New Mercedes-Benz coupe concept is designed for the virtual world
Posted On: September 30, 2022
Mercedes-Benz this week unveiled a concept celebrating a partnership with "League of Legends" and the video game's Riot Games publisher. The concept is strictly for the virtual world, and as a result the design team, led by Mercedes design chief Gorden Wagener, could create elements not possible in the real world. "Because of the virtual space, there are no limits to what we can do, which means we can push boundaries and give our creativity the space for the unexpected,” Wagener said in a statement. The concept is a dramatic coupe that looks like it is made from glass, including the wheels which are perhaps protected by some protective shield. The concealed wheel design may or may not be a nod to Audi's RSQ concept from 2004, whose proportions are somewhat similar to the Mercedes. While the Audi RSQ appeared in the 2004 sci-fi film “I, Robot,” Mercedes' concept features in a music video tied with the 2022 "League of Legends" World Championship tournament which runs in North America from Oct. 29 to Nov. 5. Mercedes since 2020 has been the exclusive automotive partner of Riot Games, and in 2021 Wagener and his team designed the championship ring for the "League of Legends" Championship. The ring features tiny Mercedes stars, as well as a synthetic diamond made from CO2 captured from the atmosphere. “Winning the hearts of gaming fans is an exciting challenge,” Britta Seeger, Mercedes' head of sales and marketing, said in a statement. “Together with Riot Games we are in the best condition to inspire the community and to successfully shape the future of esports.”

I have a 2013 e350 convertible with approximately 8000 miles. I have had a problem with the windows on both sides. When I close the windows, they do not stay closed. They drop down about 2 inches and cannot be closed. This causes rain to seep into the car and cause damage. I have brought the car to Mercedes dealers on 5 separate occasions and they were unable to solve the problem. They have now told me that they are working on a fix in Germany and can give me no timetable as to when it will be ready. They have refused to replace the car. They told me I should use a manual override to keep the windows closed. I feel taken advantage of and am pursuing recourse through the Florida lemon law. I would like to hear from others who have had this problem. Thank you.

Bought New 2009 C300. Only has 40,000 miles. Biggest junk we ever owned. Driver seat came apart. Paint on front bumper cover and all door handles peeling off (all plastic areas). Dealer agreed to repaint. After 1 year its happening again (Color is Mars Red). Car went into lock mode and wouldnt start. Had to be flat bedded to dealer. Blower motor for heat/air burned out. SRS system set off trouble codes dealer. Said bad seat belt parts. Car is out of warranty and have to pay for everything. Never owned such a junk!Bought New ML250 Bluetec Diesel. Just turned 20,000 miles on 4/4/17. Driving down road and starting surging. Went a little further down road and surging again. This time smelling Diesel fuel. Started smoking from under hood. Car broke down. Had to be flat bedded into dealer. Dealer said Fuel leak and all other related damage from fuel spraying on engine is due to rodent damage and warranty is not covering anything. Want to charge me $4500 to $5000 for repair.I dont believe there was any rodent damage and the fuel leak was caused by faulty parts. We drive the car every day. It doesnt sit around. I also drove it all day on 4/4/17 and this happened at 2:30 pm after driving all morning. I opened hood on roadside to make sure it wasnt on fire. Didnt see any signs on rodent nesting or anything. The car is under warranty and extended warranty and they wont cover anything. This is terrible customer service/relations. We are done with Mercedes-Benz. We will tell everyone we know. What is the sense of having warranty when they wont honor it. Rodent or not. Fix it. Warranty it. Its called customer service. What about the oil leak recall... which we havent got. I say that ruined the wires or harness and the oil ate through and that caused the problem. MB wont own up to these problems. When the MB Rep called me back she agreed with the dealers decision. Terrible. We are talking about New Vehicles $100,000 worth of JUNK. Our lawyer will be getting informed of these issues. We also filed a complaint with NHTSA.

I bought for my daughter (16Y) a GLC300 for 60K in Delray Mercedes with no park aid assist (bip bip bip), amazing nobody telling me that I need to buy a totally useless package in US named active parking assist to have this, absurd. Bought a year old pre owned. In the 2 years of ownership I have only had 1 repair needed. And I drive more than 12k per year. Former car was a couple of 750LIS and they were in repair shop at least once a month for various small and pricey repairs. All were under warranty but I knew to offload them before warranty ran out. Build quality of the S550 is exceptional and without compromise. It is extremely comfortable and quite brisk. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Rotor/breaks were changed after the car failed to stop on the highway. The car (Mercedes 2015 C300 4matic) has 2k miles. The vehicle didnt display any warning messages or lights indicating something was wrong with the car. This is the second time car has been returned to dealer. How I got here? When car was returned the first time, February 2015, the car had about 700 miles. My complain: It doesnt feel right driving the car. The worse is when I drive down in the parking garage in a deep decline as I am turning right I hear the cracking/squeaking noise. Dealer repaired exhaust; it was not mounted correctly from the factory. Also, I was told the car is new and rotor needs to be used - give the car some time. After I picked up the car, by the end of February 2015, I called and informed the service department that exhaust was not the problem. Car has the same issues. I called and followed up with the service department in several occasions, texted and even e-mailed a video of the problem to show in real time that the cracking squeaking noise has not been fixed and I as explained back then, it is getting worse. It felt driving in the wrong shift. Dealer said they will get back to me, but never did despite the fact I called several time. Car was not used March-April 2015 due to personal reasons. Early June 2015, brakes failed as I am driving on the highway @50 miles/hour. I live and drive in the city, usually about 10-30 miles/hour (rush hours). After the rotor/brake repair, I asked if this issue had to do with my prior complaints. I was told that there is nothing in the file to suggest that the cracking/squeaking noise was not fixed the first time car was returned, nor shows any calls or correspondence with the service department. I was told that I didnt complain about the brakes. I am not a mechanic, nor I pretend to be, I said to dealer. When I complained about the car, I expected the dealer to identify the problem. I even took a video as I was driving so they can see and listen to cracking squeaking sound of the car.Although dealer has replaced brake and rotor, I have not heard a word about the cracking squeaking sound. Also sometimes when I reverse the car it dials somehow SOS call center. Yes, a new 2015 C300, 2k miles, several issues including major safety concerns ones. Anyone is experiencing this issues? I am a woman, and the reason I have only purchased new cars is so I dont have to worry about things I dont understand. Instead, I feel trapped and scared. I have contacted MB-USA. Looking forward to hearing from them.

WORTHLESS 2019 Mercedes Benz C300. Purchased a brand new 2019 Mercedes Benz at the end of July 2019 with only 20 miles. The car stopped accelerating and was towed to the dealership Oct. 4 2019. The fuel pump was replaced, there were loose bolts/wires, the trunk latch was fixed and for some reason they replaced the charge air cooler which had nothing to do with the original issue. Picked my car up around 4:30pm October 10th, drove it 40 minutes home and the Low Coolant Warning light comes on. Immediately notified the dealership and my car was towed BACK to the dealership around 8am October 11th. They first stated that I needed a new water pump but then said that there were wires loose in the dashboard so they removed the dash and fixed it.While my car was in the care of the dealership about 60 miles were added onto my leased car and they ran over a nail. So my tire had to be replaced also. Finally received my car back around 4:30pm after work on October 16th, drove 30 minutes and the low coolant light popped on yet again. Immediately notified the tech and he stated that someone will pick my car up Friday October 18th. No one came to pick up my car and now I have an scheduled appointment for Tuesday October 21st. During this time, I have spoken to the managers at the dealership which directed me to file a complaint with Mercedes Benz and I did.I spoke to two customer reps which the first rep named Jack hung up on me. The second rep escalated my call to a manager named Roman whom said he would call me back but never did. It’s ridiculous that I am held to paying my money for a car that I have not had for three months on top of the fact that it’s been out of my possession for most of the month of October, added mileage that I will never get back on a leased car and continuous problems on a NEW 2019 Mercedes Benz.

Please note that while this review pertains to a 2008 C300, I have spoken to owners of two newer model C300s, and the consensus among us is that reliability is far less than expected, and repairs are more frequent and more costly than we anticipated. Since owning this car, I have replaced several very expensive components, including a drive shaft and steering lock. During a single year, my repairs totaled $3,000. During the following year, repairs were $2,000. These are just two examples of a lengthy list of costly non-maintenance repairs. When I questioned the dealership about this track record, the salesman said, When customers ask me this, I tell them that its to be expected with a high-quality vehicle. TRANSLATION: You arent the only one whos had this experience. For me, the C300 is a low quality vehicle with a fancy emblem on the hood. I will never consider this brand again. If you decide to buy Mercedes, review buyer experiences before you do. You may save yourself a lot of heartache - and a lot of money.

How do you have an extended warranty that ends and you havent used your original warranty. Then there is no warranty. Any car you buy now gives more than Mercedes. Its a 2006 Mercedes R350 with 63,000 miles. All recommended service was performed at the suggested mileage, including regular oil changes every 4,000 miles (synthetic oil). Engine started making ticking sound when running. I put it in for service at Park Place Mercedes. They replaced a pulley at a cost of $700, and did not solve ticking sound. Mechanic informed me that ticking sound was normal. Of course, I did not agree, but was unable to convince them otherwise. Two months later, It had complete engine failure, without warning. The cost of repair is $15,000 (same as value of car). I requested assistance from Park Place Mercedes and Mercedes USA since the car was out of warranty. Park Place Mercedes denied any assistance in fear they could be held responsible for missed diagnosis 2 months earlier. Mercedes USA offered $2,000 toward repair and since has rescinded the offer and indicated they would provide $2,000 toward the purchase of a new Mercedes. What am I to do?

The blind spot sensors are a godsend. My wife is a fairly new driver who I know doesnt check her blind spots as well as she should. The alert makes me feel much better about her driving. The vehicle has several modes that affect acceleration and handling. The only 2 that really matter are Comfort and Sport. Sport really brings out the power in the vehicle, and Comfort provides a smooth ride for daily driving. The interior has a premium feel to it while providing a comfortable experience.

When you paid premium price for purchasing and routine maintenance of a MB 350E, you expect a solid car with good quality. You would be wrong! My 2011 MB 350E has shown poor quality of materials. The control buttons of the steering wheel were wrapped with a piece of plastics and starting smearing. Moreover, the car seat cover has been torn apart, while the main driver of the car is lighter than 120 lb and the car has been parked mostly in garages. You can see that in the attached photos. I have never seen a premium car deteriorated so early so fast. It seems that the car was built with too many low quality artificial materials, or plastics, and not built to last! Maybe MB is expecting people to spend money every other year to buy a new one. Well, with such poor quality, people may have to to buy a new car in a year or two after an MB, but another brand!

The consumer who purchases such a vehicle should not experience their operating car keys to fall apart from normal usage.

A few years following the purchase of the car, the thread on my steering wheel began to unravel, at which time I replaced the steering wheel. The same situation has occurred again, necessitating the replacement of the steering wheel for the second time in 54,000 miles. In an effort to appease me, Mercedes-Benz has offered me a whopping $150 toward the cost of putting in the 3rd steering wheel on this supposedly top-of-the-line vehicle. In view of their response, I feel that Mercedes does not stand behind their products, which are sold at premium prices yet often contain inferior workmanship.

I bought a brand new, 2012 SLK350 on September 8, 2012. Within two days, a seat belt malfunction indicator appeared on the dashboard. I took it to the dealer on September 13 and was informed that the seat belt needed to be replaced, and parts needed to ordered/delivered from Germany. After multiple stories and repeated calls to the dealership about how long it would take, I finally got my car back on October 4th, almost one month of not being able to drive a brand new car that I had purchased for the proverbial $64,000. I have spent more than $60k for this car 2 years ago. I have 59k miles on the car. Last 3 months, I have engine light coming on on the dashboard. Took 3 times to local Lakeland dealer. Explained 1st time that it was just the software update requirement and paid $150. 2nd time was advised that there is lack of Blutec fluid which was wrong because there was no sign on the dashboard for that. 3rd was another reason, Problem with the oxygen sensor. The estimate to change the sensor is $950.At 3rd time I found the oil leak in my garage so the tech checked out and mentioned that the oil leak is from engine and it is 13 to 14 hours job to fix because top half of the engine needs to be removed. Total cost is $2600 for this job. Total $3500 expense after paying 60k for the luxury car. I have several other cars like Chevy Venture and Lexus 470 and more than $100000 car and took to the dealer for just oil change or tire change. Ive been working with the HQ in NJ to get it covered under warranty because it is just 9000 over the limit of 50k warranty manufacturer provide. Is this a red signal to buy a luxury car and take to the dealer more often because it has more electronics?? Or is it just Mecedes c350???

This car has had 2 (two) safety related issues in less than 3,000 miles of ownership. Mercedes-Benz is fully aware of these issues but is not fixing the problems. Both Mercedes-Benz and their dealerships do not understand the importance of tracking software on cars and fixing it to avoid problems. Our emergency braking system was shut down by the computer due to software problems. MB should have been able to proactively update the software in order to avoid this problem just based upon the VIN number and production dates. I am waiting for the 3rd safety issue so I can return this car to them under the Lemon Law. Dealerships should be staffed by people who are technically savvy as well as mechanics. Mercedes-Benz is delivering a substandard product due to lack of responsible practices after the product leaves the factory. Do not purchase or lease a GLA250 or believe the reporting on the internet that the 2016 models had safety issues address by the company. Its simply not true.

Happy Saturday evening. My prayer is that Mr. Stephen Cannon reads this email and as president and CEO works to resolve this problem. I own a 2006 R 350. My problems started with the suspension air parts that cause the car to look as if it has a flat tire, when it doesnt. It looks as if the tire-rods or shocks have failed. With this problem, when one goes bad and you fix it, the other automatically goes bad, so you MUST change BOTH sides. This is not a cheap repair. Actually, nothing about MB is a cheap repair. Once I had that done, the CAM shaft went bad. For this my car has been in the shop for the past 3.5 months. Now after practically rebuilding the engine, the problem is still not resolved. It cant be resolved, because all the parts were manufactured bad so when you replace one part something else goes bad. Ive found online that most if not all of the 06 and 07 R class models have had this same problem, MB is aware and have not recalled the cars. Over $6000 worth of new parts and labor, yet my car is still not fixed. These cars or at least mine should be recalled and the owners should be reimbursed for this literal pain and suffering. I have been terminated from my job and unable to get another because I dont have transportation. This was not my first MB. I have had 4, but this certainly may be my last if I cannot get any resolution to this. I have sent 2 emails. This is the 3rd to MB and was assigned a case manager. She called me 2 times. Ive called her more than 10 times. All I get is a person on the phone that says, I see that you left her a message. Is this the number where you can be reached? I say yes and that ends the call. Ok she will call you today. I attempted to reach MB via a BBB complaint, but they arent affiliated. LOST WITH A R-CLASS LEMON. Its sad that you dont acknowledge that these cars are lemons, but then again you do acknowledge, because you have discontinued the model. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta refused to correct the problem and now that I just reached the 125,000 miles limit, they are telling me the cost is $7000 while MB USA settlement letter clearly states that the reasonable cost is $4000 minus MB USA discount from settlement. While I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta, I am willing to give them the opportunity to redeem themselves. After my car had A3 service at the Lonestar Mercedes-Benz dealership in Calgary, Canada on June 21, 2016, the car started an oil leak. The car was diagnosed of a problem with the dipstick seal on July 27. However, it wasnt the real problem after the second check up was done in August 4. The dealer told me that it was the oil cooler seal which is a completely different thing. The problem wasnt really solved since I found the car still had an oil leak the next day and had to send it back to the dealer again. The worst thing was when I picked up the car on August 10, 2016. There was a big crack found on the windshield which was not on the car when I dropped it off at the dealership. Jeff, a customer service mgr, immediately denied and said that it wasnt their responsibility without even investigating the problem thoroughly. I was told that they can only replace the windshield at my own cost, and has formed no room for negotiation. Followed by a conversation with Doug, an operation mgr, who insisted that they wouldnt take responsibility, but would like to share the cost. After a couple of hours of discussion, the thing turned out to a disagreement of what they offered as I strongly think my car was under the dealers roof when it was being repaired. The dealers must be responsible for the problem they caused. How come I have to pay the damage that I didnt do anything about! The issues just keep coming with this dealer. These guys hang up phones, and even impolitely terminated the conversation and left me alone in the office. I felt bullied when they said, We will only give you this offer whether you accept it or not, the offer is firm and unchanged. I dont need any offer. What I need is the full compensation for the damage occurred at the dealer shop!

Then 500 miles into the car and it got suddenly broken. The car wont even start so I had to towed it into the dealership. I have a Benz E350 2006. I just had a new transmission put in at over $6,000.00...... My check engine light then went on of which I was told it was the balance shift gears. (Mercedes-Benz currently has a class action lawsuit complaint filed for this issue for some of their cars with this problem as well as faulty engines & idle gears..... CONSUMERS... check this out... Do your research! I will be joining the class action lawsuit when I get my car back.) It was then going to cost me $5,500.00 by a Mercedes Benz dealership to replace the Balance Shift gears.... I also had an auxiliary battery replaced AND 2 cam sensors to see if the check engine light would go off.... It did not. I now have to replace the Balance Shift gears so my car will pass emissions inspection. The Mercedes Benz car I own, based on my experiences, IS NOT worth buying. Mercedes Benz needs to be responsible for faulty equipment. Mercedes Benz DOES NOT have the reputation it use to, in my opinion. I will never buy another Benz.

I went there to purchase a GL 450 2015. The purchase was all cash. We agreed on the price and after waiting for the finance guy to clean up his desk which took a lot of time, we were ready to sign the papers. After two hours being in that dealership the sales manager came and informed us that the general manager wants us to sign a paper and also put $10000 security deposit in order to make sure that we are not going to ship the car to China for two years and then they will return the deposit. They even took a copy of my Dental license. I objected the security deposit, in the beginning after consulting with someone they agreed to the signing a paper and copy of my license. After signing almost 90% of the paperwork the guy got a phone call and then told us they cannot go ahead with the deal. We wasted more than two hours in that dealership and felt very insulted. The General manager think everybody is a criminal otherwise they prove they are not... just not American way.

I got a new C200 around 2010 and been driving for 6 years now. This model is good till the use of 130,000 Km. After that start having minor fault but very critical for safety. The car stopped at junctions or traffic lights whenever it went into idle mode. After checking with some local service they advise to change Air Mass sensor and it was almost fixed!! So far I am very satisfied with this brand.

Hi T. of Sacramento, THANK YOU for posting!! It is very interesting to read your input and observations based on your extensive experience with MB. Your example of the 2009 model year differential oil issue is concerning. I am in Canada, own a 2006 E350 4matic wagon, and it is my first MB ever. The car is super in handling, comfort, braking, quietness.... like nothing I have owned before. However, I have just been realizing from the forums and from approaching MB dealers that it can be a harrowing experience for the whole family when trying to get an issue fixed fairly. Is it possible for you to share with us, other caring and concerned MB owners, your ways of best practicing due diligence in maintaining our vehicles and avoiding costly mistakes as well? I have recently replaced both batteries in my car, based on forum advice. I now get a white symbol of a wagon with an upward pointing arrow inside the center of the wagon symbol, and a message that simply says Visit Workshop. Someone mentioned that it has to do with the shocks/suspension, and sent me a link to the Arnott site, which is a fabulous find. Better quality, longer lasting shocks than original MB. I, and I dare say surely other MB owners too, would love to hear from you on the many issues that can crop up in our cars, and the best ways to prevent, prepare and cope with them safely and economically.Strangely, I used to think that MB cars last a lifetime, if well-maintained correctly. Perhaps it still is true, except that it takes a celebritys budget today. Perhaps not, as the cars have all functions controlled via microprocessors, which has historically not been a German forte. Thank you.

2012 ML350 blue tech 38000 miles. Clicking noise sounding like a valve tap (non-mechanical description) but traced to the high pressure fuel pump. Selling dealer replaced the pump, noise disappeared for a month or so and has returned again. On visit to other than selling dealer, shop foreman listened to the vehicle and said he hears this noise all the time and dismissed it as a common occurrence. Find it rather surprising the MB hasnt come up for a fix for this very annoying noise. Any other solutions out there?

Ive had my 2011 e550 (bought brand new) at the dealer service four times in the last 3 months for squeaking breaks. He informed me that it was due to my driving style and that no other e550s have had this problem and Id just have to live with it. Then in the next breath he told me that the brake assembly was too big for the car (manufacturing problem). They had it in the shop, put something on the breaks and then we went for a test drive later that day while he was in town. No squeak. Amazing, but not at all surprising. Later that day and seven miles of driving the whining started; then the shrill squeaking was right back. I love this car but Im going to have to get rid of it because they will not work with me at all. Im very disappointed by the quality and by the service after the fact. They made an offer to put new brake pads and rotors on it, again. Three sets of brakes within 15,000 miles - no thanks.

While it is well known as STAR brand and top luxury, comparing MB product support (goodwill) is way bad compared to BMW and Audi. Audi provides up to 12 years power train goodwill. MB with an engine less than 100K with well maintained vehicle failed to offer reasonable consideration for their engine. Their Customer support offered me 1K sales incentive on new vehicle (I have a 86K value vehicle, 1K is 1.17% of the vehicle). I would say if Daimler knows about MBUSA and keep silent this is a big mistake.

Mercedes S550 is one beautiful vehicle. I own three of them. I just fell in love with this vehicle the very first time I saw one. Great ride, one of the best I ever rode in! Quiet ride, to the point where you feel so comfortable you want to rest instead of driving this vehicle. Now there is a good side to anything and there is the other side! Someone once said if you have to ask the price you must not have the ability to afford the cost to make repairs! First order of business, vehicle warranty a MUST! You ended up selling your first child to keep it on the road. Average maintenance cost per year $2,000 to $3,500 even if you have a good warranty. Tires, tune up, head lights for starters. The ride, the looks, the style might be worth the price to you.

I bought my 2016 C300 Mercedes approx. six months ago. Three months after I bought it I started hearing a beeping noise that is coming from the engine when its turned off. The beep last 2-3 seconds and happens every 6 seconds. The dealer initially told me theyve never heard of something like this but after I showed them my google search they said theyd look into it for me. Today I sent them a video of the noise and they said that its coming from the AC equalizing pressure which is normal. Im very frustrated because Ive never had a car that makes any noise like this. We purchased this Mercedes and expected to be getting a well-built car. We are very disappointed in the quality and that Mercedes expects us to just live with this noise because its normal.

I have driven Mercedes for the past 19 years. In those 19 years I have owned 6 Mercedes. Never and I mean Never have I ever had so much problems with a car. I never leased a car, I always bought it, but this time I have a lease and this car has given me problems from day one. I have complained to no avail; they try to tellme that it is normal for the car to drive the way it does. Well guess what if that is true then I will never drive another MB again. I would rather drive a Hyundai because this car gets me car sick to drive it and not only that I am afraid to drive because I might get into a car crash because of the way it drives. They say that the turbo is making it stop and go and shake. We have a brand new Porsche and it does not do what this car does. When I am at a red light and the light turns green the car stalls. I have taken it back several times. I am tired and I believe that I should just go through the Lemon Law because no one seems to want to help. Mercedes calls me every time after I pick up my car to ask me how my experience was and I tell them but all they do is nothing except say oh Im so sorry. I am done with MB.

This is a serious safety issue. Our car suddenly stalls [three times] while driving. The reason was a failing [failed] crank sensor. Mercedes never informed owners of this serious safety issue. Our vehicle was past their factory warranty, therefore we had to pay $504 due to the this problem. Mercedes Headquarters in New Jersey refused all or any compensation. Safety issues do not end because the factory warranty expired. Maybe they should experience the stress and helpless feeling of driving 65 miles an hour and have the engine shut off!

I have owned Mercedes Benz vehicles for over the past 10 years getting a new vehicle every 2-3 years. I have never had a need for warranty repair until now. What a complete failure! My 2013 S-Class left my wife and kids roadside nearly 2 weeks ago. Towed to the local dealer, 24hrs later I told that my 1 year old under warranty S-Class will not be covered and the repair will be $31,000+ due to lack of oil change. That is simply not true other than I did not have the oil changed by MB! I contacted corporate MB to dispute the dealer’s statement that the repair will not be covered under warranty. I was told someone would call me back within 24 hours. The following day I heard from someone who captured the information and told me she would handle it and I would hear from her soon. That was 10 days ago. No return phone calls! I called this corporate contact 4 days ago for an update and she informed me she has no update for me and would call me back. No return phone call! It has been 12 days, we are without our S-Class, and I have been renting a car myself while waiting on MB. I am disgusted by the poor service provided by Mercedes Benz! This is supposed to be a luxury brand that you pay a premium price and have an expectation of better than average service. That could not be any further than what my experience is. This is the first time I have ever needed warranty of a Mercedes Benz and this is a complete and utter failure! It has come to an attempt using social media to reach someone at MB that cares to service the issue since the normal channels have yielded me no results, not even a return phone call.

I bought my second GLA here in Brazil at a dealership called Itatiaia. When I picked up the vehicle on 21/oct/15, just as I was outside driving by the first block I noticed a noise coming from the front suspension. I drove back to the dealership and informed to the same person that delivered the car to me. He said it was probably a kind of dust that would disappear soon. After some days the noise was still there and I took the car to be service at another dealership EuropaMotors - that is situated just outside my home. I left the vehicle there on 29/oct/15 with 144km and it was appointed that the front left shock absorber was broken. They ordered a new part that took 3 long days to arrive.I bought a new car that came broken from the dealer. It is not a cheap car and Mercedes sold a car that was not even safe to go to the road!! (This part is essential to the security of the driver and passengers). I am very mad. After almost one week they returned me the car with the problem fixes, they said. Yesterday, the same noise appeared again. And now it is even louder!! I cant believe this is a serious company. I complained to the dealership and to the Mercedes Benz in Brazil. Nothing has been done to really solve the problem. I am now entering with an official complaint to the authorities and I hope to hear from Mercedes with a solution. I dont want to buy an expensive car and receive a broken cheap car as they are proposing to me.

I have a problem with one of the vehicles we have bought with Mercedes and I would really appreciate assistance in solving this problem. I have bought all my Mercedes from Mercedes-Benz Angelopolis. I submitted a letter to the dealer and they told me that they have not received answer from Mercedes. To date, we have seven Mercedes vehicles and none of these had experienced problems before or had manufacturers defects except for this Class A-190. The vehicles we own are: one Class ML 350, two Classes ML 500, one Class A 190, one Class C, and one Smart. The only reason we have continued with the brand was the durability and the confidence that the vehicles gave us; it was reliable, as what I used to say. The vehicle, Class A-190, which has the problem has just 30,000.00 miles. I cannot conceive that a Mercedes has major problems with such a short mileage. I insist that the only reason Im still buying Mercedes is because of the supposed level of quality and service life of the vehicles. I hereby, request this to be reported to the plant in Germany and to repair the vehicle at no cost. Its not a Chevy, GM or a Ford; its a Mercedes. Its what the vendor say when you are paying extra money for a Mercedes, and it should last as a Mercedes. My wife almost never use this car. If this is what we expect from the brand, it is cheaper to buy an Atos or any other car and change it every three years. I have been its most faithful advertiser because I always trusted the brand. I hope this will be resolved. 30,000.00 miles are nothing for a Mercedes transmission. I definitely want to stay with them but in no way I will accept them trying to rip me off. This transmission came defective from the beginning. Four years ago, we started to buy other brands for a couple of problems we had with the service; while Ford and GM, are still a mess, at least Toyota has given us good service. Last year, we bought back with them the Class C and the Smart. A couple of days ago, we were evaluating to buy another Class ML-500, but after this, we do not know what to think. It really upsets me that Mercedes ends up being as good as a Chevy and in theory charges me extra money for a quality that does not exist. Please give me a favorable solution to this issue as quickly as possible. If not, then tell me what to do.I wont buy a Mercedez Again and I will suggest that everybody chose another brand.

I recently purchased a 2016 GLC300 and am appalled by the Navigation System. The GPS gives a one mile prompt when giving turn instructions. I was in the left lane of a 4 lane highway and heard the prompt prepare to turn right... no distance stated... no arrow on GPS screen to show mileage before turn. The prompt is ONE MILE from the turn. I was almost in an accident trying to get from the left lane to the right exit. If anyone uses a GPS on your cell phone you know there is an arrow with mileage stated for your next turn. The GPS on the Mercedes does not have this so you have no idea when your next turn is coming. Then the next prompt is 1/4 mile from the turn. Way TOO little notice for safe driving. Its embarrassing to be driving an expensive car with your cell phone in the cup holder utilizing another navigation system because the Mercedes is SO INADEQUATE. If Mercedes wants to market to younger drivers, they have to catch up with technology. Oh... and another thing... my home address isnt in the GPS system. I was told the system is only updated every year to year and a half. Again... a cell phone Navi system is updated to the minute. Get with the 21st century, Mercedes!

All had approx 75k miles when traded and NEVER an issue with previous 3 cars. 2014 has the ECO start/stop feature which if you research is not a FEATURE but a problem. Roadside Assistance tech who came out yesterday to try to assist me was floored when he could not even jump start it as he believed the starter was gone. He called Tow company, who also could not jump and gave same opinion, crazy that the starter could be gone! The ECO start/stop is believed to be the cause and if you read other problems it does a number on the wear of a battery and starter due to the excessive starting and stopping compared to vehicles without this!!! VERY IRATE AND DISAPPOINTED out of my new car for 2 days and everyone is sorry for my inconvenience.

We were delivered this car in April 2017. After less than 10,000 we have had to replace 2 Tires. After many conversation with the Lawrenceville Dealership in NJ where we were told that indeed the car is too heavy for the tires. No solutions was offered other than for me to pay more money to have the tires changed. Mercedes is aware they are selling a defective product that can potentially be life threatening and they are doing nothing about it. I then e-mailed the corporate offices and was contacted by an agent who tried to work a resolution where we would still pay over 2000 and had to give those tires we paid a premium for, back to them (SCAM)... As a matter of principle and the fact that I can get better tires without them or their HELP... we refused the Great deal!! Nevertheless STAY AWAY... Looks like they dont care if you are stranded in the middle of no-where or if you die as the tires fall apart while you drive or like in my case while the car is parked in the garage!! I have a 2004 E320. It has what appears to be a cracked left side fuel sender. Or so it seems!? This is a common problem on E class models - as Im more than sure you know. Campaign 2008-020001 covers this exact problem on 211 models 2003-2006, which my car is. However, when my VIN was run at the dealer, it is supposedly not covered!? The service manager tells me it’s ridiculous, that it’s again more than obvious it’s the same problem or defect. Yet not covered. He suggested I call Mercedes and after an “investigation”, I was told nothing would be covered!? An investigation that included or predominately was decided over, the fact that I have stopped regularly servicing my car at the dealer! My car looks and runs like new other than this problem. In fact I researched it and found the recall because I wanted it perfect as to trade in or sell and replace it! So Mercedes wont cover a problem that has 1,000s of complaints pending with the NHTSA. I cannot fill my gas tank because if I do, the backseat (driver’s side) fills with fumes and my children complain. I pulled the backseat in the service area parking lot, and we opened the hatch and saw the gas sitting in the sender (see attached pic). It was like we were looking at the pictures attached to the campaign!!! Yet not covered!?I have owned 3 Mercedes Benz in my lifetime. I can honestly say that I firmly believe they are the best constructed, most reliable, and sharpest looking cars on the road. I have spent years telling everyone I know, anyone that would listen, that once you own a Mercedes Benz, you cant own any other car. And I routinely argue with my BMW loving best friend (a luxury car dealer) over which is the better vehicle. My car has reached 125k. Its time for a new Mercedes. If any part of you believes I will ever buy another Mercedes when the company will not in good faith fix my vehicle that is so obviously having a problem that is manufacturing defect, then you are out of your mind!Im no idiot. I realize if you have even bothered to read this far into the letter, the company could probably care less about one consumer. But you will have lost a truly faithful customer who wouldve never bought another brand. And whom will exhaust my fingers and wear out my iPad on every blog, website, complaint site, NHTSA hotline, and anywhere else I can to be sure that I will deter as many people as I can from ever buying a Mercedes because a multibillion dollar company didnt stand by their product, and fix a maybe $1,500 problem. If you took the time to read this and take the time to compare my symptoms and pics to that of the campaign (and Im sure millions of complaints), then anyone with any power and want to do the right thing will help me and keep me on team Mercedes!

I purchased a 2016 “Certified” Mercedes Benz GL550 with low mileage. Like maybe 22,000 miles? This is my 4th Mercedes I purchased and got serviced through MB dealerships. Two were new. Two were certified pre-owned. I did not even haggle with Silver Star Mercedes in New York on the price. I purchased a number of upgraded warranties, bringing the total up almost to $80,000. This vehicle was advertised as “certified.” That includes a 27 point checklist on the exterior of the vehicle. When the vehicle delivered to me, I sent pictures to the dealer within an hour of receiving it.There were a number of issues. I sent pics and contacted them, including the owner. The GM, Rob, got back to me and left a message. I tried contacting him back many times, left messages and never got hold of him. Finally, I left a message suggesting he text or email me a time he is available to speak. No response. So I contacted the owner again. No response. I live in Pittsburgh so I couldn’t just go there. Finally, I called a Mercedes Benz US customer service. They said I have to work through the dealership to resolve it. I told them I have tried and they won’t respond! So I tried to call Mercedes a Benz Customer Service another day, hoping another employee would be more helpful.Again, he told me I had to work through dealership for resolution. I said AGAIN that they won’t get back to me. They wouldn’t even call them for me and ask them to please respond. Like I said, this is my 4th Mercedes, with each getting more expensive! I was considering buying a G-Wagon, but forget it! I’m DONE with a Mercedes! I’m going back to BMW. I NEVER in a million years expected such a terrible experience from Mercedes! The damages were only about $1,500 to fix. My local dealer was appalled and got me an estimate. Never buy a Mercedes if you are buying a certified vehicle that you hope the company stands behind!

Had 60,000 maintenance done, oil change, other. Engine light stayed off. Drove to S Florida. Engine light came on again. Took to reputable foreign car specialist. Needed # 4 engine coil. Engine light off. Few (short) weeks later - engine light on. Immediately returned to shop. Needed # 4 coil replacement. Few (short) week(s) later - engine light on. Then engine light off & stayed off. Shipped to VA. Engine light off. Drove short miles - engine light on again - this time I returned to the VA foreign car specialist to determine why the light keeps coming on. Same symptoms over and over since before 55,000 miles on a well serviced car. Summary: This car needs a # 4 cylinder (head?) replacement, plus there is a TSB from Mercedes on this engine for known problems. Mercedes Corporate (told me I was not loyal to the brand) refuses to stand behind the vehicle. Corporate passed to a dealer whom I did not purchase the car from. They of course are unwilling to help. I have not gotten help anywhere. NOW I ASK YOU - Will you purchase a Mercedes knowing it could need a new engine @ 55,000 (+/- ) miles? No car with 55,000 miles should have these kinds of issues let alone what used to be the top luxury car. It is not the customer who is not loyal to the brand - it is the company who is not loyal to the customer and dropping the makers ranking from number one to number three (or below). I have a 2010 C300 MB and the driver seat tore at the seam. It tore at about 65,000 miles. I didnt report it until over 100,000 miles. I guess supposedly that was my biggest fault but quite frankly now I dont even believe they would have done anything about it back then. The seat is made cheaply from low quality fake leather... even if it did tear at 100,000 that is not ok either. I have had many lesser brand name cars with many more miles than this and I can say not once has a driver seat seem given away. I would only see this issue for a fraction of a second as I entered the car to sit down... out of sight out of mind. (My bad!!?) That being said I am just warning people not to buy the C300 series due to poor quality seats... poor quality that the MB USA wont even stand up for when it fails prematurely... unless you think a seat failing at 65 or even 100k miles isnt premature. The passenger seat motor also failed which I didnt complain about and had to pay to replace myself. I didnt want to pay again for another sub par piece of equipment so I reached out to MB and got no assistance. Even after going by the dealer they supposedly talked to MB USA and they refused to help I was told. After calling MB USA they had no record of me going to the dealership with this issue. Shocking! Very very poor customer service and basically standing up to do the correct thing. I have driven BMWs the past 25 years. It looks like I am going back to a BMW!!! They just made my decision easy!! Maybe BMW would have said the same thing I do not know, but I drove many for the past 25 years with more miles on them than this MB and funny enough I never had to call BMW (or Ford or GMC) to ask them to fix it BECAUSE IT NEVER TORE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! I have to admit I always put MB sort of on a pedestal but this experience surely brought them crashing down to earth!!! And they have landed in a ditch!!! Btw, I am now also driving around in a car that MB told me could kill me because of a faulty air bag, but they cant replace it yet... keep on driving it... Sounds like a great idea too!! Not!

My CLS550 only has 60k miles. The check engine light came on and the dealer has informed me that it is due to a faulty balance shaft. This is a known issue and a class action suit was filed. Mercedes settled out of court so they would not have to issue recall notices. I was never notified of the situation so I have been driving the car, not realizing that I was in danger. Now that I am aware of the issue, Mercedes is only willing to cover 37% of the $6,000 it is going to cost for the repair. How can any company think it is ok to use faulty parts, not inform the consumer and then not stand up to their responsibility? I will never own another Mercedes and I encourage everyone to beware of doing business with such a company.

Our 2005 ML350 spontaneously caught fire recently and was completely destroyed. It was recently serviced and our insurance has opened a cause and effect investigation to rule out any service related fire. Thankfully no one was hurt, and no other cars or structures were damaged by the fire. We are stunned and angered. Hopefully they will find out the cause.

I have only 16,500 miles on my C250 Mercedes that I leased short term (Im currently at 24 months of a 27 month lease). Took my car in today for B services which was prepaid. I was told that my rear tires are bald and that I need to spend $700 plus to replace them before end of lease term which is in two months. And if I dont, Ill be charged when I turn the car in. This is in addition to the $600 disposition fee which I should never have agreed to. Ive leased cars my entire life and have never had to replace tires on a car after such a short period of time. Is Mercedes installing poor quality tires for this purpose? The service manager told me that they use tires for performance and not for wear and tear. Ive never had to pay so much to dump a leased car! I will never buy/lease a Mercedes again!

A year ago I purchased my first Mercedes, a 2010 Mercedes Benz, GLK350. My first foreign car. The car has been driven less than 3500 miles by me. I get into the car over a week ago and the light comes on in the dash (Frontal SRS/airbag). The car will not start. The AAA service came and tried to jump me, with no success in getting the car started. He tested the battery and replied and showed me that my battery was great. Your mechanic looked at the car, after I had it towed to your dealership) and Chris informed me that the battery was no good. (The mechanic stated he could not see what was wrong until I purchased the battery.) And wanted to charge me $500.00. We all know, with common sense, that comment was incorrect.I’ve always known, if I bought a foreign car, I had to know my rights and become very knowledgeable of the Model/Make. So I maintain counsel. I remembered the recall of the airbag and airbag sensor. I noticed the rear taillight not working (A possible symptom due to faulty pyro-fuse.) If the car has a pyro-fuse and this fuse is not properly working, there is no way to start the car. It is not difficult to change the pyro-fuse but the SRS system might need a reset. Also if the issue was at the pre-fuse box. The frontal module has harmed other electrical parts on my car and need replacement. Chris informed me that the problem was possibly the pre-fuse box and it needed to be replaced and my total cost is $1300-1400. He also stated that they were not sure that the pre-fuse was my problem. There could be other issues, but I must pay for the box first before they could find out definitely. I informed him of the recall and he stated the recalls had nothing to do with the pre-fuse box. I requested that he at least repair the recall items. The parts of the recall, he states, are pending. So I find people have died because of this recall, per legal counsel, including the defected rear tail light. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN.I AM REQUESTING THE FOLLOWING: For this service expense to be applied to either recall or manufacturer including the battery cost and replacement. Whatever sensor is faulty, the battery was drained. Return my old battery and the pre-fuse box. Make arrangements for a loaner until recall parts are in and replaced Hire employees who are professionally experienced, compassionate, knowledgeable, honest and not greedy to take extra money home to care for his family (per the attendant). If one possesses the traits requested, his sales will increase tremendously.

I purchased a brand new Mercedes Benz E350 4MATIC Sport from Fort Washington Mercedes in PA. My son and I took delivery of the car and as we were going home we heard a loud burst and the tire pressure monitor indicated malfunctioning rear right tire. The rear tire blew out at 40 miles odometer reading. The part that worried me the most was I lost control of the vehicle when it happened and was on the verge of hitting a car on the right lane. The emergency service in the car did not work. I had to call my insurance company for roadside assistance. It took them more than an hour to come and replace with a spare tire. There are numerous reports about E350 tire blowouts but I did not take them seriously and purchased E350 but I do not feel safe with this vehicle anymore. Im under constant worry of tire blowout and accident. I paid lot of money for this car and also purchased stress and fear. Note that tire blowout at high speed can cause serious accident and you never know when the blowout would occur. Im not sure what options I have but Im going to talk to the dealer. This car can put you in harms way. I realize now how serious the tire blowout problem is. Please be careful if you intend to buy this car.

We have a 2012 Mercedes-Benz GL350 that listed new for 80,000.00. We bought it used in October of 2018 and it appeared in Excellent condition and had a clean Carfax and great service history. It had about 97,000 miles on it when we purchased it. At approximately 108,000 miles the engine locked up with no warning. The cost to replace the diesel engine with a new engine is close to 25,000.00. I contacted Mercedes Customer service and was informed that since I didnt purchase the vehicle new and I didnt have its yearly service done at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer, they would not be able to offer any assistance with the repair cost. I was informed that even if I had purchased it new and had it serviced by the book, they would probably only offer about 5-10% of the repair cost. I was then told that if I wanted to purchase a New Mercedes GLS model, that they would offer me a discount coupon of $3,000.00.A new GLS starts at about 65,000.00. I think an 80,000.00 vehicle should last longer than 108000 miles, even if the dealer does not maintain it. By looking at the vehicle it is apparent that it was maintained. POOR customer service and product support in my opinion. Now I have a vehicle that I owe 16,000.00 on, and I would be lucky to get 6000.00 in the condition it is in now. And a used motor would still cost around $10,000.00. In addition to the engine, I have had to replace the oil filter housing due to a leak at less than 100000 miles, and recently I replaced the rear air bag and sensor and the air diverter valve also. Done with Mercedes for sure.

I purchased a 2013 CPO C250. What sold me was the unlimited mile warranty. I had discussed with the finance dept what was and wasnt covered. I had also discussed what the car was to be used for. The purchase was Jan 5 2015. The car was in the shop a lot. I average about 65k miles a year. I had used the warranty several times without a hitch. 2 weeks ago my car was in the shop and I get a text from my writer saying, MBUSA has canceled your warranty. Come pick up your car. So I did. I arrived at the dealership and was amazed that they returned a broken car that looked like they parked it under a tree full of birds. Very tacky. Now, afraid to drive the car. I baby it every time I drive it. Of course thats no good. The car left me stranded last night in the middle of nowhere and dumped all the oil out. Seems a little convenient. Almost like they knew it would happen. I have been in the auto business for many years and have never seen a customer treated this badly. Thats not the whole ugly story but Im sure you get the gist of it. Big thumbs down for MBUSA. BTW, I sell German cars and we are a class act compared to this manufacturer.

My car, the GL450 4matic, has had steering column replaced, a recall for other same year 2008 GL450, but for some reason the recall did not apply to my particular vehicle in that year... Electrical between the lift gate and passenger windows and moonroof have gone out and been repaired more than once. Air sacs & front suspension both failed and replaced. All of this by 60,000 miles. My husband’s 2009 sl63 AMG has also had air suspension issues including needing to replace hoses that the mechanic said Mercedes is famous for. The coolant keeps disappearing and seems to be mixing with the oil through the head gasket on a car with 40,000 miles. Not only is this the worst craftsmanship Ive experienced, the dealership and service departments could not be worse in their customer service or concern to fix any problems. I would love to join anyone in holding Mercedes responsible for these repairs.

First off, Ive always been an advocate for Mercedes Benz having owned 2015 c class, but I have to say Im utterly disappointed with the recent service by Benz hence the 2 star which should be a 1. Im currently driving a 2019 A220 sedan which if it drives normally, is an absolute breeze. Unfortunately, Ive not had that pleasure of driving without a problem. From inherent breakdowns, to various warning lights turning on. There was a recent recall for this vehicle, mind you, but after the recall I’ve had countless visits to the MB repair shop, Im still having the same issues. My mileage is just 16,000. I am truly sad right now and feel let down by MB. I would surely reconsider my commitment to your brand.

E500 2005 40k miles. Routine check up as MB suggested! Problem: oil/fluid leaked on garage floor with a big spot (a lot of fluid). 4/19/2016 drop off the car for MB dealer service. 4/22/2016 they sent me a report about the leaking oil/fluid. Reason: The fluid leak appears to be coming from the transmission pan/13 electrical connector. The repair would be similar to a transmission service. Open transmission pan, replace filter, gasket, electrical connector and torque and clean area of leak. $758 VIP discount = $658 + tax.I called and emailed MB customer service to help about this situation. I believe they stand behind their products. They called me back to let me know that it is out of warranty even the car is 40k and take a good care. They can not do anything. I found out she never talked to the service dealer to find the issues of the car. Bad customer service, irresponsible! She needs to understand the issues before she talked to me but Nope! This really bad customer service and bad products too. I hope MB get this message and talk to her about how to solve the problem!!! My car is still at Fletcher Jones of Fremont 5760 Cushing Parkway, Fremont Ca 94538.

I took my car for service, paid for it but it was never fixed, and after several visits, has gotten worse. They now want another payment. I am writing to you in hope that you can assist me with the resolution to a problem with Mercedes Benz of Sanford. I initially took my car in for service of a part that was fixed but was also recommended to perform a service on my transmission. The car, prior to the service, was operational, but it was pushing a bit and jerked. One of the service men indicated that the problem was something that had to be fixed with a computer program. I had previously changed the brakes, so it was not the brakes. The technician told me that the service was recommended at 50K miles for this car. He performed the service and I paid for it. Unfortunately, the problem continued. I went back to the dealership and explained that the issue was not resolved and they said that they would look at it. They ran a diagnostic program. After they used a diagnostic service, one of the service men said that the car was fixed. I drove out of the dealership and immediately felt the problem again. I drove right back into the dealership and the service technician drove the car and told me that there is nothing wrong. He also said that they used a new program to extend the life of the car, an updated program for the transmission and that I would get used to it. The problem persisted and I was told by one of their managers to take the car to Tim at Mall of Millennia Mercedes Benz. I was ignored even though I had an appointment with Tim, and was told that he was in a meeting with the manager. I asked why they had made an appointment for me when he was not going to be available. They did not answer the question, but put me off again. I ended up leaving and the car was not fixed. I attempted to communicate with the managers at both dealerships as well as with the corporate office, and was subsequently told that there is nothing wrong with my car. The company will not answer my questions or fix my car, and the best that they did for me (case manager, Ms. **) indicated I should again visit the same dealership. On Thursday, September 5, 2013 I was on my way to a job interview and the car completely stopped and would not move at all. I was on a busy highway (436) and could have been in an accident during normal conditions. I was very lucky that there were no cars at that time, a very unusual situation on this road. If I had been on the freeway, I would have been in a bad car accident. After my interview, I took the car in to the dealer again and this time they seemed like they were actually going to fix my car. They provided me with a rental car for the time that their car is in the shop and they said that they would cover the cost of the rental car, as they did not have a loaner vehicle.I told them that I had already paid for repairs that were not originally performed and that I expected them to fix my car. Now they contacted me telling me that they want me to pay $900 for the repairs. I have already paid for the repairs that were never properly done on the car. I truly feel that they never looked at my car and did not fix what was wrong the first time. They have since had my car and are telling me that I have to pay this amount. I have already paid to fix my car and after multiple visits, many discussions and letters to their service center, they have yet to fix my car. I am asking for your assistance to resolve this issue as I feel that I have been taken advantage of through this whole process and that I paid for something that was not delivered. I would like my car to be fixed and have warranty for the repair and the parts so that my car operates properly. I already paid for repairs that were not performed and should not pay for something twice. This is a safety issue and they put my family and me at risk by not performing the repairs. I would like to have an explanation of what was wrong, the repairs. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Ive never had a worse telemarketing experience in my *life*. I received a letter from Mercedes mbrace saying my complimentary trial period for mbrace secure service would convert to a billed service (as Id expected) and I could call them to cancel that, so I did. After some of the usual Q&A, I told the guy to cancel it. He told me how great it is. I told him to cancel it. He told me how great it is again. After this went on a few more times I started saying just cancel it while he was still selling. He said I needed to hear why it was so great (not his words). This went on a few more times and I switched to say I want to speak to your manager. We went around with this a few more times while he continued to sell and I continued request his manager. Finally I told him one more time to cancel it and hung up.Then I called the number again, talked to a different agent, told him I wanted to talk to his supervisor regarding the other, rude agent. After a while a supervisor came on the line, sounded nice, but then told me I cant cancel the account until within 30 days before the trial period lapsed. The letter I received said nothing about this, and after a bit the guy said he could do it today (apparently a favor) -- but only after he tried to sell me some more! Of course he didnt phrase the sales pitch that way, he called it a reading a disclaimer. I tried a few more times to instruct him to cancel the service without effect, so hung up again. I don’t think I’m under any obligation to hear a sales pitch after I’ve given clear instructions – many times! This is not what we expected when we bought a Mercedes.

He threatened me then 2 hours later when I went to put my key in the ignition, the words came up take your key from the ignition. It left me stranded there that night. Did they lock me out of my car? I am afraid to take it in because I dont want them to say I stole the vehicle. I dont know what to do.I was stranded for hours. Bought my first car (this being the 2020 plate 70 reg A-Class PHEV premium plus 1.3L hatchback), and unfortunately the navigation system and customer aftercare was ATROCIOUS. I was back in the Merc showroom a week after I purchased the car due to the speedometer showing 70mph on the side streets and 20mph on a motorway! There was also NO sight of the mandatory accessories that were in the car. The ENGINEERS said that a full download WASNT completed on this BRAND NEW fully fitted, TOP OF THE RANGE vehicle and even after them taking my car in for the day, its still NOT WORKING. When requesting an initial check up of the car (due to the navigation system failing and taking the longer routes around town) he told me to press the SOS system in the car which directs you to air ambulance, then a roadside engineer (both who said the whole situation has heightened due to the fault of the salesman). The inadequacy of the sales team is awful especially with their customer aftercare and ’support. When the car arrived, the salesman who I dealt with didnt bother showing me any of the cars gadgets, the car wasn’t even full charged on the electric - there was no effort made when presenting the car which was very disappointing. The car is a premium plus (top of the range) meaning that all the extra features such as the cable are meant to come with the car. When questioning the salesman I dealt with, he refused to acknowledge that the accessories came with the car and stopped replying to my messages giving no response! It was only after dealing with the engineer, we pushed for the already paid for accessories. Being a loyal customer, we had foresight of purchasing another vehicle however, due to the REPETITION OF TERRIBLE experiences with the car, customer services, problematic navigation…. I’m appalled! The whole experience was very troublesome, lack of support was given from the Mercedes Leicester team, there was absolutely no aftercare provided. The car’s navigation and speedometer is STILL NOT WORKING. I don’t recommend anyone to purchase this new vehicle, especially from the Leicester branch. Very disappointed.

I bought my C300 back in 2010 from Walters in Riverside, CA with two year extended warranty. I paid $3000 extra. At that time, Vincent, the agent who sold the car to me said that the seat covers were made from genuine leather. But last year the seat panels on driver side and passenger seat in the back were torn apart right where the stitches were. I went to the dealership in Fresno, CA, but they could not help neither the MB headquarter in New Jersey. I rolled back the cover and found it was made from vinyl. The C300 manual says the seat cover is made of genuine leather and the interior trim is made of wood. These are not true. MB is being dishonest and lied to me. I found on the internet that a lot of customers were reporting the same problem. I am still waiting for the defective airbag to be replaced. I think Ill sell both cars and buy something else. Mercedes has lost me as a customer.

Do not buy Certified Pre-owned Mercedes Benz. They do not have the same war
Do not buy Certified Pre-owned Mercedes Benz. They do not have the same warranty as a new car. Although we paid 60K for our GL 350 including extending warranty, and performed all the expensive services at the Mercedes Benz dealership after 2 years the car was diagnosed with heavy sludge on engine and needed an “engine replacement” which was originally denied by Mercedes Benz US indicating that a new engine will not be covered under the warranty because the Vehicle Mastery Inquiry (VMI) did not show any services prior the date we purchased the car. It was shocking for us to realize that the Mercedes Benz dealership in Miami sold us a CPO Mercedes-Benz with no history of service. The engine was finally replaced but only lasted ONE DAY. Apparently the engine came with issues and a SECOND engine was approved and reordered. All this time they were referring as “NEW PART” or “NEW ENGINE”. I called US Corporate to find out what kind of the engine they were putting in the car because it was hard to believe that a new part has passed all inspections and quality controls but failed after installation. Then, the representative told me that both engines approved to be installed were REFURBISHED or USED engines. Our car was in the dealership for a total of 86 days while waiting for approval to be repaired. I lost confidence on the safety of this car, as it was no longer a reliable source of transportation for my daughter. We ended up trading the GL 350 for a new Chevrolet Tahoe.

First experience with Mercedes Roadside this week for a simple dead battery
First experience with Mercedes Roadside this week for a simple dead battery switch out was a cluster Got me hooked up with a 3rd party in Texas (Im in Florida). Took 4 MB customer care agents to finally arrange for the local dealer to bring one 4 hours later. Unrelated, just called customer service for recommended tire options for my S550 as the Pirellis they put on lasted 10,000 miles. Took 10 minutes to get a connection to a ringing phone that nobody ever picked up. Should have stuck with Audi. Not impressed at all!!

I come to make a statement of the worst auto customer service I have ever had. My wife and I contacted Mercedes-Benz dealer in Silver Springs, Maryland on January, 21st, 2017 to buy a 2017 Certified Pre-owned Mercedes GLC 300 4MATIC. After test-drive and negotiation, we decided to finance the car with a down payment. As it was Saturday evening and MB Financial services was already closed, all financial approval would be done next week.On the next Monday, January 23rd, I was informed by the dealer that in order to get the financing approved I had to cash down 50% of the value of the car and provide Bank Account statements, pay stubs, Lawful Permanent Resident ID and other documents. I was not surprised since I recently relocated to the USA and I already knew my Credit Score was low. So I made it happen by providing all documents required and by doing an International Wire Transfer to fulfill the amount necessary for the buy. As this transfer was done with urgency, I had to pay extra fees to get the money ready for buy.On Tuesday, January 24th, I was informed that the financing would had been approved and I no longer had to cash down 50% of the value of the car, but about 15%. And car would be delivered on Thursday afternoon, January 26th. In the meantime, I got the car insured and pay for the first monthly payment of it. On Thursday afternoon, Delivery Day, my wife and I returned our rental car and took an Uber to the MB dealer. Everything seemed usual until the big disappointment came. After we had signed part of the contract documents for the buy, we were informed by the manager that they did no longer had approval from MB Financial Services to our financing.Long story short, we came back empty handed, or better said by feet. We were rudely sent alway without any worry by dealer staff if we had the means to come back home. Not even a taxi was called. To conclude, together with all financial loss we had (early returning of a prepaid rental car, Uber, auto insurance and fees on international wire transfer), we suffered prejudice for being immigrants, although we are highly schooled people with Lawful Permanent Residency. The reputation of Mercedes-Benz as one of the greatest auto brands simply vanished for me and my family. The Star lost its bright!

My thoughts about Mercedes Benz Financial and Customer Care Im completely unhappy, disenchanted and disappointed with Mercedes Benz Financial and Mercedes Benz Customer Care. To give you a timeline of events I leased a brand new AMG C 43 2019 MB on February 9th 2019 and exactly 3 days later the engine light went on and as of today February 26th the Mercedes Benz mechanics have yet been able to remove the engine light. Hence as of today my out pocket costs have been over 5,000 not including the ceramic tints I put on the new car all for nothing. At this point I have filed a grievance with Mercedes Benz Customer service and they have commenced the Buy Back Process which they say takes 24 hour period before someone can reach out to me. That was 4 days ago and still no call or email from someone from Mercedes Benz to address my concerns absolutely ridiculous. All the while all I have heard in regards to customer service is, Mr. ** you have to understand we didnt manufacturer the car, you signed a contract. Excuse me, yes I did sign a lease agreement but at this point services have not been rendered and in order to have an agreement and or contract both parties should act professionally and with high business standards and morals. Mercedes Benz USA should own this and be accountable for me being inconvenienced. It is now February 28th and still no car, and not one senior level executive has reached to me to make this right. Throughout this process the lack of responsiveness and customer service mentality as been lacking and definitely in question. Ultimately the sad part is that I still dont have a brand new car and what was supposed to be a proud day in my life has turned out to be a nightmare. E. **. Not sure at this point if I should cut my losses and to Audi. My feeling that I have lost faith in the Mercedes Benz brand. It would have been nice if a a senior executive would have had the decency to call me personally and claim ownership regarding my experience with MB Financial as well as customer care.

I bought my Mercedes GL450 from Mercedes of Walnut Creek & ever since last year they replaced my battery & cables over $1800. My battery keeps dying every morning & I think is why killed my radio command unit. After 3rd battery replacement, I had it towed. The SUV is sitting with Mercedes of Walnut Creek for last 5 days & no one is returning calls, maybe because they dont know whats wrong with their SUV? & are avoiding me. In the meantime, I have to rent a car to get to work.

I purchased my Mercedes Benz (MB) Metris in 2018, new. 1 month after the warranty expired, I had an ABS sensor go bad. The van had 18,000 miles on it. It was replaced and the next day the ABS light came on again. Thinking it was a faulty sensor I returned it to the repair shop. They called to tell me that this time it was the other wheels ABS sensor. For a vehicle I had purchased specifically for the reliability and dependability I was extremely disappointed that these sensors would go bad so quickly. This is a MERCEDES. My mechanic suggested I contact the dealer. I have called the dealer 6 times, and each time they have said someone in their service department would get back to me. I gave them 1 week after each call to get back to me. I have never had a return phone call. The last time I called I asked for the manager. Again, promised call back, with no call. Then I reached out to make a written complaint on MB of America, still no response. I finally called MB of America customer service and did speak to a very nice man who agreed, this is not a normal thing to occur. He researched to part to see if there was a recall, none found. Then he proceeded to only provide a case number for reference if it happens again... This cost me almost $1000 dollars and I dont believe I should have incurred this expense on a vehicle with only 18k miles on it. For a vehicle maker who claims to be responsive, Im not feeling satisfied.

If I could give no stars - I would. I bought a used SLK (2 years old) with the usual approved mercedes talk that went with it and at the check list showing what work had been carried out before I took delivery. The salesman told me that it was one owner. Turned out to be two when the log book arrived. Mercedes are washing their hands of this lie as the sales man has now left, although I did tackle him before he left and he was looking into it.The tyres were delivered with the check list showing 6mm. 5 months and a puncture later they were 2mm. Again Mercedes have no interest as the tyres are still legal and are not taking any responsibility for my tyres evaporating. I have done 1000 miles in this time. No way on earth have they used 4mm tread, but Mercedes wont budge. They are legal and thats it. I had a wheel taken off and it had to be hit with a hammer to move it. The mechanic recommended I had them greased during my next service, but on the check list it is showing that they had been removed and greased. The car now sticks in a low gear when travelling in slow traffic. Its been back to Mercedes twice. They havent found a fault and apparently no fault is showing on the computer but they have done 200 miles in my car to check it and the last time was delivered back to me covered in mud. I am 4 miles away from the service centre. They have offered to pay for me to have it cleaned (take to a car wash effectively). This is the worst service I have had from anyone anywhere. Mercedes customer service are just weird with their random phone calls that last about an hour but resolve nothing. They dont care about their customers and that it pretty much it. Ive told them that what they need to say is Im very sorry that you are unhappy and we will make sure that your queries are responded to and explained. Rather than their very defensive attitude of the car is legal, the salesman has left - what happened to the customer is king. I will never buy another car from them. Id rather take a bus.

I bought a new GLC300 and it has had squeaking brakes almost the entire time Ive owned it. Mercedes told me they were aware of the problem but didnt have the parts to fix it last year. They finally did after 6 MONTHS, now the problem is back! I left a message for the service manager yesterday (he had a lunch to get to). Then I called customer service. I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THE SERVICE MANAGER. You think you are buying a high end car but in reality the service brings down the brand. So disappointed. I owned a BMW prior to this car and I should have stayed with them, their service is top notch.

This dealership should be called the Pinocchio Mercedes Dealership because their deceptive practices are unbelievable. I leased a new Mercedes 2 weeks ago with the only requirement that Id be able to keep the same features of my 2019 car. They lied and cajoled me into a lease only to later find out that I had better features on my 2019 car. They agreed to return my car after going back and forth over the past two weeks after I was able to show that promises were made in writing that couldnt be delivered. So they promised to return my car that had 11,000 miles on it two weeks ago and take back the SUV that didnt have satellite radio or a decent set of speakers or the option of navigation. Today I return their car that I drove for 112 miles. They give me the key to my car which someone has driven almost 2,000 miles with all the filth of the employee that they allowed to drive my car. Everything about this place reminds you of a car dealership that relies on bait and switch sales. Even the manager, Katrina, who went out of her way to tell me that Mercedes would not take advantage of a senior citizen and that as an ** she treats everyone as she would want her ** older parents treated. This is not information that I solicited as clearly she was trying to demonstrate that she would never take advantage of senior citizens. Well if I was a betting woman I would bet that the only ** DNA that Katrina has is from an ** ancestor. The way a business treats current customers merely demonstrates how you will be treated if you lease or buy from this dealership. As a clinical psychologist I dont need to go out on a limb to tell you that if a person lies about something innocuous then they wont hesitate to lie to get your business. Shame on Mercedes for treating your customers with such disrespect and disdain. The fact that they couldnt be bothered to wash or vacuum a car that they drove to Timbuktu (in 2 weeks???) during a pandemic and never disclosed the wear and tear on my car by an employee tells you everything you need to know about Mercedes San Francisco!

2014 Mercedes S550 4Matic - Humming noise between 50-60 MPH. Ray Catena of Edison, NJ kept my car for 4 days trying to figure out what the issue is. They said they contacted Mercedes and said Mercedes is aware of this issue. I will be contacted when there is a fix. I said can you put a date on the fix, they said NO. What am I suppose to wait 5 years for a fix? Dealer said to contact Mercedes customer service and be a Pain in the butt and see if they will declare my car as a lemon - well that didnt work. Mercedes contacted dealer and dealer said, they have duplicated this same issue in several other S550 and that it is a part of 4Matic system. January 30, 2014 I leased a 2014 C300 from Mercedes Benz of West Bloomfield
January 30, 2014 I leased a 2014 C300 from Mercedes Benz of West Bloomfield in Michigan. Upon arrival while picking up my new lease I was advised that my car has been hit and damaged and I would not be able to pick the car up. I waited almost 2 weeks because the paint was being shipped from another country. After that I picked up my car and had no problems with it until June of that year. My first attempt of turning on my AC for the summer was a failure. The AC was not working on my brand new Benz. I took it in for service 5 times for the same issue and every time they assured me that the problem was solved only for it to happen again. Yesterday July 27, 2014 I was driving on the highway going 70 mph, 2 miles before my exit I decide to get off the highway, and thank God I did or else I wouldnt be writing this right now. As soon as I got off the highway my car went from 50 to zero in a matter of seconds.Thankfully I got off when I did or I would have died on that highway or I could have killed someone. Still in a panic I called my dealership and explained what had happened, they told me to contact roadside assistance and have the car towed there and that a loaner car was waiting for me. And so I made the call, I waited for them for an hour. My car could not turn on and it was 95 degrees outside. Finally when the gentleman arrived he loaded my car and we started driving. He then informed me that my car was going to the Novi location which was 30 mins away from where I was now. I explained that my car is to be towed to West Bloomfield, the driver stated that he could lose his job if he did not drive to Novi. I called roadside assistance and they spoke to the driver and told him to turn the truck around and take me to West Bloomfield, he did not listen. We finally made it to Novi, Im beyond furious at this point. The representative at the desk said, I dont have a loaner car for you, and the earliest we could look at your car would be next week. After an argument between myself, the tow guy and Novi dealership I got back into the truck and drove 1 hour in the opposite direction back to Bloomfield Hills. Upon arrival my loaner car was ready. I was then on my way. I then called corporate and advised them of what had happened. I also told them that I no longer feel safe in my car and I either want my lease terminated or to be put in a new car. Today they called me saying it was a computer problem (the whole computer burned out) and once they change the computer my car will be running fine again. I refuse to drive that car, Im waiting on a call from corporate. In conclusion, Mercedes Benz sucks!!!

Mercedes Benz: A waste of money on Roadside Assistance Package or Emergency
Mercedes Benz: A waste of money on Roadside Assistance Package or Emergency response package. Futile Products that Mercedes Benz Offers: 1. SOS-GPS, 2. Towing Service, 3. Loaner Cars Service, 4. Customer Service. Last week, Our family was traveling to Death Valley National Park from Phoenix for a get together party. We started around 12.00 noon @ Friday from Phoenix and planned to reach destination by 6.30 pm with several breaks in our Journey. When we are on I-93 and close to Mile Mark 64, Our Mercedes E 300 car had flat (tire blow out though it has run flats on it) around 4.30 pm, which is around 180 miles away from Phoenix and another 120 miles to Vegas. We pulled over the car and realized our run flats were of no use anymore. We tried to move our car further down the roadside aisle but the car doesn’t move and shows the indicator as if its disabled. We called immediately to Mercedes Benz SOS call (A red button on top of our head in Mercedes Benz), They received our call and politely directed us on suggestions to press another wrench button to reach roadside assistance. We followed their instructions. We called for RoadSide assistance for help.We had a conversation with roadside assistance for 15 minutes and gave our location along with mile marker. We been requested several times by our Mercedes Benz on our location, We shared what we know as we are nowhere in the middle of desert and don’t know exact location where we are other than our Mobile Phone provided coordinates. They recorded information and said that they are going to look for a toll truck guy to pull our car near to Henderson Las Vegas Mercedes Benz Showroom. We requested either for a loaner or provide a rental car as the toll truck doesn’t pick 4 people due to their policy constraints. We made it clear that we are ready to pay for those services as Safety is much priority at this moment as we are in middle of highway. To our Surprise, Mercedes Benz couldn’t offer a loaner nor rental. Instead they suggested to get a ride from a family member. (Who the hell on the world can give such a dumb response other than Mercedes Benz Call Center when they already know that we are 180 miles away from home location.)After waiting there for 2 hours and having several conversations with Mercedes Benz Call center, They called again to find our exact location as they couldn’t pinpoint our location. We immediately responded them by sending our Google maps locations. After an hour, We called them up again (around 7 pm) and realized that they might take another 1 hour to pick our car. So we made up our mind and said to come and tow as we are going to leave keys inside and lock the car. Here is the interesting part. As Mercedes Benz offers Lock and Unlock features through your mobile App from anywhere, I requested them to call me when they are about to pick my car so that I can unlock using my App. In that way, its safer to have keys inside of car and keys would help to start the engine. The customer service rep says that they are not sure whether that feature works. Bummer. Finally, we agreed to leave keys nearby front tire and leave the place. We called for Lyft and our pick up was ready in 15 minutes to take us to Vegas. Now the question arises on the products of Mercedes Benz. 1. How come Lyft able to pinpoint our location and render services in less than 15 minutes and dropped us safely to destined location whereas So called Advanced Machine Mercedes Benz couldn’t find its own location where it was stalled. 2. How come Lyft being an App operated able to provide best Customer service where as so-called Luxury vehicle Mercedes Benz doesn’t even know how to talk to its customers and provide some solution and get them to safe destination. 3. How come Mercedes Benz couldn’t offer a loaner car to its customers who are in needy (This is desperate state of being safe) than to promote on their brand.4. How come Henderson Las Vegas Mercedes Benz fail to understand the customer needs instead claim as if their cars is good to move on run flats for another 50 miles. (When the car itself states as if its disabled and cannot move). After coming home, We realized as if AAA and Lyft are better than so called Luxury cars. Just think what would have happened if you have kids in the car, same situation and middle of nowhere. Why do we need to buy these cars which sets high expectations on their services but failed to execute when needed?

I’ve leased my first “luxury” car, a Mercedes Benz GLA 250! Since the start it was not the best experience, I’ve should take note... The salesperson resigned and my ordered vehicle didn’t arrived... They assigned a new person two weeks later and then had to wait another 15 days until they asked if I wanted to choose from one of the new cars they had in inventory, since they didn’t had the options I wanted they’ve added the camera for reverse for free (they had to).First weekend I left for a mini vacation came back to a non start truck, couldn’t even get in... Called the roadside assistance and they had to come and start it... It was very strange, a brand new card having those issues. Took it in for review and it had “according to them” nothing wrong. Last year I went again on vacations, next morning wanted to go to work and again, didn’t start. They said this time it was the battery, replaced it for free. They made me waste half of work day. So here we are, 2018, last year of my lease and I just got back from vacations, and again! Yes again! It won’t even open or start. I’m so relieved that I get to replace my car this month and I’m so disappointed on Mercedes Benz.

Second time in 1 year 2 tires blew out on the road in NYC. Paid first time for 2 tires because was told the wheel alignment was the cause of the bubbles on the tires. In fact the tires were defective and the car was at all times maintained on schedule by the dealer (2013 model S550). My conclusion is that the tires are defective or not suited for driving in the city. This is the last time I will buy a Mercedes - poor quality, poor overpriced service...
