The high-riding prancing horse is the successor to the GTC4 Lusso and packs a newly developed V-12 engine good for 715 hp. Pagani Utopia Pagani revealed its successor to the Huayra, and the design is sure to be polarizing. What's hard not to love, though, is the car's powertrain, a twin-turbocharged V-12 that generates 852 hp and can be paired with a manual transmission. 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse Ford's revealed its redesigned 2024 Mustang this week. While the design followed a familiar path, there are still plenty of surprises, one of them being the new Dark Horse performance series containing track-focused variants. 2023 Chrysler 300C A new 2023 Chrysler 300C was also revealed this week. The nameplate is back for 2023 and 2023 only, and production will be capped to just 2,200 units. 2024 Subaru Crosstrek (Japan spec) We also saw the covers come off the redesigned 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. I bought a new 2016 Ford Edge in April 2016. Something that should have been an exciting and happy experience has turned into nothing more than a nightmare. I bought 2013 Vista car in Oct. 2015. 25,000 miles, it lasted 1 yr. One yr. later 10-20-2016 took Manteca Ford service, told me it needs a clutch. No car 6 days. Oct. 20 back in shop, Dec. 20, back in shop. March 16, back in shop. March 20 back in shop, they said throttle $100.00. March 22 back in the shop. March 28 back in the shop. Picked car up March 31 2017, told me needed a new battery. Didnt want them to put battery. This is the same problem, I had in Oct., Dec., March. Engine light came on while driving. Vehicle began making a thrashing type noise and losing speed. I had to drive home with my emergency lights on. Real slow. I will never buy a Ford car again. Service dept. dont know what theyre doing. I leased a 2017 Fusion Energi in late December. About three weeks ago, I found the battery completely dead. After jumping the vehicle, I took it to the dealership (521 miles on the vehicle). After numerous discussions with the dealership, as well as Ford Customer support, I have been told that the part is back ordered with no delivery date identified. In the meantime, I have to continue making the payments, etc. while I wait for a resolution. Ford has offered no options related to this situation other than to wait for the part which, as I state, has no delivery date associated with it. The customer service follow-through post purchase is nothing short of terrible. If you are considering purchasing a Ford product, I encourage you to reconsider. I know this is the last Ford product I will ever purchase.

Thousands of customers have experienced problems with changing spark plugs. Changing spark plugs should be a simple maintenance job. Thousands of people including myself have had their spark plugs break and get stuck in the cylinder head. Ford settled a class action suit because of the defective spark plugs, but the majority of those affected by this problem never saw a dime. Now the consumer is stuck footing the bills for what should have been Fords responsibility. Ford charges $600 to change the spark plugs, and if they break, thats considered the customers problem and costs more money. Often the broken plugs cannot be removed and the customer has to buy all new heads. This problem is affecting thousands of Ford owners, who are unknowing about the problem until they are stuck with broken plugs. This should be Fords responsibility to fix, not on the consumer!!!

As if this 2020 hasn’t been awful enough, Lincoln/Ford has now been doing their part to bury what little is left of the year. I’ve been trying for nearly 4 months to get into another Lincoln, which would be my 4th consecutive Lincoln/Ford, but I’ve had nothing nightmare-after-nightmare unfold. I’ve actively reached out to the dealer and the individual that I have purchased my current lease through and either haven’t gotten responses or have been getting sky-high pricing. I’ve reached out to at least 20 dealers across the states of NY/NJ/PA and I’ve been met with ridiculous/oppressive pricing and dealers not willing to even discuss pricing. I have the GM of Causeway Lincoln, Dave ** telling me he won’t even talk to me (and this is the first time I’ve reached out to them, so not like there is a bad history). Imagine this lunacy when trying to give people business? Now Lincoln is telling me that if I don’t get another vehicle, which I’ve been trying to do for months, that I will be penalized many hundreds of dollars. This is how they treat the loyalty that I’ve given, the money that I’ve spent, and the referrals that I’ve brought them. They’ve told me to buy more or get penalized. This has not only soured my time with the dealers, but with the brand as a whole. Clearly they have gone into the business of confiscation, not customer service.

This is dangerous; they should not be breaking. The left front tire blew out when I was backing out of the garage. When I removed the tire, I noticed that the coil spring had broken, leaving a jagged edge. The edge ripped out the sidewall of the tire (a fairly new studded snow tire that will be expensive to replace).

My overall experience is very great with this Mercury Mariner. I live in the northeast and I havent gotten stuck with this car at all. It is used, but it hasnt given me a problem. This vehicle has a lot of features that made me choose it. It was the first vehicle I test drove. I loved the sunroof, heated leather seats. I also like that it is AWD all the time. I enjoy the stock CD and sound. But I dont like the mpg of this car. It is a v6. I would have liked to have a navigation screen, a backup camera, and an information center with displaying mpg to empty and warning messages.

I had to have the intake manifold replaced on my 1997 Ford Crown Victoria LX this year, 2014. Ford has acknowledged this flaw, avoided having an official recall issued, notified their Fleet & Commercial consumers and, quietly, without any sort of notification, offered private owners a repair/repair reimbursement offer that was only in effect for 90 days. This is an outrage! I want to be reimbursed for the money I had to spend to have this repair done. ANYBODY ELSE WITH ME ON THIS?!?

I own a 2010 Ford Flex Limited. It has the EPAS steering system that has failed just like the 2011s that has the same part and has an active recall campaign to replace it. When I contacted the dealership, they pulled the part number up and confirmed the recall but, not on the 2010. The dealership then contacted Ford Corporate for financial assistance. Corporate asked the dealer for the parts and labor replacement estimate just to deny fixing my car. I have just spent over $3,500 replacing both turbos and now, Ford expects for me to pay another $2,000 to fix my car again! You would think that Ford would acknowledge a major safety issue like a steering failure!

I brought my 2001 Taurus wagon in to have snow tires installed on Nov. 23, 2011 and the mechanic said that I had a cracked left front coil spring but that it was part of a recall, so it wouldnt cost anything to replace. I scheduled an appointment and was told the offer expired on Sept. 29, 2011, which is 10 years from the purchase date of the vehicle. I called Ford to find out why they never told me of this and they claim they sent out notices, which they didnt, at least not to me. Im the only owner of the vehicle and live at the same address as I did when vehicle was purchased. Ford wouldnt budge on this. I also noticed I had a suspension/strut service done in Oct. 2005. Shouldnt the dealer have noticed the recall or service bulletin at that time? This is my last Ford, thats for sure. Its gonna cost me between $700 and $1,000 to repair. Im also selling all my Ford stock.

On December of 2010, I had transmission problems and we then had it replaced at Gates Automotive 73 Marway Circle Rochester, NY 14624; phone 585-247-3844. Then in March of 2012, we received a recall notice stating that there is a recall on the torque converter. So now that we received the notice this month that there is an official recall, they are denying the claim because it does not have specifics of the torque converter being the case, but does indicate the same problems of having park, no forward or reverse on van. I had them replace the transmission not knowing Ford was recalling it at that time because of it being two years prior to any letter. Now because the receipt does not indicate that it was a torque converter, they will not honor the refund on this job. I had spoken with a couple of individuals from the 1-800-232-5952 customer relationship center and still no headway. The company did not pull the transmission apart because no one knew of a recall. I would have rather paid for a torque converter than a whole transmission.

This is a simple and clear issue. April 14, 2020 went to Big Valley Ford in Stockton California, located in the Stockton Auto Mall. My need from Big Valley Ford was a set of 4 new tires and a wheel alignment. Was told it would take 2 hours for the what I needed done. 1) I waited on-site at Big Valley Ford while the service was being completed, service personnel knew we were on-site. We were notified in-person by the Advisor our truck was done, within the 2 hour time frame. I was happy.2) The Big Valley Ford Advisor had us pay our invoice prior to us taking our truck, the truck was slightly out of view so I could see while paying. After the payment we walked out to the truck and noticed the tires were installed incorrectly. The Advisor agreed the Tech installed the tires incorrectly, Advisor stated, We will fix it. I was thinking okay 30mins is reasonable and asked how long, the Advisor stated it would be additional 2 hours for them to correct their mistake. The Advisor stated a new invoice would have to be created and my truck would be taken in the order of the invoice (My vehicle was at the back of the line again).I was upset and the Advisor said they would check with management to see about a free oil change in the future. I said I didnt care about free stuff just get my truck in now and fix Big Valley Fords mistake, the Advisor stated they could do that. So of-course I had no choice, I was upset and told the Advisor we were going to walk home. The Advisor said, I could try to get you a shuttle ride home, I wasnt having the TRY moment again and walked home.3) Big Valley Fords Advisor called my home to let us know the tire were done correctly and the truck was ready for pick-up. I drove my wife to Big Valley Ford to pick up the truck, saw the tire were correctly mounted. Checked the tire pressure, the tire pressure was incorrect from what was placed on the invoice. I told the Advisor and asked how long would it take to get the tire inflated correctly, the Advisor stated it will be awhile. At this point my blood was boiling but kept my cool, I said never mind. Ill use my small electric air pump at home.4) Drove the truck home from Big Valley Ford, we live about a mile from this dealership and parked it so I could get to it in the morning. I was hurting bad by this time (physically) from walking home. April 15, 2020 woke-up and went outside to air up the truck tires. I noticed one of the lug-nuts was wrong. I understand the newer vehicles have decorative caps over the lugs, checked the rest of the lugs and they had no play in the caps at all. This truck had 24 lug-nuts with no issues when I took the truck to Big Valley Ford the day prior, now I had 23 and one odd looking one.5) Drove the truck back to Big Valley Ford and showed them, they promptly replaced the incorrect lug-nut. The mileage difference from the final invoice was around 2 miles, drove it straight home and straight back to Big Valley Ford. Spoke with the service manager at this time and all he would do is make excuses and downplay the problems I had, he said the lug-nut cap probably flew off when I drove home. I had him test all the others and they were solid, his tone changed a little however the manager just downplayed the series of mistakes as not being a big deal.6) My background with Big Valley Ford, from 2003 to 2015 I have purchased 9 new vehicles for more than $300, 000.00 not including services. The last two NEW vehicles I purchased 2015 Ford Lariat Ecoboost 3.5L F150 FX4 ($60K) and 2015 Ford Fusion Ecoboost ($30K), I purchased the best warranty from Ford for both for over $5,000.00. The warranties expire in 2021.7) I have handicap plates on my truck because Im 100% disabled, this is why I hurt so much from walking home. Big Valley Ford Advisor knew this as I have had prior conversations about my military service and how I became disabled. 8) Big Valley Ford sent a free oil change coupon to my house and gave my wife 5 car-washes, again Big Valley Ford thinks giving free services makes things right. I told Big Valley Ford they had plenty of opportunities to make this right when it was happening. Customers deserve as a basic their vehicle returned in the same or better condition, all this mean is my truck should have been in better condition when I picked it up, New Tires. How many customers who didnt know Big Valley Ford made mistakes drove off, how many of these ended in accidents and people hurt or killed. 9) Ford Motor Company needs to get a head of this and do something to protect the Ford name and reputation.Updated by ** · Apr 19, 2020. I forgot to mention I took the 5 free war-wash & Free oil change coupons back and gave them to the Advisor. Talked with the main manager and he treated my issue like I was a second rate customer and he also downplayed the issues with a lack of concern. I also paid cash for both vehicles (2015s).

I am 62 years old and I have been driving Ford products for the last 40 years. I have purchased several new vehicles from Ford and not had any problems until I recently purchased a 2018 Ford F-150 with a 302 V-8 August 21, 2018 from Cook Ford in Texas City, Texas. The next day the ac went out. The front bumper was mounted crooked. It was almost 2 inches higher on one side than the other. The Texas edition emblem on the tailgate was installed crooked. The door dampener on the driver side pops when you open and close the door. The engine idles very rough. There is a slight knocking noise coming from the motor when idling in park. I have never purchased a new vehicle with this many problems. The 10 speed transmission does not shift smooth at all.I have just over 8000 miles on this truck and this is the worst experience I have ever had with a Ford vehicle. I have always encouraged my children to purchase Ford products until now. I have been thinking about getting rid of this vehicle and switching to another brand. On 12/1/2013, I started my car (2008 Ford Fusion) and it sounded & seemed normal. However, after driving less than 2 miles, my engine suddenly decelerated and the RPMs dropped dramatically. I tried to accelerate and it would not increase speed. I was able to get off the road safely. I had to have my car towed. The mechanic determined that the problem was due to a faulty power train control module which impacts the ignition coils and the estimated cost of repair is $2100! One of my ignition coils was melted. Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (which suggests replacing the power train control module & all 6 ignition coils) on this issue; however, they do not deem this a safety issue! Cars that just stop running or decelerate quickly is most definitely a safety issue. I can think of many scenarios where this issue could cause injury or perhaps even death. Had I been on a freeway or driving at a greater speed where there was more traffic, I could certainly have ended up in an accident with another vehicle. I researched this concern and found that I am not alone and there have many others affected by the same exact situation. Ford is of the opinion that this should be the responsibility of the car owner and they do not hold themselves accountable. I understand how warranties work and I realize that cars age. However, this issue has nothing to do with wear and tear or age. This is a faulty piece of equipment that is causing a safety issue when it hampers a vehicles ability to continue in a forward motion at a normal rate of speed. Ford Motor Company should issue a safety recall...not just a technical service bulletin.

Ford complaint center said it has. Fletcher Ford service center said that my rotors were ground down so bad that I need new rotors. Ford Complaint center claims that they were never touched by any service according to my service records. Ford tried to say that I ride the brakes too hard and that is why they are ground down so much. I had another Ford truck that I put over 400,000 miles on and never had to change the rotors. I dont ride on my brakes. I believe that there was some dishonesty along the way.Ford has always serviced my Ford truck and they kept up the brakes. My brakes are right now 70% to the good so why would anyone grind down my rotors? The only thing I can think of, is so that I would get Ford service to replace them and thats how they make more money on your vehicle along the way. On May 9, 2016 in Manchester NH our 2015 Ford F150 Lariat spontaneously caught fire and destroyed itself and a car in the adjacent parking spot. The vehicle was parked a few feet outside our office window when smoke came pouring out of the hood of the truck. The truck was unattended, was NOT running, just suddenly started burning out of control. It eventually burnt to the ground, destroying the front of our office concrete walls, office windows, pavement, and the car next to it.

About a month ago I purchased a vehicle at five Star Ford in Georgia at five star Ford, after I bought the vehicle I brought it home to New York where I live. About three weeks later I was detailing the vehicle and noticed that the passenger side front fender had little circles. About 10 of them that look like there was touch up paint over them. After I noticed them I immediately called my local Ford dealership and ask them to take a look at the truck. Once I took the truck to them and they looked at the truck and they told me that this truck had some kind of damage done to it and that they try to touch it up at either the dealership or the Ford factory plant. So I immediately contacted the dealership in Georgia where I purchased this vehicle. They told me oh go get a second opinion so which at that point I took it to another Ford dealership and they said the same thing. So The other Ford dealership told me that there was over $1300 in damage to fix it.So I called The dealer back where I bought it and they informed me to call ford itself, so I explained the matter to ford. They gave me a case number and Ive been going back-and-forth with the Ford representative and they wanted to give me money towards it to fix, so I explained to the representative at ford that that is bull crap. I purchased a brand new truck and expected a new truck not something that had damage. I have a total of three fords through them right now. I am a loyal customer and they are gonna tell me they will give me some money towards it when they sold me a truck like that that was supposedly brand new. not even to cover it under warranty. This is like a bad dream, a 54000 dollar truck I bought brand new and they dont wanna cover it. So to everyone that reads this DO not buy a Ford. They are the worst company to their customers after the purchase especially how loyal I been to them. I own 170000 in fords right now Im still paying on and have had 15 previous fords and Im only 30 years old. They have lost me as a customer for life! I hope this helps further ford buyers in their next purchase to see how bad their customer service is.

I purchased a New 2017 F250 Lariat in June of 2017. IT IS A LEMON! I went through 5 trips for repairs with no success. The vehicle drifts to the right among other things. I went through arbitration with the BBB. This was forced do to signing an agreement to arbitrate when I bought the truck. The arbitrator found the truck to be unsafe but allowed Ford one more chance to repair (another month) with the same results, UNSAFE. I was then awarded a buy back. With a substantial cost for 6200 miles accumulated. It has been nearly a month and Fords repurchase department is not responding, I am told any day now. Thirteen months of living with a $70,000 lemon and Ford acts like it is my fault. WARNING WARNING. Stay away from FORD. They dont care after they get your money.

First Ford Truck and within 5k miles, check engine light comes on. It goes on and off, cant be reproduced and now at 20k miles, it has been in the shop for 3+ weeks 2 different times waiting to be fixed. The first time, dealer could not reproduce the problem after 3 weeks and within 2 days of me getting it back, the light came back on. Now, it has been at a different dealer for 2 + weeks and while they diagnosed it, they have too many vehicles in front of mine to look at it sooner than another 1.5 weeks. No loaners available. Have to leave it at the dealer or I lose my place in line. Terrible customer service. Big let down - will be looking to trade this FORD Junk in for a different brand once they ever get it fixed.UPDATE ON 09/26/2018: Overall, when I purchase a new vehicle for 36+k, I do not expect it to have engine problems. After leaving the truck at the Ford Dealer for 4+ weeks, it was finally completed. I spent a fair amount of time explaining to their Service Manager all of the hassles I have had with this brand new truck. The dealers Ford Rep agreed to offer a Premium Extended Warranty to restore some good will. Having Ford offer a Premium Extended Warranty for the “hassle” is not really going above and beyond to help customers. It is expected at the very least. After calling into Ford Customer Service and getting someone that basically reads from a ‘script’ and does not really care about the customer, my confidence in Ford’s customer service is completely gone. In addition, there is hardly any management of dealers and how they provide customer service on new Ford vehicles. Not impressed. In fact, while this was going on with my Ford Truck, my Chevy Traverse Check Engine light came on. I took it to the Chevy Dealer we normally go to and the customer service was stellar, it was night and day difference between the Ford Dealer. I get each Dealer needs to determine how they go to market and serve their customers, but, Ford does not seem to care as long as people buy their vehicle.

11/02/15 My family and I had just came from a store at around 6pm, truck showed no signs of misuse or damage for I have had this truck for more than 10 years with no serious problems. We parked our truck at our apartment complex again with no signs of anything that could have triggered a fire. At 11:30 pm our neighbors had notified us that our truck was on fire. The fire department arrived about 20 minutes into the fire leaving the truck completely nonexistent. The fire department told us the fire had started in the engine. Ive never heard of some kind of recall in these models of trucks, Ford company should be responsible for all these damages.

I have two recalls on my 2013 Fusion. I asked the dealership and customer service if I would be provided a loaner car if the repair took more than four hours. I was told that Ford does not provide loaners for either recall. This is totally unacceptable. Ford has sold me a defective vehicle and now to add insult to injury, they are telling me it is my responsibility to provide transportation for myself due to this defective vehicle. I am paying a car note to drive a vehicle, now I will either have to pay for a rental or inconvenience someone else and pay them for their gas. How does Ford think I should be responsible for additional costs because they sold me a defective product? I have informed the dealership and customer service that I will never purchase another Ford product because of this.

I ordered a Lincoln Aviator Black Label in April. In August I was given the VIN number and was told that this car would arrive in two weeks. As of this date (12/17/2019), the car has NEVER shown up. Because of this, I was forced to buy another car that was not the same as I ordered or wait until???? Now I find out that ALL the things that I thought were part of the Black label package are ONLY available at certain select dealers. And none of these are near my house. I cannot even get a free car wash. Also, yesterday my wife had a flat tire and when she called Lincoln she was told that there was nobody close enough to help her. So naturally she called me to fix the problem but only after damaging the tire trying to get off the road.My question is how does anyone lose a car like the one I ordered after it is built?? And when you pay $7,500 extra for Black Label you should get something other than someone telling you that they cannot help you. Lincoln has a long way to go, to get their standards up to the foreign dealers. I called Lincoln today, and was advised that they will file my complaint. I am sure I know where!!!! The car is sitting in the garage after I removed the tire myself and ordered a new one. It will be a week to get this new tire, without the use of any car. All this just days before Christmas. Someone should tell me why a 74 year old who just had abdominal surgery 4 weeks ago had to remove the tire and why I paid some much extra for a Black Label that means nothing??? I am writing this after talking to Lincoln and realizing that once they have you money, they could care less.Robert **

I was asleep and my husband took our son to school which is a mile away. He gets home and starts to get ready for work and someone came to our door to tell us his truck was on fire. He went outside, turned on hose and called 911. We had to evacuate our kids and animals to the backyard. My brother’s motorcycle which was parked next to the truck also caught fire. Melted our garage door and luckily firemen got here before it hit our house. This is insane and Ford should take responsibility for this as it could have killed someone or caught our home on fire.

I bought a 2014 F150. I only have 35000 miles on it. Started rusting in the cab corners before warranty went out but they wouldnt cover it because it wasnt perforated. They assured me that once it perforates it would be covered because I was still way under the mileage and that the time didnt matter. Well, one month after the time portion of the warranty went out, it perforated. I took it to both dealers I had been dealing with and they wouldnt give me the time of day. Just said, Your warranty is out, we dont want to touch it. Now I cant even get my truck fixed. Only one shop in my area will even touch rust work, but he wants close to $3500 to fix it and he has terrible reviews for quality work. Spoke to customer care and they said to just hope Ford releases some kind of reimbursement or extended warranty in the future. Are you kidding me?The problem was clearly noted before the warranty expired. I could have easily poked a hole through the bubbles to make it perforated, but that would not be honest. I wasnt even looking for Ford to cover the entire thing, maybe just approval for the dealer to actually do the work and maybe a discounted rate. I was considering upgrading some trucks in my fleet to new super dutys as Ive always had Ford, but given the way I have been treated the last few years by Ford, I dont believe I can bring myself to do so anymore. Whatever has happened to this company in the last 5-8 years, I am very disappointed.

Its seat is a couple inches higher than other cars, so it is easier for me to get in and out of with my old knees, and the A/C works great, which is a must in Texas! Its an older car, so it doesnt have wi-fi technology. I might install wi-fi if I thought Id be keeping the car forever. I purchased a 2011 Ford Edge Certified pre-owned with 26000 miles. This vehicle has been in for major repairs within the last two years. Vehicle has AWD. The power transfer unit failed at approximately 60000 miles. The backup camera does not work at all. Just a blank black screen. Several valves went bad. The car was at a Ford dealer for 12 days. The backup camera no longer works. Its just a black screen. The only thing to be done with is replace it at the tune of $866.00. I did not have the camera replaced due to the substantial cost. The latest problem is the catalytic converters. They went bad at 75000 miles. The service engine soon comes on and flashes and then goes off. Called dealer and took it in. This was in January 2017.I was told both catalytic converters have to be replaced. The dealership told me they would have both converters by mid-February 2017. I called them at the end of the February and now they do not know when they will be getting the catalytic converters in. Really??? Note that I am still driving the vehicle and have not been offered a rental car as of yet. I was told not to take the vehicle on long trips because of the converters being bad. How long am I going to have to wait to have this fixed??? This will be the last thing that gets fixed on this car because if one more thing happens to it I will be getting rid of it. I am very disappointed in Ford and I have had several. Time to look at the foreign SUVs.

I am very upset to the point where I am in the midst of contacting the Better Business Bureau and posting a blog online regarding your company lack of integrity and manner of doing business. In November, my 2010 Ford Edge which is currently financed through your company caught on fire due to an ABS issue. I bought the vehicle as a used vehicle in 2013. I contacted my local dealership to report the problem. It took them 7 days before someone contacted me regarding a diagnosis of the problem. The car was towed but someone failed to address the issue. I was initially told it was my issue. Coincidentally, I went online and found out that that there was an issue and there was a recall at which point someone decided that they will look into the matter. The service department decided that they would begin repair on the vehicle. I was given a rental while the repair were to be done.First, the service repair advisor was incompetent as I had been calling everyday to get a status of the vehicle and each time I was told that they are working on it or the parts was not in. Your record would also reflect every time I made a phone call and spoke to someone, even calls made to your corporate headquarters. I was even assured that because of the situation everything would be handled. What I fail to understand that why it took almost 5 weeks for a part to come in. Its a Ford vehicle part, should be readily accessible. It is not an older model vehicle so what was the issue here? Here is where I am really pissed off with this whole situation. My mom went in today to get her vehicle oil changed. Note, hers is 2014 Edge as well. I relayed my concern to her and she decided to find out exactly what was going on. Ironically, what my mom was told that is the they can pick the car up today. How coincidental? She asked about the rental and was told that they were only covered for 10 days. Well, that is not acceptable or reasonable. We had no control on how long it would have taken to repair the vehicle. Why should we be penalized with a $1500.00 bill when nothing that occurred was within our control. Ford Motor Company was in total control of this situation from beginning to end and we are now receiving the ** end of this situation by being held hostage to pay a $1500.00 rental bill which I dont have especially this time of the year.Your local dealership was less than accommodating and did nothing within their power to expedite the repair of the vehicle. This was I believe the company did in order to recoup the cost of repairing the vehicle. They held on to the vehicle for as long as they could. The prolonged the process, which increased the cost of the rental, which was deceitful and as unprofessional. Your company is not a small mom and pop repair shop. You are a major company and should have pride and integrity in the way you do business. My mom has been a valued Ford customer for over 20 years. Every vehicle she has ever owned was a Ford vehicle. This has left us and her very dissatisfied with your company and your business practice. I still feels that we can come to some amicable agreement. As I said before, I am between a rock and a hard place as I have no other choice because I will need my vehicle especially since I am one vehicle home currently since I also I have another Ford vehicle that is also down because of needed repairs.I close with this statement - I am a very unhappy and dissatisfied customer. I am also not going to roll over and let this slide. Based on how this turns on it is my intent to take further action on this matter. I do intend to post pictures on the Internet of the vehicle. It may cost me $1500.00 but in the long run when I am done it will cost the company more based on reviews I will post online and providing feedback and reviews for this vehicle and your company as a whole. Looking forward to hearing from you. I would rate lower than a 1 star. Unfortunately it does not go lower than a 1.

I love Ford vehicles. My first was an Explorer which I had for about 4-5 years but when both my dogs passed away, I needed to move on to help me forget but I sold it on my own and got a pretty penny for it. This was a rare occasion because I like to hold on to my vehicles. So I took the check I received for it and started my search for my next Ford. And of course there are the naysayers who will tell you that Ford stands for found on road dead But not in my case. My next Ford was in 1996, the last year they made the Bronco. I bought it in Nov of 1995 and I drove it for 20 years with regular upkeep but not one problem along the way. One month short of 20 years it got tired and had to go to Bronco heaven. I had more people asking me if I would consider selling it because I take care of my cars and even after 20 years, there was not a speck of rust on it. I was stopped at a light one day and the guy behind me got out of his car and came to my window just to tell me what a nice truck it was. Since then, I have been driving a non Ford car that I had in storage and I hate it. You cant see over other cars and trucks when you are stuck in traffic. But, never fear, the word is out that Ford will be bringing the Bronco back in 2018 and I will be the first in line. I just wish they would bring the little side windows back. They were awesome too.

Last year, front right coil spring failed and punctured the tire requiring the car to be towed and repaired at a cost of $550. Seven months later, rear drivers side coil failed. Today actually, not sure if the tire has been damaged. I will check that at time of pick up at a cost of $350. I have owned many, many cars and never had this problem with any of them. I am concerned with the other two. Fortunately, both failures were at low speeds. How can this not be a recall. Im much more concerned with the safety aspect than the cost. I bought a Fiesta at N1 City Ford in March 2016. I was happy with the vehicle up until December, when the aircon system of my car stopped working. It basically just started blowing off hot air instead of cold. I took it to the Ford in Claremont but was told that I have to come back in Jan 2017 because their workshop had closed of the December break. In Jan 2017 I then took it Ford Tygervalley which was the closest Dealership to where I lived. Basically, they couldnt help me either. They told me that they had to regas the aircon, (which they did). Strange how a brand new car less than a year would need this done, but anyway, I took the vehicle, but about a few weeks later, I noticed that the problem, was actually not fixed at all. I then decided to take it to N1 City Ford, since thats where I bought the vehicle. The first time I was there, they basically told me that there was no problem with the aircon, and this was diagnosed by simply idling the car and then turning the aircon on. I came back to them a few days later and then the car was booked in to be checked. I was told that the aircon controller has to be replaced, which would cost the warranty about R13 000. This was then DONE, I was given back the vehicle and told that all is sorted. After just a few days, I went back with the same problem. All that was done again on this day was to idle the car and turn the aircon on. I was told it works and made to feel the air coming out which was cold. I told the service consultant that the aircon is cold only when the car is idling and not when its on the road. I then went back to them AGAIN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, and this time, I insisted that they take the car for a drive, and feel it for themselves. It was taken, driven around the block AND FINALLY AFTER MORE THAN 4 MONTHS, they admitted that the aircon does not work. Had to book the car in YET ANOTHER TIME. By this time, the date was 25 April 2017. Until today, the problem is not fixed, and I have a car sitting at the dealership, yet I am paying installments every single month without fail. The service has been anything but great for me. They insist I take the car back, up until the ordered parts are available. I have refused this, simply because the car is not fixed, and this is not what I contracted with Ford for. They dont want give me a car in the interim, AND I AM INCONVENIENCED.I am extremely disappointed with Ford, and their lack of customer satisfaction. It has been OVER 4 months, and I have had to suffer through the whole of summer, and drive a car with no aircon. I have been more than patient with them, but still the problem is not solved. I dont have a car, yet I am paying for one, and I AM NOT SATISFIED AT ALL.

I have a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport. I’ve been good to this car but it hasn’t been so good to me. In August of this year (2019) I would’ve had this car for 9 years. After many repairs later I’m starting to think I should give up. I’ve invested too much money into this car. Over this last weekend, I had to get my motor mounts done. For the second time! Conveniently enough, I got them done 4 years ago. Motor mounts failed again but guess what? Warranty is only 2 years. Another convenience is that when the repair was done, I went to pick my car up. Sure enough... 2 more problems. Power steering leaked out and ac doesn’t work. I’ve heard the horror stories of cars getting fixed just for the mechanics to break something else in the process. I’ve even recently had to get my left axle replaced. I’ve put in nearly 2 grand in repairs this year alone and the year hasn’t even met its halfway mark. Oh! And they also tell me my transmission might’ve been affected by the faulty motor mounts. It’s exasperating. After a long dialogue with a rep via Twitter direct messages, I’m exhausted and tired of explaining the story over and over again. They just seem to give me generic responses saying they can’t find any warranties or programs that can help me. They asked for my VIN and my mileage. I’ve pretty much poured my heart out to them explaining that I have two kids and I’m a single father struggling to keep the bills paid but they don’t seem to care. It’s crazy how Toyotas and Hondas even Chevys are out here still kicking since 92 and even older with their original engine components. What a rip off. I’ll never buy ford again. If I were to even win a new Ford in a contest I’d trade it immediately for a more reputable company brand car. Thanks a lot Ford. For nothing. But in all seriousness. Thanks to Joe at my local ford dealer for trying his best. But, at this point, I can’t keep doing it anymore. I refuse to put anymore money into this car. I’m done.

I purchased an F150 in Aug 2016, and my bank account was scammed in Feb 2017. In April 2017 Ford sent me a notice of default and right to cure. I discovered that Ford credit had not updated my personal information even though I had the car in service at the Ford dealer and gave my personal information on two separate occasions when I went to get the truck serviced. Ford credit stated they did not have my phone number so just put me on the bad credit list and threatened to repossess the truck even after I had placed $10,675 down to purchase the vehicle. The dealership was given my new information in February when I needed an oil change, but they did not enter it into their system. This is a reflection of the shoddy, greedy and poor customer service of the Ford Dealer. I will never purchase another shoddy vehicle from Ford again. I have been a loyal customer for over 20+ years and realized that Ford could care less. I will NEVER again purchase a Ford and will discourage anyone else from considering a Ford EVER.

My F150 has 62000 miles. My service light came on and said transmission malfunction. Took to dealer very same day. After almost a month to repair because Ford dealer/Ford regional manager could not find the parts to repair the transmission, could not find the parts in the Ford system throughout the US. Picked up truck on a Saturday at a cost of $1200 and returned on Sunday. The transmission kept shifting between gears and when I stopped at a traffic light and then accelerated, it would race and then engage with a jolt. It has so far been TWO months and I still do not have my truck. I will never buy another truck from Ford again. All they have done is run you around in circles until you get exhausted and quit. The only good thing is they gave me a loaner two weeks after they took my truck so I dont have to rent a car anymore.

I bought a 2016 Ford Focus SE with the 6 speed transmission. At 20K had the computer flashed, noticed excessive shutter at low speeds while turning and accelerating. I contacted the dealer and like they tell everyone to adjust their driving habits which I did, I use this car for business and has a lot of highway miles, I am currently at 92,000 which I planned on retiring this car at 100k to give to my wife. At 88,000 miles the transmission started slipping between 2nd and 3rd gear, unable to kick down at 50 mph to pass anyone without major slipping, in stop and go traffic it smashes into gear hard. Took it into the dealer and they say its 1800 to replace the clutches and seals and they refuse to replace it even after I told them that they are responsible because this has been a huge parts failure for years, never had a transmission fail this early on a Ford. Ford Motors still refuses to replace it because I am outside my warranty and even when obviously this wearing out obviously started a long time ago to already be bad before 100k, as the 2016 models get more miles on them we will be seeing more and more 2016s with the same issues as the previous models. I bought Ford because its American made so I thought when really its Mexican made, if I am going to buy foreign I will take my chances on Japanese at this point. Sorry Ford. I used to love you but since you have taken 2 weeks and still havent giving me an answer on a approval to fix your massive clutch issue leaving my family in jeopardy without a safe car to drive. Were finished. Ford still tries to sidestep their problems even when there are so many people with the same parts issue is unacceptable.

But they have not received clutch from USA and asked me to go back for 3rd time. In past the service guys have done the same thing, they called me to service station and then asked me to go back. Do they do communication in between? Or at least notify your customer before they arrived. I have changed my working shift because of them for 3rd time and what I got at the end: nothing. Poor service. Very Upset with the customer service they are offering.

Just remember this fellow owners, all manufacturers sell these cars, only the good ones stand behind their product. Simple, is Ford a good company or mediocre? Will you continue to support a company that does not stand behind its product? I will no longer support Ford until this issue is resolved. Sounds like a class action to me. Step up to the plate Ford or is the company simply mediocre? F.O.R.D. = Flat Or Road Deflating.

I took my truck to Sheehy Ford for a engine issue. Basically the truck would shut off while driving down the road. The dealer said we should replace the head studs, head gaskets, injector seals, fuel seals, oil passage seals. I was okay with all of that costing estimated $7000 and about 26 labor hours. That was 4+ months ago. They have had my truck for 4+ months. They replaced my radiator, why??? I dont know and the service manager doesnt know either. But Im sure Im getting billed for that somehow. Face to face I asked the service manager why they replaced my radiator. He said I dont know. I went to the shop to get some camping stuff out of my truck and was there for about 25-30 minutes. There were 6 vehicles in the shop and not one technician in there working. At one point a tech walked in the back door and grabbed an oil pan and brought it over to a van but dropped it and walked up to the front. I dont trust what they are doing mechanically to my truck. They in theory replaced my high pressure oil pump, but once it was all back together they had zero oil pressure. Did they replace it??? Well even the old oil pump was giving some oil pressure. I cant get a response from the service manager anymore and I had to call Ford motor company. So far Tina has done a good job corresponding between me and the dealer but Im not getting anywhere. Again 4+ months and over $4000 in rental car bills. I have yet to get my truck back and am still making payments and insurance on a truck I can not use. I wouldnt trust them to change my head light.

After a few minutes, they realized that the spring had broken and was logged in the tire. So naturally I had to have it towed to the shop. This problem cost me $968. I had to have the front springs replaced along with the lings that go with this and a new tire and I am just back at work after two years.

Ford Motor Company dont want business from US citizens of Puerto Rico... On November 24, 2017 at the Central Florida International Auto Show I was enjoying a great Auto Show especially looking at the Pickup trucks inside the Orlando Convention Center. Ford, Nissan and Chevy pickups were my top pick for my next purchase, the only other thing that I needed to was to test drive them. So after spending all day at the show I went outside and test drove with Nissan, Dodge and others with my Puerto Rico drivers license with no issues. But when I stop at the Ford Test drive tent I show my Puerto Rico drivers license like I did with the other 3 locations and was notify that it was no good, only US driver license. I told the lady that Puerto Rico is part of the United States but she didnt care. Last time I check Ford has dealerships in the island of Puerto Rico. As a US citizen and a US service member, I felt disappointed, disrespect... Ford Motor Company lost a customer... and hopefully many more.

I recently bought a 2003 Ford F350 6.0 PowerStroke from a private Seller that only sold the truck because of a loss of work. I bought the truck nice with only 92,000 miles on it and it ran well and was very clean. However, I didnt drive it a few hundred miles before lots of white smoke blew out of the exhaust. My gauges were all reading normal and ALL of the fluids were full. I was driving the truck from Colorado to NY when this happened trying to get my family back home. I stopped and NO ONE could tell me what was wrong. Again, no warning lights yet. We stay overnight there and the next morning when I tried to start the truck an engine light came on. I immediately took it two miles down the road and had it hooked up to a diagnostic machine. Again, no one could tell me exactly what was wrong and could only guess as to what it was.The truck was running fine at this point. I had to get the truck looked at and the only place open on a holiday weekend was a 24 hour garage, the problem was it was about 30 minutes away. I tried to get it there but it started blowing a lot of smoke and got loud. We had it towed and had to wait two days for a Ford dealer to look at it because the tow truck operator didnt trust the 24 hour garage, in fact I found out they had bad reviews also. Anyway, once Ford opened and diagnosed the truck, they said that the Glow Plug had melted in half and fell into the engine causing catastrophic damage to the engine. I couldnt believe this! I told them how everything happened and the guy said that by the time the light came on the engine had probably been already damaged to the point to where it now needs to be replaced!I paid 13,000 for the truck and I am being told I need 17,000 to replace the whole engine now. I called the Ford Motor Company and told then the same thing but they said that because of the age of the truck there was nothing they could do to help me! Not even give me a loan to get it fixed. I was desperate and NO ONE was willing to help get my truck fixed. You would think a Corporation like Ford would take a little responsibility in what happened here! No lights came on before the engine was apparently damaged beyond repair!!

I was excited to purchase my brand new F350 Super Duty. It came fully loaded and could tow like no other. Yesterday driving home with a trailer full of horses I experienced what has been known as THE FORD DEATH WOBBLE. We were driving around 65mph on a four line highway when we hit a small dip in the road. The wheels on the front end felt like they were coming off the truck, braking made it worse. We pulled over and when we slowed to around 5mph it went away. I called Ford customer service to file a complaint and they were HORRIBLE. I requested a supervisor and was told none was available. I then called the national highway safety board and filed a complaint and got a case number. I then checked the internet and found 2000 plus complaints. Same issue. Ford acts like I was the only one with this issue. For the $80,000.00 I sure you could by a Dodge or Chevy that will not have this issue. SO DISAPPOINTED. We have owned over 20 trucks in our history and have never run into such a poor customer service experience as with Ford Customer Service.

My 2019 F150 4X4 Supercrew has 1200 miles on it and was purchased July 1, 2018. The drivers side door makes a loud cracking noise when opened or closed. It started out of nowhere approx 2 days ago. I’ve only driven it about 15 times. I took it to the dealer, Pompano Ford, and 2 service techs and a body shop tech looked at. The 2 service techs said it might need to be lubricated, but the body shop tech said the black hinge was faulty and needed to be replaced. It’s difficult to tell if the noise is coming from the part of the hinge that’s connected to the door, or the part that is connected to the body. He said the door has to be taken off to replace it. I asked him if the door would be put back on the way it was new, he stated he couldn’t guarantee it would be exact, but may be slightly off after the repair. They did not have the part, but would contact me when the part arrived.

I am the owner of a 2012 Ford Focus which is known to have a bad clutch and transmission. While I was under warranty, I had two clutches replaced and multiple software flashes to try and fix the issue. I have only had my new clutch for about 19,000 miles but because I am now out of warranty, they are making me pay for a new one. The first service representative at Miller Ford advised that we have the old clutch and right after they put that into my vehicle, they came out with a new clutch that fixed the issues the old one is having. He explained that due to this, the new one should be covered. After they diagnosed my vehicle, they are now stating that since my vehicle has over 100,000 miles, I would have to pay for the new clutch, even though they know they put a clutch in my car with KNOWN ISSUES. My husband was active duty military and when the military tells you to move, they dont pay to transport your car so we were forced to drive across the country with our vehicle. Military families will ALWAYS have more miles on a vehicle than a family that doesnt have to move all over the country. I find Fords actions reprehensible since they know the clutch that is in my car is BAD and they JUST REPLACED it. They also advised me that when a clutch is replaced under warranty, the warranty on the part is a lot shorter than if I had paid for it. Ford knows that they came out with a clutch to fix the problems that the one that is in my car is having, but yet they are STILL MAKING ME PAY FOR IT. DO NOT BUY A FORD, THEY ARE THIEVES AND AN UNETHICAL COMPANY.

My 2013 Ford Fiesta hatchback titanium required a tow in year 3 with no other issues other than the battery dying and the radio console freezing up a few times which I was able to fix myself. It is an American made car that was extremely well priced with attractive features such as moonroof, leather seats, heated seats, rear camera, GPS system, enhanced audio sound system that a lot of the foreign cars offer at their base price models. It came in a manual which was important to me and hard to find. Some of the car pieces are made of plastic though where it should not be. The hood latch and several metal pieces under the hood have seized which I find absurd since I take great care of my vehicle. The whole vehicle is dependent upon a computer system that can be quite finicky at times especially when wet or cold outside.

The catch is Ford will hire a third party vendor to tow or work on your car, in my case, a tow truck. Even though the car had to be towed just $25 miles, the vendor asked for $250+ and Ford obliged. My 2001 Mercury Sable LS had two broken coil springs in the rear and my wife was commuting with my daughter in the car. I noticed the sag and took it into the shop and told me that if I had waited any longer, she would have had an accident because the spring had corkscrewed a few inches from the inside sidewall! Ford would not cover it, even though it is a defect in metal and quality. It cost me $700 to replace rear suspension. Then my cars front tires were wearing unevenly, so I brought it to the tire shop to have it balanced and rotated. I asked the technician what he noticed and said the tires were wearing a little weird. I already knew I had a problem from there. I brought it to a reputable local front end shop and they found broken springs in the front! I called Ford to complain and they said that there was an extended customer courtesy on the front springs 10 years or 140K, but I did not qualify any longer - 80K on the car but a year too late. I said, “NHSTA says it’s a safety hazard, so I dont understand why you would not be interested in taking care of your customers and their families?” The rep. repeated the same speech and said the engineers often review these reports and could address this again in the future. So now, Im stuck with another suspension bill. This is why people leave the brand, a little help builds loyalty.

On Monday, 4/29/13, my wife parked the Explorer at 4PM. At 1:30AM the phone started ringing. A neighbor was pounding on our door and a fireman pounding on our bedroom window. The Explorer had started on fire on the drivers side of the engine. The fire melted everything under the hood and started the tires and driveway on fire. The fire spread to my 2005 GMC 2500, a fence, pine tree and the face of the garage. About $35k damage. I was worried the fire may have started by the new starter we put in the week before, but the fire line was above the frame and starter wires were still good. I had a 2011 Ford Edge. Vehicle had high miles and I expect things to go wrong over time but this is just STUPID ENGINEERING!!! When the water pump goes on 3.5L engine it leaked coolant into the oil because it is built into the engine. No warning, and water in the oil basically destroyed the engine unless you are fortunate enough to catch it by fluke. If you are proactive and replace the water pump you are looking at 15 hours of shop labor plus parts and but there is no recommendations to do this in any manual. My motor is ruined and I will never buy a Ford again. WHAT A HORRIBLE DESIGN! There are several Ford engines with this design. This is a motor that is designed to fail. I have owned several Ford vehicles over the years. They have been mostly dependable. My worst experience so far has been the Ford 5.4L 3v in my latest pickup. I have had to do both cam phasers and the dreaded breaking spark plugs. It has otherwise been reliable and I have had no issues since the phasers were done 20,000 mi ago. Previous vehicles had only minor issues such as starters, alternators, O2 sensors, steering components, and other things you would expect to replace on an aging vehicle. I plan to buy another in the future.

I just read the posts and what happened to my truck was exactly what I read - 2000 F150 extended Cab, excellent condition, low mileage, parked for 5 hours, then spontaneous combustion. The engine looks like it was nuked. Though I am sure the Insurance will cover it, but not nearly the value of the truck or the contents that were destroyed. Does Ford provide any compensation?

This is about Lugoff Ford and what has happened with Ford Corporate. Low levels of integrity especially when faced with legal grey areas. Spot deliveries should be removed as they do nothing but help the dealer and put the potential owners in a precarious position if the unapproved financing falls through. A disabled veteran, who has never purchased a new truck finally decides to make the leap, a dealership who on the surface seems amazing to deal with. One spot delivery and failed financing deal two days later, and the honeymoon is short lived. Out of town and unable to review new documentation I requested the dealer to pick up its truck as financing had failed, it was their truck, and I couldnt give a yes or no until the paperwork was reviewed. Unfortunately for both parties, a drunk driver drove through my yard before my return, and broke the frame of this brand new truck. Putting on a wonderful front, attempting to help (at least on the surface), it seemed all was well. The insurance questioned who owned the truck, because documentation was never signed, and the fun began. On the verge of harassment the dealership went so far as to say they would drive to wherever I was located to get me to sign the documentation, because, in their eyes, why wouldnt I sign the documents I never had a chance to go over. They went so far as to say that the approving credit union knew the truck was wrecked, and that it was deemed OK. A quick phone call to a branch manager proved that the dealership was lying and never disclosed the accident, as a result, the credit union started that neither I or they had financial responsibility to the new truck. The dealer then took the stance that regardless, I owned the truck, and it was my responsibility, and I was on my own. Calls left unanswered, phone calls never returned, and a GM who wouldnt make contact, in stepped lawyers on both sides.  A month later and the issue is unresolved, the dealer refuses to be amicable, and now they have gone so far as to push my personally identifiable information to ANOTHER creditor, obtain an approval without my permission or signature, and expect me to make a payment on a truck I have yet to sign for by the 7th of January. As a disabled veteran, this is heartbreaking to be apart of, it has put me back in therapy. We have approached the VA and Prisma Health (my wifes place of employment) about publishing our story in their newsletter, as it obvious the only thing this dealer understands or respects is the bottom line. I will also be contacting, if approved, all local news outlets that are willing to listen, as this needs to be out in the open. I wonder how many lost customers this issue will cause? And for what? A truck? With so many Ford dealerships to choose from, Lugoff Ford (and by virtue the whole family of dealerships IE Lugoff Toyota, Carolina Dodge, etc.) needs to understand the repercussions of taking advantage of its disabled veterans and hospital workers.

Truck has 40,000 miles on the odometer when it had a reading on dash panel that said service advance trac, also the turn signals would not work, took it to Ford service dept where they performed pin point test - found an internal fault in the power steering control sensor. Steering gear assumable needs to be replaced (this power rack is a 12volt system). They want $1,325 to replace. Ford has a better idea, called job security.

I bought my Ford Freestyle in 2005 brand new. After the first scheduled oil change the gas control panel never registered to the f for full again. I took it in immediately and they tried to fix it 4 times and gave every excuse even said I was going to the wrong gas station and something must be wrong with the pumps. They were aware of this problem through a bulletin and never told me until 18 months and 4 times in the shop to fix when they said the gas tank needed to be replaced. It has never filled to the F even with a new gas tank. They were also aware of the problems with the CVT transmission for the 2005 and never made me aware of it. 2014 I started having the engine light going on and out periodically and took it in to be diagnosed and over the last year I got a list of so-called causes from: needed to be re-calibrated, re-programmed, EGR replacement, PCV valve clogged, and finally after 3 weeks in the dealership service department I was told I needed a new transmission for $8,224.00 on this car with only 73,000 miles on it. I have taken excellent care of this car and now I have to junk it because I cant trust Ford to replace a screw much less a new transmission. Im so angry that I just find out that they knowingly sold me a lemon and kept me in the dark through all kinds of repairs in order not to have to buy back this car. I sunk more than $50,000 dollars into this car and have nothing. I only wish i knew about the class action lawsuit before my warranty was up. Never again in life will I own a Ford=Fix Or Repair Daily.

I have a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer (same as Ford Explorer and now serviced by Ford). Vehicle has always been well maintained, garaged, and has low mileage of 68,000, but unfortunately Ive been the victim of 3 (so far) well known design flaws that were not covered because I was out of warranty. Each of these has carried a substantial price tag to correct. The first was the fan motor under the dash for heat. It made a loud clanking noise and there was no heat. I was told this was a common problem and the dash had to be pulled and the fan and motor replaced. The next issued appeared shortly after. The back panel just under the back windshield developed a vertical crack - top to bottom close to the center. Dealer told me it was a design flaw and pushing the panel to close in a spot other than center causes this area to flex and crack. Again, well known problem but not covered. (I have since noticed at least 50% of Explorers & Mountaineers I see on the road with a crack that are of this era). Most recently, I have developed rust behind the rear passenger wheel well. I have consulted 2 body shops and they both told me common problem with these models - usually just on one side. Design problem. This is a very expensive problem to fix, especially for a 10 year old vehicle. If not for these apparent common problems, Ive been pretty pleased with my vehicle, but I am very frustrated with Ford that they wont stand behind and repair these things. At 68,000 miles, I would like to continue driving this SUV, but Im afraid what could be next. Ive always bought Ford products, but their unwillingness to stand behind their product concerns me.

Have 26k miles on the car and it constantly needs jumped. Took my car in 3 times still no resolution. Asked for a loaner and got nothing. My Dodge Nitro with 190K miles was more reliable than this Explorer. Regret this purchase and I will never buy another Ford!

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE A FORD!!! They do not back their product even when they have a known issue. Most $$$ car I have ever bought, 30K, only 2013, 50,000 miles now and sunroof wont even close. Car in service center before for running slow and same issue. Now needs a complete frame replacement?!?!?? Of course not in warranty or even the extended warranty I PURCHASED. Want me to pay $2600 to replace frame. I have not bent the frame or had a wreck! Garage kept car. Its obviously defective Ford part. I guess I will use an umbrella to keep the weather from my 3-week old. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD OR AMERICAN MADE POS! Had 1 Toyota, 2 Nissans and 2 Hyundais and had NO problems. Paid much less, much older and got 200,000 plus miles on them. Only get the run around when you call customer care. Service manager gives you the number but customer care says manager has final say. Manager goes out of town before discussing decision with you. When you make original call, everything is always we cant look at it for at least one week, til you ask to talk to manager then it changes like magic. Sure I will drive around with sunroof open for a week until you can even look at it.
