CUE stop working. Just like so many others out there who have left reviews on the Cadillac CUE, I am angry. This is my first Cadillac, and I am very surprise that GM has not addressed this issue. I have own other GM products, which I have been happy with in the past, but this issue with the CUE makes driving my 2016 SRX somewhat dissatisfied.
Love my car but hate the radio or cue system. From the first year we bought this car the screen on the radio would freeze up. But after a day or so it would be ok again. Not sure why it would work again but happy it was working. Then this past month it froze up and we have tried everything to fix it. Just called the local Cadillac dealer and they said it is common but my warranty is out and it could cost anywhere between 1500.00-2200.00, yikes!!! There should be a recall on this radio system because I have read many reviews this past month while trying to figure out why mine wasnt working.
Adding a follow up to my previous post regarding my CTS, the radiator blew the main hose right out of it and took out the transmission lines. The car has less than 60,000 miles, but because the warranty is up, Cadillac refused to accept responsibility for poor quality and a defect in the radiator. I paid $1,225.00 to fix the problem and put only 300 miles on the car before it was leaking transmission fluid. The GM garage sent a wrecker after the car (all the new parts were under warranty) and the problem they found was a defective new radiator. Everything needed to be replaced again! Interesting that this genuine GM part was defective, but Cadillac refuses to accept responsibility for the first one. I have read other consumer reports of the same thing happening to other CTSs. How many does it take for a recall to be issued and for Cadillac to acknowledge the problem?
Had a 2004 Cadillac XLR Drop Top. Absolutely the best car from General Motors in ADDITION to the 2000 Corvette Convertible I owned with 75,000 miles on it AND NEVER WENT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR ANY PROBLEM, which I traded in for The Cadillac XLR also with 75,000 on it. And it also never went to the service department for any problem. The Cadillac WAS produced at the Corvette Factory in Bowling Green Kentucky.
I have a 2008 XLR with 2 years warranty outstanding. The nav system has been replaced 3 times in 22K miles. Now it does not work because it needs a new east coast disc. The discs are on national backorder, which means that Cadillac has no idea when, if ever, new discs will be available. GM has no control over its vendors is a direct quote from a head office representative (number and name available on request). I believe that Cadillac knew in 2008 that there would be no replacements since they stopped offering 2 yearly disc updates in the sale price of the vehicle. I was offered 300 minutes of On Star or 2 years of free oil changes, but would still leave me without a nav system. Can anyone swap an east coast disc for an unused west coast disc? Good luck with that was the response to the suggestion that a class action suit might get a better response. Ive had Caddies for the last 40 years. What will I get next? A BMW, a Lexus or even a Lincoln?
I have been really happy with this car make and model (Cadillac SRX). Performance is wonderful, it is great on fuel economy and the price we got it for is superb. Also, the body style is sleek and modern and is a very pretty car that drives like a luxury Sedan more so than a Crossover vehicle. However, since purchasing there have been a few minor maintenance hiccups. Nevertheless, I love this car the most of all cars I have ever owned.
I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS 3.6L engine with less than 87,000 miles on it. About 2 weeks ago, a screw had somehow backed itself out of one of the gears and caused major damage to my vehicle. The valve cover is shredded, cracked cylinder head and a piece broke off the cast iron timing chain cover. I reported it to Cadillac in hope of them standing by their product and customer loyalty and in turn they have said its not covered under the powertrain warranty. At Cadillacs request, I had the car towed to Don Massey Cadillac because they were supposed to have a reputation for good customer service. That is very wrong. They took almost 5 days to look at my car and give a diagnosis. Now the mechanic that is going to fix the car is on vacation and has three weeks of work before he could get to my car. If the dealership would have looked at the car in a timely manner the mechanic could have looked at it sooner and at least got the parts ordered. I am now going to be at least another month without my car because Cadillac wasted my time. I will NEVER buy another Cadillac or GM product. This car has never been abused or had modifications done to it. Every oil change has had synthetic oil put into it. I am very dissatisfied with the Cadillac brand of luxury. There is nothing luxury about how they treat their customers.
Cadillac ELR Electric is absolutely the best car I have ever had and even now, I own 12 other cars. Being that is electric, makes all the difference since I put gas once a month since it runs a generator engine that charges the batteries. I am saving SO much money and have not had one simple issue in the last 4 years. I love my Cadillac.
Cadillac offers an excellent variety of models. The color and shape were perfect. The insides were good enough for my kids and their friends. Plenty of room for furniture and others. It has definitely made many changes to its next model and you can see the improvements on the car. And the way their people talked and were polite made me feel like they really wanted to sell me the car that would really help me.
Cadillac SRX 2011 - The check engine light has come on 5x in the last 2 months. Each time the dealer says it is the same code some type of transmission sensor. Had it at the dealer Thursday & light came on Saturday. Rattle in front of car & dealer said cant find anything. This is the performance collection & sometimes it shifts like it is in the performance mode when it is not. First & last experience with a Cadillac. It only has 49,000 miles & I have had more issues with this car than any other car I have owned.
We have a 14 ats. We bought new.. The cue cracked 2-3 later, it was under warranty so they fixed it.... Now it’s cracking again... They told us it’s a flaw that they screwed up, they should keep fixing it... And fix it right... We paid a lot of money for this car.
Cadillac offer coupes and SUVs that has some of the top technology brands. They are amazing, sleek and modern which can accommodate anyone’s needs. The dealerships do a wonderful job at upgrading and detailing your car anyway you please. Cadillac is known for having some of the most spacious vehicles that can accommodate the smallest to biggest families. Any family would be proud to own this brand for its reliability.
There are many variations of Cadillac and all of them are premier cars. They are very comfortable to ride in. The car that we own is bright red and it has several added options such as heated seats in the front and the back, a heated steering wheel and back-up sensors. It has a sun roof and a CD player. It has the ability to save the settings for the seat and the pedals for up to two people. Also it has push button start. It has a large interior and has room for two people in the front and three people in the backseat with enough room to be comfortable.
Never owned a Cadillac before but it being a big name decided to give it a try. What a mistake. 2010 srx before I got home with it cost 3795.00 for headlight and installed. Sway bar bushings went. Last week a squeal and vibration came in it. A seized universal which you cant buy have to but the complete drive shaft, 1300.00. So put it in the dealers to get it fixed. They couldnt get the drive shaft out of the transfer case seized in and cant buy parts. Had to get a whole new transfer case that there was nothing wrong with in the first place 1795.00. So they agreed to go 50/50 but still cost me 1995.00. What a rip off. Disgusted with GM.
Bought a 2011. After 3 months one headlight went out. Had water condensation inside. 1500.00 to replace whole seal and light. Now I have had car 18 months the other headlight did the same. Call Cadillac Corporate. They acted like they had never heard of this. There 100s of complaints about this online. They were no help. No discount to help. Nothing. Dont buy a Cadillac. Seems like they are not the car they use to be!
Cadillac had a lot of selections of cars to choose from. I was really impressed with the amount of inventory they could fit in a showroom. They have good sales people, too. They will let you upgrade the heck out of the car just as long as you have the money for them. You can do it all if you want to spend. I knew the car was upgraded but the features were great and I could not believe it had so many different bells and whistles. You can also fit a lot of things and people in this car. It is quite roomy.
So far I have had nothing but problems with my 2009 CTS. Ive gotten to the point where I absolutely regret even seeing it for sale on the lot, I wish I had bought ANYTHING else. I bought the car last year with around 80k miles on it. The first thing that should have been a sign that their customer service was in the toilet was when my local Cadillac dealer did a $100 oil change for me. They failed to attach the rock shield to the bottom of the car and after it tore off sounding like all hell breaking loose in their lot, they blamed me for my car missing a screw.. underneath... like I daily check those screws. And if it was missing why the heck did it stay on the car until they worked on it? My car is still naked under there. Thanks Cadillac. After a month of having the car I get the check engine light. I connect to OnStar who tells me my Auxiliary Water pump is going out. $250 later thats all better. After two months my rear door locks stopped working, I called the dealer and gave up when I was quoted $400 in labor alone. Fast forward another two months and now my car consistently overheats. Additionally I got that bad water pump code AGAIN (gosh those things are made well) - $250 AGAIN and its all better. My Daytime running lights go on and off randomly, one at a time. I look so great in my car. No one even has a clue as to why this is happening. Now my Forward adaptive lighting has started to malfunction. The passenger side bulb has turned completely purple, which sounds cool but none of the other ones are. I didnt mind replacing it myself so I started looking into it. So I have to remove the entire front of the car to change the headlight. OK no problem, Im no Einstein but I can handle some screws right? That wouldnt be a problem if I could find the bulb.I contacted Customer Service and they were anything but friendly. I tried to get help finding out where to get the bulb, but the guy copied and pasted me a bunch of website addresses that I had already searched to no avail trying to find the headlight assembly. Then asked me what I was hoping to get from contacting them, what an **. I just WANT A PART NUMBER. WHY IS THAT SO HARD?At this point Ive decided I HATE my car and Cadillac in general. I thought they had really shifted gears, and I really enjoyed my older V which is why I bought this car, but boy howdy this is the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned. So now I have a 2009 Cadillac that I cant lock the doors on or drive at night, and Im scared to take it out of town because Im afraid the mystery auxiliary water pump will strand me. Im borrowing a friends 2000 Toyota to make my trip. Is this really the new Cadillac? I feel duped, tricked and stuck with this thing. If anyone from Cadillac happens to see this, Id love to know where to get that bulb. Im visually impaired in one eye so having two headlights would be great. Let me know.
I bought a 2007 Cadillac CTS about 3 years ago and the car only have 51,000 miles right now and is in the dealer getting a major repair because half of the motor has no compression. The car had no oil but the engine light never turned on to let me know. And once the car stopped running, that was when the engine light finally turned on. I really dont know what good is to complain if I am not going to get the repair for free but, it would be nice if all these complaints about Cadillac go public on national television. The government bailed out GM with the tax payer money and they are still screwing up. That car was my dream car and now, its my nightmare car. I will never buy a Cadillac again.
Do not ever buy a Cadillac. I am on my second SRX, the first was totaled and was the standard model 2011. I upgraded to a 2015 and was excited about the luxury features. Heritage Cadillac in Cobb County sold me a vehicle with a frozen CUE screen and luckily I caught it and they replaced it immediately the day after I drove it off the lot. Then I slowly realized my headlights werent working properly over the following months. They seemed too dim but they were on. Finally after the second time somebody almost hit me at night I knew something was amiss. I googled and sure enough, lawsuits and complaints! I will never buy another GM car and I am beyond disgusted that a dealership would knowingly sell me a car with faulty parts without disclosing the information beforehand! I cannot WAIT to get in on this headlight class action lawsuit! Buyer Beware! Once GM agrees to pay for these lights Im getting them fixed and trading it in for a Mercedes!
I purchased a brand new Cadillac SRX in 2012. I have just a little over 50,000 miles and already I need an alternator which is costing me a little over $600. Someone should be responsible other than myself. Theres always a recall on these cars. I think as much as they cost the warranty should be longer and your parts should not go out as quickly as they do. A brand new car that has only been driven 52000 miles and your alternator is going out. GM should be responsible all the maker of the alternator.
Bought a Cadillac XT5 in December. Been in the shop 4 times for the same problem. According to the dealer theres no fix available till sometime in May. The vehicle falls under the Missouri lemon law. Dealership trying its best to help us. District manager/gm being difficult to deal with. Called owner assistance. Now we wait. Worst car we ever bought. Wife afraid to drive it. Please note this is the 3rd caddy we have owned and our last one ever...
I purchased an extended warranty from Cadillac for $3,500. The warranty has the Cadillac Warranty all over the papers that were signed. My engine blew after 3 years (80k miles) and Cadillac said the manufacturers warranty was over and the warranty THEY sold me they could not support since it was a third party warranty. Facts: This is not a Cadillac Warranty. After numerous calls Cadillac informed me it was not their warranty and they could not help (even though their logo is all over what was sold). Cadillac is given incentives to sell third party warranties and allows them to put their logos on the warranty to make it appear it is a Cadillac sponsor and supported warranty. Third party warranty held my car for over month to fix while only giving 10 days of vehicle rental allowance. Third party failed to rebuild engine and it went out again and wanted to charge me additional $3,500 to fix after it. This happened the moment I drove it off of lot from dealership that was paid to replace it. Beware of what you are signing. The dealership I purchased this from has said their hands are tied due to Cadillac not supporting them in helping the consumer. After spending $90k on a vehicle I expected more from a brand and the services they sell you.
Cadillac has very distinct look that can be seen near and afar. It has a quality of car features that outlooks all others, that stands out above all else. Cadillac Escalade trucks, three different versions of the Cadillac cars in town to sporty. Love that they are SUVs, cars, trucks, just a difference variety of quality vehicles. On sat, digital and WiFi, on star cruise control, anti-lock brake systems, back-up navigation, GPS, a rd and American quality that far extended and exceeds. Love the way it steers and the smooth driving experience. Can hold a lot of stuff... a trunk that could hold a elephant. It is a electrified experience and the make of it lets more people fit into her.
I think the Cadillac is one of the most beautiful vehicles there is. They have a high class look and the interior is always immaculate. They are always one of the first to upgrade to the highest quality of merchandise and are always up to date. The technology is always high class and superb, and I am always happy with the newest gadgets they have. They offer a very good variety of cars and I was very happy when Cadillac started making bigger vehicles. I have a very big family and want to stay with the Cadillac brand but definitely needed the space. The only problem I had is my Cadillac caught on fire eight days after I had it.
Cadillac DHS 2003 - Just read a comment by an owner of a 2003 Cadillac and I wanted to respond with What are you doing with my car? I have had to replace the transmission, rack & pinion, numerous window regulators, A/C compressor etc and now the intake manifold gasket. One would think that after building cars for a hundred years, and the humiliation of putting (the once revered) Cadillac name on the Cimarron, that taking some pride in engineering components shouldnt be asking too much.
Well beloved Cadillac and GM owners, we all bought into the American dream and were betrayed. My story is exactly the same as everyone else. Radiator blows out of nowhere. I was told I was liable for the damages. Dex coolant issue. Im distressed to hear the exact same thing has happened to several others. I told the service center manager to cut his ** and he sounded like he was about to have a nervous breakdown. I am glad to see others testimony; however, Im disturbed because its like deja vu.People need to stop lying down on these issues. People (GM) need to be held accountable. The government needs to listen to the people about GM. Our economy is going to collapse if people believe they are being betrayed simply for buying into the American dream. This is not the way to instill buying confidence in the American consumer. Toyota, Acura, Honda, Mitsubishi, okay. But in the immortal words of Woody Harrelsons character in Zombieland, You dont ** with another mans Cadillac.Protest to your local dealership, throw hundreds of business cards/flyers across their lots with statements of your experience. If everyone has the same stories, it will pick up attention. Post Facebook articles or comment on fan pages (there are a few). We are not complaining about our government or other free services and I know none of us expect a handout. We are complaining about being lied to for being hardworking, taxpaying, American car owners. However, in the end, we are suckers. Buddhists, Communists, etc., have warned us about the trappings of consumerism and that we were being sold a bill of goods. As much as it kills me to say it as an American military veteran, maybe they were right.
I am disappointed that 3 out the 4 window regulators on my 2004 DeVille needed to be replaced by 2010. This is quality? This is Cadillac. Its very dangerous on the highway when your window slides into the door at 60 to 70mph in inclement weather.
Theyre very good and they have great offers and standard options. Their cars have only had a great look which only got better with time and such comfortable seating and beautiful interior with a great-looking dashboard. The car also comes with many great upgradable options like real leather interior as well as different add on options that make the car more functional like a whisper quiet. Also, it is plenty big to fit at least 7 passengers and more so theres room to store all your crap with plenty of space that you want to look at your other passengers.
2004 Cadillac Deville - The first regulator failed ($366.78) 2010, service advisor said a common problem for the vehicle. The second regulator ($319.23) failed in 2012 - different dealership service advisor said known problem for the vehicle. In 2012 I emailed Cadillac to see if they would cover these repairs. Escalated in GM several levels but ultimately they denied there was a problem - the parts not defective, the failure because they were beyond expected life cycle. Today the third regulator failed. This vehicle has 51000 miles and the rear windows were rarely used if ever. I have 3 other GM vehicles (92 Cadillac Allante, 1994 Saturn, 1998 Cad Deville) - no regulator problems.
We leased a Cadillac ATS turbo 2013. Thank God that we leased this vehicle and not purchased it. The car exterior is very appealing. The interior is not bad, the CUE system is horrible to operate while driving. Handling is very good, acceleration is excellent. But we have been having problems with this vehicle ever since we got it. It had front end problems twice, the radio is basically obsolete since its always acquiring the HD signal and is not pleasant to hear, already had about 7 recalls on it. Every couple of months the car goes back to the shop for different problems. As a matter of fact its in the shop now. There was noise coming from the engine and they found loose screws. The car had a terrible vibration on rear window area so they notified me that all 4 rims are bent due to potholes. Now how can that be possible? I have owned about 15 different vehicles and not one of them ever had a problem with a bent rim nevermind all 4 of them. My opinion is that these rims were made with cheap materials and have a design fault. This has to be the worst vehicle we have ever had and theres no pleasure in driving it. Maybe I got a lemon but I have received no help from the dealership.
Cadillac is a luxury brand everyone will love. They combine good looks with advanced technology, great craftsmanship and reliability. They transform every drive into a masterful experience. They have coupes to sedans to v-series to crossovers to SUVs. You can personalize almost every aspect of your vehicle, from the color to the wheels to the trim. Also, you can personalize the floor mats to the sound system, from media system to navigation. The escalade can carry up 7 people. The front and second-row seating have captain chair and then the third-row seating is a bench style which will fit another 3 passengers.
Earnhardt Cadillac, Scottsdale LIES AND COVERS UP, WHAT A CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE! In January of 2011, I purchased a 2008 Cadillac STS in excellent condition, with less than 20,000 miles 20,000 ARIZONA MILES! That means no snow exposure and little, if any at all, rain exposure. With such low mileage and the excellent condition of the car, I was looking forward to several years of enjoying it.Cadillac vehicles have been a constant in my family for as long as I can remember. My grandfather bought a new one every 12-18 months and my father has ALWAYS had a Cadillac - a new one every 2 years. I was excited to continue this family tradition. I took extra special care of the cars I do all my cars. I purchased the extended warranty and serviced the car, oil changes and ALL other service, ONLY at Legends Cadillac, which became Earnhardt. In the early part of 2014, my car began making an unusual noise only upon the first cold start in the morning. Of course, I took the car to Earnhardt for a diagnosis. I was told that the service department was unable to replicate the noise and thus could not provide a diagnosis, but that the car seemed to check out and be running just fine. There were no concerns. The power train warranty expired at the end of June, while the car was still well below 70,000 miles. In August of this year, while driving with my 2 young children, I received a message stating OIL LOW, TURN OFF CAR. I was able to drive to the dealership for service. This appointment revealed only, according to JD our service manager, that an oil pressure sensor wire had come loose causing the alert message. I asked if this could be related to the noise that they had been unable to diagnose, which had significantly worsened over time. JD told me no, stated that the car was running fine and sent me on my way.A couple of weeks ago, with the noise now EXTREMELY loud and a noticeable hesitation on acceleration, my wife contacted JD and told him that there was definitely a problem and demanded to drop the car off at service. Two days later, I received a call from JD stating that there was a major problem, oil pressure related, that had caused extensive damage to the engine and would cost $4,800.00 to repair! Oil pump issue. I ended the conversation knowing that I did not have $4,800.00 laying around and available, to fix the car. I also stated that a Cadillac that has been babied, with less than 70,000 miles, should absolutely not have repair issue of this magnitude.I then received a call from JD, much later the same day, stating that he had taken it upon himself and spent several hours on the phone with Cadillac, going to bat for me, to have the repair costs reduced. He then revealed a reduced repair cost of $1,800.00, and acted as though I should be forever grateful for this good deed on behalf of himself and Cadillac?? This good deed, if anything, indicates to me a sense of guilt or responsibility. I responded stating that this was still an enormous amount of money and a problem that should not exist at less than 70,000 miles. Additionally, I reminded him that I had brought the car in to service, prior to the expiration of the Power Train warranty, for this issue AND that the car had been in service for an OIL PRESSURE ISSUE in August. Again, he mentioned the good deed offer that Cadillac was willing to extend. My wife went to the dealership to pick up the car. She requested full service records and was told by JD, that he was unable to print them, and that he could only see them on his computer screen. He blamed this issue on the Legends/Earnhardt transition. My wife insisted on obtaining the service records, even if it meant that she would need to take pictures of his computer screen showing the records. JD replied saying that he would try. He then returned 10 minutes later with printed service records. My wife noticed that the most recent records were missing and asked JD about them. He acted surprised and said that he would check again. He returned with the service record from August 2014. My wife proceeded to ask about the record for when the car was brought to service for the unidentifiable noise, PRIOR TO THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY EXPIRATION. She was told, by JD, that because there was no service completed, there was no official record of the visit?!?!?In summation, neither Earnhardt nor GM/Cadillac, has made any attempt to follow up with me regarding the situation, even though I have pursued an answer on a management level. They have clearly demonstrated that the loyalty in this relationship was one sided, on my part, and that they clearly do not value my business. Do yourself a favor, STEER CLEAR OF EARNHARDT CADILLAC IN SCOTTSDALE, AND CADILLAC IN GENERAL!
I bought a 2005 Cadillac CTS. I was having to constantly put oil in it. I changed it every 3000 miles. I went to visit my dad in Iowa. During the first four hours, we had to add 4 quarts of oil to the car. Then 20 minutes from our destination, we hear a pop. The car engine dies. No brakes while driving 70 miles an hour. Thank God no one got hurt or died. We had it towed to the car repair shop. They said the engine is shot and I needed a new one. Upon researching we find out through numerous blogs that this is a constant problem with the CTS for this year, happened to numerous people and yet Cadillac does nothing to warn people or to repair the issues. What are they waiting for, people to die? Someone needs to do something about this. They should not be allowed to charge you a ton of money for their elite cars that have issues, get complaints, but yet do nothing about it.
2014 Cadillac CTS trunk issue - Trunk doesnt open at random times. Dealer in Vero Beach, Fl has been unable to solve the issue. I cant trust the car. Would never buy another Cadillac. Two times I was unable to retrieve my golf clubs and unable to play and missed my tee times. I will never put groceries in the trunk.
I bought a 2016 Cadillac CTS in JULY 2018 at CADILLAC OF GREENWICH. THIS WAS CAUGHT ON VIDEO (DASH CAM, WITNESSES) was driving with my wife and my brother in a very TOURISTIC part of NYC (59th st and 5th Avenue). The car started emitting smoke and the hood went in complete flames. Thank god we came out of the car on time and the FIRE DEPARTMENT broke the hood and put out the fire. We were told that the damage even got to the gas line since gas was leaking and the brakes also stopped working. If the fire wouldn’t have been put out in 2-3 minutes we would’ve all exploded and many tourists (innocent bystanders) would have died. Mechanics are saying that the cause was because of FAULTY manufacturing inside of the hood. The Cadillac dealership washed their hands and don’t want to accept responsibility. NOBODY WANTS TO TOUCH THE CAR and I don’t have comprehensive insurance so they are useless. My car is considered total loss even though it wasn’t my fault, I was sold a faulty car. Cadillac of Greenwich promised to honor my warranty till 100,000 miles and it was “luxury” which was a lie, I have it all on text messages. The guy RAJ pressured me into trading my old ATS and telling me the New car was luxury and it wasn’t. I confronted him after I found out (a week of having the car) and all he said “oh sorry I thought it was luxury.” Since first day of driving off the lot, I’ve been having issues with the car, I went MORE than 5 times back to the dealership to fix many issues especially something with engine and transmission because the car was jerking. They “tried” to fix it but said that there’s nothing they could do.They were pressuring me so much to buy the car because it seems like they wanted to get rid of it. I called Cadillac customer service and they are just delaying everything. I’m hiring a lawyer and to sue them. I suffered loss and I almost died!!!! I have proof please contact me for more info. I have messages, Pictures, Videos, Witnesses. DONT EVER BUY FROM CADILLAC.
Great car. I have the 6-speed manual transmission and 2.0 turbo engine. Great combo and a lot of fun. Super handling and great gas mileage. Easy shifting. Its fun to drive and not something most people even know about.
I bought a 2009 CTS top of the line model in March of this year 500 miles after I left the dealership the check engine light came on. I put it in Levis Cadillac in Slidell, LA, for two weeks they had it and said that it was a problem with the coolant area of the car and that they had fixed it. Well in two weeks the light came on again, GUESS WHAT, the same problem. OK back to the shop I go, this time it was the end of April and they had the car for (three) weeks. I picked the car up in or on May 20th drove out the service dept. I went 25 miles, THE LIGHT CAME AGAIN !!! So I finished my business in New Orleans, LA and took it back to the Levis Cadillac. They said they would call Cadillac Technical for help. They told them to replace the same parts as before and it should be fixed. It has taken them and Cadillac until yesterday which was JUNE 25TH to so called fix the car. I picked it up at 10:30 - got on the Highway to go to the VA Hospital in New Orleans. NOW THIS IS THE PART I JUST CANT BELIEVE, THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN on my way to my doctors appointment. When I got done at the V A I drove straight back to the dealership service department and they said they would be happy to look at but its the same problem, OH MY GOD. Could someone help me out. I bought this Cadillac CTS and have only put 750 miles on it since. The car only has 46,058 miles on it! I feel like a total jerk. Ive owned 5 Cadillacs and I also own a 06 STS4, and I have had all kinds of problems with it. Well I think its time for me to reevaluate my GM LOYALTY. This sucks.......
I bought my 2013 SRX used at a reputable dealership in August 2016. It had 39,000 miles, one owner, and a clean Carfax. I was in love! During the signing of paperwork, the finance manager asked me about the extended warranty and explained to me that I might want it because it was already used, but my choice of course. I am SOOO glad I took it because it has saved me twice already! In August 2017, I had to extensive work done to the transmission. I was without my car for 2 weeks while that problem was solved. In February 2018, just 6 months later, I was on my way out of town. I pulled out from a stoplight, accelerated to 45 and all heck broke loose. I heard a bang and felt like I had run over something. Every light on the instrument panel turned on, I lost power steering, brakes, and the engine was knocking. I managed to steer it to a median where it completely died on me. I called OnStar, got it towed to the dealership, and waited to hear what was wrong. Four days later, I am told that it dropped a valve and I would need a whole new engine. It only has 54,000 miles!!! Is this the kind of shotty product that Cadillac is putting out now? I am beyond frustrated! If it wasnt for the additional warranty that I purchased, I would be without a car because I couldnt afford the cost of a new engine. I do not understand how a company that is supposed to have this great reputation is now putting out vehicles of such poor quality. The customer service with Cadillac is awful as well. You cant get anyone to answer a question in a straightforward way. This was my first and last Cadillac. I love the car, but I cannot have this stress or an unreliable vehicle transporting my family.
Drive shaft center support rubber grommet deteriorated causing a thumping noise when accelerating. Cadillac said no replacement parts are available and I need the entire drive shaft. Drive shaft part alone is between $680 to $800 depending upon VIN. This part is a Carrier Bearing, for the rest of the world, and they have been available from every manufacturer I can think of $60-$70. And the Cadillac dealer sends me their new car literature?
There is a saying that “car salesmen are the worst people in the world”. Now that may not be true for all of them, but that saying runs true for the salesmen at Delaware Cadillac. I will try to make this as short as possible, but I wish would have read something like this before I did business with that devil dealership. I had an ATS and made the mistake of leasing the vehicle its first year out. It was nothing but problems, so with 6 months left on the lease Michael ** at the dealership said he would get me out of lease and into a new one. I did not want to do this, but the tires were shot on my original ATS so I caved in. Now that being said, all I asked for on the new vehicle was normal non garbage run flat tires. Well I did not find out until a year into the lease that ** gave me a vehicle with run flat tires. When I called to discuss this he said “it was a mistake in the paperwork and I could bring the car there (an hour away) and they would fix it. He wouldn’t send me to my local dealership because they save money on the parts. I also had the cue system break and it took almost the entire summer to get the part in and working again, so basically went the whole summer without air conditioning. Lastly ** tried to get me when I turned the piece of ** car in. The vehicle came with 4500 miles on it and I was allotted 15k a year. ** explained to me that I could turn the car in and the original 4500 miles wouldn’t count. Well when I turned the car in the evil devil piece of ** Mike sent me a bill for $700 of over mileage charges. I had to get a lawyer involved and General Motors ended up seeing it was a scam and I did not have to pay, yet they wonder why people go crazy. I have waited almost 5 years to write this review, karma will come around and get ** back, I hope he starves but this review is a start. If I can stop at least one person from buying or leasing from this dealership then I have done my job.
I bought a 2007 Cadillac CTS in January 2013. It was a one owner garage kept gem. I thought. It wasnt a few months later that we had it in the shop for a catalytic converter replacement. With only 55,000 miles on it! Then we discovered that the trunk was full of water below the spare tire! What the heck? This is a Cadillac! Not an economy car! My family has had Cadillacs for generations and never had any problems. I thought it may just be my luck but when I went online I found out that I wasnt alone. Cadillac is losing a lot of customers and Im one. Today we took it to the shop to have a flickering headlight checked and we were told it would cost over $500 to have it fixed! This isnt the Cadillac I grew up around and I PROMISE its getting traded off soon and Ill NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER GM PRODUCT AGAIN. DISGUSTING!
I bought a 2012 Cadillac SRX 9/26/2016, its my first Cadillac and I take pride in all my vehicles. Since having this vehicle, replaced alternator in November 2016 because it went bad (Figure that) $475.00 later. Now Im taking it to the dealer again for my manual lift-gate because I cant open from outside of vehicle. My mechanic said its a wiring problem because the rear defroster, rear wipers, license plate light and lift-gate light are not working. He would of fixed this but he doesnt work on very many Cadillacs. I even called Cadillac and they said it would be under powertrain warranty if it happened in 2016 or under 50,000 miles. I told them Im under 50,000 miles and I bought 9/2016. They said I would have to bite the bullet and get the electrical looked at. Customer service is below expectations even after finding out that the lift gates have been a problem for this year. Its hard to believe that so many customers have problems and nothing is resolved. The customer doesnt have a open checkbook to fix these problems that should of been a recall in the first place to correct any and all factory issues. Anyways thanks for reading.
Over 2 weeks ago, the brakes on my 2007 Cadillac DTS suddenly felt soft as I was going down a hill. This was immediately followed by the following warning signs lighting up on the dash: Check Brake System, Check Brake Assist, Check Traction Control. I managed to get the car down the hill without going over the edge and took it to the GM dealer in town for repair. They advised me that 3 of the brakes needed to be replaced but that there was one part they did not have in stock. After a week of them being unable to locate a dealer in Kentucky that had this part, they were allowed to access GMs system where GM locates and arranges for shipment of the needed part. More than 2 weeks have now passed and no part has been forthcoming, nor do I have any idea when (if???) the part will arrive. So meantime, I and the dealership are a captive audience to this. I would trade the damn thing in but not for another GM product; except, of course, I cant move it as it has no brakes. It is just stuck there in the dealers service department while GM has failed to find and provide the needed part. What happened to the law that says auto manufacturers must make and retain parts for every vehicle they make within a ten-year period? I am not sure how to proceed from here as to if it would do any good to complain to the federal government with regards to lack of available parts or whether to go see a lawyer.
I have a 2004 Cadillac Deville DTS. I bought it with 8,000 miles. Now, its 150,000 miles and mostly highway miles. Further, its always garaged and in immaculate condition and religiously maintained at dealership. But three window regulators required replacing, including both rear doors. Now, the drivers side rear door needs a regulator and/or a control module. That door has to be manually locked or unlocked now. I have no kids, and I live alone. No one uses that door but me to carry groceries. Estimate again is $500 or so. I planned to replace this car at 200,000 miles. I have not decided that Im willing to spend another $500 on the windows and door locks. Mechanical problems at this mileage would be acceptable to a degree. However, the same failures of electrical components that secure the vehicle and passenger safety are unacceptable for a vehicle of this promoted quality. My replacement car will not be a GM vehicle.
My 2016 Cadillac ATS is presently at the dealership being tested for a jerky transmission ride--they apparently cant find anything wrong with it! When placed in Drive, it is not a smooth transmission but when I disengage the stop-engine feature it is a little better but not much. Ironically you have to DISENGAGE the stop engine feature on the car since the default is always ON! Ive driven GM cars, including Cadillac for 50 years and this is the most disconcerting ride of any car Ive owned. Curious if others are experiencing this same difficulty?
2014 Cadillac XTS4. Owning this car has been a nightmare. I have had constant problems with the CUE system and the suspension. It’s ridiculous that GM and their dealerships know that there is a problem with these vehicles but want us as owners to foot the bill for their craftsmanship.
A very dependable car, very comfortable and has class. I have owned 4 Cadillac vehicles and find them to be very dependable and up to todays technology. I have owned 2 Lincoln vehicles and was not too happy with the mechanics of these cars. Cadillac manufacturers are better built vehicle and they stand behind their products.
My son graduated from college last month and was lucky enough to find a job prior to graduating. He bought his first nice car, a beautiful 2005 STS Cadillac. We noticed that the car was burning oil. In 4,000 miles, the car went through 7 quarts of oil which is unbelievable for a car with 62,000 miles and had been serviced 36 times by Cadillac dealerships according to the faux report. The dealership tells us that the car needs new pistons and rings. The cost is $3,500 to fix the vehicle. When we bought the car, it had a $1,500 guarantee if there were any problems with the car. They do this on different brands of used cars. I emailed GM Cadillac division and received an email that they were happy to help and would contact us the next day which they did. I explained to them that there has been multiple complaints about that model and that this was a defect and I would hope they could help my son with the cost of the overhaul. The second person I talked to told me that the most they could help was the $1,500 from the dealership like they were involved which this was already offered from the lot where we bought the car. I then asked for the supervisor whose name is Roy. I told him that I have never heard of a car with 66,000 miles going through 7 quarts of oil in 4,000 miles and especially a high-end car. The bottom line is he said there’s nothing he could do about it. I realized that there is probably nothing that can be done but I am in customer service for a large company and cant believe that they offered no help especially with social media nowadays.
We bought this car used in 2013. For the most part, we have been satisfied with the car. Wish trunk was bigger. Mid 2014, begin to have problem with key getting stuck in the ignition and could not remove it. If I turned on and off several, would eventually come out. Had to be careful to make sure everything was turned off (radio, heater) or battery would be drained if left very long. Gas gauge would register empty. Received a recall in September 2014. Took in and they could not do anything because the key was stuck in the ignition and they could not get it out. Took in the next week and something was done the keys. The following week, the key again stuck after returning from grocery. Forgot to go back out and try to get out. The next morning, battery was drained, called for jump start. Could not jump. New battery purchased in November 2014. Had to have car towed to GM dealer on Friday. Had to call on Monday to see what status was. Nothing had been done. Electronic control module was replaced as no communication could be made with the car. Cost, $693.00. Was advised that there could be other issues that occur after this. Anyone know what these issues could be?
Cadillac is above the rest of the field when it comes to luxury... I would repeat buy a Cadillac every time so you should too. Good mpg. They have push button start and leather winter packages and all wheel drive depending on where you live so it easy to get around in crap conditions. They offer a variety of different types of vehicles that cater to your needs from 2 kids and above plus DVD for kids. Cant beat it thats for sure. Also, all kinds of different types of vehicles to choose from whether you need room big trunks or class. They have it all. Just see a dealer to fit your needs.
I own a 2002 Cadillac Deville. I have had continual problems with all of my automatic windows. Basically, all four windows have broken at least once in the three years I have owned this car. The windows go down, but they will not go up. I have had at least two or three of these windows fail at least two times. I have had one window fail 3 times. The cost of repairing these windows is approximately $300.00 to $400 a piece. I have come to learn (from the Frank ** Service Manager) that this particular is a well known design flaw with the Cadillac Deville. They have seen this issue with many customers on a repeated basis. I think this demonstrated a design problem with this car and has nothing to do with normal wear-and-tear. First, GM should be ashamed of not fixing this issue and having a recall. I would like to get a refund for my latest repair. I have no problem contacting my local FOX TV affiliate in Dallas/FW and make them aware of this issue. They have a reporter that handles issues such as these. I will send you my latest repair bill for $500.00 and then I will sell this car. What a disgrace of a product.
Lots of option choices to customize your experience. Highly recommend getting something you will use or just something you think is cool and will love. Highly recognizable from a distance. Sets this car apart from most. You can fit more people comfortably in this car than youd think. Its a full size car with plenty of leg room for driver and passengers. Standard features are incredible for any brand of vehicle but options are even better. The standard package alone is enough to want this car but add options to it and its unbelievable. Stereos, wheels, GPS, etc. The list goes on forever. Look up a dealer online and check it out. Go for a test drive! You wont regret it!
Cadillacs models are all really cool and I like them and I wish I could buy them all but I cant because who has that kind of money? I drive an escalade which is a huge vehicle with lots of space. It has got a rugged design which I like a lot and it makes for good business. It is a very huge car and can seat 7 people which is enough for birthday groups, road trips and all sorts of crazy adventures. So I really really like it and I hope it is a feature they do not take away because then I would be sad.
The GPS quit working. I thought it was a scratched disk or something simple because the radio and CD player works fine. I went to the Lexington dealer and they told me I would have to replace the whole unit at a price of $4700 plus installation. I bought the Platinum Escalade in 2009 for over $70000 with just 60000 miles. Im upset.
I bought a new 2011 Escalade ESV. The rims are rusting and flaking, and the chrome trim package is rusting. Cadillac and the dealership’s response is that its from chemicals put on the road and its not their problem. My Escalade never is dirty. When I drive on snowy roads, its washed immediately. In 45 years of owning vehicles, Ive never had a vehicle with rust problems. I bought an $82,000 Escalade. I have rust issues and I have lived in snow country all my life so I know all about chemicals on the roads. This is my last Cadillac. Dont make the same mistake I did. Stay away from Cadillac. I thought that at least Cadillac would come back with an offer to replace rusting rims and trim at their cost or a discounted price. They made no attempt to rectify the problem. Cadillac customer service very poor and Cadillac is not concerned about your problems.
The Cadillac brand models are varied with respect to the type of environment where they are condescending. This brand is so recognized in the world for the quality and design of its cars. There are few updates that I made to my Cadillac since it is a classic model, however the ones that are made are excellent, you could say that they have given the size. The design of the car allows it to be more spacious, I can usually get up to 6 people of medium size in my car.
Bought a 2015 Escalade in August 2014. Ever since then I have had nothing but problems. Had taken my car in for a vibration when I reached 70mph. Each time I had to pay out of pocket because they thought my tires needed to be balanced. The problem was still not fixed. The third time I complained and mentioned I do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle while we go out of state and demanded that they figure it out because its not the tires needing to be balanced. They fixed the problem but less than a week later, my vehicle is not blowing any cold air. I live in South Texas and it gets hot here and needless to say I also have a 2 year old who I will not put in that hot vehicle even with the windows rolled down. I brought my vehicle the day I notice the ac was out and they couldnt even look at it. Much less they didnt have any loaners to provide.I have had the worst experience with Cadillac and I will never buy another one. Also, not even having a vehicle to provide for the meantime is disappointing. I paid cash for this vehicle and they could care less if you dont have ac. I left a message to my service tech and havent received a callback. I will be trading my vehicle in for a more liable one, because not only is this an inconvenience, but I didnt pay 80k for my vehicle to give me these problems. Forgot to mention, I never even heard from the service manager or GM. If I knew a customer is having all these problems, I would make sure their needs were met. Thank you Cadillac. The only helpful person is my sales representative who doesnt have much say when it comes to service.
Two criminals broke into my garage and stole my locked Cadillac CTS with ease. My wallet, purse, license, more than ten credit cards, and many other items of value were in the car, and still, havent been recovered. I called the police and was told that the car would stop in about a half mile. That was not the case. They stopped to get snacks and completely trashed the car, before going on a joyride in circles across town. The police ended up finding the car, one of the criminals was found, the other took off with my purse, which contained once again, my wallet (which contained more than two hundred dollars.), around ten credit cards, both my drivers and military license, and many others valuables. They also found meth in the car. Wonderful. When we spoke to the police about the incident, they had no words. They told us to go straight to the manufacturers about this, as they were clueless how this occurred. How my Cadillac CTS was able to drive OVER fifty miles without keys! When we spoke with the man who broke into the car, he didnt even know how it worked. Meaning that the car drove without any help. He was charged with theft, breaking and entering, and possession of narcotics. he dropped his partner off somewhere before he was caught, we told him we would drop some of the charges if he gave her, and the money up, but he wouldnt budge. His partner is STILL missing with all of my belongings. I would NEVER recommend this to friends or family, or anyone really. After doing research, I have found that this is not the first time that a Cadillac CTS has driven without keys, allowing criminals to get away with thousands of dollars, and other important items. Another customer lost, Cadillac. I will be going to the media and sharing this, to ensure nothing similar to this happens again.
I purchased a brand new Caddilac ATS in Sept 2014. In only 13months now, its been back to the dealer 7 times for vehicle problems. 3 times were recalls of which there was a recall on the recall!! Since Sept 2015 there has been a HORRIBLE EXTREME ODOR coming from the heating/air system. Called GM several times, after 5 calls Im still waiting for a callback to resolve this problem of a HORRIBLE smell thats making me sick!!! At this point, Im going to hire an attorney!!! GM NEEDS TO BUY THIS CAR BACK!!!
I have a 2015 XTS and the crackling in the left and right corners of the Cue screen is the least of the problem, now my radio is selecting its own stations, is flipping from media to radio on its own, as well as all of the station data is racing across the screen to the left continuously. Today, the local Dale Earnhardt GM Dealer said that it was becoming a common problem, the unit was on back-order until the end of September (it is now the middle of August) and will cost $1,475.12 to replace. This is my third and last Cadillac nor will I recommend that any of my friends buy Cadillac. The manufacturer should not place sub-par components in a $60K vehicle.
I purchased a 2013 Cadillac ATS in November 2012 and it has been in the shop twice since I purchased the vehicle. The first time was for four (4) days and the second time for 11 days. The service department has informed me on both occasions that they found the problem and are fixing it, but this time what they thought was the problem and fixed was not the problem. They got another part in hopes of resolving the situation.
In April 2006, I purchased Cadillac STS V8, 1G6DC67A760130685/130685, from your Agent in Oman (Oman Technical Establishment). The navigation system was out of date and the TV reception was very poor. We took the car to the agent for repair. Unfortunately, they were not helpful and their reply was unsatisfactory. They told us that the TV reception is poor in all STS model and that they have no solution to it. With regard to the navigation system, they told us that we should pay considerable amount for updating it. The car was returned to us.At the beginning of May 2012, the audio system in the car stopped working. We took it for repair. Unfortunately again, the agency told us that they do not have a technician to repair it. Instead, they would send the car to Dubai to get the audio system repaired there and it would take 3-4 weeks to get it back. We asked if the agent will give us a car for our usage during the period of repair, but they refused. The car was returned to us. Navigation system, TV reception, and audio system are not working in our car. The agent did nothing to get our complaints solved. How can a GM sole agent in the country without a technician to repair the audio system and TV reception?
I have called dealers in my area, I have taken my SRX to the dealer and they cant find an issue and dont know of any recalls. If you drive an SRX at night you will experience the issue of NO LIGHTS on the dim option. I depend on the oncoming traffics headlights for me to see!!!! And Cadillac says thats my out of pocket expense, of course. They got their money and could care less about you so buying a caddy is just like buying another car when it comes to service. It isnt any different than buying a Kia. I will never buy another one!I have priced new bulbs with supposedly brighter output for a mere 99.00 and National Customer Service said unfortunately that would be my issue and expense, no recalls, no help, no nothing! You can read online hundreds of the same complaint, year after year and a settlement was done in Calif. and Florida only. Cadillac is just another vehicle and the service is just another service you will pay for.
The CTS is a large car that handles adroitly, quietly and with some spunk, even if it only has a 2.0 Turbo. It does require Premium fuel, but I get ~ 22 mpg driving mostly around town and > 30 mpg on the highway. P.S. It also has pizzaz styling!!!
I leased a brand new 2013 Cadillac ATS, four cylinder 2.0 turbo. According to Cadillac the fuel consumption is 21/31. That is a lie! I have 10,000 miles on the car after a year and I am getting about 18 miles per gallon. Best I ever got was 22 going from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando, all highway. They simply lied to the consumers. The government needs to step in and fine them. If there is a class action lawsuit on this, I would like to join!
I have a 2009 Cadillac SRX AWD Sport (top of the line!). The sticker was for $52,170. It is the most expensive piece of crap I have ever purchased. But I am stuck with it because the CARFAX and Repair history, basically, makes it non-tradable or sellable. This car has been in the shop about every 2 1/2 weeks over the 2 years I have owned it. 46 issues have been fixed or replaced. I called Cadillac Customer Service for help. I was assigned a District Rep, who does not call me back, and never answers his phone when I call. He has been dodging me for over a month now. I want my B2B warranty extended to cover the stuff that keeps falling off, because I only have 3k miles left on the factory B2B, and the extended GM warranty does not cover things like trim, vents, handles, doors, etc.The district rep said When you make as many cars as Cadillac, some of them are not going to be perfect and then proceeded to get me to hang up the phone. I have not gotten to speak with him since. I guess, once Cadillac has written you off, you are dust to them. The dealership has been wonderful but GM/Cadillac, not so much. Some of the things had to be argued to get it fixed.
So what is Cadillac going to do. Reputation is going down the drain. Price is not. Everyone I know is experiencing issues with this expensive technology but without answers from the company. I have had 4 SRX models in 12 years. No issue till now. Told back order on queue. This part is purchased from someone other than Cadillac. Told they have no control. HELP ConsumerAffairs. Why has there not been formal recall and pressure applied!
Was happy to purchase previously owned 2013 Cadillac SRX in November 2016. Also purchased extended warranty. Wish I would have done more homework before this purchase though now in hindsight viewing the many complaints about the touchscreen CUE is so disheartening. I, like many others, have a touchscreen that wont work even after hard reset attempts per GM instructions. Waiting a week before I can even get into the dealership for this issue. Learning this is not covered in warranty, even extended is sickening. There should be a class action against Cadillac for this faulty part placed in my vehicle. As soon as I pay this car off no more GM or Cadillac cars for me! They have lost my trust.
Im lucky to have this car. Its a regular sedan - two in the front and two in the back. It looks great and the design is top notch. Its attractive and sleek. I get compliments from other people, too. I cant complain. There are other cars with more seats and they have all kinds of sedans and crossovers to choose from. And there are different versions of these cars. If you have the money you can upgrade to make the car flashier but its expensive. You can go from the Cadillac CTS to the coupe.
My company, Yellow Cab, owns a 2003 Cadillac Deville, vin#**, that needs a lower control arm, GM part#25701173. I contacted the Cadillac dealer, Rimrock Auto, in Billings, MT parts dept (Jeff) **. He states that part is no longer made. It is now made by AC Delco. The problem is that part is not the same and does not fit. He suggested contacting Cadillac. Cindy at Cadillac said I had few options including a junk yard part. I said that would not be acceptable because of being a public transportation company safety is a concern. This car is out of service and costing money daily. Are they required to have new parts for 10 years or what? Thanks.
In Oct. 2009 I took my 2007 SRX in for engine light check/repair. In Nov 2009 I brought it in for 5 times, twice for December 2009, once on Jan. 2010, once in Feb. 2010, Mar. 2010, April 2010, Sept. 2010, Oct. 2010, twice in Nov. 2010, once in Dec 2010, and once in Jan. 2011. There are many more that I dont have a repair order detail for. The SRX was in the Miller (now Baker) service shop, most of 2011. At times, when the light would appear, I would stop in, and the service adviser would clear it, if it was the same codes. No repair order appeared. At present, the check engine light is on, and has been on since early Dec. 2011. I was told to drive it.During 2011, Leo from Cadillac customer service would frequently contact me. I gave him an update, but I saw no action to help resolve this repetitive problem. The district rep, Tom **, is not willing to work with me, and is thwarting any resolution. He is certainly staining the Cadillac reputation. Who is his boss? I want resolution! Is this the quality automobile that Cadillac advertises?
I had submitted a review in June after having been told by Cadillac that I was SOL regarding the issue I had with the OEM tires on my 2017 XT5. Fortunately, I complained to my dealer and told them I wouldn’t be back after my lease was up. The dealer intervened on my behalf with Cadillac and shockingly, they were successful where I had not been....I received a check for full reimbursement for the Continental tires I replaced the OEM Michelin tires with. According to the lady with the dealership that handles warranty issues, there should not have been an issue with Cadillac refusing my claim as there had been a Bulletin issued regarding the problem with the tires!! So...I have a decision to make....I’m happy with my dealer, but still unhappy with Cadillac! I will at least consider another Caddy, but not a slam dunk for me like it once was! I will also consider others as well! Remember when you bought a Cadillac knowing you were buying quality? Not so much anymore. One would think the manufacturer would figure that out. Regardless, I felt I should tell “the rest of the story”!
I have owned Cadillacs my whole life, used to be a good car back in the day, Now I think they are made in China. In my yard I have now a 2001 DTS, a 2006 DTS, a 2008 DTS and my latest a 2013 SRX4. I bought this car at TnT moros in Lumberton NC with 77k miles, bought it on a Saturday in Feb and on Monday the cue went out. Since then it has started to spiderweb so you cannot even read it. I have been a loyal Cadillac owner for over 50 years but I am done now. I will start looking for an Acura. Anyone interested in my Cadillac collection, let me know. I will sell them all very cheap.
My Cadillac has been a large amount of annoyance due to constant breakdowns due to poor quality and dealer service. As a Senior Citizen I would not recommend this automobile to anyone as it is not dependable and most likely will get you to your destination. I have written Cadillac Motors, I have called them, the go ho-hum and go back to screw another customer. Walmart has much better customer service. My case number is **.
Exhaust noise: I bought a new 2012 CTS. When I get on it a little bit just before it shifts gears, it makes a sound that sounds like all the baffles in the muffler or cat is going to fall out. I took it my dealer, and they hear it also. They took another 2012 CTS, and it does the same thing. I got a case number from GM. They told me there was nothing they could do. I have had 5-6 people tell me that the car sounds like it is falling apart when I step on it. The dealer hears, and GM knows about it and will not do anything. What do I need to do to get some results? I did not buy a new $45,000.00 car to have something that sounds like it is falling apart. I am not bad-mouthing the dealer, they have done everything they can at this time. Have you heard of this? According to GM, all CTSs might do this? Im trying to find anyone who can tell GM how to fix this. Thank you.
Cadillac has a great selection of sports cars. Srx, escalade, SUV, luxury sedan and many forms of passenger cars that will outperform their fellow cars in their class. It has a sleek design and quality craftsmanship, stylish and super sport. The style of a Cadillac and its components are second to none. Also, it has quality driving controls and interior design and has many choices for upgrade, including 4x4 and leather and sport trims. While riding in the Cadillac the passenger feels quite comfortable in climate control and personal comfort choices. Also, room and comfort are extremely pronounced in these models.
The Cadillac SUV is the biggest on the market, and the room is outstanding for a large family or if you have to ride with a team or group. There is also no need to update this SUV because it has everything you want in a SUV. It is great on and off the road, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes big trucks .For the price, you cant beat it. It is the best for the money. And for resale, it is the best you can have.
I really love it. It has a great deal of variety. Appearance is very cool and the painting is very shiny and sparkly. I love the leather seats and stuff. It has a good feel to it. The passenger capacity is very large depending how you put down. You choose it to be up eight cars seats for many. The upgrades on the car is very nice too and you can get upgrade at a local store. I also really like the motor.
I purchased a Cadillac SRX and was very excited at the time. Little did I know I was fixing to have regrets. Cadillac used to have a great reputation but not anymore. I have a car that only has 49000 miles. Bought it brand new and its been in service dept 3 times each time for a week for their poor craftsmanship. They could care less how long you go without a vehicle. Will not provide a loaner. I know friends with a Lexus, BMW get loaners and treated like they care. The problem is Cadillacs faulty design in the sunroof water cant drain properly so it runs into the car shorting out electrical. This happened not once but twice. Now I cant see at night unless my lights are on bright because of anther faulty design. Headlight covers retain moisture and become faded and cloudy. A class action lawsuit is ongoing but they are telling me I have to pay $1000 out of my pocket. I dont Think so. When I wreck because of this a lawsuit will be placed on Cadillac. They cant pick and choose who they will take care of. As Im typing this my car sits in the service dept while they dont care. Johnson motor co wont even call back. I may as well bought a cheap piece of **. It wouldnt have been any worse but better. I wouldnt have paid as much to be SCREWED!
Bought my XT5 in December of 2020. It has been the worst thing I could have done. I traded my Lexus and I am so disappointed in Cadillac. I took it in 3 times for them to try and fix, Parking Brake, All wheel drive system, StabiliTrak, steering assist. My dash was lit up like a Christmas tree only to find out after 3 times there was a corroded wiring harness and then a bad camera. After all of that, I had a flood under my gas pedal that soaked over to the passenger side too, so I took it in a fourth time. This vehicle stalled on me driving south bound Interstate 75. I have called Cadillac customer service 3 times to report this safety issue and they have not bothered to call me back. Shame on Cadillac on the lack of response to a serious safety concern! Really regret trading my Lexus. Dont buy Cadillac!!!! They clearly do not care about safety concerns.
Its no big surprise that the 3.6 liter is one of the biggest turds in the industry. Another piece of European junk passed off as an American product. Ive been an auto tech for 20 years now and it hurts my heart to see what Cadillac has become. Im not the typical retiree caddy driver either, in fact Im not even 40 yet, but Ive loved Cadillac since I can remember. My dad had a 77 Eldorado when I was a kid and I absolutely loved that car. I know people like to crap on the Northstar, but Ive found that when taken care of, theyre incredibly reliable. I bought an 02 Deville back in 2012 when my son was born. It had 48k on it, and I drove it another 40k without any engine problems at all. Then a couple weeks ago some jerk decided to run a red light and total it out. During my 4 years, the only things I did were a couple wheel bearings, window regulators, a fuel level sensor and a intermediate steering shaft. That car was dead nuts reliable and never gave me a major problem. Now I will say that the 4.6 does not like to be overheated, and it does like to leak oil at the pan gasket. In one of GMs more head up the butt engineering feats, they ran the exhaust directly under the oil pan, so theres no way to drop the pan without engine removal...Brilliant. Now I would recommend the 2000-2005 Devilles because compared to other caddys, theyre inexpensive to fix. After 2005, forget it. Youre talking $1,200 headlight assemblies, bumper removal to change a headlight, cheap peanut brittle dashboard material, a fail prone drive-by-wire throttle system and a slew of TPM issues. Id never buy one. Id also never buy any GM vehicle with the Opel 3.6 liter. Its built in hell, by Satan and his minions. The Camaro also has it...Barf. Any of the newer caddys are electrical nightmares, and theres just something about a turbo charged, 4 banger in a Cadillac that doesnt sit well with me. Cadillacs need a big old V8. I cant justify over $80,000 for a motor thats also in all GMs rental car fodder. Cadillac is no longer the cadillac old timers remember. Theyre trying to compete with BMW and Mercedes, and now theyve succeeded because their products are just as crappy. As a final thought: I loved my Cadillac to death, BUT when I couldnt find another one that was clean enough and not beat to heck, I bought a 2000 Jag XJ8 Vanden Plas with 36k on the clock. What a difference, makes my Cadillacs interior look like and old 80s Mazda. I realized then that for a $60,000 luxury car, the interior was really built like garbage. But overall I did love that car, and I was sad to see her go. I feel for all of you experiencing hatefulness and bad luck with your 3.6s. I tell anyone thinking of buying one to just forget it.
My parents purchased a Brand New 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe for me. Since I got it I have loved it. I feel just as proud to have my ATS as a Rolls Royce owner would be. There have been little issues here and there but that was all covered under warranty. The one major issue was a short in the wiring that effected my automatic window but again the car was under warranty. Since then nothing but regular maintenance! And I really just must say I know a lot of people out there are having trouble with the cost of repairs but I just don’t get it. Did you think Cadillac was a cheap car to repair!!?? Yes the key fob cost 200+ and yes the cue screen costs 1,200 to repair or replace I mean really people!!! My advice would be don’t get what you can’t afford. If you can’t afford repairs you have no business owning a luxury car from any manufacturer!!!!
This brand has a good selection of models to choose from whether it be 4 door, one, 2 door, or sports type car. I like to have a fun car and I like to buy something that gets my friends and family attention so having a Cadillac is a eye catcher within itself and I like that. The car is totally loaded and has everything a car seeker with prestige could ask for. Its style and easy to maneuver. The color is shiny and holds its coloring so when it is dirty it does not even look that bad. The system in the car sounds good for an manufacture system. I trust the brand and I like the way it flows when I drive it and the attention I get from driving the car. I love the cd player and I like being able to take along my phone and use it in my car to hear different tracks. I like that the model every year is adding different options for their customers to select from. Now this kind of car is not really for the whole family if you have a lot of children and even though I have the grandkids it is enough room for everyone to safely fit into without being squash.
Very Comfortable to ride in. The overall experience of a smooth ride. The seating is spacious. Body style is sleek and eye catching. Appreciation of the bose system produces a great sound. It handles very well over the road. The automation of the seat adjustment and the back lumbar gives you a more relaxed experience while driving. During the colder days to be able to heat the leather is rewarding.
Bought a 2016 CTs with 13,000 miles on it and almost 2 years of warranty left. CUE went out, transmission wouldnt shift properly (torque converter), 3 recalls, sun visor fell out of the headliner, not to mention the cabin rattled like an old junker that three dealerships tried to fix to no avail. I just dumped it with 1 month warranty left and bought a Honda. Cadillac is living off its name only, there is absolutely no longevity to these vehicles. Get out while you can.
BOUGHT 07 cts in 2010. At 34000 miles replaced 3 engine coils, fuel injection cleaned and replace all filters. In Sept of 2013 replaced radiator with hoses and Trans and water pump... In Jan 2014 replaced all 6 coils and plugs... now the recall for the airbag sensor was fixed in 2011 and has gone bad again and Im fighting with corporate to cover it again!!! $7000 later and they have the nerve to charge me 400. I told them, no you cover it, this has nothing to do with wear and tear. Not only that but 6 forums have said this is a problem around 80,000-85,000 miles, guess who has 81,000 me! The dealer is telling me to fight and not stop because they feel the same way I do! Corporate will not budge. I spoke to a lawyer who informed me since they are aware of the problem and refuse to warranty the sensor if I get into an accident I can sue the hell out them! Im 3 steps away from calling channel 7 news and channel 11... Its time Cadillac corporate gets put on blast! I have no problems showing receipts to show what kind of car I got stuck with! One more thing Cadi converter and power train and alternator was replaced also under warranty... This is by far the worst car anyone could own!!!!!!
Cadillac looks very luxurious and delightful. I enjoy the comfort it gives and the technology the most. Its very beautiful and simple yet evolutionary. I love the sleekness each model gives. It is so much different than others. Such as one is made for families while others may be made for romance or business. I do not often contain passengers in my car but when I do my guests seems to love it. My model may only carry 5 passengers but overall its great. The GPS is great and it gives such accurate information. I never get lost anymore. The speakers are crisp and clear and the airbags are regularly checked. I love how regular checks are free and so are the repairs.
My son was involved in an accident in my 2006 Cadillac STS in the mountains of Dahlonega, Georgia. The accident was an off the road incident where son lost control of the car and impacted several trees with the side and front of the vehicle. The impact was severe enough to push the front bumper back to the radiator and front frame rail. The airbag did not deploy, and OnStar did not notify us of the accident. Though my son made it out with just mild injuries, if he hadnt we may not have known of the accident for hours. OnStar claims that they have other sensors other than the ones on the airbag deployment system. From the degree of impact they should have be notified. The airbag problem seems to fairly prevalent and there are several complaints of the failure. IT happened to my car, could it happen to yours?
2013 Cadillac ATS, CUE unresponsive to touch. Same issue like all Cadillac models from 2013-2017, my infotainment screen doesnt respond to touch anymore. I cant even turn off the A/C. Such nice vehicles with terrible cheap materials. I did a horrible mistake in switching from Lincoln to Cadillac. At least Ford uses better materials and their technology does not fail as much as GM does.
High grade luxury truck that is just as good or better than the rest. Had a Nissan truck before this but it cannot measure up to an Escalade. Pretty much power everything - almost too much power I had to turn some of the stuff off such as the seat that moves back when you shut off the ignition. Picked up rugged ridge floor mats, upgrade the speakers which sucked and put on a hood protector. Do yourself a favor and get the fuses which light up when they go bad. Saves a lot of hunting around for the problem. Will fit 5 people in comfort for hundreds of miles at a time and also tow whatever you need to take to the countryside - truck is the best at doing this. Best truck I ever had.
The low beam headlights are so dim they are useless. New bulbs do not help. Forced to drive with high beams. Faulty designed headlights. Numerous complaints with NHTSA and Cadillac with no fix. Several lawsuits have been filed over the SRX headlight issue across the country. These cars are dangerous to drive at night.
It took me a while to just figure out what I was really looking for in a Cadillac because their cars were all good quality models. When I narrowed it down a bit, I still had trouble deciding other features of the car which were also varying. I got a sleek, classy DeVille in a dark blue color that isnt too flashy but still retains the prestige of a cadillac. It has a tan leather interior with heated seats as well as settings that can stored for up to 2 drivers. Its passenger capacity is up to 5 people with a driver, passenger seat, and 3 people in the back, although it might be a bit of tight squeeze, but that has not been an issue. The actual specs and parts of the car were not really a great concern of mine considering I wanted to keep the car the way it is for a while.
I bought a car from our agency in Dubai Liberty. They sell GM Motors cars. I bought a Cadillac CTS 2011 V6. In the beginning, the car is great and without any problem. It’s the best car I ever drove in my life and I gave it as a gift for my wife. She was more than happy to have a CTS. She drove it till the first service. We took it to the service in Dubai (Garhood branch). After the service by 3 weeks, we were coming from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and driving at normal speed of 130 km/h, then suddenly the we heard a bomb sound and a smoke coming from the engine. Thank God we stopped and no one crashed us from back. The street was full of oil from the damaged engine. We called the street help and then we took the car to the service at Garhood branch in Dubai. And after a day they called us and said, “Sorry, the engine is damaged. We will send an approval to GM mother company to change the engine. But we don’t want to repair it because it wasn’t our mistake.” The car must be changed and they ignored me. Kindly support me in this.
I have a 2006 Cadillac SRX. Its been a bottomless pit for ongoing repairs... Purchased with under 40K miles ... problems started immediately Within a month, CD player started not functioning properly (has Nav). Brought to the dealer. Repair: R + R head unit... cost $2500 + labor $2500...? You can buy a hell of a home stereo for a lot less!! All it needed was to have the laser aligned and it was replaced with some other unit from Cadillac (remember R & R no actual fixing here) so someone else has my used $2500 player that probably took about 2 minutes to realign the laser... What was I expecting for $2500?Very quickly found that the car uses a quart of oil about every 1000... Do you want to hear what the Cadillac tech told me when I asked him what should I do? He said, I recommend keeping a case of oil in the back - nice. The cars original sticker was $55K. The steering rack at 40K started to leak... R & R 1000 bucks later... brought home. Next morning, the AC Delco unit they put in leaked worse. They replaced it... Does that mean it was free?At 60K, the right front wheel bearings at $450. I cant tell you how many times Ive had to replace the right front directional at $125. Now I use my fist with a good glove and bash the directional and at least for a while it comes back on (Cadillac glove) - saves a few $100 every year. About 80K, the left front wheel bearing replaced... another $450 repair. Did you know some places on the road get almost $10 for a quart of synthetic Mobil One? Is that synthetic or pathetic? I lost track of how many quarts Ive added in 4 years...I actually had a pretty good stretch for awhile until last week... just turned 100k... Seems the timing chain loosened up, slipped a couple of teeth, valve spring broke, bent a valve and put a hole in the valve cover. $55K and the motor cant go 100K without detonating... As I write, the motor is apart waiting for GM parts (Please...cant we use some aftermarket parts instead?) This bill ought to be a whopper! Ive spent more money on this car for maintenance than the last 10 cars I have owned. Buy American? Buy GM? NEVER AGAIN.
I own a 2004 SRX Cadillac and had a problem since 9/11/11. I called and I was told that as far as recalls on this car, there were recalls, but not for my VIN. My beautiful car will not drive --possible drive chain problem that now has affected my cylinders. GM should repair this, they are the people who built this junker and if there is a problem with other 2004 SRXs with this, why is mine different? Im 69 and have kept my auto up. This is a fault from a shoddy workmanship and they should fix my problem. I cannot pay thousands to fix this car and owe $11 on it. GM, you should stand behind your customers.
I love the Cadillac SRX car. It rides nice, is very luxurious and affordable. It has a touchscreen control display, leather interior and a panoramic sunroof. Its American made and uses flex fuel which is cheaper and better for the environment. It also has a great stereo. However, it doesnt have air conditioned seats and it doesnt get great gas mileage. Im not thrilled with the color choices and would prefer more choices. It doesnt have a built-in DVD player as well.
My car has a Vin number that is described in the service campaign #99086. I have a blown head gasket and leaking coolant in the described campaign. Note none of the vin numbers described in the campaign have had formal recalls issued. My Vin numbers last 8 digits **. I have a work bench work history on my car from Cadillac. The campaign was issued in 2002. My car was never corrected. Miles on car is less than 80k. Northstar engine, Local Cadillac dealership in Bentonville, Arkansas states since no formal recall on my vin number they must get approval from their gm rep. Gm rep has called and denied the repair. I have filed service claim with Cadillac. Please help.
We purchased our Cadillac XT5 in Feb. 2017 for almost $64,000. We have been subscribers to SiriusXM since 2009. Shortly after purchasing the XT, we noticed that the radio dropped SXM channel 69. Returned car to dealer and they ran codes but could not find a problem. Returned the car a second time for the same problem with no luck. Radio also loses signal in supermarket and Lowes parking lots. I have a 2011 GMC Terrain, has never dropped a signal Suspect XT radio or the antenna.Returned the car a third time and was given a loaner with the same radio. That radio also dropped SXM 69, 7 and 71. I returned the loaner. Sent letter to Cadillac customer assistance explaining the problem. Requested a written response, nope. I never got. Several days get phone call and was told to call SXM. Another refresh sent. Next day my wife goes to the market, drives in the parking lot, no signal. Florida does have lemon law. I would prefer Cadillac solve their problem. My patience is wearing thin.
Cadillac cts 2007 - The transmission lines entering the radiator disconnected from the radiator causing a loss of transmission fluids. Is there a recall on this?
I bought a 2014 Cadillac in early 2017, fresh off of a 2 year lease with just under 17,000 miles on it. It was my dream to own a Cadillac so I finally took the plunge. Ive lovingly babied it, its literally been used only for trips as I work from home. 18 months later, the CUE is out at a cost of $1500 and something about some hub things that wear out in the front causing the car to sound like it is revving all the time. Total cost to get my barely 3 year old car with 37000 miles on it fixed? $2800. Im getting it fixed and going to trade it in on a Kia. Sorry Cadillac, my family has been GM for 4 generations, but Im done. I wish I had read the reviews on the CUEs and GMs lack of response to their failure before my purchase.
