I have had my 2015 Evoque for 60 days now and we just picked it up from our Land Rover dealer service for a gearbox fault (I will get more into that shortly). On the way home on the highway, the car lost power in the fast lane, basically shut down and give us the same gearbox malfunction code as before. My wife and 6 year old child were in the car with me when this happen. Cars behind me had to slam on their brakes because my Evoque was slowing at a fast rate and I had no power to get out of the way. Luckily there was an opening in traffic for me to pull into the side of the road. The same thing happen last week when my wife was driving my son to the doctor and A SEMI TRUCK NARROWLY AVOIDED RUNNING INTO MY WIFE AND CHILD BECAUSE OF THE SAME ISSUE! My wife doesnt want this car, I dont want this car, I feel like my family is not safe in it anymore and I honestly dont know what path to take.I love(d) the Land Rover brand and weve owned an LR3, LR4, and a Range Rover Sport. We were excited to experience this vehicle and it has led to nothing but heartache. I believe Land Rover owes me a new, safe vehicle. Especially after being a loyal customer for the last 7 years.

I purchased a NEW 2018 Range Rover Sport in October 2018. Right out of the gate I noticed the throttle response was delayed. When I press the gas there is a 1-2 second delay before the truck moves. When you have the wheel turned its an even longer delay and then the truck bucks and goes. According to Land Rover White Plains and Land Rover Freeport its normal. Entering the highway is playing a game of chicken. I have to time the passing cars and hit the gas early to merge and pray I dont hit someone. In November 2018 (1 month of ownership) my truck wouldnt drive. The car was on and everything was running but the transmission and gears wouldnt work. The dash said HDC FAULT, STABILITY CONTROL FAULT, TRANSMISSION FAULT & GEAR SHIFTER FAULT. I towed it to LR Freeport and they didnt have any loaner cars to give me so I had to rent a car from Hertz. Dealer said I would be reimbursed for the rental. Now LR is giving me a hard time about reimbursing me for the rental when according to my warranty and contract Im due a loaner when I bring it to service at no cost to me!! Im still fighting for reimbursement! After picking up the truck they said it needed an update. Its crazy how a little update can affect so much. Now the truck is fixed but the throttle is still horrible. The 2 center screens are delayed before turning on (1-2 minutes). The maps in the infotainment odometer doesnt turn on. The rear view camera is delayed and choppy. My sunroof makes a whistling noise (according to LR thats normal). My park distance control works when it wants and when its cold out I have to run the truck for 15-20 minutes before I can drive it otherwise the transmission bucks and revs but truck doesnt move. How can you sell something for so much money and its nothing but problems and unreliable?? The internet is FULL of bad reviews and complaints for LR.THE WORST $90k Ive ever spent!!! I feel like I was robbed! I pray someone steals it so I can rid myself of this headache!! HOW DARE LR SELL THESE EXPENSIVE CARS THAT HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!! So unreliable! Get a BMW or Mercedes, save yourself the headaches! Oh and my father has a 2018 Discovery for 2 months and has had it in for service 9 times!! Looking into local lemon laws for him.

Unfortunately I was blind with the manufactory believing was an excellent, but let me tell you its all problems like a regular manufacturer. The first day before signing the paperwork at dealership, walking around the car I notice left led light was off. Guess what, A FUSE they said... hmm brand new car and fuse blow out... ok... 3 weeks after now my remote keyless wont work... Guess what is common on these HIGH END VEHICLES that the computer or keys go flat. I thought buying $57.000 car was a worry-free, no headaches, like regular manufacturers. Oh, and dont expect 5-star customer service when you have problems, they are like a regular Ford, Chevy, dealership same level.

I purchased a 2015 Land Rover LR4 HSE LUX in December 2014. A couple weeks later I started hearing an intermittent high-pitched sound from the dash. I have not been able to pinpoint what causes the noise. It doesnt matter whether or not I have the heat or AC on. I have had the car back to the dealership several times, for weeks at a time. They have admitted there is a problem, but they have not identified a fix. They have told me 3 other customers at my local dealership have the same complaint, but they have no answers. I have been in touch with both Land Rover North America Headquarters and the BBB. I have tried to evoke the SC Lemon Law. I have been told the noise does not qualify because it is not a safety issue. So here I am with a very expensive car that makes an obnoxious high-pitched noise and I can do nothing about it. I have never been more frustrated!

When I first received my 2018 Range Rover HSE it was a great car for the first month but its been a year and now I absolutely hate it, here are some reasons why. The infotainment system is the worst that I have ever worked with. The screens in the car will all go black in the middle of driving, even on the highway. It is impossible to connect a brand new iPhone X to the BRAND NEW Range Rover, I have tried relentlessly to connect my phone to the car through Bluetooth. The Bluetooth in the car is always failing. The glitching and lag from the infotainment screens make you want to take a baseball bat to the screen. If you have made it this far in my review now Id like to tell you that my family have had 6 previous Land Rover vehicles and I have a heart felt love for the brand. But, if Range Rover wont fix their infotainment problem, I will never buy another one and suggest that no one should either. Finally you may be thinking to yourself,Did you do anything to resolve the issues? Yes, I have gone to my local Range Rover dealership more than 2 times and they have given my car updates. These updates HAVE NOT WORKED. I still face all the same issues I had faced about 11 moths ago. My favorite part in this experience is the lack of reality that my local Range Rover dealership has. They have told me repeatedly that if I experience any problems with my car them I should, pull over and shut off the car for 5 to 10 minutes. So I guess every time there is malfunction with the infotainment system (which is about every day) then while driving to what ever destination I am traveling to that day, I should just pull over and take, 5 to 10 minutes, to restart my car. Im gonna leave this review by saying I used to love Land Rover but my car sucks and so does the Land Rover for the way they have dealt with this issue.

The car has 50,000 miles on it and I have had to replace the power steering shaft at a cost of $1,600. The horn button broke off and they do not sell just the button, they make you replace the entire horn. Most recently, my check engine light is reporting miss fires and they are recommending replacing all wires and spark plugs at a cost of $1,100. All of this within a 3 month period - awesome. I will never buy a Land Rover product ever again, and I am currently trying to sell mine. Dont put yourself through this. Oh, and in the same breath, the lovely assistant told me that my head gaskets are leaking coolant and oil which will be very costly. Great.

Purchased a 2013 RR Evoque on 4/12/2016. Absolutely loved my vehicle. The fuel pump went out weeks after purchased. Still under warranty, fixed, no problems. Took care of my car. Had it serviced before even needed. Purchased extended warranty (5000.00). I kept calling the in control ownership and could not get it registered. It was locked on topix. At the dealership they told me nobody does that anymore. Which made no sense. Coz it tells you too. Well thats when things got weird. I brought my car in for an insurance estimate on the meridian system on 12/03/2018. They called and told me I needed a new starter and rear axle and differential. I never had a problem with either.9 weeks later Im told its ready for 13,000 dollars. They did not turn it in to warranty. Told me I have to. So he walks me out to a parking lot to my car (weird Coz they have valet at a luxury dealership). I get in the vehicle and its not mine. This was some salvaged vehicle obviously a flood vehicle. Steve ** walks out to me with a car fax report (how did he know who I was or what I was going to say). I said, where is my vehicle? He said, this is your vehicle. And told me, what you going to do about it? The police say its a civil matter but theres no contract. If that was me I would be in jail for motor vehicle theft. I have been on a year long pursuit to find my vehicle. He has wiped all my service records and the 5000.00 warranty doesnt exist. Motor vehicle has 15 entitle changes with 4 vehicle Ids. I went to level 123 inspections to find out its under investigations. Attorney General never even looked at the paper of evidence and took 6 months for a response from the dealer that altered all entitles. No response from corporate. I recently discovered that car was from copart salvage auction. Steve ** was pulled over for taking flood damaged cars. So beware of and Land Rover vehicle. And do not consider car fax. They have changed the vehicles origin, service and mileage 3 times. In the meantime I continue my search for my vehicle so this Corp. can be sold for their business tactics. The vehicle was for sale in California at fast track auto while I was the owner. Its called cloning.

In all the vehicles I have purchased both personally and professionally I can only report exceptionally delightful experiences with both the dealership and the sales rep - until I purchased a Range Rover from Hennessy Jaguar Land Rover Gwinnett. My previous experience in purchasing vehicles was, in fact, so delightful that when I have purchased my company vehicles at one dealership I have typically used for this purpose that I have sent the dealership staff and sales reps gifts after closing and written glowing reviews and completed surveys indicating satisfaction above and beyond the norm. This is my first negative experience with a dealership and it’s been one I don’t care to remember, but would rather forget. From the assistant manager Mr. David ** developing convenient memory loss as to his promises made as part of the transaction later, after the purchase, to the questionable ethics and practices of Mr. Ricky ** in the finance department. Having previously heard woeful tales from others about their experiences with car dealerships, I could never relate. It has now become my unfortunate reality. After experiencing multiple issues with the vehicle purchased at the dealership less than a month into ownership and only having possession of the vehicle for 18 days of that month long period of time due to the time the dealership had it for the initial repairs it became clear this Range Rover is a lemon. It broke down not but a few miles from the dealership on the date of purchase. The battery light came on even though the dealership said the issue was a fuel sensor which was repaired. They told me that the repair addressed the issue and it wouldnt occur again. Did I mention it died in the middle of Interstate 85? Slight safety issue if you ask me, but neither the dealership nor Land Rover seemed terribly concerned. I mean, I could have been hit by a driver doing 80 mph on the interstate, but perhaps the Range Rover makes for a better coffin than mode of transportation. Then the driver from the dealership that was driving my company car damaged the tires and front bumper on his way back to my home driving the vehicle. Then the check engine light began coming on and going off seemingly randomly. Not yet having a permanent tag for the vehicle while experiencing multiple issues in less than a month clearly points to this being a problem vehicle.Through all of this unfortunate experience I did my best to be patient and understanding. Yet it became clear that approach doesn’t work with this dealership or manufacturer. The dealership will lie to you, make promises they wont keep, mislead you and then claim they never made any commitment of the sort. Please save yourself, do not consider purchasing a Land Rover vehicle.I now have possession, only part time since its in the shop half the time, of a very beautiful and expensive piece of junk that sits in my garage when I do have part time custody because Im too afraid to be left stranded the next time it dies while Im driving it. I mean Land Rover does have Roadside Assistance, but thats right, theyre only open and available during business hours Monday-Friday so if I am left stranded, Im on my own. Lets hope I have a signal on my mobile device so I can make contact with someone who cares - apparently thats not Land Rover. DO NOT buy a Land Rover product... That is unless you want to add stress and frustration to your life and a hunk of junk in your garage.

We went to Land Rover in Albuquerque, NM with the intent of purchasing a vehicle. Upon meeting the sales representative we immediately told him the things that the vehicle must have. The very first thing we said was, The vehicle must have Sirius XM radio as we live in a small town without radio options. We were excited to purchase our brand new 2017 Discovery Sport HSE. After signing papers and getting on the road we were unable to figure out how to access the Sirius XM radio. After getting home and reading the manual we still were unable to access Sirius XM. I have never purchased a vehicle and NOT had the sales representative call the next day to be sure everything is well with the vehicle, Land Rover, to say thank you, to check on our purchase... nothing. After not receiving a call I finally called them to ask about the radio. The sales rep says he needs to look up that information and upon returning says no our vehicle does not have Sirius XM. Later I called and spoke to the someone in the financial office to ask a question about gap insurance, and he eventually asked how everything was. I expressed my disappointment in the vehicle not having the one thing that we said the vehicle must have. He said it was likely not added to keep the cost down. I explained that we chose the HSE for its extras and that we purchased a $55,000 car not looking to save a buck on the radio. He said he would get back to me. He later called back to say that Sirius XM is an option on the vehicle purchased for about $800- $900 more. I would have gladly paid this! I was scheduled to go back to the dealership a few days later to have the car washed because on the day we bought it there was no one available to wash it. On the day I returned to have it washed the sales representative asked for the extra set of keys to the car I traded in, took a copy of the insurance card on the vehicle I purchased, and asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I was shocked. He didnt intend to have the car washed at all. I told him I talked to the finance guy who said Sirius XM was an option for $800-$900 and I said I would like to purchase it. The sales guy told me it was no longer an option once the car had been purchased. He did say he would look into it some more and get back to me, which of course never happened. I am so disappointed in the customer service of this company. I have had much better customer service buying much less expensive vehicles. I would have definitely went to BMW or Lexus if would have known Land Rover had such poor customer service.

It is a very unique vehicle. Runs smooth and has great electronics inside as well. Very keen to high speed and great performance. It has blue and black covering on it, has rugged tires, dim lights and great gauges. It has very sturdy, safety tested body as well. It has a great design of smooth texture interior, and has silk on the roof top and dim windows. I added hydraulics and blue lights to make it look cool and added cherry color to the top of the hood to give it my own unique design. It holds up to 6 people comfortable with ample leg room and great arm stretch, and it has a place to put ear plugs so passengers can listen to music. I would tell my friends and family about this vehicle because it gives off a great look and nice ride.

Many reviews on this site of problems with the infotainment system. This is a known problem with Range Rover and Velar. I have had very weak digital radio signal in my 2017 Evoque, considerable interference on FM radio, phone drops, and forget about getting reliable service between the phone/USB/Bluetooth and playing music. Press a song in the playlist and another appears! Crackling speakers during robust music and album artwork all mixed up between artists. Frozen screeching screen! All fine on the phone when connecting to other cars! There is a disconnect between the touchscreen and the IMC (the computer under your seat). All software updates have failed to fix the problem. The fact that they are endangering me and fiancée’s life by letting me drives a car that is seriously defective. Causes me to question the intentions of the companies risk management practices and their exposure in the event of an accident. I have made several telephone complaints throughout the years and have taken the vehicle in for various repairs but more importantly it is the engine/turbocharger issue that endangers my fiancée’s life when the vehicle is not operating properly. It will not accelerate and I will have to turn off the engine and restart the car. This is very unsafe and has been in the shop for over 44 days over a 24 months period. This was a brand new Range Rover Evoque -2013.As stated in the Motor Vehicle Warranty and Lemon Law we notified Land Rover of our intentions to have them buy back the car. Case Number #**. We began the request for a repurchase from Land Rover for the purchase or buyback for our 2013 Range Rover Evoque under the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. They feel that they be didn’t have enough attempts that make the value of safety of car worthy of this act. They did offer a goodwill gesture of $1500 however by offering the money; they are acknowledging that there are numerous issues with this 2013 Range Rover Evoque. After being in the shop numerous times for Turbo Charger/Engine issues, we again took it in for service again in February 12, 2015, we didnt get it back until February 20th, 2015 and it will still need to go back to the shop. Mile 29924 (7 Days). The check engine light is on again, and it’s lacking power, and is red lining at 6000 RPM before it shifts gears. Joe went on test drive with the technician and the service writer to show them what he means. The technicians stated to Joe with the service writer in the car that something wasnt right with the turbocharger and that the engine was working too hard which is why it was causing it to shift at such a high RPM, however the Land Rover agent, is trying to say it’s something else. In reviewing the most recent paperwork, I don’t see why it would take 7 days to fix a bulb, which is how the latest service repair reads, nothing about Joe going on the test drive, and showing the red lining of the RPMs before it shift. They stated in the service contract that it was the thermostat regulator is not performing, they needed to do an update. There is no documentation that was witnessed by the Service Writer and the Technician that Joe went on the test drive and showed them it was red lining in the report or the notes. Which leads me to questions how truthful and forthcoming they have been with writing all the other service reports in Land Rovers favor. In Summation - THE LEMON LAW AND WHAT IS A REASONABLE NUMBER OF REPAIR ATTEMPTSAccording The Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (beginning with Civil Code section 1790) we qualify for the lemon law and protection for a newly leased vehicle, when a dealer is unable to meet the terms express written warranty after a reasonable number of repair attempts, the manufacture is required to promptly replace the vehicle or return the purchase price of the lessee or buyer.SECTION (B-1) This is an UNSAFE vehicle and in the event I cannot accelerate through traffic or end up in an accident because of the poor quality of the engine and number of attempts to replace the turbo engine/charger is now going on its third repair. And it is currently back in for service repair again (February 12, 2015 5 days and counting) with the check engine light on. According to the mechanic that did a ride along with Joe **, it’s back in the shop because the engines is working overtime, and redline shifts at 6000 RPM, again making it unsafe to drive. The dealership since then knowingly put me back into a car that had numerous Turbocharger and engine problems and therefore doesn’t consider my life and safety to be a concern for them with this many engine attempts to fix a bad Engine/Turbocharger issue. If I get into an accident because of the lack of power/engine/turbocharger, and get T-boned by on-coming traffic and end up in the hospital, only then they would consider purchasing back the car? Or by then I could be dead, so then I guess they would win because they wouldnt have to buy back the car and just have a lawsuit on their hands for wrongful death.SECTION (B -2) within the first 18,000 miles or 18 months these problems are still happening and the same problem like engine/turbocharger issues where I cannot accelerate to move out of oncoming traffic can cause death or serious bodily injury, and has been subject to repair two or more times by the manufacturer! Are they waiting for me to get in a horrible accident and then I would qualify for the LIFE THREATENING incident?SECTION (B-3) The vehicle is out of service because of the number of repairs and problems this 2013 Range Rover Evoque is having and although the manufacturer has made a number of attempts, the car is still very problematic. This vehicle has a cumulative total of more than 30 days since the delivery of the vehicle; it is actually now going on 44 days and counting. Despite repeated attempts at repair by Land Rover Service, the 2013 Range Rover Evoque still remains defective and therefore there has been a failure and refusal to conform the product to its express warranty under the law.In closing, and just a personal question to whoever is reading this…in looking over the services records, would you let your 16 year old son or daughter drive this vehicle? Would you be comfortable buying this car from me knowing the service/repair history I have attached. Can you honestly say you would feel comfortable driving this car yourself?

The Range Rover Sport is by far the most unreliable vehicle I have ever owned. What a disappointment for a luxury SUV. The car always has issues, stays in the shop and is constantly in need of some type of service. The smallest things will require you to go to the dealer to be addressed. When any warning light comes on, prepare yourself for a trip to the dealer with your credit card ready. And this is way too often. For example, Ive had my tire pressure light come on, which is an appreciated notification, but after filling the tires with air the warning light wouldnt go off. Who needs a trip to the dealer for putting air in the tires? No thank you! Its an awesome looking vehicle but the maintenance is a part-time job and expensive. This car is like dating a young supermodel. Its great when its new and quite beautiful to look at, but it needs a lot of work under the hood and it is gonna cost you! You will get to know your repairman quite well if you purchase this vehicle. A truly disappointing experience.

I am a student in the United States. I wanted to purchase a car from the local retailer in Richmond, Virginia. They refused to sell me a car just because I am a student but I felt it was a race discrimination. They kept asking me from where I am getting my money. I wanted to purchase a car for my own use while I am here in the United States for the duration I am studying. They started asking me personal question like from where will you get your money. For the past three months I have not gotten an answer from them. I went to visit the dealership again but they asked me to provide a 6 months bank statement. I am not sure why would they want one since I am not financing the car (I cant get a finance since I am an international student). They have been giving me a really hard time. There is no law within the United States that would prohibit me from purchasing a car. I currently own a jeep and would really like to add a Range Rover in the family. I hope I can hear from you soon and help me out with this situation.

Bought a new 2012 Evoque in August if 2013. Early on had a bunch of minor issues (pillar molding making noise at speed, headlight issues, etc.), but loved the car beyond all that (Colima Lime, just the color alone made me smile). About 2 months ago, at 82,000 miles, the engine cut out and could not get it restarted. Thought it was a battery issue and had it towed to a mechanic friend of mine. Within an hour he told me that it was a failed timing chain and that a new engine would be needed. I contacted Land Rover to see if they would cover this even though we were out of warranty. I was instructed to take the car to the closest dealership for inspection before they would even consider the case. It took 5 weeks for them to diagnose the problem as a broken timing chain, but still could not tell me the cause. I provided LR with all the maintenance records. Another 2 weeks went by and they declined to help. When I asked why, I was told that I did not maintain brand loyalty by getting oil changes elsewhere. That has got to be the lamest excuse I have ever heard. It was never a money issue because I always used the highest quality synthetic oils and did oil changes about every 10K miles vs. the recommended 15K. The nearest dealership is an hour away and it’s not always practical to go there. Besides, I have had many vehicles with 100K+ miles on them and did oil changes at the most convenient place, rather than the dealership...never a problem. I am now stuck with having to pay almost $16K for a new engine and the gentleman who declined financial assistance is not willing to even speak with me to give me a better explanation than oil changes not at LR. From reading all these reviews, there does seem to be an issue with the Evoque engine, as they tend to fail right about the mileage mine failed. And from what I read, some of these people even serviced the car exclusively at LR, so it’s not the aftermarket oil & filter BS. Its not even the money that gets me upset, it’s the complete lack of customer service. I mean, it’s $16K...thats the cost of a new car. Couldnt someone take a few minutes to call and explain why they arent willing to help. I am not giving up...gonna try to reach as high as I can, maybe even the company president, or just go screaming to the media...who knows. If anyone has had luck getting to some higher-up, please contact me. Perhaps as one of the posters said, might be time for a class action lawsuit. The bottom line is that they lost a customer. We were about to buy a Range Rover Sport, but thats not happening now. I should have known better to start with. Land Rovers have always had a reputation for being a beautiful car which was extremely poorly built.

Purchased a fully loaded 2018 RR Sport on Friday and drove home without issue. The next morning the climate and info system begin shutting down and restarting every 30 seconds. Had the car taken to the dealer Sunday and luckily got ahold of the bank to stop any money from making it to the dealer. Just told them to keep the car. I’m not paying around $100k for a vehicle that needs a repair within 13 hours of driving off the lot. Car had 80 miles on it when I bought it. The fact Land Rover can’t seem to produce a fully functional vehicle amazes me. They essentially make a gorgeous expensive car that looks great on the back of a flatbed truck. Wish a company would buy Land Rover that would then focus more on quality. I was in love with the car but couldn’t be more disappointed with the result. Luckily the dealer was reasonable and let me walk understanding how frustrating this was for me.

Bought a 2013 Range Rover Evoque from the dealer in August 2014 with 10,000 miles on it. Problems: Nav Screen wouldnt come on and flicker at will... (The dealer had to change the screen). AC wouldnt work. (Dealer had to work on it twice). Car stops in the middle of the road, poor battery... How can It stop in the middle? (dealer changed the battery). Engine Check Light: Oxygen sensor was gone. (Dealer said they replaced it). Engine Check Light came on again... 34,000 miles on it now.

My Range Rover sport 2013 was the best until I had to do maintenance and there is when the nightmare starts. A car with only 40.000 miles on. The car is now 60.000 miles and the coolant problem still not solved. After spent so much money to get scammed by these people I still need to put coolant at least once a week, ignore the coolant light on because it can never be fixed. These cars are popular for having coolant leaking problems but doesn’t matter how much they charge and you are willing to pay you will only get scammed. They will not fix your car or admit that they are basically taking your money for the same thing over and over again. Took my car to 5 times to get this problem solved, spent thousands of dollars for absolutely nothing. Just stress. And they have the audacity to call you next day to say: Are you happy with our services? Oh no, I’m sorry for all the trouble we may cause to you. Maybe we can fix this issue with a new car!!! No. Thanks! Every time I took my car to get “fixed” they loan me a newer model and all drive like cheap cars. I should listened to friends who deal with the same problems with their brand new Land Rovers and should never ignore all the bad reviews they have. Now I’m absolutely ready to sell it and get far far away from any type of Land Rover or Jaguar brand cars. I absolutely don’t recommend Land Rover cars. Horrible experience!

Many different types that will suit everyones needs. Very versatile. Customizable which is great perfect fits for everyone. I love how it looks like a nice classic car, without being too overly ostentatious. Suitable for everyday life. You can basically build your own car which I find the most satisfying. I find that this is the most comfortable car I have gotten since its built just for me. This vehicle is very spacious, but not overly big. Holds all my family very well and we even have space left to spare. The trunk is of a decent size as well which I love. Best car I have ever owned.

I have leased a Land Rover Evoque 2015 (new) - it has 92000 km and my lease is up Jan 2019. On July 14 the engine just stopped - I had it towed to a local mechanic. I wanted to make sure it was not just a battery issue (quick review) - I was told that the engine had experienced a catastrophic failure and caused the top of the engine block to blow off. I then had it towed to Metro West - where they just sat on the car for over two weeks- Always telling me that they are working on it with Land Rover. On July 27 I went into the dealer and demanded answers. The Service manager gave me a toll free number to Land Rover. I made the call and they had no record of my vehicle issue. It then takes Land Rover until Aug 03 - to tell me that if I went through them they would put in up to 3500.00 on repairs. They only want to replace with new engine (cost 18,000.00). Still they have not investigated why this happened. All service was performed, with the proper oil - there was no tell tail signs that there was an issue, the engine had the proper amount of oil. I have all records and photos of engine, plus a letter with a licensed mechanic opinion. On Aug 07 - I have towed my car from Metro West and brought it to my regular mechanic OK Hi Standard Tire. Through all this I have rented my own car - which I need to get myself prepared for a kidney transplant and work. I have asked Hi Standard tire to take all photos and see if we can determine what failed internally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We bought our 2008 LR2 in early 2007. We have had nothing but headaches with this vehicle since day one. The first day driving, the sunroof seal peeled off and the screen became detached. Then the problems got worse to the point we thought the electrical system was defective. This vehicle has been in the auto dealership repair shop more than my wife and I have seen our doctors. It was so bad that Land Rover had to send an engineer out to look at the vehicle to get an idea what was causing all the problems and it seemed fixed. Lo and behold, the warranty expires and guess what? We start having more problems and costly ones at that. We literally lost our savings account for repairs on our LR2. The most recent repair over $1,200.00 for a cooling fan. It gets better.Prior to this repair our windscreen was damaged by something that struck the windscreen. Safe lite comes out and the tech. is not concerned about the crack as much as he is about the delaminated windscreen. He asked if we had been in accident and if we were the original owners. The vehicle was never in an accident and we are the original owners. The vehicles has only ever been serviced at LR dealership in Ventura, CA. and nowhere else. Apparently, the windscreen was replaced because it was damaged but it was incorrectly replaced and it allowed moisture to enter the instrument panel and thus our electronic headaches I can only presume. Weve had the fuel pump go out, oil pump go out, among a host of numerous other headaches that added up to the several thousands of dollars we lost on repairing this piece of junk.Land Rover asked for the receipt of our most recent repair and the response was laughable. I posted my response on Google Plus. Basically we were told that Land Rover offered a goodwill gesture for reimbursing our windscreen which they fraudulently sold us in a bad and very unsafe condition. I had to laugh, we paid several thousands of dollars in repairs and Land Rover is not in a financial position to assist for one repair. LOL. That is pathetic!

Im extremely disappointed of owning a Range Rover. I have been having the same issues since 10/2016 and Land Rover doesnt want to do anything to help me. This vehicle is faulty and Im very concern with my life. The car turns off in the middle of the highway multiple times. Your customer service over the phone is the worst! They dont care of my issues. They dont empathize with my concerns. Nicole ** is the WORST agent that you have working for your company. She has been very nasty to me. I regretted buying this vehicle. It is not WORTHY paying so much money for a vehicle that cant even function properly. The dealership in Orlando FL, and Gwinnett GA have basically wiped their hands with my car issues, and they cant do anything for me. The Gwinnett dealership says that because I didnt buy my vehicle there, they cant help me with re-purchasing it back. The last time my vehicle was in for service, it lasted two weeks. The day I picked up, it gave me the same problems. The service manager took my car to his house and drove over 80 miles, and didnt even put gas on my car. They gave me the car empty. The loaner vehicle they give you are not even good. They have the same faulty electrical issues. It is very inconvenience to drive a high end vehicle to drive a plain vehicle for two weeks. My service experience with Land Rover is the WORST! You guys dont CARE of your customers. When I try calling your customer support they dont want to allow you to speak with a supervisor. It is ridiculous how you spend so much money for a vehicle, and you get a much better service at a lower brand dealership. I have owned so many brands and I have never experienced anything like I have with Land Rover. This could be a very expensive vehicle brand, but your quality sucks. You do not support your customers. You dont care of maintaining people happy. Im going to go to social media, news, google reviews, and everywhere I can go to express my concerns with my life being in danger because Im driving a faulty vehicle. Im paying so much money for something I cant even drive. Last month in December, I only had the car less than two weeks, when I had to make my entire monthly payment. I wrote to the president of the company and I havent gotten a response. My car has died on the highway. Right now Im more concern with my life than anything else.

In January 2012, we experienced a blow out on front driver side of our 2008 Black Range Rover, which tore up the wiring harness that was above the wheel well. Land Rover was unable to secure parts to fix the vehicle, namely the wiring harness, for seven months. During the seven months they had the vehicle, they had told us they would take care our financial costs to rent a vehicle during this time due to them not being able to loan us a car from the dealership. They have now refused to help with any of the $3,944 worth of expenses we incurred from renting another vehicle to drive during that seven months. They have been terrible to deal with and are liars. After dozens of emails and phone calls to them during these seven months confirming that they would reimburse the charges after the vehicle was fixed, they have basically now said they cant do anything for us. I will never ever purchase another Land Rover. Our insurance paid out over $18,000 to them to repair the vehicle and they still treat their customers unfairly. We couldnt be any more disappointed in this establishment - not only disappointment in their ability to secure parts in a timely fashion but also in their unfair treatment of customers. This is the first review I have ever written so you know the magnitude of our disappointment.

I now have 34,000 miles and have extreme shaking upon applying brakes. The Land Rover Range Rover Sport is heavy and so it makes it easier. lts safe and sturdy and therefore easier to drive. The dash, lights and buttons are informative and driving is safer for me. I like the solid feel of the vehicle. It makes me feel safer in traffic. I like the height I can drive at and it sets down five inches when we stop so I can get in and out easier. However, the interaction of the signal in the tires is inconsistent and worries me sometimes. Also the GPS system is too expensive to update so it is 8 years old and not reliable.

Make no mistake, I have been a long time Land Rover fan (Im in the UK). I have had many Defenders, Range Rovers and a Disco 3. I have driven to Africa 5 times in a Defender including through the Central Sahara Desert to Niger and have another rebuilt Defender 300Tdi 110 now ready to go again. I have just sold the Disco 3 after a few problems cropped up - it was getting old anyway. We went to a local dealer, Harwoods in Lewes, East Sussex to look at an Evoque or Discovery commercial or anything else that looked suitable for a family vehicle and seeing clients. Well, yes theres a virus going round but we were told we could not enter the showroom and to go and have a look round the car park. Well the car park was full of various vehicles, maybe customers in for service or staff, who knows? By the way it was raining too. We shuffled a bit and left, rather unamused to put it mildly. If this is the best that LR can do when customers are potentially about to spend £100k GBP or more and become loyal to a brand, then they need to go back to business school. Land Rover has a criminally bad reputation for reliability and appalling customer service. Its not difficult to see why. We went to a Porsche dealer who was open, welcoming and thoroughly excellent. The older Rovers were simple and robust. Parts were good and reliable, not expensive. The newer generation ones are grossly over complicated with dodgy electronics, poor quality components (they have gone downhill for the last few years due to cost cutting as the vehicles were no longer required to be robust due to mainly be used on road, not off road). Throw in corporate complacency, inadequately trained technicians who swap assemblies (huge bills ...) rather than fault find and you have a nightmare of epic proportions. My advice is to buy another brand thats reliable and from a source where you can get personal service when buying and for servicing and not be lost in the system. In the Uk theres lot of experience of Land rovers, more than the US - you have been warned.

Numerous problems with turbo not engaging. Several trips to dealership for computer resets etc. ** from the sales/service folks. Still left hanging in traffic with accelerator pressed, no response, then kick in and thrown back in seat. Most dangerous vehicle ever. Horns continuously blowing because I wont go at stop lights. Random overhead lights come on for no reason. If your brakes get close to 50% worn, you must replace the rotors! So Im about $1k into brakes at 34000 miles. Pretty is all its got going for it. I leased a new 2017 Range Rover sport dynamic. I absolutely love the vehicle!! I have owned many many cars, I have a lot to compare to. Expensive sports cars, luxury vehicles blah blah... I love this vehicle!! However, I will never lease or buy another one again. Unfortunately, I was in a collision not my fault but that doesn’t really matter. What matters is - It took 6 months for the dealer to repair my vehicle because Land Rover did not have the parts available. Can I remind everyone it’s a 2017 fairly new car. The parts should be readily available!! 6 months no vehicle is a long time. It was suggested to me to contact Land Rover directly with regard to the needed parts. I contacted them. They took all the info and passed it on to a claim agent.I was contacted for additional info and they let me know my parts are on back order. Weeks and weeks later I find out one of the parts - a wiring harness doesn’t exist and the factory has to make one!! That took 2 months. In the meantime calls not returned - no response to emails and when I received a response it was patronizing and totally unhelpful. Never in a million years would I have thought a company like Land Rover would not have parts available for their newer model vehicles. I’m extremely disappointed in the way they handled the situation. Reputable companies are all about customer service and customer satisfaction. They failed big time!

I left the car running on my street with the door open while I got out to put my dog away. When I came walking back from behind the house the Evoque was going up the street on its own. If kids would have been in the street like normal they would have been run over. The SUV door hit my brick mailbox and stopped the car. When I got in the SUV the gear shift control was still in the Park position.I called Range Rover and they responded with a tow truck and took the SUV to the dealership. The dealership had it for a couple weeks with very little communication with us. Then one day called and said they could not replicate the problem and said we are pushing your Evoque outside so you need to make arrangements to have it picked-up and file an insurance claim. They said, you must have left it in reverse and gotten out of the car. As you can imagine I was not happy.Next came the repair. The auto body shop called me a few days later telling me that LR/RR said the repair parts were not in the US and it could take from 3 months to one year to get parts. I have been fighting every day with LR corp and still have no ETA for any of it. Seems crazy but I would never by a LR/RR again. Customer service is so bad and my wife will never want to drive a car that can drop in a gear by itself. She has told me to sell the car when we get it back. Wed call the same service center and he tells he doesnt have time and I will have to wait 7 days for them to see the issue. (This is the place we got the car and they did the update.) We called another service center, they were ready to see the car. So now we are responsible to get the car at the service station. Called roadside assistance and they were not able to find a towing company. Spoke with them several times. No use. 3 days I am sitting home with car standing on the side of the road outside my house. No assistance, no spare car offered. Just scared what if I was stuck at on a highway or middle of nowhere. Highly disappointed. Rethinking my decision to buy Land Rover. My phone pairs, but the call loses audio frequently and is unusable. The dealer has been very good, but this is a major design flaw and cannot be fixed. I have begun the buy-back process and so far the dealership and Land Rover USA seem to be willing to accommodate my demands -- namely I want out of the vehicle without it costing me a single cent -- purchase prices, delivery, taxes, interest paid, extended warranty, etc. We shall see when all of a sudden the just under $80K sticker amounts to a refund closer to $90K. First and definitely the LAST Land Rover/Jaguar product I would ever consider. Unfortunately because aside from that Mrs. ** I love the vehicle style, ride and comfort.

Have a Range Rover Sport- bought in August 2014. The car is 6 months old. The car door handle has fallen off. Range rover claims it is not a warranty problem. Poor customer service. A high end vehicle like Range Rover should stand behind their product. A car that is 6 months old should not be missing a handle!!! Nor should I have to pay out of pocket to get the handle replaced as it should never have fallen off in the first place. Dealership told us they have had numerous cars come in with this issue. A defect in the car??? Maybe Range Rover should stand behind their product and not tell customers that its a wear n tear problem. Not when the car is NEW.

Its my second Land Rover since 2006 from LR Encino. The first experience was not bad. This time around its just unbelievable disappointing. My LR4 is handsome, black on black with a nice trim, wheels, etc. I have only had it for 2 years and whenever I take it into the dealership for diagnostic testing and service-they always have a list of issues with the truck, quoting thousands of dollars. For an expensive auto brand at 2 y.o. it is equivalent to an older car that needs a lot of repairs. It completely died recently. Why am I paying premium again just so I can shell out more money unnecessarily? I was sold a pre-paid service package at signing which is a waste of money! The dealer wants me to upgrade the nav system out of pocket, but its a lease! Maintenance is not included in the package, btw. Just not what I expect from Land Rover. Please make quality automobiles like you used to! STOP upselling and cross-selling nonsense!

In 2015 I was one of first 20 people to order the Discovery Sport. I was so super happy on getting this SUV, until 1 year later the problems began. Problems I had: Front door creaking sound, exterior strips and trims came loose, crack in passenger side rear quarter window, trunk not closing evenly, AC foul smell and replaced water pump, radio/clock issues, front passenger door not opening and alarm turned on for no reason, break sounds, drivers seat back panel coming detached, and last and worst problem was the transmission failure. That did it for me! In 2 years time the car stayed in the shop for 45 days. I opened up a claim through the manufacturer and the best they could come up with was, We will compensate two months of payments and did not approve a buyback. That is not good enough. I no longer feel comfortable in driving a lemon and wont buy another car through Land Rover.

Purchased 2016 Evoque brand new. Check Engine light came on at 397 miles on the car. Took in for service, dealer fixed it and car was with dealer for 2 days. Drove under 100 miles, Check Engine light on Again. Back to dealer for repair. Dealer kept it again for few days and fixed issue. Drove 200 miles again and check engine light on again. This time dealer kept the car for 2 weeks. After lots of phone calls to manufacture and dealer they agreed to replace my vehicle for another Evoque. Happy customer again... But guess what. Drove replacement car for about a month with under 900 miles check engine light ON. Very unhappy with truck so far and Would Not Recommend it to anyone Buy IT. I just purchased a 2018 Range Rover HSE TD6 Diesel Black Package, very expensive, took five months to get after order. To date about six weeks of owning car (4,000 miles), the unit is experiencing major electrical, computer malfunctions such as backup camera, not working, computer (dash), not working or black, lumbar supports and massage seats not working, USB ports not working or charging, phone once paired not working, had to delete and re-pair. The problem is the dealer really doesnt know what or how to diagnose or fix the problem. Thank God I had stopped back by the dealership for a tech question and the technician witnessed some of the problems, too expensive of a car to have this many problems, might be time for a Lemon Law attorney.

Electric windows, air conditioning, gas efficient usage, backup camera, everything. It can seat 5 passengers and has enough room in the back for everything. All passengers are comfortable in it and theres plenty of room. I really like the look. It is black and the interior is tan. It has tinted windows and the chrome package. I bought a 1999 HSE from a guy in NW Houston. He was only too happy to unload this ** on me for $3300. It drives great, it blows cold AC, but since Ive had it, Ive spent nearly twice what I paid for it. First, the key fob broke. It cost $700+ for them to send me this ancient looking control two weeks later. The sun roof track broke. They told me it would cost $2800 to replace the parts. Later, it was $2900 for brakes and shocks, and then, the last straw was $3000 for the catalytic converter. The back story: On one of my wallet siphoning trips to RR North Houston, I had a head lamp reflector lamp come off and a fuel issue that caused my check engine light to come on. I paid $1300 for that, but the week later, the reflector came off and the check engine light came back on. They told me the code was new on the check engine soon, and to bring the truck in so they can see if I had done something to the light which is really only a snap in.Wait, what?! They told me that I had to pay almost $300 for a whole light assembly, but what they really did was snapped in a reflector? Range Rover has a monopoly in the city because not many people can repair them. They treat you any kind of way because they know people almost have to rely on them for service. That really sucks. When I left today to get my reflector looked at, one guy told me it would be in on Monday, June 25. Then I got another call that said it would be in in a few weeks. Im going to do my best to trade this vehicle in and for as long as I live, I never ever want to have dealings with the lying, cheating, stealing Range Rover or their product again.

I purchased a 2006 Range Rover HSE with 18,000 miles. I owned the vehicle for one year and that is when my financial nightmare started. The first incident that occurred was with the front differential, which needed to be replaced at 30,000 miles. Three months later, the air suspension needed to be replaced as well. I am lost for words as to why is it that this is a so-called top of the line luxury vehicle. I was suckered into buying this basically junk and ** expensive vehicle, which is costing me and a lot of others nothing but financial burden and headaches. I cannot wait to unload this junk by any means. I will never purchase a Land Rover ever again!

I was always told that these are good vehicles. Just very costly to fix. I went ahead and purchased the Rover anyway, and took a chance. It ran good for 5 months, engine light came on, had it looked at and it would come on randomly. Never could get it repaired correctly. I then was driving in a mountain area here in Colorado, when I heard a heavy thumping from underneath the Rover. Got out in the snow and ice and realized my front drive shaft broke at the u-joint which are machined on by a press. When it was flopping around it hit the transmission housing and cracked the pumpkin. So when the front drive shaft went, it also took out the transmission. IM now driving a Volkswagen jetta that I couldnt be happier with while the Land Rover is sitting out back collecting weeds and dirt wondering if I should even fix the damn thing. IM very disappointed with the Land Rover title.

Weve always had a Range Rover in the family and change them every two or three years. This one is a 3 litre diesel HSE with a few extras like air conditioned seats, a fridge in the console, self close doors and of course a tow bar which on this new model is electrically retractable. As all the others weve had no problems other than caused by a moronic parking scam in Spain damaging the electronic brake trying to drag the vehicle away. Land Rover were brilliant, arranged for it to be taken into dealer and repaired under warranty even though it wasnt their fault and we had a free hire car for the 4 days it was in the dealer.

Last year, when I decided to buy a new car, I was in a dilemma, but my choice was Disco LR4. I watched a lot of models, among other things I considered the new Mercedes GLC, however, the new LR4 is love at first sight. I choose version with a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine with 180 hp, as well as a nine-speed ZF automatic transmission. When it comes to the fuel economy Im very satisfied, but when it comes to the acceleration Im not so satisfied. We can not say that this is sports car, although it has a label Sport. But for me speed isnt the primary, so I cant take this as a major objection to the model. All in all, this model has my recommendation, so if you are looking for a roomy SUV with robust design then this is the right choice for you, and for me this is definitely the number one SUV on the market. It seems to me that Land Rover has never faster announced a successor of some model. I read that a new LR5 will be presented by the end of this year. I do not know what to think, except that this is not confirmed rumors, because I cant see what can they improve with new version, except some more powerful powertrain options. I just purchased my 3rd Range Rover and after 3 weeks (1.5 of which it was in the shop), I am getting rid of it. I have been driving for many years and am a competent, confident driver. Or at least I used to be confident. This car stalls WHILE DRIVING, stalls while stopped at lights, the doors open while driving! This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a car, Ive had nightmares and Im scared of my family using it to drive anywhere. Oh yeah, and when it stalls, it stalls in DRIVE and then the cheap knob/gear shifter sticks and there is NOTHING you can do to put it in park to restart the car. So there you are, in the middle of the road/highway/busy intersection with your high end car looking like an idiot and fearing for your life. Ive been a RR gal for 20 years. Theyve lost me now and Im going to warn anyone and everyone. I cant believe there arent any class action lawsuits over this.

Words cannot describe my frustration with the service I have received from the various Land Rover dealerships here in DE and PA. Anything from not receiving a call back at all, selling me rims with chipped powder coating that they could not remedy, shop foreman telling me that my car does not have keyless entry when it did (and he was not able to get it working), to waiting almost 3 hours in the service department with nothing done on my car only to learn that the staff was out to lunch for most of that time... The list goes on and on. *By far the most unprofessional & disorganized bunch of meatheads I have ever met -- consistently bad experience between the below dealerships: Wilmington, DE, Willow Grove, PA, West Chester, PA.Im left to believe that this is just business as usual for Land Rover, which only reinforces the thought that I should have never left Mercedes and BMW (West Chester, PA). Those dealership service departments were PHENOMENAL!!! Going to ride out the remaining 1 year warranty then get back to a car that I know, can provide better service. I love my car, just hate the service Ive received to date. Good luck consumers.

I was driving my 2013 Range Rover Evoque earlier today and the steering failed and it started to makes a screeching noise. Fortunately no one was hurt but I was very disturbed by feedback I have received from x3 Land Rover garages. Each from my description of the fault has diagnosed it as a steering rack failure. One mechanic confirmed that this is a common fault and Land Rover recalled 2012 models to rectify this. I have been advised that there is a 3-4 week lead-time to fix due to a backlog in parts indicating that there is a high failure rate and the cost will be approximately £3,000 for a car that has only done 45,000 miles and 6 months out of warranty. I am in the process of ordering the parts but wondered if anyone else has seen this issue as I think it is highly dangerous and should be investigated. I have filed a complaint to the Driving Standards Agency, curious to see if anyone else has experienced this problem.

My name is Francesca and I recently moved to Antibes, France with my daught
My name is Francesca and I recently moved to Antibes, France with my daughters Chiara and Allegra. We are English and chose our new car three years ago from Land Rover Azur Cars. A Defender 90 in gun metal grey --love at first sight! This spring, on the motorway, there was suddenly a metallic roaring noise beside me. I thought it was a lorry overtaking but in fact, it was me. The 6th gear had taken on a life of its own. Concerned that I might be stranded, I limped home in 4th and booked an appointment with Land Rover Azur Cars for 16th May 11. I was also concerned that the 3-year warranty for the car expired mid-July 11. Allegra and her car are permanently in Milan so when I took the Defender in, they organized a Mini for me as a substitute. At the cost of 50 euros per day. The chief mechanic, Claude **, told me to call the next day but there was no diagnosis. In the meantime, I received an urgent letter from Land Rover headquarters informing all owners of this model that there was seepage of oil into the braking system and that I should hotfoot it to Land Rover. Given that the car was already there, I sent Mr. ** the letter and finally received information that the gearbox would have to be replaced (he told me that both works were under guarantee) and that he would ask Land Rover to take over the charges for the Mini. I told him very clearly that I was booked for an extended stay abroad from 8th June until 4th October 11, advising him too that Chiara couldnt drive due to a medical condition and that the Mini was parked on the road nearby just getting dirty. He told me there was no problem, all was in hand and not to worry.Time rolled on, Chiara and I called LR Azur Cars many times with no result going through various departments of used car sales, BMW motorbikes, the latest Mini/Land Rover promotion and put on endless hold for the mechanics department. Finally, I left. To shorten the story, Chiara telephoned and emailed regularly to find out what was happening. After a desperate phone call from Chiara to Azur Cars, there was an arrangement for someone to bring the LR and take back the Mini on 4PM one afternoon. Chiara took time off work, waited for the rendezvous but no one showed up. On 26/08/11, a registered letter from Land Rover Azure Cars arrived saying: We received the Land Rover frame No. ** on 17th May (it was actually 16th May). The car was repaired on 20th June. We dont have any room and cant keep your car here indefinitely. We are asking you to pay 35 per day for parking rates as well as the rental of 50 per day starting on the 30th June up until you come to pick up the car and deliver the rental one.In one phone call from the office of the lawyer I have now employed (after receiving the registered letter), a discussion from LR Azur Cars to go 50/50 was mooted but was rejected. Three letters have been sent by the lawyer to LR Azur Cars, but no reply as yet. The lawyers letters have been indignant and he has told me not to go to Land Rover Azur Cars/Mini before seeing him. I cant be without my car indefinitely while the lawyers send each other indignant letters. I consider this situation similar to legalized extortion and I do not intend to pay a penny for something brought about entirely by the inefficiency and inflexibility of Land Rover Azur Cars.I have returned the Mini to the rental company, I have had to fork out 2,000.00 for the wear and tear incurred by having it parked on the street for 4 months and the post sales director refused to give me my car unless I paid the above sum. I dont want this ridiculous mountain created from a molehill to grow in even greater proportions. Please send me any advice/help possible as it doesnt seem likely that I am going to see my car again for at least another year, until the court order is over (wishful thinking?). Yours very sincerely,Francesca **

Land Rover Discovery Sport. Where do I start? Ill start by saying that that this is a comparatively inexpensive vehicle built by a luxury car company (mine was $50k compared to $80K) and the TATA company just cant do it. The 4 cylinder turbo is zippy once it gets going and the car is fun to drive, holding like glue in the inclement weather. But thats where the joy stops. The car has experienced problems since 150 miles on the clock. At the time of this writing Ive owned the car for 6 months (4500 miles) and its been in for repair, literally more than 3 of those months, 12+ weeks. Im going on my 9th straight week in the shop it right now. Multiple check engine lights (that was the first), transmission electronically leaving the gear (unable to duplicate), seat quality/fit problems, screen and radio malfunctions (reported software updates) brake wear warning, more rattles than my 1997 British convertible sports car coming from everywhere. This car even has a rattle mod that requires disassembly of the interior down to the sheet metal, cutting and re-welding body panels. My out the door price for the car was $52,500 in November. The dealer has offered my $45,000 in mid May and to get away from the total aggravation, Im taking the $7500 hit and NEVER going back to Jaguar/Land Rover again. A $1250 loss for every month Ive owned it and a $2500 per month cost for the time I was able to operate it, and Im happy to get away. Had I looked into the internet user groups, I would have seen all the problems owners are having worldwide. Do your research before jumping into this. The badge means nothing. This is not the Land Rover of the Queen.

Land Rover makes a variety of models, Range Rover included but pricier. There is an LR2, an LR4, different sports varieties which depends on the style you like and your personal aesthetic towards vehicles. Land Rovers were first described to me to be an all-terrain vehicle that can handle a variety of weather conditions. Some have a roll feature on top in case the vehicle were to roll, most are more square in appearance and have the inside of a sporty luxury vehicle. Land Rovers and Range Rovers both have upgrade features that many other car brands have as well and most vehicles have the ability for seat options greater than 5 people which is great for large families or people needing the extra space for traveling, off roading, camping, etc. Loved the Land Rover but expensive to maintain.

Then there is the Infotainment system - it just hangs and the rearview camera is choppy initially - objects suddenly appear dangerously close when the camera refreshes.Dropped it off at dealer to get these issues checked - they took 1 month to supposedly resolve the issues - however they found the windshield to be leaking (on a 4 month old car). This took almost 1.5 months to arrive (heated windshield) from UK. After installing it, they found none of the electronics will power on - apparently water damage was found in both electronic controllers and they are currently replacing them. After 3.5 months I still did not get my vehicle back. With the water damage I am seriously concerned about mold and breathing it continuously through the AC system. Its a safety hazard. This is ridiculous and just bad quality control. Its a Safety and Health Hazard. JLR needs to ditch the buggy infotainment system - at some point a good business needs to realize when to cut the losses and switch to a different option.

Range Rover Evoque - Car lost power on the highway going uphill. The dealership said I had a blown turbo charger and the car had 57k miles on it so it was not under warranty. $4k later & two weeks in the shop I have the car back and am nervous to drive it. Ive also had both front headlights blow out during a nasty snow storm & dealership had no idea why. Good thing that happened under warranty or else I would have had to pay. The car is dangerous and there should be a suit against Land Rover.

Its very convenient for me. It has very safe features that I look for in a brand. Very trust worthy. Ive been shopping this brand mostly all my life. It has never let me down. Air bands are countable. Seat belts are comfortable and so are the seats. Seat heater is wonderful because it snows a lot where I live. The back space is very useful. A lot of storage under the seats which is a big factor and helps a lot. Tvs so I can entertain my kids. Its easy to clean. Also, drives smoothly. Its able to fit up to 15 people which is a plus for my big family. I have kids with friends that sometimes I have to give them rides to school or to practice and its perfect for space.

Transmission replacement was declined while under warranty. I had taken my vehicle in for issues with the transmission. I brought these issues to the attention of the dealership while the vehicle was still under an extended warranty. They kept the vehicle for several weeks at a time and did not make any repairs to the transmission. My transmission continues to show signs of impending failure. I took the vehicle back in to have the issue addressed and they said that the transmission needed replacing; however, due to the extended warranty expiration, the repairs to the transmission will be at my expense. The service manager at Livermore Land Rover said that there are several notes in my service records that I had concerns with the transmission problems. I have sought an attorney. However, his suggestion is for me to take the consumer affair route first as he sees that the case is very simple. A preexisting condition is the responsibility of the car company to repair.

Between Range and Land Rovers, theres a ton of options. Theres the Sport, Discover, and Evoque which are all different prices. They are very nice and easily customizable. You can customize almost anything. A popular route is the blacked out Range Rover, which looks very sleek. You can also choose from the basics - just color of leather and outside. The car is beautiful inside and beautiful outside! I love the look and feel of the cars. Great colors for leather and outside. It has very distinct look and you can tell they are Rovers. A lot of the cars have a 7 person capacity, but the back seats can be small and crammed. The front seats are full and luxurious, though, and could comfortably seat two petite people (not while driving though!). Its overall a great car and would recommend it.

Never had such a money pit for a car. Avoid like the plague. Lots of ownership experience with high end/luxury cars--Volvo, Lexus, Cadillac Escalade, Mercedes. Less than two years ago we bought our first Land Rover LR4, brand new. Tires lasted 12,000 miles, brakes and rotors failed at 22,000 miles (today). On top of that, put close to $3,000 into it for regular maintenance checks. In less than two years. Outrageous.

I purchased my Discovery Sport 5 years ago and the moment payments were complete and warranty was up the timing chain broke, damaged the valves and failed the engine entirely. This incident happened a few days ago on the highway (clearly safety issues here!) and I was lucky enough that I could pull over and stay in one piece. Vehicle was towed and dealership first told me in order to replace the valves and fix everything it costs 10,000 $. They then called again and said they dont even feel comfortable with that because it can fail again so the entire engine needs to be rebuild therefore cost will come to 20,000$!!Now to be clear, I have serviced this car year every year (64000 miles currently aka well below 100k miles) since purchase and have completed all the recommended replacements and services with the dealership asked me to do since 2015. In fact the question now is why at each service visit multiple parts had to be replaced (costing anywhere from 500-4000) and now at 5 year mark the entire engine fails!!! Do your research. I looked this up and there is a lawsuit in 2018, same incident right after the 5 mark warranty. The customers car shut down when the customer was driving (in NJ).Company should be paying 100% for this repair or simply buy this junk back from me and give me a new car. I am in a back and forth situation with the dealership. I called the company and they opened the claim for me but the person on the phone had the audacity to ask me well I am not sure what you want us to do here. They also havent bothered following up. No one made any comment about the safety either!! As of now it is clear to me the company does not back their own products and they failed to inform the customers about the issue or recalling it when they knew very well timing chain has ongoing issues. More importantly safety is not their concerns at all!!! This matter will be escalated on my part! Dont buy their product!!! Choose wisely and do your research. I will be happy to spread the word on every social media platform so customers are aware and know their safety is at risk!

I own a 2016 Range Rover Evoque. Three days after I drove it off the lot, the engine light came on. A call to their service center resulted in being told to drive it for a week and see if it resets itself. Well, a week later and it didnt so I called back. Within the time frame of the engine light and the servicing, the trunk wouldnt close properly one day (kept bouncing back up) and upon closer look, I notice the latch was chewed up from it forcing itself closed. The Evoque went in for servicing and came out with no engine light and the dealership telling me it had to go into a body shop for 2 days to fix the trunk latches, which apparently arent aligned properly (translation: they lack a proper QA process on their assembly line). A few hours after I got the car back, the engine light came back on. I called the dealership back and was told that the issue is part of a problem that Land Rover hasnt sent a fix for. Great. So since buying the car, Ive had the engine light on and the trunk doesnt close properly. It was scheduled to go in for servicing at the body shop today or tomorrow but the service folks wont tell me what day. I STILL cannot get in touch with them - leaving multiple messages results in nothing. No call back. Nothing. So I have no idea what is going on. And as if all of this wasnt enough, last week we had rain. Yes. Rain. But apparently a Range Rover doesnt like rain. At 2:00 in the morning, I was awoken by the car beeping twice every 10 seconds. I actually thought the alarm was going off, but unlocking and locking the vehicle didnt stop it. When I walked up to the car, the beeping stopped, but the trunk started to open and close, repeatedly, in the pouring rain. I had NO idea what was happening. A quick google search told me it was the sensors for the trunk, and that RAIN does this. Imagine that - RAIN. So I decided to back the car up as close to my porch to try to protect it from the rain, but this didnt stop it. Horn going back off. Its now 2:45 AM. I have an 8 AM meeting. My neighbors are telling me theyre going to take a ** baseball bat to the car if I dont shut it up. So when I approach it (within a meter) the trunk starts to open again, but because its so close to the house, it cant open all the way and then it BEEPS to tell me it cant and then closes. This is no joke. I cant even get off the porch to get into the car to stop it because the stupid trunk opening wont let me. I had to climb OVER the side of the porch and garbage cans to get off the porch (in the pouring rain in the middle of the night in my pajamas) to get into the car. Starting it stopped nothing. So I tried to tape garbage bags over the sensors to protect them - nope. Didnt work. At 3:00 in the morning, I had to drive my brand new 2016 Range Rover Evoque 20 minutes north of my house to an industrial area with no houses so it could beep to its hearts content. I was soaking wet, frozen and exhausted, and I sat in the car until 6:10 AM when the rain decided to ease up enough that the car would shut up. Then I drove back home, showered and went to work. Do you know what the dealerships response was? Remove the fuse for the horn. THIS is what they tell me to do. I drove my Mazda 3 for 7 years and didnt have a single problem with it. Ive owned this Evoque for 2 1/2 months and its been a nightmare. I expect the issue to be FIXED, or give me another damn Evoque sans issues. But dont tell me to drive with an engine light on and remove the fuse for my horn to solve problems. These should NOT be my problems to solve. Its BRAND NEW. So no - do not buy a vehicle because they have issues and the servicing and customer service is absolutely dreadful.

They suggested to call Customer Service (Cristina) - They called all the dealers around my area and no parts are available. They suggested to take the car to a 3rd party shop - They could not recommend one. They escalated the call and will take 7-14 days to respond. The customer service agreed to carry the liability of having the Range Rover leaking my garage for 7-14 days. The conversation was recorded for my record. It is the worse car experience in my life.

On 23 July 2014 I purchased a 2011 Range Rover HSE with 35,043 miles on it for $63,289.00 from Land Rover Seattle. At that time I also purchased a warranty from National Warranty Corp., for $5000. To date I’ve put less than 35k miles on the vehicle. So basically Ive spent over $1800 per mile driven. The vehicle has completely stalled out (complete loss of power) on 6 different occasions. On three of those 6 occasions I’ve been put in life-threatening positions. On this last occasion, while entering the freeway at 60 miles per hour the vehicle stalled out. Two times before that I stalled out while crossing a major intersection blocking 8 lanes and the police had to direct traffic and call in 2 other officers to push me out of the way.My vehicle has been in the shop for approximately 100+ days in the last 5 years. I’ve been very patient, but this last close call has pushed me over the edge. I’ve been so traumatized that I no longer am able to drive the vehicle. I contacted their corporate office and the dealership. The sales manager told me, over the phone they would give me $18,000 toward a trade-in + another $2000. When I got to the dealership today they told me they would give me 10K. for my car. It was my dream to own a Range Rover, but clearly it is only for the very wealthy, as I cant afford to drop 63k on a vehicle that I put 35K miles on and the value is now 10k. Please also note that I had a 45,000 and 65,000 mile service on the vehicle.

Our Range Rover Sport 2015 with 47,000kms under 3 years old goes into limp mode and JLR service says it needs a new engine. Although still under warranty they refuse to replace the engine, firstly they say we put the wrong oil in it...this is tested and proven incorrect. Next they say warranty is refused because you cannot supply the entire service history (we purchased vehicle from an auction). We finally track down the original owner and provide the entire service history which is in the perimeters of warranty terms. Still JLR press on for statutory declarations and proof of genuine parts. This goes on for 8 months while JLR try their hardest to squirm their way out of honouring the Warranty. After 8 long months without our vehicle and being treated with distain by JLR Customer Support we finally got a new engine which we were always entitled to. In summary nice comfortable car to drive but will Never buy another Range Rover or product from JLR...Pick up your game JLR, build vehicles that last and have a really good look at your customer service practices.

I have written a review before on this site but this time after 6 years of being in court with Land Rover. I can now tell you everything what has happened. First I have owned 6 Range Rovers and up to the last one I bought from Lloyds Land Rover in Carlisle UK dealer. I had little or no problems with the cars. But then I bought a new sport HSE with the new Jaguar engine 3 litre. From the start this car was a lemon. After only driving less than 200 miles I had a fault when I was driving along it would pull up for no reason. The dash would light up with all kinds of failed components such as hill decent fail brake assist fail engine management fail gearbox fail just about everything.I would then ring Lloyds of Carlisle up and complain that the car has stopped again. This happened several times. I was getting sick. I had just bought this car at a cost of over 65 thousand pound of my very hard earned money. At that price you would think you would have no trouble. This was not the case.I told the garage that I wanted the car fixed so I was asked by Lloyds of Carlisle to take the car in and could I leave it for 3 days. I agreed to this. On the third day Lloyds rang me up and told me that the car was fixed and I would have no more bother with it again. This was on the Friday around 5:30 that weekend we used my wifes car as my new Range Rover had let us down so many times before. On the Monday morning I got into the Range Rover 30th November 2009. I was going to a site meeting at Lochmaben. This was the first phase of 30 houses we started for DGHP possible 5 thousand houses that was getting upgraded and I had a chance of that work. When I was driving the car just out of Lloyds of Carlisle I reached a speed of between 60 - 70 MPH. All of a sudden without warning the cars brakes activated and I came to an abrupt stop. I hit my head on the headrest. Also my left hand was pushed into the steering wheel. I did not know what had happened at all. It was so fast. At first I did think something hit me from the rear but when I gained composure nothing had hit me. The only way I could describe what happened was it was like an emergency stop. I was very angry. I rang the garage from the car and told them what had happened that I was rejecting the car. I did not want it anymore. When I got to the garage I told ** all about it. By this time my neck was hurting a bit also my left hand. Lloyds gave me a loan car and I was told that somebody would ring me later that day. I drove home rang the site gave my apologies told them what had happened that I would not be on site that day. As the day went on my neck got worse so I decided not to go in that week. I struggled on for about 8 week until my wife forced me to go to the doctors from that day. The rest was history. I was x-rayed and I was told that I had shattered my neck after 3 operations on my spine. I am now in a wheelchair and never worked from that day.I had to pay off my workers and close my company down. I lost out in a big way a contract worth tens of thousands of pounds. I tried to sort it out with Land Rover but it was a joke. I was offered 20 thousand pounds plus replacement car at no charge. To me I accepted the car but when that was delivered after about 25 miles it developed the same problem. I was so angry but when I phoned up Lloyds of Carlisle I was told that the problem had been found and had been recalled. It went in. I was told it had sensors replaced and software upgrade had been done. I sold the car soon after but that car before it had done 20 thousand miles the engine had blown up. I did not know about all the problems Jaguar Land Rover had with their cars. If I did I would not be in the condition I am today as I could not sort out some sort of compensation with them and decided to take them to court after the biggest cover up by Land Rover in court. They lied in court to win committed perjury. The judge also said to me that I was trying to besmirch the good name of a first class company. He was under the impression that nothing like I said went wrong with their product dont know if he got a new car out of it or not.All I know is that after six year it was a farce. The only problem is I dont have the money to take them to the high court in London. If there is anyone out there has similar faults with their Range Rovers give me a call or email me as if something is not done to sort out this company. Someone will be killed because of the cars they make. According to Land Rover nothing ever goes wrong with their cars? Email is ** phone is **. Feel free to call or email me. It would help. Thanks.

After owning this 2022 Land Rover Defender I have problems. The camera have a red box around the screen and my backup sensors and front sensors do not work. I have to bring in to the dealership but I’m on vacation in Cabo San Lucas for 4 months and there’s the problem. Won’t reimburse me on trip protection because the car is drivable. The closest dealership is 1056 miles away 1 way. Also there are a lot of noises coming from the driver headliner by the grab handle. If you pull down the noise goes away. In the back also there was a noise and I put some tape on the problem area and so far the noise has not came back. You would think on a $91,000 car customer service would help you out better.

Many Land Rovers can suit a lot of your needs from what Ive seen. I personally had an older model. It was more of all-terrain vehicle than looks. It wasnt a typical Land Rover. My Land Rover had a top that came off which was cool because during the summer it was fun to drive around. It was also yellow, which made it stand out and show personality. My Rover actually had decent space. Two seats in the front and three at the back. Although, I had a lot of trunk space and the seats collapsed. The problem I had with it was it was very difficult to upgrade. The parts are all European parts, so it was expensive and also timely to fix.

I bought my 3rd Land Rover in 2017 after a long hiatus (after issues in 1998/2003). Almost immediately the infotainment screen began blacking out and rebooting all the time. It took 3 days for them to update this, it worked a bit better but it was not perfect. Whenever I called in for service, they would ask me if I was SURE I wanted to get it fixed (like, are you SURE you want to wait for how long its going to take us) because they dont have loaner cars, and the technicians are slow to get to issues. This was April 2017. Forward to December. I am driving out of my neighborhood (I am at 5500 altitude) and I accelerate aggressively to get around an 18 wheeler as I am getting into high speed traffic coming down the mountain. My accelerator pulls from my foot, is flush with the floor, and tips at 85 mph with the RPM gauge redlining at 8000. The car is wobbling and shaking, I have zero control of it. I press the brake several times pretty hard/gentle and it finally pops out. I never drove the car again. (Note, the service person had the audacity to ask if I was sure I wasnt accidentally driving with both feet. Right. 1st gear at 8000 RPM. With my right foot on the brake. Yeah). Car was towed back to the dealership where I got it, 500 miles away, they offered me a decent trade amount, I trade up to a Supercharged regular Range Rover, with a hefty price tag. They put this car above back out on the lot for sale a few days later. The new car has issues almost immediately. The steering wheel jerking into left and right lanes at high speeds out of the blue. Techs said, Oh disable your lane assist. So I did that, no help. I almost was jerked into an 18 wheeler on a curve on a highway in the rain the next day going 65mph. Then they say, Oh, disable your blind spot warning. I did this as well. Of no help. I go in and uncheck the driver assist for both options, and it seems to help some. Then of course the black screen starts its visits, rebooting in the middle of driving or not coming on at all. Bluetooth calls dropping. The gear shift dial sticking (cant D to R or R to D or P) and with the computer rebooting randomly, coming back on during driving, all the cameras go nuts and start making sounds all over the place until it realizes that the car is actually DRIVING now, not trying to park. The dealership refunded my money for this one. I am forever grateful for that, they did step up. They did imply that LRs were more for appeal and looks and status than reliability and dependability. They say, its a great car if you are ok with being in the shop, even better to live near one. I got a GMC Yukon Denali yesterday. Its amazing, and my breakup with Land Rover is complete. The accelerator incident was one of the scariest events of my life. I am not a panicky person, but I had nightmares for weeks after that one.

This is not in my character to post negative comments online about something that I like (I absolutely love my 2013 Range Rover Evoque) but I was advised by a manager at a retailer that this was probably my best bet to get some sort of explanation for the recent sub-par treatment I have been experiencing from Land Rover, in particular the Huntington, NY location. On 12/15, my fiancé and I were driving when a message on the dashboard flashed and said that the front left tire needed air. So my fiancé went ahead and attempted to put air in the tire. When he unscrewed the air valve, it broke, causing the tire to become flat. We ended up putting the spare on, which caused another message to pop up saying that there was a fault in the tire sensor system and because this happened at 2300, we decided to call the dealer the next morning. On 12/16, we called the Huntington dealership where we bought the car and were told that the next appointment would not be available until next week. We called several other dealerships that day and even explained the urgency of the problem being that we work 40mi away and did not feel safe driving on the spare. We were told that there was nothing Land Rover can do for us. My fiancé explained that we are being forced to look into other options to get the original tire repaired because we cannot wait a week, and again we were told theres nothing they can do, but give us the next available appointment. We ended up getting the original tire put back on, but the dashboard kept reading that there was a fault in the tire sensor system. My fiancé then drove the car for the scheduled appointment, and waited for the problem to be fixed. However, when the service men told him that it was ready, the dashboard kept flashing the same message. He told them that message was still there and the mechanic impolitely told him to just drive the car 5 miles and the message would go away. After driving for 10mi, the message stayed the same and he drove the car back to the dealership where they decided to give us a loaner and further look into the vehicle. Now today 1/4/17, Land Rover Huntington calls my fiancé to tell him that the service that they provided is not under warranty and we have to pay $400. I called Land Rovers customer service, and spoke to a representative that told me that tires are not included in the warranty, and that because of the recent holiday season there was limited availability for service. Two things wrong here: 1. it is something wrong with the sensory system not the tire and 2. there is no need to justify unsatisfactory customer service. Im very aware that we just celebrated a recent holiday season not to mention my birthday on 12/16, when I had to initially deal with this nonsense.Unfortunately, I am nowhere near my vehicle to look at the specifics of the warranty, but I will say this: this has been one of the most insulting and dismissive customer service experiences I have ever had. I was really looking forward to stay in Land Rover family and eventually upgrade to a vehicle for a growing family, but this service is absolutely deplorable. My mother who is the owner of a Mercedes Benz has never heard of such treatment with her company and here I am being subjected to this level of service, for what is known to be a luxury vehicle.
