Nissan reveals a V-8-powered Frontier
Posted On: October 31, 2022
Nissan will use the 2022 SEMA show on this week in Las Vegas to present a Frontier pickup truck powered by a V-8 engine. The vehicle is strictly a concept, though we may see it entered in Baja-style desert racing competitions since it was developed in partnership with Forsberg Racing, the racing team of successful drifter Chris Forsberg. Called the Nissan Nismo Off Road Frontier V8 concept, the show truck packs a range of parts and accessories from the Nismo Off Road range that will be available at Nissan dealerships shortly. There are also some prototype parts that Nissan may also put into production. The concept is based on the redesigned 2022 Nissan Frontier and features the 5.6-liter V-8 found in Nissan's Armada and Titan. The engine is good for 400 hp in those models, but Nissan hasn't said what it generates in the concept. There's a chance there might be a few extra horses as the concept also sports a custom cold air intake and cat-back exhaust system. Nissan Nismo Off Road Frontier V8 concept The truck has a powerful stance thanks to a wide-body kit featuring carbon-fiber front fenders and bedsides, plus a carbon hood. The kit was necessary to fit the truck's wider suspension which adopts the lower control arms, front spindles, wheel hubs, and rear axle from the Titan. The suspension also features new upper control arms and Bilstein coil-over shocks, plus a new rear leaf spring pack with Bilstein external reservoir shocks. These tweaks help increase the ride height and payload capacity, Nissan said. Other upgrades include 18-inch wheels with 295/70/18 mud-terrain tires, extra lighting, and a Warn winch. There are also prototype parts. The list includes the front bumper, rock rails, roof rack, and in-bed wheel carriers. This year's SEMA show is scheduled for Nov. 1-4. Nissan will also use the show to present its new Z GT4 race car, a Z with Nismo accessories, and a Sunny Truck powered by a Nissan Leaf's electric setup.

My case was open in November 2019. My vehicle under warranty needs repair. More than 3 months has passed. Repair has not been authorized. I purchased a NV3500 in 2017. It has 5 year warranty. I found very serious rust problem on the roof and took the van to local dealer for diagnostic examination. The case was open in November 2019. The local dealer sent the report to General Nissan Consumer Affair on Dec 30, 2020, waiting for instruction to do the repair. However since then, we have been waiting and waiting.Every time I try to call the specialist in General Nissan Consumer Affairs who is in charge of my case, he wont pick up my phone call. When he calls back, he left message without information I missed your call, please call me back, my phone number is **. The worst thing is, there are three times I happened to pick up his call, but he hung up right after I picked up the call. I requested to communicate with email, but I only received the initial email when the case was open in November 2019. Basically he avoids talking to me and purposely delay the response to my case. I dropped my van in local dealer which is 60 miles away from my home in November 2019 waiting for the repair. In the meantime I requested a rental car to use, but the local dealer doesnt have one. I have other vehicles like Toyota and have never had problem to contact the consumer service or the dealer. I have never thought that Nissan has so bad consumer service and hope Nissan can solve this complaint after my case has been filed for almost 3 three months, still waiting, no car to use.

In August of 2010 I set up automatic payments for my newly purchased Nissan Rogue. All went smoothly for better than four years - then I get a call from Nissan Collections. The Nissan Collections agent informs me Im sixty days past due on my car payment and my response is, But Im signed up for automatic payments. I made full restitution immediately and was led to believe that the situation was not of my doing and that all would be corrected. Not so. Nissan attempted to blame my bank at first.Once I verified this wasnt true Nissan went into their standard defense mode - which is very well rehearsed. Nissan claims to have called me multiple times via their automated service, multiple times by an actual person, claimed to have left multiple voice-mail messages, and claimed to have left me at least one email regarding the ending of my automated payments. I did not receive any of what they claim - with the exception of the call I actually answered. My credit score went from 780 to just around 700 in the blink of an eye - and will cost me thousands over the life of the new mortgage Im applying for.Family, friends, and strangers will be sure to hear this story told over and over again. I want the world to know just how disappointed I am with this company. Correct your shamelessly faulty notification system and do right by loyal customers or you are doomed to fail. I do recall several apparently automated calls made to me around that time but there was nobody on the other end. After repeating hello several times I simply hung up. Is someone getting credit on a quota simply for dialing a number without answering it? Ill be contacting Comcast to see if they can do a search on this mystery email I supposedly received. Im paying off the last few month of my loan by check today. This will be the last Nissan I ever own.

I bought a Nissan Altima for them in 2014 and financed through Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. All was great with the car until I was involved in a bad wreck injuring my wife. Talked to Nissan several time over next couple months getting total loss taking care of. Insurance paid all but 5,100.00 and some change. I was told from multiple people within customer service in total loss that as long as I made a payment, this would not be negatively reflected on an account. I made payments that were more than my required payment amount. Then the real fun began. I made a 5,127.44 payment in the form of a check and mailed in, happy it was going to be done. Waited a week, checked account and it was still not listed. Check another week later and still nothing. So I called, they said the check was damaged and could not be processed and mailed the check back. This whole time I stayed in communications with Nissan. I told them once I received the large check back, I would send another check for total payoff. I was advised by another customer service member in total loss department that as long as payments were no further than thirty days apart, I was good. Well they LIED. I was sent to collections department within Nissan and told it will be listed on my credit as a charge-off. I did just received the check damaged yes, but was damaged when opened at Nissan. They opened the envelope long was tearing the account numbers off, then sent the check to me in two pieces so I will make a full payment to be DONE with Nissan but this car was 2014 with 8,500 miles when totaled and was just waiting for this to be cleared to by a 2015, NOT ANY MORE. Nissan will never get the chance to sell finance or even talk to me about one EVER..... And as a veteran, I will post this on all my veterans pages that I am on. I do not recommend Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to ANYONE.

Updated on 04/05/2019: I bought my Nissan Juke Shoro in the UK 2012 brand new. I live in Spain and had it shipped out to me. it never was a fast car but that was ok with me as I cruel around town anyway. A friend drove my car in 2016, it was the first time I had allowed anyone to drive her. He said it didnt seem to have any power and as there was a slight noise from the engine, took it to Nissan Dealers. I was told the gearbox had broken and it needed to be replaced, €10,000!!! I was out of warranty by age but was within milage. I had to fight with Nissan Spain for 5 weeks. They agreed to replace the CVT and I was to pay €1,000 to have it fitted, I was pretty annoyed but paid. Less than 2 years later the same thing, CVT gearbox had gone again. That was in Oct 2018, Nissan refuse to admitted that the car as a fault and now want me to pay €4,000 for a recondition CVT. Its now April 2019 and I have heard nothing. I ended up buying a little Opel for €5,000 with very little mileage. Nissan can keep the car, I wouldnt want it back now anyway. The service I had with Nissan every year was a waste of money. I am very very disappointed with Nissan and would never buy a car from then again.Original Review: I bought my new Nissan Juke Shiro Limited in 2012 and had it shipped to Spain. In 2016 after a friend had driven it, they brought to my attention that it had no power! Nada! To be honest I had always felt a bit un-at-ease when driving my Juke and felt I didn’t have much control on the speed but never through much if it. Especially as I had always serviced my car at a Nissan dealership approved garage and always got conned into paying premium instead of a standard service. So took my Juke to Nissan dealership and I am told the gearbox had broken, a new one would cost €10,000 including fitting! I was just 3 months out of my 3 year warranty but luckily within the mileage. So after 5 weeks of talk and waiting for decisions, Nissan Europe decided to replace the gearbox and I agreed to the €1,000 cost to fit it. It only had 1 year warranty but surely I wouldn’t need another new gearbox. 2 years later, 3 months after the premium service at Nissan... A friend drove my car and said the same as my last friend who had driven it in 2016!! No power! I took it back to Nissan garage, only to be told the gearbox was broken, again. Metal getting into the oil because 2 disks are grinding together in the gearbox... 2 months later, several phone calls, emails and messages. Nissan will only offer a 35% discount on a recondition gearbox €3,998! I can’t see how a faulty car manufactured and badly made by Nissan can be my fault. It cost me over £18,000 new.I am now out of pocket by €1,500 on rental cars and Nissan just don’t give a damn. I was never offered a courtesy car this time or back in 2016. This whole situation has had me sick with worry and not even having €3,998 to pay for the reconditioned gearbox that Nissan have offered! So I can having to pay another month of car hire cost, I am totally lost as to what to do. The head office in Barcelona that have also dealt with my case have been totally unprofessional and unresponsive to my phone calls and my emails. Needless to say, I would never buy another Nissan again???

I’ve been a loyal Nissan customer nearly 20 years and always had my cars serviced at Nissan dealerships. Most recent bad experience with dealership, car was leaking fluid underneath. I was told it needed new rack and pinion so I told them to do the work. I paid $1,300. I always insisted on new genuine Nissan parts. The dealership replaced with used (re-manufactured), non-Nissan parts (but never told me) and it failed less than 2 months later. The dealership admitted they never got my authorization for used parts but wouldnt do more than just replace it again. How can I trust them now? I called Nisan Consumer Affairs for refund and replacement at no cost to me. I was told they couldnt offer me anything but the repair because my car is too old and out of warranty too long. Also, they told me they are under no obligation to use new genuine Nissan parts to even tell me. Seriously? The dealership is guilty of fraud and they cant do anything to make a 20 year customer happy? Unbelievable. Thats what loyalty gets you, crap. Save yourself the aggravation. Dont buy Nissan.

I bought my 2015 Versa - not happy. They screw me with warranties and the car is just the basic. When I fought them to cancel them I still owed a lot for this car. Not worth it... so dont buy this car... Then I got hit from the back and front within 4 month of getting my car so I decided to take in the dealer collision shop here in Katy TX Mossy Nissan. I had a bad experience. They did not do a good job. Never take your car in this shop. Everything was bad. For them to be a dealer they should have better bodyman and painters. How we found out? I got hit again so they had to take the bumper off and found the bumper had glue to hold it on. What kind of ** was that so people please check the work. I will never take it in the dealer or buy another Nissan cars. And the people there are so rude. When they did the problem they dont want to talk to you, so dont go to Mossy Nissan Collision in Katy TX. They do poor quality work. They need to fire all who do ** work. And also the manager that lets these car pass, his name is Matt ** # 281 496 2200.

I purchased a new 2011 Altima in August 2011 on a lease, placing $3,000 down and monthly payments around $260.00. In September, I received a statement showing a credit. Again in October, the statement reflected a credit. I called NMAC to verify these credits were indeed correct, I was assured the account was correct and that my first actual payment would be due in December. At the end of October, I received a collection call stating I was 30 some days overdue with a balance of $368.00 owing. Coincidentally, that day I received a letter from NMAC stating that during an internal audit, they mistakenly applied an amount to my account as a credit and that this amount would be added to my next statement. I called NMAC and told them I have not received a statement showing their mistake and a corrected amount to pay. I would pay when I received the statement. The hounding calls persisted, they even called my place of employment. I called the manager of the dealership, he explained that the dealership and NMAC are two entirely different companies but he offered to help. I received my November statement which has an overage amount due for over $200.00.I paid my arranged payment plus the overage, check cleared. Again in December, the invoice was paid, cleared bank. On December 2, 2011, my dealership manager even intervened and was told that they had cleared up the mess, they informed him that my account and another lease holders account - 1 number apart- was the reason for the confusion. He was told everything is fine, my account is current. I, myself confirmed this information with Nissan. Today, Friday December 23, 2011, at 9:15am at the place of employment, I received a call from NMAC credit attempting to collect a debt 32 days overdue for $368.00, stating insufficient funds. Unbelievable! This company is impossible to deal with - speaking to India without the ability to sit down face to face and hammer out the problems is so frustrating. Local dealerships can only help so much. I have been advised by a family attorney that these companies cannot contact you repeatedly at your place of employment - so I advised them today to cease calling me at work - they are now on notice. This is becoming the worst experience of my life and I will not continue with this idiocy for the next 4 years. We consumers are at the mercy of this NMAC plus they can potentially ruin our credit rating. I may need legal help soon!

I have a case # **. I have bought a lot of cars in the past, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi. I bought a Nissan Sentra because of their reputation. I am very dissatisfied. I do not believe I would be buying another Nissan in the future. I have taken the car back 6 times for the same problem, cracking noise in dashboard. They said they fix it and a week later, it starts again. This time, I am very upset, I took the car to Lake Nissan in Leesburg, FL. I am staying in Orlando for a while. They told me they replaced a broken clip. When I picked up the car, they put some kind of foam around front of dashboard. The foam is sticking out. It does not look very nice. They DID not put paper on floor to work on the car. This is the 6th time I take it to a dealer. I bought a new car not to have issues and this is awful. When I went to the dealership at Lake Nissan in Leesburg, they were trying to get me a new car and get rid of my car, but of course I would lose a lot of money. I was willing to do that if I would just lose $1,000.00 but not $4,000.00. They were very persistent to me leasing a car. I had two employees come and talk to me about it. I feel that they were upset, because like I mention before, they really DID not do a good job on the car. I contacted the state consumer affairs. I do not know what else to do. I am so dissatisfied with Nissan. Like I mentioned before, I would not buy another car from Nissan again.

First time purchase of a loan/lease. Signed a lease with loan prices ($337 month). Total purchase price 2015 Rogue $34,000. Error was noticed by purchaser same day at dealership. When brought to attention of dealer, more or less too bad. All they had to do was tear up the lease form and attach correct monthly price to a lease $134 month. $14,000 to purchase at end of lease or the proper monthly payment, $337 month with the last payment, vehicle is mine... maybe 10 mins of their time on paperwork. Instead of 23 months trying (by me) to get the thing correct. Notified every agency of the error including THE WHITE HOUSE with no luck. Money hungry (Nissan) outfit. Matter went to court March 2017. It is still undecided.

We WERE a Nissan family. 2012 Rouge on second transmission. First faulty transmission caught fire after Service Manager assured us the car was fine to drive. This left my 18 year old daughter on the side of a highway with a flaming car. 2015 Rouge CVT needed to be replaced. Sounded like the wheels were going to fall off. 2012 Versa transmission replaced the same week as the 2012 Rouge. Researched the Versa and it had air bags that were recalled and I was never notified. Called Corporate Nissan and spoke with two separate representatives that could have cared less that for safety or reliability. My daughters were both dismissed by service managers that told them their cars were fine. I am a single mom who has purchased 8 Nissans over the past 25 years. After speaking with Corporate Nissan three cars are going to be traded very quickly!!! BUY ELSEWHERE.

The reason that I am sending this is because I am very unhappy with the customer that I receive from your location. I had an appointment this morning at 8:30am due to my fan making a noise when I cut the heat on. My car also hesitates sometimes when driving so I was having that checked as well. My boyfriend brought my car to the appointment this morning. He was advised that the blow motor was not covered under the warranty and it will be $59.99 to look at this and an additional $99.95 if the hesitation wasnt my transmission. At this point the service manager Mike gets on the phone with poor customer service and had a major attitude. He states that the blow motor is under warranty but I needed a filter that is recommended every 15,000 miles. Thats fine we got it taken care of. My concerns after they repaired it they left all of the leaves and sticks all over my floor in my car when they repaired this. I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and customer service I receive. Not even a year ago I came in because I had a humming noise in my car. When I came in and advised the young lady she was very nasty and rude and told me my warranty was up and I never complained about the noise before (I think her name was Brooke). I get an appointment for the following Monday and sure enough it was my wheel bearing and it was still under warranty. I just feel I receive terrible customer service from this location and it makes me want to go somewhere else. I come here because my job is nearby. I just want a little more empathy and customer service when I come to this location. That is all I am asking. Thank you and have a great day!

I bought a Nissan 370Z convertible 15 months ago with very low mileage. Just beyond the 36,000 mile mark, my convertible top experienced issues which needed to be addressed right away. I brought the car into the shop, they diagnosed the problem, and ordered the part which took 30 days to arrive and install. It was discovered that a second part was also faulty and needed fixing. Five weeks later, I am out $1,750 and still have no working part as we are waiting for the second part to arrive and be installed. The mechanic who was put in numerous hours trying to navigate through the issues flat out told me on three separate occasions to get rid of my Nissan vehicle as the craftsmanship is very poor and the electrical system is backwards (he was referring to Nissan in general). He also says working with Nissan Japan when ordering parts is a pretty painful experience as well - parts take forever. I can attest to this. So in short, I paid $12,000 more for a vehicle with a convertible top that barely made it past its warranty. This is the second Nissan convertible I have owned, and both had expensive electrical and convertible top issues. I can comfortably say that Nissan is the Walmart of the automotive industry. I look forward to turning away as many potential Nissan customers as possible in the future since so many ask me about my car.

DONT BUY NISSAN SENTRA - I say sentra because thats what I own. Purchased a 2013 sentra and the car haven been back to the dealer more than I have been to the doctor during the same period. Too many problems. As of Aug 16th 2016 less than 34,000K miles: Oil leak steering rack, CVT slips and poor acceleration, Brake noise, Shock replaced below 20k miles, Air bag light - countless, Dead battery - replaced 3 times in 3 years - I tired of telling dealer its not the battery. Stupid! Smelly AC - Like dead animal, Rear bumper color changed... parked in garage all the time... sun isnt a factor. Work from home. DONT BUY.On the issue of dead battery... well I went to two funerals out of the country in July and Sept 2014. Gone for 3-4 days each time. Arrive well guess what? Car didnt start.. In October of the same year went on a cruise Friday got back Monday... wont start. August 12th 2016 went to get an oil change. Got out of the car at the dealer, give the key to the guy at the desk. Ten minutes later he walks inside... Sir do you have a set of keys on you? NO...I just give it to you I repiled. Rep. replied.. The car wont start.Okay... they jumped it... which it started. Did battery test etc... said all is good. Saturday morning it started... just wanted to check. Wife and I decided to go for dinner selected a place... one hour drive away from home. Not just for the food okay - for the drive and spend time together. Well after we got dressed around 6pm ready to go... car wont start. Ok I got a jump and off we go. After 11pm we decide to head home, got to the parking lot car wont start. Finally close to midnight someone give us a jump.. it started and we left for home. Got home without any issues.Next morning 9am sunday... well not even a jump could help it... it was DEAD but I must say it was trying to turn over but it couldnt get there. Lights started flashing, beeping etc... like Christmas. Finally after trying well there wasnt any juice left. I GIVE UP... THERE GOES MY SUNDAY. Called Nissan Monday morning. Customer service said they wont get it towed. I had to pay out of my pocket... that did it. I let loose on the rep. but after apologized to her not her fault... but I was pissed. I told her let a manger called me. They said 24hrs. So 2 days wait... now I used my AAA and towed the vehicle. Battery changed again. Car is running for now. Today I missed the mgr call. I returned the call and left a message....

Faulty issues with new Kicks. I have been purchasing Nissan since 1985. This was to be my very first lease ever. I wanted 2018 model. Universal City was the closest and had several cars. I got my Kicks SR. The model I test drove had 80 mls on it and was filthy. I asked the rep if this was a floor model. He avoided the question and said it will be cleaned up. Enamored I went ahead with the purchase. The salesman let me inspect the car in the garage. It seemed to have been cleaned, but when I came home I noticed not only it was dirty but had scuff marks on it, the back light was scratched and missing a flashlight in the tool kit.I cleaned the car myself in my garage. Since it was a lease I became leery and wrote a letter to the manager Steve ** and was completely ignored, zero reply. 3 days later I got a warning flashing on the car UNAVAILABLE FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTION. Same happened again next day. So I took it to dealer. While the car was being inspected, I went to see Steve the manager, who did not appear, was busy. Sia, an assistant manager came to see me. I told him of my dirty car, he said he will detail it and look into missing tool. The next day my car was returned. The explanation on warning was the front sensor was dirty. Scuffs and scratches were gone.. No answer on missing tool. Again, the only reason I am wary because this is a lease, has to be returned and I dont want to be responsible for missing tool. Still I was happy, satisfied. However the warning sign came back. I work, so had to bring the car a couple of days later. This time they kept the car for 5 days to replace the sensor. I asked to be compensated, like a tank of gas, they declined. The service manager finally told me that the car doesnt come with a flashlight. The spot is made for other models that do? Although it doesnt make sense, this is the highest model of Kicks, I am leaving that alone. Once more I said perhaps this is the end. To no avail. Now my dashboard is buzzing, as if I am driving a clunker. Cannot hear music. So today, back to service. I am completely disappointed and have zero confidence in Nissan. I will have no choice but to consult an attorney if anything else happens. Unfortunately only now I begun reading reviews on Nissans and see that there are many complaints on sensors, transmissions and audio systems. Yet I love my car. I am heartbroken.

I traded in a car at Nissan in July 2011 and purchased a new one. In December 2011, I received two warrants for unpaid parking tickets on the car I traded in July. The tickets were issued in November of this year. Every time I call Melloy Nissan, they will tell me they will take care of it and call me back. No one has returned my calls after numerous messages. The old car is still registered to me and in my name. The license plate was never changed.I have to go to Metro Court, set up a court date with a judge, go back on my court date, show that I dont own the car and hopefully get the tickets dismissed. Until I find the time to go to the courthouse, I could possibly be arrested for unpaid parking warrants. Also, what if someone commits a crime in that car that is still registered to me? I am very concerned.

The history my wife and I have with this van is as follows. We purchased the Nissan Quest new in May of 2011 trading in our 2008 Nissan Quest. We had no problems with (2011 Quest) it throughout the summer and into early fall. Then late October early November, it started to stall on us as we would drive down our driveway. We took it to the dealership Nov. 18, 2011 and they had replaced the fuel tank because the pick-up line to the front of the tank was poorly designed. We got it back Dec. 16, 2011 being told all is fine. It stalled out again New Years Eve as we drove down the same hill. Our gas tank showed we had 3/8 of a tank of gas. It would do this every time we were going down the hill with under a half tank of gas. Unable to start again until leveled out. Coasting with limited brakes and steering abilities with children in the car down a very steep and windy hill. We took it back to the shop on Jan. 6, 2012 and it has been there since. Nissan had an engineer out to look at the van to make sure they (Nissan mechanics) had installed the new one properly. Engineers discovered a whole new design would be necessary, but that we could drive it as long as we had over a half tank of gas. We refused as it was a safety concern with our large family. They agreed and paid for our rental car and a month payment to accommodate us. After they had it for over a month with still no fix, we decided to file lemon law on it.

3 weeks ago I went to get my car check at my mechanic place. Everything was fine.. Week later as I was driving my transmission broke and I did drop off at my local Nissan dealership. Next day I got the phone call from Nissan - my transmission is done but Im lucky was still under warranty which was extended by Nissan because of a lot of cases of broken transmissions. Dealership said I will be free of charge (that was Friday). I had to wait 4 days for loaner car because Nissan needed to send approval - got it. Tuesday I receive phone call my subframe is broken and axle rubber is no good so they wont charge me for labor and axle, just for subframe 1100$. When I start to question them how come something is broken now when day before only transmission was for change and everything else was fine besides transmission on top of my check up week before, they started to be rude and give me wrong info every hour. End of story for now is they put everything back with new transmission but not axle anymore and frame - my point is I know its hard to prove if frame is broken or not before you take transmission but I did check up and everything was fine so all I want is meet half way so keep your fingers crossed. Definitely wont purchase NISSAN again and customer service is horrible. I know I can write whatever I want. They dont care anyway but I want people to know and be another one to show how bad they are.

Altima 2009 was returned, inspection (wear and tear) - no charges. 5 1/2 months later, a letter from NMAC says they found engine sludge and they are charging me of improper maintenance. I did the proper maintenance. The cars engine light was not on, no sluggish acceleration, and no smoke when lease was returned. Now, NMAC is charging me for a new engine if I did not produce evidence of oil changes. I no longer have records of a lease returned 5 1/2 months ago. I called many times and explained their answer for me to find the records. Second letter, 3 months later, and now its over 8 months since the lease was returned. New engine charge is $3,737.06. Nissan needs to do more in-depth inspections, not just the wear and tear. It is illegal, unfair, and unreasonable to charge $3,737 for a new engine 8 months after a lease has been returned. Nissan needs to inform the consumer of any costly repair so that proper economic decisions can be made by the consumer before a lease return. I am at NMAC’s mercy now. They can charge anything they want and spoil my credit. I am held hostage by NMAC.

I purchased my Altima in 2011 from Newburgh Nissan, Harte Auto Group. Boy was I ripped off! I felt that I was bait & switched when it came to the deal and paperwork. Clearly, after I realized that I paid WAY too much for this vehicle, nobody wanted to hear about it. Not the dealership and not Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. My payment is way too high for what I can afford since DAY 1. NMAC will NOT work with me regarding possibly modifying the terms of my loan. They dont care. Representatives there are very nasty. No notes was ever noted when I call. I seem to explain my story over and over again. Now nearly sinking clearly into a state of bankruptcy - JUST FOR THIS LOAN/CAR - Im sick to my stomach. In this day and age, you would think auto creditors would WANT to work with you - have a little bit of understanding and compassion to try and make it work. Nissan does NOT. I will NEVER recommend or purchase another Nissan product as long as I breathe and walk this earth. Ive made mistakes in my life - but this one was by far, the worst Ive ever done. Once again, not the dealer or NMAC will even try to listen to me or work with me to make my situation a little easier. DONT BUY A NISSAN!!!

I hate my 2007 nissan sentra so much. It started with transmission problems. I had to get a new transmission for which they paid for. Second the axle broke in front. How can an axle break after only 50,000 miles. The dealer accused me of hitting someone. The front in of the car was not damaged. I DID not hit anyone. They would not cover this. My car constantly makes a loud wailing noise. This was all within a year of buying the car. Would never buy a nissan again!!!

If I could rate Nissan a 0 I would. All around terrible service from the advisors up to management. Brought my vehicle into Pine Belt Nissan of Tomsriver NJ. I had what I believed to be a stress crack across my windshield. The advisor along with the service manager both looked at it, and clearly said they could NOT find any point of impact, obviously with that being said it would be a factory defect. They sent all my info along with photos to Nissan corporate. Who I went back and forth with to have it covered since the glass had NOT been hit. Anyway it had been denied all across the board. Not a single person could provide an explanation on why the glass broke, of course they only work there but know NOTHING. I even asked them if they could Pay half the cost. Again was told NO. I would of happily taken aftermarket glass didnt have to come from the factory. Im guessing Nissan knows nothing of “goodwill”. Customer service is TERRIBLE! They cant even do the right thing for their customers, they would much rather lose them instead. Nissan is pathetic. I would never ever lease or purchase anything from this awful awful company again! Everyone else tell your friends and family! All they could come up with was, Sorry car is not in warranty, spare me Nissan. I will never serve my car in any Nissan service center again. Nissan does not do the right thing and thats the bottom line! Poor product and terrible employees.

I found the recall and the campaign on the highway safety commissions website for the 2005 Nissan Armada fuel sending units. On 11/7/2014 my husband was driving my 2005 Nissan Armada at 3 AM on the busy 5 Lane Highway in Washington state at 65 mph. My SUV came to a abrupt stop in the middle of the highway. It would not turn over to start. The hazard lights would not come on. The state police put out 15 road flares and still they were both almost hit by three trucks and two cars. My Armada showed I had a quarter of a tank of gas. I had to have my sub towed to Campbell Nelson Nissan dealership in Edmonds Washington. Robert, the service manager called and advised me that the fuel sending unit was bad. It shows I have a quarter of a tank but I was really out of gas. John, the manager told me thats what he suspected was wrong with my SUV. John also advised me that there was a warranty on the fuel sending unit but it was only for 72,000 miles but at the least I feel that I should not get stuck with the bill because I bought the car used and had no clue that they had this issue or that it would almost cause the life of my husband or an innocent state trooper. I feel Nissan should open the recall and extend the warranty for the 2005 Nissan Armada fuel sending units. I know only certain 2005 models were in the campaign and recalled but this is what was wrong with my Armada the same thing Nissan campaign for. I want Nissan to cover the bill. Its an unsafe issue and if you guys do not reopen this recall Nissan is going to get somebody killed. If I have to take it to my Lawyer then so be it.

Had my car a year (Altima 2016 used) and it’s out of warranty. When purchasing the car I asked for an extended warranty and the finance manager declined me stating that I was not in a position to receive the extended warranty that I was lucky that I was even approved for the car. I had to beg for GAP and he made me pay for my GAP cash upfront $500. Also when I called my finance company to see if they had additional options they stated that those instruction about extended warranty was not true that they would have went through another company not them. At that point I did not understand why the finance manager had me lie to the finance company about the type of car I was receiving if I would not be covered. Basically I was taken advantage of and it worked on their end because now I am screwed out of a car unless I come up with the funds to fix the issue. Nissan said it’s nothing they can do, You have to buy a $3500 transmission. I do not know much about repair to cars but my car is calling for a sensor and Im not sure why my sensors cannot be replaced vs the entire transmission!Call Consumer Affairs and they had an attitude. Told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. I will be taking this to the next level. My voice will be heard and something will be done. I would have never spent my money with them knowing I would have to deal with such poor service and attitude! Please do not put yourself in my situation stay away from Nissans (CVT) they are NO GOOD! I believe references shouldnt be contacted unless a payments missed, emergency, or to locate the whereabouts of the customer. Nissan Motor Acceptance is actually the billing department. My first payment isnt due for another 34 days! Nissan already sent a letter informing me of the billing department and online options to manage my account. My reference shouldnt have been contacted. I recently traded in my leased Nissan Altima for a used Juke at Vaden Nissan in Bluffton SC. I gave them the payoff on my Altima (through Nissan Motor Acceptance), which they confirmed. The dealership also performed an inspection on my Altima. We discussed a new deal for a used Nissan Juke. They agreed to pay off my Nissan balance, and I financed the price that we agreed to. Four months later I get a bill saying that I owe Nissan Motor Acceptance $1273. I called Nissan Motor Acceptance, and they claimed there was excessive wear and tear on the vehicle, along with an early termination fee. This Altima was in very good shape when Vaden looked at it. It was my understanding when I drove my Juke out their dealership, that we agreed to a deal which had a commitment from both sides. Now they are telling me the charges are non-negotiable. I told both Nissan Motor Acceptance and Vaden Nissan that if I would have known that I owed another $1273, there is no way I would have completed this deal. Who does business like that??? I have NEVER had a problem with Subaru or Toyota coming back to me for charges after a lease. As far as I am concerned, when we agreed to certain numbers, then I shook hands with the salesman, and then drove off the lot, the deal should be over!!! Thanks for reading!

In Feb 2013, I leased a brand new Nissan Pathfinder. I had an 2010 Altima prior but with my family size increasing, I decided to upgrade to something larger. The worst purchase of my life. On the SAME DAY I brought the vehicle home, it would not go into PARK. I had to return it to the dealer. After picking it up that evening on the drive home it started shaking violently to the point that my toddler was terrified in his car seat. I drove right back to the dealer who kept the car for 7 days and then called and said it was ALMOST repaired. But it is safe to drive and as soon as Nissan has the recall part ready I can bring it in and they would have it repaired. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs after numerous fights with the dealer who washed their hands of the issue because they already had my money. Well the only thing worse than a Nissan vehicle is the people that work at their corporate offices. They were of no help and said they were not going to buy back the vehicle as I would have to wait for it to be fixed. I picked up the truck and the VERY NEXT DAY, it completely stalled in a parking lot. It had to be towed into the dealer. 48 hours later I was told that it would be there for another 7 days or so because it needed a NEW TRANSMISSION!!! Please keep in mind all this in only 15 days and I havent even put 50 miles on the car! Well after numerous talks with Nissan and the dealer I got screw over because I am to this day stuck with a vehicle that still never works right. The parking sensor light comes on when its 37 degrees, the heated seats malfunction, the car is always jittery and the tires were terrible! Had to be replaced after 20K miles! To add insult to the injury the Nissan dealer did not submit my payment that was made to them to their finance company in a timely manner and they reported that late payment on my credit report! Even though I have recurring payments set up with them. And it gets worse. I just relocated to PA from NY and they increased my payment by 60 dollars stating that the taxes are different! All with no explanation! Their customer reps are downright rude and nasty! This is the WORST COMPANY ever! I tell everyone I know how horrific they are and how horrible their vehicles are! I have met many people who have had the same issues with this type of car and who feel so ripped off and violated by this company.

Ive been dealing with the same issue for over a year and a half. Every time I call to see if they have fixed the problem (after they have told me it will be fixed), they havent. I dont understand how a business can run without doing their job. Ive called at least 15 times and have been told every time it will be fixed. Ive even asked for a call back every time; not once have I gotten one back. After a year and a half, NMAC has impacted my credit score. I planned to purchase a home in September 2013 but will not be able to. My quality of life has been diminished severely due to this issue. I have lost sleep thinking about what NMAC has done to my credit and how I will have to pay for NMACs fault for years to come. I can honestly say I have never thought a car purchase would negatively impact my life like this. I can only imagine how many customers Nissan is losing due to NMAC.

I have called their CS number multiply times at different times of the day and week to talk to a live person and stay on the phone for up to 2 hrs and no one has ever answer the call. I know I am the bone head for waiting this time endurance but I wanted to find out if anyone would answer. Timing chain tensioner guide premature failure. This is a known problem Nissan has with their engines. Timing chain tensioner premature failure. Nissan has a timing chain that requires no maintenance, yet they use a tensioner guide that is not up to par. There is already on lawsuit for similar Nissan cars maybe there should be two. Fontana Nissan quoted me $800-$1900 to replace this $30 part that was made with a poor quality plastic. If it wasnt a quality problem the OEM guide would still be sold instead its a new part and new part number. Ive owned one Nissan Altima before this and currently own a Murano, Cube and Altima in question. $800 - $1900 to replace a $30 part that is poorly designed and no mentions of any maintenance on the part is insane.Does it seriously make sense to have a customers engine removed from the car, have the customer pay $800 - $1900 and not have a car for a week, or take a chance of the guide failing completely, the chain slipping and would destroy the INTERFERENCE engine possibly on the highway for a $30 part that is poorly designed?

Very recently after driving for an hour when I get to a sign stop or an intersection, the car does not accelerate no matter how hard I hit the gas pedal. Cars behind me start honking, cussing, and I know that one of these days Im getting into an accident. Im waiting for the Consumer Affairs specialist to call me. I already took the car to an authorized Nissan service center and the mechanic confirmed its the CVT transmission. The car has 79k miles, no warranty and the extended warranty that Nissan offers does not include my VIN. I hope to get positive news from the specialist and Nissan will be paying for the repair cost or else I will have to file a lawsuit. Ive read so many complaints about this car and for Nissan to not take action, it is a shame, perhaps an accident, a lawsuit will make Nissan to take proper action to protect its customers.

I have a Nissan Rogue 2013, took it to a dealer in Surrey at 96000 kms because the transmission seemed to be slipping, the service manager took it for a test drive. After coming back about 5 minutes later he told me the transmission was fine and I should just change the transmission oil. I did this and at 113,000 kms the transmission packed it in driving in downtown Vancouver with my daughter in my car. The top speed now reduce to 15 kms an hour. I managed to limp into a parking stall and got the car towed back the dealer. The dealer and the complaint department at Nissan are now telling me, “Too bad for you, this is out of warranty,” which it is! So I am now on the hook for a $4200.00 bill to get it replaced with no goodwill from Nissan or the dealer on a vehicle I bought new off the lot 4 years ago. I live in VA and was driving to Alabama on March 2, 2016. First distance drive with car (2016 Nissan 370Z with 5,000 miles) and the clutch went out in Atlanta on I-85. I was able to drive it to a safe spot but it scared the crap out of me. I-85 in traffic not a good place for the clutch to stick and only able to go in 2nd gear. I had to stay at a hotel in Atlanta. Got up early to take car to dealer and the car would not engage in any gear. Had to have it towed to dealer. The Nissan Dealer in Atlanta did provide a rental car so I was able to continue my journey to Alabama. Was informed that my car would be repaired on my return, Sunday March 4th. Received a call and was told the clutch part was not available in all of North America and would be expedited from Japan. I continued my trip back home to VA in the rental car. I have spoken to the local car dealer in Staunton VA where I purchase the car and they stated a new replacement car could not happen. As I no longer feel safe driving the manual transmission I asked if I could replace the car with a new or fairly new automatic 370Z. I purchased the car in November 2015 with only 25 miles. In reading and researching I have found that other 370Z owners are having the same problem with the clutch. This is a serious safety concern. One in which I could have gotten into an accident. It seems car manufacturers wait until serious accidents occur or death before recalls are issued. I hope and pray the car is completely repaired but hesitate to drive it once it arrives from Atlanta back to VA. Nissan is scheduled to have it delivered from Atlanta to the dealer in Staunton VA some time before the end of March 2016. Ive never purchased a brand new car in which the clutch gave out with less than 5,000 miles. I feel like Im stuck with a car that I no longer want to drive much less pay for. It has crossed my mind to allow a serious hit to my credit score and voluntary repossess the car so that I have peace of mind and feel safe.

I bought a Nissan Cube new in July 2009. Three and a half months later, the car stalled on us while we were driving on the freeway during peak traffic in the pouring rain and almost got my daughter & I killed. I learned the car needed a new transmission. Nissan dealership called Japan and replaced the transmission. They said they sent the black box back to Japan and the defective transmission, said this has never happened. Well, 2 weeks ago, the same thing happened. The car stalled then kicked in and went on its own, slowed down on its own. Its very dangerous and it can kill someone. I took it back in and another new transmission is needed. I havent owned the car 3 years and now it will have its 3rd transmission. I am afraid of getting back in the car since. We were assured it would be okay the 1st time and Im afraid the next time, we could be in an accident or be killed. There are no warning signs, lights or anything that comes on when it happens, so its unsafe. Nissan mechanics cannot assure us that there is not anything else causing this car to keep having transmission problems or why the car acts the way it does when it starts to happen. We are a military family and do not want our life to be cut short because Nissan will not recall this car or compensate us to get into a new safe car.

Nissan have been accused of disgraceful customer service after leaving the owner of a brand new Nissan stranded for three days 200 miles from his home town in the UK. Anthony ** car broke down with transmission failure only one week after purchasing the 50 thousand dollar top of the range Rogue from a Nissan dealership in the UK. ** and his friend were on route from Redcar to Skegness for a golfing holiday and were almost there when they suddenly lost drive from Nissans brand new CVT automatic gearbox on the Nissan Rogue which is called Qashqai in the UK. Mr **, who has previously bought two other brand new Nissans said, I should never have taken this car out of the showroom in the first place. When I went to pick it up, they made me pay for the vehicle before going out to look at it. I was filling in a questionnaire about the excellent condition of the car and the service they were providing when my son said; you had better come and have a look at the car before you answer that question because it has some scratches on it. I examined the car and it was in a right state. I had to ask the garage to wash the car again as it wasnt clean. We found a scratch on one door; scuff marks on the back bumper and two pieces of trim inside the car not fitted properly. I told the salesman I was thinking about walking away from the car but he promised me everything would be sorted. During the following week, Bristol Street Motors failed on two occasions to repair the trim properly. ** went on to explain how he became stranded; I have roadside assistance from Nissan. They are under contract to give you a car to help you on your way in these situations. I arranged for my vehicle to be recovered to a Nissan dealership. The dealership told me they didnt have a courtesy car to give me. They asked me if I could leave the car with them but I couldnt without getting a courtesy car, as mine was full of golfing equipment and luggage. In the end I had to ask the driver of the tow truck if he would take the car and me to the hotel in Skegness where we were stranded for three days. We couldnt go anywhere, as the car couldnt be driven. We were just stuck at the hotel waiting for Nissan to sort out this mess. When they did offer me a car three days later from a Nissan dealership in Boston (Lincolnshire), they said would a Micra do and how was I fixed for getting to Boston myself (25 miles away) to pick it up!!! I eventually persuaded them to give me a Qashqai (Rogue). When it turned up it looked as though it had been off roading. It was filthy and to top it off, was almost empty of fuel. Car of the year 2014? Exceptional service from 3 Nissan dealers and Nissan Customer Care? You decide for yourself! **, who rejected the vehicle, was initially refused neither his money back, nor a replacement vehicle. After 3 months of difficult and protracted negotiation, Nissan finally agreed to refund the money he paid for the vehicle but has lost out due to insurance and other costs.

On March 12, 2012, I went to pickup my newly leased Nissan and found out that the plates on the lease car I was turning in could not be transferred to the new car because the registration had been canceled on 12/30/11 without my knowledge or permission. I had to pay for new plates. I called Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp (NMAC) and was told they knew nothing about my registration being canceled nor did my insurance company. After contacting RMV several times, I found out that my registration had been canceled online. They also told me that my plates had been returned. However, my plates were still on my car when I went to the dealership on March 12. How could they have been returned? I have also continued to pay my lease note and insurance on the car during the past three months without any knowledge of registration cancellation. I spoke with the assistant registrar of RMV in Massachusetts today, 3/15/12, and she told me that the IT department at RMV found that it had been canceled via email by a Loida ** from the Tax and Registration Department at NMAC on 12/30/11. This morning I called NMAC and they told me they now have a note regarding my cancellation that was posted on March 13th. However, they previously had no record and knew nothing about the cancellation and told me they have nothing to do with cancellation and to call the RMV. Now, the story has changed. I drove around for three months with a registration certificate in my car, which I didnt even know was invalid or cancelled. What if I had been in a serious accident? I am also required to pay excise taxes in Massachusetts. I received a letter from Nissan in December that they would be including it in my lease bill in the upcoming months as they usually do. I contacted the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts on 3/12/12 and found that they had not received notification to send Nissan a bill from the RMV, which indicated that something occurred like my registration being canceled. Now, I am afraid that this would happen anytime and frequently. I would then have to pay for new registration, new plates and explain and prove to RMV that it’s not me and why its being canceled. This is a major problem for me. I have contacted the governors office, Attorney General, RMV and Nissan looking for help. I need assistance.

Out and about with my wife. Parked our Nissan Altima and returned one hour later. Car wouldnt start. Key symbol appeared on the dash. Walked home and retrieved other key fob. Still wouldnt start. Googled the issue and found out that hundreds of other Nissan Altima owners had same issue. Called Nissan, they took my info and got back to me the next day with a sorry, warranty has expired, we cant help you so $970.02 out of pocket. Im pissed! With the amount of occurrences, this issue should have been a recall at the expense of Nissan. I wont be buying another Nissan. How does one go about starting a class action suit?

Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one
Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one star as there is no Zero that I can provide as a rating. Purchased three Nissan Vehicles from our local dealership. 1st was a 2012 Frontier (SL). Fully certified with less than 6,000 miles in 2015. The following issue came to light AFTER I purchased the truck. Both front and rear bumpers had to be replaced due to damage from the sale person who we found out drove the truck to pull his boat. He off set the bumpers and caused the braces to be pulled down causing the bumpers to pull away from the frame. The brakes were replaced twice at a cost of $680 each time. The initial brake repair was not proper repaired as the dealership used third party parts. Actually told me that and then claim they were Nissan parts - but had faults. Cost me two brake jobs and complete bumper replacements and the story is just starting. When I felt unsafe in the vehicle I was going to sell it back to Nissan. That is when the adjuster informed me that the right side fender has been damaged and repaired. Also the front glass had been replace incorrectly. None of this was on the CARFAX, nor reported to me at the time of sale. Now my wife has a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle has portions of the front bumper pulling away from the body. The dealership informed me that my wife must have hit a parking block and dragged the frame over the block which has caused damage to the underside of the car. My wife may drive her car less than 3000 a year and SHE did it. No I think when they were preparing the car was sell they hit the lifting rack and caused the damage. The foot lift door doesnt work. No problem the dealership will tell you as they really never work correctly. NICE!I have a 2015 Frontier from the same dealership. I just purchased the vehicle less than one month ago as I need to have a truck. Stupid me - thinking that everything would go well. Fooled me again! Yesterday the truck would not start leaving me well out of my local area. When we tried to replace the battery I found that wires and the battery were so corroded that it needed to replace the wiring and the battery. That was a great cost of funds. What does the 100 point inspect include? So I have been a fool for the third times. This is my fault. But I want everyone to know that you need to find a solid dealership that respect you and values your business.

Complained to Nissan, these people in customer service was even more ridiculous, they said they did not change my battery last time, so they were not responsible for warranty claim. Horrible service and no accurate response to sudden failing brakes and light coming on. My car has been in government storage for over four years. My front driver and passenger side window rolls down but not up, the brake light comes on, and a grinding metal to metal sound is made, and sounds and feels like a spring is loose with no breaking control. Almost ran into a car the other day. I am in the military, this would not be good and this does not appear right. Next time it happens, will be taking it on base to see what the issue is. What I noticed is if you put the car in park, turn it off and restart it, it resets itself as if nothing ever happened. So, my plan is the next time it happens, to not reset it, record it, and drive all the way to the base to have them look at it, this could possibly if not, be a legal issue since the dealerships seem to think there is no issue and dont see a problem. Standby...for my next comments.

Shame on Nissan! I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated. My steering lock control unit went out and even though there was a petition to get this part recalled I had to pay for the part. It was past the warranty, but I was told that if I took my car to a dealership, I would get a fair review of my case by Megan, the regional consumer affairs specialist, in hopes of warranty assistance. She denied my claim in part because my 2009 Altima had not been to a dealership since 2011, implying that I was not a loyal customer. Why would I take my car to a dealership if there isnt any repairs that need to be done on it? I have owned FIVE , Nissans and bought 1 brand new car and 1 used car from Suntrup, not to mention personal recommendations. I have paid Nissan upwards of $40,000. If that isnt customer loyalty I dont know what is. Complaints have filed with the BBB, FTC, and NHTSA.

So the dealership said it will cost me $4300 to replace the transmission so I called Nissan Corporation Consumer Affairs and they said Im out of luck. They only warranty 100k miles Im 5000 miles over. What a piece of garbage company that puts out a bad product. No one expects a transmission to fail right around the 100k miles mark. Nissan 370Z is a great looking car with horrible storage space. Great acceleration but no sunroof, hatchback, and 2 door. Pretty easy to park cause its compact and small. I also like the color -- a silver grey. The body shape is sporty and looks great. I bought the car mostly because of the way it looked and the acceleration and the sportiness of it. I wish that it had a sunroof/T-top. Though those can be a pain in the butt. I hate the headlights. I think they should have been pop ups. I hate the hatch trunk. Nowhere near enough room. Seats are black cloth - very ugly. I hate that it doesnt come with a hatch cover. I have one that does not fit the car.

I had contacted Nissan regarding a shift lever failure on my 2008 Rogue. After sending in my information and then getting a reply from Nissan today, 9/7/12, (after several attempts to contact anyone), I was told by Nissan that they cannot help me with any financial help or warranty due to the part is not covered by any drivetrain warranty. As this part is not considered a drivetrain part and I am at 60,109 miles (1,009 miles over the 60,000 drivetrain warranty). It was added, additionally, that another main reason I was denied any help is I was told that I do not take my car to Nissan for any service, therefore, they cannot help me at Christopher Nissan in Woods Cross Utah. This sends a message to me that since I do not spend money at Nissan, there is not much they feel responsible for. I did have my CVT transmission serviced there as I feel it was important for the extended warranty to have it serviced. $180 on a transmission service that should only have cost no more than $75. I do my own maintenance on my cars and have completed the service needed on oil changes and rotating tires, etc. So Im not spending money at Nissan rubes wrong. From my view, the part that failed has nothing to do with service or maintenance and what I have spent at the dealer. It is related to the quality of a component. If anyone at Nissan would take time to read internet reviews on this subject, they would conclude there are many questionable concerns about this part on the Rogue and other Nissan models. So if this has come to a close about me not spending more money with Nissan to service my vehicle, I accept this and will not spend any more money with Nissan going forward. There are plenty of choices for me to where I spend my money and what car I buy. Signed, David **, one unhappy customer.

I had to go through the Philippines Call Center for about 3 weeks - back and forth - over 15 calls. This was only to find out that it had to be handled through the United States. At that point getting in contact with my Nissan representative was extremely difficult. I still have an open issue and will keep posting on social media until this is resolved. Such a poor system. I really believe we are doomed as a society after this experience. It started when the dealership in CT (Crowley Nissan) failed to provide me with a rental car after communicating to me twice that I could receive a rental car.I am a small business owner that works with the disabled and it nearly knocked my business out. I am very dissatisfied (obviously). They have already wasted my time that I wont get back - but I am still trying to get them to compensate for the rental car. I could take this into litigation - which I have made them aware of - but I am trying to mediate and be fair here. If anyone has any email addresses for upper to senior management for Nissan North America - or even beyond - please let me know.

The rear end has popping sound when the brakes are applied and the list of issues continue to grow. Purchased my first new vehicle, Nissan Frontier SV 4x4 Crew Cab. So far I have had 3 problems, Nissan has only covered one. I feel like instead of driving around in a new truck, I am driving a big, junk box now. Thanks so much for that feeling! No hole drilled for air conditioner drain. Water leaked all over the interior and blew out of every vent. Nissan fixed this. The paint on the rear wheel wells is literally falling off after 5,000 miles. After several frustrating attempts Nissan refuses to fix this, claiming it is environmental. The dealer even told me this is a design flaw that Nissan is not owning up to. The rear sonar now no longer works @ 8,000 miles. Nissan has basically told me No several times to the paint, claiming its environmental. I live on a normal street, happened at 5000 miles, none of the other cars on my street have this issue! I am at the end of my wits. I feel like not only do I not have a new car, but that Nissan stole $28,000.00 for me. If money were not an issue, Id dump this vehicle for a Chevy ASAP.

Oh yes and by the way, it was a recalled item at one time! Well gentlemen, I will not have this seat replaced and I will rely on the primary safety seat belt. I have 4 cars in my family, 2 of which are Nissans, and just for your info, I will NEVER and I mean NEVER buy another Nissan as long as I live or take it for service to Nissan. One last thing if I may. Why was I charged over $50.00 just to find out whose problem it was? Oh wait if it was Nissans problem you would absorb the cost but because it was not your problem you passed it on to me. Thank you for making my choice of vehicles in the future easier the next time because it WONT be a Nissan. In Feb. 2014 after an oil change at the dealer leased from, and with only 3,700 miles driven in less than a year, parked the car at a Parking Stall, in my development, car stopped, foot on the brake, while switching gears while parked and foot on the brake, while trying to shift gears from Drive to Park, car took off on its own, with an unintended acceleration and landed in the building in front of the parking spot (jumped the curb), causing an $8,000 damage to the vehicle that had no mechanical problems when purchased.Nissan Dealer when oil change, ran their inspection report and gave me a clean bill of health on this brand new car. I asked them about any recalls Nissan might have and all they said was, yes, the air bags are under recall, but you should BE FINE???? They did not have time to check they said, and when they ran their inspection report they said everything was fine...not sure how everything is fine when you only spend 15 minutes changing the oil and running inspection reports.I reported this accident to the dealer leased from and the dealer ignored me and said, we do not manufacture the vehicle. They were willing to RENT me another vehicle at $50 per day, or lease me a brand new one while I am still responsible for the lease in the malfunctioned vehicle, so they can profit from. No loaner offered. Reported this to Nissan Consumer Affairs, who I spent my personal time speaking with them for weeks and after several weeks of reporting this, they finally sent an investigator on 3/10, to the body shop where my vehicle is sitting not been able to repair, because Nissan Consumer Affairs was dragging their feet. Vehicle inspected for several hours on 3/10 and the latest from Nissan Consumer Affairs, sorry we cannot do anything for you until we get a report from the Nissan Investigator in a few weeks??? In the meantime, I am responsible for paying the lease payments and Nissan Lease company, offered me on option of getting out of the lease, if I paid them $6,000 since I have the lease for two more years, and never been late in payments. I know for a fact that I did not put my foot on the accelerator, while already stopped and lost control of the vehicle like this vehicle was possessed. The insurance company, is willing to give me the payment for repairs, but Nissan with their investigations prevented this, and needless to say, I am afraid after collision repairs to drive an unsafe vehicle that malfunctioned on its own. This vehicle obviously was not safe. If one of my neighbors was walking in front of this vehicle I could have killed someone, instead this vehicle was responsible for property damage and I have been without a vehicle that I am paying for over ONE MONTH.This has not only caused me time off work, medical bills for a head injury I did not know I had during this impact, but still have no solution and Nissan Consumer affairs seems too busy with other issues to worry about one more consumer complaining. If I was dead perhaps a better investigation will have taken place. How many other incidents have not been reported.

I had to have my 2009 370Z towed to the dealership twice. The dealership did not know the cause and the car just started after some testing. They released the car not knowing if it would do it again. 1-2 weeks later, on a Monday morning, the car did not start after my appointment with a client. The dealership, after weeks of review, could not test out or get the car started. In the meantime, I am working with a gal at consumer affairs. I told her what happened, and a week she called back stating they are not accepting the claim as if it were an owner maintenance issue and 3 months out of warranty. As we found, it was an electrical something in the steering column locking the car down as if it were being stolen. This is certainly not an owner maintenance issue and the car was only at about 32,000 miles. This little bit of time did not affect the outcome and certainly not the mileage. The problem is Nissan did not want to stand behind a known problem in other vehicles with the similar theft deterrent systems, but also because of the cost of replacing the whole steering columns - $1,200 plus. Welcome to my first Nissan experience. I will not buy another.

They constantly asked us to resend paperwork; didnt send paperwork to us unless requested multiple times; never called us back when they said they would including their supervisors. After nine hours at dealership, we got a new car home with no oil and no second key! It was 4 trips again back to dealership to finally get car proper and the key. Then, the finance dept has given me hassle 4 months in a row - promising change in due date every month, then not! I was told by the Finance dept. to call Nissan headquarters to file a complaint so we could trade in the car for another Nissan at a different dealer. It took 3 weeks for them to respond to me! We had to call daily and leave messages to finally get someone to tell us, too bad, sorry cant help you!

A Service Advisor left me in the waiting area 8 hours and still didnt do the work. Within that time frame only the oil and tires were changed. Rushing to get my car to me, a technician or other help misplaced a lug nut, then entered a charge on the invoice as it were missing when I got there. I filed a complaint about my experience to Nissan of North America Consumer Affairs who informed management of the complaint. And management didnt reply. After the unpleasant and unethical experience I had my vehicle service elsewhere.

We purchased a brand new 2015 Nissan Rogue in September of this year and were experiencing radio issues from the day we left the dealer lot. It came in very static sounding and we thought maybe we were just in an area with poor reception. As we continued to drive the problem continued in various areas. The sound is so bad that we dont even use the radio. Were forced to use the free XM subscription that is almost expired or the CD player. We brought our car into the dealer of purchase and they claimed to have fixed the issue but we still had the same problem. Being that the dealer we purchased from was far from our home, we took it to another dealer. It has been back twice since then and they have not been able to fix it saying that Nissan needs to release a software update and until they do that the problem cannot be fixed. We were given Nissans number to follow up with them and today (11/19/15) I received a call with the regional consumer affairs representative pretty much telling me that they dont have a solution. I asked her what the timeframe is and if they would offer any other answer besides others have been complaining of the same issue and theyre working on it but she kept repeating the same thing. No timeframe, no resolution, theyre working on it. I even asked if they would cover the satellite radio until the software update comes out to fix the problem and she said they would not. So now if I want to listen to anything besides a CD, Id have to take out more money to pay for the subscription. I completely understand that this isnt a mechanical or safety issue but when consumers are spending thousands of dollars on a brand new item that is warranted to work in a specific manner and the company is not standing behind their customer service, this is absolutely outrageous. I have never heard of something like this before. I paid for a brand new, fully functioning car and that is not what I received. Nissan should be truly ashamed at themselves for selling products like this and not even offering a resolution in the meantime. Horrible quality control, horrible customer service. I will definitely think twice before purchasing another Nissan specifically due to their poor customer service.

I took my vehicle in for an oil change and 60,000 mile tune up. For prevent measures the service technician advised me to have my transmission replaced. When i picked up the vehicle, I noticed within 5 miles a popping noise and hesitation during acceleration. The consequence was I had to take the vehicle back to Nissan and was told at that time that the Transfer Case had to be replaced, unneeded service and unneeded out of pocket expense. Dropped off my 2013 Nissan Versa for the CVT recall. After I left and got onto the 101 freeway my car went from 60 MPH to about 10 right in front of a Big Rig truck. We crawled toward the nearest exit and went back to the dealer. They said it needed a new transmission and would be 4000 dollars. At 51,000 my warranty was up since it had been a few months over 5 years. They said it was still driveable since I didnt have the cash to fork over so we left and almost got hit as the car stopped on La Brea and Fountain. As I was in extreme distress and by the grace of God we were able to pull into an urgent care lot and the ladies said we could park the car there until we got a tow truck. This was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me and now I am unable to go anywhere as I have no car. Nissan... SHAME ON YOU!!!

The national corporate Nissan office surprised me with their response. I had called simply to vent about my treatment at Pohanka Nissan in Fredericksburg, VA. I did not expect them to actually stand behind their product. They listened politely to me and said they would review the problems and get back to me.They called me daily with updates and totally resolved it within a week by compensating me 100% of the transmission replacement. They were amazing as I never expected this response. The only reason that I did not change their rating to 5-stars was the horrible treatment by their Fredericksburg, VA dealership, Pohanka. They were rude and incompetent. For examples on Pohanka, they deceitfully tried to sell my wife higher grade oil changes than recommended by the manufacturer. Just this week, I had to repair a vacuum hose that my Goodyear mechanic said almost certainly resulted from poor installation of the transmission last month by Pohanka. The Pohanka Service Representative actually blamed me for the failure of the $3,800 transmission - you can only guess how that went over with me.I have dealt with many Nissan dealerships and have been very pleased with all but Pohanka. The obvious solution is to continue to buy Nissan products but not from Pohanka. Nor would I recommend that anyone services their car with Pohanka. Again, I was not happy about the transmission but the National Corporate Nissan office was amazing in resolving the problem to our satisfaction. They won me back big time with their incredible response to back up their product with a long term customer.

2 problems I am having with this car....1.) I will be driving down a freeway for about 20 minutes.... Go to get off freeway and stop at a light.... Wait for light to change and car will not go over 2-3 mph for about 30-45 seconds then all of a sudden jumps up to 15 mph from my foot being on the gas pedal which has almost caused a few car accidents. 2.) I recently moved to California from Arizona and on my trips back and forth, the car after an hour of driving will all of a sudden slow down from 80 mph to 35-45 mph in a 75 mph speed zone. Happens going up hills even the slightest incline in the road and once you go down hill it will slowly start to speed up.I drive around with 2 children in the car ages 4 and 5.... This is so beyond dangerous and blows my mind that Nissan will not do ** about it. I have taken it to Nissan dealerships, mechanics and everyone says... I dont know what it is. I even took my iPad in showing a YouTube video of a gentleman that was driving having the same problem!!! And they still said, I dont know. I am beyond pissed and want a class action lawsuit against Nissan for having defaulted vehicles out there and not doing anything about it. Go online and its page after page of people having the same issue. Nissan get off your lazy ass and fix this problem!!

Went to the local dealership twice for assistance in obtaining a nav update for my 2013 Pathfinder. Got bounced between the Head of Service and Parts multiple times and was finally told I guess you have to go online. Well after searching for about two hours I came across a Nissan page with a map update promising to be the latest and guaranteed to work on my vehicle. I placed that order. This was on a Friday morning. As I checked out and finalized the order I was redirected to none other than the main site for Nissan Nav updates that I had been searching for on the web for hours. Unfortunately, running my nav and vin showed that the order just placed was a three year old update. Finally found the correct update, ordered it and placed a call to customer service to cancel the first order. Sat on hold for an hour and got cut off. So I sent an email to customer service explaining the problem. No luck speaking to anyone Saturday when they stated they were open just another hour on hold, Monday evening sat on hold for an hour till someone picked up. Was helpful and said hed put me on hold for a few minutes and text instructions to return the first order on their dime when it arrived, and oh, by the way he said that one would NOT work in my vehicle. After about 3 minutes I got a fast busy, then a long squeal and then sat on hold in silence for another 45 minutes till I gave up. Now another email to customer service - their response was when it arrives call customer service - thanks but no thanks - Ive filed a complaint with Paypal which I used to pay the first order. Will try again tomorrow. I know for a FACT Toyota, Chevy, Ford, even Hyundai and Kia have customer service that is FAR superior to Nissan, this was the last thing I expected, God help me if I ever have a real problem. This will be my last Nissan. It is back to Toyota, Chevy or Ford for this man, Ive had them all, plus Hyundai and Kia all have better service and run just as good and have just as few, likely less problems and the body integrity on all of them is much better.

Nissan consumer affairs is a JOKE! Purchased a used 2011 Nissan Murano convertible from a Chevy dealer. Before the purchase though I made an appointment and brought the car to the local Nissan to have a pre-purchase inspection done from dealership the car was orig sold and maintained from. Got the thumbs up. I asked if there were any major issues. Was told no. Asked if I could get a print out of all services completed and was told I could not have that but the service tech read to me minor repairs that were done. So I purchased the car. 2 months into owning the vehicle the convertible top stops working... Come to find out the top on this vehicle had already been replaced at 12k miles and was brought in several times for complaints with the convertible top not opening properly. Now we have a car that the top DOES NOT WORK and they say it will cost $17,000.00 in parts to repair... This does NOT include labor. Nissan doesnt feel they are responsible for this repair. How can you expect a consumer to spend SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS + labor to repair a car worth 24K when it is clearly a known issue with this vehicle? We even found a bulletin Nissan published stating known issues with the top. This is the most unbelievable thing I have ever come across. NISSAN was my very first vehicle. Ive always thought they were great vehicles. I will never EVER purchase or recommend to ANYONE to ever buy a Nissan. We will be wrapping the car as a lemon and serving free lemonade out of it. DO NOT PURCHASE NISSAN.

I own a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5L. The vehicle was purchased used back in March 2006. It had 27k miles on it. Through the years, it has been serviced at a Nissan dealership in Mt. Holly, NJ. In March 2011, a service engine soon (PO420) appeared. The cat converter was replaced along with plugs. The invoice was $1,132.92. The vehicle had 121k miles. Today, it has 152k miles and another service engine soon pointing to the same PO420. I am told it needs another cat. Thats only 31k miles on the replacement. I am aware of the original federal warranty on catalytic converters - 8 years or 80k miles - and that Nissan replacement parts carry only a 12-month / 12k mile warranty. However, as both a consumer as well as a logical person, since the original converter lasted 120k miles and 9-10 years, the replacement should have been comparable. My decision to keep the car at that point may have been different had I known of the unreliability of the replacement. Additionally, my vehicle is now experiencing excessive oil consumption - one quart every seventy-five miles. This obviously is a result of the degradation of the cat, particles of which have worked their way into the cylinders and scored the walls. This has occurred about a month ago since the second service engine soon light. I have contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs (Case# **) who offer no assistance. I have also reached out to Mr. Brian **, Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing of Nissan North America. I havent had the courtesy of a response. This company has lost me as a loyal customer. They will advertise otherwise, but Im sure that they really couldnt care less.

About a month ago I noticed the A/C on my Nissan Livina was having issues cooling the cabin and that the temp was not as cold as it used to. I know this because I rarely use the number 3 setting and never use the number 4 fan level of the blower. I had to Despite how high the setting was the air was not as cold as its supposed to be. My wife even noticed that the air was somewhat humid instead of crisp and cool. I figured it just needed cleaning. I was planning to have that done on its next scheduled check up which was only a couple of more weeks.About a week later, I noticed a dark stain on the front passenger carpet. I thought someone must have stepped on an oil stain and accidentally smeared it on the carpet. When I tried to check and see what it was, it was cold to the touch. I immediately removed the carpeting and noticed there was a small pool of water collecting on the floor. I tried to crank up the air conditioner and noticed that water was dripping from under the passenger side dashboard. I tried to look for the leak and had difficulty finding it. Thats when I decided to bring my car to a local A/C shop to have it checked. When I got to shop, I explained what was going on and the repairman assured me that the drainage just needed some cleaning. He said that the procedure was required pumping compressed air through the drainage to clear the blockage. As the repairman was going about the process, he had a difficult time locating the drainage as he was not really familiar with the make of my car. When he finally found where it was, he said that he cant clean it without taking the dash apart. At that point, I became iffy and decided not to push through with the repair, instead, take it to the dealership to get a better assessment of the problem. The following day, I went to Nissan to have it checked. By noon time, I realized my worst fear and they said that the evaporator is leaking and needed to be replaced. They estimated that the repair would entail replacing the evaporator and some other valves. The total damage was about $1,000. The service attendant was kind enough to get me a discount for the parts and labor and got about $100 off. I got my car back the following day and the air conditioner was good as new - it even had a new car smell to it. I love Nissans service and I will not consider looking at any third party repair outfit again. Im going with the professionals, even if the price point is a little bit higher than the rest. Thanks Nissan.

I own a 2008 Nissan Rogue. I bought it brand new and drove it off the dealership lot with 8 miles on it. It has every feature that was offered at the time of purchase. I bring it into a dealership for each and every service that has ever been needed (including something as simple as new brakes). I wanted to make sure it was always done right. It was the 3rd brand new Nissan in my household. I thought Nissans were known for their high quality and dependability, but thats not really the case. I did some research and found out that there is a known issue with the CVT transmission in this year and model. So common in fact Nissan, rather than recall all vehicles with this known issue, Nissan decided to extend (double) the warranty (10 years or 120k miles). This vehicle has less than 100k miles on it and its 10+ years old. Two weeks ago the transmission failed. At 99k I am well within the 120k miles BUT, I took delivery in late 07 for this new 08 so I am being told by Nissan North America that I am outside the warranty by 5 months. Because of being a loyal customer excited for the new model year, I am now being penalized and told they cannot cover 100% of the cost of the new transmission. Really? Really! So be warned of getting excited about buying the new model year BEFORE the actual year. It might come back to haunt you later on. Had they actually recalled it, it would have shown up on my report each time I brought the car in for service and I wouldnt be dealing with this issue and having to pay anything for a new transmission. Disappointing to say the least for such a known/common issue.

I am a current leaser of a Nissan Murano since November of last year. On June 2011, my automatic payment was withdrawn ahead of time, giving me difficulties with my budget. I spoke with a representative and canceled the automatic payments. On July 3, 2011, I sent a check of $831.93 to cover two months payments. However, for unknown reason check was delayed and I was receiving calls from different representatives everyday. On July 13, I got tired of the calls so I paid by phone and told them if they receive a check, do not cash it. On July 14, they cashed they check with the same amount, making my account go overdraft. On Friday, I spoke to Elvira, she told me I was going get the money back the next day, nothing happened. The next week I called with my complaint but people put me on hold and never came back to the line.I spoke with supervisor Darling and she told me I was gonna have my check the next day. Two days passed-by, nothing happened. I was hungry, with no transportation no money for food or gas and my account was overdraft. I called and spoke with Tamy, Megan, Steven, Carla, Karen, Rick and nobody did anything. I have struggled with no money. For almost two weeks everyday they said tomorrow you will receive a check. I reported to Consumer Affairs, it was useless. After almost 2 weeks I received my refund check, but no check for the overdrafts. The supervisors Rick and Darling, promised me that they will refund me the overdrafts. I checked my bank statement but nothing until now. I keep on calling them, they are never at the office. Representatives told me they gonna contact them and return my phone call and nothing. I am so disappointed at Nissan, this situation has put me on 2 weeks struggle of food, gas and transportation. Representatives of Nissan have ignored my complaints and lied to me, made fun of me with false statement, and put my economy in jeopardy. I will submit my complaint of this horrible action to any Nissan web site and complaints site as well if I do not receive a result.

I bought a 2014 Pathfinder in January of 2017. It was just out of warranty by mileage and the ABS computer went bad. The Nissan Dealership here locally was very nice and helpful and had never seen this issue before. It is unsafe and unreliable because the speedometer, gas gauge, and the 4-wheel drive do not work when experiencing this issue (I live in a snowy area so I do need the 4 wheel drive to turn on when those conditions are present). I would also say that 36k miles and one prior owner with a clean CarFax Report is a bit early for the ABS computer to fail and so I do believe this is a manufacturing issue with the unit failing prematurely.I completely understand that once the car is out of warranty, Nissan does not have to do anything to help out. However, given the nature of the issue and how recently the car was out of warranty (and only by mileage), I would have thought they would be able to help out in some way. For instance, taking care of the labor or even just giving the dealership a direct purchase cost on the part without a markup. The part is $1400 and the labor is $600. I would have been happy with a minor discount on the repair. However, as other reviewers have commented, the consumer affairs department of Nissan exists to read you the warranty terms. This is my first Nissan, which I bought because of the name and associated reliability, but I will never buy another Nissan after this experience.

Well here goes. Nissan car/van owners beware. Their customer service and warranty is horrendous. And without a doubt they have an issue with the engines, same recall as Toyota but instead of calling it a recall they are simply finding an excuse to revoke your warranty and make you pay for the new engine. We’ve owned nothing but Nissans since 1996. Our 2 year old passenger van with 56k Miles started burning oil. No engine warning light came on, no low oil warning light, nothing. We brought it to the dealership three times for oil level tests, then they took the van last Monday to do more tests. They don’t pay for a rental, don’t give you a comparable rental so I’m in a 5 passenger car. They then tell us it needs a $12,000 new engine and warranty was revoked because we are missing one receipt. I’ve spoken to at least 9 people at Nissan Corporate. No one can do anything because Nissan Warranty is not “customer facing.” Their decision is final. So, our van will get its new engine. We’ll suck up the cost then trade it in for something new. NOT NISSAN.

Received a vehicle with no spare tire, broken windshield and peeled off window tint (and some other minor stuff). Now you may think ok, nbd, theyll fix it. Thats what we thought when we accepted the vehicle with deficiencies. And we thought that because thats what they said they would do. But they wont. We have been trying since May 10th....yes, almost 3 months. 3 months of ignored phone calls, not returning messages, having to go in numerous times to see them in person and we are no closer to having any of our concerns addressed.Id advise caution against Mark **, the finance manager. He is dishonest, disorganized and has given us false assurities many times. Him we regret dealing with the most. Id avoid dealing with Austin **, one of the managers. Same thing. Speaking with him can best be described as a complete waste of time. We have decided that we will no longer chase after them. Cant keep wasting time calling and driving over constantly. Weve lodged a complaint with Nissan Canada and BBB so hopefully something comes of that. We will fix the deficiencies elsewhere and pay for it, even though it was threatened that doing that will void our warranty. They love to hold you hostage. Long read, but hopefully it will save somebody from making the same mistakes we did. *If you refer to them, they dont actually pay a referral fee as advertised. That is a false advertisement.

I sent my payment in 10/12/2011. I got a call from Nissan saying, I was late with my payment. I have never been late in my life, and it upset me to the point I could not function the rest of the day. I tried to make a payment over the phone, and was hung up on by Jorge. I was put on hold by another, for 45 minutes. On top of a late charge, which was not my fault, I was charged a processing fee. I am on social security only, and every penny counts. I also told them I never got a statement for November. It took over 1 1/2 hours to resolve this. Needless to say, I am really upset. Also I hate your automated system. It gets things wrong all the time. I just want to speak to a real person.

I initially took in my 2008 Nissan 350Z roadster convertible to Tony Nissan
I initially took in my 2008 Nissan 350Z roadster convertible to Tony Nissan to have them repair the convertible roof because it is not fully closing into its compartment. They looked at it and eight hours later, said that they couldnt find anything wrong with it. They even showed me that it was working before leaving.Later that day, I wanted to test it out for myself. And much to my dismay, the same problem occurred. Being busy with work, etc., I wasn’t able to take it back in immediately. I was under warranty and thought I had time (my mileage at the time was under 36K). When I took it again (about a month and a half later) stating that it was not fixed, they tried to charge me for $350.00 just to look at it because now, my warranty had expired. I was under the impression that my warranty was going to expire at 60K or five years. Of course, I refused to pay that outrageous fee and left.I then returned at Tony Nissan with my husband and he demanded to speak to a manager. They looked at my vehicle at no cost but said they needed to contact Nissan corporate to get an approval to cover the cost of the repair. Three weeks thereafter, Nissan denied my claim stating that 1) I didnt have enough history with maintaining my vehicle and 2) my warranty is expired. This is such an incredible injustice for Nissan should have fixed the problem initially while my vehicle was under warranty. My vehicle is maintained immaculately with regular oil changes, etc. I intend to sue Nissan corporate and Tony Nissan to recoup the costs to repair my vehicle. Furthermore, I will not trust any brand with the Nissan name.

I purchased a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder in October of 2008, with about 20,000
I purchased a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder in October of 2008, with about 20,000 miles from Stockton Nissan. About 3 years ago the VDC Off light came on. I took the car to Stockton Nissan to have the transmission flushed and asked them about the light (The car had less than 60,000 miles at the time). Was given an estimate of $1500 for the ABS Actuator Sensor/Pump and $600 to install for a whopping total of $2100.00. I declined because other than the Idiot lights the car runs good and the mechanical gauges all check out. Then the BRAKE light and ABS light. Then the check engine lights started coming on and off and the speedometer and odometer would go on and off with them. However, my car registration is due in December of this year so I need to smog it. I took it to a shop and they charged me $400 to replace the speed sensor on the right front tire. It smogged, but 400 dollars later I still have all of the Idiot Lights off and no speedometer or odometer. I have contacted the Nissan Consumer 800 number 3 different times. Nothing was done. This should be a RECALL since other Nissan owners are having the same issues. I guess since it is not a SAFETY ISSUE, Nissan can get away with ignoring this issue. This is my 4th Nissan AND WILL BE MY LAST NISSAN, unless this issue is addressed by Nissan. By the way, this is first review/complaint I have ever written.
