Infiniti Automobile Model 2019 Infiniti QX60
After I leased a new 2019 QX60 and had a lot of serious issues with the dealership I contacted Infiniti corporate affairs. The level of professionalism and help I received is the reason this is my 3rd Infiniti and will be my go to brand for years to come. They took the time to hear my issues and concerns, they became the middle man between me and the dealership and they made the difference in solving my issues. In the end they did not have to give me any compensation but they went above and beyond. Even after my issues were resolved they called to check on me and make sure I had no further complaints. I had the pleasure of dealing with 2 females derae and LaShondra who were professional and amazing problem solvers.
Infiniti manufactured a faulty dash in the Infiniti fx35, which bubbles and cracks (after your warranty is up). Infiniti knows the material is damaged at my fault to the customer. Yet they will not pay for $2500.00 repairs. Infiniti will not discount the repair. However certain customers have been granted this courtesy. I guess Infiniti appreciate certain customers more than others. I have filed a complaint with them as well. There has to be something that can be done... I will never purchase another Infiniti!!
Temperature control unit - A/C turns itself on at highest speed and becomes stuck. I can feel the effect/pull that this has on the engine. Also, audio unit screen goes blank while playing and cannot be adjusted or shutoff until engine is turned off. Both units, inoperable. Problem sometimes ceases and sometimes persists with engine re-start. [Im also concerned with the safety hazard of the drain of power (on battery/alternator) if both units are involuntarily running full power, if not able to pull over and shut off car. The car has now stalled once while at a traffic light, following the onset of this problem.]I took the vehicle to my mechanic and was informed of a voluntary recall and presented with the paperwork. Campaign ID#: P3104 - Voluntary Service Campaign Audio Finisher Circuit Board. Applied Vehicle: 2003 G35 Sedan (V35). Dealer Responsibility. After numerous times being told (via phone call) that there was no recall, I informed the dealer (Warranty Manager) that I was looking at (and citing from) the voluntary recall paperwork. After spending much time on hold, the Warranty Manager confirmed the recall. I was ultimately informed that my vehicle did not fall within the VIN #s for the first 23,600 vehicles built. Therefore, my vehicle did not qualify for repair under the recall. I was told that there was nothing I could do under the parameters of this recall. I asked for a quote for the repair. Estimated: $700 parts and labor. When I asked if there was anything else I could do, I was suggested to file a complaint with Consumer Affairs. So here I am.
Infiniti qx60 is a good, solid and reliable car. Id consider purchasing another when this car is older. Nice gas mileage and overall a good value. I like the great cruise control and lane detection options as well. The usable third row is hard to find as most seats dont move to accommodate people coming in and out of the third row. Also love the massive skylights as well. But the GPS is not always accurate which can be a bit of an annoyance but it can be remedied by using cell phone GPS. Also, I dont like that the inside of the driver’s side door is easily scratched and is not in good shape. It also has some pretty major blind spots and sometimes its hard to see over the hood.
1 year ago, I noticed my dashboard sticky. I take it to Schumacher West Palm Beach Infiniti to look at it and service advisor says dash looks like it is rotting but cant be a defect because nobody else has had the problem, only in the FX model but has never seen it before in the G35. My car is 2007 and had at the time 45,000 miles approx but could be less because I have never had to clean my car because Infiniti would clean it after every service call. My car is practically garage kept, the service advisor contacts the infiniti consumer and they say they will only cover half of the $1200 to replace the dash. I refused feeling very slighted and moved on...Since then I have always had a problem with a haze on the inside windshield and was told its probably a toxic fume from the breakdown of the plastic in the dash. Now I am concerned for my health and have been very sick with allergies and pneumonia and feel dizzy and lightheaded every time I drive my car and have noticed more cracks around the air vents on the passenger side where the door and dash meet and is chipping away exposing the foam underlayment and this is why I have since contacted Infiniti consumer and they refuse to even look at my car (which they never did the first time year ago) because I refused the half compensation the first time, and told me if if I wanted to contact the Better Business Bureau I could. And I have, I have not heard anything yet. I feel a car of this caliber should maintain better when taken extreme care of, I have had American cars last much longer and feel totally ripped off by wasting twice as much money on my G35 than any other car. I really do like the car except this problem but will not waste my money on another Infiniti again but they dont seem to care about the small pittance of one customer, their customer loyalty and the dealership is less than desired.
We purchased a used 2015 QX80 with 65,000 miles on it. We did love the car and was an amazing ride till this week. We had some issues and it was running very rough and the engine light came on. So we had it towed to a local shop and he said the codes it was pulling it was something internal (P0011 & P0021) and we needed to have it looked at from a dealer. So the Local Nissan diagnosed it as stretched timing chains. They said it was right about $4000 to fix it. So this car just has 105,000 miles on it and we paid nearly $38,000 for it. So I have a car that I paid nearly $40,000 dollars for it, I have only put 40 thousand miles on it and I have to put $4,000 into it to get it running. I called the Infiniti Consumer affairs and got nothing but sorry. I explained that I have a stay at home mom with 5 kids and we are on a very tight budget, etc. She then said that I would have to have it towed to Infiniti instead of Nissan???? Same company? They said they cannot have Nissan look at it and this was done by one of their master mechanics. So this means tow it a third time with and pay another diagnose fee for what? Infiniti should step up to the plate here. I asked the girl I spoke with to give me a supervisor and she said there were none. She was reading from a script as you could tell just to get you off the phone. I then asked her how she would feel if you purchased a car for 40,000 dollars and only got 40K out of it and now have to put 4 thousand dollars into it. She said she could not reflect on that? This is what customer service departments have come to? No emotions or anything. Just firmly I cant reflect? I said, (ask your CEO or director how they would feel if their mom of 5 was going through this). Again nothing. After doing research, this is a problem that Infiniti knows about but is doing nothing. Just look around on some blogs and you will find them. As well there are issues with the catalytic converters at $1,300 a piece for both sides. I was just wanting them to do whats right and stand by the product. I am a sales manager that travels the US and trust me that I will share this story with every individual I come in contact with. In my business I tell my people to treat people right and they will come back every time... Treat people like you want to be treated and you just built a successful business. I cannot believe this company and its products. We will never purchase another Infiniti or Nissan and I will make sure my kids remember what we are going through when they make their decisions for a car. I will share this story at every sales meeting, and while visiting clients for sure!!!
Ever since I bought an Infiniti G35 2006 Ive had nothing but problems with the POS mainly the transmission, I had it replaced with another tranny and now I have the same problem, I wish someone with the resources and time would sue this company for their malpractice, as well as VW. They have the same issues and know it but neither does anything about it.
I got screwed by Infiniti. They sold me a wrecked QX56 truck as new. Really? How low is that? Sell a wrecked car as new? Wow, I am pissed and Im going to fight back. Do not buy Infiniti. I have contacted Sonic, Infiniti of Tysons Corner and their attorney and they are not responding in a timely manner. My safety, patience and goodwill towards the Infiniti brand are wearing thin. Please intervene before this situation becomes an unfortunate PR disaster. In October of 2006, I thought I was buying a brand new 2006 QX56. I paid market rate for a new car, not used and not wrenched. I would have never bought the car had I known it was damaged. Now I found out the car was wrenched, repaired and sold to me as new without my knowledge. I found out about the accident through Carfax in August 2012 when trying to trade in my truck for a new one due to some serious mechanical issues.Apparently, the car was involved in an accident strong enough to deploy the air bags and damage the axle. Jim Coleman Infiniti service record shows the car was repaired and serviced after the accident. I contacted Jim Coleman service department and they confirmed that the car was damaged and serviced by them prior to sending the truck over to Infiniti of Tysons Corner. I feel betrayed, swindled and cheated. They sold me a wrecked truck as new. Unacceptable, this is plain and simple fraud. I paid new car price which means I overpaid. I financed the car which means I paid extra interest on an overpriced damaged car. I insured a car that was not worth the price paid. It was over-insured. Upon trade-in, my trade-in value was depressed due to the fact the truck was in an accident. Airbag deployment is a serious accident with potential frame damage.Safety issue - The car was damaged with air bag deployed. Was the air bag replaced? Would it work now? Was I ever in danger? Was my family in danger? Over the years, the car rattled and vibrated at 60-80 MPH. The dealer’s response was to change tires. Over the year, the brakes would regularly perform inconstantly. My demand is a formal apology and replacement for a new 2013 QX56.
I patch the new QX60 2020. From day one a lot of issues in the car when is very cold. The window glass is not rolling up. Heater is not working. I strongly recommend do not buy the Infiniti. Im not going to buy anymore Infinity. I have a warranty but theyre saying diagnosis theyre going to charge it.
I purchased a new, fully loaded JX35 in early 2013 and since then have had several problems with it. First, the entire front panel burnt out as we were getting ready to go on a trip. Then the back lift gate had problems. Overall, not a very good impression. Then I find out that the JX35 is being renamed. Why would Infiniti do that to its customers. Basically all the owners of the JX35 are now at a big disadvantage if we ever want to sell our vehicles or trade it in. I will never buy another Infiniti again. Previously owned Lexus and never had any problems. Will go back to Lexus or Mercedes. Infiniti can change their cars names all day long, it still will never be a true luxury car.
Infiniti is by far the worst car to lease. Not only is the seating very uncomfortable but also created more back problems for me. The lumbar system in these vehicles is horrendous. What is even more upsetting, is their website has been down for days now. I cannot see my payoff amount. When I asked to remove the automatic payments option so I can make the last full payment (so I would not be overcharged with autopay) I was neglected and hung up on 4 different times. Customer service is a complete joke. One guy couldnt even get the volume on his headset to work. Do not lease from this company. Its time for Americans to stick with their bread and butter (Ford, Chevy, etc.)!
I purchased a used 1997 Infiniti J30 and 2 weeks after buying it, I noticed one night that the car had trouble accelerating. We thought that maybe it came from the muffler having a tiny pin-sized hole in it, but obviously that wasnt the problem. When I started out to work the next morning at 4 a.m., I noticed that the car would not accelerate past 20 mph. I turned around and went back home and waited until the repair shop opened. I made it there, and before I pulled into the parking lot at the shop, my car began making this loud tapping sound. They put it on the diagnostics machine and told me that I needed an engine. Wth?! I just purchased this vehicle from a young man who told me that he had gone to have it checked and the only problem they found was the hole in the muffler. How could this be?
5 months out of warranty my 2010 Infiniti G37 dash has started melting and is sticky. The car was purchased brand new and the dash has only been cleaned with a dry cloth to remove lint. Two days ago I noticed a spot on the dash that had completely melted and then noticed the two small cracks on the passenger side. I have submitted my information for the class action lawsuit. Ive also had the driver seat leather replaced due to discoloration after 3 years of use and the exterior paint is chipping. This will be my first and last Infiniti.
We purchased our 2010 G37 from Infiniti of Peoria (AZ) and both the car and service have been exceptional. A couple of minor items (window trim and transmission reprogram) were dealt with in 2011, and only routine servicing since. Even after six years, our salesperson (Robert) still remembers our names and stops by to chat whenever we are in for service. The car is a great highway cruiser, and still runs like it is new - by far the best car we have owned.
The leasing company held the car in their lot for 2 extra months before releasing the end of contract information. In the meantime, The DMV required full payment of registration or my license would be un-renewable. I had to pay the registration fee without owning the car. Then the leasing company billed an extra end of lease charge and wont remove it. The contact person, Brian, was pleasant in conversation, but refused to help, just out of spite.
I bought a preowned infiniti from Red Noland Infiniti and within 3 weeks it would randomly not start. After spending over 40 days total in their service dept they could not diagnose or fix the issue. Finally after 11 months of ownership and 57 total days in service, Mike Ward Infiniti came up with at least an idea of the problem. However, it is several hundred dollars and may not even be the actual issue. Red Noland told me it was not covered under warranty or the warranty that came with the car. After the 4th attempt at repairing they offered me 40% less than I paid for the car after a few months of very stressful ownership. (Imagine going somewhere, the store or hiking, and your car wont start for over an hour when you get back to it). Infiniti consumer affairs has been less than helpful as well the only competent people are at Mike Ward in highlands ranch. I have had two arbitration cases open with infiniti and even with the bbb, however since the car is over a year old, but still under warranty, they refused to do anything to fix the situation. I have owned 3 infinitis the last 5 years, 2 g35xs, and a q40, and I will never give Infiniti or Nissan another dime for a car! You would think they cared about customers with brand loyalty but thats as big a joke as calling their cars luxury performance sedans.
I have had 8 Infinitis in a row, mostly leases. The vast majority have been fantastic experiences. Recently, however, I am left looking for another brand after this lease has expired. I have had issues for over 2 years now with my map screen, radio, and bottom screen going out every 7 minutes since I purchased the vehicle. I have brought the vehicle back numerous time and they have replaced numerous components to no avail. Finally, the service technician figured out what the issue was and, after having my car at the shop for 2 weeks trying to get Infiniti to pay for the TCU, they finally figure out the problem.I contacted Consumer Affairs in hope of getting some fair recompense for my 2 years of inconvenience (I travel a lot in my vehicle, so every 7-minute glitch was extremely aggravating). They agreed to make 2 payments. I was hoping for quite a bit more, maybe I am being selfish, but I spent over 10k on this lease and never has it worked as it shouldve. I asked for them to pay the rest of my lease (10 payments left) or give me an incentive for my next vehicle, and got road blocked by the agent. Every time I called, it routed back to the same guy who would not allow me to speak to any supervisor or anyone other than him. Needless to say, I will not be leasing or buying another Infiniti. It was a great run, but all good things must come to an end I guess.
I bought a 2000 Infiniti I30t on 9/6/2011 as is but within 2 days, the cars check engine light came on. I thought it was simple so I took it to a certified and well-known mechanic in the city. They cleared it and said the car is fine but a few days later the light came back on. The real problem with that is with the check engine light on the cars transmission behaves weird and the engine revs without the car moving after its been driven for a while. The mechanics did not want to charge for just driving the car for a few hours to replicate the issue so they gave it back and said if the light comes back then we have a bigger issue at hand. They told me to check out Consumer Affairs to see how I can go about handling this issue.
I bought a brand new INFINITI Q50 Hybrid with technology package in September 2013. Got hit by a deer on Nov 3, 2013 and the car is with the auto body shop till date with no hope in sight... Parts were ordered from Japan but apparently, the new ECM modules were not compatible with the one in the car and now all modules need to be replaced and there is no ETA on the delivery of these parts. I have incurred tremendous stress, frustration and money in paying for rental cars thus far and still using a rental... The car was bought with me putting down $20k and financed for $30k and am still paying the monthly $530 for not using the car! Can I please have my equity ($approx $20k) and the rental car expense back and NISSAN can take the car away...
Jx35 wont turn off? Dont know the consequences yet because Im still sitting in it! Been here for an hour and the truck will not shut off. Tried with the key fob over the ignition button and nothing. I suppose disconnecting the battery is next. Not sure how an already shoddy electrical system will hold up to that.
On Sept. 2010, both headlights went out as we were driving home at night. We had to drive over one hour with high beams. As there is no Infinite Dealership close to us and the car was out of warranty, we took the car to a Nissan Dealership that has a Infinite Certified Mechanic. We found that we had to replace the whole bucket system which costs over $4000.00 for the headlights! We had it repaired and now one year and one month later, we had another headlight go out and we are looking at an estimated $1500 more for HEADLIGHTS. We called customer service and was treated unreasonably and with no help. No one should have to put out this kind of money for an Infinite M35 (2006) 70,000 miles. Rosa was the unfriendly so-called customer service agent we dealt with. We have to believe that Infinite has had issues with headlights and others have been burned with this kind of repair costs.
Infiniti has a good selection of sedans and SUVS, at affordable luxury prices. The Q60 comes in AWD, and has the colors I like. The Q60X is the SUV equivalent of the sedan version. The car is sporty, it has an attractive interior exterior. I bought it because I like the way the interior and how roomy and spacious it is. The features that caught my attention most were the bluetooth sync and the climate control feature which makes everyones ride a smooth one. The upgrades were impressive. I bought a pack that was surprisingly affordable. It included a rear view camera and heated front seats. Also dvd entertainment feature. Assisted parking was also a feature that I thought was handy. My vehicle seats up to 5 people comfortably and it also has plenty of cargo room with a spacious trunk.
In a two-month span of time my Infiniti G37x seem to have sudden and explained acceleration. On the first occasion, I, Mark **, was the driver. I took the vehicle to a carwash. At the end of the wash I was waived forward by the guys who towel dry the vehicle. As I stepped on the accelerator the vehicle shot forward at a high rate of speed. I was surprised but blew it off as a fluke. Approximately one month later my wife was driving the vehicle. She was a red light; as the light started to turn green she moved her foot from the brake to the gas pedal and the vehicle again took off at a high rate of speed. Its not the kind of thing that happens regularly, so its difficult to know if its a real problem or human error. Frankly, after it happened with my wife I was really concerned because she is an extremely careful driver. Truth be told, she drives quite slowly.I would like to have the vehicle checked out and perhaps have the black box read to see if there is a sudden acceleration problem. Im not sure who or where I should go to have this matter fairly examined and if there is an independent body who evaluate complaints of this nature. As a direct consequence the vehicle was involved in an accident (second acceleration), resulting in approximately twenty thousand dollars in damage to my vehicle and additional damage to other vehicles and property. The vehicle went from a complete stop, traveled about 100 feet striking another vehicle at speeds in excess of 50 mph. In the first incident at the carwash, one employee jumped out of the way and I managed to bring the vehicle to a quick stop.
Junk, no other way to describe these cars, just junk. Ill never own another one. I told my wife we should have bought a Lexus, but no... With only 15k miles already they want to screw me out of over $250 telling me my rotors are bad and thats just the front! What are they made out of? Plastic?
The stereo and climate control not working. My Infiniti G35 has issue with Radio and Climate control. I have read that Infiniti had a recall for this repair. After calling and checking with dealer found out my car was not covered since it was manufacture in 2003 Dec. The cars are covered until August 2003. Same problem for which the dealer wants $1500 to fix. Nissan needs to own this problem and fix it.
Where should I start. A few months ago my 2014 Kia Optima SX Turbo began to show condensation on the front driver side fog light. I took it to my nearest Kia dealership (Ourisman Kia in Chantilly, VA) and they were very prompt in helping out and nice. Great group of people and great service department. The service department changed the whole fog light assembly and the issue continued to occur. Ourisman Kia escalated the issue to Kia Headquarters to see what could be done. Within a week a representative contacted me and was very polite in explaining the process. The Kia representative explained that because we had already changed the fog light assembly, he had to escalate the issue to a different office. The representative stated that someone from that office would contact me within two or three business day. I talked to the initial representative on 10 August 2016 at 17:30 pm and since then I have yet received any phone calls from the other department that is supposedly handling my case. I have called four separate times (08/15/2016, 08/17/2016, 08/19/2016 and 8/22/2016) directly to the person in charge of my case and nothing. I have been able to talk to other representative and they have been very helpful, but they tell me they cant do anything because my case has been escalated to a different office. Im hoping to get a phone call soon, but for now worst experience Ive ever had with Kia.
I took my car in for service, reluctantly, thinking once they had my address it would mean never-ending direct mail solicitations. I routinely unsubscribe from junk mail such as this but Infiniti has made it IMPOSSIBLE to do so. Ive spoken with the local dealership, corporate, been bounced around to Nissan, sometimes been told nobody knows which other part of the company is sending these, sometimes promised resolution, and at the end of the day continue to receive their BS. Most recently they had the audacity to send me a mailer with a business card inviting me to contact them at the local dealership personally. I will NEVER AGAIN get service from the dealership, and will NEVER buy another Infiniti, or Nissan, as a result of their persistence and disregard of a simple opt-out. I cannot express the extent of my frustration.
I bought a cpo 2015 qx60. After a while the lift gate strut got rusted and broke. INFINITI will not cover under their warranty. And also it costs 750.00 to replace just one side. Never will buy Infiniti again..
Duped by Infiniti. I purchased a brand new QX80 from my Houston dealer. The car is fantastic. At the time of purchase I was clear that I was likely to move to the UAE after a year or so. They assured me that my vehicle was fit for export and that the UAE Infiniti dealer will take care of me. Lo and behold, I arrived this Jan with my QX80, and the local dealer washed their hands off me, claiming the vehicle electronics is completely and that they will be unable to service or diagnose any issues with the vehicle. I feel my $90k is down the drain. Really disappointed! To make things worse, I wrote to both Infiniti USA as well as Infiniti ME. The US palmed me off to the ME office, and the ME office was not at all responsive. I will ensure to continue using every opportunity to discourage anyone supporting the Nissan and Infiniti brand. Shameless thugs!
One thing I have expectation is quality customer service. Cochran Infiniti has the idea that get them in get them dont pass on information that a customer could use or want. For instance I found that I was supposed to be enrolled in the portal. I wasnt. In fact the salesman was a yes man while you are there and screw you once you are gone. The Certified vehicle should not have been. I was told by the salesman things like the wheels would be fixed (rim scrapped). He lied the ashtray was going to be fixed and ready as well as the floor mats when I come in for my first service. The salesman lied, the object was to get me out the door, fast. In fact I pointed out the body punch also ignored. The culture at Cochran is not of quality but of getting sales at all cost. Tried to create an account on the customer portal after I found it existed. Unfortunately that was a waste of time. It refused to recognize my VIN and twice was rebuked by customer service. One person even told me I had to provide proof by uploading insurance documentation and registration as proof to the customer portal which I had to access to and wanted their help to create. They said not without proof. So Infiniti refused to recognize me as the owner of the Q50 of a vehicle bought at a dealer for new Infinitis which was supposed to be certified. Bought this vehicle in August. Its May 1. Infiniti has no chain of command and is not proactive and not quick to react if ever.
Overall I dislike the way how they handle the repaint to my 2019 QX50. It took few months to have it take to the shop. It took me 4 times going back and forth to have it test or investigate and took many picture to convince them that it is not a rock-chip. After few months they made a conclusion that they will repaint the area that is peeling (Rear & Front) and Im happy about it but if this ever happen to Toyota or Honda dealership they can deal with it within a week or two. Just saying. Also Im disappointed on how they wont include the Apple CarPlay into 2019 model QX50. It is a new model and every car should have this as basic Apple android connection to the car. But Infiniti decided to not include 2019 model for having Apple CarPlay. My first car was a Infiniti and my thoughts about this is if you want your customer to keep be happy and loyal into Infiniti family, a simple update to Apple CarPlay should be ok and implemented into the early version of 2019 QX50. From everything I have experience, I doubt that I will be continuing being a part of Infiniti for my next car purchase or even recommend it. I dont want my friends or my family to have the same experience that I had. PS. Infiniti could at least update the radio system to have an Apple CarPlay let any other new car in the market. Its 2019 model after all. The car looks great btw but if you have this type of issue (Paint & outdated system) I think I would reconsider purchasing a different brand for a better quality of paint and system.
I like a nut not only did I buy one Infinti (QX60) but I bought the second one, a G37. The QX60 a week after I bought the Gas gauge was reading Zero mile with a 1/4 tank of Gas. I got told it was bad gas, then I was told Im driving down hill so that affects it. Then I was told the Infiniti corporate had to assess the SUV. It took them 2 tries and they replaced the entire Gauge system. Then I had issues with the Transmission. Took it countless time and they kept saying that the software needed to be upgraded. After filing a complaint they replaced the Trans and it took over 9 months to get it done. Then I bought a G37 certified. I thought buying a certified would get me a better value and it would be reliable. It started to leak Differential fluid. Was told the Diff overheated and it leaked fluid. Then the Tires got a nail and they refused to fix them, when they said that it was covered under the maintenance. I have to say the SERVICE FROM INFINITI IS POOR AT BEST. IF YOU CALL INFINITI CONSUMER AFFAIR AND GET AMANDA HANG UP and wait the 30 days and get someone else. If you ask for a manager and Tommy. Hang up as he will give you lip service. Buy a Lexus or Acura!!!
Infiniti G35 (2005) stalled in the middle of the road during rush hour while I was taking a right turn. The car shut off. It turned back on once and I was able to pull off to the curb and had the car towed to Infiniti dealership. Fortunately, I did not get into an accident. It cost me $500 to replace it at the dealership. I had no previous warnings, the card had $60k full service done just 1.5 months prior.
This is by far the worst experience I have had at any dealership. It started off from day one, when they tried to talk me out of buying a car up north because of snow, knowing all along that their car had a ton of snow damage on it and they tried to claim it was an Arizona vehicle, which is false.Pictures of the car were not how the car was when we flew in to see the vehicle. Sales Rep Derrick had to go and check what happened to the chrome and why it was painted. Then he had the audacity to state that he told us that before we flew out there. Then why do you look surprised and have to go ask someone why the car was changed??Car had been driven almost 2K miles over what the ad stated, then they told us (after we bought the car) that it was a manager demo and was also driven back and forth from AZ to Colorado. They also voided warranty on the vehicle, and the local Infiniti dealerships would not touch the vehicle because Coulter Infiniti caused red flags because of so many errors they put in the system when doing service on the car.Sales Manager Branden ** is by far the rudest and shadiest person I have ever come across at a dealership. Under carriage of the vehicle, it looked like it went majorly off-roading, and should have over 150K miles on it, but it had 40K. Again, coming from Branden, this car is in mint condition. Do you not even clean cars you sale?Infiniti should be ashamed to have this dealership represent them.
I didn’t want for it to come to this l, but I feel like others should be warned. In Aug 2016 I leased a 2016 Q50 from Infiniti on Camelback. I love my car and planned to purchase it after the lease, up until these last couple months. In the beginning of October 2018, it started running hot and overheating, on October 24th took it into Infiniti of Scottsdale for an inspection and they gave me the all clear saying they couldn’t replicate the issue and nothing was wrong with my car after having it for 2 days. The service tech told me if it continues to call them back and bring it up.On my way home from the dealership, my car was running hot but not overheating and when I looked in the coolant reservoir, it was pretty much empty after just being filled at the dealership. I called and the service tech said to email him the photos which I did and never received a call back (it was the weekend). I continued to drive my car just adding 1/4 quart coolant, if not more, a day until the “low oil pressure, stop vehicle” light came about 8 days later (800 miles). I then had my car towed to Infiniti on Camelback where I purchased the car and had them look at it for the same issue. I was told that there was sludge in my engine and I had “lack of maintenance.”Before even being asked to provide all my receipt of oil changes, they noted on my car that there was lack of maintenance. They changed the oil at Infiniti on Camelback, still couldnt replicate the losing coolant and overheating issue and once again sent me on my way and told me to continue driving the car. Fast forward to Thanksgiving Day (4 days after getting my car back), we are driving to our families in Surprise Arizona from Chandler Arizona and about 45 minutes into the drive, I try accelerating and it doesn’t do anything. I pull into the suicide lane as I couldn’t do anything else and once the car finally hit about 20 mph the motor seized and started knocking. As it being Thanksgiving, Infiniti on Camelback is closed, we called the Infiniti towing line so they could tow the car in and we would have someone just come get us so we could still enjoy Thanksgiving. We were only quoted 90 minutes for the tow, but sat on the I10 for almost 4 and a half hour. I called Camelback the next day and spoke to the service manager. They refused to give me a loaner, and said that I would need to purchase a battery for $250 and $759 to break my car apart, before they could start the diagnostic on my car. That is ridiculously high for a battery for 1 and why am I being charged labour for something that should be under warranty?I purchase a battery from Infiniti of Peoria for $150 and self installed it. They still refused to do any diagnostic unless I paid them the $750 to break my car down. As my car in the last month had been given the all clear, and now they were saying I never did oil changes and it was my fault the motor and turbos blew. The service manager was VERY rude to me and just kept repeating “your lack of maintenance,” refusing to listen to anything else I had to say or look at any of my maintenance reports.I didn’t feel comfortable moving forward with them so I transferred my car to Infiniti of Coulter AFTER speaking with a service technician who said he “doesn’t see why warranty wouldn’t approve it because it been checked 2 times in the last month and I have all my oil records. It sound like the coolant is mixing with the oil.” He told me at first if warranty didn’t approve it, but he didn’t see why they would. It would be $350 to pay, easy, told him to go ahead. I still mind you have not had a loaner vehicle. They did the inspection and to my understand they had all my service records and submitted the claim, the claim came back asking for my photo of the top of my engine which brought the charge up to $1400. I asked him what he thought was going to happen and he said he wasn’t sure but he still didn’t feel like it would be denied. After thinking about it, I really didn’t have any other choice and said go ahead.About a week passed and I heard nothing, I called asking if I would be able to get a loaner and he said yeah I should have something Thursday [on Monday]. I said okay and we left it at that. On Thursday I called to see when the loaner would be ready and he said my claim came back denied so I wouldn’t be able to get a loaner and the price on a used engine and turbo would be $14,000 or he could find a new motor but it would be about $14000 plus my $1,400 I already owe them. I’ve called consumer affairs numerous time and escalated it due to the fact they denied it “due to the sludge being in the engine it an automatic denial for lack of maintenance of the vehicle.” Well come to find out the claim was submitted with 2 service records. Of course they would deny it! I asked the service tech to attach the records so they can reevaluate and was told “no amount of service records can change their decision.”Well come back to this week after waiting since the 23rd or December for a call back from a regional supervisor in consumer affairs, I get the call telling me there will be no other communication and that I am not only responsible for a new motor but continue to pay the lease [done on Nov 1 2019] and any damaged that will be due after turning the lease in. So after paying almost $40,000 for the car, I now will have to pay an additional $20,000 for a motor and $470 a month till November. Not only that, I’ve made 3 payment on a car that’s been sitting at Infiniti with no loaner provided, lost out on not only Thanksgiving but Christmas and New Years with my family because I had no transportation to get there. Not only that but I’ve been having to rely on rides to work or paying for Lyfts. I’ve never in my life had such a bad experience with a company. I’ve personally purchased 2 vehicles from Infiniti and in the last 3 years my dad has purchase almost 6. I was a very loyal Infiniti customer but now I will never be back to any Infiniti or Nissan dealership. I’ve spoked with 3 master techs, without even telling them what’s happened to the car just showed them the videos and photos, ever since one of them have said, “there is a leak in my head gasket and coolant is mixed with my oil.” Sludge take thousands of miles to build in an engine, not only was it taken 800 miles prior and given the all clear AT AN INFINITI DEALERSHIP but the oil was changed 3,000 miles prior, and we still have the oil from that change. Not only did this happen to my car but is now happening to multiple other Infiniti’s and has (to my knowledge in Arizona only) happened to at least 6 others who have had their motor replaced already, through warranty or paying for it themselves. Mind you, I also paid for the 3 years or 45000 miles maintenance package for $499 that Infiniti on Camelback never attached to my lease.
My 2005 Infiniti FX35 is full of bubbles right in the center of the dashboard and starting in the corner by the speaker--the VIN is **.
Ive had my FX since 2007 and Ive been a loyal customer of the service department at Clear Lake infiniti, but up until a few years ago I had to go to another location which is about an hour away from the clear lake location. This location is the worst! You are a number get in and out and when you go for just a plain oil change I ALWAYS get that I need a clue of other services that are needed. Anyway, this last time I went and got everything they told me I needed for the car like because I take what they are saying to be a fact. So, I go to look under the hood to give my husband a jump because the battery is dead and I see the air intake hose is not connected. Its sitting pretty next to the belts. I want to whack whatever idiot over there just threw the extra parts when servicing my car. This isnt the first issue Ive had, but it will be my last.
Infiniti is a great car brand that can help you get to point A to point B whether youre going with a family, solo, or cruising. They have added digital touchscreen maps to help you get the fastest and safest route their system cant think of. Also, the modes of driving fast sport or echo to save gas and help the environment and slow if you are driving in the snow. It has luxurious space for kids to relax in or if you want to go fast, enough room for the driver to feel relaxed as well as the passenger. Even space for 1-4 people. My passengers in the front and backseat have their own 2 cup holders, one in the side door and one in the middle. The seats can be adjusted to their most comfortable and safest spot.
I have a 2005 G35 Sedan and I wouldnt drive another Infiniti if they gave it to me. The CD stopped working years ago, Ive replaced brakes a thousand times, it drinks oil like water, and worst of all, the interior must be made from the worst of all leather look-alikes. The passenger door panel is pulling away and the arm rest, and sides of front seats have all split. I weigh about 106lbs so its definitely not due to heavy pressure points. Its ridiculous and everyone else I know that has one has the same issues. They are good looking cars but the quality sucks.
2012 pearl white qx56 paint started peeling December 2021. I called Infiniti and found out there was a factory recall on the paint. Recall ended in 2020. If a auto manufacturer has a known paint problem on a particular make model and color vehicle they should do the right thing and take care of it and not have to be taken to court to do so. Factory applied well maintained paint should last.
This is my first Infiniti vehicle and to say Im disappointed since owing this vehicle is an understatement. I dont think I will ever purchase Nissan or Infiniti vehicle again. The Infiniti dealership who is now in possession of my vehicle giving me the run-around as they are wanting to charge me for repair that should be covered under warranty. I purchased a Infiniti as I trusted your brand but what a mistake. Even dealing with their customer care team did not help on resolving any of the issues.
My local Infinity dealership was selling a pre-owned car. Due to Infiniti being a reputable dealership, I had confidence in purchasing a used car from them. I would not have thought that they would sell a car with a major internal flaw. I test drove the car, looked at the Carfax, and things checked out fine. I purchased the car end of February 2020. A week later, when I was trying to set up my bluetooth and stream music, this feature was not working at all. When I try to make phone calls, the system goes in and out, and I am unable to stream anything from my phone. I took it to a Ford service center (the car is a Ford CMax Hybrid), and they could not diagnose by a quick look. They recommended that since I had just bought the car, I should take it back to the dealership to have them look at it.I called Infinity, and spoke with the sales rep who sold me the car, in addition to the sales manager. They did not even want to look at the car, and tried to tell me that everything was fine when they sold me the car. They did not want to have anything to do with fixing the bluetooth issue. The sales manager basically said oh well it was sold as is. I would have expected them to tell me that this feature was not working/a system was broken, but no one shared any of this info with me. I thought a company like Infinity would not do something like this, but I was sadly wrong. On another note, it took 3 phone calls to get someone to talk to me about this. Nobody was calling me back initially, this should be telling. Now, in order to get this fixed, I will have to pay several hundred dollars that I dont have, so that I can make phone calls in my car and listen to music.
I havent had my car a year. The CD player wasnt working when I purchased it. I found out that the circuit board was defective. The dealer says it was replaced in 03 but the problem still exists. It will cost over $1200 to replace the entire thing. I feel as if I was sold a lemon due to when the 7-point inspection was done, this issue wasnt brought to my attention. Now Im stuck with a useless car and will never buy another Infiniti as long as I live.
I am a third time Infiniti buyer and third time was not the charm. My car has been in the shop 5 times in the first 14 months of ownership for brake noise. Noise which is loud enough to be heard inside the house when I enter or exit the driveway. Excuse after excuse from the dealer with no real resolution. First, it was a pin, then a hose and now a spring. I have to fight to get them to reproduce every single time. Ive been told they squeak when theyre cold then they squeak when theyre hot and finally its not a safe issue. When I opened a case with customer service, what a joke. I called 4 times now, twice spoke to the rep and twice left messages. Not a single thing done as a result of my case being opened. The quality of the interior is awful. Leather seats cracking after just a year, silver trim nicks with the slightest pressure. Every silver panel on my car has dents and scratches - looks terrible. The dealer replaced one of them as goodwill and a day later, there were already two nicks on it. The new panel is worse than the old one. I am very frustrated, I wish I had never bought this car. Buyers, beware.
Like many others with the 2003 Infiniti G35 sedan, my radio has stopped working and I have no control over my A/C. Infiniti had the voluntary recall where they fixed the issue, but of course all they did was put a band-aid on it. The original owner of my car already took it to them to be fixed so I cant even take it to them without them asking for some ridiculous amount to fix it again. If they would not have integrated the controls for the A/C and radio on the same control panel in the first place, we would not have to deal with all this crap now. Of course, calling them is useless, they avoid the issue and try to act like this doesnt happen to thousands of others with the same model. Luxury car huh? My Honda Civic never had these kinds of problems.
Infiniti has sedans, SUVs, and huge SUVs. The sedans are a bit flashy, I loved the feel of them but they made me feel old! Haha! But I had loved the Infiniti QX4 for a long time before I bought one. I was having a new baby and I wanted a safe form of transportation. My QX4 had all the fun and luxury features I was looking for - heated seats, sun roof, and a nice look to it. I loved it. It was basically a suped up pathfinder, but the colors I just loved. I had a two toned QX4 and leather interior. It lasted me a long time. When I bought the truck it was as is, no immediate personalization. But I had a few things done to it, tinted the windows and changed the interior. My truck was good for a family of four, lots of storage and room. I probably would have liked a third back seat, but then I would lose storage space.
I had water pump leaking and my warranty not cover the engine problem! Be aware of Infiniti dealer in Van Nuys!!!! They denied the repair!!!! SCAM!!!! Don’t even think to go there and be aware of the service department!!!
I leased an Infiniti JX35 on July 13, 2013. I absolutely loved the vehicle up until February of 2015. In February, I noticed the brake pedal would occasionally sink down almost to the floor when stopping. The pedal would also from time to time start sinking down when I was stopped at a traffic light or stopped In traffic. The car would start to roll if I didnt continue to apply more pressure to the pedal when I was stopped. The real concern was that the brake problem was intermittent, it didnt happen consistently. In February 2015, I took the vehicle to the dealership and they said there was a problem with the Master cylinder, so they replaced it. Upon receiving the car back, the brakes operated normally for only a week. After one week the brake problem returned. I called the dealership and they asked me to bring the car in as soon as I can, so I did in March 2015. The dealership claims they could not get the brakes to repeat this problem. I was now even communicating with the shop foreman, who said to me one time he felt something happen similar to what I was saying, but it happened only once. I went back and forth with the dealership in March. In April, they received authorization to change the ABS controller. After changing the abs controller, the brake problem appeared to be gone. The brake problem returned again in August of 2015 and again of course it is intermittent. It doesnt happen when Im stopped anymore, it just happens when Im stopping. If I dont continue to increase the pressure I apply to the brakes when they sink the car will not stop. The dealership took the car in, kept it for over a week, changed the brake pads and said they could not repeat the problem. They even told me at one time that this is the way the brakes operate on these vehicles. I immediately responded by informing them that these brakes did not operate like this the first 1 1/2 years I was driving it. My daughter drives my car frequently and she even came to me and asked me why do the brakes get so soft occasionally. I chose Infiniti because of their advertised HIGH standards of excellence. Theyre supposed to compare in quality to Lexus, Acura and Mercedes. Well, Ive owned 3 Mercedes in my lifetime and their customer service and quality is second to none. My face to face customer service experience with KM Infiniti has been good, however, they have not been able to fix the issues with my JX35. The quality of this vehicle is on the same level as a Nissan. Not only have had issues with the brakes, but Ive had the rubber gasket on the roof rack come loose, Ive had to replace the driver side sun visor.I chose this car because I wanted a car I could depend on when my grandchildren get into it. I wanted a car I could have confidence in for safety. I have just about every option available on this car and thought it would be a safe car for my family to drive in. As it stands now I am extremely dissatisfied with this car and it doesnt appear Infiniti knows how to fix it! This car is a Lemon!
I recently purchased a 2008 Infiniti G35. It was in great condition all around except for some interior paint that was coming off on the inside door handles and on the steering wheel. I figured this was from normal wear and tear and I can live with it. I could possibly fix it up later down the road. Well after having the car for about a month, I noticed that I had paint coming off in my hands when I drove to and from work. I work about 11 miles from my home, only about a 15 min drive. Not far. The paint on the inside door handles and on the steering wheel was a rubber type of back paint, and it was literally coming off in my hands most of the time when I drove. Not normal wear and tear. I did a little research on this problem and it turns out this is a known problem with 07 and 08 and it was fixed in late 08 and 09 models. Great, Ill take it in since Im still under warranty and have them fix it. Before I take it in, I called Infiniti USA, their customer service number, and talked to a lady on the phone and told her about my issue. She told me that she has seen this before. It is a known defect, and to just take it into my local dealership and they will replace the parts. I read about this online and it was the answer I was expecting so I said thanks. The next day, I drove to Tim Dahle Infiniti in Salt Lake City. When I got there, I am told that this is wear and tear and is not covered. I explained that this is not normal wear and tear and is a known defect. He says he can no longer cover this issue, and when Infiniti has done it in the past, it was under a goodwill clause where they do it only for people that have had a long history with Infiniti. The service manager recommends that I contact Infiniti USA to see if they can approve it to be done. Well, I explained that I had already contacted them and they said to just bring it in. We gave them a call again. I get a different story this time, and have to file a request to have a specialist get back to me about this issue. About a week later, I get a call saying this will not be honored or covered under the manufacturers warranty. I specifically came from an Acura TL that I had previously owned to Infiniti because of this lightly better engine specs and on the recommendation of several friends and family members that have Infiniti, but I never had an issue like this with Acura. For a $40,000 car, you would expect a car dealer to honor the warranty that they put on the car, especially for an issue that is well known and documented. They even changed the interior paint in newer models so this problem doesnt happen anymore. With plenty of records online of people having this taken care of under warranty, I find it hard to believe they can do it for some cars and not for all. I am extremely unhappy with how this had turned out. I am hoping Infiniti learns from this and will cover it eventually but well see. For now, I will not recommend Infiniti to anyone again. If anyone knows of a way to convince them to cover this, or any other advice, I would love to hear about it.
I had a JX35 (QX60), one of my worst car ever. First this SUV drive was very poor. The car HP was too weak. It drive like a 4 cylinder car on a large SUV. The electronic panel (dashboard fell off to the floor), the electric component got rusted and needed to be replaced. The prevention collision system was malfunctioning. It activated spontaneously and make my car to stopped completely while driving and even prevented me from stop while I was driving. Even with all this bad experiences I really loved my SUV, it has all the features I wanted. I was extremely comfortable, I really liked the panoramic roof, but I got the worst experienced from Infiniti, Puerto Rico. I took the car to the dealer and after a long talk and trying to get rid of my beloved SUV. I trade my JX35 for a brand new Q60 convertible... A really bad choice. The hard top one got stuck in the upright position semi opened then the car began scratching the car while the hard top was being opened, it began scratching one side and then both side. I took my car 8 time for repair, and they say the car has nothing wrong. Today my car is at the dealer for repairs again with the scratching... I really like the car overall. The driving, the handling, the motor, the interior but these two car were the worst car ever with the worst service ever. Hoping to trade this car again for an Acura or BMW or other SUV.
Infiniti is an overpriced luxury. They make minimum number of models and they all look very similar. The cars look a lot like traditional Honda or Toyota. I own a sedan and it comfortably seats 4 adults. The interior options are ok, but the styling is boring. The color choices are also very standard. The car has all the high end features but the performance of these features leaves a lot to be desired. The stereo options with Boss are nice and the nav system is offered, but the nav system performance is poor. Also, when using the car for kids, the child latch hooks are very difficult to access.
Breach of Warranty problem - Bought a 2014 QX60. After the 2g to 3g upgrade by AT&T for the Infiniti Connection we had problems for months. http://www.lemonlaw.com/pa-lemon-law.html. Contacted these people. They got it solved.
Infiniti Q50 hybrid top of the range, 4 wheel drive, active lane control, every extra on the car. Always driven SUVs found the car whilst superb to drive not to my liking, so asked if they would consider buying it back. Now I realize everybody has to make a living but they have offered me what is basically 27,000 pounds less than the car cost new! OK it has 9,000 miles on the clock so I would of expected to lose a reasonable amount. On asking different car main dealers nobody seems interested as soon as you say Infiniti. I am puzzled by this as I thought I was buying a luxury car. My question is does anyone out there know of any reason for this? And any advice on what I could do to get a few thousand more for my car? I would be very grateful.
Got this JX35 in November of 2013 and have had the following issues with less than 30k miles on the car. Door molding was falling off so it was replaced as the plastic was bowed. Both sun visors fell down and were replaced with new ones. Roof rail seals came out and when I asked the dealer to pop it back in, they told me the whole rail had to be replaced. The instrument cluster and dashboard shut down and restart while driving. And it is very noticeable at night or early morning as I have no gauges to follow in the dark. So the navigation computer was replaced but has not resolved the issue yet and the dealer doesnt know what to do with it. The transmission was very sluggish and when I asked the dealer to check I got a call that it has to be replaced and it was. Now, 5k miles later its doing it again. There have been a couple of recalls in the middle, with recalls on the recalls as the service adviser put it, so they have replaced a bunch of door latches on the car again and again. The latest one is my key. Neither key will work, so I cannot get in the car using the key-less feature and I have a very hard time starting the car even when I hold the key near the start button. The GM at the dealer claims they have informed Infiniti Corporation and I have been waiting for a response for 9 months now! In summation, if I can get in the car and get it started, I may get stuck on the road in the middle of the night with a broken transmission while not knowing where I am or which way to go because all of my instruments have stopped working. Other drivers wont help because the pieces falling off my car has damaged their car and they are angry. At this point, Infiniti is jeopardizing my life and life of others around me very frequently and without remorse. I guessing this will qualify as a lemon but have to check with a lawyer!
Ive owned my QX60 for less than three months and after less than 3k miles the bottom portion of the drivers seat no longer heats or cools, however, the back part does. I took it for warranty work to the Infiniti dealership in Silver Spring, MD and they told me that the seat immediately worked for them which I know is a lie because amazingly it didnt work after I got back in the car. They said they hooked it up to the computer and the computer showed it was working properly, however, they never showed me the computer results nor did they show me that the seat worked. In addition to the seat not working properly the rear windshield sprayer was clogged and they blamed it on the dealership who sold it to me. They unclogged it, but it still doesnt spray, it just shoots out washer fluid. Buying this vehicle was a waste of my money and I shouldve known better than to purchase another Nissan product considering I owned an Altima several years ago and the alternator went bad with only 30k miles. In addition, the CD player in the Altima would jam anytime a CD with a paper label on it was put in it. They replaced the CD changed once, but the 2nd time it happened it was out of warranty and they wouldnt replace it. Based on that I should never have purchased another Nissan product and I wont ever again. The only reason I didnt purchase an MDX is because it cost several thousand more, but it wouldve been worth paying the extra thousands because thats probably what Ill spend on the QX60 after the warranty is up.
The car had everything - sunroof, power locks, leather interior, cold air, cruise control, and a Boise system in it. The passenger capacity was great. It held two people in the front seats and three people in the back seats with no problem. It was very comfortable and had leg room not like those little compact cars. I loved that car and when I save up enough money I am thinking about buying another one because that car was worth the money I paid for it. It was sporty and luxury all roll up in one car. And it drives so good. I couldnt believe it. I would be more than happy to own another one.
The steering on this car randomly starts turning left and sometimes right. It is NOT an alignment issue, the car literally makes a left turn if I do not hold on tight to the steering wheel. If I do let go, it will turn left across the highway just as if I turned the steering wheel to make a left turn. A few times the power steering has gone out altogether and that was very scary (if an auto-turning car isnt scary enough). The problem, though regular, is intermittent and the 6 or 7 times I have taken it to Infiniti, they have been unable to duplicate the problem. I have shown them multiple self-shot videos of the car turning by itself but they claim the car is working as designed and will do nothing about it. This IS A KNOWN issue and many others are complaining of the exact or similar issues with this car but it is clear that Infiniti chooses to wait for a few deaths or a class action suit before they do anything. This is my 4th and final Infiniti. I just want them to buy the car back because they obviously do not know why it is happening and they refuse a buyback, claiming the car is operating as designed. Its unimaginable to me since I feel my life is in imminent danger every time I drive it. Infiniti is a BAD company! I thought they were good but they are not. They are fine if everything goes well but when you need them to back their product, they do not. I paid $54,000 for this car, it only has 6K miles on it and it has been in the shop about 7 times and will go back when it starts doing it again. I can only hope I can get it there while the problem is happening because Infiniti is clearly denying the existence of any problem. I feel SO ripped off by this sleazeball company. 54 grand and Im totally screwed! I have contacted an attorney and they will pursue it but I also want Infiniti to pay the price by EVERYONE knowing what a scumbag company they really are. They would rather me die than get my dangerous car off the road. The problem still exists and likely will not go away and neither will I. Stay away from Infiniti!
My 2007 FX35, which only has 50K miles on it, has several cracks on the vinyl part. Per Infiniti dealer, it’s a wear and tear problem. How would a luxury car seat wear just around 40-50K miles on it! I noticed online that it’s a common problem and mainly for the brick color. They need to recall this cheap vinyl, and replace it regardless of warranty.
In April 2014 I leased a brand new Infiniti Q 50 for 3 years (39 months). During the lease I maintained and serviced my Infiniti Q 50 exclusively at the Infiniti dealership where I purchased it. At approximately 24,000 miles I replaced all four tires. In June 2017 I turned in my vehicle, One month early and with 35994 miles, 3000 less miles than I could have used. I had the salesman who had sold me the car look at it and he thought it was in very good condition. I had never been in an accident with it or run into anything. I read the excessive wear and use explanation and thoroughly went through the car myself. The only thing I found was road rash on one of the tire rims, and a very small dent (a quarter) on one of the doors. No paint was missing/damaged.Later that week I asked my service personnel to retrieve a copy of the inspection on the car. I received it and waited for my final statement. I was not purchasing another Infiniti or having another lease. I think this is noteworthy. I immediately sent a check for my last months lease payment and the disposition fee and tax totaling $824.19. This statement from the actual inspection state chargeable and non-chargeable items. In the chargeable item column the curb rash $55, Front bumper $80, and right front door no paint needed $88. Totaling $223. Non-chargeable damage included the hood at $116 and the rear bumper $10. They noted all the tires were OK. Total for all damage was $349.When I received my statement from Infiniti their itemized wear and use was $1132 plus 6% tax 67.92 = $1192.92. They are charging me for wear and use on both rear tires which have less than 12,000 miles on them, scratches on the front bumper and the wheel (this charge is the only one thats exactly like the estimate that the third-party inspection gave $55). Theyre even charging me for a manual that I personally checked and was there $15 Ive never even taken it out of the car. All the charges except for the wheel are massively inflated and I feel like Im being taken advantage of because I didnt buy a new car from them or lease another vehicle. I would be willing to pay the $349 from the original inspection which is probably fair. Please help me. Ive called them, spoken to supervisor, emailed them my copy and I never heard back from them. Now its almost time for the money to be due and Ive been messing around with this for two months.
I am the sad owner of a 2003 Infiniti FX35. I have had so many problems with the car and I will never ever even consider buying another Nissan product. My problems consisted of a non-working gas gauge, a CD player that skipped like crazy from the start of my ownership, replaced both front end wheel bearings, replaced the brakes twice and now the final overheating. No one including Infiniti of Orland Park who charged me $700.00 for a new after market radiator can figure out the problem. After a diagnostic, technician from Infiniti of Orland Park, IL; said, I need a radiator. I was told an Infiniti radiator would cost me $1200.00 but they can replace my defective one with an after market radiator for only $750.00. I elected to have them replace the radiator with the after market one. After their Technician replaced the (defective?) radiator with the new after market radiator, I received a call from their service writer and he said that the car was still overheating and blowing out cold air.I was told by Infiniti of Orland Park Pros that it would take at least 5 hours of additional labor to figure out the problem. In other words, the attitude was come in and pay us $750.00 for nothing and get your FX35 Infiniti out of here. He also suggested the cars life was over due to the 130,000 miles I had on it.In the mean time I have been driving my beater (183,000 Mile) Ford Expedition that I was forced to buy so that I had a car while 3 auto shops are trying to figure out whats wrong with my very expensive FX35 with the 130,000 miles on it. I am a Sales Trainer for a major Mattress Company and travel throughout the USA educating large groups of Sales Associates. There is not one class that I do not tell this story to. I am and will warn everyone I ever speak to about Infiniti and tell them to never buy or even suggest one to their worst enemy.
I own a used 2003 Infiniti G35, unlike many of the other problems people have posted about the newer Infinitis breaking down, this ones a little different. I am truly sorry that so many people have had so many problems with this car company, I mean look at their rating. I am giving 2 stars ONLY because before this I really havent had many issues with the car besides for regular maintenance. About a week ago my car started to stall out on me, the steering wheel would lock up and my dash slip and VDC off lights would come on. It would also be a challenge to get it restarted, a few minutes setting did the trick. The first time it stalled was on the highway, which was extremely scary and luckily I was in the right-hand lane and able to pull over to the side of the road. The reason for this review is because I brought my car to my local mechanic as quick as I could, he checked it out and told me I needed both of my Camshaft sensors replaced. A whopping $792.60, mind you I am 23 years old, thats a lot of money to me. Its a lot of money to most people. I did some research and found out that The 2003-2008 Infiniti G35 models were SAFETY recalled for these exact sensors. So I thought to myself how great it was that I could bring it into an Infiniti shop to have it fixed for nothing, since it is a SAFETY recall, and there are no time limits on getting a car fixed for SAFETY recalls. Apparently I was informed that the sensors for my car were discontinued 5 years ago, which was 2010, meaning only 7 years later did they stop fixing this particular safety recall. I was told that they could not work on my car because they could not get the INFINITI sensors and they could not work on my car with the aftermarket sensors. That is ridiculous, what if someone rear-ended me at 70 mph on the highway and killed me because my car stalled and died? Have people been injured by this before? Do owners of Infinitis of certain ages not matter anymore? Do they only care about the people spending 40 and 50 grand on the 2014 and 15s? I have called and was told that my car is no longer under warranty, obviously, I knew that. But like I said earlier SAFETY RECALLS do not have expiration dates because they put peoples lives in danger. So I had to pay the $792.60 bill to my mechanic for something Infiniti couldve (shouldve) fixed for free. I have an open case for a call this Monday to see if they can reimburse me my almost 800 bucks for something which was out of my control. I was told it was highly unlikely because of my vehicles age. I would AT LEAST like to get reimbursed my 389 dollars for the parts. If I do not get reimbursed I am going to put a story about this into my local news station who specializes in things like these. Maybe theyll take interest and put Infiniti on blast to the world. How many people have they done this to? Have people been killed or injured because of them not fixing this SAFETY DEFECT? Not every 23-year old has $800 to fix their car and could take it from the mechanic without being fixed only to have it die again and may seriously injure them. This is completely irresponsible. Based on the companys rating on this site Im sure these complaints arent uncommon.
I love Infinitis. They run well, comfortable, and are stylish no matter what year or model. They have something for every taste and are not prone to a lot of mechanical issues and gas efficient. Its a compact car with the feel of a luxury sedan heated seats. It has a backup camera, tinted windows, a bose sound system and a decent sized trunk. The front seats are comfortable and the back seat sits three people. It also has beige leather seats with back seat storage. The newer models have other nice upgrades, but I like the factory features that are in my car.
I have leased a few Infinities and the car is Definitely not the quality of car it used to be. My last was a Q40. Nice looking cars, but they obviously are putting it together cheaply. Their batteries are from Hunger. My car wasnt even 6 months old when the battery started to go. I had to call AAA to charge me up so I could get home and sometimes I couldnt even go to work in the morning because my battery was dead. I brought car back to dealership and spent hours waiting for them to go over car. They told me they could find nothing wrong but gave me a new battery anyhow. That new battery lasted 2 months. So obviously its a piece of junk. I eventually had to go and buy a battery myself elsewhere To get one that worked. Same thing happened on both cars. So I was paying good money but for a very unreliable car. After my first bad experience I didnt want to get another Infiniti but my salesman insisted that car was a fluke, a lemon and it would never happen again. So like a fool I got another one only to end up with the same heartache again. You expect when you get a new car it should be good for at least the 1st few years, Not Infinity, you are lucky when you get 6 good months. Now my last lease has recently ended and I got a different car, thank God. So to get back at me for not leaving another Infinity they sent me a huge bill over 1000 dollars of trumped up charges.400 to pay for the transport of the car, when the car was brought back to the place I got it at Douglas Infinity. You would think that would be the end of it, but now they are hitting me with over $1000 bill for made up nonsense and threatening to ruin my credit if I dont pay up. The few scratches on my car from normal wear and tear, unlike most companies they are hitting me big and demanding payment in full. This is not someone you want to do business with. No $500 for normal wear and tear allowance. Very rude when I tried to discuss it with them because I felt they were Definitely trying to take advantage of me. They think they have you over a barrel because they will report you to the credit unions.I feel like I am being robbed, and its not a nice feeling. So this is how they take care of loyal customers who went through Hell because of their poor quality car, never gave them grief when I should have. You dont want to do business with people like this. I called my salesman up to see if he could help, but they dont want to know you unless they can RIP you off again. He will call me back he said last week, Im not holding my breath. Im sorry Im not the type of person to complain, but I felt it my duty to warn others. These cars have problems. My daughters boyfriend has one too and hes had a lot of issues with his also and wont be getting another. Hes a lawyer, I guess Ill be calling him for advice. There are several other brands of lovely cars. You dont need this headache.
Theres a lot to like about the entire Infiniti line: its always been a combination of performance, quality and luxury. My Q50 4-door is my fourth, although the first three were the G37s and the Q60 sport models. And until now, I dont remember ever having any problem whatsoever. Until now. So Ill dispense with further platitudes and go right to the issues. It wont drive in a straight line and Ive been told that this is a function of steer-by-wire. Seriously? They did this on purpose? Driving around town you cant tell but as soon as you hit a straight on a highway, you become aware, because the car constantly drifts either right or left, which requires making a steering adjustment every few seconds. (And no, it isnt the wheel alignment.) On a long drive this is fatiguing in the arms and in your head. You cant relax. Ever! Also, having a car that constantly drifts is just plain dangerous. I have another appointment with my local service dept but I dont have high hopes.Theyve over complicated the NAV/audio display systems. Controls for the NAV system are in 3 different places. The USB (my primary music listening) display system wont perform the simplest tasks properly, either manually or by speech (which is a total fail). I live in south Florida, where you have to be afraid of the drivers around you. I dont have the luxury of taking my eyes off the road to try and figure out how to make things work.Infinitis Consumer Affairs Dept has been less than useless in these matters. The first person they assigned to my case, some regional manager named Shala, didnt return my many calls and when I finally caught up with her and explained my situation, she never followed up. (I complained about Shala but no one followed up on my complaint.) The second person, someone named Amanda, said that the car was performing within its design parameters. Again... less than useless. So this is the current state of affairs with Infiniti Customer (Consumer) Affairs. They dont care.Of the various drive modes, I prefer the Sport setting, as it tightens up the steering and the suspension but there is no way to permanently set it. It requires an adjustment every time you start the car. Gas mileage around town is an abysmal 15 mpg and I do not hot rod the car. (In all fairness, it does get 31 mpg on the highway, even without Eco mode.) Theyve done away with the warning buzzer for the rear camera, making using the camera problematic. You have video but you have to guess how close you are to things youre backing up against. And finally, I use the auto seat adjusts for driving and exit positions and sometimes when Im getting out, it resets itself to the driving position, catching me in between. Ouch! My 2011 Q60 sport was the best car I ever had. I should have bought it when the leaser came due. This Q50? Meh!
Infiniti produces a good variety of nice car models. They make coupes, sedans, crossovers, and SUVs. I have had a good experience with my car and I would recommend Infiniti. Its a very reliable car. My car is a four-door SUV with stitched leather seats and can seat up to five people in two rows of seats. This car is nice if you carpool or have a small family. I wish there was a little more room though.. The seats are very comfortable and it has the option of including All Wheel Drive. I would recommend getting All Wheel Drive if you plan to go off-roading or live where it snows.
I purchased a brand new Infiniti QX60 in October 2013. The car started shuttering and slipping gears after a month. They replaced the transmission in November, and we just broke down on the highway AGAIN, with 3 kids and a dog in the car on the highway. They are now putting ANOTHER transmission in. This is the worst car I have ever bought AND the most expensive!!
I purchased a used 2004 G35 Coupe about a year ago. Just found it on a lot and loved the look and it had extremely low miles. It looks and rides fabulous. It’s got a lot of go when you need it. For a 6 cup anyway. Got rear ended and not a scratch. The front end got clipped at an intersection and Im amazed at how little damage there was. Seems to be a really well built vehicle. I’d love to get a newer model, but acted pricey for my budget. Maybe someday.
I bought a ‘05 G35 coupe in 2009 as a preown. From the very beginning, I had issues with that car. First, the engine knocked and started to eat oil more. Gas got replaced. Just after that the moon-roof broke. The dealer tried to make me pay $2000 to fix it while the car was still on warranty. Now the air bag light is blinking. Just to get it checked they asked me $300. They tried to change belts that have 30k on then and my clutch that got wet after 30k (supposedly due to the way I drive) just for that another $2000. They are out of their minds. People, please do not buy that **. It’s over-priced and just a garbage. I was in love with Infiniti. Now I hate myself for spending that ton of money on a car that’s ** and has problems with everything (alignment since new, radio, moon-roof, airbag light flashing, clutch not being able to switch gears, loud engine even being replaced). I don’t know what to say. I hate dealers. They are a bunch of legal criminals that will suck 100 times more money then the repair really cost. And service—what’s that? Buy Infiniti, it means no service. I’m getting a ride off that car and I will never come back to that company.
Have 4 yr old M37X. Service regularly at Infiniti dealer purchased vehicle. Headlamp seal broke down with water entering headlamp. No damage at all to headlamp. Infiniti service department said very rare, but $2000 for new lamp. Nearly 5% of cost of car. Service department agreed ridiculous as suggested filing claim with Infiniti (did) or go to body shop whod resell for $300. Filed claim, Infiniti said on your own. Claim details referenced and service agent not even correct. Lost customer - service and new purchase.
The appearance is attractive and classy and has all features you desire. They have more advanced technology upon request and the look is of luxury for sure. The passenger capacity is more than sufficient if you have large groups or simply just have a lot of cargo. Either way the Q60 meets the challenge while still looking good. Upgrade and personalization options are a matter of personal choice. Great color selection, GPS, entertainment and whatever else your heart desires. Superb performance and amazing comfort. As a high-performance choice I suggest it.
I was very happy with my car. The Q series has amazing options and amazing quality. It has power windows, locks, and seats. It also has heated seats, mirrors, touch screen navigation, touch screen radio, cruise control, excellent quality leather interior, back up camera, and TVs in rear. It is fully loaded but every option for upgrade is available. It also has big quiet motor and excellent factory warranty. It can accommodate 5 people comfortably. It has lots of leg room and very large trunk. Baby seats fix well, too and so do tall people. I love all the space. I would recommend this type of vehicles to anybody.
I went to lease my 2nd Infiniti and ended paying much higher than what they advertised. They will try to sell you overpriced maintenance plan to collect more profit. Although they say they are transparent but actually. I feel I was mislead into paying out than I originally planned. Be very careful dealing with this dealership. I will NOT recommend anyone buying or leasing from this dealership.
I got an amazing car and service. They have a wide range of models from sporty to family cars and they have great features as well. And they look great on the outside and inside. I have a midsize sedan and its fully loaded. I have the available features it came with and its amazing enough. Its a beautiful black car with sunroof and push auto start with navigation. Its also great on gas and is very spacious with leather seats. The seats warm up as well and sits enough people for me. My family is a family of four and its good to have enough room. Its also comfortable. And I have wireless phone and can make calls without using my phone. Its Bluetooth connected!
I have had my Infiniti convertible in for service 4 times now due to the cables breaking when opening and closing the top. The most recent repair was today after I opened the top for the first time this year. The dealership explains the problem to me and how this is unique. But each time the cause is something different (broken clips, sync issue...). But now the car is out of warranty and it will be my responsibility if it happens again. Trust me when I say, It will happen again. The cable design is not a good engineering solution for moving a heavy hood. Probably why the auto makers do not implement it. Each of my last three cars have been convertibles. I love them but never again will it be an Infiniti.
I purchased a G37 2012 from Carmax and it had 33k miles on it. I have had it a couple years now, always got oil changes on it/maintained it. I’ve never had an issue with this car before - not should I have. It’s got under 100k miles on it. The other day it starts misfiring. I take it to my local mechanic. He sees it needs spark plugs and a fuel injector. Replacing those. Car is still misfiring so the mechanic shop offers to take it to the dealership for diagnosis, on them. INFINITI calls me today and says the motor is bad. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! That’s $10k job that’s not covered under warranty. I owe $13k on this car. What a piece of ** car. I would never buy this brand ever!!! I can’t believe this company exists making such shoddy products and it should be illegal!!!
Purchased a 2020 QX50 and its already been towed twice because it simply would not start. In both cases the car was in a safe place however, I was without a vehicle. Infiniti services scheduled the tows. The first tow took over a day to pick up the car. The second time the tow took over 2 days to be picked up. The AutoStart had be replaced....in a 2020 vehicle. I classify Infiniti as a luxury vehicle and with that expect a reliable vehicle and attention to the customer experience. I give Infiniti a ZERO on both ratings.
I am so disappointed in Infiniti and how they treat loyal customers who spends thousands of hard earned money with this brand. I have a 2017 Q50 with just about 11K miles on it that has issues every month. They refuse to help me, and denied my buy back request. Stay away from this company and those horrible Q50s.
I have had an issue with my lease. I went to INFINITI OF RIVERSIDE and the car salesman was Tahir **. The salesman was completely dishonest and did not do anything he promised to do. I inquired about a lease since my lease was coming to an end. He continued to text me the same day and insisted I go in that very day in order to get a deal. Upon going in to look at the cars I told him I would like to return after speaking with my prior leasing company to make sure that I had all my numbers in order. I told him that I usually go with a Broker and he insisted that he was also a broker and that he can get the same deals. I then told him I was not looking to put any money down at the moment that why I didnt want to get the car that very day. He insisted we go on a test drive and we did. I didnt like vehicles color so I insisted I would come back later. He then told me that if we leased the car that day that Infiniti would take care of all the remaining payments, damage fees, and disposition fees. It sounded good but I still had a budget I wanted to stay under. The budget was that of 400.00. He then said that if we got it that day he would be able to do everything, take my old car that day and that he would take care of everything to return it, pay any fees, and I wouldnt have to worry about anything. All he said was that he would need a down payment in order to make the deal. Originally not wanting a down payment I figured if everything was going to be taken care of then it wasnt a bad deal for a 2 year lease. So I decided to try out Infiniti and so far it has been a horrible experience! He told me I could only get a 3 year lease, then he said for the down payment I would have to write out a blank check for 1,600 as the down payment. He never called Lexus to make sure they came to check the car I had to do that. I have been having to deal with Lexus since not everything has been paid off! So now I still owe Lexus upwards of $600 and I have a higher payment on my Infiniti lease because it was going to be a little higher in order to cover any cost. This is the worst car buying experience I have ever experienced and will be glad to return this car and never do business with a shady company like this! I have tried contacting Ali and all he said was that I should take car of it on my own now. And he stopped responding to me.
This is what we sent Infiniti in Aug. after yet another repair in 2 years. My car is a lemon. Since purchasing it 2 years ago, it has been in to have the brakes looked at & repaired at least 7 times! We first had the dealership that we purchased it from look at them right after we bought it in 2011 & have since had the Infiniti dealership in town work on the brakes 6 times! 10/29/2011, 1/11/2012, 4/17/2012, 5/24/2012, 10/24/2012 & recently. We want OUT of this car! The brakes were not the only problem with this car. We had the dash replaced, the rear end was replaced due to a defect which has to be addressed every 40k miles, the windshield wipers do not last past a year, the cruise control doesnt work, the air conditioning was blowing hot air, the car would lose traction in the rain etc., etc., etc. The list is so long. We just heard back from Infiniti about getting out of this car and into a new one, since the dealership says that these problems are unusual and Infiniti said that they will not do anything about this car because it is out of warranty (It has 70k miles on it). We really anticipated them realizing this car is a lemon and should not be on the road since it is a safety issue having a faulty brake system. This is the worst experience we have ever had with a car and the local dealership (there is only 1 in town) and now Infiniti itself! The car is messing up again (the engine is dragging and the gas mileage has dropped which is usually the sign we get when the brakes are going again) and it was only in to get serviced 2 months ago. Hate that the only option here is a lawsuit!
My car was stolen. The insurance company sent to Infiniti more than the car was worth and refuses to give any money back, even though I put a large downpayment. Horrible company!! Thieves!! Everyone knows a car depreciates as soon as you drive it off the lot. Do not lease through Infiniti ever.
2006 Infiniti stalled on highway. No power steering No power brakes. I barely just missed getting into a serious accident... got the car to the breakdown lane. The most horrifying experience. Infiniti will not fix this problem. Infiniti stinks!
I was stranded on the side of the road waiting for a tow for 8 hours without food or water due to Infinitis ignorance and lack of communication. Both myself and my wife missed work. When I started making phone calls to corporate and road side assistance all I received was the famous we are sorry speech. No one ever asked me what we could do to make this right. I have been leasing from Nissan Infiniti for the last 13 years and, this is how I get treated. Nissan Infiniti definitely lost me as a customer when my current lease expires.
I, too, own a 2003 G-35 and have had the expense of $670 to change out the radio circuit board. The repair shop tried to go through Infiniti but my VIN was outside of the range of the recalled vehicles. I think it is ridiculous that with the volume of complaints, Infiniti only chooses to replace a few. The problem was not limited to this specific range of vehicles as can be seen in the many message boards that continue to be the voice of many dissatisfied consumers. I really want Infiniti to make it right with the people who purchased their product and now, have had to be out the expense of the repairs. I really loved this car and would have been an Infiniti customer for life but this is just too much for anyone to just accept. Stand by your products and reimburse people for the money they have had to spend to fix this problem in order to be able to operate their vehicles safely!
I have a 2003 G35, on all four doors, and the inside leather is coming off. What to do about this?
My Nissan Infiniti is fifteen years old and still performs miraculously. Great gas mileage, and rarely requires repairs. Its also quite classy in appearance. Has taken me on lengthy road trips without a hitch.
After being informed that there was an extended warranty issued and Infiniti would fix my dashboard, I called, the representative told me to get a work order from the dealer and it would be taken care of. I got the work order and called Infiniti Consumers back. I spoke with a different representative and he said he would open a case and I should receive a call from someone within two business days. He also noted that he seriously doubted that they would do anything because the warranty expired in November 2012. I received a call that same evening. Of course they told me the same thing he said. I was told that they sent out letters from their office to many address on file. Which she couldnt give to me. That was strange. My address should have been updated in their system since I frequent the Infiniti Dealer for regular maintenance. I was also surprised that this was never brought to my attention by the Dealership. For Infiniti to be luxury automotive dealer, they dont value the relationships of their customers. I was never notified of this cosmetic issue and did not receive adequate details on why. This had really upset me.
I love my Infiniti. There is plenty of easy access to great seat belts and tinted windows. The car has a very long life for its battery. You receive a couple year warranty. The car lives up to all internal an external expectations. The quality of each accessory of the car and its internal parts speak very high of the car industry in general. You can fit 2-6 people in this car comfortably. Lots and lots of leg room and each seat is heated when its cold and cool to the touch when its hot out. The safety features rank 1 in the future car industry. Lexus, Audi, Buick cars that I felt would live up to my expectations of cars in the future didnt make or meet my approval.
I purchased a QX56 which is their most expensive SUV. The lights started to fog up after it rained or snowed, so I took it to our local Nissan dealer who told me they would not do the warranty work because I did not purchase the vehicle from them. I called Infiniti and asked what my options were. After 3 calls and 54 minutes on the phone, they told me to go to another Infiniti dealer which is a 12-hour drive door to door or pay cash to have the local Nissan/Infiniti dealer do the work and submit the receipts for reimbursement to Infiniti Canada, who then will decide after the work is done whether they will cover the headlights ($1200 each). I should have bought a GM or Ford product!
I am an owner of a 2008 EX35 journey. I really like the car but Im having a difficult time understanding why the dashboard is cracking. I always thought that infiniti had a reputation of high quality and Im very disappointed to know that they wont even consider replacing my dashboard. What I did learn from this experience is that I would not consider purchasing another infiniti.
My 2003 G35 Coupe has had numerous issues. I purchased this vehicle in 05 with 21,000 miles and immediately noticed a break recall. Thankfully dealership handled that, however that should have been a telltale sign. After the two motors went out on my windows, alternator, cam shafts, sun roof off track, AC compressor, DR2 headlights ($210/each). Ive finally experience the ultimate issue when my GPS/AC/radio unit went out. Well sort of. The navigation and radio systems are both powered off and the AC unit is always on high. Besides paying $2000 extra just because I wanted the navigation system, I am now averaging about 14 mpg thanks to my uncontrollable AC unit. After paying $29,000 for my car and now not having the expendable cash to maintain my vehicle. There it sits while the paint job oxidation is progressing. Infiniti if youre out there PLEASE REDEEM YOURSELVES AND MY FAITH AND PIMP MY RIDE.
I bought a Q50s 4 months ago. Ive had problems with stereo since day 1. Infiniti said there would be a fix any day now. My dealership said its a common problem with this car. Infiniti set me up with my own account representative. She agreed its been a problem. She then told me that infiniti would make 2 car payments for my inconvenience. A few weeks later I received a call that it wasnt approved and I could get a $300 service credit. How can infiniti still sell a car that has a known problem?
The timing chain went on my car nearly $5000 worth of work and parts to fix. My very helpful garage (Lia Infiniti) said to call Infiniti consumer affairs to ask for their help, as it is a known problem, with this specific recall notice (I knew nothing until car went wrong) with the QX56 model and my car was still fairly new with very low mileage. My car happened to not have a recall on its Vin number but the fault still happened. Because of this and out of its warranty when I bought it they wiped their hands of it. Pretty disgusted with Infiniti consumer affairs as this is a well known problem and even had recalls on this issue. I would never buy another Infiniti purely because of this. The Lia Infiniti garage I used had excellent customer care and tried everything to get it down in price.
We just bought the Infiniti QX60- It was important that we could access the third row with having car seats installed. Dealer assured you could and it was a huge selling point for this car (even showed us Youtube videos). Turns out, only certain car seats work with this feature and only until the child is 40 pounds (this feature doesnt work with seat belt installation). Dealer lied to us but Infiniti wont do anything as they say its not a defect, even though clearly false advertising. Dealer told us to use a booster seat (for a 2 year old) to solve our problem. Worst car experience ever.
I contacted Infiniti Complaints from 2007-until 2014 about cracking dash G35. I was always told it was not a recall issue. As of 2014 finding out other Infiniti dash boards are being recalled, I called again and demanded that they give me a complaints ID #. My car has been garaged both at home and at work. They are turning a blind eye that many consumers are having problems with their dash boards and have nowhere to turn. When a consumer calls, all of us should have had #s issued years ago as this left no record. I would have bought another with better service.
I have changed my car battery 3-4 times for the past 7month. My battery kept dying and if a car (G35/03) is not in use for one day, the car wont start! The A/C starts on its own to the max and it doesnt allow me to stop it. The radio doesnt work at all and CDs got stuck in the CD player for almost one year.I have read other forums which surprisingly, other people had same issues. Therefore, I am urging the Customer Affairs to please, please take this matter seriously since the battery drainage is connected to the wires. You can imagine if something goes wrong with the wires, what would happen to the driver? This is a safety issue. The Miller Infiniti dealership told me that the stereo system is an Infiniti issue and they knew about it. Im quite surprised that the manufacturer knows about the wiring issue and still failed to do something about it or make a recall. There are many costumers that were told that the battery drain is a result of amplifier and radio wires.
Since first week of ownership, Crossover SUV (JX35) has been in the shop at least 20 times, last time for 30 days. Multiple Electrical issues, Gas tank issues, Transmission slipping, Key Fobs replaced and reprogrammed 2x, Window disconnected, DVD Headrest and Entertainment issues 2x replaced, Stereo system replaced twice, New bluetooth and microphone 3 times, All cameras had to be realigned after failing 3 times, Stereo changes channels on its own, Car found running in a parking lot, 3 times back gate lifted on its own, once car was found off but jamming out to heavy metal on XM radio -- when no channels were ever created (I was not in the car), brakes squealing and rumbling at 15 k miles. Have to turn car off and back on at stop lights to make stereo system work. Navigation system issues, Weather system issues. Only maintains 16-17 mpg even on long road trips. Twice Consumer Affairs/complaints contacted. First corporate person had two pages of notes while riding for 2 hours together. Now new person assigned. Said car was fine. This is a top-of-the-line $58,000 Crossover. I purchased May 2013. It has 19 k miles.
Hi, angry and disappointed Infiniti customer here. I purchased my 2004 Infiniti Fx35 back in 2011. I was very happy with my vehicle until I came back from boot camp. U.S Marines and noticed that my dashboard was bubbling up all over. It look ugly. I feel embarrassed to give people rides. I dont like this car anymore. I did some research about this, and found out that I was not alone. There are hundreds of Infiniti customers who are on the same boat as I am. Most of them took advantage of the extended warranty, which I did not know anything about, did not receive a letter, was not notified until it was already too late.I called my dealership where I bought the vehicle, and they simply said I needed to pay a little over $1,000 to have it replaced. Thats ridiculous! And a little crazy. Like I mentioned above, I am not a happy customer. Called the Infiniti customer affairs number, and they were not willing to help with this matter issue. Case closed. Im screwed.
After having to hire a lawyer and constant dismissal from the dealership and Nissan North America we went to arbitration and won. In fact Nissan did not even show up for the hearing and called half way through the proceedings to offer to purchase back or vehicle at full price. It was ridiculous we had to go that far with them! For anyone else having shuddering, transmission problems I would recommend keeping at them. They know something is wrong with the car that is way they settled. We were awarded full price plus 3000. Towards legal fees under the California lemon law.
Today I was driving (fortunately only 20-25 mph) and when coming to a bend in the road before going uphill, my steering wheel locked and would not move at all! It caused me to go up onto the sidewalk and when the steering wheel finally went loose so I could turn it again (after wiggling it side to side as hard as I could it somehow released), but it was too late as I couldnt get the car turned fast enough so I crashed into an iron fence. There is significant damage to the fence and my car may be totaled. I am sharing my story because I dont ever want someone else to have this happen to them and end up getting hurt or hurting someone else. It was horrible to not have any control of the vehicle and not be able to do anything about it.
Nissan Infiniti has many features like lane assistant when you get off a lane, and has a nine inch touchscreen with Android auto to control stuff you normally do on your Android phone like Google maps, YouTube, take calls and etc. It is touchscreen so you can fill it with all kinds of widgets from the play store. It takes very little gasoline and is the fastest most reliable car. It also has active wipers in bad weather and self parking assistance. You can personalize the dashboard at the front of the vehicle. The seats covers can be changed into aftermarket ones. And the tires are customizable like always. The user capacity is the same like any other four door sedan. Mostly three or four can fit in the back and a person in the front passenger seat. The driver seat and the passenger seats have more dedicated foot room.
