The Mercedes-Benz S Class has been a benchmark for a full-size luxury sedan for nearly as long as it has been in existence. Embarking deep into all that the latest iteration of the S Class has to offer Mercedes realizes that many still want a V8-powered S Class despite the valid efforts of bringing us some enthusiastic electric vehicles like the new EQS and its AMG versions. Still, there’s time to deliver on the promises of the last hurrahs of gas-burning thrill machines even when they are pitted in the luxury realm of the S class – in comes the new Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance. Set as the most powerful S Class ever, the S63 E Performance touts a total of up to 791 horsepower and an astonishing 1,055 lb-ft of torque by putting the best efforts of its 4.0-liter Biturbo V8 and a 140-kilowatt e-motor forward for up to 10 seconds of ‘peak power’ working in harmony powering all four wheels. Power is sent through a 9-speed automatic transmission, but the e-motor has its own two-speed transmission and limited slip differential that’s all bundled in a compact drive unit at the rear axle. At speeds above 85 mph, the e-motor’s two-speed transmission shifts automatically to use its second gear, which takes place when the motor reaches its max spin speed of 13,500 rpm. The continual power of the plug-in-hybrid powertrain, having 612 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque just from the turbo V8 engine itself, is good to get the S63 E Performance up to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Moreover, the top speed is electronically limited to 180 mph. Using just battery power, the S63 can power all four wheels up to a certain range that Mercedes has not specified as of yet. There are a total of 7 drive modes with some dedicated to the use of the electric motor, retaining a charge, or energy regen. A versatile 3.7 kW onboard charger is used to recharge the 13.1-kWh 400-volt battery pack, which is also located in the rear to help weight balance. The unique style of the new Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance elevates all that is liked in the current S Class but makes it more aggressive-looking to fit the proper part of an AMG vehicle. Those changes include 21-inch AMG forged wheels, quad exhaust outlets next to the big diffuser, and large functional air inlets. Moreover, the interior is adorned with the availability of massive amounts of carbon fiber but retains the new classiness of the S Class in its layout and welcomed large waterfall-positioned MBUX touchscreen infotainment system that’s integrated with AMG-specific displays. Lastly, the seats are AMG-upholstered with exclusive colors and nappa leather. Other changes for the S63 include an updated safety suite of features where things like the collision avoidance system works at speeds up to 62 mph and there’s improved lane detection for the lane centering and better adaptability for reading the road ahead for traffic signs and driver attention awareness. Pricing and exact availability have not been announced yet, but we expect a substantial premium to be paid for this German luxury performance plug-in-hybrid marvel making it the most expensive S Class.

I been going through it with Mercedes Benz USA since 2017. I purchased a 2011 S400 in 2016 that one day just wouldn’t start out the blue. I sent it to the Mercedes dealer for repairs. For 2 months they told me they couldn’t figure out the problem. They said every test came back good but they think it might be the hybrid battery. I then was told it may be covered by a state warranty or by Mercedes. I started pricing the battery and it was roughly $5000. I was just preparing myself to pay. I continue to call and they continue to not have an answer for me but they kept me in a loaner for 2 months. Then one day out the blue my service rep called me and said it wasn’t covered under warranty. He told me that it was going to cost $11,000 for the repair. After getting off the phone with him to make the decision if I want to pay or not, I called back to see what that price covered and was told it’s for the battery. A day later I received an email with the statement of charges. That’s when I saw they need to replace something else. They need to replace the Power Electronic Module. I found this weird and called my service rep who was now out of town. So this when things really got fishy to me. I then did a google search about the part and found that it had a Service Campaign Announcement that came out in 2012. I then call Mercedes to see if my car was on that list to be replaced. I was told no I wasn’t on the list but later I called and was told just I was on the list. That when I asked why it’s not covered. I was then told it was covered because the warranty had expired. I told them that the Service Campaign for repair said it was indefinite. They said they had to call the manufacture. Days later I called corporate about the issue and was told they could give me a discount on a car. That they would not honor their Service Campaign announcement. I contacted the office of Consumers. They contacted Mercedes and was then told that they already replaced. We then sent the car fax report over that should it hasn’t been replaced. Mercedes at this point sent a letter back refusing to comment anymore. So they put out expenses pre broken cars and expect to to fix them when they break. They lie and steal from their customers. I have fought overseas just to be ripped off. This is not the American way!

I have been a customer of MB of Boerne Tx for a few years. I purchased my last vehicle from them. I will not be going back. On June 27, 2017 I brought my car to MB to check an engine issue. I utilized one of their loaners. I picked my car up the next day and drove to my house. I opened my trunk to grab my cooking cutlery which I had put there the day before only to find it gone. I did a quick check of everything else in the car and found I was missing two other items. What makes this so frustrating is I blame myself since this is not the first time Boerne MB employees have stolen something from my car. The other time, I reported the theft immediately to my service advisor Linda who gave me a complimentary wax job. She told me she had reported that theft to management. I should have emptied my car out before taking it there but I was in a hurry and forgot my cutlery was in the back.I did not bother to go back and report it because obviously nothing would be done or it would have been done the last time this happened and would not have happened again. The main reason I am providing this review is so other Mercedes-Benz owners do not make the mistake I made and become a victim of MB of Boerne employees. Empty your vehicle before you leave it with them.To MB management, I sincerely doubt I am the only one this has happened to since it happened to me twice. This would be easy to find out which of your employees is the thief or thieves. Plant something in a vehicle and track it. You will catch them sooner or later. You have lost my business but maybe you can prevent this from happening to another customer. Had you done this after the first time I reported it to you it might not have happened again. Dont get me wrong, I blame myself but even after the first time I thought I could trust you. More fool me... it has been an expensive lesson replacing my Wusthof cutlery set but it is a lesson learned. I will utilize MB of San Antonio from here on but my car will be empty regardless.

Hi T. of Sacramento, THANK YOU for posting!! It is very interesting to read
Hi T. of Sacramento, THANK YOU for posting!! It is very interesting to read your input and observations based on your extensive experience with MB. Your example of the 2009 model year differential oil issue is concerning. I am in Canada, own a 2006 E350 4matic wagon, and it is my first MB ever. The car is super in handling, comfort, braking, quietness.... like nothing I have owned before. However, I have just been realizing from the forums and from approaching MB dealers that it can be a harrowing experience for the whole family when trying to get an issue fixed fairly. Is it possible for you to share with us, other caring and concerned MB owners, your ways of best practicing due diligence in maintaining our vehicles and avoiding costly mistakes as well? I have recently replaced both batteries in my car, based on forum advice. I now get a white symbol of a wagon with an upward pointing arrow inside the center of the wagon symbol, and a message that simply says Visit Workshop. Someone mentioned that it has to do with the shocks/suspension, and sent me a link to the Arnott site, which is a fabulous find. Better quality, longer lasting shocks than original MB. I, and I dare say surely other MB owners too, would love to hear from you on the many issues that can crop up in our cars, and the best ways to prevent, prepare and cope with them safely and economically.Strangely, I used to think that MB cars last a lifetime, if well-maintained correctly. Perhaps it still is true, except that it takes a celebritys budget today. Perhaps not, as the cars have all functions controlled via microprocessors, which has historically not been a German forte. Thank you.

I purchased my second Mercedes a 2013 GL450. In the less than year I have owned this, the check engine light has been a three-week issue to fix. Just after I passed the 50K on miles and just over the time of 4 years the check engine light came on again. $150 to diagnose. They required a compression test as the results was a cylinder losing compression. $400 to run compression test. After a few more days I receive a call that the #5 cylinder head is bad and will need replaced. Losing 60% compression, bleed off on idle. The cost for this repair was going to be $15,000.00. My question was what makes this happen to a car with only 53K miles on it? Manufacturer defect or a poor build job? No real answer other than it was going to be expensive due to the parts to replace, labor, machining that would need to be done and about 2 weeks to fix. Shy of an attorney at this point. I said this needs to be taken care of by Mercedes. Is this a common situation? If so then a new class action lawsuit needs to be filed. A few more days and Mercedes said they would split the cost with me. Now we are at $7500 if nothing else is wrong once they get into the engine. Still this should be on them for something this major with a car that has no more miles than this one has. $15K is 1/2 the price of the value of the car almost. Crazy. I have tried to get Mercedes to take care of this one. It should be on them for something this major with a low mileage engine issue. Still fighting trying to get this fixed. Any suggestions? I am open.

Our 300c has approximately 29,000 miles on it and has gone through 2 sets of tires already! Just returned from the MB dealer and was told that the 2d set of tires was of low quality that is why they are cupping. If that was so, why did the original set do the same thing at 15,000 miles? Apparently, there is something wrong with the car design. The quality of the car, a 2010 is definitely not what Mercedes used to build.

Horrible service by Mercedes Benz USA and Auto Nation - Car turbo/engine seized according to service department. Maintenance receipts were provided. Car only had 17k miles on it. 2016. They would not warranty the engine even though records were provided. Left me without a car and expected me to pay for it out of pockets over $8000. The car was drivable when I brought it to the shop, was there 3 weeks then they said engine stopped. Sounds more like whatever they tried to repair they caused more damage and Mercedes-Benz USA no warranty.

I previously own a Mercedes Benz cla 250 and the engine burned. They towed my car to Mercedes Benz service. They said it was burned due to water outside the engine and developed hydro lock that causes fire. I told them I never drive into the deep water. I drove sometime when it rain or to go to a car wash. In short, if the engine of a Mercedes have a little water then the engine hydrolock will not function that causes fire. BEWARE. Don’t buy Mercedes Benz. Maybe you will be the next victim! I switched to another car company and I was so happy this time.

I would not drive or buy a new Mercedes ever again. There isnt enough time
I would not drive or buy a new Mercedes ever again. There isnt enough time in the day to be in and out of the Mercedes repair shop. We just bought another Lexus and at this time selling our disappointing Gl350. After our 6 Mercedes the GL350 was the worst new suv ever. I have been in and out of the dealership 3 times this month, from oil leaks to the air suspension breaking and not being fixed properly. Mercedes would have to pay me to drive these cars. We just bought a Lexus RX last year, and LX to replace the GL. I figured out how good the Lexus was when I was in my Toyota Tundra towing 8000 lbs with 190k on the odometer, I beat it up all day long and it keeps taking any abuse I give it.This past summer at my farm it was 102 outside. I would leave the Tundra running because I don’t care. 40 min later I come back to a cool Tundra after doing some work on the farm. Getting in the cool Tundra with a duel axel trailer loaded to a max, I hit the road again. The Toyota/Lexus do everything the Mercedes cant! They keep me on the road. Toyota is Lexus and if the RX and LX are half as good as the tundra I will be satisfied and go back again. On the front end you may think you have a great car, but once you are out of the warranty Mercedes has you where they want you. The 80k I spent on my Gl is not a waste if I can help 10 people a year to not make the mistake I made. The Mercedes is a good car if you have more money than common sense and you have time to break down and spend your afternoon in the repair shop. Email me and Ill show you a stack of tow and breakdown paperwork on a car that should have never been able to be put on the road.

E500 2005 40k miles. Routine check up as MB suggested! Problem: oil/fluid leaked on garage floor with a big spot (a lot of fluid). 4/19/2016 drop off the car for MB dealer service. 4/22/2016 they sent me a report about the leaking oil/fluid. Reason: The fluid leak appears to be coming from the transmission pan/13 electrical connector. The repair would be similar to a transmission service. Open transmission pan, replace filter, gasket, electrical connector and torque and clean area of leak. $758 VIP discount = $658 + tax.I called and emailed MB customer service to help about this situation. I believe they stand behind their products. They called me back to let me know that it is out of warranty even the car is 40k and take a good care. They can not do anything. I found out she never talked to the service dealer to find the issues of the car. Bad customer service, irresponsible! She needs to understand the issues before she talked to me but Nope! This really bad customer service and bad products too. I hope MB get this message and talk to her about how to solve the problem!!! My car is still at Fletcher Jones of Fremont 5760 Cushing Parkway, Fremont Ca 94538.

I lost my Mercedes E350 key. Ordered duplicate key, paid $100 for key and $170.00 shipping from Texas, I am not sure what kind of shipping they use. If I order two keys they said double shipping charge. So I settled for one. Key comes- it does not work. Call the dealer they said it never happened before. I need to get car towed. Call my insurance they sent a tow but he could not get car out of park. Then called Mercedes USA they sent a tow person. He said “I do not know”, finally I talk to dealer who got mechanic on the phone and gave him instructions. Car reached dealership, of course the key is wrong, got another key from Texas and it worked. It is amazing how after charging so much people can be doing such mistakes, no apology and no loaner. I was without car for 3 days after paying $300.00 for key and no fault of my own. I have Volvo and Lexus other cars, they never charge for inspection, but at Mercedes they charge me $29.00 for that also.

First of all, I wish I had known about this site when my incident first too
First of all, I wish I had known about this site when my incident first took place. I just want to share my experience with everyone so that people can be aware when purchasing a Mercedes Benz. I plan on speaking out on every single forum out there, and if it can help even one person, then I will be satisfied. I live in Los Angeles and purchased a brand new E350 in 2007. Just a few month after the purchase (around 10,000 miles on the odometer? ), I was driving down the freeway when the car came to a sudden stall. The engine completely died, and I could not get it started back up. I was in the second lane from the inside, and the freeway was full of drivers speeding at 70-80 mph. Unable to get out of my car, I watched vehicles behind me careening to a sudden stop or jerking to rapidly change lanes. It was truly a frightening experience.I called 911 to report the incident then AAA to get a tow truck. The CHP arrived within about 15 minutes to help divert traffic away from my car as I was at a dead stop in the middle of a 5-lane freeway. The officers alerted me that it is too dangerous to stand still in the middle of the freeway and that they needed to immediately move my car off the freeway. Since they didnt have towing capability, the only way for them to do that was for them to push the car from the back with their squad car while I steered towards the nearest exit. Without getting too dramatic, I will say that this was probably the most frightening experience of my life. Luckily, no one was injured, and the car just suffered a lot of scratches on the rear bumper as a result of it being pushed by the police car.I wrote to MBUSA and explained the entire experience plus access to the police records. They offered absolutely no sympathy. They didnt even offer a nice gesture by offering to fix the scratches which would have cost approximately a few hundred dollars - pocket change to them. They didnt see any seriousness to the incident. I could have been seriously injured, and I could have caused serious injury to other motorists on the freeway that day. The message that they were sending to me was clear: I am an isolated incident to them, so I do not matter at all. Theyre a big, powerful company with millions of other buyers, so of course they dont care. How nice. Im the familys third generation of MB driver, and I will most certainly be the last.

Bought a 2013 Mercedes E350 for my wife as a surprise. She is out of the country at the moment, car has been parked and waiting for her. I start it once a week so the motor runs. Get in last week, command center is peeling. Take it to the dealer they try to say there is a fluid on it and it is from an air freshener. Great, but the car does not have an air freshener, nor has it been washed except for when Mercedes-Benz Tampa did the tint. I took it back and has been parked. Only thing I can think of is when they did the window tint something got there, but my personal opinion is that it is just falling apart. Especially after I read reviews about you cant wear lotion because the soft touch trim peels, etc. Ask how much to fix it, $5,700 dollars. What a crock.Call Mercedes-Benz USA, they act like they are interested and then do not even call back. After tracking them down (granted the caseworker had a baby and ended up going on maternity leave), they basically just say the dealer is not going to do anything about it and we support them. Thanks for nothing and making me waste a week.

In November of 2018 I purchased a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 from Mercedes Music City in Nashville, Tenn. It had 20,000 miles and several months left on the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. I live in Gainesville, Ga so flew there and drove it home. After driving it for 700 miles the check engine light came on and took it to RBM Mercedes of Roswell, GA. They found a few particles of something that was never identified residue in the fuel tank. I also found out the prior owner had check engine light issues also. RBM and Mercedes corporate determined it must be something I put in there and it contaminated the whole fuel system and now it needed $15,000 worth of repairs (whole fuel system needed replacement). I had driven it 700 miles and put 2 tanks of fuel in it. They refused to fix it. I did a lot of research on the internet. They charged me over $1,000 for cleaning out the tank and fuel lines and I left. I took it to an independent Diesel mechanic who tested the injector pump and said it wasnt putting out enough pressure. He replace it and the lift pump in the tank. Cost for repair was $2700. Pump was a warranty item. There was nothing in the old pump. It was just defective. Dealer and Mercedes misdiagnosed the problem and will not pay the repair. They insist they were right. The woman I spoke to at Mercedes was arrogant and didnt give a crap what I had to say or what I could prove. If you’re thinking of buying a Mercedes- dont. Buy a different Vehicle. This will be my last Mercedes.

I have had 4 MB cars/SUV and the ownership and dealers are fine but the financial department needs work. I just turned a leased SUV and then went on a vacation for a week. After going through the mail I saw the ending bill for the lease return. That was approx a week old. I forgot to sent right away assuming I have a bit of time. Within a few days they start leaving VM on my phone. I paid it like 2 1/2-3 weeks later and they still call daily. I made 36 payments x 4 different cars all on time and then they feel that over 10 days is late?? Relax and treat your clients with some respect. They need some training on the financial end.

Low profile, flatless tires on the S550 4Matic - My car is leased through my company. I have the car about 17 months. I still have another year and a half on my lease. During this time I have had to have a total of 11 tires replaced and now my car is in for a flat tire once again. The leasing company actually reimbursed me once month lease payment because my car was in the shop for almost 8 weeks. I have had it with this car!!! Im a CEO and need a car that is reliable. I asked to get out of the lease and they stated some preposterous number to pay to get out of it. Im wondering if others with this type of tire are experiencing the same frustration as I am. Im actually afraid to drive my car anywhere for fear I may go into a pothole. I also do not feel safe in it for fear that I may have a blowout. Any suggestions?? My next step is to get an attorney to get me out of this. Until the flatless tires are perfected, Im going to look into an SUV that has substantial tires on it.

I cannot express in words my disappointment and disgust in my recent experience with Mercedes-Benz. I will never own another model. It is certainly not what I would expect from a luxury car or a first-class dealership. I researched for several weeks before choosing to purchase and finally deciding on the GLA. The fact that it was a Mercedes made the decision easier for me as I knew it would be a car that would be flawless and have unmatched resale value. I purchase a new 2016 GLA 250 on July 18, 2016. After driving my brand new GLA for only 2 weeks, I took it in for an unusual wind noise coming from the drivers side window. I trusted that because the car was sold to me with an obvious factory default, the dealership would make every effort to remedy this problem and ensure customer satisfaction. I was heartbroken to be told that it could not, and would not, because the noise was due to the way the car was factory-made and attempting to do any repairs would void the extended warranty that I had purchased. To date, no one from the dealership or Mercedes-Benz has contacted me or made an attempt to remedy this situation. Unfortunately, because of this experience, this will be the first and last Mercedes-Benz I will ever own. The unfortunate thing for Mercedes-Benz of Beaumont, whether they realize it or not, is that my husband is a bank president in a small town about 25 miles west of Beaumont, that has three locations, and I work in a thriving school district in a town 30 miles east of Houston. Between the two of us, we know a great deal of people. We know first-hand, about customer service and how vital it is to a business, large or small. We intend to tell everyone we know of our horrendous experience with that dealership. To add insult to injury, I have since received an email indicating that I have received new inquiries on my credit, which may lower my credit score. It did indeed change my credit score by significantly dropping it several points. The report details show they are all due to inquiries from Mercedes Benz. After contacting MBUSA by phone and in writing, this is the response I have received: Hi Pam, thanks for your patience. Your comments have been shared with our colleagues at MBUSA and we regret to hear of your continued dissatisfaction. Our colleagues advise, that they have already confirmed their position with regards to your vehicle. For this reason, they will not be making further contact with you at this stage. We appreciate your understanding. Kind regards, your Mercedes-Benz Social Media Team. I have started the process to cancel my extended warranty and will be selling my GLA as soon as possible. I have reviewed the GLA on several websites unfavorably and plan to file a report with the Better Business Bureau regarding the horrendous customer service at Mercedes-Benz of Beaumont. For a company known for first class customer service and satisfaction, you should be embarrassed to have colleagues such as those at MB-Beaumont in your employ. I have since read countless reports of the same wind noise from other owners on various websites. DO NOT PURCHASE A GLA!!! As for me, I will NEVER drive another Mercedes. There are plenty of other luxury models to choose from.

Why do companies offer customer support when all you do by reaching out is the “shut up and accept what we say and do.”Updated on 10/16/2021: I returned a call from Fletcher Jones from California. They were concerned about the review I wrote on this site. The details, facts and SAFETY CONCERN were once again ignored. This conversation when I spoke I was cut off, when I raised my voice I was threatened the call would end. I was to shut up and listen. Then the 2 yrs, not 1 yr I apologized to her and attempted, case in point, rear brakes never went out. Cut off! I attempted to explain how 2 yrs ago I was to accept what had happened by Fletcher Jones, the only reason I brought back up why was the rear brakes never gave out. But I was cut off. My advice: Do not question Fletcher Jones or Mercedes Benz. If you are not willing to accept their shut up and take it. My intelligence belittled, I was blamed, I have been blacklisted. Trust me, its not worth it.Original Review: I took my car to be serviced to Fletcher Jones Mercedes Las Vegas. It’s a 1000 miles round trip. The service advisor called me and told me my front brakes and rotors were so bad. If I did not authorize the work to be done the only way my car would leave there would be on a trailer. And rear brakes were all most gone. I was taken by surprise, shocked! A short time before making the trip FIRESTONE had inspected my car (I buy my tires from them) and they said down the road front brakes and and rotors would need changed out. But no service light on dash no squeaking or pulsating while braking, But being taken by surprise I authorized the work to be done. When I arrived back from Las Vegas I took my car to FIRESTONE. I informed them of my experience at the Mercedes service. They asked when did the brake light come on the dash. I said it never did. They asked about any squeaking, pulsating. I replied that did not occur. They inspected the rear brakes and said the rear brakes are fine. I contacted Fletcher Jones and they refused to do anything. I was upset to be cheated but I let it go.Well over a year later now! My rear brakes are still fine. So I wanted justice for being lied to and cheated out of $1400 (apx). I contacted Fletcher Jones and they offered nothing except they wanted my business back. Whatever right? So I had a garage where I live who supposedly services Mercedes to just change the oil. Well that was a joke. It took over an hour for them to find Mercedes do not take normal oil. Anyways got the oil changed. I called Fletcher Jones and said ok you can check to see if they changed the oil correctly. She agreed. But would not offer to do it for free. I later declined. I just can’t go back where I was cheated and lied to.So I reached out to Mercedes I explained in detail what happened. Debbie from Mercedes responded that Mercedes technicians know what they are doing. And basically that’s that. She obviously did not read the message but I responded about his I was obviously cheated by fact and detail representing my case. Not a response. Being ignored I wrote a few more messages only to be yet ignored. I go to write a review on the official Mercedes Benz site and they rejected my review so on the same official Mercedes Benz site I went to like a live chat and the Mercedes Benz on the official site. Told me that I was not on the official site I sent her screenshots and reminded her that we are messaging on the official Mercedes Benz site. She refused to say anything except call customer service. So attempting that and reaching out to Debbie w/ Mercedes Benz I am not able to talk to anyone or receive any messages.I called fletcher Jones and the voice mail box of the manager is full. I called the service dept and after a a long duration of the phone ringing finally I received the voicemail of the service advisor who cheated me out of my time and money. I hung up like she’s really going to help. In short I have been blacklisted from Mercedes Benz as well as Fletcher Jones Mercedes Benz for not accepting their policy and cheating me.

I custom ordered a 2017 GLC and purchased it last summer. Initially we loved the car but there are certain issues that make the car dangerous in the rain and are highly irritating and ruin the driving experience of the car. The cars windshield wiper system is highly flawed. When driving in the rain, whether it is pouring or light rain, the windshield flutter very hard making driving in the rain unsafe, distracting, and highly irritating. The dealership replaced the blades twice before replacing the actual wiper arms. The problem persisted. Once it began raining more, they noticed more and more customers are bringing in their new 2017 models for the same problem. After testing their inventory, they finally advised us that it is a design flaw and there is nothing they can do unless Mercedes Benz issues a recall.I have attempted to contact Mercedes numerous times, but they are unresponsive. I have no idea what to do now. It is very distracting and dangerous to drive a car with wipers that stutter heavily. Finally, the car has electronic issues. Lights inside the car will go on or off on their own. The car will not lock at times. Bluetooth sometimes works, sometimes not. etc.

I have a 2010 C300 MB and the driver seat tore at the seam. It tore at about 65,000 miles. I didnt report it until over 100,000 miles. I guess supposedly that was my biggest fault but quite frankly now I dont even believe they would have done anything about it back then. The seat is made cheaply from low quality fake leather... even if it did tear at 100,000 that is not ok either. I have had many lesser brand name cars with many more miles than this and I can say not once has a driver seat seem given away. I would only see this issue for a fraction of a second as I entered the car to sit down... out of sight out of mind. (My bad!!?) That being said I am just warning people not to buy the C300 series due to poor quality seats... poor quality that the MB USA wont even stand up for when it fails prematurely... unless you think a seat failing at 65 or even 100k miles isnt premature. The passenger seat motor also failed which I didnt complain about and had to pay to replace myself. I didnt want to pay again for another sub par piece of equipment so I reached out to MB and got no assistance. Even after going by the dealer they supposedly talked to MB USA and they refused to help I was told. After calling MB USA they had no record of me going to the dealership with this issue. Shocking! Very very poor customer service and basically standing up to do the correct thing. I have driven BMWs the past 25 years. It looks like I am going back to a BMW!!! They just made my decision easy!! Maybe BMW would have said the same thing I do not know, but I drove many for the past 25 years with more miles on them than this MB and funny enough I never had to call BMW (or Ford or GMC) to ask them to fix it BECAUSE IT NEVER TORE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! I have to admit I always put MB sort of on a pedestal but this experience surely brought them crashing down to earth!!! And they have landed in a ditch!!! Btw, I am now also driving around in a car that MB told me could kill me because of a faulty air bag, but they cant replace it yet... keep on driving it... Sounds like a great idea too!! Not!

I called the head office to make a complaint about the disappointing service and treatment I received from the Brentford Mercedes body-shop. Basically I was not happy with the feedback I received. The reason for this is the original estimate had been completely changed; instead, I felt the body-shop was cutting corners at my expense to satisfy the insurance engineers. I was now getting second rate job done on my car that could also depreciate the value on my four-and-a-half-year-old car. I was involved in an accident, but I was not at fault; however, both I and the other driver both have the same insurers. The only difference is that I recently did not renew with them. I am insured with another firm. My problem with Brentford turned into a complaint. However, when I called their head office in Milton Keynes, I was left reeling because they were on the immediate defense making me out to be a trouble-maker and even tried passing the buck. I was spoken down to at the point that I didnt know if this was for real or a blood joke. There was no customer satisfaction. I felt my complaint was dismissed and no investigation was going to take place. I wish I had never bought from them and never will again. My advice to anyone is if you do buy a Mercedes or smart car, dont expect the excellent service because there isnt such a thing. And if you ever have a complaint, be aware that the head office’s customer service team is like the Mafia. If there is anyone out there who had the same experience, I would love feedback on where to go to get heard.

I have solid proof that my Mercedes was illegally tampered with by one of the dealerships in my hometown. I can prove that the dealership set me up to have my car malfunction and killed the battery to 4.2 volts, leaving me with a dead car that same day. The following day (if I had not been fortunate enough to have my engineer buddies jump my car for me), the dealer would have had a window of opportunity to charge me with repairs that were unnecessary. There are records that I can indicate that my car was still in good condition after my car was charged by up. There are many details and facts that I would be gladly present to all who wants listen.

I have been dealing with an issue since Nov 2017 with my S-Class. The dealer can’t seem to fix the issue and MBUSA is protecting the dealer. I will never buy another Mercedes. I have a 2 year old, C class AMG, still under MB warrantry. When bought from a non franchised MB dealer which had 4,500 on the clock when bought - It now has 7,800 on the clock. In that time the front discs have been changed once at 6,000 miles and are now due for change again. With a different issue. For the first week or two, the brakes were perfect. Then I could feel the brake pedal was pulsing. After a new set of MB discs. Current issue with these, is horrendous vibration on the car all over the car at minimum braking. (Anything above 20mph). Hard braking, the vibration disappears until you start easing off on the brakes. Or, you get below 20mph.3 weeks ago, it was booked into, first MB (Solihull) dealership, on latest discs changed at 5,500 roughly and car was showing 7,000. Lucas over the phone called me and said front discs are warped. Told him not correct (or words to that effect.) Cant be, its had new MB discs. He told me. In which case take it back to the (non) franchise dealer you bought it from and get them to repair it... which I was not happy with it the slightest. So, I talked to the manager of the dealership and he pacified me by saying, its a known issue, when bolting the wheels up to the hub (Basically fed me **, it turns out). So, two weeks ago, took it to an independent garage. After telling them the issues. They said instead of just slapping new discs on. They would check everything. So, they clocked the wheels to the hub. Both fronts running true. Then clocked the front hubs. Drivers side was running out 0.005 though. Passenger side was running bang on. (So, MB Solihull were wrong, and were effectively going to fit new discs to a hub that was out?)At that point Id decided never to use MB Solihull again. Due to Lucas telling me to take the car back to the dealers Id bought it from over the phone and an incorrect fault diagnosis. I think they were more interested in carrying out the software update to the powertrain module, than sorting out the issue I had with the brakes (Probably never even took the wheels off. Just drove the car. Experienced the vibration and fed me, what is in the customers handbook). Lucas said he would e-mail me the report. Needless to say, that never happened. Yesterday the non-franchised dealers I bought it from, had it booked it into 2nd different MB (Coventry) garage. I though to cure the problem. The dealer told MB Coventry, everything wed learned from the independent garage.I phoned MB Coventry at 2.30pm and was eventually told that theyd found the problem. It was rust on the hub and you have a broken bearing. So youve cured the problem? No. Weve not been told to cure it. And started to talk about corrosion on the mating faces. etc. Straight out of your How to get out of sorting a known issue handbook. (I was not polite, as by then Id realised that I would be driving this heap of scrap on the motorway for another week).Got off the phone and phoned up the garage who stripped the car down last week. They said no signs of rust on the hub. Then phoned the dealer and apparently MB had quoted for Two hubs. Even though one hub was running true... not sure what else they quoted for. Just knew they were trying to rip me off. I then went to the Coventry branch to pick the car up and discuss with the manager, the issues I have. He shows me pics of the hub and shows pics of the broken bearing. So, incredulously I say to him, youve stripped a car down and put it back together again with a broken front hub bearing, and are going to hand that car over to me? (Basically called him a liar as I didnt believe the hub he was showing me, was mine (Even if it was. The implications of giving a car back to a customer with a fault such as that, doesnt bear thinking about). He talked to me, out by the car and went all over the wheels looking for any signs of bangs or refurbishment, even suggested the wheels werent the originals... While he was doing this, I noticed that the outside areas of the wheels, were still covered in brake dust. So, voiced my doubts that theyd even taken the wheels off, at all. He persuaded me they had, as the wheel nut areas you could see no brake dust. Which brings me to the question that if MBs wheels/hubs, etc. are so critical on their mating faces that they need to be spotlessly clean. Surely the very first thing MB should do, before removing the wheels, is to remove any brake dust on the outside? So, when bolting up the wheels, Your not compounding the problem?(The car is vibrating all over the place. A bit more brake dust isnt going to make that much difference). The manager also blamed refurbished wheels? Everything basically that was not covered, by the MB manufacturing warranty. I then said, there is no way I would ever, take a car of mine to MB for anything and I wouldnt trust their mechanics to put my great grand daughters Lego together if their latest diagnosis on my car is to be believed. I will never buy an MB again, as they obviously have a serious design defect, that needs addressing, if the brake discs are that fragile. Manager agreed by looking sheepish, if that makes sense. My perception of MB is that they like scaring people into throwing their money away. Total whitewash with respect to my customers complaint. Obviously couldnt give a damn about their (ex) customers. More interested in trying to screw as much money out of gullible customers as they can. Clearly a good business model. But one ex-customer isnt going to make a difference.

The service also put charges on my credit card that were completely unauthorised and to this day has never responded as to why they did that. Even the Santa Monica dealership is awful. I bought this car in Dec-2016. From day-1, I could hear a screeching sound when applying the brake. When I reported, I was told that it is because its a new car and after few days it would stop. But I observed that this sound was not reducing at all and hence I took the car to the agency. I was told that they did some adjustments and the sound should cease now. I observed the same and one more agency visit did not resolve this issue. I have done annual maintenance/servicing in Dec-2017 & Dec-2018. Both the times I raised this issue but was never resolved. After each servicing, I used to get a Customer Servicing Feedback form where I raised this issue - but again it was ignored and never got any reply. In fact the mail I am forwarding now is a proof of me completing the survey this Dec-2018. Can I request someone in Mercedes-Benz to address my issue. When I decided to buy a Mercedes-Benz (after evaluating against Audi & BMW) I was 100% sure that I will not face any technical issues. But alas, here I am struggling to get some in Mercedes-Benz to address my concern. Can I expect a response?

I had a very bad experience with customer service assistant and Manager Steven. I visited the Plano Dealer for my first maintenance service. The lady assistant in the service line was not very friendly. I already mentioned I made an appointment. She didnt seem to care about what I said and asked me to call on the phone with her hands very rudely. I wasnt even feeling that bad, then I faced the adviser Mr. **. I was trying to mention a few questions about the auto control system. He didnt listen and was doing just his paperwork and ask me whats that? I had to have more this kind of conversation to get the information for the maintain service. Because this was the first time with Mercedes, the adviser did not listen to me, so I had to hear whats that? several times and spoke again. I became totally uncomfortable with the adviser. He did not even explain I had to have a loan car. When I went to pick up my car, one of my main concern, the noise, was not fixed. So I tried to explain the noise to the adviser and another guy, who was manager Steven. I didnt realize because he was standing in front of me without introduction. While I was explaining about the problem, they were talking to each other instead of listening to me. I felt I was ignored again. Finally, I asked for a manager, then the guy said, I am the manager. I was complaining how you people are rude, then he said that I was rude with stuck up face. I have been very happy with my car and the sales department people treats me with respect. On the other hand, service department people showed me very poor service and did not respect the customer at all. Even they charge the most expensive cost.

I purchased my C230 Mercedes Benz from Ed Hicks Mercedes in Corpus Christi, Texas in 2007. For over two years, I took my car in for service whenever the service maintenance light would come on, indicating that the service was due. In 2009, after having service maintenance performed at Ed Hicks Mercedes Benz dealership, I asked a friend, who is a mechanic, to check my vehicle to see if the maintenance I was charged for was indeed performed. After taking off the unit that shows the air filter, it was clear that it had not been replaced in several years with all the bugs and dirt that had collected on the filter. Next, the oil filter was pulled out and it was clear that the oil had not been changed in several months, even though I just had the oil change less than 4 hours ago. On the maintenance receipt, it clearly shows 6 quantities of oil change. C230 maintenance book shows 5.8 quantity of oil per vehicle. After checking other C230 maintenance receipts, I found out that I was charged 7 quantities, on others, I was charged 8 quantities of oil for my car when it can only hold 5.8 quantities of oil. My question is where were the additional quantities of oil being used for if not for my car?I drove my vehicle for over two years believing that the maintenance I was paying for was being done. I now know that they were not. I contacted Ed Hicks with my findings and they admitted that the oil change and filter was not replaced. The service manager was present when I took my car in. He saw for himself that the filter had not been replaced and the oil had not been changed. The mechanic told the service manager that he had an emergency that day and just forgot to complete the maintenance. However, Ed Hick refused to refund me the maintenance they have charged me for the job that was not performed. I need a lawyer that can help!

I am writing this letter to state my displeasure with having to replace the front rotors on my 2011 Mercedes E350 Blutec with only 30,584 miles. This is our fifth Mercedes starting in 2007 with an E320, a C320, E320 CDI, CLK350 and the current E350 Blutec. Each car was driven about 15,000 miles per year by both drivers, averaging 70% highway, 30% local. We have never had any problem with brakes, rotors or anything in that area. Our current Mercedes E350 Blutec has the sport package. On September 12, 2012, we had the front right tire replaced because we hit a pot hole that ruptured the sidewall of the tire. The tire was replaced by Quirk Mercedes of Bangor Maine, mileage 26,375.A summary of the succeeded maintenance By Brumos Mercedes of Jacksonville, FL follows: Service on October 17, 2012, car mileage 29339, for regular Flex A Diesel special. Right rear tire found to be worn bald. We ended up putting 3 new tires on the car. Total bill is $1,156.45. Service on November 12, 2012, car mileage 30,584. Incoming customer complaint: Very noticeable heavy vibration appears at most highway speeds. Service checked balance on all tires. The 3 that Brumos replaced checked okay. The RF tire that was replaced on September 14, 2012 by Quirk Mercedes of Bangor Maine needed to be rebalanced. Post service comment: There is a brake vibration at highway speeds coming from the front rotors. A cost estimate to replace both front brake rotors (brakes pulsate when applied) of $535.90. Total bill is $24.88. We now have a time period when we did not drive the Mercedes very much. Service on March 8, 2013, mileage 31,569. Note from last service visit: We discovered a noticeable vibration that appears when the brakes are applied at 35MPH and higher speeds. Customer has felt the same condition in the steering and in the drivers seat. The tech stated it needed front rotors. Service note 31580 found front brake rotors with excessive rotor run out causing a vibration when braking. The tech then replaced the front rotors, front pads and new sensor. Road checked okay. Bill total is $556.16. Our service advisor, who we like very much, informed us that the run out or warping is most likely caused by overheated brakes that cool unevenly such as keeping the brakes applied in the same spot after stopping or running through water with hot brakes. Nowhere in the Mercedes manual is this discussed.I would think that the excellence of German engineering would design rotors that would stand up to these conditions. I hesitate to declare a design flaw, but perhaps the design margins have been compromised for some other consideration. In any event, I really do not want to face another rotor replacement in another 30,000 miles.

Thanks to diminishing quality and outrageous dealer charges, depreciation on these cars is huge. If you avoid the hand grenades like air suspension, brake issues (2003-2006), exploding early 350 motors, and are prepared to never go near a dealer, you get an outstanding low mileage used car. I have a 1999 E320, purchased in 2009 with 45K miles, well under $10k. I now have 82k on it, and apart from a little A/C work, it has been trouble free and a pleasure to drive. Yes, oil changes are expensive at about $100, but are only required every 12k miles. I also have a 2007 CLK350 Cabrio, purchased last year with only 24k miles for under $20K. I have put about 10K miles on it so far, and it is as reliable and pleasant as the E320.

My name is Ahmed ** and I am from Saudi Arabia. I am writing to your esteemed company because I believe you care about your customers and their relationship with you. I experienced some issues with my new SLK 250 2012 (WDDPK4HAXCF042129). I had recently gotten home from work and then about 1 hour later, I tried to leave my house with the SLK. When I left in the middle of the road, it started to shack. At first, I thought it was the tire. It never occurred to me anything else since it is only been 8 days since I purchased it. After that I slowed down and parked a side then the engine went off. I turned off the electrical system and then started the car again. This time, the engine tried turning over, but did not “catch” and the car died again. The third time I went to start the car, the engine came on and made a very strange “gurgling” sound like it wasnt getting enough throttle/gas. So I gave the car a bit of “gas” by slowly pushing down on the accelerator pedal and the engine caught, but then quickly died. All this time, the instrument cluster was “fluttering”. The RPM needle was bouncing between 0 & 1k rpms very quickly (5-6 times per second). No warnings on the instrument cluster either. I gave up and called a truck to bring the car to the local dealer service center.I know that Mercedes-Benz is very concerned about its reputation but I was shocked by the way I have been treated by our local dealer here in Saudi Arabia (Juffali). For someone who just purchased a car, I was expecting more consideration. Moreover, they did not provide a substitute car for me which has a very strong impact on me being using public transportation instead of using my brand new car.

M-benz will hurt you. After my wife having a major electronic failure came home quite shaken just after leasing the Mercedes Benz sl63 AMG, I had the car checked. They said there were no error messages in the computer to collaborate her statements of the lights and the gauges going crazy inside and out of the car, with numerous error codes coming up. We later found out Mercedes Benz has their on board computer set to reboot with critical failure there by wiping the memory clean of the event. After other numerous electronic failures and not getting Mercedes to fix or even acknowledge them, even with photos and video, we were almost killed one night on the open highway on Oct 7 2013 when the same event that happened to wife finally occurred with me in the car. When the electronics went on rampage and freak-out lights flashing, bells dinging, flashing error codes and emergency message causing me to try to get the car on the shoulder of the road, I struck a piece of tire left on the road probably by a truck. It took the whole front of the car out. After 6 weeks of waiting for our car I called Fletcher Jones in Nevada. They told me they could not get the error codes to clear but not to worry, they were going to get it cleared up. 2 weeks later we got the car. I asked what it took to get the codes cleared up, he smiled and said the tech crashed the on board computer and it reset itself. When we drove the car back home from Vegas we had transmission trouble and error codes. I called Fletcher Jones in Las Vegas Nevada. They told me to take the car to Fletcher Jones in Ontario, 15 miles from our home in Verdemont CA. They kept the car for a few days and when they returned it they said there was nothing wrong with the transmission and there were no error codes. After several trips back to the dealership, half of the time they would not take the car. They refused to keep it till it was fixed and they would call me when the part came in. Before the part came in we were informed that my father in-law was on his death bed. I called, explained the situation and asked if they could expedite the part so we could take the car back east. I was informed by party dial that their main tech guy, George, said the car was safe to take back east the way it was.On our way out to pa, when we reached Flagstaff we started to have problems with the trunk not closing and the trunk opening while driving on the highway. By St Louis we had electrical problems and the trunk would not lock or close after opening. We drove to pa with trunk wired shut. While in pa the car was at Mercedes 4 times in 5 weeks. We were forced to stay an extra week waiting for parts to come in. We were told that the electronics were screwed up in the front of the car. Just outside to Amarillo Texas the same thing happened with the electronics that caused the accident and damage to the front of the car in October 7 2013. This time we caught it on video. We almost made it to the side of the road just before the car stopped running and went dark. The car coasted to a stop. We had no cell reception. We waited in the car for awhile. Out of desperation I tried to start the car and it sprang to life like nothing happened. Thank god we got this on video. It DID not matter to Mercedes Benz when I sent the video to Fletcher Jones in Ontario. They said not to bring in the car, they would show the video and Mercedes Benz and get back to us. They never DID!!! So much for the mantra the best or nothing.

Mid November my C-350 would not start. I had it towed to the ONLY authorized repair shop in Dayton OH, Bob Ross Centerville. After several days and repeatedly calling them, I was finally told that my fuel pump went out as well as the wiring had melted and the level switch needed replaced. Oh and by the way this will cost $1850 give or take a penny. 9 days later the repairs were complete. I paid my bill and life appeared to be good again. I was humming along for a whole 9 days and lo and behold a siren like sound emitted from the rear of my vehicle, namely the fuel pump area. This occurred 3 1/2 days ago. I now cannot get a return phone call and I have yet to receive a diagnostic. Is it really asking too much to get an update on my vehicle?! I wish I could contact someone from Mercedes Benz and explain to them that we have another fine choice for our automobile repairs called the Foreign Exchange. But by Bob Ross having a monopoly it is giving Mercedes Benz a horrible name. Please Mercedes address this issue before I choose not to own another one of your cars. Your name has always stood for quality and I am concerned that this repair center does not.

I own a Mercedes C300 2015 and I have maintained my car with regular services as per Mercedes. All of a sudden my car starts shaking to the point is unsafe to drive on freeways. Somehow I took it to Mercedes Benz of San Jose and I was told that piston and connecting rod need to be replaced and gave me a quote of 11K and mentioned, We are not sure if problem is limited to piston, it can be the whole block but we can’t say until we tear apart your engine. This car is being serviced at the dealer and they never mentioned that early C300 have wrist pin issues in their engines and they have a service bulletin for the same. Mercedes denies to take responsibility for this issue. On top of that my AC smells like dead rat. Again my dealer never mentions anything about lawsuit against Benz. To all reading my post if your car AC smells like dirty sock/rat there is a lawsuit against MERCEDES and they will have to fix it. For all owners of C300 take your car to dealer and have them inspect your car for POTENTIAL PISTON FAILURES and have that written in your JOB SHEET for FUTURE. Mercedes has been the worst unreliable and they are lying regarding their known issues and then not taking any responsibility for inferior quality of their parts.

I purchased a 2015 S Class Sedan on Nov 11, 2016 with 18,500 miles on it. A week later I started to notice the transmission downshifted hard from 5th to 4th. My car has been in the shop going on 14 days and this is after having it looked at once already. I am told today, that updating the software did not work which it took Mercedes 13 days to tell me that after already doing it over a month ago the first time. So, it appears it is a guessing game now, they say it may be the valve body or it could be this etc... nevertheless, it is in disrepair. I am currently driving a C300 loaner and while I am appreciative of the loaner, I did not buy a C300. I am making the payment for the S Class. The worst part is, they cannot tell me when they will have my car back to me.

I am having a dispute with my dealers service. I had my r350 towed on a flat bed by a contracted towing service provided by Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance due to a flat tire that had recently been plugged. Luckily, the car was been driven in town at a slow speed and not at highway speeds with my children in the car!Extensive damage was caused to the under carriage and to the BlueTEC line because of this tow. I havent been with my vehicle or even an offer of a loaner vehicle, since Aug 31, 2011. Neither the dealer nor the towing company are taking any responsibility for the damage. I have finally directed the dealer to just repair the bare minimum so the vehicle may be driven. This experience has tainted my trust in Mercedes-Benz. I have every intention of disposing of both my wifes r350 BlueTEC as well as my E63 AMG. These two vehicles are my 5th and 6th purchases of Mercedes-Benz products. You can rest assured that they will be my last. If your are interested in salvaging a once loyal customer, I would be happy to discuss the details further.

I had a 2006 ML350. It spontaneously caught fire as it was parked two hours after I had driven it. The firemen state in the report it was an electrical fire and started from a short in the rear taillight harness, much like the investigation in the C-class. They could determine that in only twenty minutes time. I brought this to Mercedes Benz USAs attention and they were careless about the safety dangers that this caused/posed. They said it wasnt a manufacturers defect. Might I remind you the car had been parked for 2 hours. God forbid if consumers found out that the ML-class would be involved in the same investigation as the C-class. They were of more concern about this being leaked or exposed and tried to sweep my case under the rug. They held my vehicle for about 2 months for their investigation and not to have any conclusion of the manufacturers defect is complete BS. They told me that the fire was inconclusive and not a manufacturers defect. Get this! They only gave me one case manager and limited me only to speak with her. After I had asked to speak to numerous other managers and higher ups they told me I strictly couldnt. After being trapped in this corporate cover up I had nowhere else to turn. SUSAN (my west coast regional case manager). How many other vehicle cases did they sweep under the rug like mine? I do not expect this kind of cover-up from Mercedes and would expect them to stand behind their vehicles. I only had 76,000 miles on it. An absolute nightmare!! THIS WENT TO CBS2 KCAL 9 THE BBB, NHTSA, numerous auto blogs ,CAS and the Federal Trade commission . IM STILL NOT DONE!!

Bought New 2009 C300. Only has 40,000 miles. Biggest junk we ever owned. Driver seat came apart. Paint on front bumper cover and all door handles peeling off (all plastic areas). Dealer agreed to repaint. After 1 year its happening again (Color is Mars Red). Car went into lock mode and wouldnt start. Had to be flat bedded to dealer. Blower motor for heat/air burned out. SRS system set off trouble codes dealer. Said bad seat belt parts. Car is out of warranty and have to pay for everything. Never owned such a junk!Bought New ML250 Bluetec Diesel. Just turned 20,000 miles on 4/4/17. Driving down road and starting surging. Went a little further down road and surging again. This time smelling Diesel fuel. Started smoking from under hood. Car broke down. Had to be flat bedded into dealer. Dealer said Fuel leak and all other related damage from fuel spraying on engine is due to rodent damage and warranty is not covering anything. Want to charge me $4500 to $5000 for repair.I dont believe there was any rodent damage and the fuel leak was caused by faulty parts. We drive the car every day. It doesnt sit around. I also drove it all day on 4/4/17 and this happened at 2:30 pm after driving all morning. I opened hood on roadside to make sure it wasnt on fire. Didnt see any signs on rodent nesting or anything. The car is under warranty and extended warranty and they wont cover anything. This is terrible customer service/relations. We are done with Mercedes-Benz. We will tell everyone we know. What is the sense of having warranty when they wont honor it. Rodent or not. Fix it. Warranty it. Its called customer service. What about the oil leak recall... which we havent got. I say that ruined the wires or harness and the oil ate through and that caused the problem. MB wont own up to these problems. When the MB Rep called me back she agreed with the dealers decision. Terrible. We are talking about New Vehicles $100,000 worth of JUNK. Our lawyer will be getting informed of these issues. We also filed a complaint with NHTSA.

Happy Saturday evening. My prayer is that Mr. Stephen Cannon reads this email and as president and CEO works to resolve this problem. I own a 2006 R 350. My problems started with the suspension air parts that cause the car to look as if it has a flat tire, when it doesnt. It looks as if the tire-rods or shocks have failed. With this problem, when one goes bad and you fix it, the other automatically goes bad, so you MUST change BOTH sides. This is not a cheap repair. Actually, nothing about MB is a cheap repair. Once I had that done, the CAM shaft went bad. For this my car has been in the shop for the past 3.5 months. Now after practically rebuilding the engine, the problem is still not resolved. It cant be resolved, because all the parts were manufactured bad so when you replace one part something else goes bad. Ive found online that most if not all of the 06 and 07 R class models have had this same problem, MB is aware and have not recalled the cars. Over $6000 worth of new parts and labor, yet my car is still not fixed. These cars or at least mine should be recalled and the owners should be reimbursed for this literal pain and suffering. I have been terminated from my job and unable to get another because I dont have transportation. This was not my first MB. I have had 4, but this certainly may be my last if I cannot get any resolution to this. I have sent 2 emails. This is the 3rd to MB and was assigned a case manager. She called me 2 times. Ive called her more than 10 times. All I get is a person on the phone that says, I see that you left her a message. Is this the number where you can be reached? I say yes and that ends the call. Ok she will call you today. I attempted to reach MB via a BBB complaint, but they arent affiliated. LOST WITH A R-CLASS LEMON. Its sad that you dont acknowledge that these cars are lemons, but then again you do acknowledge, because you have discontinued the model. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

I have a 2003 mb 500 sl and I still own the car. For a car that costs more than $135,000.00, I am extremely disappointed in the major problems I have. All services have been done diligently and I have had to pay for many as you know the problems arise only after the warranty expires.Currently I am facing a serious color fade on the bonnet/hood and a leak from the closure point of the convertible above the driver when the car is washed or when it rains. And it rains in Florida. This is not something that the mb dealership wants to fix and I am disappointed that for a car that expensive, problems like these should be non existent or cost covered by Mercedes to say the least. All of my other Mercedes and I had 3 prior, the family all own Mercedes, did not have such issues. I am very disappointed and I so wanted to keep this car and buy another to run around. Can you please assist in my dilemma and in correcting these problems?

A recall on my CLK500, 2006 for a bonding issue sliding roof. About a year ago, while driving east bound on Highway 90 in Chicago IL, My sliding roof bonding gave way. As I was driving the sun/moon roof flew off. Thankfully no other cars were following closely and no one got hurt. After I got home, I ordered the part and got the car fixed. Just about now, I received a message from the dealer on a open recall for the same issue. Since I had already got the vehicle fixed I was hoping I would be reimbursed for the cost of parts and labor. As per the dealership this is an issue that needs to be addressed by Mercedes support center, while The Mercedes support center suggested the opposite. Been going in circles. I have had nothing but issues with this car and would never suggest to waste your money with Mercedes. A very unhappy and unsatisfied customer.

I am very disappointed about how Mercedes-Benz being so irresponsible of the subpar products which they do not stand behind. My friend purchased a brand new Sprinter back in 2017. After less than a year and just over 24K miles, the car had failed to accelerate with very noticeable knocking noise coming from engine compartment. My friend took it to Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn and was given a lame explanation of cause by water buildup. He was given an estimate of almost $30K to replace the whole engine assembly. How ridiculous! The price tag for the truck is about 60K and less than a year and under 25K miles later, it needs a new engine! I can never imagine a brand name like Mercedes-Benz would produce a subpar product like this and yet refuses to stand behind. I do not think it is the right approach to retain existing customers and attracting new customers. I would give 5 thumbs down if I had the choice.

I am driving your make of cars for 20 years and never found fault, but unfortunately I have had 2 punctures in 3 weeks and each time the kit didnt work. My car is 7 months old with low mileage. This happened in a car park firstly and I had to call recovery the second time I was on the motorway and was stranded for 3 hours. The first tire cost €140 and because it wasnt the correct thread my pressures were out so I went to my nearest Mercedes garage and a new tire was €129.00 then the system balanced. Then on the motorway another tire at a cost of €150.00. All because this new kit didnt work for me.

My 2006 Mercedes Benz ML350 was diagnosed with a balance shaft problem at another shop. I brought it back to Mercedes Benz of Baton Rouge to check and make sure the diagnosis was correct. The service manager Dan notified me that I did have the problem and that it would cost approximately $6,000.00.I had been talking to MB USA about some type of assistance. MB USA notified MB of BR and promised to pay 50% of the bill. I only had $2,000.00 which I told Dan. I went and borrowed $1,000.00 to repair my truck. MB of BR kept my vehicle about three weeks. I was called by Dan on Wednesday, August 10, to tell me that my vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. I arrived at the dealership at approximately 5:45 p.m. I paid for the vehicle and drove it to Prairieville, LA, approximately 30 minutes away from the dealership. I went shopping at Walmart. I cranked my vehicle at 7:05 p.m. I heard a loud noise and the car cut off. I restarted and I had plenty of codes on the screen. I immediately called MB of BR at 7:09 p.m. and left a voice message about my vehicle. I returned the vehicle to MB of BR the next day. I was notified yesterday, August 16, 2010, that several sensors had gone out and it had nothing to do with the repair work that they completed on my balance shaft. I was quoted $1,700.00 to fix this problem. I only drove the car for 30 minutes, approximately 20 miles, and my car broke down. I was never notified about any other issues with the engine; however, I was made aware about some routine maintenance such as new tires, brake pads, and a shock. I have tried to talk to the owner, Joe, the service manager, Dan and Bryan, who is over at the repair area. I also talked to Gwen and Margie. Bryan told me that I told Dan to only fix the balance shaft problem. Dan and I disclaimed that statement. I never told anyone at MB of BR to only work on the balance shaft problem. I never knew anything about other problems and was not given that information. When I left MB of BR, my vehicle was clear of any errors. Bryan claims that he even drove my vehicle approximately 70 miles and he did not get any codes; however, within 20 miles of me driving it, it broke down. They disconnected the electrical system and removed the motor, and MB of BR is telling me that the new problem did not stem from them working on the vehicle for three weeks.

I purchased my C280 with 7 miles on it. It was the car of my dreams and my very first new car. To make a long story short, five years after purchase and a lot of money invested in maintenance and repairs and no warranty, Ive been told that I need to replace the camshaft plugs, sensor, adjuster, balance shaft, engine mounts, transmission mounts, timing chain and seals. Not to mention, both door handles broke off a few months ago (and to think I blamed my children). Whats worse, the mechanic added that those problems are common problem in C class vehicles from years 2006 to beginning 2008. Basically, the Mercedes Benz company is aware that this problem occurs in their vehicles due to a plastic camshaft that was previously used. Why wasnt I told this while I was still under warranty? Why werent the parts ever recalled? I am so hurt because I cant afford the $5,500 repair on my dream car! The quality I always thought accompanied the luxury of Mercedes Benz is a joke and I cant begin to express my disappointment.

I have tried adjusting the seats several times to no avail. All MB Gold Coast could suggest was to buy another MB with more comfortable seats in it. Or come in so they could check the seat adjustment. After going online I find a lot of people complaining about this problem. Even 2 car reviewers commented on how bad the seats were. A year ago I purchased my first Mercedes, a 2010 Mercedes Benz, GLK350. My first foreign car. The car has been driven less than 3500 miles by me. I get into the car over a week ago and the light comes on in the dash (Frontal SRS/airbag). The car will not start. The AAA service came and tried to jump me, with no success in getting the car started. He tested the battery and replied and showed me that my battery was great. Your mechanic looked at the car, after I had it towed to your dealership) and Chris informed me that the battery was no good. (The mechanic stated he could not see what was wrong until I purchased the battery.) And wanted to charge me $500.00. We all know, with common sense, that comment was incorrect.I’ve always known, if I bought a foreign car, I had to know my rights and become very knowledgeable of the Model/Make. So I maintain counsel. I remembered the recall of the airbag and airbag sensor. I noticed the rear taillight not working (A possible symptom due to faulty pyro-fuse.) If the car has a pyro-fuse and this fuse is not properly working, there is no way to start the car. It is not difficult to change the pyro-fuse but the SRS system might need a reset. Also if the issue was at the pre-fuse box. The frontal module has harmed other electrical parts on my car and need replacement. Chris informed me that the problem was possibly the pre-fuse box and it needed to be replaced and my total cost is $1300-1400. He also stated that they were not sure that the pre-fuse was my problem. There could be other issues, but I must pay for the box first before they could find out definitely. I informed him of the recall and he stated the recalls had nothing to do with the pre-fuse box. I requested that he at least repair the recall items. The parts of the recall, he states, are pending. So I find people have died because of this recall, per legal counsel, including the defected rear tail light. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN.I AM REQUESTING THE FOLLOWING: For this service expense to be applied to either recall or manufacturer including the battery cost and replacement. Whatever sensor is faulty, the battery was drained. Return my old battery and the pre-fuse box. Make arrangements for a loaner until recall parts are in and replaced Hire employees who are professionally experienced, compassionate, knowledgeable, honest and not greedy to take extra money home to care for his family (per the attendant). If one possesses the traits requested, his sales will increase tremendously.

He informed me that it was due to my driving style and that no other e550s have had this problem and Id just have to live with it. Then in the next breath he told me that the brake assembly was too big for the car (manufacturing problem). They had it in the shop, put something on the breaks and then we went for a test drive later that day while he was in town. No squeak. Amazing, but not at all surprising. Later that day and seven miles of driving the whining started; then the shrill squeaking was right back. I live in NH, purchased 2017 GLC 300 in the Spring and was told I would need winter tires (which I always need on my SUVs). Salesperson did not tell me I wouldnt be able to get snow tires for this car. The tires are run flats and the size is a rare run fast snow tire size. MB USA told me I could purchase regular snow tires, but then I would have to purchase a new wheel and tire for a spare at the cost of over $700 just for the spare! Even if I wanted to buy a spare, the car is designed for run flat tires only and there is no place to store the tire and no jack, etc. I told MB that I refuse to buy 5 regular snow tires, and lug the smelly spare around in the back of my car. Additionally, it would take up all the space that I use for luggage, groceries, etc. I am insisting on returning the car. I spent a lot of time considering a new SUV, and would have immediately taken the GLC 300 off the list if I had been informed of this situation. So, here I am in NH, living on a steep dirt road without snow tires.

At the time, I figured Mercedes did not update their system to reflect the new lease purchase. This was during the second week of Nov. I had my license plates put on my new vehicle on the 16th of Nov and inquired about the notification to Claudio **, the salesman who sold me the lease. At that time, he explains that I have to work that through Mercedes Financial or I could have had that rolled into my new lease payment. I spoke to his boss, Peter, on 16 Nov. who told me there was nothing that they could do although they wish they could. On 17 Nov., I had to travel out of town for work and then came the holiday. I contacted Claudio last week, and asked to discuss this matter with the district manager. I was told to call him this evening. His name is Scott. Scott explained to me that I missed a window of opportunity after I spoke with Peter. I had 24 hours to respond in person. That opportunity consisted of redoing my contract so that the $2500 which was never brought to the table during the deal process could be rolled into my new monthly payments. However, when I spoke to Peter, I was told that there was nothing he could do so this window of opportunity was in fact never presented to me in writing nor verbally.I explained this to Scott who seemed surprised. I have asked Scott to send me all of this information in writing explaining that a window of opportunity was presented and it is no longer valid. No other options have been presented to me. I am a disabled veteran who has been a loyal customer with Mercedes since 2007. Now that the deal has been made, Im being treated poorly because the entire terms of agreement at the time that the deal was made, were not explained to me either verbally or in writing. I only went into this new lease agreement because according to the terms of agreement that were laid out, that I was informed of, it was a great deal. I have since been blindsided with the omission of a lease penalty I would be responsible for upon accepting the deal. The fact that the $2500 lease penalty or any lease penalty for that matter fee was never brought up during the entire deal process is a tremendous error on that entire sales team. I am kindly requesting your assistance for a viable solution because this type of treatment is unwarranted and completely unprofessional.I have since contacted the CEO, Mike Morais, and received a response from him in Dec 2012 apologizing and informing me that he would look into this matter and get back to me. I have sent follow up correspondence as there is not a listed number for him to no avail. I have informed Mercedes Benz Financial from beginning to end about this matter. They too have tried contacting the dealership to no avail. Ultimately, I am responsible for full payment and this is a hardship which I have explained and have attempted to work with Mercedes Benz Financial to make payments to avoid delinquencies. However, my account was recently submitted to a collections agency as I was unable to make the minimum amount requested by Mercedes Benz Financial. I did work out a plan with the collection agency that is within my budget constraints. However, this situation should have never come to this. My vehicle to this was in mint condition and the only reason why I traded it in is because I was tricked into a deal. Thank you for your time and attention.

Im one of the unfortunate people that purchased not one but two vehicles that fell into the terrible HVAC issue (2015-2018). I had a 2015 GLK and now have a 2018 GLE. Both have the known issue of the horrible vinegar, mildew smell that comes out of the AC every single time you turn it on. There was a class action lawsuit that required them to fix this issue, but they find loopholes and of course their technicians cannot explain why my car isnt covered, even though my VIN clearly shows that it should be covered. After Dec 2020 you were supposed to be able to go into a dealership and have the problem fixed.I took my car to the dealership in Pleasanton, CA, the service coordinator confirmed the smell immediately. After looking at the car she called to say the tech also identified immediately but then went on to say it wasnt covered... but couldnt explain why. After she had told me that they had in fact fixed several vehicles with the same issue a few months prior... my EXACT model and year.I contact Mercedes Benz USA. After reviewing my complaint they offered a goodwill credit of $300... towards a $613 repair. They said they considered customer loyal, the age of the car, service, etc. So Im not sure why I didnt fall under that umbrella... Ive had 2 MBs, I sent over all service records, my car only has 50k miles... and I worked for Mercedes in my 20s in the SERVICE department filing claims. I am the definition of customer loyalty. This is just a slap in the face. It took me over 20 years to finally buy my first Mercedes (I had wanted one since working at the dealership) and its an accomplishment, I should be proud of my vehicle. But Im embarrassed to have people ride in it. This is supposed to be a luxury vehicle and it smells rancid.I am so disappointed that they would rather lose a customer and their reputation over a few hundred dollars. They clearly do not stand by their product or their customer service relationships. I would completely understand if this was just MY car but it affected over 2 million cars and covered 3 years... I ended up with 2 of them and I cant even get one of them fixed. Needless to say Im done, its just the principle of bad business, I dont believe in it. I support those that support me. I feel cheated.

C300 with 90,000 Km. Would not start - catastrophic failure. Repair bill to $8000 with no end in sight. Weber Motors in Edmonton gouging and was MB Canada doing nothing. I am ready to walk away from this car. I finally threatened to sue and spoke to the manager and the bill is now about $5K. They tried to tell me it was reverse boosted when it has never been boosted at all. Really????? Totally unacceptable. To put in perspective, my previous car was an Infiniti which I kept to 260,000 KM and no problems with it. The one before that was a Volvo which I kept to 268,000 Km with no problems. I take very good care of my vehicles and I did same with the MB to no avail. When I get this car fixed, I am selling it as soon as I can. It will be a cold day in hell before I have another MB.

I own an ML 500 2008 model. At no more than 10000 km, the front suspension collapsed. 30000 km later, the same problem occurred. Mercedes Benz refused to repair and I had to pay over R30000 for replacing it. At 150000 km the hydraulic pump collapsed. I had to pay R9000 for a replacement. One month later, it collapsed again!! They replaced it on guarantee. One month after, same problem with the pump happened again. They replaced it and said that if it happens again, it is my problem and they will not look at it again!! Now the car has 170000 km and it does not change gears. I have to stop the car in the middle of the road to switch the engine off to reset the computer and start it again. It happened a couple of times during the day. The central locking is not working either. The suspension is making a terrible noise when I go over bumps. This is the ** car I ever had!! My wife drives a BMW, no problems at all.I wrote to Mercedes customer care services a few months ago about the problems and Im still waiting for an answer. The car is always serviced at Bedfordview dealer. What a ** dealership? Its always my mistake for the failures!! Soon i will take the car outside of BMW head office and set it on fire after I invite all the car magazines and the management of Mercedes to see what I do to rubbish cars like this. I will then walk in to BMW AND GET AN X5.

We purchased a new GLS 550 SUV in 2017 to replace our 2004 Toyota Sequoia with over 200,000 miles. The Mercedes has been a disappointment from day 1. Terrible handling in rain and snow. The ride is stiff and uncomfortable. Expect to pay over $2,000 for tires every 20,000 miles. Simple oil change and service will set you back several hundred. We could never get the radio/nav to consistently work in spite of numerous trips to dealership. The best part is we leased this vehicle in 2017 and the lease expires soon. We are under our mileage since we continue to use the old Toyota Sequoia as it is more comfortable. We actually plan on paying the remaining 2 months on the lease and returning vehicle early since it only takes up space in the garage. Our next purchase will be another Toyota.

I had been a Mercedes Benz user for the past decade since Mercedes Benz began its operation in India. I had bought my first Benz E240 in April 2002 through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. The vehicle is extraordinary and has served to my expectation. It is in a pristine condition until today. Satisfied with the vehicle and quality of service here at Chennai, I had bought another Benz in February 2007 (S350K) through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. for about Rs. 82 Lakhs. It had no major or minor problems until December 2010. I had a minor problem with the front wiper controls in 07 Dec 2010. The wiper starts to behave in a funny fashion even when the vehicle is parked and locked. This posed a huge problem. Even after the service on December 2010, the wiper problem was not rectified. It was resent back to the shop on 06 Jan 2011 and subsequently for the same problem on 12 Jan, 30 May and 29 Jun. Still, even after this much attention and care, the problem exists and I was not offered a complete or even a remotely satisfactory answer for the problem. Even more, I was charged for the same unsolved problem by your people again and again.I had mailed you regarding the same but with no clear opinion except a mail for the same. Yesterday, I had to drive the vehicle as my chauffeur was absent. Unexpectedly, there was rain. The wiper did not function in spite of repeated attempts. I had to park the vehicle in the highway and could only start when the rain stopped after an hour. My question is, when my old vehicle is reliable and has no problem, why should an advance model have problem? Why am I not explained of the problems in spite of multiple inquiries and services at your authorized center? Why was the problem not rectified during the service of the vehicle? Why was there no satisfactory answers/replies about the problem from your people at Chennai? If you want more details of the receipt and fees, I shall be able to send it.This failure on the highways could have caused an accident. It is pathetic that a reputed and time-tested concern should deal with a problem in this unconcerned manner in spite of strictly adhering to schedule for maintenance. I hope that my problem will get attended here amicably.

As of May 24, 2016, I spoke with the General Manager, Dan **, several times this week, at the St. George, Utah, Mercedes-Benz Dealership. He was professional and promptly investigated my complaints and concerns. Dan stayed in constant communication with me. Upon completion of his investigating the facts; he determined that since his organization diagnosed the problem on my vehicle incorrectly, that he would in his words, make it right, and honor the initial estimate and make the repairs on my vehicle accordingly at no additional charge to me. He ordered the additional parts and apologized for any inconvenience this ordeal has caused me and my family. At this point, I am very satisfied with the outcome and looking forward to picking up my vehicle by Saturday. It is refreshing to me to see that good leadership does still exist in business today. As a consumer, it is very important to give the decision makers and people in positions to affect outcomes an opportunity to solve the problem. Sometimes, things are not as they appear on both sides of a disagreement. I would like to thank Dan and his Service Department Team at Mercedes-Benz of Saint George, Utah, for again making me a satisfied customer. I would recommend this organization to all potential car buyers, my friends, and family, without reservation. This dealership has impeccable integrity and will go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. Respectfully submitted, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Pete Webster.

I have a 2009 Smart car and the paint top clear coat is peeling off all over the car. If you google this issue, you will see that many of the Smart cars have paint issues, especially the red ones (which mine is). I called the Smart headquarters and I was instructed to apply for the Goodwill out of warranty process. I went ahead and got the estimate from their approved Auto shop and submitted that. I received a call today from Adam from the Mercedes-Benz headquarters and my request to have the car painted was denied. I saved for 3 years to purchase that car new. It now looks terrible and Mercedes-Benz has to know that this is an issue with their Smart cars. So, now I ride around in a crappy looking car. When people ask me how I like my Smart car, I take them for a walk around my car and then inform them that Mercedes-Benz will not back this issue up. I am very disappointed with their customer service. You would think that it would make more sense for them to fix the problem, versus me riding around in a crappy looking Smart car. Clearly, they dont care about their customers and keeping them happy. I would never recommend any Mercedes-Benz dealership. I should have bought a Subaru based on their excellent customer service.

You all have a little problem. You dont have a lawyer to fight for you. The only way Mercedes Benz understands you are serious about it is when you are filing the lawsuit. Listen, if you think you can win, spend the money and file your complaint with the courts and then send the outcome to the New York Times. They love to hear about the fights of the little people versus the big bears. Youll be amazed how quickly the office of Ralph **, VP of Customer Care at Mercedes Benz USA in Montvale, NJ call you back. If he doesnt, hire a big rat and put them in front of their office. I bought a 2018 GLE43 AMG Mercedes brand new. This was the first Mercedes and will be the last. This car was 85k and I paid cash. I figured you pay that much more you get more. Wrong! First week 640 bucks to replace a tire! Figured a fluke. Then at 19k miles all tires replaced. I refused to use Mercedes for my new tires. They don’t deserve my business! Then service B rolls around at 19,599 miles and they charge me 670.00 which on any other car other than Mercedes would be below 300 bucks. I have things just break, consoles and knobs. This is the a piece of crap. I owned a bug and Lexus and they both came thru for me and didn’t need the pampering. Heavens ... to top it off Sewell In Houston Texas, can’t even return a call. They are not what they claim. They are poorly trained. Stay away from Mercedes and Sewell. They both rip you/off.

Took the car for a thorough checkup prior to the factory warranty expiration. This car has only 25,000 miles. Service agent said car checked out fine. She did some minor work. To my dismay 4 months later there is an oxygen sensor issue and the engine light is on indicating either sensor or a computer panel issue which could cost thousands. The service agent Lorena was extremely rude and even told me why dont I have my friend who tested this and found out, fix my car since its out of warranty. This is unbecoming of Mercedes Benz and she should not be working there period.

I went to get my car serviced and requested if they would make sure they would wash and clean my car; specifically, vacuum the car trunk. The service fellow assured me that they do it for all cars that they service and it would be done. Well it wasn’t. I expected they would wipe the seats, clean the glass but all they did was a shabby vacuum job and washed the car mats. When I called and complained to Gordon, all he said was sorry they were supposed to vacuum the trunk but I guess they didn’t. He went further to say that they usually don’t clean glass or wipe the interiors at all. But he would mention it to the manager. It was such a cold response from the service provider at Mercedes Benz. He could have said, “Well, whenever you can come by, we will clean your car,” but he offered nothing. Useless cheap service. I purchased a brand new Mercedes Benz E350 4MATIC Sport from Fort Washington Mercedes in PA. My son and I took delivery of the car and as we were going home we heard a loud burst and the tire pressure monitor indicated malfunctioning rear right tire. The rear tire blew out at 40 miles odometer reading. The part that worried me the most was I lost control of the vehicle when it happened and was on the verge of hitting a car on the right lane. The emergency service in the car did not work. I had to call my insurance company for roadside assistance. It took them more than an hour to come and replace with a spare tire. There are numerous reports about E350 tire blowouts but I did not take them seriously and purchased E350 but I do not feel safe with this vehicle anymore. Im under constant worry of tire blowout and accident. I paid lot of money for this car and also purchased stress and fear. Note that tire blowout at high speed can cause serious accident and you never know when the blowout would occur. Im not sure what options I have but Im going to talk to the dealer. This car can put you in harms way. I realize now how serious the tire blowout problem is. Please be careful if you intend to buy this car.

I purchased a 2010 C300 less than a year ago with only 25,000 miles on it. Ten months later, I am told that my car needs a new transmission and would cost about $10,000 to replace it. I only placed about 8,000 miles on the car and was told that my car was out of warranty. I adhered to all of the maintenance requirements and had my car serviced at all due dates. The car dealership told me that I should contact Mercedes Benz to ask for assistance because this was highly unusual. After calling Mercedes and pleading my case, I was told that the only thing they would do is offer me 10% off repairs or $1,000 towards the cost of a new Mercedes. I continued to plead and wrote letters to the top officials and never received any help or assistance. To make matters worst, I prepared myself to order the transmission and have it installed only to find out that the transmission is on back order. Mercedes Benz told me that it could take up to a year to have a transmission available. This is coming from the MB manufacturer that makes the cars and they dont have a transmission available. Now, my car sits in a garage unable to move while I still make the monthly payments. Buyers should be aware. This company does not provide customer assistance or service. I will never buy another MB.

January 30, 2014 I leased a 2014 C300 from Mercedes Benz of West Bloomfield in Michigan. Upon arrival while picking up my new lease I was advised that my car has been hit and damaged and I would not be able to pick the car up. I waited almost 2 weeks because the paint was being shipped from another country. After that I picked up my car and had no problems with it until June of that year. My first attempt of turning on my AC for the summer was a failure. The AC was not working on my brand new Benz. I took it in for service 5 times for the same issue and every time they assured me that the problem was solved only for it to happen again. Yesterday July 27, 2014 I was driving on the highway going 70 mph, 2 miles before my exit I decide to get off the highway, and thank God I did or else I wouldnt be writing this right now. As soon as I got off the highway my car went from 50 to zero in a matter of seconds.Thankfully I got off when I did or I would have died on that highway or I could have killed someone. Still in a panic I called my dealership and explained what had happened, they told me to contact roadside assistance and have the car towed there and that a loaner car was waiting for me. And so I made the call, I waited for them for an hour. My car could not turn on and it was 95 degrees outside. Finally when the gentleman arrived he loaded my car and we started driving. He then informed me that my car was going to the Novi location which was 30 mins away from where I was now. I explained that my car is to be towed to West Bloomfield, the driver stated that he could lose his job if he did not drive to Novi. I called roadside assistance and they spoke to the driver and told him to turn the truck around and take me to West Bloomfield, he did not listen. We finally made it to Novi, Im beyond furious at this point. The representative at the desk said, I dont have a loaner car for you, and the earliest we could look at your car would be next week. After an argument between myself, the tow guy and Novi dealership I got back into the truck and drove 1 hour in the opposite direction back to Bloomfield Hills. Upon arrival my loaner car was ready. I was then on my way. I then called corporate and advised them of what had happened. I also told them that I no longer feel safe in my car and I either want my lease terminated or to be put in a new car. Today they called me saying it was a computer problem (the whole computer burned out) and once they change the computer my car will be running fine again. I refuse to drive that car, Im waiting on a call from corporate. In conclusion, Mercedes Benz sucks!!!

2012 GL350 blue - An absolute nightmare of epic proportions. Purchased new from my dealer to drive to Georgia. Drove the following day to GA and back. Noticed oil all over my garage floor. Called dealer immediately and took in. Told loose oil line. This continued to happen four more times. Drove car very little. Had two other cars. One week before I was due to turn in was driving it and check engine light came on. Called dealer. Said couldnt get me in. To keep driving it, that it probably was just a bad sensor and happens all the time. I parked it over the weekend and didnt drive it. Following Monday took it to take my daughter to dentist, dash lights flash, power steering goes out, car is dead. Had towed to my dealer. Was told engine full of sludge. Engine blown and they can fix it for $30,000.00. Words cannot express my feelings in buying a $70,000 car and having a blown engine at 26,000 miles with no warranty. This happened in August. I renewed my lease and took to a certified garage for repairs. Came home to an orange notice two days before Christmas from a repo agent. I called immediately. No one would answer. Left two messages. Called MBFS said they were no longer going to honor the lease extension and want the car back. I explained to them the car is being fixed. You know where it is and have the whole time. They agreed. Such a horrible nightmare. Made all my payments. Fixing car which was not my fault to begin with. Have all records of leak from my dealership, also the oil all over my garage floor (lucky for me my dealership did provide me with degreaser as their solution to get the oil off the floor, which it didnt), also have letter from Mercedes wanting to take my car to their proving grounds in Ann Arbor Michigan; that they are running test on the Blue engine from 2012. I would appreciate anyones help. Too many details to list all here. Most unbelievable. So utterly devastated.

I bought a Sprinter from Fletcher Jones on June 20, 2015, and many thing went wrong. First the car didnt have some accessories they said it had including CD player and tire accessories. I have picture of the car in dealership showing some accessories on it. They removed some accessories which was on the car and gave it to me as new owner while they took the car for washing. Second, the roof was leaking so bad that I couldnt use it while raining. My handicap mother and family became wet along all our belongings. I have pictures documented the rain from roof falling down. Roadside assistant didnt come to help, they even couldnt find cars owner name.On July 20, 2015, I took the car to the dealer and they said they even dont repair it there and I have to take it to Temecula. Finally, they accepted to repair the car problem after many hours of wasting my time. On July 22, 2015, I went to take the car back. Instead of handing me car repair report and apologies for the problem, they handed me a bill for registration that I have to pay and they claimed they forgot to bill me. DMV record shows they took registration fee which had been paid by last owner or dealer, which they said the last owner paid already and manipulated the document and started charging me for the same fees. Document and DMV record for my car shows that it dated the same day I took the car back and complained about leaking problem. After all, Scott, Customer Service Manager, confirmed multiple times that they will pay registration fees and they did not. I emailed DMV and they confirmed they received money but never sent me the tag. I have the email document. When I did not receive the tag not for 2015 and not for 2016, I went to DMV office in Santa Ana and I found out they paid and then they took the money back. Now I have to pay even penalties. The car even missing last years tag. I am wondering how and who in DMV office in Placentia, industrial branch 619, is supporting them to manipulate the documents.Fletcher Jones Dealers sale, service and customer service team are not reliable and trustworthy at all. They also said my car has car wash service, later they denied it. They lied in multiple occasion and manipulated customer multiple times. If they are big dealer, we have big country and someone has to stop them ripping off clients time, money and energy. They lie when they are selling, they lie and try to trick when they are writing the contract. Make sure read the contract word by word because they change it and ask you to sign. We own a 2009 C300, with 4matic transmission. The car started to make a grinding noise which was being emitted from the center of the car. The car only had 60,000 miles at that point. We took the car to our family mechanic, and he told us it sounded like it was coming from the transmission and he advised we take the car to the dealer. We took the car to Mercedes of Danbury CT. They told us we needed a completely new transmission, and the price was $7,500. We told them it was outrageous that the car needed a new transmission at 60K miles. They told us the warranty only goes until 50K and there was nothing they could do.The dealer told us the car was probably not taken care of, but we took very good care of it. We had Mercedes of Nanuet (the original dealer) look up the records to prove that the transmission service had been performed right on time, and that the car was very well taken care of. In a desperate attempt, we called Mercedes USA. We talked to a regional manager and told him the whole story. The result was they were willing to discount the repair to $6000. We told them this is unacceptable. Given the car had been well serviced, the issue indicates an engineering problem with the transmission. A quick google search will show that many people have the same issue with the transmission. After Mercedes refused to do any better, we took the car back to our family mechanic. He opened up the transmission, replaced the bearing that had failed, and charged us a total of $1,000. In his opinion the transmission has a design flaw. You would think a luxury automobile manufacturer such as Mercedes Benz would treat you well. Obviously that is not the case. We will be selling the car, and will never purchase a Mercedes Benz again.

Buyers beware! You may run into the same problems that I have with a 2013 E-Class Sedan. The car (VIN=**) was delivered on 31 Dec 2012 and shortly thereafter developed a problem with the SmartKey. Take my word for it smart this key aint. It works best when at the dealer, when I first reported that problem with the unreliability the reaction was. This guy is a nut. Always very politely but the message was clear. Fortunately the system fail during a non-related service visit at the dealer. That did initiate some more investigation, after several visits to replace door handles, antennas, etc. the key not detected message, failure to lock or unlock still exists. The final straw was when it was determined that the problem was the clothes I wear. The recommended fix was to use a leather cover over the SmartKey. That failed to make any difference so I have given up and decided to live with the issue until the warranty expires. At that time I decided that the only reason buying a Mercedes could be justified is to impress your neighbors. Because I could care less what my neighbors think. Once this car is traded it will be replaced with ANYTHING but a Mercedes. The other issue is the GPS that must have been designed by a high school student. To update to the latest maps you have to wait until the maps for your car are released. It is astoundingly idiotic that the maps for every year, body style and class are different. Not only that for less than half of the update cost you can buy a Garmin that includes the GPS unit and lifetime maps that have markedly superior performance. So much for German engineering. Having said that, the car is a pleasure to drive on the highway, the roadability and comfort can not be criticized.

The car is 2010, it rides like a full size car. Controls are very convenient for access. It has the bi-turbo 3 liter which has more than ample horse power for a sports vehicle with a much larger motor. Repairs are few I the three years I have had this vehicle. Traction in the snow is unbelievable. This car is just a pleasure to drive year round, fuel economy is great.

When I purchased my new car in 2005, I wanted it to be special. My initial thought was to purchase a Toyota Camry. But after test driving a Mercedes (just for fun), I convinced myself that if Toyotas were great cars, then Mercedes Benz would be an excellent car. I really thought that MB would have better engines. But now that my car is non-functional at less than 100,000 miles, I wish I would have stuck with my first instinct and bought a Toyota. After reading different class action lawsuits, I find this to be a common problem with several MB models. I realized MB cars are not as good as I thought or had claimed to be. I am very discouraged with engineering technology on this car. I can’t imagine paying almost the same amount I owe to repair the car. But I honestly don’t see myself purchasing another MB vehicle again. I hope for MB to take care of its customers, as I have heard other dealers such of Toyota, Jeep and Ford taking care of theirs. I want Mercedes to get me in a new car, fix my car or purchase it off from me.

I love my MERCEDES GLK. I was recently hit head on by a driver that crossed a double yellow line and totaled my car. The car saved my life, and I’ve purchased another just like it! Love the all wheel drive - it handles great on the ice and snow, and overall very smooth ride. Comfy, classy and durable! Highly recommend.

My old 1998 Mercedes SLK230 runs like a new car, never any problems. We own two Mercedes cars, and both work like a charm. My SLK230 has been driven from Dallas to San Antonio and back in 4 days, and we had no problems on the way. Considering that this is an old car, the workmanship on it is excellent.

Since I had received my car Class B-150 in 2008. I am suffering from it because of many problems. Brakes: Its not up to the expected when needed (very weak). Makkar Agency has been informed of this problem and they made necessary maintenance (as assumed by them) till the expiry of the guarantee period. Then they asked for a complete adjustment for the whole brake system!!! After this incident, I moved to Katameya Maintenance Center. During 2011 another problem has been appeared which is vibration and weird voices in the motor. They defined the disrepair as a problem in the Belt Tensioner and they changed it in September 2011. The problem continued and they ignored our many complaints about it till the guarantee period of the Belt Tensioner has been expired. In April 2014, the problem has been aggravated and the car became slow and the vibrations are increased where I suspected the gear box oil. Car has been sent to the Mercedes Maintenance at Fom El Khalig and they reported that gear box oil is not the problem and it is in good condition and they have to change Belt Tensioner again (already has been changed when the car was reading 30,800 km). Three days after receiving the car, same problem appeared again. I re-sent it again to the same Maintenance Center (Fom al Khalig) where they reported that the car needs to change the main Control Board of the Gear Box!!! You will not believe that the car is reading now 47,011 km which is very weird and strange for Mercedes Benz with their GREAT HISTORY. From the above, Im not satisfied at all with the car regarding all many disrepairs which affected my job and I consider the above as waste of time and money. When I chose to buy Mercedes I chose Name, Reputation, Strength and durability. I work as Engineering Director at and Engineering Consultancy Company for Petroleum Companies (as Business Card attached) and Im sure that Mercedes Benz, with their large reputation in Egypt and Middle East and Internationally, cannot accept these many disrepairs for a car 47,000 km. I really was going to buy the new CLA but now after all these happenings, I will not and will not recommend Mercedes for any of my acquaintances. I expect free change of this spare part and rechecking of the many frequent breakdowns of the car. Appreciating your understanding and your time. N.B. my car is in Mercedes Agency at Fom Al Khalig since Saturday 3rd of May and no answer till now.

Have been having different issues with vibration on braking, worn front tires. Ive had my Mercedes S550 since 4/14 and I brought it into service 3 weeks ago to check the vibration and pulling to right. Service Tech. informs me its supposed to pull to right some and tire looked fine, dont need new tires. I just returned for my B service and Service calls to tell me I need 2 new front tires. Only $980 for 2 tires! I am furious. Needless to say I wont be replacing with Continental MOEs because of all the bad news out there about them and I wont be purchasing from Mercedes Benz! I do have photos for reference.

I had just changed my BMW 320i 2008 model to the new c250 2012 on the 25th of March 2012 and after 20 days, the local dealer, GNA, offers free maintenance for this model for the new buyers. This made me very angry that I specially asked for this. I think I deserve to join this offer.

I own a 2007 E350 with 125,000 miles. For years I have complained about the transmission shifting. Was told car needed a conductor plate ($1500). Problem still exist. Was mailed a letter from MB USA in reference to balance shaft settlement which my car was diagnosed with that code (0272) at 61,613 miles. Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta refused to correct the problem and now that I just reached the 125,000 miles limit, they are telling me the cost is $7000 while MB USA settlement letter clearly states that the reasonable cost is $4000 minus MB USA discount from settlement. While I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta, I am willing to give them the opportunity to redeem themselves. I have called Margarite (800-624-6736 ext **) numerous times and she refuses to return my calls. If MB USA cares about its customers and its reputation, they will address this issue.

We have owned our Mercedes C230 since we bought it new in 2007. The Mercedes has outlasted our BMW 325i and our Toyota Tundra. The car still drives like new. Of course we have had regular maintenance performed regularly, just like we did on the previous mentioned vehicles. As of today, everything on the Mercedes is working properly. Unfortunately we can not say the same about the BMW or Toyota. Don’t get me wrong, the BMW and Toyota still had strong engines, it was the many little thing that went wrong. I would strongly recommend the Mercedes. We have purchased an E class Mercedes and are confident it will be as great as our still C230.

I have replaced 3 tires on my C350 in the past 2 years or so. A blow out at 100km/hr on the highway and 2 tires that have bulges on the inside of the tire that needed to be replaced. I am told by a local tire specialist Fountain tire that I need to replace both tires on the rear and having spend a small fortune I am not prepared to do that. I was advised with low profile tires and the winters in Alberta that this is something I need to get used to and keep paying for replacement every couple of years. These are continental tires and I am considering changing brand and height profile of the tire... Pretty choke with being sold a 4matic that I love to drive but finding out the tires sold are not the right ones for our climate..

I have spent more than $60k for this car 2 years ago. I have 59k miles on the car. Last 3 months, I have engine light coming on on the dashboard. Took 3 times to local Lakeland dealer. Explained 1st time that it was just the software update requirement and paid $150. 2nd time was advised that there is lack of Blutec fluid which was wrong because there was no sign on the dashboard for that. 3rd was another reason, Problem with the oxygen sensor. The estimate to change the sensor is $950.At 3rd time I found the oil leak in my garage so the tech checked out and mentioned that the oil leak is from engine and it is 13 to 14 hours job to fix because top half of the engine needs to be removed. Total cost is $2600 for this job. Total $3500 expense after paying 60k for the luxury car. I have several other cars like Chevy Venture and Lexus 470 and more than $100000 car and took to the dealer for just oil change or tire change. Ive been working with the HQ in NJ to get it covered under warranty because it is just 9000 over the limit of 50k warranty manufacturer provide. Is this a red signal to buy a luxury car and take to the dealer more often because it has more electronics?? Or is it just Mecedes c350???

My 2002 Mercedes E-320 (purchased brand new) has had many electrical problems and it only has 110,000 miles. I stopped taking it back to the dealer (RBM) a couple of years ago because their service charges were absorbent, I didnt feel they valued me as a customer, and there was always multiple additional problems that they would claim they found wrong, costing at least a couple thousand dollars each time I went in for service. A couple of years ago the cluster failed. The locks would not work, the gas tank it would not automatically shut off, the speedometer would not work, the car was sluggish, etc. The cluster was replaced. The rear right light cluster has been replaced three times. Last October 2014, while driving, the radio abruptly stopped working, the doors would not lock, and the trunk would not lock automatically; I had to manually lock and unlock the doors and trunk with the key. According to the mechanic, a couple of fuses needed to be replaced. He disconnected the wiring for the radio to work until the fuses were replaced, but the doors would not lock and the trunk could not be unlocked. He replaced the fuses and everything was fine until the week of Thanksgiving. Any time I started the car, the trunk automatically popped open and could not be reclosed. We finagled the lock closure on the open trunk with another metal object to lock the trunk while it was open. We then pushed the button to unlock the trunk and it was able to be closed and remained closed until we stopped and restarted it again. This problem persisted about three days and then abruptly stopped. A couple of weeks ago the problem started again. I took the car to the repair shop and the mechanic said he did not know what was going on. He said he reset everything and the problem went away. However, a week later (today) the problem returned. I have to keep a small pair of scissors in the car to maneuver the inside trunk latch to lock the trunk while it is open and then push in the outside trunk button to unlock it and it is then able to close. However, each time I stop at a destination and restart the car, the trunk pops open and will not reclose unless I get out, while the car is still running and go through the maneuvering routine. I called the mechanic and he said he is not sure what is going on; I would have to bring the car in again. If bad fuses caused the issues in October, could there still be a bad fuse or could it be something that he did not reconnect?

I had a 2015 smart car. When my lease was over I turned the car in and got a 2018 smart. This happened on July 2018. On Aug 15, 2018 someone used the 2015 smart car with my expired inspection sticker and got a traffic ticket, when I got the ticket in the mail I contacted the salesperson Nicole ** in the Manhattan office, sent her the ticket, my new inspection sticker, the new car registration card and all she asked for, by text. Now it is October 21 2018. And they have not done anything to correct this issue. Horrible experience, it seems they do not take responsibility for their wrongdoing.
