upon taking the car to the service, I was informed that the solution would be to change the engine! After the engine was changed, the car was running OK until last week when I was driving. The steering wheel locked up and then the alternator fault light came on and it said battery not charged on the dashboard. I could have gotten into a terrible car accident and my life was put at risk but I was barely able to maneuver the car just in time to get it off the road. I am a very dissatisfied customer from Audi.

I own an Audi A4 Quattro that with less than 60.000 miles started with a metallic sound from the front wheels, it turned out that the bearings had to be replaced... I had a extended warranty which Audi refused to honor. It is very disturbing that a company that is so proud of their 4-wheel drive would have such premature problems with their wheel bearings. To add insult to injury, the dealer had not updated the history of the car with the repairs done, the brand said there must have been internet problems. To me, it seems like a deliberate effort to hide problems that may affect other owner, which is the reason I am posting this complaint to ConsumerAffairs.

I have a 2014 Audi Q5 and recently for no reason whatsoever, the power steering failed and nearly caused an accident. I mentioned it to my local Audi service department and had them look at it while it was in for 3 other recalls. They agreed that the power steering was not responding and it would have to be replaced. I explained to them that the car is barely driven and has never been in an accident. And I find it unacceptable that a car company that has built a reputation on handling and drivability would have a complete steering failure at 40k miles which they informed me is just out of warranty. I was told at my local Audi dealership that It would have to be paid for out of pocket so I called Audi customer support. This was over 2 weeks ago and since then I have gotten no clear information on the issue. I have been through 3 customer service reps and they have changed stories multiple times. The second to last time they informed me that there was a program that the local Audi dealership has to help in situations like this. So I went back to Audi only to find out that they have no such program and they werent even told about this from the customer service rep. I was supposed to receive an answer almost a week ago and it keeps getting pushed off. At this point I still can not drive the car or else risk getting into a serious accident. I also want to point out that I did research and found out that the SQ5 version of this Audi has a recall on the same issue. I further researched it thinking that the steering system was different only to find out it is the same part number. This is clearly a defect and Audi should be responsible for fixing it. I cant even get a clear answer as to what it would cost since the dealership has changed the price on me multiple times. At this point the car cant be driven and I dont see why I would need to spend up to $3,500 to replace the entire power steering rack on a car with low miles that has been well taken care of. I also dont trust the service department at my local Audi since they informed me that my brakes and rotors need to be changed yet I just had them done about 1,500 miles ago. I am at a loss with Audi and just want the steering replaced so I can safely trade this in on a different brand vehicle or sell it out right. I dont feel safe driving it and I wouldnt want to sell it to someone else as is. If this car is driven it will cause a severe accident.
