Nissan reveals trio of Frontier concepts to inspire outdoorsy types
[BACK]

Posted On: February 10, 2022
Nissan launched a redesigned Frontier for the 2022 model year, and the new mid-size pickup truck is not only a huge improvement on its predecessor, it also outshines some of the competition.
As a result, the new Frontier is likely to appeal to more than just your average work truck buyer. Nissan is well aware of this and plans to use this week's 2022 Chicago Auto Show to present a trio of Frontier concepts aimed at different types of outdoor enthusiasts.
The concepts include the Project 72X, Project Hardbody and Project Adventure, and all are based on the Frontier Crew Cab. Crucially, they're fitted with many parts already available from Nissan or aftermarket firms, though some elements are custom designs.

The Project 72X is a modern take on the popular Datsun 720 truck first introduced in 1979—and the first Nissan to be assembled in the U.S. Local production started in 1983 at the then-new Nissan plant in Smyrna, Tennessee. The modern truck is based on the Frontier's S grade and features a 2.5-inch lift kit, adjustable front upper suspension arms, a sport bar, and off-road tires.

The Project Hardbody, as the name suggests, is a nod to Nissan's D21 “Hardbody” truck of the 1980s, which was popular in on- and off-road competitions, particularly in Southern California. The modern take on this classic is an SV grade Frontier with a 3.0-inch lift kit, adjustable upper control arms, body cladding from the current PRO-4X model, and retro wheels wrapped with 33-inch tires.

The third and final concept, the Project Adventure, is easily the wildest of the lot. This truck has been designed with overlanding in mind, and as a result it features a 5.0-inch lift kit, custom wheels with 34-inch mud-terrain tires, a bed rack, and a tent and storage system mounted to the roof. The vehicle also features a custom snorkel made from carbon fiber.
The 2022 Frontier is offered exclusively with a 3.8-liter V-6 that makes 310 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. The most off-road friendly version is the Pro-4X which comes standard with off-road shocks, underbody protection, an electronic locking rear differential, and 17-inch alloys wrapped in Hankook Dynapro AT2 all-terrain tires.

I ask to add my wife to the account, they tell me I have to fill a new paperwork and pay over 200.00 and the process take 2 to 3 weeks. Thats is the only option they have, take it or leave, basically. Also they charge an extra 12.00, if you pay with a credit card. In the future I dont use anymore this company or any Nissan product.

Went 13 months 70000 miles. Nissan transmission needs to be completely replaced and Nissan wont compensate at all. Car has had several recalls already. Im sure transmission will be...eventually. Except they want 4500 to fix. This is ridiculous. Several people I know have had to replace these new style transmissions and I shouldnt have to suffer for this. I have missed 2 weeks of work because they dragged their feet making a decision. They wont fix it.

I have a Nissan Rogue 2013, took it to a dealer in Surrey at 96000 kms because the transmission seemed to be slipping, the service manager took it for a test drive. After coming back about 5 minutes later he told me the transmission was fine and I should just change the transmission oil. I did this and at 113,000 kms the transmission packed it in driving in downtown Vancouver with my daughter in my car. The top speed now reduce to 15 kms an hour. I managed to limp into a parking stall and got the car towed back the dealer. The dealer and the complaint department at Nissan are now telling me, “Too bad for you, this is out of warranty,” which it is! So I am now on the hook for a $4200.00 bill to get it replaced with no goodwill from Nissan or the dealer on a vehicle I bought new off the lot 4 years ago. I know they have had issues in the past with the CVT transmission so you think they might try to help out, I would never buy a Nissan product after this!

I have a 2012 Nissan Juke. There is an issue with my driver side door lock being frozen and unable to get keyless entry into my vehicle. Im sure this issue isnt the worst issue I can have, but its very frustrating that they cant do anything about it even though there are recalls on this vehicle for the exact same reason. I called Nissan Corporate and because my vin and part numbers are not on their recall list, there is nothing they can do. Obviously if Im having the exact same issue as all the recalled cars have, its definitely a more widespread issue than they think. I will never buy another Nissan again. Worst customer service ever.

Some of you may know, but most of you may not, that I purchased a Nissan Altima October of last year. Ive always driven Hondas, but thought Id give something else a try. NEVER AGAIN. Firstly, I purchased from Hoffman Nissan and perhaps that was my first big mistake. The finance department gave me financing and three weeks later I found out I did not qualify for the financing they set me up with. Secondly, I purchased the car contingent upon a rattle in the roof being fixed. The roof still rattles, and Nissan told me that it just is that way. Most recently, three weeks ago, Joe was driving the car home from the gym getting on an on ramp to Route 8 at 25 - 35 miles an hour when the hood flew up and into the windshield, which, thank God did not cause an accident. This caused major damage to both fenders. I first brought the car back to Hoffman Nissan, as there was an active recall for this very thing, but for which my VIN did not qualify. Hoffman told me that it looked like someone left a screwdriver in the hood, and that it was bent. Couldnt it have been bent from FLYING UP ON WHILE IN MOTION?? They then handed me a $2,200 quote to fix it and told me to go through insurance. Long story short, after 2 weeks of conversation with Nissan corporate, they told me today that they will not fix my car and if I wish to have it fixed it will need to go through insurance or out of pocket. I am appalled that Nissan does not want to stand by their manufacturing and fix this issue. Im disgusted with their business practices, and can safely say my experience with both Nissan and Hoffman Nissan in Avon, CT, have been the worst business experiences Ive endured, especially with so much money at stake.
Nissan quietly extended the warranty for the CVT (transmission) from 5 year
Nissan quietly extended the warranty for the CVT (transmission) from 5 years/60,000 miles to 10 years/120,000 because of all the problems people are having, everything from shaking to accelerating at stop signs. Its a genuine safety concern. My wifes 2008 Nissan Rogue has the same problem. We took it in for service and they replaced the transmission. However, theyre charging us $2,700 for a new transfer case, a transfer case thats included in the original powertrain warranty that connects to the transmission. The mechanic at Nissan of Bourne in Massachusetts tried to tell me the problem started with the transfer case and not the transmission. I find this hard to believe since Nissan is obviously having issues with the transmission, or else they wouldnt have had to extend the original warranty. There is no reason why Nissan should be charging customers for their own substandard parts. To replace the transmission but not the transfer case which is part of the transmission, is flat-out dishonest. Now well have to spend money we dont have because Nissan wont live up to its own warranty on parts they know are bad. There shouldve been a recall in the first place for safety reasons, but Nissan is trying to mitigate their losses at the expense of their customers. This is not right and it should be addressed.

About a month ago I noticed the A/C on my Nissan Livina was having issues cooling the cabin and that the temp was not as cold as it used to. I know this because I rarely use the number 3 setting and never use the number 4 fan level of the blower. I had to Despite how high the setting was the air was not as cold as its supposed to be. My wife even noticed that the air was somewhat humid instead of crisp and cool. I figured it just needed cleaning. I was planning to have that done on its next scheduled check up which was only a couple of more weeks.About a week later, I noticed a dark stain on the front passenger carpet. I thought someone must have stepped on an oil stain and accidentally smeared it on the carpet. When I tried to check and see what it was, it was cold to the touch. I immediately removed the carpeting and noticed there was a small pool of water collecting on the floor. I tried to crank up the air conditioner and noticed that water was dripping from under the passenger side dashboard. I tried to look for the leak and had difficulty finding it. Thats when I decided to bring my car to a local A/C shop to have it checked. When I got to shop, I explained what was going on and the repairman assured me that the drainage just needed some cleaning. He said that the procedure was required pumping compressed air through the drainage to clear the blockage. As the repairman was going about the process, he had a difficult time locating the drainage as he was not really familiar with the make of my car. When he finally found where it was, he said that he cant clean it without taking the dash apart. At that point, I became iffy and decided not to push through with the repair, instead, take it to the dealership to get a better assessment of the problem. The following day, I went to Nissan to have it checked. By noon time, I realized my worst fear and they said that the evaporator is leaking and needed to be replaced. They estimated that the repair would entail replacing the evaporator and some other valves. The total damage was about $1,000. The service attendant was kind enough to get me a discount for the parts and labor and got about $100 off. I got my car back the following day and the air conditioner was good as new - it even had a new car smell to it. I love Nissans service and I will not consider looking at any third party repair outfit again. Im going with the professionals, even if the price point is a little bit higher than the rest. Thanks Nissan.

Horrible service and no accurate response to sudden failing brakes and light coming on. My car has been in government storage for over four years. My front driver and passenger side window rolls down but not up, the brake light comes on, and a grinding metal to metal sound is made, and sounds and feels like a spring is loose with no breaking control. Almost ran into a car the other day. I am in the military, this would not be good and this does not appear right. Next time it happens, will be taking it on base to see what the issue is. What I noticed is if you put the car in park, turn it off and restart it, it resets itself as if nothing ever happened. So, my plan is the next time it happens, to not reset it, record it, and drive all the way to the base to have them look at it, this could possibly if not, be a legal issue since the dealerships seem to think there is no issue and dont see a problem. Standby...for my next comments.
Nissan Rouge - Steering wheel vibration that started 7 months after purchas
Nissan Rouge - Steering wheel vibration that started 7 months after purchase. The steering wheel vibration has gone from mild to moderate/heavy in the last month. Changing to sport mode or turning off the overdrive helps a lot, and even sometimes stops the vibration for a while even after returning to the default driving mode. The vibration can be felt most of the time while accelerating but is worse at and above 35 mph while maintaining a steady speed. However I have noted the vibration to be moderate/heavy at all speeds. At times when driving a distance, the vibration will actually make your hands go numb and can also be felt in the gas pedal. My other concern is on two separate occasions while accelerating to enter the interstate while in sport mode, the vehicle hung in a lower gear until the RPM was extremely high and when I let off the gas it was almost like putting the brakes on as the vehicle slowed to the speed of the gear its stuck in, creating a very dangerous situation in traffic. Nissan refuses to acknowledge the problem and service people say They all do that.

My husband and I bought a new Frontier with 11 miles. Before making the 1st payment the head gasket blew. Truck sitting in a lot in another state while they wait for parts, and scratching their heads trying to figure how that could happen. Of course we were given a free rental for as long as needed, but we have to return to California and leave the truck in Nevada. Nissan Reno have been very nice to us. I think they were worried about legal recourse which is our next step. Someone noticed a oil spot and asked what is that. Took it immediately to the dealer. Four days later they still do not know how what happened.

First time and last leasing from Nissan this 2018 Nissan Rogue SL.! At 5,000 miles had front end whining. Took to dealer. They said nothing wrong.? I would not leave without them looking further into this noise. Well they found a faulty bearing and replaced it. I asked for a wheel alignment also to be done. I thought they did this.? But at 10,000 miles I had wheel pulling and shaking in the front of the car. Took to same dealer for service but was told because it needed a wheel alignment it was my fault so I asked for a inspection that I paid for. They found a faulty control arm and strut on same side as the replaced bearing.! Well they said it was my fault that I did something to cause this and would not fix it unless I paid for the repairs.! This is totally a terrible company and cars also.!I contacted corporate and worse treatment said my fault so, “We can’t help you.!” It is caused by not having a wheel alignment that I asked for at the prior bearing replacement.? So I am a victim of Nissan North America that makes you think you are getting a great deal on a lease car.! Then when you have a true problem that you did not cause they throw you under the”BUS”!!! They suck people in by giving them a lot of “Bells and Whistles” standard on the cars and not caring about anyone’s safety just making their pockets DEEPER!!!Stay away from these dealers and cars nothing but trouble for the consumer while they take no responsibility at all after you sign and leave the dealership.!! Where is their warranty on a new vehicle.? This is proof that there is none.! So my car if driven could cause a serious accident and possible near death to any passengers or others on the road!!! I have to pay for all the repairs before I can drive it again.!!! Buyers Beware.!!!!

Nissan of Duarte - I brought in my car to get my USB port checked and strange noises coming from under the car. When I went to pick up my car, I found a long crack in the windshield. I left the car for a week to get the windshield replaced. When I picked up my car the following week, I was really disappointed. There was a scratch on the windshield by the drivers side. The glass is not OEM glass, much cheaper glass. When I play the radio, the sounds dont resonate as well as before. The seals around the windshield dont look like as good as it should be. The glass looked very dirty/dusty like it was an old windshield lying around. They did some things they believed would make the strange sounds go away, like tightened the emergency brakes and tightened the steering wheel. I absolutely dont like the changes and plus, the strange sound didnt go away. Worst yet, I found out that my seat is broken. It was not broken when I left my car for the windshield replacement. Overall, my experience has been horrible with Nissan and Nissan cars.

I picked up my car on Nov 22 on Dec 1 display not functioning. Brought to dealer on Dec 3 said need new screen. On Dec 5 called saying adjusted is what is needed. Dec 8 bring in to let them do adjustment. Dec 9 display/screen does not work again. Dec 13 called to follow up, do not know when the dealer will fix this problem. Big headache, maybe I got a lemon.

The Nissan was a smooth ride and engine was quiet but there were other problems that made the car very weak although the price was very good. Had so many problems that I traded in car for another and service was not that great with replacement parts needed often and the same problem kept occurring which made me question whether car make was viable. There were many problems with fuel pump that had to be replaced several times and gas tank was very small so had to fill up frequently and originally car just stalled in the middle of the road when driving due to malfunctioned fuel pump which was very dangerous.

******************************************************************************************************** Published on other sites: https://www.yelp.com/biz/nissan-of-queens-service-ozone-park ********************************************************************************************************I have been taking my 2014 Platinum pathfinder since August 2017 for issues with the vehicle jerking and giving trouble to start. I was told the pulley kit needed to be changed. The following week the suv would not turn on,once it was on the engine light came on. I took the truck to Nissan of Queens , left the truck there for 2 weeks till the transmission came in. When i got my vehicle back i saw my push bar was dented on the passenger side. I took the vehicle back on Monday because it was picked it up while they were closing up so rushing it was not noticed until i got home. The manager Ravi said they were not responsible for the dent. ( My vehicle is always parked in a private driveway and did not have any dents on it) . I called another manager there Sando about 6 times left messages till now i never got a call back. I took my truck back the following week Sept 6th for jerking issues and i saw now they take pictures of each vehicle that goes in for service. They told me they cannot find anything wrong so i contacted consumer affairs. After calling them 3 times i finally got an appt for 10/4/17 . I met with the consumer affairs and as i sat down with him he told me he was only there to discuss the truck. I then realized that the manager Ravi had briefed him on the dent on my truck which occurred on Nissan premises. He told me he would take the truck for a test drive and will let me know what the issues are once he returned. He came back and said he did not experience any issues and he couldnt do anything. I explained to him i spent over $50 K(paid off in 14 mths) on this truck which i only have 3 years now and i was having all the same issues as before. He then told me he would check the fluids after 45 mins he came back and said he found debris in the pan and he would need to order a new transmission. They gave me back my truck 10/4/17 with all the same issues. I left numerous messages for consumer affairs but have not gotten a call back as to when my transmission will be replaced. Now 10/17/17 my daughter got into a accident because when coming to a stop the truck started jerking and hit the vehicle in front of her. I left another message for consumer affairs and awaiting a call back. I am still driving a faulty vehicle and a accident occurred because the the cvt transmission jerking. This will be the 3 rd transmission in 3 mths. Nissan should not be selling vehicles with faulty transmission.

I have had three leased vehicles with NMAC. I am now told that the $500 forgiveness on body damage wont be given because I wont lease again. I also found out that they are charging me $395.00 to return the car (disposition fee). I believe this is not moral or ethical. Attached is my return inspection.

My 2015 Nissan NV200 Van just hit 105k miles and transmission failed. I go to the dealership and thats when I find out how Nissan has a CVT transmission issue. I hear theres class action lawsuits and all. Well little did I know when I purchased. So the dealership said it will cost me $4300 to replace the transmission so I called Nissan Corporation Consumer Affairs and they said Im out of luck. They only warranty 100k miles Im 5000 miles over. What a piece of garbage company that puts out a bad product. No one expects a transmission to fail right around the 100k miles mark. That is unacceptable. Im like can you all cover some of the repairs but now they only care about their bottom line smh.

Having owned Lexuses for years, I recently purchased a New 2013 Nissan Altima S, with 18 miles on it for my daughter to take to college. She drove the car home when the MIL light went on. I notified Carriage Nissan in Gainesville Georgia and was told it must be a loose gas cap. I was told to continue to drive the car. After 1 week and 700 miles, I took the car in for service and was told I need a new transmission.I contacted Nissan Consumer affairs and stated my displeasure and asked specifically that the car be replaced. After about 15 days, I was notified by Nissan that they would extend the car warranty to 8 years/120k miles with a gold preferred package and Oil/ Gas/Tire rotation service package for 2 years. It was more or less a take it or leave it proposition. I took the package and will pay $50 to transfer it to a new owner since I will be putting the car up for sale.I will never recommend or purchase another Nissan product again

Way too long to explain it all. Took car in for oil change, was told there was a recall on CVT trans, they reprogrammed it. They made the trans skip. Brought it back, they said trans failed, then called 30 minutes later and said, “Pick it up. We do not know whats wrong with it and have no answers.” Was told to call in MONTH. Talked to EVERYBODY... no answers. No one knows. Then on my own took it to another Nissan. Was told NUMEROUS stories. Right now I am at 38 days. I am writing a book about my horrible experience. Not only THEY wrecked the trans but the treatment was horrible. I cannot include the details as there are too many. Anyone would be a fool to deal with these guys. My book will be out soon.

Amazing when you trust in a brand new car and a reputable name. 3 months ago, we purchased a brand new Nissan Rogue loaded with all the goodies. Then what we thought was a minor Bluetooth/phone problem began. When the person on the other end of the phone talks to the driver (or synced passenger) a nice high pitched whine comes across the phone. This is not heard by the driver connected to the Rogue, this is heard by everyone talking to the driver. A very annoying problem that you would think the dealer and manufacturer would repair or replace. Not, not, not. The normal answers by the dealer - manufacturers problem so start a case. Started a case and Nissan denies the case.Everyone says this has happened before and the engineers are hard at work. WOW So my advice to consumers is to be careful with purchasing a NISSAN vehicle and if you do, check out the hands free phone from both ends. If you hear a high pitched whine - run away. Very sad that this company does not stand behind their products. +$30,000 NEW CAR WITH NO SUPPORT!!!

I own a Nissan Altima 2008. Based on the manufacturer maintenance the CVT fluids needs to be replaced every 30000 miles. During the first 4 years I did that myself from the drain plug that is designed in the fluid pan. After 96000 miles the CVT transmission failed, with my extended warranty I took the car to the Nissan dealership who replaced the CVT transmission. Now after 30000 MILES I TRIED TO CHANGE THE CVT TRANSMISSION fluid, I found out that the transmission they installed does not have the drain plug. I went back to the dealership and they refused to help. I called Nissan customer service filed a claim and the answer I got - Nissan made very few transmission with no drain plug, and I should go to the dealership for the oil change. They also refused to pay for that modification. So now I got an experimental CVT transmission, with a costly $250 oil change bill that Nissan refuse to fix or pay for their mistake. Unbelievable. On top of that I made more than 15 CALLS TO GET THROUGH.

I have a 2008 Pathfinder. A few weeks ago the check engine light came on and the fuel gauge stopped working. I checked the web and found a recall from Nissan for 2008 pathfinder that had an issue where the check engine light came on and the fuel gauge stopped working. Perfect I thought so I took it to the dealership. They informed me that even though it was the exact same part for the same make, model and year, my VIN was not covered. So they will not cover the cost to fix. I have owned 3 Nissans and was planning on purchasing another next year. Now that I see that Nissan cares more about $400 than it does about this safety of their owners. I will never purchase a Nissan again. I think they are cheap and dishonest.

I purchased a 2012 Nissan Sentra 2 years ago and I didnt mind the high interest rate and payments because I thought Nissan made reliable vehicles. WRONG. My transmission now needs to be replaced at 85k miles! Not okay! Id chalk it up to bad luck if it were just me having this issue but Ive found countless reviews complaining of the same issue with the CVT transmissions in all Nissan models. Nissan doubled the warranty on the older models due to a lawsuit for their cheap faulty transmission, you think theyd resolve the issue but NOPE! The repairs are going to cost me $3400 and Nissan refuses to help. Awful cars and awful service. If its not too late, do NOT buy Nissan. Look into Hondas or Toyotas. Ill never buy another Nissan again.

2011 Nissan Juke: So far I have had to turn my car in for 2 recalls. One was the engine and the second was the timing belt. The second time they had to fix my car. They told me they would be keeping it for 4-5 days! This wouldnt be a problem if they would give me a loaner car. However, they dont give out loaners unless you have 70,000 miles or less on your car. What? Why? My car only has 80,000. The only reason my car is in the shop is because of their faulty manufacturing and recall. The Town Center Nissan in Kennesaw, GA serviceman said I would have to call Nissan headquarters in order to get the rule overruled. OK... whatever.I call them and then it takes a day for them to get back to me to say they refuse to help me because I didnt buy the extended service warranty. Well, if I would have known what a piece of crap car and company I was buying from (I wouldnt have made the purchase) I would have bought the warranty. I asked kindly for them to make an exception because I am a good customer AND I am right at the line. Still they refused and had no other response except to say, You didnt buy the extended service warranty. What are you trying to do Nissan? NO Customer Service? Teach me a lesson about buying extended service warranties?! Its not enough to be a customer who spent 18,000 on your faulty product?! This will be the LAST Nissan I own.

I purchased a vehicle because I thought it was a sound economical choice and a practical car comparable in functionality to a Toyota or Honda. I was absolutely wrong. Not only do things begin to break and fall apart pre-maturely, but basic maintenance is almost impossible due to the poor construction and parts used on the vehicle. No one, including dealerships carry the parts for this 2012 Nissan Versa. Theres no such thing as being able to buy a new battery from AAA because they wont have it, I cant get the transmission fluid changed because Jiffy Lube cant get to it, I cant get my brakes changed at Firestone because they dont have the random, cheap parts the Versa requires. I didnt buy a car in this price point to be forced to take it to a Nissan dealership for maintenance and have them take a full day or longer to fiddle around with no better information or resources than the next auto mechanics shop.Of course Nissan Corporate heard from me and took no interest in my problems with their product. I just wished they cared more. I put my toddler in that car knowing its not the safest but forced to continue using it until Im presented with an opportunity to be rid of it. I feel like I got duped by Nissans misleading marketing and branding campaign that they are reliable vehicles. It would be nice if Nissan had more integrity. Will never purchase another Nissan or refer them to someone shopping for a car.

Nissan consumer affairs, its a joke. I contacted them 6 months after buying a brand new Nissan Rogue. That 1st week my car started having problems. I took it to Nissans service multiple times. They did not record anything in their system and told me the car was fine. My passenger air bag light stays on at all times and a noise on the drivers strut (wheel) every time you take a right turn. So a manager drove the car, said everything was okay. So again they sent me home worried. A week later again I take the car to service, they said the car was fine. Then in September 2013 I took it again to Nissan service. They again said nothing is wrong. I asked for a manager, he again said nothing wrong with the car. So I let it go until I saw other cars (Rogue 2013s) and not one had the issue that I have. So in December I took it again to service. They again said nothing wrong, this time I spoke with a female manager name ** in Cherry Hill, NJ. Then she decided to go in the back to check the car with me and saw what was going on. She agreed that the car was not right, she kept the car in service and gave me a rental. The car stayed in service for over a month because they could not detect any issues, then they get A professional mechanic and he replaced both front struts and the sensor of the air bag. It was okay for 3 hrs then the same thing happened again. I called them and told them the same issue is happening again. They kept the car again and they still couldnt find the problem. So they gave up, I guess, and told me again nothing wrong. I contacted consumer affairs and they pretty much did nothing. They told me if I didnt want to drive the car to the service and get it towed, I was going to be responsible for the fees. I fear driving my new car. How great is that??? So I contacted lemon law. They told lemon law that they wanted to offer me $2000 for the inconvenience. HELL NO I dont want money I was to feel same in my car. Thats why I bought a new car so I didnt have to drive back and forth to the car service.

Myself and a few family members of mine have driven nothing but Nissans for the past several years. My moms first Nissan was an 01 Altima. She drove it for 5 years and 230k miles with nary an issue. Her next vehicle was an 06 Sentra. Another five years, another 230k miles with no issues. Her current vehicle is a 2011 Sentra that has 215k miles. The only major repair has been the crank sensor. She had such good luck with Nissans I decided to purchase a used Versa Hatchback. It had 26k on it when the ex and I purchased it. I commuted with it for three years and traded it in at 140k miles (due to personal issues) with no issues.I drove a 13 Versa for a year until I was rear ended and it was totaled by a drunk driver. I accrued 52k miles on it with no troubles. After that I got a 14 Sentra 6 SPD. I drove it for a year and accrued 45k miles on it with no issues. I found myself needing a truck so I traded it in for a Frontier. Ive had it for two months and 8k miles and am extremely happy with it. I plan on keeping it for a long time. The point is you will occasionally get the troubled anomaly, but all in all Nissan makes a good product.

I like it. Very roomy, large trunk area, sits high up off the road, good gas mileage, fashionable interior, lots of leg room, lots of cup holders and places to charge cell phones. I also like the in-car garage opener, Bluetooth, hands-free phone, back up camera, navigation, keyless start, heated seats, front camera, and air in the back seat. However, I would change the rear door feature to include a foot response, alarm when seatbelt is not fastened, wide area for camera to cover, and a smaller window visor for my Hum to be attached to.

With 38,215 I was told this weekend that I would have to replace the blower motor and resister. Estimated cost of parts and installation $1,100.00. This is the third time for this problem. First two times were under warranty. So other than the inconvenience, I had it repaired as instructed. Now that I have had the car for 6 years, it has happened a third time and the local dealers says it will cost $1,100.00 which is over 8.0% of what I paid for the car new.I filed a complaint with Nissan and have been given the customer service shuffle. Nissan has repeatedly refused to call at the time I have requested. I have provided the title to the car, the bill of sale, the insurance policy information, etc, etc, etc.Even requesting four different times that Nissan call between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday, I received a call this morning at 9:25 AM. The polite young man indicated he had received prior e-mail (everyone requesting the 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM time). While his English was very good, he clearly had not read the e-mail he said he had (could be from India).I know this is one of Nissans cheapest cars, but I have owned Sentras (before Versa) but never had this many problems with something as simple as a fan switch (resister). I will never buy another Nissan and will buy American in the future. If Japan is going to make cars as bad as the America cars, I might as well buy American. At least the parts are cheaper.

I recently purchased a car from a Nissan Dealer and there was no mention about returning the car if you were not satisfied. I emailed the salesman who practically forced me to sign the deal and he has yet to respond. I was satisfied with the car until night time came and realized how important the extra features would have been. There are no power windows, no power locks, no light on the ignition keyhole, not even a mirror on the sun visor. Im basically paying for a 2015 glorified golf cart for the next 6 years. Im not saying I want to walk away completely from the deal because I know how much these clowns value their commission, but Id like to purchase a better car for the money.

The dashboard started melting earlier this year and has been getting worse. The glare is blinding in the sunlight and other times an inconvenience. The transmission whines after 2 hours of driving in +80 degrees weather. Terrible car all in all, made by a company that wont stand behind their product. Definitely the last Nissan I am going to buy.
So, I just came back from the military and I wanted to buy a brand new car
So, I just came back from the military and I wanted to buy a brand new car from Nissan of Queens. I went to the dealer and inquire about buying the selected car that I wanted to purchase for cheap. I was disappointed with the customer service because I didnt get to get my military discount that should have been applied at the time of my purchase. I feel that if someone is in the military and being a woman, we shouldnt be taken for advantage due to the lack of experience or knowledge that entails in purchasing the vehicle. I am still continuing to fight this issue because it is ridiculous that I have to still pay off my car which the total I had to pay for my vehicle was almost 26,500. I still have to pay off my car and I do not think it is fair. The car dealer that sold me the car was only concerned about the commission that he is putting inside his pockets. I wish that I have never purchase my car from him, because he ripped me off. All I wanted to do was purchase my car and serve my country to help others and in return I was never helped. It is very sad to see that younger folks in the retail industry never discuss things of importance to someone like myself that went into the dealership to purchase a vehicle by myself.

I purchased my 2015 Nissan Murano June 2015 because my family and I love the new body design, overall performance is nice, I wished I did not have to send a bad review. My problem is with the tires installed on this vehicle by Continental Tire, I first started noticing the problem around 25k miles; I noticed cracks and pieces of rubber are coming off tires. At 26,000 I contact Nissan customer service and Continental Tire with no success. This experience is leaving a bad taste of customer satisfaction by Nissan USA for next time I decide to buy another new vehicle. I do not think is fair that buying a $40k vehicle should need new tires before the 50 to 60k miles. I took my vehicle in to Mossy Nissan in Houston the dealership I purchased from, and I been told that Nissan denied any warranty on tires. I am in the auto service industry and I know the importance of maintaining ones vehicle so I rotate the tires twice year. When I first notice the problem I check the alignment thinking that it may be alignment issue but was not the case; in fact my front end tech explained that a new vehicle should not need an alignment unless it had been on an accident or in abused driving. Our familys vehicle is used for pleasure weekend driving, and week wife works 5 minutes from home; so most of regular city driving about 7,500 miles per year, other highway miles 3 to 4 trips to the Valley in the last 3 years.

This car is unreliable, has transmission, and clutch problems. A 2017 with 67000 miles on it. They offered 2000 for it as a trade in... 5000 if were fixed it. DONT HOLD ANY VALUE! I have platinum warranty on it and still paying 700 for them to fix it.

My SUV was diagnosed with a manufacturing defective transmission and now has issues with the transmission cooler pipes splitting causing cross contamination between the radiator coolant & transmission fluid. Which resulted in a failure to the automatic transmission. The cross contamination had to have a new transmission, transmission cooler hoses & radiator replaced. I called Nissan Corp and they are refusing to take responsibility. I told them that they are putting families in a dangerous situation. I also explained to them when I purchased my vehicle they were well aware of the situation but concealed that information from me and I let them know that I was pregnant at the time with our 4th child and needed the 3rd row thats why we traded, so I did not appreciate that information being concealed from me and putting my children in a unsafe vehicle. Nissan has caused me to almost wreck 3 times. This has caused so much stress on me and my family. I have reached out to Nissan Corp several times with they refused to fix it or return it and give me my money back. And also I delivered my baby 10 days later after I purchased the Pathfinder and the Pathfinder had about 70,000 miles on it already so the transmission could had easily went out at any time since it had known problems that were concealed from me and caused a very dangerous situation for me and my baby because when I bought the vehicle they concealed the information knowing that it could happen at any time and refused to let me know even though my husband and I both asked if anything was wrong with the vehicle and they told us no they check the vehicles before they sell them by their mechanics. Something needs to be done before someone gets killed. My Pathfinder only has 123,000 miles on it.

After nine hours at dealership, we got a new car home with no oil and no second key! It was 4 trips again back to dealership to finally get car proper and the key. Then, the finance dept has given me hassle 4 months in a row - promising change in due date every month, then not! I was told by the Finance dept. to call Nissan headquarters to file a complaint so we could trade in the car for another Nissan at a different dealer. It took 3 weeks for them to respond to me! We had to call daily and leave messages to finally get someone to tell us, too bad, sorry cant help you!

I am really disappointed with AV Nissan. I purchased a Brand New Vehicle. It was a, too good to be true offer when purchasing my car. The problem started when my passenger side door wouldnt fully close unless you slammed the door close. I took it in for service, 3 days after purchasing the vehicle. The service Rep came out and told me just slam the door. Its not a big issue. Me being me I thought small issue. What the heck, I let that slide. A year after having the car, I took it in for service because the car was giving me problems. Service inspected my car and said it was the transmission. Okay... Luckily it was still under warranty so they repaired the problem. What Im concerned is, how does a brand new vehicle, need a new transmission after a year. Anyway, my vehicle has been a headache! I mean problem after problem and here I am again with my vehicle that only has 67,000 miles needing a new transmission.I found it a little skeptical, so I took it to universal city Nissan. They couldnt find nothing wrong with my vehicle. The codes that AV Nissan claimed were due to a bad transmission were not coming up. They called AV Nissan to make sure the paper work that was given to me was correct. They said they do not want to change the transmission and charge me because if the problem is not the transmission, well there goes my money. I am very upset. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs. I have a case open with them. Nissan consumer affairs agent state they have been trying to reach AV Nissan service manager and there has been no answer since March 07, 2019.Kiana the Nissan consumer affairs agent called me back. She was rude, pretty much told me there was nothing they can do! Kiana did state she’s no mechanic specialist but that universal city Nissan found nothing wrong with the car so to take it back to AV Nissan. Why would I want to take it back to the place I bought the messed up car. I would suggest everyone to take your business with another dealership. Save yourselves the headache! Please read all reviews before making a decision on buying a Car through Nissan.
Ownership of a Nissan is synonymous with dissatisfaction. On March 25, 2019
Ownership of a Nissan is synonymous with dissatisfaction. On March 25, 2019, I purchased a new Nissan Frontier from Jenkins Nissan, Leesburg, FL. After 30 months of ownership and only 14,058 miles, it had an obvious manufacturing defect. Namely, the paint started peeling off at nearly every weld spots on the fenders and the bed rail of the vehicle. They did determine that this is a “warranty issue.” On August 11, 2021, Jenkins Nissan Leesburg, Florida service personnel told me the peeling was indeed caused by the weld spots, but they did nothing except tell me to take the Nissan Frontier to Reed Nissan Clermont, Florida because they (Jenkins Nissan) didnt have a body shop. I contacted Nissan Customer Services on August 15, 2021 to determine where I should take the vehicle to fix the manufacturing defect. On August 24, 2021, I was finally contacted by *** from Nissan Customer Services and she told me to take it to any Nissan Dealer to file the report to the Warranty Department for this region. On August 31, 2021, I had an appointment with Reed Nissan Clermont, Florida. Reed Nissan Clermont sent me to Reed Nissan Orlando because they didnt have a body shop either. On September 7, 2021, I had an appointment with Reed Nissan Orlando, Florida. They inspected my car, took pictures and told me that they were filing a report and that I would hear something that day, fact is their words were, you should hear something within an hour. That hear something within an hour comment has now turned into several weeks. Finally on their advice on October 7, 2021, I took my Nissan Frontier to Reed Nissan Orlando to get it repaired. Only, that didn’t happen because Reed Nissan failed to file the claim. After much pressure from me, Reed Nissan filed the report. Finally, on October 29, 2021 the Nissan Frontier was repaired. It took 79 (seventy nine) days from the time of my complaint to get the vehicle fixed., I believe the Nissan Frontier is a very competitive vehicle but the three Nissan dealer’s LACK knowledge of filing a warranty issue claim is unacceptable. Had this been an engine failure or a transmission failure, I would have been without the vehicle for 79 days or 11 days shy of three months.

I just bought my Nissan Titan 2 weeks ago. It came off the delivery truck the day before I bought it. Well the steering wheel was on sideways, the bumpers were cockeyed, and the back window leaked heavily. Made 8 different trips to dealership, still not correct.
I purchased a New 2016 Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it on December 13, 2017
I purchased a New 2016 Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it on December 13, 2017 from Clay Cooley Nissan in Irving Tx, 3-4 months into the purchase I start having an issue. While driving the O/D light comes on by itself, the RPMs rise, the car revs high and drives rough. I have read it is a possible transmission or computer problem. I have taken the car to the original dealership of purchase and another one to get checked out. They both claim they have driven the car, hooked it up to their machines and dont see the error. But as soon as I get the car back the issue repeats itself. They told me I need to bring the car to them when it happens which is hard because it happens at random on my way to work, school, and other daily activities. The dealerships are either too far to make it or outside of normal business hours.I complained and reached the sales manager J **. He prompted me to come down and they would trade me out of the vehicle into a new one and keep my payments the same! A complete LIE, I get there and they pump me up, “This is going to be painless. We will get you in & out,” and start asking me for a money for a down payment and try and put me in an Altima which is not what I purchased originally. After getting upset, I leave in the same messed up car. NO HELP. Just a full tank of gas and one of the managers says, “Well the car still drives so just keep driving it and when the error happens switch the gear. Itll go off.” So he wants me to pay for a car that is clearly giving me trouble and just drive it and jerk it around and keep rolling! Then says drop it off at service when I just picked the car up. How many times do I have to leave the car and be without a car to drive? I am disgusted and disappointed by the service I have received. This was my first time treating myself to a NEW car and it was a complete mistake. I hate Nissan. The car still has the issue, nothing resolved.
It has got a worst service centers. They never take care of the car at all.
It has got a worst service centers. They never take care of the car at all... The cost is soo much. They never work for that.. Nissan has got good cars but a worst service centers.. They dont have any responsibility at all... They are worst.

I am the unproud owner of a 2013 Nissan Juke. This is my 4th vehicle and I have never experienced such issues out of a vehicle previously. First, I will say the vehicle doesnt even have 150,000 miles and but all issues (except the newest one) were all before hitting 100,000 miles. To start, I have gone through three cylinder replacements and thought the transmission was going to have to be replaced (luckily that bullet has been dodged so far). I believe all replacements were for misfires. These were all out of pocket and hundreds of dollars each time. Now my vehicle is sitting in a repair shop because the parts of the undercarriage are starting to rust. The best part is I went to get an inspection sticker and as the man turned my steering wheel, the ball bearing snapped in half so it cannot be driven. Obviously, I didnt pass the inspection. The mechanic said Im lucky that I didnt make a sharp turn getting my vehicle there or it couldve resulted in myself or someone else being badly hurt. This was the result of the rusting undercarriage. Do yourself a favor and run as far away from these vehicles as you can. Otherwise, keep thousands of dollars aside for unexpected and ongoing repairs.

We purchased a brand new 2015 Nissan Rogue in September of this year and were experiencing radio issues from the day we left the dealer lot. It came in very static sounding and we thought maybe we were just in an area with poor reception. As we continued to drive the problem continued in various areas. The sound is so bad that we dont even use the radio. Were forced to use the free XM subscription that is almost expired or the CD player. We brought our car into the dealer of purchase and they claimed to have fixed the issue but we still had the same problem. Being that the dealer we purchased from was far from our home, we took it to another dealer. It has been back twice since then and they have not been able to fix it saying that Nissan needs to release a software update and until they do that the problem cannot be fixed. We were given Nissans number to follow up with them and today (11/19/15) I received a call with the regional consumer affairs representative pretty much telling me that they dont have a solution. I asked her what the timeframe is and if they would offer any other answer besides others have been complaining of the same issue and theyre working on it but she kept repeating the same thing. No timeframe, no resolution, theyre working on it. I even asked if they would cover the satellite radio until the software update comes out to fix the problem and she said they would not. So now if I want to listen to anything besides a CD, Id have to take out more money to pay for the subscription. I completely understand that this isnt a mechanical or safety issue but when consumers are spending thousands of dollars on a brand new item that is warranted to work in a specific manner and the company is not standing behind their customer service, this is absolutely outrageous. I have never heard of something like this before. I paid for a brand new, fully functioning car and that is not what I received. Nissan should be truly ashamed at themselves for selling products like this and not even offering a resolution in the meantime. Horrible quality control, horrible customer service. I will definitely think twice before purchasing another Nissan specifically due to their poor customer service.

Brought 2013 Altima in for OCS recall in 2016. After performing reprogram per recall OCS failed again. They charged me $502.69 to fix the OCS problem. The recall was supposed to address. Even after charging me and making the repair the OCS is STILL broken. Contacted Nissan and was told a supervisor would get back to me the next day over a week later and the supervisor still has not gotten in touch with me. Today the first person Id contacted told me they wouldnt help me. NHTSA has record of nearly 8,000 similar complaints.

My wife just had an accident today, 31 Jan 2012. It was a front end collision with her 2003 Nissan Sentra. She rear ended someone when she was driving 50 mph in a 55 mph zone. The braked car moved 75ft before colliding the driver side front end into the truck in front of her. The truck received little damage; however, her Nissan was crushed in the entire drivers side front half. The airbag did not deploy, and she stated the wheels would not turn to avoid the truck in front when she was braking. I took pictures and a video of the car and the entire scene. The police officer stated it was strange the air bag did not deploy, it should have. We just had her car serviced at the local Nissan dealership a couple months prior. I am wondering why the wheels locked when braking and why the airbag did not deploy. The car is totaled.

Purchased new 2017 Altima July transmission had a loose bolt repaired. Two months later again transmission had to be replaced, still under warranty which will expire in another 3 thousand miles. Nissan will not replace or refinance. No explanation given - just no. I requested for them to extend warranty no response. Will never purchase another Nissan again... For $611.00 per month never again. Next car will be a Honda. Always good car!!!

Ive been a customer of Nissan since August 2018. Ive purchased my first brand new car on July of 2018 through Fairfax Browns Nissan. Since then, Ive had multiple incidents with my car having mechanical issues. First, I had issues with my radio/audio not working, more specifically, my car not connecting to my phone. This has been going on since 2018 and Ive reported it multiple times to the Nissan dealership but they failed to fix the issues. Initially, I was told that I needed to replace some parts with the USB but even after, it never got fixed. Second, my car stopped working (it would not turn on with the start/push engine starter). When I called Nissan, they instructed me to put the key close to the push/start starter and try to start the car. Initially, it did not work so I ended up getting my car towed from my employers parking garage which I ended up paying out of my own pocket. This initial problem happened late at night so I could not get in contact with Nissan. I called the Nissan during business hours, and was told it had something to do with the battery and they stated they would change the battery of the keys. After taking the time off work to go to Nissan to fix the problem, they finally changed the battery of my keys.Few days after, my car kept having the same issues. After talking to multiple mechanics and doing some research, I was told about some recalls on my car. The next day, I ended up calling Nissan again, and notified them about the recalls and the issues. I was told that they would look into it. During this whole time, I had to use a rental lended by Nissan. After about a week, Nissan told me that there was no issue and they asked me to pick up my car which I did. While I was at the shop, trying to start my car, my car stopped working again and would not start. I was furious at this point because I had to take off work AGAIN to get my car fixed. I drove the rental car again and went back home. I called Nissan the next day to check on the status of my car and asked what the issue was and why they didnt fix the issue. Nissan responded by saying we didnt fix the issue because the problem didnt occur while the car was in the shop. (After I told them about the recalls that needed to be fixed). After another week of not having my car, I finally got a call asking to pick up my vehicle from Nissan. I was told they fixed all the problems and my car should be working fine. On my way back home after picking up my car, it started having another issue. My car started making a loud beeping noise and had a big warning light on the screen. I immediately called Nissan again and told them about the issue and was told to turn around and bring the car back... Being frustrated and angry, I asked what was the issue and they said, the mechanic has to look at the issue and try to figure out what was wrong with it. After, I was told it had something to do with the sensor (I found this really weird because I never had this problem.). They ended up giving me another rental car and told me it would take about another week because they would have to order the parts and replace the problem. After reaching out to multiple Nissan customers, I was told that I could have possibly been sold a Lemon Car with multiple issues. With my warranty almost running out and not getting help from the service department and the sales department, I was told to contact the Nissans corporate office to file a complaint. Initially, I decided to change from Honda to Nissan because I really liked the looks of Nissan vehicles and was told by some people about their great experiences with customer service.Unfortunately, for me, I had a terrible and awful experience with Nissan customer service and felt like I was getting taken advantage of because the sales department kept calling me to come in for better deals (which never happened). They continuously kept convincing me to lease a brand new car with higher monthly payments to avoid future issues after Ive already made around $6000 of payments on my new car which already depreciated a lot in value. After talking to the corporate office, they basically told me according to the “Lemon Law”, they can’t do anything for me so now I’m stuck with a messed up brand new car. DONT EVER BUY A NISSAN! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

I purchased Nissan Murano from West Hills Nissan 2 years ago. Had no problem with them, treated me fairly, and I liked the car. Few weeks ago received a brochure from West Hills, offering me new car with lower monthly payment, so I went there, showed me Nissan Maxima and asking me $525 a month to lease. Told them it is expensive and they said ok. Few days later received a call from Kenny ** Nissan in Cranberry, PA and offering me a good deal. Told them the story about West Hills that I could not afford it, was told not to worry and they have many cars in their lot and I could get a deal. Called me few more times, so I agreed to go and see what kind of deal they got. I went with my son and we got there before noon. That was my biggest mistake to go there. 1st said $509 but I told them it is too high for me. I swear I tried to leave many times but they were keep asking me to wait to see what they can do for me. I was tired, my son was tired, but they didnt let us leave. It was late evening and we were still asked to stay. They had my Murano and because Murano was in excellent condition, they wanted to trade. By late evening the manager took me to Maxima in the showroom and reach out his hand to shake my hand and said he made mistake that $509 was for different color not for black one and asked me to shake his hand for $528 and he started shaking my hand. It is hard to believe but that is exactly what happened. They knew what type people we are, obviously not a smart one, who would pay $528 for Maxima for 3 years lease. They treated us like an idiot, took us to a room and said you have won something and asked us to pick a card from the board hanging on the wall to get our prize. He was one of the managers and congratulated us for winning the prize. He said you have to pay $35 or something similar to get an AAA insurance for road assistance. Told him I have road assistance included in my own Insurance. He got mad and for 10 minutes was pushing for me to sign up. Asked him about the car, said he does not know much about that car, that he was new, but still was asking for AAA to be added to my monthly lease payment. I had to force myself to leave that room. I asked almost everybody in there about some future in the car, they just wanted me to leave. They got their deal and I was not worth any more. I told them I had worth of $150 of dash cam accessories in the car that either let me take the car to outside shop to remove it or they have to do it for me. Was told to not worry they will remove it and I can come back to pick it up. The next day went back gave them the other key for Murano, but was told Murano was not there and they will call me. Waited 2 weeks and called the dealer was told they sold the Murano. I told the salesman that I am not happy and I am going to make a complaint, said he will call me back. 2 days later I called him myself said he talked to General Manager and they dont want unhappy customer so they offered 2 free oil changes. I just hung up on him. I dont know how many people were ripped off by these people, but its time to investigate their unhealthy business. I also contacted Nissan USA before make my case to public. I got a call from a very angry lady from NISSAN USA that kept telling I have to deal with the dealer.

I own three Nissan, two rouge and a Moreno 2011and 2012 and three Infiniti. I recently trade in my other two Nissan rouge and Moreno for two Honda civic because I dont trust Nissan that is last year. I still have one rouge that is payoff. My son love the car, he dont let me sell this one so I keep it. Last week the car wont shift. I take to Nissan dealer, they told me need to replace a piece of part and cost me $618 - of course Im not OK. I told the guy my car 2011 and only have 24,586 miles on it, why happen so fast? Well after he explain everything to me, I paid and got it fix. My three Infiniti is a lease but I do not plan to lease another Inifniti or buy another Nissan.

Sucks and will never buy another Nissan for the rest of my living life. Bad experience from customer service to corporate office. This all started when I took my Nissan to my local Nissan dealer and nothing is ever cover under warranty meanwhile I have warranty for the next 10 years or 100 mile bumper to bumper that I bought through Nissan themselves. My car is 2 years old with 25,000 miles and my headlights are starting to peel which means The car is very hard to drive at night time. Sometimes I feel that I might get into a car accident and Nissan did nothing for me. They just say, “Sorry you’re screwed. If you want new headlights you have to pay out-of-pocket.” Always trying to make the customer pay. My question is what kind of products are theyre making that does not even last two years? That’s the problem. My case number is **. P.S. Denis Le Vot sir with all respect your company needs to make better products and treat better the customers because you just lost one of them. Maybe it’s not gonna hurt anything but is not going to hurt me anymore. Thanks.

I purchased a new 2015 Nissan PathFinder in October 2015 and the car currently only has 2300 miles. I took my vehicle to Nissan Montclair for inspection because the airbag light was flashing on the dashboard. Upon inspection, they informed me that the 2 front passenger sensors underneath the seat were broken. They stated that they would not fix the issue unless I pay for repairs since they insist that I caused the damage which is absolutely absurd. The comments on the report state Right front seat damaged due to objects underneath the seat. Attached is an image of the broken sensors and my toddlers plastic snack container which they claimed caused the damage.

I have had a Nissan Leaf for about 18 months. From the beginning, I thought that the brakes were not right (they are computer-controlled brakes). They would slip for about 1/2 second when I pressed them or sometimes during use. About 12 days ago, the car would not start and the computer told me that my foot was not on the brake, but it was! The computer could not sense that my foot was trying to press the brake (remember that the brakes are computer assisted). I took the car into the dealership and they have had it for 12 days, and still they and Nissan USA have no idea what the problem is. They have tried rebooting the computer but it still does not work. This is an obvious safety issue (brakes not working) and inconvenience (not being able to start or use the car), and it seems like the local Nissan dealership and Nissan USA cannot work together to get this resolved!

For the last two years 2014 and 2015 and now into 2016, Nissan has changed - but did they make the change as a user friendly for customers - Hell No times 2. The upper management of Nissan must be a bunch of Bone heads or knuckle heads - your choice but - its one of these two for sure. I have called their CS number multiply times at different times of the day and week to talk to a live person and stay on the phone for up to 2 hrs and no one has ever answer the call. I know I am the bone head for waiting this time endurance but I wanted to find out if anyone would answer. They have made changes to their website over the last two years and it has got worst as whoever they hired to do this changes. It does not work. I should have been discussing the problems to a red brick wall and would have gotten more response from the bone heads at Nissan.

Worst company to deal with. I just bought a 2012 Juke. Less than 50 thousand miles on it the turbo burns out. I had not even made my 4th payment. We took it to 2 different mechanics and were told the same thing. The oil line that feeds the turbo lays up against the manifold causing it to boil and become sludge. I called Nissan and they asked me how can Nissan help you with this? What they were really saying is you can answer our question BUT we have NO intention of helping you. I am out 14 hundred dollars for a new turbo and due to the way it is designed I now need to have the oil changed every 2000 miles so the oil line does not clog again. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT BUY FROM NISSAN. THEY DO NOT BACK THEIR PRODUCT.
I want to warn everyone to stay away from Jenkins Nissan in Lakeland Florid
I want to warn everyone to stay away from Jenkins Nissan in Lakeland Florida. As my previous post stated my wife bought a brand new 2018 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner. After only 1060 miles the motor blew up after the catalytic converter malfunctioned and parts got sucked into the engine. We have spoke to Nissan headquarters and now theyve stopped responding to us. This is what the truck looked like when we went to pick it up. The drive shaft is covered in rust and so is where the exhaust bolts to the engine. Dealership says it normal wear and tear. Theyre not replacing the driveshaft. They said the rust depends on where the truck was manufactured. Its normal. I went around their lot. No rust under any of the other trucks there. My 2014 Titan and our sons 2014 Frontier has no rust. Not a drop. Heres photos of how it looked with the brand new engine. Thats Nissan. @Jenkins Nissan @Nissan. Share this please. Everything under the hood filthy and thanks for the 2 scratches on the front bumper!! Sad thing is thats the 4th vehicle our family has purchased from Jenkins. Way to lose customers. #JenkinsNissan, #Nissan Bonnie **. Next chapter. So as you all know, my wifes new Nissan Desert Runner after having only 1060 miles on it. Had the motor blow up after the catalytic converter mess up. They replaced the motor and converter in 28 days. She picked it up and has driven 51 miles since. Now warning lights are coming on and off for no reason. The brake light, battery light, and a white one in the middle keep coming on. We explained we want the truck replaced. They refused and its just one problem after another. Contacting The Better Business Bureau and Department of Agriculture tomorrow. My brother in law owns a repair shop in Jacksonville. He said they have jurisdiction over the laws concerning these type issues. Thanks #JenkinsNissan and #NissanCorporate.

Bought a new truck in June of 2020. Within the first few months it had 2 radiator leaks, showed signs of a/c leaking and possible injector leak at the 1 and 3 cylinders due to dirt build up around them. After passing by police radar on the side of the road at 40 mph on speedometer it showed 37, 36, so 4 mph off. When I took it in to the dealership with the radiator leaking fixed one leak completely a loose screw on the radiator switched radiator cap from radiator to overflow slowed the leak ordered new radiator cap. While their computer was reset to attempt to fix speedometer. After reset at low speed 40 mph radar showed 39 mph. After getting past left and right at highway speeds used GPS speedometer which showed me only doing 72 sometimes 73.To reach 75 mph on GPS speedometer must get to 78 or 79mph on my dash. This greatly increases the mileage on the vehicle and runs the warranty out sooner also greatly reduces resale value of the vehicle. The first time I towed a trailer weighing 2200 pounds and a 24 hp compact tractor weighing less than 2200lbs the receiver hitch cracked and Nissan has done nothing to replace it! The last two things that was in the initial list of issues the battery terminals were never coated with corrosion inhibitor and the bed wasnt mounted properly leaving roughly a 1 inch gap of alignment from the side of the bed from the cab. So if you are looking down the truck from the tailgate instead of the bed blending into the can you see it bend inwards from the outside of the bed towards the drivers side of the truck. Well I had also complained about squeaking noises from the front end and was blown off.I have been trying to get the truck repaired for over a year now to no avail. In May 2021 went to check fluids under then noticed that the headlight was cracked roughly 1 to 2 inches from mounting bolt under the hood, went to other side it was cracked as well. Shut hood got to looking center of hood aligns perfectly with grill but both the driver and passenger sides are off. Gaps between hood and fenders arent even. Its about the opposite of the gaps in the tailgate due to it being misaligned. This vehicle was never wrecked unless something happened to it before my purchase at 48 miles. Nissan doesnt want anything to do with me or the repairs that are warranty repairs. If you are thinking about buying a new Nissan save yourself the headache. Buy something better. Service after the sale is horrible. Nissan consumer affairs has promised to fix these issues since my first call. It now has been in the shop for over a month in total this visit 3 weeks and going and as of 4 days ago hadnt even been looked at. Beware of what you buy.

I dont know why I never learn my lesson always coming back to this dealership. When I would search for car loans for bad credit, they would always come up. Been turned down 4x, the last humiliating incident, finally got approved through the help of a friend whos only supposed to cosign with me but ended up having the loan under his name only, my name - hopeless. So we drove home and just before the 2nd week, they called asking for my friends tax returns. Wrong timing coz this a few days before the long weekend. I was able to submit what they want right after long weekend. Now theyre saying bank got suspicious and asking for cosigner. I said, You guys are the ones who decided the loan be put solely under my friends name, and we kept you posted about the delay on the docs being asked so you can somehow keep your bank posted and now we are faced with this. My salesman said, Bank said no cosigner no deal. I said, Ok heres the key... TAKE IT. So they did even if I already put 3,000 miles in it in only a 3 wk time. What I cant forget is the humiliation of taking my stuff out under the heat of the sun and piling them up on the side of the guest parking while I wait for my friend to pick me up. FIRST TIME that I experienced such humiliation, although Im a BIG FAN of the NISSAN JUKE, and 2nd GENERATION NISSAN JUKE IS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR; NEVER MIND AND NEVER AGAIN. Thanks Nissan LB. That review is posted on their website. Customer Relations messaged me and left a number to call in case I want to further discuss and get help, but for 4 days Ive been calling but no ones answering. I thought they are testing me how far can I go about telling my ordeal, so Im escalating it to you.

I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Nissan rouge 8 months ago. Very recently after driving for an hour when I get to a sign stop or an intersection, the car does not accelerate no matter how hard I hit the gas pedal. Cars behind me start honking, cussing, and I know that one of these days Im getting into an accident. Im waiting for the Consumer Affairs specialist to call me. I already took the car to an authorized Nissan service center and the mechanic confirmed its the CVT transmission. The car has 79k miles, no warranty and the extended warranty that Nissan offers does not include my VIN. I hope to get positive news from the specialist and Nissan will be paying for the repair cost or else I will have to file a lawsuit. Ive read so many complaints about this car and for Nissan to not take action, it is a shame, perhaps an accident, a lawsuit will make Nissan to take proper action to protect its customers.

My 2017 Nissan Rogue on a dozen frightening occasions while I was accelerating uphill on a dry flat road dropped into lower gear and flashed the red alert triangle. Very scary. I have to take my foot off the gas pedal in order to be able to continue accelerating. Very terrifying especially with cars behind me. Nissan service manager and mechanics refuse to acknowledge the problem and treat me badly and tell me to come back with the incident recorded. I think that Nissan is very aware of the problem and is hiding it until there is a major fatality and they have to have recalls. I dont feel safe in my brand new car and I am treated terribly by the dealership management because they are sexist. Does anyone else have this problem? Please post if you do. This is very serious and I am terrified to drive my car.

Do not ever deal with Nissan, they are ripping people off, this will be my last time doing business with them, $400 for scratches and dents and the car is almost brand new, garage kept and never been touched. And they have the worst customer service ever.

We bought a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder on January 1st, 2014. It was brand new and had been driven, but you could see that the sunroof had something wrong with it because there were water stains on the inside and since it was the panoramic sunroof that does not open, there was definitely an issue with it. The dealership assured us that they would fix it before we drove it off the lot. We trusted that when we finally were able to take it home that it was fixed right and would last. Fast forward 5 years and now it is rusting all around the sunroof and we have been told that the entire roof needs to be replaced. This is a 5 year old vehicle that has no rust anywhere else and has been garage kept for the majority of the time we have owned it. I spoke to Nissan consumer affairs and after going through all their hoops for a diagnostic, they informed me today that they would not be financially assisting me in fixing an issue that is clearly their fault. It may have taken five years to surface but I should not have to pay almost half of what the vehicle is worth to fix a rust issue that was caused by their repair job. Its a disgrace and although this is my fourth Nissan and I have been happy with this Pathfinder I will never buy another Nissan. I cannot believe how they treat their customers when there is a problem. They are awful. Stay away!

I purchased a Nissan Rogue in 2014. I absolutely loved my Rogue. Until one day I was driving and the rpms revved up and then started slowing down. My husband had to come follow me home so I didnt get slammed. My Rogue only had 90,000 miles. I called Nissan and was told, Oh you are out of warranty, sorry cant help you. I lost my job and then the bank took my vehicle. It has destroyed me financially. I was told that until people die because of these bad transmissions Nissan will never do anything about it. I will never be able to buy a car again because of this. I am 58 and always had good credit until now.

It hit 75 degrees today in California and I’m again reminded why I will never buy another Nissan. My AC doesn’t work in my 2014 Nissan Rogue bought new in March 2014 at Dublin Nissan. It hasn’t fully worked since July 2015 when it inexplicably went out in the middle of a road trip in 101 degree weather. My two passengers and I tried to bear it for an hour, but ended up having to pull over for 3 hours to wait til dark to drive home the remaining 2.5 hours. I took the car to Nissan Capitol Expressway two days later where they spent an entire day (and tank of gas) trying to figure out the issue only to come away with no solution. It only seemed to be replicable in 80 degree or above weather and after driving for more than 30 minutes on highways.I knuckled down and made it through the summer, the car had about 18,000 miles at that point and was still in warranty. December 2015 I took the car back to Capitol Nissan for 25k maintenance and had them examine the AC unit again. Another full day of “work” and no solution. The AC continued to work intermittently, I kept up with routine maintenance and always mentioned the AC issues when I was in for service and still under warranty, always at Capitol Nissan. By late spring 2017 the AC had stopped working altogether, no cool air came out at all and the weather was only heating up. In June 2017 I took it to Nissan with 37k miles on it (Nissan warranty stops at 36,000 miles) and had Capitol Nissan spend another whole day working on it.They immediately agreed it wasn’t a functioning unit and spent the whole day with it, by end of day finding a “solution.” This solution was to drain the freon from the system and re-fill, this seemed to solve the problem. I asked the associate why that hadn’t been done before to solve the issue and he said he didn’t know. I then asked how he knew it was fixed and he said he couldn’t guarantee it and re-read me the description of work done like I was a kindergartener who just didn’t understand. He then only charged me for the new AC fluids and “helped” me with the labor cost by charging me $200. I drove away angry and rightfully so as the AC unit stopped working two days later. I called the associate at Capitol Nissan to let them know and never heard back.I then opened a case with Nissan Corporate to have the car declared a lemon as the AC unit will clearly never work. In that call I told them I truly thought this was a one-off case and that until then I had actually liked everything else about my Rogue. I told the representative that if Nissan awarded me the new car I was actually planning on upgrading to the Nissan Murano and would finance that upgrade through them.Nissan Corporate kept my case open for approximately 18 hours only to dismiss it because the car was out of warranty, they offered me one monthly payment ($350) for my troubles. I did not accept this money as it didn’t even begin to cover the amount of time I had spent away from work and the money I had spent fixing this issue. The way Nissan has treated me has made it abundantly clear I will never buy another Nissan and as soon as I am financially able I will be getting rid of this junk Rogue and buying a Toyota.

I traded in a car at Nissan in July 2011 and purchased a new one. In December 2011, I received two warrants for unpaid parking tickets on the car I traded in July. The tickets were issued in November of this year. Every time I call Melloy Nissan, they will tell me they will take care of it and call me back. No one has returned my calls after numerous messages. The old car is still registered to me and in my name. The license plate was never changed.I have to go to Metro Court, set up a court date with a judge, go back on my court date, show that I dont own the car and hopefully get the tickets dismissed. Until I find the time to go to the courthouse, I could possibly be arrested for unpaid parking warrants. Also, what if someone commits a crime in that car that is still registered to me? I am very concerned.

I contacted Nissan customer care. I currently own a 2013 Xterra Pro4x with 66,000 miles. I have driven manuals for 30 years. First clutch burned out 35,400. Second clutch was looked at in a dealership service at 63,000 miles. Was told clutch looked perfect, drove perfect. Had a smell coming from the clutch. 3,000 miles later driving at 60 mph in 5th gear, the clutch blew up. Sounded like an explosion followed by sounds of metal fragments rolling around inside. Nissan required a dealership to look at it. Their conclusion is the driver error caused the clutch failure.Ive never had to replace a clutch before 90/100k. Ive heard from other with the Xterra and Frontiers of this exact same problem happening. Now Im hearing if the transmissions going out at 76,000 miles. They are wanting $2700 to replace a clutch that is sure to fail again. Something is causing these clutches and transmissions to fail. So many mechanics and friends are telling me to get rid of the car ASAP. Lesson learned do not buy Nissan. Nissan does not stand behind their product.

My car has been held at Nissan repair shop for 30 days, for a faulty transmission, that a lot of the public has an issue with. I spoke with Nissan customer service (Katey **) on 4/25/2018 case **. I was promised a 2 month credit to my account, for the time lost, and money by not being able to drive my car. I was suppose to receive an email on 4/26/2018 with documents, for this action to proceed with the credit to my account. I NEVER received them yet and its now May 10, 2018. I called customer service today at 6:45 pm, and Jazmine the representative answered with a nasty attitude, consistently asking me for a payment, when Nissan owes me a credit. She began speaking over me, and would not allow me to answer any of her questions. I then requested to speak with a Manager, she put me on hold, then I heard her mumble a under her breath, then she disconnected the call on me. I called back, and I immediately requested a Manager, his name was Chuck, he also answered with a nasty tone, and was basically flipping me, Yeah yeah maam whats your issue. I then asked if they were happy with their jobs, because I am an innocent customer, who does not deserve the DISRESPECT, I have spent nearly 20,000 with this company. I deserve respect and excellent customer service. They should be fired!

I leased a BRAND NEW 2013 Nissan Altima from Newburgh Nissan in NY. It had 48 miles on it. Ive had the car almost 3 months and brought it in for an oil change today, and asked if they could check out the transmission since it has been sputtering while making left-hand turns. Not only did they try to first CHARGE me just to CHECK the transmission problem, but they came back and said, the transmission is totally shot. This is a known problem. I called NMAC (the leasing company) and they said someone would call to mediate by 5PM. NO ONE CALLED. I agree with the last review. I was suckered into a HIGH monthly payment from DAY ONE. I understand the transmission is under warranty, but for the week or more that they will have my car in the shop, are they going to reimburse me for that portion of my car payment? NO. And I have to pay for a rental??? UNACCEPTABLE. And how many times is this car going to be back in the shop with a new transmission??? I guess I have to wait until they install 3 different transmissions in order to seek relief citing the NYS Lemon Law.

I know these complaints are mostly about Nissan Muranos. I presently own a 08 Nissan Rogue in which my transmission went out on me while on road trip from North Carolina. I purchased it from Nissan dealership in 2011 with approximately 50k. I presently have 121k miles. When I found it was the transmission I did some research because as long I have been driving I know transmission dont go out on cars at 121k. I called Nissan consumer care and found out that an extended warranty is on Rogue transmissions. Being that I had 121k I ask about the mileage on warranty at 120k. I was told mileage didnt matter and take to Nissan dealership. The dealership diagnosed as needing a new transmission. I found a letter on Nissan website stating that the warranty on CVT transmission had been extended to 120k /10 yrs from 60k 5 yrs. The letter also states that even past warranty mileage that decrease in repair cost would occur by Nissan. After speaking with Nissan Ive been told that no previous problem with transmission and being out of warranty they couldnt assist me with my transmission. Doing further research there are many people having/had issues with the CVT transmissions in Rogue/Muranos. I spoke with a few mechanics who said that transmissions dont fail @121k and Nissan had issues with CVT transmission. Right now I feel Im caught in rock and hard place. I have to spend $3500-$4000 for a major repair for a car that Im still paying for. I have purchased 3 prior Nissans and always thought highly for their cars. I believe that Nissan is trying to deflect responsibility for having a defective part. I just want Nissan to own up and replace it in good faith. I like the car, but after this Ill seriously consider and likely purchasing other brands and models of auto other than Nissans

So I bought a 2014 Nissan Sentra with 40k miles. I learned how to drive a stick in a 04 Sentra so I really wanted a new version after I sold my 04. Anyways. After about 4 months of having the vehicle my take off and accelerating was slow, if not completely gone. It took forever just to hit 50mph and I better not be on the highway because the minute I hit a hill whatever speed Im going will decrease even with my foot completely on the gas. It was over the time for a oil change so I took it in to get done. Problem went away so I thought I was in the clear but then it came back the next day. I forgot to mention that the engine light and traction light would come on every other day.I went to the Nissan dealership in Florence, SC where my mother was just incase I needed to steal her car. They ended up having to keep my car for 2 days because the engine lights werent on and they couldnt get a error code. Eventually they figured out it was a electrical problem and my backup communication system was failing and because of the 2 issues my battery was being drained so I needed a new battery too. The price ended up being $533. I called Nissan, started a claim, and within 24 hours I received a call back stated my claim had been approved and Nissan was going to pay 90%. Whoop whoop. The only issue was it took 10 days for the dealership to receive their check. Now those 10 days do include weekends and the 4th of July. My claim was approved Wednesday but I couldnt get my car back until the following Saturday. Even though the dealership talked to consumer affairs they wouldnt give me my car back until they got their 90%. Anyways since it was 10 days when I finally came to get my car my tech just gave it to me and forgave my 10%. I ended up paying nothing at all.

I just paid my van off when I started having engine issues. At 120,000 codes read p1701 tcm wiring, p0746 pressure control solenoid, p1778 step motor, p0868 pressure control module. Is it the transmission? The mechanic doesnt want to touch it. Just wants to change the tranny. I can not afford this. I am single mom. Is there not someone that can rebuild them properly??? I bought a Nissan (2011 Quest) because I thought it would last longer. I have not driven the van in 6 months. Its a total loss if I spend the money and it happens again then I am putting good money after bad. Its not worth anything as a down payment if I have to tow it in. Has anyone got to the bottom of this???

2013 Nissan Sentra SV with transmission issues. Took it to the Premier Nissan of San Jose and was told they could not find the issue. Test drove with the mechanic. Next day they say they cant reproduce the issue. Went back again and went on a test drive. Next day again they say they cant find the issue.I went back and this time another mechanic went on a drive with me and brought the computer to record data. He said that the car will need to stay there. This was already a week in the shop and they did not provide a loaner.Extremely poor customer service. The service advisors are a bunch of liars. They dont even call me back with a status update. I had to call them multiple times to find out. They changed their statement 3 times about me getting a loaner. 2 weeks in now and I am still without a car. Stay away from this dealership and stay away from Nissan. ABSOLUTELY MY LAST NISSAN EVER EVEN IF THEY GIVE ME A 50% discount.

I have always been very proud to say that I have purchased all of my cars from Nissan. I’ve been loyal customer to Nissan for 20 + years, buying all five of my cars and referred many of my family and friends who were looking for a car. My financing company for my Nissan Altima is Nissan as well. I travel many times a year and rent my cars through Nissan. Corona Nissan and Downey Nissan have been my dealerships. Tim ** is my loyal dealership representative who always took care of my car buying experience. Because of him he had proven to me what great customer care and loyalty Nissan has toward their customers. On 1/20/16 I got off work and attempted to head home. The indicator or key was lit up on my dashboard. I figured it was the battery in my remote and I could replace it. I stopped at the store on the way home. My car didn’t start leaving me stranded. After being towed to Carson Nissan, I was informed that the reason it didn’t start was because the Intelligent key malfunctioned and it would cost $1018.23 to fix. I had to borrow money to get this fixed. Looking in the owner’s manual, it clearly states that it is a Malfunction which to me is an issue that needs to be handled by Nissan.I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs in hopes that I could get some kind of financial support with this situation. The agent that contacted me within 24 hours left a message and said they would be making a decision on the matter within 7 business days. I tried to call her back to discuss the situation but receive a callback. I received a call denying my claim. I was told that this decision was based on the year of my car, mileage and my warranty expired back in July. Of course, for me, I was VERY disappointed. As a customer of Nissan I should have had the opportunity to be able to talk to someone that listened. Every time I called Nissan ConsumerAffairs I received an answering machine. The agent I spoke to I felt didnt listen. I believe that this decision was completely unfair. Not one person asked what kind of customer I am to Nissan. I always believed that Nissan took care of their customers but now that isn’t the case. Through the years, I have never contacted Nissan ConsumerAffairs for any kind of assistance. I understand that I am responsible for my car’s wear and tear. I would never take advantage of the company that I have always thought so highly of. However, in this matter, I feel that because my owner’s manual says malfunction this is an issue that Nissan should be responsible for. Due to this decision and how it was handled, I will NEVER buy a Nissan nor will I ever refer my friends and family members again.

I discovered a good-sized hole on the passengers front seat floorboard. I was told it was rotted out by rust. My car is 7 years old and only 66,000 miles. Nissan told me that they will not pay to have it fixed. From my mechanic and the website, there have been many complaints regarding this same matter.

2012 Nissan Rogue S AWD, with a CVT. 2015 Oct, I purchased the vehicle use with 96K miles, still within the bumper to bumper warranty (different owner). 2 Weeks after purchase during an attempt to vacation, we arrive in St. George with a smoking engine compartment and loss of fluids. The transmission blew due to it overheating. It over heating due to the poorly manufactured cooling portion of the CVT. Which resulting in the transmission being overheated and blown. The Nissan Dealer in St. George charged my purchased extended warranty for the replacement. Not the extended manufacture warranty it should have been covered under still. $4,600 total - $480 out of pocket.June 6th, 2017. (1.5 years later, 7 months outside of warranty and 124,500 miles) Traveling to Grand Junction. Vehicle started mimicking similar issues as prior. Had to replace the cooling portion of the unit. They upgraded it to the better version (the external cooler) that would prevent the transmission from over heating. $1,000 total $160 out of pocket. (Thank goodness for my extended warranty AGAIN). July 7th, 2018. 1 month outside of warranty for the external cooler and 136,907 miles. Traveling to Twin Falls. Same issues start occurring. AGAIN. Took to the dealership on 7/9 where I was advised that my transmission had went into fail safe mode 111 times. Leading to need to replace the transmission once again due to the external cooler not doing its job once again.I have contact Nissan Consumer Affairs, I opened a case which went to review. Subsequently being denied for Goodwill Assistance on 7/10 at 5:20 PM for assistance on another $5,000 repair due to defective manufacturing due to the vehicle being outside of the 60,000 mile manufacture warranty. I was very friendly offered the opportunity to purchase another vehicle from Nissan though. I THINK NOT! Nissan, it is time for you to own up to your defective vehicles and repair them at your cost since there are so many of these that are occurring with the same issue! I also urge everyone to contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and report the problems of loss of acceleration etc.

Leased new Infiniti QX70 in 2017. Never missed a payment, or late. Reported as 30-day late to credit bureau 2 months before lease ended because the local sales tax had changed from 6% to 7%, and even though I made the payment, I was $5.38 short. Never knew the rate changed! I am paperless, and make automatic payments. Why would I imagine that my payment would change when I entered into a contract for a specified amount for 36 months? I have leased/owned 4 Infiniti vehicles (QX4, G35, EX35, and QX70) for more than 25 years, and only now have I ever had any issues. Their answer: TOO BAD. My response: Never will I lease/buy another Nissan or Infiniti. And will steer any I know away.

I am the owner of a 2013 Nissan Rogue S AWD Special Edition. Prior to this vehicle I have bought Two and Leased Two, and believe me there is No Loyalty from this company. My complaint with Nissan is - on Sept. 2014 I brought my car to the Dealer MLG #34,387 Newburgh Nissan NY for CVT transmission problems. Whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway, very dangerous. They found an ABS code C1106. Had no problem until April 2015 and it happened again, whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway. So I brought it back to the Dealer MLG #45,452 Newburgh Nissan NY and they could not duplicate the problem and NO codes. OK so now I called Consumer Affairs of Nissan and I received a return call from ** (615) 725-7592 who gave my a REF. # **. Told her what was going on and she insisted that I take to a different Dealer for a Second Opinion. So thats what I did, I brought the car over to another Dealer MLG #45,963 April 2015 Middletown Nissan NY and they couldnt duplicate the problem as well and NO codes. And now to top it off, this problem its costing me money to a Rent A Car. OK So I picked up the car and on May 2, 2015 it happened again. On May 4, 2015 I had my friend hook up the scanner to check the system and found a stored code. Transmission Fault code P0744 Torque Converter ECU part # 31036-JM62A. So I brought the car back to the first Dealer Newburgh Nissan NY and thats where car is now, and they wouldnt give me a rent a car so I am stuck home. I left several messages with ** and have not received a call back. Shows you how concerned she is about this problem. I also filed 3 Vehicle Safety Complaints with Safercar, gov...

I experienced transmission problems with my 2009 Cube which has 70,000 miles on it, Nissan says it has an extended warranty on the transmission of 120,000. Not so! I have broken down 3 times on a major highway after the car will not shift out of high gear after driving 65 to 70 MPH. It then will crawl to a slow dangerous speed. I have paid for 3 $250.00 tows, missed my grandsons graduation and been stranded late at night for Nissan to tell me they can find nothing wrong with the car on their diagnostic machine. THEY REFUSE to recreate the problem on the road as they cannot spare the man power. This is not a safe car and I can no longer drive it and feel safe. Needless to say Nissan is more than willing to put my family in a life threatening position to save a buck! We called Customer Affairs several times and they tried to convince and remind the dealer, Courtesy Nissan of Tampa that the transmission was under warranty. No avail. I found my car in the back lot after they had it for 8 days. They were happy to charge me over three hundred dollars after my second tow to flush the transmission which did nothing. Pretty sure they did nothing to try and help me. Never in the time I owned the car did I get honest service at that dealership. I had tire sensors replaced a few times and gave up because they have never worked and spent many nervous rides thinking I had a flat. I will never buy from Nissan again and I warn others to do the same. They do not care about the safety of their customers.

I purchased a car from Nissan for my son so that he could get to school safely. We test drove the car together (fully loaded with GPS sirius XM). After we completed the details of the car purchase, my son got the car and drove off. I made the fatal mistake of trusting the salesman. I did not realize the mistake until I asked to borrow my sons car. BLUF, I contacted, Nissan the internet manager called, recorded our conversation and she kept pausing in 5 min intervals as if she were thinking of how to find words to tell me I had the right car. She asked if I came in on the 16K special, I said no, I thought I was getting the car that had sirius XM and GPS. So then she tells me my salesman was out of the country and then she said another far fetch explanation. I contacted Nissan Corp and was assigned a case # so Heidi calls me every 3 days while I am at work or when she is about to leave for the day to check the block to ask if the manager of Bowie Nissan has contacted me. I returned her call and left a message asking to receive an email and she said she is unable to write an email. I was very specific in a detail letter and she leaves a message to say to call her if I have concerns. I will never refer my friends to Bowie Nissan and yes I have many friends who are in need a car including my daughter. I will refer then to Acura, Acura does not rip off its customers. The financial advisor lied initially to me about qualifying for a higher loan and I have excellent credit. The bank gave me a much better loan than Nissan tried to offer for less years. I have seen cars that are clearly marked Altima 2.5S. The paperwork noting what is attached to the vehicle also coincides to read Altima 2.5S. My sons car says ALTIMA S and his paperwork says ALTIMA 2.5S. The fair thing for Nissan to do would be to add the features that we paid for. We have paperwork that clearly says 2.5S

We got someone to take over our lease and the process took 2-1/2 months. They constantly asked us to resend paperwork; didnt send paperwork to us unless requested multiple times; never called us back when they said they would including their supervisors. You have no recourse but to keep calling and hope someone can help eventually. It is seriously the worst company Ive ever dealt with. I wish I could give negative stars.

I bought this 2015 Nissan Altima Feb. 27th, 2015. It had defects on exterior, signal lamp loose, dashboard bad. 2 weeks later the sway bar fell from underneath. I duct taped it up. Called Reidsville Nissan. Corrected. Now after 1700 miles and 3 months later the radiator went out. New one installed by Nissan store. They drove it and called me. Said it needed a new motor. Really, after 1700 miles. Called consumer affairs and after 2 weeks they said Nissan would not buy back or substitute for collateral. Very unhappy with this decision and have had an account with Nissan 4 years. I feel as if a substitute for collateral would have been good. Now I will be trying to trade for a car. I do feel safe in today. Today I go pick up my new motor Nissan and not happy at all.

Purchased a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum brand new. Has 24K miles on it and all 4 tires are bald. My wife has hydroplaned with our 16 month old and our 4 month old in the car and almost crashed. We had to stop driving it. At first we thought that Bridgestone would be responsible but after talking to them we found that they do not offer a tire warranty on OEM tires. This is because the manufacturer, Nissan in this case, sets the specifications by which the tire is to be made. They spec soft rubber on OEM tires in order to get a softer ride and better gas mileage etc. So they are made by the tire manufacturer but to the specs that Nissan sets. In these types of agreements between car manufacturers and tire manufacturers the tire company offers no warranty on the tires because they know the rubber specs that car manufacturers set is inferior. Nissan buys poor quality tires with a name brand on them at dirt cheap prices, put them on all their cars and neither company takes any responsibility for the poor product. We have talked with Nissan consumer affairs until we are blue in the face and they will not lift a finger to help. They did not even offer to try to help us work with Bridgestone or our dealership to get a discount on new tires. They have literally offered no kind of help at all. Nissan designed the rubber compound, Nissan put them on their cars and passed them off as high quality, and Nissan should stand behind everything they put on their cars. Especially when they are directly responsible for the design and performance. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM NISSAN!

Bought my 2012 Rogue in April 2012. Its been a great car to me, love how it handles in the snow. Now in April 2017 and 72,000 miles later, I need a new transmission. Despite the fact that I did not buy the extended warranty, I should not have to replace a transmission this soon. Apparently there have been recalls regarding the CVT transmissions (Nissan is well aware of their problems) but my VIN was not included... Hmmm... I wonder why. Since it is out of warranty, I am not bringing it to a Nissan dealership for repair as they will only charge me more than my hometown garage. I am going to have the transmission replaced and then trade it in. Time to go back to buying American. Since I bought my Rogue I have recommended the car to so many people. Now I am sorry I did that. $4000 down the drain.

I bought the vehicle(Nissan Navara) new in 2006. In 2009 (less than 3 years old) I complained about severe chassis rust. I was fobbed off but also told in writing Should you have any issues with corrosion of the chassis in the future, your vehicle is covered by a 12 year perforation warranty. Now the chassis has failed and broken in half! They say on 18/3/2015 this isnt a situation where we would be able to offer a gesture of goodwill because of your vehicles age and mileage and the fact that the corrosion warranty does not cover the chassis.

Paint is flaking off the front quarter panels, hood, area around the windshield, and the roof. Paint bubbles up and then flakes off. I have called Nissan Consumer affairs and was told to take it to a dealer for a diagnosis and then call them back. They said that they hadnt had a lot of calls for this problem on a Pathfinder. I have seen several complaints on the internet about this same problem in the exact same places on the vehicle. I am taking it to the dealer for their diagnosis and will call consumer affairs to see what can be done.

I had contacted Nissan regarding a shift lever failure on my 2008 Rogue. After sending in my information and then getting a reply from Nissan today, 9/7/12, (after several attempts to contact anyone), I was told by Nissan that they cannot help me with any financial help or warranty due to the part is not covered by any drivetrain warranty. As this part is not considered a drivetrain part and I am at 60,109 miles (1,009 miles over the 60,000 drivetrain warranty). It was added, additionally, that another main reason I was denied any help is I was told that I do not take my car to Nissan for any service, therefore, they cannot help me at Christopher Nissan in Woods Cross Utah. This sends a message to me that since I do not spend money at Nissan, there is not much they feel responsible for. I did have my CVT transmission serviced there as I feel it was important for the extended warranty to have it serviced. $180 on a transmission service that should only have cost no more than $75. I do my own maintenance on my cars and have completed the service needed on oil changes and rotating tires, etc. So Im not spending money at Nissan rubes wrong. From my view, the part that failed has nothing to do with service or maintenance and what I have spent at the dealer. It is related to the quality of a component. If anyone at Nissan would take time to read internet reviews on this subject, they would conclude there are many questionable concerns about this part on the Rogue and other Nissan models. So if this has come to a close about me not spending more money with Nissan to service my vehicle, I accept this and will not spend any more money with Nissan going forward. There are plenty of choices for me to where I spend my money and what car I buy. Signed, David **, one unhappy customer.

I worked for a Nissan Dealer for 3 weeks, so I could find out why the cars had lost the great reputation of the 280ZX, and why most people hated the dealers. I sold my shop and moved to Florida to find out what was the problem. They only paid 30% of the labor fee to a mechanic if it is warranty. If it was warranty work and good mechanics did it, they would have quit if it was warranty. Mostly new bad mechanics, with no customers, got the warranty work and oil changes. They would change the oil with recycled oil on hot motors, thus spilling it all over the trans, causing warranty work for leaks all over. They paid me $75.00 to replace a rear main engine seal that was dry as a bone, oil was all over the trans, because of boys changing oil. I only use Fully Synthetic German 20w 60w LIQUI MOLY oil. Back in 2000 a cheap $20.00 oil change at Nissan was recycled oils, garbage. They did not care about customers. I still hear from my customers back home in Louisville and they miss me. I took good care of them from a wreck to a clutch, and when the Dealer told them they could not fix it, I had like new used parts and would have it going in one date with a year or more warranty for 1/5th the cost. I drive a Lincoln Towncar now and a BMW Z4, cause BMW charges much more, not a better vehicle, 240Z easiest car to work on.

Transmission problems. They know about problems with their vehicles but don’t care. DO NOT make the same mistake I did. I have talked to several people that bought them and mechanics they agree, don’t BUY. I talked to their corporate office and they don’t care and won’t talk about the issue.

2013 Nissan Altima, 3.5S VIN#**. Issue: The readout for the heat and AC located on the center dash console constantly will go blank. Everything is still operational but, blindly, due to the screen being blank. Ive had the car in to Grubbs Nissan for this issue several times. On one occasion I drove in as it was going off and on and had a service tech drive around with me. She videoed it on her phone. I was told the part was ordered and almost two months later called in to have it replaced. Within the same week of having it replaced the same issue began again. I drove in and told my service guy who was there but off duty. He went and scheduled an apt for the following Monday but neglected to put down what the issue was so, when I took it in on Monday I also told a different service guy about another issue I was having with the radio. The radio is the only issue they touched. The excuse I get is, Our service department could not get the issue to reproduce. For the full month of December 2014 I recorded date, time, weather when this issue was repeated. I also have a video of it. This is NOT acceptable and I want it fixed!!Date, Time, Weather. 12/3/2014 2:30 PM, humid. 12/5/2014 7:55 AM, humid. 12/10/2014 7:56 AM, rainy/humid. Goes off after the 4th wipe of the wipers. I have dealt with this company for 4 years from not receiving my payment statements, to payments sent on time, to them posting them several day after receiving them at their post office box, to filing written complaints with a response justifying their negligent actions. If you ever purchase a vehicle from Nissan try to go to another financial institution. This one is horrible, they hang up on you if they dont want to hear your complaint, misrepresent themselves. 1 car 2 lemon, never received statements, pay on time, post payments close to grace period ending date, no reason why? I contacted them several times over first few months, could not pay online, because someone opened account and put a password on it that I could not access, they could not delete - bottom line I could not use. 2nd car total brand new lemon send payments on time, they post close to end grace period, same problem, now I pay through bill pay. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB and attorney general, other complaints too long to list. I was referred to my bank to refinance through them so I no longer have to deal with Nissan. I am considering this.
I purchased a 2012 Nissan Sentra from the dealership in March of 2012 based
I purchased a 2012 Nissan Sentra from the dealership in March of 2012 based on recommendations of the sales team regarding my traveling needs. At the time of purchase it was explained to the sales team that I commute to New York about 200 miles round trip daily. The decision to purchase the Nissan Sentra was based on my commuting requirements with the strong recommendations that the Nissan Sentra would be a reliable commuter vehicle that should last a minimum of 200,000 miles. With that said the Nissan Sentra is currently in the Nissan service department waiting the installation of a second transmission. The first replacement transmission was installed around 61,000 miles and currently the vehicle is at 99,000 miles awaiting the second replacement transmission. At the time of purchase an extended warranty was purchased for the vehicle and therefore the transmissions have been covered under this warranty minus the deductible. However, there has not been any logical explanation as to why this has occurred. The only thing explained to me was that Nissan has been experiencing lots of issues with these transmissions. The fact that the Nissan Sentra is now requiring a second transmission installed and it has not even reached the original 100,000 miles for the recommended transmission service is unacceptable. The miles that are driven with the Nissan Sentra are mainly highway miles and the failure issues with the transmission should not have occurred. What is even more discouraging is the fact that this Nissan Sentra may encounter additional future transmission problems with this vehicle after the extended warranty expires at 100,000 miles. The customer service and repairs received from the Nissan service department have been to date have been unprofessional and unreliable. I brought these concerns to both the Sales Manager and President of the Local Dealership feeling that the 2012 Nissan Sentra has ongoing mechanical issues and the vehicle is unreliable at this point. The only option that was provided was to purchase another extended warranty of 36,000 additional miles at their dealer cost. It is an absolute embarrassment to Nissan that this would be the only option the Local Nissan Dealership could offer. In addition the Sales Manager for the local Nissan dealership never even provided any other option of taking the vehicle as trade to purchase a different vehicle, but rather utilize my credit history as an excuse to say there is nothing else the dealership could offer.

Bought brand new 2015 Nissan Rouge. My tail light has been repaired 3 times due to condensation and currently not fix costing me gas, time, and unwanted mileage. Each time I have to take it to the Nissan Dealership, currently around 357 miles put on going back and forth. File complaint asking them buy back suv or replace SUV, and they said no and set up appointment number 4. If I wanted a problem SUV I would of bought a used one, since lemon law requires 4 attempts to fix it. I cant do anything but put up with the lies they have told me, therefore for all the stress, time, gas, money and mileage I give Nissan a negative 0. Will never buy another Nissan. Since I cant submit this without a star being check I will check 1, but I stand by my negative zero

Out and about with my wife. Parked our Nissan Altima and returned one hour later. Car wouldnt start. Key symbol appeared on the dash. Walked home and retrieved other key fob. Still wouldnt start. Googled the issue and found out that hundreds of other Nissan Altima owners had same issue. Called Nissan, they took my info and got back to me the next day with a sorry, warranty has expired, we cant help you so $970.02 out of pocket. Im pissed! With the amount of occurrences, this issue should have been a recall at the expense of Nissan. I wont be buying another Nissan. How does one go about starting a class action suit?

I am a returning customer of Nissan and I leased a 2015 Nissan Versa Note and while I have owned the car I find the car is very hard to stop. Many times I found myself in the middle of the intersection finally stopped. I also had my foot get caught by the carpet and molding below the dash which Nissan had a recall for this and they corrected it but now my foot still gets caught so they didnt fix anything there.I also found six months in with the car that there was a humming sound coming from the rear wheels and I had the tires checked many times and nothing. Finally I found out the wheel bearings were going out. I took the car to the dealer and they said the car is unsafe to drive so they gave me a loaner car and replaced both wheel bearings. Now about 2 months later the humming in the rear wheels is humming again. The humming is not consistent yet. I called Nissan to tell them I am returning the car early because I feel its unsafe to drive and they advised me that I need to talk to Nissan consumer affairs so they sent a claim over to them.I then got a call from a lady who said she was with consumer affairs and she was gathering information on my case for her co-worker and that he would contact me in a week and they would advise me if Nissan could repurchase the vehicle from me. I got a call a week later from a guy telling me, You talked to my co-worker and we have everything we need so I will call you this Friday. Well Friday came and went, I was contacted by a woman the next week explaining the guy is no longer with the company and she would be handling the situation and she would call me in a week. A week goes by and I didnt receive a call so I called myself and they said they were sorry the woman helping me was no longer with the company, so now here I am 2 people who were helping me are no longer with the company. I think this is sign that maybe Nissan isnt the company I was led to believe. The end result was Nissan offered to give me a warranty to cover the breaks and the wheels but didnt offer to purchase the vehicle, so they want me to drive an unsafe vehicle and if it breaks and causes and accident I may be dead but the car will get repaired because of the generous nature of Nissan providing me the extended warranty. So in the end I might be dead but my family could get the car fixed and be able to drive it around. So I just got an inspection done and I am now going to turn the car into the dealer and deal with Nissan coming after me, trying to get me to pay for a death trap. So thank you Nissan for absolutely nothing and I will be sure everyone in the USA is aware of my situation and the quality of your products and your desire to not help your customers.

Bought Rogue in April of 2011. It is a 2011 model. Car was BRAND NEW! Approx. 8-12 months later, noticed transmission making high-pitched whining sound. Call Nissan, Norwich, CT where I had purchased vehicle. Was told that the noise was normal for the CVT transmission. So I didnt worry about it after that. Finally in May of 2014, I really thought the transmission wasnt right. I brought it in and paid Norwich Nissan 116.00 diagnostic fee. Was given invoice/statement saying that the transmission had been checked and that no problems were found and that no service needed. Then in November, my transmission suddenly stopped working, and I barely made it home. I was furious! I took it to a local trusted mechanic and he told me the transmission was shot and had been going for a long time! I contacted Nissan Corporate Consumer Affairs and it took over a month of phone calls back and forth for them to finally tell me that that would claim no responsibility because the car was too far out of warranty (82,000 miles). When I first asked Nissan about the car, it probably only had about 24,000 on it. Then in May when they checked the transmission, it had 70,000 miles. I did some research and found several other customers whose transmission had died around 70 - 72,000 miles just like mine. DON’T TRUST NISSAN......VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IF THEY KNOW YOURE RIGHT! I will continue to seek legal action against this company. In the meantime, Ive bought a Mazda, so far very happy with. Am in the process of trying to sell my 30,000 dollar Rogue (now worth about $6,000 without a transmission!).

The national corporate Nissan office surprised me with their response. I had called simply to vent about my treatment at Pohanka Nissan in Fredericksburg, VA. I did not expect them to actually stand behind their product. They listened politely to me and said they would review the problems and get back to me.They called me daily with updates and totally resolved it within a week by compensating me 100% of the transmission replacement. They were amazing as I never expected this response. The only reason that I did not change their rating to 5-stars was the horrible treatment by their Fredericksburg, VA dealership, Pohanka. They were rude and incompetent. For examples on Pohanka, they deceitfully tried to sell my wife higher grade oil changes than recommended by the manufacturer. Just this week, I had to repair a vacuum hose that my Goodyear mechanic said almost certainly resulted from poor installation of the transmission last month by Pohanka. The Pohanka Service Representative actually blamed me for the failure of the $3,800 transmission - you can only guess how that went over with me.I have dealt with many Nissan dealerships and have been very pleased with all but Pohanka. The obvious solution is to continue to buy Nissan products but not from Pohanka. Nor would I recommend that anyone services their car with Pohanka. Again, I was not happy about the transmission but the National Corporate Nissan office was amazing in resolving the problem to our satisfaction. They won me back big time with their incredible response to back up their product with a long term customer.
