Toyota Automobile Model 2025 Toyota GR Corolla

2025 Toyota GR Corolla

The GR Corolla is Toyota’s high-performance, rally-inspired hatchback, developed by Toyota’s Gazoo Racing (GR) division.

For 2025, it’s even more focused: Toyota adds a new 8-speed automatic transmission (DAT) option alongside the traditional 6-speed manual.

Three “grades” (trim levels) are available: Core, Premium manual (MT), and Premium with automatic (DAT)

The 2025 model has more torque (increased to 295 lb-ft) versus previous versions, plus better cooling and aerodynamic updates.

Engine & Powertrain

Under the hood: a 1.6-liter, 3-cylinder turbocharged engine (called G16E-GTS).

Power: 300 horsepower, and 295 lb-ft of torque.

Transmission choices:

6-speed manual with rev-matching.

8-speed Gazoo Racing Direct Automatic (DAT) with paddle shifters, tuned for sporty driving.

Drivetrain: All-wheel drive (“GR-Four”) with selectable torque distribution modes. In DAT models, you can choose Normal, Gravel, or Track modes for different torque splits.

Both front and rear limited-slip (Torsen) differentials are standard, enhancing grip and handling.

Suspension, Handling & Driving Dynamics

Grippy and rally-influenced: suspension is tuned for high cornering performance.

For 2025, the suspension has been enhanced to improve stability during aggressive driving.

Launch control is now available on automatic (DAT) models, helping maximize acceleration off the line.

Design & Exterior

The GR Corolla has a bold hot-hatch look: wide fenders, aggressive bumpers, and aero highlights.

For 2025, the front bumper is redesigned to improve cooling (more airflow) and aerodynamic balance.

Wheels: Core grade gets 18-inch cast alloy wheels; Premium models use matte or gloss finishes.

Exhaust: Triple-outlet exhaust system (a signature look for GR Corolla).

Interior & Comfort

Driver-focused cockpit: short-throw shifter, mechanical handbrake, and controls tuned for performance driving.

Instrumentation: 12.3-inch multi-information display shows things like turbo boost, AWD torque split, gear, and more.

Seating: Heated sport seats; Core trim uses GR sport fabric, while Premium trims use GR suede with red stitching.

Steering wheel: heated in some trims, and very performance-oriented in feel.

Infotainment: 8-inch touchscreen with Toyota Multimedia, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a connected services suite.

Performance & Acceleration

According to road tests, 0-60 mph (or equivalent) is in the ballpark of 4.6–4.8 seconds for the GR Corolla.

Fuel consumption (based on the Ontario product sheet):

Manual: ~11.1 L/100 km city / ~8.3 highway / ~9.8 combined.

Automatic: slightly higher consumption: ~12.1 / 8.6 / 10.5 L/100 km, per Toyota’s specs.

Safety & Driver Assistance

Equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 as standard — includes collision mitigation, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and more.

Both Core and Premium trims have strong safety features along with 10 airbags (front, side, curtain).

Brake cooling ducts are part of the performance design, helping maintain braking efficiency under aggressive driving.

Trim Levels & Pricing (2025)

Core (Manual): the base, raw-performance-focused version.

Premium (Manual): adds more creature comforts, better interior materials, head-up display, sub-radiator, premium wheels.

Premium (Automatic): same as Premium, but with the 8-speed DAT, plus cruise control and sonar.

Price starting point for 2025: Toyota lists MSRP for the Core around $47,915 (Canadian).

Strengths & Trade-offs

Strengths:

Exceptional power-to-size ratio: 300 hp in a small, light AWD hatchback.

Rally-derived AWD system with selectable torque split — very engaging.

Manual or automatic transmission options cater to both purists and more casual drivers.

Aggressive sporty styling that stands out from regular Corollas.

Excellent performance and driving dynamics without being a pure supercar.

Good balance of performance and usability for everyday driving.

Trade-offs:

Fuel consumption is fairly high for a compact car (especially in city).

Only premium gasoline likely suitable for this engine (typical for turbo sports cars).

Ride may be firm due to sporty suspension and performance tuning.

Less cargo space than larger SUVs or more practical hatchbacks.

Maintenance might be more demanding given high-performance parts.

Who the 2025 GR Corolla Is For

Enthusiasts who want a fun, high-performance hot hatch.

Drivers who value rally-inspired AWD but want a daily-usable car.

People who want the option between a manual gearbox or a performance-tuned automatic.

Those who appreciate sporty design and driving dynamics without going to full-blown supercars.

Buyers who are okay trading some fuel efficiency for a thrilling driving experience.

Bottom line: The 2025 Toyota GR Corolla is a highly capable, driver-focused hot hatch that blends rally-bred performance, all-wheel drive, and modern tech. With its powerful 3-cylinder turbo, selectable transmission options, and strict performance pedigree, it’s one of the most exciting Corollas ever made — especially for those who want serious fun in a small package.

Vehicles that have soy based wire coverings and companies not telling customers is awful! Especially when you purchase a brand new one and you have to replace out of pocket $4000 before its a year old! Also I was told after the fact that theres some kind rodent tape I could put on it after they replace the harness at my cost or turn it into our insurance and we still pay our deductible! Toyota should be a shamed of their self. I had a used 4 runner for 7+yrs and never had any major issues. Which is why we purchased the new one. This issue many people are having and toyota doesnt want to cover it under warranty is ridiculous! So disappointed! Get the rodent tape before your wires are bare!! Beware vehicle owners!

My daughters 2012 Yaris that I bought used within 2013 with about 20,000 miles on it for her graduation gift now in 2017 is cutting off while in traffic and drive mode. She has taken it to not one Toyota dealership but about two or three and they all say its nothing wrong with the car. But it keeps cutting off for about 4 to 5 months. She has to drive about an hour out to her job and I am very scared for her that it may cut while she is in traffic and wouldnt be able to get over... I have made complaints to Toyota main office and they stated no recall was noted for this model. She cant afford to not have a car nor to purchase another one. This is very bad for their brand... I guess I will be working more hours to trade this in for a Honda because Toyota is not the brand I thought they were...

Would have preferred to stay with my Corolla in the end. Did not give me problems all the time I was driving

I have been a loyal Toyota customer since the year 2000 buying and leasing multiple vehicles for my personal use, my husband and as the kids got older for my kids. Today 8/30/2019 I had the worst customer experience and left Team Toyota (Route One NJ) in tears. The service department manager has no empathy, no customer service skills. I bought 16 vehicles from Toyota and I am due to get my daughter a vehicle her senior year, It will not be a Toyota. They lost me as a customer. No loyalty towards customers, no care, no empathy ... I am done with them and I will be writing a letter of complain.

I went to my Toyota where I bought the Brand New Car from them. I went back last week and because there were fog or oil in my vent screen and they told me that I have to get a new one but you do have warranty because we are not going to use it because they we dont know if the warranty department is going to pay us or not. But as a business and customer way that is not right to us when we buy car and they tell You dont worry. You have warranty. Please stop lying to people and do your job what we pay you to do. Please dont buy the car from 1155 Bloomfield Ave, West Caldwell, NJ 07006. They are totally liars, fraud and cheaters.

From the time we walked on to that lot was a nightmare. I should have turned around. First off, while making a deal for a trading my vehicle they kept my car key. I asked several times for my key back so I could leave. Not sure if they thought this was a tactic. Rest assure it was not. After about 1.5 hours of waiting (they would keep going back to GET MY KEY) and coming back empty handed we finally agreed to some numbers and went through with the trade/sale. We paid $2,600 for an extended PLATINUM TOYOTA warranty that was to EXTEND the warranty 100,000 miles. Once we were done, we were about to leave and we asked for the pre-certified paperwork. They tried to tell me that it was pre-certified. I looked at the windshield-huge sign that said-PRE-CERTIFIED. It was well under the mileage and the year was 2014. We had to fight to get that paperwork. Then they had to have ME bring the vehicle back to THEIR lot a week and a half later to COMPLETE the pre-certification inspection. THEY NEVER DID A PRE-CERTIFIED INSPECTION? On top of that, took the vehicle in about 1 year later due to the fan on the AC going out. The guy told me that it was almost out of warranty. Are you kidding me? We paid $2,600 for an extra 100,000 miles and I sure as hell know that we did not get even close to the original 100,000 miles. Later that week my husband called to talk to them. He got the runaround (I am sure most of you know exactly what I am talking about here). Sooo, he went to the car lot. He was able to talk with the RODNEY **-SALES AIDA **-CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGER and the finance guy and he told my husband that he was sorry that he made a mistake on the information he gave us that day! What??? So he and my husband called to Toyota finance office and the lady said Yeah this is suppose to have an extended (EXTENDED) warranty. The finance guy told my husband that he will email the information to him that day. About an hour after my husband got home he still did not have an email with that EXTENDED warranty. So he called the finance guy. He was told Oh, I am sorry I can not honor that extended warranty. Are you ** kidding me??? Then we called to cancel the extended warranty and were told well since you have used 3/4 of the warranty you will be prorated at 1/4 of the $2,600 we paid for it. WTF Explain this to me... and I am a blonde but am smart enough to know we do NOT need to warranty 100,00 miles we ALREADY have warrantied. Why in the HELL would we pay $2,600 for 100,000 mile warranty when we have the FACTORY 100,000 mile warranty? We would NOT do that. We were to have an EXTENDED warranty. Do they even know the definition of EXTENDED?Hell no, they do not know crap. I will never step foot back on their lot or any lot they are associated with. They purposely lied and deceived us, the finance guy admitted it. But still got screwed. The least they could have done was given us the $$2,600 we paid for a warranty that we ALREADY ** had. WARNING---STAY AWAY FROM FAYETTEVILLE AUTO PARK--- I will tell you who to go see..the guys at McLarty Daniels. My son and husband bought trucks from them within 3 months of each other. Amazing people! One made a mistake...owned up to it...and corrected it!!! They have *****5 STARS***** from me!

Purchased a brand new Toyota 4Runner in 2016. At 64000 miles, just over warranty, it experienced a stuck lifter in the cylinder head. Leaked all the oil, and scored the piston walls. No check engine light, no low oil pressure alarm, nothing to signify anything was wrong with the vehicle. Toyota denied the warranty claim and now we are stuck with a 6600 bill to replace the engine. I have always been a toyota fan, have owned them all my life, but I will now be looking at other options. Beware, this could happen to you.

My Venza is my favorite car so far. It has been very reliable and I have only had to do routine maintenance. I really like the sporty look of it and there are vents in the back. The back seats are comfortable and they fold down easily to provide a lot of storage space. Also, the car has good pick-up and I was impressed with the gas mileage. However, the cabin could be quieter, the road noise is pretty loud and the engine seems loud as well. My automatic locks are not working right now, either. But overall I am satisfied.

I’ve owned different makes in the past. GM, Ford, Dodge and Toyotas. Since 1985, I’ve owned several Toyotas. Every Toyota I’ve owned has outperformed the other makes by a wide margin. They are more reliable and more durable than all the other makes. Every Ford I’ve owned needed major repairs because of either substandard build and/or substandard parts. The 2014 RAM 3500 I owned had a substandard design. Back to Toyota, its website is pretty easy to get around. Toyota’s one drawback is its pricing, especially for its trucks. But as the old adage says “you get what you pay for”, and with Toyota it is my experience you get greater quality.

Unfortunately a header cracked in our Highlanders engine and caused the entire engine to blow at less than 84,000 miles. As the mechanic at the Toyota dealership put it, This shouldnt have happened. After contacting the Customer Experience Department I was told that financial assistance in these situations is based upon customer loyalty and service records. We own a second Toyota that was purchased at a Toyota dealership a few years prior to our Highlander.Additionally, I offered to provide my service records but the Customer Experience Department already decided they werent going to help us recover any of the loss. The cost to replace the engine was $7,500. Toyota could have easily offered to pay $2,000 of the cost and kept me as a customer but apparently making intelligent business decisions is not a top priority for the Customer Experience Department. In total I gave Toyota over $60,000 for two automobiles in the last 7 years. My wife and I are in our 30s which means we will probably purchase another 10 cars in our lifetime. If half of those were Toyotas at an average cost of $30,000, that is $150,000 in revenue they just gave up because they refuse to assist a loyal customer. Congratulations Toyota, I will never buy another one of your automobiles again! You have officially lost me as a customer for life.

After purchasing a Toyota certified Venza that as used, I noticed the steering column as shaking making rattling noise in which there are tons of complaints. I contacted the Toyota corporate and they agreed to have it looked at. When they finally found the problem and I was right, they denied me of getting it fixed. They told me to call the Kia dealership in which I purchased. However, why would I have my Toyota certified vehicle fixed at a Kia dealership. Then they told me to buy a warranty. But if the car has a precondition, it wont get fixed anyway. So now Im out money and instead of their price of 300 I will have to pay 1300. Im so upset. I was almost in an accident a couple of weeks ago for failure to control my steering wheel.

It was a very cheap used car and hasnt given me any issues yet. Its excellent on gas & its a very nice and cute little car for being 18 years old. Fingers crossed! Toyotas tend to be made well & hold up longer and go many miles more than other models. And they hold their value really well. However, the radio is really old & it cannot connect to cell phone. Plus could be louder with better bass. Also the knob doesnt always work when turning volume.

The worst company ever!!! If you plan to buy a car, dont even go to Toyota. They are all total jerks. I called them in March to postpone my payments due to pandemic because I was not able to work and make money. They postponed my payments and they said that there was not going to be in any interest charge. Looking at my August bill, seems like they placed $398 interest fee on top of my $400 payment. I called them and explained everything and they acted like they are not from Earth and they were not aware of Pandemic. They were talking about my contract and which line of the contract indicates that I am still forced to pay interest charge if I dont make any payments. I mean are they stupid? I know if you dont make payments there will be interest fee and thats why I called them so we can extend the payment period. They did not care at all.

The motors are really good. They last a long time. The drive train is really good. The body will rust off before the motor goes bad. Get good gas mileage around 20 miles to the gallon on most. The seat belts are strong and the air bags dont burn you when they hit your chest. Well already mine didnt. The storing is perfect. It will take a curve like its out of this world and the brakes will stop you on a dime. Parts are really cheap for the most part and the motors if you ever have to work on it besides regular stuff the motors are very easy and simple to work on. We have had cars for over 45 years and never had this issue. Is the paint suitable for purpose? Wont be able to use on the roads or park outside for fear of birds droppings. I took Toyota Sequoia in for Takeda Air Bag recall... Left unable to access the back of the car. I asked if they could check the back trunk of car since the air conditioning might be leaking. They broke the back handle to open the trunk off and CLAIMED it was missing when I dropped the car off. Funny thing is at 6:30 am when I took a case of water out of the back it was just fine. The service manager, Jason said, It is an old car, things break. My appointment was at 7 am, it was there and working at 6:30. Strange? I said they broke and need to fix it and he said that he will not, unless of course, I want to pay. They broke it, I am positive. I asked if they had cameras so we could look at the footage (of them breaking it) and conveniently my car was outside, not near any cameras.I opened a complaint with Toyota Corporate and other than they are lovely to speak with they did not care at all. They are kind and continue to say how sorry they are for this negative experience but claim there is nothing they can do to assist me. I ended up purchasing the part from another Toyota dealer for $129.00. They were unable to install due to their schedule (keep in mind I have been unable to open the trunk for weeks now), so I took it to local repair shop for another $160. My airbag recall cost me! When I told Toyota Corporate numerous times I felt they should cover my cost they said they are sorry but cannot help! Seriously? I told them I have receipts I can give them... nothing. They are like talking to the wall. The dealership (Glen Toyota in Fair Lawn NJ) told Toyota Corporate they offered to install without charging labor, just charging for parts. They did NOT offer this. They offered nothing but rather insisted they did not break it.

But I shouldnt be stuck with a car I dont love. Customer service is about retention and not just money. Which is what it feels like it is. I need help returning the car. The gm Cody ** left knowing I was there to talk to him and didnt acknowledge me at any point. Quite frustrating to have the gm treat you like that when a consumer just purchased a vehicle. All they did was technically make me own the car longer today which I dont know if that matters or not. But if it does, then it was a very malicious move on their part. Again all I want is to return the car and buy something I love. Not something that isnt a great product for me. Not a single person pointed out the cabin noise to me directly and I find that to be reckless and predatory onto consumers.

In 2015 I went to a dealership in Lawrence, KS where I was approved for a car loan for the RAV-4 hybrid. In hindsight I am not sure I should have been approved for the loan. I told them how much I thought I could afford a month with insurance included. They quoted me a price, when I said I couldnt afford the insurance the floor manager said that he would make a phone call then sold me liability insurance. He said I didnt need comprehensive insurance only liability. After a few months I realized I couldnt afford the payments. I went to the dealership in the new state I was living to ask for advice about what to do in my situation. They insisted that I go in person to speak with one of their sales reps. When I arrived the sales rep I was assigned was relentless. I got flustered, I had mentioned several times I needed to leave to take the night to think about what to do however, I ended up leaving with a car I didnt want. I was a single mom, my daughter was getting restless. When signing the paperwork we looked into switching the insurance plan over to the new car, that is when I was told that legally I was required to have full coverage insurance on a car if you have a loan. In the end I left with a car I didnt want because I thought it would be affordable but cost me the same. Since I have had this car (2016 Prius), the handle came off when I went to open the door. The dealership said they wouldnt cover the cost because they determined it had come off due to someone forcefully opening the door. Three years after having the car the AC stopped working. I was told it was due to the air conditioning radiator damper servo sub assembly malfunctioning. I was told again that Toyota would not cover the cost to repair it and it would cost me over $1,000 to repair it. I do claim responsibility for my naivete and for not educating myself more before walking into a car dealership. My experience was not great. I suspect the dealership in Lawrence is manipulating paperwork to give loans to people who would otherwise not be approved for those loans. And erroneously advising customers to purchase liability insurance. I will never buy from Toyota again. I would never advise anyone to.

Ever since I bought my new 2018 Toyota Highlander last August I’ve been accumulating an unreasonable amount of paint chips. I ordered Toyota’s touchup paint after my first service visit however, it was too cold to apply at the time. Since then I’ve accumulated over seventy paint chips mostly on the front of my car. The chipping is only on the metal parts not any of the plastic parts. I took my car to the Toyota dealer with my concerns and their Service Manager told me to call corporate Toyota. My Case Manager there opened a case and then told me to call the Toyota dealer for further instructions. I called their Service Manager and was told to take my car to a body shop and get an estimate. I took it to the closest body shop and they said it appeared the paint was applied “soft” then he gave me an estimate. A couple days later my Toyota Case Manager called again and told me the Dealer should’ve sent me to a specific auto body shop because they needed paint tests done. She sent me to a Toyota certified body shop where the owner took my car into their shop and looked it over. He then walked me over to another Highlander that had 52,000 miles to compare, there weren’t any paint chips on it. The shop owner told me there is an “excessive amount of paint chips for a car of my age and mileage”. Long story short my Toyota Case Manager called and said there is nothing they can do for me because all the paint tests were within a normal range. My car was purchased in August of 2018 and is only 7 months old and already needs a new paint job. The paint chips started when I bought the car and every day I drive it I accumulate even more paint chips. I now have a seven month old car that already need a new paint job. Despite two separate body shops saying this is not normal Toyota says it is normal and refuses to do anything about it.

The car has efficient mileage which allows me to save on gasoline. The four door sedan is roomy and allows for easy entry and exit of passengers. The car is well manufactured so it allows me to keep driving it with minimal problems. It is reliable and easy to maintain. Additionally, the trunk is spacious and you can utilize every inch. The spare tire is full sized too and the air conditioner is well made and still running perfectly with no problems. But the drivers seat could be manufactured so that the headrest fits or forms behind the head better. The back support could also be improved. Moreover, the floor mats that were provided by the dealer could have fitted better since it sometimes slides back and forth.

I bought a used 2006 Toyota RAV 4 for 1200 dollars. The miles were already getting up there but I could tell by the look of the car the previous owner had taken care of it. I have 4 kids who take every red cent to raise and this car was within my budget. But I thought if I got a year out of it to beat back and forth to work then it would serve its purpose. It would be a 1200 well spent. Id love to say that when I bought this car I took care of it just like the previous owner, but that would be a lie. I beat the car to hell, I didnt change the oil once in 4 years, not a filter or spark plug. I did nothing for this car the entire time I owned it except replace tires to pass inspection, replace wheel bearings, and put gas in it. This year I took it to be inspected and there is rust on the gas tank and other places and repairs would cost about 1000 dollars. I cant see spending 1000 dollars on a car that basically cost me as much. And there are over 375,000 miles on the thing now. But the engine is still going and the problems are all outside of it. I would love to see if I could hit half a million with this car and I think I probably could. Its a beast. And one of the best cars I have ever owned. Honestly I treated it so badly I dont know how its still running. But it is. Best car I have ever owned. Sadly I will be looking for a new beater for work as I cant doing the repairs makes any sense. But I would recommend this car to anyone.

I did have to bring it to Toyota for a few recalls and had dialogue with them about some defective cables they said were ok but since the 2007 dont install anymore? But all in all she handles great. It could accelerate and stop okay. Also side to side was fine. On the highway it drive same as the other cars. It handled okay at high speeds. But I once had to take it to Toyota because I notice the headlights stay on during drives. Then, sometimes the battery would get too hot and I need to pull over to let it cool off. June 2018 I bought my wife a 2010 Toyota Sequoia Platinum. Being a mechanic I asked all of the questions about the service history of the one I was buying. I was told that it had never had any issues, trouble codes, wrecked, or anything. Within the first month the check engine light came on. My wife thought that it meant low oil so she took it to a Jiffy Lube. They performed the normal oil change service and scanned the computer to see why the engine light was on. They told her that it had a history of setting off the check engine light & trouble codes for the air injection system & that the dealer charges about $4000 to fix that, so they just keep clearing the code, which clears the engine light, and sold it to us without fixing the problem. At the time it had 145,000 miles and was within the warranty (that we didnt know about). The dealer told us that there was not a warranty and kept trying to sell us an aftermarket warranty when we bought it. My wife told me that she got the oil changed & the paperwork was in the console, without telling me everything else. Now: two months ago it did it again but put it in limp home mode. It is now setting in my pasture broken down & waiting for repair because Toyota refuses to fix it under warranty because it is now 154000 miles, 4000 beyond the warranty, even though we bought it within the warranty mileage and it messed up right away and showed a history of having this problem before we bought it from the dealer. This is my first and Last Toyota I will ever own. I should not have to jump through hoops or have to hire an attorney to sue them to make them stand behind their product.

This car can take a beating and still be dependable. Its good in all kinds of weather. I feel safe in it. Especially on highways. I also like that it is a 4 door with lots of room inside. I like how I have control over all door, windows and locks and that it is an automatic and that everything works. I also like the adjustment room for both front seats and the high roof. However, I would increase the size of the air vents. When I put the back seat down I would increase the opening to the trunk. I would also make the roof a little higher and not have the seats so low. It makes it hard to get in and out of car.

I have all the Toyota Camry in the past and it was awesome as well. The only thing that this car could not withstand was one time when I was unfortunately stuck up on a block ice and snow that the plows left on the road on an exit ramp in the dark. Somehow when I hit the snowbank a sensor fell off the bumper but it remained dangling inside the bumper for a very long time whilst I tried to figure out why my car was not running right. All I had to do was snap the sensor back in the bumper and my entire vehicle runs like new again. The strange thing was that the misplaced sensor caused my engine to idle rough and not give enough air to the engine.

I have dealt with the Ganley (formerly Geller) dealership for 40 years. During that time the service department and sales consultants have for the most part been exemplary. I was distraught when my 2013 Scion XD was totaled by a driver running a red light. No one was injured or killed; however, I could barely think straight about a replacement car both with financing and the Scions unavailability.Sales consultant, Matt **, was outstanding and empathic about my situation. He is a star when it comes to following through with every detail. Dan **, John, and Mike ** are incredible in Service. All this dealerships mechanics also work on Mercedes as it is a dual dealership - a definite added advantage. Matt advised me that the 2019 CH-R XLE would be a great car for me and take away the sting of my losing my prior car. He was correct. My 2007 Toyota Camry - 10 years and the car is still going strong! There was two problems with the car, but these were caused by mechanics at the dealership and NOT by the Toyota factory. Another dealership heard my complaints and fixed the car at NO charge to me without any arguing! They even paid for a rental car! Some say Toyota is boring, I guess if you like a car that never breaks down, then I suppose it is boring! The car just keeps driving without problems, oh, how boring is that! The car was bought 50% on a Toyota Loan. I made my payments for the first year until I received some other money and was allowed to pay the remainder of the loan without further interest and/or penalties. It was a very fair and easy plan to follow. Reason for my review; It is important to not confuse the car with the dealership, that is to say, some dealerships are better than others.

This 1991 Toyota pickup truck has good gas mileage. This truck takes knocks and bumps great. This truck always starts no matter what the weather. They seem to run forever. This pickup truck gets good gas mileage and is easy to handle and drive. It has the perfect amount of bed space as well as cab space for me. This truck is easy to work on and its easy to find parts for which are inexpensive. The insurance is also low for a vehicle as well as the taxes and tags. It is so sound. I only wish there were more of them. The thing I did not like about this truck is how the seatbelts are. They are placed in a way that they cut across your neck and no kind of seatbelt comfort aid helps this. I put a clamp on mine at the part where it retracts.

The front driver seats edge of my 2019 Toyota Highlander is completely smashed and it makes driving and especially getting out of the car very uncomfortable (not even talking about the look and value of the 3 year old car). I noticed the problem almost a year ago, since then its been getting worse and I asked for the seat replacement last December, when the car was 2 years 8 months old and still under the full warranty. I went to the Desert Toyota and a manager there found my complaints reasonable and submitted a claim. We got a response from Toyota in about a month and they refused to replace or fix a seat under the warranty saying that its simply an outside influence. I believe that its ridiculous since I weigh 120lb and have less than 30,000 miles over those years. Moreover, this is my THIRD Toyota Highlander. Ive had the previous one for about 10 years and no problem with any of the seats with the same usage. Obviously something was wrong with that seat from the beginning and it should be replaced under the warranty.Otherwise, if its just normal wear and tear according to Toyota, what kind of garbage was it made from if it wont even last three years with average usage? Im not even talking about other minor issues that weve been having with that car. My previous Toyota started having more serious issues but only after about 7 years of usage. The first one was almost perfect. It looks like the quality of a Highlander is going down the drain. Definitely, its going to be the last Toyota that we buy.

Having owned several Toyotas, I considered them to be good reliable vehicles and never had a reason to question the warranty. After 6 months and about 3,000 miles I noted that my rear taillight assembly was lost. At the Sweet Toyota dealership, the body shop manager noted that there was no damage to the taillight and offered that one of the 2 screws attaching it to the body must have been over-torqued on installation. The 2 screws go into a metal clip embedded in the molded plastic taillight unit. My local dealership offered to split the $180.00 cost for a new unit because Toyota would not consider that as a warranty part. The help line at Toyota told me they would reimburse me up to $100.00 if I sent in a receipt because I was such a good customer. Why was I asked to play these games? Why doesnt the dealer and Toyota handle this without involving me and my money up front. Please note, this wasnt a light bulb, it was a molded plastic unit similar to a plastic bumper or fender piece. Maybe Toyota should list what items are actually covered under their warranty rather than simply excluding fair wear and tear items like tires and wiper blades. What are the odds that I will consider Toyota for my next new vehicle?

We leased a brand new 2019 Toyota Sienna XLE and after a few weeks it got a terrible mold smell. All our car seats, Clothing and personal belongings developed a terrible mold smell and had to be thrown out. Toyota didnt even care to reimburse us for the personal damage that we incurred or to reimburse us for our monthly payments. In other words we had to pay monthly payments to Toyota while we had a moldy car that wasnt drive-able. They told us if we dont make our payments they will ruin our credit. My mother used my car (better mileage) to pick up my daughter and once they came my car was parked in the garage with the door closed. I never questioned to check since my mom usually does this task just fine. I know her memory isn’t as sharp as it was 5 years ago but at age 62 she is showing some decline in memory. Anyway, I luckily needed to put boxes away in the attached garage and that’s when I found my car running with the garage door down with keys inside. It had been running for over an hour. The only thing that kept me and my kids from suffering was the electric features on this car kept the car from using gas to create CO levels quickly. There was some CO released enough to give me a headache but it could have been a silent killer for my family that night as we weren’t planning on leaving the home for another 30 hours. I was just questioning last week why I still pay my higher car payment on a great mileage vehicle when I work from home but now I know why. I won’t be trading her in anytime soon... it saved me and my kids lives.

40 plus years of buying nothing but Toyota. 4 in my driveway right now. But no more! They used to be excellent about addressing defects in their vehicles. No more - they refuse to correct flawed HID headlight systems short of paying them about 4,000 for replacement with the improved headlight assemblies. They were always on top of safety issues in the past regardless of whether your vehicle was still in warranty or not. Even when recalls were not mandated. Obviously when they wont take care of widespread randomly failing headlights, that policy is no more. So I say - Toyota no more!

We bought our Toyota Yaris brand new in 2008. After one year, the paint on the roof began to peel. At first it was just a small bubble of paint. But over the past few years, the peeling has spread to our entire roof. We asked the dealership about it and were told that it was our problem, that we would need to pay for a paint job. We couldnt figure out what was causing it. But we took the dealership at their word. Recently, weve noticed other Yaris with the same issue. Most of them have been blue, just like ours. All of the peeling paint has been on the roof. We just saw one today thats red. We talked with one of the owners and she showed us where the peeling paint had moved down toward the drivers side door. Toyota needs to do a recall for a free paint job. The resale value of the car is diminished by the slip-shot paint job.

This is a great car. It has all of necessities that I think of a car should come equipped with. It has great fuel mileage. Theres a nice smooth ride and a lot of extra perks. Its not too low to the ground so you dont feel like youre sitting on the ground. It also has a large trunk enough space to comfortably fit 5 people. And everything inside is touchscreen. This car also comes in a ton of different colors and you can completely customize it any way you want. Not to mention affordable. And I love the way this car is easy to handle. Its a very nice overall car to have. But I would like to see more features on the vehicle well that would make it more appealing to people who like technology. I would also like it do defrost work faster because here in the cold winter months it takes forever to thaw your car out.

Many of us believe that TOYOTA is a best brand and it will run at least for 100000 miles. I also felt the same and bought the car from a dealer earlier in 2013, a 2010 Toyota Camry. Now the miles is around 84000. All of the sudden the engine started to make noise. No rains, no animals, no accident. It started to behave on its own. The check engine light and VSC light started to glow, I am shocked to see this happening. I went to TOYOTA dealer. They said this is a serious problem. A car having trouble in engine within 84000 miles. I was also crazy to hear it.I called the Toyota Motors. They simply state the engine is out of warranty and they cannot help on this as they can provide only the warranty for 5 Years or 60000 miles. Even though I explained the situation they are not ready to listen anymore and they simply declined the request. With no other options left I have to go back to my Toyota dealer again. Now he me about 6000$. After an hour talk he reduced to 4000$. The part is coming only around 1000$ but the service charge they are asking for 3000$. The problem is with the ignition coil and when I read it in the websites there are chances that the car could have been gone uncontrol and its a risk factor for anyone to drive. Toyota is not ready to accept this as its fault. I believe they need to value the customers and their safety.

Now that the deal is done, signed and a payment is being withdrawn from my new account they are harassing me for the balance of my payoff. We don’t carry our payoff of our vehicle in our pocket so I gave an estimate which he should have followed up with a 10 day payoff. Now I am receiving harassing phone calls and texts messages at my job on this. Legacy Toyota is very unprofessional and they don’t think of the buyer. All they want is numbers and don’t care at whose cost. This is going to end up with an attorney. I’m waiting to hear from Toyota on this matter. OK, at first I loved this car bought it used with only 29,000 miles on it. Its very attractive and pleasing to the eye. Love the Sea Glass Pearl color. Now, having driven it 15K+ miles, I feel it is important to share some observations. Great mileage, you bet. Easy maneuverability, yes. So what is the issue? Visibility!! It is poor. The back door split design stinks. The car is low and with the little mini windows in front of the regular windows, it is a challenge to see some things that a higher car with single windows allow for. If you bump into anything, you are talking a major repair as the entire bumper needs replacement. That costs almost $800. And, it has happened to me twice. Once backing up at dusk with a ships anchor in the dirt along the fence, not visible because of being too low. Second, hitting a part of a broken wall that, again, was not visible due to being too low. I AM a good driver in case youre wondering but my height and the cars proximity to the ground make it a quick victim of any really low edifice even parking concrete bumpers. I thought this was going to be great but the visibility has changed my mind. Other issue, the cockpit design with the raised storage between seats is very inconvenient. This was obviously designed by a man and not a woman. Toyotas in general are getting a bad rap since assemblage in the US of A. Used to be great cars. Id say try something else!

It is very fuel efficient and was economical compared to other cars or SUVs. I have been able to put a lot of miles on it with few repairs. However, it does not handle well in snow and ice. It doesnt have power windows or a key fob. It doesnt have cruise control and there is a lot of road noise. I also dont have Bluetooth or an auxiliary audio jack. My name is Andrew ** and I work in the automotive industry. I am a Team Leader at a Toyota Dealership in Lancaster, Ohio. I have been around, owned or driven hundreds of makes and models of cars new and used. I have also owned my fair share. Recently I purchased a 2017 Toyota 4Runner JTEBU5JR9H5470030 (Sep. 2, 2017) and within the first couple hundred miles of driving in I noticed a really bad steering wheel shimmy/walk/shake. I am not sure what is the best way to describe it. I brought it back into the dealership (at that time I worked at a Kia dealership) to have them look at it. They balanced the wheels and checked the alignment and said it was fixed. I picked it up and nothing was fixed so the car ended back up in the shop for the another I believe 9 days as they tried to balance the tires. Bought new equipment to balance the tires better, switch tires and wheels from another 4Runner to finally saying that all 4 tires were no good and switching them out and using the new machine to road force balance them. Did it help? Yes it did for about a week. Unfortunately it all came back just the same. At this point I was tired of dealing with it so I just figured I would suck it up an accept it because it was only a lease and even though I wanted to buy it out at the end I didnt have to. Then in February I ended up getting a positon at the Toyota dealership and the problem was bothering me so bad still that I decided to try again to get it fixed since I didnt have to drive my car anywhere extra because now I worked there. Again they road force balanced the tires and said it was fine and then another week or two went by and I asked them to check the alignment which was off (probably from the constant shimmy) and they fixed that. I even reached out to Toyota to see if they would buy the car back since I was a good Toyota client. They said that the car was within guidelines. So here I am.I am not trying to get rich or get a settlement. All I want is for someone to look into this long existing problem that the Toyota 4Runner has that Toyota denies. It might never help my situation out but maybe just maybe it could help someone else out in the future. I am attaching some links that will show you that this is been a long ongoing problem that Toyota wont address. If you need to reach me other than by email my cell phone number is ** and my work number is ** Thanks for listening.

I have owned two Toyota Camrys (1999 & 2005). The 1999 was a V6. I dont need to be specific other than to say, if you want drive a car that can easily last more than 200,000 without the expensive repairs, this is the brand to consider. Toyota should definitely earn the Most Reliable Japanese Car award. Look around when youre driving. What do you see most? Toyotas, BMWs, Hondas, etc. I dont remember any rental car companies that use Toyotas, which means every Toyota you see on the road are either owned or leased, and not rented. (I might be wrong, btw.) So, something for you to consider the next time youre in the market to buy cars.Tip to all the Toyota owners: If your mechanic tells you something is bad and your has less than 75,000 miles, he is lying to you. I have brought my Toyotas to many local shops (to save money from dealerships exaggerated cost for repairs) and they have suggested to replace the water pump, the radiator, this or that. I was wary and skeptical with their scare tactic approach, so I didnt fix it at that time. Now, 7 years later and with 127,000 miles, its still running smoothly. Of course, you still have your routine maintenance that needs to be replaced every few years (air filter, tires, batteries, etc). One mechanic told me, A Toyota with less than 100,000 is still considered almost new. You just have to make sure to change your oil every three to four thousand miles and tune up your car every now and then. These are his words, not mine. My owner manual states every 5000 miles for each oil change, but I think that also depends on how you drive it and how frequent it is driven. You can save a lot of $$$ if you buy it used.Bottom line is, if you want a car for the long-haul of saving money for many years to come, you should definitely consider buying a Toyota. Now, sometimes I wonder why Toyota owners even own Toyotas. I know I drive it because this car was handed down to me and Im just waiting for it to break down. I mean, lets face it: Tundra drivers dont drive it to haul stuff. (There are many other stronger trucks.) You cant show off your social status with an Avalon. (Again, there are way more other choices.) You cant pick up girls with Camrys. (Not sporty enough to be a sport car and not luxury enough to be a high-class car.) A Corolla is good for what? Prius are well-known for their electric cars, which have been in high demand this past decade. In my opinion, I think you will want to get rid of your Toyota before it will stop working on you.

My Prius is fine. However, I regret this recent purchase as I have just learned that Toyota is irresponsibly abetting the attempt to reduce emission/mileage standards. I have bought a number of Toyotas in the past and have always thought that I was helping to move, however slowly, towards the massive reduction in emissions that we achieve before further collapse makes that question, and so many others (as well as auto makers profits) moot! I truly hope that Toyotas management will consider our collective future and abandon this position - and regain my trust.

I received my Toyota Yaris 2007 (sedan) as a Christmas gift while in High school in 2010. At the time it only had 26k miles on it, now it has 185k and shows no signs of giving out. Between high school, college, road trips, and long daily commutes, I have put this car through the wringer! Outside of routine oil changes, I haven’t had to spend much on maintenance. I have had to replace the belts a few times, brakes twice (first shop did it wrong and did not even replace nor check the rear brakes), and now it needs a new wheel bearing. I would say that’s pretty good for such a small car with high mileage. I am now looking for another car because I have a little one and the compact size does not agree with a growing toddler. But I won’t be trading in this car. I’ll be passing it down to my niece. Toyota really does prioritize dependability!

My complaint: The issue of tan color leather seats and dye transferring. Toyota being aware of the issue and not standing behind their product. I recently purchased a 2016 Toyota Avalon. At the time of purchase I purchase the extended. During the first two weeks I noticed that the tan leather seats were changing colors. On the seat and up by the shoulders and in the drivers seat were dark. I reached out to customer service Nationally and locally for assistance on this issue. I was informed that this is what Toyota call transferring. Which means that the dye from the clothing that I was wearing was transferring onto the leather seats. I was contacted by the local service manager at Sunnyside Toyota who informed me that they would do a one-time courtesy cleaning of the leather seats. She informed me this is not a Toyota issue. It was the clothing industry issue. I explain that the leather had not been treated properly because dye should not be transferring that easily to this leather and I wanted to bring the car back. Her reply was, Cars are not like an item you purchase at Target. You cant just return it. She suggested that I trade in the car or I could possibly buy seat covers. Seat covers to cover the leather seats in my car... When I asked if they, the dealership, carry the seat covers she suggested I buy them aftermarket but I needed to be sure that I purchased seat covers that allowed for the airbags in my car. My issue with this whole matter is if your company is aware of this issue why havent they did anything to correct or resolve the matter.

Several months ago, my wife took our Rav-4 to the dealership for regular service- an oil change. My wife calls me later on to inform the car had leaked oil out onto the driveway and adjacent road. The dealerships service department had cross-threaded the oil filter, causing the leakage. Several months later we received a bill from the dealership for towing and the rental car (they gave us a rental and hauled the car back to the dealership on a rollback). We, are afraid to do further business with Toyota or, their dealer. Nothing preventing them from loosing a few transmission bolts, engine, etc. Bottom line, Toyota, could care less about the disingenuousness of their partnership counterpart - i.e., the dealer. Sadly, this has caused us to consider having to get rid of the vehicle due to these unresolved issues, lack of service, lack of product support and, moreover, lack of professionalism. I am very, very disappointed. We, will never purchase another Toyota based upon this experience. Toyota Canada Inc. Head Office 1 Toyota Place, Toronto ON, M1H 1H9. I have been reluctant since last year to write to you about the horrible service I received from your maintenance people who serviced my 2007 Matrix. It all started with a rhythmic feeling in the right side of the tire area. It was determined that the bearing had to be replaced and it was for $450. The problem was still there and I took it back and was told that it most likely was the left side bearing. Again a senior technician looked at it and told Charlene that it was tire cupping that was causing the problem. As I was at Costco I had brand new front tires ($400) installed.Absolutely no change in the feeling in front end as well as losing a pair of decent front tires. I felt foolish and taken for a ride at your dealership. I had to go somewhere and I took it to JD auto and they found the problem with the calipers as one of the pistons was seized and was biting into the rotor. Again more cost to me to replace all front breaks because your people did not do their job properly, I am very very reluctant to visit for any more maintenance for fear of not getting proper repairs without fear. Up to the time of these problems with your dealership I had no problems and was very happy with my visits and the friendly receptions. I have had muffler and parts installed since with JD Auto because of my distrust and reluctance to take my vehicle to your dealership. If you look up my maintenance records, you will see that I used you exclusively until last year because of my trust with the maintenance and repairs.I have since had a telephone conversation with Darrell but he just didn’t understand the ramifications on losing this consumer for new vehicles or maintenance. Since he has only been on his job for 8 months he would not commit to “what can I do for you” with what he could do for me. We left it at that. All the mistakes made at the repairs eventually cost me over 1300 dollars for no reason. Shameful for Toyota. No longer will I be looking for a Toyota product because of this incident.

I am a fan of Toyota and recommend people to buy Toyota Cars. I myself bought Toyota cars. I recently was looking for a Toyota Sienna LE and I spoke to Toyota Klamath Falls and they agreed to a price with me and gave me the go-ahead to come to their dealership for a van even I told them that I am coming far from the dealership more than 60 miles they confirmed me that they will sell at the agreed price. When I and a friend of mine reached there, I double checked (even though the car has scratches all over but they agreed to fix that) with them before running of my credit check, the sales guy again confirmed the same price and asked me to sign on certain papers. I did that, but, after some time he came back with a different price which was $400 more than the agreed price and said either buy on this price or leave the dealership which was rude. I decided not to buy the car on principles I didnt want myself to be tricked on this dirty trick of them. They didnt give us any copies of anything like the documents which I signed and rudely said that they are not giving us anything and leave.
